• 0:44Matt Farah?

Make sure you and them get Off the Record. And if you, man, every month, every month, every week, somebody hits me up and says, "Off the Record saved my backside." They've saved my backside a whole bunch. They're going to keep you out there on the road. OfftheRecord.com/tst. Let's get it going. Yeah, I don't know, I talked to Spike, I did his show to whore out the NSX. He's like, "Can you come to a show?" I was like, "If I can spend 20 minutes talking about how nice my own car is, then I will." But he said he had it right before me, the three-week chest congestion that just doesn't go away. Wow. That's what it is. Well, I'm now at two weeks in a day.

• 1:29Matt Farah?

You're two-thirds of the way through it. So I'll be fine in six to seven days. January. Yeah, new year, new, now I'm having a chest congestion. I hope so. That's a long time. You tend to have a very resilient immune system. You do. I don't get sick very often at all. Yeah, I know, it's weird. That's a new one for me. But hi, everybody, welcome to the program. I hope everyone's having a nice day, whatever the fuck day it is today. Actually, I mean that in the sense that I don't know what day this episode will go up. It was a tomato. But also, didn't really know what day it was today either. True. And that seems silly for most people to not know what day it is, but when you have two businesses that both just exist all the time. Doesn't matter what day it is.

• 2:14Speaker 01

  So true.

• 2:15Matt Farah?

It doesn't matter what day it is in fucking years.

• 2:17Speaker 01

Yeah, sometimes you're like, you wanna do a show on Sunday? I'm like, sure.

• 2:20Matt Farah?

  Yeah, why not?

• 2:21Speaker 01

  We can.

• 2:22Matt Farah?

Yeah. What does Sunday mean to us? Absolutely nothing.

• 2:24Speaker 01

  Yeah.

• 2:25Matt Farah?

It's actually kinda nice. You get to vacation on weekdays. You get to do things at, you know, or at least when there's theoretically less people doing them.

• 2:34Speaker 01

  Yeah, definitely.

• 2:35Matt Farah?

That is a benefit of the, cuz the making your own schedule is a double edged sword. Right?

• 2:41Speaker 01

  Right.

• 2:41Matt Farah?

On the one hand, like, you don't have to ask nobody to go anywhere. On the other hand, you just work so much more.

• 2:47Speaker 01

I've, I've never heard an entrepreneur person, self-employed person, say the opposite. Like, everyone's just like, you work more than you did.

• 2:54Matt Farah?

You work more all the time.

• 2:55Speaker 01

Way more than forty hours, yeah.

• 2:55Matt Farah?

Yeah. Your whole life just becomes it, uh, which is totally fine, but like, that's just what happens.

• 3:01Speaker 01

  Mm-hmm.

• 3:01Matt Farah?

The, the flip side is, I can go on vacation when your fucking kids won't be there.

• 3:06Speaker 01

  Right.

• 3:06Matt Farah?

  Right?

• 3:07Speaker 01

  Yeah.

• 3:07Matt Farah?

  That's what's up.

• 3:08Speaker 01

I can go to the doctor's office when you're not there.

• 3:11Matt Farah?

Yeah. And then, and occasionally I can't, you know, occasionally I have to do things when other people do them. It's horrible. You know?

• 3:20Speaker 01

  Yeah.

• 3:20Matt Farah?

  Like, oh fuck.

• 3:21Speaker 01

Going to Costco at 6:00 PM, you go, oh no.

• 3:23Matt Farah?

Like, if we were really fucking smart, like, if I, you know, if I had my own family and, uh, you know, like, Down family, you know what I mean?

• 3:32Speaker 01

  Children.

• 3:33Matt Farah?

  Yeah.

• 3:33Speaker 01

  Right.

• 3:34Matt Farah?

If I had my, like, if I had kids.

• 3:35Speaker 01

  Down family?

• 3:36Matt Farah?

Yeah, like, as opposed to, like, I obviously have a family.

• 3:39Speaker 01

The new show on Netflix, Down Family.

• 3:43Matt Farah?

It'll mean a different thing depending on which network it's on. Uh, on some networks, that means, like, people with Down syndrome. On other, it's like, uh,

• 3:52Speaker 01

  Australians.

• 3:53Matt Farah?

It's Australians. On another, it's like, just general Southerns. And then other, it's just like, really, it's like the rich cousin and the poor cousin, and this show's about, this show's about, uh, Cousin Eddie from fucking Vacation, basically.

• 4:07Speaker 01

I was gonna say people that live in a cave, but yours, I like yours better.

• 4:10Matt Farah?

Yeah, they down on, yeah, wow, in a lot of ways, we can use the word down today. Uh, no, but also, you're, yeah, children, I guess, is down, down family now.

• 4:19Speaker 01

Down. This is my downed family. What? Your children? Well, they're lower than me. They're

• 4:23Matt Farah?

But the point is, I would use, if I was the patriarch of a down family, I would use my status as entrepreneur to be like, you know what? Christmas is December 11th this year, you know what I mean?

• 4:36Speaker 01

  Yeah.

• 4:36Matt Farah?

We're having Thanksgiving, uh, the first, the first Tuesday, actually, of November.

• 4:41Speaker 01

Sarah's family does that for Christmas. We go in the fir-, we go to Florida the first week of Christmas.

• 4:46Matt Farah?

  Yeah.

• 4:46Speaker 01

Because the flights are cheaper, it's less busy. We do the gifts, everyone's got hats on, we have a great time, and then we go home.

• 4:52Matt Farah?

We tried to convince Hannah's parents to do Thanksgiving on either Wednesday or Friday, so that we could go to both, just this one time, not forever. And then her parents were like, fuck no.

• 5:12Matt Farah?

They weren't moving shit. My parents agreed to do a brunch, so we could do it. That was, you know, that was, that was pushing it.

• 5:20Speaker 01

I think your parents win that round.

• 5:22Matt Farah?

For being better parents by being more flexible.

• 5:24Speaker 01

  Yeah, amenable to that, yeah.

• 5:26Matt Farah?

Yeah, I mean, I think they do. I think Ching Farah.

• 5:29Speaker 01

  Point Farah.

• 5:29Matt Farah?

  Point Farah.

• 5:31Speaker 01

  Service?

• 5:32Matt Farah?

The Greta, the Farah of Greenwich win the first round.

• 5:38Matt Farah?

  Um, shit, cars, though.

• 5:40Speaker 01

  Mm-hmm.

• 5:40Matt Farah?

Uh, well, I guess, I guess we should just lead with what we did all, all morning.

• 5:45Speaker 01

  Yeah.

• 5:46Matt Farah?

Which we, do we want to, we don't want to show the end photo, though, do we?

• 5:52Speaker 01

I guess not. We don't want to spoil it.

• 5:54Matt Farah?

Hmm. Do you have, you have old photos, photos of when it was a stock?

• 5:58Speaker 01

  I should.

• 5:59Matt Farah?

  You must. You must, somewhere.

• 6:01Speaker 01

I don't delete them until the thing.

• 6:02Matt Farah?

Well, the point is, we teased it, and if you're, if you're a, a big Patreon member there, listening to the Pro Driver Show, if you're a Pro Driver Champ level patron, you get extra podcasts, by the way. Uh, we've been talking about it for a little bit, but, uh, we're doing another giveaway car. That's the big deal. Uh, and, you know, we've done it before. We did a BMW 135i, that, uh, was actually a fucking awesome car. That car ripped. That thing was really fun. And, uh, and we did a Corvette, a C6 Corvette, that actually still. Still lives locally, the dude who won it. Still comes to good vibes once in a while, lives in Southern California. So we see that thing around, I'm glad to see he's been driving it and enjoying it.

• 6:44Matt Farah?

But now, the game is changed because we actually partnered with this company called Dream Giveaways. And they do a little bit bigger cars. So we are now doing a Porsche 992 Turbo S. And this thing fucks.

• 7:08Speaker 01

  This is nuts.

• 7:09Matt Farah?

This is a, this is a, this is a brand new car. This was delivered to us with 60 miles on it.

• 7:16Matt Farah?

In ice gray, which is a fucking awesome color. I think it's, I think it elevates as the chalk type of gray.

• 7:25Speaker 01

  Yeah, I agree with that.

• 7:26Matt Farah?

This is a, it's sort of a richer, more metallic version of that type of gray.

• 7:32Speaker 01

Yeah. When it's got side light on it, like we had this morning, it really helps show the curves of the car. Especially in the back, the back fenders are so big.

• 7:40Matt Farah?

  Yeah.

• 7:40Speaker 01

  But it looks good.

• 7:41Matt Farah?

It's got a lot of really cool options. It came with Sport Design wheels, which we're showing in this photo right now, which we've changed. But the winner will get these wheels too. And you'll see what wheels we put on it later. And it's got a kick ass interior, it's got a glass sunroof, it's got a rear wiper. It's got the good stereo. It's Bose, not Burmester, but it's got, you know, PDCC and rear steer and ceramic brakes. It's got a full leather, fucking nose to tail leather, extended leather interior. In gray with contrast yellow stitching, yellow tack, yellow clock face.

• 8:26Matt Farah?

Really, really cool car. And the photo we're showing is I took, actually, or maybe Zach took, we both took the same photos. This is in Zion National Park, because one of the things we did was do the break in. So, so we broke in the car for you, so it now has the exact right, like almost to the mile. Right now, where you could just get in and start doing launches and you'll be fine. And you should.

• 8:54Matt Farah?

But fucking hell, 911 Turbo S.

• 8:57Speaker 01

  Yeah. Real expensive.

• 8:59Matt Farah?

That's so crazy. Two hundred and seventy-four thousand dollars.

• 9:02Speaker 01

We've raised the cost of our giveaway car by eleven, something, like ten and a half.

• 9:08Matt Farah?

Yeah, I mean, I think the BMW was like twenty grand and we put twelve or thirteen grand into it.

• 9:14Speaker 01

  We sure did. That's true.

• 9:15Matt Farah?

And then the Corvette was like, like about twenty grand also. And I think we did maybe a little, maybe a little less because a little less was broken.

• 9:25Speaker 01

  True. That's, yeah, that's true.

• 9:27Matt Farah?

I think the labor, the labor rate was a little lower on the Corvette, I think. Or not? No, it wasn't.

• 9:34Speaker 01

  Yeah.

• 9:35Matt Farah?

They were both nice, but this is, this time we are starting with a brand new turbo.

• 9:39Speaker 01

  Yeah, exactly.

• 9:40Matt Farah?

That's really the important thing here. This is a nine-second car from the factory, two-hundred mile an hour car that Zach and I comfortably did a thousand mile road trip in in two days.

• 9:50Speaker 01

  Yeah, that was amazing.

• 9:51Matt Farah?

  It was easy.

• 9:52Speaker 01

  Such a good cruise.

• 9:53Matt Farah?

Yeah, it was good. It's got all the good things. And, uh, and, uh, dude, I'm sorry I don't have the guy's name handy, but to the fan that DM'd me on Instagram and said, "Hey, bro, I just learned that you can rearrange the icons on the dock on Porsche's PCM screen", and then sent me like a ten-second video clip of just like an iPhone of a dude like holding and dragging, like, because I was talking last show about my Taycan, like, to get to the new Taycan, you just have to change it. Yo, I just watched that video. I walked outside to the driveway and I did it in my own car in five, I was like, "Ohhhhh", like, it was amazing. And this morning, we did it in this car.

• 10:38Speaker 01

Well, it's hilarious because one of your big complaints about Porsche in general and yours is like, you have to go through multiple menus to get to CarPlay and back to native and back to CarPlay. And then the new one that you tested, you went, "Oh, look, they put the CarPlay button in the dock."

• 10:51Matt Farah?

  On the dock.

• 10:51Speaker 01

It's right there on the left side. It's always there. And, and on last show, we're like, "I wonder if you could get it updated at the dealership. Maybe they could, you know, hack into the mainframe."

• 11:00Matt Farah?

You joked that they would charge you?

• 11:02Speaker 01

I joked they would probably charge you five hundred. They'd be smart. They'd go, "Yeah, we can update the software. It'll be five hundred bucks." And you go, "Okay", but all they would do is put their finger on it and just drag it over there and just drop it in the dock.

• 11:13Matt Farah?

  It's really interesting that...

• 11:16Matt Farah?

Because we have an outsized audience of Porsche owners and enthusiasts here. Like, just percentage-wise, right? Like, the percentage of TST listeners that own Porsches is higher than the general population.

• 11:29Speaker 01

  Probably, yeah.

• 11:30Matt Farah?

There's many. There's many people from a Macan to a fucking Turbo S to a 918. That's in our audience. To people who work there.

• 11:42Matt Farah?

I've talked about this a few times. This is not the first time I have discussed this exact thing. And with much respect and appreciation to the dude that sent it to me, that took a while.

• 11:55Speaker 01

No, it shouldn't have been left up to him.

• 11:57Matt Farah?

That took longer than it should have. Which, to me, isn't like a failure to communicate. To me, it means, I bet none of these other people know this shit either.

• 12:06Speaker 01

  I bet, yeah.

• 12:07Matt Farah?

I bet that is not something that's educated at the dealer. Where you could change that. So like, if you don't like... And by the way, it's not just CarPlay. Like, if you have a Porsche that has the, uh, I think it's like the, I don't know, 2020 and up screen? Uh, whatever. The one that's like the current one, but the not newest version of the current one. That has the array of apps arranged like an iPad would. Bro, just touch the shit and hold it for like two seconds. And a little window will pop up that says, "Rerange?", question mark? And then you just drag... And you can put any icon on the dock. Which is...

• 12:47Speaker 01

  Very handy.

• 12:48Matt Farah?

I bet not as many... I mean, someone out there knows it, and if you did, you should have fucking told me!

• 12:53Speaker 01

  But I don't think it's widespread knowledge.

• 12:55Matt Farah?

  I don't think it's widespread knowledge.

• 12:56Speaker 01

That's the kind of story that like a blog would have grabbed. Because they needed 10 stories for the day. Truly!

• 13:01Matt Farah?

AI would have written this story 100 times for Apple News.

• 13:04Speaker 01

Yeah. I really think that. And I wonder, maybe someone from Porsche will hear this, they'll reach out and say, "We do not train that in the dealership." Because the dealers might not know that you can move the icons around, or maybe that you can't move them over across that tiny little border to the dock.

• 13:19Matt Farah?

What a treat to find out that you can.

• 13:22Speaker 01

Or we're gonna get, or it's that, it's that nobody knows, or we're gonna get 100 comments on this video that are like, "Yeah, every CarPlay lets you do that." Of course it does.

• 13:30Matt Farah?

No, it's not, it's not CarPlay, that's native, the native, the native system.

• 13:34Speaker 01

But you were moving the CarPlay button.

• 13:36Matt Farah?

Yeah, but you can move any button.

• 13:37Speaker 01

Oh, right, it is in the native system.

• 13:38Matt Farah?

Yeah, it's in the native system. I, I didn't have to move the CarPlay button, I could've used the, moved the 0 to 60 timer button, or fucking weather app button, or whatever. Yeah. I might change, I might change all the buttons, just to fuck with Hannah.

• 13:51Speaker 01

  Yeah, you should.

• 13:53Speaker 01

Mess with the rest of your Down family.

• 13:54Matt Farah?

Well, I, I, I, uh, I showed her, uh, last night, I did it, I did it like in front of her, and she's like, "No fucking way." And it was like, just game changing. Guys, taking a break from the show for Delete Me. Delete Me makes it easy, quick, and safe to remove your personal data online at a time when surveillance and data breaches are common enough to make everybody vulnerable. Data brokers are out there. And what is a data broker? A data broker is someone who, where you sign up for a website, you put your email address, your home address, your phone number, etc., etc. That company then sends you the knife insert for your drawer in your kitchen that you ordered,

• 14:36Matt Farah?

and then they sell your data to a data broker who sells it to whoever else, right? And that again, could be your name and contact info, it could be your social security number, could be your home address, could be info about your family members. It all gets sold online, and then everybody gets spam calls and texts, phishing scams, even worse, right? It could all be a mess. And so, what do you do? You sign up for Delete Me, okay? You go to, uh, delete.me.com/tire, code tire. And then, once you're there, you give Delete Me the information that you no longer want to see on the internet, meaning your name or names, your addresses, your phone numbers, contact info for your spouse, your family members, etc.

• 15:19Matt Farah?

Delete Me goes to work. You don't hear from them for a few days and then they come back and go, "Look at all this stuff I found." Then it'll be like a thousand things. And most of them you can delete automatically, some you have to do a little extra work. A couple clicks here and there, a couple signatures here and there. And then the next month they send you another one and it's got less. And then the next one they send you another one, it's got less. And then you just sort of stay at less, right? You can take control of your data and keep your private life private by signing up for Delete Me at a special discount for our listeners. For real, you sign up and then spam calls and texts and stuff just get a lot less. It's just nice. Get 20% off your Delete Me plan when you go to joindelete.me/tire and use promo code tire at checkout.

• 16:02Matt Farah?

The only way to get 20% off is to go to joindelete.me/tire and enter code tire at checkout. That's joindelete.me/tire code tire. And also brought to you today by Aura Frames. • 18:02Speaker 01

  That's a good score. That's a free mod. That's what that is.

• 18:04Matt Farah?

Dude, removing a bit of resistance in a system that you have to use that frequently? That's, that's alright. That's a good, that's a good day. I call that a good fuck.

• 18:15Speaker 01

Yeah, I don't like when you're on the screen, you have like swipe from screen one to two to use the thing you use most frequently. I wish it organized it by itself. That'd be nice. If it goes, hey.

• 18:24Matt Farah?

  Most frequent.

• 18:25Speaker 01

Yeah, most frequent. When you have like the triple page of CarPlay, you know, it always, and it has, like when I use CarPlay in my car, like Harry's lap timer's on there and just everything, like Electrify America, any app I've ever downloaded that has a CarPlay function is there. But I wish it would just shuffle them all to like, here's your most recent on this page.

• 18:44Matt Farah?

You know, it's very rare for, in my CarPlay usage, I would say that

• 18:52Matt Farah?

99% of the time I'm using CarPlay, the screen that's up is either a GPS screen, Waze or Google Maps, or the, the music screen.

• 19:05Matt Farah?

I don't spend a lot of time going through, I don't use a lot of other apps like through CarPlay. So I guess there's probably a lot of people that do. There must be a way to arrange them shits.

• 19:16Speaker 01

I think you could probably just manually drag them around.

• 19:19Matt Farah?

Yeah, oh yeah, yeah. I've never, I've never tried. I've never cared, but like.

• 19:23Speaker 01

I'll have to fuck around. Maybe in my system, there's a button that says sort by recent or something.

• 19:28Matt Farah?

Are we talking about your car?

• 19:30Speaker 01

  Yeah.

• 19:30Matt Farah?

  Okay, cool. Cause also asterisk.

• 19:33Speaker 01

Sure. Chinese hardware with Android that runs Apple stuff.

• 19:38Matt Farah?

Yeah, your shit's got some like spyware on.

• 19:41Speaker 01

We're not so different, you and I. We're just trying to rearrange apps together. You know, just different sides of the fence.

• 19:47Speaker 01

My fence is chain link, yours is fancy. We have the same problem. We both take our trash out.

• 19:53Matt Farah?

  Yeah.

• 19:53Speaker 01

I don't know where I'm going with this.

• 19:54Matt Farah?

I don't, I like, and, yes, and. What else do we do? What else do we both do?

• 20:01Matt Farah?

  We both wipe our bums.

• 20:03Speaker 01

  You do that?

• 20:04Matt Farah?

  Hmm, I use three seashells.

• 20:06Speaker 01

  I'm missing something.

• 20:07Matt Farah?

  Three seashells.

• 20:08Speaker 01

I just use a sprinkler outside.

• 20:09Matt Farah?

I had to, Amelia, Amelia Hartford.

• 20:12Speaker 01

  What a segue.

• 20:13Matt Farah?

Came over for dinner the other night. And, and I was, as you wanted to see the house.

• 20:18Speaker 01

  Yeah.

• 20:19Matt Farah?

And I'm giving her, you know, the normal tour. And she has not seen Demolition Man.

• 20:24Speaker 01

I knew where this was headed. She's like 20 years older.

• 20:27Matt Farah?

Yeah, yeah. And I had, so I have to explain, you know, this has happened before, where you have to, you know, they go, I can see that you're doing a bit here. But just, just, I got nothing.

• 20:38Speaker 01

And then you have to go, so there's a movie.

• 20:40Matt Farah?

  Yeah.

• 20:41Speaker 01

And in the movie, they use the shells and they use the shells to clean the shit off the bum. It's really funny, I promise.

• 20:47Matt Farah?

It doesn't help that, you know, you've been in that bathroom, there's a couple of photos from on set? Like publicity photos, and they're black and white?

• 20:57Matt Farah?

Like it's, this is like, this is a color movie, obviously.

• 21:03Speaker 01

It's funny, Sarah and I are only four years apart, but the number, there's enough things each month where I go, have you seen this? She says, no.

• 21:09Matt Farah?

  Yeah.

• 21:09Speaker 01

And I realized that was enough of a delta, like whether it was a cartoon as a kid, or a movie, or whatever.

• 21:14Matt Farah?

  Yeah.

• 21:15Speaker 01

And now I have much more empathy for my dad when he would say, have you guys seen Seven Samurai? And I'd be like, we're 12.

• 21:20Matt Farah?

  Yeah.

• 21:21Speaker 01

No, and he goes, oh, it came out in 58, it's amazing.

• 21:23Matt Farah?

Bro, Hannah's, the shit, Hannah's five years older than me. Uh, which is interestingly the same age that my mother is, or that my father, it's weird that that happened that way. But like, my, my.

• 21:34Speaker 01

  Is it that's the?

• 21:35Matt Farah?

No, my dad says this is Faramath at work. Because on average, women live five years longer than men. So we're just fucking bracket racing.

• 21:43Speaker 01

So you can, you're trying to die at the same time.

• 21:46Matt Farah?

Yeah, the, the idea of successful marriage is you fucking, Hannah and I talk about this both together all the time. Neither of us are particularly excited. To be the one that doesn't die first.

• 21:58Speaker 01

Of course not. Then you have to handle all the stuff.

• 21:59Matt Farah?

  Do all this shit.

• 22:00Speaker 01

  You have to grieve.

• 22:01Matt Farah?

Yeah. I mean, unless, unless you're young enough to start fucking again, you know, what's the point?

• 22:07Speaker 01

I mean, based on what they say about retirement homes, I don't know if you're ever really too old.

• 22:10Matt Farah?

No, it's good. I mean, listen, if I make it to 80, it's fucking on.

• 22:15Speaker 01

Like Hannah, can I get a?

• 22:17Matt Farah?

Where does he start eating molly every single day? Why wouldn't you?

• 22:20Speaker 01

I mean, you can't do it every day, but.

• 22:21Matt Farah?

I mean, as much as, you know, physician allows. As much as Dr. Conrad Murray allows.

• 22:27Speaker 01

  As much as RFK allows.

• 22:31Speaker 01

So, that's the darkest joke I've ever heard your dad making. He's like, we're all just trying to die the same day, same year.

• 22:37Matt Farah?

  Yeah.

• 22:37Speaker 01

Just go out together. Yeah, nice.

• 22:38Matt Farah?

  Yeah.

• 22:39Speaker 01

  Sure.

• 22:39Matt Farah?

I, I mean, listen, Roger Farah math is never wrong. You have to respect his math.

• 22:45Speaker 01

  That's really scary true.

• 22:46Matt Farah?

His math game is so tight. He's wrong about other shit, but his, you cannot fuck with his math game at all. Especially some simple ass math like that.

• 22:54Speaker 01

  Like the number five?

• 22:55Matt Farah?

  He bats a thousand.

• 22:56Speaker 01

  He's good at number five.

• 23:00Matt Farah?

  Anyway.

• 23:01Speaker 01

  Wow.

• 23:01Matt Farah?

  Were we talking about cars?

• 23:03Speaker 01

  Not yet.

• 23:04Matt Farah?

  No.

• 23:05Speaker 01

No, we did. Apple CarPlay. That's how we got here.

• 23:07Matt Farah?

  On CarPlay.

• 23:07Speaker 01

  And our cars are different.

• 23:09Matt Farah?

Yeah, right. Anyway, hi. So we're giving away a 911. It has CarPlay. It has CarPlay.

• 23:15Speaker 01

  It does have CarPlay.

• 23:16Matt Farah?

What else does it have? It has, oh, it has some actually, um, the couple of, it has some really sort of rare options. It has like, uh, the, the, I don't know if there's, if you can see it in this photo. The, the veins on, uh, on the engine cover, those vents are painted ice gray. That is apparently a very expensive and exclusive manufacturer thing, uh, that not a lot of people get. And you know what's funny about the rear wiper? The rear wiper is pimp as fuck on a 911 Turbo S. It really is. That's a good, that's a pretty, you know, touring level option. It doesn't work all that well though.

• 23:55Matt Farah?

I mean, it works better than having no wiper, but the angle that it like sweeps away is just like not that good.

• 24:02Speaker 01

  Yeah, it's fairly unnecessary.

• 24:04Matt Farah?

  Yeah.

• 24:04Speaker 01

  I would say.

• 24:04Matt Farah?

But it looks, but it looks cool.

• 24:06Speaker 01

I got it. Here you go. Here's the shot.

• 24:08Matt Farah?

Yeah, so you can see the painted things on top of it.

• 24:11Speaker 01

Well, what's funny is from this angle, it just looks like reflections, but those always look like that for the...

• 24:15Matt Farah?

Those are actually painted stripes. Yeah, pretty cool.

• 24:17Speaker 01

Painted reflection. That is a huge windshield wiper.

• 24:20Matt Farah?

It is, but the angle of it, like, it... I'd say it cleans like half the windshield.

• 24:25Speaker 01

Yeah. Speed cleans the other part.

• 24:28Matt Farah?

Sure, sure, sure, if you're going, yeah. But still, I mean, it's a pimp option to have.

• 24:32Speaker 01

These cars are amazing. Truly. And we don't want to talk about the mods yet, right? We're gonna save that stuff.

• 24:37Matt Farah?

Yeah, but like, fucking, you know, spoiler alert, it's like, it's like, fucking so fast.

• 24:44Speaker 01

  They're so fast.

• 24:45Matt Farah?

  It's insanely fast. Yeah.

• 24:47Speaker 01

But just at its core, I don't know if there's another car on the market that does as many things as well as 911 Corvus do. And I know I'm not, this is in a news statement, I just got reminded today.

• 24:59Matt Farah?

Yeah, but there's also no car on the market that like less needs to be tuned than this thing.

• 25:04Speaker 01

  Oh, that's true, yeah.

• 25:05Matt Farah?

This is not, it's not a thing that needs more power, like...

• 25:09Speaker 01

Well, someone out there, I'm sure, is putting exhaust and a tune on the ZR1, like, right now.

• 25:13Matt Farah?

Yeah, that you should do to just make it sound better, but you don't need to tune that.

• 25:17Speaker 01

  Yeah, that's true.

• 25:18Matt Farah?

That car Rangers ran nines, Car and Driver ran nines with it, rear-wheel drive, no prep. Actually, yeah, I don't think it was no prep.

• 25:25Speaker 01

  That's nuts.

• 25:26Matt Farah?

Yeah. Was it no prep? I don't know, but it was a fucking rear-wheel drive nine on a street tire. Yeah, pretty cool.

• 25:33Speaker 01

  Very cool.

• 25:34Matt Farah?

This does, this does nines on street tires, all-wheel drive, constantly.

• 25:38Speaker 01

  Just all the time.

• 25:39Matt Farah?

Yeah. And it also, well, I didn't try it before, but now it, well, it certainly does a four-wheel burnout, too, which is pretty fun if you want to try that.

• 25:49Speaker 01

It does do that, which shocked me today. Um, what else was I gonna say about this? A good road trip car, though, because we did drive it, design it back, and we did the Angels Landing hike. Someone asked how it was. That's the coolest hike I've ever done.

• 26:01Matt Farah?

  That's a good hike.

• 26:01Speaker 01

Because it involves climbing with chains, and if you let go or slip, like, you might die.

• 26:05Matt Farah?

You could absolutely die doing that.

• 26:06Speaker 01

So I'm real into that kind of hiking. I'm on board.

• 26:09Matt Farah?

Yeah, it was, and it was, it was, it was, it was a little scary.

• 26:13Speaker 01

  Yes.

• 26:13Matt Farah?

There's a couple of elements of that where we're like, oh, oh, yeah.

• 26:16Speaker 01

  Very focused.

• 26:17Matt Farah?

There's exposure. Some real exposure on this one.

• 26:19Speaker 01

If you're tired when you start that hike, when you get to the part where you hold on to not die, you are awake.

• 26:24Matt Farah?

  Yeah.

• 26:25Speaker 01

You're very awake. Oh, what I was gonna say is, when we drove this, I think we got like 27 or 26 miles per gallon for the whole trip.

• 26:31Matt Farah?

  Yeah, we did.

• 26:32Speaker 01

And we were, we, we had to get back quickly.

• 26:35Matt Farah?

Yeah, I mean, it was the break-in, right? We were doing the break-in, so I don't, we didn't rev it like past 5, we didn't go over half throttle, like, that's, that's what you're doing on break-in. Doesn't mean you're driving slow.

• 26:45Speaker 01

  We did not drive slow.

• 26:46Matt Farah?

You can fucking, dude, stick this thing at 90 miles an hour across Utah, no problem.

• 26:51Speaker 01

Right. No, I'm just saying that at cruising speed, at high cruising speeds.

• 26:54Matt Farah?

  Pretty efficient.

• 26:55Speaker 01

Pretty efficient and impressive for something making so much power.

• 26:58Matt Farah?

Active aero and all that, all that good shit. This is a fine ass automobile.

• 27:03Speaker 01

  It is.

• 27:04Matt Farah?

I'm, uh, I'm gonna, I'm gonna be sorry to see it go, but like, at least like, you know, what was tough about that Corvette was like, the contest started and then we got the car and we were really crunched on time to, to get the car done by like, you know, the right kinds of people, like, you know, with the right kind of parts we wanted and all that stuff, and we got it done, like, and the car, the car was cool, but like, it was incredibly stressful.

• 27:26Speaker 01

It was very, it was two months or something, it was really tight.

• 27:29Matt Farah?

I don't think it was even that long. I think it might have been six weeks or something, but, so this car we had for longer, we got it all done, and so like, you can't, but like, you're listening to this, like, you literally can't enter yet, like, it hasn't actually started yet, but, and you're gonna see content about us doing stuff to the car, which is like, the way it's supposed to work, but like, rest assured, car's already done.

• 27:50Speaker 01

So also, the car was fully functional when it arrived, whereas some of our cars that we had, like the BMW, like BMW had, there were things we fixed and things we improved. And we spent a lot of money just fixing BMW things so that it's ready for the next person.

• 28:03Matt Farah?

  Right.

• 28:04Speaker 01

Same with the Vet, like, there was some stuff inside that was torn and, you know, shaky and wiggly and broken.

• 28:08Matt Farah?

Yeah, we tried to like, partially unshitbox a 2012 Corvette or something.

• 28:13Speaker 01

We bought like, a center console and an e-brake handle, like, things that were cracked up and stuff. This didn't have those problems, which is very nice.

• 28:19Matt Farah?

Yeah. When starting with a brand-new car, that's, uh, that's luxurious living.

• 28:24Speaker 01

  Yeah.

• 28:25Matt Farah?

Um, but we got some high-quality companies to donate some incredible, not, uh, donate, throw in, purchase, whatever, some incredibly high-quality parts, uh, for the car, and, uh, you're gonna have a, a, a package that's really pretty special. Pretty, pretty special.

• 28:44Matt Farah?

So obviously, we're gonna have details on it when we have a link, when we have what you do. There is a, there is going to be a charitable element to the giveaway. You know, we're not gonna bullshit you, like, we're gonna be making some money on this. And like, the people that run the framework, like, they make some money on it, like, it's their business. So like, but there is a charitable element to it. And you don't have to buy any merch. It's just straight-up entries. So...

• 29:15Speaker 01

So if you have enough coffee mugs...

• 29:16Matt Farah?

If you have a lot of coffee mugs from our previous ones, you don't need to buy any more coffee mugs. It's just, it's just that. And, and obviously, there's a, there is the old "no purchase necessary" option as well. They make you jump through a lot of hoops, but there is a freeway as well.

• 29:31Speaker 01

Technically and legally, you can enter for free.

• 29:33Matt Farah?

Yes. So, uh, yeah. 911 Turbo S. Pretty crazy stuff.

• 29:37Speaker 01

Really crazy stuff. We were at Larry Chen's today, we're like, "This is our giveaway car." And his face was like...

• 29:42Matt Farah?

  He was like, "What?"

• 29:43Speaker 01

  "How? Who?"

• 29:44Matt Farah?

  Yeah.

• 29:45Speaker 01

  Yeah.

• 29:45Matt Farah?

Uh, but it's gonna, it's gonna go back to them, because it's gotta sit in a bonded warehouse while the content is, is, the contest is running. So, we have to say goodbye to it, unfortunately. But what a nice thing that is. Wow. Mmm, mmm, delicious. Uh, the other, the other thing I wanted to talk about was this Waymo thing in San Francisco, which is hysterical. Guys, one more break today, because support is coming in from Truework. Zach and I were up on the mountain today, and Zach was wearing his Truework coat, I noticed it. But we had four different weathers today. We had cold and windy, and then we had just regular cold. And then we had, like, hot.

• 30:28Matt Farah?

And then we had a cooling off, and then it was hot again. And Zach was ready for all of it, because he was wearing Truework. I was not ready for it, because I was just wearing a regular sweatshirt. I was unprepared, and he was prepared. And you could be prepared like Zach was on the mountain today by rocking your own Truework. They set out to make workwear that keeps pros comfortable, capable, and ready for whatever the day throws at them. Four different weathers. Designed with advanced performance fabrics for lasting comfort, all-day mobility, and year-round job site protection. Every piece is tested on job sites with the trade pros, so when conditions change, you're still ready.

• 31:08Matt Farah?

Now, if you happen to find yourself on a mountain, I do recommend a TruWork coat. If you find yourself, um, let's say, crawling all over a construction site, I recommend their pants. Uh, if you are doing, uh, some actual, like, morning, like, workout in a cold, damp, uh, dank environment, I have their hoodie that is incredibly awesome. And you can upgrade your day with workwear built like it matters. Get 15% off your first order at truewerk.com code tire. That's T-R-U-E-W-E-R-K dot com code tire. And now, back to the program. And a bunch of people sent it, uh, to me, Road and Track, wrote about it. Who wrote that?

• 31:53Matt Farah?

Lucas wrote it for Road and Track. Um, so there was a power outage, and the way it was told to me was that there was a power outage and all the Waymos just froze, which is not what happened. There was a power outage that killed all the fucking traffic lights, and all the Waymos got real confused, and because Waymos are so passive, like, the other cars were able to, like, kinda get through, but like, also, it, there's a video. Um, it's just crazy. But it wasn't like, I thought, when he, when someone said it to me, I thought it was like...

• 32:26Speaker 01

  They bricked.

• 32:27Matt Farah?

  They bricked.

• 32:27Speaker 01

You thought it was a software issue.

• 32:29Matt Farah?

  Yes.

• 32:29Speaker 01

The server got shut down, and all of a sudden, they just stopped, stopped in place.

• 32:33Matt Farah?

Yes. I thought it was a red flag. It was not, it was not a red flag. It was, here, this, this video is incredible, and you can kinda just, even if you just hear the audio, you can kind of understand what is going on.

• 32:47Matt Farah?

So the traffic light is out.

• 32:49Speaker 02

Someone's gonna set this thing on fire if it doesn't move soon.

• 32:52Speaker 01

No one's gonna set it on fire if it doesn't move soon.

• 32:55Matt Farah?

There's just a Waymo right in the middle of an intersection.

• 32:58Speaker 01

  The pan.

• 32:59Matt Farah?

But then you pan left and there's nine, something like nine or 10 Waymos lined up behind this one stuck Waymo not going.

• 33:08Speaker 01

  God, that's ironic.

• 33:09Matt Farah?

  Not going around.

• 33:10Speaker 01

And they all have their hazards on.

• 33:12Matt Farah?

  Yeah.

• 33:12Speaker 01

Like, the one in the intersection has its hazards on, but all of the ones behind it, you know, they're like signaling to other, other Waymos, like, "Come help."

• 33:19Matt Farah?

Yeah. Like, without, it seems like without a working traffic signal, they're, they're literally unable to make a decision. And...

• 33:30Speaker 01

  Yeah, that's an interesting thing.

• 33:32Matt Farah?

Yeah. There was, in the road and track story that Lucas wrote, there was a statement from, from Waymo that was saying that like...

• 33:38Speaker 01

  Said, quote, "Oops."

• 33:39Matt Farah?

It said, "No, you know, it's a small percentage of the, of the overall fleet. Most of them, you know, were continuing operating without whatever." And of course Elon Musk says that fucking, the Tesla ones were unaffected by the power outage.

• 33:54Speaker 01

Is that because they're in Austin, Texas?

• 33:55Matt Farah?

It's because they're not real robo, robo taxis, actually. Because they just drive through red lights anyway.

• 34:01Speaker 01

They're just driven by people. What did Waymo say?

• 34:04Matt Farah?

There was a story speaking, if Elon wants to talk shit, maybe he wants to talk about the, uh, story that was up today about 15 people that burned in Teslas because they couldn't open the door handles.

• 34:14Speaker 01

  Whoa.

• 34:14Matt Farah?

Which there's now a lawsuit about. But I thought it was kind of funny. Like, it's just, like, autonomous driving is like an amazing bit of technology, but the ways in which it is limiting are like, pretty fucking funny, actually.

• 34:29Speaker 01

Yeah. Well, because I rode in the car and you've, you've been in plenty of Waymos, like, you can see that it, it sees the stop sign.

• 34:34Matt Farah?

  Yeah.

• 34:35Speaker 01

  Or it sees the light.

• 34:36Matt Farah?

  Yeah.

• 34:36Speaker 01

And it's got a color screen and it's, it's, there's a screen in the back of a Waymo to show you the passenger.

• 34:41Matt Farah?

  Mm-hmm.

• 34:41Speaker 01

"Here's what I'm seeing." And it definitely makes you feel more comfortable. It worked on me. But it sees the red stop sign, even if it's, you know, there's a bush over it and it's dimly lit. But here, it arrived at this intersection and it didn't get that input data point of like, hey, the light is red or green or yellow.

• 34:56Matt Farah?

  Yeah.

• 34:57Speaker 01

And it's like, you know, someone who's totally colorblind and all of a sudden the lights have been inverted or something and they're out of order and they goes, oh, uh, I don't know what to do.

• 35:06Matt Farah?

It is funny that it doesn't, well, either it defaults to treat this like a stop sign.

• 35:14Speaker 01

Which is what, that's in the California rulebook.

• 35:16Matt Farah?

Which is what you're supposed to do.

• 35:17Speaker 01

  Yeah.

• 35:17Matt Farah?

But in the case of this intersection, the rest of it, people were just fucking free for alling around and people were walking, whatever. And so it was just being so passive.

• 35:27Speaker 01

  So funny.

• 35:28Matt Farah?

That's what they do. They just are passive. So maybe it was being passive and the other ones just, just like didn't fucking get around.

• 35:37Speaker 01

  They just railroaded it.

• 35:38Matt Farah?

  Just railroaded, yeah.

• 35:39Speaker 01

So the Waymo is sitting there waiting for everyone to follow, you know, either person to, whether it's to your, the person to your right.

• 35:44Matt Farah?

  Yeah.

• 35:45Speaker 01

  The right of way.

• 35:46Matt Farah?

Yeah. And just nobody actually goes.

• 35:48Speaker 01

  No one waited.

• 35:49Matt Farah?

So, but play it again. Okay. So there's one, there's one in front of the crosswalk that's semi-blocking the, the center.

• 35:58Speaker 01

So funny. So right now the Waymo should have gone.

• 36:03Matt Farah?

  Yeah.

• 36:03Speaker 01

  But that person.

• 36:04Matt Farah?

It's just not going anywhere. And there's one, two, three, four, five, I think, I think it's five. There's, I thought there were more, but it was just regular cars. So there's five Waymos stuck behind the crosswalk with their hazards on.

• 36:20Speaker 01

Do you think the other Waymos were saying encouraging things to the Waymo? Like you can do it, Billy?

• 36:25Matt Farah?

The one on the bottom right doesn't seem totally stuck. It, it inched up about like three feet. Like it inched up like it was like looking to make a right turn there, but then it didn't. Like, look, once that pedestrian crosses. Wait, hang on. It's gonna, it's gonna pull back.

• 36:45Matt Farah?

We should go over dude one of these days. Cause you know, the, the Waymo lot, watch this one inch up on the bottom. It's, it, it, it does like, it does like, seem like it's indicating like it's about to try to like go somewhere and then it gives up.

• 36:58Speaker 01

  That's the brave one.

• 36:59Matt Farah?

  Yeah.

• 37:01Matt Farah?

Like that one, it moves and then it stops.

• 37:04Speaker 01

  Move three inches.

• 37:04Matt Farah?

I mean, yeah, it didn't move very far, but.

• 37:06Speaker 01

  Yeah.

• 37:06Matt Farah?

We should go over to the lot across the street where the Waymos go to sleep.

• 37:10Speaker 01

  Yeah.

• 37:11Matt Farah?

At like eight o'clock in the morning and just watch them like ants marching off. It's like, it's a wild thing to see. It's right by the blue bottle.

• 37:18Speaker 01

  We could do that.

• 37:18Matt Farah?

  You could get.

• 37:19Speaker 01

  Hundred percent.

• 37:19Matt Farah?

Whatever the fuck you got me here was really good.

• 37:21Speaker 01

  Yeah, uh, I don't.

• 37:23Matt Farah?

Cold brew, one sugar with the foam.

• 37:25Speaker 01

  Correct.

• 37:25Matt Farah?

  Yeah.

• 37:26Speaker 01

  Exactly.

• 37:26Matt Farah?

  Alright.

• 37:27Speaker 01

  Nice.

• 37:27Matt Farah?

  Nice.

• 37:28Speaker 01

  Chosen well.

• 37:29Matt Farah?

  I like.

• 37:29Speaker 01

Um, we could time lapse that and just watch all the Waymos go.

• 37:33Matt Farah?

  Yeah, it's fucking crazy.

• 37:35Speaker 01

It's weird to see them all hanging out there and they all face the same direction in their parking lot. And they have just blinking lights and they're all waiting for orders.

• 37:42Matt Farah?

We, I was wondering if they, if they sit in the parking lot until summoned? Or if they scatter? Cause I think they sort of scatter at when shift starts and I don't think they have to get very far before they get summoned.

• 37:56Speaker 01

  I think that's true.

• 37:57Matt Farah?

But I don't think if they all just sat there.

• 37:58Speaker 01

They don't sit there, cause there's a couple that sit around the corner from my place.

• 38:02Matt Farah?

  Sure.

• 38:02Speaker 01

Which is a few blocks from.

• 38:03Matt Farah?

Okay, so they leave the parking lot and then they post up just waiting by your house?

• 38:07Speaker 01

  Yeah.

• 38:08Matt Farah?

  Okay, cool.

• 38:08Speaker 01

Yeah. Like, like other, you know, like Lyft or taxi do. Otherwise, if they had to always emanate from that one place, be a longer time to get to their, uh, their passengers.

• 38:17Matt Farah?

  It's still.

• 38:18Speaker 01

It's really funny. What a funny thing. And now they have to program around this. Like this is, these things have been driving around for how many years now?

• 38:24Matt Farah?

  Eight?

• 38:24Speaker 01

Really successful. And somehow, this anomaly, either they didn't program for it, or they haven't encountered it, I guess, which seems surprising.

• 38:34Matt Farah?

  That seems weird, yeah.

• 38:35Speaker 01

Uh, it's kind of funny, they don't have a solution for it.

• 38:38Matt Farah?

I mean, maybe if there's a power outage, normally there's like a battery backup and the traffic lights default to like blinking red. And not like totally out.

• 38:46Speaker 01

  That's true. That's true.

• 38:47Matt Farah?

Maybe, maybe. But there should be a, there should be a protocol for full off. Full off traffic lights. I do, I mean, look, with, with respect to, I think it was called Kit Kat? The cat that the Waymo ran over.

• 39:03Matt Farah?

And I think, I think a Waymo hit another dog recently.

• 39:08Matt Farah?

Most of the time when Waymos fuck up, it's in a funny way. And not in a way where it's like, uh, my uncle, you know, died a horrific death. You know, it, it didn't send someone off an embankment at 80 miles an hour.

• 39:23Speaker 01

Like you're saying, like Elon can make fun of this.

• 39:25Matt Farah?

Yeah, dude, these fucking, yeah, yeah. These people think this shit drives themselves and it drives underneath a semi truck and fucking Jane Mansfield's your ass, dude.

• 39:34Speaker 01

  Like in broad daylight.

• 39:35Matt Farah?

  Yeah.

• 39:36Speaker 01

  Yeah.

• 39:36Matt Farah?

Yeah, that's not, that's not this. This is funny.

• 39:40Speaker 01

  I agree. It's harmless.

• 39:41Matt Farah?

Yeah, like these are the fucking edge cases, not the ones where, you know, people are dying.

• 39:47Speaker 01

  Right, not this.

• 39:48Matt Farah?

Yeah. R I P Kit Kat, though. That cat, that cat was apparently extremely legit.

• 39:54Speaker 01

Do you, do you know that it's friends?

• 39:56Matt Farah?

No, there was a, there was a, uh, there was like a, a memorial for it, like this cat in San Francisco, like bodega cat.

• 40:03Speaker 01

  Oh.

• 40:04Matt Farah?

Apparently ran under a Waymo as people were getting in it.

• 40:09Speaker 01

  Got it.

• 40:09Matt Farah?

And the Waymo drove off and ran over the cat. And like, because there's no fucking human there, like it just sort of, you know, it wasn't like a.

• 40:18Speaker 01

Well, and even, even if there was a human, would the human driver have known that was happening?

• 40:23Matt Farah?

No, no, for sure, of course. And humans run over pets and animals like all the time. Like it's, that's a thing that happens and that the vast majority of time, the person should be forgiven for because it's not intentional. And like, even the description of the incident, it's hard to blame the Waymo.

• 40:43Matt Farah?

Because the Waymo, like, if an animal just runs under a car and you, you know, you're at the like, you, you know what I mean? Like, you, you would not see that either. So, so I think, I think I read, I mean, who knows what the fucking do it. But I read that the statement was, you know, they apologized and, you know, they made a donation to the animal shelter. Who knows what they fucking did, but okay. And that they were gonna put sensors.

• 41:07Speaker 01

  No way.

• 41:08Matt Farah?

  Motion sensors underneath the car.

• 41:10Speaker 01

  Wow.

• 41:10Matt Farah?

  Which, I mean.

• 41:11Speaker 01

  Very cool, yeah.

• 41:12Matt Farah?

Like, good. Like, hey, that, like, that is like an appropriate and mature reaction to the inevitable death of a living thing at the hands of this kind of stuff.

• 41:22Speaker 01

  Yeah.

• 41:22Matt Farah?

  You know what I mean?

• 41:23Speaker 01

Or you could remove sensors and just use one camera that looks at the sky. That's pretty cool.

• 41:30Matt Farah?

  Exactly.

• 41:31Speaker 01

  I saw a heartwarming.

• 41:32Matt Farah?

  It looks up there.

• 41:36Speaker 01

  Awkward pointing, as it were.

• 41:38Matt Farah?

Everyone, uh, feel free to, uh, freeze frame that.

• 41:42Speaker 01

Use the director. I think your arm was mostly out of frame, but, uh, yeah.

• 41:45Matt Farah?

Use it, cut to black, you know, above, above here, just put a black box above here.

• 41:50Speaker 01

  Like the Epstein files.

• 41:51Matt Farah?

  Make this.

• 41:52Speaker 01

  Just redact the whole show.

• 41:54Matt Farah?

  Can you redact that?

• 41:55Speaker 01

Redact the whole show, not show anything except for five words and a picture they inserted of Michael Jackson that actually had nothing to do with.

• 42:02Matt Farah?

Well, dude, I mean, but the problem is like, look, now, because of stupid fucking AI, like, I don't, I don't trust any of that shit now. You could, I could chat GPT, you know, or whatever the image one is, Nano Banana, you know, show me fucking Trump being, you know, fucking blown by a teenager with his arm around Jeffrey Epstein and a fucking black box over most of his face. Like, you know what I mean?

• 42:29Speaker 01

But I think that's, and that's, the timing of this is so fortunate for the people who are in those files, because they can, if this was five years ago, and if the only AI

• 42:40Matt Farah?

Who's in the files and heavily investing in AI and crypto right now?

• 42:45Speaker 01

Because if this was a few years ago, when the only, uh, AI image creation was, remember Dolly when it first came out and everything looked like a dripping clock?

• 42:52Matt Farah?

  Yeah.

• 42:52Speaker 01

People would be like, you can't blame that for that.

• 42:54Matt Farah?

  Yeah.

• 42:54Speaker 01

  For this.

• 42:55Matt Farah?

No, this, I, I hope you people enjoyed photographic evidence while it was a thing.

• 43:01Matt Farah?

You know what I mean, like?

• 43:02Speaker 01

Well, today, you know, today, unfortunately, we saw the video of these two folks that crashed in a Ferrari in the canyons. And I think they tragically passed away. One guy was Vince, the guy that worked at. We didn't know him, we just read about it. But when we saw the video, it was a very grainy video. It was like, it was almost like 480p, which these days is weird and suspicious. Because everyone's got a 4K camera in their hand. And I don't know, it was you or one of my friends were like, oh, is this just an AI video? Like, did someone, is someone, is someone trying to, you know, spark everyone's interest? And make something scary, but it's actually fake and sadly it is real.

• 43:39Matt Farah?

  Both people died?

• 43:40Speaker 01

At least one, I don't know about both, it's about one.

• 43:43Matt Farah?

  Don't watch that video.

• 43:45Speaker 01

  Yeah, don't.

• 43:46Matt Farah?

But if it, wow, were they going fast?

• 43:48Speaker 01

  Yeah.

• 43:50Matt Farah?

Yeah, I was, Jesus. Um, on to other things.

• 43:54Speaker 01

Sorry, I didn't mean to drag that down.

• 43:56Matt Farah?

  Back to talking shit.

• 43:58Speaker 01

  Yes.

• 43:59Matt Farah?

Zach, man, this one's tough. Zach just pulled up this photo. I actually talked about this on Spike's show. He likes it.

• 44:07Speaker 01

Well, does he love Coca-Cola and the Santa campaign?

• 44:10Matt Farah?

So this is, this is a, so now, you know, now Porsche is getting into the reimagining game. Okay, they couldn't possibly, there's, Porsche's gotta be so mad that they can't build a Singer Turbo.

• 44:26Speaker 01

Sure, yeah, they're leaving so much money on the table.

• 44:29Matt Farah?

Like, people are willing to pay a fortune for that. And Porsche could, if they wanted to, build a Singer Turbo, but they can't. Because of regulations and shit, and all kinds of things. Uh, so, they're, they're, they're now in the reimagining game. Uh, Mr. Jerry Seinfeld fucking made me feel fucking eight inches tall. When I, when he, when I asked him about how he felt about the Speedster. Not knowing that he had owned the only ever 993 Speedster before that, good moment. Um, but Porsche Motorsport, Porsche Cars North America, is it?

• 45:07Matt Farah?

Is it PMNA or oh, it's Porsche Classic. It's Porsche Classic is the one that are doing it. So they are, you know, reimagining cars to the extent that they can. Pretty much means a factory restoration, but cosmetically altered in whatever way the owner sees fit. So they're doing paint jobs. They're doing different color wheels. They're doing different materials, things like that. So this one has a livery from a vintage race car. And I think this falls into the same category. It's red with white, like stripey scallops and a big meatball on the side. With a 23 because obviously this is Michael Jordan's car. It's not.

• 45:50Speaker 01

It's not. It's a, the owner's listed in the article.

• 45:52Matt Farah?

  Yeah, it's not. It's a.

• 45:53Speaker 01

  Victor Gomez?

• 45:54Matt Farah?

Victor Gomez. That sounds right. And look, I, you know, I want, this is this guy's dream Carrera GT. Like fucking have at it, buddy. Like whatever. Like Porsche is not trying to show this picture because they're trying to sell it to me. They're, this is what they did for a guy. So like the idea that someone who was maybe 15 or 16 in 2000 is now, you know, 35 to 45, you know, years old and, and they couldn't have one of these then, but, but they don't want a silver one now. They want whatever. And, and it needs to go in for major service and bushings and all this and that. And while you're in there, you know, how about Miami blue or whatever?

• 46:33Matt Farah?

We were at that Cars and Coffee, the Helms Bakery and Franz Von Holzhausen showed up in a, in a blue Carrera GT. Light blue that was like fucking hot. It was fucking so sick. The tan interior was like amazing.

• 46:48Matt Farah?

But like, remember when we got that 911 Targa Heritage Edition with the just incredible corduroy interior?

• 46:55Speaker 01

  Perfect interior.

• 46:56Matt Farah?

And then it had the dumb scallops on it, that sticker package?

• 46:59Speaker 01

  Yeah.

• 47:00Matt Farah?

I don't think those 50s and 60s liveries look good on these modern cars at all.

• 47:05Speaker 01

The 911R, I, when those stripes are on it, I just think the spacing's weird. I understand it's historical.

• 47:10Matt Farah?

  Yeah. It just looks weird.

• 47:13Speaker 01

It may have just been from a different era when like people thought they looked cool. Or was it just to identify the car on the track and it was helpful? I don't know, but I just think it looks weird in terms of the spacing of it all and the size of the stripes. And you know, some stuff like this, I don't know, this is just this. I think my mind is so stuck on the, all the hubbub that's going on about Coca-Cola making an AI commercial. And it's, it's Christmas time right now as we're making this and this popped up on my feed. This is if Santa had a Carrera GT. I mean, this is what it would look like, red with white scallops. So that came to mind, but I agree with you that the whole like delivery of this new car is a, is a carryover from this old classic car. I think it rarely works in a really good way.

• 47:54Speaker 01

And most of the time I think it comes across a little bit as like, just a little bit of an imposter. Like even the golf stuff, everyone loved golf livery for so long. And I didn't really get it. I'm like, if you put 76, you know, or Shell station on everything, I get it. It was, they were part of the racing team because they gave them the money. But is it aesthetically the prettiest thing in the world?

• 48:15Matt Farah?

I, I'm not that into golf either, but like, I think it's like, I don't mind a red Carrera GT. Like red is fine. I've seen red one, looks cool. But like with, with the nine 11 heritage edition that had the scallops, which were the top of the pontoon fender scallops, that was off a 356. It was, it was, it was, it was like a racing thing from, from back then. And when you have those, when you see a 356 with them, on a much smaller, daintier car, the scallops make a little more sense, you know? It's a, it's a, it's a much different scaled detail on that other car.

• 49:00Speaker 01

  Sure, great point.

• 49:01Matt Farah?

And on this car, it just, to me, oh, that's the, there's the angle. It just looks really weird on this big car.

• 49:09Speaker 01

Yeah, that's a good point because now you're taking it from a totally different model. And you're going, what if we apply that to this? Does it work?

• 49:16Matt Farah?

Everything else about this car is awesome.

• 49:18Speaker 01

Dude, this car with just that red.

• 49:20Matt Farah?

  Target Heritage, no stickers.

• 49:21Speaker 01

  Oh my god.

• 49:22Matt Farah?

  No, no notes.

• 49:23Speaker 01

  Excellent vehicle.

• 49:24Matt Farah?

Perfect car. Perfect road trip vehicle. Uh, no notes whatsoever. But, uh, that, that, all of that's gotta go. And you can see that, that upper three-quarter angle there, you can see, imagine a 356 coupe. That would make some sense. I mean, it's, that's not my favorite, but like, it would, it wouldn't be awful.

• 49:44Speaker 01

Uh, I'd have to, let me look it up.

• 49:47Matt Farah?

It also looks, it looks a lot better if you have like a white car with red scallops than a red car with white scallops. Cause there's nothing else that's like, white. On the car. It's just white stickers and there's nothing else in the car that, that matches white. White is tough. Like, white stickers?

• 50:07Speaker 01

Yeah, it's just a really sharp contrast here. And you, I, you know, I don't think you'd wanna make the stickers the color of the interior.

• 50:13Matt Farah?

  Cream?

• 50:14Speaker 01

  Cream.

• 50:15Matt Farah?

  Yeah.

• 50:15Speaker 01

But, it's just kinda, it's a jarring color. It's suddenly the absence of color in this very nice metallic red.

• 50:21Matt Farah?

I think that's why. I think that red is so rich too. Also, like, on the 356, that would've been like a pretty flat red. You know, like a, like a lacquer, almost. This is like, like, carmine red. It's like, super candy metallic red.

• 50:36Speaker 01

  Alright, so here's...

• 50:39Matt Farah?

Yeah, so you can, you can imagine those, those scallops on the fender of this car. It's still not my favorite look, but it does make a little more sense.

• 50:49Speaker 01

Yeah, I think it just makes sense with the, the era.

• 50:52Matt Farah?

  Yeah.

• 50:53Speaker 01

And also, actually a big thing is, look at the curve of these fenders. It's just much more obvious, like, the way it drops down into the, I don't know, the curve is more pronounced here on the front of the fender. And the whole car is like, more bubbly.

• 51:05Matt Farah?

  Yeah.

• 51:06Speaker 01

And I feel like the, the scallops kind of lend themselves, like an accent mark to the overall curve. And here, when you look at it, because the cars have gotten so big. Like, this line, also because it's just white, looks really flat.

• 51:18Matt Farah?

  It's much straighter.

• 51:19Speaker 01

From the headlights to the windshield, it's much straighter.

• 51:20Matt Farah?

  Yeah.

• 51:21Speaker 01

I don't think that helps it.

• 51:22Matt Farah?

Yeah, yeah. Anyway, it doesn't help the Heritage either.

• 51:25Speaker 01

  Yeah.

• 51:26Matt Farah?

  It's not my choice.

• 51:27Speaker 01

I do, I think it's cool that you can just send your car, if you're, you know, if you're super rich, you can get it refreshed. Made exactly the way you'd want it, in whatever color you want, and it's from the place where it won't hurt what the value is. You know, it's done by the right company.

• 51:40Matt Farah?

It's like, uh, it's like 600 grand plus. Whatever the car needs mechanically.

• 51:46Speaker 01

  Yeah.

• 51:47Matt Farah?

  Yeah.

• 51:48Speaker 01

Cause they probably take it all apart.

• 51:49Matt Farah?

  Yeah.

• 51:50Speaker 01

  Every panel.

• 51:50Matt Farah?

Yeah. And you know, and they're doing it, uh, classics doing it with, um, you know, it's really popular with them right now is RS four liters. Because everybody wants the nine nine seven R and, and they were all like black or white or silver. Very few of them were any other color besides that.

• 52:08Speaker 01

  People are getting.

• 52:09Matt Farah?

So people are getting them done in like colors now. I saw three when I was at, in, in Atlanta, getting the nine eighteen, they walked me through there. They wouldn't let me take any pictures of anything.

• 52:19Speaker 01

  That's pretty cool.

• 52:20Matt Farah?

And I saw three of them and two were amazing and one was absolutely fucking hideous. They're not saying no to people.

• 52:27Speaker 01

  Yeah.

• 52:28Matt Farah?

They're letting people do whatever they want and like one, one of the other Carrera GTs I saw was amazing and one was worse than this. Notably worse than this. Yeah.

• 52:38Speaker 01

That's a bold choice by people, cause the resale.

• 52:41Matt Farah?

Yeah. You're gonna start seeing some shit.

• 52:43Speaker 01

  Yeah.

• 52:43Matt Farah?

Yeah. I mean, one of the things about a Carrera GT or an F forty, eh, or an F fifty is because of the small color palette, the, the, the resales are actually pretty consistent. You know, like color doesn't really come into play.

• 52:58Speaker 01

Your personal taste doesn't really matter.

• 53:00Matt Farah?

  Right.

• 53:00Speaker 01

  The car is the car.

• 53:01Matt Farah?

Right. Whereas with a lot of other Porsches like GT threes and shit, like, you know, like wild colors can be huge money or be like, oh, what the fuck that is.

• 53:11Speaker 01

  Yeah.

• 53:12Matt Farah?

So you gotta like choose carefully.

• 53:14Speaker 01

  Yeah, choose wisely.

• 53:15Matt Farah?

You know, like your shit may or may not be investment grade anymore, you know?

• 53:20Speaker 01

Yeah. And plus like people's interest in colors goes in kind of a cycle. Like I think everyone's really into green right now.

• 53:25Matt Farah?

  Yeah.

• 53:26Speaker 01

I'm not saying it's just like, I've just noticed around town, there's more greens on twenty twenty five and twenty twenty six cars. But a few years ago, lots of blues. A few years before that, like lots of, it was, uh, you know, the chalk color for years.

• 53:37Matt Farah?

There was Miami, the Miami blue.

• 53:39Speaker 01

  Yeah.

• 53:40Matt Farah?

  Yeah.

• 53:40Speaker 01

So you can choose a color for your restored Carrera GT and you better hope that it's like, uh, an evergreen, no pun intended, color that everybody likes all the time.

• 53:48Matt Farah?

Yeah. I mean. I mean, you know, respect to Franz's fucking taste in dope shit. His fucking, his was awesome. It was really cool. I would, I would have one pretty much just like that.

• 53:58Speaker 01

  Wow.

• 53:59Matt Farah?

I forget if it was like, if it was Miami or Mexico, or it was one of those very bright blues.

• 54:03Speaker 01

  Cool.

• 54:04Matt Farah?

With a fabulous tan interior. It was pretty sweet. Yeah. I also saw Derek Jenkins from, from Lucid. Saw him on Sunday.

• 54:15Speaker 01

  Mm-hmm.

• 54:16Matt Farah?

Uh, in his Countach. You know, he's got a Countach. He has an eighty-six injected car. This motherfucker parked it up. Door closed. No backup camera, no spotter. Did it, did it fucking right up. Without even sticking his head out the door, no sitting on the door sill.

• 54:35Speaker 01

  Or just backed up.

• 54:35Matt Farah?

  Just backed it right in.

• 54:37Speaker 01

  Yeah.

• 54:37Matt Farah?

Door closed. You don't, the rear visibility on this car is very bad.

• 54:41Speaker 01

I bet. That's why I just use like my side mirror in relation to my neighbor.

• 54:45Matt Farah?

  Yeah.

• 54:46Speaker 01

And you kind of go, well, I hope the cars are about the same size.

• 54:48Matt Farah?

No, he backed it up into two, against two curbs into a parking spot with no other car as a reference.

• 54:54Speaker 01

  Wow.

• 54:55Matt Farah?

Just two low curbs, which on those mirrors, that's very tough.

• 54:57Speaker 01

  That is impressive.

• 54:58Matt Farah?

  Yeah, that's very tough. Respect.

• 55:00Speaker 01

The, the rear valence on the Countach is high, right? Isn't like everything angled up?

• 55:04Matt Farah?

Yeah, yeah, yeah. Yeah, you're not gonna curve, you're not gonna hit bodywork.

• 55:07Speaker 01

  Right.

• 55:07Matt Farah?

Uh, probably. Not on the rear. Yeah. Oh, actually, go, go to the, the photos I've tagged in. I think that the, on top, the top right icon there. I think the Carrera go down, that, that's the Carrera GT I was just talking about.

• 55:21Speaker 01

  Oh, wow.

• 55:22Matt Farah?

Like, that, that is pretty exceptional.

• 55:25Speaker 01

  It's hot.

• 55:25Matt Farah?

  Yep.

• 55:26Speaker 01

  Yep.

• 55:27Matt Farah?

That's the, that is absolutely the right color for that kind of a car.

• 55:31Speaker 01

  Shit.

• 55:32Matt Farah?

  Right?

• 55:32Speaker 01

Yeah, with matching, uh, calipers and the center cap.

• 55:35Matt Farah?

  Mm-hmm.

• 55:35Speaker 01

  Perfect.

• 55:36Matt Farah?

I think, I think Graham built that car.

• 55:39Speaker 01

  Damn.

• 55:39Matt Farah?

Yeah. The matching center, uh, uh, center lock thing, the anodized is pretty good.

• 55:46Speaker 01

  Yeah, that's really, really good.

• 55:48Matt Farah?

  Yeah.

• 55:48Speaker 01

Of course it is. He's a car designer.

• 55:49Matt Farah?

Yeah. Why, why would it not be aces?

• 55:53Speaker 01

I was posting, I posted something about these.

• 55:55Matt Farah?

I thought it was fucking tan. I must, oh, wow. What was I looking at with the tan interior? Um, all right, my eyes just see me. I would not make a good witness for fucking crimes sometimes.

• 56:06Speaker 01

  That's true.

• 56:06Matt Farah?

I, I, it's, it is, I could have sworn this was tan.

• 56:10Speaker 01

You just want the interior to be a lighter color, Matt? Is that what you're saying?

• 56:12Matt Farah?

What the hell was I looking at? It was this blue with a tan interior. Huh. How about that? That's very strange.

• 56:20Matt Farah?

  That still looks dope though.

• 56:21Speaker 01

  Wow.

• 56:21Matt Farah?

Even if, even if I was wrong about that, it still looks that is perfect.

• 56:25Speaker 01

  Mm hmm. Nicely done, sir.

• 56:27Matt Farah?

Yeah, very, very good. Shall we go to the people?

• 56:30Speaker 01

Uh, yeah. Oh, wow. Fifty two minutes.

• 56:32Matt Farah?

  Yeah, that's what I'm saying.

• 56:34Speaker 01

  Fifty two.

• 56:34Matt Farah?

That's what I'm saying, motherfucker, over on Patreon, patreon.com slash the smoke and tire podcast. That's where you find all the things. It's where you catch the live stream. It's where you get the show early. It's where you get extra show. It's where you get shows without ads. It's where you get to see my balls. Nope, not that. That's a different site.

• 56:50Speaker 01

  That's a different website.

• 56:51Matt Farah?

Onlyfans.com slash the smoke and tire podcast. That's where you get to see my balls.

• 56:57Speaker 01

Man, if there wasn't one, there is now.

• 56:58Matt Farah?

I know. Someone's gonna make that shit. Um, and of course, it's where our, our patrons have the best usernames of fucking anybody around. Um, let's see, what do we have here? Beep beep noodle is the username chat GPT gave me. I like that. You say that is like murder is the case that they gave me. Beep beep noodle is the name chat GPT gave me. Uh, don't you think a Dino tribute would have been a better fit for the two nine six than the F forty?

• 57:31Matt Farah?

Um, yes, I do, but Ferrari, I think, still has a bit of a chip on their shoulder about the Dino not being like a real Ferrari.

• 57:45Speaker 01

I guess, which is sad considering how celebrated it became and, you know, they, they use it to help market themselves when they want to. I mean, aesthetically, the two nine six is much closer to a Dino.

• 57:57Matt Farah?

  Yeah.

• 57:57Speaker 01

  Than an F forty.

• 57:58Matt Farah?

  Yeah.

• 57:59Speaker 01

  So.

• 57:59Matt Farah?

And the Testa Rosa is LOL, you know? Um, uh, yeah, I mean, that F forty, can you pull up the F, the two nine six F forty tribute? I thought this car looked strange. Um, I don't think, um, I don't think the two nine six and the F forty, uh, were all that compatible in terms of design. I think the end result is this looks like a Maserati MC twenty.

• 58:25Speaker 01

  Yep, sure does.

• 58:26Matt Farah?

  More than anything else.

• 58:27Speaker 01

  Yeah.

• 58:29Matt Farah?

As a matter of fact, if you ask me if I would rather drive this or a Maserati MC Stradale, not even like, not an MC 20, this looks like an MC 12, sorry, MC 12, the old one, the Enzo one.

• 58:42Speaker 01

  Got it.

• 58:43Matt Farah?

I'd rather have an MC 20 than fucking this. MC 20s are pretty.

• 58:46Speaker 01

I don't think they're pretty, but I'd have to see them side by side before I made my choice. I'm just not into the MC 12, never have been.

• 58:52Matt Farah?

  No, what about MC 20?

• 58:54Speaker 01

  The new one?

• 58:54Matt Farah?

  The new one.

• 58:55Speaker 01

The new one I think is gorgeous.

• 58:56Matt Farah?

  That's pretty.

• 58:57Speaker 01

  Yeah.

• 58:57Matt Farah?

I'd rather have an MC 20 than this, than this Ferrari.

• 59:00Speaker 01

  Aesthetically, absolutely agree.

• 59:02Matt Farah?

It's a weird looking car, man.

• 59:03Speaker 01

Yeah, it's a couple different, I don't know, yeah, we talked about it on a previous show.

• 59:07Matt Farah?

This is what Ferrari's doing right now, they're putting three cars in one car.

• 59:10Speaker 01

Yeah, it's like, it feels like, honestly, with, from this shot, this is, we're looking at a wide shot, it looks like this door, because of the crease and the way the light's hitting, it looks like this door was photoshopped onto a different car, like this is three cars. That's what it looks like.

• 59:26Matt Farah?

It does, the center section, the nose and the rear, it looks like the nose and the rear are from one car, but the center section's from a different car.

• 59:35Speaker 01

Yeah, it looks like the nose and the rear from the what, F80, right? And then the middle's from something else.

• 59:41Matt Farah?

  Yeah.

• 59:41Speaker 01

This whole intake thing is strange, and we looked at this weeks ago when it came out, but I remember that this intake is like, what's the word I'm looking for? It's very angular, it's like three straight lines that intersect, and then the rest of the car is very round and swoopy.

• 59:56Matt Farah?

  Yeah.

• 59:57Speaker 01

Just looks really weird and disjointed in my opinion.

• 59:59Matt Farah?

  I'm not that into it.

• 1:00:01Speaker 01

No, 296 is a great looking car, and they definitely could have called it the Dino and probably, I don't know.

• 1:00:06Matt Farah?

But this is a one-off, this is a one-off joint. This is like a coach built thing for somebody with really, really bad taste. That's awful.

• 1:00:17Matt Farah?

Duffle Shuffle Retirement Club, what do you eat for Christmas? Us Jews, we fuck with the Chinese, that's what we do, right? Isn't that, I mean, that's like, there's a...

• 1:00:31Speaker 01

The cliche is, we go to the movies and we get Chinese food, because that's what's open and that's what's not too busy.

• 1:00:36Matt Farah?

Yeah, and I, last year I went and got Chinese food. There's a, there's a place in LA called Genghis Cohen, which is the perfect Chinese restaurant to go on Christmas.

• 1:00:48Speaker 01

Uh, I love, um, have you seen the show Kunk on Everything? Very funny, British comedian.

• 1:00:53Matt Farah?

  Oh, yeah, yeah.

• 1:00:54Speaker 01

  Like, red-haired chick.

• 1:00:55Matt Farah?

I know what it is, but...

• 1:00:56Speaker 01

She's so good at, like, the fake history interviews. And she had put up a thing today that was like, "I just can't believe he's gone." And it was like, the 750th anniversary of Genghis Khan dying. So good.

• 1:01:06Matt Farah?

Uh, oh, man. Christian says, "What are some of your favorite and funniest memories of working at Gotham Dream Cars?" There were a lot, because it was like, kinda like, a little Wild Westy back then. We didn't really know it at the time. Um, but, uh, that, we were... We got to drive the cars a lot more than they got to drive the cars later. I mean, you know, you probably... We probably shouldn't have been driving the cars, but like, that's why those guys got into that business in the first place. So like, it was only natural that like, all the employees wanted the same thing, which was to drive the cars, so we did.

• 1:01:43Speaker 01

Well, in delivering them, I think it was like, we had one trailer. So a lot of times, we'd have to drive the car to a customer, and, and someone else would follow us, and then they would... You know, Thaddeus would follow me, we'd drop off a 599, and then we would, you know, give each other rides back.

• 1:01:57Matt Farah?

Yeah, I mean, i-if it was less than 10 or 15 miles, you'd drive the car. And if it was more than that, you'd trailer it. So you, you did get, you know, a decent amount of seat time in all the cars. And so that was, that, I mean, you know, when I was like, 24 to 30, so I was fucking having a little fun myself, obviously. Um, I mean, you know, and some of the customers were real crazy. Uh, not like, just, just like, you'd rent a Ferrari to someone in the Hamptons for like, a weekend. You know, you'd drop it off at this house in the Hamptons, and you'd come back on Monday to get it. And the thing had only gone like, six miles. But it, it, it's like, it looked like someone smoked like, seven packs of cigarettes in there.

• 1:02:39Matt Farah?

Like, how, how did you have enough time to smoke this many cigarettes? Like, you must have literally just sat there in the car, going nowhere, and smoking cigarettes. Like, that must have been what you did all weekend.

• 1:02:51Speaker 01

Do you think they just drove it, like, to a club?

• 1:02:53Matt Farah?

  Yes.

• 1:02:53Speaker 01

  And sat in front?

• 1:02:54Matt Farah?

  Yes.

• 1:02:54Speaker 01

And just waited till the club let out?

• 1:02:56Matt Farah?

Something like that, yes. Or they just like sat in traffic and smoking with the windows up, you know, for some reason. I mean, we gave them a huge bill for that kind of thing, but like shit like that. And then the other end where they would put it, they would put so many miles on in the day. Where you'd go, did you just drive for like 24 hours straight? And sometimes they'd be like, yes, you know?

• 1:03:18Speaker 01

Which I, and I applaud that kind of, you're like, drive your dream for sure.

• 1:03:21Matt Farah?

Yeah, there it was, that was nuts and.

• 1:03:24Speaker 01

My favorite memory, uh, we did the Gotham driving tour once, remember in Malibu? And I had to drive one of the cars because I think it was like an influencer thing. So like five people were brought in to ride in the cars, but not drive them.

• 1:03:36Matt Farah?

  Right.

• 1:03:36Speaker 01

And then four people got to drive and you needed one extra driver.

• 1:03:40Matt Farah?

  Yeah.

• 1:03:40Speaker 01

So I think you were in the lead, I drove the 599 and this woman who I will leave her name out of this. And I would like to specify with full truth, never hooked up with her, never dated her, never asked her out, et cetera. We're driving with the windows down and all the lead cars kind of, it's in Malibu, there's a straightaway. Everyone kind of goes for a little, little rip. So I do the same thing to keep up with the group as we'll say. And the car's just screaming and she's got like her arm out the window to take a photo or video of what? And all of a sudden, all of a sudden she yells in a very thick like Jersey accent. Oh my God, my boob popped out and like the wind, cause the wind coming around like the buffeting mirrors just rips into the car and like literally ripped her shirt open. And she turned away from me and like fixed her situation.

• 1:04:21Speaker 01

But I was, at the time I was unhappy with that employment for a couple of reasons we don't have to go into. But in that moment, I was pretty stoked on my job.

• 1:04:29Matt Farah?

  Yeah.

• 1:04:30Speaker 01

I saw nothing, but it was one of the funniest moments I've ever had in a car.

• 1:04:33Matt Farah?

That's like from the Italian job where Seth Green gets a stereo that like blows a woman's clothes off, like literally?

• 1:04:40Speaker 01

  Exactly.

• 1:04:40Matt Farah?

  Wow.

• 1:04:41Speaker 01

  This, this really.

• 1:04:44Matt Farah?

You know, you're really selling me on this manual Schwab 599.

• 1:04:48Speaker 01

Just don't put those things on the side mirrors that, uh, you know, direct the air around the cab. You want the air to go into the cab.

• 1:04:53Matt Farah?

  Right.

• 1:04:54Speaker 01

  Magic day.

• 1:04:56Matt Farah?

I mean, and, and I mean, there's a, there was my favorite of all time, which I'm, I'm sure I've said before, but there was a guy who rented the same car. For a half day rental, like, once a week for like a couple months.

• 1:05:08Speaker 01

  Great.

• 1:05:09Matt Farah?

And, we would always, he would always request the same car and, and we had, it was a Gallardo and we had like three or four, yellow Gallardos, and they were all yellow, and they were all had black interior except one had a a two-tone, black and yellow interior, but the rest were all the same. And, it, and he would, he would, it turns out the guy had like met this chick and told her that it was his car, and had to keep up appearances, so we had to keep renting the car. Well, once, his, the one he rented was the black with the yellow, well, once it was in service. But we didn't know, he didn't let us in on the scam.

• 1:05:51Matt Farah?

Right? So we were just bringing him the car, and we thought he liked that car, I want that same car, I want the same car, well, it's available, it's available. Well, this time, you know, we just, we gave him to say, it's a yellow Lambo, what the fuck you care? You know what I mean? And a normal, client, it's a yellow Lambo, what do you care? Well, he had to, to figure out how to tell the girl, well, like, what's the, you know? So he says it's a service loaner, his other one is in the shop, she buy, well, eventually this goes on, he asks her to marry him, uh, she says yes, and rather than say he's sold the car or anything else, he buys the rental car from us to keep up appearances, which is a crazy thing to have done.

• 1:06:33Matt Farah?

Um, I mean, unless, it's like, you know, it's somehow now sentimental and that he really does want that car, but like, like, whatever, but he bought the rental car, to, to keep up his lie.

• 1:06:46Speaker 01

That's a wild, he made two commitments through his dating life, and one, one was to like lead this woman on, and the other one is, he's just guaranteeing his own lifestyle creep, that he's gonna have to buy this car someday to keep up the lie.

• 1:06:58Matt Farah?

  Yeah.

• 1:06:58Speaker 01

So he's just giving himself future maintenance bills.

• 1:07:02Matt Farah?

You think Gotham gave him a discount because he rented it so much?

• 1:07:04Speaker 01

I do not. I do not.

• 1:07:06Matt Farah?

Uh, Isaiah Stanley wants to remind everyone it's the giving season and to give blood, sign up for Be The Match, etc. I think Be The Match has a new name. I think Be The Match rebranded as something else.

• 1:07:19Speaker 01

  Uh, it's giving.nmdp.org.

• 1:07:23Matt Farah?

Oh, great. That's way easier to remember. Thanks, guys.

• 1:07:27Speaker 01

Oh, sorry. MNDP.com, formerly Be The Match.

• 1:07:31Matt Farah?

  MNDP.

• 1:07:33Speaker 01

  Like Nancy, Mary, Donald, Peter.

• 1:07:36Matt Farah?

  Oh, boy.

• 1:07:36Speaker 01

  That is.

• 1:07:37Matt Farah?

NMDP? You should just keep the URL, guys. We're trying to help here. NMDP.

• 1:07:43Speaker 01

  National Marrow Donor Program.

• 1:07:46Matt Farah?

  Well, that makes sense.

• 1:07:47Speaker 01

  Yeah, but I'm with you.

• 1:07:48Matt Farah?

You know, Be The Match was catchy.

• 1:07:50Speaker 01

They should have just kept both. Um, just keep the old website and have it redirect.

• 1:07:55Matt Farah?

I think you need to be 42 or under for Be The Match, but if not, you should give blood.

• 1:07:59Speaker 01

Um, we did a toy drive at my building. Do that. Do something. It feels good.

• 1:08:02Matt Farah?

Uh, I bought Tesla FSD and all I got was this lousy t-shirt. Says, "Opinion of the Devil 16." They apparently delivered a V8 version of the car to customers in 2022, but there's no statistics.

• 1:08:19Speaker 01

Um, have we ever heard of another car company having a car in development for a decade? We can get to that, too.

• 1:08:24Matt Farah?

That just keeps kicking the can down the road. Does that, was that a joke?

• 1:08:28Speaker 01

No, that's the second part of the question.

• 1:08:29Matt Farah?

No, I know, but was that, was that, this person's username was, has a Tesla reference. The Tesla Roadster.

• 1:08:36Speaker 01

  Oh, yeah, that's hilarious.

• 1:08:37Matt Farah?

  Is the other car.

• 1:08:38Speaker 01

Well, there's that one, and there's the Aptera solar-powered tricycle. There's a lot of them.

• 1:08:42Matt Farah?

So, the Devil 16 was this car that this guy said was gonna be 5,000 horsepower. So, do you know, you know what this was? This was a top fuel dragster engine put into a car. That's all it was. So, like.

• 1:08:56Speaker 01

It was a 16-cylinder dragster engine.

• 1:08:58Matt Farah?

  I, I, I.

• 1:09:02Matt Farah?

I was told that it was essentially a top fuel powertrain.

• 1:09:06Speaker 01

  Okay.

• 1:09:06Matt Farah?

But that it has no real cooling. And so it just essentially can't like run.

• 1:09:12Speaker 01

Can I say how absolutely insane what you're saying is? Because on their website, it, the seventh word is "launched at Dubai International Motor Show." You know where you need cooling for your vehicle? In the Middle East.

• 1:09:27Matt Farah?

Yeah, I mean, that, the last I heard was that this car couldn't run because it wasn't like,

• 1:09:34Matt Farah?

like a real car. I mean, it was like a...

• 1:09:38Speaker 01

Yeah, I remember this thing. I remember the press photos vividly.

• 1:09:40Matt Farah?

  Yeah.

• 1:09:41Speaker 01

Uh, unveiled in 2017, it looks, I mean, it looks like it goes 8,000 miles per hour and it's from the future.

• 1:09:49Speaker 01

So they delivered a few with V8s. Oh yeah, and it also said it was gonna have 5,000 horsepower.

• 1:09:53Matt Farah?

That was the thing, I mean, that was the claim. The rest of it, it's like, okay, it's a swoopy supercar like a bunch of other ones, but like, I mean, it just, it, it, I think it was sort of vapory wear, like...

• 1:10:08Speaker 01

Or, or like so many tech things, like, "We're gonna do this. We need the money now, and then we'll figure out how to do this."

• 1:10:12Matt Farah?

Yeah, it's sort of bullshit, so I probably wouldn't give them any money.

• 1:10:19Matt Farah?

Okay. Panic@MyDisco says, "A recent discussion the boys were having on the Cars and Bids podcast got me..." Okay, we get to react to something that someone else said, my favorite. "The slowing of EV, about how the slowing of EV sales may represent the end of an era of higher-than-expected demand for EVs as well as the accelerated development for manufacturers. Uh, will we look back at this period and compare it to the muscle car era of the 60s, Malay's era of the 80s? Is this what this was?" No, I mean, I, I think

• 1:10:49Matt Farah?

there's this, like, it to... First off, peak internal combustion sales were 2017 and have been going, have been down since. So like EV sales are growing, like the slowing of EV sales. EV sales is still growing, just the rate at which they are growing is slowing. You know what I'm saying? That's like saying that, that the, that inflation is down. It doesn't mean that money is back to where it was in 2020. It just means that it's going up fucking slower than it was going up.

• 1:11:25Speaker 01

Right, this, this article from Inside EV says EV, EV sales are on track for their first year over year drop since 2019. So they were selling, you're selling more and more and more of them every year until this year.

• 1:11:35Matt Farah?

  Okay.

• 1:11:36Speaker 01

  So.

• 1:11:36Matt Farah?

Well, but the, you know, the man, the, the tax, the, the tax.

• 1:11:40Speaker 01

  Right, oh yeah.

• 1:11:40Matt Farah?

  Centers were taken away.

• 1:11:41Speaker 01

Yeah, it was a huge hit to them.

• 1:11:42Matt Farah?

  Yeah.

• 1:11:42Speaker 01

  Absolutely.

• 1:11:43Matt Farah?

So, I mean, I think in general globally, EV sales are growing.

• 1:11:52Matt Farah?

And I, I do think ultimately we will get there.

• 1:11:54Speaker 01

Global EV sales jumped 21% in 2025 as Europe surged.

• 1:12:00Matt Farah?

  I mean, that's a lot. 21% is a lot.

• 1:12:02Speaker 01

  It's a huge jump.

• 1:12:03Matt Farah?

It's a big, big jump. So I think, I think, I don't, I don't think it was reasonable to say that we should, that banning internal combustion engines in 2030 or 2035. I don't think that was a reasonable thing to say, but I also don't think, you know, getting rid of all the incentives and fucking cutting the EPA and saying, you know, have at it Hellcat boys, you know? That, that's not gonna help either. Like, that's, that's so fucking dumb. So, I mean, I think eventually we will see a mostly electrified fleet out there eventually. But, and we should incentivize it and we should incentivize, the, the studies are out there.

• 1:12:45Matt Farah?

These cars are, are cleaner, you know, they're, they're in general, they're very safe. They're very clean. The batteries are lasting longer than original predictions. They're decaying less than original predictions, particularly batteries that have active liquid cooling. The batteries that fail most of the time are like old leaf batteries and shit that are air cooled and have just like fins. Like if you have active cooling, like the batteries are really good. So, I mean, I don't know, but yeah. Saab 93 AeroPress launch, like that.

• 1:13:18Matt Farah?

That's one I would have loved to have gone on a Saab launch.

• 1:13:22Speaker 01

I saw a 92X the other day and I went, should I buy one of these? I know it's a WRX, but I've just, I've loved them since I was 20.

• 1:13:27Matt Farah?

  Yeah.

• 1:13:27Speaker 01

And I need to scratch the itch someday.

• 1:13:29Matt Farah?

I mean, I was so disappointed driving the 93 Viggen, but man, did I want to love the 93 Viggen.

• 1:13:36Speaker 01

  They look good.

• 1:13:37Matt Farah?

Yeah. I learned to drive stick on a 900 Turbo. It was fucking great. It was cool.

• 1:13:43Matt Farah?

Do you still make coffee with the AeroPress? If so, what are your go-to recipes and methods? I do an AeroPress once in a while. I really like the AeroPress if I have to be somewhere away from, you know, good coffee. Like, we're going sailing in March. We're gonna be kettle and AeroPress for pretty much the whole week, right?

• 1:14:04Speaker 01

  Yep.

• 1:14:04Matt Farah?

I mean, I don't, we don't want to be fucking with pods and all that shit out there.

• 1:14:09Speaker 01

I use my AeroPress anytime I make coffee at home. That's what I use.

• 1:14:12Matt Farah?

I make a pot at home. I mean, some call it a pour-over, but I have like, the pour-over machines are so funny because they're just fancy-looking fucking Mr. Coffee.

• 1:14:22Speaker 01

That you have to operate yourself.

• 1:14:23Matt Farah?

Yeah, basically. So I have like a Cuisinart that's essentially a Mr. Coffee, and I make a pot of coffee. And as long as your brew ratio is correct and you have a nice burr grinder, you grind fresh beans, no problem. So if I'm doing the AeroPress, what is your AeroPress method?

• 1:14:37Speaker 01

  I do the upside-down method.

• 1:14:39Matt Farah?

  Yeah.

• 1:14:39Speaker 01

Heat the water to 179, pour, you know, make it, pour it half-full with like 20 grams of coffee. Stir it, let it sit for 30 seconds so it blooms, then fill it the rest of the way. And then at one minute, I flip it over and pour slowly, like squeeze it out slowly, and I try to land, be done at the 90-second mark.

• 1:14:58Matt Farah?

That's more or less exactly what I do. I don't set a timer, but, and I, and I, I use one of the AeroPress scoops. Is that 20 grams?

• 1:15:07Speaker 01

  I think it's like 12-ish.

• 1:15:08Matt Farah?

Oh, really? So I should be scooping more than that into one AeroPress?

• 1:15:11Speaker 01

Depends on how strong you want your coffee. And also, like, I'm doing mostly decaf, so I do like, you know, 15 milligrams of decaf and da-da-da.

• 1:15:18Matt Farah?

I don't break out the scale. Yeah, no, 179, I do 180, but okay. And, and I don't want to fucking deal with the scale, so I just do a scoop. But yeah. Don't rob me, says, um...

• 1:15:33Matt Farah?

Thoughts on the California DMV stopping the sale of Teslas for the false self-driving claims? Would Tesla face legal trouble from customers if they admit to not having self-driving? So, alright, I don't, I'm certainly not a lawyer, but, so yeah, I mean, basically, the state of California, the DMV has said that autopilot and FSD are misleading and they have to either rename them or stop selling cars. That's essentially, Tesla is, I forget if it's a counter-suit or in just an appeal, they're fighting it, obviously they're fucking fighting it.

• 1:16:15Matt Farah?

That would be a problem for Tesla, I think.

• 1:16:19Speaker 01

I mean, if they, if they appeal, whatever it goes to, whatever the result is, they're not gonna stop selling cars in California. I'm sure this state still has the biggest take rate and makes up a huge percentage of their market, so they'll just change the wording, and they'll get very clever with it, and that's probably what they'll have to do.

• 1:16:34Matt Farah?

Nope, I mean, look, nobody is better than Elon Musk at saying some cheeky thing that will somehow make him able to skirt a law. You know, like, when it was like, I forgot what, he named something like tits, and he was like, and he came up with a clever acronym, you know, for it, you know, and DOGE and all this kinda stuff, like, he'll, he'll, he'll come up with some way to phrase it that'll make it just barely technically legal.

• 1:17:07Speaker 01

So this year, in quarter three of this year, EVs made up 29% of the new car markets in California, so 30, like, a third of the cars sold in California, new cars, are EVs. He's not gonna just wanna give up that pot of money, especially while the sales of Tesla are going down in Europe. I mean, he needs all the money he can get, and not just buying his own cars with SpaceX money, so, I don't know, we'll figure out what happens.

• 1:17:32Matt Farah?

But what was the second half of the question? I wanna read the wording of that again. The second half of the question, from Don't Rob Me, was, "Would Tesla fake, face legal trouble from customers if they admit to not having self-driving?" Well... They've admitted to the DMV that it's a level two system. Like, they say one thing to the news and to their customers, and they say something different in court and in DMV filings. It's like, very important to recognize that. Like, to the DMV, this is a level two system, same as fucking Ford's uh, Blue Cruise and Chevy's Super Cruise. Those are the same. And Rivian's thing, and whatever else, Porsche's thing, they're all list, they're all the same.

• 1:18:16Matt Farah?

So if they're telling customers, like, for instance, that you can text and drive, which is what Elon's new thing is saying, that you'll be allowed to text and drive, like, you can be ticketed for that. Like, you're actually breaking the law. He's telling you that it's okay to break the law. And like, look, I'm not, I'm not a fucking, I'm not Gandhi. I'm not saying that I have never texted and driven. But like, I'm just saying that this guy is telling you that in this car, you can text and drive.

• 1:18:46Speaker 01

Well, I think the machinery's capabilities don't dictate the law.

• 1:18:49Matt Farah?

  Yeah.

• 1:18:49Speaker 01

So that's the thing. Like, he can, and even if it was a level five system, from what, even if he said it was a level five system, and let's say like, five independent scientists agree, you still have to get the state and the country and NHTSA to go, "Yep, that's true." And then, you can text and drive. But just because he says that the machinery can do it, doesn't mean a police officer is gonna go, "Oh, the guy who sells the thing said it can do that?"

• 1:19:11Matt Farah?

  Yeah.

• 1:19:12Speaker 01

"On your way, sir. Have a good time."

• 1:19:13Matt Farah?

Yeah. Um, so yeah. Oh, this was, uh... Oh, this is this question about, uh, the crash yesterday. Um, uh, okay, so this guy, uh, passed away in the canyons. "Do you think a high-profile accident will change the tides on what's quote, 'allowed' in the canyons?" No.

• 1:19:40Speaker 01

  No.

• 1:19:40Matt Farah?

  No.

• 1:19:41Speaker 01

Cause that's because we watched in the video, they're not going, they're not going the speed limit.

• 1:19:46Matt Farah?

No, those guys aren't, those guys aren't having like a little outing. They're ripping.

• 1:19:50Speaker 01

Right. So they're not doing what is quote allowed.

• 1:19:52Matt Farah?

  Yeah.

• 1:19:53Speaker 01

And I think I'd also add, we've seen, we've talked about this a lot. We've seen a lot of sketchy driving up there. Yes, by car enthusiasts, but a lot of it is people using those roads to commute in cars with bad tires and they are sending it.

• 1:20:06Matt Farah?

  Yeah.

• 1:20:06Speaker 01

Double yellow passes all, all over the place.

• 1:20:08Matt Farah?

I almost got run off the road.

• 1:20:10Speaker 01

  You're right.

• 1:20:10Matt Farah?

In the 12C. A couple of days ago.

• 1:20:12Speaker 01

And that was not someone in a Ferrari or a Porsche or whatever. It's just people making poor choices.

• 1:20:18Matt Farah?

  Yeah.

• 1:20:18Speaker 01

Ultimately. And then so, you know, I don't think they're, I don't think it'll change what's allowed. Maybe they'll raise patrols up there, but I don't know. I don't know if the, I don't know if the CHP has the resources to send more people up there to write tickets to calm people down.

• 1:20:34Matt Farah?

No, I mean, they, they, no, the CHP is in the business of raising money with tickets. So they're going to sit in highways where they can get the most number of people, where their radios and phones work for backup. They're not going to sit up there. I mean, I told the story the other day of the guy who essentially lied to me. You know, the guy who, uh, on the pro show, they got about getting pulled over in the fucking giveaway car. And the, and the guy tried to play it off like he was up there to catch speeders.

• 1:21:03Speaker 01

  Right.

• 1:21:04Matt Farah?

And it turns out his motorcycle was broken down and that's why he was there and he had nothing and he had nobody to call. I mean, you know, he's lucky he was fucking me and I'm a law abiding citizen. But, uh, but honey, look, people go up there and drive fast and some people drive too fucking fast.

• 1:21:21Speaker 01

  Yeah.

• 1:21:21Matt Farah?

And they have really bad crashes and it's a very bad thing and terrible thing when someone dies, but like,

• 1:21:29Matt Farah?

people are making choices, man. Like, you know, like not everybody has like great judgment. I don't think that guy Vince was driving that car, right?

• 1:21:38Speaker 01

Yeah, from the, from the new states, he was a passenger.

• 1:21:39Matt Farah?

And, and this is, we just saw this today, but like, I watched two seconds of that video. I went, holy shit, that car is going fast.

• 1:21:47Speaker 01

  Yeah.

• 1:21:47Matt Farah?

Really. And for me to say that.

• 1:21:49Speaker 01

  Right.

• 1:21:50Matt Farah?

You know how fast a car should be going to look fast in a video like that, in a drive by shot?

• 1:21:54Speaker 01

  Yeah.

• 1:21:54Matt Farah?

We do this for a living, you guys. It is so hard to make a car look like it's going by that fast in a video. You have to be fucking flying.

• 1:22:04Speaker 01

  Yeah.

• 1:22:05Matt Farah?

To do that. Like, wow. Yeah.

• 1:22:10Speaker 01

Yeah, I agree with you. I think, and even if the police made a big presence, they do this with drag racing or drifting areas or whatever it is, like if there's enough hubbub from the public, they will do a big crackdown and maybe they'll spend, we saw this on the 405, remember, there were a couple days in a row where there were four motorcycle police officers within about two miles writing tickets to people that were in the HOV lane without two people in the car. They were posted up like fishermen at a Bass Pro contest and they were just like hooking people and writing tickets and then they'll go away and then people will keep doing the same thing. So I think, you know, the only thing that would change this is if they implemented those speed limiters on cars, you know, like when you buy a new car, it's limited to X speed unless you're in certain areas, but otherwise people are going to make choices.

• 1:22:55Matt Farah?

That was the Nissan GT-R thing and that's what, that's what our friend David Zipper argues for. And it's actually other than, other than the, you know, immature but honest because I want it, there's not a lot of arguments against it, you know, not a lot of like sane ones actually, or rational ones. Oh, that one is about the thing, which we, the thing which we discussed about, front wheel drive NSX says with the recent crash in North Carolina, RIP Greg Biffle. Yeah, I didn't know the guy, but I heard great things about him actually. Can you think of another sport that's lost more to plane crashes? I feel like every 10

• 1:23:36Matt Farah?

years or so NASCAR deals the plane related death. I mean, I, golf, maybe? Golfers have died in plane crashes. I mean, it's not a sport, but like musicians, lots of musicians have died in plane crashes. I mean, like any, anywhere where you've got, like for instance, like in the NBA and NFL and shit like that, right? The teams fly on like big ass fucking team planes. They're jumbo jets. In, in golf, in NASCAR, in music, in other like individual sports, they fly around on little private jets. And like little private jets crash more.

• 1:24:18Matt Farah?

Like, they're just more dangerous. And so mathematically, if you do an activity, or you have a job, or you have a family, or you have a lifestyle where you're flying around in private jets a lot, like, and I'm not trying to like blame Greg Biffle for, you know, I don't know. It's just like, statistically, if you fly around in a fucking private jet all the time, like, you're statistically more likely to die in a crash, because that's what happens. And like NASCAR is like, lots and lots of private jets.

• 1:24:48Speaker 01

It is. It's lots of that. Anything where there's really high net worth individuals that can afford to travel by themselves, and they want to for convenience and stuff, smaller airports, schedule, whatever. But this, last year, there were a thousand, 1,085 general aviation accidents in the United States, with private jets included in this category. So a fifth of those were fatal. You know, and how many commercial airline flight crashes were there in the United States last year?

• 1:25:14Matt Farah?

  Two, three.

• 1:25:15Speaker 01

Right, there were like the two, with the whole FAA thing.

• 1:25:17Matt Farah?

And even that's a bad year.

• 1:25:19Speaker 01

That was an alarming year. I mean, that was a year where the FAA was like, what the fuck is going on? Like, because there are so few of them ever since.

• 1:25:26Matt Farah?

Yeah, and because private jets carry rich people, it's way more likely that when one crashes, it's gonna be somebody like notable.

• 1:25:34Speaker 01

  Right.

• 1:25:35Matt Farah?

You know, whether it's a NASCAR driver or so. How many fucking times doesn't Roger Penske been in like four plane crashes? I seriously think Roger Penske has survived at least two, maybe three plane crashes.

• 1:25:52Matt Farah?

I'm, Zach will figure that out while I move on, but I think, I'm pretty sure Roger Penske's survived multiple plane crashes. Matt's Manx makes meandering many miles magical. Boy, do I love me some alliteration. If you read my road and track pieces, I try and get alliterative at least once a piece. Have I considered a heated vest or gloves for ice racing with the Manx? I mean, dude, like, I'm not gonna be going that fast. And like, I ski, like, I probably go faster skiing than I will go in the Manx. In the, like, in ice races? Like, I'm not gonna go that fast.

• 1:26:31Speaker 01

What's your steering wheel made out of? I think it's like holding on to cold material.

• 1:26:35Matt Farah?

My steering wheel's plastic. And I'm gonna wear gloves.

• 1:26:38Speaker 01

  Yeah, wear gloves, okay.

• 1:26:39Matt Farah?

It's plastic, I'm gonna wear gloves. I'm gonna dress, essentially, I'm gonna dress like I'm skiing, except with driving shoes on.

• 1:26:45Speaker 01

  Totally fine.

• 1:26:46Matt Farah?

  And I'll be totally fine.

• 1:26:47Speaker 01

  Yeah, you're-

• 1:26:47Matt Farah?

Other people have expressed much more concern with me being cold than I, like, like, if you, if you're out skiing for a day, like, I'd probably go forty, fifty miles an hour on skis sometimes, just open to the wind.

• 1:26:59Speaker 01

I'd be amazed if you broke thirty miles per hour with, on ice racing.

• 1:27:02Matt Farah?

On ice racing, I thought you were gonna say skiing, I was like, oh no, definitely.

• 1:27:06Speaker 01

No. Yeah, sixty miles per hour, sure.

• 1:27:08Matt Farah?

If you hit forty, fifty, no problem on skis. You're going fucking fast on skis. Toblerone Malone, "In what situation does it make sense to go with agreed value insurance? For example, if I'm buying a 718 GT4, would I need declared value insurance? Or since most GT4s typically follow the same value trend, it's not really necessary." Here's why you want declared value insurance. It's so that if something happens, you get all your money back. No, like, adjuster. No, like, "Well, this car's totaled, and I spent a hundred grand on it, but insurance is only gonna give me eighty, but eighty doesn't get me the car I just had anymore."

• 1:27:51Speaker 01

  Right.

• 1:27:52Matt Farah?

You know, so like, that's why you want declared value insu- You essentially want declared value insurance for as many things as you can get it for. Like, there's no reason to not get it. The only reason to not get it is because Hagerty literally won't sell it to you for your daily driver. That's the only reason to not have it. Having insurance where you are made whole is the best kind of insurance. Especially, it, it, it costs a little more, but like, for special shit.

• 1:28:23Speaker 01

  Yeah.

• 1:28:23Matt Farah?

You know, you, you, if you can, you should. No reason not to. Here's the other, uh, one reason. Here's one reason. You have like four or five regular cars in your family. Maybe it's your car, your partner's car, and your two teenage children each have a car. And your fucking nanny has a car, whatever. You got a bunch of regular ass cars. Adding the GT4 to that policy, because it is a car that will depreciate, albeit slowly, adding a car to that policy may give you some kind of a bulk discount that's worthwhile. Whereas if you only have one car on an agreed value policy, it's gonna be expensive. If you have agreed value policy with five, six, seven, 10 cars on it, on a per-car basis,

• 1:29:07Matt Farah?

it will be cheap, because they assume you're only driving one car at a time. So like, if you get a bulk discount on your regular plan with the GT4, versus it's the only car on declared value, it may be like, double to insure that car every year. Now, you know, it might, could still be worth it.

• 1:29:25Speaker 01

Yeah, because if the car, if the car goes away two years into it, and they won't give you an agreed value car, then you're getting a lesser vehicle.

• 1:29:32Matt Farah?

100%, yeah, yeah, but like, it's not, it's not fully black and white, because the premium for your first car is gonna be a lot. Yeah. Uh, we talked about this, uh, what, Randy says, what did we think of Angels Landing? And how did we do on the hike? We got up, we got up to Angels Landing fast.

• 1:29:51Speaker 01

  We did.

• 1:29:52Matt Farah?

  I think.

• 1:29:53Speaker 01

  We hauled ass.

• 1:29:54Matt Farah?

I think we got to the base of the chains in 90 minutes.

• 1:29:59Speaker 01

I thought we did all the way to the top in 90.

• 1:30:01Matt Farah?

Was it all the way to the top in 90? It was, it was, it was fast. It was faster than I've ever done it. I've probably done that hike 10 times, including when I was like, 22 years old, and I did it faster than that. It was awesome.

• 1:30:13Speaker 01

  That was cool.

• 1:30:14Matt Farah?

But it's challenging. Um, for a hike that, where the terrain, like, the terrain isn't challenging until you get to the chains. And then it's like, kind of extremes.

• 1:30:22Speaker 01

  Yeah.

• 1:30:23Matt Farah?

Um, but what a fucking view.

• 1:30:24Speaker 01

  Super fun, great view.

• 1:30:25Matt Farah?

I, I, possibly the best view in the continental United States, from the top of that.

• 1:30:29Speaker 01

  Amazing.

• 1:30:30Matt Farah?

It's so dope. And now there's like, nice hotels there, there's like, good food to eat, like, it's a nice, nice place to visit.

• 1:30:38Speaker 01

  Yeah, it is.

• 1:30:38Matt Farah?

A lot to do. Every car YouTuber's V8 Vantage.

• 1:30:43Speaker 01

Shout out to Thomas from Throttle House.

• 1:30:46Matt Farah?

  Oh, man.

• 1:30:47Speaker 01

Oh, he got the 4.7 too. He got the old engine. Thomas from Throttle House is advantage.

• 1:30:51Matt Farah?

  You got the 4.3?

• 1:30:52Speaker 01

  4.3, sorry.

• 1:30:53Matt Farah?

4.3. Oh, he really, he really tried for it, huh?

• 1:30:56Speaker 01

I don't know, whoever, he sold it to him, they, I saw a Reddit thread about it, like, why didn't he do this? And, and the owner of the shop that sold it to him responded, like, the only problems with that engine is X, and we fixed it, like, you can just do that repair, so it should be solid.

• 1:31:09Matt Farah?

Oh, I never refer to it in terms of that, in terms of being problematic, the 4.3. It just, it makes a lot of noise, but not a lot of power. The 4.7 makes more power, but whatever.

• 1:31:20Speaker 01

But he owned an Alfa, so he's used to that.

• 1:31:22Matt Farah?

Whatever, man. A fucking cheap Aston's a cheap Aston. Have a good time.

• 1:31:25Speaker 01

  God, they look good.

• 1:31:26Matt Farah?

Why does nobody in the car community talk about Paul Walker and Jerry Seinfeld having inappropriate relationships with minors? Oof. Um, I mean, I don't think nobody does.

• 1:31:37Speaker 01

Well, Kristen Lee, I remembered when I saw this question, she, she wrote a great article for Jalopnik a long time ago about this exact thing, and then a few weeks later posted her, like, the emails she'd received from people in response to this. But, uh, yeah, it's a totally valid thing to bring up. And, I mean, I think it's, you know, a little problematic, and Paul's gone, so.

• 1:31:59Matt Farah?

Yeah, I mean, Paul's gone, he's not here to either defend himself or, or be, be punished, I guess, I mean, uh...

• 1:32:07Speaker 01

He met this girl when she was 16, he was 33.

• 1:32:09Matt Farah?

Yeah, that's, that's not great. That's not great. Uh, you know, not great. I, I certainly would not make that choice.

• 1:32:19Matt Farah?

I mean, I don't know, I guess it's like, maybe better that he, like, stayed with her the whole time? Like, you know, it's not like...

• 1:32:27Speaker 01

Oh, that's true. They were together when he died.

• 1:32:28Matt Farah?

Yeah, they were together until the, the whole time, um, which, I don't, I don't know if that's better or not, it just is, is a thing. It's...

• 1:32:38Speaker 01

It's very subjective. It seems better. It's like, oh, this was a genuine connection that lasted and endured.

• 1:32:43Matt Farah?

Sure, sure. I think that's like a little better.

• 1:32:46Speaker 01

It's like, it's like if two people meet and they both cheat on their spouses, they meet and then they stay married for 40 years, right?

• 1:32:51Matt Farah?

  Yeah.

• 1:32:52Speaker 01

Like, they leave their spouses for some... Someone else, but then they go, okay, at least it was for something and it wasn't just like you both had, you had an affair and then, you know, went back to your wife for whatever.

• 1:33:02Matt Farah?

Yeah, like I don't, I don't know if I should be like the arbiter of like what the sliding scale is of problematic behavior. I'm sure there's probably someone like Christian or some, somebody else that's not me that's better for that job. Anybody really, but like, yeah, it's not great. It's not great. And like Jerry, like, yeah, that was also not great. But also he's been married to the same woman for like 25 years and like,

• 1:33:32Matt Farah?

it didn't seem like that was like a, A, I think she was over the age of consent in New York at the time. She was not a minor, but.

• 1:33:41Speaker 01

Uh, that's true. They never went out until she turned eighteen.

• 1:33:43Matt Farah?

But, uh, so like, okay, but you know, it's like, not great. It's not great. But like, I, and I, I don't personally need to like defend him. But also he's been married to the same woman for 20 plus years and has two kids with them and it was not, that wasn't something that I felt it ever was like a, a, a pattern of behavior that was problematic, the one person.

• 1:34:07Speaker 01

  Good point, right.

• 1:34:08Matt Farah?

And like, he didn't continue doing that. Like, guy, super famous, young, hot chick. I, you know, I don't fucking know. I can't, I don't know how to be in that shoes. Not great, not great, if you ask me, but also like a long time ago and not a pattern.

• 1:34:25Speaker 01

Right. Yeah. Rich, famous artists are not always known for their choices, their best choices.

• 1:34:30Matt Farah?

Yeah. Is, is it going to stop me from talking to Jerry about cars? It is not. It is not. Which is the only thing I ever talk to him about.

• 1:34:39Speaker 01

I was gonna say like, most of what we focus on this show is cars, but we want to acknowledge your question.

• 1:34:44Matt Farah?

  Oh, yeah.

• 1:34:45Speaker 01

We probably aside with your opinion or roughly this person's opinion.

• 1:34:50Matt Farah?

Yeah. My official ruling is double not great.

• 1:34:52Speaker 01

Double not great. Don't, don't do that.

• 1:34:55Matt Farah?

Yeah. I rec, I would recommend against that. Uh, Cadillac bro ham and cheese.

• 1:35:01Matt Farah?

Twenty-nine and just got my dream land yacht, a ninety-one Cadillac Brougham. It's pronounced Brahm, but if you, but everybody. Everybody should go see The Great White Hype immediately. We'll talk about it on the Patreon.

• 1:35:16Speaker 01

  Brogam.

• 1:35:17Matt Farah?

Yeah, it's a Merlot Broham. It's a, it's a, it's a blue Cadillac Broham with a velour interior. I want to get a watch that matches the vibe aesthetic of the Cadillac.

• 1:35:29Matt Farah?

I mean, if you got money, if you got a little bit of money, not a ton of money.

• 1:35:34Speaker 01

I don't think they do because they have a ninety-one Cadillac Brougham.

• 1:35:37Matt Farah?

But that's his dream. Like, you, if you have a dream and your dream is thirty-five hundred dollars.

• 1:35:44Speaker 01

  Right.

• 1:35:45Matt Farah?

  You know, alright, so.

• 1:35:48Speaker 01

I'm not saying, I'm not saying, you should have inexpensive dreams. That's the best kind.

• 1:35:51Matt Farah?

If you have a few thousand dollars, okay, which is real money, but not all the money. You should get a two-tone Rolex Datejust with like a white dial, which is basically what a seventy-five-year-old golfer would have been wearing in like nineteen ninety-one.

• 1:36:09Speaker 01

But would you get it like a blue, do you want the color to match the car?

• 1:36:13Matt Farah?

  Oh, the color?

• 1:36:15Speaker 01

Like it's a triple blue car. So I'm thinking if you had a white watch, a white face Rolex or whatever.

• 1:36:20Matt Farah?

  Yeah.

• 1:36:20Speaker 01

It would pop because the whole car is blue, blue, blue, blue, blue.

• 1:36:23Matt Farah?

  Mm-hmm.

• 1:36:23Speaker 01

But if you are already the guy with a triple blue car and if you wear blue shoes a lot, like if you want to lean in. The good news is there's a lot of watches out there that have dark blue faces.

• 1:36:34Matt Farah?

Yeah. I, I, I don't think we need to matchy-matchy the color with the watch. Plus, because I don't know the exact blue, it would be tough to match it. But like, peak ninety-one would be, do you know what a Movado museum is? Yeah, I bet you do. Google Movado museum. I bet you know what it is. It's, it's, it's such an iconic watch of like what a businessman, oh, add the word "watch." Sorry, it's not, not literally the museum. It's like.

• 1:37:05Speaker 01

  Oh.

• 1:37:05Matt Farah?

It's, yeah, oh, there you go, images, that's it. Yeah, sorry. I apologize. It's this watch. There's just the, the gold case, black face with the one little round thing at the twelve o'clock position. That is the nineteen ninety-one businessman aesthetic extraordinaire, right?

• 1:37:26Speaker 01

Okay, yeah, this is like, they took Citizen watches and they reduced them even more.

• 1:37:30Matt Farah?

This is what Kim Jong Il wore.

• 1:37:33Speaker 01

  Really?

• 1:37:36Speaker 01

  Wow.

• 1:37:36Matt Farah?

So if you want to be 91, if you want to be 91, you fuck with this, with the Movado Museum, yeah.

• 1:37:41Speaker 01

  Okay.

• 1:37:41Matt Farah?

And believe it or not, this is like, uh, this is like a Swiss automatic movement. It's like not a piece of junk. It's just, it's just an outdated style.

• 1:37:48Speaker 01

A thousand bucks, yeah, this is an expensive watch.

• 1:37:51Matt Farah?

They have a quartz one, I think, that's cheaper.

• 1:37:53Speaker 01

Yeah, do they have a way?

• 1:37:55Matt Farah?

  There you go.

• 1:37:55Speaker 01

There you go, that matches the caddy.

• 1:37:57Matt Farah?

  Yeah.

• 1:37:57Speaker 01

That would kinda work with the silver.

• 1:37:59Matt Farah?

  That blue's not bad, actually.

• 1:38:00Speaker 01

That's not bad, with all the silver on it.

• 1:38:02Matt Farah?

I'll fuck with that blue, it's okay.

• 1:38:03Speaker 01

  There you go.

• 1:38:04Matt Farah?

  Yeah, it's alright.

• 1:38:04Speaker 01

  There you go, bro, him.

• 1:38:06Matt Farah?

Yeah, I kinda dig this one. That one's pretty cool, blue lacquer dial.

• 1:38:11Speaker 01

That blue is a lot like Toyota 4Runner blue. Not a bad thing.

• 1:38:15Matt Farah?

  Yeah.

• 1:38:16Speaker 01

  Just saying it.

• 1:38:16Matt Farah?

Yeah, it's the Battleship Gray of blues.

• 1:38:19Speaker 01

It is, yeah, it's the Pacific Northwest dark blue.

• 1:38:22Matt Farah?

  Right, right, right.

• 1:38:27Matt Farah?

More than you can afford, pal, Mark IV Supra.

• 1:38:31Speaker 01

  So good.

• 1:38:34Matt Farah?

Matt, you mentioned the sim didn't work because you're a feel driver. Does that translate to your golf game where you're a feel player? Or do you like numbers and distance stats? Well, I like a yardage number. I like to know how far I need to hit the ball. Uh, I do, um...

• 1:38:53Matt Farah?

I mean, golf is the most feel game that like there is, right? Cause your golf swing is supposed to be the exact same motion every time.

• 1:39:01Speaker 01

  Yeah.

• 1:39:02Matt Farah?

All you change is your, the, the position of the ball in your stance. Your, the position of your grip on the club, do you choke up, choke down? Um, and the, and the angle of your feet. Those are your three things you're really supposed to change. Your swing should be exactly the same every time. So, that kinda shit you have to feel out. It's the only way to do it.

• 1:39:22Speaker 01

  Mm-hmm.

• 1:39:23Matt Farah?

At the same time, knowing the yards does help. Numbers, numbers help in golf.

• 1:39:28Speaker 01

Yeah, cause you know what range you can hit x club. And so you don't wanna pull, you know, grab a driver when it's 100 yards away.

• 1:39:34Matt Farah?

Yeah, I do really like- If I have to play, I like walking on a golf course if you can. A lot of, a lot of modern golf, you don't walk anymore. Um, but when there is a cart and you have the, you know, golf GPS and you've got your, your info. And it's like, not just, you know, this many yards to the green, but it's like, you know, I gotta, I got a 120 carry to clear the ravine, but I gotta stop it before 150 because then it's in the water. You know, I like to, I like to know that. Cause then it's like, do I hit a high that stops or do I hit a low, you know, roller kind of thing?

• 1:40:07Speaker 01

Yeah. Cause even if you're driving with field, you, you also want to know that this, this turn is fourth gear, not second.

• 1:40:13Matt Farah?

  Those numbers are important.

• 1:40:14Speaker 01

  Your braking distance. Yeah.

• 1:40:15Matt Farah?

Yeah. Yeah. Uh, Renee says, I'm looking to buy a second gen Panamera Turbo for a daily, but I'm having a hard time finding it in good, one in a good condition. What would I miss if I were to get the GTS instead? Second gen, that would have been a turbocharged engine versus a naturally aspirated V8. Um, actually I think the fucking second gen GTS is pretty hot and makes, makes plenty of horsepower. It's like over 400 horsepower, maybe 430 or 440, has a great sound, similar, uh, chassis, steering dynamics between the turbo. The GTS might actually ride and handle better, depending on what options the turbo would have had.

• 1:40:54Matt Farah?

But you're down about a hundred horsepower. That's where you're down. So if you're up at altitude and that, that horsepower really matters. Other than that, pretty similar experiences.

• 1:41:03Speaker 01

  It'll sound rad. Yeah.

• 1:41:04Matt Farah?

  It's a good car.

• 1:41:05Speaker 01

Put pipes on if you want to.

• 1:41:06Matt Farah?

Yeah. I was on the press launch for the second gen GTS. So you can go back and watch my video from 2013 or 15 or whatever that was. And it was a nice little potato. I remember the car was red and I drove it in the rain. Uh, two guys in the back of Alexis, Texas.

• 1:41:24Speaker 01

I love that name. It's so funny.

• 1:41:26Matt Farah?

Which car has the best resting bitch face?

• 1:41:31Speaker 01

Uh, I've thought for a long time, the Kia Soul looks like Marvin the robot. From kind of sad resting face. I guess it's not really bitch face, but that one is just very anthropomorphic to me.

• 1:41:41Matt Farah?

  From a hitchhiker's guy?

• 1:41:42Speaker 01

  Hitchhiker's guy, yeah.

• 1:41:43Matt Farah?

I mean, the, the, the Ioniq 6 and the general Hyundai catfish vibe. Is got a real Karen, I want to see the manager look about it, you know?

• 1:41:55Speaker 01

  I totally agree.

• 1:41:58Speaker 01

It's just kind of, it's the flat terse lips, right? That are pulled back but not smiling or frowning, just irritated.

• 1:42:04Matt Farah?

  Right, right.

• 1:42:07Speaker 01

  Even before the refresh too.

• 1:42:10Matt Farah?

Yeah. That, right? Oh, that, now the Ioniq 6 has a fucking, has an are you fucking kidding me face? That's a look.

• 1:42:23Speaker 01

Well, this is the older one. This is the 23.

• 1:42:25Matt Farah?

So, but that's an are you fucking kidding me face? The fish mouth was really the Elantra.

• 1:42:32Matt Farah?

This one is just a straight across, deadpan, you know?

• 1:42:39Matt Farah?

  That's a good question though.

• 1:42:40Speaker 01

  I like this question.

• 1:42:41Matt Farah?

What else has a resting bitch face?

• 1:42:45Matt Farah?

  Huh?

• 1:42:46Speaker 01

  Need to look at...

• 1:42:49Matt Farah?

  That's a really hard one.

• 1:42:51Speaker 01

  Yeah, it is. Nope.

• 1:42:55Matt Farah?

The Lexus trucks with the shredder grill?

• 1:42:59Speaker 01

It's a very like, it's a shredder face, so. Now, was, behind that mask, was shredder a resting bitch face? Or was he smiling, or was he mad? We don't really know. We saw the eyes, they scowled a lot. You know, who is the man behind the mask, so to speak?

• 1:43:13Matt Farah?

He was just, he had a fucking shit-eating grin on the entire time.

• 1:43:16Speaker 01

He's fighting turtles, like, what a pussy, you know?

• 1:43:20Matt Farah?

Yeah, if your name is shredder and you're fighting turtles, you suck.

• 1:43:25Matt Farah?

The toking tire, $60,000 budget. Should I get a used Boxer GTS or a C63S? For sometimes daily driving and North Carolina backroads? I have a TRX as the other daily. I'd get the Boxer.

• 1:43:42Speaker 01

Yeah, the C63 is almost, it's not the same as a TRX, but it's similar. It's like, forced induction, it's that. So, the Boxer will be a little bit more fun and different.

• 1:43:52Matt Farah?

  Yeah.

• 1:43:52Speaker 01

Daily a TRX, the fuel bill.

• 1:43:56Speaker 01

  Must be insane.

• 1:43:57Matt Farah?

Yeah. Quadrofolia face. Uh, I have my father-in-law's 73 Jag E-Type V12 automatic. It's got 39,000 miles on it. It's in good shape, except for the headliner, but hasn't run in a couple of years. I'm overwhelmed with what to do with it. I have plenty of cars that are better to drive, but I want to keep it because it's cool. Uh, for a while they were putting I-Pace drive trains in them, but no more. So, keep the maintenance nightmare V12, but manual swap it?

• 1:44:25Speaker 01

  Yes.

• 1:44:26Matt Farah?

I, I would, yeah. I think if you can find someone to do a, a factory level manual swap on that, then you'll have a much more fun thing to play with. I get wanting to keep it. Um, and, and the funny thing about E-Types is like, they're so cool and they're so pretty, but there's actually kind of a lot of them. And the values are like really all over the place. Like they can be, they can be 20 grand or 300 grand. And from 50 feet away, you can't tell which one you're looking at for the most part, you know? Um, the V12s are not as desirable as the, um, the six-cylinder cars, but you could certainly make them sound fucking cool. I mean, they, they will, they do sound awesome.

• 1:45:08Matt Farah?

So, um, the right exhaust and the right tuning, that thing could be pretty rad. And yeah, manual swap. Yeah. Um.

• 1:45:18Matt Farah?

Let's see. Um, well, I don't have the answer to this next question. Do you want to try this one, Zach?

• 1:45:25Speaker 01

  Um.

• 1:45:26Matt Farah?

  Or you want to?

• 1:45:28Speaker 01

Well, the question is basically, why does Subaru sponsor stuff like, like Jim Kana?

• 1:45:32Matt Farah?

This is Matt's video taught us stick. Now my son and I daily manual.

• 1:45:36Speaker 01

You know, when on the product side Subaru's doing, doing the ultimate minimum for the enthusiast market. I think this is an interesting question. Like Subaru sponsors is a big sponsor of Goodwood Revival. And I think they also have sponsored, uh, the Isle of Man TT for a number of years. Like. It's almost like there's a side of Subaru that it's the black sheep of the family. They give the marketing team a huge amount of money and they're like, "Yeah, yeah, yeah, get out of here. We're gonna sell Outbacks. Stop bothering us. We know we used to make STIs. We're not doing that anymore. So just, here's your check and just go on vacation again." And then they do rad stuff with their money. So I don't know if they're just trying to keep the flame alive because they used to make awesome enthusiast products and a way to keep, you know, people like myself. I was a big fan of Subaru in my twenties. I owned one.

• 1:46:21Speaker 01

They don't really make cars that excite me anymore. But if they want to stay in my good graces, they go, "Hey, we still do this rad shit." And you know what? It kinda works. When I see their name on these events or sponsoring Jim Kana, I go, "Hey."

• 1:46:33Matt Farah?

  They're still there.

• 1:46:35Speaker 01

They're still doing cool stuff and maybe they will one day.

• 1:46:38Matt Farah?

Yeah, that's a better answer than I would have given. I like that. I don't have an answer for the next one. We don't have enough information there. Pugs and Porsches. What is keeping Porsche from making the 911 smaller? A few things. One is the endless desire to keep moving the engine further towards the middle. And to do that, you keep moving the wheels further away backwards, right? That's how that works. Then you have your pedestrian impact, which makes the front of the car bigger. And then you have customers that endlessly will say they want more room, more luxury, more this. And then you have safety features and stuff that have gotta fit somewhere, you know.

• 1:47:20Speaker 01

Sound deadening stuff. They go, "It'd be cool if the car was a little quieter." And so they go, "All right, we gotta put in a little more padding or a new kind of window or whatever."

• 1:47:27Matt Farah?

Yeah. It needs to have more grip, which means wider tires, which means bigger wheel arches. It then needs, you know, better brakes.

• 1:47:34Speaker 01

  That's a big one.

• 1:47:34Matt Farah?

You know, it's just, and on and on and on and on and on. Yeah. I think it would be, it would be an amazing thing, but I don't know what it will take for us to see the next generation be actually smaller than... I mean, look, if you, the hybrid engine, even though, in the Turbo S, the new hybrid engine, even though the car is heavier, the engine is smaller. It's lowered. It doesn't have, like, if you look at the... I bet, can you, I bet you can Google "side by side." 911 Turbo S engine, because they had a stand with the engine side by side. And I bet you a bunch of people took photos of it.

• 1:48:20Matt Farah?

So in the, there's probably, hmm, I wish someone fucking had it. So basically, um, the, you know, in, in, in the past, right up until this hybrid thing, right? Everyone is, so you had, you had the engine accessory, the block is flat, right? It's a flat six. But the engine itself, if you look at a Porsche engine on a stand, the engine's not actually flat. It's, it's like a truncated pyramid almost, right? And so, and so that's because all this, the accessories and all the other stuff that have to run off the drive belt are stacked on top of the block.

• 1:48:59Speaker 01

  Right.

• 1:48:59Matt Farah?

Like your air conditioning stuff and all, your alternator and blah, blah, blah. Because the new one gets rid of all that shit. All those accessories run off the 400 volt. The starter motor is the PDK motor generator. So it doesn't, so the actual motor itself is way flatter now and like wider as compared to the old one. So I don't know like volumetrically if it's much smaller. But if you like look at them side by side, it certainly does appear to be smaller. The car isn't, but the, the engine appears to be smaller.

• 1:49:35Speaker 01

  Right.

• 1:49:37Speaker 01

  I don't know, that's too slow, okay.

• 1:49:38Matt Farah?

  That's okay.

• 1:49:39Speaker 01

Looks like the old engine is indeed very tall and.

• 1:49:41Matt Farah?

It is, yeah, and the new one is not. So the center of gravity is lower. It's pretty neat, actually.

• 1:49:49Matt Farah?

Drift, it says, have you driven? Yeah, we did. Didn't we review this?

• 1:49:53Speaker 01

  We reviewed the Forerunner.

• 1:49:56Matt Farah?

  Review the Forerunner.

• 1:49:57Speaker 01

You drove the Land Cruiser. I have not driven any of the new Land Cruisers.

• 1:50:00Matt Farah?

Okay, I drove the Land Cruiser with the four cylinder hybrid. Yeah, I thought it was fine. It was fine.

• 1:50:08Matt Farah?

I, maybe I did an Instagram review of it, or something like that. Um, yeah, it was, it was totally fine. I mean, it wasn't exciting at all, but I went, I drove it around in the street and I went off-roading with it and it was effective at the thing it was supposed to do.

• 1:50:24Matt Farah?

I probably would not get the bigger engine. I wouldn't get a loaded up Land Cruiser. I'd get a middle one. If I wouldn't get the bigger engine, at that point, I would just get the Lexus, you know?

• 1:50:38Matt Farah?

Cool. Oh, are we winding down our program? And that was it, huh? Yeah, that's it. Uh, when is this going up, this show? This is Tuesday, tomorrow, or Thursday? I think it's, this one's Friday. This one's Friday, okay. So, Friday, so this will still be up, because there's six days left in the auction. So my NSX is up there on Cars and Bids. A lot of action in the comments, a lot of, a lot of bids so far. Sitting at 150K as of Monday, so we're gonna do that, uh, that auction ends on, what is it? The 9, the 9, the 29th? I think it ends on the 29th. We're gonna do a show, a live show for when it ends. It ends December 29th at 10:30 a.m. Pacific, 1:30 p.m. Eastern. So, Zach and I will be here, live.

• 1:51:23Matt Farah?

Correct. Counting down the minutes, and we find out if I made or lose money. 12:29. Yeah. Yep. So, uh, photos by Thaddeus. There are a great many photos. 369 photos. There's a lot of photos. That would be a new record. Lot of photos. Uh, you should see the underside photos, because the car is, is absolutely immaculate. Um, thank you to our patrons especially. We love you all and your usernames, uh, but sep, together, not separately. And, uh, we will, uh, we'll see you guys next week, right? Christmas and New Years, the show will be up Friday, because they come on a Thursday. So you'll have figured that out by now. So if this one's up on the 26th, the next one is gonna be up on, on January 2nd.

• 1:52:08Matt Farah?

2nd, yes, January 2nd. Um, again, thanks. Love you all. Oh! I'll plug it next show. Let's do the next show, yeah. Save a next show. Nah, we're out. Bye.
