• 0:19Mary Beth Barone?

Hey, can you come pick me up? Yeah, what's wrong? Nothing. Are you sure? Yeah, no, I just need a ride. Ride, ride. Oh, my God. So what? I just want to have fun. Start your engines. Take care.

• 0:30Benito Skinner?

  I'm Benito Skinner.

• 0:31Mary Beth Barone?

  I'm Mary Beth Brown.

• 0:33Benito Skinner?

  And this?

• 0:33Mary Beth Barone?

  Is?

• 0:34Benito Skinner?

  Ride.

• 0:38Benito Skinner?

I love college. I love drinking. And I love women. I would sing that. Do you understand?

• 0:47Mary Beth Barone?

But do you remember the follow up to I Love College, which was I Hate College?

• 0:50Benito Skinner?

  Who made that?

• 0:51Mary Beth Barone?

I hate college, but love all the parties. But I'm a man of empty bottles of.

• 0:56Benito Skinner?

Oh, bars. Shit, it reeks in here.

• 0:57Mary Beth Barone?

Wait, was that not Sammy Adams?

• 0:59Benito Skinner?

That might have been Sammy Adams.

• 1:00Mary Beth Barone?

  There was an Asher Roth.

• 1:01Benito Skinner?

Did you hook up with Sammy Adams?

• 1:02Mary Beth Barone?

No, I just like had such a crush on him. And then I posted about it a couple of years ago and it like exploded. It was like such a moment and then he followed me and then he came to one of my shows with his fiance. So it was a fun full circle moment.

• 1:13Benito Skinner?

We got to meet the other woman.

• 1:14Mary Beth Barone?

And someone, yes, I did. And someone DM me being like, he came to a college party once after performing and he was like so nice and respectful and didn't like try to hook up with anyone.

• 1:22Benito Skinner?

  Fashion darling Sammy Adams.

• 1:23Mary Beth Barone?

Chivalry's not dead. But there was, I remember an Asher Roth version and then a Sammy Adams version. But one of them's like not available on Spotify and I don't like that.

• 1:32Benito Skinner?

Asher Roth has to be. Can we check this? Just kidding, no facts here.

• 1:36Mary Beth Barone?

Just kidding, we don't do fact checking. So we are here at the overcompensating house at Coachella. We're dating the pod.

• 1:41Benito Skinner?

We're literally dating the pod for the second time ever. It's kind of shocking. We are at Coachella and can I just say to everyone listening and this time watching, Mary Beth at Coachella. Wow, you had so many zingers. You were on one. And it's my new era, which I have to tell everyone about. The morning after a dinner or anything super casual with Terry, I go, you were on fire last night.

• 2:02Mary Beth Barone?

Well, needless to say, you can find inspiration anywhere.

• 2:05Benito Skinner?

  Totally.

• 2:05Mary Beth Barone?

And so I found walking around and just sort of viewing the people that were there. By the way, Coachella, not a body positive space. I didn't know that that many people had flat stomachs, so I had to just sit with that for a while.

• 2:17Benito Skinner?

  Of course.

• 2:18Mary Beth Barone?

And then I would say also, so my big question walking out of the festival was like, where do these people live during the year?

• 2:23Benito Skinner?

But you said that to me after I saw, like, I saw two boo hoo girls.

• 2:27Mary Beth Barone?

Sheen. Drop the sheen and nobody gets hurt.

• 2:30Benito Skinner?

  Drop the sheen.

• 2:31Mary Beth Barone?

  Now.

• 2:32Benito Skinner?

And also, I never knew you could wear that many belts.

• 2:35Mary Beth Barone?

It was a huge year for belts.

• 2:36Benito Skinner?

  Up to six belts.

• 2:38Mary Beth Barone?

I also saw some girls with Dior bags and I, I thought, I don't think he had that in mind if he made the bags.

• 2:43Benito Skinner?

You turned to me and you said, I don't think Aliana wanted that. You said that to me.

• 2:46Mary Beth Barone?

I just don't think he did.

• 2:47Benito Skinner?

  He probably didn't.

• 2:48Mary Beth Barone?

It's important to like, consider that when you're putting an outfit together.

• 2:50Benito Skinner?

  And I agree.

• 2:51Mary Beth Barone?

I saw a lot of underboob and a lot of tushies. And I feel like for perverts, Coachella is sort of like the Super Bowl.

• 2:57Benito Skinner?

What was so incredible, I was walking by these two gay men, the bears, if you will.

• 3:02Mary Beth Barone?

And I will, and I always will.

• 3:04Benito Skinner?

And I know you would. They were just wearing fanny packs over their dicks. And then their shirt said Brat Chella. And then one just said slut in the brat font. And I just thought like, that's incredible. But this was like a crop top on them. Or no, it was just the hats. But their full asses were out. And I just thought if my full ass was out at Coachella.

• 3:21Mary Beth Barone?

  But with chop chaps.

• 3:23Benito Skinner?

See, here's the thing. There was no line underneath it. And this is where I'm like, gays and innovation.

• 3:27Mary Beth Barone?

  Right.

• 3:27Benito Skinner?

  Gays and a TV show.

• 3:28Mary Beth Barone?

Gays can have TV shows. They can go to Coachella. They could really do a lot of the things that any other citizen could do.

• 3:33Benito Skinner?

  Exactly.

• 3:33Mary Beth Barone?

Which is really cool. For now.

• 3:35Benito Skinner?

  Except vote.

• 3:36Mary Beth Barone?

  Vote, of course.

• 3:38Benito Skinner?

  Chupacut of dust.

• 3:38Mary Beth Barone?

Chupacut of dust. Do you want to talk about it?

• 3:41Benito Skinner?

  I met Lord.

• 3:42Mary Beth Barone?

And thank you guys so much for tuning in for the

• 3:44Benito Skinner?

That was it. Thank you so much. This has been amazing. I love her. That's Ella to me. That's Ella.

• 3:49Mary Beth Barone?

You met Ella, which was huge. And I do want to say the format of this episode, we're going to answer some questions we got from Barone's and then we're going to bring in the cast one by one and they're going to tell us what they ride for. So that's pretty fun.

• 3:59Benito Skinner?

  They're nervous.

• 4:00Mary Beth Barone?

They're really nervous. They asked us, is it better to be hyper-specific? Is it better to be broad? I said, just don't try to be funny. Just bring what you ride for and it will naturally be funny.

• 4:08Benito Skinner?

  Exactly.

• 4:08Mary Beth Barone?

We have a very funny cast.

• 4:09Benito Skinner?

Oh, we have the best cast in the world. You're gonna love them so much. It feels like, you know what we are today?

• 4:19Mary Beth Barone?

See, I was thinking it's like a Regis and Kathie Lee sort of situation.

• 4:22Benito Skinner?

Very Regis and Kathie Lee. I'm Kathie Lee.

• 4:23Mary Beth Barone?

  Kelly Ripa and Mark Consuelos.

• 4:25Benito Skinner?

  I'm Kelly Ripa.

• 4:26Mary Beth Barone?

  And you're Kelly Ripa.

• 4:27Benito Skinner?

I saw Mark Consuelos totally naked this week in Stuart Weitzman sneakers. Just keep going. Let that live where it's, yeah.

• 4:34Mary Beth Barone?

So, and I'm not adding, I'm amplifying. In that situation, which you know, anytime anyone says something, you have a choice. You could do one of two things. You can, you can add to it or you can amplify, which is a huge theme of the season.

• 4:44Benito Skinner?

  Yeah.

• 4:44Mary Beth Barone?

We also want to clear Terry's name. So we actually don't know who's running the overcompensating account, but I saw them repost a photo of you and Charlie and it said, actually never going to recover from this. And I love that sentiment, but I'm, I don't want any of the viewers at home to think Terry wrote that.

• 4:59Benito Skinner?

If that Terry's in bed doing that, I'm ob-

• 5:02Mary Beth Barone?

  Next to you.

• 5:02Benito Skinner?

He can never recover from a photo of me and Charlie together.

• 5:05Mary Beth Barone?

You and Charlie, who he sees and talks to every day.

• 5:06Benito Skinner?

Every single day of his life.

• 5:08Mary Beth Barone?

So that's a good agenda item. Also on our list for pod opening, you had written nut butters, which I don't think we want to wait for season three.

• 5:15Benito Skinner?

I could never wait for season three. Here's the thing. Well, I was gonna, I was gonna ride for nut butters. Terry took me to a farmer's market, but it was like right by the Chinese theater and everyone was acting like it was nice. And I'm saying like, I love everyone who was there. I just think we could maybe find a better location. Like we were in Hollywood proper.

• 5:33Mary Beth Barone?

Farmers shouldn't be at, at Chinese theater.

• 5:35Benito Skinner?

I shouldn't even be near the Hollywood Walk of Fame.

• 5:37Mary Beth Barone?

  No.

• 5:37Benito Skinner?

  Can I just say, ever?

• 5:38Mary Beth Barone?

  No.

• 5:39Benito Skinner?

But we're at this farmer's market and I go to, I go to this nut butter tent and I'm finding that I love all of them. I love almond. I bought an almond butter that has cacao, a little, and espresso beans in it. I'm a chef, so I cut open a date and I put it in. And I ate that. It was so good.

• 6:00Mary Beth Barone?

  It's a perfect dessert. Nature's candy.

• 6:02Benito Skinner?

But I love nut butter. And on set, set, just a little set fact, peanut butter was huge for me. But then we were in a house at one point when we shot the seventh episode. And their son was like deadly allergic to peanut butter.

• 6:15Mary Beth Barone?

  Okay.

• 6:15Benito Skinner?

So we had to have the sunflower butter, but I really loved it.

• 6:19Mary Beth Barone?

I like sunflower, it's sunflower seed butter, right?

• 6:21Benito Skinner?

Well, yeah, that's, that's, yeah, I can't say nut butter.

• 6:23Mary Beth Barone?

Yeah, I know. Well, you can, you can say it three times and you've already said it three times. Amazon said you have a limit.

• 6:28Benito Skinner?

But I love it. I just, oh, so I'm glad you, you caught that.

• 6:31Mary Beth Barone?

Yeah, well, because we have two notes apps, things that we share. One is called opening and one is what we ride for, and they are really different. So when something ends up in the opening doc, I'm like, well, that's, that's to be brought up in the intro.

• 6:42Benito Skinner?

I've never once written in the ride one. I don't know if I have access.

• 6:45Mary Beth Barone?

  I put yours in there.

• 6:46Benito Skinner?

Yeah, I tell you what it is.

• 6:47Mary Beth Barone?

You have access to it, but you'll usually text me and then I know it's going to get lost. So I'm just like, I'm just going to put it on the list.

• 6:51Benito Skinner?

God, there was something else you said today that, oh, oh my God. Oh my God.

• 6:55Mary Beth Barone?

We can't talk about that on here.

• 6:58Benito Skinner?

I'm sorry. I think it's the best thing that's ever happened. Sorry. No, we just, we saw someone yesterday who was in a denim romper. And Mary Beth, I said this morning, I think it's the funniest thing I've ever seen in my life.

• 7:12Mary Beth Barone?

I'm adding it to my hour, so I can't, I can't spoil it.

• 7:15Benito Skinner?

Can you just get it on camera so we have it just in case?

• 7:18Mary Beth Barone?

  Fine.

• 7:18Benito Skinner?

Your hour, you'll think of 10 more, more brilliant things.

• 7:21Mary Beth Barone?

Okay, this is my impression of a pussy in a denim romper and we'll probably have to bleep that.

• 7:28Benito Skinner?

  Yeah.

• 7:31Mary Beth Barone?

  Let me out.

• 7:34Mary Beth Barone?

  I can't breathe.

• 7:37Benito Skinner?

And then I told you, seeing, seeing that and the rub that was probably happening, sorry to say rub.

• 7:43Mary Beth Barone?

  I know. That was scary.

• 7:45Benito Skinner?

  That was so scary.

• 7:46Mary Beth Barone?

Because it's physical comedy, which I don't usually do.

• 7:48Benito Skinner?

I know, which is shocking. Your next hour will be all physical comedy.

• 7:51Mary Beth Barone?

It's all just me sort of jumping around.

• 7:52Benito Skinner?

But it reminded me of, you know, and I know everyone will know this, and I, I can't wait to say it to a silent room that can't talk while we're filming something. But you know, when you've just been on your feet all day and you've been wearing underwear and your taint turns into a rope? It's very that.

• 8:05Mary Beth Barone?

  It's very rope.

• 8:06Benito Skinner?

All of a sudden you're like, it's raw.

• 8:08Mary Beth Barone?

  Yeah, it's rubbed.

• 8:10Benito Skinner?

  It's G star raw.

• 8:11Mary Beth Barone?

It's G star raw. So that is another example. Let me out.

• 8:16Benito Skinner?

  I can't breathe.

• 8:19Mary Beth Barone?

And I feel for, I feel for it in that moment because it's unnatural to have denim there. I really feel that.

• 8:24Benito Skinner?

I totally agree. I don't think denim's natural. Someone recently said they hate denim. I think it was Millie Bobby Brown.

• 8:29Mary Beth Barone?

I, she's had a lot of really good quotes lately.

• 8:31Benito Skinner?

She would love the pod. She'd love the show.

• 8:33Mary Beth Barone?

Yeah, and I love her. And she did a what's in my bag and she carries a microchip scanner. So if she sees stray dogs, she'll see if it's chipped and then she can get it to their owner. Isn't that insane?

• 8:42Benito Skinner?

  Whoa.

• 8:43Mary Beth Barone?

She's like a real like, like salt of the earth.

• 8:45Benito Skinner?

She has like a second job.

• 8:46Mary Beth Barone?

Yeah, pretty much. And she has a lot of dogs.

• 8:49Benito Skinner?

I heard, everyone's always like Millie Bobby Brown's farm in Atlanta.

• 8:52Mary Beth Barone?

  Yeah.

• 8:53Benito Skinner?

And I'm like, yeah, that sounds amazing.

• 8:54Mary Beth Barone?

  I'm happy for her.

• 8:55Benito Skinner?

Oh, did I tell you about horse therapy?

• 8:57Mary Beth Barone?

  No.

• 8:57Benito Skinner?

I'm glad I could say this. So I recently did a photo shoot, just more press for this show. I feel really, I'm lucky.

• 9:03Mary Beth Barone?

  Enjoy these press opportunities.

• 9:04Benito Skinner?

  While you can.

• 9:05Mary Beth Barone?

  Yeah.

• 9:05Benito Skinner?

Yeah, because it's not going to translate to long form. I am enjoying these press opportunities and I was on the shoot and there was a horse and her name was Daisy.

• 9:14Mary Beth Barone?

  No.

• 9:15Benito Skinner?

And I literally, I've melted my own brain with this pod. You've ruined, like this has ruined our lives. No, this has ruined my life.

• 9:21Mary Beth Barone?

  We.

• 9:21Benito Skinner?

We have ruined our lives. We kind of have.

• 9:24Mary Beth Barone?

  Yeah.

• 9:25Benito Skinner?

And the horse comes over and they go, her name's Daisy. And I almost out loud said, there are easier ways to tell me you listened to Ryan.

• 9:30Mary Beth Barone?

  To the horse wrangler?

• 9:31Benito Skinner?

  Yeah.

• 9:31Mary Beth Barone?

Yeah. And they go, what, what? They go to you, what did you say?

• 9:35Benito Skinner?

  What?

• 9:35Mary Beth Barone?

And you're like, oh, sorry. And, and we should probably mention that lately. I've been so tempted to text you.

• 9:40Benito Skinner?

  I know.

• 9:41Mary Beth Barone?

Being like, how's your morning blank?

• 9:42Benito Skinner?

  I know.

• 9:43Mary Beth Barone?

  And it'd be the Estler. But I can't, I don't feel comfortable.

• 9:46Benito Skinner?

So then they bring out this horse and I get to pose with a horse. Felt very Jackie Kennedy Onassis.

• 9:51Mary Beth Barone?

  Totally.

• 9:51Benito Skinner?

  Don't you agree?

• 9:52Mary Beth Barone?

  Yeah.

• 9:52Benito Skinner?

Say her name back to me.

• 9:53Mary Beth Barone?

  Jackie Kennedy Onassis.

• 9:55Benito Skinner?

Exactly. You should have been Carolyn Basset, Ryan Murphy.

• 9:58Mary Beth Barone?

  I can't say anything.

• 9:59Benito Skinner?

I know you can't say anything, but I'll say it. So here's the thing. All of a sudden I'm petting this horse Daisy. And I'm looking into its eyes and I'm like. I've found true nirvana. Like I'm in, I'm completely peaceful. And everyone there was like, whoa, so good with this horse. I just, I'm like petting a horse took me to a place that I couldn't, I, I can't wait to ride four horses.

• 10:22Mary Beth Barone?

Where was Terry when all this was happening? I mean, you haven't even brought him up once and I brought him up.

• 10:26Benito Skinner?

As if he wasn't right next to me.

• 10:27Mary Beth Barone?

  I brought him up.

• 10:28Benito Skinner?

  As if he wasn't.

• 10:29Mary Beth Barone?

  And you didn't.

• 10:29Benito Skinner?

  Oh my God.

• 10:30Mary Beth Barone?

Well, a TV show comes out and you're just forgetting the little people.

• 10:33Benito Skinner?

Exactly. He's like literally in the other room watching the feed. But yeah, no, petting this horse, I like saw humanity.

• 10:39Mary Beth Barone?

  That's so cool.

• 10:39Benito Skinner?

Yeah, this horse was so, Daisy was just a total doll. And I was like, I want to ride her bareback. And I think she'd let me.

• 10:46Mary Beth Barone?

I think you sent me one of the images too, and it's really good.

• 10:48Benito Skinner?

I can't wait for you to see it.

• 10:49Mary Beth Barone?

  Oh my God.

• 10:50Benito Skinner?

  I love you so much.

• 10:51Mary Beth Barone?

  I love you too.

• 10:52Benito Skinner?

Wait, you play my sister and yes, we scrap in the show, but like, there's so much love there.

• 10:55Mary Beth Barone?

  Totally.

• 10:56Benito Skinner?

Should we talk about, when did I talk about this project with you?

• 11:00Mary Beth Barone?

So long ago. Like, like when you were working on the pilot.

• 11:03Benito Skinner?

Which was like 2018 when we met.

• 11:04Mary Beth Barone?

Yeah, it's obviously been like, it's evolved in so many ways since then. But I just remember you being like, oh, like, I think you should play my sister. Also, we used to help each other with self tapes. I actually have a selfie of us from our very first time we did self tapes together.

• 11:16Benito Skinner?

  I know.

• 11:16Mary Beth Barone?

And I'm definitely going to post it in a dump because we look so stinking cute.

• 11:19Benito Skinner?

  Yeah.

• 11:19Mary Beth Barone?

But it's just crazy because, and I said this too, this is like one of my talking points with the press is that like, it's so hard to find people with integrity in this business. And I just feel like you, like you said, like, oh, I want you to play my sister. And I was like, you know, people say things all the time.

• 11:31Benito Skinner?

I think that's just like how my brain works. I'm just like, no, it's this. And the cast today is literally like exactly, I mean, this is literally, it's my dream cast. Like I just kind of am like, that's the person, that's exactly like, they've surprised me in the roles. They've absolutely nailed it. I just, I, I don't know. I'm just like, duh. And I knew, and I honestly can say that it translates, but it's like, I knew that I wanted it to feel like we have history.

• 11:54Mary Beth Barone?

  Yeah.

• 11:54Benito Skinner?

But that, and that there is love there. But if we're going to fight the whole time, I'm like, you need to feel also that I do love you.

• 12:00Mary Beth Barone?

That we come from the same womb.

• 12:01Benito Skinner?

Exactly. And that you've seen my butthole.

• 12:03Mary Beth Barone?

  And I have.

• 12:04Benito Skinner?

  Cheers.

• 12:04Mary Beth Barone?

  Cheers.

• 12:05Benito Skinner?

So should we get into questions?

• 12:06Mary Beth Barone?

I think we should get into questions.

• 12:08Benito Skinner?

  What are Barones asked?

• 12:09Mary Beth Barone?

Such interesting questions, not the stuff you ever think you're gonna get.

• 12:12Benito Skinner?

  Of course.

• 12:13Mary Beth Barone?

So it says, "Hi fearless leaders Taika and Fyta, who was usually first on the call sheet for overcompensating?" And this is coming from Meg.

• 12:21Benito Skinner?

  Me, next question.

• 12:22Mary Beth Barone?

Yeah, so it's an easy one. So the numbers on the call sheet actually don't change through the whole production.

• 12:27Benito Skinner?

  They stay.

• 12:27Mary Beth Barone?

So even if you weren't in a scene that day, you would still be number one.

• 12:30Benito Skinner?

Thank you so much. That means the world.

• 12:32Mary Beth Barone?

It's so cool. So what kind of laptops are characters using? Will there be Apple logos or will it be these pear books and they included a photo of Icarly?

• 12:41Benito Skinner?

Pear books? And you know what? I think pears were also in, um, oh.

• 12:47Benito Skinner?

Was Court singing that? We're bringing him in.

• 12:49Mary Beth Barone?

  Saying it earlier.

• 12:50Benito Skinner?

  Oh.

• 12:53Benito Skinner?

Okay, so Zoe101, that's what that's from. "We used Apple and I don't know what the legalities are in that."

• 12:59Mary Beth Barone?

Well, you're deep in a lawsuit.

• 13:01Benito Skinner?

  Well, of course.

• 13:01Mary Beth Barone?

They don't like gay characters using their products.

• 13:03Benito Skinner?

  No, Tim Cook.

• 13:05Mary Beth Barone?

  Yeah.

• 13:05Benito Skinner?

He goes, "I just don't see it."

• 13:06Mary Beth Barone?

I don't think it makes sense.

• 13:08Benito Skinner?

I don't get it. You know, I think everyone, everyone in Hollywood, it's one of those Hollywood things, always says that villains aren't allowed to use iPhones.

• 13:16Mary Beth Barone?

  Only on Apple shows.

• 13:17Benito Skinner?

  Oh, that's only on Apple.

• 13:17Mary Beth Barone?

  Only on Apple shows.

• 13:18Benito Skinner?

So I don't know. I mean, I, you know, we use MacBooks. You're gonna see the Apple.

• 13:21Mary Beth Barone?

  And iPhones.

• 13:22Benito Skinner?

  Exactly.

• 13:23Mary Beth Barone?

  Very cool.

• 13:23Benito Skinner?

But you won't know which, like, year, unless you're really, unless you're, you know, an Apple head.

• 13:27Mary Beth Barone?

  Totally.

• 13:28Benito Skinner?

  Yeah.

• 13:28Mary Beth Barone?

Next question, "What is the ideal snack and drink combo for the best viewing experience? Please answer as yourselves, but also as each of your characters."

• 13:37Benito Skinner?

  Whoa.

• 13:37Mary Beth Barone?

So I think Grace would do baby carrots and hummus. And what's crazy is that same. Hey, it's called writing a role for your past date. And water.

• 13:45Benito Skinner?

She still auditioned like four times, though. Don't get into it. She's not a nepo friend.

• 13:48Mary Beth Barone?

  Four auditions.

• 13:49Benito Skinner?

Someone, you know what I got called this week?

• 13:51Mary Beth Barone?

  What?

• 13:52Benito Skinner?

They were like, I said that Charlie joined the project after I talked to her about the pilot and they're like, "Yeah, and his boyfriend works for her." Like, I'm sure that helped. And just to be clear, that happened after.

• 14:02Mary Beth Barone?

  Yeah.

• 14:03Benito Skinner?

  I'm like, they met.

• 14:04Mary Beth Barone?

  Get your facts.

• 14:05Benito Skinner?

They met after. You guys are so hateful.

• 14:07Mary Beth Barone?

It's like in Hitch when he said, you need to get your facts right.

• 14:10Benito Skinner?

Exactly. Okay, here's my thing. I, I think me, what I would have is obviously popcorn. Little kettle, maybe a big tin. Oh, my God, a big tin. We should sell those.

• 14:19Mary Beth Barone?

  Whoa, three flavors.

• 14:20Benito Skinner?

Tell they 24. So I'm thinking like, maybe some, something from Popcornopolis, just so I could say that word.

• 14:25Mary Beth Barone?

  Totally.

• 14:26Benito Skinner?

And then Coke Zero. Oh, a crispy Coke Zero. And you know what I've been doing lately?

• 14:30Mary Beth Barone?

  What?

• 14:31Benito Skinner?

If people come over, I'm one of the worst hosts you'll ever find. I don't know how to make drinks.

• 14:35Mary Beth Barone?

But that depends on the type of guest you are, because I like to go into the home and I don't want anyone to apologize for it being messy. I want to be able to get my own drinks and open the snack cabinet and help myself.

• 14:44Benito Skinner?

  Yeah.

• 14:44Mary Beth Barone?

Because some people don't need to be like waited upon. Some people do, but I'm not that type of guest.

• 14:49Benito Skinner?

And I'm, I'm someone who like, it'll be completely silent in the room and someone's like, should we play music? And I'm like, I thought we were.

• 14:54Mary Beth Barone?

  Yeah, weirdly.

• 14:55Benito Skinner?

I thought the sound of the earth was the music. I thought the ambient sound of life was enough.

• 15:00Mary Beth Barone?

  At most.

• 15:01Benito Skinner?

But yeah, Coke Zero. And then, no, I've been, I've been postmating, postmating?

• 15:05Mary Beth Barone?

  Postmate.

• 15:06Benito Skinner?

Postmating. Or actually, for this case, I've been door dashing. Diet Cokes from McDonald's. Four Diet Cokes, just to, you know, how many people are coming over? And then every single time people go, oh, my God, crispy, delicious, iced.

• 15:20Mary Beth Barone?

  That's really innovative.

• 15:21Benito Skinner?

So I think that would be amazing. And I think you're gonna binge the whole thing. So, you know, a little caffeine.

• 15:26Mary Beth Barone?

So that's the next question. Should I watch the entire season on May 15th and soak it all in as I go? Or should I space the episodes out to make the joy last longer?

• 15:33Benito Skinner?

Well, the joy will always be there. And you know what? I'm gonna say it. I think it's a fun rewatch even. I've seen it about 45 times.

• 15:39Mary Beth Barone?

It's not gonna be fun to rewatch for you, but.

• 15:41Benito Skinner?

Here's the thing. I thought that. And then we watched the pilot yesterday with some friends. And I'm like, I love this fucking show. I'm so proud of it. So I would say, I don't know, you know what? If you have the will to extend it, I guess, but I, I don't think you're gonna.

• 15:56Mary Beth Barone?

I don't think people will be able to.

• 15:57Benito Skinner?

I don't think you're gonna, because I love, you know what? I was raised on the OC and Gossip Girl. We love cliffhangers in this. I want you to rip through it. Cause it's like, you can't end an episode unless there's like a mic drop or like a big.

• 16:06Mary Beth Barone?

But never skip the previously on, because it, we all got to take turns doing previously on overcompensating.

• 16:11Benito Skinner?

Which feels so previously on, the OC, Melinda Clark. So it just, yeah, it's like all my dreams came true. And there's a special guest, if you catch it, one of the special guests did a previously on.

• 16:22Mary Beth Barone?

  Also.

• 16:23Benito Skinner?

  It's beautiful.

• 16:24Mary Beth Barone?

I told people this, I can't remember who I was talking to, but watch it with subtitles if you watch it again, because there's so many jokes that are sort of like, you might blink and you might miss it, but you'll see it in the subtitles, especially in episode seven.

• 16:37Benito Skinner?

  Oh, yeah.

• 16:37Mary Beth Barone?

And that's maybe one of my favorite jokes the whole season. There's actually a few in that, in that CNN.

• 16:41Benito Skinner?

I think you can say the joke.

• 16:42Mary Beth Barone?

  No, I can't. No, I can't. And I don't want to.

• 16:44Benito Skinner?

  It's the.

• 16:45Mary Beth Barone?

But also, what would you do?

• 16:48Benito Skinner?

  Oh, I'd fuck.

• 16:48Mary Beth Barone?

  So.

• 16:50Benito Skinner?

I would love somebody, and I'm sure maybe Barone HQ, I know you're listening, darling. I would love an Easter egg, because there are so many. So I think like.

• 16:58Mary Beth Barone?

  And timestamps.

• 16:59Benito Skinner?

There's so, yeah. You're gonna see so many. It's ride lore in a lot of ways.

• 17:03Mary Beth Barone?

  It is?

• 17:04Benito Skinner?

  Yeah.

• 17:04Mary Beth Barone?

Then, speaking of ride lore, I need to know if Benny took the chance to say to Kyle McLaughlin those classic bone chilling words, "I'm your son and I'm sexual and I love you."

• 17:13Benito Skinner?

Oh. I, do you know what? Well, you know, I get intrusive thoughts, so of course it crossed my mind. But we really were on set for just a couple of days. I love him more than anyone, and I will say it to him really soon.

• 17:26Mary Beth Barone?

  You could do that, like.

• 17:26Benito Skinner?

But we talked to him about Sex and the City, like in the car.

• 17:29Mary Beth Barone?

I asked him really, like, deeply personal questions as well. He gave me a lot of good advice.

• 17:33Benito Skinner?

  He's fantastic.

• 17:34Mary Beth Barone?

Cause he has a lot of downtime.

• 17:35Benito Skinner?

He's the best daddy in the world, truly. Like, we're so lucky. But yeah, not yet have I looked Kyle McLaughlin in the face and said, "I'm your son, I'm sexual and I love you, but don't write it off."

• 17:43Mary Beth Barone?

We're not saying it can't happen.

• 17:44Benito Skinner?

And I'm, I'm, I think I'm seeing him soon and during press, so I will. But, and I think he will be like, "Oh, yeah."

• 17:49Mary Beth Barone?

Just let me be there for it. You know, I don't have to be visibly there, but like, I could be behind a curtain or something.

• 17:54Benito Skinner?

We should see it in unison.

• 17:56Mary Beth Barone?

In unison. Way. So this is a four question, question.

• 18:00Benito Skinner?

  Good.

• 18:00Mary Beth Barone?

Anyone, so we'll do rapid fire. Anyone you wanted to cast but didn't?

• 18:04Benito Skinner?

I, the only thing that I have in my mind is like guest stars for if we get to do a season two. So I would say that, but no, I, I truly, this sounds like a lie. Every single person who is in the show is the one I wanted. It's really unbelievable. And it's because I think everyone also, like, we saw exactly.

• 18:23Mary Beth Barone?

  Right.

• 18:23Benito Skinner?

What we wanted, and then some in every single person who's in the show.

• 18:26Mary Beth Barone?

Cause you know what you want, you're decisive.

• 18:27Benito Skinner?

Yeah, it's a feeling. It's my, it's my intuition. It's the one thing I believe in.

• 18:31Mary Beth Barone?

Do you have any muses? And in parentheses, it says uncut jams.

• 18:35Benito Skinner?

Uncut jams? I do have a muse. I think you're a muse for me because I love your comedy so much. Because I think it feels so starkly different from mine. And that's what I respect. And I think it was Mitra Jahari, who wrote the fourth episode with us for the show. She said this thing about the character of Grace. And she's like, I love the fact that you have like an acidic bitch. And she's not apologizing for it. And she's trying to force it. But this is who she is and you can be that. Like, she's not, she doesn't want to please. Like, she wants to please people to be loved. And she thinks that's what she has to do. There's something of you standing on a stage and not, you know, I'm running back and forth. Like, I am so Benny. And so it's just so funny to watch like what my comedy was at the time when we met.

• 19:19Benito Skinner?

And watching you on stage, I just, I think that's why I was so inspired. I was like, this is completely different from anything that I've done.

• 19:26Mary Beth Barone?

Don't make me cry on the pod.

• 19:27Benito Skinner?

I swear to God, but it just made me laugh so much. And I'm like, that's why people have done the, you wrote a role for your friend. And I'm like, no, I swear to God, I wrote a role from someone in comedy that I'm inspired by. And yes, she's my friend, but I have, I don't write roles for all my friends. And I don't want that to be the conversation.

• 19:43Mary Beth Barone?

You've lost a lot of friends.

• 19:44Benito Skinner?

  Of course.

• 19:45Mary Beth Barone?

Because you didn't write a role.

• 19:46Benito Skinner?

Of course. Hey, it happened, it's Hollywood. But I'm like, I'm inspired by your comedy, just like I'm inspired by Owen Thiel. So then writing the character of George, I was like, Scott King, Scott King's watching. The showrunner, I remember at one point, we were having this conversation. And we were like, I mean, it's Owen Thiel, so it has to be Owen Thiel. Like, I wrote it for Owen.

• 20:04Mary Beth Barone?

  Yeah.

• 20:04Benito Skinner?

And I think that's the thing. It's like a muse is someone who you just meet and are immediately inspired by. And so I think literally this whole cast, once everyone was cast, getting to go back through scripts and find even more ways to tailor it to everyone's strengths.

• 20:20Mary Beth Barone?

  Yeah.

• 20:20Benito Skinner?

Including yours was like so, I'm, I'm so excited for a potential season two because now I just know, I know who's going to be there.

• 20:28Mary Beth Barone?

You can write even more to people's strengths.

• 20:29Benito Skinner?

  Yeah.

• 20:30Mary Beth Barone?

And push them out of their comfort zone, which no spoilers, but you frickin' did it.

• 20:33Benito Skinner?

I will always push. I will always push.

• 20:36Mary Beth Barone?

I know. And I'm so thankful.

• 20:37Benito Skinner?

Literally, oh my God, there's so much. And my greatest, literally my greatest joy in all this is when people get to see the people that I like see just so much potential and am so inspired by when they finally get to feel that and see that, because I think this cast is like truly lightning in a bottle and like every single person is such a star and an incredible person and genius. So, but.

• 21:01Mary Beth Barone?

And guess who's number one on that list?

• 21:04Benito Skinner?

  It's my girl.

• 21:05Mary Beth Barone?

You're number one. Hey, means the world. Love you. Touch them. When God created Adam.

• 21:09Benito Skinner?

No, literally. When God created the bi girl and the gay guy.

• 21:11Mary Beth Barone?

The bi girl and the gay guy with the podcast.

• 21:13Benito Skinner?

He really tore that one up.

• 21:14Mary Beth Barone?

The third question in the rapid fire, which we're doing amazingly on, by the way.

• 21:17Benito Skinner?

How are we doing? Do we love it, everyone?

• 21:19Mary Beth Barone?

  Good.

• 21:20Benito Skinner?

  I got a head shake.

• 21:21Mary Beth Barone?

Will there be fucking cursing bitch? And the answer is yes.

• 21:24Benito Skinner?

  Oh, there's so much fucking.

• 21:25Mary Beth Barone?

  A lot of profanity.

• 21:25Benito Skinner?

  Yeah.

• 21:26Mary Beth Barone?

And then fourth question, and this is just, we want nudity in all caps. And honey, you're gonna get it.

• 21:30Benito Skinner?

You're gonna get it, especially when the two of us.

• 21:32Mary Beth Barone?

  Yeah.

• 21:33Benito Skinner?

  Like brother, like sister.

• 21:35Mary Beth Barone?

  It runs in the family.

• 21:36Benito Skinner?

Sitting in this very room and seeing my ass on screen with friends and colleagues and strangers even, I was like, this life is a strange one, but it's mine and I'll take it.

• 21:45Mary Beth Barone?

And it's, it's this one little life that we get.

• 21:47Benito Skinner?

  It's this one little life.

• 21:48Mary Beth Barone?

Were there any other show name possibilities other than overcompensating?

• 21:51Benito Skinner?

I'm gonna say more about nudity really quick.

• 21:53Mary Beth Barone?

  Okay, cool.

• 21:53Benito Skinner?

And here's my thing. I think, and I'm not, hey, I'm not done with nudity yet. My thing is, we always did it when it felt true to college and the setting.

• 22:00Mary Beth Barone?

  Right.

• 22:01Benito Skinner?

And I think that that is my thing.

• 22:02Mary Beth Barone?

  And no one felt pressured.

• 22:03Benito Skinner?

Well, hey, thank you for, and thank you for saying that. Hey, we love that. Shout out Burge, our intimacy coordinator. We love you so much. But I think for me, it was like as much of like, I mean, college to me is like kind of naked and very like.

• 22:18Mary Beth Barone?

In front of people, you don't know that well.

• 22:19Benito Skinner?

In front of people. And I was having a conversation with, with Wally, Barum, we're gonna meet in a little bit, about college and kind of, I think the way that college students, at that time, I remember like sexualizing myself, but you don't know if it's for you or for another person. So it feels so clunky and strange. And like, being naked in front of someone during that time, like whether it be in like a frat house, or you know, or when you're having sex with someone, just, yeah, it's such a push and pull of confidence.

• 22:47Mary Beth Barone?

You're not like, in your body that much as like a younger person. And also just for all the young people listening, like you will never be that young again. So just enjoy it and have fun.

• 22:55Benito Skinner?

  Totally, let it rip.

• 22:56Mary Beth Barone?

For the love of God. But yeah, the nudity is not gratuitous. It is just like, if it felt like honest for the character to be nude, then that's what happened.

• 23:04Benito Skinner?

And I would do that, yeah. And I'm like, and I think that was the same. With like even writing for myself, but what's funny is that I, someone had asked, I added a question. Someone had asked at one point, like, like, did you ever not write something because you're like, that's too real? And I'm like, I really think that all of us, I mean, by the end, it was like, pretty obvious that some people from the writers' room were going to be in the show. But I think none of us were trying to tailor any scripts to like our comfortability. It would be like, this is what the character does, I'll just show up on the day and we're just gonna let her rip. And I feel like that happened with everything. I was like, I don't know if I'm thinking about it as much, but it felt true and right for the moment and the character. Like, I guess we're doing it.

• 23:42Mary Beth Barone?

And you were willing to do anything.

• 23:43Benito Skinner?

Of course, because I love, I love the show and I, I wanted to tell this story so bad and so honestly, and make it feel so real.

• 23:50Mary Beth Barone?

So were there any other title names? I feel like this was very clear from the start.

• 23:55Benito Skinner?

It was always gonna be this, the title name of the standup show that I did, it was originally called All the Best Ones Are Gay. But then I switched it because I didn't think anyone would come. So then it became overcompensating because I almost, I'm like, it's just, it's so.

• 24:11Mary Beth Barone?

The act of that is over.

• 24:12Benito Skinner?

Me, and that show was so overcompensating. You remember how I started that live show, which is so funny now, watching it back, I'm like, that really, I feel like because I got to tour that and build that relationship with you too, it's like, I came out dressed as Brittany with football photos of me playing on the screens. And I'm like, that, so is the show.

• 24:31Mary Beth Barone?

  Yeah.

• 24:32Benito Skinner?

And that is the character of Benny, but getting now to find what that is for each of these characters is what the show is. And I feel like, yeah, that's.

• 24:39Mary Beth Barone?

  And it's a true ensemble.

• 24:40Benito Skinner?

It really is. And oh my God, you're gonna love them.

• 24:42Mary Beth Barone?

  Cause you're generous. So, okay.

• 24:45Benito Skinner?

Wait, can you do it one more time?

• 24:46Mary Beth Barone?

  No.

• 24:47Benito Skinner?

You have to, please, no, sorry, you have to. You have to. This is me on set. You want tea on set? Sometimes this, how me is this? You have to.

• 24:54Mary Beth Barone?

I have to do the denim.

• 24:56Benito Skinner?

  I, it's, I really think.

• 24:57Mary Beth Barone?

I don't have to do the physicality, right?

• 24:58Benito Skinner?

You have to. I think it will change culture. Madewell will stop selling them.

• 25:04Mary Beth Barone?

Let me out. I can't breathe. Okay, now that I'm sweating.

• 25:10Benito Skinner?

  Fuck, here we go.

• 25:11Mary Beth Barone?

And our first guest, and we'll rearrange the chairs.

• 25:14Benito Skinner?

  Is she there?

• 25:15Mary Beth Barone?

  Wally flying in.

• 25:16Benito Skinner?

Wait, Wally flying in, we're gonna get you a chair. Hi darling.

• 25:20Mary Beth Barone?

Totally rolling, we're totally rolling. Where you're gonna sit, that's a surprise.

• 25:24Benito Skinner?

It's gonna happen, it's gonna happen right now. Wally.

• 25:28Mary Beth Barone?

  Oh my gosh.

• 25:29Benito Skinner?

Oh, the things I did to Wally on set.

• 25:32Mary Beth Barone?

  I feel crazy.

• 25:33Benito Skinner?

We did all these like late nights.

• 25:34Mary Beth Barone?

You didn't do the worst stuff, though. Someone else did a worse thing.

• 25:37Benito Skinner?

  Oh god. Don't even.

• 25:38Mary Beth Barone?

Should we not talk about it?

• 25:39Benito Skinner?

Someone did fart on Wally, on set.

• 25:42Speaker 03

  Two people farted on Wally.

• 25:43Benito Skinner?

  But I, we.

• 25:44Mary Beth Barone?

  Benny, two people did.

• 25:46Benito Skinner?

Oh, two people did fart on Wally. But here's the thing, at one point, I remember on set, I said to you, I was like, it's only been like a weekend, I love you so much, we've done so many night shoots, I do have to go fart. And you were like so fine with it.

• 25:58Speaker 03

  At least you laughed.

• 25:59Benito Skinner?

  Yeah.

• 26:00Speaker 03

Or, well, no, someone of power was sitting crisscross applesauce across for me, and when he rose, he rose

• 26:06Benito Skinner?

  It was full.

• 26:07Speaker 03

with such verve that it, the momentum of the fart out propelled him upwards.

• 26:12Benito Skinner?

I can't stress enough, this was day one on set.

• 26:14Speaker 03

  Yeah.

• 26:15Mary Beth Barone?

That was day one, and then it was, the other person that did it was in the pregame scene, maybe?

• 26:19Speaker 03

Oh yes, yeah, yeah, yeah, one of the, our good old boys.

• 26:23Benito Skinner?

I love my boys, but when we shot the pregame scene in 102, that room, I was like, you guys are, you're farting in my dorm room, in a way that's really sitting with me.

• 26:30Mary Beth Barone?

And on your, on your, on your lead woman.

• 26:32Benito Skinner?

  And I'm my girl.

• 26:33Speaker 03

I'm fart onable, and that's kind of the character, she is a little fart onable.

• 26:37Benito Skinner?

Hey, you know what? And aren't we all?

• 26:39Speaker 03

  Yeah, and aren't we all?

• 26:40Benito Skinner?

Wait, I'm so happy you're here.

• 26:41Speaker 03

  Hello.

• 26:42Benito Skinner?

  Wally.

• 26:43Mary Beth Barone?

This is crazy. Wally, this is your big, and now introducing Wally Barra, my friend. I mean, welcome to the Ride Cinematic Universe. Obviously, we've talked about you so much this season, because like, you know, we were recording episodes in Toronto still.

• 26:56Benito Skinner?

  Yeah.

• 26:56Mary Beth Barone?

And then we can't get you out of our heads, so even since we wrap, we still talk about you like in every episode, but what do you ride for?

• 27:02Speaker 03

Okay, I ride for, this won't surprise you, hiding. I love to hide.

• 27:06Benito Skinner?

  Oh.

• 27:07Speaker 03

I love a good hide. I love to protect my energy. If I'm not feeling like socializing or like having other people perceive me just kind of wandering around aimlessly when I'm not engaged in work, I will hide, I'll lie down kind of beside a bed. So someone looking in can't see me.

• 27:23Mary Beth Barone?

Won't even know that you're there.

• 27:24Speaker 03

On the bed, exactly. I'll hide behind the door. I did that to Holmes once. Bless her soul.

• 27:28Mary Beth Barone?

  It's innovation.

• 27:29Benito Skinner?

Seeing what you've done with the space and how you can hide and make almost a fort.

• 27:34Speaker 03

  Yeah.

• 27:34Benito Skinner?

What was that? We were shooting the, the episode in Idaho and you guys were, it was such a long day and you, you two had kind of made like, almost like a PBT dorm setup in the upstairs of that bar where it was like chairs across.

• 27:47Mary Beth Barone?

  Oh my God.

• 27:48Benito Skinner?

And then it was like a fortress.

• 27:49Mary Beth Barone?

We had to, it was survival. We went into survival mode.

• 27:52Benito Skinner?

  But that was fabulous.

• 27:53Speaker 03

  That was crazy.

• 27:54Benito Skinner?

But that was amazing. We treat actors with respect in that.

• 27:56Mary Beth Barone?

Of course. And we have mentioned on the pod several times that Wally actually sort of taught Benny that he could go to his trailer at lunch.

• 28:04Benito Skinner?

I, I have said this so much. I don't know if you've heard me say this, but I tell everyone that you taught me how to like, actually just take a, a moment for myself. You're like, at one point, yeah, you were like, you don't have to go to lunch every day. You should just like go to your trailer and take a nap. And then I started doing that and it changed, it changed my life. Cause I just needed the like, oh.

• 28:22Mary Beth Barone?

  It's critical. And the reminder.

• 28:23Benito Skinner?

But you're so good at space, but it doesn't come across as I don't fuck with you.

• 28:27Mary Beth Barone?

No, it's, it's boundaries. Like when we were at the concert at Coachella.

• 28:32Speaker 03

What did I do at Coachella?

• 28:33Mary Beth Barone?

Well, when someone got soda in your boot and you said, I'm, I'm gonna go.

• 28:36Speaker 03

I'll leave anything at any time unless I'm like, hey, half, people are relying on me. But if.

• 28:41Benito Skinner?

  No, I know.

• 28:42Speaker 03

  If they're like.

• 28:43Mary Beth Barone?

But if it's optional, then you, you never know what Wally's gonna do.

• 28:45Benito Skinner?

Soda in the boot at Gaga. It gives very finger in the booty ass bitch. Why is that in my head today?

• 28:51Mary Beth Barone?

I don't know what that is, but you said that earlier.

• 28:52Benito Skinner?

Someone will, someone will Google it and get to it. Yes, Wally, what's been your best like hiding moment?

• 28:58Speaker 03

  My best hiding moment?

• 28:59Benito Skinner?

  Mm-hmm.

• 29:00Speaker 03

Oh, my gosh. That's a good question. Okay, wait, this is actually a crazy story. And I usually don't spend money like this, but one time I came home, I was at my dad's house and making a sandwich, just exhausted. My uncle came over and I didn't, I hadn't seen my uncle in years and I didn't want to like engage with my uncle, just small, it's Uncle Smalltalk. And that's okay, and you shouldn't have to. I shouldn't have to. Uncle should not be, well, forced, never mind. Anyway, so then...

• 29:25Benito Skinner?

  Keep that, yeah.

• 29:26Speaker 03

We're keeping that. So then I ran upstairs into the bedroom and I hid from him and then I was like, man, I don't want to come down and talk to my uncle. And so I Instacarted a ladder to the house. I put in the notes. This is when I like first started making money and I was like, oh, I didn't understand how money worked. By the way, a ladder like 40 bucks and you're like, I never spend money like this.

• 29:49Benito Skinner?

Hey, just so you know, I'm frugal.

• 29:52Speaker 03

I don't live lavishly except this one day where I got a ladder delivered from Lowe's. What did you put in the notes? So then I put in the notes, I was like, hey, can you set the ladder up to, if you're facing the house, set it up to the window farthest left. And then the guy left, just left the ladder there and didn't look at the notes. And so then this is where it gets bad. I Instacarted a second ladder because I was like, in for a penny, in for a pound. Well, you have to just commit to it at that point. And so then that guy set up the ladder under the thing and then the neighbor came over and they were like, what's going on?

• 30:24Benito Skinner?

  Is someone painting your house?

• 30:27Speaker 03

Or is someone like trapped up there?

• 30:29Benito Skinner?

  Trying to escape?

• 30:29Speaker 03

Yeah. And then my uncle came out and I was like, whoa, I didn't know you were here because I had to go down. And that's my craziest hiding story. And it's one of my craziest stories. I didn't intend to get to it, but it does really work. I'm glad we got there. Yeah. Like, that's important for the baronies to understand.

• 30:44Benito Skinner?

And we had to get there. Wally has never once told me a story that I was like... It's always the first time that I would have ever heard something like that in my life.

• 30:53Mary Beth Barone?

And it's never like, I like, that went exactly how I thought it was gonna go.

• 30:56Benito Skinner?

  No.

• 30:56Mary Beth Barone?

Like even when you said the first ladder thing, and then I thought the guy was gonna set it up. And then when you said you had to order a second one, that was where I was like, that's, and that's the turn.

• 31:04Benito Skinner?

Yeah, and that's the Wally turn, sweetie.

• 31:05Mary Beth Barone?

That's the Wally turn that she's famous for.

• 31:07Speaker 03

Mm-hmm. But those ladders were very useful.

• 31:09Benito Skinner?

  Of course.

• 31:09Speaker 03

  Yeah, yeah, yeah.

• 31:10Benito Skinner?

  Expensive.

• 31:11Speaker 03

It's great to have ladders in the home, you know?

• 31:13Mary Beth Barone?

I don't have one, maybe I need to get one.

• 31:14Speaker 03

  You do.

• 31:15Benito Skinner?

It's really, it's scary though, when they're in a house with your parents, cuz I'm like, I don't want you guys up on that.

• 31:19Mary Beth Barone?

Yeah, I think we need an age limit for when a parent can get on a ladder. And if, if they're above the limit, like, let's just, as, as the kids, we'll pay to get someone in there to do whatever needs to be done.

• 31:30Benito Skinner?

My parents are addicted. I bet I can count on my hands how many times I've been on a ladder. Huge shock to everyone involved.

• 31:34Mary Beth Barone?

  Not a lot.

• 31:35Benito Skinner?

But here's the thing, I am like, knock it off, get off that thing.

• 31:38Mary Beth Barone?

  Yeah.

• 31:38Benito Skinner?

But parents love hopping on one. And Wally, I don't want you on one anymore.

• 31:41Speaker 03

I will never be on a ladder. We ride for age-appropriate, safe ladders.

• 31:44Benito Skinner?

  Exactly.

• 31:45Mary Beth Barone?

  And hiding.

• 31:46Benito Skinner?

Do you remember what I did after I met Wally on Zoom?

• 31:48Mary Beth Barone?

  When you called me?

• 31:49Benito Skinner?

  Yeah.

• 31:49Mary Beth Barone?

And you said, "I found our girl."

• 31:52Benito Skinner?

  I did say that.

• 31:53Mary Beth Barone?

It was instant, he knew immediately.

• 31:54Benito Skinner?

I just knew, and I just, it's like, it's, I just knew. I think my favorite thing was like, how long people, a part of the project, had seen the scripts, even Terry, and you had, you know, heard of the show for six years. And it was so fun to be like, whoa, this is exactly the kind of person, I just loved your comedy. And if you haven't seen Wally's stand-up, you have to, oh my god. But it was just like, oh my god, here's this character, and this, I had fallen so much in love with this character, and she meant so much to me, and it's just like, are you kidding?

• 32:24Speaker 03

  Benny.

• 32:24Benito Skinner?

  I'm so lucky.

• 32:25Speaker 03

  I'm so fortunate.

• 32:26Benito Skinner?

Yeah, you can hide from me all you want, girl.

• 32:27Speaker 03

Stop, I'll get chills. I've never hiked from you, never, I've never hid from him.

• 32:31Benito Skinner?

Oh, we had so much fun on set, we did a lot of night shoots, and then the seventh episode means the freaking world to me, cuz I just kinda got to be with my girls.

• 32:37Mary Beth Barone?

Well, I wanna say one thing, which is that I feel like the Carmen character is so complex, and it's this thing of like earnestness and sweetness, but also being funny. And like, I feel like girls in college suffer from this thing where when they're funny, like, no one will just give them their flowers and laugh at them. And that's why I think having like, a, a woman and a gay guy as best friends, like, that is something so essential that some women don't find till after college, but- Like to just appreciate when like Carmen's character is so funny. Like that meant the world. And I think it's such a hard like thing to accomplish. But you were able to do both. And so it was just like you were the only person that could do it, really.

• 33:11Benito Skinner?

  Yeah.

• 33:12Mary Beth Barone?

  That's how I feel.

• 33:13Benito Skinner?

I feel like immediately, immediately, you just root for you and you root for these kids.

• 33:17Mary Beth Barone?

Wally, thank you so much for being here. We're gonna get our next guest in.

• 33:20Benito Skinner?

Thank you for being on Entertainment Tonight. We love you so much. We can't move.

• 33:24Mary Beth Barone?

  Yeah, love you.

• 33:26Benito Skinner?

  Go hide, sweetie.

• 33:28Mary Beth Barone?

Let's bring in our next guest.

• 33:29Benito Skinner?

Go take a little nap, sweetheart.

• 33:31Mary Beth Barone?

  The famous Rish Shah.

• 33:33Benito Skinner?

Oh, my God, that's Rish Shah.

• 33:35Mary Beth Barone?

Shah entering, Rish Shah flying in. Rish, come on, wake up. Rish, welcome to the pod.

• 33:40Speaker 00

  Rish.

• 33:43Mary Beth Barone?

I said, I said I wanted to have the biggest pants and then you had to go and one up me.

• 33:47Speaker 00

  With the biggest pants?

• 33:48Mary Beth Barone?

  Bigger pants.

• 33:49Speaker 00

  I know. Well, I can't imagine.

• 33:51Mary Beth Barone?

I think we're good at always looking like we're going to the same event.

• 33:54Speaker 00

  Yeah.

• 33:54Mary Beth Barone?

Which is crucial for any, for any ensemble.

• 33:56Benito Skinner?

I do have board shorts on, but just have fun.

• 33:58Speaker 00

You're giving it up. Don't, don't take it all so seriously.

• 34:01Mary Beth Barone?

  Sexy, creepy, etc.

• 34:03Benito Skinner?

  Rish, knock it off.

• 34:04Speaker 00

  Save it for a screening.

• 34:05Benito Skinner?

  Seriously.

• 34:05Mary Beth Barone?

  Rish, welcome to Ride.

• 34:08Speaker 00

  Thank you so much.

• 34:09Mary Beth Barone?

How does it feel to be here?

• 34:10Speaker 00

Good. I'm very excited to be here.

• 34:11Benito Skinner?

The question on everyone's lips as Rish listens to Ride.

• 34:15Speaker 00

Have I? I can't lie to you. This is my first time on a podcast.

• 34:19Benito Skinner?

Oh, my God. Well, we have very exclusive, sweetie.

• 34:23Speaker 00

And I don't, I genuinely like, and I've said this to you before, I have been waiting for a moment to have been so far departed from like your existence and mine. That that's when I'm gonna like lock into Ride.

• 34:33Mary Beth Barone?

Cause that's when you'll need it the most.

• 34:34Speaker 00

And that's when I'm gonna need it the most. Right now, I know I'm very blessed to have FaceTime with you. So.

• 34:39Benito Skinner?

  That means.

• 34:39Speaker 00

When I don't have the FaceTime with you, I'm gonna ride.

• 34:42Benito Skinner?

I really love that. Someone said that to me yesterday. They're like, yeah, I used to, before we started working together, I listened to Ride all the time, but I don't now. I see you guys. And I'm like, okay, well, I'm glad it feels the same.

• 34:51Mary Beth Barone?

  I think that's fair. I think it's fair. I think it's fair.

• 34:55Benito Skinner?

  Hey, hey, it's all good.

• 34:56Mary Beth Barone?

It's all good. There's no hard feelings.

• 34:58Benito Skinner?

How much is Rish Love You Kid?

• 35:00Mary Beth Barone?

Oh, he is Love You Kid, especially in the show. I feel like Love You Kid. You would know what that meant if you listened.

• 35:05Benito Skinner?

I'm so excited what Rish rides for.

• 35:07Mary Beth Barone?

  What do you ride for?

• 35:08Benito Skinner?

  I was thinking about.

• 35:08Speaker 00

This in my sleep and I was kind of talking about it with the others.

• 35:11Mary Beth Barone?

Wait, since you brought up sleep. So I would say that if we were doing senior superlatives of the of I almost said the ride cast of the overcompensating cast. Rich would definitely win like most likely to be sleeping.

• 35:23Benito Skinner?

  Oh, yeah.

• 35:23Mary Beth Barone?

So one time, one time I went down, I was always early to get in the car. To get to set because I'm like a total professional.

• 35:30Speaker 00

I'm gonna preface, this has never happened before.

• 35:32Mary Beth Barone?

So, okay, also, you should know this, that we had been living in our apartments for two months at that point. What I learned on day one is that some of the outlets control the plugs. So if the outlet was turned off, the plug doesn't work. So I learned that quickly. Again, I'm a woman, so I'm like observing and perceiving a lot. So I go down to the van and then there's one of the drivers who I love was like, so we can't find Rish? And I was like, cool, that's really scary because you were like 30 to 40 minutes late at that point. So then the driver went to talk to the front desk and they were like, we actually can't tell you what room Rish is in, but we can tell her. So I was like, great, why don't I just go see if there's a body in there or anything like that? So I go up to your room and I'm banging on the door.

• 36:10Benito Skinner?

She was checking for body because you had never been late.

• 36:12Mary Beth Barone?

  You'd never been late, exactly.

• 36:14Speaker 00

  My mother always told me.

• 36:15Mary Beth Barone?

But I was really, really scared. And I always go to the worst possible thing that could have happened, so I'm freaking out. So then I go bang, I had to bang so hard and you were like, whoa. Who the fuck is that? Whoa.

• 36:31Benito Skinner?

Wait, that is so great expectations to me.

• 36:33Mary Beth Barone?

And you didn't even, I know, I know, it was, it was so scary. You were so mad and you didn't even open the door and I thought to myself, I can't imagine what it looks like right now.

• 36:41Speaker 00

And then I realized what happened.

• 36:42Mary Beth Barone?

But you still didn't open the door. And you go, my phone didn't charge and I'm like, well, because the outlets, you can, you can turn them off with the flip of a switch. So then it all worked out in the end, but it was really scary. It was really scary.

• 36:53Speaker 00

This doesn't happen in the UK. I'm just an island boy. It's just my little island doesn't, we're not equipped.

• 36:58Benito Skinner?

I'm sorry, I cannot deal with.

• 37:02Mary Beth Barone?

  You were so mad.

• 37:03Benito Skinner?

What's that's line in Brad Pitt and Troy? Suck of wine.

• 37:08Mary Beth Barone?

  It was very that.

• 37:09Speaker 00

And then I like jumped into gear and suddenly, you know, I was. And then you were, you were locked in. We got the scene.

• 37:14Mary Beth Barone?

And I took your car and you took my car. Yeah, and you got it. So anyway, sorry, what do you write for?

• 37:19Speaker 00

Okay, yeah, so this genuinely came to me last night and I was thinking about it. And at first I was gonna say incense and then I thought, oh, like, true, boring, but also true, but also like my genuine, like, this is what-

• 37:29Mary Beth Barone?

That's so out of left field to me. It's out of left field.

• 37:32Speaker 00

  Rich always smells good.

• 37:33Benito Skinner?

  Oh, yeah.

• 37:34Mary Beth Barone?

No, I know he smells, but I know you never think like a straight guy is super into incense.

• 37:37Benito Skinner?

Can I say something, though? Sometimes straight guys will light frankincense in a room and I'm like, whoa, is it Easter Sunday? Get that out.

• 37:43Mary Beth Barone?

Get that out, sorry. Well, it's triggering if you were Catholic.

• 37:46Speaker 00

But no, but my, my, my ride is sleep paralysis.

• 37:50Mary Beth Barone?

  You ride for sleep paralysis.

• 37:52Speaker 00

  I think I have to.

• 37:54Benito Skinner?

  Wait, this is so powerful.

• 37:54Mary Beth Barone?

  Say more.

• 37:55Benito Skinner?

You know what this hearkens back to?

• 37:56Speaker 00

  Yeah.

• 37:56Benito Skinner?

When I wrote for intrusive thoughts, because you have to write from them in order for them to go away.

• 37:59Mary Beth Barone?

  Totally.

• 37:59Benito Skinner?

Love you so much. Keep going.

• 38:00Mary Beth Barone?

  You take the power back.

• 38:01Speaker 00

It's been a real bane of my existence for a few years, but I've like realized, hey, I'm having sleep paralysis right now.

• 38:07Benito Skinner?

  Yeah.

• 38:08Speaker 00

  So now I enjoy it.

• 38:09Mary Beth Barone?

  Yeah, you can do stuff.

• 38:10Speaker 00

Now I'm like, into the demons.

• 38:11Benito Skinner?

  You're like-

• 38:12Speaker 00

  You know?

• 38:13Benito Skinner?

It's very you saying hi to Grandpa Terry when you enter the house. Or just ghosts in general. We love ghosts on the pod.

• 38:17Speaker 00

This is why I think people believe in ghosts, is sleep paralysis, because you can hallucinate, which makes me sound fucking insane.

• 38:23Benito Skinner?

  It really doesn't.

• 38:23Mary Beth Barone?

No, it doesn't, especially not to the baronies. I mean, some of the things we've said on this podcast.

• 38:27Speaker 00

  No, I've had some crazy-

• 38:28Benito Skinner?

They've said shyste magwagin, which I would love to hear you say.

• 38:30Speaker 00

  Shyste magwagin?

• 38:31Mary Beth Barone?

Yeah, that sounds really good with the accent.

• 38:33Benito Skinner?

  Let's just clip that.

• 38:33Speaker 00

  Shyste magwagin.

• 38:35Benito Skinner?

Like, can you take us through it?

• 38:36Speaker 00

  Yeah, no.

• 38:36Benito Skinner?

On Entertainment Tonight. We gotta hear this.

• 38:38Speaker 00

I'll take you through it. Well, there's different, like, variations. And like, it happens to me if I'm really, really exhausted. Like, the first time I ever experienced it, I didn't, obviously I had no idea this was a thing. So I was, it was as I was falling asleep and suddenly I was in this weird kind of state of which, oh, I wouldn't wish this was my worst enemy.

• 38:57Mary Beth Barone?

No, it's crazy. It's really scary.

• 38:59Speaker 00

And I would wish a lot of things-

• 39:00Mary Beth Barone?

And you've got enemies. And you've got enemies.

• 39:02Benito Skinner?

You've got, no, he's got ops.

• 39:03Mary Beth Barone?

  You've got ops out there.

• 39:04Speaker 00

  I got ops, still, still.

• 39:06Benito Skinner?

  Still.

• 39:07Speaker 00

  I wouldn't wish this.

• 39:08Benito Skinner?

Just inside jokes between us. We have a lot of scenes together.

• 39:11Speaker 00

Yeah, we have a lot of scenes together. As I'm falling asleep, I realized like, okay- I can't, I could not move. And then I started like trying to shout for help and those shouts became screams, but I couldn't, I couldn't get anything out.

• 39:27Benito Skinner?

  Yeah.

• 39:28Speaker 00

And it just got more and more terrifying. And then I realized, oh, like, I, I thought I was paralyzed. And I, it was just crazy.

• 39:36Benito Skinner?

Do you feel like you can't move?

• 39:37Speaker 00

You know, you genuinely can't move.

• 39:39Mary Beth Barone?

You can't move, any extremities, you can't talk.

• 39:41Speaker 00

And it happens more, and I did a lot of research, it happens more if like you're laying on your back or whatever.

• 39:44Mary Beth Barone?

You do start hallucinating too, it's really weird.

• 39:46Speaker 00

  Have you had it?

• 39:47Mary Beth Barone?

I have had it. Actually, the first time I ever had it was in college.

• 39:49Speaker 00

  Yeah.

• 39:50Mary Beth Barone?

And I was taking a nap and I woke up from the nap, but I couldn't move.

• 39:53Speaker 00

  Yeah.

• 39:54Mary Beth Barone?

And then I realized I was still sleeping and it's.

• 39:57Speaker 00

  Oh, oh, it's crazy.

• 39:58Mary Beth Barone?

  New fear unlocked.

• 39:59Speaker 00

  It's crazy.

• 40:00Mary Beth Barone?

  Enjoy it.

• 40:01Speaker 00

But now, enjoy it, because now you've got to ride for it, because you've got to be like, well, if not, I'm gonna think I'm gonna die. And this is when I realized I was on a plane. It was after my 21st birthday and we were flying to Barcelona or something and I had sleep paralysis. I was so exhausted. And I thought I was having like a heart attack.

• 40:15Mary Beth Barone?

And you ride so hard for this.

• 40:17Speaker 00

And I, and I ride for it, because I'm like.

• 40:19Benito Skinner?

This is what the pod's all about.

• 40:21Speaker 00

I was like, like trying to get the guy next to me, get his attention.

• 40:25Mary Beth Barone?

But you couldn't move or talk.

• 40:26Speaker 00

  Yeah.

• 40:26Benito Skinner?

What do the demons like? What do they like? Is it very Babadook coded?

• 40:29Speaker 00

Oh my God, I love the, you know, Babadook. That was one of my favorite horrors.

• 40:32Benito Skinner?

  I love Babadook.

• 40:33Mary Beth Barone?

  Babadook's like pretty famous.

• 40:35Speaker 00

I like it. Oh, is it?

• 40:36Mary Beth Barone?

  Oh, cool.

• 40:37Speaker 00

  Damn.

• 40:38Mary Beth Barone?

I was sorry, I didn't know you were such a film buff.

• 40:41Benito Skinner?

What do the demons look like?

• 40:42Speaker 00

  They're faceless.

• 40:43Benito Skinner?

Until that morning, it was very bad.

• 40:45Mary Beth Barone?

  It was me.

• 40:48Benito Skinner?

Is that how you talk to them?

• 40:49Speaker 00

Oh, yeah. Now I, I genu-, I, I'm not joking, guys. I genuinely know now when it's happening. And like, I've realized sometimes to myself, if I do have a weird hallucination, I do like talk back to them. And I, I'm like, what? Like, come on then.

• 41:03Benito Skinner?

I would do anything to watch this.

• 41:05Speaker 00

Like, do something then. No, nothing's gonna happen.

• 41:08Benito Skinner?

  You're like, hey, bruv.

• 41:12Speaker 00

Sorry. Yo, hold up, back up.

• 41:14Benito Skinner?

  Yeah.

• 41:14Mary Beth Barone?

  Whoa, whoa, whoa, whoa, whoa.

• 41:18Benito Skinner?

  Easy now.

• 41:19Speaker 00

I'm gonna wake up and feel fresh.

• 41:21Benito Skinner?

I don't know what I would do, but I'm really, this is an incredible ride. Cause it's powerful. This is what we do.

• 41:26Mary Beth Barone?

  Taking the power back.

• 41:27Speaker 00

  It's one to sleep on.

• 41:28Benito Skinner?

Take the power back. And also, here's my thing, there's no singular experience. So the second I go on the internet or on Reddit and I'm like, oh, everyone else feels this. Thank God.

• 41:35Speaker 00

  Yeah.

• 41:36Mary Beth Barone?

And a lot of people have sleep paralysis.

• 41:37Benito Skinner?

  So many.

• 41:38Speaker 00

  Luckily, it's very, it's a universal thing.

• 41:39Benito Skinner?

My last question is, is it an annoying thing when people do the memes about it where they're like, what, my sleep paralysis demon looks like in the corner? Yeah, cause it's like, well, you don't even know what that is.

• 41:47Speaker 00

Yeah, I'm like, how, you know what? Don't even try and relate.

• 41:50Mary Beth Barone?

Well, my culture's not your costume.

• 41:51Benito Skinner?

  Exactly. Thank you.

• 41:53Mary Beth Barone?

  Anyway.

• 41:54Benito Skinner?

  Rishon, everyone.

• 41:55Mary Beth Barone?

What a fabulous ride. And thank you so much for being on the podcast.

• 41:58Speaker 00

Thank you guys for having me.

• 41:59Mary Beth Barone?

And hey, we hope to one day get you as a listener. Love you, Ked.

• 42:01Benito Skinner?

I hope to only be one day your sleep paralysis demon.

• 42:03Speaker 00

Listen, I hope I never am, cause you guys are lumbered with me and stuck with me. Love you guys. Thanks for having me.

• 42:08Benito Skinner?

  Does he mean the world?

• 42:10Speaker 00

  Bye.

• 42:10Benito Skinner?

  Sorry, he means the world.

• 42:11Mary Beth Barone?

Who's next? Nell, get in here now and hurry on the hop.

• 42:14Benito Skinner?

Nell, on the hop. You better dribble, girl. You better dribble in here and show us that Jordan shimmy. Nell.

• 42:22Mary Beth Barone?

Nell, please take a seat. Welcome to the pod.

• 42:25Benito Skinner?

  You are just the best.

• 42:27Speaker 04

  Let me just say.

• 42:28Benito Skinner?

  The Jordan shimmy?

• 42:29Speaker 04

No, Benny, thank you. But we will address. It's an honor to be here.

• 42:35Benito Skinner?

It's an honor to have you.

• 42:36Speaker 04

I'm a huge fan and I love you both. And I didn't watch Ride until my friend Ella, who's like a diehard fan, told me about it. And she was like, you can't go on that show without listening to these two brilliant people.

• 42:51Mary Beth Barone?

Ella, huge shout out to you and thank you so much for converting girls into, into baronies. That's what we want. Conversion therapy.

• 42:59Benito Skinner?

We're so happy to have you. I remember when you submitted your tape for Emily. And I had seen Thanksgiving. I thought you were so brilliant. I love that movie. I had such a fun time at the Cinemark, North Hollywood. It was incredible. I love that film. It's so fun. I can't wait for Thanksgiving too, but.

• 43:14Speaker 04

  Thanks, babe.

• 43:14Benito Skinner?

Your tape was submitted and it was so funny. On, on the page, it reads as, this girl is absolutely nuts. How could these two things exist in the same person? You were so funny, so brilliant, still felt like a real person and just like, I couldn't. And I had seen you in Thanksgiving, so I'm like. What the fuck?

• 43:31Speaker 04

This is not the same person.

• 43:33Benito Skinner?

  We were laughing so.

• 43:34Mary Beth Barone?

  No, comedic genius.

• 43:35Benito Skinner?

  You're brilliant, like.

• 43:36Mary Beth Barone?

  Undeniable.

• 43:37Benito Skinner?

You're just incredible. You took Wally saying is like, that will stick with me for a long time. And our scene together is like, you're just the best.

• 43:46Speaker 04

I don't think I've ever had more fun, even like having sex with a straight guy. So.

• 43:50Benito Skinner?

  That, that means the world.

• 43:52Mary Beth Barone?

  Wow.

• 43:52Benito Skinner?

  And you know what?

• 43:53Mary Beth Barone?

  And your media.

• 43:53Benito Skinner?

  Clip that.

• 43:56Mary Beth Barone?

  So.

• 43:56Benito Skinner?

But hey, I, I, where to even begin with you, but I think we'll begin with, what do you ride for?

• 44:01Speaker 04

What do you ride for? Yeah. Well, as our recent discussion, just a few minutes ago, I changed my answer.

• 44:08Benito Skinner?

  Okay.

• 44:09Speaker 04

Because I feel like this is really one for the people.

• 44:11Benito Skinner?

  Yeah. Of course.

• 44:12Speaker 04

  So.

• 44:13Benito Skinner?

  It's very rad.

• 44:13Speaker 04

Right now I'm riding for going viral for something cringe.

• 44:17Benito Skinner?

  I, this is so rad.

• 44:19Mary Beth Barone?

  The power that that has.

• 44:20Benito Skinner?

  Everyone's facing demons.

• 44:22Speaker 04

Yeah, because I've never gone viral and I don't know that I will in my lifetime again.

• 44:26Benito Skinner?

  Oh, my God.

• 44:27Speaker 04

  What?

• 44:28Benito Skinner?

I just went viral. That's one of our bits.

• 44:30Speaker 04

  That's one of our bits.

• 44:31Mary Beth Barone?

  Wait, but something so interesting.

• 44:32Benito Skinner?

You kind of did that. You could have done that.

• 44:34Mary Beth Barone?

But you're going viral and you didn't even post it. It's like someone else posted it.

• 44:38Benito Skinner?

Which is kind of a nightmare in a way.

• 44:39Speaker 04

Everyone, like my friend group calls me the auntie because I go home really early. I never go out.

• 44:45Mary Beth Barone?

You left your own birthday party early. I met, I literally went out with you when you were at a birthday dinner. I met you and you were like, yeah, we might go out after. And I was like, oh, I'm tired. And then I texted you the next day. I was like, how was last night? You're like, I just went home after dinner.

• 44:57Speaker 04

  On your birthday.

• 44:58Benito Skinner?

  And hey, that's my girl.

• 44:59Speaker 04

Yeah. So I'm kind of amazing.

• 45:01Benito Skinner?

  Yeah.

• 45:01Speaker 04

I just don't know what's also going on most of the time. Like I know what's going on in the news and I know what's going on with like movies.

• 45:08Mary Beth Barone?

Well, you told us, I was having a party and you literally go, Donald Trump was shot. Sure. And you were like, my mom just texted me.

• 45:15Speaker 04

Because my mom will text me and say like, you know, this is what happened or.

• 45:20Benito Skinner?

  Yeah.

• 45:20Speaker 04

This person did this. Okay. So a lot of the time my friends will tell me and my mom. And so. About four guys who I hooked up with in high school all texted me separately out of the blue.

• 45:33Benito Skinner?

  Today's about ghosts.

• 45:34Speaker 04

  Coming out of the woodwork.

• 45:35Benito Skinner?

  Today's about demons and ghosts.

• 45:36Speaker 04

Yep. And we're like, no, one of them spelled my name wrong. No, how are you? So cool when they do that. And I was like, this is kind of weird. I don't respond. And then the two other ones are like, you're kind of breaking the internet. And I'm like, oh my God, like people are saying I'm so pretty.

• 45:52Benito Skinner?

  You're like, my impact.

• 45:54Speaker 04

I'm like, finally. That's such a cool instinct to think that that's why.

• 45:58Benito Skinner?

You went, oh, my headshot leak?

• 46:00Speaker 04

I was like, holy shit, finally.

• 46:03Benito Skinner?

  Yeah.

• 46:04Speaker 04

And then I saw an old clip of a show that I did where I play a basketball player, a great one, by the way. And I did that for the kids. Mm hmm. Yes.

• 46:15Benito Skinner?

  That's Miss Big Shot.

• 46:16Speaker 04

  Big Shot.

• 46:17Benito Skinner?

  If you're nasty.

• 46:17Speaker 04

Want to watch it? Yep. And

• 46:19Benito Skinner?

  Disney numbers.

• 46:20Speaker 04

I reference And it's numbers. Michael Jordan's signature shimmy. Yeah. A move that I had no idea what it was or if it existed.

• 46:27Benito Skinner?

  Hmm.

• 46:27Speaker 04

Turns out, not sure if it does. Well, not sure if it does.

• 46:29Benito Skinner?

And we won't look it up on the, we don't fact check on the pod.

• 46:31Speaker 04

But if you want to watch the video that is on cringe talk, which I didn't know. It has eight million views.

• 46:37Benito Skinner?

I am cringe, but I am free.

• 46:39Speaker 04

  I agree.

• 46:40Benito Skinner?

  Yeah.

• 46:40Speaker 04

  I kind of

• 46:41Benito Skinner?

  Amplify.

• 46:42Speaker 04

I'm like, I mean, two of our cast members, both straight guys.

• 46:46Benito Skinner?

  Straight guys.

• 46:46Speaker 04

Mm hmm. Nobody else knew. It didn't even

• 46:49Benito Skinner?

  That was never

• 46:49Speaker 04

It didn't come within 20 feet of my algorithm.

• 46:52Benito Skinner?

And in that moment, I thought, okay, you've done, my algorithm knows me exactly because I heard you say Jordan's signature shimmy.

• 46:58Speaker 04

  And you were like

• 46:59Benito Skinner?

Was there a Jordan in the high school?

• 47:00Speaker 04

  Sure, sure, sure.

• 47:01Benito Skinner?

I know who Michael Jordan is and I, I love his work.

• 47:03Speaker 04

  Of course.

• 47:04Benito Skinner?

  And I love his fashions.

• 47:06Speaker 04

  Yeah, sure.

• 47:06Benito Skinner?

But I, here's the thing, I, I'd like, that didn't clock. So I, I know that clip's not for me. But what they didn't understand is that I'm a knellhead and I, of course, I would want to see that.

• 47:16Speaker 04

  Thank you.

• 47:16Benito Skinner?

And you sell it and you and John Stamos together.

• 47:18Speaker 04

  And as you said

• 47:19Benito Skinner?

  I get everything I want.

• 47:20Speaker 04

Thank you. I have a smokey eye. I have a brilliant updo. You look really, really good.

• 47:25Benito Skinner?

Smokey eye and updo and definitely be, to me, and that you're, you're giving forward, you're giving post.

• 47:30Speaker 04

Thank you. I was a leader. Yeah, duh.

• 47:32Benito Skinner?

  I love it.

• 47:32Speaker 04

I was the leader of the team. You're a really good player. So obviously I can act. Mm hmm. Which we knew.

• 47:37Benito Skinner?

  No, we, oh, we know.

• 47:38Speaker 04

We know. But yeah, it's been a wonderful day for me and I decided to post to my huge following, 91,000 followers. Hey, those, it's not nothing. It's not nothing.

• 47:48Benito Skinner?

Okay, we'll see you after May 15.

• 47:49Speaker 04

But to, but to see. Let the public know that I love this.

• 47:55Mary Beth Barone?

  Yeah.

• 47:56Speaker 04

  I'm not offended at all.

• 47:57Benito Skinner?

But also, I'm like, whenever that happens in the show is literally for kids. It's like, what do you, it's, you know what I mean? It's like, it's fantastic.

• 48:03Speaker 04

  And you're like saying-

• 48:04Benito Skinner?

  I'm like, what?

• 48:05Speaker 04

Saying someone else's lines, but I'll take credit for it. I own Jordan.

• 48:09Mary Beth Barone?

  Yeah.

• 48:10Speaker 04

  I own the line.

• 48:10Benito Skinner?

And that's his signature fucking shimmy.

• 48:12Speaker 04

  And I did it.

• 48:13Mary Beth Barone?

  Jordan's signature shimmy.

• 48:15Benito Skinner?

I can't wait for you to do it in season two. You know, I gotta give you, oh my God, I gotta give you a basketball.

• 48:20Mary Beth Barone?

  Totally.

• 48:20Speaker 05

Now, love you both so much for bringing such a message of hope and positivity to the podcast.

• 48:24Speaker 04

I try, and I love you both so much.

• 48:26Benito Skinner?

  Can I just say?

• 48:28Mary Beth Barone?

  What?

• 48:28Benito Skinner?

If you're cringe, then I'm cringe and I wanna be cringe. If Nover Locke is cringe, I wanna be cringe. We are so honored to have you. You're our big shot.

• 48:36Speaker 04

  I love.

• 48:37Mary Beth Barone?

  Oh.

• 48:39Benito Skinner?

See that? We should be on E and O's.

• 48:41Mary Beth Barone?

  I know.

• 48:41Benito Skinner?

The roundup, or is that what it's called? I love you so much.

• 48:44Mary Beth Barone?

  Love you.

• 48:45Benito Skinner?

  I know, we love you.

• 48:45Speaker 04

  I don't wanna flash.

• 48:46Mary Beth Barone?

  Send in the next guest.

• 48:48Speaker 05

You're kidding. What about me coming in?

• 48:51Benito Skinner?

  Owen Thiel.

• 48:53Speaker 05

I really wanna wear my sunglasses, cuz I'm so tired. Do it. No, I'm not going.

• 48:56Benito Skinner?

We would never be mad. I got her too.

• 48:58Speaker 05

  It looks crazy.

• 48:59Benito Skinner?

  You're so cute.

• 49:01Speaker 05

  Horrible today.

• 49:02Benito Skinner?

You say that to me every time I see you.

• 49:04Speaker 05

  Wait, no one's-

• 49:05Mary Beth Barone?

  Don't worry about it.

• 49:05Speaker 05

  No one's-

• 49:06Mary Beth Barone?

I mean, we're filming it, but-

• 49:07Speaker 05

  This is crazy, you guys.

• 49:08Benito Skinner?

  This reminds me-

• 49:08Mary Beth Barone?

Owen, Theo, welcome to the podcast.

• 49:10Benito Skinner?

Owen Thiel, this reminds me of In Your Dreams, because I went to your house and you had a full set. And I'm like, Mary Beth and I, we, you know, she's in a detention center and I'm at any podcast studio that'll take me.

• 49:19Speaker 05

  Of course.

• 49:19Benito Skinner?

And you have a full set.

• 49:20Mary Beth Barone?

And I will say, I still haven't been asked to do the pod, which is super interesting.

• 49:23Speaker 05

Can I be honest? I, I've put an ask in.

• 49:27Mary Beth Barone?

  Who there wants-

• 49:28Benito Skinner?

  Hey!

• 49:29Mary Beth Barone?

Who there doesn't want me on? It hasn't been trickled down to me.

• 49:31Speaker 05

Court, sorry, Owen took the spot. Court, go.

• 49:34Mary Beth Barone?

And we're not cutting this, but hey, can I say one thing? If you're not early, you're late. Get out.

• 49:39Speaker 05

Court, I took your spot and I'm so sorry. The other black one.

• 49:44Benito Skinner?

  No.

• 49:45Speaker 05

Wait, this is crazy, you guys. I feel like I'm on a reality TV show.

• 49:48Benito Skinner?

I know, aren't we? It's like entertainment tonight. It's The Hunger Games. It's what's his name? Plutarch.

• 49:53Mary Beth Barone?

  It's Plutarch.

• 49:54Speaker 05

  Wait, I've, I've not seen.

• 49:55Mary Beth Barone?

Don't worry about it. Don't worry about it. Huge commentary on fascism, by the way. But it's fine. Watch it whenever you get a chance.

• 50:01Benito Skinner?

  Suzanne Collins.

• 50:02Mary Beth Barone?

Welcome to the pod. How's your Coachella been?

• 50:04Speaker 05

First of all, I love you guys so much. I'm so happy to be here.

• 50:06Benito Skinner?

Do you remember last night at the guest compound, I was with Owen and we were drinking these, these tequila drinks? I was throwing up in my mouth every five minutes. The acid reflux I had.

• 50:17Speaker 05

  I'm still burping.

• 50:18Benito Skinner?

Well, it was so funny. I was talking to you and then I watched you burp and I thought, oh my God, did Owen just throw up in his mouth? And you go, I just threw up in my mouth.

• 50:23Speaker 05

Wait, okay, so it wasn't happening to me. And then you brought it to my attention and all of a sudden I'm like, having trouble breathing.

• 50:30Mary Beth Barone?

  Contagious.

• 50:30Speaker 05

It was really contagious. And now it's kind of trickled down and now it's going out the other side.

• 50:34Benito Skinner?

  Oh.

• 50:35Speaker 05

  Not shitting, not shitting.

• 50:36Mary Beth Barone?

We don't talk about poop and farts on this podcast.

• 50:38Benito Skinner?

  Oh, I totally hear you.

• 50:39Speaker 05

But what if, but what if it's about me peeing out of my butthole in this very house?

• 50:43Benito Skinner?

Wait, I love this life. Here's the thing. I love this one life.

• 50:46Mary Beth Barone?

  It's not just glamour.

• 50:48Benito Skinner?

  It's not glamour.

• 50:49Mary Beth Barone?

The other side of the coin, which is diarrhea.

• 50:51Speaker 05

We need to talk about that.

• 50:52Benito Skinner?

People think you can't do that in a press look, but they haven't met any drama.

• 50:55Speaker 05

People think that these jeans, come on, just because these jeans fit well and they were tailored. I get my jeans tailored. Do you?

• 51:01Mary Beth Barone?

  Of course.

• 51:01Speaker 05

  Oh, sorry.

• 51:02Benito Skinner?

  Oh, I have.

• 51:02Mary Beth Barone?

  You have to.

• 51:03Benito Skinner?

I have the, I have the big reveal that I have to, I have to do something to the waist because of the butt.

• 51:07Speaker 05

Wait, what do you have to do?

• 51:08Benito Skinner?

I just have to cinch the waist a little bit.

• 51:09Mary Beth Barone?

They put a little dart in it.

• 51:10Benito Skinner?

Thank God I could say that. Thank God that's on camera.

• 51:13Mary Beth Barone?

They can just put a little dart in it.

• 51:13Speaker 05

  But the butt's too big.

• 51:14Mary Beth Barone?

  Too big.

• 51:15Benito Skinner?

  Like that?

• 51:15Speaker 05

But the, but the waist is too thin. Totally. Okay.

• 51:19Benito Skinner?

Wait, I'm so happy you're here. You're literally my favorite person in the world. And these are the two people that I literally, I knew were gonna be in the show from the beginning.

• 51:26Speaker 05

  Ride for?

• 51:27Benito Skinner?

Well, of course I ride for you.

• 51:28Speaker 05

Oh my God, and I'm, I, I always yell. Do you know that about me?

• 51:31Mary Beth Barone?

  No.

• 51:32Speaker 05

  You look stunning.

• 51:33Mary Beth Barone?

  Thanks. Benny did my glam.

• 51:34Speaker 05

  Really? It's amazing.

• 51:35Mary Beth Barone?

Yeah. I mean, what did you think was gonna happen, babe?

• 51:37Benito Skinner?

Hey, can I just say something?

• 51:38Mary Beth Barone?

When he gets a beauty blender near my face, it's, it's always fireworks.

• 51:41Speaker 05

  Totally.

• 51:41Mary Beth Barone?

  Firework, firework.

• 51:42Benito Skinner?

It's, it's firework. It's half magic on the cheeks. And can I say what's the bronzer?

• 51:47Speaker 05

  Westman Atelier. Totally.

• 51:49Benito Skinner?

  I love saying Westman.

• 51:50Speaker 05

Wait, you did my makeup for an event?

• 51:52Benito Skinner?

  I know, so much fun.

• 51:52Speaker 05

  It was amazing.

• 51:53Mary Beth Barone?

  He's really good at it.

• 51:54Speaker 05

  I looked gorgeous.

• 51:55Benito Skinner?

You're kind of my favorite person in the world and you as well. But we're just so happy.

• 51:59Mary Beth Barone?

You can say that because like I know it's like, I know it's just different.

• 52:03Benito Skinner?

  It's just different.

• 52:03Mary Beth Barone?

  It's just different.

• 52:04Benito Skinner?

  I hear you.

• 52:05Mary Beth Barone?

  I don't feel threatened.

• 52:05Speaker 05

No, and I don't feel threatened.

• 52:06Mary Beth Barone?

  No.

• 52:07Benito Skinner?

What do you think the world's gonna do when the three of us, when the script comes out? The script that the three of us are writing?

• 52:12Mary Beth Barone?

I mean, there's just nothing anyone can say.

• 52:14Speaker 05

  No, there's nothing.

• 52:15Benito Skinner?

You don't have any scenes together, do you?

• 52:16Speaker 05

  No.

• 52:17Mary Beth Barone?

  In, in overcompensating?

• 52:18Benito Skinner?

  I don't think so.

• 52:19Mary Beth Barone?

  No.

• 52:20Speaker 05

I'm in the background of one of your scenes and I felt lucky to be there.

• 52:22Mary Beth Barone?

  Oh, please.

• 52:23Speaker 05

I felt lucky. I was standing there watching you being like this. I literally, I was in the background. They were like, they.

• 52:27Mary Beth Barone?

  When?

• 52:28Speaker 05

You, I was storming off. Yes.

• 52:30Mary Beth Barone?

  Oh, I see.

• 52:31Benito Skinner?

Can I just say something? 108.

• 52:32Mary Beth Barone?

  108, and you can.

• 52:34Benito Skinner?

I said 108 recently and someone's like, what is that? And I'm like, the eighth episode, so I guess I can't, I shouldn't do.

• 52:38Speaker 05

  I know, isn't that weird?

• 52:39Mary Beth Barone?

But that's how they number it.

• 52:40Speaker 05

  103, 104.

• 52:41Benito Skinner?

It's a great thing when it's like industry speak.

• 52:43Speaker 05

  Well, it's industry.

• 52:44Benito Skinner?

  It's industry.

• 52:45Speaker 05

Once you're in it, you can't get out.

• 52:46Mary Beth Barone?

You are gay in the show, gay in real life.

• 52:49Speaker 05

  Well.

• 52:50Mary Beth Barone?

  Pretty cool.

• 52:50Speaker 05

  Yeah.

• 52:50Benito Skinner?

  We'll see.

• 52:51Mary Beth Barone?

  How's that going?

• 52:52Speaker 05

  I'm being gay.

• 52:53Mary Beth Barone?

  Yeah.

• 52:53Speaker 05

  Yeah, I'm fun.

• 52:54Mary Beth Barone?

  When did you come out?

• 52:55Speaker 05

I came out really young. Like really young.

• 52:58Benito Skinner?

  That's so powerful.

• 52:59Speaker 05

My mom, that's a flex. I was really lucky. My mom was very supportive. And so she was like, hey, like there's boys that you're gonna be into and then there's girls that you're not. And I was like, probably four.

• 53:10Benito Skinner?

  And.

• 53:11Speaker 05

  I was probably five.

• 53:11Benito Skinner?

Let's have that conversation and say that.

• 53:13Speaker 05

Yeah, she made me gay in a certain way.

• 53:15Mary Beth Barone?

I gotta talk to her because if I ever have a son.

• 53:18Speaker 05

  Thank God. Thank God.

• 53:19Benito Skinner?

I ate Raising Canes last night with your boyfriend.

• 53:22Speaker 05

  How was he?

• 53:23Benito Skinner?

Of tenures. You have a ten, that's.

• 53:24Mary Beth Barone?

Wow, talk about your rules of cheating.

• 53:26Benito Skinner?

Yeah, well, you went home. I'm not gonna talk about it right now.

• 53:31Benito Skinner?

  But I literally.

• 53:34Benito Skinner?

I literally had buttered toast with your lover.

• 53:36Speaker 05

  Wait, how was?

• 53:36Benito Skinner?

Oh, God. But then I ran into Jake Shane, our friend, and I literally, I again threw up in my mouth from this fucking acid reflux margarita. I swear to God, there was one girl at the guest compound who goes, did you give him it? Did you give him it again? Like I could picture them in the back making the drinks going, give him another one.

• 53:53Speaker 05

You know why? I figured it out.

• 53:55Benito Skinner?

  What are you right for?

• 53:56Speaker 05

Oh my God, I've been wanting to, this is, that, that question's insane. Like that's actually in my dreams.

• 54:01Benito Skinner?

In your dreams? In your dreams. Oh, it's always a plug with you, I swear.

• 54:05Mary Beth Barone?

  Businessman, businessman.

• 54:07Speaker 05

Of course, Jergens. No, I'm joking.

• 54:09Mary Beth Barone?

And to that we say, "Saravi."

• 54:11Benito Skinner?

Saravi. You'll see us soon. And tell us what you're up for.

• 54:14Speaker 05

What do I ride for? I kind of have been riding for a pregame recently. Like honestly, like a hot, like a college pregame. I'm sorry. Like, I love it.

• 54:25Benito Skinner?

Oh, you give us an, oh, yeah.

• 54:27Speaker 05

Oh, yeah. I love a pregame. And I love a postgame, honest.

• 54:31Mary Beth Barone?

  I love a postgame, too.

• 54:33Speaker 05

But I don't love the game itself. I'm like, kind of like, unless it's Charli XCX concert or Sabrina Carpenter concert, I'm like, I kind of am done.

• 54:39Mary Beth Barone?

No, it's all about the pregame and the postgame. I love that. Especially in like, as you get older and you go out less, like,

• 54:44Speaker 05

  Totally.

• 54:45Mary Beth Barone?

You want that night out to really last. And so you're pushing into the wee hours of the morning.

• 54:49Benito Skinner?

When you're in my house for a pregame, I'm safe. And remember when I ate cereal at your house?

• 54:54Speaker 05

  Of course, after.

• 54:55Benito Skinner?

  Yeah.

• 54:56Speaker 05

Oh, my God. Benny came over to my house. We were, it was really late.

• 54:59Benito Skinner?

We had just seen A Dark Room for the first time.

• 55:00Speaker 05

So we had just gone to a gay orgy. We did not participate.

• 55:03Benito Skinner?

  Season two.

• 55:04Speaker 05

  Season two, baby. Hey.

• 55:05Mary Beth Barone?

Um, okay, wow. And I, just to paint the picture, I know I was, because I remember. I actually remember being there in spirit. LA does not have good late night delivery.

• 55:14Speaker 05

  No.

• 55:15Mary Beth Barone?

So that's kind of like a huge flaw of the city,

• 55:17Speaker 05

  No, you're right.

• 55:17Mary Beth Barone?

  among other things as well.

• 55:18Speaker 05

You're right, you're right. No, I really, we have to fix that. I, I would love, Well, I am not kidding.

• 55:24Benito Skinner?

  Mm-hmm.

• 55:25Speaker 05

I think we should be in Congress.

• 55:26Mary Beth Barone?

We should open, we should be in Congress and then open a restaurant.

• 55:28Benito Skinner?

  I agree.

• 55:29Speaker 05

  Hundred, in that order.

• 55:30Mary Beth Barone?

  In that order.

• 55:31Benito Skinner?

  Benny's sloppy jokes.

• 55:32Mary Beth Barone?

  Yeah.

• 55:32Speaker 05

Bernie Sanders opening a restaurant, would you go?

• 55:35Benito Skinner?

  Is he?

• 55:36Speaker 05

No, I'm just saying, he could and should.

• 55:38Mary Beth Barone?

Of course, I would do anything he asked of me. Clip that.

• 55:41Benito Skinner?

So, wait, Owen, can you just tell us what we needed for a pregame to make it absolutely splashy and so cool?

• 55:46Speaker 05

Of course. So first of all, I'm gonna be honest. If you have the money, you need a bartender. I'm sorry.

• 55:52Benito Skinner?

Oh, oh, my God, your Christmas party.

• 55:53Mary Beth Barone?

  We're adults.

• 55:54Benito Skinner?

This all hearkens back to your Christmas party, "Christmica."

• 55:57Speaker 05

  Totally.

• 55:58Mary Beth Barone?

Wait, who were the gay guys that did that video where they were like, "What's your pet peeve?" And they said, like, "When someone brings you flowers without a vase."

• 56:05Speaker 05

Wait, by the way, a hundred percent.

• 56:07Mary Beth Barone?

Insisting a pregame has a bartender is very bad. Do not invite me to your adult pregame unless you have someone serving my drinks. And he better be wearing a bowtie.

• 56:14Speaker 05

  I'm sorry.

• 56:15Mary Beth Barone?

And he better be an actor.

• 56:17Benito Skinner?

Oh my God, Tody, he better have read for Peter, or I will not have him near my house.

• 56:23Speaker 05

I really, really want that. I want a hot Peter, almost Peter in my house, making a drink for you guys.

• 56:29Mary Beth Barone?

  A young hopeful.

• 56:30Speaker 05

I'm sorry, I just don't want to make my own drink. I'm too, well, actually, after last night, I might want to make my own.

• 56:34Mary Beth Barone?

But we don't know the measurements. It's a science. Like mixology is a science, and I'm not trying to like.

• 56:37Speaker 05

  Sorry.

• 56:38Benito Skinner?

  I know that if I.

• 56:39Speaker 05

  I dropped out.

• 56:39Benito Skinner?

If I could be so lucky to have a bartender at my house, I would tell him if someone wants to adjust the sweetness of the drink, you have to let them because they're throwing up in their mouths right now.

• 56:48Speaker 05

Totally. Well, you, you have punched some big bowls of stuff, which I love. That's kind of like a bartender.

• 56:55Benito Skinner?

A big old bowl. Do you drink that much, though? I feel like we're like two drink wonders. We're like two drink wonders, I feel.

• 57:00Speaker 05

After two drinks, yikes, I'm blacked in a mouth. I am, whoa. I'm like zooming up to the sky, dude. I don't talk to me after two drinks.

• 57:08Mary Beth Barone?

You will spill tea when you've had two drinks, I feel.

• 57:11Benito Skinner?

Oh, well, last night, he was in a turtleneck, so I knew you'd say anything.

• 57:13Speaker 05

  Yeah, it was 102 degrees.

• 57:15Benito Skinner?

I know, and you were in the cutest little shorts on.

• 57:17Mary Beth Barone?

  Okay, so bartender, what else?

• 57:18Speaker 05

So cutie. Okay, bartender, fuck, this is kind of, I actually like a small pregame.

• 57:23Mary Beth Barone?

  Totally intimate.

• 57:25Benito Skinner?

  Connections with.

• 57:26Mary Beth Barone?

And the bartender has to sign an NDA, because you might hear everything that we said.

• 57:29Speaker 05

And so does everyone walking in.

• 57:30Benito Skinner?

You know, Emma Chamberlain's got that mouth on her.

• 57:32Speaker 05

  Of course.

• 57:34Mary Beth Barone?

She's going all the way off on everyone.

• 57:36Speaker 05

Of course, of course. She's yelling at people right in the lap.

• 57:38Benito Skinner?

This is so me telling Terry, you were on fire last night. You have to do this to Jared.

• 57:42Speaker 05

  What?

• 57:42Benito Skinner?

Every time to Terry, if we go to like a super calm, like chill dinner, the morning after, I say, you were on fire last night. You're just singers.

• 57:49Mary Beth Barone?

  No matter what.

• 57:50Speaker 05

  I love that.

• 57:51Mary Beth Barone?

So all you need for Owen to have a good time at your pregame is a bartender and not that many people.

• 57:55Speaker 05

Yeah, eight people, eight people, a bartender and NDA.

• 57:57Mary Beth Barone?

  And NDAs, legal documents.

• 57:59Speaker 05

I actually won't say that much, but I want you to.

• 58:02Mary Beth Barone?

You will say, you won't say that much, but what you do say really sticks with you. And I'm thinking of a specific thing that you said one time.

• 58:08Speaker 05

  Wait, say that.

• 58:08Mary Beth Barone?

That I am going to start beef over, but not yet.

• 58:10Speaker 05

  Okay, okay.

• 58:10Mary Beth Barone?

Not with you either, with the person that said it.

• 58:12Speaker 05

Oh, 100. Wait, and also, yeah.

• 58:15Benito Skinner?

Keep all this. Hey, keep all this.

• 58:16Mary Beth Barone?

I'm ready to keep all this.

• 58:17Speaker 05

And also, don't invite him to your pregame.

• 58:19Mary Beth Barone?

And we, and we absolutely won't.

• 58:20Speaker 05

  Hey, cut that.

• 58:21Mary Beth Barone?

So thank you so much, Owen.

• 58:23Benito Skinner?

We love you, Owen, more than anything in the world.

• 58:25Speaker 05

Can I just sit here all day?

• 58:26Benito Skinner?

We'll do a full episode as, like, this feels, yeah.

• 58:29Mary Beth Barone?

And whenever you're ready to have me on your podcast, just let me know.

• 58:32Speaker 05

  I ask my agents.

• 58:32Mary Beth Barone?

  Just let me know.

• 58:33Speaker 05

No, no, I do have to, I do have to actually confront Carol Albert.

• 58:36Benito Skinner?

What about this? Ride in your dreams. Go. That's enough, bestie.

• 58:40Mary Beth Barone?

  Send in court.

• 58:42Benito Skinner?

  I break it.

• 58:43Mary Beth Barone?

  Court.

• 58:43Benito Skinner?

  Sorry, I yelled.

• 58:44Speaker 06

  Court, we've been waiting.

• 58:46Benito Skinner?

  I love you guys.

• 58:46Speaker 06

  I love you so much.

• 58:47Benito Skinner?

  Get in here.

• 58:48Mary Beth Barone?

Close the door, get in here.

• 58:49Speaker 06

  Yes.

• 58:50Benito Skinner?

  Court.

• 58:52Speaker 06

We talk about you so much on the pod.

• 58:54Benito Skinner?

  Where's your cameras?

• 58:55Mary Beth Barone?

  All the time.

• 58:56Benito Skinner?

  Here.

• 58:56Mary Beth Barone?

  The camera loves this kid.

• 58:57Benito Skinner?

  Hi, Barone. They have.

• 59:00Mary Beth Barone?

  Okay.

• 59:00Benito Skinner?

  This is court reveal.

• 59:01Mary Beth Barone?

  Yeah, court, huge court reveal.

• 59:03Benito Skinner?

  Huge court reveal.

• 59:04Speaker 06

  Can't feel my legs.

• 59:05Mary Beth Barone?

You have to, yeah, this is perfect. So, how are you? You actually listen to the podcast, which is.

• 59:10Speaker 06

You have no idea how excited I am to be on this podcast. Right now, my heart is beating so fast.

• 59:15Benito Skinner?

  This makes me so happy.

• 59:16Mary Beth Barone?

  I know.

• 59:16Speaker 06

I listen to the podcast almost every night when I'm going to sleep. Every day when I take a shower, I listen to this and I listen to The Town. So, very industry focused and then I get like.

• 59:26Benito Skinner?

  It's those two things.

• 59:27Speaker 06

  Yeah.

• 59:27Mary Beth Barone?

  It's yin and yang.

• 59:28Benito Skinner?

It's those make Courtney Moore. Courtney.

• 59:31Mary Beth Barone?

So, let's talk about your name. Let's talk about your name.

• 59:33Speaker 06

  Okay, talk about my name.

• 59:34Mary Beth Barone?

We quickly, we quickly got you a nickname on set, which was Court. But I feel like you don't like it.

• 59:38Benito Skinner?

And I said CC every now and then.

• 59:40Mary Beth Barone?

But you don't like it. And I feel bad.

• 59:42Speaker 06

Court is good if I really like you. So like if I meet somebody and then they say.

• 59:47Benito Skinner?

  Lucky for us.

• 59:48Speaker 06

  Like if they just like.

• 59:48Mary Beth Barone?

  Too soon.

• 59:49Speaker 06

Yeah, yeah, yeah. It's like an immediate kind of your ex out of my life forever.

• 59:52Benito Skinner?

That was me with Benny, but then the show, so kind of cat out of the bag on that one.

• 59:55Speaker 06

And then now when I call you Ben, I feel like it's like a little secret.

• 59:58Benito Skinner?

That's when it gets a little.

• 59:59Mary Beth Barone?

I have different, it's Ben, Benito or Benny to me. I really just, it depends on the day.

• 1:00:03Benito Skinner?

It's just your mood, your vibe.

• 1:00:05Speaker 06

  Wait, what do you prefer?

• 1:00:06Benito Skinner?

I have no preference, which really pisses people off. And I'm like, don't put that on me. I just don't care. It's like, I love, I love all the sides of me.

• 1:00:12Speaker 06

  It's like a little roulette.

• 1:00:13Benito Skinner?

On set, we had a lot of fun. You're so good at the kid voice.

• 1:00:16Mary Beth Barone?

  Yeah, we had.

• 1:00:17Speaker 06

  Oh, my God.

• 1:00:19Mary Beth Barone?

Whoa, I've never seen that side of you.

• 1:00:21Benito Skinner?

  Poisoned his brain.

• 1:00:22Mary Beth Barone?

  I've never seen you.

• 1:00:22Speaker 06

We have poison in his brain.

• 1:00:23Benito Skinner?

  Sexy like suave side.

• 1:00:25Mary Beth Barone?

  Totally sexy suave.

• 1:00:26Benito Skinner?

And hey, right now, he's actor locked in.

• 1:00:28Mary Beth Barone?

As I go, as I go crisscross applesauce.

• 1:00:31Speaker 06

  Yeah, yeah.

• 1:00:31Mary Beth Barone?

So, what do you ride for?

• 1:00:33Speaker 06

What do I ride for? I wanted to come on the ride and say I ride for saunas because.

• 1:00:37Mary Beth Barone?

You want to tell that story?

• 1:00:38Speaker 06

I think, I don't know. There is something.

• 1:00:40Mary Beth Barone?

Or do you not want to tell that story?

• 1:00:42Speaker 06

We can tell the story, but I think I would allow you guys to, to lead.

• 1:00:46Mary Beth Barone?

  Pre-inaction.

• 1:00:46Benito Skinner?

You want me to lead this story?

• 1:00:48Speaker 06

  And bring us through.

• 1:00:48Mary Beth Barone?

Can I play Court and you play the other person? Or do you want to play Court?

• 1:00:52Benito Skinner?

Court, this is a role I have wanted my whole life. I would, and say on any other day, I'd let you have this part.

• 1:00:57Speaker 06

Well, can I just say that people say we look alike?

• 1:00:59Mary Beth Barone?

And so, oh, sorry. I meant to bring you on as Benny Thomas look alike.

• 1:01:05Benito Skinner?

  Benny Drama Six.

• 1:01:06Mary Beth Barone?

  Benny Drama Six.

• 1:01:07Benito Skinner?

  Storyline. You'll love it.

• 1:01:08Mary Beth Barone?

  Yeah.

• 1:01:08Benito Skinner?

Okay, so Court's telling us this story one time.

• 1:01:11Mary Beth Barone?

Wait, wait, wait, though. Sometimes you'll be in a situation at a pregame, for example.

• 1:01:15Benito Skinner?

  Yes.

• 1:01:15Mary Beth Barone?

And a straight guy has the floor and you just simply could never know what they're gonna say. And I don't remember how we got on this topic. I don't remember why you wanted to talk, just like totally out of the blue, it seems. And so this is then this is what we were told.

• 1:01:28Benito Skinner?

I think we got into this conversation because I said, when I go to get a massage at a random place, I would love it if there was just like maybe one like little vibe I could give of like, don't touch my asshole.

• 1:01:39Mary Beth Barone?

  Yeah.

• 1:01:39Benito Skinner?

And it just, I'm truly here for the massage. But if you do that, like, and you offer that, that's amazing. I just don't personally want it. But, and then you're like, totally like saunas. And then we started talking. And so Court's telling me this story of one time he was in a sauna and he's like, this guy came on to me and Court is.

• 1:01:58Speaker 06

  I'm sorry.

• 1:01:59Mary Beth Barone?

So he's barking up the wrong tree.

• 1:02:00Benito Skinner?

This is the big moment where we say, and hey, they've been new. But here's the thing, Court's talking about being in the sauna. He's like, yeah, this guy came on to me. And I was like, oh, you know, it's like, I guess maybe like sauna culture.

• 1:02:12Mary Beth Barone?

  And it is sauna culture.

• 1:02:13Benito Skinner?

It is sauna culture in a lot of ways. And you're like, yeah, you know, it was like, and I was just trying to make some like conversation.

• 1:02:18Speaker 06

  Yeah.

• 1:02:18Benito Skinner?

  And I was thinking, huh.

• 1:02:21Mary Beth Barone?

  What did you say?

• 1:02:22Benito Skinner?

  I don't really talk when I enter a sauna.

• 1:02:23Speaker 06

Well, look, you enter a room and it's just, you look, I was by myself.

• 1:02:28Mary Beth Barone?

So Court was by himself in the sauna and another gentleman enters the sauna and Court goes, and this is exactly what he did. He threw his head back and he.

• 1:02:35Benito Skinner?

  Ready?

• 1:02:35Mary Beth Barone?

His hand was facing down and he was going down his body. And he goes like this. He goes.

• 1:02:40Benito Skinner?

  Fuck, it's hot in here.

• 1:02:43Speaker 06

  I did. I did not.

• 1:02:45Benito Skinner?

And it echoed. That's why I did that.

• 1:02:46Mary Beth Barone?

  Yeah.

• 1:02:47Benito Skinner?

  It echoed.

• 1:02:47Mary Beth Barone?

  Oh.

• 1:02:48Benito Skinner?

  Fuck, it's hot in here.

• 1:02:49Speaker 06

  In here.

• 1:02:50Benito Skinner?

And you go, yeah, it's so weird. And then he was like, you're driving us all crazy.

• 1:02:54Speaker 06

  No, you're forgetting so much.

• 1:02:57Mary Beth Barone?

But then, but then the smoke cleared a little bit and all these eyes opened in the sauna. And there were like 20 people in there. You didn't even know where they were.

• 1:03:04Benito Skinner?

Literally all of a sudden he was in the WeHo Equinox.

• 1:03:06Mary Beth Barone?

  That's what I picture. That's what I picture.

• 1:03:07Benito Skinner?

  Snow white.

• 1:03:08Mary Beth Barone?

Everyone had their eyes closed, but when they opened them, you could see them.

• 1:03:10Benito Skinner?

  You were snow white.

• 1:03:11Mary Beth Barone?

  Yeah.

• 1:03:12Speaker 06

  Where am I?

• 1:03:13Mary Beth Barone?

So what was it? What was the in between? Because I just kind of don't remember.

• 1:03:15Speaker 06

Look, first of all, I have to just clear my name. I didn't know anything about the sauna etiquette or anything like that. I was at the gym that I'd gone to in Toronto, which is where I'm from.

• 1:03:24Benito Skinner?

  Dog pound.

• 1:03:25Speaker 06

Yeah, I was at the dog pound.

• 1:03:27Mary Beth Barone?

  Yeah.

• 1:03:27Speaker 06

And I would, look, it was a big ass room. I was by myself and this day was particularly hot.

• 1:03:34Benito Skinner?

  It was hot in there.

• 1:03:34Speaker 06

And like I said, I ride for saunas. I think they're a great place to meditate, to think, to like, you know, go through conversations before you talk to your manager or your mom or something. If it's like a.

• 1:03:43Benito Skinner?

  Manager first, mom second.

• 1:03:45Speaker 06

Yeah, manager first, mom second. You're always saying that.

• 1:03:47Benito Skinner?

  Yeah, of course.

• 1:03:48Speaker 06

Anyway, so it was, it was particularly hot and I was by myself in there and then some gentleman comes in, you know, because he's riding for saunas too. And he sits like quite close to me. So I'm like, okay, like, I'm not going to ignore him. And I go.

• 1:04:01Mary Beth Barone?

  That would be rude.
