• 1:42Speaker 02

Yeah, that [BLEEP] was crazy. That's what I'm like, yeah, this [BLEEP] gotta stop.

Our next guest is a legendary artist famously from Detroit. His new album comes out on the 7th of November 2025. Everyone, please welcome Danny Brown.

• 8:53Adam Friedland?

  Danny Brown.

• 8:57Speaker 02

  What's up, brother?

• 8:58Adam Friedland?

  You dress so cool, dude.

• 9:00Speaker 02

  Thank you.

• 9:01Adam Friedland?

Is this like your New York look or you look like that in Austin, Texas, too?

• 9:05Speaker 02

I mean, it's hot out there.

• 9:06Adam Friedland?

  I know.

• 9:07Speaker 02

So I gotta, you know, I gotta pick my poison.

• 9:09Adam Friedland?

Do you like layering, kind of like an autumn autumnal kind of fits?

• 9:15Speaker 02

  Yeah.

• 9:15Adam Friedland?

  Yeah.

• 9:16Speaker 02

I mean, I plan for it. I like buying clothes preseason.

• 9:20Adam Friedland?

  Exactly.

• 9:20Speaker 02

In the summer, I'm shopping for fall.

• 9:22Adam Friedland?

And you get you put on like a slouchy Saturday morning and you go to the farmer's market with your with your bitch?

• 9:27Speaker 02

  No.

• 9:28Adam Friedland?

I don't know why I said it that way.

• 9:29Speaker 02

I really, when I'm home, I'm really more like just because it's so hot. So whatever you can wear just to not be hot.

• 9:36Adam Friedland?

Yeah, I guess so. They're too big. They're big over there in Texas, the people.

• 9:41Speaker 02

I mean, they eat a lot. Have you seen the portions?

• 9:43Adam Friedland?

Yeah, it's disgusting. But if you came here, you'd be you'd be a tall gentleman. You're probably like 5'11".

• 9:49Speaker 02

I'm six foot? Six, one, two, three, maybe.

• 9:53Adam Friedland?

  Oh, in New York.

• 9:54Speaker 02

I mean, on my Wikipedia, it say I'm 6'3", so.

• 9:56Adam Friedland?

  Let's go, yeah.

• 9:59Adam Friedland?

  I'm just saying you're like a New York 6'8" then. I'm just saying, you're like, it's a good feeling.

• 10:04Speaker 02

  Okay.

• 10:05Adam Friedland?

  Yeah, yeah.

• 10:05Speaker 02

  Okay.

• 10:06Adam Friedland?

Yeah, Danny DeVito is basically the normal height.

• 10:10Speaker 02

  The common New York height.

• 10:11Adam Friedland?

Yeah, you see a lot of them guys like dating like elevens and you're like, how does that work?

• 10:15Speaker 02

  Money.

• 10:16Adam Friedland?

I was at the Zorron Mom Donnie election party last night. Yeah, I got, I'm hungover from it.

• 10:22Speaker 02

  I mean.

• 10:23Adam Friedland?

  It's pretty lame to.

• 10:25Speaker 02

  I'm not jealous of you.

• 10:26Adam Friedland?

Some things happen. Some things, oh, some things happened last night.

• 10:31Speaker 02

  Mm-hmm.

• 10:31Adam Friedland?

And I can't say because it's kind of a secret.

• 10:34Speaker 02

  Sounds like a great time.

• 10:35Adam Friedland?

I'm just not talking to AOC again.

• 10:39Speaker 02

  Alright.

• 10:39Adam Friedland?

I'm, she, I'm, she know, you know what you did. You know what you did. You feel like, uh, you, do you know that Zorron was a rapper?

• 10:48Speaker 02

  Mm-mm.

• 10:49Adam Friedland?

He was, he has, he was a, he was a rapper.

• 10:52Speaker 02

  So this is rapping.

• 10:52Adam Friedland?

Do you feel like representation, knowing that there's a rapper mayor of New York?

• 10:57Speaker 02

  No.

• 10:58Adam Friedland?

  No.

• 11:00Speaker 02

That has nothing, I mean, rapping.

• 11:01Adam Friedland?

He's got, he's got smoke with 50 too, you know that.

• 11:04Speaker 02

  Really?

• 11:05Adam Friedland?

Yeah, 50 is talking shit, he said that because of, he's gonna raise my taxes or something.

• 11:09Speaker 02

See, I've been staying away from social media, so I don't know what's going on in the world.

• 11:12Adam Friedland?

Me too, I just learned all this in the last, what, 30 minutes before the interview.

• 11:15Speaker 02

  Okay.

• 11:16Adam Friedland?

Um, no, but yeah, famously, uh, you, you were nearly signed by, uh, G-Unit back in.

• 11:22Speaker 02

I mean, um, Tony Yayo took a liking to my music, so he was helping me out.

• 11:27Adam Friedland?

But, but there was something about your pants or something?

• 11:30Speaker 02

I mean, they didn't like, I mean, 50 didn't like that I wore skinny jeans.

• 11:33Adam Friedland?

  Really?

• 11:33Speaker 02

  Yeah.

• 11:34Adam Friedland?

He said, why are your pants so tight?

• 11:35Speaker 02

  Yeah.

• 11:38Adam Friedland?

So you're on team Zorron in this beef right now?

• 11:41Speaker 02

I'm not on no team, because we don't know, in two years, Zorron.

• 11:44Adam Friedland?

There are two of the finest rappers out right now.

• 11:46Speaker 02

Politicians, really, so in like two years, we don't know what, we gotta see, we gotta see his work.

• 11:50Adam Friedland?

  Yeah, yeah.

• 11:51Speaker 02

You gotta show and prove first, so I can't.

• 11:52Adam Friedland?

  I think he's, I met, I met him and I think he's just pretty like, he's just a millennial.

• 11:57Speaker 02

  Mm-hmm.

• 11:57Adam Friedland?

  He likes soccer.

• 11:58Speaker 02

Because I remember when Detroit had a real young mayor.

• 12:00Adam Friedland?

  Really?

• 12:01Speaker 02

  Juan M. Kilpatrick.

• 12:02Adam Friedland?

And, oh yeah, he got, he caught some charges, right?

• 12:05Speaker 02

  Yeah.

• 12:06Adam Friedland?

What was the, what was the scandal with Juan Kilpatrick?

• 12:08Speaker 02

I mean, it was a lot, but I feel like it was like just misusing funds type of situation.

• 12:13Adam Friedland?

If Michigan, let's say Michigan had a governor race, right? And for the Republicans, you had Kid Rock. And Democrats, you had Eminem. Who do you think would win?

• 12:23Speaker 02

  Eminem.

• 12:25Adam Friedland?

  Eminem, yeah, yeah.

• 12:28Adam Friedland?

Would it be close, you think, or?

• 12:30Speaker 02

  I don't, no.

• 12:31Adam Friedland?

Yeah, I think I would vote for Eminem, too.

• 12:33Speaker 02

Yeah, I think I vote for him.

• 12:34Adam Friedland?

Do you, or do you have a relationship with Marshall?

• 12:38Speaker 02

  I met him.

• 12:38Adam Friedland?

Yeah. He really is so good at rapping. It's really like, but sometimes it's like, you're rapping too good.

• 12:45Speaker 02

I mean, when Eminem first came around, it wasn't really too many white rappers. So it was like, he had to really go extra, extra to really be, you know? And I feel like he was just a fan. So he cared more about the genre than, you know, the average rapper, I would say.

• 13:03Adam Friedland?

Yeah. Did you think there'll be more opportunities for white?

• 13:06Speaker 02

It's a lot of opportunities for white rappers right now.

• 13:09Adam Friedland?

I didn't, why, I'm being, um, were you part of the, what, the Eight Mile thing? Was that a real thing?

• 13:16Speaker 02

  I wasn't, I'm not from Eight Mile.

• 13:18Adam Friedland?

But did you do, did you go to the Mom Spaghetti kind of battles, kind of place?

• 13:22Speaker 02

Um, no, that was kind of like before my time.

• 13:25Adam Friedland?

  Yeah.

• 13:25Speaker 02

Kind of, that was like right, that was like the generation before me. So I, I, I would have loved to be a part of that world. When I came around, it was more like open mic. It was like open mic situations, but they were kind of like, it was kind of like dying out.

• 13:39Adam Friedland?

Were people doing stand-up at the open mics?

• 13:40Speaker 02

  No, it was just rap.

• 13:41Adam Friedland?

Just rap, yeah. That would be so fun.

• 13:43Speaker 02

It used to be sick, though.

• 13:44Adam Friedland?

Yeah. If someone was just like talking about Tinder in the middle of it and getting booed.

• 13:49Speaker 02

I mean, you would get booed if you was trash.

• 13:51Adam Friedland?

Did you ever go into Eight Mile mode, where you're like, I live in a trailer?

• 13:55Speaker 02

I never lived in a trailer.

• 13:56Adam Friedland?

Mom has lunch houses. No, but you say all the things embarrassing about yourself.

• 13:59Speaker 02

  I think I do all the time. I mean, I just think that's self-awareness.

• 14:03Adam Friedland?

You were, you were inspired by B. Rabbit to do that? Was he kind of like a?

• 14:07Speaker 02

I think Eminem inspired a lot.

• 14:08Adam Friedland?

  Yeah.

• 14:09Speaker 02

Of, of, but far as like that, I think, um,

• 14:13Speaker 02

  Yeah, I guess.

• 14:13Adam Friedland?

So he never unk'd you as like a newer Detroit rapper?

• 14:17Speaker 02

I mean, I will say, I mean, at the, at the time we met, I was still deep into like my alcoholism and still getting, you know, fucked up and all that. So I am sober. So you don't wanna be around that, you know?

• 14:29Adam Friedland?

  Yeah, cuz-

• 14:29Speaker 02

And I wasn't, you know, I was still having fun. So it wasn't, so I totally understand that.

• 14:34Adam Friedland?

You drank a fifth of vodka and would you dare me to drive? Did you ever say that to him? That would've been funny.

• 14:40Speaker 02

  Nah.

• 14:41Adam Friedland?

You were on the, like, verge of signing for, for G U.

• 14:45Speaker 02

I wouldn't say on the verge. I mean, Fifty started to, I mean, you know, I would make songs at Yayo's crib and he would play them for me. He eventually started to take a liking to me, you know, but I still, I just was, I was too old. I kinda feel like. So I was already stuck in my ways of what I wanted to be as an artist. And he wanted to mold me into something else.

• 15:03Adam Friedland?

Was there ever a moment where you were gonna just like, they wanted you to just fucking sell out?

• 15:08Speaker 02

I wouldn't say sell out. It's just more what they thought would be, um, more appealing to what the masses of hip-hop or the average hip-hop fan would like.

• 15:16Adam Friedland?

Did they pitch you on like an outfit or like a, like-

• 15:19Speaker 02

No, no, I mean, Fifty, he gave me some clothes one time. It was like, just wear this.

• 15:23Adam Friedland?

  Bag of your pants?

• 15:24Speaker 02

It was some big ass fucking pants with like some, some gold hundred dollar bills on the back pocket.

• 15:29Adam Friedland?

Why did you put on the pants?

• 15:31Speaker 02

  I did!

• 15:31Adam Friedland?

  Put on the damn pants?

• 15:32Speaker 02

I wore them a little bit, then I was getting no bitches.

• 15:34Adam Friedland?

  Really?

• 15:35Speaker 02

And I was like, hold it, let me get these skinny jeans back.

• 15:37Adam Friedland?

Do you conceive of like, the fact that like, in hip-hop today, like, there was primarily just a coastal thing happening? And it took a while for like, I guess first it was Atlanta, maybe a little Houston, maybe a little-

• 15:48Speaker 02

I mean, but that's, that's just where like the bigger companies was at. So if you were somebody that was in the Midwest, if you wasn't traveling to New York or LA to get a record deal, you wasn't really doing them. But I still think it was like a lot of scenes still bubbling, like Memphis been doing they thing for a real long time.

• 16:05Adam Friedland?

  Since the 90s.

• 16:06Speaker 02

  Yeah, that's what I'm saying.

• 16:06Adam Friedland?

Have you ever listened to those early like DJ Paul tapes?

• 16:09Speaker 02

  Hell yeah, they're amazing.

• 16:10Adam Friedland?

  Yeah, Little Fly, Lord Infamous?

• 16:12Speaker 02

All that shit. I like Coopsta Nigga.

• 16:14Adam Friedland?

But the music just sounds like it's coming out of a shoebox. Or it sounds like it's coming out of hell, actually.

• 16:18Speaker 02

  I mean, that's the, that's the vibe.

• 16:20Adam Friedland?

  It just like, sounds insane.

• 16:21Speaker 02

  That's the vibe.

• 16:21Adam Friedland?

It's the best music, I think, ever. Like-

• 16:23Speaker 02

I love that they took to it in like Asian countries now and it's like 36 Mafia style rap groups in like Tokyo and shit.

• 16:31Adam Friedland?

Yeah, they just weird. They have like-

• 16:33Speaker 02

They make drifting videos to that shit.

• 16:35Adam Friedland?

Your dad like was a house DJ, correct?

• 16:37Speaker 02

He hates that I say that. He, he just DJed for fun.

• 16:40Adam Friedland?

  Right, but like Detroit-

• 16:41Speaker 02

But he DJ'd house music, that was his style.

• 16:42Adam Friedland?

Detroit was techno, right? Chicago was house, and like, the cool thing is, is like, it's bigger in Europe, basically. Like, those artists are bigger in Europe than they are in the States, basically.

• 16:52Speaker 02

  And Germany.

• 16:53Adam Friedland?

And Germany, yeah, yeah. Why there?

• 16:55Speaker 02

I think it's always just like Berlin. Berlin just always took to like, like you have been a treasure.

• 17:01Adam Friedland?

  I'm never gonna go.

• 17:04Speaker 02

  Why? What's wrong with Berlin?

• 17:05Adam Friedland?

That's a fool me once situation. I'm not going back. When, so when, when did you like, um, when's the first time you felt like you, you like popped, like, or?

• 17:12Speaker 02

I mean, it was, um, it was the year I was playing at South by Southwest. And, um, you know, I was just doing the normal shows, like, and the biggest show at the time was like Fader Fort. And, um, Rafael Sadiq couldn't make his flight. And so they needed to fill the spot, and, you know, I was just starting to get a name, and it was bubbling, so they had, had me to come fill his spot. And, you know, I did great at the show. I started to see like my social media start to go crazy. I was gaining followers, and then maybe like a year later, I was on the cover of the Fader. So that was like my moment.

• 17:43Adam Friedland?

  Wow.

• 17:43Speaker 02

  Yeah.

• 17:44Adam Friedland?

It sounds like an old story, right? Like, like, I, there was a cancellation on Johnny Carson, and then I had a big, I had a great set. It's a kind of like, uh, there's something like-

• 17:54Speaker 02

  Oh, yeah.

• 17:54Adam Friedland?

There's something sweet about it, you know?

• 17:56Speaker 02

Yeah, cuz it's like, I was, it was just like, I had my moment, I was prepared. And I killed it, and, so, yeah, so then the next year, I was like headlining Fader Fort.

• 18:04Adam Friedland?

We had a great idea for, for a documentary, I know your manager's here. You wanna pitch your manager on what our idea was?

• 18:10Speaker 02

Yeah, we gonna go back to, to my motherland, which is the Philippines.

• 18:13Adam Friedland?

We're gonna go to the Philippines and connect with the Wakanda kind of like retracing the ancestors.

• 18:19Speaker 02

I wanna find out who speared my uncle.

• 18:21Adam Friedland?

Someone speared him, like Bill Goldberg's son?

• 18:23Speaker 02

Like, no, tell me with the actual spear.

• 18:26Adam Friedland?

  No. Who did that?

• 18:28Speaker 02

Uh, we gotta go find out, that's what the documentary about.

• 18:31Adam Friedland?

Oh, so this is more of like a revenge-

• 18:32Speaker 02

  Like a murder mystery.

• 18:33Adam Friedland?

This is a revenge, true crime.

• 18:35Speaker 02

  Murder mystery, true crime.

• 18:36Adam Friedland?

Just call Netflix right now, what are you doing?

• 18:39Speaker 02

  Niggas are still getting-

• 18:40Adam Friedland?

He's on his phone right now, who are you texting?

• 18:44Adam Friedland?

  He's bored.

• 18:46Speaker 02

I heard Netflix don't pay nobody though, so.

• 18:48Adam Friedland?

  What?

• 18:48Speaker 02

  Netflix ain't paying nobody, so.

• 18:50Adam Friedland?

I know, dude. It's not true.

• 18:52Speaker 02

  Go to Tubi, man.

• 18:54Adam Friedland?

  Tubi thing?

• 18:55Speaker 02

  I think so.

• 18:55Adam Friedland?

  Yeah, yeah.

• 18:58Adam Friedland?

Who, like, uh, who, who did you look at as like your kind of influences? Like, what, like, what was the thing that kind of inspired you to get, to get started making music?

• 19:06Speaker 02

I mean, I knew I wanted to rap the very first time I heard, um, LL Cool J. I can say my favorite rapper was Nas, growing up.

• 19:14Adam Friedland?

  Illmatic?

• 19:15Speaker 02

Yeah, and then, you know, Wu-Tang, and then, you know, of course, like, I had a West Coast fade, Snoop and Death Row and all that. But my, I think my biggest influence is a UK rapper, Dizzy Rascal.

• 19:26Adam Friedland?

  He's the best.

• 19:26Speaker 02

  Yeah, he the GOAT.

• 19:27Adam Friedland?

  He's the best.

• 19:28Speaker 02

  He's the GOAT.

• 19:29Adam Friedland?

  Have you met him before?

• 19:30Speaker 02

  Yes!

• 19:31Adam Friedland?

  Is he cool?

• 19:32Speaker 02

  A few times, yeah.

• 19:33Adam Friedland?

He's like, um, dude, how classy is that?

• 19:36Speaker 02

  Yes.

• 19:37Adam Friedland?

Check it out, dude. It's like Don Draver.

• 19:38Speaker 02

  Living the life.

• 19:39Adam Friedland?

  Yeah.

• 19:42Adam Friedland?

I'm hungover, I'm Don Draver. Dude, I can't believe I'm hungover from a politics party. I gotta tell you.

• 19:48Speaker 02

I would have to be drunk to go to that shit.

• 19:50Adam Friedland?

There was, of course, you had a famous incident once on stage.

• 19:54Speaker 02

  Mm-hmm.

• 19:56Adam Friedland?

  Pretty cool.

• 19:57Speaker 02

I wouldn't say so. Now that I look back on it, it's kind of embarrassing.

• 20:00Adam Friedland?

  Yeah, you were probably.

• 20:01Speaker 02

  I was in my 30s.

• 20:02Adam Friedland?

  You were in your 30s.

• 20:06Adam Friedland?

  Yeah, yeah?

• 20:07Speaker 02

Yeah. Too old to be doing that kind of shit.

• 20:09Adam Friedland?

Uh, yeah, well, how old were you?

• 20:11Speaker 02

  In my 30s.

• 20:12Adam Friedland?

Yeah, well, how old in your 30s?

• 20:13Speaker 02

I can't remember. I was on a lot of molly.

• 20:16Adam Friedland?

You could only run for president at 35, so that's pretty.

• 20:19Speaker 02

No, I think I was prior before 35.

• 20:21Adam Friedland?

  Okay, so you were.

• 20:22Speaker 02

  Like, 33.

• 20:23Adam Friedland?

  Come on, you're getting, uh.

• 20:24Speaker 02

  Maybe about 33.

• 20:25Adam Friedland?

Yeah, yeah, 33, so you can't even be the president yet.

• 20:27Speaker 02

  Yeah.

• 20:28Adam Friedland?

You could get your dick sucked.

• 20:29Speaker 02

  30's still young, though.

• 20:30Adam Friedland?

Yeah, yeah, yeah. So in retrospect, it was like, uh, I mean, come on, but it's not like the worst thing in the world.

• 20:35Speaker 02

I mean. I would like to forget it.

• 20:38Adam Friedland?

  I mean, yes.

• 20:39Speaker 02

I would like to forget it.

• 20:40Adam Friedland?

Yeah, I don't want to bring it up. It's probably annoying because you get like ass about it.

• 20:44Speaker 02

Yeah, it's so long ago. That was like 20 years ago.

• 20:47Adam Friedland?

Yeah, and you weren't married to her either.

• 20:49Speaker 02

  No.

• 20:49Adam Friedland?

  Yeah.

• 20:50Speaker 02

I think it was a CIA psyop.

• 20:52Adam Friedland?

Really? CIA sucked your dick on stage?

• 20:54Speaker 02

I think, I think they was put, I think she was playing it.

• 20:57Adam Friedland?

That's so them. That is so CIA. That is so CIA. I should have known. That is exactly the kind of thing they would do. They would do that. Why doesn't the CIA come here?

• 21:10Speaker 02

It is, it is a conspiracy theory behind it.

• 21:12Adam Friedland?

Do you have, do you have baby boys? Baby bros? Are there younger rappers that you look out for?

• 21:18Speaker 02

Um, I mean, it's a lot of younger artists that I connect with. But I wouldn't say look out for. I mean, if they, um, you know, when I ask you some advice, I'm always here to talk. But I can't say I'm not hands on with anybody like that.

• 21:32Adam Friedland?

Is it like a lone wolf kind of world? Like, it's like kind of like-

• 21:35Speaker 02

  Ain't comedy like that too?

• 21:37Adam Friedland?

Uh, I'm the only one that's-

• 21:39Speaker 02

Comedy, definitely some lone wolf, backstab. But with rap music, it's a little more communal.

• 21:44Adam Friedland?

  Really?

• 21:45Speaker 02

Yeah. Like, you can help each other.

• 21:47Adam Friedland?

Who's your best friend in rap?

• 21:49Speaker 02

Best friend in rap? I wouldn't say I have best friends because you know how that is. And I'm old. When you getting, I mean, I don't know. I don't like hanging out, you know?

• 21:58Adam Friedland?

As a man, you shouldn't have friends, right?

• 22:00Speaker 02

I like, I like, I really like hanging out with Kudak, that's my homie. We went to go see Weapons. It was a great time.

• 22:06Adam Friedland?

  Was it a good movie?

• 22:07Speaker 02

Hell, yeah. I liked that shit.

• 22:08Adam Friedland?

Yeah. That's nice you go to a movie with your friend from work.

• 22:12Speaker 02

Yeah, you know, he was in Austin. He's like, you want to go see Weapons? I'm like, yeah, I was, I'm, I feel good. I want to go on a date.

• 22:18Adam Friedland?

What's the fattest you would go with a girl?

• 22:20Speaker 02

  I, I, I, I'd hit some big bitches.

• 22:22Adam Friedland?

  What's the biggest?

• 22:23Speaker 02

I mean, my twenties, my entire twenties, I was broke and just living couch to couch kind of situation. So, yeah, for a hot plate and a couch, I was smashing.

• 22:34Adam Friedland?

  Yeah, really?

• 22:35Speaker 02

Yeah, I used to be on them phone chat lines.

• 22:37Adam Friedland?

  And they could-

• 22:37Speaker 02

And the fat bitches, the fat bitches, they used to be sounding good too.

• 22:40Adam Friedland?

  Really?

• 22:41Speaker 02

You'd be like, damn, this boy shit, I know this. You'd show up 300 pounds. Like, alright. I just always used to have a pep, I'd just have a pep talk with my way while I was on the way over there. And be like, man, it don't matter, man. Whatever it is, I'm hitting it, man.

• 22:50Adam Friedland?

  Yeah.

• 22:51Speaker 02

  You just gotta be strong.

• 22:54Adam Friedland?

I only, I only did it one time.

• 22:55Speaker 02

You know what I'm saying, you just gotta be strong, get over there like, y'all, if I knew, see, you'd be mentally prepared. I remember one time I had a bitch so big, and we were sleeping in the bed together. And like, her roommate had came in the room, she didn't even know I was in the room, we was laying next to each other. She didn't even know a nigga was in that bed.

• 23:14Speaker 02

Yeah, that shit was crazy. That's what I'm like, yeah, this shit gotta stop. My fucking bitch is so big, I could hide behind him.

• 23:21Adam Friedland?

You didn't know that it was a two man situation?

• 23:23Speaker 02

I was hungry that night, she said she was buying pizza.

• 23:26Adam Friedland?

  Really?

• 23:27Speaker 02

She had weed, I'm like, man, I'm tired of sleeping in grandma crib, let me just get a night away. And then, it'd make you start to appreciate the grandma crib, cause you be like, damn, that was hard work, I can't do that every night.

• 23:40Speaker 02

  That was some shit.

• 23:41Adam Friedland?

  It was some heavy lifting.

• 23:42Speaker 02

I mean, it's just, you know.

• 23:44Adam Friedland?

I, I only did it one time, and it felt like she, every time I've been with a lady, I've been like, she's an idiot, what is she doing? She, what a fool. Like, imagine your father, and then, but with the, uh, the bigger one, she was like, she, she was like, thank you.

• 24:00Speaker 02

But big girls are nice, man.

• 24:01Adam Friedland?

She appreciated me, she made me feel beautiful.

• 24:02Speaker 02

  Yeah.

• 24:03Adam Friedland?

Yeah. She made me feel beautiful.

• 24:04Speaker 02

They have a purpose, they have a purpose, man.

• 24:06Adam Friedland?

Yeah, yeah. And it does feel like you've kind of.

• 24:09Speaker 02

So I don't got no, like, I don't got no type.

• 24:11Adam Friedland?

  Yeah, no type whatsoever?

• 24:12Speaker 02

  Mm-mm.

• 24:13Adam Friedland?

Yeah, it's kind of gay to have a type.

• 24:14Speaker 02

Yeah, I like, I'm all about personality.

• 24:16Adam Friedland?

Come on, but you wouldn't be with some sort of.

• 24:18Speaker 02

If I hate you, I can't be around you.

• 24:19Adam Friedland?

Yeah, but if it's an awesome, like, with an eye hanging out of the socket. You wouldn't do that, if it's a great guy, girl, uh.

• 24:27Speaker 02

  I mean.

• 24:28Adam Friedland?

  I'm hungover.

• 24:29Speaker 02

I'm trying to think about it, like, like, if, if.

• 24:31Adam Friedland?

Just a freakazoid, a small hand, imagine a small hand, but she's like, funny as fuck.

• 24:36Speaker 02

Now, if this is like Toxic Avenger or some shit.

• 24:38Adam Friedland?

  Yeah, yeah, acid burn victim?

• 24:40Speaker 02

Yeah, you know what I'm saying?

• 24:41Adam Friedland?

And it's no shade, I mean, you could be friends.

• 24:44Speaker 02

  Yeah.

• 24:44Adam Friedland?

Can you be friends with a girl?

• 24:46Speaker 02

  I don't think so.

• 24:47Adam Friedland?

I don't think so either. They always fall in love with us.

• 24:49Speaker 02

  I tried.

• 24:50Adam Friedland?

They always fall in love with us and they say things like, you're not there for me. And I'm like, you're not my girlfriend. You're not my girlfriend.

• 24:58Speaker 02

  I mean, it's possible, but.

• 25:00Adam Friedland?

  It's possible.

• 25:00Speaker 02

I just, I, I think I just wasn't at the right place in my life to be friends with women when I were. Cause I kinda, um, now I miss those kind of relationships.

• 25:10Adam Friedland?

  Yeah.

• 25:11Speaker 02

Where you can, cause you can kinda talk to them about different shit that you tell one of your homies. Like, man, shut your gay ass up.

• 25:16Adam Friedland?

Right, you could be sensitive with them.

• 25:18Speaker 02

Yeah, that's what I'm saying. Sometimes you need the outside perspective. You need to, you need to talk to a bitch about a bitch.

• 25:23Adam Friedland?

I know, you could like say a little like gay thing once and then it's kinda, she'll, you could be like, I know.

• 25:29Speaker 02

  Yeah.

• 25:29Adam Friedland?

Yeah, and she'll like, they, they like that.

• 25:31Speaker 02

  You could be yourself.

• 25:32Adam Friedland?

  You could be yourself.

• 25:34Adam Friedland?

You could watch, you could watch reality TV.

• 25:37Speaker 02

  Yeah.

• 25:37Adam Friedland?

You'd be like, let's see how.

• 25:38Speaker 02

  90 Day Fiance.

• 25:39Adam Friedland?

Let's see how real these housewives are.

• 25:41Speaker 02

That's my thing, 90 Day Fiance.

• 25:43Adam Friedland?

  Yeah, yeah, I love that.

• 25:44Speaker 02

  Mm-hmm.

• 25:44Adam Friedland?

Do you, do you find that you end up hating the American every time?

• 25:49Adam Friedland?

I think I do every time.

• 25:51Speaker 02

  No, because, yeah.

• 25:52Adam Friedland?

  Yeah, yeah.

• 25:53Speaker 02

Cause sometimes, I mean, cause I be, cause I be rooting for the scammers.

• 25:56Adam Friedland?

  Yeah, I kinda do too.

• 25:57Speaker 02

The African niggas with the fat white bitch, I'd be like, yeah, man.

• 25:59Adam Friedland?

That was the best one, that was the best one, the Nigerian guy, the Nigerian guy. And she went to Nigeria and gave them a hat and Trump stuff.

• 26:06Speaker 02

And she had, she had, she had cornrows and all that.

• 26:09Adam Friedland?

He was so disgusting, that woman. He's a good man. And she's like, and then I saw he had, he had 2,000 other women on his social media. And then she felt betrayed.

• 26:24Speaker 02

That, that's some shit right there.

• 26:25Adam Friedland?

Yeah, and he's wearing the Trump hat, he's like, he's a great businessman, yeah.

• 26:32Speaker 02

He had moved, he moved with her, didn't he? She's, she's trying to like make him, like, he was just babysitting kids and shit.

• 26:37Adam Friedland?

Oh, she was one of those, you can't see the. roommate on the other side kinda ladies.

• 26:40Speaker 02

No, she was, she was, who I, what I'm talking about was crazy, mountain.

• 26:45Adam Friedland?

  Really?

• 26:46Speaker 02

  It was a mountain.

• 26:47Adam Friedland?

  Really?

• 26:47Speaker 02

Yeah, that was like three or four of them. I'm talking about like the 600 pound type shit.

• 26:52Adam Friedland?

  Really?

• 26:52Speaker 02

Like you see, yes, I'm telling you.

• 26:54Adam Friedland?

Like they can't leave the house?

• 26:57Speaker 02

She was like, she, she left the house. But I'm, but I'm telling you, she, it was painful. I know she used to be in pain.

• 27:04Adam Friedland?

How did you know that she was offering the pizza? How, but she's like, you have to exchange some, uh, services?

• 27:10Speaker 02

That's how she, that's how she wooed me.

• 27:11Adam Friedland?

So you were out, where did you see her? Do you remember, like, do you remember the, like, uh, the, you know, the series of events?

• 27:17Speaker 02

No, this was back in, this was in the early 2000s.

• 27:20Adam Friedland?

  Okay, but like-

• 27:20Speaker 02

This was back in the day where you can call one of them party lines up on the phone. And it'd be like, it'd just be bitches. You could just, you'd be listening to profile, a bitch be like, I'm at the crib right now and it's hot and juicy.

• 27:31Adam Friedland?

  Really?

• 27:31Speaker 02

  Come pull up.

• 27:32Adam Friedland?

  But that's real?

• 27:33Speaker 02

You gotta press a number, leave her a message, and then she immediately leave her message, like, just hit, hit my number, then y'all'll call or whatever, and then you link up.

• 27:41Adam Friedland?

  Really?

• 27:42Speaker 02

Yeah, she's like, I was just about to order a pizza, I got some weed, I just need some dick.

• 27:47Adam Friedland?

  And she-

• 27:47Speaker 02

I should've knew she was a big when she said that though. I'm like, alright, this sound like a, this sound like a good night.

• 27:53Adam Friedland?

  That sounds great.

• 27:54Speaker 02

Yeah, I mean, I'm not saying it was a bad time.

• 27:57Adam Friedland?

  You had a great time.

• 27:59Speaker 02

I mean, I, I was, the way I felt about myself the next day, when I got back to my grandma's house.

• 28:03Adam Friedland?

That's self hatred, that's self hatred, you didn't hate her.

• 28:05Speaker 02

  I was really ashamed.

• 28:06Adam Friedland?

  She's a great person.

• 28:07Speaker 02

I was ashamed, and I only was ashamed, cause then in the morning, I was like, damn, I need to get some cigarettes. She's like, alright, I can walk to the gas station. I remember we walked to the gas station together.

• 28:14Adam Friedland?

  Forever?

• 28:15Speaker 02

And then, no, it was a nigga, he, he was pumping his gas and just the way he was looking at me.

• 28:21Adam Friedland?

Like, I just knew in my heart.

• 28:23Speaker 02

That's something, well, he was like, man!

• 28:24Adam Friedland?

He's like, oh, no, no, no.

• 28:28Speaker 02

  I was just like-

• 28:28Adam Friedland?

He's like, he called the party.

• 28:29Speaker 02

And I tried to just be proud, look him in the eyes, like, yeah, I'm with the big bitch.

• 28:34Speaker 02

I, I ain't wanna go through that no more. That's how it was.

• 28:38Adam Friedland?

  What about it, sir?

• 28:39Speaker 02

Public perception is everything, man. I wasn't that, I wasn't that mature in life, man.

• 28:43Adam Friedland?

Did you, did you tell, what did you say to your grandma?

• 28:46Speaker 02

It just was a ghosting. I mean, my grandma, she wanted me out the house for the night, like, damn.

• 28:50Adam Friedland?

So she was like, your grandma was like, just go find one of these?

• 28:54Speaker 02

No, she ain't care. I'm just saying, like, I'm, you know, when you couch surfing.

• 28:57Adam Friedland?

  How was last night?

• 28:58Speaker 02

No, my grandma, she was happy I was gone somewhere.

• 29:01Adam Friedland?

She wasn't like, tell me all about it?

• 29:02Speaker 02

She's like, I hope he, I hope he move in with the bitch.

• 29:04Adam Friedland?

  Really?

• 29:05Speaker 02

  Yeah.

• 29:05Adam Friedland?

Is she still with us, your grandma?

• 29:07Speaker 02

  Hell, yeah.

• 29:07Adam Friedland?

What, how old is she now?

• 29:09Speaker 02

  I don't know. She old.

• 29:12Adam Friedland?

Does she know that you have money now?

• 29:14Speaker 02

  I mean?

• 29:14Adam Friedland?

Or does she still treat you like you're like on the couch?

• 29:17Speaker 02

My grandma was a boss, man. My grandma owned like five houses.

• 29:20Adam Friedland?

  Really?

• 29:20Speaker 02

Me, my money, she probably like, he still ain't got money like that? My grandma, that kind of.

• 29:25Adam Friedland?

  My grandma's a like.

• 29:26Speaker 02

It wouldn't even be real money to her. She's all right.

• 29:29Adam Friedland?

  My grandma, I will like.

• 29:30Speaker 02

You doing all right for yourself?

• 29:31Adam Friedland?

I like will not see her for a year and then I'll see her and she'll be like, you have problems.

• 29:35Speaker 02

• 29:36Adam Friedland?

And I'll be like, fuck you, lady. Mine is.

• 29:38Speaker 02

My grandma cuss, my grandma cuss a lot.

• 29:41Adam Friedland?

  Mine's, mine is a.

• 29:42Speaker 02

My Filipino grandma is pretty cool, but she, she's very strict.

• 29:47Adam Friedland?

Is she good at karaoke or no?

• 29:49Speaker 02

No, my grandma, I mean, my grandma been here since the 60s.

I mean, that's her job. That's what she always did.

• 30:02Adam Friedland?

  They're unreal at karaoke.

• 30:04Speaker 02

I thought that was always, like, that's like more of like a Japan.

• 30:07Adam Friedland?

No, no, karaoke is a Japanese word, but the Filipinos really gave it a new meaning.

• 30:11Speaker 02

I know they love it over there in like the UK too.

• 30:13Adam Friedland?

Yeah, but they don't do a Filipino style like that.

• 30:15Speaker 02

I, I mean, I never was a karaoke guy, to be honest. I feel like I'm working for free.

• 30:20Adam Friedland?

  You make your own songs.

• 30:21Speaker 02

Yeah, I'm working for free at that point.

• 30:22Adam Friedland?

  For me, I feel like.

• 30:23Speaker 02

It was fun. I've been one time on our son Chief Keef.

• 30:26Adam Friedland?

  You went with Chief Keef?

• 30:27Speaker 02

No, that's a song I performed with Chief Keef. Oh, no, I did, Casha.

• 30:31Adam Friedland?

  You did.

• 30:31Speaker 02

  Cashin.

• 30:32Adam Friedland?

  What?

• 30:32Speaker 02

It's going down. I'm yelling timber. Yeah, I did that one.

• 30:36Adam Friedland?

That's a good song, man. Actually, put that on.

• 30:40Speaker 02

Yeah, that's a great karaoke song.

• 30:41Adam Friedland?

Did you ever meet Chief Keef?

• 30:43Speaker 02

  Yeah.

• 30:44Adam Friedland?

  He's the best, right?

• 30:45Speaker 02

  Yeah, he's amazing.

• 30:46Adam Friedland?

  He's amazing.

• 30:46Speaker 02

  Mm-hmm.

• 30:47Adam Friedland?

He's like a normal guy now, too? Have you seen?

• 30:49Speaker 02

  That's great.

• 30:50Adam Friedland?

Cause he was just, he was just on drugs when he was 14.

• 30:52Speaker 02

I mean, he left LA, I mean, he left Chicago, you know?

• 30:55Adam Friedland?

  Yeah, yeah.

• 30:55Speaker 02

He spent his whole twenties in LA now.

• 30:58Adam Friedland?

But everyone thought that he was like, uh, potentially mentally retarded, but like...

• 31:02Speaker 02

  I mean, he got Asperger's, don't he?

• 31:03Adam Friedland?

Yeah, probably, but that, that's why the hooks are so good.

• 31:06Speaker 02

I think he is, I think, I think he said he's got it.

• 31:07Adam Friedland?

That's why the hooks are so good, but like, in, but then I saw an interview with him like a couple of months ago. He's like, "Yeah, just needed to get out of Chicago, pretty much, pretty much happy here in LA, just like a normal guy."

• 31:17Speaker 02

I mean, he like 39, so I think he like done his 30s. Yeah, so I'm saying, he spent his whole twenties in LA. I feel like that was a pivotal time in his life, so yeah, definitely changed him. He definitely a different person than what he would have did if he grew up in Chi- Silver's in Chicago.

• 31:30Adam Friedland?

Yeah, yeah. Was Detroit as, as crazy as, uh, Chicago when you were growing up, or no?

• 31:36Speaker 02

I mean, I think Chicago just going through a real hard time right now. I feel like every city has those phases of just spikes of crime type shit. But I think Detroit has definitely chilled out from when I was a kid.

• 31:49Adam Friedland?

What was it, what was it like growing up? Cause it was like post, like, uh, auto boom?

• 31:53Speaker 02

I mean, it was, it was, I just remember all that shit kinda like, um, like going down, you know? As time progressed. Cause my grandma worked for Chrysler, you know, so, and I just, but she got hurt on the job, so she had retired real early.

• 32:08Adam Friedland?

She did, yeah. And your parents, were they in the auto industry or no?

• 32:11Speaker 02

  No.

• 32:12Adam Friedland?

  No?

• 32:13Speaker 02

No, my, my mom had me at 18, my dad had me at 16. They had four kids by the time he was 21.

• 32:17Adam Friedland?

  Your dad's 16, your mom's 18?

• 32:19Speaker 02

  Mm-hmm.

• 32:21Adam Friedland?

  That's pretty cool.

• 32:21Speaker 02

  Yeah.

• 32:21Adam Friedland?

Did you respect him for that?

• 32:24Speaker 02

I mean, my dad was like, my, I mean, they were young.

• 32:26Adam Friedland?

  Well, he pulled an 18-year-old.

• 32:28Speaker 02

So it was like kids growing kids. I don't know, I never really thought about that, but...

• 32:30Adam Friedland?

Did your dad hurt his hand?

• 32:32Speaker 02

Yeah, how you know about that?

• 32:33Adam Friedland?

  From all the high fives?

• 32:34Speaker 02

  Oh, no.

• 32:37Speaker 02

No, he did lose a finger though.

• 32:38Adam Friedland?

Oh, nevermind. From all the high fives?

• 32:40Speaker 02

  No. He worked somewhere.

• 32:43Adam Friedland?

  Oh, in a factory?

• 32:44Speaker 02

  Yeah, some type of shit.

• 32:45Adam Friedland?

Oh shit. And you're closer with your mother or your father?

• 32:50Speaker 02

  I would say it's equal.

• 32:51Adam Friedland?

  Really?

• 32:51Speaker 02

It's equal. I grew up, I mean, they were together all the way till I was about eighteen. So my pops is in and out the house.

• 32:58Adam Friedland?

What music do they show you growing up?

• 33:00Speaker 02

My dad, he was a super hip hop fan. So like, he was the first person ever, he bought me Wu-Tang first CD. I didn't even know what Wu-Tang was.

• 33:07Adam Friedland?

  Really?

• 33:07Speaker 02

  Yeah.

• 33:08Adam Friedland?

  You're like a cool dad.

• 33:10Speaker 02

Yeah, definitely. Like even like just with, even like with clothes and shit. Like my dad would get the Jordans the first day they came out. Whatever new console, video game console was coming out, we'd get it the first day. But then he'd play it all the goddamn time, so then you had to wait three days before you could even try it out.

• 33:24Adam Friedland?

My dad got, my dad did that with my NES. Yeah, he got addicted.

• 33:29Speaker 02

My dad was addicted to Madden, man.

• 33:31Adam Friedland?

Yeah, yeah. My dad was addicted to Super Mario. I was like, can I play? And he invented a new hand hold, like you hold it like this? Like this?

• 33:40Adam Friedland?

What are you, fourteen year old Asian kid? What are you doing? He was like up late, like, yeah.

• 33:45Speaker 02

  Yeah, that kind of shit.

• 33:46Adam Friedland?

That kind of stuff. It's really annoying when our dads are kind of trying to do kids stuff like that.

• 33:50Speaker 02

I mean, it was a gift and a curse, because I was happy to have all the games and shit. And then, you know, like I said, my pops was in and out, so sometimes he might be gone for like three, four days.

• 33:57Adam Friedland?

But then you come back with the coolest gift ever?

• 33:59Speaker 02

  Mm-hmm.

• 34:00Adam Friedland?

Oh my god. That's so awesome.

• 34:02Speaker 02

  Yeah, I know, right?

• 34:02Adam Friedland?

Yeah, yeah. Did he have a cool car?

• 34:04Speaker 02

  Yeah.

• 34:05Adam Friedland?

He was one of those dads who rolls up in a cool car and he's like, I'll see you, I'll see you around the way.

• 34:09Speaker 02

I think, yeah, the coolest car my dad had, he had, remember the Eddie Bauer Explorer trucks? When they first dropped?

• 34:15Adam Friedland?

  We had that.

• 34:16Speaker 02

  Yeah.

• 34:17Adam Friedland?

  We had that.

• 34:18Speaker 02

He would be wearing Eddie Bauer and shit, driving in an Eddie Bauer Explorer. Didn't he know the green one? He had the real truck.

• 34:24Adam Friedland?

And you remember the tires exploded, the Firestone tires?

• 34:27Speaker 02

  Did they?

• 34:28Adam Friedland?

  Yeah, yeah, yeah.

• 34:28Speaker 02

  Oh shit.

• 34:29Adam Friedland?

It was like the most popular car in America, then there was like a huge recall, because the tires,

• 34:34Speaker 02

  That's fucked.

• 34:34Adam Friedland?

The tires were exploding on the Ford Explorer.

• 37:42Speaker 04

Hey. Listen, um, I know I'm not who you're looking for. I know I'm not the usual type of girl that gets the guy at the end of the movie. I know I'm definitely not Matcha Girl. But when I saw the words on your website that you made using Squarespace.com, it made me want to be wanted the way that you wanted Matcha Girl to be wanting you. Look, I know I'm a loser. I'm a freak. And I can't imagine why someone like you, who could make such an amazing website on Squarespace using their built-in tools like AI-assisted blueprint and search engine optimization and their...

• 38:25Speaker 04

  Oh, scheduling.

• 38:26Adam Friedland?

  Yeah, their scheduling.

• 38:27Speaker 04

Could ever want me. But just so you know, if you ever did, I'd love you. I'd love you until the day you die.

• 38:38Adam Friedland?

Yeah, yeah, sure. You wanna go?

• 38:40Speaker 04

  Oh.

• 38:41Adam Friedland?

  All right.

• 38:41Speaker 04

  Okay. Yeah, yeah, thank you.

• 38:50Adam Friedland?

You never like left like your hometown like mostly

• 38:54Speaker 02

I've been gone for four years now.

• 38:56Adam Friedland?

But like kind of like most, most people like go to New York or LA, I feel like.

• 39:00Speaker 02

I've had my stints, but I just always felt like I couldn't handle myself. I wasn't disciplined enough to be in LA or New York.

• 39:06Adam Friedland?

You were like with Paris Hilton kind of situation?

• 39:09Speaker 02

No, I just knew that I partied too hard.

• 39:12Adam Friedland?

  Yeah.

• 39:12Speaker 02

In Detroit, you know, you get them winters. You can't do shit.

• 39:15Adam Friedland?

  Too cold?

• 39:16Speaker 02

Stay in the house and I work on music.

• 39:17Adam Friedland?

  Really?

• 39:18Speaker 02

You know, so I think it was great that I didn't try to leave Detroit too soon because I just wouldn't know how to handle it.

• 39:24Adam Friedland?

Do you have like a production partnership that you've maintained or is it, do you kind of just?

• 39:29Speaker 02

I think, yeah, I keep a relationship with everybody that I work with in some sense, but I feel like every album, I'm always trying to find a new, new sound or something to influence me. So it's always good to like work with newer people coming up and stuff.

• 39:41Adam Friedland?

I have some, I have some stuff I can show you.

• 39:43Speaker 02

  Hmm, okay.

• 39:44Adam Friedland?

  Yeah.

• 39:46Adam Friedland?

Let's talk about the new album. Like what was like, what was the new, you say that you try out different things each time? What was like the thought process this time around?

• 39:54Speaker 02

Um, I mean, I was just really influenced by like what was going on in like the hyperpop breakcore scene. So I wanted to reach out and work with a lot of those artists.

• 40:04Adam Friedland?

  Who produced on it?

• 40:05Speaker 02

Um, I got, um, Underscores, Jane Remover, um, Quadeka, Holly did a lot, um, you know.

• 40:13Adam Friedland?

Did you get British folks? That sounds British style to me.

• 40:16Speaker 02

I have a Polish rapper on there, Ty Ucranka.

• 40:19Adam Friedland?

  Really?

• 40:19Speaker 02

  Mm-hmm.

• 40:20Adam Friedland?

You know, the Polish, they get a, they get a rough rap, you know, a lot of people.

• 40:23Speaker 02

I mean, cause she, that's what I'm saying. Hers, when she rap, it almost sounds.

• 40:26Adam Friedland?

  Oh, it's a girl Polish?

• 40:27Speaker 02

Yeah, it almost sounds Asian almost.

• 40:29Adam Friedland?

  Really?

• 40:29Speaker 02

Yeah, the way she, she's sick, man. Ty is sick.

• 40:32Adam Friedland?

When you're saying you're getting interested in like, uh, like breakcore, you called it?

• 40:36Speaker 02

  Yeah.

• 40:37Adam Friedland?

What, just describe what that is.

• 40:38Speaker 02

Breakcore, I mean, Digi-core, breakcore. It's just more like, um, like.

• 40:41Adam Friedland?

It's like Dance Dance Revolution? That's what it sounds like to me.

• 40:44Speaker 02

I would say it's kind of like a cousin of like drum and bass and jungle.

• 40:49Adam Friedland?

  So it sounds British, right?

• 40:50Speaker 02

Yeah, I mean, yeah. It's, it definitely influenced, definitely a lot of samples from that.

• 40:55Adam Friedland?

  Yeah.

• 40:55Speaker 02

  Yeah.

• 40:56Adam Friedland?

It's music that like on a rainy day, you drive like a VW Golf, like a GTI.

• 41:02Speaker 02

I just walk in the rain.

• 41:03Adam Friedland?

  Really?

• 41:04Speaker 02

  Yeah.

• 41:04Adam Friedland?

  That's beautiful.

• 41:05Speaker 02

Yeah, you just walk in the rain with.

• 41:07Adam Friedland?

Do you conceive of like, when you finish the song, have you ever, do you ever conceive of like, I've written the, I've written, that's a perfect song?

• 41:14Speaker 02

I never say perfect song cuz I always wanna get better. I feel like with music is never, you never, you know, like even Bowie did it till he was gone. You know, so it's like you get, and it's one of the Ellis albums he made.

• 41:26Adam Friedland?

Is he your goat? Black Star?

• 41:28Speaker 02

  Yeah.

• 41:29Adam Friedland?

  It's so good.

• 41:29Speaker 02

That's what I'm saying, so like.

• 41:30Adam Friedland?

I could only listen to it twice because I'm too sad.

• 41:33Speaker 02

I ain't about to go back. I'm not running Black Star back.

• 41:36Adam Friedland?

He's your number one? He's one of your number ones?

• 41:38Speaker 02

I mean, definitely a huge inspiration, but I would say I wasn't around for that time to where

• 41:46Speaker 02

I'd seen the impact, but just reading, you know, studying, doing the history. I definitely could get some inspiration from there. I would say Prince too, kinda like that.

• 41:56Adam Friedland?

Yeah, Midwest. Did you ever meet him?

• 41:59Speaker 02

  Fuck no, I wish.

• 42:00Adam Friedland?

I wish too. Yeah, he would be so mean to me.

• 42:02Speaker 02

That same thing I was literally thinking in my head.

• 42:04Adam Friedland?

Can you imagine how mean he would be?

• 42:06Speaker 02

I mean, but I wouldn't have it no other way.

• 42:09Adam Friedland?

The artist, I'm so excited to meet him.

• 42:12Speaker 02

I mean, I wouldn't be disappointed by that. That's what I would say. You know how they like never meet your idols type shit? I would just like expect that from him.

• 42:18Adam Friedland?

He was mean to his friends.

• 42:19Speaker 02

If he was nice to me, I'd be like, oh shit.

• 42:21Adam Friedland?

He hated Michael and Michael like just was completely unfazed by it. That rivalry was the funniest rivalry in the world.

• 42:27Speaker 02

I can't pick between them two.

• 42:29Adam Friedland?

  I was Michael growing up.

• 42:30Speaker 02

Of course, I was too, but once I got old enough, I realized the genius of Prince.

• 42:34Adam Friedland?

When Michael did the dick grab thing, when I was a little kid, I would see it on TV and I started doing it and then I would get in so much trouble.

• 42:42Speaker 02

Mike fucked me up, man, and I got my ass whooped fucking with Mike.

• 42:44Adam Friedland?

Really? It was not cool to like Mike?

• 42:46Speaker 02

I mean, that bad video came out and you remember he was in the subway being bad and shit.

• 42:51Adam Friedland?

And those are real bad guys in the video. He got real bad boys.

• 42:54Speaker 02

I was getting bullied on the playground and I thought.

• 42:57Adam Friedland?

You thought your butt is mine? You were trying to do your butt is mine?

• 42:59Speaker 02

No, I just thought do what Michael do and get up out of this, you know what I'm saying? So I hit the, oh, and got punched right in the mouth.

• 43:05Adam Friedland?

You thought that was real fighting?

• 43:07Speaker 02

I was diluting music right in my life, you know, it was always.

• 43:10Adam Friedland?

You thought that was how a person fights?

• 43:11Speaker 02

I didn't know, but yeah, I did try to break out the bad routine before the scrap and got my ass whooped.

• 43:16Adam Friedland?

  Imagine if it worked.

• 43:17Speaker 02

So embarrassing. I'm glad we moved.

• 43:18Adam Friedland?

Dude, you have to move schools. You have to move schools out.

• 43:21Speaker 02

Yeah, I think you're right. But yeah, I got my ass whooped.

• 43:24Adam Friedland?

  I mean, that is something.

• 43:25Speaker 02

I didn't even realize you can punch people in the mouth to them. Like damn, this nigga just, I just saw that shit on TV.

• 43:31Adam Friedland?

  Was like second grade?

• 43:32Speaker 02

And it sounded the same. No, this was. Kindergarten.

• 43:35Adam Friedland?

  Kindergarten.

• 43:36Speaker 02

  Yeah.

• 43:36Adam Friedland?

Oh, that follows you to 12th grade.

• 43:38Speaker 02

  Oh shit.

• 43:38Adam Friedland?

Oh yeah, that you got, because it had to have been so funny.

• 43:41Speaker 02

Or no, it maybe would have, it maybe was first grade.

• 43:43Adam Friedland?

  Be like this?

• 43:44Speaker 02

It maybe was first, because I remember, yeah, because, because we moved mid, we moved mid semester type shit, so it was first grade.

• 43:49Adam Friedland?

You had the nicest parents in the world.

• 43:51Speaker 02

No, they were already planning to move.

• 43:53Adam Friedland?

Getting out of Dodge when you embarrassed.

• 43:54Speaker 02

They were already planning to move, it just lined up right, but yeah. I got punched in the fucking face.

• 44:00Adam Friedland?

Did you have to learn how to fight?

• 44:01Speaker 02

  I don't think I ever did.

• 44:02Adam Friedland?

  I don't think I ever did.

• 44:03Speaker 02

I just, I just realized, just, just punch him in the mouth first.

• 44:06Adam Friedland?

  You have to go first?

• 44:07Speaker 02

Yeah, that's all, even if you get your ass whooped after, everybody gonna remember you fought on them first. So yeah, I just took that motto. Anytime I felt threatened, I would just punch a nigga in the mouth.

• 44:16Adam Friedland?

Did it like, sometimes it didn't work hard enough?

• 44:19Speaker 02

I mean, I don't think, I never, I never knocked nobody out, so.

• 44:24Adam Friedland?

I guess like, uh, like moving forward, like what, what are some like goals that you, or keep you, keep you going, like as an artist?

• 44:32Speaker 02

I mean, I feel like, um, you know, music is something, like I say, you can never, it's a never ending quest to get better at it. And now I understand more so like, it's a legacy thing, like maybe fucking 30 years after I'm dead, some kid is sampling my records and making hit songs out of them or whatever the fuck. So right now, I'm just making music for my legacy now.

• 44:51Adam Friedland?

Do you listen to early records and you think like, oh, that, that, like I'm better now?

• 44:55Speaker 02

  Hell yeah.

• 44:56Adam Friedland?

  Yeah.

• 44:56Speaker 02

  Hell yeah.

• 44:56Adam Friedland?

Are you like, that guy's a.

• 44:57Speaker 02

But it was a different way of going about making songs at that time.

• 45:01Adam Friedland?

Yeah, how did Nas do that at 17 then? It's so weird.

• 45:05Speaker 02

Just born with it, man, but then, you know, I feel like him having a jazz musician father.

• 45:12Adam Friedland?

  Yeah.

• 45:13Speaker 02

And you know, like your parents would be having any record collections in the house and they really into music, like that shit definitely plays a huge part.

• 45:19Adam Friedland?

  Yeah.

• 45:20Speaker 02

But yeah, I like that, like doing the history of music, you know, like going back and like, just really like figuring out records that stand the test of time and maybe one day I'll have a record like that where people still talking about like 30 years later.

• 45:33Adam Friedland?

So then instead of top 5 rappers, what's, what is your 5 of that?

• 45:36Speaker 02

Of, I mean, I have my, I mean, I feel like 5 of my favorite rapper, records might not still the test of time versus records that I know stood the test of time.

• 45:45Adam Friedland?

  Yeah.

• 45:46Speaker 02

  You know?

• 45:47Adam Friedland?

But so what would some of those be?

• 45:49Speaker 02

Records that I think stand the test, like even shit, just look at something like a. Marvin Gaye, what's going on? Shit, look what the fuck going on right now. You giving him shit? Record like that.

• 45:59Adam Friedland?

Sometimes when I listen to Future, I think that actually.

• 46:02Speaker 02

  Oh, no, definitely.

• 46:03Adam Friedland?

Or like when I listen to like, um.

• 46:05Speaker 02

  Future like blues.

• 46:06Adam Friedland?

Well, when I listen to like March Madness, he's like, even like, he's like in a club, right? And he's like on so many drugs, right? And his head can't like keep track, it's like, he keeps changing tracks. And he's like, he's like, damn, the cops are killing people. Should I fuck this girl even if she's ugly? You know, and he's just, but he's like also like, like I'm maybe too fucked up right now. And I'm super famous, but I still feel all alone.

• 46:30Speaker 02

  Yeah, Future is, um.

• 46:32Adam Friedland?

It's just kinda how, it is a very alienating time. It's like, cut that, please, all of that. That is sucks.

• 46:38Speaker 02

No, I understand what you're saying, cause Future, Future is kinda like blues music for toxic niggas that owe child support.

• 46:46Adam Friedland?

  It's true.

• 46:47Speaker 02

You know, it gaslights, it's like gaslighting for them, you know what I'm saying?

• 46:50Adam Friedland?

But don't you buy it? When he's like, I cheated on you, but I'm so sad. You're like, damn, he's having a tough time. It really, I buy it. I'm like, wow, yeah, he really has a lot going on.

• 47:00Speaker 02

Sounds like a struggle with discipline.

• 47:02Adam Friedland?

Yeah, yeah. Well, rap used to be like when I, when we were kid, I mean, you're a little bit older than me. But when I was a kid, it was about like, I had nothing. And now I'm, and then I made a lot of money. And now I'm celebrating it, right? And now it's kind of like I have, I've, I got to the top, but I like, don't trust anyone around me.

• 47:20Speaker 02

If Drake started that. I don't know, I think, um, I mean, I, one thing I feel like hip hop always been rooted in. And this tradition has always been originality. So I like just hearing different stories. And I like hearing like regional rap where you can like, you've never been there before, but you can close your eyes and hear him describe it and you be like, ah, that's what, that's what's going on in the Magnolia projects in New Orleans, you know? Like listen to Illmatic, like that's Queensbridge, you know?

• 47:44Adam Friedland?

  Right.

• 47:45Speaker 02

So that's what I loved about rap. Oh, even when I listen to Dizzy Rascal, I'm like, this, this London, Bethnal Greens. You know what I'm saying? So yeah, take me to your hood. That's what I like. I wanna know what's going on. It's like news, it's like our ghetto news. But it ain't like that no more. Cause the internet, everybody merged in, so everybody make the same sounds now, you know? It's just some regional shit everywhere, but.

• 48:04Adam Friedland?

You think it's fucked up that a kid could listen to like, like Spotify, you can listen to any song ever?

• 48:09Speaker 02

No, I think that's actually great, to be honest, because I know a lot of kids.

• 48:12Adam Friedland?

Well, because we got a CD and we listened for two months.

• 48:14Speaker 02

I think that is great because a lot of kids do, could go back and do their research and do homework. I really do think that's the great part about it, but I don't know if anybody really.

• 48:22Adam Friedland?

I wonder if they can get as deep, though.

• 48:23Speaker 02

I know, I know some, I mean, kids that are into music, they, they, they get in deep. I, I, I can't say like, kids that I've known, but they are making music though, so. They do, it's some kids right now, more knowledgeable about old school shit than me, and I'm like, what the fuck?

• 48:36Adam Friedland?

Yeah, for me, it's just like, I think that like, when I, I would go to the mall, I get one CD.

• 48:40Speaker 02

  Yes.

• 48:41Adam Friedland?

  And it'd be a month.

• 48:41Speaker 02

  Yeah.

• 48:42Adam Friedland?

And I would just like, I, I think that I needed that time to like, just listen over and over and over again to really get something. But these kids, I feel like you could just keep changing to like, different things.

• 48:51Speaker 02

  People don't, we don't.

• 48:51Adam Friedland?

I wonder if they could like, really just absorb it, like.

• 48:55Speaker 02

  We don't give it time.

• 48:56Adam Friedland?

Me and my cousin got Dark Side of the Moon, and we, we were like, to, uh, eleven, and we turned off all the lights, and we pretended to be high.

• 49:03Speaker 02

  No.

• 49:04Adam Friedland?

We like, imagined like, one day we're gonna be high, and it worked.

• 49:08Speaker 02

Yeah, I've done it before. I think everybody needs one acid trip, Dark Side of the Moon.

• 49:15Adam Friedland?

Oh, you've done it to Dark Side of the Moon? Unreal record.

• 49:19Speaker 02

I mean, it made me appreciate it a lot more.

• 49:21Adam Friedland?

  Really?

• 49:21Speaker 02

  Yeah.

• 49:22Adam Friedland?

  I like it, regular style.

• 49:23Speaker 02

  I didn't, I can't say, I mean, yeah, it, it's definitely a different experience.

• 49:27Adam Friedland?

I love the Floyd, dude. What's your favorite song on Dark Side of the Moon?

• 49:31Speaker 02

  The first one.

• 49:34Adam Friedland?

The time? No, no, time isn't the first one.

• 49:36Speaker 02

I definitely don't know the tracks.

• 49:38Adam Friedland?

  Be it away.

• 49:38Speaker 02

  Yeah.

• 49:39Adam Friedland?

The moment, no, that's time. No, no, the first track is, uh.

• 49:42Speaker 02

  Yeah.

• 49:44Adam Friedland?

What is it? Read? How does it, what is it?

• 49:48Speaker 02

  The way that should start.

• 49:50Adam Friedland?

  Keep going, Zach.

• 49:52Speaker 02

Yeah. Yeah, that's it. That's the hardest shit.

• 49:58Adam Friedland?

That's so sick. Best man ever, dude. Do you remember that song? I, I don't wanna know.

• 50:05Speaker 02

  Yeah.

• 50:05Adam Friedland?

If you're playing me, keep that on the low.

• 50:09Speaker 02

  You know what song?

• 50:11Adam Friedland?

That guy's like getting, this is the cuck anthem, bro.

• 50:14Speaker 02

Yeah, that is great. If you listen to a lot of those songs, and you just think about it, like, you'd be like, no, they trippin'. I remember that one Backstreet song where they're just singing about getting a boner on the dance floor.

• 50:22Adam Friedland?

  Which is that called?

• 50:23Speaker 02

Like, when we always grinding, I get so excited.

• 50:28Adam Friedland?

  Ooh, how I like.

• 50:29Speaker 02

It's all about getting a boner.

• 50:31Adam Friedland?

Fighting, it's dancing real, so at the bar, Miss.

• 50:34Speaker 02

You're making it hard for me.

• 50:38Speaker 02

  They just singing about boners.

• 50:40Adam Friedland?

Just Rebecca Schwartz and the angriest boner you ever had in your entire life. Just like, "I need a [bleep]!" Thirteen-year-old boner?

• 50:48Speaker 02

They're singing very aggressively about getting a boner too.

• 50:50Adam Friedland?

  Dude.

• 50:51Speaker 02

Like, "I'm excited!" Like, "Damn!" It's like the blue ball started kicking in, like...

• 50:58Adam Friedland?

  Ooh, how I like it.

• 50:59Speaker 02

"Try, but I can't fight it."

• 51:04Speaker 02

"You're making it hard for me." "I was four niggas in a booth."

• 51:09Adam Friedland?

  What's the girl say?

• 51:09Speaker 02

  Singing in unison.

• 51:10Adam Friedland?

  Yeah.

• 51:11Speaker 02

"You making it hard for me."

• 51:14Speaker 02

  Without breaking a lab.

• 51:16Adam Friedland?

  With your friends, yeah.

• 51:18Speaker 02

  Who wrote that shit, man?

• 51:20Adam Friedland?

  Honestly, uh...

• 51:21Speaker 02

It is actual, that's like songwriting genius, man.

• 51:24Adam Friedland?

What is the girl part? The girl, "Feel a little poke coming through."

• 51:27Speaker 02

  Yeah!

• 51:27Adam Friedland?

Yeah. The girl part says, "Feel a little poke coming through."

• 51:30Speaker 02

"I feel a little poke coming through on you." "Oh, you know, I can't help it."

• 51:41Speaker 02

  "Oh, some freaky niggas, man."

• 51:44Adam Friedland?

R and B has to come back.

• 51:46Speaker 02

  Yeah, man.

• 51:46Adam Friedland?

  Just six guys.

• 51:47Speaker 02

They trying to be too cool. They trying to be too cool, they don't wanna sing about boners and shit no more. Cause we all couldn't relate to that shit, like, "Yeah, I remember them bitches grinding on me, that motherfucker." "You gotta put the mushroom under the drawband, under the elastic." "You got your dick on your fucking belly button, you like, man."

• 52:02Adam Friedland?

Just [bleep] these guys, like, "I'm so rich and I'm so sad." Like, that was the purest shit.

• 52:07Speaker 02

You got your dickhead peeking out the bushes, like...

• 52:09Adam Friedland?

Twelve o'clock, yeah. Yeah. A little mushroom at the top.

• 52:12Speaker 02

He just up there, like, "Ugh."

• 52:16Speaker 02

But how did they, how did they convince her to sing that part? I feel like as a woman, I'd have been like, "Hold up, man, y'all niggas in here tripping."

• 52:21Adam Friedland?

She thought it was a cool song, probably.

• 52:23Speaker 02

That's like dance, that's like wetting the reception.

• 52:26Adam Friedland?

I know, you've, like, people have danced with their grandmas to that song.

• 52:29Speaker 02

That's what I'm saying, it's crazy! Now it's crazy, now, when you really think about it, who was cutting the rug to this?

• 52:35Adam Friedland?

Freak dancing for the, for us boys was Bar Mitzvah era.

• 52:38Speaker 02

  Mm-hmm.

• 52:39Adam Friedland?

And it was just, our parents were there, and we were just like, yeah, like, I have a couple friends just let it go inside the pants.

• 52:45Speaker 02

In Detroit, in Detroit, we had ghetto tech though, so, and that's like the most... Like blatant like sex, over sexually music ever, so that's what I was growing up, like teenagers and shit.

• 52:54Adam Friedland?

There was nothing left to the imagination.

• 52:57Speaker 02

Yeah, DJ Assault, ass and titties and shit.

• 52:59Adam Friedland?

Oh, he, that's ass and titties, ass, ass and titties?

• 53:02Speaker 02

Yeah, that's what I used, that's, in Detroit, as a kid, that's what we used to hear when we go to like parties and shit. We didn't hear like top forty radio. It was just DJ Assault mixtapes. There's some hoes in his house.

• 53:11Adam Friedland?

I wonder how he came up with that, yeah.

• 53:13Speaker 02

He's amazing. He has so many.

• 53:16Adam Friedland?

He's like the, uh, the, kind of the DJ Rashad of Detroit? Is he like the local legend?

• 53:21Speaker 02

He's a super legend, super duper legend. I mean, he was way before DJ Rashad, so I can't even say.

• 53:26Adam Friedland?

Well, I'm just saying in the sense that like footwork or like Chicago.

• 53:30Speaker 02

Yeah, I mean, I don't know if it was more jit music, cause that's what we did in Detroit, was more of a jitting. So I don't know, Assault was just more about bitch, hoes, step up your clothes, hoes, get naked.

• 53:41Adam Friedland?

And it would just be like, not even a full sentence, and you'd say over, over, over.

• 53:44Speaker 02

And then, I would just remember just being like, you know, you in the eighth grade, you just literally just humping a bitch on the ground.

• 53:51Speaker 02

You just doggy style, it's just all clothes, at the fucking school homecoming, like. You're always in that mother, you wonder how teenage pregnancy was running rampant around that mother.

• 54:00Adam Friedland?

Do you remember how angry the boners would get? Those were the most pissed off boners.

• 54:04Speaker 02

  That's what I came for.

• 54:05Adam Friedland?

  These days, I'm like, what are you, you're a, you're a loser.

• 54:10Speaker 02

  I remember, especially high school.

• 54:11Adam Friedland?

They'd be like shaking, they'd be like, ah!

• 54:15Speaker 02

  You don't remember.

• 54:15Adam Friedland?

  They're like super saying, yeah.

• 54:17Speaker 02

You don't remember them terry cloth, Aniche jogging suits and shit? The fat farms, boners in them was insane.

• 54:23Adam Friedland?

Well, terry cloth is good for a mess.

• 54:25Speaker 02

That's what I, that was my strip club wear.

• 54:27Adam Friedland?

  Really?

• 54:28Speaker 02

  Yeah, fat firm, jogging suit.

• 54:30Adam Friedland?

What are Detroit strip clubs like?

• 54:32Speaker 02

I haven't been in over twenty years.

• 54:33Adam Friedland?

  Yeah, yeah.

• 54:34Speaker 02

  Yeah.

• 54:34Adam Friedland?

  Were they more industrial?

• 54:36Speaker 02

I mean, I would be scared, that's what shit happened at, shit.

• 54:38Adam Friedland?

  Really?

• 54:39Speaker 02

Yeah, I'd be gangster shit, I'm too, I'm a bitch ass nigga.

• 54:42Adam Friedland?

Did you ever, this is a stupid question, and I'm embarrassed, but did you ever have that, the eight mile style sex, ever?

• 54:49Speaker 02

  What's that?

• 54:50Adam Friedland?

When he's like in the factory with Brittany Murphy?

• 54:53Speaker 02

I got my dick sucked in a Burger King freezer.

• 54:56Adam Friedland?

That's pretty much the same thing.

• 54:57Speaker 02

Yeah, I guess you're right. It was the same. I was working at Burger King.

• 55:01Adam Friedland?

  It's probably romantic.

• 55:02Speaker 02

Bought her onion rings and shit.

• 55:04Adam Friedland?

  Yeah, yeah.

• 55:04Speaker 02

And it was like my first time really getting a blowjob and I couldn't really respect it because it was in a cold ass freezer. So I didn't really know the.

• 55:12Adam Friedland?

Why are you doing it on your own self?

• 55:13Speaker 02

I mean, I'm just saying, I wish it was in a more comfortable setting and then I really would have, you know, been like, damn. So I didn't really, I don't really count it because I didn't know how good it really could get.

• 55:21Adam Friedland?

Well, my first, my first handi was in the back of a girl's parents' car and it took an hour and a half.

• 55:27Speaker 02

  That was great.

• 55:28Adam Friedland?

It was the most painful experience of my entire life. She's, she's just like starting a fucking, like a fucking lawnmower. She was like pulling it. And I was like, stop.

• 55:36Speaker 02

  I just wish I wasn't a horny kid like that. I wish I just.

• 55:39Adam Friedland?

But then I was like, I have to like come, otherwise I can't call it a handjob.

• 55:43Speaker 02

Oh, so you were committed to the bit?

• 55:45Adam Friedland?

Yeah, and then I, I busted, I busted my face.

• 55:49Speaker 02

  Oh, shit.

• 55:50Adam Friedland?

Yeah. My first handjob, I busted my own damn face.

• 55:54Speaker 02

  I mean.

• 55:55Adam Friedland?

After an hour and a half of just fucking.

• 55:57Speaker 02

Yeah, definitely. I'm sure that would happen.

• 56:00Adam Friedland?

Humiliating. I know her full name and I, I want to say it. I will, but you know where you are. In your parents' infinity.

• 56:10Speaker 02

  That's crazy.

• 56:11Adam Friedland?

It's so funny. Um, the only part, like not having money sucks.

• 56:15Speaker 02

  Oh, it's.

• 56:16Adam Friedland?

But, but getting girl, like the, the girl part is kind of like the one thing that was kind of a little bit fun.

• 56:22Speaker 02

  What do you mean?

• 56:23Adam Friedland?

It was like a video game. Well, it was just like, I, I had a, I remember so, I had no money. And so I, I say, well, you know, all guys take you out to like a, to like a restaurant or a bar. And I didn't like have the money for it. So I was like, why don't I cook for you? And I had this like spaghetti bolognese that I priced down to like seven dollars and 30 cents.

• 56:42Speaker 02

See, this is different cultures going on right now.

• 56:44Adam Friedland?

And so then I make her this, this heavy meat sauce spaghetti and then, but I would buy ground turkey. Which was uh, cheaper than ground beef. And then I realized.

• 56:53Speaker 02

  It's nasty.

• 56:54Adam Friedland?

Years later, I'd, no, I realized that it's got like that fucking. It's not, they didn't go to sleep or anything, but it's like a drip to fan. And I was like, I was making, I was like, in retrospect, it was like a

• 57:05Speaker 02

  Dead [__]?

• 57:06Adam Friedland?

It wasn't, no, I'm, come on, it's not, I, no, they, nothing like that happened, but it was like, you shouldn't make, give a girl a sleepy meal.

• 57:12Speaker 02

  Yeah.

• 57:13Adam Friedland?

You know, it's just not the right thing to do.

• 57:15Speaker 02

  See, that's what I'm saying.

• 57:15Adam Friedland?

It was affordable, it was an affordable sleepy, but I was like, it's, in retrospect, I'm like, turkey does, is asleep, it's not Cosby, I'm not Cosby.

• 57:26Speaker 02

  But yeah, see, I don't

• 57:27Adam Friedland?

  Thank you for your support.

• 57:28Speaker 02

I don't know, and I was broke, I was moving mountains.

• 57:31Adam Friedland?

  I know.

• 57:32Speaker 02

  So.

• 57:33Adam Friedland?

  I should've done that, I should've done that rap.

• 57:35Speaker 02

Yeah, put the dick on the track.

• 57:36Adam Friedland?

Did you feel like you've conquered a beast?

• 57:37Speaker 02

No! Never felt like that. It never felt like that. It, it just felt like a, because you know you're doing something you really don't want to do. And I feel like, anytime you're doing something like that, you're not gonna feel.

• 57:54Adam Friedland?

But didn't you think that you were being, like, you were giving them a, like, the, you were, you were being a nice guy to them?

• 58:01Speaker 02

  Yeah.

• 58:01Adam Friedland?

  To the, to the mountains?

• 58:02Speaker 02

  Like charity.

• 58:04Adam Friedland?

Yeah, and they were like, "Thank you."

• 58:06Speaker 02

I don't know, because they'd be like, "He ain't pull back up."

• 58:08Adam Friedland?

Wait, they, those, they, they insulted you afterwards?

• 58:11Speaker 02

I mean, they, they, they want you to come back.

• 58:13Adam Friedland?

Oh, they want you to come back?

• 58:15Speaker 02

  Yeah.

• 58:15Adam Friedland?

  Yeah.

• 58:16Speaker 02

I don't know if I can do it.

• 58:17Adam Friedland?

I don't know if I can do it.

• 58:17Speaker 02

  Yeah.

• 58:18Adam Friedland?

And then you hit rock bottom and then you're like?

• 58:20Speaker 02

  Yeah, then you're like, "Bro."

• 58:21Adam Friedland?

That's the worst walk on the way to the

• 58:23Speaker 02

  Oh, the walk is strange?

• 58:24Adam Friedland?

No, the round two of that.

• 58:25Speaker 02

I caught the bus over there to that [__].

• 58:27Adam Friedland?

  The bus?

• 58:29Speaker 02

At the bus stop, cold as hell, leaving, like, "What the [__] I got going on in my life?"

• 58:33Adam Friedland?

  Oh, in the Detroit?

• 58:33Speaker 02

Yeah, you're just looking out the window on the bus, like, "Man, what have I done with my life?"

• 58:39Speaker 02

Just staring down Grand River, like.

• 58:43Adam Friedland?

This is the misogyny episode, I love it. I'm having such a good time, and don't get me started on their stories, can they go?

• 58:50Speaker 02

I'm not like that no more, I'm definitely a changed man, I meditate 30 minutes a day now.

• 58:53Adam Friedland?

Me too, I used to be like that too.

• 58:55Speaker 02

So, I've, I've, you know, that was my twenties, man. I feel like once I got, like, of age to, my frontal lobe was developed.

• 59:03Adam Friedland?

Yeah, I'm still, I feel like mine is still developing.

• 59:06Speaker 02

I didn't make those choices, because I can think about [__] I used to do, man, I'd be like, "I can't believe, I'm definitely, no." I can't believe I even thought about doing [__] like that.

• 59:14Adam Friedland?

No, but you live, you learn, bro.

• 59:16Speaker 02

  Yeah, definitely.

• 59:17Adam Friedland?

  Yeah.

• 59:17Speaker 02

Definitely, I'm so happy now. When you look at Patrick, can you tell, like, do you have like a sense of like how?

• 59:24Adam Friedland?

How many times he said the word when it was in a song?

• 59:29Speaker 02

No, I feel like he paused.

• 59:31Adam Friedland?

  What?

• 59:31Speaker 02

  He look like he paused.

• 59:32Adam Friedland?

  He paused? He's gay? What?

• 59:34Speaker 02

No, he'll pause on that part, then continue on.

• 59:37Adam Friedland?

  He looks like a pauser.

• 59:38Speaker 02

  Yeah.

• 59:39Adam Friedland?

What about Zach over here? How many times is you? Do you have like a sense of how many times?

• 59:45Speaker 02

  Roughly fifty-six.

• 59:47Adam Friedland?

  Zach, he's Jewish.

• 59:50Speaker 02

Roughly fifty-six, but just while he's

• 59:52Adam Friedland?

  Is it like?

• 59:53Speaker 02

  In the shower or something.

• 59:55Adam Friedland?

  In the shower.

• 59:55Speaker 02

And then he's still gonna, "Oh, shit."

• 59:57Adam Friedland?

It's so funny. It's like masturbating, right? It is like locking the door.

• 1:00:02Speaker 02

Why are y'all so obsessed with saying that word?

• 1:00:05Adam Friedland?

In the song, because it looks so cool.

• 1:00:07Speaker 02

I know. But I have found myself.

• 1:00:09Adam Friedland?

  I've never done it.

• 1:00:09Speaker 02

I do say nigga a lot, but it's almost like a It's like a assist.

• 1:00:14Adam Friedland?

  Yeah, yeah.

• 1:00:16Speaker 02

It's like a pass. No, I'm talking about when words, like, because you can fit another word there, but it just rolls so great into another word.

• 1:00:23Adam Friedland?

  It's just like

• 1:00:24Speaker 02

  And rhyme for him.

• 1:00:25Adam Friedland?

When a black guy calls me that, it feels like flying.

• 1:00:30Speaker 02

Because sometimes I'll be like, "Hold up." I'll be like, "Hold up, man. There ain't enough niggas in here. Let me throw some niggas in this bitch."

• 1:00:36Adam Friedland?

Well, I agree. There aren't enough.

• 1:00:38Speaker 02

On my third draft, on my third draft, I'd drop some more niggas in there. But this new album I actually made, I don't really even cuss that much.

• 1:00:48Speaker 02

It's very It wasn't done on purpose, though, but then I'll just be like, "Damn, I probably cuss."

• 1:00:54Adam Friedland?

  You think cussing is hack?

• 1:00:56Speaker 02

No, definitely not. It just came out that way.

• 1:00:59Adam Friedland?

No, it's easier to just cuss all over your track.

• 1:01:01Speaker 02

You know what it is? Rhyming cuss words is hack.

• 1:01:04Adam Friedland?

  Yeah.

• 1:01:05Speaker 02

So if you bitch shit, anytime you do that, we know. Oh, man.

• 1:01:08Adam Friedland?

Yeah, yeah. Duck, you can rhyme with fuck.

• 1:01:11Speaker 02

But if you say fuck twice.

• 1:01:13Adam Friedland?

You write, have you ever rhymed fuck with fuck?

• 1:01:16Speaker 02

Nah, but I rhyme, I do rhyme twice shit.

• 1:01:19Adam Friedland?

Rhyme twice is fun if it's an emphasis on.

• 1:01:21Speaker 02

Cam'ron is like the best ever.

• 1:01:23Adam Friedland?

  He's the best at it.

• 1:01:24Speaker 02

He created that shit, Connor, you know?

• 1:01:26Adam Friedland?

  I love the watch.

• 1:01:28Speaker 02

  Trying.

• 1:01:29Adam Friedland?

  It's great, dude.

• 1:01:29Speaker 02

  Yeah, I'm trying.

• 1:01:30Adam Friedland?

Should move to New York and chill with.

• 1:01:32Speaker 02

  Fuck no, it's too cold.

• 1:01:34Adam Friedland?

  What, you're friends?

• 1:01:35Speaker 02

  And I would get fat.

• 1:01:36Adam Friedland?

  Why would you get fat?

• 1:01:37Speaker 02

It's just, cuz it's, you can get whatever you want at any time of day, like, I'm not trying to eat chopped cheeses at 4 a.m.

• 1:01:43Adam Friedland?

But you wanna be around those people?

• 1:01:45Speaker 02

  I mean, where I'm at.

• 1:01:46Adam Friedland?

  In Austin, Texas?

• 1:01:47Speaker 02

Where I'm at, it's more of a communal situation. They don't even like me ordering Uber Eats in my neighborhood.

• 1:01:51Adam Friedland?

  Really?

• 1:01:51Speaker 02

They don't even want, like, outside motherfuckers hanging out over there.

• 1:01:54Adam Friedland?

Oh, you're like a hippie commune situation?

• 1:01:56Speaker 02

It's more, it's like hill country.

• 1:01:57Adam Friedland?

  Hill country?

• 1:01:58Speaker 02

  Yeah.

• 1:01:58Adam Friedland?

  Hill people?

• 1:02:00Speaker 02

I guess, yeah. It's real communal, it's really, I really like it. I go to the market, they want you to, it's all like only local shops.

• 1:02:07Adam Friedland?

  Really?

• 1:02:07Speaker 02

  So, yeah.

• 1:02:08Adam Friedland?

You wave at your neighbor? Hey?

• 1:02:09Speaker 02

  I mean, you got to.

• 1:02:10Adam Friedland?

  Jeff?

• 1:02:11Speaker 02

  Everybody just drive golf carts.

• 1:02:13Adam Friedland?

  Do you do a nod?

• 1:02:14Speaker 02

Nah, we, we kick it, they pull up. Them motherfuckers talk, cuz they, like I say, they wanna, they wanna know who you are, you living over here.

• 1:02:21Adam Friedland?

  Yeah, yeah.

• 1:02:21Speaker 02

Cold up, they in your business.

• 1:02:23Adam Friedland?

  Yeah, yeah.

• 1:02:23Speaker 02

  You know, so, it's fun.

• 1:02:25Adam Friedland?

Who's your favorite one in the neighborhood?

• 1:02:27Speaker 02

In my neighborhood? Oh, I got a, um, it's a, um, a lady up the street from Michigan.

• 1:02:32Adam Friedland?

  Oh, she's, she's family?

• 1:02:33Speaker 02

Yeah, so, you know, she always invite me over to watch the Lions game and shit, but I like to smoke and shit, so.

• 1:02:39Adam Friedland?

She doesn't like you smoking in there?

• 1:02:41Speaker 02

I wouldn't say that, I just don't even wanna bring it up.

• 1:02:43Adam Friedland?

  Really? She's like a mom?

• 1:02:44Speaker 02

I'm like, I can't just sit there and watch football without, you know?

• 1:02:47Adam Friedland?

  Yeah, that's true.

• 1:02:48Speaker 02

  With a blunt, you know?

• 1:02:48Adam Friedland?

Why don't you just ask her, why don't you, why don't you, why don't you ask her if she blazes?

• 1:02:52Speaker 02

But I'm not the biggest football fan, I, I like watching football if I'm betting on it. I'm more of a basketball.

• 1:02:58Adam Friedland?

  Yeah.

• 1:02:58Speaker 02

And they, they were, they're not basketball people.

• 1:03:00Adam Friedland?

Maybe you should get all these motherfuckers just.

• 1:03:03Speaker 02

But they do though, um, like, um, like in the summer, they were watching like the, um, the Stanley Cup finals and shit on like a big ass projector.

• 1:03:13Adam Friedland?

  Oh, in the neighborhood?

• 1:03:14Speaker 02

Yeah, just outside, everybody just hanging out watching them.

• 1:03:17Adam Friedland?

Do they know you're a famous rapper?

• 1:03:18Speaker 02

  Yeah.

• 1:03:18Adam Friedland?

  Yeah?

• 1:03:19Speaker 02

  Mm-hmm.

• 1:03:19Adam Friedland?

  And they think that's cool?

• 1:03:21Speaker 02

  I mean.

• 1:03:22Adam Friedland?

That should make you the most popular guy.

• 1:03:24Speaker 02

I'm definitely like the youngest. It's like

• 1:03:27Adam Friedland?

  So you're living with

• 1:03:28Speaker 02

Like sixty percent over sixty years old.

• 1:03:31Adam Friedland?

You're living with sixty year old hill people?

• 1:03:32Speaker 02

  Yeah.

• 1:03:33Adam Friedland?

  And you're like Jeff?

• 1:03:34Speaker 02

  Mm-hmm.

• 1:03:35Adam Friedland?

  Yep.

• 1:03:36Speaker 02

  They real passive aggressive too.

• 1:03:38Adam Friedland?

  Really?

• 1:03:38Speaker 02

  Yeah.

• 1:03:39Adam Friedland?

Are you the only black guy?

• 1:03:40Speaker 02

  Yeah.

• 1:03:41Adam Friedland?

  Yeah. Really?

• 1:03:42Speaker 02

  I think so.

• 1:03:43Adam Friedland?

And you got green ass hair?

• 1:03:45Speaker 02

Yeah, they be, they like it.

• 1:03:46Adam Friedland?

  Really?

• 1:03:46Speaker 02

  Mm-hmm.

• 1:03:47Adam Friedland?

They're like, look at this hippie over there.

• 1:03:48Speaker 02

Yeah, they always be like, yeah, but you know, Austin is kinda like that. It's keep Austin weird type shit, so I fit in.

• 1:03:54Adam Friedland?

  Mother shit.

• 1:03:55Speaker 02

Mm. Well, like I say, I'm more, I'm, I'm literally like maybe an hour from downtown Austin.

• 1:04:01Adam Friedland?

Oh, so you're in the sticks?

• 1:04:02Speaker 02

Yeah, like I said, hill country.

• 1:04:03Adam Friedland?

  You got a gun?

• 1:04:04Speaker 02

  Hell yeah.

• 1:04:05Adam Friedland?

What, what kinda gun do you have?

• 1:04:06Speaker 02

  I got a staccato.

• 1:04:07Adam Friedland?

What does that sound, it sounds like music to me.

• 1:04:09Speaker 02

  I mean

• 1:04:09Adam Friedland?

  Staccato?

• 1:04:10Speaker 02

It's uh, it's very expensive. It's really used for like, um, like Olympic shooters and shit like that. It's like one of those type of professional shooting guns. That's why I don't hear rappers rap about it, cause they cost too much.

• 1:04:22Adam Friedland?

  Really?

• 1:04:22Speaker 02

You never heard anybody say, I don't got the staccato.

• 1:04:24Adam Friedland?

But they like talking about expensive things.

• 1:04:26Speaker 02

They don't, they don't buy, they talk about the cheapest guns though.

• 1:04:31Speaker 02

  The worst guns.

• 1:04:32Adam Friedland?

  That's a flex.

• 1:04:34Speaker 02

  Yeah.

• 1:04:34Adam Friedland?

Who's the biggest dickhead in rap that you've ever met?

• 1:04:38Speaker 02

What, what's the definition of dickhead?

• 1:04:40Adam Friedland?

  I don't know, just being a dickhead.

• 1:04:42Speaker 02

  Like being mean?

• 1:04:43Adam Friedland?

  Yeah, being mean.

• 1:04:44Speaker 02

  Probably mean.

• 1:04:45Adam Friedland?

  Really?

• 1:04:45Speaker 02

  Mm-mm.

• 1:04:46Adam Friedland?

Are you mean to other rappers?

• 1:04:47Speaker 02

  It was a time.

• 1:04:48Adam Friedland?

  You're like Patrice O'Neal?

• 1:04:49Speaker 02

  Yeah, definitely.

• 1:04:50Adam Friedland?

  You're like, you're a fucking bitch.

• 1:04:52Speaker 02

I definitely, I, I really look up to Patrice O'Neal though.

• 1:04:55Adam Friedland?

How did you do that? Like, how did you, like, how did that, like, how did you act mean to them? Like, how did you establish dominance like that?

• 1:05:02Speaker 02

Just get drunk as fuck and say the first thing that come to your head.

• 1:05:05Adam Friedland?

You'd be like, you suck at rap.

• 1:05:06Speaker 02

  Yeah.

• 1:05:07Adam Friedland?

  Yeah.

• 1:05:07Speaker 02

  Yeah.

• 1:05:07Adam Friedland?

  You're a bitch.

• 1:05:08Speaker 02

  Yeah.

• 1:05:08Adam Friedland?

Who, is there someone you've had to apologize?

• 1:05:10Speaker 02

  I wouldn't wanna, I wouldn't wanna, uh

• 1:05:12Adam Friedland?

Is there some, what, have you made amends?

• 1:05:14Speaker 02

I mean, I made amends, whatever, you know, once you get sober, you gotta, you gotta do that thing.

• 1:05:18Adam Friedland?

You gotta like hit up Drake and be like, I think you're a good guy, actually.

• 1:05:20Speaker 02

Yeah. I'm not Drake, I've never met Drake or anything.

• 1:05:24Adam Friedland?

  You've never met him?

• 1:05:24Speaker 02

  Mm.

• 1:05:25Adam Friedland?

  We gotta chill with him.

• 1:05:27Speaker 02

  Yeah.

• 1:05:27Adam Friedland?

It's so incredible he got to be famous.

• 1:05:33Speaker 02

  How is that?

• 1:05:34Adam Friedland?

  Cause he's like

• 1:05:34Speaker 02

Oh, because he gives all you, all you Jewish guys

• 1:05:37Adam Friedland?

  It's our dream.

• 1:05:38Speaker 02

  Hope.

• 1:05:39Adam Friedland?

It's our number one dream. It, it was so meaningful to me.

• 1:05:43Speaker 02

  What about Jack Harlow?

• 1:05:45Adam Friedland?

  He's Jewish?

• 1:05:45Speaker 02

  It, I mean, it, oh.

• 1:05:49Speaker 02

  I don't know.

• 1:05:50Adam Friedland?

What are you looking at him knowing everyone who's Jewish? No, he's not Jewish. He's not on my list.

• 1:05:56Speaker 02

  Okay.

• 1:05:56Adam Friedland?

  Shinbliss.

• 1:05:57Speaker 02

  Who watch some Jewish rappers?

• 1:06:00Adam Friedland?

  Hmm, Bob Dylan technically.

• 1:06:02Speaker 02

Yeah, I can say Bob Dylan. Bob Dylan had some bars.

• 1:06:06Adam Friedland?

Yeah. Subserated, uh, I don't know, we shouldn't, we shouldn't talk about Jewish anymore.

• 1:06:12Speaker 02

  Okay.

• 1:06:12Adam Friedland?

I don't want to talk about it anymore. I'm sick of it.

• 1:06:16Adam Friedland?

  I wish I could quit.

• 1:06:20Adam Friedland?

I looked at foreskin reattachment, you know that?

• 1:06:23Speaker 02

Why would you want to do that?

• 1:06:24Adam Friedland?

Cause the, BB was being such an ass.

• 1:06:27Speaker 02

  You can do that though?

• 1:06:28Adam Friedland?

  Apparently, but you don't regain.

• 1:06:29Speaker 02

It ain't gonna, that shit gonna look, man, what?

• 1:06:31Adam Friedland?

Regain all the, uh, sensitivity. It'd be cool if I got a different color, right?

• 1:06:35Speaker 02

  I guess you could, um...

• 1:06:37Adam Friedland?

Imagine if I had a different color at the end, helmet?

• 1:06:39Speaker 02

You can, you can get the style, a different style.

• 1:06:42Adam Friedland?

  Different style.

• 1:06:42Speaker 02

You can get a style like pick your...

• 1:06:44Adam Friedland?

  Switch your shit up.

• 1:06:45Speaker 02

Yeah, like, go hoodie or turtleneck.

• 1:06:47Adam Friedland?

  Yeah, yeah, yeah.

• 1:06:50Adam Friedland?

If I would be an intellectual, he'd be like a beatnik.

• 1:06:52Speaker 02

You can get like, you know what I'm saying, wanna leave it, extra skin right here, you know?

• 1:06:56Adam Friedland?

  Yeah, yeah, get a little...

• 1:06:57Speaker 02

I'm all down for dick surgery, man.

• 1:06:59Adam Friedland?

  Yeah.

• 1:06:59Speaker 02

  I'm all down with it.

• 1:07:00Adam Friedland?

  I'm too scared.

• 1:07:01Speaker 02

Like, if I, I don't give a fuck, if I, if I get to like 60, be like, fuck it, just give me the long dong silver.

• 1:07:06Adam Friedland?

  Yeah, yeah, just a...

• 1:07:06Speaker 02

And just stay hard all the time.

• 1:07:08Adam Friedland?

  Yeah, yeah.

• 1:07:10Speaker 02

I don't gotta have no feeling in it.

• 1:07:11Adam Friedland?

  Yeah, yeah.

• 1:07:13Speaker 02

That's the only reason, that's the only reason why I work out.

• 1:07:16Adam Friedland?

  Really?

• 1:07:16Speaker 02

Is just to be able to fuck when I'm in my 60s.

• 1:07:18Adam Friedland?

Yeah, it's true. I, cause I, I, I did realize, like, I would always think that, like, if you can't have sex anymore, you...

• 1:07:24Speaker 02

That's why they, that's why you see old people and they be angry all the time at me, cause they ain't fucking.

• 1:07:28Adam Friedland?

They got the, you could just take a thing though.

• 1:07:30Speaker 02

But, nah, I mean, yeah, but it's all about your physical prowess.

• 1:07:35Adam Friedland?

Yeah, but my grandma's doing unspeakable things.

• 1:07:37Speaker 02

You know, like, I told you, these hill, these hill country, these motherfuckers, oh, and in shape.

• 1:07:43Adam Friedland?

So you think that they're having key parties?

• 1:07:45Speaker 02

  They definitely getting freaky.

• 1:07:46Adam Friedland?

  Yeah, really?

• 1:07:47Speaker 02

  Mm-hmm.

• 1:07:47Adam Friedland?

And they're judging your ass for being a rapper?

• 1:07:49Speaker 02

No, they don't judge me, they like that shit.

• 1:07:51Adam Friedland?

  They like you.

• 1:07:51Speaker 02

Because they like, man, he cool.

• 1:07:52Adam Friedland?

  Yeah.

• 1:07:53Speaker 02

You know, and then they know, like, um, they know I got sober and all that kinda shit, so...

• 1:07:58Adam Friedland?

  So they're impressed?

• 1:07:59Speaker 02

Yeah, I mean, they just, they know I'm not partying or I don't know wild shit.

• 1:08:02Adam Friedland?

  Yeah.

• 1:08:02Speaker 02

  Always cool.

• 1:08:03Adam Friedland?

  Jeff?

• 1:08:04Speaker 02

I mean, cause you know, I guess a rapper moved to your neighborhood, you think he's gonna be having parties and shit or something, I don't know.

• 1:08:10Adam Friedland?

Yeah, it's true. Freak-offs perhaps, baby oil.

• 1:08:12Speaker 02

  I mean.

• 1:08:13Adam Friedland?

  Were you ever invited to?

• 1:08:15Speaker 02

  I was never that cool.

• 1:08:17Adam Friedland?

You were, it was cool to, I agree.

• 1:08:20Speaker 02

I don't think I was cool enough for the freak-off.

• 1:08:21Adam Friedland?

  I would've been like, I did it.

• 1:08:23Speaker 02

  You know?

• 1:08:23Adam Friedland?

  I'm freak-off level now.

• 1:08:24Speaker 02

  Yeah.

• 1:08:25Adam Friedland?

  I'm white party freak-off level.

• 1:08:26Speaker 02

Sometimes you gotta do shit for the story.

• 1:08:28Adam Friedland?

  Yeah, of course.

• 1:08:29Speaker 02

  You know?

• 1:08:30Adam Friedland?

Yeah, did you know that stuff was happening?

• 1:08:31Speaker 02

Fuck no, but I was definitely entertained by the trial.

• 1:08:35Adam Friedland?

  Yeah, it was pretty good.

• 1:08:36Speaker 02

  Yeah, I was tapped in.

• 1:08:39Adam Friedland?

What was your favorite, what was your favorite little moment?

• 1:08:43Speaker 02

I'm just, I mean, to be honest, like the way it all started out and how much was said and what the allegation like, you know? Like you thought it was way more like crazier than just to find out he was just hiding behind curtains and a hijab, jacking off, squirting baby oil at motherfuckers, you know what I'm saying? We thought it was like huge orgies with all famous people and politicians, but no, this nigga was just jerking off in a hijab, squirting oil on niggas.

• 1:09:08Adam Friedland?

  It's basically like?

• 1:09:09Speaker 02

Yeah, now you doing fine, I would, that's the worst jail time.

• 1:09:11Adam Friedland?

If you filmed that, that's Jackass 4, you know?

• 1:09:16Adam Friedland?

Now you gotta, you gotta jail for it?

• 1:09:18Speaker 02

But, I mean, he was beating on bitches and shit.

• 1:09:20Adam Friedland?

He was, yeah, that was not good.

• 1:09:21Speaker 02

  So, no.

• 1:09:22Adam Friedland?

  Yeah.

• 1:09:22Speaker 02

  But, but what they said?

• 1:09:25Adam Friedland?

  Jerking off baby oil.

• 1:09:26Speaker 02

What the rumors was that was happening versus what was presented in the courtroom is, is two different worlds.

• 1:09:32Adam Friedland?

Well, I, I heard that he was having sex with the dad from, uh?

• 1:09:35Speaker 02

  Yeah, like all these rumors.

• 1:09:36Adam Friedland?

  The dad from Urkel's show.

• 1:09:38Speaker 02

  Yeah, and then?

• 1:09:39Adam Friedland?

  Yeah, Carl Winslow.

• 1:09:39Speaker 02

TD Jakes and all that shit like, but it was none of that. It was none of that when you heard, he just hiring?

• 1:09:44Adam Friedland?

So he didn't have sex with Carl Winslow?

• 1:09:46Speaker 02

I don't know. I don't know, but I'm saying that wasn't in the trial. None of that shit was?

• 1:09:51Adam Friedland?

Go home, Steve. Imagine walking out of the room and he goes, "Go home, Steve." That's like for the shit of Urkel.

• 1:09:56Speaker 02

Carl Winslow, imagine Carl Winslow don't, ain't never met Diddy in his motherfucking life, he just chilling at the crib. And all of a sudden he's just look up, everybody talking about he fucked, Diddy fucked him. He like, "What the fuck is going on right here, man?" You give them saying, "Niggas believe it." And motherfuckers believe this shit, like you still, if that shit happened, you- People that rumor been out, what I'm just saying, like, I feel bad for him. You gotta have some sympathy for the guy, like, he ain't like, he like, I'm crazy, A-list actor, like, he working all the time. Who knows if he trying to get new jobs and shit now, like, he like, man, I've been doing all this shit, they thinking I fucking Diddy at the free calls. Like, who came up with that?

• 1:10:31Adam Friedland?

It's like, it's such a random guy, and I believe it.

• 1:10:32Speaker 02

That's what I'm saying, that's why I feel bad for him, cuz I don't believe that shit.

• 1:10:35Adam Friedland?

Of course he fucked Carl Winslow.

• 1:10:36Speaker 02

I don't believe that shit, man. I don't believe that shit, no, man.

• 1:10:40Adam Friedland?

It's so easy to believe anything you're told these days.

• 1:10:43Speaker 02

Yeah, especially after hearing the trial, Diddy ain't fucking, I'm just saying, I feel, just imagine Carl Winslow just chilling at the crib, and you just on Twitter, like, oh. His mentions just start going crazy, he getting memes and shit, he like, oh, it's not true. Like, that kinda shit make motherfuckers jump off bridges and shit, man.

• 1:11:02Adam Friedland?

  It's so not fair.

• 1:11:05Speaker 02

Like, I feel bad, like, duh, that's why I'm off social media, duh, that's why I'm done with that shit, man. I don't wanna know. And then just imagine if you is a motherfucker that's off social media, you ain't watching, you don't even know these allegations is out here, then you, you just hanging out at your pole, like, niggas looking at you crazy, like. Everybody giving me the whine now, like, what's going on?

• 1:11:23Adam Friedland?

He just doesn't even know that people think that.

• 1:11:25Speaker 02

Somebody just say, somebody get bold and say some weird shit to you, you're like, what the fuck is going on?

• 1:11:30Adam Friedland?

People are like, snickering, looking at you?

• 1:11:32Speaker 02

  Yeah.

• 1:11:32Adam Friedland?

Be like, come on, dude. That's amazing, I think that's.

• 1:11:36Speaker 02

That's why I hate the internet.

• 1:11:37Adam Friedland?

  Yeah, I hate it too.

• 1:11:38Speaker 02

And no one does any fact checking to find out, ain't nobody checked on their home and see, ain't nobody see, I'm checking on Carl, see how he doing, man.

• 1:11:44Adam Friedland?

All right, if he wants to come on the show.
