• 0:19Mary Beth Barone?

Hey, can you come pick me up? Yeah, what's wrong? Nothing. Are you sure? Yeah, no, I just need a ride. Ride, ride. Oh, my God. So why, I just wanna have fun. Start your engines. Take that.

• 0:30Benito Skinner?

  I'm Benito Skinner.

• 0:31Mary Beth Barone?

  I'm Mary Beth Brown.

• 0:33Benito Skinner?

  And this.

• 0:33Mary Beth Barone?

  Is.

• 0:34Benito Skinner?

  Ride.

• 0:38Benito Skinner?

  Ready, Jackson?

• 0:41Mary Beth Barone?

  Are you gonna read it?

• 0:42Benito Skinner?

Yeah, I have to read an excerpt from Dante's Inferno. "I just know with certainty that the new show isn't going to be funny. Your style of humor won't translate to long form. Enjoy these press opportunities while they last and make the most of them. If anything, they'll make the podcast audience bigger? Dot, dot, dot, question mark? Is there still a podcast? Terry, stop making fake accounts."

• 1:06Mary Beth Barone?

Terry, we know this is your burner.

• 1:08Benito Skinner?

Hey, there are easier ways to say, "You're Terry." I just can't believe people talk to me like that. That's so Dante's Inferno coded. We'll talk about it later.

• 1:17Mary Beth Barone?

But I like, and what I said offline was that I like that they commented and they didn't DM it because I think it's important for people to see the type of like stuff that people say to us.

• 1:26Benito Skinner?

I'm just like, also, we're talking about like how you think my comedy will like translate to long form? What?

• 1:33Mary Beth Barone?

Okay, someone is [BLEEP] sleep it.

• 1:35Benito Skinner?

It's 11 a.m. I, I really, sometimes when I read comments like that, I'm like, I don't think I've ever cared about anything like this.

• 1:43Mary Beth Barone?

No, not enough to create a new account with zero followers and then comment that on someone's post.

• 1:47Benito Skinner?

I'm just like, what? And like, well, of course, there's a podcast, I'm doing it.

• 1:51Mary Beth Barone?

  Literally.

• 1:51Benito Skinner?

I'm not giving voice to them, like, I'm not saying the handle, but, because it's, I mean, I'm just like, what?

• 1:56Mary Beth Barone?

I'm responding to my ops this year. I am, because the whole like thought of like, don't give them more airtime or don't give them the time of day. I'm like, no, no, no, I'm gonna put you at the forefront if you wanna come for me like that.

• 2:07Benito Skinner?

Oh, fuck, it's kinda making me wanna cry.

• 2:10Mary Beth Barone?

  Babe, that, that comment?

• 2:12Benito Skinner?

  Yeah.

• 2:12Mary Beth Barone?

  Why?

• 2:13Benito Skinner?

Oh my God, I don't know why.

• 2:14Mary Beth Barone?

But you know that that's not.

• 2:16Benito Skinner?

It's just like, God, it's like, people are so mean. Okay. Okay, no, we're okay. I'm just like, God, I can't believe you say that to me. Like, if you knew me, I don't think you'd say that. And also, like, you're wrong. It's fabulous, and it translates to long form, actually, like,

• 2:27Mary Beth Barone?

  Like beautifully.

• 2:27Benito Skinner?

Beautifully than you can even imagine. And I love my podcast. And you know what? I have a really nice time at these press opportunities because press is press.

• 2:35Mary Beth Barone?

Press is press, and you have a good heart, and people have so much hate in their hearts.

• 2:39Benito Skinner?

I know. And I'm just like, my God, I can't believe you say things like that. And then I get, oh, my God, no, I don't want to. I don't want to. I just start to think like, oh, my God, if anyone says stuff like that to my nieces or nephews, I'm gonna have to.

• 2:51Mary Beth Barone?

I can't even think about that. I can't think about it. I know.

• 2:54Benito Skinner?

Please don't be, don't be public figures.

• 2:56Mary Beth Barone?

  Don't be public figures.

• 2:58Benito Skinner?

  Promise me one thing.

• 2:59Mary Beth Barone?

  Heed our warning.

• 3:00Benito Skinner?

I'll buy you a Chanel bag if you promise.

• 3:02Mary Beth Barone?

To not be a public figure. I know.

• 3:04Benito Skinner?

Me to your kids, anything you want.

• 3:06Mary Beth Barone?

  Just not that.

• 3:06Benito Skinner?

Choose any bag. You can get a coat even, a leather coat.

• 3:10Mary Beth Barone?

  Leather. Authentic, vintage.

• 3:13Benito Skinner?

Whatever you want. You pick it. Just don't. Okay, yeah, no, it's fine. We're lucky. And if that's the worst I get. I always said, like, I thought that our jobs are the only jobs that have that, but someone did write Mrs. Skinner is a bitch on a hall in my mom's, the school she was PE teaching in. So that was the first hate tweet.

• 3:31Mary Beth Barone?

  That's hate. It's hate. It's hate.

• 3:33Benito Skinner?

  Okay, I'm fine. Sorry.

• 3:34Mary Beth Barone?

People have so much access to us, like, to reach us online.

• 3:37Benito Skinner?

  And I didn't mean to.

• 3:37Mary Beth Barone?

And so you just opened your post and you just saw that.

• 3:39Benito Skinner?

I was just, I was literally just like, gonna respond to someone who had said something very sweet. And I was like, in that, and then that alert came up. And I'm like, oh, I wish that there was some,

• 3:50Benito Skinner?

AI should kind of figure that out.

• 3:51Mary Beth Barone?

Well, there's no justice. There's no justice.

• 3:55Benito Skinner?

  No, there's no justice.

• 3:56Mary Beth Barone?

Did you see Sydney Sweeney's video after some, like, bikini paparazzi pics went viral of her? Because she's like, she's in a movie where she's playing a bodybuilder or something. So like, her body type sort of changed.

• 4:06Benito Skinner?

  Yeah.

• 4:07Mary Beth Barone?

And people wrote the most hateful things about her when these photos came out. She literally made a reel that was all the comments. And then her training for this movie. And it was like so Fita and so Tika. And I just think like, no, we shouldn't be just like letting these people say this shit to us with no, like, recourse. A turf made a video because I have that joke about how there's all. Turfs are just hideously ugly and they don't get to comment on like femininity or womanhood because they're all so fucking disgusting. And this turf who's a man, a male turf, made a response video on Twitter. And all of his little followers were like saying that I made my Twitter private because of the video, which wasn't true. It had it had been private for a long time. And now it's completely deleted.

• 4:50Mary Beth Barone?

But I had screenshotted the video because it's truly one of the ugliest people I've ever seen. And I was sitting on it being like, should I post about this or just let it roll off my back? And I said, you know what? Fuck you. I'm posting it. And I did, and I made a TikTok and it made a lot of people laugh.

• 5:04Benito Skinner?

So here's the thing, I think, yeah, it's a little bit more fight to now. I'm like, maybe we're taking this laying down and I'm done.

• 5:11Mary Beth Barone?

Take your ops and turn them into opportunities. That's the, that's project 2025.

• 5:15Benito Skinner?

  Enter media.

• 5:17Mary Beth Barone?

  Clip that.

• 5:18Benito Skinner?

Look right down the barrel at the viewer.

• 5:19Mary Beth Barone?

So it's, it's important for people to see like what we go through in a day. And, and by the way, by choice.

• 5:26Benito Skinner?

Drinks from Mountain Valley. Yeah, I do say that every time in the mirror, every morning I go, you did choose this. But I love creating things. It's just like, my God, to say all that to me. Also, you must be familiar with the humor. This means that my short form did work on you.

• 5:40Mary Beth Barone?

  It was landing.

• 5:41Benito Skinner?

  I just, it's crazy.

• 5:42Mary Beth Barone?

You're actually complimenting me in a way.

• 5:43Benito Skinner?

  So insane.

• 5:44Mary Beth Barone?

I want to play something, a sound clip from CNN, but it's a minute long, so maybe I won't.

• 5:49Benito Skinner?

  Totally.

• 5:49Mary Beth Barone?

  Should I play it?

• 5:50Benito Skinner?

  What is it?

• 5:51Mary Beth Barone?

So it was after the Zelensky meeting.

• 5:53Benito Skinner?

  Okay, yeah.

• 5:54Mary Beth Barone?

And I just thought to me, like, the library is open.

• 5:57Benito Skinner?

  Yeah.

• 5:57Mary Beth Barone?

  Are you ready?

• 5:58Benito Skinner?

  Of course.

• 6:00Speaker 02

Guys ramble on and on about this. Let's just cut to the chase. The President of the United States is a coward who is Vladimir Putin's puppet. The Vice President of the United States is a pogue and a coward who is Donald Trump's puppet. And so what we just witnessed was a meeting in the Oval Office between two cowardly puppets and a hero.

• 6:26Speaker 02

And whether you voted for these puppets or not, just as an American, as a fellow American, it's just embarrassing that the only hero in the Oval Office, the only decent human being for that matter, is the Ukrainian. I mean, this administration is going to go down as an embarrassment to American history.

• 6:50Mary Beth Barone?

  Can you believe?

• 6:50Benito Skinner?

He wore little Chanel glasses while he said that.

• 6:53Mary Beth Barone?

And he, and he, he put them down on his nose a little bit. And he said, reading is fundamental.

• 7:01Mary Beth Barone?

You can feel like shit and someone in a basement can make you feel like total shit. And your best, he can bring you out of the ashes.

• 7:09Benito Skinner?

  Dante's Inferno.

• 7:10Mary Beth Barone?

I watched that video. I literally, I screen recorded it because I was so obsessed. I'm so obsessed.

• 7:15Benito Skinner?

I saw, I have to post this one TikTok. This woman was like, if you look like a she, I'm gonna say she. If you look like a he, I'm gonna say he. And then this girl clips it and goes, hi, sir.

• 7:33Benito Skinner?

I gasped. I, I had my sulfur mask on because you know sulfur is working.

• 7:37Mary Beth Barone?

It's the, it's the big new thing.

• 7:39Benito Skinner?

It's the big new, I smell like rotten eggs, but my god.

• 7:42Mary Beth Barone?

But god, your skin is good.

• 7:43Benito Skinner?

Oh my god. And you know what? It's a classic. With the good comes the bad. And it's a less, another life lesson.

• 7:49Mary Beth Barone?

  It's balance.

• 7:50Benito Skinner?

It's balance. It's everything in moderation, it's balance. But oh my god, I had my sulfur mask on. I laughed for 20, hi, sir.

• 7:56Mary Beth Barone?

  Hi, sir.

• 7:57Benito Skinner?

She just fucking read her down. TikTok is, you know what? I've decided TikTok's a good place.

• 8:03Mary Beth Barone?

I agree. And I saw a TikTok that someone had said like, because people are commenting now, especially with the like Republican makeup tutorials being like, oh, the party of love and tolerance. And someone was like, I don't owe you shit. We're tolerant and we want to lift up people who have been oppressed. We, we're not ever saying we were going to be nice to you, people that we disagree with.

• 8:22Benito Skinner?

  You're attacking marginalized communities.

• 8:23Mary Beth Barone?

  Exactly, exactly.

• 8:24Benito Skinner?

Like, it's absolutely insane. Why would I respect you? I don't.

• 8:27Mary Beth Barone?

And, and by the way, I can say whatever the fuck I want.

• 8:30Benito Skinner?

You! Clip that. Come on, girl.

• 8:33Mary Beth Barone?

I can say whatever the fuck I want.

• 8:35Benito Skinner?

Yeah, and so, and God, I'm tired.

• 8:38Mary Beth Barone?

Yeah, so just know that there's people out there, that was a rep from Massachusetts, who was just like on CNN, sort of commenting on the situation.

• 8:45Benito Skinner?

  Just vibing off.

• 8:46Mary Beth Barone?

And I was just like, that's fucking sick that he said that. That's actually crazy and I fucking love that. You know who you should follow, everybody right now?

• 8:54Benito Skinner?

He logged off and had a steak for eats, sorry.

• 8:56Mary Beth Barone?

  Oh, for sure.

• 8:56Benito Skinner?

I saw his whole night after that.

• 8:57Mary Beth Barone?

  In DC.

• 8:58Benito Skinner?

  Yeah.

• 8:58Mary Beth Barone?

He said, "I fucking tore." In that interview.

• 9:01Benito Skinner?

And honey, meaty and rare, with ketchup and a chili on the side.

• 9:05Mary Beth Barone?

  Yeah, I read them, Sappel.

• 9:07Benito Skinner?

He was wearing boots when he did that.

• 9:09Mary Beth Barone?

Jasmine Crockett, she's a United States representative, and she is from Texas's 30th congressional district. Every single clip I see of her going viral, talking about white man's tears, talking about why can't Republicans admit that Russia invaded Ukraine, talking, oh, she was the one that they said, "What would you say to Elon Musk right now?" She goes, "Fuck off."

• 9:28Benito Skinner?

Oh, I do, oh my God, I do know her.

• 9:30Mary Beth Barone?

  She is so totally fabulous.

• 9:32Benito Skinner?

And, oh my God, that is so Taika, Taika Button.

• 9:35Mary Beth Barone?

  Taika Button.

• 9:35Benito Skinner?

  Taika Button. Fuck off.

• 9:37Mary Beth Barone?

Yeah, she goes, "Can one of my Republican colleagues admit right now that Russia invaded Ukraine?" Silence, she goes, "I yield my time."

• 9:46Benito Skinner?

  Oh, she has.

• 9:48Mary Beth Barone?

  She's coming for it.

• 9:49Benito Skinner?

  F I G H U T U H H U H.

• 9:56Mary Beth Barone?

So Jasmine Crockett, Chris Murphy from Connecticut, AOC, Bernie Sanders, that's my Mount Rushmore of Democrats right now.

• 10:02Benito Skinner?

  And Monica.

• 10:03Mary Beth Barone?

  And Monica Barbary.

• 10:05Benito Skinner?

  Not her name.

• 10:06Mary Beth Barone?

Who, by the way, like, I actually think she's a fabulous actress.

• 10:09Benito Skinner?

She is a fabulous actress. And you should play sisters.

• 10:11Mary Beth Barone?

I agree, Top Gun, and then, of course, A Complete Unknown. And you know what? Can I say another thing? Fabulous red carpet style.

• 10:18Benito Skinner?

Oh, totally. She wore this red dress that fits so gorgeously on her, it was to the SAGs.

• 10:23Mary Beth Barone?

  Yeah, she's just.

• 10:23Benito Skinner?

  One of my press opportunities.

• 10:25Mary Beth Barone?

Hey, enjoy it while it lasts.

• 10:27Benito Skinner?

Hey, I'll try to make the best of it. And you know what? I have been. I've had a really nice time.

• 10:34Mary Beth Barone?

Welcome, welcome back to Ride Heritage.

• 10:35Benito Skinner?

Welcome back to Ride Heritage. This is just for the kids.

• 10:39Mary Beth Barone?

  This week's episode is so-

• 10:40Benito Skinner?

These are as ride as ride gets.

• 10:42Mary Beth Barone?

So this week, I am going to be riding for Kelly Rohrbach's Instagram.

• 10:47Benito Skinner?

This is so crazy to me.

• 10:48Mary Beth Barone?

  And I'm going first.

• 10:50Benito Skinner?

And I will be riding for Dante's Inferno. Welcome to hell.

• 10:55Mary Beth Barone?

Welcome to hell. Let's get into it. Hello and welcome to the ads. I am coming to you live from the family room at my parents' house. Pinky is asleep on a chair next to me. When was the last time you needed to go to a doctor, but you pushed it off? You made an excuse, "I'm too busy, it'll heal on its own, I don't need help, or I don't know which doctor to go to." I think we've all been there. Booking a doctor appointment can just feel so daunting, but thanks to Zocdoc, a product I literally use all the time, there is no reason to delay. They make it so easy to find a doctor and book who's right for you. Have you ever woken up with like a funky symptom, like a swollen itchy eye, or a rash, or tight pain in your neck, even a persistent cold that won't go away, and immediately searched it on Google or TikTok to see what's wrong? We've all gone down that rabbit hole, but it's time to get the help you really need with Zocdoc. Zocdoc is a free app and website where you can search and compare high-quality in-network doctors

and click instantly to book an appointment. We're talking about booking in-network appointments with more than 100,000 doctors across every specialty. From mental health to dental health, primary care to urgent care and more. I have used Zocdoc so many times, especially in New York City, or even LA when I'm traveling. I had a cavity one time when I was out in LA working on an indie movie, and I was so nervous because I didn't have my dentist who's in Fairfield, my family dentist that I still have in Fairfield, Connecticut. So I found someone in LA who was totally fabulous. He filled it for me and, I mean, my tooth, it's like you never would know a single thing happened to it. • 14:12Mary Beth Barone?

That's z-o-c-d-o-c dot com slash ride. zocdoc dot com slash ride.

• 14:21Mary Beth Barone?

  Wait, where are we going?

• 14:22Benito Skinner?

  Who cares? Ride!

• 14:24Mary Beth Barone?

So, a few years ago, I don't even know what year it was, that Sports Illustrated Swimsuit had launched the career of a gorgeous blonde from Connecticut, I believe.

• 14:36Benito Skinner?

  From Greenwich.

• 14:37Mary Beth Barone?

From Greenwich, who went to Georgetown to play golf.

• 14:40Benito Skinner?

  With my sister Katie.

• 14:41Mary Beth Barone?

  With your sister.

• 14:41Benito Skinner?

  Yeah.

• 14:42Mary Beth Barone?

Who later went on to star in the movie Baywatch, which is one of my favorite movies. My favorite blockbuster of the last probably 15 years, maybe longer.

• 14:50Benito Skinner?

I can only imagine the bucket they would have sold for that. Speaking of which, I was at my favorite Cinemark, North Hollywood, seeing Companion, which you have to see, I loved it so much.

• 14:58Mary Beth Barone?

It's available on streaming, by the way. I mean, support theaters, but if you can't, then stream it.

• 15:03Benito Skinner?

There was a Hulk, but he was red, which I think is Harrison Ford's Hulk. Holding this huge rock that was what you would get popcorn in. Terry went to the bathroom. I, I was this close to getting that and going, hey, here's your popcorn.

• 15:20Mary Beth Barone?

  The rock bowl.

• 15:20Benito Skinner?

Just to see what his face was, but I just, I didn't have the energy. Cause I'm seeing fucking shit like that on the internet.

• 15:25Mary Beth Barone?

You're battling, you're battling bullies on the internet.

• 15:29Benito Skinner?

  Literally. Oh my God.

• 15:31Mary Beth Barone?

So Kelly Warbuck burst on the scene, needless to say.

• 15:34Benito Skinner?

  She really did, yeah.

• 15:35Mary Beth Barone?

She burst on the scene and she was one of the most famous people in the world for that time. Like she was everywhere. She was an incredible model and an athlete ultimately and an actress.

• 15:46Benito Skinner?

  And dated Leo.

• 15:47Mary Beth Barone?

Maybe dated Leo. I can't remember.

• 15:49Benito Skinner?

I believe that she dated Leonardo DiCaprio.

• 15:51Mary Beth Barone?

  So her Instagram.

• 15:52Benito Skinner?

If you didn't know his full name.

• 15:53Mary Beth Barone?

Leonardo DiCaprio. Yeah. Not any of the other ones that you might've been thinking of.

• 15:56Benito Skinner?

No, of course. Leo Woodall. Everyone went, she dated Leo Woodall. Yeah.

• 16:00Mary Beth Barone?

So she has 9.6 million Instagram followers, 529 posts.

• 16:05Benito Skinner?

And boy, is she activating them.

• 16:07Mary Beth Barone?

So November 25th, 2018 is the last time she posted.

• 16:12Benito Skinner?

Well, she knew COVID was coming.

• 16:13Mary Beth Barone?

She knew COVID was coming and she said, I have to get out of here.

• 16:15Benito Skinner?

  Yeah.

• 16:16Mary Beth Barone?

So what I love about her Instagram is that it's truly like you have gone into a time machine and gone back to the 2010s, the 2010s.

• 16:25Benito Skinner?

Is, Jackson, are you looking at it right now?

• 16:27Mary Beth Barone?

You have to pull this up because, okay, can I just tell you some of the posts that are on this Instagram?

• 16:31Benito Skinner?

  Yeah, and captions.

• 16:32Mary Beth Barone?

First of all, the filters that are being used are transporting me to another era. There is a post from March 5th, 2018. It is a boomerang of her in a red gown after the Vanity Fair Oscar party. And she's just doing a little dance with her arms, a little dance number. And it's the dancing emoji and it says inspo. So that's one thing.

• 16:53Benito Skinner?

Uh huh. Oh, we all used to love that dancer emoji. She does not get the love she used to. She was, oh my God, she must, it's been tough. It's been tough for her ever since 2017 ended.

• 17:02Mary Beth Barone?

Yeah, there are relics of her impact.

• 17:04Benito Skinner?

  Of course.

• 17:05Mary Beth Barone?

There's a post from October 29th, 2018 where she is wearing a helicopter headset or like a plane headset. And it says, Roger that, clear the runway. I'm flying this hog today with three emojis. Hashtag first flying lesson, plane emoji.

• 17:18Benito Skinner?

Wait, she said hog? You know, that's my favorite word lately.

• 17:20Mary Beth Barone?

  I know.

• 17:20Benito Skinner?

Can you show me it? I need to see it. This I gotta see. Oh my God.

• 17:26Mary Beth Barone?

  Yeah.

• 17:27Benito Skinner?

Also, remember when like just one photo was all it took?

• 17:30Mary Beth Barone?

Yeah, and remember when you just posted and it didn't have to be like glam? It didn't have to be high-res images? It could just be like a picture of you going about your day with a filter on it.

• 17:40Benito Skinner?

  She had incredible engagement.

• 17:42Mary Beth Barone?

It's so pure. Everything about it is so pure.

• 17:44Benito Skinner?

Look at her at Grand Canyon National Park. Hashtag yacht life, but she's not on a yacht.

• 17:49Mary Beth Barone?

No, and, and it's just like, everything about it. Here's, here's a boomerang of her in a white, in a white jumpsuit with a purple wig on.

• 17:57Benito Skinner?

Show me that, that's a birthday party.

• 17:58Mary Beth Barone?

And then there's another picture of her in the same outfit and it says, "Night Fever, Night Fever."

• 18:03Benito Skinner?

Like she says night fever and then hashtag night fever?

• 18:05Mary Beth Barone?

No, just, it's just simple. It's clean.

• 18:08Benito Skinner?

  Oh.

• 18:09Mary Beth Barone?

Like, do you remember this time? It's such like a lost part of our history as a people. And I think we need to be celebrating the fact that it exists somewhere.

• 18:17Benito Skinner?

  It's Valencia, it's Nashville.

• 18:19Mary Beth Barone?

  It's Calvin.

• 18:21Benito Skinner?

  Wait, don't.

• 18:22Mary Beth Barone?

  So many people.

• 18:23Benito Skinner?

  Don't bring up Calvin.

• 18:24Mary Beth Barone?

So many people would have archived these pictures and these posts. And I just love, first of all, how many of them? For example, I have 227 posts on Instagram. She has 529. You could be on this for hours and still not have seen everything.

• 18:38Benito Skinner?

Well, her engagement's through the roof.

• 18:39Mary Beth Barone?

  Her engagement's through the roof.

• 18:40Benito Skinner?

She had to feed these kids.

• 18:41Mary Beth Barone?

A Cosmopolitan cover and the caption says, "Chica, what? So surreal to see myself on the cover of Cosmopolitan. Thank you to everyone who made it possible."

• 18:49Benito Skinner?

  And she just stopped.

• 18:50Mary Beth Barone?

She just stopped. So what I think is cool is that she walked away from being a public figure, which is something that I think more of us should think about doing. More of us should consider.

• 19:01Benito Skinner?

She was with The Rock on set.

• 19:03Mary Beth Barone?

She was with The Rock on set, Alexander Daddario, Zac Efron, for goodness sake.

• 19:07Benito Skinner?

Well, of course, you know, I still haven't seen that movie. This really inspires me, maybe I need that today.

• 19:10Mary Beth Barone?

We should watch it. So Kelly Warbach, what's important to note is that she sort of went dark. I just want to see what year they got married, so for my records. Just because I want to see if the timing matches up. Because it's important.

• 19:24Benito Skinner?

  Well, this is investigative journalism.

• 19:25Mary Beth Barone?

  It's investigative journalism.

• 19:27Benito Skinner?

Look at my diva go to work.

• 19:28Mary Beth Barone?

They got married 2019. So she literally said, "I'm, I fell in love. I'm gonna be happy and have a life for myself," off the internet. And this is goodbye.

• 19:38Benito Skinner?

Do they have kids or just married?

• 19:40Mary Beth Barone?

I don't think they have any kids that are on record.

• 19:42Benito Skinner?

  Fabulous.

• 19:42Mary Beth Barone?

But if, if they did, we maybe wouldn't know because they live, they're private citizens.

• 19:46Benito Skinner?

  Wow.

• 19:47Mary Beth Barone?

Do you get the power of that to be at the height of fame and literally walk away?

• 19:51Benito Skinner?

To start this pod the way we did and to talk about this, hey, I get it. She also probably had such weird stalkers. I mean, if you're in SI, like it's, it's given stock arena.

• 20:00Mary Beth Barone?

Yeah. And, and Baywatch, which was a huge, huge movie.

• 20:03Benito Skinner?

  Yeah. Yeah. Well, Blockbuster even.

• 20:05Mary Beth Barone?

  And so I just think.

• 20:06Benito Skinner?

Oh, I just saw the bucket. It's a life.

• 20:09Mary Beth Barone?

  I just saw the bucket.

• 20:10Benito Skinner?

I just saw the bucket. I mean, this is what marketing is now. You understand? I've been thinking about what overcompensating would be. A huge dick. It'd be a golden dick.

• 20:18Mary Beth Barone?

  I was gonna say.

• 20:19Benito Skinner?

Yeah. But Baywatch would be the lifeguard kind of hut. What are those called?

• 20:23Mary Beth Barone?

Oh, I know what you're talking about.

• 20:24Benito Skinner?

  Well, the lifeguard hut.

• 20:25Mary Beth Barone?

  The lifeguard hut.

• 20:25Benito Skinner?

Yeah, you know what I'm talking about.

• 20:26Mary Beth Barone?

  Yeah.

• 20:26Benito Skinner?

  Yeah.

• 20:27Mary Beth Barone?

So I just think it's really powerful to see someone who just decided to like, live her life. And the Instagram to me, I'm not saying it in a making fun of type of way. Like I genuinely love going on it and remembering when it was, life was so simple.

• 20:42Benito Skinner?

No, I know. And it was just like.

• 20:44Mary Beth Barone?

  Simple.

• 20:45Benito Skinner?

You would take a photo in app, swipe to the filter, put a little caption in it that said like schwag and then post. And, and your 10 family members who followed you were like, they ate that shit right up.

• 20:58Mary Beth Barone?

And there was less pressure. It wasn't as much of like a, a tool for people. It was more just like a record, like, you know, proof that you exist.

• 21:06Benito Skinner?

I mean, to do the dancing woman boomerang, like we have to get boomerangs back.

• 21:09Mary Beth Barone?

  I agree.

• 21:09Benito Skinner?

The way there is a boomerang in overcompensating.

• 21:11Mary Beth Barone?

  Yes.

• 21:12Benito Skinner?

  Well, thank God.

• 21:13Mary Beth Barone?

  Easter egg.

• 21:13Benito Skinner?

  Easter egg, yeah.

• 21:14Mary Beth Barone?

So I just love her Instagram. I visit it a couple of times a week just to like, yeah, just remember when things were simpler, pre-COVID.

• 21:21Benito Skinner?

  Future nostalgia.

• 21:21Mary Beth Barone?

  Future nostalgia.

• 21:22Benito Skinner?

Well, she knew it was coming.

• 21:24Mary Beth Barone?

  I know.

• 21:24Benito Skinner?

She's very intuitive in that way.

• 21:25Mary Beth Barone?

So she got married and she hunkered down.

• 21:27Benito Skinner?

You know, I've never met her, but I have met her sister and she's lovely. I mean, there's connections here. But my sister, yeah, played golf with her and loved her so much.

• 21:33Mary Beth Barone?

Also, I love that there's just more than meets the eye. Sports Illustrated supermodel, actor, and then also like a golfer who went to Georgetown, your alma mater.

• 21:41Benito Skinner?

  Yeah.

• 21:41Mary Beth Barone?

This, it's, you see how ride this is?

• 21:43Benito Skinner?

  To me, it's family.

• 21:44Mary Beth Barone?

Do you see how many layers there are to this ride?

• 21:46Benito Skinner?

Well, of course. Oh my God. You know what? It's like a cronut.

• 21:49Mary Beth Barone?

  It's like a cronut.

• 21:50Benito Skinner?

  Have you seen those?

• 21:51Mary Beth Barone?

It's, what's that word? It's, what are those words called when you combine words? A portmanteau. It's a portmanteau of ride culture. Cause maybe you didn't listen to the episode bleep it where I rode for Baywatch.

• 22:01Benito Skinner?

  Oh, yeah.

• 22:02Mary Beth Barone?

Before ride was ride, I rode for Baywatch.

• 22:04Benito Skinner?

Yeah, I don't, yeah, you did.

• 22:05Mary Beth Barone?

I just think it's important to remember and revisit the sacred texts, which is a lot of what your ride is about this.

• 22:10Benito Skinner?

Kelly is kinda like, God, this bitch loves me.

• 22:12Mary Beth Barone?

  I ju, I, I respect the decisions.

• 22:16Benito Skinner?

You respect the work. Well, she has a lot of things that like you look up to.

• 22:19Mary Beth Barone?

  Sports Illustrated.

• 22:20Benito Skinner?

  Going blondes.

• 22:21Mary Beth Barone?

  Going blondes.

• 22:21Benito Skinner?

  Yes.

• 22:22Mary Beth Barone?

Being in a movie with The Rock, who's one of my favorite actors.

• 22:24Benito Skinner?

  Sportsmanship.

• 22:25Mary Beth Barone?

  Sportsmanship. Friendly competition.

• 22:27Benito Skinner?

Of course, of course. Well, that's golf.

• 22:29Mary Beth Barone?

  It's all there.

• 22:31Benito Skinner?

  Oh, my God. Wow.

• 22:32Mary Beth Barone?

And probably the power of manifestation. I don't know that she manifested all the good things that have happened to her, but I have to believe that somewhere there she has been channeling.

• 22:41Benito Skinner?

It's very like she did that.

• 22:42Mary Beth Barone?

  She did that.

• 22:43Benito Skinner?

You know what? And then she left that. We could all learn a thing or two from Ms. Rohrbach.

• 22:47Mary Beth Barone?

About creating art and walking away.

• 22:50Benito Skinner?

And trouble, a little bit of trouble and then saying, I'm out. Ending with a boomerang, is that her last post?

• 22:55Mary Beth Barone?

I will tell you what her last post is.

• 22:57Benito Skinner?

To end on Vanity Fair Oscars.

• 22:59Mary Beth Barone?

Oh, so the last post is a, it's two photos and it's a picture of a palm tree in the ocean and a boat in the ocean. And then if you swipe, it's a picture of Polaroids, which is so classic 2018.

• 23:10Benito Skinner?

  Yeah, of course.

• 23:10Mary Beth Barone?

And it just says grateful for a week of fun in the sun with my squad. Hashtag Turkey Tribe, hashtag Bahamas Mamas, and then a bunch of emojis.

• 23:17Benito Skinner?

  Hashtag Bahamas Mamas.

• 23:19Mary Beth Barone?

And her bio, good vibes only, smiley face.

• 23:21Benito Skinner?

  Well, yeah, I mean, fuck.

• 23:23Mary Beth Barone?

God, I can write a thesis about this.

• 23:25Benito Skinner?

At the time, I didn't think we had culture. Do you know what I mean? Like, I was like, oh, I wonder what like people, but now I see, like, I know the fashion. It's pitch perfect, it's frozen, it's Beyonce, the, the surprise album drop.

• 23:37Mary Beth Barone?

It's just crazy to think about, like, the mindset I had at that time. I just love it.

• 23:42Benito Skinner?

Were you a Sephora girl at that time?

• 23:44Mary Beth Barone?

Uh, this was post working at Sephora.

• 23:46Benito Skinner?

  Okay, we were at Warby.

• 23:48Mary Beth Barone?

We were at Warby. We were heavily at Warby.

• 23:50Benito Skinner?

We had our reading glasses on.

• 23:52Mary Beth Barone?

On. And from there, you know, did a little bit, a few other companies on the startup circuit, and then decided to pursue my dreams and in a lot of ways inspired by Kelly Warbox.

• 24:01Benito Skinner?

How fun is it being in the same room?

• 24:03Mary Beth Barone?

  I know, it's really cool.

• 24:05Benito Skinner?

  Let's get into Dante's Inferno.

• 24:06Mary Beth Barone?

  Okay.

• 24:06Benito Skinner?

So, here's the thing. I have not read Dante's Inferno since high school, but I had an amazing AP English teacher, Mrs. Freeman, love you, girl. Obviously gay and AP English teacher like means the world to me. I am a part of that. Like, I, unfortunately, that thing could not be more accurate.

• 24:23Mary Beth Barone?

  I know.

• 24:23Benito Skinner?

It's one of those things you see on the internet and you're like, there is no one single human experience. It's all shared. Just as Kelly Warbox Instagram taught us.

• 24:32Mary Beth Barone?

Well, to go from Kelly Warbox Wikipedia and the button, the back button says go back to Dante's Inferno, like that's ride. Do you get that in my Wikipedia app?

• 24:40Benito Skinner?

  Yeah, of course.

• 24:41Mary Beth Barone?

  So that's important.

• 24:42Benito Skinner?

Yeah, so here's the thing. I haven't read it since I was in this AP English class my senior year of high school, but I remember it being like one of my favorite things to study. I thought it was so iconic. It's so fighta. Anything about hell coming from like a Catholic boy, I'm like,

• 24:57Mary Beth Barone?

  Catholic gay boy?

• 24:58Benito Skinner?

I'm like, shit, this sounds kinda good.

• 25:00Mary Beth Barone?

  Sounds kinda cool.

• 25:01Benito Skinner?

Yeah, so just start us off, but also like, oh, we're gonna get into like Scapparelli. Like, this is gonna, Dante's Inferno like still inspires me to this day.

• 25:08Mary Beth Barone?

So, also, okay, here's what I'll say.

• 25:11Benito Skinner?

Yeah, I want you to give me this and let's see what it sparks.

• 25:13Mary Beth Barone?

Inferno is the first part of Italian writer Dante Alighieri's 14th century narrative poem, The Divine Comedy.

• 25:20Benito Skinner?

  Overcompensating.

• 25:21Mary Beth Barone?

  Overcompensating.

• 25:22Benito Skinner?

  Long form.

• 25:22Mary Beth Barone?

The Divine Comedy. Divine. The Divine Comedy.

• 25:25Benito Skinner?

Long form comedy. That really works.

• 25:27Mary Beth Barone?

Followed by Purgatorio and Paradiso. The Inferno describes a journey of a fictionalized version of Dante himself. I mean, self-referential. Like, it's loosely autobiographical.

• 25:39Benito Skinner?

  Overcompensating. Hello?

• 25:41Mary Beth Barone?

Of Dante himself through hell guided by the ancient Roman poet Virgil. In the poem, hell is depicted as nine concentric circles of torment located within the earth. It is the quote realm of those who have rejected spiritual values by yielding to bestial appetites or violence, being gay.

• 25:57Benito Skinner?

  Yeah.

• 25:57Mary Beth Barone?

Or by perverting their human intellect, being gay, to fraud, being gay, or malice against their fellow men, being gay. End quote. As an allegory, the Divine Comedy represents the journey of the soul toward God, with the Inferno describing the recognition and rejection of sin.

• 26:14Benito Skinner?

How you doing, Jackson? All none. I remember Judas being like really low. He was like way down there, like you really had to go through the rings. But this thing to me, I mean, it was definitely like Catholic guilt. And it's just like, oh, my God, you guys are all just such fucking sinners. But there was something so like, I don't know, it just felt so epic to me. It felt like the Da Vinci Code to me. Also, I believe three beasts approached him. And I was reminded of this because Scaparelli did a fashion show when Kylie Jenner, you know, at the Lion Head. And Naomi and then another, I think Shalom was the wolf or Naomi was the wolf. He had a fashion show that was based on Dante's Inferno. And that just, I mean, it just.

• 26:53Mary Beth Barone?

  He's the reference.

• 26:54Benito Skinner?

It brought it all rushing back.

• 26:56Mary Beth Barone?

I think it's so cool to inspire an idiom. So you know, the seventh circle of hell, when people refer to something, oh, my God, like, that's the seventh circle of hell.

• 27:04Benito Skinner?

That's Dante on the beat, honey.

• 27:05Mary Beth Barone?

That's Dante. And so I think it's really cool to like, create something that's just like, it's so inspiring to so many things that came after it.

• 27:13Benito Skinner?

Mm hmm. Well, yeah, of course.

• 27:15Mary Beth Barone?

  Yeah, of course.

• 27:16Benito Skinner?

  Hey, totally.

• 27:17Mary Beth Barone?

And it was written in 1300, which means, or 1321, I believe, which means he was around at the same time as Albert Einstein and Oppenheimer.

• 27:24Benito Skinner?

  Yes, and Nixon.

• 27:25Mary Beth Barone?

  Nixon, of course.

• 27:27Benito Skinner?

Can we go through some of the rings and tell me who's on them? Because this is going to bring it all back. I remember one being like, there's like greed. And it kind of reminds me of that America's Next Top Model photo shoot where it's the seven deadly sins.

• 27:38Mary Beth Barone?

Where the girl's friend had just died and then she had to be in a grave.

• 27:40Benito Skinner?

  She channeled it through wrath.

• 27:41Mary Beth Barone?

  It's the work.

• 27:42Benito Skinner?

That was such a like empowering episode to me when she's screaming in the coffin. Fuck.

• 27:48Mary Beth Barone?

First circle of hell is limbo.

• 27:50Benito Skinner?

  Okay, yeah.

• 27:51Mary Beth Barone?

  Second circle is lust.

• 27:53Benito Skinner?

  We're in limbo right now.

• 27:54Mary Beth Barone?

  We are.

• 27:54Benito Skinner?

  Yeah.

• 27:55Mary Beth Barone?

We really are, before the show comes out.

• 27:56Benito Skinner?

  Limbo.

• 27:57Mary Beth Barone?

We're in limbo. Second circle is lust.

• 27:59Benito Skinner?

  Okay, Jackson.

• 28:01Mary Beth Barone?

  Third circle, gluttony.

• 28:02Benito Skinner?

  Okay.

• 28:03Mary Beth Barone?

And Cerberus was there, so that's the great worm. If that means anything to you, I mean, where are the worms?

• 28:09Benito Skinner?

Where are the worms? See how this Dante's Inferno is right heritage?

• 28:13Mary Beth Barone?

  It's right heritage.

• 28:13Benito Skinner?

  Okay, keep going.

• 28:14Mary Beth Barone?

Circle five is wrath. So that's like the person that commented that on your post.

• 28:19Benito Skinner?

And AMTM, she channeled that. And we saw that, we saw wrath reflected back at us.

• 28:24Mary Beth Barone?

  We did.

• 28:24Benito Skinner?

  When she did that.

• 28:25Mary Beth Barone?

Sixth circle is hearsay, which is also the comment that was left on your Instagram. It's some bullshit. So then seventh circle is violence, which we hate, except if you are fighting Nazis.

• 28:37Benito Skinner?

  Exactly.

• 28:38Mary Beth Barone?

  Then we have fraud.

• 28:41Benito Skinner?

Fraud is like, so fraud is high or low on there? It's like pretty close to-

• 28:44Mary Beth Barone?

  Fraud is toward the bottom.

• 28:45Benito Skinner?

  Whoa.

• 28:46Mary Beth Barone?

  It's the eighth circle.

• 28:47Benito Skinner?

  Wow.

• 28:47Mary Beth Barone?

  Yeah.

• 28:48Benito Skinner?

  They're really hard on frauders.

• 28:49Mary Beth Barone?

  Yeah.

• 28:49Benito Skinner?

  Fraudists.

• 28:51Mary Beth Barone?

So it says, here's the thing about this Wikipedia, you can't just like pick a quick quote off of it.

• 28:55Benito Skinner?

  Well, of course not.

• 28:56Mary Beth Barone?

There's like, every sentence is a paragraph. Do you get that?

• 28:59Benito Skinner?

  Can I see your phone?

• 29:00Mary Beth Barone?

  It's really hard.

• 29:01Benito Skinner?

Maybe I'll see one thing that really, oh, the image, oh my God, the imagery. I remember having to draw this out and of course, you know, I did it to hell. Gay guys know how to draw, let me tell you. Okay, limbo. Virgil states that he saw Jesus descend into limbo and take Adam, Abel, Noah, Moses, Abraham, David, Rachel, and others, see limbo of the patriarchs, that's a whole other page.

• 29:23Mary Beth Barone?

  Whoa.

• 29:24Benito Skinner?

Into his all forgiving arms and transport them to heaven. So it's very much like bring the homies with you.

• 29:30Mary Beth Barone?

  Totally.

• 29:30Benito Skinner?

  Do you understand?

• 29:31Mary Beth Barone?

  Bring the entourage.

• 29:32Benito Skinner?

Bring your bestie with you. Out of limbo to heaven.

• 29:35Mary Beth Barone?

  Heaven.

• 29:36Benito Skinner?

  No, we'd go to purgatory.

• 29:37Mary Beth Barone?

  For sure.

• 29:38Benito Skinner?

I wonder what the difference is there? I mean, I never read the other ones, but I was more of a Dante's Inferno girl and I knew that to my heart, my heart's core.

• 29:44Mary Beth Barone?

  Yeah.

• 29:44Benito Skinner?

But let me see, so it's this castle, oh my God, you're gonna die. You're gonna die at who he encounters, Dante.

• 29:51Mary Beth Barone?

  Who?

• 29:52Benito Skinner?

Dante next encounters a group of philosophers, including Aristotle.

• 29:56Mary Beth Barone?

  No!

• 29:56Benito Skinner?

With Socrates and Plato at his side.

• 29:59Mary Beth Barone?

  Dante galaxy brain.

• 30:01Benito Skinner?

  No, literally.

• 30:02Mary Beth Barone?

The ninth circle is treachery. And this is where he encounters Judas.

• 30:07Benito Skinner?

  Judas.

• 30:08Mary Beth Barone?

This final deepest level of hell is reserved for traitors, betrayers, and oath breakers. Its most famous inmate is Judas.

• 30:16Benito Skinner?

Judah, Judah, uh-uh. Judah, Judah, uh-uh. That is so, when he comes to me, I am red day. Ear condom, she said that. She wrote that into a major pop song, Ear Condom.

• 30:28Mary Beth Barone?

  Yeah.

• 30:28Benito Skinner?

  Gaga, I love you, Stephanie.

• 30:31Mary Beth Barone?

  Pause up.

• 30:31Benito Skinner?

Pause up. In the next episode, I'm gonna talk about- When we met Lady Gaga and what that did for me.

• 30:38Mary Beth Barone?

What did you take away from the works of Dante?

• 30:41Benito Skinner?

Here's the thing, I think I took away, I find darkness really interesting to me. Like, I think I've always been interested in like horror, like I love horror movies. I don't know, there's, maybe it's the Scorpio in me. There's something very interesting about this level of punishment. And also, what I kind of thought was interesting about it, I'm like, finally you've described it. Because you guys are talking so much about hell, well, let's see the landscape. I want to see the architecture.

• 31:07Mary Beth Barone?

Yeah, the architecture. It's like, it's such an abstract thing for most.

• 31:10Benito Skinner?

Exactly, I'm like, take me through the levels. And Judas being in the last one is so petty of them and petty of Dante. Like, I don't know if that's the worst thing you could possibly do. I mean, I guess Judas, like, actually, maybe it is. Being a betrayer, betrayal is like, it hurts the worst. First cut is the...

• 31:25Mary Beth Barone?

  Deepest.

• 31:26Benito Skinner?

  Yeah.

• 31:27Mary Beth Barone?

So, okay, I don't know how the Inferno ends.

• 31:29Benito Skinner?

Fraud should be in purgatory, like, you know what I mean?

• 31:31Mary Beth Barone?

  Fraud can be bad, though.

• 31:33Benito Skinner?

  That's so true, it depends.

• 31:34Mary Beth Barone?

I don't think it's like credit card fraud. If you're defrauding credit card companies, like, have fun.

• 31:39Benito Skinner?

Dante said it was credit card fraud.

• 31:40Mary Beth Barone?

He said like, it's credit card fraud, and that's really bad.

• 31:42Benito Skinner?

Everyone on this level, credit card fraud.

• 31:43Mary Beth Barone?

But I think fraud to me is like, of, like, fraud, like, representing yourself fraudulently or like, not being like pure of spirit, like, showing who you really are.

• 31:51Benito Skinner?

Yeah, I guess if it's not pure of spirit, because sometimes I think people, like, their identity is, they're trying to protect themselves from hurt.

• 31:58Mary Beth Barone?

But that's not fraud to me, that's like self-preservation. But I like to think that the Inferno is about the strength of human spirit. I mean, we can endure so much, and we are right now. And I definitely never thought we'd be living through another, like, sort of civil rights era. Like, I sort of was taught in school that that's behind us. But it does feel like, right now, we are in like, one of the circles of hell, and we need to just like...

• 32:18Benito Skinner?

I'd say we're right around five or six. We're getting close to nine.

• 32:21Mary Beth Barone?

All of us together, we're gonna get out.

• 32:23Benito Skinner?

Let's get up. And you know what, we might be in limbo for a little bit, but we're gonna keep clawing.

• 32:27Mary Beth Barone?

I have no doubt, now more than ever, that we are gonna get through this, and it's gonna be okay. It's just gonna, it sucks that we have to spend so much of our adult life, like, fighting for things that should be a given, but we're here, and we are gonna fucking fight, and we're not going anywhere.

• 32:40Benito Skinner?

Hold your bestie close, Virgil. See all the lessons I learned?

• 32:46Benito Skinner?

They get to level six. Who are all these people? These are homosexuals.

• 32:50Mary Beth Barone?

  Sorry.

• 32:50Benito Skinner?

  Nina drama guiding.

• 32:51Mary Beth Barone?

  Oh, yeah.

• 32:52Benito Skinner?

  These are the gays.

• 32:53Mary Beth Barone?

They're gonna get out soon, though.

• 32:55Benito Skinner?

I've got plans for them. Oh, these, they're sodomites.

• 32:58Mary Beth Barone?

What I like, too, about this work that I never read it, by the way.

• 33:01Benito Skinner?

You will love it. It's such a beach read for you.

• 33:03Mary Beth Barone?

I'm sure. I'm sure. I'll fly right through it. It's a page turner.

• 33:07Benito Skinner?

It really is, though. Like, I can't. It's just something about it, and it's kind of one of those things. It's like, sometimes when you watch a movie like The Brutalist, which I thought was completely, it all happened and was real.

• 33:17Mary Beth Barone?

  Tar.

• 33:18Benito Skinner?

  For like, about.

• 33:18Mary Beth Barone?

  It was your tar.

• 33:19Benito Skinner?

It was 100% my tar. I read it and was kind of like, well, this is what hell is. At the time, I remember being like, yeah, this all tracks. Like, I get it.

• 33:27Mary Beth Barone?

I think what's cool is writing a book that has so many other historical figures. So the amount of research that has to go into a book like that, because you have to.

• 33:34Benito Skinner?

  It's very Midnight in Paris.

• 33:36Mary Beth Barone?

I would, see, I was gonna say Gia Tolentino's book, but it's very Midnight in Paris, too.

• 33:40Benito Skinner?

  Yeah.

• 33:40Mary Beth Barone?

In order to reference those people and their beliefs and what they would say if you were fictionalizing them, you have to have a deep knowledge of the text.

• 33:48Benito Skinner?

Old Testament and New Testament, dare I say.

• 33:50Mary Beth Barone?

  Yeah, it's almost like fanfiction.

• 33:52Benito Skinner?

  It is. It's very fanfiction.

• 33:53Mary Beth Barone?

  Dante's Inferno is fanfiction.

• 33:55Benito Skinner?

  No, it really is.

• 33:56Mary Beth Barone?

Inferno. I can't speak. Also, do you hear my stomach? I'm so hungry.

• 34:00Benito Skinner?

I know, we're about to go to Zinke.

• 34:01Mary Beth Barone?

  I'm so hungry.

• 34:01Benito Skinner?

We're about to have Le Bole. There is this place in LA called Zinke, and you can get a thing called Le Bole, so you know we're about to have that.

• 34:07Mary Beth Barone?

Yeah, we're gonna get Le Bole.

• 34:09Benito Skinner?

  I'm exhausted. It's exhausted.

• 34:11Mary Beth Barone?

  It's exhausted.

• 34:12Benito Skinner?

I'm kind of doing the best I can, and I think, like, you know, you're my Virgil in a lot of ways, and you're like, hey, it could be worse. Look at all these freaks.

• 34:22Mary Beth Barone?

Yeah. I have nothing to add.

• 34:23Benito Skinner?

This one goes all the time. Sorry.

• 34:25Mary Beth Barone?

I have nothing to add. It's just we're all, it's, we're tired, but we have to keep fighting.

• 34:29Benito Skinner?

I think we should start a book club. Let's read Dante's Inferno together. What do you think?

• 34:34Mary Beth Barone?

  Yeah, let's do it.

• 34:35Benito Skinner?

The first book in a book club. You know, the second one will be Greenlight.

• 34:38Mary Beth Barone?

  Of course.

• 34:39Benito Skinner?

  Ah, Greenlight.

• 34:40Mary Beth Barone?

Yes, and the third one will be A Picture of Dorian Gray, Portrait of Dorian Gray, or whatever.

• 34:44Benito Skinner?

Oh, please. You get to limbo, and then it's Matthew McConaughey there, waiting to take you through all the levels of hell.

• 34:49Mary Beth Barone?

I would love that. I would love that.

• 34:51Benito Skinner?

  Which one's Elon in? Low.

• 34:54Mary Beth Barone?

  He's in Treachery.

• 34:55Benito Skinner?

I guess High Numbers. Yeah. There's a lot of frauds. I see lots of frauds in Hollywood.

• 35:01Mary Beth Barone?

LA is plastic. That's what we're gonna end on.

• 35:04Benito Skinner?

You know what you are, Mary Beth?

• 35:05Mary Beth Barone?

  Bisexual?

• 35:06Benito Skinner?

Well, yeah. But you're also my ride or die. Ride or die. So I obviously ride for Kelly.

• 35:13Mary Beth Barone?

Oh, I forgot about ride or die. It just felt so like obvious that we both ride for each other's thing.

• 35:18Benito Skinner?

Well, I do think that that's kind of what this show is.

• 35:20Mary Beth Barone?

  Yeah.

• 35:20Benito Skinner?

I think as besties, like, real recognize real and I'm always gonna agree with my girl. Only a couple of things make my lower back sweaty. And I think I've really warmed up to group chats. I'm really, I'm kind of like-

• 35:31Mary Beth Barone?

  You have turned a corner.

• 35:32Benito Skinner?

I'm more in limbo with them right now.

• 35:33Mary Beth Barone?

And can I say one thing? You started a group chat on Saturday.

• 35:37Benito Skinner?

  What'd you think?

• 35:38Mary Beth Barone?

  I loved it.

• 35:39Benito Skinner?

Well, I had to tell all of you that you were getting the episodes.

• 35:41Mary Beth Barone?

I know. It was so cool. And people aren't abusing the group chat. They're not constantly talking in it. They're saying things when they have something to say.

• 35:48Benito Skinner?

Exactly. Well, Terry's in London right now, so group chats with him are kind of dizzying.

• 35:52Mary Beth Barone?

  Cause it's time zones.

• 35:54Benito Skinner?

You wanna talk about the inferno? I gotta read through all my little-

• 35:57Mary Beth Barone?

Well, you were at Benihana's the other night while he and I were talking in the group chat. And then you had a lot to catch up on.

• 36:02Benito Skinner?

  There's actually a Benihana's in Level 5.

• 36:05Mary Beth Barone?

  Padante's Inferno?

• 36:06Benito Skinner?

Yeah, they're chopping it up in there.

• 36:08Mary Beth Barone?

  Yep.

• 36:08Benito Skinner?

I love it there, by the way. You know, but I was so-

• 36:12Mary Beth Barone?

  It's hibachi, right?

• 36:13Benito Skinner?

Yeah, of course. I was so embarrassed. I went there with all of our post-production team. I love them all so much. We had so much fun. But one of them goes, "Did you pick this place? Cause it's like, kinda like Benny Drama 7?" And I was like, "No, I swear to God-"

• 36:26Mary Beth Barone?

No, but I kinda love that.

• 36:28Benito Skinner?

I know. I, I was like, "Please do not say that to them."

• 36:31Mary Beth Barone?

I'm telling everyone you ride for Benihana's.

• 36:33Benito Skinner?

Yeah, cause it was, yeah. It was one of those things where I was like, "That's, I'm obsessed that that's the lore." That's leading you into a night at Benny, Benihana's with me.

• 36:41Mary Beth Barone?

I haven't thought about hibachi in a while, but it feels to me like-

• 36:44Benito Skinner?

  To your media clip?

• 36:47Benito Skinner?

  Please.

• 36:48Mary Beth Barone?

It almost feels like along the lines of arcades and froyo places, like, at some point, we won't have hibachi anymore. And I just think it is like such a fun place to have a birthday.

• 36:57Benito Skinner?

Watching a coworker catch meat in their mouth, like, "You're not gonna see it." It's the most human thing I've ever seen. It was like one of those things where I watched and I'm sorry, I'm not gonna name names, but at one point, the girl who was sitting near me, they threw meat at her mouth.

• 37:19Mary Beth Barone?

I have to pee so bad, we have to wrap it up.

• 37:22Benito Skinner?

You know when someone opens their mouth and their tongue reaches the bottom of their chin? She was a date.

• 37:28Mary Beth Barone?

She said, I'm gonna catch that meat.

• 37:29Benito Skinner?

She goes, that shrimp is gonna hit the back of my friggin throat. It's gonna touch the, what's that thing called? You, you?

• 37:35Mary Beth Barone?

  Your little thingy?

• 37:36Benito Skinner?

  You're the little dangalier?

• 37:38Mary Beth Barone?

  Yeah.

• 37:39Benito Skinner?

Well, I write for Kelly Warbox Instagram. I'm obsessed with, well, I really wanna make one of those like, um, uh, what are those called where you bury it?

• 37:48Mary Beth Barone?

  Oh, a time capsule?

• 37:49Benito Skinner?

I really wanna make a time capsule. Are we gonna cut that or keep all night? God damn it, I'm so hungry and tired. I need a diet coke so bad.

• 37:56Mary Beth Barone?

  I'm gonna pee my pants.

• 37:57Benito Skinner?

  You better piss.

• 37:58Mary Beth Barone?

No, we have, I have cried on the pod, I haven't peed myself on the pod yet.

• 38:00Benito Skinner?

Girl, I'll finish out, I'll say whatever I need to. I just, I love it, it's a time, it's future nostalgia to me, I love that time. God knows what we were posting at that time. I would have loved to really know you at that time.

• 38:11Mary Beth Barone?

I have my archive, we can go through together.

• 38:13Benito Skinner?

  We met in 20?

• 38:14Mary Beth Barone?

We met in 2018, I think.

• 38:17Benito Skinner?

Oh, and then she was like, I'm not posting anymore.

• 38:19Mary Beth Barone?

She goes, Benny and Mary Beth have met, my work is done. She said, I'm out.

• 38:24Benito Skinner?

Kelly, we love you sweetheart, come on the pod. Wait, were her comeback?

• 38:27Mary Beth Barone?

I would love to have her on the pod and just ask her what she's been up to. And I can't clarify this enough, I'm seriously writing for it. It's not irony, it's not sarcasm, I'm obsessed with it.

• 38:38Benito Skinner?

You have brought this up to me multiple times, on trips even.

• 38:41Mary Beth Barone?

On trips, in the car, I'm saying.

• 38:43Benito Skinner?

Where you're like, have you seen this? And I'm like, no, is she, did she post? And you're like, she hasn't posted in a long time.

• 38:48Mary Beth Barone?

Well, there's something about a piece of media that's not changing. It's the same, it's static. And I say, that's comfort to me, cause it's not changing.

• 38:56Benito Skinner?

Yeah, we don't get that every day. And also that she didn't go delete it, it's something about like, really, which I love, I love, it's like, this is all of me. Although some people, I would delete your old tweets, but there's something about being like, that was me then, this is me now, but you don't get to see me now.

• 39:09Mary Beth Barone?

She's saying, I stand by everything I said.

• 39:11Benito Skinner?

  Now you see me.

• 39:12Mary Beth Barone?

  Now you three me.

• 39:14Benito Skinner?

So what about you? Do you ride for?

• 39:16Mary Beth Barone?

I ride for Dante's Inferno. As you know, I like-

• 39:18Benito Skinner?

  What is it? Dante Allegrio?

• 39:20Mary Beth Barone?

  I'm not sure.

• 39:21Benito Skinner?

  I think it's Dante Barbaredo.

• 39:24Mary Beth Barone?

It's Dante Barbaredo. I ride for sort of iconic works of literature and things that have withstood the test of time. You know, that's one of my whole deals.

• 39:31Benito Skinner?

I know. I was with you once when you bought Catcher in the Rye. It was very cool.

• 39:34Mary Beth Barone?

And you know what? I got it at Great Escape Books in Toronto.

• 39:37Benito Skinner?

  Lovely.

• 39:38Mary Beth Barone?

Hit them up. I just think we need to read more literature and as you said, we can't look forward to the future until we know where we've been. So-

• 39:46Benito Skinner?

Until we know what's down there. It's very incoming.

• 39:48Mary Beth Barone?

  Incoming.

• 39:50Benito Skinner?

  Look down.

• 39:51Mary Beth Barone?

Don't look up. Stream it on Netflix.

• 39:54Benito Skinner?

  Whoa.

• 39:55Mary Beth Barone?

That was a good movie. I liked it. It was-

• 39:56Benito Skinner?

  Me too.

• 39:57Mary Beth Barone?

It was a cultural commentary. If you didn't like that movie, look inward.

• 40:00Benito Skinner?

Well, here's my thing. J. Lo's Bangs. I loved that. It felt like such a choice in a good way.

• 40:05Mary Beth Barone?

  And Cate Blanchett's veneers.

• 40:06Benito Skinner?

  Whoa. Yeah.

• 40:08Mary Beth Barone?

  Fake veneers.

• 40:09Benito Skinner?

  Meryl Streep's President? Hut hut.

• 40:12Mary Beth Barone?

Yeah. So I guess that's all we have to say. Happy Red Heritage Month. Next week is, of course, the hitchhike.

• 40:17Benito Skinner?

If there even is a podcast.

• 40:20Mary Beth Barone?

If there even is. Is there?

• 40:22Benito Skinner?

  Oh, my exit.

• 40:23Mary Beth Barone?

Benny, babe, eyes on the road. Benny, go!

• 40:36Speaker 03
