Chat to my friends on the handsome pod. Pretty little episode.

• 1:51Fortune Feimster?

Welcome to our pretty little episode for the handsome pod. It's Fortune Feimster.

• 1:56Mae Martin?

And me, Mae Martin. I was just like frantically pointing.

• 2:00Fortune Feimster?

How do you like, this is you.

• 2:02Mae Martin?

To be like, you start, you start. Yeah.

• 2:04Fortune Feimster?

I got you. I got you. Don't you worry.

• 2:07Mae Martin?

  Thank you.

• 2:08Fortune Feimster?

  How's it going?

• 2:09Mae Martin?

It's going well. I'm feeling good, feeling fresh. I did a workout. I did a sauna. But my air conditioning is broken and the way to fix it is for, is to apparently is to blast the heat all day.

• 2:22Fortune Feimster?

  Really?

• 2:22Mae Martin?

Yeah, to like melt. It's like frozen over or something. So they're

• 2:26Fortune Feimster?

  Oh, no.

• 2:27Mae Martin?

blasting the heat in my house and it's intense.

• 2:30Fortune Feimster?

It's like a sauna in your house now.

• 2:32Mae Martin?

Yeah, it's, it's super intense. How are you? You look very, um, smart, I think.

• 2:37Fortune Feimster?

  I do?

• 2:38Mae Martin?

  Yeah.

• 2:40Fortune Feimster?

I've been reading books. No, we know that's not true. Um, I'm good. Uh, I swam every day this week.

• 2:49Mae Martin?

  Yes.

• 2:50Fortune Feimster?

I did my treading water. Although one of the days I did make cinnamon rolls and I ate those in the pool.

• 2:57Mae Martin?

  While treading?

• 2:58Fortune Feimster?

  And then tread water.

• 3:00Mae Martin?

Oh, my God. That's impressive, I think.

• 3:02Fortune Feimster?

Yeah. So I felt like the, you know, I ate some I shouldn't and then I treaded to make up for it.

• 3:11Mae Martin?

Who says shouldn't, you know? What, what, did you get them, um, like pre-made and then you put them in the oven?

• 3:17Fortune Feimster?

Um, you know, like one of those, I'm sure is the unhealthiest of things in the can.

• 3:22Mae Martin?

Yes, I fucking, I love it.

• 3:24Fortune Feimster?

They're so good. I'm not gonna buy those again because I shouldn't be eating them, but they were there and, um,

• 3:31Mae Martin?

The thing about like not having the thing in your house that you want, like, cause I'm trying to quit smoking and I, I

• 3:41Mae Martin?

I do smoke, like I have to admit that I smoke like two or three cigarettes a day. And I'm trying to, so I got rid of all the cigarettes in my house. And then last night I smoked a butt of a cigarette from my cigarette butt. Like a sketchy little rat.

• 3:56Fortune Feimster?

Yeah, I mean, I guess it just takes time to to snap out of that, right?

• 4:01Mae Martin?

Yeah, like to form a new habit or whatever.

• 4:04Fortune Feimster?

  Have you quit before?

• 4:05Mae Martin?

Yeah, yeah, I quit for all of my twenties. Yeah, I just started again in the pandemic, really, and then I quit again when I was with Parv and then I started smoking again.

• 4:16Fortune Feimster?

  Is it an anxiety thing?

• 4:18Mae Martin?

It's, I think it's like a nihilism thing. It's just like, ah, fuck it. And and I do love it. I

• 4:24Fortune Feimster?

  Yeah.

• 4:25Mae Martin?

It's just the worst thing for you, but I do.

• 4:28Fortune Feimster?

  We're trying.

• 4:29Mae Martin?

  I'm trying, I'm trying.

• 4:30Fortune Feimster?

Nikki Glaser said she read some book that like, uh,

• 4:35Mae Martin?

  Everyone talks about this.

• 4:36Fortune Feimster?

That was alcohol. I think that was alcohol.

• 4:39Mae Martin?

But that too, yeah, I'm lucky. I've never really liked drinking that much. I like a stimulant, you know?

• 4:45Fortune Feimster?

  Right.

• 4:45Mae Martin?

Yeah, but that there is a book that everyone says you gotta read to quit smoking.

• 4:49Fortune Feimster?

Yeah, I've never smoked. I mean, you know, aside from like a drag or two in high school, which I probably didn't even, I don't even think I inhale.

• 5:01Fortune Feimster?

  I was just like this.

• 5:05Mae Martin?

I can imagine you smoking in like improv scenes, like mime smoking a lot. It just says a lot about a character the minute you.

• 5:12Fortune Feimster?

I because I've never smoked, I'm always like trying to um do the ash. What what is this called?

• 5:18Mae Martin?

  Oh, mime ashing it, yeah.

• 5:19Fortune Feimster?

Yeah, mime ashing it, because like that that'll be believable. But that, yeah, never, my vice is all food. I never gotten into the to the smoking and alcohol has never been an issue either.

• 5:33Mae Martin?

It's just so funny how they are interchangeable for each other. Like, it's just like, it's all the same, you know, and everybody's got their thing.

• 5:44Fortune Feimster?

We're just, none of us are perfect, you guys. We're just doing the best we can.

• 5:48Mae Martin?

We gotta self soothe somehow, and we're supposed to be living in little villages, just hanging out with our families, not living in these big scary metropolis's with information coming at us and.

• 5:59Fortune Feimster?

For you, you take a drag of a butt of a cigarette on the ground and I eat a cinnamon roll.

• 6:05Mae Martin?

  Okay, mine sounds worse.

• 6:09Fortune Feimster?

Let's say my cinnamon roll was also on the ground.

• 6:11Mae Martin?

  Okay, yeah, yeah.

• 6:12Fortune Feimster?

And I picked it up and ate it.

• 6:16Mae Martin?

  Yeah.

• 6:17Fortune Feimster?

Well, um, should we get to some questions?

• 6:19Mae Martin?

I would love to. I would love to.

• 6:21Speaker 04

  Hello, pretty little handsome cowboys.

• 6:24Fortune Feimster?

  Aww.

• 6:24Speaker 04

My name is Margot. I'm calling from the beautifully gay Hudson Valley in New York. And I'm wondering if you were putting together a handsome queer film festival, what would you include? What are some of your favorite nostalgic queer or queer-coded movies? What are your newer favorites? Excited to hear what you have to say.

• 6:47Fortune Feimster?

Oh, man, I hope you know more than I do. I feel like I'm so bad about, I have not watched enough gay stuff.

• 6:53Mae Martin?

Oh, really? Well, yeah, mine is, I like that Margot's also said queer-coded, because there are things that just feel gay.

• 7:00Fortune Feimster?

  What does that mean, though?

• 7:01Mae Martin?

  Okay, hocus pocus, feels gay.

• 7:03Fortune Feimster?

  What? That's gay-coded?

• 7:05Mae Martin?

Oh, for sure. It's like, very like drag queen-y, like, and it's sort of horny.

• 7:10Fortune Feimster?

  Oh, I see, undertones.

• 7:12Mae Martin?

A queer undertone, yeah, or for me, the witches with, uh, Angelica Huston.

• 7:16Fortune Feimster?

  Oh, yeah.

• 7:17Mae Martin?

I don't know, there's something gay about it, like, yeah, uh, and then actual queer stuff.

• 7:23Fortune Feimster?

  Thinking of those movies.

• 7:24Mae Martin?

I know, like, I'm literally buzzing, because those are all, all your formative hard-ons that you get.

• 7:31Fortune Feimster?

Well, you would have a genre at this film festival called gay-coded, and that these would be in that category.

• 7:38Mae Martin?

Movies in a way, like, we're sort of, yeah, that sounds weird, but you know what I mean, like, first crushes, kind of.

• 7:45Fortune Feimster?

  Okay.

• 7:49Fortune Feimster?

  Lady and the Tramp?

• 7:51Mae Martin?

Actually queer stuff, oh, you think those Siamese cats in Lady and the Tramp are licking each other?

• 7:57Fortune Feimster?

  Yeah, they're gay, so gay.

• 7:59Mae Martin?

Cat-buds. Um, have you seen Foxfire?

• 8:02Fortune Feimster?

  No, what's that?

• 8:03Mae Martin?

Oh, my god, I think it's nineties, early nineties or late eighties even, and it's, um, no, it must be nineties. Angelina Jolie, Jenny Shimizu, and it's about a group of teenage girls who kind of band together to rebel. There's like a sketchy teacher, and they end up living in this house together, and it's just like a moody, emo, kind of lesbianic movie, and I don't think anyone even kisses, but they like, yeah, to each other.

• 8:30Fortune Feimster?

  No kissing?

• 8:31Mae Martin?

I think maybe there is one kiss, but but Angelina Jolie is this rebel in her leather boots. And she tattoos them all and it's the hottest scene. They all get naked and she tattoos, she gives them all friendship tattoos. Anyway, so that's one.

• 8:45Fortune Feimster?

I liked the movie she did Gia back in the day.

• 8:48Mae Martin?

  Gia, one hundred percent.

• 8:50Fortune Feimster?

She's like, um, throwing herself against a fence.

• 8:53Mae Martin?

  Yes, of course, of course.

• 8:56Fortune Feimster?

That woke, that awoken some things in me.

• 8:58Mae Martin?

I'm sure that I've told this on the pod, but that I, I watched that one part of that VHS so much that just that part was like fuzzy. When you watch it, like it wore itself down.

• 9:11Mae Martin?

  Also, My Own Private Idaho.

• 9:13Fortune Feimster?

  Okay.

• 9:14Mae Martin?

Gus Vincent, River Phoenix and Keanu Reeves, really beautiful movie. Not tons of like explicit gay stuff, but they're, they play like sex workers and River is in love with Keanu. And it's just a beautiful movie.

• 9:30Fortune Feimster?

I gotta watch that again. I watched it a long time ago, but I wanna go back to that one.

• 9:35Mae Martin?

Yeah, it's really great. And then, oh, have you seen the Pee Wee Herman documentary?

• 9:39Fortune Feimster?

Oh, no, but I heard it's really good.

• 9:41Mae Martin?

Were you a fan? Like, was he important to you?

• 9:43Fortune Feimster?

I like, yeah, I mean, he, it wasn't like, I, I wasn't like obsessed with Pee Wee's Playhouse, but I, it was part of my growing up for sure.

• 9:52Mae Martin?

Right, right. Cause that, I, I, I was so deeply obsessed and then I, watching the documentary, he's talking about the, um, he was talking about being closeted and like, but finding ways to sort of represent queer culture.

• 10:06Fortune Feimster?

  Yeah.

• 10:07Mae Martin?

And covertly and whatever, but there's the Christmas special, Pee Wee Christmas special that, let me, I, I wanna read you the guest list of the guests that appeared on that Christmas special.

• 10:19Fortune Feimster?

  Okay.

• 10:19Mae Martin?

Because it's so gay. Okay. Yeah, you got Cher, you got Katie Lang, you got Little Richard, you got Grace Jones.

• 10:30Fortune Feimster?

  Okay.

• 10:31Mae Martin?

Frankie Avalon, Oprah Winfrey, like it, I, I don't know, it just, it was, it was so blatantly like a celebration of queer culture with like Grace Jones voguing and stuff, but.

• 10:43Fortune Feimster?

  That's cool.

• 10:44Mae Martin?

  Yeah, yeah.

• 10:45Fortune Feimster?

Uh, but I'm a cheerleader, that would have to be in there.

• 10:48Mae Martin?

  Hundred.

• 10:49Fortune Feimster?

That was a early days gay and that was eye opening. Shout out to Jamie Babbitt directing that.

• 10:56Mae Martin?

  Yes, Jamie Babbitt.

• 10:58Fortune Feimster?

Uh, Debs, remember that? That was a.

• 11:01Mae Martin?

  No, I'm writing that down.

• 11:03Fortune Feimster?

Um, that was early, early days back in the day. Um, the, a newer one, that Carol movie, that's gotta go in there.

• 11:11Mae Martin?

Oh, my God, Carol's gotta be on there. I love Carol.

• 11:13Fortune Feimster?

Oh, and the one with the fog. There's always fog.

• 11:16Mae Martin?

  The one with the fog.

• 11:18Fortune Feimster?

The one with a lot of fog and they were like, the Irish actress.

• 11:22Mae Martin?

  Yes.

• 11:23Fortune Feimster?

  And Emma, Emma Night, Emma.

• 11:25Mae Martin?

Yes, and I think SNL parodied it with a lot of.

• 11:29Fortune Feimster?

  Oh, really?

• 11:29Mae Martin?

  Longing glances.

• 11:31Fortune Feimster?

Yeah, a lot of that. It's a lot of tension.

• 11:33Mae Martin?

Yes, anything, uh, Rachel Weisz too, like The Favorite or.

• 11:38Fortune Feimster?

  Yeah.

• 11:38Mae Martin?

  Like, that's sort of queer.

• 11:40Fortune Feimster?

Well, we'd have a documentary section. We'd put Tig's documentary in there, Tig.

• 11:45Mae Martin?

  Yes.

• 11:45Fortune Feimster?

And Come See Me in the Good Light.

• 11:47Mae Martin?

I mean, while we're at it, do we just play all our stand-up specials?

• 11:50Fortune Feimster?

All of our stand-up specials for comedy part. That will be with But I'm a Cheerleader.

• 11:54Mae Martin?

Uh, Feel Good, One Mississippi, everything you've ever appeared in.

• 11:57Fortune Feimster?

  Yes.

• 11:58Mae Martin?

  Yeah.

• 11:58Fortune Feimster?

I mean, I feel like this is a pretty good festival so far.

• 12:01Mae Martin?

Yeah, this is pretty, this is a week-long festival that we're.

• 12:03Fortune Feimster?

And then we'll have some gay guys movies too, like, uh, The Birdcage or something.

• 12:08Mae Martin?

  The Birdcage. Oh, my God.

• 12:11Fortune Feimster?

Paris is Burning, that'll be part of the documentary.

• 12:14Mae Martin?

My Policeman, um, which was pretty good, I thought, with Harry Styles and.

• 12:20Fortune Feimster?

Oh, oh, yeah, yeah, that one. I like that one.

• 12:22Mae Martin?

  It's fun, isn't it?

• 12:23Fortune Feimster?

Uh, that movie Bottoms, we gotta put that in there. That was funny.

• 12:27Mae Martin?

In there, Rock Your Picture Show.

• 12:29Fortune Feimster?

That will be in the comedy section.

• 12:31Mae Martin?

But isn't it nice that like, well, when I was, yeah, right at the important age of, of puberty and like realizing my feelings and stuff, the only queer content was so traumatic. It was.

• 12:44Fortune Feimster?

  I know.

• 12:45Mae Martin?

  Boys Don't Cry.

• 12:46Fortune Feimster?

Boys Don't Cry, that's gotta be in there, but that was.

• 12:49Mae Martin?

  Oh, my God, Monster, like.

• 12:51Fortune Feimster?

  Yeah.

• 12:52Mae Martin?

It was heavy. It was like, oh, God.

• 12:55Fortune Feimster?

Well, because so many stories were, so there was so much going on that was heavy, you know, that was happening. It was, um, there's a lot of darkness. Before the light, you know?

• 13:08Mae Martin?

And still, and still, no. I might put that movie Monica in there with Trace Lassette.

• 13:14Fortune Feimster?

Oh, yeah, I haven't seen it, but.

• 13:16Mae Martin?

  Really beautiful.

• 13:17Fortune Feimster?

  That's a good festival.

• 13:18Mae Martin?

I know, I know, I could go on forever. I feel like we're, all the non-queer people listening to this are like, alright, we get it.

• 13:24Fortune Feimster?

Well, but some might check out some of these movies and they should.

• 13:27Mae Martin?

They should. Like, I love, uh, straight movies. They're all my favorite movies, in fact.

• 13:32Fortune Feimster?

  Straight movies are great.

• 13:33Mae Martin?

So maybe you'll love a queer movie.

• 13:42Mae Martin?

  Should we hear Margo's answer?

• 13:43Fortune Feimster?

  Yeah, let's do it.

• 13:45Speaker 04

My favorites. I love watching queer films with my partner. Shout out to you, babe. And a few of our favorites are A League of Their Own, Fried Green Tomatoes, The Incredibly True Adventures of Two Girls in Love, Desert Hearts, Mutt, and Portrait of a Lady on Fire.

• 14:06Fortune Feimster?

That's one I couldn't think of. Uh, how do I forget A League of Their Own and Fried Green Tomatoes? It's two of my favorite movies.

• 14:12Mae Martin?

I've never seen Fried Green Tomatoes.

• 14:13Fortune Feimster?

Fried Green Tomato is more gay-coded than gay. The book, I think, the, had more, uh, more, it was more on the nose than the movie. But man, the ten, I, I loved a movie back then about two ladies who you could tell really love each other.

• 14:32Mae Martin?

  Yeah.

• 14:32Fortune Feimster?

  But they're like fighting it.

• 14:34Mae Martin?

Yeah, I love it. I wanna see all, I, I've never heard of Mutt either. I'm gonna watch that. Um, thanks, Margo. Should we hear another question?

• 14:43Fortune Feimster?

  Let's do it.

• 14:44Speaker 05

Hello, handsome Tig, handsome Fortune, and handsome May. My name is Dominique from Columbus, Ohio. A city I think you should really heavily consider for your next live show. Just wanted to throw that out there.

• 14:56Fortune Feimster?

Would be a good place for him.

• 14:57Speaker 05

Here's my question. If you were to create a children's television show, what would your show be about?

• 15:03Fortune Feimster?

Oh, May, I feel like this is your will house.

• 15:06Mae Martin?

Dude, both of these questions, I'm, have you seen me light up?

• 15:09Fortune Feimster?

I know, you're beaming over there.

• 15:11Mae Martin?

Yeah, cuz I actually, the past few days, every day, I've said out loud to a different person, I wanna make a kids TV show.

• 15:18Fortune Feimster?

  I think you should.

• 15:19Mae Martin?

I think I should. Yeah, like with all magical animals and like, so my idea of Fortune, like, I'm worried by talking about it, I'm gonna suck the energy out of it, but it's like.

• 15:31Fortune Feimster?

Well, don't give all of it away.

• 15:32Mae Martin?

Okay, okay, yeah, yeah. Okay, broad strokes, cuz I don't know the story yet, but instead of working towards my next stand-up special, I'm thinking about a live kids special.

• 15:45Fortune Feimster?

Okay, oh, like how John Mulaney did the sack lunch, kid bun, sack bunch lunch kids or whatever?

• 15:52Mae Martin?

Oh, that was kinda like a Sesame Street type?

• 15:55Fortune Feimster?

It was like, um, you should watch it just to kinda see.

• 16:00Mae Martin?

I remember that. So this is more.

• 16:02Fortune Feimster?

Cuz it was a good format.

• 16:04Mae Martin?

Yeah. So this would be filmed live in a theater, and it'd be me telling one story, one epic story, but it has songs in it, like with a full band on stage, and it's got puppets.

• 16:16Fortune Feimster?

  Oh, yeah.

• 16:17Mae Martin?

Puppets acted out, and I interact with the puppets and with the kids, and I'm like telling the story, and I think it's, I wanna base it on this, um, children's book that my dad wrote about, like, the stuffed animals I had growing up, like.

• 16:28Fortune Feimster?

  Oh, yeah?

• 16:29Mae Martin?

  These wicked characters and.

• 16:31Fortune Feimster?

  Oh, I love that.

• 16:32Mae Martin?

  Yeah.

• 16:33Fortune Feimster?

Your, your imagination lends itself to that kinda fanciful world, I feel like.

• 16:38Mae Martin?

  Yeah.

• 16:38Fortune Feimster?

I'm, I'm like silly, uh, that's where my inner child comes through, but I don't have the, um, you know, I'm not, I'm not creating these worlds in my head that's, that you do.

• 16:50Mae Martin?

I think it's a, it's like a British whimsical thing that my dad imparted on me, it's like a lot of like Narnia and that.

• 16:58Fortune Feimster?

  Yeah.

• 16:58Mae Martin?

  Yeah, yeah, yeah.

• 16:59Fortune Feimster?

But that's what kids love, are these like worlds that are made up. My friend Chris Colfer wrote this whole series of books, like. Um, that he just created this world uh that of these kids books that people love. And I just can't imagine coming up with these kind of things.

• 17:19Mae Martin?

I wanna read those and I wanna one day meet Chris Colfer cuz I'm a huge fan.

• 17:25Fortune Feimster?

Oh, I didn't know that. I'll have to get him to ask a question. He's the loveliest of people.

• 17:30Mae Martin?

  And also.

• 17:31Fortune Feimster?

I will happily introduce you. And what?

• 17:34Mae Martin?

He's recently got ripped. Not to objectify him, but I wanna ask him about his arm regime.

• 17:39Fortune Feimster?

  All right.

• 17:40Mae Martin?

Yeah. Maybe we could all have dinner or something. I really, yeah, I feel.

• 17:45Fortune Feimster?

He would love it. He's one of the nicest people ever.

• 17:48Mae Martin?

  He seems like it, yeah.

• 17:49Fortune Feimster?

So, yeah, I think we go with your idea. Um, my idea would, I I've tried to create an animated show. I actually had a animated um idea that got bought um that we were paid to write the pilot for. I wrote it with this uh really fantastic writer and they had an animator do all the characters. And I was like so pumped about it. I thought it was some of my best work.

• 18:16Mae Martin?

  Yes.

Um, but you know, it came at a time where the people, the company that bought it, the their whole department folded. The the whole channel folded.

• 18:27Mae Martin?

  Yeah.

• 18:27Fortune Feimster?

And then, you know, to try to take an idea that started to evolve and resell it is not the easiest. But um it was such a cool, um, it was based on my life, but not like, but very broad. Also, my co-writer's life as well. And um, I was really proud of it. And it had, it was such a, and seeing the animated versions of it.

• 18:50Mae Martin?

Oh, did you got that far to actually?

• 18:53Fortune Feimster?

Yeah, we wrote, we wrote the pilot and they they they drew, we had a really talented um animator draw all the the main characters and made like this lookbook that was really cool.

• 19:07Mae Martin?

  That's amazing.

• 19:08Fortune Feimster?

So I I think that would have been a cool thing and you never know, maybe it will pop back around someday.

• 19:13Mae Martin?

Yeah, all those things, they never go anywhere. Yeah, let's hear um Dominique's answer.

• 19:19Speaker 05

For me, I would want it to be about pop art and music, specifically from the eighties, nineties era.

• 19:28Speaker 05

But I would want it to be in a Peewee's Playhouse style of way where the kids would not only see the pictures and hear the music, but actually get to be a part of it. So they could jump into the music and ride the notes to see the notes that make up the song, be a part of the music videos, bringing in images from Takashi Murakami and Andy Warhol, so that they could see the brushstrokes and see every little part of the picture and really get to be a part of the art. Yeah.

• 19:58Mae Martin?

  Whoa.

• 19:59Fortune Feimster?

  That's very creative, huh?

• 20:01Mae Martin?

Very. I'm trying to visualize it. So it's like a video of art being created and there's music and the kids can kind of...

• 20:11Fortune Feimster?

  She's gonna ride the notes?

• 20:12Mae Martin?

Ride the notes. Is it animated?

• 20:16Fortune Feimster?

  It feels like it.

• 20:17Mae Martin?

I don't want to pin Dominique down or make her... Like, yeah, it sounds wildly creative and good. It feels like maybe I need to act fast because it feels like everyone's being inspired by this Peewee documentary.

• 20:30Fortune Feimster?

  Oh, right.

• 20:31Mae Martin?

Everyone's gonna pitch their own Peewee's Playhouse and I gotta move quick.

• 20:35Fortune Feimster?

Well, because, you know, some people just have that gift of just creating like such unique whimsical things, and he certainly did. So, you know, other people were like, wait, why am I not doing that?

• 20:48Mae Martin?

  Yeah.

• 20:49Fortune Feimster?

Yeah, mine's more reality-based, but mine was set in the 90s, though. I do agree with her of that time period because I like the nostalgia.

• 20:58Mae Martin?

  Oh, yeah.

• 20:58Fortune Feimster?

Of that time period and the less tech and more imagination.

• 21:03Mae Martin?

A hundred percent. It's hard. So storytelling with all the tech that we have now.

• 21:08Fortune Feimster?

  Yeah.

• 21:09Mae Martin?

Now it feels colder. It's easier to tell a story where people don't know where you are all the time and there's... Yeah.

• 21:16Fortune Feimster?

The days of leaving your house and not coming back till nighttime and...

• 21:20Mae Martin?

  Oh, the best.

• 21:22Fortune Feimster?

Playing and being ridiculous and silly, those were the simpler days. I was back home recently and was driving around my little hometown and it just made me think about me as a kid and... Walking home from school and just like what a innocent time it felt like.

• 21:40Mae Martin?

Yeah, we've got to cultivate those times, but it takes real discipline. Like, all I do is fantasize about going for a week somewhere, leaving my phone at home with a friend, like, you know.

• 21:54Fortune Feimster?

  Yeah.

• 21:54Mae Martin?

It's like, I think it, you'd need like a real detox and there'd be like real withdrawal at first.

• 22:00Fortune Feimster?

Mm hmm. I see you doing that in like a Joshua Tree situation.

• 22:04Mae Martin?

That would be great, but I'm severely addicted. Like, I, I need someone there holding me accountable, like, taking my phone away from me.

• 22:11Fortune Feimster?

  Yeah.

• 22:12Mae Martin?

  Well, this is a pleasure.

• 22:14Fortune Feimster?

Yeah, fun times. I love these questions.

• 22:17Mae Martin?

Me too. They're exactly what I want to talk about, actually.

• 22:20Fortune Feimster?

  Yeah.

• 22:21Mae Martin?

Um, what do you have coming up? Fortunately, aside from your birthday.

• 22:24Fortune Feimster?

My birthday is around the corner on July 1st. That's exciting. I don't have any plans and that's all good with me. Everyone's like, why do you not have any plans? I'm like, not even worried about it.

• 22:34Mae Martin?

  Yeah.

• 22:34Fortune Feimster?

Uh, I'm headed to Lincoln, California, actually, this evening. Uh, that's my Sacramento stop. Uh, the casino at Thunder Valley. Uh, and then July is pretty light for me. I'm just doing, uh, Edmonton, uh, in Canada with Mateo Lane and, um, and then nothing till Spokane, Washington. I'm, July and August, I'm kind of taking it easy and I'm pretty stoked about that.

• 23:00Mae Martin?

  Me too.

• 23:01Fortune Feimster?

Oh, and I'm gonna do Pride in Iceland.

• 23:04Mae Martin?

  No.

• 23:05Fortune Feimster?

Yeah, I'm so stoked for that in August, early August.

• 23:09Mae Martin?

  What? That's incredible.

• 23:11Fortune Feimster?

  I cannot wait.

• 23:12Mae Martin?

  Have you been?

• 23:13Fortune Feimster?

  Never been.

• 23:14Mae Martin?

Okay, we'll talk about it another.

• 23:15Fortune Feimster?

  All right.

• 23:16Mae Martin?

Yeah, it's the best place. Okay, wow. And I'm also, it's, yeah, the summer's really light for me, so just check out, uh, maymartinmusic.com. I've got, uh, two new songs out right now and, um, you know, music dates pop up, but other than that, yeah, just check out Feel Good on Netflix or anything like that.

• 23:36Fortune Feimster?

Oh, yeah, my season two of Foo Bar is out on Netflix, too.

• 23:38Mae Martin?

  Yes. Yeah, binge that.

• 23:40Fortune Feimster?

  I'm an action star, baby.
