When you're deep in the backcountry and everything depends on your gear, your knife can't be the weak link. That's why I teamed up with Montana Knife Company to build the Keep Hammering Pack Out. What matters to me in all things is performance. The Pack Out is built to do one thing really well. Break down animals efficiently. The blade shape gives you control when skinning, the steel holds an edge, and it's light enough that you don't think twice about carrying it all day. When you're tired, cold, and working on an animal miles from the truck, simple and reliable are everything. Montana Knife Company is American-made, and that matters to me. I know Josh Smith personally, and he doesn't cut corners. He cares about quality, doing things the right way,

and about building products here in the USA that actually perform in the field. That's why I trust this knife. If you want to check it out, head to montanaknifecompany.com. And right now, podcast listeners, get 10% off any knife with code CAM10. C-A-M-10. The Keep Hammering Pack Out. Built for the backcountry, built to work. This episode is brought to you by Black Rifle Coffee. Every November, we spend a week talking about honoring veterans. That's important, but eventually, the talking has to turn into action. Black Rifle Coffee Company was founded by veterans, so the community we're talking about isn't abstract to them, it's their community.

• 1:27Cameron Hanes?

Last year, Black Rifle and Born Primitive helped eliminate medical debt to over 20,000 veterans. This year, their goal is even bigger. November 6th to the 11th, 100% of profits from online sales go to helping us eliminate up to $35 million in veteran and first responder medical debt. That's real financial relief for real people who served this country and the families who stood beside them. And every bag, box, and can helps make that possible. This Veterans Week, whether you're brewing Just Black, going bold with Beyond Black, or grabbing a ready-to-drink coffee on the go, you can be part of something bigger. Because supporting those who served shouldn't just be something we talk about, it should be something we do.

• 2:12Cameron Hanes?

Visit blackriflecoffee.com or bornprimitive.com, November 6th through the 11th, and help us reach our goal of freeing veteran and first responder families from the burden of medical debt this Christmas. Veteran-founded, American-roasted, this is America's Coffee.

This is Slobberknockers Weekly, episode 37. Kremmer and Haynes, James Gideon Gideon.

• 2:53Speaker 01

  G-Dion.

• 2:56Speaker 01

  That's my rap name.

• 2:57Cameron Hanes?

What's up? You were in The Last Soul this weekend.

• 3:01Cameron Hanes?

  What was that?

• 3:01Speaker 01

Yeah, the Eugene Last Soul. One of the qualifiers was here in town.

• 3:06Cameron Hanes?

Oh, nice. Was Kim in it? Kim Gottwald?

• 3:09Speaker 01

Well, he was, and then he found out that I was gonna be in it, so yeah.

• 3:13Cameron Hanes?

  Oh.

• 3:14Speaker 01

Business, you know? He had to take care of business.

• 3:17Cameron Hanes?

  Yeah, so. Figures.

• 3:18Speaker 01

  Yeah.

• 3:19Cameron Hanes?

  They're already running scared.

• 3:21Speaker 01

I'm not surprised, you know? But, no, that was good. If we want to start there, there was a little backyard simulation here in Eugene, put on by Grace. Bunch of people showed up, it was super fun. I have to give a shout out to Ian Wheeler. Who I ran, he's the one that invited me. And I ran all of my miles with him. Absolute stud. He used to be the fourth back, fourth back, fourth down quarterback for the Ducks.

• 3:49Cameron Hanes?

  Really?

• 3:50Speaker 01

  Punter.

• 3:51Cameron Hanes?

Oh, wait, I think I knew that.

• 3:53Speaker 01

  Yeah.

• 3:53Cameron Hanes?

Yeah, I think he told me that.

• 3:54Speaker 01

Yeah, and his like favorite stat is that he had a tackle in the natty.

• 3:58Cameron Hanes?

  Oh.

• 3:59Speaker 01

  We love a tackling punter.

• 4:00Cameron Hanes?

  Yeah, for sure.

• 4:01Speaker 01

But his best was 18 miles before this, and he did 52.

• 4:05Cameron Hanes?

  Yeah.

• 4:06Speaker 01

  On Saturday, so.

• 4:07Cameron Hanes?

He talked, I asked him, because I saw him at church on Sunday. I asked, I said, 52, I was like, shit, are you sore? He's like, wasn't sore.

• 4:15Speaker 01

  Damn.

• 4:16Cameron Hanes?

  He said he felt good.

• 4:17Speaker 01

  That's crazy.

• 4:18Cameron Hanes?

  Pretty impressive.

• 4:19Speaker 01

He's a stud, yeah. And he's also just like a super nice guy, got to meet his family, and yeah, it was a good time. I did 34, and then had some obligations to get to, you know?

• 4:30Cameron Hanes?

  Oh, I know.

• 4:31Speaker 01

So, he has that damn shoulder injury, you know, back in 05.

• 4:36Cameron Hanes?

No, I thought it was when you were five, your knee.

• 4:39Speaker 01

Well, that one too, but that one doesn't really affect my running.

• 4:42Cameron Hanes?

You got little spluge stains on that.

• 4:46Cameron Hanes?

  But, yeah.

• 4:48Speaker 01

Well, the fucking heaters, it feels like.

• 4:50Cameron Hanes?

Now we got it coming, baby.

• 4:51Speaker 01

The power of six suns hitting me.

• 4:55Cameron Hanes?

Yeah, so that, that hum in the background is a heater, because it was freezing in here.

• 5:00Speaker 01

  Yeah.

• 5:02Speaker 01

I have to give another shout out to this kid who DM'd me a little while ago, and he asked for a Fourth Lore hat. And I was just, for some reason, I was like, yeah, I'll send you one. And he's like, I got a backyard coming up, I'd love to wear it. So I sent him one, and Christian Simonson, he was born with a heart defect, he's had like four different heart surgeries, and he stayed out there for 24 hours and ran 56 miles, him and his dad.

• 5:30Cameron Hanes?

  Wow.

• 5:30Speaker 01

Just super inspiring for me. He's really nice, really cool kid, but.

• 5:35Cameron Hanes?

  That's a long way.

• 5:36Speaker 01

  I know.

• 5:36Cameron Hanes?

  56 miles is legit.

• 5:38Speaker 01

You know, I was talking to him, and I was like, you know, do you feel like running more? And he's like, you know, I, I struggled finding things to do outside of school with hobbies and getting into something, and this is like, I don't, I can't remember if this is during it or the day after, he's like, I found my thing.

• 5:53Cameron Hanes?

  Really?

• 5:53Speaker 01

I was like, oh, that's awesome. Yeah.

• 5:55Cameron Hanes?

Well, you know, I don't want people to, I think it can almost be like hunting, where you see like everybody killing giant shit, right? And you're like, why can't I kill anything? Well, it's not everybody, you're just seeing it all. But it's the same thing with running. 52, 56, whatever, that's a long way. So don't, I don't want anybody thinking that that's not impressive.

• 6:17Speaker 01

  No.

• 6:18Cameron Hanes?

Just because we see Dowdell goes 500, and the guys in Belgium, whoever the fuck they are, go five further than that. But, hey, who cares?

• 6:26Speaker 01

  Yeah.

• 6:27Cameron Hanes?

  50 miles? I mean, I haven't run 50,000.

• 6:33Cameron Hanes?

  Oh, I did at Coca-Dona.

• 6:34Speaker 01

  Yeah.

• 6:34Cameron Hanes?

Yeah, it is like 60, but other than that, I hadn't done it.

• 6:37Speaker 01

  Yeah.

• 6:38Cameron Hanes?

  It's a long way.

• 6:39Speaker 01

It's a long way, and you know, as long as he's stoked with it, and he had fun, and he's proud of his effort, I don't really give a shit what anyone else says.

• 6:46Cameron Hanes?

  No.

• 6:46Speaker 01

Or what anyone else does. It's a personal journey, so, yeah.

• 6:50Cameron Hanes?

  Gotta remember that.

• 6:52Speaker 01

And we are, just so everyone knows, we put a Q and A up.

• 6:56Cameron Hanes?

Oh, yeah, that's right. We didn't.

• 6:58Speaker 01

  I did.

• 6:59Cameron Hanes?

  You did, yeah.

• 7:02Speaker 01

  Some classic.

• 7:03Cameron Hanes?

  Some doozies?

• 7:04Speaker 01

  Dog-human questions.

• 7:05Cameron Hanes?

  Oh, good.

• 7:06Speaker 01

You know, low IQ, so we're gonna get to them.

• 7:08Cameron Hanes?

I'm not gonna say what I want to say, because I can't.

• 7:11Speaker 01

I can't either, and I was gonna, it was on the tip of my tongue.

• 7:16Cameron Hanes?

So we'll just say, uh, low IQ.

• 7:19Speaker 01

  I think that's worse.

• 7:21Cameron Hanes?

  Because that's on a, I mean, that's a range.

• 7:24Speaker 01

  Yeah, it's a spectrum.

• 7:27Cameron Hanes?

That's a good word. You could be a genius.

• 7:31Speaker 01

  Genius.

• 7:32Cameron Hanes?

And send in low IQ questions, because like, compared to who?

• 7:36Speaker 01

Well, you, you want to know what the word genius reminds me of?

• 7:40Cameron Hanes?

  Yes, I do, I mean.

• 7:41Speaker 01

  Back in height, no.

• 7:43Cameron Hanes?

  No.

• 7:44Speaker 01

Back in high school, when we'd drive to lunch, we would play instrumental beats on the stereo, just, just beats, no, no rap lyrics or anything.

• 7:53Cameron Hanes?

You could rap to it. Yeah, freestyle.

• 7:59Speaker 01

  My go-to lyric was.

• 8:00Cameron Hanes?

Well, this isn't freestyle if you already had a lyric. It's gotta be off the dome, but anyway.

• 8:09Cameron Hanes?

Are you gonna get this out?

• 8:13Speaker 01

  I'm a lyrical genius with a 12-inch penis.

• 8:18Cameron Hanes?

I know, you got, it's like the is, is, is, is. Yeah, see, that's, that's how you do it.

• 8:25Speaker 01

  Yeah.

• 8:26Cameron Hanes?

  That's how you do it.

• 8:27Speaker 01

  What is that called, alliteration?

• 8:28Cameron Hanes?

  You're basically Eminem.

• 8:32Cameron Hanes?

  You're Slim Shady.

• 8:33Speaker 01

  Yeah.

• 8:35Speaker 01

Okay, so, we do also have to talk about, somebody is running the transcontinental, running across the United States. He's 20 days in, 1,368 miles. Cameron Dean Balzer.

• 8:50Cameron Hanes?

  Right, yep.

• 8:52Speaker 01

I mean, what is it, like 3,000 miles?

• 8:55Cameron Hanes?

  Yeah.

• 8:55Speaker 01

  So, and.

• 8:56Cameron Hanes?

  3,300.

• 8:57Speaker 01

  3,342 days.

• 8:59Cameron Hanes?

  Yeah.

• 8:59Speaker 01

  So maybe a little behind.

• 9:01Cameron Hanes?

Pete Kozelnik, who's talked shit to true before.

• 9:03Speaker 01

  Oh. Friend of the show.

• 9:06Cameron Hanes?

Yeah, we never forget. I think somebody learned that lesson.

• 9:12Speaker 01

Put it up on the board.

• 9:15Speaker 01

On just off-camera, we have a big board with everybody's names.

• 9:18Cameron Hanes?

  Got J-mail up there.

• 9:22Speaker 01

  Jay Bill?

• 9:25Cameron Hanes?

  Yeah.

• 9:26Speaker 01

Uh, oh, and we also have to say it's all love. We haven't said that yet.

• 9:31Cameron Hanes?

It should go without saying, I got something, I don't know what I had, a spider web on me. Um, should go without saying.

• 9:38Speaker 01

  Yeah.

• 9:39Cameron Hanes?

  It's all love.

• 9:39Speaker 01

Your hat says it's all mental. This is all love.

• 9:42Cameron Hanes?

  That's right. Yeah.

• 9:44Speaker 01

Anyways, what do you know about Cameron?

• 9:46Cameron Hanes?

Oh, I don't know. I mean, he's, I can't, I think we've corresponded a little bit on IG, but uh, yeah, he seems legit.

• 9:55Speaker 01

  Yeah.

• 9:56Cameron Hanes?

Frickin', so what's his per day? Did we do the math on that?

• 10:00Speaker 01

Yeah, let me just carry the one real quick.

• 10:02Cameron Hanes?

  Yeah.

• 10:07Speaker 01

  Sixty eight point four.

• 10:09Cameron Hanes?

I think, I mean, that'd do it. So do thirty three thousand divided by sixty eight.

• 10:15Speaker 01

  I'm gonna thirty three hundred.

• 10:17Cameron Hanes?

  Thirty three hundred.

• 10:19Speaker 01

It's forty eight and a half. And the record's forty two in six hours. It can't be thirty three hundred.

• 10:27Cameron Hanes?

  Okay, look it up.

• 10:31Cameron Hanes?

From LA to New York. I don't know what people do, what route they do.

• 10:35Speaker 01

Historically has been run from California to New York, starting in San Francisco and ending in New York. It is approximately three thousand miles.

• 10:43Cameron Hanes?

  Hmm.

• 10:44Speaker 01

So, we go back to the calculator?

• 10:47Cameron Hanes?

Three thousand divided by sixty eight?

• 10:49Speaker 01

  Forty four.

• 10:51Cameron Hanes?

  Yeah.

• 10:51Speaker 01

  A little behind.

• 10:52Cameron Hanes?

  Yeah, so, I don't know.

• 10:55Speaker 01

  So Cameron.

• 10:56Cameron Hanes?

  Pick it up.

• 10:57Speaker 01

If, you know, it's time to start digging deep.

• 11:01Cameron Hanes?

Anytime I've been in that situation, running across the country, what I've done is dig deep.

• 11:08Speaker 01

Yeah, and you're only twenty days in, it's time to dig deep.

• 11:11Cameron Hanes?

  Mm hmm.

• 11:11Speaker 01

You've only been doing sixty eight miles, so.

• 11:13Cameron Hanes?

  Be warmed up by now.

• 11:14Speaker 01

  Yeah, I would think so.

• 11:15Cameron Hanes?

  Everything should be loose.

• 11:16Speaker 01

Well, speaking of friend of the show.

• 11:18Cameron Hanes?

Real friend of the show or, or friend for, or which, which list?

• 11:23Speaker 01

The, the friend of the show.

• 11:25Cameron Hanes?

  Oh, oh, oh, okay, yeah.

• 11:27Speaker 01

Not a friend of the show. That's the difference.

• 11:28Cameron Hanes?

  Cuckaday?

• 11:29Speaker 01

  Cuckaday.

• 11:30Cameron Hanes?

  Yeah, what?

• 11:31Speaker 01

  He is doing Last Soul.

• 11:33Cameron Hanes?

  Okay, what does that mean?

• 11:35Speaker 01

Well, it means that I am also doing it.

• 11:37Cameron Hanes?

  Okay.

• 11:39Speaker 01

And so, I feel like I have to have a big sign on my tent that says free BPC here.

• 11:46Cameron Hanes?

Did you see those guys who had the BPC shirts?

• 11:49Speaker 01

They were at the race he was at, weren't they?

• 11:51Cameron Hanes?

  Oh.

• 11:52Speaker 01

I thought the camera like panned over to Sage.

• 11:53Cameron Hanes?

  Oh, did it?

• 11:54Speaker 01

  I thought so.

• 11:55Cameron Hanes?

I might not even watch the whole thing. I just shared it. I have a, I have a bad habit of liking and sharing stuff that I don't even really watch, so.

• 12:05Speaker 01

  Why would you?

• 12:06Cameron Hanes?

I didn't even, I didn't even know that. I just saw the shirts and I'm like, good enough.

• 12:10Speaker 01

Hey, I could've, I couldn't rec, I mean, maybe it wasn't him, but I thought that's what the whole point of it was, but.

• 12:14Cameron Hanes?

Did he have some weird fucked up mouth?

• 12:18Cameron Hanes?

  That's him.

• 12:18Speaker 01

  Yep, okay, that's.

• 12:23Cameron Hanes?

  It's all love.

• 12:24Speaker 01

  Well, that one.

• 12:26Cameron Hanes?

  Is that one not love?

• 12:27Speaker 01

Yeah, we've said that one's not love.

• 12:28Cameron Hanes?

Oh, okay, that is, that one's not love.

• 12:30Speaker 01

So that should be, I'm really excited to, to meet him and.

• 12:35Cameron Hanes?

  Collaborate.

• 12:35Speaker 01

  Shake. Shake it out.

• 12:39Cameron Hanes?

Yeah, you guys will really have a lot in common.

• 12:42Speaker 01

Yeah. Um, okay, the next thing, next shout out I have to give, we had a couple of shout outs here in the beginning, is to a friend of the show, dear, near, and to our hearts, Branlin. He uh, had part of his colon removed. That went well. He's fighting cancer, if you guys didn't know. He's gotta go back for some chemo, but they're still hopeful that it's completely beatable and he's gonna be all right, so.

• 13:06Cameron Hanes?

  Ooh.

• 13:06Speaker 01

  That's uh.

• 13:07Cameron Hanes?

  That's a relief.

• 13:07Speaker 01

It is, and, and I, I just wanted to shout him out because when I've talked to him, he's always like, yeah, I've been, I've been doing good. Like, his attitude is always just so good and I mean, that's a tough reality to face, so it's inspiring to see him kind of face it head on and he's just like, yeah, I had part of my colon removed, but I could be worse. It's like, oof.

• 13:27Cameron Hanes?

  Wow, that's an amazing attitude.

• 13:29Speaker 01

  Yeah.

• 13:30Cameron Hanes?

Yeah, that's Branlin Shockey. He um, he put together the film Once We Were Wolves,

• 13:35Speaker 01

  Yeah.

• 13:35Cameron Hanes?

which is very popular on my YouTube and incredible cameraman and talent and director and producer and all that, but all that aside, just an amazing person.

• 13:45Speaker 01

  Yeah.

• 13:46Cameron Hanes?

And, and I mean, a credit to humanity. If you know him, you're, you're better off than if you don't know him, so.

• 13:55Speaker 01

And then, before we get to the Q and A that everyone is so hungry for.

• 13:59Cameron Hanes?

  Mm hmm.

• 14:01Speaker 01

MKC is launching another Pack Out Skinner. They're restocking. There's some details in there that I was supposed to be sent but never received.

• 14:11Cameron Hanes?

  Okay.

• 14:12Speaker 01

  It goes live on Saturday.

• 14:13Cameron Hanes?

Saturday. Those Pack Out Skinnners are sick knives. That's all I know. So, I don't care about anything else other than they're a good knife.

• 14:20Speaker 01

  Yeah.

• 14:20Cameron Hanes?

They're, they do what they're supposed to do, and MKC is American made, cool people. Get one Saturday.

• 14:27Speaker 01

  There you go.

• 14:28Cameron Hanes?

Cause it shit sells out in about four seconds.

• 14:30Speaker 01

  All right.

• 14:30Cameron Hanes?

Well, wait, I got one other thing. We have a Bentley winner.

• 14:35Speaker 01

  Oh, that's right.

• 14:35Cameron Hanes?

  Did you know this?

• 14:36Speaker 01

  I did.

• 14:37Cameron Hanes?

Now, I, I think it's, okay, so it hasn't been announced, announced, but I know we've got the top three final, this whole sweepstakes thing, I don't know. So I hire a sweepstakes company. This one has taken a while, and I don't know why.

• 14:51Speaker 01

  Yeah.

• 14:51Cameron Hanes?

I'm not sure why it's taking, usually doesn't take this long, but we follow all the rules, all the laws, all that other bullshit.

• 14:57Speaker 01

I think there's extra paperwork when you're bankrupting somebody with the, with the wedding.

• 15:00Cameron Hanes?

That's, okay, that's what's taking longer. Anyway, this kid doesn't know he's gonna be bankrupt.

• 15:08Cameron Hanes?

  So he's all excited.

• 15:10Speaker 01

  What an idiot.

• 15:12Cameron Hanes?

No, I'm, I'm, I mean, I hope it checks out and uh, wait, did I say top three? So we don't really know the kid, but I think, I think we do know, but maybe we said top, I, I don't know.

• 15:24Speaker 01

  Well, here's how it works.

• 15:25Cameron Hanes?

  Hmm.

• 15:26Speaker 01

Because of the legitimacy and we go by the book, there's gotta be three, and you gotta have A, B, and three.

• 15:37Cameron Hanes?

  Yeah.

• 15:37Speaker 01

  And then.

• 15:38Cameron Hanes?

And you need ten uh, cereal box tops with the UPC code.

• 15:44Cameron Hanes?

And from fruity pe, or any of the fruity pebble line, blueberries.

• 15:48Speaker 01

  Kellogg.

• 15:48Cameron Hanes?

Kellogg, right, so you gotta send those in, and we haven't received those yet. So of the fi, three finals, whoever gets those UPC codes in.

• 15:58Speaker 01

  Yes.

• 15:58Cameron Hanes?

  That's what we're waiting on.

• 15:59Speaker 01

Whoever has the most box tops. What the fuck were box tops?

• 16:02Cameron Hanes?

  I don't even know.

• 16:02Speaker 01

What would you get for them?

• 16:05Cameron Hanes?

  I'd like trinkets.

• 16:06Speaker 01

  Really?

• 16:07Cameron Hanes?

Yeah, prizes, prizes, yeah. I don't know, but I think I might have done it off Pop Tarts or some.

• 16:14Speaker 01

I remember having a little Ziploc bag with them, and I'd bring them into school. I don't remember doing anything with them. I just knew they were popular, you know?

• 16:22Cameron Hanes?

Yeah, it's, I don't know, there's some, there's some scams when you're a kid, like, remember the book?

• 16:29Speaker 01

  Book fair?

• 16:30Cameron Hanes?

Yeah, and you'd have to go sell subscriptions. Remember that? And I don't even know what you got from it, probably nothing, but all these, these, well, we, don't we hate, what do we hate? We hate people who make money. Aren't they the enemy?

• 16:45Speaker 01

  Yep.

• 16:45Cameron Hanes?

  What is that called?

• 16:47Speaker 01

  Capitalism?

• 16:47Cameron Hanes?

  Yes.

• 16:48Speaker 01

  We hate capitalism.

• 16:49Cameron Hanes?

No, we hate capitalism, yeah. So, we were just a bunch of little child slaves, helping.

• 16:55Speaker 01

  That's where it started.

• 16:57Cameron Hanes?

CEOs make just a shitload of money by doing their little, making our moms buy a bunch of shit and, and send it in, and they just would throw in the garbage. Fucking little dumb kid.

• 17:09Speaker 01

I remember the book fair, all the kids, you'd have to like order what you wanted before, and then you'd go in, you could pick up your books.

• 17:16Cameron Hanes?

  Mm hmm.

• 17:17Speaker 01

But we were too poor, so I never got any books, so I'd go in there and steal them.

• 17:21Cameron Hanes?

Okay, hey, whatever works. It all comes down to the, hey, they got that, there's a line item for that.

• 17:26Speaker 01

  Yeah.

• 17:26Cameron Hanes?

  Isn't there?

• 17:27Speaker 01

What's the rule where you can't get in trouble retroactively, oh, after a certain amount of time?

• 17:31Cameron Hanes?

Yeah, it's a statute of limitations.

• 17:33Speaker 01

Statute of limitations, so, run that one back.

• 17:37Cameron Hanes?

  Yeah.

• 17:37Speaker 01

  You'll never catch me.

• 17:38Cameron Hanes?

  Yeah, fuck y'all.

• 17:40Speaker 01

  The book fair burglar.

• 17:44Cameron Hanes?

  Yeah.

• 17:45Speaker 01

  Okay, here we go.

• 17:46Cameron Hanes?

All right. Oh, we got some, man, did some highlighting and shit. This is gonna be good.

• 17:54Speaker 01

We got from Lindsay Label, Lebel.

• 17:58Cameron Hanes?

  Okay.

• 18:00Speaker 01

Will Sage grow a pair and say it to y'all's face at Last Soul? Well, I kinda talked about that. I would love for him to. Sage, if you're listening, catch me outside. How about that?

• 18:11Cameron Hanes?

It's all love, Sage. Even for a dork like you, who gives a fuck?

• 18:19Speaker 01

Is Cam running Last Soul, or has he fallen off?

• 18:23Cameron Hanes?

Definitely fallen off. There's like, is there an age limit there?

• 18:28Speaker 01

  Yeah, I think so.

• 18:29Cameron Hanes?

Cause I mean, for liability, there's no way they could have somebody my age out there.

• 18:35Speaker 01

  Here's a good one.

• 18:36Cameron Hanes?

  Okay.

• 18:39Speaker 01

This is from Noah's Ark twenty one.

• 18:41Cameron Hanes?

  Yeah.

• 18:42Speaker 01

That last one was from Joshua Majeris, by the way.

• 18:44Cameron Hanes?

  Oh, good.

• 18:44Speaker 01

  Noah's Ark twenty one asks,

• 18:48Speaker 01

if you were three inches deep in Cam, and your uncle was three inches deep in you.

• 18:57Speaker 01

  What are you doing?

• 19:02Speaker 01

  Oh, that's a good one.

• 19:04Cameron Hanes?

So what was it, was there a question?

• 19:06Speaker 01

He just wanted to know what I would do. Do I go backwards or forwards?

• 19:10Cameron Hanes?

Oh, oh, yeah, wow, that's, that's actually disgusting.

• 19:14Speaker 01

I think I'm gonna go backwards because my uncle is what I'm used to.

• 19:19Cameron Hanes?

  I, I don't even, why am I visualizing that?

• 19:25Cameron Hanes?

That's the thing, it's just like, when somebody says, don't think about an elephant, it's like, well, fuck.

• 19:32Speaker 01

Now I'm thinking about an elephant.

• 19:33Cameron Hanes?

Yeah, so, don't say weird shit to me. How about that?

• 19:37Speaker 01

Um, someone wants to know, a fuck, marry, kill for Cam.

• 19:43Speaker 01

Elk hunting, bear hunting, sheep hunting. That's from Chris Michael B. You did put running in there, but I thought that was dumb, so I changed it out with sheep hunting.

• 19:50Cameron Hanes?

Hmm, and I can, I'll see.

• 19:56Cameron Hanes?

  I'd probably, fuck that question.

• 20:05Cameron Hanes?

  I'm the host.

• 20:06Speaker 01

WZ Stu asks, when's the next solo pod coming out? So I know not to listen.

• 20:15Cameron Hanes?

That's actually good. That's actually good. That's what we need to warn people of. Not that it's coming or not. Yeah, not like an update, just so they can not waste time.

• 20:25Speaker 01

  Yeah, don't listen to this.

• 20:27Cameron Hanes?

Does this one have ca- oh, no caffeine. Okay.

• 20:31Speaker 01

  Ad break. Oh.

• 20:34Cameron Hanes?

  What?

• 20:34Speaker 01

Ad break, but it's a gift break. I forgot till I just looked down.

• 20:39Speaker 01

  I got goodies again.

• 20:42Speaker 01

This is from our friend Dakota. And you have seen Truitt wearing this hat, Rory wearing this hat.

• 20:50Cameron Hanes?

  Is this a?

• 20:51Speaker 01

Now Dakota, you make a good hat.

• 20:54Speaker 01

What is this handwriting? It is, I mean.

• 20:57Cameron Hanes?

  Dude, I can't write, so I can't, I can't say shit.

• 21:00Speaker 01

  I can't either, but.

• 21:01Cameron Hanes?

I forgot. I never could write and now I've never, I haven't written in years.

• 21:06Speaker 01

He wrote some obligatory bullshit about me. Then he says, Cam, thank you for inspiring me to work harder as a dad. Thank you for putting out such rad content and showing what it's like to be true to yourself and God. I really resonate with your thinking and perspectives. God bless. Honored to send you guys some gear.

• 21:23Cameron Hanes?

  Nice. What was his name?

• 21:25Speaker 01

  Dakota.

• 21:25Cameron Hanes?

  All right, cool.

• 21:26Speaker 01

  And this is from.

• 21:27Cameron Hanes?

  Thank you, Dakota.

• 21:28Speaker 01

  Sunday Best.

• 21:29Cameron Hanes?

  Oh shit.

• 21:30Speaker 01

  Yeah, pretty cool.

• 21:30Cameron Hanes?

So what is this? Sunday Best Running?

• 21:32Speaker 01

  So.

• 21:33Cameron Hanes?

  Is this his brand?

• 21:34Speaker 01

Yeah, and he just makes them right there in his living room, which is a small brand and he sent you a shirt too.

• 21:39Cameron Hanes?

  Yeah, nice.

• 21:40Speaker 01

Kind of cool. I like it.

• 21:42Cameron Hanes?

What? So was there a shortage of material?

• 21:47Speaker 01

  That's called the crop top.

• 21:48Cameron Hanes?

  Oh, really?

• 21:50Speaker 01

You ever wear those back in the football days?

• 21:51Cameron Hanes?

I did, yeah. Actually, I mean, if you, like our practice jerseys, like with the mesh, you know, half, the half shirts kinda?

• 21:59Speaker 01

I never played on the football team, but I just always liked looking at the guys that wore those.

• 22:02Cameron Hanes?

You were a cheerleader though, weren't you? This is actually kind of cool. I liked it.

• 22:06Speaker 01

  It's super cool.

• 22:07Cameron Hanes?

Cause I cut off hoodies, you know, and cut off, and some t-shirts because you got all that extra fucking material down there. That's sick dude, Sunday Best Running.

• 22:16Speaker 01

  I know.

• 22:17Cameron Hanes?

  Yeah.

• 22:17Speaker 01

Super nice. He's a really nice guy and he's a big fan of shit talkers, so.

• 22:21Cameron Hanes?

Okay, well, there's one. We got one fan.

• 22:23Speaker 01

  One fan.

• 22:24Cameron Hanes?

I'm wearing that shit. Thanks Dakota.

• 22:27Speaker 01

Would you rather, this is from Nico Lowberg, would you rather piss in a cup for USADA? Or do six and a half out of seven Ironmans and post?

• 22:43Cameron Hanes?

  Oh boy.

• 22:44Speaker 01

That's a deep cut right there.

• 22:46Cameron Hanes?

I mean, okay, let's, gotta be honest.

• 22:50Speaker 01

  Yep.

• 22:51Cameron Hanes?

I don't give a fuck about either. I would do, I would do, I mean, I, I think I could do, I don't know, I've never done an Ironman. So that, that sounds fun.

• 23:00Speaker 01

I don't know what you like in the water, but if you're comfortable swimming, you could.

• 23:04Cameron Hanes?

Yeah, no, I, I used to swim a lot, but uh, yeah, I'd, I'd like to try that and piss, I don't give a fuck about USADA. Yeah, I'll piss, I'll piss in a cup. What the, they're gonna say, fuck, you're low on tea now, cause you're not doing any?

• 23:18Speaker 01

I told him I, and I'm not gonna use his name because I told him I wouldn't and I told him I wasn't gonna tell this story, but it's too good not to share on this podcast.

• 23:25Cameron Hanes?

Okay. I use Ketone IQ when I need to stay sharp for the long haul. Long runs, lifting before I shoot my bow, even when I'm podcasting, anytime I want steady focus without crashing. What I like about it is how it feels. It helps me stay locked in during long efforts and mentally demanding sessions. Not jittery, not wired, just clear and steady. Ketones are your brain's preferred fuel source, so instead of that spiked caffeine feeling, the focus feels calm and controlled. It lets me push without leaning on caffeine or sugar. I'm not chasing another cup of coffee or something sweet just to get through a workout or a long day.

• 24:09Cameron Hanes?

I can train, work and think without that roller coaster of energy. Physically, I feel ready to go. Mentally, I'm locked in. That combination matters when you're putting in long hours and real work. Visit ketone.com backslash cam for 30% off your subscription order, plus receive a free gift with your second shipment. Or find Ketone IQ at Target stores nationwide in the hydration and protein aisle and get your first shot free. One of the hardest parts of hunting is glassing big country to find animals you know are there. That's why I run Sig Sauer Zulu imaging stabilizing binoculars when I'm covering a lot of ground and need to see everything.

• 24:52Cameron Hanes?

These binos are a complete game changer. After long climbs, when your heart rate's up and your hands aren't steady, shaky glass makes it hard to stay locked in. With image stabilization, everything settles down. You can slow the process, really pick apart the country and catch movement you normally miss. I've found more animals and saved a ton of time because of these binos. I actually just talked about how impressive this technology is on the most recent episode of the Joe Rogan Experience. Once you use stabilized glass, it's hard to go back. It gives you a real advantage when you're hunting big, open terrain.

• 25:30Cameron Hanes?

And here's the rare part, optics companies almost never offer discounts, but Sig is giving listeners of this podcast 10% off. Just use code CAM at checkout. So if you're serious about glassing and want the same edge I've had the past couple of seasons, head to sigsauer.com, grab a pair of Zulu binos and use code CAM for 10% off. Sig Sauer Zulu Binoculars. See more, miss less, keep hammering.

• 25:59Speaker 01

  So a friend of mine.

• 26:03Speaker 01

And I'll leave it at that.

• 26:05Cameron Hanes?

  That's a story?

• 26:07Speaker 01

  No.

• 26:07Cameron Hanes?

  Oh.

• 26:09Cameron Hanes?

  That's a really good story.

• 26:10Speaker 01

I had a date last night with a girl who was extremely.

• 26:15Cameron Hanes?

You don't have any friends. What are you talking about? Everybody knows we're talking about.

• 26:25Cameron Hanes?

But anyway, it's anonymous. We don't know who it is. It could be anybody.

• 26:29Speaker 01

  Yeah.

• 26:31Cameron Hanes?

  Could be Dante Moore.

• 26:32Speaker 01

  Yeah, exactly.

• 26:33Cameron Hanes?

  Right.

• 26:34Speaker 01

He had a date last night with a woman who was extremely emo and goth. Piercings all over the face, tattoos, black hair.

• 26:46Speaker 01

  And. She spent the night.

• 26:51Cameron Hanes?

  Sleepover.

• 26:52Speaker 01

Had a tattoo of Satan on her thigh.

• 26:57Cameron Hanes?

Well, how'd you know she spent the night?

• 27:03Cameron Hanes?

  Oh, your friend told you?

• 27:04Speaker 01

  Yeah, my friend told me.

• 27:05Cameron Hanes?

  Yeah, you didn't see her.

• 27:06Speaker 01

  Yeah.

• 27:07Cameron Hanes?

  This morning.

• 27:07Speaker 01

Well. Anyways, after, and I, and then I did see him this morning later on.

• 27:14Cameron Hanes?

Later, after you got up and left your house.

• 27:16Speaker 01

And he told me about this run in and I jokingly said, you know, you should get some sage to get the evil spirits out of the house.

• 27:24Cameron Hanes?

  Right, yeah.

• 27:25Speaker 01

Well, then he disappeared for three to four hours and eventually came, then he went.

• 27:31Cameron Hanes?

  Comes back with sage?

• 27:32Speaker 01

Well, he went back home to where he lives, not with me.

• 27:36Cameron Hanes?

  Right.

• 27:37Speaker 01

  With the sage.

• 27:40Cameron Hanes?

Is this, I mean, I don't know, is this the same friend who fucked some girl in Iraq in Portland?

• 27:47Cameron Hanes?

  I mean, I don't know. I, I know you got a bunch of friends.

• 27:54Speaker 01

  Could be, might not be.

• 27:56Cameron Hanes?

  Hard to say.

• 27:57Speaker 01

  Hard to say.

• 27:58Cameron Hanes?

Could be anybody. Could be Chip Kelly.

• 28:05Speaker 01

It was, it was the wide receiver for the Oregon Ducks.

• 28:07Cameron Hanes?

  Yeah.

• 28:08Speaker 01

Well, yeah, he blessed the house with his little sage ritual.

• 28:11Cameron Hanes?

After he got his DUI. Okay. That got dropped by the way.

• 28:16Speaker 01

  Yep.

• 28:18Cameron Hanes?

So what's the, what's the atmosphere of the house now? Is it?

• 28:21Speaker 01

  Oh, it's.

• 28:22Cameron Hanes?

  Pretty pure?

• 28:23Speaker 01

Well, what I did is I channeled my ancestors.

• 28:29Cameron Hanes?

Nice, you did your own. Okay.

• 28:31Speaker 01

Yeah, no, it's, the, the atmosphere is good, from what I've heard.

• 28:35Cameron Hanes?

Yeah. What was the, uh, tell me about the Satan tattoo. What was that?

• 28:44Speaker 01

Apparently she also practices witchcraft and so it's not really like, well, she doesn't worship Satan, but you know, that's, there's a group of people.

• 28:54Cameron Hanes?

  Inspiration?

• 28:54Speaker 01

  Yes.

• 29:00Cameron Hanes?

  Okay.

• 29:00Speaker 01

So that friend who is anonymous.

• 29:03Cameron Hanes?

Yeah, of course. I don't have, I have no idea who you're talking about.

• 29:07Speaker 01

Um, you know, we're, it's gonna be okay.

• 29:11Cameron Hanes?

  It's not.

• 29:13Speaker 01

  No.

• 29:16Cameron Hanes?

  Cause that's.

• 29:21Speaker 01

A different friend of mine, Eric.

• 29:24Cameron Hanes?

Please, this is a plea to the public.

• 29:27Speaker 01

  Yes.

• 29:28Cameron Hanes?

Do not listen to this podcast.

• 29:30Speaker 01

Stop now. Do not continue further.

• 29:32Cameron Hanes?

Please. You're not, you're hurting yourself.

• 29:35Speaker 01

  We're begging.

• 29:36Cameron Hanes?

Yeah, we're begging you to stop.

• 29:37Speaker 01

  Yeah.

• 29:38Cameron Hanes?

  Just like your uncle.

• 29:43Speaker 01

Okay, next question. Sam, Sam O. Canola, I got some interesting stories about canola oil, but we're not gonna go there.

• 29:52Cameron Hanes?

  Okay.

• 29:53Speaker 01

He's this jack bodybuilder who now lifts, really nice guy, but he keeps asking me how much my invite to Last Soul cost.

• 30:02Cameron Hanes?

What are you fucking talking about?

• 30:04Speaker 01

Here's, I gotta make a public service announcement.

• 30:06Cameron Hanes?

I heard, somebody said, I did a little thing for Dre's and how much did I get paid for that? It's like, do you dumb fucks know how the real world works?

• 30:15Speaker 01

Yeah. Here's how the real world works.

• 30:17Cameron Hanes?

  Okay.

• 30:18Speaker 01

I'm the worst runner that's been invited so far. I have no backyard, uh, not finishes, results. I've only run up to a hundred K and I'm an elite athlete and I deserve to.

• 30:33Cameron Hanes?

  Yeah, and fuck you all.

• 30:35Speaker 01

  Yeah, fuck y'all.

• 30:37Cameron Hanes?

Well, obviously you got invited for your social media presence, because how many followers are you at now?

• 30:42Speaker 01

Um, a lot. It's too many to count.

• 30:45Cameron Hanes?

I mean, you don't have to count because they keep track of it.

• 30:47Speaker 01

Right. It's, you just know it's a lot.

• 30:50Cameron Hanes?

It's, I mean, is there a number that goes that high?

• 30:53Speaker 01

Yeah. And the thing is, is like, even if it doesn't appear a lot, I have a really active audience, really engaged.

• 30:59Cameron Hanes?

  Oh, high engagement.

• 31:01Speaker 01

  High engagement.

• 31:02Cameron Hanes?

  For your 200 followers.

• 31:04Speaker 01

  Exactly.

• 31:08Speaker 01

This is from a Connor L. Westlake. He says.

• 31:11Cameron Hanes?

  Wait.

• 31:12Speaker 01

  Connor Larry Connor.

• 31:13Cameron Hanes?

  Connor Larry Connor.

• 31:14Speaker 01

He says, fuck you, you slimy fuck, flat Stanley, two by four looking.

• 31:23Cameron Hanes?

  Is that the question?

• 31:25Speaker 01

  Yes. My answer is yes.

• 31:27Cameron Hanes?

Yeah, it's all of the above.

• 31:29Speaker 01

The problem was I put up questions or get fucked and a lot of people just say they'd rather get fucked.

• 31:34Cameron Hanes?

  Oh, I, yeah.

• 31:36Speaker 01

Oh, people want to know, any plans for a third book?

• 31:38Cameron Hanes?

  A third book?

• 31:38Speaker 01

Well, you obviously have more than three. Do you have four, five, four? So any plans for a fifth book?

• 31:46Cameron Hanes?

Well, that tells me they're two books behind.

• 31:49Speaker 01

  Yeah.

• 31:49Cameron Hanes?

  So fucking catch up.

• 31:50Speaker 01

  Joe Rowe.

• 31:52Cameron Hanes?

Bony Trophy Blacktail, 1999. Backcountry bow hunting, A Guide to the Wild Side, 2006.

• 31:59Speaker 01

  Backdoor Sluts 9, 2009.

• 32:00Cameron Hanes?

  Backdoor Sluts 9.

• 32:05Cameron Hanes?

  That was a film.

• 32:06Speaker 01

  Good housekeeping.

• 32:07Cameron Hanes?

I didn't do the audio for that.

• 32:11Cameron Hanes?

So yeah, check out that film.

• 32:14Cameron Hanes?

Endure 2022, undeniable. I don't know when that was. Um, but.

• 32:21Cameron Hanes?

Um, I mean, my plans for right now is I'm hoping I die. Soon as possible.

• 32:30Cameron Hanes?

So I don't have to worry about any of this shit. Does that answer the question?

• 32:34Speaker 01

  So, yes, third book.

• 32:39Speaker 01

  First book coming out soon.

• 32:43Speaker 01

Masternator wants to know, Gideon, please share your daily routine on how to become the weakest twink. A lot of people have been, a lot of people have been wondering. A lot of people have been sending me messages, asking.

• 32:56Cameron Hanes?

This is how people start their videos that nobody asks about that they just want to talk about.

• 33:00Speaker 01

Right, but that's not true for me.

• 33:02Cameron Hanes?

  No.

• 33:02Speaker 01

So what I am gonna propose is hit that comment.

• 33:06Cameron Hanes?

  Smash that.

• 33:33Cameron Hanes?

Fucking try not to piss on the wall in the back of the toilet. Are you been, why is that? Why, why does that?

• 33:42Speaker 01

  Laying horizontally.

• 33:44Cameron Hanes?

No, I gotta lean, I gotta like.

• 33:48Cameron Hanes?

My, have my feet away. No, like, and lean on the wall to get the angle right. It's like, why is that? Is that a design flaw?

• 33:58Speaker 01

  I think it might be.

• 33:59Cameron Hanes?

  That's weird.

• 34:01Speaker 01

  The vicious piss boner.

• 34:03Cameron Hanes?

  It's a catch 22.

• 34:06Speaker 01

  You know, sometimes it hurts.

• 34:08Cameron Hanes?

Yeah, and so, could somebody get to the bottom of that?

• 34:11Speaker 01

  Can we fix this? Kim.

• 34:14Cameron Hanes?

Or could somebody come clean the piss off my wall? Fuck.

• 34:22Speaker 01

Here's another fun one. What's the most impactful lesson you've learned?

• 34:28Speaker 01

Give us one, give us your best piece of wisdom.

• 34:32Cameron Hanes?

  Mine?

• 34:33Speaker 01

Yeah, and then I'll share mine. I'm gonna come up with a quote.

• 34:36Cameron Hanes?

My best piece of wisdom, um.

• 34:44Cameron Hanes?

  Well, you go first.

• 34:44Speaker 01

Okay. You can't, and I'm coming up with this. I'm coming up with this, okay? You can't dream of the stars if you're afraid of the dark.

• 34:59Cameron Hanes?

  That's.

• 35:00Speaker 01

  Remember that.

• 35:02Cameron Hanes?

  That is, yeah, I mean.

• 35:05Speaker 01

  Profound.

• 35:07Cameron Hanes?

What I was gonna say is that is one of the gayest things I've ever heard.

• 35:13Cameron Hanes?

  What I, my, my wisdom.

• 35:16Speaker 01

Aim for the moon, land in the star. Sorry, go ahead.

• 35:20Cameron Hanes?

Yeah, yeah. Well, you reminded me of mine.

• 35:23Speaker 01

  Oh.

• 35:24Cameron Hanes?

That was good. Um, mine is, I think it's, don't piss in the wind.

• 35:31Speaker 01

  I love that one. Yeah.

• 35:33Cameron Hanes?

  That's.

• 35:33Speaker 01

  Remember that.

• 35:34Cameron Hanes?

I don't even, wisdom? What is wisdom? I don't know what wisdom is.

• 35:40Speaker 01

If you piss in the wind, you better have a blanket.

• 35:44Cameron Hanes?

  Rain gear on.

• 35:45Speaker 01

  Yeah.

• 35:47Cameron Hanes?

  I don't know. I don't have any fucking wisdom. I know that.

• 35:52Cameron Hanes?

  Use a sharp knife.

• 35:53Speaker 01

A lot of, you know what? And this is why they selected me, because a lot of people want to know about the backyard ultra. There's so many, so many questions. Someone wants to know what my goal is.

• 36:02Cameron Hanes?

What is it? To beat Sage?

• 36:04Speaker 01

Well, yeah, my number one goal is not to be the first person out.

• 36:08Speaker 01

  This is gonna be.

• 36:09Cameron Hanes?

I hate to break it to you, I don't think you're gonna beat Sage.

• 36:13Speaker 01

Yeah, I don't think so either.

• 36:15Cameron Hanes?

  Because.

• 36:16Speaker 01

Some, some news has come on. What's the, um.

• 36:19Cameron Hanes?

  Yeah.

• 36:19Speaker 01

  What's the thing?

• 36:19Cameron Hanes?

Ticker tape, ticker? Oh, Morse code?

• 36:23Speaker 01

Morse code, but there's a name for the.

• 36:26Speaker 01

Thing that they use to send.

• 36:27Cameron Hanes?

He's, I, I mean, every, we should know because he loves to remind everybody, he's a great runner.

• 36:33Speaker 01

Yeah, I can't take that away from him.

• 36:35Cameron Hanes?

No. So, yeah, I don't, and you're not a great runner.

• 36:41Speaker 01

There's plenty of adjectives that we could use to describe me.

• 36:44Cameron Hanes?

Well, right, we'll just go with not great.

• 36:47Speaker 01

  Yeah, exactly.

• 36:47Cameron Hanes?

  A hundred percent. So.

• 36:49Speaker 01

I might be the best, but I'm just not great.

• 36:53Cameron Hanes?

  So.

• 36:54Speaker 01

  What's the Venn diagram?

• 36:56Cameron Hanes?

Yeah, if we have the, yeah, I don't know.

• 36:59Speaker 01

The Venn diagram of me beating Sage and me running the backyard ultra, that Venn diagram, they don't quite touch in the middle. There's no overlap.

• 37:09Cameron Hanes?

Well, no, no, no. If you define beating as beating him off. There would be, you could. There's a, there's a window there. So it's just. It's just how we're gonna.

• 37:25Speaker 01

  Navigate.

• 37:26Cameron Hanes?

  Yes, yes.

• 37:28Speaker 01

  Yes.

• 37:30Cameron Hanes?

Okay, so yeah, we just gotta work on the semantics.

• 37:33Speaker 01

Semantics in the, uh, uh, yeah, schematics.

• 37:38Cameron Hanes?

Yeah, so right, so stay tuned for that.

• 37:41Speaker 01

  Yeah.

• 37:41Cameron Hanes?

Because that might be, if you guys get back in time on a lap, maybe you'd have enough time to give him a rub and tug.

• 37:49Speaker 01

  Come here.

• 37:51Cameron Hanes?

  Come here, you rascal.

• 38:00Cameron Hanes?

I don't know how useful that discussion part is.

• 38:03Speaker 01

  I think it's.

• 38:04Cameron Hanes?

  Very pertinent.

• 38:05Speaker 01

Yeah, pertinent. That's that key to you take that key tone. All of a sudden you got words coming out your ass.

• 38:11Cameron Hanes?

  Yeah.

• 38:11Speaker 01

This question is from Joseph C. Rogan.

• 38:15Cameron Hanes?

Hmm. Joe, what's up? What does he got?

• 38:18Speaker 01

  Is this your second account?

• 38:21Cameron Hanes?

Yeah, a burner. They call that a burner account.

• 38:24Speaker 01

And he asked a great question. Another backyard question. What mile do you think you'll drop Mark Dowdell at?

• 38:32Speaker 01

Um, I'm humble. Um, I don't like to brag, so.

• 38:39Speaker 01

You know, we'll let Mark answer that one.

• 38:41Cameron Hanes?

I, man, you know what I think? These backyard is like, they're so freaking good now.

• 38:51Cameron Hanes?

Do I want to go and just be like, be five days? I, I don't even think I can, but to potentially compete?

• 39:01Speaker 01

  I was thinking about this.

• 39:02Cameron Hanes?

You go, you're going at least 300 miles.

• 39:05Speaker 01

  Yeah.

• 39:05Cameron Hanes?

  That is so far.

• 39:08Speaker 01

  I'm not.

• 39:10Cameron Hanes?

  I'm not either.

• 39:11Speaker 01

  I'm not going 300 miles.

• 39:12Cameron Hanes?

Could, but it's like, if I was just looking at this now, like, when you needed to be in it, when people are winning, like, with 120 miles.

• 39:20Speaker 01

  I missed the train.

• 39:21Cameron Hanes?

Yeah, that seemed, oh, hey, kid, this might be fun.

• 39:24Speaker 01

  Oh, yeah. Fun little hobby.

• 39:25Cameron Hanes?

  Yeah, this is fun.

• 39:27Speaker 01

  I'm kind of tough.

• 39:28Cameron Hanes?

You gotta take a week off work?

• 39:30Speaker 01

  Dude.

• 39:30Cameron Hanes?

Just to run and never sleep?

• 39:33Speaker 01

  Yeah.

• 39:33Cameron Hanes?

These guys are machines. So the barrier to entry now, I mean, the entry, you can get in.

• 39:39Speaker 01

  Yeah.

• 39:39Cameron Hanes?

But if you want to compete?

• 39:42Cameron Hanes?

  God, these guys are machines.

• 39:44Speaker 01

Well, and that's why I'm not, I'm not going to go the full distances. I just can't take that much off of work.

• 39:48Cameron Hanes?

First, you're, yeah, yeah. I mean, you have.

• 39:51Speaker 01

  I got stuff to do.

• 39:51Cameron Hanes?

  Work obligations.

• 39:52Speaker 01

  Exactly.

• 39:53Cameron Hanes?

  Yeah.

• 39:53Speaker 01

  Exactly.

• 39:54Cameron Hanes?

  Well, and I appreciate that.

• 39:56Speaker 01

  Um.

• 39:58Cameron Hanes?

You got that sheet film, which turned out so good.

• 40:00Speaker 01

  People loved it.

• 40:01Cameron Hanes?

  They did.

• 40:02Speaker 01

That people loved it. Um, yeah. Oh, here's a good one.

• 40:08Cameron Hanes?

  Yeah.

• 40:08Speaker 01

Vosso asks, and I, I think our answers will be different, but what gauge size is your Prince Albert, Albert piercing?

• 40:17Cameron Hanes?

Uh, is that on your taint or where is that?

• 40:20Speaker 01

I think that's on your penis.

• 40:22Cameron Hanes?

  It is?

• 40:22Speaker 01

Do you not have yours? I, I was told this is a requirement of the job.

• 40:28Cameron Hanes?

Well, no, I took mine out and it, and it closed up.

• 40:32Speaker 01

  Oh.

• 40:33Cameron Hanes?

But does that happen? Cause I, like, I still have a hole in my ear from when I had that earring.

• 40:38Speaker 01

I think you gotta break that, bring that back.

• 40:41Cameron Hanes?

  Yeah, I don't, I don't, I'm not big on the dick piercings. I mean.

• 40:47Speaker 01

  Not when you've seen them.

• 40:49Cameron Hanes?

  You know.

• 40:49Speaker 01

  Not a huge fan.

• 40:51Cameron Hanes?

You know, he'd be getting one now, because he's in his goth, his goth era.

• 40:57Speaker 01

  Beef that.

• 40:59Cameron Hanes?

No, that's right. Not. Your other friend that you live with.

• 41:09Speaker 01

Uh, do you know who Diggs Ultra is?

• 41:12Cameron Hanes?

  Yeah.

• 41:13Speaker 01

  Yeah.

• 41:13Cameron Hanes?

I think so. He's like a blonde kid.

• 41:15Speaker 01

Yeah, he does, uh, talks like, does little videos online about Ultra. Him and I have beef.

• 41:20Cameron Hanes?

  Hmm.

• 41:22Speaker 01

Because he's going to be my number one rival at Lassol.

• 41:25Cameron Hanes?

  Really?

• 41:26Speaker 01

  Yeah.

• 41:27Cameron Hanes?

  Why?

• 41:28Speaker 01

Because he asked who's my biggest op at Lassol. So why not pick him?

• 41:32Cameron Hanes?

  It's him. Yeah.

• 41:34Speaker 01

  Careful what you wish for.

• 41:35Cameron Hanes?

It seems like everybody in the world is invited. If they got to you.

• 41:40Speaker 01

That's a long list of people you gotta get to. And I think, like, when I got the invite, it, it said I could go to any of them. And obviously I'm going to go to Tennessee, but I think it seems like everybody's going to Tennessee.

• 41:53Cameron Hanes?

It seems like I didn't see anybody lobbying harder than you to get in.

• 41:58Speaker 01

  It seems like. Begging.

• 42:01Cameron Hanes?

It seems like they were like, what the, could this, how do we make this fucker quit tagging us?

• 42:09Speaker 01

Seems like everyone was given their invite on their merits. I was given mine as a gag order.

• 42:15Cameron Hanes?

  I didn't ask and I didn't want one and I got one.

• 42:18Speaker 01

And I did ask and I couldn't get one and then I finally got one.

• 42:21Cameron Hanes?

But what I've decided is, I know they're all sold out probably. I know they're whatever. I'm taking highest bidder. You want me to appear? Write a check.

• 42:33Speaker 01

  I like that.

• 42:34Cameron Hanes?

Appearance fee. Is that what you're gonna do now?

• 42:36Speaker 01

Yeah, yeah. Actually, can I amend my invitation? And I think also, um, because you're going to crew me, obviously, right?

• 42:46Cameron Hanes?

  Yeah, of course.

• 42:46Speaker 01

  Yeah, for those.

• 42:47Cameron Hanes?

I'm a big cruiser. I've done a lot of that.

• 42:52Speaker 01

Um. People want to know when you're bringing back the mustache. Did you have a mustache?

• 42:57Cameron Hanes?

Yeah, when I was like 12.

• 43:01Speaker 01

My, my uncle used to put a mustache on.

• 43:05Cameron Hanes?

I mean, my mustache is about like moms have.

• 43:11Cameron Hanes?

Back in the day, like before they used to get that lasered and waxed, like old moms had mustaches. That's what mine is like.

• 43:20Speaker 01

My uncle puts two googly eyes below my belly button.

• 43:27Speaker 01

And then he says he's got to talk to the mayor.

• 43:31Cameron Hanes?

  Talk to the who?

• 43:32Speaker 01

  The mayor.

• 43:35Cameron Hanes?

Okay. Yeah. I think this should be safe for counseling.

• 43:43Speaker 01

  Of Taint Town.

• 43:48Cameron Hanes?

The mayor of Taint Town. That took a while to get out.

• 43:54Cameron Hanes?

So you're the mayor? Or who is the mayor?

• 43:57Speaker 01

  The man that he.

• 43:59Cameron Hanes?

  That he makes. Oh.

• 44:02Cameron Hanes?

  That's cool.

• 44:03Speaker 01

That's a good visual for you.

• 44:05Cameron Hanes?

  Yeah, that, another one.

• 44:06Speaker 01

  Yeah.

• 44:07Cameron Hanes?

Sometimes I pretend like I'm, I speak another language. And Taren says I have the cadence down.

• 44:15Speaker 01

All right, you have to do it.

• 44:23Cameron Hanes?

And I act like I'm talking.

• 44:27Cameron Hanes?

And it's just if you're like.

• 44:33Speaker 01

  It's really good.

• 44:35Cameron Hanes?

Yeah, so other than, it actually doesn't mean any, it is not a language.

• 44:41Speaker 01

  I speak another language too.

• 44:44Speaker 01

  Not poet.

• 44:46Cameron Hanes?

That's, yeah, that's true. Yeah, that is good.

• 44:49Speaker 01

I should want to not, I can't walk away.

• 44:53Cameron Hanes?

Oh, my God. Look, this. It's coffee coming out my nose.

• 45:01Cameron Hanes?

  Okay, I just drowned.

• 45:04Speaker 01

  Okay.

• 45:04Cameron Hanes?

  God.

• 45:05Speaker 01

Okay, get serious for a second, because this is a serious question.

• 45:08Cameron Hanes?

Well, I'm not a guy in colleges, but I'll take a look at it.

• 45:11Speaker 01

Aaron Lanzel asks, do gay people poop faster?

• 45:16Cameron Hanes?

Fuck, probably. They're probably pooping. They don't want to, don't they? Or you would know. Do you shit your pants all the time?

• 45:26Speaker 01

  Just wear a diaper.

• 45:28Cameron Hanes?

  Yeah.

• 45:30Speaker 01

People want to know if I know how to shoot a bow.

• 45:33Cameron Hanes?

Yeah, you almost beat me in a one arrow shoot off.

• 45:36Speaker 01

Put a little respect on my name out there, okay?

• 45:39Cameron Hanes?

  At archery country.

• 45:40Speaker 01

Yeah. I'm glad you remember. We thought it was, we thought you beat me by a mile, but upon further review.

• 45:45Cameron Hanes?

  No, it was close.

• 45:46Speaker 01

It's close. B Barlow wants to know, and I think you'll be able to help with this.

• 45:49Cameron Hanes?

  Okay.

• 45:51Speaker 01

Um, what are your recommendations to train for? And I don't know if this is possible, but a sub seven marathon.

• 45:57Cameron Hanes?

  I don't.

• 45:58Speaker 01

It's in a sub, sub seven hour.

• 45:59Cameron Hanes?

  Has that ever happened?

• 46:01Speaker 01

I don't think so. Uh, it seems kind of like a joke, really. I don't, if you don't take marathons seriously, just say that, you know?

• 46:09Cameron Hanes?

Sub seven, yeah, just, uh, yeah, get to it.

• 46:13Speaker 01

  Think walk?

• 46:14Cameron Hanes?

  Yeah, I mean.

• 46:15Speaker 01

  For 26.2.

• 46:17Cameron Hanes?

So if you, you can walk, what, about three miles an hour? You're gonna have to, so that'd only be 21 miles.

• 46:26Cameron Hanes?

So you're gonna have to do a little.

• 46:27Speaker 01

You gotta jog a little bit.

• 46:28Cameron Hanes?

  Hippity scop jump.

• 46:30Speaker 01

  Maybe skip?

• 46:31Cameron Hanes?

Yeah. Can you skip a little bit?

• 46:33Speaker 01

  Skip.

• 46:34Cameron Hanes?

Yeah, skip every once in a while.

• 46:35Speaker 01

  That should get you there.

• 46:37Cameron Hanes?

Yeah, so, uh, I have, what, okay. Oh, call to arms. Vote.

• 46:45Speaker 01

  Whoa.

• 46:46Cameron Hanes?

  Remember?

• 46:46Speaker 01

  Yes.

• 46:47Cameron Hanes?

Vote. November 3rd is election day. Get your ballots in.

• 46:52Speaker 01

Listen, everybody, just because you're an idiot and you listen to shit talkers and you have a low IQ doesn't mean your vote counts any less than somebody else's.

• 47:02Cameron Hanes?

  Which is weird.

• 47:05Speaker 01

  Well.

• 47:09Cameron Hanes?

  But it's apparently the rules.

• 47:12Speaker 01

  Yeah.

• 47:13Cameron Hanes?

Um, but yeah, get out and vote. Uh, I got coffee snot in my nose.

• 47:20Speaker 01

  Coffee enema.

• 47:22Cameron Hanes?

Yeah. So get out and vote. We are hoping for, uh, so an improvement here in Oregon. I have, I think supposedly, is that how you say it? Cause I always say supposedly.

• 47:37Speaker 01

  Supposedly, supposedly.

• 47:39Cameron Hanes?

Supposedly I have a hunter coming.

• 47:43Speaker 01

  Oh.

• 47:44Cameron Hanes?

I can take on a, on a deer hunt, but before that I have election night, um, responsibilities.

• 47:51Speaker 01

  As one does.

• 47:52Cameron Hanes?

And also on election day is my three veteran cow hunters that I gave away hunts to, or bought hunts so they could go get a cow. And, uh, I'm gonna try, that's over way over in eastern Oregon, but I'm going to try to get over there. Hopefully it'll be a pretty quick hunt. There's a lot of, a lot of elk and that's why they have cow hunts. So hopefully I can get over there and get back over here to the election night festivities. And then also drive somehow the other side or down south to the deer hunt by the next morning.

• 48:28Speaker 01

  Oh, shouldn't be an issue.

• 48:31Cameron Hanes?

I actually had, um, Caleb over there that, uh, you know, where I'm taking these guys, uh, cow hunting. He's, he has, knows a couple of people with planes. So I said, could you find out if I can get a ride back forth and to and fro and to make all that happen? Otherwise I'm driving a lot.

• 48:51Speaker 01

  It's gonna be.

• 48:52Cameron Hanes?

  That's a busy day.

• 48:53Speaker 01

  Yeah.

• 48:54Cameron Hanes?

  That's a busy Tuesday.

• 48:55Speaker 01

You're gonna need a couple of extra hours in the day.

• 48:57Cameron Hanes?

And then the deer hunt ends on Friday, so I want to be hunting Wednesday morning. And the election night's gonna go late Tuesday, but I, I need to be there by first light Wednesday because we only got Wednesday, Thursday, Friday.

• 49:10Cameron Hanes?

  So.

• 49:11Speaker 01

  It's gonna be tight.

• 49:13Cameron Hanes?

Gonna be busy. And, uh, then I have to introduce Drazen on Saturdays somewhere at some event. So yeah, we're, we're looking good.

• 49:21Speaker 01

  Should be perfect. Easy.

• 49:23Cameron Hanes?

Yeah. But anyway, get out and vote. Uh, this is a, the, all elections are important. Sometimes it feels like you're wasting your time, but man, this time I, I definitely feel like we have a chance. So, um, I know we talk a lot of shit on here. We fuck around, but man, we do have serious concerns about our life, our livelihood, our families and where we call home. And, uh, you know, it takes, it takes some thought and, uh, yeah, just being intentional about what we want and, um, trying to make that happen. So not trying to be, uh, Debbie Downer here and be too serious and, and shy away from the jocularity because we, we're

• 50:07Cameron Hanes?

still having fun. It's still all love, but let's vote, baby.

• 50:10Speaker 01

  Get out there.

• 50:11Cameron Hanes?

What else you got? Is that it?

• 50:12Speaker 01

That's it. Perform your obligation as an American.

• 50:16Cameron Hanes?

Uh, one thing I'd, one person I do want to shout out, a couple of people, Dustin Smith had open heart surgery. I think it's six or eight weeks ago, something like that. But man, he looks so good and he's up on Pisgah all the time.

• 50:29Speaker 01

  That's crazy.

• 50:30Cameron Hanes?

It's like coming back from that open heart surgery.

• 50:32Speaker 01

  Yeah.

• 50:32Cameron Hanes?

But he, he looks so healthy and he's got, I mean, I think he has his drone up there sometimes getting filmed.

• 50:39Speaker 01

  That's awesome.

• 50:40Cameron Hanes?

And, uh, yeah, I just, it seems like I've been seeing him almost every day. And, uh, so I want to shout out him. I'm so happy he's doing so well. Super nice guy. Uh, feels like you got a new lease on life basically by having that with that heart condition, having it fixed. And then now he's up on Pisgah, just doing the best he can. And then Megan also, she's blind. She takes an Uber over there, does like the last couple of times I've seen her, she doing it twice by herself. And so when people tell me they can't train or can't work out or can't even get out and do a few miles because of X, Y, and Z, I think of people like Dustin and Megan. And I'm like, you sure about that?

• 51:27Speaker 01

  You want to rethink that?

• 51:28Cameron Hanes?

Yeah. So it's the, those, those people, every time I see them, Dustin and Megan, I see them all the time now. It's every time I'm, my heart is full and I'm energized and I'm just like so thankful. And again, I know this isn't normal shit talkers topics, but, uh, man, I just, I just, I just love, that's a, that's a, I don't know. The beautiful part of being a human is being impacted by others.

• 51:57Speaker 01

  Yeah.

• 51:58Cameron Hanes?

And, uh, hopefully it, if we do it right, it's making us better also.

• 52:03Speaker 01

Yeah. And I think, I mean, you ask them, it's, that, that's just their reality, but I think a lot of people wait until something happens and they're like, man, I wish I could have my health back. I wish I could have that back. Don't wait for that.

• 52:16Cameron Hanes?

  Yeah.

• 52:16Speaker 01

  Why?

• 52:17Cameron Hanes?

  Yeah.

• 52:18Speaker 01

  Just go do it now.

• 52:19Cameron Hanes?

Just get, I mean, no matter what, everybody can do something.

• 52:22Speaker 01

  Yeah.

• 52:22Cameron Hanes?

Get out and do something. And, uh, all of a sudden that something is, you're going a little longer, walking a little further, maybe start running every once in a while. And then pretty soon it's just like your body's kind of getting used to that. You're, you know, it's just, you feel better mentally, spiritually, obviously physically. And, um, then you're like, well, man, maybe since I'm doing all this, maybe I should think about what I'm eating and, and my diet. And maybe I should cut back on the alcohol and maybe I should cut back on the cigarettes or the chew or whatever else.

• 52:53Speaker 01

Cut back on the Goth girls.

• 52:55Cameron Hanes?

  Cut back. I, I wouldn't say that. I wouldn't go that far.

• 52:59Speaker 01

  Don't go that far.

• 53:00Cameron Hanes?

God bless the Goth girls, you know? I mean, I don't know. I don't really, I'm not much of a big Goth follower.

• 53:07Speaker 01

  I'm not either.

• 53:08Cameron Hanes?

  But, uh.

• 53:10Speaker 01

You know, but I, I know some people that I guess dip their toes.

• 53:13Cameron Hanes?

In the, in the Goth pond?

• 53:15Speaker 01

  In the Goth.

• 53:16Cameron Hanes?

  In the.

• 53:17Speaker 01

Dark waters of the Goth pond.

• 53:18Cameron Hanes?

Right. Yeah. And, um, yeah. So respect.

• 53:22Speaker 01

  Yeah. So.

• 53:23Cameron Hanes?

  Goth respect.

• 53:24Speaker 01

Get out there and do something.

• 53:25Cameron Hanes?

I don't know about the, the devil part. That seems a little.

• 53:29Speaker 01

  Seems a little far.

• 53:30Cameron Hanes?

Seems a little extreme for me.

• 53:31Speaker 01

  Yeah.

• 53:32Cameron Hanes?

But, uh, yeah, we got love for everybody. So anyway, thanks for tuning in. This is Shit Talkers Weekly or Slobberknockers Weekly 37. And, uh, we'll catch you on the next.

• 53:43Speaker 01

  On the flip.

• 53:46Cameron Hanes?

  Okay.

• 53:47Speaker 01

  I'm a lyrical genius.

I've been shooting Hoyt for over 20 years now and they're a lifetime partner of mine. That's not something I take lightly. I stay with partners that prove themselves and Hoyt continues to do that year after year. They shattered the industry standards and built the AX90, the first 90 pound bow to exist and be offered to consumers. Why? Because I want a hard hitting arrow delivered with enough force to push through, say a rib or the edge of a shoulder

blade. Because it's bow hunting. Not every shot is going to be perfect. But when the animal reacts, or maybe I don't make the most perfect shot, I still want to deliver a lethal arrow and a 90 pound bow gives me more room for error. Unfortunately, they don't offer discounts on bows, but if you want to grab some Hoyt merch or selected accessories, you can use my code CAM for 20% off. If you're serious about archery and you want something you can rely on, shoot a Hoyt. Get serious, get Hoyt, and keep hammering.
