• 2:06Speaker 02

  Hey guys, what's going on?

• 2:11Speaker 02

  What's up?

• 2:12Speaker 01

Oh, I'm just sitting here reading Off Campus 3: The Score by L. Kennedy.

• 2:18Speaker 02

  It's a huge book seller.

• 2:21Speaker 00

Would you like to read a chapter?

• 2:22Speaker 01

  Yeah, let's read something.

• 2:23Speaker 02

Which book you got? I gotta pull my book out. There's a lot of pulling out in this book.

• 2:29Speaker 00

  How do you know?

• 2:30Speaker 01

Ah, you know, it's a thing.

• 2:32Speaker 00

I'm just gonna randomly open up a page here. We are on 181.

• 2:36Speaker 02

Which book? You got a green book.

• 2:38Speaker 00

What's Wrong? I ask. Nothing. He clears his throat, then slides out of the booth and tugs up to me next to him. Dance with me. To this? I'm baffled for a moment, till I remember what a huge hard-on he was for Lynyrd Skynyrd. Come to think of it, I'm pretty sure this song was on the playlist he emailed me last week.

• 2:56Speaker 02

Since when do you dance, G?

• 2:57Speaker 00

Oh, you got it, you got it, okay. Oh, this is getting good. Holy fuck, there's a note of awe in his voice as he joins me on the couch. His hard "whoa" bobs with each step he takes. I know, they've grown. His... His nails between my legs. Reaching out to cup my heavy boob. They're fucking amazing. I shiver when his thumbs rub across my... Okay, wow, this is getting hot and heavy.

• 3:25Speaker 01

I think our guest is arriving here in a sec. It's very exciting. Kevin, you have some background to...

• 3:32Speaker 02

Yeah, a little background. I started this incredible show on Prime Video with my wife Danielle. And we left to go to California that next morning, early. We got through about four episodes. Cut to I come back expecting to be able to pick right back up where we left off. And the entire series had been completed without me.

• 3:51Speaker 01

So she, uh, series cheated on you?

• 3:54Speaker 02

  She series cheated on me.

• 3:55Speaker 01

Our guest is here, guys. Mika, welcome.

• 3:57Speaker 06

  Hi.

• 3:58Speaker 01

We're so happy to have you.

• 3:58Speaker 02

  Hi, welcome.

• 3:59Speaker 01

We were just telling a story, Kevin was telling a story about how his wife basically jumped him and finished a series, the big hit series off campus on Prime Video. Congratulations.

• 4:10Speaker 06

  Oh, that one. Thank you.

• 4:11Speaker 02

  Congrats.

• 4:12Speaker 01

Kevin, can you finish your story, please?

• 4:14Speaker 02

We were watching the show. It's incredible. Congratulations on the massive show and massive success. Got through about episode four, maybe five before, and we left the next morning, oh, I'm sorry, I left the next morning to go meet the guys to just recording and came back, was like, cool, let's pick up where we left off. And that series had been completed without me.

• 4:34Speaker 06

Oh, no. That's like the number one rule of watching some.

• 4:37Speaker 01

  It's cheating, basically.

• 4:38Speaker 06

It's literally cheating. Like, that's crazy.

• 4:39Speaker 02

  It's crazy. It's unacceptable.

• 4:41Speaker 01

And you and Danielle are still good, though.

• 4:42Speaker 02

We're good. You know, I've let it, I let it go. I let it go. It's all right.

• 4:46Speaker 06

It's also a crazy episode to, like, leave on.

• 4:48Speaker 02

Now, I don't know what's happening, so I have to, no spoilers, but yes, I'm gonna have to finish. I'm very excited.

• 4:54Speaker 01

  Congrats on the show.

• 4:55Speaker 06

  Thank you.

• 4:56Speaker 01

Yeah, congrats. It's amazing. Am I right to say you're into season two now? You started filming already?

• 4:59Speaker 06

So, so into season two, I wrapped it 1:00 in the morning.

• 5:03Speaker 02

  Oh, wow.

• 5:04Speaker 01

Are you filming here in LA?

• 5:05Speaker 06

No, I just landed from Vancouver and came straight from the airport.

• 5:09Speaker 02

  Oh, wow. Wow, okay.

• 5:10Speaker 01

The Coov. I just shot a movie up there about two months ago.

• 5:13Speaker 06

  Yeah.

• 5:13Speaker 02

Is that what they call it? The Coov?

• 5:15Speaker 06

I've never heard that before, but.

• 5:16Speaker 01

  The cool people do.

• 5:17Speaker 06

  Okay.

• 5:18Speaker 02

I was like, I was like, the Coov. She's never heard that. She's been there working longer than I have.

• 5:21Speaker 01

Did you shoot the first season there?

• 5:21Speaker 02

  The Coov.

• 5:22Speaker 06

  We did, yeah.

• 5:23Speaker 01

  Yeah. It's a great town.

• 5:24Speaker 06

It's good, especially in the summer.

• 5:26Speaker 01

  I know.

• 5:27Speaker 06

Like, was it warm yet when you were there?

• 5:28Speaker 01

It was getting warmer, but it wasn't quite there yet.

• 5:30Speaker 06

  Oh, so you missed it.

• 5:31Speaker 01

Season two's underway. You wrapped at 1:00 AM. You came straight here. Thank you for coming.

• 5:35Speaker 06

  Literally anytime.

• 5:36Speaker 01

Bit of a trek. We were very excited to have you on the pod. The show's a massive success, obviously, and globally, you know, a cultural kind of phenomenon. When did you first hear about the show being developed into a series? And when, when did you get the role? Give us the whole backstory.

• 5:53Speaker 06

I heard about it, like, from my team, I want to say, like, last February or something like that. Um, and I wasn't, I was like, I knew of the books, but I didn't know what the whole thing was about. I didn't know what book talk was.

• 6:09Speaker 01

  A lot of hockey.

• 6:10Speaker 06

Yeah. And this was also pre, um, heated rivalry. So I was like hockey, you know?

• 6:17Speaker 01

  Are you a hockey fan?

• 6:18Speaker 06

I am because you know, I'm from Dallas, which actually has a big hockey.

• 6:22Speaker 01

  Shout out.

• 6:23Speaker 06

  Culture.

• 6:23Speaker 01

  I was born in Dallas.

• 6:25Speaker 06

  You were?

• 6:25Speaker 01

  I was, yeah.

• 6:26Speaker 06

  Oh, my God.

• 6:27Speaker 01

Lived there till I was four and we moved back when I, I don't know, in 20, 2008.

• 6:31Speaker 06

  Okay.

• 6:31Speaker 01

Our parents went to, to school there together and then they moved back to actually work at that school.

• 6:36Speaker 06

  To SMU?

• 6:36Speaker 01

No, they were to Bible college called Christ for the Nations.

• 6:39Speaker 06

  Perfect.

• 6:40Speaker 01

  Do you know it?

• 6:40Speaker 06

  Me too. No.

• 6:41Speaker 01

  Oh.

• 6:44Speaker 06

The Dallas Stars. Yeah. I don't know why hockey's big in Dallas. Um, but it is. So, yeah.

• 6:49Speaker 02

Also Vegas, hot. I don't, people like, I think it's something to do when it's too hot.

• 6:54Speaker 06

And then like, North Carolina did well this year or Carolina.

• 6:59Speaker 01

  Yeah, South Carolina, the Hurricanes.

• 7:00Speaker 06

  The Hurricanes.

• 7:01Speaker 01

Which feels like an inappropriate name to me.

• 7:03Speaker 06

  That's like insensitive.

• 7:04Speaker 01

  Really insensitive.

• 7:05Speaker 06

  Yeah.

• 7:06Speaker 02

  Here they come.

• 7:07Speaker 01

Your team, your team reaches out. They tell you, hey, there's this project being developed, Prime.

• 7:12Speaker 06

  Uh huh.

• 7:12Speaker 01

And, and was it always Ally that you were, you were after?

• 7:15Speaker 06

No. So, okay. Well, it was always Ally that I was after. Originally I auditioned for Hannah and I was like, this just doesn't like, make sense to me. And they were like, no, no, no, we agree. And like the casting team and the producers also agree, but they were only casting, um, or they were only reading Hannah's and Garrett's at the time. So they were like, you just have to tape for this and like, trust us. They're gonna see you for Ally afterwards. And I was like, all right. So I did it and then they were right.

• 7:41Speaker 01

  They were right.

• 7:41Speaker 06

  They were right.

• 7:42Speaker 01

We love when the team's right.

• 7:43Speaker 06

I love when the team is right. And yeah, then I did like callbacks for Ally, chem read for Ally. And it all just like felt.

• 7:50Speaker 01

  Came together.

• 7:51Speaker 02

Yeah. How long was the process from like actual audition to like beginning of production? Was it like a pretty long time or?

• 7:56Speaker 06

I want to say first audition was like early February and then we started shooting end of May.

• 8:02Speaker 02

  That's pretty fast. That's great.

• 8:03Speaker 06

  What? You think that's fast?

• 8:05Speaker 01

  Anything being made these days.

• 8:07Speaker 06

Okay, okay. So like in my experience,

• 8:10Speaker 01

He retired from TV a while ago.

• 8:11Speaker 06

It's always been like I book something and then two weeks later I have to go shoot. So there was this really crazy period of time where I was like

• 8:17Speaker 01

  Now that's fast.

• 8:18Speaker 06

Yeah. I've had it before where I booked something in the next day.

• 8:21Speaker 01

  That's intense.

• 8:22Speaker 06

  Yeah.

• 8:23Speaker 01

What was that? What job was that?

• 8:24Speaker 06

It was, it was an American Girl doll movie when I was

• 8:27Speaker 02

Amazing. That's awesome. We have a lot of them in this house. Kevin, Kevin has that huge castle. I have like the multi-family house in the other room.

• 8:37Speaker 06

Perfect. Do you have the, the horse? I had the American Girl doll horse.

• 8:42Speaker 02

We did at one point and then the hair gave my daughter like a breakout like rash. And so we, we got rid of the horse.

• 8:49Speaker 06

  What was she doing?

• 8:51Speaker 02

  Just playing with it.

• 8:53Speaker 06

  Okay.

• 8:54Speaker 02

  Yeah.

• 8:57Speaker 06

  Sure.

• 8:57Speaker 01

You, speaking of horses, you ride horses, right?

• 9:00Speaker 06

I do, I do ride horses.

• 9:02Speaker 01

  Did you ride competitively?

• 9:03Speaker 06

  Um, you could say that.

• 9:05Speaker 01

Just, does that mean, you didn't say that meaning like you did that because

• 9:09Speaker 06

  Just you can say.

• 9:09Speaker 01

You ride faster than your friends?

• 9:11Speaker 02

  Just Nick can say that.

• 9:12Speaker 06

No, like, like this, like the barn I would ride at would like host

• 9:16Speaker 02

  Events.

• 9:16Speaker 06

  Shows. Yeah. And I would

• 9:18Speaker 02

  Cool.

• 9:18Speaker 06

Show there. But I never like traveled. I was supposed to travel one time for a show and then my horse went lame and had a problem. And so then I was riding like one of the other horses, like one of my trainer's horses and he was very different. Um, and I like, didn't fall off of him. No, I did fall off of him. Yeah.

• 9:38Speaker 01

  It's frightening.

• 9:39Speaker 06

It was frightening. Um, and I hurt myself. So I couldn't do it.

• 9:43Speaker 02

Nick also fell off a horse and hurt himself.

• 9:45Speaker 01

I've fallen off a horse twice.

• 9:47Speaker 06

  Tell me both stories.

• 9:50Speaker 01

Um, they're not that exciting. Both were on a set and basically there was a, a camera that moved into

• 9:54Speaker 02

What do you mean they're not exciting? This is crazy.

• 9:56Speaker 01

All right, I'll tell a story. If you want me to. On a production, I can't say which one because my attorneys told me not to. Um, they didn't actually. I was

• 10:06Speaker 01

  Okay, sure. It was.

• 10:07Speaker 02

  You didn't say it.

• 10:09Speaker 01

  Bleep it out.

• 10:10Speaker 00

Your lawyers didn't tell me not to say it.

• 10:11Speaker 01

That's true. You're right. Anyway, I'm on the set of this movie and the camera came in the way of the horse's eye line and it got spooked out and it reared up and threw me off. And I had these boots on that were not riding boots, but it was for the character and they were really thick. So like it basically got stuck in the.

• 10:28Speaker 00

  Versace boots.

• 10:29Speaker 01

It dragged me. Versace boots. It dragged me for like maybe 10 yards.

• 10:32Speaker 06

  That's crazy.

• 10:34Speaker 01

It was intense. And I was like, I don't really want to do this anymore.

• 10:37Speaker 06

  And that happened two times?

• 10:38Speaker 00

I don't want to be here anymore.

• 10:39Speaker 01

The other one was a different thing and it just reared up and I was riding the horse without a saddle for the scene and then I landed on the spine of the horse.

• 10:48Speaker 06

  Same movie?

• 10:49Speaker 01

Different movie. Let's get off this horse talk.

• 10:52Speaker 02

Let's get off the horse, guys.

• 10:53Speaker 01

Horse talk, the horse. So this is Nick Jonas.

• 10:56Speaker 02

  This is Kevin Jonas.

• 10:57Speaker 00

And Joe Jonas from Hey Jonas.

• 10:59Speaker 02

This episode is brought to you by State Farm.

• 11:01Speaker 01

You know that feeling when something fits just right? Your go-to jeans, your perfectly customized coffee order, a playlist that somehow knows exactly what song you need next? Personalization makes a difference and your insurance should be no different.

• 11:13Speaker 02

State Farm can help personalize coverage that fits your life and your budget because your insurance coverage should feel right for you.

• 11:20Speaker 00

Lucky good neighbor, State Farm is there. Hey Jonas is brought to you by Almond Breeze. It's time for some questions from the producers.

• 11:26Speaker 01

All right. Who started drinking Almond Breeze almond milk first?

• 11:28Speaker 02

Actually, I think that was you, Nick.

• 11:30Speaker 01

  I think it was.

• 11:30Speaker 02

Yeah, you're like, you know, guys, I tried this Almond Breeze in my coffee today.

• 11:34Speaker 01

Changed the game for me. All right. Who's the most likely to finish the last carton of Almond Breeze and not replace it?

• 11:39Speaker 00

  That was Kevin.

• 11:40Speaker 01

  Kevin, of course.

• 11:41Speaker 00

  Yeah.

• 11:41Speaker 02

  That's someone else's job.

• 11:43Speaker 00

  Take it, Kev.

• 11:43Speaker 01

What's the most random place you drank Almond Breeze?

• 11:46Speaker 00

The last time I visited the Empire State Building.

• 11:48Speaker 01

Ah, that's a random place for sure. I've noticed you guys really like Almond Breeze almond milk. Who has the most specific way of drinking it?

• 11:55Speaker 02

  Ooh.

• 11:56Speaker 00

Ooh. Kevin's, you know what I found very interesting is how you will drink a carton to yourself.

• 12:02Speaker 02

  Yeah, just draft it down.

• 12:03Speaker 00

And he usually does it before show.

• 12:05Speaker 02

Yeah, just really getting myself going.

• 12:07Speaker 00

He needs it on stage. Okay, last question. Why do you guys like Almond Breeze so much?

• 12:11Speaker 02

Oh, it just tastes great. It's a great alternative. It is great.

• 12:14Speaker 00

It's simply because it's really good.

• 12:16Speaker 01

True. Try Almond Breeze. Trust us. It's really good. You've probably heard that good things come in threes.

• 12:21Speaker 02

  No, I've never heard that.

• 12:22Speaker 00

  Kevin.

• 12:23Speaker 01

Yeah, you have. You've got bacon, lettuce, tomato, rock, paper, scissors. Joe, Nick, Kevin.

• 12:29Speaker 02

Yeah, and that is a good one.

• 12:30Speaker 00

Or because it's cold season, Kleenex lotion tissues.

• 12:34Speaker 02

There's no three in Kleenex tissues.

• 12:36Speaker 00

That's where you're wrong, Kev, my friend. Listen, Kleenex lotion tissues have three in one skin-loving benefits. It protects hands, soothes, and moisturizes your skin.

• 12:45Speaker 02

I never realized you were so into skincare, Joe.

• 12:48Speaker 01

Come on, who doesn't love to moisturize?

• 12:50Speaker 02

  You've got a good point.

• 12:52Speaker 00

Oh, and don't forget to tell them about the three thick layers made with coconut oil and aloe.

• 12:56Speaker 01

Wow, good things really do come in threes. For whatever happens next, grab Kleenex. You grew up in Dallas. You moved to LA when?

• 13:03Speaker 06

  Uh, 2017.

• 13:05Speaker 01

2017. You went to school out here?

• 13:07Speaker 06

  I went to UCLA.

• 13:08Speaker 01

What did you study at UCLA?

• 13:10Speaker 06

  Philosophy.

• 13:11Speaker 01

  Wow.

• 13:12Speaker 06

  Yeah.

• 13:12Speaker 02

  That's cool.

• 13:13Speaker 01

  That's amazing.

• 13:13Speaker 00

That comes in handy, I'm sure.

• 13:15Speaker 01

  Yeah.

• 13:15Speaker 06

  I get very philosophical.

• 13:17Speaker 01

  Do you?

• 13:18Speaker 02

  When you're acting?

• 13:18Speaker 00

Does it help with your character development while creating a?

• 13:20Speaker 06

But you know what? I think it does, you know?

• 13:23Speaker 02

  Definitely.

• 13:23Speaker 06

I think I've told myself that it does, but that might be like...

• 13:26Speaker 02

  I think it would.

• 13:27Speaker 06

  Just me justifying.

• 13:29Speaker 02

Break apart someone's, you know, thinking and character and goals and ideas?

• 13:33Speaker 06

  Yeah.

• 13:34Speaker 02

  Let's go with that.

• 13:35Speaker 06

I guess, yeah. I went to school originally for political science and that lasted truly like 20 minutes. And I was like, I can't do this anymore. And then I tried to get into the film school. I was shooting a movie at the time when like all the exams and stuff were happening. And I was trying to get extensions and stuff and they were like, no. I was like, okay, but here's like, I'm actually doing what we're trying to do. They were like, I don't care.

• 13:59Speaker 01

I'm literally doing the thing that I'm like asking you to help me with. They didn't like it. So I was like, fine. And it's led you to this moment now where you have this massive hit. How, like, it's not the right way to frame the question to say, how does it feel? But going from that phone call in February, you're on set by May, did you think, you know, the first week or two while you're on set, oh, this is going to be something that really connects and people are going to love these characters and fall in love with the world and... Or was it just a really fun job? It's always amazing to have a job, to have a gig to be doing. But, but to have one that becomes something that is, you know, blown up in the way it has?

• 14:34Speaker 06

Yeah, I think we always knew, just based on how, um...

Much like attention was being given to it already online. We always knew that it was going to be somewhat successful. We had literally no idea that it would become what it's become. And we were just having fun last year. Like, we truly, all of us are like the best of friends. And we were just hanging out in Vancouver for five months and having a great time and like

• 15:01Speaker 01

  That's awesome.

• 15:02Speaker 06

Kind of having our own little college experience.

• 15:06Speaker 06

And it was just great. And then, yeah, like, we went and did press and

• 15:11Speaker 06

we were just like, who knows? Like, who knows? This is gonna be so fun. Like, maybe we'll go back. And, and, yeah, and it's just been like so crazy. I feel like I haven't taken a breath.

• 15:19Speaker 01

Yeah, I'm sure. It's something like approaching 40 million views in the first like 12 days, which is completely insane.

• 15:26Speaker 06

Like, I don't even know what that means.

• 15:28Speaker 01

  It's huge. It's a lot.

• 15:29Speaker 06

  Yeah, yeah.

• 15:29Speaker 01

  It's a huge, huge show.

• 15:31Speaker 06

  That's what I've heard.

• 15:32Speaker 01

Just back to the castmates. You guys are genuinely close.

• 15:37Speaker 06

  We're genuinely so close.

• 15:38Speaker 01

What's the, what's the group chat called? If you can say, if it's allowed to be said on the, on the pod.

• 15:43Speaker 02

  It's a great question.

• 15:45Speaker 06

One of them is Off Campus Brazil, I think.

• 15:48Speaker 01

  Off Campus Brazil?

• 15:49Speaker 06

  Off Campus Brazil.

• 15:50Speaker 01

Okay, love it. Shout out Brazil.

• 15:51Speaker 06

  Shout out Brazil.

• 15:52Speaker 02

  Shout out Brazil.

• 15:54Speaker 06

And then the boys have their own group chat called Dean's Bitches.

• 16:01Speaker 01

  Nice.

• 16:01Speaker 06

That Stephen named. Stephen named that. Makes sense. And then Ella and Josh and I have the girls' group chat. It's called the girls'.

• 16:09Speaker 02

So the Brazil one, though, is that for when you guys were there doing press? Or was it just because?

• 16:15Speaker 06

It was just because. Brazil has always been like really into it.

• 16:18Speaker 01

  Into the show.

• 16:18Speaker 06

  Into the show.

• 16:19Speaker 02

Yeah. Come to Brazil, as they say.

• 16:22Speaker 06

Come to Brazil. And then we went to Brazil and then all of our DMs were like, no, no, no, no, no, come to Rio. Because we went to Sao Paulo. And I was like, okay, we can't get specific.

• 16:30Speaker 01

Yep. I actually think we were, we were in Sao Paulo around the same time.

• 16:35Speaker 06

  Oh my god.

• 16:36Speaker 01

We were just there on tour and I think we, we nearly crossed paths with the off-campus.

• 16:41Speaker 02

I think we did, you're right.

• 16:41Speaker 06

  Like ships in the night.

• 16:42Speaker 01

Chips in the night. And it's an incredibly passionate fanbase.

• 16:45Speaker 06

  It is.

• 16:46Speaker 01

It would make sense that, that they would gravitate towards something like this where there's a great romantic angle. There's obviously a lot of physical and emotional things happening as well. Um, I assume you've watched the whole series or have you, have you not?

• 16:58Speaker 06

  Oh yeah, I've seen it.

• 16:59Speaker 01

I'm, I'm working through it right now. I'm very excited. We just completed the first couple. Some steamy scenes in the show.

• 17:05Speaker 06

  Sure.

• 17:05Speaker 01

Obviously, but it seems like, given the nature of the fact that you guys are all friendly, it's a good environment on set, that it's like safe and everyone feels like they can just have fun and, and stay in the moment and be in the character.

• 17:15Speaker 06

Yeah. And also like, I don't know if you've worked with intimacy coordinators lately.

• 17:19Speaker 01

  Of course, yeah, very important.

• 17:19Speaker 06

But they're very like, it's a whole thing. There's like writers and contracts and stuff and, and they've been really great at like choreographing the fuck out of it.

• 17:29Speaker 01

  I love that.

• 17:30Speaker 06

It's been really awesome. Um, and they've just made us so comfortable. And yeah, honestly, like all of our intimacy stuff last season didn't really start happening until about halfway through. And so we had the chance to like build the rapport and the friendship and the trust and whatnot. And so it's never felt strange.

• 17:46Speaker 01

  That's great to hear.

• 17:46Speaker 06

  At all.

• 17:47Speaker 01

  We love intimacy coordinators.

• 17:48Speaker 06

  We do.

• 17:49Speaker 01

Shout out. Thank you for that.

• 17:50Speaker 02

  Shout out.

• 17:51Speaker 01

But season two is gonna focus more on, on Ally and Dean's relationship, is that right?

• 17:56Speaker 06

  That's right, yeah.

• 17:57Speaker 01

  Okay, that's very exciting.

• 17:58Speaker 02

The fans are very excited about this.

• 18:00Speaker 06

  I'm very excited about this.

• 18:02Speaker 01

Can you give us any insight?

• 18:03Speaker 02

You're probably not allowed. And that's okay.

• 18:05Speaker 06

I'm not allowed. My lawyer told me I'm not allowed.

• 18:06Speaker 02

  Great.

• 18:07Speaker 00

Just read the, read these, Nick.

• 18:09Speaker 06

  Yeah, just read the book.

• 18:10Speaker 00

  Read the book, bro.

• 18:11Speaker 01

It's built off of the book and, and kind of made into something.

• 18:14Speaker 06

Same, same as like season one, you know, season one didn't like exactly follow the books.

• 18:18Speaker 01

  Exactly.

• 18:18Speaker 06

So yeah, well, there's like some new stuff, some fun, some fun, new little things that we're adding in.

• 18:21Speaker 01

I'm sure as each of you have, have sort of really taken on these characters and gotten to know them even better over the course of the first season and the second, the writers are even crafting it more specifically to the way in which you're portraying these characters. And that's a fun thing to see kind of come to life as well.

• 18:34Speaker 06

And also like to us as the actors too, a lot of us are like very similar to our characters and in specific ways. And it's been really cool to see how they write our voices into the show and like our, our skills and like our things as people, which is really cool. Like, you know, getting to do a second season of a show and have the writers really know you is like

• 18:55Speaker 01

  Totally.

• 18:55Speaker 06

  So unique.

• 18:55Speaker 00

How do you, how do you feel like your character matches?

• 18:59Speaker 01

  Your personal, your personality.

• 19:00Speaker 06

My personality? I've been saying, Ally is just me when I've like, had the best day ever and maybe like, five Red Bulls. But like, generally, generally, we're very similar. Pure, just like, energy joy. It's like Christmas morning every day.

• 19:17Speaker 01

You ever had five Red Bulls?

• 19:18Speaker 06

I did. Oh, my God. Two days ago on set, I like, in the span of six hours, had a coffee, a cold brew, and two of like, the tall boy Red Bulls and a Sudafed.

• 19:28Speaker 01

  What?

• 19:29Speaker 02

  Oh, yeah.

• 19:29Speaker 06

Cause the allergies were getting me and I literally was like, I think I'm gonna die.

• 19:34Speaker 02

Yeah, that sounds intense. That's a whole journey you just went on.

• 19:37Speaker 06

Yeah, and that was like 2pm.

• 19:39Speaker 01

  Wow.

• 19:41Speaker 02

  Nice.

• 19:41Speaker 01

Were you like, jet lagging or something? Is that why you had to?

• 19:43Speaker 06

It was just the allergies and it was just like, an early day. We also did that thing where like, we started the week with early days and we ended the week with like, 11am pickups.

• 19:51Speaker 01

  Yeah.

• 19:52Speaker 02

  You know what I mean?

• 19:53Speaker 01

  The tall boy Red Bulls.

• 19:55Speaker 02

The Kuve was blooming. All the pollen everywhere.

• 19:57Speaker 06

  Exactly.

• 19:58Speaker 01

Kuve was blooming. I did find some great restaurants in Vancouver, in the Kuve.

• 20:03Speaker 02

We, we, we were there. We filmed the movie together last year.

• 20:06Speaker 01

It's the one that, right on the water that we love. Oh, well, we're kind of obsessed with Cactus Club.

• 20:12Speaker 06

  Yeah.

• 20:12Speaker 01

Isn't there like a famous Drake drink there?

• 20:15Speaker 02

It's that peach, that peach Bellini.

• 20:17Speaker 06

Oh, the peach Bellini. That's Drake?

• 20:19Speaker 02

Well, he talks about it. He likes it a lot.

• 20:22Speaker 01

Look at this, we have a small Red Bull for you.

• 20:23Speaker 06

Oh, my God. Wait, did you see the fear in my eyes?

• 20:26Speaker 02

  She's like, no, not again.

• 20:28Speaker 01

Oh, yeah, we have five Red Bulls and two Sudafeds today for you.

• 20:32Speaker 06

  Let's see what happens.

• 20:33Speaker 01

  Get the party started.

• 20:35Speaker 06

Just got off a flight. Perfect time.

• 20:37Speaker 01

So you mentioned that you're, you're similar to your character Ally in some ways. Is, is there a, like a, a person in your life who, who sort of embodies some of the characteristics that Hannah has, where you have that same kind of connection?

• 20:46Speaker 06

Well, okay, so, when I was doing the, the Hannah Ally work, I, weirdly, was, um, I'm like the, the Hannah to one of my best friends, Kiara. She's just like so full of life and has so much energy and has this like insane balance of being like, the hype man and also like the person that you want to talk to when you're going through something. Um. So that like I'm the Hannah in most of my friendships and relationships.

• 21:17Speaker 01

  Love that.

• 21:18Speaker 06

  Yeah.

• 21:19Speaker 01

Have you known Kiara for a long time?

• 21:21Speaker 06

I've known Kiara since I moved here.

• 21:23Speaker 01

  Since you moved to LA?

• 21:24Speaker 06

Since I moved to LA, yeah.

• 21:25Speaker 01

Was it tough moving from Dallas and having that friend group there, I'm sure, and your childhood and teens? And then getting to LA and sort of like kind of starting over essentially, new, new career path and friends and?

• 21:35Speaker 06

Um, I had just finished shooting a kid's show, um, also in the Kuve.

• 21:41Speaker 01

Is it the American Girl doll?

• 21:44Speaker 06

No, it was called Project MC squared.

• 21:46Speaker 01

  Oh, nice.

• 21:46Speaker 06

And we did two seasons, three seasons, actually. A lot of those girls lived in LA. And so when I moved here and then like a lot of the people that like worked on the, on the show also lived here. And they became very familial and uh, kind of like took me in. Like I would stay with them, stay at their homes when I was like homesick and scared. So no, it really wasn't a huge adjustment and I had already been flying back and forth between here and Dallas so much as a child. But it was like, really not a big deal at all.

• 22:15Speaker 01

  That's so nice. It's great.

• 22:16Speaker 06

  Yeah.

• 22:16Speaker 01

It can be a, be a wild thing to, to not only move states, but then to, to be jumping into a new career path. And to have that, you know, balance from those, those folks that you worked up with in Vancouver is so, so nice.

• 22:28Speaker 06

  Yeah.

• 22:28Speaker 01

You live in LA now? Or Vancouver, I guess, for a lot of the year?

• 22:33Speaker 06

I don't actually live anywhere right now.

• 22:36Speaker 01

  That's such an amazing thing.

• 22:37Speaker 06

  Isn't that awesome?

• 22:38Speaker 02

Is there a place that you would be like, cool, now that I don't have to be anywhere you want to be for like some time other than the Kuve?

• 22:44Speaker 06

I would love to move to London.

• 22:45Speaker 01

  London.

• 22:46Speaker 06

I would love to move to Rio.

• 22:47Speaker 02

  Rio.

• 22:48Speaker 06

  Shout out Brazil.

• 22:49Speaker 01

  Shout out Brazil.

• 22:50Speaker 02

  In London, you said?

• 22:51Speaker 06

Yeah, I would love to move to London, um, or New York, which seems more feasible.

• 22:58Speaker 01

  Both great towns.

• 22:59Speaker 02

What do you love about London?

• 23:00Speaker 06

What don't I love about London? I love that you're close to every other European city and you're close to everything. And I love that it feels like New York in places, but also not.

• 23:11Speaker 00

It does. It also, right this, this time of year, this, I mean, it's not, it's nine 44 in London right now, PM. And the sun is still up or it's just going down.

• 23:19Speaker 06

Crazy. But that means in the winter, it's like terrible.

• 23:23Speaker 00

The winters, yeah, winters are kind of rough.

• 23:24Speaker 01

  Kind of depressing.

• 23:25Speaker 02

  Kind of tough.

• 23:26Speaker 00

January, this, this January was tough. It was about three weeks of rain.

• 23:31Speaker 01

  It happens.

• 23:32Speaker 06

  It's fine.

• 23:33Speaker 01

That's why we get all those amazing Brit rock bands because they can be sad and they write good songs.

• 23:38Speaker 06

  Sad in a way.

• 23:40Speaker 01

  They get oasis, you know.

• 23:41Speaker 06

Or is that a 19 year old Ella thing?

• 23:44Speaker 01

  What is spoons?

• 23:45Speaker 02

  Witherspoons.

• 23:46Speaker 01

Witherspoons, chef. Oh, Witherspoons. Yeah. Oh, yeah. What is that?

• 23:51Speaker 06

It's like the, the less nice cactus club of.

• 23:56Speaker 02

It's like a Waffle House of, remember we went through this whole thing when we did all that press there? They were talking about it.

• 24:01Speaker 01

  I remember this.

• 24:02Speaker 02

  It's like, it's like a diner, but it's like, it's good.

• 24:05Speaker 06

But it's also kind of a bar.

• 24:07Speaker 02

  Yeah.

• 24:07Speaker 01

It's kind of like a bar.

• 24:08Speaker 02

Everything in London is a bar.

• 24:10Speaker 06

But Witherspoons does like, like five pound, um, like these nasty like drinks. I don't know. How would you just, it's like flavored.

• 24:21Speaker 01

It's, uh, it's like Red Bull and Zutifed and then you.

• 24:23Speaker 06

Like, like legit though. And it's like, and they can give it to you in a little pitcher. It's, it's disgusting, but it's amazing.

• 24:29Speaker 01

Disgusting and fun at the same time.

• 24:31Speaker 02

  Same time we're there.

• 24:31Speaker 06

  Exactly.

• 24:32Speaker 01

Makes those rainy days a little less sad. So obviously with the success of a show like this, there's, there's a lot of interest in personal life and, and you know, various stages in our life and career, we've, we've kind of gone through that and it's an interesting thing to navigate. How's it been last couple of weeks, months of navigating that aspect of, you know, the, amazing part of, of getting to do what we all do is that you have these amazing opportunities, but it does come with some extra interest in these areas of your life. How's that been to navigate?

• 25:01Speaker 06

Um, I think for all of us, it's just been really interesting. It's something that like you think you understand, but you don't until you're experiencing it and really understanding that like people will find you on the street or like find your parents' Facebook pages or like, it's been strange, but I mean, Amazon's been really supportive and helpful.

• 25:23Speaker 01

  Yeah.

• 25:24Speaker 06

  So it's.

• 25:25Speaker 01

  We love Amazon.

• 25:25Speaker 06

  Yeah, we, shout out Amazon.

• 25:28Speaker 01

And, and your friend group and stuff, K R being one of them, sure.

• 25:30Speaker 06

  K R.

• 25:31Speaker 01

And, and also the cast members, you're all going through at the same time, kind of it's.

• 25:34Speaker 06

And that's what I'm so grateful for. I can't imagine being in this situation without like six other people that are going through the exact same thing.

• 25:40Speaker 01

  Yeah.

• 25:40Speaker 06

You know what I mean? Like that would.

• 25:41Speaker 02

  Rock ship for everybody.

• 25:42Speaker 01

  And three group texts.

• 25:44Speaker 06

Yeah. That we can just cycle through when someone's being annoying.

• 25:47Speaker 01

Oh, it's true. I can do that.

• 25:49Speaker 02

We have that within our family.

• 25:50Speaker 06

Yeah. There's just two of you carrying off on each other.

• 25:53Speaker 02

  It's just texting.

• 25:54Speaker 01

You guys have a group chat?

• 25:56Speaker 00

Yeah, that's just me texting Nick about you or me texting Kevin about Nick, you know.

• 26:01Speaker 01

We do this with all the guests. We have this little eight ball of questions that have nothing to do with anything necessarily. It's just kind of random. We'd love for you to pick one or two if you'd like. Fire away.

• 26:09Speaker 06

  Let's see.

• 26:10Speaker 01

  Fire away, fire away.

• 26:13Speaker 06

What's your favorite nickname you've been given? I don't know.

• 26:16Speaker 00

  So far.

• 26:17Speaker 01

  It's an odd nickname.

• 26:18Speaker 06

Yeah, that's my favorite. My mom calls me, I don't know.

• 26:22Speaker 00

Hey, I don't know. Get over here.

• 26:25Speaker 01

  It's a great nickname.

• 26:26Speaker 06

I don't really, I mean, my name is a nickname. My real name is Michaela.

• 26:30Speaker 00

  Michaela, oh.

• 26:31Speaker 06

So Mika is my favorite nickname I've been given. Easy.

• 26:35Speaker 01

There you go. Technically, my real name's Nicholas.

• 26:37Speaker 06

Right. How'd they get to Nick?

• 26:40Speaker 01

  It's a shortcut.

• 26:43Speaker 01

My daughter's four and she's, it's really confusing to her why, she's like, why are you called Nick if your name's Nicholas? And trying to explain to a four-year-old that is

• 26:52Speaker 06

  The concept of a nickname?

• 26:52Speaker 01

Somehow really difficult. I just said, they just

• 26:54Speaker 06

  Literal nickname.

• 26:55Speaker 01

Yeah, they just wanted to make it shorter. She goes, but why? I don't know. That's what it is.

• 27:00Speaker 06

  That's so cute.

• 27:01Speaker 00

I was in the fourth grade. The coolest kid in school came up. We just, we moved from Texas to New Jersey. And the cool kid in school, I thought he was the cool kid in school, came up to me and said, what's your name? I said, Joe. He's like, oh, no, there's too many Joes. Okay. He's like, we're gonna have to change that. And I was like, okay. He's like, what's your last name? I was like, Jonas. He's like, Joe Jonas, JJ Jonas, JJ Jonas is your name. And not until like months later did, I believe, a teacher called our parents. Said, hey, I would love to talk about JJ. And they're like, who is that? Like your son JJ? We're like, we don't have a JJ in this house. And they're like, do you go by JJ in school? I'm like, yeah. Anyway, carry on, please.

• 27:42Speaker 06

  That's crazy. Also, that's just, that's more J's.

• 27:47Speaker 00

Yeah. Which I would think is counterintuitive.

• 27:49Speaker 06

  That doesn't make any sense.

• 27:50Speaker 00

And then the kid, then there's the bully that pushed me into the locker and he said, JJ Jonas, and they'd throw me into the locker.

• 27:54Speaker 01

  This is Nick Jonas.

• 27:56Speaker 02

  This is Kevin Jonas.

• 27:56Speaker 00

And Joe Jonas from Hey Jonas. This episode is brought to you by State Farm.

• 28:01Speaker 02

There's something satisfying about getting something that fits you perfectly.

• 28:04Speaker 01

  Like child-sized fuzzy socks?

• 28:06Speaker 02

I was thinking more like a horror movie subscription, but sure.

• 28:08Speaker 01

  Like child-sized fuzzy socks?

• 28:10Speaker 00

And that's the point. When something is personalized for you, it fits differently. State Farm can help you personalize coverage to fit your life and budget.

• 28:17Speaker 01

So basically, child-sized fuzzy socks level fit?

• 28:20Speaker 00

  You said it, not me.

• 28:21Speaker 02

Like a good neighbor, State Farm is there.

• 28:23Speaker 00

Hey Jonas is brought to you by Almond Breeze. It's time for some questions from the producers.

• 28:27Speaker 01

All right. Who started drinking Almond Breeze almond milk first?

• 28:30Speaker 02

Actually, I think that was you, Nick.

• 28:31Speaker 00

  I think it was.

• 28:32Speaker 02

Yeah, you're like, you know, guys, I tried this almond breeze in my coffee today.

• 28:35Speaker 00

  Changed the game for me.

• 28:37Speaker 01

All right, who's the most likely to finish the last carton of almond breeze and not replace it?

• 28:41Speaker 00

  That's Kevin.

• 28:41Speaker 01

  Kevin, of course.

• 28:42Speaker 00

  Yeah.

• 28:43Speaker 02

  That's someone else's job.

• 28:44Speaker 00

  Take it, Kev.

• 28:44Speaker 01

What's the most random place you drank almond breeze?

• 28:47Speaker 00

The last time I visited the Empire State Building.

• 28:49Speaker 01

Ah, that's a random place for sure. I've noticed you guys really like almond breeze almond milk. Who has the most specific way of drinking it?

• 28:56Speaker 02

  Ooh.

• 28:57Speaker 00

Ooh. Um, Kevin's, you know what I've found very interesting is how you will drink a carton to yourself.

• 29:03Speaker 02

Yeah, just straight up the dome.

• 29:04Speaker 00

And he usually does it before show.

• 29:06Speaker 02

Yeah, just really getting myself going.

• 29:08Speaker 00

  He needs it on stage.

• 29:10Speaker 01

Okay, last question. Why do you guys like almond breeze so much?

• 29:12Speaker 02

Oh, it just tastes great. It's a great alternative.

• 29:15Speaker 01

  It is great.

• 29:15Speaker 00

It's simply because it's really good.

• 29:17Speaker 01

True. Try almond breeze. Trust us, it's really good. You've probably heard that good things come in threes.

• 29:22Speaker 02

  No, I've never heard that.

• 29:23Speaker 00

Kevin. Yeah, you have. You've got bacon, lettuce, tomato, rock, paper, scissors.

• 29:28Speaker 01

  Joe, Nick, Kevin.

• 29:30Speaker 02

Yeah, and that is a good one.

• 29:31Speaker 00

Or because it's cold season, Kleenex lotion tissues.

• 29:35Speaker 02

There's no three in Kleenex tissues.

• 29:37Speaker 00

That's where you're wrong, Kev, my friend. Listen, Kleenex lotion tissues have three-in-one skin-loving benefits. It protects hands, soothes, and moisturizes your skin.

• 29:46Speaker 02

I never realized you- We're so into skincare, Joe.

• 29:49Speaker 01

Come on, who doesn't love to moisturize?

• 29:51Speaker 02

  You've got a good point.

• 29:53Speaker 00

Oh, and don't forget to tell them about the three thick layers made with coconut oil and aloe.

• 29:57Speaker 01

Wow, good things really do come in threes.

• 29:59Speaker 00

For whatever happens next, grab Kleenex.

• 30:02Speaker 01

  Would you like another?

• 30:02Speaker 06

Yeah, I'll take another one. My question is, when's the last time you borrowed something from your neighbor? Makes me so sad. I just moved out of LA like a month, two ago. Well, I don't know, whenever I went to Vancouver and my neighbor, Mimi, Mimi and Mark, they were like my grandparents. They were amazing. And she is Persian and she would just make, her and her entire family would just like make me food.

• 30:27Speaker 01

  Oh, that's amazing. So awesome.

• 30:29Speaker 06

All the time. Cause I'd walk by and I'd smell it cooking and I'd be like, Mimi, that smells really good. And then her sister would come over with like a plate.

• 30:36Speaker 01

I'd walk by and be like, hey, I'm not saying, but if you wanted to.

• 30:39Speaker 06

I was like, what are you cooking in there? Oh, that's amazing.

• 30:42Speaker 01

  What is that smell?

• 30:43Speaker 06

  What is that?

• 30:44Speaker 01

  Love that.

• 30:45Speaker 06

  I miss her so much.

• 30:46Speaker 01

Shout out, with a lot of shout outs today.

• 30:48Speaker 06

Shout out Mimi, shout out Mark.

• 30:49Speaker 01

We have some voicemails from some people that have some questions for you.

• 30:51Speaker 06

  Oh, my God.

• 30:52Speaker 07

Hi, this is Bailey and I am from Georgia. So I need a little bit of advice dating this guy for like three years. And some stuff went down. I didn't have a lot of self-respect for like the last year of our relationship. And I was putting up with stuff that I really shouldn't have. And so now I'm about five weeks no contact. And I want to pull my hair out. So I need a little bit of advice of how to get over somebody. This is my first and only relationship, especially like long-term. So yeah, thanks, guys.

• 31:29Speaker 01

  Okay.

• 31:29Speaker 02

  Oh, we.

• 31:30Speaker 06

  Wow.

• 31:31Speaker 01

These questions are just, you know, life advice, because we're definitely qualified to.

• 31:35Speaker 06

  So qualified.

• 31:36Speaker 02

This kind of goes in line, this kind of goes in line with your character.

• 31:40Speaker 06

Exactly. This is, this is Ally's story.

• 31:43Speaker 02

  This is Ally's story.

• 31:44Speaker 06

Well, you know, Ally was a serial breaker of no contact until she wasn't.

• 31:51Speaker 01

  Yeah.

• 31:52Speaker 06

And then look at what happened. So I think in following Ally's. Advice that I'm sure she would give would be don't, don't break the no contact.

• 32:02Speaker 02

  Yeah.

• 32:03Speaker 06

  And eventually you'll be fine.

• 32:05Speaker 02

  Starts with a X.

• 32:06Speaker 06

  That's what I'd say.

• 32:07Speaker 01

That's what, you say, and Ally or that?

• 32:09Speaker 06

That's what I like. Sorry, I'm still on the character. I just.

• 32:14Speaker 02

  She's a method.

• 32:15Speaker 06

  That's what Ally would say.

• 32:16Speaker 01

  Yeah.

• 32:17Speaker 06

  I think.

• 32:18Speaker 01

  Yeah. Okay.

• 32:19Speaker 02

  I think that's great.

• 32:20Speaker 01

  Good advice.

• 32:21Speaker 02

  Fantastic.

• 32:22Speaker 01

Now we have one from an anonymous caller.

• 32:24Speaker 03

What does it really mean if a guy doesn't make the first move, but like says he likes you, but doesn't touch you or tell you you're pretty that much? Does he really like you or is that a red flag? Thank you.

• 32:40Speaker 06

  Boys.

• 32:40Speaker 01

I feel like I'm qualified to answer this because my wife and I had our, our, our first kind of meeting back in.

• 32:50Speaker 02

  Meeting?

• 32:51Speaker 06

  Meeting.

• 32:51Speaker 02

Twenty seventeen. They sat around a board.

• 32:53Speaker 01

First, okay, listen, we had our first time that we hung out. It wasn't a date. It was just like we met up and had a drink and just kind of met and.

• 33:00Speaker 06

  Went on a date.

• 33:01Speaker 02

At the end of the night. This is pre the date I was on.

• 33:04Speaker 01

Yeah, this is the first time we met.

• 33:05Speaker 02

  Okay.

• 33:06Speaker 01

  Not a date. Okay.

• 33:08Speaker 06

Was I there? Were you on our first date?

• 33:10Speaker 01

Came on our first official date as, as a.

• 33:12Speaker 02

As a great. Pressure, pressure, pressure.

• 33:15Speaker 06

  Okay, okay, okay.

• 33:15Speaker 01

Actually, let's go to chaperone. That's good.

• 33:19Speaker 01

The night ended and I, you know, bring her back home and, and we have a drink there to finish and.

• 33:24Speaker 06

As you do after a meeting.

• 33:25Speaker 01

After a meeting, yeah. And then I, I gave her a hug at the end of the night and said, it was great. It was, this was a really nice night. Just give her a hug. There's no kiss. There's nothing.

• 33:32Speaker 06

  Okay.

• 33:32Speaker 01

And she was, you know, a year later when we actually started dating, then very quickly got engaged and then married. She's like, what was that about? Like, why didn't you make a move of any kind? Exactly.

• 33:41Speaker 06

  Exactly.

• 33:42Speaker 01

And I was like, well, I, I just, I wanted it to be the right moment for that.

• 33:46Speaker 02

I wanted to keep things professional.

• 33:50Speaker 02

  I didn't have a chaperone.

• 33:51Speaker 01

So I think in summary, everybody, it's possible that he's just waiting for the right moment, wants to make sure that everybody's like on board with the thing and that it, that we're all feeling the same way, right?

• 34:03Speaker 06

He's just being a perfect gentleman.

• 34:04Speaker 01

Perfect gentleman. Yes. But also there was another factor where my now wife's mother was asleep in the other room. I kind of felt like.

• 34:13Speaker 06

  It's not the time.

• 34:14Speaker 01

It's not the time. She was just out in the living room watching SVU and now she's in bed. It's kind of.

• 34:19Speaker 02

  Or is it?

• 34:20Speaker 06

  Perfect time.

• 34:22Speaker 02

I'm looking at my sound effects.

• 34:24Speaker 06

Oh, you're in charge of the sound effects?

• 34:26Speaker 00

Yeah, he's got a whole thing.

• 34:27Speaker 06

  Oh, God.

• 34:28Speaker 01

So that's my hot take there, but I could be wrong.

• 34:32Speaker 00

  What if he's just nervous?

• 34:34Speaker 01

He could be nervous, or he could think it's a professional setting.

• 34:37Speaker 06

Or he's just being strictly professional.

• 34:42Speaker 06

Is it a meeting or a date?

• 34:44Speaker 01

I'll circle back once we've had time to review the, uh, I don't know.

• 34:47Speaker 00

  I'm your mailman.

• 34:50Speaker 01

All right, we have one more voicemail. This one's from Morgan.

• 34:54Speaker 07

Hello, my name is Morgan and I am moving in with my boyfriend for the first time ever. What is one piece of advice that you have for living with a guy? Thank you.

• 35:09Speaker 06

A hush fall over the room.

• 35:14Speaker 06

  It depends on the boy.

• 35:15Speaker 01

Get the farts out of the way quick.

• 35:17Speaker 06

  Yeah.

• 35:18Speaker 01

Everybody, everybody walk in the door and let one loose.

• 35:21Speaker 06

  I don't know.

• 35:22Speaker 01

  Oh, that's your advice about?

• 35:24Speaker 06

  About her, for her?

• 35:25Speaker 01

Both, both of them should just be like, all right, on the count of three, we're gonna.

• 35:29Speaker 06

  We're gonna break this seal.

• 35:30Speaker 01

We're gonna fiber up and we're gonna sit in the living room until one of us.

• 35:34Speaker 06

  It can happen.

• 35:35Speaker 01

Rips one and then we're gonna look at each other and be like, all right, now we can live together.

• 35:38Speaker 00

  That's over.

• 35:39Speaker 01

No more sneaking around trying to hide your farts.

• 35:42Speaker 06

  No more.

• 35:43Speaker 01

  No more.

• 35:45Speaker 06

I mean, I don't know. Is it not the same as just living with a regular roommate?

• 35:51Speaker 01

I think the only thing would be the temperature of the rooms.

• 35:54Speaker 06

Cause you guys like the rooms very.

• 35:56Speaker 01

Disgust. Well, I feel like a dialogue beforehand, just to set.

• 35:59Speaker 06

  Temperature of the room?

• 36:01Speaker 01

Nick likes to sleep in what you call, um, the Antarctic.

• 36:05Speaker 00

  Yes, same.

• 36:06Speaker 06

  Us or you guys?

• 36:07Speaker 01

  Nick does. I do.

• 36:08Speaker 00

Nick Jonas likes to sleep in Antarctica, which means he, he likes a cool, maybe, maybe close to 60 degrees.

• 36:15Speaker 01

We can come, we could, the temperature can, you can meet in the middle if that, if the person you're moving in with, Morgan likes it warm in the room and you like it cold.

• 36:23Speaker 06

Then you guys meet at a good like 74.

• 36:26Speaker 01

  Yeah.

• 36:27Speaker 00

  74 is way too hot.

• 36:29Speaker 01

  Diabolical. Um, but yeah, essentially.

• 36:35Speaker 01

  And then also.

• 36:37Speaker 00

  74.

• 36:37Speaker 02

  Sleeping as hell.

• 36:38Speaker 01

Well, say, say the person likes to sleep at seventy eight and you're a seventy person seventy four would would be.

• 36:44Speaker 06

  That's a perfect.

• 36:45Speaker 01

  Is correct.

• 36:46Speaker 00

  Not gonna work out.

• 36:47Speaker 06

What if there's a shoes off in the house differential? Has anyone experienced that before?

• 36:51Speaker 01

Or a cats and dogs situation?

• 36:52Speaker 00

I'm shoes off in here, in here. I'm shoes off in, in, at this place.

• 36:57Speaker 06

  That's awesome.

• 36:58Speaker 01

Thank you. What's your take on that?

• 37:01Speaker 06

  I'm shoes off.

• 37:02Speaker 01

  Shoes off. At the door.

• 37:03Speaker 06

  At the door.

• 37:04Speaker 01

  Yeah.

• 37:04Speaker 00

  The door.

• 37:05Speaker 06

I'm a house slippers wearer, though. I don't like to be barefoot.

• 37:09Speaker 02

I agree with the non barefoot.

• 37:10Speaker 06

  Unless I'm outside.

• 37:11Speaker 02

  Slipper.

• 37:12Speaker 06

  I'll be barefoot outside.

• 37:13Speaker 01

  That makes sense.

• 37:15Speaker 06

Not in the, in the house.

• 37:16Speaker 01

Yeah, I, I feel that. I mean, I could go either way. But I, I agree. I think shoes off at the door is a, is a good policy.

• 37:24Speaker 06

  Okay.

• 37:24Speaker 01

  Yep.

• 37:25Speaker 02

You know, they're gonna be a good friend if they show up for the first time. Like, is this a shoes on? Shoes on?

• 37:29Speaker 06

  Can I take my?

• 37:29Speaker 02

Do you want? They, they ask, they know.

• 37:31Speaker 06

How about when someone comes to your house and they put their fucking shoes on your couch?

• 37:35Speaker 01

Oh, that's not, we're not doing that.

• 37:37Speaker 02

Those people are no longer friends.

• 37:39Speaker 06

  Literally.

• 37:40Speaker 01

Yeah. Yeah, that's a no go. Sorry, now that we're on the topic of this thing, that, the coaster, non coaster. How do you, how do you offer a coaster politely as a host? This is so, sorry, Morgan, you're, we all think you should have a conversation and, and good luck to you.

• 37:55Speaker 06

  Yeah.

• 37:58Speaker 01

  We, we digress.

• 37:59Speaker 06

  We've moved on.

• 37:59Speaker 01

Um, fart, fart it out. Serious question for the class here. First of all, coaster, non coaster, people, your prerogative, but if you are, say you have a, how do you, with a guest politely, just offer it up without seeming rude? We're just sliding the, cause that's like an SNL character, the, the coaster guy who just slides this, you know, it's invasive.

• 38:16Speaker 00

  Sure.

• 38:17Speaker 01

But how do you do it gracefully?

• 38:18Speaker 06

I think you just pick up the coaster and you go, oh, here you go.

• 38:21Speaker 00

Yeah, you gotta make it obvious.

• 38:23Speaker 01

  You gotta tell them.

• 38:24Speaker 00

  Another one.

• 38:25Speaker 06

Oh, you're like, oh, I know you were looking for this, so here.

• 38:28Speaker 01

Oh, that's good. I love that.

• 38:29Speaker 02

  You might have forgotten.

• 38:30Speaker 06

Yeah, like, oh, this is where the coaster is here.

• 38:32Speaker 00

  It's a good idea.

• 38:33Speaker 01

You don't know where they are.

• 38:34Speaker 00

  That's smart. For Christmas.

• 38:36Speaker 01

Christmas coaster. Christmas coaster. That's a good idea, too.

• 38:40Speaker 06

What other problems do you need solved?

• 38:42Speaker 01

I think we, I think we covered a lot of ground today. And I'm, you know, I'm shocked that, that we got to coasters. Honestly, I didn't expect us to get there, but it, I expected it.

• 38:51Speaker 06

Yeah, I knew that was coming.

• 38:52Speaker 01

Double Red Bull to Sudafed segue to coaster.

• 38:56Speaker 06

And the Red Bull like looming over the room.

• 38:58Speaker 01

It is. Before we wrap up, question for you, you go back to set today or tomorrow?

• 39:02Speaker 06

  No, could you imagine?

• 39:04Speaker 01

  Yeah, I, I mean.

• 39:06Speaker 06

  Could you imagine?

• 39:07Speaker 01

  Enjoy L.A.

• 39:07Speaker 06

I'm going to. The weather is really good here.

• 39:10Speaker 01

It is very nice at the moment. Hope you enjoy your time back here in L.A.

• 39:13Speaker 06

  Thanks.

• 39:13Speaker 01

And maybe you can drop by and grab a meal from Mimi and Mark.

• 39:17Speaker 06

Oh my God, I actually am going to go visit them.

• 39:19Speaker 01

  Oh, you should.

• 39:19Speaker 06

  It's a great idea.

• 39:20Speaker 01

Next stop. Congratulations on all the success of the show.

• 39:22Speaker 06

  Thank you.

• 39:23Speaker 01

And I hope season two goes incredibly well. And everyone go watch Off Campus on, not that you probably, you probably already have.

• 39:30Speaker 02

Watch it for the second time because I have to finish it and make Danielle watch it again. So here we go.

• 39:35Speaker 01

  Thanks for joining us.

• 39:36Speaker 06

  Yeah, thanks for having me.

• 39:37Speaker 01

  Thank you so much.

• 39:38Speaker 02

  Thank you so much.

• 39:38Speaker 01

  Bye. Bye bye.
