Position of Neutrality: The Importance of Service in Step 12 AA Confronting Your Inner Battle Choose Life Over Addiction

Join Joe McDonald as he discusses the critical role of service in Step 12 of Alcoholics Anonymous. Joe explains that within each of us, there is a voice that wants us to live and another that wants us to die. The voice that has led us to destruction is the reason we find ourselves in recovery. But there is also a voice of life, and we must listen to it and walk in the freedom that comes from serving others. Joe emphasizes that the reason faith without works is dead is because faith must be demonstrated through action—and that action is service. In Alcoholics Anonymous, Step 12 focuses on carrying the message to others and practicing the principles in all areas of our lives. Joe reminds us that by getting involved in service, we not only get free, but we stay free. To support and learn from journeys like Joe McDonald, please like, comment, and share.
