I can see him. Like, I was [BLEEP].

• 0:52Speaker 04

Hey, are you upset you missed out on the live show tour?

• 0:55Speaker 05

Well, don't be, because we still have one show left to do.

• 0:57Speaker 04

Brandon, where is that show at?

• 0:59Speaker 05

  Beautiful Las Vegas.

• 1:01Speaker 04

  During what week?

• 1:02Speaker 05

During the week of SHOT Show. So this will be our last show of the tour on January 20th at the Venetian Theater, and this one will be a double feature with The Gundy's. So if you buy your ticket, it gets you access to both The Gundy's and the Unsubscribe Live Show. Two tickets for the price of one.

• 1:14Speaker 04

So come hang out, have a blast, and then have a little SHOT Show experience, too, right, Brandon?

• 1:20Speaker 05

In fact, I would say the best part of SHOT Show.

• 1:21Speaker 04

  The drinking and hanging out.

• 1:23Speaker 05

Literally, the only part we care for anymore. So if you want to get the chance to hang out with some of your favorite people in the gun sphere, and also just have a fucking good time and see one of our live shows, go check out the tickets. They're available down in the description.

• 1:33Speaker 04

• 1:35The Fat Electrician?

There's gonna be chaos, and I love it.

• 1:36Speaker 05

  Probably.

• 1:37The Fat Electrician?

  It's the host versus guests.

• 1:40Speaker 01

I can be seen and not hurt. It's okay. I'm scared.

• 1:43The Fat Electrician?

  Brandon's son, stop talking.

• 1:45Speaker 01

  Okay.

• 1:45The Fat Electrician?

  Brandon's son.

• 1:48Speaker 05

We really do have like a Captain America Civil War.

• 1:53Speaker 04

Everyone on the count of three, ready? Get that drink up.

• 1:55Speaker 05

  Oh shit.

• 1:56Speaker 04

  Three, two, one.

• 2:03Speaker 05

You gonna be donut this time?

• 2:05Speaker 01

I can. You want me to be? Yeah.

• 2:07Speaker 05

  Be donut for me?

• 2:07Speaker 01

What is it? I don't know about that. Hi, everybody. Welcome to the Unsubscribe Podcast. Today, we are joined by several of my good friends, Eli DoubleTap, Fat Electrician Nick, my father, Brandon Herrera, me, my friend, Oompa Ville, also known as Caleb, and TikTok.

• 2:25Speaker 03

  Don't.

• 2:28Speaker 05

  The Chinese smile.

• 2:30Speaker 04

  Call me Chris.

• 2:31The Fat Electrician?

Be TikTok here in the flesh.

• 2:33Speaker 01

  Sorry, sorry. Also, my barber.

• 2:37Speaker 04

That's what it's gonna be, TikTok barber.

• 2:41Speaker 03

  I'm leaving.

• 2:44Speaker 05

It's all right. We've got you in the thumbnail.

• 2:49Speaker 01

She could lose all of our subscriber counts combined and never notice.

• 2:54Speaker 05

  Ow.

• 2:56Speaker 01

Yeah. So, anyway, here with some friends. I already had my episode. I feel like I'm a pirate. I'm intruding. So Eli, someone take over.

• 3:05Speaker 04

I'm gonna just go from there.

• 3:07Speaker 01

  I'm scared, yeah.

• 3:08Speaker 04

Everyone's here for the range day, Brandon and Cody, and Matt put on a fantastic range day.

• 3:13Speaker 05

  Nobody died.

• 3:14Speaker 04

  No one died.

• 3:16Speaker 05

That's the only thing I care about. Everybody had a good time, and more importantly, nobody got shot, so.

• 3:21Speaker 04

  Next year.

• 3:21Speaker 05

I see this as an absolute win.

• 3:23Speaker 03

  Definitely.

• 3:24Speaker 01

It was a fantastic time. Thank you all very much. It was awesome. Very well done. Every time I meet new people, gonna hang out with cool guys, so.

• 3:30Speaker 05

I'm glad you guys enjoyed it.

• 3:31Speaker 01

That's, uh, I do it for you.

• 3:34Speaker 04

And the flyer were like, man, 80 million subscribers across all channels. Chris takes up 95%.

• 3:42Speaker 03

But I'm just the TikTok barber.

• 3:46Speaker 01

  Call me Chris.

• 3:50Speaker 01

  Because you needed an introduction.

• 3:52Speaker 04

It's been so long. Now you're all here.

• 3:54Speaker 03

Yeah. When were we here last time?

• 3:56Speaker 05

  January 3rd.

• 3:57Speaker 03

Was it January? It's been almost a year.

• 3:59Speaker 05

Awfully specific. If he nailed that date, I'm gonna be shocked.

• 4:02Speaker 04

  I guarantee it.

• 4:03Speaker 05

It was. Yeah. We flew in, we drove in the second. It was the third. Damn.

• 4:08Speaker 03

  Damn.

• 4:09Speaker 04

My son also has that super.

• 4:13Speaker 04

  You just converse way better.

• 4:17The Fat Electrician?

Brandon's like, it is four hours and 13 minutes to drive there, daddy. I'm like, cool.

• 4:24Speaker 04

  Dope, my son.

• 4:25Speaker 05

  That's crazy. I don't remember asking.

• 4:30The Fat Electrician?

Oh, I love him. How you guys got in yesterday or two days ago?

• 4:34Speaker 06

  Two days ago.

• 4:35Speaker 03

  Yep.

• 4:36The Fat Electrician?

And then did you have a blast?

• 4:37Speaker 06

  Yeah, yeah, absolutely, yeah.

• 4:39The Fat Electrician?

  Huge firearm. You love firearms.

• 4:41Speaker 06

I love guns. Yeah. There's guns everywhere. Actually, when we first met, I cleaned them up. Before she came over for the first time.

• 4:49Speaker 03

  Yeah.

• 4:50Speaker 06

So, presentation guns? Yes, exactly. Maybe have some smaller ones. Locked them out for present. I put some smaller, more fun looking ones. Like, I have a little, uh, little Beretta Bobcat with a little suppressor on it. I left that out.

• 5:00Speaker 03

  It's funny. Yeah.

• 5:01Speaker 06

  You know, it's funny.

• 5:02Speaker 03

I was just a mere little Canadian coming down.

• 5:04Speaker 06

  Exactly.

• 5:05Speaker 03

And I was like, oh, guns.

• 5:06Speaker 06

  Oh, guns there.

• 5:07Speaker 03

  That's crazy.

• 5:07Speaker 06

But then I, uh, you know, I, I kind of felt it out for the first little bit and then I was like, okay, she's cool.

• 5:12Speaker 03

And then he showed me his closet.

• 5:13Speaker 06

And then I showed him my closet, my room. Your pleasure room. My pleasure room, my cedar room.

• 5:18Speaker 03

It's like the room with just guns.

• 5:20Speaker 06

  It's full of guns.

• 5:21The Fat Electrician?

How was that the first time?

• 5:22Speaker 03

It was crazy. I thought it was like, that's where all the guns in America were, maybe. There were so many.

• 5:30Speaker 06

  Is this legal?

• 5:31The Fat Electrician?

That's the first time I talked to you was when you walked into his factory.

• 5:36Speaker 06

  Yeah.

• 5:36The Fat Electrician?

And like, she was just like.

• 5:39Speaker 03

  Yeah.

• 5:40Speaker 06

Yeah. What the fuck is happening? Shower before going back to Canada or I'm gonna get arrested.

• 5:45Speaker 03

Yeah. I need my Kevlar cardigan.

• 5:49Speaker 03

It was, uh, yeah, it's crazy. But now I'm used to it. I'm used to him now.

• 5:52The Fat Electrician?

You been, you moved here how long ago?

• 5:54Speaker 03

  Uh, April.

• 5:55The Fat Electrician?

April. Congrats. Are you American yet or is it?

• 5:58Speaker 03

Uh, I'm in the process of green card. But soon, a few months.

• 6:02Speaker 06

Soon it will be process. She said process. She's kidding. Eli, do you have your green card yet?

• 6:08The Fat Electrician?

I am about to get it.

• 6:09Speaker 06

  Good. Awesome.

• 6:10The Fat Electrician?

I still have to do another tour and then I can get it. Oh, hey, we made, we did the reverse Oreo thing again.

• 6:17The Fat Electrician?

  Anyways.

• 6:19The Fat Electrician?

Yeah, we got, you guys moved down. Yeah, I wanted to talk about, well, how is it now, like, living down here in Texas? You got like, you just got thrown into the mix.

• 6:28Speaker 03

Oh, yeah. No, it's great. It's great. I feel free. I feel freedom.

• 6:32Speaker 06

  Mm-hmm.

• 6:32Speaker 03

Like, just basking in it constantly. No, it's actually crazy. And like, all the tax shit, it's great.

• 6:38Speaker 06

How, how much tax? Sounds pretty great.

• 6:40Speaker 03

  Yeah, it's great.

• 6:41The Fat Electrician?

The X, did you have to do it with the whole?

• 6:43Speaker 03

Uh, I'm still going through that, uh, process. Still going through that process.

• 6:47Speaker 06

  Process.

• 6:48Speaker 05

  The flat O.

• 6:50Speaker 03

I hate it, process. I'm still going through that. I still gotta pay a bunch of money to Canada until I can officially be American. But I'll reap the rewards soon, which will be great.

• 7:00Speaker 04

How mad does that make you?

• 7:02The Fat Electrician?

On your side where you're like, you've already paid taxes on that. Now you have to pay more taxes on the taxes?

• 7:07Speaker 03

  Yeah.

• 7:08Speaker 04

Cause it is forty. It's like an extra.

• 7:10Speaker 05

  Yeah, there's a lot.

• 7:11Speaker 03

  Oh, it's all, it's.

• 7:12Speaker 06

Well, we have an idea. So what I'm trying to get her to do, and her, uh, her tax team's not a big fan of this, is, uh, and I've actually sought this around with a couple of local, local money guys, a couple of moguls. We're gonna get her to go back to Canada and we're going to get her to liquidate all our assets. She just sold a house up there. Liquidate all the assets, take all our liquid money, buy gold and then put it on, wear it and then cross the border.

• 7:40Speaker 03

  And then never go back.

• 7:41Speaker 06

And then do that a lot, though.

• 7:43Speaker 05

You're gonna have to do a lot of squats and farmers carry to prep for that.

• 7:47Speaker 06

Gold, you know, gold, things like gold. Yeah. I figured it might work.

• 7:53The Fat Electrician?

  You're just walking.

• 7:54Speaker 06

I figured it might work. I figured.

• 7:57Speaker 03

  I think.

• 7:57Speaker 05

You're like the wife of some white collar criminal that like goes to the airport with eighteen watches on the outside.

• 8:04Speaker 03

  What's the time?

• 8:04The Fat Electrician?

  Yeah.

• 8:05Speaker 01

Only, only it's Caleb. Caleb's the wife.

• 8:10The Fat Electrician?

He has gold duct tape to his chest like a.

• 8:12Speaker 05

How does it feel to be a trophy husband?

• 8:14Speaker 06

This is how we do it in Virginia.

• 8:21The Fat Electrician?

  Trophy husband.

• 8:22Speaker 04

Walks across the border covered in gold. I need to claim asylum.

• 8:29Speaker 05

Don't tell anyone, but Justin Trudeau kind of wants my shit.

• 8:33Speaker 06

  Governor Trudeau.

• 8:35Speaker 05

  Governor Trudeau.

• 8:36Speaker 03

Yeah, Governor Trudeau. Yeah, it's a bitch. It's a bitch of a transition, but.

• 8:41Speaker 04

Hey, but now you're down here, living the dream.

• 8:43Speaker 03

  Yep.

• 8:43Speaker 04

  Fucking loving it.

• 8:44Speaker 03

Truly. Everything's so much cheaper down here, too. Like just food and everything. It's crazy.

• 8:49Speaker 04

  Housing's great.

• 8:50Speaker 03

  Housing, just all around. Yep.

• 8:54Speaker 04

  That's crazy.

• 8:55Speaker 03

  Yep, it's great.

• 8:55Speaker 04

Going on to you. You had a crazy month. You've had like the video game launch, the, your candy's still crushing it, but then the Mr. Beast interview.

• 9:09Speaker 05

My brain is broken because like I heard you say candy crushing it and I'm like a mogus. Candy crush and like I need to be put down.

• 9:17Speaker 01

That sentence was candy crush Mr. Beast completely unreadable.

• 9:23Speaker 05

That sentence would kill a Victorian child.

• 9:30Speaker 04

How was that like you're like how much prep did you go into?

• 9:34Speaker 06

Uh, I'm not a big prep guy to be honest.

• 9:37Speaker 04

  Same.

• 9:37Speaker 06

I like winging it or like whatever I can fit in sort of like a day is what I'll do and then I try not to think about the next step. Cause if I do, I just get super stressed out even more so. And yeah, it was just a lot, pretty much.

• 9:52Speaker 03

  So short notice.

• 9:53Speaker 06

It was also, everything was so short notice.

• 9:55Speaker 03

  Same day.

• 9:55Speaker 06

Even if I wanted to prep, there was like not a lot of, well, the game was like a lot of prep. That was, I've been working on that for like a year basically. And then, uh, the candy stuff obviously takes up a lot of time. But the Beast interview was like last minute.

• 10:10Speaker 03

  Hours.

• 10:11Speaker 05

Did he reach out to you or did you reach out to him?

• 10:13Speaker 06

Yes, initially he reached out to me.

• 10:14Speaker 05

  Okay.

• 10:15Speaker 06

  Yes.

• 10:16Speaker 04

And then you knew when he was flying in essentially?

• 10:18Speaker 06

Yeah. So the morning of, he told me, uh, he told me that he might come in the day, that evening. And then called me as he was boarding a flight, like a couple of hours later. So I didn't know if he was going to come that day or not.

• 10:31Speaker 05

  That's power.

• 10:32Speaker 06

And then wait till you hear this, we live in central Texas.

• 10:35Speaker 03

  Yeah.

• 10:36Speaker 06

The nearest airport's two hours away. He lands and I'm like, we got two hours. He shows up in 15 minutes.

• 10:41Speaker 03

So he landed at like a local.

• 10:42Speaker 06

He flew to a fucking private, like a small airport.

• 10:44Speaker 03

Cause he has a private jet.

• 10:46Speaker 06

  Yeah.

• 10:46Speaker 04

  What?

• 10:46Speaker 06

  Allegedly.

• 10:48Speaker 05

There's a joke I heard, uh, have you heard the name of his jet? Internally, I'm, I'm pretty sure I can make this joke, pretty sure. Uh, they've got bigger things to worry about.

• 10:58Speaker 05

They used to call it, uh, Mr. Beast and 10 others. Because if it ever went down, that's the only thing anybody would know. Mr. Beast and 10 others.

• 11:08Speaker 01

Yeah, no name other than that was going on.

• 11:13Speaker 01

  Oh.

• 11:17Speaker 01

So sad, but it's hilarious. Yeah.

• 11:20Speaker 06

That is funny. That is the way the world works.

• 11:21Speaker 03

  It is.

• 11:23Speaker 06

  That's real.

• 11:24Speaker 03

That's what I said. I was like, that's too real, honestly.

• 11:28Speaker 05

The podcast tour where I was like, oh yeah, this, let me see who's it? Yeah. Donut operator and 92 others.

• 11:37The Fat Electrician?

Speaking of how the world works, at the bar last night, you told me a story of buying your house and how you got it in a way the world's not supposed to work.

• 11:46Speaker 06

Yeah, I uh, basically, basically, legal theft, basically unfair. I still feel indebted.

• 11:55Speaker 06

So I have a really awesome house and I shouldn't have a really awesome house. And the way that I got a really awesome houses was that I was gonna buy a normal house well within my means. Uh, and I put an offer in on this insane house because I knew the guy was going through a situation, a divorce, if you will. Um, and I was like, this could, you know, this could be potentially interesting. This is like, and I had no idea who the guy was, whatever. Um, and I'm looking at other houses. I go and see that house. It's crazy. I'm like, all right, I'll put a offer in, but with the caveat, I told my realtor that, you know, I don't mean this is disrespect, but this is why I'm comfortable paying for this place. I know it's worth substantially more. I

• 12:35Speaker 06

know that it's a steal. Uh, and like, you know, I don't really care if it's, if it's, if it's a no, I totally understand. Or like, if there's a renegotiation or whatever.

• 12:44Speaker 05

This is what I can pay.

• 12:45Speaker 06

Yeah, exactly. Yeah. And like, it's not out of disrespect, just to be clear. Um, and we accepted the offer and the reason was to, so his wife got less money in the divorce.

• 13:01Speaker 06

  I got so lucky.

• 13:04The Fat Electrician?

What was like the proportion of like, if he was asking a hundred percent, what percentage did you offer?

• 13:10Speaker 06

Um, I would say probably, if you're talking about build price, maybe 18%. If you're talking about, if you're talking about realistic market value in the area, all things considered, at the time, 47%.

• 13:25Speaker 05

  Oh, okay.

• 13:27Speaker 06

  Yeah.

• 13:27Speaker 05

  He's hated.

• 13:28Speaker 03

But still, oh, this house is huge. It's like ridiculous.

• 13:32Speaker 06

  It's insane, yeah.

• 13:33Speaker 03

Like, if you heard the price, you'd be like, what?

• 13:35Speaker 06

  Yeah, it's crazy. It's like a steal.

• 13:37Speaker 05

That's the kind of guy that's like, I can always build more shit.

• 13:40Speaker 03

  Oh, oh, yeah.

• 13:41Speaker 06

  Fuck her. Absolutely.

• 13:42Speaker 03

  He's like a very well-armed.

• 13:43Speaker 01

I can buy another house. I can never fuck my ex-wife.

• 13:47Speaker 06

  And he's also, he's also, he's also a genius.

• 13:51Speaker 03

  Yeah.

• 13:52Speaker 06

He's also a genius, uh, and just so cool. And I've been kept in contact with him. Like, I was worried that it, you know, would be seen as like this massive thing of disrespect.

• 14:00Speaker 03

  Yeah.

• 14:00Speaker 06

But in reality, it was just like, I don't fucking care. It's just a house. Just say no, I'll be fine.

• 14:05Speaker 05

Do you got any more wives you wanna break off with?

• 14:09Speaker 06

Yeah, he's really cool, though. He's, he's a very good dude. I'm still in contact with him. He's

• 14:13Speaker 05

  That's awesome.

• 14:13Speaker 06

  Interesting.

• 14:14Speaker 01

  I'd say you are.

• 14:15Speaker 06

  Yeah, he's an interesting fella.

• 14:16Speaker 01

See if he has any more divorces.

• 14:18Speaker 06

  I know, I'm waiting.

• 14:19Speaker 05

It's gonna be a search function on Zelle.

• 14:21The Fat Electrician?

Is he Mormon by chance? That'd be really convenient.

• 14:26Speaker 05

  Just like one dating property.

• 14:29Speaker 06

Just getting that email. It's like, yeah, we'll take the offer. You're like,

• 14:33The Fat Electrician?

Well, yeah, what was that like when your realtor messaged you or called you? I was like, he accepted.

• 14:39Speaker 06

I was pretty surprised, to be honest. And then I was like, what's the property tax is gonna be? Cause it's like a big house.

• 14:46Speaker 05

  Yeah.

• 14:46Speaker 06

Uh, but it's still so reasonable. I mean, it doesn't make sense to sell it or get rid of it.

• 14:51Speaker 01

He, he took me to see the house the first time and I remember being like, this is stupid. Cause he told me how much you paid for it. I'm like, I hate you.

• 15:00Speaker 03

We don't even live there now.

• 15:02Speaker 01

Yeah, yeah, that's the part that made me mad.

• 15:03Speaker 03

We live in a different house. It's just kind of sitting there. Now we're trying to figure out what to do.

• 15:06Speaker 05

  But what about second house?

• 15:08Speaker 03

  Yeah.

• 15:08Speaker 06

  Second house?

• 15:11Speaker 06

Yeah, that, that was another thing is, uh, I'm really, I only offered it because I had like, uh, like people living with me at the time. So it only makes, it only makes sense with like, if you have five people.

• 15:20Speaker 03

  Yeah.

• 15:20Speaker 06

That wanna live in one spot. Cause it's laid out like a compound. It's like a gigantic compound. It's shaped like a dick, too.

• 15:28Speaker 03

  It is.

• 15:28Speaker 05

  That's convenient.

• 15:29Speaker 03

  From Ariel.

• 15:29Speaker 06

It's actually shaped like a penis.

• 15:30Speaker 03

  It is.

• 15:31Speaker 01

Did you tell them about the mural?

• 15:33Speaker 06

Oh, yeah. Uh, there's a, um, actually, I feel like I should probably show you guys that.

• 15:37Speaker 03

  Yeah, probably.

• 15:37Speaker 01

  Yes.

• 15:38Speaker 06

See if I can find it really quickly. I posted it on Facebook.

• 15:40Speaker 01

I love putting Chris in like podcast interviews. Be like, well, tell them about the penis wall.

• 15:45Speaker 03

  Yeah, I don't care.

• 15:47Speaker 05

  There's a legit mural.

• 15:48Speaker 03

  I lived in it.

• 15:48Speaker 06

  Oh, it's a penis wall.

• 15:49Speaker 03

Yeah, I had to go in that house for the first time I ever met him and, and he's like, this is my penis mural. And I was like,

• 15:55Speaker 04

Good thing you hit all the guns.

• 15:56Speaker 03

I can either walk through this.

• 15:59Speaker 01

  How are these guns up?

• 16:00Speaker 05

  The guns might be offensive.

• 16:01Speaker 01

Also, stare at my dick wall.

• 16:03Speaker 04

Take mine from the penis mural.

• 16:05Speaker 06

  My, uh, so.

• 16:06Speaker 04

  Just got to complete.

• 16:07Speaker 06

For context of this merch, for context of this picture, I thought it'd be funny to post a picture of me with like some kind of material thing and flex and just be like, "I'm so blessed." You know, like that type of photo, so.

• 16:20Speaker 03

So he's wearing my, my merch.

• 16:22Speaker 06

I'm wearing her merch. Sitting, feeling and looking blessed.

• 16:26Speaker 04

  Wait, those are actual.

• 16:27Speaker 06

Those are dinges. Those are dripping dicks.

• 16:29Speaker 05

  That is.

• 16:29Speaker 06

  That's a Baroque.

• 16:30Speaker 05

Is it weird to say that that's tasteful?

• 16:32Speaker 03

  It is.

• 16:32Speaker 05

  It is tasteful.

• 16:33Speaker 06

  What I was thinking, like.

• 16:34Speaker 05

  It is tasteful.

• 16:34Speaker 03

I'm an artist, I paint, so I actually was like, "This is really well done."

• 16:38Speaker 05

  Yeah, it's very well done.

• 16:39Speaker 03

  I appreciate it.

• 16:39Speaker 05

As far as dick walls go.

• 16:40Speaker 03

  Yeah.

• 16:41Speaker 05

  As far as dick walls.

• 16:42Speaker 04

  Describe it.

• 16:44Speaker 04

There's a white and a black dick with balls. And wings. And wings.

• 16:48Speaker 05

  Yeah.

• 16:48Speaker 04

And like, yeah. And dripping. I don't.

• 16:51Speaker 05

But it, as part of a landscape.

• 16:53Speaker 04

I just like, they look sad.

• 16:54Speaker 03

  Yeah.

• 16:55Speaker 05

The best way to put this, I think, is if I saw that on the wall of an Asian restaurant, I would never take a sex photo.

• 17:00Speaker 06

Yeah, with a fish tank of koi.

• 17:02Speaker 03

  Right?

• 17:02Speaker 06

  Normal.

• 17:03Speaker 03

  Yeah, that's the thing, right?

• 17:04Speaker 06

  Yeah, fits right in.

• 17:05Speaker 03

You sure? Or just you have to send it to him?

• 17:07Speaker 06

Yeah, you can, uh, you guys can all add me as a friend on Facebook. That's where that photo lives.

• 17:14Speaker 06

I'll, I can send it to you.

• 17:16Speaker 05

Cut the cock outs, cuts the cock outs.

• 17:17Speaker 01

  Pixel it them.

• 17:18Speaker 03

  Yeah.

• 17:19Speaker 06

  Yeah. And I'm just like.

• 17:20Speaker 03

  Yeah.

• 17:21Speaker 04

How do you explain when you put your guns up and they're like, "Ah."

• 17:24Speaker 03

  I don't even remember.

• 17:25Speaker 04

  My penis wall.

• 17:26Speaker 06

Honestly, I just, I just, I'm just like, "Check this out."

• 17:29Speaker 03

And then he just explained the lore and I was like.

• 17:31Speaker 06

  Then it worked.

• 17:32Speaker 03

  Faced.

• 17:32Speaker 01

Have you explained on the podcast, you two like met?

• 17:36Speaker 03

  Yeah, I think so.

• 17:37Speaker 01

  Did you?

• 17:37Speaker 03

  I think the last one.

• 17:38Speaker 01

  Okay.

• 17:38Speaker 03

  Last one, huh?

• 17:39Speaker 06

  Do farmers only?

• 17:40Speaker 01

  Yeah.

• 17:41Speaker 03

  Yeah.

• 17:42Speaker 06

  Christian mingle.

• 17:43Speaker 03

  Yeah.

• 17:43Speaker 06

  That's funny.

• 17:45Speaker 03

  Yeah.

• 17:46Speaker 06

  Yeah.

• 17:46Speaker 05

  Craigslist classifieds.

• 17:48Speaker 06

  Yeah, that's more accurate.

• 17:51Speaker 01

It was a mail order website.

• 17:53Speaker 03

  Yep.

• 17:54Speaker 01

Us aiming for Asia, but Canada, close enough.

• 17:55Speaker 05

  Canadian refugees.

• 17:57Speaker 03

  Exactly.

• 18:00Speaker 03

  Don't talk about them.

• 18:01Speaker 04

  There's no Mexicans.

• 18:02Speaker 05

And there's no Mexicans on a sale money on taxes.

• 18:05Speaker 01

That's, that's what I was going through, and she was like in front of the mural like, "Tax money, tax money."

• 18:09Speaker 03

Yeah. Look past it. Past the puses.

• 18:14Speaker 06

Yeah, it was interesting though. We, I messaged her. She followed me and I immediately was like,

• 18:20Speaker 03

  Like five minutes later.

• 18:22Speaker 06

Like the moment. I'm not one for, a lot of people, they, they like to, they play this game of like, You gotta let it sit. You gotta let it sit, or whatever. I don't do that at all.

• 18:31Speaker 03

  It was so refreshing.

• 18:32Speaker 06

  I don't really care.

• 18:33Speaker 03

  Yeah.

• 18:34Speaker 01

They showed me the DMs. It's so funny because she's like, he's like, hi. And she's like, oh, I like your stuff. And he's like, fly down.

• 18:45Speaker 04

  So my name is Chris.

• 18:47Speaker 01

Yeah, there may be like two messages in between.

• 18:50Speaker 06

  Maybe three.

• 18:52Speaker 01

  And a pink thing.

• 18:55Speaker 04

Fly down, jerk me. Ah, what is going on right now?

• 18:59Speaker 06

One with the sock, one without. For reference.

• 19:03Speaker 01

It was like buying a horse. Let me check the teeth.

• 19:08Speaker 03

  Exactly.

• 19:09Speaker 05

Left foot? Oh, do you need a place to live?

• 19:12Speaker 06

  Exactly, yeah.

• 19:15Speaker 05

I know, I have a really good tax guy. Let's get this gold idea.

• 19:20Speaker 03

And I said, tell me more. Tell me more, mustache man.

• 19:24Speaker 01

  It's just a long con.

• 19:27Speaker 03

It was really short. It was really short and I moved on with it like in no time. Like for real. And that's not like me at all.

• 19:35The Fat Electrician?

You have to pay for your own healthcare now. You have to pay for your own healthcare now.

• 19:40Speaker 03

Dude, it's not even a thing up there. It's all, it's a con.

• 19:45The Fat Electrician?

I've never actually got to talk to somebody like, I've just heard opinions from people that are anonymous on the internet. Like, is it shitty?

• 19:53Speaker 03

If I need an MRI, I gotta wait like 10 months to get it.

• 19:56Speaker 05

  Have you considered?

• 19:57Speaker 03

  Yeah. Heavily.

• 19:59Speaker 06

  It's legal.

• 20:02Speaker 05

The sincerity in your eyes was alarming.

• 20:05Speaker 03

I had a lot of flashbacks. It was like a rolodex, like.

• 20:09Speaker 04

Give her one of your Purple Hearts. One of your.

• 20:13Speaker 03

Okay, I'll just have this purple white glove instead.

• 20:18Speaker 04

Ten months is the VA. That is.

• 20:20Speaker 03

Yeah, it's just crazy. Oh, that other one was funded by the government? Weird. Yeah. Yeah. If you want to go into the ER, like I broke, I'd broken like 13 bones, but every time I did, I would have to wait almost a day or even like to the next day to see a doctor, to see a doctor. Cause there's people going in there for the like a cold. Cause you can't, cause it doesn't cost money. So it's like, it's flawed in a lot of ways. And if you get other, if you do anything private, you still have to pay for it. So.

• 20:48Speaker 04

How do you break 13 bones?

• 20:50Speaker 03

  I was reckless, reckless.

• 20:52Speaker 06

  She's, she was very reckless.

• 20:53Speaker 03

  Child.

• 20:54Speaker 06

  Extremely reckless.

• 20:54Speaker 03

I was like surf on top of golf carts and like.

• 20:57Speaker 06

  Dumb.

• 20:57Speaker 03

Go really fast down hills on skateboards and stuff.

• 21:00Speaker 06

If we ever have a child, it will be need to, it will need a pad.

• 21:06Speaker 06

It literally will need a pad.

• 21:07Speaker 03

Well, it will. Yeah. I just won't tell them about those stories until they're older.

• 21:12Speaker 06

  The child?

• 21:13Speaker 03

  Yeah.

• 21:13Speaker 06

  Well, it's like genetic.

• 21:15Speaker 03

  Oh.

• 21:15Speaker 06

Yeah. It's like the, the, uh, the rabbits and the hawk.

• 21:18Speaker 03

Yeah, but I'll be there with, with him or her to help them not make the same mistakes I did.

• 21:23Speaker 04

  It's nature.

• 21:25Speaker 05

  Too much assumed knowledge.

• 21:27Speaker 06

  I told her about it.

• 21:28Speaker 04

It's nature versus nature. Is more dominant than nurture.

• 21:33Speaker 01

I like his explanation. I told her.

• 21:35Speaker 06

  Yeah, she knows.

• 21:36Speaker 01

  You don't need to know.

• 21:37Speaker 06

We're not going on a podcast.

• 21:39Speaker 04

I feel like it was like the hawk.

• 21:41Speaker 06

There's like a study, there's like a, there's a study about, uh, rabbits and, and hawks. They, they were, I forget how it goes from top to bottom, but at some point, the rabbits were not afraid of hawks. Then a hawk killed one. And then from then on, the generations that never even were exposed to a hawk, say 18 generations went by, they showed a hawk fly over and they had the same reaction.

• 22:02Speaker 05

  So it's like epigenetics.

• 22:03Speaker 03

  Yeah.

• 22:04Speaker 05

  And learn behavior through DNA.

• 22:05Speaker 06

Yeah, that was a gross paraphrasing. I'm sure it's different, but that's the general idea.

• 22:10Speaker 03

  Yeah.

• 22:11Speaker 01

So you two trying to harm yourself as children, you think that takes 18 generations to breed out?

• 22:17Speaker 06

I think it's, uh, I think it's irrelevant. That's how long it takes. The child's gonna hurt himself. All right. Yeah.

• 22:23Speaker 05

18 rabbit generations might be different, you know?

• 22:25Speaker 06

  It's true.

• 22:26Speaker 03

  Yeah.

• 22:26Speaker 01

I think he's saying that their kids will be fine in the year 2587.

• 22:32Speaker 03

Solid gene. I'm fine. I'm fine. Look at me. I'm fine. Only three concussions, thirteen broken bones, many sprains and tears.

• 22:42The Fat Electrician?

You're getting less. It was fourteen a minute ago.

• 22:45Speaker 03

Correct. It was thirteen. It was thirteen.

• 22:48Speaker 05

She's healing. She's healed some. Some hairline still. It's the Canadian healthcare system. Fifteen broken bones. How can you handle fourteen broken bones? We'll need to schedule out for those thirteen broken bones.

• 23:02Speaker 03

  I've been brainwashed.

• 23:05Speaker 03

  But yeah, we'll be fine.

• 23:06Speaker 05

Canada's awesome though. You do love Canada.

• 23:07Speaker 03

  I, no, I love it. There's a lot of, it's beautiful.

• 23:10Speaker 05

  Yeah.

• 23:11Speaker 03

British Columbia is like the most beautiful place in the world. I've been to a lot of places and it's, but Texas has its charm. Like it has like, like the sunsets and.

• 23:19Speaker 05

I mean, I'm excited to go to Canada. She's, she's spoken very highly of it. Obviously. Have you never been? I've never been. I don't have a passport.

• 23:25Speaker 03

He doesn't, yeah, he has a passport.

• 23:27Speaker 05

I just had to get one.

• 23:28Speaker 03

Yeah, that's such a crazy concept for a Canadian because we go, we always go to the States, but go around to the world. But so many Americans, especially in the South, they don't have passports.

• 23:40Speaker 05

  Passports.

• 23:40Speaker 03

  And that's really weird.

• 23:42Speaker 05

  They don't.

• 23:44Speaker 03

No, I get it. Like I understand because I came across to, to come to the States all the time because there's a lot to do here. Whereas in Canada, you got that like bottom third that's livable.

• 23:54The Fat Electrician?

  It's like sixty miles.

• 23:55Speaker 03

And you can't go up only for like, like a camping or, or hunting or something and then.

• 23:59Speaker 05

When, when we went to Buffalo, uh, in like New York, we were like five miles from the Canadian border.

• 24:04Speaker 03

  Yeah.

• 24:04Speaker 05

That's where Uncle Dijon literally walked across to come to our show. He walked across the bridge.

• 24:08Speaker 03

  Oh, no way.

• 24:09Speaker 05

In like seven degree weather as well as snowing.

• 24:11Speaker 03

  That's really funny.

• 24:12Speaker 05

My thought was like, this is right up on Canada at the warmest part of Canada.

• 24:18Speaker 03

  Yes, yes.

• 24:20Speaker 05

How the fuck do you guys live there?

• 24:21Speaker 03

Yeah, it's really cold. Like it'll be so nice not to shovel snow for months. Like it's beautiful to look at. I love snow. But it, we have, you know, wake up really early in the morning to get out, to still go to school because we don't get snowed out of school unless it's like insane. So, yeah, I like four seasons, but it's been sweet living down here. I like, and honestly. Like, I get like depression, like, like seasonal depression.

• 24:47Speaker 06

The sun absolutely contributes to better mental health.

• 24:51Speaker 03

Already suffered, suffered with depression, but my god, like, does it help to be in the sun? Like, it's crazy.

• 24:57Speaker 04

There's a statistic, like, Washington has the highest

• 25:00Speaker 03

  Yes.

• 25:00Speaker 04

  rate because of

• 25:01Speaker 03

  Absolutely.

• 25:02Speaker 04

  Two hundred and eighty days.

• 25:03Speaker 06

And even just having your windows open.

• 25:05Speaker 03

  Yeah.

• 25:06Speaker 06

Just having your windows open and the sun being there, it's like, it just so, it's so much better. Even from Virginia, it's just the sun, the sky is so much, it's just so much larger. You're just exposed to light.

• 25:16Speaker 03

  Yeah.

• 25:17Speaker 06

  More.

• 25:17The Fat Electrician?

How come all the brighter places don't have bad taxes?

• 25:22Speaker 06

People are happier, so they don't, they don't feel the need to impose their evil will.

• 25:25The Fat Electrician?

  Steal from everybody else?

• 25:27Speaker 06

  On their representative.

• 25:28Speaker 04

  Need more vitamin D?

• 25:30Speaker 06

  Everyone's a fuck alone.

• 25:33Speaker 04

  Oh, cured everything, son.

• 25:36Speaker 03

  Yeah, it's crazy.

• 25:37Speaker 04

So when you did your, um, go back to Mr. Beast, you did Mr. Beast, you had two hours to prep apparently.

• 25:43Speaker 06

Um, so, yeah, I mean, so, so he, he came, I forget exactly what time it was, I haven't thought about it a lot.

• 25:50Speaker 03

It was, it was your game launch day.

• 25:51Speaker 06

It was the game launch day.

• 25:52Speaker 04

No, it was the worst day ever.

• 25:55Speaker 06

Game announcement day, demo launch day.

• 25:57Speaker 01

I had left his house less than twenty-four hours.

• 26:00Speaker 06

Yeah, we were filming for a week before that as well.

• 26:02Speaker 01

So we spent, we spent like five days, I think, hanging out, filming, stuff like that.

• 26:05Speaker 03

  Behind on work, so.

• 26:07Speaker 01

I leave, he's like, I launched the game, and then he's got a few hours, yes.

• 26:11Speaker 03

  So it was like, oh.

• 26:12Speaker 06

And I just, I just made the commitment to, like, I had a list of questions and stuff, and I was just like, alright.

• 26:18Speaker 06

What am I gonna do, say no? Of course not.

• 26:20Speaker 04

  Yeah.

• 26:21Speaker 03

  Yeah.

• 26:21Speaker 06

I need more time, Mr. Beast.

• 26:23Speaker 03

  Yeah.

• 26:24The Fat Electrician?

We're doing this thing, just fucking loaded up, oh, he's here already, okay.

• 26:27Speaker 06

And that included setting up the cameras and everything, like, we had to, like, set everything up.

• 26:31Speaker 03

  Yeah.

• 26:31Speaker 06

  Yeah.

• 26:32Speaker 03

And he got there at like nine PM, I think?

• 26:34Speaker 06

Somewhere in there, eight thirty or nine, something like that.

• 26:37Speaker 03

And then they filmed till like eleven?

• 26:40Speaker 06

  Something like that.

• 26:41Speaker 03

And then we, yeah, I don't know, and he was over till like, like, two or three in the morning, and then he, then he

• 26:46Speaker 06

Fucking flew away. Into the cover of darkness.

• 26:48Speaker 03

Flew away, his smoke bomb disappeared.

• 26:51Speaker 06

Yeah, it was crazy, he had a driver, and the driver was like nine feet tall and bald.

• 26:55Speaker 00

• 27:30Speaker 05

Is Mr. Beast just got picked up by the judge?

• 27:36Speaker 04

  That's fucking.

• 27:37Speaker 03

  It was crazy though.

• 27:38Speaker 05

  Oh, no. Chris Tyson.

• 27:42Speaker 05

  Can't say that.

• 27:48Speaker 04

It's like a father son joke.

• 27:51Speaker 01

We had made the connection at the same point in time.

• 27:53Speaker 05

Yeah. Oh, no. It's a character from Blood Meridian.

• 27:56Speaker 04

  Yeah. Yeah. Oh, I know.

• 27:57Speaker 05

  Oh, yeah.

• 27:58Speaker 04

  I know the judge.

• 27:58Speaker 05

Eli knows. He's just being nice.

• 28:02Speaker 04

  Great villain.

• 28:04Speaker 01

Yeah. Yeah. Mr. Beast walked out of the house, took off his shirt and his bat wings came out.

• 28:10Speaker 05

  Great villain.

• 28:13Speaker 01

  The judge.

• 28:19Speaker 04

Really keep this on the rails.

• 28:21Speaker 05

Yeah, like Mr. Beast, actually, I, I don't, so I've never had a bad interaction with Jimmy. Like he's, he seemed like.

• 28:27Speaker 04

You've done multiple things with him.

• 28:28Speaker 05

I, I've actually, I, I've mentioned it a few times on the podcast. I don't know if you knew this, but like I did a bunch of stuff with him, like starting back in like 2019. And then, um, like the canon videos and stuff like that. And a little couple of behind the scenes stuff, like some made it to YouTube, some didn't. But I've always had a good relationship with his team and they've always been really good to me. And like, I've never had an issue with them. But I feel like Jimmy's priorities, he's very much buried into how do I make this the best thing it can be? How do I make the best product? How do I grow the best? And then I feel like all the PR stuff that happens and all the people that shit up left and right are just like an annoyance to him. It's like, damn it, why are you, why are you with my vision of?

• 29:09Speaker 03

  Yeah, that's exactly.

• 29:10Speaker 06

Yeah, his, his pillars of the things like the, just a quick read would be that I got from doing the interview would be his pillars of like what he cares for and understands and like genuinely prioritizes. And would even consider there being something wrong or whatever are going to be things that are within his control 100%.

• 29:27Speaker 05

  Yeah.

• 29:27Speaker 06

Data, YouTube, thumbnail. That's what he cares about.

• 29:30Speaker 05

  Like obsessively.

• 29:31Speaker 06

Obsessively, like his, all of his pillars, like up into even to his morals potentially. You know, all of that stuff is just, just cordoned off into one, just YouTube hyper focused thing.

• 29:43Speaker 03

Which he's really good at. And he's just a guy.

• 29:46Speaker 06

  Clearly.

• 29:46Speaker 03

I think people forget, he's just a guy.

• 29:48Speaker 06

He literally is just a guy.

• 29:49Speaker 04

A younger, a younger guy that is running, not a small team. You are known more than A-list celebrities at that point. And then you have all, everyone wants YouTube fail, no matter where you, bigger you are, that's what they want. So.

• 30:01Speaker 03

  Yeah.

• 30:01Speaker 04

It's like us, we'll have like our coworkers or employees, but then it starts branching out, especially at that size.

• 30:07Speaker 03

Yeah, you lose control over stuff, which he, I mean, took, took the blame for a lot of the stuff, you know, it is under his, under his company, so fair enough, but.

• 30:17Speaker 06

Yeah, and I think, I mean, at the end of the day, like, of course, if you're, I kept saying that he was the guy. So it's like, if any, you should just expect that, like, if you are naive enough to believe that you are not going to be criticized massively for everything you do it. And when you're at that level.

• 30:30Speaker 04

  Yeah.

• 30:30Speaker 06

  Then you deserve more criticism.

• 30:32Speaker 03

  Mm-hmm.

• 30:32Speaker 06

Um, you're gonna have to get used to PR. Like you, you are the guy with everything to gain, everything to lose. So like you deserve to be criticized maximally. You have to be transparent with everything.

• 30:42Speaker 04

The second you do, you're like, I cured a thousand blind people and the internet's like, fuck you, dog. You're like, okay, okay, this is a new.

• 30:49Speaker 03

  Yeah.

• 30:50Speaker 04

I'm, I cry because I tried to help people or X, Y, and Z. And they're like, oh, people just hate and hate a lot of the times.

• 30:56Speaker 03

And that's like, we're not meant to handle that either as people. And he, I don't think he was, he was used to it either, because he has just, just gotten praise, praise, praise, praise, praise. And then he got to this point where people were like, and it came kind of during the philanthropy stuff. Um, which is interesting, like all the hate and stuff.

• 31:13Speaker 06

Yeah, well, I mean, a lot of it started before that as well, but the but the philanthropy, like he said in the in the video that if he did, he was convinced if he didn't do as much of his, if he didn't, if he did less philanthropy, he would get less hate. Um, which is very ironic.

• 31:27Speaker 05

You said he he was convinced that if he did less philanthropy?

• 31:33Speaker 06

Like people are, you know, because he's because he's pedestal himself, he's making himself the moral arbiter, whether or not he wants to be that guy. Um, and yeah, I mean, like to me, it makes sense, like the amount of, if I was him, I would expect even more criticism. Um, and hopefully, critical thought wins in the end, but

• 31:51Speaker 06

it's not, it might, you know, you know, if he really, if he, the the critical thought, yeah, it's like the amount of people that are mad are very small amount of people.

• 32:00Speaker 03

  Comparatively, yeah.

• 32:00Speaker 06

  Yeah, so.

• 32:01Speaker 05

It's it's always a vocal minority of people that want to tear people down.

• 32:05Speaker 06

Yeah, but even then, there is, I would say that that the people who want to tear people down, there's always almost some level of truth to it. And it's like, that's how you grow is by acknowledging the level of truth, even if it's difficult to see, because like your instinct is to no, what not want to be, I'm fine.

• 32:23Speaker 05

Out of curiosity, because this is leading somewhere, do you guys read any of your comments? Like, do you read?

• 32:27Speaker 06

  I do.

• 32:28Speaker 03

  A lot.

• 32:29Speaker 05

  I I always know.

• 32:31Speaker 01

I was just gonna say, I can't remember the last comment I read, I don't think.

• 32:34Speaker 06

  Really? Okay.

• 32:35Speaker 01

  I don't think so.

• 32:36Speaker 05

I I find that there's two different philosophies where people like either read all their comments or they fucking read none of it. I've always, even though I've known that it's like bad for mental health for a lot of reasons, like I read, I try to read a lot because I try to figure out, even if I think you're wrong and I don't agree with your take, I want to know what that perception is.

• 32:53Speaker 06

  Yeah.

• 32:53Speaker 05

So I want to know, like, if you hate me, why?

• 32:55Speaker 03

  Yeah, I think it's invaluable.

• 32:57Speaker 06

Yeah, like that's that's market research right there.

• 32:59Speaker 03

  It is.

• 33:01Speaker 05

  Put it that way.

• 33:01Speaker 06

  That's interesting, yeah.

• 33:02Speaker 01

It's certainly smart to, I think my issue is sometimes I get a bit too in my head about it.

• 33:08Speaker 03

  Yeah.

• 33:08Speaker 01

A bit like all, like every now and then you'll scroll and you'll see one, it's like, I hate you, I hope you die, and it's like, wow, great, critical feedback, thank you.

• 33:14Speaker 03

  Yeah.

• 33:15Speaker 01

  But then like.

• 33:17Speaker 06

I do that. I do that sometimes.

• 33:19Speaker 05

  I do too.

• 33:20Speaker 06

  Yeah, that's funny.

• 33:21Speaker 04

And maybe just get shit on.

• 33:24Speaker 03

He only answers like the people that are like.

• 33:28Speaker 01

It was really funny with Mr. B stuff. Anyone who was like, like mean to you on Twitter, you would reply with a picture of you just as an old man.

• 33:35Speaker 06

  Old, distressed.

• 33:36Speaker 01

  I'm so sorry.

• 33:38Speaker 03

Like an old man would be like.

• 33:41Speaker 03

  I'm sorry.

• 33:41Speaker 05

Your old man bit is so funny.

• 33:43Speaker 03

  It's so funny.

• 33:46Speaker 06

They didn't think it was funny, right? Cause a lot of the criticism of the Mr. B thing.

• 33:51Speaker 04

  They're gonna get it.

• 33:52Speaker 06

A lot of the, so the video has like, I think it's 96% like to dislike ratio. So it's still really good. You know, like this like, and the people who are commenting negatively are most likely hitting the like. You hit the like before you comment, generally speaking. Uh, it's like, cause you're, you're compelled to comment something.

• 34:08Speaker 05

  Yeah.

• 34:08Speaker 06

Um, and like that level of like being compelled to do that, there's a few steps in between. So it was received overall well, but a lot, most of the criticism, I, most of it, genuinely most of it, I feel like was valid. So when people were criticizing me, I was like, well, there's nothing I can even say to this. Like, you're right.

• 34:27Speaker 05

  What was the?

• 34:27Speaker 06

What am I supposed to say?

• 34:28Speaker 05

What was the criticism you think was valid?

• 34:30Speaker 06

Uh, that I didn't, that it was unprepared.

• 34:33Speaker 05

  Okay.

• 34:33Speaker 06

Yeah. I would say that that's perfectly valid, unprepared or underprepared.

• 34:37Speaker 04

  You had two hours weird.

• 34:39Speaker 06

Yeah. I mean, it's, you know, it makes sense as to why, but that is still valid criticism.

• 34:43Speaker 04

It is, and it is, but it is that weird part is you also, it was like, oh, well you didn't like, you weren't hard enough on it during the interview, which is like, you get to choose how you want to interview people. And I think a lot of people forget that. It's like, these are the creators over here. We are providing this to entertain and also because we like to do it. But also everyone's going to have a different style to approach it. And I mean, I would never, we've never been hard on anyone.

• 35:09Speaker 05

  No.

• 35:09Speaker 04

  On someone.

• 35:10Speaker 05

  Even sometimes they deserve it.

• 35:12Speaker 04

  We bully her on some.

• 35:13Speaker 03

  Yeah.

• 35:14Speaker 04

But it's still a jest and everyone has a past.

• 35:16Speaker 05

There's also a thing that people don't understand online when they they comment stuff like that where it's like, all right, if you're, it's very different to leave comments on something. Like, these are my criticisms of that person. It's a different thing to look someone in the fucking eye.

• 35:28Speaker 03

  Yes.

• 35:28Speaker 06

  It's totally different. Completely different.

• 35:30Speaker 05

And then, like, we have a non-confrontational, most people do anyway, like, a little bit of like a non-confrontational vibe where it's like, all right, I I want to press you, but I don't want to start a fucking fight.

• 35:39Speaker 06

Yeah. Yeah, I think I think that's valid. And I think that, um, I mean, that's generally how I approach things. I do wish that I would have asked more questions as well for talking, you know, more more valid criticism. I missed some questions, but I called them the next day because there were some that I missed. But, uh, yeah, I mean, if I could do it again, I it probably wouldn't, if I didn't like have the context that I have now and I had more time to prepare, I can't promise that it would be any better, to be honest. Just because I don't think I would have approached it much differently.

• 36:06Speaker 03

  Yeah.

• 36:07Speaker 06

But knowing now, uh, you know, I have a lot of cards that I could play now for interviews that I've learned, literally from the criticism.

• 36:16Speaker 03

  Mm hmm.

• 36:16Speaker 06

So, yeah, it was no negatives whatsoever. It was awesome. All around positive.

• 36:20Speaker 01

He's he's being way too humble. I'm very proud of him as a friend, just because that was that was like the YouTube event for a long time.

• 36:27Speaker 03

  Absolutely.

• 36:27Speaker 01

And it's like he had the opportunity for it. He had a couple hours and he was like, bring it on.

• 36:31Speaker 03

  Yeah.

• 36:31Speaker 06

  Yeah.

• 36:31Speaker 03

I was more stressed than him, I feel like.

• 36:34Speaker 04

Dude, then the level of stress to be like, hi, you know this giant thing Mr. Beast hasn't talked about ever? Hey,

• 36:42Speaker 04

you got the spotlight, my friend.

• 36:43Speaker 05

Yeah, you're talking about one of the biggest internet events, period, of one of the most famous people on earth. You have less than a Marvel movie to prepare.

• 36:50Speaker 03

  Yeah, no, like, yeah.

• 36:51Speaker 04

Starting now, like, what was weird?

• 36:55Speaker 06

It was weird because I wasn't really nervous for it much. Like, I was excited more than anything, which is odd because I'm like a, I mean, up until pretty much this year, I feel like I've been the most just anxious person.

• 37:05Speaker 03

  Hmm.

• 37:05Speaker 06

Uh, and like I haven't done a lot of things because of it and I've just like, lived my life in a way that I wouldn't consider to be optimum in some senses.

• 37:13Speaker 05

  What do you think changed?

• 37:14Speaker 06

I don't know. It's hard to tell. And she's helped. She's helped, like, absolutely.

• 37:19Speaker 03

  Never mind.

• 37:20Speaker 06

  But, uh,

• 37:20Speaker 05

As you're with the right knuckle in her leg.

• 37:23Speaker 06

  Yeah.

• 37:25Speaker 04

  It's like pocket ginger.

• 37:26Speaker 06

  Yeah.

• 37:26Speaker 04

  I don't, I don't know.

• 37:27Speaker 01

I don't know what did it.

• 37:29Speaker 03

  Yeah.

• 37:29Speaker 06

  Yeah, actually.

• 37:30Speaker 04

  My pocket ginger really.

• 37:32Speaker 06

I might have something to do with it, though.

• 37:35Speaker 05

I seriously thought that was a bit the first time.

• 37:37Speaker 03

No, it's not. People keep thinking that. It's little, he gnaws on ginger.

• 37:43Speaker 06

I do, really. Look, it's fresh, too.

• 37:44Speaker 03

And now I'm totally into it, too. I mean, it helps a lot.

• 37:47Speaker 06

  Sure.

• 37:47Speaker 04

  What with what?

• 37:48Speaker 03

Nausea, like, because we both have bad stomachs, so if you just take a little, a little notch off it.

• 37:54Speaker 04

  A little nip?

• 37:55Speaker 03

  And it wakes you up.

• 37:56Speaker 06

I'll take a little bit of ginger.

• 37:57Speaker 03

  Yeah, we should all, uh.

• 37:58Speaker 06

Little nip of ginger. Little nip of ginger.

• 38:01Speaker 01

I, I will, I will say on that point, uh, for, for the time he had and everything happened, he did a phenomenal job.

• 38:06Speaker 06

  I appreciate that, Isaiah.

• 38:07Speaker 03

No, it was, uh, it was like, being there and watching it, it was, it was so stressful.

• 38:13Speaker 01

She, she was texting us, like, as it was going on.

• 38:16Speaker 03

  I was, yeah.

• 38:17Speaker 01

She was like, help, help, help, help.

• 38:18Speaker 03

But it's hard, too, because I feel like, you know, he knew this, but a lot of people that were gonna tune in and watch that didn't maybe necessarily know Caleb, and he's, he's a joker, like, he jokes in every other sentence, so it I think it was hard for him because he wanted to just be himself and like, joke around, but it was so, so, so it came off, I feel like, because I know him so well, and I think it came off as that he was just.

• 38:43Speaker 01

  Wake you up.

• 38:44Speaker 05

  Oh, God.

• 38:44Speaker 03

  Oh, yeah, take a nibble.

• 38:45Speaker 05

That's like, that's like, uh, mouth smelling salts.

• 38:48Speaker 01

  Yep.

• 38:48Speaker 06

  I had a.

• 38:49Speaker 03

  He was restricted.

• 38:51Speaker 05

  No.

• 38:51Speaker 06

I had one instant regret, because after I was like, oh, fuck, this feels like I was unprepared and I wasn't trying to be funny.

• 38:58Speaker 03

  Yeah.

• 38:59Speaker 06

At least I should have been funny.

• 39:00Speaker 03

  Yeah.

• 39:01Speaker 06

I should at least try to be more funny, because there were so many things where he would say something and I'm like.

• 39:05Speaker 03

I can see your voice. Like, I was looking.

• 39:09Speaker 01

  Say it. This is serious.

• 39:12Speaker 03

I watched him implode from inside. Every time I was like, and there's, oh, no, he can't, he can't joke, because this is supposed to be serious.

• 39:19Speaker 04

  Screams eternally, just.

• 39:21Speaker 03

So like, he has to push back everything that he's ever been.

• 39:25Speaker 01

  He couldn't take the jam.

• 39:26Speaker 03

Oh, he couldn't take the jam? Really?

• 39:27Speaker 01

  Yeah.

• 39:28The Fat Electrician?

  He's out.

• 39:28Speaker 01

  Yeah, take it.

• 39:29Speaker 03

  Oh shit.

• 39:30Speaker 05

It was a little too much, too quick.

• 39:31Speaker 03

  Yeah.

• 39:32Speaker 05

  I started chewing.

• 39:32Speaker 03

  No, it's a lot.

• 39:33Speaker 01

  Yeah, I know, yeah.

• 39:34Speaker 03

  And you gotta take it.

• 39:35Speaker 01

No, no, I'm good. I just ate a bigger one, go ahead. This one is half the size of what he did.

• 39:39The Fat Electrician?

  I...

• 39:40Speaker 01

You're gonna let everyone else on the podcast do it like you. Right here. I've been quietly wondering what he's had in that fanny pack for three days.

• 39:48Speaker 03

  Like, I don't, I don't take it.

• 39:48Speaker 01

That and money, he's got ginger and money.

• 39:50The Fat Electrician?

  I literally did, yeah.

• 39:52Speaker 06

And receipt paper for BPAs and microplastics.

• 39:54The Fat Electrician?

Do I swallow this or just chew on it?

• 39:56Speaker 03

  Yeah, go swallow.

• 39:56Speaker 01

  Chew on it.

• 39:57Speaker 06

  Do you have spicy stuff?

• 39:58Speaker 01

  Chew on it.

• 39:58The Fat Electrician?

  Yeah.

• 39:59Speaker 06

  Then you'll be fine.

• 40:00Speaker 01

  You'll be fine.

• 40:00Speaker 03

  Yeah, I'll be fine.

• 40:01Speaker 01

Chew, chew, I chewed mine all the way up. I do a bite and then lip, bite and then lip.

• 40:05Speaker 03

  Mm-hmm.

• 40:05Speaker 06

I love it. I just chew it up.

• 40:07Speaker 03

Yeah, I'm used to it now.

• 40:08Speaker 06

Yeah, I'm so used to it.

• 40:08Speaker 03

  It wakes me up.

• 40:09Speaker 06

  Makes me salivate.

• 40:10Speaker 03

And then I love to drink spicy Dr. Pepper immediately after.

• 40:13Speaker 01

  It is.

• 40:14Speaker 03

  I'm turning into him.

• 40:16Speaker 01

  It, it has a kick.

• 40:18The Fat Electrician?

Yeah, no. You know what kind of doctor Dr. Pepper is?

• 40:21Speaker 06

This is a good, this is a good match, too.

• 40:22The Fat Electrician?

  He's a physician.

• 40:24Speaker 03

  Really?

• 40:24The Fat Electrician?

  Yeah.

• 40:29Speaker 03

  Alright.

• 40:30Speaker 01

  This is niggas.

• 40:31Speaker 03

  Guess I know that, no?

• 40:33Speaker 06

  Same kind as Dr. Phil.

• 40:37Speaker 06

But yeah, it was, it was cool, though, it was an interesting moment.

• 40:38Speaker 03

  Yeah.

• 40:39Speaker 01

Dude, that's, I mean, that is, I was super proud, I, I think we talked like the day before and you're like, oh, fuck, this is how, or I just did this, I was like,

• 40:47Speaker 03

  I know.

• 40:47Speaker 01

  Congrats, man, that's wild.

• 40:49Speaker 06

  Yeah, it was unexpected, yeah.

• 40:51Speaker 01

Especially after you're launching your video.

• 40:53Speaker 06

Yeah, that was way more important than that. I was, cause I'm also, I'm also very much so just very good at prioritizing things from like a meaning perspective. I'm like, what do I, what I'm spending time on? And how into it I'm getting and like how, how much apathy I'm approaching it with, like whenever I get into a new project or do something, there's always a certain level of just, uh, uh, like armor I go into it up with to prevent myself from being stressed.

• 41:19Speaker 01

  Yep.

• 41:20Speaker 06

So, that could be why I'm less anxious, is I've gotten really good at that over the last year, but with the YouTube stuff, with YouTube stuff, what would you mean?

• 41:28Speaker 01

  She's like, I'm still stressed.

• 41:29Speaker 06

Oh, yeah, you're still stressed, yeah. I mean, I'm still stressed, I'm just not like having a panic attack.

• 41:32Speaker 03

No, I was saying that I haven't helped with your stress, that's what I was saying.

• 41:34Speaker 06

  Oh, no, yeah, you have.

• 41:34Speaker 03

  Not me.

• 41:35Speaker 06

  That's good to see.

• 41:38Speaker 04

  Ginger flavored zen.

• 41:40Speaker 05

  I feel like I chewed a zen. I feel like that's what.

• 41:42Speaker 01

It wakes you up. You're like, there are a few times, not to take it off what you were talking about ginger. Like, there are a few times where I'd be tired, so he's like, try this. And it's like, I've got another three hours in me right now. Let's go.

• 41:53Speaker 05

That's straight up like, I don't, I can't think of a better comparison. That's an oral smelling salt. That's fucking.

• 41:57Speaker 06

  I love it so much.

• 41:59Speaker 04

It's like, dude, thirty-two seventeen. Once they started talking about ginger, loved it.

• 42:06Speaker 05

I wish I could relay to the audience like a four D experience. My god.

• 42:11Speaker 03

Go to your little mall grocery store, get some raw ginger.

• 42:15Speaker 06

Get organic. Get organic. And the smaller the root, the better. The denser the skin, the smaller the root.

• 42:22Speaker 04

  That's what I tell her.

• 42:27Speaker 06

Yeah. But I was really upset. Back to the, what were we talking about?

• 42:30Speaker 03

  Your stress and anxiety.

• 42:31Speaker 01

I'm so sorry. No, it's the Mr. Beast time. You had to prepare the game coming out at the same time.

• 42:36Speaker 06

Oh, yeah. Approaching, like, the game thing is just so meaningful and so cool and so much fun. And then YouTube videos are YouTube videos.

• 42:43Speaker 05

  Yeah.

• 42:43Speaker 06

  You know?

• 42:44Speaker 05

And which is cool because you have an infrastructure. Like, I could just tell from like conversations we've had and also like, you can tell like from creator to creator, like, you have an infrastructure for the YouTube videos to make that an easy, like, kind of like a seamless process.

• 42:57Speaker 06

  Yeah, absolutely.

• 42:58Speaker 05

A video game, that's something that is so, like, you don't have any experience with that. It's so new. Like, that's gotta be scary.

• 43:04Speaker 06

Yeah, and I've also, I've also like, committed to being a part of it. And like, actually, like, I've learned to code again. I already knew how to program, but like, I haven't done it in years. And like, I'm in C sharp, making shit in Unity, which is so cool and so much fun. And like, a lot of, some of the prototypes and stuff that we've put, that we're putting in the game, that we've put in the demo, are things that I've like, made little prototypes of in my own small world in Unity, to like, show to actual tech people with thirty years of experience, or twenty years of experience, or ten years of experience, who can take that and then just improve it.

• 43:37Speaker 04

It's on wishlist Black Pine on Steam and then you guys have, who is the entire team? You have a lot of content creators with it, right? Plus yourself?

• 43:46Speaker 06

Uh, it's just, it's just me. I'm the only content creator and everyone else is just a developer or artist or designer or tech guy. Yeah.

• 43:54Speaker 05

You had a video come up on that today, right?

• 43:56Speaker 01

Oh, yesterday. I played it. Yeah, I played it on stream, uh, just to be like, this is fun. Uh, like,

• 44:02Speaker 04

You gave it a one out of 10, right?

• 44:04Speaker 01

  Yeah, yeah, for sure.

• 44:05Speaker 04

You were just shit on it the entire time?

• 44:07Speaker 01

Very honest. I appreciate it. The truth about Black Pine. The thumbnail's me like,

• 44:12The Fat Electrician?

  That's five hour rant.

• 44:14Speaker 01

  Mr. Beast in the thumbnail?

• 44:20Speaker 06

I should have had him play it.

• 44:21Speaker 01

This is actually Mr. Beast game. You can tell because they interviewed each other. Anyway, yeah.

• 44:26Speaker 05

It's the red threads in, in, well, yeah, no pun intended. Genuinely unintentional.

• 44:31Speaker 01

I, I, I made, yeah, so I made a video playing it at a live stream and then uploaded like a, a highlight reel of it and stuff. But yeah, Caleb is the only content creator with like making Black Pine.

• 44:41Speaker 06

I just, Yeah, there's no other content creators on it. Um, but it's, uh, it's cool though. It's good.

• 44:46Speaker 05

It's like a horror themed game?

• 44:47Speaker 06

Yeah, it's a horror game. Yeah. It's like, uh, like a, it heavily, my favorite games of the last couple of years that I've played the most with my friends have all been, um, like Phasmophobia or Lethal Company or, uh, Battle Rock Galactic or just four player. You go in, you get stuff, you take it out. You go in,

• 45:03Speaker 05

Hell Divers, like part of that?

• 45:04Speaker 06

Exactly. That, that exact same kind of you're in a group with your friends and you're, you're doing things. You're working towards something.

• 45:11Speaker 03

There's like a lot of lore involved as well, which is really cool.

• 45:14Speaker 06

Yeah. The, the main difference is like, uh, we're trying to build, we're trying to build a pretty interesting world along with it as well.

• 45:19Speaker 03

  A lot of storytelling.

• 45:20Speaker 05

That's, that's the cool part. Cause I've, I've found myself get sucked into like, you know, Cyberpunk, Red Dead. Like I love story driven games, but I also enjoy games where you can go in with your boys, like four dudes. Like it's like the magical squad size where you just like you hang out with friends that maybe you don't talk to all the time. You do some cool stuff.

• 45:36Speaker 04

Literally the best time to do it.

• 45:38Speaker 05

That's the only time I talk like Freddy or any of the court. Like it is during video games.

• 45:42Speaker 04

  Darn hell.

• 45:45Speaker 04

Yeah, I forgot about calling him Darnell. I was like, hey. And then he just carries us through everything. I was like, oh, okay. That's, thank you. He just played Red Dead, just finished Red Dead a month ago. I, dude, I took so, I beat it the first time this year. Got Brandon. I was like, just get past the snow part. It sucks.

• 46:02Speaker 01

You guys are already, like, it took you that long to do Red Dead 2?

• 46:05Speaker 05

Well, so I, I played it like four years ago and I hated it. I never got out of the mountains. I was like, this is like horse walking simulator. I don't, I don't understand it. And then like, and then I, I got into it like three or four months ago and got obsessed. Cause I love story driven stuff like that. And it is probably one of the best.

• 46:25Speaker 03

  Yeah.

• 46:25Speaker 05

  Universes like I, I.

• 46:27Speaker 03

  The characters are amazing.

• 46:29Speaker 05

I just did a Red Dead video. I think it's dropping like today.

• 46:30Speaker 06

I love that game so much.

• 46:31Speaker 03

Yeah. I hope they make a show.

• 46:34Speaker 05

You know who said he would be down to play Arthur Morgan? Uh, Jer, I think it was Jeffrey Dean Morgan.

• 46:40Speaker 03

  Oh, yes. Yeah. He's great.

• 46:44Speaker 06

  Yeah.

• 46:44Speaker 03

He'd be so good. I feel like he'd be better as like Dutch.

• 46:47Speaker 06

  Yeah.

• 46:48Speaker 05

  He'd be a perfect Doug.

• 46:50Speaker 03

  I think so.

• 46:51Speaker 06

It sucks. Cause I mean, that would be really awesome. But man, it's like the, the guys who played those, who did the performance capture, who performed those characters, they did such a fucking good job. That it would almost suck to see them not like Roger Clark is who did Arthur Morgan. It would suck to see him not be.

• 47:06Speaker 03

Yeah. He should be Arthur Morgan.

• 47:09Speaker 06

Yeah. It's, yeah, it's like a different, obviously a different beast, but um, yeah. Yeah. And like what you're talking about, the amount of people that I know that dislike the game when it first came out. Because it's just, it's instead of everything happening in, within 40 seconds, you have a new beat, something to get you in the game further.

• 47:24Speaker 04

And a new character that everyone, I didn't realize how pissed people were about that.

• 47:29Speaker 06

They, like, that game was really bold in terms of that, in terms of not really catering to the, the upcoming attention span.

• 47:38Speaker 05

  Yeah.

• 47:38Speaker 06

  And it's legendary.

• 47:40Speaker 05

It's, it's so frustrating too. Cause it's like, I wish I could just like mind meld people like all the thing about the game, but it's, it's a 90 hour western, literally, which it absolutely is.

• 47:50Speaker 01

What a, what a smart idea to make John be a. Background character for the first four acts of the game. So good. Come back as like the reckless kid who now has something to lose because he loves Abigail. And he loves his son that he's decided to take responsibility for. And Arthur, who's come to the character conclusion of I don't have a lot longer to live, sees them and says, that's all that matters now. And then like. Literally passing the hat off. What a brilliant way to write.

• 48:18Speaker 06

Yeah, I forced her to play it this year.

• 48:19Speaker 03

  Yeah.

• 48:19Speaker 04

  Did you cry too?

• 48:20Speaker 03

  Oh, I was like.

• 48:22Speaker 04

  I almost cried.

• 48:22Speaker 03

Like, I love movies and all, but I was like, this is like the best movie I've ever watched.

• 48:26Speaker 06

  Red Dead spoilers. Yeah.

• 48:28Speaker 03

  Yeah.

• 48:28Speaker 06

Yeah, I cried. It's funny, like my, uh, my employees the last couple of days, cause like I've obviously been kind of bad off. They've just been saying like, they, I'm walking around. All right, make way, black lung.

• 48:41Speaker 06

Dumberglosus, it's a hell of a thing, son.

• 48:44Speaker 01

I will, I, I like a not set at like the very end of like the epilogue to the game where you're playing as John. And you go, you get to the mountaintop, find a mic and stuff.

• 48:54Speaker 06

  Yeah.

• 48:54Speaker 01

Those guys come, I was like, it's always you, John. He's like, it's always me. And then.

• 49:01Speaker 01

The name of the song and the end mission being called American Menom.

• 49:05Speaker 03

  Yeah.

• 49:06Speaker 01

Oh, my gosh, dude, like 10 out of 10.

• 49:09Speaker 04

If you haven't played it again.

• 49:13Speaker 06

That's one of the reasons too, that video games are so cool is like, there's just no, I've never felt any way close. About a movie that I have about, like, there's good movies. But Red Dead Redemption 2 specifically is so good that it is impossible to explain to people.

• 49:31Speaker 03

  Yeah.

• 49:32Speaker 06

  You cannot articulate it.

• 49:33Speaker 03

It's like you just need to experience it.

• 49:34Speaker 06

  Yeah.

• 49:36Speaker 04

The only time I was getting like texts at two in the morning, cause I, that's when I knew your girl was out of town because it was Brandon at like two in the morning. He's like. Man. That was one of the hardest scenes to watch in Red Dead. I was like.

• 49:47Speaker 01

I'm asleep, I have to wake up in four.

• 49:50Speaker 06

I'm like, yeah, it's like, it's like two o'clock in the morning. I'm like. I just put my horse down.

• 49:57Speaker 03

  Yeah.

• 49:59The Fat Electrician?

  Good girl.

• 49:59Speaker 01

  It's fucked up.

• 50:01Speaker 04

It's, have you played it yet?

• 50:02The Fat Electrician?

No, I'm just playing League of Legends, being a complete degenerate. Because I hate myself.

• 50:06Speaker 05

I should feel bad about that one.

• 50:08The Fat Electrician?

I do feel bad, actually. It's great.

• 50:10Speaker 05

Did you see the one where it was like, the meme I think I sent you this morning? Where it's like, they were obviously like, doing something for like, a stage play, but it was like, the, you know, you have the big, like, crates for like, old fashioned dresses? But they were doing it for like, a play, and they had like, six kids underneath it, and like, one dude walking around with the crate, and they were just like, all walking underneath it. It's like, uh, when you pass a million subscribers as a Minecraft YouTuber.

• 50:34Speaker 03

  That's awesome.

• 50:35Speaker 01

  Yeah.

• 50:37Speaker 05

That's how I feel about League of Legends.

• 50:39The Fat Electrician?

  That's fair.

• 50:40Speaker 03

  Do you like Arkane too?

• 50:42The Fat Electrician?

  I hate it.

• 50:43Speaker 03

  Figures.

• 50:44The Fat Electrician?

  I hate the animation.

• 50:45Speaker 04

  Really?

• 50:46The Fat Electrician?

Yeah, I do not like the animation style.

• 50:48Speaker 03

  I don't like it.

• 50:49The Fat Electrician?

  I don't like it.

• 50:49Speaker 03

  I like it.

• 50:51Speaker 04

That is the most groundworky animation I've ever seen.

• 50:54The Fat Electrician?

I hate it. I'm sure it's great. I'm sure it's a terrific storyline. Do not like the animation. I can't do it. I'm sorry.

• 51:00Speaker 04

It's wild. That was the first time I was like, this is anime now.

• 51:04Speaker 05

I kind of know what you're talking about, where it's like, it might be a good story, but it's hard on the eyes.

• 51:07The Fat Electrician?

Like, is, are we doing, is it, is it real life? Is it CGI, or is it fucking cartoons? It's hybrid.

• 51:14Speaker 04

  Everyone's like, that's a bad take.

• 51:16Speaker 05

  Really?

• 51:16Speaker 04

You also think it's King of the Hills anime, so.

• 51:19The Fat Electrician?

  It is, objectively.

• 51:21Speaker 03

  It's terrible.

• 51:21The Fat Electrician?

  It's a hundred percent objective.

• 51:24Speaker 05

What do they call that animation? It's like, is it cell shading? Or what, what is it?

• 51:28Speaker 04

They did something new with, uh, League of Legends, or Arkane.

• 51:32Speaker 05

  Sorry, this is Arkane, yeah.

• 51:33Speaker 03

No, that's all right. No, I think everybody's got their opinion. I totally know what you mean, though. It took me a couple of episodes, because I was just like, everybody was talking about it when it first came out, and I was like, I'll watch it.

• 51:42Speaker 05

That was the nice way of saying.

• 51:44Speaker 03

And then the story and the characters, they did a really good job.

• 51:47Speaker 05

Thank you. That's a very political way of saying, you're entitled to be wrong.

• 51:51Speaker 04

  Yeah, exactly.

• 51:51Speaker 03

  You're stupid.

• 51:53Speaker 04

  Yeah, for sure.

• 51:56The Fat Electrician?

No, it's just like, you know how like a big movie will have like a thirty second intro cartoon? Like Hellboy has like the intro cartoon where they're telling a little background story for thirty, forty-five seconds where it's like a really jarring animation? It's that, but that's the whole show.

• 52:10Speaker 03

  Yeah, yeah.

• 52:11The Fat Electrician?

  I just, I don't know, I don't like it.

• 52:13Speaker 05

Did you see the cut that they did for China?

• 52:16The Fat Electrician?

  China?

• 52:17Speaker 05

  Yeah.

• 52:17Speaker 01

I didn't see that. I didn't see that. That was wild.

• 52:19Speaker 05

Like China, they, they literally re-animated certain scenes to remove gay stuff.

• 52:24Speaker 03

  Oh.

• 52:25Speaker 05

To make it more palatable to, uh, to Asian audiences.

• 52:27Speaker 03

  Oh, interesting.

• 52:28Speaker 04

They have, I mean, even World of Warcraft.

• 52:29Speaker 05

They have, uh, they have principles until it's time to sell to China.

• 52:32Speaker 01

Yep. Well, do you remember like the Black Panther and like Star Wars stuff, right?

• 52:36Speaker 05

  Yep.

• 52:36Speaker 01

Like on the original poster for like the first Marvel Black Panther movie where it's T'Challa, uh, Chad, Chadwick Boseman?

• 52:42Speaker 05

  Yep.

• 52:42Speaker 01

Chadwick Boseman. Uh, it was the poster in the United States was him with the mask off and the suit on, and then in China they had the mask on.

• 52:51Speaker 05

  Yeah.

• 52:51Speaker 01

  Cause like.

• 52:52Speaker 05

In Star Wars, they took Finn off the poster or like made him a tiny.

• 52:55Speaker 01

Very small. Yeah, they downsized Finn and stuff so that, yeah. It's like, well, we have principles about things unless there's money involved.

• 53:02Speaker 04

Well, we have principles in America.

• 53:04Speaker 01

  Exactly.

• 53:04Speaker 04

However. World of Warcraft, they got rid of all these skeletons and like they have completely different dungeons and, or models for it because I think skeletons or something is not allowed to be shown.

• 53:15Speaker 05

Scares them too bad. Scares them too bad.

• 53:18Speaker 04

  Yeah.

• 53:21Speaker 04

That's the line. But yeah, it's completely.

• 53:23Speaker 01

  Too spooky.

• 53:25Speaker 05

It's like a fucking scary dude.

• 53:29Speaker 05

Shit, man. You guys seen Scary Movie Two?

• 53:31Speaker 03

Scary Movie? Yeah, we were just watching all scary movies.

• 53:33Speaker 05

The skeleton in that movie scared the shit out of me when I was a child.

• 53:36Speaker 03

It's like moving around like this. It's like a fake skeleton. It's like the worst looking thing ever.

• 53:41Speaker 01

  Your parents are, uh-oh.

• 53:43Speaker 05

  They were. They actually were.

• 53:45Speaker 01

  That gave a nightmare.

• 53:46Speaker 05

  Yeah, they actually were.

• 53:46Speaker 01

  No.

• 53:49Speaker 05

  Yep.

• 53:50Speaker 04

What do you know, how goes the candy company? You fucking crushing with I dude, I love. We've talked about it so many times, even when you're not around. It's like just how motivating you are all the time. Yeah, dude, he's so successful.

• 54:04Speaker 04

You're building, you built an entire candy company that is now expanding into even bigger spaces. And then you just launched, um, the chews or the gummies, right?

• 54:13Speaker 03

  Little guys.

• 54:13Speaker 06

  Yeah, little guys.

• 54:14Speaker 03

  Little guys, yeah.

• 54:15Speaker 06

Yeah. Today we're launching a flavor that is lemon, cherry, watermelon, peach.

• 54:20Speaker 03

  Yeah.

• 54:21Speaker 06

  And it's called yellow snow.

• 54:22Speaker 03

  But it's all yellow, so.

• 54:23Speaker 06

And it's all yellow and the bag is a snowman who is covered with piss.

• 54:29Speaker 03

  But it's pretty delicious.

• 54:30Speaker 06

It's very good. Doesn't actually taste like piss. There's no piss in it.

• 54:34Speaker 03

  No.

• 54:35Speaker 06

  But it's called yellow.

• 54:35Speaker 05

  You almost had me.

• 54:36Speaker 03

  Yeah.

• 54:37Speaker 06

  That's true.

• 54:37Speaker 03

  There's one drop.

• 54:39Speaker 04

  Okay.

• 54:40Speaker 06

  There's a little piss.

• 54:42Speaker 01

  It's like the golden ticket.

• 54:43Speaker 03

  Exactly.

• 54:44Speaker 06

  There's a little.

• 54:45Speaker 03

  Oh. Ammonia.

• 54:51Speaker 06

Yeah, it smells like chicken broth.

• 54:52Speaker 03

  But it's.

• 54:53Speaker 01

Those little guys are dangerous because the strips I can be like, I'm going to take two to my room and be done. But those guys are like, the bag's empty.

• 55:00Speaker 03

Yeah, they're really good, but it's going really well.

• 55:02Speaker 05

It's just rad because of like how much adversity was involved in the company like early on. And you just moved past it and you're just fucking killing it.

• 55:09Speaker 03

  Yeah, absolutely.

• 55:10Speaker 06

Yeah, it's, uh, it's, it's still, it's still obviously like a challenge, but the, the team is all just like, yeah, it's easy now. We got it. Even if it's like insurmountable.

• 55:19Speaker 03

  Yeah.

• 55:19Speaker 06

They're just like, we can do it.

• 55:20Speaker 05

It's just nice to be in a position where it's like you're constantly sold out of everything.

• 55:23Speaker 06

  Yeah.

• 55:24Speaker 05

Like that is, it's still a problem, but it's a good problem to have as a business owner.

• 55:27Speaker 03

Now we're getting a bit better with that. We're able to produce more, which is great.

• 55:31Speaker 06

  Substantially more of them.

• 55:32Speaker 03

Yeah, so that we actually have stuff in store almost all the time now.

• 55:35Speaker 05

Are you still doing it all in-house?

• 55:36Speaker 03

Uh, yeah, yeah, still all in-house, still all direct to consumer.

• 55:40Speaker 06

Yeah, we're going to, uh, outsource our fulfillment soon as well. And that will get the, the turnarounds for orders higher, better, because we're fulfilling from like a small town in central Texas. So it's like a, by default, you're slower. Um, but we're, there's a company in Houston that's going to drive to us every week to get our new flavors.

• 55:58Speaker 05

  No shit.

• 55:59Speaker 06

Yeah, that's like a hard commitment.

• 56:01Speaker 03

  Huge.

• 56:01Speaker 06

To get, uh, but they're going to do that.

• 56:04Speaker 04

And then you're getting more machines up and running so you can produce even more, right?

• 56:09Speaker 03

Trying to build a warehouse soon or a bigger one so we can get more candy so we can.

• 56:13Speaker 04

It's like that perfect, it's that brain where it's like, I like YouTube. Also, wanna do candy? Video game sounds really good right now.

• 56:22Speaker 03

  The ultimate big candy.

• 56:23Speaker 04

Oh hey, Mr. Beast is calling.

• 56:35Speaker 04

  Cause my ginger.

• 56:37Speaker 05

I get to take off school every day.

• 56:40Speaker 01

  Chris, trim me.

• 56:42Speaker 03

But I need to do it in two minutes and then he wants to get up and leave.

• 56:45Speaker 05

  Yeah, she takes so long.

• 56:47Speaker 03

He's got, he's got a head of hair. He's got like more hair than me on his head. He's got a lot of hair.

• 56:54Speaker 05

I always say like, in order to be successful in this business, like to a, to a large degree, you have to have some combination of functional autism and ADHD.

• 57:03Speaker 03

  Yeah.

• 57:04Speaker 05

  Like it's all of us.

• 57:04Speaker 03

  Yeah, it's, it's, it's really interesting.

• 57:06Speaker 05

It feels like the Shane Gillis thing, like, ah, it nicked me.

• 57:12Speaker 05

Maybe not a hundred percent, but it's there.

• 57:15Speaker 01

Last time I was down, we took an autism test and Caleb passed with flying colors. Killed it. Yeah. It's also why he's the most successful.

• 57:24Speaker 05

Did I tell you about my shopping boys? Me, like me and all my shop guys took an autism test. We were all like, handshake, none of you guys can cheat. We all did the same autism test. I came in second somehow. Next to the guy who has a literal autism diagnosis.

• 57:40Speaker 03

  Same.

• 57:41Speaker 01

  Oh, you did, didn't you?

• 57:45Speaker 04

At the live show, fans were like, thank you for what you do. I have autism too. And they shake my hand, I'm like,

• 57:52Speaker 04

  is this a well-known thing?

• 57:57Speaker 04

All the time, everyone's just like.

• 57:58Speaker 05

Thank you so much. I'm also retarded.

• 58:06Speaker 04

  And it's genetic, thank god.

• 58:09Speaker 01

Caleb is like violently, uh, like.

• 58:13Speaker 04

  Autistic?

• 58:17Speaker 06

  I was gonna start spinning.

• 58:19Speaker 04

  You're the whole puzzle, homie.

• 58:21Speaker 01

  I was gonna say inspirational.

• 58:24The Fat Electrician?

  Violently inspirational.

• 58:30Speaker 06

  Remember the Argentinian food?

• 58:33Speaker 06

That was funny. What did I say? I forget.

• 58:34Speaker 04

We're at bunker and we just got a new, uh, Argentinian barbecue guy. And he came out and he was like making food just for all the bunker employees as like an intro to, so they could all get to know him.

• 58:47Speaker 06

I don't know why he kept calling it schnitzel, but.

• 58:49Speaker 04

  Bro, no.

• 58:51Speaker 06

  That's funny.

• 58:52Speaker 04

It was so good. Like, we were eating it and he takes one bite of empanada and goes, "Bro, I'm gonna start fucking punching people." This food is so good.

• 59:08Speaker 01

And he goes, "Bro, they've got empanadas. I'll punch you in the face."

• 59:11Speaker 06

  They were so good.

• 59:12Speaker 01

You can have them. It's okay.

• 59:14Speaker 06

I was sad for you. They didn't have it until you got there.

• 59:19Speaker 01

He's about it. When he likes something, he likes it. But no, like Caleb is violently inspirational. Cause every time I hang out with him, I'm like, "Man, I could be doing so much more." Oh, I could imagine. Yeah.

• 59:31Speaker 03

I feel like I'm failing every day.

• 59:32Speaker 01

Yeah, cause you're doing so bad TikTok. Yeah. Awesome. Cover of Rolling Stones, right?

• 59:38Speaker 03

  Cover of, no.

• 59:39Speaker 01

  You were in Rolling Stones.

• 59:40Speaker 03

No, no, I, no, it was just like.

• 59:42Speaker 04

Do Australians subscribe to you, right?

• 59:45Speaker 03

  Two, yeah.

• 59:46Speaker 01

  It was what? Clarify.

• 59:48Speaker 03

No, no, it was just like a, it was a little thing. It was a little thing.

• 59:52Speaker 01

  In Rolling Stones.

• 59:52Speaker 03

  Yeah, but like.

• 59:56Speaker 00

• 1:00:26Speaker 03

  Yeah.

• 1:00:27Speaker 01

  Yeah. Yeah, okay, so.

• 1:00:29Speaker 05

Sure, I made the thirty under thirty.

• 1:00:31Speaker 04

  It's a blur.

• 1:00:32Speaker 01

So, you know what? You're right. Both of them are violently inspirational. Because every time I hang out, I'm like, there's so much more I could be doing. Like, they're so far beyond the game. Like, everyone else I know.

• 1:00:45Speaker 03

No, we push each other a lot. It's awesome. Physically. Yeah.

• 1:00:50Speaker 03

  Mentally, physically. Help. Every morning.

• 1:00:53Speaker 01

  That's what I'm saying.

• 1:00:54Speaker 03

  Every morning we wake up.

• 1:00:55Speaker 04

That explains the satchel full of herbs you need to walk around with twenty-four seven. Just to help straighten out my gait. Function. Chris, we're going to San Antonio to the Burnett Ranch Day.

• 1:01:08Speaker 04

Carry me. Can you make her walk? It's a long piggyback.

• 1:01:12Speaker 05

It's like, he's like the fucking Witcher. It's kind of like. I'm a mystic.

• 1:01:17Speaker 04

  You're fucking un-mediocledic. I'm just like, drink.

• 1:01:21Speaker 05

Wow. Hold on. You've been shot, here's some ginger.

• 1:01:25Speaker 03

  Like, actually, though. It does.

• 1:01:28Speaker 04

Man, you're a bit under the weather.

• 1:01:30Speaker 03

It's like living with a wizard. It's great.

• 1:01:32Speaker 04

Yes. What is he making medicine?

• 1:01:35Speaker 01

My joke forever is I was curing autism.

• 1:01:39Speaker 03

  What's ginger?

• 1:01:40Speaker 05

Just so you know, southern American wizards are a little different than the Canadian.

• 1:01:45Speaker 04

  Yeah, it's different.

• 1:01:46Speaker 05

Yeah, no, I'm not a wizard. I'm an alchemist.

• 1:01:49Speaker 03

  He's an alchemist.

• 1:01:50Speaker 05

  You're a grand alchemist.

• 1:01:52Speaker 01

  No.

• 1:01:53Speaker 03

  No.

• 1:02:00Speaker 04

My ghost costume is leaving this place.

• 1:02:10Speaker 05

  See you on Tuesday night.

• 1:02:14Speaker 04

We would talk about, it's just being so thankful to be surrounded by, like, all these individuals as a friend group. Because it is, no one's failing because we push each other. And when you feel like such a piece of shit, if you're like, you see where they're going, and you're like, I gotta do way better in life. I, oh, he's launched candy, and now video game. Game, well, I got shoes. Unsub needs to step it up, guys. I just sell t-shirts.

• 1:02:44Speaker 01

Now, you guys are the same way, like, it's a privilege to know these two, and it's a privilege to know you all as well, just like seeing people excel that far, like, it's crazy. It's crazy how far you can go with this platform.

• 1:02:54Speaker 06

  Dude, you-

• 1:02:54Speaker 05

I feel like it's like we just have so much opportunity in front of us that it's hard to pick a direction.

• 1:02:59Speaker 03

  Yeah, exactly.

• 1:03:00Speaker 05

We, we see all the different directions you can go, and like you guys are breaking the mold. I think that's why we focus on that a little bit, because like, you broke the mold in such a unique way, especially like video games and candy. It's like, we just sell shirts and, you know, all the other shit that we do, like a podcast, whatnot, like, it's pretty, pretty normal. But like, you're just finding new and exciting ways to like bring your passion into, into the fold.

• 1:03:22Speaker 06

Yeah, that, that's the, that's definitely the, the main reason I would do any of that stuff, just because it's all stuff that I really enjoy. But, uh, to be fair, we don't have a video game yet.

• 1:03:30Speaker 03

  Yeah.

• 1:03:31Speaker 06

  So-

• 1:03:31Speaker 01

  Okay, well-

• 1:03:32Speaker 06

Wait, do you have a wish list? Hopefully-

• 1:03:34Speaker 03

Yeah, you can go wishlist it.

• 1:03:35Speaker 06

  Hopefully before May.

• 1:03:37Speaker 01

  Okay, so-

• 1:03:38Speaker 06

  But we'll see.

• 1:03:38Speaker 05

  That's pretty close.

• 1:03:39Speaker 06

Yeah, it's really close. It's pretty good, it's pretty good, but it's not gonna, it's not gonna launch-

• 1:03:43Speaker 01

You have a video game, like this guy.

• 1:03:44Speaker 06

  I can play it.

• 1:03:45Speaker 01

There is a demo out right now.

• 1:03:47Speaker 06

  There is a demo, but-

• 1:03:48Speaker 01

  You have a video game.

• 1:03:49Speaker 06

The demo is for the purpose of feedback.

• 1:03:52Speaker 01

  I hate this guy.

• 1:03:52Speaker 06

  Yeah.

• 1:03:55Speaker 04

If I have a gun, but everybody else isn't allowed to shoot my [bleep] gun, I've got a gun.

• 1:04:04Speaker 05

  It's called the AK-50.

• 1:04:06Speaker 06

  Yeah, it's true.

• 1:04:07Speaker 03

  That's fair, that's fair.

• 1:04:11Speaker 05

Like, real talk, how do you feel about it? Like, the way that it's going so far, development and whatnot, like, are you, you happy with it? And like, you're, you're good with the direction?

• 1:04:17Speaker 06

  I love it.

• 1:04:18Speaker 05

  Good.

• 1:04:18Speaker 06

Yeah, absolutely. Especially, uh, pop, popping the demo out and getting to see people's feedbacks and, uh, feedbacks. Getting to see, uh, people's feedback, and the things that they are thinking of are the things that we're questioning as to whether or not, like, the negative criticism-

• 1:04:34Speaker 05

  Yeah.

• 1:04:34Speaker 06

Are things that we've already got

• 1:04:38Speaker 06

under control to an extent. Uh, and then the things that they love are things that we're like, I wonder if this is gonna work. You know, so it's cool. It's really cool seeing the validation from both sides. Um, and then people who know who I am playing it, their feedback versus people who are just on Steam, playing it, um, and seeing their feedback. Like, it's, it's really interesting. Overall, I feel, uh- No respite. They're even releasing the demo, it's just, it's, making a video game is, I'm not even, but 10% of it. And it is so much work and preparation and planning, easily the most difficult thing I've ever been involved in, by a factor of 10.

• 1:05:16Speaker 05

What is your involvement, like, in like your day-to-day as far as the video game stuff? Like, what is it that you're in control of?

• 1:05:22Speaker 06

So, day-to-day, we have director's conversations on a daily basis. On a busy week, let's say, because some weeks are less busy, there's-

• 1:05:30Speaker 05

I don't know how you keep doing that, by the way.

• 1:05:32Speaker 06

Yeah, he's in on it, dude. Yeah.

• 1:05:33Speaker 01

  Cause I'm a man, dad.

• 1:05:35Speaker 05

Oh, fuck off. Give me some-

• 1:05:39Speaker 01

  That's what I thought.

• 1:05:39Speaker 03

  Just take a nibble.

• 1:05:40Speaker 06

  Just a nip.

• 1:05:41Speaker 03

  Just a little.

• 1:05:42Speaker 01

You don't have to put the whole thing in.

• 1:05:43Speaker 03

Like graze your teeth all in.

• 1:05:44Speaker 06

  Just a tad.

• 1:05:45Speaker 05

Heard that one before. Scoutmaster Kevin.

• 1:05:48Speaker 01

  No, you didn't.

• 1:05:54Speaker 06

  Just a little.

• 1:05:55Speaker 03

  Yeah, like actually.

• 1:05:56Speaker 01

You don't have to put, you can just bite off a tiny bit.

• 1:05:58Speaker 06

  Do it.

• 1:05:58Speaker 05

  Yeah. I'd way better.

• 1:05:59Speaker 03

  Yeah, that's what I do.

• 1:06:01The Fat Electrician?

  Lip it.

• 1:06:01Speaker 05

  Alright Scoutmaster Kevin.

• 1:06:06Speaker 06

  What is it?

• 1:06:08Speaker 05

  A video game.

• 1:06:10Speaker 06

So, stand up, talk to everybody, see what everybody's gonna be working on, figure out, I work as the executive producer. So I have a producer that reports to me, and then that, like, basically everything through the week that's done in our sprints, which is like, basically the goal of the week, that everyone keeps track of, and there's, you know, cards. We use Jira as our, our management software to like, keep track of what's going on. It's these cool little cards, it's really interesting. And, at the end of the week, all the decisions, everything that's going in the game, I'm sort of going through, making sure that it's fitting our vision, and then throughout the week, we'll have meetings, just kind of formulating different things,

• 1:06:55Speaker 06

putting more thought into certain things, talking with tech, what do we need? You know, how, do we need more time, how does this feel, what are, what bugs are we looking at? Cause, cause if you think about a game, it's, there's art, design, and tech. And the tech part of it is probably the biggest part, but without, because you have to build your systems to be able to even design anything and you have to be able to build your systems before you can even put art in. Um, so it's like, it's really easy to get blocked. Um, and like if one team is doing something, chances are another team can't do anything because they haven't finished what they're doing yet. So like figuring out how to solve those problems, um, which are just forever problems that you can't solve.

• 1:07:36Speaker 05

  Logistics.

• 1:07:36Speaker 03

  Yeah.

• 1:07:36Speaker 06

Logistically, yeah. It really is a logistical, uh, it's a logistical nightmare.

• 1:07:41Speaker 03

  Yeah.

• 1:07:41Speaker 06

Um, making a video game, it really is.

• 1:07:43Speaker 05

Cause I saw some of that stuff when, uh, when Stalker 2 released recently, like where people are falling out of the map. They're having like game breaking bugs.

• 1:07:49Speaker 06

  Yeah.

• 1:07:50Speaker 05

A little bit. And from what I hear, like it's a great game. I played like probably two, three hours of it so far. But like they're, they're getting to places where the devs are now trying to patch things where they're like, there's 80 different way, 80,000 different ways to approach this problem.

• 1:08:02Speaker 06

  Absolutely.

• 1:08:03Speaker 05

And five of them have you falling out of the universe forever. So it's like, fuck, we, we need to figure out how to solve these.

• 1:08:08Speaker 06

Yeah, it's, it's, I have a new respect for, uh, games because even if your game is good and your tech is good and your systems are good, is the engine good? You know, does the engine need to be patched? Cause that's a huge thing as well. Um, like are you, are you stable? Are, is your, all the 50 systems that are a part of you walking a quarter mile on the map and picking stuff up and just playing, you know, a normal, simple ass game. Are all those 50 systems all working together? Do they work together the same way each time? Is the game laggy? When you work one way, is it performant and that? Like there is an unlimited amount of problems that you always have to solve.

• 1:08:48Speaker 05

We had to figure that out with Pepperbox. Cause like we found out there was a, there was a glitch at one point where it's like, all right, we have an iPhone open with the Pepperbox app.

• 1:08:55Speaker 06

  It's that shit.

• 1:08:55Speaker 05

We leave it until the iPhone goes to hibernate and we open it up and now it's blacked out. Like the screen's black. Like there's so many little bugs that you're like, why the fuck would you ever do that? I don't know, but somebody will.

• 1:09:04Speaker 06

  Absolutely.

• 1:09:05Speaker 04

And that's a big, we, I assume you have a very kind audience too, where they are. We are blessed with the Pepperbox and all y'all because it is, hey, this is broken. Or hey, that we have this issue and we'll fix it within a week, but we are very big on it's like, hey, what do you want to see implemented in this?

• 1:09:21Speaker 06

  Absolutely.

• 1:09:21Speaker 04

And then every month we try to update and it's like, hey, we listen to y'all. Here you go. What do you think? Okay. Thumbs up. Now what is your level of like doing what you're doing? How much respect do you have like for Hideo Kojima where you see that dude level?

• 1:09:35Speaker 06

Yeah, it's on another level. Yeah.

• 1:09:37Speaker 04

I need the engine. I'm gonna learn coding. I'm gonna learn music. I want it to do this. I'll learn it and make the game do that during Metal Gear Solid.

• 1:09:44Speaker 06

Yeah, that's um, that is the biggest thing is is like how humbling all this stuff is. And then how many challenges there are too? Because it's like you can't, you can do that. You can learn, like if there's a tech system, I can learn how it works and then potentially lend help to that. Some things are just so complicated, it would take years to learn, obviously. But with the way things work now, most stuff is not overtly complicated. So people like that are humbling. And just in general, like your average designer, like there's so much work that goes into video games. It's insane. Yeah, I mean, I, the, the Herculean effort that Red Dead Redemption 2 was to make, how good it was on, from the user experience,

• 1:10:25Speaker 06

I just can't, like, the devs have to, like, I mean, that, you could die after that. The legacy, being able to contribute to that, that is insane. How much meaning and like entertainment?

• 1:10:35Speaker 01

To build so many layers of like foundation.

• 1:10:38Speaker 06

  Yeah.

• 1:10:39Speaker 01

And before you even touch story writing, characters, actors, art design.

• 1:10:44Speaker 06

  You gotta have the game.

• 1:10:45Speaker 01

But then you, you build the whole game and then you get to that, then you build all that and it, it's like a, an orchestra. It all comes together in such a moment to where Arthur, spoilers, Arthur dies on the rock as May I Stand Unshaken plays, comes over the mountain. It's like, the number of people who put their souls into it to make that happen for the player, it's overwhelming.

• 1:11:04Speaker 04

Unless you got the other ending.

• 1:11:07Speaker 01

  Yeah.

• 1:11:08Speaker 06

  You played Low Honor?

• 1:11:09Speaker 04

No, I had the good one.

• 1:11:10Speaker 01

  That's why.

• 1:11:12Speaker 04

Cause I didn't know, I got good. And then I was like, oh, what's the other ending? I was like, oh, God.

• 1:11:17Speaker 01

  Yeah.

• 1:11:17Speaker 06

  Oh, yeah.

• 1:11:17Speaker 01

  He gets brained.

• 1:11:22Speaker 06

And you're like, do you have the, the elk or the wolf?

• 1:11:29Speaker 01

Do you have the elk or the wolf?

• 1:11:31Speaker 05

Do you see a deer? Okay, you're alright.

• 1:11:34Speaker 04

Do that level of just like music and then it is on that next level of game development. It's like, hey, we'll do hunting creatures and cooking.

• 1:11:42Speaker 05

And I think it did go a little far in a couple of places. It's like, I don't, I shouldn't have to scrub my left arm and then my right arm. Like, certain times, it's like, alright, you're, you're going a little fucking far here.

• 1:11:51Speaker 06

Yeah, they were bold with that stuff. Cause all that's a choice. Yeah. Like, they know.

• 1:11:55Speaker 04

You can get fat or skinny or just average.

• 1:11:58Speaker 06

They know that it, people are going to probably play it more. And they're, it's gonna be more broadly appealing if those things are simpler. And people will be less frustrated and they'll be less bored. Cause like, all this stuff's like, there's, I mean, there's, it would be foolish to assume there's not, uh, you know, millions upon millions of dollars into researching the player's attention and how it folds through the game. Like, as people play, you go into a boredom zone and then you pull them out of the boredom zone. And then you challenge them and then you get them bored again and you chat, like, that's how games work.

• 1:12:30Speaker 06

To be able to do stuff like what you're talking about and you still beat the game in spite of that.

• 1:12:34Speaker 04

  Yeah.

• 1:12:35Speaker 06

It's so, like, I just, I would love to talk to those people and just learn about that.

• 1:12:39Speaker 05

  Rockstar doesn't miss.

• 1:12:41Speaker 06

  They're, it's crazy.

• 1:12:43Speaker 05

And it's like, well, if we have another Red Dead game, it's probably gonna come out like, by the time my kids are three. But like, take your time. If that's what, if that's the product you make, take as long as you need.

• 1:12:54Speaker 06

  Right.

• 1:12:54Speaker 04

Yeah. Those are the right developers, too. When you see that, like, it's why I do, I'll praise Kojima. If you read about Kojima's childhood and then how he got into the space of gaming and the only reason he worked with Konami, he was like, oh, well, I didn't want to disappoint my mom. My family was big into movies and cinemas. My dad died when I was young. So we'd still, but as a family, we'd watch movies every once a week or we'd watch it multiple times a week, but go to the theater. Dad died, mom's like, hey, make sure you continue this, like, for your dad. He went to Konami because it was the only company at the time that had publicly traded. And that's what they like for honor is like, oh, this will make my parents or my mom proud. So I'll do this.

• 1:13:35Speaker 04

And then I'll start this little crazy thing Metal Gear and I'll start developing and I'll work for, I forget the first game. And then he was underneath somebody and then it's like, I want to add this. Well, you can't do that. Why? Well, they don't have that coded. Okay. Did what you did, just learn coding. It's like there, now we have sneaking mechanics and they're like, what the?

• 1:13:54Speaker 05

And I didn't realize how, how far he went like outside the box on certain things until I saw some breakdowns. Cause I never played the Metal Gear games, but like.

• 1:14:02Speaker 04

It's why I went to work and have PTSD.

• 1:14:05Speaker 01

Well, that, that is such a funny takeaway from Metal Gear.

• 1:14:09Speaker 01

To get to the end and be like, military good, good.

• 1:14:13Speaker 05

  Meanwhile, breakdowns over here like.

• 1:14:15Speaker 04

  I am a tool.

• 1:14:19Speaker 01

It's the worst takeaway. Yeah. You finish Metal Gear three and you're like, and he did a good thing shooting her. Right. Traitor. God.

• 1:14:30Speaker 05

But like the mind reading where it's like, they would read your memory card to know what like other games you played. That's fucking wild for the time.

• 1:14:38Speaker 04

  Yep.

• 1:14:38Speaker 06

Yeah. That's a, that's like, you know, to be a little invasive, but in the same conversation as those people is just not even like, that, that's just. Hayao Kojima is like a, he's like a god, essentially a deity. And in the gaming world. So it's a different thing.

• 1:14:54Speaker 04

And it all came from like, I just like movies. And then he's just hyper focused on video game development, story writing. And he continues and now I love, he's a rock star of the video. Like there is no other video, maybe like three. Directors in the video game space that you're, their names are known and then he is one of them. He sits at the top like movie.

• 1:15:16Speaker 05

I don't think there's anybody that has a, there's studios, but there's no singular person that has a bigger name than him. I, I don't think.

• 1:15:23Speaker 04

When the studio is Hayao Kojima.

• 1:15:26Speaker 06

No, no, no, there is the only other guy is a guy who is not known for being awesome. He's known for being cool.

• 1:15:33Speaker 01

Caleb's favorite person in the world.

• 1:15:35Speaker 06

  Todd Howard.

• 1:15:36Speaker 04

  Oh, well.

• 1:15:37Speaker 06

We gotta toss his name into the hat. He is known quite well, but...

• 1:15:42Speaker 03

He has a cardboard cutout of Todd Howard.

• 1:15:43Speaker 06

I have a cardboard cutout of Todd Howard.

• 1:15:45Speaker 03

  It scares me every day.

• 1:15:46Speaker 06

  He hasn't... Yeah, yeah. He's... He's a...

• 1:15:50Speaker 04

  Let him watch.

• 1:15:51Speaker 06

  He's...

• 1:15:53Speaker 06

  Stop nodding today.

• 1:15:55Speaker 05

You just turn Todd Howard around.

• 1:15:59Speaker 06

Yeah. Can we leave Todd in the gun closet?

• 1:16:04Speaker 06

Yeah. Todd Howard. I love Todd.

• 1:16:09Speaker 06

Apparently! Yeah, he's pretty cool. He's pretty cool. Every time anyone goes into my garage, like... Oh!

• 1:16:14Speaker 03

  He's in the garage.

• 1:16:16Speaker 05

Am I making you proud, Todd?

• 1:16:17Speaker 06

  He's in there.

• 1:16:18Speaker 03

Yeah, he's in the garage and there's like a window into the garage, into his office, and you can just see Todd through his office window.

• 1:16:25Speaker 01

It's really funny because you can just slowly shut the blinds.

• 1:16:32Speaker 03

Todd has his hand on it.

• 1:16:35Speaker 01

  Caleb's like, "It's not funny."

• 1:16:37Speaker 06

  Yeah.

• 1:16:38Speaker 03

You guys don't get it. You guys don't get it.

• 1:16:40Speaker 06

We talk a lot. No, he's a bit of a goober, right? It's more of a joke. It's in jest. I do love him. I love, obviously, all the Elder Scrolls games, but they are good because they're kind of like poopy a little bit. They're good because you can just break them and there's chaos. Like, they're not good because it's this insanely hyper-polished story that's so beautiful. They're good because it's a sandbox and you can just be the person you want to be.

• 1:17:05Speaker 04

The bugs are kind of the future.

• 1:17:06Speaker 06

  Exactly. Yeah, yeah, yeah.

• 1:17:08Speaker 04

  First microtransactions.

• 1:17:10Speaker 06

Yeah. Horse armor. Oh, no shit.

• 1:17:13Speaker 01

  The horse armor and...

• 1:17:14Speaker 06

We were talking about this a couple days ago. Oblivion. Yeah, Oblivion.

• 1:17:17Speaker 04

That was literally the first game to have microtransactions.

• 1:17:20Speaker 06

  A forerunner. Stuffed the entire...

• 1:17:23Speaker 06

  Thank you, Todd!

• 1:17:25Speaker 01

Yeah, he's gonna be a game developer. Thank God!

• 1:17:29Speaker 06

  Thank you, Todd! Yeah.

• 1:17:30Speaker 01

Going to charge $40 for the RV skins in Black Pine.

• 1:17:33Speaker 06

I'm gonna bring what I've learned from YouTube right into the video game industry.

• 1:17:36Speaker 04

  And Todd we trust.

• 1:17:37Speaker 06

Yeah. I'm gonna let people super chat in the game. They're gonna be giving me super chats in the game. Bitch is rude. I'm just kidding.

• 1:17:47Speaker 05

There's the doctor disrespect joke. I'm not gonna make it.

• 1:17:55Speaker 05

Yeah, but it's been extremely humbling though. I have nothing but respect for people in the world. Um, and you know, hopefully we can make something fun.

• 1:18:04Speaker 04

  I can do, I can't wait.

• 1:18:06Speaker 03

Yeah, he works at it literally 24/7.

• 1:18:08Speaker 05

  Yeah.

• 1:18:08Speaker 03

Like even when we go to sit down and watch movies, he'll have his laptop and his little, his little cushion laptop holder thing.

• 1:18:15Speaker 05

  My Zen cushion.

• 1:18:16Speaker 03

He'll be working on uh, how to develop, like do something to, to put into the game, like in terms of whether it's coding or whether it's like actually making the little guy move. It's pretty fun to watch.

• 1:18:29Speaker 04

Yeah, it's a shout out to everyone at the table or like anyone that's succeeding. It is for everyone back there, you don't realize how much effort and work people put into each little project from YouTube to reviews to, hey, I want to do this new venture. Yet, like as you're saying, that's what you're like, man, it's awesome to see my spouse. Like he's fucking crushing it every minute. And it is like 10, 12 at night. Doesn't matter at midnight, he's still working.

• 1:18:54Speaker 03

  Absolutely.

• 1:18:55Speaker 04

Yesterday, we were still like at the bar, at the range day and I have text from him. He's like, hey, we gotta meet this guy for a business talk. We walk into the woods, good business. We just walked into the woods, had a conversation, awesome. And in the evening, you're like, hey, we got this. Bar, sidebars, everyone's like doing business and figuring stuff out. Same for you. It's like, and yeah, it's like everything's so awesome to see. And the people out there, I wish, that's always the takeaway. It's like, if you think the guys, it's like, it's an easy life. The level of work everyone does is sitting at this table is you only see like 1% of it. And then it is till 2:00 in the morning, you, you're filming your videos at somebody else's studio. You're like, hey, I'm on vacation. Still doing a video.

• 1:19:38Speaker 05

Yeah, well, I think it's nice to have the choice too, where it's like you, you can rest on your laurels if we want. We, we all have a pretty good life.

• 1:19:43Speaker 03

  Yes, absolutely.

• 1:19:44Speaker 05

Yeah, like you can't really bitch about it, but if you want to do more, we're lucky enough to be in a position where if we want to work harder, that work will go towards something.

• 1:19:54Speaker 03

  Yes.

• 1:19:55The Fat Electrician?

Yeah, that's why me and Jay Wolf, we're at IHOP at 4:00 AM. We were working very hard.

• 1:20:02Speaker 05

  To stay awake.

• 1:20:05The Fat Electrician?

Honestly, I was trying not to get kicked out of IHOP.

• 1:20:07Speaker 05

Oh yeah. So you have a story with Leon, I believe.

• 1:20:09The Fat Electrician?

  Bro.

• 1:20:10Speaker 04

  Wait, what?

• 1:20:11The Fat Electrician?

I found this in the backseat. You did not.

• 1:20:14Speaker 01

  What is it?

• 1:20:15The Fat Electrician?

  Oh, no.

• 1:20:17Speaker 01

A meat stick? Oh, Christ. The audience right now is like, what, what, what?

• 1:20:21The Fat Electrician?

  Leon Lush.

• 1:20:24The Fat Electrician?

We're fucked up at IHOP at four AM and he's like, dude, I was so hungover today. I thought I died. And he, he's like, I got, I got off the plane and it was like two. And my hotel wasn't open yet. And rather than texting any of my 50 friends in town, I decided to go to Topgolf by myself and drink four IPAs.

• 1:20:43Speaker 01

  At two?

• 1:20:43The Fat Electrician?

  At two at PM.

• 1:20:46Speaker 01

  Oh, oh.

• 1:20:46The Fat Electrician?

This is, this is not yesterday, but day before, day before range day. So he's at Topgolf drinking IPAs by himself and he goes to the hotel room, drops off his bag and then goes to the hotel bar and apparently meets a large Samoan man and they shared. I believe he said 19 Modellos between the two of them. And then he went to the pre-range party at that place we go. And apparently it got also very drunk there. And he's like, I don't really know what happened. I just remember like it was three in the morning and they asked me to leave and then they locked the door and I couldn't get an Uber to pick me up because this is like pretty far out of the city. And he's, I was just standing there cold in a T-shirt and 30 degree weather. But you know, it's fine. He's big guy.

• 1:21:30The Fat Electrician?

No, yeah, no, just, he eventually got like a lift to come pick him up and drove him back to the hotel room, just completely fucking smashed. And he's like, and then I just, I went up to the, the little counter and I bought a Slim Jim and ate it to not be hungover the next day and went to bed.

• 1:21:50Speaker 01

Like, ah, yes. The hangover cure. One Slim Jim.

• 1:21:57The Fat Electrician?

19 grams of protein and 1,200 milligrams of salt. That's going to help hydrate. He said he was so fucked up. He woke up at seven in a panic because he thought he slept through range day.

• 1:22:11The Fat Electrician?

Stumbled out of his hotel room, wearing a dirty T-shirt and his boxers and ate the continental breakfast in his boxers.

• 1:22:24Speaker 03

  Oh, my gosh.

• 1:22:26Speaker 01

  I love that guy.

• 1:22:30Speaker 05

  God chooses unconventional warriors sometimes.

• 1:22:35Speaker 01

An unconventional war means it's unconventional warrior.

• 1:22:40Speaker 05

And my god, do we have special forces?

• 1:22:43Speaker 04

I just picture him talking to the host. I don't want to be hungover tomorrow.

• 1:22:50Speaker 04

  He walks off.

• 1:22:50Speaker 01

  That'll do it.

• 1:22:54The Fat Electrician?

We're good now. Yeah, we're good.

• 1:22:57Speaker 05

But you said you were trying not to get arrested last night?

• 1:22:59The Fat Electrician?

We were fucking, we were obnoxious in IHOP. We were laughing so hard drunk at that Leon explaining that story.

• 1:23:06Speaker 04

  That was last night?

• 1:23:07The Fat Electrician?

  At 4am.

• 1:23:08Speaker 04

I will say Nick is the dude that wakes up before everyone and today it was like, I got a text from you. It's like 9:15, you're like, I'm up. I'm like, huh. This explains it way better.

• 1:23:19The Fat Electrician?

Oh yeah, no, I didn't go to bed till like 5.

• 1:23:22Speaker 04

Nick loves breakfast food, by the way.

• 1:23:24The Fat Electrician?

It was awesome. It was good. It's breakfast. What, what do you want from me?

• 1:23:26Speaker 04

  Nothing.

• 1:23:27The Fat Electrician?

I was drunk. We went to IHOP, okay? I'm innocent. I've got, I've got J-Wol. Here was, nothing good happens after midnight and the bar closes every time. It's me and J-Wol. Close down the bar after the post-range day party and then we go to IHOP the last like three range days in a row. And I don't mind closing down the bar and being drunk because like I have J-Wol. Like what's the way, that motherfucker will tuck me in. Like I don't care.

• 1:23:50Speaker 04

J-Wol is seven foot one, by the way.

• 1:23:54Speaker 03

That's crazy. I was, I was looking at him like getting drinks. I was like, he's taller than the fridge.

• 1:24:00Speaker 04

  I know.

• 1:24:01Speaker 01

  You will.

• 1:24:02Speaker 04

That's what I like about it. They're just gonna see a shadow fall over the groom.

• 1:24:07Speaker 01

  It's like a haggar.

• 1:24:10Speaker 04

  Very good.

• 1:24:12Speaker 03

  Jesus Christ!

• 1:24:15Speaker 04

  Wait, Chris, get in there.

• 1:24:17Speaker 03

I'll take my boot off. It makes me taller. Oh wow.

• 1:24:22Speaker 03

I'm just like a little guy.

• 1:24:24Speaker 04

J-Wol's the only dude I give hugs and I feel good because I'm like, hi tits.

• 1:24:34Speaker 05

There was one time I remember, I think it was a shot show of like 2021, maybe 2022. We went to, so every, every place in Vegas serves alcohol, like pretty much everywhere. We went to the, the IHOP or the Denny's right next to the Venetian. And it was like me, you, Caleb Francis.

• 1:24:53Speaker 04

  Caleb Francis.

• 1:24:56Speaker 05

Cody, like just everybody together and we are like, that was the closest I think I've ever been to pissing myself in public. I was laughing my ass off.

• 1:25:04Speaker 04

  Do you know Caleb Francis?

• 1:25:05Speaker 05

  So hard.

• 1:25:05Speaker 03

  Yeah, yeah, yeah.

• 1:25:06Speaker 04

  Caleb, great guy, right?

• 1:25:07Speaker 03

  Oh, yeah.

• 1:25:08Speaker 04

Also amazing when you get him shit wrecked.

• 1:25:11Speaker 05

One of the most organically funny people I know.

• 1:25:14Speaker 03

  He's very funny, yeah.

• 1:25:16Speaker 05

It felt that just hysterical, like you couldn't even begin to describe.

• 1:25:20Speaker 04

He's just giving commercials for it. He's just doing Caleb.

• 1:25:24Speaker 05

Threatening to beat people's kids with a baseball bat.

• 1:25:26Speaker 04

  Well, it's a Denny's.

• 1:25:28Speaker 03

  Well, kill your kids.

• 1:25:31Speaker 05

But he's the Jolly Green Giant, so like everybody's like, alright.

• 1:25:34Speaker 04

I'm convinced, I'm like actually concerned that Caleb might be my guardian angel. Really? I'm not sure. Every time I get shit wrecked, like overly drunk, like I wake up and I was like, I, I, I went too hard last, this, I, this was a mistake. Within 45 minutes, Caleb Francis apparates out of nowhere with fucking breakfast burritos. It happened at Range Day.

• 1:25:55Speaker 05

  He's the mysterious stranger perk?

• 1:25:57Speaker 04

I do, I swear to God, 100%. We were.

• 1:26:00Speaker 05

  I'm glad you got that.

• 1:26:01Speaker 04

No, I pulled out a pause. I didn't. He just texted me this.

• 1:26:07Speaker 05

God said, text me because last.

• 1:26:09Speaker 04

  What is that?

• 1:26:09Speaker 05

  Oh, no.

• 1:26:10Speaker 04

  Party foul.

• 1:26:12Speaker 04

Last night, may I have a thing? Uh, last night I had two sandwiches. I was like, uh, I didn't drink that much. I was like, I don't want to get drunk. I hate hangovers and I'm 40. So Caleb, I like walk outside as Caleb's going inside. I'm like, hey, do you want this? He's stumbling. I was like, hey, do you want this? He's like, whose is it? It's mine. Would you like some food? What is it? It's a sandwich. He's like, yes, please. So shit, right? He like, he takes a bite and he's like.

• 1:26:42Speaker 04

Thank you. He hugs me and then he texts me, he's like, "God sent me an angel."

• 1:26:49Speaker 04

That's why I was like, "What, holy shit." That was a wrong dude. Exact same thing.

• 1:26:54The Fat Electrician?

I, I pulled up to Range Day and like, I pull up and then I like, only person I see is Caleb with his truck and the tailgate down, and I'm not shitting you, four grocery bags full of breakfast burritos. And he's like, "You want some breakfast burritos? They're really good. They're from Maria's Tacos. It's like really" "It's the best breakfast burrito I've ever had in my life."

• 1:27:14Speaker 04

  Maria Tacos throws.

• 1:27:15Speaker 05

I just picture that shitty meme format, just Caleb Francis standing over you, "Get us."

• 1:27:21Speaker 01

Hey, you want some breakfast burritos? They're real good. God sends his drunkest angels to his hungriest soldiers.

• 1:27:28Speaker 03

  Wow.

• 1:27:29Speaker 05

  Ah, yes. Psalms 23.

• 1:27:38Speaker 04

Now, Ms. Chris, you, I, we talked, I think, last night. I was like, "I'm loving your content." She has made the rotation of, "I'm going to bed. We'll put on Creepcast. We'll put on Oompa. We'll put on Meat." We'll put on, like, none of my friends here. I hang out with them too much. And now you're in that rotation. You are fucking killing the game.

• 1:27:58Speaker 03

  Thank you.

• 1:27:59Speaker 04

And look at, you've done it in the past, but now you're just like reinvigorated with it.

• 1:28:02Speaker 03

Yeah, I, I just, I really like the deep dive content. Honestly, I just like it a lot more. And he was the one that motivated me to do it. I was like, because I was mostly doing just like bullshit. I mean, like, entertainment stuff, like comedy, but I can mix that into the.

• 1:28:17Speaker 05

Do you know how much it hurts when you, you beat all of us numbers-wise? You call it bullshit.

• 1:28:25Speaker 03

  It's just like.

• 1:28:25Speaker 05

I will cry myself to sleep. That's fine.

• 1:28:28Speaker 03

Not that you need to educate people for it not to be bullshit, but I feel like it, I get to learn stuff, so it feels more meaningful for me to do it. Um, so yeah, yeah, sorry. Didn't mean that, like that.

• 1:28:39Speaker 05

Because I think last time you were on the podcast, though, I think we were, yeah, I know she meant it. I think last year, last time we were on.

• 1:28:48Speaker 05

You were talking about how much you were hoping to expand into like your long form stuff.

• 1:28:51Speaker 03

  Yeah.

• 1:28:52Speaker 05

And I've been glad to see it's going well.

• 1:28:53Speaker 03

Yes, yeah, it's been going really well. It's been going really well. And I've been doing like more traditional stuff too with um, I shot a movie in July and we did post-production and we did post-production in like two and a half months and then we.

• 1:29:08Speaker 05

  That's really fast.

• 1:29:09Speaker 03

  Yeah, it is.

• 1:29:10Speaker 05

  How long is the runtime?

• 1:29:11Speaker 03

  Too fast. Sorry?

• 1:29:12Speaker 05

  How long's the runtime?

• 1:29:13Speaker 03

  Seventy-seven minutes.

• 1:29:14Speaker 05

  Oh shit, that's really fast.

• 1:29:15Speaker 03

It's a feature, it's a feature, yeah. So, and we did it all ourselves and then we went on tour with it. Um, we did like six screenings around the states. And then, uh, yeah, it got really good response and now we're just in the distribution phase of it. So hopefully it'll be distributed soon.

• 1:29:30Speaker 05

I'm really irritated by people that like go through all that effort to make a movie and then go on tour with it to several places. It's just really.

• 1:29:38Speaker 03

  I know, right?

• 1:29:39Speaker 05

It's a lame kind of thing to do, man.

• 1:29:41Speaker 01

  Taking a podcast maybe.

• 1:29:45Speaker 05

  It's the gayest thing possible.

• 1:29:47Speaker 01

  It's awful, it's terrible.

• 1:29:50Speaker 04

Two and a month turnaround is cra- movies are an endeavor. I don't think people realize that level of endeavor. Cause when you're like, oh, we'll just do quick skits or funny. Insert. When you're scripting, shot listing, Bach doing like you, it is time.

• 1:30:05Speaker 03

  Yeah.

• 1:30:06Speaker 04

You're looking at a, a good day, maybe

• 1:30:10Speaker 04

  six pages, three to six.

• 1:30:12Speaker 03

The nice thing with what I did and what, why it went so fast or why we could do it so fast and this is the reason why I wanted to do it was because it was found footage. And I wrote it, I wrote it, um, about around this time last year.

• 1:30:25Speaker 04

  What's it called?

• 1:30:26Speaker 03

And then we kind of kept, uh, sorry?

• 1:30:27Speaker 04

  What's it called?

• 1:30:28Speaker 03

It's called House on Eden. Yeah, I have a, I have a trailer for it on my, on my YouTube.

• 1:30:32Speaker 05

It's called Billy Goat Bow Hunt.

• 1:30:35Speaker 03

  Look up that too, Roger.

• 1:30:39Speaker 01

  Oh, sorry.

• 1:30:42Speaker 06

  Yeah.

• 1:30:43Speaker 03

That's just a really fun video.

• 1:30:45Speaker 06

  That was an intrusive thought.

• 1:30:46Speaker 04

  Just pull that down.

• 1:30:48Speaker 03

  You should look that up.

• 1:30:49Speaker 05

Cringe, I feel like is almost harder, like to not come off like cringe, like it's kind of hard.

• 1:30:54Speaker 03

Oh, yeah, it was. Yeah, so that was the, uh, but the whole thing with me not wanting it to be cringe and with it. I was, I was the writer and director and one of the main cast members as well and, and producer. I just wanted to wear all the hats and just see. Um, but I didn't write a concrete script. I just wrote beats, kind of like how Blair Witch did. They just wrote, okay, this needs to go to this place. This needs to go to this place. Do that. So we just took like a bunch of takes, tried to be as organic as possible, knowing where it would go.

• 1:31:22Speaker 05

Yeah. And I feel like as a creator, you already know those beats.

• 1:31:24Speaker 03

Exactly. Exactly. Yeah. So I wrote a whole, like I wrote it all out and we, I mean, had discussions between, it was just me and two other people, basically. Um, and then we would wake up and then we would, uh, we would shoot, usually all afternoon, all night, and then we wake up the next morning, cut whatever we shot. So we shot it in seven days. So we, we cut it and shot it in seven days.

• 1:31:46Speaker 05

  Is it all one location?

• 1:31:47Speaker 03

  No, it's multiple locations.

• 1:31:48Speaker 05

  Oh, shit. That's harder too.

• 1:31:49Speaker 03

Yeah. Yeah, it was multiple locations too, so.

• 1:31:51Speaker 04

Writing on the fly when you have beats, uh, it's how Gladiator was done. Most people don't know.

• 1:31:56Speaker 03

Yeah, yeah, that's true. That's true. Yeah.

• 1:31:59Speaker 00

• 1:32:28Speaker 04

Yeah, Gladiator was a completely different script and how it was written, everything was done on the fly.

• 1:32:34Speaker 03

Yeah, they changed it on the fly. Yeah.

• 1:32:35Speaker 04

  Interesting. Wow.

• 1:32:36Speaker 03

  Yeah.

• 1:32:37Speaker 04

It's wild when you find it like.

• 1:32:39Speaker 05

  The Gladiator, the first one.

• 1:32:40Speaker 03

  Yes, Little Crow.

• 1:32:41Speaker 04

Like when they're whittling those little, uh, the figures and he bears them at the end. He's like, that was, oh, oh, we can close it out with that. Everything was done on the fly. Like they had it two storylines and like, eh, and then they went in and done everything else. On the fly.

• 1:32:56Speaker 03

Yeah, it's not the Gladiator. It's not Gladiator by any means.

• 1:33:01Speaker 03

But some inspiration from stuff like that. Like I was just like, I knew how it would end. I had like a few different endings and we kind of just, we had a couple of different ones and we went with a specific one after we cut it and edited it and we sent it off to like there, we did a lot of practical effects. It's horror. Um, but some BFX. So, once it came back.

• 1:33:18Speaker 04

  But you did practical.

• 1:33:19Speaker 03

Oh yeah, I love practical. We have some really cool prosthetics.

• 1:33:22Speaker 04

  The thing?

• 1:33:22Speaker 03

But Creature Kid made us some prosthetics. So.

• 1:33:26Speaker 05

So we so far compared it to, uh, John Carpenter Gladiator, like.

• 1:33:30Speaker 04

Dude, she's the least I know I eat.

• 1:33:37Speaker 03

  It's not that good.

• 1:33:39Speaker 04

  There's a big worm.

• 1:33:40Speaker 01

She said on the record, it's that good.

• 1:33:42Speaker 04

There's a big worm in it.

• 1:33:43Speaker 01

There's a big worm. And Timothy Chalamet.

• 1:33:45Speaker 05

  Four Oscars?

• 1:33:46Speaker 03

  Yeah, I think so.

• 1:33:49Speaker 04

  I hosted the party.

• 1:33:52The Fat Electrician?

I've known both of you for a while, but I had no idea like all the shit that you guys were into and I could probably say you're the most creative couple I've ever ran into and it's insane. You know how like when two ugly people have a really hot kid? Your, your kid's gonna be like an accountant.

• 1:34:11Speaker 03

It'll be the next president of the world.

• 1:34:13The Fat Electrician?

What is like the, what is, what is the average day like? I just imagine you two wake up.

• 1:34:19Speaker 01

  It's gonna be boring.

• 1:34:20Speaker 05

  Awesome. Don't reproduce.

• 1:34:23Speaker 01

Which was a small one too. You've never seen a really hot kid.

• 1:34:26Speaker 05

I know, I was like, where is this going? That's the doctor disrespecting.

• 1:34:34Speaker 05

  Jesus Christ.

• 1:34:35The Fat Electrician?

  Learning social skills today.

• 1:34:37Speaker 01

  No, it's good.

• 1:34:38The Fat Electrician?

  He's in an ABA class.

• 1:34:39Speaker 05

I'm not, I'm not the worst this time.

• 1:34:42Speaker 01

I want to see the movie so bad, but she wouldn't let me watch it early. So I guess I have to wait.

• 1:34:46Speaker 03

I will not watch it in front of you, dude.

• 1:34:49Speaker 05

Is it, so is it, is it finished now?

• 1:34:51Speaker 03

Yeah, yeah, it's fully finished. Yeah.

• 1:34:52Speaker 05

How are you planning to distribute it?

• 1:34:54Speaker 03

Uh, so right now, we're talking to a couple of different distributors. One is like, one is Shudder, if you know what Shudder is.

• 1:34:59Speaker 05

  Yeah.

• 1:35:00Speaker 03

Um, so they're wanting to buy it, but all them are really predatory and like, so there's a chance I'm. I might just self distribute it, not to YouTube, but maybe in like, you know.

• 1:35:10Speaker 05

I mean, kind of like Andrew Schultz did with his one comedy.

• 1:35:12Speaker 03

Exactly. Yeah, exactly. Potentially. It'd be cool to have it live on a, on a streaming service or something, but we'll see.

• 1:35:19Speaker 04

Rocket Jim, I can put you in contact with Fred. They've done, they're doing that again. They just did that and they're about to do it again.

• 1:35:25Speaker 03

  Oh, cool.

• 1:35:25Speaker 04

Uh, Freddie Wong, the old YouTube people back in the day, um, he's still doing, he's doing an action kung fu flick right now. I'm super excited because Freddie is now forty, but he's finally doing a Jackie Chan role.

• 1:35:37Speaker 03

  Cool.

• 1:35:38Speaker 04

And he's doing all the stunts and myself and his, he's actually training, training for it. I'm like, oh, this is awesome. But um, if you need help with that, they just did it again. They, they.

• 1:35:47Speaker 03

  Sure.

• 1:35:48Speaker 04

They have that world down to, because predatory.

• 1:35:51Speaker 03

  Oh, yeah.

• 1:35:52Speaker 04

  Agencies are great.

• 1:35:53Speaker 03

Yeah, yeah. Thank God for lawyers, but still.

• 1:35:55Speaker 05

It's also something like you've poured so much time and effort into it. It's like, I want it to be able to be seen by the casual audience.

• 1:36:01Speaker 03

  Exactly.

• 1:36:02Speaker 05

Like, I want somebody to be able to fire up their, you know, Roku and.

• 1:36:05Speaker 03

Yeah, I want it to be accessible. Yeah, like, so that would, that would be ideal. But at the end of the day, I really just wanted to see if I could just make a movie. And I did, and I'm like.

• 1:36:13Speaker 05

  Are you happy with it?

• 1:36:13Speaker 03

It's cool. Yeah. I mean, I've seen it a thousand times. I hate that movie now. I hate it. No, seriously. I can't, and watching yourself, like, I, I can't watch my own YouTube videos, let alone every take of me for seventy seven minutes.

• 1:36:27Speaker 05

My favorite thing to do is be at a party and put up one of his videos.

• 1:36:29Speaker 03

  Oh, it's awful.

• 1:36:31Speaker 05

It's like, no, I, I just saw this really cool Nick video.

• 1:36:33Speaker 03

  Yeah.

• 1:36:34The Fat Electrician?

Well, it was different when I was like new to the friend group and not very big yet. And you were just like, oh, you don't know Fat Electrician? Here, let me play his greatest hits on fucking repeat.

• 1:36:42Speaker 05

I have a video of you in Utah.

• 1:36:44The Fat Electrician?

  Yeah, I remember.

• 1:36:46Speaker 05

Him, him on the smart TV, like his, like most recent video, because I like your content. You make good stuff. But he's just sitting there like,

• 1:36:54Speaker 05

in a chair on the left side and just like zooming in.

• 1:36:58Speaker 06

Yeah, I can't stand, I can't stand hearing my own voice.

• 1:37:00Speaker 03

  No.

• 1:37:01The Fat Electrician?

Does anyone watch your own content?

• 1:37:02Speaker 06

  No.

• 1:37:03Speaker 01

  I do.

• 1:37:03Speaker 03

  No.

• 1:37:04Speaker 05

  I, I.

• 1:37:05Speaker 03

I mean, I watch it before it goes out.

• 1:37:06Speaker 01

I'm sorry, I'm not, I'm not kidding. I watch it. I'll watch it, I'll watch it back. Yeah.

• 1:37:10Speaker 06

  We watch it back. Yeah.

• 1:37:11Speaker 01

No, like, I mean, like, I will be like idol and then like, oh, here's a video I did from a year ago. How did I sound then? What was that like?

• 1:37:19Speaker 06

  Oh, that's fair. Yeah.

• 1:37:19Speaker 05

  I don't do that. That's fair. Yeah.

• 1:37:21Speaker 06

It's too critical. I would never do that.

• 1:37:22Speaker 01

See, it's the weird flip because I will never read comments, but I will listen to myself and analyze my own stuff.

• 1:37:27Speaker 03

  Interesting.

• 1:37:27Speaker 05

You know better than everyone else.

• 1:37:29Speaker 03

Yeah, I was gonna say, there's some psychological thing that's uh.

• 1:37:32Speaker 05

  Do you masturbate?

• 1:37:34Speaker 03

  In the mirror?

• 1:37:35Speaker 05

  Like in general, or like?

• 1:37:36Speaker 06

Just, you know, Freudian, do you, are you the subject?

• 1:37:39Speaker 05

  Only if I'm crying.

• 1:37:40Speaker 06

  Okay.

• 1:37:41Speaker 03

  Got it.

• 1:37:43Speaker 05

I'll, I'll watch my stuff like in a critical mind where I'm like, all right, what did I fuck up? And what could I do better? I hate watching it in front of people.

• 1:37:50Speaker 03

  Yes.

• 1:37:50Speaker 05

And which is why, that's very funny to me, but.

• 1:37:53Speaker 04

  I hate this. Suffer.

• 1:37:56The Fat Electrician?

Yeah. You know what I don't like? This, I should do it to other people.

• 1:38:02Speaker 03

Yeah, you know, it's awful, like being in the theater of people and me being in the middle of the theater, watching myself. I'm like, I want to leave so bad, but I needed to hear the reactions because I needed to know what they thought of the movie.

• 1:38:12Speaker 05

At least you're not in a social setting, like at least you're not like in a living room.

• 1:38:16Speaker 03

Yeah, exactly. Yeah, I couldn't stand, but it's still, yeah, it was, it was still very strange. And I'm also like, it's funny because I'm me in the movie, but I'm also not like I, I am acting in the movie. And I'm just not myself in like the worst way. So like, maybe people are like, will think I'm like this. I don't want to give too much away.

• 1:38:33Speaker 05

  You're still playing a character.

• 1:38:34Speaker 03

Yes, exactly. But it'll be hard for, because I wanted it to transition from seems like a YouTube video, but goes completely haywire. And it's clearly a movie. So I wanted to break, I wanted, yeah, I wanted to break that. So people, people will be like fully in it, especially my audience. So, but then people who are watching it that don't know who I am will still.

• 1:38:54Speaker 04

Hasn't really been done that much.

• 1:38:58Speaker 03

That concept, I'm not sure if that's ever really been.

• 1:39:02Speaker 04

That's a really good fucking concept.

• 1:39:04Speaker 03

Thanks, thanks. I, I was like, this could shoot me in the back, but I don't know, we'll see.

• 1:39:08Speaker 05

Good fucking concept. How was it for you, like in your, your theater tour where, because I know you weren't as heavily involved, like you were in the movie for like maybe 20 seconds.

• 1:39:17Speaker 01

Yeah, I did, I was, I wrote it, I co-wrote it with Evan.

• 1:39:20Speaker 05

So how was it watching the reactions, I guess?

• 1:39:22Speaker 01

Uh, I loved it. Cause all the time I would like sit in the back, because each show is like, oh, you can go to the green room. It's like, no. Uh, and I would like sit in the back of the theater and when like big moments would happen, I would like watch people. Like the scene, uh, the movie's out now, the hive reveal. Like the tendrils down and stuff. Every theater would be like, okay, what's everyone going to do? And then every theater, people were like, and I was like, yes.

• 1:39:43Speaker 03

  Yeah, that's awesome.

• 1:39:44Speaker 05

  That reveal?

• 1:39:45Speaker 03

That's a cool feeling, that is a cool feeling.

• 1:39:47Speaker 05

How long did that CGI shot take?

• 1:39:48Speaker 01

Uh, gosh, oh my gosh, dude, not, not.

• 1:39:51Speaker 05

That was the come shot of the movie.

• 1:39:53Speaker 01

Okay, so that took, thank you, that took.

• 1:39:57Speaker 05

  I like it.

• 1:39:59Speaker 01

That was one of our first things we came up with.

• 1:40:01Speaker 05

  Hollywood comes with that.

• 1:40:02Speaker 01

We need an indie vent. We need a place that this map ends at. So that was kind of our monster. And we knew it was going to be like a special effects. So I was like nervous about it the whole time. Our special effects guy, Majid, like took budget cuts, worked way longer than he should have. He really came through for us. He worked on that shot alone for at least a couple of months. Built the whole thing out inside of a render, like a render farm. And then he took people's heads modeled. I'm actually one of the heads. I think that was modeled and like.

• 1:40:34Speaker 05

  No shit.

• 1:40:34Speaker 01

Yeah, like did a bunch of different heads on it and then had it move like tendrils coming down that the bottom of it's the pilot. Who was hooked up into it and his skeleton's in there because he's been rotting away. But the machine's still on and stuff. It took months to build that out. But oh my gosh, I was so happy with how it looked in the end.

• 1:40:50Speaker 05

It was so well done. I would, I would love to put this praise on your movie, but you haven't let us see it yet.

• 1:40:54Speaker 01

  Yeah, me too. So.

• 1:40:55Speaker 03

  Let's play it right now.

• 1:40:56Speaker 04

  Chase, pull it up.

• 1:40:57Speaker 03

Just kidding. No, no, thanks. Seventy seven minutes.

• 1:41:02Speaker 05

This is great. We love it.

• 1:41:04Speaker 04

  I'll give you the C P O.

• 1:41:05Speaker 05

Shane, that's called a copyright claim.

• 1:41:07Speaker 03

  Yeah.

• 1:41:08Speaker 05

Yeah, she's like, my podcast now.

• 1:41:11Speaker 04

We posted it first. YouTube thinks we own it.

• 1:41:13Speaker 05

  Yeah, there you go.

• 1:41:16Speaker 01

She, uh, she was telling me something about the script. Again, I still haven't seen the movie, but she was telling me some about the script. Just like some of the character arcs theme she's working with and stuff like that. And I'm stoked to see it because it's very creative. It's very cool. Like she didn't, the movie is not just about the concept she mentioned. The concept she mentioned is the framework for a very interesting story. Uh, with like cool themes that pull from a lot of different aspects of like horror culture and stuff. So.

• 1:41:42Speaker 03

  Yeah.

• 1:41:43Speaker 01

Everything she's told me about it's spectacular.

• 1:41:45Speaker 03

  Appreciate it, man. Yeah, there's.

• 1:41:46Speaker 01

This is the only frame I'll be nice to you.

• 1:41:47Speaker 03

Yeah, I, I was like, this is happening. I'm glad it's recording. No, I appreciate that. Yeah.

• 1:41:53Speaker 04

  TikTok crushed it.

• 1:41:54Speaker 03

  Yeah.

• 1:41:55Speaker 04

  She's a great director.

• 1:41:56Speaker 01

  Good job, TikTok.

• 1:41:57Speaker 03

She's all right. She's all right. Yeah, no, it's basically just a nod to all my favorite horror movies too. Like it's nothing new necessarily.

• 1:42:04Speaker 04

  I need a top three.

• 1:42:05Speaker 03

  But.

• 1:42:06Speaker 05

  Oh, top three horror?

• 1:42:07Speaker 04

  Yeah.

• 1:42:08Speaker 03

Oh, I have no idea. But I'll, I'll say the horror movies that like it gives nods to. There's like 15, but a couple of them are, um, like hereditary, um.

• 1:42:20Speaker 03

Uh, the thing with like the prosthetic stuff, um, and probably like, maybe like shot wise, uh,

• 1:42:27Speaker 06

  Billy Goat Bohun?

• 1:42:28Speaker 03

The Shining or like Midsommar, the what?

• 1:42:31Speaker 06

  I said Billy Goat Bohun.

• 1:42:35Speaker 03

He says all these things and he says Billy Goat Bohun twice. I'm sorry.

• 1:42:44Speaker 05

Sorry, sorry babe, I said the thing.

• 1:42:47Speaker 06

She's got excellent taste in, in movies and film.

• 1:42:49Speaker 04

Dude, those three are like, except if you're even watching it, Hereditary, one of the most terrifying mind fucks of a movie in the last ever period.

• 1:42:57Speaker 03

  Yeah.

• 1:42:58Speaker 05

That was one of the only movies I think I've ever like, as an adult said like out loud, like, oh, fuck.

• 1:43:02Speaker 03

Yeah, and The Witch also. That's a, yeah, and, yeah, so, and that's all like, either it's like a shot, either it's a, a line delivery or a, like, so it's all just, there's a little Easter eggs through it. And then it's all based off of like loose, um, like biblical folklore or Jewish folklore. That's like, it's, yeah, there's a lot of lore to it as well.

• 1:43:24Speaker 05

I'm just looking at how autistic everyone at the table is. Like you are balancing

• 1:43:28Speaker 03

  Yeah.

• 1:43:28Speaker 05

That eight, six round in between your little phone holder. You are under the tip. Don't even pretend like you weren't doing it. Had the little fucking spike from your Starbucks cup that you were currently putting through your wedding band, playing with, like, shut up. We're in good company.

• 1:43:43Speaker 03

  Yeah. Good company. Yep.

• 1:43:46Speaker 04

  Table puzzle pieces.

• 1:43:48Speaker 06

  Yeah.

• 1:43:49Speaker 04

I'm lining my drinks up. Yeah, I'm lining my drinks up per usual. Like this is out of order. This is, will always be on the straight line, by the way.

• 1:43:57Speaker 05

  That is so symmetrical.

• 1:43:58Speaker 04

Yeah, I will always have it on the fucking straight line. Ah, we're in good.

• 1:44:03Speaker 05

  Why, why are we broken?

• 1:44:04Speaker 04

We're in good company right now.

• 1:44:08Speaker 04

Dude, that is amazing. Again, fucking.

• 1:44:11Speaker 03

  Yeah, no, it's fine.

• 1:44:12Speaker 04

Congrats to that. I, when does it come out?

• 1:44:15Speaker 03

  Uh, I don't know yet. It's we're, I'm, I'm.

• 1:44:17Speaker 04

How long do you think the contracts are gonna take? Or do you have a timeframe at all?

• 1:44:20Speaker 03

Well, if I, if I do it myself, weeks from now, weeks from now, probably. Cause I want it out as soon as possible. Cause I'm tired of waiting. Like that's a struggle with YouTube is that we can make something and then post it like the next day. Whereas the movie, it's like, if I go with Shudder, then they're like, oh, we can like put it in festivals and then it can come out in like the spring. And I'm like, that sucks. Like just get it out now.

• 1:44:41Speaker 05

The festival things, yeah, that seems just kinda weird.

• 1:44:44Speaker 03

For me, it wouldn't, it's kinda, I mean, it's, I get it, but since I have an audience already, it doesn't.

• 1:44:50Speaker 05

  For sure.

• 1:44:50Speaker 03

  Necessarily make sense, so.

• 1:44:52Speaker 05

Yeah, if you have like an independent studio or something, but for you, you already have so many people willing to watch.

• 1:44:55Speaker 03

Exactly, exactly. So we'll see, we'll see. Keep you posted, keep you posted.

• 1:45:00Speaker 05

I'm excited. I'm excited for that.

• 1:45:01Speaker 03

  Thanks, man.

• 1:45:03Speaker 04

With your new content, what is one of the most fucked up stories where you're like, what?

• 1:45:06Speaker 05

  Oh, God.

• 1:45:07Speaker 04

The ever living. Cause you're going like Green River Killer lately. You're doing like.

• 1:45:11Speaker 03

  Yeah.

• 1:45:11Speaker 04

  The top female serial killers.

• 1:45:12Speaker 03

  Yeah.

• 1:45:13Speaker 04

All these deep, and I've been, like, I went to, uh, the one semester of community college I did was at Green River Community College.

• 1:45:21Speaker 03

  Oh, really?

• 1:45:22Speaker 04

  Yeah.

• 1:45:22Speaker 03

  Interesting.

• 1:45:23Speaker 04

  Yeah.

• 1:45:24Speaker 03

  Interesting.

• 1:45:25Speaker 04

So I knew all that lore. I was like, oh, that's right there.

• 1:45:28Speaker 03

I mean, it's all fucked up, but I'd say like one that, uh, or I was just talking to Isaiah about this last night is the, the, one of the most recent ones, the JonBenet one. It's like the ones where.

• 1:45:38Speaker 04

  I don't know that one.

• 1:45:39Speaker 03

There's so much controversy around it and so much conspiracy, but it's so obvious.

• 1:45:44Speaker 01

  He doesn't know that one.

• 1:45:45Speaker 03

You, yeah, that's, that's interesting. So do you know JonBenet Ramsey?

• 1:45:48Speaker 04

  Yes, the little, oh, yeah.

• 1:45:49Speaker 03

  Nineteen ninety six.

• 1:45:50Speaker 04

  Plagued my childhood.

• 1:45:51Speaker 03

  Yeah, nineteen ninety six.

• 1:45:52Speaker 05

  I have no idea.

• 1:45:53Speaker 03

  Little girl, little girl.

• 1:45:55Speaker 01

Break it down for us, call me Chris.

• 1:45:56Speaker 05

Nineteen ninety six, yeah. I was a year old.

• 1:45:58Speaker 04

  Yeah.

• 1:45:59Speaker 05

  So.

• 1:46:00Speaker 04

Everyone here would, God, I'm old.

• 1:46:02Speaker 03

So it was, it was nineteen ninety six, December.

• 1:46:08Speaker 03

Very affluent family in California. They had a daughter, very, very, uh, very beautiful little girl who was in pageants and everything. And again, very affluent family. And then one day, uh, she got, or sorry, she got kidnapped. And then, um, the, the parents were looking for her and then she ended up getting found in her home when the police came over because there was a ransom note left by the people that kidnapped her. And then they ended up finding the little girl in the parents basement killed. Um, so it was all like, did the kidnappers kill him? And did they write the ransom note? But then the ransom note was written on the mother's,

• 1:46:49Speaker 03

uh, notebook with, with her pen with very similar writing to the mom's handwriting and

• 1:46:56Speaker 05

So it's like a darker balloon boy kind of thing?

• 1:46:59Speaker 03

It's, yeah, it's crazy. And then the amount, like the amount of ransom, which was $118,000, was the bonus that the husband had got like a month earlier. Like, it's all very strange. And then she has a brother who had outbursts and he was like the last one. So there's like, so there's a bunch of conspiracy. Nobody ever got charged for it is the point. So the family

• 1:47:21Speaker 05

  So there's a dead child?

• 1:47:25Speaker 03

There's a dead child. Nobody got charged.

• 1:47:27Speaker 01

Well, there was never, I'm sorry.

• 1:47:29Speaker 03

Yeah, yeah, yeah. No, no, no, no, you can.

• 1:47:32Speaker 01

  There was never.

• 1:47:33Speaker 05

Oh my God, a crossover episode?

• 1:47:34Speaker 03

  Yeah.

• 1:47:35Speaker 01

All of this came like out over the course of a long period of time. Because initially it was police get a phone call, parents freaked out, our daughter's been kidnapped, here's a ransom note, they start an investigation. Uh, in the basement of the house, the police find a locked door. The dad found, yeah, sorry, the dad found locked door. They open up the door, daughter's been tied up.

• 1:47:57Speaker 03

The dad finds the daughter and picks her up and brings her upstairs. So she taints the whole crime scene.

• 1:48:05Speaker 04

  Finds a locked door?

• 1:48:06Speaker 03

Uh, so, yeah, so the, the basement door was locked from the inside. There's no other way to get into that basement besides this one window that has been broken, but that window was broken weeks and weeks before, which the dad knew about. But the window, weeks before this all happened, which he told the police about. But also, the window had like cobwebs all over it and dust all over it. So if there is somebody, a kidnapper that came in, that would have been not there.

• 1:48:30Speaker 01

The, the idea is, at least initially, that a killer kidnapped the girl, either like was going to tie her up or get her back later, at some point, the girl accidentally died. Killer panics, leaves the body in the basement, locks the door behind him, crawls out the window. There's like footsteps leading away to right through the snow.

• 1:48:50Speaker 03

There was a suitcase. No, there was no, there wasn't any footsteps.

• 1:48:53Speaker 01

I, I, I mean, I mean, not to say the person who might have done it. It was like Poe.

• 1:48:58Speaker 03

  Yes.

• 1:48:58Speaker 01

Right? That was the idea. Yeah, yeah, yeah.

• 1:48:59Speaker 03

And then there was a suitcase under the window to make it look like somebody got up.

• 1:49:03Speaker 05

  Stepped up. Yeah.

• 1:49:04Speaker 04

And this is, just for reference, this is like national news, like 11 year old Eli.

• 1:49:08Speaker 03

A Netflix documentary just came out about it again. Like, there's been so many documentaries about it.

• 1:49:13Speaker 04

Not, this is just based off of when I was growing up. I can remember a picture of the window, newspapers, everything. This is like everyone knew about.

• 1:49:22Speaker 01

So officially, the narrative was, okay, this girl's been kidnapped, we have to find who, or was an attempted kidnapping, we have to find who killed her. And then information starts getting kind of wonky and investigators kind of start looking towards the family and stuff. But there's never enough to make that, to publicly make that assumption, right? It's always just kind of fishy, the details around it. So no one ever got charged because there's never enough evidence that way. And even then, even if you look at that evidence and think that the family was culpable in some way, it's still not like they definitely did it. It's still like, well, maybe they covered up something else that happened, maybe, or maybe they.

• 1:50:04Speaker 03

  It's just so many theories.

• 1:50:05Speaker 05

You said a Netflix documentary just came out?

• 1:50:08Speaker 03

  Yeah, yeah, that's why.

• 1:50:09Speaker 05

That actually, that brings me to something I also really wanted to talk about with you guys. I, I was, I was having this conversation with somebody and I don't know where I sit on it. But I'm starting to think that like, maybe Netflix has too much power with some of these things because of the, the Menendez brothers series that just came out. Cause it's like, man, the court of public opinion is now completely controlled by Netflix.

• 1:50:31Speaker 03

  Yeah.

• 1:50:31Speaker 05

Where it's like, the way that they present the information, like they try to be balanced. I kind of see that. But my god, like different cases like this can be swayed so much to the degree that they're now getting another hearing.

• 1:50:40Speaker 04

Balance. What's crazy is when you find, I thought because I never read about it and then I was like, oh, I'll watch that. I was like, man, these guys got railroaded. Fucked over.

• 1:50:50Speaker 05

  And then you read it.

• 1:50:50Speaker 04

And then you're like, and they're, they, it's weird because it is like, how did they get to that point where they're like, this is what we need to do? Was it that side? But then it is also like.

• 1:51:02Speaker 03

Yeah. It's just so much speculation. It's just, it's, yeah, it's, yeah, cause Netflix, I did like the, here's the Menendez documentary and here's like all the research and like, like everything involved, like actually, and they didn't match really that well. That was like the whole thing is the narrative was pushed towards the, the sons being victims, which maybe they are, like, I don't know. And I can't say I know. I can just present information.

• 1:51:26Speaker 04

It's a better story for sure.

• 1:51:28Speaker 03

It's better story and that's why it's on Netflix as a, as a limited series. And same as the JonBenet thing, they pushed the narrative of sympathy towards the parents rather than like the public is like very against the parents usually, which I'm not either way. I'm again, I'm just like, here's the information. That's pretty weird. Think what you want with that. That's all I can say about it.

• 1:51:49Speaker 04

Menendez brothers were even, they, they said, it's like, well, I didn't, we didn't touch each other or anything. And they're like, that's them. Like, no, that could trade us wrong.

• 1:51:58Speaker 05

When the, the Netflix documentary came out and the one guy was like, why did you devote 60 minutes to saying I was gay?

• 1:52:07Speaker 04

I'm, I'm not dude. Also amazing shot. That push in, don't care, out of everything, out of cinema.

• 1:52:14Speaker 05

  That was amazing.

• 1:52:15Speaker 04

One take, you, you even were like, bro.

• 1:52:17Speaker 03

  Yeah.

• 1:52:18Speaker 04

It's like, they had a one hour. It was forty minutes?

• 1:52:22Speaker 05

It was like thirty, forty minutes, something like that.

• 1:52:24Speaker 04

Single take. Have you seen that? Oh, I've not. It's a one hour.

• 1:52:27Speaker 05

It's like a prison interview kind of thing. And it's like, it's all acting, but like it is one singular slow push in.

• 1:52:33Speaker 03

  Yeah.

• 1:52:33Speaker 05

  Between two characters.

• 1:52:34Speaker 04

  There's no cut.

• 1:52:35Speaker 03

  I love that.

• 1:52:36Speaker 05

  And it's not boring.

• 1:52:37Speaker 03

We were just watching a movie where it, or we were watching Midnight Mass. And they do a lot of that. And I'm like, I love the one takes. They can be so much pleasure. I love it.

• 1:52:46Speaker 01

Such cinematic masturbation, but it's so good.

• 1:52:48Speaker 03

Yeah, yeah, no, the great show like without the whole case, the Menendez show is actually pretty good. Yeah.

• 1:52:54Speaker 04

What was the one movie with the the long one take? I think you haven't watched it yet.

• 1:52:58Speaker 01

  Um, which one?

• 1:52:59Speaker 04

  Action sequence.

• 1:53:00Speaker 01

  Nineteen seventeen?

• 1:53:01Speaker 03

  Yeah, nineteen seventeen had one.

• 1:53:02Speaker 04

That is a great movie with amazing like hidden cuts, but it was the um where children aren't being born anymore.

• 1:53:09Speaker 01

Oh, uh, uh, uh, Children of Men, Children of Men, yeah.

• 1:53:13Speaker 04

  That one take is.

• 1:53:14Speaker 01

The talk about in the car when the shoot happens and the the cameras rotating the whole time during the car chase.

• 1:53:20Speaker 04

Well, no, when he walk in walks into the restaurant and then that.

• 1:53:23Speaker 01

Oh, that one where the bomb goes off?

• 1:53:26Speaker 04

  Yeah.

• 1:53:26Speaker 03

Oh, I haven't seen that. I'll have to watch that.

• 1:53:27Speaker 01

Incredible film. Oh, my gosh. Children of Men's an all timer. The sit not to spoil it for them, but the scene at the end holding up the.

• 1:53:34Speaker 04

  Oh, dude.

• 1:53:34Speaker 03

  Yeah.

• 1:53:35Speaker 01

  Ah, ah.

• 1:53:36Speaker 04

It is a practical effect. These are practical explosions. It's like a fifteen minute one take.

• 1:53:41Speaker 01

Who's who's the lead in it? Is it Colin Farrell?

• 1:53:43Speaker 04

No, Clive, Clive, Clive. Clive Bundy, yep.

• 1:53:49Speaker 06

  Goat.

• 1:53:51Speaker 06

Clive Bundy, the Billy Goat Ranch. Didn't he get in a standoff with the federal government?

• 1:53:56Speaker 01

I believe he did. Twenty twelve, yeah.

• 1:53:58Speaker 06

  Sorry, I just, yeah.

• 1:53:59Speaker 04

  Go on about that.

• 1:54:02Speaker 04

I'm intrigued about this standoff with the federal government. Have you met her?

• 1:54:07Speaker 01

What is it? Google the Billy Paul Bundy Ranch?

• 1:54:10Speaker 06

Google Clive Bundy Billy Goat Bo Hunt.

• 1:54:15Speaker 06

Make sure you put a comma.

• 1:54:16Speaker 04

  Clive Owen.

• 1:54:17Speaker 06

Clive Owen, yeah, sorry, I derailed that.

• 1:54:19Speaker 04

I was like, wait, now I have to figure that.

• 1:54:21Speaker 01

And what's his face? Michael Caine's in it and stuff like that.

• 1:54:24Speaker 03

  Michael Caine.

• 1:54:25Speaker 04

Michael Caine. Batman don't man limits Mr. Wayne.

• 1:54:29Speaker 05

Master Wayne, I know why people go out at night wearing black leather. I do not approve, Master Wayne.

• 1:54:38Speaker 01

  God, I love my friends.

• 1:54:40Speaker 05

  We're all retarded.

• 1:54:41Speaker 01

  Everyone's retarded at this table.

• 1:54:45Speaker 05

I just thought, I thought that was kind of an interesting tangent because it's like, you have like, you have Netflix documentaries that like portray the actual facts and then you have the, what makes for a good cinematic experience?

• 1:54:54Speaker 03

  Yeah.

• 1:54:55Speaker 05

And it's not always the same thing, which is a little scary when it's like, that's enough to push the, the, the public perception to a degree where these people are getting another hearing.

• 1:55:02Speaker 03

  Yeah. Oh, yeah, it's crazy.

• 1:55:05Speaker 05

It's not, it's not for me to say that that's a wrong, but like-

• 1:55:08Speaker 01

It's a weird line because it's like, there's been times in the past where people have been exonerated because of information that's been pushed out by just people in the past, right?

• 1:55:16Speaker 05

  Yeah.

• 1:55:18Speaker 01

Like USS Indianapolis, the captain forever was blamed for, this is up your wheelhouse, captain was blamed forever for the, McVeigh, Captain McVeigh, was blamed for the sinking of the boat. And then it started with a seventh graders' science project about how like the ship couldn't have like dodged the torpedoes. And then that started to work its way up in the national news. They like Navy looked at it again and then exonerated the memory of McVeigh.

• 1:55:47Speaker 04

I love how seventh graders can do it.

• 1:55:50Speaker 01

  And one of the people-

• 1:55:51Speaker 04

  Military.

• 1:55:51Speaker 01

One of the people who came forward-

• 1:55:55Speaker 05

  He's guilty.

• 1:55:57Speaker 01

One of the people who came forward to exonerate him in the hearings that followed was the Japanese submarine captain who fired the missiles.

• 1:56:06Speaker 05

You know, I think I did hear some of that.

• 1:56:08Speaker 01

Came forward to say that Captain McVeigh could not have dodged the missiles just based on the time that the, he, the captain fired them and that it was not the captain of the Indianapolis's fault that the ship was hit. And that was a huge testimony and getting him exonerated so much so that the surviving members of the USS Indianapolis began to invite the Japanese submarine captain to their meetings after that.

• 1:56:28Speaker 04

  That is dope.

• 1:56:29Speaker 01

I know, I know a guy who, his father, or his wife's father, was-

• 1:56:37Speaker 01

One of the people on the Indianapolis, one of the survivors and for a long time, uh, he just carried a lot of hate towards Japanese because, you know, time during the war and all that stuff. And he was like there at that trial when the Japanese captain did that and that did away with all of it.

• 1:56:54Speaker 04

It is the level of Portland was the one bombing, right? There was that one solo Japanese bomber that dropped.

• 1:57:01The Fat Electrician?

Uh, it was West Coast. I think it was Portland, the, the firebomb kites.

• 1:57:04Speaker 04

  Yeah.

• 1:57:05Speaker 01

They tried to like blow them across.

• 1:57:07The Fat Electrician?

  Yeah.

• 1:57:07Speaker 01

  Yeah.

• 1:57:08The Fat Electrician?

  Air channels.

• 1:57:09Speaker 04

Yeah. And it was a one dude though, that actually did it. And then he gave his sword. To the families. There's an actual dude in Portland or wherever that actually.

• 1:57:18Speaker 01

I thought it was when they were trying to, uh.

• 1:57:20Speaker 04

  There is the firebombs.

• 1:57:21Speaker 01

Yeah. They, they were trying to blow firebombs across wind channels to land on the West Coast. Is that the one you're?

• 1:57:25The Fat Electrician?

I think, I think is that, that's what you're talking about, right? And they like cut the government.

• 1:57:29Speaker 01

I don't think it was some dude to play.

• 1:57:30The Fat Electrician?

  Covered it up.

• 1:57:32Speaker 04

Playing Ace Imperials during the Navy. I actually think there's one dude that actually did a bombing in Portland. Or something about it. Now I look really stupid. It's great.

• 1:57:44Speaker 01

  You're doing great.

• 1:57:45The Fat Electrician?

It's like I take your son.

• 1:57:46Speaker 04

  Everyone loves it right now.

• 1:57:49Speaker 01

  You're not derailing anything.

• 1:57:51Speaker 04

One where somebody, there was a Japanese pilot that made it stateside, dropped bombs or a firebomb or did one thing. Flew back home and then he came back, apologized for it, gave his sword to the family that was injured. It was like one of the only injuries. Stateside, like actual stateside that happened, gave his sword, apologized, and now he still comes back to the United States. Like they honor him for that.

• 1:58:13Speaker 01

  Interesting.

• 1:58:14Speaker 04

Yeah. There's wild fucking World War II stories.

• 1:58:16Speaker 01

But I, I didn't mean to derail that hard, but.

• 1:58:18Speaker 04

  No, I wasn't.

• 1:58:19Speaker 01

Talking about the, uh, like exoneration, you have cases like that where it's like, oh, an individual bringing out information years later can make a difference in a good way. Then you get into the question of like, okay, well now you have these billion dollar companies that are profiteering off of certain narratives. So even though hypothetically, maybe information could be used to get good info out and exonerate people. Because there's a profit motive, they may not always do that. So.

• 1:58:45Speaker 05

Yeah. They saw that making a murderer did well. And they're like, ooh.

• 1:58:47Speaker 03

  Yes.

• 1:58:48Speaker 01

  We do that.

• 1:58:48Speaker 05

What can we make into making a.

• 1:58:50Speaker 03

  Yeah, it really stemmed.

• 1:58:51Speaker 01

  Yeah.

• 1:58:51Speaker 03

  From that.

• 1:58:51The Fat Electrician?

I wish, I wish Rich was here to get his perspective like for an actual like detective. Cause the amount of like there, you know, there's still information that hasn't been released to the public about it that like Netflix doesn't have. And it's like, well, maybe that doesn't seem weird if you had all the information that those cops had.

• 1:59:07Speaker 01

  Yeah.

• 1:59:07Speaker 03

  Yeah.

• 1:59:07The Fat Electrician?

  Yeah.

• 1:59:08Speaker 03

So. Yeah, it almost like shouldn't be allowed unless you have all the information.

• 1:59:11The Fat Electrician?

  Censorship. I have an idea.

• 1:59:14Speaker 03

  Yeah.

• 1:59:15Speaker 05

It's hard to say, cause it's like, you should be able to make whatever like media you want.

• 1:59:19Speaker 03

  Yes.

• 1:59:19Speaker 05

However, it's like, when that starts to affect things within the actual judicial system, it's like, well, this is, we're entering a weird gray area.

• 1:59:26Speaker 03

Yeah. Like you can be, you could do like the Quentin Tarantino thing with like the Hollywood movie. He did like that Manson thing, but he just went his own way with it. Like it's a movie.

• 1:59:34Speaker 01

  Yeah.

• 1:59:34Speaker 05

Yeah. Like the end of Glorious Bastards where they shoot Hitler in the face with an MP40. It's like, well, that's not quite how that happened.

• 1:59:40Speaker 03

Yeah, he's playing off of history, but making it his own. It's like, but they're like, no, this is what happened.

• 1:59:45Speaker 05

  Yeah.

• 1:59:45Speaker 03

  It's, it's a weird gray area.

• 1:59:47The Fat Electrician?

Why the towers were asking for it? Jesus.

• 1:59:54Speaker 05

I'm re, I'm making Netflix back from.

• 1:59:58Speaker 05

Look at what they were wearing.

• 2:00:00Speaker 01

  I know.

• 2:00:02Speaker 01

  But what were they wearing?

• 2:00:05Speaker 01

  No, I don't know. It's, it's a strange vibe.

• 2:00:10The Fat Electrician?

Nobu Fujita was the only Japanese aviator to bomb America like Portland.

• 2:00:15Speaker 01

  There's your video.

• 2:00:16The Fat Electrician?

  Yep.

• 2:00:16Speaker 01

  There you go.

• 2:00:17Speaker 05

If you didn't know about that.

• 2:00:18Speaker 03

  Yeah.

• 2:00:18The Fat Electrician?

  Yeah. Last history segment.

• 2:00:19Speaker 03

  Interesting.

• 2:00:21Speaker 01

  It's like, am I?

• 2:00:22Speaker 05

Write that down, write that down.

• 2:00:23Speaker 01

  Yeah, did.

• 2:00:24Speaker 05

  Got it.

• 2:00:24The Fat Electrician?

I gotta make that up in my head.

• 2:00:27Speaker 00

• 2:00:56The Fat Electrician?

  I was like.

• 2:00:56Speaker 01

We were this close to gas. But he made it up.

• 2:01:00Speaker 05

Yeah, cause in my, in my understanding, it was literally just the one firebomb. That was the only like, uh, United States, uh, civilian kills, right?

• 2:01:07The Fat Electrician?

  Yeah.

• 2:01:07Speaker 05

And they, they buried it in the newspapers?

• 2:01:09The Fat Electrician?

Yeah, they like hid it. It was like a family on a picnic that got hit by one of those manless kite bombs.

• 2:01:14Speaker 05

  Oh my god.

• 2:01:15The Fat Electrician?

  Yeah, it's horrible.

• 2:01:16Speaker 05

  That's horrible.

• 2:01:16The Fat Electrician?

  Yeah.

• 2:01:16Speaker 05

That's not funny at all. It's, uh.

• 2:01:19Speaker 06

You're, why are you being me rated?

• 2:01:21Speaker 01

Why did you leave, cut, chase, track to his camera?

• 2:01:24Speaker 05

  He's being.

• 2:01:24Speaker 01

I'm laughing and then track back to when you're still laughing.

• 2:01:30The Fat Electrician?

I think Cameron said a cut. Come back.

• 2:01:35Speaker 03

  Disgusting. Disgusting behavior.

• 2:01:40The Fat Electrician?

  What?

• 2:01:42Speaker 05

You got fucking Oop over here, can't condone it. I need my ginger.

• 2:01:47Speaker 01

  This one's you.

• 2:01:50Speaker 05

Let's just say I'm on my game today.

• 2:01:53The Fat Electrician?

  You had three hours.

• 2:01:56Speaker 01

It's a nice sunny day. You're out on a picnic. Kid's like, oh, oh, oh. And it's like, isn't it a lovely day, honey? That sun is really close.

• 2:02:07Speaker 05

I love how we're like one family. Unforgivable. Hiroshima, like the pilots of the Noah gay.

• 2:02:17Speaker 01

  Yeah, really.

• 2:02:19Speaker 05

  Yeah.

• 2:02:20Speaker 01

The, the picnic makes it so much funnier.

• 2:02:23Speaker 05

  Oh, no.

• 2:02:27Speaker 06

  Funnier is not the.

• 2:02:28Speaker 01

Cause it's, cause it's like, oh, come on, come on.

• 2:02:31The Fat Electrician?

That's the name of the episode. When you go and doubles down.

• 2:02:38Speaker 01

I will take, I will take that for a lot of people. I will not take that. You're both like this. Look, all of us are disgusting. He's laughing. Just cause the concept, because the concept of a picnic is to leave your home to go to somewhere more nice.

• 2:02:57Speaker 03

Like three days. Nobody goes on a picnic and they're not like, it's not like, hey, let's go on a picnic.

• 2:03:01Speaker 01

So you're saying you're asking for it?

• 2:03:03Speaker 03

  Like last.

• 2:03:03Speaker 01

  Well, no, it's, it's just.

• 2:03:04Speaker 05

Because they should have stayed home, is that?

• 2:03:06Speaker 03

  Horrible tur- like.

• 2:03:07The Fat Electrician?

  This porch is too hot.

• 2:03:09Speaker 03

  Serendipitous.

• 2:03:10Speaker 01

And, and by horrible, I mean, well, she says horrible, I say hilarious because the idea is we're gonna go to somewhere lovely and tranquil and they got firebombed by the Japanese.

• 2:03:23Speaker 03

  Yeah.

• 2:03:23Speaker 01

  Say thank you.

• 2:03:25Speaker 03

No, I get what you're saying. I get what you're saying.

• 2:03:28Speaker 01

There's no precedence for that. There's no like, we're gonna go out today, look out for a missile strike like.

• 2:03:34Speaker 05

And suddenly the, what the, nobody expects the Spanish Inquisition.

• 2:03:38Speaker 03

Yeah. It's like a sentence you'd never hear. It's like, one day I went on a picnic and got, got bombed.

• 2:03:43Speaker 01

  Yeah, exactly.

• 2:03:43Speaker 03

  I got you.

• 2:03:44Speaker 05

Also, it's a kite. How slow is it moving?

• 2:03:47Speaker 01

It was a kite on fire?

• 2:03:50Speaker 05

  Yeah.

• 2:03:59Speaker 01

You're trying to hold that too?

• 2:04:01Speaker 05

It was a weapon of war, Isaiah.

• 2:04:05Speaker 01

  Christie is like.

• 2:04:10Speaker 01

Religion's all that still, like, well, maybe it'll go somewhere else.

• 2:04:15Speaker 05

It's like the scene from Austin Powers.

• 2:04:19Speaker 01

  Oh, yeah.

• 2:04:23Speaker 05

He screams for three minutes straight.

• 2:04:26The Fat Electrician?

  Oh, no.

• 2:04:27Speaker 01

Wait, how big, how big was the kite?

• 2:04:31The Fat Electrician?

Big enough to carry the bomb across the ocean.

• 2:04:33Speaker 01

Wait, wait, what do you mean it's worse?

• 2:04:36The Fat Electrician?

In 1945, a Japanese balloon bomb killed six Americans. Five of them were children.

• 2:04:42Speaker 03

  No.

• 2:04:43Speaker 05

Dead Kids, Isaiah hilarious. It's, hold on, excuse me. I've been waiting years for this.

• 2:04:48Speaker 01

Oh, that just read, that's way worse.

• 2:04:51The Fat Electrician?

L C Mitchell almost didn't go on the picnic that sunny day in Oregon. She had baked a chocolate cake the night before in anticipation for their outing.

• 2:04:59Speaker 03

See, I told you it was.

• 2:05:00Speaker 05

  Is something funny, Isaiah?

• 2:05:03The Fat Electrician?

I wonder if it was a chocolate lava cake.

• 2:05:09Speaker 01

Just the concept of like Miss Frizzle, like with a bunch of kids.

• 2:05:14Speaker 05

A easy field trip with the Frizz? No way!

• 2:05:17Speaker 01

Jesus. You can't read that. You can't read that. What?

• 2:05:22The Fat Electrician?

Not after that, not after all the laughing.

• 2:05:25Speaker 01

Read it, read it. No, not after the laughter. Get it to me. This is my job.

• 2:05:30Speaker 03

  Please stop.

• 2:05:32Speaker 01

Which part? Cue the Creep Cast music? Which part?

• 2:05:35The Fat Electrician?

You can pick it up wherever you'd like.

• 2:05:37Speaker 01

Chocolate cake, or is this really called? Twenty-six-year-old. She was expecting. Uh, feeling unwell. On the morning of May 5th, she decided she felt decent enough to join her husband Reverend Mitchell and a group of Sunday School children from their tight-knit community.

• 2:05:52Speaker 03

  This couldn't get any worse.

• 2:05:54Speaker 01

As they set out for nearby. You better be.

• 2:05:58Speaker 03

You got a one-way ticket downstairs.

• 2:06:01Speaker 01

Gerhard Mountain in southern Oregon, against a scenic backdrop far removed from the war raging across the Pacific. Mitchell and five other children will become the first and only civilians to die by enemy weapons on the United States mainland during World War II.

• 2:06:18Speaker 01

  As a concept.

• 2:06:22Speaker 01

Thank you. It's still funny. Thank you.

• 2:06:26Speaker 01

It's like a smiling frisbee. Yeah. We're gonna go to the post day. You're patting it. And a flaming kite comes down.

• 2:06:34Speaker 03

I understand. Like, it is so insane.

• 2:06:37Speaker 01

  They're holding a kite.

• 2:06:37Speaker 03

It is so. A pregnant woman with a reverend with five beautiful kids.

• 2:06:42Speaker 01

Sunday School kids, yes. And they're holding a cake and a flaming Japanese kite comes down from heaven. And they hold still. No, not heaven. They fly down.

• 2:06:54Speaker 03

They're looking at it in wonderment. It's like, it's like that Jim Carrey bit where he's just like pretending to be, uh, uh, who is it?

• 2:07:02Speaker 01

  Uh, Jimmy.

• 2:07:03Speaker 03

  Uh.

• 2:07:04Speaker 01

  The Grinch? No.

• 2:07:09Speaker 03

  Where he's, he's watching.

• 2:07:11Speaker 01

Yes, Nick, it's just like the Grinch.

• 2:07:13Speaker 03

Who's that actor? From It's a Wonderful Life.

• 2:07:15Speaker 01

They stole Christmas. He did not give a fuck about Sidney Lumou.

• 2:07:18Speaker 03

Jimmy Stewart. He's pretending to be Jimmy Stewart and he's like, he's like Jimmy Stewart can make anything wonderful. Uh, do you guys know Jimmy Stewart? He's a really old actor from like It's a Wonderful Life. He talks like that. And he's like, he's like, he could make an atomic bomb look like, like it was wonderful. He's like, oh, look at that, look at that, that mushroom cloud. You could just melt your face off. And it's just like. Where did that come from? Yeah, yeah, exactly. It's beautiful.

• 2:07:47Speaker 05

Well, Uncle President Truman saw that newspaper clipping.

• 2:07:50Speaker 03

  What? Yeah.

• 2:07:51Speaker 05

  Well, Hiroshima and Nagasaki.

• 2:07:54Speaker 03

  All right. Yeah.

• 2:07:55Speaker 01

Look, all I'm saying is, all of that was me because I'm an evil person. Chris was laughing because she was disgusted by how funny I thought it was.

• 2:08:03Speaker 03

  Thank you, I see.

• 2:08:04Speaker 01

Caleb and I are the bad ones.

• 2:08:07Speaker 03

  No, he's not, he's nervous.

• 2:08:09Speaker 01

No, no, no, no. He's not walking out of this one. On the red thread, it is a running bit.

• 2:08:14Speaker 05

  This is my thing.

• 2:08:15Speaker 01

It is a running bit, and if he has to read about a woman dying, he can't control himself with laughter. He just like.

• 2:08:23Speaker 03

It's a coping mechanism. He gets nervous.

• 2:08:25Speaker 01

It's like he starts doing this.

• 2:08:26Speaker 05

  Yeah, I can't help it.

• 2:08:27Speaker 03

  Can't help it.

• 2:08:27Speaker 01

It'll be like. You lit up. It'll be like, we're gonna talk about the murder, Caleb, and you can hear the snickering. And he'll get to the details and he just like dies out.

• 2:08:36Speaker 03

It's like so horrible that he needs to laugh.

• 2:08:38Speaker 05

There was the Monkey Man episode.

• 2:08:40Speaker 01

  Oh my god.

• 2:08:41Speaker 05

  Specifically.

• 2:08:41Speaker 01

  That's what set it off.

• 2:08:43Speaker 05

  Yeah.

• 2:08:43Speaker 01

That was the start of the end.

• 2:08:45Speaker 05

  Yeah.

• 2:08:45Speaker 01

Because it was about. Well, first off, red thread.

• 2:08:48Speaker 03

  Yeah.

• 2:08:49Speaker 01

Oh, yeah, yeah, me and him do a podcast with Jackson Clark called The Red Thread where we do conspiracy theories, um, true crime, cryptids, just all kinds of weird stuff where we break it down.

• 2:09:01Speaker 05

Holy shit, Charlie's here. I replaced him.

• 2:09:08Speaker 01

He's a permanent guest. Um, one of the episodes, we covered the Monkey Man of New Delhi. Uh, and it was about in New Delhi, India, a bunch of people said that they saw it. Dang it, you're infecting me. A bunch of people saw the Monkey Man, which was a monkey that had like its head opened up and had like experiments done on it. So it's like a surgery dome around its head or whatever, and it was gonna kill people. So there would just be crowds of people.

• 2:09:33Speaker 05

Is that the anime of like the Powerpuff Girls?

• 2:09:35Speaker 01

  Yeah, Mojo Jojo. Imagine that.

• 2:09:38Speaker 05

Oh, wait. What year, what year is this? Sorry.

• 2:09:40Speaker 01

Uh, this was like the seventies.

• 2:09:43Speaker 05

  Was it the seventies?

• 2:09:43Speaker 01

  Really?

• 2:09:44Speaker 05

I thought it was the early 2000s.

• 2:09:45Speaker 01

It might have been like nine. 2000s, 2000s.

• 2:09:46Speaker 06

  Okay, yeah.

• 2:09:47Speaker 01

Which might have been more recent.

• 2:09:48Speaker 06

  I can't remember.

• 2:09:49Speaker 01

But it got to the point where people would be like, it's the monkey man and there would be stampedes of people.

• 2:09:53Speaker 06

  Mass hysteria.

• 2:09:54Speaker 01

Just running, screaming, shouting, ever. People who like would come to the police saying they were cut up and scratched by it in their sleep.

• 2:10:00Speaker 05

IT centers were down for hours.

• 2:10:02Speaker 01

Yeah, exactly. And then Caleb had to read a part about a woman that died.

• 2:10:06Speaker 06

  The only death.

• 2:10:08Speaker 01

  The only death in it.

• 2:10:09Speaker 06

The only death that was as a result of the monkey man.

• 2:10:11Speaker 01

  Go ahead.

• 2:10:12Speaker 06

Was a, I think it's, I think, I think this is correct. Was she pregnant?

• 2:10:17Speaker 01

No, I think she was either pregnant or holding a child. There was a child involved. In Sunday's.

• 2:10:22Speaker 06

  She died.

• 2:10:23Speaker 05

Did she have a chocolate cake?

• 2:10:24Speaker 06

She died. She fell down the steps, right? She fell down steps?

• 2:10:28Speaker 01

  Yeah.

• 2:10:29Speaker 06

Yeah. The only death attributed to the monkey man was a woman who died falling down the steps.

• 2:10:34Speaker 01

And he could not stop laughing.

• 2:10:37Speaker 06

It's just funny because it's, uh.

• 2:10:39Speaker 03

  No, no, no.

• 2:10:40Speaker 06

It's funny because it's this mass hysteria event that's taken hold of this town and these people are so like this guy got whoop. He got his ass beat by the monkey man and he's got like wounds on his body. And then the only death. Cause it took hold of a town of like, I don't even know how many people are fucking.

• 2:10:57Speaker 01

  New Delhi.

• 2:10:58Speaker 05

New Delhi. That's like one of the biggest cities in the world.

• 2:11:00Speaker 06

Yeah, like it's just mass hysteria and the only death caused by the monkey man was someone tripping and falling.

• 2:11:07Speaker 03

Is it because of the mass hysteria? Like, were they running?

• 2:11:09Speaker 06

  Yeah.

• 2:11:09Speaker 03

  Oh, okay.

• 2:11:10Speaker 01

Yeah, people are running and she went over like a three story staircase or something like that.

• 2:11:14Speaker 06

  Something like that.

• 2:11:14Speaker 01

And he could, he couldn't quit laughing just because of the absurdity of it. So now anytime we get to a description of like a woman dying or a sensitive event, he's going, don't laugh, don't laugh, don't laugh, which makes it funny to him. It's the equivalent of like being in school and the teacher's like, no one laugh. And you look over at your friend and he's like.

• 2:11:31Speaker 06

Well, you guys, uh, you guys.

• 2:11:33Speaker 05

Where it's, it's you, you're watching like the, the movie, the Helen Keller, like whoa, whoa. And like all your friends are trying not to like.

• 2:11:39Speaker 01

  Exactly, yeah, yeah, yeah.

• 2:11:41Speaker 06

They also set it up really badly now.

• 2:11:43Speaker 03

  Yeah.

• 2:11:44Speaker 06

Like I'm, I'm pretty good now, uh, cause I'm.

• 2:11:47Speaker 01

  Me and Jackson.

• 2:11:48Speaker 06

I'm aware of it, but they purposefully, purposely, uh, set things up.

• 2:11:54Speaker 01

  I don't know what you're talking about.

• 2:11:55Speaker 05

You're intentionally scathing apart her way.

• 2:11:57Speaker 01

  I don't know what you're talking about.

• 2:11:58Speaker 03

  Anyway.

• 2:11:58Speaker 06

They said we have to fail.

• 2:11:59Speaker 03

  No.

• 2:12:00Speaker 01

There will be a part, and by setting him up to fail, we mean do his job.

• 2:12:03Speaker 06

And by the way, yeah, exactly. And also, by the way, it isn't just, uh, it isn't just the women, it's anybody dying, really. Anything horribly uncomfortable.

• 2:12:11Speaker 03

It's not just women, thank god.

• 2:12:12Speaker 06

No, it isn't just women, it's anybody.

• 2:12:14Speaker 01

  They get him done horribly.

• 2:12:15The Fat Electrician?

  Also, children.

• 2:12:17Speaker 01

Also, children. Also, can't forget the children. Now, we will, me and Jackson will structure it where like, I read setup, he reads suspects, and it's like, now for the murder, Caleb, you haven't read yet. And then it's your turn to take the document.

• 2:12:29Speaker 06

I'm the most respectful member of the group.

• 2:12:31Speaker 01

  Mm-hmm, yeah.

• 2:12:33Speaker 06

  For sure.

• 2:12:33Speaker 03

  Good job. Good job, buddy.

• 2:12:36Speaker 05

So proud of you, man. We will grant you a seat as guest, but not, uh, part of the council.

• 2:12:40Speaker 01

Yeah, you're given the, you're given a seat of the council, but not the rank of Jedi master, yeah. You're given a seat at the table, not the rank of host, yeah, exactly.

• 2:12:49Speaker 06

  We got there eventually.

• 2:12:50Speaker 01

  Scared people, yes.

• 2:12:52Speaker 06

  I think so.

• 2:12:53The Fat Electrician?

Like, just people, like, freaking out about something is hysteria.

• 2:12:56Speaker 03

  Some groups?

• 2:12:57The Fat Electrician?

Uh, like, I don't know if hysteria is the right word, but like, so, when you go through, when you go through, like, electrician school, you have to do this, like, whole section on, um, fire, and how a building has to be built now from all the different shit we've learned. Cause there's, and you have to go through and read all these, like, historic cases of, like, in Chicago, there was a theater, and it was the first night it was open, and there was, um, this massive fire, and the doors automatically shut, like, fire doors are supposed to, but they fucked up, and there wasn't really a protocol at the time, so these doors swung shut this way, and all the people tried to run out, and were pushing into the people at the doors, and everybody dies because everybody is freaking out, and nobody could just be like,

• 2:13:41The Fat Electrician?

"Hey, back up so I can open the [bleep] door." And so it's like, the whole world is built around, like,

• 2:13:47Speaker 03

  Yeah.

• 2:13:48The Fat Electrician?

basically controlling people like cattle, cause now you have to have the doors open this way, and they can't have a knob, they have to have those pushbars, and all this crazy shit.

• 2:13:56Speaker 05

I think those are some of the biggest mass cash events in the United States, where you have, like, somebody just tosses in, like, a [bleep] oily rag. And because the doors are built the way that they are and like you have public, you know, just the, the mass hysteria.

• 2:14:08Speaker 04

  Freaking out.

• 2:14:08Speaker 05

It like that. I think there's a nightclub in New York, something like that. It was like a hundred and fifty deaths and crazy shit.

• 2:14:13Speaker 01

That was the one that was on video, right?

• 2:14:14Speaker 04

  Yep.

• 2:14:15Speaker 01

Whereas during the concert, you can see the smoke starts to billow up.

• 2:14:18Speaker 04

It wa- and then the, they also had the insulation that lit on fire.

• 2:14:21Speaker 01

Yeah, and it fell down on everyone.

• 2:14:23Speaker 04

And they're like, oh, we can't use that insulation.

• 2:14:25Speaker 01

It was over a hundred people, I think, that one.

• 2:14:27Speaker 05

If you were a loved one, has been diagnosed with mesothelioma.

• 2:14:30Speaker 04

Dude, it was, that's when they found out insulation was like, oh, that is. That should probably be fireproof. Yeah. We should fix it.

• 2:14:37Speaker 01

The thing that every house in the country is lined with, the super flammable sireful, we should probably do something about that, yeah.

• 2:14:44Speaker 05

It's a conspiracy from Big Fire.

• 2:14:45Speaker 01

Yeah, I remember something about that club.

• 2:14:47Speaker 04

  Yeah, I like you.

• 2:14:48Speaker 05

  That was a good joke.

• 2:14:50Speaker 01

  Big smoke, big fire.

• 2:14:53Speaker 04

  I like it. It's simple.

• 2:14:54Speaker 03

I could totally like that. If it's really, really good, he'll go, that's funny.

• 2:14:59Speaker 05

  Yeah.

• 2:15:00Speaker 03

What a bad, like, happy that. Shit, I didn't like it. It wanted me to laugh. It's a point.

• 2:15:08Speaker 05

I was just gonna talk about people dying in a fire.

• 2:15:12Speaker 04

I was actually gonna ask you, uh.

• 2:15:14Speaker 05

Like a hearty laugh, not like a friendly laugh, like a, oh, that's funny, like a real, like, belly laugh.

• 2:15:19Speaker 03

His, his loud laugh is like, it's like, ha ha! That's what he does.

• 2:15:24Speaker 01

  It's like his brain's like.

• 2:15:26Speaker 04

  Did you say whoa?

• 2:15:29Speaker 03

It's like a la- it's his loudest laugh.

• 2:15:30Speaker 01

His brain's like, I'm gonna get this out now, let me, huh, huh, all right.

• 2:15:33Speaker 03

  Yeah, yeah.

• 2:15:36Speaker 03

  It's like a sneeze.

• 2:15:38Speaker 04

What is the most terrifying biblically accurate angel to you? I have that wrote down.

• 2:15:45Speaker 05

I was like, this is the one now, now he laughs, that had a smooth segue.

• 2:15:51Speaker 05

  Chase, hard cut to that.

• 2:15:52Speaker 01

Press my small, see you later.

• 2:15:55Speaker 01

So, there's not that many, there's not that many angels explicitly described in biblical canon. There's ones that are mentioned in like, extra canon and stuff like that. Like, I think, uh, Metatron, which sounds like the Transformer. Uh, Metatron, I believe, I always get it wrong. It's either like, extra beliefs within Catholicism, but I'm pretty sure it might be Judaism. Anyways, mentioned as the one who keeps record of the like, the souls allowed into heaven.

• 2:16:26Speaker 05

The scribe of God kind of thing.

• 2:16:28Speaker 01

  Pretty much.

• 2:16:28Speaker 05

  I've seen Supernatural, it's.

• 2:16:32Speaker 01

  Gosh.

• 2:16:40Speaker 01

He's described as, what is it? It's like the creature of a thousand tongues or something like that. Keeps the record, keeps all memory things. So that was like a freak image as well. As far as like actual biblical depictions, it has to be the ofinim, ofalim or whatever. They're called thrones a lot. The wheels within wheels. It comes from one description in the book of Ezekiel. When Ezekiel is effectively being summoned to be a prophet of God and he makes his way to the river. And he sees a creature appear in the clouds that he describes as wheels within wheels.

• 2:17:22Speaker 01

And on the wheels are eyes that are viewing him and the wheels.

• 2:17:26Speaker 05

  Gyroscope.

• 2:17:27Speaker 01

Yeah, like shapes within shapes or whatever. And that on the wheels are eyes and that it's, it has this great fire in these wings that sprout off of it. And it says it is larger than a mountain and that when it speaks, it speaks with thunder and fire. So that's pretty mighty. Now, I said, in my opinion is that there's a lot of like, the Catholicism does this a lot. They take the angels. Oh, yeah. There's like paintings of it. It's really cool.

• 2:17:56Speaker 05

Oh, yeah. I know it's kind of a meme, but it's like when they first introduce themselves as a human. It's always be not afraid.

• 2:18:01Speaker 01

  Yeah.

• 2:18:01Speaker 03

  Yeah, cool.

• 2:18:05Speaker 05

I love the meme where it's like, it's that biblically accurate angel. And then it's the Chad face like, be not afraid. This is literally the most terrifying thing I've ever seen in my life.

• 2:18:17Speaker 01

I think it's like, so the Catholics do it a lot to where there are specific kinds of angels mentioned. Cause there's other weird kinds of mention. There's the seraphim that come up a lot. They're mentioned in the book of Isaiah. It is these creatures that are said to have like, it's, they have two wings that cover their head and two wings that cover their feet and two wings that's come out and they're covered in eyes. And that's the ones that come to Isaiah whenever he's commissioned to be the prophet says. They leap coals of fire in his mouth. Um, then there's like the cherubs, which are mentioned as, um, these creatures that have like the head of a bull, the head of an eagle, the head of like animalistic features within the wings. So there's a lot of stuff like that. And then Catholicism, um, I, I say Catholicism like it's just in, and a lot of Christian beliefs,

• 2:19:02Speaker 01

it is like tiered almost. It's like, yes, if they are a throne, it is one specific angel that is a throne. And if they are a seraph, there's one specific, that's a seraph, right? Um, and I think one of the reasons for that is because like in revelations, there's a lot of mention of like around the throne of God. There are the seraphs, seraphim and the cherubim and stuff like that. Um, so maybe that could be true, but what I also think is possible is that, you know, these angels aren't really, you know, they existed before we did, right? So I don't think they have to be relegated to one form. I think maybe they can just be things at different times, like Michael's mentioned as the archangel who will eventually, you know, destroyed, to not make a supernatural reference, that will eventually. I wasn't thinking about it then. Yes, you were.

• 2:19:47Speaker 01

No, I was not. Michael that will fight Lucifer.

• 2:19:50Speaker 05

I will not take this from my son.

• 2:19:51Speaker 01

Okay. Michael that will eventually fight Lucifer. Lufusir. Lucifer, thank you. Luf, luf, that, look, now I got it wrong. I said Lufusir, you said Lucifer. Lucifer. You're correct. You gaslit. Ossifer?

• 2:20:10Speaker 05

Lufusir, I swear to drunk, I'm not God.

• 2:20:17Speaker 03

That's funny. I swear to drunk, I'm not God.

• 2:20:22Speaker 01

Yes, that, that guy. You have like descriptions of Michael and stuff like that who oftentimes, most of the time that angels appear in the Bible, the person who's speaking to them doesn't know they're an angel at first, or at least a lot of the time. You have like, um, Uh, Rachel.

• 2:20:37Speaker 05

The person that is speaking to the angel does not know that.

• 2:20:40Speaker 01

Yes. Samuel's mother, Rachel, I believe. No, that's not Rebecca, I think. Samuel's mother, uh, didn't think she was gonna have a child, then a man appears before and says, "You all will have a child, do this, do that." And then, in the course of talking to him, he steps into the fire and disappears, and they realize, "Oh, that was an angel." So that kind of thing happens a lot throughout the Bible. So they can appear as just people, in like, normal form, right? So, I don't, it's not that I think there's angels that look exactly like people. I think what is more likely the case is the angels can change their form or how they look, depending on what's needed.

• 2:21:15Speaker 05

In that scenario, he might just have wanted to free Palestine.

• 2:21:21The Fat Electrician?

I can't wait to watch you guys fight.

• 2:21:24Speaker 06

  It's this close, bro.

• 2:21:27The Fat Electrician?

  Creator clash.

• 2:21:28Speaker 01

It's a conversational way. It might be this one.

• 2:21:33Speaker 01

You have like, the different tool for different jobs, like in Ezekiel's case, right? Uh, a lot of the prophecy that Ezekiel would end up delivering was very, uh, hell, brimstone and fire, right? It was Ezekiel going to the king. There's actually a part, I believe it's in Ezekiel, where Ezekiel's speaking to the king and directly calls him like, "Thou art," basically thou art the devil. He looks at the king and says, "Thou were the anointed cherub who tempted man in Eden." So it's like, in Ezekiel's case, it's like, there's a very wicked rulership over you. You're gonna have to preach hell-ha, right? Uh, but in other cases, like Gideon, where he needed to secretly raise up an army, an angel appears before him, and he can't tell it's an angel at first. Or, no, he can tell it's an angel. That's where I think the first mention of "Be Not Afraid" is.

• 2:22:16Speaker 01

But it's just described as like, you know, a person figure. And in other cases, like, you have a case with Elijah, you have a case with, um, Isaac, where, uh, an angel appears in a voice, just like a still, soft voice. And in those cases, the thing that they needed to do was much more subtle, much more personal, right? So I think it's just the right tool for the right job. If God needs a man to go forward and speak violence and wrath, you have the angel appear as a mountain that speaks with thunder and fire. And if he needs to secretly raise up- up an army if he needs to change what he's doing it's a voice or a person I don't necessarily think it has to be just angels are stuck in one form forever I think it's just the right tool for the right job

• 2:22:58Speaker 05

I mean you also have like Sodom and Gomorrah where the first thing like the people of the town wanted to them immediately

• 2:23:03Speaker 01

  Yes

• 2:23:03Speaker 05

which is like bizarre it's like you would think that

• 2:23:06Speaker 01

Yeah, so the in that case the two angels enter the town as people right and the people attacking just assumed it was two people right they didn't know it was angels

• 2:23:15Speaker 05

Obviously the first course of action

• 2:23:17Speaker 01

But what were they doing there it wasn't the brimstone and fire yet it was the two angels going to Lot's house that was another they weren't the angels were going there to speak to Lot They were not going there to speak to the people of the town so to go speak to Lot they appear again as people in a much more neutral casual form then after that the fire came Yeah, but for that initial step it was the like the peaceful it's the tool for the job basically

• 2:23:43Speaker 04

It's like Caleb with the burritos

• 2:23:47Speaker 05

  Jesus Christ

• 2:23:48Speaker 01

You remember how the other day I was like angel side devil side

• 2:23:53Speaker 04

That was the devil's side don't put me on that side

• 2:23:57Speaker 05

  We've switched places

• 2:23:58Speaker 04

  No

• 2:23:59Speaker 01

Ask him a question I'm not talking to you

• 2:24:04Speaker 04

That was guys thank you so fucking much for coming out first off

• 2:24:08Speaker 05

I feel like that's bad to end on that

  Cause I know they're

• 2:24:19Speaker 01

  Oh, that's that's her rally

• 2:24:21Speaker 04

Oh, I still have more if we want I can go down that road too

• 2:24:24Speaker 03

Keep going if we wait long enough Caleb's gonna bring us food

• 2:24:28Speaker 04

You wanna talk about ghost stuff

• 2:24:29Speaker 05

  Yeah, I'm down, okay

• 2:24:30Speaker 03

  Yeah, if you want

• 2:24:31Speaker 05

  Forty eight hours

• 2:24:47Speaker 03

  Let's go right now

• 2:24:48Speaker 05

  In case I'm gonna leave

• 2:24:49Speaker 04

You're laughing you noticed you noticed the pallet of a terabyte hard drives

• 2:24:56Speaker 04

  Two terabytes we got time

• 2:24:59Speaker 04

Caleb, I need you now. Oh, we're good, I'm good. No, like, good ghost stuff, I know you guys are you, honey. You, are you a believer, not a believer? I don't know.

• 2:25:09Speaker 06

I wanna see if ghosts are real. I wanna see them. I don't believe in them, at all.

• 2:25:13Speaker 03

  He's a ghost poker.

• 2:25:14Speaker 06

I would, I would, if they showed them, if, like, there was some kind of evidence, I'd believe.

• 2:25:19Speaker 04

  What is?

• 2:25:19Speaker 03

  What about Isaiah?

• 2:25:20Speaker 04

I know. That's why I love this, cuz it is.

• 2:25:23Speaker 03

Yeah, okay, yeah, sorry, I asked you a question.

• 2:25:25Speaker 04

  No.

• 2:25:25Speaker 06

You gonna pop some more of that?

• 2:25:26Speaker 04

You just asked it, ready? You asked.

• 2:25:28Speaker 03

Isaiah, do you believe in ghosts?

• 2:25:29Speaker 01

I said I'm not talking to them. I'll talk to you.

• 2:25:31Speaker 03

Okay, do you believe in ghosts? What's your opinion on that?

• 2:25:33Speaker 01

I don't know if I believe in ghosts. I'm like, um, so the Bible says, "To be absent with the body is to be present with the Lord."

• 2:25:41Speaker 03

  Mm-hmm.

• 2:25:41Speaker 01

Right? Uh, and I don't really think there's exceptions to that, at least none that are listed. Now, I do believe in angels and demons, right? But, uh, one of the whole things that happened with Christ's crucifixion was we went from the age of law to the age of grace.

• 2:25:57Speaker 03

  Yeah.

• 2:25:57Speaker 01

So, things like angels and demons don't happen as literally on earth anymore, right? But, there's this weird gray area in the Bible where it talks about spirits.

• 2:26:06Speaker 03

  Yeah.

• 2:26:07Speaker 01

Right, it talks about spirits coming over people a lot. Like, it talks about Saul, that a spirit entered his mind and made him hostile towards David. And it talks about, um, spirits from, uh, like, dark spirits that roam the earth, spirits to stay away from. Uh, I don't think it was Jesus, but somewhere in the New Testament, it says, "Those who speak, strange spirits find them." Something to that effect.

• 2:26:27Speaker 03

  Mm-hmm.

• 2:26:28Speaker 01

Um, so it's like, okay, well, that sounds something. And then, there is one case in the Bible, uh, where, for a bad reason, the spirit, or the soul, the ghost effectively, of someone who's dead comes back, and that's with, uh, Samuel.

• 2:26:44Speaker 03

  Mm-hmm.

• 2:26:45Speaker 01

When Saul, are you familiar with the story, Saul going to the witch?

• 2:26:47Speaker 03

  Yeah.

• 2:26:48Speaker 01

Yeah, so when Saul goes to the witch, um, I would explain this to you guys, but I'm not talking to you all for the rest. Um, when Saul-

• 2:26:54Speaker 06

Thank you for bringing that back up.

• 2:26:54Speaker 01

Yeah, you're welcome. Uh, when Saul-

• 2:26:57Speaker 06

  I'm sorry.

• 2:26:57Speaker 01

Goes to see the, you know, I'll talk to Eli, he's fine.

• 2:27:00Speaker 06

  Oh, fuck me then, sorry.

• 2:27:02Speaker 03

  He doesn't know about it.

• 2:27:03Speaker 01

  So, in the Bible,

• 2:27:06Speaker 01

there's this point when Saul, uh, wants to have David killed, cuz he knows David is supposed to take the throne. So, Saul gets upset, thank you, uh, Saul-

• 2:27:18Speaker 04

That's the first time you've been thankful, like, on the podcast.

• 2:27:21Speaker 01

  Let's get it.

• 2:27:22Speaker 04

  In all 200 episodes.

• 2:27:27Speaker 01

So Saul wants David dead because he knows David has the rightful heir to the throne, as God has said. So Saul goes to a witch because Saul is so stuck in his mind that he should be king, that he's like, "Oh, I'm going to go to a witch and summon the spirit of Samuel, the prophet." And Samuel was a prophet for God, who originally commissioned or anointed Saul to be king, but then Saul messed up, so Samuel moved on to David. But Saul is so stuck in his mind that he's like, "No, I'm supposed to be king. Samuel will know that. Samuel will agree with me." So he goes to a witch and asks the witch to

• 2:28:07Speaker 01

summon the soul of Samuel. And it says that the spirit of Samuel appears, and I think the line that said it, it says he appears with spirits and says, "Why hast thou disquieted me?" Or something, which is like, "Why hast thou disturbed my slumber?" And he said, and he basically like lays it out to Saul, the spirit of Samuel does, and says, it's this whole thing about like thou hast basically bitten the hand that's fed you, thou hast gone against God. Thy soul and the souls of thy sons will be required. And then the next day on the battlefield, Saul and his sons were killed. So like Saul suffered serious damage for it, but that is an example in the Bible of a ghost showing up, right?

• 2:28:48Speaker 03

  It's interesting. It's interesting.

• 2:28:49Speaker 06

  Yeah, wild.

• 2:28:50Speaker 03

  It's all interesting.

• 2:28:52Speaker 01

  It is.

• 2:28:52Speaker 03

I don't know. Yeah, for me, I just, I'm just curious. I'm just a curious little guy. But like him, I mean, he wants to, you know, have that experience or whatever.

• 2:29:01Speaker 06

Yeah, I would like to, like, I don't believe in them, you know? Like, I don't have faith that ghosts are real. It's not like a thing that I'm, that I'm willing to, to like disregard my experience and like history and books and science and things like that. There are things I'm willing to disregard aspects of to have faith in those things or believe in those things, but not ghosts. Like, if I saw one, I would believe in it. But it doesn't make my life better to believe in it or worse.

• 2:29:31Speaker 05

  Can I call out a nuclear-grade non-answer on Isaiah's part?

• 2:29:35Speaker 06

  Sure.

• 2:29:36Speaker 05

  Did you all hear something?

• 2:29:37Speaker 03

  Yes.

• 2:29:38Speaker 06

A little pitter-patter. Everyone's shitting on Brandon now.

• 2:29:49Speaker 05

Well, no, because like you did bring up like a very like, that was a well, uh, explained, I think biblical answer, but like you with you personally, like things you've experienced, because I think you like you.

• 2:29:58Speaker 01

  That's key.

• 2:29:58Speaker 05

You've been to a lot of, uh, I guess, very haunted places and stuff like that. And you have, you clearly have an interest with it, like creep cast and everything. Is that something that you actually believe in at least to some degree or?

• 2:30:11Speaker 01

Um, I would love to be convinced, I think.

• 2:30:19Speaker 01

But it's, I, I do believe in the supernatural.

• 2:30:24Speaker 05

  So do I.

• 2:30:25Speaker 01

Yeah, and the afterlife and God and the devil and stuff like that. I firmly believe in the supernatural. I don't think I believe in the souls of people still walking the earth.

• 2:30:37Speaker 05

  Got it.

• 2:30:38Speaker 01

Basically, and I don't even necessarily believe that demons or spirits or whatever would present themselves in such a way. Like, uh, it's a cliche line from that usual suspects, but the devil, you know, greatest trick convincing the world he didn't exist. I have no idea why spirits or demons or whatever would show their hand like that. And maybe in individual circumstances, like individual people who saw something, maybe that is a spirit or ghost or whatever. I don't think there would ever be proof. I don't think they, that would ever happen. Because like that, if that ever were to happen, that ruins the game, that ruins the, the, uh, what's the word I'm looking for?

• 2:31:14Speaker 05

They're, they're accomplishing their end goal in their absence.

• 2:31:17Speaker 01

Yes, exactly. Yeah, because of, you know, I've, I've talked about on the podcast before, but the devil's whole trick is to just make people not trust in God. He doesn't need to win, he just needs God to lose for individuals, right?

• 2:31:26Speaker 05

Where like if you prove, if you prove the devil, then like fuck.

• 2:31:29Speaker 01

Well, then by cause and effect, like I'm going to church now, right? That defeats the whole point. So I don't even think they would ever prove themselves in any substantial way. Uh, again, maybe individually, like, like the Bible talks about possessions and stuff like that, and I believe in that to some degree, but I don't believe there'd ever be possessions to the point that it would out them. Right? Or something like that.

• 2:31:48Speaker 03

Yeah, I was, I was gonna say that was gonna be my next question, if you believe in that specific thing as well.

• 2:31:52Speaker 01

I believe in possessions, uh, at least as mentioned in the New Testament. And stuff like that. Uh, there's one case of the people, um, it's while Paul's preaching and I want to say Antioch, I can't remember which church, but uh, it's mentioned in the book of Acts, chapter seven, I think.

• 2:32:11Speaker 01

A group of people who have heard of what Paul's doing in casting out spirits.

• 2:32:15Speaker 03

  Yeah.

• 2:32:15Speaker 01

Go to try to cast out a demon themselves. And so as they go to the person that is possessed and say they're going to cast him out. And says, the demon looked up at them in the person and said, Jesus, I know and Paul, I know, but who are you? Effectively saying that they don't have any power in the spirit. They're nothing.

• 2:32:32Speaker 04

Why would I shit my pants in that moment?

• 2:32:34Speaker 03

  Yeah.

• 2:32:34Speaker 01

Well, it says, the person leaped at them and ripped their clothes from them and they walked from the house crippled and wounded.

• 2:32:42Speaker 04

  Jesus.

• 2:32:43Speaker 01

Yeah. So it's like, that's mentioned in the Bible, right? So that's be real to some degree. But again, in the modern age, I don't think they would show their hand that way.

• 2:32:51Speaker 03

  Yeah.

• 2:32:51Speaker 01

Because that defeats the purpose. If people can get possessed and they're evil, then like. He loses, right? It's like, you know, that's bad. We don't want that to happen.

• 2:32:59Speaker 03

  Yeah.

• 2:33:00Speaker 04

So I've never thought about that. That is like, hey, if we show that, that's why it can't be recorded because then they. The devil itself is losing because then everyone is on board like, oh shit. Okay.

• 2:33:12Speaker 03

It's, that's like the, the, the test. It's like you're, it's either you have faith or you don't have faith based off of. Jesus and, and everything that he did. So.

• 2:33:20Speaker 04

Well, I never really understood Satanism in general where they're like, all right, well, if you, if you've read the book.

• 2:33:27Speaker 01

  That's why.

• 2:33:27Speaker 04

You, you decided to worship that guy?

• 2:33:29Speaker 01

Typically Satanism is like non, there's loose Luciferian Satanism.

• 2:33:35Speaker 03

  Yeah.

• 2:33:35Speaker 01

Which is like the worship of that, but most Satanist stuff like Anton LaVey and all that is like.

• 2:33:40Speaker 04

  Hedonism.

• 2:33:40Speaker 01

  It's like hedonism. Yeah.

• 2:33:42Speaker 03

  Yeah. It's almost.

• 2:33:43Speaker 01

Yeah. Yeah. I wanna, I wanna do what I want and God's dead.

• 2:33:46Speaker 03

  Yeah.

• 2:33:46Speaker 01

And let's have a party. That's what most of it.

• 2:33:48Speaker 03

It's basically like atheism, but like.

• 2:33:51Speaker 01

  Edgy atheism.

• 2:33:52Speaker 03

Edgy atheism, exactly. It's not like a pentagram on the table and everybody's, but some it's.

• 2:33:58Speaker 05

I'm gonna prove you how unimportant this is to me and I'm gonna parody that.

• 2:34:01Speaker 01

  Exactly, yeah.

• 2:34:02Speaker 03

And that's kind of the way, I mean, you know, if you believe in it or not, like how the devil works. You know, it's convincing you that this is not real. So, yeah, it's interesting.

• 2:34:11Speaker 01

Nothing to worry about, have fun, enjoy life and don't worry about what comes afterwards.

• 2:34:14Speaker 03

  Yeah, there's no repercussions.

• 2:34:16Speaker 01

I think if possession still works in the, or if like that's still even part of the ploy, I think it would be people possessed who would never show any signs of it and perhaps put into, people put into places of influence for others, it would never show any signs of it to anyone. I think that would be the way that would happen.

• 2:34:34Speaker 05

For example, a YouTuber with just over four million subscribers.

• 2:34:40The Fat Electrician?

Doesn't, doesn't the Catholic Church like have like?

• 2:34:45Speaker 01

I thought it was just like a B tier opinion that came out of the section.

• 2:34:50Speaker 01

  What about Catholic Church?

• 2:34:51The Fat Electrician?

I was gonna say, don't, don't Catholic Church have like, uh, sorry, I don't know, but they're like.

• 2:34:55Speaker 01

Yeah, you wanna know about four million subscribers, would you?

• 2:34:57Speaker 05

  I don't, go ahead, I don't, I'm not bitter.

• 2:35:00The Fat Electrician?

  Wow!

• 2:35:03The Fat Electrician?

  Unsub, family rivalry.

• 2:35:06The Fat Electrician?

Cause they have like different geographical regions with, I think it's called a diocese. Doesn't each one have like a designated exorcist that has like special training or something?

• 2:35:17Speaker 01

  Did you grow up Catholic?

• 2:35:17Speaker 03

  No, Christian.

• 2:35:19Speaker 05

  Jesus.

• 2:35:21Speaker 01

  Catholic is Christian.

• 2:35:21Speaker 03

No, I know, but just like, not Catholic, but just it overall.

• 2:35:24Speaker 01

  Yeah, yeah, I got you.

• 2:35:26Speaker 03

  Just like your basic Christian.

• 2:35:27Speaker 05

Out of context, that came on.

• 2:35:29Speaker 01

  That was really funny.

• 2:35:32Speaker 03

But you know what I mean, like it's either Catholic or just like, I'm not a Baptist or Protestant.

• 2:35:38Speaker 01

You just grew up broad Christian.

• 2:35:39Speaker 03

Just broad, that's what I meant, yeah.

• 2:35:41Speaker 01

Yes, I believe so. I don't know the specifics of it, but if I know, right, cause I know that the way it's broken up is you have like the Pope and then you have like the Cardinals of different regions and other of those are bishops and then individual church priests, fathers, stuff like that. Uh, somewhere in that chain, there are people trained in exorcism.

• 2:36:01Speaker 01

Um, I don't know if that's like a bishop's position or some priest's position. Like, I don't know what role that is in there. But somewhere on that hierarchy, yeah, there are people trained.

• 2:36:14Speaker 03

It's actually a really fun movie. You should watch it. If you haven't seen it.

• 2:36:18Speaker 06

  The what?

• 2:36:18Speaker 03

The Pope's Exorcist with Russell Crowe.

• 2:36:20Speaker 06

  No, I've never seen it.

• 2:36:21Speaker 03

  Did you watch it?

• 2:36:22Speaker 01

  It's good.

• 2:36:22Speaker 03

  I like it a lot.

• 2:36:23Speaker 01

  It's fun.

• 2:36:23Speaker 03

  It was really fun.

• 2:36:24Speaker 04

Now, what are personal experiences, though? Like, you've probably had some?

• 2:36:28Speaker 03

Well, the thing is, too, it's like.

• 2:36:30Speaker 04

Don't. So you have you had any experiences with it? And then have you seen her experiences? Because I'm assuming you trust her. You're not like, you liar.

• 2:36:38Speaker 03

  Yeah.

• 2:36:38Speaker 06

  No, I don't think she's a liar.

• 2:36:39Speaker 03

No, yeah, for me, it's, for me.

• 2:36:42Speaker 06

  She's legit.

• 2:36:42Speaker 03

I understand that it's, um, like causation, like it's you put, if you put, if I put my scared self in a situation where I'm in a haunted place, that's scary and it's dark and any creek or any noise or any flash, like I'm going, I'm looking for ghosts. So I'm going to think that's a ghost.

• 2:36:59Speaker 06

  If you're willing to believe.

• 2:37:00Speaker 03

I'm exactly, and I'm very, I try to be very aware of that in in those situations. And then there's some situations where, you know, we try to debunk it and we do like, I'd say 99% of the time. And then sometimes we just can't, and I don't know what that means. Like, maybe it means that it was nothing and I would just wasn't able to debunk it. Or I I experienced something. So that's just something I'm not, I don't say like 100% this is this. But I'm like, I heard a voice in front of me say something. I don't know what that means. It scared me. And it was weird and we caught it on camera, but I don't like, I I don't know. So it's very strange. But I'm very aware of like, if you do put yourself in that situation, if you go hunting for Bigfoot, if then, and you see a.

• 2:37:43Speaker 04

• 2:37:44Speaker 05

It's the human factor of like, you hit what you aim at. Like, if you're going for that, then you're gonna find it.

• 2:37:48Speaker 03

Exactly. Yeah. So when it comes to ghost hunting, I think for everyone, that's just what it is.

• 2:37:53Speaker 04

When you catch something on camera, have you shown him and you're like, how do we?

• 2:37:57Speaker 03

I haven't sat down and like actually gone through stuff with him like that.

• 2:38:03Speaker 05

As long as, like, if no woman's dying, he doesn't care.

• 2:38:06Speaker 03

  Yeah, exactly.

• 2:38:07Speaker 01

  Is this funny or not?

• 2:38:10Speaker 03

  Yeah.

• 2:38:10Speaker 01

Because if it's not funny, I don't care.

• 2:38:14Speaker 03

Yeah. And I'm totally, like, it's totally cool.

• 2:38:19Speaker 03

I'm the same, though. Like, I would love it, like, love for, like, somebody to just walk out and be like, "Hey, I'm a ghost. What's up? How's it going?" Um, but I haven't had that happen.

• 2:38:27Speaker 01

I think, like, the whole, like, the gray area of, like, spirits in the Bible. I think maybe some experience that happened, maybe the result of that, I don't know.

• 2:38:35Speaker 03

  Yeah.

• 2:38:35Speaker 01

And even if, like, I tell people this all, like, for example, I don't believe in aliens. I don't think aliens are real, right? Just really, because, like, Bible doesn't mention them. I don't know how they'd come up. But if aliens turned out to be real tomorrow, that wouldn't, I wouldn't be like, "Oh, I guess God's not real." It would just be like, "Okay, I was incorrect in how I framed that."

• 2:38:52Speaker 05

You'd have the Warhammer philosophy of, "Only one of us was made in God's image, motherfucker."

• 2:38:57Speaker 01

That's it, too. They're about to find out what that means, yeah. That's what I do to the geese at the local park near my house, too.

• 2:39:03Speaker 05

Oh, oh, that's a deep cut. I can't remember that one, but that came from somewhere.

• 2:39:08Speaker 01

Yeah, it was a meme, though. It was like me going to the local park about to let the geese know why I'm the one made in God's image.

• 2:39:15Speaker 01

  So...

• 2:39:16Speaker 05

  Xenocide.

• 2:39:18Speaker 01

  But, uh...

• 2:39:19Speaker 05

  Xenophobe? I'm not afraid.

• 2:39:22Speaker 01

I think, um, that i-if aliens are real, it's like, oh, it's not that God's not real, it's just that I need to readjust my thinking. If tomorrow, con-but like, confident evidence came out that the spirits of the dead could be found, talked to, still exist, it wouldn't be like, "Well, I guess heaven and hell's not real and all that." It would just be like, "Okay, I just need to reframe my understanding of it."

• 2:39:43Speaker 03

Yeah. Yeah, I'm under the same kind of frame.

• 2:39:46Speaker 01

Which, if anything, that would prove it even further.

• 2:39:48Speaker 03

Honestly, yeah, because of the references you're talking about. It's like, oh, that's really interesting, so...

• 2:39:53Speaker 05

There's also a lot of really interesting, like, Old Testament stuff where, like, people, I don't know, the way that they phrase certain things, especially older Old Testament stuff, where, like, it implies the existence of other magic and things outside of God.

• 2:40:05Speaker 03

  Mm-hmm.

• 2:40:06Speaker 05

Which is really interesting, like sorcery and things like that, where it's like, there's almost like an understanding of a supernatural element that doesn't really exist in the New Testament as much.

• 2:40:14Speaker 01

Yeah, I think, again, I think that comes back to Jesus, uh, because the whole thing was, like, we had to follow the law.

• 2:40:20Speaker 03

  Yep.

• 2:40:21Speaker 01

We had to follow the rule and, like, the stuff laid out by... The prophets, uh, and then Jesus ended all that. Jesus came to earth.

• 2:40:27Speaker 03

  Yeah.

• 2:40:27Speaker 01

Um, he was the final sacrifice, the lamb of God.

• 2:40:30Speaker 03

  Yeah.

• 2:40:31Speaker 01

  Right?

• 2:40:31Speaker 03

  No more fun magic.

• 2:40:32Speaker 01

  Exactly. Yeah.

• 2:40:33Speaker 03

  Like actually.

• 2:40:34Speaker 01

All that stuff that had to be done physically for you to happen is gone now. Like the temple was rent in half.

• 2:40:40Speaker 03

Yes, it's because they all failed. There, there were, like, there was already a flood.

• 2:40:43Speaker 01

  Yeah.

• 2:40:44Speaker 03

  And then.

• 2:40:44Speaker 01

  We tried that twice.

• 2:40:45Speaker 03

There was miracles happening. Still, people weren't buying it. And we're like, okay, we're gonna kill Jesus, bring him back to life. Now, y'all need to, like, just believe.

• 2:40:53Speaker 01

There's no more, there's no more, like, our sins rely on the high priest.

• 2:40:57Speaker 03

  Yes.

• 2:40:57Speaker 01

  He is the mediator.

• 2:40:59Speaker 03

  Yeah, exactly. Exactly.

• 2:41:00Speaker 05

The meme going around about Judas is like, dude, even if you didn't believe he was the son of God, you're still clearly fucking with a very high level wizard.

• 2:41:08Speaker 01

Really very. Bad call. Really bad call.

• 2:41:14Speaker 01

He's like, he's like standing around and watching the cripple guy get up. He's like, okay, well, anyone could do that.

• 2:41:23Speaker 05

Two fish, a thousand fish, anybody can miscount.

• 2:41:25Speaker 01

  Oh, okay.

• 2:41:26Speaker 03

  Bread.

• 2:41:27Speaker 01

You're telling me they brought, you're telling me they brought empty baskets and started handing them out?

• 2:41:33Speaker 05

  How many people?

• 2:41:37Speaker 01

Okay. And no one reached in and realized that there was more blowfall in the sun, more bread.

• 2:41:45Speaker 03

  Easily explainable.

• 2:41:46Speaker 01

  Yeah. Okay.

• 2:41:49Speaker 03

Blood, water, whatever. Mine and water, I missed.

• 2:41:52Speaker 01

  Yeah.

• 2:41:53Speaker 05

I hate that we always have the most intelligent conversation at the end of the podcast.

• 2:41:56Speaker 04

  Oh, I love it.

• 2:41:57Speaker 03

  Yeah. They're not here anymore.

• 2:41:59Speaker 01

It has to warm up. Yeah. No, they're not here.

• 2:42:03Speaker 04

  They left 40 minutes ago.

• 2:42:04Speaker 01

They quit off now. They're dead right now.

• 2:42:06Speaker 03

We warmed them up. We warmed them up for the intelligent conversation.

• 2:42:11Speaker 04
