This is Five Minute Friday, episode number 495, Positive Mind, Positive Life. A negative mind will never give you a positive life, my friends. Now, we talk a lot about positivity and health on this podcast. Physical health and eating clean, healthy relationships, healthy sense of spirituality, a healthy business. But there's one type of health that doesn't get talked about enough, and that's the health of our minds. Here's the truth: If we let our minds run wild with negative self-talk and negative

self-doubt, then we are never going to achieve true greatness. We won't allow ourselves to reach our full potential with this type of thinking. We'll hold ourselves back with self-defeating talk. So how do we create a positive mind? Well, as Willie Nelson said, "Once you replace negative thoughts with positive ones, you'll start having positive results." And it's simply as true and simple as that. Our thoughts are that powerful. Think about it: If you spend a day feeding your mind positive thoughts about how things are going and how things are going to go, then you're going to create those results.

If you spend your day thinking about how bad things are and how much worse they can get, you're going to create those results. It can really be that simple. No matter what kind of day you're having, you can still have the choice of what thoughts you let creep into your mind. If you want a positive and healthy life, you must choose to cultivate the positive mindset. Now, of course, it must be backed up with consistent positive actions, but that action coupled with a positive mind is a powerful combination. And as Helen Keller said, "Keep your face to the sunshine and you cannot see a shadow."

We have a choice about what we focus on. And it's so important to surround yourself with the people and the influences that create these type of thoughts that support your life. It's your responsibility to make this happen because this is your only life. Make sure you're reading the right books, listening to the right podcasts, watching videos to inspire and meet people that lift you up. There is so much inspiration in the world if you choose to see it. And remember what Zig Ziglar said, "Positive thinking will let you do everything better than negative thinking will." This is your Five Minute Friday. Positive mind, positive life.
