What's poppin', congregation? It's your girl, Lacey Mosley, AKA Scam Goddess, and this is the podcast all about robbery, fraud, and those who practice it. Didn't that sound so good, y'all? That gotta sound like we could be MP War or something, okay? Y'all know, look, Time Magazine made us time tins. I was trying to give y'all more professionalism. Is this what you guys want? It's not happening, okay? But just for a moment. Guys, I'm very what? Yes. Excited. Thrilled. Elated. Enthroned. This is one of my dearest friends. This is the first lady of the congregation, okay? Get your gloves out. Get your white gloves out, okay?

• 2:51Laci Mosley?

Everyone stand up. She's walking in the room, okay? The guest that's been on the show the most. The guest that also was in the premiere episode of the show. Y'all. My friend. Longtime congregation member and first lady. She's an actor, a writer, a comedian, and a voiceover talent, which you have already gotten a glimmer of. Congregation, please welcome back Priscilla Davies.

• 3:16Speaker 03

Woo, woo, woo. I'm cheering myself, that's right.

• 3:21Speaker 03

Congregation, I'm so happy to be here. You know I fucks with every single one of y'all. And you know we're about to cut up.

• 3:27Laci Mosley?

  Always, always.

• 3:28Speaker 03

  Every day's.

• 3:29Laci Mosley?

And I do want to say, like, the Give Us Your Money podcast is a podcast that is about robbery.

• 3:36Speaker 03

  It's about fraud.

• 3:37Laci Mosley?

But it's about internet robbery, influencers, multi-level marketing queens, people that we can't really talk about out in the open without worrying about getting sued.

• 3:47Speaker 03

  Right.

• 3:48Laci Mosley?

So all of the stories that y'all send us of Twitter mess and Instagram gossip and all of that, that's the kind of stuff that we talk about on this Patreon, including Jada.

• 3:58Speaker 03

Yes, we do a deep dive on Jada.

• 4:00Laci Mosley?

  That's the first episode.

• 4:01Speaker 03

It's good. Listen, guys, as a person who was just finding out about Jada, you're gonna want to watch, listen to this.

• 4:07Laci Mosley?

If you don't know who Jada is, Jada's the person who took over my Twitter account for eight days and was selling fake MacBooks for $600. And when I got the account back, I learned so much. I talked to hackers, lawyers, like NBC Universal reached out, like, wanting to do a story.

• 4:23Speaker 03

  About you getting scammed.

• 4:24Laci Mosley?

You wanted me to give my chest to you.

• 4:25Speaker 03

  Oh my god.

• 4:26Laci Mosley?

It got messy. So if you want to hear about that, give us your money podcast on Patreon. You can get involved. Give us your money. We only want a little bit.

• 4:33Speaker 03

  Just a little.

• 4:34Laci Mosley?

Yes. But let's get into it, P.

• 4:37Speaker 03

  Yes.

• 4:38Laci Mosley?

You know what we always ask on the show?

• 4:40Speaker 03

  Yes.

• 4:41Laci Mosley?

  Wait, do you?

• 4:42Speaker 03

  Yeah. What's my relationship?

• 4:44Laci Mosley?

The guest who's been on the show the most out of any guest, and she sat down this series just a few moments ago and said, "So how does this go again?"

• 4:52Speaker 03

Listen, congregation, I got a lot on my mind, okay? I'm a black woman in America, just trying to make it day by day, okay?

• 5:00Laci Mosley?

How you gonna do me like that? Not the black woman in America card. Wow.

• 5:03Speaker 03

  Yeah, I pulled it.

• 5:04Laci Mosley?

  Nah, can't say nothing.

• 5:05Speaker 03

Listen, I'm doing the best with what I got.

• 5:07Laci Mosley?

Best I can with what I got. And he dropped the beat.

• 5:12Laci Mosley?

If you haven't seen that video of Mariah Carey saying, "I'm doing the best I can with what I got," you need to because it lives rent-free in my head, Dwayne Perkins's head as well. And honestly, it's the best affirmation I've ever seen.

• 5:23Speaker 03

  Period.

• 5:24Laci Mosley?

Mariah Carey owns Christmas and affirmation.

• 5:26Speaker 03

  Yes.

• 5:27Laci Mosley?

Now, she did actually try to trademark the Queen of Christmas.

• 5:30Speaker 03

And they shut her down. They were like, "Ma'am, let's... First of all, there's a real Queen of Christmas, okay?"

• 5:35Laci Mosley?

She said, "Jesus, move out of that way."

• 5:38Speaker 03

Okay. I love her for daring to try, though.

• 5:41Laci Mosley?

  Right.

• 5:42Speaker 03

And honestly, if I was working trademarks that day, she would've got it.

• 5:45Laci Mosley?

  Yep.

• 5:45Speaker 03

  She would've been approved.

• 5:46Laci Mosley?

She's honestly the only person who could be like, "Okay, yeah, we know about Jesus, but what about me?"

• 5:51Speaker 03

Right? And Jesus is just the king of Christmas.

• 5:54Laci Mosley?

  Right. He need a queen.

• 5:55Speaker 03

  He need a queen. I don't know.

• 5:57Laci Mosley?

I guess they're trying to say it's Mary, but like, we know Mary was lying.

• 6:01Speaker 03

But that's his mama. I guess, okay, she's the queen, the queen mother.

• 6:04Laci Mosley?

She is. She's queen mother of Christmas.

• 6:06Speaker 03

The regent queen, because he was just a baby.

• 6:08Laci Mosley?

That's like, this looks like Game of Thrones.

• 6:12Laci Mosley?

The Bible was the original Game of Thrones.

• 6:14Speaker 03

She's the queen of the north, okay?

• 6:16Laci Mosley?

  North Jerusalem, in the manger.

• 6:19Speaker 03

North Jerusalem, AKA Palestine, Free Palestine.

• 6:25Laci Mosley?

Wow, I love our tangents. What's your relationship with scams, Priscilla? Do you love them? Do you hate them? Has anything happened to you recently that you care to share?

• 6:36Speaker 03

  Damn.

• 6:36Laci Mosley?

  In the past?

• 6:37Speaker 03

Yeah, I mean, I definitely was once a victim of the Israeli locksmith scam. I don't know if I've talked about that on this show before.

• 6:46Laci Mosley?

No, you haven't. And that sounds so specific, like.

• 6:49Speaker 03

I mean, we should honestly probably do a full-on episode because it's a whole thing. Like, the only reason I know it exists is because after I got scammed, I went to the Googles because I'd be researching. And I was like, oh, this is a whole fucking network from Canada on down to America. The Beautiful, yeah.

• 7:08Laci Mosley?

Oh, this is a business, okay.

• 7:09Speaker 03

  It's a network, a chain. It's a chain scammer business.

• 7:15Laci Mosley?

That just sounds like a business to me.

• 7:16Speaker 03

  Hey, hey now.

• 7:17Laci Mosley?

Sounds like they got franchises. They said, we can open up robbery near you.

• 7:21Speaker 03

Listen, when you're getting charged three hundred something dollars to get let back in your apartment, that's, yeah, that's, you know, I don't know if that's a business anymore. It's just a straight-up scam.

• 7:31Laci Mosley?

I mean, it's people who know how to break into your apartment and they're lending you their services. It still costs like three hundred dollars to get back into your apartment.

• 7:38Speaker 03

No, no, oh, girl. No, no, no. So when this went down, I was like, what the fuck?

• 7:42Laci Mosley?

  Wait, what went down, though?

• 7:44Speaker 03

So what happened was, it's like fucking five in the morning, you know? And so me and the homies are coming back from the club and everybody had gathered at my house first. So like, we come back to my spot and everybody's gonna leave from there. Five in the fucking morning, the sun is coming up and I don't have my goddamn key. And we're cracked out. The sun is coming up and it's literally Sunday. So it's like, I mean, it was just, it was all bad. So we called around and we found this locksmith who was like, yeah, we'll be there. Long story short, this guy shows up in an unmarked vehicle. Okay.

• 8:18Laci Mosley?

What? You want you wanted him to have money for like a van with a logo? This ain't Bob's Burgers.

• 8:23Speaker 03

So wait till I tell you. So that's okay. I'm glad you we're gonna come back to that. I'm glad you brought that up. So the dude comes and he's like, yeah, you know, this is how much it's gonna be. And mind you, this fool took forever. It was like a whole thing. Like he took a whole. So now the sun is up. Okay, motherfuckers going to church. Okay. And we have this motherfucker sitting here, you know, he shows up. He takes him ten minutes just to get out of that unmarked car. It was like that. Okay. And then he comes and he unlocks the door. And mind you, they charge you for like each lock, part of the scam. Okay? So they charged me for each lock.

• 8:54Laci Mosley?

They say you don't wanna get all the way back in or just partially back in?

• 8:57Speaker 03

Okay, so I was like, you know what? And it's now it's seven AM. I'm like, just take this fucking money and go. Like, I don't even give a shit. Come to find out, after the fact that my keys happened to be in somebody else's purse that we were at, we were with that night, who lived in a whole different part of town and found that out on like Monday, like at, because they were like coworkers, my friend and this other person. So I just could not shake this shit. I was like, I know this is crazy. So I ended up actually having to go to an actual locksmith.

• 9:25Laci Mosley?

Wait, I thought you went to one. This guy wasn't an actual locksmith?

• 9:28Speaker 03

It was something like I I went for something different, or it was like just it just happened to be a coincidence. And I was going to this law, another locksmith around the same time. And this fool was like, he was like, yeah, you got scammed, girl. And he was like, it should have never cost that much. He was like, and then he was like, the the vehicle should have been marked. He's like, that's how you know they're legit. He should have showed you a card with his fucking number on it. Yeah, it's like a whole thing. And I did all these Googles and I find out, because the guy, I didn't know it was an Israeli accent at the time. I just knew it was an accent. I was like, oh, it sounded a little French, you know, da da da da. And it turns out that this freaking guy, you know, I I Google and I find out that Israeli locksmith scams.

• 10:05Laci Mosley?

Yeah, they pulled, like Judith just pulled something up. It says the Israeli locksmith ring charged with fraud. A group operated in Missouri and Florida.

• 10:13Speaker 03

It's all over. And I remember them also being in Canada. I don't know if it started in Canada and migrated down, but it's still, as you can see, it still exists.

• 10:21Laci Mosley?

  So they scam their overcharging

• 10:23Speaker 03

  Mm hmm.

• 10:24Laci Mosley?

  customers for their services. So.

• 10:27Laci Mosley?

  According to this specific affidavit.

• 10:29Speaker 03

  Yeah.

• 10:29Laci Mosley?

These people were working with a company that was called Dependable Lock. So y'all, if y'all see Dependable Lock out there, run, okay?

• 10:36Speaker 03

  Yeah.

• 10:36Laci Mosley?

Now, it depends on how much money you got, if you gonna get that lock.

• 10:39Speaker 03

  Okay.

• 10:40Laci Mosley?

  Okay, that's what they say.

• 10:41Speaker 03

Oh, so I, oh my god, I forgot the end of the story. So, long story short, I think I, I like canceled their, the, what I paid them, right? So then I'm like going back with them and I ended up, they were like, okay, we settled on a price. Like, that's how I knew they were a fucking scam. Cause once I, when I realized it, then they settled on a price with me. So I ended up, they were like, just send a check. So I was like, alright. So I sent a check and I just wrote them a check for what I felt like was appropriate. And that was it. Never heard from them again. And it was not no three hundred and twenty-five dollars.

• 11:06Laci Mosley?

  I love that.

• 11:08Speaker 03

  Yeah, I fight fraud, dog.

• 11:09Laci Mosley?

You did, you did. And also now we know, like, if a marked car comes to your house at ten P M. charging you three hundred dollars. You know what's wild is when I got locked out at my building, which is just haunted now, like this new building manager came in. And now he haunted the whole, whole. Like, I'm not even joking. Like, our elevators be broken all the time.

• 11:30Laci Mosley?

Luxury apartment buildings are a fucking scam, especially in Los Angeles. Like, I'm paying a mortgage to live in an apartment where I share walls. Like, come on, y'all.

• 11:36Speaker 03

  It's ridiculous.

• 11:37Laci Mosley?

It's ridiculous. But, you know, they got the little theater and the little accoutrement, the little mini tears, the pool or whatever. But I don't know what happened, cause this building was relatively new. When I moved in, I think it had maybe been standing for like eight or nine months. So everything was brand new. No one's ever lived in my place before, la da ba ba. We used to have this great building manager, but then he like did something creepy. But he was so good and reliable, but then he had did something creepy something.

• 12:00Speaker 03

  Inappropriate as well.

• 12:01Laci Mosley?

Yeah. And why is it always like that? Why are the creeps always so good at their jobs? And now we can't keep you because like the main.

• 12:08Speaker 03

Now, yeah, now we can't benefit from your talents.

• 12:10Laci Mosley?

  Right.

• 12:11Speaker 03

  Because.

• 12:11Laci Mosley?

Cause rule number one, don't be creepy.

• 12:14Speaker 03

  Don't be creepy.

• 12:15Laci Mosley?

It actually means you're actually bad at your job because you brought the creepiness to work. Like, you should have left that at home.

• 12:19Speaker 03

That's professionalism. Or a lack thereof.

• 12:22Laci Mosley?

But yeah, so this new guy, like, everything keeps breaking. Elevators are breaking. Everything, uh, one of my neighbors got stuck inside the elevator this week.

• 12:29Speaker 03

  Oh, my God.

• 12:32Speaker 03

I had to release somebody from my, you, uh, listen, I know the congregation knows about my elevator woes.

• 12:37Laci Mosley?

  Yes.

• 12:37Speaker 03

I did have to release somebody from the elevator in my building as well once.

• 12:41Laci Mosley?

When I got locked out, the number that they gave me to go, like, emergency number, they were sending me to a lockstep that would've charged me $300. So if that's not the price, then what is that? Is this inflation now? Yesterday's price, not today's price?

• 12:51Speaker 03

  What year was this?

• 12:52Laci Mosley?

  This was this year.

• 12:53Speaker 03

  Okay, that.

• 12:53Laci Mosley?

  Year of our Lord, 2022.

• 12:55Speaker 03

I'm sure it's inflated. This, this happened over five or six, maybe seven years ago.

• 13:00Laci Mosley?

Oh, damn, $300 seven years ago?

• 13:01Speaker 03

Thank you. That's what I'm saying. Yeah, I'm not talking crazy, girl. Uh-uh. This was like seven, eight years ago.

• 13:07Laci Mosley?

They, that, they took your home for ransom.

• 13:09Speaker 03

Basically. I mean, this is when the economy was semi-good. Not, you know what I mean?

• 13:13Laci Mosley?

You called you, like, I'm locked out. That was like, them niggas were taking it, like, good luck.

• 13:19Speaker 03

  I mean, literally.

• 13:20Laci Mosley?

You wanna, you wanna be unhoused? Cause that's what you finna be if you don't give us this $300.

• 13:24Speaker 03

And that fool was looking at me like, well, what else are you gonna do? And I was like, exactly. Here, sir. Take this bucket of change.

• 13:30Laci Mosley?

This is a shakedown, and you're right. It should be.

• 13:33Speaker 03

But I got them in the end.

• 13:34Laci Mosley?

You did. Wow. Warning on that one. See, voiceover actor. All right, let's take a quick break and we'll be right back after some non-scam advertisements.

Rexulti... Con! And we are back. And it's time for What's Hot and Fraud? This is where we warn the listeners about popping scams on the zeitgeist. And more often than not these days, you know we get a letter from you all. As always, snitch on your friends and family and your enemies at [email protected]. Just make sure the scam is retired so we don't what? Yes, fuck up your bag. Hey, man, I need a fake name for this person. Priscilla, we don't care about you.

• 15:44Speaker 03

  Let us call them Zelda.

• 15:47Laci Mosley?

Zelda, that's actually gonna work out great.

• 15:50Speaker 03

  Perfect.

• 15:51Laci Mosley?

So Zelda says, "Here's a very specific and weird scam that someone tried on me a couple of years ago in Arizona. I was taking my time grocery shopping, considering which sauce to get or something. And I turned around and this absolutely gorgeous woman, dressed in this curve-hugging, cool-girl, hippie, jewel-tone fit, was making her way straight towards me."

• 16:14Laci Mosley?

She smiled as she approached me and I went stupid. She said, hey, I get a vibe from you. I am submitting like, yes, this big dyke energy is finally being recognized and appreciated. This is Zelda talking about herself.

• 16:28Speaker 03

  Okay Zelda.

• 16:29Laci Mosley?

Okay, Zelda says she got that BDE.

• 16:31Speaker 03

  Yes.

• 16:32Laci Mosley?

Yes. It says, I'm pretty femme, so I love being clocked in public, especially in a crusty city in a red state. Yeah.

• 16:39Speaker 03

  Yes.

• 16:40Laci Mosley?

That feels dangerous. I feel like if you are queer and you live in one of them crusty red states, you gotta be like.

• 16:46Speaker 03

  You gotta lock it up.

• 16:47Laci Mosley?

Right, you gotta wear the one earring again, like back in the day. You gotta remember which year's the gay one.

• 16:53Speaker 03

  The signal.

• 16:54Laci Mosley?

You gotta drop a little napkin by your ankle.

• 16:57Speaker 03

  Okay.

• 16:58Laci Mosley?

To tell the girls that you like to go down.

• 17:00Speaker 03

  Right.

• 17:01Laci Mosley?

Like you can't just be out here all willy-nilly. So I love this for both of them. So Zelda says, she continued, you have this amazing energy. I can see by your aura that there's something special about you. Like I can tell you have great energy. And so Zelda's like, I was still thinking I should definitely ask for her number when she said, okay, listen, I have a message for you. There's someone in the spiritual plane trying to communicate with you. Do you have a minute?

• 17:32Speaker 03

  Uh oh.

• 17:33Laci Mosley?

So this was starting to sound like the Long Island Medium. Parentheses, us camera, yes, we love Teresa Giudice. Why is it Teresa Giudice?

• 17:41Speaker 03

  Pretty close.

• 17:42Laci Mosley?

We do love Teresa, the Long Island Medium and her, and her, she brought back, uh, she single-handedly brought back the French tip.

• 17:47Speaker 03

  It was her.

• 17:48Laci Mosley?

  Yeah.

• 17:49Speaker 03

  Long Island Medium.

• 17:50Laci Mosley?

Who's laughing now? Cause now we're all getting French tips again. She's like, I'm like.

• 17:52Speaker 03

  Because of her.

• 17:54Laci Mosley?

Definitely not because of her. She just held on for so long that it came back. So she's a, she's a trend predictor.

• 18:00Speaker 03

I'm pretty sure all the influencers are following what the Long Island Medium is doing. Let's, let's be real.

• 18:05Laci Mosley?

  Teresa Caputo.

• 18:06Speaker 03

I know Gigi Hadid follows Teresa Caputo.

• 18:09Laci Mosley?

  She's a tastemaker, okay?

• 18:11Speaker 03

  Period.

• 18:12Laci Mosley?

Listen, she knows the past, the present and the future.

• 18:14Speaker 03

It's all so fast. And clearly, as she demonstrated with her nails.

• 18:17Laci Mosley?

She's like, mm, mm, mm, turtle necks are coming back. We're like, we believe you Teresa. Teresa Caputo, we stand. So she's saying that this starts sounding a little Long Island mediumish. Uh Zelda says, my guard goes up and my heart stopped fluttering. And I said, oh, I mean, sure. And she said, okay, great. So I do energy readings and I can give you some Reiki so you can receive the message. Have you ever had Reiki? And this is the camera talking, so if you don't know what Reiki is, it's energy healing. Yeah, because it's not quite a therapist. You don't necessarily have to be certified in Reiki.

• 18:53Speaker 03

  Yeah, yeah, you do.

• 18:54Laci Mosley?

Certain people are, but some people aren't.

• 18:57Speaker 03

I'm sure, but you're supposed, I mean, you can do a Reiki program and get your certification. You're supposed to, you're supposed to, yeah.

• 19:05Laci Mosley?

But correct me if I'm wrong, in Reiki, there's no physical touching.

• 19:08Speaker 03

  No, there's no touching.

• 19:10Laci Mosley?

They're literally just like waving their hands over your body and like doing energy healing. Now, here's my thing about Reiki, because I've heard people really love Reiki and it really helps and they feel the presence and the energies. So I definitely don't want to take away from that, but I'm sorry, if I don't pay for a session where I'm laying on the table, you better, you better rub one of these knots out.

• 19:28Speaker 03

  Touch me.

• 19:28Laci Mosley?

We need some Reiki massage combo. You better get into the shoulder blade and then, and then do a little hoodoo on top of it. I can't just be laying there like, hello? I'm like face down, like, you still here? Hello?

• 19:40Speaker 03

  So you've never done it?

• 19:41Laci Mosley?

  No, I haven't.

• 19:43Speaker 03

I did it once. Ironically, the person who did it is now a famous astrologer. Uh, I'm not going to say any names, uh, but she's a famous astrologer.

• 19:51Laci Mosley?

All the famous astrologers, so you don't tell.

• 19:53Speaker 03

Okay, okay. No, but she's like, like, people be taught, like, knowing her, I'm like, really? But yeah, so she did Reiki on me. This is like when I first went to LA and I didn't, I never went back. I just, no shade to her, but it did.

• 20:08Laci Mosley?

  It wasn't hitting?

• 20:09Speaker 03

It didn't hit, it didn't hit. I don't even know what I went there for.

• 20:12Laci Mosley?

And she said, let me lay on this table and let me not touch you.

• 20:15Speaker 03

  Yeah.

• 20:16Laci Mosley?

  Put the air around.

• 20:17Speaker 03

I, listen, you know, I do believe in energy. You know, we are obviously all made of energy. And I do think that, like, you can do.

• 20:26Laci Mosley?

  You can feel people's energy.

• 20:28Speaker 03

Yeah, and you can, you can, I've had moments where people have done stuff and I'm like, oh shit, I did feel that, you know? So I, I, I do. Believe it can work and I'm sure like maybe if I did it a few ti- you know, went back.

• 20:38Laci Mosley?

Well, it's also just about the person too. I feel like it's like, yeah, you can walk into any nail salon and get your nails done. Does that mean they'll be done well?

• 20:45Speaker 03

  Right, exactly.

• 20:46Laci Mosley?

Does that mean that maybe like the woman who's doing your nails will pop off one of your acrylics with a MetroCard? Maybe that happened to me in New York. She took off one of my acrylic nails with a MetroCard, popped that bitch off like it was normal. And I was just like, huh.

• 21:01Speaker 03

You're like, am I gonna fight or just get this manicure?

• 21:04Laci Mosley?

Worst manicure ever. She was so terrible, but I should have known when she did the MetroCard. It was time to go. That's not an official tool.

• 21:11Speaker 03

  Taken the MetroCard and left.

• 21:12Laci Mosley?

That in barbasol. She's like putting the MetroCard in barbasol, like sanitizing it for the next customer.

• 21:19Speaker 03

  It's not clean.

• 21:20Laci Mosley?

It's not clean at all. Like, I'm just glad I didn't get a hand infection or something fell off. So now back to Zelda. So Zelda says, now I'm confused. She says she wants to deliver a message, but wants to do an energy reading through Reiki. I was curious to see where this was going, but I was fully guarded now, especially since I knew a bit about Reiki from a friend who's a practitioner. I said, oh yeah, I've done Reiki a few times. She said, okay, that's great. So do you have a moment? Can I give you Reiki? Now, and Zelda said, I said, right here? In the grocery store, at the produce house?

• 21:57Speaker 03

Right next to the, the, uh, grapefruits?

• 22:00Laci Mosley?

In front of my salad dressing?

• 22:03Laci Mosley?

Like, Reiki is a thing. You don't do Reiki at Kroger?

• 22:06Speaker 03

Yeah, you don't. Maybe at Ralph's. Definitely not Kroger.

• 22:10Laci Mosley?

I feel like if you were gonna do Reiki anywhere, it's Whole Foods.

• 22:13Speaker 03

  Isn't it Kroger's?

• 22:14Laci Mosley?

  Or Erawan.

• 22:15Speaker 03

  Aren't we black?

• 22:16Laci Mosley?

  Yeah, we have this. It's Kroger's, it's Nordstrom's, it's JCPenney's.

• 22:21Speaker 03

  It sounds right to me.

• 22:22Laci Mosley?

And it is right. I actually, uh, I had a script supervisor at work the other day be like, Lacey, there's no S on besides. And I was like, what? And I was like, no, besides.

• 22:32Speaker 03

Yeah, but if you say like, well, besides, but if you use it by itself, but you.

• 22:36Laci Mosley?

  I was like, besides, no.

• 22:38Speaker 03

  Yeah, you can.

• 22:39Laci Mosley?

You know, and our script supervisor, our dialogue coach is also a black man. And he was like, damn, I didn't. Even noticed that.

• 22:46Laci Mosley?

It's a s on there. What do you mean that's seasoning?

• 22:48Speaker 03

  Besides.

• 22:49Laci Mosley?

Besides, alright, what y'all talking about?

• 22:52Speaker 03

  Yeah, the fuck?

• 22:53Laci Mosley?

So, besides that, they are in this damn store and Zelda says that the hot girl hippie wants to do Reiki on her in front of the eggplants. So obviously, that doesn't sound like a good situation.

• 23:08Speaker 03

  Right.

• 23:09Laci Mosley?

So I said, oh, right here? And again, we are in a grocery store, Zelda says. She says, if y'all have never had Reiki, usually you're in a very quiet setting, laying down or sitting in a sort of meditative environment. And she said, yes, it's just gonna be five hundred dollars.

• 23:25Speaker 03

Oh my, girl, if you don't hand me that mango and get the fuck up out of my face.

• 23:33Laci Mosley?

Do you know how much baby formula I could get for five hundred dollars at the grocery store? At least two cans.

• 23:38Speaker 03

Let me tell you why this grift-

• 23:39Laci Mosley?

It is expensive, but you think I'm in the most expensive shake down in the world right now? The grocery store, and you think I'm gonna give you five hundred dollars to do Reiki on me?

• 23:48Speaker 03

  In a grocery store?

• 23:49Laci Mosley?

In the frozen food aisle, like the green giant gonna be looking at us the whole time? No.

• 23:53Speaker 03

This scam fails, I don't know where it's headed and I look forward to hearing it, but let me just tell you why it's already fucking up.

• 23:59Laci Mosley?

  Okay.

• 23:59Speaker 03

First of all, who brings five hundred dollars cash to the grocery store? Let's start there. Number two, who trying to get Reiki? As you said, in the frozen food section.

• 24:12Laci Mosley?

She must have been a real bad bitch.

• 24:13Speaker 03

I, she, I mean, I just, I don't know what she was thinking that she thought she could pull this off.

• 24:19Laci Mosley?

I think she thought I'm sexy.

• 24:20Speaker 03

  Pretty privileged.

• 24:21Laci Mosley?

Yeah, pretty privileged, and she definitely must have a lot of it, because if you come up to somebody selling them this kind of bridge, selling them this kind of bullshit, you must be a fine ass bitch.

• 24:31Speaker 03

  Okay.

• 24:32Laci Mosley?

To the point where people just gonna listen to you while they're staring at you.

• 24:36Speaker 03

And pull out a wad of cash that they have, definitely.

• 24:39Laci Mosley?

They're like, I don't know, you need it more than me. Being sexy must be expensive.

• 24:43Speaker 03

  Clearly.

• 24:43Laci Mosley?

It is, so she does need that money.

• 24:46Speaker 03

  It's true.

• 24:47Laci Mosley?

So Zelda says, five hundred dollars for a grocery store medium?

• 24:52Laci Mosley?

I look like that much of a self? I kinda chuckled and said, oh no, that's alright actually. One of my dearest friends is a Reiki master, so I go to her pretty often and she doesn't charge me five hundred dollars. I could see her starting to get annoyed, but she tried to stay charming. She said, okay, that's fine. I really wanna get this message to you. So, what did she charge you?

• 25:13Laci Mosley?

Sorry to sound like you're Israeli Roxman. She's like, okay, five hundred dollars is too much. The message could be cheaper.

• 25:21Laci Mosley?

I think the message could be, let me talk to the spirits. Okay, they said the message could be a little cheaper.

• 25:25Speaker 03

They sent me a code, okay?

• 25:27Laci Mosley?

They sent me a discount code from the spirit world.

• 25:29Speaker 03

So, I can take that down.

• 25:31Laci Mosley?

Yeah, you just gotta use Astroplane forty-seven, okay? And the spirits are gonna give you a discount for, only for first time customers. So, I got a big shit eating grin on my face, says Zelda, and she said, she told the scammer, well, she gives me a great friend discount, like fifty dollars. She was getting very impatient at this point and said, okay, fine, I'll do it for fifty dollars.

• 25:55Speaker 03

  Damn.

• 25:55Laci Mosley?

  You got memo?

• 25:57Speaker 03

Damn, she really needed that money.

• 25:59Laci Mosley?

Yeah, but she started so high. She started with five hundred dollars for a grocery store Reiki. And then came down so hard.

• 26:08Speaker 03

So hard. I'm questioning the quality of this Reiki.

• 26:13Laci Mosley?

Five hundred dollars, okay, a dollar.

• 26:17Speaker 03

Whatever you got in your pockets.

• 26:18Laci Mosley?

This is crack and negotiation, okay? You started just wanting a VCR, Felicia, like what?

• 26:24Speaker 03

  Yeah, it's giving Felicia.

• 26:27Laci Mosley?

Like, girl, that's, that's too big of a price drop.

• 26:29Speaker 03

  Boholisha.

• 26:30Laci Mosley?

Boholisha. So in a split second, her whole ethereal sexy hippie vibe fully dropped. She sucked her teeth, rolled her eyes, pivoted, and walked away.

• 26:40Speaker 03

She was like a whole different, you know what, who she reminds me of? Hippies who are really evil on the inside.

• 26:47Laci Mosley?

I know exactly who you're talking about.

• 26:48Speaker 03

  You know, like?

• 26:49Laci Mosley?

  That bitch is evil.

• 26:50Speaker 03

Right? It, it's so interesting, like, that was just a whole fucking facade.

• 26:54Laci Mosley?

Yeah, I'm very leery of people who are too, like, anytime anybody makes anything their whole thing. I'm like, you're full of shit. I don't care what it is. I don't care if you love running. If running is your whole thing and every like you can't just not be a like you something's wrong with you.

• 27:10Speaker 03

That you make it your personality.

• 27:12Laci Mosley?

Yeah, if it's your personality, you're a sick fuck like and and you're trying to hide from the fact that you're not a good person. So you've made something your personality. Distract people from the fact that you're evil and don't have one.

• 27:22Speaker 03

  Yeah.

• 27:23Laci Mosley?

Um, your personality is getting what you want from people. So you gotta trick them. And like, uh, any time I see the the girlies like, look, I love a crystal. I love a sage. I love a a candle that I burned for three days straight and risk burning my hometown, but it's for vibes. Like, I love all of that shit, but like people who are too like, oh, yeah, well, you know, we're just vibrating here and it's our whole personality. I'm like, bitch, what are you hiding?

• 27:44Speaker 03

  Yeah.

• 27:44Laci Mosley?

You fucking crook, you sociopath. What's wrong with you?

• 27:47Speaker 03

I want, now I wanna know what her real story is, like what this hippie's real story was.

• 27:53Laci Mosley?

I do too, but we know the real story is rooted in grifting and manipulation is been a survival tactic for a very long time.

• 27:59Speaker 03

Damn, Lacey just dressed her down.

• 28:02Laci Mosley?

  Like, so sorry.

• 28:05Laci Mosley?

So sorry, sis. We know what you up to. So, cause immediately when she can't get what she wants, she's no longer nice anymore.

• 28:09Speaker 03

  Exactly.

• 28:10Laci Mosley?

We've met those people who are like so friendly, so in your place, but the second they realize you're not a fool, they turn on you and they turn on you hard. A lot of time they're vengeful too.

• 28:19Speaker 03

  Yeah.

• 28:19Laci Mosley?

Like they're the pettiest motherfuckers. They're like, you didn't let me trick you? Alright bitch, I'll be waiting outside your bushes for the next six months.

• 28:25Speaker 03

Yeah, there, yeah, exactly. There's a type of people that like, like, you know, ruminate on things and like, yeah.

• 28:31Laci Mosley?

They feel scorned. They feel like they're the victim when someone doesn't let them victimize them.

• 28:36Speaker 03

  It's narcissism.

• 28:37Laci Mosley?

Yeah. Exactly. So any, and I'm telling y'all, if y'all got anybody out there who made their whole personality a thing that's not a part of personalities, you're dealing with a narcissist.

• 28:45Speaker 03

Not a part. The key is it can't actually be a part of personalities.

• 28:49Laci Mosley?

Right. A personality can be like, oh, you're fun or you're, you like to joke or you.

• 28:55Laci Mosley?

You like to travel. That can be a part of your personality, but like.

• 28:59Speaker 03

But you have to be, well, human beings are multifaceted. And that's one of the things that really, uh, bothers me is that because we live in a society that's just so, you know, everything should just be one thing and fit into a box. People who are actually multifaceted, like everybody else was at them, like they're crazy, like they're doing too much. You know what I mean? And it's like, baby, we supposed to be doing more than just one thing on this planet, you know?

• 29:19Laci Mosley?

No, man. Look, we're supposed to be. Well, I'm a, I'm a shoe guy. I do shoes.

• 29:25Speaker 03

  I mean.

• 29:26Laci Mosley?

  I'm a shoe head, a sneaker head.

• 29:27Speaker 03

Be a sneaker head Monday through Friday. That's full time sneaker heads. I know that. That's, that's, that's 24/7. But, you know.

• 29:33Laci Mosley?

They kind of wrap all their shoes in plastic.

• 29:35Speaker 03

  My god.

• 29:36Laci Mosley?

I'm not sure if you understand.

• 29:37Speaker 03

They have to lick their clean soles every, every 15 minutes.

• 29:40Laci Mosley?

I've seen someone do that in person, lick the soles, because it's the only time you can lick it is when it's out the box.

• 29:45Speaker 03

I've seen DJ Khaled do it.

• 29:47Laci Mosley?

Factories, dude, like we're rats for running around.

• 29:50Speaker 03

Yeah, and factories are nasty as fuck, dawg.

• 29:53Laci Mosley?

Especially ones that don't make food. Their standards are low, low.

• 29:56Speaker 03

Because the, the ones that make food, the standards are regular low.

• 29:59Laci Mosley?

Yeah, pretty low. They're like, you can have like a little bit of roach in each, in each snack bar, like, literally.

• 30:05Speaker 03

As long as it's just like no more than three roach legs, you're fine.

• 30:08Laci Mosley?

That's literally what the FDA does. Like, we're not joking. We be eating all types of wild shit. If it's in packaging, honey. They got a, a little threshold.

• 30:17Speaker 03

Listen, I learned that whenever you open a can, which we're sipping on right now, anytime you open a can, you should wa, which we did not do.

• 30:24Laci Mosley?

  I know.

• 30:24Speaker 03

But you're supposed to like wipe down the top. Because the rats be peeing and shitting on the, like, basically, like, crazy, crazy shit be going down in the factory at, at the dark.

• 30:33Laci Mosley?

At this point, I've done so much piss play with rodents, I just gotta take the L. I gotta take the L.

• 30:37Speaker 03

  No, no.

• 30:38Laci Mosley?

I gotta just take the little Ratatouille L.

• 30:40Speaker 03

  I take some golden showers.

• 30:43Laci Mosley?

  Not intentionally.

• 30:44Speaker 03

  An unintentional golden shower.

• 30:46Laci Mosley?

If you do take them intentionally, then look, that's your life. As long as everybody's participating and having a good time and wants to be there, you do that. Not at all. I'm saying I'm just unwillingly doing it as I suck on this Coke can. But here we are. Here we are in life, okay? So what don't kill you brings you close to death, but doesn't kill you.

• 31:06Speaker 03

  Makes your body hurt.

• 31:09Laci Mosley?

What doesn't kill you makes your body hurt? That should literally be the phrase. Why does it makes you stronger? It doesn't. If someone attempts, makes an attempt on your life, you are mostly for certain gonna be weaker.

• 31:21Speaker 03

  Okay.

• 31:23Laci Mosley?

Like Kelly Cartelade does. But doesn't kill you makes you weaker.

• 31:28Speaker 03

  Yeah, yeah, fragile.

• 31:30Laci Mosley?

  Fragile.

• 31:32Speaker 03

  Broken, distraught, disheveled.

• 31:35Laci Mosley?

But that's okay. Look, we gotta rebrand. Toxic positivity. We all about it. Okay, anyway. So as soon as this gripper doesn't get what she wants, she sucks her teeth, she walks away. So then Zelda says, "I saw her trying this a few more times on other shoppers as I continued through the store. She didn't even have a basket. I smiled at her every time we passed each other and she just rolled her eyes back at me."

• 31:55Speaker 03

  Wow.

• 31:56Laci Mosley?

Someone must have finally reported her because by the time I checked out and got to my car, she was being kicked out of the store.

• 32:02Speaker 03

I wanna, Zelda, first of all, I wanna give you props for taking the high road. Like, I give you mad respect. And I, and I, and I, me, I don't know. I'm from New Jersey. I like to fight. You know what I mean? So I feel like this would have, you know, I would have gone off on this bitch. I, I probably wouldn't have. I don't know. It depends on how I was feeling that day. But I appreciate that you just, you were like, you know, I smiled at her every time she rolled her eyes right back at me. Killed him with kindness. You know what I mean?

• 32:26Laci Mosley?

Cause the girl's just mad because you didn't give her what she wanted. So yeah, you should be smiling cause you're like, ha, ha, na, na, na, boo, boo. Like, like Cardi B said, eh, ha. Like, you know, yeah, you should. But also, what's intriguing to me is this woman didn't even try to sell the fantasy of like, she was at this grocery store for anything other than a grip.

• 32:43Speaker 03

She had nothing in her hands.

• 32:45Laci Mosley?

No, she had no basket. She was pushing. She, uh, she had no cart. She had no basket. She didn't even pick up one item. She had no list. She definitely had no list. This is, this is how bitches go in the Target, okay? I always go to Target with no list, no basket, and no cart. Cause I'm like, I know what I came in here for. Next cut to me like hands full, filling out.

• 33:04Speaker 03

Really? Y'all was like, I'm, okay.

• 33:07Laci Mosley?

And you know, that's the most shameful part of Target is when you gotta go over to the security guard where he got the carts and he's like, yeah, bitch, you thought.

• 33:13Speaker 03

  Take this shit.

• 33:14Laci Mosley?

Yeah. Put your shit in that cart. Take your ass back over there. Oh, you, oh, you thought you was coming here for some toothpaste? That's hilarious.

• 33:20Speaker 03

Yeah. Right. And you know what? Give me some dentine.

• 33:24Laci Mosley?

Ice. Okay. Remember those dentine ice commercials?

• 33:27Speaker 03

I remember the winter fresh ones. Remember those?

• 33:30Laci Mosley?

Yeah. When I think about gum commercials, I think about how they're just as stupid but seem to be on the inside of being stupid commercials, whereas perfume commercials are not. So I think of perfume commercials and gum commercials as the same thing. You're selling something that we cannot smell or that we cannot- Taste, right?

• 33:46Speaker 03

  Okay.

• 33:46Laci Mosley?

So you gotta like sell the vibe of it. So perfume be like, it's a day of riding a horse. You wanna smell like that? I'm like, I mean, she's a bad bitch. She probably smells great on that horse. Yeah, I will wanna smell like that.

• 33:56Speaker 03

That's true. I never thought about it like that.

• 33:58Laci Mosley?

Charlize Theron, she wearing gold and now she throwing it all off and then she getting in the pool. You wanna smell like that?

• 34:03Speaker 03

  I never thought of that.

• 34:05Laci Mosley?

And Dinty Nice is like the more comedic dumb version of that, like where they're like, ah, and then mouth opens and they have like blue crystals flying out their mouth to somebody that they talking to at the club. And they're like kissing and the light's sexy.

• 34:18Speaker 03

Always the sound of the wind.

• 34:19Laci Mosley?

  Right.

• 34:20Speaker 03

And I always imagined it being freezing.

• 34:22Laci Mosley?

You want some fucking top of the mountain peppermint patty freezing ass breath?

• 34:27Speaker 03

  Okay.

• 34:28Laci Mosley?

I want them to open their mouth one time and just like icicle comes out like it's hard. That's how cold it is.

• 34:33Speaker 03

  It's a little weird.

• 34:34Laci Mosley?

Is it weirder than what's already happening?

• 34:36Speaker 03

  A little fetishy.

• 34:37Laci Mosley?

That a frozen ice comes out of anybody's mouth? Oh, okay.

• 34:41Speaker 03

Yeah, think about the shape of that icicle. Yeah, it's very phallic.

• 34:44Laci Mosley?

  Sure, fine.

• 34:45Speaker 03

  I'm just saying.

• 34:46Laci Mosley?

Fair. I was, I was, I was thinking about it.

• 34:48Speaker 03

My brain's in the gutter. Sorry.

• 34:49Laci Mosley?

But anyway, she ain't even had no Dinty. She had nothing. She was just walking around the store being fine and targeting people. It's a good scam, but it's also a dumb ass scam. Cause it's like, who wants to get rubbed on at the fucking Kroger's?

• 35:01Speaker 03

And not even rubbed on, like you, so imagine.

• 35:03Laci Mosley?

  Vibed on.

• 35:04Speaker 03

  Imagine.

• 35:04Laci Mosley?

  For five hundred dollars.

• 35:05Speaker 03

Right? Imagine you're at the Kroger's and you're standing, you're standing up next to the mac and cheese, okay? And this lady's just doing all this woo woo. I mean, how insane must that look? You know what I mean? Like, girl, ain't nobody trying to be in pub. I didn't even wanna do that shit behind closed doors.

• 35:22Laci Mosley?

It is embarrassing behind closed doors. It's definitely more embarrassing to do it in front of people. As we're also hearing, just like, boop.

• 35:32Laci Mosley?

You over here getting a message.

• 35:34Speaker 03

Clean up on aisle three. Clean up on aisle three.

• 35:36Laci Mosley?

The ancestors are saying, and I'm like, why is this happening to me?

• 35:39Speaker 03

Also the grift of like, I need to do Reiki to get the message. Bitch, give me the message.

• 35:43Laci Mosley?

Yeah, give me the message right now.

• 35:45Speaker 03

Just charge me for the message. Like, why do you, that's the other reason. Girl, I know you, I'm pretty privileged. That's all I gotta say. Cause like, girl, you didn't think this through.

• 35:53Laci Mosley?

No, and that's not how Reiki works. And I know you just found a buzzword and were like, yes.

• 35:57Speaker 03

Right? It's like so fucking dumb.

• 35:59Laci Mosley?

I'm gonna do EMDRT for a specific message, but also for five hundred dollars. And we must do it in the produce aisle.

• 36:04Speaker 03

  That's not how it works.

• 36:05Laci Mosley?

At all. But guys, we're gonna take a quick break for some non-scam advertisements and we'll be right back with historic hoodwink.

• 37:43Laci Mosley?

And we are back. It's time for my favorite part of the show, historic hood, where this is where I will regale Priscilla with the famous con caper group of criminals. We don't know until we know, but we'll see if we love them or if we hate them. I'm so excited. So today, a content warning at the top here. There is a brief mention of someone taking their own life, so we're just gonna say that up top, but we'll try to get over that as quickly and kindly as possible, because we don't like to do the dark stuff here. So for almost 20 years, Mari Moro Somoroguchi was one of Japan's most beloved composers. We have a picture of him right now up there on the screen. And is he holding the cane?

• 38:25Speaker 03

  Uh, yeah, he is.

• 38:26Laci Mosley?

Okay, and he's in a chair and he's got on sunglasses and he's got long hair, luscious hair.

• 38:33Speaker 03

  Beautiful hair.

• 38:33Laci Mosley?

Yeah, this is like, and you could tell he didn't do anything to it. So if they like ran a flat iron to the edge or like a little blowout, like it would really be giving.

• 38:41Speaker 03

  It's nice.

• 38:41Laci Mosley?

So he was one of Japan's most beloved composers, with some even calling him Japan's Beethoven. He was lauded as a musical genius who, despite becoming deaf later in life, composed beautiful works. However, after building a career for eighteen years, it was revealed that Somoroguchi may not be as musical or hard of hearing as he said. So he had a cane and he had on sunglasses.

• 39:05Speaker 03

  Yeah.

• 39:05Laci Mosley?

  So my assumption was that.

• 39:07Speaker 03

  He's blind?

• 39:08Laci Mosley?

  Yeah.

• 39:09Speaker 03

I guess he mixed up the disabilities. He was like, um, yes, I cannot, I am deaf, I cannot hear, and that's why I wear sunglasses and I have a cane. Yeah.

• 39:20Laci Mosley?

Okay, okay, well, let's, let's read on, because we don't know yet, but it's giving like you went to the store for the wrong costume.

• 39:28Laci Mosley?

So Somoroguchi was born September twenty first, nineteen sixty-three in Hiroshima. Uh, both of his parents, or Hiroshima, why did I say Hiroshima? Like, I combined the last one from talking.

• 39:39Speaker 03

You were talking so much shit about.

• 39:40Laci Mosley?

I was talking so much shit about knowing how to pronounce Hiroshima, because it's, they gave me a phonetic here, and I was like, I went to school, guys, I read, and then I literally said Hiroshima. And he was from Hiroshima.

• 39:49Speaker 03

Y'all know I fought in Hiroshima, right?

• 39:54Laci Mosley?

So both of his parents were victims of the effects of the atomic bomb, people also known as hibakosha. So these are people who, when our trash-ass nation.

• 40:06Speaker 03

  Yeah.

• 40:06Laci Mosley?

  Dropped bombs on innocent people.

• 40:08Speaker 03

  Yeah.

• 40:09Laci Mosley?

Uh, you know, the, the effects of those, radiation-wise, like, still.

• 40:13Speaker 03

  To this day.

• 40:14Laci Mosley?

We don't need bombs, nobody needs bombs.

• 40:17Speaker 03

  White men need bombs.

• 40:18Laci Mosley?

And that's why we need to stop them. Cause they don't, like bitch, if y'all wanna fight wars, let's just designate, and I think I've said this before, let's designate some place in Iceland or somewhere where all the leaders, all the people who wanna put their dick on the table, instead of trying to send innocent young people who need healthcare and they need, you know, to take care of their families to survive, to over to fight your shit, y'all go over there and y'all fist fight each other bitch, leave us out of it, like, what I got to do with that?

• 40:44Speaker 03

Ah, you know, I just don't understand. Well, I guess, I guess I get it. I was like, I don't understand the grift of like, you know, getting convinced into like war, but I guess when you have to defend your territory, I get that, but then it's just.

• 40:56Laci Mosley?

Is anything ever ours? Bitch, when we die, we don't get nothing, we can't take no land with us?

• 41:00Speaker 03

Listen, we, black people, understand that this planet is not for us to have, it's for us to enjoy while we're here and share amongst each other. Most black and brown people understands that, you know, the problem is not coming from us. You understand what I'm saying?

• 41:17Laci Mosley?

Yes, no, I get it. It's like, if everybody's at a golden corral, it feels like all the people of color and minorities and disenfranchised people are just like, oh, let's get a scoop of potatoes, let's get this. And then the straight white man comes in, he starts wheeling out all the buffet tables.

• 41:30Speaker 03

  Okay.

• 41:31Laci Mosley?

Fucking food. Okay. Bro, we just enjoying the buffet. He's like, no, I own the buffet.

• 41:35Speaker 03

I own it, now you gotta pay me for it, yeah.

• 41:38Laci Mosley?

Bro, why? So anyways, his parents were, you know, victims of the effects of this. So, he rose to international fame with his contributions to the soundtrack of the first Resident Evil video game in the late nineties. And this gem is included, so we have like a little, a little snippet of his Resident Evil bop, which I didn't even know like, video game soundtracks were that often.

• 42:01Speaker 03

  Oh.

• 42:03Laci Mosley?

Okay, turn this off. Oh my god, I'm terrified, okay.

• 42:07Speaker 03

  That's the sound?

• 42:08Laci Mosley?

Yeah, that's the sound. I guess they like that over there.

• 42:12Speaker 03

  Sounding like a fart machine.

• 42:15Laci Mosley?

Damn, we was calling him Beethoven early, not Japan's Beethoven, it was like.

• 42:23Laci Mosley?

Look, they like, whatever they doing now in Resident Evil, I know it's a very popular game, so, this is also the late nineties, so we have to give him the technological grace.

• 42:30Speaker 03

I hope that was just the intro.

• 42:32Laci Mosley?

Yeah, maybe it got bussed in.

• 42:33Speaker 03

Maybe the beats come in later.

• 42:34Laci Mosley?

Yeah, maybe the beat hasn't dropped yet, but it was, it was not giving one, we thought.

• 42:42Laci Mosley?

Suma R. Gucci was lauded for the beauty of his music, wait, what, that music was a beautiful behind. The beauty of his music, despite going deaf at the age of thirty-five, around that time, he began composing for a number of video games. Note, he told people he started to lose his hearing due to a degenerative disease. So, if you lose something with a degenerative disease, like, it's a slow, it can be slow, it can be very quickly, depending on the pace, but you know.

• 43:07Speaker 03

But it's not an instant thing.

• 43:08Laci Mosley?

No, exactly. So he claimed to rely on his perfect pitch to compose after losing his hearing. In a two thousand one Time Magazine interview, he said, "If you trust your inner sense of sound, you create something that is truer. Losing my hearing was a gift from God." I just feel like this specific business.

• 43:28Laci Mosley?

Like, maybe if he was partially, or you know, was using like an aid or something, but like, if you completely lose your hearing, I feel like that would kind of hurt.

• 43:36Speaker 03

  Well, I mean, didn't.

• 43:37Laci Mosley?

I don't think it makes it impossible.

• 43:38Speaker 03

  Wasn't Beethoven deaf?

• 43:40Laci Mosley?

  Maybe.

• 43:41Speaker 03

One of those dudes was up. It's like Bach or Beethoven or.

• 43:45Laci Mosley?

But like, I also know that, like, deaf friends have told me that, like, they still like, love, you know, be at the concerts, be with the music.

• 43:52Speaker 03

Yeah, they feel the vibrations, yeah.

• 43:53Laci Mosley?

Feel the vibrations, like, you know, so there's still having, so people, so you can enjoy music, no matter what. But I feel like this sentence to me is giving like, grift.

• 44:05Laci Mosley?

It's like doubling down a little too hard. Like, I feel like most people would be like, if, if, you know, hearing was a huge part of my career, then if I slowly lost it, like, I would be like, this is devastating.

• 44:14Speaker 03

  Right.

• 44:14Laci Mosley?

I wouldn't immediately be so positive.

• 44:16Speaker 03

I understand what you're saying. Yes. I mean, some people like to find the bright side immediately.

• 44:20Laci Mosley?

  That's true.

• 44:21Speaker 03

Toxic positivity. And look, we see Beethoven, yeah, Beethoven was deaf. I don't know if he was still composing afterwards. I think he did. Or maybe he didn't, I don't know.

• 44:31Laci Mosley?

  Yeah.

• 44:31Speaker 03

You reveal the issues, including large amounts of lead in his system. Oh, damn.

• 44:36Laci Mosley?

Beethoven got poisoned with the lead?

• 44:38Speaker 03

  Damn.

• 44:39Laci Mosley?

Damn. So, you know, that makes sense with them calling him Japan's Beethoven. So now he's like, I really am Japan's Beethoven.

• 44:46Speaker 03

  Yeah.

• 44:47Laci Mosley?

He's just kind of following the same.

• 44:48Speaker 03

He's following the, the, the script.

• 44:50Laci Mosley?

Blueprint. So he became even more well-known with his two thousand and three composition Symphony Number One, Hiroshima, intended to be a memorial piece for the Hikikusha. Um, in two thousand and eight, he was given Citizens Award by the mayor for his artistic contributions. And remember, Hikikusha are the people who have suffered residual effects from bombs being dropped on Hiroshima and Nagasaki. So he did this in dedication to those people and his parents are in that number. So, you know, that's like a big deal. In two thousand and eleven, after Japan's earthquake and subsequent tsunami and, uh, nuclear meltdown disaster, Symphony Number One was transformed into a kind of theme song of National Survivor.

• 45:27Speaker 03

  Wow.

• 45:28Laci Mosley?

  Or Survivor.

• 45:29Speaker 03

So this motherfucker was popping in Japan.

• 45:31Laci Mosley?

Yes, he was popping in Japan. Basically, he wrote up a new national anthem for him.

• 45:36Speaker 03

  Damn.

• 45:36Laci Mosley?

  Real quick.

• 45:37Speaker 03

How come we never heard of him?

• 45:39Laci Mosley?

  I mean.

• 45:40Speaker 03

  I guess he just couldn't.

• 45:41Laci Mosley?

  We don't play Resident Evil.

• 45:42Speaker 03

  Bridge that gap.

• 45:44Laci Mosley?

I'm sure people know about him over here.

• 45:46Speaker 03

  Sure, sure, sure.

• 45:46Laci Mosley?

But we just, I guess we not on that level.

• 45:48Speaker 03

Maybe in the video game world, yeah.

• 45:50Laci Mosley?

And maybe other places, composers be famous, like, they be having that.

• 45:52Speaker 03

Composers be famous. Good to know.

• 45:56Laci Mosley?

We don't know, like, they, they might be famous. But also, it's interesting to me that there was an earthquake, there was a tsunami, and a nuclear meltdown disaster.

• 46:05Speaker 03

  Yeah.

• 46:06Laci Mosley?

He was like, hey, y'all, bump my song.

• 46:07Speaker 03

He was like, you know what would make us feel better in this moment? Wah wah, wah wah.

• 46:16Laci Mosley?

Play my SoundCloud real quick at the memorial.

• 46:20Speaker 03

  What, what?

• 46:22Laci Mosley?

And I'm sure, don't drag us, I'm sure he got some bustin' tunes. That one was just a video game, that's the one that we pulled up, which it was just shocking that it was that.

• 46:29Speaker 03

I need the Resident Evil stands not to come for us.

• 46:31Laci Mosley?

Literally, they're getting ready. So through a documentary produced by NHK, Japan's national broadcaster, Samaguchi, was likewise turned into the face of strength and resilience for the Japanese people. I hate how that's written, I'm so sorry, but basically, they put him on TV and they were like, this is our girl, and he's

• 46:49Speaker 03

  The symbol.

• 46:50Laci Mosley?

  Helping us through the music.

• 46:51Speaker 03

  Yeah.

• 46:52Laci Mosley?

He's surviving, and he's just like Beethoven, in every way.

• 46:55Speaker 03

  Yeah.

• 46:55Laci Mosley?

A little too coincidentally, but we're going with it.

• 46:59Laci Mosley?

In 2014, Japanese Olympic figure skater, Daisuke Takahashi, was set to perform to Samaguchi's Sonatina violin. At the time, though, it was revealed that that may not actually have been his work.

• 47:13Speaker 03

  Ooh.

• 47:14Laci Mosley?

So he was claiming that he composed Sonatina, but now, as soon as this huge Olympic figure skater is about to skate to it, they're like, now wait a minute, child. This is not yours.

• 47:24Speaker 03

I'm just curious, what flipped the switch?

• 47:26Laci Mosley?

So days before he would perform, Samaguchi, now 50, came forward to confess that the most famous of his works had been written by someone else. It became clear why he confessed when he did, as the following day, the ghostwriter himself stepped forward to further elaborate

• 47:40Speaker 03

  He was blackmailing.

• 47:41Laci Mosley?

Yo, on the lies that Samaguchi had used for years to bolster his career. So he said, I'm about to take all your shit down.

• 47:48Speaker 03

  Damn.

• 47:49Laci Mosley?

To the point where Samaguchi had to come out and be like, ah, ah, don't start skating yet. Put the torch out, Olympics, put that bitch out.

• 47:57Speaker 03

  Put it out.

• 47:57Laci Mosley?

Michelle, sit down, Michelle Kwan, sit your ass down. Um, actually, I did not write this song, it's very crazy.

• 48:03Speaker 03

  Bad news, guys.

• 48:06Speaker 03

The truth is, I'm a liar. I'm a fucking fraud and I can hear everything you're saying right now.

• 48:13Laci Mosley?

The truth is, I'm a liar is now my favorite phrase. The truth is, I'm a liar.

• 48:19Speaker 03

I don't know if we're gonna get more details, but I'm curious to see how he was holding this guy hostage this whole time in the first place.

• 48:24Laci Mosley?

Right, so Takashi Nagaki, forty-three years old, is largely unknown. And he was a part-time lecturer at a school of music.

• 48:32Speaker 03

  Did you see this guy?

• 48:33Laci Mosley?

Oh my goodness. Yeah, this is the kind of guy you steal his music.

• 48:37Speaker 03

  Literally.

• 48:38Laci Mosley?

  You steal his music.

• 48:39Speaker 03

I would have stolen his music too, dog. You deserve it, sorry.

• 48:42Laci Mosley?

I've never thought of myself as a bully, but I've never seen someone that I wanted to push in a locker so bad.

• 48:47Speaker 03

  Oh my god.

• 48:48Laci Mosley?

He looks cute and really sweet, though.

• 48:50Speaker 03

He looks really cute and sweet, but I totally get why he got, he got, uh, murked.

• 48:53Laci Mosley?

Yeah, I believe he has gotten a swirly once or twice in his life, though.

• 48:57Speaker 03

A thousand percent. And honestly, the bow tie's not helping, guy.

• 49:00Laci Mosley?

  It's, it's so small, too.

• 49:01Speaker 03

  Yeah, like, what is that?

• 49:02Laci Mosley?

And the suit is wrinkly, babes. What's going on? Just giving class photo, like senior class photo when they give you that big suit jacket.

• 49:10Speaker 03

Isn't the little pocket square supposed to match the, the bow tie? No?

• 49:13Laci Mosley?

Not necessarily. He might have been trying to hit us with some drip. I'm not mad at that. He seems cute.

• 49:19Speaker 03

I will say, though, that the, the, uh, bow tie is giving a little bit. I'm not gonna lie, cause it's, it's different.

• 49:24Laci Mosley?

Yeah, it's even a little bit. Look, we, we're becoming more...

• 49:27Speaker 03

What was I saying? I'm sorry.

• 49:29Laci Mosley?

Takashi, and I started like saying I wanted to push Takashi in a locker. Now I'm like, Takashi, you're adorable.

• 49:35Speaker 03

Let's, let's issue a formal apology to Takashi.

• 49:37Laci Mosley?

Takashi, we're so sorry. You already got stolen from us, Kim. We shouldn't have come in that hard.

• 49:42Speaker 03

  Takashi six-nine, we are sorry.

• 49:44Laci Mosley?

Oh, no, not the six-nine one now. You get your cousin six-nine, get his bitch ass out of here. So, he's also the true author of Samaguchi's music. Takashi said that he had written more than twenty songs for Samaguchi since nineteen ninety-six, for which he received the equivalent of about seventy thousand dollars. He said he pushed Samaguchi to come forward after years of begging him to go public because he couldn't stand the deception in the face of an Olympic performance. So now he's like, my good ass music is going to the Olympics.

• 50:14Speaker 03

Right, that was, that was the strong. That broke the camel's back.

• 50:16Laci Mosley?

Yeah, if you think about how much money he was probably making the appearances, like signing stuff, all these tall tales that he sold people that made him seem like a Beethoven hero.

• 50:25Speaker 03

Right. I mean, also seventy K, starting in the nineties.

• 50:29Laci Mosley?

  It's twenty fourteen.

• 50:30Speaker 03

  Right.

• 50:31Laci Mosley?

So starting in the nineties, seventy K total.

• 50:34Speaker 03

  It's not a lot.

• 50:35Laci Mosley?

Pushing about twenty five years. How long can you stretch seventy K?

• 50:39Speaker 03

Meanwhile, this guy is winning Grammys. Japanese Grammys, Japanese American Music Awards.

• 50:45Laci Mosley?

Imagine you ghostwriting and then they like, this is the new national anthem for Japan. And you sitting in the corner like, for real?

• 50:52Speaker 03

I mean, you know, shout out to ghostwriters. Couldn't be me.

• 50:55Laci Mosley?

No, same. I mean, like, as long as you get your coin and you get paid and whatever credit you want, but this feels like he's just still your shit. And I'm trying to understand why still. So he also said that he never believed Sarah Maguchi was deaf and that they had normal conversations. And that Sarah Maguchi provided feedback on the music that he wrote for him. According to Takashi, he says, at first he acted to me as if he had suffered hearing loss. But he stopped doing so eventually. Later, I found out that he cannot even write musical scores.

• 51:23Speaker 03

God damn. Nigga, what you doing here? What is you doing here in the music department?

• 51:28Laci Mosley?

Takashi, okay, question for you though, King. Clearly you know how to write music. So if he's sending you notes. Then the fuck is he sending you notes? And how do you not realize he don't know how to write music? He was like, yeah, can you take the fourth treble clef up?

• 51:43Laci Mosley?

What is he saying to you? Cause he don't know about music. He like, yeah, let's get that in the minor key and the major key. Mix in a little of that contralto and soprano. You know what I'm talking about? Don't read me five so latito. That's just one email. That's all it says.

• 51:58Speaker 03

Literally. So, so I, so, so, sorry. Does Takashi? Is he saying that the reason why he started doing for this guy was because he came and said, I had hearing loss at first?

• 52:10Laci Mosley?

Maybe. He said, what started as a lighthearted relationship turned serious over the years. But when Takashi wanted out, Sarah Maguchi said that he would commit suicide if he didn't continue helping him.

• 52:21Speaker 03

  And there it goes.

• 52:23Laci Mosley?

  Oh, the, the abuse.

• 52:25Speaker 03

  Abuse, yeah.

• 52:27Laci Mosley?

So in response, Sarah Maguchi held a press conference of his own. And though he admitted to much of his work being written by Takashi, he denied many of the other claims. He said that he was completely deaf in one ear, but had some hearing that was assisted by a hearing aid and that his hearing was coming back.

• 52:44Speaker 03

Oh my god, I think I hear something.

• 52:46Laci Mosley?

Like, damn, what was that? Oh, okay, see, it's coming back.

• 52:52Laci Mosley?

Y'all know how sometimes it be going and coming.

• 52:54Speaker 03

  And now it's coming.

• 52:55Laci Mosley?

  And now it's coming.

• 52:56Speaker 03

  Now it's coming.

• 52:57Laci Mosley?

  I can feel it.

• 52:57Speaker 03

Oh my god, I feel it.

• 52:58Laci Mosley?

In the air tonight, oh lord, that's my new song, y'all, don't.

• 53:02Speaker 03

Write it down. Tekashi, get in here now. Oh shit.

• 53:10Laci Mosley?

He started answering questions at the interview, they were like, you can't hear. Just a little bit, y'all, just a little taste of it coming back. So, even after public apologies were issued by all involved, and the he said, he said continued, Sarah Maguchi's remaining concerts were canceled and music companies pledged to stop selling his CDs. So even after public apologies were issued by all involved, the he said, he said continued, and Sarah Maguchi's remaining concerts were canceled and music companies pledged to stop slanging his CDs. Damn.

• 53:44Speaker 03

You kinda got to at that point, I mean.

• 53:46Laci Mosley?

I mean, okay, so the music's stolen. Is it still slapped?

• 53:50Speaker 03

Right, like, just take the, switch the names.

• 53:52Laci Mosley?

Yeah. I feel like that's just a credit issue. We just switched the names, we switched to where the check goes.

• 53:57Speaker 03

  Right.

• 53:58Laci Mosley?

  And then that's it.

• 53:59Speaker 03

  I mean, I guess it's tainted now.

• 54:00Laci Mosley?

  Is it though?

• 54:01Speaker 03

It's the national anthem. It's gotta have a clean bill of health.

• 54:04Laci Mosley?

Does it? Cause ours definitely doesn't. Francis Scott Key was a weirdo ass racist who definitely included some slavery shit in his fucking freedom bop that we took out.

• 54:12Speaker 03

But that's why America likes it.

• 54:15Laci Mosley?

You're right. Why are they so obsessed with us? Like, you know, they got a whole national anthem for this country, and you still gotta sprinkle in some like, "And the Negroes can't be free."

• 54:24Speaker 03

  Don't let them out, please.

• 54:27Laci Mosley?

Why is that in the Song of Hope?

• 54:29Speaker 03

I, okay, cause that's their version of hope.

• 54:32Laci Mosley?

Right, they're like, "And we keep them in chains."

• 54:36Speaker 03

  Okay.

• 54:36Laci Mosley?

No, guys, literally, if you've never heard the real national anthem, Google it. See them extra lyrics that Francis put up in there.

• 54:41Speaker 03

  Read that second stanza.

• 54:42Laci Mosley?

It's ass. Okay, bro. We took it out, it's like we trying to erase everything. I'm like, you want us to not kneel for this? Play the whole bop.

• 54:50Speaker 03

Play, play it from, play it, play it backwards.

• 54:51Laci Mosley?

We don't want the radio edit.

• 54:53Speaker 03

Start from the end and go back, yeah.

• 54:54Laci Mosley?

  We want the extended version.

• 54:57Speaker 03

  We want the dirty cut.

• 54:59Laci Mosley?

Right. With all the expletives, okay? Not the radio version, okay? And then tell us that we can't kneel for it.

• 55:06Speaker 03

We want the two shortcut, okay?

• 55:08Laci Mosley?

That's my favorite word. The end word.

• 55:10Speaker 03

  Slavery.

• 55:14Laci Mosley?

But you gotta say it like short.

• 55:15Speaker 03

Labor eat. It was labor eat.

• 55:19Laci Mosley?

  Labor eat. I'm dead.

• 55:23Laci Mosley?

So, anyway. The girls are done with him. They're throwing his CDs out of there for G. They're like, bitch, get out of here. So despite his musical career being canceled almost eight years ago, Samaguchi has returned with new music.

• 55:35Speaker 03

Disney, come, what is it with these fools? It's like old girl at the grocery store just going from one person to the next.

• 55:43Laci Mosley?

But he said he wrote it himself this time.

• 55:45Speaker 03

  Who gonna believe him? Who?

• 55:48Laci Mosley?

He said, look, we got bangers, okay? And these are definitely written by me for sure and not a lie.

• 55:52Speaker 03

I don't know much about the Japanese people, but I don't take them to be fools.

• 55:55Laci Mosley?

No, they're not fucking with this nigga no more. They already threw out his CDs. But let's see, uh, let's hear a little snippet of what he said is definitely music that he wrote.

• 56:03Speaker 03

  A hundred percent.

• 56:04Laci Mosley?

  A hundred percent, yeah.

• 56:06Speaker 03

This is like a particular type of...

• 56:07Laci Mosley?

  Yeah, it's a style.

• 56:10Speaker 03

  Oh, shit.

• 56:13Speaker 03

  Oh, this shit getting lit.

• 56:14Laci Mosley?

Yeah, it's getting a little, wait a minute. Ah, okay, turn it off. We don't need Samaguchi.

• 56:19Speaker 03

You know what? I believe him now. I know he did this.

• 56:23Speaker 03

  It's so good.

• 56:24Laci Mosley?

  He definitely wrote this.

• 56:25Speaker 03

He one thousand percent wrote this.

• 56:27Laci Mosley?

Yo, he lucky put his foot in there. It turned up. See, maybe we should have waited for the beat to drop in Resident Evil.

• 56:31Speaker 03

Yeah, we like to apologize as well to the Resident Evil community in addition to.

• 56:36Laci Mosley?

Right, we should have got past the fart sounds, because then the beat was gonna drop like that, like, hop.

• 56:40Speaker 03

  Yeah, shit got lit.

• 56:42Laci Mosley?

It did, it got really lit, okay? I can see that, I can see that like in a movie.

• 56:46Speaker 03

Oh my god, it was really good.

• 56:47Laci Mosley?

  An epic fight scene.

• 56:49Speaker 03

I just wonder if he's gonna be like, I wrote it under a new name Sakahashi.

• 56:56Laci Mosley?

Bro, is this still Takashi? Takashi, show yourself. Don't let him do you like this. You don't have to be pushing no more lockers. You grown now.

• 57:05Laci Mosley?

So guys, that brings us to the saddest part of the show, the end where I have to let for somebody to go. But this is a special Scammer of the Week that's a bit longer than our normal ones. So we have a, we have a little tea here.

• 57:16Speaker 03

  Hmm.

• 57:17Laci Mosley?

So for Scammer of the Week, we're talking about the Donda Academy.

• 57:23Speaker 03

  Dun dun dun.

• 57:26Laci Mosley?

If you don't know what the Donda, Donda Academy is, let me put some respect on her name because I mean, she made him.

• 57:34Speaker 03

I know, I was gonna say, what happened in that house, girl?

• 57:37Laci Mosley?

She was better, he was better when she was alive.

• 57:39Speaker 03

I'm tired of that freaking excuse.

• 57:41Laci Mosley?

I'm not saying it's because she died, I'm just saying maybe somebody was around being like, hey, stop. And he could, he actually listened.

• 57:47Speaker 03

  Yeah.

• 57:48Laci Mosley?

Because it feels like now when people are like, hey Kanye, please, no, like, please stop.

• 57:52Speaker 03

  He's like, go harder.

• 57:53Laci Mosley?

  He's like, do more.

• 57:55Speaker 03

Go ham. I'm glad, I'm glad I invented that word.

• 57:58Laci Mosley?

Imagine making an antisemitic threat against Jewish people, saying that you're gonna go DEFCON three on them and then going to bed. He didn't even go to sleep.

• 58:09Speaker 03

And like woke up like, oh my God, my notifications are blowing, uh, what the fuuuck?

• 58:14Laci Mosley?

He was like, time to do it now. He was on his set a reminder.

• 58:18Speaker 03

Saying DEFCON three was so wild. I mean, it's just like, what?

• 58:22Laci Mosley?

I think it's because he didn't know if which one is worse, five, one, he doesn't know the scale.

• 58:28Speaker 03

I mean, it's just such, such a choice of words.

• 58:30Laci Mosley?

It is, and then to go to bed on that, I just feel like that's not the good night tweet, that's not the good night text.

• 58:35Speaker 03

  Oh, boy.

• 58:37Laci Mosley?

He's just made some insane decisions, but we all know that he is just someone who seems to not care about other people.

• 58:43Speaker 03

  Yeah.

• 58:44Laci Mosley?

  Deeply.

• 58:44Speaker 03

Yeah, he's, I don't know what his deal is, but he's disappointing me more and more as the days go on, the years go on.

• 58:51Laci Mosley?

You know what's wild is he can't disappoint me anymore.

• 58:53Speaker 03

  Hmm.

• 58:53Laci Mosley?

It's been a while since like, once he did the whole slavery is a choice thing, I, I chose to disengage. I was like, this kind folk is not my kinfolk, he does not represent me, I don't know him.

• 59:03Speaker 03

I feel like the White Lives Matter shirt is the one that got me. I was like, I, I, it's like, I had like already let go of him. And then it was like, he's back in my face again, being even more fucked up. But that White Lives Matter shirt shit pissed me off. And then the fact that he wore it to his kid's freaking soccer game as well, like, what?

• 59:19Laci Mosley?

He's a weirdo and a dummy. Like, it's weird to watch, like, these men, like, oh, just explode.

• 59:25Speaker 03

Yeah, it's so weird. Like, this, this whole, like, you know, uh, group of men, you know, I guess forty and older, thirty, late, late thirties and older, it's just like, from forty to like sixties, it's like, they're just digging their graves and digging them more.

• 59:39Laci Mosley?

And they're getting so embarrassing. Did you see the Kyrie Irving protest that they're doing down at the Brooklyn Met Stadium?

• 59:45Speaker 03

  No.

• 59:46Laci Mosley?

It's the Hebrew Israelites, and they're wearing purple and gold. Yes, and they're out there, and they're like, we are kings, we are, like, and they're like chanting.

• 59:56Speaker 03

Yeah, I mean, that's what they do.

• 59:57Laci Mosley?

  So embarrassing.

• 59:58Speaker 03

  That's what they do.

• 1:00:00Laci Mosley?

It is embarrassing. I was like, I just wanted to go out in there in New York and be like, are you not embarrassed?

• 1:00:05Speaker 03

  They're not. They love it.

• 1:00:06Laci Mosley?

You should be, though. They're embarrassing us.

• 1:00:08Speaker 03

  I mean, yeah, we know.

• 1:00:10Laci Mosley?

Uh, the embarrassment we're talking about today is kind of us. In September twenty twenty-two, he revealed that he opened a Christian private school named the Donda Academy after his late mother, Donda West. In an interview with ABC News, Yay said that he envisioned the academy to be a gospel school and hoped to give kids practical tools that they need in a world post the iPhone being created.

• 1:00:32Speaker 03

Where is this, this school? Is it in Chicago?

• 1:00:34Laci Mosley?

So, the school was opened on the site of the defunct Simi Valley Stone Ridge Preparatory School, a small property in a semi-royal part of Simi Valley, California.

• 1:00:44Speaker 03

Oh, okay. Really? I didn't realize it was a Christian school.

• 1:00:49Laci Mosley?

  Yeah.

• 1:00:50Speaker 03

And why do they look like they're in prison?

• 1:00:51Laci Mosley?

This is private school? Cause it's giving jail.

• 1:00:54Speaker 03

Cause you know, that's his uniform, the all black.

• 1:00:56Laci Mosley?

Well, yeah, I know his, like, he loves to make everybody look like they, uh, stay in home for the week.

• 1:01:04Speaker 03

  Okay.

• 1:01:04Laci Mosley?

Like they're just gonna be in sweats at their house. But like, why are they wearing these like?

• 1:01:09Speaker 03

  Prison uniforms.

• 1:01:10Laci Mosley?

Yeah, it's giving prison. Also, the black is kinda sad.

• 1:01:13Speaker 03

Yeah, and they look sad too. Is that Kanye's back or is that just another person?

• 1:01:18Laci Mosley?

I feel like his neck don't look that good.

• 1:01:20Speaker 03

Yeah, I was like, that don't look like Kanye.

• 1:01:22Laci Mosley?

That neck looks better than Kanye's neck.

• 1:01:23Speaker 03

  That hairline is fantastic.

• 1:01:24Laci Mosley?

A little too thick. And that back is looking like, like they be lifting up them weights. You can tell I lift weights.

• 1:01:31Speaker 03

So, so this is a Christian, see, I didn't know the details about Don Academy.

• 1:01:35Laci Mosley?

I don't think I'm gonna be a child. It's an adult. Okay, I just wanna make that clear. Um, this is an adult though, I was describing. Anyway, so he has a school, it's in Simi Valley, and he started it in October twenty twenty one. At the time, twenty one students were enrolled in the school year, which is not enough kids for me personally. I don't wanna go to a school with twenty one kids. Like, how boring does that get? Then I go to school in the UK, cuz he's British. Like, I love.

• 1:02:00Speaker 03

Now that his like, this album came out with him and the other messy hoe.

• 1:02:03Laci Mosley?

  Such a messy hoe.

• 1:02:04Speaker 03

Every time it comes on, I'm driving, I'm like, are we ever gonna talk about the fact that we just stopped talking about that this fucking guy is British?

• 1:02:11Laci Mosley?

Yeah, do some, uh, man, yes, show us your passport.

• 1:02:14Speaker 03

Uh, yeah, that's what I wanna see. I wanna see the stamp and I wanna see your green card.

• 1:02:18Laci Mosley?

  Right.

• 1:02:19Speaker 03

  Uh, okay?

• 1:02:20Laci Mosley?

  We're Twenty One Savage truthers.

• 1:02:23Speaker 03

  Okay?

• 1:02:24Laci Mosley?

So, Twenty One student is too small for me. I'm like, everybody knows your name, what is this, Cheers? Like, I need a big school.

• 1:02:30Speaker 03

  Right.

• 1:02:30Laci Mosley?

So, in order to register their children, parents were told that they had to sign an NDA, which is a non-disclosure agreement, which is why perhaps News of the Academy has been limited. So, the interesting thing is, is even if you sign an NDA, our lawyer told me the best way, they don't count. And that the best thing you can do, when you don't want your information put out there, is not tell nobody your fucking information.

• 1:02:51Speaker 03

Period. That's, that liberated me. Our lawyer, shout out to our lawyer, we love her.

• 1:02:55Laci Mosley?

  Yes, guys.

• 1:02:55Speaker 03

Uh, did she ever hear us talking, singing her praises? Okay, so she knows we're obsessed with her. Okay, fantastic. So, yeah, learning that has liberated me because now I sign every NDA. I'll be like, okay, okay.

• 1:03:07Laci Mosley?

I'm like, for sure, y'all ain't gonna say shit. I don't have no photos. Let me put my phone in the pouch. I'll be breaking that hoe out of that little pouch so quick. And I'm not even taking photos, like, I'm not caught chasing. I'm just like, I want my phone. Like, I'm sorry. I, I'm not gonna be a weirdo and take a picture, but if I wanna send a text, bitch, so sorry, I'm not gonna text about your Disney movie.

• 1:03:23Speaker 03

  Right, like, ah, please.

• 1:03:24Laci Mosley?

Not putting your Disney movie on Twitter, I don't care that much.

• 1:03:26Speaker 03

So just FYI, sign all the NDAs and tell everything.

• 1:03:32Speaker 03

  Spill it.

• 1:03:32Laci Mosley?

Probably just don't do it publicly. But so the principal and executive director for the 2022 2023 school year is Brienne Campbell, a master's student at Pepperdine University who had previously worked as an actress and choir director. So, you know, natural step, principal. Oh, and Brienne is a, a, a host woman.

• 1:03:52Speaker 03

  That was unexpected.

• 1:03:53Laci Mosley?

I mean, is it? It's Kanye.

• 1:03:56Speaker 03

Well, I just thought. I thought.

• 1:03:57Laci Mosley?

Donda Academy, black and brown children.

• 1:03:59Speaker 03

  Yeah.

• 1:04:00Laci Mosley?

Don't put a white person in charge of them.

• 1:04:03Speaker 03

Even more. He's losing me. Why?

• 1:04:05Laci Mosley?

It's not to say that this white woman can't be good at her job. I'm not saying that. I'm just saying as far as like education goes, it's already very carceral for black and brown children, especially where you live.

• 1:04:13Speaker 03

You got them in these, these jumpsuits.

• 1:04:15Laci Mosley?

All their superiors and usually all of their teachers are Caucasian. So you would think at a school that's targeting black and brown children that they would have black and brown leaders for once.

• 1:04:25Speaker 03

  Oh, Yeezy.

• 1:04:26Laci Mosley?

Like, what is this? Sorry, sorry to that lady. I'm sure she's lovely, maybe.

• 1:04:30Speaker 03

  Sorry to her.

• 1:04:31Laci Mosley?

She's a singer and an actress and also a master student, not graduate, student.

• 1:04:38Speaker 03

  It said student?

• 1:04:39Laci Mosley?

Yeah, did you miss a stu- yeah, student.

• 1:04:41Speaker 03

I thought it said she graduated.

• 1:04:43Laci Mosley?

  No, she's studying.

• 1:04:44Speaker 03

  He is. That's the principal?

• 1:04:45Laci Mosley?

  Yeah, that's the principal.

• 1:04:46Speaker 03

I'm glad they shut this damn school down. I could have been the principal in that case.

• 1:04:50Laci Mosley?

I could have been the principal too. We would have been better principals.

• 1:04:53Speaker 03

I would have done principaling by Zoom because I'm not going to seminary.

• 1:04:56Laci Mosley?

  Hell, no.

• 1:04:57Speaker 03

  But.

• 1:04:58Laci Mosley?

But I'd be like, and they, during, you know, parts of the pandemic, there were principaling by Zoom. We had a principal who was principal in by Zoom and he was principaling at two different schools and then got in trouble.

• 1:05:09Speaker 03

He was double timing the district?

• 1:05:11Laci Mosley?

Yes. He was getting his lick and I was not mad at it.

• 1:05:14Speaker 03

He made three million dollars a year.

• 1:05:18Speaker 03

  As a school principal.

• 1:05:19Laci Mosley?

  School principals at every school.

• 1:05:20Speaker 03

  As a schools principals.

• 1:05:23Laci Mosley?

He was principal in everybody's school. That's crazy. Our school, our principal also named Mr. Marcus.

• 1:05:28Speaker 03

Oh wow, that's, that's so crazy.

• 1:05:31Laci Mosley?

We've never seen him in the same room.

• 1:05:33Speaker 03

Yeah, he don't come here either. That's so weird. We never seen him here either.

• 1:05:36Laci Mosley?

So, the school has currently enrolled about a hundred students and employs sixteen teachers with a number of celebrities' children in attendance. So he got some celebrity children to pull up to the school. Notably, Mr. West's children do not attend the school.

• 1:05:50Speaker 03

Okay, okay. That's the first sign.

• 1:05:53Laci Mosley?

Kim was like, are you kidding me? Absolutely not.

• 1:05:55Speaker 03

  That's the first red flag.

• 1:05:56Laci Mosley?

Yes, when your kids don't go to your own school.

• 1:05:58Speaker 03

  That you created?

• 1:05:58Laci Mosley?

  That you made.

• 1:05:59Speaker 03

  Okay, yeah, let's, I'm a little worried.

• 1:06:01Laci Mosley?

Like, your school ain't good enough for your kids?

• 1:06:03Speaker 03

But it's good enough for these kids. Them kids.

• 1:06:05Laci Mosley?

For them kids. So, the school offers a curriculum including language arts, math, science, Christianity, film, choir, and parkour.

• 1:06:19Laci Mosley?

Now, I got these people's babies jumping off buildings and shit. So, do your baby wanna be Tony Hawk?

• 1:06:25Speaker 03

Imagine you send your kid to school and that fool come back with a broken collarbone talking about some parkour.

• 1:06:32Laci Mosley?

I thought it was reading, writing, and arithmetic.

• 1:06:34Speaker 03

You're not reading, writing, arithmetic, and park.

• 1:06:37Laci Mosley?

  And parkour.

• 1:06:37Speaker 03

  Parkour. Risma parkour.

• 1:06:40Laci Mosley?

Risma parkour, bitch, what? Excuse me? Oh wait, we have a video of the choir, and I think that's just them singing and probably being adorable children.

• 1:06:50Speaker 03

  In their prison outfits.

• 1:06:52Laci Mosley?

Okay, stop this. Please stop this. Oh my goodness. This looks like they are, he's starting a cult.

• 1:06:57Speaker 03

Yeah, this is a child cult, and I'm not okay, I'm okay with adult cults, but not child cults.

• 1:07:01Laci Mosley?

You know what I'm noticing too here is maybe this school wasn't targeted at black and brown children, because I'm seeing actually a lot of non-black people in this video.

• 1:07:09Speaker 03

It's not a lot, but. Only, only a few white kids. Only, only a few, but most of them are black and.

• 1:07:14Laci Mosley?

When the camera panned over, I saw.

• 1:07:16Speaker 03

  That little boy, that little.

• 1:07:17Laci Mosley?

Also, I love the, uh, little black boy in the gray sweatshirt in the front here. Because he is not here for this shit. This woman is like, everyone say, good morning, Donda, good morning, Donda, good morning. Some people are doing it, he's just staring like, I'm just here so I don't get fired. Like, I'm just here so I don't get truce.

• 1:07:35Speaker 03

I just wonder, you know, what kind, you know, and we know the answer, like, not everybody who has a child should be a parent.

• 1:07:42Laci Mosley?

  Yeah, yeah, for sure.

• 1:07:43Speaker 03

But I just wonder, like, what kind of parent would have, like, really sincerely put their child in the school for real, for real?

• 1:07:49Laci Mosley?

Exact, like, clout chasing, it's, it's.

• 1:07:52Speaker 03

It's, it's borderline abusive. I'm not gonna, I don't wanna be that person, but it's like, because it's like, it is a weird clout. Like, even this, this, this video, good morning, Donda, like, that is really weird with him, like, videoing it and, like, it's super weird. It's like, it's like, he has this, like.

• 1:08:07Laci Mosley?

Megalomaniac situation where he wants to be in control of other people. It's not just about making money. He needs to feel like he can make people do what he wants them to do. And now he's gotten at least twenty-one idiot-ass parents to give their children to him to mold their minds.

• 1:08:22Speaker 03

  Isn't it a hundred now?

• 1:08:23Laci Mosley?

Well, yeah, so it went, yeah, it went up from twenty-one to a hundred. So that's a hundred fucking people who are dumb enough. Like, honestly, somebody should be over at y'all, all y'all's houses doing an evaluation.

• 1:08:33Speaker 03

I mean, that ass, that ass, because something's, like, you're the same people who, like, let their kids sleep in beds with celebrities. You know what I mean? The same people will be letting their kids go in hotel rooms with, you know, famous directors and shit like that.

• 1:08:46Laci Mosley?

Cause y'all clout chasing with your kids. And I know parents like that. And there's nothing more upsetting to me than seeing parents clout chase with their fucking children.

• 1:08:53Speaker 03

It's dangerous and it's really, and I, I feel for those kids, cause they're just, you know, they're, they're palms in a, in a fucked up game.

• 1:09:00Laci Mosley?

And what are you gonna do legally? They own them. Like, where you can't, you can't really intervene.

• 1:09:03Speaker 03

I don't think you own children, but.

• 1:09:05Laci Mosley?

I'm just saying, their parents, like, legally, you know.

• 1:09:08Speaker 03

That's just what black parents say. Only black parents own their children.

• 1:09:12Laci Mosley?

  Okay, is it just us?

• 1:09:13Speaker 03

  It's just us.

• 1:09:14Laci Mosley?

Okay, I thought everybody felt like that.

• 1:09:17Speaker 03

  No.

• 1:09:18Laci Mosley?

Okay, cool, cool. I ain't know that. I know that.

• 1:09:20Speaker 03

I brought you in this world.

• 1:09:21Laci Mosley?

  And I, take you out.

• 1:09:22Speaker 03

So I can take you out.

• 1:09:25Laci Mosley?

And they, and they love that phrase. And they all use it. Like, guys, it's toxic. You're, you're telling me you're gonna murder me.

• 1:09:31Speaker 03

Also, please take me out. I hate it here.

• 1:09:33Laci Mosley?

I never asked to be born. Kill me.

• 1:09:39Laci Mosley?

So this is just wild. These are irresponsible parents. So the school has not sought accreditation by the Western Association of Schools and Colleges.

• 1:09:46Speaker 03

It's not accredited? I'm done here. Turn this shit off.

• 1:09:50Laci Mosley?

They not even, they not even looking for accreditation.

• 1:09:54Speaker 03

How you gonna send your, so that's.

• 1:09:56Laci Mosley?

Who is that? We don't know her. It's trying to enroll.

• 1:09:59Speaker 03

  Miss Accreditation. Never met her.

• 1:10:01Laci Mosley?

Accreditation West? Yeah, no, bring her on in.

• 1:10:05Speaker 03

So this is definitely against the law, right? Because children are supposed to go to accredited schools and they're supposed to go to schools also. Yeah, so this doesn't count.

• 1:10:15Laci Mosley?

Law doesn't account for like accreditation?

• 1:10:18Speaker 03

I get it. There, this is a truancy school. That's why they're dressed like that. It's just like a double, it, we're just two words and one stone.

• 1:10:25Laci Mosley?

No. So, um, one of the, the foremost accreditation organizations for California and Hawaii is the Western Association of Schools and Colleges. They haven't gotten no accreditation. Tuition is approximately fifteen thousand dollars a year. Student and, and.

• 1:10:42Speaker 03

  That's not so bad.

• 1:10:43Laci Mosley?

That's not so bad for a private school, but also like for what those uniforms were giving.

• 1:10:48Speaker 03

Okay. Cause it looks like you got them in the ba- bottom of like the gym locker room.

• 1:10:54Laci Mosley?

It was giving bread and water. It was giving we're in prison. Like even the facilities themselves didn't look like what I would imagine a private school that you're paying for looks like.

• 1:11:03Speaker 03

  Yeah.

• 1:11:04Laci Mosley?

It's supposed to look like, almost like a college. Like, and they look like they're in a compound in the woods.

• 1:11:08Speaker 03

  Right, yeah.

• 1:11:10Laci Mosley?

A mess. So students are also required to wear uniforms made by Balenciaga and the rapper's brand Yeezy. So that's what we were talking about with their little prison uniforms that they're wearing. They're wearing all black and it definitely looks like he knew it was.

• 1:11:22Speaker 03

But it's just so, it's just so his style of being like, isn't it ironic? They look like they're like dirty and dingy kids, but it's Balenciaga. You know what I mean? And it's Yeezy. He always tries to be so, you know, contri- contrarian. You know what I mean? Like, dog.

• 1:11:38Laci Mosley?

Well, he's talked about how like, he doesn't wear jewelry because billionaires don't wear jewelry. Like, they don't have their wealth on their body. And it's like, bitch, we're all gonna fucking die. Stop being a weirdo. And half the time you see any of those rich ass tech dudes, they're wearing expensive as fuck clothes. You just don't know the label because it's not on the outside.

• 1:11:54Speaker 03

  Okay.

• 1:11:55Laci Mosley?

They're wearing fucking twenty-five hundred dollar white t-shirts, bro. People like what they like, and even if you're not into clothes, being into clothes doesn't make you stupid and and not as smart as someone else who's into boats. Like, no one needs a boat, for real, for real, either, you know?

• 1:12:09Speaker 03

  I mean, I could.

• 1:12:10Laci Mosley?

I want one and I'm gonna have it.

• 1:12:12Speaker 03

  I need one.

• 1:12:12Laci Mosley?

  But.

• 1:12:13Speaker 03

I need to be on the water.

• 1:12:15Laci Mosley?

But like, everything that we do is a dalliance, because at the end of the day, if it's not like eating and and breathing air, like, why do we do anything?

• 1:12:22Speaker 03

We're here to have fun. That's really what the hell we're here to have, and and these white men convince us otherwise.

• 1:12:28Laci Mosley?

They said, they told us we wasn't, they said we supposed to be here for work.

• 1:12:32Speaker 03

  We used his to work.

• 1:12:34Laci Mosley?

They said we not here for no fun. Its website is brief and features only two of its apparently numerous rules. Don't rule fifty eight, which is, writing should be regarded as an activity that necessitates critical thinking, an aspect that is fundamental to all good writing. And Don't Rule Fifty One, students must be confident in forming ideas. If not, their writing will suffer. What? These are the most vague ass rules. Are you Uncle Clifford, Kanye? How many rule fifty one and fifty eight? What's number one?

• 1:13:06Speaker 03

  Well, let's start with one.

• 1:13:08Laci Mosley?

Two, three? Like, I feel like we should have just started like a little bit earlier.

• 1:13:12Speaker 03

Also, those kids look like his children.

• 1:13:14Laci Mosley?

Those do look like his children, which we were told don't go there, so why he got North in the photo?

• 1:13:18Speaker 03

It looked like North, but that's just her cousin.

• 1:13:20Laci Mosley?

  Maybe it's just her cousin.

• 1:13:21Speaker 03

  That's not her, though.

• 1:13:22Laci Mosley?

Probably a lot of light-skinned children there who are mixed race.

• 1:13:24Speaker 03

  Yeah.

• 1:13:25Laci Mosley?

  So, yeah, they don't, they're those aren't.

• 1:13:26Speaker 03

That look like Dream Kardashian, too.

• 1:13:28Laci Mosley?

  It do, but it's not.

• 1:13:29Speaker 03

  Yeah.

• 1:13:29Laci Mosley?

But, but, you know, there there's so many of those, uh, kinds of looking children there, so it could be anyone. But also, this is interesting to me because Kanye has openly said he does not read. So I'm like, bro, how you gonna even have a school when you tell people you don't read, bro? That's like the, that's like the thing that you do in school.

• 1:13:45Speaker 03

I feel like he's just trying to see what he can, what we're gonna let him get away with.

• 1:13:48Laci Mosley?

  Get away with.

• 1:13:49Speaker 03

  And clearly, it's a lot.

• 1:13:50Laci Mosley?

So they move locations. So when the school initially registered with the Department of Education, it listed as the Simi Valley address. However, it appears that when the school refiled this year that it was moved to a location in the Los Angeles suburbs. They had moved a school. Imagine your school goes from as far as fuck Simi Valley to like the LA suburbs. Also, school's not really supposed to be moving like. That that happened to me. I did. I had to go to school in a middle school, even though I was in high school for one year because they were building our high school. So like, I guess schools move sometimes, but.

• 1:14:18Speaker 03

You know, actually, I taught in a school in Maplewood for the East Orange School District. Because they had to, they were renovating, so.

• 1:14:27Laci Mosley?

  So it happens.

• 1:14:27Speaker 03

  It happens.

• 1:14:28Laci Mosley?

So a teacher who resigned after Kanye's anti-Semitic rant has positioned to the Department of Education to remove the new address from the public directory due to the increase in public attention. Yeah, because people are gonna try to pull up there and then like see what they got them kids doing. And we don't want to endanger the children. It's not their fault. So in late October.

• 1:14:46Speaker 03

  That their parents are dumb.

• 1:14:47Laci Mosley?

That their parents are dumb. And they're about that they were born two idiots.

• 1:14:50Speaker 03

  To fools.

• 1:14:51Laci Mosley?

You know, so in late October, a source familiar with the school told Insider that the Simi Valley location was abandoned after just four months around Thanksgiving. Well, it looked like a commune, so I'm glad. It looked like very sad. Since the move, people on the internet have expressed concern about the new location after photos were released of students sitting on folding chairs in a warehouse during the school day.

• 1:15:12Laci Mosley?

Okay, so these are the chairs that you get at like a wedding that's like at like a Marriott. And you know, they're trying to give the girls like a good little ballroom moment, but it's still a fold-out chair. That's what they have these babies sitting in.

• 1:15:25Speaker 03

Yeah, it's pretty depressing. I mean.

• 1:15:27Laci Mosley?

In a garage, and it looks like they're eating, and it does look like they're in prison.

• 1:15:33Speaker 03

  But they were in Balenciaga.

• 1:15:34Laci Mosley?

They were in Balenciaga though, okay, but he's gonna step on my Balenci.

• 1:15:38Speaker 03

Oh, I see they have the the.

• 1:15:40Laci Mosley?

  Cell Block D.

• 1:15:40Speaker 03

The thing on the dove on the back.

• 1:15:43Laci Mosley?

Okay, I mean. Cell Block E. Cell Block Education. That's what it's giving. So, the next Bishop's Sycamore. Though Kanye has said that he opened Donda with aspirations to create a private Christian school that develops critical thinking, writing skills. Donda Academy has also been known for its basketball team. Before the school even opened, Kanye recruited two and four five-star athletes to be on the Donda Doves backed by Adidas. A teenager and student Chuck Bailey III is one of the most sought-after high school basketball players in the nation. The team was also featured on the cover of Slam Magazine, wearing the highly anticipated Yeezy basketball shoes. And this is a picture of them.

• 1:16:24Speaker 03

  That's the team?

• 1:16:25Laci Mosley?

  Yes.

• 1:16:26Speaker 03

  Those are adults.

• 1:16:27Laci Mosley?

  How you got?

• 1:16:28Speaker 03

  How you got college freshman?

• 1:16:32Laci Mosley?

I definitely saw a baby who looked like five or six. And then we have grown ass.

• 1:16:36Speaker 03

Grown men at your school. These are adults.

• 1:16:40Laci Mosley?

  Divided.

• 1:16:41Speaker 03

That dude has a full beard and a full mustache.

• 1:16:44Laci Mosley?

  Yeah, I know.

• 1:16:45Speaker 03

  On the bottom right.

• 1:16:46Laci Mosley?

  Too, and it connects.

• 1:16:48Speaker 03

Oh, my God. I feel like we're gonna find out that these are literally adults that he recruited to pretend to be children.

• 1:16:54Laci Mosley?

Plot, they're literally, it's like, it's like when Adam Sandler went back to third grade. Like, that's literally what they're doing to us right now. We know, Happy Gilmore. We know what's happening. So with corporate backing and recruiting some of the most sought after teenage basketball players in the country, the school has appeared to shift its focus from offering a private Christian education to basketball. So now he's just doing, he being LeVar Ball. I don't know, he was just like, I don't know. We also do basketball fixing. So unfortunately, Scholastic Play-by-Play Classics, a major tournament, has recently announced that they have removed the Donda Academy from the tournament due directly to Kanye's comments and behavior. Now, I don't think that's fair to the kids.

• 1:17:31Speaker 03

  I don't either.

• 1:17:32Laci Mosley?

Cause the kids ain't saying nothing.

• 1:17:35Speaker 03

  They, they have not.

• 1:17:36Laci Mosley?

The superintendent of my high school said some fuck shit and it was like, oh, none of y'all can go to the, to the dance.

• 1:17:41Speaker 03

Yeah, just get rid of the superintendent.

• 1:17:42Laci Mosley?

Yeah, it's like, well, what did we do?

• 1:17:44Speaker 03

  Yeah.

• 1:17:44Laci Mosley?

  Why are we being punished?

• 1:17:46Speaker 03

  That's, yeah, that's bullshit.

• 1:17:47Laci Mosley?

The most talented adults in the country.

• 1:17:50Speaker 03

He got D1 basketball players at his elementary school.

• 1:17:54Laci Mosley?

Okay. How you gonna rob them of that opportunity?

• 1:17:57Speaker 03

  For fourth graders.

• 1:17:59Speaker 03

  With mad skills.

• 1:18:00Laci Mosley?

Right, with all the skills. This man are like, they look like the niggas in Space Jam.

• 1:18:05Speaker 03

  Grown.

• 1:18:06Laci Mosley?

Grown as hell. So I feel bad for them, cause it's not their grown ass fault that Kanye said that shit. So the shutdown, in October 27th, 2022, following Kanye's stream of antisemitic remarks, parents received an email stating that the school would be closed for the rest of 2022's school year. So how you gonna give me an email talking about, hey, y'all, we actually gonna, uh, close on the, the school?

• 1:18:27Speaker 03

  Guess what?

• 1:18:28Laci Mosley?

We know it's not supposed to close it, cause it's summer.

• 1:18:30Speaker 03

Not gonna believe what I'm about to say.

• 1:18:33Speaker 03

  Guys, gather round.

• 1:18:37Laci Mosley?

So remember when we used to do a school here?

• 1:18:40Speaker 03

  Not no more.

• 1:18:40Laci Mosley?

We ain't doing that no more.

• 1:18:42Speaker 03

  Yeah.

• 1:18:43Laci Mosley?

  Yeah, sorry about that.

• 1:18:44Speaker 03

If you could go ahead and carry a desk on the way out.

• 1:18:47Laci Mosley?

We do have to lock up by four. They will lock us out, so y'all clean out y'all's lockers. You know they didn't even have lockers. We're like, clean out your, your Balenciaga.

• 1:18:58Speaker 03

  Tail bags.

• 1:19:02Speaker 03

We're taking them back as well.

• 1:19:04Laci Mosley?

And give us the clothes back too.

• 1:19:05Speaker 03

We gotta pay the taxes on this.

• 1:19:06Laci Mosley?

Yeah, so you're gonna have to run us those back as well. So in an email sent to parents, the school's principal wrote, "First, we would like to express our gratitude for the community of families and scholars that Donda Academy brought together. However, at the discretion of our founder, Donda Academy will close for the remainder of 2022, 2023 school year effective immediately." "Thursday, October 27th." In all caps, "There is no school tomorrow." Damn.

• 1:19:34Speaker 03

They were like, you better not show up here tomorrow.

• 1:19:35Laci Mosley?

You did this on a Thursday? Like, you couldn't even tell the girls, say they got the weekend to plan to get into new school? Like, this is the middle of the school year and now all of these kids need to re-enroll into actual schools.

• 1:19:46Speaker 03

I mean, they really weren't enrolled in a school to begin with.

• 1:19:49Laci Mosley?

Okay, well, yeah, it's not accredited.

• 1:19:50Speaker 03

  I mean.

• 1:19:51Laci Mosley?

But they signed up with their name.

• 1:19:53Speaker 03

I mean, these are just feral children, just running amok.

• 1:19:57Laci Mosley?

Okay, well, they put their name on a little paper or whatever, and they got a uniform, so they had to get somebody their shirt size in their pants.

• 1:20:04Laci Mosley?

It was official enough for that.

• 1:20:05Speaker 03

  That's true.

• 1:20:06Laci Mosley?

But no, yes, now they have to roll in different schools. So in the email, no alternatives or refunds were offered.

• 1:20:13Speaker 03

  Wow.

• 1:20:14Laci Mosley?

So you're getting your coins back. How you gonna give me half a year of education and just say, all right, bye?

• 1:20:19Speaker 03

Also, how are you gonna be an ex-billionaire and do that to me?

• 1:20:22Laci Mosley?

Well, he's an ex-billionaire now, so.

• 1:20:24Speaker 03

  But he's still a millionaire.

• 1:20:25Laci Mosley?

But he still need to get money.

• 1:20:27Speaker 03

  I get it. I know. I'm a billionaire too, I get it.

• 1:20:32Laci Mosley?

If I ever became an evil nasty billionaire who obviously did murders to get there, um, I wouldn't tell anybody.

• 1:20:38Speaker 03

  Right.

• 1:20:38Laci Mosley?

But it's not a goal. It's not a goal at all. It feels like a terrible choice in life. So according to some reports, parents received another email just hours later saying the school would reopen on October twenty eighth. So they're kind of sitting there like, hey, hold on, hold on, hold on, no, no, we actually go reopen on October twenty eighth. Uh, so y'all, y'all just stay tuned.

• 1:20:56Speaker 03

  Right.

• 1:20:57Laci Mosley?

To see if y'all gonna have school. Like he acting like they getting shut down for inclement weather.

• 1:21:01Speaker 03

  Okay.

• 1:21:02Laci Mosley?

Like y'all just watch the news.

• 1:21:03Speaker 03

  Okay.

• 1:21:04Laci Mosley?

And we'll tell you if you have to get an education.

• 1:21:06Speaker 03

  We're gonna blow the horn.

• 1:21:08Laci Mosley?

And you'll know. So it's unclear where the cu- the school currently stands. And that brings us to the end of a fantastic episode. Kanye, you know what you did. But I'm glad that at least you're not messing with the minds of poor innocent children who have stupid parents or adults who were playing on your basketball team.

• 1:21:26Speaker 03

  Anymore.

• 1:21:27Laci Mosley?

  Yeah.

• 1:21:27Speaker 03

Yeah, yeah. Shout out to the adults playing sixth graders.

• 1:21:33Speaker 03
