To realize the future America needs, we understand what's needed from us. To face each threat head-on. We've earned our place in the fight for our nation's future. We are Marines. We were made for this.

Usually, the conversation around here is about football. Today, the topic is gas for one of the sponsors. Specifically, Mobil Supreme Plus Premium Gasoline. Let's start with the fact that Mobil Supreme Plus Premium is amazing. It keeps engines three times cleaner, so engines perform better for better gas mileage. Just ask motorsports legend Shirley Chacha Muldowney. She raced top fuel dragsters in the 70s, so she knows a thing or two about gasoline. She also knows a thing or two about the 70s, so if there are any questions about leisure suits, vinyl, or fondue, fire away. One might wonder why they call her Chacha. Like, is it a family name, or a marketing ploy? Or maybe she thought it sounded cool? It's very curious. Getting back to fuel, Shirley and the team highly recommend Mobil Supreme Plus Premium

• 1:28Speaker 02

Gas, because it keeps engines three times cleaner for better performance and gas mileage. By the way, Chacha Muldowney, she drove a pink car. Mobil: Legendary. Three times cleaner compared to Mobil Regular Gas and port fuel-injected engines. Actual results may vary. Visit MobilFuels.com for details.

Do you wear contacts out there? No. So you're just out there with blurry-ass vision shooting threes?

• 1:48Travis Kelce?

You're dropping 71 with blurry vision.

• 1:52Travis Kelce?

I gotta give my guy some Lasik, man.

• 1:54Speaker 03

This dude shooting threes while he's buffering.

• 2:38Speaker 03

We got a special episode, Trav.

• 2:40Travis Kelce?

  Of course we do.

• 2:41Speaker 03

Obviously from Cleveland, and we got a pretty Cleveland episode coming up.

• 2:44Travis Kelce?

  That's what I'm talking about.

• 2:45Speaker 03

Coming to you on a Friday.

• 2:47Travis Kelce?

  Heyo.

• 2:48Speaker 03

You got this from an artist on Etsy.

• 2:50Travis Kelce?

Oh, nice. You're a big Etsy guy.

• 2:52Speaker 03

Well, I'm a big artist guy. I like to support small businesses.

• 2:54Travis Kelce?

Tell the people what that is that don't know.

• 2:56Speaker 03

So, uh, this is Rick Vaughn from the movie Major League.

• 2:58Travis Kelce?

  That is not Charlie Sheen.

• 3:00Speaker 03

Well, listen, they did their best and it's close enough to me. I think it's pretty cool.

• 3:04Travis Kelce?

That's a wild thing right there, though.

• 3:05Speaker 03

Uh, but yeah, we're coming to you on a Friday with another guest episode. This time, we're getting ready for the NBA playoffs with Cleveland's own Donovan Mitchell. That's right, baby. That's right. We're going to get into NBA playoffs. It's time at Louisville with Lamar Jackson, ranked some throwback jerseys, uh, and so much more. You're gonna love this episode. Hope everybody's getting geared up for the NBA playoffs outside of Philadelphia because Philadelphia Sixers are not very good this year, unfortunately, but Cavs are.

• 3:36Travis Kelce?

  Oh, baby.

• 3:37Speaker 03

Cavs are good. We had Ben Stiller on recently. The Knicks. The East is exciting, baby.

• 3:42Travis Kelce?

I'm hoping Cavs-Nicks find a way to meet each other in the playoffs because I've been wanting to go to a Madison Square Garden game during the playoffs since I was a kid and, um...

• 3:52Speaker 03

Are you gonna remember to wear Cleveland stuff this time, Travis?

• 3:55Travis Kelce?

What? Oh, you're talking about the Yankees game? Yeah. No, I'll be, I'll be Cleveland threaded from here on out. Yeah, I'll be rocking Cavs gear and, um, right now I'm rocking Guards gear as well as the, uh, MLB season gets, uh, gets started as well. It's been a Cleveland day, baby. You guys are gonna enjoy this one though, man. Donovan is the fucking superstar on the court, a superstar human being off the court. Let's get to it.

• 4:23Speaker 03

Our guest today is a first round pick from the University of Louisville. Slam dunk contest champion, six time NBA All-Star and the starting shooting guard for the Cleveland Cavaliers, the number one seed.

• 4:37Travis Kelce?

  Yes, sir.

• 4:38Speaker 03

  Donovan Mitchell, baby.

• 4:42Speaker 05

  Sir, I appreciate y'all, man. Appreciate y'all.

• 4:44Travis Kelce?

Thank you for coming on, big guy. How you liking Cleveland, man? You just resigned out there, man? Is the city treating you well?

• 4:50Speaker 05

Man, I love it, man. I tell people all the time, this big, big part of why I came back. Obviously, basketball is, you know, what it is, but you know, we live here too. Y'all know, when you live, you live there, so I love it, man. The people are great, city's great. I love the cold too, so I'm not really tripping on that.

• 5:06Travis Kelce?

  There we go.

• 5:07Speaker 03

There we go. That lake effect comes in. Not everybody's ready for that lake effect.

• 5:11Speaker 05

It's different, you know, it's different, but it's different, but I'm not, I'm from New York, so it's not that bad.

• 5:15Travis Kelce?

There we go. Well, as a fellow Clevelander and a Cavs fan since I was a little kid, man, I appreciate you embracing the city, man. It's hard to keep, you know, the big superstars of the league and markets like Cleveland and the Midwest and stuff like that. So I just appreciate you embracing everything and honestly taking us to new heights and taking us to the next level, man. Because this year, you guys have been absolutely on fire, man. And you coming back was a huge, huge part of that, brother.

• 5:42Speaker 05

Sir, I appreciate you guys. I'm excited. I'm excited for the playoffs too.

• 5:45Travis Kelce?

  Yes, sir.

• 5:45Speaker 03

Oh, yeah. Hell, yeah. All righty. Let's start it off with some new news. Don, I don't know if you know, but we start all of our shows off with new news. We do like to get a new news from our guests. So typically I'll say like, new news.

• 5:59Travis Kelce?

Then I'll come in like, new news. So can you give us your best new news with us?

• 6:05Speaker 05

  No, no.

• 6:08Speaker 03

That sounded like a, like a steamboat.

• 6:15Travis Kelce?

  Exactly, exactly.

• 6:16Speaker 03

That's a, that's a, he knows how to fit within. There we go.

• 6:19Speaker 05

Exactly. You guys know your role.

• 6:22Speaker 03

All right. The NBA playoffs are starting today.

• 6:25Travis Kelce?

  Yes, sir.

• 6:25Speaker 03

Cavs are the one seed in the East. This is the first time the Cavs have earned the top seed since their championship run in 2015, 2016. Shout out to that season. Trav and I were at one of those games, which was awesome. How do you feel about after 82 games?

• 6:39Speaker 05

Um, man, I feel like, you know, we accomplished so much. You know what I mean? You, you, you, we had the first two years and things, you know, we continue to take a step each year. And now, you know, you look at the evolution of really everybody on the team.

• 6:51Travis Kelce?

  Yeah.

• 6:52Speaker 05

You know, we got DG back to form, Evan Mobley's been all NBA phenomenal.

• 6:56Travis Kelce?

  Unbelievable.

• 6:57Speaker 05

Defensive player of the year, Ty Jerome, sixth man of the year. We added Dre, who's also sixth man of the year candidate. Sam Merrill's been great. Isaac's taken a step. Dean, Jared Allen played all 82 games.

• 7:09Travis Kelce?

Unbelievable, man. You get a big dude like that to play all 82? That shit is insane, man.

• 7:15Speaker 03

  Especially in today's NBA.

• 7:16Travis Kelce?

  You gotta love it.

• 7:17Speaker 05

Exactly, exactly. But like for him, for, for us, man, it's just like, Max Strus, actually, he started the season off injured, coming back and being great for us to start in the lineup. So, um, it's great, man. Like you said, this is, it's really two seasons. You got the regular season, we got the postseason. So for what we did in the regular season, man, you know, A plus, you know, we, we did a lot of positive things, um, learned a lot about ourselves. And now we get to translate all that, you know, to when it really gets going.

• 7:42Travis Kelce?

Yeah, baby. When it all matters, man. We're all fucking pumped for it, dog. Um, and I tell everybody all the time, man, NBA basketball is cool, but watching you guys play basketball together, you guys are on a completely different wavelength. You guys move the ball so fucking well. You guys get up and down the floor. You have so many different styles of basketball, depending on if you guys got your starting five or those two sixth man of the year candidates that you guys got. So it's like, it's just so fun to watch you guys go to work. And then on top of that, when you guys have home games, I wish I'm on the floor every, because you guys get the stadium fucking rocking, man. You guys make sure that the, that the Cavs fans are in it, man. And I just love it, man. I can't wait to get back for a game, uh, in this playoffs, man.

• 8:25Speaker 05

Yes, sir. Yes, sir. And I, we, we appreciate that, man. If the, the crowd, man, is fucking. Unreal, bro. Like, you know, like, the game, I didn't play that game when y'all came.

• 8:35Speaker 03

I know. We gotta get back this year, just so we can see, my man, get out there.

• 8:38Speaker 05

It's just different. The city is different. The fans are different. I was here during one of the finals games in 2017, maybe, my first year I got drafted, and they really don't, nothing beats it. You got the whiteout jersey or the blackout shirt. It's like, you know, it's just, it's just different.

• 8:53Speaker 03

Who's, what's the announcer, Cleveland Heights? Yeah, yeah.

• 8:58Speaker 05

He been there. Before I got to the league, I was like, man, like, when I got traded here, I was like, man, like, I'm excited for that.

• 9:08Speaker 03

He gets it rocking. He gets it rocking.

• 9:09Speaker 05

He's, he's, every year, every, every game, he's, he's always good. He's good with it, for sure.

• 9:13Travis Kelce?

Crum's been doing it for a while, man. I actually played basketball with his little brother up at Heights, man, at, in high school, man, yeah. Funny, it's funny, I was all tied in, but, uh, we're recording this a little early, uh, so we don't know exactly who the Cavs are playing yet. Do you like the play-in format? You know what I mean? Cause I feel like it's almost like half of the league gets a chance to make the playoffs now. Instead of like, just the top eight teams in both conferences.

• 9:39Speaker 05

I think it's good from a viewing standpoint, from like an intensity standpoint, from a, you know, every game, like, you look at the last game, the Warriors Clippers, like, all eyes were on that game, like, you know what I'm saying? Like, so I think from that standpoint, it's phenomenal. As a one and two seed, not so much, cause we gotta wait till Friday to kind of figure out what we're doing, cause last year we were four, so we knew all week who we were playing. We knew we were playing Orlando. The year before that, we knew we were playing New York. But from a one and two seed, I wish we knew all week, we know who we're playing, but I think from a fan standpoint, it's definitely, like, that was a high intensity game, man, that Warriors Clippers game. Doing what he does.

• 10:18Speaker 05

Kawhi, James, the guys, you know, competing at a high level, so from a viewer's standpoint, it's awesome. So I think that's the cool part, but, you know, selfishly speaking, I wish we knew all week, for sure.

• 10:29Speaker 03

How much does it change up based on the opponent that you're gonna end up seeing? Like, for us, it's similar. You know, let's say somebody has the one seed locked up and you're waiting to see who's gonna win that first playoff game. You end up preparing a lot of times for both teams and seeing kind of the different structures of both of them, cause you're trying to, you, you're trying to get a, a, a, ahead of that, but. It changes up a lot in football. How much does it change up as somebody who I don't know nothing about strategy for basketball, to be honest with you. How much does it change up based on the opponent you're playing, what you guys are gonna do?

• 11:02Speaker 05

Yeah, I think, um, I don't think you plan right now. I think you kind of let the first game happen. I think you kind of narrowed down to two teams. I think you don't let it go to four. This is my second time doing this. The first time was in Utah, where we were the one seed, and we prepared for just two. I think we're doing something similar right now. I think you kind of let tonight's game happen. Um, and then you are cool, it's gonna be either Orlando or Atlanta. You narrow that down and wait till Wednesday that game happens. Then it's like, I bet, you know, you prepare for those two, um, those two teams and kind of just leave it at that. But it's kind of similar to what you're doing, but I don't think you prepare for all four because that's shaky.

• 11:43Travis Kelce?

The majority of our fan base is really football and all that. I know you were a multi-sport guy playing, I believe, baseball, right? You were a baseball, basketball guy? Heck, yeah, man. And you went to Louisville, the, the Mecca for, for baseball, really, the Louisville Slugger and everything. Um, did you, did you ever like think about playing baseball at Louisville?

• 12:04Speaker 05

Yeah, I mean, not at Louisville. Um, Coach Patino was enough.

• 12:10Travis Kelce?

Man, I had Patino, I had Patino making a run in my, uh, my bracket this year.

• 12:14Speaker 05

I do too, I'm not gonna lie. I had, I had them winning the whole thing, to be honest. That kind of, that kind of hurt me.

• 12:19Travis Kelce?

I had them going all the way.

• 12:20Speaker 05

I did, you know, but like I said, those Patino practices, dog, like, you didn't want to do shit else after that. I don't think I had much time, um, to do that. Our team, you know, that year I was there, we had two guys, I think, made the league, or three of three, you know, Corey Ray played for the Rays.

• 12:38Travis Kelce?

  Yep.

• 12:38Speaker 05

Uh, Will Smith, who just won the World Series, uh, for the Dodgers, he's a catcher.

• 12:42Travis Kelce?

  Wow.

• 12:43Speaker 05

Uh, Brandon McKay, um, he was there as well, starting pitcher. I forgot where he's at now, maybe Detroit. Josh Rogers was on the Yankees. Uh, we got a lot of guys who were really talented when I was there. Um, I'm definitely missing a bunch.

• 12:56Travis Kelce?

  Yeah.

• 12:56Speaker 05

Uh, so I wasn't that level. I wasn't that good at that point. You know, I took two years off, but, um, I definitely didn't want to play basketball. That was not my, not my joke, my route.

• 13:06Travis Kelce?

When, when did it really set in that that was what you wanted to do?

• 13:09Speaker 05

My 10th grade year, I broke my wrist and junior year, I was like, you know what? I just miss playing basketball like just as a kid, it's like, you know, you just want to hoop. Like, you know what I mean? And that's when I really started taking it seriously with my junior year of high school and um, that point on, you know.

• 13:25Travis Kelce?

  Just having it back, yeah.

• 13:27Speaker 03

Well, there's only one thing to do, you know, you gotta win three NBA championships in a row and then you just go start playing base- baseball.

• 13:34Travis Kelce?

That's how you do it right there.

• 13:35Speaker 03

What, what position did you play again?

• 13:38Speaker 05

Uh, pitcher and shortstop. I was nice, like I, I'm a humble person, but I was.

• 13:42Speaker 03

No, we know, we know the deal.

• 13:44Travis Kelce?

  Yeah.

• 13:44Speaker 05

Yeah, I won't take away anything from the guys who, you know, play baseball because it's the hardest shit to make the league anyway.

• 13:49Travis Kelce?

  Yeah.

• 13:49Speaker 05

But I felt like my chances, you know, were.

• 13:52Travis Kelce?

You were, you were looking left and right and you were seeing the guys that you were playing with and you see them in the league and you're just like, yeah, I probably could.

• 13:58Speaker 03

Yeah, if I would have dedicated myself.

• 14:01Speaker 05

You got, would have, you know, I think I would have had a shot for sure.

• 14:03Speaker 03

Anybody with the nickname Spider is going to be a damn good shortstop. I know that. All right.

• 14:08Travis Kelce?

There you go. That's a hell of a way to put it.

• 14:11Speaker 05

Yeah, the one thing I couldn't do was I couldn't play football.

• 14:13Travis Kelce?

  No?

• 14:13Speaker 03

  No?

• 14:14Travis Kelce?

Come on, man. I've seen you. You're one of the most athletic guys I've ever seen on, on the floor.

• 14:20Speaker 05

Yeah, everybody's like, I got the body forward, I got all that, but like, I can't take a hit for shit.

• 14:26Travis Kelce?

We'll keep it moving here. I was telling you, a lot of people listen to this that are football, uh, you know, uh, lovers, but um, in terms of the basketball storylines going into the NBA right now, we got the, the Lakers trade for Luca. They got, you know, all these, all these crazy Ja Morant celebrations, the, the Nuggets actually fired their coach right before the postseason started and even the Houston Rockets absolutely do a 180 from last year to this year, um, and are the two seed in the West and um, you know, Kawhi Leonard just, he's healthy for a playoff run. What are the, what are the craziest, like, what does it feel like being in this crazy melty pot of like the NBA storylines and, and you guys being the number one seed in the East?

• 15:08Speaker 05

Yeah, I mean, it means our league is in a good place. You know what I'm saying? Like, you know, at the end of the day, this is a sport, we, you know, like we play the sport for the sport, but it's also business too. Like, it's good for business. Like, you know what I mean? There's a lot going on. There's a lot of positive things going on in this league, a lot of talent in this league, you know what I mean? So I think that's, that's something that, you know. We truly appreciate, we enjoy, you know, waking up to seeing Luca's traded is crazy. That was, that was wild.

• 15:35Travis Kelce?

I mean, that's gotta be on the, on the team group chat right there.

• 15:38Speaker 03

Did you see Mark Cuban's facial expression when Luca drops? His like high, like of the season.

• 15:44Speaker 05

I know, I know Mark Cuban. Sure, man, I know he is, but it's just like, nobody's safe. Like, you know what I mean? Nobody's safe, y'all know it, and y'all, and y'all support, like, nobody's safe. And, you know, it's, I'm speechless still to this day. You know, we've been watching him go back, like, you know.

• 16:00Travis Kelce?

I think we all are. Their GM can't even do interviews with microphones or cameras right now. He's, he just feels like he's on such a hot seat that he has to do it a specific way. But who knows how that's gonna end up shaking out in the West? I know we got the best team in the East. I will say this, though, you, you mentioned, uh, you, we mentioned the Luca trading, going back and him dropping 45 on, on, in Dallas. How was it for you playing back in Utah? Because you started there, you had such an awesome start to your career there. When you came to Cleveland and went back there for the first time, how, how did that feel? Because me and Jason, we've only played on one team in the NFL. So I'm just curious, how did that feel going back into a place that you had called home?

• 16:44Speaker 05

Um, I was excited for that game, to be honest. I think just because, you know, the only other return, like, you know, the, the, the goat of return games, I guess you wanna call it, is Bron coming back here, right? Like, yeah, like, so like, for me, it was like, man, like, this is gonna be fun. At that time, I didn't know if I was gonna get booed, I didn't know if I was gonna get chewed. Like, it wasn't dead, so like, Luca was like, we knew they were gonna come chew. Like, I didn't really knew, I didn't really know what was gonna happen. So I told my teammates, like, look, I'm an unselfish guy. I know, I like to pass the ball and whatnot, but there's one game, I promise you, I'm gonna shoot every time I touch it. Back in Utah. It was fun. The reception was great, you know, and you just feel like you're playing at home for

• 17:27Speaker 05

real because you're used to the rims, you saw that, you know, the background, you see familiar faces and the people are great around the organization and whatnot. So it was, it was definitely one of those moments where it was great to go back and see everybody. Didn't know what to expect, but you know, had a lot of fun for sure.

• 17:45Speaker 03

Yeah, that's awesome. What's up with the John Moran celebration? Is that the finger guns thing again?

• 17:50Travis Kelce?

Oh, he took it up a level. He took it up a notch.

• 17:52Speaker 03

I gotta see it. What was, what's up a notch? It wasn't just like a pew pew? Wasn't like a little?

• 17:58Speaker 05

He done, he done, he done got the grenades now. Something like, I said this, the celebration is hard though. I'm not gonna lie. The celebration is hard. Like the whole, you know what I mean? The whole, all that.

• 18:09Speaker 03

I saw Dirk doing it in the suite. He was over here. He was, he's feeling it.

• 18:14Speaker 05

Like to me, I'm like, that's, that's dope. You got kids doing it now, but you know, I mean, I don't know. I, I, it's a lot. Like, you know, it's, it's, it's been a whole, it's been a whole thing, man. You know, my message is leave guns alone, kids. Everybody leave guns alone. You know, for the celebration, do what you do.

• 18:30Speaker 03

But I think in the cons, in the con, like the, the, sorry, not to go up, but in the, in the idea of like a basketball game, like shooting is more like I'm, I'm killing. Like I'm shooting the basketball. Like Pistol Pete is one of the most iconic NBA players of all. His name is a, is a gun, right?

• 18:46Speaker 05

It's context. Like, you know what I mean? It's just basketball. Like, you know what I mean? Like.

• 18:49Speaker 03

Nobody's saying, let's go play with guns outside. That's not what we're advocating for.

• 18:53Travis Kelce?

I feel you. All right. Now that does it for new news. Um, we did our homework though. Outside of the playoffs, we do want to ask you about, uh, an insane career milestone. You dropped 71 fucking points against the Bulls, man.

• 19:06Speaker 03

  So crazy.

• 19:07Travis Kelce?

What, is that the most, like in terms of high school, college? That, that's gotta be the most you've ever scored, right?

• 19:12Speaker 05

For sure. Yeah. The most by my fault.

• 19:14Travis Kelce?

And you did it at the highest level. That is insane, man. What does it feel like?

• 19:20Speaker 05

I tell people like, it didn't feel crazy until overtime. Like, because we were down 20. People don't understand. We were down 20 at halftime. I had, what, 16 points at halftime? I had 16 points at halftime.

• 19:34Speaker 03

Time out. You had 71 and 16 at half.

• 19:37Travis Kelce?

This is crazy. This is the craziest.

• 19:40Speaker 05

I was in a shooting slump about like a week and a half, two weeks before that. I mean, like, couldn't make a shot. And it was one of those times where, like, you know, like, were you supposed to catch a ball? And it's like, damn, you drop it. It's like, you're just going through one of the moments where it's just like, damn, it's not rolling. Like, it's just not going well right now. So like, that was the week and a half stretch it was for me. I'm getting good looks, not falling. And I never forget, and I don't, I don't know if I even told Brad Doherty this, who's right over here somewhere.

• 20:06Speaker 03

  There we go.

• 20:07Speaker 05

You know, I told him, like, he told me, he came, like, sat down, he was like, keep going, you know, and then he brought up MJ. I'm not saying that's what got me going, but like, it was very, he brought up MJ in a sense of like, just the way he competed. Or just comparing it to me in some, in some way, shape or form. And then after the game, I was like, like, holy shit. Like, you know what I mean? Like, I had my little, like, oh, yeah, my MJ moment. Like, you know what I mean?

• 20:29Travis Kelce?

Hell, yeah. You in the zone.

• 20:30Speaker 05

Throughout that process, throughout the game, it didn't feel crazy until I looked up and I saw like 68 or 69. I was like,

• 20:39Speaker 05

  this is fucking.

• 20:41Travis Kelce?

Oh, shit. That's what I'm doing right now?

• 20:42Speaker 05

Yeah. And I'm like smiling and I'm looking up like, and then my teammates like, oh, missed the free throw. Like, that was really when it really, really hit me what I was doing for real.

• 20:52Travis Kelce?

You're breaking the internet, man. You had social media going nuts.

• 20:56Speaker 03

The closest thing I've ever felt to that was beer pong. He just locked in. And I'm just draining them. It's like, yeah, next on the table. You like slap the water off of it, the beer off of it, and you're freaking rolling.

• 21:07Travis Kelce?

If somebody's walking to the door, you're bouncing it on them.

• 21:09Speaker 03

Yeah. Oh, yeah. It's just everything's going in. But God, I'm the fucking man. That's gotta be insane on an NBA court.

• 21:17Speaker 05

What's a good feeling on beer pong?

• 21:20Speaker 05

  Real feeling.

• 21:22Travis Kelce?

Oh man, what would be the equivalent in the NFL to 71 points? I'm asking both of you guys that. What do you think it would be? I mean, the Randy Moss stat.

• 21:31Speaker 05

It's gotta be the touchdown record, no?

• 21:33Speaker 03

I would say either touchdown rushing rushing yards in a game or touchdown. I think if you if you get over like 230 on the ground in a game, I feel like that's a that's a milestone.

• 21:43Travis Kelce?

I think Randy had like three catches for over like 150 or like 200 yards or something like that. Didn't he have that like it was like three touchdowns, three catches for like 180 yard? Do something stupid like that.

• 21:57Speaker 05

What about the touchdown record for quarterback? Like what if the like seven touchdowns?

• 22:01Travis Kelce?

  Nick Foles.

• 22:02Speaker 03

  Nick Foles, I knew that.

• 22:04Travis Kelce?

Jason was snapping him the ball the whole game.

• 22:06Speaker 03

He had six in a game. We installed a brand new like set of passing plays with Chip Kelly's offense and the Raiders had no fucking idea what we were doing. The Sean Jackson's running all over the place. It was unbelievable. It was so fun.

• 22:18Speaker 05

Yeah, I feel like that's definitely rushing rushing yards for sure.

• 22:21Speaker 03

What's the single game rushing record? I don't even know.

• 22:24Travis Kelce?

I think I saw Jamal Lewis break it as a Cleveland Brown.

• 22:26Speaker 05

  Really?

• 22:27Speaker 03

  I think you're right.

• 22:28Travis Kelce?

Jamal Lewis, I think it went for like three something.

• 22:30Speaker 03

It might have got broken since then, but Travis is right. When Jamal was in Cleveland, I think he did said it. Our, our, our, uh, this is why we pay these guys.

• 22:37Travis Kelce?

  Adrian Peterson.

• 22:39Speaker 03

  296.

• 22:40Travis Kelce?

No way. That is not it.

• 22:41Speaker 03

  One game. That's amazing.

• 22:43Travis Kelce?

We mentioned you went to Louisville. Um, at the same time as Lamar Jackson, you guys were like the football and basketball like icons at that point in the in college sports. Um, how was it? Did you guys, did you always go to the football games when you could? I mean, seeing that man live in college was probably fucking unreal.

• 23:03Speaker 05

Right. It was crazy because like you watched the progression, you know, like he came in, he backed somebody up freshman year.

• 23:10Speaker 03

  Yeah.

• 23:11Speaker 05

No, excuse me. He was third string. I think, um, shout out to Reggie, he's at Louisville now, Reggie Bonafon, he was there. He got hurt, then the backup to him got hurt and then he played.

• 23:22Speaker 05

Threw an interception, didn't look like running around, didn't really look, you know, like he had it all together. Trying to figure it out. You know, freshman year, like you know, try to figure it out.

• 23:30Speaker 03

  Yeah.

• 23:31Speaker 05

And then that next season, man, it was just like. I don't know what clicked, but you see it now in the field like he's, he's, he's a pro. He goes about it like, you know, he's proving his throwing, he's making his reads, you know, different things. He's when to run, when to pass. And I don't know if it was that year you won the Ivan or the year after, you just watching like, what do you call it? Showtime Legacy, you just watching Showtime. You watching, we won Florida State out by forty. Like, you know what I'm saying? Jumping over people against Syracuse. Um, but yeah, it was his, it was his school. Like, it wasn't like Louisville was a basketball town.

• 24:03Travis Kelce?

  Oh, yeah.

• 24:03Speaker 05

But those years, it was like, it was him. Like, even though, but seeing it was there, we were doing, it was him. Like, it was, it was one of the craziest things I've ever seen. Everybody was hyped. Every, every game, every game was lit. Like, it was, um, to see what he's doing now, I'm not shocked. Like, you know what I mean? He just, you just saw it. Um, and then we used to hoop too. That's why people don't know. We used to hoop.

• 24:21Travis Kelce?

  He could hoop a little?

• 24:22Speaker 05

He's nice. Like, he got balance and he could really, he could really hoop. So.

• 24:26Travis Kelce?

  Okay.

• 24:28Speaker 05

It was crazy. We would have dunk contests and different things. And, um, he was definitely, um, one of the most athletic guys I've ever seen.

• 24:35Speaker 03

What's he doing dunk contests? He going in between the legs, three sixty?

• 24:39Speaker 05

A few windmills. Um, we had some guys on that team too, who, who made the league. I don't know if you know John Grenard, who was on the Texans?

• 24:46Speaker 03

  Oh, yeah. Absolutely.

• 24:47Speaker 05

Yeah, he was on that team. Um, I'm missing names, but there's a bunch of guys. We had a talented team, a talented group. But, yeah, he was obviously, you know, the lead, uh, for sure.

• 24:58Speaker 03

He's another level, man. I, I still, even I tell the story a lot, you know, we're, we're in a tag off period in the practice and he gives a juke move to a linebacker, makes this dude fall down, not even trying to tackle him, just trying to touch him. Like, they're playing tag, basically. And my man falling all over the place. And both sidelines. Like, that's how you know when you're good. You're at a joint practice and both sidelines are like that.

• 25:27Speaker 05

Yeah, he's, he's different. I could, I've always wanted, I saw him play when he played out here. Um, Cleveland fans did not like that I wore his jersey. Didn't realize that that was a, you know.

• 25:36Travis Kelce?

Personal connection. They gotta respect it.

• 25:38Speaker 05

Didn't realize that that was a big thing, but they, I think they got it. But, um, he's, watching him play live and obviously I play against him, but.

• 25:45Speaker 03

  Yeah.

• 25:46Speaker 05

I was pissed when y'all beat him, Trev. I ain't gonna lie to you.

• 25:49Travis Kelce?

That dude is a stud, man. It takes, it takes all 11 on the field to tackle that man or try and stop that guy. He's there. Then every time we play him, it's always an instant classic. It's always, literally, he's doing something crazy. Every single game we played him and we've gone back and forth, man. That was the ACC at that point, right? You guys were in the ACC?

• 26:10Speaker 05

  Yeah, we're still in.

• 26:12Travis Kelce?

When we, when me and Jason were in college, Louisville was still in the Big East. So I wasn't, I wasn't sure if you. Yeah, back in the day, man, back when the Big East, Madison Square Garden, man.

• 26:24Speaker 03

Especially for basketball, man. It was never a football conference, but that basketball conference was so awesome.

• 26:29Speaker 05

That basketball, like the Syracuse, y'all, Louisville, Georgetown.

• 26:35Speaker 03

Did you ever go to the Big East tourney up in New York?

• 26:37Speaker 05

I went to, I want to say one time maybe, one time, but that was, that was really it.

• 26:43Speaker 03

Who was your team growing up?

• 26:44Travis Kelce?

I was gonna say. Yeah. And once you, once you knew basketball was your Carolina.

• 26:50Speaker 05

When I, when I was getting, even before that, like Michael Jordan, Carolina, like I was, until I committed to Louisville.

• 26:56Travis Kelce?

  Yeah.

• 26:57Speaker 05

I was waiting until I got an offer. I was putting schools to the side. I was like, no, if I get an offer from Carolina, I'm going. I don't care if I sit. I don't care if I play. I don't care if I walk on. I'm going to Carolina. This is what I'm doing. And then I visited Louisville and I was like, well, fuck all that.

• 27:17Speaker 05

Um, but no, that was, Carolina was the school.

• 27:22Travis Kelce?

It's funny. We had the same dream, man, except for I only got an offer from the MAC in basketball. Shout out to the MAC though. MAC's an all day.

• 27:30Speaker 05

Well, despite though, that's not, that's too, too sporty.

• 27:32Travis Kelce?

  There you go.

• 27:33Speaker 03

Well, he, he could have played at Cincinnati if you wouldn't have got hurt. That was kind of in the running.

• 27:39Travis Kelce?

There was, I think there was a lot of stuff that was, that was, I don't know, needed to get ironed out for me to play on the basketball team. One was me going to class. I had to actually go to class if I wanted to play on the basketball team.

• 27:49Speaker 03

Didn't West Virginia come in late too with Bob Huggins?

• 27:53Travis Kelce?

Listen, Huggs, Huggs came in. There was a chance for me to be on the team and then earn a scholarship, I think.

• 27:58Speaker 03

  Right.

• 27:58Travis Kelce?

Um, but that, that whole situation was weird because Huggs had just got there and all that is whatever. But that's cool though, man. So do you never, you never got the call from Carolina?

• 28:06Speaker 05

  Never got the call.

• 28:08Travis Kelce?

  They're kicking themselves.

• 28:09Speaker 05

Coolest thing, the coolest thing that I, in college, we played at Carolina. We lost. I had. One of my career highs at the moment at that time and Roy Williams said, man, I made a mistake in the handshake line.

• 28:22Travis Kelce?

  That's respect.

• 28:23Speaker 05

When he told me that, I was like, you know what? That was fun. At that time, that was the coolest thing to me. I didn't really care. I was like, I like, I may not be there.

• 28:31Travis Kelce?

I got the respect. That's awesome, man.

• 28:33Speaker 05

You got the respect and he told me that and I was like, I like, you know, especially for like, you know, you want to go somewhere, you hear that? That's, that's the ultimate, that's the ultimate respect.

• 28:42Speaker 03

We were talking a little bit about Cleveland being upset with you for wearing the Lamar jersey. Uh, we got to talk a little bit about you attending the decision in person.

• 28:50Travis Kelce?

  Yeah, how about that?

• 28:52Speaker 03

The most controversial, like, thing in Cleveland history, to be honest with you.

• 28:56Travis Kelce?

  No, not anymore.

• 28:57Speaker 03

  I remember when this happened.

• 28:58Travis Kelce?

Not anymore, cause he brought it back.

• 28:59Speaker 03

It's all been forgiven. It's all been forgiven, but at the time it was insane.

• 29:04Speaker 05

Yeah. Um, so I went to, I lived in New York. I went to school in Greenwich, Connecticut and everyone was just like, yo, like, Brown's doing the decision at the Boys and Girls Club. I'm like, here?

• 29:18Speaker 05

Like, why, why is he like, you know what I mean? Didn't believe it. And then this time I'm a, I'm a Nick fan, but like, I love Brown, but I'm a Nick fan. Like if I had to choose a team, I'm a Nick fan, right?

• 29:27Travis Kelce?

And New York was in the running for it.

• 29:29Speaker 05

Right. So at that time, they, they were in the running. I'm like, mom, it was like one of those things, you know, you get dropped up at the mall to hang out with friends. You get like, ma, you gotta drop me off here. I'm going. So we go, um, there is, I don't, maybe drag, maybe dramatic when I say, there's probably like a 2,000 people outside. At this place.

• 29:48Travis Kelce?

  That's crazy.

• 29:49Speaker 05

And we have no idea where he's coming in from. Um, and I never forget, we see a car come down the hill. It's like a regular car, like a white Nissan. Like he tried to blend in.

• 30:02Speaker 03

  Smart, smart.

• 30:02Speaker 05

In the back. I wasn't inside. People think I was inside. People try to point out that I was one of the kids. I wasn't me. I wasn't inside. I was outside.

• 30:11Speaker 05

And when he said, I was probably the only person that wanted him to go to Miami. Um, to join in the crowd, in the crowd. I was like, probably the only person. Everybody else is Knicks fans.

• 30:20Speaker 03

  Okay, got you. Okay.

• 30:21Speaker 05

So I'm like, all right, like I would do anyway, Chris Bosh, I'm hyped. Um, so once he decides it, it was like a riot. Like I tell you, the, the level like was not safe for any children to be outside.

• 30:34Speaker 05

  They're throwing bottles.

• 30:35Travis Kelce?

You're gonna, you're gonna do this in the New York Boys and Girls Club and say you're going down south?

• 30:42Speaker 05

Right. Like that was, I, I, I was in danger. Like I was like, all right, I need to figure out how to get out of here. Cause people were purely pissed off. Like people were like trying to get to the, get to where he entered from and all that, but I'm hyped. I'm screaming like Miami, like, yeah, you know, all those different things, but, um, it was cool, man. It was, it was a cool experience. Full circle moment. I'm here now. Like, you know what I mean? Like this is one of those life moments that is just like, you can't script these things. You know what I'm saying? And, um, I hope Cleveland fans are okay with me saying I want him to go to Miami. I did, I'm sorry. But you know, it was, it's a, it's one of those things, man. It's just really cool to really be here now. And you know, kind of do our own legacy in that regard as well. I think it's pretty dope.

• 31:23Travis Kelce?

  And you're doing it, man.

• 31:24Speaker 03

You know, Cleveland, I said, at the time, it was crazy. I mean, it was another level of like people mad and like hatred.

• 31:32Speaker 05

  Yeah.

• 31:33Speaker 03

But it, like Travis said, it's all been, you know, water under the bridge at this point. He ended up coming back and ended up being awesome for LeBron's career. Like what ended up transpiring ended up being great for everybody involved. Cleveland still got their championship.

• 31:46Travis Kelce?

Except for the Knicks. The Knicks didn't get there.

  I love a water park.

• 33:18Travis Kelce?

But the crazy one, Crowns Edge, a ropes course off the side of the ship. Not for the faint of heart, brother.

• 33:26Speaker 03

They've also got Playmaker Sports Bar and Arcade, so that means games on every screen. I love a good arcade sports place combination.

On offense, it's important to prevent problems from the moment the ball is snapped.

• 33:55Travis Kelce?

That's true. Otherwise, you're just out there running cardio. Can't get open for a big play.

• 34:02Speaker 03

But it's not just football. There's a lot of things you need to prevent before they start.

• 34:06Travis Kelce?

  Yeah, like in your mouth.

• 34:08Speaker 03

  My mouth specifically?

• 34:09Travis Kelce?

I mean, probably yours too, but I'm talking everybody's mouth. There's bacteria in there that can lead to oral health problems like cavities, gingivitis.

• 34:21Speaker 03

Right, yeah, all the nasty stuff. But the good news is you can prevent these problems before they start with Colgate Total Active Prevention. It's like having a good offensive line for your mouth.

• 34:32Travis Kelce?

Ooh, exactly. With twice daily brushing, Colgate Total prevents oral health problems like cavities and gingivitis.

• 34:39Speaker 03

And it's not just one contributing player either. It's a whole system. Toothpaste, mouthwash, and a special toothbrush.

• 34:47Travis Kelce?

Now that's the squad you want fighting for your mouth.

• 34:50Speaker 03

Colgate Total is like having a full playbook in your bathroom, working to help prevent oral health problems before they start.

• 34:57Travis Kelce?

Get Colgate Total on Amazon today. Let's talk a little bit of Cleveland, baby. What was your, what was your first impression of the land, man? Did you know anything about Cleveland before coming to it?

• 35:09Speaker 05

Not a damn thing, man, to be honest. I never left the hotel, but that's me in general. I don't leave the hotel. So all I saw from that Ritz was, what's the area where they're building a new practice facility now?

• 35:23Travis Kelce?

Oh, the water. Yeah, right there on.

• 35:24Speaker 05

Yes, all I saw, not the water. It's, um, where all the, what is it? Tower City. Tower City? Right, yeah, yeah.

• 35:30Travis Kelce?

Oh, you're just talking about the, yeah, Tower City and everything. I'll tell you what, Tower City can, it could be a fucking scene.

• 35:36Speaker 05

Exactly. So I like, that's all I saw. So I'm thinking, okay, that's, that's, that's what they got. And then they got the Guardians and the Browns and you know, that's it.

• 35:42Speaker 03

  Yeah.

• 35:42Speaker 05

Man, when I come here, I moved to the west side and just being around like the energy that is in this place for real, like the people, they're cool. They leave, they rock with you. They leave you alone, like they let you be. There's so much more here than I thought, to be honest, like from the food standpoint. Playhouse Square is dope.

• 36:05Speaker 05

I'm, I don't want to give away all the locations I'll be going to, but like the Beeswood Mall is probably far. I'll be there a bunch.

• 36:10Speaker 03

  You got a beachfront.

• 36:11Travis Kelce?

  Shout out.

• 36:12Speaker 03

The east side right there. You coming over to the east side?

• 36:14Travis Kelce?

  Oh, yeah.

• 36:15Speaker 03

  All right, yeah.

• 36:15Speaker 05

I took the long drive. I took the long drive over there. Please don't come follow me over there on a random Tuesday. My hoodie up. Then I go to a lot of, I actually, I go to a lot of like high school games, like, like try to, you know, show love and community in that regard. I think it's, it's cool, but you know, I don't really, you know, I don't be outside. I don't really do too much. I'm really just a home. Body and you know, so for me, this place is this perfect for me.

• 36:36Travis Kelce?

You said Playhouse Square. You going up there seeing some ballets or some plays?

• 36:40Speaker 05

Yeah. So now it was on, I went to see um Alicia Keys's show.

• 36:45Travis Kelce?

  Oh, nice, nice.

• 36:46Speaker 05

In New York. So then I ended up, you know, we we ended up doing something to get together again here in Cleveland. Um, and then we have, we have team events there and whatnot. And just seeing it all lit up at night is, is, is, is pretty fun.

• 36:58Travis Kelce?

  It's magical, man.

• 36:59Speaker 05

The food scene is really good. I, I really enjoy eating downtown. Um, got a few spots. I got a shout out to my, my favorite spot. I can't eat there much. I gotta stay in shape. It's um Zanzibar.

• 37:10Travis Kelce?

  Oh, yeah.

• 37:11Speaker 03

Zanzibar. I gotta check this out.

• 37:12Speaker 05

  Right by the arena.

• 37:13Travis Kelce?

  Yeah.

• 37:13Speaker 03

Right by? So it's over uh what like what what six or?

• 37:16Speaker 05

See now you, now you get, I don't know the street.

• 37:18Travis Kelce?

Jason doesn't know either. Don't let him fucking fool you.

• 37:21Speaker 03

Don't let me fuck with you. I was in Cleveland Heights all growing up. I barely ever went downtown.

• 37:25Travis Kelce?

Yeah, exactly. Why do you think Cleveland gets a bad rap?

• 37:28Speaker 05

I think because people only go downtown and they see, they see what I saw, which was not Tower City. I'm thinking of all the construction area. I don't know the mining. I don't know what it's called.

• 37:37Travis Kelce?

I know what you're talking about, like the outside of it. Yeah.

• 37:40Speaker 05

Right there. So they see that and they think that that just represents the entire city of Cleveland, which is not the case. And it also is cold. And some people just don't like the cold. I like the cold.

• 37:48Travis Kelce?

  There we go.

• 37:49Speaker 05

I prefer it to be cold than it, you know what I mean?

• 37:51Travis Kelce?

I'm right there with you, man.

• 37:52Speaker 03

I think you hit the nail on the head. It's like Cleveland isn't like a big downtown city. It's just not. Like a lot of the, a lot of what happens, happens on like the outskirts. And unless you know where you're going, it's hard to kind of like, it doesn't have like that thriving area like a lot of other places do. Uh, that like tourists like, but once you know people and like you know spots like it's great people, it's very community driven. There's like a personal connection that the city has that I think is charming. It's just hard for tourists to feel that. You pretty much are saying that exact same thing.

• 38:26Speaker 05

They make you feel, you feel the love too. That's my thing. Like you feel the genuine love like is especially from a, and then you feel it in the arena, but that's natural. Anywhere you play, you feel the energy in the arena. When you leave, you feel like, like you're one of them. Like, you know, you feel like, you know, you feel that. And I think that's something that is really under. Especially in our, in our profession because you know, we're professionals like this is business like you're not college isn't high school like you know what I'm saying but like the love you feel um from the community is top tier you know what I mean I think it's some that really drove me to stay I keep telling people that and people didn't believe me until I resigned man I kept trying to tell everybody.

• 39:01Travis Kelce?

Because you just don't see that out of, out of, uh, out of all the superstars, man. And, and as a Cleveland kid myself, man, thank you for coming back again, bro. The tourist destinations, have you been to the Rock and Roll Hall of Fame?

• 39:14Speaker 05

You know what's crazy? I've never been. I've never been.

• 39:18Travis Kelce?

You have more fun. Yeah, I'll tell you, it's fun to go to, man. It is, it is shocking. It's all the, all the, all the memorabilia they have in there. Um, all the experiences. That's, it's pretty dope.

• 39:28Speaker 03

That one's good. The science museum's good.

• 39:30Travis Kelce?

Dog. I'm a nerd, so I love that type of shit. It's right next door. It's right next door. Yeah, it's right next door. It's, it's in between, uh, the football stadium and, uh, the rock and roll.

• 39:42Speaker 05

Oh, that's that gray building that's like they got the little, okay, I know what you're talking about. Okay, I didn't know that.

• 39:47Travis Kelce?

Yeah, that's, it's right there. I used to go there. Used to sign up every year for that, uh, field trip, baby.

• 39:53Speaker 03

Have you been Cedar Point or, uh, I guess now it's Six Flags, right?

• 39:57Speaker 05

I gotta go. That's the one thing I really, I really wanna do that. I really wanna do that.

• 40:01Travis Kelce?

Cedar Point's the best in the world, man. I'm telling you, you gotta do it.

• 40:05Speaker 05

I gotta, that's the one I really, I really gotta do, but also like.

• 40:08Speaker 03

  Roller coasters?

• 40:09Speaker 05

No. But I gotta do, I, I'm afraid, I'm afraid, I'm afraid, but I, I'll do it because I really wanna go and everybody keep talking about it, everybody, but like, I, I'm afraid, I'm afraid of falling, let alone roller coasters.

• 40:23Speaker 03

We gotta get you on Millennium Force.

• 40:24Travis Kelce?

Do not go on Millennium Force.

• 40:27Speaker 03

He said, I'm afraid. I can't wait to sit next to you on Millennium Force. We're going.

• 40:31Speaker 05

I can't do it. I'll tell you, I'll go, I'll observe and I'll just go, you know, be supportive to my friends wherever I want to go.

• 40:37Speaker 03

I'll be chilling on the bench with the Dippin' Dons.

• 40:39Speaker 05

Exactly. That's exactly what I've been doing. Exactly.

• 40:42Travis Kelce?

So when we were growing up, there were the, uh, Cleveland Rockets. Uh, there was a WNBA team in Cleveland. You said you would love to see the WNBA team return to Cleveland. Um, have you heard any updates about this? Any murmurs throughout the, uh, the facilities or anything like that? Can you give us a little insight if we could actually get a WNBA team back in Cleveland?

• 41:03Speaker 05

Uh, I won't give too much. Um, I've heard, you know, different things, but I won't say what I've heard. You know what I mean? Obviously no more than probably what you guys have heard, to be honest.

• 41:13Travis Kelce?

  Yeah.

• 41:13Speaker 05

Um, but you know, I think it'd be dope. You know, I mean, I, I love to watch, uh, the W in general. First of all, they're in a phenomenal place and they're only going to continue to get bigger and bigger and better. Um, I think Cleveland is the perfect place for it. Just like I said, everything I just said to you about the community, the vibe, the support, the love.

• 41:31Travis Kelce?

  Oh, yeah.

• 41:32Speaker 05

You know, I think this is, you know, a perfect place for it. And on top of that, the season's in the summer. I mean, this is, this is in the summer, man, is elite. Like we need more teams in the league for sure. Um, and you know, Cleveland's the perfect place.

• 41:45Travis Kelce?

I'm with you on that. Um, all right. You want to get to some blind rankings?

• 41:49Speaker 05

Blind rankings. Let's do it. Let's do it.

• 41:51Travis Kelce?

Let's do it, man. Something we like to do on this, uh, show is, uh, something called blind rankings. We show you 10 things and we rank them one to 10 without knowing what's coming next. I'm sure you've played before. Do we want to do dunk contests or do we want to do NBA throwback jerseys? I'll let you pick.

• 42:06Speaker 05

  We do throwback jerseys.

• 42:07Travis Kelce?

Throwback jerseys. All right. Let's do some throwback jerseys.

• 42:09Speaker 03

We're doing blind ranking, one to 10.

• 42:11Travis Kelce?

Hit us with the first one, Brandon.

• 42:12Speaker 03

Oh, Orlando Magic from the Penny Hardaway and Shaquille O'Neal era. These jerseys are awesome.

• 42:19Travis Kelce?

  Classics.

• 42:20Speaker 05

I'm gonna go, I'm gonna go, and I'm gonna go 10. I'm not gonna lie.

• 42:23Travis Kelce?

You're gonna go 10? The pinstripe?

• 42:26Speaker 03

I do think there's gonna be a lot above this.

• 42:28Speaker 05

I do agree. That's why I'm gonna go 10. Cause I don't want to put, yeah, I feel like this is 10.

• 42:31Travis Kelce?

I'll ask you this. What do you think's better? The all black ones or like the Tracy McGrady blue?

• 42:36Speaker 05

The ones with the little blue. Little blue is hard. The shorts, the knees go crazier than the top. I will say that.

• 42:42Travis Kelce?

  The stars on the side.

• 42:43Speaker 05

Yeah. The shorts go crazy in the top.

• 42:45Travis Kelce?

All right. Starting off with 10.

• 42:46Speaker 03

Sorry, Shaq. Ooh, the Miami Heat retro.

• 42:49Travis Kelce?

  That's clean. It's just a clean jersey.

• 42:51Speaker 05

Uh, see, here's the thing. The problem with some of them.

• 42:53Speaker 03

Still not one of my favorites. I'm not gonna lie.

• 42:55Speaker 05

The bottoms are better than the top. That's that, you know what I mean?

• 42:58Travis Kelce?

No, we're doing the whole, it's a whole outfit. We're ranking, we're definitely ranking the whole outfit.

• 43:01Speaker 05

I'm gonna go nine. I'm gonna go nine.

• 43:03Speaker 03

  Man, we are, we are.

• 43:04Travis Kelce?

We're keep, we're hoping right now that we get some.

• 43:08Speaker 03

Please, we're going more throwback than I thought maybe here. Okay, let's go. What do we got next, Brendan?

• 43:13Travis Kelce?

  Yeah.

• 43:15Speaker 03

  Now we're talking.

• 43:16Speaker 05

To me, as top three, easy.

• 43:19Travis Kelce?

Man, I'm trying to think what, oh man, with the mountains in the background. Again, the shorts are.

• 43:24Speaker 05

The shorts are elite. The shorts are elite.

• 43:27Travis Kelce?

Utah Jazz from the nineties. And the thing is, if it's a nineties jersey, I'm probably gonna be biased towards that jersey for whatever reason, man. I just.

• 43:36Speaker 03

Well, nineties had some good color schemes. And the only thing I don't like about this is that jazz has nothing to do with mountains. When I think of jazz, I don't think of mountains. I think of New Orleans or something like that. I don't think about.

• 43:47Travis Kelce?

I don't know, Jason. Have you ever listened to some jazz up in the Rockies?

• 43:51Speaker 03

I have not. I have not.

• 43:53Travis Kelce?

  There you go.

• 43:54Speaker 03

But, but these are dope. I love this color scheme.

• 43:56Travis Kelce?

Do you want to throw it at three?

• 43:57Speaker 05

  I'll two.

• 43:57Travis Kelce?

All right, let's go two. I'm with it. I'm with it. That's a solid two right there.

• 44:04Speaker 03

These ones, hey, these Raptors. Oh my gosh, they're good.

• 44:07Travis Kelce?

Fuck, man. That's a good one, dog. Does it get better than that?

• 44:10Speaker 03

This one might be one of my all time favorite hats.

• 44:12Speaker 05

I'm hoping the Grizzly jersey I'm thinking of is the one.

• 44:14Travis Kelce?

I'm hoping that's the one. Alright, so we want to go three with this one? Cause these Raptors jerseys were fucking.

• 44:19Speaker 05

  I go three.

• 44:20Travis Kelce?

  Unbelievable, man.

• 44:22Speaker 05

  Three should be two.

• 44:23Travis Kelce?

  I hear you.

• 44:25Speaker 03

Do we want to switch it? I guess we can't now.

• 44:28Travis Kelce?

It's the point of the game, Jason.

• 44:29Speaker 03

Damn it. Alright, Philly, third up your Sixers, Iverson era.

• 44:33Travis Kelce?

Not, I don't think it's even their, their best jersey, but.

• 44:36Speaker 05

I don't think so either. I'm gonna go seven.

• 44:37Travis Kelce?

Yeah, I'll go seven. I'll go seven.

• 44:39Speaker 03

It's just cause it was AI.

• 44:41Speaker 05

Honestly, it's really cause he's wearing the jersey, to be honest.

• 44:44Travis Kelce?

It's just that number three with his name.

• 44:46Speaker 03

Anybody else in that jersey is like, oh, that's one of them. We can jersey up see.

• 44:52Travis Kelce?

Oh, a throwback Nets jersey right there.

• 44:56Speaker 03

So is this, is this, which Nets is this?

• 44:58Travis Kelce?

  That's a great question.

• 45:00Speaker 03

So now it's obviously Brooklyn, but is this?

• 45:02Speaker 05

  ABA, ABA.

• 45:03Speaker 03

ABA? Okay, these are really cool.

• 45:05Speaker 05

  That's New Jersey still?

• 45:06Speaker 03

  Is that still Jersey?

• 45:07Travis Kelce?

  That's a good question. I wouldn't even know.

• 45:09Speaker 05

  Jersey. That is Jersey.

• 45:11Travis Kelce?

  There you go.

• 45:11Speaker 05

I'm gonna go, um, we got ten, nine, eight, I'm gonna go five. I really like these. I like the red, white and blue. So I'm gonna go five.

• 45:19Speaker 03

There's something nice about it being clean. The colors worked well. The design is, is unique. I like it.

• 45:26Travis Kelce?

On top of that is Dr. J, baby.

• 45:28Speaker 05

As I said, it's not the person who wearing it, you know what I mean?

• 45:30Speaker 03

That Afro gives it at least two bumps up. You know what I mean?

• 45:36Travis Kelce?

The thing was aerodynamic, man. That shit was crazy.

• 45:39Speaker 03

  All right, here we go.

• 45:42Travis Kelce?

And my dog Ron Harper in the building.

• 45:45Speaker 05

I'm gonna go, the socks are crazy.

• 45:48Travis Kelce?

Socks into the, are those the Reebok pumps?

• 45:51Speaker 03

  Bro, the socks.

• 45:51Travis Kelce?

No, no, no, those are nice, those are nice.

• 45:53Speaker 03

They look like the Jazzercise in socks.

• 45:57Travis Kelce?

Don't do my guy Harper like that, man.

• 45:59Speaker 05

The socks are crazy. I'm gonna go, I'm a, I don't know any other jersey besides the, I'm gonna go four. I'm gonna go four here.

• 46:08Travis Kelce?

Keep it up there, yeah. Actually think I have the Brad Doherty version of this jersey.

• 46:13Speaker 03

  You do, for sure.

• 46:14Speaker 05

I don't even think these are the best ones, to be honest.

• 46:16Travis Kelce?

No, my favorite ones are like the Sean Kemp and, and Bobby Surra era.

• 46:21Speaker 03

The black and blue is, is the best Cavs jersey, in my opinion.

• 46:25Travis Kelce?

  The paint splash.

• 46:26Speaker 05

I like the one with the little, the, the.

• 46:29Travis Kelce?

The paint, the paint like swipe, like the paintbrush like, yeah, the splash jersey is what they call it, I believe.

• 46:35Speaker 05

No, the, the, the main color is yellow or whatever, yellow or, um, maroon.

• 46:40Speaker 03

Oh, I know what you're talking about, yeah.

• 46:43Speaker 05

  Like that on the side.

• 46:45Travis Kelce?

We're talking about a completely different jersey. Those are fire too. I'll tell you, I think those are the Austin Car joints.

• 46:50Speaker 05

Yeah, the ACs, yeah, the AC, shout out to AC. They got it on right here.

• 46:56Speaker 05

Yeah, they got it on, they got it on top, they got it on top.

• 46:58Travis Kelce?

  Those are classics.

• 46:59Speaker 05

If you haven't noticed, we got the Cleveland wall back.

• 47:01Travis Kelce?

  Oh, yeah.

• 47:01Speaker 03

  Yeah, baby.

• 47:02Travis Kelce?

Get some history right there, man.

• 47:03Speaker 03

All right, so we got Cavs at four. What are we going with next? Ooh, the Detroit Pistons. These ones are actually freaking sneaky.

• 47:10Travis Kelce?

Shout out to Brad Hill, man. I actually have this jersey myself. I, I love this jersey, man. This thing is fire. Old school Pistons.

• 47:18Speaker 05

That should have been, sorry, sorry, that should have been four, I'm sorry.

• 47:22Travis Kelce?

I think everybody would have told you that regardless. Yeah, we gotta go six.

• 47:27Speaker 03

If it's a bad Memphis jersey, throwback.

• 47:31Travis Kelce?

Memphis isn't even gonna be in here, man. Fuck!

• 47:34Speaker 03

Oh dude, you can't not put that jersey in here.

• 47:37Travis Kelce?

  I don't think it's up to us. I don't think it's up to.

• 47:39Speaker 03

  Oh, I forgot about these.

• 47:43Travis Kelce?

  Ah, the Wolves.

• 47:45Speaker 05

What numbers do we have left?

• 47:46Travis Kelce?

  Eight and one.

• 47:47Speaker 03

It's not good. It's not good. It's gonna be way lower than it should be. These Timberwolves jerseys were sick.

• 47:52Speaker 05

  So we go eight?

• 47:53Travis Kelce?

We gotta go eight in hopes that, come on, man, don't disappoint us.

• 47:57Speaker 03

Bro, it's gonna be like a Bulls jersey or something.

• 47:59Travis Kelce?

  Don't disappoint us. Yeah.

• 48:06Speaker 03

  Yeah.

• 48:08Travis Kelce?

Again, with the shorts, though, the 90s shorts.

• 48:10Speaker 05

That's what I'm saying. A lot of these jerseys are hard, but the shorts be, like, the shorts I still wear to this day. Like, you know what I mean?

• 48:16Travis Kelce?

I go on Michelin's and get the old school shorts.

• 48:18Speaker 03

What is it about these jerseys that just like go, like, it makes it so awesome? Like, everybody loves this jersey. Is it the color? Is it the way the Grizzlies is written out? Is it the bear?

• 48:29Travis Kelce?

The outline, the pattern on the outline.

• 48:31Speaker 05

The outline of the jersey, the, the way Grizzlies is typed, the Vancouver small, you got the Grizzly, the big ass Grizzly on the side.

• 48:37Travis Kelce?

It's coming out of the, yeah, 3D. Shout out to Mike Bibby.

• 48:40Speaker 05

  Shout out to Mike Bibby.

• 48:41Speaker 03

  There we go.

• 48:41Travis Kelce?

We did, that was a solid one.

• 48:44Speaker 03

I'm not that mad about it.

• 48:45Speaker 05

  Not bad.

• 48:45Travis Kelce?

You know, move around a few of them, but overall, we, uh, we got it done. All right. Let's get to our last segment here. It's, uh, called We Gotta Ask. That is, uh, we always end our segments with, uh, we gotta ask, but you don't have to answer. So you can either answer or tell us to fuck off. Donovan, we'll just roll through a few of these. Does a, what? Does a basketball? Oh, Jason's so fucked. Yeah, this is so silly. Hey, do we, we, we've been back and forth on this. Does a basketball hoop have one hole or two holes?

• 49:19Speaker 05

  One.

• 49:19Speaker 03

  Yeah, that's the correct answer.

• 49:21Speaker 05

  Right? Yeah, one.

• 49:22Travis Kelce?

What about the net at the bottom?

• 49:24Speaker 03

It goes in the top hole and out the bottom hole? I, I see what people are doing. I see what people are doing.

• 49:31Travis Kelce?

  That was.

• 49:31Speaker 03

What about a straw? What about a straw? Does a straw have?

• 49:34Speaker 05

You fucked me up with that one.

• 49:38Travis Kelce?

  Now I'm sitting here like.

• 49:40Speaker 05

  Nah, cause there's one.

• 49:40Speaker 03

There's one continuous hole. So does a straw have one hole or two holes?

• 49:47Speaker 05

See, this is, this is a debate.

• 49:50Travis Kelce?

Again, you can tell us to fuck off too.

• 49:52Speaker 05

  I'm the two guy.

• 49:52Travis Kelce?

  There you go.

• 49:53Speaker 03

I'm a two guy too. There we go.

• 49:54Speaker 05

  I think it's two. I don't think it's one.

• 49:56Speaker 03

You got the hole that my mouth goes on and the hole that goes in the liquid.

• 49:59Speaker 05

Exactly. I'm the two guy for sure.

• 50:02Speaker 06

They say everything happens for a reason, but I suspect everything happens for a Reese's. Like this commercial break. Did you need 15 seconds away from music? Or 15 seconds to eat a Reese's? Perhaps it's true. Everything happens for a Reese's.

• 50:18Speaker 03

Slam dunk contest. What are your thoughts on it now?

• 50:20Speaker 05

I think it's tough, um, because a lot of the dunks that we see, we have social media. It's like, you see it all. And then on top of that, the best dunkers in the world aren't NBA players.

• 50:34Speaker 03

  It's the reality of it.

• 50:35Speaker 05

They're not. So they make their own videos, their own content that we see and we're like, oh shit, that's crazy. But then, you know, it's hard for us to replicate that because they're professional dunkers. Like, you know what I'm saying? Like they're.

• 50:47Speaker 03

  It's what they do.

• 50:48Speaker 05

Exactly. And I know a bunch of the guys who are professional dunkers and they try to teach guys, but people don't understand that guys don't have time to work on these things. Like for real. Like we, when I, when I won, I only had two weeks. You know what I mean? Like, you know what I mean? And then the last dunk that I did to win, I didn't, I hadn't made that dunk since high school. So I was just trying to get that it went in. Like, you know what I'm saying? So I think it's tough. I think it gets a bad rap because people are like expecting something crazy, but it's like we, we live in an era now where you can see the craziest dunk by whoever. That plug out like Jayden Brown for trying, continue to go out there and do their thing.

• 51:23Speaker 05

I won't personally be out there again, to be honest.

• 51:26Travis Kelce?

You won it. You did it.

• 51:27Speaker 05

  Undefeated.

• 51:28Travis Kelce?

There you go. There you go. I guess that's right. Like if you would have saw Jordan jump from the free throw line on social media before he did it, like it wouldn't have been as exciting.

• 51:39Speaker 05

Exactly. And you, are you also seeing like people you don't know? So to people, they're like, oh, these, if so and so random person can do it, John Moran should definitely be able to do it. Like or Zion Williamson, she doesn't, you know what I mean? It's just not, it's not, not a fair, um, that's why I don't think guys do it because it's not necessarily a fair, uh, a fair shake, to be honest.

• 51:59Speaker 03

There's guys that all they do is work on dunking and different ways to make that. And that's just not what everybody in the NBA has time for. So what, what's a way that they could, the NBA can? I guess make the All-Star game and all this stuff because that's really the dunk contest was what everybody got ready for.

• 52:15Travis Kelce?

  Growing up, you already know.

• 52:16Speaker 03

And that's all anybody cared about. The All-Star game was was fun, but people really wanted to watch the dunk contest. So what can the NBA do to make it exciting again to get the fans engaged?

• 52:28Travis Kelce?

  It's a tough question.

• 52:29Speaker 05

I think that's tough. I feel like, I mean, I'm a fan of dunking. I've been a fan my whole high school career. So like, maybe you get professional dunkers to come in and do some things that people haven't seen. I don't know.

• 52:39Speaker 03

  You can elevate those individuals.

• 52:41Speaker 05

You elevate those. Like, we had a guy come in during halftime of one of our games and do it, right? Like, we, we, and he was between the legs dunking it like this way, like behind, like stuff that is just crazy, but like, you know what I mean? But people haven't seen, I think, I don't know. I don't, especially for the dunk contest, I don't know.

• 52:58Travis Kelce?

What do you think about slam ball? You get some trampolines in there?

• 53:01Speaker 03

Oh, dude, somebody's gonna get hurt. You can't be letting people do that.

• 53:05Speaker 05

I don't even think the owners, the GMs, nobody, nobody goes for that one.

• 53:08Speaker 03

What do you think about, though, what the NHL did, where they had like the Four Nations Tournament this year instead of the All-Star game?

• 53:14Speaker 05

  I like that.

• 53:15Speaker 03

And there's like, uh, cause I don't know, everybody gets hyped up for USA basketball, right? So all of a sudden, you got USA basketball, maybe even just versus the world. Maybe it's like all the foreign players combined on one team, USA on another team. And then there's like an actual competitive reason because you're playing for your countries. That might be exciting right there.

• 53:34Speaker 05

I think so. I think that the NHL that I really, I watched it. Um, that was, um, that was really dope, that what they did. I think that's something that could definitely, you know, um, elevate it for sure. We did that in the Rising Stars game my first two years. It was USA versus world. You know, like I said, it's, it's, it's tough, man. It's, it's, there's so much that goes on throughout the, throughout the Sunday that like to get to the game is just like, oh, we made it. Like, we made it there. Like, there's like, you know, you know how it goes. Like, there's always, there's always different things you're standing around. So like, man, guys don't want to get hurt. And then guys, some guys do, some guys get to work on it because they're able to, some guys don't have appearances as long as others. So it's, it's so much. But I think if you do the USA versus world, it definitely bring up the intensity for sure.

• 54:19Speaker 03

Even do it where like you could still do the slam dunk contest, but now it's not like, you know, Donovan Mitchell competing for himself in the slam dunk contest. He's trying to get points for Team USA's overall total.

• 54:31Speaker 05

Oh, you're saying the whole weekend?

• 54:34Travis Kelce?

He's on his own wavelength right now. He's on his own wavelength right now.

• 54:39Speaker 03

I think that'd be fun. Like I don't slam dunk it, but I want to watch USA beat the rest of the world in slam dunk contests.

• 54:47Travis Kelce?

I'll ask you this, though. Who, who is the one guy in the NBA that you would love to see in the dunk contest?

• 54:53Speaker 05

  Zach Levine.

• 54:55Travis Kelce?

Oh, all right. Yeah, you already know.

• 54:57Speaker 03

  Right away.

• 54:57Travis Kelce?

Watching him. I mean, he's the previous champion.

• 55:00Speaker 05

I got like five. Zach Levine, Zion, Ja.

• 55:04Travis Kelce?

  Zion would be crazy.

• 55:06Speaker 05

  Derrick Jones.

• 55:07Travis Kelce?

See, that's the thing. I mean, I want, I don't want to say back in the day it used to be different, but I mean, those like the superstars of the league definitely were in the dunk contest. Not to say that you're not, cause you still got Jalen Brown and you still got guys, you know, with very familiar, you know, contributing a lot, but it's like, I'm with you. I'm with you. Seeing the guys like that, Anthony Edwards, guys like that, just go in there and do something crazy or just do a regular windmill, but jump out the gym doing it.

• 55:32Speaker 03

Have they ever done horse at the USO game? That's what I want to see.

• 55:36Speaker 05

  They did it during COVID.

• 55:37Speaker 03

  There we go.

• 55:38Speaker 05

During COVID, they did that. You know what? I think this will never happen, ever happen, but I think we should get guys to line up and try to dunk and guys to try to block the shot.

• 55:48Travis Kelce?

Slam ball, one on ones. Let's go.

• 55:52Speaker 05

  We're not a triple A. I'm talking about.

• 55:53Speaker 03

  Just straight up.

• 55:54Speaker 05

Straight up. It'll never happen. It'll never happen.

• 55:57Speaker 03

I am so into this. We gotta get it to go. How do we get this going?

• 56:00Travis Kelce?

I'm taking Jay Allen all day.

• 56:02Speaker 05

I told Jay I would dunk the fuck out of him. I'm sorry. See my language.

• 56:07Travis Kelce?

Who bleeped that out for you?

• 56:09Speaker 05

I told, I told, I told Jay, we had a discussion about this in the locker room, actually.

• 56:13Speaker 03

  Yeah.

• 56:13Speaker 05

It was me, Ev, DG, Karis, we were all talking. It was before I dunked on Porzingis, the day before.

• 56:20Travis Kelce?

  Uh huh.

• 56:20Speaker 05

They were like, you don't, and I'm like, look, y'all, I promise you, if I saw y'all down there, I would dunk. And they were like, we gonna see. And then we saw against, um, I dunked on Porzingis and that's why you saw me look at the bench.

• 56:32Travis Kelce?

And go, I told you. He's like, you're next.

• 56:35Speaker 05

Talking to both of them, like, yo, I told you. I really, I make the jokes with Ev all the time. I get Defensive Player of the Year, rah rah, all that. I would, I would dunk, I would dunk.

• 56:45Speaker 03

So how, how hard is it to dunk on somebody though, when they know it's coming and like, got like that much space?

• 56:51Travis Kelce?

You're talking to a guy that's never dunked in his life, so you gotta.

• 56:54Speaker 03

Well, I've dunked, I've dunked, dunked the female basketball before.

• 56:58Travis Kelce?

  On what? No way.

• 57:00Speaker 03

Oh, I've got that, I, cause I can pole with female basketball. I can't pole in the, the.

• 57:04Speaker 05

I didn't know you can get up the high. Forget the pole, man. I didn't know you could.

• 57:07Speaker 03

I, Travis knows. I get up high enough. I just don't have the form down. I cannot, I'm gonna, I'm gonna dunk. I'm gonna do this.

• 57:15Speaker 05

The way to do it when you know a guy, like for me, like I always go at the guy's body, cause I'm strong.

• 57:20Speaker 03

  Sure.

• 57:20Speaker 05

So if I can, if I can eliminate, like you going like this.

• 57:23Speaker 03

  Yeah.

• 57:24Speaker 05

And take the body away, I'm fine. Once I get like up here. So like with JA and Ev, I would just try to go at them. I mean, it sounds really easy. Like I said, it sounds, I'm making it sound very simple.

• 57:34Speaker 03

  It's easy for you.

• 57:35Speaker 05

  But like, you know.

• 57:38Speaker 05

But, um, a lot of guys have tried to dunk both of them. A lot of guys have failed. I feel like I'd be one of the few successful, uh, people. We'll never see it, you know what I mean? Cause I'm not gonna try to practice, but like, you know, I promise at some point, maybe during training camp, I'll try it.

• 57:52Travis Kelce?

  It's out there.

• 57:53Speaker 03

It sounds electric. It sounds so electric. I wanna see this.

• 57:56Travis Kelce?

Well, we, uh, we kinda got into this earlier, but let's, uh, let's go ahead and hit it. Um, easier for an NFL player going to the NBA or NBA player going to the NFL. It's obviously have been a huge debate on, well, I know, obviously, but on this show for sure.

• 58:11Speaker 03

  On the show for sure.

• 58:11Travis Kelce?

And I guess, uh, around the, uh, the sports world, uh, guys crossing over. What do you think about the NFL, NFL to NBA, NBA to NFL, uh, debate?

• 58:21Speaker 05

I may get hated for this. I think it'd be easier to come over into y'all world at certain positions.

• 58:27Speaker 03

  Yeah, there's no question.

• 58:28Travis Kelce?

  At certain positions for sure.

• 58:29Speaker 03

Yeah, I'm with you. I'm with you.

• 58:30Speaker 05

  I don't think I could be a running back.

• 58:32Speaker 03

  What position you coming over?

• 58:33Speaker 05

Anything on defense, I think, not the line. I think for sure I could, not a corner. Take that back.

• 58:38Speaker 03

  Corners are, corners are hard.

• 58:40Speaker 05

I got big feet and my feet don't move like that. So I'm not, I'm not reacting to shit. I tell you that.

• 58:46Speaker 03

  You got safety?

• 58:47Speaker 05

Safety, safety, I think I got.

• 58:49Speaker 03

  Okay.

• 58:50Speaker 05

With time. I don't mean I could just walk on a.

• 58:52Speaker 03

  Of course.

• 58:53Speaker 05

Yeah, nobody can just go out there. You know what I mean?

• 58:55Travis Kelce?

Jay Tatum came through and he mentioned that as well. He said, if you, if you would have gave him time, because he was a high school football player, if you would have gave him time through high school and he dedicated that to that lifestyle, he thinks he could have done it. And it makes sense.

• 59:07Speaker 03

So who's, who's got the better chance? You, who had the better chance? You of playing in the NFL or Lamar Jackson of playing in the NBA? Having seen Lamar play basketball, could he have played in the NBA if he would have dedicated all his talent to NBA?

• 59:22Speaker 05

Are we playing each other positions? Like am I quarterback?

• 59:25Speaker 03

No, just, just make it. Let's say we're back in high school and a young Donovan Mitchell says, I'm going to focus on football and a young Lamar Jackson says, I'm going to focus on basketball. Who has a better chance of making it into the NBA or NFL?

• 59:40Speaker 05

I would say probably me making it to.

• 59:45Travis Kelce?

You hear that Lamar? Shots fired.

• 59:47Speaker 05

I hope he sees that too.

• 59:49Speaker 03

We gotta get Lamar's take on this. We gotta get Lamar's take on this.

• 59:51Speaker 05

We definitely got to. We definitely got to. I saw him dunk. I didn't really get to see him hoop much.

• 59:56Speaker 03

  Okay, okay.

• 59:56Speaker 05

You know, I don't know, but I definitely feel like, you know, maybe a tight end, you know, maybe, you know, I mean, come out, you know, grab it, fall. Who's the guy that falls on Seattle every time he catches it? What's his name? Every time he catches the ball, he, he.

• 1:00:10Travis Kelce?

  You're talking about Tyler Lockett?

• 1:00:12Speaker 05

  Yeah, yeah, yeah.

• 1:00:13Travis Kelce?

He's avoiding some hits. Yeah. You're, some unnecessary hits, I'll say, because he's a tough guy, but he's like, yeah, if I'm not gonna, if I don't need to take this hit, I'm, I'm not going to.

• 1:00:23Speaker 05

Or you throw me an outroute. I feel like I could, you know, nothing down the middle.

• 1:00:26Travis Kelce?

  Nothing over the middle?

• 1:00:27Speaker 05

You going down the middle trap? Nothing.

• 1:00:29Travis Kelce?

Come on, man. That's where, that's where you turn into a dog.

• 1:00:32Speaker 05

  Guaranteed interception. Guaranteed interception.

• 1:00:34Travis Kelce?

  Oh, not the guaranteed.

• 1:00:36Speaker 05

As soon as I hit you with the right here and get back that way middle, I'm not going for it. But I'm sorry and I'm.

• 1:00:43Speaker 03

Only outbreak routes, only outbreak routes.

• 1:00:46Travis Kelce?

I respect the take. What's the hardest arena to play in?

• 1:00:52Speaker 05

Um, because I can't see well, Dallas.

• 1:00:58Speaker 03

  Timeout, you can't.

• 1:00:59Travis Kelce?

Oh, like the depth perception is crazy in Dallas?

• 1:01:02Speaker 05

I'm not, I'm not, Dallas's depth perception is not the best for me.

• 1:01:05Travis Kelce?

So there's not, there's not a lot like behind the basket, basketball hoop, or it's just a weird.

• 1:01:09Speaker 05

The way the light, it's just the way the light is set up in there. Like, it's the only arena where I'm in there and it's like, it may go in today, it may not go in today.

• 1:01:18Travis Kelce?

  That's a crazy scenario.

• 1:01:19Speaker 05

This is like one of those things where it's just, your eyes just play tricks on you.

• 1:01:22Travis Kelce?

You ever thought about wearing the Rex Mags?

• 1:01:25Speaker 05

  Never.

• 1:01:25Travis Kelce?

  The old Grant Horrises?

• 1:01:26Speaker 05

The year I tried to wear contacts, because you know I don't wear glasses.

• 1:01:29Speaker 03

I was about to say, you do wear contacts out there?

• 1:01:31Speaker 05

  No.

• 1:01:32Speaker 03

So you're just out there with blurry ass vision shooting threes?

• 1:01:34Travis Kelce?

  71 with blurry vision.

• 1:01:38Travis Kelce?

This guy is crazy, man. We gotta give my guy some Lasik, man. Fuck.

• 1:01:42Speaker 03

This dude shooting threes while he's buffering.

• 1:01:52Travis Kelce?

  That's incredible, man.

• 1:01:53Speaker 05

Nah, for real, that's, that's the one arena where I'm like, my eye, every time it's like, it's like it plays tricks on me in that arena. I don't know what it is. I don't know if it's a certain light.

• 1:02:01Travis Kelce?

  In terms of atmosphere, though.

• 1:02:02Speaker 05

It's tough, because the tougher arenas, I love to play in. So it's like, I don't really know if you want to consider it tough, you know what I mean?

• 1:02:07Speaker 03

I guess, well, let's re, let's rephrase it. What's the most electric atmosphere arena outside of, what?

• 1:02:13Speaker 05

  Outside of here, both gardens.

• 1:02:16Speaker 03

I was about to say the garden.

• 1:02:17Travis Kelce?

Oh, yeah. No, both of them. Boston and Madison.

• 1:02:20Speaker 03

I was thinking Boston, just because you guys have had so much, so many big games against Boston, it feels like.

• 1:02:25Speaker 05

I love that crowd. That crowd is fun. I mean, I'm from New, I'm from the East Coast. So Boston and New York, the Knicks Arena, both of them feel like my people are, are there watching anyway.

• 1:02:35Travis Kelce?

  They care.

• 1:02:36Speaker 05

Um, but those are probably my two favorites. And I said here too, I said before I got here, um, I love, even when. Was it thirty, thirty wins, twenty win seasons like just jumping like, you know what I mean? And you're on the road, you're on the east coast trip, you're like, ain't nobody finna be here. This is sold out.

• 1:02:53Travis Kelce?

  Yes, they are.

• 1:02:55Speaker 05

Definitely, definitely wrong. So I definitely, you know, got a lot of respect for fanbases that show out through the down years as much as they do during the, oh, in Utah. Sorry. Try to put Utah in there.

• 1:03:06Travis Kelce?

Man, I'm excited for Utah's hockey team, man, because Utah, they're, they seem like a fanbase that would go nuts for hockey.

• 1:03:14Speaker 03

  Yeah.

• 1:03:15Travis Kelce?

  I just know.

• 1:03:15Speaker 03

  Figure that name out.

• 1:03:17Travis Kelce?

  Yeah.

• 1:03:17Speaker 03

I ain't trying to hear this.

• 1:03:20Travis Kelce?

  Hockey club.

• 1:03:21Speaker 03

You know, they want to do Yetis, but apparently the Yeti.

• 1:03:24Travis Kelce?

  Somebody bought all the trademarks.

• 1:03:26Speaker 03

The Yeti, uh, uh, coolers got the trademark.

• 1:03:29Speaker 05

They won't let them use it?

• 1:03:30Speaker 03

They might, but I think that there's like, they probably want to own it outright, I bet. I don't know. Somebody, that was the rumor going out there, why they weren't picking Yeti. And I'm like, bro, you gotta go with Yeti. Partner with them.

• 1:03:40Speaker 05

  Yetis.

• 1:03:41Speaker 03

Have Yeti coolers for sale through the whole arena.

• 1:03:43Speaker 05

Facts. Tell Ryan Smith, Ryan Smith, he was, he was with me when I was in Utah. Let him know, hey, the Yetis.

• 1:03:48Travis Kelce?

  You gotta get them going.

• 1:03:50Speaker 05

It was a reason it's electric for, for sure.

• 1:03:52Travis Kelce?

What city should have an NBA team that doesn't?

• 1:03:56Speaker 05

  Louisville, Kentucky.

• 1:03:57Travis Kelce?

Man, what? College Louisville? College? No way. You think they're packing out?

• 1:04:03Speaker 05

Everybody's gonna say, everybody's gonna say Vegas and they're gonna say Seattle. No. Louisville, Kentucky.

• 1:04:08Travis Kelce?

Man, alright. I've never heard of Louisville.

• 1:04:12Speaker 05

They got the arena for it too. And there's no professional sport team there. So it's just the perfect, perfect place.

• 1:04:17Speaker 03

Making a lot of sense right now. Spitting a lot of facts. You're gonna get some support in Louisville.

• 1:04:22Travis Kelce?

It worked for OKC. That's for damn sure.

• 1:04:24Speaker 03

LeBron James has said Giannis would score over 200 points in the 1970s.

• 1:04:31Travis Kelce?

  That's fucking hilarious.

• 1:04:33Speaker 05

  200 points is great.

• 1:04:36Speaker 03

How many points are you scoring in the seventies?

• 1:04:41Speaker 03

We get a little hot tub time machine action if you're back in time.

• 1:04:45Speaker 05

Um, it's hard to compare eras, but it is.

• 1:04:48Travis Kelce?

  It is extremely hard.

• 1:04:49Speaker 05

It's hard, but I'm, I'm always going to give myself the benefit of the doubt. I'm going to say 30.

• 1:04:53Travis Kelce?

  Nice.

• 1:04:53Speaker 05

  30, 40, 50.

• 1:04:55Travis Kelce?

  You're going to.

• 1:04:55Speaker 03

  Time out.

• 1:04:56Speaker 05

  If you're averaging the scoring.

• 1:04:58Speaker 03

  I think scoring.

• 1:04:59Travis Kelce?

  Yeah.

• 1:04:59Speaker 03

  Like you're.

• 1:04:59Speaker 05

  Scoring in a game.

• 1:05:00Speaker 03

You put up 70, you put up 71 in this era. What do you, what's your 71 in the 70s?

• 1:05:06Speaker 05

Did they have the three point line in the 70s? I'm genuinely asking this.

• 1:05:08Speaker 03

  That's a great question that I do not know. I, I.

• 1:05:11Travis Kelce?

I want to say they did.

• 1:05:13Speaker 03

  I don't think they did.

• 1:05:14Speaker 05

They're saying, they're saying they, they did it.

• 1:05:17Speaker 05

  1979, they're saying.

• 1:05:18Speaker 03

Is when it started. So this is no three point line.

• 1:05:21Speaker 05

So no three point line, all twos. Oh, that's nasty. Um.

• 1:05:25Speaker 03

  All twos nasty.

• 1:05:27Travis Kelce?

  I don't like that.

• 1:05:27Speaker 05

Um, I give myself, you know, 40, 50.

• 1:05:30Travis Kelce?

You gotta think in the 70s as well. There's not, I mean, the rim protectors around, you know, we're, it's like six, eight, six, nine, maybe.

• 1:05:37Speaker 03

  Yeah.

• 1:05:38Speaker 05

I mean, maybe the 80s, they started hitting you, but like you keep going in there time after time. They knocking you out the air, you know what I mean? So.

• 1:05:44Speaker 03

Yeah, a little bit more physical, a little bit more physical.

• 1:05:46Speaker 05

The floaters come in, the jumpers come in, you're not just attacking the rim the entire game. You're trying to preserve your body. So I go about 50, 50 for sure. I think.

• 1:05:54Speaker 03

All right. That's a very realistic answer.

• 1:05:55Travis Kelce?

We got one more for you. Pick your, uh, pick your all time starting five.

• 1:06:01Speaker 05

Am I on the team or no?

• 1:06:03Travis Kelce?

Yeah, you can put yourself on there. Go ahead.

• 1:06:05Speaker 03

Typically when we do these, people do not pick themselves.

• 1:06:07Travis Kelce?

  What?

• 1:06:08Speaker 03

Unless your name is Travis Kelce.

• 1:06:09Travis Kelce?

  What you mean?

• 1:06:10Speaker 03

Picks himself as one of the top tight ends of all time, but.

• 1:06:14Travis Kelce?

I'm just trying to manifest it, Jason.

• 1:06:16Speaker 05

He has the, he has the, the stats to prove.

• 1:06:18Speaker 03

For sure. No, I mean, it's definitely legitimate.

• 1:06:20Speaker 05

Still working my way, you know, I mean, I still trying to, still trying to get one, one ring, let alone three, you know what I'm saying?

• 1:06:25Travis Kelce?

Oh yeah. We're going to get it this year though, baby. Let's go.

• 1:06:28Speaker 05

Exactly. Um, I won't put myself in here. Um, Steph at the one.

• 1:06:34Speaker 05

Kobe the two, MJ the three, Ron the four.

• 1:06:40Speaker 03

I'm seeing no misses so far.

• 1:06:42Travis Kelce?

  At all.

• 1:06:43Speaker 05

My five man, I'm, I'm playing in 2025 basketball, so I'm not really going to tradition. I'm going small ball. KD at the five.

• 1:06:50Travis Kelce?

I mean, that's a hell of a starting five. I think, I think that five takes anybody's starting five.
