Kylie & Robert Irwin on Feeding Dad's Crocodiles, Spicy DWTS Moments & Breastfeeding Biters | Ep. 49

Kylie’s back with her Season 1 Finale episode of Not Gonna Lie brought to you by Hess! She starts things off by reacting to the latest place she has NO business being: on a billboard in Times Square (3:40)! NYC-based Real Ones, make sure to tag us in your photos with NGL. This then leads us perfectly into “Places Kylie Has *Some* Business Being” to talk about taking the girls to see Uncle Trav play at his home stadium for the first time (5:10)! Then, in “Can I Be Honest?” Kylie gets honest about Santa Claus (don’t worry, not THAT honest) and shares whether or not Jason has dressed up as Santa and her parenting hack that involves calling Santa directly… You're welcome, Real One moms & dads (7:22)! After that, Kylie breaks down some of her favorite viral videos in “Doomscroll of the Week,” which includes her honest take on Kate Winslet’s comments about embracing aging (12:13), as well as how her breastfeeding weaning journey is going with Finnie (16:14). Spoiler: NOT GREAT. Also, in honor of the Season Finale, Kylie reflects on some of the funniest moments from her first season of the show by taking a look at her “NGL Wrapped” report that Queen Emma definitely totally didn’t completely make up herself… (20:52) Kylie is overjoyed to be joined by wildlife conservationist, Dancing with the Stars Champion, Bindi’s brother and Terri & Steve’s son: Robert Irwin (30:05)! Kylie surprises Robert with the perfect outfit change and asks him all about the most viral moments from his winning season of Dancing with the Stars (32:55). Robert reveals his favorite dance, the most emotional moments, and the spiciest ones (42:09). Robert and Kylie also talk about the keys to being an incredible “funcle” as she loves the way Uncle Trav plays with the girls, as well as the phenomenon that is “aunt-uncle” privilege in their family (47:25). Robert reveals the heartwarming story behind his Cinderella TikTok with his niece Grace (44:21), and also shares what the two of them get up to together at Australia Zoo. Speaking of Australia Zoo, Robert tells Kylie about how old he was when he first fed the crocodiles that his dad saved (55:34), and what it was like literally growing up with Jenny the Burmese Python (58:32)! Robert also gives Kylie some very cool fun facts about otters to share with Travis next time they get together (01:02:03). Kylie also applauds Robert for his advocacy for women’s health, particularly when it comes to his sister Bindi and her battle with endometriosis (01:03:46). Robert speaks on the importance of men and women speaking up for women’s health and also shares why he thinks he has such an incredible bond with Bindi. Not gonna lie, we just got some snow and it was a good covering for the first time in a couple of years. Nothing gets me excited about some winter weather like the prospect of a little kid in a snowsuit. There is something so captivating about them trying to walk while also not being able to move. Why is it so cute? Let's get this podcast started. Welcome back to Not Gonna Lie A Wave Original, driven by the Hess toy truck. I'm your host Kylie Kelce, firm believer in not doing anything to try and summon a

• 0:45Kylie Kelce?

snow day because I'm afraid I'm gonna jinx it. Yeah, that's right, I'm not wearing my PJs inside out, backwards, putting things under my pillow. It won't be me. Just gotta let the universe do its thing. My husband made me record a Christmas duet one time. Don't look it up. Do not look it up. It's a beautiful song written by a beautiful soul. Shout out to Beeve. Don't look it up. I'm so serious. Stop making that shit viral on TikTok. Cut it out. And I can't believe I'm currently recording our NGL season one finale. I beat you to it. I beat you to it. That's right, it's our last one of season one.

• 1:26Kylie Kelce?

And for that reason, I'm definitely completely 100% on board with giving no. Queen Emma is rallying for a clean 75 because it's the finale. Let me tell you how we got to a clean 73. I feel like I've been beaten down. What Queen Emma did is she brought Editor Brad in and I can't say no to him. I'm not proud of myself right now and we're gonna move on before I change my mind. Season two starts in a few weeks, so don't worry, real ones. I'm not just gonna ghost you guys and never show up again.

• 2:02Kylie Kelce?

Have you seen the Britney Broski gif of her like huh?

• 2:09Kylie Kelce?

That. No, I'm, we're gonna be back, guys. We already have some guests lined up. I'm genuinely shocked. Anyone agrees to do this show, but we actually have people like on the other side of our break. That's crazy sauce. Coming up on today's season one finale, I'm gonna get honest, but not too honest, if you catch my drift, about Santa Claus. Then, you guys know Spotify wrapped, well, we're doing an NGL wrapped. And look at the wildest headlines that came out of season one. That's so good. That's so good. Oh, I'm so glad we're raw dogging this episode. After that, it's an NGL full circle moment. And my animal nerd self

• 2:51Kylie Kelce?

can't believe it. I'm going to be joined right here by, yet again, another person I have no business talking to, as if his sister wasn't enough, by wildlife conservationist, Dancing with the Stars champion, and Bindi's brother, that's right, Robert Irwin. And I'm gonna geek out so hard on animal stuff, cuz when, when we were done talking to Bindi, for a week, minimum,

• 3:24Kylie Kelce?

I thought to myself, I should've asked her about that. I should've asked her about that animal question, should've talked to her about that animal thing, should've talked about it. So, just buckle up. But before we get into any of that, a truly absurd addition of Places Kylie Has No Business Being. This week, I have absolutely no business, zero, none, being on a billboard in Times Square. I'm sorry, what? What happened? You said what now? Guys, what? Huh? This, was this for real? This is AI. Not gonna lie, I was named one of Amazon Music's best new podcasts of the year, and they put us on a billboard in Times Square to celebrate.

• 4:03Kylie Kelce?

That's so dumb. That's a dumb sentence. That's silly, a silly sentence to say out loud. I did not ever think I would be on a billboard. Why the fuck would I be on a billboard, guys? That's a silly question. There's no reason for me to be on a billboard, including this list. What's important to recognize when you see lists like this is that this show would not go off without the incredible team that I have with Not Gonna Lie, although my face is on the billboard, which is silly because nobody wants to see that shit. It really is about the team that is with me and has helped me create what NGL has become. So, um, thank you to the Real Ones for tuning in.

• 4:46Kylie Kelce?

Thank you for supporting the work that everyone on our team here at NGL is doing. If any New York-based Real Ones see this up there in real life, tag us at NGL with Kylie. We'd love to see you posting with, uh, NGL. And more importantly, my ugly mug on a billboard. How about that? Now that was Places Kylie Has No Business Being, which leads us perfectly to my next segment, Places Kylie Has Some Business Being. This week, I had some business being at Arrowhead Stadium to watch my brother-in-law's game with my family. The girls had not yet seen Uncle Trav play in Arrowhead Stadium. I did have to explain this to Wyatt and Ellie that they saw Uncle Trav win a Super Bowl. That was exciting after we came down from the sadness for dad.

• 5:30Kylie Kelce?

We, that was, you know, the catch 22. We were sad for dad, super happy for Uncle Trav. But we actually got to go and see him play at Arrowhead, which is his home stadium and has been for his entire NFL career. So that was a really cool moment. It was also super exciting to get to see friends and family that were there because the girls were so excited to get to watch a game with all of them. They are not that interested in football, to be quite honest with you. They actually yell at us anytime we try and put football on the TV and only get on board after a little while of realizing that they can freely yell.

• 6:13Kylie Kelce?

Finney slept for like an hour and a half there, so she's a real one. She actually slept through all the screaming and cheering, which is hilarious to me. There were a couple of people who were like, oh, that's power to her for sleeping. I'm like, have you met her three older sisters? Do you know that this is actually exactly what our house sounds like on any given day, at any given time? So she's, she feels very at home here. I did see something this morning that someone mentioned that I was wearing Eagles gear. Wrong. Incorrect. I was not. I was wearing a new

• 6:49Kylie Kelce?

So sorry, I blacked out for a second. I was not wearing Eagles gear, guys. I was wearing the other podcast sweatshirt, which a few of you noticed. For anyone who doesn't know, I cannot wear another team's logo, not in the NFL. I won't do it. I probably wouldn't do it for any of our other sports either. You're not going to catch me trying to be cool and wearing the New York Yankees hat. It's cool to wear your team. That does it for Places Kylie is Some Business Being. Moving on, let's get to Can I Be Honest? Brought to you by Amazon. Shop gifts for everyone. Since we're a week away from Christmas, I'm getting honest about Santa Claus. Not that honest, but I still recommend pausing if you're around tiny human ears.

• 7:37Kylie Kelce?

Did you kick them out? Are you hiding in the pantry? A closet? The bathroom? Okay.

• 7:44Kylie Kelce?

The girls are excited about Santa. They're very excited about Santa. They, I will say, Wise is getting a little, she's getting a little skeptical, I think. She is very much the type of child who puts enough thought into things, where very soon, I fear, we will be posed the question, how does he do it? Which my answer is always going to be magic, because that's the only feasible answer. Now,

• 8:24Kylie Kelce?

I have not taken them to meet Santa, mostly because, let's be honest, I'm a germaphobe.

• 8:36Kylie Kelce?

Not me letting you into my anxious thoughts. I do think that the girls might not cry about sitting on Santa's lap or sitting next to him in his little sleigh chair.

• 8:51Kylie Kelce?

I don't think they would like it.

• 8:55Kylie Kelce?

But I don't think they would cry. Finny would, for sure. Finn would cry immediately. She doesn't care for other people.

• 9:06Kylie Kelce?

It's really great for me. Jason has not yet dressed up as Santa for the girls. And I think we're past that. I think the minute Jason dresses up as Santa, why, it's gonna be like, clocked. We can't risk it. Also, I'm not sure if anyone else does this, but this time of year, I will absolutely use Santa to my parenting advantage. Okay? This was so sad. Oh, my God, this is so sad.

• 9:30Kylie Kelce?

I'll call Santa. Okay? Sometimes you gotta get, you need a direct line. Okay? I know Emmy Nummy's here, and the song says, "Santa's always watching." Okay? He knows when you're sleeping, knows when you're awake. Little creepy, but he's watching. Okay?

• 9:48Kylie Kelce?

Sometimes you gotta get the direct line. Okay? Sometimes you gotta hotline that shit to Santa.

• 9:58Kylie Kelce?

In an effort to make it believable, because like I said, I have one that's a little skeptical. I searched to find a graphic of a phone calling Santa. In other words, if I were to be like, "I'm really on the phone with him," it would be like a number and like clearly a hang up button to end a phone call. I'm in the thick of it. Okay?

• 10:26Kylie Kelce?

So, we're actually, I think we're gonna, I think we've successfully created a graphic that will allow you to tell the same lie. Because I did not feel as though there was sufficient graphics available on a quick search of the internet. So, we're gonna hand it to you. I want you to screenshot this and use it as like a, "Look, I'm actually on the phone with him."

• 10:50Kylie Kelce?

No, Santa, I don't know. We were just calling to check if they're on the naughty or nice list. When we did this to Benny, I felt very guilty. She cried, cried, cried, cried, while eating her pasta, cried, cried, cried. And then I had to get down on my knees in front of her and explain to her that I swear Santa said she was on the nice list. It was so sad. So don't make sure that it's a, I think you should do this in a positive way first, which we weren't even like, it wasn't even like a threatening situation. We were just like, you gotta eat your dinner. You have to sit at the table at least. And when she kept trying to get up from the table, I was like, I think I'm gonna have to call

• 11:35Kylie Kelce?

Santa. Wrong. I will tell you though, he can't talk to kids. That's an important point. You have to say that like, you're a grown up calling. Um, yeah, it's just, oof, dicey. And last thing on Santa, I have it on very good authority that like us parents, Santa is also rushing around like crazy this time of year. But the good news is we all have help if we need it. And not just from the elves. Amazon will wrap and deliver all the gifts on your list and make last minute gift shopping possible. That does it for Can I Be Honest? Brought to you by Amazon. Next up, doom scroll of the week brought to you by CBS Health. Okay, first up on doom scroll. If Mayor of Easttown didn't already prove

• 12:17Kylie Kelce?

it, Kate Winslet is a real one. She was just on the Happy Place podcast and spoke about aging. Queen under the clip.

• 12:24Speaker 01

Having a face that moves, having all of the wrinkles that my 50 years hopefully show. Um, that matters a great deal because I, again, I want to lead by example. It's important and it matters if we can be decent women, um, in today's world and be kind to ourselves and to others. I think it's important.

• 12:45Kylie Kelce?

I love it so much. Please make sure that when I share my feelings on this, so you take it as my own personal opinion. I'm not here to comment on what others are doing. Women can do whatever makes them happy because quite honestly, it's none of my fucking business and it's not my fucking body. Okay. But what I will say is, I love this so much. I love this so much because I am very much in the camp of.

• 13:11Kylie Kelce?

Your face has been telling people how you feel. It has been experiencing your life, your body, your face.

• 13:23Kylie Kelce?

You getting, I think one of the prettiest things is crow's feet. Because typically, it is from smiling, smile lines. It is from feeling joy in your life, right? I also always like to keep in mind that regardless of my platform, which is, I feel grateful to have women who will DM me or approach me in person and say that they really appreciate the way I put myself forward. In other words, authentically, not trying to do something that I am not, or do not have, or anything like that.

• 14:06Kylie Kelce?

  But I have four daughters.

• 14:11Kylie Kelce?

I have four daughters and I want them to know that they were made exactly the way they were intended to be made and that they should proceed as such. Okay? And I'm not talking about not dying your hair. Girl, these highlights, they were purchased, okay? That's not what I'm talking about. What I'm talking about is when I raise my eyebrows because I'm interested in what my children are saying and I have lines in my forehead, it only furthers the expression, okay? It's like an exclamation point on my expression. If I could not raise my eyebrows, I couldn't be shocked at the shit my kids are saying. And then they wouldn't know that I'm truly invested in the words that are coming out of my mouth. Do you know what I mean?

• 14:54Kylie Kelce?

And on top of that, when they get into their 30s, I want them to be like, you know what? Mom had wrinkles then too. Cause I do. And I earned these suckers, okay? And I'mma keep them.

• 15:12Kylie Kelce?

Cause I like them. Not all the time.

• 15:16Kylie Kelce?

Because sometimes I'm like, oof, girl, you are not 24.

• 15:22Kylie Kelce?

But you're fucking right. Oh my God, am I admitting that I'm not 24? You're right, I'm not 24. I'm 33 years old and this is how my face looks. Okay?

• 15:34Kylie Kelce?

I'm, I'm, I, this is, this is how I look.

• 15:40Kylie Kelce?

And I hope that my daughters and other young women can say confidently that that is how they look.

• 15:48Kylie Kelce?

And if they want to plump their lips or freeze their forehead, power fucking to them.

• 15:56Kylie Kelce?

But I would like more women to know that it doesn't have to be the new status quo. So Kate Winslet, you nailed that. I love that.

• 16:09Kylie Kelce?

  We should keep saying that.

• 16:12Kylie Kelce?

Next, I'm currently in the midst of weaning Finny. So this TikTok really hit my feed at the right time. I swear to God, they know. It says, cutting your breastfed baby off. And she runs to her daddy to tattle on you.

• 16:30Kylie Kelce?

  Doesn't cut it.

• 16:32Kylie Kelce?

Daddy, booby is what she's saying, in case you were wondering.

• 16:38Speaker 02

  You may have chocolate milk.

• 16:41Kylie Kelce?

This is what I'm going to tell you. I sent this video to Queen Emma. And I said, comments. Okay. Because at first, I was sad, right? Sad, this baby sad. But this, this is where it went, this is where it went a little sideways. And I, like always, booked it to the comments. Okay. The first comment that I saw was, we all saw the straw. We're all on team mom. Okay. For my audio listeners, the straw is crimped like a fucking piranha went at it. Okay.

• 17:22Kylie Kelce?

Like someone was ju, like a, like a hydraulic press. Okay, like someone hydraulic pressed the top of the straw. Okay. That shit is benign. It looks like it was steamrolled like a fucking fresh concrete. Okay. This thing is crimped so fucking hard.

• 17:45Kylie Kelce?

And you know what? For those of you that have not arrived at the destination, that could have been mom's nipple. Okay? I would have cut her off too. Now, weaning is not going great because

• 18:01Kylie Kelce?

  it's not going.

• 18:04Kylie Kelce?

But Finn's about to cut a tooth. Okay? And as selfish as this may sound,

• 18:12Kylie Kelce?

that's where I draw the line.

• 18:15Kylie Kelce?

Aggressively. That's aggressively where I draw the line. That's where I've drawn the line for all of my other children. I've never breastfed a child past them getting teeth. Full disclosure, because I have...

• 18:28Kylie Kelce?

I think that this, again, is something that people typically don't talk about because it can be a conscious choice. I typically have breastfed our girls anywhere... from anywhere between seven and eight months. I think the longest that I've gone for any other child has been maybe a hair past eight months. Right now with Finny, I am... This is the longest I have done it.

• 18:56Kylie Kelce?

Because it will take me at least a couple of weeks to fully wean her. And right now, we're right at the threshold of where I think I ended with Ellie.

• 19:08Kylie Kelce?

But just to be clear, this is my choice. And it might not be the choice that other people make. And I would like to say, because I think it's important to say this, I am very fortunate to have been able to breastfeed. Because I know that that's not always everyone's journey. Some people who want to cannot.

• 19:30Kylie Kelce?

So it's important to recognize that.

• 19:34Kylie Kelce?

My girls have switched to formula. And guess what? I have a six-year-old who is learning to read, who can write. It is... She's thriving.

• 19:50Kylie Kelce?

  So.

• 19:53Kylie Kelce?

Anyone who has an opinion about how I choose to go about my breastfeeding journey, and therefore my formula-fed journey, you can kindly get fucked. You knew it was coming. And also, fed is best. Let me say it one more time for emphasis. Fed, fed, is best. Best being the best that it can be. Like the SpongeBob imagination. Ready?

• 20:34Kylie Kelce?

We'll do fed is best and get fucked. Anyway, that's it for Doom Scroll of the Week, brought to you by CVS Health. Robert Irwin is coming up, but first, we have one more segment in honor of our finale we're calling NGL Wrapped. It's like Spotify Wrapped, but NGL. Clever stuff, Queen Emma. Fuck it. Our first annual NGL Wrapped is brought to you by Liquid IV. Tear Poor, Live More. We're going to reflect on our first season and check out some of the best highlights from our official NGL Wrapped report that Queen Emma definitely didn't just completely make up herself. That means she did. Starting

• 21:15Kylie Kelce?

with the first slide, Queen Emma, what do we have? You said, "Go Birds" 62,000 times this season. 5,000 times in the Eye Binder episode alone. That number actually feels wildly accurate. So yes, I will make it 6207, apparently. Go Birds. Fuck it, let's do eight. Go Birds! All right, next wrap slide here. This season, your name appeared in 67,000, 67 headlines. That makes sense. It feels right. Oh, 67. I didn't even, that's how you know I don't have kids in middle school.

• 21:58Kylie Kelce?

Here are the top five dumbest headlines that came out this year. Number one, Kylie Kelce said she accidentally picked up a literal turd, that's a quote, literal turd, with her bare hands. Oh, another direct quote, "I raw dogged it." Someone wrote that as a headline? Are you fucking kidding me? Number two, Kylie Kelce says she wears a sports bra every day after being named, quote, "President of the, quote, itty bitty titty committee." I said what the fuck I said? Guess what?

• 22:35Kylie Kelce?

Bra, sports bra, this is a sports bra, look, that was suspicious, it's a sports bra. And the titties are still itty bitty, even while I'm breastfeeding, thank you. Number three, Michelle Obama had Kylie, oh no. Michelle Obama had Kylie Kelce wiping her, quote, "Up her lip sweat" multiple times. Why do they have to keep quoting me? Really, it feels personal, feels personal when you quote me. I said it before and I'll say it until the end of time, I was so sweaty, so sweaty.

• 23:14Speaker 01

  Sweaty.

• 23:16Kylie Kelce?

Interviewing Michelle Obama, I don't know that I've ever been sweatier and I've played field hockey on 100-plus degree turf. Number four, Kylie Kelce blushes as zookeeper jokes about playing Taylor Swift's "Wood" song to get tigers in the mood. First of all, put some fucking respect on her name, her name is Maggie and she's a boss, okay? Second, it was a great reference, I fucking loved it, that was hilarious. Number five, Kylie Kelce introduces new baby on podcast only two days after giving birth. Yep, I did do that.

• 23:53Kylie Kelce?

Next slide. Congratulations, you came up with a new catchphrase. Suck my ass. Oh, God, such a good catchphrase. It's so good. Here are five things you said could suck or kiss your ass this season. Number one, skinny jeans. Yeah, they can kiss my ass. Two, haunted hayrides. Yep, those can kiss my ass. Three, Dallas. Suck my ass. Four, Gen Alpha. The fact that we have 21-year-olds that were born in the 2000s. There are people who can legally drink that were born in the 2000s. And I'm not talking like just 21-year-olds. There are 20-somethings that were born in the 2000s.

• 24:37Kylie Kelce?

And that can get fucked. Number five, baby name critics. Yeah, you guys can all get fucked.

• 24:44Kylie Kelce?

How about that? Keep it swiping, Queen Emma. What's next? Let's see. You spoke to 45 people you have no business speaking to. That is correct. One person you're married to and one person who is your husband's mom. That's accurate. By the way, one of those 45 people I had no business speaking to was Caleb Heron. And his podcast, So True, is now officially a Wave series. Yes. Welcome to Wave, Caleb. Real ones, make sure you check out So True. And just so you know, stay tuned. There might be more happening with NGL and Caleb.

• 25:19Kylie Kelce?

Did we tease it? Did we nail that? All right, Queen Emma, do we have one more slide?

• 25:24Kylie Kelce?

Oh, you're an asshole. Hey, girl, you went over the 48-minute rule 18 times this season.

• 25:34Kylie Kelce?

Asshole. Wow, sounds like season two should have a cool 60 baseline? Baseline? So that you can then work your way over 60 minutes on a regular basis? What do you think this is, the other podcast? Get the fuck out of here. Absolutely not. You set expectations low. Here's a trick to life, okay?

• 25:58Kylie Kelce?

Underpromise, overdeliver. Okay? Underpromise. It's 48 minutes, guys. And if you get some extra minutes, I'm sorry, it's Queen Emma's fault. The crazy part is, is you're in the same room. And if I want to launch a water bottle at your head, I won't do it because that's aggressive.

• 26:21Kylie Kelce?

I'm trying to see if there's anything that does that will not injure you. Oh, yep, here we go.

• 26:31Speaker 02

  Thank you.

• 26:31Kylie Kelce?

It was a tweezer box, eyelash curler box. Yep, no problem.

• 26:38Kylie Kelce?

She said worth it. That's it for NGL Wrap, brought to you by Liquid IV. Coming up, Robert Irwin. For more than six decades, millions of families have shared the annual Hess holiday tradition. And guys, my family is one of those millions. I still remember going to my great aunt Dorothy's house and seeing all of the Hess trucks lined up, some of the coolest toy trucks that I've ever gotten to play with. Hess toy trucks are trusted by parents and grandparents for being one of the safest, most high-quality toys you can buy. I also love that Hess makes something different every year. It's always a brand-new vehicle, a brand-new moment. And this year, it's a pair of stock car racers. Are you kidding me? Look at this. Watch, watch.

• 27:25Kylie Kelce?

Look at it lighting up. Watch.

• 27:29Kylie Kelce?

That's not even the most exciting part.

• 27:33Kylie Kelce?

Stop. What's inside? You guessed it, or maybe you didn't. Another toy car. You put it back in its home. Look.

• 27:43Kylie Kelce?

It does a sound effect. I'm gonna play with this first before I give it to my kids. If you want to start a tradition your kids can look back on, you can get it only at hesstoytruck.com. Free shipping, battery's already in it. Honestly, it's the easiest win of the holidays. Whether you've listened to all 49 episodes of our first season, or if this is the only episode you've ever heard, you just know it in your heart that I'm a last-minute-gift-type-of-person. Fortunately for me and all the other Type-C parents out there, you can pretty much find everything for everyone on your list this year right on Amazon. Plus, they have all sorts of last-minute deals where you can save up to 40% on hats, home decor, and the most popular toys.

• 28:26Kylie Kelce?

I have approximately four things right now. There's 10 days till Christmas. I have four things. And that's not even four things for each child. That's four things total. • 30:26Speaker 03

This is like the best intro in history. Oh my gosh, I love this.

• 30:32Kylie Kelce?

We had to make sure you got your Funkle credit in there.

• 30:34Speaker 03

  That's the most important thing.

• 30:36Kylie Kelce?

  We love Funkles around here.

• 30:38Speaker 03

I am, I am a Funkle through and through and a proud one at that. Oh my gosh. How are you? It's so good to talk to you.

• 30:45Kylie Kelce?

I am so excited. We had the chance to speak to Bindy earlier this year, which is...

• 30:53Kylie Kelce?

Was one of my favorite interviews. It just, it was a full circle moment. Having watched your dad and all of that for a long time.

• 31:05Speaker 03

  Thank you.

• 31:06Kylie Kelce?

And how excited I am also about animal conservation and making sure that everyone knows that your connection to the earth and animals is something that is, is truly beautiful and important. But speaking of Bindi, uh, she actually sent me and my whole family, our own custom Australia Zoo shirts. So I'm actually gonna, I'm gonna, I've

• 31:28Speaker 03

  Oh, no way.

• 31:29Kylie Kelce?

That if, if we should, that we should, that we should always wear khaki. And so, so I'm just gonna, I'm just gonna make sure that we have this represented here.

• 31:40Speaker 03

  No way.

• 31:41Kylie Kelce?

I'm so ready to come to Australia.

• 31:45Speaker 03

I, I feel bare without mine. I don't, you, you look more like an Irwin than I do at this point. This is amazing.

• 31:52Kylie Kelce?

I'll represent us. Here we go.

• 31:54Speaker 03

I love it. You can be an, you can be an honorary Irwin family member anytime.

• 31:59Kylie Kelce?

  Thank you so much.

• 32:00Speaker 03

And I'm sure Bindi told you.

• 32:01Kylie Kelce?

  Are you kidding me?

• 32:02Speaker 03

It's not just a color, it's an attitude. It is khaki. Mm hmm. And you are repping it very well.

• 32:10Kylie Kelce?

Um, Bindi's not gonna lie was that she thought we should just get to wear khaki everywhere, that we shouldn't have to dress up, that, that khaki is dressed up enough. And I said, I'm in. Say less.

• 32:22Speaker 03

I am so in, you know, it can be, you can, you can make it chic. You can dress it down, you can dress it up. I mean, I open up my closet and it's literally khaki, khaki or khaki. So luckily it's a very versatile color, you know? I always say if you've, you, you might have to catch a crocodile at, at six, but you've got a nice dinner at seven, you know? Khaki, that's your color. You can do it all.

• 32:45Speaker 03

  That really, really suits you.

• 32:47Kylie Kelce?

Thank you so much. All right. Well, we're going to talk more about animals and the Australia Zoo. But first, you're fresh off your Dancing With The Stars win. So congratulations.

• 32:57Speaker 03

Thank you so much. It still hasn't even really set in. It just doesn't even feel real. It's crazy. Thank you.

• 33:05Kylie Kelce?

I love so much that with everything that you're doing, that your messaging stays consistent. And that you've taken the opportunity within your Dancing With The Stars opportunity and other opportunities that you've had to discuss animal conservation and make sure that people know that that is at the forefront of everything that you do. How have you been able to continue to discuss that, especially now that you're a Mirrorball Trophy winner?

• 33:37Speaker 03

First of all, thank you so much for saying that, you know, because I feel like no matter what I do, whether I'm in my khaki uniform like you are right now, or if I am in the the the sequins of Dancing With The Stars, my heart always beats khaki, you know, it always beats that that Irwin spirit. And and I never thought that I would be able to bring my message and what I stand for, which is wildlife conservation to the world through through a dancing show. But my sister was really the inspiration for me. I watched her. I still remember, 11 years old, I was in

• 34:17Speaker 03

the audience, in that ballroom, watching her just lighting it up and sharing this beautiful sense of authentic passion. And I just went, wow, one day I want to follow in those footsteps. And and to have that chance was everything to me. I never in my wildest dreams thought I'd make it to the end. No way. Like, I was in absolute shock every week. My bags were packed. I was ready to go every week. And I realized, not only am I representing wildlife conservation, but also I I'm creating my own kind of legacy. My life has been about continuing the legacy of my mum and dad and

• 34:58Speaker 03

and my whole family. But through this, I got to really, I guess, tap into a more kind of vulnerable side and tell stories that were a little more challenging, but I I hope I kind of got to put a little bit of positivity and and and passion into that ballroom.

• 35:14Kylie Kelce?

Now, was it like a cheat code to have Bindi there cheering you on and also having won it herself?

• 35:22Speaker 03

Yeah, well, that's the thing, because like she, her advice, oh, she's amazing. You've talked to her. You know what she's like. She is so sweet and so kind, but then, like, she's got this old soul and this this real wisdom about her. It's amazing. So when I first decided to do this, I, you know, Dancing the Stars went, do you wanna, do you wanna be on this season? And I just was like, yes, let's go. And then I kind of thought, hang on a minute. I I I might have been a little hasty, like, I have no idea what to do. Like, what the heck did I just sign up for? And I'm talking to Vinnie, I'm like, what? Ah, I don't know how to dance. I don't know. Ah. And she, when we found out that I'd be partnered with Whitney, she was like, listen, Whitney Carson is

• 36:06Speaker 03

the greatest. You don't have to worry about the dancing thing. She'll be an amazing teacher. You got this. But the best advice that she gave to me was to just let go and lean in. Like, that was it. She said, this experience will change your life. And every time when rehearsals after twelve hours a day and you're sore and you're just giving it everything, she just said, remember why you're here. Remember what you represent. Remember that passion you have. Remember everything that you're about. And remember that this experience is supposed to be hard. It's supposed to be a challenge. And I just went, all right, I just got to let go and lean into this absolute hurricane.

• 36:46Kylie Kelce?

Now, there were so many emotional moments in the show.

• 36:50Speaker 03

  Yeah.

• 36:51Kylie Kelce?

I saw them all over my TikTok feed, including the dance you dedicated. Yes, but including the dance you dedicated to your dad where Bindi joins at the end. I actually, I, uh, I can't watch this one. We were gonna queue it up for you, but I actually, I I can't do it. Um, so

• 37:09Speaker 03

  And how I

• 37:10Kylie Kelce?

  I do, I

• 37:11Speaker 03

  I know.

• 37:12Kylie Kelce?

I mean, it just hits you right in the feels. You it's you could feel the emotion and it was such a beautiful tribute. But I do wanna ask, did you have a favorite dance that you did this season?

• 37:27Speaker 03

Ah, that is so, that is such a hard question. And that one, ah, it's like, it's like they're all my little children, like I love them, everyone, I love them all. And they're all like the the culmination of so many months of of all of this time and energy. But you know, I think there's that one that I dedicated to my dad and and to my sister was was beautiful. And then I also did another dance. It's just the first one that springs to my mind because it felt so, there was like so much gravity and weight on this dance, which was a dedication that I I did to my my mum. It was dedication week and they said, who do you wanna dedicate a a dance to?

• 38:08Speaker 03

And I dedicated it to my mum because I felt like she really is the guiding force behind everything that we do. And she's been the glue to hold us together through the most challenging times in our life. Particularly when my dad passed. And we did a contemporary dance to You'll Be In My Heart by um Phil Collins, you know, from the Tarzan soundtrack, which I cry at that song just listening to it at the best of times.

• 38:38Kylie Kelce?

  Don't we all?

• 38:39Speaker 03

Oh, my gosh. But it felt like this moment to say thank you to not only my mum, but to, you know, all of the single parents of the world, all of the mums out there who I I feel like don't always get that recognition and celebration that they deserve. Because I know my mum worked so hard behind the scenes to keep to keep us together. And everything that dad was about.

• 39:08Speaker 03

Was my mum. I mean, it was them together. It was my mum and dad creating this legacy. And then when he passed, she was the one person to pick up all the broken pieces and to say, I'm gonna make sure everything that he lived for continues on. And all the while, she was just the best mum to us. And to have her in there and part of that dance. And to have a dance that was for her, that was also made by a mum, you know, Whitney, she's an amazing and powerful mum in her own right. It just felt like this incredible celebration. And it was a turning point for me because I think it was like week four. And it was the first dance where I was so overcome with just so much emotion.

• 39:47Speaker 03

That I just kind of let go of the moves and just let my body just sort of do what it felt was right. That dance was just everything to me. Um, because yeah, my, my mum's um, my hero, you know, she really is.

• 39:59Kylie Kelce?

I think that your mom and dad are like the perfect uh, display of a partnership.

• 40:06Speaker 03

  Yes.

• 40:07Kylie Kelce?

Because of the way that she has continued on. The tribute to your mom was beautiful and um, I'm sure she, I'm sure she loved it. Did she give you feedback?

• 40:18Speaker 03

She, oh my gosh, she, it was really cute because she came out at the very end of that dance. And, you know, my sister was part of a dance for a little, you know, a little eight count there and, and she knew what, what it was about. She'd been on that floor so many times. But my mum was so just adamant that she got it right. And she was, she practised it and it was really cute because she was like, I, I don't want to mess up this dance. I feel like I, I don't want to be the thing that messes it up. And I'm like, mum, you can't mess it up. You got this. And she came out and it was just this really beautiful moment, did a little spin and, and after that, my mum and my sister and I were all in, in the trailer after that. And we were all just bawling, you know, because it just felt like.

• 41:01Speaker 03

It was, someone came, someone knocked on our door, actually, like, like a makeup artist or something came in and was like, oh, you're, you're ready for, you know, the press line that we do after. And they opened the door of the trailer and here we are, just all like crying and she just like closes the door and then walks away.

• 41:17Kylie Kelce?

  She's like, never mind.

• 41:19Speaker 03

Never mind. Because it is so, you know, you've poured your heart and soul into telling a story of, like, it really was a story of grief and the way my mum kind of pulled me out of a lot of, a lot of challenging times. And, and I've always felt like I'd never really had an avenue to say thank you and to really express the gratitude for what she has meant to me in my life. And it felt like it was this time to finally do that. And it was actually one of the most healing moments in my entire life. Cause I, I addressed parts of my grief journey that I'd actually never really tapped into before. I get emotional just even thinking about it. Like, I gotta, I gotta lock in.

• 42:03Kylie Kelce?

I'll, I'll turn, I'll turn it to a little more of a lighthearted topic because Queen Emma told me, I have to ask you about TikTok night salsa.

• 42:12Speaker 03

  Oh, oh gosh. Okay.

• 42:18Kylie Kelce?

I saw that your family didn't know these moves were coming.

• 42:21Speaker 03

They didn't. And there was, there was a good reason for that because I was like, oh, every dance that I had done, I would like give my family a little preview. Like, they would come to rehearsal or I'd show them a video. But then this one, there's a point in the dance where like I remove my shirt and there's a lot of like, it's salsa. So it's, you know, it's a little bit spicy. And so.

• 42:47Kylie Kelce?

What a gentlemanly way of saying, I remove my shirt.

• 42:53Speaker 03

And I was like, I, I, I can't, I can't show my fam. I don't know. So I just went, you know what? I'm just gonna go for it. And I said to them, so this one's a little bit edgy. And they're like, oh, that's great. Go for it. But then afterwards they were like, whoa.

• 43:09Speaker 03

But you know what? Life is short. You gotta just embrace it. There's nothing wrong with that. It was fun. It was fun.

• 43:15Kylie Kelce?

And you know, and you know what it does? It drives traffic to the page where you are discussing passionately animal conservation. So you nailed it.

• 43:27Speaker 03

I took my shirt off for wildlife conservation. One hundred percent. Exactly. And you know, it's so funny. I am a big believer in like for myself. I don't take, I just, I don't take myself too seriously. And I think it's, you gotta just do that. You gotta just kinda send it. Let go and just go for it. And it was so, it was so, that dance was the hardest one. Because Whitney, you know, my, the dance partner is like, okay, you have to be cool and you have to be like really edgy and like passionate. I'm like, I don't know how to do that. That's not my, that's not me. So I got to find this new sort of side to myself. Cool Robert. I never knew he existed, but it was, it was really cool. But then I, now

• 44:11Speaker 03

I'm back in my T-shirt or my car keys covered in mud again, and I feel much more natural.

• 44:18Kylie Kelce?

Now, as, as a mom of four little princess obsessed girls, my favorite TikTok you put out was the one of you with your niece Grace.

• 44:29Speaker 03

  Yes. Yeah. The Cinderella.

• 44:31Kylie Kelce?

  This is, it's so good.

• 44:35Speaker 03

  Oh.

• 44:40Kylie Kelce?

Oh, what a great spin. How did, uh, the real star of the family, Grace, enjoy her time on Dancing with the Stars?

• 44:48Speaker 03

She loved it. I, you know what? That is the correct way to refer to Grace. She is, she is the one. She is the, the star of the Irwin family and she is just the best. And I gotta tell you that, that day, it was Halloween and we were all going trick or treating. And I knew that she had dressed up as Cinderella. And so I talked to the Dancing with the Stars wardrobe team, cause they just had Disney night, right? And I said to them, Can you get me or make me a Prince Charming outfit? And they did, credit to them, they did. And I was like, yes. And so my sister talked it up to Grace, she's like, you know, Prince Charming might come over.

• 45:29Speaker 03

And I remember I walked through the door in the full costume, there she is in her Cinderella costume. And she is the first time ever I've seen her go all shy. She was just like, completely shy, she was like, what? And she says to me, she's like, oh my gosh, Uncle Robert, you're you're Prince Charming. She's had like, she was like, you've been Prince Charming this whole time? And I thought it was, it was the cutest thing. And she's like, wait, it's been you the whole time? That's crazy. And I'm like, yep, and we went, we went trick or treating and it was very cute because, you know, some of the houses were a little bit scary, some of the decorations were a little scary. So she would, she would send Prince Charming in first to knock on the door, make sure the coast is clear.

• 46:12Speaker 03

And then, and then Cinderella would come up and get her, get her chocolates and candy and that. And, and oh man, we had the best time. But it was, it was crazy being in that Dancing with the Stars experience. And because she came to like pretty much every live show, she loved it. And I would finish a dance, I'd look into the audience and there she is, just wide eyed, just looking going, oh my gosh. And you just see her just light up in this room. And I just thought, that was me. When I watched my sister do the show, I was a little kid, just in awe of this whole experience. And then I got to take that experience and now I'm watching her doing the same thing. And I'm like, season fifty, she's in there, like she's gonna be.

• 46:55Kylie Kelce?

I was just gonna say, let's go three for three, let's go three for three.

• 47:00Speaker 03

We need another Irwin on the floor.

• 47:03Kylie Kelce?

Right? That would be so good.

• 47:07Speaker 03

Not even as a, as like a contestant, she'd be one of the pros. She's the best dancer in the family, oh my gosh.

• 47:13Kylie Kelce?

Yes, Grace, go ahead, show them how it's done.

• 47:16Speaker 03

  She's an icon.

• 47:18Kylie Kelce?

Now, when Bindi was on here, she and I bonded over, uh, you and my brother in law Travis being Funkles.

• 47:25Speaker 03

  Yes, go to Funkle.

• 47:28Kylie Kelce?

Uncle Travis very much, he's on, on the same wavelength. He'll do anything to make them happy. He wants to flip them, play with them, get on the floor, play Barbies. He'll dance until they tell him to stop. It's all of it.

• 47:43Speaker 03

  I love that.

• 47:46Kylie Kelce?

What do you and Grace get up to together at the Australia Zoo? Cause Bindi did tell us that some days it's just like Uncle Robert's here and then Grace is out the door. She hasn't seen her for a while.

• 47:58Speaker 03

Oh yeah, we, we really run amok. Grace, she gets away with a lot with me. Like she kind of, it's so funny because she'll, she'll come back and she'll be like, oh, can I have that chocolate? And, and Bindi will be like, oh no sweetheart, sorry. You've got to have your, you know, your vegetables first. And she's like, yeah, well Uncle Robert would let me. Like she's, she really wields it. Like she gets away with everything. Oh yeah. I'm like, oh, you wanna go for it? Yeah, yeah. Let's do this. Let's do that. She, this is my thing is, um, we'll go around when the zoo shuts at 5pm. There's no one there and Grace and I, I have this, like this little scooter and we'll go around on our scooter and I'll like pick her up and we'll jump in with like the tortoises or the koalas or the wombats and just run around

• 48:43Speaker 03

and run amok. And it is just so much fun. Being a Funkle is the greatest job on earth. Honestly.

• 48:49Kylie Kelce?

I was just saying yesterday, aunts, uncles and grandparents have privilege. There is a reason that Grace knows that she can have the chocolate with you.

• 48:59Speaker 03

  Oh yeah.

• 48:59Kylie Kelce?

It's, it's aunt, uncle, grandparent privilege.

• 49:02Speaker 03

Tot- ah, that is a real thing. And, and we wield it. Like I, I love it. It's, it's, it is so good.

• 49:09Kylie Kelce?

  It's okay. It's fine.

• 49:10Speaker 03

  It's okay. It is.

• 49:11Kylie Kelce?

Our, our, uh, our third came over to me just yesterday with a cookie, almost as big as her face. And I had to be like, aunt, uncle, grandparent privilege. I'm not gonna, I'm not gonna take the cookie. Cause aunt, uncle, grandparent privilege.

• 49:25Speaker 03

  Exactly.

• 49:26Kylie Kelce?

  That's it.

• 49:26Speaker 03

I love that. I love, that is so true. And it, and it goes, it's funny. It goes the same, like in our, in our world, it'll be different. It'll be like, oh, can I, can I please, please, please, please, you know, jump in with this, name an animal, absolutely anything. And then I've got to be like, okay, well you know, you can't play with that snake because it's venomous, but this one is really sweet and it's a python. So you can, you can touch that one. That's okay. So it's funny to see her like learn the rules of like what you can and can't do in the zoo. It's really, it's really funny to watch. It's really cool.

• 50:04Kylie Kelce?

Now, how old does Grace have to be to start feeding the crocodiles with Uncle Robert?

• 50:08Speaker 03

  See, this is the problem.

• 50:10Kylie Kelce?

This is, this is where the rules kick in.

• 50:12Speaker 03

This is where the rules kick in and I'm very much like, oh, she'll be fine. I was like, I started when I was ten years old. So let's just start her at ten, you know, and my sister's like, no, she's got to, she's got to wait till, and I'm like, come on. I started asking, when can I feed a crocodile when I was two years old? And I would watch my dad in there and I would literally every single day be like, mom, when can I feed a croc? Um, um, um, and she, she, I, I wore her down, you know, because I kinda, I got the age bracket down to ten years old. She was like, you have to be double digits before you can feed your first croc. And I was like, ah, fine.

• 50:51Speaker 03

And I remember my tenth birthday, the crocodile was Monty, beautiful, big, big saltwater crocodile that, that my dad had for a very long time and rescued him. And I remember standing in front there, watching him coming out of the water and I fed him and there was like a crowd of people and I just felt this sense of absolute, it just felt like an honor. It felt like, wow, I'm following in this, these footsteps of my family. And it just felt like this rite of passage, feeding my first crocodile. And so I, I'm excited for Grace to experience that, but she may be a little older than I was, you know, she might have to wait a few more years. Bindi's very, you know, she's very,

• 51:33Speaker 03

she's very good. She might be twelve. Uh, it'll probably be like a teenage thing. Once she's like twelve, thirteen, then she can feed the crocodile, but, but I'm ready. I'm ready. Uh, you know, I'll start training her on little alligators.

• 51:47Kylie Kelce?

I do love that in our house, it's like, how old do you have to be to get your ears pierced? And in your world, it's how old do you have to be to feed your first crocodile?

• 51:55Speaker 03

  Yes. Yep, that's the one.

• 51:58Kylie Kelce?

As a mom to four kids aged six and under, you could say I deeply cherish the few moments I get to myself during the day. And one of those moments is courtesy of the one and only Bigelow tea. My favorite type of Bigelow tea, without a doubt, the Earl Grey. I love that it feels like a warm hug in a cup. I typically drink it right around that three to four o'clock range, where you start to just take a dive. The only way I'm making it through homework time. Is with a little zhuzh from my Bigelow tea Earl Grey. And Bigelow has the perfect tea for all the moments where we need it most. A nice little morning ritual before everyone is awake. Maybe black tea like English tea time or the Earl Grey.

• 52:42Kylie Kelce?

Or even the evening wind down. Pair it with some cozy chamomile or peppermint. There really is something about winding down at night. When the kids go to bed and you don't have to run the risk of having a hot cup of tea in your hands while they're using you as a human jungle gym. Calms you down. If you're like me and trying to make the most of a few moments you have to yourself each day. I highly recommend a nice cup of Bigelow Earl Grey. And the social media doom scroll of your choosing. Bigelow tea, take a moment just for you. If you only know three things about me at this point, I hope they're these. I'm a mom of four, a wife, and a big time germaphobe. Honestly, I wash my hands until they're cracked.

• 53:25Kylie Kelce?

Right now, actually, they're looking pretty good. Luckily, CVS always has me covered with everything I need to limit the amount of germs my kiddos bring into the house. Which basically means I'm constantly stocking up on hand sanitizer, hand soap, and disinfecting wipes on the CVS Health app. The CVS Health app lets you refill, track, and manage your prescription needs anytime. Where we go to the shore, there is one pharmacy on the island. And you guessed it, it's CVS. They are so great about transferring prescriptions when you forget something. They're great about any prescriptions that need to get called in by your doctor. 10 out of 10. We love them. I also always go there for my sunscreen, any random thing I might need. Maybe I forgot my tweezers.

• 54:09Kylie Kelce?

You can also quickly find care from qualified providers. Their Minute Clinic providers offer healthcare services for every day and ongoing conditions. I've been going to CVS. • 55:38Kylie Kelce?

is feeding the crocs at the Crocoseum.

• 55:41Speaker 03

Yes, right, okay. Crocoseum, let me give you some context, right? So my dad watched a film called The Gladiator, of course.

• 55:52Kylie Kelce?

  Yes.

• 55:53Speaker 03

Russell Crowe, and watched the Colosseum and went, "Oh, my gosh, I need that." So he built that. So he, except he went, "I need that." Except instead of it being like you're fighting and it's all crazy, he was like, "I want that, but I want this like huge showcase of the beauty of the natural world and how amazing crocodiles are." And and my mum was like, oh, okay, this is kind of wild, but all right. So he did, he built a five thousand seat auditorium. And it's a place where his rescued crocodiles, the crocs that he, you know, rescued from the wild. They were gonna be shot, you know, they were gonna be killed. And he went and gave them a second chance at life. And there's these beautiful big lagoons out the back of our crococene.

• 56:39Speaker 03

And the crocs will swim through this canal into the main area and do exactly what a croc would be doing out in the wild. You can't convince a crocodile to do anything. So we had no idea if it would work. He built this whole thing and then just went, I'm sure it'll work. It did. The crocodiles will come out, they strike out of the water, they get their food. It's this amazing thing. And at the same time, we get to tell people and teach people about the beauty of these animals. And I do the same thing, you know, he fed the crocs in there. My family and I still feed the very same crocs that he did. And it's such a special thing for me because I love that it's these animals that were always kind of maligned and misunderstood. And people thought they were just running around eating you. They're these big scary monsters.

• 57:24Speaker 03

But I get to convince people and show people how lovable they are and how beautiful and powerful and intelligent these creatures are. And to hopefully get people to to fall in love with them. And that's exactly what he did. I feel the closest to my dad when I'm in there with with his crocodiles and I'm and I'm feeding him. And it's beautiful. It's it's also the ultimate adrenaline rush. Like, mate, it is crazy. Hey, you've got your car keys. I reckon if you come to Australia.

• 57:53Kylie Kelce?

Will you let me slap the water?

• 57:54Speaker 03

I reckon I'll get you to feed a croc, mate. I'll get I I'll I'll put you in there. What do you reckon?

• 58:02Kylie Kelce?

  I'm so in.

• 58:03Speaker 03

  You wanna you wanna?

• 58:04Kylie Kelce?

  Oh, my gosh, I'm.

• 58:05Speaker 03

We'll keep some distance. We'll keep some solid distance. It'll be very safe. But we've, you know, we've got a crocodile named Graham. He's a beautiful big boy, I reckon.

• 58:15Kylie Kelce?

  Oh, so in on this.

• 58:17Speaker 03

You should come feed a croc.

• 58:18Kylie Kelce?

  So in on this.

• 58:19Speaker 03

  Ooh, I like this.

• 58:20Kylie Kelce?

I can't even explain to you how in I am.

• 58:22Speaker 03

I mean, you've got the uniform. Let's do it.

• 58:26Kylie Kelce?

I'm so in. Now, your mom also just posted a bunch of photos with you. Uh, and another animal you love, Jenny, the Burmese python.

• 58:35Speaker 03

  Jenny, my girl, my girl.

• 58:38Kylie Kelce?

I'm so sorry. How did you become best friends with Jenny?

• 58:43Speaker 03

This is, so Jenny is one of these animals. I love that you know about Jenny. This is great. Okay, so Jenny is one of these animals where I've like grown up with her. You know how, you know, we're talking about our dogs and how you grow up with the family pets? That was Jenny for me. So we, as I got taller, Jenny got longer. So Jenny is a Burmese python. She's got a very interesting coloration though. She's beautiful. She's like this white color, kind of looks like a Dalmatian. She's got these black spots coming through. That species is usually a beautiful mottled brown and black all the way down, but she's got this really strange kind of color morph, just gorgeous.

• 59:21Speaker 03

Anyway, there's a photo where I am like a few months old in Jenny's coils. She's like, just not, not constricting me, but she's just coiled up and I was just kind of laying there with her, like a little soft little spot to be. And then we've got another photo, I'm a toddler and there she is a little bit longer and I'm a little bit taller. And now she's that big that I can hardly hold her. She is like this thick. She's huge. And she's still, every time she sees me, she wraps around me and she gives me a little hug, just like she did when I was a baby. It's so cute. We, we love each other.

• 59:56Kylie Kelce?

That's so perfect. Um, I will tell you, I recently got to hold a snake for the first time.

• 1:00:01Speaker 03

  Did you?

• 1:00:02Kylie Kelce?

She was, she was a Kenyan samboa and I will tell you, I called her a gateway snake because homegirl was like a stuffed animal.

• 1:00:10Speaker 03

  She was just chilling.

• 1:00:11Kylie Kelce?

  She was jelly.

• 1:00:13Speaker 03

  Was she big?

• 1:00:13Kylie Kelce?

She was, no, she was probably this big and she was jelly. It felt like she was a, like a, like a weighted sand stuffy. You know, like that's, and she was chilling. And the only way you knew that she was kicking was that her little tongue.

• 1:00:31Speaker 03

  Yeah, the little flake.

• 1:00:32Kylie Kelce?

Like, she was just smelling me. She was like, mm, let me taste that.

• 1:00:36Speaker 03

  Just sussing out. Yep, yep.

• 1:00:38Kylie Kelce?

  Yeah.

• 1:00:39Speaker 03

That is the gateway snake. I love that. That is so, cause they are, that species is so chill. They're like the koalas of the snake world. They're just like, yeah, whatever.

• 1:00:50Kylie Kelce?

She was, she was so cool. And I, I was mentally prepared for larger. So when I got her, I was like, this is great. I love this. This is amazing.

• 1:01:03Speaker 03

Don't they feel really cool? Like when you feel them move around and you feel how they're very like smooth and, and cool. And people think they're sticky and slimy, but they're not.

• 1:01:13Kylie Kelce?

Cold. I know that sounds so silly. I know that sounds so silly because, you know, cold blooded, but here we are. I, my brain was like, that's so much colder than I thought she was going to be.

• 1:01:27Speaker 03

And you know, that means she would have really liked you holding her because the warmth from your hands is going to warm her up. And snakes naturally, they need to get their warmth from somewhere. Sometimes, you know, obviously that's the sun. They'll regulate their body temperature, but often if they're a little cold, when you hold them, they actually really like it. Cause it's warming them up and they actually seek that. Yeah.

• 1:01:47Kylie Kelce?

  Oh, they're so good.

• 1:01:49Speaker 03

  That's awesome.

• 1:01:50Kylie Kelce?

It was so good, but, but I am ready. I am ready to hold a bigger snake. So when I come to Australia, I'm saying when.

• 1:01:56Speaker 03

  Jenny, you and Jenny.

• 1:01:59Kylie Kelce?

In a heartbeat. Uh, now I have, I have to ask this question for my brother in law. He, Travis loves otters. What's the craziest fun fact about otters that I can hit him with next time we get together?

• 1:02:12Speaker 03

Oh my gosh. Okay. I, I don't know if I call this a fun fact, but it's more of like a, like a personality trait. Otters, there are some species of otters that are absolute machines. They are so.

• 1:02:27Speaker 03

Incredible at uh hunting. You look at an otter and they just look super adorable, but they're one of the most in tune hunters I have ever seen. I was in was in um Oregon and I was photographing otters on a on a river, right? On this like frozen lake and they would be underneath the the ice. And they'd catch a fish and flick it up onto the ice. It was like, it looked like those orcas when they catch a seal. Grabs this fish, chucks it up there, jumps up onto the ice, midair catches it and then just starts eating it tail first. And I'm just like, you are savage, like just straight in there.

• 1:03:08Speaker 03

I've got these otters called Asian small clawed otters, absolutely gorgeous, but they will chase you around their habitat. And when they bite, oh mate, they bite so hard. They've actually got some of the best and sharpest teeth in the animal kingdom, so. I love them and they are adorable, but I love that they also have this little edge to them. You don't mess with an otter, don't mess with an otter, because mate, they'll give you a good go. And that loves, that makes me love them even more, you know?

• 1:03:36Kylie Kelce?

They've got a little bit of what we like to call the fuck around and find out energy. I like it.

• 1:03:41Speaker 03

  Boom, right there.

• 1:03:42Kylie Kelce?

Switching gears a little bit, something else uh I talked to Bindi about was her battle with endometriosis. And the importance of speaking up and advocating for women's health. I just wanna say, I think you have done such an incredible job, not only supporting Bindi. But also using your voice to bring awareness to women's health. So first of all, thank you.

• 1:03:59Speaker 03

Thank you for saying that. I think it's, yeah, really important. We talk about it a lot in our family. I feel like it's it's something that I think it's a responsibility for men and women to be talking about this. And I and I have found that I've learnt so much um on Bindi's journey with this, where I I feel a real responsibility to make sure that it's. Becomes a more mainstream and widespread discussion because like, I I didn't realise, the more that you really look into this field of women's health. It is so under researched and funded and discussed. And we still, as far as the medical system has come, we still have a long way to go. And that's gonna, that that momentum can only happen if we're all talking about it. So no, thank you. I I appreciate you saying that.

• 1:04:44Kylie Kelce?

And supporting Bindi in her health journey was just one of many ways it's clear that you guys have an awesome bond. As a mom of four children, I'm hoping to raise my girls to be as close as possible. What do you guys think is the reason that you guys have such a great sibling relationship?

• 1:05:00Speaker 03

Yeah, I think, I think for us, you know, we, first of all, we have two amazing role models in our life, our parents, our mom and dad, I think, really exemplify what it is to be great people who lead with a sense of authentic passion. And, you know, I, I, I think my sister and I went through, obviously, a, a, a very tough time and have navigated some, some really challenging things throughout our childhood with the loss of, of dad. And I, I feel like my mom showed us

• 1:05:45Speaker 03

the power of, of, of unity. And when you lose someone very close to you, it really reveals the people around you. It's very revealing. You very quickly understand who's who and what's what, you know, and some people react really well, some people not so much. And we just felt like our tight knit little family, the three of us, my mom, my sister and I, we just became this little bubble of love. And we just, I know for me, I, I don't know what I would do without my sister, because every milestone that I've come to, and also every milestone that I've had to reach in the public eye, which is challenging in itself, she's done it before. And she's just this one

• 1:06:27Speaker 03

step ahead where she's always there to lend advice. And she is truly one of my greatest inspirations. But I think, yeah, it is my mom that's kept us so close. And I think through life's ups and downs, and particularly the downs, I feel, I feel like it's just brought us so incredibly close. But I think it's also, you got to have a really great sense of, of, of humor and fun. And like, when we travel together, we genuinely enjoy it. Like, I, I love traveling with my family. I love when we're together as a unit. We're, we're all working towards the same goal. I mean, our life is about this legacy and this message that is greater than ourselves. And that has always felt like such a privilege to do that. But

• 1:07:12Speaker 03

I admire my sister too, because her message now is not just wildlife conservation, but it's also a an incredible advocate for women's health. She is amazing. What she went through with Endo was very challenging, very confronting, you know, because we're so incredibly close. And I watched her on this decline for so many years. And the the worst part of it was the fact that she had no answers. Her body was declining and declining and declining. And every single time she would be trying so desperately to get help, it was just a brick wall. You know, she was just hitting brick walls. And it was incredibly frustrating. But when when she got that help,

• 1:07:57Speaker 03

not only did she go through all of this to help herself, but she used that story to help other women. Whatever she's doing, whatever she goes through, I'm like, right here to make sure I can back her up. And I I know that it would be the same for me. She's got my back. And it's just this sense of, hey, I'm in your corner and I've got you. And yeah, that's a that's a powerful thing. Having Bindi Irwin in your corner is like, you you feel like you could just climb Mount Everest. Seriously, like, she is the goat. And I I know after she she had a a her chat with you, you've got her and you've got us in your corner always, mate, a hundred percent.

• 1:08:37Kylie Kelce?

Oh, I very much appreciate that.

• 1:08:39Speaker 03

You got us on your side.

• 1:08:41Kylie Kelce?

Uh, it is an absolute honor to speak to both of you. I will say my last question for you is something that I also asked Bindi. Uh, what is the easiest way for people at home to support wildlife conservation?

• 1:08:53Speaker 03

Oh, I I love this. And this, because people see wildlife conservation so often as this huge insurmountable.

• 1:09:02Speaker 03

Thing. I mean, how do I save the world when I'm one person? The first thing I say is, which again, my sister says so eloquently, believe in your own strength to change the world. You know, you have to first and foremost, you've got to unite. We all need to unite together and realize our own power to make a difference. And it starts very small. I think if, if you are an adult and you've got kids in your life, I think probably the most important thing is instilling a sense of passion and responsibility for the natural world within the young people in your life. Because our next generation, they're going to be the ones that are going to save this world a hundred percent

• 1:09:44Speaker 03

and start volunteering, volunteer, volunteer, volunteer. Get out there and just start pursuing that passion. And slowly but surely, you'll inspire people and you'll snowball that, you know, so to make a short story long, there you go. And do you notice what happened? See how my light just went off? I'm saving power by conserving my, by conserving power. I just turned my light off. And that's another thing that you can do at home. Boom.

• 1:10:12Kylie Kelce?

  Nailed it.

• 1:10:13Speaker 03

Thank you. Thank you. I meant for that to happen.

• 1:10:17Kylie Kelce?

I cannot thank you enough for chatting today.

• 1:10:23Kylie Kelce?

Congratulations on your recent win. You can check out Wildlife Warriors and all the incredible work Robert and the entire Irwin family is doing. You can also go to wildlifewarriors.org to donate. Thank you so much. This has been incredible.

• 1:10:40Speaker 03

Honestly, it's just been amazing. But, but my sister just spoke so incredibly highly of you and thinks the world of you. So do I. We, we appreciate you so much. And, and honestly, it is 100% genuine. When you come to Australia, we're feeding a croc, we're meeting a koala and a wombat. It's all happening.

• 1:11:02Kylie Kelce?

This is gonna be too much.

• 1:11:03Speaker 03

Mate, it's gonna happen. You're the best. Thank you.

• 1:11:06Kylie Kelce?

Thank you so much. I really, I cannot tell you how much I appreciate it. And I will tell you, my, my parents, when I, after I got to talk to Bendy, were like, I'm so proud of you for not crying.

• 1:11:20Speaker 03

  That is really sweet.

• 1:11:24Kylie Kelce?

Because they know, kids used to come home from school and put on MTV, watch like TRL, Countdown, all that stuff. I was in there. It was Channel 41. I was in there. It was me and Animal Planet.

• 1:11:37Speaker 03

I love that so much. Oh, I love that so much.

• 1:11:41Kylie Kelce?

So I, I feel very, very privileged to get to speak to you and Bindi and I'm so grateful that you came on as our season finale because I feel like it was the perfect timing coming off of your big win and I'm so excited to continue the conversation of Wildlife Warriors and making sure that people know the mission and know how to support. Thank you so much.

• 1:12:04Speaker 03

Thank you for being a wildlife warrior yourself. Thank you.

• 1:12:07Kylie Kelce?

Always, always. In my khaki. And that's a wrap on this episode and this first season of Not Gonna Lie.
