Position of Neutrality: Praying for Guidance in Steps 10 & 11 AA Transform Obstacles into Opportunities with Prayer and Meditation

Join Joe McDonald as he discusses the importance of prayer and meditation in Steps 10 and 11 of Alcoholics Anonymous, focusing on seeking guidance rather than just relief. Joe explains that, during meditation, we ask for the power to navigate through circumstances rather than for circumstances to change. The true freedom comes from learning to navigate the challenges we face, rather than avoiding them. Joe also reminds us to be careful not to pray for selfish ends, but instead, ask for the power to help others through our actions and decisions. In Alcoholics Anonymous, Step 10 encourages us to continually assess ourselves, and Step 11 strengthens our conscious contact with our Higher Power. Joe emphasizes that prayer for freedom from self-will and guidance on how to move through difficulties is key to spiritual growth and a deeper connection to divine purpose.
