Checking Allstate first could save you hundreds on car insurance. Not checking the program before sitting down to enjoy a school play? I'm in shambles. Turns out there's no intermission during this three-hour Shakespeare adaptation, and I really need to go to the bathroom.

Handsome. Chit and my friends on the handsome pod. Chit and my friends on the handsome pod. Pretty little episode.

• 2:19Mae Martin?

  Girl.

• 2:24Tig Notaro?

Got me again. You know, every time I hear the chatting with friends, I try and pick out each voice.

• 2:33Mae Martin?

  Oh, really?

• 2:34Tig Notaro?

  And I never can.

• 2:35Mae Martin?

Yeah, we've become one organism, kind of.

• 2:38Tig Notaro?

Yeah, yeah. I mean, I'm typically pretty good at isolating vocals and picking out different instruments when I'm listening to something.

• 2:48Mae Martin?

  Right.

• 2:48Tig Notaro?

  But I can't in ours.

• 2:51Mae Martin?

I think that's beautiful. How are you, Tig?

• 2:55Tig Notaro?

I'm doing all right. How are you?

• 2:57Mae Martin?

  I'm well. I'm, I'm in Toronto.

• 3:00Tig Notaro?

  Yeah.

• 3:01Mae Martin?

In this like very brightly lit, kind of severancy office room. I'm, I'm in the edit. I just had to do ADR, like record my audio for a big fight scene and a big sex scene. It was humiliating. I made everybody turn and face the wall.

• 3:16Tig Notaro?

Wow. So wait, um, like i- is it giving away too much, I guess, if you're, tell me who you're fighting with?

• 3:24Mae Martin?

Yeah, I can't say who I'm fighting with, but I get tased. I think I talked about this on the, on the pod and I was so embarrassed by my tased acting and especially the noise. So this was like my second shot at it.

• 3:35Tig Notaro?

  Okay.

• 3:36Mae Martin?

  And, um.

• 3:37Tig Notaro?

What was the noise? And then what is the replace noise? What, let's hear it.

• 3:41Mae Martin?

Okay, what it was, was like.

• 3:45Mae Martin?

Like it was really not good. And then would it be.

• 3:49Tig Notaro?

And what did you base that on? Did you look up like people getting tased and noises they made or anything like that?

• 3:56Mae Martin?

Well, I looked at videos and I saw the physicality, but they don't really make noises. Like you're too, your, your body's all frozen up.

• 4:04Tig Notaro?

Oh, so you're silent when you're tased?

• 4:07Mae Martin?

  I, maybe?

• 4:09Tig Notaro?

  Uh huh.

• 4:09Mae Martin?

Yeah. But then today I tried a new noise, which is more like.

• 4:17Tig Notaro?

And who's deciding? Like, who has the experience of knowing the sound of a tased person?

• 4:25Mae Martin?

All I know is that the sound team here were like, you gotta do this again.

• 4:29Tig Notaro?

  Yeah.

• 4:30Mae Martin?

And I think people seem happy with the second round.

• 4:33Tig Notaro?

  Okay.

• 4:33Mae Martin?

And then the sex scene was really embarrassing. I had to turn the lights off in the studio, basically, in my little booth.

• 4:39Tig Notaro?

  Sounds sexy right away.

• 4:40Mae Martin?

It was pretty sexy, yeah. And then I had to do all this, like, heavy breathing. And I thought it would be really funny if I ADR'd like, like, ah, like crazy sex noises as a joke, but...

• 4:52Tig Notaro?

Do you want to explain to people what ADR is, in case they maybe don't know?

• 4:56Mae Martin?

Like, if there's a sound problem when you're recording, or if you want to add a line or something, you, you go in and record your audio and your, your dialogue. But often it's just like breathing, or do you, I can imagine, like, when you have to do a running scene or something, and then you have to ADR all your panting. Do you do that?

• 5:13Tig Notaro?

Yeah, I was just about to act that out, that sometimes you have to go in and be like,

• 5:18Mae Martin?

  Yeah.

• 5:20Tig Notaro?

I don't even know if I really make noise. I don't know when the last time I ran was, but I don't know that I, I don't know if I make those noises.

• 5:30Mae Martin?

I don't think anyone does. But then, I guess for storytelling, they're like, just go for it, just...

• 5:36Tig Notaro?

Especially in a cartoon. It, it feels better if I'm doing that, if I'm voicing a cartoon, and you have to do the huh, whoa, whoa.

• 5:49Tig Notaro?

And then it's like, okay, you're now putting something up on a very heavy box on a shelf.

• 5:58Tig Notaro?

  Yeah, yeah. What is that?

• 6:00Mae Martin?

Oh, that was just a boing, like a cartoon boing.

• 6:03Tig Notaro?

But like, if you're lifting a box onto a shelf?

• 6:06Mae Martin?

But then you might drop it on a trampoline.

• 6:08Tig Notaro?

Of course. Yes, yes. We watched the same cartoon, apparently.

• 6:12Mae Martin?

  Yes.

• 6:13Tig Notaro?

But I want to go back to your sex scene. That, was that more uncomfortable to do the ADR for the sex scene than it was to do the actual sex scene?

• 6:24Mae Martin?

Sort of, because at least, you know, when you're doing it, the adrenaline's going, you're not, you're like, I gotta just do this and get, and there's another person you're ideally in the moment with, but this is like, there's a guy with headphones, eating a sandwich at the next desk, and...

• 6:42Mae Martin?

Yeah, just watching yourself as well as hell.

• 6:45Tig Notaro?

And how did you feel watching yourself? Were you, was it titillating?

• 6:50Mae Martin?

Titillating? No, but I hope it is for others. It's, it's kind of a wild scene. Yeah, I think, I think it will be okay. I don't know.

• 7:00Tig Notaro?

And how many sex scenes have you done in your career thus far?

• 7:04Mae Martin?

I would say I did about four in Feel Good and then one in this show, so.

• 7:10Tig Notaro?

  And does it get easier?

• 7:12Mae Martin?

That's five in total. Yes, absolutely. And also that I feel more confident in my, in my bod now, you know?

• 7:19Tig Notaro?

  Yeah.

• 7:19Mae Martin?

What about you? Have you ever done like a full?

• 7:21Tig Notaro?

  No, nor would I.

• 7:24Mae Martin?

  Really?

• 7:25Tig Notaro?

No, no, no, no, thank you.

• 7:29Mae Martin?

  I, I wouldn't mind seeing it. I think you'd be great.

• 7:32Tig Notaro?

Oh, well, you are kind, but also back off.

• 7:37Tig Notaro?

Yeah, I remember, I think Stephanie and I, the most that went down on one Mississippi was kissing.

• 7:45Mae Martin?

  Right.

• 7:45Tig Notaro?

And that's the only, any kind of interaction I've had.

• 7:49Mae Martin?

Was with your very own wife?

• 7:51Tig Notaro?

Was with my own person. And that was even uncomfortable for me because I'm not like a very.

• 7:59Mae Martin?

  PDA.

• 8:00Tig Notaro?

No, I'm just not. What about you?

• 8:03Mae Martin?

  Uh, yeah, it is just weird. There's a whole, a whole crew, but I don't, I don't, I don't mind it.

• 8:09Tig Notaro?

Wait, a whole crew? What, but like for PDA in life?

• 8:12Mae Martin?

  Oh.

• 8:13Tig Notaro?

Are you PDA, PDA in life?

• 8:16Mae Martin?

I'm a very like hand holdy, hand on the leg, hand on the back, but I'm not like kissing a bunch in front of people. I don't like, I don't like that.

• 8:25Tig Notaro?

  Yeah, yeah, same.

• 8:26Mae Martin?

Yeah, but I like to have a, a bit of contact.

• 8:29Tig Notaro?

Mm hmm. Yeah. Just a, hey, I'm over here.

• 8:33Mae Martin?

  Hello.

• 8:33Tig Notaro?

Hello, it's me, the one you love. Um, well, I can't wait to see.

• 8:39Mae Martin?

  Thanks.

• 8:39Tig Notaro?

Cannot wait to see. Can you tell us if you win the fight?

• 8:42Mae Martin?

Oh, I do win the fight, actually. Yeah.

• 8:44Tig Notaro?

  Oh, spoiler.

• 8:47Mae Martin?

Yeah, there's a couple of fights.

• 8:48Tig Notaro?

  Okay.

• 8:49Mae Martin?

Yeah, I'm excited for you guys to see it. I hope you like it.

• 8:52Tig Notaro?

  Yeah.

• 8:52Mae Martin?

Um, I feel like Thomas might like it because it's set in 2003 and there's a lot of Canadian music in it from that era, which is really my era, like Canadian indie music, you know?

• 9:04Tig Notaro?

  2003.

• 9:05Mae Martin?

  Yeah, I love that year.

• 9:07Speaker 05

I'm really excited. Any bare naked ladies in there?

• 9:09Mae Martin?

No, but you got some tragically hip. You got some, uh, Sam Roberts. Oh, my God, bare naked ladies. I got a really dramatic moment.

• 9:21Tig Notaro?

  Or during the sex scene?

• 9:22Mae Martin?

  Yeah.

• 9:23Tig Notaro?

  Mm hmm.

• 9:23Mae Martin?

  Yelp spin.

• 9:24Tig Notaro?

Yelp spin. Boy, they've really had a massive explosion, didn't they? When they?

• 9:30Mae Martin?

I, yeah, like they, because they've made it down to the States, right?

• 9:33Tig Notaro?

Oh, yeah. Yeah. And they just had such a different vibe. I guess that vibe was Canadian. I was truly like, what is this? I enjoyed them very much. I just had not experienced.

• 9:47Mae Martin?

  That like silliness?

• 9:48Tig Notaro?

  Uh huh. Yeah.

• 9:50Mae Martin?

  Very silly.

• 9:51Tig Notaro?

  Yeah.

• 9:51Mae Martin?

What were you doing this morning?

• 9:53Tig Notaro?

What was I doing this morning? We dropped off, um, you know, Max and Finn at their school. And then, um, I had to edit, uh, this thing for a charity event that I'm, I'm involved with, that I have to announce. Um, I had a doctor's appointment.

• 10:14Mae Martin?

  Love it.

• 10:15Tig Notaro?

Yeah, love, love, love. And, um, physical therapy.

• 10:21Mae Martin?

  Oh, cool.

• 10:21Tig Notaro?

  Mm hmm.

• 10:22Mae Martin?

Is that, does that feel good? Physical therapy? Like?

• 10:25Tig Notaro?

Yeah, it feels really good. Um, it's making me feel like, oh, I should, maybe I should get more into strength training because it's hard. I mean, I know it's not hard for you because you can do pushups with me on your back.

• 10:42Mae Martin?

I couldn't even do one, but I could at least do a plank.

• 10:45Tig Notaro?

You, yeah, I mean, I was really impressed that.

• 10:48Mae Martin?

  Really?

• 10:49Tig Notaro?

Absolutely. I, I mean, if you sat on my lap, I would, I would, I, I'm just, yeah, I need to definitely work on. My strength training.

• 11:01Mae Martin?

The thing I hate doing is legs. Like, I like doing upper body stuff and trying to, trying to look strong, but I'm get, my legs are like little twigs. They're very weak. And I went rock climbing, I went bouldering.

• 11:14Tig Notaro?

  Mm hmm. I love bouldering.

• 11:16Mae Martin?

Yes. And I didn't realize it's all legs. Like, you're meant to be pushing with your legs. Anyway, I was just.

• 11:22Tig Notaro?

  Where were you bouldering?

• 11:23Mae Martin?

Echo Park, there's a place, an indoor place with a bunch of walls, but the, the crowd there, like the bouldering scene is like lot of guys with ponytails, a lot of those stringy little, stringy little guys who are coming up. I was like trying to do something and then this guy comes up, he's got braces, he looks about 12. And he's like, yeah, what you want to do is get your foot in the crevice there and then like boots me off basically and takes over.

• 11:49Tig Notaro?

I remember I, um, I went, where was I? I was in the Arches in Utah, in the Canyonlands. And I was camping with these friends of mine, uh, Mike and Micah. Mike was my friend and Micah, I knew through Mike and we had, the three of us had gone to Utah to camp and, um, and we went bouldering out there and.

• 12:16Mae Martin?

  On like real boulders?

• 12:17Tig Notaro?

Oh, we went real bouldering, like through really tiny crevices, you know, just like shimmying up and down. And I remember I, um, I was on top of this massive boulder and they had made their way down and they were like, just slide, just, just slide. It was so precarious that it wasn't, it, it just wasn't totally straightforward for me to get down off of this boulder. So I slid down and it completely, I lost the entire backside of my jeans.

• 12:51Mae Martin?

  Oh, my god.

• 12:52Tig Notaro?

And I had the rest of the day to boulder with these guys with, with my, you know, half of.

• 12:59Mae Martin?

  Your shiny red bum.

• 13:00Tig Notaro?

Yes. Yeah. Yeah. And we were so far from our campsite that there, there was nothing that I could do. So.

• 13:08Mae Martin?

  God.

• 13:08Tig Notaro?

Yeah, it was a bit of a, a damper on the bouldering day.

• 13:12Mae Martin?

I mean, I was like visualizing that in my head, but in my head, when I pictured it, it was a cartoon.

• 13:17Tig Notaro?

  It basically was.

• 13:19Mae Martin?

  Such a cartoony moment.

• 13:25Mae Martin?

Well, listen, should we find out what our listeners want to?

• 13:28Tig Notaro?

I think we should. That's why we're here. So let's give them what they want.

• 13:31Mae Martin?

  Yeah.

• 13:32Speaker 00

Hi, handsome podcast. My name is Marky and I have a question for y'all. Since May is a fan of escape rooms, what theme would your escape room be? And what would be the key to getting out?

• 13:43Tig Notaro?

  Hmm.

• 13:47Mae Martin?

Well, I would have said Titanic, um, which feels fucked up because it's a real life tragedy. But then I recently did a Titanic escape room that was so epic. Cause I think there's nothing scarier than the idea of like water rushing in and trying to get like, yeah, yeah. So I would have said Titanic, but it's not a very whimsical joyful idea. What about you?

• 14:10Tig Notaro?

I really don't know. I mean, it, you're just like in a, um,

• 14:15Mae Martin?

Like a themed world, like you might be in Jurassic Park or you might be in, um, Sherlock Holmes's study, Mr. He was something like that, or an Inca.

• 14:27Tig Notaro?

  Yeah.

• 14:28Mae Martin?

Ruin. What about an insane asylum? Like you start, I've never been in an escape room where you start in a padded room in a straitjacket. And you go, where are the clues? What am I supposed to solve? And then maybe there's like, you find a pin hidden in the padded walls and you use that.

• 14:44Tig Notaro?

Here's my question. Is it, I have really bad claustrophobia. Would this be bad for claustrophobia? Like if you didn't feel like you could get out?

• 14:57Mae Martin?

The straitjacket would be a problem for you, I think, but generally I think you'd be okay. You're in a room, you know that the door's not really locked. You're not like,

• 15:06Tig Notaro?

Okay, because we were on, on, this is how much, how bad my claustrophobia is. We were, uh, in Chicago on spring break, as you do.

• 15:18Mae Martin?

  Yeah.

• 15:19Tig Notaro?

And, um, there was a submarine that was indoors. No water.

• 15:26Mae Martin?

  Yeah.

• 15:27Tig Notaro?

  No locking door.

• 15:30Tig Notaro?

I stepped onto the submarine and the guide started just talking about, and I went, "Okay," like, I couldn't even talk. I, I, my mind went so far into the future of like, or the past, or wherever, it just was not there.

• 15:47Mae Martin?

  Yeah.

• 15:47Tig Notaro?

And I imagined being in the submarine, like underwater for months, which is apparently what happens. They, that's how you, you train above water and then you go into a submarine for the first time and you go away for months. So...

• 16:05Mae Martin?

There's gotta be a better way. That's insane. People are going for months in tiny submarines.

• 16:11Tig Notaro?

Yeah. So that would, I wouldn't have ever thought that something like that would be a problem for me until I, until the spring break, when I was like, "Wow, I am, I know I'm not really submerged."

• 16:24Mae Martin?

But your fight or flight kicked in.

• 16:25Tig Notaro?

Yeah, it really kicked in. But who cares? That's my issue. And, um, you know what? Maybe what I would do is I would be, again, I don't really know what I'm referencing.

• 16:41Mae Martin?

  Right.

• 16:41Tig Notaro?

What about like a, a school or college or something that I want to get out of? Would that make sense?

• 16:49Mae Martin?

Yeah, I don't mind that. There'd have to be like a plot element where you're trapped in there, like, but yeah, like...

• 16:54Tig Notaro?

Well, because I felt trapped in school.

• 16:56Mae Martin?

  Yeah, emotionally.

• 16:57Tig Notaro?

  Yeah, everything.

• 16:58Mae Martin?

  It's an emotional escape room.

• 16:59Tig Notaro?

Yeah, yeah. Why don't you give me a, a, an option? I guess you rattled off a few.

• 17:05Mae Martin?

Titanic, uh, insane asylum, prison, uh, what are some good ones I've done?

• 17:13Tig Notaro?

Oh, you've done all of those?

• 17:15Mae Martin?

I've done, I've done all those. Actually, you know what? Lisa Gilroy, our, our friend, friend of the pod, um, she went to visit the pyramids in Egypt, like, and she went into the Great Pyramid and you have to walk through a tiny tunnel into the pyramid. And she said, like, halfway through, she realized there's a line of people in front of her, a line of people behind her, like, you can't go back. And she was panicking. And that's my hell. I, I'm also...

• 17:38Tig Notaro?

  So is that claustrophobia?

• 17:40Mae Martin?

Yeah, yeah, yeah. That's, that's bad.

• 17:41Tig Notaro?

  Okay, yeah.

• 17:42Mae Martin?

Yeah. I think we're, I think we should do insane asylum, but you could be one of the orderlies. You could be like, you could be Nurse Ratchet.

• 17:49Tig Notaro?

I'm down. I'm down. Sorry to complicate that.

• 17:52Mae Martin?

No, no, I, I love it.

• 17:54Tig Notaro?

I just want to know what I'm in for.

• 17:56Mae Martin?

I'm gonna find a really spacious escape room and take you.

• 17:59Tig Notaro?

Are there tiny hallway room, escape rooms where?

• 18:03Mae Martin?

  Yeah.

• 18:04Tig Notaro?

Is there's, they should do a claustrophobia escape room.

• 18:07Mae Martin?

Oh, Christ. I mean, I'm saying that, but I would do it in a heartbeat, but I'd hate it. I'd hate every second of it.

• 18:15Tig Notaro?

Oh, my gosh. I can't even think about it. Let's move on.

• 18:18Mae Martin?

Yeah. Oh, let's hear Marky's answer.

• 18:21Tig Notaro?

  Yeah. What's Marky up to?

• 18:23Speaker 00

My escape room theme would be similar to an episode of Double Dare, where guests climb and search giant cat towers and sift through litter to find three flags to open the door to get out or something. Okay, thanks. And what a podcast. Cheers.

• 18:37Mae Martin?

What a podcast. Wait, that was really thought out. It was like, or something like that, but I like that.

• 18:44Tig Notaro?

Why don't you start a business doing?

• 18:47Mae Martin?

Don't tempt me. I want to pack it all in and just do escape rooms. Yeah.

• 18:51Tig Notaro?

Is that what, if you, if you could leave your career, is that what you would do is start an escape room company?

• 18:58Mae Martin?

Immersive theater slash escape rooms. But I like the idea of that Marky had of being shrunk down almost where your cat size and you're going through big things of litter. That's cool.

• 19:07Tig Notaro?

  Yeah. Thank you, Marky.

• 19:10Mae Martin?

  Thank you so much.

• 19:11Tig Notaro?

  Thank you so much, Marky.

• 19:12Mae Martin?

Thank you so much. What a, what a question.

• 19:14Tig Notaro?

What a question. What a Marky.

• 19:16Mae Martin?

  What a Marky.

• 19:18Tig Notaro?

  Should we hear another one?

• 19:19Mae Martin?

  I think we should.

• 19:20Tig Notaro?

Yeah, I don't see why not.

• 19:22Speaker 06

Hello, handsome's. My pretty little ladies and ladies. My name is Nikki and I'm from Chicago. Longtime listener, first time question recorder. I'm a huge fan of all y'all. And my question is, what is the most beautiful place that you have ever been to?

• 19:43Mae Martin?

  Oh, great. Great question.

• 19:46Tig Notaro?

  Yeah, that's hard.

• 19:48Mae Martin?

Did something jump into your mind?

• 19:50Tig Notaro?

I mean, there's so many places. I love the, um, Pacific Coast Highway.

• 19:57Mae Martin?

  Oh, yeah.

• 19:57Tig Notaro?

I mean, what like I'm just right. I mean, I've been to New Zealand, the black sand beaches of New Zealand. Have you been to

• 20:06Mae Martin?

  Whoa.

• 20:07Tig Notaro?

  To New Zealand?

• 20:08Mae Martin?

No, never. I would love to because I love Lord of the Rings and that's where Ho- Hob- Hoberton is.

• 20:13Tig Notaro?

  Oh, is that right?

• 20:15Mae Martin?

Yeah, yeah, yeah. That might make you claustrophobic, little hobbit homes.

• 20:19Tig Notaro?

Yeah, I don't think I'm cut out for the hobbitry, but

• 20:23Mae Martin?

Okay, so New Zealand for you?

• 20:25Tig Notaro?

Mm hmm. You know, I love the Rocky Mountains. Um, I don't know.

• 20:31Mae Martin?

There's a theme here that you're drawn to like mountainous rather than like white sand, blue water Caribbean.

• 20:37Tig Notaro?

I certainly like blue water Caribbean.

• 20:41Mae Martin?

  Sure.

• 20:42Tig Notaro?

What is the most beautiful? That's not fair. What is your answer?

• 20:48Mae Martin?

I'm gonna say, um, when I went to Nepal, there's a city in Nepal called Pokhara.

• 20:54Tig Notaro?

  Mm hmm.

• 20:54Mae Martin?

That's like around a lake and snow capped Himalayas all around it. And it's got these like jacaranda trees that were, when they're in bloom are like so perfumey and beautiful.

• 21:07Tig Notaro?

  Yeah.

• 21:07Mae Martin?

And it just looks like it's, uh, post like a fake place. It looks like, like Disney. Um, so Pokhara and also Iceland, when you were talking about black sand beaches, like Iceland just looks like Mars and there's like hot springs and, and northern lights and

• 21:26Tig Notaro?

I want to go there so bad.

• 21:28Mae Martin?

  Really?

• 21:28Tig Notaro?

  Yeah, I do.

• 21:30Mae Martin?

  You'd love it.

• 21:31Tig Notaro?

Stephanie and I were, um, walking past these flowers this morning and we, I was like, oh, look how beautiful those flowers are. And she stopped and was like, whoa, these look like, like this looks like when you're on drugs, looking at something. They were so beautiful. And it's crazy how

• 21:53Tig Notaro?

I mean, I'm gonna say an obvious thing, but how nature is like that where you

• 21:58Mae Martin?

  Yeah.

• 21:58Tig Notaro?

You can't make any sense of how beautiful something is. I'm gonna go with the Rocky Mountains. I'm gonna go with the Rocky Mountains. I love a river. I love rivers so much. I love that you can, there can be a shallow part of a river. I love that there's a, there can be a waterfall. I love that a river can pool. And there's so many options and that you can have a sandy beach vibe on the neck, on the side of a river.

• 22:28Mae Martin?

  Yeah.

• 22:29Tig Notaro?

Yes, I'm gonna go, I'm gonna go with that. Beautiful flowers, beautiful mountains, unbelievable water.

• 22:36Mae Martin?

Isn't that crazy that like you just switched your awareness there and you were like, I'm gonna be really present and aware of the beauty of this flower. And, and then you feel like you're on drugs all the time. That's what like enlightened people must feel or people who are really practice like mindfulness and stuff. It's like you can, you can feel like you're tripping all the time because everything's so beautiful.

• 22:55Tig Notaro?

  Yes, yeah.

• 22:57Mae Martin?

I like the idea of the river that like a babbling brook, nothing babbles except a brook. I can't.

• 23:03Tig Notaro?

Well, I know a few people that babble. I know some babblers.

• 23:08Mae Martin?

  Yeah, and babies, I guess.

• 23:09Tig Notaro?

  Yes, babies, little babbling babies.

• 23:12Mae Martin?

  Should we hear Nikki's answer?

• 23:13Tig Notaro?

Yes, let's hear what Nikki has to say. I can't wait, but I'm gonna have to.

• 23:19Speaker 06

A place that really made you say, get out of town, Charlie Brown. This is crazy, you know, something like that.

• 23:30Speaker 06

My answer is Rio de Janeiro. I went there last year with my best friend, who I've known since I was three years old. And we truly had the time of our lives. The, the horizons, the cascading mountains, the people. I mean, it truly was magic. Really looking forward to your answer and I love you all so much. Have a good one.

• 23:55Mae Martin?

  Thanks, Nikki.

• 23:55Tig Notaro?

We love you too, Nikki. Thanks for listening and I have not, I've never been there, have you?

• 24:01Mae Martin?

Never, and I've never said, get out of town, Charlie Brown, but you better believe I'm gonna start.

• 24:08Tig Notaro?

Oh, get out of town, Charlie Brown. Yes.

• 24:13Mae Martin?

Let me quickly Google it because where is that? Brazil, Brazil.

• 24:18Tig Notaro?

  Max is obsessed with Brazil.

• 24:20Mae Martin?

Is he? Because I'm learning all the capital cities now. I'm trying. So I'm.

• 24:24Tig Notaro?

  Just in your time off?

• 24:26Mae Martin?

Yeah, like I'm every day I'm like, right now I've got Europe down. I've done Europe, but it's Africa that's going to be hard because some of those words are really hard and Asia. Yeah.

• 24:37Tig Notaro?

And you fully have the others down?

• 24:39Mae Martin?

I have Europe down because I've got all the countries. And then I was in the, I had like my most kind of spectrum-y moment of my life where I was in the back of an Uber and the Uber driver was like, oh, I'm from Armenia. And I went, capital city, Yereban. And I was like, what am I doing? He was like, yep, that's right.

• 24:58Tig Notaro?

Oh, my gosh. You would have a wonderful conversation with Finn because he loves geography.

• 25:04Mae Martin?

  Really?

• 25:05Tig Notaro?

Oh, he knows his countries, his capitals, all of that stuff.

• 25:09Mae Martin?

Awesome. It's really soothing to organize the world.

• 25:13Tig Notaro?

Yeah, yeah, yeah. Finally, it's organized.

• 25:17Mae Martin?

  Finally.

• 25:18Tig Notaro?

Well, it was a wonderful experience seeing your mug again and.

• 25:25Mae Martin?

Great to see your mug as always.

• 25:27Tig Notaro?

Yeah, I, I hope you don't mind me calling it a mug.

• 25:31Mae Martin?

No, I like it. It's very New York.

• 25:35Tig Notaro?

  Seventies?

• 25:36Mae Martin?

  Yeah, seventies.

• 25:37Tig Notaro?

  Fifties to seventies.
