• 1:54Speaker 01

  Yeah.

One of the absolute best in the business, all right? Got two specials out right now. One, two specials out, put them out a month apart. Rugged, my two sons, combined 13 million views over there on the YouTube. Give it up for Raleigh Siddique, everybody. Look at him. 13 mil!

• 2:12Speaker 01

The million-dollar man over here. Everything this guy touches gets a million.

• 2:17H. Foley?

  It's crazy.

• 2:18Speaker 03

  Man.

• 2:19H. Foley?

It's funny, every time we go to, we posted a clip that we had with you about the, the family fight. Every time I go and see it, that is at the top of my thing. Bang, bang, bang, bang, bang.

• 2:29Speaker 03

  I appreciate it.

• 2:32Speaker 03

I'm just working, man. Not like you guys. Four months.

• 2:36Speaker 01

  Oh, yeah.

• 2:37Speaker 03

I'm still, I am still caught up. I took six weeks off and it was horrible the first two weeks.

• 2:46Speaker 01

  It's bad.

• 2:47H. Foley?

It's, we told you. It's been bad.

• 2:50Speaker 03

You detox. You're trying to detox. Like, I'm waking up, like, you know how many times I had to pack clothes on a Thursday, thinking I got a flight on Friday? Like, nope. You're home. And it's horrible.

• 3:01Speaker 01

With nothing to live for. I don't know what's going on. You're just going every day is the same.

• 3:05H. Foley?

Here's how bad it is. I'm still living out of my shaving kit. Like, my mind is still there, in like, a weird way.

• 3:11Speaker 03

I'm looking at the same people in my house. I'm like, no new people?

• 3:17Speaker 03

  Like, this is terrible, man.

• 3:18H. Foley?

Yeah, it's been a rough, worst summer ever. I'll tell you that right now. I can't wait to get back out on the road.

• 3:22Speaker 01

  Yeah, it's, um, it's a, it's a, it is a perspective changer, for sure.

• 3:27Speaker 03

And then when you come back, you, um, you so rusty. It's time in this.

• 3:33Speaker 01

  It's bad.

• 3:34Speaker 03

I'd look back at the first show when I came back. I was like, oh, wow, look at this great open mic'er.

• 3:42H. Foley?

  This kid's got potential.

• 3:43Speaker 03

Yeah, he can be something if he keep doing it.

• 3:45Speaker 01

Yeah. What's his second, third time? This guy's pretty good.

• 3:48H. Foley?

We kept up with the city spots, trying to get ready for the tour and all that stuff, but, yeah. It's not that, it's the days. There's just not much to do during the days.

• 3:57Speaker 03

  Oh, man, it's...

• 3:59H. Foley?

That's how guys get on heroin.

• 4:01Speaker 01

That's his way of telling us he's doing heroin.

• 4:05H. Foley?

If I had a number, it might be a bad problem.

• 4:09H. Foley?

Can't find nobody. I go around the high school, I go around the store, nobody's got a connection.

• 4:13Speaker 03

Instead of I had a number.

• 4:16Speaker 03

I have no numbers. It's been, it's been rough. I, um, I came back and when I come off vacation, I start doing the clubs. For a couple of weeks and I don't have a problem with the clubs. It's the fans that wanna tell me, "Oh, man, you too big to be in the clubs."

• 4:36Speaker 01

  That dude.

• 4:37Speaker 03

I'm like, "Did you ever say that to DL?" Or Bill Burr. I see other people in clubs.

• 4:44H. Foley?

Working things out. Yeah, what do you mean?

• 4:45Speaker 03

I'm like, "They touring the clubs. Like, how is it me, I'm too big to be in the clubs, I'm just not coming back." I know that I'm going back to the theaters, but you can make pretty significant money and that's the thing that a lot of these, um...

• 5:01Speaker 01

  Significant money.

• 5:02Speaker 03

These comics are starting to do because they're on, they're featured on other people's theater tours. That's not your tour. So for you to, to, um, downplay the clubs, do you know how much money you can make?

• 5:18H. Foley?

Hit the club for seven shows.

• 5:20Speaker 01

Buddy, we're, we're, listen, we do, we do clubs during the week. We'll go Wednesday, Thursday, you know, Tuesday, Wednesday, Thursday, city hit clubs.

• 5:27H. Foley?

Shout out to the Charlotte Comedy Zone.

• 5:29Speaker 01

  Yeah, shout out to it.

• 5:30H. Foley?

  Woo, what?

• 5:31Speaker 01

That's a great, that room is so good.

• 5:33Speaker 03

Big up to Charlotte Comedy. I'm on the wall.

• 5:37H. Foley?

  That's a check and a half.

• 5:39Speaker 03

  Man.

• 5:39Speaker 01

It's a good check. Wednesday night.

• 5:41H. Foley?

  Chicken fingers ain't bad either.

• 5:43Speaker 03

It's a great check. I've gotten a check from comedy.

• 5:47H. Foley?

  Sure.

• 5:47Speaker 03

And this is the thing about...

• 5:49H. Foley?

Was there more seats in here? I didn't realize.

• 5:51Speaker 03

  It's crazy.

• 5:52H. Foley?

  Yeah, it's crazy.

• 5:53Speaker 03

It's, it's one of these things that I think younger comics are taking on the cachet of more seasoned comics. And then they only wanna play.

• 6:01H. Foley?

  The theaters.

• 6:02Speaker 03

Like the improv. They wanna play theaters or they wanna just play the improvs or the funny bones. What? What about the comedies though? They have forty some rules.

• 6:12H. Foley?

  Get down there.

• 6:13Speaker 01

  Hit me up.

• 6:14Speaker 03

What about Rick Bronson's? How's the comedy? What about Hilarities?

• 6:18Speaker 01

  Hilarities is great.

• 6:19Speaker 03

  Zany's in Nashville is awesome.

• 6:22Speaker 01

That's where we saw you, yeah.

• 6:23H. Foley?

  That's where we saw you.

• 6:24Speaker 03

Like, what is wrong with these other clubs? That people, the Looney Bin, go to the cellar, go to the Comedy Store. It's other clubs, other than the improv and the funny bones.

• 6:37H. Foley?

  Sure.

• 6:38Speaker 03

Now, if you want to, if you doing this for vanity, like, I tell people, um, Netflix is kind of like a vanity.

• 6:46Speaker 01

  Sure, yeah.

• 6:46Speaker 03

Oh, I'm on Netflix. Okay, well, you know, there's other platforms that you can get a bag from if that's what you, if you seeking out to do. Are you trying to build your fan base? You put out a special, I, I, I want to say this.

• 7:00H. Foley?

That's only a bag to a few people, too. Rest of it's, you're getting retail.

• 7:03Speaker 03

I definitely want to say this. Every hour set that people are putting out, we gonna have to stop titling them specials. Like, because there's nothing, this is a set, this is an hour.

• 7:16Speaker 01

  Ollie wants to smoke.

• 7:17Speaker 03

This is not a special. It, it doesn't have any perspective to it, no legs, I can't learn nothing from it. Yo, you ever, you ever shit it with your boots on? I'm like, that's not a special.

• 7:29Speaker 01

That was my one bit, alright? Relax, this fucking guy coming here trashing me on my own goddamn show.

• 7:34H. Foley?

Ollie's starting beef with Howie Mandel.

• 7:37Speaker 03

I didn't say nobody's not, I'm just saying, what, man? Every, and then they send them, no, let me tell you why this is a problem with me. Because people know that I am producing people's specials. You know, I did Marcus D. Wiley's special, I'm finna drop some other people's specials that I, that I have done. And some people that I'm distributing, but they send them to me. And...

• 8:02H. Foley?

  You then have to-

• 8:03Speaker 03

  I understand the industry now.

• 8:05H. Foley?

  Gotcha.

• 8:07Speaker 03

I'm just like this, okay, wow, this is what you want me to do? Okay, then I said a message, okay, with notes, I'm sending people notes on specials that they've already shot. It's nothing, you gotta send this to me before you shoot it, and then I have to say, and this is the hard part, and these are friends.

• 8:35H. Foley?

Man, the last thing I would want is notes from you, crucify me.

• 8:38Speaker 03

And these are, these are people who have to say this very kindly, hey, um, this is not what I'm looking for.

• 8:51Speaker 01

  We're gonna pass.

• 8:52Speaker 03

I gotta pass on people, like, man, I'm like, okay, and then there's people that I'm helping write, and I see that there is a disconnect in their writing, and you're asking me to help you, like, do one-liners. But it's, it's, it's rough, because, okay, you did that one-liner, then where do we go from here? A special has to have a-

• 9:24H. Foley?

  Through line of something.

• 9:25Speaker 03

Yeah, it has to have some sort of through line, has to have a beginning, a middle, and an end, you have to be able to wrap it up at the end. It's like, yo, bruh, I don't even, and especially if you come to me and you don't even have a title yet. I have, you have no title, so we are-

• 9:41H. Foley?

Hi dude, I- Listen, everybody can't sit down in a chair and murder for an hour and a half. Some guys gotta do fat jokes and airplane stuff. I don't know what to tell you.

• 9:50Speaker 01

And ever share with your boots on.

• 9:51Speaker 03

Then we got a label, it's fat jokes, it has to have a through line, like-

• 9:57H. Foley?

Fat jokes and airplane- Airplane observation.

• 10:00Speaker 03

  Yeah.

• 10:01H. Foley?

Me on the cover like this.

• 10:03Speaker 03

And then, and then it's hard to tell people that they think that what they're saying is new. And then I send you five other people.

• 10:13Speaker 01

I would never say do anything, dude.

• 10:15Speaker 03

  Said that.

• 10:16Speaker 01

  That's crazy.

• 10:17Speaker 03

And, and some of it was better than what you said. And this guy has been doing it six weeks. You've been, you've been here 15 years and you're doing something.

• 10:28Speaker 01

You gotta go live with Ali, dude. Hey guy, he's, he's. What do you think, have you been like 215?

• 10:33H. Foley?

What are you doing for the rest of the summer?

• 10:34Speaker 01

  Writing material?

• 10:35H. Foley?

I'll work in the garden, I'll do whatever, cut the grass, whatever.

• 10:38Speaker 03

I'm like, can, can you just, give me, okay, let's surround it. If you wanna do a bunch of one line, okay, let's surround it with 30 minutes of something about your actual life, about you. And, and that's how we can build it, but I can't, I can't build something based upon everything in the news and everything that somebody else has said.

• 11:00Speaker 01

  Sure.

• 11:00Speaker 03

Hey man, okay, when you over 40, you know you got to pee. Okay, we, we got it.

• 11:08H. Foley?

Gotta pee? What the fuck, that was in my 30 minutes?

• 11:12Speaker 01

  That's what it is.

• 11:12Speaker 03

We got it. You know what I'm saying?

• 11:13Speaker 01

  Man.

• 11:14Speaker 03

Okay, uh, 20, somebody 20 and somebody 40, their pee is different, we got it, we, it's been said.

• 11:20Speaker 01

Did you watch his special before you came?

• 11:22Speaker 03

It's like, damn, and like, okay.

• 11:26H. Foley?

  Ali Siddique's comedy camp.

• 11:28Speaker 03

Indian food comes out fast, I got it, I said it already, I said it 15 years ago.

• 11:33Speaker 01

You're right, that is a pretty good bet.

• 11:34H. Foley?

You change that to Pakistani food, keep it current.

• 11:40H. Foley?

Ali Siddique's comedy camp, how fun would that be?

• 11:42Speaker 03

  It would be.

• 11:43H. Foley?

  Be like a major pain.

• 11:44Speaker 03

  It would.

• 11:45H. Foley?

  That would be awesome.

• 11:46Speaker 01

Did you find a canny in your pocket?

• 11:49H. Foley?

  Just lining people up, crunk.

• 11:51Speaker 03

Yeah, women, women, uh, women are just, man, I, hey, bruh, okay.

• 11:55H. Foley?

That would be an, that'd be an awesome movie.

• 11:57Speaker 03

  Yeah.

• 11:58Speaker 01

  That's so funny, dude.

• 12:00Speaker 03

  It's a, it's a thing, so. And I, I, I just don't under, I don't understand as a more seasoned comic, I'm still trying to get better, like.

• 12:13H. Foley?

  Sure.

• 12:13Speaker 03

  Every, man.

• 12:16H. Foley?

You don't understand why everybody else stinks.

• 12:18Speaker 03

  No, I, I.

• 12:18H. Foley?

  That makes sense.

• 12:19Speaker 03

  I think.

• 12:20H. Foley?

  We do, we stink.

• 12:21Speaker 03

  No, people are, are good.

• 12:23Speaker 01

Remember when he came to our show, he's like, I'm gonna hang out in back and watch. I'm like, I'm about to pull the goddamn fire alarm. Fuck you talking about sending to back and watch?

• 12:31H. Foley?

That's funny, we all just got covid.

• 12:32Speaker 01

Holy good, you wanna put him up, I go, he ain't going in front of me. You fucking nuts?

• 12:39Speaker 01

  Have him close out.

• 12:41H. Foley?

I was gonna do the checks, turn the lights on, then bring you up. I see how good he is now, huh? Still up there killing.

• 12:50Speaker 03

It's like, that's how I started. Started like that. You know, like, yo, I, I started in this spot, like, and this is where it's crazy, because I used to have different rooms. I have like four rooms in a week.

• 13:03Speaker 01

  Mm-hmm.

• 13:03Speaker 03

And every room levels you up to the improv.

• 13:07Speaker 01

  Mm-hmm.

• 13:07Speaker 03

And you, the first room with this room called Diallo's. And Diallo's, if you make it through Diallo's, Diallo's is so crazy, I'm the host and they don't give a damn about me. Ollie, you better be on tonight. I'm like, hey, bruh, I, I've been doing my thing up here for weeks. I don't give a damn, that was last week. You was funny last week, they got nothing to do with today. I, he had a heart, and it's people that be walking on the stage with they drinks, just standing there right in your face.

• 13:39H. Foley?

It reminds me, it sounds like mokas.

• 13:40Speaker 03

And talking about you ain't got, and tell you in your face, you ain't got it. You ain't got, you ain't got it.

• 13:45Speaker 01

One of the harshest echoes I ever had was at the Laugh House on South Street in Philadelphia.

• 13:50Speaker 03

  In Philly?

• 13:50Speaker 01

And a woman in the front, she told me, you ain't funny and your head big, and it fucking. I mean, I've, the flop sweat that started once she said that.

• 14:02Speaker 03

Yo, but it's the, it's the training camp of going up, then you would do, um, the worst room, my, I think my worst room was this room, um, the Red Cat. Well, it was.

• 14:14Speaker 01

  I wouldn't step.

• 14:15H. Foley?

You're bombing the Red Cat's bed.

• 14:17Speaker 03

And you do, the craziest thing about the Red Cat, it's 90% all just gorgeous women. And you're bombing in front of them, because they, they'll start chit chatting at their table. Like, if you couldn't get them, it was just, and I'd just be sitting on the sideline like, just get out.

• 14:37Speaker 01

Yeah, wrap it up, wrap it up.

• 14:39Speaker 03

Just say goodnight. And they, ah, it was, I was like, yo, man, they will silence you out. When y'all start hearing the chatter, and they like, yeah, they're like, you on stage, and they're like, yeah, so.

• 14:50Speaker 01

It's like wildfire. You feel it grow through the crowd.

• 14:54H. Foley?

The first guest spot I ever had, Toure put me up at Warm Daddy's.

• 14:57Speaker 03

  Toure.

• 14:57H. Foley?

In Philly. Yeah, he was great. We started at the Laugh House, and that's where I hosted for the five years that we were down in Philly. And, you know, got up to feature and all that kind of stuff. It was me, Cotton, Cassidy, Ian Feidance, Richie Redding, of course. Um, and Richie Redding. And it was, uh, quite the education, as you would know. Gives me a spot at Warm Daddy's. It's like a Sunday, it's packed out, everyone looks good, food's going around, everybody's fresh. And I go up there and I do like a 10 minute bit about sledding and skiing.

• 15:30H. Foley?

  Silence.

• 15:31Speaker 01

  You's ever been to Aspen?

• 15:34H. Foley?

He comes up, he's like, hey, man, don't worry about it. Turns around, he's like, this motherfucker talking about skiing in front of a room full of black people. That murders. My shirt blew off me as I was getting off the stage.

• 15:45Speaker 03

I'm gonna say this, I have never been so jealous.

• 15:50Speaker 03

In my life, because I was gonna let it just slide by because you said you performed at the Laugh House in Philly. Then you came back with the Laugh House in Philly. Do you understand, the Laugh House told me that I was not good enough to come play because they wouldn't book me at their spot.

• 16:06Speaker 01

Well, just for the record, we weren't good enough to be there. We just so happened to be there.

• 16:10Speaker 03

Like, they were like, no. Like, they like, no. No passing. Constantly passed on me. So when I finally came to Philly.

• 16:19Speaker 01

  Mm-hmm.

• 16:19Speaker 03

I came to the Punch Line.

• 16:22Speaker 01

  Mm-hmm.

• 16:22Speaker 03

And I sold out like six shows. And then I just was like.

• 16:26H. Foley?

Was the Laugh House even still open then?

• 16:28Speaker 03

And this was, I asked. I said, hey, I like to go by the Laugh House. You know, after the show, I was like, they was like, oh, it's closed. I'm like, yeah, wonder why.

• 16:39Speaker 03

  Wonder, wonder why.

• 16:40Speaker 01

We have that, we have that too at some places that passed on us earlier in your career. You're like, now what? Because you're, you know, every comic's crazy to an extent at the end of the day. Holds a grudge.

• 16:49Speaker 03

It was a spot in Houston, the Laugh Spot would never, would never book me. It was the craziest thing. This guy that I got booked on the Tom Joyner cruise.

• 17:03H. Foley?

  Okay.

• 17:04Speaker 03

I had never seen his set, anything. He was a hypnotist. Hypno Bro. He passed away.

• 17:10H. Foley?

  Tom Joyner.

• 17:10Speaker 03

R.I.P. to, um, you know, because Tom Joyner has this huge cruise.

• 17:14Speaker 01

  His name was Hypno Bro?

• 17:15Speaker 03

  Yeah, Hypno Bro.

• 17:15Speaker 01

  That's pretty good.

• 17:16Speaker 03

And he was, he was, he was good too. Um, he, uh, Tom Joyner has this huge cruise.

• 17:21H. Foley?

  Okay.

• 17:22Speaker 03

For charity. It's like, everybody's on there. Like, everybody. It's like artists and comics.

• 17:29H. Foley?

  That'd be a fun cruise.

• 17:30Speaker 03

So it's like, everybody. Like, I opened up Earth, Wind & Fire. Everybody's on this, on this boat, right? Lot of, lot of, um, comics make they bones on this boat. But I get him booked. I had never been on the boat before. I get him booked. This lady came and asked me about him. She said, hey, this is up to you, dude. You know this guy? He's from, comic from Houston, named Hypno Bro. I've never seen his performance ever a day in my life. And I said, yeah, book him. They booked him. He went on, he did a good, he did a good job. I think he got booked again after that. So then a guy named Pete who owned, um, the Laugh Spot. I'm, Chris, Chris Hall is trying to get me booked there.

• 18:16Speaker 03

And the guy asked Hypno Bro about me.

• 18:20Speaker 01

  Mm-hmm.

• 18:21Speaker 03

And Hypno Bro say, "Well, I've never seen him perform in front of a white audience."

• 18:26Speaker 01

  Damn.

• 18:26H. Foley?

  What the fuck?

• 18:27Speaker 03

  And...

• 18:27Speaker 01

  Sandbagging son of a bitch?

• 18:29Speaker 03

They, they, they didn't book me. And me and him never...

• 18:34H. Foley?

  Was he white or black?

• 18:35Speaker 03

He was black. Hypno Bro was black.

• 18:36Speaker 01

He's a Hypno Bro, was white or black?

• 18:38Speaker 03

Yeah. I didn't, I'd never seen him before. I'd never seen him perform. And I just, and I, and I just vouch for him.

• 18:45H. Foley?

The white audience, what the fuck is that?

• 18:48Speaker 03

He had seen me perform at the Houston Empire with a mixed audience. What the hell does a white... I said, you know something, and I never, like, we never spoke again. And he passed, and he passed. And I was like, "Oh, okay." But I was, I was sad that he passed, but I never spoke to him again. Like, you just... Did you just say that you'd never seen...

• 19:07Speaker 01

  I don't, yeah, just, yeah.

• 19:09Speaker 03

What the hell does that have to do with...

• 19:10Speaker 01

  If anything, I've...

• 19:14Speaker 03

DL had never seen me perform in front of a white audience either. And the second time we went out, we went to Austin. Uh, we was at...

• 19:21H. Foley?

I've never seen him in front of any audience.

• 19:23Speaker 01

  Pakistani.

• 19:24Speaker 03

  We was at Cap City.

• 19:27H. Foley?

I know Italians don't like him. What the fuck?

• 19:29Speaker 03

It was more black people in the green room.

• 19:35Speaker 03

It was me, DL, and Derek Keener. And there was one other black person in the whole thing, he was the waiter. And I'm like, I'm like, "Yo." I'm like, "What does the, what does the color have to do with comedy?"

• 21:29H. Foley?

Do it. Yeah. Kip, let's talk about Pesty.

• 21:31Speaker 01

  Ooh, I love that Pesty.

• 21:33H. Foley?

I know you do. You're the expert on Pesty. Gang, you want to take care of the bugs and the little critters going around the house, but you want to do it safe because you've got kids and you've got pets. Pesty is the way to go. We're talking about simple. We're talking about easy. We're talking about you can do it yourself. Kippy did it. I was over there the other day. Not mosquito one.

• 21:51Speaker 01

  Not a bug in sight.

• 21:53H. Foley?

  Uh-uh.

• 21:53Speaker 01

My wife was on it before they were a sponsor. She schooled me on them. I didn't know about it. It's kind of cool. You feel, it made me feel like a man. You set it up, you bing bang boom. And then it's like you walk around the perimeter of the house, shh, around a door, around a window. Not an hour you need. Bada bing, all the pets. The kids can go back outside. It's easy peasy and it's way cheaper than those pros out there. You know what I mean? The kit includes a reusable electronic sprayer. It's got a little hum to it, too. It's got the mixing bag, the pesticides, gloves and instructions. You can complete in less than 10 minutes. It was one of those things where my wife didn't believe me that it was done. She thought I lied. That's how. She's like, what are you done? I'm like, yeah. She's like, you're not done. I go, go check the perimeter. Go see if you see any bugs out there.

• 22:37Speaker 03

Pesty, so easy, your wife won't believe you. That's pretty good.

• 22:40Speaker 01

  Take that to the bank.

• 22:41Speaker 03

  There you go. Copyright.

• 22:43Speaker 01

Now is the time to protect your home from bugs with Pesty. Go to pestie.com slash AYG for an extra 10% off your order. That's Pesty, P-E-S-T-I-E dot com slash AYG for an extra 10% off. Do it. That's, I think Keith, I heard Keith Robin say that early on. He's like, you never take money out of a comics.

• 23:00Speaker 03

  Yes.

• 23:01Speaker 01

Like, you never say trash them to the, you know, because you don't know.

• 23:04Speaker 03

  You don't know.

• 23:05Speaker 01

You just, the best you can say is, I'm not that familiar. I don't know. I know people that know him. I don't know him anything, but like, you don't say anything negative about it.

• 23:13Speaker 03

Give him a shot. You know, because I've seen other people. I had seen other people. The last spot was the only time I've ever in the history of my life wanted a comic not to be good. That was one, one time.

• 23:27Speaker 01

  I got more than that.

• 23:28Speaker 03

I'm four, I'm four months in doing, doing stand up and they kept saying.

• 23:32Speaker 01

Wanted a comic not to be good.

• 23:34Speaker 03

  Oh, yes.

• 23:35Speaker 01

  Hope this guy sucks.

• 23:37Speaker 03

I really did. So they kept talking about, you gotta go to this open mic. You gotta go to this open mic, you know, to get started. So I go, I am number 27 on the list. He is 26.

• 23:52Speaker 01

  Sure.

• 23:52Speaker 03

And we, I don't know why he was talking to me. He said, yeah, um, yeah, I've been doing comedy 20 years. And I was like, you had an open mic? You number 26?

• 24:04Speaker 01

  And you're number 26?

• 24:06Speaker 03

  I was like.

• 24:06Speaker 01

At least be 34 or something.

• 24:07Speaker 03

I was like, I hope he is not good because if he is, I've been doing it four months. He's been doing it 20 years.

• 24:15Speaker 01

  There's no future.

• 24:15Speaker 03

I'm like, yo, it's gonna be a long way to go.

• 24:18Speaker 01

  Yeah.

• 24:18Speaker 03

You know what I'm saying? If he's good.

• 24:20Speaker 01

  Oh, yeah.

• 24:20Speaker 03

And he was not. And I was like, no wonder you 26. And then when I came back to that spot, maybe a year later to host the open mic.

• 24:30Speaker 01

  He's 38.

• 24:31Speaker 03

He like still like 26, 27. And I had to bring him up and say, and this guy right here, when I started.

• 24:42Speaker 03

  I wanted to be good.

• 24:44Speaker 01

  Ah, that makes sense though.

• 24:46H. Foley?

I wanted to ask you about that, uh, since you brought up the green room. What's, uh, anything specific in the rider? Who's in there? Do you bring, um, like, when, when, when you show to a show, you're not wearing what you're gonna wear on stage, right? You change it, change in the green room? And not when you're working out stuff at the clubs, when you're doing, you know.

• 25:05Speaker 03

  Theaters.

• 25:06Speaker 01

Also, I want to hear both. Cause you're doing levity, you got, there's some, you gotta make sure something's in the green room.

• 25:11Speaker 03

Oh, the, the rider, it was crazy, the same rider that's in the theater is in the, in the club.

• 25:16Speaker 01

  That's funny.

• 25:17Speaker 03

It, um, mountain, mountain valley spring water.

• 25:20Speaker 01

  That's good water.

• 25:21Speaker 03

  Um.

• 25:21Speaker 01

  That is good water.

• 25:22Speaker 03

  White cheddar popcorn.

• 25:24Speaker 01

  Smart food?

• 25:25Speaker 03

  Yes.

• 25:29Speaker 01

Damn, you, that guy, that'd be all over me before the show though.

• 25:33Speaker 03

  Yeah.

• 25:33Speaker 01

That creates a film on your finger.

• 25:35Speaker 03

  I eat it after.

• 25:36H. Foley?

Wait, that's your snacky, is the smart food? You're a smart food guy?

• 25:39Speaker 01

  You eat it after.

• 25:39Speaker 03

I eat it, um, strawberries, strawberries, blueberries, grapes.

• 25:43H. Foley?

  Okay.

• 25:43Speaker 03

Um, tortilla chips with, um, salsa.

• 25:46H. Foley?

  Okay.

• 25:47Speaker 03

  Um.

• 25:48Speaker 01

Do you have a preference on the salsa?

• 25:49Speaker 03

Yeah, it, I've had some good ones, so they don't, every salt, every place don't have the same salsa, so I just.

• 25:56H. Foley?

A lot of times they'll go local, which is nice.

• 25:59Speaker 03

Yeah, with, and it's been, and it's been some good, I've had some good ones. I think the, the worst one was some mango salsa that I, I wasn't, I wasn't, I wasn't in the mood for it.

• 26:09H. Foley?

  Really?

• 26:10Speaker 03

I'm not saying that it wasn't good, I just wasn't in the mood, I, I read the title and like, ah, I ain't want no mango.

• 26:15H. Foley?

  Mango corn salsa?

• 26:17Speaker 03

  Yeah.

• 26:17H. Foley?

  Woo!

• 26:18Speaker 03

I wasn't in the mood for it.

• 26:20Speaker 01

Oh, I know, I'm right there with you. Never in the mood for mango corn salsa.

• 26:24Speaker 03

Um, cheese, various cheeses, crackers, um, and what else, oh, Celsius.

• 26:31Speaker 01

  Okay.

• 26:32H. Foley?

  Celsius, okay.

• 26:33Speaker 01

  All very good.

• 26:34H. Foley?

That's solid. And who's usually rolling in there with you? Who's, who's hanging out in the green room?

• 26:38Speaker 03

Uh, in the green room is the feature.

• 26:41H. Foley?

  Course.

• 26:42Speaker 03

Um, Dre, my road manager, and the DJ.

• 26:46H. Foley?

  Okay.

• 26:47Speaker 01

That's right, I remember you say you roll with the DJ.

• 26:48H. Foley?

And then, family, whoever walk pops in, hey, good to see you.

• 26:52Speaker 03

Actually, when I'm, when I know that I'm having family, we get a side room and I put, and I cater the side room and have them mostly because it's still my, my space.

• 27:02H. Foley?

  Sure.

• 27:03Speaker 03

  And.

• 27:03Speaker 01

You want your own personal space. You be like, hey, guys, I'm gonna dip out.

• 27:06Speaker 03

And especially in the theaters, they have multiple rooms.

• 27:08H. Foley?

  Right, right.

• 27:09Speaker 03

But in the club, I'm gonna set up something else for the family or had a family come back afterwards.

• 27:15H. Foley?

  Gotcha.

• 27:15Speaker 03

And, and had the food catered, but I, I still need that, that own space.

• 27:20H. Foley?

Of course. Um, are you, you're changing when you get there completely?

• 27:25Speaker 03

  No, I, um.

• 27:27H. Foley?

Are you, you're rolling and with it on?

• 27:28Speaker 03

I just don't have on my shirt. That's the only thing I, I, the shirt is on the handle.

• 27:32H. Foley?

The show shirt. Yeah, so don't get wrinkled.

• 27:34Speaker 03

Yeah, so it don't get wrinkled.

• 27:35Speaker 01

  You doing a sound check?

• 27:37Speaker 03

  At two o'clock.

• 27:39H. Foley?

  Two?

• 27:39Speaker 03

In the theaters at two o'clock.

• 27:41Speaker 01

  You do it at two?

• 27:42Speaker 03

  I do it at two.

• 27:43Speaker 01

So then you can go chill.

• 27:44Speaker 03

  I can go chill.

• 27:45Speaker 01

That's smart. So then you have the afternoon.

• 27:48Speaker 03

Yeah, we have lunch, um, around twelve, twelve, twelve, twelve thirty, then we go straight to sound check and then we done at the sound check.

• 27:56H. Foley?

What would lunch be? Something at the hotel or are you going out?

• 27:59Speaker 03

No, we, we generally go out somewhere to some.

• 28:02H. Foley?

  Okay.

• 28:02Speaker 03

  Fancy, fancy restaurant, you know?

• 28:05Speaker 01

  Sound check.

• 28:05Speaker 03

Have a Caesar salad. You know, I don't wanna be too full, cause then we, then we ordering dinner to the theater mostly.

• 28:12H. Foley?

  Right.

• 28:13Speaker 03

  And that's a, a pretty decent meal.

• 28:15H. Foley?

  Okay.

• 28:16Speaker 03

  Yeah.

• 28:16Speaker 01

That's pretty good. Smart food. Caesar salad. It's good. I left, we, we did AC two weeks ago. I did a crab cake and meatballs right before.

• 28:23H. Foley?

  Ah, dude, we were dying.

• 28:25Speaker 01

We were at, what steakhouse did we go to?

• 28:27H. Foley?

We went to, uh, shit, what was it called?

• 28:30Speaker 01

The Capital Grill. Whatever was, no, it wasn't Capital Grill.

• 28:32H. Foley?

  Borgata.

• 28:33Speaker 03

  Man.

• 28:34Speaker 01

  Old Homestead.

• 28:35H. Foley?

  Yes.

• 28:35Speaker 01

Yeah, it was in the Borgata. Yeah, yeah, yeah.

• 28:37Speaker 03

Capital Grill. If I tell you the clubs look crazy at us when we come, they're like, oh, you gonna get something to go? No, no. No, we're ordering dinner from Capital Grill.

• 28:49Speaker 01

They'll do it at the clubs, too.

• 28:50Speaker 03

And, and, uh, some nice restaurant. They like, wow, okay. But you don't want nothing on this menu. I don't want your little cheese sticks. I don't want nothing on that menu. Auto choke dip.

• 29:02Speaker 01

It's all the same, it is, it's all the same menu at every comedy club across the country, except maybe two or three.

• 29:08H. Foley?

I've never, I've never once in my life met an auto choke dip that I liked. It always sucks.

• 29:13Speaker 03

Cause it comes, it comes crazy. Okay, let me tell you.

• 29:17H. Foley?

This isn't a club thing, it's anywhere. I've never had an auto choke dip that was good.

• 29:20Speaker 03

Oh, you gotta go, when you come to Houston, you come to Houston, I'll take you to a place that got good Spanish and auto choke.

• 29:26Speaker 01

  Really? Alright.

• 29:27Speaker 03

And it, cause it's gonna come out hot.

• 29:29Speaker 01

  Okay.

• 29:29Speaker 03

It's gonna be cheesy, it's gonna be, it's gonna be really good. And this is, um, Wise Guys, no, I like the club. Like the club.

• 29:38Speaker 01

  About to catch a stray.

• 29:40Speaker 03

I'm gonna say this off the top, like the club Wise Guys.

• 29:43H. Foley?

But stop with the red pepper hummus.

• 29:45Speaker 03

But, man, the, the, I ordered that dip.

• 29:51Speaker 03

And I was like, nah, I'm cool.

• 29:53Speaker 01

  Really?

• 29:53Speaker 03

Like, I was cool on the looks.

• 29:56Speaker 01

  Don't even drop it.

• 29:58Speaker 03

I'm good, I'm straight. And Wise Guys is one of those clubs that keeps me, keeps me very humble. I don't know why. And this lady came with me to my, you are way too good to be here. I'm like, ma'am.

• 30:12Speaker 01

  Well, they're learning.

• 30:13H. Foley?

  I'm just working.

• 30:14Speaker 03

I am practicing. This is, this is, this is like in baseball. I'm, I got injured. I can't come right back. I gotta go to the minor leagues. I gotta go play triple A.

• 30:25Speaker 01

  She hands you 20 bucks.

• 30:25Speaker 03

  For a.

• 30:27Speaker 01

Here you go, baby. What the fuck?

• 30:29Speaker 03

And it, and, and so Levity was, Levity was crazy. Cause there's so many people that saw me at The Beacon. I came in and sold out The Beacon. And then they came to Levity, it was like, yeah, you know, we just came to see you. I'm like, I said, but tell the other people here that I'm, this is not. Well.

• 30:47H. Foley?

  Health of their people.

• 30:48Speaker 03

I've, cause I'm coming to the, I'm coming to, um, to the King's Theater in Brooklyn.

• 30:52H. Foley?

  Uh huh, damn.

• 30:53Speaker 03

  Yeah.

• 30:54H. Foley?

  That place is beautiful.

• 30:55Speaker 03

  It is?

• 30:56H. Foley?

  Oh, yeah.

• 30:57Speaker 03

  Yeah.

• 30:57H. Foley?

  Beautiful.

• 30:58Speaker 01

  I don't even know.

• 30:59H. Foley?

  Yeah, it's beautiful.

• 30:59Speaker 03

  Yeah, I, I'm, I'm, I'm hoping that pretty soon.

• 31:03H. Foley?

  Old school, real old school.

• 31:04Speaker 03

I wanna do, I wanna do Radio City for some reason. I, I really do. I wanna, um, come and do there or the Garden. I would love to do the Garden.

• 31:13H. Foley?

Next slide, the Beacon and then it's, that's the next thing, right?

• 31:16Speaker 03

  The Garden?

• 31:17H. Foley?

No, the Radio City, wouldn't it?

• 31:18Speaker 03

  Radio City, I, hopefully, I don't.

• 31:20Speaker 01

Yeah, I mean, if you're doing the Kings and however many at Levity and, and fucking the Beacon, that's close to the, uh.

• 31:30H. Foley?

  For sure.

• 31:31Speaker 03

  Radio?

• 31:31Speaker 01

  Radio, yeah.

• 31:32Speaker 03

  Close to radio?

• 31:32Speaker 01

I hear it's not great for comedy, though.

• 31:34Speaker 03

  It's not?

• 31:34H. Foley?

  Huh.

• 31:34Speaker 01

It's very, uh, there's no elevation to it.

• 31:40Speaker 03

  Okay.

• 31:40Speaker 01

Straight back and then like there's, oh, they're on the wall. There's no like.

• 31:44Speaker 03

Well, let's just go to the Garden then.

• 31:47Speaker 01

  You heard it here first.

• 31:48Speaker 03

Yeah, yeah, yeah. And I, well, um, shout out to, uh, you know, when you hear other comics did something, accomplished something, like when, big shout out to Russell Peters, cause when I first heard Russell.

• 31:57Speaker 01

  Love Russell Peters.

• 31:58Speaker 03

Well, Russell Peters sold out the Garden for like ninety days. I was like, okay, it was, whatever ridiculous number he sold it out. Um, I was like, that's, that's big. And then I heard Andrew Schultz had sold it out, you know.

• 32:10H. Foley?

  Shout out to Schultz.

• 32:11Speaker 03

Cosby had always sold it out. But then I heard a youngin', one of, one of my young guys sold out, Matt Rife.

• 32:19Speaker 01

  Yeah.

• 32:20Speaker 03

  And I, I was like.

• 32:22Speaker 01

  Mm-hmm.

• 32:23Speaker 03

Yeah, it gotta be coming from me soon.

• 32:26Speaker 03

It gotta be coming from me soon.

• 32:28Speaker 01

  Cooking.

• 32:29H. Foley?

  Yeah.

• 32:29Speaker 03

Yeah. Bunch of young, white girls who think I'm hot.

• 32:34Speaker 01

Well, you're gonna get them on this show, I tell you that. Our listeners, young, hot, white chicks, for sure.

• 32:41H. Foley?

On that same tip of the, uh, of the, of the green stuff, you just happened to mention on your way over that you had to run to the store. If you're at home, okay, and you're hanging out, whatever, a run to the 7-Eleven or the whatever, just to grab a couple snacks. Or if you're on the road, alright, and we pull off to get gas or whatever, I'm gonna run in and grab something. What, what, what, what's that looking like? Is like, is it Gatorade? Is it cashews? What, what's, what's the little treat?

• 33:07Speaker 03

Cashews, salted cashews, smoked almonds, a Celsius.

• 33:12Speaker 01

  Keeps it tight.

• 33:13H. Foley?

Anything on the sweet side? We do a gummy? We do a Skittle? We do anything like that?

• 33:17Speaker 03

  I try not to.

• 33:18H. Foley?

  But if you wanted to?

• 33:19Speaker 03

  Mr. Goodbar.

• 33:22Speaker 01

What? Gentlemen, I gotta give it to-

• 33:23H. Foley?

  A Mr. Goodbar?

• 33:25Speaker 03

  All day long.

• 33:26H. Foley?

  Really?

• 33:26Speaker 03

  Every day of the week.

• 33:28H. Foley?

  Whoa.

• 33:29Speaker 03

I would just get a Mr. Goodbar.

• 33:30H. Foley?

  Get the fuck outta here.

• 33:32Speaker 03

Something that I'm gonna really enjoy and I'mma, and I'mma enjoy it to the f- I'mma break every, um-

• 33:38H. Foley?

  A Mr. Goodbar?

• 33:40Speaker 03

  Yeah.

• 33:41H. Foley?

What about a Hershey's with almonds? Why don't we just get that?

• 33:43Speaker 03

  Mr. Goodbar.

• 33:44H. Foley?

Mr. Goodbar. Do you even know what that is?

• 33:47Speaker 01

Yeah, I, just from like the little ones from Halloween.

• 33:52Speaker 03

  Mr. Goodbar.

• 33:53H. Foley?

  No kidding?

• 33:54Speaker 03

  Yeah, I'm fifty, I'm fifty-one, I keep it classy.

• 33:56H. Foley?

I'm with ya, I'm with ya.

• 33:57Speaker 03

You know, if I'm, if I'm really just on one, like if I'm just, oh, I'm just gonna just say, I don't care nothing about running the day. Um, M&M's, no nuts.

• 34:07Speaker 01

  Regular M&M's.

• 34:08H. Foley?

  Yeah, straight up M&M's.

• 34:09Speaker 03

  Regular M&M's.

• 34:10H. Foley?

I'll give you that. Man, a Mr. Goodbar, shout out to ya.

• 34:12Speaker 01

Um, and, and back to the Capital Grill, what are you ordering at the Capital Grill? Do you have a go-to?

• 34:17Speaker 03

  Yes.

• 34:18Speaker 01

Cause I gotta be honest, I was, I was perusing, I didn't know you could pick up at the Capital Grill. I didn't know they did takeout.

• 34:23Speaker 03

  Oh, man.

• 34:24Speaker 01

So I was perusing the, the, the menu last night with my wife.

• 34:27H. Foley?

  Why?

• 34:29Speaker 01

Cause we were thinking, we got the baby, we can't go, no, not going there, I was gonna go, let's treat ourselves, let's do a nice takeout dinner, we've been eating like shit.

• 34:36H. Foley?

I thought you were just being a fat ass and just looking at-

• 34:38Speaker 01

No, that's how I get off.

• 34:39H. Foley?

  Looking at steakhouse menus.

• 34:41Speaker 01

You're doing a filet, you do the tomahawk, the ribeye, the strip?

• 34:43Speaker 03

  Sea bass.

• 34:44Speaker 01

  No kidding?

• 34:46Speaker 03

  Their sea bass is amazing.

• 34:49H. Foley?

  Really?

• 34:50Speaker 03

Caesar salad, sea bass, and a bowl of their clam chowder. Let me tell you why their clam chowder is the best in the United States.

• 35:00H. Foley?

I would have picked you for a bis guy.

• 35:01Speaker 03

Because I don't, I like lobster bis, but theirs is not really that good.

• 35:05H. Foley?

  Okay.

• 35:05Speaker 03

Um, it's okay, but it's, um-

• 35:10Speaker 03

The clam chowder, and this bothers me every place in the United States. Outside of Capital Grill. I don't eat, I don't eat pork. So, I don't understand why would you put bacon?

• 35:25Speaker 01

  Yeah.

• 35:26Speaker 03

In a clam chowder. I have no idea.

• 35:29H. Foley?

  Sure, okay.

• 35:30Speaker 03

Why it's happening. So, Capital Grill is the only restaurant that I know that does not put bacon in their clam chowder. And it is, it is ultimately delicious without it. And I'm like, I don't, my, cause my grandmother was like this, she said, you don't use meat to season vegetables. And you don't use meat, other meat to season seafood. You know what I'm saying? So, you say like, you can't cook if that's what you need. You know, it's like putting ketchup on something.

• 35:58H. Foley?

Sure, you don't season vegetables by adding meat. And you don't season.

• 36:03Speaker 03

  Seafood.

• 36:04H. Foley?

  By adding.

• 36:04Speaker 03

  Another.

• 36:05Speaker 01

Yeah, why would, yeah, why would you use bacon to season?

• 36:09Speaker 03

Why would you even need it? Like, you don't, you don't need a brisket, you don't need something else for a brisket.

• 36:15Speaker 01

You're throwing chicken in there to get it.

• 36:18H. Foley?

  Put some drumsticks around it.

• 36:20Speaker 03

  A little lamb on it.

• 36:23Speaker 03

It's a thing, you know, it, I, I've never, I don't have to put, like, I cook okra and tomatoes a lot. It's no meat in it. You know, I don't need meat to season beans. You know.

• 36:36Speaker 01

  That makes sense.

• 36:37H. Foley?

What do you do with the okra? Cause I've never really had it where I loved it.

• 36:40Speaker 03

Okay, so you have to saute it, um, first with a little vinegar to get the slime out if you don't like slime.

• 36:45H. Foley?

  That's what I don't like, the slime.

• 36:46Speaker 03

  Yeah.

• 36:47H. Foley?

Yeah, that throws me off. When I get it fried, it's always in there.

• 36:49Speaker 03

And the craziest thing is, you add, get fresh okra. Fresh okra, like, grown fresh okra outside of store, store bought okra. It's totally different. Like, the okra that's in my garden, it, the seeds are sweeter than the okra that's in the store.

• 37:08H. Foley?

  No kidding?

• 37:09Speaker 03

  One hundred percent.

• 37:10H. Foley?

I wanna see this garden so bad. I think about it, I swear to God, I think about it every, but once a month, I think about it.

• 37:15Speaker 01

You told us last time about the garden, yeah.

• 37:17Speaker 03

Yeah, I, I'm, and I clipped some okra the other day, and I was riding down the street, and I just stopped and gave him, I say, man, you like okra, you like for sure. I just gave him a pile, I'm like, this, this is what I can't take with me.

• 37:29Speaker 03

  Like an old farmer.

• 37:32Speaker 03

I have, I have, I can't wait till these figs are right.

• 37:36Speaker 01

  You're doing figs?

• 37:37Speaker 03

Yeah, I have two huge big trees.

• 37:41H. Foley?

Just saw a thing about them last night.

• 37:42Speaker 03

  Crazy.

• 37:43H. Foley?

  Yeah.

• 37:43Speaker 03

And they all, they just big and they all green right now. I just can't wait. And I, I just look at them and like, man, do y'all understand I'm gonna sit under this tree and just pick them off? Cause it's my tree.

• 37:55H. Foley?

  And eat them.

• 37:55Speaker 03

  Yeah, and eat them.

• 37:56H. Foley?

Did you ever do anything with the figs where you do like, uh, like a little bit of cheese in them and like it's like they're roasted or anything like that?

• 38:02Speaker 03

  Yes.

• 38:02H. Foley?

  Yeah, it's good.

• 38:03Speaker 03

  Better.

• 38:04Speaker 01

  Was he an asshole?

• 38:04H. Foley?

  Oh, yeah.

• 38:05Speaker 03

Better. Yeah, little better. And like, I just got back from Greece and.

• 38:11H. Foley?

  You did? Where were you?

• 38:12Speaker 03

  Um, Santorini.

• 38:13H. Foley?

  Get out of here!

• 38:14Speaker 03

  Yeah, Athens and, um, Crete.

• 38:17H. Foley?

Very nice. We did, uh, last year I did, uh, Athens and Santorini. Love it.

• 38:22Speaker 03

Santor, did you, did you take that, uh, sunset yacht ride?

• 38:26H. Foley?

Well, I swear to God, we were, um, so it's like a half moon like that. We were in an Airbnb right up here where all those boats pull up.

• 38:35Speaker 03

Yeah, so I, I saw where you was living. Man, let me.

• 38:38H. Foley?

There's a, there's a pool right there. We're literally right there, right on the edge.

• 38:41Speaker 03

So we took this five hour, cause at first I didn't wanna go and then I was like, ah, I'll go with my family. This was the best part of my trip.

• 38:49H. Foley?

  Yeah.

• 38:50Speaker 03

It was absolutely beautiful and I swam every place that they, they stopped.

• 38:55H. Foley?

  Mm-hmm.

• 38:56Speaker 03

  And so, you know, the.

• 38:57H. Foley?

Oh, you did that from island to island?

• 38:58Speaker 03

  From island to island.

• 39:00H. Foley?

  Yeah, we did do that.

• 39:01Speaker 03

You know, all the sulfur that's from the volcano.

• 39:03H. Foley?

  Mm-hmm.

• 39:05Speaker 03

They had to wash us off when we got, this is the only place they had to wash us off and all this orange sulfur was coming off me. I was like, yo, I'm losing my color.

• 39:16Speaker 01

  Not too much.

• 39:17H. Foley?

I knew we shouldn't have came down here.

• 39:19Speaker 01

Forget how to cook that okra.

• 39:20Speaker 03

Yeah, it was cra- they cook, they cook for you on the boat. Ah, man, it was. I had a amazing time.

• 39:28H. Foley?

Yeah, food's nuts, isn't it? Kip, let's talk about Quince.

• 39:31Speaker 01

  Shout out to Quince.

• 39:32H. Foley?

Why drop a fortune on basics when you don't have to? Quince has good stuff, high-quality fabrics, classic fits, and lightweight layers for warm weather, all at prices that make sense. Everything I've ordered from Quince has been nothing but absolutely fantastic and solid. I'm telling you that right now.

Ah, yes, they were kind enough to send us a little promo code. Kip got a little bit of gear. I gotta tell you, they got these pants, solid color, good, boom, everyday, comfortable pants that I wear them every day. And listen, I don't wash them every day. I wear them, I could wear them a week. You don't know, no one knows.

• 40:08H. Foley?

  It's that lightweight fabric.

• 40:09Speaker 01

It's fantastic. They got the closet staples you want to reach for over and over. Like I said, just classic, good pants and shirts. They had cotton sweaters, cashmere sweaters for just 50 bucks, breathable flowknit polos, and comfortable lightweight pants. Those are the ones I'm rocking that work for both work and we set weekend hangs and dressed up dinners. You can fall in, you change your shirt, you look like you're dressed up. You change your shirt, you look like you're dressed down. That's what you're doing. Keep it classic and cool with long-lasting staples from Quince. • 40:45Speaker 01

That's Q-U-I-N-C-E.com/garbage. You get free shipping and 365-day returns. Quince.com/garbage, do it.

• 41:19H. Foley?

Just like a fresh food guy.

• 41:20Speaker 03

  Oh.

• 41:20H. Foley?

Isn't it crazy when you taste a tomato that's never been in a refrigerator?

• 41:24Speaker 03

  Yep.

• 41:24H. Foley?

You're like, whoa, there's like, there's something about like, the sun is like, in there.

• 41:28Speaker 03

Yeah, it's crazy. And then my friends, I have nut friends calling me, we in Greece. Hey, hey, I got a question, got a question. What's up? Is it really called a Greek salad in Greece? I'm like, you are nut case, you're a nut case. Is it something different in the salad? No, it's the same, it's actually a Greek salad nut.

• 41:51Speaker 01

  So funny.

• 41:52H. Foley?

When you were on San Marino, did you go down to Halumi Bay where like, the, where the, where there's up where everything is?

• 41:58Speaker 03

  Yes.

• 41:59H. Foley?

But then, on the one part, you go down?

• 42:01Speaker 03

  And the donkeys, yes.

• 42:03H. Foley?

Isn't that crazy how that stuff is like, all built on the thing? It looks like something like Mesopotamia or something like that.

• 42:08Speaker 03

What did they, what did they tell me? It was like, how many steps it is either?

• 42:13H. Foley?

  Too many for me.

• 42:14Speaker 03

It's like, either you catch a ride, either you ride the donkey, or you take all the steps to go up.

• 42:23H. Foley?

  To get up.

• 42:25Speaker 03

And it's like, maybe seven, eight?

• 42:29H. Foley?

  It's a cliff, you're walking up a cliff.

• 42:30Speaker 03

  It's a crazy number.

• 42:32H. Foley?

But it was so cool how that was all, it looked like a set from like Disney, like how that was all built into the thing.

• 42:36Speaker 03

I knew it was, it was definitely pirates over there.

• 42:39H. Foley?

For sure, that's, yeah, it gives a pirate vibe.

• 42:41Speaker 03

  We went in these caves.

• 42:44Speaker 01

Sounded like one of your boys. Pirates here? Yeah. I got two questions. What's up with the salad? You got pirates?

• 42:51Speaker 03

And then they had the boats, they had the old, they had the old Viking pirate boats. Like, they, it was, it's, if you take the crew, they'll show you that it's pirates used to come there.

• 43:01H. Foley?

  Used to roll around.

• 43:02Speaker 01

  Sure, I know.

• 43:03Speaker 03

It was, it was, I had a good time. I was, I was listening to the man talk, I was like, oh, interesting, pirates.

• 43:11Speaker 01

I did that same trip, we went to Cabo San Lucas, I was like, oh, you know what I'm saying, pirates, yeah. Man, we love, a guy loves pirates.

• 43:18H. Foley?

  Yeah.

• 43:19Speaker 03

  For some reason.

• 43:19Speaker 01

The idea of being a pirate.

• 43:21Speaker 03

And you think that, oh, they, like, somehow you gonna find the treasure that they lost.

• 43:25H. Foley?

  Oh, man.

• 43:26Speaker 01

  I know.

• 43:27H. Foley?

You imagine being on the beach, you like, just like, ran it a couple of feet out in the water and you feel your toe on something, you pull it up and it's just an old?

• 43:32Speaker 01

  Sand crab, yikes.

• 43:34Speaker 03

  I found a ring.

• 43:35H. Foley?

  You did?

• 43:36Speaker 03

I found a ring. We, I swam, we were swimming and then me and my son, and I just, when I dove down, I saw something shine. I came back. Boom. I was like, eh, a ring. Nice ring too. I just gave it back to the people. I said, hey, somebody lost this.

• 43:52H. Foley?

  Oh, that's good.

• 43:53Speaker 03

It, it could have been lost for, I don't know how long, but it was a very nice.

• 43:57H. Foley?

Wow. Find out it was like Cleopatra's or something like that. Fuck!

• 44:02Speaker 03

  It was a nice ring.

• 44:03H. Foley?

  Shit was mine.

• 44:04Speaker 03

  It was nice.

• 44:05H. Foley?

  Okay.

• 44:05Speaker 01

That was the last vacation. What do you have, is there a vacation you have next that you're looking towards?

• 44:10Speaker 03

For the six weeks, we went to.

• 44:12Speaker 01

  What, six weeks?

• 44:12H. Foley?

  Six weeks?

• 44:13Speaker 03

So, no, we went to, to Greece for 14 days.

• 44:16Speaker 01

Okay. Oh, and you're six weeks off, you mean?

• 44:18Speaker 03

Yeah, then we came back and we, um, we went to my family reunion in Dallas and then.

• 44:25H. Foley?

  How was that?

• 44:26Speaker 03

  That was.

• 44:26H. Foley?

  How was the food there?

• 44:27Speaker 03

That was, the food was excellent. I paid for all of the food.

• 44:32Speaker 01

Okay, slipped that in. My man.

• 44:35H. Foley?

I thought it was gonna be home cooking.

• 44:36Speaker 03

This is why, this is why I was doing, it was, it was a definitely a good trip. And then we left there, went home for like two days and then we went, left and went to, um, Turks and Caicos for like 10 days. Like 10 days.

• 44:51Speaker 01

Where'd you stay in Turks and Caicos?

• 44:52Speaker 03

  Oh, South Bank.

• 44:53H. Foley?

Coming back from Greece, going right to the family reunion, there had to be a couple of cousins like, this motherfucker coming back from Greece.

• 44:59Speaker 01

You're sitting there talking about pirates and shit, they're fucking going, shut up, Ollie.

• 45:03Speaker 03

That's the craziest thing. My uncles and my cousins and my aunts are very, very happy for me.

• 45:10H. Foley?

  Gotcha, that's right.

• 45:11Speaker 03

  They, they extremely.

• 45:12H. Foley?

Cause I remember my cousins would come back from Disney, whatever, like, these motherfuckers going to Disney World.

• 45:16Speaker 03

Yeah, that, that's the one thing that we don't have, cause my cousins, anybody in my family know, my money is their money. If you need something, I'm, I'm straight. I just give, I'm not even the richest person in my family. It's my Uncle Donald who did not come.

• 45:33Speaker 01

  Uncle Don, yeah.

• 45:34Speaker 03

My Uncle Donald, I'd never get, my Uncle Don used to pass out $20 bills when, um, we were young. And he would come to summer, he'd just pass out $20 bills that my Uncle David. Would be in the line.

• 45:55Speaker 01

He's there with a fake mustache, trying to get a second.

• 45:57Speaker 03

  Man.

• 45:58Speaker 01

  That's funny.

• 45:59Speaker 03

But Turks and Caicos is, like, we go there a lot, though, you know, that's our.

• 46:05H. Foley?

  That's your spot, huh?

• 46:06Speaker 03

Yeah, like, South Bank is a fairly new resort. We was there when they first opened up, and then we came back, so they, they know our kids and everything.

• 46:17H. Foley?

  That's nice.

• 46:17Speaker 03

But when we go alone, it's, um, it's, um, what's that, Rock House is where we go.

• 46:24H. Foley?

You mean you go with, with no kids?

• 46:25Speaker 03

Yeah, with no kids. You go with your, you go with your wife, go to Rock House.

• 46:29Speaker 01

I went with my whole family. We stayed, what's like the big corporate one? Beaches.

• 46:33H. Foley?

  Hedonism.

• 46:34Speaker 03

Beaches? Oh, you went to the fam- Beaches is like the family.

• 46:36Speaker 01

Yeah, they were running out of food by lunchtime and shit. It was, dude, it was like a FEMA camp. It was fucking bad. They were running out of, we'd be like, I can get a, you know, vodka and, we were out of vodka. You're like, it's fucking noon.

• 46:47Speaker 03

Yeah, we, and we looked at Beaches, like, we was going somewhere, I'm like, I wonder what, what Beaches is about, but we've never.

• 46:53Speaker 01

Me starving, that's what you were looking up on the beach, it's me dying.

• 46:55Speaker 03

It, we never, we never stayed there, but it's, did you go to the Fish Fry?

• 47:00Speaker 01

  No.

• 47:01Speaker 03

Oh, so y'all, y'all stayed at Beaches?

• 47:03Speaker 01

We stayed at Beaches. We took a boat one day out, uh, like, yeah, what's that place that Drake hangs out at, that dock or whatever?

• 47:09Speaker 04

  Noah's Ark.

• 47:10Speaker 01

  What's it called?

• 47:11Speaker 04

  Noah's Ark.

• 47:11Speaker 01

Noah's Ark, I don't know. I went to see if Drake was there.

• 47:14H. Foley?

You were waiting to say that.

• 47:16Speaker 03

Man, you, it's, um, when you, when you in Turks and Caicos, these are the things that you have to do.

• 47:23H. Foley?

  Yeah, Kevin.

• 47:24Speaker 03

You have to go to the Conch Shack on Wednesday, which is a, which is a great restaurant.

• 47:34Speaker 01

We're moving different, dude. I was, I was drunk in the kiddie pool at fucking, by 2:00 P.M.

• 47:39Speaker 03

Rum punches, I understand. You go to, you go to Mr. Gruppa for lunch, and then on Thursday, you go to the Fish Fry. I'm surprised that y'all didn't go, because this is not like, I'm saying this, this is a thing that everybody on the island talks about the fish, because.

• 47:59H. Foley?

I've never been to a Fish Fry.

• 48:00Speaker 03

Everybody's there, it's like they have. Um, a booth with almost every restaurant on the island. That's in, in this camp and then they have a, a main stage. They have performers on the main stage and then they have this crazy band. Maybe like, I, I'mma say 75 people in this band. And it is, it's crazy. And, and it's a, it's a really, really good time.

• 48:27H. Foley?

Conk fritters, they got conk fritters down there?

• 48:29Speaker 03

Oh, man, they got conk, everything, crack conk, conk on the shell, conk salad, conk fritters, conk, everything.

• 48:36Speaker 01

Now, this, this is a, this is a, this is a Turks and Caicos deep cut, cause they don't have like any sort of TSA pre-check or anything down there. Do you pay for that service that comes and gets you?

• 48:45Speaker 03

I pay for the, the, the fast pass.

• 48:47H. Foley?

Wait, what do you, they don't have what?

• 48:49Speaker 01

That is some, they come and pick you up and like escalate. It is some fucking, you move presidential down there, you, it feels.

• 48:56H. Foley?

You mean, there's no, they're setting it again, there's?

• 48:57Speaker 01

There's no, there's, they call it the fast pass or something.

• 49:00Speaker 03

  It's fast pass.

• 49:00Speaker 01

There's, it's like Disney world. There's no kind of preferential boarding regardless of

• 49:06H. Foley?

  At the airport.

• 49:07Speaker 01

What a status you are, what class of ticket, nothing.

• 49:11Speaker 01

Down there, it's like, it's like last chopper out of Nam. That airport needs a little fucking update.

• 49:16Speaker 03

You got pre-check on your ticket for no apparent reason.

• 49:20Speaker 01

  You got nothing.

• 49:21Speaker 03

  TSA pre-check means nothing.

• 49:23Speaker 01

It means dick, it ain't fucking, hell, they ain't never seen you, they ain't never heard you, take your shoes off to open your, everything.

• 49:29Speaker 03

Everything, you gotta get that, you gotta get the fast.

• 49:32Speaker 01

And you show up, it's like, it's literally like, you know, they're evacuating the island, it's, it's, it's thousands of people. There's no lines, it's fucking crazy, dude. It's crazy.

• 49:43Speaker 03

Turks, yeah, Turks Airport is insane.

• 49:45Speaker 01

  It's wild, wild.

• 49:47Speaker 03

  They lounge.

• 49:48Speaker 01

It's like a Greyhound bus station.

• 49:50Speaker 03

They lounge is the worst lounge.

• 49:52Speaker 01

  It's crazy.

• 49:53Speaker 03

Ever, they have a party lounge there and it's like, I look, I just looked in, I was like, it's just chairs.

• 49:59Speaker 01

  It is.

• 50:01Speaker 03

It's like, you just waiting to get a passport or something, it's just chairs.

• 50:04Speaker 01

  It's like the DMV.

• 50:05Speaker 03

It's, I'm like, yo, we not paying for that, so you can go upstairs where they have a lounge up there, the Sky Lounge. You just order your stuff and they put it in a little plastic container and bring it in.

• 50:14Speaker 01

  Yeah.

• 50:15Speaker 03

Oh, but that downstairs lounge, oh, you wasting your time. Unless you wanna be secluded, if you wanna know what prison is like, just go in there and just sit with your luggage.

• 50:27Speaker 03

It's like they, you know, like you've seen that, that show Customs, like when somebody gets busted.

• 50:31H. Foley?

  Yeah, I love that.

• 50:32Speaker 03

It's like you in there. It's crazy town.

• 50:35H. Foley?

  I love that.

• 50:37Speaker 01

But they call, so you, it's pretty inexpensive. It's not, it's not crazy money. Like a hundred bucks a person or something like that. Maybe more. I don't know.

• 50:45Speaker 03

  For Fastpass.

• 50:45Speaker 01

For Fastpass, they come, they pick you up at your hotel. They did, they did us.

• 50:50Speaker 03

  Yeah.

• 50:50Speaker 01

They, and they, you drive to the airport, they drop you off, they walk you through security. Like whoop, whoop, whoop, right past the line.

• 50:59H. Foley?

  Put you right in there?

• 50:59Speaker 01

  It's great.

• 51:00Speaker 03

  Get you right in there.

• 51:01H. Foley?

You get on the, you get on that plane outside?

• 51:03Speaker 01

  Yeah.

• 51:03Speaker 03

Yep, walk on that plane outside.

• 51:05H. Foley?

Nothing like getting on a plane outside.

• 51:07Speaker 01

Yeah, it was hot as shit sometimes.

• 51:08H. Foley?

I feel like you're on vacation.

• 51:09Speaker 03

  It's hot.

• 51:09Speaker 01

And feel that engine. They cut, they cut that engine on.

• 51:12H. Foley?

I feel like I'm in Magnum or something like that. I swear to God, when I'm getting on that plane. I feel like I should have like a duffel bag of Coke or something on me when I'm getting on one of those.

• 51:20Speaker 03

  And Greece is like that.

• 51:21H. Foley?

Yeah, Greece is like that. We, we, we took the, uh, the ferry from Athens to, uh, Santorini, that long ass one.

• 51:28Speaker 03

  You took the ferry.

• 51:29H. Foley?

  I did.

• 51:29Speaker 03

  Yep.

• 51:30H. Foley?

  The real long, the.

• 51:31Speaker 03

Yep, I took, we took the ferry from Crete to, uh, Santorini.

• 51:34H. Foley?

Okay, we, we got the room and everything. I was too scared because there was no direct flights from New York to Santorini. And the flights from Athens that day or whatever, from Athens to Santorini, they were like, you're gonna die airlines.

• 51:50Speaker 03

  No, it's a, it's a pretty good airline.

• 51:52H. Foley?

Yeah, they were, they were the ones with, they were propeller planes.

• 51:55Speaker 03

Agent, Argentina, agent, it's something to that.

• 51:57H. Foley?

Agent, I'm not getting on it.

• 51:58Speaker 03

  Yeah, it, it.

• 51:59H. Foley?

  They were a little.

• 52:00Speaker 03

They had a, they had a regular, they, this had a regular plane. I saw the ones that you were talking about.

• 52:04H. Foley?

  Yeah, fuck that.

• 52:05Speaker 03

I was like, oh, the, the Fantasy Island plane.

• 52:07H. Foley?

Yeah, yeah, I'm not getting on that. When we're circling the island, waiting, no way. I wasn't doing it. So I was like, let's take the eight hours. And it was cool because every time we got close to an island, you know, they would drop people off. You went out, you looked at it, whatever. It was nice. You went back in the room, hung out, and then, and then we finally got there.

• 52:24Speaker 03

Yo, so on that ferry, right, this is the craziest thing.

• 52:27H. Foley?

They're like cruise ships. How crazy is the size of those things?

• 52:30Speaker 03

  They're nice.

• 52:32H. Foley?

  Yeah.

• 52:32Speaker 03

  The, the seats are cool.

• 52:33H. Foley?

  Crazy.

• 52:35Speaker 03

But if I tell you when, when it's time for you to get off that damn ferry, get your ass off. Like you better be moving and they letting you know, yo, we leaving in six minutes.

• 52:48H. Foley?

  Yeah, it's chaos.

• 52:49Speaker 03

Don't go to the bathroom or your ass would be in another island.

• 52:52H. Foley?

And your luggage is like sitting right there like next to like a, like an old car.

• 52:56Speaker 03

Yeah, they got it roped off and they got your, where you, where you going? Yo, go, you going here? Get your luggage, get your ass off.

• 53:04H. Foley?

  It's crazy.

• 53:04Speaker 03

And they, and they kept like six minutes to leaving. Like, like damn, I just got up.

• 53:11H. Foley?

  You gotta be moving.

• 53:12Speaker 03

  Gotta be moving.

• 53:13H. Foley?

  That's funny.

• 53:14Speaker 01

  Damn.

• 53:15H. Foley?

Um, I got a couple, couple cues here for you.

• 53:18Speaker 03

  Yeah.

• 53:18H. Foley?

Uh, do you ever answer a number that you don't know?

• 53:22Speaker 03

  All the time.

• 53:23Speaker 01

  Really?

• 53:24H. Foley?

When you answer that number, do you use a slightly different voice?

• 53:28Speaker 03

No, straight up. I, I, I, I answer unknown numbers. All like, I'm not letting nobody restrict me from using my damn phone. Like it's, it's, it's a, it's just, it's a man thing to me. I'm like, yo.

• 53:42Speaker 01

  Really?

• 53:42Speaker 03

  I don't care who calling.

• 53:43Speaker 01

  It's your phone.

• 53:44H. Foley?

What if it's like a courtesy caller, like somebody trying to get you?

• 53:46Speaker 03

They, they, they say scam. Or if somebody, if somebody calling, they from somewhere and we like to, man, I want that shit. And then I just hang up. Like you can't call back. I just told you, I, I know your number now. But un, man, listen.

• 54:01H. Foley?

  I don't, I don't want that shit.

• 54:03Speaker 03

You call me from a number unknown and watch me answer that phone. Hello? And like, and, and I'm answering very grimly.

• 54:11Speaker 01

Like an upset customer service, like I'm calling Comcast or some shit.

• 54:14Speaker 03

Because, um, it's, it's my phone and I'm not letting nobody.

• 54:19Speaker 01

  I like that logic.

• 54:20Speaker 03

I'm not letting nobody restrict me.

• 54:21Speaker 01

Dictate that you were gonna, I'm not, yeah.

• 54:23Speaker 03

Watch me, watch me call and get, make him nervous. No, I'm like, no.

• 54:26H. Foley?

  Give me the hello again.

• 54:27Speaker 03

  Hello?

• 54:31Speaker 03

Fuck is this? That's what it sound like that's coming next.

• 54:36Speaker 03

You know, I don't know everybody's number. And then so I'm like, yo, whoever this is, what's up? You know, if you get the what's up, that mean I was asleep. And I was like, yo, what's up? And and it doesn't, it don't even sound like whatever you want to sell me. He's like, nah, call you back later.

• 54:54Speaker 03

Yeah. I, yeah, I answer the number. I, I answer.

• 54:58Speaker 01

  Okay.

• 54:59Speaker 03

And test me on it in a month. She called me from a regular number. He's like, yup, he damn sure did answer. I, I hung up and I knew who it was.

• 55:06H. Foley?

  I like it.

• 55:07Speaker 01

That's great. Uh, all right. Have you ever played pickleball?

• 55:11Speaker 03

No, my, um, one of my daughters play pickleball. I bought the, I bought all the stuff for her, but I don't play. It's, it seems irritating. It just seems fucking irritating.

• 55:21Speaker 01

  Fair enough.

• 55:22Speaker 03

Tennis doesn't have the same sound as pickleball.

• 55:25Speaker 01

  Yeah.

• 55:26Speaker 03

Uh, like ping pong, I can take ping pong.

• 55:29Speaker 01

  I'm right there with you.

• 55:30Speaker 03

Bad, but pickleball is like, yo, what, what, what fucking sound?

• 55:34Speaker 01

  It feels childish to me.

• 55:36H. Foley?

Chelsea loves it. He's pickleball champ.

• 55:38Speaker 01

  Paddle, paddle.

• 55:39H. Foley?

  Paddle, is that different?

• 55:40Speaker 01

  Paddle's rich European shit.

• 55:41H. Foley?

  Is it?

• 55:42Speaker 01

  Paddle.

• 55:42H. Foley?

I thought he was in pickleball for a minute.

• 55:44Speaker 01

Yeah, until he found out, until he upgraded way after he sold out the garden and started playing fucking paddle.

• 55:50H. Foley?

  Playing highlight next?

• 55:51Speaker 01

With those Europeans with the high shorts. I see you out there.

• 55:54Speaker 03

Yeah, what is this, what is this sport? Because I, it's like a ra, it's like a

• 55:59H. Foley?

  That's highlight.

• 55:59Speaker 01

  Highlight.

• 56:00H. Foley?

  Yeah.

• 56:00Speaker 03

And you catch the ball off the wall or you throw it out?

• 56:02H. Foley?

I don't understand. I just seen the beginning of Miami Vice. I don't know exactly what it is.

• 56:05Speaker 03

I don't know what that is.

• 56:06Speaker 01

They were playing that down there and they were rigging, the mob was rigging the games.

• 56:10H. Foley?

  Yeah.

• 56:10Speaker 01

The highlight, that was like a Nah, I think that, that's when they, when they up game called for. They were down there rigging the games. I don't know.

• 56:16Speaker 03

  Oh, what? Base, like baseball?

• 56:17Speaker 01

  Like, yeah, I don't know.

• 56:18H. Foley?

I think like even worse. I think like they owned it. They owned the teams and they were setting it all up.

• 56:23Speaker 03

So it's two people that play against each other, right?

• 56:25H. Foley?

  Something like that.

• 56:26Speaker 03

  It's some weird shit.

• 56:27H. Foley?

They wear like polo hats. I don't get it.

• 56:29Speaker 01

  I, that's

• 56:30Speaker 03

  Face masks or something like.

• 56:32H. Foley?

That thing looks like it hurt if it hit you now.

• 56:34Speaker 03

  Small football helmet.

• 56:35H. Foley?

Yeah. Um, Wheel of Fortune or Jeopardy?

• 56:40Speaker 03

  Jeopardy.

• 56:41H. Foley?

  Really? Gentlemen.

• 56:42Speaker 01

Are there currently any avocados at your house?

• 56:46Speaker 03

  Yeah, probably some avocados there.

• 56:48Speaker 01

  Okay.

• 56:48H. Foley?

Are there any cereal boxes on top of your refrigerator?

• 56:51Speaker 03

  Not at all.

• 56:51Speaker 01

  Yeah, I couldn't picture that.

• 56:53H. Foley?

  Pantry?

• 56:53Speaker 03

In the pantry, yeah, that's like.

• 56:56Speaker 01

Can you walk into your pantry?

• 56:58Speaker 03

  Yes.

• 56:59Speaker 01

  Pretty good.

• 57:00Speaker 03

You put the cereal in a, in a Tupperware.

• 57:03Speaker 01

  Really?

• 57:03Speaker 03

And then you put it up.

• 57:04H. Foley?

  You do?

• 57:05Speaker 03

  Yeah.

• 57:05H. Foley?

Whoa, that's like sitcom shit. That's crazy.

• 57:07Speaker 03

Yeah, no cereal box on top of refrigerator.

• 57:10H. Foley?

What are we looking at in there? What's the, what's the, what's the variety?

• 57:13Speaker 03

Uh, um, it's gonna be Fruit Loops.

• 57:16H. Foley?

  Really?

• 57:17Speaker 03

Um, what's the Cheerios, Honey Nut Cheerios, Raisin Bran, Raisin, uh, Honey Nut Raisin Bran.

• 57:24H. Foley?

  Hmm.

• 57:25Speaker 03

And, um, some weird cereal that they eat, Captain Crunch or something like that.

• 57:30H. Foley?

Okay, man, that's a fucking, whoo.

• 57:33Speaker 01

  It's a pretty good lineup.

• 57:34H. Foley?

Top five right there. That's alright.

• 57:36Speaker 03

  And was crazy.

• 57:38H. Foley?

Cause a Raisin Bran every once in a while ain't too shabby.

• 57:40Speaker 03

  Yeah, cereal is like

• 57:44Speaker 03

the rush food, like the rush. If, if they're eating cereal, that means nobody got up.

• 57:52Speaker 01

  They're behind you.

• 57:53H. Foley?

  Gotcha.

• 57:53Speaker 03

Yeah, it's about, yeah, we behind eight.

• 57:55H. Foley?

  We gotta make some cereal.

• 57:56Speaker 03

Yeah, and, and the cereal, we throw cereal away a lot.

• 58:01H. Foley?

  Just cause.

• 58:01Speaker 03

Because, because, you know, it's mostly beef bacon, biscuits, eggs, grits, like we gonna get up.

• 58:08Speaker 01

  In the morning?

• 58:08Speaker 03

  In the morning, hash brown.

• 58:09H. Foley?

Biscuits are a, a regular thing?

• 58:11Speaker 03

  Yeah, biscuits are a regular.

• 58:12H. Foley?

  Homemade biscuits?

• 58:13Speaker 03

  Nah, the.

• 58:14H. Foley?

  Does Pillsbury?

• 58:15Speaker 03

  Yeah, the Pillsbury joints.

• 58:16H. Foley?

  No kidding, still, no kidding.

• 58:18Speaker 03

  Regular thing.

• 58:19H. Foley?

What about the snacks in there, just out of curiosity, since you're talking about the.

• 58:22Speaker 03

  Oh, you know what's crazy.

• 58:23H. Foley?

Would I be, would I be, I, I would walk in?

• 58:26Speaker 03

You would not, yeah, you probably like the snacks. It's, it's, it's some nice chip, chip selection in there. But the thing that does not stay long is seaweed.

• 58:38H. Foley?

  The seaweed crisps?

• 58:40Speaker 03

  Aw, man.

• 58:40H. Foley?

Yeah, we use them a lot at the house. Using those as a, as a receptacle for whatever you're eating? Putting those in?

• 58:47Speaker 03

  No, my, this is a...

• 58:50H. Foley?

They chip them up, just eat them?

• 58:51Speaker 03

They just eat, man, these girls are, they go through them joints.

• 58:55H. Foley?

You can crush a pack of them, it's like nothing.

• 58:57Speaker 03

Like, yeah, like, together, like, I've seen them. Eat all of them together, like, it's, it's crazy, seaweed is insane.

• 59:04H. Foley?

  Yeah.

• 59:05Speaker 03

  It goes very fast.

• 59:06H. Foley?

Yeah, where were those things, I'm sure they were around, I just didn't know about them.

• 59:09Speaker 03

  I, I don't think they, I don't think they...

• 59:10Speaker 01

I mean, if you were eating seaweed fifteen years ago, you were...

• 59:13H. Foley?

But at the house, if we make like, i- i- if we make like salmon and some rice or something like that? Use those as the little things.

• 59:20Speaker 03

Yeah, man, seaweed, the first time I really, really got into seaweed, I was going to Korea, and I was on Korean Airlines. I, I've been to Korea ten times.

• 59:30Speaker 01

  Jesus, what?

• 59:32Speaker 03

And most of the times, the promoters don't realize that I've accepted the gig because of the airline. They have the best seaweed soup.

• 59:41H. Foley?

  Really?

• 59:41Speaker 03

  On Korean Airlines.

• 59:42Speaker 01

Going to seaweed for, just going to Korea for soup?

• 59:45Speaker 03

In the business, like, they, it's, they seaweed soup gang on that airline. Their food on the, on Korean Airlines is...

• 59:51Speaker 01

Asian, a lot of Asian, Singapore's really good, I think, is KLM Asian, I don't know.

• 59:56Speaker 03

  Yeah, KLM.

• 59:57Speaker 01

Some of them are made, like, it's like, they put the rest of them, they put American Airlines, shame.

• 1:00:01Speaker 03

  Oh, for shit show.

• 1:00:03H. Foley?

What about the burger on Delta?

• 1:00:05Speaker 01

  Burger on Delta's alright.

• 1:00:06H. Foley?

  Pretty good.

• 1:00:07Speaker 01

  You fly, you fly Delta?

• 1:00:09Speaker 03

  I, I...

• 1:00:10H. Foley?

I was looking like I was crazy.

• 1:00:11Speaker 03

  I'm flying that.

• 1:00:12Speaker 01

They about to slap the shit out of you.

• 1:00:14Speaker 03

Like, when we went to Greece, Greece, the, the international food was pretty good.

• 1:00:20H. Foley?

  On the flight?

• 1:00:21Speaker 01

They have, they, they upgrade, the, the American airline, like, not Ameri-, but the United States Airlines.

• 1:00:26Speaker 03

  You know...

• 1:00:27Speaker 01

Beef it up for the, for the international flight.

• 1:00:28Speaker 03

I fly Southwest a lot, and I didn't know, like, the longer flights, they give you, I think, they should just give you the Oreos on all of the damn flights, they just get, it's two Oreos in the pack, like, why are you holding them out for a long flight?

• 1:00:44Speaker 01

You're flying Houston to Dallas, you don't need Oreos, you're gonna be landing in twenty minutes.

• 1:00:47Speaker 03

You're giving me them nasty ass Teddy Grahams that you went to.

• 1:00:50Speaker 01

They give Teddy Grahams out, you're gonna start flying Southwest.

• 1:00:52H. Foley?

  No, they don't.

• 1:00:53Speaker 03

They, they, they, I'm telling you some...

• 1:00:54H. Foley?

  They give you Teddy Grahams?

• 1:00:56Speaker 03

They give you a, these little Graham, they awful too. They have a terrible, I, I, I, I'm always doing it, eh, no, but, um...

• 1:01:03H. Foley?

  Beef flavored Teddy Grahams?

• 1:01:05Speaker 03

They give, um, these garlic sticks.

• 1:01:08Speaker 01

I don't even, that does not sound appetizing.

• 1:01:11Speaker 03

Like a pretzel, pretzel type, they decent. But those, those damn grams, yo, they, they need, they need, man, whoever made that damn decision. Man, look.

• 1:01:23H. Foley?

  I'll have the seaweed soup.

• 1:01:24Speaker 03

Man, this peanut allergy shit is.

• 1:01:26Speaker 01

  That's fucking you up.

• 1:01:27Speaker 03

Man, but I'm on there with, I'm on there with cashews and all type of nuts. I don't give a damn who's sitting next to me. Your ass is swollen.

• 1:01:35Speaker 01

I think about that a lot, too, yeah.

• 1:01:37H. Foley?

  Yeah.

• 1:01:37Speaker 03

I come on there with the, with the tuna, with the tuna packs.

• 1:01:40H. Foley?

  No, you don't.

• 1:01:41Speaker 03

  Oh, yes, I do.

• 1:01:42H. Foley?

  What?

• 1:01:42Speaker 01

  Are you fucking kidding me?

• 1:01:43H. Foley?

  You're kidding me?

• 1:01:44Speaker 03

I bring the tuna packs on.

• 1:01:45Speaker 01

I'd call the air marshal on you. I'd say you were a fucking terrorist.

• 1:01:48Speaker 03

  And I crush up Fritos.

• 1:01:50Speaker 01

  Nuh-uh.

• 1:01:51Speaker 03

And I put them in the, in the tuna pack.

• 1:01:52H. Foley?

  I like the move.

• 1:01:53Speaker 03

  Yeah.

• 1:01:54Speaker 01

  Is that jail stuff?

• 1:01:54H. Foley?

  Put on the plane?

• 1:01:55Speaker 03

Nah, that's, we ain't no damn tuna packs. We had cans of tuna. That's white people shit that I learned.

• 1:02:01Speaker 01

Oh, I mean, I'm just saying you're making adjustments now that you have.

• 1:02:04H. Foley?

Oh, you bring, you bring the pouches?

• 1:02:06Speaker 03

  I bring the pouches.

• 1:02:07H. Foley?

Oh, and you put it in the pouch?

• 1:02:09Speaker 03

And I, I crushed the Fritos up and put them in the pouch.

• 1:02:12H. Foley?

  Huh.

• 1:02:12Speaker 03

Cause it's, the tuna is not seasoned. I don't have the mayonnaise and all the stuff to put in it, but it's just in the pouch. So I just, whatever chips, whether it's Doritos, whatever, cause I'm, I'm not gonna keep going back and forth. But I'm just gonna crush them.

• 1:02:25Speaker 01

But that's what everybody, all of my friends that have been in jail have said that's what they did. They would chop up all the chips and mush it all together and make cheechy.

• 1:02:35Speaker 01

No? I'm about to get you fucking.

• 1:02:37Speaker 03

That's, that's, they, they was weird as hell.

• 1:02:43Speaker 03

If you, if you were making a spread, you don't, okay, a spread is different. You put, a spread consists of noodles, you know what I'm saying? And if you put the chips in, you put the chips in there, that's last. You know what I'm saying? Because the chips gonna get soggy when you doing.

• 1:03:02H. Foley?

  That's like a.

• 1:03:03Speaker 01

I think he's mad at my order of operations here.

• 1:03:05Speaker 03

Yeah, it's like, nood, and then it's, it's different types of spreads. Like it's, it's not one spread. Uh, this, this is the thing about people who, um, been incarcerated. Sometimes they make up shit that they didn't do.

• 1:03:23Speaker 01

Call my boys pussies, I respect it.

• 1:03:26Speaker 03

Like the process, you know, you didn't, you didn't do it. And then if you, especially if you, like, I've, I've made a spread when I got out and it was fucking horrible.

• 1:03:39Speaker 03

Because, you know why? Because in prison, the shit don't cook all the way. So it has a, a, a, a certain type of continuity to it, cause it doesn't cook all. And your noodles gonna cook all the way. So it doesn't, it doesn't even taste the same.

• 1:03:54Speaker 01

Doesn't make, yeah, it's not the same product.

• 1:03:55Speaker 03

So, a spread, if, if, say if you didn't eat tuna, you didn't eat tuna. So, cause then they, we, if you had tuna, you wasn't putting your tuna in a spread. You was, that's for mackerel. That's why they, the, the, the can of tuna is this big. The can of Jack Mack is this big. So you would use the mackerel for that, mackerel and sardines for a seafood spread. But a.

• 1:04:22Speaker 01

How was that, was that any good?

• 1:04:24Speaker 03

It depends on who made it. That's the, that's the thing, cause everybody can't, everybody can't spread. What you did for, and then people who spread it, it was a, say all three of us eating together. I got the Jack Mack, you got the, um, the soup, he has the, he has the chips and the bread.

• 1:04:44Speaker 01

  Hard man.

• 1:04:45Speaker 03

So, the bread, what we gonna do is, I'm gonna make this up and we gonna put it on the bread and make sandwiches.

• 1:04:52Speaker 01

  Right.

• 1:04:52Speaker 03

And, and split the sandwich in half, because you're trying to feed multiple people, y'all combining. But what I'm doing in a cell by myself, whatever concoction I'm in there doing, is my goofy ass shit.

• 1:05:07Speaker 01

  Not for the potluck.

• 1:05:08Speaker 03

Yeah, so the thing about a spread, right? That's community thing. The thing about making a soup, if you're, it depends on what you're doing this for. You know, it was a, it was a base thing. If I'm trying to get bigger, I'm trying to get bigger, I'm adding a bunch of stuff to it, to, to get full and get bigger. If I'm, like me, I could just eat soup and a can of chili.

• 1:05:35Speaker 03

Em saying, and just put the chili in my, on my thing, and maybe put some crackers on the top.

• 1:05:41Speaker 01

You don't need to make the spread and do all that, yeah.

• 1:05:43Speaker 03

I don't need to make the spread, cause I'm eating by myself. Or I can just make the chili, one, one soup, em saying, and I'm, and I'm done. I'm not adding peanut butter and all the rest of this shit, cause I'm, I'm not lifting weight, but like, I'm like, I don't need to get bigger. What the fuck I'm trying to get bigger for, em saying, but.

• 1:06:03Speaker 01

  Peanut butter.

• 1:06:03Speaker 03

And then Jack Mack, like, my, my man Brown, I did a story about Brown and Win. Big Brown would just eat Jack Mack straight out the can. The bones and everything, just straight out the can, and he, yeah, Big Brown, like, that's like.

• 1:06:21Speaker 03

And then he would drink the juice. I never drank that damn macaroni juice, I've always poured it out, but if you, man.

• 1:06:30Speaker 01

That's gonna bother me for weeks.

• 1:06:32Speaker 03

Yeah, that Jack, but they, they sell Jack Mack in the, in the stores. People, and it's all sorts of things that, that get connected to prison that, and it, and I, and I tell people, it depends on your era as well. Your, like, I would never speak about how the seventies did it, or the eighties, I wasn't there in the seventies, eighties, I wasn't in the early nineties. Then, whatever happened in two thousands, like, why, why was that? They didn't have, we had cans. Somewhere two thousand five, two thousand three, or something like that, they got rid of cans.

• 1:07:10Speaker 01

  Cans.

• 1:07:11Speaker 03

So they had these pouches. And they got rid of the cans, cause we was using the cans for weapons. You know what I'm saying, so.

• 1:07:18Speaker 01

  Smart.

• 1:07:19Speaker 03

  It's just like.

• 1:07:19Speaker 01

Tuna fish cans will cut ya.

• 1:07:21Speaker 03

  No, no, no.

• 1:07:22Speaker 01

  No?

• 1:07:23Speaker 03

No, let me, let me tell you.

• 1:07:26Speaker 01

Man, I'm really learning this episode.

• 1:07:28Speaker 03

You take a tuna fish can, you take your, you take your socks off, you double your socks up, and you slip that can in your sock, and you tie a knot. Em saying, two knots, one to keep the can down, and one to put in your hand. So, a tuna fish can in a, in a sock, will have you in a wheelchair.

• 1:07:49Speaker 01

  Yeah.

• 1:07:50Speaker 03

And have you in a wheelchair, real, I'm talking about, real easy, like, real easy. And like, first you was talking shit, and all of a sudden you just, ugh.

• 1:08:00Speaker 01

That would happen to me so bad. I think I'm vibing with everybody. I step over. I start doing pretty well, step over the line.

• 1:08:06H. Foley?

Next thing you know, you get Jack Mack.

• 1:08:08Speaker 01

Fucking locking his sock, I'm out.

• 1:08:09Speaker 03

The Jack Mack can is even worse.

• 1:08:13Speaker 03

So now, we had these cans of beef, right? This was a weapon of choice for me.

• 1:08:22Speaker 03

If you take the top of the beef can off, and you take, once again, your socks, and you bend it, and you put your hand, keep your hand in your socks, so all this is just jagged.

• 1:08:33Speaker 01

  Jagged edge.

• 1:08:34Speaker 03

So, when I slice you, you open. You know what I'm saying? So they got rid of all those. Now everything came in soft packs, so you can put a thousand soft packs in a sock.

• 1:08:45Speaker 01

And need two tons of fish.

• 1:08:46Speaker 03

And have the new Pillow Fight. I see that on ESPN, Pillow Fight Champion. Like, this is some dumb shit.

• 1:08:55Speaker 03

They just making up sports. The Slippery Step Champion.

• 1:09:00H. Foley?

Slippery Step. They're running up the log.

• 1:09:03Speaker 03

Yeah, have you seen, no, have you seen the new thing? It's like a thing of steps. And they got like oil on the steps, and you gotta make it up, people throwing balls at you.

• 1:09:12H. Foley?

Yes, I know what you're talking about.

• 1:09:13Speaker 03

  It is the slippery.

• 1:09:14H. Foley?

  Like wipeout.

• 1:09:15Speaker 03

It was crazy. I am the Slippery Champion. I was like, you fucking stupid.

• 1:09:21Speaker 01

Shoved in a locker. We gotta wrap it up, gang.

• 1:09:25H. Foley?

Man, what a fun one. Ali, thank you so much. It is always a pleasure.

• 1:09:28Speaker 03

• 1:09:40Speaker 01

• 1:09:52Speaker 03
