• 1:32Stavros Halkias?

Welcome, everybody, to Stavie's World. 80904800STAV.

• 1:42Stavros Halkias?

Call in, we'll solve your problems. I really should, yeah. 904, right. I've never heard of a 1-800 number that has an area code in front of it. That's weird. What the fuck? 904800STAV. Okay.

• 1:56Speaker 03

I should get a producer hat that has the number on my head.

• 1:58Stavros Halkias?

You should, man. Well, you usually have it on the screen, but, yeah, have we done hundreds of this? What's this, episode three?

• 2:07Stavros Halkias?

How do you not have the most important phone number in your life memorized? It's up, it's somewhere up there. And it's like, four of the digits are mine. Your name? And the others 800? Three are 800. 1-600-700.

• 2:22Stavros Halkias?

  744 stop 2225 call in.

• 2:27Speaker 04

What numbers do you have memorized?

• 2:29Stavros Halkias?

I have a number that doesn't exist anymore. Wings to go. Yeah.

• 2:35Stavros Halkias?

I probably used to have like the local Domino's. I had Domino's and Pizza Hut. Domino's is 2158606425, something like that.

• 2:44Speaker 04

Do you know, do you know, do you have your mom's number memorized?

• 2:46Stavros Halkias?

I have my mom's number memorized. Yeah, of course. Cause it was from before, cause we're old enough that. Landline we're talking, or cellphone as well. Yeah, of course. Yeah, yeah.

• 2:55Speaker 04

There was a time for like, probably like the first, I don't know, three years that I had a like a flip phone. This is like maybe like 2005, 2006. I didn't put any numbers on my phone.

• 3:05Stavros Halkias?

  Wow.

• 3:06Speaker 04

I was that paranoid. I just remembered everybody.

• 3:08Stavros Halkias?

  Paranoid?

• 3:08Speaker 04

  Yeah.

• 3:09Stavros Halkias?

You thought they were tracking you?

• 3:10Speaker 04

I don't know why. I just didn't put any numbers on my phone. In case I lost it.

• 3:14Stavros Halkias?

  Paranoid?

• 3:15Speaker 04

  Yeah.

• 3:15Stavros Halkias?

I mean, this is when you were buying cocaine. I don't want the government to know I called my mom for money. Yeah, yeah. This is cocaine and hookers or what are we talking?

• 3:23Speaker 04

  I mean, there was.

• 3:24Stavros Halkias?

Is that what you were afraid of?

• 3:26Speaker 04

  In the general season.

• 3:27Stavros Halkias?

What were you, yeah, what, but what are you paranoid about?

• 3:29Speaker 04

I don't know. I just never wanted to put numbers in my phone. I just always wanted to keep it clean. So I memorized everybody's number.

• 3:36Stavros Halkias?

I respect that though. I do. Cause you were basically treating it like a landline.

• 3:41Speaker 04

Treating it like a burner. In case I ever had to ditch it.

• 3:44Stavros Halkias?

So would you have a book of numbers or everything was up here?

• 3:46Speaker 04

Tried to shake a tail in Chinatown, you know what I mean?

• 3:49Stavros Halkias?

Snaps it in half. Was there ever, what was the most miss, like what was the most you felt like you were in trouble? Did you ever feel like you had to like leave or did you ever, like, did you ever have, you know what I'm saying?

• 3:59Speaker 04

  No.

• 3:59Stavros Halkias?

  Was there ever any worry?

• 4:01Speaker 04

Yeah, there was, there was times where I thought they were coming through the, coming up the steps through the door.

• 4:05Stavros Halkias?

But it was fabrication. You were imagining it.

• 4:08Speaker 04

  Complete imagination.

• 4:10Stavros Halkias?

So you were never really in much trouble. You never got yourself in much. He's an end user. He's not moving weight over here. Yeah, yeah, yeah. I don't know. Ode money. You never had any other, you know?

• 4:19Speaker 04

No, nobody that was looking to hurt me or anything like that.

• 4:21Stavros Halkias?

  Nice.

• 4:22Speaker 04

It was always a gentleman's agreement.

• 4:24Stavros Halkias?

Couple of friends I took advantage of.

• 4:27Speaker 04

They knew where to find me.

• 4:28Stavros Halkias?

  Yeah.

• 4:30Stavros Halkias?

Yeah, no. No hard feelings? Um, I have, yeah, I just have like, basically my mom, my dad, uh, my landline. I have Eldis's number memorized, actually, because he also, it's like, we got self, you know, we had, in the flip phone era, you've had the same number since we were kids, right?

• 4:48Speaker 05

Yeah, sure. So like, when you were still like, dialing that from your house, or whatever, you had to know that?

• 4:52Stavros Halkias?

Yeah, yeah. Or just like, in the like, literal Motorola Razr era.

• 4:57Speaker 05

Sure. Yeah, yeah. I have that same, my same group of high school friends, I can still rattle off most of their cells.

• 5:02Stavros Halkias?

Yeah, so, but yeah, nothing, you know, nothing, nothing, other than that, nothing crazy. Yeah, I'm about the same. Brother, mom, I could tell you the number for Pudge's in Blue Bell. Yeah? Cheese steak place. I can rattle that off. What's the order, what, what'd you get on the cheesesteak? What would I do on a cheese, I'm a cheesesteak hoagie, man. Thanks for asking, Stavi. Of course. And thanks for having us, by the way. Of course, yeah, yeah, yeah. The All You Garbage Boys are back. Uh, we had to start talking about how I'm-

• 5:30Speaker 05

  Immediately into hoagies.

• 5:31Stavros Halkias?

Into hoagies. Drugs, phone numbers, and hedges. Welcome back to drugs, phone numbers, and hedges. And, you know, thank, yeah, and you guys, let's, let's plug stuff and then we'll get into the cheesesteak discussion. Okay.

• 5:43Speaker 05

  Sure.

• 5:43Stavros Halkias?

So, you have, but, you know, we got the All You Garbage Boys here, they have a coming out, but most of the people listening to this, it will already be out, we'll have a link to it. If you're listening to this on release day, they have a tour special. Tour special? Yes. Something different, something new. Love it. So we, uh, we did nine shows.

• 6:02Speaker 05

  Less stand-up.

• 6:07Stavros Halkias?

Nice, beautiful spin on it, boy.

• 6:12Stavros Halkias?

Just Kevin and I walking around yard sales.

• 6:15Speaker 05

Trying to see Gary Vee people out of money.

• 6:17Stavros Halkias?

Is this a steak? No, it's the broth you make with the bone in the middle of the steak. They're fucking boiling it up, you're getting a delicious, beautiful flavor. It's a fa, it's the fa of stand-up, basically.

• 6:29Speaker 05

So, we did, uh, we did, uh, Route 66, uh, straight through on a bus from Chicago to LA.

• 6:35Stavros Halkias?

Tour bus, not a grayhound or nothing.

• 6:37Speaker 05

Yeah, um, it was like, uh, I'm forgetting the number. I think like 12 shows and 11 days.

• 6:41Speaker 04

  Nine shows in 12 days.

• 6:42Speaker 05

Nine shows in 12 days. Um, and we, we shot kind of like a special in each one. Cause at the end of the AYG shows, we do, um, we play AYG with the crowd and they get to ask their questions. So it's like, uh, you know, a little bit from each city and then a lot of like the bus antics and stuff like that. We stop at like the Oklahoma State Fair and we go to like fucking dive bar. It's like the, the real true American dirtbag road trip we tried to, uh, tried to capture.

• 7:06Stavros Halkias?

That's, I love that. I mean, I'm pumped because we are, we're essentially doing that.

• 7:11Speaker 05

  Ha, beat them to it.

• 7:12Stavros Halkias?

But a lot, you know, maybe four times the dates, you know?

• 7:18Speaker 05

  They did it two weeks.

• 7:19Stavros Halkias?

Tour buys for two months, not two weeks.

• 7:21Speaker 04

  Show it off.

• 7:24Speaker 05

  Still humble guys over here.

• 7:27Speaker 04

It was a three city tour. What about it?

• 7:30Speaker 05

They were the twin cities too.

• 7:32Speaker 04

  It's just in Manhattan.

• 7:34Speaker 05

  Staten Island.

• 7:35Speaker 04

Newark. Did the Upper West Side, Village.

• 7:38Speaker 05

  Bananas.

• 7:39Speaker 04

Stopped at Harlem, went to Sylvia's.

• 7:45Speaker 05

No, so yeah, it's on our YouTube channel. Um, it's premiering February 25th. You know, go check it out. It's, it's a lot of fun.

• 7:52Stavros Halkias?

Yeah. Well, okay. And so let's, what was the best, let's, since we started Hoagie Style.

• 7:56Speaker 05

  Sure.

• 7:57Stavros Halkias?

What's the best bite of the tour?

• 7:59Speaker 05

  Whoa. Great question.

• 8:01Stavros Halkias?

Best bite of the tour, boys.

• 8:02Speaker 05

  Brought to you by Domino's.

• 8:05Speaker 04

  Avoid the noise, everybody.

• 8:08Stavros Halkias?

  I'm annoyed.

• 8:08Speaker 05

Wow. Best bite of the tour.

• 8:11Speaker 04

  Now you're using that.

• 8:12Stavros Halkias?

  Route 66.

• 8:13Speaker 04

Superfluously, right? You don't mean actual like the best food that we had on the tour. I mean, what's the best nugget from the?

• 8:19Stavros Halkias?

  No.

• 8:20Speaker 05

  No, I think.

• 8:20Stavros Halkias?

What do you mean? Literal bite.

• 8:23Speaker 04

I thought you were being real smart. Like what's the best bite from the?

• 8:26Speaker 05

  No, he, he means food.

• 8:27Stavros Halkias?

I mean food. You mean, you mean like, like I'm about to throw to a clip of your fucking YouTube special?

• 8:35Speaker 05

Hit me, held it, hit me.

• 8:37Speaker 04

So I hear you're a fat piece of shit.

• 8:40Stavros Halkias?

I hear, uh, Tom Cassidy was caught with a prostitute in Oklahoma. Let's check it out.

• 8:46Speaker 05

  More than 10.

• 8:47Stavros Halkias?

Fuck out of my face, man.

• 8:53Speaker 04

I thought that was real sharp.

• 8:54Stavros Halkias?

  Thanks, man.

• 8:55Speaker 05

There's a lot of good food. Shout out to Professor Pizza in Chicago. We started off with that. That was, uh, that was fantastic.

• 9:01Speaker 04

  Home run of a night.

• 9:02Speaker 05

  Uh, we went to the-

• 9:03Stavros Halkias?

  Makes a nice pie.

• 9:04Speaker 05

Yeah, he, he, he treats the comics right. Uh, the Big Texan Steakhouse in Amarillo, Texas. That's a good, they do, we didn't do it, but they have like a 72 ounce plus like a, uh, it's like one of those challenges.

• 9:17Stavros Halkias?

  Ooh, you didn't do it?

• 9:18Speaker 05

  Nah, dude, it's a lot.

• 9:20Stavros Halkias?

  72 ounces?

• 9:21Speaker 04

Well, we, we filmed this kid doing it and he was there-

• 9:23Stavros Halkias?

  Who, just a guy?

• 9:24Speaker 04

Just a guy. Just a random-

• 9:25Speaker 05

Just a guy who looked like us?

• 9:26Stavros Halkias?

  Yeah.

• 9:28Speaker 05

Hey, say you're Foley for this.

• 9:29Stavros Halkias?

  Yeah.

• 9:30Speaker 04

We, we talked to him afterwards.

• 9:32Stavros Halkias?

From the back? And you like re-shot Foley eating a couple bites? Mmm, you just type close-ups of Foley's face? Like Foley did it. And then the guy, the guy raising his hands from the back?

• 9:43Speaker 05

  That's a dramatic reenactment.

• 9:47Speaker 04

  It's an Asian guy playing.

• 9:49Speaker 05

  It's Kobayashi eating hot dog.

• 9:51Speaker 04

No, it's funny because I, we saw him doing it and he got up there and I'm like, I wonder like who he's here with? Like, like, how was this? I was fascinated by the guy. I mean, he's my fucking-

• 10:00Speaker 05

  Of course.

• 10:01Stavros Halkias?

  Your brother.

• 10:01Speaker 04

He's my Bruce Jenner. You know what I mean?

• 10:05Stavros Halkias?

  You're gonna transition into him?

• 10:09Speaker 04

And then we talked to him after and he's like, yeah, I'm on vacation.

• 10:12Speaker 05

  By himself?

• 10:13Speaker 04

By himself. And we're like, what are you doing? And he's like, I'm doing this and then tomorrow I'm driving to New Mexico and I'm going on a hot air balloon.

• 10:22Speaker 05

  The wildest vacation.

• 10:24Speaker 04

I'm nuts. Like, talk about living your best life.

• 10:27Speaker 05

He threw up in public and then went on a hot air balloon and that's what he did with his vacation.

• 10:30Speaker 04

  He was cool as shit.

• 10:31Stavros Halkias?

  So this is a guy who's, I'm gonna guess, 5'9", 440 pounds?

• 10:35Speaker 04

  He wasn't that big.

• 10:36Speaker 05

He's big. No, he wasn't that. He was bigger. He was between, uh, he was, he was, you know, he was-

• 10:40Stavros Halkias?

  We'll put it at a gentleman's 290.

• 10:42Speaker 05

  Damn, call him three bells.

• 10:45Speaker 05

  He was spry though.

• 10:48Speaker 05

  He walked like 250.

• 10:51Stavros Halkias?

  Alright, alright, respect.

• 10:52Speaker 04

  Nice guy, good guy.

• 10:53Speaker 05

Good guy, it was kinda funny then like, I think it was in Albuquerque, it was like the next night, we were in Amarillo, Texas, in Albuquerque, and he's like, oh, I'm going to Albuquerque tomorrow, we were there the same day, there's this huge hot air balloon festival there like once a year.

• 11:06Stavros Halkias?

This is the most whimsical fat guy of all time. He's like, I like huge cuts of meat. And I like riding, I like overlooking a sunset.

• 11:16Speaker 05

  Slow moving vehicles.

• 11:19Stavros Halkias?

Hot air balloon. Solo. Where was he from, I'm sorry, did he say where?

• 11:24Speaker 05

He was from like, uh, nowhere close. Yeah, like, he was like a five hour drive to Amarillo, to the big, it's like the big Texas, it's like a famous thing. It's like right at like the halfway point, it's like an old, looks like an old school, uh, you know, fucking old western town.

• 11:40Stavros Halkias?

  Steal all their ideas.

• 11:44Stavros Halkias?

  That sounds awesome.

• 11:45Speaker 04

You two in a hot air balloon?

• 11:47Speaker 05

  That would be great.

• 11:51Stavros Halkias?

I want no parts of a hot air balloon.

• 11:53Speaker 04

Dude, I saw one video where this thing fucking went up, and they were just up there cooking. Like they were hanging over the sides just burning. Fucking never.

• 12:02Stavros Halkias?

It's, I, you don't even think about the temperature.

• 12:04Speaker 04

Yeah, no, yes, that thing, that thing goes, you're done, it's a wicker basket.

• 12:08Stavros Halkias?

It's gotta be kinda hot, right?

• 12:09Speaker 05

It's gotta, that's gotta be flameproof though, no? They don't spray that with some retardant?

• 12:13Stavros Halkias?

  But the temp.

• 12:14Speaker 04

  This one wasn't?

• 12:14Speaker 05

Yeah, you would assume, I don't know.

• 12:16Speaker 04

These people were up there cooking, just because you can't, we can jump, fucking thousand feet up. Fuck that.

• 12:22Stavros Halkias?

Yeah, I want nothing to do with that. I don't, that's fucking insane.

• 12:25Speaker 04

That and gliders, I wouldn't get into a glider.

• 12:27Stavros Halkias?

  Glider?

• 12:28Speaker 05

  I think you're alright.

• 12:32Speaker 05

You hear that big gliding industry out there? You don't get the big guys.

• 12:38Stavros Halkias?

That's there, eat 72 ounces steak. It's like the glider company that can support Foley, and they win, you know what I mean?

• 12:46Speaker 04

We told you about the helicopter, right? This was a couple of years ago, we wanted to, we, we, we were doing like our first sold out show, I think.

• 12:52Speaker 05

  In Philly.

• 12:53Speaker 04

  In Philly.

• 12:53Speaker 05

And as a bit, being that we are significantly bad with money. It was gonna be, we're gonna take the whole check and rent a helicopter and fly from New York to Philadelphia, but only have enough money to go the one way and then have to take like the bus back.

• 13:07Speaker 04

  Talking numbers on the phone.

• 13:10Stavros Halkias?

And we do, we're calm calling every, I called like 15 helicopter places. And they're like, ah, how about, I'm like, we got a bigger guy. They're like, no worries. How big we talking?

• 13:19Speaker 04

  You got a big personality.

• 13:20Stavros Halkias?

Yeah, yeah, yeah. And you start throwing numbers around. It's like, nah, nah, nah, nah, nah. And then I got one guy went straight to a cell. You could hear him like in the helicopter.

• 13:29Stavros Halkias?

And he's like, how about, I'm like, you got a bigger guy. And like, you know, and he's like, how big? And I told him, he's like, that's no worries. I'm like, I don't think. I don't like the guy. I'm not rolling with you. The guy's in a helicopter answering the phone like this? Yeah, whatever. Fuck it. Tell him not to have breakfast. We'll be okay. Lay off the water for 24 hours.

• 13:48Speaker 04

I'll get that fat bastard in here. I'll put him down wherever you want.

• 13:53Stavros Halkias?

So the best, but you didn't have that steak, though.

• 15:43Speaker 05

We didn't do, but we had a steak there. We did eat there. We just didn't do the fun.

• 15:46Stavros Halkias?

And what cuts are we talking?

• 15:48Speaker 05

I think I did probably, you know, we probably, I forget exactly. I'm a filet man when I'm there.

• 15:52Stavros Halkias?

You're a filet man. Are you a filet guy?

• 15:54Speaker 04

I mean, I like a ribeye. I like a charred on the outside.

• 15:57Speaker 05

I think when, when we go out together, we'll do the porterhouse. If there's like five of us, you do the porterhouse for five, like a gentleman.

• 16:02Stavros Halkias?

  That's.

• 16:02Speaker 04

By the way, can I shout out Cristo's here in Astoria?

• 16:07Stavros Halkias?

  Great steakhouse. Yeah.

• 16:08Speaker 04

Dude, I've been there probably five times. I was just there last week with my cousin. Man, they fucking knock it out of the park.

• 16:14Stavros Halkias?

  I love, I love.

• 16:15Speaker 04

Talk about an old school joint.

• 16:16Stavros Halkias?

It's great. Cristo's, it's in Astoria. It's a night, we walk there sometimes. That's like our go-to. When we have, like, no disrespect to Cristo's, but like, when we have something that's like just under humongous accomplishment.

• 16:30Speaker 05

  Sure.

• 16:30Stavros Halkias?

It's your B-level celebration. Yeah, yeah, yeah, yeah, yeah.

• 16:33Speaker 04

It's in the neighborhood. It's a neighborhood joint.

• 16:35Stavros Halkias?

Neighborhood steakhouse, when it's like, you know, we'll go, we've earned it. It's not, you know, it's not cheap, but it's not as pricey as a Manhattan.

• 16:42Speaker 05

  Can't go nuts, but yeah.

• 16:43Speaker 04

They got the lobster tank in the front, too. That's always.

• 16:45Stavros Halkias?

Love the lobster tank. Love, and you know what I'll say? Great calamari.

• 16:49Speaker 04

  Great calamari.

• 16:50Speaker 05

I'm over calamari. Done with it.

• 16:52Stavros Halkias?

What do you mean you're over it?

• 16:53Speaker 05

He's just, you know, you do it too much. It's like, it is what it is. You're never wowed by it.

• 16:58Speaker 04

  Where you getting it?

• 16:59Speaker 05

Olive oil. Everywhere I've ever been. That's like, if it's on the menu, I get it. And it's like, all right.

• 17:04Stavros Halkias?

That might be part of the problem, because you're having it at fucking pizza restaurants. You're getting fucking like.

• 17:10Speaker 05

Also, I have it every time we're out. We get it every time we're out for the most part.

• 17:13Speaker 04

Yeah, so why would we stop?

• 17:14Speaker 05

  I said, I'm done. I'm over it. That's all.

• 17:16Stavros Halkias?

Is this a moment of transition in your life?

• 17:19Speaker 05

I think this might be the end of the podcast if this conversation keeps going.

• 17:22Stavros Halkias?

So no more calamari. That's it. So what do you think, what do you think is gonna take its place as your number one appetizer?

• 17:28Speaker 05

  Cheese steak egg rolls.

• 17:32Speaker 05

  That's not even close.

• 17:35Stavros Halkias?

Man, they're so good, but they burn your mouth. Cheese steak egg rolls. Everything should be in that egg roll wrapper. Yeah, I've had, I've had one, yeah, but like. Buffalo chicken egg roll? Yes, I'm familiar with the egg roll. I don't think you are. Egg roll fusions. You should be more excited, Dan.

• 17:50Speaker 04

Have you ever had the pizza egg roll at a Chinese restaurant? A Chinese takeout spot?

• 17:54Stavros Halkias?

  I actually have not.

• 17:55Speaker 04

  Buddy, do yourself.

• 17:57Stavros Halkias?

I have not, I have not. Eldis, get on it. Where, and this is Philly's thing, where are you getting, where are you getting these from?

• 18:03Speaker 04

Just a regular, you'll see it down at the bottom of the appetizers list on a, on a, on a, any regular Chinese app. I've said this before.

• 18:10Stavros Halkias?

  I don't think that's true.

• 18:11Speaker 04

  Yeah, I'm telling you.

• 18:12Stavros Halkias?

I don't think if you go to a ra, I think most Chinese places will not have pizza egg rolls. This is like, this is like the presidential debate, dude. This is left first, right, right here. Eldis, pull up. Pizza egg rolls. Just look up Chinese restaurant near me. Okay, let's get hard facts. Let's pick, let's pick a random city. Let's go random. Go Chicago.

• 18:31Speaker 04

All right, it's gotta be a major city.

• 18:33Stavros Halkias?

  Chicago.

• 18:33Speaker 04

None of that small market bullshit.

• 18:35Stavros Halkias?

  Boston. Chinese restaurant.

• 18:37Speaker 04

Don't pull up Orlando or something like that.

• 18:39Stavros Halkias?

  Takeout.

• 18:39Speaker 04

  How about Detroit?

• 18:41Stavros Halkias?

  Okay. No.

• 18:42Speaker 04

  Give me Detroit.

• 18:43Stavros Halkias?

I think you're best in Boston. This is, he knows what he's doing though, because he knows this is bullshit. Foley's number one Chinese food. Okay.

• 18:49Speaker 04

  Dynasty Chinese food.

• 18:50Stavros Halkias?

Dynasty Chinese Detroit. It has a 3.7. That's good, even the wheelhouse. That's right what Foley's looking for. None of us has been there, we know nothing about this, let's go to the menu.

• 19:01Speaker 04

No, hold on, I, I'll get everything menu.

• 19:03Stavros Halkias?

  That's a good menu.

• 19:04Speaker 04

  Hold on, come on.

• 19:06Stavros Halkias?

  Okay, okay, okay.

• 19:07Speaker 04

Don't give me this one, though.

• 19:10Stavros Halkias?

Uh oh. Little egg roll, shrimp egg roll. Shrimp egg roll fried one time. I don't see pizza. Fried Chinese donut, no pizza, brother.

• 19:18Speaker 04

Hold on, hold on, do they do?

• 19:19Stavros Halkias?

I'll give you, I'll give you three, three cracks at it. See if you can get a Stromboli.

• 19:24Speaker 04

Now, it's gotta be a place that does the fried chicken and fries.

• 19:26Stavros Halkias?

Wait, side order? Side, steamed right, nah, it's not gonna be there. Healthy options, check healthy options. They, they do, it's just steamed shit. Okay. Okay, all right, so. Egg foo young.

• 19:38Speaker 04

It would, it would have been in the appetizer thing.

• 19:40Stavros Halkias?

Yeah, okay, so, I will give you three cracks at it, it doesn't have to be Detroit, you can stick with Detroit, we can go Sun China. I think he jumped cities, dude, I think it's an east coast thing.

• 19:49Speaker 04

Give me Trent, give me Trent.

• 19:51Stavros Halkias?

  What time?

• 19:53Speaker 04

  I like that.

• 19:53Stavros Halkias?

Okay, alright. Golden Dragon's not gonna let me down. Golden Dragon. Golden Dragon. No, it's Golden Dragon, dude. Okay, Golden Dragon. Golden Dragon all day. Alright, let's see. This is my spot. Come on, give it to me. That's got it. No website, but they have menu photos. Oh, it's not gonna be on the wall, though. That's no good. You need a website. There's no menu? Oh, no, you see it. Keep going down, keep going down. I, I don't think this is a complete- That's not a complete. Okay, sorry, Foley. You guys- Go for Food King Chinese. Oh, man. This place is fucking- Really, look, this is the class- Folks, whatever you're imagining, it's correct. Oh, zoom in. Oh, shit, this investigative journalism. Eldis, come on. What's that say?

• 20:38Stavros Halkias?

Wait, that says, "Thank you for your patronage." Oh, he's got to open it on U-Tab and Zoom. I don't know if we- I don't think, it's grainy. Get the FBI on the line. Fuck Foley. Sorry, man, we can't- Folks, this is a pretty visual episode, but it's worth it. This investigative journalism- You gotta wash that out. We got a dark room in here. Look, that's a wash. That doesn't count. We'll stay in Trenton. We'll stay in Trenton and we will go keep going down. Food King Chinese, 4.1. Food King Chinese, 4.1. That's the same, it's the same. I mean, those are generic pictures. Very similar. Go to the website. Food King Chinese, I love- Nah, they got his fucking bar, a scan thing. They're not gonna have it. He might. Damn. American Specialties, that's a good sign. Control F Pizza. So they have a half-fried chicken.

• 21:23Stavros Halkias?

They have the half-fried chicken. That's a pretty good pizza. Pizza, there you go. One, one for two. A dollar eighty-five ain't bad either. They also have fri- yeah, fried roast pork egg roll. Well, that's a classic strip roll. Wow, okay, I stand- Take that, fuckers. I stand corrected. Food King Chinese Restaurant in Trenton, New Jersey. Okay, one for th- we're one for two. That's pretty good. Well, it's two out of three, though. What? I got my answer. Let's, let's, let's take it to- Random city. Let's take it to, uh, Baltimore. Baltimore. Okay, there you go. I like that. You're gonna lose this, man, cuz I've, I've been ordering Chinese food. Peter Chang's too nice. No way. We get to pick that. We get to pick China House. Yeah.

• 22:03Speaker 04

  Oh yeah, that's my spot.

• 22:04Stavros Halkias?

  Go to the website.

• 22:05Speaker 04

  China House.

• 22:06Stavros Halkias?

Yeah, maybe, maybe I'm just a classier guy than you fucking. Maybe it doesn't even come on your radar, dude. That's true. They don't even have rolls, though. Oh, there they do.

• 22:14Speaker 04

  Chef specials?

• 22:15Stavros Halkias?

Appetizers. Appetizer. Roast pork, shrimp, Shanghai, fried donut. I don't see it. No.

• 22:22Speaker 04

  Come on.

• 22:23Stavros Halkias?

But look, I'll give it to you, man. No, they exist.

• 22:25Speaker 04

  Wait, appetizer combo?

• 22:28Stavros Halkias?

  No.

• 22:28Speaker 04

  Pizza roll, right there.

• 22:29Stavros Halkias?

  Oh. Are you serious?

• 22:32Speaker 04

  No.

• 22:32Stavros Halkias?

Yeah, he's lying. Ah, you motherfucker. We all kinda just took your word for it.

• 22:37Speaker 04

  It's under egg foo young.

• 22:39Stavros Halkias?

  Okay. Alright, respect, respect.

• 22:41Speaker 04

  But it exists.

• 22:42Stavros Halkias?

You're up, so, okay, we got to this because we're talking, to me, the idea that you would replace calamari with, uh, a

• 22:48Speaker 04

  Cheesecake egg roll.

• 22:49Stavros Halkias?

Cheesecake egg roll. It's zesty, dude, no, it's like It's not the same thing.

• 22:53Speaker 04

  That's crazy talk.

• 22:54Stavros Halkias?

  That's, we're talking fresh. Alright, well, I'm a little, I'm a little crazy of a guy.

• 22:57Speaker 04

Every time we get to a place, trust me.

• 22:59Stavros Halkias?

First of all, you're taking fucking pizza rolls from a Chinese spot and you're breaking my stones? No, no, he, but he's, Foley's not sa- we have to agree, though, that calamari is not on the same level.

• 23:08Speaker 04

  No.

• 23:09Stavros Halkias?

It's a higher end. They're not on the same menu. It's a higher end, right, right, right, right. In the same place.

• 23:13Speaker 04

It could be on the same menu.

• 23:14Stavros Halkias?

I'm not going to fucking Peter Luger's and getting the cheesecake egg rolls. Maybe, yeah, maybe Cheesecake Factory is the only menu where they exist. They both exist together. It's a very Philadelphia thing as well. Are you trying to turn your life around? Cause you're in, you're in I have. You have. Let's, I have. You have. Well, you know, I'm about two months off the ciggies. That's huge. Pretty good. Both of you. Both of us, two weeks off the cig, uh, two months off the ciggies. Okay. I've been eating pretty good for about a week. A week? Had a bit of a hell scare, really trying to Yeah, what happened? Really tried to turn around with making juices. You're podcasting through adversity right now. I was in the hospital yesterday. I mean, that's crazy. I didn't even know about this. A, a mutual friend of ours was like, oh yeah, Kevin had kidney, or what, what was it? Liver problems.

• 23:57Stavros Halkias?

Liver problems, and I was like, he's coming here in 20 minutes. And I was like, what? And he texted me yesterday, no mention of the hospital. I was in the hospital.

• 24:08Speaker 05

We got a lot of dates dude. What are the promos for?

• 24:11Speaker 04

  Yeah, no shit.

• 24:13Speaker 05

Oh my god. It's 166 gang.

• 24:15Speaker 04

Take a fucking midol and get on the fucking couch.

• 24:19Speaker 04

  Jammed up here.

• 24:20Speaker 05

The kids, Rome has fallen, the kids are taking elves. Go watch the fucking special. Pause this fucking episode and go watch the special. Netflix said no, Hulu didn't answer. Go check it out.

• 24:33Speaker 04

  I'll say this though.

• 24:33Speaker 05

  Suck my dick everybody.

• 24:36Speaker 04

  Pizza egg rolls.

• 24:37Speaker 05

  I'm going over.

• 24:38Stavros Halkias?

Perry went to Paramount plus a spam folder.

• 24:42Speaker 05

  They blocked us.

• 24:44Speaker 04

What are you talking about? We got a bidding war with Tubi.

• 24:48Speaker 04

  Shout out to Tubi.

• 24:50Stavros Halkias?

  Tubi's a great service.

• 24:51Speaker 04

He is, he is, uh, tough on the inside though because he didn't, I didn't know about it until he was on his way to the hospital.

• 24:57Speaker 05

It was fear. I didn't want to, I didn't want to talk about it out loud.

• 25:01Speaker 04

Last week I called him and I was crying because I had a fever.

• 25:04Speaker 05

I was like, I, I literally, I had to talk to him like he's like, you know, I'm like, are you crying right now? Like, I don't fucking need this shit. Meanwhile, I have, I think I have internal bleeding, so I'm like.

• 25:14Speaker 04

He's like, I had to sell a man.

• 25:16Speaker 05

  I'm like, shut up.

• 25:17Stavros Halkias?

Well, I will say, there is something to when you're wildly unhealthy.

• 25:21Speaker 05

Who are you talking about here?

• 25:22Stavros Halkias?

  And everyone in the room.

• 25:24Speaker 05

  Of course.

• 25:24Stavros Halkias?

  Everyone in the room.

• 25:25Speaker 05

We look like hunger, dude, these couches are tough looks for L3.

• 25:28Stavros Halkias?

I know, I'm really sorry guys.

• 25:30Speaker 04

This is, this is the one, uh, pod with the no table that I'm actually comfortable in.

• 25:35Stavros Halkias?

  I love that.

• 25:36Speaker 04

  Yeah.

• 25:36Stavros Halkias?

  Alright, good, good.

• 25:37Speaker 04

  I lean into this.

• 25:38Stavros Halkias?

  Well, uh, we'll, you know.

• 25:39Speaker 04

  I enjoy the couch.

• 25:40Stavros Halkias?

Thank you, man. When we, we are, we, we're working on some upgrades potentially, who knows, but, um, uh.

• 25:46Speaker 04

That's not, you guys, it's my fault, I'm a fat piece of shit.

• 25:48Stavros Halkias?

  No, no.

• 25:49Speaker 05

  It's just the studio.

• 25:50Stavros Halkias?

It could be a little bit.

• 25:50Speaker 05

It's the obesity on our end.

• 25:51Stavros Halkias?

Well, my point was that I know what that's like though, because it's like, anytime you're sick, you're like, well, I could die. You're like, I have earned an early death.

• 26:01Speaker 05

You start thinking, you start questioning every, I'm like, why would I think cigarettes were cool as well? Why is my personality drinking?

• 26:09Stavros Halkias?

  Yes, yes.

• 26:10Speaker 05

Yeah, tough. It started, so, I had a pretty bad fall, bad fall down a flight of stairs, couple of weeks ago.

• 26:18Stavros Halkias?

  Push. Interesting.

• 26:22Speaker 05

  My wife tripped me.

• 26:24Speaker 04

That's what happens when he orders a calamari. Uncle Hank gets angry.

• 26:30Speaker 05

He's wrapping up a tripwire, just cuts to him. That'll peach a kippy.

• 26:37Stavros Halkias?

  Okay.

• 26:37Speaker 05

New pair of socks got me on a, on a

• 26:40Stavros Halkias?

  Fresh pair.

• 26:41Speaker 05

Fresh pair of socks on a, on a, on a steep

• 26:44Stavros Halkias?

  Steep wooden polished.

• 26:46Speaker 05

Kind of curved staircase coming from an attic.

• 26:50Stavros Halkias?

Already a fat man's not a good place.

• 26:53Speaker 05

Not a good place to be.

• 26:54Stavros Halkias?

When you have, if you're wearing fucking, you know, those grippy toe hiking shoes.

• 26:59Speaker 05

That would still be a hard staircase for you.

• 27:01Stavros Halkias?

You should go down on an angle, you know what I mean? Yeah, yeah, yeah, yeah.

• 27:04Speaker 04

Dude, rock climbing shoes is what you need for that. I imagine it's the

• 27:09Stavros Halkias?

  You could be fucking

• 27:12Speaker 04

There's certain, there's certain stairs now that I won't even go out. Have you been to KGB bar down in the east?

• 27:17Stavros Halkias?

  Sure, sure, sure.

• 27:18Speaker 04

I never have and I never will either.

• 27:22Speaker 05

That's a flight of stairs that leads to a flight of stairs.

• 27:25Stavros Halkias?

Yeah, yeah, no, there's a lot of stairs.

• 27:26Speaker 04

Unless I'm, unless that's the stairway to heaven. There's no fucking way.

• 27:31Stavros Halkias?

  Very well could be Hank.

• 27:34Speaker 04

You fall down that, you're done.

• 27:37Stavros Halkias?

So you fall and you're just fucked up?

• 27:39Speaker 05

No, so I fell, scariest part of the fall was I fell and I hit the light switch on the way down. So I landed in complete darkness.

• 27:47Stavros Halkias?

  And you're like, I'm blind?

• 27:51Speaker 05

  Thought it shut down.

• 27:54Speaker 04

  You're mine now, right?

• 27:56Stavros Halkias?

  Holy shit.

• 27:58Speaker 05

  Paralyzed like

• 28:02Stavros Halkias?

  You were fucking dying.

• 28:03Speaker 05

  I thought I was dead.

• 28:04Stavros Halkias?

Which by the way, is the way like, that's the same, what you're describing is a, is a medical problem my 94 grand, year old grandmother has. A big fall from the stairs is like, not a relatively young man's

• 28:18Speaker 05

  No.

• 28:19Speaker 04

I think about that all the time.

• 28:20Speaker 05

I should be like, I, you know, I, I should be pretty spry, I'm 38. Like, you know, that shouldn't take me out.

• 28:26Stavros Halkias?

Stairs aren't the enemy yet, they really shouldn't be.

• 28:28Speaker 04

I stopped going out when it's snowing. Fuck that. Like a day or two after it snows? Nah, nah, nah. That salt melts with the ice? That's how they get you. I had to make sure the Uber drops me off in a driveway, I'm not walking between cars. Pull up on a sidewalk, keep stepping on black ice and fucking going out. I can feel that wrist pain if you cracked it.

• 30:08Speaker 04

So... It's funny how you thought your hell was a dark European kitchen.

• 30:12Speaker 05

I was in my in-laws' house. And I'm a big guy over there.

• 30:16Stavros Halkias?

And by the way, that's like, I don't know your relationship to your in-laws, but it's like, if you ever want, if you, you know, if she's never gonna hear the end of, "Oh, this is what happens when you marry a fat American." It's like, he dies at 38, going down the steps.

• 30:31Speaker 05

Dude, it's so funny, they're so, they're so shocked at the speed and volume of my consumption at like dinner and stuff. You just like, and like, they'll be speaking in German, and then you just hear like, "Fuh, diet coke." And you're like, "That's my diet. They're clocking my DCs over here." They got me on the radar.

• 30:52Stavros Halkias?

Yeah, dude, no, Europe in general, they don't drink many beverages.

• 30:57Speaker 05

  No, they're like a water...

• 30:58Stavros Halkias?

They don't pound, even waters, they're not a pounding.

• 31:02Speaker 05

  No.

• 31:02Stavros Halkias?

  It's not a beverage pounding.

• 31:03Speaker 05

  It's a little more, and mom-like.

• 31:05Speaker 04

Plus, I get an orange juice at lunch, which always throws me off. Every time I was waiting tables, every once in a while, there'd be a European table that they come in and they'd be like, they get burgers and they'd be like, you have orange juice?

• 31:15Speaker 05

  Yeah, yeah, crazy.

• 31:16Stavros Halkias?

Juice is kinda like, so it's like interchangeable with soda. Greek people are like that, too.

• 31:20Speaker 04

They turn their nose up if it ain't fresh squeezed.

• 31:23Speaker 05

Yeah, they don't, they don't do that concentrate shit.

• 31:25Stavros Halkias?

  Sure, sure, sure.

• 31:25Speaker 05

  Um.

• 31:26Speaker 04

  It ain't fresh squeezed.

• 31:27Stavros Halkias?

Damn dude, so you're, you're in, in Germany?

• 31:30Speaker 05

I'm in Germany. Go down bad, flying back the next morning.

• 31:33Stavros Halkias?

  You have to fly?

• 31:34Speaker 05

  The next morning.

• 31:35Stavros Halkias?

How fucked up are you? Do you have bruises and shit?

• 31:37Speaker 05

This is the bruise, dude. It's, it's pretty gnarly.

• 31:40Stavros Halkias?

  Oh my god, that's wild.

• 31:43Speaker 05

I can send it to you.

• 31:44Stavros Halkias?

A J shape on his ass cheeks?

• 31:46Speaker 05

Yeah, it's a tough butt, too.

• 31:47Stavros Halkias?

  Oh, and the back?

• 31:48Speaker 05

  Yeah, back, so back's gone.

• 31:49Stavros Halkias?

  Now you're fucked.

• 31:50Speaker 05

Every dude, I land, everything hurts. Like, the crunch, the, the velocity I had. Everything hurt, so whatever. So I'm hurting for a week or two from that. And then I throw my back out. Other, because I think I was walking so, everything hurt, then my back, I slipped a disc or something.

• 32:10Stavros Halkias?

  Oh my god.

• 32:11Speaker 05

And then I started, I have it right now, as I'm telling the story, I started getting a pain like right under my rib cage when I walked. And I'm like, oh, it's from me walking crooked and stuff, but then I started walking normal again.

• 32:21Speaker 04

  Cirrhosis.

• 32:22Speaker 05

That's what I thought, or fatty liver, or something. And that's like one of those things. When you start going, I, I'm, I'm like, I'm not gonna Google this, because that's when it gets, it's the next stage of realness.

• 32:32Stavros Halkias?

No, I had, I had like a fucking thing that ended up being like really weird specific food poisoning.

• 32:38Speaker 05

  Mm-hmm.

• 32:38Stavros Halkias?

But it fucked up my GI tract in a way that like, the symptoms were like colon cancer.

• 32:43Speaker 05

  Yeah, you're like, this is.

• 32:44Stavros Halkias?

And that Google, like, I was like, I was like, I'm gonna die. Like, I was like, not telling anyone, but I thought I was going to die.

• 32:50Speaker 04

But now they have the, I don't know, when you guys Google, there's an AI-generated thing up top. Sometimes that could be real.

• 32:56Speaker 05

  You are dead.

• 32:56Stavros Halkias?

  You don't want that, man.

• 32:57Speaker 04

Sometimes that could be real soothing. Like, no, don't sweat it. Dude, I love that. But yeah, you're rolling that dice.

• 33:05Stavros Halkias?

The, the solution is buying Ethereum. That's how you solve it.

• 33:09Speaker 05

  I'm a Doge man.

• 33:10Speaker 04

He's a little XRP, fatty. Get you straightened out.

• 33:15Speaker 05

The only thing he knows about crypto.

• 33:18Stavros Halkias?

Um, damn. And so you go, it's, you have a essentially a liver pain.

• 33:23Speaker 05

Liver pain. And it's after I walk about two and a half minutes, it kicks in. Same spot like I walk, I walk my dog every morning and it's the, it hits at the same.

• 33:32Stavros Halkias?

  Wow.

• 33:33Speaker 05

Like the same level of exertion. Yeah. And I'm like, fuck dude.

• 33:37Speaker 04

I tried to talk you down yesterday. You sent me a rude text message.

• 33:41Speaker 05

This dude, it's insane. I literally text him, we're like talking about, you know, you know, things are falling left and right. That aren't good. We're dealing with, we're putting out fires.

• 33:52Stavros Halkias?

  Of course.

• 33:52Speaker 05

Business wise. And he's sick. Um, he has no idea that I'm like, buddy, um, we might, I might not make it out of the week. It was, it was, it was also oddly one of those pains where like you just picture when you do go, they'd be like, why didn't you come in two weeks ago? You know what I mean? Like that's what's in my head. I know exactly what I said to you. He goes, I had no need to call me back. Like we text, he called me, I missed it. He goes, hey, no need to call me back.

• 34:17Speaker 04

All right, hold on. I said, are you okay? Now I want to talk to you because whenever there's something up, I always want to talk to him. It's like when I talk to him on the phone.

• 34:24Speaker 05

Well, he goes, like I go, I'm on my way to the hospital. He goes, well, now I want to talk to you. I'm like, well, this is weirdly about you.

• 34:29Stavros Halkias?

  Right. No, that's insane.

• 34:31Speaker 04

I wanted to talk to you before you went in case the worst happened.

• 34:34Speaker 05

Now I want to talk to you. He makes me go into the hospital about him. And now he's still there.

• 34:40Speaker 04

I gotta get the Instagram codes and the bank information. The show must go on.

• 34:48Speaker 04

I don't got keys to the studio.

• 34:52Speaker 05

  And I go, hey, man.

• 34:54Speaker 04

But hold on, I, I got, I got it right here. I go, I was, I was trying to make him feel better. I go, I was thinking maybe it's from the cleanse this weekend.

• 35:02Speaker 05

Cause I went that dude, I went, I went down the shore. I'm like, I'm getting the fuck out of the city. No booze in, no eating shady. I started, I drank like.

• 35:07Stavros Halkias?

  Shore, the Jersey Shore cleanse.

• 35:09Speaker 05

Three green juices and I told him, he's like, also like he puts his stethoscope on and he's like, it's the green juices. I'm like, maybe your liver wasn't used to that shit.

• 35:20Speaker 04

  Calamari and cheesesteak noodles.

• 35:22Stavros Halkias?

Yeah. Get you a little calamari.

• 35:24Speaker 04

He responds back. He goes, thanks, but guy with no medical experience. Last person I want to talk to has to the hospital.

• 35:32Speaker 05

Has him on my way to the hospital. Ah, yeah. Oh, well, my fat idiot friend, my fatter, dumber friend. Said it could be the naked juice I have.

• 35:43Speaker 04

I told him, don't drink that celery shit.

• 35:47Speaker 04

  That's what you get.

• 35:48Speaker 05

That Dr. Oz is a quack.

• 35:50Stavros Halkias?

  That's so fucking funny.

• 35:52Speaker 04

We quit smoking. And we're the worst we've ever been.

• 35:55Speaker 05

I know, dude, we are fucking bullshit.

• 35:57Stavros Halkias?

  Interesting.

• 35:57Speaker 05

Our bodies are going into shock.

• 35:59Stavros Halkias?

  That, I mean, you're definitely.

• 36:00Speaker 04

Once you ride the lightning, you can't get off.

• 36:01Stavros Halkias?

That definitely is true, like, the withdrawal of that is fucking you up.

• 36:05Speaker 05

Well, I've been off the booze.

• 36:06Stavros Halkias?

But it doesn't mean start smoking.

• 36:08Speaker 05

No, I've relatively been off the booze too, like, a couple days here and, like, compared to what it is.

• 36:12Stavros Halkias?

  Yeah.

• 36:13Speaker 05

I've been going like a week without drinking, which is like, even having a beer is pretty, you know.

• 36:17Stavros Halkias?

  Yeah.

• 36:17Speaker 05

Pretty big if I'm like out doing spots or whatever, dinner, you know what I mean?

• 36:20Stavros Halkias?

Yeah, yeah, yeah, where you're supposed to not get fucked up.

• 36:22Speaker 05

Sit there and talk to my wife?

• 36:25Speaker 04

Let me tell you something, nothing's worse than dinner without drinking. Going out to dinner.

• 36:29Speaker 05

  I don't do it. I don't do it.

• 36:31Speaker 04

And not having a fucking drink? Holy shit.

• 36:35Speaker 05

  Nothing, huh?

• 36:36Speaker 04

Boring. You feel more than or something. Have you ever had a fucking roll of Easters and an iced tea? Fucking throw up.

• 36:42Speaker 05

T-bone steak and an orange juice.

• 36:44Stavros Halkias?

How is it materially different, unexperienced?

• 36:48Speaker 05

Cause you're not getting fucked up. It sucks.

• 36:50Stavros Halkias?

  Oh, I see, I see, you're just.

• 36:52Speaker 05

  You're not an alcoholic.

• 36:53Stavros Halkias?

You simply can't do an activity not getting fucked up.

• 36:56Speaker 05

I can't do, if I like, when I go, like, right now, I'm not drinking a bunch, or less, I'm drinking less, and like, it's severe, my, my week severely, I left the city and turned down spots.

• 37:07Stavros Halkias?

  Yeah, yeah, yeah.

• 37:08Speaker 05

I'm shocked, I gotta, I gotta leave the state and dry out for three days.

• 37:12Stavros Halkias?

  Respect, dude.

• 37:13Speaker 04

  You know what I'm saying?

• 37:14Stavros Halkias?

  Yeah.

• 37:14Speaker 04

You don't like, what, what is your drink?

• 37:16Stavros Halkias?

Conversation with, I've been sober for a year now.

• 37:18Speaker 04

You have? I didn't know that.

• 37:20Stavros Halkias?

  I, well, I was.

• 37:21Speaker 05

  You look great, buddy.

• 37:22Stavros Halkias?

Thank you, yeah, we're getting there, but I took, it's about to be a year.

• 37:25Speaker 05

  Right.

• 37:26Stavros Halkias?

Um, cause it was just, it was just for my birth, like, I turned thirty-five and I was like, I was kind of, kind of what you're describing was how I felt where I was like. These tours, all this shit, I'm getting fucked up, I'm eating like shit, I'm taking drugs, I was more of a, you know, weed, pills, whatever guy, not a, not a booze guy. Yeah, yeah, yeah, yeah, exactly, Dr. Foley, I was going to the same pharmacist as Dr. Foley.

• 37:50Speaker 04

What was your, what would you pull, pills did you like?

• 37:52Stavros Halkias?

  I liked Xanax, I like.

• 37:53Speaker 05

That, that stuff, those are dangerous.

• 37:55Stavros Halkias?

  Yeah, I know they are.

• 37:56Speaker 05

  Not things that's sleeping.

• 37:57Speaker 04

That didn't just put you to sleep?

• 37:59Stavros Halkias?

But yeah, that's what it was, it was like, it's the, the like, constantly fucked up schedule.

• 38:04Speaker 05

And you rationalize it with like, I'll pop two of these and get a good night.

• 38:08Stavros Halkias?

Yeah, exactly, I can't sleep, I'm too whatever, I'm too wired.

• 38:10Speaker 05

I do it with the booze.

• 38:11Stavros Halkias?

Adderall, same thing, it was like highs, it was basically like, it's the poor man's speedball.

• 38:16Speaker 05

It's what you, it's what anybody who lives a life of touring has.

• 38:20Speaker 04

  Poor man's speedball.

• 38:21Stavros Halkias?

And then, and then I was like, well, hmm, what happens to fat comedians when they take uppers and downers? Every day, and I was like, oh, I know what happens.

• 38:30Speaker 05

  Yeah, we die.

• 38:30Stavros Halkias?

Yeah, yeah, so, so anyway, so, and so.

• 38:35Speaker 04

Dragging you out of a Marriott in a fucking Thursday morning.

• 38:38Stavros Halkias?

Yeah, I can't, my last hours cannot be.

• 38:41Speaker 05

Fishing out of the pool with the hook.

• 38:42Stavros Halkias?

Yeah, dude, I don't want to be in a fuck, I don't want to expire in a Kimpton.

• 38:47Speaker 05

Fuck, you got a couple of bucks.

• 38:50Stavros Halkias?

  Sorry.

• 38:51Speaker 04

You get to make your own waffle there.

• 38:54Stavros Halkias?

Foley's like, excuse me, why can't I make the waffle? Why am I paying more for someone else to make a waffle haphazardly? They don't even know to put a little fucking couple of chocolate chips in the middle.

• 39:06Speaker 04

I always fuck that up, man, I make a mess when I do that shit.

• 39:09Speaker 05

There's been, you know, uh, you know, there's, obviously, we don't live, obviously, we're the healthiest lifestyles.

• 39:14Stavros Halkias?

  Yeah.

• 39:15Speaker 05

But there's been times in the morning where we're like, alright, lobby calls 10 a.m. to the next city.

• 39:19Stavros Halkias?

  Yeah, yeah, yeah.

• 39:19Speaker 05

And he's always up, like, it's because he's so punctual and up early.

• 39:23Stavros Halkias?

  Right, right, right.

• 39:23Speaker 05

We get up early, we start sending texts to each other, you, like, outside of the rest of the team, like, let's go, let's go hit a brekkie.

• 39:29Stavros Halkias?

  Yeah, yeah, yeah.

• 39:30Speaker 05

It's like, yeah, we'll do that, and when if I don't hear from him, and like, lobby calls 10 and it's like, 9:50, I start texting everybody else, like, yeah, we got eyes on the big man? And I start going like, fuck, this is the one, dude, like, I'm gonna have to. We're in the Minneapolis days in, like, this sucks.

• 39:46Stavros Halkias?

Minneapolis, remember that literally happened? Oh, you weren't there, it was Ben, were you there with Ben? Acme?

• 39:55Speaker 03

  Oh, no, no, no.

• 39:56Stavros Halkias?

Dude, that happened. Oh, it was Ben O'Brien. Literally, I was like, alright, it was like, we'll get a fucking, let's, um, you know, we'll go get dinner or we'll go get lunch. And, uh, and I just fell asleep, like, I was just napping. And dude, it was like, I had ten missed calls. I had, the hotel phone was calling. I just wake up to like, stop! Stop! I'm like, oh, oh, sorry guys, I fell asleep and I was like, Jesus Christ, he literally thought I was dead, dude. My, one of my best friends was like, huh, huh, quick, get the ma- does the maintenance man have an axe?

• 40:38Stavros Halkias?

The fu- the, uh, the key card's not working, someone quick, break the door down. And it was, I had fallen asleep, but I was like, oh my god, dude. I have to fucking change how I'm fucking, I have to change it all.

• 40:52Speaker 05

  It's, uh,

• 40:52Speaker 04

  But, that's great, a year.

• 40:54Speaker 05

A year, yeah, that's really good.

• 40:55Stavros Halkias?

It's been a year, whatever, but I like, you know.

• 40:57Speaker 04

I keep forgetting that we, like, I'm not good at like, looking at like, things positively or like, giving myself any credit for anything.

• 41:05Stavros Halkias?

  Mm-hmm.

• 41:06Speaker 04

You know, pretty, pretty poor view of me as a human being.

• 41:10Stavros Halkias?

  Sure, sure.

• 41:10Speaker 04

  Rightly so.

• 41:11Stavros Halkias?

  Fully, yeah.

• 41:12Speaker 04

I keep forgetting that we quit smoking.

• 41:14Speaker 05

  It's wild.

• 41:15Stavros Halkias?

  That's huge, yeah.

• 41:16Speaker 04

  I keep forgetting that.

• 41:17Stavros Halkias?

  That's big.

• 41:18Speaker 04

I mean, it's, I mean, you know, to drop in the bucket.

• 41:20Stavros Halkias?

And this is how, a couple of months, you said?

• 41:22Speaker 05

Yeah, two, yeah, two and, two and change or so.

• 41:24Speaker 04

I can tell it, it's different than any other time.

• 41:27Stavros Halkias?

  Yeah, nice.

• 41:27Speaker 05

  Um, yeah.

• 41:28Stavros Halkias?

So you, you, you, no, no cigarettes at your, what? Cause we also need to talk about this, your wedding, your destination, the last time we were here.

• 41:36Speaker 05

  That was, there was heaters.

• 41:37Speaker 04

The twenty ninth, I think, was the last time I had one.

• 41:39Stavros Halkias?

That's kinda nice, the last time, you know.

• 41:41Speaker 04

  Yeah.

• 41:41Stavros Halkias?

Your wedding was the last big event, you're smoking cigarettes?

• 41:44Speaker 04

Yeah, like, a couple of days later.

• 41:46Speaker 05

  Real gentleman.

• 41:47Stavros Halkias?

  Beautiful.

• 41:47Speaker 04

Me and the broad went on a, went on a drunk. Uh, after everybody had, had, after everybody had left, when we were, we were just in Hawaii by ourselves. We went out to breakfast and fucking couple of Mai Tais and you know, like when, what's great is like.

• 42:02Speaker 05

Went out to breakfast and had a couple of Mai Tais.

• 42:04Speaker 04

  God forbid.

• 42:05Speaker 05

Couple of Mai Tais, couple of C. It's a crazy honeymoon.

• 42:08Speaker 04

But you know, you know what's awesome, it wasn't a honeymoon, but you know what's crazy is you have those days where it's like, all right, you're on vacation or whatever.

• 42:15Stavros Halkias?

So you would say of a, a vacay, couple of days off in Hawaii after a wedding would not qualify to you as even sort of a honeymoon.

• 42:24Speaker 05

  That is.

• 42:24Speaker 04

No, we're gonna, we're gonna do something.

• 42:26Speaker 05

No, but that is a honeymoon period. It's not like you flew right back home. You took a couple of days and enjoyed the.

• 42:31Speaker 04

  A couple of days.

• 42:32Stavros Halkias?

  Yeah.

• 42:33Speaker 04

  Something to eat. Sure.

• 42:34Stavros Halkias?

  Yeah.

• 42:35Speaker 04

  Couple of.

• 42:35Speaker 05

  Couple of Zany bars.

• 42:37Speaker 04

Her family was here. But you know that moment where it's like, and I've never really been that much of a day drinker guy.

• 42:43Stavros Halkias?

You know, you're just married into this family, been dating her, you know, how many presidents now?

• 42:49Speaker 04

But like, when you have that drink at breakfast and you're like, man, we're getting fucked up all day.

• 42:53Stavros Halkias?

  That is a great.

• 42:53Speaker 05

Love it. There's nothing better than day drinking.

• 42:56Stavros Halkias?

  That is a great.

• 42:56Speaker 04

An omelet hits the table, how you doing?

• 42:58Stavros Halkias?

Especially, especially when you're fat as shit and like, when I was drinking, it would be like, there'd be days where like, the booze didn't agree with me because I had been eating like shit and like your stomach.

• 43:10Speaker 04

  Sure.

• 43:10Stavros Halkias?

But those days where you drink it and you just feel like, oh, the magic elixir kicks in and you feel like, cause those were awesome. You're like, oh, I'm gonna be drunk for 14 hours.

• 43:21Speaker 05

It's a couple of stages. It's like, ooh, it's because you're like looking forward. You're like, I'm gonna have a drink and then it hits me like, oh, that's pretty good. And then you start, you get the little bit of head change and you're like.

• 43:30Stavros Halkias?

  Yeah.

• 43:30Speaker 05

And then you have that second or third and like the vibes of the table start going like, oh, we're.

• 43:33Stavros Halkias?

  You're getting better.

• 43:34Speaker 05

  We're in it, baby.

• 43:35Stavros Halkias?

You don't have diarrhea. You're like, I don't, I've been drinking for five hours. I'm not shitting.

• 43:40Speaker 05

More cheesesteak egg rolls for me and my friends.

• 43:42Speaker 04

We just had that at the Eagles game. We went out to, we, we met up with, uh, Tommy Pope and O'Connor.

• 43:47Stavros Halkias?

  Love that. Great crew.

• 43:48Speaker 04

Great squad at this, at this bar in, uh, in Center City. They just opened.

• 43:53Speaker 05

We actually waited out front for like 10 minutes until they opened.

• 43:56Stavros Halkias?

  Yeah.

• 43:57Speaker 04

Looking forward to a great day. This dude hits me and him with like, I like, I, I got a Pilsner or something like that and it went down like butter. We, I was like, man, this is gonna be a fucking problem.

• 44:08Speaker 05

  They were so good.

• 44:09Speaker 04

  Burn, nothing like that.

• 44:10Stavros Halkias?

No heartburn when you're fat as shit and you're like.

• 44:12Speaker 04

  That's all behind this thing.

• 44:15Speaker 04

  Serious.

Tried to invite you to a nice place with nice people.

• 46:18Speaker 04

He fucking fall down the steps and he's like, fuck out of my face. Tell him how many cutlets you had at your fucking.

• 46:25Stavros Halkias?

I wonder, I wonder if all the fucking, the flight time from Hawaii to fucking Germany, maybe that had, maybe that had depleted you, man.

• 46:32Speaker 05

  Sure, I was, I was, I didn't know what.

• 46:34Speaker 04

  Liver spots?

• 46:34Speaker 05

  I didn't, I didn't know what hemisphere I was in.

• 46:37Speaker 04

Maybe you got liver spots from a Delta flight.

• 46:40Speaker 05

  Comfort plus my ass.

• 46:43Speaker 04

  Bad plane to Tortle Leaf.

• 46:46Speaker 04

  Tell him honestly.

• 46:47Speaker 05

  What?

• 46:47Speaker 04

Tell him. How the wedding was?

• 46:50Speaker 05

  It was pretty good.

• 46:50Speaker 04

  Oh, you fucking.

• 46:52Speaker 05

Nah, it was, it was very, it was, listen.

• 46:54Stavros Halkias?

No. Beach ceremony, are you on the beach?

• 46:56Speaker 05

Beach ceremony, yeah, yeah, very nice.

• 46:57Speaker 04

It's grass over here, it's not sand.

• 46:59Stavros Halkias?

  Okay.

• 47:00Speaker 04

  But it's beach.

• 47:01Stavros Halkias?

  But you're by the beach?

• 47:02Speaker 04

  Yeah, we need a water.

• 47:04Speaker 05

You ever been to Dover? Similar vibes.

• 47:07Speaker 04

No, it's like the front yard at Magnum's.

• 47:08Stavros Halkias?

He went, he goes to Hawaii, he gets fucking, he gets fucking married in front of a pool. He's like, ah, the steep, the hill was too steep to get to the beach.

• 47:17Speaker 04

  An infinity.

• 47:17Stavros Halkias?

  It's water.

• 47:19Speaker 04

  It's all the same.

• 47:22Speaker 05

No, it was, it was beautiful. It was as picturesque, perfect as you could have imagined, to the point where like, I was pretty fucked up.

• 47:29Stavros Halkias?

  Yeah.

• 47:29Speaker 05

And, uh, went outs, went outside for a heater, like off the, the premises, you know what I mean? Excuse myself, like you do over to the smoking section. And I came back in and then like the sun had went down, like, you know, it's like this, and like the, the string lights had lit up because it was outdoor and like everything, like the vibe fucking, whoo, like hit. And I walked in, you know, half cocked and I was like, it hit me like, who the, this is, I'm like, who the fuck's getting married? Like, this is crazy. And then I went, oh, he is. Like, it felt like Brad Pitt's fucking, it was that nice.

• 48:01Speaker 04

And he took a run at my mother.

• 48:03Speaker 05

Dude, she was all over me, dude. It was wild. It was texting me, fucking trying to dance with me. It was.

• 48:11Speaker 04

  It's fucking broad.

• 48:12Stavros Halkias?

Should've taken her for a spin.

• 48:13Speaker 05

Dude, she was putting her cigs, he was smoking cigs. I'm like, listen, I was, you know, I, I, we were at the hotel, I'd removed myself to the street. Smoke, but then I'm dropping it or whatever, you know? Okay, I'm not like just, you know, I'm not flicking in the bushes or anything. Drop it on the sidewalk.

• 48:27Speaker 04

Can't do that shit over there.

• 48:28Stavros Halkias?

  No.

• 48:28Speaker 05

And dude, she's putting them out and then putting them in her bra and like, save like, so she's not littering.

• 48:34Speaker 04

And she's like, I've been putting them in my bra. That's my mother, goddammit.

• 48:39Stavros Halkias?

At her son's destination wedding, that's awesome. Marlboro Marlboro 100s in her bra.

• 48:45Speaker 04

I joke, but it was, uh, you know, all the shit that I took for it and all that stuff.

• 48:49Speaker 05

  It was great.

• 48:49Speaker 04

It was, and it was everything that we wanted it, you know, cause all the, all the younger kids in, in, in my family, which I'm, I'm very tight with. They all got to go. They were all there. They were all mixing it up and hanging out and it reminded me of what my childhood was like. When we would go on vacation with all those families, it's like, you know, the other families.

• 49:06Stavros Halkias?

  Yeah.

• 49:07Speaker 04

It'd be all of us mixed together in like different hotel rooms and goofing around and this and that.

• 49:11Stavros Halkias?

  Yeah.

• 49:11Speaker 04

So it had that vibe, but it was fucking, you know, it was, it was, you know, in paradise.

• 49:15Stavros Halkias?

  That's beautiful.

• 49:16Speaker 04

  And it was great.

• 49:17Stavros Halkias?

  Love that.

• 49:18Speaker 04

Everything's been a nightmare since we got back.

• 49:21Speaker 04

We had a hell of a two weeks.

• 49:22Stavros Halkias?

One thing I loved about it was we had, we were talking bef, like pretty close to before. And you just straight up did not have like the shirt you were gonna wear to your wedding.

• 49:30Speaker 04

  Funny you mention that.

• 49:31Speaker 05

So it's pretty funny that he's been wearing it after, which is wild, right? Like he's like.

• 49:38Stavros Halkias?

I was gonna wear it today. Go to a spot.

• 49:39Speaker 05

He's been wearing it on pod, like on the pod. And I'm like, he's like, does this look familiar? I'm like, did you get married in that shirt?

• 49:46Speaker 04

Why wouldn't I fucking wear it?

• 49:47Speaker 05

  It was just odd.

• 49:49Speaker 04

  No, it's not.

• 49:50Speaker 05

  Yes, it is.

• 49:51Speaker 04

If I wore the pants with it.

• 49:52Stavros Halkias?

What pants? What was the move?

• 49:54Speaker 04

  Great.

• 49:54Speaker 05

  Cargo shorts?

• 49:55Speaker 04

No, I looked like an extra from The Sopranos.

• 49:58Speaker 05

  Looks like Bobby Bakalas standing.

• 50:02Stavros Halkias?

On your fucking, the wedding you said was perfect. You were wearing cargo shorts for.

• 50:07Speaker 04

I did have real fucking Bobby Bakalas team two vibes. Second team vibes coming in. Bobby, let me take this one?

• 50:15Stavros Halkias?

  Yeah.

• 50:16Speaker 04

  Yeah, yeah.

• 50:17Stavros Halkias?

  Hilarious. I love that.

• 50:19Speaker 04

Pair of, what, what are they? Rayon or something like that? The pants? That didn't quite.

• 50:23Speaker 05

  Alaberton make them?

• 50:24Speaker 04

Didn't quite fit down the bottom.

• 50:26Speaker 05

You look good though. No, you look, you look good. It was genuinely from a, a guy who's been in the inner makings of this and highly doubtful most of the time.

• 50:36Stavros Halkias?

Couldn't, didn't think you could pull it off.

• 50:38Speaker 05

  Yeah, it pulled it fantastically.

• 50:40Stavros Halkias?

That's what I like to hear.

• 50:40Speaker 05

It was great. It was really, it was very nice.

• 50:42Stavros Halkias?

  I'm happy for you.

• 50:44Speaker 05

I love flying to Hawaii for 72 hours.

• 50:46Speaker 04

  That was rough.

• 50:47Speaker 05

Been getting back, been getting back for Christmas.

• 50:49Stavros Halkias?

But it was at a time where tickets were cheap, right? Fe, uh, December 23rd?

• 50:53Speaker 05

December 23rd to the 24th is the cheapest time to fly.

• 51:00Speaker 04

It's probably a bad time to bring this up. Still waiting on an envelope though.

• 51:05Speaker 05

From, oh, he had to give him a gift.

• 51:08Speaker 04

About to do the thank you cards.

• 51:11Speaker 04

Once I start writing them, I can't accept anything.

• 51:15Speaker 05

  Oh, keep going. You're good.

• 51:20Speaker 05

I tried to pick up a check while we were out there and you said no.

• 51:23Speaker 04

Yeah, the fucking pool bar. I'm not letting you off in fucking seventy bucks, dude. You son of a bitch.

• 51:32Speaker 04

You want all these cheese steak egg rolls?

• 51:36Speaker 05

  I didn't have that burger.

• 51:37Speaker 04

  No, it was very sweet.

• 51:38Speaker 05

It was, uh, I mean, you know, yeah, you were.

• 51:41Stavros Halkias?

  That's awesome.

• 51:42Speaker 05

The company took care of you.

• 51:44Stavros Halkias?

  Oh, yeah.

• 51:44Speaker 04

  Of course.

• 51:45Stavros Halkias?

  Sure, sure, sure.

• 51:45Speaker 05

He was, Tony, Tony did a good job.

• 51:47Stavros Halkias?

  Yeah.

• 51:47Speaker 04

Of course. Shout out to the bozos and the hoes.

• 51:49Stavros Halkias?

So marital bliss has not been so great. Your life after marriage has not been great. No.

• 51:55Speaker 05

I don't think it was great enough to me either.

• 51:58Speaker 04

  What?

• 51:58Speaker 05

I think when they were drunk.

• 51:59Speaker 04

  Take this turn.

• 52:00Speaker 05

I think being drunk in Hawaii was pretty cool. But the goalposts on either end were probably a little fucking turbulent.

• 52:08Stavros Halkias?

Yeah, what's the, what's the, what's, what has the honeymoon?

• 52:10Speaker 04

We got some calls. What's going on in here?

• 52:15Speaker 05

Has anybody ever fallen down a white stairs?

• 52:17Speaker 04

You're bringing up bullshit. Yeah, I have a lot to fucking deal with.

• 52:22Speaker 04

I got my fucking problems. Sure.

• 52:27Speaker 05

  Man, he's been.

• 52:28Stavros Halkias?

  God, you're the man, Foley.

• 52:29Speaker 05

He's been brutal since we got back.

• 52:31Stavros Halkias?

Such Philly trash to just have a really nice vacation, basically, and just make all your loved ones be there. And not, not really think about what happens afterwards.

• 52:41Speaker 04

  Everybody had a great time.

• 52:43Speaker 05

  That's all he's worried about.

• 52:44Stavros Halkias?

  Yeah, yeah, yeah, yeah, yeah.

• 52:45Speaker 05

  You guys have fun?

• 52:45Speaker 04

  They had a great time.

• 52:46Stavros Halkias?

Yeah, which I, you know, I respect on some level.

• 52:48Speaker 04

  It brought us closer together.

• 52:50Stavros Halkias?

  That's beautiful, man.

• 52:51Speaker 05

Dude, I show up, we, I, we show, I show up a day late. I think he got there a day before me. I show up a day later.

• 52:56Speaker 04

He got there, I was all fucked up.

• 52:57Speaker 05

He, Kasey, Eve walks up like, you know, you get out of the pool, you put your shirt back on and like the bottom half of your shirt's wet.

• 53:04Stavros Halkias?

  Yes, yes.

• 53:04Speaker 05

He comes out, no shoes at the, at the resort, like meets me on the sidewalk.

• 53:08Stavros Halkias?

Outrigger Reef in, uh, Waikiki. Can't say enough about it.

• 53:11Speaker 05

No, no shoes, no flip flops, just like, looks like he got thrown in the pool.

• 53:15Stavros Halkias?

  Yeah, yeah, yeah.

• 53:16Speaker 04

Looks like a king down there for a couple of weeks.

• 53:18Speaker 05

He's like, give me a hug. He's got like ketchup on him. I'm like, dude, I'm not touching it.

• 53:24Speaker 04

It was a lot. It's something, you know, every time that we're over there, we always say, you know, excuse me, I'll be great if so and so was here, you know, how nice would it be? And then to have that actually happen. You know, it means a lot. That's a little misty.

• 53:37Stavros Halkias?

Well, here's the, I like that. I wonder.

• 53:39Speaker 04

The wrong guy to try to get a hug at it, I'll tell you that.

• 53:41Speaker 05

  Yeah, just for eighteen hours.

• 53:43Stavros Halkias?

  Right, right, right, right.

• 53:45Speaker 05

No, I we, I hug you, but like dude, he doesn't get, he's like so, he's like, he's sweating, he's cross eyed.

• 53:51Stavros Halkias?

He wants, he wants you to be teary eyed at some point.

• 53:53Speaker 04

I was that drunk pool sweat too.

• 53:55Speaker 05

And he'd been drinking Mai Tais for like six hours. Literally, his nephew, who's like fourteen, he's like yelling at his nephew. Right? We're like by the pool and he's going, you gotta fucking.

• 54:07Speaker 05

And his nephew looked at him and looked at him and then looked at me and goes, what the fuck's he talking about? I go, oh, no one respects you.

• 54:15Speaker 05

This fourteen year old kid went, what the fuck are you talking about?

• 54:18Speaker 04

He's got a lot to say. They all do.

• 54:23Speaker 04

My one cousin in conversation with young cousins.

• 54:25Speaker 05

He was like, tell us some foley stories. Like, well, one time, he really inappropriately talked about how he saw a ghost for three hours at a dinner with important people. I was like, I don't know what that means, but alright.

• 54:34Stavros Halkias?

  He saw a ghost.

• 54:36Speaker 05

He's like, he kept, apparently Foles at a dinner and just kept going on and on about a ghost he saw.

• 54:40Speaker 04

  Somebody asked me.

• 54:43Speaker 04

I fucking did see a ghost. I'm not gonna sit there and lie, you fucking asshole.

• 54:48Speaker 05

Really seeing him around his family, extended family, really gave me perspective.

• 54:53Stavros Halkias?

  Right.

• 54:54Speaker 05

Of how, I mean, cause like we're so intimately connected at this point. We talk all day, see each other every day, travel the whole nine yards. So like, I'm in the world with him. Like, we're counterparts in this world that like, I don't see from the outside in.

• 55:05Stavros Halkias?

  Of course, of course.

• 55:06Speaker 05

And to see them in his, it's, I was just like, ah, this is, you're, you're a psychopath in this world.

• 55:13Stavros Halkias?

Now, so you're saying the context of his family just kind of clarified who he is to you or like?

• 55:18Speaker 05

  No.

• 55:18Stavros Halkias?

You couldn't blame it on the family anymore or like what was it?

• 55:22Speaker 05

It was more just like, I don't know, he's obviously a, you know, I love him, but we're both, but he's a, you know, he's a, he's a wild card.

• 55:28Stavros Halkias?

Out of his mind, wild card. But that makes sense. The, cause you're, cause it's your, it's your wife who's from Hawaii. Why, right?

• 55:34Speaker 04

  Yeah.

• 55:34Stavros Halkias?

So, yeah, you are, so your family is a bunch of just people from Philly and you're

• 55:40Speaker 04

  Suburbs.

• 55:41Stavros Halkias?

Suburbs, but and you are their big fat party animal.

• 55:44Speaker 05

That's what I'd like to see.

• 55:45Stavros Halkias?

Comedy, who like not, here's how much

• 55:48Speaker 04

Really, I was never the party animal like that. I always kept that like I never like went to the family parties and got fucked up.

• 55:54Stavros Halkias?

No, no, no, but who you are though is like, you are, you out of that, you grew up, you grew up to be the guy who like has a drunk ass destination wedding in Hawaii. You know what I mean?

• 56:05Speaker 05

Yeah, you're doing bitch, you're out there trying to make people laugh.

• 56:07Stavros Halkias?

And you're a comedian, you know what I mean? Like you are sort of like sort of the mascot almost of the family.

• 56:12Speaker 05

Him and his mom bicker like they're married. It's crazy. Like to the point where I was like, they might hook up. Like that's how the sexual tension on day two was crazy. I'm like, I'm talking to Cassie, I'm like, they might fuck, are they fucking? Like this is, this is wild.

• 56:27Speaker 04

What, am I gonna somebody else fuck her?

• 56:30Stavros Halkias?

On my way, on my big day, someone else is gonna fuck my mom.

• 56:34Speaker 04

  Dude, we're friends.

• 56:35Speaker 05

  I get there.

• 56:36Speaker 04

  We're fucking boys.

• 56:37Speaker 05

I get there, they're go, they're bickering, they're at the table, they're bickering, they're both fucked up, they're bickering and like

• 56:42Speaker 04

She's not fucked up. Don't hate my mother. She's a goddamn angel.

• 56:45Stavros Halkias?

  Yeah.

• 56:45Speaker 04

She's not feeling well right now.

• 56:47Speaker 05

  Alright, I'm sorry.

• 56:48Stavros Halkias?

  We'll send her some

• 56:49Speaker 05

Don't you say that about the

• 56:50Speaker 04

  She hung over.

• 56:53Speaker 04

  I'm kidding.

• 56:54Speaker 05

  Irish flu.

• 56:55Speaker 04

  Colombian.

• 56:56Speaker 05

Uh, yeah, it was just, it was, it was funny to, I had never seen that. I'd only seen it like after a show or whatever, like, hey, you know.

• 57:03Speaker 04

You got a full dose of

• 57:04Speaker 05

I got a full dose of the Foleyville.

• 57:05Speaker 04

  And they all love Kippy.

• 57:06Stavros Halkias?

  Yeah.

• 57:07Speaker 05

How could you not? You know, you're a guy, I'm out there picking up checks, at least trying to.

• 57:13Stavros Halkias?

Attempting to pay for four chicken finger baskets.

• 57:19Speaker 04

It's a Dave and Buster's card I fucking put down.

• 57:24Speaker 04

I do, I was fucked up that first night. We got, we got after it. There was a little crew.

• 57:29Speaker 05

Trying to do the math for the, for the tip and I'm like, let me just do it.

• 57:33Speaker 04

There was a little crew that got there like the day early. It was like me, two of my cousins.

• 57:40Speaker 05

Dude, they're all sunburnt, not one of them used sun, and they're like looking at you.

• 57:43Stavros Halkias?

  Yeah, yeah, yeah.

• 57:44Speaker 05

  Like a lobster.

• 57:45Stavros Halkias?

The group trips were, yeah, even within a tight group, the factions that form.

• 57:50Speaker 04

  Oh, it's great.

• 57:51Stavros Halkias?

  It's very fun.

• 57:52Speaker 04

  Yeah, very fun.

• 57:53Stavros Halkias?

Like, day after, the day before, people, always fun.

• 57:56Speaker 05

It did feel like you came in and like everybody, it was like you showed up to the second day of school, and everybody had already made, they're like, do the thing! And you're like, I'm out of all these inside jokes.

• 58:04Stavros Halkias?

  Yeah.

• 58:05Speaker 04

Missing a party, remember when you'd miss a party in high school? It always seemed like it was the funnest one.

• 58:09Speaker 05

Nah, I was at every party.

• 58:13Speaker 05

Every party that my parents threw.

• 58:14Stavros Halkias?

Yeah. Alright, well, we do, we have to, you know, to Foley's wish, we do have to take some calls, but before we do, we were talking about what you get on a cheesesteak, and I do feel like I would not be doing my host duties to throw that out there in the beginning.

• 58:32Speaker 05

  Sure, and bring it back.

• 58:33Stavros Halkias?

And not have your official cheesesteak order.

• 58:37Speaker 04

Yeah, Kevin, you wanna go first?

• 58:39Speaker 05

Uh, sure, I ventured off, and I don't get them a lot anymore, because I'm just not down there enough, but when I do, I go pretty classic. I'll do, you know, American with, for the most, American cheese with fried onions. That's about it. I just keep it, I don't like taking, I don't like rolling the dice, I mean like, ah, that, I just wanna scratch the itch of, I have one or two of these a year.

• 59:04Stavros Halkias?

Right, right, right, right, right. But you'll go straight meat cheese, you don't want any, any vegetable accoutrement.

• 59:10Speaker 05

Nah, I'm not a veggie guy. I don't know, you heard about the green juices, but aside from that.

• 59:14Stavros Halkias?

Words getting out, you had three green juices, man.

• 59:17Speaker 04

  Mucus liver.

• 59:18Speaker 05

Hey, whatever it is, it solved it. I got a, I got a clean bill of health from the, from the ER doctor.

• 59:23Stavros Halkias?

  Uh, okay, interesting. Foley?

• 59:25Speaker 04

Uh, thank you for the question. Um, I like to handle this in three parts, if I could.

• 59:29Stavros Halkias?

  Of course.

• 59:30Speaker 04

Now, if it, if, if I'm just straight up the middle, American cheese, steak, ketchup dippy, dipping it in ketchup.

• 59:39Stavros Halkias?

  Mm-hmm.

• 59:39Speaker 04

If I'm feeling frisky, which I usually am, I go cheesesteak hoagie, which I know is... Not, not, not traditionalist, but cheesesteak, hoagie, cheesesteak, mayo, lettuce, onion, uh, tomato and oregano on top.

• 59:52Stavros Halkias?

Oregano. No, I'm sorry. What do you mean ho- like, what's the?

• 59:54Speaker 04

Hoagie would mean adding, adding the, the, the, the greens, the salads.

• 59:58Stavros Halkias?

  Oh, yeah. Yeah.

• 1:00:00Speaker 04

  I'd hoagie, hoagify it.

• 1:00:02Stavros Halkias?

  I think.

• 1:00:02Speaker 05

  Raw, like not cooked.

• 1:00:03Speaker 04

  Yeah.

• 1:00:04Stavros Halkias?

  I'm with you.

• 1:00:05Speaker 04

  Yeah.

• 1:00:05Stavros Halkias?

  Because I think, yes.

• 1:00:07Speaker 04

Especially on a chicken cheesesteak, that's banging. Chicken cheesesteak, hoagie with mayo.

• 1:00:11Stavros Halkias?

  Yeah.

• 1:00:11Speaker 05

Love a chicken, chicken, I do chicken whiz from NLP in fucking North Wildwood. It's like my favorite.

• 1:00:17Stavros Halkias?

And you, you get chicken with whiz and no veggies to speak of.

• 1:00:20Speaker 05

Oh, no. I get the french fries.

• 1:00:22Stavros Halkias?

I mean, that is basically, uh, you've created another type of egg roll, essentially.

• 1:00:27Speaker 05

  It's a bigger egg roll.

• 1:00:28Stavros Halkias?

Yeah, you've created that. You're like, can you deep fry this real fast?

• 1:00:30Speaker 05

  Sure.

• 1:00:30Speaker 04

  I'd be pretty good.

• 1:00:31Speaker 05

  Yeah. Now we're talking.

• 1:00:33Speaker 04

Not a big whiz guy, to be honest with you.

• 1:00:34Stavros Halkias?

I'm not a big whiz guy either.

• 1:00:36Speaker 03

Yeah, I want, when you guys say American, you don't mean whiz, right? You just mean?

• 1:00:39Speaker 04

No, I mean like white American cheese.

• 1:00:41Speaker 05

  Some places do.

• 1:00:42Speaker 04

  Cooper Sharp.

• 1:00:43Speaker 05

Some places do like I'm a Steve Prince's steaks guy, they'll, they have a melted American. So they don't put like the cheese on, they have it like how whiz would be. And it's a liquid white American cheese and they ladle that over.

• 1:00:54Stavros Halkias?

  That's very interesting to me.

• 1:00:56Speaker 05

That with the cheese, like cheese fries on the side, the side of Alfreda dipping, that's pretty good.

• 1:01:00Stavros Halkias?

  Oh, yeah, brother.

• 1:01:01Speaker 04

  Do a lot of dipping.

• 1:01:02Speaker 05

  A lot of dipping.

• 1:01:03Stavros Halkias?

  I'm with you hogifying it.

• 1:01:05Speaker 04

  Yeah.

• 1:01:06Stavros Halkias?

I'm with you in the hogification.

• 1:01:07Speaker 04

  Sure.

• 1:01:08Stavros Halkias?

Um, I think, I think if you get it just right and you have that, the tomatoes, now they, you cannot, this is, this is a sandwich that cannot sit. If this is even taking, this has to be now a little, like five minutes. I almost feel like it should kind of cook in its own steam for five minutes.

• 1:01:27Speaker 04

A slight warmth to the tomato.

• 1:01:29Stavros Halkias?

A slight, just a, a slight softening, but not soggy, right? And I really like if they can get the lettuce iceberg chopped.

• 1:01:38Speaker 04

  Of course.

• 1:01:39Stavros Halkias?

And that's crisp, not like, don't get me a sheaf.

• 1:01:42Speaker 05

Oh, no, yeah, it's typically shredded or shredded.

• 1:01:44Speaker 04

  Gotta be shredded.

• 1:01:45Stavros Halkias?

And I agree with you. I like my shit's kind of me- I like it. I like the fried onion. I like fried, I like the mushrooms on there too.

• 1:01:54Speaker 04

  Okay.

• 1:01:54Stavros Halkias?

  Mushrooms and fried onion.

• 1:01:55Speaker 04

  I'll give it to you.

• 1:01:56Stavros Halkias?

Cheese, ho- hogified mayo. I want it sloppy. I want a real.

• 1:02:00Speaker 04

Wait, you're gonna do the fried onions, mushrooms, and then hogify it?

• 1:02:04Stavros Halkias?

  Oh, yeah.

• 1:02:04Speaker 04

  Whoa.

• 1:02:05Stavros Halkias?

  Oh, yeah.

• 1:02:06Speaker 04

  Batman.

• 1:02:06Stavros Halkias?

I want, I wanted to be, I wanted to be, I wanted to be, uh, I wanted to be a struggle.

• 1:02:13Speaker 04

Keep that shit down ninety-five, will ya?

• 1:02:14Stavros Halkias?

It's me versus the sandwich. You know what I mean? And it's real mastery to be able to eat that sandwich without a huge blowout, without. Yeah, it's a strategy. That's too much for me. You gotta be, and I like the dance. I like the tango with the sandwich. Sure. Of hitting each crevice. It does feel like rock climbing on, in certain ways. Where you have to hit, hit just the right. The perfect swing? The perfect swing. Oh, you know what I mean? Like, you know, you see where the tomato breaks. You know what I mean? Like.

• 1:02:43Speaker 04

That reminds, that reminds me of something. I've been wanting to ask you something for, uh, for a couple of months.

• 1:02:48Stavros Halkias?

Please. You got a cheesesteak hoagie on ya? Yeah.

• 1:02:50Speaker 04

Not to be too food heavy, but.

• 1:02:52Stavros Halkias?

  No, come on.

• 1:02:53Speaker 04

You and I had lunch together, uh, a couple of months ago.

• 1:02:56Stavros Halkias?

  Yep.

• 1:02:56Speaker 04

Uh, we were, you know, same table. You would, you, you would call it.

• 1:03:01Stavros Halkias?

Just make it sound like you're in the mob. We're the same size, there you go.

• 1:03:03Speaker 04

You would call it audible and got yourself a Chipotle bowl.

• 1:03:06Stavros Halkias?

  Right.

• 1:03:07Speaker 04

And I saw you, I saw you do a move that I, that I greatly respect. You had got tortilla on the side.

• 1:03:12Stavros Halkias?

  Yes.

• 1:03:13Speaker 04

And you were ripping it, and you were kinda making your own little mini burrito.

• 1:03:16Stavros Halkias?

I was creating the perfect, now.

• 1:03:19Speaker 04

I wanted, I wanted to ask you what was in that bowl. I didn't want to ask you at the table.

• 1:03:22Stavros Halkias?

Sure, well, you could've. I would've loved. You're texting him. Yeah, yeah, yeah. I would've loved to, I would've loved to pontificate. I would've loved to pontificate at, uh, you know, at our lunch table, but, um, what's in the bowl is, uh, my Chipotle order is, it's just, you know, steak. Steak, I, I'll get two types of meat, steak and chicken usually.

• 1:03:44Speaker 04

  That's what I figured.

• 1:03:44Stavros Halkias?

  Whoa.

• 1:03:45Speaker 04

  That's crazy.

• 1:03:46Stavros Halkias?

Um, I'll get. That's a bad serve. That's turf and turf. Half and half? Nah, it's good.

• 1:03:49Speaker 04

  Turf and turf.

• 1:03:50Stavros Halkias?

That's wild. You gotta open your fucking horizons up.

• 1:03:52Speaker 04

Nah, dude. I respect it. I mean, this guy does mushrooms and onions together with fucking hogified.

• 1:03:57Stavros Halkias?

  And, well, that's, again, it's a fucking strat, it's a, it's a.

• 1:04:00Speaker 04

  He's a maverick.

• 1:04:01Stavros Halkias?

Yeah, yeah. Absolutely. The fucking, yeah. I just picture a guy, he knows, you want what? Yeah.

• 1:04:08Speaker 05

Do you like it finely chopped or do you like it to get sorry to

• 1:04:10Stavros Halkias?

  Finely chopped.

• 1:04:11Speaker 05

You're finely chopped, not the slab guy. Sometimes we'll do like the little quarter.

• 1:04:14Stavros Halkias?

No, I like it finely chopped.

• 1:04:16Speaker 04

  What are we talking about?

• 1:04:17Speaker 05

  The cheesesteak.

• 1:04:18Speaker 04

  Oh, yeah.

• 1:04:20Stavros Halkias?

So, yeah, I'll just have like, you know, your standard stuff, I get guac for sure.

• 1:04:26Speaker 05

  Guac up.

• 1:04:26Stavros Halkias?

And so the now, the thought process there, Foley, is you know, we have a burrito and when you're eating a burrito.

• 1:04:32Speaker 04

  I can't do them.

• 1:04:33Stavros Halkias?

Yeah, but there's like three of the most perfect bites in the world. And everything else is like rice, beans, too much. The idea with the tortilla on the side is we can craft the perfect bite every time.

• 1:04:46Speaker 04

  I'm so with it.

• 1:04:48Stavros Halkias?

And I tear off a little and I smear a little guacamole base layer.

• 1:04:52Speaker 05

Do you do it with your fingers? Like you grab what you want?

• 1:04:54Stavros Halkias?

Yeah, I'll tear the thing and then.

• 1:04:56Speaker 05

How big, how big, I'm sorry, how big of a piece of a tortilla are we talking is per?

• 1:05:00Stavros Halkias?

  You know.

• 1:05:00Speaker 04

  Like a little rip.

• 1:05:01Stavros Halkias?

  Yeah, a little rip.

• 1:05:02Speaker 05

  Like this big?

• 1:05:02Speaker 04

I'll eat it like Somali style.

• 1:05:04Speaker 05

Yeah, like you're eating Ethiopian food.

• 1:05:05Stavros Halkias?

Yeah, yeah, yeah. First time I had that shit. I'm going Ethiopian mode on Chipotle burrito.

• 1:05:10Speaker 04

  I respect it.

• 1:05:11Stavros Halkias?

  Yeah.

• 1:05:11Speaker 05

  This guy's blending cultures.

• 1:05:14Speaker 04

  He's bringing people together.

• 1:05:15Stavros Halkias?

  Yeah.

• 1:05:16Speaker 05

  Mexican and Orecian.

• 1:05:17Stavros Halkias?

  Yeah.

• 1:05:19Stavros Halkias?

It's be, it's a great, it's a great way to go about it, folks.

• 1:05:22Speaker 05

  I like that.

• 1:05:22Stavros Halkias?

  Yeah.

• 1:05:23Speaker 04

I don't want to ask you that.

• 1:05:24Stavros Halkias?

Oh dude, you didn't have to wait this long.

• 1:05:26Speaker 04

  I was gonna call you.

• 1:05:27Stavros Halkias?

  You should have.

• 1:05:28Speaker 04

  You're busy.

• 1:05:28Stavros Halkias?

Call me from Hawaii. You're like, alright, I gotta go, I'm about to do my vows. I was just always wondering what you were doing with that. What was in that bowl?

• 1:05:35Speaker 04

We might get something to eat later. I want to know what I'm doing.

• 1:05:38Stavros Halkias?

  I love it.

• 1:05:38Speaker 03

Hold on Foley, what's your number three? Cause I think you said straight down the middle.

• 1:05:42Speaker 04

No, I was just being an idiot. Uh, yeah, no, it's just straight up chick, it's straight up cheesesteak with American cheese and then the hoagie.

• 1:05:49Speaker 03

  Nice.

• 1:05:50Speaker 04

  Yeah.

• 1:05:50Stavros Halkias?

Respect. Alright, Big Eld, let's do some fucking calls.

• 1:05:56Speaker 07

Hi, Stavi. Hi, Elders. Hi, guests. Um, so I guess I'll get right down to it. I'm twenty-four years old and like a year after I graduated college, I moved from Philadelphia, Pennsylvania down to Florida and I think I hate it. Um, I have a job down here and like I have a pretty good setup going on, but it's not my favorite. It's not like it's a dream job and I miss my friends. My boyfriend lives down here with me and even wanting to move back up because we're at a point in our lives where like all of our friends are having kids, they're getting married and I used all of my fucking PTO last year.

• 1:06:37Stavros Halkias?

  PTO.

• 1:06:38Speaker 07

Just to go and see my friends on the weekend because you know, I'm not paying five hundred dollars for a flight for twenty-four hours.

• 1:06:45Stavros Halkias?

  Amen, sister.

• 1:06:46Speaker 07

So, I don't know. What do you think? Should I drop everything and move back up because it'll make me happy and I see all my friends? Or is that like a total mistake?

• 1:06:57Stavros Halkias?

  Hmm.

• 1:06:57Speaker 07

Um, because I have a job here that helps me pay my bills and all that fun stuff. Um, my parents say one thing because they want to see me succeed, but all my friends are like, nah, fuck it. Like come move back up.

• 1:07:10Stavros Halkias?

  That's good paddy wax, dude.

• 1:07:12Speaker 07

Um, but yeah. Alright, thanks. Love you. Bye.

• 1:07:15Stavros Halkias?

  Interesting.

• 1:07:16Speaker 05

  This is a tough one.

• 1:07:17Stavros Halkias?

Mm-hmm. I don't think so. Did she say her age, Aldous?

• 1:07:20Speaker 05

  Twenty-four.

• 1:07:21Stavros Halkias?

  Ooh, okay.

• 1:07:22Speaker 05

I had two schools of thought. One, go do what makes you fucking happy for sure.

• 1:07:26Stavros Halkias?

  Yep.

• 1:07:27Speaker 05

But it's also like year twenty-four. Those are the kind of the years that fucking, you know, not suck, but you can, you know, you can dedicate to trying to further your.

• 1:07:37Stavros Halkias?

  Right.

• 1:07:37Speaker 05

Like what are you gonna, you gotta have some, you could, gotta be able to do something in Philly. You know what I mean?

• 1:07:41Stavros Halkias?

  Yeah, yeah.

• 1:07:42Speaker 05

You gotta be able to get some sort of comparable job.

• 1:07:44Stavros Halkias?

Sure. I mean, this, to me, kind of part of this hinges on what the job is exactly. Cause it's like, she doesn't seem that stoked about, she said it's not her dream job, right?

• 1:07:55Speaker 05

I mean, whatever you're doing in Florida, unless it's training fucking dolphins, you can do in Philly.

• 1:07:59Stavros Halkias?

  Yeah.

• 1:07:59Speaker 05

You know what I mean? It's not like it's a.

• 1:08:01Stavros Halkias?

You can do that in Philly.

• 1:08:03Speaker 05

  Challenging the Delaware River.

• 1:08:05Speaker 04

Be a little chilly a couple of months out in here. It's funny, I got wet seats.

• 1:08:09Stavros Halkias?

  Mm hmm.

• 1:08:10Speaker 05

Yeah, I don't, I mean, at this point, if you were, I think if you were a little older, my definitive answer would be like, fucking move home, do what makes you happy, for sure. Like, if you were in your 30s, it's like, who gives a fuck?

• 1:08:21Stavros Halkias?

  Yeah.

• 1:08:22Speaker 05

You're not gonna make it, but move home. But 24, it's like, it seems like the opportunity is only down there for, you know, suck it up for a couple of years and see if you can move back.

• 1:08:32Stavros Halkias?

  Right.

• 1:08:32Speaker 05

And, you know, once you've got some fucking traction in your field.

• 1:08:37Stavros Halkias?

Yeah, and that's what I was gonna say is like, the thing about, that is a classic, like, the 30s, the third, like,

• 1:08:45Speaker 05

I can't believe we're giving live, I thought I died two weeks ago.

• 1:08:50Stavros Halkias?

  I had a hot dog.

• 1:08:50Speaker 05

You know what you did, got to do with your life?

• 1:08:52Stavros Halkias?

Yeah, I had a hot dog for breakfast slash lunch in between podcast recordings, but.

• 1:08:57Speaker 04

I thought you said it was the sausage.

• 1:08:58Stavros Halkias?

It is a so, it's an Amy Lou's paleo sausage, I'm just trying to play into the bit.

• 1:09:02Speaker 04

Now, who's the same, now, who's the Amy Lou I've been hearing about?

• 1:09:05Stavros Halkias?

I don't know, but they, they, they carry your stuff at Costco.

• 1:09:08Speaker 04

  I like it.

• 1:09:08Speaker 05

He did hogify the hot dog.

• 1:09:10Stavros Halkias?

I hogified it, yeah. I did, I had a hot dog whiz.

• 1:09:15Stavros Halkias?

I'm, I'm putting fucking cheese, cheese whiz and mayo like it's mustard and ketchup on a hot dog.

• 1:09:20Speaker 05

  I'll do both things.

• 1:09:22Stavros Halkias?

Um, so, yeah, the move back, so trying to go somewhere else in your tw- like, this is kind of a classic thing of, you know, we're guys that live, we live in New York, we're all, you know, mid 30s are up, and we've definitely seen people come here and go home.

• 1:09:42Speaker 05

  Sure.

• 1:09:42Stavros Halkias?

And we've seen it work out that, like, for some people, it's devastating, but for some people, it's, hey, you know what? I got what I wanted out of that experience.

• 1:09:49Speaker 05

  Sure.

• 1:09:50Stavros Halkias?

I had a fun time. I maybe got, I may, maybe I like, had some experiences I wanted, maybe I got the job I wanted, or maybe I got enough, you know, maybe I realized what I want, that wasn't really what I wanted, and what I, and now that I'm ready to settle down, I wanna be near, you know, my family, my network, whatever. Happens a lot. It's a classic thing, right? But I tend to agree with you that 24.

• 1:10:16Speaker 05

That's when you take the shot. It's like, listen, your friends in northeast Philly ain't going nowhere. They're gonna be there in a year too, for sure, and you know.

• 1:10:25Stavros Halkias?

And you're also at the age of like, I remember when I first moved to New York and I was 25. And I was, that fir-, I've talked about this a lot, the first two years were fucking horrible. And I was taking that fucking megabus quite too much.

• 1:10:40Speaker 05

I was going home, I was going home every chance I got, because you're like, I don't have a social circle, this is what it's, yeah.

• 1:10:45Stavros Halkias?

And it wasn't until I just fucking said, fu-, I'm not going back. Fuck this. And in fact, there were like times where I didn't even go back for the hol-, like, I was like, I didn't go to the holidays, I was locked in, I was just here. And I really gave it a fucking, like, a real try.

• 1:11:01Speaker 05

  Sure.

• 1:11:01Stavros Halkias?

That it's like, and you have to do that, because you, she just moved there.

• 1:11:04Speaker 05

It's also like socially, mate, like, get, like, you're, give yourself time to make some friends, or be like, I'm gonna make, I'm gonna find, even if you don't fucking really like them, you're like, I can go out with these guys once a week for a fucking drink or whatever.

• 1:11:15Stavros Halkias?

  Yeah.

• 1:11:15Speaker 05

That way, it's like, you're not super leaning on all, you know, going back to fucking Philly every weekend.

• 1:11:20Stavros Halkias?

A- a- and, and, and, and I would also say, what i-, she's being cryptic about this job, too. Because it's like.

• 1:11:28Speaker 05

And I'm like, her parents are like, it's an opportunity.

• 1:11:30Stavros Halkias?

Right. If it is a real oppo-, you also have to be realistic about this, too. Because it's like, the advice we're giving you, I think, stands, but also, part of the problem might be, maybe this isn't the thing you wanted. Maybe Florida's not, we're not saying Philly's where, we're not saying go home yet, but make s-, make sure the thing that you left is worth doing. I, is part, is also my advice.

• 1:11:53Speaker 05

  A hundred percent.

• 1:11:53Stavros Halkias?

Is there a different place you should be? Could you legitimately do what you wanted in Philly, and maybe it's the best of both worlds, but to me, you're sounding a little bit like a fucking 18-year-old that's ju-, moved into a dorm for the first time. Isn't, doesn't know what it's like to sleep in a room with a fucking stranger, misses the, the snacks in your mom's pantry. And, you know, you have to do laundry for the first time in your life.

• 1:12:17Speaker 05

It's like that movie Son-in-Law with Pauly Shore. Go out, you gotta get a. Band of, of course you want to go home, it's not home. You gotta go out, you gotta, you gotta figure out the city, you gotta make some friends, you gotta fuck a guy or two.

• 1:12:27Stavros Halkias?

Yeah, Son-in-law, is that the one where the guy, his, his brother dies and she has, no?

• 1:12:32Speaker 05

No, that's, I don't know what that is. No, Paul, no, that's, uh, Paulie Shore's son-in-law is, the girl goes to like Santa Barbara. Brother doesn't die in that?

• 1:12:42Stavros Halkias?

  Doesn't he?

• 1:12:42Speaker 05

  No.

• 1:12:43Stavros Halkias?

Doesn't he, he inherits, doesn't he inherit a wife or some shit?

• 1:12:46Speaker 05

No, you might be thinking Bio Doom.

• 1:12:49Stavros Halkias?

  No.

• 1:12:50Speaker 05

  Another great movie.

• 1:12:51Stavros Halkias?

What Paulie Shore movie where the brother dies?

• 1:12:53Speaker 05

That's a dark turn for the fucking weasel.

• 1:12:56Stavros Halkias?

Somebody's brother dies. Where the brother does.

• 1:13:02Speaker 05

  Your brother died, Richard Simmons.

• 1:13:04Stavros Halkias?

  No, that's not it.

• 1:13:06Speaker 05

  Paulie Shore is dead.

• 1:13:08Stavros Halkias?

  Maybe.

• 1:13:08Speaker 05

No, Son-in-law, no one dies in Son-in-law.

• 1:13:10Stavros Halkias?

  But isn't he?

• 1:13:11Speaker 05

  It's a lighthearted whimsical movie.

• 1:13:12Stavros Halkias?

Isn't he forced to live with somebody's wife or something?

• 1:13:15Speaker 05

No, he's gotta go live on the farm. He goes home with her for like a week or so and lives on the farm that she came from. She's a small town girl. She goes out to California to, and she does, she's like, I'm moving home after a little while. And he goes, baby, you haven't even experienced the city yet. Let me take you. They get a tattoo by Foley from the Red Hot Chili Pepper.

• 1:13:30Speaker 04

They were just friends at the time too, they weren't even hooking up yet.

• 1:13:33Speaker 05

I don't even think they hooked up.

• 1:13:34Speaker 04

I, they get together at the end, they fall in love.

• 1:13:38Stavros Halkias?

  I'm pretty sure.

• 1:13:38Speaker 05

The fat kid from Sandlot's in it. Kidney and Thieson.

• 1:13:41Stavros Halkias?

What year, oh man, go up, what year was this? So I think I saw this as a five-year-old and invented a plot around it.

• 1:13:51Speaker 05

  Made thirty-seven million dollars.

• 1:13:53Stavros Halkias?

I think I saw this and I thought.

• 1:13:55Speaker 04

  Budget eight million.

• 1:13:55Stavros Halkias?

  What happened was Paulie Shore's.

• 1:13:58Speaker 05

  Became someone's son-in-law?

• 1:14:00Stavros Halkias?

Well, what happened was that Paulie Shore's brother was married to this woman. And because of some, uh, ritual ancient law. He, his brother died and he just got his wife.

• 1:14:12Speaker 05

  Sure.

• 1:14:13Stavros Halkias?

He had to, and he was now responsible for his wife.

• 1:14:16Speaker 04

I think you saw the Pakistani version.

• 1:14:19Speaker 05

This is real third world shit.

• 1:14:20Stavros Halkias?

This happened in Deadwood, thank you very much. You know, it happened in the American West as well. Uh, maybe, or maybe, maybe call in, or you know, leave them, maybe I'm thinking of a movie.

• 1:14:30Speaker 05

Cause then Paulie Shore goes and like, he makes, he turns the mom into a whore a little bit. She falls in love with the husband again. He goes in and, and, and weaselfies everybody and brings out the best in him.

• 1:14:40Speaker 04

  The dad hates him.

• 1:14:41Speaker 05

Dad hates him to the death.

• 1:14:42Speaker 04

Dad's great though. He's the prosecutor in My Cousin Vinny.

• 1:14:45Stavros Halkias?

Oh, okay. This is a great, you know, I like, I like what's in Carla Gugino, real piece of ass.

• 1:14:50Speaker 04

Woo! That's my advice for this lady.

• 1:14:53Stavros Halkias?

Oh, yeah, yeah. Well, we were talking about this woman.

• 1:14:57Speaker 04

You and that boyfriend of yours rent, rent a movie.

• 1:15:00Speaker 05

Get a tattoo of a butterfly on your ankle, your problems go away.

• 1:15:04Stavros Halkias?

But yeah, it's like, you're right now, you haven't given it the full, don't use up your college, try to go see your friends.

• 1:15:10Speaker 05

I mean, she hasn't done it for a year though. It says, I used all my PTO last year to go see my friends. Cause I'm not flying back for a weekend.

• 1:15:17Stavros Halkias?

But the problem is, that's not what you use your PTO for.

• 1:15:20Speaker 05

It's also like, you're not, if you're going, I did this in college.

• 1:15:23Speaker 04

  What's PTO?

• 1:15:24Speaker 05

Per paid time off. I did this in college. I went to Temple and like, I lived in, I lived in Bucks County and I went to that, it was like fucking thirty-five minutes or whatever. And I would go home because like, all like, my friends didn't go to college. So like, I would go home and fucking, and hang out. What?

• 1:15:38Speaker 04

He had a girlfriend up in Canada.

• 1:15:40Speaker 05

All night work. Um, and, uh.

• 1:15:43Speaker 04

You just sit at the bus stop all weekend.

• 1:15:46Speaker 05

I would go home and like, it took me to be like, ah dude, I gotta stop going home every other weekend because like, I'm not ingratiating myself into the scene, like making friends there.

• 1:15:55Speaker 04

Being the party animal that you were meant to be.

• 1:15:57Speaker 05

  Rock on. Falling down stairs.

• 1:15:59Speaker 04

You girls want some chicken fingers?

• 1:16:02Speaker 05

Shout out to Temple Star Chinese.

• 1:16:03Stavros Halkias?

So, I would just say, you're, you're very young, like, you're, even that first year where you spent your PTO, like, here's the thing. You're just not gonna, you moved in a different place. You'll see them dur, this is what, this is why the holidays are important to people. Because that's when you see your friends from home.

• 1:16:22Speaker 05

It's also like, they ain't, like, I get you wanna go see your family and friends, but it's like, they're not doing, they're doing the same shit you should be doing. in Florida like they're hanging out they're going to the coming over to the same houses they're gonna be doing that for the next thirty five years

• 1:16:37Stavros Halkias?

  and by the way

• 1:16:38Speaker 05

take a fucking shot and try to do whatever the fuck you're doing

• 1:16:40Stavros Halkias?

and by the way why the fuck are you visiting them you live in fucking Florida why don't they hit the beach or something for a weekend

• 1:16:46Speaker 05

also they got all those pain management places down there it sounds like your friends like pills too

• 1:16:50Speaker 04

I don't know that that's got that's got real Kasemi Saint Cloud vibes or she's so she's in Jacksonville or something like that

• 1:16:57Speaker 04

  she in Miami Beach

• 1:16:58Stavros Halkias?

you're probably right but uh so yeah that's our overall don't don't get bogged down too quick home will always be there for you and you might be at a you know some point in your life it might be the right thing or who knows you might hit your stride in Florida when you stop thinking about what you're missing you might not wanna you know live it's like it's basically in your

• 1:17:18Speaker 05

you're trying to have both it's like you chose Florida take a fucking swing at Florida and really see what happened go home three times a year yeah have them come down for a weekend or whatever but like you fucking

• 1:17:29Stavros Halkias?

you don't even have to go home I would say don't even go home that often

• 1:17:31Speaker 05

yeah fuck them I don't care

• 1:17:32Stavros Halkias?

for a while it's gotta be about the new place

• 1:17:35Speaker 03

any any big life decision you make you're always gonna think about like an alternate life that you could have had for yourself and that's what you're doing now with like Philly and you gotta remember like if you stayed in Philly I mean you had an instinct to leave for a reason so you gotta be like you know if I was in Philly and you know look forward five years from now I'd be like oh I never like left or tried another city or something

• 1:17:59Speaker 05

once you have kids and then you're like I'm fucking you can't move with a fucking one year old to take a shot to roll the dice

• 1:18:05Stavros Halkias?

and and by the way moving now would kinda be the worst of both worlds you didn't really give it a shot

• 1:18:11Speaker 05

yeah the life you want also like when you fly I I had this problem too and like my wife who moved from Germany to here like also experiences it so it's like the life you get when you do go back to Philly isn't everyday Philly life like you're you you're getting like hey I forget your name I'm sorry Megan's coming to town let's all fucking have a barbecue let's set again get a good dinner or something like you're not sitting there when like The boy, you know, your, your brother-in-law and sister were fighting and the fucking whatever. You're not dealing with the problems. Why are they fighting? What? Why are they fighting? He's stepping out on her. No, but just like, you're not dealing with the problems. You're there for like, hey, so-and-so's here. Let's fucking, let's make it a good four days.

• 1:18:51Stavros Halkias?

  It's like long-term or long-distance relationships where it's like,

• 1:18:55Speaker 05

  Yeah.

• 1:18:55Stavros Halkias?

Yeah, the three days you see each other is gonna be awesome.

• 1:18:58Speaker 05

  Sure.

• 1:18:58Stavros Halkias?

It's not, you don't fuck all day and go to brunch if you lived in the same city.

• 1:19:03Speaker 05

Wait till like mid-February on like a Wednesday.

• 1:19:06Stavros Halkias?

  Yeah, yeah, yeah.

• 1:19:06Speaker 05

When it's like dark at 4:30 and you're, you know, someone broke into your house.

• 1:19:10Stavros Halkias?

  And I, and I'll also,

• 1:19:11Speaker 05

Yeah, still your Kia, you know what I mean? Sounds like a Paulie Shore movie.

• 1:19:16Stavros Halkias?

I'll also say, the past doesn't exist. Even a year, like, like the comfort life,

• 1:19:24Speaker 05

The fuck's this guy talking about?

• 1:19:25Stavros Halkias?

Like, like what you're dreaming of, what you remember,

• 1:19:28Speaker 05

  Yeah.

• 1:19:28Stavros Halkias?

That's already gone. Even in a year, it's gone. You wanna return, part of wanting to return is safety, is like, but life is always moving forward. And you're changing, Philly's changing, maybe one day it's right for you, but like, It sounds like all you want, it's, you're already nostalgic and you're too young for nostalgia right now.

• 1:19:50Speaker 05

I also think too, like, I don't know exactly where you come from or your economic background or whatever, but like if your parents think this is a good shot for you, you know what I mean? Like, it might be, you know what I mean? Like, there might not be that many options back in Philly and like, whatever you went to college, you got a degree, whatever the fuck it is, you did the work to get there. And it's like two people who have lived probably in Philly for most of their lives are like, go do this, cuz

• 1:20:15Stavros Halkias?

  Yeah.

• 1:20:15Speaker 05

this will always fucking be here.

• 1:20:17Stavros Halkias?

  Yeah.

• 1:20:18Speaker 05

  Take the fucking swing.

• 1:20:19Stavros Halkias?

Stay there. Keep, yeah, keep working one of those pill mills in Florida. She's like, I'm, I'm a, I'm a lieutenant in ICE.

• 1:20:29Stavros Halkias?

And this is doing something horrible.

• 1:20:31Speaker 05

Dude, every dirtbag I grew up with who got addicted to pills was going down the flight. It was like, I remember, I remember one girl, may or may not be related. It was always like Fort Myers. She was all, she was related to me. She's like, hey, things are going good. She goes, me and Chris are doing well. We almost got a bank account.

• 1:20:53Speaker 05

  Just dirtbag couples.

• 1:20:55Stavros Halkias?

  Almost got a bank account.

• 1:20:56Speaker 05

Going through my mom's purse at Christmas to steal TD Bank gift cards.

• 1:21:00Stavros Halkias?

Yeah, we're almost, we've almost gone through the first homepage at a bank. I almost remembered the, I just reset the hotmail password.

• 1:21:10Speaker 05

Yeah, it was like dirt, it was like, once we get a, I remember going, once we get a bank account, we're gonna move to, we're gonna move to Florida. And all my friends who were like, fuck it.

• 1:21:19Stavros Halkias?

That same thing. Once we get a bank account, it's such an awesome statement.

• 1:21:24Speaker 05

I'm putting this whole, I'm going to Florida. What's that, you know, it's where all the bills are made.

• 1:21:29Stavros Halkias?

Yeah, yeah, that's so fucking awesome. Good luck, good luck, sister.

• 1:21:33Speaker 05

Good luck, you'll just trust your heart, you'll do what's right.

• 1:21:37Speaker 08

Hey, man, how you doing? Uh, just a quick, interesting question for you, maybe.

• 1:21:43Stavros Halkias?

  I love interesting questions.

• 1:21:44Speaker 08

Married to my wife for the last four years. Um, she's an immigrant here from Mexico. She's been here for fifteen years.

• 1:21:54Speaker 08

Um, but, uh, so she has this habit that she says that she started while she was living in Mexico. Um, apparently the plumbing down there isn't that great, so they have a habit of, uh, if it's yellow, let it mellow, if it's brown, flush it down. Um,

• 1:22:15Speaker 08

so it wasn't really an issue in the first few years of our relationship, but over the past year, I really don't understand what's going on. She wants to, uh,

• 1:22:28Speaker 08

leave the toilet full of pee. If she doesn't poop into the, and, and if she doesn't poop when she's going to the bathroom, she'll.

• 1:22:35Stavros Halkias?

Right, I get what, pause this.

• 1:22:37Speaker 08

  The pee in the toilet.

• 1:22:38Speaker 05

This guy's really getting into the weeds.

• 1:22:40Stavros Halkias?

Do you think, do you think that we didn't understand if it's yellow, let it mellow, if it's brown, flush it down? We think we needed.

• 1:22:48Speaker 05

  Great, sir.

• 1:22:50Stavros Halkias?

  Fucking hilarious, alright.

• 1:22:51Speaker 05

But the next line, I see, that is what bothers me.

• 1:22:54Stavros Halkias?

Okay, keep going Aldous, I have, you know.

• 1:22:56Speaker 08

  All day long.

• 1:22:58Stavros Halkias?

  Mm-hmm.

• 1:22:59Speaker 08

  Um.

• 1:22:59Stavros Halkias?

  Leave the P O.

• 1:23:00Speaker 08

Maybe four or five times she'll go take a pee and, and not flush it.

• 1:23:04Speaker 05

  That's crazy.

• 1:23:04Speaker 08

And, um, every time I walk into the bathroom, it smells like a urinal in there.

• 1:23:09Speaker 05

  Sure.

• 1:23:10Speaker 08

It smells like a, a porta potty. So, I, I've, I've talked to her about it, trying to figure out how we can get her to get into the habit of flushing the toilet when she goes to the bathroom, but she doesn't seem to

• 1:23:25Speaker 08

think that it's that big of a deal that she doesn't flush the toilet.

• 1:23:28Stavros Halkias?

  Yeah.

• 1:23:28Speaker 08

I mean, she talks about saving water, but I don't think a couple of flushes of the toilet every day is really going to make that much of a difference in.

• 1:23:37Stavros Halkias?

  You're right.

• 1:23:38Speaker 08

So, uh, any advice that you can give to me for figuring out how to get her to flush the toilet when she goes to the bathroom?

• 1:23:45Stavros Halkias?

  That's crazy.

• 1:23:45Speaker 04

  This is this guy's fault.

• 1:23:47Speaker 05

  Yeah.

• 1:23:48Speaker 04

This guy hasn't sold America and his wife enough. He's gotta take this broad to like a monster truck show. Or fucking something like that and let her know, baby, you're in the U S of A.

• 1:23:59Speaker 05

  We got it.

• 1:23:59Speaker 04

You, you flush that shit. I'm, I'm putting fucking dude wipes, fucking, uh, dental floss, matchbox cars, throw at books, anything you want down that fucking toilet and give it a flush, baby.

• 1:24:11Stavros Halkias?

  Yeah.

• 1:24:11Speaker 04

  Don't sweat it.

• 1:24:12Stavros Halkias?

  You're good.

• 1:24:13Speaker 04

You're in America now. You don't gotta worry about that shit.

• 1:24:15Stavros Halkias?

Aldous, look up how much water a toilet flush uses.

• 1:24:19Speaker 05

It's like, the old ones are three point eight gallons.

• 1:24:22Speaker 04

  What the fuck?

• 1:24:23Speaker 05

A three point two, three point eight.

• 1:24:24Speaker 04

Fucking Tim and the Toolman Taylor over here.

• 1:24:26Stavros Halkias?

A standard toilet uses one point six gallons of water per flush.

• 1:24:30Speaker 04

  Damn, that's a lot.

• 1:24:31Stavros Halkias?

However, newer, high efficiency toilets can use as little as one point two eight gallons.

• 1:24:35Speaker 05

Yeah, like, yeah, I mean, yeah, buddy, this is your, like, you put up with it for two, for four years at this point, like.

• 1:24:41Stavros Halkias?

  Yeah, but that's insane.

• 1:24:42Speaker 05

  She's going.

• 1:24:42Speaker 04

  Celebrate it.

• 1:24:43Speaker 05

At this point, she's going, what's this guy's deal? Like, you're making me change the fucking, the rhythm now?

• 1:24:48Stavros Halkias?

Also, she is wrong and it is weird.

• 1:24:50Speaker 05

  A hundred percent.

• 1:24:51Stavros Halkias?

  I don't want.

• 1:24:51Speaker 05

I mean, she's crazy and you should.

• 1:24:53Speaker 04

Maybe get her drinking a little more water, it wouldn't smell so bad.

• 1:24:55Stavros Halkias?

  Yeah, yeah, yeah.

• 1:24:57Speaker 04

  Right?

• 1:24:57Stavros Halkias?

  I, I, I don't think you're wrong about that.

• 1:24:59Speaker 05

  Or, you know.

• 1:25:00Stavros Halkias?

But I think the answer here is flush the fucking toilet.

• 1:25:03Speaker 05

I got it. I got it. Automatic flusher. Bypass this broad. Install it. It's probably three hundred bucks.

• 1:25:12Speaker 04

That'd be a ballsy fucking move.

• 1:25:13Speaker 05

It's three hundred bucks and she can't do nothing about it.

• 1:25:17Stavros Halkias?

  That's a wild escalation.

• 1:25:19Speaker 05

My brother owns a plumbing company, call me, I'll give you that.

• 1:25:21Speaker 04

I want one of those, that's pretty good.

• 1:25:22Speaker 05

  I'll give you industry.

• 1:25:23Stavros Halkias?

  You want one?

• 1:25:24Speaker 05

  I'll give you insider pricing.

• 1:25:25Stavros Halkias?

Flushing the toilet is too much for you, Foley?

• 1:25:27Speaker 04

You ever have to touch the button at the airport when it doesn't register for some reason?

• 1:25:30Speaker 05

  With my foot, yeah.

• 1:25:31Speaker 04

You gotta put that, you gotta hit the fucking button.

• 1:25:33Stavros Halkias?

Absolutely. Now, listen, that's a place where I'll let it mellow, fuck the airport, I don't give a fuck.

• 1:25:38Speaker 05

  Yeah, chaos in there.

• 1:25:39Stavros Halkias?

  Yeah.

• 1:25:40Speaker 04

I don't wash my hands at the airport.

• 1:25:41Speaker 05

I don't wash my hands most time, if I poop, for sure, but please, what are we doing here?

• 1:25:45Stavros Halkias?

  Right, sure.

• 1:25:47Speaker 04

Poop, I got to, it's usually on my hands.

• 1:25:50Speaker 05

  Yeah, clear, he's smoking.

• 1:25:53Stavros Halkias?

Nurse, um, yeah, Foley puts gloves on before he shits. I think he's about to tear up a rotisserie chicken.

• 1:26:01Speaker 04

  Dishwashing gloves.

• 1:26:02Speaker 05

  I, I wonder.

• 1:26:03Speaker 04

Looks like I'm working at Terry Black's.

• 1:26:07Speaker 05

I wonder how much of like aggressive pushback he's given, is he like kind of pussyfoot in this and like babe, could you? Or like, or just be like, yo, babe, you gotta.

• 1:26:19Stavros Halkias?

  Four years, that's crazy.

• 1:26:20Speaker 05

You gotta flush the fucking toilet, it smells like fucking Yankee Stadium every time I come in here. This is a rap, what are we doing?

• 1:26:26Stavros Halkias?

What the hell are you drinking?

• 1:26:27Speaker 05

Yeah, it's like, eh, what the fuck, let's go, like, this is no longer Mexico, you gotta be with the, you gotta be with the times. If she went over to someone else's house and peed, like they were at a dinner party and peed, she'd flush it. She's fucking aware that it has to be done.

• 1:26:41Stavros Halkias?

Right, right, yeah, you're not doing a lot of shit, you know, you're in America now, you're not in Mexico, like, okay, you had to do that in Mexico, you're also drinking the tap water now, you know what I mean? It's like, I, I, you just like, just fucking, just fu- like, this really, you're right in that he let it roll too long, and you can hear how cucked he is in his voice, you can hear how powerless he is, I mean, just going on pure stereotypes alone, white podcast listening husband, immigrant, fiery immigrant.

• 1:27:15Speaker 05

  You're describing my.

• 1:27:17Stavros Halkias?

Yeah, yeah, yeah, yeah, yeah, yeah, a hundred percent, your wife gets the better of you all the time.

• 1:27:22Speaker 05

  Sure.

• 1:27:22Stavros Halkias?

  You know, like.

• 1:27:23Speaker 05

We always, it's always about America, dude, the other day we got in a fight as she tried to convince me John Mayer was in Maroon 5. I'm like, you don't know what you're talking about. Just give me American culture.

• 1:27:34Speaker 04

  Shout out to John Mayer.

• 1:27:35Stavros Halkias?

  Yeah, you a big fan?

• 1:27:37Speaker 04

No, but he can really play the guitar.

• 1:27:39Stavros Halkias?

He can, he can. So yeah, dude, I don't, I really don't, this is kinda crazy, cuz what you do is tell your wife, "I really don't like this." "It would mean a lot to me if you just started flushing every time." We did, like, you could even say, "Look, if you're that worried about it, I'll even install a low-flow toilet."

• 1:27:59Speaker 05

  Something.

• 1:28:00Stavros Halkias?

  A high-efficiency toilet.

• 1:28:01Speaker 05

Somewhere else. I'll do the dishes by hand, something.

• 1:28:03Speaker 04

Yeah, get one of those two Johns. You know what has the, the half and the full?

• 1:28:07Stavros Halkias?

  Yeah, sure.

• 1:28:07Speaker 04

You see him in Europe all the time.

• 1:28:08Stavros Halkias?

A lot, yeah, yeah, exactly. It's a lot of our, a lot of our solutions are get toilets that you would see in a fast-food restaurant.

• 1:28:15Speaker 05

I know, but it's also like, we're trying to bypass this broad. Just tell her, "Yeah, fuck, like, let's be like, hey, if you respect me, you'll, you'll keep fucking, you'll start flushing the toilet." This is not like, this shouldn't be up for debate. There's no sweat off her back.

• 1:28:28Stavros Halkias?

  Totally.

• 1:28:28Speaker 05

There's literally like, all she has to do is press a fucking button.

• 1:28:32Speaker 04

Trying to do the right thing, though.

• 1:28:32Speaker 05

  No, no.

• 1:28:33Stavros Halkias?

  Is she an ecologist?

• 1:28:35Speaker 05

  It's gross.

• 1:28:35Stavros Halkias?

Like, does she fucking recycle? Like, this just feels like to me, cuz here's the thing, I will admit that I definitely, when we lived together, I'd let my pisses run for a while.

• 1:28:45Speaker 05

  Yeah, dudes are different.

• 1:28:45Stavros Halkias?

I would- Some might say you still do, quite often.

• 1:28:51Speaker 04

I had a roommate that used to pee in a bucket, and it would leave it there for weeks.

• 1:28:55Stavros Halkias?

  A roommate?

• 1:28:56Speaker 05

  I'm sorry about that.

• 1:28:58Speaker 04

  It would congeal.

• 1:28:59Stavros Halkias?

  What?

• 1:29:00Speaker 04

Ah, it looked like fucking buttermilk. It was brutal.

• 1:29:02Stavros Halkias?

  Jesus Christ, what?

• 1:29:04Speaker 04

  That would kick.

• 1:29:04Stavros Halkias?

  Where were you living?

• 1:29:06Speaker 05

Should have her move in with that guy.

• 1:29:07Stavros Halkias?

Yeah. Did you have more than one toilet, bathroom, or what?

• 1:29:11Speaker 04

  No, we just had one.

• 1:29:12Stavros Halkias?

  Where was this?

• 1:29:13Speaker 04

Ah, this was in Murray Hill, years ago. Yeah.

• 1:29:18Stavros Halkias?

  Incredible stuff, man. Um-

• 1:29:21Stavros Halkias?

  Yeah.

• 1:29:21Speaker 05

You just gotta put your foot down dude. Just put your foot down and go, this is not negotiable.

• 1:29:24Stavros Halkias?

  We can't keep doing this.

• 1:29:26Speaker 05

If you respect me and love me, or I'll call ICE.

• 1:29:29Stavros Halkias?

Yeah, it's like, things are getting kinda tough.

• 1:29:31Speaker 05

Fucking bounce you out of here.

• 1:29:32Stavros Halkias?

For you right now, if you don't listen to daddy.

• 1:29:35Speaker 03

This reminds me, my grandma went through a phase years ago where she was like, really afraid of like clogging the toilet, so she would flush all, she would like put all her toilet papers like used in like a trash can next to it. And it wasn't even like a clothes top thing.

• 1:29:51Speaker 05

  Crazy.

• 1:29:51Speaker 03

And it drove my mom fucking nuts. She was like, stop, you can flush it down the toilet, it doesn't matter, like, this is fucking nasty, the house is gonna smell like, you know, a public bathroom.

• 1:30:01Speaker 05

  Sure.

• 1:30:02Stavros Halkias?

  Yeah.

• 1:30:02Speaker 03

This reminds me of that because it's like, I just know logic will not get through to this woman.

• 1:30:06Speaker 05

  No.

• 1:30:07Speaker 03

Even if you show her like-

• 1:30:08Speaker 05

It's some weird emotional thing she has.

• 1:30:09Speaker 03

Yeah, it's, and it's like deeply ingrained, and it does sound like a big cultural thing, and yeah, she's been doing it for like, 12 fucking years that-

• 1:30:17Stavros Halkias?

No, my parents were like that too, where it's like, grease you can't, same thing with the toilet paper. And like, I grew up, we didn't flush, like, I remember going to fuck, that was a college thing for me where I was like, whoa, nice. I don't have to fucking put this fucking-

• 1:30:31Speaker 05

You guys aren't mashing your turds down, down the sink?

• 1:30:34Stavros Halkias?

Oh no, not the sink, sorry.

• 1:30:36Speaker 04

You guys don't keep your dubs here?

• 1:30:38Stavros Halkias?

  No, I didn't, I didn't, I wasn't listening, I was fucking sending a Slack message.

• 1:30:42Speaker 05

  No.

• 1:30:42Stavros Halkias?

Uh, but we, we, yeah, we, uh-

• 1:30:45Speaker 04

You walked into a store looking for the shit bucket?

• 1:30:47Stavros Halkias?

Yeah, I was like, hey, where do we shit?

• 1:30:49Speaker 05

Did you guys, hold on, did you ever see that, I don't know if it's a podcast, and the guy's like, wait a, it's, it's the blacks, he's like, wait a second, you guys aren't catching your poop out of your butt?

• 1:30:56Stavros Halkias?

  Yes, yes.

• 1:30:57Speaker 05

  Is that real or fake?

• 1:30:58Stavros Halkias?

The guy said he would put whole toilet paper-

• 1:31:00Speaker 05

Yeah, he catches the poop and then puts it in, and he's like shocked. And they're like, well, what do you do when you have diarrhea? He's like, you wash your hands.

• 1:31:06Stavros Halkias?

  Insane dude.

• 1:31:07Speaker 05

  Crazy.

• 1:31:07Stavros Halkias?

Yeah. No, but that, it's true, it's like, it's funny, each culture does deal with bathroom stuff differently, but either way, you just have to be like, look, this has to fucking end. What the fuck is wrong with you?

• 1:31:19Speaker 05

  Put your foot down dude.

• 1:31:21Stavros Halkias?

  He's not going to.

• 1:31:22Speaker 05

  No, he's gonna roll over.

• 1:31:23Stavros Halkias?

He's gonna be fucking eating fajitas and smelling like piss his whole life. And that's okay, we make trade-offs in life.

• 1:31:31Speaker 09

Hey Sav, hey Aldis, hey guests or guests, um, big fan of the show.

• 1:31:37Stavros Halkias?

  Oh, thank you.

• 1:31:38Speaker 09

So, I just moved to a new city a year and a half ago and in hopes of having a better dating life. Well, that's not the only reason, but that's like a big reason. I'm from a small city, so, you know, we upgraded, we live in, out here live in.

• 1:31:55Stavros Halkias?

  Respect.

• 1:31:56Speaker 09

My thing is, is basically I am only attracted to fat guys.

• 1:32:02Stavros Halkias?

  I know.

• 1:32:03Speaker 09

And like, I'm chubby myself, like, and I'm just, I'm only, like, if you don't got a gut, like, I don't,

• 1:32:10Stavros Halkias?

  Love this.

• 1:32:10Speaker 09

I don't want it. And there's like, no fat guys here.

• 1:32:15Stavros Halkias?

  Hmm.

• 1:32:15Speaker 09

Like, I don't want to live in Montreal.

• 1:32:18Stavros Halkias?

  She's in Montreal.

• 1:32:20Speaker 09

  Bakers everywhere, all this-

• 1:32:22Stavros Halkias?

You know, the dreamboat tour does come to Montreal. Uh, let's flash the date right here. We'll be in Montreal this spring, maybe May, I believe, so, uh, you know, keep that in mind. Go ahead.

• 1:32:36Speaker 09

Bakers everywhere, all this shit, but like, I dated the one hot fat guy basically around and that didn't work out. And I'm like, oh, is that it?

• 1:32:47Stavros Halkias?

  Mm-hmm.

• 1:32:48Speaker 09

And anyway, it's just like, do I, if I wanna find people I'm into, do I, like, I don't wanna move again.

• 1:32:58Stavros Halkias?

Sure. You can't move to find fat guys, that's crazy.

• 1:33:01Speaker 09

  Where are they at?

• 1:33:02Stavros Halkias?

  It's not getting crazy, Kevin.

• 1:33:03Speaker 09

  Where are they at, Savvy?

• 1:33:05Stavros Halkias?

  The American Midwest.

• 1:33:06Speaker 09

Um, anyway, hopefully, I don't know how you can give me any insight on this, but I'd love to hear it if you have some.

• 1:33:16Stavros Halkias?

I love this girl, obviously. This broad's just trying to bang ya. This is a direct target. And it might work out for her, who knows, who's to say? But I think in gen- I love the idea- See you at your show. I love the idea of like, you know, we talk, like, you know, there's like passport bros that go to, go to fucking, you know, Thailand. I love the idea of like, Canadian women that wanna fuck fat guys moving to Chicago, moving to Cincinnati. Going to St. Louis or something. Yeah, yeah, yeah. Big weekend coming up in Akron.

• 1:33:48Stavros Halkias?

Going down to the cheddar fest.

• 1:33:51Stavros Halkias?

But it is, it's very, look, all I'm saying is, take a fucking weekend to fucking Chicago. Go, go, I mean, truly, if you want my actual advice about where you will find the guys you wanna fuck. Chicago might be the, because it's, she's Canadian, she's a-

• 1:34:07Speaker 05

  You're close.

• 1:34:07Stavros Halkias?

She's in Montreal, it's cosmopolitan, whatever. Also like-

• 1:34:11Speaker 05

  Montreal's close to like-

• 1:34:12Speaker 04

You head over to Old Town.

• 1:34:13Speaker 05

Like, no, where's, I guess Montreal's like above New York, right? No?

• 1:34:16Speaker 04

Just hang out in front of Jean and Giorgetti's, you'll find what you're looking for.

• 1:34:18Speaker 05

It's above New York, go to Buffalo.

• 1:34:20Stavros Halkias?

You're not that far from Buffalo, yeah.

• 1:34:21Speaker 05

  Rochester, Albany.

• 1:34:23Stavros Halkias?

Buffalo's where you want, look, you're not, yeah, let's Google Maps Montreal.

• 1:34:27Speaker 05

It's, cause I went one time and you, we drove up through New York.

• 1:34:30Stavros Halkias?

Toronto to Buffalo is, they're right next door, it's like forty minutes. So Montreal, I don't, you know, I don't know, it can't be that far, might be a couple, four hours or so. Let's see the fattest city Montreal is near.

• 1:34:42Speaker 05

  Oh, it's above Vermont.

• 1:34:43Stavros Halkias?

Alright, it's not the fattest guys there. Just fucking go.

• 1:34:48Speaker 05

No, I mean, alright, so Syracuse is like, nah, I mean, it's in the fucking map.

• 1:34:52Stavros Halkias?

Just goo- go from one to the other, you fucking dunce. Starting point Montreal to Buffalo.

• 1:35:01Speaker 05

I couldn't imagine the pressure of navigating a, a website I know intimately. More like hundreds of thousands of people watching.

• 1:35:10Stavros Halkias?

Oh, it's, you know, it's a seven hour drive, so it's not super close to Buffalo, but still, you know, you got some fat people.

• 1:35:17Speaker 05

There's fat people, listen, you're telling me there's no fat guys in Canada?

• 1:35:20Stavros Halkias?

There's got Matty Matheson, where, where is he from?

• 1:35:24Speaker 05

There's gotta be some beer drinking guy who likes hockey outside of fucking, that's not a French-

• 1:35:30Speaker 04

What about Sherbrooke or Ottawa? There's gotta be a couple of porkers over there.

• 1:35:33Speaker 05

  No, it's good, yeah.

• 1:35:34Stavros Halkias?

Ottawa, sure. And so, look, maybe take a couple, I love, like, I like the idea of a girl's trip to fucking Wisconsin. To get, you gotta go get some cock in Wisconsin, but-

• 1:35:45Speaker 05

Also, come to New York, you have your pick of the three of us.

• 1:35:49Stavros Halkias?

  Yeah, um-

• 1:35:51Speaker 05

  Thank you to Christos.

• 1:35:52Stavros Halkias?

Mm-hmm, I mean, look, you're finding fat guys a lot of places.

• 1:35:55Speaker 05

  Yeah.

• 1:35:56Stavros Halkias?

I can't, I cannot imagine this is an issue for you. Um, the one hot fat guy in Montreal, I mean, Montreal does feel like a place where it might be harder is that European influence.

• 1:36:05Speaker 04

Sometimes that's a really hot fat guy there in Montreal. I picture he has like silver hair, slick back, just speaks French.

• 1:36:11Speaker 05

  Dress as well.

• 1:36:12Stavros Halkias?

The guy, we're fully describing the guy who wants to fuck.

• 1:36:17Stavros Halkias?

If you see him, call me. Oh, it's a jazz club and a bakery.

• 1:36:22Stavros Halkias?

The guy you're describing sounds awesome. His father invented the cronut. Gold fights off big cronut money.

• 1:36:29Speaker 03

I feel like she could go stake out some poutine places up there.

• 1:36:32Stavros Halkias?

Ooh, true. You know, find the best poutine place and fucking set up shit like you're on a fucking police stakeout. Fucking rented Camry, get low with some binoculars and just watch the fattest guy coming into poutine.

• 1:36:47Speaker 05

What's the other one? What is it? Tony Hortons? Tim Hortons? Tell me, you know, you go find a Tim Hortons.

• 1:36:54Stavros Halkias?

Tim Hortons is like Dunkin' Donuts.

• 1:36:55Speaker 05

That's what I'm saying. You'll find a fat guy. You know what I mean?

• 1:36:59Stavros Halkias?

  Right.

• 1:36:59Speaker 05

  Go to the fucking.

• 1:37:00Stavros Halkias?

And you'll find out of town fat guys. Right, right, yeah. So, look, it's not hard.

• 1:37:06Speaker 05

I said I'm opening for Stav in Montreal.

• 1:37:08Stavros Halkias?

  Yeah.

• 1:37:11Stavros Halkias?

Put on fifty pounds before you get up there.

• 1:37:14Stavros Halkias?

Um, yeah, I mean, look, you're just, I wonder where'd you come from? Maybe it's time to go home where they're fatter, but in any major city, you're gonna get fatter, guys. You know, if you want to, just take a trip to some, it sounds like you want to stay in Canada. You can find some fucking outdoorsy fat guys.

• 1:37:34Speaker 05

You're not that far from Albany. I mean, you're, you know.

• 1:37:36Stavros Halkias?

Well, put yourself out there a little more. Where, where do, where do we hang out? I mean, go to a, you know, go to a buffet. Go to, go to the movies, yes. Oh, yeah. Go to some fucking, I mean, you know, that's the wrong kind of fat guy. I was like, go to the, when Deadpool four comes out. Inter mural or hockey league.

• 1:37:54Speaker 05

Got it. Big and tall store.

• 1:37:56Stavros Halkias?

  Ah.

• 1:37:57Speaker 05

They're going there. That's the, that's the fucking bugs out. That's the light for them. They're gonna converge on a.

• 1:38:03Stavros Halkias?

  Chubbies on Montreal Avenue.

• 1:38:04Speaker 05

  On a DXL.

• 1:38:05Stavros Halkias?

And let me tell you, if there was a hot woman at a DXL.

• 1:38:09Speaker 05

  She'd be cleaning up.

• 1:38:09Stavros Halkias?

That would be my dream come true. You know what I mean? Just to, like, I literally think, because dude, you go to a DXL and you see the fuck, fat guys weirdly get to have, you know, thank God for this, get to have hot wives.

• 1:38:22Speaker 05

  Sure.

• 1:38:23Stavros Halkias?

Um, I, I can't tell you how many, like, hot women I've seen just, like, picking up the largest jeans you've ever seen.

• 1:38:29Speaker 05

Can you help me with these? They need two people to carry them.

• 1:38:31Stavros Halkias?

Just doing the, just like straining to pick up pants to hand to their husbands.

• 1:38:38Speaker 04

  Dragging a body.

• 1:38:40Stavros Halkias?

Good luck, baby girl. We love this. You're very important to the community. Girls like you, we need more of you and go out there. Go out there, keep, you know, head up the poutine shacks, hit up the D, the Montreal DXL and you'll be, you'll be sucking off dick that's not getting fully hard in no time.

• 1:39:00Speaker 03

This reminded me of a little are you garbage style question.

• 1:39:03Stavros Halkias?

  Hit me.

• 1:39:04Speaker 03

Okay, I'm sure the people will be interested to hear.

• 1:39:07Speaker 08

I have a question about putting on deodorant, whether I really need to do it every day.

• 1:39:12Stavros Halkias?

  Okay.

• 1:39:12Speaker 08

Uh, I feel like it's something that's important to do once you get out of the shower.

• 1:39:16Stavros Halkias?

  Hmm.

• 1:39:17Speaker 08

But if you get out of the shower and put on deodorant and don't shower for another couple of days.

• 1:39:22Stavros Halkias?

  Couple.

• 1:39:23Speaker 08

My experience, odor is not a problem.

• 1:39:25Stavros Halkias?

  Couple of days.

• 1:39:29Stavros Halkias?

  Did you call in elders?

• 1:39:30Speaker 05

  Yeah.

• 1:39:32Speaker 04

That's when you need to deodorant the most. You do that in between.

• 1:39:34Speaker 05

I guess, but some of the stuff like if you use more of the powder base, which I tend to do, that sticks on you for more than 24 hours. So if you're not showering, you're not washing it off. So like, I kind of get that, like you're, you're pretty good for at least 24. You can, it can spread.

• 1:39:52Speaker 03

This is my common practice. I only put deodorant on after a shower, even if I'm going like two or three days.

• 1:39:58Speaker 05

  I don't disagree with that.

• 1:39:59Stavros Halkias?

  You don't.

• 1:40:00Speaker 05

Three days? But are you leaving the house if you don't shower for three days? Are you like, I'm going to work?

• 1:40:05Speaker 03

Usually not more than two, but sure. Sometimes, you know, things that come up and.

• 1:40:09Speaker 05

I'm really hunkered down if I'm not showered.

• 1:40:12Speaker 04

Yeah, I'm usually pretty, in a pretty depressive state.

• 1:40:14Stavros Halkias?

For sure. That's crazy. That's part of the problem. Also, I guess my, my question is what's the harm in an extra swipe or two?

• 1:40:21Speaker 05

  Sure.

• 1:40:22Stavros Halkias?

Yeah. What's the big deal with the maintenance swipe? What do you?

• 1:40:25Speaker 03

I feel like you're, I feel like your BO still comes through when you do, when you do that, if like.

• 1:40:32Stavros Halkias?

Yeah. What's the other, what's the other option? Just pure BO or like a gentleman's layer of fucking Old Spice over it?

• 1:40:39Speaker 03

I think if you need to shower, like deodorant will not mask it.

• 1:40:42Speaker 05

  Well, then you gotta shower.

• 1:40:43Speaker 03

  It will cut through.

• 1:40:44Stavros Halkias?

Right. He's taking the shower out of it. We're all in agreement.

• 1:40:47Speaker 05

  He should be showering.

• 1:40:49Stavros Halkias?

But in, if you're in a pinch.

• 1:40:50Speaker 05

So should you, by the way.

• 1:40:51Stavros Halkias?

  Yeah.

• 1:40:52Speaker 05

How are we doing? He's turned us upside down. I'm like, oh yeah, I guess if you're fucking shower.

• 1:40:57Stavros Halkias?

This is insane. This is like, like, um, it's just like, the answer is so clear. It's like, what numbers come next?

• 1:41:04Speaker 05

Yeah. Shower and if you're not put on fucking deodorant. That's the answer.

• 1:41:08Stavros Halkias?

You should shower and put deodorant on. And if you don't shower, you should still put deodorant on. And if you do neither, that's worse than the other two.

• 1:41:17Speaker 05

Sure, if you remove one, you gotta do the other.

• 1:41:18Stavros Halkias?

I mean, what the fuck are we talking about?

• 1:41:19Speaker 05

  For sure.

• 1:41:20Stavros Halkias?

There's no question here. You're fucking stupid.

• 1:41:22Speaker 05

Remember when I went to, I tried to go all natural to get off the aluminum?

• 1:41:25Speaker 03

Are you saying when you're wearing like Mitchum or something like that?

• 1:41:27Speaker 05

Dude, it took, it took a couple of days, but once all like the toxins.

• 1:41:31Stavros Halkias?

  Yeah.

• 1:41:32Speaker 05

  There was a buildup.

• 1:41:33Stavros Halkias?

  You were stinking?

• 1:41:34Speaker 05

They were still preventing me. Man, he, we were like mid podcast with a guest. He's like, dude, you're like, it was like Rob Lowe or somebody. He's like, he's like, dude, you stink.

• 1:41:43Speaker 04

Talk about, talk about hoagie fuck.

• 1:41:46Speaker 05

  It was bad, dude.

• 1:41:48Stavros Halkias?

  That's fucking hilarious, dude. Yeah.

• 1:41:50Speaker 05

  Go ahead, yeah.

• 1:41:50Speaker 04

  I can't be with everything.

• 1:41:51Stavros Halkias?

The no aluminum is very, the natural deodorant is tough. Um, all right, you got something fun for us to go out on here with the boys?

• 1:41:59Speaker 03

  Yep.

• 1:42:04Speaker 10

Hey, do you know what the uh, zip code is in Beverly Hills? If you didn't, it's nine oh two one oh.

• 1:42:13Stavros Halkias?

  Okay.

• 1:42:13Speaker 10

And I don't know if you know the zip code in Dawson's Creek, but it's nine oh one oh eight. Love you, bud.

• 1:42:22Stavros Halkias?

  Nine oh one oh eight?

• 1:42:25Speaker 03

  What?

• 1:42:26Speaker 05

  Yeah.

• 1:42:27Stavros Halkias?

  I don't, like, I don't wanna wait?

• 1:42:29Speaker 05

  Yeah, yeah, yeah.

• 1:42:29Stavros Halkias?

Really good, Eldis. Very strong call to end on because, because of Foley thinking he was gonna be on Dawson's Creek. You put a bear, bear, something that should have been a shitty meme. Something that's a bad reel that you wouldn't even throw a hard on.

• 1:42:47Speaker 05

Hold on, where is Dawson's? Is it really in North Carolina? Like, where does it fictionally take?

• 1:42:51Stavros Halkias?

It's not nine oh one oh eight.

• 1:42:53Speaker 05

No, I know, but that's where they shot it, right?

• 1:42:55Stavros Halkias?

Yeah. This is how bad, this is how unfunny this is. We have clarifying questions that is only gonna confuse us more.

• 1:43:02Speaker 04

I thought she said, I don't wanna wait. It's nine oh one.

• 1:43:04Stavros Halkias?

Nine oh one oh eight? It's a joke.

• 1:43:06Speaker 04

Cause I don't wanna wait is the song.

• 1:43:08Stavros Halkias?

  Right.

• 1:43:09Speaker 04

  Pretty good.

• 1:43:10Stavros Halkias?

Ended with the bang. Very good producing Eldis as usual. Instincts couldn't be sharper.

• 1:43:17Speaker 03

I, I could have sworn she actually mentioned, are you garbage? But I guess that was my note when I like screamed this week's ago.

• 1:43:23Speaker 05

I was reading it, I'm like, I don't know, I'm, I'm not the best comedian. But I don't know where this fucking punchline.

• 1:43:31Speaker 04

I'm gonna get this kid a shower, man.

• 1:43:34Speaker 05

Spray some Right Guard on him. This guy stinks.

• 1:43:38Stavros Halkias?

Well, great stuff. Watch the special.

• 1:43:40Speaker 05

Route 66 special on the EYG YouTube page, please.

• 1:43:45Stavros Halkias?

These guys are the best. Thanks, guys. Yeah, we'll put links up.

• 1:43:48Speaker 05

  Thank you, brother.

• 1:43:50Stavros Halkias?
