Anyways, I want to take a quick break to thank a sponsor of today's episode.

• 1:53Connor Wood?

Hey guys, welcome back to Brooke and Connor Make a Podcast. I'm so excited to be here. Brooke, how are you? Good. Yeah. Yeah. You're exuding good. Yeah, I am.

• 2:02Brooke Averick?

  Sorry.

• 2:03Connor Wood?

  No.

• 2:09Brooke Averick?

  Stop.

• 2:09Connor Wood?

You have to quit that right now.

• 2:10Brooke Averick?

Do not copy me. I told you right before we started.

• 2:13Connor Wood?

I have gotten on to you so many times about this.

• 2:17Brooke Averick?

  I said.

• 2:17Connor Wood?

  Let a woman talk.

• 2:20Connor Wood?

  For once.

• 2:39Brooke Averick?

What if I just didn't talk the whole episode?

• 2:42Connor Wood?

I mean, we would make do because if that is your, it is, if that is your journey, who am I to put?

• 2:47Brooke Averick?

There was one episode recently, I, I looked at the clock and it was 46 minutes and I hadn't said anything.

• 2:52Connor Wood?

  There's no way.

• 2:53Brooke Averick?

I swear to God, I swear.

• 2:55Connor Wood?

I don't have that much to say.

• 2:56Brooke Averick?

You do, believe it or not.

• 2:57Connor Wood?

  I do.

• 2:58Brooke Averick?

Which I'm thankful for, but I was trying to tell Connor.

• 3:02Connor Wood?

Put a cork in it, mister.

• 3:03Brooke Averick?

  There's no way.

• 3:06Connor Wood?

I was trying to tell Connor what?

• 3:08Brooke Averick?

Before the episode and you said you don't care about anything unless the podcast, the mics are rolling.

• 3:14Connor Wood?

Yeah, because I, I feel a little bit under the weather.

• 3:16Brooke Averick?

Connor said, I tried to open my mouth earlier. He said, I do not want to hear anything you have to say until the mic is on.

• 3:21Connor Wood?

Let's just save it for the day.

• 3:23Brooke Averick?

I, like, instead of trying to fight it, I'm just going to embrace it. Like, I am in the worst.

• 3:28Connor Wood?

  Don't take your loafers off.

• 3:29Brooke Averick?

I'm taking my loafers off. I need to make myself more comfortable. I have a crick in my neck that I've had for over a week, since my flight over a week ago. I feel like I've been getting sick for a week. I'm so grumpy for no reason. Just everything's pissing me off. I, it, and it's hit its peak today.

• 3:45Connor Wood?

  We're peaking?

• 3:46Brooke Averick?

I'm completely peaking. It's been a steady rise ever since last Tuesday. And on my way out of my driveway, the, my mirror smashed into my window as it does every day. But today, I literally, I slammed on the brakes. I said, no way. And then I just shut down.

• 4:04Connor Wood?

Not to like. Pounce on you. I really, truly don't feel, are you, I feel like your mic needs to be closer.

• 4:11Brooke Averick?

I wouldn't give me, I wouldn't give me any sort of constructive feedback.

• 4:14Connor Wood?

Out of all days, like I don't want to tell you, but like, it's pretty far away.

• 4:18Brooke Averick?

If I were you, if I were you, I would lay off the horn, but I appreciate it.

• 4:25Connor Wood?

Um, so what is, like, is the mirror gone, or?

• 4:28Brooke Averick?

No, it's, I mean, I do it every day, but today of all days, it was just like that, this is one step too far.

• 4:35Connor Wood?

Uh, like, it is truly, it's gonna be one of those days where your phone falls in between your seat and your center console.

• 4:39Brooke Averick?

Yep. It's like the smallest things, it's like, why is this happening to me? Hit my head on the cabinet, why, like, how, why do bad things happen to good people?

• 4:54Connor Wood?

It, it will pay off in the long run. I think these are, this is like paying rent, like every now and then six horrible things happen to you and you go, I have to kill myself in 10 minutes.

• 5:01Brooke Averick?

  This is like.

• 5:02Connor Wood?

But then, something really good happens, or something average that feels good because you hit your head on the cabinet.

• 5:07Brooke Averick?

But it's worse when there's like no circumstance, like I have nothing to blame this on besides like whatever's going on in my body that's making me feel this way.

• 5:15Connor Wood?

  Um.

• 5:16Brooke Averick?

Like Oscar the Grouch, but worse.

• 5:18Connor Wood?

Did Oscar have a past and that's why he was living in the trash can, or what's going on?

• 5:22Brooke Averick?

I think, I think so. Have you ever seen Elmo and Grouchland?

• 5:26Connor Wood?

  Yeah.

• 5:27Brooke Averick?

  It's the best movie ever.

• 5:28Connor Wood?

It's really good, it's really special.

• 5:29Brooke Averick?

That's my Letterboxd five, or three.

• 5:31Connor Wood?

How does no one, how do you not, like, I feel like that's a question I could ask you and know that you would know the answer.

• 5:36Brooke Averick?

  Oscar's past?

• 5:37Connor Wood?

  What?

• 5:38Brooke Averick?

  I don't.

• 5:38Connor Wood?

What circumstances led him to the can?

• 5:42Brooke Averick?

Oscar is grouchy because he's a grouch.

• 5:44Connor Wood?

  Okay.

• 5:44Brooke Averick?

  Oh.

• 5:45Connor Wood?

Thank you so much for, for that.

• 5:46Brooke Averick?

A species of monster that finds happiness in things others find miserable, like trash and bad weather.

• 5:51Connor Wood?

Oh, so he's happy? Oh, perspective is everything.

• 5:55Brooke Averick?

His grumpiness is a source of humor and a key part of his character.

• 5:58Connor Wood?

  That's true.

• 5:58Brooke Averick?

As he's designed to be the opposite of the upbeat charac, he's a foil. He's designed to be the opposite of the upbeat characters on Sesame Street. He's a freaking foil. While some theories suggest his demeanor reflects social issues or his living situation, at its core, Oscar's grouchyness is simply who he is.

• 6:13Connor Wood?

Here's the thing, when you're in a pissed off mood and everyone's in a good mood and it's like, you are being a super, I'm being a foil. That's what I'm being, I'm providing this, this source of like.

• 6:24Connor Wood?

Um, contrast to all of you. I'm being a foil for you right now.

• 6:28Brooke Averick?

  Yeah.

• 6:29Connor Wood?

So like, I think it's okay to be irritable.

• 6:30Brooke Averick?

You know the I love trash song?

• 6:32Connor Wood?

  Sing it for me.

• 6:33Brooke Averick?

Uh, I don't really remember it that well, but it's I love trash.

• 6:38Connor Wood?

  Oh, okay.

• 6:39Brooke Averick?

Like anything dirty or dusty or rusty. Anything, any nasty.

• 6:46Connor Wood?

Right. You said two words out of that whole thing. The rest is just humming.

• 6:50Brooke Averick?

  I wasn't humming.

• 6:52Connor Wood?

  Yeah.

• 6:54Brooke Averick?

  It's not humming.

• 6:54Connor Wood?

It's a hybrid of humming and.

• 6:55Brooke Averick?

  That's not humming.

• 6:56Connor Wood?

  What is it?

• 6:57Brooke Averick?

  Scatting.

• 6:58Connor Wood?

Oh, my bad. Um, and you wore your loafers today. I like that you wore loafers with, like, the hoodie. You dressed up the hoodie. That's not an attack on your character.

• 7:11Brooke Averick?

  It's a nice hoodie. It's just not.

• 7:12Connor Wood?

  It is a nice hoodie.

• 7:13Brooke Averick?

  It's not a hoodie.

• 7:14Connor Wood?

It's a zip up jacket with a hood on it.

• 7:16Brooke Averick?

It's like a zip up. It's like nice.

• 7:17Connor Wood?

Is it me or their vibes 200% off right now?

• 7:21Brooke Averick?

And like I want, like, yes, the vibes are gonna be off in an amazing way today.

• 7:25Connor Wood?

  We're foiling today.

• 7:25Brooke Averick?

So just get ahead of, I'm just getting ahead of it.

• 7:27Connor Wood?

I walked in and I was like, I have a fever, my head hurts, my throat hurts. And she goes, I'm fucking angry. And I was like, okay, but this'll be great.

• 7:33Brooke Averick?

This is going to be so amazing.

• 7:34Connor Wood?

I wanna say every time I've worn my loafers, something bad has happened to me. But every time someone else is wearing loafers in the same room, the world turns in our favor. So that's why I'm excited.

• 7:46Brooke Averick?

I like my, I like my loafers a lot.

• 7:48Connor Wood?

I was, I was wearing mine a lot until we got out to Raleigh, North Carolina.

• 7:53Brooke Averick?

Oh, that's when you were gay.

• 7:54Connor Wood?

And that was, that was when I was, when, when a group of young men yelled a slur at me while I was waiting for the Uber. Um, and Maggie, Maggie was like, hey, we're, I'm gonna fight you. And I was like, let's just get in the car, cause there's six of them.

• 8:06Brooke Averick?

That breaks my heart that you haven't worn your loafer since.

• 8:10Connor Wood?

They give me blisters. I, I'm, I'm okay. I'm okay otherwise.

• 8:15Brooke Averick?

What would you call what's on your feet now? Your wicker slip-ons?

• 8:18Connor Wood?

  I think they're chancletas.

• 8:20Brooke Averick?

  Chancletas?

• 8:20Connor Wood?

  Yeah.

• 8:21Brooke Averick?

  Hi, chanclet.

• 8:22Connor Wood?

  Chao.

• 8:24Connor Wood?

Um, yeah, someone told me what they were called. They're, they're from Mexico. Um, chamula.

• 8:29Brooke Averick?

Like you went to Mex, you got them in Mexico?

• 8:31Connor Wood?

Yeah. I got them in Mexico.

• 8:33Brooke Averick?

  Nice.

• 8:34Connor Wood?

  Yeah, in San Juan.

• 8:35Brooke Averick?

Do you wanna hear the one thing that I had on the docket to talk about today?

• 8:38Connor Wood?

  Yeah.

• 8:39Brooke Averick?

You know those bracelets where you smack them on your wrists and they snap bracelets or whatever?

• 8:44Connor Wood?

  Yeah.

• 8:45Brooke Averick?

  Guess what's inside of them?

• 8:47Connor Wood?

  Um, lithium.

• 8:49Brooke Averick?

No, it's a tape measure. Sure.

• 8:52Connor Wood?

  Really?

• 8:52Brooke Averick?

  Yeah.

• 8:53Connor Wood?

They, they didn't... What is the purpose of that?

• 8:57Brooke Averick?

That's just the material that's inside.

• 9:00Connor Wood?

Is it an actual tape measure?

• 9:01Brooke Averick?

Yes, cuz that's the kind of thing that goes like that.

• 9:03Connor Wood?

  But why did they have-

• 9:04Brooke Averick?

That's the kind of thing that goes-

• 9:05Connor Wood?

Why does it have to be a tape measure? Why didn't they just-

• 9:06Brooke Averick?

It doesn't, that's just that, like, that's what does the action.

• 9:10Connor Wood?

I know, but they cut it open and it's actually, it's already, are they repurposing tape measures?

• 9:14Brooke Averick?

  It don't work there.

• 9:17Connor Wood?

  You brought it up.

• 9:21Brooke Averick?

  Do not work there Connor.

• 9:23Connor Wood?

Ugh. It is so, I'm sorry, it's so, it's so hot in here.

• 9:26Brooke Averick?

  No, it's not.

• 9:27Connor Wood?

Do your research, it's not, I'm, I'm sick.

• 9:29Brooke Averick?

  It's not.

• 9:30Connor Wood?

I'm in a good mood though. I'm pretty chipper. If you were sick you'd be, leave me alone, I feel, I feel so bad. Um.

• 9:39Brooke Averick?

That's all I had to say today.

• 9:40Connor Wood?

  Also, I...

• 9:44Connor Wood?

I started out today with a phone call from my parents, then so chipper. "Hey, what are you doing?" I'm like, "It's 9 a.m. on a, on a Tuesday, on a Wednesday, I'm heading to, heading to Clock End at the office." But it's just, it's okay, I saw this bit, and who did it? Nick Kroll has this bit on...

• 10:04Connor Wood?

  There-

• 10:04Brooke Averick?

  Yeah.

• 10:05Connor Wood?

He, he gets a call from his mom-

• 10:07Brooke Averick?

  Yeah.

• 10:08Connor Wood?

And he's like, "I'm gonna do an impression of everyone in this room getting a call from their mother." Fuck. And it's so true, it's like, obviously-

• 10:15Brooke Averick?

Let me quote that bit for you, cuz that's the one thing I can quote.

• 10:17Connor Wood?

  Okay, go ahead.

• 10:19Brooke Averick?

  Um...

• 10:21Brooke Averick?

Her, his mom calls, and then she had some newspaper clipping that she clipped for him on the, um, art deco movement, because she knows he really likes art. And he said, "Mom, that's my least favorite type of movement, of art movement," or something like that.

• 10:35Connor Wood?

  Architectural movement.

• 10:35Brooke Averick?

And then architectural movement. And then, his dad calls and is like, "Sorry, man, I've gotta miss your soccer game, I don't wanna go." And then he's like, "That's okay, I love you daddy."

• 10:45Connor Wood?

It's true, except both, both my, both my parents or my mom in that situation, cuz they do wanna chat.

• 10:50Brooke Averick?

Aw, your parents that love you.

• 10:52Connor Wood?

  Yeah.

• 10:54Brooke Averick?

  Poor baby with gird.

• 10:55Connor Wood?

  I didn't, I'm not complaining.

• 10:57Brooke Averick?

  They're really sweet.

• 10:58Connor Wood?

  They are really sweet.

• 10:59Brooke Averick?

  It just, it's just like.

• 11:01Connor Wood?

No, it didn't make me upset at all, but it's like, no, it didn't piss me off or make me upset.

• 11:07Connor Wood?

Oh my gosh, he's called Grouch be- because he is Grouch. What was the explanation for Grouch? I need to start saying that all the time.

• 11:15Brooke Averick?

He finds pleasure in things that make people unhappy.

• 11:17Connor Wood?

The first line was like, he's Grouch because he's Grouch, so.

• 11:21Brooke Averick?

  Yeah.

• 11:21Connor Wood?

They, they went crazy for you too.

• 11:26Connor Wood?

Oscar the Grouch is grouchy because of his upbringing in Grouchland.

• 11:30Brooke Averick?

Yeah. Where to be is to Grouch. I like to need to be in Grouchland today.

• 11:37Connor Wood?

Wait, he has an ingrained different set of values. You never know what someone is going through or they're, where they were being up, up, up round. Like in Grouchland.

• 11:46Brooke Averick?

He's like trying like to be a good person because to him being a good person is being a Grouch. Like he's not a bad person at all.

• 11:54Connor Wood?

  He's being a good Grouch.

• 11:55Brooke Averick?

He's a different set of values.

• 11:56Connor Wood?

  Different set of values.

• 11:58Brooke Averick?

  Yeah.

• 11:59Connor Wood?

Sesame Street is like pretty on it.

• 12:05Brooke Averick?

  I loved Oscar the Grouch.

• 12:07Connor Wood?

I didn't dislike him, but I was like a little bit like, okay.

• 12:10Brooke Averick?

And Big Bird pissed me off. Cause he was like so like, I'm Big Bird, like very like chipper, like too much. He was like too in your face.

• 12:20Connor Wood?

  Yeah.

• 12:21Brooke Averick?

You know? But I loved Oscar and the Count.

• 12:25Connor Wood?

  Big Bird would stomp you.

• 12:27Brooke Averick?

If he heard me say something like that.

• 12:30Connor Wood?

He's like eight, eight and a half feet tall.

• 12:31Brooke Averick?

I think he came to my birthday party.

• 12:33Connor Wood?

Eight feet, two inches. He would, he would, he would not even see you. He would, you'd be turned into mush.

• 12:38Brooke Averick?

  He went to Middlebury College.

• 12:42Brooke Averick?

Oh no, sorry. It's, that height is consistently cited by the official sources like Sesame Street, Britannica and Middlebury College. Someone at Middlebury College is like in a room was like Big Bird's eight feet, two inches and that's that.

• 12:57Connor Wood?

Now it's, now it's the official site.

• 12:59Brooke Averick?

Yeah, that's interesting. I didn't know they had those capabilities at Middlebury College.

• 13:03Connor Wood?

Well, isn't it a real life puppet? They're just measuring the puppet?

• 13:07Brooke Averick?

  Yeah.

• 13:09Brooke Averick?

Right, like, why does it have to be like, just, just tell us?

• 13:12Connor Wood?

I wanna know, um, how you end up with the job for Big Bird. Is the person that's inside of his body, is, are they doing the voice?

• 13:21Brooke Averick?

Is there someone inside, or is there someone handling the puppet?

• 13:25Connor Wood?

No, there's a man, there's a man inside his body.

• 13:29Brooke Averick?

  Yeah.

• 13:29Connor Wood?

Oh, and it's that dude that scares me. It's that dude that scares me. From, from, uh-

• 13:33Brooke Averick?

  I thought he was Elmo.

• 13:34Connor Wood?

  Look, it's him.

• 13:37Connor Wood?

I think he's past. I am Big Bird, the man in mechanics under the yellow feathers.

• 13:42Brooke Averick?

That's a documentary waiting to happen. Do you like documentaries?

• 13:47Connor Wood?

  Of course.

• 13:48Brooke Averick?

I watched the most tragic one last night, but it was so good. It was called, something about your neighbor. The Perfect Neighbor, I think. Oh my god, it was devastating, but very, like, important and good.

• 14:04Connor Wood?

  Do you wanna explain?

• 14:05Brooke Averick?

Um, basically, there's this, yeah, The Perfect Neighbor.

• 14:12Brooke Averick?

I don't, like, wanna spoil it, but also it's not necessarily like a big spoiler thing, but this, like, evil woman who just, like, hates joy in, like, a derogatory way, not an Oscar the Grouch, Different Values type of way. Like, she's an evil woman, and like, these, the neighborhood kids, like, love to play on this, like, empty plot of grass near her house, and she calls the police every single time, she throws shit at them, and they're, like, just kids. And, like, one of their moms is like, "I've had enough, like, you can't treat my kids this way." And then a, a violent event occurs, and it's just like, that's all, there's a lot of police cam, body cam footage as well.

• 14:54Connor Wood?

  Whoa.

• 14:55Brooke Averick?

And it's, it's just, like, I can't believe that there's a person like this, that exists. That just fundamentally is, like, evil and hates joy. I mean, I can believe it, but it's just, like, crazy to see as, like, not an actor, you know? This was, like, a real evil person.

• 15:11Connor Wood?

The, the more I travel to places in the United States, the more I, like, I can't believe there's not more.

• 15:17Brooke Averick?

  More evils?

• 15:17Connor Wood?

Yeah, cuz these people are, they walk among us. I, I see these people every day.

• 15:22Brooke Averick?

Wait till you see this person.

• 15:24Connor Wood?

I watched one last night, and it was on, um, D-Day.

• 15:29Brooke Averick?

  Tell us about D-Day.

• 15:32Connor Wood?

Mmm, I was on my phone the whole time, but they stormed the beaches of Normandy.

• 15:37Brooke Averick?

They so did. No, they so did.

• 15:39Connor Wood?

  Okay.

• 15:40Brooke Averick?

  Yeah.

• 15:43Brooke Averick?

Did you stick your tongue out?

• 15:45Connor Wood?

I'm sorry, I shouldn't be, I should give you my tongue and my mouth during the Normandy conversation. The Normandy landings were the landing operations associated with airborne operations on June 6th, 1944. That's my sister's birthday, not 1944.

• 15:58Brooke Averick?

Was this what Dunkirk was about? Was Dunkirk about D-Day?

• 16:03Connor Wood?

Was Dunkirk about D-Day? We are, our computer's gonna explode today.

• 16:08Brooke Averick?

No, the movie Dunkirk is not about D-Day.

• 16:10Connor Wood?

It's not about D-Day at all.

• 16:11Brooke Averick?

It's about a different WWII event. Okay. The evacuation of Allied soldiers from the beaches of Dunkirk. Okay. But I was, beaches and WWII, I was pretty much right on.

• 16:22Connor Wood?

We don't even have to have that conversation.

• 16:26Connor Wood?

We can leave D-Day alone now. I didn't, I didn't really pay attention, but it was cool to see. There's so much technology now that can do stuff, so.

• 16:35Brooke Averick?

Sorry that I was so mean to you earlier. I'm in a horrible mood.

• 16:38Connor Wood?

It's okay. I'm just, at least I'm getting ahead of the, their vibes are 200% off in the Kelly Clarkson's comments that were coming.

• 16:46Brooke Averick?

  Yeah.

• 16:48Connor Wood?

I was gonna say, I was in, I was, sorry, I had shows in Phoenix and San Diego this weekend.

• 16:55Brooke Averick?

  Yeah.

• 16:55Connor Wood?

And I was in Phoenix, we had two shows in Phoenix, and I was, I was on, I took to the streets, basically, just to hawk some tickets to people that were out and about in Phoenix. And the thing about downtown Phoenix is.

• 17:08Brooke Averick?

  What do you mean?

• 17:09Connor Wood?

Uh, there's, there were tickets available, so I was like, I'm gonna go, I'm gonna go film some promo for the shows. Cause the thing that happens for my shows is I have shows and then everyone DMs me day of the show, I had no idea you were coming.

• 17:21Brooke Averick?

  Interesting.

• 17:22Connor Wood?

And it's posted online everywhere, so, but no worries. So I do post like day of and day before a lot, where it's like, "Phoenix, I'm in town." Because the day I leave places too, they're like, "Mmm, so you hate Phoenix." It's like, I was there last, the past few days, but, so I was on the street, like, seeing if there's tourists or something that like, don't have anything to do tonight. "Come to my show, I'm performing here, I'm on the poster, this is me." And so I did a couple of those and no one was able to make it.

• 17:52Connor Wood?

From the streets, but someone on TikTok saw me.

• 17:58Connor Wood?

Going person to person on boots on the ground style and selling tickets via word of mouth. And she made a TikTok. She, she made a TikTok. She made a get ready with me TikTok. I think her name's Elena. Thank you Elena. Um, genuine from my heart. She came to the show. Do you want to hear the TikTok?

• 18:15Brooke Averick?

  Yeah.

• 18:19Speaker 00

I'm gonna put my lipstick on when we get there. Actually, this lighting is really good, but I saw him begging, panhandling on the street, saying, please sir, come to my show.

• 18:33Brooke Averick?

  Begging and

• 18:34Connor Wood?

  Panhandling.

• 18:35Brooke Averick?

Panhandling on the street, on his knees, begging, please come to my show.

• 18:39Connor Wood?

Beg, back, just panhandling, begging people, like, please sir, come to my show.

• 18:44Brooke Averick?

  Please, I'm begging.

• 18:45Connor Wood?

And I, I straight up was panhandling, like hat on the ground, like tap dancing, please come to my, uh, didn't move any, didn't move a ton of tickets.

• 18:53Brooke Averick?

You got her and that's all that matters.

• 18:54Connor Wood?

I got Elena, yeah, I got Elena out of it.

• 18:55Brooke Averick?

That is all that matters at the end of the day.

• 18:57Connor Wood?

Oh my gosh, it was so funny. That was like the funniest thing ever. And I was talking to her at the show and she was so sweet. She posted like four TikToks, getting ready, going to the show. And no one ever does that for my shows. I'm always wondering like, what's the, what are people wearing? You know, like, what's everybody doing?

• 19:14Connor Wood?

And then we were talking at the show.

• 19:17Connor Wood?

I don't know if I should share this, but like, she's a big TikToker. She loves making TikToks. So it was really, yeah, no, I was like, this is so funny. And so I got to play that at the show and everyone was laughing. Uh, by the way.

• 19:28Brooke Averick?

  In front of her?

• 19:30Connor Wood?

Yeah, well, I mean, we were laughing with Elena.

• 19:32Brooke Averick?

  Yeah.

• 19:33Connor Wood?

  On.

• 19:33Brooke Averick?

  You were laughing with her.

• 19:34Connor Wood?

Yeah, I was just, the, the description's there. It's like, I can't believe someone saw me doing that. And then cross-reference with my Instagram story. That I was panhandling in Phoenix. There's no shame in panhandling.

• 19:46Brooke Averick?

  No.

• 19:47Connor Wood?

And I'm good at it, too.

• 19:48Brooke Averick?

  I bet.

• 19:48Connor Wood?

I was hanging out with people, hugging people.

• 19:53Speaker 01

And downtown Phoenix, the thing about downtown Phoenix is it, just to describe it to you guys, so like no one really lives in downtown Phoenix. I like, they told me this.

• 21:02Brooke Averick?

Is that where the school is?

• 21:04Connor Wood?

  Uh, no, that's in Tempe.

• 21:06Brooke Averick?

  Tempe?

• 21:07Connor Wood?

  Tempe?

• 21:08Brooke Averick?

  I don't know. I've been there.

• 21:10Connor Wood?

  Temperun?

• 21:12Connor Wood?

  I don't know.

• 21:13Brooke Averick?

  Is it in Tucson?

• 21:16Connor Wood?

Yeah, in Tucson. No. What? What's in Tucson? U of A? U of A's in Tucson? I thought it was in Tempe.

• 21:23Brooke Averick?

  Probably why I've been there.

• 21:25Connor Wood?

  Oh, yeah. Yeah, probably.

• 21:27Brooke Averick?

  I'm from there.

• 21:28Connor Wood?

  You're from there?

• 21:29Brooke Averick?

  My dad lives there.

• 21:31Connor Wood?

Why did you ask me where I was?

• 21:33Brooke Averick?

Cause I didn't like, I wasn't, I know I've been there. I didn't know if it was right in Tucson or what. But I went there when I was visiting my dad in Tucson.

• 21:41Connor Wood?

  What's?

• 21:42Brooke Averick?

But also Phoenix is also kind of around there, I think. I don't know.

• 21:45Connor Wood?

It's all pretty, I think it's all pretty close. But downtown Phoenix is like a fake place. It looks like 3D printed and no one, it literally, like if you walk out of your hotel, it looks like Chernobyl just happened. And I slept through it. Like you're walking around and it's like, wait, am I the last person?

• 22:02Brooke Averick?

  Yeah.

• 22:02Connor Wood?

You know, and then you see people and you're like, oh.

• 22:04Brooke Averick?

  Interesting.

• 22:05Connor Wood?

I'm good. But that was fun. And then San Diego, we went down and stayed with Henry Hen.

• 22:10Brooke Averick?

  Hen.

• 22:11Connor Wood?

  H3.

• 22:12Brooke Averick?

Do you know if someone is like, I was with Henry this weekend, like I literally, it doesn't compute. Like to me, he is Henry, Henry, Henry. Like if someone says Henry, I'm like, I don't know who you're talking about.

• 22:21Connor Wood?

  HQ.

• 22:22Brooke Averick?

  That's H, that's HHH to you.

• 22:26Connor Wood?

It's so weird. I, I, there was, my whole life I went without knowing a Henry and then all of a sudden, suddenly and all at once, I have six Henrys. It's like you come into Henrys.

• 22:34Brooke Averick?

  Who besides Hen, Hen, Hen?

• 22:36Connor Wood?

  Hank.

• 22:36Brooke Averick?

  Oh, that's Hank.

• 22:38Connor Wood?

  Yeah, but like.

• 22:41Connor Wood?

Do you remember the longest time ago, we were talking about people with,

• 22:47Connor Wood?

like girlfriends that called the boyfriend their actual name?

• 22:51Brooke Averick?

  Yes, yes, yes.

• 22:52Connor Wood?

That no one else calls him. That was Mimi that was talking about.

• 22:55Brooke Averick?

Right, I know that. She was calling him Henry.

• 22:58Connor Wood?

I found out after a year of living with Hank that his name was Henry. Do you know that meme of that woman that's in a Starbucks or whatever and she's like, "Who are you?" I genuinely like, I was like, who have I been sharing a ceiling with? Roof.

• 23:13Brooke Averick?

  Wow.

• 23:14Connor Wood?

Isn't it weird that it's roof on the outside, but it's ceiling on the inside?

• 23:19Connor Wood?

  It is.

• 23:20Brooke Averick?

Well, here, get this. Not all ceilings are roofs, but all roofs are ceilings.

• 23:31Brooke Averick?

  Do you agree?

• 23:32Connor Wood?

  Yeah, I do.

• 23:33Brooke Averick?

  Me too.

• 23:33Connor Wood?

  I do agree with that.

• 23:34Brooke Averick?

I guess that's why they're called different things.

• 23:35Connor Wood?

I guess that's why they call it the blues.

• 23:37Brooke Averick?

Oh my god, I have the blues.

• 23:39Connor Wood?

  I know.

• 23:40Brooke Averick?

I guess that's why they call it.

• 23:42Connor Wood?

  The blues.

• 23:43Brooke Averick?

Oh, we have to plug things.

• 23:45Connor Wood?

Plug around. Oh, what is spicy in my eye? I didn't even eat this morning.

• 23:55Brooke Averick?

I've been, I've been needing eye drops so bad.

• 24:00Brooke Averick?

  Are you okay?

• 24:01Connor Wood?

It's gone. What the fuck was that?

• 24:03Brooke Averick?

I think you just poked yourself in the eye.

• 24:08Connor Wood?

The Grouch has a different set of values.

• 24:10Brooke Averick?

  Your hair looks good.

• 24:14Connor Wood?

Oh my god, I was just telling Izzy that I feel like such a slob today. I got this new volumizing texturizing spray.

• 24:19Brooke Averick?

No, you know who, your hair looks like slays.

• 24:21Connor Wood?

  Oh damn.

• 24:22Brooke Averick?

Yeah, with those like curtain bangs.

• 24:24Connor Wood?

Oh my gosh, I just got, I just had a heart murmur.

• 24:27Brooke Averick?

  Yeah.

• 24:27Connor Wood?

Brooke just compared me to slay.

• 24:29Brooke Averick?

  That's huge.

• 24:30Connor Wood?

That's completely changed the trajectory. Okay, now, there's gonna be like a full different vibe in this dude now.

• 24:36Brooke Averick?

Vibes will be 200% different, but.

• 24:41Brooke Averick?

So yes, we filmed a slasher video, which was amazing and some people might have gotten to live out their dream of, of playing a dead body on screen, or maybe not. It's hard to say. You'll have to watch to see what happens, but it's called All Podcasters Must Die. We're all in it. I'm in it. You're in it. Channing's in it. Tristine's in it. Everyone at TMG Studios is in it. Wumbo. It's at TMGstudios.tv and you can sign up to go watch it.

• 25:12Connor Wood?

  If you want to.

• 25:13Brooke Averick?

And there was a real life, not real life serial killer, but real actor that was hired to play the serial killer.

• 25:20Connor Wood?

  Who?

• 25:21Brooke Averick?

His name was Ben and he was like nine feet tall.

• 25:25Connor Wood?

  Ben.

• 25:25Brooke Averick?

And we had to like be like, we, we had to have like intimate scenes with him.

• 25:31Connor Wood?

  Intimate?

• 25:32Brooke Averick?

  And it was extremely intimate.

• 25:35Connor Wood?

  Intimate?

• 25:36Brooke Averick?

  Yeah.

• 25:37Connor Wood?

  That's hot.

• 25:38Brooke Averick?

  It was amazing.

• 25:39Connor Wood?

He's as tall as Big Bird.

• 25:40Brooke Averick?

He was like big, intimate with scenes with Big Bird vibes.

• 25:46Connor Wood?

My gosh, he can ruffle his feathers a little bit.

• 25:48Brooke Averick?

Come with me to get intimate with Big Bird.

• 25:52Connor Wood?

Big Bird was seen panhandling in Phoenix. It was disgusting.

• 25:58Brooke Averick?

It was amazing, but a little bit disgusting.

• 26:04Brooke Averick?

But I had a lot of fun.

• 26:05Connor Wood?

Come with me to shift the vibes to 200% off at the BNC studio.

• 26:08Brooke Averick?

Do you want to go off or on?

• 26:10Connor Wood?

  What do you mean?

• 26:11Brooke Averick?

  Vibes wise.

• 26:12Connor Wood?

I'd like to go on. I'd like to turn the vibes on.

• 26:15Brooke Averick?

No can do on my end champ.

• 26:17Connor Wood?

  Oh no, I think we're doing, I think we're doing A okay.

• 26:21Brooke Averick?

We also filmed something else. Do you want to plug?

• 26:23Connor Wood?

Yeah, we filmed another Hollywood Horror Nights YouTube video from last year. The vibes were 200% off. It was disgusting.

• 26:30Brooke Averick?

  It was so off.

• 26:31Connor Wood?

It was so weird, very awkward. Channing and Tatum came, or uh.

• 26:39Brooke Averick?

  It's his name's Tristan.

• 26:40Connor Wood?

Whoa. Channing and Trish came with us. So we had a little plus two action. It was fun. It was a really good time. It was very intimate.

• 26:48Brooke Averick?

It was so intimate in the shit room. Come with me to get intimate with Big Bird in the shit room.

• 26:56Brooke Averick?

That's a horrible fanfiction, just like waiting to happen.

• 27:00Connor Wood?

Yeah, it was, it was weird. I pulled a muscle in my back in a huge way.

• 27:03Brooke Averick?

I've, I'm, my neck is off.

• 27:06Connor Wood?

My neck, my back, my pussy, my crack.

• 27:08Brooke Averick?

That. I wonder if it's from horrors instead of the plane.

• 27:11Connor Wood?

No, there is a point of contention in that video where you see me. The, like, I think where I'm on camera, when I jumped a certain way, I probably elbowed you right in the face. Just based on your height alone, if we're in a haunted house together, you are getting every one of my joints is hitting you in the face.

• 27:28Brooke Averick?

Have you ever seen me and Brett standing next to each other, Brett Nystrom?

• 27:31Connor Wood?

  No.

• 27:33Brooke Averick?

Channing had her like 10K. Do you mind if I just like?

• 27:36Connor Wood?

  Stroke out?

• 27:37Brooke Averick?

Going in it. Like, I was literally just going in and out like a broken TV.

• 27:41Connor Wood?

You were talking about, you were talking about in it.

• 27:43Brooke Averick?

I was talking about in it. Um, Channing did a circus live event for her 10K. And I was part of the freak section for the freak show. And I was the world's smallest woman in the world.

• 27:55Connor Wood?

  I'm sure.

• 27:56Brooke Averick?

And Brett was the world's tallest man. And so we had to like stand next to each other and it was like genuinely like, this isn't even like, this is a freak, this is a freak show. My head comes up to his hip and my butt is at his, uh, knee armpits or knees.

• 28:14Connor Wood?

  That's a ceiling roof conversation.

• 28:16Brooke Averick?

  Yeah.

• 28:16Connor Wood?

The inside of your knee is just the ceiling and the outside is the roof.

• 28:18Brooke Averick?

We are in, me and Brett and I are in a long distance relationship. Like, I don't know how I can hear him.

• 28:25Brooke Averick?

He's on a different plane and I had never seen us like standing next to each other like that. And it was freakshow.com, American Horror Story, season four.

• 28:34Connor Wood?

If you're taking off on a plane. My gym just texted me. Should I see what they said?

• 28:38Brooke Averick?

  Yeah.

• 28:39Connor Wood?

If you're taking off on a plane, he'd be like, "Did your ears pop?" And you'd be like, "No." Three, two, one. Wait, yeah.

• 28:44Brooke Averick?

Exactly. He's in a different universe, stratosphere even. What'd they say?

• 28:50Connor Wood?

Then he just, he picks up my hotel gym so that we can make a workout together.

• 28:54Brooke Averick?

Wait, you're, so is this your trainer? Your trainer wants you to text pictures of your hotel gym so he can make you a custom workout?

• 29:01Connor Wood?

  He does.

• 29:02Brooke Averick?

Aw, I want a personal trainer.

• 29:04Connor Wood?

  Look into it.

• 29:06Brooke Averick?

I'm too, like, that's the pro- oh, look at me and Brett standing next to each other.

• 29:09Connor Wood?

Oh, that's, that looks like High School Musical.

• 29:12Brooke Averick?

  How so?

• 29:13Connor Wood?

Just the vibe. The vibes are 200% off.

• 29:16Brooke Averick?

Uh, Channing hired a balloon artist.

• 29:20Brooke Averick?

And she had the most amazing trick that she could do.

• 29:23Connor Wood?

  Did she swallow the balloon?

• 29:25Brooke Averick?

No, she said, "Pick any number between 1 and 20." And so I said, "Okay, 16." And then she said, "Okay," and then she blindfolded herself and I had to count

• 29:40Brooke Averick?

to 16. And she made a balloon animal, but she, like, was finished at 10. I think she was saying, I think the trick was that she could do it in 16 seconds.

• 29:50Connor Wood?

  Okay.

• 29:50Brooke Averick?

Exactly 16 seconds, because I said 16 seconds. But she did it in 10 and then was just like pretending to do it for another six, like fiddling with the balloon and like making it squeak for another six. And then she took her blind off, blindfold off and was like, "Done."

• 30:06Brooke Averick?

At 16. And I was like, "Yeah, it's amazing."

• 30:09Connor Wood?

  That's real incredible.

• 30:10Brooke Averick?

  Yeah.

• 30:11Connor Wood?

  But she didn't swallow it.

• 30:13Brooke Averick?

  Not yet.

• 30:14Connor Wood?

  Always disappointing.

• 30:15Brooke Averick?

  Yeah.

• 30:16Connor Wood?

I wanted to say something about people that wear loafers. They're either gonna be really cool or like the worst person you've ever met in your life.

• 30:22Brooke Averick?

  I totally get that.

• 30:22Connor Wood?

  You know what I mean?

• 30:23Brooke Averick?

  I totally do.

• 30:27Brooke Averick?

What do you think I am?

• 30:29Connor Wood?

You're sweet. You're a sweet girl. It may not always come off that way. I'm just kidding.

• 30:35Brooke Averick?

  It's a-

• 30:35Connor Wood?

I'm scared based on the vibe.

• 30:37Brooke Averick?

  Cause it's 200%.

• 30:38Connor Wood?

The vibe being 200% off right now really throwing me for a loop.

• 30:42Brooke Averick?

Should we talk about the heist?

• 30:44Connor Wood?

Okay, I wanna talk about the heist. But really quick, just because I'm talking about San Diego really quick, cause I wanna talk about a couple quick things. So, one, it was no King's Day this weekend, the day of my show, in San Diego.

• 31:00Brooke Averick?

  No Kings?

• 31:00Connor Wood?

  No Kings.

• 31:01Brooke Averick?

I do love the posters about Jonathan Groff.

• 31:04Connor Wood?

  I didn't see those.

• 31:05Brooke Averick?

There's always like, no Kings except for-

• 31:08Connor Wood?

Yeah, well, I was gonna say, there was no Kings except the six guys that came to my comedy show this weekend. They were all present at my show. But... The only King I want is Jonathan Groff.

• 31:20Brooke Averick?

Yeah. Cause he's the King in Hamilton.

• 31:24Connor Wood?

  Yeah.

• 31:26Connor Wood?

They shut down the highway for people going from like, in Newport, Orange County, or LA to go down to San Diego. So it was taking people like four and a half hours to get down to San Diego. And you know why they shut down the highway? Because J.D. Vance was in town and they were taking the warships to the mountains to shoot the mountains.

• 31:44Brooke Averick?

  With guns?

• 31:45Connor Wood?

With artillery. So it's like, oh, no Kings.

• 31:48Brooke Averick?

  Shoot at the mountains?

• 31:49Connor Wood?

We're killing the mountains. No mountains for you. If you don't want a King, then we're taking the mountains. And then they took other ships to the ocean. And they were shooting the ocean! It's like, they probably thought like, humpback whales sound gay, let's kill them. Like, it was just like, why are you guys shooting, like, the post office is closed, but you're shooting the ocean?

• 32:10Brooke Averick?

  I don't understand.

• 32:11Connor Wood?

I thought we were only doing, like, cause the government's shut down right now, so what-

• 32:15Brooke Averick?

So they don't have anything to do besides shoot the mountains and ocean?

• 32:18Connor Wood?

No, it was a, it was a, it was a performance piece.

• 32:23Speaker 06

  Marine Corps.

• 32:24Connor Wood?

Oh, it was a celebration of 250 years of the Marines. I did not, I didn't know that.

• 32:28Brooke Averick?

Oh, I also didn't know that, so.

• 32:30Connor Wood?

  Thank you for your service.

• 32:31Brooke Averick?

I also didn't know that, so.

• 32:33Connor Wood?

Uh, but I don't think we need to be shooting the ocean in the mountains right now while the post office is closed, you know?

• 32:39Brooke Averick?

It's just an interesting way to celebrate.

• 32:41Connor Wood?

Yeah, I think it's funny when you think about like essential work, because I think the government shut down except essential work, right? Is that what it means? Listen, this is always a learning moment on this podcast, so I think we do a little bit of a look into what it means when the government shuts down. Because I remember this one Veep episode. Yeah, and basically some guy is attacked by a bear because there's no state troopers at at state parks during the government shutdown.

• 33:12Connor Wood?

  Because that's a government employee.

• 33:13Brooke Averick?

Right. But like, why would TSA, like TSA is working in their government employees.

• 33:19Connor Wood?

  TSA's government?

• 33:20Speaker 06

Yeah, but they're not getting paid.

• 33:22Brooke Averick?

They're not getting paid, but they're still working?

• 33:24Speaker 06

  Mm-hmm.

• 33:25Brooke Averick?

  Why? Walk out.

• 33:26Connor Wood?

  TSA doesn't get paid?

• 33:27Speaker 06

That's the problem is that people are gonna start calling out, so it's gonna be a problem.

• 33:32Connor Wood?

  Oh, my god.

• 33:33Brooke Averick?

Yeah, why are they still there?

• 33:34Connor Wood?

  We are.

• 33:35Brooke Averick?

We're toast. Why are they still there?

• 33:38Speaker 06

  Probably.

• 33:39Connor Wood?

They have to be, they have to be being paid in the private sector or something, because there's no way we couldn't have TSA.

• 33:45Speaker 06

I mean, that's what usually ends the government shutdown.

• 33:48Brooke Averick?

Is when they walk out? So then, why are they not walking out right now?

• 33:51Speaker 06

  Um.

• 33:52Connor Wood?

I, can I just say something? I promise you the people at TSA are getting paid because they already fucking hate everybody that goes through their lines. They.

• 33:59Brooke Averick?

No, they've been extra grumpy, though.

• 34:01Connor Wood?

  Probably, oh.

• 34:03Brooke Averick?

So maybe they're not, they have been extra grumpy, so maybe they aren't getting paid. I don't know, I would like wa, like walk.

• 34:09Connor Wood?

  Someone.

• 34:10Brooke Averick?

But maybe they, they don't want to get in trouble.

• 34:11Connor Wood?

  I always think about.

• 34:15Brooke Averick?

Not getting paid now. We got our last, I don't, like.

• 34:20Connor Wood?

I guess it must be like when.

• 34:21Brooke Averick?

  They get paid back.

• 34:23Connor Wood?

  You get, you get the.

• 34:24Brooke Averick?

  You get retroactively paid.

• 34:26Connor Wood?

But yikes, I hope they gave them like a bonus or something to get through.

• 34:28Speaker 06

The airports are closed right now. Like Burbank closed.

• 34:32Brooke Averick?

  Really?

• 34:32Connor Wood?

  I flew into.

• 34:34Speaker 06

  Air traffic controllers.

• 34:37Connor Wood?

Oh, okay. Well, um, if you're coming to my shows in Minneapolis or Toronto, I don't know.

• 34:43Brooke Averick?

  Hopefully see you there.

• 34:44Connor Wood?

Watch this space. Yeah. And then I'll be in Boulder and.

• 34:51Connor Wood?

Boston next week, maybe. Boston, I can drive to.

• 34:56Connor Wood?

I always think back to when. I was going through a line and my bag got taken and she goes, I'm not doing all this today. They pulled my bag. There's two full bottles of water in it.

• 35:08Brooke Averick?

And you got to keep them?

• 35:09Connor Wood?

She goes, I'm not doing all this today.

• 35:11Brooke Averick?

I know I've said this before, but I keep thinking about the fact that there are knives in the airport, like at the restaurants.

• 35:17Connor Wood?

  Oh, wow.

• 35:20Connor Wood?

That was like I, the first one, they took the liquid away from people and then I got on a plane and saw that a. A guy had bought a water bottle, like after security and took it on the plane. I was. Sweat dumping down. I was like, oh my God. I'm like, I see something, say something. He has a 12 ounce.

• 35:39Brooke Averick?

Yeah, it's like, it doesn't make sense to me. At all.

• 35:45Brooke Averick?

That there are weapons such as water bottles, just. Right for the plucking. In the airport, let's get to the other side.

• 35:53Connor Wood?

  I think whatever causes the.

• 35:57Brooke Averick?

Water bottles make sense, but not knives.

• 35:58Connor Wood?

The explosion that um, it's pretty mixed in. So you do have to dump.

• 36:02Brooke Averick?

No, I understand that piece. I don't understand having knives at Chili's.

• 36:07Connor Wood?

Well, I don't think you're gonna like overtake.

• 36:08Brooke Averick?

Or just do a metal detector when you're getting on of the plane. I, yeah, I guess you could just overtake your seat, mate. You could overtake a few.

• 36:18Connor Wood?

  Do you think?

• 36:19Brooke Averick?

But I guess it wouldn't take the plane down and that's what they care about.

• 36:21Connor Wood?

They don't need to overtake like me or you. I'd be like.

• 36:25Brooke Averick?

  Well, just like a psycho.

• 36:27Connor Wood?

Oh, yeah. Like just I want to go on a plane and kill people.

• 36:30Brooke Averick?

  Yeah.

• 36:30Connor Wood?

We're gonna get flagged. I, we have to move on from this conversation.

• 36:33Brooke Averick?

Okay, like they could do that if they wanted to.

• 36:35Connor Wood?

Yeah. Grouch is, Grouch has a different set of values than those around him.

• 36:42Connor Wood?

I mean, don't put Grouch in that position. Grouch is not a killer, but don't push him.

• 36:45Brooke Averick?

Don't push him. Don't push him.

• 36:47Connor Wood?

  Don't push him.

• 36:49Speaker 01

• 37:49Brooke Averick?

I just started tearing up, thinking about, "I'm losing his blankie."

• 37:53Connor Wood?

I need to talk about that. But really quick, I want to see, what is open in the government right now?

• 37:58Brooke Averick?

  Shit, but fuck, I think.

• 38:00Connor Wood?

Apparently, the interior design section is alive and well because Trump is redoing his $250 million ballroom. He's able to do that, which is great. During a government shutdown, essential services are prioritized, including those related to public safety like air traffic control, law enforcement, border security, and emergency medical care. What is it?

• 38:19Brooke Averick?

What does that mean, "essential services are prioritized"? They're not being...

• 38:24Connor Wood?

Other functions that continue include social security and Medicare payments, postal service, operations and veterans benefits, and medical care. Non-essential federal activities and programs are halted.

• 38:33Brooke Averick?

So that would be like park rangers?

• 38:36Connor Wood?

Yeah, I guess it's not essential, but you... Yeah, I mean, it's good. Hmm, I don't know how many people like get lost or die in state parks that would warrant a, an emergency situation. But

• 38:49Brooke Averick?

  Pretty good for you.

• 38:51Connor Wood?

I'm sure a lot of people go missing and die.

• 38:54Brooke Averick?

How many people go missing and die?

• 38:55Connor Wood?

It's the vibes are off when people go missing and die, 200%.

• 39:00Brooke Averick?

  Really?

• 39:01Connor Wood?

But, um, but at least we were able to shoot the ocean and the mountains this weekend. That is great.

• 39:09Brooke Averick?

Federal museums as well are closed.

• 39:11Connor Wood?

I didn't know there were federal museums.

• 39:13Brooke Averick?

  Yeah.

• 39:15Connor Wood?

What, like, what is a federal museum?

• 39:17Brooke Averick?

I can't name any for you.

• 39:18Connor Wood?

What is it? Like, the Met is the only one I can think of.

• 39:22Brooke Averick?

Is the Met a federal museum?

• 39:23Connor Wood?

  I don't know.

• 39:26Brooke Averick?

I thought the Met was privately funded.

• 39:28Connor Wood?

It probably is because they have

• 39:29Brooke Averick?

Which is why they do fundraisers.

• 39:32Connor Wood?

Okay, it's like the, it's like all the stuff in

• 39:35Brooke Averick?

  The Natural History Museum.

• 39:35Connor Wood?

Washington DC. Presidential Library. Um, you know, it is not, you know, what might be publicly funded?

• 39:43Brooke Averick?

  What?

• 39:43Connor Wood?

  The Louvre.

• 39:45Brooke Averick?

  Good circle back.

• 39:46Connor Wood?

  Yeah.

• 39:47Brooke Averick?

  Nice.

• 39:48Connor Wood?

Love saying the Louvre. If you look at it and it's like not, it's spelled Louvre. Louvre.

• 39:53Brooke Averick?

I thought, I thought it was Louvre always.

• 39:55Connor Wood?

Yeah. What a blessing in disguise that someone said it out loud.

• 39:57Brooke Averick?

But you know how you say it in a French accent? They, there is the R E.

• 40:01Connor Wood?

  What?

• 40:01Brooke Averick?

  It's like, I can't. Ah, it's like, I can't.

• 40:06Connor Wood?

  No.

• 40:06Brooke Averick?

It's like a, at the end.

• 40:08Connor Wood?

  Yeah.

• 40:09Brooke Averick?

  It's like Louvre.

• 40:12Connor Wood?

  Oh, Brooke, that was good.

• 40:12Brooke Averick?

But that's what I'm saying. Like, they have Louvre. They have that little at the end. Which I literally like was so embarrassed to speak in French, even though I could.

• 40:21Connor Wood?

  Yeah, I forgot about that.

• 40:22Brooke Averick?

When I took French that I didn't. Look, when I was in France, I just, I stayed quiet because I was too embarrassed to do the accent.

• 40:29Connor Wood?

  I'm gonna get

• 40:29Brooke Averick?

And then I, then I, then I forgot all my French.

• 40:34Connor Wood?

  Um,

• 40:37Connor Wood?

do you think anyone from France listens to this? From France?

• 40:40Brooke Averick?

Someone in France was, came up to me when I was in France.

• 40:43Connor Wood?

When you do the, the role, the

• 40:46Brooke Averick?

  Yeah.

• 40:46Connor Wood?

Thing, like, it feels, it reminds me of like when I was allergic to pollen, which I am right now, still. It feels so good to go. Like a

• 40:55Brooke Averick?

  Ooh.

• 40:56Connor Wood?

  You ever do that?

• 40:57Brooke Averick?

  That?

• 41:00Connor Wood?

I Y K Y K. Honestly, if you have lived in, I think it's mostly in the south. Like, there's the pollen that's like long yellow strand and it's dusty. It gets all over your car and it makes you do your throat like this.

• 41:14Connor Wood?

It's the only way you can itch it.

• 41:16Brooke Averick?

  Am I doing it?

• 41:17Connor Wood?

  I don't know. I can't see, I don't know what's happening inside there.

• 41:22Brooke Averick?

Um, you know what's the worst thing to try to say in a French accent? How do you think you would say the name Charles?

• 41:30Connor Wood?

  Charles. I don't know.

• 41:33Brooke Averick?

We had a kid on our French exchange program named Charles and like

• 41:36Connor Wood?

  Charles.

• 41:38Brooke Averick?

  I, I just didn't, I couldn't address him because it's like, chach.

• 41:42Connor Wood?

  No way.

• 41:44Brooke Averick?

Izzy, can you look up a French pronunciation of Charles?

• 41:50Brooke Averick?

Like all the Frenchies would be like, oh, just ask Charles. I'd be like, oh, just ask Charles.

• 41:55Connor Wood?

Okay, I like that. Connor's funny too.

• 41:58Brooke Averick?

  My name was Beatrice, Beatrice.

• 42:01Connor Wood?

  Ooh.

• 42:03Speaker 07

Bonjour, this is Julien, the Frenchman who makes

• 42:05Connor Wood?

  Oh, this is evil.

• 42:06Speaker 07

... videos here on YouTube and we are

• 42:08Connor Wood?

  This sounds like

• 42:09Brooke Averick?

  Well, just say, just say

• 42:11Speaker 07

The names and words from France as well. So make sure to stay tuned and consider subscribing for more learning. How do you pronounce this in France? It is said as Charles, Charles. So the

• 42:24Brooke Averick?

No, that's different than the kind that I knew.

• 42:26Connor Wood?

I just realized I've been trying to listen louder through the mic for the YouTube video. I was like this the whole time.

• 42:31Speaker 07

It is said as Charles, Charles.

• 42:35Brooke Averick?

Imagine like having a friend that's like, oh yeah, my name is Charles.

• 42:40Connor Wood?

  Yeah, I can.

• 42:41Brooke Averick?

It was really hard for me.

• 42:44Connor Wood?

Yeah, I can. I can, I can wrap my head around that.

• 42:50Connor Wood?

  So.

• 42:51Brooke Averick?

So the Louvre was completely busted.

• 42:54Connor Wood?

It sucks that everyone got here before me. I'm happy it was Kat that posted this video about how just like, we are such a people that come together.

• 43:04Connor Wood?

When the crime has essentially no victims. And it is, it is, the inspiration behind a heist is just pure, good old fashioned greed.

• 43:16Brooke Averick?

I want to get into the minds of, of the thieves because I'm so familiar with the minds of like psychopaths from Criminal Minds and like, those are my criminals, but I want to get into the mind of a criminal who is not like a psychopath or sociopath and is just exactly motivated by.

• 43:36Connor Wood?

  Money.

• 43:36Brooke Averick?

Money, greed, whatever this may be. And like, yeah.

• 43:40Connor Wood?

Well, what are people saying about it? Okay. So you can't tell.

• 43:43Brooke Averick?

I can tell you. I watched a video this morning.

• 43:45Connor Wood?

  Perfect.

• 43:45Brooke Averick?

This girl was saying there's probably two motivations. One is that this was a for hire and a collector hired these people to rob the Louvre on their behalf. And they now own these jewels. And that's what people are hoping for, because if that's the case, they're hoping that they still find everything in pristine condition. Probably not what the case is. It's more likely that these people have already like broken apart everything and are going to sell things for bits.

• 44:14Connor Wood?

  Scraps.

• 44:14Brooke Averick?

And scraps, which in which case like you're never getting anything back.

• 44:19Connor Wood?

  I don't think so.

• 44:20Brooke Averick?

  What do you think?

• 44:21Connor Wood?

Well, maybe I don't understand it because I don't know the market, but like, who is buying pieces? Like they said it was an incalculable worth.

• 44:29Brooke Averick?

Well, actually that brings me to another good point. And evidence, this is evidence that it actually was a for hire from a collector. They didn't take the most expensive precious diamond that was right next to everything, which like, why wouldn't they take that? The only reason is probably that like whoever hired these people didn't ask for that specifically. Cause if you're just selling things for parts, like you're going to get that diamond that was most expensive. So maybe it is a collector.

• 44:57Connor Wood?

  I think it's a collector. I just don't get what you.

• 45:01Connor Wood?

I guess it reaches a level of money where I don't totally, like, I can't wrap my head around how you just go and sell that off. But it also, it just brings me back to my roots in heist, in heist movies and stuff and like, even like Vegas counting card movies. Oh, that's up there, like Ocean's Eleven and all those are up there with like Pirates of the Caribbean for me.

• 45:22Brooke Averick?

See, and I like psychopaths. But I'm interested in this. How much you think the collector paid?

• 45:29Connor Wood?

The heist. The thing about this is heists are a vicious cycle because you don't make enough to just do one heist. You're, you're, you're gonna be doing several heists. Okay, but it's like winning the lottery.

• 45:42Brooke Averick?

Like, what do you think if this guy's, let's say this was like 100 million? Is that crazy and not too much or not enough?

• 45:49Connor Wood?

I don't think it's enough because you are also asking a group of people, I wish I knew how many people it was, to go, and if you're arrested.

• 45:56Brooke Averick?

I'm saying like how much what like was stolen, like in terms of war, it's war.

• 46:00Connor Wood?

In calculable, which feels more than 100 million dollars.

• 46:02Brooke Averick?

More than 100 million, like a billion?

• 46:04Connor Wood?

  Yeah. Which is crazy.

• 46:07Brooke Averick?

Wait, I love the name of whoever's.

• 46:09Connor Wood?

  Lupin?

• 46:10Brooke Averick?

No, her crown, they dropped her crown on the way out.

• 46:14Connor Wood?

  Oh.

• 46:16Brooke Averick?

And what was her name? Emperor something.

• 46:19Connor Wood?

  Eugene.

• 46:21Brooke Averick?

Sorry, I sneezed. Oh, Eugenia or something. I like her name. Uh, you, oh no, Eugenie.

• 46:28Connor Wood?

  Eugenie.

• 46:29Brooke Averick?

  Eugenie. Bonjour Eugenie.

• 46:32Connor Wood?

  Bonjour Eugenie.

• 46:33Brooke Averick?

  Che ma peur char.

• 46:34Connor Wood?

Crown, queen, you dropped this. Eugenie?

• 46:37Brooke Averick?

  Literally.

• 46:38Connor Wood?

Queen, you dropped this. Um, no, I was just thinking because you're paying these people, the, the, the thing about robbing the Louvre is that you will never,

• 46:48Connor Wood?

you will never see the light of day ever, ever again if you're caught stealing from the Louvre and then you have an incalculable amount of items. It almost feels like an inside job to me, which is what I was gonna say.

• 47:00Brooke Averick?

  A collector.

• 47:01Connor Wood?

Yeah, it's, um, or maybe like, I don't know, someone that funds the museum or something.

• 47:08Brooke Averick?

Oh, you know who I've been thinking about nonstop?

• 47:10Connor Wood?

  Who?

• 47:11Brooke Averick?

The, uh, what's Mc, what's the Penguin's name from Wallace and Gromit?

• 47:18Brooke Averick?

Who has them steal the diamond with the evil trousers?

• 47:22Connor Wood?

I don't remember them ever stealing it.

• 47:24Brooke Averick?

  Something Rusty McFeathersen?

• 47:27Connor Wood?

  That's Rusty Featherstone, our friend.

• 47:31Brooke Averick?

  Um, Feathers McGraw.

• 47:33Connor Wood?

  Feathers McGraw.

• 47:34Brooke Averick?

  Feathers McGraw.

• 47:37Brooke Averick?

But he was evil and he planted evil trousers, right? Am I completely off base here? He put Wallace in the evil trousers and had Wallace scale the walls of a museum and steal the diamond.

• 47:52Connor Wood?

Have you ever been put in a pair of evil trousers in that way?

• 47:55Brooke Averick?

Not yet. Or did he, yeah, that's him.

• 47:59Connor Wood?

  Oh, he is a troublemaker.

• 48:02Brooke Averick?

  Yeah, no, he's.

• 48:02Connor Wood?

  Wow, he had a gun?

• 48:03Brooke Averick?

He had a freaking gun. Kids' shows used to be, I remember when I was my first year teaching, I showed the kids an episode of Lost in Grommet.

• 48:12Connor Wood?

  It's an episode?

• 48:13Brooke Averick?

Yeah. There used to be, you know, like when the moon is cheese, like those are all episodes. This is an original episode. And like the window washer with my mommy, who's the knitting woman? The one with the yarn who looks like me?

• 48:26Connor Wood?

  I don't remember.

• 48:28Brooke Averick?

What was her name? Like Jeanette? Doesn't matter. But I showed the kids an episode of Lost in Grommet and I had to turn it off like five minutes in because it was like guns shooting like, and I was like, oh my God, I'm getting in trouble. But yeah, this guy's, he's, he's a big shooter.

• 48:44Connor Wood?

Um, wow, you don't see a penguin with a gun that often anymore.

• 48:48Brooke Averick?

You don't. Bring back Feathers McGraw.

• 48:51Connor Wood?

Do you think that we're gonna have any sort of closure with this or no?

• 48:54Brooke Averick?

I think they're gonna get him, but I do not think that the, I think the items will be scrapped out.

• 49:00Connor Wood?

  Imagine the vibes.

• 49:03Brooke Averick?

They must have been 200% off.

• 49:04Connor Wood?

You are leaving with your absolute fucking family from the Louvre. Jewels in tow. Just the crazy laughs that would happen as you're running out. Like it had to feel at some level like.

• 49:22Connor Wood?

Like crazy laugh, you know what I mean? Like, we just did that.

• 49:25Brooke Averick?

That's where the evil laugh comes from. It's not like a myth.

• 49:28Connor Wood?

  No, but it'd be goofy.

• 49:30Brooke Averick?

  It must be from adrenaline.

• 49:31Connor Wood?

  But they were probably also...

• 49:32Brooke Averick?

A moment that felt like a goofy laugh?

• 49:34Connor Wood?

  Yeah.

• 49:35Brooke Averick?

You know they were right by the Mona Lisa, too?

• 49:38Connor Wood?

Yeah, this is an inside job, I fear. Um, I would love to go on a heist. I wish that you could go on a heist... Like, I would, like, VR experience, yeah, but go on a heist and... Maybe instead of someone killing me with a gun, they could do paintball?

• 49:53Brooke Averick?

You know what I've always wanted to do that I think you would adore as well?

• 49:57Connor Wood?

  Huh?

• 49:57Brooke Averick?

Like, a gymnasium where it's like all those laser, like, pointers? And it's like if you cross the laser pointer with your body, the alarm goes off? But you have to sneak in between all the laser pointers?

• 50:08Connor Wood?

Whoa, wait. I just thought... Yeah, you just reminded me? Yes, I want to do that, too?

• 50:13Brooke Averick?

Holy shit, yes, I want to do that.

• 50:14Connor Wood?

Holy shit, yes, I want to do that. With maybe Tark, he could come. Um, I was at, uh, like, a pre-game for a concert the other night? And someone... My favorite thing ever is when people take off their belts and start being like, "Let's do limbo."

• 50:29Brooke Averick?

I didn't know where you were going with that.

• 50:32Connor Wood?

What do you think I was gonna say?

• 50:33Brooke Averick?

I didn't know what was gonna... Your favorite thing was gonna be once people took off their belts?

• 50:37Connor Wood?

Well, it's when they do limbo.

• 50:38Brooke Averick?

Yeah, I didn't know that was coming.

• 50:40Connor Wood?

And it becomes the limbo pole?

• 50:42Brooke Averick?

  Could have been anything.

• 50:43Connor Wood?

  Brooke?

• 50:43Brooke Averick?

  I'm so good at limbo.

• 50:44Connor Wood?

I am so good at limbo. Wanna see how far I can go right now?

• 50:48Brooke Averick?

  Yeah.

• 50:48Connor Wood?

  Okay.

• 50:53Connor Wood?

Okay. So say it's like, let me see how far I can go.

• 50:58Brooke Averick?

  Oh, my word!

• 51:05Brooke Averick?

  But what's crazy?

• 51:06Connor Wood?

  Oh, where'd my hat go?

• 51:08Brooke Averick?

  You weren't wearing one.

• 51:16Brooke Averick?

What's sad about that and like where my privilege comes into play is like that's me not even trying is you at that height because I'm so petite.

• 51:25Connor Wood?

Well, I have to clearly if before we do.

• 51:28Brooke Averick?

  You hurt yourself?

• 51:29Connor Wood?

  Yeah.

• 51:32Connor Wood?

I gotta stretch before we do that.

• 51:33Brooke Averick?

Yeah, your, your mic went limp again.

• 51:37Connor Wood?

  What are we gonna do?

• 51:38Brooke Averick?

Whenever you do crazy things, your mic goes limp.

• 51:41Connor Wood?

Yeah. It's because my blood flowing other elsewhere.

• 51:46Connor Wood?

Oh, wow. There's like, it's crazy when you start to feel muscles in your body that you're like, I didn't even know I had one there.

• 51:51Brooke Averick?

Hmm. You're about to get doms.

• 51:55Brooke Averick?

Do you know how many people have like thanked me for bringing that to light?

• 51:58Connor Wood?

I'm glad, I'm glad. It's so nice to have community.

• 52:00Brooke Averick?

It is. And I, I see you all. And everyone is like, I didn't believe you. Just like you. And then one day you're gonna be struck. And it's gonna hit you when you least expect it. And you're gonna be like, Brooke, I'm so, so, so sorry. I've been so bad. I've been such a bad boy.

• 52:17Connor Wood?

  I get sore after I.

• 52:18Brooke Averick?

  No, not that though.

• 52:21Connor Wood?

Okay, please, one more time, explain what it is.

• 52:24Brooke Averick?

  Agony. It's not muscle soreness.

• 52:26Connor Wood?

  Muscle soreness is.

• 52:28Brooke Averick?

It's, it's a misnomer. So many things are misnomers.

• 52:32Connor Wood?

I don't know what a misnomer is. You're gonna have to.

• 52:34Brooke Averick?

  It's not an appropriate name.

• 52:37Connor Wood?

  How would you describe it?

• 52:38Brooke Averick?

Agony, I just said. It's literally like I, that guy in the chocolate episode of SpongeBob. Every night I break my legs and whatever. Glass skin, paper bones.

• 52:49Connor Wood?

  He had an autoimmune disease.

• 52:50Brooke Averick?

That, I don't wanna call doms an autoimmune disease.

• 52:53Connor Wood?

  Cause it's not.

• 52:54Brooke Averick?

Cause it's not? That's why I don't wanna call it that?

• 52:56Connor Wood?

Good. That would be a misnomer.

• 52:58Brooke Averick?

That would be a misnomer, but it is like, it is like critical. That's the word I'm looking for, not autoimmune. It is critical.

• 53:07Connor Wood?

  I wanna try that again.

• 53:08Brooke Averick?

  I don't want you to.

• 53:10Connor Wood?

I think I can do it this time. It's hard without a.

• 53:13Brooke Averick?

  Do what?

• 53:13Connor Wood?

It's hard to do with, without the limbo ceiling.

• 53:16Brooke Averick?

  Yeah, do what?

• 53:17Connor Wood?

  To get under the belt.

• 53:19Brooke Averick?

  There was no belt.

• 53:20Connor Wood?

That's why I was off. I had no, I had no. There was no bear, there's no, there's no frame of reference for me to limbo.

• 53:28Brooke Averick?

Do we have a stick? Do we have a stick?

• 53:30Connor Wood?

No, it's okay. Let me just not hurt myself.

• 53:33Brooke Averick?

Let's not do limbo right now.

• 53:34Connor Wood?

I really have a lot of things coming up and I need to stay focused.

• 53:40Connor Wood?

We don't have to do that. Have you seen all the group seven stuff?

• 53:43Brooke Averick?

Tristan was telling me about that. I have not seen it.

• 53:45Connor Wood?

Okay, you were talking about the DOMS community. I want to talk about the sense of community. I'm not gonna yuck anybody's yum, but like every now and then, there's a thing that happens on TikTok that people just get fired up that they have found a sense of community. And this group seven thing, basically this girl got on her TikTok and she posted seven videos. And she was like, "If you're seeing this, you're in group one. If you're seeing this, you're in group two. If you're seeing this, you're in group blah blah blah." She posted group seven one and obviously goes in the FYP.

• 54:13Brooke Averick?

And the groups have no meaning whatsoever besides you just being in them?

• 54:16Connor Wood?

No, but then these people, I think the FYP sent group seven video to a lot of people. So everyone's like, "Yeah, this is my people. Like, this is all baddies." And

• 54:28Connor Wood?

it's it's nice to see people interacting like that. It is one of the dumbest things I've ever seen, though.

• 54:35Brooke Averick?

I feel left out. I'm not in group seven. I'm about to be the second I open my phone.

• 54:39Connor Wood?

  Yeah, you will.

• 54:41Brooke Averick?

You want to hear something insane?

• 54:44Brooke Averick?

Just like speaking of your phone, listening to things, when I was home last week, you guys know the I keep finding people on Hinge and then they don't like me back and then they'll make videos about how their likes are like horrible. I was sitting next to my mom last week. She's scrolling on her iPad on TikTok. One of those guys comes up on her FYP.

• 55:06Connor Wood?

  Whoa, that'd be bone chilling.

• 55:07Brooke Averick?

  Is that not insane?

• 55:09Connor Wood?

  It is insane.

• 55:10Brooke Averick?

Yeah. Did I tell you I'm back on Hinge? I'm gonna go on another date.

• 55:15Connor Wood?

  Good.

• 55:16Brooke Averick?

  Thanks.

• 55:16Connor Wood?

  Keep us updated.

• 55:18Brooke Averick?

I will. Maybe you could review my profile.

• 55:21Connor Wood?

  In the bonus, okay.

• 55:22Brooke Averick?

I think it's actually really good this time.

• 55:24Connor Wood?

Oh, I'm excited. Speaking of relationships, I'm killing with the transitions today. Did you see all of this stuff that's going? I'm pro this. I'm pro this. All of the every piece of information I learned about Callum Turner and Dua Lipa makes me

• 55:45Connor Wood?

  yearn.

• 55:47Connor Wood?

And it makes me so happy. Did you hear how they met?

• 55:51Brooke Averick?

  Don't tell me.

• 55:53Connor Wood?

Don't look. Don't look at the screen.

• 55:55Brooke Averick?

I'm not. My eyes are closed. She... Yes, yes, I know. She... They were reading the same book.

• 56:02Connor Wood?

  Yeah.

• 56:03Brooke Averick?

And they were on the same chapter or something, and Callum was like, "I guess we're on the same page." Was that it?

• 56:08Connor Wood?

Yeah. And I just want to say, this is one of those things that's completely... Like, if anyone else did it, I'd be like, "Oh, go to hell." Them doing it? Horny.

• 56:18Brooke Averick?

  Do you think-

• 56:18Connor Wood?

  I love it.

• 56:19Brooke Averick?

-physically they're in the same league?

• 56:22Connor Wood?

  Yeah.

• 56:24Connor Wood?

I think so. We sat next to each other and realized we were reading the same book. I mean, you nailed it. I don't even have to read this.

• 56:29Brooke Averick?

  I think she's, like, hotter.

• 56:31Connor Wood?

  Yeah, she's unbelievable.

• 56:32Brooke Averick?

But also, like, who would... who wouldn't be? Like, who would... Like, every... She's gonna be hotter than everyone, I guess.

• 56:38Connor Wood?

They seem so happy. Like, it makes me happy. You know what I mean?

• 56:44Brooke Averick?

  Yeah.

• 56:45Connor Wood?

She's got the best life in the world, by the way.

• 56:46Brooke Averick?

  She actually does.

• 56:47Connor Wood?

There is not a person on Earth that has a better life than Dua Lipa.

• 56:50Brooke Averick?

  No, there isn't.

• 56:50Connor Wood?

And I randomly feel like she deserves it. I don't have an ounce of... I don't have an ounce of malice towards Dua Lipa at all.

• 56:57Brooke Averick?

  I...

• 56:59Connor Wood?

Usually I have a little bit of, like, "Oh, that's nice that it happened to you, your life." It should have happened to me instead, though.

• 57:04Brooke Averick?

I've heard that she's really difficult.

• 57:07Connor Wood?

I'm gonna pretend like you didn't say that.

• 57:08Brooke Averick?

I'm sorry to burst your bubble.

• 57:10Connor Wood?

It's not my bubble you're bursting. It's impenetrable via Dua.

• 57:13Brooke Averick?

Oh, okay, that's good. I didn't know your-

• 57:16Connor Wood?

The Dirty Bubble. How can the Dirty Bubble be such an evil character when he just simply needed a good pop?

• 57:25Brooke Averick?

The Dirty Bubble? Remind me of that episode. I know it's SpongeBob. I know it's SpongeBob.

• 57:30Connor Wood?

  No, the Dirty Bubble.

• 57:31Brooke Averick?

  I'm thinking of Bubble Buddy.

• 57:34Connor Wood?

Bubble Buddy was also a little bit nefarious, but no, it's Dirty Bubble. He was an evil son of a gun.

• 57:41Brooke Averick?

  Remind me of Dirty Bubble.

• 57:42Connor Wood?

He was a bubble, and he was, like, dirty and murky.

• 57:44Brooke Averick?

  Yeah.

• 57:45Connor Wood?

  That was his whole thing.

• 57:48Connor Wood?

  Easy with your good wipes.

• 57:50Brooke Averick?

I like, don't really remember Dirty Bubble.

• 57:52Connor Wood?

Oh my, Dirty Bubble's so bad. And then, yeah, it was his counterpart.

• 57:55Brooke Averick?

  He was such a foil.

• 57:58Brooke Averick?

  Stop being such a foil.

• 58:00Connor Wood?

I don't know. We need foils so that we appreciate protagonists.

• 58:02Brooke Averick?

Yeah. Ooh, that reminds, he reminds me of my kiwi in my bag. I've been eating kiwis like every day, like 16 of them.

• 58:08Connor Wood?

Kiwis are really good for you.

• 58:09Brooke Averick?

  Are they?

• 58:09Connor Wood?

  Yeah.

• 58:10Brooke Averick?

  That's great news.

• 58:11Connor Wood?

You gotta eat it with a skin though.

• 58:13Brooke Averick?

Ah, I haven't been doing that.

• 58:15Connor Wood?

They are so ball sack coated.

• 58:17Brooke Averick?

Wait, Izzy, can you look up, are you supposed to eat kiwi skin? I thought you were not allowed to eat kiwi skin.

• 58:23Connor Wood?

You can, you just have to get past all the little, all the little hairs.

• 58:26Brooke Averick?

It's edible, increased fiber. I need fiber so bad. Oh no, oh no, oh no.

• 58:34Connor Wood?

Oh no, no, no, no, no.

• 58:39Brooke Averick?

  Oh no, oh no.

• 58:43Brooke Averick?

  No, no, no.

• 58:44Connor Wood?

  Okay.

• 58:48Connor Wood?

Have you seen that girl on TikTok? She's my whole FYP right now, Annabelle.

• 58:52Brooke Averick?

  She's my whole world.

• 58:53Connor Wood?

She's my whole, this girl's my whole world. This girl on the Dirty Bubble vibes 200% off.

• 58:59Connor Wood?

  Annabelle Dinda?

• 59:00Brooke Averick?

  No.

• 59:01Connor Wood?

She's, there's a song and it's like, every time a guy writes a song, it's so, so good. She's genuinely going to be the most famous person in the world. I'm saying it right here in the manifestation space.

• 59:13Brooke Averick?

  Annabelle Dinda?

• 59:14Connor Wood?

  Annabelle Dinda.

• 59:14Brooke Averick?

  Dinda?

• 59:15Connor Wood?

  Yeah.

• 59:16Brooke Averick?

  I don't.

• 59:16Connor Wood?

Heard a name like that in a while?

• 59:18Brooke Averick?

  What?

• 59:19Connor Wood?

  Sister, come on.

• 59:21Brooke Averick?

That reminds me of Kyle Mooney at the reptile convention.

• 59:24Connor Wood?

  What'd he do?

• 59:25Brooke Averick?

That's my favorite video on the internet.

• 59:26Connor Wood?

  What'd he do though?

• 59:27Brooke Averick?

  And no one cares.

• 59:28Connor Wood?

We'll watch it in the bonus.

• 59:28Brooke Averick?

Okay. It's just like when he used to do those man on the streets, like before they were a thing. And he really kind of made that character of like awkward interviewer. And he was interviewing people at the reptile convention and he was just like.

• 59:41Connor Wood?

  I know this video.

• 59:42Brooke Averick?

  How many slammers for you?

• 59:45Connor Wood?

  I said a real.

• 59:45Brooke Averick?

And then they were like, what? And he was like, how many slammers for you?

• 59:48Connor Wood?

I said a real sentence though.

• 59:49Brooke Averick?

It sounded to me like, how many slammers for you?

• 59:53Connor Wood?

I said, um, have you heard a name like that in a while?

• 59:56Brooke Averick?

It sounded like, have you heard a name like that in a while?

• 59:59Connor Wood?

I said every word pretty enunciated, I think, too. These vibes, 200% off, though.

• 1:00:03Brooke Averick?

They are so not on the same page, like Dua and Callum.

• 1:00:07Connor Wood?

We're not even on the same chapter.

• 1:00:08Brooke Averick?

We're not even on the same book, baby.

• 1:00:11Connor Wood?

It's actually so true, and facts.

• 1:00:13Brooke Averick?

  Facts on.

• 1:00:14Connor Wood?

  Facts off.

• 1:00:16Brooke Averick?

Facts on. What is that commercial? Do you remember? Lights on, lights off, or wax on, wax off. Have you been watching Love is Blind?

• 1:00:28Connor Wood?

  No.

• 1:00:29Brooke Averick?

Speaking of waxing, I can't, like, even start to think about getting into it. The season's insane.

• 1:00:34Connor Wood?

If anybody tries to bring up any sort of TV to me right now while I'm staying in hotels for five days out of seven, you're just gonna have to talk to me about either the Welcome Channel for the hotel, and I can tell you where everything is. Two, you can talk to me about anything Modern Family related, or maybe the office.

• 1:00:52Brooke Averick?

  I love Modern Family.

• 1:00:53Connor Wood?

It's a great hotel room show, too.

• 1:00:56Brooke Averick?

And a show that you can watch anywhere outside of the hotel.

• 1:00:58Connor Wood?

I won't watch it. I won't watch it outside the hotel, because it's my hotel, like, comfort show.

• 1:01:03Brooke Averick?

  I got that.

• 1:01:03Connor Wood?

Because it feels like I'm with my family.

• 1:01:05Brooke Averick?

I love Phil. Who's your favorite character?

• 1:01:08Connor Wood?

  Phil, probably, too.

• 1:01:09Brooke Averick?

Nice. It seems like we're on the same page 200%. Vibes on.

• 1:01:13Connor Wood?

  Vibes off.

• 1:01:14Brooke Averick?

Wait, what were we talking about?

• 1:01:17Connor Wood?

Doesn't fucking matter. I don't care. Who gives a shit? What do you have going on this week, the rest of the week?

• 1:01:25Brooke Averick?

  Uh, recording with you tomorrow.

• 1:01:26Connor Wood?

  Cheek.

• 1:01:27Brooke Averick?

I'm gonna cut bangs. Do you think I should not?

• 1:01:30Connor Wood?

I don't think you should cut your bangs, but...

• 1:01:32Brooke Averick?

No, I want someone. I want Kath to cut them for me.

• 1:01:35Connor Wood?

Why don't you go to a professional?

• 1:01:38Brooke Averick?

Because I literally want two. I want them to be so wispy.

• 1:01:42Connor Wood?

So a professional could maybe do wisps?

• 1:01:44Brooke Averick?

No, but I don't want to pay, like, $300 for a wisp.

• 1:01:49Connor Wood?

  But you might have...

• 1:01:49Brooke Averick?

Because I've just got my haircut, kinda.

• 1:01:52Connor Wood?

I'm just saying, if you get it done there, and then you have to go in anyways and pay the $300, that would be a super bum bum bum bum bum bum bum bum bum bum.

• 1:02:02Connor Wood?

I want to finish off on this note really quick. I, Austin Butler changed my life the other day, and he changed my life first before he changed that guy that made the TikTok

• 1:02:12Connor Wood?

about Austin Butler changing his life. I unfortunately had to delete it before it got any traction, because I called him...

• 1:02:21Connor Wood?

Autumn Butler or something and like no one knew what I was talking about. But he basically did this interview where he was like, embarrassment is, he said this, embarrassment is an underexplored emotion. And that everything you, everything you're looking for and seeking out is on the other side of embarrassment. And it has changed everything for me. And I didn't think that I was gonna be affected by Austin Butler in the way that many are affected by Brene Brown.

• 1:02:50Brooke Averick?

Everything you're looking for is on the other side of embarrassment.

• 1:02:54Connor Wood?

Embarrassment is an underexplored emotion. Go out there and make a fool of yourself. Okay, well, I added the second part, I guess. But I don't like-

• 1:03:00Brooke Averick?

That was kind of like, what you said was kind of wild.

• 1:03:03Connor Wood?

Like, feel that feeling, the fear of cringe, and then go out there and do it. Everything you want is on the other side of that. I was like, hmm. Can't believe-

• 1:03:11Brooke Averick?

I guess, yeah, fear of embarrassment.

• 1:03:15Brooke Averick?

Can't even lie, he's spitting facts.

• 1:03:21Connor Wood?

I mean, what are you gonna do? Austin Butler telling me that and then just thinking about him having the Elvis voice for two and a half full years.

• 1:03:27Brooke Averick?

And he didn't give a shit. You think he gave a shit?

• 1:03:29Connor Wood?

I don't know. I can't tell what's going on in his, his head. Or his, or anywhere else in his vicinity.

• 1:03:38Connor Wood?

  But.

• 1:03:40Connor Wood?

  Hey, uh, baby, I, uh-

• 1:03:42Brooke Averick?

  I like him.

• 1:03:43Connor Wood?

Do you? Do you like like him?

• 1:03:45Brooke Averick?

It's not, no, I don't even like like him. But I like him, I think I like him as a celebrity.

• 1:03:51Connor Wood?

I don't know that much about him.

• 1:03:53Brooke Averick?

Me neither, really. I just, I have no, I just, nothing but positive vibes.

• 1:03:58Connor Wood?

I wonder if I've ever said something anywhere along these lines where people are like,

• 1:04:03Connor Wood?

  that's gonna stick with me.

• 1:04:05Brooke Averick?

  Yes.

• 1:04:06Connor Wood?

Besides, I have purse. Like, that's what people are gonna be like, what's the dumbest thing you've ever heard? Oh my God, there's this guy.

• 1:04:11Brooke Averick?

  I can't believe I wasn't here for I have first.

• 1:04:14Connor Wood?

Well, the crazy thing is it's, it's becoming like Bernstein Bear's effect. Where like people do think it was Brooke.

• 1:04:21Brooke Averick?

  It is totally a Mandela.

• 1:04:22Connor Wood?

It was Kels. But it's crazy. Cause I always, I still think, I'm like, oh my gosh, I'll send, I'll send Brooke, like, look, look who used this I have person in the big year of 2025. And you're like, okay.

• 1:04:34Brooke Averick?

No, it's still exciting, cause it's like, B and C, the pod. But I don't, I feel bad for Kelsey, cause it's like, I feel bad that people are like mistaking, like not crediting her. I think that's what makes-

• 1:04:46Connor Wood?

Well, everything you're looking for, and they were going crazy for you too. But everything you're looking for is on the other side of embarrassment.

• 1:04:55Brooke Averick?

  I could see that.

• 1:04:56Connor Wood?

Go out there and make a fool out of yourself, baby.

• 1:04:58Brooke Averick?

I'm going to, on my hinge date.

• 1:05:00Connor Wood?

Oh. Alright, well, I'm gonna see you in bonus. Thank you guys for listening. Vibes were 200% off. It was disgusting today.

• 1:05:07Brooke Averick?

  Sorry about that.

• 1:05:08Connor Wood?

I don't know. Something is really off here.

• 1:05:11Brooke Averick?

  I feel horrible.

• 1:05:13Connor Wood?

They were going crazy for you too, though.

• 1:05:14Brooke Averick?

They are on a different for you page.

• 1:05:17Connor Wood?

  You guys. Okay, bye.

• 1:05:20Brooke Averick?

  See ya.
