Hey, can you come pick me up? Yeah, what's wrong? Nothing. Are you sure? Yeah, no, I just need a ride. Oh, my God. So why, I just want to have fun. Start your engine. Hi, Jack.

• 1:00Benito Skinner?

  I'm Benito Skinner.

• 1:01Mary Beth Barone?

  I'm Mary Beth Brown.

• 1:03Benito Skinner?

  And this?

• 1:03Mary Beth Barone?

  Is?

• 1:04Benito Skinner?

  Ride.

• 1:09Mary Beth Barone?

  Welcome, okay, so.

• 1:11Benito Skinner?

Welcome to the Black Parade. You are so, like, come on, we have to talk about other things, dude.

• 1:15Mary Beth Barone?

I was gonna say, welcome, because it's not season two, it's what we do anymore. It's Now You Three Me.

• 1:21Benito Skinner?

  It's Now You Three Me.

• 1:22Mary Beth Barone?

So it's just important to, like, internalize that. We took such a short break that this still feels like season two to me, but it is, it's Now You Three Me.

• 1:28Benito Skinner?

But it's like, everything's different, but everything's the exact same.

• 1:31Mary Beth Barone?

  And everything is romantic.

• 1:33Benito Skinner?

  Of course.

• 1:33Mary Beth Barone?

Of course. So we have some questions, we said AMA, Ask Me Anything, on Ride the Pod's Instagram.

• 1:39Benito Skinner?

  Yeah.

• 1:40Mary Beth Barone?

And we got some really good questions from Bronies, so we're just gonna dive right in. What do you guys think?

• 1:44Benito Skinner?

  I'd love that.

• 1:44Mary Beth Barone?

I'd love that, too. In honor of the pod being back on my 26th birthday, which also, by the way, I want to say it's on my birthday, it's coming back, so. That was a week ago.

• 1:54Benito Skinner?

  Yeah.

• 1:54Mary Beth Barone?

So this is kind of like a week later. So you're a week into your 26th year.

• 1:58Benito Skinner?

  Yeah.

• 1:59Mary Beth Barone?

This person, Alexis, says, "In honor of the pod being back on my 26th birthday, what advice could you give me?"

• 2:03Benito Skinner?

Hmm. Twenty-six year, I think you just have to not judge yourself so much. I feel like that's all I've done for like ten years.

• 2:13Mary Beth Barone?

  Yeah.

• 2:13Benito Skinner?

You know, and probably more, more, but I just like, even when I was just having so much fun, it's like I just judge myself for every feeling and every interaction. And it's like, maybe you're just trying to figure it out. Maybe things are scary. Come give mommy and daddy a kiss.

• 2:26Mary Beth Barone?

  Come as you aren't.

• 2:27Benito Skinner?

Come as you aren't fuckers. How good of a slogan is that?

• 2:29Mary Beth Barone?

It's so fabulous. I think my advice would be, I didn't start respecting myself till I was twenty-eight. So you have two years until you can really hold yourself accountable for your decisions.

• 2:38Benito Skinner?

  Yeah.

• 2:38Mary Beth Barone?

So just have fun and enjoy it. And yeah, try not to be too hard on yourself because we're all figuring out this crazy little thing called life.

• 2:44Benito Skinner?

My brain's making a timeline right now. I think you met someone when you were twenty-eight.

• 2:49Mary Beth Barone?

  I sure did.

• 2:50Benito Skinner?

  Everything changed.

• 2:51Mary Beth Barone?

  Everything changed.

• 2:51Benito Skinner?

I held up a mirror to you and you finally saw yourself.

• 2:54Mary Beth Barone?

You said, this is what you can be. And I said, okay.

• 2:56Benito Skinner?

  Mm-hmm.

• 2:57Mary Beth Barone?

Take me there, I wanna go there, let's go there. Speaking of original songs.

• 3:02Benito Skinner?

Immediately I went to. Take me.

• 3:04Mary Beth Barone?

No, that's from Rugrats in Paris. Maya did an original song for Rugrats in Paris.

• 3:10Benito Skinner?

Reptile, you're no ordinary monster. That song was huge for me. But I would say Rugrats in Paris and overcompensating share a love for slight camp. And the second after you laugh, something really fucking sad. When he sees his mom in the clouds.

• 3:29Mary Beth Barone?

  Yeah.

• 3:30Benito Skinner?

  Whoa, holy shit.

• 3:31Mary Beth Barone?

If you're wondering why our brains are the way that they are, it's nature versus nurture. And we were kind of fucked on both sides.

• 3:37Benito Skinner?

  Yeah.

• 3:37Mary Beth Barone?

My brain works this way naturally, but then also the, the programming I was exposed to as a child, they didn't make kids cartoons that were like fun and cool. It was like, it was devastating and honestly aesthetically very scary.

• 3:49Benito Skinner?

I would say that it's crazy. Nickelodeon, parents were idiots. Disney, they were dead.

• 3:53Mary Beth Barone?

  Totally.

• 3:54Benito Skinner?

So you could either have one or the other.

• 3:55Mary Beth Barone?

It's one or the other. It's pick your poison. It's A Real Monsters. No one talks about the show A Real Monsters, but I'm talking about it.

• 4:01Benito Skinner?

  I didn't watch that one.

• 4:02Mary Beth Barone?

  Very scary cartoon.

• 4:03Benito Skinner?

  I didn't watch that one.

• 4:04Mary Beth Barone?

It was about monsters and they were fucking scary.

• 4:06Benito Skinner?

Do you know which one was like a little seedy?

• 4:08Mary Beth Barone?

  Rocco's Modern Life.

• 4:09Benito Skinner?

  CatDog.

• 4:10Mary Beth Barone?

Oh, yeah. I was not into CatDog.

• 4:12Benito Skinner?

See, I'm not a Cartoon Network girl.

• 4:14Mary Beth Barone?

  No, no, no, no.

• 4:14Benito Skinner?

  Didn't go near it.

• 4:15Mary Beth Barone?

CatDog was Nickelodeon. And same with Rock was Modern Life.

• 4:18Benito Skinner?

Maybe I'm thinking of Courage the Cowardly Dog.

• 4:19Mary Beth Barone?

And Ren and Stimpy. Courage the Cowardly Dog was definitely Cartoon Network, as well as the Animaniacs, which I did like. But yeah, Ren and Stimpy was kind of scary too, and Pinky and the Brain. I mean, they just had a lot of really like heady concepts.

• 4:30Benito Skinner?

I'm a Nickelodeon girl. And then Disney, when I wanted to be a little like whimsy, but I would say I'm just Nickelodeon at my core. It's like I was SpongeBob. Sorry.

• 4:38Mary Beth Barone?

  And I'm Disney.

• 4:39Benito Skinner?

  We'll get into.

• 4:39Mary Beth Barone?

Yeah, but those two things can come together in a really beautiful way.

• 4:42Benito Skinner?

  Of course.

• 4:43Mary Beth Barone?

What outfit would you wear in your hometown? That's one of the questions we got, which is such a good question.

• 4:48Benito Skinner?

  That is.

• 4:48Mary Beth Barone?

What outfit would you wear in your hometown?

• 4:52Benito Skinner?

That's just like, I've never been asked such a good question before.

• 4:55Mary Beth Barone?

Like this person needs to do red carpet interviews.

• 4:58Benito Skinner?

  I agree.

• 4:58Mary Beth Barone?

Imagine being put on the spot to answer this without the ability to edit. And some of the questions really put me in that position. Someone asked like, what would be the theme song to a show about your life? And I was like, I don't know.

• 5:08Benito Skinner?

Oh, I said, they asked me that and they go, the Charlie song. And I was like, well, I don't know how I would do. Yeah. I'm like, what?

• 5:15Mary Beth Barone?

Oh, specifically, that almost would be easier for me because I thought of any song ever made.

• 5:20Benito Skinner?

  Okay, yeah.

• 5:20Mary Beth Barone?

  That's really scary.

• 5:21Benito Skinner?

Yeah. Well, I was like lucky, but then it's kind of like, well, I don't feel that way anymore.

• 5:25Mary Beth Barone?

  Yeah.

• 5:25Benito Skinner?

But yeah, it's just like, it's just like some of the hardest things we've ever done have happened in the past month. But here's the thing, what would I wear? I lean baggy when I'm in Idaho because I'm home and I'm just comfortable.

• 5:36Mary Beth Barone?

  Same.

• 5:37Benito Skinner?

  Yeah, of course.

• 5:38Mary Beth Barone?

I went to the mall recently, as I put on my TikTok and Instagram to buy a push-up bra. Older sister. And I just wore baggy jeans, baggy sweatshirt and a baseball cap. And the Victoria's Secret was tragically closed. But they reached out and they're going to send me some bras.

• 5:52Benito Skinner?

I literally knew they had reached out. You know what I mean? There's a Skims bra that came out that has pierced nipples on it.

• 5:58Mary Beth Barone?

  Not pierced.

• 5:59Benito Skinner?

  Yeah.

• 6:00Mary Beth Barone?

  Not pierced.

• 6:01Benito Skinner?

Pierced. I just saw an ad for it. No, it was real.

• 6:04Mary Beth Barone?

That's stolen valor. And as someone that had a nipple ring for several years, fuck y'all. You better go get your nipple pierced and almost passed out.

• 6:12Benito Skinner?

Who made you take it out?

• 6:14Mary Beth Barone?

  Any drama.

• 6:15Benito Skinner?

I'm sorry, it didn't work with the char-

• 6:16Mary Beth Barone?

It didn't work with the character.

• 6:17Benito Skinner?

  You knew that too.

• 6:18Mary Beth Barone?

Of course. I was anticipating taking out. I was so happy to take it out because it was-

• 6:22Benito Skinner?

Take that out and she's a lesbian.

• 6:23Mary Beth Barone?

It was, and those were the two things the character description said. She does not, it said nothing but, she does not have her nipple pierced, either one, and she is fully a lesbian. My hometown, yeah, I think if I was trying to go stunt at like a bar the night before Thanksgiving, I would wear something like skimpy and tight, even if it was cold.

• 6:39Benito Skinner?

  Can I show you something?

• 6:40Mary Beth Barone?

  Collarbone.

• 6:41Benito Skinner?

I give them that. I give them a little bit of the one-two punch, that Benny drama sauce. But yeah, and then also like my mom's shoes.

• 6:49Mary Beth Barone?

  Mom's slip flops?

• 6:49Benito Skinner?

Yeah, my parents like kind of run a North Face store out of my house. So that's cool, just to like see all the new puffers.

• 6:55Mary Beth Barone?

You just have many different jackets.

• 6:56Benito Skinner?

I'm like up to a hundred puffers.

• 6:58Mary Beth Barone?

Yeah. Well, they don't know what their vibe's gonna be that day.

• 7:00Benito Skinner?

I'll be talking about mass consumption in a minute.

• 7:02Mary Beth Barone?

In a minute. So the same person asked these two questions in all caps. Can you guys please come to Cleveland?

• 7:08Benito Skinner?

  Yeah.

• 7:08Mary Beth Barone?

And then what is your favorite Gregorian chant?

• 7:13Benito Skinner?

  And dear media, clip that.

• 7:16Mary Beth Barone?

If we could put, if we could put baronies in a box, like

• 7:20Benito Skinner?

  Good luck.

• 7:20Mary Beth Barone?

It's good luck, and we will, the smallest box in the world.

• 7:24Benito Skinner?

  Duh.

• 7:25Mary Beth Barone?

I would say those questions, that really is like a perfect.

• 7:29Benito Skinner?

That's just exactly the kind of, the kind of brilliant brain rot we want. What were the questions again?

• 7:35Mary Beth Barone?

Oh, also someone DM me today and they're like, Adam's manager, and he was like, I love the pod. I love your guys' hive mind. It's so hilarious. And I go, that's such a nice way of putting it hive mind. We call it mental illness.

• 7:45Benito Skinner?

  Yeah, so we are sick.

• 7:47Mary Beth Barone?

We're sick, twisted, and no one should be listening to this.

• 7:50Benito Skinner?

But we have hearts of gold.

• 7:51Mary Beth Barone?

  We do.

• 7:52Benito Skinner?

  Jackson told me that.

• 7:53Mary Beth Barone?

So the question was, can you guys please come to Cleveland? And the other one was, what is your favorite Gregorian chant?

• 7:58Benito Skinner?

So I was in Cleveland three years ago, and I can only go once every five years. So

• 8:02Mary Beth Barone?

  So we're coming up.

• 8:03Benito Skinner?

Very soon. I'll see you there. I love it. It feels like the set of The Hunger Games, but the last one. When the town is empty.

• 8:09Mary Beth Barone?

  Yeah.

• 8:09Benito Skinner?

Cause I was downtown and it was empty, but this was the middle of winter. But yeah.

• 8:13Mary Beth Barone?

I like Ohio, can I just say? And dear media, clip that.

• 8:16Benito Skinner?

  Yeah, exactly. With your tea.

• 8:18Mary Beth Barone?

With while I'm drinking peppermint tea.

• 8:19Benito Skinner?

My grandpa's from Columbus, Ohio. I love Ohio, and I love the suburban areas of Cleveland. Downtown Cleveland, I wouldn't like live there, but I, yeah, I mean, I would love to visit Cleveland. Let's go check it out, girl.

• 8:31Mary Beth Barone?

What scene made you break the hardest?

• 8:32Benito Skinner?

Oh, wait, but what's your favorite Gregorian chant?

• 8:35Mary Beth Barone?

Oh, so I don't actually know what that means. Can I be honest?

• 8:38Benito Skinner?

And yet again, my brain goes immediately to the hunchback of Notre Dame. The Pajos, Pajos. That's how I'm taking Gregorian chant.

• 8:46Mary Beth Barone?

Okay. I would guess the one from Monty Python, but I wouldn't be able to.

• 8:49Benito Skinner?

  Is Unholy not that?

• 8:51Mary Beth Barone?

We're not sure. Oh, and, and Wally in an interview calling that The Body Shop. Someone saying like, what, what song did you guys use to pump yourselves up? And she goes, Benny and I would always sing The Body Shop. And I go, what's that?

• 9:01Benito Skinner?

Well, you know that she only hung out with bi guys before she met me. I'm her first like true gay.

• 9:07Benito Skinner?

Very Claro. What do you have to say to the bi guys in Bushwick who love your music? I love it.

• 9:13Mary Beth Barone?

Yeah, Gregorian chant. Oh, let me think on that one.

• 9:15Benito Skinner?

  Okay.

• 9:16Mary Beth Barone?

Favorite scene to film or the one that you broke the most?

• 9:19Benito Skinner?

Favorite scene to film? I think the scene with Wally in the Domino's parking lot, I really was like, oh, we found the show. I wrote this scene so long ago. She's perfect in it. I am having a really emotional reaction. And that was like 2 a.m. It was second week of shooting. I just felt like, oh, I think we're gonna make exactly what's in my head. And I was really, really happy. I also love shooting. The last shot we did was me drinking and doing the fish. And that was pretty feral. That was really fun. And I was with all my boys and that was fun. I love doing Rish at the door because to me that was so Y2K, like, what's going on? I had fresh sprayed.

• 10:02Mary Beth Barone?

  It was quintessential.

• 10:03Benito Skinner?

It was so like the show, like that we're having fun. So that was fun. The one I broke the most in. I broke a lot in the me getting caught for saying I titty fucked Carmen.

• 10:14Mary Beth Barone?

  Oh, yeah. Oh, my god.

• 10:15Benito Skinner?

Because Holmes, I didn't realize she was gonna go so hard. She was shaking and she's gonna have to.

• 10:20Mary Beth Barone?

  Don't touch our mail.

• 10:21Benito Skinner?

I was like, I couldn't do that. And I also did not know she was on the other side of the door when I walked out. I'm filming you, the ultimate. I'm filming you.

• 10:30Mary Beth Barone?

  I'm filming you.

• 10:31Benito Skinner?

And a virgin. That I screamed. But Matt and Bowen on the couch. And Matt, when he put his like tongue to the bottom of his chin.

• 10:38Mary Beth Barone?

  Yeah.

• 10:39Benito Skinner?

And did the ah, I was very happy to get out of there.

• 10:42Mary Beth Barone?

  It's coming to a roll.

• 10:43Benito Skinner?

There was, I was so lucky that that harness was cutting off my circulation. In a huge way. What about you?

• 10:49Mary Beth Barone?

I got asked this a few times in press and I definitely, I had fun every day on set. Like even the days that were hard or if I had like personal stuff going on, whatever, I just like, I had so much fun every day.

• 11:00Benito Skinner?

The only scene that was hard for me was the Halloween. I did feel like emotionally like, well, that was a like, I just felt.

• 11:05Mary Beth Barone?

We were in a really dusty warehouse and people don't know that there was a lot of dust in there.

• 11:08Benito Skinner?

Yeah, of course. Hey, easy to cry.

• 11:10Mary Beth Barone?

  Allergens.

• 11:11Benito Skinner?

But yeah, I just felt like, damn, this is such a true coming of age moment for I think everyone, but I think for gay people. It's just like you just, you put all this weight in something and then it.

• 11:22Mary Beth Barone?

  Disappoints.

• 11:23Benito Skinner?

Yeah, we are kind of getting into spoilers at this point. So if you haven't watched, like, come on, let her rip.

• 11:27Mary Beth Barone?

The scene where I broke the most was when Peter gets the keeper mask and the robe. Because I don't know, there's something in the air and every single setup we did, I was just cackling. And then, okay, another thing that I really didn't want to do was the finger guns. And you were like, no, you have to do it. And I was like, I really don't want to. And then I decided, all right, fine, if I'm gonna do it, I'm gonna go so hard. And so I went.

• 11:52Benito Skinner?

  Bonnie and Clyde, baby.

• 11:56Mary Beth Barone?

We could not stop breaking and that's why they cut away from me so quickly. And at one point, Desiree was like, guys, we have to move on. And she was like, we're just gonna have to move past this. And I go, no, we're getting it. And so we did one last take where we kept it together, but that was definitely the scene where I broke the most.

• 12:12Benito Skinner?

  Very miracle. Again.

• 12:14Mary Beth Barone?

  Again.

• 12:15Benito Skinner?

It's so funny. I wanted to plant this joke in the Halloween episode, but at that point, it was an emotional scene. But when you kiss Peter and walk in, I wanted someone around there to go, who are they? And one guy to go, I think they're Bonnie and Clyde. And then one person goes, that's gang. Yeah. It's just at that point, it was so like sad that we kind of had to stick to.

• 12:34Mary Beth Barone?

  That's gang.

• 12:35Benito Skinner?

  That's gang.

• 12:36Mary Beth Barone?

The dialogue, it just pours out of you.

• 12:38Benito Skinner?

I love it. I love it.

• 12:41Mary Beth Barone?

Hey, you guys. Pinky and I are here to do this week's ads. And we're starting with a company that I am very passionate about, Hill House Home. So as I mentioned, the baronies on staff at our newest advertiser convinced their bosses to let them advertise with us. So you know this one's gonna be for our girls. And they know what taika button means. They know what fighta means. They know what shaisenigawa means. Let us introduce you to Hill House Home. So I have Hill House Home sheets. I'm a [BLEEP] with them, bleep it. Pinky's a [BLEEP] with them, bleep it. The silk pillowcases are actually life-changing. And I want to tell you about the viral nap dress that Hill House Home actually invented because girls can invent things.

• 13:22Mary Beth Barone?

Celebs like Taylor Swift, Olivia Rodrigo, Anne Hathaway, and Kathy Hilton have been spotted in Hill House. They make the cutest little dresses and tops for our girls, perfect for spring and also summer. They are truly heirloom pieces. Talk about traditional family values. And that's in the copy. I didn't just come up with that. And they have little kids stuff for all of our nieces and nephews. And if you have children, that's your choice and I love that for you. But the thing we really love from Hill House Home are their robes and pajamas. Their bathrobes and pajamas are so soft, perfect for a getting ready moment. Or after you just went to an event with your bestie and you're about to do masks and watch sex and the city. The PJs are made from the same cotton fabric as their baby onesies, so you can sleep like a baby. Pinky just perked her head up because she heard cotton fabric.

• 14:06Mary Beth Barone?

You can also monogram them. Oh my God, maybe you could even make it say Taika. I'm not sure. I don't know how many characters they let you do. If you invented communion, what would you make it instead of bread and wine?

• 18:07Benito Skinner?

I would say a Bjorn corn.

• 18:11Mary Beth Barone?

  Totally.

• 18:12Benito Skinner?

  Cause it's like yeasty.

• 18:13Mary Beth Barone?

But you can't have just one. You're going up and getting the body of Christ over and over. You need like a bucket.

• 18:18Benito Skinner?

Well, you don't think it would be a handful? They would have the bag and kind of shake, they go like this.

• 18:23Mary Beth Barone?

  Yeah.

• 18:24Benito Skinner?

And she, right down the, so I think Bjorn corn, of course. And then I would say as far as the drink.

• 18:31Mary Beth Barone?

You're gonna do a sparkling water.

• 18:33Benito Skinner?

I'm gonna, but it's like, should it be a poppy randomly?

• 18:35Mary Beth Barone?

I don't know. Or like a mint lemonade.

• 18:38Benito Skinner?

Oh, stop. Okay, maybe it's a Spindrift. It's such a, wait, it's a blood orange Spindrift.

• 18:44Mary Beth Barone?

When we register a ride as a church, we're gonna have our own body and blood of.

• 18:48Benito Skinner?

  Hey, I'm not paying taxes.

• 18:50Mary Beth Barone?

  Mm-mm. Hell no.

• 18:52Benito Skinner?

  Wait, what about you?

• 18:53Mary Beth Barone?

Oh, I kind of have no notes on that, to be honest.

• 18:55Benito Skinner?

  It's the same.

• 18:56Mary Beth Barone?

It's like Bjorn corn would be so cool to eat at church, cause it's like, it's a little bit, you know, it's toward the end too. So you're just like, cool, we're almost done. It's like a way to show that we're just like about to wrap up. And then I think to have a little like sudsy little, you know, sparkling water, like, yeah, I'm so down.

• 19:10Benito Skinner?

Oh, one time my, my grandpa, Ed, he came to a mass for my eighth grade graduation and he's just like fully not Catholic. And he went up and did body and blood and he finished the blood. He just finished it. So that's my king and I miss him.

• 19:26Mary Beth Barone?

  The throat guts.

• 19:27Benito Skinner?

That's not, no. The throat guts. No. Wait, I love this slouch on you. Sorry. That's just like, that's good clean merch, kids.

• 19:36Mary Beth Barone?

  That's gang.

• 19:37Benito Skinner?

  That's gang.

• 19:37Mary Beth Barone?

Did you guys write the synopsis for each episode? Cause they're so ride coded.

• 19:41Benito Skinner?

Yeah. Yeah, we did. So we did. Yeah. And that was like a late in the, it was so funny. The showrunner, Scott King, asked me, he's like, they have them. Do you want to like zest it up? And so then I did a pass and then I was like, I think I know just the straight A student to finish this one up. But I love, some of it though, you can't make too many jokes. Like I had, oh my God, I was really, it started to be like, I was.

• 20:05Mary Beth Barone?

Doing a little type five in there.

• 20:06Benito Skinner?

I love to be a Carrie Bradshaw for a minute.

• 20:09Mary Beth Barone?

Who from Gossip Girl and or the OC would fit in at Yates? Final question.

• 20:13Benito Skinner?

So I do think Serena would come and be a dropout, of course. I think Flesh and Gold would love her immediate letter.

• 20:19Mary Beth Barone?

  She would be their queen.

• 20:20Benito Skinner?

Yeah, but then Blair would come to campus and she would want one too. But then I think for some reason, someone there would like hate her for some reason.

• 20:26Mary Beth Barone?

  With her.

• 20:26Benito Skinner?

They wouldn't fuck with her, but she'd make her own life. She'd make her own fun and she'd maybe be with us, the freaks.

• 20:33Mary Beth Barone?

I think she'd be with us, the freaks, the counterculture.

• 20:35Benito Skinner?

  Yeah, who else? Well.

• 20:37Mary Beth Barone?

  From the OC.

• 20:38Benito Skinner?

  Definitely not Serena's gay brother.

• 20:41Mary Beth Barone?

No, there's only room for a couple of gay guys at this school.

• 20:44Benito Skinner?

Maybe three. And then, hmm, who else? Oh, Chuck Bass feels very Flesh and Flesh and Gold.

• 20:51Mary Beth Barone?

  Yeah.

• 20:51Benito Skinner?

And I love that my girls know what I was doing with that name.

• 20:55Mary Beth Barone?

  I know.

• 20:55Benito Skinner?

  Took a second.

• 20:56Mary Beth Barone?

It took a second, but it was brought up in my group chat. And so I'm just glad that the girls got there. I would say from the OC. Flesh and.

• 21:04Benito Skinner?

  Oh, fish.

• 21:06Mary Beth Barone?

From the OC, I would say anyone, really. Honestly, anyone.

• 21:11Benito Skinner?

  All welcome.

• 21:12Mary Beth Barone?

I would take Sandy. Sandy Cohen coming to do a guest lecture.

• 21:14Benito Skinner?

  Of course.

• 21:15Mary Beth Barone?

  Hell, yeah.

• 21:16Benito Skinner?

  Hey, and hello, reformed alcoholic.

• 21:19Mary Beth Barone?

  Yeah.

• 21:19Benito Skinner?

  Kirsten.

• 21:19Mary Beth Barone?

  Kirsten.

• 21:20Benito Skinner?

  Kiki. She come through.

• 21:22Mary Beth Barone?

She's coming to do Scared Straight with kids.

• 21:23Benito Skinner?

  Don't.

• 21:24Mary Beth Barone?

  What? She's saying, stop drinking.

• 21:26Benito Skinner?

Don't. Don't do that. Yeah, pretty much all of them. The ghost of Marissa.

• 21:31Mary Beth Barone?

  Summer.

• 21:32Benito Skinner?

  Summer, of course.

• 21:33Mary Beth Barone?

I just did Rachel Bilson's podcast. Can I just reveal something to you?

• 21:37Benito Skinner?

  Yeah.

• 21:38Mary Beth Barone?

Rachel Bilson watched the scene where Marissa dies with Misha Barton.

• 21:42Benito Skinner?

  I know, I watched.

• 21:42Mary Beth Barone?

And she had never seen it before.

• 21:44Benito Skinner?

Rachel had never seen that scene with her?

• 21:45Mary Beth Barone?

Misha had never seen the scene at all. She never watched it.

• 21:49Benito Skinner?

  Oh, my God.

• 21:50Mary Beth Barone?

Yeah. So that's a little her story.

• 21:52Benito Skinner?

  How was she?

• 21:54Mary Beth Barone?

  Rachel Bilson, total doll.

• 21:55Benito Skinner?

  Yeah.

• 21:56Mary Beth Barone?

Like, you would not believe. How fabulous and lovely and wonderful. And I felt like it just felt like hanging out with friends.

• 22:05Benito Skinner?

Well, of course, it's Summer Roberts.

• 22:06Mary Beth Barone?

  It's Summer Roberts.

• 22:07Benito Skinner?

  Yeah.

• 22:07Mary Beth Barone?

  So, yeah.

• 22:08Benito Skinner?

She'll be at Yates real soon. I actually won't stop.

• 22:11Mary Beth Barone?

I think she would love that.

• 22:12Benito Skinner?

  I think she has to.

• 22:13Mary Beth Barone?

I think she would love that.

• 22:14Benito Skinner?

Should she be someone's like sister or something?

• 22:16Mary Beth Barone?

  Yeah, or godmother.

• 22:18Benito Skinner?

Peter's only child with really old parents, but I'll try to think about that.

• 22:21Mary Beth Barone?

  Think about it.

• 22:21Benito Skinner?

  Okay.

• 22:22Mary Beth Barone?

Should we get into what we ride for? Thank you for all of your thoughtful questions. And hey, if you have more questions and we happen to come across them and we feel like answering them, we will.

• 22:30Benito Skinner?

Of course, they weren't that show specific, which I love.

• 22:33Mary Beth Barone?

  It was Ask Me Anything.

• 22:34Benito Skinner?

  Yeah.

• 22:34Mary Beth Barone?

Yeah, someone did ask, and if you want to speak on this, you can. They said, what was it like kissing Lucas Gage?

• 22:39Benito Skinner?

Oh, great. He's the best. He had a little stubble, though, so it did make me raw.

• 22:43Mary Beth Barone?

I mean, a lot of people don't know that I kissed him first.

• 22:45Benito Skinner?

And that's so accurate. At a Halloween party, it's Paris Hilton. And there's video. He is just the loveliest man. And yes, that's cheating, of course. It was funny. So I got a DM this morning. I had posted something with Rish and they're like cheating. And then they came back later and we're like, hey, sorry. I meant that in the like podcast way. I'm not really, I'm not accusing you of this.

• 23:04Mary Beth Barone?

  Thank God they clarified.

• 23:05Benito Skinner?

  Thank you so much.

• 23:06Mary Beth Barone?

  And thank you so much.

• 23:07Benito Skinner?

I mean, what a dream, what a king. We had so much fun with him. I loved all the bar stuff.

• 23:11Mary Beth Barone?

Yeah, that was a fun day.

• 23:12Benito Skinner?

If you watch, I don't know if it made it in the cut, but there's somewhere it's like you clock him.

• 23:17Mary Beth Barone?

  Oh.

• 23:18Benito Skinner?

And you're looking at him and I don't know. There's some moments in it. Yeah. Or like clearly you two know each other, I think, which I like. That it's like, obviously you would know him if he was my best friend. So it was sweet.

• 23:29Mary Beth Barone?

And I'm wondering what happened there, but I'll find out.

• 23:32Benito Skinner?

You go, I gotta talk to this little bitch that had a lot to say about me in the press over here?

• 23:35Mary Beth Barone?

  Yeah. Hey, Sammy, what's good?

• 23:38Benito Skinner?

Wait, oh, my God, I watched this fan edit of, well, honestly, I was speechless. When now we'll go to your voice, Carmen and Grace.

• 23:44Mary Beth Barone?

Thank God, I need to see that. You need to be sending me more of them.

• 23:47Benito Skinner?

  I ship.

• 23:48Mary Beth Barone?

Let's get into what we ride for.

• 23:49Benito Skinner?

I ride for having one Lebooboo.

• 23:52Mary Beth Barone?

And I ride for letting people pay. Wait, where are we going?

• 23:56Benito Skinner?

  Who cares? Ride.

• 23:59Mary Beth Barone?

  I'm going first.

• 24:00Benito Skinner?

My Scorpio brain immediately went revenge.

• 24:02Mary Beth Barone?

Revenge. Not that. No. Here's what I'm talking about. And as you know, I'm a storyteller and I like to paint a picture. So here's what I'm going to say about this concept.

• 24:11Benito Skinner?

  Yeah.

• 24:12Mary Beth Barone?

  You're at a dinner. It's someone you haven't seen in a while.

• 24:15Benito Skinner?

  Of course.

• 24:15Mary Beth Barone?

You're having a fabulous dinner. Hey, maybe you even get dinner drunk. What the hell? Who knows? Who the hell knows?

• 24:21Benito Skinner?

  You had some sake.

• 24:22Mary Beth Barone?

You had some sake. Maybe you had a couple of Margs, like whatever it may be. And you get to the moment in the meal where the check is coming.

• 24:28Benito Skinner?

  Yeah.

• 24:28Mary Beth Barone?

And the person that you're with takes out their wallet and they say, I got this. Don't worry about it. I want to pay. Let me pay. And all you have to do in that situation is say, thank you so much. Yes.

• 24:40Benito Skinner?

And hey, I got you on the next one.

• 24:42Mary Beth Barone?

  Literally.

• 24:43Benito Skinner?

  Yeah.

• 24:44Mary Beth Barone?

Don't put up a fight. Don't do the whole thing where you insist on splitting. Don't make it awkward. Don't fight for two minutes, 120 seconds of going back and forth. Just let the person pay.

• 24:53Benito Skinner?

  I've given the card.

• 24:55Mary Beth Barone?

  Just, it's over.

• 24:55Benito Skinner?

  It's gone.

• 24:56Mary Beth Barone?

By the way, if that card hits the table, it's over. Just stop. Let it go.

• 24:59Benito Skinner?

  You lost.

• 25:00Mary Beth Barone?

  Let it go. I'm paying.

• 25:01Benito Skinner?

  You're a cheap bitch.

• 25:02Mary Beth Barone?

  And I'm not.

• 25:02Benito Skinner?

  You're, hey, you're a cheap bitch.

• 25:04Mary Beth Barone?

Just, just accept it. I just think it's like, there's so much like back and forth over these things. And then maybe eventually you end up splitting it and it's like, does that make you feel better? Did that make you feel better that we split it?

• 25:15Benito Skinner?

  No.

• 25:15Mary Beth Barone?

Cause I really wanted to pay. I wanted to do that for you.

• 25:17Benito Skinner?

  Splitting feels childish and garish.

• 25:19Mary Beth Barone?

  It's crass.

• 25:20Benito Skinner?

  It's crass.

• 25:21Mary Beth Barone?

It's very crass. And I don't think it's appropriate for people.

• 25:24Benito Skinner?

  Yeah.

• 25:25Mary Beth Barone?

  At our age.

• 25:26Benito Skinner?

  I don't think so either.

• 25:26Mary Beth Barone?

I think if the person wants to pay, you let them. And exactly. Next time you have a meal, clock it. Put in your records and you think, I'll pay on the next one. That's the most gracious thing you can do in that situation.

• 25:36Benito Skinner?

  I agree.

• 25:37Mary Beth Barone?

  Don't fight.

• 25:38Benito Skinner?

And I can't stress enough, I don't Venmo people. I don't Venmo charge people. I just, baby, don't do things like that. Do you understand?

• 25:44Mary Beth Barone?

But by that same thing too, don't offer to pay if you secretly want to split it. If you secretly want to split it, just, we'll split it.

• 25:51Benito Skinner?

Just go, let's split it. Exactly. Just be real. But you frequently date men who take me to dinner. Which says, I think it speaks volumes to you.

• 25:59Mary Beth Barone?

  My character.

• 26:00Benito Skinner?

Of course, and your character as a woman on earth. But it takes my breath away because I think I'm such a people pleaser.

• 26:07Mary Beth Barone?

You are. You pay a lot.

• 26:08Benito Skinner?

I pay because I'm just like, I don't even want to, like, I can't deal with it. And any of the weirdness, I'm like, here you go, done. Like, the last thing I would want on earth is someone's like, and he didn't even fucking pay. Like, I don't know. I just, I don't know why that's in my head, but it is. But I, I love this. And I think when I want to pay, I want to pay. I don't know if this is true outside of the US, but we've made money so fucking weird and uncomfortable.

• 26:28Mary Beth Barone?

  Oh, my god.

• 26:29Benito Skinner?

It's just all so, god, it's like, you can't ask someone salaries, you can't ask, it's like, there is no transparency on anything. So it's like, oh, I just, I, I hate it.

• 26:38Mary Beth Barone?

But if you offer to pay, I'm assuming that you can take on the financial burden of the meal.

• 26:43Benito Skinner?

  Of course.

• 26:43Mary Beth Barone?

And that you're gonna do it with flair.

• 26:45Benito Skinner?

You want to take daddy to dinner, of course.

• 26:47Mary Beth Barone?

And it's okay. And I did want to mention that I was told as I was butt naked at Sugar and Bronze with a baroni spraying me down, which is, there's hardly a safer place for me than that in the world.

• 26:57Benito Skinner?

Hey, I love to show my girls hole.

• 26:58Mary Beth Barone?

The hole. I was informed that due to tariffs, they have to change their formulas. So if you think the tariffs aren't gonna affect you, you're dead fucking wrong.

• 27:05Benito Skinner?

They are. We'll see what your level three looks like next year, sis. Maybe next month. What are the undertones gonna be? I got a level four recently that was crazy.

• 27:16Mary Beth Barone?

Oh, the best level four I've gotten was the baroni, by the way. West Third location.

• 27:20Benito Skinner?

And hey, I believe that. Should we talk about when I got turned away at the door?

• 27:23Mary Beth Barone?

I knew this was gonna come up at some point, and I'm ready to talk about it if you are. But I don't want you to make this a New York, LA thing. It's not.

• 27:32Benito Skinner?

Sometimes it really be your own communities. It was one of those things, I was eight minutes late, I swear to god, you even know this. I was eight minutes late.

• 27:41Mary Beth Barone?

You called me before and after. You go, I just called them and they, I said I'm gonna be late and they said they don't know if they can.

• 27:47Benito Skinner?

No, they were like, they were kind of like, no. And I was like, but it's only eight minutes. I guess in LA, they're kind of like, if you're there within 15, like, we got you, girl.

• 27:55Mary Beth Barone?

  For everything.

• 27:56Benito Skinner?

  Yeah, of course. They're like.

• 27:57Mary Beth Barone?

But this was at 8pm on a weeknight.

• 27:58Benito Skinner?

They say, get that sock on your cock and let's spray you homo.

• 28:01Mary Beth Barone?

  And let's fucking go.

• 28:01Benito Skinner?

And, yeah, it just was, it was one of those things, like, I had to walk in and out of a Sugar and Bronze the same color as when you came in. Like, it's just. I've, I've never held my head so low.

• 28:11Mary Beth Barone?

Low. Yeah. It was so. It was a big tail between your legs moment.

• 28:14Benito Skinner?

It was. I had to call you after.

• 28:15Mary Beth Barone?

And then you had to come back. So it was 8:00 PM on a weeknight. And this is just how booming the business of Sugar and Bronze is.

• 28:19Benito Skinner?

  Before Seth Meyers.

• 28:20Mary Beth Barone?

And then you had to go back.

• 28:21Benito Skinner?

He couldn't meet me like that.

• 28:22Mary Beth Barone?

You had to go back at 10:00 PM.

• 28:23Benito Skinner?

  He, Seth said.

• 28:24Mary Beth Barone?

  They had to reschedule you.

• 28:24Benito Skinner?

Seth said, come as anything, but don't come as you are.

• 28:26Mary Beth Barone?

Do not. He said, come as you aren't.

• 28:28Benito Skinner?

  Yes.

• 28:29Mary Beth Barone?

You better get a level four or we don't allow you in 30 Rock.

• 28:31Benito Skinner?

Sweetie. And Seth has a fabulous tan, so I was not about to be next to him.

• 28:35Mary Beth Barone?

  No.

• 28:35Benito Skinner?

  Like not at 100.

• 28:37Mary Beth Barone?

  That would have been humiliating.

• 28:38Benito Skinner?

It would have been so, so it was really hard. I got turned away. I went back about three hours later.

• 28:41Mary Beth Barone?

Well, the funny thing is like Sugar and Bronze could kind of treat me however they want at this point because I won't go anywhere else. So I had a membership snafu and I had to go in there guns blazing, but I was very respectful and I, you know, as, as everyone knows, I used to work in customer service. So I always come in knowing that it's not that manager's policy. But I was like, you have to extend these expiration dates.

• 28:59Benito Skinner?

  Yeah.

• 29:00Mary Beth Barone?

And they did, and that was fabulous. And thank you so much. But even if they hadn't, like, I can't go anywhere else. I need the consistency. And so I just, yeah, it all really comes back to tariffs and, and letting people pay. When the tariffs are in effect, let people pay because you don't know when that next paycheck's coming.

• 29:14Benito Skinner?

  No.

• 29:14Mary Beth Barone?

It's all going towards the steel industry or something. We don't know. And dear media, clip that.

• 29:20Benito Skinner?

  Don't clip that. Yeah.

• 29:22Mary Beth Barone?

  We're not sure.

• 29:23Benito Skinner?

  Yeah, we aren't sure.

• 29:25Mary Beth Barone?

  There's no way of knowing.

• 29:25Benito Skinner?

But I do, on Amazon, it says it next to it. And I'm like, damn. And say that.

• 29:29Mary Beth Barone?

  You say, no, please.

• 29:31Benito Skinner?

  Stating the obvious.

• 29:31Mary Beth Barone?

  Finally, some financial transparency.

• 29:34Benito Skinner?

Exactly. I'm like, let's talk, hey, let's talk about it. But yeah, I love this. It can just feel really good that like, you know, you have these relationships with people where you feel comfortable like treating them and, and allow people the, you know, sometimes like my love language is gift giving. So I'm just like, I like it. I don't know. Just let me do it and don't.

• 29:50Mary Beth Barone?

It's along the same lines of let glam happen. Just let people pay.

• 29:54Benito Skinner?

Exactly. And they're the exact same.

• 29:56Mary Beth Barone?

They are. That little moment of like discord in the meal, it just doesn't need to happen.

• 30:00Benito Skinner?

  I agree.

• 30:01Mary Beth Barone?

I was playing Mafia last night for the first time. I was taught the rules by two straight men. Three in the room, two straight men teaching three in the room.

• 30:07Benito Skinner?

  Who are you with?

• 30:08Mary Beth Barone?

I don't even want to talk about it. But guess what gave me away? Because everyone has their heads down. And what, what am I doing with my hand? Raising it and what, it's the distinct sound of a Tiffany check. So.

• 30:20Benito Skinner?

They all knew that. Everyone at once said Tiffany check.

• 30:23Mary Beth Barone?

  And I said, fuck me.

• 30:25Benito Skinner?

  Oh, God.

• 30:26Mary Beth Barone?

Fuck my fucking, fuck my fucking life with a huge horse cock.

• 30:30Benito Skinner?

That family, oh my God, that was an acting masterclass. That family who looks at her.

• 30:34Mary Beth Barone?

  Yeah.

• 30:35Benito Skinner?

Fuck my huge, no, fuck my fucking.

Fuck my fucking life with a huge horse cock. Thank you, Kaia.

• 30:41Benito Skinner?

  That's just great writing.

• 30:42Mary Beth Barone?

Yeah, that is. Madison's here. She's just unpacking a gorgeous Weetabix gown that I'm about to try on. But before I do that, I need to actually talk about Bilt Rewards. Attention renters, if you haven't heard of Bilt and Madison, if you rent, this could be like really eye opening for you. You're about to thank me. Earn your favorite airline miles and hotel points through Bilt just by paying your rent on time. Let me explain. There's no cost to join Bilt. And just by paying your rent, you unlock flexible points that can be transferred to your favorite hotels and airlines, a future rent payment, your next Lyft ride and more. When you pay rent through Bilt, you unlock two powerful benefits. First, you earn one of the industry's most valuable points on rent every single month, no matter where you live or who your landlord is, your rent now works for you, which we love that.

• 31:28Mary Beth Barone?

Second, you gain access to exclusive neighborhood benefits, and there's a little trademark next to that, in your city. Built's neighborhood benefits are things like extra points on dining out, complimentary post-workout shakes, free mats or towels at your favorite fitness studios, and unique experiences, multiple, that only Bilt members can access. And when you're ready to travel, Bilt points can be converted to your favorite miles and hotel points around the world, meaning your rent can literally take you places. So if you're not earning points on rent, my question is, what are you waiting for? And when I said rent can literally take you places, I know that if Benny were here, he would be singing, I can show you the world from Aladdin. Just think about that as I continue. Start paying rent through Bilt and take advantage of your neighborhood benefits trademarked by going to joinbilt.com/ride. That's J-O-I-N-B-I-L-T.com/ride.

• 32:12Mary Beth Barone?

Make sure to use our URL so they know we sent you. joinbilt.com/ride to sign up for Bilt today and I'm gonna be late for my waxing appointment. Okay.

• 32:21Mary Beth Barone?

Crap Eyewear. They have a phonetic pronunciation on the ad copy, which is how you know they know that we are bimbos. It literally says phonetic pronunciation and then just the name of the company, Crap Eyewear. Crap Eyewear is an independent sunglass brand designed and tested at beachside in sunny Los Angeles, California. So they know sun and they know sunglasses. Born in reaction. Wow. Born in reaction is such powerful prose. I was also born in reaction. Crap Eyewear was born in reaction to an overpriced and overly serious sunglass market. They're on a mission to create... Wow, I'm getting choked up here thinking about how I was born in reaction. They're on a mission to create funky, earth-friendly eyewear without the heavy retail markup.

• 33:06Mary Beth Barone?

I have, I think, seven pairs of Crap Eyewear because they did send us a few pairs. They have a fabulous selection. The sunglasses are such high quality and they go with every outfit. Truly, I have some basic ones that are like black and then I have more fun ones. Like I have a red pair with rhinestones, which like you might not think of me when you see a pair of red rhinestone sunglasses, but like I can still surprise you after all these years. They make the best-priced premium sunglasses on the market. They are handcrafted bio-acetate. In parentheses, it says biodegradable. Frames with optical-grade lenses, CR39, lenses with 100% UVA/UVB protection. And that's actually really important because if they don't have that, then like what are they really even doing? Certified carbon-neutral business and independently owned.

• 33:51Mary Beth Barone?

Huge. Head to crapeyewear.com to shop. That's C-R-A-P-E-Y-E-W-E-A-R.com to shop. Use the code RIDE at checkout for 20% off full-price items. And just to clarify, to reiterate, I should say, it's pronounced crap.

• 34:10Benito Skinner?

Should we get into my ride?

• 34:10Mary Beth Barone?

Let's get into your ride because I have no idea what these are.

• 34:14Benito Skinner?

Can you look up the history really quick?

• 34:15Mary Beth Barone?

Oh, sure. Let me just get a quick history.

• 34:17Benito Skinner?

Yeah. Can you look up the entire background of Labubus?

• 34:21Mary Beth Barone?

When did you first become aware of Labubu? Because that's something only you know.

• 34:24Benito Skinner?

So I first became aware of Labubus about a month ago. And I was watching people have 30 of them attach their bags. And you know, I love keychains. I've always been addicted to flair. I love pins. My laptop is covered in stickers. I just think it's a cool way to express yourself.

• 34:39Mary Beth Barone?

And I completely agree. It's similar to Mom's flip flops, I would say.

• 34:43Benito Skinner?

On my little Dior bag, I have like this little football player keychain. And it's just like, it's just cool. Like to me, that's, to me, it's like, well, that's Benny's bag. You know what I mean? It's like getting to do that.

• 34:53Mary Beth Barone?

  It's not someone else's bag. It's Benny's bag.

• 34:54Benito Skinner?

Anytime adults can go back to childhood whimsy and just get excited for a toy. Like, that's just fun.

• 35:00Mary Beth Barone?

You're not ready for the Labubu Wikipedia.

• 35:02Benito Skinner?

I do believe it comes from where the wild things are, if I'm correct.

• 35:06Mary Beth Barone?

Labubu is a character designed by Kasing Lung, a Hong Kong born artist raised in the Netherlands. It's part of Lung's story series, The Monsters, which was influenced by Nordic folklore. My people are Nordic. And mythology that he enjoyed during his childhood. But you're not ready for this. Labubus, this is written, this is in, this is the sacred text. Labubus are described as having a playful, yet slightly fierce look. If that ain't Benny fucking drama.

• 35:29Benito Skinner?

I swear to God. So this is one of those things where you see yourself reflected in media.

• 35:35Mary Beth Barone?

  Yeah.

• 35:35Benito Skinner?

I look at Labubu dolls and I've never seen my face more clearly. They look exactly like me. Tell me they don't.

• 35:42Mary Beth Barone?

  They do.

• 35:42Benito Skinner?

I'm sorry. Terry was even like, it looks like you. Like, I'm sorry. It's just like, I am a Labubu doll. So I just think it's so fun. They sell them at Popmart, which I believe originated in Hong Kong. Can you tell me that? That's the only other like fact we'll do.

• 35:57Mary Beth Barone?

That, oh, yes. Marketed by Popmart.

• 35:59Benito Skinner?

  Yes.

• 35:59Mary Beth Barone?

  Very good.

• 36:00Benito Skinner?

  Yeah. Popmart in.

• 36:01Mary Beth Barone?

See, how do you know more than you think?

• 36:02Benito Skinner?

There's one in Glendale. Oh, yeah. But these things have been selling out because they have these things called blind boxes.

• 36:07Mary Beth Barone?

  Right.

• 36:07Benito Skinner?

Which obviously I'm familiar with because of my love of Disney adults.

• 36:10Mary Beth Barone?

And something you might not know is that they gained widespread attention in 2024 after Blackpink's Lisa was spotted with it, both as a plush toy and as a keychain on her bag.

• 36:19Benito Skinner?

And Rihanna had one on her bag as well.

• 36:22Mary Beth Barone?

Well, I mean, might as well be a bullseye.

• 36:23Benito Skinner?

  So, I mean, fashion darlings.

• 36:25Mary Beth Barone?

These things can't stay on the shelves.

• 36:26Benito Skinner?

True fashion darlings. Well, they can't. So I just kept seeing them and I'm like, well, so that's me. And I need one. And this is where I get to this. So I fear we are consuming too much. And something about watching a grown adult have 30, I think, is a little stressful to me. Do whatever you want, as long as it's not hurting anyone.

• 36:48Mary Beth Barone?

But it might be hurting the planet.

• 36:49Benito Skinner?

It might be hurting the planet a little bit, but I say this, and then I live in a glass house.

• 36:54Mary Beth Barone?

  I know.

• 36:54Benito Skinner?

Because I, of course, told the entire cast of overcompensating, hey, I'm like so excited for premiere day. You have until the end of the day to get me a Labubu. I can't find one. Like, can someone get me a Labubu? Courtney and Moore gets me what is technically my first Labubu, because he got it before the other one I found, which I'll talk about in a second. So this is the Labubu series. It's Blind Box, which it's so fun, because you can be like, I really want that one. And if you don't get it, it's like, well, this is the one that was meant for me.

• 37:20Mary Beth Barone?

  Blind Box is genius marketing.

• 37:22Benito Skinner?

  I mean.

• 37:22Mary Beth Barone?

  It's just good for business.

• 37:23Benito Skinner?

  Well, of course.

• 37:24Mary Beth Barone?

We're gonna do Blind Box Right merch.

• 37:26Benito Skinner?

Yeah, I mean, the fat cats came up with this.

• 37:28Mary Beth Barone?

  Totally.

• 37:28Benito Skinner?

So, okay, here's, here's what we have. Camera, dear media.

• 37:33Mary Beth Barone?

And for those that can't see, watch it on YouTube.

• 37:35Benito Skinner?

Okay, so here we go. I think I know which one I want. Which one do you think I want?

• 37:41Mary Beth Barone?

Oh, that's tough. I'm gonna say this one. And this is just a shot in the dark.

• 37:45Benito Skinner?

  Exactly the one I wanted.

• 37:46Mary Beth Barone?

No way! Well, it's wearing blush.

• 37:48Benito Skinner?

Yes, he has blush on, and that one looks the most like me, I'd say.

• 37:51Mary Beth Barone?

  Yeah.

• 37:52Benito Skinner?

And he has platinum hair. Oh, fuck, I feel the rush.

• 37:55Mary Beth Barone?

  Ah, feel the rush.

• 37:57Benito Skinner?

This is what Troy was talking about. It has nothing to do with gay sex.

• 37:59Mary Beth Barone?

It was about opening a Labubu.

• 38:02Benito Skinner?

  Oh.

• 38:05Mary Beth Barone?

Stop, I'm starting to sweat now.

• 38:08Benito Skinner?

Ah, this is so. Well, I will say, the background is, I found two at a resale place, so I did pay, you know, top dollar for two of them. Terry couldn't have given a fuck less, but I did know exactly the ones we'd get. So I have the kind of furry one keychain, and I said, I bet I get toffee, because that one's so me. And I said, Terry, you're gonna get the blue one? There's like a light blue one. I wonder if it's called, it's like sea salt or something. And he got that.

• 38:32Mary Beth Barone?

  Hope you're right.

• 38:34Benito Skinner?

Oh, I didn't get that one, but look!

• 38:36Mary Beth Barone?

  Whoa.

• 38:37Benito Skinner?

Wait, is this the secret one?

• 38:38Mary Beth Barone?

Are you about to be a millionaire?

• 38:40Benito Skinner?

Oh, oh my god, I got the secret one.

• 38:42Mary Beth Barone?

  Whoa.

• 38:43Benito Skinner?

  Court?

• 38:45Mary Beth Barone?

  Court, you're on notice.

• 38:46Benito Skinner?

This is worth up to $4.

• 38:47Mary Beth Barone?

  No.

• 38:48Benito Skinner?

This is, I just got the Princess Diana Beanie Baby.

• 38:52Mary Beth Barone?

  Wow.

• 38:52Benito Skinner?

Holy shit. Wait, does this go on a phone?

• 38:55Mary Beth Barone?

  Can I see?

• 38:56Benito Skinner?

  Where does he sit?

• 38:58Mary Beth Barone?

Let me, let me touch it.

• 38:59Benito Skinner?

Look at him. That one specifically doesn't look like me. It kinda looks like you.

• 39:02Mary Beth Barone?

Yeah, that's very me. Well, we're gonna figure out how to place this. Oh, it's sticky. Yeah, I think it goes on the phone.

• 39:08Benito Skinner?

Yeah, so that's going on my phone later.

• 39:10Mary Beth Barone?

Wow, I love it. I love her.

• 39:12Benito Skinner?

Isn't that so fun? Okay, so I have a little one and then I have the keychains. But I just think it's a return to childhood whimsy.

• 39:18Mary Beth Barone?

Pokemon culture, Crazy Bones culture, Pogs culture.

• 39:21Benito Skinner?

McDonald's toys. And so I know what it's tickling in my brain, the blind box of it all. Like, I can't believe this thing has made me happy. It really, it really do be the smallest things.

• 39:31Mary Beth Barone?

I know. And it's not what you would ever expect. To get a text from you saying, "I need a Labubu doll" was totally, I mean, you can still surprise me after all these years.

• 39:38Benito Skinner?

  Adam goes, "Oh, yeah."

• 39:39Mary Beth Barone?

  Yeah.

• 39:40Benito Skinner?

And then Court goes, "Oh, yeah, I want one."

• 39:42Mary Beth Barone?

  Yeah.

• 39:42Benito Skinner?

So I knew that, like, I just, like, we, you know.

• 39:44Mary Beth Barone?

  Tapped into something.

• 39:45Benito Skinner?

  We've got the right cast.

• 39:46Mary Beth Barone?

  I know.

• 39:47Benito Skinner?

  And Wally goes, "What's that?"

• 39:48Mary Beth Barone?

  Right.

• 39:48Benito Skinner?

And exactly, I'm like, everyone was who they are.

• 39:50Mary Beth Barone?

And Rich didn't respond, because he had a sty.

• 39:52Benito Skinner?

Yes, he did. Wow, poor guy. It's really...

• 39:55Mary Beth Barone?

Sty culture. We talked about on Jake Shane's podcast, the sty community needs to pipe the F down.

• 40:01Benito Skinner?

The last three, I'm telling you, it won't stop until it gets us all. It's like a horror movie in a way.

• 40:06Mary Beth Barone?

It's coming for me in a lot of ways.

• 40:07Benito Skinner?

I swear to God. "You've seen the Babadook?" Sorry, I just...

• 40:10Mary Beth Barone?

I love that you know Babadook. Yes, Rich, the international sensation.

• 40:14Benito Skinner?

  Commercially successful.

• 40:15Mary Beth Barone?

  The absolute blockbuster horror movie.

• 40:17Benito Skinner?

Okay, well, this is, this is my Labubu. I'm a [BLEEP]. I just, okay, so now I have two, but here's my thing. I think just get one. I think they keep selling out everywhere. I watched a mom open six in front of her kid, and they were all for her, and yeah.

• 40:29Mary Beth Barone?

  Okay.

• 40:29Benito Skinner?

So I don't, I just wanted to say that. You don't have to amplify, say, "I just wanted to tell you that."

• 40:34Mary Beth Barone?

  Totally.

• 40:34Benito Skinner?

But yeah, and I love watching people open them. It's a lot like pin trading at Disneyland. I'm really tapped into this. I don't know, something about, like, when you're making a TV show, you need the things you watch to be so absolutely different than all of it. But I do think that this feels like a Haley thing to me, immediately, like, 50 keychains.

• 40:53Mary Beth Barone?

Second semester, she's gotten 50 for Christmas. She got every single one.

• 40:57Benito Skinner?

  She's on the resale market.

• 40:58Mary Beth Barone?

She made her mom buy 1,000 of them, so she can get every single one.

• 41:01Benito Skinner?

  Yeah.

• 41:02Mary Beth Barone?

You know what you are, Benny?

• 41:03Benito Skinner?

  Hmm, a [BLEEP].

• 41:04Mary Beth Barone?

Your words, not mine. Babe, you're my ride or die.

• 41:08Benito Skinner?

  Ride or die.

• 41:10Mary Beth Barone?

I ride for getting one LaBubu. I think it speaks to, yes, the conspicuous consumption to just have one. You now have three, which I think is interesting that you're riding for having one and you now have three.

• 41:20Benito Skinner?

  Terry has the other one.

• 41:21Mary Beth Barone?

  Sure.

• 41:21Benito Skinner?

  That was a gift.

• 41:22Mary Beth Barone?

  In the home, though.

• 41:23Benito Skinner?

He let me pay for his LaBubu.

• 41:24Mary Beth Barone?

In the home. I think it's these little joys and that is really what ride is all about. And like, yeah, you're not hurting anyone and you have a cool new phone accessory. Also, I think little tiny things that are cute. Bring that back.

• 41:37Benito Skinner?

  I agree.

• 41:37Mary Beth Barone?

I think we've strayed too far from that culture and that's why we're in the situation that we're in.

• 41:41Benito Skinner?

Things are too big. I agree.

• 41:42Mary Beth Barone?

They're way too big and they're not cute.

• 41:44Benito Skinner?

No, no, no, no. I need like little cutie, like little.

• 41:47Mary Beth Barone?

  Little tiny, little cutie things.

• 41:48Benito Skinner?

Little keychains. I will say my LaBubu is kind of big. I had him on my backpack and he was kind of getting in my way during TSA, so I did take him off that. I don't know where I'll put him. Court said maybe on your belt loop and I'm like, that feels kind of like a big statement.

• 41:59Mary Beth Barone?

No, I need to see that on you.

• 42:00Benito Skinner?

But I'm kind of fucking down.

• 42:01Mary Beth Barone?

I am fortunate to see you at a panel wearing that.

• 42:04Benito Skinner?

I think I will, like have one at a panel.

• 42:06Mary Beth Barone?

  Yeah.

• 42:06Benito Skinner?

I hope. I can only hope.

• 42:08Mary Beth Barone?

  You can only hope.

• 42:08Benito Skinner?

But that really means so much. LaBubus would love to have you. I do think you could also be their queen, but steampunk is still waiting.

• 42:15Mary Beth Barone?

Oh, can I just say that all the comments on TikTok that say Tim Burton created you couldn't mean more to me? Couldn't mean more.

• 42:21Benito Skinner?

Well, you know, my favorite joke, credit title man, that he's, if you died, he'd come to your funeral and go, "This the bitch I was talking about."

• 42:29Mary Beth Barone?

  And he'll be jacking off.

• 42:30Benito Skinner?

  Of course.

• 42:31Mary Beth Barone?

And Tim Burton, if you're listening, we love your work.

• 42:33Benito Skinner?

We are such stans. We are such Beetlejuice Beetlejuice heads. He is like one of my heroes, I will say. I really ride for just letting Papa pay. And I think also I'm like learning in myself to let people pay and I'm like, it doesn't mean they're mad or they're going to hold this over me for the rest of my life.

• 42:49Mary Beth Barone?

And that says a lot that you even, that that would cross your mind.

• 42:52Benito Skinner?

It probably speaks to like some real deep trauma within my body, which we'll all unpack in season three.

• 42:57Mary Beth Barone?

Love being transactional. I'm just going to put that out there.

• 43:02Benito Skinner?

Well, this has been an amazing show. We would love to watch you open your LaBoobos, but also if you don't want to get one, don't get one.

• 43:08Mary Beth Barone?

Right, and you can just watch other people open them, and it sounds like that's just as gratifying.

• 43:11Benito Skinner?

It's so fabulous. Just like a woman in her car with, obviously locked, because of the world we live in, just getting to have a drink and opening anything. I have never felt so good.

• 43:24Mary Beth Barone?

Observe, observe female joy. Can I just say, observe. And observe female joy when you offered to pay for a woman's meal.

• 43:33Benito Skinner?

Seeing the female joy of overcompensating is like one of the greatest gifts in my life. I'm serious. You couldn't put that in a blind box? I know some of you fuckers would try. We have to stop consuming so much. It's really scary, and if I'm saying that, that means a lot.

• 43:47Mary Beth Barone?

  Yeah, we have received.

• 43:48Benito Skinner?

Because I was raised on mall culture.

• 43:49Mary Beth Barone?

  We're nearing the end.

• 43:51Benito Skinner?

That's about all, folks. Wow, how do we end this one, my princess? My princess of Sheba?

• 43:58Mary Beth Barone?

  Of darkness?

• 43:59Benito Skinner?

  Of darkness.

• 44:00Mary Beth Barone?

I will, all I'm gonna say is that if you are gonna consume anything, let it be Yates merch.

• 44:05Benito Skinner?

  Sorry.

• 44:05Mary Beth Barone?

Let it be overcompensating merch. Let it be Slut Slayer merch.

• 44:07Benito Skinner?

That's as good as it gets. Thank you, 824. I mean, I really don't have much to say. No notes.

• 44:12Mary Beth Barone?

Every straight man in my life asking me, who designed Slut Slayer? Including members of my family. I go, that's a gay guy.

• 44:19Benito Skinner?

So, a gay guy came up with it, and a group of iconic, straight men ate it up for me.

• 44:25Mary Beth Barone?

  They brought it to life.

• 44:26Benito Skinner?

It really, oh, I have the version that's gonna be in season two. I can't wait.

• 44:29Mary Beth Barone?

  Oh, okay, no spoilers.

• 44:30Benito Skinner?

Slut Slayer, bleep it. Say Slut Slayer for me, Jackson.

• 44:34Mary Beth Barone?

  That's a lot of sluts.

• 44:34Benito Skinner?

Slut Slayer. That's a little Easter egg for ya.

• 44:37Mary Beth Barone?

  Dude.

• 44:38Benito Skinner?

Love is like a joke. One, two, three, now you three me. Say it. One, two, three.

• 44:45Mary Beth Barone?

  Now you three me.

• 44:49Benito Skinner?

  Oh, my exit.

• 44:50Mary Beth Barone?

Benny, babe, eyes on the road.

• 44:53Mary Beth Barone?

  Benny, go!

• 45:03Speaker 04
