• 3:20Speaker 05

  Hey.

• 3:21Laci Mosley?

  Yes.

• 3:22Speaker 05

You catching me right before I go back.

• 3:23Laci Mosley?

Literally, she has a suitcase in the studio, guys. This is the most Hollywood experience.

• 3:28Speaker 05

  On the run.

• 3:29Laci Mosley?

Love it. Wait, so I said, like, what's your relationship with scams? We kind of just talked about, like, a light scam that someone did on you.

• 3:35Speaker 05

Okay, so we're just gonna get right into it real quick.

• 3:37Laci Mosley?

  Right, deep dive, real hot.

• 3:39Speaker 05

You know, I'm in LA with shooting a short film. Hello, booked, busy, broke.

• 3:44Laci Mosley?

  Yes, coins.

• 3:45Speaker 05

No, booked, busy, broke. Anyway, this is a short film doing pro bono work. Anyway, I have a role where I have a girlfriend, and in real life, I have a girlfriend. So boom, like, this is nothing. This is my day-to-day.

• 4:01Laci Mosley?

  So you was going method?

• 4:02Speaker 05

  Oh, all day.

• 4:04Laci Mosley?

Okay, great. Also, getting paid in exposure is LA's biggest scam.

• 4:08Speaker 05

See, there you go, breaking it down one more time.

• 4:11Laci Mosley?

We're not gonna give you money, but we gonna give you exposure.

• 4:13Speaker 05

Oh, my God, it's gonna be broken down to the most broken-down, broken-down-est. So the person that is my girlfriend on the short film is gorgeous, stunning, like, not my type, but just, like, butch and hot and just... I was blown away, and I was not ready.

• 4:31Laci Mosley?

  Yes.

• 4:32Speaker 05

I was not ready. I saw a photo, and I was like, okay. But then, in real life, I was like, oh, it's gonna be a problem.

• 4:38Laci Mosley?

But then, your body was ready. Your body was like, we're ready.

• 4:41Speaker 05

I just want everybody to know, the listeners to know that I'm in a whole relationship that's also very open. So this is not my style. Like, I don't just give out emotions. I don't feel feelings for people. I'm not. The physicality is not there usually.

• 4:55Laci Mosley?

Yeah, but I thought like in an open relationship, it's like you fucking other people. It's like Will and Jada. Like, you fucking other people up, but then you give all the emotions to the person you're in the relationship with.

• 5:03Speaker 05

Will and Jada are rich. I'm so tired of like broke people talking about open. You cannot be open relationship. If your thread count is like 500. It don't make no sense.

• 5:13Laci Mosley?

You can only be open on the Gypsy Gotten?

• 5:15Speaker 05

  Yeah.

• 5:16Laci Mosley?

That makes sense though, because I said like, I'm not doing no threesomes unless you rich. Like, because I would be fucking, I'd be like, oh my god, is this polyester? Am I fucking on Rayon right now with this couple? No.

• 5:25Speaker 05

  Paper mache, honey.

• 5:26Laci Mosley?

You need to be so rich.

• 5:27Speaker 05

Yeah, so I don't, I, I say, when I say open, I, I say, I know that I'm lacking in certain things, so I need to let her have a hot girl summer and do what she does and, and be an adult about it. Back to the short film. So, we're supposed to be kissing.

• 5:43Laci Mosley?

  Okay.

• 5:43Speaker 05

No tongue or anything, but we're obviously-

• 5:45Laci Mosley?

Did y'all talk about the kiss before?

• 5:46Speaker 05

Yeah, yeah. She said, I don't want it to be weird or whatever. I was like, no, no, it's like a kiss. We, we had chemistry as soon as we saw each other. It was like, oh, this is gonna be a piece of cake. Seven hours later, I'm in the back of my head like, oh, we're gonna have an affair. That's what's happening. Because I'm just like, this is not just-

• 6:05Laci Mosley?

What was she doing to like, make it seem like it was like more?

• 6:10Speaker 05

She was literally acting the whole time. It's my fault. I'm stupid. I'm going into a situation where it's like, okay, we are sup- pretend. We're pretending. And I put my guard down. I was like, nobody can pretend with me. Like, look at me.

• 6:24Laci Mosley?

You was doing the Angelina, uh, Brad Pitt.

• 6:26Speaker 05

Yes, Mr. And Mrs. Smith. I was like, there's no way you can just not be attracted to me.

• 6:32Laci Mosley?

  That's how I feel.

• 6:33Speaker 05

But she's sag and whatnot, so she's probably just like, bitch, what? I do this in my sleep.

• 6:39Laci Mosley?

Yeah, but like, that's, I, I've been on sets with people that I've had to kiss, and I wasn't like flirting with them extra hard in between takes. Yo, I was on a, I was on a set with this guy, and he had a big fucking ego. We didn't talk about the kiss beforehand, which you're always supposed to do. And he kissed me, he put his tongue in my mouth. I was so mad.

• 6:55Speaker 05

  That didn't happen.

• 6:56Laci Mosley?

  I wanted to fight him.

• 6:57Speaker 05

That didn't happen. And honestly, looking back at it, it's like, I was the unprofessional one. This she, it was clear up top, I am acting. But also, I'm, I'm hot, so it's not like she's not gonna have a hard time pretending to be attracted to me. But when it was over, it was over and.

• 7:20Laci Mosley?

When was that happen? When did that happen?

• 7:21Speaker 05

Literally when it was like, that's a rap. It's a rap, like.

• 7:26Laci Mosley?

So as soon as they said, "God",

• 7:28Speaker 05

  Yeah.

• 7:28Laci Mosley?

  She, she stopped being nice?

• 7:30Speaker 05

Still, all of the, you know, when you see a battery full and then it's all the way drained? It was, there was nothing.

• 7:37Laci Mosley?

Ah, that's, that's, I mean, I get that. That's like kind of a Hollywood thing of like, you wanna be nice to people.

• 7:42Speaker 05

  I fucking hate LA.

• 7:43Laci Mosley?

But I don't flirt though. I'm nice to people, but I'm not like making them think that like I like them.

• 7:48Speaker 05

I mean, it could just be, it, I'm thinking in the back of my head, like, maybe it's just me. Like, I'm, I got open and I took it to that next level. But that's why I am never breaking up with my girlfriend. We're getting married because I never wanna feel this feeling of rejection. Just being out in this hot girl summer bullshit. Fuck you. I wanna be, um, what do you call it? I, I, I want consistent girl summer. That's what I want.

• 8:16Laci Mosley?

  Consistent girl summer?

• 8:17Speaker 05

Yeah, I want, I want, oh, I know you gonna be there, girl summer.

• 8:21Laci Mosley?

Oh, bruh, no, I'm into hot girl summer.

• 8:22Speaker 05

Literally, I got scammed by being on set with niggas who working and I'm thinking, oh, this is for play.

• 8:31Laci Mosley?

No, she was working it a little bit. I don't think that that's all on you, cuz that's extra. She was doing a lot. That's Hollywood, though.

• 8:38Speaker 05

Why, though? Why, why do they do that?

• 8:40Laci Mosley?

Because in Hollywood, it's like, you wanna be liked by everybody because you don't want somebody retaliate against you or you don't wanna miss work.

• 8:48Speaker 05

No, this person is not like that. She's, she's very like black militant, like white people could burn in a fire type.

• 8:55Laci Mosley?

Yeah, you're black. We both black. Guys who are both black.

• 8:59Speaker 05

  But I'm, I'm more of a, oh, I do like everybody. I'm, I'm an, I'm a personable individual. I'm a people's person.

• 9:07Laci Mosley?

  Yeah.

• 9:07Speaker 05

So, but this she, I don't think she's necessarily like that. I think she be's with the people she wanna be with and that's it.

• 9:14Laci Mosley?

Ah, so you felt special cuz she was flirting with you, cuz.

• 9:17Speaker 05

I don't know. I just, I feel bad. I went to bed angry, woke up angry.

• 9:24Laci Mosley?

There's nothing like waking up angry.

• 9:25Speaker 05

I woke up furious, cuz it's just like, why did you, you're such a dumb bitch. Like, why did you think? And then I saw her girlfriend and I was like, there's no way she would.

• 9:35Laci Mosley?

Oh, she had a girl too.

• 9:37Speaker 05

Duh, that's what I said up top.

• 9:40Laci Mosley?

No, I hear you said she had a girl. Did you scream yourself awake? Sometimes I wake up like screaming.

• 9:46Speaker 05

  I was literally like.

• 9:47Laci Mosley?

You ever wake up just like, ah!

• 9:49Speaker 05

  No.

• 9:49Laci Mosley?

I be waking up like that every day.

• 9:51Speaker 05

I woke up, you know how you like push the blankets off of you? That's how I woke up. I was like, fuck this shit, this is dumb. And so now if anybody's like, do you have a, do you have problems, uh, or any issues with kissing or like sex scenes? I'm like, absolutely. I don't, I don't act that far, okay? I act to where the lines, and I draw the line and be like, oh, I have to kiss you? I don't just kiss. That's not, that's not what I do in my day to day. I heard.

• 10:20Laci Mosley?

  That's how actor work.

• 10:21Speaker 05

No, fuck acting. I'm not about this life.

• 10:23Laci Mosley?

  That's how acting's set up.

• 10:24Speaker 05

No, acting is like lines, we in the scene, anything physical like making out and you gotta touch my cat, we go together.

• 10:32Laci Mosley?

Okay, gotta touch my cat is not a part of acting. If, if anybody's ever touched your coochie on the show.

• 10:39Laci Mosley?

That was not a part of it, you got scammed. When it was like, okay, now we doing the coochie toucher scene. It's like, that's not, that ain't it.

• 10:47Speaker 05

  Are you sure?

• 10:48Laci Mosley?

I had somebody to lie to.

• 10:49Speaker 05

  Oh my god.

• 10:50Laci Mosley?

Listen, we all, it, it happens, especially in this industry. Like, we're in the weirdest industry where you can like do professional deals in a hotel room and shit. Like, what?

• 11:00Speaker 05

  Oh my god.

• 11:01Laci Mosley?

Ain't nobody else gotta deal with this. If you at Avis rent a car, you ain't doing no deals in the hotel room.

• 11:05Speaker 05

No, no way. I'm, I'm, see, I'm smarter than that. Don't think that I'm that foolish, but I genuinely was like, oh, something is definitely going down. And then we went to dinner and it was like, why did I come here?

• 11:22Laci Mosley?

I love it. I'm so sorry that this happened.

• 11:24Speaker 05

And then I paid for my dinner.

• 11:27Laci Mosley?

You paid for your dinner? Oh, that's the biggest scam of all.

• 11:30Speaker 05

  Well, no.

• 11:31Laci Mosley?

You gotta be like, I'll Venmo you, and then as soon as they run they car, then you be like, oh my god, the wifi down. The wifi down, but I'mma Venmo you. Give me your handle. Let me take a picture of it, so I got it.

• 11:41Speaker 05

You so basic, I can't. I'm not even, I can't even be affiliated with this.

• 11:46Laci Mosley?

And then you never Venmo. You don't know that girl. Y'all been on a short film. You'll never see her again.

• 11:49Speaker 05

You think I'll never see her?

• 11:50Laci Mosley?

  No, you'll never see her.

• 11:52Speaker 05

We follow each other on Instagram.

• 11:53Laci Mosley?

Uh, you ain't had to do that.

• 11:55Speaker 05

Why? I, I feel like, okay, so now you gotta see the growth. Like, now you gotta see the aftermath.

• 12:03Laci Mosley?

  Now you just being petty.

• 12:04Speaker 05

Now you gotta see the aftermath, but I'm so angry that I can't even really post any stories that's like, oh, look at me.

• 12:12Laci Mosley?

  She know you hot.

• 12:13Speaker 05

Yeah, but she's not even like that. She's very like philosophical, what's

• 12:18Laci Mosley?

You don't know this damn woman.

• 12:19Speaker 05

What's behind the skin type individual.

• 12:22Laci Mosley?

Listen, I follow all my exes on Instagram just so they follow me back, so they can see me winning. I, I had so many ex-boyfriends at my birthday party, it was crazy.

• 12:31Speaker 05

Yeah, I saw, I was like, you know everyone.

• 12:35Laci Mosley?

  Very fun.

• 12:35Speaker 05

  You're friends with everybody.

• 12:38Laci Mosley?

Gotta be. As a good scam artist, you gotta keep your relationships tight, but also far enough away that they don't know who you really are. You know what I'm saying?

• 12:45Speaker 05

Uh, I feel like I'm getting scammed right now, this damn podcast.

• 12:49Laci Mosley?

You are, but only mildly. Only mildly. We ain't even take your DNA.

• 12:53Speaker 05

  Okay.

• 12:53Laci Mosley?

  You're good.

• 12:54Speaker 05

  All right.

• 12:55Laci Mosley?

  Scams.

• 13:28Speaker 06

• 15:19Laci Mosley?

So, we're gonna hop into Historic Hoodwinks, guys. So Historic Hoodwinks is where we, I regale you, Sidney, with a historic caper, a hoodwink, from scammers that I appreciate. And we'll just talk about it.

• 15:33Speaker 05

  Okay.

• 15:33Laci Mosley?

Yeah. So, on November 10th, Twenty twelve, which twenty twelve was a big year for scams. Cause twenty twelve was when we all said the world was going in and it ain't in and then we just was like, never mind. But twenty twelve was a big year for scams and uh probably for water and then like uh go bags and shit. Cause everybody thought the world was really gonna end. So there was an explosion in a Richmond Hill subdivision in Indianapolis, Indiana, that killed two people and caused more than four million dollars of property damage. The home of Monsaret Shirley was the center of the explosion. And the explosion killed next door neighbors John Longworth and his wife Jennifer Buckston. And then also injured several other people.

• 16:15Laci Mosley?

So Shirley and her boyfriend Mark Leonard and three others were convicted and sentenced to prison, including felony murder charges because this was arson.

• 16:28Speaker 05

  Duh.

• 16:31Laci Mosley?

  I don't know. I I I I wouldn't look into a home explosion. I just like, oh damn, like, so sad.

• 16:36Speaker 05

Shit is not just blowing up, bitch. Like, who was doing that?

• 16:40Laci Mosley?

And New York should be blowing up.

• 16:41Speaker 05

Um, it depends on the building. Like, if the building is old, yes. But if it's like renovated, really nice, I always look sideways like, hmm, this might be a setup.

• 16:54Laci Mosley?

That's true. I think that so Shirley was a nurse and she owned a home at the center of the explosion. And she and her boyfriend Mark Leonard also lived at the residence. They told the authorities that they left Friday night for a weekend at Hollywood Casino in Lawrenceburg, Indiana. Hollywood Casino in Lawrenceburg, Indiana, sounds like the saddest place on the earth.

• 17:16Speaker 05

I don't even wanna talk about that. I wanna talk about Mark Leonard. He's got two names. I would I would never trust a man with two first names. It's his two first names.

• 17:27Laci Mosley?

  That's how you know he's a scammer.

• 17:29Speaker 05

  Yeah.

• 17:29Laci Mosley?

Cause his names sound made up. Mark Leonard probably ain't the name his mama gave him.

• 17:32Speaker 05

That's not his name at all.

• 17:33Laci Mosley?

  It's an invention.

• 17:34Speaker 05

  It's probably just fucking Keith.

• 17:36Laci Mosley?

Keith is the worst name. I'm so sorry. Keith is the worst name in America. Um, yeah, so Mark Leonard is probably and obviously for sure a scammer. So they arranged for Shirley's 12 year old daughter to stay with friends and they boarded their cat's snowball for the weekend. Shirley told the police that she never smelled any natural gas, but that her daughter had thought she was recent, like, her daughter basically said, mommy, it smells like gas in here. That's what she told the police. Prosecutors alleged on Friday before explosion, Mark Leonard and his brother Bob spoke with a neighbor who was a Citizen Energy employee. How convenient.

• 18:12Speaker 05

  So convenient.

• 18:13Laci Mosley?

That your neighbor worked for the energy company? And so they talked to him and they said, they asked him about the differences between propane and natural gas. Nigga, what?

• 18:26Speaker 05

They're so obvious. That's the, that's the most annoying thing.

• 18:29Laci Mosley?

  It's called Google.

• 18:30Speaker 05

Yeah, like, come on now. You could go to the library and find out this information. You don't even have to Google.

• 18:36Laci Mosley?

Yo, if you really want to commit crimes, you really should just go to the library. Cause ain't nobody gonna be able to check your search history. You can get tons of information. Books still got info in them.

• 18:44Speaker 05

It's true. And you don't have to highlight them at all. You just take a picture.

• 18:48Laci Mosley?

And then you don't got no witnesses. How you gonna ask your next door neighbor? So, hey, uh, hey, Chet. Hey, what's up? What you doing out here? Mowing the grass? Oh, it looks nice. What fertilizer are you using? Oh, it's good out here. So what's the difference between natural gas and propane? Would you know if something blew up, if it blew up from natural gas or propane?

• 19:08Speaker 05

It's so specific. That's the problem. Like, you're, propane.

• 19:12Laci Mosley?

How do you work that into a conversation?

• 19:14Speaker 05

  You don't.

• 19:14Laci Mosley?

Like, oh, your grass is so nice. Mmm, love that grass. Oh, man. Oh, do you use a lawnmower? Oh, what kind of gas is in your lawnmower? Would propane or natural gas? I'm trying to segue it in naturally. I don't, I don't know if I can.

• 19:30Speaker 05

It's fine. That's exactly how he sounded when he did it.

• 19:34Laci Mosley?

And obviously because the man remembered and narked on his ass and told the police that they had this weird ass conversation. On the day of the explosion, another neighbor saw a white van pull into the driveway of Shirley's residence between 2:00 PM and 3:00 PM.

• 19:48Speaker 05

  Dumb.

• 19:50Speaker 05

Stupid. Anytime I see a van pull up, just a van, a van is a dead giveaway.

• 19:55Laci Mosley?

A van is like a crime vehicle.

• 19:57Speaker 05

  Yeah.

• 19:58Laci Mosley?

Like, we know you doing crimes. A van and also a Prius.

• 20:01Speaker 05

  It's like TBT.

• 20:02Laci Mosley?

  Yeah. It's too much.

• 20:04Speaker 05

  Yeah.

• 20:04Laci Mosley?

We, we knew immediately. It was like crimes? Time for crime? Crime time? So, the van pulled up and the men were reportedly in the home briefly and hurriedly left. Well, okay, can I also say that Shirley really underestimated how fucking nosy her neighbors are? Cause I ain't never looked at nobody's home and would know that between any hours, a van arrived. Like, I don't pay attention to my neighbors.

• 20:32Speaker 05

  What's her neighbor's name?

• 20:33Laci Mosley?

The neighbors' names ain't in here.

• 20:35Speaker 05

Okay. Well, let's just call them Keith and Ashley. They are not fucking, so people who don't fuck stay in the window. They stay like lurking and busy and that's what gets them off. It's like if they know other people's business, then they have something to talk about in the bedroom. Besides the point that they not fucking. So I, I already knew that was happening.

• 20:57Laci Mosley?

The pillow talk is real. So they doing all this because they're not fucking. I believe that. So, yeah, so these peeping toms, these window peeping toms were dedicated, dedicated. Cause I'm like, how you got hours? How do you remember this? So, the men were reportedly in the home briefly and then hurriedly left. So they done clocked how they left the home too. Um, which sounds to me like maybe they set off some propane gas.

• 21:24Speaker 05

They did. They're very messy and obvious about it.

• 21:28Laci Mosley?

Like, I gotta pull up to the front door.

• 21:30Speaker 05

  They did a bad job.

• 21:31Laci Mosley?

This is a horrible job of a scam. I will say analyzing this scam, I don't approve of these people because they were just so fucking blatant about it.

• 21:38Speaker 05

  Yeah.

• 21:38Laci Mosley?

You gonna pull up to the front?

• 21:40Speaker 05

And where is this? In Indiana again?

• 21:42Laci Mosley?

Yeah, Indianapolis. They don't got shit to do.

• 21:44Speaker 05

They're, uh, this is making me so, and they were white?

• 21:48Laci Mosley?

  Of course they were.

• 21:48Speaker 05

Okay, I'm just, hey, you freaking never know.

• 21:51Laci Mosley?

No, you don't. You truly don't. They didn't even try to hide anything. They were so certain they were gonna get away with this.

• 21:56Speaker 05

  Mm-hmm.

• 21:57Laci Mosley?

Uh, no, no, just pull the van up front. No one's gonna question us. The house explodes. What, you know, whatever. I think they would have actually probably got away with it if two people didn't die. I think the people dying is really what threw this scam off.

• 22:09Speaker 05

But you can't have an explosion and everybody live, because then that means it definitely was a setup.

• 22:17Laci Mosley?

  I don't know.

• 22:18Speaker 05

Your people gotta die. There's gotta be some casualties that go on.

• 22:21Laci Mosley?

I feel like when people die-

• 22:22Speaker 05

So it could be an accident.

• 22:23Laci Mosley?

But when people die, people ask more questions, because they gotta figure out like what happened, because these people died.

• 22:29Speaker 05

But if nobody dies, then it's a, it's a dead giveaway that's like, oh, everybody's been alerted that this was gonna happen. Oh, y'all all just, just so happened to not be in the vicinity when this house went off? No.

• 22:44Laci Mosley?

I get, when the house went off. I love it. Uh, so Bob Leonard's son told investigators that several items were in the van that had been taken from the home, including photos and financial documents. So these niggas also got all the stuff that they wanted out the house. Like, they went in and was like, okay, well, we gotta make sure we take our taxes so that we can file this year.

• 23:05Speaker 05

  Like, nobody does that.

• 23:07Laci Mosley?

You can't prepare, you have to make it look like an accident, y'all. You can't take all the stuff that you need out the house before you explode it.

• 23:13Speaker 05

And, and that's the funny thing is, is that they had, they were like very rational. You, you, you're gonna, you're gonna burn your place down. You can't have any rationality. You gotta be irrational so people don't see the actual steps that were made.

• 23:29Laci Mosley?

Right, and they let everyone see every step.

• 23:31Speaker 05

  Yeah.

• 23:32Laci Mosley?

So Shirley's daughter was placed with a babysitter overnight before the couple went to the casino.

• 23:37Speaker 05

The daughter gotta die too, like this, you can't, that's why it's not an accident. Oh, the cats and the daughter, they, everybody survived?

• 23:46Laci Mosley?

They should have let the cat die.

• 23:47Speaker 05

Get the fuck out of here.

• 23:48Laci Mosley?

That's really where they fucked up, they really should have let the cat die.

• 23:50Speaker 05

They should have bought a bird by accident.

• 23:52Laci Mosley?

Animals, white people love animals, so if your cat died, they would have been like, oh my god, this is a real tragedy. I know you ain't blow your cat up on purpose.

• 24:00Speaker 05

  Yep.

• 24:00Laci Mosley?

Yeah, you're right, the cat or the daughter, one of them needed to die.

• 24:04Speaker 05

Rule number one, one of them pets gotta go.

• 24:07Laci Mosley?

Like you gotta make sacrifices for the scam, you can't have a perfect scam where nobody gets hurt and nobody dies. Yo, but I will say they probably should have let the daughter die and I'll tell you why later.

• 24:17Speaker 05

Okay, why, what'd you do? I feel like you got some tea, some insider trade.

• 24:21Laci Mosley?

I'ma get to it, so the, the most damning piece of evidence was a witness statement from one of Mark Leonard's associates, who investigators said that that weekend before the explosion, Leonard, for the explosion, excuse me, Leonard told him that the house blew up. So he reportedly said that tsunami winds came down the chimney, blew out the fire in the fireplace, and the gas kept running and the house blew up. Witness told the investigators that Leonard talked about buying a Ferrari with the insurance money for the house. Okay, sir, so before the house, before you even did.

• 24:58Speaker 05

  You already run your mouth.

• 25:00Laci Mosley?

  What?

• 25:01Speaker 05

I just want everybody to know, any type of thing you're gonna do where everybody might even go to jail, somebody's gonna run their mouth, nobody is gonna keep those lips closed because they just can't, we're human beings.

• 25:14Laci Mosley?

Yeah, you gotta keep the scam small.

• 25:15Speaker 05

It's hard to keep a secret.

• 25:17Laci Mosley?

But to me, that's a mark of someone who's not a good scammer, because like, I remember I went on a date with this guy once, and he told me that he got fired from his job for insider trading.

• 25:30Speaker 05

  Right.

• 25:30Laci Mosley?

Like, so he was working at a bank and he got like basically a tip that some stock was about to do really well. Yeah, well, I'm for the people, I'm doing it for the people, so they know. Um, and so he got tipped off that a stock was gonna do really well, and he bought a bunch of it, and he made a lot of money. Then he went around the office bragging about the money that he made, and that's how he got caught. And I was more mad that he was bragging than he did the insider trading. Like, I was like, what the fuck? You're stupid. Like, you got the money, why are you talking?

• 26:00Speaker 05

Let me tell you, if I win any kind of money, I'm still shopping at Rainbow, okay? I'm still going to consignment shops. I'm, I'm wearing the cheapest shoe, like Steve Madden y Toro. I go down, that's what, that's my style. That's what I do, Aldo, let's go.

• 26:17Laci Mosley?

  Aldo, let's go.

• 26:19Speaker 05

And I'm just gonna, like, live a regular life so that you don't know that my bank account is popping.

• 26:25Laci Mosley?

Listen, I buy expensive shit. I love expensive shit.

• 26:28Speaker 05

I know, I see you with your LV bag over there.

• 26:30Laci Mosley?

But I will say that I'll never buy expensive luggage unless I start flying private. Because it is insane to me that people have Louis Vuitton luggage that says rob me. Your luggage literally says steal me. Like, what? I put all my nice shit in the raggediest ass suitcase so that if I leave that shit on the carousel, nobody gonna get no ideas.

• 26:48Speaker 05

  Yeah, the, people are dumb.

• 29:09Speaker 05

Okay, what's the rest of the story?

• 29:12Laci Mosley?

So, yeah, he bragged about it to his friends. And also, before they did this, they took out a $300,000 insurance policy on the home, very, very close to the date. So they, yeah, it had recently been increased. I don't give you the exact timeframe, but it's obviously within a year. They're saying that it recently got increased. So, guys, you should increase your insurance, but not right before you blow your house up.

• 29:36Speaker 05

Yeah, like you gotta do it maybe a year before?

• 29:38Laci Mosley?

Yeah, you gotta plan this scam out a little bit.

• 29:40Speaker 05

Actually, when you watch documentaries, they be watching when you take out these policies. So like even a year, two years is just too close, because nobody is just reading up on their policy unless they have to.

• 29:52Laci Mosley?

You gotta play the long game.

• 29:53Speaker 05

  Yeah.

• 29:53Laci Mosley?

You gotta play the long game. If you in love, but you know maybe you want to kill your spouse.

• 29:59Speaker 05

Who even does that anymore? That's so dated. Oh, you gonna kill somebody for money? Get a life.

• 30:04Laci Mosley?

Right? It is very basic. And I think that's why they got caught, because they were like, guys, this is the most basic scam we know about this.

• 30:13Laci Mosley?

So investigators discovered a number of allegations of insurance fraud and other scams by Mark Leonard prior to the blast, particularly involving stolen or wrecked automobiles. So this nigga was doing the swoop-a-squat.

• 30:29Speaker 05

  Wait, what's that?

• 30:31Laci Mosley?

Okay, so I learned this from the black man at Allstate who do them commercials, who was the president on twenty four. And I personally think responsible for Barack Obama being president. He was our first black president on TV. Anyway, he talks like this and he's all sick guy and his voice. It's called a swoop and squat. So the swoop is squat is where you are in a car. You get in front of somebody and then you hit your brakes real hard so that they slam into the back of you. And then you collect the insurance.

• 31:01Laci Mosley?

So my nigga Mark was out here doing super squats.

• 31:04Speaker 05

I mean, this just, that's like kindergarten work.

• 31:08Laci Mosley?

I mean, I do appreciate it just because like he's a career scammer. And to find out that he was a career scammer really energized me because I think that you can make a living from scams. You just can't get greedy.

• 31:20Speaker 05

  You're gonna get caught though.

• 31:21Laci Mosley?

And you can't get lazy. And this was Mark's laziest scam.

• 31:24Speaker 05

You're gonna get caught and you're, when you do finally get caught, nobody's gonna feel sorry for you and you're gonna be stuck.

• 31:32Laci Mosley?

I feel sorry for Mark. Also, though, I will say, I feel like Mark didn't love Shirley. I think Mark got with Shirley because she had a home and some nice things.

• 31:42Speaker 05

I'm sorry, that's what love is.

• 31:44Laci Mosley?

  Yeah, it's scam.

• 31:45Speaker 05

It's a shelter, you need shelter, okay, and longevity. Who, when you love people who have absolutely bring absolutely nothing to the table. You don't understand what love is. I can't, I can't love you if we sleeping on the floor. I just can't.

• 32:04Laci Mosley?

  No, I hate you.

• 32:05Speaker 05

I don't have good back support.

• 32:06Laci Mosley?

I used to date beautiful poor boys, like boys who are so.

• 32:12Speaker 05

  Attractive man that's also poor.

• 32:15Laci Mosley?

Oh, no. Now if like, if you have no money, my vagina is arid.

• 32:21Speaker 05

I've never met somebody who's attractive, that's a man and poor. If you're a good looking man, you gonna get some money.

• 32:29Laci Mosley?

  I know.

• 32:30Speaker 05

  Yeah.

• 32:31Laci Mosley?

You know, men are always scamming too. I meet men who literally like try to scam me.

• 32:37Speaker 05

You live in LA, that's why. There's a lot of homelessness going on.

• 32:41Laci Mosley?

One was in New York. Literally, we was talking and he was like, damn, I really need this new camera. Like, could you get it for me? And I was like, are you out of your fucking mind?

• 32:48Speaker 05

  Who said that to you?

• 32:49Laci Mosley?

I will never buy you anything. A Brooklyn boy.

• 32:52Speaker 05

Nobody buys cameras. You have an iPhone X. Like, it's a $1,200 phone. Portrait mode, bitch. Like, you better know how to use a portrait mode if that's, if that's the last case scenario.

• 33:05Laci Mosley?

Men want me to be their sugar mama. It happens often.

• 33:07Speaker 05

Well, you're on TV now, so duh. I want you to be my sugar mama. I'm, I'm, I'm looking at your bag and I'm like, sis, get me a cab to the, to, to the airport.

• 33:18Laci Mosley?

So she's already planning her next scam.

• 33:19Speaker 05

  Yeah, I really am.

• 33:21Laci Mosley?

So Mark Leonard wasn't just doing swoop and squats. Mark Leonard also had several complaints from several women claiming that Leonard scammed them out of thousands of dollars. Many of the women reported that they met him on dating sites and that he soon began asking them for money. One woman previously won like a seven thou- $70,000 judgment against Leonard in a civil suit after lending him $53,000, which he never repaid. Another woman reported that she had loaned him about $5,000 for a construction job. So this all makes me feel that Leonard must be slinging that pipe.

• 33:55Speaker 05

  Oh, the dick is great.

• 33:56Laci Mosley?

  The dick is fantastic.

• 33:58Speaker 05

  Okay.

• 33:59Laci Mosley?

Chef's kiss on that dick because.

• 34:01Speaker 05

  Delicioso.

• 34:02Laci Mosley?

What kind of dick is making you give somebody $53,000?

• 34:07Speaker 05

The most I've ever given was like an iPod Nano. And that was like, we don't even have Nanos anymore, so.

• 34:16Laci Mosley?

I gave my ex-boyfriend, who I'm pretty sure had a sugar daddy, I gave him a bull of a watch. And it was like 400 bucks.

• 34:21Speaker 05

  Idiot.

• 34:22Laci Mosley?

  I was young. I was dumb. I was 19.

• 34:25Speaker 05

  Foolish.

• 34:25Laci Mosley?

  Oh, my God.

• 34:26Speaker 05

I don't even know if I could talk to you anymore on this podcast because that's.

• 34:29Laci Mosley?

No, don't leave. She's getting up.

• 34:31Speaker 05

Why would you do such a thing like that?

• 34:33Laci Mosley?

Listen, love, the biggest scam. But yeah, so he obviously was slinging that pipe.

• 34:39Laci Mosley?

  And he

• 34:40Speaker 05

Fifty thousand dollars? Well, now I wanna know her story. Like, where does she work?

• 34:44Laci Mosley?

Also, she got a lot of money. If you got fifty-three thousand dollars to loan to anybody, you got too much money.

• 34:50Speaker 05

Was it in increments, or she just went to the bank and, like, made it rain?

• 34:55Laci Mosley?

  Was it installments?

• 34:56Speaker 05

Like, what's up? Did she PayPal him?

• 34:58Laci Mosley?

Truly, I don't know. And like, he was like, he, he gave some people excuses. Like, another woman reported that she gave him five thousand for a construction job, which he said he was gonna pay back. Construction where?

• 35:09Speaker 05

  Unheard of.

• 35:10Laci Mosley?

  He must be buff.

• 35:12Speaker 05

Construction, wherever they live, is two dollars. There's no way.

• 35:15Laci Mosley?

Right, they live in Indianapolis. They don't, you don't need five thousand dollars to do construction. You right about that. I mean, so he's been scamming. And I think that's why I think that he wasn't with Shirley for real, for real. I think he saw an opportunity in burning down her house. Because he scammed women before. Like, love is his probably biggest income. So I was like, okay, I see you, Mark Leonard.

• 35:36Speaker 05

That's why I'm never gonna be single again, man.

• 35:38Laci Mosley?

So, Monster at Shirley, Mark Leonard, and Bob Leonard. So, Mark brought, brought his brother in on the job.

• 35:44Speaker 05

Hey, keep it in the family, yo. Keep it in the family.

• 35:48Laci Mosley?

He was smart about that. But I think, like, if you won't scam, you really should scam with your blood relatives. Like, they're probably the most trustworthy people.

• 35:54Speaker 05

No. Fuck family. Family be the first one and just throw you under the bus depot.

• 36:01Laci Mosley?

Well, Bob Leonard did throw him under the bus.

• 36:03Speaker 05

Exactly. I know, I know this work.

• 36:06Laci Mosley?

He talked to the police like he was in an Oprah interview. He gave them everything.

• 36:10Speaker 05

Don't let me be in the interrogation room. I'm giving up my whole family.

• 36:14Laci Mosley?

  Damn.

• 36:15Speaker 05

For Snickers bar. That's it. When the sugar's low, I go crazy.

• 36:20Laci Mosley?

You're talking about other crimes. We don't even need that information. You're like, no, no, no, let me tell you another thing. My cousin be running numbers. You want his number?

• 36:29Speaker 05

  Yeah, that's exactly.

• 36:31Laci Mosley?

That's not what we're here talking about. I'll give you everyone. Um, so they were all charged with two counts of murder and arson in the deaths of Dion and Jennifer Longworth. So though the trio was eligible for the death penalty under Indiana law, prosecutors chose to pursue life sentences without parole. Shirley and the Leonard brothers stating that they believed the jury would be unlikely to impose the death penalty as there was no evidence that the suspects intended to kill anybody. So basically they were like, we're not gonna hit you with the death penalty because y'all ain't know that people was home during the explosion. Like clearly they didn't want to kill anybody. They didn't want to kill their daughter.

• 37:08Speaker 05

If you blow up a fucking home on a block and you don't notify everybody on that block, you are going to commit some type of murder.

• 37:19Laci Mosley?

That shit is rude. Like they could have at least been like, hey y'all, uh, don't be home from the hours.

• 37:24Speaker 05

  Yeah.

• 37:25Laci Mosley?

  They were already so sloppy.

• 37:27Speaker 05

I would have called up and like, yo, the mob has been after me for like weeks. So if I was you, I would, I would go to that vacation home you got in Savannah or something and peace out.

• 37:37Laci Mosley?

To the Hollywood Casino in Indianapolis. The Hollywood Casino in Indianapolis sounds like a place where you go and you lose the small amount of money that you had. And they have one gift store and you have to buy an outfit and then start hooking in front of the casino to get home. Like it sounds like the saddest place in the world.

• 37:55Speaker 05

I love it. I feel like that's the way I need to have my funeral on. That's my brand.

• 38:02Laci Mosley?

Looking for places to find your funeral, have your funeral at?

• 38:05Speaker 05

  Yeah, that's it.

• 38:07Laci Mosley?

Well, this was tragic. Um, so yeah, they didn't pursue the death penalty. Um, a fourth person, Gary Thompson, was charged in January 2015 with the same charges.

• 38:18Speaker 05

  Gary Thompson, black.

• 38:20Laci Mosley?

  Gary, do sound black.

• 38:21Speaker 05

  Yeah, nigga, for sure.

• 38:23Laci Mosley?

  Gary almost got away.

• 38:27Laci Mosley?

Bring Gary Black ass in here. I'm going to jail. Gary going to jail too.

• 38:30Speaker 05

Name is Gary. Anything with Gary and then the last name starts with a T, black.

• 38:36Laci Mosley?

Right, very black. That's why he got charged. Poor guy. I feel bad for Gary. It ain't right for him to get charged.

• 38:41Speaker 05

Watch you find out he's Asian.

• 38:45Laci Mosley?

So in April 2015, a fifth man, Glenn Holtz, was charged with conspiracy to commit arson. So I think these are the two guys who were in the van.

• 38:52Speaker 05

  Yeah.

• 38:53Laci Mosley?

Holtz and his then fiance babysat Shirley's daughter on the night of the explosion. Shirley alleged that Holtz initially came up with the idea. Okay, so Shirley, you are dropping dime on everybody, like, they babysat your daughter, like.

• 39:05Speaker 05

  So?

• 39:08Speaker 05

  Everybody could get this smoke.

• 39:12Laci Mosley?

Shirley was like, I was also at the bank earlier and the teller told me it was a good idea too. Get that bitch too, go to First Trust National Bank.

• 39:19Speaker 05

  Yeah.

• 39:20Laci Mosley?

And ask for Ashley, because that, we gotta go to jail.

• 39:23Speaker 05

I'm sorry, if anybody has not watched First Forty Eight, that is the number one show if you want to see people give up and just rat on everybody.

• 39:32Laci Mosley?

  Everybody.

• 39:33Speaker 05

  They don't hold back.

• 39:35Laci Mosley?

Like, damn, they babysat your child, you gonna do that?

• 39:38Speaker 05

  So?

• 39:39Laci Mosley?

So prostitutes contend that they filled the house with natural gas, like they talked to their neighbor about. And then used a spark from a microwave, which could be set in advance to detonate it. The alleged motive for the arson was to collect the insurance money to ease financial strain. Shirley was set to receive over three hundred thousand dollars in insurance money for the replacement of the home.

• 39:57Speaker 05

That's not even a lot of money.

• 40:00Laci Mosley?

I mean, and not enough to change your life.

• 40:01Speaker 05

  That's not enough money.

• 40:03Laci Mosley?

Shirley, you was about to be having to blow your house up, like, every two years.

• 40:07Speaker 05

Three hundred thousand dollars, baby, like, come on.

• 40:10Laci Mosley?

They're like, Shirley blew her house up again.

• 40:12Speaker 05

Yeah. Wow, something about that house, it's just really going off.

• 40:16Laci Mosley?

Shit is flammable. So, yeah, only three hundred thousand dollars, which I, I also said was not enough. Investigators found out that the couple had it substantial debt, including sixty-three thousand dollars in credit card debt. How do you have sixty-three thousand dollars? This is a white problem. I have never had a limit that was sixty-three thousand dollars. How many credit cards do you have to get to have sixty-three thousand dollars in credit card debt?

• 40:39Speaker 05

There could be school debt, debt is universal.

• 40:43Laci Mosley?

That's a credit card debt. It says credit card debt, this is not school debt. That means a credit card company let them spend $63,000.

• 40:50Speaker 05

They still dumb because 300,000 minus 63,000, like you still not enough money.

• 40:57Laci Mosley?

Right, not at all. It's like 237,000.

• 41:00Speaker 05

When they're finished with everything, they're going about to have a hundred thou, which you can finish that. You could blow that in six months.

• 41:06Laci Mosley?

A friend of the couple reported that Mark lost $10,000 at that Hollywood casino, approximately three weeks before the explosion.

• 41:15Speaker 05

That was God letting him know. See, you don't, you can't even hold 10 Gs.

• 41:19Laci Mosley?

Bruh, you lost 10 Gs at the casino? You was like, damn.

• 41:23Speaker 05

On God. He was like, yeah, I just shouldn't have money.

• 41:26Laci Mosley?

I guess we gotta blow the house up.

• 41:28Speaker 05

  Yeah.

• 41:29Laci Mosley?

But first, let me tell my friends that I'm blowing the house up.

• 41:32Speaker 05

  Dumb.

• 41:34Speaker 05

I talk too much. That's why I can't commit any kind of crimes. I let people know before.

• 41:37Laci Mosley?

Oh no, I keep it a secret.

• 41:38Speaker 05

No, I'll drink one Arnold Palmer and I'll be at the bar like, oh, let me tell you what I'm about to do this weekend.

• 41:46Laci Mosley?

  Blow my house up.

• 41:47Speaker 05

I'm about to get this money. And then I'm like, what y'all drinking? Pellegrino? I got it.

• 41:54Laci Mosley?

Also, Mark talked too fucking much. Like, he obviously told somebody he lost $10,000, which is a flex. If you tell somebody you lost $10,000 in the casino, it's a flex to just have $10,000 to lose.

• 42:03Speaker 05

I would say I was robbed. I would never say that I lost. I would say they, I would Jussie Smollett the whole situation because I'm not telling nobody that I lost $10,000. That's embarrassing.

• 42:17Laci Mosley?

Yeah, look, you gotta drip drop, drip, drippity drop.

• 42:19Speaker 05

Yo, they held me at gunpoint.

• 42:22Laci Mosley?

They pistol whipped me. You have no bruises.

• 42:24Speaker 05

They put a ball in my anus. Like, I'm going all out.

• 42:28Laci Mosley?

I think it's a flex. I think it's a flex to be like, oh, I lost 10 Gs in the casino. You know how I do. Anyway.

• 42:34Speaker 05

I'm tired of Mark. He gotta go. Is he in jail now?

• 42:37Laci Mosley?

Let me get another Aperol spritz. Oh, you know Mark is under the jail. A second mortgage was taken out on the home for $65,000 in addition to the original home loan of $116,000. So I didn't already mortgage this home. They put out a second mortgage on this bitch.

• 42:53Speaker 05

It just wasn't made for them to win.

• 42:57Laci Mosley?

Like, anybody watching your shit, your shit has got red flags, ding ding ding ding ding. Like, you increased your insurance, and then you also took out a second mortgage on your home? Like...

• 43:07Speaker 05

I would be mad if I was them, listening to you tell they story. I'm like, damn, was I, were we really that stupid?

• 43:13Laci Mosley?

Y'all were very dumb, for real. So prosecutors initially sought to try the couple together, but defendants were granted the right to have separate trials. I think this is Shirley's doing. She was like, "Don't try me with that nigga, like, he is a Chris Scammer."

• 43:26Speaker 05

She said, "That was a accomplice, uh, accomplice by default."

• 43:30Laci Mosley?

Prosecutors then proposed an unusual strategy involving one trial, but three separate juries, one for each defendant. This type of trial is unusual, but not unheard of. So basically, the last time that they did this kind of trial in this state was for the Menendez brothers.

• 43:45Speaker 05

  Yo.

• 43:47Laci Mosley?

  They Menendez'd these niggas.

• 43:48Speaker 05

  Talk about legendary.

• 43:51Laci Mosley?

That, you get a Menendez trial, that mean they really trying to make sure your ass go to jail. That ain't even fair.

• 43:56Speaker 05

That's right behind the OJ Simpson murder, the Men- Menendez brothers.

• 44:00Laci Mosley?

  Yes.

• 44:01Speaker 05

  They killed their parents.

• 44:02Laci Mosley?

Oh, they very much killed their parents.

• 44:04Speaker 05

  Wow.

• 44:05Laci Mosley?

So the defendants requested that the trials be moved over concerns that they would not receive a fair trial in central Indiana due to the high-profile media coverage by the case. And they actually got granted that, so they got to be tried, like, in some random ass place where, I guess people don't know Shirley and they don't know Mark Leonard.

• 44:21Speaker 05

  Yuck.

• 44:23Laci Mosley?

Shirley pled guilty to two counts of conspiracy to commit arson, and she testified against all the other suspects. Shirley came out here and dropped dime on everybody.

• 44:33Speaker 05

You have to. That's the only way that you can have immunity and get the fuck out in a decent timeframe, and I'm here for that.

• 44:42Laci Mosley?

She admitted to raising the limit on her insurance coverage because Mark urged her to, and only went along with the plot out of love for him.

• 44:50Speaker 05

I was a man. This is a man.

• 44:53Laci Mosley?

Look, guys, I was diktatized. A court stenographer, can you put diktatized on the record?

• 44:58Speaker 05

  No, she said the patriarchy.

• 45:00Laci Mosley?

Diktatized, um, which is a real medical condition. I have a psychiatrist here to testify about dictimation, dictimization. Yes, can we get my psychiatrist to the stand?

• 45:13Laci Mosley?

He literally fucked my brains out, guys. I had no brains. And that's why.

• 45:19Speaker 05

  I feel like that's valid.

• 45:21Laci Mosley?

  He fucked me so good.

• 45:25Laci Mosley?

I took him to Red Lobster and also I let him blow up my house.

• 45:29Speaker 05

Yeah, but I would love to. I know Shirley got some friends that'd be like, I was there. That bitch is dumb. She would do that stunt before she even got the dick. I would just want, where are her friends at who know her well?

• 45:41Laci Mosley?

She don't got no good friends because I feel like I would talk to my friends. I'd be at brunch, be like, y'all, I just saw this man, his name, Mark Leonard, two first names. Um, I'm actually gonna show you a picture of Shirley.

• 45:51Speaker 05

  Ooh, finally.

• 45:52Laci Mosley?

So this is my girl Shirley.

• 45:54Speaker 05

Oh, that haircut. Hello, baby. She looked like, ah, she would definitely give up her whole family.

• 46:02Laci Mosley?

That haircut just asked me for my ID. That haircut just asked me to see the manager. This haircut says, I have biracial children.

• 46:09Speaker 05

Yeah. And who are those men next to her?

• 46:12Laci Mosley?

So this is, this is Mark Leonard, the one in the middle right here. That's Mark Leonard. He not even that fine.

• 46:20Speaker 05

He looked like possibly meth has been in the family.

• 46:23Laci Mosley?

I think he's an Indianapolis Seven, though. I think maybe, you know, and also, you know, when you get older and you look like Shirley? Any man looking your way, you probably like.

• 46:34Speaker 05

  She's starting to get desperate.

• 46:36Laci Mosley?

  You know what I mean?

• 46:36Speaker 05

But she, where she originally fucked up is that haircut. That's what, that's what got her in the problems that she is in right now.

• 46:44Laci Mosley?

That haircut actually is the reason that her life.

• 46:49Laci Mosley?

Well, she should have, she also should have dropped out of her hairstylist. And also, y'all need to go get.

• 46:56Laci Mosley?

  Talia Johnson.

• 46:57Speaker 05

  Talia.

• 46:58Laci Mosley?

And Supercuts. Get that bitch and put her in jail, too.

• 47:01Speaker 05

Talia is such a hairdresser name.

• 47:03Laci Mosley?

Cause she gave me this haircut.

• 47:06Speaker 05

Like a tacky hairdresser who like uses, uh, Vidal Sassoon.

• 47:10Laci Mosley?

Oh, yes. You know she used Vidal Sassoon.

• 47:14Laci Mosley?

So Mark Leonard's trial began in June of 2015. His defense team admitted that the blaze was intentionally set, but told jurors it was only intended to be a small fire and that murder was never his intention. The defense became that Richmond Hill explosion was supposed to be stupid and selfish insurance fraud that went horribly wrong, adding precautions were taken to ensure people weren't harmed, which I believe. They obviously babysat their daughter and they even put their cat away, which I

• 47:45Speaker 05

That is, this is why, I'm not saying I hate people like this, but I hate people like this. You care more about animals than human beings?

• 47:57Laci Mosley?

They had 3,000 pieces of evidence. Prosecutors had 3,000 pieces of evidence and they had potential to call up 175 witnesses. How? You been told 175 people you was gonna blow up your house? 175?

• 48:18Speaker 05

Cheryl was at Payless like, girl, I'm gonna be able to buy this, this whole place, watch. I got something in the works. Girl, get you a pair of shoes, I got you. Put it on my tab.

• 48:30Laci Mosley?

They were like, oh, you need this in a six and a half? Yeah, yeah, yeah, can I get them in a six and a half? Also, I'm blowing up my house.

• 48:35Speaker 05

  Yeah.

• 48:38Laci Mosley?

Welcome to Chick-fil-A, how may I help you? Hi, can I get a three-piece neck and meal with extra sauce? I know y'all charging now, but it's cool, cuz I'm gonna blow up my house.

• 48:48Speaker 05

I know y'all charging now, weren't they always charging?

• 48:51Laci Mosley?

They charge for extra sauce now.

• 48:52Speaker 05

  Oh.

• 48:53Laci Mosley?

  At Chick-fil-A. Yes.

• 48:55Speaker 05

  Obviously, I don't shop there.

• 48:58Laci Mosley?

It's a delicious bad place. But literally Cheryl was out here telling everybody she was about to blow her house up. They were like, ma'am, we need to validate your car. You're like, yeah, here are my keys. Also, I'm about to blow my house up. Like, how do 175 people know you was about to blow up your house?

• 49:12Speaker 05

No, what happened? What happened is...

• 49:17Speaker 05

What happened is, is that she told three people. And then that's how the whole town found out.

• 49:22Laci Mosley?

  And this is Indianapolis.

• 49:24Speaker 05

  Yeah.

• 49:24Laci Mosley?

You're right. Like, that's a good story. If somebody told me they was blowing up their house and I was in Indianapolis, I would definitely be sharing that with everyone. So Bob Leonard was convicted on fifty-one counts, including murder and conspiracy to commit arson.

• 49:37Speaker 05

  Oh.

• 49:38Laci Mosley?

Can't talk. He was sentenced to two life sentences without parole, as well as seventy years from other charges. So there was like, don't pass go, don't collect two hundred dollars. Never leave in jail.

• 49:52Speaker 05

  Right.

• 49:52Laci Mosley?

Monster, she, so Shirley pled guilty to conspiracy to commit arson. Her attorneys argued that she was trapped in an abusive relationship and was coerced by Mark Leonard to participate in the crime. So now she says abusive. So.

• 50:05Speaker 05

Oh, she's playing a victim now.

• 50:06Laci Mosley?

Now it's also abusive. I'm not gonna question it. I can't question that.

• 50:11Speaker 05

I love putting on that victim cardigan. You know what I mean? Real fresh, fresh Ann Taylor victim cardigan, like, real fall of two thousand and twenty.

• 50:20Laci Mosley?

I'm into it. Into it. I love this song. It's my favorite song. Uh, Gary Thompson, our black man who's just roped into this, uh, he's actually white. But Gary Thompson pled guilty to conspiracy to commit arson and was sentenced to thirty years in prison. All he did was babysit her daughter and he got thirty fucking years.

• 50:39Speaker 05

  It happens.

• 50:40Laci Mosley?

  You hate to see it.

• 50:41Speaker 05

  Yeah.

• 50:42Laci Mosley?

But Mark is the most petty because he died.

• 50:48Laci Mosley?

Tuesday, January thirtieth, twenty eighteen. So he only served three years.

• 50:52Speaker 05

  Word.

• 50:55Laci Mosley?

Y'all thought I was going to jail, bitch? I'mma die.

• 50:58Speaker 05

The gag, the gag is, I'm out. Literally, I'm out of this world.

• 51:03Laci Mosley?

I'm out. I'm leaving the world, bitch. You thought I was gonna do these seventy years? Like a real scammer. He died.

• 51:08Speaker 05

He said, boy, you see this hairline? I'm not doing, I am not going bald in this bitch. I'm out.

• 51:16Laci Mosley?

  I stand.

• 51:18Speaker 05

  I stand.

• 51:19Laci Mosley?

  A king, you know?

• 51:20Speaker 05

  Yeah.

• 51:21Laci Mosley?

And also, the reason I said that Shirley should have probably let her daughter blow up in the house was Shirley's daughter testified.

• 51:30Speaker 05

  You're so problematic, but yeah.

• 51:32Laci Mosley?

I know, but her daughter testified against them.

• 51:36Laci Mosley?

I'm gonna let me testify. I'm losing. I'm gonna, please let me testify. She testified against her mama, which, what? I would never testify against my mama.

• 51:49Speaker 05

  I would. Without a doubt, I wouldn't even hold back. For a two-piece and a biscuit, baby.

• 51:55Laci Mosley?

  You testified for too little.

• 51:57Speaker 05

  Yeah.

• 51:58Laci Mosley?

You testified for way too little.

• 51:59Speaker 05

  That's how I'm telling you, I don't give a fuck. That's how little I have invested it.

• 52:05Laci Mosley?

Shout out to Mark, cuz he was a career scammer.

• 52:09Speaker 05

Is that the end of the story?

• 52:10Laci Mosley?

And he died as he lived. Yes, they went to jail. Shirley did have to go to jail. Uh, look at her going to jail. They got, they got photos of her going to jail.

• 52:17Speaker 05

So she might as well die too.

• 52:19Laci Mosley?

Swipe over it and see how she's like so distraught.

• 52:21Speaker 05

Oh, she got black hair now?

• 52:22Laci Mosley?

  Yeah.

• 52:23Speaker 05

She didn't let them get to her.

• 52:25Laci Mosley?

Well, you can't, Talia can't do your highlights when you in jail.

• 52:28Speaker 05

True, true, true. I'm fucked up. That's my bad. I clearly don't know how jail works. I don't know, do people be having FaceTime and whatnot now? And, and they have wifi and they can post on Facebook? So I'm just assuming.

• 52:40Laci Mosley?

After JT from the City Girls went to jail, I was like, oh, you can have so much in jail. JT be posting on her Instagram from jail.

• 52:46Speaker 05

  No.

• 52:47Laci Mosley?

  Yes.

• 52:48Speaker 05

  Ugh.

• 52:49Laci Mosley?

  I love it.

• 52:50Speaker 05

  I'm so tired.

• 52:51Laci Mosley?

  Real hot girl shit.

• 52:52Speaker 05

  I, no, I'm exhausted.

• 52:54Laci Mosley?

If I go to jail, my Instagram will still be popping, for sure, for sure.

• 52:58Speaker 05

  No, thank you.

• 52:59Laci Mosley?

But yeah, so shout out to Mark Leonard, a king. He died as he lived.

• 53:04Speaker 05

I'm proud of Mark. I would have done the same thing. How dare, I'm, so I'm not, so you're saying I'm not getting my money? And I'm going to jail? I'm out.

• 53:13Laci Mosley?

  I'm dying. I'm a notebook myself. I'm a will myself to die.

• 53:17Speaker 05

I'm not getting this money and I got it? Oh, wow.

• 53:20Laci Mosley?

Not suicide, I'm just gonna mentally will myself to die. They said he died of natural causes.

• 53:24Speaker 05

Ah, bitch, you know, that was a scam itself. You know, he was able to, there's no way he died naturally. In jail?

• 53:34Laci Mosley?

  I don't know.

• 53:34Speaker 05

I've never heard of that. How old was he?

• 53:37Laci Mosley?

  Forty-eight.

• 53:37Speaker 05

Nobody is dying naturally in jail at forty-eight. It's just not happening.

• 53:43Laci Mosley?

Maybe. I don't know. I think he willed himself to die. I think he went to sleep and was like, this is it. I'm not waking up.

• 53:50Speaker 05

Honey, I've tried that before and I woke up and I was like, fuck, I'm still here. So there's, that doesn't work. Unless you got some like spooky white manpower's where you could just, you know, do such a thing. Um, it's not real.

• 54:03Laci Mosley?

Look, he had, he had the kind of dick that makes you give away fifty-three thousand dollars, so.

• 54:08Speaker 05

You know what? Illuminati, natty, natty.

• 54:11Laci Mosley?

He called on the powers of his dick.

• 54:14Speaker 05

He, so he just rubbed his dick three times and was like, I wish I was dead. I wish I was dead. I wish I was dead.

• 54:20Laci Mosley?

I think that's how it happened. It is time for scammer of the week. Uh, scammer of the week is where we just highlight an exceptional charlatan and just give them a little bit of praise at the end of the episode. Um, this week, it is Shaniqua Jordan, who was charged with larceny and attempted larceny. Uh, she's a fashion blogger who is known on Instagram as simplicity X style.

• 54:46Speaker 05

  Wait.

• 54:46Laci Mosley?

She's known for posing in high fashion brands such as YSL, Louboutin, Chanel, and going to some pretty serious legal troubles because she was scamming a Connecticut woman. She apparently stole fifty thousand dollars from a Connecticut woman.

• 54:58Speaker 05

Wait, let me see a picture of her?

• 55:00Laci Mosley?

Uh, let me find a picture of her. So she posted five days ago and she's got the new Chanel bag. She's super cute.

• 55:07Speaker 05

So how much is she still?

• 55:08Laci Mosley?

She stole fifty thousand dollars from a Connecticut woman, but I'm sure that wasn't the first time she stole.

• 55:13Speaker 05

Fifty thousand dollars, not even that much.

• 55:14Laci Mosley?

Right. Also, do it for the gram. Like, she's doing it for a cause. I don't want her to get caught. I was sad that she got caught.

• 55:21Speaker 05

She looks great. I'm about to follow her.

• 55:24Speaker 05

I wanna see her journey, yo.

• 55:25Laci Mosley?

I'm about to get fashion tips from her.

• 55:27Speaker 05

  Yes, worth these looks.

• 55:30Laci Mosley?

Honestly, she's doing a community service and I don't think that she could've got, like, should've got pinched and I feel bad for her. She's beautiful.

• 55:36Speaker 05

  She looks great.

• 55:37Laci Mosley?

  I'm into it.

• 55:38Speaker 05

Here, let me send this to myself.

• 55:40Laci Mosley?

But also, I feel, Sydney's really following her right now on Instagram. I also feel like probably most Instagram fashion bloggers are running some kind of scam because how are you keeping up with these looks?

• 55:51Speaker 05

Yo, I'd be so mad because I'm just like, one, not only are you looking good, but then you're traveling? It's not fair. I have, what is your, I don't need to know what your income is, like, I don't need to know how much you make.

• 56:07Laci Mosley?

She's working hard, though. Scams are hard work.

• 56:08Speaker 05

  Oh, God.

• 56:09Laci Mosley?

  Scams are very hard work.

• 56:11Speaker 05

  Tell me your real job.

• 56:11Laci Mosley?

They're depleting, they're exhausting, and also you have to stay ahead of the game. Like, when you scam, you gotta be thinking about your next scam, you know what I mean? You can't be just in the moment with scams. That's not how they work. That's why Mark Leonard got picked up.

• 56:25Speaker 05

He's like, so we just, he was trying to do this, set it off like, oh, we just gonna rob this last bank and then that's it. And it's like, actually, everybody died except you.

• 56:33Laci Mosley?

  Literally.

• 56:34Speaker 05

  Yeah, well, Mark died too.

• 56:35Laci Mosley?

Mark died too. Uh, Mark went out like Queen Latifah and set it off, just riddled with bullets.

• 56:40Speaker 05

He did, and I love that. You got like a G, you know? Don't let them see you with your head down.

• 56:46Laci Mosley?

Nah, nah. My nigga Mark wasn't about to do that jail time. He wasn't doing that bit.

• 56:51Speaker 05

I'm still upset about yesterday. I'm, I can't believe, like, I'm so frazzled. I don't even know why. It's like, I knew nothing was gonna happen, but I tricked myself into believing. And I was like, oh, she totally is into me.

• 57:05Laci Mosley?

Well, that's the biggest part of scams is like scam artists know that you can't just scam anybody. You have to scam someone who's kind of willing to be scammed a little bit. It's that hope. We call it the Despo meter, like, how desperate are you?

• 57:19Speaker 05

Look at that gem you just dropped.

• 57:21Laci Mosley?

You know what I mean? Like, are you gonna suck dick for water? How desperate are you, you know?

• 57:24Speaker 05

Well, sorry, sis, I was on a set not sucking dick for water. I'm better than that. How dare you try to drag me on your podcast with your listeners who don't know me from Adam?

• 57:38Speaker 05

That is disrespectful and you should lose your friend card on that. I don't know if I'll be speaking to you after this drops. Straight up and down.

• 57:46Laci Mosley?

That was a Fire Fest reference, Sid.

• 57:48Speaker 05

No, Andy King canceled. He's canceled. Like after, what, a month? I was like, who, Andy who?

• 57:57Laci Mosley?

I want Andy King to have a career.

• 57:58Speaker 05

No, I heard he was gonna have a show.

• 58:01Laci Mosley?

Yeah, he needs to hop on it faster. I hope it's coming out.

• 58:04Speaker 05

He is a real scam artist because all of a sudden you talking about sucking dick for some festival that you knew was shit from jump?

• 58:11Laci Mosley?

  I love it.

• 58:12Speaker 05

He knew if he was like, if I say this in this documentary, my shit is gonna pop.

• 58:16Laci Mosley?

I, and yeah, and then he's like-

• 58:17Speaker 05

  He's an opportunist.

• 58:18Laci Mosley?

And I love it. That's what you have to be as a scammer too. Like it's also scamming is about opportunity. Like if a door is unlocked, if a safe is cracked, you know what I mean? Like you have to be ready to hop on those moments.

• 58:28Speaker 05

I looked at that picture of that commissioner and ain't no way he was gonna be getting his dick sucked ever.

• 58:35Laci Mosley?

Billy McFarland was on Molly constantly. And I think that he literally probably called Andy and was like, yo, we need you to get this water. Like do whatever you gotta do, suck dick for it. And like probably was joking and Andy like took that moment and was like, but I put some breath freshener in my mouth.

• 58:49Speaker 05

Shut up. And then he went there and I was like, I was looking at that guy that he was supposed to suck his dick. And I was just like, no, he's not allowing that. Like he was like, he, and even he said in the documentary, he's like, uh, yeah, you ain't gotta do that. Just make sure we get our money.

• 59:08Laci Mosley?

No, no, no, I'm gonna suck the dick. It was like he volunteered to suck the dick. Everyone was like, Andy, no, we don't need you to suck dick.

• 59:13Speaker 05

Andy, tell the truth, you was running, you were willing to and you were ready. You wanted to.

• 59:18Laci Mosley?

But I already put my lip gloss on. Somebody dick getting sucked.

• 59:22Laci Mosley?

I put Listerine in my mouth, somebody dick getting sucked.

• 59:24Speaker 05

He probably was like, does anybody know where Ja Rule is?

• 59:29Speaker 05

He was looking for Ja Rule the whole time during Five of Us. It was like, so I heard I had to suck a dick.

• 59:35Laci Mosley?

What do I do about my baby?

• 59:39Laci Mosley?

Yo, Ja Rule is the biggest scammer of all. He really got away from this unscathed. In fact, he got publicity. I was like, I didn't know Ja Rule had enough money to scam anyone.

• 59:48Speaker 05

No, he had publicity, but people still weren't on his side. So he got publicity and still is in the hole.

• 59:54Laci Mosley?

  Maybe.

• 59:55Speaker 05

So he's not a good scammer?

• 59:56Laci Mosley?

  That's true.

• 59:57Speaker 05

You have to be likable, and he's not.

• 59:59Laci Mosley?

  Yeah.

• 1:00:00Speaker 05

I don't care if you are on this boat with your shirt off. I don't care how many abs you have. We still remember.

• 1:00:06Laci Mosley?

  It's murder.

• 1:00:06Speaker 05

We remember what 50 Cent did to you, and you're done.

• 1:00:10Laci Mosley?

Yeah, you know why he didn't get away with that shit? Because you have to go to jail after you lose a rap beef so that you can get your cred back. Because Meek Mill went to jail after Drake beat him in the rap beef. And now we like all respect Meek Mill again.

• 1:00:23Speaker 05

  Do we?

• 1:00:23Laci Mosley?

Yeah. No, after he went to jail, he became an activist. And we were like, oh, my God, Meek Mill, like, we love you.

• 1:00:29Speaker 05

Oh, it just so worked out that he's an activist.

• 1:00:33Laci Mosley?

You gotta go to jail, though. You can't just lose a rap beef and then just like try to exist as a rapper anymore. That's what fucked up with Ja Rule. That's why he never got back on top.

• 1:00:43Speaker 05

No, he never got back on top because he's, one, corn on the cob.

• 1:00:47Laci Mosley?

  It's murder.

• 1:00:48Speaker 05

Like, cream of corn. It didn't take 50 Cent to do that much to ruin his whole career. You know? Yeah, he was making hits, but it hits at the expense of what?

• 1:00:59Laci Mosley?

But Ja Rule is a scammer. Anyone who can growl on audio and make a career out of that is a scammer.

• 1:01:06Speaker 05

Sorry, DMX was the number one of that, and he was not a scammer. He was about that life. He was a pit bull in a skirt.

• 1:01:12Laci Mosley?

  That was the issue.

• 1:01:13Speaker 05

No, that was EVE, never mind, so sorry.

• 1:01:15Laci Mosley?

That was the issue with DMX, he could stand in jail.

• 1:01:19Speaker 05

He's like, I'm about that life.

• 1:01:20Laci Mosley?

  He's too about that life.

• 1:01:21Speaker 05

He's like, this is my brand.

• 1:01:23Laci Mosley?

All right, Sid, it was so amazing having you.

• 1:01:26Speaker 05

I had a good time, but I'm still upset. You did not help me from the issues that I had from yesterday.

• 1:01:34Laci Mosley?

I'm sorry, we're gonna, look, I'm gonna give you a Yomla hug. If I had bigger titties, you would be more comforted.

• 1:01:39Speaker 05

  No.

• 1:01:39Laci Mosley?

Like, when I get older, I have to get breast implants because I want to be like a wise black woman. And you have to have huge tits to be a wise black woman.

• 1:01:44Speaker 05

  That's not true.

• 1:01:45Laci Mosley?

You know, you do. No one wants to hug you with your, like, tits not being enveloping them, you know what I mean?

• 1:01:51Speaker 05

No, that's gross. I don't want to feel your tits.

• 1:01:52Laci Mosley?

Are you kidding? I want to be in Oprah's tits so bad, like, and just cry in them. And I bet they're so soft.

• 1:01:59Speaker 05

Okay, you will not do that to our queen. That is my president, how dare you? You better respect her.

• 1:02:06Laci Mosley?

  I do respect her.

• 1:02:07Speaker 05

We don't even mention that she has breasts, okay? That's so weird. You're nasty. She is family.

• 1:02:16Laci Mosley?

I'm not sexualizing them. I'm saying that they're probably soft, I want to cry on them.

• 1:02:20Speaker 05

No, ew. You've been around too many men, that's what that is. That's that toxic masculinity coming out, pouring out of you.

• 1:02:29Laci Mosley?

Wow, I'm being called a toxic masculine person on this podcast.

• 1:02:33Speaker 05

I don't care about them, them bundles you have in your head. You are a guy.

• 1:02:38Laci Mosley?

I only wear the finest hair. I, I watched them cut it off of the woman's head.

• 1:02:44Speaker 05

You have, you're on a show now, you have to do better. Like, if I was on a TV show, bitch, first of all, I wouldn't even be on this podcast. I would be like, first of all, I'm gonna have 12 assistants do my podcast for me and just mention my name every two seconds. And, and, and also, um, I would also promote the show every two seconds.

• 1:03:07Laci Mosley?

I'm a scammer, I like to get my hands dirty, I like to be a part of it.

• 1:03:11Speaker 05

You are, you're out here doing the field work, it's great.

• 1:03:13Laci Mosley?

But where can people find you, Sid?

• 1:03:16Speaker 05
