• 0:29Josh Horowitz?

Is Mason Thame gonna be on Percy Jackson at some point?

• 0:32Speaker 02

I would like him to be. I mean, I think that'd be awesome.

• 0:36Josh Horowitz?

Who does he play? Let's cast him. What do you got?

• 0:39Speaker 02

That's what I'm trying to... Maybe he could be... Who do you guys think he should be?

• 0:45Speaker 02

Rachel. Yeah, Rachel's perfect. I like that. He could be Rachel.

• 0:49Speaker 03

Prepare your ears, humans. Happy, Sad, Confused begins now.

• 0:57Josh Horowitz?

Hey, guys, it's Josh. Welcome to another edition of Happy, Sad, Confused. Today on the show, Percy Jackson himself, Walker Scobell, talking all things Percy, and much, much more. Hey, guys, thanks as always for tuning into the podcast, for watching on YouTube or Spotify, wherever you're enjoying this. I appreciate you guys. This was a wild, big, live event at 92nd Street Y, our last live event of the year. And we truly went out in style. Sold-out crowd, about 850 screaming Percy Jackson, Walker Scobell fans. You're gonna enjoy this one. Before we get to all that, some quick notes. Not much to say, except I hope you guys are having a great holiday. I hope you're having a little time off,

• 1:41Josh Horowitz?

maybe to spend with friends and family. I do want to say we do have one very exciting event. Actually, two, but I think only one I can say right now because tickets are officially on sale for me and Tom Hiddleston.

• 1:55Josh Horowitz?

Enough said, right? Happy Sad Confused All-Star Tom Hiddleston is returning, talking all things The Night Manager, season two, and of course, we'll hit on some other stuff, too. You know, if you've seen my stuff with Tom, I don't need to sell you on it. It's gonna be a really fun night back at 92nd Street Y. What a way to start 2026 with Tom Hiddleston. So, link is in the show notes to get your tickets now. I'm sure the Solvio packed house, get in on it. And I think there's an online option, too, to watch virtually. But yeah, looking forward to that one. Okay, so just a little preamble on this episode. Walker Sco Bell, one of our younger guests, probably in the history of Happy Sad Confused, but he is such

• 2:37Josh Horowitz?

a charming, sweet, talented young guy. So happy this worked out. He's been on the pod technically before because he's been on with his co-stars from Percy Jackson, but this time it was front and center, all Walker Sco Bell. Of course, the second season of Percy is going right now on Disney+. I will say, we screened episode four prior to this event, so best to maybe catch up and see episode four before watching or listening to this because we do talk about specifics of that episode. It's, by the way, a really stellar standout episode, and I think one of Walker's favorites. And yeah, just like a very sweet, cool young man. I think he's 16,

• 3:20Josh Horowitz?

I think he's about to turn 17. And to hold the screen as a presence at that young age is very impressive. And then to, you know, walk out on a stage in front of nearly 1,000 people, be chill enough to kind of handle it. I couldn't have done it when I was his age. So, my thanks to Walker, to everybody at Disney+, his whole team for making it happen. And hopefully we'll do more because, yeah, he's, I mean, the fanbase for Percy and Walker. I feel the love, guys, and he does, too. So, I guess without any further ado, let's go to that conversation recorded at the 92nd Street Y. You're gonna hear a lot of cheering, a lot of excitement. It's me and Percy Jackson himself. It's Walker Sco Bell.

• 4:04Josh Horowitz?

  Hi, guys. How's it going?

• 4:09Josh Horowitz?

I gather it's going well. Welcome to the 92nd Street Y, everybody. My name's Josh Horowitz. I host a podcast called Happy Sad Confused, and we are ending the year in style. You guys have sold out the 92nd Street Y. Give yourselves a round of applause.

• 4:25Josh Horowitz?

I know why you have, because it is rare, I find, when an iconic role is cast with the absolute perfect actor.

• 4:38Josh Horowitz?

Percy Jackson is Walker Scobell, Walker Scobell is Percy Jackson. Are you enjoying the new season, guys?

• 4:47Josh Horowitz?

As I said, this is our last big event in New York of the year, and I'm so thrilled you all have come out for this. Walker's been on the stage before with some of his castmates, but tonight, he's going solo, so make him feel welcome. Give him a big, warm welcome. It's Walker Scobell, everybody!

• 5:20Josh Horowitz?

I'm nervous. I've never done this without Leah or Orion. I know. Where's your backup? Did you bring any backup today, just in case? No, they left me. They went home for Christmas. How can we make you feel comfortable? I want you to feel relaxed and comfortable, Walker. How about this? On the count of three, we're all gonna say, "You've got this, Walker." Okay, you ready? One, two, three. You've got this, Walker! This place is really full.

• 5:59Josh Horowitz?

Who would you come out? Like, the fans came out for you. Who would you sign up, buy a ticket for, scream your head off? Concert, actor? Is there anybody? I would say...

• 6:16Speaker 02

I'd say maybe, I don't know, I'm, I'm, I'm, right now I want to see Marty Supreme, so maybe Timothy Chalamet, that'd be awesome.

• 6:25Josh Horowitz?

Have you met Timothy Chalamet yet?

• 6:27Speaker 02

No, I've never met him, but I really want one of those Marty Supreme jackets.

• 6:30Josh Horowitz?

Right. I think that's gonna happen in your future, I predict it.

• 6:34Speaker 02

  I hope so.

• 6:35Josh Horowitz?

So, you've done a lot of your press, like, we've done a lot of press together, but a lot of it has been with, with Arian and Lea. By now, I feel like you could answer their questions for them. So, so Lea, what's the best part of working, what's the best part of working with Walker? Now, would you say?

• 6:53Speaker 02

Uh, I mean, he's just so dedicated, and, he's amazing, um, yeah, it's pretty much it.

• 7:01Josh Horowitz?

Arian, any goofy things happen on set with Walker at any point? Any wacky things? Oh, I'm boring, I don't remember anything.

• 7:09Josh Horowitz?

I did ask some of your castmates to describe you in three words.

• 7:13Speaker 02

  Oh no.

• 7:14Josh Horowitz?

  You ready?

• 7:15Speaker 02

  No.

• 7:17Josh Horowitz?

See if you can guess which castmate said this. Funny, leader, kind.

• 7:23Speaker 02

  Daniel.

• 7:25Josh Horowitz?

  It's Dior.

• 7:26Speaker 02

Okay, yeah, that's nice, that's nice.

• 7:29Josh Horowitz?

  Hardworking, loyal, passionate?

• 7:33Speaker 02

  That's Daniel.

• 7:34Josh Horowitz?

  It's Arian, actually.

• 7:36Speaker 02

That's Arian? He, this is like the, what, the fourth or, fourth time he's said something nice about me? We've been doing a press tour for like, three weeks.

• 7:44Josh Horowitz?

He also said, he gave me a few, he said also, less cool Levi.

• 7:48Speaker 02

Okay, yeah, that, that makes, I actually agree with that.

• 7:51Josh Horowitz?

Can you explain the context of that? Levi's a new cast member, obviously, right?

• 7:54Speaker 02

Yeah, Levi plays Nico D'Angelo, uh, who's amazing, by the way. Yeah, no, he's, honestly, he's better than all of us in like, every single way.

• 8:04Josh Horowitz?

Is he cooler, though, as, as Arian said?

• 8:06Speaker 02

Oh, yeah, I mean, I'm, oh, I'm totally fine to admit that, he's amazing. I'm sitting in, it's actually, like, we're filming season three, uh, we took a break for this, and we're going right back after Christmas, but, I'm, I, a lot of my, because Lea's, you know... Not present for a lot of it. So I'm, you know, most of the time it's just me, Olive and Levi. Olive plays Bianca in the school, in the school trailer. And I'm the one that's like disturbing everything and I'm not doing any work. I feel like they're, you know, more mature than I am.

• 8:39Josh Horowitz?

Impossible, though I do appreciate, and I know you've talked about this. I want you to feel more comfortable because I, a very elder man, do not have a driver's license locker.

• 8:51Speaker 02

Every single time, every single time.

• 8:54Josh Horowitz?

  I'm sorry.

• 8:55Speaker 02

No, you know what? It's endearing, it's nice.

• 8:58Josh Horowitz?

It's, it's, it's good. Who needs a driver's license when you have Uber?

• 9:02Speaker 02

That's, no, exactly. And also, let's, I mean, okay, who actually knows how to parallel park perfect every time? I don't know anybody.

• 9:11Josh Horowitz?

No one I want to hang out with, right?

• 9:14Speaker 02

No, I agree with that. The best drivers fail once or twice.

• 9:18Josh Horowitz?

It builds character. Maybe we should take our driver course together. Maybe we should both get our license together.

• 9:25Speaker 02

That's the first thing I'm doing when I get home. I'm doing that and then I'm going to bed for a couple of days.

• 9:28Josh Horowitz?

Right. Is it, is it weird though? Like you've had this experience a few times when you're doing press, when you're already in the middle of something. Like you're in the middle of season three right now. So is your, are you ready for both the holiday break, but also to get back to set? Because that's, that's really where you're, you're having fun, right? Making the show.

• 9:44Speaker 02

No, totally. I mean, like even like hearing you guys just now after episode four. Did you like episode four?

• 9:52Speaker 02

That's my favorite episode, definitely by far. I just, I actually watched that this morning. And I haven't, like I, that was, I, I was just imagining all that and actually seeing that, it looked insane. But yeah, no, all I want to talk about is like season three, because we're in the middle of filming it. And all I want to do is get back and like hearing that makes me want to like get back to work, you know?

• 10:15Josh Horowitz?

So it has been, correct me if I'm wrong, right, in the, in the timeline. I think it's almost exactly four years since you were cast. It was January 2022. Do I have that right?

• 10:24Speaker 02

  Yeah.

• 10:25Josh Horowitz?

  You got the news?

• 10:26Speaker 02

Oh my God. It's been four years. I'm already, yeah, I'm older than, the prophecy already happened for me.

• 10:35Josh Horowitz?

Does it feel like four years? Does it feel like yesterday? I mean, when I say that, that seemed to blow your mind when I said that.

• 10:41Speaker 02

I haven't thought about that at all. Because I always just think about like when we were filming season one and I was like, you know, I was almost 14 at that time, so that is weird to think about. I'm gonna be like 40 years old by the time this is over and Logan Lerman's still gonna be young enough to play Percy Jackson.

• 10:59Josh Horowitz?

Is there anything you wish you'd known back on day one? Now that you're knee-deep in season three, you've done the press gauntlet a few times. Talk to young, innocent Walker on that first season.

• 11:11Speaker 02

I don't think I've learned that much since then. I feel like the same guy. Whether that's a good thing or a bad thing.

• 11:19Josh Horowitz?

Take me back a little bit. When you auditioned, do you remember in the room knowing that you had a beat on this character? Did you have a sense that this might pan out?

• 11:30Speaker 02

Well, it was weird because I auditioned for that during The Adam Project when we were filming that. And then we, you know, I got pinned. I heard I got pinned and then I didn't hear anything. It was in January. And then they, you know, called me back up early December, which was like an entire year. And then I got a couple more calls and it was, this was like, I got cast completely just from like Zoom calls, just from my home.

• 11:56Speaker 02

So I guess in a way it was a bit of a gamble for them. They'd never seen me before. The first time they saw me was when I was doing the chem reads with Lea.

• 12:04Josh Horowitz?

  Oh, wow.

• 12:06Speaker 02

  Yeah, that February.

• 12:07Josh Horowitz?

So had you been already cast when they started to bring in Ari and Lea? You had already been cast as Percy?

• 12:12Speaker 02

  Mm-hmm. Yeah.

• 12:14Josh Horowitz?

That must have been interesting. Like, do you remember then your perspective on, because like, like, did they ask your opinion when like actors were coming through?

• 12:23Speaker 02

Yeah, kind of. They would, I mean, you know, I feel like you can kind of just see right away who is chemistry and I feel like, you know, Ari and Lea and I just kind of... It almost felt like our audition, like their audition scenes went the fastest because we just clicked right away and there wasn't like, I don't know, sometimes when it's not clicking, it feels like it's taking a really long time, like the scene is like dragging on, but it felt like the scenes happened really fast. And I don't know, I just, you could just kind of feel it. Um, I wasn't too sure about Arian at first, I'm still not. So maybe at the end of the season, he'll prove to me.

• 12:57Josh Horowitz?

Right. We should say, Walker insisted on Arian not being here tonight. It was initially going to be everybody.

• 13:02Speaker 02

Oh, he's still here. He's still here. He just...

• 13:04Josh Horowitz?

He locked him in a closet back there. The poor guy.

• 13:06Speaker 02

Oh, yeah. Yeah. I did, I came out here, there was a curtain and I shoved his chair off the side.

• 14:51Josh Horowitz?

I'm trying to earn brownie points with my nieces tonight. So Sadie and Sienna want to know, how was shooting season two different than season one? Biggest difference for you?

• 15:01Speaker 02

Biggest difference? I think there was a lot more action. It felt like, I don't know, season one it was just Ari and Leah and I the whole time. So it was, you know, we were in all these different places together. This season it felt like Charlie was there almost the entire time. Dior was there almost the entire time. We had Daniel, who fit in perfectly. And I feel so bad when I'm watching all these... Like, he just looks so cute on screen. Not that he's not cute in real life.

• 15:31Josh Horowitz?

  I don't know.

• 15:32Speaker 02

Yeah, no, definitely, I mean, he is. But, no, but even like, it was hard for me to be mean to him when we were filming a lot of these scenes. But now like, watching it back with like, the eye, he's just like, it makes me feel even worse. I go to bed feeling horrible every night.

• 15:48Josh Horowitz?

What did that look like on set? Does he have like, anything up to here?

• 15:53Speaker 02

He's just like, they didn't put any dots or like, anything. He doesn't have to act a certain way. He just, it's just all him. And it really, like, it came together perfectly. And his posture, the way he walks, I was watching it earlier, I was like, laughing at the scene where he goes to like, check in the boiler room and he does that like, waddle away. Actually, he was doing, I can't remember. I'm gonna make fun of him a little bit, but there was this one day where like, at the beginning, the very first episode, we're running away from Les Stragonians. And he's doing this like, half jog thing. And halfway through the rehearsal, they told him to stop doing the Tyson run. And he walked over to me and he's like, "I was just running."

• 16:38Josh Horowitz?

I will say, and I heard you say before I saw this episode, that like, this was a standout episode for you. And now I see why. How epic was episode four, guys? Like, it's pretty...

• 16:54Josh Horowitz?

Did you have a sense of how it would turn out? I mean, obviously, that's a lot of water, Walker. That's a lot of water. Did it blow your mind being on set? Did it blow your mind seeing the finished product? Can we have a sense of your perspective on this episode in particular?

• 17:09Speaker 02

I mean, the whole ironclad sequence, like this, all this stuff was like, I mean, just watching them build the ironclad, because, you know, it's all on the same stage, was just incredible. And so we filmed a lot of the stuff before we get pulled into, like, Charybdis's pole. You know, they built out the ironclad, and then we took a break from filming for a week. In that week, they took apart the ironclad completely, like, every little piece, and they tilted it eight degrees, and they put it all back together, just for that, like, one sequence where I'm running and people are getting pulled out around me, and for when I stand up and like, try to, you know, I guess slingshot the ironclad out the other side.

• 17:51Josh Horowitz?

I mean, when I've talked to actors over the years, like, generally speaking, the thing they dread most are water scenes. It's tough, right? I mean, it's like, amazing, I mean, obviously, it's worth it, but, like, how many days, how many weeks are you drenched for this episode?

• 18:07Speaker 02

I mean, we filmed this for like, that was probably five, you know, it wasn't as bad as season one, it was probably about five full days, but, I mean, even while filming it, like, I was like, this better look amazing, because they're shooting like, a thousand psi water into my face. But no, yeah, it was, it looks incredible, I mean, I was like shocked when I was watching it earlier. Just like, the whole scene of the ironclad being like, taken apart in midair, that's like, like, we just imagined that on the day. And also, like, watching back, sometimes, I'm like, I feel like if I knew that's what it looked like, I would have looked a lot more terrified. I was like weirdly stoic during that, not to like...

• 18:52Josh Horowitz?

No, but it works. I mean, you look pretty darned cool in that sequence. I mean, standing on the bow, like, that must be, that's like, you know, that's superhero mode. That's like, that's pretty epic to see the finished product. Do you remember seeing it when they sent you the dailies, or you saw the finished product and saying like, "Oh my god."

• 19:10Speaker 02

This was the first time I saw, the only thing I ever got sent, like, from, like, I guess dailies-wise, was the video of me doing the Titanic thing with Daniel.

• 19:20Speaker 02

But, no, this is, I'm actually, I kind of liked that I saw it the same night that you guys did, because, I don't know, I was, I'm really, I was really looking forward to this episode and I'm really happy with how it turned out. And that whole fight, the single combat thing with Clarisse, I liked the way that turned out. Yeah.

• 19:37Josh Horowitz?

Do you take pride in fight choreography? How, has that evolved? Are you good at, are you the best in the cast, you think, at fight choreo? Or who is?

• 19:46Speaker 02

I think I'm the best in the cast at looking like I don't know what I'm doing while I'm fighting.

• 19:51Josh Horowitz?

  Well, that helps, that's...

• 19:52Speaker 02

It does really help, and I'm really good at that.

• 19:56Speaker 02

It just comes really naturally for some reason. But, no, I think, you know, I would think, I think Dior does a really good job. She's amazing.

• 20:05Josh Horowitz?

And she has to look confident. She has to look like she's on it.

• 20:09Speaker 02

Yeah, and I just have to fumble around, and I do that perfectly, I think. But no, it's, it is like a progression, and I feel like I'm kind of naturally, like, it was a big break between seasons one and two, and I grew a lot, and I was, like, when I got there, it was like, that stuff just came naturally, because I was so, like, lanky. I hadn't, like, moved in, like, years. So doing those fights, it just kind of, kind of matched up with season two, and, you know, in the book he says he's rusty, and I was definitely rusty while filming those scenes.

• 20:41Josh Horowitz?

By season six, you're gonna be like nine feet tall. It's just, at this exponential rate.

• 20:45Speaker 02

I hope so, yeah. That'd be amazing.

• 20:47Josh Horowitz?

How are you at running away from explosions? This is the mark of any true action star. You get to do that, I think, in this episode.

• 20:53Speaker 02

I'm getting really good at that. Not to, that's the only compliment I'll give myself. I'm really good at running away from explosions.

• 21:00Speaker 02

But no, yeah, and Daniel is too. It's, it's, that...

• 21:03Josh Horowitz?

What's the key? What's the, if you were teaching a masterclass in how to run away from an explosion?

• 21:09Speaker 02

I'm gonna give, you know what, I have to give all the credit to the first ADs because normally they'll have a big mic and there'll be speakers like this and, you know, normally they talk about like, they talk at this volume and then they kind of just try to catch you off guard so then they'll just go boom, like super loudly into the mic. So you just kind of can't expect it, I guess.

• 21:32Josh Horowitz?

And what about in terms of reactions? Reaction to a monster that's not there? What's the do's and don'ts? What's the right way to react to some epic monster? That's actually not there? What's the wrong way to do it?

• 21:45Speaker 02

I think you just kind of have to go over the top.

• 21:48Josh Horowitz?

  Go extreme.

• 21:48Speaker 02

  Oh yeah.

• 21:49Josh Horowitz?

  Don't go subtle.

• 21:50Speaker 02

I feel like it's so much easier to like, I don't know, make it look like you're less scared on camera than it is to make it look like you're more scared than you actually were on the day. So I think, you know, it's always, you should always just go over the top because, you know, and also you never know what it's gonna look like. I mean, sometimes we're like terrified of these like random little things that end up not being that scary.

• 22:12Josh Horowitz?

  Right.

• 22:12Speaker 02

And then there'll be like a giant ironclad sequence, whatever, and I'm, you know.

• 22:17Josh Horowitz?

  Too cool for school.

• 22:18Speaker 02

Too cool for school. I mean, I guess, I was kind of terrified, the, because they had the, they had like four cameras in these cranes and they were just swinging them around like, all of us, like, you know, with different people being pulled in different directions, all these like amazing stunt guys just being like, like, there's a bunch of pads all around the ship and they would have all these people on their line and they'd be walking on the ship and then this dude next to him would just be like bam, on the line and they'd just get like ripped off the side. It's terrifying to watch.

• 22:46Josh Horowitz?

Stunt you're proudest to have nailed, whether it's in season one, two, or if you want to hint at something in three?

• 22:54Speaker 02

I think, I'm gonna hint at something in three.

• 22:58Speaker 02

I had this awesome, it was the end of the day and I, how do I say this without spoiling anything? I was fighting this person and, and I'm running away from them and they grab like something on my back and then I, like, kind of, my feet go up in the air and I flat back it. And they weren't like, you know, they didn't really want me to do it because, you know, safety or something. Exactly. And, um...

• 23:28Speaker 02

It was the end of the day, so I was like, "Okay, it's the last take, I'll just do it." And, you know, my stunt double, I'd been doing it like, the entire day. And I was like, "He gets to do it this entire time, and it looks like, he looks totally fine when he gets up." And so I sprinted in the other direction, they grabbed my back, and then I land like, flat on my back. And I got up and I ran around, they're like, "Dude, that was awesome." And everyone like, started clapping, and I was like, "That's why they don't want me to do it." It like, completely knocked the wind out of me, was not prepared for it. But it ended up looking really good, so I hope they keep it in.

• 24:02Josh Horowitz?

Have you learned your lesson? Does that mean you're gonna do less going forward, or are you gonna keep asking for more?

• 24:06Speaker 02

  I kinda wanna do more. I don't know. It's a weird thrill, I don't know.

• 24:10Josh Horowitz?

Have friends, fellow actors angled to get on the show? Basically what I'm asking is, Mason Thame's gonna be on Percy Jackson at some point?

• 24:20Speaker 02

I would like him to be, I mean, I think that'd be awesome.

• 24:23Josh Horowitz?

Who does he play? Let's cast him, what do you got?

• 24:26Speaker 02

That's what I'm trying to, maybe he could be...

• 24:30Speaker 02

Who do you guys think he should be?

• 24:34Speaker 02

Rachel, yeah, Rachel's perfect, I like that. He could be Rachel.

• 24:39Speaker 02

But no, yeah, that would be great. I think, you know, the goal is to try to get as many like, I don't know, friend actors on the show as possible, cuz I think it's just so fun. And like, you know, the entire cast, like, we're already such good friends. It'll be so fun to just add more people that we're already all friends with, to just hang out with, you know?

• 24:58Josh Horowitz?

Like, so how do you know someone like that? Like, were you up for the same roles? Like, is it just like, when you're of a certain age and you're doing the thing, you run into them?

• 25:06Speaker 02

It's weird because it happens in the weirdest ways. I mean, I guess with Mason, like, both of us, like, you know, we'd be like, swiping up on stories, being like, "Dude, like, looks awesome." And one day I was like, you know, it was the new Fortnite season, this was like, December, this is after I got back from the Season 1 press tour, and I was like, "You wanna play Fortnite?", and he was like, "Yeah." And that's how it all started. But no, with like, other people, like, you know, you'll just run into them somewhere, and you'll just happen to get along really well, and then that just kind of, you know, kicks everything off, and it's just random. Everyone, everyone knows everyone, it's super weird.

• 25:40Josh Horowitz?

Since we have the luxury of time, I wanna talk a little bit about what you're a fan of. Because I know, I've heard you talk about this a bit, and you have good taste. Growing up... Marvel, DC, Star Wars, everything, like all the above, like rank them, give me like your top franchises, the things you were really into when you were a little kid.

• 25:57Speaker 02

Marvel was like, maybe, like that was, that was like my thing. There was a point where like, I could tell you, I mean, I don't know, I haven't been, I've been a little busy recently, but I got it when I, you know.

• 26:10Josh Horowitz?

With what? What have you been do- oh yeah, the show.

• 26:12Speaker 02

Just the show. When I rap, I will, you know, I have to catch up, but uh, no, yeah, Marvel was like the big one when I was a kid, that was, you know, it was that, and then it was like, specifically like Green Lantern, um, from DC, and uh, I was really into The Flash show, like Grant Gustin, awesome, I hope he plays The Flash again.

• 26:38Speaker 02

But yeah, no, I've just like Spider-Man was like, that was my guy, forever.

• 26:41Josh Horowitz?

And which Spider-Man is your actor is your guy specifically?

• 26:45Speaker 02

I grew up watching Andrew Garfield.

• 26:50Speaker 02

And I think he's, I don't know, I'm like, extremely excited for Brand New Day though.

• 26:55Josh Horowitz?

  Yes.

• 26:56Speaker 02

And, I don't know, I feel like, I don't know, again, I love Tobey Maguire, but like Andrew is like, it's just, it's like nostalgic for me, because like, that was like the, those came out, you know, when I was growing up, uh, so, but I don't know, Tom is like, Tom Holland's looking really good, like I'm, I'm, I'm really excited for, uh, Brand New Day, and I love how they're going with like the classic Spider-Man, like, uh, you know, I guess, this classic, like catching robbers and stuff like that.

• 27:27Josh Horowitz?

Right, back to basics, kinda street level stuff, right?

• 27:29Speaker 02

  Exactly, yeah.

• 27:31Josh Horowitz?

At what point then, working with Ryan Reynolds, do you bring up Green Lantern? Cause he has mixed feelings, like that's not necessarily, he doesn't look back at that film as the high point of his career.

• 27:41Speaker 02

I think, I don't know, I think he, he likes talking about it the same way that I like talking about failing my driver's test. Like, I think it's, I think it's pretty hilarious. I'm not too happy about it. But it's also like, it gives me something to talk about and it's like, it's, it's like, it's, I don't know. It's, the best drivers fail once or twice, like I said. Right. Uh, but no, I- And the best actors have a film or two that doesn't work. Exactly. And I think, you know, in my opinion, I loved him as Green Lantern. He was like my, like, I mean, we haven't seen too many Green Lanterns, but- Yeah. I loved that movie. And, you know, ever since I was a kid, I've loved it. I had a Green Lantern themed birthday party. What does that entail? Are you dressed as Green Lantern or just?

• 28:25Speaker 02

No, I mean, I had a Green Lantern shirt on and then I had a ring- That counts. And then I gave rings to other people. Nice. And I had a Green Lantern cake.

• 28:34Speaker 02

But yeah, I, I don't know. I, I kind of immediately brought up that, uh, whether that's a good thing or a bad thing. And, I don't know. It was, the first day I met him, we were doing, cause we had to quarantine, it was during COVID. Right. So we quarantined for two weeks. Uh, I did a chem read with him, but, um, that was the last time I saw him. And so we did like, you know, we did a rehearsal on like a Sunday or something for the one scene we were doing. And he was just like, immediately like, took me under his wing. And I feel like, I, I feel like I learned so much on that. I, I definitely wouldn't be here if it wasn't for him and Sean and, and Mark and Jen. Which is like insane because the reason I got into acting was because I loved Marvel. And then I immediately got to work with like,

• 29:20Speaker 02

all the Marvel people. Literally. Everyone you just mentioned. Exactly. And Sean's directed, he directed Deadpool 3, and now he's directing like Star Wars. Did you get a visit to the set? Do you have any inside intel on the new Star Wars film? I don't, but I, I tried to get Stranger Things intel, but he wouldn't give me anything. What? I'm, but I'm kind of fine with that. I wanted to, just keep it a secret. I'm nervous for this, for volume two.

• 29:47Speaker 02

  It's really stressing me out.

• 29:48Josh Horowitz?

Yeah, they keep talking up the finale, like the finale is gonna be epic. Does epic mean casualties? Like what's going, you know?

• 29:56Speaker 02

I just hope that everybody lives happily ever after. That's what I hope happens.

• 30:04Josh Horowitz?

How many superhero auditions have you had in your young career?

• 30:08Speaker 02

  I haven't had any yet.

• 30:09Josh Horowitz?

  Literally?

• 30:09Speaker 02

  I guess this counts.

• 30:11Josh Horowitz?

  Sure.

• 30:11Speaker 02

  Right?

• 30:11Josh Horowitz?

Besides Percy. Yeah, Percy's a superhero, but that surprises me, given this day and age and how much is being made. Is that something you're, kind of, if the right thing comes, like what's your attitude about that as a fan?

• 30:25Speaker 02

  As a fan, it's like, I don't know, sometimes it's like...

• 30:30Speaker 02

It's difficult because I don't wanna like ruin anything for myself. You know what I mean? Like, even like Percy Jackson, like I still watch the show and I still love it, but I'm like... It's really hard to like just look at my face all the time on screen, you know what I mean?

• 30:44Josh Horowitz?

Yeah, everybody here agrees, we are sick of looking at your face on screen.

• 30:47Speaker 02

I'm getting real tired of it. But no, it is like, you know, it's... I wanna watch it and enjoy it as a fan, so it's like, if the right thing comes along, that's like I would be 100% on board, but like, I don't know, I think I also wanna like experience it as a fan, you know?

• 31:44Speaker 06

• 32:32Josh Horowitz?

The last time you guys were up here, I remember, you were pretty bold in saying, basically, Percy Jackson versus Harry Potter in a fight, it's not even a contest. Give me a break, basically. You just missed it.

• 32:42Speaker 02

  Yeah.

• 32:45Josh Horowitz?

I'm just curious, like, when you were growing up before this all happened, were you reading both? Like, were you, if I had asked you at 10 years old, "Do you prefer Percy or Harry Potter?" What would you have said?

• 32:55Speaker 02

Would have said the same exact thing.

• 32:56Josh Horowitz?

  You would have said Percy?

• 32:58Speaker 02

Oh, 100%, 100%. I think, I don't know, I just think with Percy, at least, you know, I feel like there's just a lot more to relate to. But then again, I feel like there's so many people that relate to Harry Potter. But he, I really hope one day we can, I really want to meet the cast from the movies. Also, the cast from the show, I'm really excited to see how that works out.

• 33:19Josh Horowitz?

Yeah, yeah, well, yeah. I mean, it's one thing to talk about beating up Daniel Radcliffe like an adult guy, but now talking about beating up a 12-year-old kid, Walker.

• 33:27Speaker 02

  Yeah.

• 33:28Josh Horowitz?

That's not cool. You can't say that.

• 33:30Speaker 02

Well, technically, I'm still 12 in the show.

• 33:35Josh Horowitz?

I want to manifest new work for you. So you've played one iconic screen character. I'm gonna give you some iconic characters and lines. Can you give me your best shot at some of these lines and see how they go?

• 33:47Speaker 02

  Let's do it.

• 33:47Josh Horowitz?

Okay, here we go. One at a time. This is it, a lot riding on this.

• 33:53Speaker 02

"With great power comes great responsibility." I like that one, that's pretty solid.

• 33:58Josh Horowitz?

That's Spider-Man for you, here we go. Now, I need a growl here, I need like a little gutter.

• 34:01Speaker 02

Oh no. I can't do this, wait, okay, so do you want...

• 34:06Speaker 02

You want Christian Bale Batman, do you want Robert Pattinson?

• 34:09Josh Horowitz?

It's up to you, it's up to you.

• 34:13Speaker 02

  I'll do Robert Pattinson.

• 34:17Speaker 02

Get it, 'cause you can hear me.

• 34:20Speaker 02

Which, by the way, that wasn't a hit on that at all, just because it's... That, I'm so excited for the Batman 2.

• 34:25Josh Horowitz?

I love those movies, yeah, yeah, yeah. Matt Reeves, amazing director.

• 34:28Speaker 02

Also, what are they gonna do for DC, the new DCU Batman?

• 34:32Josh Horowitz?

Yeah, they're gonna do another Batman, it sounds like, Brave and the Bold.

• 34:36Speaker 02

  Nervous.

• 34:36Josh Horowitz?

  Who's your Bat...

• 34:37Speaker 02

He's a Batman. I liked, you know what, I liked Brendan Sklinar.

• 34:42Josh Horowitz?

He wants to play it, what do you think?

• 34:44Speaker 02

I feel like, I feel like he's a great pick, I feel like he's a great pick. But I don't know, we kind of... We've had so many great Batmans, I feel like, at this point, like, I don't know. There's... I mean, we kind of have like, you know, Ben Affleck's, like, the really big Batman.

• 34:58Josh Horowitz?

  Yup.

• 34:59Speaker 02

Christian Bale, like, the really dark and, and I guess like, kind of...

• 35:03Josh Horowitz?

  Yup.

• 35:04Speaker 02

You know, he's kind of a mix between like, Robert Pattinson and like, Michael Keaton.

• 35:08Josh Horowitz?

Pattinson's like the extreme of brooding, right?

• 35:09Speaker 02

  Totally.

• 35:10Josh Horowitz?

Total extreme. Keaton's a little kinda like, odd, like, a little crazy.

• 35:14Speaker 02

Yeah, and then, yeah, I don't know.

• 35:16Josh Horowitz?

  And then Paul Clooney.

• 35:17Speaker 02

I just want them to do the blue and gray suit. That's like my favorite Batman suit, so...

• 35:22Josh Horowitz?

One more for you, I don't know how your British accent is.

• 35:25Speaker 02

  Oh. It's not good.

• 35:29Speaker 02

I actually just watched all the James Bond movies, so...

• 35:34Josh Horowitz?

  So you're ready?

• 35:34Speaker 02

  James Bond. James Bond.

• 35:39Speaker 02

Did a pretty good job, actually.

• 35:40Josh Horowitz?

  Not bad, not bad.

• 35:42Speaker 02

Also, yeah, they're doing a new James Bond series, too.

• 35:45Josh Horowitz?

I know, they're casting that, too. Lot going on, man.

• 35:48Speaker 02

I know, I kinda want Callum Turner.

• 35:51Josh Horowitz?

  He's the favorite, supposedly, now.

• 35:53Speaker 02

I don't know. I don't know, I just gotta... Or him, or like, completely unknown. Yeah, I don't know.

• 36:00Josh Horowitz?

  This is our new show.

• 36:01Speaker 02

  Or Danson Idris.

• 36:03Josh Horowitz?

I would be happy to talk movie rumors with you every day. Let's just make this a new show, okay?

• 36:07Speaker 02

  True.

• 36:07Josh Horowitz?

Um, let's talk about the aspect... I'm gonna go to some of your fan questions you've sent in a lot, so thank you for that, guys. Um, like, handling all the craziness around this show. I mean, nothing can prepare, like, even like, 35-year-olds for the level of success and fame you've had. Did anybody adequately kind of convey to you what this was gonna be like when you signed on to be Percy? In terms of that kind of reception and just the kind of love you receive?

• 36:33Speaker 02

I feel like there's not really like a way that you can prepare for it, you know? Just because it's so different every time. And I think, I just kind of watched a lot of interviews of like, Daniel Radcliffe, talking about it. And Logan Lerman gave me some advice, which was amazing.

• 36:51Speaker 02

But yeah, I got a lot of good advice from different people, and, yeah.

• 36:55Josh Horowitz?

Is there any advice that you can share without violating anything that's been useful for you?

• 36:59Speaker 02

I think, uh, Logan told me, he said, just like, enjoy it. Like, enjoy, you know, the process. And I feel like, you know, season one, I was enjoying it the whole time. But I was so focused on, you know, trying to get it right, that I wasn't, you know, trying to, like, I guess, enjoy it. Uh, so now, it's like, you know, when I was going into season two, I was like, "I'm really gonna appreciate every moment of it." And I did, and it was just so much fun. Uh, and I'm doing that right now for season three. So it's, yeah, no, it is, it's a lot of fun. It's a lot of fun, especially like, I don't know, there's a lot of days. There's always gonna be days where like, it's the middle of winter and you're soaking wet outside for some reason.

• 37:44Speaker 02

But I feel like, you just gotta find what's like, I don't know, fun or like hilarious in it. Uh, and especially like, that's why I have Orion. Like, he, he really makes me feel, uh...

• 37:55Speaker 02

You know, he makes fun of me a lot in those ways. In like a, in a really nice way. He like, Aryan and I feel like, I really like, and Leah is the same thing. We're all just kind of, we just kind of make jokes, uh, when it would not be a good time to make a joke. And I feel like that's what really makes my day.

• 38:13Josh Horowitz?

When you're, when you are recognized, you're at a Starbucks, you were ever at a restaurant, does a fan ever like literally just scream if they recognize you, like they just like instantly see you? Like, how big does the reaction get?

• 38:25Speaker 02

The biggest one so far, uh, was actually, I was in Ocean City. I was on the boardwalk and there was like, have you ever been to Ocean City Boardwalk? It's like crowded. There's like a ton of like, like high schoolers, like that age range or like middle school, high school. I got like swarmed and there were like screams. And I had to like, I felt like I was such a, I don't know, like a prick. But I was like, please, like guys, like just please, like we're being really like, it's, it's, it's getting, because it started like attracting people who didn't know who I was. And I was taking pictures and they'd be like, what, like, so what do you do? And I was like, oh no.

• 39:03Josh Horowitz?

Yeah. Once you get to the point of like people just wanting photos and not even realizing why they want a photo, then you've gone, it's getting serious.

• 39:10Speaker 02

  Yeah.

• 39:11Josh Horowitz?

Um, so you're on TikTok, but you're not really on TikTok. I checked your TikTok. You've posted twice. So you're really laboring over the next post. You're really thinking it over. You're like, what's it gonna be?

• 39:24Speaker 02

It took me a while for like even Instagram, like I just posted something recently. It's pretty like, I was, I mean, it was a pretty big deal for me to like, you know, sit down and like, put things together and like, I don't know. It's, I don't know why it's so difficult for me to do this. Uh, I guess this is the one thing that I was never prepared for, was having to post all the time. And I feel like, yeah, I've been thinking about, I was thinking about making a post, um, possibly after I get my driver's license.

• 39:52Josh Horowitz?

  It's a big if.

• 39:53Speaker 02

  Yeah, a big if.

• 39:56Speaker 02

If it happens. But yeah, or just posting a picture of like my perfect parallel parking job.

• 40:01Josh Horowitz?

There you go. Do you, you must be plugged in though. I mean, do you get friends and family sending you like fan edits, memes, the latest, like everything and anything?

• 40:10Speaker 02

I, yeah, I think, well, I have, I have a lot of cousins on my mom's side. Uh, so I think every year when I go there, they have like new stories of, you know, different encounters they had at like college or like school. Where like they would hear people talk about it and even like, you know, I have really little cousins and they still can't like wrap their heads around it. And they, they all love like Percy Jackson. So they're like, you know, I'll be talking to them and I'll be like, you know, their mom will tell them like, this is, you know, he's, he's Percy. You watched him. And they just say, no. Like he's not, they just, this, I actually had a really weird interaction. I've never talked about this. I had an interaction on Halloween during season two,

• 40:54Speaker 02

where I was at my friend's house handing out candy. And uh, these two kids came up and they're both in Camp Athlete t-shirts. And I was like, oh, like, who are you guys? And they were like, oh, I'm like, we're Percy and Annabeth. And I was like, oh, like, that's really cool. Actually, uh, you guys want to hear something cool? And they were like, yeah. And I was like, I'm Percy Jackson. And like this, the little boy was like, no, you're not. It was like the first thing he said. So I, I shut the door so fast. No candy.

• 41:24Josh Horowitz?

There's a lesson there. Don't even try. Don't even like, by the way, Percy Jackson here. Uh, I don't think so.

• 41:31Speaker 02

  I don't know. Yeah. I don't even know why I was, why I felt.

• 41:34Josh Horowitz?

It felt like a sweet thing. It was, it was, you had good intentions.

• 41:37Speaker 02

I did. I also had, I've had a lot of weird, I'm sorry, I'm keep dragging on about this. They keep coming back to my mind and I need to get them out.

• 41:44Josh Horowitz?

  Lie back.

• 41:45Speaker 02

At, they opened a crumble cookie where I live. And this kid like stopped me at the door. And it was, it's like a super crowded, like it first opened up line like down the street. And I was walking out and I was like, uh, this kid stopped me in like the doorway. So we were blocking everybody and he was like, wait, like, are you Percy Jackson? I was like, yeah. And he just stared at me. And it was like, it probably, maybe like 30, 30, 40 seconds. And I was like, okay, like, I need to move this, I need to move this along. I don't want him to like walk away from this, maybe like regretting not asking for a picture, even though it feels weird to ask him if he wants a picture with me. So I was like, you know, do you want a picture? And he went, no.

• 42:28Speaker 02

And so I, I turned around and I sprinted to the car.

• 42:33Josh Horowitz?

Did you, did you get your cookie?

• 42:36Speaker 02

  I did.

• 42:36Josh Horowitz?

  Okay, good, good.

• 42:37Speaker 02

I wasn't, so I kind of evened it out.

• 42:41Josh Horowitz?

  Wow.

• 42:42Speaker 02

  There's a lot of these.

• 42:43Josh Horowitz?

  Snapshot into your life, fascinating.

• 42:46Speaker 02

Yeah, these are like stuck. I think about these all the time.

• 42:49Josh Horowitz?

So they just saw episode four. I've been privileged enough to see the first seven. It's awesome. Sorry.

• 42:57Josh Horowitz?

It's really great. I haven't seen eight yet. Give us a little sense of what you're excited for fans to see. First on this season, then we're gonna tease season three, which I know is even harder. But the rest of this season, what are you excited for fans to see?

• 43:09Speaker 02

I think it perfectly sets up season three.

• 43:15Speaker 02

I don't know, episode seven and eight just kind of take it in a different direction, which I really love for the next, you know, three books in the series. Because, you know, episodes, or books one and two are kind of like a really big introduction. And I feel like once you start to get into like, you know, the great prophecy and dealing with all that kind of stuff like we are right now, and, well, I mean, us filming season three.

• 43:40Speaker 02

It just kind of, you know, it's a completely different level. And, yeah, I don't know, I think it, I think it just, like I said, it takes it, just goes in a different direction, it's a little bit darker.

• 43:51Josh Horowitz?

Is the vibe on set season three different? Or the, are the sets standing out to you? Like what's, if we were visiting you, would we sense a different kind of vibe on set of season three versus the first two?

• 44:04Speaker 02

Oh, definitely. I mean, I feel like even season two was just like a... I feel like when, season three, Lea's not there, you know, or, uh, the book's been out for a long time.

• 44:17Josh Horowitz?

  There are books? What?

• 44:20Speaker 02

But, you know, and with this season, Ariane not being there a ton, it's like, it's the same thing. It's like you're just missing a guy, or you're missing a person. And so it's like, I don't know, it just feels different. It feels like something's missing, but it's still, you know, great. I get to hang out with Ariane all the time and, um, T, who plays Thalia, um, who was amazing in this episode. And, yeah. And, uh, Sarah, who plays Zoe, who's, you haven't seen her yet, but she's perfect. I think it's a really, and then obviously Olive, for a good chunk of the quest.

• 44:57Speaker 02

She did an amazing job. Um, yeah.

Is there a, in the illustrious, you know, adult cast, you know, the, the luminaries like Lynn, et cetera. Is there, is there an actor that's made you a better actor to act opposite? That stands out to you? Like, I'm in a scene with Rosemary, Rosemary DeWitt, Lynn Menwell Miranda. Like, what's a moment on set where you're like, oh wow, they're, they're raising my game by being so great?

• 45:23Speaker 02

I definitely, someone I'm better with. I feel like, I don't know, I feel like I always have to step my game up when I'm, uh, working with Adam Copeland. Uh, that guy, yeah, he just, my favorite thing, and you know, this goes for every single guest star that we've ever had on Percy. They all come in and they just go like full confidence into everything. And I feel like, even like, you know, I've known all, the entire crew for like, three years. And I still feel like uncomfortable screaming around them. And that's like, that's what I do all the time. Uh, but they come in and they just kind of make, uh, these big offers and it works out perfectly. And it's like, that just, you know, every single one of them.

• 46:05Speaker 02

The, the only person that I feel like I get worse with. In the best way is Jason Manzoukas. Because I'm having such a hard time trying to like not laugh. That I feel like I'm just like, it's just, there's been a couple of people like that, specifically Jason though where, and Timothy Simmons. I was gonna say, yeah, Tim's very funny. He's like, their improv together is like, I don't even know, like, there's a reason that you don't see my face a lot in those scenes. It's because Lea and I are trying not to like, because sometimes like, even if you try to like, you know, they'll improv a lot, if you try to like,

• 46:43Speaker 02

I don't know, sneak a line in there, it's like, it just turns back on you and there's just, you're just never gonna be smart enough to keep up. At least I'm not. No, Manzoukas is like, the best improv guy on the planet. Oh yeah. So, that's, that's tough. Little, uh, season three teaser. Levi actually is like, the only person I've ever seen that's been able to like, match that. You know, I know that sounds weird, but he is like, he just completely, I don't even know how to explain it, he's just... How old is Levi? He's like, he's thirteen. Wow. Less cool Levi, right here. Yeah, I know.

Um, we end every Happy Second Fuse podcast with the profoundly random questionnaire. You ready, Walker? Some rapid fire for you. Ready. Dogs or cats? I feel bad, I mean, I guess I'm gonna say dog. It's okay, you can, you can still like it. No, but I like cats, I love cats. Okay. What do you collect, if anything? What do you got?

• 47:47Speaker 02

Do you keep anything? It's something I used to collect, I used to have a lot of like, um, I have like a screen accurate Spider-Man costume. Really? Yeah, I do. It doesn't fit me anymore, I don't know why I bought it.

• 48:01Speaker 02

But I have it. Just in case, you have to fight crime, yeah. I have a lot of weird like, movie weapons. I have a lot of katanas. Like memorabilia from like, like actual memorabilia, or like replicas of like? Just like replicas and like, not like, not total, I, I have a, I actually, I have a couple like, Demon Slayer katanas. Cause me and my brother used to go play like, uh, Fruit Ninja. Don't do that, it's like way heavier than you'd think it'd be when you're swinging it.

• 48:25Speaker 02

What's your favorite video game of all time?

• 48:29Speaker 02

  Ghosts of Tsushima was awesome.

• 48:33Speaker 02

  Spider-Man 2.

• 48:38Speaker 02

  I can't pick a favorite.

• 48:39Josh Horowitz?

What's the most time sucked out of your life? What game is?

• 48:42Speaker 02

Definitely Fortnite or Minecraft. I, yeah, I've spent way too much time on Fortnite and, uh, I also think, Orion and I spent, on season one, we were really into Sea of Thieves. And that was, yeah, I, I spent a lot more time than I should have on that, too.

• 49:01Josh Horowitz?

What's the wallpaper on your phone?

• 49:06Speaker 02

Uh, this, I think it's, I think it's like a, just the sky, like the weather, the current weather.

• 49:13Josh Horowitz?

The current weather is on my phone?

• 49:14Speaker 02

You know what, it was actually Orion for a little bit. Really horrible picture of Orion, but...

• 49:18Josh Horowitz?

  A happy photo of him?

• 49:20Speaker 02

  Not a good picture.

• 49:21Josh Horowitz?

  Not a good picture.

• 49:21Speaker 02

  Not a good picture.

• 49:22Josh Horowitz?

  That tracks, that makes sense.

• 49:24Speaker 02

But I, I just felt bad. I had to, I had to change it.

• 49:27Josh Horowitz?

Last actor you were mistaken for?

• 49:31Josh Horowitz?

  It's ever happened?

• 49:32Speaker 02

Yeah, it happened with, um, um, I can't believe I'm forgetting his name. He's an amazing actor.

• 49:40Josh Horowitz?

  It's okay.

• 49:41Speaker 02

From, weird movie to bring up, Challengers.

• 49:46Josh Horowitz?

  Oh, Mike Feist.

• 49:47Speaker 02

Yeah, I've gotten that. I've actually gotten, recently, someone, uh, I wasn't mistaken, but they told me I looked like, um, Finnick from The Hunger Games. And that was, I, that's like my, that's, I mean, those two things, like, you know, biggest compliments ever.

• 50:04Josh Horowitz?

Sam Claflin, do I have that right?

• 50:05Speaker 02

  Sam Claflin, yeah. Amazing actor.

• 50:08Josh Horowitz?

  Amazing.

• 50:09Speaker 02

  Yeah.

• 50:09Josh Horowitz?

Uh, what's the worst, what's the worst note a director has ever given you?

• 50:13Speaker 02

  The worst note?

• 50:15Josh Horowitz?

Or what don't you like getting?

• 50:19Speaker 02

  These are difficult questions.

• 50:21Josh Horowitz?

Saving the hard stuff for, for the end.

• 50:23Speaker 02

Think about this. I think, I've never really gotten like a bad note. I feel like, maybe it's just like, stop messing around.

• 50:32Josh Horowitz?

  Right.

• 50:33Speaker 02

I feel like Orion and I get that quite a bit. Um, yeah.

• 50:37Josh Horowitz?

  Not surprising.

• 50:37Speaker 02

Yeah, I'm not, yeah, I'm not even, it's, it's, it's difficult, especially when we have so many like comedians in the show. It's like, it's hard to keep together.

• 50:47Josh Horowitz?

Trying to have some fun, guys. Come on, lay off. Finally, in the spirit of Happy, Sad, Confused, an actor who always makes you happy, you see them on screen, you're immediately in a better mood, who would that be?

• 50:59Speaker 02

  I think, uh...

• 51:02Speaker 02

Again, I'm gonna go recently. Timothee Chalamet. Has been on a crazy... Marty Supreme. Dune 2. Crazy. Wonka.

• 51:11Josh Horowitz?

  He can do it all.

• 51:12Speaker 02

  Yeah.

• 51:13Josh Horowitz?

What's your musical? What's your big musical?

• 51:15Speaker 02

What's my musical? Uh, well, there is a... There's a Percy Jackson musical. Maybe I'll join that. Maybe I'll join that. Well, first I gotta learn how to sing, which is gonna take me a couple decades.

• 51:26Josh Horowitz?

Movie that makes you sad? What movie has really rattled you?

• 51:32Speaker 02

Percy's Paint Wallflower. That's like the saddest movie ever.

• 51:37Josh Horowitz?

And finally, the food that makes you confused. You don't get it. Why do people eat that? What's up with that?

• 51:46Speaker 02

  What? Uh...

• 51:52Josh Horowitz?

  Now he's sweating.

• 51:53Speaker 02

  What do you think?

• 51:54Josh Horowitz?

Well, so I have a few. I'll give you some examples. Like, I'm not into like, uh... I don't know, I'm not sour cream on something. That ruins it for me. I don't like that.

• 52:02Speaker 02

  I like that.

• 52:02Josh Horowitz?

  I'm not into that.

• 52:03Speaker 02

  I like that, too.

• 52:04Josh Horowitz?

  Okay, so you like everything?

• 52:05Speaker 02

Yeah. I would say the only thing I'm not into is... I don't know why we have to put cilantro on everything.

• 52:12Josh Horowitz?

  Okay.

• 52:13Speaker 02

I feel like... Is that crazy to say?

• 52:15Josh Horowitz?

No. A lot of people just can't... It's like a thing.

• 52:18Speaker 02

I think it's like, I saw a thing, it's like... It's like actually, it's like a genetic thing. It's like, it tastes like soap to me.

• 52:23Josh Horowitz?

  Exactly.

• 52:23Speaker 02

Uh, I appreciate it for what it is. I mean...

• 52:28Speaker 02

I don't know, I think... That's a good question. I love sour cream. I gotta disagree with you on that.

• 52:33Josh Horowitz?

  Wow. Tense at the end.

• 52:35Speaker 02

  Yeah.

• 52:35Josh Horowitz?

Um, we can't agree on this. The new season is fantastic. You kill it, as always.

• 52:41Speaker 02

  Thank you.

• 52:44Josh Horowitz?

I said it before, this is such a... I can't think of a better way to end this amazing year at 92nd Street Y. End the year for Happy, Sad, Confused. Thank you all for coming out. Give it up one more time. The one and only Walker Scobell, everybody.

• 53:00Speaker 02

  Thank you, guys.

• 53:03Speaker 02

  Oh, my God.

• 53:07Speaker 02

  Thank you.

• 53:09Speaker 03
