• 1:22Corinne Vien?

  Hi.

• 1:22Sabrina Deana-Roga?

I have a ghost story for you.

• 1:23Corinne Vien?

  Already?

• 1:24Sabrina Deana-Roga?

  Oh, yeah.

• 1:25Corinne Vien?

But this is Two Girls One Ghost.

• 1:26Sabrina Deana-Roga?

Two girls, one ghost. And we are your ghost stories. That's Corinne.

• 1:30Corinne Vien?

  Hello.

• 1:31Sabrina Deana-Roga?

  And I'm Sabrina.

• 1:32Corinne Vien?

How appropriate. We have ghost stories.

• 1:34Sabrina Deana-Roga?

This is a ghost podcast and even a ghost story. It's so appropriate. So I was in Atlanta this past weekend for Pain had like a live show. And Maggie Freeling and Lauren Orton and all the Tenderfoot type people were there. And Maggie's partner is this like ex-special ops Viking looking guy. Like he's massive. And Maggie's tiny. And he just, he reminds me of, have you ever met Brad Lee's?

• 2:00Corinne Vien?

  Uh, yeah.

• 2:01Sabrina Deana-Roga?

Yeah, he's like that. He's just huge.

• 2:03Corinne Vien?

Our friend Lee has a massive husband. And she has this series on Instagram where it's like Big Brad, little, and like insert something, so it'll be like Big Brad or Little Cup. And it'll look like the tiniest little cup, and he's actually holding like a chalice. So it looks like a teacup in his hands.

• 2:19Sabrina Deana-Roga?

So he's like that. And I don't even know how it came up. Oh, Maggie was like, oh, Greg has a ghost story. But she was like, the caveat is, he doesn't really believe in ghosts. And I was like-

• 2:30Corinne Vien?

I feel like that's half of the emails we get too, where people are like, I am a skeptic, but here's the most terrifying thing that's ever happened to me.

• 2:36Sabrina Deana-Roga?

Yeah, or like, I've never experienced anything paranormal, but this one happened, and this happened, and this happened.

• 2:41Corinne Vien?

And I was addicted by aliens, and then there were sleep paralysis, and then my pet chihuahua came back from the grave and tracked his little dirty paws through my house. Yeah, you're haunted.

• 2:50Sabrina Deana-Roga?

Yeah, you're haunted. So Greg's haunted, or was. When he was 15, him, his younger sister, and his mom lived in this house in Connecticut. And he's super vague about like, what was happening. But clearly, stuff ramped up to a point. He said like, he started like hearing things, and like, it would be like people walking around as if someone was home, but no one else would be home.

• 3:12Corinne Vien?

The classic beginnings of a haunted house.

• 3:14Sabrina Deana-Roga?

Right. It got to a point where he said he thinks he saw a physical apparition of something. Again, unclear, but it got to a point where his mother called the landlord and was like, hey, we have to break the lease. Because of the hauntings. Guess what the landlord's response was? I'm so sorry. I thought she had left.

• 3:36Corinne Vien?

Are you kidding me? That's like, probably the worst response to ever hear. That's so scary.

• 3:40Sabrina Deana-Roga?

  Isn't it terrifying?

• 3:42Corinne Vien?

I thought she had left. Who is she?

• 3:45Sabrina Deana-Roga?

  That's the question.

• 3:46Corinne Vien?

And what the hell happened to all the other people who had lived there before?

• 3:49Sabrina Deana-Roga?

  And what had they done-

• 3:50Corinne Vien?

  I thought she had left.

• 3:51Sabrina Deana-Roga?

-to think that she had left?

• 3:53Corinne Vien?

And how intense was it to need to break the lease?

• 3:56Sabrina Deana-Roga?

  Right.

• 3:57Corinne Vien?

I feel like we all can, we all have the stamina to endorse some light level hauntings.

• 4:02Sabrina Deana-Roga?

  Right.

• 4:02Corinne Vien?

So it must have been a little bit more.

• 4:04Sabrina Deana-Roga?

It must have been enough where, yeah, if you're breaking a lease-

• 4:06Corinne Vien?

And maybe she wasn't sharing everything with her son. You know, don't spoof the child.

• 4:10Sabrina Deana-Roga?

Well, because I think it sounded like Greg was almost experiencing the most.

• 4:14Corinne Vien?

Hmm. I wonder if he remembers all the details, or if he started to block it out? Does it become a little fuzzy?

• 4:19Sabrina Deana-Roga?

I don't know. He also, having been special ops, had like, really high clearance, but it was specific to what he was doing in the military. So he's like, I don't believe in aliens, because I have high clearance. Like, he had the highest clearance in his-

• 4:34Corinne Vien?

That sounds like something someone would say who had high clearance, who gets asked about aliens a lot.

• 4:39Sabrina Deana-Roga?

And then I was like, also, there's probably a higher clearance that you don't know about because you're not cleared to know about that higher clearance.

• 4:45Corinne Vien?

Oh, 100%. I think whoever we can think of as being the highest person to have clearance is still not the highest.

• 4:51Sabrina Deana-Roga?

Like, this is a conspiracy broadcast. And aliens are real, okay? Speaking of aliens, should we just get into it?

• 4:59Corinne Vien?

Yes, you have your green on, I should have done the same.

• 5:02Sabrina Deana-Roga?

  I got this from Amazon.

• 5:03Corinne Vien?

Because you're a pro Amazon shopper. You need to do like an Amazon storefront.

• 5:06Sabrina Deana-Roga?

But can I tell you what I... So I ordered this on Amazon and I get this like package that I'm like, what is this? I'm not kidding. I think it's the same brand, but I think they accidentally sent me like an outdoor fire pit cover.

• 5:20Corinne Vien?

  Ah.

• 5:21Sabrina Deana-Roga?

  Instead of this.

• 5:22Corinne Vien?

  Oh, just the cover?

• 5:23Sabrina Deana-Roga?

Yeah, do you need the fire pit cover?

• 5:24Corinne Vien?

No, I thought you got a free like whole fire pit for a second.

• 5:26Sabrina Deana-Roga?

No, I wish. No, um, I was like, well, this is not the sweater I ordered.

• 5:32Corinne Vien?

  Nice, metal lid.

• 5:33Sabrina Deana-Roga?

Okay, so today, in honor of Christmas, we're going to talk about the Rendlesham Forest Incident.

• 5:40Corinne Vien?

  I know nothing about this.

• 5:42Sabrina Deana-Roga?

The Woodbridge Airfield is an American Air Force base in eastern England. And on December 26, 1980, it was the site of one of the most infamous and most documented reported alien encounters slash sightings to date.

• 5:56Corinne Vien?

I'm on the edge of my seat. I'm like, do they get abducted? Do they shake hands? Do they have tea together? I have no idea.

• 6:03Sabrina Deana-Roga?

I guess I should clarify UFO sightings. And I have an audio clip to play for you.

• 6:08Speaker 04

Woodbridge Field was the site of something that witnesses say seemed to be taken from science fiction.

• 6:14Speaker 05

Hey, this is Erie. Want to do the hotspot? This is strange. Erie, someone want to look at the spots in the ground?

• 6:22Speaker 04

It was not an aircraft. It was an aircraft. It speeded up and it came towards the lodge.

• 6:31Speaker 05

Come back here, somebody put a beam on him. You're going to have to be back there 15, please. See it? Okay, lights off.

• 6:42Speaker 05

He took this long to document.

• 6:44Speaker 04

Flying saucers, mysterious lights, and even aliens.

• 6:49Corinne Vien?

I'm so curious because they seem so calm when they're saying like, put the beam on, someone put the beam on it. Are they actually shitting themselves when they're trying to give their orders?

• 6:58Sabrina Deana-Roga?

It's so crazy. I literally have it. So there's another clip we'll play in a little bit, but like it's an 18 minute clip where you can listen to the whole thing. And we'll link it in the show notes of this episode. It's 18 minutes and you even hear them say, it's so eerie. It's so strange, but like, yeah, they're talking like military people.

• 7:16Corinne Vien?

Yeah, like very do, do, do, do.

• 7:17Sabrina Deana-Roga?

  Yeah.

• 7:17Corinne Vien?

But inside are probably like shrieking.

• 7:20Sabrina Deana-Roga?

Yeah. So this is the Rendlesham Forest Incident, sometimes called or referred to as the Roswell of the UK.

• 7:28Corinne Vien?

  Ah.

• 7:29Sabrina Deana-Roga?

Mm hmm. Also, I want to shout out Payne and High Strange because he basically sent me all the audio files and interviews that they did with Charles Halt and Jim Pennison, who are two of the witnesses, the original, like who were there the night of, nights of.

• 7:45Corinne Vien?

  Oh, multiple nights.

• 7:46Sabrina Deana-Roga?

Yes. Okay. So as some background, Rendlesham Forest is a 3,700 acre woodland in Suffolk, England. It is a large recreational area with bike paths, running paths, places to camp and so much more. And as of, I think like 2005, they created a UFO trail. Like literally in honor of.

• 8:04Corinne Vien?

That's so cool. I like that.

• 8:06Sabrina Deana-Roga?

Yeah. So kind of like Roswell-y.

• 8:07Corinne Vien?

  Yeah, touristy.

• 8:08Sabrina Deana-Roga?

  Right.

• 8:09Corinne Vien?

It's for people like us who want to, want to see something when we go there.

• 8:12Sabrina Deana-Roga?

Exactly. The only thing is because the Royal Air Force Woodbridge Airfield is such a, it's like a military base. There's not much like, it's not Roswell in the way that Roswell is. They didn't feed into it. It's not like a town that you can all go visit and it's all alien themed. But there is one trail that you can hike. That's the UFO trail. In 1943, much of the area was cleared for construction of the Royal Air Force Woodbridge Airfield, which we're going to call RAF. A lot of words RAF was constructed in nineteen forty-three as a military airfield during World War Two to assist any damaged aircrafts returning from German raids. Then around nineteen forty-seven, as tensions are rising with Russia during like the Cold War,

• 8:54Sabrina Deana-Roga?

the United States took ownership of the airbase and it has been home to various fighter squadrons. Gradually it was phased down during the early nineties. As of two thousand and six, it now operates as the Ministry of Defence Woodbridge, operated by the British Army. And then there was like plans to like phase it out completely and no longer have it as a military base, but then they were like, just kidding, we need it.

• 9:16Corinne Vien?

  Oh, okay.

• 9:16Sabrina Deana-Roga?

  Because the world is scary.

• 9:18Corinne Vien?

  Yeah.

• 9:18Sabrina Deana-Roga?

Okay, so the Rendlesham Forest Incident took place at the end of nineteen eighty and during that time, the RAF was operated as a twin airfield for the Bentwaters eighty-first, seventy-ninth, and twentieth Tactical Fighter Wing, and then the seventy-eighth Fighter Inceptor Squadron. And there was an American high school that was built on the base.

• 9:38Sabrina Deana-Roga?

So for people with kids to have their kids go to school.

• 9:40Corinne Vien?

Yeah, that's all of my mom's stories growing up because my grandpa was in the Air Force. So like all of her stories are about base.

• 9:47Sabrina Deana-Roga?

  Yeah.

• 9:47Corinne Vien?

  Being on base.

• 9:48Sabrina Deana-Roga?

Living on base. So now you have context. So there's all these different squadrons of American military men and women and families living on the base. And this brings us to the incident. Over the course of three days, multiple witnesses stationed at the Woodbridge Airfield reported seeing UFOs. And so these have been based on the like Freedom of Information Act. These are accessible to the public. In the documents, they say that two UFO incidents were investigated by the Air Force when, over the course of a couple of days, a triangular luminous flying object with a red light on top and a series of blue lights underneath was spotted.

• 10:26Corinne Vien?

So it was the same thing for three days. All these different people saw this exact same aircraft, not just like numerous unidentified objects.

• 10:34Sabrina Deana-Roga?

There are numerous and it was two specific incidents over the course of three days.

• 10:39Corinne Vien?

  Okay.

• 10:40Sabrina Deana-Roga?

Another description in the document states citing a circular translucent ground hugging disk with various lights moving erratically about the night sky, one of which occasionally beamed a shaft of white light downward. So like the typical

• 10:56Corinne Vien?

  She sucked up the cow.

• 10:57Sabrina Deana-Roga?

Sucking up the cow. And there are barnyard animals involved in this story.

• 11:01Corinne Vien?

  No way.

• 11:02Sabrina Deana-Roga?

I don't think any were hurt.

• 11:03Corinne Vien?

  Aye, not the cows.

• 11:05Sabrina Deana-Roga?

December 26, 1980, the day after Christmas Boxing Day, which is why we're doing this story right around the holidays with our tree, our spooky Christmas tree.

• 11:17Corinne Vien?

With a million little spends all over.

• 11:19Sabrina Deana-Roga?

I can't get over how they're hung. Anyway, it's 3 a.m. When security patrol near the east gate of the RAF Woodbridge saw strange lights descending into the nearby Rendlesham Forest. Naturally, they're like, this seems concerning. What's going on? Did an aircraft crash in the woods? So they call it into command center. One of these men who's working in the command center's name is Jim Peniston. He is, or was at that time, fifth generation military, security police, a flight chief, staff sergeant. And he was doing his job. I think he had like just done like some patrol thing that he had to do. And he walks back into the command center to get a cup of coffee. When someone else there is like, hey, Peniston, they're calling for you on the radio.

• 12:04Sabrina Deana-Roga?

And he's like, what's going on? And they're like, there's an incident over by the east gate. You have to head over there right now. And Peniston's like, okay, well, like, what's going on? And they're like, they'll brief you when you get there. It's super

• 12:16Corinne Vien?

  That's scary.

• 12:17Sabrina Deana-Roga?

Strained. So yeah, so Peniston's like, what the fuck am I walking into?

• 12:20Corinne Vien?

Right. And also I'm confused about being on this base and having all the technology that they had. Nothing showed up on, were they not already being like, wait, nothing showed up on the radar?

• 12:30Sabrina Deana-Roga?

So I think something did show up on the radar, but it like kind of, it was confusing.

• 12:35Corinne Vien?

Because otherwise I'd be extra spooked if there were just lights in the woods and none of our equipment picked up on anything.

• 12:41Sabrina Deana-Roga?

They did pick up on something and I think like going out to it, they were like, it must be just like an aircraft that dumped. And also keep in mind, this is Is like Cold War stuff. So like they as the US Army Base are like, what the fuck is this? Like a spy situation?

• 12:56Corinne Vien?

  Yeah, yeah.

• 12:57Sabrina Deana-Roga?

What are we walking into? So Peniston's like, okay, well, this is really weird and strange, but he goes over to the East Gate and he's like, what's going on? Apparently, the man who's patrolling just points over to the forest.

• 13:09Corinne Vien?

  Oh, my God.

• 13:10Sabrina Deana-Roga?

And there, in the forest, is a light, a red slash orange light flickering. And the closest Peniston could describe it, he was like, it looked and glowed as if something was on fire. But the strangest thing was that over top it was this like white light bubble, like almost like a force shield.

• 13:28Corinne Vien?

  Yeah.

• 13:29Sabrina Deana-Roga?

  Is what I'm imagining.

• 13:30Corinne Vien?

That's so strange. I was picturing, you know, those little rubber toys where you pop, like you put them.

• 13:35Sabrina Deana-Roga?

Why haven't we talked about these recently?

• 13:37Corinne Vien?

I think that's why I'm thinking of it, because you brought it up a few episodes ago.

• 13:40Sabrina Deana-Roga?

Oh, we talked about it with Georgia, which is an episode that's coming out next year.

• 13:43Corinne Vien?

  Oh, yeah.

• 13:45Sabrina Deana-Roga?

  Teaser.

• 13:46Corinne Vien?

  That's.

• 13:46Sabrina Deana-Roga?

We talked about putting them in our mouths.

• 13:48Corinne Vien?

Yes. Okay, so I'm thinking of that, where it's like, just like a big rubber dome.

• 13:53Sabrina Deana-Roga?

I'm also picturing, is it The Simpsons?

• 13:55Corinne Vien?

Oh, yes. Where they live in the bubble? It's a Simpsons movie. That's the whole movie.

• 14:03Speaker 00

• 14:34Sabrina Deana-Roga?

So now Peniston, like his order, I guess, like based on protocols and stuff, is to call this in. He's like, this is a security problem now. We have to call it in, report it. And so a team of five servicemen now, including Peniston, head into the forest to go investigate. And they approach the scene of what they think is an unidentified crashed aircraft. So like an aircraft from, it's not theirs. It's not, it's not a US military aircraft. Instead, they are confused to see strange and unusual lights. And they craft like object hovering above the ground, perhaps landing. And that was one thing is when Pennison got to East Gate, he was like, did something crash?

• 15:15Sabrina Deana-Roga?

And the people patrolling were like, no, the way that this object came in and down from the sky, it looked purposefully as if it was landing. Knowing this land, like Rendlesham Forest is all these wooded trees. If you look at an aerial shot of it, which I don't have, but

• 15:31Corinne Vien?

Just like a canopy of trees. Are there any clearings?

• 15:34Sabrina Deana-Roga?

Not really, not like big enough, not even big enough for a helicopter to come in and land. So this is strange, another strange thing. So they see this object hovering, almost landing. It was definitely not a crashed aircraft. And there's a photo of a man named Burrows, one of the five men who's like in this patrol service patrol. He reported hearing a noise like a woman was screaming and animals making noise. So there's a farmland like right next to Rendlesham.

• 16:05Corinne Vien?

Oh my God, do you think a woman was abducted and just doesn't know? And she was screaming or her memory was wiped?

• 16:10Sabrina Deana-Roga?

  There's a moment.

• 16:11Corinne Vien?

Or she thought it was a night terror?

• 16:12Sabrina Deana-Roga?

I for sure believe, and I'm so curious if there are people who live in this area who have like weird encounters from that weekend where they've lost time or anything because there are so many moments where like occasionally flashes of beam light would go down from these objects in the night sky. And I'm like, well, what are they doing?

• 16:33Corinne Vien?

  Yeah. One hundred percent.

• 16:35Sabrina Deana-Roga?

  One hundred percent.

• 16:36Corinne Vien?

They heard someone actively being abducted and shrieking.

• 16:39Sabrina Deana-Roga?

That's what I believe. We believe everything. What do we not believe? Okay, so this object was triangular in shape, three meters wide, emitting a pulsing bright light. It appeared to be moving through the trees, glowing and metallic. And the patrolmen reported that the animals on the nearby farm were going into a frenzy, which trust your animals, trust your pets. It also reminds me of, um, nope. Where like the horses and all of the farm animals are going crazy.

• 17:08Corinne Vien?

I was thinking about Nope a few days ago when someone posted like a weird cloud on TikTok or whatever.

• 17:13Sabrina Deana-Roga?

  Oh, yeah.

• 17:13Corinne Vien?

And I was like, oh, that was such a good detail in Nope. The one cloud that just never moved.

• 17:19Sabrina Deana-Roga?

What was the cartoon where the whole sky was aircrafts? Why do I want to say Chicken Little, but it's not that.

• 17:25Corinne Vien?

Wait, the sky was aircrafts or like they lived? Are you thinking of like the Jetsons where they all like?

• 17:30Sabrina Deana-Roga?

No, like it was basically like the entire, what we thought was the sky was actually like a reflection that like spacecrafts were admitting.

• 17:39Corinne Vien?

I have no idea. Maybe, I'm not sure I've ever seen Chicken Little.

• 17:44Sabrina Deana-Roga?

  Sorry.

• 17:45Corinne Vien?

  I told you.

• 17:46Sabrina Deana-Roga?

Someone's screaming at us right now. So amongst this chaos, Jim Penison, who's the guy I was just talking about in the beginning, he is having trouble reaching command. He's never had this problem before. So there's something interfering with communications and comms. And at some point, I think he gets separated from the rest of the group. And he's taking photos with his camera and he begins to see a bright white light. And the atmosphere around him changed. Like it felt like he was walking through static.

• 18:15Corinne Vien?

That's so weird. And he kept going forward.

• 18:18Sabrina Deana-Roga?

Really nervous. Yeah. And he's moving forward and he's moving towards this bright light. And the bright light exploded so bright that he, like all of his instincts, he thinks like some explosion is happening. He drops to the ground terrified. And he was like, despite all of my training, I knew that this was nothing I had ever trained for.

• 18:37Corinne Vien?

  Wow.

• 18:38Sabrina Deana-Roga?

And he fully believed he was going to die.

• 18:40Corinne Vien?

Isn't that so scary? To be in that moment and yet to be like the most equipped you could be as a person. Because you've just gotten all of this training and realize you're so incredibly helpless. You are just a little tiny human.

• 18:54Sabrina Deana-Roga?

Yeah, because you have no idea what you're dealing with.

• 18:56Corinne Vien?

  Yeah.

• 18:56Sabrina Deana-Roga?

When the light dissipated and he could finally get his bearings, he stands up and he makes note of a craft so close to him. He could touch it. It was black, even it was glass like. And there's a picture of what it looked like to him. It had beams of light pouring out from underneath it. And he recounts that it was solid, fixed to the ground.

• 19:17Corinne Vien?

  Wow.

He drew it. And he, you know, knowing aircrafts, he works on a military air force base, like, he is looking for exhaust. He's looking for anything that you could recognize from an aircraft. And he doesn't see anything. There's no evidence of how this craft flies. Like it just scientifically, based on his aircraft knowledge is like, there's nothing indicating that this can travel or work the way that we know.

• 19:46Corinne Vien?

Or slice in between trees in a densely packed forest.

• 19:49Sabrina Deana-Roga?

Exactly. And then that electric feeling comes back. He still cannot connect to command center. He is alone with this craft. And then as he's like circumnavigating it, looking around it, he sees symbols, lettering. He recounts in, it's episode four of High Strange. He recounts being like, phew, like I'm gonna see, it says NASA, like I'm gonna see, it's gonna say where this is from, like or like what country it is. But he realizes these are symbols he has never seen before. The closest thing he can compare it to are like glyphs.

• 20:24Corinne Vien?

Oh, interesting. I also find it interesting just that like an alien species would label their craft. Cause that feels like a human thing to do.

• 20:34Sabrina Deana-Roga?

Well, are aliens just humans from the future or wherever?

• 20:38Corinne Vien?

Or from the past and we're the version of a reset humanity?

• 20:42Sabrina Deana-Roga?

Honestly, wouldn't be surprised if aliens are Egyptians.

• 20:46Corinne Vien?

Okay, we are staying with the train of thought, cause that's exactly where I was at. As if they have things going on. They understood energy.

• 20:53Sabrina Deana-Roga?

  They knew way more.

• 20:54Corinne Vien?

  Pyramid conspiracy land.

• 20:57Sabrina Deana-Roga?

I mean, that spacecraft kinda looks pyramid like.

• 21:00Corinne Vien?

That is true. There are points.

• 21:02Sabrina Deana-Roga?

There are points. They were not as phallic obsessed.

• 21:06Sabrina Deana-Roga?

They were more advanced than we.

• 21:08Corinne Vien?

They were, and they loved cats.

• 21:10Sabrina Deana-Roga?

And they loved cats, which makes me love them. Okay, so he is like examining these symbols and all of a sudden that light flashes again. And when he could see again, the craft was gone. Pennison was so unsettled, he truly, he honestly was like, is this even real? Am I actually seeing this or am I hallucinating? Like, he was so confounded and so confused because it was so out of anything he could explain.

• 21:35Corinne Vien?

  Right.

• 21:36Sabrina Deana-Roga?

That he was like, I don't know if I'm making this up.

• 21:39Corinne Vien?

Reality shattering in front of you. Yeah, you're like, oh, my God, am I suddenly hallucinating? Or am I experiencing psychosis?

• 21:45Sabrina Deana-Roga?

Right, exactly. He could not determine what was real and what was not. And to this day, the events of that evening are confounding and traumatic. This is a quote from when he was interviewed for High Strange. "Everything here is a trigger. There's no way around it. What I was seeing was stuff I had never encountered in my life or since then. And the trauma of dealing with it. He said, "I've always been able to tell you everything it wasn't, but there is a problem when it comes to what it was. I do not know." And he even says, like, in that episode, he's like, "I'm gonna have nightmares tonight because I'm recounting it."

• 22:19Corinne Vien?

  Yeah.

• 22:20Sabrina Deana-Roga?

Also, so I, in doing research to this episode, I was like purely just trying to find the timeline events, like a very like straightforward timeline of events, which it's impossible to find straightforward timeline. Because a lot of, I'm telling you the story in the way, like, how it happened in the, in the reality, like, timeline of it. But most of the accounts are kind of disjointed because it's different people's perspectives. And like a higher officer put it all together.

• 22:47Corinne Vien?

  Oh, okay.

• 22:48Sabrina Deana-Roga?

And it's like, I came in on the 28th, and this is what happened on the 28th. But then going back and hearing from other people, this is what happened on the 26th, this is what happened on the 28th. It gets kind of like disjointed.

• 22:58Corinne Vien?

It's all over, all over the place.

• 23:00Sabrina Deana-Roga?

Yeah, the information was disseminated in like a disorganized way. But Jim Pennison has written multiple books. One of them is The Timeline, and I was like, hell, yeah, it's gonna be so straightforward. Listen, I opened this ebook on my Kindle. It is a thousand and sixty-six pages.

• 23:18Corinne Vien?

Jim! Is there like, you know, when you read fantasy books, when you open it up and there's a map that shows you kind of like where all the lands are? Does he not have that on the very first page?

• 23:28Sabrina Deana-Roga?

  No.

• 23:29Corinne Vien?

Here's, you know, twelve hundred B.C.

• 23:32Sabrina Deana-Roga?

Nope, it starts with the Brief History of Woodbridge.

• 23:35Corinne Vien?

Wow, Jim can write. Those fingers are flying.

• 23:38Sabrina Deana-Roga?

And then the epilogue is a code within a code about an ancient code. Because I think he's trying to understand like the hieroglyphs and the symbols that he saw. If you're curious and want to read more about it, it's called the Rendlesham Enigma Book One Timeline. And I think this is what he thinks the symbols look like.

• 23:55Corinne Vien?

Oh, they totally look Egyptian. This is also reminding me of when we would make up secret languages as kids. Or like in middle school, we'd like type to each other on the computer using webdings, like me and friends or whatever. And then you have to...

• 24:08Sabrina Deana-Roga?

It's like when you sent me that friggin' postcard.

• 24:11Corinne Vien?

  Oh, yeah, I forgot it.

• 24:12Sabrina Deana-Roga?

And I was like, what the fuck is this?

• 24:14Corinne Vien?

Figure it out. I created a cipher.

• 24:20Corinne Vien?

It's like, you gotta figure this out eventually.

• 24:21Sabrina Deana-Roga?

But you had handwritten it, so I'm like, how am I supposed to recreate this on?

• 24:27Corinne Vien?

  Gotta figure it out.

• 24:28Sabrina Deana-Roga?

  I think I, I mean, eventually I did.

• 24:30Corinne Vien?

I think you did pretty quick. I might have told you.

• 24:32Sabrina Deana-Roga?

No, I needed, I was like, what is this script? What have you done? Okay, so this, we're still, it's the night of the twenty-sixth, December twenty-sixth. The only issue with Peniston's account of the craft is he's alone. So of all of the things that happened over the course of these three nights, this is the only portion of it where there's no other witness. That Peniston was alone, which is also even scarier for him because he's already questioning reality. He's like, is it real? I was alone. No one else saw it. And I don't think his photos that he took ended up, like, again, it was interfering with all technology and everything. So I don't think he ended up getting anything on camera.

• 25:11Sabrina Deana-Roga?

So the rest of the service team did see enough because as they're patrolling, they see more lights in the sky, crafts hovering over the farm, and more. So at around four a.m. I believe it's protocol to call the local police and that's what they did. They called the local police who came in and they scoffed and they were like, that's just the light from the Orphaness Lighthouse, which is miles away on the coast.

• 25:35Corinne Vien?

And also, how does that just like, that makes no sense. Okay.

• 25:38Sabrina Deana-Roga?

So, look, here's a map. Lighthouse is here. Reddleton Forest is over here.

• 25:44Corinne Vien?

So, a light from a lighthouse is supposed to travel over all the hills and terrain and somehow penetrate inside, underneath the canopy of the trees in a densely packed forest.

• 25:56Sabrina Deana-Roga?

And then simultaneously be in multiple places at once and create massive flashes of light that Peniston thinks is an explosion and causes all the farm animals to go crazy and is emitting beams down from the sky.

• 26:12Corinne Vien?

Wouldn't that be a nightly event then?

• 26:14Sabrina Deana-Roga?

Right. Rather than just two nights over the course of three nights. So, the Suffolk Constabulatory, no, Constabulary.

• 26:21Corinne Vien?

Doesn't matter how you say it. Still a new word to me.

• 26:24Sabrina Deana-Roga?

There is a file on the case that was released in 2005 under the UK's Freedom of Information Act and that also can be accessed on their website. But there's a letter dated July 28th, 1999, written by Inspector Mike Topless.

• 26:40Corinne Vien?

  Nice.

• 26:41Sabrina Deana-Roga?

I like it. He notes that one of the police constables who attended the scene on the first night returned to the site in daylight in case he had missed anything. Because since all of this, everyone's like, well, the police didn't actually investigate it enough or they're trying to cover it up. Because they went out there that night and they're like, we don't see anything. Like what they saw, they were like, that's caused by animals. There's like indentations and they're like, hmm, an animal did that. And if there's like, tree branches broken, they're like, an animal did that, which I understand.

• 27:09Corinne Vien?

  Yeah, yeah, yeah.

• 27:09Sabrina Deana-Roga?

And also, if you're the police coming out there and you didn't see any of that, of course, your first explanation is gonna be something that you can base in reality.

• 27:19Corinne Vien?

Yeah, but this isn't like some- Teenager, this is like a whole group of military people saying,

• 27:25Sabrina Deana-Roga?

  What the fuck?

• 27:26Corinne Vien?

Hey, you should be aware of this.

• 27:28Sabrina Deana-Roga?

  Yes.

• 27:29Corinne Vien?

I would imagine that you wouldn't write things off so quickly. It seems like they did.

• 27:33Sabrina Deana-Roga?

As a police officer, you're doing it based off of evidence and they don't see any evidence. And the evidence that they see can be explained as animals. So it's quoted, "There was nothing to be seen and he remains uncommenced that the occurrence was genuine." "The immediate area was swept by powerful light beams from a landing beacon at RAF Bentwaters and the Orfordness Lighthouse." "I know from personal experience that at night, in certain weather and cloud conditions, "these beams are very pronounced and certainly can cause strange visual effects." The lighthouse keeper was like, absolutely not. He debunked the theory.

• 28:10Corinne Vien?

Yeah, it doesn't really take, I think an elementary school child could debunk that theory.

• 28:17Sabrina Deana-Roga?

  Or conspiracy theorists like us.

• 28:20Corinne Vien?

  It just doesn't make sense.

• 28:21Sabrina Deana-Roga?

Or just people who believe in aliens and like,

• 28:23Corinne Vien?

  But also like,

• 28:24Sabrina Deana-Roga?

When you hear the whole story.

• 28:26Corinne Vien?

Police are all about evidence. Give me the evidence that a lighthouse can do this.

• 28:29Sabrina Deana-Roga?

Let's stand here for days and make sure.

• 28:31Corinne Vien?

  Show me.

• 28:32Sabrina Deana-Roga?

Doing their due diligence, they did search the wooded area and found three strange impressions on the ground in a triangular pattern, "as well as burn slash singe markings and broken branches." There is one photo that has been published in the book, "You Can't Tell the People." You can't, it's such an old, dark photo that you can't really see or tell anything, but it's,

• 28:54Corinne Vien?

Hmm, yeah, there's like a little, a little, uh,

• 28:57Sabrina Deana-Roga?

  Little something.

• 28:58Corinne Vien?

  Something.

• 28:59Sabrina Deana-Roga?

Again, the police claimed animals. Had things ended there, sure, maybe it all could have been written off.

• 29:04Corinne Vien?

  Mm hmm.

• 29:04Sabrina Deana-Roga?

But it didn't end there. And what these men and many to follow encountered in that dark Rendlesham Forest in 1980 remains a mystery to this day. Apparently the British government never investigated it as a security threat. They were like, we don't believe we are in danger. But they did investigate it. And there's endless documentation and books about this incident, one of which I mentioned, the Jim Pennison one. Payne and his team talked to Charles Halt, whose testimony, Is incredible, not only because the event has been so ingrained in his memory, but he has original documentation and audio, audio documentation from that night 44 years ago.

• 29:44Corinne Vien?

  Interesting.

• 29:45Sabrina Deana-Roga?

  And that's the 18 minute.

• 29:46Corinne Vien?

  He kept it.

• 29:47Sabrina Deana-Roga?

  Yeah.

• 29:47Corinne Vien?

Cause I feel like so often these things just disappear or they end up in someone's garage somewhere. Which I guess that's like how Greg and Dana find so many things where it's like, you know, someone scrolls it away. And then 40 years later, there's some widow that's like, oh, what do I do with this?

• 30:01Sabrina Deana-Roga?

What do I find? Yeah. Look at this thing.

• 30:35Sabrina Deana-Roga?

Well, so Charles Halt, he was a deputy base commander. So he worked at Woodbridge Air Force. And this cassette tape that he ended up recording 18 minutes of that evening. But my question is, is that all he recorded or is there some of it that's missing?

• 30:50Corinne Vien?

  Right.

• 30:51Sabrina Deana-Roga?

Although Charles Halt talks about it so openly. So he, I think he would have said if, if there's anything missing. But because he's working for the military, that stuff went into record. Again, you can listen to the full 18 minutes. I'm going to play another clip in a minute. But the following is Charles Halt's testimony. Charles Halt is now in his late seventies and he remembers the day as if it were yesterday. It has left a mark on him and is still unexplained. And in his own words, he says that it being unexplained is a burden. Like it's really hard for him to still, to this day, not understand what it was.

• 31:26Corinne Vien?

What happened? Yeah. He went through a, a traumatic event.

• 31:29Sabrina Deana-Roga?

Yeah. All of these men did.

• 31:31Corinne Vien?

  Yeah.

• 31:31Sabrina Deana-Roga?

So it's 1980. Charles Halt was a deputy base commander working at the Woodbridge Airfield. September 27th, Charles Halt walks into the police station and was greeted by a. Desk surgeon who could not wait to tell halt what happened the night prior. He's like belly laughing, hardly capable of getting it out like you're not gonna believe this. Last night, Burrows, Peniston and Kaba's neck were out in the woods chasing UFOs all last night. Ha ha.

• 31:59Corinne Vien?

  These little boys.

• 32:01Sabrina Deana-Roga?

And halt like, okay, like definitely need to look into that, but they continue on with their day. And then it's December 28th and I'm not sure what time this is all happening. And I'm not sure if it was like December 27th into the like early morning of December 28th. But basically the officers are celebrating the Christmas party. Forty two officers were at the Woody bar. They just eaten dinner and they were getting ready for dessert when Bruce England, who was the only officer not at the Christmas party because he was on duty patrolling. He walks in to the bar, white as a ghost.

• 32:34Corinne Vien?

Also, that sucks to be the one person that doesn't get to go to the Christmas.

• 32:36Sabrina Deana-Roga?

I know, I know. Bruce England walks in pale as a ghost and he pulls halt aside. He looks him dead in the eyes and he says, it's back. The UFO is back.

• 32:48Corinne Vien?

I feel like you're having a theme with like, I thought she was gone. It's back. Like all of these lines that are just horrifying.

• 32:56Sabrina Deana-Roga?

  Like they're movie lines.

• 32:58Corinne Vien?

  They are movie lines.

• 32:59Sabrina Deana-Roga?

So naturally halt, he goes into like business officer mode. And he's like, okay, let's go into the forest and check it out. And he turns on his little cassette player and records. Again, this is like a segment from the 18 minute clip.

• 33:13Speaker 05

We're about 150 or 200 yards from the site. Everything else is just definitely calm. There is no doubt about there's some type of strange flashing red light ahead. Yeah, well, I saw y'all attending it too. Weird. It appears to be maybe moving a little bit this way. It's brighter than it has been. Yeah. It's coming his way. It is definitely coming his way. Pieces of it are shooting off. There is no doubt about it. This is weird.

• 33:41Corinne Vien?

  His anxiety building.

• 33:43Sabrina Deana-Roga?

  Yeah, you can hear.

• 33:43Corinne Vien?

He's coming this way. There's no doubt about it. He's like breathing.

• 33:46Sabrina Deana-Roga?

  Like it's getting closer.

• 33:48Corinne Vien?

  Yeah, you can hear there.

• 33:49Sabrina Deana-Roga?

This is weird. There's no doubt about it.

• 33:51Corinne Vien?

  Whoa.

• 33:52Sabrina Deana-Roga?

And the majority of the audio, and this is like very, what you brought up in the beginning, like, it's so clear that him and all the men who are out there are witnessing something so strange. And yet they're trying to remain calm. They are military trained men who are trained to deal with like high stake situations. So yeah, like the audio sounds relatively calm, cool and collected, but you can tell they're like, what the fuck is happening? Because this is eerie. It was weird and it's terrifying.

• 34:23Corinne Vien?

  Yeah.

• 34:24Sabrina Deana-Roga?

They came across three indentations about an inch and a half deep, 10 to 12 inches across, equal distance apart. And when they used the Geiger counter to look at radiation levels, the thing starts going wild.

• 34:36Corinne Vien?

  Whoa.

• 34:36Sabrina Deana-Roga?

The radiation readings in the spots of the indentations were nine times higher than in spots like far away from the indentations. And the sides of the trees where they had been like burned or rubbed or whatnot and are closer to the indentations had the same high level radiation.

• 34:55Corinne Vien?

  So what animal does that?

• 34:56Sabrina Deana-Roga?

  Good question. They don't.

• 35:00Corinne Vien?

  Drag alien animal.

• 35:03Sabrina Deana-Roga?

An animal from a different realm.

• 35:06Corinne Vien?

Yeah. What if we're looking at spaceships wrong? What if we're looking at them as crafts? And sometimes it's just an animal, just a beast we don't understand.

• 35:13Sabrina Deana-Roga?

  Interesting.

• 35:14Corinne Vien?

  Transformers.

• 35:15Sabrina Deana-Roga?

  Transformers.

• 35:16Corinne Vien?

  Robots in disguise.

• 35:19Sabrina Deana-Roga?

I feel like you just like a cartoon Transformers. Like not the, what's his name? Shia LaBeouf? I almost said Evan Stevens.

• 35:26Corinne Vien?

  Not the Evan Stevens version.

• 35:28Sabrina Deana-Roga?

As you can imagine, this is all so surreal and confounding and it becomes even more so when they see there between the trees to the east and in the nearby farmer's field, a glowing red object. And keep in mind, when you look at that map of like where the lighthouse is and where the Rendlesham forest is, if you're looking east, you're not looking towards the lighthouse.

• 35:51Sabrina Deana-Roga?

In the farmer's field is a glowing red object. Similar to the first night, barnyard animals start going crazy. And although it's maybe half a mile away, Halt and the men can hear the strange sounds coming from the farm. It was awfully loud, and that glowing red light grew brighter and brighter. So bright that it looked like the farmer's house was on fire.

• 36:12Corinne Vien?

  Holy crap.

• 36:13Sabrina Deana-Roga?

And as quickly as it appeared, it disappeared, moving with deliberate and controlled motions. So I guess not disappeared, but it like started moving away.

• 36:21Corinne Vien?

  Yeah.

• 36:22Sabrina Deana-Roga?

Halt is radioing back to command, and at this point, everyone is aware of something strange going on in the woods. The object reappears in the farmer's field. It flies at a very high speed and then hovers, remaining in the field where at least fifteen people who are in the weapon storage area of the military base can all see it.

• 36:39Corinne Vien?

I wonder what it was like for the farmer and his home.

• 36:41Sabrina Deana-Roga?

  That's what I'm like, where's that story?

• 36:43Corinne Vien?

Yeah. I have no idea. If it looks like his house is on fire, like, don't you think he'd be like completely shrouded in light?

• 36:49Sabrina Deana-Roga?

  He was abducted.

• 36:50Corinne Vien?

He was probably abducted. That was the woman's screams that they heard.

• 36:54Sabrina Deana-Roga?

At first, they're like trying really hard to rationalize it, like this is, this has to be a craft from like a different country, or a human has to be controlling this, like that's, they want to believe that. So Halt says, let's approach it. And so they start approaching it, and the craft moves toward them, which you can hear in the audio clip that I just played. It's definitely moving towards us. It's moving towards us. And then you can hear him on the cassette saying, here he comes from the south. He's coming towards us now. They're trying desperately to rationalize what this thing is, but now they start to see sparks flying off of it. So bright that it was like looking at the sun. Scientists have tried to say that there is a sun flare or like sunbeams. And it's like, this is late at night.

• 37:35Corinne Vien?

  Yeah.

• 37:35Sabrina Deana-Roga?

Even if there is like some weird flare or a meteor coming in from space, you would find evidence of that, or there would be evidence of it, you know?

• 37:44Corinne Vien?

It's so strange too, like the sparking, because obviously it's not from like any motor or anything, because they,

• 37:50Sabrina Deana-Roga?

  What is it?

• 37:51Corinne Vien?

  Is it something with like

• 37:52Sabrina Deana-Roga?

  No idea.

• 37:53Corinne Vien?

The heat against the metal or like whatever this thing is made of?

• 37:56Sabrina Deana-Roga?

Right. And then a beam shines down on the ground. And at that point, Like, how could you possibly think it's manmade anymore? Rationality is gone, logic is gone, confusion is here to stay. And even to this day, it is confounding. Later that night, they then also saw three star-like lights in the sky. Two were to the north, one was to the south. All three of them were hovering for what felt like two to three hours and seemed to beam down a stream of light from time to time.

• 38:25Corinne Vien?

My god, this is reminding me of my own alien sighting in Calagia when we were in, in Calagia, in college.

• 38:33Sabrina Deana-Roga?

  In college.

• 38:34Corinne Vien?

Like, the house was called Calagia that I lived in. When we saw over the ocean, the two spaceships. And then one was like right above our house and then it joined the other two. And I'm wondering if we had stayed out there and watched for longer, if we would have seen any

• 38:47Sabrina Deana-Roga?

  Have you ever seen more?

• 38:48Corinne Vien?

beams or anything happening, but you know, it was 20 minutes of panic and then we ran inside.

• 38:52Sabrina Deana-Roga?

And you were like, do not film it.

• 38:54Corinne Vien?

No one filmed. I was scared that they would know.

• 38:56Sabrina Deana-Roga?

Didn't you call your mom or didn't, or text your parents?

• 38:58Corinne Vien?

I sent a goodbye text to my family.

• 39:00Sabrina Deana-Roga?

Charles Holt and like all of the men are like, well, we see these objects. Let's try to get closer. And every time they would try to get closer at this point in the night, the objects in the sky would move further away, almost as if they knew that the military men were looking at them and trying to get closer.

• 39:17Corinne Vien?

That's so silly too, to like, oh, the men take one step and they're like, scoot back one.

• 39:21Sabrina Deana-Roga?

Yeah, it's like cat and mouse.

• 39:22Corinne Vien?

  Yeah.

• 39:23Sabrina Deana-Roga?

Which in believing this is an alien species of some kind, you don't know if they're friend or foe, you don't know what they're there for, you have no way to communicate with them. They're playing it mischievously, like you don't know how to engage with them. So then, after December 28th, nothing, never again. They never see it again. For days, months and years, even to today, people have tried to piece this together, to try to find answers. Holt put together a memo, which is now known as the Holt Memo, has been made publicly available, again with the Freedom of Information Act. I'm pretty sure it was published January 13th of 1981. So it wasn't reported or put into file until weeks after the incident,

• 40:08Sabrina Deana-Roga?

which is why some people are like, this is all made up. Or like, the details are wrong and people in those couple of weeks expanded upon it and dramatized it. But it's like, well, maybe they did a report, but like, it took a long time to put it all together. And also, everything's being filed manually. Like, come on.

• 40:27Corinne Vien?

And yeah, there's just so many steps and like, protocols you have to go through and different like, channels and stuff that I feel like things get really delayed when it's, it's like the classic, you know, military or corporate dilemma.

• 41:10Sabrina Deana-Roga?

Okay, so in the HALT memo, it's like, broken down into three occurrences, I guess. And in the third one, it says, "At one point, this object appeared to throw off glowing particles, then broke into five separate white objects, then disappeared. Immediately thereafter, three starlight objects were noticed in the sky, two to the north, one to the south. The objects moved rapidly in sharp, angular movements and displayed red, green, and blue lights. The objects to the north appeared to be elliptical through eight to 12 power lens. They then turned into full circles. The objects to the north remained in the sky for an hour or more. The object to the south was visible for two or three hours and beamed a stream of light down from time to time. Numerous individuals, including

• 41:52Sabrina Deana-Roga?

the undersigned, who's Charles Hald, witnessed the activities in paragraphs two and three."

• 41:57Corinne Vien?

I'm so curious what the different colors of lights mean.

• 42:00Sabrina Deana-Roga?

I mean, red and green, Christmas.

• 42:02Corinne Vien?

Right. Yeah, there's like, we like these colors.

• 42:04Sabrina Deana-Roga?

  Yeah, I don't know.

• 42:05Corinne Vien?

Put my spacecraft, like, all the cool kids have the blue.

• 42:09Sabrina Deana-Roga?

Or is it like UV, those like, UV lights that you put on your skin?

• 42:12Corinne Vien?

Yeah, that's how they eat through different exposures to light.

• 42:16Sabrina Deana-Roga?

  They're like plants.

• 42:17Corinne Vien?

  Yes.

• 42:18Sabrina Deana-Roga?

  Oh, they're photosynthesizing.

• 42:19Corinne Vien?

  Red is dessert.

• 42:21Sabrina Deana-Roga?

  Sympathetic.

• 42:22Corinne Vien?

It is weird because it's like, well, okay, we're seeing these colors, but like, what is actually happening? And what do those things feel like? Like, does your skin burn when the red light hits you?

• 42:31Sabrina Deana-Roga?

  I don't know.

• 42:31Corinne Vien?

But it feels like you're jello or you're swimming through water when the green one does. Like, what happens?

• 42:37Sabrina Deana-Roga?

Or do they travel with light? Is light their fuel?

• 42:39Corinne Vien?

  Hmm.

• 42:40Sabrina Deana-Roga?

  That's kind of cool.

• 42:41Corinne Vien?

  That is kind of cool.

• 42:43Sabrina Deana-Roga?

  Is that possible, scientists?

• 42:44Corinne Vien?

  Anything is possible.

• 42:45Sabrina Deana-Roga?

Well, I guess light is an energy source. Like, we have.

• 42:48Corinne Vien?

  Light travels.

• 42:49Sabrina Deana-Roga?

  And light travels.

• 42:50Corinne Vien?

  The Egyptians are so smart.

• 42:53Sabrina Deana-Roga?

Okay, so after these events, media and tabloids are going crazy. And the very first audio clip I played, part of it was from like, an original CNN news report from that time. So people are like, strange things are happening in the Suffolk Forest called Rendlesham. Reports of strange aircraft, all this stuff. But then tabloids are like, you know, the way that news reports alien UFO-related encounters, I think, makes it sensationalized and then draws up a lot of like, perhaps they take some creative liberties because they can. And it creates confusion. And then when it becomes so public, people are like, psh, I don't believe this.

• 43:35Sabrina Deana-Roga?

And then you get all the like tinfoil hat people being like, ah, this happened and this is what it is.

• 43:41Corinne Vien?

  Right, us.

• 43:42Sabrina Deana-Roga?

Right, exactly us. So skeptics claim that it was all a hoax. And I can't remember what year it was, but there's a report from the BBC, and they reported that a former US security policeman named Kevin Conde claimed that he created these lights as a prank. But he like, came forward saying that so many years later. And I feel like he just wanted to say that.

• 44:07Corinne Vien?

  Wanted something to say.

• 44:08Sabrina Deana-Roga?

Others say it was a downed Soviet spy satellite, especially because it's Cold War.

• 44:12Corinne Vien?

  The Russians.

• 44:13Sabrina Deana-Roga?

Some say they saw a bright fireball over southern England, which is what I was saying like scientists were trying to say.

• 44:19Corinne Vien?

  Yeah, flare.

• 44:19Sabrina Deana-Roga?

Yeah. There's also, and I, I did not analyze all eighteen minutes, nor do I know the timings of the lighthouse light. But people say the timings on Halt's tape recording during his sighting on December twenty eighth indicate that the light he saw, which was in the same direction as the light seen two nights earlier, flashed every five seconds, which was the flash rate of the Orfordness Lighthouse.

• 44:44Corinne Vien?

Hmm. As soon as you said that there was a like incremental time, that's exactly what I thought.

• 44:49Sabrina Deana-Roga?

  Right.

• 44:49Corinne Vien?

Cause all the lighthouses, they have different.

• 44:51Sabrina Deana-Roga?

  Right, they rotate.

• 44:52Corinne Vien?

Yeah, and they all have like different things so that voters know like exactly where they are.

• 44:56Sabrina Deana-Roga?

  Exactly.

• 44:56Corinne Vien?

  Amount of time.

• 44:57Sabrina Deana-Roga?

Skeptics have said that the star-like objects that Halt and these other men saw were misinterpretations of bright stars distorted by atmospheric and optical effects. And they thought that one of them, the one that was positioned in the south, matched the position of Sirius, which is the brightest star in the night sky.

• 45:16Corinne Vien?

So basically there was three days of like a perfect storm of weird weather and light phenomenon.

• 45:22Sabrina Deana-Roga?

Yeah. They basically are saying that these are optical illusions.

• 45:25Corinne Vien?

But what about the farmer and the cows?

• 45:28Sabrina Deana-Roga?

And what about the like literal indentations and objects that they saw in the forest?

• 45:33Corinne Vien?

  And the burning trees.

• 45:35Sabrina Deana-Roga?

Exactly. To this day, Halt believes that he witnessed an extraterrestrial event that was then covered up.

• 45:41Corinne Vien?

I also believe that that is what happened.

• 45:43Sabrina Deana-Roga?

Me too. Absolutely. I'm glad we're in agreeance.

• 45:46Corinne Vien?

  I need no more evidence.

• 45:48Sabrina Deana-Roga?

I feel like we're always in agreeance. The only thing I'm ever skeptical about is Bigfoot and cryptids.

• 45:54Corinne Vien?

Those ones are, yeah, it's, well, I fully believe in Bigfoot, but.

• 45:57Sabrina Deana-Roga?

But is Bigfoot an alien? I'd be more likely to believe in Bigfoot if Bigfoot's an alien.

• 46:01Corinne Vien?

I know that Bigfoot, I know that Bigfoot exists, but the question of like, what is a Bigfoot?

• 46:07Sabrina Deana-Roga?

  It's over.

• 46:08Corinne Vien?

  Yeah, that remains.

• 46:09Sabrina Deana-Roga?

So I found an article from the BBC that was written December twenty sixth. Well, I think it was two thousand twenty. I forgot a number in there.

• 46:19Corinne Vien?

  Okay.

• 46:19Sabrina Deana-Roga?

Called Rendlesham Forest UFO. Yeah, 2020 because the article is called Rendlesham Forest UFO. Are we any closer to the truth 40 years on? And so they talk a lot about the incident, but they also have an interview with a man who lived and worked in the Rendlesham Forest area. His name is Vince Therkettle. And he recalls that he didn't see anything during those nights, but on a late December, so like 29th, 30th, he gets a knock on his door. He sees a car pull up and two men in

• 46:52Corinne Vien?

  It's black?

• 46:53Sabrina Deana-Roga?

  I'm like, black suits?

• 46:54Corinne Vien?

  Yeah.

• 46:55Sabrina Deana-Roga?

Come and knock on his door.

• 46:56Corinne Vien?

They wear sunglasses or have really pale skin?

• 46:58Sabrina Deana-Roga?

It's a really good question. I didn't get all those details. He recalls like being, he was like, this is strange. So these two men, they knock on his door and they start asking him questions. They're like asking him, and they keep repeating the question. Like they keep asking, did you see anything strange in the night? Did you leave your house in the last couple of nights?

• 47:14Corinne Vien?

It's like, well, this is kind of strange. Like this is what I'm experiencing that is strange. You two weird men coming and asking me things.

• 47:20Sabrina Deana-Roga?

Right. Vince, though, does not believe in aliens. Like he is so very much like, this is just something strange that happened. And he actually stands by the lighthouse theory. He doesn't buy into the alien theory. But he does think the timeline of everything is really, really weird because basically they knock on the door and he thinks it's reporters. But the news didn't catch word of this incident until like early January. So he's like, okay, who were these two men? People keep telling him like, you saw men in black.

• 47:54Corinne Vien?

  Right.

• 47:54Sabrina Deana-Roga?

And he's like, no, I don't like, I don't think so. Like, sure, maybe that's weird. And he definitely thinks there's like some type of cover up. Like the one thing he stands by is that the timeline is weird. And I think so, the way he kind of says it in the article, he says like, the way that they concluded the conversation was kind of weird. So like, they reach a point in the conversation and this questioning where they realize Vince doesn't know anything. And the two men kind of just look at each other and I added the word strangely, but I imagine they looked at each other strangely and they go, oh, well, fair enough, probably nothing in it. And they left. And I'm like, in, in him is it Vince?

• 48:31Corinne Vien?

  Or were they British?

• 48:32Sabrina Deana-Roga?

One of them, one of them I know had a British accent.

• 48:35Corinne Vien?

Okay. Cause I feel like that's, that's like, well, I don't want to do like a horrible British accent right now, but yeah. But also like, who are these guys? And like, what did they, why?

• 48:45Sabrina Deana-Roga?

  Right.

• 48:46Corinne Vien?

Why were they there? Why did they need to know?

• 48:48Sabrina Deana-Roga?

And if they were part of the US military who were on the Air Force Base, wouldn't they have put that in their documentation that they looked around and they spoke to people in the woods?

• 48:58Corinne Vien?

  Yeah.

• 48:59Sabrina Deana-Roga?

  Didn't get anything?

• 49:00Corinne Vien?

Well, and you'd also identify yourself.

• 49:01Sabrina Deana-Roga?

Right, they did not. They were just two random men.

• 49:04Corinne Vien?

  Yeah.

• 49:04Sabrina Deana-Roga?

  In suits.

• 49:05Corinne Vien?

  We start doing that?

• 49:06Sabrina Deana-Roga?

  Yes, yes.

• 49:08Corinne Vien?

We might actually get some alien stories out of it.

• 49:11Sabrina Deana-Roga?

  I mean, listen, like-

• 49:12Corinne Vien?

Have you seen anything weird? And people are like, actually, yes. What a wild, I mean, I fully believe all of these people experienced something paranormal. It is interesting because it's this one and then like, the, what was the one in Zimbabwe? The aerial school phenomenon?

• 49:26Sabrina Deana-Roga?

  Oh, yeah, yeah.

• 49:27Corinne Vien?

Where it's so strange when it just lasts, like, it's such a concentrated amount of activity that lasts just a very short period of time, or it's like a day or two.

• 49:34Sabrina Deana-Roga?

  It's so weird.

• 49:35Corinne Vien?

It's like, well, what's the point? Were they just browsing? Did they come for a specific thing and they completed their mission and we're just assuming that they're poking around?

• 49:44Sabrina Deana-Roga?

It reminds me of the other one you talked about too, where like the two men were in the boat.

• 49:47Corinne Vien?

Oh, yes. Uh, oh, God, I can't remember what it is. It starts with a P. Yeah, but the two, the two men in the boat.

• 49:54Sabrina Deana-Roga?

The two men in the boat, regardless, like, I feel like a lot of alien encounters, it's like sporadic over like one short amount of time. Like, there's a lot of different sightings and then gone.

• 50:04Corinne Vien?

  Yeah.

• 50:05Sabrina Deana-Roga?

Yeah, so what are they looking for in that area? Like, what, what mission were they sent on?

• 50:10Corinne Vien?

  Yeah, I don't know.

• 50:11Sabrina Deana-Roga?

But that's the Rendlesham Forest Incident. There are so many resources and books and thousand-page novels about it that you can read about. And people have spent their lives theorizing, trying to piece together what it possibly was. I will say, despite no definitive answer, I definitively know it's aliens.

• 50:34Corinne Vien?

  It's aliens.

• 50:35Sabrina Deana-Roga?

  Yeah.

• 50:35Corinne Vien?

You don't have to convince me.

• 50:36Sabrina Deana-Roga?

And I know, all of you out there.

• 50:39Corinne Vien?

  It's aliens.

• 50:40Sabrina Deana-Roga?

  It's aliens.

• 50:40Corinne Vien?

  100% believe that.

• 50:41Sabrina Deana-Roga?

  Yeah.

• 50:42Corinne Vien?

Dang. I feel like this is gonna be one of those things where like, I pretend that I never said this and then you're gonna like roll the tape and pull the clip again. Like, I do feel like I want to experience a lot of alien phenomenon like this.

• 50:54Sabrina Deana-Roga?

  Same.

• 50:54Corinne Vien?

Like, that would actually be cool. Like, if I'm not being abducted, I do think it would be cool to kind of like see a spacecraft and kind of like run through the woods to try to see what we see.

• 51:02Sabrina Deana-Roga?

  100%. You know.

• 51:04Corinne Vien?

  Let's run through the woods.

• 51:05Sabrina Deana-Roga?

  Yeah.

• 51:06Corinne Vien?

  It feels like ET.

• 51:07Sabrina Deana-Roga?

  Should we be naked?

• 51:08Corinne Vien?

Oh, I was gonna pitch red sweatshirts and a bike, but we could also be naked.

• 51:13Sabrina Deana-Roga?

  ET, okay, okay.

• 51:14Corinne Vien?

Well, how about I'm red sweatshirt and a bike, you're naked in the basket.

• 51:18Sabrina Deana-Roga?

  I'm ET.

• 51:19Corinne Vien?

You're ET. We'll put a cloak over you.

• 51:23Sabrina Deana-Roga?

I was gonna say, like, it's such a weird pitch for me to be like the one who wants to be naked. I don't actually want to be naked. I just like the imagery of two women naked running through the woods.

• 51:33Corinne Vien?

  Witches.

• 51:35Sabrina Deana-Roga?

  Witches looking for aliens.

• 51:37Corinne Vien?

  It's all the same universe.

• 51:38Sabrina Deana-Roga?

  It is.

• 52:18Sabrina Deana-Roga?

  Really?

• 52:19Corinne Vien?

Because it's called "I smell aliens and see cows." And your story had aliens and cows.

• 52:24Sabrina Deana-Roga?

Well, it had farm animals. We don't necessarily know cows.

• 52:27Corinne Vien?

  There were cows.

• 52:27Sabrina Deana-Roga?

  You're right there.

• 52:28Corinne Vien?

  I know it.

• 52:28Sabrina Deana-Roga?

  There were cows.

• 52:29Corinne Vien?

  I can send them.

• 52:32Sabrina Deana-Roga?

You have a knack for those types of things. You do know when cows are about.

• 52:36Corinne Vien?

I know when there are cows.

• 52:37Sabrina Deana-Roga?

  Yeah. You need a cow.

• 52:38Corinne Vien?

  I know.

• 52:39Sabrina Deana-Roga?

Like, I'm not on TikTok often, but I, for some reason, the videos where, like, people have cows that, like, come into their house and, like, bathe them.

• 52:48Corinne Vien?

  Yes.

• 52:48Sabrina Deana-Roga?

  Is on my feed.

• 52:50Corinne Vien?

  That's what I want.

• 52:51Sabrina Deana-Roga?

  You should have that.

• 52:51Corinne Vien?

There's a farm in this area called Appleton Farms. And they do emotional support cow therapy. And you can sign up as, you could do the adults, you could do the family, or you could do the kids. Oh, I know, where I'm doing it.

• 53:04Sabrina Deana-Roga?

You need a lot of therapy, but cow therapy, I think, could be top of your list.

• 53:08Corinne Vien?

Dude, I need a lot of therapy now that I'm a mom. But cow therapy is gonna be, I'm gonna do it, I mean, we're gonna do the family therapy, so Noah's also gonna get to hug some cows.

• 53:17Sabrina Deana-Roga?

  That's so cute.

• 53:18Corinne Vien?

There's two cows on the property that you can hug. And let them make you feel better.

• 53:23Sabrina Deana-Roga?

For your baby shower, my gift was all cow themed.

• 53:27Corinne Vien?

  That's true.

• 53:28Sabrina Deana-Roga?

  Yeah.

• 53:28Corinne Vien?

And I cannot wait until Noah fits in that cow outfit.

• 53:31Sabrina Deana-Roga?

I gave Noah his first cow.

• 53:33Corinne Vien?

Yeah, well, he is the cow. You gave him like a onesie zip up like Halloween cow costume.

• 53:38Sabrina Deana-Roga?

I also gave him a cow stuffed animal. He's cow happy.

• 53:42Corinne Vien?

  He's a cow lover.

• 53:43Sabrina Deana-Roga?

  Cowboy. Oh.

• 53:45Corinne Vien?

  Oh, he's a cowboy.

• 53:46Sabrina Deana-Roga?

  He's a cowboy.

• 53:47Corinne Vien?

Wait, that's actually so perfect because I do the little thing with him. He loves it where like I put him on my knee and I go, this is the way the cowgirls ride. Cowgirls ride, cowgirls ride. This is the way the cowgirls ride so early in the morning.

• 53:58Sabrina Deana-Roga?

  So cute.

• 53:58Corinne Vien?

And I go, this is the way the cowgirls ride, cowgirls ride, cowgirls ride. And he's like, loves it.

• 54:05Sabrina Deana-Roga?

So cute. We're gonna get that boy on a cow soon.

• 54:09Corinne Vien?

Hello, my spooky ghostesses, Sven and Lea. My name is Nadine, you can use my name, and I've been now listening to you for a few years, and I've been hooked ever since. I recently in the last year got my mom into listening to you and she loves it too. And every time we're together, we play it in my car.

• 54:24Sabrina Deana-Roga?

  Fun.

• 54:25Corinne Vien?

I've had a few encounters with the paranormal and it's happened to me for as long as I can remember. I have had predictive dreams. I've had an old war ghost who hated boys near me and some haunted dreams where I can only see them, but not anyone else. But today I do want to tell you about my first alien encounter that I had with my mom. We were in a small town in New Mexico and we were heading to El Paso to pick up my uncle and my aunt who came from Ecuador to visit as my husband and I were buying their home from them in our town. It was about eight o'clock at night. It was dark out and we were driving. My mom and I were chatting and we were listening to the pod. And my mom goes, hey, look up at the sky. There are four lights blinking.

• 55:06Corinne Vien?

Now, mind you, the sky is open and we do have drones that fly out there, but there are more than four and also smaller in size. And these are big lights that are going horizontal, blinking.

• 55:18Sabrina Deana-Roga?

What episode were you listening to?

• 55:20Corinne Vien?

I know. We need to know. Four, three, two, one, and then we blink again. Four, three, two, one. And then it would change to three, two, one. So I pulled out my phone to try.

• 55:33Sabrina Deana-Roga?

  I just got the shiveries.

• 55:35Corinne Vien?

So did you get touched or something? No, I just got so like, ah. I pull up my phone and I try to take a picture, but my camera is not pulling up fast enough. And then two, one, and then again to one and then gone, nothing, just completely vanished. And I couldn't take the picture and plus I was driving. I'm sure that I would have sucked at it anyway. But my mom and I were in shock and we were silent and we just started cackling like mad women. And I was like, I guess they thought Sabrina was here, so they came looking.

• 56:02Sabrina Deana-Roga?

I wish. Is that why I haven't been abducted? Because my voice is playing in so many places. That they don't know where I actually am.

• 56:10Corinne Vien?

They can't pinpoint you. You're impossible.

• 56:12Sabrina Deana-Roga?

Cause I'm also actually not talking most of the time unless we're on the podcast. Cause I'm a pretty quiet gal.

• 56:17Corinne Vien?

You're everything, everywhere all at once, basically. You're all over, they can't find you.

• 56:22Sabrina Deana-Roga?

  Stop playing the podcast, everyone.

• 56:23Corinne Vien?

Just skip over all of Sabrina's parts, make it one sided where it makes absolutely no sense. That's when you're gonna be like, oh yeah, this does have one brain cell. This episode feels worse. Yes. My mom starts laughing harder and we're having a blast, but we're also in a bit of shock. Maybe we're delusional together. Anyhow, my mom is my best friend. So I love when we have moments like this together. In the midst of laughing, I roll down the window and I smell fresh cow shit. And I say laughing again like a psychopath. I think they dropped a cow when I pulled out my phone.

• 56:58Corinne Vien?

I look at my mom and I gasp, I need to send this in. I need to tell the girls. I need to not forget. Well, it's two weeks later. I forgot until right now. So here I am. I called my husband after seeing this happen and I was so excited to tell him that I saw aliens and he was like, what? And I told him again what happened and he just started laughing and was like, you need to email the girls. Oh yeah. He listens too, as well as my three creepy kids.

• 57:22Sabrina Deana-Roga?

  Pyramid scheme.

• 57:23Corinne Vien?

I know. So this was my strange, funny, crazy email, but I finally did have my first UFO sighting and I thought you guys would get a kick out of my mom and I's adventure. Love. Stay spooky. See you on the other side and hopefully one day on this side, Nadine.

• 57:37Sabrina Deana-Roga?

  I love it so much.

• 57:38Corinne Vien?

It's a lighthearted, like, yeah, see some weird lights, smells like cow shit, aliens.

• 57:43Sabrina Deana-Roga?

It's kind of like, you know, I love etymology and I love knowing the origins of like weird, like, you know, blow smoke up your ass is such a good one. Cause it literally used to be like a medical thing that they would do. They thought it would help. I think originally they thought it would help with drownings.

• 57:57Corinne Vien?

  Which that's weird.

• 57:58Sabrina Deana-Roga?

They thought like if they blew

• 57:59Corinne Vien?

  Yeah.

• 57:59Sabrina Deana-Roga?

Smoke up, the water would like, I don't know.

• 58:01Corinne Vien?

  Yeah.

• 58:02Sabrina Deana-Roga?

  Anyway.

• 58:02Corinne Vien?

Throw the baby out with the bath water.

• 58:03Sabrina Deana-Roga?

Exactly. I love the etymology. I really want the aliens dropped a cow, like some, like something like that.

• 58:10Corinne Vien?

  Something like that.

• 58:11Sabrina Deana-Roga?

To be a term we use. It's like, instead of like drop the ball, you dropped the cow.

• 58:14Corinne Vien?

Let's make something up right now. What does that mean to us? The alien dropped the cow.

• 58:19Sabrina Deana-Roga?

  It means they got caught.

• 58:20Corinne Vien?

  Oh, interesting. The alien, okay.

• 58:22Sabrina Deana-Roga?

Like they got caught, so they had to drop the cow.

• 58:24Corinne Vien?

All right. That's now in our language. The alien dropped the cow.

• 58:27Sabrina Deana-Roga?

If you catch me, I'll be like, I dropped the cow.

• 58:29Corinne Vien?

  I dropped the cow.

• 58:30Sabrina Deana-Roga?

Or I caught you and you dropped the cow.

• 58:32Corinne Vien?

Yeah. Oof, the alien dropped the cow.

• 58:33Sabrina Deana-Roga?

  The alien dropped the cow.

• 58:34Corinne Vien?

If you text me that, I'm gonna know immediately. You got caught.

• 58:37Sabrina Deana-Roga?

  I did.

• 58:37Corinne Vien?

Red-handed. Not red-handed. You dropped the cow.

• 58:40Sabrina Deana-Roga?

I dropped the cow. Yeah, it's like red-handed. Yeah. Let's create new words and terms of phrases and let's all agree that this is aliens.

• 58:49Corinne Vien?

And if aliens visit you, please tell them where to find Sabrina.

• 58:53Sabrina Deana-Roga?

I had example number 3,252. Was that a number? Yeah. Of why I

• 59:01Corinne Vien?

  We're all numbers.

• 59:02Sabrina Deana-Roga?

  Believe I'm a ghost.

• 59:03Corinne Vien?

  Why? What happened?

• 59:04Sabrina Deana-Roga?

All weekend, every automatic thing wouldn't work around me.

• 59:08Corinne Vien?

Maybe there's some weird, well, what if, okay, so when you got your aura photo, you were becoming, you were tapping into these psychic abilities. So I do wonder if there's like just some weird energy happening.

• 59:17Sabrina Deana-Roga?

Like I literally was in a bathroom going like this a million times under the sink. And then there were three sinks. I did it to every single one, nothing. Another woman comes out of the stall, immediately goes and works.

• 59:27Corinne Vien?

  Weird.

• 59:28Sabrina Deana-Roga?

Then later, a door that was automatic. I'm laughing now, like what if it wasn't automatic? But like, no, like it was like one of those motion ones.

• 59:35Corinne Vien?

You go through life and you're so used to everything being automatic. You're like, the toilet won't flush, the door won't open. You're just like, everything is actually manual around you.

• 59:44Sabrina Deana-Roga?

I'm not that dumb, you guys. Give me some credit. But I know the difference between a faucet with a handle and one without.

• 59:52Corinne Vien?

Those are a little more obvious.

• 59:53Sabrina Deana-Roga?

Yeah. And it was not one of the pedal ones, for those of you wondering if it was like you have to press it down.

• 59:58Corinne Vien?

Oh, the fancy, beep beep beep.

• 59:59Sabrina Deana-Roga?

No, is that fancy or is that?

• 1:00:00Corinne Vien?

I don't know. I don't know. It is more hygienic, I feel like.

• 1:00:02Sabrina Deana-Roga?

I called it fancy, but like, that's what they use outside of porta potties at concerts.

• 1:00:10Sabrina Deana-Roga?

Where you like pop the water.

• 1:00:11Corinne Vien?

Fancy for a porta potty. Anyway, thank you guys for joining us.

• 1:00:16Sabrina Deana-Roga?

Yeah. And if you have ghost stories or alien stories or anything that you just want to share with us, please email us at [email protected]. And if you would like to be inducted into an Illuminati-ish like-

• 1:00:31Corinne Vien?

  Adjacent, cult Illuminati adjacent.

• 1:00:33Sabrina Deana-Roga?

Yeah, because we can't get sued by the Illuminati, obviously. We can't, we're not stealing their branding. But you can join us on Patreon and get sucked.

• 1:00:43Corinne Vien?

And you gotta join to figure out what that means.

• 1:00:46Sabrina Deana-Roga?

  For you.

• 1:00:47Corinne Vien?

  And the offerings we provide.

• 1:00:49Sabrina Deana-Roga?

Okay. The offerings that you must provide us in order for the offerings we give you back. It's basically a sacrifice that you give to us, your ghostesses, not your goddesses, and we give you something in return.

• 1:01:01Corinne Vien?

  It's an exchange of sorts.

• 1:01:03Sabrina Deana-Roga?

  Yeah, magic.

• 1:01:04Corinne Vien?

  You can, it's magic.

• 1:01:08Sabrina Deana-Roga?

  Not consumerism, it's magic.

• 1:01:10Corinne Vien?

  It's support. It's support.

• 1:01:13Sabrina Deana-Roga?

  It is.

• 1:01:13Corinne Vien?

You can also support us by, well, is it support? I don't know. Just if you want to find our social media.

• 1:01:19Sabrina Deana-Roga?

And then rate and review us.

• 1:01:21Corinne Vien?

  Rate and reviewing, that's support.

• 1:01:23Sabrina Deana-Roga?

  Yeah.

• 1:01:23Corinne Vien?

Tell other people about it. Be like Nadine. Get your whole family to listen, your mom too, and all the aliens and the cows in your field. Shout out to Jamie, who edits our podcast. Thank you, Jamie.

• 1:01:32Sabrina Deana-Roga?

  And we will.

• 1:01:34Corinne Vien?

Why have I been doing that lately?

• 1:01:35Sabrina Deana-Roga?

I don't know. I think because you have to do so much for the podcast while I dissolve into a puddle and like have a life straw trying to not drown, that now you're like, oh, I have to do everything.

• 1:01:44Corinne Vien?

Well, I also think the way that you, because you had just finished saying one thing and then I was like, oh, well, we've done all of the things. So the next thing to do is conclude.

• 1:01:52Sabrina Deana-Roga?

The next breath is the, yep.

• 1:01:53Corinne Vien?

  Okay, but I'll let you.

• 1:01:54Sabrina Deana-Roga?

  And we will.

• 1:01:55Corinne Vien?

See you on the other side.
