  Hi, I'm Ashley. I'm 30 years old.

• 2:08Speaker 03

And I'm Beau. I'm also 30 years old. We're from New Orleans, Louisiana.

• 2:12Speaker 04

  And this is Financial Audit.

• 2:15Caleb Hammer?

I have a beef with you guys. I legitimately have a beef with you guys. I was sitting in my precious office, my nice little introverted office, and I wanted to get coffee, so I look over to the kitchen. Oh, Ashley, she's standing there. Okay, great. Five minutes later, oh, Ashley's still standing there. Great. Five minutes later, oh, Ashley's still standing there. So I can't go get a cup of coffee because I don't want to socialize yet. And I thought that was your fault. I thought maybe it was even Lindsay's fault. I thought Lindsay betrayed me. But no. What were we waiting on? Bo was taking a legendary shit for like 30 minutes.

• 2:47Speaker 05

  Go Tigers.

• 2:48Caleb Hammer?

So I couldn't get a coffee because you were ripping your hole apart and stinking up that bathroom for like 90 minutes, Bo. What have you done to yourself, sir?

• 3:00Speaker 03

Ah, I have problems sometimes, and that's what happens. So, you know.

• 3:04Caleb Hammer?

Just one of my damn coffee.

• 3:06Speaker 04

It was a chicken and waffles.

• 3:08Speaker 03

It was a chicken and waffles.

• 3:09Caleb Hammer?

Okay. Ashley, what do you do for a living in New Orleans?

• 3:13Speaker 04

I work in a luxury hospitality for a hotel.

• 3:16Caleb Hammer?

  Oh, what's your position?

• 3:17Speaker 04

I am a catering events sales manager.

• 3:20Caleb Hammer?

Sure, so what do you make?

• 3:21Speaker 04

  Um, as in?

• 3:24Caleb Hammer?

Your income, Ashley. What, what, what, what other answer would there be?

• 3:29Speaker 04

I feel like there could have been a lot of answers.

• 3:31Caleb Hammer?

What do you? When I say what do you make, what do you hear?

• 3:34Speaker 03

Usually what you make, so that'd be nice.

• 3:36Speaker 04

  Hmm. I, um...

• 3:38Speaker 03

  Yearly, monthly?

• 3:39Speaker 04

  Yearly.

• 3:40Caleb Hammer?

Like cakes? Like, what kind of cakes you make?

• 3:43Speaker 04

I make legendary luxury events for my clients.

• 3:46Caleb Hammer?

Yeah, what are you making this job money?

• 3:48Speaker 04

Uh, I take home or my gross or anything.

• 3:51Caleb Hammer?

  Okay, let's do take home.

• 3:52Speaker 04

Take home a month, um, about 1,900.

• 3:57Caleb Hammer?

  All that for that?

• 3:58Speaker 04

  Yeah, I know, it's, it's not enough.

• 4:00Caleb Hammer?

  1,900 bucks a month?

• 4:02Speaker 04

  You should meet my clients.

• 4:03Caleb Hammer?

Listen, you're in a cheap declining area where no one wants to live, so 1,900 can stretch a little further. I mean, New Orleans is what, lost 50% of their population? It was on the decline before Katrina, so. Don't know why you're there anymore. Maybe it's because he's a super fan.

• 4:18Speaker 05

We're coming. And we ain't backing down.

• 4:23Caleb Hammer?

  Other than that.

• 4:24Speaker 03

Oh, big go Tigers all day.

• 4:26Speaker 04

I would live somewhere else, but he is very, uh, loves Louisiana.

• 4:30Speaker 06

I'm here with my family and we are so excited.

• 4:34Caleb Hammer?

Okay, what do you do, Bo, in Louisiana, the place he's a super fan of?

• 4:38Speaker 03

I am an electrician at a nuclear power plant.

• 4:40Caleb Hammer?

Yeah, you are. Yeah, let's go nuclear. I don't know why. Listen, nuclear is incredible, but people are so anti-nuclear, especially across Europe. They're literally nuclear is awesome. You must make a shit ton of money.

• 4:52Speaker 03

  I do.

• 4:52Caleb Hammer?

  Please. What do you make?

• 4:54Speaker 03

I make, take home would be twenty-six hundred a month.

• 4:59Caleb Hammer?

  Some shit ton of money.

• 5:00Speaker 03

I put money in other places as well, so.

• 5:04Caleb Hammer?

  Post, pre-take home?

• 5:06Speaker 03

Well, some of my debts come straight out of my check and then.

• 5:09Caleb Hammer?

Oh, for fuck's sake. What would your take home be if not that? That's insane.

• 5:14Speaker 03

Well, actually, that was higher. My, my check right now is reading two thousand a month.

• 5:19Caleb Hammer?

What? Whoa, whoa, whoa, whoa, whoa, whoa. This is so confusing. Cause I was actually, listen, I, I do go in blind, but I was given a couple volts before and I heard this was a high income, income earning household.

• 5:29Speaker 03

  It is, but when?

• 5:30Caleb Hammer?

No, it's, that's literally, even with twenty-six hundred, it's not. If it's twenty, listen, you make three thousand nine hundred dollars a month. That's, that's our, this is our naming maybe in Louisiana, it's our standard of a high income earning household, but.

• 5:42Speaker 04

Oh, I feel like I lied to you. That's how much I make a check. So double that.

• 5:46Caleb Hammer?

You get one check a month?

• 5:47Speaker 04

  No, I'm bi-.

• 5:47Caleb Hammer?

  Okay, well.

• 5:48Speaker 03

  Oh, me too. That.

• 5:50Caleb Hammer?

  Guys, are you?

• 5:51Speaker 04

  Yes.

• 5:51Caleb Hammer?

  I'm sorry, Louisiana.

• 5:54Speaker 04

We did go to the same, um.

• 5:55Caleb Hammer?

  Louisiana.

• 5:56Speaker 03

We went to the same high school.

• 5:58Caleb Hammer?

Oh, so inbred, I'm assuming as well.

• 6:01Speaker 03

You grow up there, you die there.

• 6:03Speaker 04

  Yeah.

• 6:03Speaker 03

  Each other.

• 6:05Caleb Hammer?

  Okay.

• 6:06Speaker 03

  Make other babies.

• 6:08Speaker 04

  Can you not?

• 6:09Caleb Hammer?

Well, they just had one, so.

• 6:11Speaker 04

  Yeah.

• 6:12Caleb Hammer?

  Is it yet?

• 6:13Speaker 04

  No, he's perfect.

• 6:14Caleb Hammer?

That's why you're upset. How old? When did we have a baby? Congratulations.

• 6:17Speaker 04

Thank you. He is six weeks old.

• 6:19Caleb Hammer?

Wow, and you're already calling it.

• 6:22Speaker 03

  Well, it's half mine, so.

• 6:23Caleb Hammer?

Okay, I'm sure he's gonna be happy growing up and seeing that. Seven thousand eight hundred dollars net, even after mandatory, uh, um, garnishes. Now that is money, okay, and that should stretch super far there. You guys should honestly be killing it. You should be killing it, I'll be honest.

• 6:43Speaker 03

  About that.

• 6:44Caleb Hammer?

Yeah, why aren't you? Cause this stack of paperwork is absolutely huge. And I'm glad you guys had a baby with that income. You could give that baby, especially in a low cost of living area where no one wants to live, an incredible life, other than having to be in that area where no one wants to live. Seven thousand eight hundred is to stretch super far. What the is going on?

• 7:01Speaker 03

Well, that's what we said too, last year when we sat down and we did our W2s and we made $200,000 last year and had nothing to go for it.

• 7:10Caleb Hammer?

Yeah, so we decided to then have a baby. That was an interesting strategic decision.

• 7:15Speaker 03

  Oh, no doubt.

• 7:16Speaker 04

Well, we did that moment where we were like, let's start trying and then it happened in one month and then we were, you know, no going back at that point.

• 7:22Speaker 03

  This one was strong.

• 7:25Caleb Hammer?

When you work in the nuclear power plant. What the is happening, guys? What the is happening?

• 7:30Speaker 04

Well, we say we, 80, 20 impulse control problems where, uh, when he sees something that he just has to have regardless of the dollar sign, he'll just buy it and then tell me about it later.

• 7:43Speaker 03

  But it's cool stuff.

• 7:44Caleb Hammer?

Like what? What's a cool stuff? What's a cool stuff that is more important than your child?

• 7:47Speaker 03

Like a boat, a side by side, a jet skiing.

• 7:51Caleb Hammer?

Yeah, a boat. A boat for literally the worst area of the Gulf.

• 7:56Speaker 04

No, we do live on the bayou. We live on outside of New Orleans, south of New Orleans.

• 8:00Caleb Hammer?

  Okay, so gators?

• 8:01Speaker 04

  Yes.

• 8:01Speaker 03

  Yes, gators all day.

• 8:03Caleb Hammer?

Great, that's what I want to be boating with.

• 8:05Speaker 04

  Yeah. Yeah.

• 8:06Caleb Hammer?

I want to get in the water when I go on a boat.

• 8:08Speaker 04

  You can.

• 8:09Speaker 03

  You can.

• 8:09Caleb Hammer?

  Yeah, but gators.

• 8:10Speaker 03

You can come visit us. I'll have an alligator on a leash waiting for you.

• 8:13Caleb Hammer?

  Actually?

• 8:14Speaker 03

  Actually.

• 8:14Speaker 04

  No.

• 8:16Speaker 03

I did it for my cousins.

• 8:19Speaker 04

  You're breaking his brain.

• 8:21Caleb Hammer?

  No, it's just like.

• 8:24Caleb Hammer?

It's like you people are exist only on the screen, which I guess for these people you are only on the screen, but for me, you're in real life right now. And it's kind of crazy.

• 8:33Speaker 03

  Oh, we exist.

• 8:34Caleb Hammer?

Okay, okay. So listen, if you're making 200,000 hours a year, you just going and spending some money shouldn't make or break. Now a boat is crazy. How much does a boat cost? What boat did we get boat?

• 8:45Speaker 03

Well, this is a gator tail boat.

• 8:47Caleb Hammer?

  A gator tail boat?

• 8:48Speaker 03

  Yes.

• 8:49Caleb Hammer?

Oh, my goodness. This is so fucking swamp heads.

• 8:52Speaker 03

  Oh, no doubt.

• 8:53Speaker 04

But swamp people on TV, it's not real.

• 8:55Caleb Hammer?

What are you talking about? You guys are literally living that in reality in front of me right now. You guys are those people on TV. That's what I am saying.

• 9:03Speaker 03

Yeah, but them alligators ain't mean like they put on swamp people.

• 9:06Caleb Hammer?

Come on, I've been in front of alligators and I've seen them snap at turtles and shit. They're mean.

• 9:11Speaker 03

But they don't, I mean, I got scars on my hands from it.

• 9:14Caleb Hammer?

Yeah, it sounds like a really nice pet.

• 9:16Speaker 03

  It's not that bad.

• 9:17Caleb Hammer?

Okay, I'm still confused. This boat, how much did it cost? Cause that should not make or break.

• 9:22Speaker 00

• 9:51Caleb Hammer?

  Our entire life.

• 9:52Speaker 04

Oh, he has multiple toys. It's not just the boat.

• 9:55Caleb Hammer?

  So is it all him?

• 9:56Speaker 04

  Yes.

• 9:57Caleb Hammer?

Okay, why are you with her? Cause this is her household too. You guys are married?

• 10:02Speaker 03

  Yes.

• 10:02Caleb Hammer?

  How long?

• 10:03Speaker 04

We just made a year in September.

• 10:05Caleb Hammer?

Why are you trying to destroy this thing a year in?

• 10:08Speaker 03

I had that before the marriage and she still.

• 10:10Caleb Hammer?

Okay, then why did you stick around? What the is going on?

• 10:13Speaker 03

  Our first date.

• 10:14Caleb Hammer?

Someone that can't be controlled, a project. This is an infant in project. I don't think this is something that's actually being repaired in any way whatsoever.

• 10:21Speaker 03

Our first date was in a boat.

• 10:22Caleb Hammer?

  I'm not saying a man.

• 10:23Speaker 04

He also flipped me out of a boat. The same day our friend got bit by an alligator. It was not a good day.

• 10:28Caleb Hammer?

  My goodness, guys.

• 10:29Speaker 04

  I'm not kidding. That's a real story.

• 10:30Caleb Hammer?

Swamp people are creatures. Guys, listen. Okay, I'm so happy I exist in society.

• 10:37Caleb Hammer?

That sounds miserable. Swamp man, listen.

• 10:42Caleb Hammer?

You're buying toys, you're up the finances. Why does that not matter to you? I'm not saying you don't get our boats. Why doesn't I, why do you not give a

• 10:50Speaker 03

Cause the money's gonna keep coming.

• 10:51Caleb Hammer?

And not necessarily nuclear power plants. We're a little more pro nuclear right now, but nuclear power plants have been known to be shut down. Yeah, out of fear mongering policies.

• 10:59Speaker 03

Yeah, but people are starting to get a little more.

• 11:01Caleb Hammer?

Are literally so like literally like that's not a joke. They're literally Louisiana is a state. Like full state.

• 11:12Speaker 03

The parish we live in is actually called Cancer Alley.

• 11:17Caleb Hammer?

Internal tourism, if the economy goes south, that also goes down. And who knows, we haven't had a lovely, real recession in a hot second, like an actual, actual recession.

• 11:29Caleb Hammer?

Like it might be on our horizon naturally. Ciclic, it might actually be there.

• 11:37Speaker 03

  Yeah, that's what

• 11:37Caleb Hammer?

  Waiting for us.

• 11:38Speaker 03

I think it'll be all right, though.

• 11:39Caleb Hammer?

Maybe I, you would be more all right, but you might lose half the income. So just to say that we can just around because the money will always be coming in. No, that's not how this works. You think that's probably what people thought in 2008. Then everyone got fucked. Sure, a house is harder to get, but I mean, you guys, other than that, best jobs, best economy, best actual sources of being able to have fun and luxury than any other point in human history. That's why you guys don't think anything bad would happen. You never would.

• 12:10Speaker 04

  I was furloughed during covid.

• 12:12Caleb Hammer?

  Okay, and how long?

• 12:14Speaker 04

Um, I lost my job in March of 2020 and I didn't start working until January.

• 12:18Caleb Hammer?

  And what'd you guys do?

• 12:19Speaker 03

At the time I was still an electrician.

• 12:21Speaker 04

  Yeah.

• 12:22Caleb Hammer?

So what'd you guys do though? You lost half your income.

• 12:24Speaker 04

  We weren't together.

• 12:24Speaker 03

That's actually what got us together. It's because she lost her job and was forced to move home. And I was already home still. She was in California.

• 12:31Speaker 04

  I lived in California.

• 12:32Caleb Hammer?

  Our siblings?

• 12:35Speaker 04

I lived in California when I lost my job. I stayed in California. And then after I couldn't find another job, I came home to New Orleans and

• 12:44Caleb Hammer?

Why? California has a lot of issues, but at least it's civilization.

• 12:48Speaker 04

Well, I had to go home. I had nowhere to, I couldn't pay rent. I couldn't get a job.

• 12:52Caleb Hammer?

That makes sense. But wasn't rent completely on pause?

• 12:54Speaker 04

  Yeah, it was.

• 12:55Caleb Hammer?

  In California?

• 12:55Speaker 04

  It was, yeah.

• 12:57Speaker 03

She was getting fat unemployment checks too.

• 13:00Speaker 04

  I was.

• 13:00Caleb Hammer?

Or fat, which one? No, that's the pregnancy. We don't blame you for that. Okay. Okay, listen.

• 13:08Caleb Hammer?

Something might happen. You can't just fuck around. And if you do care and you say it's an endless project, that's a good cope. What are the actual conversations in this household that revolve in finances? Like, come on, I'll be completely honest. I'm, I'm looking here. The reality is this dude just spends a shit ton of money gambling. You're not giving up.

• 13:26Speaker 04

  I do.

• 13:27Caleb Hammer?

Then where's, where's your backbone? What are we doing? What are the conversations in this household? Dude's fucking up everything.

• 13:34Speaker 03

  I'm good at gambling, though.

• 13:36Speaker 04

He doesn't think he has a problem because he doesn't lose, but he does lose.

• 13:39Caleb Hammer?

Doesn't lose ever? That's impossible. That is not.

• 13:41Speaker 03

  Not ever.

• 13:41Caleb Hammer?

The best lose. What are you talking about?

• 13:44Speaker 03

Well, I'm not that great at the casino, but sports betting?

• 13:49Speaker 04

And we're in Texas, so he can't sports bet the whole time we were here.

• 13:52Speaker 03

Dude, I was so mad when I-

• 13:53Caleb Hammer?

What? Brandon, can we not sports bet here in Texas?

• 13:57Speaker 07

You can't like caution them now, but like actual sports betting. I think the one that Jake bought, you can't like other ones.

• 14:03Caleb Hammer?

Oh, so it depends on the platform. Okay. I was gonna say, cause Robert knows sports betting.

• 14:06Speaker 03

You probably shouldn't have told me that. Probably shouldn't have told me that.

• 14:09Caleb Hammer?

Well, okay. So, listen, with that, that means you obviously have an addiction. If you can't fucking control yourself, once you find out you can.

• 14:16Speaker 03

Is it an addiction if you're not losing?

• 14:18Caleb Hammer?

If you can't control yourself, yes.

• 14:19Speaker 03

  Probably so. I had a-

• 14:22Caleb Hammer?

If you're not losing, people aren't losing, run the gooning to p- doesn't mean they can't be addicted to p-

• 14:27Speaker 03

I had a little- Had a little come to Jesus moment yesterday when I couldn't bet.

• 14:31Caleb Hammer?

  Yesterday, just yesterday.

• 14:32Speaker 03

Yeah. I was scratching demons out my face because I couldn't bet.

• 14:35Caleb Hammer?

Guys, you refuse so far to tell me how the conversations are in this household regarding finances.

• 14:40Speaker 04

  They're mostly yelling.

• 14:41Caleb Hammer?

Tell me! Please, fucking tell me!

• 14:44Speaker 04

So he has this thing where he does it, doesn't tell me, then blindsides me. We fight about it, and then we talk-

• 14:49Caleb Hammer?

Okay, what does that look like? Give me an example.

• 14:51Speaker 04

All right, which one? Let's start with the side by side. So he bought, which is an ATV. Okay, this is when we're just dating. We are not, we're living in our first home together that he purchased, that I moved from California, moved in with him. And I, at the time, we were, you know, we share locations with each other, and it was getting pretty late, and I was like, he should be home soon. So I took a little gander at it, and he was in Mississippi. And I was like, this is very sketch, right? So I'm like, hey, what you doing? And he lied about where he was. Now, I have very, I have a lot of trust. So like, I didn't think right away he was cheating. I was like, he's doing something stupid.

• 15:27Speaker 03

  Yeah, could have been cheating.

• 15:29Speaker 04

Yeah, no. So he comes home, pulls up to the, I'm fuming because I know he's lying. Well, I'm not going to catch him in a lie till he gets home. So I just roll with it. I'm like, okay, I'm just going to roll with this lie because I know it's going to eventually come to an end. He pulls up to the house with a trailer behind his truck with a ATV on it, big side by side. So he went out and purchased this and came back. And I look through the window, watch him pull up and I was like, oh, this is even getting juicier. Like I am about to blow my top.

• 15:56Caleb Hammer?

  Yeah.

• 15:56Speaker 04

He comes through the door to tell me, he surprised me with a.

• 16:01Speaker 03

  It's for us.

• 16:02Speaker 04

It's for you. And I was like, that is not for me. You did not purchase that for me. What like, start from the top, don't leave any details out. So go, I'll give you time that the floor is yours. So I'm silently fuming while he's trying to justify his actions of going and buying this side by side.

• 16:20Speaker 03

And we use it all the time.

• 16:23Speaker 04

Yeah, now, that was a couple of years ago. How about you use it, we.

• 16:27Caleb Hammer?

And you say it goes into an argument though. What does this look like, finance conversations?

• 16:32Speaker 04

  We go to.

• 16:33Speaker 03

My endless justifications until she just says, all right.

• 16:38Speaker 04

Then I asked him like where the money came from because I know that we didn't have just cash to purchase this thing, which I think it was like $11,000.

• 16:46Speaker 03

  That was 12.

• 16:47Caleb Hammer?

And how frequently does this happen?

• 16:48Speaker 04

Um, the side by side was the first, I guess.

• 16:52Speaker 03

  Every few months this happens.

• 16:54Speaker 04

  Yeah.

• 16:54Caleb Hammer?

No, and then the same thing happens every single time? You just do it without a single conversation. And she finds out, she blows up and then, and then you do it again? Why, why is no one changing anything?

• 17:06Speaker 03

I'm a little better now, at least.

• 17:08Caleb Hammer?

You just got a boat, a gator boat.

• 17:10Speaker 04

  No, he's been having that.

• 17:12Caleb Hammer?

  Okay.

• 17:12Speaker 03

Well, I did, I did just get the upgraded engine too.

• 17:15Speaker 04

  What?

• 17:16Speaker 03

No, that was like six months ago. No, that was about a year ago.

• 17:19Caleb Hammer?

  Did she even know this?

• 17:20Speaker 04

  No.

• 17:22Speaker 03

You knew I upgraded the engine.

• 17:23Caleb Hammer?

Dude, she's your fucking wife. Why don't you guys have conversations? Why don't you talk to her?

• 17:28Speaker 03

I'm better now. I at least mention it to her now. Well, I'll mention something like that and then it just shows up at the house.

• 17:34Caleb Hammer?

So instead of waiting for it to show up, you just tell her it's on the way. But it's still post, decision's already been made. She gets absolutely no ability to speak on it.

• 17:43Speaker 03

I just get really excited about it.

• 17:45Caleb Hammer?

I do too. And I have to tamper my excitement because I make a lot more than you, so I can do a lot more fun things. Uh, I still don't let myself because I know I get excited and then maybe I'll use it for like a second. And it's just like, that doesn't mean it's always good.

• 18:00Speaker 03

I at least use the stuff I buy. I do use the stuff.

• 18:03Caleb Hammer?

  Yeah, but.

• 18:04Speaker 03

Except for the jet ski, but.

• 18:06Caleb Hammer?

Exactly. There's, there's always things that get bought because it's exciting. Some things get used more than others, but it's still, I mean, it's a toy.

• 18:14Speaker 03

  It is a toy.

• 18:15Caleb Hammer?

It's a toy. Look, look at this stack, dude. Look at this stack.

• 18:18Speaker 04

No, the worst toy of all, which I have no justification on, and I don't even know how much it is because I'm too scared to ask because he didn't tell me, is a medieval sword that he bought. I do know that he spent an additional

• 18:32Speaker 03

It's nice. You want to see it?

• 18:33Speaker 04

$200. I do know that amount to have it professionally sharpened.

• 18:43Speaker 04

  I'm not kidding you.

• 18:44Caleb Hammer?

  For what, dude? Why?

• 18:45Speaker 04

And it's hanging on the wall.

• 18:46Speaker 03

Because if somebody breaks in my house, I don't want to use a gun.

• 18:50Caleb Hammer?

  Is this Sword of Gondor?

• 18:51Speaker 03

Yes, it is. That's a fact.

• 18:53Speaker 04

I hate that you said that just now. That was like.

• 18:55Speaker 03

  You a fan?

• 18:56Caleb Hammer?

She started typing Lord of the Ring and I immediately knew. I mean, because it's a sexy sword, but it's like.

• 19:01Speaker 03

  Yeah, it is.

• 19:02Caleb Hammer?

But like, what about your dad? What about your family? What about your kids? What about your wife?

• 19:05Speaker 03

  It wasn't that much money.

• 19:07Speaker 04

How much was it? Tell me.

• 19:09Speaker 03

  It was 800.

• 19:10Speaker 04

I, plus 200 to have it short, but.

• 19:12Speaker 03

No, no, no. That was with, that was with it.

• 19:14Caleb Hammer?

But it's still just money that if we're just endlessly doing this, why are you still there? I know you love him. I'm not discounting love, but this dude does not improve in any way whatsoever. You get no ability to speak on purchases before they happen. It's like your opinion doesn't matter. And then you choose to bring a kid into the world and get married last year? Why are you still here?

• 19:34Speaker 03

Well, she's stuck. No, she's got the kid.

• 19:36Caleb Hammer?

  Yeah, I know.

• 19:37Speaker 03

You gotta deal with me forever now.

• 19:39Speaker 04

Cause in the long, I mean, like if you look at the bigger picture, it is a very small thing in our relationship.

• 19:45Caleb Hammer?

What? No, your finances are a huge thing. It's one of the leading causes for divorce in this country. What are you talking about? It's a huge thing. It's not a small thing.

• 19:51Speaker 04

  Maybe I'm too nice. I don't know.

• 19:52Caleb Hammer?

No, you're coping. Cause you like the guy and you're still fresh in the marriage. How long were you dating before the marriage?

• 19:58Speaker 04

  Four years?

• 19:59Speaker 03

Yeah, four years and then a little light stalking for 10 years.

• 20:02Speaker 04

We've known each other our whole lives.

• 20:04Caleb Hammer?

With his around, you were first forced to pay the mortgage for six months alone.

• 20:08Speaker 04

  I bought the house.

• 20:09Caleb Hammer?

  Yeah.

• 20:10Speaker 04

Yeah. Because his credit score wasn't good enough.

• 20:12Caleb Hammer?

Yeah, but what the, why aren't you stepping up? Why, why are you having to be the adult? You know, you have two children.

• 20:19Speaker 04

  Yes, I do know that.

• 20:20Caleb Hammer?

And you're okay with it though. Cause you don't seem to actually like, you'll blow up, but then it's just like, it'll happen again. So like, there's actual no impact on anything. And you don't seem to give a, if we're being honest, gambling, toys, you name it.

• 20:35Caleb Hammer?

Doesn't matter. Taking 30 minute shits in my bathroom. It doesn't matter.

• 20:40Speaker 03

We weren't supposed to know about that part. I actually did mention that to her that you had ju- well, one episode I was just watching, somebody did blow it up. And I was like, that's one thing I don't want to do.

• 20:49Caleb Hammer?

And then you did. I didn't go in this time, but.

• 20:51Speaker 03

Well, it's cause she took forever to get ready this morning. So I wasn't able to do it in the hotel.

• 20:55Caleb Hammer?

That doesn't make any sense. Smoke her out, dude. With your shit.

• 21:00Speaker 04

  He did.

• 21:01Speaker 03

I shit on a whole separate floor at the house.

• 21:03Speaker 04

  Yeah.

• 21:03Caleb Hammer?

Listen, oh, okay. Dude, we get away from my point. You don't give a.

• 21:09Speaker 04

  No.

• 21:10Caleb Hammer?

And you don't seem to give a either. Cause you blow up once and then you just don't care until it happens again.

• 21:15Speaker 04

I think I just run out of energy.

• 21:17Speaker 03

  Sometimes there's a lot of hindsight 2020.

• 21:19Caleb Hammer?

Dude, but you do it every few months. So like, what are you talking about? And you're gambling like every day or at least every game.

• 21:24Speaker 03

Yeah, but I, I win on that.

• 21:25Caleb Hammer?

Every single time. You've never had a loss.

• 21:27Speaker 03

No, I did not say that. I'm saying overall, I have a, I have a.

• 21:30Caleb Hammer?

  I don't even know.

• 21:31Speaker 03

I have a list. Oh, my entire casino career? I have a list of it.

• 21:35Caleb Hammer?

You said casinos you do not do well on.

• 21:37Speaker 03

Not casino career. My sports betting career, I have a list of the entire career right now.

• 21:42Caleb Hammer?

  And?

• 21:43Speaker 04

The only thing he writes down as far as a budget.

• 21:45Speaker 03

  Oh.

• 21:45Caleb Hammer?

  And?

• 21:46Speaker 03

And I'm up 7,000 in college football and I'm since 2020.

• 21:51Caleb Hammer?

Dude, imagine how much more money if that energy was spent somewhere else. Imagine how much more money you would have made if that money was invested in the markets in 2020 where the S and P 500 is up like 70%.

• 22:02Speaker 03

Be a decent little chunk of change.

• 22:04Caleb Hammer?

Yeah, it would be a great chunk of change. Okay, so 7,000 on sports betting, but what about your kid? Because you know with gambling, all it takes is that 7,000 can go away and like.

• 22:14Speaker 03

Well, it does on Sunday when I don't do well in the NFL.

• 22:16Caleb Hammer?

  And what's your NFL record?

• 22:18Speaker 03

Minus 2,000. Yeah, I'd like to bet 100 bucks.

• 22:21Caleb Hammer?

You want to pick a team? No, just take it. Exactly. So nat 5.

• 22:25Speaker 03

  Yeah.

• 22:26Caleb Hammer?

You've made $5,000 in literally six years.

• 22:30Speaker 03

  It could be.

• 22:30Caleb Hammer?

  That's, that's nothing.

• 22:32Speaker 03

  I could be down 30,000.

• 22:34Caleb Hammer?

Well, that would be horrendous and you also still wouldn't care and you would do nothing about it. So I just don't understand what the future of this relationship looks like and the future of the finances. Because neither of you seem to care enough to do anything. You care in the moment, in one moment of a conversation, but after that conversation, it's nothing.

• 22:51Speaker 03

Well, that's why, that's when I applied to the show was when we had the kid. I was like, I really gotta get it together in some kind of way.

• 22:58Caleb Hammer?

Well, you know, she was pregnant for quite a few months before that. Why didn't I tell the birthing?

• 23:03Speaker 03

  I didn't see him.

• 23:04Caleb Hammer?

Are you, what is wrong with you? What are you talking about? That is so stupid. You're about to be a father, dude.

• 23:10Speaker 03

  I am now, but I didn't really, I don't, I don't think I came to realization that I was about to be a father until I was a father.

• 23:16Caleb Hammer?

  That's so selfish, though.

• 23:19Caleb Hammer?

This is a life that is not consenting to come into the world that you need to take care of because it was your choice.

• 23:24Speaker 03

He's very well loved and provided for.

• 23:26Caleb Hammer?

Loved is different from having a good, successful future. Gambling has an easy way of throwing everything into chaos. Gambling has an easy way of taking all the money we have and throwing it to zero and getting laid off in hospitality, which you've already been experienced through. Who knows when our next emergency might happen?

• 23:43Speaker 03

And that's why, that's why I stopped at the casino because I wasn't doing very well.

• 23:47Caleb Hammer?

It's not just about that, buddy. You will probably have a better return on your investment across the board, just paying off 30% interest debt. You're already getting garnished for who knows why, we'll find out soon. But at that point, that is a better return on your money than any kind of gambling win. Unless you get like a, no, we're not even gonna talk about. Nevermind, I'm not even gonna talk about gambling that where you can make a lot of money. No, it's not even about that.

• 24:08Speaker 03

I almost won $130,000 one night.

• 24:10Caleb Hammer?

  See, that's the thing.

• 24:11Speaker 06

Oh, hell yeah. Let it ride. Let it ride. Two red, you lose.

• 24:16Caleb Hammer?

  Listen.

• 24:19Caleb Hammer?

This is what your child will have to deal with. This is what I dealt with when I grew, was growing up. You guys made well more money, amount of money when you had your first kid than when I was born. But dude, I mean, I grew up in a house full of credit card debt. It's not good. Makes it hard to pay for college, makes it hard to pay for bills. You see the stress, you see the conversations. You want your kid to see the blowups that happen when all the, because you just bottle it in both. You just bottle it in. You don't do any action. You don't do any conversations until it completely just blows up. You don't give a, your kid's gonna see that and grow up with that. That's what you want? So no, that's why you change shit while she's pregnant.

• 24:55Speaker 04

I think the root of the problem is I don't know it. I don't see it and I don't know it because we don't have a joint account.

• 25:00Caleb Hammer?

  Why?

• 25:01Speaker 04

We honestly, we just haven't gone to it.

• 25:03Speaker 03

We're together, but we're not together, together financially.

• 25:07Caleb Hammer?

Oh, that's nice to hear when you have a kid.

• 25:09Speaker 04

Not our relationship, the finances. Like, his money is mine and mine is his.

• 25:14Caleb Hammer?

Okay, you say you just haven't gotten to it. Is that what you say as well?

• 25:16Speaker 03

  Yes.

• 25:16Caleb Hammer?

Too lazy? Why does your guys' future not matter where laziness is more important?

• 25:22Speaker 04

I don't have an answer to that.

• 25:23Speaker 03

It's been good. I mean, we've been getting better.

• 25:25Caleb Hammer?

You suck with money. So you download a budgeting app. You start with the classic one, YNAB, but everyone just deletes it because it's way too complicated to use. So you go to Every Dollar. That's Dave Ramsey, the personal finance guy, right? Well, they're gonna force you to use it his way. That's not very personal finances. Rocket Money, they got a lot of commercials, but they're owned by Rocket Mortgage. Guess what they want to sell you in the end? Then there's the new guy on the block, Monarch. Hundreds of millions of dollars of private equity raising so far, but private equity doesn't have the best track record when it comes to private data. That's why I like Dollar Wise. Built by these people just like you for people just like you.

• 26:06Caleb Hammer?

No private equity, no gimmicks, just the best budgeting app there is. Download it now, start the free trial, dollarwise.com, link in the description below. That's kind of fucking stupid, I'll be honest, but... What's not is actually getting a checking account that gives you free money. Free money. We like free money. You can get up to $350 in bonus cash right now. When you sign up for the checking account that I use, Chime. Also, it makes your savings grow at a 3.5 APY interest rate. Guys, you can watch Financial Odd and get free money at the same time. Who would have thought? That's incredible. Check it out. Link in the description below. Sign up for Chime. Get that $350 right now in your checking account. What do you mean getting better? Listen.

• 26:49Speaker 03

We've been having some bad months.

• 26:50Caleb Hammer?

Here, you told one of our producers that this was your best month of finances. You gave us the best month and it's literally horrendously disgusting in every way whatsoever. We know how much money comes in. It is good money. How much money went out this month? What was your outflow?

• 27:07Caleb Hammer?

Inflow's good as usual with you guys. You have a good income. Your income is not your issue. That's for sure. What was your outflow? Doesn't even include, by the way, the garnishments that you face, but. What do we think?

• 27:21Speaker 04

  For this month?

• 27:22Caleb Hammer?

Yeah, you first. The best month. You sent us what was considered the best month.

• 27:26Speaker 03

  You first.

• 27:27Caleb Hammer?

  I think it was.

• 27:28Speaker 04

Well, I don't know. I do have a problem where I don't track anything. That was a question.

• 27:33Caleb Hammer?

  What do you think?

• 27:34Speaker 00

• 28:04Caleb Hammer?

Just based on your experience, your lived experience that month, which was last month, it looks like, honestly.

• 28:10Speaker 03

  This bill's everything.

• 28:11Caleb Hammer?

  Everything, all outflow. Come on.

• 28:14Speaker 04

I don't know, probably a couple of grand.

• 28:16Speaker 03

  Two grand?

• 28:17Speaker 04

  No, more than that.

• 28:18Speaker 03

  I was about to say.

• 28:19Speaker 04

  Two grand is our mortgage.

• 28:20Caleb Hammer?

Then why'd you say a couple of grand? That's two grand.

• 28:22Speaker 04

No, a couple could be more than two.

• 28:25Speaker 03

We make eight thousand together. So what'd you think went out?

• 28:28Speaker 04

We definitely didn't spend our full paychecks. I'd say it's about 60% of what we brought in, we probably put out.

• 28:34Caleb Hammer?

  Where would the rest go?

• 28:36Speaker 04

  I have a savings account.

• 28:41Caleb Hammer?

  Uh huh.

• 28:41Speaker 04

So I put a lot of mine in my savings account.

• 28:44Speaker 03

To answer your question, I'll say nine thousand.

• 28:46Caleb Hammer?

Yeah, not enough for your household, but.

• 28:47Speaker 04

  Yeah.

• 28:48Caleb Hammer?

Uh huh. Okay. Yeah. It was, it was, let's see. I had it. Nineteen thousand, nine hundred eighty seven dollars and ninety five cents.

• 28:57Speaker 04

Nineteen thousand? We spent in one month? See, this is my problem. I don't look.

• 29:01Caleb Hammer?

What you consider to be your best month? The total income that happened because Bo made literally four times what he says he makes was twelve thousand, nine hundred eighty five is what came in. Maybe it was an extra paycheck month bonus?

• 29:13Speaker 03

No, that was because I just came off of working an outage. So I made like, I think I made twelve. Yeah, it's overtime and I get a per diem check.

• 29:22Caleb Hammer?

You made, you made basically thirteen thousand, but you still, still spent twenty thousand.

• 29:27Speaker 04

How the hell did we do that?

• 29:28Speaker 03

Part of that was paying, I put like five thousand to a credit card.

• 29:32Speaker 04

Oh yeah, that aggravates me so bad.

• 29:34Caleb Hammer?

Yeah, but, but net wouldn't be counted towards it if that wasn't immediately replenished.

• 29:39Speaker 04

  Yeah.

• 29:40Speaker 03

  Then I don't know.

• 29:42Speaker 04

I'm actually shocked that we spent nineteen thousand in a month.

• 29:45Speaker 03

  Oh, I wasn't.

• 29:47Caleb Hammer?

It's not just full spend. It's outflow across the board, but.

• 29:50Speaker 04

Yeah. I, I don't know. I think I just, I pick my battles and I, we will argue, but then he says something to aggravate me and then I say I'm done with the conversation and it moves on.

• 30:02Caleb Hammer?

But if this is considered a good month, what the is the rest of the months, guys? You told our producers this was a good month.

• 30:10Speaker 03

It was, but part of that was because I did have a lot of inflow.

• 30:14Caleb Hammer?

So that's my concern with you guys is you only think about the income side. You do not think about anything after the income. Joint? No, we don't even think about that. Savings? No, it's just on your side a little.

• 30:23Speaker 03

She actually pays, she actually does get a little bit of saving, savings.

• 30:27Caleb Hammer?

I know, but not enough for the entire household with what your guys' expenses are. You guys stop at the income. That's it. You're just looking at the number that comes in. And that's it. You don't care about what goes out after that. As long as the money that comes in is good, it doesn't matter what happens.

• 30:43Speaker 04

  Yeah.

• 30:44Caleb Hammer?

That's where people end up in situations that are worse than just being low incomers.

• 30:49Speaker 03

  Everything's paid, so.

• 30:51Caleb Hammer?

Not necessarily. What do you mean? You're getting garnished, asshole. You don't get garnished if everything's being paid. Then why would money be going to debt before it hits your account? That's garnishment.

• 31:00Speaker 03

Because it's through, it's through the credit union that I work for. So they just take it straight out of my check.

• 31:06Caleb Hammer?

Okay, well, we'll also see because anytime anyone says, "We pay our bills", there's always like a late fee somewhere in here. And we'll see. Then why would you say you pay your [bleep] shit, dude?

• 31:18Speaker 03

  Late isn't not paying.

• 31:20Caleb Hammer?

Buddy, I'm literally being told you overdrafted your checking account by like a thousand bucks a month.

• 31:25Speaker 03

Not this time, but I have in the past. That was last year. Not last year.

• 31:30Speaker 04

  Last year?

• 31:31Speaker 03

No, not last year. That was right before we sold the house.

• 31:35Speaker 04

You overdrafted by a thousand dollars?

• 31:37Caleb Hammer?

  One month?

• 31:38Speaker 04

I'm, I'm so over being on the dark side.

• 31:40Caleb Hammer?

Oh, Lindsay's telling me he was, he actually hid that from you. I guess he found this out. Okay, so Lindsay had a conversation with you guys. And then she had a call the other night with him. He was blabbering, blabbering, sharing all these secrets. She only learned at the end that he was probably [bleep] drunk, just blabbering things that he doesn't even know what he's talking about.

• 31:57Speaker 03

I was pretty toasted. I was pretty toasted.

• 31:59Speaker 04

  Yeah, I wasn't, I wasn't home. No, I wasn't home.

• 32:02Caleb Hammer?

No, you didn't even know that, um, that he literally was hiding all this overdraft from me right before marriage.

• 32:09Speaker 03

  I was.

• 32:10Speaker 04

Yeah, I didn't know any of that.

• 32:11Speaker 03

  I didn't want to.

• 32:12Caleb Hammer?

And look at this. It seems like you honestly don't even give a [bleep]. This is my concern. I don't, I think you guys are just not gonna care to the grave. You'll just be in debt forever. Neither of you care.

• 32:22Speaker 03

It all ended up working out.

• 32:23Caleb Hammer?

Oh, she just learned you were drunk. Once you ended up here, you told her.

• 32:26Speaker 03

Yeah, when we were in the green room.

• 32:27Caleb Hammer?

Why? Why are you just plastered, blabbering to Lindsay?

• 32:31Speaker 03

The truth, I was about to go to a poker night.

• 32:33Caleb Hammer?

Poker night? Dude, what, your entire life revolves around gambling and maybe now even drinking. Dude, it was 4:00 PM. Lindsay's telling me. You can't drink when you want to.

• 32:42Speaker 04

Pretty soon we're gonna become this country.

• 32:44Speaker 03

It was, the poker game was for five.

• 32:46Speaker 04

  No, he was-

• 32:47Caleb Hammer?

Why were you plastered at four?

• 32:49Speaker 03

Cause I was doing work outside and my partner came over and we were-

• 32:53Caleb Hammer?

  What?

• 32:53Speaker 03

We were drinking and, we were drinking and playing with electricity, so-

• 32:56Speaker 04

  Padna. He meant his friend-

• 32:58Caleb Hammer?

  What is this?

• 32:58Speaker 04

  His friend.

• 32:59Speaker 03

  Partner.

• 33:00Speaker 04

His friend. He, his friend came over to help him run electrical from the house to the shop and they hung out all day. I left with the baby and-

• 33:09Caleb Hammer?

So let's get drunk playing with wires? That's the America I know!

• 33:14Speaker 04

  Yes.

• 33:14Speaker 03

  Yes.

• 33:15Caleb Hammer?

  With electricity?

• 33:16Speaker 03

  Yes.

• 33:17Caleb Hammer?

  Drunk?

• 33:17Speaker 03

  Yeah.

• 33:21Caleb Hammer?

  Surrounded by water?

• 33:22Speaker 03

Yeah. It was actually raining on us.

• 33:24Caleb Hammer?

You know you have a child, right?

• 33:26Speaker 03

  It was raining on it.

• 33:27Speaker 04

So then, that led into said-

• 33:29Caleb Hammer?

No, I want you to be alive for your child.

• 33:33Speaker 03

That's all good. Electricity ain't never hurt anybody.

• 33:35Caleb Hammer?

Yeah, historically, that's known to be true.

• 33:37Speaker 04

No, so him and his friend, him and his friend, his friend decided to say, "Let's throw a poker night," at hi- and smart enough to say, "I can't do that at my house, do it at your house because my wife will kill me." So they go to his house.

• 33:52Speaker 03

I'm so ready to start hosting at the house again.

• 33:54Speaker 04

Then he called me, I called him to ask him to please change the laundry. That's all I needed out of him and then he started with, I could hear it in his voice-

• 34:01Speaker 03

  I did change the laundry.

• 34:02Speaker 04

You did, you did. I could hear in his voice that he'd been drinking and I was like, "You're like already sloshy slosh," and then-

• 34:08Caleb Hammer?

  At four is wild.

• 34:10Speaker 04

And he's like, "I'm gonna go to poker," and I asked him not to-

• 34:12Speaker 03

It's not like you're drunk at four every day.

• 34:13Caleb Hammer?

What day of the week? Okay, well, that is the best day. I guess if you're gonna do it-

• 34:20Speaker 03

Y'all live right next to Texas.

• 34:21Caleb Hammer?

  How'd you get there?

• 34:22Speaker 03

  Huh?

• 34:23Caleb Hammer?

  Huh? Next to Texas? What?

• 34:25Speaker 03

UT, I should say. Yeah, you know it, tailgated at UT?

• 34:29Caleb Hammer?

  I didn't go to UT.

• 34:30Speaker 03

You still never went out there? Oh, never mind, you're from Michigan, I'll take that back.

• 34:34Caleb Hammer?

I've been to a couple UT games, but I'm also not a drinker, I'm a wealth builder, an entrepreneur.

• 34:42Speaker 03

Alright, I got nothing for that one.

• 34:44Caleb Hammer?

Um, okay, but, well, I just don't like the taste if I'm being completely honest. But, how'd you get to the house then after being sloshed at 4pm on a Saturday? Listen, actually, if you were tailgating, that is when I would excuse it, but you were just literally playing with wires in the rain, not water.

• 35:01Speaker 03

Well, I drove the side by side, trespassing through the trails to get to my partner's house.

• 35:06Caleb Hammer?

Why do you say it like?

• 35:07Speaker 03

Have a, that's just what we say.

• 35:09Caleb Hammer?

  Who?

• 35:10Speaker 03

  Everyone.

• 35:10Caleb Hammer?

The five people that live in the swamp?

• 35:12Speaker 03

Yeah. You take the side by side? I could've said the pierog through to.

• 35:17Caleb Hammer?

  The what?

• 35:18Speaker 03

Buy you to your partner's house.

• 35:19Caleb Hammer?

  What are you saying?

• 35:20Speaker 03

  A canoe.

• 35:20Caleb Hammer?

And you said the swamp people are only like on TV. You guys are those people, you just don't know it.

• 35:26Speaker 03

  I'm sorry.

• 35:26Caleb Hammer?

It's just too normal to you. You drunk drove? You have a kid?

• 35:30Speaker 03

Yeah, but this is through the trees.

• 35:32Caleb Hammer?

Isn't that even more dangerous? There's trees everywhere.

• 35:34Speaker 03

  I go slow.

• 35:35Speaker 04

This was an argument when he got home.

• 35:36Caleb Hammer?

Hey, guess what? You don't give a shit about anything.

• 35:39Speaker 04

  I know.

• 35:39Caleb Hammer?

You get upset once, you never put your foot down, and you have no spine. I'm not trying to blame you on the mistakes of his, but when have you ever advocated for yourself in any way? Past just an exact moment.

• 35:50Speaker 03

  If it's something serious.

• 35:51Caleb Hammer?

  You never hold anyone accountable.

• 35:53Speaker 03

  Put her foot down.

• 35:53Caleb Hammer?

You're gonna let this child walk all over you, especially when he's a teenager.

• 35:57Speaker 03

  I do say that.

• 35:58Caleb Hammer?

Well, yeah, because she does it with you. Her adult teenager. This kid, he's gonna do something wrong, you're gonna be like, I don't like that! And then nothing else matters.

• 36:09Speaker 03

  I'll be the disciplinarian.

• 36:10Caleb Hammer?

What? No, you're gonna get him drunk at 5.

• 36:12Speaker 03

No, well, he, maybe a little.

• 36:17Caleb Hammer?

And you're not gonna do anything about it. Let's be honest, that is the state of this household.

• 36:20Speaker 04

A lot of what comes out of his mouth is just utter shit. And I don't believe it.

• 36:26Caleb Hammer?

Great, so why don't you do anything on you're not believing?

• 36:29Speaker 04

No, because he just says shit just to get a rise. He pokes buttons.

• 36:33Speaker 03

You gotta say the most outlandish things. That way, when you say small things, it's not as serious.

• 36:38Caleb Hammer?

What? Give me an example. Okay, so you drunk drove. What did you say?

• 36:43Speaker 03

Uh, actually, no, she was mad at me when I got home, so she didn't really say anything to me.

• 36:47Caleb Hammer?

You put your life at risk while she was.

• 36:48Speaker 04

No, he told me to be home by 11, because we had a flight to come here at.

• 36:53Caleb Hammer?

  Oh, that's right.

• 36:54Speaker 03

  Oh, that flight was horrible.

• 36:56Speaker 04

Yeah, he was hungover all day yesterday, you know what? Sucks to suck. I, when he told me he was going to poker, I told him, no. I said, do not go to poker. But the problem is he makes up his mind.

• 37:07Caleb Hammer?

It's weird to say no, like you're, are his parent. That's a bit odd. But also just be a responsible person and just don't just get fucked up. Go to poker, don't get fucked up. Have a couple of sips.

• 37:17Speaker 04

That's not possible. No, the problem is when he has poker with his friends at somebody's house, it lasts till three in the morning. Cause they play like three different games. They don't just play poker. They go and they get smashed and stay out until three in the morning. And then they all, all of them, all their little, all the little husbands all go back to their wives at three in the morning. And we're all pissed about it, but then they just continue to do it. So yeah, I guess we enable it.

• 37:39Caleb Hammer?

Well, that would be weird if you're against your husband having friends and hanging out with his friends. I'm not saying that. But I get it. If you have a big day the next day, just don't drink and go home a little early.

• 37:49Speaker 04

  And that's what he said.

• 37:49Speaker 03

Well, that wasn't the plan. The plan wasn't to get smashed, but.

• 37:53Speaker 04

  It never is.

• 37:54Speaker 03

  Something happened.

• 37:56Speaker 04

He said, I'll be home early.

• 37:57Caleb Hammer?

  Drunk drove home as well.

• 37:59Speaker 04

  Yeah, at 1 a.m.

• 38:00Speaker 03

Through the trees. I can only.

• 38:01Caleb Hammer?

What do you say through the trees like that is good?

• 38:03Speaker 03

Well, because I only hurt myself. I won't hurt other people.

• 38:06Caleb Hammer?

You are a father. It's not cute when you're a dad, dude.

• 38:10Speaker 03

That part's true. He gonna be, he gonna drive me in the future.

• 38:13Caleb Hammer?

  That's a bit away.

• 38:15Speaker 03

That's what I used to do to my dad.

• 38:17Caleb Hammer?

Yeah, but it's a bit away. He was just born. Do you remember or were you too drunk?

• 38:21Speaker 03

  Honest?

• 38:24Speaker 03

No, honestly, I was driving my dad home when I was like seven.

• 38:26Caleb Hammer?

Okay, that's still seven years away for you to kill yourself.

• 38:29Speaker 04

  He's six weeks.

• 38:31Speaker 03

  It'd be all right.

• 38:33Speaker 04

See, that's the other thing. It'll be all right. It's always all right.

• 38:36Speaker 03

It'll be all right. It'll buff out.

• 38:37Caleb Hammer?

But that's not how this works. If you don't put any action into actually making it all right. Nothing just happens.

• 38:44Speaker 03

  Well.

• 38:44Caleb Hammer?

  There's consequences for actions.

• 38:46Speaker 03

I did. We stopped doing poker every weekend and we're now we're gonna switch to once a month.

• 38:50Caleb Hammer?

No, again, I'm not even against you having fun with your friends, but it's like, you're right. She's right. If you were traveling the next day and you had to do all this stuff and no one's against the having poker and fun with your friends. I'm not advocating for that. You would be kind of a horrible wife if you were against that. But you're not, cause well, maybe, I don't know, but I'm against drunk driving. I don't think that is being a nagging.

• 39:14Speaker 03

On the street? Yeah, that'd be horrible.

• 39:16Caleb Hammer?

Drunk driving anywhere that puts your life at risk asshole.

• 39:19Speaker 03

That's true. But. Everything was fine. And I do, I do.

• 39:24Caleb Hammer?

  That time.

• 39:25Speaker 03

I do digress. I probably shouldn't have did that before flying out here, but.

• 39:31Speaker 03

Well, we were playing with electricity and drinking and somebody and somebody said you

• 39:36Caleb Hammer?

Why are you even playing with electricity? What even is that?

• 39:39Speaker 03

You just play with some wires and maybe somebody gets shocked, maybe somebody doesn't, but at the end...

• 39:43Caleb Hammer?

What are you doing with playing with wires? What's the, what's the desired outcome?

• 39:46Speaker 03

Oh, we were gonna light up the shop and everything was gonna be fun.

• 39:49Caleb Hammer?

You've just blown all your money, guys. Miss ladies bullshit alone was $3,000. This is Miss ladies bullshit. It could be a video game, it could be a boat, it could be, it doesn't matter. Other large purchases, it's hard to know if they're necessities or bullshit, was $8,000. That's practically your household income on a normal month. And that was only thir- that was only 40% of your spending. Was your normal household income was only 40% of your spending last month.

• 40:16Speaker 03

And this is a good month.

• 40:18Caleb Hammer?

And that's the good month. Like, what are we doing? What are we fucking doing? $600 going out to eat on top of it all.

• 40:29Caleb Hammer?

Thousands upon thousands upon thousands upon thousands of dollars of bullshit. I never want to hear that people don't do well in this country or people are struggling. You're right, people are right that the house of housing has gone up, but other than that, outside of that, guys, it's just spending on bullshit. That's all it is. And you guys are a prime example. The better people do, the worse they are in this country. Cause they just spend twice what they earn extra.

• 40:53Speaker 03

That's been my problem. I, I have seen-

• 40:55Caleb Hammer?

Yeah, you've paid off debt before. And two years ago, three years ago, you got a golden coin from God, whatever the that is. He sold his house. Oh, is that what that is? He had a gold coin from God. He sold his house, made $50,000, used $40,000 to pay off all debt. And now we're back into, uh, $439,529,000.

• 41:17Speaker 03

Oh, it's because of the house.

• 41:18Caleb Hammer?

439, yeah, 282,000 of that is the house. The rest of it is not house. Half of it is house of the $439,529.38. Half is the house. You guys are hundreds of thousands of dollars into bad debt. What is wrong with you? You're not struggling. You're not struggling. Guys, want to know something? The middle class is shrinking in this country. Did you know that? But you know what else is shrinking? The lower class as well.

• 41:52Caleb Hammer?

The upper class is completely blowing up.

• 41:56Speaker 03

Oh, we're trying to get to that.

• 41:57Caleb Hammer?

You guys are there. You guys are doing well, and that's inflation adjusted, by the way. That is the class that is growing, is the higher income earners. Middle class and low class are both shrinking. Low class faster than middle class. You guys are doing incredible, yet hundreds of thousands of dollars in bad, unnecessary debt that is just stupid for fun. You guys have

• 42:18Caleb Hammer?

It's not the system, it's not anything. It's you guys. It's your choice.

• 42:22Speaker 03

  Well, that's why we're here.

• 42:23Caleb Hammer?

Median household income in your area is $53,729. You make 200. You guys are worse off than someone making $30,000.

• 42:32Speaker 03

I'm not arguing that point. I know.

• 42:33Caleb Hammer?

There's nothing to argue against. You guys have broken it. You guys have broken this relationship and marriage, and neither of you are willing to have a backbone. You against yourself and you against him. What are we doing? And your conversations make no sense, and blowups here and there after bottling it up. It's nothing. It's not productive, and you hold each other accountable in no way whatsoever through the blowups.

• 42:58Caleb Hammer?

What do we think the household financial score is? Zero to 10, zero being the worst, 10 being the best?

• 43:04Speaker 04

  We're on, we're down. I'd say two.

• 43:08Speaker 03

I'm actually shocked you said that much. I would say it's a three.

• 43:11Caleb Hammer?

• 44:08Speaker 03

  She's gonna need that cookbook.

• 44:11Speaker 03

I'm the one that does all the cooking in the house. She can't cook rice. Yeah.

• 44:14Caleb Hammer?

  What the fuck you do?

• 44:15Speaker 03

  I actually cook a lot.

• 44:16Caleb Hammer?

Oh, no, you work in command. That's right. Okay, sorry. I forgot.

• 44:21Speaker 03

She don't wanna learn how to cook. It's not just that.

• 44:23Caleb Hammer?

Are you okay with being the cook?

• 44:24Speaker 03

  I'm okay with it.

• 44:25Caleb Hammer?

Well, there we go. It doesn't matter then, does it?

• 44:27Speaker 03

Every now and again, I like to not cook.

• 44:28Caleb Hammer?

But she doesn't want me to cook and I don't wanna cook, so who cares? I just do the dishes. Okay? Do you care?

• 44:35Speaker 04

  It's okay with me.

• 44:36Caleb Hammer?

  You don't do the dishes?

• 44:38Speaker 04

  You do clean the kitchen.

• 44:39Caleb Hammer?

What do you do around the house? Now you take care of the kid, but before that?

• 44:43Speaker 03

Every other inch of the house she takes care of. I'll give her that.

• 44:47Caleb Hammer?

  Okay.

• 44:48Speaker 03

And she takes care of her second child, me.

• 44:50Caleb Hammer?

Good. Every other inch of that as well.

• 44:52Speaker 04

Yeah, no, the kitchen is his area. He cooks it, he destroys it, he cleans it.

• 44:56Caleb Hammer?

  Okay.

• 44:57Speaker 04

When he doesn't clean it well enough.

• 44:58Caleb Hammer?

Hey, if you're both okay with it, it doesn't matter. It's up to the couple.

• 45:00Speaker 04

But I, yeah, everything else, I will literally take care of everything else.

• 45:03Caleb Hammer?

Okay. I'm not complaining. So, Discover it. What's going on with this card?

• 45:09Speaker 03

  Which one?

• 45:09Speaker 04

  Whose card is that?

• 45:10Caleb Hammer?

Oh, I don't know, cuz we blacked out real names. Who has a $10,410.80 balance?

• 45:18Speaker 03

  That...

• 45:19Caleb Hammer?

This is you. After going completely debt-free a few years ago, you now have a $10,000 credit card with Discover it? What is wrong with you, Bo?

• 45:27Speaker 03

  Uh...

• 45:28Caleb Hammer?

  What are you doing?

• 45:31Speaker 03

I don't know. That's more just steady growing.

• 45:34Caleb Hammer?

Steady growing? Why? Why, why, why aren't you doing anything, especially in preparation for kid? Cuz kid was either just born or right before born at the time of this statement.

• 45:43Speaker 03

Well, I usually, I usually like to pay more than my minimum and I'd...

• 45:48Caleb Hammer?

Hmm, let's see. Is that true? Okay, he paid a couple dollars more than his minimum and then he purchased on it, completely negating the entire thing while interest is accruing.

• 45:59Caleb Hammer?

  Okay?

• 46:02Caleb Hammer?

So what the f**k are we talking about, dude?

• 46:03Speaker 03

I, I mean, sometimes my debit card don't work, so I just add a little bit more to the credit card.

• 46:08Caleb Hammer?

And why wouldn't your debit card work, Bo?

• 46:10Speaker 03

Because it's a piece of crap. Cuz it's a piece of crap and it breaks all the time.

• 46:14Caleb Hammer?

That's why? Not cuz you're overdrafting? Not cuz you're being a piece of shit that doesn't have money and can't control his spending to save his life?

• 46:19Speaker 03

Every now and again, it's that, but...

• 46:21Caleb Hammer?

I would think it's that more than your credit card debit card breaks.

• 46:25Speaker 03

It does break a lot, though. I have to get a new...

• 46:27Caleb Hammer?

Why is it breaking? What's he doing?

• 46:29Speaker 04

  I have no clue.

• 46:30Caleb Hammer?

Too much? Yeah, what the f**k is wrong with you? What are you doing? What are you spending on, on here, huh? What are you getting?

• 46:35Speaker 03

On Discover, it's probably a lot of vending machine.

• 46:38Caleb Hammer?

Vending machine? Why? What are you even getting at the vending machine, dude?

• 46:43Speaker 03

  Cokes, energy drinks? Nass.

• 46:47Caleb Hammer?

  Stop, stop, listen.

• 46:50Speaker 03

But this is good, Lindsay gave it to me.

• 46:51Caleb Hammer?

It is, that's gamer subs, listen, here it is. You get free samples. They got Goony names, but listen, they are literally incredible tasty and everyone in the comments agrees. These are free samples, you guys can get free samples, code Caleb at their website, link in the description below. But that, the fact is, once you order the flavor that you like, it is 40 cents a serving, you just make your energy drink at home in one of these.

• 47:11Speaker 03

  I need to stop though.

• 47:13Caleb Hammer?

That's it, no, that's fine, well, there's the hydration version without energy as well, and you can do half and half for low energy. But instead of five bucks, four bucks in energy drink, 40 cents, just like making your coffee at home, dude. You gotta be smart about this, and you honestly shouldn't even have to worry about the at-home versus not. That's not just for people on a budget, it actually does taste good, but it's like, you shouldn't even have to worry about whether or not it's 40 cents a serving or $4. Because you make good money, but you [bleep] it all.

• 47:38Speaker 03

I need to stop it in general, my doctor just told me.

• 47:42Caleb Hammer?

  Yeah, but.

• 47:43Speaker 03

Because I take Adderall too, and.

• 47:45Caleb Hammer?

Oh, so your heart's going like fluttering?

• 47:47Speaker 03

Yeah, I got a pain in my chest and she uh.

• 47:50Caleb Hammer?

Well, yeah, if you're taking Adderall and chugging energy drinks, what the [bleep] you think's going on, dude?

• 47:53Speaker 03

Yeah, they did a EKG on me the other day.

• 47:55Caleb Hammer?

Yeah, Adderall's like the top end?

• 47:57Speaker 03

They said I had the best heart on the face of the earth, so, we're good.

• 48:00Caleb Hammer?

Uh, then why would they say stop drinking energy drinks?

• 48:03Speaker 03

I don't know, cuz, well, she said I was stupid for doing it, but then they measured my heart and they were like, your heart's fine.

• 48:08Caleb Hammer?

Hey, Ashley, how long do you think this takes for him to pay off his card? If he only does minimum, minimum monthly payment, which is probably all that can be afforded? And if he doesn't purchase?

• 48:17Speaker 04

How long it'll take to pay that off? It'd be over a year.

• 48:24Caleb Hammer?

Yes, it would be over a year.

• 48:26Speaker 04

  Five years.

• 48:26Caleb Hammer?

In fact, your child will be 29 years old.

• 48:29Speaker 03

  Five years?

• 48:31Speaker 04

  Like a car.

• 48:31Caleb Hammer?

  29, I just said 29.

• 48:33Speaker 04

  Yeah, yeah, you said 29.

• 48:34Caleb Hammer?

Your child will be 29 years old.

• 48:36Speaker 04

  At $200 a month?

• 48:38Caleb Hammer?

You guys will be turning 60. In fact, a year before this is paid off, you guys will actually be able to pull from your tax advantaged retirement accounts. That's how old you guys will be. And this will just be getting paid off if no purchases are made. And we know purchases are made. Hundreds accruing in interest. Oh my goodness, it is. It really is. Five-star breakfast, energy drink, energy drink, energy drink, energy drink, energy drink, energy drink, energy drink, Amazon, energy drink, energy drink. What the [bleep] dude? What the [bleep]? That's insane. At least buy in bulk instead of these purchases for $2 a pop. Again, 40 cents a serving for gamer subs, but either way, at least buy in bulk if you need the [bleep] can.

• 49:24Caleb Hammer?

  Costco! Sam's Club!

• 49:27Speaker 03

That's too far from us. We live way out in the bayou.

• 49:30Caleb Hammer?

Well, stop. Live in civilization with the rest of us, where there's things that make your life better.

• 49:36Caleb Hammer?

Dude, what the [bleep] is this? Thousand bucks charged in interest last year. Thousand bucks. Gone!

• 49:42Speaker 03

  Was that much?

• 49:43Caleb Hammer?

It was that much, vending machine. Yes, it was. Absolutely. You better believe it.

• 49:49Speaker 03

  I didn't know that.

• 49:51Caleb Hammer?

Well, now you do, and you just [bleep] it up. Because you don't care. Why not look at your accounts? You would know that if you looked at your accounts. Why don't you look at your accounts?

• 49:58Speaker 03

The first time I looked at the accounts was when I was putting them in to the show. And then that's when I realized.

• 50:04Caleb Hammer?

So why? Why? I want to, I want to know why in your brain. Why have you never actually just taken a second to just look?

• 50:09Speaker 03

Because the money always comes in.

• 50:11Caleb Hammer?

For now. You've never lived through a real recession. You had a COVID blip, but that was it. You've never had a real recession. I think during the Biden administration, there was technically two quarters of GDP decline, but immediately the third quarter had GDP growth. So it was like the little briefest micro recession ever.

• 50:30Speaker 03

  People always need power?

• 50:31Caleb Hammer?

Yes, but nuclear is a controversial one for stupid reasons, but it's still controversial. You ever just sit in a meeting where someone says, "We should use AI," and suddenly everyone's nodding like they know what that means? Meanwhile, your competitors are already doing it and doing it all. A lot better than you, but you don't have to guess anymore. NetSuite by Oracle is the number one AI-powered cloud ERP trusted by over 43,000 businesses. And it's not just some Frankenstein bolt on either. It is AI built into your business's backbone. Financials, HR, inventory, CRM, all connected in one place. Unified data is what makes the AI actually smart. It automates boring tasks, gives you real insights, and helps you make fast, confident decisions that save money. And with the new NestSuite AI Connector,

• 51:16Caleb Hammer?

you can plug in your favorite AI and ask real questions like, who are my top customers? Or how much cash do we actually have on hand? Then automate what used to take hours. If I was running a business that was pulling in seven figures or more, this is exactly what I'd use. So grab the free guide, Demystifying AI at netsuite.com/hammer. That is netsuite.com/hammer. Let's get back to the show. You ever check the interest your savings account is earning and just feel insulted? Like, why is my money working less than I did in high school? Most big banks are offering 0.39% APY right now. That means if you've got five grand in savings, you're earning maybe 20 bucks. $20 after a year. Cool, that's almost enough to buy an oil change in 2008.

• 51:59Caleb Hammer?

But with Time's High Yield Savings Account, you earn up to 3% APY. That is around $150 on the same 5,000. I use it to stash my emergency fund because I want my money growing, not collecting dust. And if something hits the fan, I can still access it instantly. No lockups, no penalties, no secret handshake required. It just takes a few minutes to sign up and there are no monthly fees or minimum balance nonsense. So you keep more of your money, which last time I checked was kind of the whole point of saving. And Time makes saving easy. You can set up automatic savings tools like rounding up purchases to the nearest dollar or sending the difference into savings. Or split your paycheck and send a portion straight to the high-yield savings account every payday. And if that's not enough, you can get up to a $350 bonus

• 52:54Speaker 03

Yeah, but I can leave nuclear today and still make a shit ton of money.

• 52:58Caleb Hammer?

Yes, potentially, potentially, but she could, you could lose your half your household income.

• 53:02Speaker 03

  That, that part could happen.

• 53:04Caleb Hammer?

You're a little more job secure, not completely recession-proof, recession-resistant.

• 53:11Speaker 03

It could be like tech where they, where 40% gets lost in a year.

• 53:16Caleb Hammer?

Yes, it could be. It could be. Most of that was due to over hiring, but also a little bit of AI.

• 53:22Speaker 03

And I can always make more money with overtime and outages and stuff like that.

• 53:26Caleb Hammer?

Not always. That confidence, that hubris, it'll fuck you. The saying always confident 100%. I like, I'm sure. Yes, most likely, sure.

• 53:34Speaker 03

  Which I hate working overtime.

• 53:35Caleb Hammer?

But it is not perfect 100% no matter what. You never know what's gonna happen to you. What happens if you break your leg, dude? What happens if you like, yeah, what happens if you fall into the bayou, get your leg ripped off by an alligator? You never know what's gonna happen. You're not gonna be able to do that electrician job very well.

• 53:49Speaker 03

I still have my hands. We're good.

• 53:51Caleb Hammer?

Yeah, until you lose a hand.

• 53:52Speaker 03

  Running through the trees.

• 53:53Caleb Hammer?

  Happening happy Gilmore.

• 53:55Speaker 03

  Poker like.

• 53:55Caleb Hammer?

It could happen in real life.

• 53:57Speaker 03

That was Chubbs. All right. Get your references right.

• 53:59Caleb Hammer?

  It's true.

• 54:02Caleb Hammer?

All right, Bo, what's going on with Cabela's?

• 54:04Speaker 03

  Same thing. Same exact thing.

• 54:07Caleb Hammer?

Why do you have no control?

• 54:08Speaker 03

  That's a very good question.

• 54:10Caleb Hammer?

Why do you not care? Why do you not care about your wife and kid?

• 54:13Speaker 03

  I care.

• 54:13Caleb Hammer?

And their financial future, their financial future specifically. I know you love them, but why do you not care about their financial future?

• 54:19Speaker 03

Um, I do care about their financial future. That's why we're gonna get all this straightened out. Don't flip the page.

• 54:25Caleb Hammer?

You're just saying it's gonna happen. It's just like, well, that makes no sense. That is, that is what people say in the show when they try to get out of any kind of pushback about the reality of the situation. They just say, it's gonna be good. And what indication? It's only getting worse. It's only going downhill. And when people continue this trend, they lose their house, they lose their cars, they lose everything. They lose their family, they lose their marriage. That is not just a wild fantasy. That happens every single day. High income earners, low income earners, middle income earners. That is a reality.

• 54:57Speaker 03

It does happen, but I'm a lot more secure than a lot of people. Job wise.

• 55:02Caleb Hammer?

Again, recession resistant, not proof, but it doesn't even matter. This isn't just about you. Half the income that pays for these bills are her. And she is in the most recession, not proof at all.

• 55:14Speaker 03

  We'll always figure it out.

• 55:15Caleb Hammer?

Oh my God, see, there's the cope. It's like, that's not an answer.

• 55:20Caleb Hammer?

People have had that same answer. We'll always figure it out, but they are losing their house today. They're losing their marriage today. They're struggling to put food on the table or pay the electricity bill today. And they always said, I'll figure it out. We'll figure it out. We've always figured it out. You've barely lived life. We're 30. We're not that young guy. We're not that old. We're not that old. And we have not lived through a real recession. You don't know what it's like.

• 55:47Speaker 03

  I got nothing.

• 55:48Caleb Hammer?

And you shouldn't. You just need to get your shit together. You literally put only 200

Dollars to this card where the minimum payment is $148, which you spent $643.81. You probably have no idea where this even went to us, did you? Nothing.

• 56:32Speaker 03

  Don't flip the page.

• 56:33Caleb Hammer?

Nah. Well, why would I not flip the pa- dude, you had $40 of fees. I'm guessing that's about to be a late fee asshole. And then $92.97 of interest. 21 years to pay off. 21. Your kid will be legally drinking. So it's Apple bills, Apple bills. Okay. Pull up your phone. Pull up your phone. Let me see your fucking subscriptions.

• 56:56Speaker 03

  That is where.

• 56:57Caleb Hammer?

And then pass doofy. Give me. Give me now.

• 57:01Speaker 03

  What you want to see?

• 57:02Caleb Hammer?

Give me your phone. I know how to navigate the world of iPhone. Starting a screen recording.

• 57:11Caleb Hammer?

Blacking out your name. Is that you?

• 57:13Speaker 04

  It's his mom.

• 57:14Caleb Hammer?

  Oh.

• 57:15Speaker 03

Yeah, I'm still under my mom's account for the phone.

• 57:18Caleb Hammer?

Did you have every subscription known to?

• 57:20Speaker 03

  I did cancel a bunch.

• 57:22Caleb Hammer?

  Hold on.

• 57:24Speaker 04

If Tinder's on there, it's not.

• 57:25Caleb Hammer?

Why do you have Tinder Premium?

• 57:27Speaker 03

I realized that whenever I applied to the show.

• 57:31Caleb Hammer?

  Yeah?

• 57:31Speaker 03

  I was paying.

• 57:32Caleb Hammer?

  Oh, yeah.

• 57:33Speaker 03

No, there's like at least seven things that I'd been paying the last three years for that I had to cancel. I canceled a lot of things.

• 57:42Caleb Hammer?

Tinder Premium will be married while wife was pregnant. Gotta stick it in something, huh?

• 57:47Speaker 03

Hey, don't worry. What we do on Sundays is our business.

• 57:52Caleb Hammer?

  Sunday's dedicated day?

• 57:54Speaker 03

  Oh damn.

• 57:55Caleb Hammer?

You called it out. I don't know.

• 57:58Speaker 03

  Who knows?

• 57:59Caleb Hammer?

  Um.

• 58:01Caleb Hammer?

We're confident that there has been no infidelity. This entire relationship.

• 58:05Speaker 04

  Very confident.

• 58:07Speaker 03

Yeah. Well, I don't know about her. She might. Who knows?

• 58:12Speaker 04

He didn't even have the app. He was just paying for it.

• 58:14Caleb Hammer?

Uh huh. Didn't have the app.

• 58:16Speaker 04

  I don't know.

• 58:17Caleb Hammer?

It's so easy to delete an app. Are you kidding me?

• 58:21Speaker 03

  No.

• 58:21Speaker 04

Don't look at me like that. It's your phone, your subscription and your app.

• 58:25Caleb Hammer?

What if we re-downloaded it right now and he logged in with his Apple ID? What's the most recent message we'd see?

• 58:31Speaker 03

  Probably 2019?

• 58:35Speaker 04

  Interesting.

• 58:36Caleb Hammer?

So there's financial infidelity in every moment of our life. We don't think there'd be real sexual infidelity?

• 58:42Speaker 03

Well, there is definitely a lot of financial infidelity.

• 58:45Caleb Hammer?

Yeah, I mean, you guys hide things behind each other. Well, mostly you hide things behind her back like permanent. It's almost like a hobby of yours.

• 58:51Speaker 03

Well, you gotta do some infidelity, so that's why we do the financial ones.

• 58:55Caleb Hammer?

Well, that must be good to hear.

• 58:56Speaker 04

  Yeah.

• 58:57Speaker 03

  Can't be perfect.

• 58:58Caleb Hammer?

Along with GPS tracker, GPS tracker, two of the same subscriptions.

• 59:02Speaker 03

  I told you.

• 59:03Caleb Hammer?

  Apple Bill Disney plus.

• 59:06Speaker 03

That's the other thing. I think we pay for multiple.

• 59:08Caleb Hammer?

Live HBO, three of the Hunt app, three of the same app.

• 59:13Speaker 03

I told you, I canceled a bunch of stuff.

• 59:15Caleb Hammer?

  No, those aren't even canceled.

• 59:16Speaker 03

Oh, I've been paying that for years.

• 59:18Caleb Hammer?

They're not even expiring. They're not even set to cancellation.

• 59:21Speaker 03

Oh, go ahead and cancel it.

• 59:23Caleb Hammer?

  Photo Vault Calculator. My Radar.

• 59:26Speaker 03

  That's my beautiful wife.

• 59:30Caleb Hammer?

Dude, what are we doing? What? That Tinder doesn't send red flags in the back of your head?

• 59:37Speaker 04

No, because we've talked about it before.

• 59:39Caleb Hammer?

  Huh?

• 59:39Speaker 04

  We've talked about it.

• 59:41Caleb Hammer?

What do you mean you've talked about it?

• 59:42Speaker 03

When I applied to the show and I said, hey, this is.

• 59:44Caleb Hammer?

When it was gonna come up.

• 59:46Speaker 03

  Yeah.

• 59:47Speaker 04

Through the subscriptions when we know.

• 59:49Caleb Hammer?

Yeah, when you knew it was gonna come up on a show.

• 59:53Speaker 04

We talked about everything because we

• 59:54Speaker 03

I didn't even know how to get to my subscription. So when I applied, there was a lot of things that I was like, shit.

• 59:59Caleb Hammer?

And we're relying on you to not allow a nuclear leak to happen? Radiation leak? That's makes me feel great.

• 1:00:08Speaker 03

I'm actually one of the most, one of the more important people to make sure that doesn't happen.

• 1:00:12Caleb Hammer?

What did you get on Calebhammer.com?

• 1:00:14Speaker 03

For, what do you mean? For the score?

• 1:00:16Caleb Hammer?

Yep. No, what did you get? You purchased?

• 1:00:19Speaker 03

  Oh, DollarWise?

• 1:00:20Caleb Hammer?

Okay, you guys get it for free, obviously going forward. So we'll, we'll make sure to refund that.

• 1:00:24Speaker 03

  That's part of why I

• 1:00:25Caleb Hammer?

  I can appreciate that.

• 1:00:26Speaker 03

I downloaded DollarWise and then I was like, this is ridiculous. And I applied to the show.

• 1:00:30Caleb Hammer?

Yeah, yeah, yeah. So it showed you your shit for the first time and you're

• 1:00:34Speaker 03

But that was the thing. I was going to plug stuff in and I was like, this is horrible.

• 1:00:37Caleb Hammer?

DollarWise app. It's incredible. Okay, so here's the photo vault that you're paying for. Oh. Oh, can I say that, Lindsay?

• 1:00:50Caleb Hammer?

What you typed? Oh, Brandon typed it.

• 1:00:54Caleb Hammer?

First of all, that's weird. But Brandon typed, I used that app to hide old nudes when I was in a relationship for real, for real.

• 1:01:02Speaker 03

  Not me?

• 1:01:03Speaker 04

  No, he said that.

• 1:01:05Speaker 03

  Oh, he said that?

• 1:01:05Speaker 04

  Yeah.

• 1:01:07Caleb Hammer?

  It's that and Tinder?

• 1:01:08Speaker 03

  She's seen the vault.

• 1:01:09Speaker 04

  The vault is me.

• 1:01:12Caleb Hammer?

  Oh.

• 1:01:14Speaker 03

When we had, well, we had a long

• 1:01:15Caleb Hammer?

What's wrong with the hidden folders then?

• 1:01:16Speaker 03

We had a nice, we had a nice, because people can get to that.

• 1:01:18Caleb Hammer?

Hidden folders? It requires your face.

• 1:01:20Speaker 03

I don't know how to do all that.

• 1:01:21Caleb Hammer?

It's a hidden folder. I, what are you?

• 1:01:23Speaker 03

  What, like through the camera?

• 1:01:24Caleb Hammer?

And we're relying on you for no radiation leak.

• 1:01:29Speaker 03

  I don't do tech.

• 1:01:30Caleb Hammer?

Are we sure there's not a radiation leak just flowing through Louisiana? And this is why everyone's just

• 1:01:35Speaker 03

It's probably going all to my brain and that's why.

• 1:01:37Caleb Hammer?

Yes, that's what I'm saying, dude. So people use to hide nudes and Tinder at the same time. While he goes on four bachelor part, five bachelor parties last year and blows $10,000, guarantee you a stripper sucked his dick.

• 1:01:53Caleb Hammer?

  Guaranteed, no way not.

• 1:01:55Speaker 03

  There weren't my bachelor parties?

• 1:01:56Caleb Hammer?

And we're doing that to Marco?

• 1:01:58Speaker 03

Actually, one was my bachelor party.

• 1:01:59Caleb Hammer?

  Mark, very excited.

• 1:02:02Speaker 03

  Where y'all going?

• 1:02:03Caleb Hammer?

  Strip club.

• 1:02:04Speaker 03

Nice, here? Y'all don't wanna get out?

• 1:02:07Caleb Hammer?

  Huh?

• 1:02:07Speaker 03

  Y'all don't wanna get out?

• 1:02:09Caleb Hammer?

Well, it's just like a casual Friday night. We're just getting Marco laughing.

• 1:02:14Caleb Hammer?

No, Mark just needs to see some titties. He just never, he doesn't, he doesn't get that.

• 1:02:18Speaker 03

I actually have a bachelor trip next month, too.

• 1:02:20Caleb Hammer?

Of course you do. So you didn't, you don't think anything is happening?

• 1:02:22Speaker 03

  Everybody's married.

• 1:02:23Caleb Hammer?

10,000 hours, 10,000 hours of strippers and booze.

• 1:02:25Speaker 04

I also went on like five bachelorette trips last year.

• 1:02:28Caleb Hammer?

Yeah, but you are not the untrustworthy one here, lady. Okay, first of all, this person's hot. Can we just talk about that?

• 1:02:35Speaker 03

  What I got?

• 1:02:35Caleb Hammer?

Uh, well, she's a, okay, her first person picture is really hot.

• 1:02:39Speaker 03

  What's to you?

• 1:02:39Caleb Hammer?

The next pictures are pretty okay. 2019, 10, 7, 2019. When did y'all meet?

• 1:02:48Speaker 04

  When did we meet?

• 1:02:48Caleb Hammer?

Oh my gosh. Is this how he, this is why, no, no one responded. This is five people in a row. Hey there, darling.

• 1:02:57Speaker 04

  That is how he speaks.

• 1:02:57Speaker 03

  That's what got her.

• 1:03:00Caleb Hammer?

And none of them responded. Sadie did give you a hey?

• 1:03:05Speaker 03

When I was at it, I didn't use it that much.

• 1:03:07Caleb Hammer?

Sadie's not it. I understand why you didn't respond.

• 1:03:11Caleb Hammer?

  Oh, okay, yeah, well, okay.

• 1:03:14Speaker 04

Yeah, it was after that. We got, we didn't get together until 2020.

• 1:03:17Caleb Hammer?

  Yeah?

• 1:03:18Speaker 03

  Passed the test.

• 1:03:18Caleb Hammer?

  Okay.

• 1:03:19Speaker 03

  Good to go.

• 1:03:20Caleb Hammer?

  Passed the test?

• 1:03:22Caleb Hammer?

  Oh, you know, okay.

• 1:03:24Speaker 03

  Nice.

• 1:03:25Caleb Hammer?

Good, well done. I appreciate that. I appreciate that.

• 1:03:27Speaker 03

I'm just stupid and I'm paid for it for the last.

• 1:03:30Caleb Hammer?

That's why you had a pass doofy on Cabello's that last month and you've had three, you had three last year in 2025.

• 1:03:35Speaker 03

And paying for Tinder for the last seven years without being on it.

• 1:03:38Caleb Hammer?

Yeah, that's three late fees on his Cabela card last year in 2025.

• 1:03:45Speaker 04

It's because he refuses to do like an auto draft. Like I, what I do with mine.

• 1:03:49Caleb Hammer?

You also refuse to hold him accountable or call out anything.

• 1:03:52Speaker 04

I'd love to keep all of this whenever we leave here because

• 1:03:55Caleb Hammer?

  Yeah, I mean.

• 1:03:56Speaker 04

To me, this is my, this is my problem that I will own up that I don't, I don't mother him. I don't micromanage him.

• 1:04:03Caleb Hammer?

You don't need to mother him, be a nagging bitch. You just need to hold each other accountable and have conversations and look through your finances together and combine your accounts like adults.

• 1:04:12Speaker 04

  Yes.

• 1:04:12Caleb Hammer?

No one's asking for you to mother him. That'll probably push him further away and make him even worse.

• 1:04:16Speaker 04

  Correct.

• 1:04:19Speaker 03

But I probably deserve it, so.

• 1:04:20Caleb Hammer?

What am I seeing? What am I even seeing here? What is this? This is a mess.

• 1:04:25Speaker 03

Yeah, I didn't really like the way it pulled stuff up.

• 1:04:28Caleb Hammer?

  Cause what is it?

• 1:04:29Speaker 03

  You couldn't, uh, that's a personal loan.

• 1:04:33Caleb Hammer?

Why do you have a personal loan? So this is you again, Bo?

• 1:04:36Speaker 03

  Yeah, this is me.

• 1:04:37Caleb Hammer?

Why do you have a personal loan?

• 1:04:39Speaker 03

  Um, to buy two trucks.

• 1:04:40Caleb Hammer?

  Two?

• 1:04:41Speaker 03

So there's, so we were gonna remodel the house and so I couldn't make any big purchases at the time.

• 1:04:48Caleb Hammer?

  Oh, for fuck's sake.

• 1:04:49Speaker 03

So I couldn't, I didn't wanna buy a $70,000 truck and then it kinda screwed the loan process for the house.

• 1:04:56Caleb Hammer?

So I just. Give a fuck about what you want to do regardless.

• 1:04:59Speaker 03

I needed a truck and mine blew up.

• 1:05:01Caleb Hammer?

  Did you need two?

• 1:05:02Speaker 03

Why have one good truck when you can have two okay ones? And actually, one's a classic truck. It's nice. I love it.

• 1:05:11Speaker 04

  Yeah.

• 1:05:12Caleb Hammer?

Hey, you don't give a fuck. Okay. Well, that's as clear as day. So you got two, two trucks on this?

• 1:05:19Speaker 03

  One shit, one's nice.

• 1:05:21Caleb Hammer?

So you got two trucks at 11.24% interest?

• 1:05:23Speaker 03

  That part's probably not.

• 1:05:24Caleb Hammer?

That's horrendous. And your minimum payment is $247.31. 94 payments left. 94?

• 1:05:34Speaker 03

Yeah, that was like a few months ago.

• 1:05:36Caleb Hammer?

  That's insanity.

• 1:05:37Speaker 03

  I didn't wanna buy a truck.

• 1:05:39Caleb Hammer?

  94 payments is insanity.

• 1:05:40Speaker 03

I didn't wanna buy a truck until now, but the other one blew up, so.

• 1:05:46Speaker 03

  That's what happened.

• 1:05:47Caleb Hammer?

Literally eight years. Eight years. When did you get this?

• 1:05:50Speaker 03

  August.

• 1:05:52Caleb Hammer?

So a nine-year loan. You took out a nine-year personal loan for two trucks. What the fuck are we doing?

• 1:05:57Speaker 03

I didn't think it was nine years.

• 1:05:58Caleb Hammer?

You're pressuring him to get a new truck right now?

• 1:06:00Speaker 04

  No.

• 1:06:01Caleb Hammer?

  Why, why is Lindsay teaching?

• 1:06:02Speaker 04

  Well, yeah, I was.

• 1:06:03Caleb Hammer?

  Okay, what's this what?

• 1:06:04Speaker 03

  Cause she done.

• 1:06:05Speaker 04

I didn't want him to buy the two shitty trucks. I wanted him to buy a new truck and just bite the bullet.

• 1:06:10Caleb Hammer?

Need, why? Why does it matter what kind of truck it is?

• 1:06:14Speaker 04

It doesn't matter what kind of truck it is, but the.

• 1:06:15Caleb Hammer?

Then why are you doing this?

• 1:06:17Speaker 04

Because the truck he bought was a piece of garbage that fell apart in Arkansas in the middle, while he was up there.

• 1:06:22Caleb Hammer?

Why are you in Arkansas, you weirdo?

• 1:06:24Speaker 03

I was working it out. It's just why the income was a lot better.

• 1:06:28Speaker 04

He bought a truck that barely moves down the street, so thus he bought the classic antique, whatever the shit it is, truck so that he could have two because they both semi-ruined.

• 1:06:37Caleb Hammer?

And this nice truck is worth $3,385, by the way.

• 1:06:41Speaker 03

No, that was the shitty one.

• 1:06:43Speaker 04

  That's a little beater.

• 1:06:45Speaker 03

Oh, you talking about Kelly Blue Book value? Yeah, cuz Kelly Blue Book just sees um a truck with 300,000.

• 1:06:53Caleb Hammer?

Wait, which one is that? This, that's the GMC.

• 1:06:55Speaker 03

Okay, the GMC is the shit truck.

• 1:06:56Caleb Hammer?

Okay, the other one is like four to 10, depending. Yeah, but. Cuz it's ranges, we don't have an exact.

• 1:07:02Speaker 03

  It's a, it's a classic truck. They actually sell for, if I put 5,000 in the interior, it's a $50,000 truck.

• 1:07:08Caleb Hammer?

  Don't, don't, don't, you don't know what you're doing, though.

• 1:07:11Speaker 03

I could sell it right now for probably about 15, 16,000.

• 1:07:14Caleb Hammer?

Pay off your debt, take care of your child, asshole.

• 1:07:16Speaker 03

Then I just have a shitty truck.

• 1:07:17Caleb Hammer?

  Good.

• 1:07:19Speaker 03

That left me on three wheels in Arkansas.

• 1:07:21Caleb Hammer?

Well, your fault, your problem. You chose to purchase it and now you have a nine-year loan on it.

• 1:07:26Speaker 03

  I didn't know I had a nine-year loan.

• 1:07:28Caleb Hammer?

  Freak, what are you doing?

• 1:07:30Speaker 03

My credit union handled all that. They just said this is gonna be the best one for you, so I went with that loan. It'll be paid off.

• 1:07:38Caleb Hammer?

As in, they're making money off of you.

• 1:07:40Speaker 03

I'm probably gonna pay it off in like three years.

• 1:07:42Caleb Hammer?

Sales. So what's the state of the, what's the state of the shit truck? Can we use it?

• 1:07:48Speaker 03

Yeah, we use it. That's my back and forth to work truck.

• 1:07:50Caleb Hammer?

  So you fixed it?

• 1:07:51Speaker 03

  Yeah, I fixed it.

• 1:07:52Caleb Hammer?

Will it last? How long will it last?

• 1:07:54Speaker 03

  That's debatable.

• 1:07:57Speaker 03

  That's highly.

• 1:07:58Caleb Hammer?

  How long's your commute?

• 1:07:59Speaker 03

  Oh, 10 minutes. It's nothing.

• 1:08:02Caleb Hammer?

  Okay.

• 1:08:02Speaker 03

And if it goes to shit, then I have the other truck.

• 1:08:05Caleb Hammer?

I have a loan on here with T. Rowe Price.

• 1:08:11Speaker 03

  That's a 401k loan.

• 1:08:14Caleb Hammer?

Why you have a 401k loan, asshole? I'm assuming it's you.

• 1:08:18Speaker 03

  Yeah, it's me.

• 1:08:19Caleb Hammer?

Why? Why would you even need this? You make so much money, dick.

• 1:08:22Speaker 03

That was to remodel the house, which she wanted.

• 1:08:25Caleb Hammer?

  Why a 401k?

• 1:08:28Caleb Hammer?

  Okay.

• 1:08:28Speaker 03

  Cuz we didn't have.

• 1:08:29Caleb Hammer?

Let's not even think you're gonna get laid off. If you choose to leave this job, that money becomes due.

• 1:08:35Speaker 03

I didn't know that until I was watching the show.

• 1:08:37Caleb Hammer?

That and your money's just not growing in the market and markets are at all times highs right now. You, you've lost that.

• 1:08:42Speaker 03

  I didn't pull out of my 401k.

• 1:08:44Caleb Hammer?

But it's not growing. That money's not growing invested. You're only getting what you paid to yourself towards it, which is not even close comparable to in terms of return.

• 1:08:56Speaker 03

I'm paying myself back at 8% and the market's like 7%.

• 1:08:59Caleb Hammer?

  What are you talking about?

• 1:09:02Speaker 03

Markets like seven over every year.

• 1:09:04Caleb Hammer?

What are you talking about? No, it's not the mar- what are you talking about the market? When did you take this out?

• 1:09:10Speaker 03

  Uh, August.

• 1:09:12Caleb Hammer?

  Okay, since August.

• 1:09:14Speaker 03

Oh, the market did take a big jump recently.

• 1:09:17Caleb Hammer?

Okay, yeah, since August, it's up 10%. Since August alone, okay? That is just 10, that is just since August. Year over year, it's up 15%. So, you, you don't know what you're talking about. Plus, it's risky because it would become due. Oh, there's two? Wait.

• 1:09:35Speaker 03

  To what?

• 1:09:40Caleb Hammer?

Oh, there's another one, I think, right?

• 1:09:42Speaker 03

  Not another 401K loan.

• 1:09:43Caleb Hammer?

Took out, oh, oh, oh, the last loan that we just had. You took it out in August, September, when she was pregnant. Just taking out loans? What, dude, why can't, why can't you cash flow? Why can't you cash flow this? You guys make money.

• 1:09:56Speaker 03

Because I didn't have the cash.

• 1:09:57Caleb Hammer?

Yeah, but you could. Save for a couple of months and you could if you weren't, if you weren't just absolutely horrendous with your money, you totally could.

• 1:10:05Speaker 03

That's a great question. No, we should have.

• 1:10:08Caleb Hammer?

Oh, my goodness, you have no behavior. You have no responsibility, no behavior.

• 1:10:13Speaker 03

But the two trucks are nice. Well, one truck's nice.

• 1:10:16Caleb Hammer?

And what is this? Is this the next page of it or? Oh, it's 301 a month and obviously that gets taken out before it hits your account. That to Bo's parents, 10,000, what? Why, when, how, you?

• 1:10:29Speaker 03

So, that was the down payment to take out, to buy a lot that we didn't end up using and now selling.

• 1:10:35Caleb Hammer?

By the way, you realize have only

• 1:10:40Caleb Hammer?

written down Bo debt so far.

• 1:10:43Speaker 03

I knew that when we applied.

• 1:10:45Caleb Hammer?

After you were literally debt free three years ago, asshole. And I have a wife and kids, so you're like, let me get up. Okay, 10,000. What are you thinking you're going to sell this land for?

• 1:10:55Speaker 03

So, when? Oh, for that, that's probably going to be sold for 95,000.

• 1:10:59Caleb Hammer?

  You bought it for 10?

• 1:11:01Speaker 03

Bought for 99. Oh, no, that was the down, 10 was the down payment.

• 1:11:05Caleb Hammer?

Oh. What's your equity position in this lot?

• 1:11:09Speaker 03

  Even.

• 1:11:10Caleb Hammer?

Yeah, so after fees and everything, you might lose.

• 1:11:12Speaker 03

It's, I might lose. Might lose just a little bit.

• 1:11:16Caleb Hammer?

You're using a realtor and shit like that?

• 1:11:18Speaker 03

  Yes.

• 1:11:19Caleb Hammer?

Okay, so there's 6%. And then transaction fees and whatnot, closing fees, all that good stuff. Mostly on the buyer, but still some on yours.

• 1:11:28Speaker 03

  Yeah.

• 1:11:29Caleb Hammer?

Oh, for fuck's sake, what was the purchase price of the lot?

• 1:11:31Speaker 03

  Ninety-nine.

• 1:11:32Caleb Hammer?

And you're selling it for ninety-nine?

• 1:11:34Speaker 03

I have it up for sale for ninety-nine.

• 1:11:36Caleb Hammer?

You're gonna lose money. Me, me and my entire life. Type in the address.

• 1:11:44Caleb Hammer?

  I know it's a keyboard, it's scary.

• 1:11:46Speaker 03

I know it is and I don't remember the address, but.

• 1:11:48Caleb Hammer?

What was the lot that you own? Are you guys near it?

• 1:11:51Speaker 04

  Yeah.

• 1:11:51Speaker 03

  Yeah, five minutes away.

• 1:11:52Speaker 04

  One eighteen.

• 1:11:53Caleb Hammer?

Why are you selling? Why, why'd you get it?

• 1:11:54Speaker 03

  Uh, because we were gonna.

• 1:11:56Speaker 04

We bought it before we bought the house. Michael.

• 1:11:59Speaker 03

Yeah, so we were gonna build a house there. So what, what actually happened was it was a childhood, there was a childhood friend's house that I've been on for like the last, I don't know. Maybe like ten years or whatever. And um, they finally, because they said when all their kids graduated, they would sell the house. And I wanted to get it from them, but like uh, the last kid graduated and they were like, eh, we don't think we're gonna sell anymore. So, and this is part of the impulsivity thing.

• 1:12:27Caleb Hammer?

By the way, the fact that a lot of land near you guys is only a hundred thousand dollars just shows how much no one wants to live there.

• 1:12:32Speaker 03

It's a good bit of land. But anyway.

• 1:12:34Caleb Hammer?

For a hundred thousand dollars? No, it's not.

• 1:12:37Speaker 03

  But anyway, so uh.

• 1:12:38Caleb Hammer?

  The market says no.

• 1:12:40Speaker 03

So, um, a week after she said we weren't gonna sell, then I bought that lot and then three weeks later, they said, eh, we're gonna sell, so.

• 1:12:50Caleb Hammer?

Price cut seven thousand, ninety-two. You have it listed for ninety-two right now, you bought it for ninety-nine?

• 1:12:54Speaker 03

  Text Grant to drop it.

• 1:12:56Caleb Hammer?

He doesn't even know! Did you even know?

• 1:12:58Speaker 04

Yeah, I knew that it came down.

• 1:13:00Caleb Hammer?

What are you doing? You're gonna write a check to close this?

• 1:13:04Speaker 03

  Yeah, no.

• 1:13:04Caleb Hammer?

Yes, you are going to have to write a check at the end when you sell this.

• 1:13:08Speaker 03

I only owe seventy-five on it right now.

• 1:13:10Caleb Hammer?

Okay, then you'll break even with that, but you still owe ten to your parents.

• 1:13:14Speaker 03

  Yeah, so whenever.

• 1:13:15Caleb Hammer?

You have a minimum monthly payment to them?

• 1:13:18Speaker 03

  No.

• 1:13:18Caleb Hammer?

Okay, you're not gonna have money to give to them once it's sold.

• 1:13:22Speaker 03

  Well, if I sell it.

• 1:13:22Caleb Hammer?

So what the fuck even is this? Lot, lot of land? It's a little grass patch in between two houses. What is this lot of land? When you say lot of land, you're thinking like, an actual like, land? This is a fucking couple blades of grass in between two houses. Was like, did someone start building a house and they stopped?

• 1:13:40Speaker 03

  No, it got destroyed during

• 1:13:42Caleb Hammer?

  Posts huh?

• 1:13:43Speaker 03

  It just destroyed during Ida.

• 1:13:44Speaker 04

  Hurricane.

• 1:13:45Caleb Hammer?

Oh my goodness. Yeah, exactly. Why would anyone want to live there, guys? What are you doing? Why do you live in this place? Type in your address. Do you know your own address? Here, yeah, I trust you.

• 1:13:55Speaker 03

  You probably.

• 1:13:56Speaker 04

  I didn't.

• 1:13:56Caleb Hammer?

  Should I?

• 1:13:57Speaker 03

You're probably not gonna be able to see it on that because there was a bunch of.

• 1:14:00Caleb Hammer?

Oh, Lindsay has the link. I'll take it.

• 1:14:01Speaker 04

  Oh.

• 1:14:02Speaker 03

It never, it never went on the market.

• 1:14:04Caleb Hammer?

I'll take it. I'll take it. I'll take it. I'll take it. Lindsay got some.

• 1:14:07Speaker 04

  Here you are.

• 1:14:08Speaker 03

  I can show you.

• 1:14:08Caleb Hammer?

Listen, if you're getting destroyed in hurricanes and all the, all the lots around you are like a couple hundred thousand dollars, it's like, what are we even doing? What are we, what are we, what are we, what are we doing?

• 1:14:17Speaker 03

  Loving life, living life.

• 1:14:19Caleb Hammer?

Apparently not next time the hurricane happens. You guys got lucky this last year.

• 1:14:24Speaker 04

This is for y'all's main house, right? Yeah.

• 1:14:28Caleb Hammer?

This is what you remodeled? I mean, no, it's great.

• 1:14:31Speaker 03

We just did the, we just redid the bathroom. That's it so far. We're planning on redoing the whole thing.

• 1:14:35Caleb Hammer?

It really is a hurricane houses and everything's like.

• 1:14:39Speaker 03

You can actually see it on there?

• 1:14:41Caleb Hammer?

  Yeah.

• 1:14:41Speaker 03

  Okay.

• 1:14:42Speaker 04

It's a, yeah, it's a raised house on pylons. It has a built in like apartment downstairs.

• 1:14:48Speaker 03

You screwed my whole phone up.

• 1:14:49Caleb Hammer?

Why, why are you guys doing this? Why do you live in this? I mean, no, it's great. What are you looking for?

• 1:17:08Speaker 03

I was looking for the albums.

• 1:17:12Caleb Hammer?

  Guys.

• 1:17:14Caleb Hammer?

  Just like...

• 1:17:18Caleb Hammer?

Guys. This is, I, I, I thought, I thought maybe...

• 1:17:23Speaker 03

  Yeah, that's...

• 1:17:24Caleb Hammer?

I was expecting something nice. I mean, no, no, it's fine. I was just expecting something like on the water and...

• 1:17:29Speaker 04

  The water's behind it.

• 1:17:30Speaker 03

We're trying to buy the land behind us and we'll get to the water.

• 1:17:32Caleb Hammer?

Stop with this land. You guys aren't land. You don't know land. Stop. Look what you just did. You're about to lose money on this land.

• 1:17:39Speaker 03

Well, as long as I get the down payment back from my parents, I'm fine.

• 1:17:42Caleb Hammer?

What? Back? But you're not. Objectively, no.

• 1:17:45Speaker 03

If it sells for 92 and only 75...

• 1:17:47Caleb Hammer?

Yeah, you already did a price cut, by the way. A substantial percentage price cut, which is not a good look. Meaning they're gonna wait for more, most likely. You kind of [BLEEP] that up.

• 1:17:55Speaker 03

No, I'm gonna stop it right there, because I don't have to sell it if I really don't want it.

• 1:17:58Caleb Hammer?

Get up and there, someone's gonna lowball you, seeing how big of a percent you just took off first. Like, I would've done it by 500 at a time. But even still, I mean, I know how respe... Are you sure you're even gonna pay them back with the money? You saved those $3,000 for a dream wedding, but put it in a cave, a man cave for yourself.

You respected something else that he took and went to the man cave. Come on.

• 1:18:59Speaker 04

  No.

• 1:18:59Speaker 03

No, the man cave is what made our groomsmen picture so much better.

• 1:19:03Speaker 04

No, what actually I guess I could say is that seemed to be his only priority when we moved in the house and we bought the house to renovate it. That's the only reason I agreed to buy the house.

• 1:19:13Caleb Hammer?

Man cave, it's fun. I love it. I'm not saying don't, but come on, if it was meant to be allocated to the wedding, that's very selfish. Everything seems very selfish of you, guy.

• 1:19:21Speaker 03

That wasn't supposed to be allocated to the wedding. That's what I built downstairs.

• 1:19:27Caleb Hammer?

It's cool. I'm not saying it's, but just like I'm, it is very cool. Just like, I'm not saying, um, you shouldn't do poker. I'm not saying that. It's, it's about priorities. The drunk driving is bad. That is not bad. It's actually very cool. I, you know, I would enjoy that myself. Well done.

• 1:19:44Speaker 03

Feel free to come by. I'll have an alligator on a leash waiting for you. I'll tape his mouth. He'll be all right.

• 1:19:50Caleb Hammer?

Tape? I'm trusting tape for my life?

• 1:19:53Speaker 04

  Yeah.

• 1:19:53Caleb Hammer?

  For god's sake.

• 1:19:54Speaker 04

  I'm sorry.

• 1:19:55Caleb Hammer?

  You're backing this?

• 1:19:56Speaker 04

I agreed. No, but I'm not worried about alligators. What I am worried about is.

• 1:20:03Caleb Hammer?

I'd be worried about hurricanes. Honestly, okay, who's discover it? Oh, we had another one. This means we're finally to you.

• 1:20:08Speaker 04

Yeah, but let's, let's stay on Bo for a second because I have one more thing for you.

• 1:20:11Caleb Hammer?

We've been on Bo for an hour 21, but yeah, tell me.

• 1:20:14Speaker 03

  Bo's fine.

• 1:20:14Speaker 04

Because we started talking about the land, which makes me remember of his most recent purchase of the hunting property that he just purchased.

• 1:20:25Speaker 04

So if you want to keep talking about blades of brass.

• 1:20:27Caleb Hammer?

  Without your knowledge?

• 1:20:28Speaker 04

No, no, I was, I was in the loop, but.

• 1:20:31Caleb Hammer?

Did you stand up and say no?

• 1:20:33Speaker 03

It was, hey, there's this cool piece of property we.

• 1:20:35Speaker 04

It was just another impulse buy.

• 1:20:37Caleb Hammer?

Are you just buying land? Dude, it's not a toy. How much did you buy hunting land for? Whatever the fuck that even means.

• 1:20:43Speaker 03

Twelve thousand. That was part of that.

• 1:20:46Caleb Hammer?

How much land did you get to hunt on for twelve thousand dollars?

• 1:20:49Speaker 03

Well, it's not, I'm not hunting on the land. It's, it's to get started. We're right next to the big public property right there. It's the biggest deer in the state.

• 1:20:57Speaker 04

He bought land to put a camp.

• 1:20:59Speaker 03

I bought land that borders the, a very large piece of hunting property, public property.

• 1:21:05Caleb Hammer?

But can you hunt on yours?

• 1:21:07Speaker 03

I mean, deer will walk on it, but I'm not hunting.

• 1:21:09Caleb Hammer?

What is the point of this?

• 1:21:10Speaker 03

It's a base of operations to go hunt from.

• 1:21:12Speaker 04

  Put a camp on.

• 1:21:13Caleb Hammer?

Why can't you just drive there? How far is it?

• 1:21:15Speaker 03

  Four hours away.

• 1:21:16Caleb Hammer?

Why the fuck did you even get that? How often are you gonna do that?

• 1:21:18Speaker 03

  Every weekend.

• 1:21:19Speaker 04

He does go up there a lot.

• 1:21:20Caleb Hammer?

You abandoned your child and new mother. She's a brand new mother and you abandoned every weekend to go hunt?

• 1:21:27Speaker 03

No, the little crotch godwin's gonna come with me.

• 1:21:30Caleb Hammer?

  Has he so far?

• 1:21:31Speaker 04

  No.

• 1:21:32Caleb Hammer?

Then what the fuck are you talking about?

• 1:21:33Speaker 03

  He was just born.

• 1:21:34Caleb Hammer?

He was just born, which is when you should be home the most.

• 1:21:37Speaker 03

Actually, I tried to bring him in the boat not too long ago and she told me I couldn't.

• 1:21:41Caleb Hammer?

  Fair, with you drunk?

• 1:21:43Speaker 03

It's about time he starts learning to drive it, so we're good.

• 1:21:48Speaker 03

  He'll be all right.

• 1:21:48Speaker 04

No, he hasn't hunted since the baby was born because he had to stop hunting before. He hasn't hunted since.

• 1:21:54Caleb Hammer?

  Why?

• 1:21:54Speaker 04

  Because I told him.

• 1:21:55Speaker 03

Because I had to be there.

• 1:21:56Caleb Hammer?

Oh, shouldn't it even, shouldn't it even be because your wife told you because you want to be with your kid?

• 1:22:01Speaker 03

I did ask her a bunch of times if I could go, but.

• 1:22:04Caleb Hammer?

And it's okay to go. I'm not against, but every weekend's crazy with a new mother.

• 1:22:09Speaker 03

  She can come?

• 1:22:10Caleb Hammer?

A new mother and a newborn in a four hour drive.

• 1:22:12Speaker 03

  Well, that's why I stopped.

• 1:22:13Caleb Hammer?

Away from civilization if they need emergency diapers or something. What the fuck are we talking about?

• 1:22:18Speaker 04

  I'm not climbing a tree.

• 1:22:19Caleb Hammer?

  You are a bayou man.

• 1:22:21Speaker 03

Absolutely. Through and through. Go Tigers.

• 1:22:24Caleb Hammer?

Okay, is LSU in the bayou?

• 1:22:28Speaker 03

  An hour away.

• 1:22:29Caleb Hammer?

There you go. Did you go to LSU?

• 1:22:31Speaker 03

  Yeah, I did.

• 1:22:32Caleb Hammer?

  Okay.

• 1:22:32Speaker 03

I didn't graduate, but I did my four years.

• 1:22:34Caleb Hammer?

I didn't graduate either. I get it. And I did my five. I'm worse than you. Okay, so discover what's going on.

• 1:22:41Speaker 04

  Yeah, that's mine.

• 1:22:42Caleb Hammer?

By the way, how, wait, where'd you get the 12,000 to buy this?

• 1:22:45Speaker 03

That was part of that 401k loan.

• 1:22:47Caleb Hammer?

  Kill me.

• 1:22:48Speaker 04

  Yeah.

• 1:22:48Caleb Hammer?

Discover it. What are you doing?

• 1:22:49Speaker 04

Um, my Discover was like my first credit card ever.

• 1:22:52Caleb Hammer?

Great. Why does it have $4,084 on it?

• 1:22:55Speaker 04

Because I put some of the renovation on it and the couch.

• 1:22:58Caleb Hammer?

Renovation on a credit card? A 30% interest rate credit card? What are we doing? You're supposed to be the good one.

• 1:23:03Speaker 03

  It was a tub.

• 1:23:04Speaker 04

  No, it was.

• 1:23:04Caleb Hammer?

  Tub? Tub?

• 1:23:06Speaker 04

  Oh, I did.

• 1:23:06Caleb Hammer?

We're tubbing at 30%? You tub. I'm getting a brand new tub for my brand new house and it's nice. I'm paying in cash assholes.

• 1:23:13Speaker 03

  It's a very nice tub.

• 1:23:15Speaker 04

It is a very nice tub.

• 1:23:16Caleb Hammer?

  Mine's nicer. In cash!

• 1:23:18Speaker 03

  I don't think so.

• 1:23:19Caleb Hammer?

  So it doesn't matter.

• 1:23:20Speaker 04

  Yeah, I did.

• 1:23:21Caleb Hammer?

  You wanna see?

• 1:23:22Speaker 04

  What? This tub?

• 1:23:23Speaker 03

  I'll see it.

• 1:23:25Speaker 04

  Yeah, love a good tub.

• 1:23:26Caleb Hammer?

Jerking off tubs on each other right now? All right, let me find it.

• 1:23:30Speaker 04

  Let me find mine.

• 1:23:30Speaker 03

She actually hates your voice because I'll watch you when I'm in the shower. And she can hear it echoing.

• 1:23:34Caleb Hammer?

You're jerking off in the shower to my voice?

• 1:23:36Speaker 03

  Absolutely.

• 1:23:36Caleb Hammer?

  Nice, thank you.

• 1:23:39Caleb Hammer?

  Ready?

• 1:23:40Speaker 04

  Mm-hmm.

• 1:23:41Caleb Hammer?

  Wait.

• 1:23:41Speaker 04

You show me, I show you?

• 1:23:43Caleb Hammer?

No, I'm gonna, my, the address is.

• 1:23:44Speaker 03

Are we in the photo vault?

• 1:23:45Speaker 04

  It feels illicit.

• 1:23:47Caleb Hammer?

Three, two, one, you. Oh, mine is superior. Yours, yours is baked into the shower? Talk about poverty bathroom. Shower and tub at the same time?

• 1:24:00Speaker 03

  Do you have?

• 1:24:00Speaker 04

You can shower tub at the same time, but.

• 1:24:02Caleb Hammer?

  No, I don't.

• 1:24:03Speaker 04

They're just next to each other.

• 1:24:04Caleb Hammer?

Look, it's a whole individual shower.

• 1:24:06Speaker 04

  That is nice.

• 1:24:06Caleb Hammer?

Whole individual shower. You kidding me? What are we doing here?

• 1:24:08Speaker 03

And we got two shower heads. Do you have two shower heads?

• 1:24:11Caleb Hammer?

Uh, yes, including side jets in the shower.

• 1:24:13Speaker 04

  Wow.

• 1:24:14Caleb Hammer?

Yeah, there's one for my butthole and there's one for my legs.

• 1:24:18Speaker 03

  Okay, you have the superior.

• 1:24:19Caleb Hammer?

  And for the body.

• 1:24:19Speaker 03

You have the superior bathroom, but not the superior tub. I'll die on that.

• 1:24:23Caleb Hammer?

What are you talking about? This is a two-person lane side by side next to each other tubs.

• 1:24:27Speaker 04

  So is this.

• 1:24:28Caleb Hammer?

  Okay, I'll accept it.

• 1:24:30Speaker 03

  How deep is it?

• 1:24:30Caleb Hammer?

  We'll consider it a.

• 1:24:31Speaker 04

I was about to ask you that.

• 1:24:32Speaker 03

  How deep is it?

• 1:24:32Caleb Hammer?

  I don't know the metric.

• 1:24:34Speaker 04

  Ours is two.

• 1:24:35Speaker 03

  We go 28 inches deep.

• 1:24:39Caleb Hammer?

So why the are you spending $2,698 in here?

• 1:24:43Speaker 03

  Cause it's awesome.

• 1:24:43Caleb Hammer?

  In one month. That's insane.

• 1:24:45Speaker 04

Yeah, I did do a lot of purchases on that card that month.

• 1:24:48Speaker 03

I'm so glad we're on you now.

• 1:24:49Caleb Hammer?

16 years to pay this off for furniture, $2,000 couch?

• 1:24:53Speaker 04

Yeah, it was on sale. Black Friday.

• 1:24:57Speaker 03

Oh, that's my pet peeve with her. If it's on sale, it's free.

• 1:25:00Speaker 04

  Basically.

• 1:25:01Speaker 03

  No.

• 1:25:01Caleb Hammer?

That doesn't make sense. You're accruing interest. You're both the problem. You're not the, you're both the problem. Amazon, Spotify, Metamucil, I think, Amazon, Netflix, Amazon, Amazon, Hulu, Canva, and Roku.

• 1:25:16Speaker 04

I use this credit card for all of my online purchases. So it's like my subscription. So it's attached to everything. I rarely swipe it in person.

• 1:25:26Caleb Hammer?

Show me your Amazon. Hold it up.

• 1:25:28Speaker 04

So here's the thing with my Amazon. My entire family is on it.

• 1:25:32Caleb Hammer?

Why do so many people do that? It's so fucking hard.

• 1:25:34Speaker 03

I hate that too. That's stupid.

• 1:25:36Speaker 04

So like what you see on here is not me, all of me.

• 1:25:39Caleb Hammer?

  Give.

• 1:25:39Speaker 04

Here. I'm just letting you know, my dad, my dad has a problem with Amazon.

• 1:25:44Caleb Hammer?

You, you have a problem. You.

• 1:25:45Speaker 04

I do. I do have a problem with Amazon.

• 1:25:47Caleb Hammer?

For the life of you, manage credit cards. Neither of you. Get the FIS card, close these cards, because you're not even looking for debt anyway. So what the fuck are we doing? Yeah, lots of baby supplies.

• 1:25:57Speaker 04

Yeah. Not all, I'm telling you, not all of that is not.

• 1:25:59Caleb Hammer?

  I've heard you, woman!

• 1:26:00Speaker 04

I know, but my dad is crazy.

• 1:26:02Caleb Hammer?

You're right. I wouldn't tell her things either. If this is how she acts the moment we have a conversation. You already said that 10 times. Love you. Just stop.

• 1:26:12Caleb Hammer?

  Okay, endless phone cases.

• 1:26:14Speaker 04

  That was my brother.

• 1:26:17Caleb Hammer?

Cotton's Women Breathable. Please don't tell me that's your brother.

• 1:26:21Speaker 04

  No.

• 1:26:21Caleb Hammer?

Okay, or your dad. Lots of shirts. Hunt and tripod.

• 1:26:26Speaker 04

  That was my brother, actually.

• 1:26:29Caleb Hammer?

  And is that him?

• 1:26:30Speaker 04

  My brother.

• 1:26:32Caleb Hammer?

  Okay.

• 1:26:33Speaker 04

He has his own Amazon account.

• 1:26:34Caleb Hammer?

Yeah, it's a shit ton of bullshit. I'm not gonna, I'm not gonna wade through what's yours or what's theirs.

• 1:26:38Speaker 04

There's like five people on this account.

• 1:26:40Caleb Hammer?

And I'll also get your kid, I guess, because you guys have good jobs, a course career certification. So your kid can grow up nice and smart.

• 1:26:48Speaker 03

She wants to leave her job.

• 1:26:49Caleb Hammer?

  Oh, you do?

• 1:26:50Speaker 04

  I mean.

• 1:26:51Caleb Hammer?

Oh, I'll get you. What do you want?

• 1:26:53Speaker 04

  What do I want?

• 1:26:53Caleb Hammer?

What do you want to do?

• 1:26:56Speaker 04

That's a loaded question. I want to make money, you know, but.

• 1:26:58Caleb Hammer?

I'll get you a course career certification. A lot of people use it to change careers and make a lot more money out there in the audience, so.

• 1:27:03Speaker 04

I just, the only reason I would ever leave

• 1:27:07Speaker 04

  my company is.

• 1:27:08Caleb Hammer?

  What is this?

• 1:27:10Speaker 04

  I don't know.

• 1:27:11Caleb Hammer?

You sent it. Who sent it?

• 1:27:12Speaker 04

Oh, that's my, um, my Visa.

• 1:27:15Caleb Hammer?

Okay, what's going on with this?

• 1:27:17Speaker 04

My Venture One is, is like through my Capital One and I just use it like a regular credit card. Normally gas, groceries. That's the one that I swipe. Um, I had recently paid it off. So that's why it's so low.

• 1:27:30Caleb Hammer?

$279.85 recently. It's still there and you're spending on it. You're spending on it. $279. I can't even see the spending because like, what the are you doing?

• 1:27:40Speaker 04

  I don't know.

• 1:27:42Speaker 03

  That was me and my.

• 1:27:44Caleb Hammer?

Here we go. So this is the primary house.

• 1:27:47Speaker 04

  Yes.

• 1:27:47Caleb Hammer?

  And you're both on it?

• 1:27:49Speaker 04

  No, just me.

• 1:27:50Caleb Hammer?

  Just you? Isn't that weird?

• 1:27:52Speaker 03

  No, because, uh.

• 1:27:53Caleb Hammer?

  I know you're cut it's but.

• 1:27:55Speaker 03

  We weren't married.

• 1:27:55Caleb Hammer?

  But you're on the title.

• 1:27:56Speaker 03

No, we did, we did it before we were married because she was able, she was eligible for first time home buyer and I had already used mine up. So she got a way better interest rate than what we'd have got together.

• 1:28:07Caleb Hammer?

What's the way better interest rate? 5.875. I mean, it's fine for today.

• 1:28:11Speaker 03

If we'd have did it together, it would have been 7.9.

• 1:28:14Caleb Hammer?

Yeah. $282,342.28. The minimum monthly payment.

• 1:28:22Caleb Hammer?

Two thousand two hundred sixty-two dollars and forty-seven cents.

• 1:28:25Speaker 03

  We want to refinance too.

• 1:28:27Speaker 04

Yeah, it's because the interest rates are lower right now.

• 1:28:30Caleb Hammer?

Two percent lower? I don't think so.

• 1:28:33Speaker 03

  One percent.

• 1:28:34Caleb Hammer?

Well, you don't refinance for one percent lower. You refinance for two percent lower. No.

• 1:28:38Speaker 04

  Or more.

• 1:28:38Caleb Hammer?

Or more, not less. And I don't think you're getting a rate for three point eight seven five.

• 1:28:44Speaker 03

No, I thought the going thing.

• 1:28:46Caleb Hammer?

  Be going crazy if so.

• 1:28:46Speaker 03

I thought the going thing was one percent is when.

• 1:28:49Caleb Hammer?

Well, they want to make money. Two percent. So you can make money.

• 1:28:55Speaker 03

And we want to get PMI off of it, too.

• 1:28:58Caleb Hammer?

Well, that's fair. But again, still not worth it until you can at least get the, I wouldn't worry about that. I sent an egregious rate anyway. What's this? I don't even know what this is at eight percent. Guys, you send documents so weird. I can't even sort through this shit.

• 1:29:10Speaker 04

  That's a lot.

• 1:29:11Speaker 03

  Yeah, that's a lot.

• 1:29:12Caleb Hammer?

Oh, for sake, a stupid ass lot. And an eight percent lot, you lot.

• 1:29:19Speaker 03

Yeah, that's a balloon note. When I bought it, it was a five point six percent.

• 1:29:22Caleb Hammer?

  No.

• 1:29:23Speaker 03

  Yeah.

• 1:29:24Caleb Hammer?

Oh, what is wrong with you? I've never, no one's even done that in this show.

• 1:29:28Speaker 04

  What is that?

• 1:29:28Caleb Hammer?

  You're the first.

• 1:29:29Speaker 03

  It, well.

• 1:29:30Caleb Hammer?

  Bearable rate.

• 1:29:31Speaker 03

Sounds stupid if I try to describe it.

• 1:29:35Caleb Hammer?

  Okay, listen. Oh, my gosh.

• 1:29:37Speaker 03

Yeah, when I bought it, it was a five point six percent rate.

• 1:29:40Caleb Hammer?

It's chunky. It's a chunky minimum payment at that balance of eight hundred and twenty-nine dollars and sixty-two cents a month.

• 1:29:46Speaker 03

  Yeah.

• 1:29:47Caleb Hammer?

Gone. That's why you want to get rid of it, probably.

• 1:29:48Speaker 03

  That's what, that's.

• 1:29:49Caleb Hammer?

Well, that and the high interest rate of eight percent.

• 1:29:52Speaker 03

That just went up because it was a seven hundred and ten dollar payment. So.

• 1:29:56Caleb Hammer?

Yeah, it's going up at the rate. Seventy-five thousand, six hundred sixty-seven, seventy-five thousand, six hundred sixty-five dollars and thirty-seven cents. Capital One. Do I have this Capital One? Have we already looked at the Capital One that is under this credit report? Because you guys just can't send statements to save your life somehow.

• 1:30:13Speaker 03

  Under the credit.

• 1:30:13Speaker 04

  No, that's.

• 1:30:14Speaker 03

I sent all PDFs. That was the Capital One you already looked at.

• 1:30:18Caleb Hammer?

It is? So since your last report is gone, I did double that. That's wonderful. It's not all your debt? Oh, no. Okay, medical bill.

• 1:30:29Caleb Hammer?

Uh, hun- one thousand six hundred for something with you and then a hundred twenty dollars for the baby.

• 1:30:34Speaker 04

  I just gave birth.

• 1:30:35Caleb Hammer?

Well, yeah, a hundred twenty, but something sixteen hundred before that, right?

• 1:30:38Speaker 04

So me and the child are separate. So my medical bills for giving birth.

• 1:30:42Caleb Hammer?

Have you gone on a minimum monthly payment? Have you tried to dispute with insurance?

• 1:30:46Speaker 03

  We just got that.

• 1:30:47Speaker 04

  Yeah, it just came through.

• 1:30:48Caleb Hammer?

  What's your plan now?

• 1:30:49Speaker 04

It's pending insurance. Um, actually, we talked about it. Uh, once we get the final statement, I was paying it outright or the hospital that I-

• 1:30:59Caleb Hammer?

You can minimum bill, or sorry, you can get on a payment plan. They're usually pretty generous.

• 1:31:04Speaker 04

Yeah, the, the medical one that I can sign up for has, it's just, I pay monthly and there's no interest, no nothing. So it's just a matter of fact of paying it off at this point. But my insurance is still settling his, his bills because we were, we had separate.

• 1:31:18Caleb Hammer?

So that's the debt. Whose checking account is this? With a thousand five hundred sixty-five dollars eighty-four cents.

• 1:31:25Speaker 03

  That was probably what-

• 1:31:27Caleb Hammer?

Payroll from oil. Oh, wait, no, that's not payroll. POS payment oil, fuck.

• 1:31:31Speaker 04

  That's yours.

• 1:31:32Caleb Hammer?

  For gas.

• 1:31:33Speaker 03

  That's mine.

• 1:31:34Caleb Hammer?

Okay, so you got that, at least not negative, this one. Yeah, there's AT&T payments and fees, going to Subway out of all places. It's like literally the worst sandwich.

• 1:31:45Speaker 03

  It's delicious.

• 1:31:46Caleb Hammer?

It is not delicious. They have one of the better cookies, but it is the worst sandwich.

• 1:31:50Speaker 03

  The cookies are pretty-

• 1:31:50Caleb Hammer?

Jimmy John's is better, Jersey Mike's is better.

• 1:31:53Speaker 03

  We don't have that.

• 1:31:54Caleb Hammer?

What the is wrong with you guys?

• 1:31:55Speaker 04

  We live in the bayou.

• 1:31:57Caleb Hammer?

  But you have a Subway.

• 1:31:58Speaker 04

And a gas station. It's even worse.

• 1:32:01Caleb Hammer?

Guys live in civilization. What is wrong with you? Amazon.

• 1:32:05Speaker 03

That's why we're forced to cook more.

• 1:32:07Caleb Hammer?

Good. FanDuel, it's a hundred for FanDuel!

• 1:32:11Speaker 04

Oh, yeah, that is his car.

• 1:32:12Caleb Hammer?

Oh, stop! What are you doing, asshole?

• 1:32:16Speaker 03

  I make money.

• 1:32:19Speaker 03

  And actually, that one-

• 1:32:20Caleb Hammer?

Five thousand net over six years. Then that could go away just like that. And also, if we conclude it with your, if we add the concetus with that, and your gambling that you do with your friends is probably negative.

• 1:32:30Speaker 03

Actually, that two hundred was because a dude at work wanted to hide it from his wife, so he sent me, so he sent me the money to bet it for him.

• 1:32:40Caleb Hammer?

What the is wrong with you guys?

• 1:32:42Speaker 03

  We're degenerates.

• 1:32:44Speaker 03

We bet on anything and everything at work.

• 1:32:46Caleb Hammer?

  That's not healthy.

• 1:32:47Speaker 04

They bet on the birthday of our child.

• 1:32:50Caleb Hammer?

Yeah, they did. Why don't you bet on giving your child a better future, higher chances of success? More FanDuel, a hundred bucks.

• 1:32:56Speaker 03

The person that won that gave her half of the money.

• 1:32:58Caleb Hammer?

El Paso, not actually there, but it's a restaurant called El Paso Mexican Grill.

• 1:33:02Speaker 03

  Delicious.

• 1:33:03Speaker 04

It's the only Mexican. No, we have multiple.

• 1:33:06Speaker 03

  Yeah.

• 1:33:07Speaker 04

It's the most popular Mexican restaurant in our town.

• 1:33:09Speaker 03

  It's the only one.

• 1:33:10Caleb Hammer?

  Town of like 10 people.

• 1:33:11Speaker 04

  They have live music.

• 1:33:11Caleb Hammer?

You went in the gas station, got some bullshit.

• 1:33:15Caleb Hammer?

ATM transaction fee, ATM taken out, who knows where that went, probably the strip club. FanDuel, 300 bucks, FanDuel 50 bucks, FanDuel 50 bucks, Amazon.

• 1:33:27Caleb Hammer?

SPC pad dick, I don't even know, $63. Waffle House, McDonald's, getting some bullshit.

• 1:33:37Speaker 03

The Waffle House was because a friend lost at fantasy football.

• 1:33:41Caleb Hammer?

  What?

• 1:33:42Speaker 03

He did the Waffle House challenge.

• 1:33:43Caleb Hammer?

Oh, shut the up. Bullshit, Honeydew Cafe, potential bullshit. Frank's supermarket, yeah, but potential bullshit because it's like nine bucks.

• 1:33:54Speaker 03

  That's groceries.

• 1:33:55Caleb Hammer?

Yeah, but who knows, you may have gone and got some snacks for $9.

• 1:33:58Speaker 03

Well, we don't ever like do the big shopping trips, so, and Frank's is like five minutes away, so whenever.

• 1:34:04Caleb Hammer?

What about Walmart the same day for six bucks? Same day.

• 1:34:08Speaker 04

  You were looking for something.

• 1:34:09Caleb Hammer?

  Exactly.

• 1:34:09Speaker 03

Is that, that's probably the gas station at Walmart.

• 1:34:12Caleb Hammer?

I have a feeling some bullshit and Venmo in on 190, probably lost a bet. Some bullshit, DoorDash, small town, but big enough for DoorDash for a hundred bucks DoorDash. Cue.

• 1:34:25Caleb Hammer?

Your savings 100 bucks down from 105. What, what, what a hero, what a king.

• 1:34:31Caleb Hammer?

Okay, your checking account, 2,000 bucks on it, but still a lot of bullshit. Chick-fil-A, Apple Bill, Smoothie King.

• 1:34:37Speaker 03

  Yeah.

• 1:34:37Caleb Hammer?

Coffee, Hobby Lobby, 158 dollars for Hobby Lobby, Chick-fil-A, going into bullshit or groceries. Smoothie King, Copeland's in New Orleans, then we're now $300, then we're now $193.

• 1:34:52Speaker 03

  Are you betting?

• 1:34:52Caleb Hammer?

Bamboo Garden, Hollywood Team Nails, Apple Bill, Apple Bill, Smoothie King, Apple Bill, Apple Bill, Apple Bill, Apple Bill. What are you doing? Pull out your phone. Pull your phone, give me your phone.

• 1:35:01Speaker 03

  We're gonna see.

• 1:35:02Caleb Hammer?

  Give me your phone.

• 1:35:03Speaker 04

  No, I don't have Tinder.

• 1:35:07Caleb Hammer?

Savings in here 9,000 that is actually good, but it actually started with 10,200. You had to take a thousand, a thousand 200 out.

• 1:35:16Caleb Hammer?

Why'd you have to take 1,200 out? Cause you guys are spending more than you make.

• 1:35:19Speaker 04

Did it have a thousand 200 go in?

• 1:35:20Caleb Hammer?

No. It started with 10, 200. It ended with 9.

• 1:35:25Speaker 04

  Oh, oh, that's.

• 1:35:26Speaker 03

She went to a strip club.

• 1:35:28Caleb Hammer?

  Did you?

• 1:35:29Speaker 04

No. But there was an, I didn't know if you're talking about, there was an.

• 1:35:32Caleb Hammer?

Cycle tracking Gmail, iCloud and Snapchat plus?

• 1:35:37Speaker 04

That's because they told me you're gonna delete my memories.

• 1:35:39Caleb Hammer?

  Apple Play.

• 1:35:40Speaker 04

Yeah. I also had to upgrade my storage.

• 1:35:46Caleb Hammer?

  Listen, household income $7,800.

• 1:35:51Caleb Hammer?

Let me get your debt minimum monthly payments and not mortgage.

• 1:35:53Speaker 04

The mortgage comes out of my savings sometimes, so that's probably where.

• 1:35:57Caleb Hammer?

Why? It's a payment. Minimum monthly payment. It's not a savings related. That doesn't make sense.

• 1:36:04Speaker 03

  We alternate paying the mortgage.

• 1:36:06Caleb Hammer?

What do you mean? Between each other?

• 1:36:07Speaker 04

  Yeah.

• 1:36:08Caleb Hammer?

What the is with you guys? You, that's not budgeting. Okay, go through our Master Your Money programs where you got the debt class, the budgeting class, the investing class, the real estate class. You need that one. It'll teach you guys how to actually budget as a couple and do all that stuff. It's incredible. And join the community. That's part of the Master Your Money program as well. Hold each other accountable and educate each other. But you guys don't, you guys don't know what the you're doing.

• 1:36:31Speaker 04

  Not at all.

• 1:36:31Caleb Hammer?

Alternating mortgage? What, what a joke. Debt minimum monthly payments and not mortgage, $1,740.93.

• 1:36:40Caleb Hammer?

Mortgage, $2,262.47. What's our gas, electric, internet all combined?

• 1:36:47Speaker 03

  I wrote this all down.

• 1:36:48Caleb Hammer?

Internet speeds do you get out there?

• 1:36:50Speaker 03

  Gas 300.

• 1:36:52Speaker 04

  Oh, combined. Oh.

• 1:36:54Speaker 03

Um, electric, electric two fit, oh, all combined. Electric, water and internets together. So 250, 350, 450, 440.

• 1:37:03Caleb Hammer?

  And then internet?

• 1:37:04Speaker 03

Internet. Well, that was internet too.

• 1:37:06Caleb Hammer?

Oh, so 440 for utilities. Good. Gas, vroom, vroom, drive, drive.

• 1:37:11Speaker 03

  Three hundred.

• 1:37:12Caleb Hammer?

  For both of you combined?

• 1:37:14Speaker 03

Oh, when you said gas, I thought you-

• 1:37:15Caleb Hammer?

  Vroom, vroom, drive, drive.

• 1:37:16Speaker 03

Okay, that was the gas three hundred.

• 1:37:19Caleb Hammer?

I know, driving gas, how much?

• 1:37:21Speaker 03

  Three hundred.

• 1:37:21Speaker 04

  No.

• 1:37:22Caleb Hammer?

Oh, gas for the house is how much?

• 1:37:23Speaker 03

Yeah, I put that all, we don't have gas.

• 1:37:26Caleb Hammer?

So four, how much is your utilities for the house on a monthly basis?

• 1:37:30Speaker 03

  Four forty.

• 1:37:30Caleb Hammer?

Including internet? Okay, and then gas is three hundred?

• 1:37:32Speaker 03

  Yes.

• 1:37:33Caleb Hammer?

  Okay.

• 1:37:34Speaker 04

You, yeah, I guess the both of us.

• 1:37:36Caleb Hammer?

  Car insurance is?

• 1:37:38Speaker 03

  Uh, three hundred and sixty.

• 1:37:39Caleb Hammer?

  Eee. Phone bill?

• 1:37:42Speaker 03

  Uh, one fifty.

• 1:37:45Caleb Hammer?

That's not bad for two people, okay. Necessary food should be able to do six hundred, it's on the nipple, right? The child?

• 1:37:52Speaker 04

  Yep.

• 1:37:52Caleb Hammer?

Good. Six hundred for food, meal prepping, warming things up. It's chill, it's easy, it's simple. You already got the Walmart there, you're fine.

• 1:38:01Speaker 03

  Yeah, we don't meal-

• 1:38:02Caleb Hammer?

  TP fund-

• 1:38:02Speaker 03

  We just don't meal-

• 1:38:03Caleb Hammer?

Anything else you need to survive, two hundred and fifty dollars, a little more for the kid, the diapers, two hundred and fifty dollars. Medical healthcare, there are copays on a monthly basis, medication, therapies, any of that kind of stuff.

• 1:38:12Speaker 03

  Usually about a hundred.

• 1:38:14Caleb Hammer?

  Cool. Is there a gym?

• 1:38:16Speaker 03

  Yes, fifty.

• 1:38:18Caleb Hammer?

Good. You said there's a dog.

• 1:38:21Speaker 04

There's one, we have two dogs.

• 1:38:23Caleb Hammer?

Okay, a hundred dollars pet insurance.

• 1:38:26Caleb Hammer?

And how much for pet food?

• 1:38:27Speaker 03

  Fifty.

• 1:38:29Caleb Hammer?

Anything else that needs to be, oh, subscriptions, I'll do fifty, anything else that needs to be in this budget, needs to be, before I add any room for fun. What am I missing?

• 1:38:39Speaker 03

  I don't-

• 1:38:40Speaker 04

I think you got it all.

• 1:38:41Speaker 03

  I think we're good.

• 1:38:42Speaker 04

  I don't have a car note. He doesn't have a car note.

• 1:38:45Caleb Hammer?

I know, but we have expensive as dicks car insurance.

• 1:38:47Speaker 04

  Yeah.

• 1:38:49Speaker 03

  Grass maintenance.

• 1:38:51Caleb Hammer?

  How much is that?

• 1:38:52Speaker 03

I don't know. I take care of my own grass, but-

• 1:38:54Caleb Hammer?

  Oh, okay.

• 1:38:55Speaker 03

Oh, it's like a golf course.

• 1:38:58Speaker 04

He decided to plow the entire backyard and lay down Bermuda. And it was five thousand dollars.

• 1:39:04Speaker 03

  Six thousand.

• 1:39:04Speaker 04

  Six thousand dollars.

• 1:39:05Caleb Hammer?

You guys- You guys are actually, you have a thousand dollars left over. Listen, you have no room for fun money, no room for Bermuda, no room for all that bullshit, listen, all your debt combined without the mortgage is still crazy. And I hope you sell this lot, so I'll wipe out the, uh, not the ten thousand apparent, because you won't be able to pay that off, but the lot, let's wipe off that seventy-five thousand, six hundred and sixty-five dollars and thirty-seven cents.

• 1:39:31Speaker 03

I wouldn't wipe it off, I don't think it's gonna sell anytime soon, right now.

• 1:39:36Speaker 03

Nobody wants to buy land right now.

• 1:39:39Caleb Hammer?

Well, let me remove the mortgage and put back the lot.

• 1:39:43Caleb Hammer?

So $151,187,000 of debt we have to pay off.

• 1:39:53Caleb Hammer?

Crazy guys. By the by, I thought, I mean, it's simple math. It takes 157 months. What are we doing?

• 1:40:02Caleb Hammer?

That is 13 years. It's unacceptable. Bankruptcy is better.

• 1:40:07Caleb Hammer?

And I don't think we want to go through bankruptcy necessarily. What's clear is you need to work overtime up the deck and bring in an extra 2,000 hours a month, put it all towards it. And you need to work more hours or get a second job. Once you can go back to work. Oh, I don't know what the living situation for the kids is going to be like at that point, but the fact is you just, you guys can't have. Paying off this debt, it's either bankruptcy or literally working double hours or getting two times raises. What other options are there? I mean, letting everything go to collections and potentially getting sued.

• 1:40:37Speaker 03

I'll have three different outages that I'll be able to go to this year.

• 1:40:40Caleb Hammer?

Good. Well, how do you know?

• 1:40:42Speaker 03

Because we're already scheduled for it.

• 1:40:44Caleb Hammer?

  The outages are scheduled?

• 1:40:45Speaker 03

Yeah, they're scheduled years in advance.

• 1:40:48Caleb Hammer?

Oh, so, okay, it's not like a, okay, I understand.

• 1:40:51Speaker 03

Because once you're qualified to work at one nuclear site, you're qualified for all of them.

• 1:40:55Caleb Hammer?

That's not what I thought you meant when you said outages.

• 1:40:57Speaker 04

  It's like a maintenance outage.

• 1:41:00Speaker 03

And that's not counting emergencies that I might get called for.

• 1:41:04Caleb Hammer?

  Okay, well, that's good.

• 1:41:07Caleb Hammer?

But that's a, that's a minimum requirement. Listen, if you bring in as much money as you brought in last month. Like, we can start chipping away at this debt, but 13 years is unacceptable. The kid shouldn't have to go through that.

• 1:41:17Speaker 03

Well, hopefully the lot sells and then that gets.

• 1:41:19Caleb Hammer?

If the lot sells, that moves the needle a lot quicker. That probably pays it off, what, in seven years? And then work more hours. If you can pay this off in four years, I'll accept that. But that's with no funds.

• 1:41:29Speaker 01

• 1:43:28Speaker 03

  50,000.

• 1:43:29Caleb Hammer?

Yeah, half of it's tied up in the 401k loan. So then you, I don't see retirement, you're retiring.

• 1:43:33Speaker 04

  I have a 401k.

• 1:43:34Caleb Hammer?

  How much?

• 1:43:34Speaker 04

I have about 20,000 in there right now.

• 1:43:37Caleb Hammer?

Okay, so you have like 50 net. 50 net for what you guys make at 30, you should be at 200,000 hours. Household retirement, you got about, okay. I'll say three out of 10, being generous. Real estate, listen, a lot of things. I don't know how much equity you have in your house.

• 1:43:54Speaker 03

  Forty thousand.

• 1:43:55Caleb Hammer?

He was planning on potentially going to one of the card houses while he was here because he knew there are card houses and he could go play poker.

• 1:44:22Caleb Hammer?

Focus on your fucking wife, dude. You're gonna gamble while in Austin at a card house? Focus on your fucking wife, dude. What is wrong with you?

• 1:44:28Speaker 03

When I told her I have wagered over

• 1:44:33Speaker 03

and that's Justin Fan, do that's not counting DraftKings and all that other stuff.

• 1:44:36Speaker 07

He's allowed to fuck his own life.

• 1:44:38Speaker 04

  Right.

• 1:44:39Speaker 07

You're allowing him to fuck your life.

• 1:44:41Speaker 04

  Correct.

• 1:44:41Speaker 07

Now you have a kid in the mix. That kid didn't ask to be here.

• 1:44:45Speaker 04

At this point, all of these arguments have already been had and I'm at a point where I've I've hit a wall with him.
