on the handsome part. Pretty little episode.

• 1:50Tig Notaro?

Well, well, well, all three of our handsome faces together.

• 1:54Fortune Feimster?

  Aww.

• 1:55Tig Notaro?

  On a pretty little episode.

• 1:58Fortune Feimster?

  All is well.

• 1:59Tig Notaro?

  We've reunited.

• 2:02Fortune Feimster?

  That's right, May.

• 2:03Tig Notaro?

  Feels so good.

• 2:05Fortune Feimster?

  Yes.

• 2:08Tig Notaro?

  Oh, my Lord.

• 2:10Fortune Feimster?

This is a special pretty little episode because we're about-

• 2:14Tig Notaro?

  Fortune has a headset on.

• 2:15Fortune Feimster?

I have a headset on. Can I take your order? But we're closing out one year and heading into another. How do you guys feel about that?

• 2:31Mae Martin?

I feel really good about it, really good. Apparently numerologically, the next year is a goodie.

• 2:40Fortune Feimster?

  Oh, that's good.

• 2:41Tig Notaro?

Wait, for you or for everyone?

• 2:43Mae Martin?

For me, sorry, just for me.

• 2:44Tig Notaro?

  Oh, for you, okay.

• 2:46Mae Martin?

  Yeah.

• 2:47Tig Notaro?

  What's on the horizon?

• 2:48Mae Martin?

  Yeah.

• 2:48Tig Notaro?

  How do you, yeah.

• 2:49Mae Martin?

This psychic said a lot of, a lot of growth, a lot of expansion. And yeah, because I was like, oh, I think I'm just going to be like nesting, settling down. She was like, no, next year, 2025 is a big, fun year, crazy travel, growth. And then she said, 2026, that's when you're nesting.

• 3:09Tig Notaro?

  Wow.

• 3:10Mae Martin?

  Yeah.

• 3:11Tig Notaro?

  Okay, little bird.

• 3:13Mae Martin?

  Yeah, you know me.

• 3:15Tig Notaro?

  That's our little bird.

• 3:17Fortune Feimster?

Spread my wings and fly in.

• 3:19Tig Notaro?

  And but then nesting.

• 3:21Mae Martin?

  And then nesting.

• 3:22Tig Notaro?

  That's, that's the little bird.

• 3:24Mae Martin?

I bet, I bet next year is going to be great for you guys, too.

• 3:28Fortune Feimster?

  We'll see. I haven't been to a psychic yet.

• 3:31Tig Notaro?

Wait, why do you, why do you bet that next year is going to be great for us? Are you just trying to be positive?

• 3:36Fortune Feimster?

  I think so.

• 3:37Mae Martin?

Yeah, I just feel bad being like, being the only one who's gonna flap my wings.

• 3:42Tig Notaro?

  Sore.

• 3:43Mae Martin?

  Sore.

• 3:44Fortune Feimster?

We don't know, we don't know what's in store for us. Today, I have yet to see a psychic.

• 3:48Tig Notaro?

  No, but we should together.

• 3:50Mae Martin?

  We should.

• 3:53Mae Martin?

Please, the psychic will be there trying to figure out what your relationship is.

• 3:58Fortune Feimster?

We found your Groupon for the two for one psychic greeting.

• 4:03Mae Martin?

Okay, and are you two, are you two a couple? I know we're podcast co-hosts. Not yet.

• 4:10Tig Notaro?

  You tell us.

• 4:11Fortune Feimster?

We're a podcast couple. We're actually in a throuple. Our other one has already been, so.

• 4:20Fortune Feimster?

We'd like to know, are we soaring?

• 4:22Mae Martin?

  Yeah.

• 4:23Fortune Feimster?

I always like a new year, you know? You you shed the last, this year is has been good and positive for the most part. Couple little hiccups here and there, but I still like the freshness of a of a new situation.

• 4:38Mae Martin?

Me too. I hate the pressure of resolutions, though. I don't do all that.

• 4:42Tig Notaro?

I do them throughout the year.

• 4:44Mae Martin?

  Yeah, yeah, that's smart.

• 4:45Tig Notaro?

  Yeah.

• 4:46Mae Martin?

Every morn with your morning coffee.

• 4:48Tig Notaro?

  I haven't been drinking coffee.

• 4:50Mae Martin?

  Really?

• 4:50Tig Notaro?

  Yeah.

• 4:51Fortune Feimster?

  So healthy.

• 4:52Tig Notaro?

I've gotten really into my morning smoothie that I just, I don't even remember. I just don't even want coffee. Every now and then, like, I had some coffee yesterday, but I can't believe how much it like kicked me off coffee. It's weird. Very bizarre.

• 5:07Mae Martin?

Have you guys ever had like a really electric New Year's countdown kiss?

• 5:12Tig Notaro?

  Oh, good question. Hmm.

• 5:15Mae Martin?

  With each other?

• 5:15Tig Notaro?

I mean, with my wife, I'm sure, of course. So many electric kisses where our mouths are sparking.

• 5:23Fortune Feimster?

New Year's Eve, in my opinion, is always kind of anticlimactic. It's all this buildup and then you're like, five, four, three, two, one, yes.

• 5:34Mae Martin?

  Yeah.

• 5:35Fortune Feimster?

  It's here. We're still.

• 5:38Tig Notaro?

Yeah, it feels like you're about to lift off, but you don't.

• 5:42Fortune Feimster?

Yeah. So if you had an electric kiss, I guess that would be a nice cherry on top, but

• 5:48Fortune Feimster?

usually Jack's not have a smooch and, you know, she shoves a strawberry in her face. I shove a macaroni or whatever is nearby me in my face.

• 5:57Tig Notaro?

Wait, why a strawberry and a macaroni?

• 6:00Fortune Feimster?

That feels very New Year's Eve, like.

• 6:03Tig Notaro?

Does it? A strawberry in the mouth?

• 6:06Fortune Feimster?

No, like a chocolate covered strawberry.

• 6:08Tig Notaro?

Well, you didn't add that. It's like, and then she, you know, of course, has a prune. And then we're in the new year.

• 6:18Fortune Feimster?

It just feels very New Year's Eve. I don't like strawberries, so that's not on my plate. That's why I was trying to scramble to think of a different dessert.

• 6:26Tig Notaro?

I totally understand. I just, you have to mention the chocolate dipped strawberry, not.

• 6:31Fortune Feimster?

You're you're right. You're right. I left that that important part out.

• 6:35Tig Notaro?

  So important.

• 6:37Tig Notaro?

And then we have a handful of grapes. We kiss.

• 6:41Fortune Feimster?

The grapes are a tradition in Spain.

• 6:44Tig Notaro?

  For New Year's?

• 6:45Fortune Feimster?

Yeah, when it hits, they have a whole thing where you go into like the, they do like public.

• 6:52Tig Notaro?

  She's flapping her arms.

• 6:54Fortune Feimster?

I'm flapping my arms like May soaring, but also you can do it at home and they hand out a bag of 12 grapes and at midnight, like a clock rings every like how many over seconds and you pop a grape in your mouth.

• 7:09Tig Notaro?

That's a lot of grapes for.

• 7:10Fortune Feimster?

  It's a lot of grapes.

• 7:12Tig Notaro?

  That's dangerous.

• 7:13Fortune Feimster?

Yeah, but it's their tradition. I did it in Barcelona.

• 7:17Tig Notaro?

I've never noticed your accent before.

• 7:19Fortune Feimster?

  Only when I say Barcelona.

• 7:22Tig Notaro?

I thought, yeah, I thought you were Australian.

• 7:24Fortune Feimster?

That is their tradition. So I don't know, look it up, try it.

• 7:28Mae Martin?

You know, in Japan, at New Year's, people get a bowl of warm soba noodles. That's how you bring.

• 7:35Tig Notaro?

Are you guys making things up right now?

• 7:38Mae Martin?

No, I swear. Bowl of warm noodles in Japan.

• 7:42Fortune Feimster?

  I'm not making mine up.

• 7:43Mae Martin?

  That's why I read that that's a tradition.

• 7:45Tig Notaro?

  Okay.

• 7:46Fortune Feimster?

I shoved 12 grapes in my mouth.

• 7:49Tig Notaro?

And now it's a tradition in Barcelona.

• 7:53Fortune Feimster?

  I believe it's pronounced Barcelona.

• 7:57Tig Notaro?

How do you say razor blades in?

• 8:00Fortune Feimster?

Oh, I did get corrected on that.

• 8:02Tig Notaro?

  It's rise up.

• 8:03Fortune Feimster?

  Yes.

• 8:04Tig Notaro?

  Yeah.

• 8:04Fortune Feimster?

Oh, I see, I see. My bad.

• 8:07Tig Notaro?

  Yeah.

• 8:07Fortune Feimster?

It's rise up, rise up, rise up lights, not raise up lights.

• 8:12Tig Notaro?

  Rise up lights.

• 8:13Fortune Feimster?

Either works. But thank you to our lovely listeners for pointing that out multiple times.

• 8:19Tig Notaro?

Okay, but how do you say rise up lights in Spanish?

• 8:23Fortune Feimster?

  Rise up lights.

• 8:28Mae Martin?

How do you say, how do you say paella?

• 8:30Fortune Feimster?

Paella. I guess I just said it. Yeah, in that one. So you can just say it normal.

• 8:34Tig Notaro?

  Paella.

• 8:35Fortune Feimster?

Yeah. It's the thing with the this thing.

• 8:39Tig Notaro?

  A lift?

• 8:41Fortune Feimster?

Sumo de piña. Gracias. Yeah, I mean, anyway, enough about that. Guys, we have to answer some questions.

• 8:49Tig Notaro?

  We sure do.

• 8:50Mae Martin?

I really forgot that we were doing that. Yeah, let's do that.

• 8:53Tig Notaro?

Did you think we were all just meeting on Zoom to hang out?

• 8:55Mae Martin?

  Yes, kind of. Yeah.

• 8:57Fortune Feimster?

We're just checking in. Let's do it.

• 8:59Mae Martin?

  Yeah.

• 9:00Fortune Feimster?

  Hello, handsome. It's.

• 9:02Mae Martin?

Jen from just east of Toronto. Hey. Uh, my question for you is if there was a movie made about your life, what are three songs that would be included on the soundtrack?

• 9:17Fortune Feimster?

  Three?

• 9:18Mae Martin?

  That's.

• 9:19Fortune Feimster?

  Whoa.

• 9:20Tig Notaro?

Well, I would definitely have that song. Story of my life. Yes.

• 9:25Fortune Feimster?

That's a good one. One Direction.

• 9:26Mae Martin?

Oh my God, I didn't know that you were into that song.

• 9:28Fortune Feimster?

  No idea.

• 9:29Mae Martin?

  My karaoke song.

• 9:30Tig Notaro?

  I love that song.

• 9:31Mae Martin?

  Me too.

• 9:32Tig Notaro?

I love it and I can't play cool about it.

• 9:36Mae Martin?

  Yeah.

• 9:36Tig Notaro?

So that's gonna be in my movie.

• 9:38Fortune Feimster?

  Look at you.

• 9:39Mae Martin?

The best part is where it kind of breaks down. It gets quiet and then it, and then Zayn sort of breaks it down. Story of my life.

• 9:47Tig Notaro?

I don't know it well enough to, you know.

• 9:50Mae Martin?

  To name the boys?

• 9:52Tig Notaro?

No, no. In fact, I didn't even know Harry Styles is in One Direction until recently. But I love that song.

• 9:59Mae Martin?

  Okay.

• 10:00Fortune Feimster?

  Good song.

• 10:00Mae Martin?

  That's maybe opening credits.

• 10:02Tig Notaro?

  Oh, and then.

• 10:03Mae Martin?

  Oh.

• 10:05Tig Notaro?

I can't decide. There would have to be an Indigo Girls song in there.

• 10:09Mae Martin?

  Hundred percent.

• 10:10Fortune Feimster?

  Get out the map?

• 10:11Tig Notaro?

Cause it would be like Tig, and then Tig traveled from Colorado.

• 10:15Fortune Feimster?

  Get out the map.

• 10:16Tig Notaro?

Get out the map. Get out the map and it's you in a car.

• 10:24Tig Notaro?

Oh yeah, there'd have to be an Indigo Girl. Uh, but also Pretenders.

• 10:28Mae Martin?

Pretend, you can have all three. You could have, you could go.

• 10:31Fortune Feimster?

I can't think of one song. You've already got five.

• 10:33Tig Notaro?

Willie Nelson. There would have to, Ray Charles.

• 10:37Mae Martin?

  Okay.

• 10:37Tig Notaro?

You don't know me. Oh, that would have to be in there. Just like right when you're falling for somebody.

• 10:43Mae Martin?

  Oh, yeah. Nice.

• 10:44Fortune Feimster?

  Ah.

• 10:45Mae Martin?

Okay. So that's like, maybe you meet Stephanie. Yeah.

• 10:49Fortune Feimster?

  Or when I met Fortune.

• 10:50Mae Martin?

  Yeah.

• 10:51Fortune Feimster?

  My life partner.

• 10:55Mae Martin?

Okay, mine would be when I'm, right when I'm born, I want, um, breathe Pink Floyd, I think, or, or I want, you know that, you know the Black Sabbath song that's like, bong, and then he goes, what is this I see before me? I want that, like, I'm a baby and I open my eyes for the first time and I look around, I'm like, what the fuck?

• 11:18Fortune Feimster?

  Oh.

• 11:19Mae Martin?

Um, and then I think I want, um, Spice Girls, I don't know, like, uh-

• 11:25Fortune Feimster?

Colors of the world, I get it.

• 11:27Mae Martin?

  Yeah.

• 11:28Fortune Feimster?

  Spice up your life.

• 11:30Mae Martin?

Yeah, maybe, maybe Benny, I mean Benny and the Jets is my favorite song of all time.

• 11:35Fortune Feimster?

  That's a good one, too.

• 11:36Mae Martin?

  Yeah, maybe my team.

• 11:38Fortune Feimster?

  Like an Elton John.

• 11:39Mae Martin?

Yeah, or maybe, what if I picked really filth, filthy, you know, Nine Inch Nails? I want to fuck you like an animal.

• 11:48Fortune Feimster?

Oh, yeah. On the day you're born? I could see that. No, that's later. No, that's later. That's later. Cut, cut, no. This doesn't fit.

• 11:59Tig Notaro?

You know what? I also, just to be on the nose, I want Gladys Knight's, what is the name of the song? If anyone should ever write my life story.

• 12:08Mae Martin?

Oh, yeah, okay. Yeah, you're picking very-

• 12:10Tig Notaro?

Well, I want to pick the ones that are talking about life story.

• 12:14Fortune Feimster?

I like Gladys Knight. I would do Midnight Train to Georgia, but then I'd be like, and, you know, when I moved to LA, LA, prove too much for the man.

• 12:24Mae Martin?

  Yes.

• 12:25Fortune Feimster?

Too much for the man. And then I would come back and go, I'm actually from North Carolina, but you guys get.

• 12:29Tig Notaro?

Wait, can we, can we do Gladys Knight right now? Where you sing Gladys and, and I'll do the pips?

• 12:35Fortune Feimster?

  Okay.

• 12:36Mae Martin?

  Uh, what do I do?

• 12:37Fortune Feimster?

LA, prove too much for the man. Too much for the man.

• 12:45Mae Martin?

  This was your idea.

• 12:47Fortune Feimster?

So he's leaving a life he-

• 12:50Tig Notaro?

I'm forgetting which one is the pips.

• 12:52Fortune Feimster?

He's coming home. He's leaving, leaving. On a midnight train to Georgia.

• 13:00Tig Notaro?

  Leaving on a midnight train.

• 13:02Fortune Feimster?

Said he's going back. Going back to find. Going back to find. Well, it's some, some, some, some.

• 13:09Tig Notaro?

  This isn't going well.

• 13:11Fortune Feimster?

  This is really bawling.

• 13:15Fortune Feimster?

I know you will. That's what I wanted to do is the, I know you will.

• 13:20Mae Martin?

  Right.

• 13:21Fortune Feimster?

We're working on it. We're working on it.

• 13:22Tig Notaro?

Yeah, yeah, yeah. We're almost there.

• 13:24Fortune Feimster?

Maybe at one of our live shit, next live shows.

• 13:27Tig Notaro?

  Yeah, we'll have it down.

• 13:28Mae Martin?

You know what I want? When I arrive on the planet, I want Circle of Life from The Lion King.

• 13:34Tig Notaro?

  That's a good one.

• 13:35Mae Martin?

From the day we set foot on the planet. Yeah, I want Allstate and John.

• 13:40Fortune Feimster?

Have you guys exhausted enough? I feel like there's like eight songs in here.

• 13:43Tig Notaro?

Yeah, okay. Yeah, let's hear, let's hear her answer.

• 13:46Fortune Feimster?

Maybe, oh wait, I can add another song if you want.

• 13:50Mae Martin?

  Yeah, let's do it.

• 13:50Tig Notaro?

Not Button, Joe the Button Maker.

• 13:52Fortune Feimster?

No, maybe Brandy Carlisle, The Story.

• 13:56Tig Notaro?

  Of course.

• 13:57Mae Martin?

  Okay.

• 13:59Fortune Feimster?

That's enough. I did Gladys Knight, that's a good one. And then maybe a Celine Dion song. New day.

• 14:12Fortune Feimster?

Checking Allstate first could save you hundreds on car insurance. Not checking that I've got a little snack with me before I leave the house? My stomach and I are grumbling. I thought I'd be able to grab a bite in between meetings, but now it's getting late and I could really use a candy bar.

• 14:27Mae Martin?

Yeah, checking first is handsome, so check Allstate first for an auto quote. It could save you hundreds. You're in good hands with Allstate. Potential savings vary, subject to terms, conditions, and availability. Allstate North American Insurance Company and affiliates, Northbrook, Illinois.

• 14:42Fortune Feimster?

  All right.

• 14:42Tig Notaro?

  Okay.

• 14:42Fortune Feimster?

  What do we answer?

• 14:43Tig Notaro?

  Jen's answer.

• 14:44Speaker 04

My first song would be Lose Yourself by Eminem.

• 14:49Fortune Feimster?

  Oh my God.

• 14:50Speaker 04

The song playing right before I won a really big championship in women's box lacrosse with my team.

• 14:58Fortune Feimster?

  Nice.

• 14:58Speaker 04

The second one would be Van Morrison's Into the Mystic.

• 15:03Fortune Feimster?

  Yes.

• 15:03Tig Notaro?

  Sure.

• 15:04Speaker 04

The third one would be from a Belgian band called Kay's Choice. And it would be the song Believe.

• 15:12Tig Notaro?

That's amazing. Kay's Choice. That's a blast from the past. Well, thanks for your question and answer, Jen.

• 15:19Mae Martin?

  Thanks, Jen.

• 15:19Tig Notaro?

  That was fun. All right.

• 15:21Fortune Feimster?

  What's next?

• 15:22Tig Notaro?

  One.

• 15:23Speaker 05

Hey, handsome. I'm AJ. I'm from Maryland. First of all, love the podcast. I love each of you all. And the podcast kind of gives us a little bit of insight into your personal lives outside of the stage and film. So I just love the podcast. I hope you all keep going.

• 15:42Mae Martin?

Um, but my question is kind of based on Tig because I'm a fan and when I describe her to other people, I'll usually say, oh, she's like the female version of Larry David. And generally people will get it. So I'm curious if you all have been described as either another comedian or just someone with a huge personality that we would all know. And did you agree or you're like, no, that's not me. Like Tig, do you think you're the female version of Larry David?

• 16:15Fortune Feimster?

  Do you think that?

• 16:16Tig Notaro?

  That is hilarious.

• 16:18Fortune Feimster?

  He's a more curmudgeonly.

• 16:19Tig Notaro?

Yeah, yeah. I mean, I know I have, you know, I don't know what it is outside of my personality where I'll.

• 16:25Fortune Feimster?

  Be a curmudgeon?

• 16:26Tig Notaro?

  I, but I, I don't think I'm curmudgeonly. I think I'm just dry, you know?

• 16:31Mae Martin?

  Yeah.

• 16:32Tig Notaro?

I mean, I can see, I can see that that would be like kind of a.

• 16:38Mae Martin?

But you, you don't get worked up like him, like you're not, you don't have that kind of manic.

• 16:43Tig Notaro?

Yeah, I don't get, I'm more like, this is really.

• 16:48Mae Martin?

  Yeah.

• 16:48Tig Notaro?

Yeah. Let me, um, think this through here.

• 16:52Fortune Feimster?

  And not as neurotic.

• 16:53Tig Notaro?

No, I don't feel neurotic at all.

• 16:56Mae Martin?

I mean, do you ever, or, or maybe?

• 16:58Tig Notaro?

  So maybe she's wrong.

• 17:01Fortune Feimster?

I think we answered that one.

• 17:04Mae Martin?

Did you guys ever have in the early days, like before you kind of had your own, like I used, I, I mean, still I will just get compared to any gay comic. Like any, or any like queer born female con, like it's just like, oh, Mae Martin's like, you know, like Ellen or Tig or, you know? I don't think we're that similar, but it's, that's like the lazy comparison. But also, I don't know. Uh, I get compared to inanimate objects a lot, like a lamp or a Q-tip.

• 17:34Tig Notaro?

  Oh.

• 17:34Mae Martin?

  You know?

• 17:35Tig Notaro?

Specifically those or are you just saying?

• 17:37Fortune Feimster?

  See you as a lamp.

• 17:38Tig Notaro?

  I can see a Q-tip.

• 17:40Mae Martin?

Yeah, those two came to mind that I've heard. And then also think, well, I told you, my co-star recently said I have mosquito energy or, you know, things, things like that, you know, weasel.

• 17:52Tig Notaro?

You know, May is like a Q-tip with mosquito energy.

• 17:55Mae Martin?

  Yeah, famously.

• 17:59Fortune Feimster?

I just usually get compared to any comic that's a larger size as I am. So they just kind of pack us all in together.

• 18:07Mae Martin?

  Yeah, lazy.

• 18:09Fortune Feimster?

I sometimes have in the, I, I don't, other than we have blonde hair and are, you know, kind of out there at times and some people have thought I was Bridget Everett.

• 18:20Mae Martin?

  Hmm, okay.

• 18:21Fortune Feimster?

  I've had people say, um.

• 18:23Mae Martin?

  You both sing.

• 18:24Fortune Feimster?

That they love my show. And I'm like, what, the podcast? And they're like, oh, no, the one on HBO. And I'm like, okay.

• 18:34Fortune Feimster?

I love Bridget, she's amazing, amazing, but we are so different.

• 18:38Tig Notaro?

It is funny when people come up and they'll go, oh, my God, I love your show. And then I'll say, what, what show? And they'll laugh at me and go, you're blah, blah, blah. And I'm like, well, that's not my only show. I have my podcast as a show, my stand up's a show, I'm on this TV show or what show? I'm, I'm showbiz, you know what I mean?

• 18:56Fortune Feimster?

I'm showbiz. Yeah. And when people congratulate me on whatever show I've been on and that I haven't been on, I'm just like, thanks.

• 19:08Tig Notaro?

Well, I'll tell you, I didn't say who people compared me to, which of course people say Tom Cruise as far as like looks and stuff. What I thought was interesting when I first dated Stephanie was I reminded her of Bob Dylan.

• 19:26Fortune Feimster?

  Hey. Interesting.

• 19:27Tig Notaro?

  You know what? So interesting.

• 19:29Mae Martin?

  I kind of get it.

• 19:32Fortune Feimster?

  I could, yeah.

• 19:33Tig Notaro?

  That's so funny.

• 19:34Fortune Feimster?

  Kind of see that.

• 19:34Mae Martin?

There's like, well, there, there's a phase of his life where he just, he's sort of, when he had no time for press and stuff and he was like in no direction home, kind of like he's just gone electric and he's kind of like, he's pretty cool. Yeah, I could, yeah, I see that.

• 19:48Tig Notaro?

I, yeah, I don't know. I'll have to ask more about it, like, um, uh, but those days are gone.

• 19:54Mae Martin?

Do you, do you think she means, cause your voice is like, yeah, good morning, Stephanie?

• 19:59Fortune Feimster?

  Good morning.

• 20:00Tig Notaro?

That's probably the best I could sing.

• 20:03Mae Martin?

  Yeah.

• 20:07Tig Notaro?

  That's good, May.

• 20:08Mae Martin?

  Thanks.

• 20:08Tig Notaro?

That was good. Yeah. Um, I love that question. Let's get one more before we, um, ski down.

• 20:14Fortune Feimster?

  Finish our prelude episode.

• 20:15Speaker 06

Hi Fortune, May and Tig. I'm a big fan. My name is Rachel from The Valley.

• 20:21Tig Notaro?

  What up?

• 20:22Speaker 06

I just got my first kitten. He's a little black and white tuxedo cat and I cannot for the life of me pick a name. I have a dog named Ziggy and the cat is his little brother, but I have no idea what to call him. Every three days I'm changing my mind. Would love your help. Thanks.

• 20:45Mae Martin?

It sounds like she's gonna cry.

• 20:47Tig Notaro?

Yeah, or like we woke her up. Maybe we should whisper.

• 20:51Fortune Feimster?

  He's like, oh.

• 20:53Tig Notaro?

  I'm gonna call it.

• 20:54Fortune Feimster?

  For my cat.

• 20:56Tig Notaro?

I had, my very first cat was a little tuxedo kitten. I got her when I was two and, um, I named her Stripe and, um, she didn't have a stripe on her, but I remember thinking that was a cat name.

• 21:14Mae Martin?

  Yeah, that's a good name.

• 21:15Tig Notaro?

I called her Stripe. So if you want to keep that tradition going and call your little tuxedo kitten Stripe, please do.

• 21:25Fortune Feimster?

  I have two suggestions.

• 21:26Mae Martin?

  Oh, great.

• 21:26Tig Notaro?

  Okay.

• 21:27Fortune Feimster?

Uh, I thought of Cookie from Black and White Cookies, you know?

• 21:31Mae Martin?

  Mm-hmm.

• 21:31Fortune Feimster?

So Cookie, uh, depend if it's a girl.

• 21:35Mae Martin?

  Yeah.

• 21:35Fortune Feimster?

And because I, when I think of tuxedos, I think of fancy, fancy.

• 21:40Tig Notaro?

Or handsome, a tuxedo. Oh my God. What do you mean fancy? Handsome.

• 21:48Fortune Feimster?

I didn't even think of handsome.

• 21:51Fortune Feimster?

I was thinking of Reba, Reba McIntyre, fancy.

• 21:55Tig Notaro?

  Fancy. What was her name?

• 21:57Fortune Feimster?

  May, what's yours?

• 21:58Mae Martin?

When I think of tuxedos, I think of like putting on the ritz. So maybe ritz, maybe ritz.

• 22:03Fortune Feimster?

  Ooh, ritz.

• 22:04Mae Martin?

Yeah, maybe Penguin, but, or something, or, but then also, um, I really, oh, who wears the tux? Whoever's hosting the office. Oscars, call it.

• 22:14Fortune Feimster?

  Oscar.

• 22:14Mae Martin?

  Oscar.

• 22:15Fortune Feimster?

  Interesting.

• 22:17Mae Martin?

  I love it.

• 22:17Fortune Feimster?

  Brains go.

• 22:18Mae Martin?

  Yeah.

• 22:19Fortune Feimster?

I feel like we really gave this person a lot to work with.

• 22:23Tig Notaro?

  Lot of names.

• 22:24Fortune Feimster?

Hopefully she can go back to sleep.

• 22:26Tig Notaro?

Mm hmm. Yeah, get some rest.

• 22:28Fortune Feimster?

Sleep well. Rachel, hopefully you can go back to sleep and um just.

• 22:34Tig Notaro?

  Snuggle in with uh Oscar.

• 22:37Fortune Feimster?

  Oscar.

• 22:37Tig Notaro?

  Uh handsome.

• 22:39Fortune Feimster?

  Handsome Oscar.

• 22:40Mae Martin?

Fancy stripe cookie. There's is there anything, is there like a combination of the three of our names? Like, how would you, if you were gonna ship us, for instance?

• 22:49Tig Notaro?

  Like a Hollywood throuple.

• 22:51Mae Martin?

  Yeah.

• 22:52Tig Notaro?

  Like.

• 22:54Fortune Feimster?

Now I'm listening. Let's go back to that psychic as a throuple.

• 22:59Mae Martin?

  Matif- Matiffo.

• 23:01Tig Notaro?

  T.

• 23:01Mae Martin?

  Matiffo.

• 23:02Fortune Feimster?

  Matiffo.

• 23:03Tig Notaro?

  Fo.

• 23:04Fortune Feimster?

  Where's the fo?

• 23:06Mae Martin?

  Fortune.

• 23:06Fortune Feimster?

What, I mean, what is fortune?

• 23:08Mae Martin?

  Uh, she's called Fortune.

• 23:10Tig Notaro?

  Okay, Matiffo.

• 23:11Mae Martin?

  Uh, or.

• 23:13Tig Notaro?

We're just petering out, like mumbled Matiffo.

• 23:18Fortune Feimster?

That's what happens at the end of the year.

• 23:19Tig Notaro?

  That's right.

• 23:20Fortune Feimster?

You're tired. You're really tired trying to name your throuple.

• 23:26Mae Martin?

  Yeah, it's exhausting.

• 23:27Fortune Feimster?

I mean, what a treat. This is always a fun time. I love doing the, the one on ones with you guys on the pretty little episodes. Cause uh, you know, it's just a, a fun vibe there, but I always love it when we're together too.

• 23:39Tig Notaro?

  Yes.

• 23:40Mae Martin?

  Me too.

• 23:40Fortune Feimster?

This is the best way to head out of the new year.

• 23:43Mae Martin?

  Absolutely.

• 23:44Fortune Feimster?

  Head into the new year.

• 23:45Mae Martin?

  Yeah.

• 23:46Fortune Feimster?

Whatever. Blast off. Well, just really appreciate everybody who listens to our pod and has been since we started. We are so excited for the, the next year and all the good stuff to come.

• 23:57Tig Notaro?

Yeah, we have so many fun live shows coming up and um recordings and more merchandise headed your way. And uh, yeah, the, just the vibe of the listeners that.

• 24:09Fortune Feimster?

Good people. Yeah, the like and tell on our Instagram page. There's so many funny comments and kind comments.

• 24:15Mae Martin?

And the community that's building around it and seeing people like wearing the gear at shows and then finding each other and chatting. It's, it's amazing.

• 24:24Tig Notaro?

At my show in Toronto the other night, just like the most subtly handsome dude sitting front row and his pretty little lady.

• 24:32Mae Martin?

  Yes.

• 24:32Fortune Feimster?

  Shirt.

• 24:32Mae Martin?

  Oh, I love that.

• 24:33Fortune Feimster?

Sweatshirt, whatever it was. I did a show in Santa Rosa. I saw so many handsome shirts and pretty little lady shirts in the audience. It was wild. Yeah. Very cool. Thank you guys for supporting that. And yeah, we'll be in Nashville and Austin in April. So get those tickets. Tickets are going fast. Boom. And until next time. Keep it pretty handsome.

• 25:25Mae Martin?

Checking Allstate first could save you hundreds on car insurance. Not checking that my outfit matches the vibe of the evening before heading out the door, I regret everything. The night called for a black t-shirt, but I wore a white one instead, and now everything's out of alignment.

• 25:39Fortune Feimster?

Yeah, checking first is handsome. So check Allstate first for an auto quote. It could save you hundreds. You're in good hands with Allstate. Potential savings vary, subject to terms, conditions, and availability. Allstate, North American Insurance Company and Affiliates, Northbrook, Illinois.
