• 0:37Adam Friedland?

  Quiet on set?

• 0:38Adam Friedland?

Are we go- should I go? Okay. Guys, it's Adam. We're here at the studio, The Adam Friedland Show. We are working on some things that are pretty exciting right now. I'm not yet at liberty to divulge. I've made a lot of promises over the years and I think these are gonna be the first. It's like, I feel like a deadbeat dad to you guys, saying that I'm gonna go to your baseball game. I'm your father. I'm... Some shit is happening, okay? But in the meantime, we have four episodes that we hadn't released yet, and from the talk show. And we're gonna be starting a series called The Lost Episodes, The Lost Tapes. The, I don't know. Didn't Chappelle do- Pete Chappelle did like a-

• 1:23Adam Friedland?

  Lost Episodes.

• 1:23Adam Friedland?

  The Lost Sketches or something?

• 1:25Adam Friedland?

Yes. We call them The Lost Tapes.

• 1:28Adam Friedland?

Well, kind of like Dave Chappelle. Kind of like comedy legend Dave Chappelle. We're gonna be doing The Lost Episodes. Some are good, some are atrocious. You'll enjoy them, I think. This one's good. We had Drea DiMatteo from Sopranos, who played Adriana La Serva famously in the show. She was also in The Joey Show, the Joey Tribbiani spinoff of Friends. In the meantime, as we reorganize a lot of things around here in the office, we're installing some new things, whatever. I'm going on too long. I can do this, guys. I can do this.

• 2:06Adam Friedland?

Okay, guys, so this episode was actually recorded a couple of months before we shot the short film, and so we held off on releasing it because, I don't know, Nick said it would be confusing if it was already, I don't, it doesn't matter, okay? So this is me and Drea Di Matteo. There's something that, there's something happening in the interview. I'll let you be the judge. So, also, it is technically the first girl to be on the show, so guys, enjoy it. We'll be back next week, and with our series, The Lost Apes, The Lost Episodes. I can do this.

• 2:48Adam Friedland?

We've wanted a girl for a long time. Everyone said no, until, I can't believe it, American actress, most notably from the television show The Sopranos. Everyone, please put your hands together for Drea Di Matteo.

• 3:00Speaker 03

Girl, I'm a man. I am the first man I've guessed you've had.

• 3:06Adam Friedland?

No, you're doing the gender, don't, come on, stop it.

• 3:09Speaker 03

Ladies and gentlemen, Adam fucking Freeman.

• 3:12Adam Friedland?

  Shut up.

• 3:14Speaker 03

I'm gonna talk in my accent for you.

• 3:16Adam Friedland?

Don't do that, don't, stop it, just be yourself.

• 3:19Speaker 03

Adam, Adam, you're gonna be okay.

• 3:22Adam Friedland?

Full disclosure, while the show was coming out contemporaneously, I watched Sunday Nights with my family, and the tennis scene was a seminal moment.

• 3:32Speaker 03

You had it run to your bedroom?

• 3:33Adam Friedland?

  I got an erection.

• 3:36Adam Friedland?

I did get an erection, and my mom was sitting there, you were like, "I hope a Jewish child gets an erection."

• 3:43Speaker 03

Yes, I only dated Jewish boys back then.

• 3:45Adam Friedland?

You grew up in the city, you said 1972 you were born?

• 3:49Speaker 03

I was born in 72, I'm the oldest person in this room right now.

• 3:52Adam Friedland?

Do you study theater growing up? Your mother was a playwright?

• 3:55Speaker 03

Yeah, my mom was a playwright, so I had no choice but to be stuck in the theater watching all these... Fucking indulgent people roll around.

• 4:02Adam Friedland?

  You don't like theater?

• 4:03Speaker 03

  Feel their emotions all day.

• 4:05Adam Friedland?

Oh, seventies theater, that's nasty. They all had their dicks and pussies out, right?

• 4:09Speaker 03

What was it called? Was it the living theater?

• 4:10Adam Friedland?

  The living theater.

• 4:11Speaker 03

  The living theater.

• 4:12Adam Friedland?

Disgusting. Baby boomers should kill themselves, honestly. They're revolting people.

• 4:18Speaker 03

Yeah, my mom was an Italian and she was, you know, that was a little more conservative. It was very Italian plays. If you love The Sopranos, you would love the way my mom wrote.

• 4:27Adam Friedland?

What is Italian style? What does that mean? They were like whacking?

• 4:31Speaker 03

Lot of mafia. Her father was Joe Babes. He was a mafioso.

• 4:35Adam Friedland?

  Joe Babes? Is your grandfather?

• 4:37Speaker 03

Yeah, she was a mafia princess, my mom.

• 4:39Adam Friedland?

  Really?

• 4:40Speaker 03

  Mm-hmm.

• 4:40Adam Friedland?

And Joe Babes was like kind of a, because Babe is a little girl.

• 4:44Speaker 03

Well, they say Joe Babes because he was a womanizer, but then I looked it up in the Google and the Google says he he shot a, shot a baby by accident.

• 4:52Adam Friedland?

  Your grandfather?

• 4:54Speaker 03

How you doing? He shot a baby by accident. I was like, fuck, is this the real?

• 5:00Adam Friedland?

  Really?

• 5:02Speaker 03

He also was known for bringing heroin, bringing morphine, heroin.

• 5:06Adam Friedland?

  Oh my god.

• 5:07Speaker 03

To the United States back in those days, so he was kinda like...

• 5:09Adam Friedland?

That's what pussy was doing, to send his kid to Villanova.

• 5:13Speaker 03

But it's a big no-no. You're not allowed to do that in the mafia. They don't like when you fuck.

• 5:17Adam Friedland?

They don't like pushing age. You can say whatever the fuck you want. You're kind of a film head. I found an interview with you in twenty, two thousand and six. Where you're talking about Abel, it was when you were doing Assault and Prejudice thirteen. It seems like you wanted to be a filmmaker.

• 5:32Speaker 03

I did. Because I grew up in the theater, I absolutely hated watching all these fucking actors rolling around and acting like assholes. And I was forced to sit in the theater every night, so when I went to school, I wanted to do the anti-theater, which was film. I don't know.

• 5:50Adam Friedland?

  I think it's kinda similar.

• 5:51Speaker 03

I just knew, I was just being rebellious, but at the same time, I was like, I know I'm gonna end up in this fucking industry.

• 5:56Adam Friedland?

Why? Because it would make your mom happy?

• 5:58Speaker 03

No, I said, well, she would write me plays when I started acting and stuff.

• 6:02Adam Friedland?

  What kind of plays?

• 6:04Speaker 03

Well, she wrote something that was about our lives, actually, because it was called The Hard Transplant, and it was my twenty-fifth birthday. But, um, and she gave me a play about my relationship to her and my nanny. I was raised by my nanny.

• 6:16Adam Friedland?

  Oh, okay.

• 6:17Speaker 03

I was raised by the nanny.

• 6:19Adam Friedland?

  Was she West Indian?

• 6:20Speaker 03

  Nope, Nicaraguan.

• 6:22Adam Friedland?

  Nicaraguan.

• 6:22Speaker 03

My Nicaraguan bat. We call her Monkey.

• 6:25Adam Friedland?

She was a bat? Wait, I don't think you should say that. Why a bat?

• 6:28Speaker 03

Because she was, she was in Nicaragua, I don't know.

• 6:30Adam Friedland?

  It's a nice lady, though.

• 6:32Speaker 03

  I fucking loved her. I, I love her. I mean, she's dead.

• 6:35Adam Friedland?

  She's dead now?

• 6:35Speaker 03

  Yeah, she, we.

• 6:37Adam Friedland?

  Do you speak Espanol?

• 6:38Speaker 03

  Si, it's my first language.

• 6:41Adam Friedland?

When I was a little kid, my babysitter was from Mexico, and I was, I lived in Los Angeles, and I spoke fluent.

• 6:47Speaker 03

  Me too.

• 6:48Adam Friedland?

  Yeah, I watched Univision.

• 6:50Speaker 03

  Oh, me too.

• 6:52Speaker 03

  Sábado Gigante is the best.

• 6:54Adam Friedland?

It was great. That was when I fell in love with boobs, really, because those shows had such big boobs.

• 7:00Speaker 03

I would, I screenshot those pictures.

• 7:02Adam Friedland?

I need a motorboat them shits.

• 7:04Speaker 03

Oh, yeah. The best hits in the biz.

• 7:06Adam Friedland?

Yeah, yeah. They really do have incredible ones down there.

• 7:09Speaker 03

They're not even real, half of them.

• 7:10Adam Friedland?

  What?

• 7:13Speaker 03

But they're like the soft fake ones, the ones you just.

• 7:16Adam Friedland?

Do they have better ones now? They have squeezy's?

• 7:18Speaker 03

I mean, we just had to do a photo shoot for OnlyFans.

• 7:23Adam Friedland?

  Yeah?

• 7:24Speaker 03

And this girl had the best fake boobs I have ever felt in my life.

• 7:28Adam Friedland?

  Squeezy's? They make those now?

• 7:30Speaker 03

  Uh, they're incredible.

• 7:31Adam Friedland?

When I was eighteen, I went to a strip club.

• 7:32Speaker 03

  They call them gummies.

• 7:33Adam Friedland?

Gummies? Is that doc, they, the doctor calls that?

• 7:37Speaker 03

I don't know. All the girls with the fake boobs were talking about their fake boobs, and they were like, can I, may I?

• 7:42Adam Friedland?

  And they look great?

• 7:42Speaker 03

And they're all feeling each other's boobs, and like, Robbie, you wanna come in?

• 7:46Adam Friedland?

  You let him?

• 7:47Speaker 03

  Uh, Robbie.

• 7:48Adam Friedland?

  Did you grab the boobs?

• 7:49Speaker 03

  No. All the girls.

• 7:52Adam Friedland?

You're a good man. You didn't get to, she lied. She said, "I'll kill you, I'll cut your dick off."

• 7:58Speaker 03

I was like, "You know, you wanna see this."

• 7:59Adam Friedland?

If you touch these gummies, I'll, I'll, what?

• 8:04Adam Friedland?

  You were taking a duty?

• 8:05Adam Friedland?

It would have been my duty.

• 8:07Adam Friedland?

Oh, it would have been your duty?

• 8:08Speaker 03

Yeah, he was the sloppy, he was in the sloppy duke position.

• 8:13Adam Friedland?

When I was growing up, I grew up in Vegas, there were so many big, like, so many of the roundies, and then, as a kid, you think double D fake, best con. And when I was 18, I went to a strip club, and I touched one, and I was like, "These are, these are terr- they're so hard and scary."

• 8:28Speaker 03

Yeah, no, no, no, there's, some girls have these really incredible fake boobs. I always wanted fake boobs.

• 8:34Adam Friedland?

  You wanted them?

• 8:35Speaker 03

  I always wanted some fake.

• 8:36Adam Friedland?

  But you're beautiful.

• 8:37Speaker 03

Yeah, just to keep 'em up.

• 8:38Adam Friedland?

  Really?

• 8:38Speaker 03

These things are rolled up now, I got 'em rolled up in my bra.

• 8:41Adam Friedland?

Oh my god, you're perfect the way you are. You're amazing.

• 8:46Speaker 03

Oh, you're a good singer, you learned how to do that in Vegas?

• 8:50Adam Friedland?

  Bruno Mars.

• 8:51Speaker 03

  Oh, you're a Vegas showboy.

• 8:52Adam Friedland?

No, I'm not Vegas, I'm a song and dance man, but, I wanna get into The Sopranos, is that annoying for you?

• 8:57Speaker 03

  No.

• 8:57Adam Friedland?

  You love talking about it.

• 8:58Speaker 03

No, I'll talk about it all the time.

• 8:59Adam Friedland?

When I read that interview with you from 2006, I was like, "Oh, you know, actors can be 65 IQ, especially the guys, like, some of them are golden retrievers, right? But like, it, it, like, if someone, if David Chase was like, telling someone in The Sopranos what it's like the, and there's a meditation on the concept of family, and they're like, "Yeah, yo, whatever the fuck you're talking about," you know? But like, he's still amazing in the scene, it doesn't matter, right? But what I get a sense of when I was reading that interview with you is, you fully grasp the, the gravity of what you were taking part of, even before the pilot.

• 9:36Speaker 03

Well, I think that comes from growing up with a writer, and she's a teacher, she taught playwriting too. And I would sit through her classes a lot, I learned how to act listening to her teach. The writers, because the whole thing, and you would know this too, just be, doing what you do, it's like, if you're in a constant state of doing something all the time, then you're not gonna bore anybody. If you're just sitting there stagnant and... You know, everything kind of falls apart. So with that show, when I first read the pilot.

• 10:07Adam Friedland?

  Yeah.

• 10:07Speaker 03

I read it, I read her pieces of it over the phone, and then I sent her the script, she read it. I was like, this will never get made.

• 10:13Adam Friedland?

You were, you were the hostess at first, and then you became a-

• 10:16Speaker 03

Yeah, I wasn't even meant to-

• 10:17Adam Friedland?

And then you became, you became a regular.

• 10:20Speaker 03

  Yeah.

• 10:20Adam Friedland?

When fucking Brendan Falone was playing around with trucks.

• 10:23Speaker 03

  Brendan Falone.

• 10:25Adam Friedland?

  He's such a-

• 10:25Speaker 03

Do you know that I don't really know that much about the show?

• 10:27Adam Friedland?

  You've never seen it.

• 10:29Speaker 03

  I, I watched it-

• 10:29Adam Friedland?

  You gotta watch Sopranos, bro.

• 10:33Adam Friedland?

  You gotta watch it.

• 10:36Speaker 03

  The kids never saw it.

• 10:37Adam Friedland?

How many times have you seen it? Your kids, they're babies?

• 10:39Speaker 03

The kids that were on the show never watched it. When I had my podcast, I was interviewing them. Yeah, and they had never watched it. Jamie and AJ. Met on AJ, but now they watched it.

• 10:50Adam Friedland?

AJ hasn't fucking seen the show. I'm gonna kill.

• 10:54Speaker 03

  So funny.

• 10:55Adam Friedland?

  That is so AJ.

• 10:58Adam Friedland?

  Yeah.

• 11:00Adam Friedland?

I'm going to the puddle of mud concert, I can't watch.

• 11:04Adam Friedland?

How many times have you seen it? Just once through?

• 11:07Speaker 03

  No.

• 11:07Adam Friedland?

You watched it while it was coming out?

• 11:08Speaker 03

I was a psycho fan. I am still a psycho fan of the show. I don't even relate to having been on it. I was a- I wouldn't read the scripts when we were shooting. I mean, in the beginning I did, because I couldn't believe I was even being added to the show. But in those days, being on TV wasn't cool. I was like, there, I'm kissing my-

• 11:25Adam Friedland?

  It was the first show.

• 11:26Speaker 03

-friggin' movie career away, I'm not gonna do this. So, but when I was getting those scripts, I was like, I don't even care that I'm not gonna be doing films. I know, I keep sending them to my mom. I was like, this is amazing.

• 11:37Adam Friedland?

And your mom said, as a playwright-

• 11:39Speaker 03

  She was floored.

• 11:39Adam Friedland?

  My expert opinion.

• 11:41Speaker 03

She was floored. Plus, my family's like, steeped in the mafia. So-

• 11:44Adam Friedland?

I know, you kill babies and stuff.

• 11:46Speaker 03

  I know, it's fucked up.

• 11:47Adam Friedland?

What is the, why does the mafia have to kill a baby? How much money do you get for that?

• 11:51Speaker 03

  It was an accident.

• 11:53Adam Friedland?

Oh, there was no envelope under the baby or something?

• 11:55Speaker 03

  That baby's a fucking-

• 11:56Adam Friedland?

The baby was in the envelope.

• 11:58Speaker 03

  That baby's a threat.

• 11:59Adam Friedland?

Your story arc on that show is one of the most tragic. Was it like a Hollywood decision, or were they like, you're just, you're getting popped this week?

• 12:08Speaker 03

Oh, the, no, that was the story, that was the story.

• 12:10Adam Friedland?

  That was the story arc.

• 12:11Speaker 03

Yeah, and I was never meant to be on the show anyway, from the, from the beginning. So I was like, alright. And I was done, man. I was done crying. Back in those days, like- When I was acting, I was really invested in it.

• 12:23Adam Friedland?

  Method.

• 12:24Speaker 03

  Super method.

• 12:25Adam Friedland?

So you and Christopher were kissing for real?

• 12:27Speaker 03

We were shooting up heroin, man.

• 12:30Adam Friedland?

  Really?

• 12:30Speaker 03

  He was choking me out.

• 12:31Adam Friedland?

  No.

• 12:32Speaker 03

I had black eyes all day. It was fucked. I was done. You know what I mean? I was like, ready to move on.

• 12:36Adam Friedland?

The scene where he like, it's one of the most misogynistic scenes. There's the Junior pussy eating scene where he's like, "Who the fuck would you told?"

• 12:44Speaker 03

  The pussy, oh.

• 12:45Adam Friedland?

Yeah, they find out Junior eats pussy.

• 12:46Speaker 03

  Yeah, it's the best.

• 12:47Adam Friedland?

And like, he's part of the generation where he's like, that's like, means he's gay? And he beats up his girlfriend from Florida?

• 12:53Speaker 03

  It's so good.

• 12:54Adam Friedland?

But the scene where you and Chrissy, he's like, "Who's your most famous?" You're like, doing a couple, like boyfriend-girlfriend thing? And then you say Penn and Teller, and he's like, "You fucking whore!"

• 13:04Speaker 03

  No.

• 13:05Adam Friedland?

  These things.

• 13:08Adam Friedland?

I mean, it's a show about cavemen, right?

• 13:10Speaker 03

It's the best comedy out there.

• 13:13Adam Friedland?

  You did a sitcom afterwards?

• 13:14Speaker 03

Oh, no, didn't compare. And I didn't want to do that because I was like, it's never gonna be the same.

• 13:19Adam Friedland?

  As The Sopranos?

• 13:20Speaker 03

Yeah, it's like, it's all about that timing.

• 13:22Adam Friedland?

  I think that the-

• 13:23Speaker 03

There was no timing on Sopranos. That shit was natural.

• 13:26Adam Friedland?

I think the Joey Tribbiani spinoff of Friends was similarly poignant.

• 13:33Speaker 03

I think that watching Matt LeBlanc is one of the funniest things ever, so.

• 13:36Adam Friedland?

Is he actually Italian? LeBlanc? What is he, a hockey player?

• 13:40Speaker 03

  He's French.

• 13:41Adam Friedland?

  He's French?

• 13:42Speaker 03

  LeBlanc.

• 13:43Adam Friedland?

Our cost- our heritage, our, what is it? My heritage, our heritage is not a costume, LeBlanc. What do you think is-

• 13:51Speaker 03

  He's half Italian.

• 13:52Adam Friedland?

What do you think is more prejud- like, italo-phobic as a character? Do you think Tony Soprano, a masked murderer, mob boss, sociopath? Or Joey Tribbiani, a mentally handicapped actor?

• 14:12Speaker 03

I mean, and they weren't protesting in front of the fucking Warner Brothers or... But we got protests all day for Sopranos from the Italian anti-defamation societies. They hated it.

• 14:24Adam Friedland?

  They hated it?

• 14:25Speaker 03

  They hated it.

• 14:26Adam Friedland?

They need to shut the fuck up.

• 14:27Speaker 03

I was like, "You guys are the ones that make us look bad because you don't understand literature or art."

• 14:32Adam Friedland?

Yeah, Christopher Columbus was a monster.

• 14:34Speaker 03

  I mean...

• 14:36Adam Friedland?

Did you watch the final episode, like, with the rest of America?

• 14:39Speaker 03

I lost my shit. It was... I had a house full of people, lots of mozzarella everywhere. We were all...

• 14:45Adam Friedland?

  Oh, you got mozzarella?

• 14:46Speaker 03

You know, we did it. I did. I was a Sunday night prepper.

• 14:50Adam Friedland?

It's clear what the ending was, right?

• 14:53Speaker 03

Well, what did you think the ending was?

• 14:54Adam Friedland?

  What do you think?

• 14:55Speaker 03

  What do you think?

• 14:56Adam Friedland?

I'll let you say it, and then I'll say the funny thing that I had prepared for this.

• 15:01Speaker 03

He's like, "This bitch is fucking up my shit."

• 15:03Adam Friedland?

I thought you were on the Joey Show. I thought you understand comedy.

• 15:09Speaker 03

Okay, um, I think that if David Chase would have killed him, he... people would have been pissed. And if he didn't kill him, he would... they would have been pissed. I thought leaving it a blank canvas was a great way to...

• 15:21Adam Friedland?

  David Chase said...

• 15:22Speaker 03

Did he say it? Because I never wa... I don't... I never watched the interviews of him saying it.

• 15:25Adam Friedland?

Now I'm in a mans... Okay, the joke was, you were supposed to say, "Yeah, I think David Chase has said that it was that he gets killed." And I was gonna say, "I'm pretty sure it's that A.J. becomes the boss," which is... That was my joke. But no, there's a scene, I think the episode before, where they're talking about the moment it happens, and then they said, "Yeah, when it happens, it's just everything ends. Everything goes black."

• 15:52Adam Friedland?

This episode is sponsored by Cornbread. Swap alcohol for a guilt-free option. Dry January New Year's resolutions, healthier choices in 2025, going beyond the resolutions. Guys, in 2024, it's been reported that more people now use THC than drink daily. Just as Bob Marley predicted. So more people are rethinking their relationship with alcohol by opening their... their terror eye.

• 16:23Adam Friedland?

I can do this. I can do this. Looking to drink less, but still have fun. Guys, Cornbread's organic THC gummies offer a better way to hang out, celebrate, or relax without the hangover. So as we head into the new year and Dry January, well, it's the end of Dry January right now. This is the... Guys, I used to have a glass of wine at night, but recently I've been trying something new. It's called Cornbread. And I'll be honest, I didn't think I could actually do Dry January, but then I found Cornbread. Here's a little upgrade I made to my weeknight routine, and it's been a game changer. Guys, it's the only USDA organic THC gummy. It's got a one-to-one ratio of THC and CBD. C-A-B-D.

• 17:07Adam Friedland?

Highly salicyte. Cornbread. Guys, I can do this. This is real THC, no synthetics. 100% legal hemp, fast and free shipping. Alcohol doesn't have to be the default of anyone anymore. Whether you're doing Dry January or just looking for a healthier way to relax and have some guilt-free, good time, you've got to try Cornbread's THC gummies. Right now, our listeners of the Adam Friedland Show and the listeners of the lost episodes of the Adam Friedland Show specifically, this is a new vertical we're launching, the TAFS family of products, can save 30% on their first order. Just head to cornbreadhemp.com/tafs and use code TAFS at checkout.

• 17:51Adam Friedland?

That's cornbreadhemp.com/tafs. Use code TAFS. Cornbread hemp. This is the good life.

• 18:01Adam Friedland?

  That's exactly what happened.

• 18:03Speaker 03

Does the song come up after "Everything Goes Black", or does it...

• 18:06Adam Friedland?

Have you not seen "The Fucking Sopranos"?

• 18:07Speaker 03

  I haven't seen it.

• 18:09Adam Friedland?

No, Meadow's trying to park the car. Tony's at Holst's. He sits down, he goes through the jukebox. He's looking. You see, don't stop believing. He keeps looking, then he goes back to it.

• 18:19Speaker 03

  I don't remember.

• 18:20Adam Friedland?

Can we play it right now?

• 18:23Speaker 03

  Fucking genius.

• 18:24Adam Friedland?

  Fucking genius. That song too.

• 18:26Speaker 03

  I know.

• 18:27Adam Friedland?

That, choosing that song in particular, which is such a like a, like at a certain point, you're like, ugh, this fucking song.

• 18:33Speaker 03

But now it's, now it's a soprano song.

• 18:35Adam Friedland?

It makes me cry. I think about

• 18:38Speaker 03

the people that I love. When you were, to that song.

• 18:42Adam Friedland?

  No, I think about-

• 18:42Speaker 03

  When you were 15.

• 18:43Adam Friedland?

I think about all the people I love in that show. I love, I love every character so much.

• 18:50Speaker 03

  I know.

• 18:51Adam Friedland?

  I love you.

• 18:54Adam Friedland?

  No, I mean, uh-

• 18:55Speaker 03

  Can we hold hands?

• 18:56Adam Friedland?

  No.

• 18:57Speaker 03

  Yeah, oh, he's a germaphobe.

• 18:59Adam Friedland?

  No, I'm not a germ-

• 18:59Speaker 03

Like Paulie Walnuts? Do you know that he's a real germaphobe in real life?

• 19:04Adam Friedland?

  Didn't he die? He died.

• 19:05Speaker 03

  I know.

• 19:06Adam Friedland?

  Yeah.

• 19:06Speaker 03

  Yeah.

• 19:08Adam Friedland?

Can you tell me a little bit about Jim Gandolfini?

• 19:11Speaker 03

Oh, he was, you know, I was just talking to his wife last night. She sent me an article of me defending Jim because, you know who played Rosalie April?

• 19:20Adam Friedland?

  Uh huh.

• 19:21Speaker 03

  Sharon Angela.

• 19:21Adam Friedland?

  Ro, yeah.

• 19:22Speaker 03

Yeah, she was posting all this stuff, apparently some article came out, or a book came out where this guy just went nuts.

• 19:28Adam Friedland?

  About what?

• 19:29Speaker 03

  On James Gandolfini.

• 19:30Adam Friedland?

  Why?

• 19:30Speaker 03

  Talking about his-

• 19:31Adam Friedland?

  He's in the ground!

• 19:32Speaker 03

Talking about his demons and talking about, we used to party on the show like crazy. We were celebrating, we were like, what is happening?

• 19:39Adam Friedland?

  Really?

• 19:40Speaker 03

  This is like Beatles vibes.

• 19:41Adam Friedland?

  Really?

• 19:42Speaker 03

We were losing our minds and we had a great time.

• 19:44Adam Friedland?

  Was there romances?

• 19:44Speaker 03

  All of us were.

• 19:46Adam Friedland?

There were romances? You had a couple?

• 19:47Speaker 03

No, I don't think there were romances.

• 19:49Adam Friedland?

You didn't get with Johnny Sack?

• 19:53Adam Friedland?

Anyway, someone was talking shit about, about James-

• 19:57Speaker 03

They wrote a book, they put a book out on the 25th anniversary and it's a sensational book about Jim's demons.

• 20:04Adam Friedland?

  What did they say?

• 20:04Speaker 03

If any actor doesn't have demons, then don't go see their fucking movies because they're gonna be boring. All of us actors have demons, but this guy told a story that wasn't his story.

• 20:15Adam Friedland?

Who was the guy? He worked on the show?

• 20:16Speaker 03

He was like a locations manager.

• 20:18Adam Friedland?

What the fuck does he know?

• 20:19Speaker 03

  Everybody's furious about it.

• 20:21Adam Friedland?

So he's a location scout that said that James had demons?

• 20:25Speaker 03

  Yeah, but-

• 20:26Adam Friedland?

What, that he was getting fucked up?

• 20:28Speaker 03

He was never, he was there in the end.

• 20:29Adam Friedland?

So wait, so you guys were partying and stuff, like blowing off steam? It was like a, it was a loose set?

• 20:34Speaker 03

We all were partying, we were having, no, not on set. I mean, we would drink when we had those scenes.

• 20:38Adam Friedland?

It was like a rap party or something?

• 20:39Speaker 03

  We always ate and drank.

• 20:41Adam Friedland?

  It was real booze.

• 20:42Speaker 03

Yeah, there's that one scene with Christopher and I where we're at the funeral, we're at the Olivia's memorial-

• 20:47Adam Friedland?

  Yeah, and Chrissy's high.

• 20:49Speaker 03

  We were so stoned.

• 20:50Adam Friedland?

  You actually were high?

• 20:51Speaker 03

We were so fucking, we, it was an experiment.

• 20:53Adam Friedland?

That's great acting in that scene.

• 20:54Speaker 03

But they also painted our eyes red and we were like, we don't need this. We were so stoned that we couldn't do the scene.

• 21:01Adam Friedland?

I have a question about sex scenes in movies. I've never done one.

• 21:04Speaker 03

  Yeah.

• 21:04Adam Friedland?

But I would, you know, eventually it probably will happen in my career.

• 21:07Speaker 03

  You're definitely gonna have-

• 21:08Adam Friedland?

  With the style of-

• 21:09Speaker 03

  Big sex scenes.

• 21:10Adam Friedland?

Casting that they, that they put me out for. But like, is it true that actors imagine the audience naked when they're, when they're doing a sex scene?

• 21:19Speaker 03

Wait, say it again? The audience-

• 21:20Adam Friedland?

When an actor does a sex scene-

• 21:22Speaker 03

  Yeah.

• 21:23Adam Friedland?

Or, is it true that actors imagine the audience naked?

• 21:26Speaker 03

You mean like if it's live? Like in the theater or like on set?

• 21:30Adam Friedland?

I just thought that was a saying about acting where if, if you're doing a sex scene, you imagine that the audience is naked.

• 21:37Speaker 03

  No. That's not true. Adam.

• 21:41Adam Friedland?

Well, I didn't go to Tisch, so I don't know anything about acting, I guess.

• 21:45Speaker 03

Oh my god. How long have you been in New York for?

• 21:47Adam Friedland?

Um, about to be 10 years.

• 21:49Speaker 03

  Oh, not long.

• 21:51Adam Friedland?

  For me it's-

• 21:51Speaker 03

But then again, your life hasn't, you're not as old as me.

• 21:54Adam Friedland?

I'm getting, uh, Mayor Adam sent me a letter. I'm getting Yankee fitted at Tim's 10-year anniversary. He said that's, that's for your 10-year-

• 22:02Speaker 03

What's Kathy Hochul gonna send you?

• 22:05Adam Friedland?

  I don't know, what's her vibe?

• 22:06Speaker 03

Maybe she'll send you a vaccinated necklace and she'll ask you to be one of her disciples.

• 22:11Adam Friedland?

You're not about that, you're not about that.

• 22:13Speaker 03

No, I don't really, I don't really give a shit about either way, other people. Well, yeah, that's the only reason why I'm not about it, cuz I, who gives a fuck?

• 22:20Adam Friedland?

  Yeah, yeah.

• 22:21Speaker 03

  Why even?

• 22:21Adam Friedland?

But it, it killed opportunities for you?

• 22:23Speaker 03

I mean, it killed a lot of things.

• 22:26Adam Friedland?

What did it kill? The, the virus? Um, anyway, so what are you, you're in New York for right now?

• 22:33Speaker 03

We're promoting our, uh, streetwear clothing line, cuz I can never wear my tennis outfit again and act on television.

• 22:39Adam Friedland?

  And what is that called?

• 22:41Speaker 03

Cuz I wasn't compliant and fun. Ultra Free.

• 22:43Adam Friedland?

Ultra Free, let's, let's hear about it.

• 22:45Speaker 03

The Ultra Free's in the back of my leg, you got that? You got that? Fuck a workout, the... Just kidding.

• 22:50Adam Friedland?

So what's the idea for the, for the?

• 22:53Speaker 03

  I mean, Ultra, it's Ultra Free, the website's ultrafree.co, and it's really just, it's...

• 22:58Adam Friedland?

Let's get a little, what was the elevator pitch? You gotta like, what kind of woman is wearing the Ultra, uh, this?

• 23:05Speaker 03

It's men and women, and it's like a streetwear line, it, it's just about...

• 23:08Adam Friedland?

So it's like, streetwear meets, uh, January 6th or something, right?

• 23:11Speaker 03

A hundred percent. Yeah, it's not really about po- I mean, it's, it's got political vibes cuz it was born out of it, but it's not really about that.

• 23:18Adam Friedland?

It was born out of politics.

• 23:19Speaker 03

It was born out of it, because freedom's not cool anymore.

• 23:23Adam Friedland?

I think that you shouldn't, you shouldn't allow the, you shouldn't allow these...

• 23:28Speaker 03

  I don't have a choice, Adam. I didn't allow anybody.

• 23:31Adam Friedland?

I'll cast you, you can work it.

• 23:32Speaker 03

  These people are crazy.

• 23:33Adam Friedland?

So what if I cast you as my, as my wife on the show?

• 23:36Speaker 03

Can we please do that? That would be so much fun, I'm your older wife. I take care of you.

• 23:43Adam Friedland?

So in this show, like, do we have kids, or like, what's the?

• 23:46Speaker 03

  We could have kids.

• 23:47Adam Friedland?

  What's the conflict, though?

• 23:49Speaker 03

Maybe the whole show is us trying to get the old lady pregnant.

• 23:53Adam Friedland?

That can't be, wait, so it's porn? Are we going to like fertility? That can't be the only

• 23:59Speaker 03

Listen, we'll do the show on my OnlyFans.

• 24:02Adam Friedland?

  Really?

• 24:03Speaker 03

  I'm just kidding.

• 24:03Adam Friedland?

What, so you've moved on to OnlyFans?

• 24:06Speaker 03

  That's it, man.

• 24:07Adam Friedland?

I've never, I have to say, I've never seen it before.

• 24:10Speaker 03

  OnlyFans?

• 24:10Adam Friedland?

  Yeah.

• 24:11Speaker 03

Neither did I. I never saw it until I did it.

• 24:14Adam Friedland?

Are people, are people gross to you? People should respect you.

• 24:18Speaker 03

  No, they are respectful.

• 24:20Adam Friedland?

  Good.

• 24:20Speaker 03

  Yeah, it's a, it's a fan page.

• 24:21Adam Friedland?

You tell me if anyone is out of line.

• 24:23Speaker 03

No, they're not out of line.

• 24:24Adam Friedland?

  It would make me insane.

• 24:25Speaker 03

There's a few of them that are out of line.

• 24:26Adam Friedland?

Actually, when I was researching for this, I found a YouTube video where he's like, "Reviewing Drea de Macho's OnlyFans page."

• 24:33Speaker 03

  Oh, are you fucking kidding?

• 24:34Adam Friedland?

And I was like, this, I want to kill him. I literally want to kill him. I got, I have a surprise for you.

• 24:40Speaker 03

  You do?

• 24:40Adam Friedland?

Yeah, can I get it, can I get it up?

• 24:42Speaker 03

  Can you?

• 24:43Adam Friedland?

  Yeah, he's bringing it.

• 24:44Speaker 03

What is, can you get it up? What the fuck are you talking about, Ovi?

• 24:48Adam Friedland?

Here's a, you close your eyes?

• 24:50Speaker 03

  Yes.

• 24:52Adam Friedland?

  Okay, promise you're closing.

• 24:53Speaker 03

  I promise.

• 24:55Adam Friedland?

  Yeah.

• 24:56Speaker 03

Are you gonna put something in my mouth?

• 24:58Adam Friedland?

No, no, he fucked up. No, no, I'm not gonna, come on.

• 25:00Speaker 03

  He fucked up.

• 25:01Adam Friedland?

He fucked up, just so keep them close.

• 25:02Speaker 03

I'll just be asleep for a little bit. It's cool.

• 25:05Adam Friedland?

You know, this guy's from Jersey over here.

• 25:06Speaker 03

Wait, what if they have me?

• 25:08Adam Friedland?

  He's an Itralian from Jersey.

• 25:10Speaker 03

  He might need to blindfold.

• 25:12Adam Friedland?

  Where is it?

• 25:14Adam Friedland?

  No, I don't. Under here?

• 25:17Adam Friedland?

No, it doesn't work unless I have a

• 25:21Speaker 03

I gotta open my eyes, I'll just

• 25:23Adam Friedland?

I put it in the back. Oh, no, no, I have it.

• 25:27Speaker 03

  Oh my God.

• 25:29Adam Friedland?

All right, you open your eyes.

• 25:30Speaker 03

Did you just put something in your mouth?

• 25:31Adam Friedland?

No, you can open your eyes.

• 25:34Speaker 03

Oh my God, you look like Christopher.

• 25:36Adam Friedland?

  Yeah, I do.

• 25:37Speaker 03

Oh my God, is it true?

• 25:39Adam Friedland?

  You recognize this? Yeah, yeah.

• 25:41Speaker 03

That you've made number two in your pants?

• 25:43Adam Friedland?

  I, oh yeah.

• 25:45Speaker 03

  Is it true?

• 25:46Adam Friedland?

During the mock execution, he pooped his pants. And the, and the Russians said, "Ich Pupia."

• 25:53Speaker 03

Wait a second, you look like fucking Michael. He does. Come on, what the fu-

• 25:58Adam Friedland?

  No.

• 25:59Speaker 03

Your nose isn't big enough, and you're cute.

• 26:01Adam Friedland?

  I know, he's got a huge one.

• 26:03Speaker 03

  You're cute.

• 26:03Adam Friedland?

That's kind of where cousins, the Jews and the Italians.

• 26:05Speaker 03

  Yeah.

• 26:06Adam Friedland?

  We're like

• 26:06Speaker 03

  I'm blocking your

• 26:07Adam Friedland?

  We're melodramatic, we're annoying.

• 26:10Speaker 03

The Jews and the Italians are the same.

• 26:12Adam Friedland?

You know what they say? Tony says in the show, "Jews with better food."

• 26:16Speaker 03

  Yes, it's true.

• 26:17Adam Friedland?

So I do look like him?

• 26:19Speaker 03

Yeah, you do. You make out?

• 26:21Adam Friedland?

  No.

• 26:26Speaker 03

Is it true? You made number two in your pants?

• 26:30Adam Friedland?

Ladies and gentlemen, Tranty Matteo. What a day. And today was my bar mitzvah.

• 26:37Speaker 03

  It's your bar mitzvah.

• 26:38Adam Friedland?

  Today I became a man.

• 26:43Adam Friedland?

Thank you so much. That was so fun.

• 26:44Speaker 03

I'm sweating my fucking balls off.
