About this episode
This week, we’re looking at the confusion around confidence. For decades, this was a confusion that I was completely lost in, suffering from paralysis around public speaking. It looked to me that if I could just have more confidence, then I would be okay. I read books on confidence, I went to courses on confidence, but none of it worked. And the reason it didn't work is because the understanding around what confidence is and what effect it has is completely misunderstood by our culture, our society and even by psychology itself. So in this episode, we’re going to dive into what confidence really is and what it truly means to be confident. What is Covered: -Why we are so obsessed with the self, with emotions and with the regard of others-Why attempting to switch from insecure to secure self doesn’t work-Where our focus should be if we want to be more confident-What confidence looks like on the outside vs. what happens on the inside-The benefits of deep attention into our passions and interests-How to resolve the confusion around the confident self Resources: -Download our exclusive recording Free Subliminal: Supporting the Enquiring Mind bit.ly/podcastsubliminal -Learn more about me and my work at https://claredimond.simplero.com/ -Find me on Facebook https://www.facebook.com/claredimondreal -Let’s connect on LinkedIn https://www.linkedin.com/in/clare-dimond-b533007/ -Follow me on Instagram https://www.instagram.com/clare_v_dimond/
