Hi, Tasha. Welcome to Conan O'Brien Needs a Fan.

• 1:34Speaker 04

  Oh, my God. Hello, guys.

• 1:37Conan O'Brien?

  Hi, Tasha. How are you?

• 1:41Speaker 04

Great. Very excited to see you. I thought I would be so nervous that I would be shocked and frozen, but I'm so happy to see you.

• 1:51Conan O'Brien?

Yes, well, often when people see us, they're underwhelmed. So that calms them down immediately. Tasha, tell me a little bit about yourself. Where are you in the world right now?

• 2:03Speaker 04

I'm in Croatia, in Zagreb, the capital of Croatia.

• 2:07Conan O'Brien?

Okay, you're in Zagreb, Croatia. I've never been to Croatia. And I would be fascinated. I know, you know, I've never experienced the culture there.

• 2:18Speaker 04

No, I think you should, though. That's a really good reason to come and experience it.

• 2:24Conan O'Brien?

  Are you a native?

• 2:24Speaker 04

You've been all over the world.

• 2:25Conan O'Brien?

Are you a native of Zagreb, Croatia? You were born there?

• 2:29Speaker 04

I am. I was born in Zagreb in Croatia and my my family is from the coast, from the islands. Of Croatia, we have many, many islands and this beautiful sea, the Adriatic Sea.

• 2:41Conan O'Brien?

  That's right.

• 2:42Speaker 04

So you should definitely come and visit. Yeah.

• 2:45Conan O'Brien?

Um, okay. Well, a bunch of questions. What do you do for a living? Can I ask you that?

• 2:50Speaker 04

Uh, of course. Yeah, I have two jobs actually at the moment. Um, I um, I am a psychotherapist. I've just finished my training.

• 3:00Conan O'Brien?

  Oh, you're a psychotherapist?

• 3:02Speaker 04

Yes. And my other job is I'm a cruise manager on uh, luxury yachts and these mini cruises.

• 3:10Conan O'Brien?

Wow. Okay. Everything I know about uh, those mini yachts and cruises are from the show Below Deck. My wife loves the show Below Deck. Is it kind of, is it like Below Deck?

• 3:21Speaker 04

Uh, it's kind of. I mean, yeah, they make it a little bit more spectacular and uh, dramatic, but it is beautiful. And there is a, yeah, there is a little bit of drama.

• 3:33Conan O'Brien?

Or can I ask you a question? And you don't have to answer this, but are members of the crew getting it on? I don't know if that's a common term in Zagreb, Croatia, but are people hooking up on the cruise?

• 3:44Speaker 04

I think so, but since I'm the cruise manager, they don't tell me about it. They're, you know,

• 3:51Conan O'Brien?

  Yes, of course. That's why.

• 3:52Speaker 04

  In the crew mess.

• 3:53Conan O'Brien?

That's why you're supposed to have a camera with night vision in every room. That's what they, that's how they do it on Below Deck. That's how you know. Those people have signed consent forms, though, I think. Do you really have to have someone sign a consent form if you're gonna put a night vision? I've got bad news. Camera?

• 4:10Speaker 01

  Oh, yeah.

• 4:11Conan O'Brien?

And watch them have sex? Is that something? Wait a minute. Hold on, hold on. Eduardo, that stuff, that equipment we installed? Has to come out. I know, Eduardo. That is, that's, that equipment we installed nine years ago has to come out. Whoops. And you have to erase the 10,000 hours of tape that I've put into the cloud. Um, okay. Well, this is interesting. Tasha.

• 4:31Speaker 01

Where did you install these cameras? Where are they?

• 4:35Conan O'Brien?

Don't worry about it, but you need to clean your, inside of your car.

• 4:38Speaker 01

  No!

• 4:42Speaker 04

  Oh.

• 4:43Conan O'Brien?

But, uh, Tasha, this is fascinating to me. You have two jobs and they're both kind of interesting to me. First of all, you've trained to be a therapist. I could find that quite useful because I'm always looking for therapeutic advice. And I don't know if you have, if you've been a regular listener, maybe you have some observations about me or ways that you could help me.

• 5:06Speaker 04

I do, I have been a regular listener and watcher since 93. So I, I have diagnosed you many times, even though it's completely unprofessional to do so.

• 5:19Conan O'Brien?

You've diagnosed me by watching the television show since 93 and listening to the podcast.

• 5:26Speaker 04

  Yeah.

• 5:27Conan O'Brien?

And can you in a very, can you very briefly tell me what you think the issue is?

• 5:33Speaker 04

  Briefly. Where do I begin?

• 5:38Conan O'Brien?

I'm gonna rest my eye on the microphone.

• 5:42Speaker 04

Okay, okay. Well, there's, there's bad news and good news. Okay. So bad news, everyone knows you're neurotic and anxious because you've been not open about it, right?

• 5:54Conan O'Brien?

  Yeah.

• 5:55Speaker 04

But the good news is that you're open about it and you let others, you make fun of yourself. You let others make fun of you, which is a really great way to be healthier about it.

• 6:08Conan O'Brien?

Or is it just a sad survival mechanism?

• 6:12Speaker 04

Well, that's, it's a good survival mechanism, I think, in my professional opinion.

• 6:17Conan O'Brien?

Okay, I like you. You're a good therapist because you approve of the way I behave. So.

• 6:22Speaker 04

I do, but, but, but, but.

• 6:27Speaker 04

What I think is that there, there is some conflict that you have with some members of your staff that is not fully healthy, I think. I think that should be resolved.

• 6:38Conan O'Brien?

Yeah. Okay. Anyone here maybe that, uh, that you're talking about?

• 6:43Speaker 04

I don't, and again, this is completely, um, informal because it's not professional for me to do this.

• 6:49Conan O'Brien?

Well, that makes it, okay, go ahead.

• 6:51Speaker 04

I see you, I see you, Senna. Um, so I want to say that Sona is dealing with it really in a healthy way because she is getting back at you all the time, like very directly and openly.

• 7:02Speaker 01

  Mm hmm.

• 7:04Speaker 04

And you can't, you can't hurt her.

• 7:06Conan O'Brien?

Right, Sona, if, if you dish it out, Sona dishes it right back and it's a healthy exchange.

• 7:12Speaker 04

  Exactly, healthy exchange. Now, Matt.

• 7:16Conan O'Brien?

  Uh oh.

• 7:16Speaker 04

  Um.

• 7:17Conan O'Brien?

  Uh oh.

• 7:19Speaker 04

I think there is a little bit of passive aggressiveness between the both of you and I think you should, you should talk about it and you should maybe go to a couples therapist about it, or I can do it over Zoom as well.

• 7:31Conan O'Brien?

  You know what?

• 7:34Conan O'Brien?

I think, I hate to admit it, but Tasha, I think you're right.

• 7:39Speaker 05

  Uh huh.

• 7:39Conan O'Brien?

  Because I think.

• 7:40Speaker 04

  Just a little bit.

• 7:41Speaker 05

What if I'm not looking to improve the relationship?

• 7:45Speaker 04

But you are, because you always, you want to be, want him to be your father figure and.

• 7:51Conan O'Brien?

  Yes!

• 7:52Speaker 04

You have an open about it, Matt.

• 7:54Speaker 05

I can tell you with 100% certainty that I do not want to go to TV my father.

• 7:59Speaker 01

It's more like brother figure, I think.

• 8:01Speaker 05

  I think older brother.

• 8:02Speaker 01

Yeah, I think you two are like bros.

• 8:04Conan O'Brien?

That's what it is. Well, I think it's, uh, I think I'm an older brother that fathered you.

• 8:10Speaker 05

  That sired me?

• 8:11Conan O'Brien?

Yes. And we're gonna leave it at that, which means now I really need your help, Tasha.

• 8:19Speaker 04

That was very unhealthy, Conan, let's not go there.

• 8:22Conan O'Brien?

  Well.

• 8:25Conan O'Brien?

Okay, let's switch to your other job. Which is luxury cruise manager, you know, and, and so now I'm picturing you, you're, you're on the luxury cruise and there are issues because you don't, you don't know the way I do, because I've watched a lot of Below Decks because my wife's obsessed, especially Below Deck Down Under.

• 8:46Speaker 04

  Hi, Liza.

• 8:47Speaker 05

I love that you're telling a doctor, you don't know the way I do.

• 8:52Conan O'Brien?

No, I'm telling you, you say you don't know what's going on below deck on your luxury cruises. And I'm telling you, it's going on. It, there are, they're doing it. There's all kinds of sexual hijinks happening aboard your boat. And you need to know that that is happening. And if I came there, I know I'd catch some of them in the act if you let me install cameras.

• 9:18Speaker 01

  Oh my God.

• 9:20Conan O'Brien?

So what? They don't sign a form. What are they gonna do? I'm gonna flee the country afterwards.

• 9:25Speaker 01

Why does she need to know if the staff is hooking up?

• 9:28Conan O'Brien?

  I just want the footage.

• 9:32Speaker 01

  I agree.

• 9:34Conan O'Brien?

So, I can't believe I have a father thing with this guy.

• 9:37Speaker 04

  Where's this going?

• 9:38Conan O'Brien?

Well, okay, I'm just curious about what's going on. What role do you think I could play? If you're not gonna let me install cameras secretly, night vision cameras. The, I'm guessing we'll use the same. Eduardo, you like the F-750s? 750s are great. Okay.

• 9:56Speaker 01

  F-7.

• 9:57Conan O'Brien?

We are going to, maybe we'll install cameras, maybe we won't. But if I were to come and work on the boat, what would you, what would my function be? If I were to come and work on the boat, what do you think I would do there?

• 10:08Speaker 04

Okay, so I, I think you should, I think first you should try out all the different roles. And I think also Sona should come because I want Sona to teach me how to, how to not care about my job as much.

• 10:24Speaker 04

  I really want that.

• 10:26Conan O'Brien?

  That's great.

• 10:26Speaker 04

Because she's very high strung at my job. And I love you, Sona.

• 10:30Speaker 01

  I love you too, Tasha.

• 10:31Conan O'Brien?

Yeah, no, Sona's really good at that. She just has been coaching some, some brain surgeons. And some cardiac thoracic surgeons. And a lot of people are dying now, but they don't care as much. The doctors are happier.

• 10:44Speaker 01

They're cool with it. If you don't care, then you don't care, then they die.

• 10:47Conan O'Brien?

  Yeah, flatlining.

• 10:56Conan O'Brien?

This fall, I want to try something different.

• 10:58Speaker 01

  What?

• 10:58Conan O'Brien?

I like to change it up. I like to learn things. So I'm gonna try and make apple cider.

• 11:02Speaker 01

  Ooh.

• 11:02Conan O'Brien?

  Every morning.

• 11:03Speaker 01

  Okay.

• 11:03Conan O'Brien?

This fall, just to see if I can do it.

• 11:05Speaker 01

  Yeah.

• 11:06Conan O'Brien?

Yeah, fall's the perfect season to try something new, like joining T-Mobile.

• 11:10Speaker 01

  Oh, that's good.

• 11:11Conan O'Brien?

  See what I did?

• 11:11Speaker 01

  Yeah.

• 11:12Conan O'Brien?

Yeah, there are 250 reasons to join T-Mobile right now. You want to hear what they are?

• 11:15Speaker 01

  Yeah.

• 11:16Conan O'Brien?

  They're America's best network.

• 11:17Speaker 01

  Okay.

• 11:17Conan O'Brien?

True story. Plus, T-Mobile has got off-grid satellite coverage. That comes in really handy. I like to just wander in the woods sometimes.

• 11:25Speaker 01

  Oh, that's weird.

• 11:25Conan O'Brien?

When I'm thinking about, like, making apple cider.

• 11:27Speaker 01

  Oh.

• 11:27Conan O'Brien?

And that's when it comes in handy. Here's another reason. High-speed data in over 215 countries and destinations. I travel a lot for the

• 11:34Speaker 01

  You travel a lot.

• 11:35Conan O'Brien?

  travel show that I do.

• 11:36Speaker 01

  Yeah.

• 11:37Conan O'Brien?

Stream this podcast while ignoring local landmarks. That's always fun to do. Like, oh, look, there's the Mona Lisa. Yeah, check it out. I'm in the Louvre. I should, but I'm listening to Conan O'Brien Needs a Friend.

• 11:47Speaker 01

That doesn't seem like a good idea.

• 11:48Conan O'Brien?

  It's a great idea.

• 11:49Speaker 01

  Okay.

• 11:50Conan O'Brien?

You know, you can see art anytime. But how often can you listen to this podcast?

• 11:55Speaker 01

  Oh, my god.

• 11:56Conan O'Brien?

  Yeah.

• 11:56Speaker 01

  What?

• 11:57Conan O'Brien?

Now, all these reasons make T-Mobile a great choice.

• 11:59Speaker 01

  I agree.

• 12:00Conan O'Brien?

T-Mobile is stacking up reasons to join. Go to T-Mobile.com and find yours best, based on analysis by Ookla of speed test intelligence data first half of 2026. Can't believe I read that. T-Satellite with capable devices in most outdoor areas in the US, where you can see the sky. High-speed international data with qualifying plan. Visit T-Mobile.com. Consult a physician. I just threw that in there.

• 12:24Speaker 01

  Oh.

• 12:29Conan O'Brien?

We all have those pieces in our closet we can count on. Sona, I imagine for you, it's that leather jacket I got you.

• 12:34Speaker 01

Are you gonna do a bit?

• 12:35Conan O'Brien?

No, no, it's a really nice leather jacket I got you once.

• 12:37Speaker 01

I had that and then I replaced it and yes, I use it all the time.

• 12:41Conan O'Brien?

We all have that versatile jacket, the perfect t-shirt, and those are the pieces that make getting dressed easy. And you know what I was thinking about this morning?

• 12:50Speaker 01

  What?

• 12:50Conan O'Brien?

Quince. They do it best. They really do. I was really thinking about this.

• 12:54Speaker 01

What a coincidence that we're doing an ad for them.

• 12:56Conan O'Brien?

  No, a co-coincidence.

• 12:58Speaker 01

  Oh, no.

• 13:00Conan O'Brien?

That's why I get the big money.

• 13:01Speaker 01

  I gotta go.

• 13:02Conan O'Brien?

Got to very small amount of money. Quince makes elevated everyday essentials using premium materials and designs that are timeless, thoughtful, crafted, and made to be worn again and again. It's the best way to support the show.

• 14:12Conan O'Brien?

• 16:11Conan O'Brien?

Okay, so what am I doing on the boat? What do you picture me doing? And do keep in mind, I have, you seem to have very fair skin. Do you use a lot of sunscreen when you're out on the boat?

• 16:20Speaker 04

Oh, no, no. My skin is great. I have Mediterranean skin. It's just that I take care of it, so it looks like it's fair. But, uh, but you have very delicate skin.

• 16:31Conan O'Brien?

  Yeah.

• 16:31Speaker 04

And you can't be out on, in the sun. And we know that.

• 16:34Conan O'Brien?

No. I'm like a very old Japanese woman. I need to be, uh, I have to have a big hat and I have to be inside wearing gloves and glasses.

• 16:44Speaker 04

And a little, and a little, uh, umbrella.

• 16:47Conan O'Brien?

  Parasol.

• 16:48Speaker 04

  Parasol.

• 16:50Speaker 04

I can see you walking around the yacht.

• 16:53Conan O'Brien?

So you say you have Mediterranean skin and you take very good care of it. And then you pivoted to me and said, I have delicate skin and then

• 17:00Speaker 04

  Yeah.

• 17:00Conan O'Brien?

implied that I don't take care of it.

• 17:02Speaker 04

  Hmm.

• 17:02Conan O'Brien?

  Um.

• 17:03Speaker 04

  Yeah.

• 17:04Conan O'Brien?

That's fine. That's what I took away from it.

• 17:05Speaker 04

  I'm sorry. I didn't, I didn't mean to.

• 17:07Conan O'Brien?

No, it's what I came across. It's very Croatian of you. It's very Zagrebian. Um, you're giving me that Zagrebian tood. Um. There's the title. Zagrebian tood. That's Zagrebian tood. So, um, what do you think would be? What do you think I'd be best at on the boat? Clearly, I probably shouldn't pilot it. That would be a bad idea.

• 17:29Speaker 04

  Sail it, you mean?

• 17:30Conan O'Brien?

  Yeah, sire, sorry.

• 17:31Speaker 04

Captain, okay. Um, I think you, uh, I know that you're really, you have really good coordination. Your body physically are very well coordinated. So I think you should, what's that face from Sona?

• 17:48Conan O'Brien?

Not just Sona, it was me too. Saying, I think you called the wrong show.

• 17:57Conan O'Brien?

But anyway, let's go with it. Yes, I'm very well, I'm, I'm, I'm coordinated. I'm a master athlete and I have total command of my body, which is well proportioned.

• 18:05Speaker 04

Yeah. So that's what we need.

• 18:08Conan O'Brien?

And you have Mediterranean. I have Mediterranean skin and I've taken very good care of it. And I'm a sexual symbol. Um, Tasha, what about?

• 18:17Speaker 04

  Yeah.

• 18:18Conan O'Brien?

Security, uh, what about anything like that? Could I, could I be a guy who walks around the boat and makes sure that there's no trouble?

• 18:26Speaker 04

Yeah, we, we have, when we stop in these, uh, really popular hotspots on these islands where everyone comes to party, then, um, past a cer- certain hour at night, when a lot of young people are coming back from the clubs drunk, they try to get on our boats.

• 18:44Conan O'Brien?

Oh, even if they're not, even if they're not part of the crews, they try to illegally get on the boat? Just like to do.

• 18:49Speaker 04

Yeah, because we have nice, we have jacuzzi, we have spa school. It's really nice. So they try to get in and, you know. Get it on, as he said earlier.

• 19:00Conan O'Brien?

Yes, that's the way most people describe sex in America here in 2025 is getting it on. Um, I don't go outside much. My point is, you think that I would maybe be good at keeping interlopers, intruders from getting on the boat because of my size, my commanding presence? Why are you shaking your head no?

• 19:24Speaker 04

I just because maybe they would be scared when they see you.

• 19:31Conan O'Brien?

  Scared?

• 19:33Speaker 04

  I mean.

• 19:34Conan O'Brien?

  Why would they be scared?

• 19:35Speaker 04

Because no one has orange hair in Croatia.

• 19:39Conan O'Brien?

So why don't you just hire a fucking party clown to stand outside the boat? Why don't you just get like a down on his luck Ronald McDonald? With sores on his face.

• 19:52Speaker 01

You have to wear your whole the hat and the umbrella and the gloves and you just come up to kids and you're like, get off the boat.

• 19:59Conan O'Brien?

Yeah, well, suddenly I'm the clown from It. It's the ghost of La Llorona. So, uh, okay, so I would frighten people from coming on the boat. Because of my pale skin and orange hair.

• 20:11Speaker 04

No, I take it back. I'm sorry.

• 20:13Conan O'Brien?

No, you can't take it back. That's not how it works in therapy, Tasha. You don't say things and then take it back.

• 20:21Conan O'Brien?

Um, wow, this is intense. Uh, I do think.

• 20:26Speaker 04

I know, no, I love, I love you, Conan. I do, I love you. I, I, I used to be in love with you. So all these jokes are just.

• 20:35Conan O'Brien?

  That's so nice.

• 20:36Speaker 01

  This is the below deck.

• 20:38Conan O'Brien?

Yeah, your therapist just told you she loved you. Yeah, my therapist just told me she loved me and she's inviting me on a luxury cruise and she says there's no cameras below deck. This is, this is a loaded situation. Yes. What do you do? What do you mean, what do you do? Croatia, here I come.

• 20:59Speaker 04

  See you later, Liza.

• 21:00Conan O'Brien?

And you show up and she just puts you on the deck duty with all the kids from the club. Put on your orange wig.

• 21:08Conan O'Brien?

Come on, you can't come on the boat. Ah!

• 21:12Conan O'Brien?

  It's back!

• 21:17Conan O'Brien?

Well, that's very nice. It sounds like you've been watching the show for a long time, which is very nice. You're a committed fan.

• 21:22Speaker 04

Yeah, I have been since. Can I tell you about it?

• 21:26Conan O'Brien?

  Yeah.

• 21:26Speaker 04

  But seriously, for a moment.

• 21:28Conan O'Brien?

  Yeah, yeah, sure.

• 21:29Speaker 04

If we may be serious for a moment. So I have been watching you since, uh, maybe day two or three or five, something like that, with the first season in 93. And, uh, you know, Krishna used to be part of you, the Fabia. And then we separated and we had a war, the independence, in the 90s. So, uh, a couple of years into the war, um, is when your show started. And I had, uh, for some reason, I had your show here available in Europe on cable. And, uh, um, I'm getting a little, you know, so.

• 22:10Speaker 04

So we had, we had this surreal reality of the war and then also being students. I was 20 when your show started and was a student, but also we had to somehow help the war effort. So a lot of us, um, were volunteering or, uh, working as interpreters, things like that. So it was a very surreal thing where we would be, you know, for a couple of weeks would be out there near where the fighting was and then would come back home where it was less fighting. And I would watch TV and that was my sort of support and my escape from it. And it was very.

• 22:52Speaker 04

Uh, exciting when your show started and it was one of the, you know, one of the main shows that I watched and it brought me joy and relief and and there was this, you know, crazy nervous guy with this weird sense of humor and well, not too weird for us because, you know,

• 23:12Conan O'Brien?

I thought you were describing someone else for a second, then I realized it was me. There was this cra- I'm like, yeah, I don't know what happened to that guy.

• 23:21Conan O'Brien?

  But, um,

• 23:22Speaker 04

Um, and then we would, you know, one day it would be like this horror of the war and then another day there are two guys sitting in a meat locker and describing celebrities through like steaks.

• 23:36Conan O'Brien?

  I remember that.

• 23:36Speaker 04

  If you remember that.

• 23:38Conan O'Brien?

I remember the meat locker episode. We did a lot of very weird, strange things. You know, I have to say, Tasha, um, it means a lot to me that you and some of your friends were watching that and that it brought you some comfort because,

• 23:54Conan O'Brien?

especially in those early years, we were doing the show. We didn't know who was watching, let alone, I mean, we didn't know who was watching or if anyone was watching in the United States. But the, but the idea that you were going through this terrible ordeal and your people were going through this terrible ordeal and that you got some sustenance out of our silliness means everything to me. I mean, that is, that, uh, that's the magic of it all. And I'm, I'm glad, I'm, I'm so happy that we were able to provide a little bit of relief from what sounds like a, just a terrible experience. And so I'm very happy that you shared that with me. That's really meaningful.

• 24:35Speaker 04

It really means a lot to me to be able to share it with you. This is like a dream come true. And I watch you guys now all the time, like, uh, listen and watch and, and, uh, you have such a wholesome show. I know I joked in the beginning about all your, uh, diagnoses, but.

• 24:56Conan O'Brien?

But it's not untrue. You can have both.

• 24:58Speaker 04

  It's not untrue.

• 24:59Conan O'Brien?

I think we are, we have the right intentions. We're well intentioned here. And then, of course, you know, we're, we're all dealing with, we're humans, so we're all dealing with whatever nonsense we have in our heads. And, but the magic, the ultimate magic to me is when we can turn that into something positive to somebody who, I mean, if it weren't for this show, I'd never have met you. And it's just lovely to meet you and, and a gift. It's a gift to meet you. You seem really funny and cool and smart. And I do hope I get to come on your boat and I do hope you let me install cameras. I just. You ruined it. I didn't ruin it. I'm still a good guy. I just want footage of strangers having sex.

• 25:42Conan O'Brien?

And there's, I don't think that diminishes any of what Tasha has said. Cause that brings me comfort. Anyway, Tasha, it was an absolute joy talking to you. We're gonna wrap this up, but you're a very special person and I do hope that we get to meet up. That would be very cool.

• 26:02Speaker 04

Yes. Thank you so much, everyone. It's lovely to see you and you're such wonderful people and keep doing this. Don't ever quit.

• 26:09Conan O'Brien?

Okay. Yeah. All right. I like that. Take care, Tasha. Thanks, Tasha. Bye bye.

• 26:13Speaker 04

  Bye.
