Yes, sir. And gang, we couldn't be more excited to have our incredibly, and I mean incredibly special guest here with us today for the first time. He is a very funny, very successful stand-up comedian, actor, writer, producer. He is one of the co-creators and stars of the hit series Tires over there on Netflix that's streaming right now. Do yourself a favor, give it up for the Philadelphia legend, Steve Gerben, everybody. Let's go. Gerben! Gerben, you were the hot dog when we started comedy. We were low-level open micers. You were up there killing it.

• 2:11Speaker 03

Yeah, there was a couple of years.

• 2:15Speaker 01

I was just trying to talk, I couldn't remember.

• 2:17H. Foley?

  Oozing with confidence.

• 2:18Speaker 01

I couldn't remember, you had this joke, when I started, you were, it was to watch you do it at Helium, it was about getting donuts, the woman getting donuts.

• 2:26Speaker 03

  Yeah, yeah, yeah.

• 2:27Speaker 01

Dude, the woman that worked at Dunkin' Donuts, and I remember sitting there being like, "Man, this guy's got it. I do not, I do not belong in this room."

• 2:34Speaker 03

  Thanks, man.

• 2:34Speaker 01

  This guy is cooking.

• 2:35H. Foley?

Buddy, we love you, thank you for coming in and sitting down with us.

• 2:38Speaker 03

  Thank you for having me.

• 2:39H. Foley?

  Are you kidding me?

• 2:40Speaker 03

And, and because, and everybody, you guys sent a car to pick me up.

• 2:44Speaker 01

Sure, it was a Toyota Corolla, but still.

• 2:47Speaker 03

It was not, it was a, it was a black SUV, it was, I mean, driver couldn't be nice.

• 2:52H. Foley?

Act apart a little bit, will you, Jesus?

• 2:54Speaker 03

  It was incredible.

• 2:55H. Foley?

  You're stunned by the car.

• 2:56Speaker 03

Because I'll just say this really quick, before we get into it, but you are a very good host, you've always been.

• 2:59H. Foley?

  Thank you.

• 3:00Speaker 03

And, you know, even when we were doing it at the Raven, you would always, you're just so good at that, and like, your texts, it's like, "Do you want to come do this? We'll send you a car." Like, "Yes."

• 3:10Speaker 01

  What, what?

• 3:13H. Foley?

I love how the car blew him away, that's great.

• 3:15Speaker 01

How else would have you gotten up here?

• 3:16Speaker 03

I would have driven to the train station, taken the train, gotten fussy while I was waiting for the train, then tried to like, find my way to an Uber, a cab would have tried to scam me, and then I would have finally gotten here, and I would have been sweaty and just like, miffed. That's it, so.

• 3:35H. Foley?

Just to break the fourth wall a little bit, he did get lost getting here. When I, when I said, "Where are you at?" And you said, "I don't know," I was like, "What?"

• 3:44Speaker 01

  I'm in New York City.

• 3:45Speaker 03

No, why, come on, because you said 45, and then one thing said 15-45, but it was like, halal, or whatever, and I was like, "I don't know."

• 3:51H. Foley?

So, I got a hot dog in.

• 3:54Speaker 03

  Yeah.

• 3:55H. Foley?

Uh, give us the backstory, we know, we know you're a Westchester kid, right?

• 3:58Speaker 03

Uh, well, yeah, so I actually like, Berwyn, Pennsylvania.

• 4:03H. Foley?

  Okay.

• 4:04Speaker 03

Grew up, and then, um, so it was part of that whole TE, True Different East Town.

• 4:07H. Foley?

  What?

• 4:08Speaker 03

  Oh, sorry.

• 4:11Speaker 01

You said that like we're at the zoning meeting.

• 4:12Speaker 03

I thought you guys were like Philadelphia or something.

• 4:15Speaker 01

I didn't understand the two words you said.

• 4:18Speaker 03

  So Tridiffin Easttown.

• 4:19Speaker 01

  Trifidin? I don't know.

• 4:21Speaker 03

  Tridiffin?

• 4:22H. Foley?

  Tridiffin?

• 4:23Speaker 03

  Yeah.

• 4:24H. Foley?

  That's a town. Tridiffin.

• 4:26Speaker 03

Well, hold on. It's always hyphenated with east. Tridiffin Easttown. Yes.

• 4:31H. Foley?

  Okay.

• 4:32Speaker 03

  Yeah.

• 4:33H. Foley?

Is that near Sia Minsen? What's the name of that town?

• 4:35Speaker 03

I have no idea, but it's T E. T E Middle School is the middle, yeah.

• 4:39Speaker 01

  Okay.

• 4:39Speaker 03

  So.

• 4:40Speaker 01

All right, okay. So it's a town in, is outside of Berwyn or near Berwyn?

• 4:46Speaker 03

  I.

• 4:46Speaker 01

  Oh, really? We're really.

• 4:48Speaker 03

I think Berwyn is encompassed in whatever this thing is.

• 4:53Speaker 01

  The greater T E area.

• 4:57Speaker 01

  Okay.

• 4:57Speaker 03

  Local politics are confusing.

• 5:00H. Foley?

Growing up, your dad did have a tire shop, right?

• 5:03Speaker 03

That's right. Yeah, he had Valley Forge Auto.

• 5:04H. Foley?

  Right.

• 5:05Speaker 03

Which I think he started in 79.

• 5:07H. Foley?

  Okay.

• 5:07Speaker 03

And then, um, that, that lasted, I don't know, I want to say like 20 some odd years.

• 5:13H. Foley?

  Uh huh.

• 5:14Speaker 03

And then, uh, he was kind of headed towards either like bankruptcy or sell it, sold it and then started a new one.

• 5:20H. Foley?

  Same exact type of thing.

• 5:22Speaker 03

  Yeah, yeah.

• 5:22Speaker 01

  Respect the move.

• 5:23H. Foley?

And what'd your mom do when you were growing up?

• 5:25Speaker 03

Uh, well, my mom was a stay at home mom. She was, uh, an RN.

• 5:28H. Foley?

  Your dad was doing okay?

• 5:29Speaker 03

He was, yeah, it was like, uh, it was a weird type of okay. Like, there was good years and bad years. I think it's like any entrepreneur.

• 5:37H. Foley?

Would you, you wouldn't be considered the main line, would you?

• 5:39Speaker 03

  You are definitely.

• 5:40H. Foley?

  You are the main.

• 5:40Speaker 03

  Berwyn is his main line.

• 5:41H. Foley?

  There we go.

• 5:42Speaker 01

  Really?

• 5:43H. Foley?

Yeah, which is, just so you folks know, that's a real nice part of Philadelphia.

• 5:46Speaker 01

  A little bit of K.

• 5:47H. Foley?

  Yeah, old school money too.

• 5:49Speaker 03

It is. There is a lot of old school.

• 5:51H. Foley?

Lot of old tire money out there.

• 5:52Speaker 03

I don't know about that, but yeah.

• 5:56H. Foley?

And you guys were in a single family home?

• 5:58Speaker 03

  Yes.

• 5:58Speaker 01

  What?

• 6:00Speaker 03

Oh, a single fam- no, no, our parents together. Oh.

• 6:06Speaker 03

  Uh, yes, it was attached.

• 6:09H. Foley?

Yeah, we were broke, so what?

• 6:12Speaker 03

No, it was standalone, like a house, a normal house.

• 6:16Speaker 01

It wasn't a condo or a townhouse or an apartment. It was a, just your family lived in.

• 6:22Speaker 03

  Yes.

• 6:23Speaker 01

  Man, Gervis folds under questioning.

• 6:25H. Foley?

  He does.

• 6:26Speaker 03

Well, no, I didn't know, a single family household, is that what you said? Single.

• 6:31H. Foley?

A single family home is a regular home.

• 6:34Speaker 01

  Is what describes the dwelling.

• 6:36Speaker 03

I understand that, but how would you describe a single parent?

• 6:39Speaker 01

  Single parent home.

• 6:39H. Foley?

  Yeah, single parent.

• 6:43H. Foley?

  And brothers and sisters?

• 6:44Speaker 03

  Older brother.

• 6:45H. Foley?

  One older brother?

• 6:46Speaker 03

  Yep.

• 6:46H. Foley?

How far apart are you guys?

• 6:47Speaker 03

  Two years.

• 6:48H. Foley?

  Two years, that's great.

• 6:49Speaker 03

  Yep.

• 6:49H. Foley?

Okay, so you guys were together all through elementary school, high school, all that stuff?

• 6:53Speaker 03

  Yes.

• 6:53H. Foley?

  Fantastic.

• 6:54Speaker 01

What were the, what were the sports growing up?

• 6:56Speaker 03

  Baseball.

• 6:57Speaker 01

  Baseball?

• 6:57Speaker 03

  Yep.

• 6:58Speaker 01

  What position?

• 6:59Speaker 03

Well, I didn't make it that far. I got, I got hit by a pitch.

• 7:02H. Foley?

  To get a position?

• 7:05Speaker 01

I missed the day they were handing out jerseys.

• 7:10H. Foley?

I got hit with a fly ball coming out of the dugout, that was it.

• 7:12Speaker 03

Yeah, well, no, so I made, so I made it to kid pitch, but.

• 7:18H. Foley?

  That's like the majors.

• 7:19Speaker 03

It was huge. And then my dad.

• 7:22Speaker 01

That scared me. Kid pitch, I was, I was a very nervous fat kid and I was okay with T-ball and coach pitch even, but that kid pitch.

• 7:30H. Foley?

We didn't have coach pitch when I was a kid.

• 7:32Speaker 01

  I was playing against adults.

• 7:33H. Foley?

Yeah, you went from T-ball right to kid pitch.

• 7:35Speaker 03

  Oh, really?

• 7:36H. Foley?

Yeah, this is the early 80s.

• 7:37Speaker 03

No, kid pitch, and then my dad, like, got me a special helmet to protect my face. So then, like, it had this, like, big plastic guard on it, so I couldn't really see that well at all.

• 7:49H. Foley?

You look like a Mandalorian out there playing?

• 7:53Speaker 03

  So, uh.

• 7:54H. Foley?

Wait, why? Why did he, why up the joke?

• 7:57Speaker 01

  You had been hit.

• 7:58Speaker 03

No, no, that was the first time that I got hit in the head, yes, I was like a bobblehead with that thing on. Uh, I think it was just generally, like, cautious about my health and well-being.

• 8:09Speaker 01

  Sure.

• 8:09Speaker 03

Cause the arthritis was when I was two.

• 8:12H. Foley?

  Gotcha.

• 8:12Speaker 01

  Oh, really?

• 8:12Speaker 03

Or Bowel Syndrome. I'm saying, like, the actual thing.

• 8:14H. Foley?

Gotcha. So you had that already, so they wanted to be careful with it?

• 8:18Speaker 03

  Right.

• 8:18H. Foley?

Gotcha. Were the kids brutal about that helmet?

• 8:21Speaker 03

  In school?

• 8:22H. Foley?

Yeah, well, no, did they tease you about the helmet?

• 8:24Speaker 03

  No, oh, with the helmet?

• 8:25H. Foley?

  Yeah.

• 8:26Speaker 03

  Yeah, no. Yeah.

• 8:30Speaker 03

Well, you know the story about like when I was in school, like my, everybody was nice except for like the kid with Down syndrome who was the one that picked on me.

• 8:39Speaker 01

  Really?

• 8:40Speaker 03

Yeah, cuz I was like really short, my growth was stunted and then he, you know.

• 8:46Speaker 01

He wasn't the nicest to you?

• 8:47Speaker 03

  Right.

• 8:49Speaker 03

  But anyway.

• 8:49Speaker 01

Is this public school or private school?

• 8:51Speaker 03

  Public.

• 8:51Speaker 01

  Public.

• 8:52H. Foley?

  Where did you go?

• 8:53Speaker 03

  Conestoga.

• 8:53H. Foley?

  Conestoga?

• 8:54Speaker 01

  Oh, I know Conestoga, okay.

• 8:55H. Foley?

Very nice. So, hold on, so, did you stop playing after kid pitch? Was that the end of the baseball career?

• 9:02Speaker 03

Yeah, I got like two seasons in.

• 9:03H. Foley?

  You got two seasons in?

• 9:04Speaker 03

Yeah, I was actually, and this is an ominous thing to say ahead of like throwing out a first pitch, but I was a decent pitcher because, because I threw so slow that it was like hard to time up.

• 9:14H. Foley?

  Gotcha.

• 9:15Speaker 03

  Coming in is like...

• 9:15Speaker 01

Mm-hmm. You're like Rookie of the Year, the floater at the end. They fucking let him have it.

• 9:20Speaker 03

But I was decent. I could throw a strike, yeah.

• 9:23H. Foley?

  Alright.

• 9:23Speaker 01

Huh. What was the family vacation like growing up? Where were you going?

• 9:27Speaker 03

Uh, there were no real family vacations. We did one time to Disney World. It was like a disaster.

• 9:31Speaker 01

  Sure, they usually are.

• 9:32Speaker 03

  Yeah.

• 9:33Speaker 01

There's just so much pressure on.

• 9:34H. Foley?

You guys didn't go down ashore or anything like that in the summer?

• 9:36Speaker 03

Uh, well, we did have a family friend that had a shore house, so we would go there, Darren Carroll and...

• 9:41Speaker 01

  What, uh...

• 9:42H. Foley?

  A family friend?

• 9:43Speaker 01

  What beach was it?

• 9:44Speaker 03

  Uh, Ocean City.

• 9:45H. Foley?

Okay. And was there extended family in the, in the, in the mainline area, like cousins and stuff like that around?

• 9:51Speaker 03

Uh, not in the mainline, no. They were, uh, Marysville and then also Bucks County.

• 9:56H. Foley?

Okay, so you did see an extended family?

• 9:58Speaker 03

  Yes.

• 9:59H. Foley?

  Okay.

• 9:59Speaker 03

  Yeah.

• 10:00H. Foley?

  Gotcha.

• 10:00Speaker 03

  My mom's side is Catholic.

• 10:02H. Foley?

  Okay.

• 10:02Speaker 03

  So, there's just a lot.

• 10:03Speaker 01

Sounds like you're upset about that.

• 10:05Speaker 03

No, it's just a lot of cousins.

• 10:07H. Foley?

  What's your dad's side?

• 10:08Speaker 03

  Jewish.

• 10:08H. Foley?

  Really?

• 10:09Speaker 03

  And then my mom converted.

• 10:10H. Foley?

  No kidding?

• 10:11Speaker 03

  Yeah, yeah.

• 10:11H. Foley?

I didn't know that. Did you have a bar mitzvah?

• 10:14Speaker 03

  I did, yeah.

• 10:14Speaker 01

  No way.

• 10:15H. Foley?

Really? What kinda cash you pulling for that?

• 10:18Speaker 03

  What kinda cash?

• 10:18H. Foley?

  Yeah.

• 10:19Speaker 03

I think it was like three or four thousand dollars.

• 10:20H. Foley?

  Yeah.

• 10:21Speaker 03

It did go to my dog's surgery. Scooby needed it like tumors and my dad was like, whoa.

• 10:25Speaker 01

He got hit by a bitch.

• 10:28Speaker 01

  Goddamn Rufus didn't see it.

• 10:29H. Foley?

Wait a minute, what the fuck? Hold on. Alright.

• 10:33Speaker 01

Where, okay, let's take it a little slow. Where was the, where was the event? Where was this? So, obviously at the synagogue, and then where was the party? Do you remember?

• 10:40Speaker 03

I don't remember. The synagogue was Temple Brickehemer, however you... Brickehemer.

• 10:49H. Foley?

  Alright, so, family-

• 10:50Speaker 03

Wait, can I say, reject something here?

• 10:52Speaker 01

  Please.

• 10:53Speaker 03

Like, the last time we did a Hanukkah thing-

• 10:55Speaker 01

  Mm-hmm.

• 10:56Speaker 03

It was a family, my, my friend Drew, who's Indian, was, uh, over and he-

• 11:01Speaker 01

Get an Indian guy over for Hanukkah?

• 11:02Speaker 03

Yeah, he was just over and we were like lighting the candles and we were singing. And he started laughing so hard. He was crying and felt bad.

• 11:12Speaker 01

  Uh-huh.

• 11:13Speaker 03

But, that was the last time we ever did the singing. It humiliated all of us.

• 11:18Speaker 01

  I get it.

• 11:21H. Foley?

He gets up and walks out, like, just dying laughing, I can't- Ah, shit. Alright, so the family pet was a dog?

• 11:27Speaker 03

  That's right.

• 11:27H. Foley?

Any other weird pets growing up? Any turtles, any frogs, anything like that?

• 11:31Speaker 01

  Snakes.

• 11:31Speaker 03

  Uh, goldfish.

• 11:32H. Foley?

  Goldfish?

• 11:33Speaker 03

  Yeah.

• 11:33H. Foley?

What kind of dog was it?

• 11:34Speaker 03

  She was a mutt.

• 11:35H. Foley?

  She was a mutt?

• 11:35Speaker 03

Yeah, so, part German shepherd, part lab-

• 11:38H. Foley?

  Name?

• 11:38Speaker 03

  Scooby.

• 11:39H. Foley?

  Scooby, okay.

• 11:40Speaker 03

With an I-E, because it was a girl, that's why.

• 11:42Speaker 01

Copyright infringement. Couldn't get the rights.

• 11:45H. Foley?

Didn't want Hanna-Barbera coming after him. Alright, so, then around your 13th birthday, the dog got sick?

• 11:53Speaker 03

It was, it was after that. Like, the, the money was taken, put into a savings account-

• 11:56H. Foley?

  Right.

• 11:57Speaker 03

And then accessed for the surgery for the dog.

• 11:59H. Foley?

Wow, how come you had to pay for it?

• 12:01Speaker 01

Must have been one of the lean years at the tire shop, yeah.

• 12:04H. Foley?

It was a lean year, and they were like, "Listen, if you want to save the dog..."

• 12:07Speaker 03

He was like, "Well, Steve, you know, we'll pay it back," and then-

• 12:11Speaker 01

They never do. They never pay it back.

• 12:13Speaker 03

No, he, my dad has paid that back-

• 12:16Speaker 01

  Okay.

• 12:16Speaker 03

Thousands of times ever, yeah, yeah.

• 12:18H. Foley?

  Man, that is wild.

• 12:19Speaker 01

  Huh.

• 12:20H. Foley?

  Saved the dog?

• 12:21Speaker 03

  Yeah.

• 12:21H. Foley?

How long did the dog live for after that?

• 12:23Speaker 03

Uh, she lived till she was 15.

• 12:24H. Foley?

  Okay.

• 12:24Speaker 03

  Her dog's pretty good.

• 12:26H. Foley?

  Not bad.

• 12:27Speaker 01

  Huh.

• 12:27H. Foley?

  Pretty good surgery.

• 12:28Speaker 01

  Okay.

• 12:29H. Foley?

Alright, fair enough. What was the first job?

• 12:32Speaker 03

Well, uh, first job was like, cleaning bathrooms at my dad's shop, but like, the first job outside of that was at a bakery, a, uh, dishwasher.

• 12:40H. Foley?

  Okay.

• 12:41Speaker 03

It lasted like, two days, and then my cousin called and quit.

• 12:44H. Foley?

  What? Wait, what?

• 12:46Speaker 03

I lasted two days, and then I had my cousin call and quit.

• 12:49Speaker 01

Your cousin called in for you?

• 12:50Speaker 03

  Yeah, yeah.

• 12:51Speaker 01

Did he act like, "Hey, this is Steve, I quit"?

• 12:53Speaker 03

No, he just said, "Steve quit."

• 12:55Speaker 01

Steve has retained me as his, as an employment council, and he won't-

• 12:58H. Foley?

  To whom it may concern-

• 12:59Speaker 03

  Yeah.

• 13:00H. Foley?

  Consider this Stephen's resignation.

• 13:02Speaker 03

  Yeah.

• 13:04H. Foley?

Alright. How were your grades in school? Were you a good student?

• 13:07Speaker 03

  Uh, not, not especially.

• 13:10H. Foley?

Arden Peggy is a good student.

• 13:12Speaker 03

I know, a lot of people do.

• 13:13H. Foley?

  Yeah, smart, smart guy.

• 13:14Speaker 03

  Um, not, no.

• 13:16H. Foley?

  Separate directions.

• 13:19Speaker 03

I'm terrible with directions. I'm terrible with a lot of things, but uh, no, it wasn't, wasn't particularly good. SAT's uh, 1040 was the best I could do.

• 13:26Speaker 01

Hey, four digits, that's alright. That's the, that's the barometer here. That's pretty good. Um, yeah.

• 13:31H. Foley?

Did you get into college? You go to college?

• 13:32Speaker 03

I did. I went to George Washington.

• 13:35H. Foley?

  GW?

• 13:36Speaker 03

  Failed out.

• 13:37H. Foley?

  Okay.

• 13:37Speaker 03

And then uh, went to Delco uh, DC.

• 13:41Speaker 01

  Community college?

• 13:42Speaker 03

Yeah, and then dropped out. And then from there, I was like, well, I told my dad, I was like, I'll just come work for you. He was like, absolutely not.

• 13:50H. Foley?

  Why?

• 13:51Speaker 03

He was like, you gotta be in school if you're gonna work for me. So then I, I was like, well then I, we had a big, you know, tiff. I went and worked for the post office for a while.

• 13:59Speaker 01

  What'd you do there?

• 14:00Speaker 03

  Like, delivered mail.

• 14:01Speaker 01

  Really?

• 14:02Speaker 03

  Yeah.

• 14:02H. Foley?

  What?

• 14:02Speaker 03

I say wow, it was probably about like, six months.

• 14:05Speaker 01

I had my cousin call and quit for me.

• 14:07H. Foley?

So you were in like, the union? That's like, a serious job.

• 14:10Speaker 03

I didn't make it in the, I was, it was called like, a casual carrier.

• 14:13Speaker 01

  Before, before kid bitch.

• 14:14Speaker 03

  Yeah, yeah.

• 14:15H. Foley?

  A casual carrier.

• 14:16Speaker 01

Alright, so you were like a flex employee.

• 14:18H. Foley?

Sounds like a page on Craigslist.

• 14:19Speaker 03

So you'd have to go, so that was the problem though. You couldn't, like, you didn't get the same route every day. So every, every day, you were filling in.

• 14:25Speaker 01

  And you didn't like that?

• 14:26Speaker 03

No, no, I went directions, yeah. Just squinting, trying to find my way through it.

• 14:31Speaker 01

  Where the hell's Third Street?

• 14:32H. Foley?

Did you have a, did you have a mail car?

• 14:33Speaker 03

  Yeah, some days.

• 14:34H. Foley?

  No kidding?

• 14:35Speaker 01

  On the other side?

• 14:36Speaker 03

Yeah. And you had to go for training and that was, yeah.

• 14:40H. Foley?

What did you use the other days? You didn't have it.

• 14:42Speaker 03

Your feet? Like, you know, you, it was in Berwyn. It's like uh, some of our walking routes, some of our driving routes.

• 14:48H. Foley?

Gotcha. But you had the uniform and everything?

• 14:50Speaker 03

  Yeah.

• 14:50H. Foley?

How old were you at this time?

• 14:53Speaker 03

  Twenty, maybe twenty, twenty-one?

• 14:55H. Foley?

  Jesus.

• 14:56Speaker 01

  That's a young post.

• 14:57H. Foley?

Look like a little kid running around.

• 14:59Speaker 01

  Yeah.

• 14:59Speaker 03

  I probably, yeah.

• 15:00H. Foley?

  That's nuts.

• 15:00Speaker 01

Big hat on, covering his eyes. Okay, huh. I didn't see that coming.

• 15:06H. Foley?

  No, didn't see that one.

• 15:07Speaker 01

What was the high school mascot?

• 15:09Speaker 03

  Bulldog?

• 15:10Speaker 01

  Pretty good.

• 15:12H. Foley?

Let's go back into the house a little bit. Uh, the bedroom growing up, you and your brother each had your own rooms?

• 15:17Speaker 03

Uh, after a certain age, we like, I think till like five.

• 15:21H. Foley?

  Did you guys move?

• 15:22Speaker 03

  We did move.

• 15:23H. Foley?

  Okay.

• 15:23Speaker 03

  In second grade, yep.

• 15:24H. Foley?

In second grade, you moved to the house that they, that you grew up in?

• 15:27Speaker 03

  Right.

• 15:27H. Foley?

Night. What were you guys in before that?

• 15:28Speaker 03

  A house, single, single family.

• 15:30H. Foley?

  Single family house.

• 15:31Speaker 01

  Single family.

• 15:31H. Foley?

But not as nice as the second one.

• 15:33Speaker 01

  That was an upgrade.

• 15:34Speaker 03

  Yeah.

• 15:34H. Foley?

Gotcha. And then, so in your room, what were the posters on the wall? What were you, what were you rocking with?

• 15:39Speaker 03

  I had a Hooters calendar.

• 15:41Speaker 01

  Whoa.

• 15:41Speaker 03

  Yes.

• 15:42H. Foley?

  Okay.

• 15:42Speaker 03

  Um.

• 15:43Speaker 01

How'd you get that? Do you remember? At Hooters?

• 15:45Speaker 03

  At Hooters, yeah.

• 15:46Speaker 01

Wow. Did you guys go to the Hooters a lot?

• 15:48Speaker 03

Well, not my, but the family friend, like, uh.

• 15:51Speaker 01

  The Ocean City family.

• 15:52Speaker 03

Yeah, yeah, yeah. He was, they would.

• 15:54H. Foley?

Wait, what? Hold on a second. What are you talking about?

• 15:56Speaker 03

He would be like, yeah, you know, at this point, I'm probably like 13 or something.

• 16:00H. Foley?

  Okay.

• 16:01Speaker 03

  Go to Hooters.

• 16:01Speaker 01

  Go look at some drugs.

• 16:02Speaker 03

  Yeah.

• 16:03H. Foley?

Just you and him, or you, him and your brother?

• 16:05Speaker 03

Uh, sometimes my cousin. It wasn't always my brother. I don't, you know, I don't remember. It wasn't like all the time, but it was just like one of those things.

• 16:11H. Foley?

But this guy would take different groups of boys to Hooters?

• 16:15Speaker 03

  No, no, no.

• 16:16Speaker 01

  Easy. Listen.

• 16:17Speaker 03

  No, it.

• 16:18Speaker 01

You're painting it the wrong way, alright?

• 16:19Speaker 03

  Yeah, yeah.

• 16:20H. Foley?

Listen, I'm painting it as I see it.

• 16:22Speaker 03

Well, whatever it is, that, that is what it was.

• 16:24H. Foley?

Did he ever take you on any other activities?

• 16:26Speaker 03

He thought it was hilarious that I was like, you know, big boob guy and whatever it was.

• 16:30Speaker 01

Are you a big boob guy?

• 16:31Speaker 03

No, but you know, I'm just saying, I'm saying boobs like.

• 16:35Speaker 01

  Boobs are cool at 13.

• 16:36Speaker 03

I'm using boobs interchangeably with like attractive women.

• 16:39Speaker 01

  Okay.

• 16:41Speaker 03

  You know?

• 16:41Speaker 01

  Yes, yeah.

• 16:43Speaker 03

Alright, so that was, and that was the first, uh, we, so go ahead.

• 16:49Speaker 01

  You were going.

• 16:51H. Foley?

  The floor is yours.

• 16:52Speaker 03

Well, everybody's trying to make this guy out to be like a pedophile.

• 16:54Speaker 01

I'm on your side. I'm trying to stop that.

• 16:56Speaker 03

He's a sweet, I love him. Uh, and yeah, but the, do you, do you remember the first boobs you ever saw?

• 17:03H. Foley?

I do. It was, uh, 16 candles.

• 17:08Speaker 03

  You?

• 17:09Speaker 01

  Uh, not-

• 17:10H. Foley?

  Couple of weeks ago, Brian.

• 17:12Speaker 01

It was a nice gal. Not specifically. I remember seeing a boob on scrambled television in Sea Isle.

• 17:18Speaker 03

  Yeah.

• 17:18Speaker 01

That was the first one that I remember being like, hm, like locked in on. But, uh-

• 17:24Speaker 03

Mine was under Siege, which we saw.

• 17:27H. Foley?

  Oh, yeah.

• 17:28Speaker 03

  Yep.

• 17:28H. Foley?

  The stripper.

• 17:30Speaker 03

  Yep.

• 17:30H. Foley?

Yeah, that's a pretty good one. That's a real good one. Wow.

• 17:36H. Foley?

Alright, so you got the Hooters calendar. Kippy, ExpressVPN.

• 17:40Speaker 01

  You ain't lying, big dog.

• 17:41H. Foley?

You gotta protect yourself on that world wide web.

• 17:44Speaker 01

  Yes.

• 17:45H. Foley?

Gang, if you're going online without ExpressVPN, it's like going into, not having a passcode in your phone.

• 17:52Speaker 01

Which, by the way, you don't want people getting your private information.

• 17:56H. Foley?

It's insanity. You're making it so easy for someone to get in there and take all your stuff. Don't let that happen. Get ExpressVPN and take care of yourself.

• 18:04Speaker 01

Yes, every time you connect to an un-crypted network in cafes, hotels, airport, etc., your online data is not secure. And listen, I've rolled the dice before like a bozo, been like, "I'll just do this." And then the next thing you know, I'm checking my bank account information, and now I'm susceptible to hackers.

• 18:18H. Foley?

  Jammed up.

• 18:19Speaker 01

Any hacker on the same network can gain access and steal your personal information, your passwords, bank logins, like I just said, your credit card details, etc. It doesn't take much technological knowledge to hack someone, just cheap hardware is needed. A smart 12-year-old could do it, or a dumb 50-year-old. Your data is available, hackers can make up to $1,000 per person selling personal information on a dark web. Like, eh.

• 18:39H. Foley?

  Jesus.

• 18:40Speaker 01

Uh, it's super secure. It would take any hacker with a supercomputer over a billion years to get past ExpressVPN's encryption.

• 18:46H. Foley?

  Love that.

• 18:47Speaker 01

These guys are playing high-level chess.

• 18:48H. Foley?

That's a lot of Mountain Dew.

• 18:49Speaker 01

So, secure your online data today by visiting expressvpn.com/garbage. That's express, E-X-P-R-E-S-S-V-P-N dot com slash garbage to find out how you can get up to four extra months free. One more time, expressvpn.com/garbage. Do it.

• 19:04H. Foley?

Kip, let's talk about Pretty Litter.

• 19:05Speaker 01

  Shout out to Pretty Litter.

• 19:08H. Foley?

This is my absolute favorite. My cat loves Pretty Litter.

• 19:11Speaker 01

  Mm-hmm.

• 19:12H. Foley?

They sent us one. We've been using it ever since.

• 19:15Speaker 01

  I know.

• 19:15H. Foley?

We're going on like two years of using PrettyLitter.

• 19:17Speaker 01

Listen, they got the big dog hooked. And listen, to get the big dog hooked, it's gotta be convenient and it's gotta work. The big man don't like jumping through hoops and this and that and who's it's and what's it's.

• 19:27H. Foley?

I used to hate carrying those boxes of the other litter up there. It feels like you're carrying the kettlebell. PrettyLitter's lightweight, it smells great, it lasts long, and if there's something going on with the cat, PrettyLitter will let you know. If it's got a urinary tract infection or something like that, the crystals are gonna change color.

• 19:44Speaker 01

  Yeah.

• 19:44H. Foley?

Listen, if you love your cat, which I know you do, start using PrettyLitter. I'm telling you right now, it's the absolute best.

• 20:17H. Foley?

  Of course.

• 20:18Speaker 01

Terms and conditions apply. See the site for details. Do it.

• 20:20H. Foley?

Yeah. Any sports figures, any bands?

• 20:23Speaker 03

Um, it was definitely stuff like that. I just, the Hooters was the most predominant because it was right under the halogen light.

• 20:30H. Foley?

  Gotcha.

• 20:31Speaker 03

Big Seahawks fan growing up because I love the logo.

• 20:34H. Foley?

  Gotcha.

• 20:34Speaker 01

  Okay.

• 20:34Speaker 03

So there was definitely some Seahawks stuff on there.

• 20:36H. Foley?

  You want an Eagles man?

• 20:38Speaker 03

Uh, I mean, not as much because it was really, Tecmo Super Bowl was like the game on Nintendo. My brother would be the Eagles, I was this.

• 20:46H. Foley?

Gotcha. Did you have that game console in your room?

• 20:51Speaker 03

  No.

• 20:51H. Foley?

Was there a TV in your room?

• 20:53Speaker 03

  There was a TV, yeah.

• 20:54H. Foley?

  Not bad.

• 20:54Speaker 01

  Cable?

• 20:55Speaker 03

  No, not for a while.

• 20:57Speaker 01

  Yeah.

• 20:57Speaker 03

  Yeah.

• 20:58Speaker 01

Never did. Uh, what was the family car?

• 21:01Speaker 03

Family car, like, there was a Dodge Caravan, then an Acura.

• 21:06Speaker 01

  Pretty good.

• 21:06Speaker 03

  And a Tigra.

• 21:07Speaker 01

  Mm-hmm.

• 21:08Speaker 03

And then, uh, my dad drove a pickup truck for a while, like a really old beat-up Nissan. And then, once things started getting better, he got an Infiniti.

• 21:16H. Foley?

  Whoa.

• 21:16Speaker 01

  Pretty good.

• 21:17H. Foley?

This is probably somewhere in the 90s.

• 21:18Speaker 03

  This is.

• 21:19H. Foley?

Wow. Yeah. Infinity in the 90s.

• 21:21Speaker 01

That was. It's like a Volvo, that's good.

• 21:23H. Foley?

  That was big.

• 21:24Speaker 01

  Yeah.

• 21:24Speaker 03

Yeah. I had a great upbringing.

• 21:26H. Foley?

They had the dude from, um, I can't think of his name, he's a British actor, he was in, uh, Hello. Gary Glenn Ross, he did the commercial for Infinity and they used to have the silver ball that they rolled down the, the hood.

• 21:39Speaker 01

  The hood.

• 21:40Speaker 03

  Oh, yeah.

• 21:40Speaker 01

In the, in the, in the thing.

• 21:41H. Foley?

  Yes.

• 21:42Speaker 01

  Whoa.

• 21:42H. Foley?

Infinity, man, they were killing it.

• 21:45Speaker 03

  That's a great, yeah.

• 21:46H. Foley?

It was just a Nissan. It was just Nissan.

• 21:49Speaker 01

It's in the same company, it's Nissan makes them.

• 21:50H. Foley?

  Sharp though. Pretty good.

• 21:53Speaker 01

That's a one point for Mr. Gerben there.

• 21:55H. Foley?

  Yeah.

• 21:55Speaker 03

  Yeah.

• 21:55H. Foley?

Um. What were the snacks in the house growing up? We know you're a bit of a picky eater.

• 22:01Speaker 03

  Yeah.

• 22:01H. Foley?

And was that, I assume that was true as a child?

• 22:03Speaker 03

Sure. Uh, so, yeah, just like Dunkaroos and like all the other.

• 22:07Speaker 01

  Dunkaroos in the house?

• 22:08Speaker 03

  Yeah.

• 22:08Speaker 01

  That's pretty good.

• 22:09H. Foley?

Dunkaroos in the house, sugar cereal in the house?

• 22:11Speaker 03

  Definitely.

• 22:11H. Foley?

  Really?

• 22:12Speaker 01

Cause nobody knew it was like that much sugar. Yeah.

• 22:15H. Foley?

  Uh huh.

• 22:16Speaker 01

What was, what was your favorite, favorite?

• 22:18Speaker 03

  Cinnamon Toast Crunch.

• 22:18Speaker 01

  Yeah, it was.

• 22:19H. Foley?

  Cinnamon Toast Crunch, man.

• 22:20Speaker 01

  It's good.

• 22:21Speaker 03

  Yeah.

• 22:21H. Foley?

Would you buy your lunch at school or would you bring your lunch?

• 22:23Speaker 03

No, it was, I, I was treated like a king. My mom would, my mom would make, she, she would a lot of times drop it off, she'd go to the Bagel Factory.

• 22:30H. Foley?

  Wait, what?

• 22:31Speaker 03

  Yeah, yeah.

• 22:32H. Foley?

Wait a minute, the Bagel Factory?

• 22:34Speaker 01

You were doing bagels for lunch?

• 22:35Speaker 03

  Yeah.

• 22:36Speaker 01

  Good for you.

• 22:37H. Foley?

With what, but what in it?

• 22:38Speaker 03

Uh, butter and jelly and then some sliced American cheese.

• 22:43H. Foley?

  On the side?

• 22:43Speaker 03

  Yeah.

• 22:45Speaker 01

  Wait, so, okay. So.

• 22:46H. Foley?

  How would you eat that?

• 22:49Speaker 03

  What?

• 22:49Speaker 01

Like a king, what do you mean?

• 22:50Speaker 03

  Yeah.

• 22:51H. Foley?

Eat the slices by itself and then have the bagel with the butter and jelly?

• 22:54Speaker 03

  I, no, I, I combined.

• 22:56Speaker 01

  You'd put them on?

• 22:57Speaker 03

No. I'm sorry. Didn't mean to be that aggressive to you.

• 23:00Speaker 01

It's alright, I didn't take, if you think that's aggressive.

• 23:03Speaker 03

Uh, but, uh, I would eat maybe two bites now that I'm thinking about it of the bagel and then I'd put some cheese in there.

• 23:10Speaker 01

  In?

• 23:11Speaker 03

  Yeah, but I wouldn't.

• 23:12Speaker 01

You'd piggyback the cheese like a chaser?

• 23:14Speaker 03

  Yes.

• 23:14Speaker 01

  I have respect now.

• 23:15H. Foley?

Whoa. Is this high school or is this elementary school?

• 23:18Speaker 03

  Uh, high school.

• 23:19H. Foley?

  Wow.

• 23:19Speaker 03

  Wow.

• 23:20H. Foley?

You were getting your lunch dropped off.

• 23:22Speaker 01

So how did, how did she?

• 23:23Speaker 03

I feel a little embarrassed by that now.

• 23:24Speaker 01

  Yeah.

• 23:24Speaker 03

  Yes, I was.

• 23:25Speaker 01

I get that. I would be too. Uh, how did she get it to you? Would they like, cause you'd have to like drop it off at the office or something? Cause like the teacher, you're, you can't like just run out and meet your mom out front.

• 23:34Speaker 03

No. Yeah, she would drop it off at the office.

• 23:36Speaker 01

  And they'd say?

• 23:36Speaker 03

It wasn't every day, but it was like, I would say the majority of days.

• 23:39Speaker 01

That's every day, if you're looking back, yeah. Uh, so you'd say you'd have to go, you'd have to go to the office and pick it up?

• 23:44Speaker 03

Yeah, I would just walk into the office and it would be where it always was.

• 23:47Speaker 01

No shit? Like Uber Eats? Like Uber Eats at a hotel? Good for you, Steve.

• 23:53H. Foley?

And what about breakfast in the morning? Would they make you breakfast?

• 23:56Speaker 03

Yeah, my mom would make breakfast. Um.

• 23:58H. Foley?

  What are we talking about?

• 23:59Speaker 03

  Like eggs, I guess.

• 24:00H. Foley?

  Really?

• 24:01Speaker 03

  French toast occasionally, yeah.

• 24:02Speaker 01

  French toast? On a weekday?

• 24:04Speaker 03

  Yeah.

• 24:04H. Foley?

  That's crazy.

• 24:05Speaker 03

Hey, can I get a tissue? Just, I, I need to.

• 24:08H. Foley?

Of course. No worries at all.

• 24:09Speaker 03

When I laugh, my nose runs.

• 24:10Speaker 01

  Sure.

• 24:10H. Foley?

  Take your time.

• 24:11Speaker 03

  Alright, so keep going.

• 24:12Speaker 01

  Uh.

• 24:12H. Foley?

Whoa, look at that. Ryan Diesel. Come on in there, Dees.

• 24:14Speaker 03

  Oh, thank you.

• 24:16H. Foley?

  Good pal, Ryan D.

• 24:17Speaker 03

  Thank you very much.

• 24:18Speaker 01

Blur, blur him out. I don't want him on. I don't want him on.

• 24:22Speaker 01

Okay, and how did you get to school most days?

• 24:24Speaker 03

  Uh.

• 24:25H. Foley?

  High school.

• 24:26Speaker 03

  High school?

• 24:26H. Foley?

  Yeah.

• 24:27Speaker 03

Either bus or then when my brother was old enough to drive, uh, he drove.

• 24:30Speaker 01

  Gotcha.

• 24:30H. Foley?

And then did you eventually start driving when you got your license?

• 24:32Speaker 03

  Yeah.

• 24:33H. Foley?

  Okay.

• 24:33Speaker 01

And what was your first car?

• 24:35Speaker 03

The, it was my brother's car, which was an Acura.

• 24:37H. Foley?

The Acura? Your brother had the Acura?

• 24:40Speaker 03

He had the Acura, the, um, was it the Integra?

• 24:43H. Foley?

You said the Integra before. Is that the one you were talking about?

• 24:45Speaker 03

Maybe he had the Integra. My mom had the 3.5 RL.

• 24:48Speaker 01

  Oh, double A.

• 24:50H. Foley?

  So we're doing alright.

• 24:51Speaker 03

Yeah, yeah. Yeah, at this point, yes. Things are going, things are going well at this point.

• 24:54H. Foley?

Makes you wonder why the vacations were so light.

• 24:57Speaker 03

  We hated them.

• 24:58H. Foley?

  You hated them?

• 24:58Speaker 03

  Yeah.

• 24:59H. Foley?

  Why?

• 25:00Speaker 03

  Just not big travelers.

• 25:02Speaker 01

They get lost. The directions are bad.

• 25:04H. Foley?

  The whole family?

• 25:06Speaker 03

Yeah, just not, uh, not, not, we don't do it. I don't know. We don't enjoy. I mean, my dad would, my dad would go on trips for, like tire dealers would put you out on trips.

• 25:19Speaker 01

  Mm-hmm.

• 25:19H. Foley?

  Right.

• 25:20Speaker 03

So he would sometimes go on those.

• 25:21H. Foley?

  Uh-huh.

• 25:21Speaker 03

Like a cruise. My mom would go, obviously. And then, uh, yeah, we, it's just, I'm not a big fan of traveling.

• 25:28H. Foley?

  You're a homebody.

• 25:29Speaker 03

  I am. I'm a house cat.

• 25:30H. Foley?

Did you guys have a pool at the house?

• 25:32Speaker 03

  No.

• 25:32H. Foley?

No. So what would you be doing in the summer? Just hanging out with friends, riding your bike?

• 25:36Speaker 03

Yeah, it would be like, we'd always have a summer job and then, yeah, just hanging out.

• 25:41Speaker 01

Kind of bike did you have?

• 25:43Speaker 03

It wasn't, it was like whatever, yeah, it was like whatever was at the track. So we weren't like big bikers at that time.

• 25:49Speaker 01

  Gotcha, okay, okay.

• 25:51H. Foley?

  All right.

• 25:51Speaker 01

  Hmm.

• 25:52H. Foley?

  Interesting.

• 25:54Speaker 01

Can't get a read on Mr. Gerben over here.

• 25:56H. Foley?

What was the first concert you ever went to?

• 25:59Speaker 03

Ah, probably Robert Randolph. It was when I was in college.

• 26:05Speaker 01

  Who's Robert Randolph?

• 26:06Speaker 03

He's a jam band guy I was trying to fit in. I left early.

• 26:12Speaker 01

I gotta get out of here, this parking's horrible.

• 26:13Speaker 03

  Yeah.

• 26:14Speaker 01

  Robert Randolph.

• 26:16Speaker 03

It was like Robert Randolph and the Family Band.

• 26:18Speaker 01

Yes, Robert Randolph and the Family Band, okay. Never heard of him.

• 26:21H. Foley?

What were you trying to fit in with, the crowd?

• 26:23Speaker 03

I'm just kidding. He's extremely talented. Uh, well, like, people on my floor.

• 26:29H. Foley?

  Oh, college?

• 26:29Speaker 03

  Yeah.

• 26:30H. Foley?

  Gotcha.

• 26:30Speaker 03

  Yep.

• 26:31Speaker 01

So they were all going, you're like, I'll go?

• 26:32Speaker 03

  Yeah.

• 26:33Speaker 01

Okay, very nice. Uh, who was the most famous person you met as a kid? Like, did you ever meet anybody, it could have been like?

• 26:42H. Foley?

  Jim Gardner?

• 26:43Speaker 01

Jim Gardner, you know, the Philly Fanatic, or any, did you ever meet anybody of any sort of even local notoriety at any point?

• 26:50Speaker 03

Uh, I don't think so. I'd say Philly Fanatic.

• 26:52Speaker 01

Philly Fanatic at some point, okay.

• 26:54H. Foley?

Shout out to the Fanatic. Love them.

• 26:57Speaker 03

  Incredible.

• 26:57Speaker 01

Best, best to ever do it.

• 26:59H. Foley?

Growing up, the butter in the house, did you guys keep it in the fridge or keep it on the counter?

• 27:03Speaker 03

Uh, fridge, and it was margarine.

• 27:05H. Foley?

It was marg, you were a margarine family.

• 27:06Speaker 01

  Do you remember the brand?

• 27:08Speaker 03

  No.

• 27:08Speaker 01

  Okay.

• 27:09H. Foley?

  Could have been Country Crock?

• 27:11Speaker 03

No, it was not Country Crock.

• 27:12H. Foley?

  Why's that?

• 27:13Speaker 03

Because my friend Emery had Country Crock, and I remember going over to his house and just being like, I don't like this.

• 27:19Speaker 01

  You're trash, Emery.

• 27:21Speaker 03

Oh, it was the Buttercup one.

• 27:23H. Foley?

  Okay.

• 27:23Speaker 03

Whatever had the Buttercup on it.

• 27:25Speaker 01

I think that was Promise, right?

• 27:26H. Foley?

  Yeah, that was Promise.

• 27:27Speaker 01

We, I had the similar thing, I think that was Promise.

• 27:30H. Foley?

What about the mayonnaise in the house growing up? Hellmann's or Miracle Whip?

• 27:34Speaker 03

I don't know, we're not big mayonnaise people.

• 27:36Speaker 01

  Was any, who was cooking?

• 27:39Speaker 03

  Uh, my mom.

• 27:40Speaker 01

  Was she a good cook?

• 27:41Speaker 03

  No.

• 27:42Speaker 01

  No, okay.

• 27:43H. Foley?

What would be a typical dinner? And did you guys always have dinner together? Did you have family dinners like every night?

• 27:47Speaker 03

No, not always together. Uh, it would just be like overcooked chicken. Or like fish steak. Overcooked chicken balls.

• 27:53H. Foley?

  And you didn't like mayo?

• 27:54Speaker 03

  No.

• 27:55H. Foley?

  Like mayo now?

• 27:56Speaker 03

  No.

• 27:56H. Foley?

  Tuna fish?

• 27:57Speaker 03

  No.

• 27:57H. Foley?

  Chicken salad?

• 27:58Speaker 03

  No.

• 27:59H. Foley?

  Potato salad?

• 28:00Speaker 03

  No.

• 28:00H. Foley?

  Coleslaw?

• 28:01Speaker 03

  No. It's, I don't like the, I don't like the, you know.

• 28:05Speaker 01

Did you just triple underline mayo? After putting them through the wringer on predominantly mayo-based foods?

• 28:10Speaker 03

  Uh, yes.

• 28:11Speaker 01

Uh, okay. What were you drinking with dinner? So were you a soda family?

• 28:16H. Foley?

  Crystal Light?

• 28:17Speaker 03

Yeah, we would have some soda. Some Coca-Cola.

• 28:19H. Foley?

It's interesting, listen, there, there is a thing. Um, you didn't get sugar cereal growing up, really?

• 28:25Speaker 01

  Yeah, I did.

• 28:26H. Foley?

You did? Yeah, we never got sugar cereal.

• 28:28Speaker 01

What the fuck was going on?

• 28:28H. Foley?

You got sugar cereal, you got soda at dinner?

• 28:30Speaker 03

  Yeah.

• 28:31H. Foley?

  Cola, Coke?

• 28:32Speaker 03

  Coke.

• 28:32H. Foley?

  No kidding?

• 28:33Speaker 03

  Yeah.

• 28:33H. Foley?

How many of them were you allowed to have?

• 28:34Speaker 03

  One a day.

• 28:35H. Foley?

  One a day?

• 28:36Speaker 03

  Yeah.

• 28:36H. Foley?

Okay. At least there's some government there.

• 28:41Speaker 01

  Huh.

• 28:42H. Foley?

  Hmm.

• 28:43Speaker 01

  Okay.

• 28:45H. Foley?

At the high school, you got the butter.

• 28:48Speaker 01

Did you ever go on spring break?

• 28:50Speaker 03

  No.

• 28:50Speaker 01

  No.

• 28:52H. Foley?

Do you guys have a garage?

• 28:53Speaker 03

  Yes.

• 28:54H. Foley?

Was there a refrigerator in that garage?

• 28:56Speaker 03

  Growing up, no.

• 28:57H. Foley?

  Now?

• 28:57Speaker 03

  There is now, yes.

• 28:58H. Foley?

  What's in there? Beers, sodas?

• 29:00Speaker 03

Uh, I think like water bottles, yeah.

• 29:02H. Foley?

  Okay.

• 29:03Speaker 01

Could you park a car in the garage? Or was it filled with stuff?

• 29:05Speaker 03

You can park a car in the garage. There, it was also filled with stuff.

• 29:10Speaker 01

  Okay.

• 29:13Speaker 01

  Hmm.

• 29:14H. Foley?

I like it. No pool, you have a slip and slide?

• 29:16Speaker 03

  Yes.

• 29:17H. Foley?

You did? Was that broken out in the summer?

• 29:20Speaker 03

I shouldn't say we had it. We have it now.

• 29:22Speaker 01

You have a slip and slide now?

• 29:23H. Foley?

  Why?

• 29:24Speaker 03

Well, cause there's a lot of like young children in the family.

• 29:27H. Foley?

  Oh, in the family, okay.

• 29:28Speaker 01

Do your dad like to get wet and wild? Uh, okay, huh. Do you remember any of your AOL screen names?

• 29:37Speaker 03

  Uh, yeah, Tasman89.

• 29:43Speaker 01

  Guys are pure devil, huh?

• 29:45Speaker 03

No, 89. Well, I love the... Oh, Taz, like Tasmanian devil.

• 29:50Speaker 01

Tasmanian devil, yeah. Is that what it was?

• 29:51Speaker 03

  Oh, yes, I'm sorry.

• 29:52Speaker 01

  Yeah, okay.

• 29:52Speaker 03

Um, and then Brian Blades, he was number 89 on the Seahawks.

• 29:56Speaker 01

  So it was 89?

• 29:57Speaker 03

  Yeah, yeah.

• 29:57Speaker 01

Okay. Tasmanian. That's pretty sick, dude.

• 30:02Speaker 03

  Yeah, thanks.

• 30:03Speaker 01

  The Tasmanian.

• 30:05H. Foley?

  Too funny.

• 30:08H. Foley?

Did you go to your prom?

• 30:09Speaker 03

  No.

• 30:10H. Foley?

  No?

• 30:11Speaker 03

Because again, that was a, you know, growth stunted in high school, so 5'2" senior year.

• 30:16H. Foley?

  Gotcha.

• 30:16Speaker 01

5'2" senior year. When did you grow then?

• 30:19Speaker 03

Like freshman, freshman year of college.

• 30:21H. Foley?

Because you really sprout, are you six foot?

• 30:23Speaker 03

  Oh, close to it.

• 30:24Speaker 01

  Yeah.

• 30:24Speaker 03

  Yeah.

• 30:25Speaker 01

  Of normal height, hmm.

• 30:28H. Foley?

No prom. Did you go to senior week?

• 30:31Speaker 03

  No.

• 30:32H. Foley?

  No?

• 30:35H. Foley?

  All right.

• 30:37H. Foley?

  Do you know karate?

• 30:39Speaker 03

No, but I took jujitsu as an adult for like a month and then my neck got injured from somebody, from an instructor trying to show me a baseball choke or something.

• 30:48Speaker 01

  A baseball choke?

• 30:50Speaker 03

  And I never went back.

• 30:51Speaker 01

  He's got the helmet on?

• 30:52Speaker 03

You know what, can I just, can I interject to this?

• 30:54H. Foley?

  Please.

• 30:54Speaker 03

This is also like getting hit in the head with that baseball, which is like, there are, there are certain people, like, I, I don't understand, let's say UFC fighters, they get knocked out and they're like, I'll do it again. And I'm the type that's like, if I get hurt once, I'll never...

• 31:07Speaker 01

  You're done.

• 31:08H. Foley?

  You're out.

• 31:08Speaker 03

I'm not good, like, touch an oven that's hot, I'm not going near an oven.

• 31:11Speaker 01

  Quick learner?

• 31:12Speaker 03

  Yeah.

• 31:12Speaker 01

  I'm with it.

• 31:13Speaker 03

I wouldn't, wait, I agreed with that very quickly. I wouldn't say I'm a quick learner, but you know what I mean, that's just how I am.

• 31:19Speaker 03

  I'm actually a slow learner.

• 31:21Speaker 01

I feel like I'm talking to a lawyer and I don't know what, I don't know what side he's on. He's arguing for himself for not for himself.

• 31:26H. Foley?

  Are you a Gatorade man?

• 31:27Speaker 03

  I am.

• 31:28H. Foley?

  Uh, flavor?

• 31:29Speaker 03

  Yellow.

• 31:30H. Foley?

Yellow, traditional, and you said the color?

• 31:32Speaker 01

  Trash.

• 31:32H. Foley?

  Trash.

• 31:33Speaker 01

Um, had, you never, did you ever own a switchblade or a butterfly knife?

• 31:37Speaker 03

  I wanted to, I wasn't allowed to.

• 31:40H. Foley?

You never did that on the low? You never had a hidden one?

• 31:43Speaker 03

No, I had a hidden pellet gun.

• 31:45Speaker 01

  Ooh, talk about a Tasmanian.

• 31:48H. Foley?

With, with, yeah, it was loaded and all that stuff, like you used it?

• 31:51Speaker 03

Yeah, I used it, I shot, uh, cans.

• 31:53H. Foley?

  Where'd you get that from?

• 31:55Speaker 03

There was like, a place in Brumall.

• 31:58Speaker 01

  How old were you?

• 31:59H. Foley?

  Little straw purchase?

• 32:00Speaker 03

  Probably high school, yeah.

• 32:02H. Foley?

No kidding. Where would you shoot the cans?

• 32:03Speaker 03

  In the garage.

• 32:04H. Foley?

  In the garage?

• 32:05Speaker 03

Yeah, yeah, and then sweep up the pellet remains. You got through phases? You didn't go through a pellet gun phase?

• 32:12Speaker 01

  Oh, yeah, of course.

• 32:13H. Foley?

Yeah, I wasn't shooting in the house. Okay.

• 32:16Speaker 01

  Uh huh.

• 32:17H. Foley?

All right. Why are you, go ahead, I'm pleased.

• 32:19Speaker 01

Never wore a pair of Jankos, I presume?

• 32:21Speaker 03

Don't even know what they are.

• 32:22Speaker 01

You don't know what Jankos are? Janko jeans with the big pockets?

• 32:26Speaker 03

  Me, uh...

• 32:27Speaker 01

Talk about main line. They were like the real big pockets, it was like, you know, skaters and freaks wore them?

• 32:33Speaker 03

  Uh, no, I guess.

• 32:35Speaker 01

I've never had to explain Jankos to somebody and I'm not good at it now that I think about it.

• 32:38H. Foley?

You guys are the same age, so...

• 32:40Speaker 01

  How old are you?

• 32:41Speaker 03

I'm gonna be, um, 42 tomorrow.

• 32:43Speaker 01

  Yeah, okay.

• 32:44H. Foley?

  Roughly around.

• 32:45Speaker 03

  Thanks, yeah.

• 32:45H. Foley?

  Happy birthday, buddy.

• 32:46Speaker 03

  Yeah, thanks.

• 32:47H. Foley?

  Uh, can you swim?

• 32:48Speaker 03

  I can. Well...

• 32:50Speaker 01

  That did not sound common.

• 32:52Speaker 03

Well, then, so with my hands, it's tough to like...

• 32:54H. Foley?

  Gotcha.

• 32:55Speaker 03

But, but, but, it's like, put me in a pool, I'm fine, I'm not gonna like drown.

• 32:58H. Foley?

  How about the ocean?

• 33:00Speaker 03

Uh, I had to get rescued once, there's...

• 33:06Speaker 03

It was just like something where, I guess, I wasn't getting to shore as fast as the lifeguard wanted me to. Cause they, you know, there was like a riptide or something, so they called everybody in, so... It wa- I wa- I wasn't in a state of panic or anything, I thought I was making good progress, but next thing I know, a guy was there, he's like, "Get on!"

• 33:22H. Foley?

  How old were you?

• 33:24Speaker 03

  14, 15?

• 33:25H. Foley?

And you were just down the shore, Jersey Shore?

• 33:27Speaker 03

  Yeah, Ocean City, yeah.

• 33:28H. Foley?

Man, they'd get ya, I remember a couple of times at the, at Ocean City Beach, I thought I was getting got.

• 33:33Speaker 03

What does that mean? Oh, you mean like...

• 33:35H. Foley?

I was getting swept out, yeah, cause that's, that, that's the shore we grew up growing on, and man, every once in a while, that'd be a little rough down there, I don't know why.

• 33:43Speaker 01

  It's the ocean, mother nature.

• 33:45H. Foley?

  Yeah.

• 33:45Speaker 01

  Hmm.

• 33:46H. Foley?

When you do swim, do you wear a shirt?

• 33:48Speaker 03

  No.

• 33:48H. Foley?

  Okay, good man.

• 33:50Speaker 01

Do you wear underwear under your bathing suit?

• 33:52Speaker 03

  No.

• 33:53Speaker 01

  Okay.

• 33:53H. Foley?

When was the first time you got your passport?

• 33:57Speaker 03

Three years ago, four years ago?

• 33:58Speaker 01

  Really?

• 33:58H. Foley?

  Okay.

• 33:59Speaker 01

  Where were you going?

• 34:00Speaker 03

There, it was just the potential of going to Canada for, I think, something comedy related.

• 34:04H. Foley?

Have you been out of the country?

• 34:06Speaker 03

  No.

• 34:06H. Foley?

  Never? No kidding.

• 34:09Speaker 01

  Wow.

• 34:10H. Foley?

When was the first time you went on an airplane?

• 34:12Speaker 03

Um, as a kid going to Disney World.

• 34:14H. Foley?

  Okay.

• 34:15Speaker 03

  Yeah.

• 34:15H. Foley?

  Not a big flyer, right?

• 34:16Speaker 03

  No.

• 34:17H. Foley?

  Don't like it?

• 34:18Speaker 03

Don't like it. Trying to get better at it.

• 34:19H. Foley?

  Okay.

• 34:20Speaker 03

  Yeah.

• 34:20Speaker 01

What did, what steps are you taking to get better?

• 34:22Speaker 03

  Doing it a lot.

• 34:23Speaker 01

  Do, okay.

• 34:23H. Foley?

  Mm-hmm.

• 34:23Speaker 03

  Yeah.

• 34:24Speaker 01

Kind of sink or swim type thing.

• 34:25Speaker 03

  Yeah. And Larazepam.

• 34:27H. Foley?

  There you go.

• 34:29Speaker 01

Heavy pharmaceuticals. This episode's brought to you by Merck, everybody. Huh. Were you ever really into Harry Potter?

• 34:36Speaker 03

No. Did read the first book, just to kind of see what it was all about.

• 34:39Speaker 01

  Not for you.

• 34:40Speaker 03

  I respect it.

• 34:41Speaker 01

  Uh-huh.

• 34:41Speaker 03

  But I'm not-

• 34:42Speaker 01

  As any true art, yeah.

• 34:43Speaker 03

Yeah. I don't, I don't get into like Wizards and Dragons and all that.

• 34:46Speaker 01

  Mm-hmm. I get it.

• 34:47Speaker 03

  Yeah.

• 34:49Speaker 01

  Hmm.

• 34:50H. Foley?

Very interesting. Where are you living now?

• 34:53Speaker 03

  I live in Westchester, PA.

• 34:55H. Foley?

Got you. You got your own place?

• 34:56Speaker 03

  I do.

• 34:56H. Foley?

  Apartment or a house?

• 34:57Speaker 03

  It is a house.

• 34:58H. Foley?

Not, you buy it or rent it?

• 34:59Speaker 03

  Bought it.

• 35:00H. Foley?

  No kidding?

• 35:00Speaker 01

Bought a house. Good for you.

• 35:02H. Foley?

  Is it a recent purchase?

• 35:03Speaker 03

  It's a 2020 purchase.

• 35:05H. Foley?

  Very nice. Alright.

• 35:07Speaker 01

Got in while the getting's good.

• 35:08Speaker 03

I got, I got in, I was very fortunate, yep.

• 35:11H. Foley?

  Got interest rates were low.

• 35:12Speaker 03

  They were.

• 35:13H. Foley?

  Nice.

• 35:13Speaker 03

  2.68, yeah.

• 35:14H. Foley?

  There you go.

• 35:15Speaker 01

Never had anybody drop their fucking APR on-

• 35:17Speaker 03

Well, I mean, it's an exciting number, yeah.

• 35:20Speaker 01

Hey, listen, it's better than mine.

• 35:21Speaker 03

Yeah. I didn't know. Also, you know, if you're going to follow it up, you know, I was just going to beach, I don't know. Go ahead.

• 35:26Speaker 01

No. Hey, what's the, what's the credit score?

• 35:28Speaker 03

I don't know what my credit score is, but it was, it was good.

• 35:31Speaker 01

Good enough to get a 2.68?

• 35:32Speaker 03

  Yeah, yeah.

• 35:33H. Foley?

What's the car now? What are you whipping around then?

• 35:35Speaker 03

  Uh, Toyota Tacoma. It's a-

• 35:37Speaker 01

  Truck man.

• 35:38Speaker 03

  It's a two-door. It's, uh, all-wheel drive, but, uh, four-cylinder.

• 35:44H. Foley?

  A four-cylinder?

• 35:46Speaker 03

  Yeah, I don't know. Yeah.

• 35:46Speaker 01

  That's like a weed whacker.

• 35:47Speaker 03

  That, well, whatever it is.

• 35:49Speaker 01

  It's a two-struck.

• 35:51Speaker 01

Zero to 60 in a week, everything.

• 35:52H. Foley?

How's that getting up a hill?

• 35:54Speaker 03

It's perfectly fine. And the only reason I'm so detailed about that is because like when I was getting, my dad made such a stink. He's like, Steve, you know, you gotta get, you know, all-wheel drive, you know. So, that's what happened.

• 36:04H. Foley?

That's funny. A pool at the house now?

• 36:06Speaker 03

  No.

• 36:07H. Foley?

No? You furnished the whole thing yourself? Got everything in there?

• 36:10Speaker 03

  Yeah.

• 36:10H. Foley?

  Alright.

• 36:11Speaker 01

Any big purchase that you're like very proud of in, aside from the home, obviously, but like TV, a bar, something where you're like, this is what I want?

• 36:19Speaker 03

Uh, like the country club, joining that country club.

• 36:22Speaker 01

  Gotcha.

• 36:23Speaker 03

  Yeah.

• 36:23Speaker 01

  Uh huh. That's very big.

• 36:25H. Foley?

Country club, man, that's right. Will you have lunch at the, uh, at the clubhouse?

• 36:30Speaker 03

  Uh, occasionally.

• 36:31H. Foley?

  Yeah?

• 36:31Speaker 03

  Yeah.

• 36:31H. Foley?

Sitting and have lunch? You have to spend a certain amount, right?

• 36:34Speaker 01

  Restaurant.

• 36:34H. Foley?

  Isn't that how it works?

• 36:35Speaker 03

You do, but this one, you can do like a deal, which I did do, where it's like you, you spend a certain amount of money and then you get free carts. Cause they, country clubs will charge you every time you take a cart.

• 36:45Speaker 01

  Sure.

• 36:46Speaker 03

And then you have no food minimum. But that is a thing at country clubs, you have to like buy a certain amount of food.

• 36:50H. Foley?

  Gotcha.

• 36:51Speaker 01

So you get yours is on carts?

• 36:52Speaker 03

  Yeah.

• 36:53Speaker 01

Do you prefer to walk or do you prefer to drive?

• 36:54Speaker 03

  To drive.

• 36:55Speaker 01

  Okay.

• 36:56H. Foley?

  Like the cart?

• 36:57Speaker 03

  Yes.

• 36:57H. Foley?

Like a gentleman. And this summer, this summer, I would assume you have a little time to play and all that stuff, right?

• 37:03Speaker 03

  Yep.

• 37:03H. Foley?

  You're chilling.

• 37:04Speaker 03

  I'm chilling.

• 37:05H. Foley?

When was the last time you had a, a day job?

• 37:07Speaker 03

  Uh, about a year ago.

• 37:09H. Foley?

  That was it?

• 37:10Speaker 03

  Yeah.

• 37:10H. Foley?

  Nice.

• 37:11Speaker 03

Almost a year to the day, yeah. It was July 1, I think.

• 37:13H. Foley?

  I love it.

• 37:14Speaker 03

  Yeah.

• 37:14Speaker 01

  Wow.

• 37:14H. Foley?

Now you got the summer to play a little golf?

• 37:17Speaker 03

  It's, it's exciting.

• 37:18H. Foley?

What is the day to day now with the success of tires and everything like that?

• 37:22Speaker 03

Uh, the day to day, it's, I mean, there's not a lot going on. I'll like, uh, wake up and stretch.

• 37:28Speaker 01

  Okay.

• 37:28Speaker 03

And, uh, try to get, you know, more mobility.

• 37:31Speaker 01

  Sure.

• 37:32Speaker 03

  And then make myself breakfast.

• 37:34Speaker 01

  Sure. What's breakfast looking like?

• 37:36Speaker 03

  It's eggs and oatmeal.

• 37:39Speaker 01

  Good.

• 37:39Speaker 03

And then, uh, might go to the country club, might work out.

• 37:42H. Foley?

Look at that, I love this.

• 37:44Speaker 01

Do you go to the country club? Do you go play or do you go hit the range? What's the?

• 37:47Speaker 03

  A little both.

• 37:48Speaker 01

It's a social, the, country clubs are a big social.

• 37:50Speaker 03

  They are social.

• 37:51Speaker 01

It's a very big, it's, you gotta navigate it. There's the, kind of the, there's a cool crowd there, there's a little bit of, you know?

• 37:57Speaker 03

  Yeah.

• 37:58Speaker 01

You gotta fi- find where you fit in. It's good. Do you have people you like playing with there?

• 38:02Speaker 03

I do, yeah. Dan, Rob, hey guys.

• 38:05H. Foley?

Just specific, just specific golf friends?

• 38:07Speaker 03

  What's that?

• 38:08H. Foley?

  Just specific golf friends?

• 38:10Speaker 03

Uh, I could see us getting past just golf, that's how well it's going.

• 38:14Speaker 01

  Maybe go to prom?

• 38:15H. Foley?

Wait, did you meet them there?

• 38:16Speaker 03

  Yeah, yeah.

• 38:17Speaker 01

  That's a big thing.

• 38:18Speaker 03

Yeah, it is a big thing. My social life has exploded since.

• 38:21Speaker 01

You got Dan and Rob, that's big.

• 38:25Speaker 01

  My social life has exploded.

• 38:27H. Foley?

I love it, man, that's awesome.

• 38:29Speaker 01

Okay, now will you hang out? What's, okay, do you initiate the text of, hey, do you look into, hey, you want to play this? Is it a weekly thing? Is it a daily thing?

• 38:35Speaker 03

No, there's no, I mean, there's no rhyme or, it's sometimes, you know, sometimes it's me, sometimes it's, yeah.

• 38:44H. Foley?

Let me ask you this on a series-

• 38:45Speaker 01

I'm very intrigued by it, that's all.

• 38:47Speaker 04

Kayak searches and compares hundreds of travel sites. But unless I repeat the word kayak, Kayak thinks you won't remember that. So Kayak asked me to say kayak as many times as possible. Kayak! Kayak. Kayak. Kayak. Kayak, kayak, kayak. Kayak! Search and compare travel deals with Kayak. Got that right.

• 39:37H. Foley?

You know, we, you know, we have this too where we pinch ourselves with the success of the show. Isn't it wild that like, you know, a year ago you quit your job, you got your own home, remember at the country club? You got the summer off.

• 39:48Speaker 03

  Utterly insane.

• 39:49H. Foley?

  Yeah.

• 39:49Speaker 03

It's utterly insane. And it's, you know, I've talked about this on other podcasts, I just hate to like do one and not bring it up. Like what John and Shane have done for me, it's just unreal. John, taking me into every project he's worked on, believing in me. Shane, as you all know, just funded the entire first season. Could've done anything else, did this. And yeah, I'm as lucky as they come, truly as lucky as they come.

• 40:16H. Foley?

Two of the absolute best, fucking just the coolest, love them both, it's unbelievable. And McKee, for just how good he is at it.

• 40:23Speaker 01

  Crazy.

• 40:23Speaker 03

And you, we're so good! So good.

• 40:27H. Foley?

  Stop it.

• 40:28Speaker 03

It's, you know, it's so fun to watch you in that. And that was so hard to keep a straight face, working, you know, with you in that room. You're so good.

• 40:36H. Foley?

Yeah, we had a good time, buddy. I love you so much. And that's just the point of that was to say how happy we are for you and how crazy it is. Yeah, it's fucking.

• 40:43Speaker 03

  Thanks.

• 40:43Speaker 01

  It's great to see, man.

• 40:44H. Foley?

Gerby's getting up, having his eggs and oatmeal, calling up the boys, hitting the links.

• 40:50Speaker 03

I, that's an accurate description. It makes me feel bad, like, I don't know, but I am experiencing joy.

• 40:56H. Foley?

What do you mean, you busting your ass for? What are you talking about?

• 41:00Speaker 01

Dude, this tires is like 11 years in the making.

• 41:02Speaker 03

  Yeah, yeah.

• 41:03Speaker 01

You know what I mean? It's not like, you know. Um, what, uh, what kind of golf clubs do you have?

• 41:10Speaker 03

Um, do you really want me to go?

• 41:12Speaker 01

A hundred percent. I'm gonna need, I'm gonna need a price check on these.

• 41:16H. Foley?

  Was this a big purchase?

• 41:17Speaker 03

Uh, by now standards? With the Netflix money?

• 41:23Speaker 01

  At the time.

• 41:23Speaker 03

Yeah, I mean, I would say it's probably about, uh, 1,800 hours worth of golf clubs.

• 41:29Speaker 03

  But it's, it's what I love.

• 41:30Speaker 01

Yeah. What do you, what kind of, what kind of, what kind of sticks you got?

• 41:34Speaker 03

I got a Strixon, uh, you know, uh, irons. And then I have on the way a Bettenardi putter. This is very high class. Because Andrew Santino hooked me up with, uh, Sam Bettenardi of Bettenardi.

• 41:46Speaker 01

I mean, that Santino, that guy is fucking locked in.

• 41:49Speaker 03

  It's unreal.

• 41:49Speaker 01

  He's locked in.

• 41:50Speaker 03

He's so connected. I'm getting this beautiful, it's like a piece of art they're making me.

• 41:53Speaker 01

He's like TMZ, that fucking guy.

• 41:54H. Foley?

  Yeah.

• 41:54Speaker 03

  He is.

• 41:55Speaker 01

  Huh.

• 41:55Speaker 03

That was so much fun. Get, I like, you know, so.

• 41:58Speaker 01

  It's great.

• 41:59H. Foley?

Uh, what kind of bed you got at the house now? You got a king? You got a queen?

• 42:01Speaker 03

I've got a king and I have a Satva RX something.

• 42:06Speaker 01

  Whoa, very nice.

• 42:08H. Foley?

You like a good night's sleep?

• 42:09Speaker 03

  I try to.

• 42:10H. Foley?

Yeah. Uh, you thought, you have a TV in the room?

• 42:12Speaker 03

No. I have, I have a device that, like an arm that clips onto the headboard that then puts my iPhone right here.

• 42:21Speaker 01

  Whoa.

• 42:26Speaker 01

  That's like what grandmothers get.

• 42:28Speaker 03

  Yeah.

• 42:29Speaker 01

  Or like hackers.

• 42:30Speaker 03

It's a weird sight. I sent you a picture, but I also have, so with, so the reason I say like Blau syndrome is because like I think the classification is it's arthritis, but it also affects the eyes.

• 42:40H. Foley?

  Okay.

• 42:41Speaker 03

So the right eye, I had to have cataract surgery. I don't have, so the contact is like really, really strong. So I take that out at night, can't see. So I have like a very, very strong lens. So I sit there with like that wrapped to my head and then I also have sleep apnea. Yeah, yeah.

• 42:57H. Foley?

  Well, you have sleep apnea.

• 42:58Speaker 03

Yeah. So I have like the mask.

• 43:01Speaker 01

You're locked in. You might as well be in a pod.

• 43:04Speaker 03

  It's really arresting looking.

• 43:10H. Foley?

And if somebody broke in, they would just slowly back out of the room.

• 43:12Speaker 03

Yeah, yeah. You want to see a picture of the glass?

• 43:15Speaker 01

Yeah, I need to. I mean, I don't want to be rude and ass, but I would love to see it. This guy's in the, this guy's fucking in the matrix.

• 43:22Speaker 03

Well, because and then one of the eyes is blacked out because this has a, it's had a, well, whatever.

• 43:29H. Foley?

Wait, one of the, you have one of your eyes blacked out when you watch TV?

• 43:32Speaker 03

Yeah, because I had a wrinkle in this retina. So they, they had put a lens replacement in, but then I don't really see out of it. Like the center of the vision's all distorted. So.

• 43:42H. Foley?

With those headphones and those glasses.

• 43:44Speaker 01

Dude, you just aged a hundred years putting those glasses on. Now I know what your dad looked like in the 90s.

• 43:49H. Foley?

I think you're calling a Reading Phillies game right now.

• 43:52Speaker 01

  Two, opt two now.

• 43:53Speaker 03

  Sorry, this might take me.

• 43:54Speaker 01

  No, take your time.

• 43:55H. Foley?

  It's okay.

• 43:56Speaker 01

  Huh.

• 43:57H. Foley?

  Oh, man.

• 43:57Speaker 01

Do you currently have a working printer at the apartment, at the house?

• 44:00Speaker 03

Yes. And it, yeah. And it's got a scanner.

• 44:04Speaker 03

Because I had, you know, once you start, you know, moving, moving on up.

• 44:07Speaker 01

Uh huh. You gotta get a printer. You gotta get an $89 printer.

• 44:10Speaker 03

Dang it. I think I deleted it.

• 44:12H. Foley?

  That's okay.

• 44:13Speaker 03

  All right. Sorry, guys.

• 44:14Speaker 01

No, all good. Uh, when was the last time you were at a strip club?

• 44:17Speaker 03

  Been a long time.

• 44:18Speaker 01

Been a long time. Do you remember where it was?

• 44:20Speaker 03

Uh, it was either Delilah's or um.

• 44:23Speaker 01

  Shout out to Delilah's.

• 44:24Speaker 03

Uh, the, the under 21 one.

• 44:28Speaker 01

  Show and tell.

• 44:28Speaker 03

  Show and tell. Yep.

• 44:30H. Foley?

  In Jersey.

• 44:31Speaker 01

No, Show and Tell's on Delaware.

• 44:32H. Foley?

What's the one over the, over the bridge, just in Jersey?

• 44:35Speaker 01

  I don't know.

• 44:36H. Foley?

I thought that was Show and Tell.

• 44:37Speaker 03

Those are the only two that I had ever.

• 44:39Speaker 01

Ever went to, ever partook in. Okay.

• 44:42H. Foley?

Any fireworks at the house currently?

• 44:44Speaker 03

  Definitely not.

• 44:45H. Foley?

No, no fireworks. In the bathroom, are you a, are you a soap man, are you a bar soap man, or are you a body wash guy?

• 44:52Speaker 03

Bar soap. And I, I have a, like, I think if that was invented second, everybody would be that.

• 44:58H. Foley?

  Bar soap?

• 44:59Speaker 03

  Yeah.

• 44:59H. Foley?

  Really?

• 45:00Speaker 01

What an interesting take. I don't disagree.

• 45:02Speaker 03

Right. It's so much more convenient. It's, everything's better about it.

• 45:05H. Foley?

Are you bar on skin, or do you use a washcloth or a loofah?

• 45:08Speaker 03

  Bar on skin.

• 45:09H. Foley?

  And what is the bar?

• 45:10Speaker 01

  What brand?

• 45:11Speaker 03

  With lotion.

• 45:11H. Foley?

Dove, you're a Dove man. You wash your hair every time you shower?

• 45:15Speaker 03

  Yes.

• 45:15H. Foley?

  Huh.

• 45:16Speaker 03

  With the bar.

• 45:17Speaker 01

You wash with the bar. I respect it, but I wouldn't say that publicly. That's pretty good.

• 45:21H. Foley?

  You soap in your hair?

• 45:23Speaker 03

  Yeah, it's the same.

• 45:25Speaker 01

I'm with you. I got, I'm team Gervie on this one.

• 45:27H. Foley?

Do you use any conditioner or anything like that?

• 45:29Speaker 03

No, then I use a Dial for my face.

• 45:32H. Foley?

  Specifically?

• 45:33Speaker 01

  A bar?

• 45:34Speaker 03

Uh, I do have a little, like, pump, like a hand.

• 45:36H. Foley?

  The Dial?

• 45:37Speaker 03

  Yeah, something about it.

• 45:38H. Foley?

That's gotta dry out your skin.

• 45:40Speaker 03

  I put lotion.

• 45:40Speaker 01

No, there's Dial Face. Like, is it Dial Face?

• 45:42Speaker 03

  No.

• 45:43Speaker 01

No, it's hand? You're doing hand?

• 45:45Speaker 03

  I am, yeah.

• 45:45H. Foley?

Is it yellow? Is it the yellow?

• 45:47Speaker 01

  That stuff from the 90s.

• 45:48H. Foley?

  Gervie, what the fuck?

• 45:49Speaker 03

But then I, but I don't know why, I had like an acne breakout one time, and then I think somebody told me about that, and then I tried it, and it worked, and then I don't know.

• 45:55H. Foley?

It probably dries your face out, yeah.

• 45:57Speaker 03

Yeah, but then I do lotion afterwards.

• 45:58Speaker 01

No wonder you got eye problems. That's the bad news.

• 46:01H. Foley?

  Sting it.

• 46:02Speaker 01

  That stuff will get you.

• 46:04H. Foley?

  Okay.

• 46:04Speaker 01

  Alright.

• 46:05H. Foley?

Will you brush your teeth in the shower?

• 46:06Speaker 03

  No.

• 46:08H. Foley?

  Will you pee in there?

• 46:09Speaker 03

  Sure.

• 46:10H. Foley?

All the time? Or if you have to?

• 46:12Speaker 03

  Mo, if I have to.

• 46:13H. Foley?

  Okay.

• 46:14Speaker 03

  Yeah, I don't like force it, but I don't.

• 46:15H. Foley?

  No, I got you.

• 46:16Speaker 01

His hands just sound like he's making up an alibi. Were you at the mall on Tuesday night? Sure, maybe? I'm not, I don't know. Do you want me to be at the mall? Uh, okay. Huh. And what do we get? Oh, the car, okay, the car is the Tacoma. What air freshener do you have in there now?

• 46:33Speaker 03

  No air freshener.

• 46:33Speaker 01

  No air, we're all done.

• 46:34H. Foley?

Will you eat in the car?

• 46:36Speaker 03

Occasionally, but I'm not a, I try not to.

• 46:38H. Foley?

Are you a fast food guy?

• 46:39Speaker 03

  I'm a Chipotle guy.

• 46:41Speaker 01

Do a bowl or a burrito?

• 46:42Speaker 03

  I'll do, either.

• 46:45Speaker 01

  Okay, you're not discriminating?

• 46:46Speaker 03

  Oh, yeah, yeah.

• 46:47H. Foley?

But what about traditional Mickey D's, Wendy's, anything like that?

• 46:50Speaker 03

  No, no.

• 46:51H. Foley?

  Nothing?

• 46:51Speaker 03

  No.

• 46:52H. Foley?

  Wow, alright, gentlemen. Any cologne?

• 46:56Speaker 03

Uh, no, I don't wear it regularly. I do have it.

• 46:59Speaker 01

  What kind?

• 47:00Speaker 03

I think it's called like Narcisco Rivera or something.

• 47:03Speaker 01

Is that a pitcher for the Yankees?

• 47:04Speaker 03

Uh, no, I said, yeah. Well, look it up. Hold on, I'm gonna look it up, but-

• 47:08Speaker 01

Narcisco Rivera, sounds like a, sounds like a, uh, a farm pitcher from Cuba.

• 47:13Speaker 03

It, it, it makes me feel very masculine when I'm wearing it.

• 47:16Speaker 01

  He's wearing Keith's glasses. I look over, it's a different guy.

• 47:18H. Foley?

  He's wearing Keith Hernandez.

• 47:20Speaker 05

  Narcisco Rodriguez.

• 47:21Speaker 03

Oh, there you go. That wasn't too bad.

• 47:25H. Foley?

  Alright, and what's the deodorant?

• 47:27Speaker 03

  Deodorant is Gillette.

• 47:28H. Foley?

  Mmm, the gel?

• 47:30Speaker 03

  Cool, the gel, yeah.

• 47:31Speaker 01

  Whoa.

• 47:32Speaker 03

Really? Why? What does that mean?

• 47:33Speaker 01

  That's old school stuff.

• 47:34H. Foley?

  Very early 2000s.

• 47:35Speaker 03

  What do you use?

• 47:36Speaker 01

  I, I'll, I use a dump product. I bought some last night.

• 47:39Speaker 03

  Interesting. H?

• 47:41H. Foley?

  Uh, I use Old Spice.

• 47:42Speaker 01

  A little bit of salami.

• 47:43H. Foley?

Old Spice straight deodorant, no antiperspirant.

• 47:46Speaker 03

  Really?

• 47:47H. Foley?

  Yeah.

• 47:47Speaker 03

Do you get, so, when, did-

• 47:49Speaker 01

Unless there's a bigger guy, I gotta say, he smells pretty, he smells good 99% of the time.

• 47:52Speaker 03

  Yeah, he smells great, but-

• 47:53H. Foley?

I don't get like the, the, I don't get the hoagie, uh, BO smell. Never have.

• 47:58Speaker 03

Right, but you don't, but you, have you ever tried the antiperspirant?

• 48:00H. Foley?

  Yeah, I don't like it.

• 48:01Speaker 03

  And you don't like it?

• 48:02H. Foley?

Nah, cause it, it, it, it works too well. Does that make sense?

• 48:05Speaker 03

  Yeah, yeah, it does, yeah.

• 48:06Speaker 01

Starts coming out of other places.

• 48:07Speaker 03

  Got it.

• 48:08H. Foley?

  Yeah.

• 48:09Speaker 01

I don't know, I'm making that up, I have no idea. Uh, okay.

• 48:12H. Foley?

  Any braces as a kid?

• 48:13Speaker 03

  Yep.

• 48:14H. Foley?

  Headgear?

• 48:15Speaker 03

  No, no headgear.

• 48:16H. Foley?

  Okay. Not bad.

• 48:19Speaker 01

  You like roller coasters?

• 48:20Speaker 03

  No.

• 48:21Speaker 01

  No.

• 48:21Speaker 03

  No.

• 48:22H. Foley?

  Nothing like that.

• 48:22Speaker 01

When was the last time you were on a roller coaster?

• 48:24Speaker 03

The closest thing was Splash Mountain. I tried to climb out.

• 48:30Speaker 01

  We got a jumper.

• 48:31Speaker 03

They lied to me about it, and they, they was like-

• 48:34Speaker 01

  Who's "they"?

• 48:34Speaker 03

  My parents.

• 48:35H. Foley?

What do you mean they lied to you?

• 48:37Speaker 03

They, they were like, "It's not a big drop" or whatever.

• 48:39Speaker 01

  Oh, it's a, yeah.

• 48:40Speaker 03

And then, once we started like coming around, then you're like click, click, click. I was like, "What is this?", and I tried to get out, and they're like, "You're fine, you're fine, you're fine."

• 48:47Speaker 01

Click, click, click, we're still scared.

• 48:49H. Foley?

Roll out of the roller coaster.

• 48:50Speaker 01

Splash Mountain. Whoo, a lot of auto traders around the house growing up?

• 48:55Speaker 03

Uh, no, my dad was not a big car guy in a sense. Like, he, he started that because my, my grandfather, uh, was working on construction equipment out of that shop. Then he went under, my dad made a deal with the bank that was like, "I'll take it over and we'll..." So then he started auto repair, but just out of like-

• 49:13Speaker 01

  Necessity.

• 49:13Speaker 03

  Necessity.

• 49:14Speaker 01

  Okay.

• 49:14Speaker 03

  Yep. Alrighty.

• 49:17H. Foley?

Um, will you dance at a wedding?

• 49:21Speaker 03

  Yeah.

• 49:22H. Foley?

  Really?

• 49:22Speaker 03

  Yeah.

• 49:23H. Foley?

I am stunned by that answer.

• 49:24Speaker 01

How do you feel? Are you think you're a solid dancer? Or you're just like, I don't care, I'm throwing a division to the wind, having a good time?

• 49:29Speaker 03

I think if I choreograph something.

• 49:34Speaker 01

  Oh, you're doing like-

• 49:34H. Foley?

  What?

• 49:35Speaker 01

  You're doing set pieces?

• 49:38H. Foley?

  What are you talking about?

• 49:38Speaker 01

DJ, take it from the top!

• 49:40H. Foley?

  Hold on, where I don't-

• 49:41Speaker 03

I wanna see that. I will find this when I go to re-watch this, where I go, I think I choreographed it. You go, "What?" Well, so I did, so some people might-

• 49:51Speaker 01

  Cute little number.

• 49:52Speaker 03

Might be like familiar with it, like I did lip sync contests in, uh-

• 49:56Speaker 01

  Who, no.

• 49:57Speaker 03

Oh, well, I had talked about it on like Shane's podcast. Um, in high school, and so like I did a Michael Jackson thing, so-

• 50:03Speaker 01

Is this like, is this, is there a, you're doing this with a wink for fun? Or is it, you're dead serious on it?

• 50:09Speaker 03

  I took it dead serious-

• 50:10H. Foley?

  You said lip sync contest?

• 50:12Speaker 03

  Yeah.

• 50:12H. Foley?

  In high school?

• 50:13Speaker 03

  Yeah.

• 50:13H. Foley?

  They would have them regularly?

• 50:15Speaker 03

  Yeah, well, they, yes-

• 50:17H. Foley?

  Were they at school?

• 50:17Speaker 03

  It's the annual, yeah.

• 50:18H. Foley?

  Okay.

• 50:19Speaker 03

It was in the big auditorium.

• 50:20H. Foley?

  Right.

• 50:20Speaker 01

We're doing a big room, we ain't talk, we ain't talking no auxiliary flex room shit.

• 50:25H. Foley?

Oh my god, you did it every year?

• 50:26Speaker 03

  Yeah.

• 50:27H. Foley?

It was, it was the same number every time?

• 50:29Speaker 03

No, so like the first year I did Michael Jackson, and then that was-

• 50:32H. Foley?

  What song?

• 50:33Speaker 03

  Black or White.

• 50:34H. Foley?

  Okay.

• 50:34Speaker 03

And then, uh, that, I, I've tried to talk about this on stage, it doesn't work, but the, at the time, so this is when I was like developing cataracts and like having vision pre- So I was like missing a lot of school, and then my French teacher was failing me. And so then my dad went in like Uncle Buck style, like flipped out.

• 50:53H. Foley?

  Uh huh.

• 50:53Speaker 03

And then she, as like sort of an olive branch to me,

• 50:56H. Foley?

  Mm-hmm.

• 50:57Speaker 03

Was like, "I heard great things about that Michael Jackson dance you did, do you wanna do it in front of the French class?" And I-

• 51:03H. Foley?

  Wait, what did she hear?

• 51:04Speaker 03

I know that sounds insane, everybody like hears this and they think like-

• 51:07Speaker 01

  That sounds wild, yeah.

• 51:07Speaker 03

"Oh, she was trying to get you," whatever, it wasn't. It was like, she was making the peace with me, she was trying to like-

• 51:12Speaker 01

I was just going, man, that was a different time.

• 51:14Speaker 03

  Yeah.

• 51:15Speaker 01

It's like, hey, you're bad at French, you're missing a lot of school, can you dance for us?

• 51:18H. Foley?

Wait, she heard about your performance in the, at the annual lip sync contest in the auditorium?

• 51:22Speaker 03

  That's right.

• 51:22Speaker 01

That's how him and Kiefer started working together.

• 51:26H. Foley?

And then she was like, "Hey, I heard you're really good at that, why don't you come in and do it in front of the class and it'll, it'll bring your grade up?"

• 51:32Speaker 03

Not bring my grade up, it was like, cause her whole thing was, you know, she was like, he, he did the lip sync contest.

• 51:38H. Foley?

  Uh huh.

• 51:39Speaker 03

And my mom was like, "Because he likes that and he doesn't care about French."

• 51:43H. Foley?

  Okay.

• 51:43Speaker 03

So, in that sort of- Making it up, that's what she offered.

• 51:48Speaker 01

  Okay.

• 51:48Speaker 03

Thinking it was gonna be a good idea and I get, right, and I thought it was gonna be a good idea, it was the most awkward thing I've ever done.

• 51:53Speaker 01

  Yeah, yeah, yeah, yeah.

• 51:56Speaker 03

It was the most awkward thing I've ever done. You remember black or white on the CD had the entire intro?

• 52:01Speaker 01

  Sure.

• 52:02Speaker 03

  That played.

• 52:02Speaker 01

  Oh, God.

• 52:04Speaker 03

I just stood there. And then there's a rap interlude, and I just stood there. And you could hear my grunts. Yeah, I couldn't moonwalk because there was half a carpet. It was so fucking embarrassing.

• 52:15Speaker 01

Takes a sip of water during the intermission, he's sitting there.

• 52:17Speaker 03

So that, that was that. Then the second year I did Madonna, that was really because I'd never worn a dress before. And well, I did this like mover, I got down, it was like, like, uh.

• 52:28Speaker 01

You had worn a dress for the performance?

• 52:30Speaker 03

  Yeah.

• 52:31Speaker 01

  Oh, I'm sorry.

• 52:32Speaker 03

I mean, I was doing Madonna.

• 52:33Speaker 01

  Sure.

• 52:34H. Foley?

What, what, what was the reaction from the, from the high school crowd?

• 52:37Speaker 03

So this like is my mom's most mortifying moment because some guy, like kid behind her was like, ew, that's a guy. And so it was, it was really uncomfortable.

• 52:45Speaker 01

  That chick's a dude.

• 52:49Speaker 03

And then, but I bounced back. Uh, I did Pavarotti the next year and I like.

• 52:55Speaker 01

You should have done something a little more of the time.

• 52:58Speaker 03

Well, no, because I, I, and I like stuffed my like fat suit with stuff. So as I was saying, I was like pulling out all.

• 53:03Speaker 01

  Oh, that's fun.

• 53:03Speaker 03

  Yeah.

• 53:04Speaker 01

It's got a bit to it. Yeah, that's great.

• 53:05Speaker 03

And then I did Lord of the Dance or whatever that was, uh.

• 53:08Speaker 01

  It gets worse every year.

• 53:10Speaker 03

No, that got good. That did, that got rave reviews. It does not get worse. So.

• 53:16H. Foley?

  Whoa.

• 53:18Speaker 01

What made, okay, what made you do that? Were you doing that at home or was that like?

• 53:22Speaker 03

What do you mean what made me do that? I thought it was a good idea.

• 53:27Speaker 03

  Desire to be liked?

• 53:28Speaker 01

  Yeah, okay.

• 53:29H. Foley?

So how does that translate into a wedding where you, well, you'll have something coordinated?

• 53:34Speaker 03

Oh, so you were like, do you think you're a good dancer? I'm like, if I'm dancing at a wedding, no. If I had something coordinated, probably not. Yeah, probably not. But I feel like somebody could choreograph dance moves for me and I could do it and you'd be like, that's not as bad as I thought it was gonna look.

• 53:48H. Foley?

  Can you moonwalk?

• 53:50Speaker 03

  Not well.

• 53:51Speaker 01

  That goddamn carpet.

• 53:52H. Foley?

Could you, could you better as a kid?

• 53:54Speaker 03

As a kid, I could a little bit better. Yeah.

• 53:56H. Foley?

  That's pretty good.

• 53:57Speaker 03

  Yeah.

• 53:57H. Foley?

  Moonwalking. Can you whistle?

• 54:00Speaker 03

  Not well, no.

• 54:02Speaker 01

  Can you, mm, okay. Hmm.

• 54:05H. Foley?

  Hmm.

• 54:06Speaker 01

  Phew.

• 54:07H. Foley?

  It's.

• 54:08Speaker 01

How many suits do you own?

• 54:10Speaker 03

Uh, well, technically two now, because Shane told me to buy a tux. He was like.

• 54:15Speaker 01

  You bought a tux?

• 54:16Speaker 03

Well, he was like, we should wear tuxes on, uh.

• 54:19Speaker 01

  Chef.

• 54:20H. Foley?

  Oh, yeah.

• 54:20Speaker 03

  Seth Myers.

• 54:21H. Foley?

  That's funny.

• 54:21Speaker 03

So I was like, sure. And then I bought one, and then before I took it to Taylor, because I have very narrow shoulders, so I like Taylor my. I texted, I was like, are we really doing this? He's like, no, I was just trying to make you wear a tux.

• 54:31H. Foley?

What did the tux set you back?

• 54:33Speaker 03

  That was like $1,200.

• 54:34H. Foley?

  Jesus.

• 54:34Speaker 03

Yeah. Well, but I have a business account now, and that was on the business.

• 54:39H. Foley?

  Ah, gentleman. I like that.

• 54:42Speaker 01

  Multiple accounts.

• 54:43H. Foley?

I like that. I like that.

• 54:46Speaker 01

Who's the current, uh, cellphone provider?

• 54:49Speaker 03

  Verizon.

• 54:50H. Foley?

  Not bad.

• 54:51Speaker 01

Have you ever bought a pair of Skechers?

• 54:53Speaker 03

Definitely, yes. I'm sorry. I just love their boots.

• 54:59H. Foley?

Will you eat over the sink? Will you like have a sandwich over the sink?

• 55:01Speaker 03

That's my favorite place to eat.

• 55:03H. Foley?

  Is that right?

• 55:03Speaker 03

Yeah. I don't like sitting and eating.

• 55:06H. Foley?

  No kidding?

• 55:06Speaker 03

  I can't stand it, and I.

• 55:08Speaker 01

  I won't sit for it.

• 55:09Speaker 03

  I, you know.

• 55:12Speaker 01

What's so wrong with it? What the, what?

• 55:13Speaker 03

I was trying to think about that recently. Uh, because I was having lunch with, uh, my accountant, and I was like.

• 55:18Speaker 01

I'm gonna stand if you don't mind. Man, these Hollywood types, I tell you.

• 55:23H. Foley?

Where were you having lunch with them?

• 55:24Speaker 03

  At the hotel.

• 55:25H. Foley?

  Okay.

• 55:26Speaker 03

  This was in Austin.

• 55:27H. Foley?

  Okay.

• 55:28Speaker 03

But anyway, I, I am disgusting when I eat insofar as like I, I pack my cheeks full of food. I've tried to change this.

• 55:34Speaker 01

I've heard anybody describe that eating that way.

• 55:36Speaker 03

  Yeah, it's very, it's disgusting.

• 55:38H. Foley?

Are you a bite and sip man? Are you a bite and then a sip, sip a drink?

• 55:42Speaker 03

  I do sip a lot.

• 55:43H. Foley?

  Okay.

• 55:43Speaker 03

But I really, I like, I pack it in there, and then I kind of like, masticate it a lot. And so it's, it's hard to do that and have a conversation with somebody.

• 55:51Speaker 01

  Sure.

• 55:52Speaker 03

  So.

• 55:54H. Foley?

What's your fourth quarter looking like?

• 55:56Speaker 03

So I don't like doing it.

• 55:58H. Foley?

So at home, when you have your oatmeal and your eggs in the morning, is, is that standing up?

• 56:01Speaker 03

  Lot of standing, yeah.

• 56:02H. Foley?

  Nice.

• 56:03Speaker 03

  Yeah, moving around.

• 56:03H. Foley?

I like that too, man. I like that too. I respect that.

• 56:06Speaker 01

  Hmm.

• 56:07H. Foley?

Uh, were you, are you cooking at the house a good amount, or are you ordering in?

• 56:09Speaker 03

  Cooking.

• 56:10H. Foley?

  Cooking?

• 56:10Speaker 03

  Yeah.

• 56:11H. Foley?

What about, what other stuff? What stuff will you not touch? Like seafood?

• 56:17Speaker 03

I try to eat it because of the protein and all that, but I'm just not a big fan.

• 56:20H. Foley?

  What about oysters?

• 56:21Speaker 03

  No.

• 56:22Speaker 01

  Sushi?

• 56:22Speaker 03

  No.

• 56:22Speaker 01

  No.

• 56:23Speaker 03

It's basically just like chicken and then variations of like cheese and bread.

• 56:27Speaker 01

  I'm right there with you.

• 56:28H. Foley?

  Really?

• 56:29Speaker 03

  Yeah.

• 56:29H. Foley?

  That's the main, no kidding.

• 56:31Speaker 03

  Yeah.

• 56:31H. Foley?

  What about pizza?

• 56:32Speaker 03

  Of course pizza.

• 56:33H. Foley?

  Alright.

• 56:33Speaker 01

  You like a chicken parm?

• 56:35Speaker 03

Yeah, I'll go there. It's not like a normal thing, so I do try and stay away from the fried stuff.

• 56:40Speaker 01

  Gotcha.

• 56:41H. Foley?

  It's pretty good.

• 56:42Speaker 01

  Huh.

• 56:42H. Foley?

Uh, do you have a favorite frozen pizza growing up? Was there one in the house?

• 56:46Speaker 03

  We just did like Elio's.

• 56:48H. Foley?

  Did Elio's?

• 56:49Speaker 01

Okay. Uh, have you ever smoked a Black and Mild?

• 56:53Speaker 03

  No.

• 56:54H. Foley?

  You ever smoke a cigarette?

• 56:55Speaker 03

  Uh, yeah.

• 56:58Speaker 01

  He taps his runny nose.

• 57:01Speaker 03

I got a runny nose. It just always, anytime I smile, it just like triggers a thing.

• 57:04Speaker 01

It was very, that was very, uh, you know, theatrical. It was good.

• 57:08H. Foley?

We know you like a cock- a cocktail. You like a cocktail. Have a drink.

• 57:11Speaker 03

I do. I'm trying to cut back. Yeah.

• 57:12H. Foley?

  Right. Beers mostly?

• 57:14Speaker 03

No, it would be like vodka on the rocks.

• 57:16H. Foley?

  A vodka on the rocks?

• 57:17Speaker 01

  You have a go-to brand.

• 57:18Speaker 03

  Smirnoff.

• 57:19Speaker 01

  Smirnoff on the rock.

• 57:21H. Foley?

  Whoa.

• 57:21Speaker 03

  Yeah.

• 57:22H. Foley?

  That is old school.

• 57:23Speaker 03

  Very used to it.

• 57:24H. Foley?

Do you have a bar set up at the house?

• 57:26Speaker 03

  No.

• 57:26H. Foley?

  No. Okay.

• 57:28Speaker 01

  Huh.

• 57:29H. Foley?

Are your shoes off in the house, at your house?

• 57:31Speaker 03

  No.

• 57:31Speaker 01

  Really?

• 57:32Speaker 03

  Very anti that.

• 57:33H. Foley?

  Really?

• 57:34Speaker 03

  Yeah.

• 57:34Speaker 01

If I came over, if you came over my house and I was like, you gotta take your shoes off, that would...

• 57:37Speaker 03

I'd go get ready for foot powder everywhere.

• 57:41Speaker 01

Guys, you wanna lose your appetite?

• 57:42H. Foley?

  You're a foot powder man?

• 57:43Speaker 03

  Yeah.

• 57:44H. Foley?

  What are you using?

• 57:44Speaker 03

Get ready for foot powder everywhere. What, the lotion of AF, I put it in all my, you know, just to...

• 57:50Speaker 01

  Every day?

• 57:50Speaker 03

Every day. I just squirt it in before I...

• 57:52H. Foley?

You mean the, the anti-athlete's foot?

• 57:54Speaker 03

  Yeah.

• 57:55H. Foley?

Why? Do you have athlete's foot?

• 57:56Speaker 03

No, but I think the, the medication that I'm on makes me fungal prone. So, like...

• 58:02Speaker 01

Welcome back to, are you fungal prone?

• 58:06Speaker 03

So, uh, I just, I, you know, come to my basis.

• 58:08H. Foley?

  As a precaution.

• 58:09Speaker 03

  Plus shoes are comfortable.

• 58:11H. Foley?

  Sure.

• 58:12Speaker 03

You know, but if you had like a, a nice rug or whatever, I'd be like, I get it.

• 58:15Speaker 01

No, you're not taking, you're not putting your fucking powdery feet on my, on my nice rug. Uh, okay. Do you enjoy the movie Four Brothers by any chance?

• 58:23Speaker 03

  I don't know it.

• 58:24Speaker 01

You don't know it? Huh. How much cash do you have on you right now?

• 58:28Speaker 03

I have a hundred dollars, because that's gonna go to the driver.

• 58:31Speaker 01

You don't have to tip him, it's included.

• 58:33Speaker 03

Oh, well, he's gonna get it.

• 58:34Speaker 01

  Okay.

• 58:35H. Foley?

  Yeah, what a sh- what a- that's a-

• 58:37Speaker 01

Is it a hundred dollar bill, or?

• 58:38Speaker 03

  No.

• 58:39Speaker 01

What- what's- what are the denominations?

• 58:40H. Foley?

  Ten tens.

• 58:41Speaker 03

  It's- it is a- a cluster.

• 58:43Speaker 01

It's not five twenties, can we- can we figure it out?

• 58:45Speaker 03

It's four- four twenties and then four fives.

• 58:48Speaker 01

Okay. That's a bad- that is a bad way to slip a guy wet soggy money.

• 58:55Speaker 03

Yeah, well, I'll just go, "Thank you."

• 58:58H. Foley?

Why is there foot powder all over this?

• 59:00Speaker 01

Sorry for the foot powder. Sorry for your backseat, sir. What kind of car is it, if I don't mind me asking? I don't know.

• 59:05Speaker 03

  What, the pickup?

• 59:06Speaker 01

  Yeah.

• 59:06Speaker 03

It was like a Cadillac SUV or something.

• 59:08H. Foley?

  Nice.

• 59:09Speaker 03

Great driver, we didn't say a word to each other.

• 59:11H. Foley?

  Love that.

• 59:12Speaker 03

  Great temperature.

• 59:13Speaker 01

I love it when you get in, and they have headphones in, you go, "There's not even gonna be an attempt of a conversation."

• 59:19H. Foley?

What credit cards are you banging with now? You got an American Express?

• 59:22Speaker 03

  Uh, yeah, for the business.

• 59:23H. Foley?

  Right?

• 59:24Speaker 03

And then my personal is a Visa that's like an Amazon thing.

• 59:28H. Foley?

  Gotcha. Any Discover cards?

• 59:30Speaker 03

  No.

• 59:31H. Foley?

Do I ever have a Diners Club?

• 59:32Speaker 03

  No.

• 59:33H. Foley?

Who's cutting the hair these days?

• 59:35Speaker 03

  Flobee.

• 59:35Speaker 01

  Nuh-uh.

• 59:36Speaker 03

Yeah, I got really bad hair. I have, uh, it's like a very- anyway, it just is what it is. I use a Flobee.

• 59:42Speaker 01

  You're doing- I've never-

• 59:43Speaker 03

  Yeah.

• 59:45H. Foley?

You might be the most unique human being I've ever met.

• 59:48Speaker 03

You know, have you tried a Flobee?

• 59:50Speaker 01

No. My- my- my sister-in-law's father was one of the inventors of the Flobee.

• 59:55H. Foley?

And is it a newer one?

• 59:56Speaker 01

It's not left over from the eighties.

• 59:58Speaker 03

No, it's- Amazon still sells them. I got it- I got it about a year and a half ago, I think, and, uh,

• 1:00:07Speaker 03

I gotta tell ya, if they're looking for a spokesperson-

• 1:00:11H. Foley?

  Hit up the kid.

• 1:00:12Speaker 03

  Yeah.

• 1:00:13Speaker 01

Couple of bars open a Flowbee, gonna get you looking right.

• 1:00:16Speaker 03

Only they gotta include like, uh, earplugs, cuz it's loud. You wouldn't believe.

• 1:00:23Speaker 01

How, how many solutions have you exhausted where you know, you're like, you know what, fuck it, I'm getting a Flowbee? Were you running through a lot of barbers or just were you with a barber a long time or what was the?

• 1:00:36Speaker 03

I went through a phase where I was cutting my hair.

• 1:00:38Speaker 01

  Okay.

• 1:00:39Speaker 03

Um, and then I went to a barber and then it was just like, yeah, I'm gonna try this.

• 1:00:45Speaker 01

  Okay, I respect it.

• 1:00:46H. Foley?

The Flowbee, I don't even know.

• 1:00:48Speaker 01

That was one of the first questions, have you ever used a Flowbee? And no one's ever said yes.

• 1:00:52Speaker 05

Well, sales did skyrocket after 2020 because George Clooney mentioned he does use one.

• 1:00:57Speaker 03

  There you go.

• 1:00:58H. Foley?

That's right, Clooney does cut his own hair.

• 1:01:00Speaker 01

Gerben. Huh, if when you're gothin', will you, will you chat up the beverage cart girl?

• 1:01:06Speaker 03

  No, god, no.

• 1:01:06Speaker 01

  Okay.

• 1:01:08Speaker 03

  I really don't like that.

• 1:01:09H. Foley?

I assume you don't like, assume you don't like deviled eggs.

• 1:01:12Speaker 03

  I don't.

• 1:01:14Speaker 01

Will you put your hand on the wall when you're peeing at a urinal?

• 1:01:16Speaker 03

  No.

• 1:01:17Speaker 01

  Okay.

• 1:01:17H. Foley?

Do you remember the first time you had Nutella?

• 1:01:20Speaker 03

Uh, yeah, I think it was like definitely post-college.

• 1:01:25H. Foley?

How do you feel about it? You like it?

• 1:01:26Speaker 03

  Not my favorite, no.

• 1:01:27H. Foley?

  No? Interesting.

• 1:01:28Speaker 01

Will you order a drink with no ice? Like I'll do a, I'll do a Diet Coke with no ice.

• 1:01:32Speaker 03

  No.

• 1:01:33H. Foley?

Will you take leftovers from the restaurant?

• 1:01:36Speaker 03

To, to make the person not feel like, yeah, no, sometimes. I went through a phase where I'd be like, I felt like it was a nice thing to do to take it. Now I don't feel that. So no.

• 1:01:47H. Foley?

  Really? You don't like it?

• 1:01:48Speaker 03

  No.

• 1:01:49H. Foley?

You don't like taking it home and having it the next day or later on that night?

• 1:01:51Speaker 03

It would really depend on the food, I think.

• 1:01:53H. Foley?

  Huh.

• 1:01:54Speaker 03

  Yeah.

• 1:01:54Speaker 01

How do you pronounce the product that Crayola makes?

• 1:01:57Speaker 03

  Crayon.

• 1:01:58Speaker 01

Gentlemen. Huh, do you, is it?

• 1:02:01Speaker 03

  What's the other way?

• 1:02:02Speaker 01

I say crown, he says crayon.

• 1:02:04H. Foley?

  Crayon.

• 1:02:04Speaker 03

  Crayon.

• 1:02:05H. Foley?

  Pack of crayons.

• 1:02:05Speaker 01

  Pack of crayons.

• 1:02:06Speaker 03

  Interesting.

• 1:02:07H. Foley?

  Yeah.

• 1:02:07Speaker 01

  Is it Wikipedia or Wikipedia?

• 1:02:10Speaker 03

  Wikipedia.

• 1:02:11Speaker 01

  Wikipedia.

• 1:02:12H. Foley?

What's the grocery store you're going to?

• 1:02:14Speaker 03

  Giant.

• 1:02:15H. Foley?

  You go to a Giant?

• 1:02:16Speaker 01

  Respectable.

• 1:02:17H. Foley?

  Love it. Very nice.

• 1:02:19Speaker 01

Have you ever seriously tried the beatbox?

• 1:02:21Speaker 03

  Yes.

• 1:02:22Speaker 01

  Really?

• 1:02:23Speaker 03

  Absolutely.

• 1:02:23Speaker 01

  I forgot he's a showman.

• 1:02:26H. Foley?

  He's dressing up as Madonna.

• 1:02:27Speaker 01

  I know, yeah.

• 1:02:28Speaker 03

There was this kid, Paul John, in my middle school would do this thing where he would like.

• 1:02:35Speaker 03

Should I try to do it?

• 1:02:36Speaker 01

  Yeah.

• 1:02:37Speaker 03

Is that entertaining? Humiliate myself? I haven't done this in years.

• 1:02:41Speaker 01

He just hits it fucking perfectly. It's all a rope though.

• 1:02:44Speaker 03

Oh my god. It was like...

• 1:02:50Speaker 03

It was like a lot of like...

• 1:02:51Speaker 01

I don't think that was it.

• 1:02:54Speaker 01

  Call that the anaphylactic.

• 1:02:58Speaker 01

Okay. I know, I... Listen, that was a better... I know what you were going for. That was a better attempt than I could have done. I can't laugh at it.

• 1:03:05H. Foley?

Ever been stung by a bee?

• 1:03:06Speaker 03

  I think so.

• 1:03:08Speaker 01

  If I ever find them.

• 1:03:09Speaker 03

Yeah, delivering mail, we don't know. I don't know. Something stung me.

• 1:03:13Speaker 01

That was... I forgot you delivered mail. We've been on such a journey.

• 1:03:17Speaker 03

  Putting flowers by a mailbox.

• 1:03:19Speaker 01

  Crazy.

• 1:03:20H. Foley?

  Are you allergic to anything?

• 1:03:22Speaker 03

Uh, not that I know of.

• 1:03:23Speaker 01

  I'm shocked.

• 1:03:26Speaker 01

  I'm shocked. Uh, huh.

• 1:03:29H. Foley?

Will you get cash back when you go to like CVS or whatever?

• 1:03:32Speaker 03

  No.

• 1:03:32H. Foley?

No? Not a cash back, man, that's good. That's good.

• 1:03:36Speaker 01

Oh, well you sneak snacks into a movie theater?

• 1:03:38Speaker 03

  Not anymore, no.

• 1:03:39Speaker 01

  You did as a kid?

• 1:03:40Speaker 03

  Sure, definitely.

• 1:03:41H. Foley?

Do you like to go to the movies?

• 1:03:43Speaker 03

  No.

• 1:03:43H. Foley?

  No. Why not?

• 1:03:45Speaker 01

  Next question.

• 1:03:45Speaker 03

Uh, just like... I like to get up and move around. I, you know, I... You're really locked in.

• 1:03:51H. Foley?

  Standing there.

• 1:03:52Speaker 03

  Yeah.

• 1:03:55Speaker 01

Huh. Do you know how to tie a tie?

• 1:03:57Speaker 03

  Think, yeah.

• 1:03:58Speaker 01

Yeah, you could get it done?

• 1:03:59Speaker 03

  Yeah.

• 1:03:59Speaker 01

Have you ever written your name in wet cement?

• 1:04:01Speaker 03

  No.

• 1:04:02Speaker 01

No. Have you ever gone ghost hunting?

• 1:04:04Speaker 03

  No.

• 1:04:04Speaker 01

Ever claimed to see a ghost?

• 1:04:06Speaker 03

  No.

• 1:04:06H. Foley?

What about UFOs? You ever see a UFO?

• 1:04:08Speaker 03

  No.

• 1:04:10H. Foley?

You have a go-to karaoke song?

• 1:04:12Speaker 01

  You got to.

• 1:04:13Speaker 03

No, I don't. I haven't done it in a while. I was planning on doing, um... If we, if we had karaoke to rap party, I was gonna do, uh, Be Our Guest. From, uh, the...

• 1:04:22Speaker 01

  Beauty and the Beast?

• 1:04:23Speaker 03

  Beauty and the Beast, yeah.

• 1:04:24Speaker 01

  Whoa, that's...

• 1:04:26H. Foley?

Ah, I love it. I love it. If we came over to the house right now, we come over to the house,

• 1:04:32H. Foley?

  you offer us water.

• 1:04:33Speaker 03

  Yeah.

• 1:04:34H. Foley?

What are you giving us? Is it out of the tap? Is it a Brita? Is it a bottle?

• 1:04:37Speaker 03

It's, it's out of the fridge.

• 1:04:38H. Foley?

  Okay.

• 1:04:39Speaker 03

But you'd also have a Spindrift option.

• 1:04:41Speaker 01

  Ooh.

  I subscribe and save.

• 1:04:43Speaker 01

• 1:04:45Speaker 03

  Yeah.

• 1:04:45Speaker 01

  Got that credit card.

• 1:04:46Speaker 03

  That's right.

• 1:04:48Speaker 01

Subscribe. What else do you subscribe and save to? Can't just be the Spindrift.

• 1:04:51Speaker 03

Cat litter, um, large trash bags.

• 1:04:55Speaker 01

This guy's moving a lot of garbage.

• 1:04:56Speaker 03

Keep having to remember to try and unsubscribe because I just have like contractor bags.

• 1:05:02Speaker 01

  Yeah.

• 1:05:03H. Foley?

  Who's, I'm sorry.

• 1:05:04Speaker 03

  No, please.

• 1:05:04H. Foley?

Who's cleaning the house? Are you doing it yourself?

• 1:05:06Speaker 03

  Yeah.

• 1:05:07H. Foley?

Okay. No, um, ma- no clean people coming in?

• 1:05:10Speaker 03

  No.

• 1:05:11H. Foley?

  Single guy? Figure maybe?

• 1:05:12Speaker 03

Uh, well, my guy, I have a girlfriend. She does clean a lot, but I am thinking about getting a maid service.

• 1:05:18H. Foley?

Got you. Does she live there too with you, your lady?

• 1:05:20Speaker 03

  No.

• 1:05:20H. Foley?

  Okay. Nice. I like it.

• 1:05:22Speaker 01

Where'd you meet her if you don't mind me asking?

• 1:05:24Speaker 03

  She actually worked at Helium.

• 1:05:25Speaker 01

  Worked at Helium?

• 1:05:26H. Foley?

  No kidding?

• 1:05:26Speaker 01

Wow, okay. Have you ever had a manicure or pedicure?

• 1:05:29Speaker 03

  No.

• 1:05:30Speaker 01

How do you feel about a massage?

• 1:05:32Speaker 03

  I feel good.

• 1:05:33Speaker 01

  You'll get a massage?

• 1:05:34Speaker 03

  Yeah.

• 1:05:35Speaker 01

  Okay.

• 1:05:35Speaker 03

  I haven't, I haven't had one in a very long time.

• 1:05:37Speaker 01

  Okay.

• 1:05:38H. Foley?

You'll do some chicken wings? You like a chicken wing?

• 1:05:40Speaker 03

  No.

• 1:05:40H. Foley?

  Why?

• 1:05:41Speaker 03

Bones. I don't like the bones.

• 1:05:43H. Foley?

Whoa. You don't like bone-in chicken?

• 1:05:45Speaker 03

  No.

• 1:05:46H. Foley?

No kidding? I should have saw that coming.

• 1:05:48Speaker 01

Do you do boneless if you go somewhere? Or now the fried?

• 1:05:52Speaker 03

Yes, the fried. Yeah. I always look for something else.

• 1:05:54H. Foley?

  I assume you don't, wouldn't need a chicken thigh?

• 1:05:57Speaker 03

No. I, I, but I do at Chipotle.

• 1:06:01H. Foley?

  That's right.

• 1:06:01Speaker 03

  Yeah.

• 1:06:02H. Foley?

  That's right. Wow. Okay.

• 1:06:05Speaker 01

If you get takeout, you know, or delivery to the house, whatever, will you plate that food or do you eat out of the container it comes in?

• 1:06:12Speaker 03

It, it, it truly depends on the food.

• 1:06:15Speaker 01

Hit me with the, hit me with the rules.

• 1:06:16Speaker 03

Han Dynasty, you get the don-don noodles. Those are going in a bowl.

• 1:06:20Speaker 01

  She got to.

• 1:06:22Speaker 03

But the Cuban-style tofu, that just stays in the plastic truck.

• 1:06:27Speaker 01

This guy's got a set of rules.

• 1:06:28H. Foley?

Particularly. Now, if, say, say, uh, the lady is over with you, your, your girl's over with you, and you guys do order Han Dynasty or whatever, and you got it coming over, will you sit at the kitchen table and eat that or will you sit on the couch in front of the TV?

• 1:06:41Speaker 03

  Kitchen table.

• 1:06:41H. Foley?

  Kitchen table.

• 1:06:42Speaker 03

  Yeah.

• 1:06:42H. Foley?

And sit and have like a, yeah, like a, like a normal adult meal?

• 1:06:45Speaker 03

  Yes.

• 1:06:46H. Foley?

It's pretty good. I mean, listen, there's a couple, there's a couple of things, but.

• 1:06:52Speaker 01

How do you clean your, you know, let's say you're, you're, you're out and you have to, you know, not to be crude, you have to do a number two and you have to use a public restroom. How are you cleaning that? Are you cleaning the toilet? Are you waiting to get home? What are you doing in that situation?

• 1:07:04Speaker 03

We're really trying to wait till we get home.

• 1:07:05Speaker 01

  Really?

• 1:07:06Speaker 03

There's a lot that goes into making sure we're not even in that situation.

• 1:07:09Speaker 01

  Smart.

• 1:07:10Speaker 03

  Yep.

• 1:07:11Speaker 01

  He's a calculated man.

• 1:07:12H. Foley?

  Yeah, I couldn't see.

• 1:07:13Speaker 01

  Some would say choreographed.

• 1:07:14H. Foley?

I couldn't see Gerby's big on away games.

• 1:07:16Speaker 03

  Yeah, no.

• 1:07:17H. Foley?

Not at all. Any magnets on the fridge at the house?

• 1:07:20Speaker 03

  A Phillies schedule.

• 1:07:22H. Foley?

Phillies schedule. That's good. That's good.

• 1:07:25Speaker 01

Ah, listen, you know, this isn't.

• 1:07:27H. Foley?

Any old time photos in your past? Like you and the family go get an old time photo?

• 1:07:31Speaker 03

  My brother and I, yeah.

• 1:07:32H. Foley?

Your brother and you? Alright. Well, you get dressed in front of the dryer, like keep the clothes in the dryer and just get dressed there?

• 1:07:38Speaker 03

  Yep.

• 1:07:39Speaker 01

You got, you got washer and dryer, obviously, and it's a house, yeah.

• 1:07:41Speaker 03

  Yep.

• 1:07:41H. Foley?

  You have a fabric softener?

• 1:07:43Speaker 03

  Definitely.

• 1:07:44H. Foley?

  What do you got?

• 1:07:44Speaker 03

  Bounce.

• 1:07:45H. Foley?

  Dryer sheets?

• 1:07:46Speaker 03

  Yes.

• 1:07:46H. Foley?

  What's the detergent?

• 1:07:48Speaker 03

Tide. Tried to go Gain, because my cousin loves Gain, couldn't do it.

• 1:07:52Speaker 01

This guy is an American. Bounce and Tide. None of that, none of that new age shit. Listen, you know, I don't, this is, I'm, what are you leaning?

• 1:08:02H. Foley?

  I mean, I think he's classy.

• 1:08:04Speaker 01

  He's not trashy.

• 1:08:05H. Foley?

There's a couple of screwball things in there.

• 1:08:08Speaker 03

I'm trashy. Yeah, aren't you trashy?

• 1:08:14H. Foley?

  The flowby's not great.

• 1:08:15Speaker 01

Flowby's not great. Uh, I, you know.

• 1:08:19H. Foley?

Man, I'm shuffling through my notes here.

• 1:08:22Speaker 01

The lip syncing competitions, I don't think the Kennedys are doing it.

• 1:08:25H. Foley?

  Very true.

• 1:08:26Speaker 01

  You know.

• 1:08:27H. Foley?

Are you reading it all? Do you have, do you have anything that you're reading?

• 1:08:29Speaker 03

Not anymore. I'm dumb anymore. I feel so stupid over the past like eight years. I feel like I.

• 1:08:34Speaker 01

He's got that whole Morpheus setup to go to bed.

• 1:08:37H. Foley?

  Yeah.

• 1:08:38Speaker 01

Have, will you, if you're at the gas station, will you use the squeegee to clean anything but the windshield of the car?

• 1:08:42Speaker 03

  No.

• 1:08:43H. Foley?

You ever sat through a timeshare pitch?

• 1:08:45Speaker 03

  No.

• 1:08:48H. Foley?

Will you stack the plates at a restaurant when you're eating?

• 1:08:51Speaker 03

  When I'm done?

• 1:08:51H. Foley?

  Yeah.

• 1:08:52Speaker 03

  Absolutely.

• 1:08:53Speaker 01

That's not great though. When was the last time you were in a hot tub?

• 1:08:55Speaker 03

  Why is that not great?

• 1:08:56H. Foley?

  That's trashy.

• 1:08:57Speaker 01

  Yeah.

• 1:08:57Speaker 03

  It's trashy to like-

• 1:08:58H. Foley?

I do it too. I do it too. I get it all set up. Everybody says it's trashy.

• 1:09:02Speaker 01

It's not, it's not, I'm not saying it's not nice and respectable.

• 1:09:05Speaker 03

  Yeah.

• 1:09:06Speaker 01

But it's like, if you go to a fine dining restaurant, you're not, you know, you're not clacking the plates.

• 1:09:11Speaker 03

If it's really fine dining, I might not.

• 1:09:15H. Foley?

Are you washing your fruit at the house?

• 1:09:18Speaker 03

Like, I just run it under the tap.

• 1:09:20H. Foley?

Okay. You like the roto chicken? No.

• 1:09:23Speaker 03

  I don't even know.

• 1:09:24H. Foley?

  Rotisserie chicken.

• 1:09:25Speaker 03

  Oh, no.

• 1:09:26H. Foley?

  Cause it's got the bones.

• 1:09:27Speaker 03

  Yeah.

• 1:09:28Speaker 05

What do you do for dessert?

• 1:09:30H. Foley?

  Hmm, I like that.

• 1:09:32Speaker 03

I have these barbells that are like protein bars that taste like candy and I just try-

• 1:09:36H. Foley?

  Yeah, I love them.

• 1:09:37Speaker 03

Yeah, or yasso, uh, like frozen yogurt.

• 1:09:40H. Foley?

  Gotcha.

• 1:09:40Speaker 01

Plain and tight. Got a tight little body on them.

• 1:09:45H. Foley?

How do you, you know, how do you feel about milk? You drink milk?

• 1:09:47Speaker 03

  Definitely.

• 1:09:48H. Foley?

  Really? You're a milkman?

• 1:09:49Speaker 03

  Lactaid.

• 1:09:50H. Foley?

  Okay.

• 1:09:51Speaker 03

Cause the milk, milk does make me fart like crazy.

• 1:09:53Speaker 01

I've never seen someone go, "Yeah, milk," and caveat with the lactaid.

• 1:09:57Speaker 03

Cause it's gotta be. Otherwise, it is just horrific.

• 1:10:00H. Foley?

You have lactaid. I don't even really know what that is.

• 1:10:02Speaker 03

  It's just, uh-

• 1:10:03H. Foley?

  Is it real milk?

• 1:10:05Speaker 03

  I think so.

• 1:10:06Speaker 01

I think it's, get, get, it's not. It was introduced as a milk alternative.

• 1:10:12Speaker 03

  Whatever it is.

• 1:10:12Speaker 01

  It ain't 2%.

• 1:10:14Speaker 05

  Lactaid is considered real milk.

• 1:10:16Speaker 01

  Considered.

• 1:10:16Speaker 03

  Yeah.

• 1:10:17Speaker 01

You gotta, that's, milk is milk.

• 1:10:19Speaker 03

  Yeah.

• 1:10:19H. Foley?

And you're doing the grocery store?

• 1:10:21Speaker 03

  Yep.

• 1:10:21H. Foley?

Do you have a weekly schedule?

• 1:10:23Speaker 03

No. I just have very specific items, so when, when they're depleted.

• 1:10:27H. Foley?

You go and load it up?

• 1:10:28Speaker 01

Give me, give me a couple of, I'm a very specific man, so I'm not, I'm not-

• 1:10:30Speaker 03

Sure, so eggs, egg whites, mozzarella, mozzarella.

• 1:10:33Speaker 01

You're buying egg white, like the, be, like the, already in the, the thing? Like you pour the egg whites?

• 1:10:38Speaker 03

Yeah, cause I put an egg in and then I pour egg whites.

• 1:10:41Speaker 01

  Now, you crack that shell.

• 1:10:42Speaker 03

  Yep.

• 1:10:43Speaker 01

Where do you put that shell? Do you put it back in the carton or in the trash or garbage?

• 1:10:46Speaker 03

  Trash.

• 1:10:46Speaker 01

  Trash.

• 1:10:47Speaker 03

  Gotta be trash. Clogged, uh-

• 1:10:48Speaker 01

  Couple of garbage-

• 1:10:49Speaker 03

  Couple sinks, yeah, with that.

• 1:10:50H. Foley?

What's the, what's the shredded mozzarella for?

• 1:10:53Speaker 03

  The eggs.

• 1:10:54H. Foley?

  Yeah?

• 1:10:54Speaker 03

  Yeah.

• 1:10:55H. Foley?

  Okay.

• 1:10:55Speaker 01

  What brand is that?

• 1:10:57Speaker 03

  Giant Brand.

• 1:10:57Speaker 01

Giant Brand shredded mods. Now, do you wash that mods? You're supposed to wash that shredded cheese.

• 1:11:02Speaker 03

  Oh, you are?

• 1:11:03H. Foley?

  No, you're not.

• 1:11:04Speaker 03

  Yeah, never. Not once.

• 1:11:05H. Foley?

What? You're supposed to wash shredded cheese?

• 1:11:07Speaker 01

Hold on, sorry. This just in? Because they put a powder on, they put a chemical on it so it doesn't stick together.

• 1:11:13Speaker 03

  Right.

• 1:11:14Speaker 01

And people say they wash that off. I don't do it.

• 1:11:18Speaker 05

It's generally not, uh, not recommended. It can lead to soggy, funky mess. That's true.

• 1:11:24Speaker 01

  Big cheese is saying that.

• 1:11:25Speaker 03

  Soggy funky what?

• 1:11:26Speaker 01

  That sounds like...

• 1:11:28Speaker 05

Clumpy mess. But, uh, people wash it to remove the anti-caking agents.

• 1:11:32Speaker 01

  Yes. Got agents on it.

• 1:11:34H. Foley?

Gerben, do you and your immediate family have any photographs of where you're all wearing the same thing? Like a picture of you guys down the shore all wearing white?

• 1:11:41Speaker 03

Unfortunately, yes. That is my sister-in-law that forced that situation.

• 1:11:45Speaker 01

  Mm-hmm.

• 1:11:46Speaker 03

Love you, Christine. And I actually do like the shirt that she got me.

• 1:11:49Speaker 01

I still wear it from time to time. It's in the cycle.

• 1:11:52Speaker 03

I was gonna wear it today because I was just watching like a lot of different ones. You had a Hawaiian one. I was like, I should wear my Hawaiian one in case he's got his on. And then I was like, nah.

• 1:12:00H. Foley?

  Alright, the kid's trash.

• 1:12:03Speaker 01

He walks in both worlds. I'll give him that for sure.

• 1:12:06H. Foley?

Ladies and gentlemen, Mr. Steve Gerben.

• 1:12:08Speaker 03

Thank you guys so much for having me.

• 1:12:09H. Foley?

100% trash. Tires is currently filming season one and two on Netflix. Do yourself a favor, check it out. Everybody's in it. It's absolutely fantastic. I can't thank you enough for having me be a part of it.

• 1:12:19Speaker 03

I can't thank you enough for doing it.

• 1:12:20H. Foley?

We love you so much, buddy. Uh, anything else you want the folks out there to know? Anything you got coming up?

• 1:12:25Speaker 03

  No.

• 1:12:27Speaker 01

See you at the, see you out on the lake.

• 1:12:28H. Foley?

That's Mr. Gerben for you right there. Kippy, what do you got for him?

• 1:12:31Speaker 01

Uh, guys, we're on the road fall and winter tour. Tickets are, uh, moving. Get them while they last because we're not adding shows in all the markets. We love yous.
