Sandler Returns, Baker Mayfield's Unfinished Business, NFLPA Debacles & Pretty Woman Review | EP 149

92%ers welcome back another episode of New Heights, brought to you by our friends at General Mills’s Favorite Cereal Brands! We’ve got an incredible episode to wrap up season 3! First, we welcome back Adam Sandler to talk all things Happy Gilmore 2, how Travis’ scenes with Bad Bunny turned out, Big Ed’s cameo, and the origins of the iconic Happy Gilmore swing. Next, we check in with Travis and how he’s feeling going into his 13 training camp at St. Joe’s, attempt to explain what the hell is going on with the NFLPA’s corporate credit card, take a look at some fan mentions about Jason lawn art, the Jets Jake Tattoo, and caffeinated cupcakes. And we’re not even close to done yet because we finally give our long-awaited review of the 1990 classic “Pretty Woman.” See if Jason and Travis think the film holds up, what they thought of Julia Roberts’ Oscar-nominated performance, and who was the sneaky MVP of the movie. Finally, we have an incredible conversation with #1 draft pick, Heisman winner, and starting QB for the Tampa Bay Buccaneers, Baker Mayfield! We get into everything from why he thinks the Bucs have some unfinished business heading into this season, his early days as a walk-on QB, his iconic duel against Mahomes in 2016, the importance of being a “football house guy,” how he started a game for the Rams in less than 48 hours, shit talking strategies, relationship with Mike Evans, being a girl dad, getting welcome to the NFL by Fletcher Cox, and more! And that wraps up season 3 of New Heights! We have to thank all the 92%ers who tuned in this season, all of the incredible guests who gave us their time, and the amazing crew that helped produce this show every week. Thank you to our partner, Royal Caribbean.

• 0:03Travis Kelce?

Dude, have you seen this? Royal Caribbean just dropped the Legend of the Seas. It's the biggest cruise ship on the planet. Like, nothing's even close to being this big. And it's sailing out of Fort Lauderdale, starting this November.

• 0:18Speaker 00

That's right, this thing is stacked. Seven pools, more places to eat than you can even count. I mean, they have something for everybody.

• 0:27Travis Kelce?

Like, bring the kids, bring mom and dad, shoot, bring the whole crew. Everybody's got a spot, that's what makes it special.

• 0:34Speaker 00

And the entertainment, Latin music, ice skating, full-on Broadway shows. It's pretty amazing, pretty much everything you want in one place. Oh, and did I mention there's a water park?

• 0:44Travis Kelce?

You didn't, and that's, that'd be the kicker for me.

• 0:46Speaker 00

  I love a water park.

• 0:47Travis Kelce?

But the crazy one? Crown's Edge, a ropes course off the side of the ship. Not for the faint of heart, brother.

• 0:56Speaker 00

They've also got Playmaker Sports Bar and Arcade, so that means games on every screen. I love a good arcade, sports place combination.

• 1:05Travis Kelce?

All right, count me in, get the family on the new Legend of the Seas, sailing November 2026 from Fort Lauderdale, Florida.

Usually the conversation around here is about football. Today, the topic is gas for one of the sponsors, specifically Mobile Supreme Plus Premium Gasoline. Let's start with the fact that Mobile Supreme Plus Premium is amazing. It keeps engines three times cleaner, so engines perform better for better gas mileage. Just ask motorsports legend Shirley Chacha Muldowney. She raced top fuel dragsters in the 70s, so she knows a thing or two about gasoline. She also knows a thing or two about the 70s, so if there are any questions about leisure suits, vinyl, or fondue, fire away. One might wonder why they call her Chacha. Like, is it a family name, or a marketing ploy? Or maybe she thought it sounded cool? It's very curious. Getting back to fuel, Shirley and the team highly recommend Mobile Supreme Plus Premium Gas,

• 1:59Speaker 02

because it keeps engines three times cleaner for better performance and gas mileage. By the way, Chacha Muldowney, she drove a pink car. Mobile, legendary. Three times cleaner compared to mobile regular gas and port fuel-injected engines. Actual results may vary, visit mobilefuels.com for details.

To realize the future America needs, we understand what's needed from us to face each threat head on. We've earned our place in the fight for our nation's future. We are Marines. We were made for this.

• 2:30Speaker 00

Pretty woman, walking down the street. Pretty woman. The one I like to meet. Pretty woman. I wanna know you.

• 2:46Speaker 00

Yeah, I have no idea what the words are.

• 2:51Speaker 00

  It's a great tune though.

• 2:52Travis Kelce?

  It's a banger.

• 2:53Speaker 00

Was that song made specifically for that movie?

• 2:56Travis Kelce?

That movie was in the 90s. That song was from like the fucking 60s, 70s or something.

• 3:00Speaker 00

No chance that song is from the 60s. What? 64?

• 3:05Travis Kelce?

  Damn.

• 3:05Speaker 00

That's not Roy Overston? Is that real?

• 3:08Travis Kelce?

Look at this. Fuck it. This dude's, he's got it.

• 3:10Speaker 04

Is that real? Yes. I love when I show Jason the results of a search and he tells me he's just like, no, you're wrong.

• 3:20Speaker 00

So they named the movie just knowing they were gonna use that song?

• 3:24Travis Kelce?

Knowing that that was gonna be the song that they

• 3:26Speaker 00

  Tied everything to you?

• 3:27Travis Kelce?

Transitioned, yeah. When she transitioned from

• 3:29Speaker 00

  Dude, that?

• 3:30Travis Kelce?

Looking like a stripper into looking like a

• 3:32Speaker 00

  That montage?

• 3:33Travis Kelce?

  Classy lady.

• 3:34Speaker 00

I've seen a lot of great montages. Rocky Balboa, Rambo, and as much as I like seeing guys shot up, seeing Julia Roberts get all done up and then go back to the woman that shoot her away the day before.

• 3:46Travis Kelce?

  Yeah.

• 3:47Speaker 00

So, do you work on commission? Big mistake! That was a ballin' movie. That was a ballin' movie.

• 3:53Travis Kelce?

  That was a banger.

• 3:59Speaker 00

• 5:19Travis Kelce?

Man, we had some bangers. We had a bunch of fun guests, man.

• 5:23Speaker 00

It's kind of unreal how many unbelievable guests we've had on the show.

• 5:27Travis Kelce?

Dude, and we got another one today. We're ending it with an amazing guest.

• 5:32Speaker 00

We've been waiting to get him on. We've been hoping he would come onto the show for a long time. He's been ducking us.

• 5:38Travis Kelce?

  He's been ducking us.

• 5:40Speaker 00

We finally caught him when he didn't have anything better to do.

• 5:43Travis Kelce?

  Yeah.

• 5:44Speaker 00

Baker Mayfield is on the show right after.

• 5:46Travis Kelce?

  Shake a bake, baby.

• 5:47Speaker 00

To the start of this thing. You're not going to want to miss it. One of the best personalities in professional sports, period. The quarterback from the Tampa Bay Buccaneers is going to join us later on in this episode. Before we get to that, though, we are going to get to our review of Pretty Woman with the New Heights Film Club and also we're going to start with, of course, some new news from across the world.

• 6:09Travis Kelce?

  All right, man.

• 6:09Speaker 00

New news is brought to you by American Express. We've got a special edition of new news. Take a look at this. It's pretty awesome.

• 6:20Speaker 05

  The boys, I miss ya.

• 6:22Travis Kelce?

  The Stan man.

• 6:24Speaker 05

Yes, yes. You guys are doing alright, eh?

• 6:28Speaker 00

  We're doing good.

• 6:29Travis Kelce?

We're enjoying the life, man. This is my last week of freedom, man, before I'm back in the, uh, in the grind.

• 6:34Speaker 05

It's about time, buddy. I've been seeing little things of you both looking happy. You, you, you golfing. Jason's, uh, was in underwear that was

• 6:46Speaker 05

filled, filled to the brim with a beautiful hug, a beautiful hug.

• 6:53Travis Kelce?

  The old bald eagle, baby.

• 6:54Speaker 00

Had to go with the extra small, but it got in there. It was, it was.

• 6:59Speaker 05

It seemed like it was doing just fine, man. When I'm in a fucking, uh, when I'm in a fucking wet suit, holy shit, it's humiliating.

• 7:10Speaker 05

Miss you guys. Your dad, your dad did good in the movie. He's all over it.

• 7:15Travis Kelce?

Oh, I cannot wait, man. This is gonna be so epic, man.

• 7:19Speaker 00

When you told me that at the Super Bowl, I was so excited. I'm like, oh, yes, Big Ed.

• 7:23Speaker 05

Big Ed's in, in literally, I, I think 15, maybe, maybe 20 shots. Every time we cut to somebody, I see Big Ed. He was playing it real, sipping coffee, I think, looking good.

• 7:36Travis Kelce?

He was, he was in it, man.

• 7:37Speaker 00

  Way to go, Pop.

• 7:39Travis Kelce?

He was in it, just over your shoulder at the dinner. That shit was epic, man. Appreciate you letting the big guy get in on that.

• 7:45Speaker 00

Is, is Bagel still around? Where's Bagel at?

• 7:47Speaker 05

Bagel is, Bagel is comfortably laying in the house with the, with the humidity. We keep him, we keep him in the house.

• 7:54Travis Kelce?

AC, it's a good AC. It's a luxury living right there for.

• 7:59Speaker 05

Yes, yes, he's doing very well.

• 8:01Speaker 00

  Good, good.

• 8:02Speaker 05

You know, Bagel's name used to be Pablo when we first bought him. I let him know that yesterday. I said, we changed your name and Bagel stared at me like, I was Pablo? Are you fucking kidding me?

• 8:13Speaker 05

You took that from me, you motherfucker?

• 8:18Speaker 00

Oh my gosh. Is Bagel in, uh, is Bagel in the new Happy Gilmore? Happy Gilmore 2? Did he make an appearance?

• 8:24Speaker 05

Is Bagel in, uh, Happy Gilmore 2? I don't think so. I don't think he got in there, man. He tried, but, uh, he was asking for crazy money, crazy money.

• 8:33Speaker 05

He was asking for Travis money. I was like, calm the fuck down.

• 8:38Speaker 00

All right, new news. New news is brought to you by American Express. We've got a special edition of new news.

• 8:45Travis Kelce?

  All right, man.

• 8:46Speaker 00

Here to help us is the stars of Happy Gilmore 2. That's right.

• 8:50Travis Kelce?

  Cool.

• 8:50Speaker 00

Well, he's the main star. He's the, he's the guy. He's Happy Gilmore. He is Adam Sandler.

• 8:58Speaker 05

Whoa, I think it's equal, man. Me and Travis are pretty equal, buddy.

• 9:02Speaker 00

Fair enough. Sorry. Travis Gelsey also star of Happy Gilmore 2.

• 9:06Speaker 05

Yes. A handsome star, a stud. You should have seen him.

• 9:10Travis Kelce?

So much fun doing that, man.

• 9:12Speaker 00

  He did good?

• 9:13Speaker 05

Jason, he was so cool. He was just like you. Just like you when you just over with announcing. You guys just go, all right, if I'm doing this, I might as well be great at this. Anyways, yeah, you were cool as shit. Travis was locked in. He had to kind of be a bad guy. He was just there.

• 9:32Travis Kelce?

It was the perfect remedy, man. It was the perfect remedy. It was just so much fun to hearing, hearing the role and then Adam helping me like find the role on set and then just like, it took me a second to act because looking at Bad Bunny in a scene, it's hilarious. It's hilarious. Bad Bunny is just naturally funny as fuck. I don't know if people aren't around him enough. They're gonna find out in Happy Gilmore 2 how funny this guy really is.

• 9:58Speaker 05

You two guys were amazing together. Yeah, yeah, too. He was so sweet and you were, you had to be a little bit of a louse to him, man. And you, and you, you didn't like doing it because you loved the guy.

• 10:09Travis Kelce?

I loved him. You already know.

• 10:11Speaker 05

You had to be mean to Benito, but we got it done and you look cool. And I gotta tell you, Travis, how tall are you, Travis? Six, five?

• 10:19Travis Kelce?

  Six, five, yeah.

• 10:21Speaker 05

The six, five of you is gonna, it's definitely gonna make Benito nervous. He would tower over Benito. They look cool.

• 10:30Travis Kelce?

Oh, man. It was. That was so much friggin' fun, man. And we got Big Ed in there, man. You were kind enough to let my dad throw on a gold jacket and have some fun, man.

• 10:39Speaker 05

Yeah, your dad was smooth as hell. I was telling you guys, he's in loads of shots every, I think it's when you cut to either me or Lee Trevino, you see Ed. And he's always right in, right in the shot, looking cool as hell, looking like a, a proud member of the gold jacket club. He, I don't know what year your father in the movie won, won the gold jacket, but he, he wore it proudly and he was cool as hell.

• 11:03Speaker 00

  Oh, my gosh.

• 11:04Travis Kelce?

It was so epic to be, not only to be in the sequel, but to be in it with Lee Trevino, who was really the only golfer that was in the first one.

• 11:13Speaker 05

Yeah, that, that's so funny, fellas. When we did the first one, we were goofy. We were young and goofy. And I think we wanted, we talked about other golfers being in it and we did the movie for Universal. We, we would mention it to them. Could you maybe get so and so? And they'd be like, uh, he said no, no. Everybody said no. We were like, oh, okay. And then Lee Trevino out of nowhere, he said he'd be in our movie and he, and he did it. And, and then 30 years later, he, all his buddies showed up too. Abba Jack Nicholas, how cool he was.

• 11:43Travis Kelce?

Abba Jack, dude, the smoothest guy in the world, man.

• 11:47Speaker 05

  Yeah, man.

• 11:48Travis Kelce?

Just a buttery swing. It's just a, just a kind, cool cat when you meet him, man.

• 11:52Speaker 05

  I know, man. That was.

• 11:53Travis Kelce?

My dad was in heaven meeting all, all the, all the, oh, Jesus, golf, man.

• 11:58Speaker 05

No doubt about it. Your father. Now, what sports did your dad, uh, play growing up? Everything?

• 12:03Travis Kelce?

He was a baseball guy. He was a baseball. He played some football as well, but he was a baseball guy.

• 12:08Speaker 00

Yeah, he played baseball, football, and then, uh, later on played rugby.

• 12:13Speaker 05

  Ooh.

• 12:13Travis Kelce?

What's funny though, is that he actually handed us a set of what looked like Happy Gilmore Clubs. It was the old skinny bag with the, the woods that actually had like the wood with like, uh, just like a metal face or something. The old style. Yeah, exactly.

• 12:29Speaker 05

  Got you.

• 12:29Travis Kelce?

He handed us those when we were younger and that's what we played with when we were young.

• 12:33Speaker 05

That's amazing. You, so you guys used to walk around the course together, all, all the Kelsey family?

• 12:38Speaker 00

Well, my dad didn't do any of the golfing. He basically, my dad was trying to figure out, how can I get these guys like out of the house during the summer? So he bought us some used clubs that played against sports for like as cheap as he could get them.

• 12:51Speaker 05

  Right.

• 12:52Speaker 00

And then he just sent us to the local public course Highlands up in Cleveland, Ohio. And it was like five hours of free getting these boys away from me.

• 13:00Speaker 05

That's so true. So true. Makes total sense. Now I totally understand as a parent, why my father would go, you look tired, go to sleep. And I'd be like, I'm not tired. It's two in the afternoon. What are we talking about? He'd be like, take a nap. You need a nap.

• 13:17Speaker 05

But yeah, my father too, fellas, he, my father was a great golfer and he would get me and my brother out there. And my father is one of those guys who knew what he was doing with his, with his hands. And, uh, and he did, he was electrical, uh, engineer and contractor and kind of knew. And he would take real clubs and shorten them for us. He'd be downstairs cutting shit up, making it work. And then we had little clubs that worked for a while.

• 13:43Speaker 00

  Holy cow.

• 13:44Travis Kelce?

That's a good dad right there.

• 13:46Speaker 05

  It was cool, man.

• 13:47Speaker 00

  Very cool.

• 13:48Speaker 05

  Yeah, that was nice.

• 13:49Travis Kelce?

You gotta tell the, uh, the honest, where did that actual happy swing, like the, the, the crow hop into the, into the ball? Where did that come from?

• 13:58Speaker 05

Me and, uh, Tim Hurley, he and Dennis Dugan, the director, we were like, shouldn't Happy kind of have like a, like a sort of a hockey swing? And I said, yeah, how about I kind of run up then and give it like a slap shot kind of little momentum? And we just started doing that.

• 14:11Speaker 00

  That's amazing.

• 14:12Travis Kelce?

This is epic. The fact that you could just do it on the fly like that, had the hand eye coordination to get on to hit the ball solid like that, that had to be fun.

• 14:20Speaker 05

Oh man, I mean, look, I don't, I, when I get out there, like I played with Bryson like two weeks ago and he had me do this, he was filming and for his show and he had me do the swing. And I think I did it twice and I hit it twice decent, but it had like a little fade on it. I wish I, I wish I had a draw going, but I couldn't get it. I couldn't get that. I get that fade every time I'm, I'm up here with it. Then I go, remember, swing out. Then I go, no, I'm gonna do it the wrong way.

• 14:51Speaker 00

  Over the top, baby.

• 14:52Speaker 05

Over the top, like an idiot. I know it. I know it while I'm doing it. I'm going, why are you doing this? You idiot, son.

• 15:00Travis Kelce?

  We love it, man.

• 15:01Speaker 00

Nothing wrong with a good power fade.

• 15:03Speaker 05

  Exactly.

• 15:04Speaker 00

Lee was the only guy that would do it last time. It feels like there can't be many people that you called up and said, hey, do you want to be in Happy Gilmore 2 and weren't interested in being? I mean, what was it like filming it this time around that was different from the first time around?

• 15:17Speaker 05

You know, I, I like, we, we tried to make it a real athlete. Like you, you guys know the deal and you know it, Jason. We were thinking like when an athlete retires, like what goes on throughout the day and, and like, and how you miss it. And then you, you kind of say, if I got out there again, you know, like that's kind of like, your whole life is one thing. And then all of a sudden you're not doing that. And so we made a, the story of Happy is that he's, he's been out for 10 years and uh, he decides he's kind of out of cash and he's like, I gotta get back on there. And, and, and we knew to make it real and have him be on a pro tour, I, I, I put out a lot of calls to,

• 16:00Speaker 05

to the real golfers just to make it look authentic. And, um, and the day that Travis was there was nothing but superstars there in the golf world.

• 16:10Travis Kelce?

It was filled with them. The new, the old, it was everybody.

• 16:14Speaker 05

Yeah, it was, it was a day, well, well, a couple of days we'll never forget. And, and they loved Travis, like every one of them.

• 16:21Travis Kelce?

We happened to have a bunch of them that I was already cool with and huge fans of like Spieth and Shoffley and all them. And it's, it's the best.

• 16:28Speaker 05

Yes. You, you gave a nice chest bump to, to Xander. And, uh, I, I, it was a big time. It was a big, we were all loving that day. It was, uh, I think it was like two, two days of fun. Yeah. It was, I think in the movie, that scene turned out great. You're, you're all over Travis. Whatever you gave us was great. And then whatever these, the, all the, the golfers gave us and lady golfers from the, uh, then the, from the female tour, they, they were awesome. And the, uh, there's so many great athletes all over the movie, man.

• 17:00Speaker 00

I could not be more excited for Happy Gilmore 2 to come out. Like, is there anything else you want to like, give us on it or put out there like?

• 17:08Speaker 05

I just want to say thank you to everybody. I mean, so many cameos. Everybody came and did. I know they would be a nice to me and do me a favor. It's a lot of time making a movie. You sit, you hang, you you don't have that much to do at times. It can get frustrating, but nobody showed that. Everybody. It was like a it was like a clubhouse. Everybody, every day was a new bunch of people coming in for a day or two and we all just sat and hung out.

• 17:33Travis Kelce?

  It was so cool, man.

• 17:34Speaker 05

Travis, man, you were so cool to all of every one of us. You came with bruises on your back, man. You I think you just played in Pittsburgh or something, right?

• 17:46Speaker 00

  That's great.

I had a few a few catches the week before, man. I was lucky. For everyone that doesn't know, I did it on the the bye week last year and it was so much fun getting getting away for three days and jumping on a set with Happy Madison. You guys run it like a family. It is so cool to see, man. You guys do it better than any other set that I've ever been on. Not that I've been on a lot, man.

• 18:07Speaker 05

  Thanks, man.

• 18:08Travis Kelce?

It was so fricking cool. And you you mentioned, thank you to everybody that came in, man. Thank you for doing it the way you guys do it because you made everybody feel at home, feel comfortable. And I can't wait to see this masterpiece on July 25th, baby.

• 18:21Speaker 05

I love that you're in it, buddy. And we we worked hard. We hope everybody has a good time with. I can't wait. I know it's coming out and then it's out. That's that's life. You go. You just like you guys with the big game. You go been thinking about this my for a long time, all season. And then all of a sudden you go, here it is, man. Let's go.

• 18:39Travis Kelce?

You know, can't wait to see it, dawg.

• 18:41Speaker 00

It's gonna be, yeah, I mean, this is one of the most iconic movies that came out in the 90s. I mean, it was like, I can't believe it's actually happening again. I can't believe Happy Gilmore 2 is happening this far away from the first one. Could not be more excited.

• 18:56Speaker 05

Thank you, buddy. Thank you. I hope I hope you guys have a fun time.

• 18:59Travis Kelce?

Thank you for the time, big guy.

• 19:01Speaker 05

Love you, boys. And I'll see you real soon and say hi to the families.

• 19:05Travis Kelce?

The same, man. Have fun at the premiere, man. Wish I could be there. I'll be in old St. Joe, Missouri. Catching catching catching the ball from old Patty Mahomes, man. But I wish I could be there. You're the best. Thank you again for letting me and my pops come in and have some fun with you.

• 19:19Speaker 05

Have a great season. Fellas, I'm going on tour. In September, if you guys are near any of the shows, come to the shows.

• 19:25Travis Kelce?

  Oh, you know I'm in.

• 19:27Speaker 05

September and October. Yeah, I think, I think I'm, I'm thinking I'm going to be near both of you guys. So you, you, you'll let me know.

• 19:33Travis Kelce?

We'll find it. We'll find it, big guy.

• 19:35Speaker 05

  All right, boys.

• 19:36Travis Kelce?

  Have fun, big guy.

• 19:37Speaker 05

Love you. Love you guys. Take care.

• 19:39Travis Kelce?

The sandman. Thank you to our sponsor, Colgate Total.

• 19:49Travis Kelce?

That's true. Otherwise, you're just out there running cardio. Can't get open for a big play.

• 19:55Speaker 00

But it's not just football. There's a lot of things you need to prevent before they start.

• 19:59Travis Kelce?

  Yeah, like in your mouth.

• 20:01Speaker 00

  My mouth specifically?

• 20:03Travis Kelce?

I mean, probably yours too, but I'm talking everybody's mouth. There's bacteria in there that can lead to oral health problems like cavities, gingivitis.

Ha ha! So Bigga Mayfield is not the only guest. The Sandman showed up. That was pretty awesome.

• 22:11Travis Kelce?

Hee hee hee hee, the Sandman!

• 22:14Speaker 00

  That's right, that's right.

• 22:15Travis Kelce?

I love that dude, man. And I was talking to Will Compton and Taylor Luan about this. It's like there's the, there's the, the heroes that they say, you mean, don't meet your heroes. And then there's the heroes that you do meet because they exceed how cool and how amazing they are.

• 22:33Speaker 00

  Yeah.

• 22:33Travis Kelce?

And every single time I'm around him, man, that guy just, he, he makes you feel at home. He makes you feel loved and he just makes you feel like you've been homies since, since the first time you saw him on the screen. It's so cool, man.

• 22:44Speaker 00

He lives up to it. Yeah, for sure. Well, I am thoroughly excited for Happy Gilmore 2. Cannot wait for it to come out on Netflix coming up this week.

• 22:53Travis Kelce?

  Uh, the 25th.

• 22:54Speaker 00

Gonna be awesome. Can't wait to see Travis's mustache as well as Big Ed roaming around there. And also freaking, come on, the Sandman, shoot him, Gavin.

• 23:04Travis Kelce?

Happy Gilmore giving it another run.

• 23:06Speaker 00

  Let's go, baby.

• 23:07Travis Kelce?

  Let's go.

• 23:08Speaker 00

Next, but a new news. By the time this airs, training camp has officially started for the Kansas City Chiefs. Trav, how we feeling, buddy?

• 23:16Travis Kelce?

I'm ready to rock and roll, baby.

• 23:18Speaker 00

13, that's when I called it a wrap. 13, lucky number was enough for me.

• 23:23Travis Kelce?

Yeah, maybe that was a good number for you, Jason. You wore 13 and on your hockey jerseys and baseball jerseys growing up.

• 23:29Speaker 00

Mm-hmm, mm-hmm. And you guys open up on Friday, right?

• 23:31Travis Kelce?

Yeah, we're Friday, Friday night in Sao Paulo.

• 23:35Speaker 00

Friday, the, the 13th season, Friday the 13th for Travis Kelce.

• 23:41Speaker 00

  Just.

• 23:41Travis Kelce?

I don't think it's. All right, I'll go with it. It's not the 13th for those who want to watch the game.

• 23:46Speaker 00

For you, so it's kind of like Friday the 13th.

• 23:48Travis Kelce?

No, feeling good. I'm ready to rock and roll, man. I'm ready. I'm ready to get this ball rolling. Uh, I've been saying it. It's kind of ironic. I'm going to be at, uh, beautiful St. Joe, Missouri, Missouri Western State University for the 13th year of my career. And I will, I will officially have been able to say that I've spent a year in, in the dorm rooms at, uh, at Missouri Western for a year of my life. I've spent an entire 13 years and three weeks in every single year leading up to the season. So that basically is, yeah, an entire year of my life in dorm rooms in a college that I've never even applied to.

• 24:29Travis Kelce?

I think it's kind of, I mean, it's my sanctuary, really. It's my sanctuary. It's where I, it's where I like turn, flip the switch and, and, and kind of turn it to the, the football mode and I eat, breathe and sleep football there. And it kind of gets me ready for the season. So I'm excited to get there. Um, everybody at St. Joe is, is always amazing. Um, they really roll out the red carpet out there and, uh, yeah, I'm ready to rock and roll, man.

• 24:53Speaker 00

Anything else you feel worth sharing of St. Joe?

• 24:56Travis Kelce?

No, man. I just, like I said, I eat, breathe and sleep football. I'm just, I, I put my phone down. I really don't answer any texts or any calls. And yeah, I just think about, you know, my craft.

• 25:06Speaker 00

All right. Perfect. Well, there's, uh, somebody that is excited about St. Joe's as well. And his name is Patrick Mahomes said about the upcoming season, you know, I'm honestly just ready to play football again. Whenever you lose, you kind of have this taste in your mouth and you want to get back out there and avenge that or whatever you want to say. But at the same time, I feel like I've had to sit back and just listen to people talk and talk. And I'm just ready to play football and handle it all out there. Sounds like somebody's pretty fired up to get back out there. What about you, Trav? How do you feel?

• 25:37Travis Kelce?

I think we're all along those lines, man.

• 25:39Speaker 00

  Yeah.

• 25:40Travis Kelce?

I don't think you play that game 10 times. That's the outcome. I will say the Eagles got the better of us, but at the same time, this year, we got a lot of really good players coming back. We got a lot of guys that we're looking to take that next step in terms of their accountability and being playmakers in the league. And sure enough, we kind of remolded the offense and defensive lines. And I'm just fired up to get this thing, you know, running. I think, I think in training camp, it's such a beautiful thing because you start to, you start to see how guys react when they're tired. You start to see how guys grind. And you start to see how guys kind of mold themselves into their role on the team. And I'm excited to see, you know, who steps up and then

• 26:21Travis Kelce?

how we're, and the team that we can, we're able to shape going into the season, man. It's, it's always a fun time in, in training camp, knowing that, you know, everyone's there to work their ass off and, and try and make this team.

• 26:33Speaker 00

For sure. And I mean, especially, I love training camp, especially now that I don't have to practice in it. I just get to go and watch and work with the guys.

• 26:42Speaker 00

I don't gotta put them pads on, go out there. Hey, let's do a little mirror drill. Let's get warmed up. All right, come on. I'm looking forward to getting out there. I'm, there's something about like the, the energy in the air for the start of training camp is like so infectious, because everybody's been waiting to get back out there, especially the first day in pads, right? You're, and there's, you can, all of your senses are heightened. You can smell the grass. You can, you can feel the pads on your shoulder, the water in the sweat dripping down your back. There's like something about it, like the first time you put all that back on, that it just lets you know that football season is here. I can't wait to go to the Eagles training camp, work with some of these offensive linemen, see what the team's looking like, get

• 27:24Speaker 00

back around the guys. There's a lot of energy for both teams, right? Obviously, Kansas City and the Eagles coming off of the Super Bowl, expectations are high again. What else more would you want? And in Philly, we got some new pieces coming in. There's a position on the offensive line that's going to have some competition for it. So I look forward to watching that in particular. Got some new pieces on defense. I always love training camp. I, I know that it's one of those things that's like love hate because you know it's difficult and you know how challenging it's going to be. But when you're a competitor and you love the sport, even though that's challenging.

• 28:00Speaker 00

Hopefully you have that on mute when you're in training camp, Travis.

• 28:05Travis Kelce?

  And if I don't.

• 28:07Speaker 00

  What's Tom Felton gonna do?

• 28:10Travis Kelce?

  Turn that shit off.

• 28:14Travis Kelce?

Dude, there was one time, and I think the story is already out there. There was one training camp where I, uh, my phone went off like that. And it used to be a really, really obnoxious, um, screaming sound of R2-D2 in Star Wars.

• 28:28Speaker 00

  Yeah.

• 28:29Travis Kelce?

I don't, I don't know if you remember my phone having this, uh, this alarm or this phone call.

• 28:33Speaker 00

For sure. I definitely remember it.

• 28:38Travis Kelce?

It was literally the most annoying sound in the world.

• 28:44Travis Kelce?

That thing went off in a team meeting and Coach Reed is the one talking. It's like, it's one thing if it's like an install or like somebody else is talking, but no, the big man's talking to the entire team.

• 28:56Speaker 00

Yeah. Everybody's doing the cough to try and hide.

• 29:00Travis Kelce?

  You can't hide.

• 29:01Speaker 00

You can't hide that one. Can't hide R2-D2.

• 29:03Travis Kelce?

But I used to do it because I was such a heavy sleeper and I would sleep through my alarm sometimes. So I would made it the most annoying loud sound. So I would just get up and like, I would be awake from that point on. And man, I started fiddling with it too, too fast. And I'm like trying, I'm like terrified at this point. I'm like, don't look up. And I'm like trying to stop it and it won't stop. So I just get up in the middle of the TV room, go down the aisle, out the door and just fucking chuck it as far as I can. You just hear it bouncing off the floor, the wall, the this, the that, and it finally stops. And then I walk back to the seat, just like head down, just like, fuck it. Don't even look at it.

• 29:40Speaker 00

  Don't even look at him.

• 29:41Travis Kelce?

Don't even look at him. But just sit down and I, I, I think I heard him chuckle. Like that was the most ridiculous way to handle that.

• 29:50Speaker 00

I mean, that's a funny ass thing to do. And if I was a coach, I'd be like, all right, he gets it. He gets it.

• 29:55Travis Kelce?

  Yeah.

• 29:56Speaker 00

He made a mistake. He's good to go though. Dude, that's fucking amazing.

• 30:02Travis Kelce?

I, I haven't had that rigor ever since, just in case that happened. That was,

• 30:06Speaker 00

  Dude, that's a solid one.

• 30:07Travis Kelce?

It would have, it would have then just reminded me of that moment of embarrassment.

• 30:12Speaker 00

It is a, it's a tough one. How do you get guys off the phones? Cause now everybody's on the phones, right? And the coaches have difficulty keeping guys off the phones in meetings.

• 30:20Travis Kelce?

  What? Nobody's in the phones.

• 30:23Speaker 00

Come on now. Don't give me this. This motherfucker. You're not in the phones and meeting with Tom Melo?

• 30:28Travis Kelce?

  No, I don't.

• 30:31Speaker 00

Alright. Good. No, that's good. That's good.

• 30:34Travis Kelce?

Once every blue moon, I'll be on.

• 30:35Speaker 00

  Yeah. Alright.

• 30:36Travis Kelce?

We always throw the phones out there. I'm talking like mid, mid-season, meeting after the, after the practice. Like I'll be in there while we're watching practice that I already just practiced.

• 30:47Speaker 00

Seen the same thing a million times.

• 30:48Travis Kelce?

Yeah. I might've, I might just kind of peek at the phone and answer a text. Yeah, that's it. I'm not searching shit and like looking at, scrolling through Instagram or anything.

• 30:59Speaker 00

Listen, good for you. Good for you. I'm just saying. People do do that. I'm not accusations of anybody. People do that.

• 31:06Travis Kelce?

  Nah, it's all good.

• 31:08Speaker 00

The way Stout discourages people looking at the phone is called a cold calling. It's one of his like, uh, signature things that he calls it. I think he learned it from like some teaching class or something. At any moment, if he suspects anybody's looking at their phone or they're not paying attention, they're starting to nod off, he'll hit them with a question and, but he'll ask the question first and then say the name. That's a very important distinction. He doesn't say, hey, Travis, what is the Y have on such and such and such? He'll be like, alright, what's the Y got on, uh, 74 per section Travis? And it's like, oh shit. Now, once, cause if you hear your name first, then you're locked in. Boom. But if you hear your name after the question, it's like, oh shit, I better have heard that whole thing. Catches guys all the time. And then you gotta stay locked in.

• 31:54Travis Kelce?

That wouldn't faze me. I'd own that all day.

• 31:56Speaker 00

Dude, my favorite used to be landing over there in the corner.

• 32:01Travis Kelce?

  Don't do Landon like this.

• 32:03Speaker 00

Well, Landon's smart as fuck. I'm not doing Landon like this. Landon's smart as fuck. One of the smartest guys ever played. He plays a dumbass on social media and whatnot like he's a big, like goofy son of a bitch. That dude is fucking dialed in. He knows his assignment. You ain't fucking catching him.

• 32:17Travis Kelce?

  Yeah.

• 32:18Speaker 00

But every once in a while, he's looking at lawn mowers in the middle of the meeting.

• 32:23Travis Kelce?

  I get that zero turn.

• 32:24Speaker 00

He's looking at fucking Auto Trader or something like that, or whatever the fuck it is.

• 32:27Travis Kelce?

That's I mean, that's a good fucking magazine right there.

• 32:29Speaker 00

And Stata hit him with a cold call. He's like, ah, yeah, you got it. He's like, yeah, I got you, motherfucker.

• 32:37Travis Kelce?

  It's so good.

• 32:38Speaker 00

The cold calling surefire way to keep guys locked in.

• 32:41Travis Kelce?

Tommy Tom's gonna be cold calling my sorry ass.

• 32:44Speaker 00

Come on, Tom. Hit him with the cold calls.

• 32:48Travis Kelce?

Can't get me, Tom. You know you can't.

• 32:50Speaker 00

All right, that does it for Training Camp New News, brought to you by American Express. Will this season feel any different without the executive director of the NFL, Lloyd How? Is that who? I thought it was the P A.

• 33:03Speaker 04

Yeah, it's supposed to say P A. Sorry. I copied and pasted something weird. I'll find a picture of him.

• 33:07Speaker 00

Yeah, I know who this is.

• 33:08Speaker 04

Do you want to talk about it or not?

• 33:10Speaker 00

I mean, I do. I think, I mean, it's unfortunate. For those of you that don't know, Lloyd How, the NFL P A's executive director was, uh, well, I guess he resigned technically, right? Is that right, Brandon? Brandon, is he resigned or was?

• 33:25Speaker 04

He resigned last night. Ryan, last night as of this recording.

• 33:28Speaker 00

He resigned Thursday night, was discovered that he and maybe other employees, I don't really know the full parameters of this. I don't want to, I also don't want to get a lot of.

• 33:40Travis Kelce?

I think we, I don't think we should do this, dude. Yeah.

• 33:42Speaker 00

There was a report, I'm not saying it's true or not. I have no idea of whether it's true.

• 33:47Travis Kelce?

  Jason, it's on ESPN.

• 33:50Speaker 00

Uh, there was a report out there that they were spending, they were using the company card of the NFL P A on strip club visits and holding business meetings there. And apparently you can't do that. It's against company policy.

• 34:04Travis Kelce?

How do you feel about that, Jason? Do you think you should be able to?

• 34:06Speaker 00

All right, here's the official thing. All right, this is from ESPN. A solid establishment, no few people there. Former NFLPA leader Lloyd Howell Jr. Resigned after an outside investigator hired by the union. So somebody with inside the union ratted him out. Man, that's fucked up. All right. Received documents this week showing he charged the union for two visits to strip clubs, including a $738.82 car service that took him from the airport to one of the clubs. That's an expensive car service, right? How much is a car service?

• 34:43Travis Kelce?

He got, he was the guy limousine.

• 34:48Speaker 00

The car's first stop was at a nearby Miami Gardens address. The receipt shows only one other stop nearly eight hours later.

• 34:57Travis Kelce?

So why are you putting this on the company card? What are we doing?

• 35:04Speaker 00

The employees Googled the Miami Gardens address and discovered it was Tootsie's Cabaret, which I've not been, but I have heard great things of that establishment.

• 35:14Travis Kelce?

It's a 76,000 square foot venue that bills itself as the world's largest strip club, in quotes, full nude, number one rated.

• 35:23Speaker 00

I mean, it sounds like a good establishment. I mean.

• 35:26Travis Kelce?

To be fair, I've, I've heard the, I've heard the wings are good there. Like everyone loves the wings there.

• 35:31Speaker 00

During this year's NFLPA Summit on February 21st, Howell accompanied two union employees to the Magic City Strip Club for an outing that included $2,426 in charges, including cash withdrawals ranging from $200 to $525 from a club ATM. Sources and documents show they used two VIP rooms. Well, I mean, the VIP rooms is where you get me because listen, this is the only thing I don't know. Was it being used for business expense or not? If it was being used and business was happening, I don't see what the issue is. I mean, they're conducting business, right?

• 36:05Travis Kelce?

  What was the business?

• 36:07Speaker 00

NFLPA business. I don't know what the business was.

• 36:09Travis Kelce?

It says it right here. The strip club outing was used to.

• 36:11Speaker 00

According to the expense report, the purpose of the strip club outing, player engagement event to support and grow our union. I'm going to be honest, there's not a lot of engagement that happens with the players' union. It's hard to get guys to go to meetings and get involved. Having a meeting at Tootsie's might, is not a bad idea to improve engagement.

• 36:30Travis Kelce?

  Yeah.

• 36:30Speaker 00

You're probably going to get more players going.

• 36:32Travis Kelce?

Take them to the VIP room.

• 36:34Speaker 00

Well, that's where you lose because.

• 36:35Travis Kelce?

  Get their attention.

• 36:37Speaker 00

Well, you can't have too much business if you're in a one-on-one VIP room. It's a bold idea to create more engagement by Mr. Howell and it backfired.

• 36:53Travis Kelce?

You gotta use the reference what you said earlier.

• 36:56Speaker 00

  What was it?

• 36:57Travis Kelce?

Yeah, Applebee's or the strip club. If they're, it doesn't matter what you want.

• 37:02Speaker 00

I mean, you go to Applebee's at the business expense. You go to a strip club and you get wings. It's, I don't see why it's much different. I mean, it's, we're all 21 here, right?

• 37:13Speaker 00

But I, they don't have a VIP room at the Applebee's where you sit there for, all by yourself.

• 37:21Speaker 00

This can't bode well for upcoming contract negotiations with the league.

• 37:26Travis Kelce?

It's funny that this is what, then, this is what the players pay for. This is like, this, he's using the NFLPA's money for these expenses. And it's just, it's hilarious that, you know.

• 37:40Speaker 00

The Madden checks go there? Yeah.

• 37:42Travis Kelce?

We pay our dues to the union and this is what it's being used for. Wings. It's being used for wings in a VIP room.

• 37:52Speaker 00

I'm just saying, also, player engagement. You saw it right there on the report. There was, company morale is a big thing and improving them, the PA needs to improve their morale. There's not a lot of excitement when you talk about collective bargaining agreements. So you, you, you, I don't know. I mean, you have some wings. They might not have even known Tootsie's was a strip club. Maybe they thought they were going to a restaurant. I don't know what, who knows what they knew.

• 38:19Travis Kelce?

I mean, they knew when they walked in.

• 38:23Speaker 00

They do before they walked in.

• 38:26Speaker 00

Yeah, it's not good. It's not good. If they actually were, if they actually got work done. I mean, what if they had like laptops out and like were like crunching numbers at the fucking table?

• 38:44Travis Kelce?

They were crunching numbers and in between the numbers, they were going over to the ATM.

• 38:49Speaker 00

Excuse me, could you put this up on the display? Bambi, if you could please move to the side.

• 38:55Speaker 00

I just want to show that guaranteed contracts is a potential for the future of the NFL. Bambi, lower, don't lower, lower, Bambi, lower, lower. Alright.

• 39:08Speaker 00

You can see right here from my graph that if we just hold out for two to three weeks, that's X amount of money that the NFL is going to incur in expense. Bambi, move your tits. I'm trying to show my graph.

• 39:38Speaker 00

That word, have I gone too far? Have I gone too far with this?

• 39:45Speaker 00

  Oh, gosh.

• 39:53Travis Kelce?

It's so funny. Please give Bambi $200 so I can get her off the stage and show my graph.

• 40:03Speaker 00

We don't know what was going on in that building.

• 40:07Travis Kelce?

  It's so ridiculous.

• 40:10Speaker 00

It's pretty absurd. It's not good.

• 40:12Travis Kelce?

  Oh, man.

• 40:14Speaker 00

I don't really know what else to say. We just, I guess now we got to figure out a new executive director.

• 40:19Travis Kelce?

We gotta get out of this.

• 40:22Speaker 00

What's the next thing we can spend on a corporate card as the NFLPA?

• 40:27Speaker 00

  To be more ridiculous.

• 40:28Travis Kelce?

Well, thank you for that, Jason. Let's get to some fan mentions. Jason.

• 40:34Travis Kelce?

You are shirtless yet again. The irony is so good. Jason, shirtless is now a lawn art. Thank you to Garage Beer.

• 40:46Speaker 00

  It's pretty sick.

• 40:47Travis Kelce?

  It's actually really sick.

• 40:49Speaker 00

  I don't know.

• 40:49Travis Kelce?

It kind of blows my mind. Like, how?

• 40:53Speaker 00

So it's actually not even, he's not even mowing the lawn. Apparently he like blows it and it like turns in different directions or something like that. I don't really fully understand it.

• 41:01Travis Kelce?

  What?

• 41:02Speaker 00

He made it seem like there's like a specific machine that helps with this. I don't really fully understand any of it, to be honest with you.

• 41:09Travis Kelce?

I've only seen like the outfield at Jacobs Field or like Progressive Field where it's like cut in like angles and stuff like that.

• 41:18Speaker 00

  Yeah.

• 41:19Travis Kelce?

  Oh, this is crazy.

• 41:21Speaker 00

  Yeah.

• 41:22Travis Kelce?

  How does he do this?

• 41:24Speaker 00

  I don't know.

• 41:24Travis Kelce?

  No, he's mowing it.

• 41:26Speaker 00

I'm telling you, I've been in contact personally with the guy.

• 41:30Travis Kelce?

It's like he is on a mower right now mowing it.

• 41:33Speaker 00

Not a mower. It's like something that like blows the grass in specific ways. I don't fully understand.

• 41:39Travis Kelce?

He's got a computer on this thing that is basically like blowing the grass a certain way as he goes over it?

• 41:45Speaker 00

I don't even know. I have no idea what this technology is. For all I know, it could be the same technology that built the pyramids. I have no fucking clue what this is or how he did it.

• 41:55Travis Kelce?

It's an epic video that I just watched right there.

• 41:58Speaker 00

  Yeah, it's pretty remarkable.

• 42:00Travis Kelce?

Yeah. Do you understand how proud I am to be the reason that you did this ridiculous?

• 42:08Travis Kelce?

I feel so seen because this is, this is what, this is what my dream was always to make human beings do shit like this. Yeah. Just get this fucking hype about my performance.

• 42:22Speaker 00

Well, you've been doing it for years. You've been doing it for years, Travis.

• 42:25Travis Kelce?

  Thank you.

• 42:25Speaker 00

This combined with. Drinking for an entire six hours of Bill's Mafia before the game.

• 42:32Speaker 00

  Got me real excited.

• 42:33Travis Kelce?

  There you go.

• 42:34Speaker 00

That was a fucking really fun day.

• 42:36Travis Kelce?

  No, that's awesome.

• 42:37Speaker 00

Also, the first time I met your girlfriend. So that was, it was all timer.

• 42:41Travis Kelce?

  Oh, nice. That was then.

• 42:43Speaker 00

All righty, we got an update for Jets Jake tattoo. How about this?

• 42:48Travis Kelce?

  Oh.

• 42:50Speaker 00

It's official. There's somebody that is going to be getting a pinup tattoo of Jets Jake. It's been booked for next Thursday. According to this, hopefully no one else gets it before then. And shout out to the boys and Brandon for confirming they were serious. We'll post the pic as soon as it's done. I cannot wait. Next Thursday, this is posted, not today, probably yesterday or a couple of days ago. So it'll be done by next week.

• 43:15Travis Kelce?

  Yeah.

• 43:15Speaker 00

Cannot wait to see what this looks like. Anyone else looking to get a Jets Jake tattoo? You're officially on the clock.

• 43:23Travis Kelce?

  It got till Thursday.

• 43:25Speaker 00

Jake, how are you feeling about this? What do you think your pinup tattoo is gonna be?

• 43:29Speaker 07

First off, uh, this is fucking bizarre.

• 43:32Speaker 00

  I have some ideas.

• 43:33Speaker 07

  You have ideas?

• 43:34Speaker 00

I hope it includes something with the Jets, of course.

• 43:36Speaker 07

  Naturally.

• 43:37Speaker 00

And a hobby horse. Those are my two components that I would love this tattoo comprised of.

• 43:44Speaker 07

Hobby horse would be a nice little touch. I'm sure that would make my family a bit more comfortable with this idea. I do think it's, this is fuck, it's weird. It's fucking weird. I'm sorry. I'm just gonna say it's gonna be weird.

• 43:56Travis Kelce?

Jake, don't, don't think it's weird. You're the one that retweeted the first one. You retweeted the first one. Your hands were the ones that retweeted the first one. You did this.

• 44:05Speaker 07

This is true. This is all my fault. I will say it's also like, it's a, it's a little flattering. Like I am kinda honored. That's, it's.

• 44:15Speaker 07

I'm not gonna let, I'm, I'm, I'm staying with some buddies this week because our friends just got engaged. Shout out to Frankie and Josh, but everyone is just making fun of me relentlessly for the fact that this is happening. So they're keeping me humble, but I'm, I'm gonna say it's very flattering.

• 44:30Speaker 00

I feel like there's gotta be something with social media on it as well, like maybe like Twitter birds.

• 44:37Speaker 07

  Little Twitter bird.

• 44:38Speaker 00

  Yeah.

• 44:39Travis Kelce?

  Yeah, Twitter bird tattoo.

• 44:41Speaker 00

  Do you have any tattoos?

• 44:42Travis Kelce?

  Instagram logo tattoo.

• 44:44Speaker 07

I have no tattoos. I think I'm not going to get a tattoo of this person. That would be that's this is not like a one to one trade off scenario.

• 44:54Speaker 07

I would, if we can come up, I shouldn't say this on air.

• 44:59Speaker 00

Are you about to say you're willing to get a tattoo?

• 45:02Speaker 07

I, if we, if we come up with like the right type of bet down the line years from that, like this is a season four problem, you know, well, when we come back next season, we could workshop some, some tattoo ideas, but I might have Adrian edit this out of the podcast.

• 45:18Speaker 07

I immediately regret saying that, but we'll, we'll see.

• 45:21Speaker 00

No, no, it's on, it's on camera. It's on camera now.

• 45:24Travis Kelce?

  It's on camera.

• 45:25Speaker 00

Yeah. So we, now we know. Good to know. All righty. Well.

• 45:29Speaker 07

Yeah. We love the 92 percenters. It's very, that's the best fans in the world. So I, I'm.

• 45:34Speaker 00

Do you think the person willing to get this tattoo is male or female?

• 45:41Speaker 07

  I, I believe it's a male, but I would be, I don't know what's worse.

• 45:46Travis Kelce?

  Musical airman.

• 45:48Speaker 00

  Musical airman.

• 45:49Speaker 07

They get pinups. That's how pinups were started. It was like a military thing.

• 45:53Speaker 00

I mean, listen, he's an airman. He probably likes jets. Maybe this might be the sickest one of all of us, dude. Travis has an accelerator can. I don't even remember what mine is again. What was mine? What was? I forget.

• 46:04Speaker 07

Uh, the eagle. You had the eagle, dude.

• 46:06Travis Kelce?

  Yeah. You're bald eagle.

• 46:07Speaker 07

You're bald eagle. Which you brought to life.

• 46:10Speaker 00

For the Giants fan, do you want a small plane? Or do you want like a B 52 bomber? Like what kind of plane? A 757 down there?

• 46:22Speaker 07

I think a modest sleeve sized plane is perfectly fine.

• 46:31Speaker 00

  All right.

• 46:33Speaker 07

Yeah. Thanks, guys. I hope multiple people don't do this. This is, the one person is, is plenty. Shout out to him or her.

• 46:42Travis Kelce?

We'll see if somebody tries to beat him to the punch.

• 46:45Speaker 07

Jesus Christ. All right. Thanks, guys.

• 46:47Travis Kelce?

All right now, and, and a bakery slid into our DMs. How about that? Bakes? Cakes in Iowa, or I'm sorry, Ottawa, Ottawa, Kansas.

• 46:57Speaker 00

  There's an Ottawa, Kansas?

• 46:59Travis Kelce?

  Oh, yeah.

• 47:00Speaker 00

Never heard. Okay, cool. Ottawa, Kansas, there's a bakery called, uh, Bakes Cakes, super creative. Turn our favorite energy into a cupcake.

• 47:09Travis Kelce?

  That's right.

• 47:10Speaker 00

You gotta try these out, Trav.

• 47:11Travis Kelce?

Two of my favorite flavors. I could use one right now as I'm yawning, man. I haven't, I haven't got any down here in Florida since I'm down here right now.

• 47:18Speaker 00

Not gonna lie, they look very good. Is it, it's in the icing too?

• 47:21Travis Kelce?

I'm not a big icing guy, but, um, if it's got, if it's got caffeine in it.

• 47:27Speaker 00

I kind of copy, uh, talked about this on Kylie's podcast, Instagram. I like cream cheese frosting. I'm not a huge fan of a lot of frostings. I like cream cheese frosting. And I like chantilly. Have you ever had the chantilly berry cake from Whole Foods?

• 47:45Travis Kelce?

  No.

• 47:46Speaker 00

The frosting on that motherfucker is, it's insane. It's so good. It's light, it's airy, it's not too much. Fantastic cake. It really is.

• 47:55Travis Kelce?

The frosting can get a little thick, but I'm with you.

• 47:58Speaker 00

It's easy to mess that stuff up. I, I really don't like a lot of the times the cakes that are super artistic because many times I find that frosting to be similar to like wax. You know, it's like, I gotta like hold, it's like position. It, it's not the right texture or taste.

• 48:16Travis Kelce?

Yeah. Well, this being said, I used to eat frosting out of the tube when mom had it in the.

• 48:22Travis Kelce?

So. I digress. Shout out to Bakes Cakes over there in Kansas.

• 48:27Speaker 00

  Yeah.

• 48:27Travis Kelce?

Shout out to Accelerator. God, I could use one right now. Heaven withdraws. Let's keep the thing moving to some New Heights Film Club.

• 48:35Speaker 00

  Yeah, baby.

• 48:36Travis Kelce?

That's right. For the season finale of New Heights Film Club, we watched the 1990s classic, Pretty Woman.

• 48:43Speaker 00

  Yes, sir.

• 48:44Travis Kelce?

  Oh, Julia Roberts, Richard Gere.

• 48:48Speaker 00

  Gere, not Greer.

• 48:50Travis Kelce?

The entire time, my entire life, I've been thinking it was Greer and it's not.

• 48:55Speaker 00

Yep, no, same here, same here.

• 48:56Travis Kelce?

It's Gere. And they absolutely killed it. I thought it was a fantastic movie. I enjoyed, uh, every bit of it. I, I, I'm not gonna lie, when we first started, I really didn't know that it was about her being a hooker.

• 49:10Speaker 00

Yeah, no, that was a surprise.

• 49:12Travis Kelce?

Didn't know Julia Roberts signed up for that one. But I mean, it is a very, it's a, it's a, it's a fun movie to follow along with.

• 49:18Speaker 00

It's the world's oldest profession, Travis. It's a tale as old as time. I thought this movie was fantastic. I really did. I loved it. It's got all the themes and things that I hold true and like all wrapped up into one.

• 49:33Travis Kelce?

  Ooh, like what, like what?

• 49:35Speaker 00

I really like how it shows the difference in classes and like what people.

• 49:42Travis Kelce?

  The stereotype?

• 49:43Speaker 00

Well, not even stereotypes, just like people from different worlds and what they know and understand. And why like people aren't necessarily better in low, lower class societies or upper class societies. Like right away, you get to the thing where you have this billionaire businessman who has all the power in the world. He has everything he could ever want. He's led you to believe like he's very smart to get to this position. But he can't even drive a car. He struggled to do the stick shift.

• 50:11Travis Kelce?

He has no idea where he's going.

• 50:12Speaker 00

Where he's going. He has no idea how to get to where he wants to go. He pulls over the side of the road and he doesn't even know he's talking to a hooker on Hollywood Boulevard. Like clearly there's an emphasis to show that this guy has zero street smarts whatsoever. Because he's never been on the streets, right?

• 50:29Travis Kelce?

  Yeah.

• 50:29Speaker 00

And Julia Roberts, right away throughout the film, you see her clever cunning way of talking to people unfiltered, not protective of what she is. She says that she was laughing so hard, she almost pissed herself at the opera. Like she's very unapologetically who she is. There's no barrier to try and hide that because she doesn't care what people think of her. And then at the same time, she struggles to know anything that's happening on the other side with the, uh, the cutlery and she's amazed at the hotels.

• 50:59Travis Kelce?

The hotels, yeah, the hotel rooms.

• 51:01Speaker 00

Jewelry, like she's exposed to a whole nother world. And I think throughout the movie, they do a good job of basically saying that like neither world is better than the other in a lot of ways. They just are different and people come from different ones and people are really all the same. And they're, they draw that comparison with them literally saying like, I'm not any different than you, Edward. I fuck people over for money and like yada, yada, yada, whatever that line was, right?

• 51:27Travis Kelce?

  Right.

• 51:27Speaker 00

There's also some really sneaky ways they did this too, with like, I thought a very subtle one of like showing generational divides, like. Um, when they're having dinner with the Morris, uh, dad and son, right?

• 51:43Travis Kelce?

  Mm hmm.

• 51:43Speaker 00

And she just learned what fork is what, and she finds out they're not having a salad. So she doesn't know what fork to use. The younger son, who probably is only known wealth because his father built this entire empire, is almost like laughing and surprised that she doesn't know what fork to use. But the father who built the entire empire, who probably came from nothing, admits himself that he forgets sometimes what fork to use. I think it's very true that people that grow up in their own worlds, don't have frames of reverence or know people from these other worlds. And it's easy to judge them. And I think they do a great job of showing people that have been a part of both of those worlds of like high class society and working class or low class society. They treat people differently, right?

• 52:28Speaker 00

And they treat those that are different than them. And you see it in the hotel management, right? Like my favorite character in the entire movie is Barney. He kills it, the hotel manager, right from the get go. That scene where you are, um, Mr. Edwards niece.

• 52:47Travis Kelce?

  Niece.

• 52:52Speaker 00

That is just such a fantastic scene right there. But how he treats Julia Roberts, Vivian throughout the film up until the end, really? I mean, he's the only, he's the last person to kind of tell Edward, yo, you're fucking this up, dude.

• 53:06Travis Kelce?

  Yeah.

• 53:06Speaker 00

Like it's, it's hard to let go of something so beautiful, isn't it?

• 53:09Travis Kelce?

  Yep.

• 53:10Speaker 00

  By the way.

• 53:11Travis Kelce?

By the way, he knows where she is.

• 53:13Speaker 00

Daryl sent her home yesterday, wink, wink. But yeah, I think, um, there's some iconic lines throughout the movie. But I really loved how they did that. And it's really, you know, it's very Cinderelli, Cinderella-y. You know, you have this, uh, this prostitute that, uh, is in unfortunate circumstances due to partly because of who she is and then. Also, a lot of themes of raising kids to believe they can actually achieve in the world. A lot of that came in really at the end when she starts talking about how her mother used to tell her she is drawn to bums and she's always gonna be with bums. To, all of a sudden, she's telling Kit, you know, hey, hey, we think you got a lot of

• 53:58Speaker 00

potential, kid, and don't let, don't let anyone tell you any different, right?

• 54:01Travis Kelce?

  Yeah.

• 54:02Speaker 00

And it really ends on the guy, uh, walking down the street saying, this is Hollywood, where dreams come true, baby. Don't stop dreaming, or whatever that line is. And it's such a great way to end the film and...

• 54:16Travis Kelce?

Yeah. You'd be surprised on what you'd get out of some of those walking down the street.

• 54:21Speaker 00

The line between, uh, her and Edward, rather, line there, it's earlier in the film. She says, uh, you know, people put you down enough, you start to believe it. He follows it up with a compliment, you know, reaffirming her how beautiful she is and how bright she is, and that she can do anything she wants to do. And she follows it up, well, the bad stuff is easier to believe. So it's just like, there's constantly these themes of, of high class, low class, uh, and people dreaming to achieve. And I don't know, it just, it's, it's all brought together really, really well, all through the construct of love. And I thought it was just really well done. I loved it.

• 55:00Travis Kelce?

Absolutely loved it. One of my favorite scenes was the polo scene.

• 55:03Speaker 00

  Yeah.

• 55:04Travis Kelce?

The polo scene was, was dope where the, uh, the younger Morris, uh, he catches her talking to, talking to him over on the side and he's kinda like starting to feel like, you know what I mean? Like, that's my lady.

• 55:14Speaker 00

  Yeah.

• 55:15Travis Kelce?

That's my woman. Why is she, why is she over there having seemingly to have a, like, she's having a good time talking to this young handsome guy?

• 55:24Speaker 00

  Jealousy.

• 55:25Travis Kelce?

What is that all about? Yeah. What is this? And then, uh, and then he, he let George Costanza fucking get the better of him.

• 55:30Speaker 00

Dude, George Costanza, what a piece of shit.

• 55:33Travis Kelce?

I, you can't be that fun to watch in Seinfeld, be that shitty of a character in another movie. Like, that was, I didn't see that one coming. I thought...

• 55:42Speaker 00

He did a great job. He nailed the role.

• 55:44Travis Kelce?

  Absolutely nailed it, yeah.

• 55:46Speaker 00

Jason Alexander killed that role, but...

• 55:48Travis Kelce?

Sorry, Jason. I didn't know your actual name.

• 55:50Speaker 00

I call him George, too. I mean, it's, it's hard not to. Yeah. He was a grade A piece of shit. In the best way possible. Yeah, I agree. That was a really fun. And then they come back and they have the argument and then he tells her why he's upset with her is because I saw you talking to this other guy. It's like, well, I mean, that's childish and jealousy, but that also is letting her know that's like, oh, he, he wants me. You know what I mean? Like, he wants to be with me. So, little bit of jealousy. Good thing. I mean, you start being a little bit too jealous, then we got some issues, but you gotta have some faith in your partner.

• 56:21Travis Kelce?

Getting jealous and getting upset and being mad and telling your best friend that you're a hooker. Like, that's not, that's not how far you want to take it.

• 56:31Travis Kelce?

We have to control these emotions, Mr. Greer. Gear, Mr. Gear.

• 56:35Speaker 00

Mr. Gear. I love the ending of it. You know, she, she lays out like she's always had the dream of the knight in shining armor, climbing the tower.

• 56:44Travis Kelce?

  Old San Francisco.

• 56:46Speaker 00

Not being put up in a condo and then all of a sudden at the end of it, he's climbing the stairs of the section eight housing to save her from the circumstances that she's been dealt. Because he loves her.

• 56:57Travis Kelce?

Yeah, he's afraid of heights. Yeah.

• 56:58Speaker 00

He, he braves up. Dude, I left Kylie in the ocean because of the sharks. I, I don't know if I'm as good as Edward is, apparently. I gotta fuck him. I'll tell you what, though. If I actually thought she was in danger, I wouldn't have. I promise.

• 57:10Travis Kelce?

If I actually, I didn't think she was in danger. I thought I was in danger.

• 57:14Speaker 00

No, I was just terrified. I didn't think I was in danger. That's the difference.

• 57:17Travis Kelce?

  Well, what's?

• 57:18Speaker 00

It's hard to explain. There is a difference. I didn't think I was in danger. I just started getting worried about the sharks. I didn't think she was actually in danger. Otherwise, I would have said, if Kylie fell into shark infested water, I would jump in. I fucking guarantee.

• 57:32Travis Kelce?

She was 1,000% in shark infested water.

• 57:35Speaker 00

She was away from the shark. Shark was all the way over here and it wasn't like, it wasn't.

• 57:40Travis Kelce?

  All the way?

• 57:41Speaker 00

Yeah, it wasn't even being a thing.

• 57:43Travis Kelce?

If you could see a shark and you could see Kylie.

• 57:46Speaker 00

No. If I saw the fin by Kai, if I would have saw the shark fin next to Kai, I would have went towards.

• 57:51Travis Kelce?

What do you mean? But there was, it has to be right around her?

• 57:55Speaker 00

It was in a completely different vicinity of this water. I'm just letting you know.

• 57:58Travis Kelce?

The shark was already close enough to you to where you got out of it. If it got any closer to you.

• 58:03Speaker 00

She was way behind me. I promise you.

• 58:06Travis Kelce?

Only Kylie has to believe you. Just remember, only she has to believe you.

• 58:12Speaker 00

A quarter million dollar necklace like what the fuck where does you even get have you ever seen something like that?

• 58:17Travis Kelce?

  Never.

• 58:17Speaker 00

How like what kind of how many stones you got to pile on top of something that'd be.

• 58:21Travis Kelce?

  Especially back then.

• 58:22Speaker 00

  Yeah.

• 58:22Travis Kelce?

Inflation that's like a fucking million dollar necklace nowadays.

• 58:25Speaker 00

Jesus Christ. Um, yeah, a lot of great, uh, side care, the all these supporting actors. Uh, and actresses did a great job. Kit was a.

• 58:35Travis Kelce?

  Kit was fun.

• 58:36Speaker 00

A great, uh, uh, role in what she was. And even though she was holding Julia Roberts back, a terrible friend. Really just in some ways you loved her and appreciated who she was. Jason Alexander, we already talked about him being a piece of shit.

• 58:50Travis Kelce?

  Great actor, piece of shit.

• 58:51Speaker 00

Barney, sorry Barney, don't know your actual name. I mean, he's.

• 58:55Travis Kelce?

  Great actor.

• 58:56Speaker 00

He's been in a lot of those like rom coms and 90s like this role, he really freaking just nails.

• 59:02Travis Kelce?

  Fucking crushes it.

• 59:03Speaker 00

The shopkeeper, the guy that they go do to treat yourself, uh, during right before the pretty woman montage.

• 59:10Travis Kelce?

  Yeah.

• 59:11Speaker 00

He's in a lot of those movies too. He does a great job. Uh, the bellhop operating the, uh, elevator. Uh, kind of just, you know, all like, I don't know that he has any spoken lines. A lot of it is just non-verbal with eyes and stuff. Does a great job, I think.

• 59:27Travis Kelce?

Out of, uh, the other movies that we've, uh, we've watched, uh, Julia Roberts actually earned a Golden Globe Award for Best Actress. In this movie, in addition to her first nominations for the cabinet award for best actress, uh, and BAFTA Award for Best Actress in a leading role. So she, I mean, obviously she killed it, but this was like one of her like first like.

• 59:52Speaker 00

  Come out roles.

• 59:53Travis Kelce?

  Yeah.

• 59:54Speaker 00

  And I don't know.

• 59:54Travis Kelce?

  She fucking crushed it.

• 59:55Speaker 00

What she did before this, but I say this being a very happily married man, that is, she is a pretty woman in this movie. I mean.

• 1:00:03Speaker 00

And she kills it. She, the acting is great. Uh, she has like the accent. She, she does a great job during multiple. Uh, of the scenes, delivering the lines and I don't know. I just really enjoyed it. It's right up there with. Probably my favorite romance movie I've probably ever seen, which is a low, is a short list.

• 1:00:21Travis Kelce?

  Yeah.

• 1:00:22Speaker 00

Like this isn't even a rom com. This is just straight romance from start to finish.

• 1:00:27Travis Kelce?

Really? You didn't think it was that fun? I think there were funny parts of it.

• 1:00:30Speaker 00

Yeah, but I wouldn't say it's like a rom. I don't know. It doesn't. It wasn't like supposed to be funny to the extent that I would call this a rom com. This is just pretty much a romance film to me.

• 1:00:40Travis Kelce?

  I think it's. I think it's a rom com, but I also don't think it's a rated R movie.

• 1:00:45Speaker 00

Dude, there's some scenes with, uh, where he's like Roman going down the chest on the piano.

• 1:00:51Travis Kelce?

  Oh, yeah.

• 1:00:52Speaker 00

There's some. There's some lingerie scenes that are a little aggressive for the PG 13. He also, I think he swears in the movie. Maybe it would be PG 13 if it was done today.

• 1:01:02Travis Kelce?

Yeah, I guess you're right. I forgot some of those scenes in the room.

• 1:01:05Speaker 00

The tie scene when he's been

• 1:01:07Travis Kelce?

  Oh, yeah.

• 1:01:08Speaker 00

Off of work, comes back, just has the tie on. Listen, that's a hell of a welcome home.

• 1:01:14Speaker 00

Pretty Woman fan mentioned, whenever they review Pretty Woman, be sure to mention, get their reaction to the fact that when Julie signed on for the role, the movie was originally a depressing drama where her character was a drug addict and gets left on the street. So it wasn't a romance movie at all. I want to know what the original script was.

• 1:01:37Travis Kelce?

I don't. I don't want to know. I liked it just the way it was.

• 1:01:41Speaker 00

I like this where there's the happy ending because it all makes sense and is fits my themes of the way I like hope and positivity to be the running theme of what people should aspire for and keep thinking. I'm, I'm an app. I'm a, I'm a glass half full guy. I'm a glass half full guy. That might be a little bit more realistic of an ending, to be honest with you, but I don't know.

• 1:02:05Travis Kelce?

You're a curious guy. You want to see, you want to see what it was before. And Brandon has it right here for you. The original screenplay was titled 3000 and it was written by the then struggling screenwriter, uh, J F Lawton, originally intended to be a dark cautionary tale about class and prostitution in Los Angeles. Hmm. Sounds terrible.

• 1:02:27Speaker 00

Wow. They turned a complete 180 on that one.

• 1:02:33Travis Kelce?

I mean, who knows if it would have been good, but it wasn't going to be this.

• 1:02:36Speaker 00

So basically, everything, everything I like about the movie was the exact opposite.

• 1:02:42Travis Kelce?

  Somebody put that in. Yeah.

• 1:02:44Speaker 00

You have no hope. You can't move up in class.

• 1:02:48Speaker 00

You're not as good as the other ones. You're gonna end up like shit if you end up doing the prostitution.

• 1:02:52Travis Kelce?

This is reality. This isn't a fairy tale, Jason.

• 1:02:56Speaker 00

All right. Well, I'm glad they didn't do that one because I like, I'm a sucker for good endings. Film Club PFF grades. All right. Plot.

• 1:03:05Travis Kelce?

  Let's get into it.

• 1:03:06Speaker 00

Plot, very unrealistic. I'll be honest. Very unrealistic.

• 1:03:10Travis Kelce?

Especially in today's age, for sure.

• 1:03:13Speaker 00

Billionaire CEO falls for the prostitute. I mean, I mean, I think it's unrealistic. It's probably happened.

• 1:03:18Travis Kelce?

  Who knows?

• 1:03:19Speaker 00

  It's probably happened.

• 1:03:20Travis Kelce?

  Who knows?

• 1:03:21Speaker 00

Might it just happen with the former executive director of the NFLPA? Who knows?

• 1:03:25Travis Kelce?

  Might it just happen?

• 1:03:33Travis Kelce?

The CEO, man, the CEO would coldplay, you know, who knows?

• 1:03:37Speaker 00

Well, that was, that was the HR. That was a prostitute. That was, that was, that was, that was his work wife, which unfortunately wasn't good.

• 1:03:46Travis Kelce?

All right. They didn't shit on people.

• 1:03:49Speaker 00

Yeah. Well, I mean, it's kind of deserve it, right?

• 1:03:52Travis Kelce?

  Yeah.

• 1:03:52Speaker 00

Yeah. Plot, I will say unrealistic plot, but I loved guiltily all the themes and everything had touched on it. I think they did a fantastic job. A lot of the lines delivered really hit me with like optimistic and hopeful values and fighting off people that tell you you're not good enough, almost like this Rocky Balboa type like mindset.

• 1:04:15Travis Kelce?

  Vivian Balboa. Yeah.

• 1:04:16Speaker 00

  Vivian Balboa. I'll, listen.

• 1:04:21Speaker 00

That pretty woman montage might be the only thing better than a Balboa montage. All right. PFF grade plot. I'm gonna go, it's a starting plot. It's a starting caliber plot. It's not an all pro plot. I'm gonna go eighty five. I'm gonna go eighty five.

• 1:04:36Travis Kelce?

Eighty five. I'm right there with you. Eighty five. Acting, I thought it was through the roof. I didn't see one bad. I didn't see one bad scene.

• 1:04:43Speaker 00

  No.

• 1:04:44Travis Kelce?

I thought at first it was like, but.

• 1:04:47Speaker 00

A little corny, like a little bit like too polished. Yeah, yeah.

• 1:04:51Travis Kelce?

I don't know. To be honest, I think I just enjoyed the, the following along the movie.

• 1:04:56Speaker 00

I think for what it is, it's really good. There's a lot of emotional scenes that the actors all nail. It's not the most realistic, so it's hard to view acting as premier when the, it's a little kind of like Hollywood-y. Right? Like the movie's very Hollywood-y in nature. I think Julia killed it.

• 1:05:15Travis Kelce?

  Yeah, she crushed it.

• 1:05:16Speaker 00

Killed it. All the supporting actors killed it. I don't think you could go with anything less than like a ninety, ninety-five. Like I'm in that range for this thing. I don't think.

• 1:05:26Travis Kelce?

  I'll go ninety-five. I'll go ninety-five.

• 1:05:28Speaker 00

  Ninety-five.

• 1:05:29Travis Kelce?

  Yeah.

• 1:05:29Speaker 00

On-screen chemistry, this is a new category that I have not seen.

• 1:05:36Travis Kelce?

I thought they were great together.

• 1:05:37Speaker 00

  It was good.

• 1:05:39Travis Kelce?

I thought everybody, everybody had good chemistry on there. I thought they.

• 1:05:42Speaker 00

Gear did a good job of playing kind of like the heartless businessman that comes around and he was like the Grinch throughout the whole film. He finally grew a heart and he makes the business feel right.

• 1:05:53Travis Kelce?

And for, he was soulless for a lot of this fucking thing.

• 1:05:56Speaker 00

Sometimes it takes a good woman to bring that soul into you.

• 1:05:59Travis Kelce?

  There you go.

• 1:06:00Speaker 00

So I'll go, I'll go ninety.

• 1:06:01Travis Kelce?

Soul woman is what it should have been called. All right.

• 1:06:03Speaker 00

  Soul woman.

• 1:06:08Travis Kelce?

Nineties fashion. I'm, I'm not gonna lie. Seeing the, the montage and seeing her put on all those like fun nineties outfits. They were really like eighties, like nineties outfits.

• 1:06:21Speaker 00

That's what I was about to say. That was my, that's exactly what I was gonna say. This movie took place in nineteen ninety, which I really liked because there's actually themes from the eighties and nineties. Like there's a lot of attire that was really wasn't nineties, it was more eighties. There's a lot of attire that was like forefront of where the nineties was going. It was a cool like in-between of what the stereotypes for both of those genres ended up being. I do think it skews more nineties in aesthetic. A little more eighties or what I think of eighties when it comes to the music.

• 1:06:54Travis Kelce?

  Yeah. Oh, nice music.

• 1:06:56Speaker 00

Yeah, it had some like more like eighties ballady vibes as opposed to like the nineties stuff.

• 1:07:03Travis Kelce?

  Nice.

• 1:07:04Speaker 00

  So nineties fashion.

• 1:07:05Travis Kelce?

If we want to just do fashion.

• 1:07:07Speaker 00

Yeah, we're just doing fashion. I'll say I thought the street clothes were more eighties, like the the the lower tier stuff was more eighties skewing to me. And the upscale stuff, everything that took place kind of at the hotel, that all felt more ninetiesy to me. So I'll go, I'll go nineties fashion, uh, seventy five.

• 1:07:27Travis Kelce?

Nice feminism. I was, what, what, what, what score do you think it gets on the feminism chart?

• 1:07:35Speaker 00

This is what there. So there were a lot of people saying this movie is very misogynistic. I'll be honest, I am not good at this topic. I don't know.

• 1:07:42Travis Kelce?

I think the only way to gauge it is to flip the script. I think we need to make Pretty Man.

• 1:07:49Speaker 00

  Pretty Man.

• 1:07:50Travis Kelce?

And we need to have a CEO billionaire woman.

• 1:07:54Speaker 00

  I'm in on this.

• 1:07:56Travis Kelce?

Be so high class that she doesn't know where she's going.

• 1:08:00Speaker 00

  Travis, you're.

• 1:08:00Travis Kelce?

She doesn't know how to drive a car.

• 1:08:02Speaker 00

You're living Pretty Man right now.

• 1:08:08Speaker 00

You are Pretty Man. You're living your old Julia Roberts straight now.

• 1:08:17Travis Kelce?

I'm wearing nothing but a tie when Taylor comes home.

• 1:08:26Speaker 00

  Oh, my gosh.

• 1:08:29Speaker 00

  That's funny.

• 1:08:33Travis Kelce?

  Oh, man.

• 1:08:36Travis Kelce?

You can't beat it, man. That's why me and Julia Roberts, when I met Julia, we that's it felt like we were we're the same person. So cool. She spoke to me in this movie.

• 1:08:50Speaker 00

  Holy shit.

• 1:08:52Travis Kelce?

All right now. So I'm just an NFL stripper. That's it. Just an NFL hooker, man.

• 1:08:57Speaker 00

I mean, I'm the one who's stripping over at the Ocean Drive, I guess. Feminism. I guess there is definitely, there's definitely a healthy dose of rich, successful businessmen, uh, lifting the woman out of poverty and helping her achieve her dreams. There's, there's some really bad parts, but I feel like it comes back to the, I actually think it does a great job of correlating how similar the two people are in the movie, like in all, in actuality of how they operate, like the, the role of prostitution, the role of what he does from a business standpoint. I'm dead serious.

• 1:09:33Travis Kelce?

You gave all the grades. You gotta give a feminism grade.

• 1:09:35Speaker 00

I'm not giving a feminism grade. This is a trap for all these feminists to get all pissed off at me. I don't know.

• 1:09:41Travis Kelce?

Brandon, you're a piece of shit for that.

• 1:09:43Speaker 00

Enough. I'm not knowledgeable enough in feminism.

• 1:09:45Speaker 04

I had him. I had him. I had him.

• 1:09:47Speaker 00

Brandon, Brandon, you can give the feminism score. You can give the feminism score.

• 1:09:52Travis Kelce?

To him because we need a fifth.

• 1:09:53Speaker 04

Don't put me, nobody wants to hear my opinion.

• 1:09:55Speaker 00

Everybody wants to hear Brandon's opinion.

• 1:09:57Speaker 04

  I give it a hundred.

• 1:09:58Travis Kelce?

A hundred. All right. A hundred. A hundred on the feminism.

• 1:10:01Speaker 04

You know what I think the score is? Whatever, whatever the wonderful lady is listening to this, I think it's exactly what you're thinking.

• 1:10:07Travis Kelce?

  Ooh, nice.

• 1:10:08Speaker 04

Flip it. Flip it. All right.

• 1:10:10Speaker 00

Well, now we need to figure out the PFF grade, which we usually just add them and divide. We won't divide by five because we're not doing a feminism score. PFF grade of eighty six points. I feel like that's low. Let's take out the fashion, the fashion grade too. It can't be under a ninety. This movie's fantastic to me.

• 1:10:29Travis Kelce?

Don't do nineties fashion. Just do fashion. The fashion in this movie was fucking ninety five.

• 1:10:33Speaker 00

If we're just going fashion, don't just do strictly nineties because there's eighties elements to it too.

• 1:10:37Travis Kelce?

  Yeah.

• 1:10:38Speaker 00

I'll do ninety. I'll go a ninety score.

• 1:10:40Travis Kelce?

I'll go a ninety score. Yeah. That brings us up to about a ninety.

• 1:10:43Speaker 00

  Yeah. It's like a ninety.

• 1:10:44Travis Kelce?

  Exactly. Exactly.

• 1:10:46Speaker 00

A little bit higher. It's, it's like a ninety. Yep. It's exactly. You're right. It's exactly. That's it for New Heights Film Club. Um, I wanted to like recite lines from it. I had them written down. I just like when there's like really good lines.

• 1:11:00Travis Kelce?

I think, I think you did it. I think you got all of them. All right. Now that does it for New Heights Film Club. Thank you guys for listening to another year of New Heights Film Club. Can't wait for next year.

• 1:11:10Speaker 00

  Heyo.

• 1:11:11Travis Kelce?

Before we get to Baker, let's hit this Heights hotline though. The Heights hotline is brought to you by Audible. Let's go ahead. Jason, I picked the last one. You pick, you can pick one.

• 1:11:20Speaker 00

Can girls propose, dating apps, first date idea? Let's put some feminists off. Can girls propose?

• 1:11:30Travis Kelce?

Let's hear it. We're on a roll today.

• 1:11:34Speaker 00

  Yeah.

• 1:11:35Speaker 08

Hi guys. So my boyfriend and I of three years just decided to get married and we're planning it right now. But neither of us proposed to each other. So I was wondering if I were to propose to him, just like as a funny bit, how should I do it? And if guys like be proposed to? All right.

• 1:11:57Speaker 00

Can you, can you go back to the start of that today? She say they're already planning the wedding? Is that what she started with?

• 1:12:03Travis Kelce?

  The thing is.

• 1:12:04Speaker 08

Well, my boyfriend and I of three years just decided to get married and we're planning it right now. But neither of us proposed to each other. So I was wondering.

• 1:12:14Travis Kelce?

I don't know how this happened. They just decided to.

• 1:12:17Speaker 00

  Yeah.

• 1:12:17Speaker 08

Just like as a fun bit.

• 1:12:19Travis Kelce?

Sounds like a one-off situation. So you, your rules are different than everyone else's. So, yeah.

• 1:12:27Speaker 00

  I don't think it's uncommon.

• 1:12:28Travis Kelce?

  Yeah, go ahead.

• 1:12:29Speaker 00

I don't think it's uncommon for like a couple to talk about like, hey, if we ever got married, like, would you want to do this or this? Like, I think that's normal, but it sounds like they're full on already agreeing to be married and planning, which does seem a little bit out of order to what the typical structure is.

• 1:12:47Travis Kelce?

Yeah, the traditional, the traditional is the man proposes and then you start to make those kind of decisions. I think, uh, I think you're too far past this, the proposal step at this point. You just gotta, you just gotta leave it there.

• 1:13:01Speaker 00

Yeah, there's, I'll, I'll start with this. Can a woman propose? I think a woman can do whatever she wants. I'm not in here to say like, you know, it has to be a certain way. There's all sorts of different relationship things that work for everybody. I, I do think though that

• 1:13:15Travis Kelce?

All four of your girls are gonna be going up to random guys just.

• 1:13:19Speaker 00

Well, I do, I do think that there are some, I do think by and large, there are some things that are very traditional and they're traditional for reasons and like it happens in a certain way, uh, because of like commitments and I, I think that some of those roles have been in place for such a long time.

• 1:13:36Travis Kelce?

And they changed a lot and they changed over time for sure.

• 1:13:38Speaker 00

Well, there's nothing wrong with, a lot of them have changed, but I don't think there's anything wrong with the man proposing and that being the standard of two people agreeing to spend the rest of your life together. And I also don't think it's wrong to ask the parents' hand. I know that that's out of like, what's considered the norm now maybe. And it used to be just ask the father. I do, I mean, just ask both parents, but I think there's nothing wrong with that. If that's what you want to do. It sounds like to me though, this guy might think that they've kind of already done that maybe like, you know what I mean?

• 1:14:11Travis Kelce?

I think she's asking because she knows he's not going to.

• 1:14:15Speaker 00

I think she's asking, she's like, I think he forgot to do this one step. Like maybe he thinks he kinda did it, but he didn't. I would just drop hints like, oh man, it's like, yeah, like, it'll be really interesting to see how you're gonna propose whenever that like, just do something like that and kinda see what happens.

• 1:14:33Travis Kelce?

  Yeah, start a fight.

• 1:14:34Speaker 00

  Response is.

• 1:14:37Travis Kelce?

  Instigate it.

• 1:14:37Speaker 00

It sounds like she feels like she should be proposed to.

• 1:14:41Travis Kelce?

If this sounds like your wife.

• 1:14:44Speaker 00

  Go and propose to her.

• 1:14:48Travis Kelce?

  I think that does it.

• 1:14:49Speaker 00

Yeah, we would love to know how this resolves itself. So please call or please call us back when you get a final update on said proposal, whether you do it, whether he does it.

• 1:14:59Travis Kelce?

  Yeah.

• 1:15:00Speaker 00

Sorry, we couldn't offer more help.

• 1:15:01Travis Kelce?

Yeah, we got it. We got it. We might have helped. This might get the train rolling.

• 1:15:06Speaker 00

There's certain things I think are just like so traditional and done a certain way that like if they don't happen that way, a lot of the times I feel like it's a little cause for like concern in my end, but I realize everybody's different. Everybody has their own things.

• 1:15:20Travis Kelce?

  Teach his own.

• 1:15:20Speaker 00

I got a sweaty ass right armpit. Everybody's kind of got their own stuff that they're dealing with, so.

• 1:15:25Travis Kelce?

Yeah, and that's it for New Heights Hotline brought to you by Audible. Now let's get to our convo with the amazing, the hilarious, one of the best personalities in the National Football League, Baker Mayfield.

• 1:17:32Speaker 00

  I'm coming for him.

• 1:17:33Travis Kelce?

Oh, yeah. Bakes, thanks for fucking joining us, dude, taking some time off in the off season, brother.

• 1:17:37Speaker 11

  Absolutely.

• 1:17:38Speaker 00

Let's talk a little 2025 Bucks. They're already probably in training camp. Um, you know, what are you looking forward to this year with Tampa Bay?

• 1:17:44Speaker 11

You know, uh, I mean, we have all of our starters back on offense and we added some depth and a lot of the guys, just because of last year, had a lot of injuries on offense. Mike and Chris both went down. So just all the guys that had to play, um, stepping up for us, there's a, we have a lot of depth. So we have everybody back that started and then we have everybody back that was playing a lot for us. So I'm excited about that. And then just the, the new guys we added, um, we, we needed some help on defense, some new faces, some young guys. So there's, there's a lot of new energy, guys talking shit at practice, which is fun.

• 1:18:16Travis Kelce?

  Oh, yeah.

• 1:18:17Speaker 00

  Always good.

• 1:18:18Speaker 11

And Emeka Abuka is an absolute stud.

• 1:18:20Travis Kelce?

  Ooh.

• 1:18:21Speaker 00

  Okay.

• 1:18:22Speaker 11

  He's the real deal.

• 1:18:23Speaker 00

Yeah. What do you, what makes you say that?

• 1:18:25Speaker 11

Okay, you know how you just can't teach guys leaving the ground to catch the ball? It's always grounded when he catches it, keeps moving, there's Yak potential out the wazoo there, but he's just so damn smart. And he's willing to block, willing to do everything we ask him to do, but then, I mean, we can plug and play him at any, any of the three receiver spots right now. It's, it's pretty exciting for me.

• 1:18:45Speaker 00

I mean, if he can go up and get a ball and he's smart, that, I don't know what else you want in a receiver. I mean, goddamn, that's the two good traits right there.

• 1:18:51Speaker 11

  Exactly.

• 1:18:52Travis Kelce?

That was one of Coach Reid's biggest things, uh, as I, as I've been like through, throughout my career, as we were like acquiring like skill position guys or just like number one, number two, number three options. He was like, you get that three, three headed monster, three guys you can go to in man to man specifically, like be able to kind of pick and choose whichever matchup you like the most. That's where the offense really takes off and it's just, it puts the defense in such a bind and then you add the two fucking running backs you guys got.

• 1:19:21Speaker 11

  Yeah.

• 1:19:22Travis Kelce?

Oh, yeah. Go get Aden in there, you kidding me?

• 1:19:24Speaker 11

Come on, no gloves, baby. Slackless wonder.

• 1:19:29Speaker 00

  Swag is wonder.

• 1:19:31Travis Kelce?

Dude, but I but seriously, though, that's that's one of the biggest things is keeping everybody healthy, obviously, but you get three three headed monster like that. You guys are going to put up some fucking big numbers.

• 1:19:41Speaker 11

Yeah. And by the way, it helps when you get your all five of your starting linemen back, too. My goodness.

• 1:19:46Speaker 00

I wanted to talk about this a little bit. You guys last year, I think if Chris Godwin doesn't get hurt, and if Mike doesn't deal with the injuries he had, you guys were so well positioned. Like, you were peeking at the right moment. I think early on, you guys were one of the best teams, but you just had the injuries. Like, what is?

• 1:20:01Speaker 11

  Yeah.

• 1:20:01Speaker 00

What did you feel about you guys last year? Do you feel the same way? Are you guys almost hungry to finish unfinished business? Does that make sense?

• 1:20:12Speaker 11

Absolutely. Yeah. I mean, obviously, you mentioned it. The injuries definitely didn't help us, but I feel like we're we're built and we knew we were when we're healthy. We're built to compete against the Eagles, the Lions, what we thought were the top contenders of the NFC. And then obviously, Washington kind of came out of nowhere. But we felt really, really good about our matchups. And so, yeah, when you when you bring all those pieces back, you bring the vets in the locker room, Vita, Antoine, Levante, some of these guys we have on defense that have been staple points for these guys for the last however many years. Like, it's exciting. So, yeah, there's there's unfinished business. And then you add in Hassan Reddick, and he showed up. Everybody made a big deal, but he showed up.

• 1:20:48Speaker 00

  He showed up?

• 1:20:50Speaker 11

  He's a great guy, too.

• 1:20:51Speaker 00

Did he have the simmer? I love. Dude, Haas was a

• 1:20:53Speaker 11

  I love him.

• 1:20:54Speaker 00

I was a big fan of him in Philly. I know it kind of ended sour. And the last year is what it is. But he's a great personality. He's good to have in the room. And I know freaking Bowles is going to be figuring out different ways to utilize a guy with that kind of skill set. So the offensive line was great last year. The running game was great. I loved what you guys were doing offensively. And even just in the Eagles game, watching the different motions, how you guys attacked the flat, how you flooded different zones. I thought what you guys did offensively, what Cohen was doing, was some of the most exciting things in the NFL last year. How are you going to take this now with him leaving? You know, you got new OC Josh, what is it? Grizzard?

• 1:21:35Speaker 11

  Grizzard, yeah.

• 1:21:36Speaker 00

Grizzard in. How are you going to take this next year? Like, what's going to change?

• 1:21:40Speaker 11

Yeah, I mean, there's there's been very minor changes in terminology, mostly just formation stuff. But I mean, he was in he was in Miami for Seven years, I think. And so his whole background is motioning to get Tyreek and some of these other guys open. How to beat cover two, how to get Mike open, really. It's like his, it translates to that. Then you add in some of the gap schemes that we've been really good at and what they do did in Miami. And we kept our offensive line coaches. So they're doing the run game stuff as well. So it's, I mean, it's, it's still the motion base. Like make the defense communicate. Really see if we can make them one dimensional. If we get a beat on that, can we keep doing it over and over until it fixes it?

• 1:22:20Speaker 00

Yeah, man. It was, it was fun to watch. It really was all year long. Except for when you were playing the Eagles, that was not fun to watch. That was a frustrating game offensively for us to watch. But what has it been about you and Tampa? I mean, you've, you've played well at times everywhere you've been. But in Tampa, it's really gone to that next level. What do you think has led to that?

• 1:22:37Speaker 11

You know, this isn't to shit on the other teams and franchises.

• 1:22:45Speaker 11

But like, when you step in and your GM and your head coach say, hey, just be you.

• 1:22:50Speaker 00

  Yeah.

• 1:22:50Speaker 11

After I've been told at every stop and everywhere I go, hey, you need to tone it down a little bit. You need to be a franchise quarterback. It's just not who I am. Like I wear my emotions on my sleeves. We've hung out. You guys know me. I'm gonna talk shit. I'm gonna do whatever. But when it's time to turn the lights on and go do something, I'm gonna do it. So when I stepped into the building, they all told me to just be myself. And so it's been, not to say like comfortable, but it's felt like home since the beginning. And as a quarterback that's been through a little bit of a journey, you can't ask for anything else.

• 1:23:18Speaker 00

  Hell, yeah.

• 1:23:18Travis Kelce?

Hell, yeah, dude. Well, talk about a guy that's being himself, man. Liam Cohen. He took a little bit of heat over there at the

• 1:23:29Speaker 00

  Took a chance.

• 1:23:30Travis Kelce?

A lot of guys. Heard through a lot of guys. He's a great dude, man. What did, what was he for your career last year in Tampa?

• 1:23:38Speaker 11

Unbelievable. And yeah, I love the end of death. I still talk to him probably once every week. We stay in touch. He's just, he was so instrumental. I mean, when I got to LA, really the next level for me, learning the game of football, whether it was him, McVay and Zach Robinson, all in that room together. And then obviously getting to spend more time with Liam last year. Just the expectations of what the quarterback position demands of you and making sure we're all on the same page and doing all that. So he was unbelievable for me and, you know, the trajectory of my career. But yeah, I just. Keep losing these offensive coordinators. They keep taking these fucking head coaching jobs.

• 1:24:15Speaker 00

Hey, that's what happens when you're a really good quarterback that keeps stealing those. They think they're the reason. We all know.

• 1:24:23Speaker 11

Dice in it up out there. I'm the problem. They might be the reason. I don't know.

• 1:24:27Speaker 00

You've been through a lot of different coaches, a lot of different OCs. What in your opinion is the most important thing when you have a new OC coming in to establish the offense?

• 1:24:37Speaker 11

You know, the, obviously you guys been in this for a while. The egos, putting your ego to the side. How do I, how do I drop that? What does he really want to get done? And what do I feel comfortable with? You know, schematically wise, what do, what do I know I want to have in there? But then also can I learn and get really good at what he wants to do? And so there's, there's always a meeting in the middle and it's, you know, there's, there's old school coaching and then there's, there's new guys that might be pushovers. There's somewhere in the middle there that, uh, you know, transition for me, the last couple of years has been great. Whether it was Dave Canales, Liam, and now Grizz. So it's, there's somewhere in the middle where they, they get to know me. They understand that at a certain point, I'm not going to be like, I need this play,

• 1:25:18Speaker 11

but I'm going to, I'm going to try and find a way to make it work. And so, yeah, it's, it's meeting in the middle, dropping the ego.

• 1:25:25Speaker 00

Yeah. It feels like there's always that in between. It feels like with the play caller trying to do what he thinks is open or what he likes. And then at the same time of like, at the end of the day, the players have to execute it and they're the ones that have to feel comfortable. And, um, that's definitely a, a two-way street to navigate. And the best ones figure it out. They know how to get the best out of the quarterback and how to get and attack the areas that they see for sure.

• 1:25:49Speaker 11

And I think just having, having answers at the line of scrimmage. And I think that's something, you know, Tom Moore, bless his soul. He's, he's still coaching with us. I mean, he's going on year 47, I think, 46 or 47 coaching in the NFL. Um, he tells stories about Peyton Manning always being like, okay, well, what if they do this? And he would always quiz him about having answers. And so that's, I think that's another thing. The coordinator trusting the quarterback enough to give them answers and allow them at the line of scrimmage to make adjustments. And that, that's a big deal. But then talking through it with the rest of the group. So they're not completely caught off guard. Like, hey, guys, if we get this, I'm going to check to this.

• 1:26:21Speaker 00

Yeah. I had an offensive coordinator once describe play calling should be like if then statements. Where it's like, if the defense does this, then we do this. And when you have a quarter, the trick is having a quarterback that can read and identify and know what they want to get into that are familiar, especially in the run game, like those decisions that have to be made. Not all the time the quarterbacks are in tune with that. How much freedom do you get in Tampa? Like, what is, are you changing route concepts, protections, run play? Are you doing all of it? Or is there like, kind of like a, a system within you and, what is it, Barton, the center? Or the other coaches on game day? How does that work?

• 1:27:01Speaker 11

Yeah. So, I mean, the, the system we're in normally always comes in with the two calls. And so, obviously, taking, taking the best look, best advantage, whether it's run to run, run to pass, pass to run. So whatever it is, making sure we have that. But then Grizz will give me command to be able to check to a screen.

• 1:27:19Speaker 00

  Yeah.

• 1:27:19Speaker 11

Or just get out of it. We always have cover zero answers, all that stuff built into the plan. But a big part of that, when you ask about Graham Barton and I just watching film, all the blitz pickup meetings that QBs and centers, the O-line has to do throughout the week, but just making sure that we're on the same page. And that's, like you said, it's, the players have to make it work. And so, if he sees something before me, he'll turn around and say, hey, do you want to get to this? And then if not, then I'll be able to, to move it around. But yeah, it's, it's making sure we're all on the same page.

• 1:27:45Speaker 00

  Love it.

• 1:27:46Travis Kelce?

Oh, yeah. Going up against a guy like Todd Bowles and Levante David, man, the guy just understands offensive schemes. They're always well planned. Well, they always have like that extra, you know, tick of like, what we're trying to do. How crazy is it going up against those two and, and like a practice or a training camp? The competition has to be through the roof. Are you and Levante, are you guys talking shit to each other the whole time or what?

• 1:28:11Speaker 11

I mean, Tay doesn't say anything, so I would love to, but, but it's, when we practice against our defense, I'm like, this is absolute bullshit. They're showing a single high look with the safety in between the hashes. They're bringing double cat and rolling that safety three yards into the hash. I'm like, you guys will never do that in a game. What are you doing?

• 1:28:28Speaker 00

No, they will. Oh, they will. I can tell you, they do do it. They do do it.

• 1:28:31Speaker 11

I must be MFing my, my iPad or Surface on the sideline when I, when they're doing it.

• 1:28:37Speaker 00

We played an entire playoff game, maybe two of them, where it was like, it felt like goal line defense, just the entire stat. Like, how the hell are we defending the pass and the run right now, Todd? I don't know what you're doing to get both of these accomplished.

• 1:28:50Speaker 11

He's a genius man. Vita in the middle, too.

• 1:28:52Speaker 00

No, Vita's easy. You know, he's just what, 400 pounds and moves like a fucking linebacker? No, it's great. But how much more comfortable on you on, on game day, having seen all that? Like, and I feel the same way with Vic to a certain extent in Philly. Like, when you play a team that you never see the, like a six man front on first down on, and it messes with so many of your concepts. Like, you guys get to see it every day. You're gonna see the, the dimod mugs. You're gonna see the five man fronts, the six man fronts. You're gonna see nickel with like five big guys. You're gonna see all of it. So on game day, how does that feel knowing you've already had reps against all of it?

• 1:29:29Speaker 11

Yeah. It's good when, when it comes to preparation, seeing like, okay, I've seen this look before, this front where everybody's lined up. But what I have to revert back to is like, okay, in practice, they'll completely show it one way and then roll the safety down, Troy Polamalu style, roll them back to the middle of the field. So sometimes on game day, I have to dumb it down a little bit. What I see is what I get. I'm not trying to play the chess game. I'm just, okay, I see this. All right, let's make this move.

• 1:29:54Speaker 00

I used to do the same. So Jim Schwartz used to do this all the time in training camp. I don't even know if he ever did it in the game. There'd be like six guys into the boundary. That would tell you like it has to be four to a side. And then he blitzed the nickel, like nobody capping him. So like, it took me like two training camps to figure out that every time they did this, it was a nickel blitz. So then I started picking it up. And Jim's like, there's no way you see that in the game. Like, there's no way you're calling that in the game. Like, what are you talking about?

• 1:30:18Travis Kelce?

Leave the slot wide ass open.

• 1:30:20Speaker 00

  What are we talking about?

• 1:30:20Travis Kelce?

Man, we're taking chances. We're taking chances, you know?

• 1:30:23Speaker 00

It's the same thing. You get into a game, it's like, oh wait, no, now that it's actually is coming from the boundary. It's Jim Schwartz.

• 1:30:29Travis Kelce?

But you already know, Spags is another one where he'll throw something wild at you and he'll disguise it really well. And what it really trains is those instinctual, the, the quick wit and instinctual decisions to not fucking panic. Not be like, oh shit, that's not it. What is it? And like now you're like two steps behind in terms of your rhythm and, and the concept of the play, but it trains those like those instincts to be able to just always have that plan in place. And man, it's a, it's a fucking luxury going up against a good DCs and, and camps.

• 1:30:59Speaker 11

Spags does, his timing is unreal.

• 1:31:02Speaker 00

  It is.

• 1:31:02Speaker 11

When he brings the pressure, that's the difference. He knows exactly when to bring it.

• 1:31:06Travis Kelce?

He keeps that Joker in the back pocket.

• 1:31:08Speaker 11

Sets it up, sets it up. He keeps one in the holster. Damn it, Spags.

• 1:31:12Travis Kelce?

  I fucking love that guy.

• 1:31:14Speaker 00

So tush push is still in effect. Have you guys been working on quarterback sneaks and tush pushes this season more?

• 1:31:21Travis Kelce?

  Yeah. Tell us your playbook.

• 1:31:23Speaker 11

Uh, no, we haven't been practicing the tush push, but daddy can squat the fucking house.

• 1:31:31Speaker 00

He said he doesn't need the push. Doesn't need the push.

• 1:31:35Travis Kelce?

Let's go. You guys are pretty good. Just handing that thing off. All right, Matt, there you go.

• 1:31:40Speaker 11

Just, yeah, go ahead, Buck. You Rashad, just go get one.

• 1:31:43Travis Kelce?

Dude, the, the season that guy had, did you see it coming? You know, there's certain guys in camp and certain guys in the off season where you're just like, we need to start dialing some shit up for that guy right there.

• 1:31:53Speaker 00

  Yeah.

• 1:31:53Travis Kelce?

Was he one of them or did it kind of like grow as he got comfortable?

• 1:31:57Speaker 11

It definitely grew. Obviously when you're not, when you're in practice, not a game, you're not getting tackled to the ground. So it was hard to see how many tackles he's going to miss or make miss. He's just so elusive. He's a, he's a phone booth guy. You can be right in front of him and he's slippery as hell. And he just keeps fighting it. Low center of gravity, good balance. Um, and so, yeah, just having him and Rashad just like, obviously I thought Rashad was looking really, really good before the season last year. And I was like, oh, Rashad's still a workhorse. Bucky's going to be great. Get him in there for some screen game and whatnot.

• 1:32:28Travis Kelce?

  Yeah.

• 1:32:29Speaker 11

Then all of a sudden, Bucky was our run guy and Rashad was great in pass pro and in the screen game too. It's just like they, they play off of each other and they're, and they're good buddies. So that works.

• 1:32:38Travis Kelce?

Hell yeah, man. There's some guys, like I remember when, uh, when Tyree Hill came in and you saw that speed. It was like the first seven on seven that we had. He caught the ball and just,

• 1:32:50Travis Kelce?

it just hit the highway. And I was like,

• 1:32:55Travis Kelce?

What the fuck was that? And, and then there's guys like, like a, like a Kareem Hunt where he, he would get the ball in like a, an off-season like run or in like the flat or something and you see him running, be like, all right, man. All right, we'll see, we'll see. And then the game happens and he is just like, no, no, keep feeding him. Keep feeding him. Keep giving that dude the fucking ball.

• 1:33:17Speaker 11

  He's a sicko.

• 1:33:18Travis Kelce?

It's so crazy how in the off-season, you just never know until that game starts or, or when you, until like you, like put those pads on. Like, is there any, is there anybody you ever played with in the off-season where you immediately were like, yep, that's the guy?

• 1:33:32Speaker 11

Yeah, I mean, there's been, there's been a few. Uh, I mean Jarvis Landry was one of them that some of the catches he would make with his Grinch hands that are out here. Some of the catches he could do. I'm like, what is that?

• 1:33:45Speaker 11

  Josh Gordon was

• 1:33:47Travis Kelce?

  Dude.

• 1:33:48Speaker 11

  An absolute monster.

• 1:33:51Speaker 00

It's such a shame that his career, career got derailed the way it did. And none of that would have happened in today's NFL, right? Like,

• 1:33:59Speaker 11

  No, no.

• 1:34:00Speaker 00

It's, I don't know, man. It sucks. He was such an electric player for Cleveland.

• 1:34:04Speaker 11

He's a pretty son of a bitch too.

• 1:34:06Travis Kelce?

Great dude. We had him in KC for a while. He's a great dude.

• 1:34:09Speaker 11

  Yeah.

• 1:34:09Speaker 00

Let me ask you this, before we get to the career rewind, how can we fix the quarterback situation in Cleveland? What is going on, Baker? There's, I mean, the jersey is now a list of 25 people. Is it a curse? What, like, why can we not get this right? Who drafts you the best quarterback in college history overall? What's going on? What's happening?

• 1:34:30Speaker 11

Listen, I plead the fifth, but I don't know. When, when I was healthy,

• 1:34:34Speaker 00

  Yeah.

• 1:34:34Speaker 11

I was starting to get pretty damn good there.

• 1:34:36Travis Kelce?

  There you go.

• 1:34:37Speaker 11

  Not my problem anymore.

• 1:34:39Travis Kelce?

All right now. All right now. Well, let's, uh, let's take a little career rewind and, uh, take it back to college, man. You, um, you walked on, uh, at Texas Tech.

• 1:34:50Travis Kelce?

And were, everybody knows this now, where you hosted Pat Mahomes on his official visit out there.

• 1:34:56Speaker 11

  He had a good time.

• 1:34:57Travis Kelce?

You had a good time out there in Lubbock, Texas. What, uh, what, what made you want to go to Texas Tech?

• 1:35:04Speaker 11

Well, I was honestly in-state tuition.

• 1:35:06Travis Kelce?

  Yeah. There you go.

• 1:35:07Speaker 11

I had a couple, I had a couple of scholarships, but I wanted to play big D1 ball. Cliff Kingsbury had recruited me when he was at Houston. Uh, and then Eric Morris, who was the offensive coordinator when I got to Tech, was with Mike Leach at Washington State and they had offered me. So there was a couple of familiar faces. The quarterback that was before me in high school was also at Tech. So I was like, okay, familiar people, system's going to be easy to pick up. I'll be all right.

• 1:35:30Travis Kelce?

  Oh, yeah.

• 1:35:30Speaker 11

So I just took a chance and I was going to go play baseball, too.

• 1:35:33Travis Kelce?

How about it, man? What can't he do?

• 1:35:36Speaker 11

I can't play basketball. Basketball is not good. Not good.

• 1:35:41Travis Kelce?

What, uh, what position were you on the diamond?

• 1:35:44Speaker 11

Uh, I played anywhere, honestly, in the infield, but I just liked to hit, swing, lefty, quick, quick first step, the first base, on base guy.

• 1:35:52Speaker 00

You, you swing at the first pitch guy or you, uh, kind of like take the first pitch, kind of wait to see what you're looking at?

• 1:35:58Speaker 11

Come on now, you don't take the first pitch.

• 1:36:01Speaker 00

  It's an old school mentality.

• 1:36:03Speaker 11

  Come out, swing it.

• 1:36:04Travis Kelce?

I'm fucking hammering the first pitch, fastball, know it's coming.

• 1:36:09Speaker 11

  I love it.

• 1:36:10Travis Kelce?

  Especially when we were younger.

• 1:36:11Speaker 00

So you walked, you walked on at Texas Tech?

• 1:36:14Speaker 11

  Yep, walked on at Tech.

• 1:36:15Speaker 00

When you said you had other offers with a division like one double A, division two, or these other, like one A.

• 1:36:20Travis Kelce?

  Washington State, Jason.

• 1:36:21Speaker 00

  Washington State?

• 1:36:22Speaker 11

Washington State. My first one was Rice to play baseball and football.

• 1:36:25Speaker 00

  Okay.

• 1:36:26Travis Kelce?

  Ooh.

• 1:36:26Speaker 11

And I think Army, New Mexico, shout out Lobos.

• 1:36:30Speaker 00

  Yeah.

• 1:36:30Travis Kelce?

  Okay.

• 1:36:30Speaker 11

Uh, Washington State and Florida Atlantic.

• 1:36:34Speaker 00

So, yeah, you were similar to me, except for all of my division offers were division two. But anyways, so you.

• 1:36:40Speaker 11

I think you're doing all right.

• 1:36:41Speaker 00

If the NIL thing would have been different when you were coming out, would you have changed anything? Would you have maybe gone with like, cause now you can transfer if you play well, like one of these lower tiered like schools that aren't in one of the bigger conferences, you can.

• 1:36:55Travis Kelce?

  Jason, he did transfer.

• 1:36:57Speaker 00

Well, yeah, but I mean, that wasn't, it was a different, it was a different.

• 1:37:01Speaker 11

  Sit out of here though.

• 1:37:01Speaker 00

  Exactly. It was different rules.

• 1:37:03Travis Kelce?

  Good point. Good point.

• 1:37:03Speaker 00

  Talking about.

• 1:37:04Speaker 11

Different rules. I don't think it would have changed my mentality. I still wanted to play big time ball and I'm pretty damn happy. I don't have the NIL thing. I might be dead if that money was coming in when I was in college.

• 1:37:13Travis Kelce?

Are you kidding me? If I would have got anywhere, some of these dudes, we're talking to some of these guys at tight end U, some of these guys are getting a hundred grand, 200 grand worth of NIL dude. If I was getting that much money.

• 1:37:24Speaker 00

Travis, that's nothing compared to what.

• 1:37:26Travis Kelce?

  Are you, I don't.

• 1:37:28Speaker 00

  What are you talking about?

• 1:37:28Travis Kelce?

That's what I'm saying. That's what I'm saying. I'm talking about in the tight end world. That alone, six figures at that age.

• 1:37:37Speaker 11

  It's wild.

• 1:37:37Speaker 00

  Yeah.

• 1:37:38Travis Kelce?

  Oh my fucking God.

• 1:37:40Speaker 00

What do you think a young Baker Mayfield would have got at Oklahoma?

• 1:37:44Travis Kelce?

  Oh yeah.

• 1:37:45Speaker 00

Not money wise. Like what would your be, what would you have bought? What would you have done with that money?

• 1:37:49Speaker 11

I would have gotten a nice football house for the fellows.

• 1:37:51Travis Kelce?

  Oh yeah.

• 1:37:54Speaker 00

This is why, why has anybody tried to change you? Why has anybody tried to change Baker Mayfield?

• 1:37:59Speaker 11

Not necessarily as far into the Blue Mountain State spectrum, but like a football house.

• 1:38:04Travis Kelce?

  Classic.

• 1:38:04Speaker 11

  For the boys.

• 1:38:05Travis Kelce?

You gotta go full Blue Mountain State. Fuck that.

• 1:38:08Speaker 00

We got a football house in Cincinnati every time.

• 1:38:11Travis Kelce?

  Blue Mountain State.

• 1:38:12Speaker 00

Well, the first one I got, we, we found like this huge house on the wrong side of Clifton's campus, which has since been, it's, it's a much nicer side. The rent was dirt cheaper. Like, oh man, this is a steal. We're getting this ginormous house for dirt cheap and we beat the crap out of it. I mean, we had six guys in there, bunch of parties. And then we did the same thing over at our offensive lineman, our teammate, his parents built a house. Shout out to.

• 1:38:38Travis Kelce?

  The Davises.

• 1:38:39Speaker 00

The Davises. But yeah, big fan of the football houses. I mean, you're not, I feel like. In recruiting, if you see a great player who also lived at a football house, I'm getting that guy every day of the week. I want that guy on my team.

• 1:38:53Travis Kelce?

Team guy just wants to read. He always wants to be around the team.

• 1:38:57Speaker 00

I don't want the valedictorian that went to class over, he had like 15 different classes. I want the guy that did the minimal amount of work and freaking was, yeah, what are we talking about?

• 1:39:06Speaker 11

I want the guy that I know he threw in for beer money.

• 1:39:08Speaker 00

  That's right. That's right.

• 1:39:12Travis Kelce?

Did a beer run every now and then.

• 1:39:15Speaker 11

Put one on for the fellas. Come on now.

• 1:39:18Speaker 00

Yeah. Do you still hold grudges from being a walkout? Like, do you think about the quarterbacks that did get these big school offers that you felt like you were better than? Do you keep names? Is there a list somewhere?

• 1:39:30Speaker 11

I used to keep a list. It's a lot, a lot of anger to pen down inside of this. You said 6-1 when you gave me the intro. I'm just trying to, I'm trying to get the 6-1 if I stretch. There's a lot of anger to keeping this Napoleon complex body. You know what I mean?

• 1:39:47Speaker 11

Can't do that. But yeah, I know exactly who was ranked ahead of me. A lot of them are, well.

• 1:39:51Speaker 00

  They're not playing anymore.

• 1:39:52Speaker 11

Pretty much all of them aren't playing.

• 1:39:54Speaker 00

  Yeah.

• 1:39:54Travis Kelce?

There you go. There you go.

• 1:39:56Speaker 11

  It's all right.

• 1:39:57Travis Kelce?

We gotta talk about, we gotta talk about 2016 Texas Tech versus OU. So when you, when you transferred, was it like you just wanted to go to a different situation or, or you got out of there for, you know, a coaching reason or what, what made you transfer to OU?

• 1:40:13Speaker 11

The first five games I started at Texas Tech, we were 5-0. Fifth game or sixth game, I can't remember at this point. We, we were playing Kansas. I sprained my MCL. Minor sprain, though. I was going to be back in three weeks and one of them was a bye week. So I was like, okay, I'm going to miss two games, come back, get my job back. And when I came back, they had other plans. Davis Webb was playing, starting, and they, they just said they were going to roll with him. And I was like, okay, well, I'll just sit here and wait it out. We started out 7-0. So Davis won two games bye week and then I was healthy to come back the next one. And then we lost, I think, four or five in a row. And I was like, at that point, I went in and talked to Cliff. And it's like, hey, like, I don't know. I don't know what's going on. Regardless, do you think

• 1:40:57Speaker 11

there's a plan to have me on scholarship next offseason or like in the spring? He's like, no, we don't have one then. And I don't like bringing up stories like that because Cliff and I are good. Now we've talked about it.

• 1:41:07Speaker 00

  Yeah.

• 1:41:08Speaker 11

And he was like, no, we don't have one in the spring and we're still working on one for the fall. I was like, what? I thought I was your fucking starting quarterback. You don't have a scholarship?

• 1:41:14Speaker 00

  Yeah.

• 1:41:15Travis Kelce?

Five and O. What are we talking to? Are you talking five and O in the big 12? What are we doing?

• 1:41:19Speaker 11

Yeah. At that point I was like, you know what? My heart was never in at Texas Tech. I just went there because it was convenient and I grew up an OU fan. So I was like, okay, at this point I know I can play with the big dogs in D1.

• 1:41:30Travis Kelce?

  Hell yeah. You proved it.

• 1:41:31Speaker 11

I'm gonna take my chance and go transfer to OU and then my transfer got blocked by Tech. And so I had to sit out a year, which honestly was probably the best thing for me. Got to go through a season of, you know, just doing scout team workouts and enjoying that. And so I had a blast and it wound up working out exactly how it should have.

• 1:41:50Travis Kelce?

  Hell yeah, man.

• 1:41:51Speaker 11

Ended up where I wanted to be.

• 1:41:52Speaker 00

It's crazy how sometimes the things that where you feel like it's, it's, it's things that are ruining your career end up being like the best things that have ever happened, right? Like it's just, yeah. So, yeah, I can assimilate very much.

• 1:42:05Travis Kelce?

Oh yeah. You know, you're preaching to the choir over here, brother. I still, I still think I could be an NFL quarterback.

• 1:42:13Speaker 11

  Oh, man.

• 1:42:14Speaker 00

  I don't know. You're over two, right?

• 1:42:16Speaker 11

  You and your laterals.

• 1:42:19Speaker 00

The lateral king. Is Travis frozen? What's going on?

• 1:42:23Speaker 11

  He's frozen on mine. Yeah.

• 1:42:25Speaker 00

Oh no. Brandon, you want to run a technical support system right here?

• 1:42:30Speaker 11

Everything I got was like, charge it, make sure it's fully charged. If not have it plugged in.

• 1:42:35Speaker 00

I don't think Travis has read an email in a very long time.

• 1:42:39Speaker 11

You might be a West Coast, but the problem is your fucking shirt. What are you wearing?

• 1:42:44Speaker 04

What do you mean? What do you mean? What do you mean?

• 1:42:46Speaker 00

So, so he lives on the West Coast. This is Brandon is intern Brandon is from Texas. So it's not a

• 1:42:54Speaker 04

  Right.

• 1:42:54Speaker 11

  Where are you from?

• 1:42:55Speaker 04

That's, uh, just outside of Dallas. Frisco.

• 1:42:59Speaker 11

Oh, Scotty Scheffler guy, Dallas area.

• 1:43:05Speaker 04

You're not my problem till October.

• 1:43:09Speaker 04

All right. Well, Travis, welcome back.

• 1:43:10Speaker 11

  Oh, sorry, boys.

• 1:43:13Speaker 04

  Got that laptop plugged in.

• 1:43:16Speaker 00

I love you. He's already, he went out.

• 1:43:19Speaker 04

  Oh, he's frozen again.

• 1:43:20Speaker 00

  God damn it.

• 1:43:21Speaker 04

  Oh, fuck good guy.

• 1:43:23Speaker 00

  Are you serious?

• 1:43:26Speaker 04

We had a good run there.

• 1:43:27Speaker 11

Can we get him some new wifi?

• 1:43:29Speaker 04

Every season of the show is just a limp to the end.

• 1:43:32Speaker 00

We're kidding here. We're gonna make it.

• 1:43:35Speaker 04

  Best.

• 1:43:35Speaker 00

This fucking episode's electric so far, so.

• 1:43:38Speaker 04

It's great. So I mean, keep going.

• 1:43:40Travis Kelce?

2016 Texas Tech OU, the most legendary offensive football game known to man. Uh, Patty Mahomes versus Baker Mayfield. Uh, you gotta tell us, what was that game like while you were in, while you were actually in it?

• 1:43:55Speaker 11

So like my first time back to Levick as a player, um, was crazy. And you know, like the fans were chanting F you Baker and then like there's probably at the Jones, you can probably hold 68, 70,000.

• 1:44:10Speaker 00

  Okay.

• 1:44:10Speaker 11

I bet, I bet 45,000 of them were chanting F you Baker. You can hear it on like the TV copy. It's, it was good. It was electric.

• 1:44:18Travis Kelce?

It's gotta get you fired up though.

• 1:44:21Speaker 11

Nipples could cut, like cut glass on those.

• 1:44:26Speaker 11

No, I loved it. But I mean, the fact that I felt like it was Oklahoma versus Pat. We had to score touchdowns every single drive in the second half just to win the game. I'm like, what the hell is this? He had over like 813 or 819 yards total.

• 1:44:39Travis Kelce?

Eight, one, eight, one, nine. Dude, that's insane.

• 1:44:43Speaker 00

The official stat lines for both of these freaking unbelievable legends. Mahomes, 52 of 88. That's a lot of pass attempts.

• 1:44:50Travis Kelce?

  That's silly.

• 1:44:51Speaker 00

Fucking 88 pass attempts? Are you fucking, how does your arm not fall off? 734 yards, 819 total yards, five touchdowns. Shake and Baker, 27 to 36, much more normal stat line. I mean, Jesus Christ. 545 yards.

• 1:45:09Travis Kelce?

  Not so normal.

• 1:45:10Speaker 00

564 total, seven touchdowns. Dude, what the, this is like a basketball score. The 66 to 59.

• 1:45:19Speaker 11

  That was wild.

• 1:45:20Speaker 00

What did you say to the, what was, what was being said to your guys' defense on the sideline? Like guys, can we get any stops?

• 1:45:25Travis Kelce?

  Just give us one.

• 1:45:27Speaker 11

One. Just one. Just one please. Uh, no, it honestly was a matter of who had the ball last. I mean, that's, that's the type of game it was. I mean, it was crazy. Atmosphere was unbelievable. There was a couple easy completions there that Joe Mixon took to the house.

• 1:45:44Travis Kelce?

  Yeah.

• 1:45:45Speaker 11

  Some things, some things.

• 1:45:48Travis Kelce?

  Team game.

• 1:45:48Speaker 11

Yeah, team games, a team guy, football house kind of guy. No, but we, we had, we had a beat on some things.

• 1:45:54Travis Kelce?

  Beer run kind of guy.

• 1:45:55Speaker 11

  Yeah.

• 1:45:57Speaker 11

Paint your back porch, anything you want. Uh, no, but it was, it was unreal. But yeah, it was just like, hey, guys, just give us one. Give us one and we're good. Crazy, man.

• 1:46:06Speaker 00

This has got to be the greatest quarterback duel of all time in college football.

• 1:46:09Speaker 11

All time. Oh, and they, uh, the Texas Tech that throw the tortillas down the field.

• 1:46:14Speaker 00

  What kind of tortillas?

• 1:46:15Speaker 11

You gotta tell us. I don't know about this. Pat hasn't told you guys about this? I feel like I heard it from, from one of my guys. It's like an old tradition. They like, it's like an old tradition. They'll, they'll bring tortillas in like on the kickoff, they'll throw them in on the field.

• 1:46:27Speaker 00

Like we're talking soft shell or hard, or soft shell tortillas?

• 1:46:29Speaker 11

Soft shell, flour, no corn, too flimsy, wind will get it.

• 1:46:32Speaker 00

  Yeah, yeah, yeah.

• 1:46:33Speaker 11

So flowers are getting thrown and they're, they're pretty damn stale. And there's also no telling how, because they tried to ban it, but the kids will sneak them in anyway. There's no telling where they hide these things. They threw one down there on the field. I looked up, saw the guy who threw it, took a bite out of it.

• 1:46:50Speaker 00

  That's, that's a baller move.

• 1:46:51Speaker 11

  Didn't get sick.

• 1:46:52Speaker 00

No, but you sent a message. Yeah, yeah.

• 1:46:56Speaker 11

I will eat you for lunch and dinner.

• 1:47:00Speaker 00

  Oh my gosh.

• 1:47:02Travis Kelce?

You think I'm scared of a titillah? You think I'm scared of a titillah? Fuck out of here. Yeah, let's ask some about some of your OU teammates though, man. I'm a big fans of one of my guys that I'm still playing with today, Creed Humphrey.

• 1:47:15Speaker 00

  Yep.

• 1:47:16Travis Kelce?

You gotta give me, what was Creed like in college?

• 1:47:18Speaker 00

He was a football house guy, right?

• 1:47:19Speaker 11

  Football house guy.

• 1:47:21Travis Kelce?

Football house guy. Nice. Beer run kind of guy. Nice.

• 1:47:24Speaker 11

He had to make two. Well, the first one is for himself because he can drink a case of beer by himself.

• 1:47:30Speaker 11

And then the second one was for the fellas.

• 1:47:33Travis Kelce?

  Good man.

• 1:47:33Speaker 11

Absolute monster. All state wrestler, actual stud coming in. I didn't know centers could be left-handed. I thought that was just completely banned. I mean, we didn't have anything under center at Oklahoma, but we had, you know, like taken a knee or like a goal line play. And so when Creed would have to go in, we'd be like, hey Creed, you have to snap it with your right hand. So we tried to teach him. Under center, how to snap with his right hand. I couldn't do it. I can't go both ways, man. No, it's.

• 1:47:57Speaker 00

I can't in no capacity, in no capacity.

• 1:48:00Speaker 11

Could you snap left handed, Jason?

• 1:48:01Speaker 00

There's no, there's no chance. I can't do the simplest of tasks that I do every night. I couldn't do it at all. I'm not great at it.

• 1:48:12Speaker 00

Dude, I, it is honestly comical. The level of uncoordination I have with my left hand. Like there's guys that'll go in there like shoot basketballs left handed or throw left handed. I, I don't know what it is. I can't. The only thing I could do was I could, when I played lacrosse, I got to the point that I could shoot a lacrosse ball left handed and like stick it left handed. But outside of that, no chance. And we did the same thing. We had a left handed center in Philly that we tried to teach right handed. And he somehow got it down. But it is something that, it's a great point. Like, how much of a difference is it? To the point that they teach guys literally to do it with their offhand. Cause why would you ever do that unless it actually made that big of a difference?

• 1:48:53Speaker 11

I don't know what it is. I don't know if it's the angle of what it comes up, but it just, it felt weird.

• 1:48:58Speaker 00

  Yeah.

• 1:48:58Speaker 11

  I don't know.

• 1:48:59Speaker 00

Does it feel weird in shotgun too, or only underneath?

• 1:49:03Speaker 11

Well, I mean Creed snaps it like you, hard as fuck. So. I mean, the.

• 1:49:08Speaker 00

  Respect.

• 1:49:09Speaker 11

When you're looking at it, when you're looking at it, it looks weird, but it's fine.

• 1:49:13Speaker 00

  Okay.

• 1:49:13Speaker 11

It's just like, you're so used to the spin coming a certain way. And then all of a sudden it's coming a different way. It's.

• 1:49:21Speaker 00

  There we go.

• 1:49:22Speaker 11

Cuts the wind a little different.

• 1:49:23Speaker 00

What was it like playing with Mark Andrews?

• 1:49:25Speaker 11

Marky Andrews, baby. Oh, Mark, that. What a guy. You want to talk about anger problems? Mark's got some anger problems.

• 1:49:33Speaker 00

Dude, even when I, I've only talked to him a couple of times and I feel like he's mad at me about something. I don't even know. I feel like I didn't do anything wrong to him. What did I do?

• 1:49:41Speaker 11

I mean, one of my, one of my best friends, but. He will not talk to me during football season.

• 1:49:47Speaker 00

  Really?

• 1:49:49Speaker 11

He was in our wedding and won't talk to me during football season. We used to play him twice a year. I'd see him after the game and be like, hey, how you doing? Like, don't, don't, don't come up to me like we've never talked before.

• 1:49:59Speaker 00

  Yeah.

• 1:49:59Speaker 11

I've drank way too many Red Bull vodkas with you at Logie's in Norman for you to act like that in front of me.

• 1:50:06Speaker 00

  Oh, my gosh. What is?

• 1:50:08Speaker 11

  I love the death.

• 1:50:08Travis Kelce?

My guy's all about ball, man.

• 1:50:10Speaker 00

Like, is this like you'll text him and he just doesn't respond? Or is this just, oh, my gosh, come on.

• 1:50:15Speaker 11

Yeah, I'll reach out. I'll reach out to his brother just to try to get an answer.

• 1:50:19Travis Kelce?

  My guy's locked in.

• 1:50:21Speaker 11

I mean, there's locked in. There's been a psycho. My goodness.

• 1:50:25Travis Kelce?

Sometimes there's only one way to do things.

• 1:50:29Speaker 11

I mean, all ball, all ball for sure.

• 1:50:31Travis Kelce?

Talk about a guy had to persevere through some things last year with the injuries and everything, man. Still comes up fucking huge late in the, late in the season for, for Baltimore, man. The two-headed monster they got in, in the tight end room, really three-headed monster. And then you add the fucking, the rhinoceros they have at fullback. That, that offense is fucking insane, man.

• 1:50:51Speaker 00

  Yeah.

• 1:50:52Speaker 11

It's unbelievable. When I was in Cleveland, just watching them, I'm like, oh, man, we're not getting the ball back. They're just, they're about to milk this shit. They're in 15 personnel. It's not even possible.

• 1:51:03Speaker 00

Right. Yeah. What do we do?

• 1:51:06Speaker 11

  It's not easy.

• 1:51:07Speaker 00

Let's work it back to the 2018 draft. As we've said before, earlier in this episode, number one overall pick to our beloved Cleveland Browns. When did you know you were going to go one overall?

• 1:51:17Speaker 11

  Not till that phone call.

• 1:51:19Speaker 00

  Really?

• 1:51:20Travis Kelce?

  So fucking cool.

• 1:51:21Speaker 00

Wow, because I feel like a lot of the times.

• 1:51:23Travis Kelce?

Hardly hear that. I feel like you hardly hear that. Yeah.

• 1:51:27Speaker 11

No, and like now knowing John Dorsey.

• 1:51:31Travis Kelce?

  John Dorsey, baby.

• 1:51:34Speaker 11

  The legend himself.

• 1:51:35Travis Kelce?

  My guy, man.

• 1:51:37Speaker 11

Now knowing him, I could probably have said, okay, I'm going to, I'm going to Cleveland. But before that, I wouldn't have known. I mean, just, it was a standard, standard meeting. And I say that because Dorsey at the combine. So when I got, I got arrested before my senior year in 2017.

• 1:51:53Speaker 00

  No.

• 1:51:53Speaker 11

I was in Fayetteville, Arkansas, a little, little dose of public intoxication.

• 1:51:59Speaker 00

Yeah. That's like, yeah, that's, that's not it.

• 1:52:02Speaker 11

Restaurants are in public. You should be able to drink. Yeah.

• 1:52:04Travis Kelce?

Would you have a few too many at Arby's? I mean, Applebee's? Fuck.

• 1:52:09Speaker 11

  I don't know where I was, man.

• 1:52:10Speaker 00

Listen, if you have, if you have a few too many at Arby's, that is a red flag. If you're drinking at Arby's.

• 1:52:16Speaker 11

  Can you drink at Arby's?

• 1:52:18Speaker 00

  No, you can't. That's why it's a red flag.

• 1:52:20Travis Kelce?

  I'm at, I'm at Applebee's, my bad.

• 1:52:22Speaker 00

  Yeah, I tried that.

• 1:52:23Speaker 11

But when I walked in at the combine, train station interview, and I mean, everybody's in that tiny little room jam packed. I walk in, first thing I hear is you like food trucks, because I got arrested right after going to a food truck in Arkansas. And it was Dorsey. And so now knowing that, he was probably just seeing how I would react.

• 1:52:42Speaker 00

  Yeah.

• 1:52:42Speaker 11

  Or whatever.

• 1:52:43Speaker 00

  Yeah.

• 1:52:43Speaker 11

Of course I love food trucks.

• 1:52:44Speaker 00

Yeah, love them. What are you talking about?

• 1:52:46Travis Kelce?

Ah, street meat, street meat can get a little dicey.

• 1:52:48Speaker 00

I don't, come on Travis, you don't do food trucks?

• 1:52:51Travis Kelce?

A little dicey. You know, depends on if I'm publicly intoxicated or not.

• 1:52:55Speaker 00

Dude, I'm not gonna lie, I would go up to damn near any food vendor. All right. Other first round quarterbacks drafted in that draft.

• 1:53:03Travis Kelce?

Dude, hell of a draft. Are you kidding me?

• 1:53:05Speaker 00

Sam Darnold, number three, Josh Allen, number seven, Josh Rosen, number 10, Lamar Jackson, number 32. That's a hell of a fucking draft class for QBs.

• 1:53:15Speaker 11

  Squad.

• 1:53:16Travis Kelce?

Isn't it funny to think about, they were gonna fucking try, everybody was trying to convince Lamar to not play quarterback? Isn't that fucking hilarious?

• 1:53:24Speaker 11

  Wild.

• 1:53:24Travis Kelce?

I mean, holy shit. I can't, I can't imagine, like, what? I mean, he keeps getting better every single year. I can understand if they were trying to make an excuse just because of how athletic he was, but his arm talent is fucking arguably just as good as his ability to fucking move around. It's insane.

• 1:53:41Speaker 00

  He can sling it.

• 1:53:43Speaker 11

He does get better every year. And like, he's always had the arm strength. And also, when you can't tackle him, throw it wherever you want.

• 1:53:50Travis Kelce?

  There you go.

• 1:53:51Speaker 11

  He's just gotten better.

• 1:53:52Speaker 00

He has made people look straight stupid.

• 1:53:54Speaker 11

R I P to Josh Rosen, just telling everybody there's nine, nine, nine mistakes ahead of him.

• 1:54:00Travis Kelce?

Ah, dude, I feel like one of the last times I saw fucking, uh, Johnny D, he was, um, he was working Josh Rosen out at, uh, UCLA. And guess who was running routes for him? Terrell Owens, TO was out there running routes for Josh Rosen during his like pro day.

• 1:54:21Speaker 00

  Yeah.

• 1:54:21Speaker 11

Which TO could still run some routes.

• 1:54:23Travis Kelce?

He could still listen to go ball. Give him the go ball all day. He could still hawk down a go ball. I promise you, man. I'll see him in passing here and there because we got the same trainer out in LA and he'll, he'll let me know like, hey, man, make sure you let, let big red know I could still run routes. I'm just like, I will, dude. I've seen it, dude. It was like, a lot of these old guys will say that like, I'm good for one game and then TO is like full on like, no, I could play a whole season guaranteed.

• 1:54:48Speaker 00

You were claimed off of waivers by the Carolina Panthers, then played a game in 48 hours for the Los Angeles Rams.

• 1:54:58Travis Kelce?

Dude, that game was so electric.

• 1:55:01Speaker 00

  Not only played, won.

• 1:55:04Travis Kelce?

No, not just one. I was about to say, yeah, leading a fourth quarter cup. Dude, that shit was so fucking epic. I was, I was at the house, jumping through the fucking roof like, get a bake, get a bake, throwing fucking dimes all over the field. Um, I think, what was it? Jefferson? I think was your, uh?

• 1:55:22Speaker 11

  Fan Jefferson, yeah.

• 1:55:23Travis Kelce?

Dude, dude, had a fucking great game. You guys were connecting all the time. How crazy was that though? To come in fucking midweek, like, like insane.

• 1:55:33Speaker 00

What are you even doing in two minute drill? Cause two minute is all like signals and like on the line. How does that even happen? How did you communicate the play? Did you remember the play where they were like, give me?

• 1:55:43Travis Kelce?

Jason, he's a professional. Of course he remembered.

• 1:55:46Speaker 00

It's 48 hours though, Travis. Like, I don't understand. All right, go ahead. Sorry.

• 1:55:50Speaker 11

You're good, but it's wild having to rush to the airport because I got a call from less and less need Sean McVay. Like, hey, we'd love to get you out here earlier to see if you can possibly play Thursday. And I was like, fuck. So I rushed to the airport, catch the last flight I possibly can. I mean, I just cleared waivers and got picked up. Get on the flight, get out there. I'm on, get to West Coast. I get to the facility at 10:00 PM. So it's me, Liam Cohen and Zach Robinson and Sean McVay going through what they have offensively. Luckily, protection wise, I was good. Bill Callahan system, like I was, I was good on protection wise, terminology, all that.

• 1:56:27Travis Kelce?

  Perfect.

• 1:56:28Speaker 11

If you're gonna eliminate that, eliminates a big part of it.

• 1:56:31Travis Kelce?

  Hell fucking yeah.

• 1:56:32Speaker 11

Did that, after that, I was cramming for a fucking SAT or ACT. Just a lot of memorization. Hey, just, just know that these are two by two formations. These are three by one. These are one by three. I was like, okay, cool. Like other than that, like those guys will get lined up. So other than like, I'm having to memorize concepts and whatnot. And I mean, they were like, okay, what you really need to memorize is our like no huddle stuff because we think you can do that. You need to memorize that. And then I'll be damned. Had to, had to learn it for the last, uh, under two minutes.

• 1:57:02Travis Kelce?

Right into it, dude, for a fucking game winner. Sean McVay, though, I'd say it all the time, man. I would, he was one of my favorite coaches I had, I got a pleasure to meet with coming out. When he was over at, it's as a tight end coach at DC, how fucking crazy was it jumping into like a short week like that? Like he already talks fast. How, I can only imagine when the time was crossed, how fucking fast he's ripping those fucking like concepts and, and reads and all that shit.

• 1:57:30Speaker 11

And I still give him shit because he talks fast and they were like, Sean, we're gonna have to make Baker a wristband for the game. So they had like, they had like 76 plays on there, which was a lot for me to learn in 24 hours.

• 1:57:43Travis Kelce?

  Yeah.

• 1:57:43Speaker 11

He didn't call a single fucking playoff that wristband.

• 1:57:48Speaker 11

I don't still give him hell about it, but I mean, just an unbelievable guy. What you see is what you get. He's always that energy, always. And it's just, he's a great dude.

• 1:57:56Travis Kelce?

  Great dude, man.

• 1:57:57Speaker 00

That's a completely different system. Like was, I know that you said the offensive line terminology was the same. Were, were the concepts were like, everything that they were doing, was it completely foreign or was there at least somewhat of a crossover? Where was that?

• 1:58:10Speaker 11

It was like, it was memorizing the pass concepts because you can't exactly reinvent the wheel on it, but I had a good idea for it. But I mean, some of these play calls, I was like, I've never said that many words in my life. Not even in a speech. How many words can you possibly put before you say can?

• 1:58:27Speaker 00

How do you feel about the long verbiage? I couldn't stand it when I was in the huddle. Whenever the quarterback sounded like he was saying a short story, I'd be like, dude, we got, can we shorten this down to like a one-worder? Like, we know if it's got that many motions, just call it fucking shenanigans.

• 1:58:43Travis Kelce?

  If we could, we would.

• 1:58:45Speaker 00

No, you can, you can. I don't want to hear this. It would drive me crazy.

• 1:58:48Speaker 11

Like, the first play they taught me was like, Zimo's out there, close F short, and got, all right, we got 16 waffles, ski, Ken, it was 17 tiff. And I was like, what the fuck is that?

• 1:59:01Speaker 11

  What?

• 1:59:02Speaker 00

Perfect, perfect. All right. Jot that one down. What's the next one? All right, we got 72 more to go.

• 1:59:08Speaker 11

Got it. All up here in the noggin.

• 1:59:11Travis Kelce?

Guys, safety rotation, understood. Oh, man. We got one more, um, one more segment. We call it, we gotta ask, but you don't have to answer. You can just tell, fuck off, dude. So, uh, we'll just be rapid firing them at you, dude. First one I got for you, after you got signed by the Bucks to follow the, the GOAT, Tom Brady. Uh, did you get any advice from Tom?

• 1:59:34Speaker 11

  No.

• 1:59:36Speaker 00

  Solid.

• 1:59:37Travis Kelce?

You're a savvy vet, you don't need any, you know? Hey, Tom, where's the, uh, best spot to eat in town?

• 1:59:43Speaker 11

I don't think we eat the same things.

• 1:59:45Speaker 00

Yeah, there we go. You know, for talking on the field, what did you say to Nick Bosa when you stiff-harmed him while throwing the, uh, the fourth one, throwing for a fourth down conversion? Let's throw this clip up there.

• 2:00:03Speaker 11

Best part is I wouldn't even throw it to Rashad.

• 2:00:09Speaker 11

I was throwing it to Sterling Shepard, right?

• 2:00:11Speaker 00

  Right behind him?

• 2:00:17Speaker 00

Exactly what he was trying to do. You got it.

• 2:00:19Speaker 11

Just how I drew it up, man. I'm fourth and gotta have it, just how I drew it up.

• 2:00:24Travis Kelce?

Just, just sometimes you just gotta give it a chance.

• 2:00:26Speaker 11

We're in two-minute mode, so I didn't say anything, or else I would have, uh, I would have tried to talk some shit to Nick.

• 2:00:31Travis Kelce?

  There you go.

• 2:00:32Speaker 00

Do you have a go-to, like? Shit talking phrases like what is your are you cursor are you?

• 2:00:38Travis Kelce?

Are you big fuck you guy or you?

• 2:00:40Speaker 00

Do you do you attack them as people?

• 2:00:42Travis Kelce?

See me on the see me on the next play. See me on the next play.

• 2:00:45Speaker 11

No, I I took this one from Arian Foster a long time ago. I watched a mic'd up clip of him.

• 2:00:50Speaker 00

  Okay.

• 2:00:51Speaker 11

He told somebody to turn around. It's like, what's the name on the back of that jersey? I don't know who you are. Fuck off.

• 2:00:55Travis Kelce?

Oh. That one can sting. That one can sting.

• 2:00:58Speaker 00

Ouch. That would hurt. That would hurt.

• 2:01:00Speaker 11

I can't take credit for it, but yeah, it's a good one.

• 2:01:03Speaker 00

  I'm Jason. I'm Jason.

• 2:01:05Travis Kelce?

  Jason.

• 2:01:09Travis Kelce?

Last season, you doubted of a play to get Mike Evans his 11th consecutive 1000 yard season.

• 2:01:14Speaker 00

God, this was an awesome fucking moment.

• 2:01:16Travis Kelce?

If that play didn't work, I mean, you got to keep coming back to him though, right?

• 2:01:20Speaker 00

  For sure, right?

• 2:01:21Speaker 11

Well, here's the thing. We had the game sealed. We should have been taking a knee.

• 2:01:24Speaker 00

  Yeah.

• 2:01:25Travis Kelce?

  Oh, yeah.

• 2:01:25Speaker 11

We threw the ball in a must knee situation with the playoffs on the line.

• 2:01:31Travis Kelce?

Ooh, yeah. That makes it dicey.

• 2:01:33Speaker 11

Say this gets tipped pick six. Oh, gosh.

• 2:01:37Speaker 00

Yeah, I'm seeing this now. I'm seeing this now. That's that's an aggressive move.

• 2:01:42Speaker 11

I wish you like it doesn't do it justice with the fan reaction, the sideline reaction, that video unbelievable. But how much it meant for Mike, how much Mike means the community, the coaching staff, the organization like that, that says it all. To throw the ball when you're going to the playoffs already to throw the ball and risk something to get somebody an achievement to tie Jerry Rice? I mean, that guy is an absolute stud.

• 2:02:06Travis Kelce?

  Absolute stud, man.

• 2:02:07Speaker 00

Mike, um, I've only had the fortune of playing with him in Pro Bowls, but you can even tell just in those settings. Freaking great teammate, man. That guy has great energy, awesome personality, a guy that you would love playing with. And you could see it in those reactions, like everybody was so juiced about it. So that's awesome, man. Hell, yeah.

• 2:02:26Speaker 11

  Yep.

• 2:02:26Speaker 00

All right. Who's the better dancer? You or Travis?

• 2:02:31Travis Kelce?

  Come on, man. What?

• 2:02:33Speaker 11

I mean, Travis has more practice now with the background choreographers, T. Swift.

• 2:02:38Speaker 00

  Yes.

• 2:02:38Speaker 11

If we're talking natural abilities, I got him.

• 2:02:41Travis Kelce?

  You do. You do.

• 2:02:44Speaker 11

Now rehearsals and stuff, he might have the upper hand. I don't know.

• 2:02:48Speaker 00

  Yeah.

• 2:02:51Speaker 00

  He's had professional work.

• 2:02:53Travis Kelce?

  Practice?

• 2:02:55Speaker 11

  Talk about practice?

• 2:02:56Travis Kelce?

Come on now, babe. I'll just go out there and wing it.

• 2:03:00Speaker 11

  Have a little rhythm.

• 2:03:01Travis Kelce?

Come on now. The best one is, is the, the, the on the, like, the one that showed everybody you could dance back at Oklahoma. How often had you guys done that in, like at Oklahoma, just fucking around with the boys?

• 2:03:14Speaker 11

They knew I could dance a little bit, but then that was like, we went to Disney, we're in the, it's the year I sat out. So we're playing Clemson. I'm doing nothing. I'm just on a free trip to Disney.

• 2:03:24Travis Kelce?

  Publicly intoxicated, enjoying my time.

• 2:03:29Speaker 11

Not legally at that time, uh, but the kids were doing a little dance circle and both teams were around and then all of a sudden it escalated pretty quickly. They threw the little white guy in there and you know what?

• 2:03:40Travis Kelce?

  Come on now.

• 2:03:41Speaker 00

  Hey.

• 2:03:41Speaker 11

  Shake it up.

• 2:03:42Speaker 00

  That's right.

• 2:03:47Travis Kelce?

What's tougher though? Being an NFL quarterback or being the father of a one year old?

• 2:03:51Speaker 11

Father of one year olds easier than being an NFL quarterback. Now, when she gets to a certain age, that answer is going to quickly change.

• 2:03:58Speaker 00

Oh, yeah. Yeah. I'm not looking forward to that. I got four girls and they're going to be in high school pretty much at the same time. I might just.

• 2:04:05Speaker 11

  Good luck, buddy.

• 2:04:06Speaker 00

I'm going to unretire. I'm going to unretire. Sixty, fifty, fifty something years old. Jason's guys, he's trying to make an NFL comeback.

• 2:04:16Travis Kelce?

We'll get you about two fifty now. So you can't go back to center. We're gonna get you over here playing some tight end, bud.

• 2:04:23Travis Kelce?

Come on over to tight end.

• 2:04:27Speaker 00

Wait till they start turning two and then they don't listen and freaking it's, yeah, yeah. It'll be fun. No, it's great.

• 2:04:33Travis Kelce?

Listen. You had disobedient kids, Jason?

• 2:04:36Speaker 00

No, they don't have, they're not disobedient.

• 2:04:39Speaker 11

  I know it's not Kylie's fault.

• 2:04:40Speaker 00

Yeah, well, it's definitely not Kylie's fault.

• 2:04:43Speaker 00

All right. You started the Baker and Emily Mayfield Foundation where one of the things you do is give out walk-ons scholarships, which fuck yes.

• 2:04:52Travis Kelce?

  Awesome, man.

• 2:04:53Speaker 00

What makes a Baker Mayfield walk-on?

• 2:04:55Speaker 11

You know, we obviously, when we send the thing out for applicants, read through all the letters and seeing the stories of resilience, what people had to go through, whether it was upbringing or in a tragic event they had to go through to get to where they're at, just following their dream. And that's, that's the biggest thing. So our, our motto is to try and level the playing field. Obviously, college landscape nowadays is different with NIL, but for some of these walk-ons that are true walk-ons in other sports and everything to just to try and find the person that deserves it the most. And then also, when we get the finalists, trying to reach out to people and see if, is their story true? Just to make sure, verify it.

• 2:05:35Speaker 00

  It's probably smart. Yeah.

• 2:05:37Speaker 11

Yeah. And just to, just to be sure of that. And so trying to level playing field for people that really deserve it.

• 2:05:42Speaker 00

Dude, I think, um, I don't, my favorite videos every year in college, and we were fortunate to be a part of one with Drew Brees of Cincinnati, where we awarded one of the Bearcats a scholarship. But dude, seeing those videos of a guy that's been busting his tail, especially like an older guy that's kind of put in a few years, or I mean, anybody's getting a scholarship, the, you could see the whole team erupt because of how much everybody's behind it. It's not unsimilar to what happens with Mike Evans when you get these kids. And those are my favorite videos every year. So great, great job to you. Great job to you, to your wife. That's, that's tremendous, man. Good shit.

• 2:06:17Speaker 11

  Appreciate it. Yeah. Love it.

• 2:06:19Speaker 00

What is your welcome to the NFL moment?

• 2:06:24Speaker 11

Actually against you boys in the preseason. Yeah. Fletcher Cox threw me like an absolute rag doll.

• 2:06:32Speaker 11

Welcome to the league, bitch. I was like, oh my.

• 2:06:36Speaker 00

In the preseason. In the preseason. Bro, Fletch. Damn, that ain't right. Fletch, for some reason, would do that with young guys. Why was he playing in the preseason? That's my biggest question. You gotta ask Jim. I don't know what Schwartz he was doing with that one, but I don't know what, dude. He, so I tell people this a lot. I've noticed two people's grip strengths, like when they've grabbed me in my entire career. One of them was Clay Matthews. For some reason, he grabbed me, he was like head up in like a goal line play and he grabbed my shoulder, but it's like, why the fuck are this guy's hands so strong? Cause he wasn't even that big of a guy. And then all of a sudden, Fletcher Cox, he, we drafted him, he comes in and he would grab me with his hands and it felt like the most emasculated I've ever felt like.

• 2:07:20Speaker 00

This guy could do whatever he wants with me right now. So.

• 2:07:24Speaker 11

  You can have your way.

• 2:07:25Speaker 00

  Yeah.

• 2:07:26Speaker 11

Clay was just used to putting that thing in a ponytail. He had the grip strength to put the band up, whatever.

• 2:07:32Speaker 00

That's where he worked it out.

• 2:07:35Speaker 00

Oh my gosh, dude, I, I got another one.

• 2:07:38Speaker 04

Hold, hold on real quick. Baker's, Baker's frozen. Oh, he's back.

• 2:07:41Speaker 00

  Was he frozen?

• 2:07:42Speaker 11

  No, you're frozen, Brandon.

• 2:07:43Speaker 00

  You're frozen, Brandon.

• 2:07:44Speaker 04

  Oh shit. I'm, no, no.

• 2:07:47Speaker 00

You got West Coast. Damn it. Yeah. Hold your ass. What is a Baker Mayfield taco? What's your, what's your favorite go-to kind of tacos? I know you're a taco guy.

• 2:07:57Speaker 11

  Oh, I am.

• 2:07:58Speaker 00

Are you food truck? Are you, are you kind of like the upscale, like kind of trendy taco spot? Are you like, they, they better not even be speaking English in there. What kind of tacos are you getting?

• 2:08:08Speaker 11

I hope they don't speak English.

• 2:08:09Speaker 00

  Right?

• 2:08:10Speaker 11

I want the greasiest of greasy. I want to taste all the flavors they've had on this cast iron they got going back there. The flat top. I want to see all of it.

• 2:08:17Speaker 00

  Yes.

• 2:08:18Speaker 11

You better not have any food allergies to the food trucks I'm going to.

• 2:08:22Speaker 11

Cross contamination out the ass. I want all of it.

• 2:08:25Speaker 00

You, you corn tortilla, flour tortilla, it doesn't matter. Will you eat all of it?

• 2:08:30Speaker 11

Well, my body's a temple, so I'm corn tortillas right now, but flour is preference.

• 2:08:35Travis Kelce?

  The older we get.

• 2:08:38Speaker 11

Oh my gosh, I used to be able to eat anything. It's bullshit.

• 2:08:40Travis Kelce?

Ninety-two percenters, Baker Mayfield. Appreciate you tuning, appreciate you coming on, man, and giving us some time to stories, brother. And can't wait to see you guys out of Tahoe, man. It's gonna be a fucking blast. Over, under, over, under thirty beers a day?

• 2:08:54Speaker 00

Dude, it's gonna be over thirty at the Lucky Beaver alone. What are you talking about?

• 2:08:57Speaker 11

  There we go.

• 2:09:01Travis Kelce?

All right, brother. Well, let's get out of here.

• 2:09:02Speaker 11

  Appreciate it, guys.

• 2:09:04Speaker 00

And that does it for our interview with Baker Mayfield.

• 2:09:07Travis Kelce?

  You.

• 2:09:08Speaker 00

Shake it, babe. Can't wait to see what he does this year in Tampa Bay. It's been awesome seeing his career get rejuvenated down there in Florida.

• 2:09:17Travis Kelce?

Yeah, and everybody's healthy down there in Tampa, man. Everybody's healthy, start of the year.

• 2:09:22Speaker 00

They had a very good team before guys started going down last year. If they can stay healthy, they can cause a lot of problems in the NFC. That also wraps up this season of New Heights. How about that?

Yeah, it's not gonna be that long.

• 2:10:55Speaker 00

  Don't forget about us. Please.

• 2:10:57Travis Kelce?

  Please, please.

• 2:11:09Speaker 00

What's the next thing we can spend on a corporate card as the NFLPA? To be more ridiculous.

• 2:11:15Speaker 04

That's one of my favorite segments now.

• 2:11:17Speaker 00

Can we use any of that?

• 2:11:18Travis Kelce?

We need a woman's voice. What can we, can we use any of that?

• 2:11:21Speaker 04

Dude, this is like the one recording Carly's not on and we fucking immediately go that.

• 2:11:27Speaker 04

Honestly, she would be worse about it. She's a degenerate. She would be way worse about it.

• 2:11:30Speaker 00

Carly would be pro this conversation from.

• 2:11:33Speaker 04

Carly's not the voice of reason you think she is.

• 2:11:35Speaker 00

No, she would not be helpful in this situation. Okay, Maggie said it's not that bad for one's POV. Okay, Maggie said not that bad. We'll take it. Please send all your tweets.

• 2:11:47Travis Kelce?

  I think we'll take it.

• 2:11:48Speaker 04

If you do think it's bad, please send tweets to Jay Chatsky on Twitter, not me. I don't want to hear about this one.

• 2:11:54Speaker 00

  What does McKenna say?

• 2:11:55Speaker 04

McKenna, what's the ruling? There we go.

• 2:11:57Speaker 00

  Yeah.

• 2:11:58Travis Kelce?

Oh, all right. I think that's a thumbs up.

• 2:12:00Speaker 00

There we go. Is Bambi even a good name for a stripper? I don't even know if that's good or not.

• 2:12:05Travis Kelce?

Dude, it was, it was perfect.

• 2:12:08Speaker 04

Also, it's a good fake stripper name. It's like right what people, like it's imaginary. Yeah, it's good.

• 2:12:13Speaker 00

  Yeah.

• 2:12:14Travis Kelce?

It plays as that you think that's what their names are.

• 2:12:17Speaker 04

Yeah, it plays innocent enough. If you named like a real one, I went, oh.

• 2:12:20Travis Kelce?

Damn it, Jason, that shit was fucking gold, man.

• 2:12:24Speaker 00

Move your tits. I'm trying to show a graphic.

• 2:12:28Travis Kelce?

What if they have their laptops out?

• 2:12:31Speaker 04

  The words are numbers.
