• 1:06Connor Wood?

  Okay.

• 1:07Brooke Averick?

  All right.

• 1:07Connor Wood?

  You're okay.

• 1:08Brooke Averick?

  All right.

• 1:09Connor Wood?

  I'm ready.

• 1:10Brooke Averick?

  Ready.

• 1:11Connor Wood?

  On a personal level.

• 1:29Connor Wood?

Hey, little girl. Whoa, hang on, I don't want to start like that.

• 1:31Brooke Averick?

  Just do it.

• 1:33Connor Wood?

  Okay, hey, little girl.

• 1:34Brooke Averick?

  Hi.

• 1:35Connor Wood?

How, how, how old are you?

• 1:36Brooke Averick?

I feel like it has been a lifetime and a half since I've seen you last.

• 1:41Connor Wood?

I don't know where to begin and I don't know where to end.

• 1:44Brooke Averick?

I'm really confused because didn't we talk about Cannes together?

• 1:48Connor Wood?

  No, just like texted.

• 1:51Brooke Averick?

We, I was asking you how it was on this podcast.

• 1:55Connor Wood?

I don't believe you were. I don't believe you were. Were you?

• 1:59Brooke Averick?

I definitely was. Did you go from Cannes to everywhere you were just all over the globe in?

• 2:05Connor Wood?

  Oh, hell, yeah.

• 2:06Brooke Averick?

So that doesn't make sense then. What was the episode before I recorded with Lindsay?

• 2:12Connor Wood?

I think I was getting, we recorded twice that week, remember? And then we released it.

• 2:17Brooke Averick?

Yeah. So I'm very confused. But it's amazing to see you.

• 2:21Connor Wood?

Likewise, it is amazing to see you.

• 2:25Connor Wood?

Yeah, I, I, how, how, how, how have things been?

• 2:31Brooke Averick?

  What a fabulous question.

• 2:34Connor Wood?

  Load me up.

• 2:35Brooke Averick?

Things have been pretty great. I have had a pretty uneventful few weeks, I would say, which I imagine is the opposite of you,

• 2:46Brooke Averick?

Mr. Europe. So I'd really love to hear a little bit about what you've gone through. Because you seems like every time I saw you blast out on social media, you seem to be in a different country.

• 2:59Connor Wood?

  Brooke?

• 3:00Brooke Averick?

Couldn't keep track of your, your ass, your gorgeous ass.

• 3:03Connor Wood?

My ass was like, so I like legit just went on a post grad trip, like I, someone from high school texted me, he was like, this is, you're doing the thing that like you do when you graduate high school, by the way. Like I was genuinely like, I took like a gap year just now.

• 3:16Brooke Averick?

You, you were on a gap year.

• 3:18Connor Wood?

It was. Brooke, I felt like Dua Lipa. Brooke, I felt like Dua Lipa.

• 3:24Brooke Averick?

You were, you were Dua Lipa.

• 3:26Connor Wood?

  I was

• 3:28Connor Wood?

just, I feel chipper. I'm like, seriously, like I feel recharged for the first, like I'm coming back and I'm just like, wow.

• 3:35Brooke Averick?

Are you like, I hate being back or you're happy to be back?

• 3:39Connor Wood?

Two things. It's like, one, you feel like, I feel like everyone, like nothing matters. You come back here and it's like, oh, like

• 3:48Connor Wood?

everything is so big and beautiful. And

• 3:51Brooke Averick?

  The world?

• 3:52Connor Wood?

  Yeah.

• 3:53Brooke Averick?

  Yeah.

• 3:55Connor Wood?

I feel, yeah. I feel good. It was amazing. It was the coolest trip ever. I like have never, I definitely since doing this, but like rarely in my life ever have I just like gone on like a trip with like no alter, like ulterior motive. You know, usually it's like

• 4:14Brooke Averick?

  Was it like vacation Connor?

• 4:16Connor Wood?

It was like a vacation, Brooke. That's exactly what I was trying to get to.

• 4:19Brooke Averick?

  Yeah, sounds like it.

• 4:20Connor Wood?

It is crazy how there is a word for things that I tried to describe.

• 4:22Brooke Averick?

  Yeah.

• 4:24Connor Wood?

Yeah, it was like a vacation, Brooke. Yeah. I got my screen time down to an hour and a half. Yeah.

• 4:30Brooke Averick?

  I could never.

• 4:31Connor Wood?

It was, Brooke, it was amazing.

• 4:33Brooke Averick?

Yeah. How, can I ask how long you were gone?

• 4:36Connor Wood?

I left on the 20th and I got back the 6th. So like two, over, a little over three weeks. 20th, 10 plus 6, 16.

• 4:47Brooke Averick?

But there's a little extra from like 31.

• 4:51Connor Wood?

Oh, so 17. Almost three weeks. Just about going on.

• 4:55Brooke Averick?

Actually, how many days does June have? Doesn't matter.

• 4:59Connor Wood?

Five of those was Cannes. And that was work. Even though it was, it was fun, but it was definitely work.

• 5:04Brooke Averick?

What is Cannes like? Cause I don't have a is it all influencers? I don't get it. Like I thought this whole time everyone was going to the film festival.

• 5:14Connor Wood?

This, the film festival is right before and then they let like they let all the kids in.

• 5:20Brooke Averick?

  Uh huh.

• 5:21Connor Wood?

You know, I think this was the biggest year that they've had like a lot of like creators come and it's like a marketing convention. It seriously like could take place in Vegas.

• 5:29Brooke Averick?

  Okay.

• 5:30Connor Wood?

But it's like where it's, it's where you do if anyone doesn't know, I kind of learned what it was after. Cause there's, you're meeting with a lot of people, but a lot of people, like if you live in LA and you don't make it out to New York, like you will see these people that you've been trying to meet in Cannes, because everybody goes that's in like the marketing or like talent space. They all go there and they, it's, it's essentially just like chatting and going to like talks about the creator economy and how brands can be involved. It was like, it was all

• 6:01Brooke Averick?

  That sounds hot.

• 6:01Connor Wood?

  creators. It was 98 degrees.

• 6:05Brooke Averick?

  Um, yeah.

• 6:06Connor Wood?

And you're like outside and it's also weird like being right next to the ocean, but you have no time to-

• 6:12Brooke Averick?

You can't go in it. Oh, you didn't have any time to dip?

• 6:16Connor Wood?

At like 6pm every day, I would like run down and jump in and then I had to run home and change and go back to stuff, but it was like, they're just like edging us, you know? Like, we're just like looking at the ocean, but we have shoes and socks on.

• 6:30Brooke Averick?

I saw you let a few panels.

• 6:33Connor Wood?

  I had two panels.

• 6:34Brooke Averick?

  What were they?

• 6:36Connor Wood?

I got to talk to our friends at PepsiCo about the Doritos deal that you and I did and it was amazing.

• 6:40Brooke Averick?

Really? What was there to say?

• 6:43Connor Wood?

Well, there was a lot to say because when, well, also I talked about Dylan and I doing a Super Bowl commercial with Doritos and about how they like spent their Super Bowl budget like on me and Dylan and they were like, "Do a Super Bowl commercial" and they didn't like, they were just like, "We trust you. Do it." And I was like, "Oh, that's a lot of pressure." But it worked and we like, you know, you're just like, I was like so excited about that, that we like worked hard. And it was like, it is fascinating for people that like don't do what we do every single day. They're like, "Oh, I didn't think about like trusting..." You know, because sometimes we get a brand deal and it's like, "You really want me to read this verbatim?" Or like say XYZ, it's like not gonna, people are gonna like, "Hate this shit, this bullshit."

• 7:28Connor Wood?

And so just like telling them that, it was like eye-opening for them, but I was like, "Oh, I didn't realize that this is like groundbreaking info." Anyways, that was it. I got to see Brittany. We recorded a little episode in Cannes with Brittany Brooke, who by the way, I was scrolling yesterday and there's like a huge Dune, like for the new Dune movie. There's like a huge, like moderated event and I'm scrolling and it's like Christopher Nolan and blah, blah, blah and Zendaya moderated by Brittany Brooke.

• 7:57Brooke Averick?

  No, Brittany is that girl.

• 8:00Connor Wood?

It was amazing. And Mickey came on for a little bit too. We did a second episode with Mickey.

• 8:07Brooke Averick?

  I don't think I know Mickey.

• 8:09Connor Wood?

You need to meet her. She's a lovely woman.

• 8:12Brooke Averick?

  She seems very lovely.

• 8:13Connor Wood?

It was amazing. Saw Henry, obviously, but then left Cannes and I don't-

• 8:22Connor Wood?

Do I do this whole, do you want me to walk you through the whole thing?

• 8:24Brooke Averick?

I do, cuz I really don't even know where you were.

• 8:27Connor Wood?

  Well, I took like-

• 8:28Brooke Averick?

  And who were you with?

• 8:30Connor Wood?

  Well, get this.

• 8:31Brooke Averick?

  Trying to.

• 8:31Connor Wood?

I took like that week, that following week, I just blocked it. And I was like, if no one else is doing anything, I'm just gonna figure out like a train and I'll take the train around like France for a week.

• 8:44Brooke Averick?

  Yeah.

• 8:44Connor Wood?

Great. Um, and then like, talking with people there, they were like, oh, I'm doing this, I'm doing this, I'm doing this. So like for two days, we went down to this antique, which is like, south or north of Cannes. And it was like actual beaches and like restaurants and things and it was like open and there was no like riffraff. And then I went with my friend Kai, have you met Kai?

• 9:02Brooke Averick?

  No.

• 9:04Connor Wood?

He was going out to the Dolomites, to the mountains, to hike for two days.

• 9:07Brooke Averick?

  What country is that in?

• 9:09Connor Wood?

  Italy.

• 9:09Brooke Averick?

  Okay.

• 9:10Connor Wood?

So, took, I can't remember if we took a car or what, got on his itinerary. Went to Italy, to the mountains, to the nicest, Brooke, the nicest hotel I've ever been in in my life.

• 9:24Connor Wood?

Unbelievable. Walk into the room- Brooke, I can't even like-

• 9:29Brooke Averick?

I'm picturing a tub that overlooking the mountains.

• 9:31Connor Wood?

There's zero way for me to put into words how nice this hotel was. Like, they all know your name when you, it was like White Lotus, like they know you're coming. Your, all your, like preference, like the dinner is like at a certain, it's like a cruise, kinda like where dinners like all come out and they like-

• 9:48Brooke Averick?

  Uh huh.

• 9:49Connor Wood?

Know when you're coming. So, and it's like, it was, had the nicest like infinity pool in the Dol- like, Brooke, the hills were fucking alive. It was amazing.

• 9:59Brooke Averick?

Did you like spend a, a small fortune?

• 10:02Connor Wood?

I haven't gotten my bill yet.

• 10:04Brooke Averick?

  That's none of your business.

• 10:07Connor Wood?

Yeah, I'm looking forward to it. Now-

• 10:09Brooke Averick?

  I worry.

• 10:10Connor Wood?

I worry, I think. I think about it often.

• 10:13Brooke Averick?

  I do worry.

• 10:15Connor Wood?

I do worry as well. So, but I did live it up, so like whatever it ends up being-

• 10:22Connor Wood?

  It's a vacation.

• 10:23Brooke Averick?

You can't put a price on a vacation.

• 10:25Connor Wood?

You can't put a... There are some things money can-

• 10:28Brooke Averick?

It does seem like this one would have a higher one than a different one if you could put a price on it, which you can't.

• 10:33Connor Wood?

You can, you can, and you will. They will put a price on it. It will be... It will be weighing heavily on my chest.

• 10:41Brooke Averick?

Let us know the exact number when you get it.

• 10:43Connor Wood?

  I might. I might.

• 10:46Brooke Averick?

It's good to be transparent about those things.

• 10:48Connor Wood?

  My nose starts bleeding.

• 10:53Connor Wood?

So I go into this room, and I'm like... And this woman is German, because we're in like a German area of the Dolomites. And the Italian Alps.

• 11:00Brooke Averick?

I've even heard of the Dolomites.

• 11:03Connor Wood?

Stop me if I'm going too fast.

• 11:05Brooke Averick?

No, no, no, you're going the exact right speed, honey.

• 11:07Connor Wood?

Okay, so I walk in this room, and this German woman is like, "Well, you..." I don't know the German. I'm gonna try. But it's like very... They're very like... "You're okay." Like, "You're okay." Like, you don't... And I was like, "Um... It's very hot in here, no?" Because it was very much hot, like a sauna. Like, eighty... I'm talking eighty-two. And she goes, "Well, the... It's a... It's a green hotel. The AC turns on at 6:30 PM. Until then, there's no AC, but you can open the door." I said, "It is ninety-four out, though." So what exactly would that do? And she was just kind of like, "Well, you're welcome to open the door." And I was like, "Okay, well, thank you for that invite."

• 11:50Connor Wood?

And so I was just like, "Okay, I won't spend any time in the room anyways." And about 6:30 comes around. And I go to the thermostat. And it only goes... I don't know Celsius still, but it only went down to two. It went... It was set at something? And it only went down two? And I... I did the translation. Celsius to Fahrenheit. And it went down to eighty. That was what they were giving me. And so I walked downstairs, and I said, "I think my air conditioning is broken. It only goes down two." And they go, "That is what it goes down to." And... But they said, "You are welcome to open your door." So I go-

• 12:28Connor Wood?

Okay, this is one of those things where you make it work. Cause there is no option. So I, I, I was going to have to understand because I had to.

• 12:38Brooke Averick?

  Yeah.

• 12:39Connor Wood?

And so I go, I'll open the door, Brooke. I open the door. A bat flies in my room.

• 12:46Brooke Averick?

  Oh.

• 12:47Connor Wood?

  A bat.

• 12:48Brooke Averick?

  Some are very cute.

• 12:50Connor Wood?

I couldn't see it was moving so fast, wall to wall, bat, bat, bat. Those, that kind of thing, like, I'm saying bat right now. I'm not terrified of bats. Bat in my room?

• 13:00Brooke Averick?

  Not your preference.

• 13:02Connor Wood?

I didn't love bat in my room, 82 degree room.

• 13:04Brooke Averick?

  Yeah.

• 13:05Connor Wood?

I didn't love the bat in my room. And so I'm kind of, well, I'm kind of like shoe, shoe, shoeing it out. But then I ended up sleeping on the ground on the tile in my bathroom.

• 13:15Brooke Averick?

  Ooh, that sounds nice.

• 13:16Connor Wood?

I couldn't know. It was cold on my back. I was lying on the floor because it was the only option and I slept with a towel at my expensive hotel that will probably,

• 13:27Connor Wood?

I'll probably be, I'll probably be thinking about that for a while. Like whatever the cost ends up being and how I slept on the ground in the bathroom because there was a bat in my 82 degree room.

• 13:35Brooke Averick?

  Yeah.

• 13:36Connor Wood?

  That'll be a thing.

• 13:37Brooke Averick?

You should get a rabies shot. You slept with the bat?

• 13:40Connor Wood?

No, I went and shut the door to the bathroom and I slept in the bathroom because I couldn't, I didn't see if it went out or not.

• 13:44Brooke Averick?

  The bat took the primary?

• 13:47Connor Wood?

  Yes.

• 13:47Brooke Averick?

  Okay.

• 13:48Connor Wood?

Anyways, I know I should get a rabies shot anyway because I'm always doing stuff like that.

• 13:52Brooke Averick?

It just sucks with rabies because like, once you start the symptoms, like you, you will die.

• 13:57Connor Wood?

Someone just got rabies and died.

• 13:59Brooke Averick?

  Yeah, that's what happens.

• 14:01Connor Wood?

Yeah. Okay, so we, the next morning,

• 14:06Connor Wood?

I, I soft launch, hey, I need to leave here immediately to Kai, who I was with, and he was like, I've already, because we're gonna stay at a different hotel, like down the way with different hikes and stuff, for two more days, I said, I actually need to leave pretty expeditiously.

• 14:20Brooke Averick?

  Yeah.

• 14:21Connor Wood?

And he was on, he was on board. So we leave and we go to this little German town down the way, but which was closer because we were going to Milan. And there's nothing really eventful that happened in this little German town. Uh, besides the AC did go out there too, so I slept in the hallway there.

• 14:35Brooke Averick?

Oh, I saw that. That looked very cozy.

• 14:38Connor Wood?

Brooke, I want to circle back. I actually put it in my notes. I want to circle back to that after this.

• 14:43Brooke Averick?

  Okay.

• 14:43Connor Wood?

Cause I have to get this all out.

• 14:44Brooke Averick?

You know, I slept in the hallway for over a year, or two, maybe two years as a kid.

• 14:50Connor Wood?

I want to hear about that.

• 14:51Brooke Averick?

  In a sleeping bag.

• 14:53Connor Wood?

Okay, can we put a pin in that specific conversation?

• 14:58Connor Wood?

Okay, so the next day, we get word that Mac DeMarco is playing. I don't know if you know Mac.

• 15:04Brooke Averick?

Heard the name. I've heard the name.

• 15:06Connor Wood?

He's a lovely man. I think Meghan would, is probably a fan of Mac DeMarco. If that kind of like, yeah, if that kind of like paints a picture. And I'm a huge Mac DeMarco fan. It was like, since, since I had the ability to download a song, like, not Napster, but like iTunes, I guess. I've been listening to Mac and we finagled tickets to the Mac DeMarco show like in the front, in Milan. And I like Milan a lot. I had the best meal of my life and then went to Mac DeMarco and I was like, this is amazing. And then we woke up the next day and went to Ibiza. And I randomly had like, like six different groups of friends that were in Ibiza.

• 15:49Connor Wood?

And there are good ways and there are bad ways to do Ibiza.

• 15:53Brooke Averick?

  Yeah.

• 15:55Connor Wood?

We started with the bad way.

• 15:56Brooke Averick?

  Okay.

• 15:58Connor Wood?

  And because.

• 15:59Brooke Averick?

  What's the bad way?

• 16:04Brooke Averick?

  How you say.

• 16:07Connor Wood?

There's an area that is like very much

• 16:11Connor Wood?

Jersey Shore, the show. Except it's like, British people.

• 16:17Brooke Averick?

  Got it.

• 16:19Connor Wood?

And like, not British in general, like this certain type of British.

• 16:23Brooke Averick?

  Like Love Island?

• 16:25Connor Wood?

No, like Jersey Shore, UK. Gem, tan, laundry.

• 16:31Brooke Averick?

  Ibiza's in Spain though, right?

• 16:33Connor Wood?

Yes, it's very easy to get to, to from the UK.

• 16:37Brooke Averick?

Okay, I obviously have no concept.

• 16:39Connor Wood?

I'm saying that because I heard it.

• 16:41Brooke Averick?

  That goes without saying.

• 16:42Connor Wood?

I, I've just, I heard someone say that, so I've just been repeating it.

• 16:44Brooke Averick?

  Fine to do.

• 16:48Connor Wood?

So hung out in Ibiza for a couple of days. Um, I'm trying to think if there was something else in this little portion that I wanted to tell you.

• 16:59Connor Wood?

Hmm, no, there's nothing. It was just like an amazing trip. I danced my ass off. I'm like loving dancing lately. Maybe it's because my screen time is lower now that like now I'm remembering like you are allowed to move when you're out. And Brooke, I did three days in a row where I went to a club. Granted, two days, two of the days I I had to excuse myself and just say, I can't do this. But the third day, I stayed out till five in the morning at a club dancing.

• 17:29Brooke Averick?

  Wow.

• 17:30Connor Wood?

It was amazing. It was like changed my life. I'm serious.

• 17:32Brooke Averick?

  That's awesome.

• 17:35Connor Wood?

Yeah, there's much hate in this world, but not in that room.

• 17:38Brooke Averick?

I love that. I love that you were spreading love in that room.

• 17:41Connor Wood?

We went and saw Dom Dalla, who will probably never cross your desk, but I would love to at some point sit down with you and maybe show you his catalog.

• 17:48Brooke Averick?

  Okay.

• 17:49Connor Wood?

I think you would, he was this someone from his team like invited us to come up to his green room and we were hanging out with him before the show. He's coming to New York. They've invited us to come to the, he was just the sweetest, coolest guy. And then we had an amazing show and I'm running into people in the club in Ibiza at four in the morning that I know from like Venice. It was so weird.

• 18:11Brooke Averick?

  Small world, isn't it?

• 18:12Connor Wood?

Very, it gets smaller as we age.

• 18:14Brooke Averick?

  Yeah.

• 18:15Connor Wood?

So at this point, my friend Tyler has come, our friend Tyler has come and joined us in our Airbnb and we're all in there and I like could not go home at this point. I was like, I can't believe that this is coming, this is wrapping up.

• 18:33Connor Wood?

And time for me to go to my apartment, which I need to talk about.

• 18:37Brooke Averick?

  Yeah.

• 18:38Connor Wood?

  Like, pretty bad.

• 18:39Brooke Averick?

  Yeah, I'd love to hear.

• 18:40Connor Wood?

As I tell you, this amazing story about Ibiza, my bathroom's flooding, Brooke.

• 18:44Brooke Averick?

  Yeah.

• 18:45Connor Wood?

  In real time.

• 18:46Brooke Averick?

  In real time.

• 18:46Connor Wood?

  There's a puddle.

• 18:47Brooke Averick?

  Yeah.

• 18:47Connor Wood?

There's a puddle. I left, I left the puddle there.

• 18:50Brooke Averick?

  Yeah.

• 18:50Connor Wood?

And it was growing. So, we, Tyler is on his way to meet his friends in Copenhagen and I go, "Let me just like check the flights Copenhagen to New York, because if that's easy..." It was. It was an easy flight to Copenhagen. I went to Copenhagen for two days. I talk about Vancouver so much. Copenhagen, neck and neck. It was the coolest city, Brooke. You would love Copenhagen.

• 19:14Brooke Averick?

No, that, that's the part of your trip that looked like I would want to go on.

• 19:19Connor Wood?

It was so, so dreamy. Like, right in the city, it's all biking and swimming.

• 19:27Brooke Averick?

I liked the concept of biking.

• 19:29Connor Wood?

We biked everywhere and it was so bikeable and it was like, "You're going over these rivers and you're back and forth and everyone's on pikes and..." We went and got great food and we had wine and we swam. It was just like, you're joking, you know? This is here, this has been here the whole time.

• 19:45Brooke Averick?

  Wow.

• 19:46Connor Wood?

  Oh, okay. Oh, okay.

• 19:51Brooke Averick?

  Okay.

• 21:21Connor Wood?

  Got it.

• 21:22Brooke Averick?

Wow, well, I'm glad you had the summer of a lifetime. And it's only July 7th. And you know what? Make that July 8th even.

• 21:31Connor Wood?

  Wow. I had no idea.

• 21:33Brooke Averick?

  Yeah.

• 21:36Connor Wood?

Well, and that's, that's really that. I'm looking forward to my, my bills coming through, but.

• 21:41Brooke Averick?

  I am too.

• 21:42Connor Wood?

Yeah. I'll send them, I'll send them your way.

• 21:45Brooke Averick?

  Please do. I'm so curious.

• 21:48Connor Wood?

I know. I was budgeting, I was budgeting elsewhere for this trip. So I think that it will, it will all, it will all come out in the wash.

• 21:56Brooke Averick?

It will all even out in the red?

• 21:59Connor Wood?

It will all come out in the wash, girl.

• 22:01Brooke Averick?

It will all come out in the red. I agree.

• 22:03Connor Wood?

No, don't say that. Stop saying that. I'm scared.

• 22:07Connor Wood?

Oh, Lord, God, I don't even want to know because my flight home was.

• 22:14Brooke Averick?

Come on, give us a number.

• 22:16Connor Wood?

It was more than I would have liked to spend, but.

• 22:20Connor Wood?

I did have to, like a.

• 22:21Brooke Averick?

  You had to get home.

• 22:23Connor Wood?

I hit the ground running here. I had to move into my apartment, so I did have to lay down flat.

• 22:27Brooke Averick?

  Yeah.

• 22:28Connor Wood?

  From Copenhagen to JFK.

• 22:30Brooke Averick?

Yeah, you had to lie down flat. I don't see another way.

• 22:34Connor Wood?

My tubes were tied. I had to lay down.

• 22:36Brooke Averick?

  Yeah, yeah.

• 22:38Connor Wood?

Uh, well, that's it. I mean, that's like truly, that is it for me. And if I never go on another trip, that's fine. I really, I did my big one and I feel good about what I did out there and I left it all on the field with my boys.

• 22:49Brooke Averick?

  That's great.

• 22:51Connor Wood?

  Yeah.

• 22:51Brooke Averick?

  Thank you for sharing.

• 22:52Connor Wood?

  Blessed be the fruit.

• 22:53Brooke Averick?

  Blessed be.

• 22:54Connor Wood?

  Thank you, the can.

• 22:55Brooke Averick?

Thank you, the can. Do you think you'll go back to Cannes?

• 23:00Connor Wood?

It was very much a lot and I just want to recommend that you never go.

• 23:03Brooke Averick?

  Okay. No, I wasn't. I don't think that we're a match.

• 23:07Connor Wood?

No, I mean, it was a lot.

• 23:09Brooke Averick?

It seems very business-y, which is just something that I've never personally been drawn to.

• 23:13Connor Wood?

  It was very.

• 23:14Brooke Averick?

Like, I've never networked. I don't think I've ever networked, which like, maybe that's a privilege. But it's just not like an ability that I have. Cause networking to me is the same as small talk. It's just like, "Not gonna happen, champion. Appreciate you, though."

• 23:27Connor Wood?

I would go to, like, if there was a bar and the theme was networking, like, I'd go there every night.

• 23:33Brooke Averick?

I know. You are Connor Networking Wood.

• 23:37Connor Wood?

  Can I say something?

• 23:38Brooke Averick?

  What?

• 23:38Connor Wood?

That I know, I know people are gonna be

• 23:42Connor Wood?

upset with me if I say this.

• 23:44Brooke Averick?

  Okay.

• 23:45Connor Wood?

I just want to say it. Like, I have, we have different jobs, obviously, but like, I was walking down south here and I walked past a happy hour and everyone had a suit and tie on and the girls had their, like, corporate dresses on and they were wearing lanyards and I said, "I want that." And so I'm gonna put my suit on one day and I'm gonna go to happy hour and act like I worked.

• 24:03Brooke Averick?

I've never wanted suit and lanyard, but I have wanted desk job, you know that.

• 24:08Connor Wood?

  Yes, I know that.

• 24:09Brooke Averick?

  Yeah.

• 24:09Connor Wood?

But like, there is such a beautiful, beautiful harmony in happy hour with your coworkers. Like, let your fucking hair down and put your lan- take your lanyard off, stay a while.

• 24:20Brooke Averick?

Yeah. No, I'll go to the same happy hour as you after my desk job.

• 24:25Connor Wood?

Brooke, I would love, and this is gonna, it feels like we're LARPing, but like,

• 24:31Connor Wood?

  I want to LARP you.

• 24:33Brooke Averick?

No, I really want, I do want to work in publishing in my other life.

• 24:37Connor Wood?

You would be, you would be good.

• 24:39Brooke Averick?

I don't know if I would be good, but

• 24:41Connor Wood?

  Publisher.

• 24:42Brooke Averick?

Still, I like the, the idea of you.

• 24:45Connor Wood?

Yeah, I like the beat. I do, I am, I am truly like, maybe I'll vlog it. I'm gonna put on my suit and tie and I'm gonna go to one of these happy hours when it cools down. I can't imagine putting on it.

• 24:54Brooke Averick?

  When it cools down.

• 24:55Connor Wood?

  A three-piece right now.

• 24:56Brooke Averick?

  Yeah.

• 24:57Connor Wood?

  Bless your heart. But, um...

• 25:00Brooke Averick?

  I was in Florida.

• 25:02Connor Wood?

  Yeah, I saw that.

• 25:03Brooke Averick?

Which is different than Europe. But not by much.

• 25:06Connor Wood?

No, Fort Lauderdale's very similar to Nice.

• 25:09Brooke Averick?

Totally. I was in the, I was very far north on the Gulf where the water is hot and clear in an amazing way.

• 25:17Connor Wood?

  Yeah, I'm, I'm...

• 25:20Brooke Averick?

  I love that water.

• 25:21Connor Wood?

  It's great.

• 25:22Brooke Averick?

And like, no one from, you know about Seaside?

• 25:27Connor Wood?

  Yeah.

• 25:28Brooke Averick?

  30A?

• 25:29Connor Wood?

  Yeah.

• 25:29Brooke Averick?

Because no one like for like in the Northeast, like my parents had like never heard of it. No one, I had never heard of it growing up. Oh, right, right, right, right. Like it's not somewhere that Northerners know, like it has been gatecaps completely. And it's just really the best place. Uh, yeah, so it was Patrick, yeah, Patrick's family.

• 25:50Connor Wood?

Yeah, Patrick knows because he's from Texas too. Like that is the like, spring break with your family.

• 25:56Brooke Averick?

  Yes.

• 25:56Connor Wood?

  Trip.

• 25:57Brooke Averick?

I just really didn't know about it until a few years ago. It's just remarkable.

• 26:01Connor Wood?

  Where they filmed Truman Show.

• 26:02Brooke Averick?

  Exactly. It is that picturesque.

• 26:05Connor Wood?

It's a little unsettling, but it is like completely like you have died.

• 26:10Brooke Averick?

It is. It really is remarkable. Um, it was fun. Something happened. I've always, you know, since I was a little girl, been kind of, uh, in tune with,

• 26:26Brooke Averick?

  I guess the manifestation space.

• 26:28Connor Wood?

  Yeah.

• 26:29Brooke Averick?

You know, I, I've been manifesting since I was really a, a, a young girl and we've seen that happen in live time. Um, I do, I think, I don't think I'm full witch, but there's something there that is not in everyone, I think, not to toot my own horn. I did something that like would maybe was the most witchy of all this trip.

• 26:53Connor Wood?

Do I know anything about what you're gonna say or no?

• 26:56Brooke Averick?

  No.

• 26:57Connor Wood?

  Wow.

• 26:57Brooke Averick?

I don't think, yeah, not at all.

• 27:00Connor Wood?

  Cool.

• 27:00Brooke Averick?

We were out to dinner. They gave us crayons and a white sheet as our tablecloth. So I'm playing Mash. I'm mashing everybody at the table.

• 27:10Connor Wood?

  True.

• 27:11Brooke Averick?

So I mash our friend Alexa. And I gave her four options for a husband. Okay? And if, if you guys don't know what Mash is, it's basically like you build your perfect life. You pick a few choices and then you, you narrow everything down at the end. Um, so I gave her four options, too bad, husband options, which I won't say because it's mean. And too good, um, which were Joe Burrow and Vince Vaughn. Both like kind of random, but like people I know Alexa likes.

• 27:45Connor Wood?

  Sure.

• 27:46Brooke Averick?

Um, I forget who she ended up with. I want to say Vince. I want to say Vince.

• 27:51Connor Wood?

  Sure.

• 27:51Brooke Averick?

Lucky girl. Then we go home. Patty, Patrick's mom, says, "Oh, Vince Vaughn and Joe Burrow are in Seaside." Which is where we were. And we were like, "Ha ha, good one." And she was like, "What do you mean, 'good one'?" And we were like, because of the mash, like, very funny. And she was like, "What is mash?" And then we realized, like, she wasn't sitting near us at all at dinner.

• 28:24Connor Wood?

  Did you scream?

• 28:25Brooke Averick?

  What?

• 28:26Connor Wood?

  Did you scream?

• 28:27Brooke Averick?

We were like, "Wait, what are you talking about?" She hands us her phone. She's in the 38 Facebook group, where someone has reported that Joe and Vince, separate entities, have been spotted in Seaside.

• 28:42Brooke Averick?

I, when I tell you, like, it was really just like the most random thing, me putting them down on mash. Like, I had no clue that those two young men, like, were anywhere near us. And then for them to be in the vicinity was really, really jarring. Is that not so weird?

• 29:04Connor Wood?

No, it's like, hard to believe.

• 29:06Brooke Averick?

It's hard to believe. I was really like, it made me think, like, I need to be really careful. I need to be really careful with what I write down.

• 29:17Connor Wood?

  True.

• 29:17Brooke Averick?

Yeah. So that really freaked me out. So I'm looking forward to hopefully, like, some more things that we've manifested coming true. Now that I feel like my abilities are maybe heightening with age.

• 29:28Connor Wood?

I, I think that they're getting stronger. I would love if you did one or two for me.

• 29:31Brooke Averick?

  I know. I, I have been, I have been.

• 29:34Connor Wood?

  I mean, you're, you're manifesting two powerful.

• 29:36Brooke Averick?

What do you want, baby? What do you want? I'll give it to you.

• 29:38Connor Wood?

Well, I, I'll text you. I'll send you a text.

• 29:40Brooke Averick?

  Okay.

• 29:40Connor Wood?

Um, maybe write it down on a white tablecloth. That seemed to be very a proven method. You're manifesting two very, very powerful men to marry one of your good friends, and I, I'm slept in the bathroom with a bat. Like, this is not the same level of...

• 29:56Brooke Averick?

I mean, I, I just like, I have manifested a lot for myself, I guess, but like, I do wonder, like, why that one piece is kind of not, maybe it will, it will come to fruition, because it has to.

• 30:10Connor Wood?

  Yeah, it'll understand.

• 30:11Brooke Averick?

  Who cares? Genuinely.

• 30:14Connor Wood?

Speaking of like magic, I I'm gonna go into this really quick, like there's, there's a much larger piece at play here. Um, I know I said a while, I'm gonna talk about my apartment.

• 30:24Brooke Averick?

Yeah, I wanna hear about it.

• 30:26Connor Wood?

There's, I know I said a while ago, do I get the place that's kind of a little more sterile, but it's 100% AC? Doorman, it's a building? Or do I get the place with character? And I said, I'm going character.

• 30:39Brooke Averick?

I don't think anyone would think for one second that you would choose the easy option. We knew you were going character.

• 30:49Connor Wood?

Due to unforeseen circumstances, I'm breaking my lease.

• 30:53Brooke Averick?

  Are you actually?

• 30:54Connor Wood?

  I'm breaking the lease.

• 30:55Brooke Averick?

  Are you, are you really?

• 30:56Connor Wood?

  It's on, it's, it's, it's on level, it's flooding. Like.

• 31:00Brooke Averick?

What is wrong? What is happening?

• 31:03Connor Wood?

One month, I'm breaking the, I'm, I have to, it's, it's, there's, they're constructing a school next door. And they start at 7 a.m. everyday hammers on my wall. It's like,

• 31:14Connor Wood?

I have to, I have to walk away from it. I have to. I have to.

• 31:20Connor Wood?

  I have to.

• 31:21Brooke Averick?

  Just because of the construction?

• 31:24Connor Wood?

No, there's, it's, it's ba, it's just a bad place. I really, I gave it my all for one day.

• 31:32Connor Wood?

  It's, it's hard and I really feel like I-

• 31:34Brooke Averick?

What happens if you break a lease?

• 31:37Connor Wood?

It's, it's going to, it's going to hit my, it's going to hit my credit score like the second building. It is going to be

• 31:46Connor Wood?

detrimental. But I have to put myself first, baby. I have to. I have to put myself first.

• 31:52Brooke Averick?

You have to put yourself in the red.

• 31:53Connor Wood?

I need to, I need to, it was just so hard coming back from Europe and then going to my hole, my hovel. I like literally yesterday walked past my old apartment and like, you know those Disney movies where like, they're not grateful, so they turn invisible and like they see their family and they're like, I'm grateful, I'm grateful, I'm grateful. I was standing outside of my apartment like, I'm grateful.

• 32:14Brooke Averick?

Do you wish you stayed there?

• 32:16Connor Wood?

  What?

• 32:16Brooke Averick?

Do you wish you stayed there?

• 32:18Connor Wood?

Yes, but also I had like a moment of clarity where I was like, you had to leave that behind. Like you do need to move forward. I moved underground, which that was a mistake and that should have been-

• 32:29Connor Wood?

I'm not a mole, like I need to live above ground. It's just, what was I thinking? You know? Um, a big like wake up call for me, it's like been raining for a couple of days in New York. And I guess that's probably where my toilet's flooding. It could be completely unrelated also, I have no idea. But it's been raining, so it's been like dark and crappy out. And I spent like the morning, and then I have to tell you about my morning. I spent the morning like walking around my apartment and I was like, oh, it's like so cozy in here that it's like, it's thunderstorming out and like, I'm in my little hole and like, this is actually nice. I walk outside, could not be a more glorious 80 degree morning. Sun's out, not a cloud in the sky. I thought it was thunderstorming because of the leak. It was like leaking in my house.

• 33:13Connor Wood?

It was like completely like a Glenn Powell of a day. Like just sunny, perfect, smiling down on me. And I was like, oh, okay, I need to break my lease today.

• 33:22Brooke Averick?

  That's funny.

• 33:23Connor Wood?

So I'm, I'm gonna make, be making some calls when I, when I leave.

• 33:27Brooke Averick?

  It's always.

• 33:28Connor Wood?

But I, I was a little late for that because of the puddle, but I also, I was feeling a little off this morning. I went to the gym and I'm not gonna say my trainer's name yet because I don't wanna like already put him in the mix, even though I really, really F with him.

• 33:45Brooke Averick?

  Yeah.

• 33:46Connor Wood?

But um, he's, he really, he really, he really pushes me. And I said, I, I wanna be very clear with you, I have not gone to the gym in about three and a half, for almost four weeks. And he goes, that's okay, we'll take it easy. Um, I threw up.

• 34:04Brooke Averick?

  Period. Period.

• 34:09Connor Wood?

Yeah, I threw up. I had to excuse myself pretty much like after the warmup. That was all core and um, I went behind this wall to throw up outside. I was just like, I, I'm so sorry, like I must've eaten too close to coming to work out. I'm like really, it's hot and I'm sweating so much. And I get outside and I, I was under control, you know, like I'm looking around, there's no one here. And I finger my, what, a pull trigger? And I'm like, okay, I feel better. And I'm like, and like.

• 34:44Connor Wood?

Like, no one was hurt here. This is like a... No... What is it?

• 34:50Brooke Averick?

No one was harmed in the making of this?

• 34:52Connor Wood?

  Well, no, it's like a...

• 34:54Brooke Averick?

  No harm, no foul?

• 34:55Connor Wood?

No, victimless crime, you know, like... And I turned to my left, Brooke. Like, cycling class, all facing... It was like a... I was in front of a window. I was looking this way. There was a wall here. But there was a window, full cycling class facing the water, and I was out, like, on the river, pulling trug. They're facing me, so I had to...

• 35:16Brooke Averick?

If anyone understood, it's somebody in the middle of the...

• 35:19Connor Wood?

The cycling class, yeah. That, those... You would never know, like, a lot of the... Like, they're all in really good shape. But like, they don't... This is gonna... I probably shouldn't even finish this sentence, like... It's kind of an unassuming, incredible feat of athleticism that, like... People that walk among us, like, normal people are like, doing those classes regularly. It's unbelievable to be able to finish one of those classes.

• 35:44Brooke Averick?

I completely agree. I've done one in my life.

• 35:47Connor Wood?

  I gave up.

• 35:48Brooke Averick?

And that was the closest I've been to the light.

• 35:52Brooke Averick?

The only reason I made it through is because, like, the 40-minute mark, Castle on a Hill by Ed Sheeran came on.

• 35:59Connor Wood?

  Understand. Was it a remix?

• 36:00Brooke Averick?

And brought me a little bit closer, back down to earth.

• 36:03Connor Wood?

  Was it a remix?

• 36:05Brooke Averick?

  No, it was the regular.

• 36:07Connor Wood?

  Wow.

• 36:08Brooke Averick?

Yeah, I felt like I was cresting the hill.

• 36:12Connor Wood?

You are like, throwing out really good one-liners right now, in terms of, like, descriptions. Cresting the hill?

• 36:18Brooke Averick?

Yeah. Oh, I'm back. I'm completely back in my... in writing mode.

• 36:23Connor Wood?

Yeah, I forgot. How is that going?

• 36:26Brooke Averick?

  Uh...

• 36:28Brooke Averick?

Good. I don't know. It's hard because I haven't gotten any feedback yet, so I'm kind of just, like, going, and like, I think it's good, but for all I know, I could send it in and... And they could be like, "Start over," you know?

• 36:43Connor Wood?

  And that's okay.

• 36:43Brooke Averick?

  Yeah.

• 36:44Connor Wood?

  You can do that.

• 36:45Brooke Averick?

  Yeah, totally.

• 36:47Connor Wood?

  Oh, that's awesome.

• 36:48Brooke Averick?

We will see, but we are in motion.

• 36:52Connor Wood?

  Good.

• 36:55Speaker 00

• 38:23Brooke Averick?

  Yeah.

• 38:24Connor Wood?

  No time off.

• 38:25Brooke Averick?

No ti- oh, absolutely not. I would not want that.

• 38:28Connor Wood?

  No.

• 38:30Connor Wood?

Yeah, I'm, um... I'm kind of just over here. I guess we have something coming up next week.

• 38:36Brooke Averick?

  No, it's not next week.

• 38:38Connor Wood?

  Two weeks?

• 38:39Brooke Averick?

  Yeah.

• 38:40Connor Wood?

Oh yeah, it's not next week.

• 38:42Brooke Averick?

Um, we're going on a trip together. I'll say that about that.

• 38:46Connor Wood?

  Brooke is so excited.

• 38:47Brooke Averick?

No, I actually like truly like it will be so fun. I know that for a fact. Once we are there and I'm excited to be in this space with you. It is a it's a big travel day for me and then another one coming back and I've just just about hit hit my limit with that, but it's gonna be okay because it has to be. And it will be and I am genuinely excited now. I was just kind of panicking because I had just come off of a trap a really big travel day and

• 39:17Connor Wood?

  That's understandable.

• 39:19Brooke Averick?

And but now I'm fine. I'll be okay for for our thing, which will be extremely unique.

• 39:28Connor Wood?

  I'm excited personally.

• 39:30Brooke Averick?

I'm excited for once we got there.

• 39:33Connor Wood?

  Yeah.

• 39:33Brooke Averick?

I saw the invite last night.

• 39:36Connor Wood?

  Who's in that?

• 39:37Brooke Averick?

Seth Rogen, Olivia Wilde, she directed as well, Penelope Cruz, Ed Norton. Just four people.

• 39:46Connor Wood?

  It's not new.

• 39:47Brooke Averick?

  It's completely new.

• 39:49Connor Wood?

No, it's not. Those four people are together on a set in 2026?

• 39:54Brooke Averick?

  Completely.

• 39:56Connor Wood?

Wow. Maybe we are so bad.

• 39:59Brooke Averick?

  We are. It was fabulous.

• 40:03Connor Wood?

  Really?

• 40:04Brooke Averick?

I have to say, and I think like my past judgment of her was clouded by like the Don't Worry Darling drama and my own internalized misogyny, which I am working on tackling every single day.

• 40:16Connor Wood?

  Period.

• 40:17Brooke Averick?

Olivia Wilde is a talent. It was

• 40:21Connor Wood?

  Of course.

• 40:21Brooke Averick?

I never really noticed like the direction of a movie because I'm real I'm not a cinephile by any means, but it really was remarkable. And her acting was really, really incredible. So

• 40:31Connor Wood?

I know what I'm doing tonight.

• 40:32Brooke Averick?

She's not a new fan in me. I really think it was all four of their best performances.

• 40:38Connor Wood?

  Wow.

• 40:39Brooke Averick?

It was really good. And there was also something happening during the film that like as it was happening, I was like, I'm so excited to tell everybody this because it's the hardest I've laughed in a really long time, but it just doesn't translate, unfortunately, which I hate when that happens. It's just not funny like when I explain it. Basically, well, actually, at the beginning of the movie, lights are still on. Trailers just started. Everyone's like going to their seats filing in to the theater.

• 41:09Brooke Averick?

A guy turns to me, Sodi and Frankie and says, "Can you stop talking so I can watch the trailers?"

• 41:18Brooke Averick?

None of us respond. We all just look at the guy and his girlfriend is sitting next to him like so embarrassed, or wife, like he was an older person. And like, I can't stress enough, like, everybody who's in the theater is talking, very beginning of the trailer, lights on, people taking their seats. Like, it wasn't a quiet, it's not a quiet time, yet, by any means.

• 41:43Brooke Averick?

  You something to say?

• 41:45Connor Wood?

About the guy telling you he should've

• 41:46Brooke Averick?

I thought you were gonna tell, you were gonna say it was quiet time.

• 41:50Connor Wood?

No, no, I'm biting my nails.

• 41:51Brooke Averick?

  Okay, great.

• 41:51Connor Wood?

  Which I should stop.

• 41:53Brooke Averick?

And that was pretty jarring. And so the movie starts and the young man next to me

• 42:08Brooke Averick?

laughed in a way that was like The Joker's condition, you know, meets goofy, but like at parts that weren't funny. And so the entire theater began like laughing with him because his laugh became the highlight of the experience. And like I, the guy in front of me was just so miserable and it was like the best

• 42:39Brooke Averick?

  karma

• 42:40Connor Wood?

  That's nice.

• 42:40Brooke Averick?

watching. But that was the best part of the experience was this guy laughing throughout the whole film and everybody kind of just responding to his laugh.

• 42:51Connor Wood?

  Cute, that's a human experience.

• 42:52Brooke Averick?

But yeah, everyone was like having a great time except for the guy in front of us.

• 42:59Brooke Averick?

So I don't wish him well.

• 43:00Connor Wood?

Well, there is times when you need a shusher, like you do, like someone, it's always nice when the shusher steps up, like if you're on a plane and someone's got no headphones on and they're watching him TikToks or whatever. The trailers, don't be a martyr for the trailers.

• 43:16Brooke Averick?

No, I'm all, like, I don't, like, I get upset when people are talking during movies or on their phone. But like, trailers, lights on, people going to their seats, like, do not tell me to be quiet.

• 43:28Connor Wood?

I, I didn't know that there was a type of person that is sat for the trailers, like, that I'm going there, this is part of my movie ticket experience. I didn't know that that was the type of person.

• 43:37Brooke Averick?

And I did know that. I myself enjoy the trailers, but you're not, you don't ask people to be quiet during them.

• 43:44Connor Wood?

  Yeah.

• 43:44Brooke Averick?

It was pretty, and I don't take well to that, to like, that stuff in general.

• 43:51Connor Wood?

  Like being shushed?

• 43:52Brooke Averick?

  Being shushed, yeah.

• 43:53Connor Wood?

  Yeah.

• 43:54Brooke Averick?

Being told to calm down, stuff like that, like, that's my, like, uh-uh, we're not doing that, thank you, though. Um, and so that was, it just, seeing him get what he deserved.

• 44:08Brooke Averick?

Was just, it made me feel...

• 44:10Connor Wood?

Was that good? Was that close?

• 44:11Brooke Averick?

It, yeah. It made me feel really great.

• 44:16Connor Wood?

I'm excited that you had that experience. Good for you.

• 44:18Brooke Averick?

Thanks. But the movie was just so good.

• 44:23Connor Wood?

I wanna see it. I didn't know it was like a theater thing. How, how is like, nothing, how am I, I don't know, I guess my screen time's so low now.

• 44:30Brooke Averick?

Exactly. But also, I'm not like, I never know when a movie's coming out, cuz like, I'm not seeing trailers. Where would I see them?

• 44:40Connor Wood?

  The movies.

• 44:41Brooke Averick?

  Yeah.

• 44:46Brooke Averick?

Also, the trailer that he told us to be quiet during was The Odyssey, and Frankie kept going like, "This plays at the beginning of every movie if you haven't seen it by now," like, but like, she was so pissed.

• 44:58Connor Wood?

  Talking back to the shusher?

• 45:00Brooke Averick?

We were all kind of talking to him, but like, not at him. Like, I kept going, "Shh," whenever he started talking, because he started, he kept talking. So he was just being, no, it was like, I can't, it was just like, it was, he was really like, evil. Like, he, he was an evil person. Like, I've been thinking about him for quite some time, and I'll be thinking about him for the rest of my life.

• 45:22Brooke Averick?

Like, I can't really convey, like, he, he was, like, I think that there can be a little bit of good in most people, but like, I don't think him, I don't think that for him.

• 45:33Connor Wood?

Can I send, if I sent you an episode of Always Sunny, would you watch it?

• 45:37Brooke Averick?

  It's possible.

• 45:38Connor Wood?

  One epis- one episode?

• 45:40Brooke Averick?

  Yeah. Was someone shushed?

• 45:43Connor Wood?

  It's about a shusher.

• 45:44Brooke Averick?

  I, I, uh.

• 45:46Connor Wood?

The entire episode is them trying to find the shusher, because it's, it does not sit well with their soul.

• 45:50Brooke Averick?

No, it didn't sit well with my soul.

• 45:54Connor Wood?

Yeah, I'm gonna send it to you, and I, I pray you will watch it. I think you'll find, I think you'll like it.

• 46:00Brooke Averick?

I think you think I'll connect with it?

• 46:02Connor Wood?

I think you'll find it good, yeah.

• 46:04Brooke Averick?

Oh, it made me so angry, Connor, and I don't like to be angry.

• 46:08Connor Wood?

No, oh hell, oh hell no.

• 46:11Brooke Averick?

  Oh, hell no.

• 46:13Connor Wood?

  Oh my gosh.

• 46:14Brooke Averick?

  Anyway.

• 46:16Connor Wood?

Well, you made it out alive, out and through. I'm going on a-

• 46:19Brooke Averick?

I hope he goes into the red.

• 46:22Connor Wood?

I think he will. If there's anything I know about the shushers, they, they don't bode well. Um, I'm trying to think of a way that I can tell you, my college friends are coming this weekend.

• 46:33Brooke Averick?

  Yeah.

• 46:35Connor Wood?

I felt bad because I like, didn't offer anyone to stay at my apartment, but I, there's nowhere to stay, and it's flooding, and it's underground.

• 46:42Brooke Averick?

I'm sure that they would be fine.

• 46:43Connor Wood?

I feel like they're gonna walk and be like, "You live like this?"

• 46:49Connor Wood?

Um, but I was with one of my, this is like a very, to, this is another situation where like, it was so funny in the moment, like, I'm gonna retell it, like, I don't know if you're gonna think-

• 47:01Brooke Averick?

  I hate when that happens.

• 47:03Connor Wood?

So, it was like dusk, and I'm with one of my friends that I haven't seen since college, essentially. Like, we talk a lot, we just haven't seen each other. And we're walking, and we pass this older woman.

• 47:18Connor Wood?

And she has a walker and she goes, "Hey!" And I was like, "Hi, how are you?" And she goes, "I love seeing two gay guys walking around West Village." And I go, "Okay!" And she goes, "Especially when they're fugly." And I was like, "Oh, wow." Look at her closer, right tit is out.

• 47:42Connor Wood?

And then she goes, she's at the bottom of the curb and she goes, "Can you help me up the curb?" And I go, "We had to help her up the curb. Tit out."

• 47:50Brooke Averick?

Wait, who was the other guy?

• 47:52Connor Wood?

My buddy from college that I haven't seen in like the longest time. It was just like that was our one interaction we had before we parted ways, was with this oracle.

• 48:00Brooke Averick?

  Wow.

• 48:01Connor Wood?

  One-titted oracle.

• 48:02Brooke Averick?

  Wow.

• 48:03Connor Wood?

That stuck with me. And it was just so funny.

• 48:05Brooke Averick?

  Yeah, that'll stick with you.

• 48:07Connor Wood?

It's just so funny to see this woman. Essentially, she's stuck at the bottom of a curb with her tit out, throwing around. She had, she had like the most powerful, she had the energy of six drunk guys in Boston.

• 48:24Brooke Averick?

  Wow.

• 48:24Connor Wood?

In one, small, old woman, tit-out walker body, bottom of the curb stuck.

• 48:32Brooke Averick?

  Wow.

• 48:32Connor Wood?

  And she's like, "Fuck it."

• 48:34Brooke Averick?

  And you helped her?

• 48:36Connor Wood?

We did help her. What choice did we have? I didn't tell her to put her tit back in. I feel like

• 48:40Brooke Averick?

No, no, no, that's not your problem.

• 48:41Connor Wood?

That's your price to pay for, for just

• 48:43Brooke Averick?

  Yep.

• 48:44Connor Wood?

Running around with hate in your heart, but like

• 48:47Brooke Averick?

Do you feel like she had hate in her heart?

• 48:49Connor Wood?

It was impossible to tell, but fugly is hard to

• 48:52Brooke Averick?

The shusher had hate in his heart. Like, that's something I knew.

• 48:55Connor Wood?

Yeah, she did. And I do wonder, like, did she leave her house and go, "I'm gonna just go yell at people and be crazy," but like, fugly is like not

• 49:04Brooke Averick?

Like, she was complimenting. Like, she loved seeing a couple gay guys.

• 49:09Connor Wood?

  She, she

• 49:10Brooke Averick?

  She loved it.

• 49:10Connor Wood?

She said fugly. Fugly's impossible to misinterpret.

• 49:13Brooke Averick?

  I forgot about fugly.

• 49:14Connor Wood?

That was what got me. I was like, "All right, totally."

• 49:17Brooke Averick?

But she loved to see it.

• 49:21Connor Wood?

I got, yeah, I don't know. To each their own. But her boo bing out was just like, you can't even write this stuff. And then she's stuck at the bottom of a curb, just like

• 49:32Connor Wood?

yelling at people. I was like, this is so... This is very, I think that there could be levels to that situation, like almost like Greek mythology. Did you ever see Brother, Where Art Thou? Or no?

• 49:43Brooke Averick?

  No.

• 49:45Connor Wood?

  Hmm, you should.

• 49:47Brooke Averick?

  What is it?

• 49:49Connor Wood?

It's Brad Pitt. And I don't know any other people in the movie.

• 49:54Brooke Averick?

  Déjà vu.

• 49:55Connor Wood?

  But it's, it's from...

• 49:59Connor Wood?

I think it's from The Odyssey. I think it's built on The Odyssey, but it's like a modern rendition of The Odyssey.

• 50:03Brooke Averick?

I think we've spoken about this.

• 50:06Connor Wood?

We have to listen to the song briefly in the bonus. It's...

• 50:09Brooke Averick?

  We have.

• 50:10Connor Wood?

  Oh, wow.

• 50:12Brooke Averick?

We've done this before. We've been here before. I'm pretty sure.

• 50:16Connor Wood?

  This is all cyclical.

• 50:19Brooke Averick?

It's amazing how we get to the same place a lot of the time, but we take a vastly different route.

• 50:25Connor Wood?

I like, kind of like that. Wait, who, can I see who else is in it really quick? Sorry.

• 50:30Brooke Averick?

  George Clooney.

• 50:31Connor Wood?

George Clooney, not Brad Pitt. That's right.

• 50:38Connor Wood?

Oh, yeah, and John Goodman. I know him. I don't know any of the others. I do not know this man. Sorry to this man. Oh, I met Kiki Palmer.

• 50:51Brooke Averick?

I love her. How was she?

• 50:54Connor Wood?

Exactly like what you'd want Kiki Palmer to be like. Sweetest, sweetest woman ever. I want... She's, she's, she's gone to the sun now in terms of being the most famous person on the planet.

• 51:07Brooke Averick?

She's always been on the sun.

• 51:09Connor Wood?

I would love... I feel like she had like a renaissance. Like, she popped in and was like, did y'all... I'm Kiki Palmer, like, but I feel like for a while it was Disney and then I didn't really see her. And then now she's like Oprah.

• 51:23Brooke Averick?

You know Bottoms Up, right? Her song?

• 51:27Connor Wood?

  Yeah.

• 51:28Brooke Averick?

That used to be when I used to hike Runyon. Like, that's the only song I could listen to when I was doing the incline.

• 51:34Connor Wood?

I don't even want to think about the Runyon incline, please. Makes me feel super sick.

• 51:38Brooke Averick?

The Runyon incline, but I am rejoining the equinox, but a different location with the pool, because I'm gonna be doing laps now.

• 51:46Connor Wood?

  Keep me updated.

• 51:47Brooke Averick?

Yeah, I got goggles and a Speedo and like already in my house.

• 51:53Connor Wood?

  Wow.

• 51:53Brooke Averick?

Yeah. Next step, join the gym.

• 51:57Connor Wood?

  Lap it up.

• 52:00Connor Wood?

Um, swimming is probably the best exercise you could possibly do.

• 52:03Brooke Averick?

What part of my body will it affect? And how quickly?

• 52:07Connor Wood?

  Your shoulders and back.

• 52:09Brooke Averick?

I don't, like, that's the thing I care about the least. It's only gonna do shoulders and back?

• 52:15Connor Wood?

No, use your whole body, your core, it burns a lot of like, I think it's like a very high burning, like, exercise because you're using your core, your legs, your arms.

• 52:24Brooke Averick?

10 to 15 in the face.

• 52:25Connor Wood?

  I don't, 10 to 15 pounds in your face?

• 52:28Brooke Averick?

What part of your body does swimming target?

• 52:34Brooke Averick?

  Or tone? Even?

• 52:36Connor Wood?

  It's your full body.

• 52:38Brooke Averick?

  Muscle.

• 52:40Connor Wood?

  Shoulders and arms.

• 52:41Brooke Averick?

Shoulders and arms. I'm, I'm good with arms, I just, like, the shoulder piece, I could, I don't really care. Core, legs and glutes, it, it takes care of everything.

• 52:50Connor Wood?

  Yeah.

• 52:50Brooke Averick?

That's my exercise goal, is I want there to be a difference between my butt and my upper thigh.

• 52:57Brooke Averick?

My bathing suits are all diapers.

• 53:02Connor Wood?

  Same.

• 53:03Brooke Averick?

I want to fill out a bathing suit.

• 53:07Connor Wood?

  Um, me too.

• 53:10Brooke Averick?

Don't, don't start, you know, you know you have a great butt.

• 53:15Connor Wood?

You have a good butt. Well, I want, I want the shoulders and the back from the laps.

• 53:19Brooke Averick?

I will give you my shoulders and back.

• 53:21Connor Wood?

  Okay.

• 53:21Brooke Averick?

  In exchange.

• 53:23Connor Wood?

That works for me, that works on my end.

• 53:26Brooke Averick?

I've been touching my toes so much, it's like, I feel you in the studio.

• 53:31Connor Wood?

I haven't been touching my toes, so I feel you over here.

• 53:34Brooke Averick?

  Wow.

• 53:35Connor Wood?

Did you know this is where they film Ride?

• 53:38Brooke Averick?

  No.

• 53:39Connor Wood?

They film Ride here, right? Benny and Mary Beth.

• 53:41Brooke Averick?

  I didn't know that.

• 53:43Connor Wood?

So I, like, the, the power that I'm harnessing here.

• 53:49Brooke Averick?

I'll be there with you like next month, I think.

• 53:52Connor Wood?

I know. When? What are the dates?

• 53:55Brooke Averick?

I don't know. Just like, I just, we'll talk about it.

• 54:00Connor Wood?

  Okay.

• 54:01Brooke Averick?

But I don't really know. I do know, but I'll just tell you later.

• 54:06Connor Wood?

  Okay. Are you stressed?

• 54:08Brooke Averick?

  Yes.

• 54:10Connor Wood?

  Okay.

• 54:11Brooke Averick?

  How'd you know?

• 54:13Connor Wood?

I can sense. You kind of look like Ella Langley right now.

• 54:17Brooke Averick?

  Really?

• 54:18Connor Wood?

  Yeah.

• 54:19Brooke Averick?

  I've never gotten that before.

• 54:21Connor Wood?

Yeah, maybe it's from where I am.

• 54:24Brooke Averick?

  Is it my bangs?

• 54:26Connor Wood?

  Maybe.

• 54:26Brooke Averick?

  They're growing out.

• 54:27Connor Wood?

  And your makeup, I think.

• 54:29Brooke Averick?

  Really? I got new mascara.

• 54:31Connor Wood?

  Yeah, maybe it's that.

• 54:32Brooke Averick?

  And I'm tan.

• 54:34Connor Wood?

  Yeah, and you're tan.

• 54:36Brooke Averick?

I don't think, when we look up Ella Langley, I don't know if I know exactly what she looks like.

• 54:41Connor Wood?

  We watched her music video.

• 54:42Brooke Averick?

  I know.

• 54:45Connor Wood?

How was your 250th American birthday?

• 54:48Brooke Averick?

Um, I was asleep by 7:30. I came home from Florida on the 4th. Because I did, I wanted to be with my boys for my cats for the fireworks.

• 55:01Connor Wood?

  Yeah.

• 55:02Brooke Averick?

In case they got spooked, but we all slept through them.

• 55:05Connor Wood?

I, um, didn't even know it was the 4th.

• 55:08Brooke Averick?

Oh, right. I guess they don't celebrate the 4th of July in other countries.

• 55:13Connor Wood?

I learned at like 11:00 PM, we finished dinner and we went to this bar to watch the soccer and...

• 55:19Brooke Averick?

  The soccer?

• 55:21Connor Wood?

  Mm-hmm.

• 55:22Brooke Averick?

  Thank you, the soccer.

• 55:24Connor Wood?

And this person in Copenhagen, the bartender in Copenhagen goes, "Happy end of Pinnits Day."

• 55:28Brooke Averick?

  Aww.

• 55:29Connor Wood?

And I said, "Oh, wow. Thank you." And I thought he was just talking about me in general because I went up to order the drinks for everyone.

• 55:37Connor Wood?

And I was like, "Oh, my God, it's the 4th of July."

• 55:39Brooke Averick?

  Wow.

• 55:39Connor Wood?

Wow. Um, ah, bro, Copenhagen, just, I'm gonna be spending some time there.

• 55:47Brooke Averick?

I know. I would, I would love to go.

• 55:50Connor Wood?

  We went to a...

• 55:51Brooke Averick?

I haven't been to like the cozy parts of Europe. I've really only been to like...

• 55:56Brooke Averick?

Either like the urban parts or the beachy parts.

• 56:04Connor Wood?

Amsterdam and Copenhagen, I think are pretty similar.

• 56:06Brooke Averick?

  I want to go there.

• 56:07Connor Wood?

Yeah, but I had this perfect apartment from Airbnb and it opened up on both sides. Like there was a terrace on both sides, like a small, like little patio where you smoke your little cigarettes. And there's like a good sized living room, good, and the breeze would blow straight through. And I took a nap one day, Brooke, after we, listen to this day.

• 56:30Connor Wood?

Woke up, walked to coffee. The Queen sent the marching band through town, which like she does every, every Thursday or whatever. March band goes by while we're having coffee.

• 56:42Connor Wood?

Walked back home, grabbed my bathing suit, biked to this wine cafe. That's on this dock that, so you, you get your wine and you get your little sandwich, sandwiches and then you swim. And you'd like jump up and you sit in the sun and you eat your sandwiches and you drink your wine. Bike home.

• 57:00Brooke Averick?

Was, were your sandwiches on a baguette?

• 57:03Connor Wood?

  Yeah.

• 57:05Brooke Averick?

What, what was on the baguette?

• 57:07Connor Wood?

It was like meats and cheeses and tomatoes, because tomatoes are in season right now.

• 57:13Brooke Averick?

  Yeah.

• 57:14Connor Wood?

Heirloom bitch. And so we get back to the, I have like two hours till dinner. I lay down and the sun with the breeze going over me, listening to Tom Mish in Copenhagen. Breeze is going, but I felt like a cat. It was like I under, in that moment, right there, when my eyes were closed and I was drifting in and out, I was like, I'm like, as far as I know, I am Schrodinger's cat.

• 57:37Connor Wood?

It was glorious. Oh God, I could go back. Mm, mm, mm.

• 57:43Brooke Averick?

I was watching an extended scene of The Office yesterday that I had not seen before.

• 57:49Connor Wood?

  Yeah.

• 57:49Brooke Averick?

And Andy was teaching everyone the concept of Schrodinger. But not necessarily the cat, it was the wall, like you don't know that the wall is behind you right now.

• 58:04Connor Wood?

Is that just an object permanence? It's an object permanence thing.

• 58:07Brooke Averick?

  Yeah, I guess you're right.

• 58:13Brooke Averick?

Like you only know that the wall is behind you when you're looking at it. Like right now, when you're looking at me, like you can't tell me that the wall is behind you with 100% certainty.

• 58:21Connor Wood?

That reminds me of the song. I got and and the sun's still shining when I close my eyes. It's a

• 58:29Brooke Averick?

There's, there's actually no way for him to know that.

• 58:34Connor Wood?

  The heat.

• 58:35Brooke Averick?

Could be, could be from something else.

• 58:38Connor Wood?

  A hair dryer.

• 58:39Brooke Averick?

Yup. That's reminding me of like when people, remember when people would go, I'm not touching you. I'm not touching you. I'm not touching you. Because like you're never actually touching anything.

• 58:50Connor Wood?

Yeah, you're gonna get, you're gonna get my fist in your mouth in a second. I'm gonna touch you.

• 58:53Brooke Averick?

  Yeah.

• 58:54Connor Wood?

Not you specifically, but like someone doing that to me.

• 58:57Brooke Averick?

  Yeah.

• 58:58Connor Wood?

Don't even think about doing, if anyone out there was thinking about doing that to me. Stop you right there.

• 59:04Brooke Averick?

  Would you rather someone

• 59:07Brooke Averick?

shush you or I'm not touching you. I'm not touching you. I'm not touching you.

• 59:11Connor Wood?

I think I'm not touching you.

• 59:12Brooke Averick?

  Yeah.

• 59:13Connor Wood?

A shush stays with you because it's like, that's one of those things that builds and you're in the shower like, oh, I should have said that.

• 59:19Brooke Averick?

  I know.

• 59:23Connor Wood?

Oh, Brooke, I'm mad for you now. It actually just sunk into me.

• 59:27Brooke Averick?

  No.

• 59:29Connor Wood?

  Yeah.

• 59:31Connor Wood?

You're an adult, man. Don't shush someone.

• 59:33Brooke Averick?

  Don't shush someone.

• 59:35Connor Wood?

I do want to say in my next apartment that I'm gonna have very soon. I'm gonna put my bed in a corner. I'm done faking it. I'm not a middle of the room bed guy. I'm, I'm putting my bed in a corner and that's just. I want to be a corner bed person.

• 59:48Brooke Averick?

I loved when my bed was in the corner in my last apartment that looked like a hospital.

• 59:53Connor Wood?

It, I don't think it looks like a hospital.

• 59:54Brooke Averick?

Well, it did when my bed was in the corner and I had my like Kindle stand that looked like a IV.

• 1:00:00Connor Wood?

  Yeah.

• 1:00:01Brooke Averick?

  Stand.

• 1:00:02Connor Wood?

  Yes.

• 1:00:03Brooke Averick?

And like the color of my walls was very kind of like sterile.

• 1:00:06Connor Wood?

Your popcorn ceilings were like, I think my hand brushed them at some point and my, it was bleeding a lot.

• 1:00:12Brooke Averick?

That apartment was like the quintessential first Los Angeles apartment that you got.

• 1:00:17Connor Wood?

Yeah. Your couch, I hate your, I hated your couch.

• 1:00:21Brooke Averick?

  The leather one?

• 1:00:22Connor Wood?

Several times. Yeah, it was like.

• 1:00:24Brooke Averick?

I only had that for like a few months.

• 1:00:27Connor Wood?

It made me sweat so much.

• 1:00:28Brooke Averick?

Yeah. There's, there's not a lot of right ways to do a leather couch. There are some.

• 1:00:34Connor Wood?

I'm getting a leather couch for the next, my next place. And it's gonna be like a lived in, like big, fat, like it's gonna, it's gonna look like one of those dogs with the ears that touch the ground, the Basset Hounds. I want a couch, when I'm looking for my dream couch, think Basset Hound.

• 1:00:52Brooke Averick?

Got it. I genuinely get it. And I want a corgi.

• 1:00:57Connor Wood?

  A corgi of a couch?

• 1:00:58Brooke Averick?

  No, just a corgi.

• 1:01:01Connor Wood?

  You want a dog?

• 1:01:02Brooke Averick?

A corgi, I think. I really have latched with a specific corgi, Russell.

• 1:01:08Connor Wood?

  Which on the internet?

• 1:01:10Brooke Averick?

No, Patrick's boyfriend's corgi, Russell, is the light of my life. And so I do want a corgi.

• 1:01:20Connor Wood?

  Send me a photo.

• 1:01:21Brooke Averick?

And I, I am, like, once I move, once I get myself a house and have a backyard and a catio, I am gonna have a lot of cats. And a corgi.

• 1:01:31Connor Wood?

  How many?

• 1:01:32Brooke Averick?

I, like, a lot, Connor. I want a lot of cats.

• 1:01:36Connor Wood?

  I don't think.

• 1:01:36Brooke Averick?

I think it honestly depends. What were you gonna say? What's the cap?

• 1:01:40Connor Wood?

I don't think you should do more than, I really, we're really encourage you not to do more than four.

• 1:01:44Brooke Averick?

Oh, I won't. That's like a good limit. Like, I thought you were gonna say two.

• 1:01:50Connor Wood?

  Two's a lot, two's a handful.

• 1:01:51Brooke Averick?

I wasn't gonna do more than three, or four.

• 1:01:54Connor Wood?

Okay, three, I would love if you stopped at three.

• 1:01:56Brooke Averick?

I, I'm not gonna do more than five.

• 1:01:59Connor Wood?

  Brooke, don't do five.

• 1:02:00Brooke Averick?

What, can I do three and a corgi?

• 1:02:03Connor Wood?

Please think about, I want you to think about five cats right now.

• 1:02:06Brooke Averick?

I am thinking about it. I feel amazing. Thinking about five cats makes me feel amazing.

• 1:02:14Connor Wood?

I, I have that thing of where I love one frog, two frogs, but when they open that toilet bowl and there's like 40 frogs in that toilet.

• 1:02:24Brooke Averick?

And see, when I see a TikTok of like 20 cats roaming around, I say, gimme, gimme 14 of them.

• 1:02:35Connor Wood?

  You would want five cats.

• 1:02:37Brooke Averick?

I want all of the cats.

• 1:02:39Connor Wood?

  That's really...

• 1:02:40Brooke Averick?

Maybe I... I will foster like a lot of them, although I'm gonna fail.

• 1:02:46Connor Wood?

  No, don't say that.

• 1:02:48Brooke Averick?

  Yeah.

• 1:02:50Connor Wood?

You're gonna... You could have one bad seed in there with five cats. What?

• 1:02:54Brooke Averick?

Remember my little... The young woman that I had?

• 1:02:58Connor Wood?

  Yeah.

• 1:02:58Brooke Averick?

  She was so precious.

• 1:03:01Brooke Averick?

She was cool because you really had to earn her love, which like is probably the case with most cats.

• 1:03:09Connor Wood?

Did she get a derp, dude?

• 1:03:10Brooke Averick?

  Yeah.

• 1:03:11Connor Wood?

  Wow.

• 1:03:12Brooke Averick?

She'd buy someone I know, which is amazing.

• 1:03:14Connor Wood?

  Oh, that's good.

• 1:03:14Brooke Averick?

  Yeah.

• 1:03:16Connor Wood?

Okay, we have to wrap... I have to pee showbiz.

• 1:03:18Brooke Averick?

Okay, that sounds good. I'll see you in the bonus.

• 1:03:19Connor Wood?

Um, I'm trying to think of anything else we need to say.

• 1:03:22Brooke Averick?

Oh, I... Really quick housekeeping on my end. Um, Lindsay, who I recorded with last week, wanted me to let everyone know that she is single now. So if there are any young women that would like to reach out to her, you're completely able to do that now. Yeah, as things have... Things have changed since we last recorded with her.

• 1:03:46Connor Wood?

Um, and if you are a real estate agent in New York City and could throw me a bone, or if you're a lawyer,

• 1:03:55Connor Wood?

or if you have a really good, like, thing that you say...

• 1:03:59Brooke Averick?

  Demo team?

• 1:03:59Connor Wood?

  At least... What?

• 1:04:01Brooke Averick?

  Demo team?

• 1:04:04Connor Wood?

Yeah, if you wanna fake a fire, sure.

• 1:04:07Brooke Averick?

I meant like with the, like, what's that ball called?

• 1:04:12Connor Wood?

  Wrecking ball.

• 1:04:13Brooke Averick?

  Yeah.

• 1:04:14Connor Wood?

I had to think what Miley... I thought, what is Miley Cyrus?

• 1:04:17Brooke Averick?

  Yeah, yeah, yeah.

• 1:04:18Connor Wood?

What was the name of the song? Wrecking ball.

• 1:04:20Brooke Averick?

  Yeah.

• 1:04:20Connor Wood?

  That's the machine.

• 1:04:22Brooke Averick?

  You need, um, Ty Pennington.

• 1:04:24Connor Wood?

I need, um, I need some help. So if anyone can help me, thank you. And we'll see you in the bonus.

• 1:04:31Brooke Averick?

  See you there.

• 1:04:32Connor Wood?

  Bye.

• 1:04:33Brooke Averick?

  Bye.
