Whenever fall comes back around, it always feels like a fresh start. This year, I've been layering in some styles from the new Lululemon Fall Drop, because the weather is shifting and I find I have to be ready for the entire day and not just one part of it. Lululemon's Fall line has some really versatile transitional pieces, so I can just wake up, throw on a matching set, add a jacket or a fleece, and head out, knowing that I'll feel comfortable enough to go wherever the day takes me. • 1:07Connor Wood?

  What a month.

• 1:09Brooke Averick?

  I know.

• 1:10Connor Wood?

You're having like, you're having someone's whole life dreams in a one month.

• 1:15Brooke Averick?

It's very weird. It's very, very weird.

• 1:19Connor Wood?

  Are we recording?

• 1:21Brooke Averick?

  My mouth is so dry.

• 1:23Connor Wood?

Okay, welcome back to Brooke and I Make a Podcast. Brooke just posted the official announcement that Phoebe Berman is going Hollywood mode.

• 1:32Brooke Averick?

It's weird because all these episodes will be out like far past all of these moments.

• 1:37Connor Wood?

  Yeah.

• 1:37Brooke Averick?

So like, I'm still in my twenties right now.

• 1:40Connor Wood?

  Yeah, oh my god, yeah.

• 1:41Brooke Averick?

But by the time even the, the episode we recorded yesterday comes out,

• 1:45Connor Wood?

  Yeah.

• 1:45Brooke Averick?

  I'll be in my thirties.

• 1:47Connor Wood?

  Oh, yeah.

• 1:47Brooke Averick?

  My thirties.

• 1:49Connor Wood?

  Yeah.

• 1:49Brooke Averick?

So I get that that's a confusing timeline, but...

• 1:52Connor Wood?

Hey, you might, you might make the 30 under 30 just like right in time.

• 1:56Brooke Averick?

I think I'm gonna make the 30 under 30 today. Today's my last day of being 20.

• 2:02Connor Wood?

I think you, I think you might, I think you might just slip in their crack.

• 2:05Brooke Averick?

They're gonna slip in the cracks today.

• 2:07Connor Wood?

Yeah, hello Forbes. Hello Hollywood, hello Forbes.

• 2:28Brooke Averick?

So I just like, as we were sitting here, blasted out my Phoebe Hollywood.

• 2:34Connor Wood?

Well, it's gonna be hard for me not to check.

• 2:35Brooke Averick?

Post and now my mouth is dry and I have to be off my phone for an hour, which is good to do.

• 2:41Connor Wood?

You have 115 comments in three minutes.

• 2:44Brooke Averick?

I don't, don't look at it because my stomach is feeling sick.

• 2:47Connor Wood?

  I have to.

• 2:48Brooke Averick?

And look at this cake. Look at this cake.

• 2:53Brooke Averick?

  Have you seen my cake?

• 2:54Connor Wood?

  Yeah. Yeah, yeah.

• 2:56Brooke Averick?

  Isn't that perfect?

• 2:57Connor Wood?

Is he, is he shared, is he shared behind the scenes as me?

• 2:59Brooke Averick?

Is he freaking amazing. It's my boys. I, I don't think the camera can see it, but let me explain it to you. It's my boys reading Phoebe. And by my boys, I mean John Logan and Shane Hollander.

• 3:10Connor Wood?

Oh, my dad just texted me. Congrats.

• 3:12Brooke Averick?

I would like to see those boys together on the ice. Who texted you? Don't tell me. Who wasn't?

• 3:17Connor Wood?

My dad just texted me and said, say, say, congrats to Brooke.

• 3:20Brooke Averick?

  Oh, tell him thanks.

• 3:22Connor Wood?

Well, he's really on his phone, isn't he?

• 3:24Brooke Averick?

He's on it. He's on it. He's on it.

• 3:26Connor Wood?

What are you, what are you doing seeing that announcement like in real time? He has your post notifications on?

• 3:31Brooke Averick?

Yeah. I was thinking of having like an earnest conversation today. But we can do that later. I just feel like I'm not processing everything and I was like feeling bad about last episode where I feel like I was kind of like not like acknowledging everything that has happened in a way where I like would genuinely like to thank everyone but feel weird about it. So we can save that till a lot later.

• 3:58Connor Wood?

Whenever you're ready to be earnest.

• 4:00Brooke Averick?

And no, it's just, you know, a lot going on and for, for a girl in her twenties, you know, for someone so young.

• 4:09Connor Wood?

  Right.

• 4:10Brooke Averick?

To, to carry on her shoulders and.

• 4:14Brooke Averick?

  And that's it.

• 4:16Connor Wood?

  And all that bullshit.

• 4:18Brooke Averick?

Yeah, so what's been going on since I last, since we last spoke?

• 4:22Connor Wood?

Well, god, where do I begin? We have a lot to catch up on. I will say like, the first thing I opened my phone to today was, one of our clips with Ray is kind of going viral and the top searches-

• 4:35Brooke Averick?

  Which one?

• 4:36Connor Wood?

About laundromats being a third space.

• 4:40Brooke Averick?

I don't, I'll be honest, in the way that like, you didn't read Phoebe, I didn't watch the episode with Ray, and I think we're even.

• 4:48Connor Wood?

I, okay, well, I didn't not read Phoebe, I'm reading Phoebe.

• 4:51Brooke Averick?

Yeah, and I've, and I've watched the clips in the first 10.

• 4:55Connor Wood?

  Okay, well, the-

• 4:57Brooke Averick?

I feel like we're in a good spot.

• 4:59Connor Wood?

The top search, the suggested search for that clip is Connor Personality Mogged by Ray.

• 5:05Brooke Averick?

  No.

• 5:06Connor Wood?

Yeah, so wait, I didn't, so in the same way that like, you didn't watch the episode, I didn't read the comments?

• 5:13Brooke Averick?

  Yes.

• 5:14Connor Wood?

And my, it's, I wonder if I'm, because someone also said like, the first guy, the first guy, well, there's a couple of comments-

• 5:22Brooke Averick?

  Are you the first guy?

• 5:23Connor Wood?

I'm the first guy. Someone said like, he, he is, the first guy is so unlikable even though I agree with him, and I said, okay, alright. And then someone else said, yikes, is that the dude with, that had the poop on his face?

• 5:39Connor Wood?

Like, they're all, like, I don't know how this reached the side of the-

• 5:42Brooke Averick?

It's an amazing thing, we're, we're known for so many different things by so many different people.

• 5:46Connor Wood?

Yes, you're an executive producer in a Netflix movie? I'm a guy with poop on my face.

• 5:51Brooke Averick?

Yeah, and it's fine to be either one.

• 5:54Connor Wood?

  Executive producer and poop-y face-

• 5:56Brooke Averick?

Oh, I don't think it said executive producer, so I don't know about that.

• 5:59Connor Wood?

Well, it's probably just not, and on, I mean, it's like a no-brainer, like, that would be, I thought about it after we stopped filming yesterday, and it does, like, there's no other-

• 6:08Brooke Averick?

  Makes sense.

• 6:10Connor Wood?

  You wouldn't, you wouldn't have-

• 6:11Brooke Averick?

You know, I'm here to ask him one question.

• 6:13Connor Wood?

There's time, this is gonna be like, a longer-

• 6:16Brooke Averick?

  Yeah, longer process.

• 6:18Connor Wood?

Yeah, like, you will, that conversation will probably just be- And it's gonna be like, this is what, they're gonna be like, and you're cool like executive producer? Like, that's what it's gonna be.

• 6:27Brooke Averick?

No, the conversation happened, but it was like a year ago and then it like, it's been like, pretty much, no one said anything since, so, I don't know.

• 6:35Connor Wood?

  Yeah.

• 6:36Brooke Averick?

  But I'm, yeah.

• 6:36Connor Wood?

I just feel like they're just gonna, they just toss that in, even though like, it's an amazing, amazing, like, crazy thing. It's just like a casual, like, and you'll be executive producer, of course, and...

• 6:44Brooke Averick?

  Sure.

• 6:45Connor Wood?

Blah, blah, blah, blah, blah, blah, blah, blah. Geez, you're, I wouldn't, I wouldn't, I wouldn't hold it against you if you started kind of acting differently.

• 6:54Brooke Averick?

I was acting di- mm, I was like a year ago, like, I was being really, like, I had my executive producer hat on for like, a week. I was like, a lot of people don't know that I'm an executive producer? Um, but that, yeah, that's, that luckily has faded.

• 7:13Connor Wood?

No, I mean, like, you can, if you, if you just like, wake up one day and you're like, I'm an executive producer. Like, I'll be like, no, yeah, you should, I mean, yeah.

• 7:21Brooke Averick?

  A woman of many hats.

• 7:24Connor Wood?

Wait, are you gonna check your Instagram?

• 7:25Brooke Averick?

No, it was making noise, so I turned it off.

• 7:27Connor Wood?

  Wait, I'm addicted to it.

• 7:28Brooke Averick?

  No, don't.

• 7:31Connor Wood?

  Oh my god!

• 7:33Brooke Averick?

  Don't look, don't look.

• 7:34Connor Wood?

This girl is really letting herself go. I'm being serious. Eight, eight, 400 comments, eight minutes.

• 7:41Brooke Averick?

Oh, I thought you, okay, don't look, don't, my mouth is so dry.

• 7:44Connor Wood?

It's hard not to, it's hard not to.

• 7:46Brooke Averick?

  We have to not.

• 7:48Connor Wood?

We have such, you know what we should say right now? I'll start the earnest conversation. We have such an amazing community of people that are like...

• 7:53Brooke Averick?

  I agree.

• 7:53Connor Wood?

These people, I'm like, reading them, like, oh, is this your friend? It's probably, like, just someone that we, that listen, like, a good listener.

• 8:01Brooke Averick?

No, it is, we've the most supportive and engaged community.

• 8:06Connor Wood?

  Yeah, it's fabulous.

• 8:07Brooke Averick?

The engagement is, is key, like, our, our followers are so engaged.

• 8:12Connor Wood?

  They're so engaged.

• 8:13Brooke Averick?

  Which is so nice.

• 8:15Connor Wood?

Yeah, no, I love it, man. I completely love it.

• 8:18Brooke Averick?

Is there a way to turn Connor's volume up? I almost called you Colin.

• 8:22Connor Wood?

It's okay, you can call me whatever, Mrs. Hollywood.

• 8:26Brooke Averick?

You just, yeah, you just went up.

• 8:27Connor Wood?

  Okay.

• 8:29Brooke Averick?

  Okay.

• 8:30Connor Wood?

Uh, when, um, when do you think you'll get the nepo baby allegations because of your rich dad?

• 8:35Brooke Averick?

  Ooh, hopefully soon.

• 8:38Connor Wood?

  Yeah.

• 8:40Connor Wood?

That would be nice. I think that's a compliment. That's literally like, you know, people are like, oh, I started to get like, is this person on Ozempic allegations? And like, when you're not, they're like, you're like, okay, that's a huge compliment.

• 8:49Brooke Averick?

  Yeah.

• 8:50Connor Wood?

I started, I got at one point when I was going to the gym, I was like, someone was like, did you get on Ozempic? I was like, no, I just locked in for one week, but thank you. Haven't gotten any of those comments recently, but like, that's like, the nepo baby conversation is like, that's when you know you really made it, career-wise in entertainment. It's like, wait, I've decided that since this person's parents,

• 9:13Connor Wood?

like, have seen a movie, that they obviously like, knew the ins and outs of the industry very early, and that's why they were pushed into this world.

• 9:19Brooke Averick?

I'm, I'm, I've definitely, you know, I, I had a really good conversation with my moderator in St. Louis, because I called myself a nepo baby, because somebody asked about the publishing process, and I was like, well, I had a little bit of an advantage, because usually you have to submit your work to agents, and then you get an agent, but I already had an agent, so I had a leg up because I'm a nepo baby. And then she was, had, we had a really helpful conversation for me, where she was like, no, you're not a nepo baby, because what got you the agents in the first place?

• 9:52Connor Wood?

  Yeah.

• 9:53Brooke Averick?

And it was my, it was my winning personality. So, that was helpful. St. Louis changed my life.

• 9:59Connor Wood?

Oh, you love St. Louis, the only city you explored.

• 10:02Brooke Averick?

The only city I explored. I actually did love St. Louis. I went to work at a cafe there, and the people were so nice.

• 10:09Connor Wood?

  Wow.

• 10:10Brooke Averick?

  Yeah.

• 10:11Connor Wood?

Yeah, someone from St. Louis was like, please don't walk outside of your hotel, like, after. I'm gonna get in trouble for talking, every time I've talked about a city recently, like, the, the people of that city have come for my jugs. And, like, I just ran into someone outside, and they were like, we're from Milwaukee. You kind of dissed Chicago last week. And I was like, I didn't diss Chicago.

• 10:31Brooke Averick?

No, you didn't, you, you said you liked Chicago, it was one of the big cities.

• 10:34Connor Wood?

I said, I love Chicago. I forget about Chicago, and I'm upset that, like, I don't get to go to Chicago that much. And then I, I referred to Chicago as a non-binary city, and I think that's what's upsetting people, which I think you all need to look inward.

• 10:44Brooke Averick?

Which they need, that's a, that, they need to look in the mirror.

• 10:47Connor Wood?

Yeah, why did that upset you?

• 10:48Brooke Averick?

  Yeah.

• 10:48Connor Wood?

  Go chat.

• 10:49Brooke Averick?

  Totally.

• 10:52Connor Wood?

Yeah, no, that, that, I, I've kind of been, without you here, I've kind of been getting thrown to the dogs, like, people have been coming for me.

• 11:01Brooke Averick?

  No, I don't like that.

• 11:03Connor Wood?

  I know, it's scary.

• 11:05Brooke Averick?

  Mom is here.

• 11:06Connor Wood?

Well, I'll, I'll take us on my normal ride of just like dumb as hell topics, and then...

• 11:12Brooke Averick?

I have the one topic that is the, like, could be the dumbest of hell of all time.

• 11:18Connor Wood?

No, I prom- I promise you, Rick, like, whatever you're gonna say, I have three that will...

• 11:22Brooke Averick?

Okay, start with your dumbest, and I wanna see who's wins.

• 11:25Connor Wood?

Okay, I'll start with my dumbest. And actually, I think this one's pretty intuitive, so that's fine. I keep coming across, like,

• 11:35Connor Wood?

for whatever reason, a lot of, like, scientists are coming across my page recently, and the scientists are always like, "Yes, I just created, like, a pink and an orange mosquito." And like, when, when they suck the blood and there's light on them, like, the, the blood will, and, like, I'm just like, I don't really understand, when you're a scientist, and like, I know you're doing research, you know? How do scientists get paid? Like, or if you're just a scientist in general, and it's like, "I'm studying mosquitoes," it's like, "Who is paying for you to study mosquitoes?" Like, I get when you're studying... What?

• 12:08Brooke Averick?

  They get grants.

• 12:09Connor Wood?

Who, from who? Like, you understand what I'm saying, right?

• 12:13Brooke Averick?

  Yeah.

• 12:13Connor Wood?

We just accept when people are like, "I'm a scientist," and it's like, "Okay, totally." And then we just kind of don't check in with them until they're like, "I, I discovered that you could turn mosquitoes green," and it's like, "What have you been doing?" You know?

• 12:27Brooke Averick?

There's all different types of grants. There's, you can get some that are federal, and some that are, I don't know, but I had a friend who worked in, um, biological anthropology, and I did not understand how she was getting paid, and she was getting paid through this grant.

• 12:46Brooke Averick?

And that's the best I can do for you.

• 12:48Connor Wood?

No, it is like scientists are kind of like these forgotten people because obviously they're making a lot of advancements and they're like, like, okay, we just were making dogs live longer. And it's like, thank you. But like, how did you? How did you get there? You know what I mean? Like, I get you like honing in your skills.

• 13:07Brooke Averick?

That's the case of a lot of people where I'm like, well, who's paying you? Just like anyone who starts a business.

• 13:14Brooke Averick?

Like, I was thinking about, like, owning an animal rescue. And I was like, how do they get paid?

• 13:22Connor Wood?

  That's like a nonprofit situation, I think.

• 13:24Brooke Averick?

Yeah. How do you get, like, who pays you?

• 13:27Connor Wood?

Well, you don't make a profit, but you still pay your wages.

• 13:31Brooke Averick?

So if you own a nonprofit, you'll never make a profit?

• 13:35Connor Wood?

It's not for profit, so I don't think.

• 13:37Brooke Averick?

Is that what that means, though?

• 13:40Connor Wood?

I don't know if there's a difference between nonprofit but not per profit. But if.

• 13:45Brooke Averick?

Like, what is by definition a nonprofit is something that never makes a profit?

• 13:51Connor Wood?

Nonprofits pay employees using revenue generated from diverse sources, money laundering, including grants, donations, fundraising events, and mission-related service, whatever. Like, this is like, not gonna work.

• 14:04Brooke Averick?

But they're compensated as essential operational or administrative expenses. What does that mean exactly?

• 14:13Brooke Averick?

  Payrolls, so they are paid.

• 14:16Connor Wood?

Yeah, these are not employees working for free. Like, if you work in a nonprofit, you do have. I don't think like.

• 14:22Brooke Averick?

Who pays the person who's paying everyone else? Like, if I was like, I want to own a cat rescue. And I go through all of the necessary steps and get all these grants and I pay my employees. Like, they're making money. That's, who's paying me? No one, right? Do I make money?

• 14:39Connor Wood?

I think if you started nonprofit historically, and I'm just guessing, I think historically, like, you do have some liquid income, and that's why you started nonprofit to kind of like have some write-off ability. Rather than distributed to owners. Yeah, the owners.

• 14:52Brooke Averick?

So the owner never makes a cent?

• 14:55Connor Wood?

No, this is like beneficial for them in other ways because I think that they write off the nonprofit as like an operational business that's not for profit and accounts as charity.

• 15:03Brooke Averick?

Okay, I wanna do, I wanna do that.

• 15:05Connor Wood?

I think you, I think you would be good at that.

• 15:08Brooke Averick?

I don't think I'd be good at it, but I think that I wanna do it and have other people like be good at it. Does that make sense?

• 15:16Connor Wood?

Yeah. I think it means, I think it's great to delegate tests to people that are like more honed in on them, like scientists.

• 15:25Brooke Averick?

I actually think I would even need to hire a delegator. Like, I don't think I could do anything but like,

• 15:32Brooke Averick?

give, like, I'll give them money to do everything.

• 15:37Connor Wood?

I think that's smart too. You hire-

• 15:38Brooke Averick?

  Save the cats.

• 15:40Connor Wood?

  Hire a showrunner.

• 15:41Brooke Averick?

  Yeah.

• 15:43Connor Wood?

Okay, what's your dumb thing? Cause I don't feel like we got anywhere with, and I wish I had a better example of like, the scientists, like, do you go to college for being a scientist?

• 15:54Brooke Averick?

  Yes, people major in science.

• 15:57Connor Wood?

  Oh.

• 15:59Brooke Averick?

But it's like different branches. So like, med, si- medical, shit like that, like.

• 16:08Connor Wood?

  They can be paid by-

• 16:09Brooke Averick?

  Chem, bio,

• 16:12Brooke Averick?

biological anthropology, zoology was one, I'm just thinking of.

• 16:19Connor Wood?

This is what, like, this is what, this is the part that I don't get. Research can be designing experiments, performing experiments, writing numerical program, like, it doesn't make sense. Anyways, we can,

• 16:30Connor Wood?

like, that's just kind of like-

• 16:32Brooke Averick?

This is, this is not, yeah, this is-

• 16:35Connor Wood?

Like, Brooke, you come to me six months in, like, haven't heard from me, I've been just like kind of moving in silence, it's like, what have you been doing? I'm like, oh, I've been performing experiments. And it's like, if I hadn't have been performing experiments, I could just tell you I've been designing experi- like, I have a concept of an idea of what I want to work on.

• 16:52Connor Wood?

I'm not saying scientists don't do anything. I'm just saying it's like a really good job for someone that like, if you're really good at it to just like fuck off for three months and then come and be like, I just turned a mosquito green.

Whenever fall comes back around, it always feels like a fresh start. This year, I've been layering in some styles from the new Lululemon fall drop because the weather is shifting and I find I have to be ready for the entire day and not just one part of it. Lululemon's fall line has some really versatile transitional pieces, so I can just wake up, throw on a matching set, add a jacket or a fleece, and head out, knowing that I'll feel comfortable enough to go wherever the day takes me. Check out the new fall arrivals in store and online now at lululemon.com.

• 18:06Brooke Averick?

Yeah, no, look, I'm really pro-science.

• 18:09Connor Wood?

No, adore-science. Why am I obsessed with science?

• 18:13Brooke Averick?

I know, I'm being so genuine, like, I really, really care for it. Like, can't do it?

• 18:20Connor Wood?

You're not supposed to be able to do it.

• 18:21Brooke Averick?

And won't do it, but like, I really appreciate the people that do, and I think it's an amazing thing to do.

• 18:27Connor Wood?

Way to just like, cover all your bases with that.

• 18:29Brooke Averick?

No, I'm being like, it's, that's coming from my heart.

• 18:32Connor Wood?

  Yeah.

• 18:33Brooke Averick?

That is not me saying that just 'cause. Like, I, I heart science.

• 18:38Connor Wood?

No, science is all good in my book. Watch like, every episode that comes out, like, I'm gonna have like, a legion of scientists that are just like, coming for my, like, I'm gonna be on like, a science subreddit, be like, he hates science.

• 18:51Brooke Averick?

  I don't fuck with physics.

• 18:53Connor Wood?

  Brooke, that's just because like-

• 18:54Brooke Averick?

And I'm not afraid to say that.

• 18:56Connor Wood?

No, it's just because like, we don't understand physics, like you can hate physics.

• 19:00Brooke Averick?

I don't like it. Like truly, in all of the science classes I've taken, it's been like, oh, I don't get it, but it's really interesting. If I did get it, like, I could see myself really appreciating that. Physics, I never felt that way.

• 19:13Connor Wood?

You don't have an affinity for physics?

• 19:14Brooke Averick?

Even with like, all of the atoms and molecules and the mitochondria and all that, I was like, that's- Cells are amazing, like, that's so cool that all of this stuff is going on in my body. Like, DNA, don't get how it works, but like, so fabulous. I never felt that way with anything with physics.

• 19:34Brooke Averick?

  Velocity, I don't care.

• 19:36Connor Wood?

Yeah, I actually, when I went trivia the other day, I- It doesn't, who cares about what I'm about to say? I messed up.

• 19:43Brooke Averick?

  I do. I genuinely do.

• 19:45Connor Wood?

  No, you don't.

• 19:47Brooke Averick?

  I do.

• 19:48Connor Wood?

It was just a question about like, which one of these is not part of physics, and it was like, velocity,

• 19:53Connor Wood?

  and the others.

• 19:53Brooke Averick?

  Mass, don't care.

• 19:55Connor Wood?

  You don't care about mass?

• 19:56Brooke Averick?

  No, I don't.

• 19:59Brooke Averick?

I'm trying to think of one principle of physics that I care about. Like, space and gravity, like, cool, interesting, that's the most interesting part to me.

• 20:11Connor Wood?

  Space and gravity?

• 20:13Brooke Averick?

Yeah. But like, I don't care about the other stuff.

• 20:16Connor Wood?

  I don't think that that's-

• 20:18Brooke Averick?

Yeah, that's more like, yeah, astronomy.

• 20:21Connor Wood?

I think those are just things.

• 20:22Brooke Averick?

Yeah, that's astronomy, which is cool. Yeah, physics, I do not fuck with at all. Izzy, can you look up like, what makes up physics, and let me see if there's one thing that I'm like, good job?

• 20:34Brooke Averick?

And I'm sorry to all the physicists, it's just not my interest.

• 20:36Connor Wood?

I don't thi- is there physicists still?

• 20:38Brooke Averick?

  Matter, energy, space, and time.

• 20:41Connor Wood?

  Oh, space was right, okay.

• 20:42Brooke Averick?

But no, different kind of space. No, yeah, like, I don't, I don't fuck with any of those.

• 20:48Connor Wood?

Like, the one we've been watching?

• 20:49Brooke Averick?

  Spatial.

• 20:50Connor Wood?

  Yeah.

• 20:51Brooke Averick?

Yeah, I don't fuck with any of that. Electromagnetism, I do not like. Thermodynamics, I really don't like. I really, thermodynamics is my least favorite of the sciences. That is on my, on the bottom.

• 21:10Connor Wood?

  I like relativity.

• 21:12Brooke Averick?

  Really?

• 21:13Connor Wood?

  Yeah.

• 21:14Brooke Averick?

No, that's what I was saying I do too. That's spacetime and gravity.

• 21:18Connor Wood?

  Oh wow, Brooke, I'm aligned.

• 21:20Brooke Averick?

Speed of light, I never, I couldn't, I can't wrap my head around that. You know what I can't wrap my head around, and I don't know if I think this is physics?

• 21:29Connor Wood?

  What?

• 21:29Brooke Averick?

There's a property when an ambulance...

• 21:34Connor Wood?

Oh, yes, I like this one.

• 21:36Brooke Averick?

  Is it the Doppler effect?

• 21:37Connor Wood?

Yes, Brooke, good job, it's the Doppler effect.

• 21:39Brooke Averick?

Izzy, can we look up the Doppler effect? The Doppler effect really always threw me for a loop.

• 21:45Connor Wood?

  Brooke, I love it.

• 21:46Brooke Averick?

I love it, I freaking love it.

• 21:47Connor Wood?

I love it too. No, it's like show round, you know?

• 21:51Brooke Averick?

Yes, but I, the Doppler effect is the change in the apparent frequency of your pitch

• 21:55Connor Wood?

  Yeah.

• 21:56Brooke Averick?

of a wave in relation to an observer caused by relative motion between the wave source and the observer. That's what you were about to say.

• 22:02Connor Wood?

Brooke, can I, yeah, exactly, in so many words. What I was gonna say, Brooke, is that like, I think we like sound and things like relativity because they remind us of water, and we love to swim.

• 22:13Brooke Averick?

Yeah, like Doppler, that reminds me of droplets.

• 22:16Connor Wood?

Yes, yes, that's what I'm saying.

• 22:18Brooke Averick?

Yeah, change in, so how does it relate to the ambulance? As an ambulance with a blaring siren approaches, the sound waves are compressed causing a higher pitched sound.

• 22:28Brooke Averick?

So, so what exactly does that mean to me with the ambulance?

• 22:33Connor Wood?

Because it's like louder when you're coming towards you, and as it, as it passes, it's...

• 22:38Brooke Averick?

It could be the same distance from you, but if it's in front of you, it's louder, and if it's behind you, yeah.

• 22:43Connor Wood?

  Yep.

• 22:44Brooke Averick?

As the vehicle drives away, it's moving away from the sound it just emitted, the sound waves are stretched out over a larger distance, it creates fewer wave crests, exactly, deeper lower pitched whale, exactly. Different sounds too, not just softer, different.

• 22:56Connor Wood?

  Right, and we do that.

• 22:57Brooke Averick?

  I heart the Doppler effect.

• 22:58Connor Wood?

No, me too. Doppler for listening.

• 23:01Brooke Averick?

The most recognizable part of the siren sound is the distinct "nee-yah" shift.

• 23:06Connor Wood?

Wait, sorry, can you say that?

• 23:07Brooke Averick?

  I totally agree.

• 23:09Connor Wood?

I, I wanna see how that was spelled, cuz I don't...

• 23:12Brooke Averick?

  Oh, N-E-E dash Y-A-W-W.

• 23:15Connor Wood?

  Oh, the "nee-yah" shift.

• 23:17Brooke Averick?

  Yeah, it's the "nee-yah" shift.

• 23:19Connor Wood?

Um, can that be the title of the episode?

• 23:21Brooke Averick?

  I want it to be.

• 23:23Connor Wood?

  Yeah.

• 23:26Connor Wood?

Great. Do you wanna? Can you walk me through your hierarchy of needs?

• 23:35Connor Wood?

Like, obviously, we know that the the main ones are like, wa- like, food, water, shelter, I think?

• 23:41Brooke Averick?

  Yeah.

• 23:43Connor Wood?

And then the middle is like-

• 23:44Brooke Averick?

I'm so happy to do that.

• 23:45Connor Wood?

  Yeah.

• 23:46Brooke Averick?

But can I just say, like, why can't I remember literally anything, but the Doppler effect was, like, right there? I had it ready.

• 23:55Connor Wood?

It was, yeah, I don't know.

• 23:56Brooke Averick?

You know what else I have ready?

• 23:57Connor Wood?

  What?

• 23:57Brooke Averick?

And I've had this ready for a few weeks now. The Krebs cycle.

• 24:01Connor Wood?

  I'm sorry. The what?

• 24:04Brooke Averick?

  You don't know that one?

• 24:05Connor Wood?

  The Krebs cycle? No.

• 24:06Brooke Averick?

  Krebs cycle, yeah.

• 24:07Connor Wood?

I went to pu- public school.

• 24:08Brooke Averick?

No, you knew, you could learn about the Krebs cycle in public school.

• 24:12Connor Wood?

  Yeah, but we didn't, though.

• 24:13Brooke Averick?

That is the central series of enzyme-driven chemical reactions that take place in the mitochondria of the cell.

• 24:18Connor Wood?

  What?

• 24:20Brooke Averick?

Just know that, like, and the Krebs cycle has come up in my personal life a few times in the past few weeks. Just know that.

• 24:27Connor Wood?

  How?

• 24:29Brooke Averick?

  You know what else?

• 24:31Connor Wood?

  No.

• 24:31Brooke Averick?

  Avoca- avocado's number.

• 24:35Connor Wood?

I do know that. I do know what that is. The mole.

• 24:38Brooke Averick?

  Yeah.

• 24:39Connor Wood?

Oh, Brooke, did I have trouble with moles?

• 24:41Brooke Averick?

Oh, Connor? I remember I got a 59% on that test, and my teacher wrote, "Don't panic." She was so sweet.

• 24:51Connor Wood?

I remember you threw- Once, you had me, you had me in the beginning. I go, "Yes, yes, yes." I don't know why, as class went on, they're like, "Let's, like, push them to their absolute limit. Let's push these, like, young people going through, like, all of these coming-of-age experiences, and then let's give the- let's give them moles."

• 25:12Brooke Averick?

Let's push them to their absolute limits.

• 25:15Connor Wood?

  And then-

• 25:16Brooke Averick?

Let's take these people going through puberty, heartbreak, parents are probably getting divorced.

• 25:21Connor Wood?

They smell like shit. They're horny.

• 25:24Brooke Averick?

Life feels like it's over. Life feels like it's over? Let's give them avocado's number right now.

• 25:33Connor Wood?

You know what these kids need?

• 25:34Brooke Averick?

  Thermodynamics.

• 25:35Connor Wood?

Worse mentals- wor- worse mental health numbers in the history of recorded history. Let's give them

• 25:44Connor Wood?

  avocado's number.

• 25:45Brooke Averick?

Let's push them to the absolute end of their rope.

• 25:52Brooke Averick?

  And give them a 59.

• 25:54Connor Wood?

Let's, let's absolutely have them question their relationship with their family and how they were raised, even on a spiritual level. And then, let's introduce Okim.

• 26:09Brooke Averick?

What a weird thing to do.

• 26:13Connor Wood?

It was downhill very early for me in terms of math, because like I really truly wanted to be good at math, because all of the guys were really good at math. I was better at English. I was better at history.

• 26:24Brooke Averick?

I think every class should be optional.

• 26:27Connor Wood?

Well, it's just so standardized, you know, and we're just not standard people.

• 26:31Brooke Averick?

No, we should all get to choose what we want to study. And like, I wish I knew about like more, like different things than the Doppler effect. I do. Cause I will say, until this moment, Doppler effect, affected, didn't affect me. But like, I wish I knew like how to, taxes, you know?

• 26:53Brooke Averick?

Like, that should be what's required, is like how to be an adult.

• 26:56Connor Wood?

  My, yeah.

• 26:58Brooke Averick?

And Doppler should be an option, if you're interested in it.

• 27:02Connor Wood?

My favorite thing was like that cartoon of the monkey, the giraffe, the lion, and the turtle. And it was like, okay, now climb that tree. And the turtle's like, legitimately, I can't. And they're like, well, this is the standardized test, like for everybody. And it's like, while it doesn't really apply because there was a different species, I do think it's reflective of people's different abilities. Like, I was not good. I could not do math. And the way that my professor, I told you, I told you this, in calculus, like in college, when I was in college to be an engineer, passed me, based on genuine, just likability and charm,

• 27:45Connor Wood?

which I'm very flattered, she shouldn't have. Because if I would have built a bridge, that she'd have blood on her hands.

• 27:52Brooke Averick?

Right. It needs to be about equity and not equality. And I've always said that.

• 27:58Connor Wood?

  Right. Okay, hierarchy of needs.

• 28:01Brooke Averick?

Speaking of that hierarchy of needs.

• 28:05Brooke Averick?

Like the things that I like need to survive.

• 28:10Connor Wood?

  Yes.

• 28:10Brooke Averick?

My bed is like genuinely number one.

• 28:13Connor Wood?

Well, that would be under like shelter.

• 28:16Brooke Averick?

It's, I was gonna say it's not under sleep. Cause I need to work in my bed. I need to recharge in my bed.

• 28:25Brooke Averick?

That's just like my, where my like pastimes need to have.

• 28:29Connor Wood?

  Wait.

• 28:29Brooke Averick?

Like I can reboot my nervous system.

• 28:31Connor Wood?

I'm gonna look up the actual like science.

• 28:34Brooke Averick?

Oh, okay. Self fulfillment needs. Yeah. To achieve one's full potential included creative activities. Bed.

• 28:43Brooke Averick?

Cause that goes at the top. Self fulfillment needs.

• 28:49Brooke Averick?

  Can you hear me?

• 28:50Connor Wood?

Yeah, I'm, I'm trying to read cause.

• 28:55Connor Wood?

Oh, I see, I see. Okay. I had it backwards. Okay.

• 29:00Connor Wood?

All right. Okay. I get it. So I would say warmth and rest would be your bed. So that you're right on the money there.

• 29:08Brooke Averick?

  Yeah.

• 29:09Connor Wood?

  I would say physiological needs.

• 29:15Brooke Averick?

  Can I be honest?

• 29:16Connor Wood?

  To survive?

• 29:17Brooke Averick?

Physiological is always a word that has given me pause.

• 29:22Connor Wood?

Okay. I think my thing is like just a triangle and I don't think there's levels.

• 29:27Brooke Averick?

  Fine, let's take our own.

• 29:28Connor Wood?

I seriously like, I have to go swimming or I'll explode, you know? Like I, I genuinely like, you know, when people are like, I'm low in iron. I need to eat red meat. I need to take a supplement. I truly feel like when I'm, when I'm without swimming, when I'm without some body of water to jump into and float. I'm off.

• 29:47Brooke Averick?

What sign, what kind of sign is Virgo?

• 29:51Connor Wood?

  I don't know.

• 29:53Brooke Averick?

  Let's, maybe it's a water sign.

• 29:56Connor Wood?

  Let me check.

• 30:00Brooke Averick?

It's an earth sign. That also makes sense for you.

• 30:06Brooke Averick?

Can you hear me that it's earth?

• 30:07Connor Wood?

Oh, what is earth? I'm sorry, what does that mean?

• 30:12Brooke Averick?

I think it just means, yeah, what does that mean? Does it mean these people connect more with the earth? Or the earth charges them? They're like more grounded. You're more grounded. Earth signs are practical, grounded, and reliable builders of the zodiac.

• 30:23Connor Wood?

Yeah, well, I mean, you read something like that and it does make you not really totally believe in signs and what they mean, because like, I don't think I'm super grounded.

• 30:31Brooke Averick?

  Nah, yeah, that's true.

• 30:33Connor Wood?

  Okay, you didn't have to...

• 30:35Brooke Averick?

  No, I don't, I don't, I don't think that's a bad thing at all.

• 30:39Connor Wood?

To not be grounded, I feel like that's like...

• 30:40Brooke Averick?

Well, I guess like, you are grounded in some ways, for sure.

• 30:45Connor Wood?

This is a good time to lie.

• 30:46Brooke Averick?

But I guess I was thinking more of like physically, like you're always on the move.

• 30:52Connor Wood?

I think it's more of like a, more of like a touch grass type of shit.

• 30:58Brooke Averick?

  What are geminis?

• 31:01Brooke Averick?

  They are air. Air?

• 31:05Brooke Averick?

Known for being highly intellectual, communicative, social, and curious.

• 31:09Connor Wood?

Brooke, you are one of the most curious girls I know.

• 31:12Brooke Averick?

  I don't align with that.

• 31:13Connor Wood?

  And you're so social.

• 31:15Brooke Averick?

  I don't really align.

• 31:19Brooke Averick?

  But...

• 31:19Connor Wood?

  Yeah.

• 31:21Connor Wood?

  Somebody's are crazy.

• 31:22Brooke Averick?

I also don't really align with Gemini. But apparently, I align a lot more with Cancer, which is my other thing.

• 31:29Connor Wood?

  Like you're...

• 31:29Brooke Averick?

I'm a cusp. I'm also a cusp. And, but Cancer's my rising or the other thing. Which I align more with. Because I think cancers are highly emotional.

• 31:42Connor Wood?

Okay, it just like doesn't... I'm so sorry to people that like really align with this. I just like... It's never made sense to me, and also people are like, ew, you're a Virgo. Like, obviously, that's not something that I want to totally like subscribe to.

• 31:55Brooke Averick?

I've gotten that too with Gemini. I think they get...

• 31:58Connor Wood?

It's way easier, I mean, like, when people are coming at you, they're like, ew, you're a Virgo. I'm just like, well, then I don't believe in that and you're crazy. Which like, that would make sense that ew, I'm a Virgo if I'm like, you're insane, I'm gaslighting you.

• 32:08Brooke Averick?

  Gaslight, girl boss, yeah.

• 32:09Connor Wood?

Yeah. It's easier that way. Okay. My dad has called me twice. It's probably to tell you congratulations.

• 32:17Brooke Averick?

  Call him back.

• 32:18Connor Wood?

No, I'm okay. I'll call him after, because he's gonna... I talked to him on Monday. He's gonna ask me about my move. And I don't have any news.

• 32:27Brooke Averick?

Do you want to hear my dumb thing?

• 32:29Connor Wood?

  Yeah.

• 32:32Brooke Averick?

Oh, food, water, warmth, and rest would be physiological. All right.

• 32:42Brooke Averick?

My dumb thing was that, and I saw this on a clip on TikTok and another podcast did it, and now I lost it, so I can't find them.

• 32:51Connor Wood?

What is it? I probably saw it.

• 32:53Brooke Averick?

It was just them reading the description of Tyra Banks's young adult novel.

• 33:00Connor Wood?

  Okay.

• 33:01Brooke Averick?

And it was called Model Land, and it came out in...

• 33:06Connor Wood?

  I remember this.

• 33:08Brooke Averick?

  2011.

• 33:11Brooke Averick?

And I want to read you the synopsis. Okay?

• 33:16Connor Wood?

  Okay.

• 33:17Brooke Averick?

Well, I'm gonna start the synopsis on the Goodreads synopsis and then transition to the Wikipedia, because both have important elements.

• 33:25Connor Wood?

  Okay.

• 33:26Brooke Averick?

"No one gets in without being asked. And with her untamable hair, large forehead, and gawky body, Tukey de la Creme isn't expecting an invitation."

• 33:46Connor Wood?

  Tukey de la Creme.

• 33:48Brooke Averick?

Imagine, hmm, what should I name her? Oh, Tukey de la Creme.

• 33:53Connor Wood?

  Rest in power, Tukey.

• 33:55Brooke Averick?

  Tukey de la Creme.

• 33:56Connor Wood?

That was me ordering my poke the other day. Can I get the Tukey de la Creme, please?

• 34:00Brooke Averick?

So obviously, imagine me, like, I had some weed product last night, and I hear the words, "Tukey de la Creme."

• 34:08Connor Wood?

  Tukey de la Creme.

• 34:09Brooke Averick?

I text everyone, "Has anyone heard from Tukey de la Creme recently?" No one answered.

• 34:16Brooke Averick?

Um, okay, now I'm gonna move over to the Wikipedia.

• 34:20Brooke Averick?

  Wikipedia. No. Um, Model Land.

• 34:27Brooke Averick?

  Okay. Get this.

• 34:32Brooke Averick?

Uh, yeah, she goes to the boarding school Model Land for a chance to join the Intoxibellas, the most celebrated models in all the world. Along the way, she meets a plus-size girl named Dylan, a four-foot-seven-inch girl named Shiraz, and an albino girl named Piper.

• 34:54Brooke Averick?

Okay. Together they form a strong bond as they face the trials and tribulations of Modelland and endeavor to find the truth about why they were all accepted to it and why a mysterious impostor seems to want nothing more than for them to be gone.

• 35:07Connor Wood?

  Okay.

• 35:07Brooke Averick?

So I have to read this.

• 35:08Connor Wood?

Yeah, right. I also just want to flag, like, it's so important to have, like, a really good circle of friends. Like, and I'm not talking about the book, I'm talking about why didn't none of Tyra's friends say, "Hang on."

Uh, Taylor Hansen? Sure, I'll try one.

• 36:27Connor Wood?

  Mmm.

• 36:30Speaker 05

Hey, let's get back to work, please.

• 36:31Speaker 04

But Taylor Hansen's making my day way better with these new soft and swirly King's Hawaiian Cinnamon Bites.

• 36:45Brooke Averick?

  There's nothing like it.

• 36:51Brooke Averick?

And like, all of these things are fine to be. Like, plus size?

• 36:54Connor Wood?

  No, no, no.

• 36:54Brooke Averick?

Totally good. Four foot seven, totally good. Albino girl, totally fine. But coming from Tyra?

• 37:01Connor Wood?

  Yeah.

• 37:04Brooke Averick?

Coming from Tyra, there's a, there's an undercurrent.

• 37:07Connor Wood?

  Yeah.

• 37:09Brooke Averick?

And it's just something that I want to read.

• 37:12Connor Wood?

I know. This is just what happens when there's a lack of checks and balances.

• 37:18Brooke Averick?

  The reception?

• 37:19Connor Wood?

  You get Tukey Delacrim.

• 37:21Brooke Averick?

Considered the book overlong, campy and warped, and a nonstop barrage of surrealism and wackiness, but conceded that it could serve as a guilty pleasure. Okay.

• 37:36Brooke Averick?

Yeah, I mean, someone compared it to a Dr. Seuss book.

• 37:41Brooke Averick?

  It had a promotional single.

• 37:44Connor Wood?

  A song?

• 37:45Brooke Averick?

  Yeah, Model Land.

• 37:46Connor Wood?

  Perfect.

• 37:47Brooke Averick?

Um, so yeah, just know that like, last night I was, like, really, truly, like, Tukey Delacrim was, was a part of me last night.

• 37:59Brooke Averick?

  Anyway, that's my stupid thing.

• 38:01Connor Wood?

Well, it wasn't as stupid as me being like, I don't know what a scientist does, so.

• 38:06Brooke Averick?

  Stupid in different ways.

• 38:12Brooke Averick?

Um, uh-oh, I went on my phone.

• 38:13Connor Wood?

  Brooke, this is the-

• 38:14Brooke Averick?

Oh my god, Britney had somber on Royal Court.

• 38:17Connor Wood?

  What?

• 38:18Brooke Averick?

Britney had somber on Royal Court.

• 38:20Connor Wood?

Oh, good for them. I bet they hit it off. Did you hear the song I was playing?

• 38:24Brooke Averick?

  No.

• 38:28Brooke Averick?

  Is that Model Land?

• 38:32Brooke Averick?

I can't, it's coming through so warped. It's like giving Doppler effect.

• 38:35Connor Wood?

No, Brooke, that's how it sounds.

• 38:38Brooke Averick?

  Wait, actually?

• 38:40Connor Wood?

  Yeah, I promise.

• 38:41Brooke Averick?

Izzy, are we gonna get flagged if I play it on my phone? Or does it, who cares? I'll bleep it.

• 38:49Brooke Averick?

Model, is it called Model Land?

• 38:51Connor Wood?

  Yeah, no, no space.

• 38:55Connor Wood?

It's, it's by cunt Lena Xavier.

• 38:58Brooke Averick?

Oh my god, wait. Was it Bea Star from Life Size? No. Oh, it's by, I see, I see cunt Lena Xavier. But I don't-

• 39:12Brooke Averick?

  With four chicks.

• 39:22Connor Wood?

  Yeah, it's just by Kuntlina.

• 39:24Brooke Averick?

  Oh, cool.

• 39:25Connor Wood?

  You like it?

• 39:26Brooke Averick?

  I do.

• 39:28Connor Wood?

  You're like Xenon.

• 39:31Brooke Averick?

  Okay, loved that.

• 39:33Connor Wood?

  Yeah.

• 39:34Brooke Averick?

Anyway, did you ever see Life Size?

• 39:38Connor Wood?

  I don't think so.

• 39:39Brooke Averick?

That was an awesome movie. Just from what I remember.

• 39:43Connor Wood?

  I remember it, but I don't, I didn't, I never saw it.

• 39:45Brooke Averick?

Was that Lindsay Lohan? Mm-hmm. What didn't she do?

• 39:51Connor Wood?

  She was just a child.

• 39:54Brooke Averick?

  She really was.

• 39:57Brooke Averick?

  Yeah, that was good.

• 40:00Connor Wood?

Um, have you thought about, while I'm gone, who you're gonna have? Who you're gonna have on the, oh wait, you don't have to have someone on the podcast.

• 40:08Brooke Averick?

  Yeah, I do, because we're-

• 40:09Connor Wood?

  Oh. Who will you have?

• 40:13Brooke Averick?

  I'm probably Kat.

• 40:15Connor Wood?

  Yeah.

• 40:17Brooke Averick?

Like, if we want a good episode, I'll pick Kat.

• 40:22Connor Wood?

  Easy, my boy.

• 40:22Brooke Averick?

No, that was not a dig, that was not, I mean, like, more of a standard, like, you know, like-

• 40:29Connor Wood?

  Yeah.

• 40:29Brooke Averick?

  Standard.

• 40:31Connor Wood?

  Yeah, well-

• 40:32Brooke Averick?

But who else could I pick if we wanted to go more of, like, the take a risk route?

• 40:38Connor Wood?

Well, why don't you have someone on that you want to talk to about your movie and your book?

• 40:41Brooke Averick?

Like, that would be- I do feel really done.

• 40:44Connor Wood?

Okay. Got it. Um, well, I, while I'm studying abroad, I'm working on people that might want to come on while I'm abroad, because I found a podcast space in France that I can borrow.

• 40:57Brooke Averick?

  Seriously?

• 40:58Connor Wood?

  Yeah, isn't that crazy?

• 40:59Brooke Averick?

Who will you have on in France?

• 41:00Connor Wood?

I don't know, maybe I'll ask Brittany if she's, if she has time. I don't know if she will have time, she's gonna be very busy, but she's there and-

• 41:06Brooke Averick?

  Okay, that could be hot.

• 41:08Connor Wood?

  Yeah.

• 41:11Brooke Averick?

  Okay.

• 41:11Connor Wood?

It'll be about 6 a.m. for you, I think, if I've... So I don't think that that would be like a... But we could just have it. Doesn't hurt to have it.

• 41:20Brooke Averick?

Doesn't hurt. But I'm trying to think, like, who else do we have that's like Ray?

• 41:26Connor Wood?

Um, we have, uh, our friend from Doritos.

• 41:31Brooke Averick?

  Yeah.

• 41:32Connor Wood?

Which I would like to be there for, so that... I don't know about that.

• 41:34Brooke Averick?

  Yeah.

• 41:37Connor Wood?

We have Joanne from... Our Joan from Jones on Third.

• 41:42Brooke Averick?

That Barnes and Noble girl. The Barnes and Noble. I haven't seen... I think she got... She ended her partnership with Barnes and Noble.

• 41:51Brooke Averick?

  I think.

• 41:54Connor Wood?

  Um, I don't know. I'll think on it. I don't know.

• 41:58Brooke Averick?

Okay. I can't think of any... Anyone.

• 42:01Connor Wood?

Did you know that last night I got so scared in my apartment that I almost got a hotel room?

• 42:05Brooke Averick?

  No, I didn't know that.

• 42:09Connor Wood?

I don't know about, um, my well-being in terms of the hierarchy of needs, because you know how, like, safety is number two for hierarchy of needs? For me, safety's one, you know?

• 42:20Brooke Averick?

  Yeah.

• 42:21Connor Wood?

And there was someone outside making, uh, threats to what seemed like maybe the wind for like 10 or 15 minutes, because I was able to peek out from my... from my hovel and see that, uh, there was no one else out there besides them.

• 42:37Brooke Averick?

Okay, well, that doesn't involve you.

• 42:41Connor Wood?

  You're right.

• 42:43Connor Wood?

It just makes you question, like, the strength of the window, even with the bars.

• 42:48Brooke Averick?

You're so... With the bars, like, truly, nothing can happen. Like, could theoretically, they put their arm... Because I've thought about this with my bars. Worst they could do is break the glass, like, punch it through the bars and have their hand, like, coming in and flailing, but...

• 43:06Connor Wood?

  I would hate that.

• 43:07Brooke Averick?

  That doesn't affect you.

• 43:08Connor Wood?

I think on my hierarchy of needs...

• 43:09Brooke Averick?

  Yeah, obviously, it's not ideal.

• 43:11Connor Wood?

I think on my hierarchy of needs, it's like, no arms in my room.

• 43:15Brooke Averick?

I guess worst-case scenario would be there's like a weapon in their arm... in their hand.

• 43:23Brooke Averick?

But like, even so, you could dodge that.

• 43:27Connor Wood?

  I don't, not like a Dodger.

• 43:30Brooke Averick?

Worst-case scenario is some sort of poison.

• 43:33Connor Wood?

  Brock, stop.

• 43:33Brooke Averick?

  That they sprinkle.

• 43:36Connor Wood?

  The, I don't, like, yeah.

• 43:37Brooke Averick?

  Or like a grenade.

• 43:39Connor Wood?

  Brock, stop.

• 43:42Connor Wood?

Brock, imagine I die because if someone puts their arm in my room and puts a grenade in my bed.

• 43:50Connor Wood?

Like, that would be bananas. I wouldn't even care. Like, if they do that, that would be just like, okay. Like, you were.

• 43:57Brooke Averick?

Wait, are grenades? No, that's a landmine. Grenades, you just have to pull the thing out and throw?

• 44:04Connor Wood?

  Yeah.

• 44:04Brooke Averick?

  Okay. Got it.

• 44:06Connor Wood?

  Um, I, tomorrow,

• 44:10Connor Wood?

it's gonna be the most fun day I've had, I've had so far all summer because it's the Knicks parade. And everyone is, that I know is like, taking off of work because a lot of them are like, I wouldn't even be able to get to my office. And we're gonna go, we found a restaurant that's letting us go at 7:45 in the morning before the parade, and play our own music and, because I saw this video of these guys in a locker room, I think they were like, soccer players or hockey players, and they're all singing "Man I Need" by Olivia Jade, wait, Olivia Dean? Yeah, and, uh,

• 44:44Connor Wood?

I was like, I need to do this. I need to sing "Man I Need" with like, a group of people, like, jumping around, just like, pure joy. And they, the restaurant agreed.

• 44:55Brooke Averick?

  That's awesome.

• 44:56Connor Wood?

I'm gonna be on Cloud Nine tomorrow morning.

• 44:59Brooke Averick?

Were you really invested in the games?

• 45:02Connor Wood?

I had, you know, I don't like, care for basketball.

• 45:05Brooke Averick?

  Yeah.

• 45:05Connor Wood?

But it's just so cool that like, it was like when we were all watching, and like, I'm okay to acknowledge, like, the bandwagon-ness of it, like, I am a bandwagon.

• 45:14Brooke Averick?

I love that. No, I love bandwagon.

• 45:16Connor Wood?

Yeah, and like, when we were all watching Tiger King and Outer Banks, like, I have lacked that feeling until the Knicks started playing and it's like, every, every, people I know that don't know what like, Knicks in five means, like, it's like, they're saying it, and I'm like, I can tell you, you don't say it, but like, you're enjoying yourself and it's like, pure of heart.

• 45:34Brooke Averick?

Was anyone rooting for the other team?

• 45:36Connor Wood?

So they're the Spurs, the San Antonio Spurs, and so I was getting a lot of heat, speaking of, for not, they're like, you're a fake from Texas. I'm like, I've never lived in San Antonio. I have no, I have no attachment to the Spurs, just because they're in Texas, I'm a fan. I live in New York.

• 45:53Brooke Averick?

I didn't see anyone talking about them.

• 45:57Connor Wood?

  Yeah.

• 45:57Brooke Averick?

I didn't even know who they were.

• 45:58Connor Wood?

It definitely is the more popular thing to be a fan of the Knicks, because it's like, it's been 30 years, I think, since they won. And so it's just like fun, and obviously, the pop culture of it all, Timothy Chalamet and Taylor Swift and everything, is like, catching a lot of eyes.

• 46:13Brooke Averick?

I wasn't connecting until I saw an edit to Hamilton.

• 46:18Connor Wood?

  Okay.

• 46:19Brooke Averick?

The lyrics, Connor, it's from Skylar Sisters. "History is happening in Manhattan." "History is happening in Manhattan." And we just happen to be in the greatest city in the world. That playing with the Knicks shooting hoops, I had tears in my eyes.

• 46:35Connor Wood?

I really, truly like, it's like, it's like fake summer camp city right now, like, it's like you walk past a coffee shop in the mirror and someone's like,

• 46:47Connor Wood?

"Have an awesome day," you know, and it's like, and I'm like, "You too, man," like, it's just like, everyone's hot, like, there's no strangers right now. It's like the coolest thing you're walking in, like.

• 46:56Brooke Averick?

The Knicks really brought people together.

• 46:58Connor Wood?

Yeah, I was like, I forgot my wallet, I had ordered a coffee and just the barista goes, "On me."

• 47:04Brooke Averick?

  No.

• 47:05Connor Wood?

Yeah, I was like, "This is just bizarre," like, great, and I was like, "I'll be back later and I'll come, I'll come just like drop off some cash," you know? But, um, what was I gonna say? Oh, I watched the game on this, like, the last game on this little miniature TV that was hanging up at the Comedy Club in Orlando. Which, I didn't even talk about this yesterday, but like those, Orlando was like two of my best shows I've ever done in my life. I didn't even do my, my set that I wrote, like, I just was like off the dome doing jokes, and it was just like so much fun. And then watching the Knicks win.

• 47:40Connor Wood?

And then Disneyland the next day, it was just like a dr- it was like, I went to Disney because the Knicks won. But tomorrow is gonna be an absolute movie.

• 47:49Connor Wood?

Just, I'm so excited to be here in the city of that never sleeps.

• 47:53Brooke Averick?

Wow, I would like to go there sometime soon.

• 47:56Connor Wood?

I hope you come for my crawfish boil.

• 47:59Brooke Averick?

I hope you have your crawfish boil in August.

• 48:01Connor Wood?

  I am.

• 48:02Brooke Averick?

  Cool, I'll be there.

• 48:03Connor Wood?

Yeah, end of August, because I'm like not even here for the rest of the month and then into July. I'll be there a lot, LA.

• 48:12Brooke Averick?

  What's in your Sonic cup?

• 48:14Connor Wood?

  Diet Coke.

• 48:15Brooke Averick?

Oh, I thought it was grape juice.

• 48:18Connor Wood?

Oh, it's Diet Coke. It was just warm out, so my ice melted, but.

• 48:23Brooke Averick?

I could go for grape juice.

• 48:26Brooke Averick?

Which is like not a thing I ever really typically crave.

• 48:30Connor Wood?

  The blood of Christ.

• 48:32Brooke Averick?

Oh, see, and I was thinking of Shabbat grape juice.

• 48:35Connor Wood?

There's, we have a lot more in common than you would think, you and I.

• 48:38Brooke Averick?

So many religions, all religions really do. Like, they both have grape juice.

• 48:45Connor Wood?

I think we can all agree on grape juice.

• 48:47Brooke Averick?

  Yeah.

• 48:47Connor Wood?

I think we all drink grape juice. Yup.

• 48:51Brooke Averick?

We all bleed grape juice. I really want a piece of my cake.

• 48:56Connor Wood?

Why don't you have a piece of your cake and eat it too?

• 48:59Brooke Averick?

I don't, well, then I like won't be able to talk to you.

• 49:03Connor Wood?

And I really need you here with me today.

• 49:06Brooke Averick?

  Yeah.

• 49:07Connor Wood?

I looked, I had to look it up this weekend because I almost captioned my photo from Florida. Eat your heart out, Florida. And then everyone was like, do not post that. That's like, that's like a big fuck you, to be like, eat your heart out.

• 49:20Brooke Averick?

  Oh, I get that.

• 49:21Connor Wood?

I thought, I thought eat your heart out was like, thanks for having me. Yeah, I love you and I had a great time.

• 49:27Brooke Averick?

No, yeah, eat your heart out is like last words, like you turn around over your shoulder, like those are the last, that's a, it's a goosebumps walk away.

• 49:35Connor Wood?

Oh, my God. I should have just said, eat me out, Florida. That was great.

• 49:39Brooke Averick?

Yeah, eat me out if I'm wrong, but.

• 49:43Connor Wood?

  Oh, bring that back.

• 49:45Brooke Averick?

I've been saying that a lot.

• 49:46Connor Wood?

  Have you?

• 49:47Brooke Averick?

  Just over text, though.

• 49:48Connor Wood?

Eat me out if I'm wrong, but...

• 49:49Brooke Averick?

Yeah, I've said that to Izzy.

• 49:50Connor Wood?

Today, it was a movie. I don't know if you have said that.

• 49:53Brooke Averick?

  I definitely have.

• 49:55Connor Wood?

  Are you traveling this summer?

• 49:57Brooke Averick?

So, I am really, like, putting this off, but I might be traveling for the 4th of July, but I've just been waiting for the last, to the last minute because I didn't, like, when I was touring, I was like, there's no way I'm getting back on a plane and leaving the cats again.

• 50:14Connor Wood?

  Yeah.

• 50:14Brooke Averick?

But now, like, as time passes, I'm like, I don't know, should I go?

• 50:17Connor Wood?

  To, wait, where?

• 50:19Brooke Averick?

Um, 30A, but I don't know, like, I literally think I will decide the night before.

• 50:25Connor Wood?

  Mm-hmm.

• 50:27Brooke Averick?

Cause it's mostly leaving the cats, which I do think I've developed a problem.

• 50:34Connor Wood?

  What?

• 50:34Brooke Averick?

Like, I don't think it's like a normal, like, I don't want to leave my cats. I think it's, it's something more severe.

• 50:42Connor Wood?

  Okay.

• 50:43Brooke Averick?

Like, I truly think I'm, like, ruining their lives.

• 50:47Connor Wood?

They, like, want you to head out for a little bit so they have space?

• 50:49Brooke Averick?

No, if I leave, like, I really feel like I'm abandoning, especially Rob, because he's so clingy, like, I truly believe in my heart that I am, like, completely abandoning him and breaking his heart.

• 51:00Connor Wood?

Well, Izzy, when you were watching The Boys, did, were they attached at your hip, too?

• 51:05Speaker 06

Not as much, but Rob grew on me. John, yeah, but not Rob.

• 51:10Brooke Averick?

John, I don't worry about. John's very independent and loves whoever is there. Rob is, is a very, he's a mama's boy.

• 51:20Connor Wood?

  Yeah.

• 51:21Brooke Averick?

He's a mama's boy, and then, and he was the one that almost died, so I think after that happened, I got, like, I'm just scared to leave. Izzy sent the cutest picture of him on the first week that I was gone, and I kept staring at it, and then eventually I realized his lips looked pale, and then that was, that was it for me. I was texting Izzy five seconds, every five seconds, to ask about the color of his lips.

• 51:46Connor Wood?

I didn't know cats had lips. I don't love that.

• 51:48Brooke Averick?

He has the sweetest little lips.

• 51:50Connor Wood?

  Oof.

• 51:51Brooke Averick?

But, they were pale. But he was, he was totally fine. It was just the lighting.

• 51:57Connor Wood?

Lactation came up again this, this weekend, and I had to, like, I kind of, like, forgot, we were filming, and I was, like, telling everyone how I lactated once, and, like, people don't respond well to that.

• 52:09Brooke Averick?

Right. I think it's cuz like it's so obviously not like milk. So it's like what the other option like of what it is is upsetting to think about.

• 52:18Connor Wood?

No, no, no, no, no, no. Obviously, I got into a bit of a hole and we started Googling it. It is milk. Like there are, there are recorded instances of fathers that have had to

• 52:35Connor Wood?

for survival, like feed a baby. Yeah, wait, no, Izzy, I'm not kidding. I'm not kidding. I am not kidding. Izzy, can we Google this?

• 52:41Brooke Averick?

  No.

• 52:42Connor Wood?

There are like, there are recorded stories and a lot of them were like in like, I think it was like somewhere else. It was not like United States cases, but there were instances of fathers breastfeeding babies. Yes, men possess the mammary glands and hormonal receptors needed to lactate and produce milk. However, it's biologically atypical for them to do so under normal circumstances when male lactation does occur. It's medically referred to as galacturia, which is awesome that to say. Lactation is triggered by a hormone called whatever. Well, men's levels are usually too low to produce milk. Elevated levels can spur milk production.

• 53:20Brooke Averick?

Common triggers for male lactation include medical conditions.

• 53:24Connor Wood?

Right. I'm not like squirting, you know, like I

• 53:29Brooke Averick?

  So what is happening?

• 53:31Connor Wood?

I'm not, this happened one time when I was in high school, like, and we were like, and like everybody was, everybody was doing it.

• 53:38Brooke Averick?

I actually have chills, like in a, in a bad way.

• 53:42Connor Wood?

Okay, if, if Brooke, if all your friends were lactating, would you do the same?

• 53:47Brooke Averick?

No, cuz not right now cuz it's like making me feel really sick and in a way that like I don't like.

• 53:56Connor Wood?

You shouldn't, you shouldn't say that about men's bodies.

• 53:59Brooke Averick?

  I'm, I'm, I'm really sorry. Like, it's physiological.

• 54:03Connor Wood?

Did you know that it is possible to, to make cheese out of breast milk?

• 54:07Brooke Averick?

I don't want it, I don't want to talk about this.

• 54:09Connor Wood?

What is grossing you out about breast milk?

• 54:11Brooke Averick?

It's something and it's not, I'm not happy about it.

• 54:14Connor Wood?

Have you, have you tasted it?

• 54:17Brooke Averick?

  Mm-mm. It's just making like

• 54:20Brooke Averick?

  Me feel weird right now.

• 54:22Connor Wood?

I just want to have a conver- I just am trying to have a conversation.

• 54:25Brooke Averick?

I know. I so appreciate it, but for whatever reason, it's not the conversation I want to have. There's nothing wrong with the conversation you're trying to have.

• 54:33Connor Wood?

Okay, how can we shift to-

• 54:34Brooke Averick?

Except for the way my body's reacting to it.

• 54:36Connor Wood?

  Something adjacent to

• 54:40Connor Wood?

breast milk and but like not, we don't have to talk about breast milk anymore.

• 54:44Brooke Averick?

  Hmm.

• 54:45Connor Wood?

I will say I had an I had an oyster last week for the first time ever and I I can never have one again.

• 54:50Brooke Averick?

And those are the that's the one shellfish I can't do. Is oyster shellfish? Yeah, right? That's the one shellfish I can't do. It's too boogery and slimy. Tastes like mucus.

• 55:01Connor Wood?

It's it's it's not gonna work for me. It's it didn't agree with my body for one and two. I'm just like really not drawn to something where it's like, okay, swallow it whole, hurry. It's like, well, then why did you even do this? No one's making you do this.

• 55:13Brooke Averick?

  I love clams and mussels.

• 55:16Connor Wood?

Yeah, I had a really good clam chowder last week.

• 55:19Brooke Averick?

  I don't I don't I haven't, you know, I haven't had clam chowder.

• 55:22Connor Wood?

Clam chowder, it was really good. That's my second time having clam chowder. Um, they told me after that there was a lot of fish mixed into the clam chowder, which I'm so glad they told me that after. But, uh, yeah, thanks. I did that.

• 55:33Brooke Averick?

  Yeah.

• 55:35Connor Wood?

I just like, I'm not gonna be do-

• 55:36Brooke Averick?

You would like mussels because usually the way it comes is, listen to me. It just comes in like a lot of butter.

• 55:43Connor Wood?

  Brooke.

• 55:44Brooke Averick?

And salt and you just like, it's really for the like butter and salt that you dip the bread in.

• 55:50Connor Wood?

When people try to convince me and they have my entire life to eat the shrimp, eat the mussels, it's fried and it tastes so good with butter and aioli. My hair fried and dipped in aioli would be good. A pencil would be good dipped in aioli like and deep fried. That's not a good argument.

• 56:06Brooke Averick?

  It wouldn't though. It wouldn't.

• 56:08Connor Wood?

  All I'm okay-

• 56:10Brooke Averick?

I guarantee you right now, if we were to deep fry your hair and toss it in a garlic butter, it wouldn't have the same genus equa that the mussels have.

• 56:19Connor Wood?

It's just like, you guys, I I'm I'm like so happy. I'm I'm an ally with you guys. Like, get the mussels, get the mussels. I love when you guys eat mussels. It's great. Get all the mussels you want. I am gonna be over here eating a chicken club and that doesn't affect you at all. I like, I'm okay. You know, more for you.

• 56:38Brooke Averick?

Listen, that's fine. You can like what you want to like. I'm just saying, like, it is just like drinking butter and salt and garlic in a way that I prefer.

• 56:48Connor Wood?

  There's just like no need.

• 56:49Brooke Averick?

  Like, straight up.

• 56:51Connor Wood?

There's no need for me to do that.

• 56:53Brooke Averick?

  No rocks.

• 56:56Connor Wood?

  There's no need.

• 56:57Brooke Averick?

  It's fine.

• 56:58Connor Wood?

I ate gator last week, too, which is also.

• 57:00Brooke Averick?

I don't want to do that.

• 57:02Connor Wood?

  It's very good.

• 57:03Brooke Averick?

Apparently, that tastes like chicken, though.

• 57:04Connor Wood?

It does. It's a little, uh, chewier.

• 57:09Connor Wood?

But it was good. And guess what? It was deep fried and dipped in aioli. So, who knows?

• 57:13Brooke Averick?

  Yeah.

• 57:14Connor Wood?

You know, I'm not eating, like, gator sashimi.

• 57:17Brooke Averick?

My favorite kind of aioli is just, like, mayo.

• 57:21Connor Wood?

  Yeah.

• 57:22Brooke Averick?

  More mayo.

• 57:23Connor Wood?

  Yeah.

• 57:25Connor Wood?

Totally, girl. I had, well, uh, I like, I don't really love mayo. I haven't loved mayo. My mom, that was one of the things where, like, my mom, like, would sneak it onto my sandwich and was like, "Gotcha." Like, "You're eating mayo." And I'm like, "Why do you, like, need to sneak mayo into my sa-" It's not even, it's not like it's a health food and I'm taking supplements. Why did I need to have mayo? Why are you, like, trying to wean me on to mayo? That's something that, like, people get off of.

• 57:51Brooke Averick?

  Yeah.

• 57:52Connor Wood?

  They do less mayo.

• 57:53Brooke Averick?

  That's interesting.

• 57:54Connor Wood?

I think it was because she'd always make, like, like, for hikes and stuff, she'd make a bunch of sandwiches and, like, I'd always be like, "I don't want mayo." And she's like, "I'm making them all the same." And it's like, it's, "Thank you so much for making the lunch, but

• 58:06Connor Wood?

what is the need to put mayo on my sandwich? To, like, when?"

• 58:10Brooke Averick?

What's one food that you don't like, but you really wish you did?

• 58:15Connor Wood?

  Seafood.

• 58:16Brooke Averick?

That you wish you did like it?

• 58:18Connor Wood?

Yeah, I wish I, I wish I could wrap my head around, like, a branzino, which is just disgusting to me.

• 58:23Brooke Averick?

I don't fuck with that either.

• 58:24Connor Wood?

  Yeah.

• 58:25Brooke Averick?

  I don't want just a fish.

• 58:27Connor Wood?

With the head on it? With the head on it?

• 58:29Brooke Averick?

I don't want that. No, but I like shellfish.

• 58:33Connor Wood?

Um, like escargot, frog, like, all the French food. I don't like French food at all.

• 58:37Brooke Averick?

Me neither, but I don't need to like that.

• 58:39Connor Wood?

  I don't either. I'm o- I'm okay not.

• 58:41Brooke Averick?

  I'm okay not liking that.

• 58:43Connor Wood?

  I don't really like gazpacho.

• 58:45Brooke Averick?

I'm okay not liking that. I'm okay not liking the branzino. I wish I liked, like, most of the stuff on a charcuterie plate.

• 58:53Connor Wood?

Oh, I will eat the wooden board that the charcuterie plate comes on.

• 58:56Brooke Averick?

Like every time there's like a soft cheese that comes out, I'm like, oh.

• 59:01Connor Wood?

Put the soft cheese up my ass.

• 59:04Brooke Averick?

  Yeah, I know.

• 59:04Connor Wood?

I'm heading, I'm heading out so no one knows I took it.

• 59:07Brooke Averick?

  Yeah.

• 59:07Connor Wood?

I, you know how I get around charcuterie boards? I just don't like how the charcuterie board of it all, I turn into this version of myself where like, I'm really competitive and I'm watching, I'm like counting every, you had four, like there's, I go survival mode, I go hunter and gather mode, I go, I need to have those four grapes and that pretzel and I need to beat you and I'd be, keep track of how much you've been eating. And I don't like the person I become around a charcuterie.

• 59:30Brooke Averick?

Actually, worst case scenario would be like a crumbled cheese.

• 59:35Connor Wood?

  Well, that's just like-

• 59:36Brooke Averick?

And it just gets on everything.

• 59:38Connor Wood?

It's not a realistic option to

• 59:42Connor Wood?

have a crumbled cheese on a charcuterie board, like that's just stupid.

• 59:45Brooke Averick?

  I feel like that happens.

• 59:46Connor Wood?

Do you remember when we went out to Malibu that one weekend and we had that person come in and make that like massive Kitchen Island charcuterie board and

• 59:56Connor Wood?

  were you there?

• 59:57Brooke Averick?

  No, I wasn't, I wasn't there.

• 1:00:00Connor Wood?

It was, it was, uh, someone rented it and we were way out, everybody came, like it was like-

• 1:00:06Brooke Averick?

  What do you mean?

• 1:00:07Connor Wood?

Like everybody was there, like, like Courtney was like, parchment was there. I'm pretty sh- like it was the entire group. Kaitlyn Duran rented the house.

• 1:00:17Brooke Averick?

Oh, I wasn't there. Oh no, I wasn't invited to that.

• 1:00:20Connor Wood?

Oh, okay. Well, I, I didn't realize, but it was funny because there was just this huge, we were all leaving the house, like checking out of the Airbnb and no one knew that this like charcuterie board maker came to the house and like,

• 1:00:36Connor Wood?

we were all like, oh, like we have to stay here and everyone just kind of like putting as much cheese and grapes and crackers into their mouth. Cause like she set this whole thing up as like a surprise, but- We were like all checking out and had to be cleaning up and it was like, oh my gosh, we can't leave this like Kitchen Island charcuterie out. It is weird.

• 1:00:53Brooke Averick?

Do you like the thin slices of salami?

• 1:00:55Connor Wood?

Well, that's what I was gonna say. Like, obviously, I don't totally understand the the rules and regs of leaving food out for hours just at room temp, especially the meats and cheeses. Like, that doesn't really clock to me when like, people get mad at me when I leave a pizza out overnight. Like, if you're in a hotel and it doesn't fit, and then the next morning, you're like, I'm gonna have a piece of pizza. And people are like, there's pepperoni on that. Like, you'll get in trouble. I'm like, but you'd eat a charcuterie.

• 1:01:18Brooke Averick?

  Right.

• 1:01:19Connor Wood?

That's also cheese and dried meat. I totally don't get that.

• 1:01:22Brooke Averick?

That's so true. And think of like, brunches, when there's like little club sandwiches out. I don't get why sometimes it's okay and sometimes it's not.

• 1:01:31Connor Wood?

I think it's all mental, girl.

• 1:01:33Brooke Averick?

I wonder. And people say that rice is the worst thing to leave out. Did you know that?

• 1:01:37Connor Wood?

No, that's, that's, uh, they debunked.

• 1:01:39Brooke Averick?

  Really?

• 1:01:40Connor Wood?

Yep. Someone was like, we do it all the time. So I, I had a genuine, genuine, almost like, it's, the thing is, it's not, um, not unwarranted because the, there is science behind rice going to room temperature. Like, you can die from it.

• 1:01:56Brooke Averick?

  Sure.

• 1:01:57Connor Wood?

But then someone, like, a lot of people that were raised with a lot of rice were like, this is not true. I've been doing this for my entire life. Like, that's just not, I don't, I don't know.

• 1:02:05Brooke Averick?

Well, it might happen sometimes, and just not to those people. Even if it's like rare, it's still good to know that you could die.

• 1:02:13Connor Wood?

I know, but I was wasting so much right, like leftover rice. It's like, if it ever got to room temperature, and if I had left a restaurant, and I have to go box and the rice on the way home, I'm like, too scared to even make it to the fridge, because I'm like, what?

• 1:02:24Brooke Averick?

Oh, no, I'm not talking about that. I'm talking about like, leaving it out.

• 1:02:31Brooke Averick?

Like, if you left your rice out on the counter for a few hours, like, that, apparently, like, you need to throw away.

• 1:02:37Connor Wood?

  Can we Google that?

• 1:02:38Brooke Averick?

As opposed to like, if I had a sandwich out for a few hours, I'd still eat it. Reheated rice syndrome.

• 1:02:44Connor Wood?

Throw out your rice or you'll pay a price. Wow, this is like a riddle that I have to tell people before they come into my dungeon house. Reheated rice syndrome is food poisoning caused by Bacillius cereus, a bacteria that spreads improperly cooled starches. Throw out rice and other starchy foods that have been left out at room temperature for more than a couple of hours. These toxins are heat stable and will survive getting zapped in the microwave or cooked.

• 1:03:06Brooke Averick?

  Whoa.

• 1:03:07Connor Wood?

  Okay, so that sucks.

• 1:03:10Brooke Averick?

How can rice make you so sick?

• 1:03:12Connor Wood?

  It's like E. coli.

• 1:03:14Brooke Averick?

Unlike common foodborne bacteria like salmonella and E. coli, cooking or reheating your food won't protect you. I didn't know that cooking, that reheating your food protected you from E. coli. Ooh, ah, ah.

• 1:03:26Connor Wood?

  Well, it's like the microwaves.

• 1:03:27Brooke Averick?

  I don't want spore-forming bacteria.

• 1:03:29Connor Wood?

  Yeah. Yeah, we don't, yeah.

• 1:03:34Connor Wood?

We don't have to do spores.

• 1:03:35Brooke Averick?

  I had a dream.

• 1:03:37Connor Wood?

  Breast milk or spores.

• 1:03:38Brooke Averick?

I had a dream that Tristan, Channing, and Sodi had some sort of horrible sickness and they were green and so sick and they were like quarantined in a hotel room, but Channing was going live. And they were all so sick and had one toilet and were like fighting over it. And then me and Megan lived in the woods and we were like trying to tune into the live but couldn't get signal. What do you think that means?

• 1:04:04Connor Wood?

  You love your friends.

• 1:04:07Brooke Averick?

  Maybe.

• 1:04:10Brooke Averick?

Okay, well, it was nice talking to you today.

• 1:04:13Connor Wood?

  Likewise.

• 1:04:14Brooke Averick?

  And have fun in France.

• 1:04:18Connor Wood?

And congrats to you, executive producer Brooke Averick, New York Times bestseller Brooke Averick. Happy birthday to Brooke Averick.

• 1:04:23Brooke Averick?

  Oh, my God.

• 1:04:24Connor Wood?

I hope this is the most amazing last day in this era and we will welcome you with open, open, open arms when you're on the other side.

• 1:04:34Brooke Averick?

Thank you for having me. And I'm excited to wake up tomorrow morning and play 3090 and really mean it.

• 1:04:40Connor Wood?

  Yeah.

• 1:04:41Brooke Averick?

  Yeah.

• 1:04:42Connor Wood?

  Yep, yep, yep.

• 1:04:43Brooke Averick?

Because I'd never done that before.

• 1:04:44Connor Wood?

Well, keep me updated, obviously keep me in the loop. I'd love to, I'd love to stay abreast on how it goes.

• 1:04:50Brooke Averick?

Okay, I will be in touch.

• 1:04:53Connor Wood?

  Okay.

• 1:04:54Brooke Averick?

  Okay.

• 1:04:54Connor Wood?

All right. Thank you guys for listening.

• 1:04:56Brooke Averick?

  Love, love.

• 1:04:56Connor Wood?

  We'll see you shortly.
