• 1:51Speaker 03

God, I feel so uncomfortably comfortable in this setting. Literally, for everybody who's listening, me and my team said, hey, we got this hard out because I actually run businesses. But I'm already in my brain like, fuck, man, I think I'm gonna go over. Like, the vibe is so right.

• 2:07Speaker 01

All right, we'll get you in and out, baby.

• 2:09Speaker 03

Honestly, I'm I'm humbled to be here. Thank you, boys. Congrats on everything you've been doing. Thank you, bro. And, uh, I'm ready, rock and roll.

• 2:14H. Foley?

Congrats on everything you've been doing.

• 2:15Speaker 03

  Thank you.

• 2:16H. Foley?

Unbelievable. We're so happy to have you here. Uh, give us the origin story. Give us the backstory of Gary Vee. Start from childhood.

• 2:22Speaker 03

Jersey roots. Moved here, yeah. Jersey roots after the pre-ruts of being born in the Soviet Union. Okay. So, real immigrant shit. Born in the USSR, uh, in 1975. Damn. Moved here in 78 to Queens. Uh-huh. Um, I mean, real-

• 2:38H. Foley?

  How'd you just get out?

• 2:39Speaker 03

We got out because there- I got out as a political asylum refugee. No shit. What happened was the Soviet Union hated Jews and just were like, "Fuck these people. Let's get the fuck out of here." And we're hearing that America's willing to give us some wheat. The dirty secret of why the USSR failed was they spent so much money on bombs, they had no fucking bread. Damn. Like, literally, the Soviet Union collapsed because they overspent on military trying to keep up with the US. Mm-hmm. That literally my parents tell me stories about waiting nine years in line for a phone, nine hours in line for a loaf of bread. It really fucking fell apart. Um, and so-

• 3:19H. Foley?

Damn, that's how we did it. Overbedham. Let's go.

• 3:21Speaker 03

Literally, literally, out- out arms race them.

• 3:23H. Foley?

  There you go.

• 3:24Speaker 03

Reagan was right. He's like, "Let's just make more bombs. They'll follow us." They did. And it was even happening before there. Nonetheless, thank God, got the fuck out of there. And we lived in a shitty studio apartment in Queens with my great-grandparents, my grandmother, my parents and I, you know, this is like-

• 3:41H. Foley?

Is this everybody came over at the same time?

• 3:43Speaker 03

My great-grandparents, on my father's side, my great-grandparents, my grandmother, his mom, and then me and my mom, and then his, his cousin, uh, so my dad's on my mom's side. My mom lost her mom at five.

• 3:55H. Foley?

  Okay.

• 3:55Speaker 03

My dad lost his dad at 15.

• 3:57H. Foley?

  Okay.

• 3:57Speaker 03

Very big foundation of my childhood.

• 3:59H. Foley?

  Gotcha.

• 3:59Speaker 03

The fear of my parents dying was the soundtrack of my life. Ooh, yeah. Like, real talk.

• 4:04H. Foley?

  I got you.

• 4:04Speaker 03

Nightmares, like, which is why I am who I am, because I'm so grateful they didn't.

• 4:09H. Foley?

  Mm-hmm.

• 4:10Speaker 03

That I literally feel for the last 30 years, I've been in full house money. Like, you've won. Yeah, yeah, yeah, yeah, yeah. Like, I've won. Like, I'm so glad so many people can't associate with me when I say this. And I don't talk about it often, so I'm giving you an exclusive.

• 4:21H. Foley?

  There you go.

• 4:22Speaker 03

That's Gary V exclusive, gang. Sweep, sweep! Uh, I'm happy that a lot of people can't understand what I'm saying.

• 4:29H. Foley?

  Uh-huh.

• 4:30Speaker 03

You know, they didn't live in an environment. Plus, we were immigrants. Everything was like, we're gonna- Immigrants, especially from that Soviet era, like if you live to 50, you fucking made it.

• 4:39Speaker 01

That's, yeah, that's playing with house money, 50.

• 4:41Speaker 03

What Americans especially don't realize is those Russians were miserable. The reason everybody fucking was an alcoholic drinking vodka was you lived in jail. Here's a fun fact. Most people don't realize the USSR was more North Korea than it was Iran, meaning we weren't allowed to leave. If you, when I was born, I was born into a country that is more similar to North Korea than it is to Iran. If you're, if you're born in Iran, you can go to places, they just don't allow you to go there. You know, but you can go to Turkey, you can go to the UAE, you can go to places.

• 5:15Speaker 01

  You guys are locked up.

• 5:15Speaker 03

You can get a visa to Canada. We were locked the fuck up. People were miserable. And it wasn't a good time. And it wasn't a good time. And everybody went to jail and it was KGB and it was fucked. Anyway. What year, how old were you when you, when you had to move to Queens? I was 3, it was 78. And so, you know, I was in America in 78, but my household, even when we moved to Jersey in 82.

• 5:37Speaker 01

  Was still Belarus.

• 5:38Speaker 03

Was fucking Soviet, was fucking Soviet.

• 5:41Speaker 01

KGB was at the door of that motherfucker.

• 5:42Speaker 03

Bro, like, I love talking to, and I grew up in, it was.

• 5:45Speaker 01

Which is such a culture shock to then like go to public school in Jersey or whatever.

• 5:49Speaker 03

Bro, it's. Your dad's KBG in you. Bro, bro, it's so obvious why I'm unstoppable. Like between the Soviet shit.

• 5:58Speaker 01

  This guy charges me up.

• 6:00Speaker 03

But it's, it's really real. Like, like, growing up in a Soviet household and then outside your door is lower middle-class New Jersey in the 80s.

• 6:12Speaker 01

  That's a tough.

• 6:14Speaker 03

Like, like, I don't know. And I, by the way, let's drop it even further. I went to Martin Luther King Elementary School. I was laughing on the way here. I'm like, these fuckers are gonna be like, are you garbage? I'm like, what's below garbage?

• 6:26Speaker 01

  Sure, yeah.

• 6:27Speaker 03

You know what I mean? Like, what's the thing? Like, it was such adversity, but. Here's the point, just like your auntie upstairs that you love so much. Uh huh. My mother was such a fucking monster. Yeah. She was so loving, it was so good, so even though I didn't have shit, I had everything. Yeah. Which was complete validation, real love, but not this new modern over coddling bullshit. Yeah. Like my mom, it was. Still a Belarus mom, dude, I don't dig that. But she honestly, fucking angel, except if you thought about being disrespectful to her. So I got super fortunate, I had all the love, you're the best, you're the fuck, you're a star, you're gonna be everything. I think that I wanna tell my mom like, no, I wanna do this, splat in the face, like, it was perfect.

• 7:12Speaker 03

Yeah. So I had a perfect mom and perfect environment. You can't be hungry when you're fed. I had to fend for myself from the get, I knew my parents were not buying me toys. It's just not part of the equation, we only cared about food and shelter. Damn. It was real rugged shit, and then outside, none of my friends had shit either. Everybody had nothing, like, I fucking lived in, like, a neighborhood where, like, my Eric Godfrey, my best bud, he lived in, like, a ranch that was much more a trailer. This is in Jersey? This is in Jersey, in Edison, New Jersey, 82. Okay. Okay, like, and, and by the way, like. And ain't Laguna Beach.

• 7:51Speaker 03

Every, every, every third day at Martin Luther King Elementary School, it's 3:15 flagpole, Tyson versus fucking Lennox Lewis, Sugar Ray versus Hagler, like, big fights. You, I laugh how everyone's so disrespectful now on social media, like, the thought of, like, if you said. Oh yeah, you get smacked around. Bro. Yeah, it's crazy. It fucking, we fought constantly. Sure. And everybody was bigger than me, and, and like, and you had all cultures, I grew up so lucky. In Martin Luther King Elementary School, black, Indian, Chinese, Asian.

• 8:25Speaker 03

American white trash. Like it was, it was perfect. So I never even thought about like, I didn't grow up with all the kids being like me. Everybody was from all over the fucking place. And then it was WWF 80s. So Nikolai fucking Volkov, everybody called me Nikolai fucking Volkov.

• 8:42H. Foley?

I'd assume you had to take some heat for the Russian thing back then.

• 8:45Speaker 03

It was actually the most heat I took was Russia in 82 shot down a commercial plane. It became like this crisis, 84.

• 8:54Speaker 01

  I'd be sick that day.

• 8:55Speaker 03

Yeah, everybody hated me. I was like, fuck.

• 8:58H. Foley?

But you think they wouldn't. You'd be like, boys, I got out. What do you mean? I'm on your side.

• 9:01Speaker 03

It was, it was, it was that. So anyway, that was kind of the environment I was growing up in. And that led me to entrepreneurship.

• 9:09Speaker 01

  Yeah.

• 9:09Speaker 03

Right? It was like lemonade stands and shoveling, like it snowed, snow day. This is the best. All my buddies are like, let's fucking throw snowballs at each other's faces. I was like, fuck that. Let's all get shovels, ring doorbells and make five bucks. It was in me from, in the same way.

• 9:24H. Foley?

You got them all working for you.

• 9:26Speaker 03

It's not confusing you today. You, you understand the comedy thing was in you and then cultivated. In fact, I so, in fact, some of the best compliments I've been given in my life for me are actually very successful comedians who like my content, who watch my keynotes and say to me, you do know that your keynote speeches have a comedic stand-up, you know, context and style?

• 9:47H. Foley?

Yeah, we've, we've used them for years. I swear to God, literally. No, as far as like, I remember Kevin turned me on to you. I'm like, this guy gets it and we can apply this to our comedy career as far as hustling and working and.

• 9:59Speaker 01

Yeah. Well, it was, I mean, also too. A sense of humor is very valued in blue collar, poor neighborhoods, whatever. That's like, that's what you have. You're breaking balls, you're, you're busting chops.

• 10:09Speaker 03

  It's also protecting.

• 10:10Speaker 01

  Yeah, of course.

• 10:11Speaker 03

Like the way I got my face not beat in a lot of times was having charisma and self and kind of making a joke. And to your point, this is what I love about like modern. I'm like, when bullying became everyone's radar 15 years ago, I'm like, this is bullying? Fuck, I was bullied every hour on the hour by my best friends. That was all we did.

• 10:31Speaker 01

I know, I know, it's what, so it's, uh, that's, it's very much, and you speak the language of a comedian. It's very, very much, uh, seen for sure.

• 10:38H. Foley?

Alright, let's get into specifics. We'll start in Jersey.

• 10:40Speaker 03

  Okay.

• 10:41H. Foley?

Okay, so what, what is, is it, no brothers and sisters, it's just you, only child?

• 10:45Speaker 03

I was born in the old country.

• 10:46H. Foley?

  Uh huh.

• 10:47Speaker 03

  We come to America.

• 10:48H. Foley?

  Right.

• 10:48Speaker 03

And my sister is born pretty much right away.

• 10:50H. Foley?

  Okay.

• 10:51Speaker 03

And we called her Garbage Baby. This is not a joke. I couldn't wait to share this with you. My sister's nickname in our family is Garbage Baby because everything she had. Because we, I'm talk, forget about eighty-two Edison, eighty-three. We were already like on our way to upper, like, excuse me, on our, we were in lower middle class. Nineteen seventy-eight, seventy-nine, Vaynerchuk in Queens. We were dirt, fucking, poor.

• 11:18H. Foley?

  Okay.

• 11:19Speaker 03

My sister's, what do you, what do you put a kid in a cab, a cab?

• 11:22Speaker 01

  Bassinet.

• 11:24Speaker 03

My, this is real. My sister's bassinet in Queens, Rego Park, nineteen seventy-nine, eighty, was a car seat that my cousin Bobby found in the garbage.

• 11:37Speaker 01

  Jesus Christ.

• 11:38Speaker 03

Put on a table and she sat in it. That was where she sat.

• 11:43Speaker 01

  No shit.

• 11:43Speaker 03

Like, it was every, like, clothes, like, we would take shit from garbage.

• 11:48Speaker 01

  And give it to her.

• 11:49Speaker 03

Put in our house. She, so, my sister Liz is three and a half years younger than me, Garbage Baby.

• 11:54Speaker 01

  Mm-hmm.

• 11:55Speaker 03

And then my brother was born in eighty-seven.

• 11:57H. Foley?

  Okay.

• 11:58Speaker 03

While we were still in Edison, New Jersey, but I grew up with my sister.

• 12:00H. Foley?

Gotcha, okay. So what's the house in Jersey when you guys land there?

• 12:04Speaker 03

So first we went from Queens to Dover, which was like a low.

• 12:07H. Foley?

  Delaware?

• 12:08Speaker 03

  No, Dover, New Jersey.

• 12:09H. Foley?

  Okay.

• 12:09Speaker 03

  Yep, Dover, New Jersey.

• 12:11H. Foley?

I don't even know where that is.

• 12:12Speaker 01

It's gotta be, if it's worse than Dover, Delaware, that's a bad look.

• 12:14Speaker 03

  It's worse than Dover.

• 12:14Speaker 01

  That's a bad look.

• 12:16Speaker 03

Dover, New Jersey was lower, lower middle class at the time.

• 12:19H. Foley?

What's your dad doing at this point?

• 12:20Speaker 03

He's a stock boy in a liquor store.

• 12:22H. Foley?

  Okay, alright.

• 12:23Speaker 03

He's making two dollars and twenty-five cents an hour.

• 12:25Speaker 01

  Jesus Christ.

• 12:25H. Foley?

Your mom's not working, she's taking care of you guys.

• 12:27Speaker 03

Old school. You know, this is how they did it back then. They didn't give a fuck. This whole, every, everyone's like, no, you need a two-income home.

• 12:33Speaker 01

  Sure.

• 12:34Speaker 03

  Like, no, you just live.

• 12:35Speaker 01

  How my wife's dad.

• 12:35Speaker 03

You live, you live, you live, you live less, here's what the problem is in modern society. And I'm an entrepreneur, and I'm a capitalist, but we have become so fucking materialistic.

• 12:46Speaker 01

  Yeah.

• 12:46Speaker 03

We now think a necessity is a nine-dollar coffee and taking an Uber. A necessity.

• 12:52Speaker 01

It's not your crazy. I like that.

• 12:54H. Foley?

  This guy's nuts.

• 12:55Speaker 01

I like the luxuries, you know what I mean?

• 12:57Speaker 03

But you know what I mean?

• 12:57Speaker 01

  No, no.

• 12:58H. Foley?

I like a cold, a cold, cold brewing SUV, I don't know what to tell you.

• 13:01Speaker 03

But brother, I think you guys both know this, like, when I grew up, like, everyone had a used car.

• 13:07Speaker 01

  Oh, yeah, yeah, yeah.

• 13:08H. Foley?

  Sure.

• 13:09Speaker 03

  Like, show me that now.

• 13:10H. Foley?

  Yeah.

• 13:11Speaker 03

The poorest fucker you know has a Lexus.

• 13:13Speaker 01

  I know.

• 13:14Speaker 03

We completely got the script fucked up.

• 13:16H. Foley?

  Yeah.

• 13:16Speaker 03

Anyway, yes, my mom stayed home because my, because they were all, don't forget, they grew up in the 50s and 60s in the Soviet Union. That was like the 20s and 30s in America.

• 13:24H. Foley?

  Right.

• 13:25Speaker 03

So they're like, no, no, like, the wife, like, the mom stays home and the moms.

• 13:28Speaker 01

  Yeah, yeah, yeah.

• 13:29Speaker 03

Greatest thing that happened to me.

• 13:30H. Foley?

  Right.

• 13:30Speaker 03

Um, and so, no, my dad's making nothing, we're living in Dover.

• 13:34H. Foley?

  This is in Dover?

• 13:35Speaker 03

  This is now in Dover.

• 13:36H. Foley?

  Okay.

• 13:36Speaker 03

And then, everybody quits the liquor store.

• 13:39H. Foley?

  Right.

• 13:40Speaker 03

On one day, there was only six people at this liquor store, and he becomes the de facto manager.

• 13:44H. Foley?

  Okay.

• 13:44Speaker 03

So now he's making a little bit more.

• 13:46H. Foley?

And this was kind of, just by twist of fate, that he got into the?

• 13:49Speaker 03

My dad, no, my dad had a great uncle who was born in the Soviet Union, his grandmother's brother.

• 13:54H. Foley?

  Uh huh.

• 13:55Speaker 03

His grandmother's brother, yes, but he came to America in the 20s.

• 13:58H. Foley?

  Okay.

• 13:59Speaker 03

  Before the whole Soviet thing.

• 14:00H. Foley?

  Uh huh.

• 14:01Speaker 03

And he made it big in America.

• 14:02H. Foley?

  Okay.

• 14:02Speaker 03

And so he owned a lot of real estate in Jersey, and he owned a liquor store. He was gonna take care of us when we came to America.

• 14:08Speaker 01

  Uh huh.

• 14:08Speaker 03

When we came to America, when they let these Soviets out in the late 70s, you had to go to Italy for a couple of months to get your papers right, and then come here.

• 14:15Speaker 01

  No shit.

• 14:15Speaker 03

You know some of these Russians?

• 14:16Speaker 01

Had to get the dust off you a little bit, you know what I mean?

• 14:18Speaker 03

They had to make sure you weren't a fucking spy.

• 14:20Speaker 01

Had to vet you, you know what I mean?

• 14:21Speaker 03

They had to make sure we weren't spies. While we're in Italy, we get a fucking letter, the dude dies.

• 14:25Speaker 01

  No shit.

• 14:26Speaker 03

So now we're like, fuck, the sugar daddy's not there.

• 14:29Speaker 01

That sucks, dude. You're sitting there with your ticket to America, and it's.

• 14:32H. Foley?

Trying to get back into Russia.

• 14:34Speaker 03

And then we really, and then we really fucking got unlucky because the economy collapsed, it was the Carter years.

• 14:40H. Foley?

  Yeah.

• 14:41Speaker 03

So my parents are like, we're going to fucking America, the streets are paved with gold, we get to America, my grandma gets mugged on the fourth day, I'm being dead serious, I'm being dead ser- And my, my dad-

• 14:52Speaker 01

The hell you doing, go do that trash, lady?

• 14:53Speaker 03

I hate to do this, because today's my dad's 72nd birthday, big shout out Sasha Vaynerchuk, happy birthday. That motherfucker wanted to go back.

• 15:01Speaker 01

  Really?

• 15:02Speaker 03

Yep. He, I, I hate to do this to him, and he hates this story. And my mom loves to get him. This place stinks, I'm going home. Think about that. Sure. It was so fucking rough, the first three months, he's like, fuck it, let's go back to suppression.

• 15:17Speaker 01

Yeah, that's crazy. Let's sneak back into fucking Russia.

• 15:20Speaker 03

  So, it's that bad.

• 15:22Speaker 01

  Damn.

• 15:22Speaker 03

This is what's hap- we're in Dover, we're there for a year or two, and then what happens is, there's this, I've been getting very nerdy, but fuck it, we're here.

• 15:28Speaker 01

  Yeah.

• 15:29Speaker 03

My dad's in the liquor business, the liquor store, and something called deregulation happened. In the seventies and eighties, a lot of the American liquor laws were still stuck.

• 15:38Speaker 01

  Pennsylvania's still kinda that way.

• 15:39Speaker 03

  They are, they are.

• 15:40Speaker 01

  So they have state stores.

• 15:40Speaker 03

  That's right.

• 15:41Speaker 01

Yeah, it's loosening up a little bit, but...

• 15:43Speaker 03

But New Hampshire, Utah, Pennsylvania, still state stores. Everything was regulated, mafia, you know, the, you know, the prohibition.

• 15:50Speaker 01

  Mm-hmm.

• 15:51Speaker 03

  New Jersey goes deregulated.

• 15:52Speaker 01

  Turned over.

• 15:53Speaker 03

Here's what that meant. Prior to 1981, everybody who owned a liquor store had to sell a product at a certain markup. So you bought it for 10 bucks, and everybody had to sell it for at least 13 bucks, or more.

• 16:05Speaker 01

  Uh-huh.

• 16:05Speaker 03

But because that was plenty of profit, they sold it at 13. Deregulation happens, and now you can sell that shit for $10.01.

• 16:13Speaker 01

  Mm-hmm.

• 16:13Speaker 03

So it's good for the consumer. My dad catches that wave as the manager, he obviously was a good entrepreneur in his DNA. Yeah. He teams up with some other small liquor stores, they start a co-op, they start advertising in the Star Ledger, at New Jersey's newspaper, and he starts to cook, and the business explodes. As the manager? As the manager, as the manager. Who's the owner? The owner is the son of the great uncle, so in essence, my dad's second cousin, third removed, whatever the fuck, right?

• 16:38Speaker 01

  Yeah, yeah, yeah, yeah.

• 16:39Speaker 03

That guy's a depot baby. Right. He's like, fuck it, I don't, like, this, my Russian, my long-lost Russian relative's starting to cook and make me even more money. Okay. My dad's no idiot, he's like, yo, can I be a fucking partner? They make a deal, and now my dad owns a little bit of the store. Okay. The store gets, goes from 150,000 a year to a couple million a year. Okay. He's able to take a little something. Now we move to Edison, we got a fucking little townhouse. Okay. Now we're lower-middle class, we're moving the fuck up!

• 17:04Speaker 01

• 19:47Speaker 03

Nope, we live in Edison, the store's in Clark, 15 minutes off, right up the turnpike.

• 19:51H. Foley?

  Okay.

• 19:52Speaker 03

You can literally see it if you're going down the turnpike. And that's how he cooks from 1980 to about 1989.

• 19:59H. Foley?

  Okay.

• 20:00Speaker 03

And that's where I live, my Kevin Arnold.

• 20:03H. Foley?

  Right.

• 20:03Speaker 03

You know, wonder years, like fucking out of a fucking movie, Stranger Things.

• 20:09H. Foley?

  Gotcha.

• 20:10Speaker 03

  Everything I'm looking at here.

• 20:11H. Foley?

  100%.

• 20:11Speaker 03

I can, I, by the time I'm, now I'm, we're poor at five, but at nine, I can buy a Skeletor.

• 20:18Speaker 01

  Sick.

• 20:18Speaker 03

You know, like, like I'm starting to live, I'm American.

• 20:20Speaker 01

That's the age you really get it to.

• 20:22Speaker 03

I know what the fuck Rambo, now I'm American, Rambo, Hulk Hogan, Rocky, fuck you Drago. Like, I'm fucking in it.

• 20:30Speaker 01

  Uh huh.

• 20:31H. Foley?

  It's called a simulation, baby, let's go.

• 20:33Speaker 03

Full of simulation, right? And, and I'm a fucking Jersey boy, become a Jets fan, played Nerf football, fucking whiffleball, fucking, you know, spin the bottle in sixth grade, all the shit.

• 20:42Speaker 01

  Yeah, yeah, yeah.

• 20:42Speaker 03

  All the shit.

• 20:43H. Foley?

  I dig it.

• 20:43Speaker 03

But, we start going from low, this is an epiphany my siblings and I had recently. We're like, wait a minute, we went from lower middle class to middle class, and then later when I got involved in the business and started blowing up, quickly to upper middle class, quickly to wealthy, but we still live like shit. I went on, I went on two. Family vacations my whole life.

• 21:03H. Foley?

That's what we want to ask.

• 21:04Speaker 01

Yeah, yeah, yeah. Where were they?

• 21:05H. Foley?

  What were they?

• 21:06Speaker 01

  And when?

• 21:07Speaker 03

  First one was 1986.

• 21:09H. Foley?

  Okay.

• 21:10Speaker 01

So you've been here eight, 10 years?

• 21:12Speaker 03

Yeah. My dad doesn't even go, because he's got to work.

• 21:14Speaker 01

He's got to work the store, you know what I mean?

• 21:17Speaker 03

  That's exactly.

• 21:17Speaker 01

  Yeah, of course.

• 21:18Speaker 03

By the way, I can't go, I'm working the store.

• 21:19Speaker 01

  Yeah.

• 21:20Speaker 03

And no credit card. My mom takes cash. We run out of it, by the way. We go to Orlando.

• 21:26H. Foley?

  Nice.

• 21:27Speaker 03

Disney World and stay in the Holiday Inn.

• 21:30Speaker 01

Damn. Off campus, baby. That's how, that's how you do it.

• 21:33Speaker 03

So off, yeah, we didn't even know where the fuck campus was.

• 21:37H. Foley?

You just flew down there, I assume?

• 21:38Speaker 03

Flew down there, my mom threw up, she gets motion sickness. I'm fucking taking care of my sister. I'm like, you know, that's, being an immigrant first child man, you're a fucking man.

• 21:48H. Foley?

  Sure.

• 21:49Speaker 03

  At 10.

• 21:50H. Foley?

  How's your mom's English?

• 21:51Speaker 03

  Amazing.

• 21:52H. Foley?

  Okay.

• 21:52Speaker 03

Like, both of them, you know, Train, you know this, both my parents have heavy Russian accents, but they, they speak fucking English.

• 21:59H. Foley?

  Gotcha.

• 21:59Speaker 03

  Though they're going backwards.

• 22:00H. Foley?

  Alright.

• 22:00Speaker 03

This is a big shout out to my parents.

• 22:02H. Foley?

So you're not running the show on the vacation that much?

• 22:03Speaker 03

Can I do a PSA real quick?

• 22:04H. Foley?

  Please.

• 22:04Speaker 03

Mom, Dad, can you stop watching fucking Russian TV? I call you now and you start talking Russian instead of English, you're going backwards, it's fucking with me. Dad, you're 72 now, Mom, you just turned 70, I'm starting to get worried, you're starting to, like, stop going fucking backwards.

• 22:18H. Foley?

That's their shows, they like it.

• 22:21H. Foley?

So you weren't running point that, like, on, on the vacation like that. Your mom, your mom was speaking English and, and handled all that.

• 22:26Speaker 03

Yeah, yeah, by this point, you know, you, listen, one of the great things about, like, if you two both move to India right now, and forget about, like, the i-.

• 22:32Speaker 01

  It's not getting crazy, yeah.

• 22:34Speaker 03

The AirPods that translate that just got announced, like, you, what are you gonna do? Be a mute? Like, you learn the language, right? And kids learn it fast.

• 22:41H. Foley?

I'm gonna hop on a plane and head back to JFK. That's what I'm gonna do.

• 22:44Speaker 01

Please stop in Italy before I come back. Uh, wow, okay. Huh. I was, yeah, sorry.

• 22:49Speaker 03

  Please.

• 22:50Speaker 01

What was, uh, was your mom, your mom was, was your mom a good cook? I assume she was cooking most of the meals, you're not eating out, you're not...

• 22:55Speaker 03

Do you remember Eddie Murphy's bit where he talked about, like, "Mom, I want McDonald's," and she made, like, the fucking, like, do you know this bit? It was a big stand-up that, I don't remember if it was raw or the other one, like, where she, he's like, and then my mom's like, "I'll make you McDonald's," and I'll make, but she's like, put onion and egg and...

• 23:11Speaker 03

My house was crazy. My mom literally lived the 1940's housewife life, like kids outside, start to cook lunch. Yeah. Kids back in, do laundry, clean the house, lunch, butt out, start cook making dinner, all from scratch. I, I remember my mom, my mom tells this great story of the neighbor ordering out su- an Italian sub. And her, and the like the Russian ants being like, these American women. Looking through the window. They're fucking ordering sandwiches for dinner? Are you fucking kidding? Like, you know, like it was such immigrant shit. No kidding. But my mom was not a passionate cook. My grandma, my mom's, my dad's mom would come on my mom's birthday every year. She lived in Queens her whole life when we immigrated.

• 23:56Speaker 03

She would come to visit us on my mom's birthday, May 3rd, and she stayed with us until my dad's birthday, September 10th. Damn. So I grew up with my grandma too. She was a more passionate cook, so she also chopped it up. The borscht, stuff like that, knocking that stuff out. Yeah, man, like real weird shit, like cow tongue. Alright. Like kids would come over pomegranates in the 80's. My American friends were like, what's the? That's tough to show a kid from Martin Luther King Elementary School with all some fucking cow tongue.

• 24:20Speaker 01

  Pomegranate looks like alien food.

• 24:21Speaker 03

Yeah, people, this is the era of like the worst food, like Wonder Bread and baloney and like fucking, and McDonald's was like, and Red Lobster was like three-star Michelin. And like, I mean, literally, this is no bullshit. I wore a suit, a $10 Kmart, Kmart suit. Yeah. To the Red Lobster in Woodbridge, New Jersey, in the Toys R Us Shopping Center. Like a gentleman. For my 10th birthday. Let's go, dude. Because that's how bougie Red Lobster was for us in 1985. Yeah, that's great. Just, just, I, I need you, hold on, boys. We get it, we get it. I wore a $10 blue suit to fucking Red Lobster. I respect it, baby. So this is why. Vaynerchuk, party of 45, please.

• 25:05Speaker 03

This is, this is literally. Why everything for me is gratitude.

• 25:10Speaker 01

  Yeah.

• 25:10Speaker 03

And I'm completely unaffected, cuz all this bougie shit I do now, it's just so ingrained who the fuck I actually am.

• 25:18Speaker 01

  Mm-hmm.

• 25:18Speaker 03

  And it's all this shit.

• 25:19Speaker 01

Yeah. No, I, I, I, I understand, cuz when you start, you know, you know, so we started making a couple of bucks, we started spending it, and you're like, the hell this, I don't need it, you start realizing, I don't need any of this.

• 25:29Speaker 03

  Of course, because you're-

• 25:30Speaker 01

It's back to like, black t-shirts and, you know, Levi's blue-

• 25:32Speaker 03

I haven't cracked that concept yet. Truth be told. You're, you're, you're spending for others.

• 25:37Speaker 01

  Yeah.

• 25:38Speaker 03

Right, you're impressing, you're trying to impress the opposite sex, your boys, the people that made fun of you, the people that told you you couldn't, whether it's your parents, your boys.

• 25:45Speaker 01

  He gets me.

• 25:47Speaker 03

What was the snacks, was there any type of Americanization?

• 25:50Speaker 01

  Dunkaroos or anything?

• 25:51Speaker 03

As, as far as culinary stuff in the house? Fast. Even though we had the hardcore borscht and fucking cottage cheese and fucking, but, we fuck, Russians eat potatoes like it's fucking oxygen.

• 26:01Speaker 01

  Yeah, you guys love them.

• 26:01Speaker 03

Potatoes and all this shit. No, we were fully Americanized into junk food pretty quickly.

• 26:07Speaker 01

  Great.

• 26:07Speaker 03

I like it. Like, the amount of Coca-Cola. Woo! That I consumed. Okay. From 1983. Uh-huh. To 2000.

• 26:15Speaker 01

  Talk about unregulated, baby.

• 26:17Speaker 03

Here's a brain fuck- Get that three liter in ya. Let me give you the brain fuck of Russians. Warm. Really?

• 26:24Speaker 01

The Europeans, everybody else does that, the, the warm drinks.

• 26:28Speaker 03

No, no, let me give it to you hardcore. What? Coca-Cola, two-liter bottle, warm, on my nightstand. Whoa. Wake, you wake up and you're parched. Swig. How old are you? Nine.

• 26:42Speaker 01

That's like hitting smelling salts, dude.

• 26:44Speaker 03

Yeah, what are you, a divorced cop? That's crazy. Guys, when I tell you- That was cool, your mom let that fly? We thought that was the norm.

• 26:52Speaker 01

  That's wild.

• 26:53Speaker 03

I would argue that Coke, my sister's gonna laugh her fucking tits off from this show. Uh, we used Coca-Cola like Listerine.

• 27:00Speaker 01

  Yeah.

• 27:01Speaker 03

  Damn. Like, Listerine.

• 27:03Speaker 01

It does, it's, the bubbles will give you a little, little-

• 27:04Speaker 03

By the way, even though we ate all private label poor shit, soda was Coke, cuz my dad had the liquor store and he brought it from the store. Ah! Got it?

• 27:13Speaker 01

Go right to the plug, baby.

• 27:14Speaker 03

So, we were, we were, we were fucking Upper East Side on the soda, and then our chips were not Doritos. That's okay. They were schmaritos, but, but, the, the beverages were proper.

• 27:25Speaker 01

  Uh-huh.

• 27:26Speaker 03

What were you doing as far as lunch to school?

• 27:29H. Foley?

You weren't rolling in with a bowl of borscht to school, were you?

• 27:31Speaker 03

No, no. Lunch at school was always, back, so funny, MLK, grammar school, not middle school, was not paid. Everything was like given to you, so I just ate, it was the lunch.

• 27:42H. Foley?

  Okay.

• 27:42Speaker 03

We didn't bring lunch. It was good because a lot, listen, we were fucking poor. A lot of the kids in MLK were even on the other side of the tracks. The kids that were beating everybody up for their money. Those fuckers, I'm so glad everybody got lunch, cuz I don't know what the fuck those kids would've come with.

• 27:58H. Foley?

  Gotcha.

• 27:58Speaker 03

You know, so, no, that was, the lunch scene was like, you know, a fucking pizza that probably gave us all cancer.

• 28:05H. Foley?

  Mm-hmm. Sure.

• 28:06Speaker 03

  Yep.

• 28:06Speaker 01

  It's good pizza though.

• 28:07H. Foley?

  Good pizza though.

• 28:07Speaker 01

Do you guys grow, did you drink milk with dinner growing up at all, or strictly soda?

• 28:10Speaker 03

  No milk.

• 28:11Speaker 01

  No milk.

• 28:11H. Foley?

No milk. No milk in the house?

• 28:13Speaker 03

Milk in the house strictly for cereal. Cereal was religion. My mom's one splurge was Frosted Flakes. She was addicted. She was fucking addicted.

• 28:22Speaker 01

  Woman after my own heart.

• 28:23Speaker 03

And it was Kellogg's. We didn't fuck around with like ShopRite Frosted, like she-

• 28:27H. Foley?

Some things you go name brand.

• 28:29Speaker 03

Corn, I'm sorry, not Frosted, corn. My bad, my bad. Corn the fucking rooster.

• 28:33Speaker 01

  Yeah, Kellogg's.

• 28:35Speaker 03

Kellogg's Corn Flakes was my mom's big splurge for her. Milk was only for cereal. And it was whole fucking milk, and don't fuck around with this bullshit.

• 28:45H. Foley?

  I like it. Um, alright.

• 28:47Speaker 01

What was the family car growing up?

• 28:49Speaker 03

Um, we, my, the, the son of the guy who was gonna take care of us had a sister.

• 28:56H. Foley?

  Right.

• 28:56Speaker 03

Aunt Arlene. Arlene, hook, this is huge.

• 29:00Speaker 01

This is already a dirtbag story. So, what was your car? Well, Arlene used to have a Toyota.

• 29:04Speaker 03

I, you're gonna die right now. This is actually, they were bougie, they were rich as fuck. At least by the standards back then. Arlene got my dad a Toyota, a white Toyota. That was a used car, and that was our first car. My dad didn't know that you had to put gas into it.

• 29:19H. Foley?

  What?

• 29:19Speaker 03

Ran out of gas the first time. Literally, like, literally, I mean, bro, we were fucking Russian immigrants.

• 29:27H. Foley?

Wait, there was no car, you didn't guys have a car in the Soviet Union?

• 29:29Speaker 03

  Of course not.

• 29:30H. Foley?

  No, no car?

• 29:30Speaker 03

  No.

• 29:31H. Foley?

  Nobody had whips over there?

• 29:32Speaker 03

No. You literally, my, my dad and mom walked to work. I was like, how far was it? They're like, hour and a half.

• 29:37Speaker 01

  Yeah, it's crazy.

• 29:38Speaker 03

Uh, just to remind you, you see Rocky IV?

• 29:40H. Foley?

  Uh-huh.

• 29:41Speaker 03

  Remember when you trained?

• 29:41H. Foley?

  Yeah, with the snow?

• 29:42Speaker 03

  With the snow, bro.

• 29:43H. Foley?

And the guys in the Mercedes following behind him?

• 29:45Speaker 03

Why do you think, like, I'm not scared of anyone?

• 29:48Speaker 01

  Yeah.

• 29:49Speaker 03

You think an American can beat me?

• 29:52Speaker 03

  Like.

• 29:53Speaker 01

  Not with that attitude, baby.

• 29:54Speaker 03

You know what I mean? Like, and I'm talking, not this new version, American, that we all make fun of.

• 29:58Speaker 01

  Yeah.

• 29:58Speaker 03

  I'm talking about you got.

• 29:58Speaker 01

  Eighties American, yeah.

• 29:59Speaker 03

An eighties American didn't scare me.

• 30:01Speaker 01

  Yeah, yeah, yeah, for sure.

• 30:02Speaker 03

Like, and so, no, we didn't know that shit.

• 30:05Speaker 01

  Mm-hmm.

• 30:05Speaker 03

And then, I got, and then, and then when we got into, dad started getting to the liquor store cooking. I remember, my mom's first car was a, was a, a, a Topaz.

• 30:17Speaker 01

  Hope, yeah.

• 30:18Speaker 03

A Mercury Topaz, is that right?

• 30:20Speaker 01

  Yeah, yeah, that sounds familiar.

• 30:21Speaker 03

1986 Mercury Topaz, put that in. Put that in?

• 30:25Speaker 01

  Yep.

• 30:25H. Foley?

  Yeah.

• 30:26Speaker 03

  There it is.

• 30:26Speaker 01

Mercury, yeah, mer- nineteen, yeah, nineteen, early nineties Mercury Topaz.

• 30:30Speaker 03

So that's what we had. That was like, and that, by the way, that Mercury Topaz was like a fucking Ferrari.

• 30:37Speaker 01

  Yeah.

• 30:38Speaker 03

We were like, holy shit. A, holy shit, mom's got a car.

• 30:42Speaker 01

  Mm-hmm.

• 30:42Speaker 03

That was first. Mom's got a car, not just dad. Cause when dad just had the car, we couldn't go anywhere.

• 30:48Speaker 01

  You're stuck.

• 30:48Speaker 03

  You're stuck.

• 30:49H. Foley?

  He's a work.

• 30:50Speaker 03

The good thing was, I went outside, you, you guys know.

• 30:53Speaker 01

  You just leave.

• 30:54Speaker 03

My fucking mother had no clue where the fuck I was.

• 30:57Speaker 01

  Yeah.

• 30:58Speaker 03

From the time I was six.

• 30:59Speaker 01

  Yeah.

• 31:00Speaker 03

No clue. Would open the door and be like, kids? Like, would like scream some sort of like fucking tribal fucking.

• 31:07Speaker 01

  Mm-hmm.

• 31:08Speaker 03

  (mimicking).

• 31:09Speaker 01

And you would always know your mom or dad's call or whistle compared to someone else's. You're like, shit, that's Gary's dad. He's fucked.

• 31:15Speaker 03

Plus, it was community fucking work.

• 31:17Speaker 01

  Yeah.

• 31:18Speaker 03

My mom would be like, (mimicking). And then like, another friend's mom would hear it, cause we were further away. And she'd be like, (mimicking). Like, like, you know, like.

• 31:25Speaker 01

  Passing down the lane, yeah.

• 31:27Speaker 03

  My, my friend Robbie.

• 31:29H. Foley?

It was a good time, wasn't it?

• 31:30Speaker 03

Bro, it was a, bro, my best friend Robbie Ternick, his mom smacked me in the face. For doing something wrong, I remember in 84. And it was like.

• 31:39H. Foley?

  Drinking Coca-Cola, warm.

• 31:40Speaker 03

Probably. It was like, of course, like, sorry, Ms. Ternick.

• 31:43H. Foley?

  Yeah, oh, yeah.

• 31:44Speaker 03

She was my mom too. And so was Denise, my sister's best friend, Ms. Lori. She was my mom. Everyone was your mom.

• 31:50Speaker 01

  Yeah.

• 31:50H. Foley?

  Sure.

• 31:51Speaker 03

We don't have that shit anymore.

• 31:52H. Foley?

Do that now, you get sued or something like that.

• 31:53Speaker 03

Of course. All right, let's go to high school. Okay. How were the grades? And any, any extracurriculars? Any sports, anything like that? So, let me give you the story. We then move. Okay. I live in Edison in this blue collar, kind of like, very good urban kind of culture vibe up until 8th grade, and then we moved to Hunterdon County, New Jersey.

• 32:12Speaker 01

  I know Hunterdon, yeah.

• 32:13Speaker 03

Okay. Right, it's up by Lehigh Valley, Pennsylvania, Allentown.

• 32:15Speaker 01

It's like the sticks, kind of, a little bit, parts of it are. Still is, even now.

• 32:18Speaker 03

  Correct.

• 32:19Speaker 01

  Yeah.

• 32:19Speaker 03

When we moved there in 89, here's the quintessential Gary Vee moving in 89 story. I go into 8th grade. First of all, I walk in, big moment in my career. I looked like you too, when I was a kid. Okay. Gorgeous, gorgeous. Good face, charisma out my dick, right? I walk into 8th grade, immediately, 2nd day, Stacy Johnson's in love, hottest girl in the school. How you doing? I'm fucking like...

• 32:42Speaker 01

  No shit.

• 32:43Speaker 03

  It was...

• 32:43Speaker 01

You're the most American guy I know, man.

• 32:45Speaker 03

Bro, 8th, 8th grade was everything. Okay. Like, I walk in, because these are stick kids.

• 32:51Speaker 01

  That's a pivotal, pivotal age.

• 32:52Speaker 03

And I'm walking in saying, "You guys know Run DMC?" They're like, "What?" They're like, "You hunt?" I'm like, "What the fuck is hunt?" Like, you know, 7th day that I'm in 8th grade. Walking in like Quincy Jones. 7th, 7th grade day, 7th. Literally the fucking Tuesday of the 2nd week, I walk in, and I'm like, "What the fuck is going on?" I get on the bus, I'm like, "What the fuck's going on?" I walk into homeroom, "What the fuck's going on, locker, what the fuck is going on?" There's not a fucking dude in the school. First day of hunting season.

• 33:22Speaker 01

  Ah, yeah.

• 33:25Speaker 03

I literally walk in the homeroom, Mr. G, my math teacher, goes, "What the fuck are you doing here?" I'm like, and my brain, I hate school at this point, I'm already a DNF student. I'm like, "Holy..." This is literally what happened, I go, "Holy fuck, these, these country kids, dudes don't go to school every day."

• 33:42Speaker 01

  Yeah.

• 33:43Speaker 03

I was so high, I was so high, I'm like, "Wait, do we get like every 7th day off or something?" "'Cause we're the men?" They go, he goes, "It's the first day of hunting season."

• 33:51Speaker 01

Deer season or something, probably, yeah.

• 33:53Speaker 03

I'm so pissed we didn't move a year earlier, the year earlier, they banned rifles in my middle school. Literally, if I came a year earlier, literally, kids were coming to school with a fucking rifle, putting 7th graders into their locker. That's nuts. So, this is now where I'm growing up. So, how is... Why, why, why are we out there? My dad missed the old country land thing.

• 34:14H. Foley?

  Okay.

• 34:15Speaker 03

So we found 28 acres for like four bucks in the middle of nowhere in Jersey.

• 34:19H. Foley?

It's like this. Where's he humping it to to go to the liquor store?

• 34:21Speaker 03

He's driving 45 fucking minutes every day to go to the liquor store.

• 34:24H. Foley?

  The same one.

• 34:25Speaker 03

Now he has a small store of his own in Springfield, New Jersey.

• 34:28H. Foley?

  Okay.

• 34:29Speaker 03

This is where I cook and be start my career. I'll get to that in a minute.

• 34:32H. Foley?

  Springfield, New Jersey.

• 34:32Speaker 03

So that's 8th grade. I go into high school. Here are the big things that happened in high school. 8th grade, greatest year of my life. Stacy Johnson makes me a man.

• 34:40H. Foley?

  Mm-hmm.

• 34:40Speaker 03

9th grade, worst year of my life.

• 34:42H. Foley?

Wait, you mean makes you a man makes you a man?

• 34:44Speaker 03

No, I didn't have sex, but like hooking up with Hugh, like kissing the hottest girl in the school is a monster fucking moment.

• 34:49H. Foley?

  I'm with you.

• 34:50Speaker 03

Feeling a booby in 8th grade is big in the 80s.

• 34:53Speaker 01

Feeling a booby now is pretty good too, I don't know.

• 34:55H. Foley?

  I'm still waiting.

• 34:57Speaker 03

9th grade, hard transition on the other side of the pillow. Big thing happens. I continue to not grow.

• 35:03H. Foley?

  Okay.

• 35:04Speaker 03

I walk into freshman year of high school.

• 35:07H. Foley?

  Out there.

• 35:07Speaker 03

  Out there, woods, country boys.

• 35:10Speaker 01

  Country dudes.

• 35:11Speaker 03

First kid I see looks like you look like right now. Full beard, big fucking dude. By the way, his name was Sal. Combat boots, jeans, fucking ripped like Bosworth.

• 35:22Speaker 01

  Sure.

• 35:22Speaker 03

  Fucking 6'2", 240.

• 35:25H. Foley?

  Alright.

• 35:25Speaker 03

  I walk in, 4'11", face of a 6-year-old, fucking 83 pounds wet.

• 35:33Speaker 01

  Tough dude.

• 35:34H. Foley?

  Gotcha.

• 35:35Speaker 03

Girls, Stacy Johnson, ready? Immediately starts dating a senior.

• 35:39Speaker 01

  Yeah.

• 35:40Speaker 03

  I'm out of rotation.

• 35:41Speaker 01

  Fuck.

• 35:41Speaker 03

And, not, no problem by the way, I didn't give a fuck. I mean, obviously the girl thing you kind of always want, but I didn't really give a fuck because I'm too business. I'm cooking with baseball cards. I'm making 3, 400 dollars a weekend selling cards.

• 35:53H. Foley?

  Really? You're moving?

• 35:54Speaker 03

I'm moving. Now, back then they didn't give a fuck. Nobody gave a fuck. I was making real money. Nobody gave a fuck. In fact, detriment. Who cares? That's weird.

• 36:03Speaker 01

What was your, how much cash did you think you had when you were in like, you know, high school?

• 36:07Speaker 03

I had thousands of dollars in my pocket at all times.

• 36:11Speaker 01

  That's awesome.

• 36:12Speaker 03

  But you have to.

• 36:13Speaker 01

  I gotta start through that.

• 36:14Speaker 03

But you have to understand, that was like having millions.

• 36:16Speaker 01

  Yeah? Oh dude, what?

• 36:18H. Foley?

I'd be like having millions now.

• 36:20Speaker 03

When I had a wallet with one, I had 1,000 dollars in cash in my pocket in high school, every day of my high school life.

• 36:29H. Foley?

  That's insane.

• 36:30Speaker 01

That is dirtbag shit and I respect that.

• 36:31Speaker 03

And this is 1989 and I'm telling you. It was as if I had a billion, but here's what's crazy. Nobody gave a fuck.

• 36:39H. Foley?

No smoking weed, no nothing like that?

• 36:41Speaker 03

Nope. My mom was so Nancy Reagan'd out, as I sit here today with you, I've never done a drug.

• 36:46Speaker 01

  Good for you.

• 36:47H. Foley?

  That would've been gone.

• 36:49Speaker 03

What's crazy, though, is nobody gave a fuck. This entrepreneur business thing wasn't cool. It was, "I got D's and F's, and I was a dummy, and I was gonna be a loser." No bullshit. And I wasn't great at sports. I played tennis, I was a good hacker, but like, I wasn't big. I wasn't good at basketball or football, lacrosse or baseball. And, on top of all that, if that wasn't enough adversity, even the thing I was great at, today I'd be fucking hooking up with senior girls.

• 37:14H. Foley?

  With cash.

• 37:15Speaker 03

Eighth grader, with fucking a thousand, which today's comp is-

• 37:18Speaker 01

  It'd probably be fifteen grand.

• 37:19Speaker 03

Correct. Today's comp is thirty K. Eighth, ninth grade me, senior girlfriend with thirty K.

• 37:26Speaker 03

  Back then, nothing.

• 37:27Speaker 01

He's doing it. Thirty K today. And that's, you know, that's conservatively funny.

• 37:32Speaker 03

  And so-

• 37:33H. Foley?

You hear that, Stacy? You blew it.

• 37:35Speaker 03

Oh, by the way, the fucking DMs, when that started becoming a thing for all the girls along the way. But here's what's crazy. On top of all that adversity, Sasha enters the picture. I didn't talk to my dad yet.

• 37:49H. Foley?

  Okay.

• 37:51Speaker 03

This is, I'm saying this nice and slow for the kids in the back. I don't think I talked to my dad yet. He literally slept in the same house as me my whole childhood, but he woke up before I did, and came home after I went to sleep. He worked seven days a week. He had two days off a year, Christmas and New Years, and he slept the entire day. I do not believe I had talked to my father yet, at the age of fourteen.

• 38:17Speaker 01

  That's right, dude.

• 38:18Speaker 03

Right? He comes in, he goes, "You're going to work." Drago. Ivan Drago walks in-

• 38:24Speaker 01

  Start chasing chickens.

• 38:26Speaker 03

And by the way, if you saw my dad, he's got a crazy thing. His natural eyebrows are mean, like the triangle. He walks in, he goes, "You go to work now."

• 38:35H. Foley?

  What year is this?

• 38:36Speaker 03

  Eighty-nine. I'm fourteen.

• 38:38H. Foley?

  Do you not finishing school?

• 38:40Speaker 03

I'm, I'm working on the weekends and spring break and summer vacations.

• 38:43H. Foley?

  That's it, okay.

• 38:44Speaker 03

I'm driving 45 minutes with my dad. Still not talking. I'm talking like this. I talk 24/7. This motherfucker doesn't talk.

• 38:51H. Foley?

Okay, we gotta tell him about Lucy.

• 38:52Speaker 01

Who don't love a good package of Lucy showing up?

• 38:55H. Foley?

A little pouch and a capsule. It's got a little bit of flavor, a little bit of hydration. Who's like a little hydration, hydration when you, when you, when you got a little, when you got a little finger going in there?

• 39:15Speaker 01

Buddy, you gotta stay hydrated out on these streets.

• 39:17H. Foley?

  What's wrong with it?

• 39:18Speaker 01

• 39:36H. Foley?

We gotta re-up, by the way. We're getting Lou.

• 39:38Speaker 01

Listen, when they, I, that is one thing, when the, the Lucy package shows up to Toody's house, the, the.

• 39:44H. Foley?

It's like the raccoons of the trash ripping through it.

• 39:47Speaker 01

No, it's fantastic. Everybody loves it. And, uh, here comes the fine print. Uh, first of all, level up your nicotine routine with Lucy. Go to lucy.co/garbage. Use the promo code garbage to get 20% off your first order. Lucy has a 30-day refund policy if you change your mind. Again, that's lucy.co. Use the code garbage, you get 20% off. So, high school social life, gone.

• 40:46Speaker 03

I did not, I, I love when I run into my high school friends, or when they leave comments about me, like how hard I've always worked.

• 40:51H. Foley?

  Mm-hmm.

• 40:52Speaker 03

Nobody saw me, in high school, do a social thing, until, spring break of senior year, when I was like, fuck, there's only like, eight weeks to go, let me go have a little fun. It was that fucking psychotic.

• 41:06H. Foley?

  Damn.

• 41:06Speaker 03

  And I worked child labor.

• 41:08H. Foley?

  Mm-hmm.

• 41:09Speaker 03

Fucking 8 a.m. to 9 p.m., making ice in the basement, bagging it, putting up shelves, th-th-th- brother, when I walked in here and looked at your tutty's little thing, that's like my home. I stocked the fuck out of that thing my whole life.

• 41:22H. Foley?

  Yeah.

• 41:23Speaker 03

I was in the fucking cooler in the back, fu- I would literally go into a cooler, and work seven, straight out, no lunch. Six, seven hours, fucking freezing my dick off. Fucking, you would come in and buy a six pack of Bud Light, I had to be on the behind the scenes, adding one.

• 41:38Speaker 01

  Gary's hand comes through.

• 41:39Speaker 03

  Like, it wa-

• 41:39Speaker 01

  Gary!

• 41:40Speaker 03

What, you know, I laughed the other day, somebody tried to troll me, like, "Bro, have you ever even worked fucking manual labor, thinking I'm some fucking, you know, country club kid?" I'm like, "Motherfucker, you know who the fuck you're talking to?" I fucking had a-

• 41:51H. Foley?

  Gary Vee the Ice Man.

• 41:52Speaker 03

  Brother, I had a fucking-

• 41:53Speaker 01

  It's a new name.

• 41:53Speaker 03

I had a fucking bad back from the time I was-

• 41:56H. Foley?

  Yeah, yeah, yeah.

• 41:57Speaker 03

Bro, I, I literally, my back would, my back-

• 41:59H. Foley?

  Bad back in high school?

• 42:00Speaker 03

Brother, my back went out, in senior of high school, went out. I crawled in my house, cuz I fucking completely fucked up in hindsight, what is your Q.L., like, I, so anyway, I worked every weekend, and, two bucks an hour, just like my dad did, it fucking sucked, cuz I was making real- in sixth grade, I started making money selling baseball cards, I moved to the sticks-

• 42:18Speaker 01

Now you gotta go make two bucks an hour?

• 42:19Speaker 03

Think about it, in sixth grade, I'm fucking hustling hustlers, cuz Edison's got fucking pimps and fucking, like, hustlers. I moved to the sticks, these country boys had no shot, I took all their money.

• 42:30Speaker 01

  Yeah.

• 42:31Speaker 03

All of it. Like, all of it. I, whatever the collective-

• 42:35H. Foley?

Chris Sabo rookie card, yeah, I could let that go for, uh, I don't know, two grand?

• 42:38Speaker 03

That's right, that's brother Sabo, Eric Davis, Mike Greenwell, Pete fucking Ink- Inkabilia, Corey Snyder, I was cooking these country boys.

• 42:48Speaker 01

  Sure.

• 42:49Speaker 03

And now I'm working liquor store, that was kind of what it was.

• 42:51Speaker 01

  Okay.

• 42:52H. Foley?

Huh. Let's get into now a little bit, cuz we wanna find out some of your, uh, opinions on, on garbage behavior and all that kinda stuff. Um, uh, let's, let's just get into the house real quick, what are you sleeping on these days, king, king size bed?

• 43:06Speaker 03

Oh Matt, whatever the big, is King the big one?

• 43:09Speaker 01

California, Alaska King, I think is even, but you got a King sized bed.

• 43:12Speaker 03

  Bigger.

• 43:12Speaker 01

  Not in a queen.

• 43:13Speaker 03

  Bigger.

• 43:13Speaker 01

Bigger. The biggest one you got.

• 43:14Speaker 03

Are you out of your mind?

• 43:15H. Foley?

Where we rest on our head now? We're in New York?

• 43:17Speaker 03

We're in New York. I live in New York City.

• 43:19H. Foley?

Any other properties around? Little vacation home, this, that, the other thing?

• 43:22Speaker 03

  The ex-wife's got them all.

• 43:23H. Foley?

Gentlemen. Fair enough. But we had them.

• 43:26Speaker 03

We had them. We earned them. We paid for them. I own them.

• 43:30Speaker 01

That's all that matters. Yeah, yeah, yeah, yeah.

• 43:32H. Foley?

  Alright.

• 43:32Speaker 01

Uh, what, uh, what brand luggage do you have?

• 43:35Speaker 03

  No fucking clue.

• 43:36Speaker 01

  You have no clue?

• 43:37Speaker 03

A Travel Pro, that fucking like bullshit one with the weird logo?

• 43:40Speaker 01

  I don't know.

• 43:41Speaker 03

I have no fucking clue. I don't have the fancy shit.

• 43:42H. Foley?

You flying up front on the plane these days?

• 43:44Speaker 03

  Of course.

• 43:45H. Foley?

Of course. You bring any food on the plane with you? Would you bring like, uh, you know, snacks or whatever?

• 43:50Speaker 03

No, I don't give a fuck. But my wife,

• 43:52H. Foley?

  Uh huh.

• 43:52Speaker 03

Mona is an outrageous clean eater.

• 43:55Speaker 01

  Mm-hmm.

• 43:56Speaker 03

She brings like, she's, do you know that dude that brings coconuts?

• 44:00H. Foley?

  Yes.

• 44:01Speaker 03

Do you know about this dude?

• 44:01H. Foley?

  Paul Saldino.

• 44:02Speaker 03

  That's very good.

• 44:02H. Foley?

  Carnivore MD.

• 44:03Speaker 03

By the way, big shout out to him. He has a fucking,

• 44:05H. Foley?

  He's my boy. Love him.

• 44:07Speaker 01

He's been talking about it for years.

• 44:08H. Foley?

  Tight body on him.

• 44:09Speaker 03

By the way, he, he has a beef jerky.

• 44:11H. Foley?

  Oh yeah.

• 44:12Speaker 03

I eat the fuck out of that thing.

• 44:13H. Foley?

  It's good.

• 44:13Speaker 03

I eat the fuck out of that thing.

• 44:15H. Foley?

  No kidding.

• 44:15Speaker 03

Uh, anyway, no, I don't give a fuck.

• 44:17H. Foley?

  Okay.

• 44:18Speaker 01

Do you have a, a airline that you prefer?

• 44:20Speaker 03

All of them. I fly so much, all of them.

• 44:23Speaker 01

  Gotcha. Okay.

• 44:24H. Foley?

  Huh.

• 44:25Speaker 03

  Private, private's good too.

• 44:27Speaker 01

  Yeah, so I hear.

• 44:28H. Foley?

  You peeing in the shower?

• 44:30Speaker 03

  Yes.

• 44:30H. Foley?

  Brush your teeth in there?

• 44:31Speaker 03

Yes, but not, but not predominantly.

• 44:33H. Foley?

  Okay.

• 44:34Speaker 03

Meaning like, I'll brush my teeth in the sink eighty-two point seven percent of the time.

• 44:39H. Foley?

  Gotcha.

• 44:39Speaker 03

  The rest is shower.

• 44:40Speaker 01

So it lives in the medicine cabinet, not in the shower?

• 44:42Speaker 03

Yeah, but sometimes I get weird and just like, I think it's fun. I think it's better to do it in the shower.

• 44:46Speaker 01

  You're not wrong.

• 44:47H. Foley?

How many pillows are on the bed when we go to sleep? What are we sleeping like?

• 44:49Speaker 03

  I have two.

• 44:50H. Foley?

  Two behind you?

• 44:51Speaker 03

  Yes.

• 44:52H. Foley?

Any, any turn to the side, cuddle pillow, one between the legs, nothing like that?

• 44:56Speaker 03

Occasionally I'll do that. Call that one to three percent of the time. I'll take one of the two and put it there.

• 45:01H. Foley?

  Okay.

• 45:02Speaker 03

Always on the side, but I'm deeply in love. Like me and Mona are one unit when we sleep.

• 45:06H. Foley?

  Snuggle and go to sleep.

• 45:06Speaker 03

  Snuggle.

• 45:07H. Foley?

  Very nice.

• 45:07Speaker 03

Full, full, like every minute. I would, I'm pretty positive we are touching at every minute of our full sleep.

• 45:13H. Foley?

Very sweet. TV in the room?

• 45:15Speaker 03

  Yes.

• 45:15H. Foley?

TV on when you go to bed?

• 45:17Speaker 03

Uh, she likes it. She's starting to get off of it. She's also so crazy clean that I have to shut off all the power in the bedroom and the wifi before we go to sleep.

• 45:27Speaker 01

  Damn.

• 45:28Speaker 03

  What?

• 45:28H. Foley?

  Yeah.

• 45:29Speaker 03

I don't have a single scented item in our home. Whoa. My deodorant, when she transferred me to this new deodorant three years ago, I smelled like a fucking maniac for the first week and then my body completely adjusted. There's not a scent, Branch Basics for all our shit. There's not a scent in my home. Whoa.

• 45:45H. Foley?

  No cologne, no nothing.

• 45:47Speaker 03

  A scent. Nothing.

• 45:48H. Foley?

  Damn.

• 45:49Speaker 01

  What's the toothpaste?

• 45:50Speaker 03

  Non-scented. Damn.

• 45:51H. Foley?

  Yikes.

• 45:52Speaker 03

Forget about toothpaste. Shampoo and deodorant not being scented or laundry fucking thing is crazy.

• 45:57Speaker 01

  That's wild, dude.

• 45:57Speaker 03

  She's a clean machine.

• 45:59H. Foley?

You know what Saladino uses in the wash?

• 46:01Speaker 03

  No clue.

• 46:02H. Foley?

  Vinegar.

• 46:02Speaker 03

That's right. Like, she's of that world.

• 46:05Speaker 01

  Damn.

• 46:05Speaker 03

  They're homies.

• 46:06Speaker 01

  That's fucking...

• 46:06H. Foley?

  That's hardcore.

• 46:07Speaker 01

  That's pretty cool.

• 46:08H. Foley?

  Holy shit.

• 46:09Speaker 01

Um, will you dance at a wedding?

• 46:11Speaker 03

  Poorly.

• 46:12Speaker 01

  Poorly.

• 46:12Speaker 03

I am typical white man dancer.

• 46:14Speaker 01

  Will you go out?

• 46:15Speaker 03

Though I do the crab. Like, I...

• 46:16Speaker 01

  What's that?

• 46:17H. Foley?

  It's a crab?

• 46:18Speaker 03

I will fucking, at a wedding, I will...

• 46:20Speaker 01

This guy is, this guy is from the USSR.

• 46:24Speaker 03

  I will fucking dominate.

• 46:25H. Foley?

Talking about a kid from the 80s, let's go.

• 46:27Speaker 03

  Fucking crap.

• 46:28Speaker 01

  Okay.

• 46:29H. Foley?

Soon as that Rob Base hits, you don't know what to do. Let's say you do go to a wedding...

• 46:33Speaker 03

  No, it's more Twisted Sister.

• 46:34H. Foley?

  I'm with you.

• 46:35Speaker 03

When we get into, "We're not gonna take it anymore."

• 46:37Speaker 01

  There's that crap comes out.

• 46:38H. Foley?

Alright, let's say you do go to a wedding, you know, cousin, whatever, young cousin or whatever. Just out of curiosity, what are we talking about in the envelope from Uncle Gary?

• 46:47Speaker 01

  What's a gift?

• 46:49H. Foley?

  What do you think?

• 46:49Speaker 03

  Two to five K.

• 46:50Speaker 01

  Whoa.

• 46:51Speaker 03

  What?

• 46:51Speaker 01

  That's great.

• 46:52Speaker 03

  Is that good?

• 46:53Speaker 01

  That's a really good answer.

• 46:54H. Foley?

That's the biggest we've ever got.

• 46:55Speaker 01

  That's a really good answer.

• 46:56H. Foley?

  Two to five K.

• 46:57Speaker 01

If you were gonna say like a hundred bucks, I was gonna have to...

• 46:59H. Foley?

  They gotta learn!

• 47:00Speaker 01

I was gonna have to yell at you in public. I wasn't gonna like that.

• 47:02H. Foley?

  Two to five K.

• 47:03Speaker 03

Is that, is that, where does that...

• 47:05Speaker 01

  That's great.

• 47:05Speaker 03

I don't know shit about this shit.

• 47:07Speaker 01

  Guy like you...

• 47:08H. Foley?

That's the most we've ever heard.

• 47:09Speaker 03

That's what I'm so, oh, that's the most...

• 47:10Speaker 01

  Nah, Tim Dillon.

• 47:11H. Foley?

Oh, Timmy D. Yeah, Timmy D.

• 47:12Speaker 03

Tim's lying. I know Tim well. Tim is lying.

• 47:15H. Foley?

No, but that was a, Timmy D., that was a specific, that was a specific one.

• 47:18Speaker 01

Uh, okay. No, a thousand, anything over a thousand. Guy like you, cuz that's going, that's going through, everyone's going, "Gary Vee was at your wedding? What'd he give ya?" Everyone's asking that.

• 47:29Speaker 03

You know what? I know that, which is probably why I'm doing two to five.

• 47:31Speaker 01

Yeah, anything over a thousand's great.

• 47:33Speaker 03

I don't need to fuck up my reputation.

• 47:34Speaker 01

  Anything over a thousand's great.

• 47:35H. Foley?

Is there a favorite frozen pizza that you have?

• 47:38Speaker 03

  I don't eat frozen pizza.

• 47:39Speaker 01

Can't. Can't even have fucking... Sense in a house. Uh, hmm, what's the car now? What's the day-to-day car now?

• 47:46H. Foley?

Talk to us. We wanna hear it.

• 47:47Speaker 01

  It's all celebrating.

• 47:48H. Foley?

  Everybody wants to hear it.

• 47:50Speaker 03

  Full-time driver.

• 47:51Speaker 01

  My fucking guy.

• 47:52Speaker 03

  Get the fuck outta here.

• 47:53Speaker 01

Now, I got a question about that. Do you own the car?

• 47:55Speaker 03

  Damn, you're that rich?

• 47:56Speaker 01

  You bought the car?

• 47:56Speaker 03

  I didn't know that!

• 47:57Speaker 01

  What's the car? Escalade?

• 47:59Speaker 03

What is that, fucking Tahoe? What is that, train? What the fuck is Abi driving? Tahoe.

• 48:05Speaker 01

  Driver named Abi is nice.

• 48:07Speaker 03

Yeah, also slash protect- Abi, police force, like, there's a lot of-.

• 48:11Speaker 01

I didn't think Abi's got some heat on him.

• 48:14Speaker 03

He's gonna choke you the fuck out. Damn, I didn't know you had it like that, goddammit! Let me break this down. I didn't know, full-time driver? Let me tell you something.

• 48:20Speaker 01

You know how rich he is?

• 48:22Speaker 03

  I'll tell you this, though.

• 48:23Speaker 01

You got thirty grand on you right now?

• 48:26Speaker 03

Full-time driver is actually stunningly, I would argue, people of wealth, that should be first.

• 48:32Speaker 01

  For sure.

• 48:33Speaker 03

Cause time is everything, especially in New York City. Like, I got fucked up today. I was a few minutes late, I apologize.

• 48:37Speaker 01

  All good.

• 48:37Speaker 03

I'm pissed about that shit. Thank god I wasn't like I was a couple of years ago. Like, I've been on driver for a long time now. I'd rather do driver than get a fucking painting or a fucking watch or sneaker. It's, it's, it's all utilitarian. It's time.

• 48:52H. Foley?

Do you have any of that shit? Do you have like a nice expensive watch? Nothing?

• 48:54Speaker 03

  Nothing.

• 48:55H. Foley?

You got nice suits, anything like that?

• 48:56Speaker 01

What brand t-shirt is that? You don't even know?

• 49:01Speaker 01

Damn, he's rocking a Mack Weldon.

• 49:03Speaker 03

  Is that good?

• 49:04Speaker 01

Uh, yeah, I mean, yeah, yeah, yeah, it's not like, I mean, it's, yeah.

• 49:07H. Foley?

Brooks Brothers or something like that, rocking a Mack Weldon, man?

• 49:10Speaker 03

If you told me to tell me one thing about Mack, I don't know if this is-

• 49:13Speaker 01

They were probably sponsored you at some point.

• 49:15Speaker 03

  Got it.

• 49:16Speaker 01

Yeah. They're like a big, I think, we've, they've sponsored a pod or something like that.

• 49:20H. Foley?

What do you have, like, what are you doing after this? You're not just going home and kicking it or nothing like that, right?

• 49:25Speaker 03

  You know what?

• 49:26Speaker 01

This guy hasn't relaxed since eighty-nine, dude. What the fuck are you talking about?

• 49:30H. Foley?

  Holy shit.

• 49:31Speaker 03

I work, for sure. Cause it's my, you guys know this, it's my hobby.

• 49:35H. Foley?

  Yeah.

• 49:35Speaker 03

  I love to work.

• 49:36H. Foley?

  Can you whistle?

• 49:37Speaker 03

  Yes.

• 49:37H. Foley?

Can you, any, can any, uh, double joint or does it say anything like that?

• 49:41Speaker 03

  Um-

• 49:41Speaker 01

  You sawed a crab.

• 49:42H. Foley?

  That's true, I did see a crab.

• 49:44Speaker 03

I have this. Do you have that?

• 49:47Speaker 01

  Nah, I can't do that.

• 49:48Speaker 03

  Show me, try.

• 49:49Speaker 01

  I can't do it.

• 49:49Speaker 03

  Show, don't be scared.

• 49:50Speaker 01

  That's literally me trying.

• 49:52Speaker 03

Oh, you have it. But do you have this? Ugh, goddamn.

• 49:55Speaker 01

  Damn, I ain't got that.

• 49:57H. Foley?

Now we know what Stacy saw in you.

• 50:00Speaker 01

Uh, if you had to, Pizza Hut or Domino's?

• 50:03Speaker 03

  Pizza Hut.

• 50:03H. Foley?

  Ooh. Gentlemen.

• 50:05Speaker 01

  Okay.

• 50:05H. Foley?

What do you think about the double leg?

• 50:07Speaker 03

  Into it.

• 50:08H. Foley?

  Hmm, gentlemen.

• 50:09Speaker 01

Have you ever bought used tires for a car?

• 50:11Speaker 03

  Yes.

• 50:12Speaker 01

  Wow.

• 50:12Speaker 03

My first car that I bought was a 1976 Monte Carlo with a massive dent in it for $680 at a garage sale.

• 50:20H. Foley?

I know this is gonna be no.

• 50:21Speaker 03

And I had to change the tires all the time. I had flat tire every day.

• 50:24H. Foley?

I know this is gonna be no, but did you ever have a slip and slide?

• 50:26Speaker 03

  I did.

• 50:27H. Foley?

  Really?

• 50:28Speaker 03

  But not the real one.

• 50:29H. Foley?

  Of course.

• 50:30Speaker 03

  Of cour-.

• 50:30H. Foley?

  You guys made it.

• 50:31Speaker 03

  Right, the garbage bags.

• 50:32Speaker 01

  Yeah, yeah, yeah.

• 50:32Speaker 03

Slip and slide was our life in the 80s. It was major. The sprinkler? A sprinkler in 1984 in Jersey?

• 50:40H. Foley?

  Sure.

• 50:41Speaker 03

  Is like cocaine.

• 50:43H. Foley?

  It's like Dorney Park.

• 50:45Speaker 03

Yeah, it was like fucking Dorney Park. Well said.

• 50:47H. Foley?

Did you ever own a super soaker?

• 50:48Speaker 03

  No.

• 50:49H. Foley?

Never got your hands on one, okay?

• 50:50Speaker 03

No, and I was a little old for that, and then honestly, that was way too expensive of a thing.

• 50:55Speaker 01

Sure. Uh, will you now or do you sneak snacks to a movie theater?

• 50:59Speaker 03

  No.

• 51:00Speaker 01

  No.

• 51:01Speaker 03

  I think it's, I think that's disrespectful.

• 51:03Speaker 01

Goddamn. Goddamn gentlemen. Look at that. Huh. Um...

• 51:09Speaker 03

Keep going, I like this shit, keep going. I'm willing to go past my time on this, because I like this thing.

• 51:13Speaker 01

  You got two minutes.

• 51:14Speaker 03

I like this thing, keep going.

• 51:15Speaker 01

Have you ever bought the floor model of an appliance or a TV?

• 51:18Speaker 03

  No.

• 51:18Speaker 01

  No.

• 51:19H. Foley?

Do you own an electric carving knife?

• 51:21Speaker 03

  No.

• 51:22Speaker 01

  Huh.

• 51:23H. Foley?

How do you feel about the rotisserie chicken?

• 51:25Speaker 03

I eat the shit out of those.

• 51:26Speaker 01

Good for you. What's a vacation look like now?

• 51:28H. Foley?

  Talk to us.

• 51:29Speaker 03

Beach, doing nothing, nothing, I'm 24/7, 365, so ideal vacation is fucking doing nothing but laying by sand and water, listening to music, eating three times a day, because I eat once a day. Like, that is a vacation for me.

• 51:47Speaker 01

  Good for you.

• 51:47H. Foley?

How many days will we be doing that?

• 51:50Speaker 03

Um, now, now, now, I can't, no, I can do, I, you know what's wild? Even though I'm a psycho and would be like coming up with ideas in the sand, I can do it. I can't do it when the world is on. So I have 3,000 employees, I have seven different companies.

• 52:05Speaker 01

  3,000 employees?

• 52:07Speaker 03

How do you sleep at night? The fuck, this is the funniest part about my brand. Everybody thinks I'm like Gary Vee, the motivational speaker. I'm the active CEO of the largest advertising agency that has been built in the last 30 years. I have 2,000 employees around the world, you know, on that. And then I have a sports agency and V Friends and all this crazy shit. So I can't rest and vacation if it's a normal work week.

• 52:30Speaker 01

  Right, if stuff's happening.

• 52:32Speaker 03

But during Christmas, late August, when everyone checks the fuck out because America got soft. You know, Christmas.

• 52:37Speaker 01

Turning to Europeans all of a sudden, shut down in August.

• 52:40Speaker 03

  I hate it.

• 52:41Speaker 01

Uh, I mean, alright, you know, I'm pretty...

• 52:44Speaker 03

No, no, no, you guys can't be done, you got notes and shit. Keep going, keep going.

• 52:47Speaker 01

Have you ever used the squeegee at a gas station to clean anything but the windshield of your car? Like, have you ever done the doors or the tires with it?

• 52:54Speaker 03

  No, no.

• 52:54H. Foley?

  Favorite flavor of Gatorade?

• 52:56Speaker 03

  The orange.

• 52:57H. Foley?

  Okay.

• 52:58Speaker 01

  Not bad.

• 53:00H. Foley?

Butter on the counter, butter in the refrigerator at the house.

• 53:02Speaker 03

  Counter.

• 53:03H. Foley?

  Counter.

• 53:03Speaker 03

  European.

• 53:04H. Foley?

  European, very nice.

• 53:05Speaker 01

  Yeah.

• 53:06H. Foley?

Mayonnaise, I mean, you might, Hellmann's, Miracle Whip. Maybe not now, but as, as a younger man.

• 53:12Speaker 03

Mayonnaise was, I'm such a mustard guy.

• 53:15H. Foley?

  Russian.

• 53:16Speaker 03

I would use mustard over mayonnaise and ketchup in almost every environment, even as a kid. We were more, we were more Hellmann's in the family.

• 53:25H. Foley?

  Okay.

• 53:25Speaker 03

There was a Russian salad that my mom really used. Um, obviously first private label, and then it was Hellmann's as we got into the middle class. That, we weren't, that was where we were.

• 53:35H. Foley?

She used the mayonnaise in the salad dressing?

• 53:37Speaker 03

Yeah, it was like a mayonnaise and it's like this.

• 53:38H. Foley?

I dated a Polish girl, her mom did the same thing. It's actually pretty banging.

• 53:41Speaker 03

I'm sure it was. The Polish girl or the man?

• 53:42H. Foley?

  Both.

• 53:43Speaker 01

  Both.

• 53:44Speaker 03

  Those Polish girls are nice.

• 53:45Speaker 01

Do you do, you do still do soda now, or no?

• 53:48Speaker 03

  Not really.

• 53:48Speaker 01

  Not really.

• 53:49Speaker 03

  A little poppy.

• 53:50Speaker 01

  Okay.

• 53:51Speaker 03

You know, a little La Croix gives me a little...

• 53:52H. Foley?

  How's the steak cooked?

• 53:54Speaker 03

  Medium rare.

• 53:55H. Foley?

  Medium rare.

• 53:55Speaker 03

With, this is how I order it. Hey, can I have it medium rare, but can you give me an element of Pittsburgh black and blue on the outside char?

• 54:03H. Foley?

  Love that, I love that.

• 54:04Speaker 01

  He's a gentleman, he's a gentleman.

• 54:05H. Foley?

Little crisp on the outside. Ribeyes do that the best.

• 54:08Speaker 03

  I agree.

• 54:08Speaker 01

In what world are you not picking up a check now?

• 54:10H. Foley?

  Yes.

• 54:11Speaker 03

  None.

• 54:11Speaker 01

  None.

• 54:12Speaker 03

  Uh, my dad.

• 54:13Speaker 01

  Really?

• 54:13H. Foley?

  Really?

• 54:14Speaker 03

  He won't let me.

• 54:14Speaker 01

  Good for fucking him, dude.

• 54:16Speaker 03

Only place in my life. I, I think I have picked up every check, by the way, back to who I was as a kid. I picked up every check since I was 13.

• 54:25Speaker 01

  Yeah.

• 54:25Speaker 03

  Except for-

• 54:26Speaker 01

Fucking had that cash on you dude, what the fuck?

• 54:28Speaker 03

  Except for my father.

• 54:29Speaker 01

  Really?

• 54:30H. Foley?

  No shit.

• 54:30Speaker 03

And I wouldn't, and I wouldn't even consider it because he would deem it disrespectful if I went for the check.

• 54:34H. Foley?

Understand. Very Tony Soprano of him. I respect that.

• 54:37Speaker 01

  Huh.

• 54:37H. Foley?

Do you bring any leftovers home from the restaurant?

• 54:39Speaker 03

  No.

• 54:40H. Foley?

  Never?

• 54:40Speaker 03

  Not me.

• 54:41H. Foley?

  Never?

• 54:42Speaker 03

  No.

• 54:42Speaker 01

Good for you. This guy is, this guy's fucking bulletproof.

• 54:45H. Foley?

I mean- Any fireworks at the house right now?

• 54:49Speaker 03

  You mean firearms or fireworks?

• 54:50H. Foley?

  No, no fireworks.

• 54:51Speaker 03

  Like fireworks?

• 54:52Speaker 01

  Yeah.

• 54:52H. Foley?

  Yeah.

• 54:53Speaker 01

  Any firearms?

• 54:53Speaker 03

  No.

• 54:54Speaker 01

What TV show are you watching? Any, any, any guilty pleasure?

• 54:57H. Foley?

What, you think he's watching Moonlighting?

• 54:59Speaker 03

I'm predominantly sports and I'll watch documentaries.

• 55:01Speaker 01

  Okay.

• 55:02Speaker 03

  For that kind of leisure.

• 55:03Speaker 01

  Very good.

• 55:04Speaker 03

  So...

• 55:04Speaker 01

Huh. I mean, you open your eyes underwater when you're in the pool?

• 55:07Speaker 03

  Yes.

• 55:08Speaker 01

  This guy's a dirtbag. That's all I got.

• 55:10H. Foley?

What, you're really gonna call him trash?

• 55:13Speaker 03

Guys, I need, I'm not leaving until ever, you got a fucking bunch of shit on your screens and paper.

• 55:17Speaker 01

  We have 10,000 questions.

• 55:19Speaker 03

  Go!

• 55:19Speaker 01

Are there, are there any trophies on display at your house at the moment?

• 55:22Speaker 03

  No, no.

• 55:23Speaker 01

  Okay.

• 55:23Speaker 03

  Are you crazy?

• 55:24Speaker 01

  What was the last-

• 55:24Speaker 03

  A, I didn't get any.

• 55:25Speaker 01

  Sure.

• 55:26Speaker 03

  B, who the fu- what?

• 55:28Speaker 01

  Will you eat-

• 55:28Speaker 03

You want me to talk about yesterday?

• 55:30H. Foley?

Will you eat in the car?

• 55:31Speaker 01

  That's good.

• 55:32Speaker 03

  What?

• 55:32H. Foley?

Will you eat in the car?

• 55:33Speaker 03

  Of course.

• 55:34Speaker 01

He's not driving. He's got, he's got a fucking Pittsburgh state back there.

• 55:37H. Foley?

Will you stop and do any fast food ever?

• 55:40Speaker 03

I've really gotten a lot healthier.

• 55:42H. Foley?

  Okay.

• 55:43Speaker 03

  That being said-

• 55:43H. Foley?

  Talk to me! Gary!

• 55:46Speaker 03

As I sit here with you right now-

• 55:47H. Foley?

  Yes!

• 55:47Speaker 03

When you asked me that question-

• 55:48H. Foley?

  Yes!

• 55:49Speaker 03

Do you know what my chemicals just did?

• 55:51H. Foley?

  Your chemicals?

• 55:52Speaker 03

Like my body, what I thought, what I felt?

• 55:54H. Foley?

  Sure.

• 55:54Speaker 03

I'm like, I have to go to White Castle.

• 55:56Speaker 01

  Yeah, White Castle?

• 55:57Speaker 03

White Castle is so fucking insane.

• 56:00H. Foley?

He might be trash. Holy shit.

• 56:01Speaker 03

Like White Castle, eating six burgers quickly that make you shit your pants immediately, I think is an American pastime.

• 56:10Speaker 01

  Sure.

• 56:11Speaker 03

  It's an American fucking pastime.

• 56:13Speaker 01

Uh, how many cellphones do you have?

• 56:14Speaker 03

  One.

• 56:15Speaker 01

One. When was the last time you were on a boat and where was it?

• 56:18Speaker 03

When was the last time I was on a boat? Uh, Mona and I were in, uh, the Amalfi Coast.

• 56:23H. Foley?

  I've heard of it.

• 56:23Speaker 03

  I've seen pictures.

• 56:25Speaker 01

  Okay.

• 56:26H. Foley?

  Is that near Long Beach?

• 56:30Speaker 03

  A little closer to Wildwood.

• 56:31H. Foley?

Ever been bitten by a dog or wildlife?

• 56:32Speaker 01

  North Wildwood guy.

• 56:33H. Foley?

Ever been bitten by a dog or wildlife?

• 56:35Speaker 03

  Yes.

• 56:36H. Foley?

  Okay.

• 56:36Speaker 03

  Multiple times.

• 56:37H. Foley?

  What was it?

• 56:37Speaker 03

Scared of dogs profusely because of it.

• 56:40H. Foley?

  Okay.

• 56:40Speaker 03

  A German Shepherd.

• 56:41H. Foley?

  Ooh, don't get ya.

• 56:43Speaker 03

It scared the fuck out of me. I've hated dogs my whole life.

• 56:46H. Foley?

  Will you wear colored contacts?

• 56:49Speaker 03

Never. Are you out of your fucking mind?

• 56:52Speaker 01

  Uh, what is...

• 56:53Speaker 03

You're... The better question is, would you punch someone who's wearing colored contacts in the dick?

• 56:59H. Foley?

Would you hire anybody that had colored contacts?

• 57:01Speaker 01

I got cat eyes. You're hired. You got the job.

• 57:05Speaker 03

In my, in my career of life, I would only hook up with a girl wearing colored contacts. Nothing else with colored contacts.

• 57:13Speaker 01

  Uh-huh, let me see.

• 57:15H. Foley?

You ever had a quail egg?

• 57:16Speaker 03

Yeah, of course. I eat very bougie, because then my career, for people that know it, I came and dominated the wine industry in my twenties. I went from dirt kid to being in fucking chateaus, eating foie gras and sweetbreads and quail eggs with fucking eighth-generation fucking trillionaires making wine, because I was such a big buyer and seller in America.

• 57:38Speaker 01

  No shit.

• 57:39Speaker 03

  It was a fucking brainfuck.

• 57:40H. Foley?

  Foley gras?

• 57:41Speaker 03

It was like fucking, it was like fucking Jazzy Jeff and the Fresh Prince going to like, you know, like, you know, like, just, no, it was more of the going to fucking Beverly Hills, right? Like, Fresh Prince of Bel-Air, like, true Bel-Air life. It was such a hard turn.

• 57:54H. Foley?

Foley gras and pate, they really got my number.

• 57:56Speaker 03

I'm obsessed with foie gras. I would eat the fuck out of foie gras.

• 57:59H. Foley?

Every day, I would cry. When we were in Paris for a week?

• 58:01Speaker 03

With a little soft turn, oh, fuck me.

• 58:02H. Foley?

We were in Paris for a week, I ate it every single day, like, an animal.

• 58:04Speaker 03

I would literally eat foie gras every meal of my life I liked it that much. The pate or the fucking pancered.

• 58:10H. Foley?

Little toast point, glass of wine, how you doin'?

• 58:13Speaker 01

  Will you do karaoke?

• 58:14Speaker 03

  No.

• 58:15Speaker 01

  No.

• 58:15Speaker 03

  I can't sing for shit.

• 58:16Speaker 01

  Okay.

• 58:17H. Foley?

Do you keep the boxes of things? Like, if you get a new iPhone, do you keep the box? Okay?

• 58:21Speaker 01

I thought he was gonna hit ya.

• 58:23Speaker 03

By the way, I'm more likely to get rid of the box before I actually get home...

• 58:26Speaker 01

  Really?

• 58:27Speaker 03

  ...than keeping a box.

• 58:28Speaker 01

Now, if you need a new, you need a new cellphone...

• 58:30Speaker 03

  My admin.

• 58:31Speaker 01

  Somebody does that.

• 58:31Speaker 03

  I have three full-time admins.

• 58:33H. Foley?

  Oh, yeah.

• 58:34Speaker 01

  Get you a job.

• 58:36H. Foley?

You're not going to get anything. You're not like running to the apple store.

• 58:39Speaker 01

Who's doing the food shopping now? Somebody.

• 58:40Speaker 03

  Mona.

• 58:41Speaker 01

  Mona, she'll go.

• 58:42Speaker 03

But it's, we live in New York City. It's all fucking fresh direct this.

• 58:44H. Foley?

You guys have a chef or anything like that at the house?

• 58:47Speaker 03

For special occasions. You're not an everyday.

• 58:48H. Foley?

  Otherwise, she handles it?

• 58:50Speaker 03

  Uh huh.

• 58:51H. Foley?

  That's pretty good.

• 58:51Speaker 01

  That's pretty good.

• 58:52Speaker 03

I also eat out every night of my life.

• 58:54Speaker 01

  Yeah.

• 58:54Speaker 03

I work. I work, I get home at 10 or 11pm every day.

• 58:57H. Foley?

So when you say eat out, you mean like you get something ordered in or you guys go, you have a dinner or something?

• 59:01Speaker 03

  I have a dinner.

• 59:02H. Foley?

  You have a dinner.

• 59:03Speaker 01

When was the last time you shut down a restaurant?

• 59:05Speaker 03

Well, I own a bunch of restaurants in New York.

• 59:07H. Foley?

  I didn't know that.

• 59:08Speaker 01

What do you got, White Castle?

• 59:10Speaker 03

I don't know about Flyfish Club?

• 59:11Speaker 01

  No.

• 59:11H. Foley?

  No.

• 59:12Speaker 01

  We're not cool.

• 59:13Speaker 03

Guys, I'm taking you to Flyfish Club.

• 59:15H. Foley?

  I didn't know that.

• 59:16Speaker 03

It's a private club. You can't get in, but I'll get you.

• 59:17Speaker 01

Do you know Flyfish? He's our, he's our resident young rich kid.

• 59:20Speaker 02

I think I seen it on Instagram.

• 59:21Speaker 01

  Damn.

• 59:22Speaker 02

  Not cooling up.

• 59:23Speaker 01

  You're not even cooling up?

• 59:24Speaker 02

  Fuck.

• 59:24Speaker 01

We gotta start rolling with a better crew.

• 59:26H. Foley?

What don't you have your fingers in?

• 59:28Speaker 03

  Not much.

• 59:29Speaker 01

  God damn.

• 59:30Speaker 03

  I'm very, very, very.

• 59:31Speaker 01

I'm sorry to cut you off.

• 59:32Speaker 03

No, you go. You go. Please.

• 59:34Speaker 01

Is there anywhere you can't go?

• 59:35Speaker 03

  Of course. Foxborough, Massachusetts.

• 59:39Speaker 01

Respect that. Guy holds a grudge.

• 59:41H. Foley?

  Of course.

• 59:42Speaker 03

I fucking hate those motherfuckers. I hate the Patriots. Watching Bill Belichick completely fall apart as a human being.

• 59:50Speaker 01

I got a, as Philly fans, as Eagles fans?

• 59:52Speaker 03

Is one of the great moments of my life.

• 59:53H. Foley?

  Fuck, because of the girl?

• 59:54Speaker 03

  He's a fucking mess.

• 59:56Speaker 01

No, he's, yeah, he's, dude, he could've just went out on top.

• 59:58Speaker 03

And by the way, he couldn't have went out on top. He's been completely exposed. Tom Brady's his whole life. Bill Belichick has 10 football seasons where Tom Brady wasn't his coach.

• 1:00:07Speaker 01

  Mm-hmm.

• 1:00:08Speaker 03

And he has one playoff victory.

• 1:00:10H. Foley?

  Yeah, it's true.

• 1:00:10Speaker 03

  One playoff victory.

• 1:00:11Speaker 01

  Damn.

• 1:00:13Speaker 03

Tom Brady, to remind you, went to another team.

• 1:00:16H. Foley?

  Won the Super Bowl.

• 1:00:17Speaker 03

Won the Super Bowl as a 40 fucking plus year old.

• 1:00:19Speaker 01

  You really don't like Belichick.

• 1:00:21Speaker 03

I hate. I hate Bill Belichick. And you know why? Because he hated me first. The way he treats Jet fans, fuck him.

• 1:00:31H. Foley?

  That's very true.

• 1:00:32Speaker 03

And by the way, you know why I love Eagle fans?

• 1:00:33Speaker 01

  Why?

• 1:00:34Speaker 03

  Because fuck the Giants.

• 1:00:35Speaker 01

Yeah, I'm right there with you. Right there with you.

• 1:00:38H. Foley?

  Go Birds. You like coleslaw?

• 1:00:40Speaker 03

  Yes.

• 1:00:41H. Foley?

  Okay.

• 1:00:41Speaker 03

All versions. Shitty like $3 fucked up deli in the fucking ghetto version.

• 1:00:46H. Foley?

  Okay.

• 1:00:47Speaker 03

All the way to bougie fucking $80 version in the fucking country club. I like all coleslaw.

• 1:00:52H. Foley?

  I respect that.

• 1:00:53Speaker 01

Do you know how to tie a tie?

• 1:00:54Speaker 03

  Yes.

• 1:00:54Speaker 01

  Okay.

• 1:00:55Speaker 03

  Poorly.

• 1:00:55Speaker 01

  Sure.

• 1:00:55H. Foley?

  Co tie?

• 1:00:56Speaker 03

Solidly. Bowtie clipping in the fucking back? Yes.

• 1:01:00Speaker 01

Okay. I like that name. Have you ever written your name in wet cement?

• 1:01:04Speaker 03

  Yes.

• 1:01:05Speaker 01

Have you ever gone ghost hunting?

• 1:01:07Speaker 03

  No.

• 1:01:08Speaker 01

Do you know any of the lyrics from the battles from Eight Mile?

• 1:01:11Speaker 03

Yes, the fucking... In fact, it's one of my most significant pieces of content.

• 1:01:15Speaker 01

  Really?

• 1:01:17Speaker 03

I believe the greatest transition moment in verbal history is, "But I know something about you."

• 1:01:25Speaker 01

  Sure, yeah, yeah, yeah, yeah.

• 1:01:26Speaker 03

I... How about this? I can't believe this is happening. I'm gonna break something down for you. Do you know I live my life with that lyric in my head? That when someone in real life tries to big time me or fuck with me, that in my life, like a fucking movie, literally, that lyric with that beat behind it...

• 1:01:52Speaker 01

  This guy's nuts.

• 1:01:53Speaker 03

...pops up. And it's really like that nuts.

• 1:01:57Speaker 01

  Damn.

• 1:01:57Speaker 03

I live with humility. I don't think I'm anybody. I'm very proud of what I've accomplished.

• 1:02:03Speaker 01

  Yeah, yeah, yeah.

• 1:02:04Speaker 03

  Honestly, I like...

• 1:02:04H. Foley?

You're somebody, baby. I'll tell you that right now.

• 1:02:06Speaker 01

  You're my new best friend.

• 1:02:07H. Foley?

  What are you talking about?

• 1:02:08Speaker 03

I like being a good guy. I really identify that. I don't think any of the things I've pulled off professionally or publicly mean anything.

• 1:02:16Speaker 01

  Damn.

• 1:02:16Speaker 03

And I mean this because I think when Prince died, Richard Pryor, back to why I like...

• 1:02:20Speaker 01

  Yeah.

• 1:02:20Speaker 03

...why I fuck with comedians. Richard Pryor is top five hero of mine as a kid.

• 1:02:24Speaker 01

  Damn.

• 1:02:25Speaker 03

I... When I got my car, I didn't listen to music like the cool kids. It was tape Richard Pryor stand-up. Jerky Boys.

• 1:02:31Speaker 01

  Yeah.

• 1:02:32Speaker 03

  Right? I already referenced Eddie.

• 1:02:36Speaker 03

When I watched those guys die and they get 24 hours of love and then everyone moves on with their life, I'm like, "That shit isn't real."

• 1:02:43Speaker 01

  Yeah.

• 1:02:43Speaker 03

This shit that we're... You know this, what these followers, these dollars? It's not fucking real. Anyway, I live with humility. I... What that means, though, is I don't put any other human on a pedestal.

• 1:02:55Speaker 01

  Even playing field?

• 1:02:56Speaker 03

No one. Everyone else sucks too.

• 1:03:00H. Foley?

You just told me I was good looking in high school.

• 1:03:04Speaker 03

By the way, you were very good looking in high school. Does everyone know that?

• 1:03:09Speaker 01

I don't think we are living in the past anymore. Eyes forward, Gary.

• 1:03:12Speaker 03

I'm gonna look at it, I'm really zoned in on it, because you had that 90, you look a little bit like Rick Chance, who was very good looking in my high school, and he fucked. And that was rare in the fucking early 90s. Like, it's not like it is now. Now, everyone does it in high school, but like, it was rare.

• 1:03:29H. Foley?

  Any turquoise jewelry?

• 1:03:34H. Foley?

I mean, yeah, we gotta call it.

• 1:03:36Speaker 01

  Yeah.

• 1:03:36Speaker 03

  Why?

• 1:03:37Speaker 01

Okay, I mean, we can still keep going, for sure.

• 1:03:40Speaker 03

Go. Two more, three more, six more. This is interesting to me.

• 1:03:42Speaker 01

Okay, have you ever washed a pair of shoes in the washing machine?

• 1:03:44Speaker 03

  Yes.

• 1:03:45Speaker 01

Damn, I just tried it, it didn't work. Uh, have you ever owned a standalone hot tub?

• 1:03:50Speaker 03

  No.

• 1:03:50Speaker 01

No? Is there any purchase you wish you had back? Like, when you started making money, obviously...

• 1:03:55Speaker 03

  I don't give a shit about stuff.

• 1:03:56Speaker 01

Yeah. But I'm saying, would you have like, you bought like a wave runner or something, you're like, why the fuck did I do that?

• 1:04:00Speaker 03

  I didn't buy stuff.

• 1:04:01Speaker 01

  Never bought anything.

• 1:04:02H. Foley?

  Ever have breakfast in bed?

• 1:04:03Speaker 03

  Yes.

• 1:04:04H. Foley?

  Hmm, gentlemen. Vacation?

• 1:04:07Speaker 03

During vacation or in regular life?

• 1:04:09H. Foley?

  Yeah.

• 1:04:09Speaker 03

  Both.

• 1:04:10H. Foley?

  No kidding?

• 1:04:10Speaker 03

  Yep.

• 1:04:11Speaker 01

  What, do you, uh...

• 1:04:12H. Foley?

  Taking the morning off, huh?

• 1:04:14Speaker 01

  Late night.

• 1:04:15Speaker 03

  Sunday?

• 1:04:16H. Foley?

  Sunday, of course.

• 1:04:17Speaker 03

  On Easter Sunday?

• 1:04:18Speaker 01

  On Easter Sunday.

• 1:04:18Speaker 03

Being Jewish, having no obligations, it was perfect.

• 1:04:21H. Foley?

What are you reading right now? You reading anything?

• 1:04:22Speaker 03

I don't read books. I read the world. What I do for a living, what Gary Vee is, what I've been, even the post I put this morning about, talking about the ear pods 15 years ago, you know? I watch society. I'm paying atten- I read 40,000 tweets and reddits and Substacks comments about why people fuck with LaBubu, why Baggy closes in again, like when we were in the 90s, not tight jeans, why New Balances are doing well, better than Air Force Ones 4 years ago, why people are watching Love Island, why comedians are crushing, oh, distribution's changing Hulu, Netflix, they have, it's back to HBO on steroids. Like, I watch culture.

• 1:05:03H. Foley?

  Gotcha.

• 1:05:05Speaker 01

  Yeah.

• 1:05:05H. Foley?

  Any magazines in the bathroom?

• 1:05:08Speaker 03

I mean, historically, it was Life. Now, the fucking phone is, the phone is the magazine.

• 1:05:13H. Foley?

  Right, yeah.

• 1:05:14Speaker 01

  Huh.

• 1:05:15H. Foley?

  Swim in a river?

• 1:05:16Speaker 03

  Yep.

• 1:05:17H. Foley?

Will you buzz the attendant on an airplane if you need something?

• 1:05:20Speaker 03

  Yeah.

• 1:05:20H. Foley?

  Okay.

• 1:05:21Speaker 03

  I've done that.

• 1:05:21H. Foley?

  Alright.

• 1:05:22Speaker 01

How much do you, uh, stay in a hotel, what do you leave for the cleaning staff, tip-wise?

• 1:05:26Speaker 03

  Hundred.

• 1:05:28H. Foley?

  Hondo.

• 1:05:28Speaker 03

  Hondo.

• 1:05:31Speaker 01

  Good for you.

• 1:05:32Speaker 03

  You know why?

• 1:05:32H. Foley?

  Mm-hmm.

• 1:05:33Speaker 03

  They're me.

• 1:05:34Speaker 01

Yeah, yeah, we do the same thing. Now that we have cash, I started tipping heavy for making up for lost time that I didn't have it.

• 1:05:40Speaker 03

  That's right.

• 1:05:40Speaker 01

  Yeah.

• 1:05:41H. Foley?

You don't sleep with your mouth open, do you?

• 1:05:44Speaker 03

I don't think so, because my breath is terrible in the morning, and I would assume if it was open, it'd be better.

• 1:05:49Speaker 01

  Yeah.

• 1:05:50Speaker 03

  Right?

• 1:05:51H. Foley?

  Hundred percent.

• 1:05:53Speaker 01

Have you ever tried to start a wave at a sporting event?

• 1:05:55Speaker 03

No, but I'm always in. I'm fucking pissed. In fact, it is a top seventeen pet peeve of mine. That is, if there's a proper wave going on, and you do not participate, you're a fuckface.

• 1:06:09Speaker 01

I understand that, for sure. I gotta give you that.

• 1:06:13H. Foley?

All right, when you're getting dressed and you're walking out of the house, is it socks, socks, shoe, shoes? Or sock, shoe, sock, shoe?

• 1:06:20Speaker 03

  Underwear, pants, shirt.

• 1:06:22Speaker 01

  Smart.

• 1:06:23H. Foley?

  Underwear, pants, shirt.

• 1:06:23Speaker 03

  Socks.

• 1:06:24Speaker 01

  Shoes.

• 1:06:25H. Foley?

Okay, all right. I like it. I like it.

• 1:06:29Speaker 01

Have you ever had a manicure or pedicure?

• 1:06:31Speaker 03

  Once or twice.

• 1:06:32Speaker 01

Yeah. When was the last time you had a massage?

• 1:06:36Speaker 03

Uh, actually, uh, with more, actually recently, but it's not, it's not often for me. On vacations, once or twice a year, max.

• 1:06:43H. Foley?

My last question is, if Kevin and I came over to the house right now.

• 1:06:47Speaker 03

  Yes.

• 1:06:47Speaker 01

  Can we?

• 1:06:49H. Foley?

You offer us a glass of water?

• 1:06:51Speaker 03

  Yes.

• 1:06:51H. Foley?

What would it be? Exactly. Would it be a bottle? Would it be a Brita? Would it be what?

• 1:06:55Speaker 01

  From the tap?

• 1:06:56Speaker 03

When I look at the plastic bottle that you're consuming from right now, I fear for your life. Damn.

• 1:07:03H. Foley?

  Okay.

• 1:07:03Speaker 01

You've got bigger problems than that.

• 1:07:05Speaker 03

  Bottle only.

• 1:07:06Speaker 01

  Mm-hmm.

• 1:07:06Speaker 03

  The end.

• 1:07:07Speaker 01

  Glass bottle.
