Encounters x330 - When Imaginary Friends Turn Violent | Creepy Kids & Childhood Hauntings

It’s time for one of our favorite topics: creepy kid encounters. We’ve received countless stories of children chatting casually with deceased relatives and questionable entities, and even kids who are the subject of full-on paranormal interventions that leave physical marks. Kids seem especially tuned into the supernatural, whether they are being protected, targeted, or something in between. At just seven years old, one listener was violently dragged by a ghostly “white lady” into an abandoned house while adults watched in horror. One parent shares how something in their home mimicked her voice and nearly lured her child outside at 3 a.m. with chillingly specific instructions. A sleepover turns terrifying when an “imaginary friend” reveals itself as a black-eyed girl who physically attacks and leaves bruises on a guest. We recount a lifelong haunting where spirits attached to a child attempt to claim them through illness, dreams, and eerie rituals tied to trees. Watch the video version here. Hello, everyone. Hello. This is Two Girls, One Ghost. Two girls, one ghost.

• 2:11Sabrina Deana-Roga?

We are your ghostesses. That is Corinne.

• 2:13Corinne Vien?

  Hello.

• 2:14Sabrina Deana-Roga?

I am Sabrina. And have you checked on your children lately?

• 2:19Corinne Vien?

Because they're creepy AF and they see dead people.

• 2:22Sabrina Deana-Roga?

Maybe they're standing at the end of your bed right now as you're sleeping, as you're trying to peacefully go to bed with some ghost stories. Look up and your child is staring at you.

• 2:32Corinne Vien?

I see dead people. Damn. I told you this, but I didn't tell it on the podcast. And this is probably nothing, but my dear creepy child Noah, the other day, was having a hard time falling asleep. So I tapped out to go get Brian to take a turn. And I was like, mommy, we'll be right back. Daddy's coming. Just give me one minute. And I leave the room and he's hysterically crying. And I'm watching him on the monitor because I like literally went to yell down to Brian to come up. He's hysterically crying and then all of a sudden he stops, turns, walks towards the other side of his crib that's facing the rocking chair, looks at the rocking chair and goes, mhm. And is like nodding his head, yes, mhm, mhm.

• 3:15Corinne Vien?

And then stops talking to whatever was going on and then goes back and starts crying again. So it was like, was he just trying to self soothe? That was weird. And then the other day when my parents are here, my mom, she just like keeps the monitor up in her own room to watch. And she was like, she was like, I swear he was talking to someone the other night. She was like, he just started like in the middle of the night, started like nodding and saying, mhm, like he was listening to someone.

• 3:41Sabrina Deana-Roga?

  I believe it.

• 3:42Corinne Vien?

That happened the other day too.

• 3:44Sabrina Deana-Roga?

Well, also, now that you've announced that you're pregnant, there was one time, I don't know, I don't think you've shared this, where it was almost like maybe a little future ghost kitty was playing with Noah, like Noah's brother was already playing with him. Do you remember?

• 4:00Corinne Vien?

Oh, yeah. There are a few different things that happened. I might have said what happened, but not assigned.

• 4:07Sabrina Deana-Roga?

  Yeah.

• 4:08Corinne Vien?

A child, but like, there was like a period of like a week where all of Noah's toys were just suddenly going off on their own and moving, like, we'd be sitting there and then like, a tractor that you like hit the smoke stack and it will just start going off on its own would start going. And Noah would just look at me like, what the hell?

• 4:27Corinne Vien?

So, yeah, that was like a week-long period where a bunch of his toys

• 4:29Sabrina Deana-Roga?

  Right.

• 4:30Corinne Vien?

were going off. And then it hasn't happened since.

• 4:32Sabrina Deana-Roga?

Hmm, so fascinating. Can't wait to see. Well, so, this theme is all about creepy kid ghost stories, whether you were a creepy kid, or if you have a creepy kid, and there are a couple emails that we got from people who were like, when I was pregnant, a lot of paranormal activity picked up, or people who have had newborn and paranormal activity picks up. So, the paranormal world really appreciates and loves kids and likes making them creepy.

• 5:00Corinne Vien?

Yeah, and we love that, and that is why we are sharing those stories today.

• 5:04Sabrina Deana-Roga?

Do you want to go first?

• 5:05Corinne Vien?

Sure, I will definitely go first.

• 5:07Sabrina Deana-Roga?

  Okay.

• 5:07Corinne Vien?

Okay, this was sent in from our listener Izzy from the Philippines, and it is called, "I Got Snatched By A Ghost Lady."

• 5:15Sabrina Deana-Roga?

  Oh, okay.

• 5:17Corinne Vien?

Hey, girlies. I'm Izzy from the Philippines, a new viewer who found you when you collaborated with Heart Starts Pounding with Kaitlin Moore. Shout out to Kaitlin.

• 5:26Sabrina Deana-Roga?

  Yay.

• 5:26Corinne Vien?

I've really been enjoying your podcast recently. I listen to it in the background, whether I'm working, playing games, cleaning up. I think my cat likes listening to you guys, too. He sleeps next to my tablet when I play your videos, which he doesn't do when I watch other things. So, you can consider us both fans.

• 5:44Corinne Vien?

We have so many non-human fans. I know. If only they counted towards listeners. I know, right? Number one feline-approved podcast. Right. Let me dive into my little story. This happened when I was seven and there were a few witnesses to this event, including my parents. My dad was a big extrovert and he hosted parties for basically every little event. My sister became president of her class in elementary school, party. I got first honors in class, party. Hell, he even bought a cake when it was the anniversary of the K-pop group that my sister and I really liked back when we were kids. Would I love that so much.

• 6:27Corinne Vien?

He was just really jolly like that. But this story takes place on my seventh birthday. It was already nighttime, but I was allowed to stay up late, as late as I wanted, because it was my birthday. And I would never miss an opportunity to be up later than my older sister and then get to brag about it the next day. My dad was drinking with his friends out in the garage and my mom and her friends were gossiping in the living room. And for this to make sense, let me explain the layout of the garage a little bit. We live in a small house that was boxed in by bamboo fences, which were about five to six feet tall. Our garage didn't have those metal garage doors, just like a gate attached to the bamboo fence. And then there was about four feet of clearance between the fence and the ceiling. That night, I chose to sit on my dad's right leg while he drank with his buddies.

• 7:13Corinne Vien?

And I started to notice that there was a heaviness in the air. The wind was blowing, but it felt thick and it rattled the tree leaves violently. The sky was clear, from what I remembered, because I could see the stars and there were no clouds covering the moon either. It didn't seem like my dad and his buddies noticed this eerie feeling. They were just drinking their whiskey, laughing loudly with some music from the radio in the background. Suddenly, I felt compelled to look at the house directly in front of ours, which was an abandoned home. I just had this weird feeling about it and I was debating going inside and getting my mom because I couldn't shake the discomfort in the air outside. But I decided against it because on the table where all of the alcohol was, there were also snacks.

• 7:55Corinne Vien?

And I was a very food motivated individual, so no ghost can pry me away from ham and cheese cubes.

• 8:03Corinne Vien?

But out of nowhere, as the heaviness still clung in the air, I felt a jolt of pain in my stomach and in my back, as if something large, like a large hand was gripping my body.

• 8:12Sabrina Deana-Roga?

  Oh.

• 8:12Corinne Vien?

And in seconds, I felt myself being dragged from my dad's leg over the bamboo fence and into the house in front of ours.

• 8:21Sabrina Deana-Roga?

  Wait.

• 8:21Corinne Vien?

  Like the abandoned house.

• 8:23Sabrina Deana-Roga?

  Okay.

• 8:24Corinne Vien?

I remember being slammed into an old wooden chair and seeing very long, black hair hovering over above my head. I was sobbing uncontrollably. I was yelling for my parents and I felt hands on each side of my shoulders pressing down hard, so much so that it felt like nails were touching my bones. From outside, I heard banging and I saw my dad and one of his friends break down the frail wooden door. From what I can remember, my mom was screaming my name from behind me. One of my dad's friends, who was a priest, barged in with this black bag. He pulled out a small bottle of holy water. He chanted Latin prayers, all while blessing this area with holy water. And I could feel the grip on my shoulders loosen. I could hear

• 9:05Corinne Vien?

a piercing scream from behind me, and I was still crying nonstop.

• 9:10Sabrina Deana-Roga?

  This is so crazy.

• 9:12Corinne Vien?

I know, because like, part of you, you like, almost think that it's gonna be like a dream, or like, no one else saw anything.

• 9:17Sabrina Deana-Roga?

Astral body or something, but yeah.

• 9:20Corinne Vien?

  Yeah.

• 9:21Sabrina Deana-Roga?

Physically, and everyone is seeing it happen.

• 9:24Corinne Vien?

The whole party stops because she literally just got ripped violently from her dad's lap and dragged by an invisible force into the abandoned house next door.

• 9:33Sabrina Deana-Roga?

  Oh, my gosh.

• 9:37Corinne Vien?

No whiskey can make you forget that.

• 9:39Sabrina Deana-Roga?

No ham and cheese can make you forget that either.

• 9:42Corinne Vien?

No, no. I heard the priest tell my dad and uncle, hurry, take her, take her. And so my dad carried me back to our house where my mom refused to let go of me until sunrise. She just had me in her arms for the rest of the night. When morning came, my parents and the priest decided to have the house in front of us blessed. They also asked permission from the local government if they could have other abandoned houses in the neighborhoods blessed. In that day, three abandoned houses were blessed by my parents' priest friend.

• 10:10Sabrina Deana-Roga?

Kind of love that, that this priest took it on his, on his own to be like, maybe I should go around to multiple houses here.

• 10:17Corinne Vien?

Right. Well, also, he has to protect his party spot and his friends. Okay, so I know that this leaves a few questions unanswered, so let me try to get ahead of it.

• 10:27Sabrina Deana-Roga?

  Quite a few.

• 10:28Corinne Vien?

What took me? What did it look like? Why was it at that house? And why did it drag me from my home?

• 10:34Sabrina Deana-Roga?

  Yes.

• 10:35Corinne Vien?

Well, the conclusion was that it was a caparrosa, or a white lady, as you call it in English. As you may already know, the white lady is often viewed as a vengeful apparition. And after finding out what happened at that house, we believe that there truly was a white lady haunting that house. Okay, so here comes a content warning for essay, CSA, and murder, and possibly suicide too.

• 11:00Sabrina Deana-Roga?

  Oh, no.

• 11:01Corinne Vien?

According to the other folks, my parents asked, the house used to belong to a couple who had a young daughter. The husband abandoned the family to be with another woman, leaving the mother and child alone and vulnerable. One night, some men broke into the house and assaulted both the mother and child.

• 11:17Sabrina Deana-Roga?

Oh, my God, that is so devastating.

• 11:21Corinne Vien?

The child was strangled to death. And in all of this horror, it was all witnessed by the mother.

• 11:28Sabrina Deana-Roga?

  Oh, my God.

• 11:29Corinne Vien?

And that made her have a very vengeful spirit.

• 11:32Sabrina Deana-Roga?

  A traumatized spirit too, like

• 11:35Corinne Vien?

  Yeah.

• 11:35Sabrina Deana-Roga?

  I would be the same.

• 11:37Corinne Vien?

Yeah, it's horrific. She writes, "The men who did all of these horrible things to her child then did them to her." Supposedly, they took a bed sheet, they tied it to the deceased woman, and then put her on a wooden beam by the ceiling to make it look like it was a suicide. They then lit the house on fire.

• 11:57Sabrina Deana-Roga?

  I'm disgusted by those

• 12:00Corinne Vien?

  Yeah.

• 12:00Sabrina Deana-Roga?

people. Well, also, I'm just imagining the spirit of this woman seeing our listener, this little girl, surrounded by men who are drinking. And like, what if she just misinterpreted the situation?

• 12:13Corinne Vien?

Totally. Well, not to spoil a movie that came out 10 years ago, but like, kind of the premise of Mama, in a way. Right? Where it's like the spirit who seems like she's like taking hostage. These children are actually thinking that she's like protecting them and saving them and keeping them like clothed and fed. So heartbreaking. She writes, we know this story today because the men were caught. The fire was extinguished by a few neighbors before it spread to other houses. But this is a very small town and basically it's wall to wall with how close these houses are. And so people were alerted pretty quickly as soon as they smelled the smoke. There was still some evidence intact and the staging of a suicide simply did not make sense.

• 12:55Corinne Vien?

And this led to the arrest of the men who committed this horrendous crime. This only explains why the white lady was angry. But as for why she took me, this is what my uncle said when I asked him years later. The little girl who was killed in that house was seven years old. I was seven that night. That's the only connection they could come up with. It seems like the lady was longing to reunite with her daughter, which also could be why she was holding on to me so strongly. I even remember having bruises on my shoulders and scratch marks on my stomach and back. So we think maybe that she saw me as her deceased child. My uncle said that this was the scariest thing he had ever seen. Yeah.

• 13:35Corinne Vien?

She had long, black hair and unnaturally long neck, a white night dress that seemed to have burn marks on it. And when she screamed. So sad for her. I know. The long neck too. When she screamed, she screamed with her mouth so wide that it seemed like she had a broken jaw. Uh, by the way, I still live in the same house. After getting all of the houses blessed, no one saw or felt the apparition. And that abandoned house was rebuilt and now it has tenants living there. Damn. And then she writes an update. Update, two days after writing this email, I talked to my mom about the event and she doesn't like bringing it up anymore because it was a very, very scary moment for her. But she brought up a detail that I didn't know about and I don't remember.

• 14:20Corinne Vien?

Or maybe I just simply blocked it from my memory. Apparently, while I was being whisked away to safety, the white lady was wailing, and I'm gonna butcher this, but um, wagneyang kuning ang anak ko, anak ko, anak ko, which translates to, "Don't take my child away. My child, my child."

• 14:41Sabrina Deana-Roga?

Wait, that makes me even more sad because it really does make me think the spirit was confused and thought it was like she could save her child, you know, from what actually happened.

• 14:51Corinne Vien?

Oh, that makes me so sad.

• 14:52Sabrina Deana-Roga?

  I'm heartbroken.

• 14:54Corinne Vien?

I didn't know about this because the whole thing was just chaotic and I was a child who was tunnel visioned on my dad just getting to save me and take me out of there. But apparently, the priest wasn't the only one there who sort of like held down this spirit. He also had two assistants there helping him. My mom told me that the reason their priest friend and his assistants were even at our house during my birthday was that the priest was traveling around remote areas of the region to hold masses there, where there were no churches or chapels. And my birthday is the same month as Pena Francia Festival, the Feast of the Blessed Virgin Mary. So this was an ideal month for them to travel around and bless some of the rural towns. Oh, so this wasn't even like a normal priest friend?

• 15:37Corinne Vien?

Like, it sounds like he was just in the area and her dad just recently befriended him.

• 15:41Sabrina Deana-Roga?

So it was good he was there.

• 15:43Corinne Vien?

My mom said that we were really lucky to have the priest and his assistants there, who were prepared, literally carrying a few ritualistic items, because they knew that people in the rural areas tend to sometimes show some symptoms of possession and needed some form of protection.

• 15:57Sabrina Deana-Roga?

Well, it's also the Philippines, so.

• 16:00Corinne Vien?

Yeah, so it was like every inch you could turn a corner and then there's something

• 16:04Sabrina Deana-Roga?

  A ghost.

• 16:04Corinne Vien?

coming for you. They were not authorized to perform exorcisms, which thankfully I didn't need one, but suffice to say that this was not that priest's first rodeo. Like the majority of my parents' friends, I don't even know his name. And when I asked my mom, she couldn't tell me. All she said, and I'm just gonna read the translation because this is a long sentence and I don't want to butcher their language any more than I already have. She said, "Knock it off. You keep asking questions now, but if you get haunted again, you're just gonna cry about it, so go to bed."

• 16:38Sabrina Deana-Roga?

  Fair.

• 16:39Corinne Vien?

I decided after that to not go to bed. I just continued binge watching Two Girls Who A Ghost.

• 16:45Corinne Vien?

See you on the other side, Izzy.

• 16:47Sabrina Deana-Roga?

Wow, Izzy. I'm speechless. And I also just feel really bad because I just, yeah, that's the backstory and this woman is just so tragic. And I don't think she intended any harm, but it's also such a scary thing for, yeah, if we witness that, that would be horrifying.

• 17:04Corinne Vien?

Oh, my God, I can't even ima- I like, would you just faint from fear? Like, I feel like certain people would just completely freeze and blackout.

• 17:12Sabrina Deana-Roga?

Yeah, I think blackout is a...

• 17:13Corinne Vien?

Like, not know what to do in the face of something so, like, unfathomable.

• 17:20Sabrina Deana-Roga?

  Yeah, damn.

• 17:21Corinne Vien?

Yeah, like, literally, like, because this woman was visible to everyone at the party, too. It wasn't just like an unseen force, like I called it before. It was, it was this, like, wailing, dark-haired woman in a white dress coming and snatching.

• 17:36Sabrina Deana-Roga?

  A child.

• 17:37Corinne Vien?

Izzy away at seven years old. And it sounds like from Izzy's description, too, that it wasn't just like she's grabbed and walked across the street. Like, she's flying at a high rate. It's almost like I picture it like a rubber band. Like, she's just

• 17:48Sabrina Deana-Roga?

  Right.

• 17:49Corinne Vien?

  ripped.

• 17:50Sabrina Deana-Roga?

  Ripped.

• 17:50Corinne Vien?

Into that house. And all the guys are like, oh, my God. And can you imagine that, like, the radio's playing and the dad and his friends are all drinking whiskey and then that happens in the blink of an eye?

• 18:01Sabrina Deana-Roga?

No, I can't imagine. It's horrifying. But I also really hope that Spirit, the woman, was able to find peace because that's really tragic.

• 18:08Corinne Vien?

Yeah, and it's, I hate that it's not lore, that there, like, is.

• 18:13Sabrina Deana-Roga?

  I know.

• 18:13Corinne Vien?

There were arrests made, like, they know that something horrific happened. They know the details of the woman and the child and all of that. It's so terrible.

• 18:22Sabrina Deana-Roga?

Okay, well, should I read one that's more creepy kid and less tragic?

• 18:27Corinne Vien?

Sorry. I mean, Izzy had the creepiest thing happen to her as a kid, so...

• 18:31Sabrina Deana-Roga?

But I'm, I'm trying to pivot so we have a little less, we can linger less on the sadness.

• 18:38Sabrina Deana-Roga?

This is from our listener Stephanie and it's called "That one time something tried to lure my kid outside." Hello, my name is Stephanie, first time caller, longtime listener. I randomly found your podcast about a year ago while looking for spooky shit. I was on a road trip to see my then-man friend who was about five hours away, and I have since fallen in love with your stories and your voices.

• 20:45Sabrina Deana-Roga?

Stephanie says, "Congrats on the new spooky baby."

• 20:47Corinne Vien?

Thank you. As I like pound my chest to try to not have acid reflux right now.

• 20:53Sabrina Deana-Roga?

Okay, here's a little bit of background. We used to live in a house that was right next to a graveyard. We normally didn't have much activity from there, but spirits would hide things in the house. Like, one time my car keys went missing for a few days and then I came home to find them sitting on the edge of my bed. Like, they were just done messing with me, so they returned them. Freaking asshats. Then, my oldest daughter went to an old abandoned house in Lincoln County, Tennessee, to explore with her friends one night. And I'm pretty sure she brought something or someone home with her. Because soon after that, those friendly things the spirits next door were doing turned terribly scary. One day, my eldest was taking a nap in bed and woke up because she felt like someone was sitting at the end of her bed.

• 21:38Sabrina Deana-Roga?

Thinking it was me coming home in the middle of the day, she opened her eyes and looked to see a small girl sitting there watching her. The girl had dark brown hair and was wearing a white hospital gown. And the daughter had gone to an abandoned hospital. My daughter said she freaked out, kicked at this little girl, because that was her first instinct, and the little girl's eyes turned red. So my daughter pulled the covers over her head and yelled, "Go away." She said she stayed under the covers for a while, and when she came out, the spirit was gone. Quickly, things escalated in our house. Things would move, like, you know, shoot from one side of the room to another. We could see it happen, but no one was holding the objects.

• 22:22Sabrina Deana-Roga?

My youngest would hear her name randomly being called. She would come into my room and ask what I needed, but I would look at her funny, and she'd say, "Didn't you just say my name?" I'd tell her, "No." And then one night at 3:00 a.m., I heard someone trying to open the front door. So I shot straight up in bed, and I realized my youngest was trying to walk outside. I yelled her name and stopped her. When I got her, I said, it's 3 a.m. What are you doing going outside? She looked me dead in the face and said, you told me to. I heard you from your room say, Beverly, take the dog outside to go potty. I told her that was not me and to go back to bed. It was not long after that I started looking into how to sage and protect

your house with crystals. And boy, my house is now locked down. But yeah, I don't know what that spirit was. It was quite scary. See you on the other side. Love, Stephanie.

• 23:17Corinne Vien?

Yeah, hell no. This is so terrifying, too, because it's like there's a mimic in the house, but it's not just saying things are sounding like her. It is luring her children other places. It's like instructing them to come here or do this and removing them from where they are.

• 23:37Sabrina Deana-Roga?

It's like that show From, which the new season, I think, actually comes out probably around this episode coming out. It's in April sometime, I think. This might even come out in May, but the new season is finally coming out. But it's like these entities at night luring people outside. And it's like, what's outside? Death.

• 23:54Corinne Vien?

  Ooh.

• 23:56Sabrina Deana-Roga?

And also the little girl's eyes turning red.

• 23:59Corinne Vien?

I know. Because then that makes it seem like it's something evil and demonic, or like something masquerading as a little child.

• 24:07Sabrina Deana-Roga?

  A little child. Yep.

• 24:08Corinne Vien?

Because like at first, like without knowing everything else, I'm like, what if this little ghost girl is just like, you know, so angry that like yet again, she's being ignored or like mistreated or like she's never welcome somewhere, you know, like she had a bad end of life and she's like literally seeing red with anger. But yeah, I don't think it's that.

• 24:26Sabrina Deana-Roga?

Trying to steal, steal the little kid and bring them outside. For what purpose? What reason? What good reason do you have for that?

• 24:34Corinne Vien?

Yeah, very creepy. None. Okay, I have a story called My Creepy Nephew and the Darkies and the Lighties.

• 24:41Sabrina Deana-Roga?

  Oh.

• 24:42Corinne Vien?

Hello, my name is Leah. I'm 23 and I'm gonna skip all the gushing over your podcast because it's just something that everyone else has already said and you've already heard.

• 24:52Sabrina Deana-Roga?

Straight to the story. I appreciate it.

• 24:53Corinne Vien?

Straight to it. I do appreciate it. Sometimes I skip over people's compliments anyway.

• 24:58Sabrina Deana-Roga?

  Like we can't.

• 24:58Corinne Vien?

Not that we don't like them and love them.

• 25:00Sabrina Deana-Roga?

You don't need to hear us read the compliments back to you.

• 25:04Corinne Vien?

  About us.

• 25:05Sabrina Deana-Roga?

  Yeah, about us.

• 25:06Corinne Vien?

Okay, let's jump into one of the most terrifying paranormal experiences I have ever had. My creepy nephew and the darkies and the lighties. A little background before I begin my novel. This story takes place in northern Ohio over the span of two-ish months during the summer of 2015. The names of those involved have either been shortened or changed for privacy. My sister, her two kids at the time, K and G, and her boyfriend, lived in a duplex on the bottom floor where they shared a basement. Flash to summer of 15. I was 15 and I was spending the summer vacation with my sister and her family in Ohio. The first couple of months were wonderful. It felt like I was in this sort of coming of age movie that takes place right before the young teen girl enters high school.

• 25:50Corinne Vien?

And this house was painstakingly normal. I had been a bit terrified to go into the basement, but who isn't terrified of a cold, musty and dark place? My sister had two kids, K, who was four, and G, who was three months old. G was definitely a mama's boy and would scream bloody murder if he ever left her side. So I was tasked to babysit K most of the time, the four-year-old. He and I spent a lot of time together and I started to notice that he was really getting scared of going into the bathroom and the bedroom alone. No matter what time of day. He would make me go everywhere with him. One day I was watching him while my sister, her boyfriend and G were at a wedding. I was sitting in the living room, reading as I usually did, and K kept getting up from his room, going to the bathroom. I was concerned because it looked like he was taking things back and forth from the bathroom to his room.

• 26:36Corinne Vien?

And so I stood up, I walked over to peek into his room to make sure that he didn't get into anything dangerous. And then I heard him talking to himself. At first I thought he was playing with his toys, but then I realized it sounded like he was actually having a conversation with another person. And at four years old, he could hold the conversation. So it wasn't like he was making nonsense. But he was pausing and waiting and listening, like as if someone else was going to respond to him. So I crept into his room to see if I could see what was going on without startling him. And he instantly stopped once he saw me. He kept drifting from my gaze to the empty airspace directly in front of him. And I repeated this process three or four times until I decided I had enough and I made him come sit with me in the living room.

• 27:20Corinne Vien?

Everything seemed like it was going back to normal. And then I realized it was around seven thirty PM. So I decided, okay, Kay needs to clean up his toys before we go to bed. And so I was helping him clean up his room. But I saw something like a marker or a pen drawing pretty high up on the wall. And I jokingly asked him, were you drawing on your walls, silly? Full well knowing that he wouldn't have been able to reach there unless he was standing on something. And with a straightforward face, he said, oh, no, those are darkies. I thought he was talking about the shadow on the wall from the light and my hand. So I made the same movement and asked what he meant. And he said, no, Lily, I mean, the ones that move and follow you around. Oh, no.

• 28:02Corinne Vien?

I asked him to show me and he brought me to his closet. Inside were extremely shiny objects, a flashlight, silverware, change. I asked him if he'd turned into a klepto, although he definitely didn't know what that meant. And he said that this was the only way to keep the darkies away, to have the shinies stay. I decided that that was our cue to get the hell out of the house. So I took Kay outside. I called my sister. I told her to get her ass home ASAP and I told her everything. She laughed at me and said that she'd be home soon. And as Kay and I sat on the porch waiting for them to arrive, I asked him more questions. And he began telling me about the red lady who he plays with and she helps scare off the darkies.

• 28:47Corinne Vien?

She was the one that told him that anything shiny would make the darkies go away and the ladies stay. And at this point, I told my sister we needed to reboot my nephew because he was genuinely scaring me. So flash forward to a couple of weekends later, everything seems to go back to normal and we decide to go on a camping trip to Sandusky, Ohio. My sister, who had two kids, her boyfriend's family and I went on Friday morning and her boyfriend Nick was supposed to come on Saturday because of work. So it's three thirty AM on a brisk Saturday morning. We all hear a car pull up to the campsite and Nick got out of the car having an absolute panic attack.

• 29:28Sabrina Deana-Roga?

  Oh, no.

• 29:28Corinne Vien?

It took him a while to calm down and tell us what the fuck was going on. He hated being home alone because he always felt this spooky vibe. And he said when he got home from work on Friday, he decided to go out with a couple buddies. As he left, he made sure to turn off all the lights and to lock up the house. A couple hours passed and his buddy went to drop him back off. His friend said, you live upstairs, right? And Nick said, no, why? And the friend's face turned white as a sheet and said, someone just closed the downstairs curtains. And Nick bolted into the house to see who was there. But when he walked in, every light in the house was on, including the garage, which hadn't worked for over three months. Every room in the house had a light on, except Kay's room.

• 30:12Corinne Vien?

Nick left that house faster than the speed of light. And once we were all awake and alert at the campsite, my nephew looked at Nick and said, the ladies tried to save you because the darkies tried to hurt you. Uh, we were a bit terrified to go back to the house.

• 30:26Sabrina Deana-Roga?

Holy ladies versus darkies are there.

• 30:30Corinne Vien?

I don't know, but think about it, like turning on all the lights and like the darkies are just in Kay's bedroom, just like lurking in there. Yeah. Ladies turned the lights on everywhere else. Ooh, chills. And to think that this poor four year old is just like staying in his room.

• 30:45Sabrina Deana-Roga?

Dealing with this every single day. Yeah.

• 30:47Corinne Vien?

Yeah. It makes me think that the, the red lady was probably like with him twenty four seven in there. Think about she like, you know, mom leaves after tucking him in for bed and red lady's like, I'm gonna sit at the edge of your bed. I'll be here all night.

• 31:00Sabrina Deana-Roga?

She takes the night shift. Yeah. Geez.

• 31:03Corinne Vien?

Another week passed and everything was calm again. No more ghostly activity. I had a couple of days left until I went back to Arizona, so we were just making the most of my last moments. My sister asked if I could make some sandwiches while they all were outside. So I went into the house and a bunch of dishes started clattering in the sink. I thought, okay, it's gravity. So I let that one slide.

• 31:25Sabrina Deana-Roga?

  Yeah, you know.

• 31:27Corinne Vien?

  It's just shifting.

• 31:28Sabrina Deana-Roga?

Lots of plates moving on their own.

• 31:30Corinne Vien?

Lots of extra gravity in here today. I went to grab my headphones out of the suitcase in the boys' room, and when I glanced into my sister's room, I looked in the mirror where you could see her bed, and I saw an older woman with red hair. Could this be the red lady? She was pressed up against the wall. We made eye contact. And she lifted her fingers into a sush, shush, shine. I can't say it, like a shhh. And then she winked at me.

• 32:05Sabrina Deana-Roga?

  What was she doing?

• 32:06Corinne Vien?

And then a wink. Oh, and then she's like up against the wall in the mom's room.

• 32:10Sabrina Deana-Roga?

  What?

• 32:11Corinne Vien?

Yeah, that's creepy. I began walking backwards and I said to myself, that's not strange. That's not strange. And then I ran to my sister, right as the words were escaping my lips. The look on my face must have been pure terror because the look on hers was full of worry. I described the woman in the incident that had just occurred, and she ran down to the basement. She was so out of breath when she came back up, but she was holding a photo album. We flipped it open, and she asked me if any of the people on that page looked like the woman I had just seen. And sure enough, there was a woman with red curly hair in a picture from the eighties. And this was this exact same woman I had just seen.

• 32:52Sabrina Deana-Roga?

  Who is she?

• 32:53Corinne Vien?

My sister said that she was our grandmother, and she had passed away when I was very little. I know all this seems random, but when put together, it is a very paranormal experience. I would like to think that my grandmother was there protecting my nephew from whatever was trying to hurt him.

• 33:08Sabrina Deana-Roga?

  For sure.

• 33:09Corinne Vien?

They moved out of that house very soon thereafter, and Kay grew out of his creepy kid stage. G, on the other hand, had some stories of his own, but I'll save that for another day. Ha ha, sorry, had to do it. Love y'all. Leah.

• 33:25Sabrina Deana-Roga?

Leah, this is not random at all. It's like you put the pieces together. I mean, we don't know who the darkies are, and I don't think we need to know or want to know because don't give them the time of day now that they're in the past. But now I'm like, who moved into that place? And are the darkies still bothering those new tenants? And do they have a red lady who can help save them?

• 33:48Corinne Vien?

I know. It is such like a creepy little thing like that. But I'm glad to know that it was, it was grandma, right? Because like, from Kay's perspective and everything Kay has shared about the red lady, like, she's a good, she's a good presence. Like, she's trying to protect him. She's staying with him. She's giving him tricks. She's turning on all the lights and, and letting the light in so that the boyfriend doesn't get taken by the darkies. She's doing everything she can to protect everyone in the house.

• 34:17Sabrina Deana-Roga?

And also, like, bless Kay for, like, having to deal with this for who knows how long. Oh, my gosh.

• 34:23Corinne Vien?

Does this remind you at all of your experience with your sister and, like, seeing the light and the dark fighting over her?

• 34:28Sabrina Deana-Roga?

Before you read this story, I, yeah, the way that the light and the dark, because I described them that exact way. It was like light and dark orbs fighting over my sister. So that part, yes. Damn.

• 34:41Corinne Vien?

  Creepy, creepy things.

• 34:42Sabrina Deana-Roga?

Okay, I have a story from our listener, Lee, and it's called, "My Cousin's Imaginary Friend Hated Me." Hey, girls. My name is Lee. I absolutely love your podcast. This story is about my younger cousin's imaginary friend who hated me. So this all happened when I was around 10 and my cousin was eight. We were extremely close and saw each other practically every day. One sleepover, I slept by her side, and the entire day she was being a bit odd. But her parents didn't really notice it being weird. But it was extremely weird in retrospect, and I have no idea how they never noticed. My cousin would constantly walk away and whisper as if she was talking to someone. And when I would ask what she was doing, she would

• 35:24Sabrina Deana-Roga?

just smile and say, "Nothing," and we'd get back to playing games. That's so creepy.

• 35:29Corinne Vien?

  That's very creepy.

• 35:30Sabrina Deana-Roga?

This will stay with me forever, but we played hide and seek and her father had a pool table. This reminds me a lot of your story, Crin, with you and Christian.

• 35:39Corinne Vien?

Oh, our hide and seek pool table, ghost boy.

• 35:42Sabrina Deana-Roga?

So I hid underneath the pool table. For context, he used to cover it with a tarp so you wouldn't know if someone was under it, which is kind of scary in a way, but a great hiding spot. So I was hiding under it and I kept hearing her look for me and call my name. 10 minutes went by and I was still hiding. She stopped calling my name, so I figured she was over it. I went to her room and asked her if she gave up and I found her facing her wall, sitting on her bed, talking.

• 36:09Corinne Vien?

  What?

• 36:09Sabrina Deana-Roga?

I was freaked out, but just walked up to her and I heard someone behind me as I was walking up to my cousin. I turned around expecting my aunt or uncle to be there, but I turned and there was no one there. I turned back around and my cousin was now facing me and she's staring at me saying-

• 36:25Corinne Vien?

This is so much scarier than my experience.

• 36:29Sabrina Deana-Roga?

Well, just the pool table, like playing hide and seek and that.

• 36:32Corinne Vien?

Yeah, yeah. Mine was foosball, so it was way smaller and maybe less scary than a giant tarp-covered pool table, but yes.

• 36:40Sabrina Deana-Roga?

I turned back to my cousin, who is now suddenly facing me. She stares at me blankly and says, "She doesn't like you." I was scared because what? Who? Why? I brushed it off and was just like, okay, she's just being weird. But later that night, when I was sleeping, I woke up in the middle of the night to someone singing. My cousin was laying asleep next to me, so it wasn't her, but I got this scared, nervous feeling. So I sat up slowly and I saw her. A little blonde girl in a white dress with blue shoes was sitting on the floor, playing with her hair. My cousin sat up next to me, half asleep, and said hello to her friend. And this girl turned around to look at us.

• 37:22Sabrina Deana-Roga?

And all I could see were her eyes because they were pitch black, dark holes on her face.

• 37:28Corinne Vien?

  Oh, my God.

• 37:30Sabrina Deana-Roga?

My cousin just smiled and laid back down and went to sleep. Now just imagine 10 year old me sitting shit scared and confused. And I look at the girl again, she's right by the end of the bed. I closed my eyes and screamed for my aunt. And all of a sudden I was pulled out of the bed and the little girl was looking at me with such a terrifying smile that turned to a frown, as if she was mad at me. I was screaming and crying and finally my aunt came in and turned on the light and she saw me lying on the floor crying. After calming me down, she noticed there were bruises on my leg. She asked what had happened and when my cousin woke up, my cousin told her mom, mommy, she doesn't like her. The rest of the night I slept by my gran. In the morning, I talked to my gran about what had happened and told her about the little girl.

• 38:15Sabrina Deana-Roga?

What she told me next still sticks with me. The girl I saw, that is my cousin's imaginary friend, is a girl who died in the street outside of the house when my gran was still a child. My gran told me the story that next day. I will never forget how that little girl looks. I'm now 22 years old and have had many kinds of experiences, both in that house and on my own, but this still sticks with me as a very scary experience.

• 38:41Corinne Vien?

  Yeah.

• 38:41Sabrina Deana-Roga?

Stay ghostly and fabulous from Lee.

• 38:45Corinne Vien?

That kind of took a twist that I wasn't expecting because like the bruises and the blackout eyes and stuff. I was like, oh, my gosh, this little girl is not a little girl. Like this is something darker and menacing and it's beyond just like kids being jealous or like, I don't like you. It's, it's like, there's a dark presence here, but I don't know if gran is like, no, we know exactly who that girl is. It's hard. Maybe she just got really possessive.

• 39:08Sabrina Deana-Roga?

Well, that's what I was gonna say, there's two versions of this. It could be the spirit of this little girl over time has evolved into something darker. Like the energy just opened up something. Or kids get in fights all the time. Kids do get possessive, kids do roughhouse with one another and like get mad when they're trying to share. That it could be this little ghost girl is still just a kid and acting out a little bit. And is like, I don't want to share my best friend.

• 39:36Corinne Vien?

  Yeah.

• 39:37Sabrina Deana-Roga?

But the ripping her out of bed and staring at her like angrily.

• 39:41Corinne Vien?

Yeah, that's very aggressive. Although like this is kind of reminding me of a little kid we just encountered at one of the play spaces. There's a little girl in a princess dress and she was running around to every child and just like ripping the toys out of their hands.

• 39:56Corinne Vien?

She like, she didn't want to play with them. She just didn't want anyone else to play with anything. And I have no idea where her parents were. But when she came to rip something out of Noah's hands, she ripped it. And guess what? I'm bigger than her. So I ripped it right back. Now, we're playing with this. You can play with it later.

• 40:10Sabrina Deana-Roga?

Love that. Yeah. I was saying this the other day, but Noemi does that a lot with Delphina. But it's like, you know, typical kid where Delphina will be playing with something that Noemi hasn't looked at in so long. And all of a sudden, Noemi wants it. So she like takes it from Delphina. But finally, Delphina, the other day, fought back. And I've never been so proud.

• 40:31Corinne Vien?

  Fight back, Delphina. Say something.

• 40:34Sabrina Deana-Roga?

Like she like pushed Noemi back and was like, no, that's mine.

• 40:37Corinne Vien?

Oh, my God, I love that. Aww.

• 40:40Sabrina Deana-Roga?

I was like, go off, Delphi.

• 40:42Corinne Vien?

I'm curious, once Noah like has a younger sibling, if he's gonna get really possessive like that. Because right now, he's super into sharing. Because he like, is exploring playing with other people. And so he's like, you get this. Or like, now you take a turn. I want to see how you use this toy. So he's super into it. But I think I told you this the other day, some of our neighbors, the kids were using his like little blue car. And he's normally like, very cool with kids using his stuff or playing with his stuff. But they were playing for just a few minutes too long. And he started pointing at himself like, it's mine.

• 41:16Sabrina Deana-Roga?

Oh, that was a, that's a very like, sweet, innocent way to do it. Yeah.

• 41:21Corinne Vien?

Well, he's still, he's still too scared of kids to like, go up and rip it back.

• 41:25Sabrina Deana-Roga?

Pull it back. Well, a sibling will help with that.

• 41:29Corinne Vien?

  That's true.

• 41:32Sabrina Deana-Roga?

No, but Noemi has her moments where she will like, sometimes be really giving and share and be like, Delphi, this one's for you. Play with it. But then she'll have her others where it's like, that's mine.

• 41:43Corinne Vien?

Yeah. It is hard being a kid. There are so many different things. Yeah, but like, kids have to learn everything. They like, come out of nowhere. You know? Like, they can't regulate their emotions. Now that it's a share and there's other people involved, and there's dead people talking to them at the same time, that's a lot to handle.

• 41:59Sabrina Deana-Roga?

How do we juggle it all?

• 42:01Corinne Vien?

How do they? Getting so many voices.

• 42:59Corinne Vien?

All right, for our last email, we were sent in a story called, "Whenever Someone Treated Me, They Would Die." So ominous, oh my God.

• 43:10Sabrina Deana-Roga?

  Treated you how? Medically?

• 43:13Corinne Vien?

Right, like every doctor or something?

• 43:15Sabrina Deana-Roga?

I think it's "treated you poorly."

• 43:18Corinne Vien?

  Ooh.

• 43:18Sabrina Deana-Roga?

It reminds me of you. It's like, anyone who crosses you, what happens to them?

• 43:22Corinne Vien?

You said that so ominous, like...

• 43:25Sabrina Deana-Roga?

Yeah, because you've got powers. You are.

• 43:29Corinne Vien?

No, that was just a series of spooky events that happened one period of time in my life. And I have yet to point my finger at someone like that again. Because I don't want people to die.

• 43:38Sabrina Deana-Roga?

A paranormal mob boss? You know, you don't.

• 43:41Corinne Vien?

No. I think there's also something, too, when people are filled with a lot of anger and direct that anger at someone like me.

• 43:49Sabrina Deana-Roga?

  Yes.

• 43:50Corinne Vien?

Who then, in my puberty years, like, said something back to them. It's not me saying anything back. It's just, you know, they may have already been

• 43:59Sabrina Deana-Roga?

  Sure.

• 43:59Corinne Vien?

  wandering on that path.

• 44:00Sabrina Deana-Roga?

  Yes.

• 44:01Corinne Vien?

Anywho, okay. Hi, I'm a new listener from the Philippines and I'm going to choose an anonymous name. So let's call me AJ. I like that. I like choosing your own name. Anyway, here it goes. This is gonna be a long story, by the way, but since I was a child, I've always had a good memory. I started kindergarten at a very young age, around three years old, and I lived in a small city, but our house was far out from where I went to school. When I attended, my mom would always find me to bring me in early. And whenever she did, she told me that I would always say something creepy to her, like, someday, I'm gonna leave and never come back. Oh, my god. That's crazy for a three-year-old to say. Yeah. But by far, she told me the scariest one that I've ever said was, they're here,

• 44:45Corinne Vien?

and they're gonna take me. Run. That's so fucked up. Oh, my god. Which at first, she didn't take me seriously, mainly because my mom didn't really think it was true. But anyway, this went on for weeks of me saying the same phrases when she would drop me off. Until one day, I came down with a high fever and no doctor could find out what was wrong with me. It had been days until an alborio or a healer was brought to us. And basically, by that point, I was on the brink of death. I couldn't eat, I couldn't drink. I was mostly just sleeping all day. I was so dehydrated, so malnourished, I could barely hang on for dear life. That's so scary. By this time, I can't pinpoint exactly how I got better, because I mostly was unconscious.

• 45:28Corinne Vien?

But apparently, my mom had told me the healer was treating me. And she said that I was screaming, I was crying, I was scratching at everyone who tried to touch me. Which, okay, if you have a really high fever, I can see that, because like, you might be hallucinating. Totally. But the next day, I was better. All the saint statues in the house, placed by my grandmother and blessed from a huge church known as a manog, suddenly fell and broke. They shocked all of them, because they were holding a small feast for my recovery. And I remember running away before the incident even occurred, as if I knew that this was about to happen. Every picture frame of Virgin Mary that my mom kept in their room just broke, like the glass shattered and fell from where it was hanging. This is horrifying.

• 46:12Corinne Vien?

The Saint Niño statue was decapitated from the way that it fell. All of the crosses that were hanging around the house, crooked when they went to go check. Holy shit. It's like, it's like a blast of paranormal energy that just like every single- And also like-

• 46:28Sabrina Deana-Roga?

  Almost demonic mocking the religious.

• 46:31Corinne Vien?

  Yes.

• 46:31Sabrina Deana-Roga?

  Everything.

• 46:32Corinne Vien?

Right. Every religious artifact, everything like damaged or moved somehow. Now, all of this happened after I ran out of the room, after I disappeared. I remember that I ran into my sister's room and I just huddled in the corner with like four blankets wrapped around me. And I was just rocking back and forth, crying that someone was out to get me. By this point, they thought that I'd gone insane, but my grandmother knew that there was something else entirely wrong. The breaking of the holy items around the house, well, that was a bad omen to her.

• 47:02Sabrina Deana-Roga?

  Same.

• 47:03Corinne Vien?

By the time they had managed to coax me out of the room, my mom told my dad, who worked night shifts, that they should bring me to church. And so they did. I mostly would fall asleep during the sermon and my life was sort of peaceful for two years. The last time I heard about the healer who treated me, they had died a month after treating me.

• 47:20Sabrina Deana-Roga?

  Wait, a month after?

• 47:23Corinne Vien?

  Yeah.

• 47:23Sabrina Deana-Roga?

  Okay, interesting.

• 47:25Corinne Vien?

So now I'm six and there is a huge mango tree in front of our driveway. With a huge driveway that would lead up to a clearing beside the tree house. And then it ran to our main house and multiple other trees surrounded us. We lived at the foot of a mountain and also were surrounded by rice fields. So it was a huge lot. Oh, my God, it sounds beautiful.

• 47:43Sabrina Deana-Roga?

  It does.

• 47:44Corinne Vien?

Under that mango tree was an awning. It had grown too large. My mom had plans to cut it. However, I had some memories with close cousins running around this tree and picking mangoes. So in an effort to save it, I would always sing under that tree in the awning, mostly at nighttime. Because all of my family members are night owls.

• 48:05Sabrina Deana-Roga?

That's out of a horror movie.

• 48:08Corinne Vien?

  I know.

• 48:08Sabrina Deana-Roga?

There's a lot of elements from this that I can like visualize. It starts with a little girl singing under a mango tree at night. She goes inside and all of the crosses like slightly creep towards its sides.

• 48:20Corinne Vien?

Yeah. Honestly, basically saying almost any sentence and then saying at night at the end of it makes it creepy. Then a few nights go by and I come down with another high fever. This time it caused me to hallucinate about the mango tree having this tall lady with long fingers and long dark hair. I start screaming and my grandmother immediately carry, yeah, it's almost like seeing the tree's spirit.

• 48:42Sabrina Deana-Roga?

  Yeah.

• 48:43Corinne Vien?

I start screaming and my grandmother immediately carried me into her separate room and house from the main house that we usually had slept in. And had my mom call another healer. This time it was a woman in her early 50s and she had us prepare a tub, a white candle, a gulag. She said, not sure the English word for it, but you use the gulag to cut a branch from the tree. So merge it into water, take it out and then start chanting something.

• 49:07Sabrina Deana-Roga?

Why does it remind me of what they do in Weapons where she like wraps the hair around the stick and breaks it? You haven't?

• 49:15Sabrina Deana-Roga?

  You have homework?

• 49:17Corinne Vien?

My grandmother told me that my eyes rolled back and only the white part was visible while my head turned towards the mango tree outside. She told me I let out these weird shrieks. And when they lit the candle and dropped the wax into the water, three figures of small people appeared. By this point, it was my grandmother who filled me in on everything that happened. So the lady started groaning in pain and she's clutching her head. And they noticed that this healer, she starts staring blankly, her eyes are rolling back. And she starts using this knife in a really weird way, like she's using the dull side to chop at her arm.

• 49:53Sabrina Deana-Roga?

  What?

• 49:54Corinne Vien?

And eventually I looked away and pointed at the tree and the lady told my grandmother that I should make an offering. Because I had disturbed the spirits. But they had grew fond of me and they're requesting that now I go with them into the spirit realm. Obviously, my mom was quick to agree to the offerings and after being unconscious for two or more days. I came to and I made some offerings under the tree like candy and bread and I prayed that they should not and would not take me. However, the same time that I was unconscious, I had dreamed of seeing myself asleep. And this huge hand was on the window. And a shadow resembling the lady that had this long, really dark hair and long fingers was standing outside of the window. Nearby my body, reaching in towards me.

• 50:38Corinne Vien?

And I couldn't do anything except from just screaming at myself to wake up. The next week, we tried to visit the lady who had helped me. And we were informed that she had passed away in her sleep two days after she treated me.

• 50:49Sabrina Deana-Roga?

  What the heck?

• 50:50Corinne Vien?

The day that I woke up from my trance, she had died.

• 50:55Sabrina Deana-Roga?

What is with these spirits wanting AJ so badly?

• 50:58Corinne Vien?

I don't know. It's also weird to be like, oh, you've disturbed us, but now we like you. It's like, you sang too much, but I guess we kind of are fond of your singing now, perhaps? And you should join us.

• 51:11Sabrina Deana-Roga?

  It feels almost like Faye.

• 51:12Corinne Vien?

It does. And also just like picturing this woman with like the long arms reaching in as she's sleeping through the window. Reminds me of the BFG. It reminds me of the World's All Books.

• 51:24Sabrina Deana-Roga?

It does, but that's a friendlier version.

• 51:27Corinne Vien?

Well, all the other giants weren't.

• 51:29Sabrina Deana-Roga?

  That's true.

• 51:29Corinne Vien?

Since then, my mom has tried her best to keep me away from the trees and tried to be by my side 24/7. And again, I lived peacefully for four more years. But one fateful day, I was 10, when I had the mistake of playing around a tamarind tree that was in our side yard. I had picked a few of its fruits and I ate it under the tree. This time, I kept having vivid and repetitive dreams. The first one was me in a desert and the sand tornado would come and hurl itself at me and it just like would stop just a few feet from me and then open up to a woman wrapped in bandages, like a mummy. And she would sing in this sort of hypnotic voice, trying to get me to come into the tornado with her. But I would always say no. And then she would scream and screech until I would wake up in a cold sweat.

• 52:13Sabrina Deana-Roga?

  What?

• 52:14Corinne Vien?

I would keep dreaming about it and each time she would be closer and closer and closer until she stopped. And when that didn't work, I dreamt of this other woman who would be crawling around on my ceiling and licking the portrait of Virgin Mary before slamming her fist on it. It had a crack where I saw her punch it. And it would keep happening until one day she turned her neck in the most grotesque way possible, with a sickening sound and smile in a creepy way. And then she would crawl towards the ceiling, right on top of me, open her mouth and her neck would extend halfway down the ceiling. And her tongue just started licking me all over, until I woke up screaming. This happened every single night without fail.

• 53:00Sabrina Deana-Roga?

I have a lot of notes for these spirits because if they are trying to bring AJ wherever they are, they're going about it the wrong way. I, I feel like we could work on our tactics.

• 53:13Corinne Vien?

Yeah, like why, how is that an attractive place to go?

• 53:16Sabrina Deana-Roga?

  Right.

• 53:16Corinne Vien?

You can't scare someone into going with you when it like, sounds horrific, the way that you're behaving.

• 53:22Sabrina Deana-Roga?

And also like, what are these entities? Like, it's so animalistic. Ugh.

• 53:28Corinne Vien?

I know. It's confusing too, because it's like, if they're, if they're like, associated with the trees, I want to think of them as being nice, right?

• 53:36Sabrina Deana-Roga?

But the way that they're like mocking holy items is giving demonic energy, but it's like this subspecies of demons that I, I prefer regular demons.

• 53:47Corinne Vien?

Yeah, I can agree with you there.

• 53:50Sabrina Deana-Roga?

You kind of know what you're, because you know what you're getting. Whereas like with these, you don't, I don't understand how to qualify them. Yeah.

• 53:57Corinne Vien?

Is it even a them? Or is it just one? It seems like it's a woman every single time. Is it just like, is one entity trying to like, present itself in an enticing way every time? I don't know.

• 54:08Sabrina Deana-Roga?

  I don't know.

• 54:09Corinne Vien?

Okay, so this happened every single night without fail, and it would make me lose sleep to the point that I actually developed insomnia. So my dad took a day off of work to drive me and my mom to this rural area and made me hold an egg. And now I was sleep deprived. So I kind of just went with whatever they told me to do. So I did hold that egg, the whole two hour ride, because there were no more healers near us, at least after the two that had died. And we needed to go see a healer. So when we arrived, an old man greeted us and asked me all sorts of stuff, like my name, my age, where I'd gone to school, what I was dreaming of becoming. And I think he was trying to put me at ease, make me relax. And then he took the egg and he cracked it directly into the glass jar filled with

• 54:50Corinne Vien?

water. He swirled it around and whispered something in the jar. And I kid you not, it formed the tamarind tree, identical tree in my yard. My mom was aghast and so was my dad. The healer told them that the spirits in the tree had long wanted me, but didn't get the chance since they were in the side yard.

• 55:12Corinne Vien?

Like, what would have happened if they were in the front yard?

• 55:14Sabrina Deana-Roga?

Well, also, they've wanted AJ since before any of this. Like, the stories start back when AJ was three years old and, like, being dropped off at kindergarten.

• 55:25Corinne Vien?

Right, and being like, oh, they're gonna take me. Like, you need to run. One day, I'm gonna disappear. Oh, this is so creepy. Apparently, they weren't necessarily evil. They were just very selfish and they had attached themselves to me and were trying to take me through my dreams. So he performed a cleansing using an egg and had me offer sweets again underneath the tree. And then my parents sent me off to the car and my dad and my mom continued to talk to this old guy. They also made me drink some sort of concoction. It was like mixed with holy water or something. I'm not entirely sure, but it did taste a bit bitter. They gave me candy afterwards and we did the requested rituals because he gave my mom this white paper to burn. And my mom didn't let me see or know exactly what was inside of that paper,

• 56:09Corinne Vien?

but we did burn it on a silver plate along with the offerings. Weird that the offerings didn't burn, but I might be misremembering that part. Anyway, I start to get better. My sleeping pattern continues like nothing happened and I no longer have any scary dreams. And once more, to thank the old guy, we tried to visit him again, only for the guy's daughter to throw us out screaming that I killed her father.

• 56:33Sabrina Deana-Roga?

  Oh, my god.

• 56:34Corinne Vien?

Apparently, he died in the middle of the night after convulsing and speaking in a weird language the very day that he treated me. She screamed that I had passed on the curse to him and I am never welcome back.

• 56:47Sabrina Deana-Roga?

  My eye twitch just returned.

• 56:49Corinne Vien?

So maybe they were evil spirits after all.

• 56:51Sabrina Deana-Roga?

  For sure, they're evil spirits.

• 56:54Corinne Vien?

We were obviously shaken, but my mom told me that it was fine and assured me that they loved me. And they made the decision to find another place for us to live because I kept getting victimized here. So we left and only came back when I was 15. I believe my grandmother had been sick and I wanted to visit very badly. So this would be the last time that I would see her, which thankfully it wasn't. She's actually still with us now.

• 57:17Sabrina Deana-Roga?

  Hell yeah.

• 57:19Corinne Vien?

Oh my gosh. We didn't stay the night, but I did accidentally fall in front of the house and got a small gash on my knee. I disregarded it and went inside to talk to my grandma for a bit. When I got out of the room, I headed for the attic because I remembered that our photo albums were up there and I wanted to bring them down to the new house. I ended up not finding any and just giving up. But then the next day I noticed that the gash didn't heal and it was actually growing bigger. I asked my mom for some ointment, hoping to just get it dry and it would form a scab and hope it doesn't get infected. But the morning I woke up after applying the ointment, it still grew bigger. Even bleeding while my other knee had developed its own gash, like literally an open wound.

• 58:00Sabrina Deana-Roga?

  What?

• 58:00Corinne Vien?

So I get nervous. I asked my mom if maybe I contracted a skin disease of some sort. She tells me to calm down. She'll take me to go get checked up. They tell me everything is normal. It's just a scratch. But then I tell them, okay, well, I didn't injure the other knee. It just suddenly appeared and they had no idea how it happened. So my mom ruled it out. It's like, maybe my cat scratched me in the middle of the night until I bled. Which obviously I feel like that's ridiculous, but whatever.

• 58:27Sabrina Deana-Roga?

  Right.

• 58:28Corinne Vien?

It kept getting worse and worse. Like it started to spread from my knees onto my legs. There was pus coming out of them and no amount of ointment or treatment was drying it. By that point, I was in pain.

• 58:40Sabrina Deana-Roga?

Why do I feel like the spirits are like trying to make her rot from outside in? So they can finally have her.

• 58:47Corinne Vien?

Yeah. Like a little rotting mango on the ground. Just die beneath the tree and we can absorb you and your essence back into us.

• 58:56Sabrina Deana-Roga?

It also gives like Coraline vibes, like other mother.

• 58:59Corinne Vien?

  Yeah.

• 59:00Sabrina Deana-Roga?

  Trying to steal her.

• 59:01Corinne Vien?

  Totally.

• 59:02Sabrina Deana-Roga?

  Ugh.

• 59:02Corinne Vien?

Yeah. By that point, I was in a lot of pain and it was extremely large and it had this really foul smell. Like my leg was rotting and the doctors had no idea what was wrong with it. They ran blood tests, scans, even the flesh eating bacteria. Nothing came back. My tests were clean. So by then, my mom asked how I got the first gash in the first place. And I tell her, well, I got it when we went to go visit my grandmother. She curses beneath her breath and immediately took me to go see another healer. I was confused and honestly, I was scared because, okay, well, three people have already died after treating me. And my mom is now just dragging me into this woman's house with smoke coming out of the back of her house. And she had this really weird aura around her. I could kind of sense it.

• 59:46Corinne Vien?

And she was just very serious and like a very headstrong aura. I also could tell that the house was super protected, like there were all sorts of herbs hanging and drying from this makeshift line. But nonetheless, I swallowed my fear and I walked in with my mother. She apologized for not saying anything beforehand, but stated that this was an emergency. The elderly woman, who probably was in her seventies or eighties, just nodded and told me to show her my knees. And now, she had no proper introduction or knowledge to any of my ailments. I was actually wearing my pajamas, so she couldn't even see my condition.

• 1:00:22Sabrina Deana-Roga?

  Wow.

• 1:00:23Corinne Vien?

Oh, so she already like knew, like, show me your knees.

• 1:00:25Sabrina Deana-Roga?

She knew, show me your knees.

• 1:00:26Corinne Vien?

  She wasn't told.

• 1:00:27Sabrina Deana-Roga?

  Yeah.

• 1:00:28Corinne Vien?

Also, I forgot to mention, we had wrapped my knees up with this long bandage with the ointment around my leg to keep the pus from staining my clothes as well. But the moment that she saw the bandages, she ripped them off my leg, told me not to use such methods. I guess she really doesn't like doctors. And then she started to mix something together in her mortar and chanted something before making me blow on the herbs. Then she blew on them too. And then she wiped it on my knee and legs and told me that I had very rich energy. And this was the reason that a lot of spirits with dark energy and even evil entities were so drawn to me. They wanted to drain my life force and strengthen themselves. She told me to come back to her and to apply the oil that she would give my mom on my legs.

• 1:01:13Corinne Vien?

She waited for the herbs to dry before applying the oil herself. She told me it was blessed oil she brewed herself. And then I should probably stay away from our property for a couple of years because the spirits had gotten pretty desperate.

• 1:01:26Sabrina Deana-Roga?

  Like they all flocked there.

• 1:01:28Corinne Vien?

Yeah, it was so creepy. She also asked me if people who treated me kept dying. I was stunned. I guess my face showed the obvious answer and she told me that she assumed they must have been a lot younger than her and so weaker in their skill. And she was on point. I couldn't believe that she could deduce all of this with just one look. But after talking a little bit more, we left and I came back to her for a few more days because I was scared for her life. And she kept applying herbs. And in just a week, the rot was gone. Puss was gone. All that remained were scabs of the wounds. And I kept thanking her and asking her, please be careful, please be careful. And she laughed at my face and told me that she would be careful. Thankfully, she did not die.

• 1:02:13Corinne Vien?

And she lived. And I often visit her still.

• 1:02:16Sabrina Deana-Roga?

  Who is this magical woman?

• 1:02:19Corinne Vien?

  Right?

• 1:02:19Sabrina Deana-Roga?

  Can we be introduced, please?

• 1:02:23Corinne Vien?

Damn, like, that's so crazy, too, to be like, oh, yeah, everyone else who's touched, she's probably died, right? Because this is a wild case.

• 1:02:30Sabrina Deana-Roga?

  Right.

• 1:02:30Corinne Vien?

But I'm not scared. I know exactly what to do.

• 1:02:33Sabrina Deana-Roga?

  I got this.

• 1:02:34Corinne Vien?

And I love the description of like, how this woman's house was scary to go up to because it was like, she almost had so many protections around her house. Like, the house was like, basically alive and had its own energy.

• 1:02:44Sabrina Deana-Roga?

  Right.

• 1:02:45Corinne Vien?

  That's also scary.

• 1:02:46Sabrina Deana-Roga?

And if AJ has been like, attracting evil entities for so long, like, I wonder if, like, the evil energy that has been around AJ was so scared of the house and AJ was picking up on that energy, too.

• 1:02:57Corinne Vien?

  Hmm, totally. Yeah, good point.

• 1:03:00Sabrina Deana-Roga?

  Damn.

• 1:03:01Corinne Vien?

Okay, so a few months go by, and one day I stayed with my aunt at her house for a sleepover with my cousins. The next day, my scalp was itchy and I asked my mom if I'd contracted lice. And apparently, no, but I had bald spots all over my head with red spots similar to psoriasis. And some of them were even bleeding.

• 1:03:21Sabrina Deana-Roga?

  Oh, my gosh.

• 1:03:22Corinne Vien?

Of course, I was horrified because my hair was my most prized possession. I'm fifteen, I can't be balding. So I immediately go to the doctor, the dermatologist, and I keep going back and forth between these doctors. And I'm losing chunks of my hair. And I'm not talking just like a strand or two, like chunks of my hair. I'm literally distraught. Nothing is seeming to work. And I'm like, oh, there's something on me again. So we go back to the elderly woman, and to my delight, she is alive and kicking. I sigh in relief and I ask her to take a look for me. And she asked me if I had been around anyone new. And I told her, well, I was at a sleepover at my aunt's house. And she told me that there was a vengeful spirit of a baby, also called Chanak.

• 1:04:08Corinne Vien?

And they had their sights on my hair. They were jealous of it.

• 1:04:12Sabrina Deana-Roga?

Oh, what? I'm so sorry, AJ.

• 1:04:15Corinne Vien?

Also, why does a baby need the hair?

• 1:04:18Sabrina Deana-Roga?

  What?

• 1:04:18Corinne Vien?

Yeah. I had long jet black hair that was all the way down to my butt, almost to my thighs. And of course, I took pride in this. I was so shocked when all of this happened and I was so restless. So she told me, no big deal. Use coconut oil that she gave me and then she prayed on it and blew on it. I thanked her. And my mom would apply it for me every single morning. And guess what? Within days, it got better. When I tried to visit her again, unfortunately, this woman had passed away.

• 1:04:47Sabrina Deana-Roga?

  Hmm.

• 1:04:49Corinne Vien?

Only her neighbors had told me because she had no family around and I couldn't help but think that it was because I had met her. But they told me that she actually passed of a heart attack while she was sweeping the front of her lawn. She just fell over and the ambulance couldn't make it in time.

• 1:05:04Sabrina Deana-Roga?

  Oh, poor woman.

• 1:05:05Corinne Vien?

Stay creepy. Thank you for listening from AJ. Or A- Ajay? I keep saying AJ, but I think they meant for me to pronounce it Ajay. But either way, it's an alias. It's not their real name.

• 1:05:18Sabrina Deana-Roga?

  Well.

• 1:05:18Corinne Vien?

  Holy crap.

• 1:05:19Sabrina Deana-Roga?

I'm so sorry that you are continuing to endure this. Like, this is clearly a, a to be continued story because

• 1:05:27Corinne Vien?

  Mm-hmm.

• 1:05:28Sabrina Deana-Roga?

  it's not over.

• 1:05:29Corinne Vien?

No. My goodness. But like, I, I'm so glad that they were able to find this woman as the healer who was like so

• 1:05:38Sabrina Deana-Roga?

  I know.

• 1:05:39Corinne Vien?

set in her craft and so powerful and could actually help. But at the same time, it is kind of devastating that she was a lot older and like, you know, she could have just like naturally passed.

• 1:05:49Sabrina Deana-Roga?

  She's gone.

• 1:05:50Corinne Vien?

And now she's gone. Cause it's like, God, what a lifeline that woman was.

• 1:05:55Sabrina Deana-Roga?

Like, now who do you go to?

• 1:05:56Corinne Vien?

I can't imagine how many people she helped.

• 1:05:58Sabrina Deana-Roga?

  Oh.

• 1:05:59Corinne Vien?

And that's so confusing too, because it's not like, it's not like AJ went back to the, to the trees and was just like hanging back where like all the dark spirits were. She literally went to her aunt's house to like have a sleepover with her cousins. What do you mean? Like, have you been around anyone new? It's like, can you never talk to anyone? Can you never go anywhere new?

• 1:06:17Sabrina Deana-Roga?

Yeah, because even at home, she wasn't safe, right? So it's like.

• 1:06:22Corinne Vien?

  Right, dark energy everywhere.

• 1:06:23Sabrina Deana-Roga?

  I am.

• 1:06:24Corinne Vien?

  My god.

• 1:06:25Sabrina Deana-Roga?

So sorry, but I am also very grateful that you have parents who were continuing to try to help you and like, get you to healers. Cause I can't imagine as a parent, have seeing your child go through so much pain and be tormented by spirits.

• 1:06:39Corinne Vien?

You know what this makes me wonder too, because like this is like AJ is so targeted here from dark energies. And it's like only the most powerful healer could even protect AJ, but like AJ was fighting back in their dreams. Right? Like there were so many times where it was like getting closer and closer. Come, come to me, come to me. And I was like, no, no, no. This makes me wonder if AJ is also supposed to be like the next most powerful healer in a way.

• 1:07:06Sabrina Deana-Roga?

  That's the movie.

• 1:07:07Corinne Vien?

  That's the movie.

• 1:07:10Corinne Vien?

Like this woman passes and now.

• 1:07:12Sabrina Deana-Roga?

Your role is to fight these entities. And that's why they've been coming after you since you were so young, because they knew that you would eventually become the one that can defeat them.

• 1:07:22Corinne Vien?

Right. It kind of reminds me a little bit of like the American Horror Story coven. Where it's like, there's that, what do they call it? Where it's like, you basically like the head witch, like the most powerful witch will be the supreme gets chosen. And people like want whoever's going to be the supreme to die before they can take over the role.

• 1:07:40Corinne Vien?

I think you're the supreme healer.
