• 0:19Mae Martin?

Welcome to the prettiest, littlest episode with your prettiest little hosts. I'm Mae Martin.

• 0:25Fortune Feimster?

And I'm Fortune and Preepser. This is the Handsome Pods. Pretty little episode.

• 0:30Mae Martin?

Yes, it is. How are you?

• 0:31Fortune Feimster?

Yeah. I am coming back down to life. I have been in Europe for the last couple of weeks. We'll probably talk about it when all the details, when we all are together again, but it was really fun.

• 0:43Mae Martin?

  Are you jet lagged?

• 0:44Fortune Feimster?

  I'm so tired.

• 0:46Mae Martin?

It's so crazy what it does to your body. It makes you feel like you're on the moon.

• 0:50Fortune Feimster?

Yeah, I was like, I don't know that I could have done any more city. I did six countries, seven shows, and I don't think I could have done any more than that. I could not get on a sleep schedule.

• 1:02Mae Martin?

  Yeah.

• 1:03Fortune Feimster?

It messed me up. It was, you know, because from LA, it's a nine hour time difference and we're in Scandinavian countries and eight in London, I believe. And every night I was like, I'm gonna go to bed, I'm gonna get my eight hours. And every night I stared into space.

• 1:21Mae Martin?

  Yeah.

• 1:21Fortune Feimster?

And I averaged like five hours a night. I was so tired.

• 1:26Mae Martin?

God, I want to, but I can't wait to hear all about it.

• 1:29Fortune Feimster?

  Yeah, it was fun.

• 1:30Mae Martin?

  The shows were good?

• 1:32Fortune Feimster?

I definitely have some fun stories for y'all about my mom.

• 1:34Mae Martin?

  Oh, great, great.

• 1:36Fortune Feimster?

Yeah, the shows were awesome. A lot of handsome listeners in every audience.

• 1:41Mae Martin?

  Hell, yeah, there are.

• 1:42Fortune Feimster?

And so that was really cool. Like, I said something about a ghost at one point and a bunch of people were like, yeah, ghosts.

• 1:51Fortune Feimster?

And then, yeah, a lot of people just in the airport in Dublin, someone yelled, keep it handsome.

• 1:58Mae Martin?

  Oh, really?

• 1:59Fortune Feimster?

  Yeah, really cool.

• 2:00Mae Martin?

Did they yell it like, keep it handsome?

• 2:02Fortune Feimster?

  Keep it handsome.

• 2:04Mae Martin?

  Keep it handsome.

• 2:05Fortune Feimster?

Oh, watch out, you keep it handsome.

• 2:07Mae Martin?

  I love Ireland.

• 2:09Fortune Feimster?

So, yeah, it was fun to like, go to other countries. And, you know, you've experienced this, having lived in London and just being like, man, that's crazy that your comedy goes all these places.

• 2:20Mae Martin?

I know. And also with England, I'm always surprised, like, I get culture shock and I'm like, oh yeah, I forgot it's a totally different culture.

• 2:29Fortune Feimster?

  Yeah.

• 2:29Mae Martin?

Everything is slightly different, which I, which I like.

• 2:32Fortune Feimster?

Well, it's funny, like London was my biggest of the shows and the quietest of the audiences.

• 2:38Mae Martin?

  Really?

• 2:39Fortune Feimster?

Uh huh. Like, yeah, they were into it, but I, they were, it seemed like they were into it, very polite listening, but just like, kind of like, we're, we're here for the ride. Like, yeah, it was funny. But then like Dublin was like, as expected, so rowdy.

• 2:54Mae Martin?

  Yeah.

• 2:54Fortune Feimster?

They're like, come to the pub with us after.

• 2:57Mae Martin?

  Oh, I love that. Yeah.

• 2:59Fortune Feimster?

But I was boring. I didn't do any of that stuff.

• 3:01Mae Martin?

Oh yeah. Well, you were with Ginge.

• 3:03Fortune Feimster?

  True.

• 3:04Mae Martin?

Um, I, my only news is that, well, my big news is like, I cut my, I cut a lot of my hair off late at night.

• 3:11Fortune Feimster?

  Oh.

• 3:11Mae Martin?

You can't really tell, but it is significantly shorter.

• 3:14Fortune Feimster?

So it's making you do this a lot right now?

• 3:16Mae Martin?

  Oh yeah, always fixing it.

• 3:17Fortune Feimster?

That's your favorite thing to do?

• 3:19Mae Martin?

That, you know, when I was filming Wayward, Toni Collette said, fucking stop touching your hair. And in a nice way, and, but pretty much like that.

• 3:29Fortune Feimster?

  She's sassy.

• 3:30Mae Martin?

  She's sassy. And I was like, I actually don't think I can't stop touching it. Like it's a, it's definitely.

• 3:36Fortune Feimster?

It's like an OCD thing, maybe?

• 3:37Mae Martin?

  Maybe, maybe.

• 3:39Fortune Feimster?

I do that with my, um, fingers. I have a, I have a touch of OCD and it's not in the way that's like, you know, repetitive, but I, I think this is called, um, what is this called? Stemming, yeah.

• 3:52Mae Martin?

  Yeah.

• 3:52Fortune Feimster?

I have this situation and I can't, I'm always doing this with my nails. And then if I have, mine comes out in like weird details, like say like I'm getting a TV hung on the wall.

• 4:05Mae Martin?

  Yeah.

• 4:05Fortune Feimster?

If it is even like an inch too high or short, I can't not fix it on it.

• 4:13Mae Martin?

  Really?

• 4:14Fortune Feimster?

And I will stare at it and wish it to be different.

• 4:19Mae Martin?

  Yeah.

• 4:20Fortune Feimster?

And like, I'll send, take pictures, I'll send it to people. Do you think this is too high?

• 4:24Mae Martin?

  Oh my God.

• 4:25Fortune Feimster?

We're talking like an inch here. Maybe a half an inch sometimes.

• 4:30Mae Martin?

I gotta get you over to my house because it will be your hell, because it is higgled. Pickledy because I just I hang like, look at this. Does this stress you out? So I just picked with those random.

• 4:39Fortune Feimster?

Oh, yeah, that stresses me out. That's not right.

• 4:42Mae Martin?

How bad is that? Look at that.

• 4:44Fortune Feimster?

It has to be the ones, the bottom one stays and the other one centers with that one.

• 4:50Mae Martin?

And go up probably like a gap.

• 4:52Fortune Feimster?

Yeah, it's weird that they're touching. They don't need to be touching.

• 4:55Mae Martin?

I just pick random spots and I'm like, oh, that's okay. Yeah.

• 4:59Fortune Feimster?

Yeah, I'm like, and then other things I could care less about. I don't notice. It's like, whatever. But it's certain things where I'm just like, that is like a half an inch too short. It's too tall.

• 5:10Mae Martin?

What about your clothes? Do you fold your clothes?

• 5:13Fortune Feimster?

No, I don't give a shit about clothes or any of that stuff. It's more like, and I know, like in theory, I could pay the guys to come back and move it down an inch or up an inch. But I'm more just like, ah, why didn't I just figure that out to begin with? So you just don't know until it's up there.

• 5:32Mae Martin?

Just sit and hate it for months.

• 5:33Fortune Feimster?

I sit and hate it. And I will stare at it. Yeah, for months, being like, ah, just if it was an inch lower.

• 5:40Mae Martin?

I bought a, an outdoor hammock, uh, like you don't need trees for it. It's got like the metal thing.

• 5:47Fortune Feimster?

  Yeah, yeah.

• 5:47Mae Martin?

And, um, yesterday I did not leave my house. I didn't venture out past my front gate. I was so, I was lying in the sun on the hammock and I.

• 5:57Fortune Feimster?

  Oh, that sounds nice.

• 5:58Mae Martin?

Yeah, I just was like, I'm not even gonna shower till like 1pm. I just lay around. It was so nice. I got a couple of weeks here now.

• 6:06Fortune Feimster?

Oh, that's good. I know. I think I'm, I've gotta go out of town again for shows in the States. But then I'll be back after each one, both weeks, and I'm pretty pumped.

• 6:16Mae Martin?

  Oh, that's good, dude.

• 6:18Fortune Feimster?

Because there's so much happening at my house. It's coming along swimmingly.

• 6:23Mae Martin?

What's this black thing behind you?

• 6:25Fortune Feimster?

Uh, oh, this is a new, um, like, just a.

• 6:30Mae Martin?

  Table.

• 6:31Fortune Feimster?

Table. And eventually I'm gonna put things on it.

• 6:34Mae Martin?

  Yeah.

• 6:35Fortune Feimster?

And then I'm gonna put things on the wall. They had put this as if I was gonna hang this. I'm not. It's just one show that was sold out.

• 6:43Mae Martin?

Oh, that's so cute. The venue gave you a poster that said.

• 6:46Fortune Feimster?

Like, I can't put up one random theater that was sold out on my wall. Like, that's just too random.

• 6:52Mae Martin?

That is too random. Use the frame or paint.

• 6:55Fortune Feimster?

I was about to say, the frame is good. I might use the frame.

• 6:58Mae Martin?

Yeah, paint over the thing inside it.

• 7:00Fortune Feimster?

But I'm, I'm fixing my tits out hot tub.

• 7:04Mae Martin?

Oh, I thought you were gonna say I'm fixing my tits. And I was like,

• 7:06Fortune Feimster?

No, these are just gonna be saggy forever. Tits out hot tub is being fixed, so it will no longer be tits out.

• 7:13Mae Martin?

How? You're building up the sides or digging it down?

• 7:16Fortune Feimster?

No, I'm paying for them to go in and re, I'm paying them to re, um, re bench.

• 7:24Mae Martin?

Re bench? Yeah, yeah, yeah. Cause the bench is too hot.

• 7:27Fortune Feimster?

I'm doing two of the benches five inches higher, five to six inches higher. So the water is actually gonna come up to like here, which I'm pretty,

• 7:36Mae Martin?

  Chin out, chin out tub.

• 7:37Fortune Feimster?

I'm pretty pumped about, which not everyone's, not everyone wants it that high, but I do. But then another bench is only gonna be about three inches higher. So it will be, it will land just above the teats.

• 7:51Mae Martin?

  I'm like,

• 7:52Fortune Feimster?

  For shorter people.

• 7:53Mae Martin?

If I had it up to me, I would be up to here in the water. I wanna feel like I'm a matzo ball and a soup. Yes.

• 7:59Fortune Feimster?

I wanna be engulfed. If I'm gonna be in a hot tub,

• 8:01Mae Martin?

  Let's face it.

• 8:03Fortune Feimster?

And you don't want it too high because of the bubbles. But if it's here, it's great. Your whole body's getting, you know,

• 8:09Mae Martin?

  I know.

• 8:10Fortune Feimster?

  The experience.

• 8:12Mae Martin?

We need to be back in the womb. Let's be honest.

• 8:14Fortune Feimster?

I know. And that's kinda what I wanted. But then they were like, you should have one bench not as deep because of the short people. And I was like, that's true. I don't know what short people will be in here.

• 8:25Mae Martin?

  Tig might be.

• 8:26Fortune Feimster?

But yeah, she'll have one bench available to her.

• 8:30Mae Martin?

  Okay.

• 8:32Fortune Feimster?

So yeah, anyway. Well, should we get to our questions?

• 8:35Mae Martin?

Yeah, I'm curious. Maybe there'll be some, you have some European listeners.

• 8:38Fortune Feimster?

  Mm hmm.

• 8:40Speaker 03

This is Michelle. Fortune, by the way, I'm also a tits out hot tub girl. So my question, in my line of work, I provide briefings to large groups of people on stage. So my question for you is, have you ever had an experience when you're doing stand up where your body does something you did not plan on? Like you tripped, or you fell, or you lost your faculties, something happened physically that you did not know was gonna happen? And how did you recover?

• 9:08Mae Martin?

Oh, God, yeah, that just filled me with anxiety.

• 9:12Fortune Feimster?

I love that she gave a shout out to the tits out hot tub right away.

• 9:17Mae Martin?

So there's people out there who are like proudly tits out.

• 9:20Fortune Feimster?

  Uh huh.

• 9:21Mae Martin?

  Yeah, I like that.

• 9:23Mae Martin?

The two, two things came to mind. Both of them are gross and both happened in Australia. One is I had pneumonia in Australia and I was doing the festival and I

• 9:32Fortune Feimster?

  Yeah.

• 9:32Mae Martin?

was coughing all through my show and I coughed so hard that I, I felt like a crack in my ribs almost. It must, maybe it was muscular, but it was like a crack. And then I had to end, it's the only time I've ever ended a show early. Cause I was like, I can't, guys, I can't.

• 9:49Fortune Feimster?

  Oh, yeah.

• 9:49Mae Martin?

And everyone was like, thank God. We've been so uncomfortable this whole show, watching you sweat and cough. So I was glad I ended it. And the other thing, same festival, I felt like I had to fart.

• 10:01Fortune Feimster?

  Oh, no.

• 10:02Mae Martin?

And I thought, I can't. So I kind of moved backwards as I was talking, like kind of towards the back wall, just like made up a reason. And then I did the fart and then it, and then I walked for it and it kind of followed me and I swear hit the, hit the audience and it was rough. Yeah. What about you?

• 10:20Fortune Feimster?

I once was in Eureka Springs, Arkansas. I'd just eaten a charcuttes board. Coughed in the middle of the set and a giant wedge of cheese coughed up out of my mouth.

• 10:34Mae Martin?

  Oh, my God.

• 10:35Fortune Feimster?

And I was like, did you guys just see that? And they were like, yeah.

• 10:39Fortune Feimster?

And I was like, oh, I'm so sorry. So that was

• 10:42Mae Martin?

  Did it come like

• 10:42Fortune Feimster?

  so embarrassing.

• 10:43Mae Martin?

  Out of your throat?

• 10:44Fortune Feimster?

But I also laughed about it.

• 10:45Mae Martin?

  Yeah.

• 10:46Fortune Feimster?

  It was like

• 10:47Mae Martin?

  Oh, my God.

• 10:49Fortune Feimster?

Cause I think I was getting over a cold too. So it was just like, purr.

• 10:52Mae Martin?

  Yeah.

• 10:53Fortune Feimster?

Um, and then the other time was in P town, Providence town, which I'm going to go back to finally in August of this year. I haven't performed there in years. I had to pee so bad. Uh, I was, I had 10 minutes left of my set and I, and it was coming, it's coming, coming, coming, coming. I was trying to like push through, push through, push through. And at 10 minutes, I was like, I'm going to piss my pants.

• 11:17Mae Martin?

  Yeah.

• 11:17Fortune Feimster?

And so I had to say to the audience, I said, you guys, I I'm gonna keep it real with you. I, I can't, or maybe I have like five minutes, it was something like five minutes left. I go, I have five minutes left on my set, technically. I go, but I am about to pee my pants. So do we just call it now? And I go pee? Or do you want me to pee and I come back? And they were like, just go pee, girl.

• 11:45Mae Martin?

And did you come back or you were like?

• 11:47Fortune Feimster?

No, they were like, it's fine, just go pee. And then I peed and then it was a very small show. This was years ago.

• 11:52Mae Martin?

  That's so funny.

• 11:53Fortune Feimster?

And then when I, and I think I went back in the room and just like high fived everyone. I washed my hands. But yeah, they were just like, just go pee, we're good.

• 12:01Mae Martin?

  That's really funny.

• 12:07Mae Martin?

I have, one time was doing improv with Alana Johnston and Stephanie Allen, Tig's wife. And it was the only time I've ever experienced someone on stage was Stephanie just goes, I gotta go. I gotta go to the, and I've never, and I thought something was wrong. Like maybe she's gonna puke or some emergency. And so she left and I was really, because I've never had that in an improv set. And then she came back out and was like, sorry, I just had to pee. And I was like, wow. That's so many people's worst nightmare on stage. But then once it's happened, you're like, all right, well, that's the worst.

• 12:37Fortune Feimster?

I have a very tiny bladder. And so I, if I, I have to pee more than I feel like I should be peeing. And I don't know if that, maybe I'm doing something wrong to cause that.

• 12:53Fortune Feimster?

But I pee like three times before I go up on every show.

• 12:57Mae Martin?

Me too. And then before you go to bed, do you pee a lot?

• 13:00Fortune Feimster?

Yeah, because I'm late, the older I get, the more I am like, at like four in the morning, waking up, having to pee.

• 13:08Mae Martin?

  Yeah.

• 13:09Fortune Feimster?

  I don't know.

• 13:10Mae Martin?

  Yeah.

• 13:10Fortune Feimster?

  As I drink water.

• 13:12Mae Martin?

Yeah. Should we hear what Michelle has to say?

• 13:15Fortune Feimster?

  Yeah.

• 13:16Speaker 03

For me, unfortunately, about a year ago, as I'm taking the stage in front of 2,000 people, that's when the heel of my pump decided to give out, crack my ankle and fall flat on my pooper on the stage. And all I could do is look up, laugh and roll over. Thank you guys for everything you do. I love you.

• 13:39Fortune Feimster?

That's definitely embarrassing, but I was worried that she actually broke her ankle at first, but I think she was okay.

• 13:44Mae Martin?

I think she powered through, but I've never heard pooper. So she fell on her pooper. That is great.

• 13:50Fortune Feimster?

Funny. There's a video out there that, this is so mean. When I was on Chelsea lately, they used to play it all the time. And it's Kelsey Grammer is on stage doing some kind of speech and he's talking, talking and just suddenly falls off the stage.

• 14:11Mae Martin?

  No.

• 14:12Fortune Feimster?

It was a stage that had like, like divots in it. And he didn't see it and he walked into the layer. There was like, no, the stage ended and just went.

• 14:25Mae Martin?

  Oh my God, that's good.

• 14:27Fortune Feimster?

  He was fine.

• 14:28Mae Martin?

  Yeah.

• 14:28Fortune Feimster?

They used to play that all the time.

• 14:31Mae Martin?

I'm gonna have to watch that. I think we're allowed to enjoy that now that he's a Trumpy.

• 14:35Fortune Feimster?

  Yeah.

• 14:37Mae Martin?

I'm gonna watch that. That's the worst nightmare that was like, yeah, tumbling off.

• 14:41Fortune Feimster?

  Yeah.

• 14:41Mae Martin?

  Stage.

• 14:42Fortune Feimster?

My other thing I get worried about is, is my zipper down.

• 14:46Mae Martin?

  Oh yeah, gotta check that.

• 14:47Fortune Feimster?

Because I have a couple of jeans. I feel like the cheaper jeans are getting, the more the zipper keeps being loose.

• 14:53Mae Martin?

  Absolutely.

• 14:54Fortune Feimster?

So I check that a lot and, and decide, you know, bugs and stuff.

• 14:58Mae Martin?

  Bugs, yeah.

• 14:59Fortune Feimster?

Know if people can see it when you're on the stage.

• 15:02Mae Martin?

Yeah. Well, that was great. Now I'm full of anxiety for my next show.

• 15:08Mae Martin?

  Let's do another one.

• 15:09Speaker 04

Hi Tig, May and Fortune. My name is Jenna. I'm calling from just outside of Ithaca, New York. If y'all have never been to Ithaca, I highly recommend visiting. We are very gay out here in the middle of nowhere.

• 15:22Mae Martin?

  Yep.

• 15:22Speaker 04

Um, it's a fun time. So my question for you is, um, what is one cork that or habit that you have? That other people may find strange, but you actually find great comfort in it.

• 15:39Mae Martin?

  Oh, great.

• 15:40Fortune Feimster?

  A quirk about ourselves?

• 15:42Mae Martin?

Yeah, that other people have noticed and found strange, but you like.

• 15:46Fortune Feimster?

  That we're into.

• 15:48Mae Martin?

  Yeah.

• 15:48Fortune Feimster?

Okay. By the way, I have been to Ithaca. Um, there is a hiking, there is a hiking trail there with waterfalls and it's beautiful.

• 15:58Mae Martin?

  Oh, that sounds good.

• 16:00Fortune Feimster?

It was, uh, I was driving through that area because that shows, I think in Rochester and Albany or, and I rolled through Ithaca.

• 16:08Mae Martin?

  Ithaca sounds.

• 16:09Fortune Feimster?

  Fantastic hike.

• 16:10Mae Martin?

It sounds like a mythical elven place, like.

• 16:12Fortune Feimster?

  Sounds like Ichabod Crane.

• 16:14Mae Martin?

Yeah, follow the river to Ithaca. When you're there, you must, yeah, anyway. Um, I have a quirk.

• 16:21Fortune Feimster?

  Yeah. What is yours?

• 16:23Mae Martin?

Well, I didn't realize I did this until, um, living with poverty and she noticed that when I brush my teeth, instead of moving the toothbrush, I move my head. So I move my head the way it needs to go, like that kind of. I mean, sometimes I'll do a bit with the brush, but mainly I'm moving my head around. But I do find, I find that really, I didn't know I did that, but.

• 16:45Fortune Feimster?

Yeah. I mean, that's so funny because my quirk would be my fingers, like I can't leave my hands alone.

• 16:53Mae Martin?

  Yeah.

• 16:53Fortune Feimster?

Um, and I have had people in my life and my mom just did it the other day where she tried to grab my hand to keep me from doing it. And I've had other people be like, stop picking your hands.

• 17:05Mae Martin?

Yeah, but you like it, but let, like, live, girl.

• 17:09Fortune Feimster?

I think they just don't want my nail bed to be fucked up.

• 17:13Mae Martin?

  Right.

• 17:13Fortune Feimster?

Which I understand, but it's definitely a weird quirk and I don't necessarily love it.

• 17:18Mae Martin?

I think it's weird that we grow nails. Like, I guess evolution was like, you might need a weapon there. But then we have these little pathetic little nails that don't do shit, you know?

• 17:29Fortune Feimster?

Someone told me, and I don't know why I've got so.

• 17:32Mae Martin?

I don't know if this is.

• 17:33Fortune Feimster?

  Sorry. You really did.

• 17:35Mae Martin?

They don't do shit, these fucking nails.

• 17:37Fortune Feimster?

I don't know if this is true, but someone told me that your nails are like, it's waste coming out of your body or something. Is that true?

• 17:46Mae Martin?

  I don't think so.

• 17:48Fortune Feimster?

That's why your nails grow is like it's certain waste that are coming that.

• 17:54Mae Martin?

  I don't know.

• 17:55Fortune Feimster?

  As to them growing.

• 17:56Mae Martin?

I don't know. It must be just so you can scratch someone or dig a little hole for your shelter. Can't be waste.

• 18:05Fortune Feimster?

I don't know. I guess I could Google it, but who cares?

• 18:11Speaker 05

Wikipedia says that a nail protects your fingers. So it has a use.

• 18:16Mae Martin?

It doesn't really protect your fingers, though.

• 18:18Fortune Feimster?

It doesn't say anything about waste?

• 18:20Mae Martin?

  If anything.

• 18:20Speaker 05

  It's waste.

• 18:21Mae Martin?

I don't think it protects your fingers because it's so, I'd rather my finger was all the way around finger because once that nail falls off, it's the most vulnerable, sensitive little part of your bod. If you, you know what I mean? It just feels like a little Achilles heel. Anyway, what does Jenna have to say?

• 18:39Speaker 04

My answer to that question is that when my hair is longer, I twirl it. And I actually find ways to feel how smooth it is between my fingers. I did this ever since I was a little kid. And now that my hair is growing out long again, because you know, I'm doing a little queer mullet situation. I'm finding myself back into that little comfort quirk of mine. So I'm not mad about it. All right. Thank you so much.

• 19:09Mae Martin?

  I love a queer mullet. That's awesome.

• 19:13Fortune Feimster?

  They're fun.

• 19:14Mae Martin?

Yeah. I'm, my friend Joe is visiting right now, who I write with. And he, he has a thing that for years I never asked him about it. Cause I thought, maybe there's something neurological going on or something like, something's up with Joe, but you don't teach their own. Cause he'd move, he'll be sitting there and his head will sort of start to move and he's looking out the window like that. And then I found out that all this time for years, he's been, there's a, he'll find a mark on the window and then he'll like line it up with something else in his vision. Like he's doing this whole thing. Anyway, I thought he just was losing his mind.

• 19:46Fortune Feimster?

Is that the same Joe that wrote the rom com with Brett Goldstein?

• 19:51Mae Martin?

  No, no.

• 19:52Fortune Feimster?

  Oh, that's a different Joe.

• 19:53Mae Martin?

Yeah, this is, Joe wrote Feel Good With Me.

• 19:56Fortune Feimster?

  That's all right. Okay.

• 19:57Mae Martin?

We're writing a new show. It's, I'm so excited about it.

• 20:00Fortune Feimster?

  Oh, yeah?

• 20:01Mae Martin?

  Yeah, it's spooky.

• 20:03Fortune Feimster?

Like, oh, another thriller. Well, those were.

• 20:05Mae Martin?

Thriller, but it's funnier than Wayward and, and.

• 20:08Fortune Feimster?

That genre is clearly very popular. Oh, by the way, that's the thing right now that. People are really into that.

• 20:14Mae Martin?

  What?

• 20:14Fortune Feimster?

Show Off Campus. You know what I'm talking about?

• 20:16Mae Martin?

Oh, no, I haven't seen it.

• 20:18Fortune Feimster?

Okay, so it's the new young adults. Okay, I don't, I have to admit, I'm, I have watched a lot of the young adult content.

• 20:27Mae Martin?

  You like hot teens.

• 20:28Fortune Feimster?

  The summer I turned pretty.

• 20:29Mae Martin?

  Yeah.

• 20:30Fortune Feimster?

But that somehow is very entertaining. It's so cheesy, but um, Off Campus is um, the super hot show now with the like college age kids. It's hockey players. Um, but not the gay ones like heated rivalry. This is straight hockey players and they're in relationships. Lots of sex.

• 20:51Mae Martin?

  Great.

• 20:52Fortune Feimster?

Um, so it's super popular and all the songs are blowing up from the show too, including G flips.

• 20:59Mae Martin?

  No way.

• 21:00Fortune Feimster?

Who has asked a question on the pod, friend of the pod. Uh, G flip is having a massive hit with their song that is on the series. But yeah, it's super, it's the show right now and you know, I'm watching it.

• 21:12Mae Martin?

Of course you are. I'm gonna watch it.

• 21:14Fortune Feimster?

So I'm just saying, when you fit, as you write your show, um, throw in all that stuff, cause.

• 21:22Mae Martin?

  It's some teens.

• 21:23Fortune Feimster?

They love, they love when, they love when guys are shirtless.

• 21:28Mae Martin?

  Yeah.

• 21:28Fortune Feimster?

They love them. And they're not teens. This is college people. Just wanna get crazy.

• 21:33Mae Martin?

  Yeah.

• 21:33Fortune Feimster?

Um, they love it when they're boning.

• 21:35Mae Martin?

Yeah, I'll do, I will get a lot of boning in.

• 21:38Fortune Feimster?

  Yeah.

• 21:39Mae Martin?

I'm excited for um, overcompensating season two. And also I've been watching, I've been watching Widows Bay on Apple. I don't know if you've seen that. It's like.

• 21:47Fortune Feimster?

  I haven't.

• 21:48Mae Martin?

It's so effortlessly cool. It's kind of, it's about a little, a little town, coastal town that every week, there's like a new horror thing. So like one week it'll be zombies, one week it'll be a serial killer. Next week it'll be like a sea monster. And it's just great actors and yeah.

• 22:05Fortune Feimster?

  Love it.

• 22:06Mae Martin?

There reminds me of Buffy, kind of.

• 22:08Fortune Feimster?

But I like overcompensating as well. We'll have to, we asked Benito like a year ago to do a handsome question and never followed up, so.

• 22:14Mae Martin?

He was so pumped to do it.

• 22:16Fortune Feimster?

Or Benny, but I like to say Benito.

• 22:18Mae Martin?

  Well, this was a joy.

• 22:20Fortune Feimster?

  Yeah.

• 22:20Mae Martin?

  As always.

• 22:21Fortune Feimster?

What a treat. Check us out on our tours. Uh, I'll be in some fun places soon, like Red Bank, New Jersey, and I'm announcing a lot of dates soon, so check those out.

• 22:34Mae Martin?

July 17th, I'm in Guelph, um, playing a lot of my album, uh, with a band. So come and see that in Ontario, uh, at Hillside, or then right after that, I'm going to Folk on the Rocks in Yellowknife and doing the same thing. So if you want to come rock out, please do. And please keep submitting your questions and your advice requests to speakpipe.com/hansampod. We also have new merch at handsomepod.com and we love you and we love hearing from you.

• 23:03Fortune Feimster?

  Yeah, we do.

• 23:04Mae Martin?

  And we love each other.

• 23:05Fortune Feimster?

  Yeah, we do.

• 23:05Mae Martin?

  We love the world.

• 23:06Fortune Feimster?

  Until then, keep it.

• 23:08Mae Martin?

  Keep it.

• 23:09Fortune Feimster?
