Alright, this is The Keep Hammering Collective Q&A Edition with Gideon and Larry. But Larry's not on camera, Gideon is. Larry can chime in if he'd like.

• 0:27Speaker 01

Yeah, make sure you got your fingers twitching on the mic back there.

• 0:32Cameron Hanes?

  Larry, you there?

• 0:33Speaker 02

Oh yeah, we're here. Can you hear me?

• 0:35Speaker 01

  Yeah.

• 0:36Cameron Hanes?

Can you hear me? There we go. There we go. Alright, so I asked for some Q&As from you guys.

• 0:44Cameron Hanes?

And then Gideon and Larry came up with some stuff, right?

• 0:48Speaker 01

  Yeah.

• 0:48Cameron Hanes?

  Okay.

• 0:49Speaker 01

  So.

• 0:49Cameron Hanes?

  So what do you think?

• 0:51Speaker 01

  First of all.

• 0:52Cameron Hanes?

  Oh.

• 0:52Speaker 01

We gotta start. I noticed in the last one, I was wearing my Eugene Speedway shirt.

• 0:57Cameron Hanes?

  Yeah.

• 0:58Speaker 01

You made a joke about me.

• 1:01Speaker 01

  Pissed somebody off.

• 1:03Cameron Hanes?

Oh my god, yeah, somebody did lose their... It's just like, it wasn't even about... I don't even know what I even said, but it was just, you were wearing a t-shirt, I could use that for whatever reason to make fun of you.

• 1:16Speaker 01

Yeah, I think you made a gay joke about me, but used the shirt.

• 1:19Cameron Hanes?

Yeah, and they were like, "My dad, grandpa, whatever." And I'm like, "I don't even give a [bleep] about Eugene Speedway. Settle down." "God, don't take this personal. Nobody gives a shit about you or Eugene Speedway." "I barely care about Gideon, but I just wanted to make fun of him."

• 1:38Speaker 01

  Ah, yes, I figured we'd...

• 1:40Cameron Hanes?

God, can we chill out? I had to also send somebody back their money for trying to win the truck, because they went crazy saying, "Oh, they should have won it last time. The guy who won it already had a truck." And I'm just like, "Okay." However much money this guy spent, I told Rhonda and Andrea, I go, "Send it back." I'm not dealing... This is supposed to be cool.

• 2:05Speaker 01

  Yeah.

• 2:06Cameron Hanes?

Like, you buy merch, you could win a $200,000 truck. It's not supposed to be some big issue that I want to deal with.

• 2:12Speaker 01

Saying you should have won the last one.

• 2:15Cameron Hanes?

Because the guy who won already had a truck? It's just like, I...

• 2:19Speaker 01

  It's a sweepstakes, it's a raffle.

• 2:20Cameron Hanes?

It's ran hundred percent random. I don't know who the is gonna win or what kind of car they have.

• 2:27Speaker 01

  It doesn't, it doesn't matter.

• 2:28Cameron Hanes?

It does. It has nothing to do with anything. So if you're gonna like bitch and complain about a free truck, you're not playing.

• 2:35Speaker 01

  Yeah.

• 2:35Cameron Hanes?

  I don't want your money.

• 2:37Speaker 01

  I.

• 2:37Cameron Hanes?

I don't, I'm not even making any money.

• 2:39Speaker 01

I've, I've heard this quote before. I can't remember from who, but it's a, nobody cares, work harder.

• 2:45Cameron Hanes?

It should just be, nobody cares, shut up.

• 2:49Cameron Hanes?

  That's my new shirt.

• 2:51Speaker 01

  New merch line.

• 2:52Cameron Hanes?

Okay, I, I didn't, really didn't want to start off negative. This is supposed to be like a feel good Q and A, I thought.

• 3:00Speaker 01

I didn't know I was gonna be poking the bear with that one. Okay, moving on. This is feel good. How about those knives selling out?

• 3:07Cameron Hanes?

Yeah, I mean, it took a while, though.

• 3:09Speaker 01

Yeah, I mean, a whole four minutes.

• 3:12Cameron Hanes?

Yeah, that's nuts. Montana Knife Company, whatever they're doing.

• 3:18Cameron Hanes?

I mean, yeah, I'm glad it's knives and not crack because, man, they're good at it.

• 3:26Speaker 01

I mean, people buy them like it's crack.

• 3:28Cameron Hanes?

  It's insane.

• 3:29Speaker 01

  Yeah.

• 3:30Cameron Hanes?

  It's insane. I don't, you know, a $300 knife isn't cheap.

• 3:34Speaker 01

  No.

• 3:34Cameron Hanes?

So somehow there's thousands of people out there with just $300 ready just to send it to somebody.

• 3:41Speaker 01

I mean, I, if you're gonna spend $300, it is a good product.

• 3:44Cameron Hanes?

Yeah, I mean, they're the best, great product, awesome people, as I said in my post, I think yesterday or something, but yeah, I mean, they deserve, if anybody deserves support, it's a company like that.

• 3:56Speaker 01

  Definitely.

• 3:57Cameron Hanes?

You know, I mean, four years ago, when I met, it's going on five or not, maybe a little over four, it was 2020 for the last election, but met Josh for the first time, he was still a lineman. I don't know if you saw his post, but

• 4:10Speaker 01

  Yeah.

• 4:11Cameron Hanes?

he was just kind of making knives on the side and we went back there, you know, campaigning for the election and met him and, you know, from then to now, it's amazing what they're doing. Seventy-five employees.

• 4:25Speaker 01

  Crazy.

• 4:25Cameron Hanes?

Just, yeah, it's the American dream.

• 4:28Speaker 01

I was just gonna say that.

• 4:29Cameron Hanes?

Yeah, it is. It's the American dream. It's a, you know, Josh Smith, shout out to him, but his team, you know, you got Brandon there who's, you know, was one of the original, I guess, his partner.

• 4:42Cameron Hanes?

Marketing, you know, Jessica Byers, love her. She's doing the marketing part. Of course, all the employees are good. Josh's wife has been very supportive. So, man, I love to see it.

• 4:53Speaker 01

Yeah, me too. So this is a question. This is from your questionnaire. I changed it a little bit, but

• 5:02Speaker 01

I think everyone wants to know what were Tracy's thoughts on doing the podcast?

• 5:06Cameron Hanes?

She hated, well, yeah, she hated the the thought of doing it. So now I've just been giving her crap every day about, oh, ever since you're like the big podcast star, you, she's like chiming in on stuff. And so if she chimes in on something, I'll say, oh, boy, here we go. The resident expert. She's like everybody, the people's champ.

• 5:29Speaker 01

Yeah, I mean, people really liked the episode.

• 5:32Cameron Hanes?

  Yeah, she did great.

• 5:33Speaker 01

I I noticed some of them would trickle on to other videos to comment. And, you know, all the comments were super positive and yeah, I I think everyone wants to know if she'd be on again.

• 5:46Cameron Hanes?

It's not looking good so far right now, but yeah, I turned the comments on the YouTube on her. People are so freaking stupid. I I

• 6:00Cameron Hanes?

I I don't know. I mean, sometimes I know, yeah, people are really stupid. And then I'm also get surprised that they're even more stupid than I thought they were.

• 6:09Speaker 01

  Stupider.

• 6:10Cameron Hanes?

Yeah, so I'm like, I'm not even allowing comments because she didn't sign up to be critiqued. I get critiqued for all sorts of stupid shit and that's just, hey, that's the way it goes. But she didn't. So I'm like, I'm not even going to fucking deal with dipshit saying who knows what. So no comments, but they have been commenting on other stuff and then sending me messages and, you know, I sent her a few messages I got about how impactful it was and like, you know, grown men listening to it crying.

• 6:40Speaker 01

  Yeah.

• 6:40Cameron Hanes?

You know, just by how, you know, as I said, impactful that the that the discussion was, but it was just because it was so real and, you know, people listen to these podcasts and they want real.

• 6:56Speaker 01

  Yeah.

• 6:57Cameron Hanes?

What they normally get is like a bunch of guys who are kind of mediocre.

• 7:04Cameron Hanes?

Middle of the road saying how to be alpha and how to be this, okay, men, here's what you do to be a man. It's just like, I mean, you can't even run your own life.

• 7:16Speaker 01

  No.

• 7:16Cameron Hanes?

And all of a sudden, you're telling men what, so, so the polar opposite of that is somebody like her, who's just as genuine as this can be in talking about Christianity and their, you know, faith and all that. So people I think love those type of conversations. We don't get them that often. We get this, I don't even know what it, pretend.

• 7:38Speaker 01

Yeah. Well, people are getting this, right?

• 7:43Cameron Hanes?

Yeah. So I, I mean, now you're compared to like, I spend a lot of time looking for good stuff to listen to. And so consequently, I got to listen to a lot of shitty stuff, which is probably what people think my, my podcast is too. So whatever, I guess I'm gonna lump myself in. But you are like not the, the dipshit that I like listen to for 10 minutes. And I'm like, oh my God, I gotta find another fricking podcast already, because this one sucks. So if we can be genuine and just like not talk out our ass, I think we're in the top like 1%.

• 8:24Speaker 01

Yeah, we'll see. That's, that's one of our favorite things to do while driving is put on an insufferable podcast and listen for hours.

• 8:33Cameron Hanes?

You asked me, you're like, why do you listen to this? And I think it's just like some.

• 8:40Speaker 01

It's a form of self torture.

• 8:41Cameron Hanes?

Yeah. Yeah. I mean, it's just, I gotta make myself tougher.

• 8:46Speaker 01

  Yeah, exactly.

• 8:46Cameron Hanes?

By being miserable, listening to fucking idiots.

• 8:51Cameron Hanes?

And it's not even, it's never women. It's, it's just guys. It's guys are insufferable.

• 9:01Speaker 01

I, I've always said, if you have to even say the word alpha.

• 9:07Cameron Hanes?

Well, then another thing. So somehow I was listening, looking at Joe's podcast and I don't even know why I was looking at the comments, I think on Spotify. And, you know, he's had some amazing podcasts lately and like the comments were too many ads, ads. Why do I have to listen to all these ads? And I'm like, oh my God. You guys will about anything and skip the ads. You can go right past them.

• 9:33Speaker 01

  Yeah.

• 9:34Cameron Hanes?

It's like, I grew up where we had no chat. We had to watch the commercials. If you're watching the show, you got to watch a whole damn commercial. And now people, they can skip past everything and they're still.

• 9:46Speaker 01

Well, when you have to watch the commercial, I remember that would be the time you like trying to run to the fridge and time and get back.

• 9:52Cameron Hanes?

Yeah, you can't pause it like nowadays. Nowadays you can go take a shit. You can freaking go to the store and come back and you didn't miss anything. And we got people complaining because they got to skip through an ad on a podcast that's free. And some, some powerful discussion with the most powerful voice in media. And all you can think of is to about the ads.

• 10:17Speaker 01

For three hours. And what is there? Three or four ad breaks?

• 10:20Cameron Hanes?

Yeah, I mean, there might be total of five minutes. I don't know.

• 10:26Speaker 01

  It's ridiculous.

• 10:27Cameron Hanes?

  Yeah.

• 10:27Speaker 01

But we're keeping this positive. So.

• 10:29Cameron Hanes?

  Oh, that's, that's right. That's right.

• 10:32Speaker 01

Are you familiar? There's another question. Are you familiar with Ed Ashby's work on aero ballistics?

• 10:38Cameron Hanes?

  Yeah.

• 10:39Speaker 01

  What are your thoughts?

• 10:41Cameron Hanes?

Ed Ashby. Well, it's about just a heavy arrow, you know, penetrates better usually just in general and, you know, talking about single bevel and cutting tip and heavy this, that. Yeah. Know all about it. What about it?

• 10:56Speaker 01

Just they wanted to know, what do you think about it?

• 10:59Cameron Hanes?

  Oh, whatever.

• 11:00Speaker 01

  Sounds good.

• 11:03Cameron Hanes?

Um, yeah, it's a so. I don't. Just in general, a super heavy arrow. I think there's a point of diminishing returns. It's about 800 grain arrow. Nobody's shooting 800 grain arrow, so don't worry about that side. And then it's mostly too light. People shoot 300 and some grain arrows because they want speed.

• 11:26Speaker 01

  Yeah.

• 11:27Cameron Hanes?

And they're losing all this penetration. And so. I try to go with kind of a heavier for this day and age type arrow, like 500 grain. You know, shoot heavy poundage, kind of shoot a 250 spine arrow, which is pretty heavy.

• 11:43Cameron Hanes?

So, yeah, I just want to. Like a hard hitting, but not super slow, like with the 800 grain, not. You know, speed, whatever is only one factor. It's just an easy one for marketing. But speed that is light. You're going to give up a lot of penetration. So I just want heavy hard hitting.

• 12:02Speaker 01

Right. Well, you and James Visser shoot 1300 grain arrows, right?

• 12:06Cameron Hanes?

Yeah, something like that. Yeah, I can't remember. What were you joking about? I think it was a single bevel too, something like that. He's actually funny because he's smart. And most people you can't, it's hard to be sarcastic with idiots. So. He can, you can be sarcastic with him and he'll get it.

• 12:27Speaker 01

Unfortunately, not everyone in the comments gets it. I'm sure.

• 12:31Cameron Hanes?

Oh, man. I always said, I wish social media, like you had to take an IQ test to log in. It would just solve a lot of problems.

• 12:40Speaker 01

Yeah, I mean, there would be a lot less people on.

• 12:43Cameron Hanes?

And I'm not some genius, so it's not like I'm like lumping myself in, but. If we could just take out like the bottom 5%.

• 12:50Speaker 01

  Hmm.

• 12:51Cameron Hanes?

  Save a lot of time.

• 12:52Speaker 01

  I think so.

• 12:53Cameron Hanes?

  Shoot them.

• 12:54Speaker 01

Next one, and this one's interesting for me especially, because I think I could be the first one. KHC sponsored athletes.

• 13:02Cameron Hanes?

Hybrid athletes or just athlete athletes?

• 13:04Speaker 01

I think we make it hybrid athletes. I think you have to be a hybrid athlete to be a KHC athlete.

• 13:09Cameron Hanes?

Cause if you're a hybrid athlete, you're not really an athlete. Cause like saying you're kind of shitty at everything. So it's like, well, I'm hybrid. I'm not a good runner. I'm not strong. I'm not really an athlete. Could I call myself hybrid?

• 13:24Speaker 01

I love to call myself. With that definition, I'm definitely hybrid.

• 13:29Cameron Hanes?

Yeah, you're, you're our first hybrid tranny athlete. Does that work?

• 13:34Speaker 01

Yeah. And that is not a diss on anything else. Just me. So everyone knows.

• 13:40Cameron Hanes?

Yeah, not, not Wrangler. Cause you're wearing that Wrangler shirt. Not Duckworth. Has nothing to do with the.

• 13:45Speaker 01

  Hey, my grandpa hunted ducks.

• 13:50Cameron Hanes?

  And you said.

• 13:53Speaker 01

  You son of a bitch.

• 13:54Cameron Hanes?

  God.

• 13:56Speaker 01

Uh, you think you're hot shit.

• 13:57Cameron Hanes?

Oh, I know. Exactly. That's where it all started.

• 14:01Speaker 01

  Um, okay. Next question.

• 14:03Cameron Hanes?

  Misunderstanding.

• 14:05Speaker 01

  Any plans for Africa again?

• 14:08Cameron Hanes?

  Does it say again?

• 14:10Speaker 01

  Well.

• 14:11Cameron Hanes?

  No.

• 14:12Speaker 01

  I said that.

• 14:12Cameron Hanes?

Oh, um, so those people are insinuating I've never been there, but I've been there many ti- not, well, what's many?

• 14:22Speaker 01

I think there's a couple is two, a few is three, and many is anything else. What are we, right?

• 14:30Cameron Hanes?

Yeah, I love Africa. I've been there. Uh, killed, uh, Cape buffalo, killed kudu. Uh, I don't even know what else. Um, but yeah, I mean, I, it's just time.

• 14:43Speaker 01

  Yeah.

• 14:43Cameron Hanes?

If I have to, if I have to, you know, takes a few minutes to get over there.

• 14:48Speaker 01

  Yeah.

• 14:49Cameron Hanes?

  So it's a.

• 14:50Speaker 01

Once, once they finish that train under the ocean.

• 14:53Cameron Hanes?

  Yeah.

• 14:53Speaker 01

  Yeah.

• 14:53Cameron Hanes?

  We'll be there.

• 14:55Speaker 01

  Speed train.

• 14:56Cameron Hanes?

Yeah, I love go- I mean, I love, you know, wild country and wild animals and it doesn't get any more wild than some places of Africa. So yeah, I'm, I'm down. I like dangerous stuff. It's fun.

• 15:07Speaker 01

Well, there you go. Um, is there going to be a lift, run, shoot event for 2025?

• 15:13Cameron Hanes?

  I hope not.

• 15:17Cameron Hanes?

Now, just because the la- I'm just kinda tainted. Cause the last time, uh, let's see. I broke my foot on June 16th. That event was the 20-

• 15:32Speaker 01

  Juneteenth.

• 15:34Cameron Hanes?

Yeah, no, right after Juneteenth, which is another, another important day in history, along with your birthday yesterday. Um, so I think it was like the 21st or 22nd. So it was like five days after I broke my foot. And, uh, yeah. So I was, it's kind of a pain in the ass. I did like all the people. That, that's of course incredible, but I'm still thinking about that. I did that 10K cause it's like people signed up to train with me and do whatever. So it's like, I can't say, oh, I fucking sprained my ankle, even though it was broke. But, but most people hear about, oh, you're making an excuse. So I had to do it. Sucked.

• 16:18Speaker 01

Yeah, well, there's your answer. So, um, this one I can answer. Not going to any Hunt Expos.

• 16:28Cameron Hanes?

Oh, man. Well, I hate people. Um.

• 16:35Speaker 01

Man, this is really turning out positive.

• 16:40Cameron Hanes?

No. God, you know, I used to love the shows. I did. I loved going to ATA, which is right now, I think, and seeing everybody. I loved going to SHOT. I don't know why, cause I don't need to go to Vegas anymore than absolutely necessary. Um, but the Hunt Expo is, it's a consumer show, so it's cool seeing everybody. If I go to any, it'll be the Hunt Expo.

• 17:10Speaker 01

  Okay. Good to know.

• 17:12Cameron Hanes?

  But I hope I don't. But I might.

• 17:15Speaker 01

Um, all right. Your favorite way, I think most people know this, but your favorite way to cool down, Elk Backstrap or Tenderloin or?

• 17:27Cameron Hanes?

  Cool it down.

• 17:28Speaker 01

That's what we need. We need cigars. Yeah, I don't, kind of a vague question, but I imagined like in the field, which most people know, obviously, if you can get to a creek bed, you know, and hang it in a tree.

• 17:40Cameron Hanes?

  Yeah.

• 17:40Speaker 01

It's gonna stay cooler down there.

• 17:43Cameron Hanes?

Well, what, I have a little known, little known tactic. I usually piss on.

• 17:48Speaker 01

Say, my favorite thing to do is piss on.

• 17:50Cameron Hanes?

  No, I don't know. I mean.

• 17:51Speaker 01

  Yeah.

• 17:52Cameron Hanes?

I don't have a favorite way. I just want to get the meat cool. So it's not like some secret frickin tactic. But, uh, yeah, I mean, I want to get the hide off. Obviously, sometimes I don't even gut it. Um, because I do the gutless, whatever. I guess it's called gutless method. But, um, yeah, just get the hide off, get the quarters off and get it hanging, you know, and usually north side timbers, coolest, dark timber, or something where it can get in the wind, get some wind around it. And yeah, I mean, people, be, if you can get it over water, like I think, uh, what was that? I, oh, Truitt's Buck this year. We left by the creek. So I put it right over this log that was going over the creek. It was super cool down in the bottom there.

• 18:37Cameron Hanes?

Meat chilled great. I left a coat there. So no predators would get in there. And plus, I don't like going around creeks because they're too noisy anyway. So they like to be able to hear. But, uh, yeah, I mean, that's, that's a good tactic. Even if you had a garbage bag, you can put the meat in and put it in the water as long as it's, you don't want to have the meat get wet. But, uh, that'll keep it really cool if you're worried about spoilage. But yeah, mostly it's just getting that hide off and getting up off the ground in the wind.

• 19:06Speaker 01

Now, this is a comment that I saw pop up. Um, I think it was San Carlos quite a few times. One guy said, I wonder how many more elk you would kill, which is funny because how many more could you kill? But how many more elk would Cameron Hanes kill if he used a mouth call or a diaphragm call?

• 19:30Cameron Hanes?

Well, I can't kill any more than I kill. I'm I kill what's I fill every tag that I'm legally afforded.

• 19:39Speaker 01

  Yeah.

• 19:39Cameron Hanes?

  So.

• 19:41Speaker 01

  Interesting question.

• 19:44Speaker 01

  Zero.

• 19:45Cameron Hanes?

Zero more. And also, for people that don't know, just FYI, calling,

• 19:53Cameron Hanes?

you can kill a bull calling. The biggest bulls, you're probably not going to call in. That's just, I mean, if it's, if you're trying to get the biggest bull on the mountain, it's generally not going to come to a call.

• 20:05Speaker 01

  Yep.

• 20:07Cameron Hanes?

You can call in raghorns, you can call in bulls that are acting like herd bulls that aren't really the herd bulls, or maybe the herd bull is gone, or bred the cows, and so there's another bull in there. Sometimes you can get those type of bulls in, but not, not the giants.

• 20:23Speaker 01

Yep. And that's why I hammer my call.

• 20:28Cameron Hanes?

Well, you can't eat the horns.

• 20:29Speaker 01

  Yeah.

• 20:30Cameron Hanes?

So, yeah, I mean, if you're for trophy, are you a trophy hunter? I hate that question, too. It's like, I don't know, I got a bunch of trophies here, but I also ate all this meat. So can you be a meat hunter and a trophy hunter?

• 20:42Speaker 01

Well, yeah, except for the meat that you left, you know, in the mounts.

• 20:46Cameron Hanes?

Oh, right. Yeah. It's amazing what, how clueless some, oh, no, we're being positive. Yeah. So here's the thing. That, the actual bones and meat are not in that mount.

• 20:59Speaker 01

  Really?

• 21:00Cameron Hanes?

  That's true.

• 21:01Speaker 01

  Wow.

• 21:01Cameron Hanes?

And that's actually not its, its, it's its hide, but that's not its skull under that.

• 21:06Speaker 01

  You're kidding me.

• 21:07Cameron Hanes?

No, I'm not. And that's not its actual eyeball.

• 21:11Speaker 01

  What?

• 21:12Cameron Hanes?

Yeah, I know. It looks like it.

• 21:13Speaker 01

  Wow.

• 21:14Cameron Hanes?

  It's crazy, huh?

• 21:15Speaker 01

You learn something new every day.

• 21:16Cameron Hanes?

I know you do. But, yeah, so I've got a bunch of trophies here, eat all the meat, it's a, you know, cherish it. So, yeah, it's like, when people say, no, are, are you a, a trophy hunter, or do you hunt for the meat? It's just like, well, in both. How about that?

• 21:33Speaker 01

This is a good one. What's your deal with noisy pants?

• 21:40Cameron Hanes?

Okay, well, my deal with other humans when I'm hunting is I hate them. And if those humans have pants on, I really hate them. And if they're sound like windbreaker pants.

• 21:55Cameron Hanes?

  Like parachute pants?

• 21:57Speaker 01

Would you take all that and make it me?

• 21:59Cameron Hanes?

Oh, it's not good. So, yeah, I mean, if we just backtrack from the pants to the person, to the noise, to the material, to another human around me.

• 22:12Speaker 01

  Yeah.

• 22:13Cameron Hanes?

  That's what I hate.

• 22:13Speaker 01

As one guy suggested, no homo, of course, I'll just take them off.

• 22:17Cameron Hanes?

  Yeah.

• 22:17Speaker 01

  So.

• 22:18Speaker 02

I think you just take them off and oil yourself up.

• 22:21Speaker 01

  Okay.

• 22:23Speaker 02

  Be nice and quiet.

• 22:25Speaker 01

That's what you chime in with?

• 22:27Cameron Hanes?

  Wow.

• 22:27Speaker 01

The first that you chime in with has to get edited out?

• 22:30Speaker 02

Yeah, I've been stewing on that one for about five minutes.

• 22:33Cameron Hanes?

I think, you know how, you know, with the camo face paint? If you just did your camo face paint on your legs and your junk and your ass, maybe you could be naked.

• 22:44Speaker 02

  Yeah.

• 22:45Cameron Hanes?

  I mean, it could work.

• 22:47Speaker 01

  Did I miss this?

• 22:54Cameron Hanes?

Oh, yeah, just lift, let me lift.

• 22:58Cameron Hanes?

Turn your head. The tape's so hard to get.

• 23:04Speaker 01

Can you hand me that mirror?

• 23:08Cameron Hanes?

  Oh.

• 23:09Speaker 01

Okay, we're going off, we're going off.

• 23:11Cameron Hanes?

You just, you film with your, with your phone. You film and then you check it.

• 23:19Speaker 01

That thing you reposted on your story that.

• 23:22Cameron Hanes?

  What was it?

• 23:25Cameron Hanes?

Oh, went live shaving your balls.

• 23:30Cameron Hanes?

Heart start coming up. I know. God, that was, there's some good shit out there.

• 23:37Speaker 01

That was, I was dying at that. Okay. Someone wants to know, this is a crazy transition, but how do you overcome self doubt with ambitious goals?

• 23:50Cameron Hanes?

Well, that's assuming I got a plan for anything.

• 23:57Cameron Hanes?

  What is the question?

• 24:03Cameron Hanes?

Okay, let me just break it down. How do I overcome self doubt? Well, I think I'm worthless and pathetic. So I guess that hasn't worked. An opposer and

• 24:15Speaker 01

I think a better way to phrase this question would be, how do you use that self doubt as fuel?

• 24:21Cameron Hanes?

Oh, well, yeah, you think you're a piece of shit. So you got to prove people wrong.

• 24:25Speaker 01

  Exactly.

• 24:26Cameron Hanes?

  And yourself wrong.

• 24:27Speaker 01

That was a guy who dropped out of his PhD and is becoming an artist. So next.

• 24:35Cameron Hanes?

  Well, he's gonna be broke.

• 24:39Cameron Hanes?

That's a, that's like wanting to be a professional bow hunter. It's like nothing, probably not gonna happen. Like, how many artists make money?

• 24:49Speaker 01

  Can't be a lot. I mean,

• 24:51Cameron Hanes?

But I don't, if you don't want to be a doctor, I don't, I, that's probably good to switch gears. But yeah, being, hopefully he's good. Cause that, that's a tough, everything's tough, I know.

• 25:02Speaker 01

If he looks like, um, Milano, maybe he would do okay.

• 25:06Cameron Hanes?

  Oh.

• 25:08Cameron Hanes?

  Yeah, um.

• 25:11Speaker 01

  So.

• 25:12Cameron Hanes?

  So.

• 25:19Cameron Hanes?

I'm just gonna say he prob, just because you said he, I'm gonna say he probably doesn't look like some hot artist.

• 25:27Speaker 01

  Yeah, I don't think so.

• 25:29Cameron Hanes?

  But I could be wrong.

• 25:30Speaker 01

  Yeah. Okay. Well.

• 25:32Cameron Hanes?

No Eugene Speedway reference and I'm not.

• 25:35Speaker 01

  Would you quit with Eugene?

• 25:37Cameron Hanes?

Maybe he is hot and that's fine. That is fine.

• 25:41Speaker 01

  Um, okay.

• 25:44Speaker 01

This is the last question from the Q and A. Do you remember your first elk hunt?

• 25:49Cameron Hanes?

Do I remember it? God, I remember every elk hunt. What are people talking about?

• 25:54Speaker 01

  I don't know.

• 25:55Cameron Hanes?

Yeah, it's only forty, or no.

• 25:58Speaker 01

  Fifty.

• 25:59Cameron Hanes?

  No, eighty years ago.

• 26:02Speaker 01

  Carry the ten.

• 26:04Cameron Hanes?

Yeah, so um, people have heard, the tag is right, right over there for nineteen eighty-nine.

• 26:11Speaker 01

  Yeah.

• 26:11Cameron Hanes?

September thirteenth nineteen eighty-nine, opened on the twenty-fifth, hunted every day. We're supposed to be going to school. Dropped out, dropped all my classes. No, I gotta kill this bull, or a bull. Um, so it sounds like eighteen straight days. It was in the evening, me and my brother, uh, we both started bow hunting the same year. He's three years younger than me, but he was, like, we were in this reprod, this herd of elk were, were around. This spike bull steps out seventy yards, which I had shot for hours and hours and hours every day, but seventy yards, so I shot, shot over the top, missed him.

• 26:49Cameron Hanes?

Spooked, kinda, ew, cow call, stops, or maybe I didn't cow call, maybe he just didn't know what the hell was going on, and I hit him perfect and double lung, went like fifty yards.

• 27:01Speaker 01

  There you go.

• 27:02Cameron Hanes?

  That was it.

• 27:02Speaker 01

  A brief little history. Now.

• 27:04Cameron Hanes?

Of course I remember it. I remember every kill.

• 27:06Speaker 01

Speaking of history, I got a fun little section here.

• 27:11Cameron Hanes?

Trying to think of what? No, I'm, every kill, I, I'm not, I'm looking at all these and it's like.

• 27:17Speaker 01

  You know them all?

• 27:18Cameron Hanes?

  Yeah.

• 27:20Cameron Hanes?

  Do a quiz.

• 27:21Speaker 01

  Yeah.

• 27:23Cameron Hanes?

  Which one?

• 27:24Speaker 01

  How about?

• 27:26Speaker 01

  That whitetail.

• 27:28Cameron Hanes?

That whitetail, that's, uh, South Texas, GK Palomas, where I killed, um, chicken over there. But yeah, just big old ten point, nice tall buck, uh, yeah, it's not, not too crazy, out of a blind, twenty-some yards. Smoked him.

• 27:48Speaker 01

Huh. Okay, what about the skull cap mounted one?

• 27:53Cameron Hanes?

  That, that bull there?

• 27:54Speaker 01

  Yeah.

• 27:55Cameron Hanes?

Of course we know that one. That's my first six by six in the wilderness. 12 miles back by myself. That was the one where I lost my knife. I told Josh about that the other day. Lost that knife my father-in-law gave me. Had llamas, but they're too dead because I killed it on opening day and they get tired. So I had to go try to round up my buddies that are like 10 miles away. Walked all the way over there and said, hey, can you help me come pack out a bull, I'll buy us pizza and a hotel room. So went all the way down to Enterprise, got pizza, hotel room, packed all the way back in. And yeah, Tim Thompson, Joel, his cousin, Greg Miller, the, the director at the water division right now. And yeah, 1997.

• 28:40Speaker 01

Those were all scripted, just so everyone knows.

• 28:44Cameron Hanes?

Yeah. What about that pig right there?

• 28:48Speaker 01

I think that would be a good one to ask. Well, is that from vanilla?

• 28:52Cameron Hanes?

  No.

• 28:53Speaker 01

  Oh, okay.

• 28:54Cameron Hanes?

No, that's from California, down there with south. Like I was shooting PSE, it was probably like year 2003, maybe. So maybe 20 some years ago. But yeah, big bore.

• 29:13Speaker 01

Okay, maybe I'm going to start doing that every now and then. I'll just point.

• 29:17Cameron Hanes?

  Yeah.

• 29:17Speaker 01

Okay, this next section actually comes from a conversation you and Michael Waddell were having in Texas. And I think this could be beneficial. I mean, I want to hear some of this stuff, and I think other people do too. But you guys were talking about how the new generation of bow hunters maybe aren't as interested or obsessed with the history of bow hunting. And you guys were kind of saying it's, you know, the new generation's responsibility to learn that and carry that on. So I thought we would start with just a brief little overview of what many people consider the forefathers of bow hunting.

• 29:54Cameron Hanes?

  Oh, is this?

• 29:55Speaker 01

  Saxton Pope, Arthur Young.

• 29:57Cameron Hanes?

  Yeah.

• 29:58Speaker 01

So, yeah, I, I wanted to kind of talk a little bit about them. And also Ishi, is that how you pronounce it?

• 30:04Cameron Hanes?

  Yeah.

• 30:05Speaker 01

The Native American. Um, I was just doing some reading today, found out that they met at like the world fair tour in San Francisco in 1915.

• 30:13Cameron Hanes?

  Oh, nice.

• 30:14Speaker 01

Yeah. Um, and I guess their meeting wasn't even anything special. They just had mutuals and met. And just kind of went from there. But yeah, what do you, what do you know about kind of how they started and, and Ishii in specific? Cause I know he was kind of.

• 30:31Cameron Hanes?

Yeah. I mean, I don't, I only read a few different books that, that mention it, you know, actually, um, God. What's it, what's his name? Um, gave me, where's my, Tanner wore that hat, that raccoon hat?

• 30:53Cameron Hanes?

Yeah. So, yeah, I got this from, uh,

• 30:59Cameron Hanes?

why can't I think of his name from Meat Eater?

• 31:03Speaker 01

  Oh, uh.

• 31:05Cameron Hanes?

  Is it Clay?

• 31:06Speaker 01

  Clay Newcomb.

• 31:06Cameron Hanes?

Yeah, Clay Newcomb. God. So he just was asking me the other day what I knew about Ishii, cause he wants to do a podcast on him.

• 31:12Speaker 01

  Oh, okay.

• 31:13Cameron Hanes?

And I just, I answered him the same way. Um, which I think is going to be an awesome podcast, cause he does so much history and I love it. But, uh, but yeah, I only know kind of, you know, I have a few books that talk about it, but mostly I just know about the Saxon Pope and Art Young. Um, obviously started Pope and Young. And then after those guys, essentially, and I think what Waddell was talking about, I believe with Rogan is, and I saw that our favorite hater page actually put up this clip, just.

• 31:49Speaker 01

  Of course they did.

• 31:50Cameron Hanes?

Just cause, I mean, if, if you're going to be completely worthless, you're just like, you can't have any limits.

• 31:56Speaker 01

  Go all the way.

• 31:57Cameron Hanes?

Go all the way. But talking about, cause Waddell said they would put up like, you know, I think 70 pounds or 70. I don't know what it was. It's not, not enough for a buffalo. They shot it like three times and one in the rump, one in the whatever. And so they tried to say that that's when, when bow hunters were honest, right? And it's just like, no, it has nothing to do with that. It's just like they were testing archery equipment. They didn't know. They didn't know if, if bows and arrows could actually kill animals. So it was kind of like this exploratory mission over Africa. Like what are these, these weapons capable of? So they were just kind of just. Just sharing their findings.

• 32:39Speaker 01

  Right.

• 32:39Cameron Hanes?

And it wasn't a matter of, oh, it wasn't edited, or it wasn't like making archery look bad. It's just like, no, here's what we found.

• 32:48Speaker 01

  Right.

• 32:48Cameron Hanes?

And that's what I like about their journey. So the writings back then, even Fred Bear, he came on after that, but he was, you know, very, uh, just black and white about his experiences out there. And then that's how we've learned and that's how we've become more proficient and the equipment's become more deadly and be become more ethical hunters. But it was because of those guys and they were just saying, here's what we learned. Here's what works. Here's what doesn't work. And during this time, you know, there's even a stretch where people were putting poison pods on arrows. And so they would hit the animal anywhere and it would, it would kill them. It would basically respiratory type thing,

• 33:32Cameron Hanes?

but it would, it would, uh, kill them

• 33:35Speaker 01

  Right.

• 33:35Cameron Hanes?

from the pot, from the poison. And so that's all part of this process of like now we've, now we're with expandable heads and lighted NOCs and rangefinders. And it's just an evolution of kind of what we're doing. So they started at one end, we're at the other end, and it's all an important part of this whole journey. And, um, yeah, so I don't, I'm not an expert on those guys, on the forefathers, other than, you know, like I said, a few books that I've read.

• 34:03Speaker 01

Yeah. I, I think it's interesting because obviously a lot of, probably most hunters know of Pope and Young. And they, you know, they want an animal that qualifies for Pope and Young, but maybe didn't know who, or that those were even people.

• 34:15Cameron Hanes?

  Yeah.

• 34:16Speaker 01

Uh, but it is interesting you say that about our favorite haters, you know, because with their logic, them, you know, journaling their findings and all that with their logic would be just as bad of a crime as they accuse everyone else of today, you know? It's like, if we didn't have that, where would we be now? So.

• 34:37Cameron Hanes?

  Well.

• 34:38Speaker 01

Because something I found interesting, and I didn't know this was. Um, Saxon Pope produced the first bow hunting film from his trip to Alaska and I think it was nineteen twenty two and nineteen twenty three. And it's like, okay, well, there's a bow hunting film. Is that?

• 34:53Cameron Hanes?

  Oh, that's.

• 34:54Speaker 01

How many new hunters did that bring?

• 34:56Cameron Hanes?

That's terrible. Yeah, we're not supposed to talk about what we love.

• 35:00Speaker 01

  Yeah, right.

• 35:01Cameron Hanes?

Yeah. Meanwhile, this group of dip. It's the only time people ever care about what they post is if it's like me or Waddell or. If if it's just about them, nobody could give two. So they have to put up me killing something.

• 35:19Speaker 01

  Yeah.

• 35:20Cameron Hanes?

To get any kind of reaction or whatever. So it's just like, how is that any better than? I mean, if you're going to condemn me, what are you doing?

• 35:30Speaker 01

Yeah, you're doing. You're doing it for clicks and views too. So.

• 35:34Cameron Hanes?

But anyway, it's just to me. It's like what we do is we celebrate the lifestyle, which is important. That's what. That's what these guys that we're talking about have always done. We've always, you know, shared our experiences. Shared what we love, why we love the outdoors and the mountains and and the hunt itself. And, you know, we we just portray our experiences out there in the best, hopefully the best light. But sometimes we have tough lessons we learn too, and we're just honest about that. So. I mean, some people are honest. Some people kind of, you know, go out and.

• 36:11Cameron Hanes?

You know, I guess, forget to mention that they're supposed to be on a bow hunt and then kill something with a rifle and blame. Other like equipment malfunction and things like that.

• 36:23Speaker 01

  Interesting. Some people.

• 36:25Cameron Hanes?

  Some people. Yeah.

• 36:26Speaker 01

  You know, who knows?

• 36:27Cameron Hanes?

Some people that I'll never mention on this podcast again, and I used to like.

• 36:34Speaker 01

I did run across a quote by Pope and I really liked it because it reminds me a lot of you and your take. So I'm gonna read it.

• 36:41Cameron Hanes?

  Okay.

• 36:42Speaker 01

Maybe I should read it in a cinematic voice.

• 36:44Cameron Hanes?

Oh yeah, do it. Radio DJ voice.

• 36:48Speaker 01

  Wah wah wah wah.

• 36:49Cameron Hanes?

  Whoa.

• 36:52Speaker 01

  Okay.

• 36:54Speaker 01

"To you who follow us into the land of Robin Hood, let me say that what you need most is a great longing to come and perseverance. For if I should try to explain how we have accomplished even that little we have in hunting, I would protest that it is because we have held on to an idea and been persistent. In my own mind, the credit is ascribed to the fact that I have surrounded myself with good companions and tried again and again in spite of failure."

• 37:19Cameron Hanes?

Hmm, I like that. Who is that from?

• 37:21Speaker 01

  Pope.

• 37:22Cameron Hanes?

Yeah, I mean, that's bow hunting.

• 37:25Speaker 01

  Yeah.

• 37:25Cameron Hanes?

It's, uh, you know, we talk about it's, I don't know, I've heard analogies where like even the best baseball hitter fails seven out of 10 times type thing. Well, bow hunting is even harder than that.

• 37:37Speaker 01

  Yeah.

• 37:38Cameron Hanes?

You know, I mean, success with, with a bow on big bulls might be 1%. Who knows? I mean, just in general is like 10% and that's on any elk. So, um, there's a lot of failure. And if you're somebody who, I don't know, quits when the going gets tough, you're probably not going to be bow hunting very long.

• 37:59Speaker 01

Well, it's funny you say that because I have a quote by you.

• 38:02Cameron Hanes?

  Oh.

• 38:02Speaker 01

  Right after this.

• 38:03Cameron Hanes?

  Okay.

• 38:03Speaker 01

Or right after that. "What brings you fulfillment and a sense of purpose? Focus on that and foster a life built around it. Study your craft and spend time excelling in it, whatever it might be. Find others who share your passion and follow their footsteps. Love the journey and ignore thoughts of the finish line, as this is a race that never ends."

• 38:23Cameron Hanes?

Yeah. Yeah. I mean, that's how I feel. It's like, that's, you know, kinda a little bit of a nod to what Waddell was talking about as far as our forefathers of archery. Um, you gotta pay attention to the history. You gotta learn from it. You gotta embrace this lifestyle. And to me, it's not really a hobby. It's not like, oh, this is some, you know, a fun thing to do. This is my life, right? And I know not everybody's gonna have that, that approach, but that's how serious I take it. And it's like, um, I think when you have that attitude,

• 39:04Cameron Hanes?

It, I mean, it can change who you are. It's like when I'm in the mountains and I, I don't know, you, you, maybe you saw this, maybe you didn't, but it's just like when I'm there, I feel like connected, you know, I, when I think about like, we have, I don't even know where this film is or what, what's going on with it, but we have the Oregon elk film coming up and I had to go back in there the next morning and uh, kill that bull. Um, was hoping he was going to be dead. He wasn't, but that morning, I didn't get on blood and you could verify this or say that I'm full of shit, but didn't get on blood, didn't do anything, but just went to where I shot him,

• 39:45Cameron Hanes?

went into the trees and then just, just walked right to him.

• 39:54Cameron Hanes?

And so I just had, when you're like, to me, I've tried to like, I don't even know how to explain it, but sometimes I'm just like, I don't even know, I don't know how to explain it, but point is, it's like, you can just kind of know, or have this connection sort of with the, I want, I say the mountains, but also with the animal and you know, that, that bull was, I don't know. I mean, it was a ways away and I walked right to him and, and killed him.

• 40:25Speaker 01

Yeah. I mean, this is, that was something I had been, I'd noticed all of September.

• 40:32Speaker 01

And Oregon was just like the nail in the coffin for me, which I, I had just, what I had noticed is basically you have this innate ability to just, it almost seems like you know what's going to happen. It, it's, uh, it was unbelievable to watch. And then with Oregon, even with the setup, when you shot the bull and like, you know, we were moving fast, the, the light was fading and we were going through areas that otherwise would have been, you know, there could have been elk in them, but you know, we were moving quick through them and then like that we pop out and there's the herd. And I'm thinking, what the fuck is going on?

• 41:08Cameron Hanes?

  Yeah.

• 41:08Speaker 01

And then that next morning, yeah, I mean, it, it's exactly how you described it. You just, yeah, it was so, I wish, I don't know, I wish everyone could see it. Cause to me, it was, it was just kind of incredible to witness. Um, you know, I had told multiple people, I think I told Connor and I was just like, he, he has some connection. It's a pretty incredible.

• 41:32Cameron Hanes?

Yeah, I don't, I don't know how to explain anything, but all I know is like that whole night, I was just thinking about that so much and that moment, thinking about that bull, thinking about what happened and I was just like had in my head.

• 41:51Cameron Hanes?

I think, I don't know, I didn't think that, oh, he's gonna be right here, but when I got there, that's just where I went and I walked right to him.

• 42:01Speaker 01

  Yeah.

• 42:01Cameron Hanes?

And he was right there and you know, unfortunately I did have to shoot him again, but he was hurt, obviously.

• 42:09Cameron Hanes?

And that was emotional. I don't like that, but uh, but yeah, so there's something about like, when I talk about archery and bow hunting in the mountains, you know, like I say, I said earlier, not everybody's gonna have the same type of connection, but for me, man, there's something.

• 42:28Speaker 01

  Yeah.

• 42:28Cameron Hanes?

  There's something powerful.

• 42:30Speaker 01

I think you don't have to have the same connection, but you should at least strive to have the same respect for the craft.

• 42:36Cameron Hanes?

  Yeah.

• 42:37Speaker 01

I think that that can get lost and maybe it doesn't happen as much with like bow hunting, but I know there's a big thing with duck hunting right now. You know, like new kids coming up and they're like taking pictures with ducks biting on their bell and their mouth and shit and it's like.

• 42:51Cameron Hanes?

I don't like stuff like that.

• 42:53Speaker 01

  Me either.

• 42:53Cameron Hanes?

I don't like stuff like that. I love, you know, and I kinda, you know, I mentioned kinda talking shit, but what about, you know, I said something about somebody's on bow hunt, finished with the rifle, completely illegal. That was completely illegal. So it's not like, I'm not saying anybody did anything

• 43:14Cameron Hanes?

illegal or broke the law, cause on some of these hunts, like you got landowner tag, it's any weapon.

• 43:20Speaker 01

  Right.

• 43:20Cameron Hanes?

Right. But I'm just big on, if you're gonna talk about being transparent, then be transparent.

• 43:27Speaker 01

  Yeah.

• 43:27Cameron Hanes?

Because if you're, if you're not, or you know, there's a, there's, you know, this industry is whatever. I mentioned there's people I really respect, like the Waddell, a Remy Warren, a Levi Morgan.

• 43:43Cameron Hanes?

Yeah, a lot of people, Cole Kramer, who I, man, I really look up to and really have a lot of respect for. And then the people who maybe I've had or whatever, like there's some people who talk shit about me and that's fine, that's whatever. And then they're like, oh, well, it's taken out of context. And I'm looking at the text and I'm like, what? Not really. I mean, you're just talking shit. And it's just like, I see those type of people with that type of approach, or the people who aren't being 100% transparent when they say they are. And how can you ever expect to like, break through and have, and have good things happen to you when you're not, you're not doing it, doing what's right?

• 44:25Speaker 01

  Right. Yeah.

• 44:26Cameron Hanes?

You can't, you can't talk shit about people. You can't take shortcuts or not be truthful and expect good things to happen, expect you to keep growing and all these, you know, be rewarded with all, all this stuff. It's like, no, you have to do it right. Or it's just, that's not how the world works.

• 44:44Speaker 01

Yeah. And I, I think part of doing it right, too, is not doing it with the intention for good things to happen.

• 44:49Cameron Hanes?

Yeah. I mean, you know, that's, I say, the more you give, the more you receive, but not if you're giving.

• 44:55Speaker 01

  To receive.

• 44:56Cameron Hanes?

  To receive. Yeah. It's just, it's, it's, I don't know.

• 44:59Speaker 01

For everyone out there, I give. Without thinking of.

• 45:04Cameron Hanes?

Yeah. And I, and I'm, I mean, I'm not, I don't know where my stuff is, but it'd be nice if I could get it because I give a lot.

• 45:13Speaker 01

  Yeah.

• 45:15Cameron Hanes?

  I'm just kidding.

• 45:16Speaker 01

  Yeah.

• 45:17Cameron Hanes?

But no, it's, I don't know. And just some stuff seems so obvious, but uh, man, I just, sometimes I get, because, I mean, there's people who I really like and really respect, and then I get disappointed with. And it's like, who, who the am I? I'm, I'm, I'm a walking myself. So take that with a grain of salt. But I just know that any time in life where I've like,

• 45:44Cameron Hanes?

I, I just know that if I don't give all I have and do it right, do every, just like, do my best and do what, what's it, I don't know, like,

• 45:54Cameron Hanes?

Oh, I don't even know how to explain it, but you get what you deserve.

• 45:59Speaker 01

Yeah. Well, I think there's, I think there's some people out there too. We've talked about this is like, you can convince yourself of a false truth.

• 46:08Cameron Hanes?

  Yeah.

• 46:09Speaker 01

  You know?

• 46:09Cameron Hanes?

Oh, you start to believe it.

• 46:10Speaker 01

  Yeah, you say it enough.

• 46:11Cameron Hanes?

  You know bullshit.

• 46:12Speaker 01

And, and to that point, I guess they think they're doing everything right.

• 46:16Cameron Hanes?

Maybe, I mean, I don't know. I, whatever. I mean, people, you know, our egos kind of protect us and, and kind of lead us astray sometimes. And maybe it's part of that. And that's, I've, I've fallen victim to that too, where I've done, done shit where I'm like, why, why would I do that?

• 46:35Speaker 01

  Yeah.

• 46:35Cameron Hanes?

You know, look, when you get older, you're supposed to get smarter. So hopefully I have, but I understand how people make mistakes. And I just like, there's, there's, I don't know. I mean,

• 46:52Cameron Hanes?

I don't know what to say.

• 46:53Speaker 01

  Yeah.

• 46:55Speaker 01

Well, I'm not older, so I'm a dumbass and I am a walking fuck up. You can't take that title.

• 47:00Cameron Hanes?

Well, I am too. I mean, I, yeah, I don't have, I don't have all the answers. Sometimes I talk and probably shouldn't talk.

• 47:08Speaker 01

Well, we're trying not to talk out of our asses.

• 47:11Cameron Hanes?

Didn't start off too good because that's kind of where I started today on the Q and A. I actually don't think,

• 47:22Cameron Hanes?

I almost will just write out this Q and A with no edits.

• 47:27Speaker 01

I don't think it was too bad.

• 47:30Speaker 01

The only, the only bad part is when Larry chimed in, want me to get oiled up.

• 47:34Cameron Hanes?

  That's all right. I mean,

• 47:36Speaker 01

  But that's a great introduction.

• 47:38Speaker 03

Look, look, I just say what everyone else out there is afraid to say.

• 47:43Cameron Hanes?

Yeah, I, I was kind of disappointed Macy took off our Q and A idea.

• 47:49Speaker 01

What, people sending me dick pics?

• 47:51Cameron Hanes?

Well, just writing their question on, on their penis and then taking a picture and sending it to you.

• 47:58Speaker 01

I mean, we already talked about putting camo on our penis, so.

• 48:02Cameron Hanes?

Yeah. So it's like the theme of the show, penis.

• 48:11Speaker 01

  Next time.

• 48:12Cameron Hanes?

  Yeah, all right.

• 48:14Speaker 01

Think that's it. We can end it on.

• 48:21Cameron Hanes?

  Yeah, that's, that's a hard ending.

• 48:24Cameron Hanes?

  Yeah.

• 48:24Speaker 01

We had a good one and then, well, kind of fucked it up.

• 48:27Cameron Hanes?

  Which one?

• 48:28Speaker 01

Well, it was starting to kind of come to a natural wind down.

• 48:31Cameron Hanes?

Oh, yeah, no, we can't do that.

• 48:33Speaker 01

  The quotes.

• 48:34Cameron Hanes?

Yeah, no. We, we're never gonna end it where we should. Go too far.

• 48:41Speaker 01

  Leave it to me.

• 48:42Cameron Hanes?

All right. Well, there's a bonus Q and A. Don't take it with a grain of salt. Or wait, did I say that already once?

• 48:49Speaker 01

I think so. So two grains of salt.

• 48:51Cameron Hanes?

God, okay, take it with two grains of salt. But yeah, don't be, don't take it all, don't take any of it that serious.

• 48:57Speaker 01

  Yeah.

• 48:58Cameron Hanes?

I mean, I know you, I know people want to win the truck. That's cool. But don't go overboard.

• 49:03Speaker 01

Yeah. Listen, you know, it's already been scripted and so.

• 49:08Cameron Hanes?

Yeah, we already know who's gonna win.

• 49:09Speaker 01

  Yeah.

• 49:11Cameron Hanes?

Just, okay. First of all, it's a sweepstakes company. I have nothing to do with it. It's like, this is like, totally run by this whole third party thing. They're totaling up everything. I have nothing, absolutely nothing to do with who wins it.

• 49:26Speaker 01

We do not see or touch any, yeah.

• 49:30Cameron Hanes?

No, it's like state laws and lottery and who knows what. But yeah, I mean, I, I wish every person who was hopeful and, and wanted to win, I wish I had a truck for you. Trust me. I wish I could give them, give everybody a truck.

• 49:46Speaker 01

  Stay tuned.

• 49:47Cameron Hanes?

Yeah, I mean, you never know. But man, I just, you know, the winners we've had have been incredible and people talk about, well, oh, the first one seemed a little bit suspicious. Like, no, there is no suspicious anything.

• 50:00Speaker 01

Do people know that if it was, it would have been investigated and that's a huge crime?

• 50:04Cameron Hanes?

I mean, there's no, absolutely no funny business. Trust me.

• 50:10Cameron Hanes?

Yeah, I just want to give away cool stuff to to cool people and we've, you know, we've done it. This is, we've done it and it's been awesome.

• 50:17Speaker 01

Yeah, so there you go. Uh, nobody cares. Shut the fuck up.

• 50:23Cameron Hanes?

That's the new merch. So keep your eyes peeled. All right. Thanks for tuning in. Keep hammering.

• 50:33Cameron Hanes?

Larry out. Are you gonna, are you gonna sign off Larry?

• 50:36Speaker 01

  Yeah, what's your?

• 50:36Speaker 03

Yeah, it takes me a minute to reach the button over here.

• 50:40Speaker 01

And also the the headphones you're wearing have latency. So if you try and talk while listening.

• 50:45Speaker 03

I know I, I was trying to talk earlier and I sounded like I was stuttering.

• 50:53Cameron Hanes?

  Today, Junior.

• 50:55Speaker 03

Today, dude, Ju- Ju- Junior. Anyways, nobody cares. Shut, shut the fuck up.

• 51:04Cameron Hanes?

All right, guys. We're out of here.
