Position of Neutrality: Speaking Life and Burning the Message Into Consciousness in Step 12 AA Are We Entertaining Angels In Disguise?

Join Joe McDonald as he shares a powerful story of encountering someone who asked for exactly $8, reminding us that sometimes we’re entertaining angels without even knowing it. Joe explains that when the Big Book talks about burning the idea of recovery into consciousness, it’s about speaking life into others with depth and weight. This isn’t about impressing others with stories of the past, but about sharing the power that animates us, speaking from a place of truth that will resonate and come with force. In Alcoholics Anonymous, Step 12 focuses on carrying the message to others with depth and weight, ensuring that the idea of recovery is burned into their consciousness. Joe encourages us to speak life into others by sharing the message with power, conviction, and the intention to inspire transformation.
