• 1:07Brooke Averick?

  Okay.

• 1:08Connor Wood?

  Okay.

• 1:08Brooke Averick?

I mean, how do you even like?

• 1:10Connor Wood?

  I mean.

• 1:11Brooke Averick?

How do you even begin something like this?

• 1:13Connor Wood?

I haven't done this in so long.

• 1:14Brooke Averick?

  What?

• 1:15Connor Wood?

We haven't done this in so long.

• 1:16Brooke Averick?

I know. I think I'm gonna dig into my cans. Is that crazy?

• 1:20Connor Wood?

  What do you mean?

• 1:21Brooke Averick?

Look, Izzy got me, look at this box Izzy got me. I did fully forget it was my birthday. When I walked in, I was like, "Thank you for welcoming me back from tour." I forgot it was also my birthday until I saw the balloon. But of course, I have a box of amazing things here from Izzy. Because why wouldn't I? Like, she's beyond. Izzy, you are beyond. And she took care of my boys while I was gone the whole time.

• 1:47Connor Wood?

  Izzy, you watch the cats?

• 1:48Speaker 01

  I did.

• 1:49Connor Wood?

  Wow.

• 1:50Brooke Averick?

Three weeks, she watched those boys.

• 1:52Connor Wood?

I'm feeling like when you haven't seen someone in a long time and you get shy a little bit. Also, I have to-

• 1:57Brooke Averick?

  I feel weird.

• 1:58Connor Wood?

Also, I'm in a, I'm in a space with two, two young men that I've just met today. And so there, I'm also getting to know them.

• 2:06Brooke Averick?

  Yeah, yeah.

• 2:07Connor Wood?

And so I'm feeling a little shy right now.

• 2:09Brooke Averick?

  Have you asked their names?

• 2:10Connor Wood?

Um, I know Derek and Gabe, yes.

• 2:13Brooke Averick?

  Derek and Gabe, hi.

• 2:15Connor Wood?

Yes, there's nothing like me, Derek and Gabe in the room. When me, Derek and Gabe walk in the room.

• 2:21Brooke Averick?

There never has been, and, and I don't know if there will be again, but God, I hope so.

• 2:28Brooke Averick?

That's all I can say. Anyway, there's cans in here that I was thinking of digging into because I'm nervous to see you again. But I don't know if that would make it worse or not. Oh my God, Izzy, she got me teals. Did you see I was out? Oh my God, relax and relief, eucalyptus and spearmint. I mean, she's freaking amazing and books and shit like that. But anyway, we can start talking.

• 3:10Connor Wood?

Welcome back to Brooke and Connor Make a Podcast. Welcome back, Brooke.

• 3:13Brooke Averick?

  Thank you for having me.

• 3:14Connor Wood?

Welcome back. New York Times Best. I haven't talked to you since you went New York Times Bestselling.

• 3:18Brooke Averick?

  I haven't. I know I have. I've been completely on the road.

• 3:21Connor Wood?

  I know. It's insane. Congratulations.

• 3:24Brooke Averick?

Thank you. I feel, on one hand, I feel like I've lived five lives and on the other hand, it's like nothing's happened. So it's a weird, it's a weird mix.

• 3:33Connor Wood?

It'll sink in at some point. How was it? Rose and Thorn of Book Tour.

• 3:41Brooke Averick?

Good question. I mean, overall, like, if you told me a year ago that I'd be like traveling for three weeks straight, getting up on stage every night, like different city every day, I'd be like, very funny. Um, but I learned that I can do really hard things and that's amazing. Overall, it was like the most positive experience. It was so great to see everyone.

• 4:07Brooke Averick?

And I would say I had kind of like a life-changing moment, I think, in New York and you were there.

• 4:15Connor Wood?

  Yeah.

• 4:16Brooke Averick?

I think my first show was exactly what I needed. I, you were not backstage when I was refusing to go out, right?

• 4:23Connor Wood?

  No.

• 4:24Brooke Averick?

Okay. At the beginning of the New York show, I was like, and this was the first one, this was on pub day. I was like, I'm not going out. And I was like, truly, there's multiple stages of a panic attack for me, but I was like, in the early stages with like extreme opportunity for advancement. Like I felt like I was like it it was like about to go into like a real one where like I'm not able to do it. Like I can't breathe or talk or like see.

• 4:51Connor Wood?

  Extreme opportunity for advancement.

• 4:53Brooke Averick?

Yeah, I was in the early stages prognosis grim.

• 4:56Connor Wood?

  Wow.

• 4:57Brooke Averick?

Yeah, and then I was like, I can't I can't go on the stage like I we we've got to call it. And then I got a cup of ice to regulate my body temperature and then someone gave me a small fan. And then, you know, I you were there, I kind of just walked out and was like, ah, I'm panicking. And then that when that was met with like cheering, like that was kind of a life changing moment for me in the sense that like, wow, like, and I've told every I told every stop this and I I teared up every single time, so sorry if y'all have heard this, but like,

• 5:38Brooke Averick?

it was kind of like, oh, this like really deep scary thing that I have hated about myself my whole life. People are like meeting that with such care and kindness and compassion and that kind of set me on a great, set me on a on the on the right foot for for tour. And so I kind of kept thinking about that moment as I navigated those three weeks. And every time I felt like I was going down, I just, you know, kind of remembered like that that moment of compassion and and now here we are at the end of it and and it was great. The New York show ended up being great. I think, you know, that that energy coming into it.

• 6:16Brooke Averick?

Ended up turning around Wicked Witch and and shit like that. So and then we had the release party and we got matching tattoos.

• 6:25Connor Wood?

  Yeah, we did.

• 6:26Brooke Averick?

A lot of people don't know.

• 6:27Connor Wood?

  I know, I I I got it over.

• 6:29Brooke Averick?

  Where's yours?

• 6:30Connor Wood?

I got it over my mole.

• 6:32Brooke Averick?

  It's on your ankle, right?

• 6:33Connor Wood?

Yeah, around a mole. I really like do regret the mole part.

• 6:38Brooke Averick?

  Don't say that.

• 6:38Connor Wood?

  The mole.

• 6:39Brooke Averick?

  That's fine.

• 6:40Connor Wood?

Putting it over the mole. I was like, this is so classic. I'm doing the tattoo on the mole and now it looks really.

• 6:47Brooke Averick?

  I didn't I don't remember the mole.

• 6:49Connor Wood?

  It's.

• 6:49Brooke Averick?

Is it like a freckle or like more sinister?

• 6:56Connor Wood?

It's not symmetrical in shape, so that feels sinister. And a freckle to me would be a dot.

• 7:07Brooke Averick?

  Okay.

• 7:08Connor Wood?

And this is a dot, but it does have growth.

• 7:11Brooke Averick?

Well, you can, this way at least you can monitor the growth.

• 7:14Connor Wood?

  Yeah.

• 7:15Brooke Averick?

  Yeah.

• 7:16Connor Wood?

  Yeah. Oh, wow. Yeah.

• 7:18Brooke Averick?

Yeah. But we have these magical hearts.

• 7:21Connor Wood?

I will say like, you had started talking before I could get seated. I was with your cousin.

• 7:31Brooke Averick?

  Ben?

• 7:32Connor Wood?

  Yes.

• 7:33Brooke Averick?

  What were y'all getting into?

• 7:35Connor Wood?

  Hot Ben. Um, we could-

• 7:37Brooke Averick?

  Did you see Hot Drew?

• 7:38Connor Wood?

  No, it was Drew there.

• 7:40Brooke Averick?

Ben's hot brother. Hot Ben's hot brother, Hot Drew.

• 7:44Connor Wood?

I was unable to meet your other hot cousin.

• 7:46Brooke Averick?

No, there's no way you didn't meet Drew. He was next to Ben.

• 7:50Connor Wood?

I don't know. Me and Ben are attached to the hip. You know, you know when the boys get together.

• 7:55Brooke Averick?

  Yeah.

• 7:58Connor Wood?

No, they couldn't seat us. Full blown, you had started. Everyone's cheering. I'm like, I can't find my seat. And the gramercy staff is like, "Sit the fuck down." And I'm like, "I can't find my seat?"

• 8:14Connor Wood?

Um, we went to, I went to just like take a seat. And he's like, "Get the hell out of that seat. We're sold out. You can't sit there. Get the hell out of that seat." So upstairs in the rafters, I'm making this huge scene-

• 8:27Brooke Averick?

You were upstairs in the rafters?

• 8:28Connor Wood?

Just about as, I was in your nosebleed seats. I could, you were a little-

• 8:32Brooke Averick?

I had, why didn't you tell me?

• 8:34Connor Wood?

  We all were.

• 8:36Brooke Averick?

  Everyone was in the nosebleeds?

• 8:40Connor Wood?

If you can imagine the ruckus that Tristan and Channing and Sodi were making up in the rafters with me. They were being so crazy.

• 8:50Brooke Averick?

Was my, were my whole, was, were my, what? Was my whole family with you in the rafters?

• 8:55Connor Wood?

Your family was up like middle row. I noticed them because when the mediator asked you if you'd rather give someone a blowjob or what, I couldn't even remember the next one. I looked right at your dad.

• 9:08Brooke Averick?

  Nice.

• 9:11Connor Wood?

What was, what was the would you rather for that?

• 9:13Brooke Averick?

  I don't remember. I just remember.

• 9:15Connor Wood?

  Blowjob.

• 9:16Brooke Averick?

It was like, would you rather throw up while giving a blowjob or something else? And my answer was to throw up. So I don't, but I don't remember what the other one was. So it must not have been that bad.

• 9:30Connor Wood?

I just looked right at your dad when she asked.

• 9:33Brooke Averick?

  That's a nice moment.

• 9:34Connor Wood?

  Oh my God. Family show.

• 9:38Brooke Averick?

  So you had fun?

• 9:40Connor Wood?

I had, it was, it was so much fun and the party was perfect. We partied it up. We partied it down.

• 9:45Brooke Averick?

That was like my bat mitzvah to me.

• 9:48Connor Wood?

  Yeah. And you deserve that.

• 9:50Brooke Averick?

I really had a great time at, at that, at that party. And every time I looked over, you were talking to my family. Pretty deep in conversation with a different member every time.

• 9:59Connor Wood?

I know, I know. Me and the girls.

• 10:02Brooke Averick?

Oh, I mean, I just love that picture. I think it's you, my mom, my mom, Papa and Susu.

• 10:08Connor Wood?

  Mm-hmm.

• 10:09Brooke Averick?

  Yeah.

• 10:10Connor Wood?

It was so fun. I was sweating like a dog.

• 10:14Brooke Averick?

Was it good to see Susu again?

• 10:16Connor Wood?

Unbelievable. What did, what was that text that she sent? That you sent us? Can you read it?

• 10:22Brooke Averick?

  Yeah, let me go see.

• 10:24Connor Wood?

  She's such an angel.

• 10:25Brooke Averick?

She really is beyond. She, I mean, people were coming up to her. And she just like couldn't believe it. And she was like, just like, I felt like a movie star and it was really precious. Okay. She said,

• 10:43Brooke Averick?

um, I texted you at eight 10 this morning. No. Oh, you were amazing. It was like a dream and I was living pieces of my dreams through you. There are no words to describe all the emotions watching you fulfill yours. It was one of the happiest moments of my life. Oh, wait, this wasn't it. Oh, was it OMG? I just saw Connor and Henry on the commercial on HGTV channel. I'm freaking out. Tell him movie star.

• 11:07Connor Wood?

Maybe. That is very sweet. I don't know if you felt me there.

• 11:10Brooke Averick?

I'm insanely in love with your friend. Wait.

• 11:13Connor Wood?

Oh, she really, she really let them rip.

• 11:15Brooke Averick?

Here it is, sorry. This is completely insane. It is refreshing that kids your age can relate to my quirky spiritual side. Thank you and Connor for my moment of my dreams come true. Brooke, all I can say to you is follow your path and your heart because that is what is making you such a success.

• 11:32Connor Wood?

  Fucking fire. She's spitting fire.

• 11:34Brooke Averick?

Like she's spitting fire. Yeah, she's amazing.

• 11:36Connor Wood?

  Wow, I love her.

• 11:38Brooke Averick?

Her birthday is, you know, one day after mine.

• 11:40Connor Wood?

  Yes, I did know that.

• 11:40Brooke Averick?

So when this episode comes out tomorrow.

• 11:42Connor Wood?

I randomly do know when Sushi's birthday is.

• 11:45Brooke Averick?

  Yeah.

• 11:46Connor Wood?

Um, yeah, that was a movie while you were gone, while you're away. Um, obviously I had substitutes come in.

• 11:56Brooke Averick?

Tell, tell me everything. Tell me everything.

• 12:01Connor Wood?

Like, no, no one understands like what a get it was to get Ray from Framebridge on the podcast.

• 12:07Brooke Averick?

And the way my jaw hit the floorboards when I saw that Ray was under 70.

• 12:14Connor Wood?

  Yeah.

• 12:14Brooke Averick?

You didn't, it's interesting because like, I guess you never mentioned his age at all.

• 12:18Connor Wood?

Well, the way I described him, everybody was under the impression he was an old, old man.

• 12:23Brooke Averick?

  Why did we think that?

• 12:26Brooke Averick?

  It must have been something.

• 12:30Brooke Averick?

Wait, can you explain to, what was the first time, what's the first thing you said about Ray on this podcast? Like, where does the lore even begin?

• 12:38Connor Wood?

I think what I really was taken by was Framebridge itself as a framing store.

• 12:43Brooke Averick?

  Exactly, as an entity.

• 12:45Connor Wood?

As an entity and how easy it is to, to get something framed. Cause framing something to me, we're gonna have like five full episodes about framing.

• 12:54Brooke Averick?

  That's fine.

• 12:56Connor Wood?

Uh, framing something to me is like a very foreign, hard concept. Like I can't imagine the process. So to me, going and walking in with like a napkin and being like, it was kind of like a fun challenge. And he was just like,

• 13:11Connor Wood?

There as as my guide and like that was the first interaction I had so it may have been the frame bridge of it all and not necessarily maybe Ray could have been Rachel you know if that's who was my first

• 13:22Brooke Averick?

  Right it was the conduit

• 13:23Connor Wood?

Yeah um he was my first

• 13:26Brooke Averick?

Yeah he was your first you don't forget

• 13:28Connor Wood?

No there's nothing like the first time

• 13:30Brooke Averick?

  Your first

• 13:31Connor Wood?

And then I don't know there was Laura and then the the young woman that you met that dressed up as him for Halloween in Boston

• 13:37Brooke Averick?

  Exactly

• 13:38Connor Wood?

And then it was just like a funny thing and and

• 13:43Connor Wood?

  I think I think

• 13:46Connor Wood?

I don't remember oh he pitched coming on the podcast when I went back in he's like I'd love to come on I have stories and he shared some stories

• 13:53Brooke Averick?

  He is

• 13:56Brooke Averick?

  Kind of amazing

• 13:58Connor Wood?

  Yes

• 13:58Brooke Averick?

He's got a personality on him

• 14:00Connor Wood?

He really does and he's like seven feet tall

• 14:04Brooke Averick?

  Really

• 14:04Connor Wood?

Yeah you couldn't I was sitting on a pillow during that episode

• 14:09Brooke Averick?

He's yeah he that was a really awesome thing that that happened

• 14:15Connor Wood?

I know we do we we we did unfortunately really need you to come back from work

• 14:24Connor Wood?

  Oh my god I like

• 14:26Brooke Averick?

It's funny though because you also had Julian who I feel like is pretty like when you like add up all the numbers and crunch them And carry the one like it's a pretty similar person

• 14:40Connor Wood?

  To you

• 14:41Brooke Averick?

  To me

• 14:41Connor Wood?

Yeah And you guys grew up together

• 14:45Brooke Averick?

  In a way

• 14:47Connor Wood?

  Yeah degrees apart

• 14:49Brooke Averick?

  Yeah

• 14:50Connor Wood?

  But

• 14:51Brooke Averick?

He followed me wherever I went

• 14:52Connor Wood?

Yeah once six three steps behind you how many years

• 14:56Brooke Averick?

I think he's three years younger

• 14:58Connor Wood?

  Yeah

• 14:59Brooke Averick?

I don't know if it was a freshman senior thing or a sophomore senior thing

• 15:02Connor Wood?

He came in with nine questions for me that led the whole podcast episode so it kind of felt like I was just back on his podcast

• 15:08Brooke Averick?

  That's fine

• 15:09Connor Wood?

  No it was amazing

• 15:10Brooke Averick?

Yeah he no he knows his shit

• 15:11Connor Wood?

No he he was leading the way

• 15:13Brooke Averick?

  Yeah

• 15:14Connor Wood?

  Um

• 15:16Brooke Averick?

That's that's where we differ me and Julian

• 15:18Connor Wood?

  I know

• 15:19Brooke Averick?

But he is a natural born leader

• 15:20Connor Wood?

  No it was he's phenomenal

• 15:22Brooke Averick?

  Yeah

• 15:22Connor Wood?

And he's doing his new show that's coming or might have just come out outside tonight

• 15:27Brooke Averick?

  I mean he doesn't stop he's amazing

• 15:29Connor Wood?

I've got a little cough on me today I'm not sick Derek I'm not sick

• 15:34Brooke Averick?

  I'm not sick

• 15:37Connor Wood?

Well, congrats. Welcome. This is so weird. Like, I don't... I'm like feeling pressured from Gabe and Derek that like I really want to prove to you guys that we have a good podcast.

• 15:45Brooke Averick?

Yeah, I know. I get where you're coming from.

• 15:47Connor Wood?

And, well, we have to catch up. We have to catch up.

• 15:50Brooke Averick?

Yeah. Do you have any questions? Because for me, I feel like the last three weeks are all one day.

• 15:57Connor Wood?

  Yeah.

• 15:58Brooke Averick?

So it's like I'm having trouble parsing them out.

• 16:01Connor Wood?

  Of course.

• 16:02Brooke Averick?

Do you want me to go through each stop?

• 16:04Connor Wood?

  Do you want...

• 16:05Brooke Averick?

  Or is that not helpful?

• 16:07Connor Wood?

Um, well, I guess was there any standout moments? Like, besides, obviously, New York, but...

• 16:13Brooke Averick?

Standout moment? Okay, New York was a standout moment. And then Philly was a bit challenging because I had been over-served at the... At the party, which I tried not to be.

• 16:26Connor Wood?

  After?

• 16:28Brooke Averick?

At the after... The New York after-party. I had been over-served.

• 16:32Connor Wood?

  Oh, yeah.

• 16:32Brooke Averick?

And so then the next day, I was like...

• 16:34Connor Wood?

And Philly was the next day. I know.

• 16:36Brooke Averick?

And Philly was the next day. And Philly was in a really hot church.

• 16:41Brooke Averick?

  And so that was...

• 16:42Connor Wood?

  Hey...

• 16:42Brooke Averick?

  That was hard.

• 16:43Connor Wood?

  Why?

• 16:45Brooke Averick?

  I don't know.

• 16:46Connor Wood?

  The...

• 16:47Brooke Averick?

It was with Barnes & Noble, but everything was off-site. So like, I didn't step foot in a bookstore until my second to last stop.

• 16:54Connor Wood?

  Wow.

• 16:54Brooke Averick?

  On stop 14.

• 16:58Brooke Averick?

But, yeah, Philly, I almost... That was really sweaty. I was sweaty and sick. But it was great to be home.

I have to say about the New York party too.

• 18:40Brooke Averick?

  Yeah.

• 18:40Connor Wood?

Because I was homeless during that time.

• 18:42Brooke Averick?

  Yes.

• 18:43Connor Wood?

I like, go to your party. I was also over-served.

• 18:49Brooke Averick?

  You were over-served, yeah.

• 18:52Brooke Averick?

It was just fine to be.

• 18:55Connor Wood?

It's just like, why are you serving me? Stop serving me.

• 18:59Brooke Averick?

Hey, look at me. This is a picture of someone who's been over-served. Under- underserve her.

• 19:07Connor Wood?

  Stop.

• 19:07Brooke Averick?

  Start to think about underserving.

• 19:09Connor Wood?

  Serving her.

• 19:11Brooke Averick?

So, no, but if there's a night to be over-served.

• 19:14Connor Wood?

Well, so, obviously that happened, and then, um, no, it was fun.

• 19:19Brooke Averick?

I got another tattoo on my back.

• 19:21Connor Wood?

Why are you... Why? For what?

• 19:24Brooke Averick?

What do you mean why? A cherry.

• 19:26Connor Wood?

Oh, oh, yeah, yeah, yeah, yeah, that makes sense. Um, I thought you meant other than that. I was like, where else did you get... I got a tattoo.

• 19:33Brooke Averick?

Oh, no. No, my cherry. And then my brother got an octopus, which I love. But, sorry, keep going. I interrupted you.

• 19:40Connor Wood?

No, it's okay. I got a tattoo on Friday.

• 19:43Brooke Averick?

  Of what?

• 19:48Connor Wood?

  In Tampa.

• 19:49Brooke Averick?

  Of what?

• 19:50Connor Wood?

  Of all places. Um...

• 19:56Brooke Averick?

We have so much to catch up on, because we also have to get to Tampa.

• 19:59Connor Wood?

  I know.

• 20:00Brooke Averick?

But it's like, hard to get to the...

• 20:01Connor Wood?

I have to figure out how to share that with you in a way that like, because every layer is going to uncover a new piece. So, I got a tattoo of half of a fish. Um, it's ripped in half.

• 20:15Brooke Averick?

Does someone have the other half of the fish?

• 20:17Connor Wood?

  Yep.

• 20:17Brooke Averick?

  Who?

• 20:19Connor Wood?

  Maggie.

• 20:22Connor Wood?

And we got it in Tampa. A young woman ran up to me and was like, "Do you wanna get matching tattoos?" And I was like, "We do." And she's like, "No, with me." And I was like, "Oh, no." Um, and-

• 20:33Brooke Averick?

  Wait, where's the fish?

• 20:35Connor Wood?

Okay, let me see if I can show it to you. I'm wearing my pants that look like I have a boner. I don't have a boner.

• 20:40Brooke Averick?

Yes, I also look like I have one.

• 20:42Connor Wood?

  Okay, here we go.

• 20:49Brooke Averick?

  Okay. Wait.

• 20:51Connor Wood?

Can you see it? It's really cool, actually. I'm gonna-

• 20:54Brooke Averick?

I see, I totally see the tattoo.

• 20:56Connor Wood?

I'm gonna bring it closer to the camera.

• 20:57Brooke Averick?

Which half of the fish is that?

• 20:59Connor Wood?

I got the head. Can you see the head?

• 21:02Brooke Averick?

Yeah, I love that. So that it's-

• 21:04Connor Wood?

  I'm gonna bring it closer.

• 21:05Brooke Averick?

  It's been ripped in half?

• 21:06Connor Wood?

I'm gonna bring it closer. But I'm not gonna be able to hear you.

• 21:10Connor Wood?

  Wait, yes.

• 21:13Brooke Averick?

  This is so HD.

• 21:16Brooke Averick?

  Okay.

• 21:20Brooke Averick?

Wait, move to your right. Or left.

• 21:25Brooke Averick?

  Up. Yes. Awesome.

• 21:30Connor Wood?

  Oh, my god.

• 21:31Brooke Averick?

Wow, I can't believe you have matching tattoos with your two- with your girl.

• 21:35Connor Wood?

  I know, isn't that crazy?

• 21:37Brooke Averick?

  It's amazing.

• 21:40Brooke Averick?

So Maggie just has the body of a fish?

• 21:42Connor Wood?

She has the back end. She's got the ass.

• 21:45Brooke Averick?

I- I wanna see that, too.

• 21:48Connor Wood?

I'll send you a picture of it. Um, and you might be asking, "Why did you get that?"

• 21:55Connor Wood?

I'm out of breath from trying to show you my tattoo.

• 22:00Connor Wood?

Um, you might be asking why I got that.

• 22:01Brooke Averick?

  Sure.

• 22:06Connor Wood?

So we went out in the Everglades on a boat.

• 22:11Brooke Averick?

  Like, you went out?

• 22:13Connor Wood?

  Twenty-five miles out.

• 22:14Brooke Averick?

No, I mean, like, were y'all, like, going out? Like, it was like going, like, were you drinking?

• 22:19Connor Wood?

  No.

• 22:20Brooke Averick?

You were just on a boat? Like, I didn't know if it was, like, going out.

• 22:23Connor Wood?

Oh, like, we went out on the Everglades? Like, we got all dolled up and went out to a bar on the Everglades?

• 22:28Brooke Averick?

  Yeah.

• 22:29Connor Wood?

No, so the Everglades is like National Park vibes.

• 22:33Brooke Averick?

Totally. Never been to the Everglades.

• 22:36Connor Wood?

What I didn't know about the Everglades is that they're all around us. They're so big. So we're in, like, Fort Lauderdale. That's where-

• 22:48Connor Wood?

I did it, I did, I did eight shows last week, so.

• 22:52Brooke Averick?

  A lot of shows.

• 22:54Connor Wood?

Well, it was for the special that we're filming.

• 22:57Brooke Averick?

Yeah, that's still a lot of shows.

• 22:59Connor Wood?

Yeah. And we went out in the Everglades to go python hunting.

• 23:04Brooke Averick?

  Did you film that?

• 23:05Connor Wood?

  Mm-hmm.

• 23:06Brooke Averick?

  So we'll see that.

• 23:08Connor Wood?

What you are about to see will blow your socks off of your body.

• 23:13Brooke Averick?

So the special was kind of like, uh, what's it called? What is, what is the word I'm looking for? It's a specific, a sketch, a variety?

• 23:24Connor Wood?

It's very unique in a way, because.

• 23:27Brooke Averick?

Like, we're gonna see more than you just doing stand-up?

• 23:29Connor Wood?

  Yes.

• 23:30Brooke Averick?

But we will see you doing stand-up in addition to these other amazing things?

• 23:34Connor Wood?

Yes, so the way I'm thinking it's gonna go is like how Seinfeld is, like, it opens every, every episode opens with him doing stand-up and then it cuts to like the actual scene of the crime where he wrote that. So every day we'd write the stand-up for the night after the experiences that we had had that day.

• 23:52Brooke Averick?

Whoa, did you always have experiences worth writing about?

• 23:55Connor Wood?

Yes. Yes, oh my god, I needed to leave Florida so bad. I loved it so much, but it was time to go home. But we go in the Everglades.

• 24:03Brooke Averick?

Those are my favorite kind of trips, by the way.

• 24:04Connor Wood?

Where it's just like, that's good.

• 24:06Brooke Averick?

Where it's like, this was so amazing, it is time to go.

• 24:09Connor Wood?

Yes, yes, like one more day.

• 24:12Brooke Averick?

  One more day and, yes.

• 24:13Connor Wood?

Will ruin my experience, so let's wrap this up, put a bow on it.

• 24:17Brooke Averick?

  Go ahead.

• 24:18Connor Wood?

Stop serving me, I'm heading home.

• 24:20Brooke Averick?

  Yeah, yeah.

• 24:21Connor Wood?

Um, so we got in the Everglades and the, our guide, Eric, um, was able to hand me a bow and arrow.

• 24:31Brooke Averick?

  Yep.

• 24:32Connor Wood?

Uh, and I shot a fish out of the water.

• 24:37Brooke Averick?

  Okay.

• 24:37Connor Wood?

  And it was, and.

• 24:38Brooke Averick?

How do you even, that's making me a little upset.

• 24:41Connor Wood?

Well, it was an invasive species fish.

• 24:44Brooke Averick?

  I don't think I, like, that doesn't bother me.

• 24:47Connor Wood?

  The invasive, well, it like.

• 24:50Brooke Averick?

  So it's not his fault.

• 24:51Connor Wood?

No, it's not his fault at all, first of all, or her fault.

• 24:57Brooke Averick?

  At all.

• 24:57Connor Wood?

  She, her, invasive.

• 25:03Connor Wood?

But I did, you do have to eradicate those animals for population control because they offset the, the natural inhabitants of the Everglades.

• 25:13Brooke Averick?

  Put him somewhere else.

• 25:15Connor Wood?

Pick him up and put him somewhere else. Put him back where he came from. Well.

• 25:19Brooke Averick?

Well, what if there was just like a different like place in the world where we kept all invasive species?

• 25:26Brooke Averick?

  Hello, free movie idea?

• 25:29Connor Wood?

  Move all the fish.

• 25:32Connor Wood?

To Fish Island. Um, okay, so I shoot this fish.

• 25:39Connor Wood?

And I reel it in, so the bow arrow is like on like a string. I'm wondering if I spilled something on myself or if that's how this shirt is?

• 25:50Brooke Averick?

Uh, could be a little bit of both.

• 25:51Connor Wood?

Okay. Is it, can you see it Derek from over there? Okay, cool.

• 25:54Brooke Averick?

  No, not at all.

• 25:55Connor Wood?

Um, so I shoot this fish, I reel it in, I pick it up and Eric, our, our guide says, "Oh, this is a female. We need to check it for eggs."

• 26:07Connor Wood?

How do you think he checked it for eggs, Brooke?

• 26:12Brooke Averick?

I, like, looked in its area?

• 26:17Connor Wood?

No, he was able to rip the fish directly in half?

• 26:20Brooke Averick?

  No.

• 26:24Connor Wood?

  With,

• 26:26Connor Wood?

  like a baguette?

• 26:27Brooke Averick?

Chills. Chills. I would have fainted.

• 26:31Connor Wood?

Yeah, I threw up and he got guts on my linen pants, so.

• 26:35Brooke Averick?

And so that's what your tattoo memorializes?

• 26:38Connor Wood?

  Yes.

• 26:39Brooke Averick?

That's good to have that inked on your sleeve.

• 26:42Connor Wood?

  Precisely.

• 26:44Brooke Averick?

  Yeah.

• 26:44Connor Wood?

  Precisely.

• 26:47Brooke Averick?

  Well, is that on film?

• 26:49Connor Wood?

  Yeah, don't worry.

• 26:50Brooke Averick?

I don't want to see that. I'll have to fast forward.

• 26:51Connor Wood?

Don't worry, that's on film. Yeah, it was, it was, it was a weird week, but wrapped up and I moved in my apartment yesterday.

• 26:59Connor Wood?

This is a very transformational time in in our lives.

• 27:04Brooke Averick?

  Isn't it just?

• 27:05Connor Wood?

  I feel like I'm transforming.

• 27:07Brooke Averick?

  How's the new place?

• 27:08Connor Wood?

I got bit by a mosquito twice this morning, inside.

• 27:12Brooke Averick?

Yeah, I mean, summer on the east coast.

• 27:14Connor Wood?

  Yeah.

• 27:15Brooke Averick?

  Can't avoid it.

• 27:15Connor Wood?

No. Mosquitoes on the inside, I feel it can be avoided and should.

• 27:20Brooke Averick?

  Yeah.

• 27:20Connor Wood?

  Almost makes me question, how?

• 27:24Brooke Averick?

Did you ever wear bug spray as a kid?

• 27:27Connor Wood?

  Yes.

• 27:28Brooke Averick?

  I never, I was like anti-bug spray.

• 27:30Connor Wood?

I think it's bad for you and I don't think it works.

• 27:33Brooke Averick?

Oh, I think it works. I just like, for whatever reason, like, couldn't, like, the, the way that it feels on my skin and smells, like, there's, like, I would rather be bitten.

• 27:47Brooke Averick?

And I feel like I can't shower it off. Like, it takes me, sunscreen is totally fine, but bug spray, like, it stays on me for weeks.

• 27:54Connor Wood?

They made it illegal, the deeper, whatever. That's been, they, they

• 28:01Connor Wood?

they banned that. It's been banned. Amazing.

• 28:05Brooke Averick?

It can't, it has to be really, really chemical forward.

• 28:09Connor Wood?

I like the smell, I will say.

• 28:11Brooke Averick?

  Bug spray?

• 28:11Connor Wood?

Yeah, it reminds me of like, being outside around horses and stuff.

• 28:16Brooke Averick?

Bug spray, like, I feel like I can taste it always.

• 28:19Connor Wood?

  It's good.

• 28:19Brooke Averick?

My favorite smell in the world is that pink, is it Cooper Town or Copper Tone? Copper, I think. It's one of those, that, that pink sunscreen that sprays, but it's not like a clear spray, it's like a white sunscreen spray. Yes, that, but pink, or maybe it's not this brand.

• 28:44Connor Wood?

This is amazing. I can smell it.

• 28:46Brooke Averick?

  This episode?

• 28:47Connor Wood?

  Yeah.

• 28:47Brooke Averick?

It's not this brand. Does anyone know, Izzy, can you just look up a pink sunscreen spray bottle?

• 28:55Brooke Averick?

  It's not this freaking brand.

• 29:00Brooke Averick?

Oh, this has been a joke. Is it pink? Does anyone know what I'm talking about? It's pink and there's like blue letters.

• 29:11Connor Wood?

  I think you dreamed it.

• 29:13Brooke Averick?

I didn't. This is like my favorite.

• 29:17Brooke Averick?

It's, okay, it's more of that adjacent, but like that pink one to the right, but it's not, it's like more of a, it's spray. Oh, kids, look up kids, maybe?

• 29:32Connor Wood?

  Can you?

• 29:33Brooke Averick?

I'm really, I'm having a hard time. Do you know what I'm talking about?

• 29:39Brooke Averick?

Or is it banana boat? I don't think it's banana boat.

• 29:44Brooke Averick?

  Unless it's pink.

• 29:48Connor Wood?

  You'll get there.

• 29:50Brooke Averick?

Can, okay, I mean, this has been, okay, sorry.

• 29:54Connor Wood?

  Complete and utter.

• 29:56Brooke Averick?

This has been a joke. It has been a genuine joke.

• 30:00Connor Wood?

Wait, I went to Disney on Sunday. Disney World.

• 30:03Brooke Averick?

  How was that?

• 30:05Connor Wood?

  Um, like.

• 30:16Connor Wood?

  I enjoyed it.

• 30:17Brooke Averick?

  Okay.

• 30:20Connor Wood?

  Have you been?

• 30:21Brooke Averick?

  To Disney?

• 30:22Connor Wood?

  Yeah.

• 30:23Brooke Averick?

  Tons of times.

• 30:24Connor Wood?

  Really?

• 30:25Brooke Averick?

Yeah, I grew up going to Florida.

• 30:27Connor Wood?

  That just doesn't seem like.

• 30:28Brooke Averick?

Fort Lauderdale's, or Orlando's like two hours from where I go.

• 30:35Connor Wood?

I don't think that, I can't picture you in the heat and the lines.

• 30:41Brooke Averick?

  I just like really

• 30:44Brooke Averick?

  loved it.

• 30:46Brooke Averick?

But I did have, you know, I met Woody and, and, and I wasn't, I didn't, I wasn't comfortable with it.

• 30:51Connor Wood?

  Why, what?

• 30:53Brooke Averick?

I mean, I was like, it was the talk of the town that I was going, I was meeting Woody, like I was like so excited, like I was meeting my husband as far as I was concerned. I was like three or four. Like it was gonna be the first day of the rest of my life. Imagine the shell shock when he, the size of him was an adult man.

• 31:13Connor Wood?

  Oh, that was upsetting?

• 31:15Brooke Averick?

I thought he was gonna be the size he was in the film.

• 31:17Connor Wood?

You wanted to marry a toy?

• 31:19Brooke Averick?

I thought he was gonna be like, or my height, or my size.

• 31:23Connor Wood?

I feel like you would have been more scared if Woody would have been like the size of a three-year-old girl.

• 31:27Brooke Averick?

No, I thought he was either gonna be the size of a three-year-old girl, or like the size of my Woody's toy.

• 31:33Connor Wood?

  No, he's massive.

• 31:33Brooke Averick?

My Woody toys. So the fact that he was in a grown man's form was unacceptable and we've had to promptly vacate the space. But, I love Disney. I feel like we went to Universal more, though, in Florida.

• 31:48Connor Wood?

  We did both.

• 31:49Brooke Averick?

But I've been to Disney a lot here, since I moved here.

• 31:53Connor Wood?

Yeah, we did Disney in California?

• 31:57Brooke Averick?

  Yeah.

• 31:58Connor Wood?

  What, which one? Disneyland?

• 32:00Brooke Averick?

  Disneyland.

• 32:01Connor Wood?

We did every single ride at Universal and we did, then we crossed and went to Epcot.

• 32:06Brooke Averick?

  Did you have a Fastpass?

• 32:08Connor Wood?

  We had Lightning Lane.

• 32:09Brooke Averick?

  You had Lightning Lane?

• 32:10Connor Wood?

  Yeah.

• 32:10Brooke Averick?

  What was your favorite ride?

• 32:12Connor Wood?

  Um, The Muppets.

• 32:15Brooke Averick?

  What's that one?

• 32:16Connor Wood?

It used to be Aerospace, or Aerosmith?

• 32:21Brooke Averick?

  I don't know.

• 32:22Connor Wood?

I don't really know if I'm making, I don't know if I'm communicating it right, but, um...

• 32:27Brooke Averick?

Oh, the rock and roller coaster?

• 32:28Connor Wood?

Yeah, the rock and roller coaster. The way I was writing it off in my head, like, oh, the Muppets ride, yeah, let me get right, let me get right on that.

• 32:38Brooke Averick?

No, they know how to rock.

• 32:39Connor Wood?

It kicked my tuckus. Oh my god, no, bro. I was like, I was almost doing like gooning faces, I was crying so hard, like being so crazy, I was like...

• 32:51Brooke Averick?

  What was it like?

• 32:52Connor Wood?

Just being crazy. I haven't, well, it just like spins you around, you go up, it's pitch black. You're like inside and it's pitch black and you're upside down and you're going a hundred...

• 33:03Brooke Averick?

  Oh, I would have puked.

• 33:04Connor Wood?

You're going a hundred miles an hour.

• 33:05Brooke Averick?

Oh, I would have puked on the Muppets ride.

• 33:08Connor Wood?

It was so fun. I was laughing like a, like a little baby.

• 33:13Brooke Averick?

That looks fun. I love the hard rock.

• 33:16Speaker 00

• 34:16Speaker 06

  Ugh, I hate Mondays.

• 34:18Connor Wood?

  King's Hawaiian cinnamon swirl bite?

• 34:19Speaker 06

Taylor Hansen? Sure, I'll try one. Mmm.

• 34:25Speaker 07

Hey, let's get back to work, please.

• 34:26Speaker 06

But Taylor Hansen's making my day way better with these new soft and swirly King's Hawaiian cinnamon bites.

• 34:31Speaker 07

  Taylor Hansen? Nice.

• 34:33Connor Wood?

  Try one.

• 34:34Speaker 07

  Mmm.

• 34:38Speaker 06

King's Hawaiian cinnamon bites. There's nothing like it.

• 34:47Connor Wood?

Yeah, there were no like, I thought there was gonna be like a lot, a lot better people watching at Disney. But everyone was well behaved in their, in their Sunday best.

• 34:59Brooke Averick?

  That's great.

• 35:00Connor Wood?

  Yeah.

• 35:00Brooke Averick?

I would love to go to Harry Potter World in, that's at Universal though, actually. But I want to go to the Florida one.

• 35:07Connor Wood?

I realized pretty quickly that Disney is straight, is for, I could see being in a really, really elevating experience for someone that really like, for example, loves Ratatouille, the movie. Like, I am obsessed with Ratatouille, the film. Because like, we'd go on the rides and I'm like, oh, it's over. And I was kind of confused on what the like, the ride piece. It's more of like an immersive Ratatouille experience.

• 35:34Connor Wood?

That I didn't necessarily like see for myself.

• 35:36Brooke Averick?

  Yeah.

• 35:37Connor Wood?

Ever as someone who has only seen clips of that movie.

• 35:39Brooke Averick?

You feel like you'd have to be a Ratatouille head to appreciate?

• 35:42Connor Wood?

For sure. I think it definitely like changed that experience, yes.

• 35:47Brooke Averick?

Okay, but I feel like you enjoyed the Muppets ride and you're not necessarily a Muppet head.

• 35:56Connor Wood?

I kind of like fuck with the Muppets adjacent like from a distance. We kind of just respect each other in that way, me and the Muppets. But yeah, I'm not a Muppet head, but they they really did their big one with that ride. Now, the Ratatouille ride was kind of utter bullshit.

• 36:15Brooke Averick?

  Why?

• 36:17Connor Wood?

Cause I don't know, we basically just to skip that line, we had to go in the single rider lane. And so I had to sit with like two random girls on the Ratatouille ride. And they were Ratatouille heads.

• 36:34Brooke Averick?

Can you imagine? I'm just like imagining like people who like maybe listen to this podcast and like get you as a single rider.

• 36:42Connor Wood?

I know, like this absolute maniac like single rider lane for the Ratatouille. Like you have to really, really feel passionate.

• 36:49Brooke Averick?

I I was gonna say, I feel like like and you can be any age and any gender, but like especially as a you know, like a you know what, you're old man as a single rider.

• 37:01Connor Wood?

  For Ratatouille.

• 37:01Brooke Averick?

  At the Ratatouille ride.

• 37:03Connor Wood?

By the way, I still waited in line. I waited like 25 minutes for the Ratatouille ride to sit with those strangers.

• 37:09Brooke Averick?

  Yeah.

• 37:09Connor Wood?

Um, and they were really kind of into it. So I was like trying to be like.

• 37:16Brooke Averick?

Oh, well, ooh, you were trying to be like that?

• 37:19Connor Wood?

  Like, oh, yeah. Oh, wow.

• 37:22Brooke Averick?

  Would have loved that, yeah.

• 37:24Connor Wood?

  Hmm, oh, wow.

• 37:26Brooke Averick?

  Ooh.

• 37:28Connor Wood?

  Oh, yeah.

• 37:29Brooke Averick?

  Ah.

• 37:30Connor Wood?

  That's good. That's good.

• 37:31Brooke Averick?

  Nice.

• 37:32Connor Wood?

Very good, Remy. Um, basically at one point I was about to cry for some reason.

• 37:40Connor Wood?

Because these girls. So I'm sitting on like the right side and the girl in the middle, basically like you're in this like essentially like a teacup. But I think it's a rat. I think it's just round for some reason. And it kind of like Remy jumps off of the table. To escape that evil.

• 37:57Brooke Averick?

  That's funny.

• 37:58Connor Wood?

That evil chef. Yeah, but it's on a big screen and like you're like POV Remy.

• 38:03Brooke Averick?

  Yeah.

• 38:03Connor Wood?

And so like Remy jumps on the table and like the teacup kind of like like. Like tips a little, but not a lot, not a lot. It just tips a little bit and they go next to me and he goes.

• 38:19Connor Wood?

Started laughing. Cause we barely, we barely tipped. Like we're not falling off the table. It made me start laughing really hard. Oh, okay. That's it. That's my whole.

• 38:28Brooke Averick?

Well, I'm thinking like whenever I'm like doing rides, like I'm really conscious of my reactions and like. Like when I'm like with my friends, like I'm like, it's like almost like embarrassing to like react. When you're on a ride.

• 38:44Connor Wood?

Like you're trying to play it really cool.

• 38:46Brooke Averick?

Yeah, but they're also, it must be something freeing about being a single rider. In that capacity, or is it worse?

• 38:52Connor Wood?

Yeah, it was a little bit cathartic. I guess you're right. On the like.

• 38:55Brooke Averick?

  Yeah.

• 38:56Connor Wood?

Here I am. This is every, every real part of me.

• 38:58Brooke Averick?

  Yeah.

• 38:59Connor Wood?

  I'm alone.

• 39:00Brooke Averick?

  Just let, letting loose.

• 39:01Connor Wood?

At the Ratatouille experience, immersive experience, and I'm my, I'm me. Take me or leave me. Take me as I am or watch me as I go to the Ratatouille.

• 39:10Brooke Averick?

  Or leave me.

• 39:12Connor Wood?

This is where I leave you. Single rider lane.

• 39:14Brooke Averick?

Single rider in the lightning lane at the Ratatouille 3D immersive experience. Take it or leave it. Agreed.

• 39:27Connor Wood?

The, the way that these headphones are making you sound, you do sound like a youth pastor.

• 39:31Brooke Averick?

  Oh, what about?

• 39:33Connor Wood?

Just you have like a little bit of it, like a crisp echo, like I'm, like I'm attending Zoom church.

• 39:38Brooke Averick?

  Okay.

• 39:40Connor Wood?

  I love it though, completely.

• 39:41Brooke Averick?

I also went to a Baptist church.

• 39:43Connor Wood?

  For, why were they?

• 39:45Brooke Averick?

  In Austin.

• 39:46Connor Wood?

  Oh my God, how's Austin?

• 39:49Brooke Averick?

I did not. I only explored one city.

• 39:54Connor Wood?

  Okay.

• 39:54Brooke Averick?

  Which was St. Louis.

• 39:56Connor Wood?

Why did you pick St. Louis to explore?

• 39:58Brooke Averick?

Because I could not get access to my hotel room until 3pm and I got there at 9:30 a.

• 40:03Connor Wood?

My understanding is that that wouldn't be the city to go.

• 40:08Brooke Averick?

Well, the rest I I had to stay in my hotel room because like I literally like in between traveling and getting on stage like I really could only look at a wall.

• 40:15Connor Wood?

  Yeah.

• 40:17Brooke Averick?

Um, but I didn't have the option in St. Louis, so that was hard.

• 40:23Connor Wood?

I was gonna tell, I just remembered the thing that I was gonna tell you about your after party.

• 40:27Brooke Averick?

  What?

• 40:28Connor Wood?

So the next day you had like a brand event with Audible from Amazon and 10am event, day after party. It's just just an uphill battle for many.

• 40:45Brooke Averick?

I you know, my, I love Audible. It was the most amazing brunch. I was fighting internal demons and this is not like, I want to like be so clear about like how amazing this brunch was.

• 40:56Connor Wood?

  It was amazing.

• 40:57Brooke Averick?

And like I almost, I didn't even want to draw attention to the demons. Cause it's like, it was so not reflective of the the brunch that they threw. Like I felt horrible to to bring the demons into the space.

• 41:09Connor Wood?

  Yeah.

• 41:10Brooke Averick?

But you missed my live reading of Phoebe where the demons were about to come up.

• 41:15Connor Wood?

  Oh, no.

• 41:16Brooke Averick?

  Out of my mouth.

• 41:19Connor Wood?

  I mean.

• 41:19Brooke Averick?

So you, yeah, you you happen to be about running behind.

• 41:24Connor Wood?

I tried to get there so, so hard and everyone's like, our agent Rebecca's texting me. Where are you? Hey, where are like very kind, but like where are like you have a name? Name card like there's a seat. I'm like, I promise you, I'm trying to get there so hard. And finally I got there. I get dropped off at the address that I was texted. I get there and there's a place down the street called Phoebes and I'm like, oh my God, that's so cool that they would have this, the Phoebe event at Phoebes. That's so cool. So I walk in. With my suitcase, my, my checked bag, cause that I was without a home as well. And so I was living out of my suitcase.

• 42:09Connor Wood?

And I walk in past them and they're like, what are you doing in here? And it's the GM. And I was like, there's an event. I'm assuming it's in the back. And I'm just trying to get there. And she's like, there's no event here. I was like, I promise you there, there is though, like, maybe you didn't read it. And I'm like getting into it. And she's like, you have to leave. Like, we're not open. She's like filling out paperwork, bar paperwork.

• 42:29Brooke Averick?

  Right.

• 42:30Connor Wood?

And so that's really embarrassing. And I was like forcing my way into the back of this institution that's not even open yet. And it was not there. It was like, I was two blocks away. So then I'm walking 100 degrees out, pants sweating, giant suitcase, glasses on, and then I made it to your event. But what a coincidence, Phoebe's for Phoebe.

• 42:51Brooke Averick?

  That is a coincidence.

• 42:53Connor Wood?

  Uh.

• 42:53Brooke Averick?

  It's pre there for.

• 42:55Connor Wood?

And I got there and I was like, obviously completely parched, like 99% parched.

• 43:01Brooke Averick?

  Yeah.

• 43:01Connor Wood?

And I like chug this orange juice. Mimosa. I'm drunk again. I was so mad.

• 43:09Brooke Averick?

Yeah, I'm jealous. I was, I was scared to put anything in my system.

• 43:13Connor Wood?

  I didn't know that.

• 43:14Brooke Averick?

  Could have been helpful.

• 43:15Connor Wood?

I just didn't know that that was, I didn't even think of that it would be a mimosa. And I literally was like, I'm gonna have, I was about to have panic attack too. I left like pretty much right after you. But that was an amazing event.

• 43:27Brooke Averick?

It really was. Were you there for the video from Dylan?

• 43:30Connor Wood?

  No, I missed frigging everything.

• 43:31Brooke Averick?

Oh, that was amazing. They surprised me with the video from Dylan. Um, who it like, told me like two weeks ago or I don't know, time is not making sense to me right now, but that he was reading Phoebe and started the audiobook. And that guy goes through audiobooks so quickly.

• 43:49Connor Wood?

  I know.

• 43:50Brooke Averick?

Almost, he's almost, uh, seems to have put him in a slump or of some sorts.

• 43:56Connor Wood?

  What do you mean?

• 43:57Brooke Averick?

Hasn't, he hasn't followed up about it. I texted him like six times, like, hey, what part are you at?

• 44:05Connor Wood?

  He didn't reply?

• 44:06Brooke Averick?

No, he did, but he was like still at the beginning. Well, once he was like, he was like, I have to read, I'm, I'm in this other series that I'm really enjoying. So reading that. And then the second time I asked, he was like still at the beginning. So it just seems like,

• 44:21Brooke Averick?

um, he's just kind of, you know, taking his time through it, which is totally fine, but you know, obviously makes me sweat.

• 44:27Connor Wood?

  Sure.

• 44:29Brooke Averick?

  Um.

• 44:33Brooke Averick?

Do you still not know what happens at the end of the book?

• 44:36Connor Wood?

  I'm halfway.

• 44:38Brooke Averick?

No, you, you don't, you're fine, but like, I'm genuinely curious. Like it hasn't been spoiled?

• 44:42Connor Wood?

  No.

• 44:43Brooke Averick?

  Okay.

• 44:44Connor Wood?

Um, well, what, what had happened was when I moved, it got, Phoebe got put into my box of books. Um, but I just read, I finished another book this weekend.

• 44:55Brooke Averick?

  What'd you finish?

• 44:56Connor Wood?

  I read Giovanni's Room.

• 44:59Brooke Averick?

I saw a Tik Tok about that yesterday, about the first sentence. The first sentence of the book was really good. I forget it completely, but it was good. Was it about jumping out a window or something?

• 45:11Connor Wood?

You know what? Like, yeah. And I, I don't really understand how I keep. I'm, I'm getting books that are-

• 45:18Brooke Averick?

I stand at the window of this great house in the south of France as night falls, the night which is leading me to the most terrible morning of my life.

• 45:25Connor Wood?

  Yep.

• 45:25Brooke Averick?

Okay. Not, not jumping out, but when I read that, I thought-

• 45:28Connor Wood?

  Kill, killing self, yes.

• 45:30Brooke Averick?

That would be an option. Yeah.

• 45:31Connor Wood?

Um, I mean, it's just like a tragic, another tragic book, another horribly tragic, upsetting book in my docket. Thanks. And I'm kind of like into the tragedy of it all. I want to get, cause I'm going to leave for Europe on Saturday. I need to get two more tragic books.

• 45:52Brooke Averick?

  Um. I'm reading Yesterday.

• 45:56Connor Wood?

  About that.

• 45:57Brooke Averick?

Which is kind of like the book right now and I'm really captivated. Do you know what it's about?

• 46:04Connor Wood?

  Mm hmm.

• 46:05Brooke Averick?

It's about this like trad wife influencer who

• 46:10Connor Wood?

  Oh, yeah.

• 46:11Brooke Averick?

Gets transported back. Actually back in like the 19th century, like living as she has wanted to live, quote unquote.

• 46:23Brooke Averick?

But I'm not sure, like, there's obviously something like else going on, but I can't pick up on what it is. You know how there's like, obviously they're building up to some sort of reveal or twist or like something that's been there all along and like, I don't know what where it's going, but I'm also worried about how much I'm finding myself kind of like aligning with her in her monologue. And she's clearly like, she's, she's like a villain in her own right. So I'm worried about that.

• 46:54Brooke Averick?

But that's interesting. Like I'm sympathizing with her in the way that I sympathized with Joe Goldberg of you when I read those. Like that's good writing is when you're like, this person's awful, but like I get what they're saying.

• 47:06Connor Wood?

  Yeah.

• 47:06Brooke Averick?

Like when Joe was like, I had to kill this person. There was no other option. And I'm like, I see, I'm in your head. So I see what, I see what you're saying. It's the same with this woman.

• 47:17Brooke Averick?

Yeah. She's like, everybody wants what I have and they're just jealous. And I'm just like, I see where you're, I see where you're coming from.

• 47:26Brooke Averick?

But yeah, it's really interesting. Maybe you could read that with me.

• 47:29Connor Wood?

  Yeah, I'll jump in.

• 47:30Brooke Averick?

And it's also, I think, interesting as two people who have been on her end of the computer of like getting these comments. And it's just like, it's just, it's just really interesting.

• 47:41Connor Wood?

  I

• 47:41Brooke Averick?

I have no idea where it's going.

• 47:44Connor Wood?

Yeah, I'm, I'm curious about if I would like something like that. Cause I feel like when people are so on the nose with like, like even TV shows, when like the characters are like making a Tik Tok, I'm like, ugh.

• 47:55Brooke Averick?

No, but she's like, it's far removed enough. Like she's doing like trad wife content and like there's something sinister. Like it's not like your typical influencer.

• 48:06Connor Wood?

  Okay.

• 48:06Brooke Averick?

At all. Like she's some sort of psychopath, but I can't figure it out.

• 48:13Brooke Averick?

I'm really enjoying it. I forgot, we're 45 minutes in.

• 48:17Connor Wood?

  Oh.

• 48:17Brooke Averick?

But I did forget that I can talk about Phoebe and Netflix.

• 48:24Brooke Averick?

But I don't even know what to say because it feels anticlimactic because we're recording this on a Tuesday and I haven't said anything about it yet in real life. Until tomorrow. So I don't really know what else to say besides just, uh, yeah, that's a thing.

• 48:42Connor Wood?

  Well, what's a thing?

• 48:44Brooke Averick?

Um, Phoebe's in development at Netflix. And the girl with the biggest mouth that you're looking at and listening to has sat on that for over a year.

• 48:57Connor Wood?

  I do want to-

• 48:58Brooke Averick?

And that's what I want to focus on.

• 48:59Connor Wood?

I know, I do want to say you told me to and you know how hard it's been for me as well to not spill those beans. That's insane that you did that. Yeah.

• 49:08Brooke Averick?

Over a year ago, I was like starting to think about leaking it into the microphone when I was like, I have something big. Like if you go back, I think it was like March of 2025. I was like, I'm about to leak something. And because I thought I was going to be able to talk about it soon. But then they were like, no, we're going to wait till the book comes out. And I was like, uh, I don't think that's going to work at all for, for a girl like me.

• 49:31Connor Wood?

So fun to, so fun to say. Okay. Tell, tell them what it means that, that Phoebe would be in development at Netflix because it is confusing if you're not.

• 49:39Brooke Averick?

Can I say that's a great question? And when authors are like, I don't know what's going on when they're like talking about their adaptations, like they're really being genuine. Because like, I don't know and I'm scared to ask questions. But like, and I don't know what I can and can't say. And I also don't know a lot. I know that it's in development. There's a screenplay in the works. It, I don't know anything about, anything more than that. I don't know anything about casting. I will say I'm, I'm trying to speak, I've spent some time this past year trying to speak less about, uh, my crushes that have been also in development.

• 50:18Connor Wood?

  Yeah.

• 50:19Brooke Averick?

Should they be cast in this film and I have to be on set and talk to them. And I'm just curious about how that's going to go because it's just interesting. Like I'm sure these are three people that if I was not involved with the project, I would be obsessed with. If these gentlemen that are to be cast. And so the fact that I have to, you know, be professional about that is, is interesting.

• 50:42Connor Wood?

  Yeah.

• 50:43Brooke Averick?

And will be an interesting journey. And I'm looking forward to being professional about that and, and all that type of shit. And, you know, just growth and-

• 50:53Brooke Averick?

Co-workers and stuff like that, so that will be easy for me.

• 50:56Connor Wood?

  Oh my gosh, congratulations.

• 50:58Brooke Averick?

  But yeah, that's crazy.

• 51:00Connor Wood?

  That is actually

• 51:04Connor Wood?

  out of control.

• 51:05Brooke Averick?

But also, like, it doesn't, again, I don't know how things work, but like, this isn't, like, it's not like being filmed. I think like, until it's like, starts, like, being filmed, like, you don't know if your movie's gonna get made.

• 51:17Connor Wood?

  Yeah.

• 51:18Brooke Averick?

So like, it's in development, but it's not in production. Does that make sense?

• 51:22Connor Wood?

Yeah, well, that's what I was asking about, development, because development's confusing.

• 51:25Brooke Averick?

A lot of things are always in development.

• 51:27Connor Wood?

  I know.

• 51:27Brooke Averick?

But I think, once you make it to production, then it's like, alright, let's go.

• 51:31Connor Wood?

I hate that word, "development," it like, freaks me out.

• 51:33Brooke Averick?

I think, you know, it looks good from where I'm standing, people are excited and, and very hands-on, and the team is fabulous, and I'm, you know, deeply in love with everyone involved, and the producer, Elizabeth, is, uh, did The Love Hypothesis, which, you know, that book had me kicking my feet, and The Nightingale, which is coming out soon.

• 51:56Connor Wood?

  Yeah.

• 51:56Brooke Averick?

  So that's great company.

• 51:58Connor Wood?

  Yeah.

• 51:58Brooke Averick?

And I'm pretty damn excited and look forward to, you know, exploring that piece of my professional career. I think I'm, I'll be an executive producer, but I am, I don't know.

• 52:11Connor Wood?

  I think you would be.

• 52:13Brooke Averick?

That was my understanding, but I haven't seen, like, the article talking about it, so I don't know if it's gonna say that, or if that's still the truth. So, I don't know. But that was my understanding.

• 52:24Connor Wood?

You'd be create, or writer, creator.

• 52:28Brooke Averick?

Yeah, like, based on the book by Brooke Averick, for sure.

• 52:32Connor Wood?

And I think that that would make you an executive producer.

• 52:35Brooke Averick?

We'll, we'll definitely see. I'd like to be as involved as I possibly can. I know there are a lot of authors that are like, "I don't, like, you do that, that's your thing, and the book is my thing, and I don't need to be involved."

• 52:46Connor Wood?

  Yeah.

• 52:47Brooke Averick?

I, you know, I wanna be as involved as I can, and shit like that, so...

• 52:53Connor Wood?

  Just so insane.

• 52:55Brooke Averick?

So insane. And, yeah, what I was saying is that, you know, I don't, I'm not comfortable being praised, but I would really like to be praised for not talking about it for

• 53:06Connor Wood?

  No, it's, it's really crazy.

• 53:08Brooke Averick?

I think that's the most amazing thing I've ever done.

• 53:10Connor Wood?

  Well done.

• 53:11Brooke Averick?

I did tell people, like, on the street...

• 53:15Brooke Averick?

Like if they were like, "Hey, I'm excited for your book." And I was like, "Thank you." Like, it's in development at Netflix. Like, that was a conversation that was had many times.

• 53:21Connor Wood?

  Yeah.

• 53:22Brooke Averick?

  But not into a microphone.

• 53:23Connor Wood?

  Sure.

• 53:24Brooke Averick?

  And that's what matters.

• 53:26Connor Wood?

Sure. Well done. It's just, that sounds like a fake senate.

• 53:32Brooke Averick?

  Oh, I totally agree.

• 53:33Connor Wood?

  Motion picture?

• 53:35Brooke Averick?

  It's a major motion picture and, yeah, I don't know, I don't know a lot, but I know that I'm excited.

• 53:42Connor Wood?

  Let's effing go.

• 53:44Brooke Averick?

  Yeah.

• 53:45Connor Wood?

  Um, I will say-

• 53:47Brooke Averick?

  We can be in it.

• 53:48Connor Wood?

  That would be amazing.

• 53:50Brooke Averick?

  Yeah.

• 53:50Connor Wood?

  Could you imagine?

• 53:52Brooke Averick?

I think that you, there's a, kind of like a sleeper hit role. You have not met him yet.

• 54:00Connor Wood?

  A sleeper hit role.

• 54:01Brooke Averick?

Brother-in-law. He's like, one of my favorite characters.

• 54:05Connor Wood?

  Oh.

• 54:05Brooke Averick?

I think he would be really phenomenal in that role.

• 54:08Connor Wood?

  Wow.

• 54:08Brooke Averick?

Once you meet, once you meet him.

• 54:10Connor Wood?

Okay, I gotta dive back in. All my boxes are still fully packed and not unpacked.

• 54:16Brooke Averick?

Listen to the audiobook if that's easier.

• 54:18Connor Wood?

I don't know if I can listen to you read it to me.

• 54:20Brooke Averick?

  I wouldn't. Yeah, I wouldn't.

• 54:22Connor Wood?

I think I have to read it. I've already started. I mean, I texted you. I'm gonna have to restart the book.

• 54:26Brooke Averick?

I was gonna say, or, cause what you read were like, uh, an early, was an early-

• 54:30Connor Wood?

Yeah, and I got, I got my six copies. They arrived to my apartment, so.

• 54:34Brooke Averick?

I would start it over if you can, but also, you know, I wouldn't say you have to have to.

• 54:38Connor Wood?

  I'm going to.

• 54:39Brooke Averick?

But I think there's gonna be a lot of stuff that you, you kind of miss if it's distant in your mind.

• 54:44Connor Wood?

I'm, I'm going to restart it.

• 54:46Brooke Averick?

  But for sure.

• 54:47Connor Wood?

I'm gonna restart it. Um, I do also wanna say, Joe.

• 54:56Brooke Averick?

  Joe Keery?

• 54:57Connor Wood?

Keery. I have seen him every day for the past two weeks.

• 55:04Brooke Averick?

  Nope. No comment.

• 55:07Connor Wood?

  What is going on?

• 55:08Brooke Averick?

  I am, I'm-

• 55:10Connor Wood?

  Yeah, I know, I know.

• 55:11Brooke Averick?

  Professional.

• 55:12Connor Wood?

  I know you're a professional.

• 55:14Brooke Averick?

He's a very talented actor and musician. And would I look forward to working with him one day if the possibility presented itself?

• 55:23Connor Wood?

  Of course.

• 55:23Brooke Averick?

  Yes, 100%.

• 55:26Connor Wood?

  Of course. Hey, I-

• 55:28Brooke Averick?

  That's it.

• 55:28Connor Wood?

Well, you did that, though, because I have, I have never sought out Joe Carey. I have seen him, Brooke, every day for two weeks, and we are making-

• 55:37Brooke Averick?

And ask about the location and the coordinates.

• 55:39Connor Wood?

I will tell you. I don't want to out him.

• 55:42Brooke Averick?

  Okay.

• 55:43Connor Wood?

The last time I saw him, I'm going, there, there, because it was like, it was like the fourth time. And we make, we make eye contact and we-

• 55:53Brooke Averick?

That's interesting that you would be seeing him at this time when I'm kind of like, he would be like-

• 55:59Connor Wood?

  That's what I'm saying. That's what I'm saying.

• 56:01Brooke Averick?

Fan cast for Phoebe. And, you know, I love the guy's music. I've been speaking about that openly. It's just all interesting when the pieces come together like that.

• 56:12Brooke Averick?

  There's nothing on your shirt.

• 56:14Connor Wood?

Um, you know, I know. You did that. So, we make eye contact every time, and we hold it.

• 56:21Brooke Averick?

I wonder if he's still acting. Actually, he is gonna be on Broadway. I bet that's why he's in New York.

• 56:25Connor Wood?

Oh, well, the last time I saw him, he was wearing, he was wearing shorts that were so short, I said, there's no way Joe Carey would be wearing those. And then I'm like, so that-

• 56:34Brooke Averick?

  He was in micros?

• 56:36Connor Wood?

  Brooke, like Sophie shorts.

• 56:39Brooke Averick?

  Like, was he working out?

• 56:41Connor Wood?

No, he's just, he had a tote bag on.

• 56:43Brooke Averick?

Oh, he was in a tote?

• 56:45Connor Wood?

No, I think he was like going to the park. I don't know.

• 56:47Brooke Averick?

  Wow.

• 56:48Connor Wood?

  Yeah, um-

• 56:49Brooke Averick?

What was the material of the shorts?

• 56:50Connor Wood?

  Like nylon.

• 56:52Brooke Averick?

Whoa, what kind of shirt was he wearing?

• 56:54Connor Wood?

  T-shirt.

• 56:56Brooke Averick?

Like plain? Or graphic? Or what?

• 56:59Connor Wood?

Like cuffed. Like cuffed, uh, or a-

• 57:02Brooke Averick?

  Collared?

• 57:02Connor Wood?

No, like a, it's a different color, like different colored neck.

• 57:06Brooke Averick?

It's more of like a color blocking?

• 57:08Connor Wood?

  Yeah.

• 57:09Brooke Averick?

  Okay.

• 57:10Connor Wood?

Um, but I, I think we're about to break the ice. I do feel like the next time I see him, I'm gonna say, stop looking at me.

• 57:19Brooke Averick?

Should we, do you want to role play?

• 57:20Connor Wood?

  Sure. Are you him?

• 57:22Brooke Averick?

Uh, ooh, what would you be more comfortable with?

• 57:25Connor Wood?

  Well, I, I feel like-

• 57:26Brooke Averick?

I guess you should be you, yeah.

• 57:27Connor Wood?

I feel like I should be me in this.

• 57:28Brooke Averick?

  Yeah.

• 57:29Connor Wood?

  Okay.

• 57:30Brooke Averick?

Okay, do you want me to be in the micros or no?

• 57:32Connor Wood?

  Yeah, be in the micros.

• 57:33Brooke Averick?

Okay. And what am I doing?

• 57:36Connor Wood?

  I don't know. Well, we're at a stoplight.

• 57:38Brooke Averick?

  Okay.

• 57:39Connor Wood?

And I was like, "Hey, man. This is so weird." Um, I feel like I keep running into you. Now, does it feel like I'm hitting on him?

• 57:51Brooke Averick?

I don't think that that would be his first thought.

• 57:53Connor Wood?

  Okay.

• 57:55Brooke Averick?

But, like, do you think that he's picked up on your presence?

• 57:58Connor Wood?

I, guys, I, like, don't expect you to believe me. All good, totally fine. I don't expect you to believe me. We're making eye contact. It's like you would make eye contact with someone's, someone else's, your friend's friend that you've met a couple of times and like,

• 58:14Connor Wood?

  like this.

• 58:14Brooke Averick?

Do you think, like, he definitely, like, recognizes you?

• 58:17Connor Wood?

I don't know, but I'm, I'm saying, like, if, if I were, like, a bit more confident, I would definitely say that we had some sort of connection. I'd like, I obviously, I'm like, "Oh, that's Joe Keery." But, um, I don't think he's like, "Oh, that's the..." I think it's probably, maybe at most, he's maybe, like, seen, like, a clip or something.

• 58:37Brooke Averick?

  Right.

• 58:39Connor Wood?

I'd love to have him on the podcast.

• 58:42Connor Wood?

  I had something really-

• 58:43Brooke Averick?

In the name of professionalism, I will skip that today.

• 58:46Connor Wood?

In the name of Jesus Christ. Um, I was trying to unpack my bags last night. I was kind of-

• 58:53Brooke Averick?

Wait, we're not done. We're not done. We're not done.

• 58:55Connor Wood?

  Oh, okay.

• 58:56Brooke Averick?

Yeah, sorry, start over. I'm Joe Keery and my mic was at a stoplight.

• 59:00Connor Wood?

Okay. Am I breaking the ice?

• 59:04Brooke Averick?

Yes. Yeah, he's not gonna say anything.

• 59:09Connor Wood?

  Hey, man. Hey, man. Um-

• 59:11Brooke Averick?

  Hey.

• 59:13Connor Wood?

  Go Knicks.

• 59:14Brooke Averick?

  Yup.

• 59:16Connor Wood?

  All right.

• 59:18Connor Wood?

See you around. And I will-

• 59:19Brooke Averick?

You need an opening line, hook, line, and sinker.

• 59:22Connor Wood?

There's just no way to approach it without me being like-

• 59:25Brooke Averick?

I think you can be like, "I've been seeing you. I, I see you every day."

• 59:28Connor Wood?

No, Brooke, that is, that is like, he's like a very famous person. I'm not gonna say, "I see you every day." Because-

• 59:36Brooke Averick?

Um, yeah, well, you need to work.

• 59:38Connor Wood?

He could be, he could be, like, high or something and maybe, no, like, smoking, like, off of, like, THC and could be just, like, maybe a lingering eye, you know, like-

• 59:50Brooke Averick?

Wait, why is he off the THC?

• 59:52Connor Wood?

Like, maybe that's why he's staring at me.

• 59:54Brooke Averick?

Oh. Okay, well, I mean, I'm pretty confident that like when it comes down to it, like you'll know exactly what to say. Cause you always do.

• 1:00:05Connor Wood?

Yeah, I mean, there's so much to talk about right now in New York.

• 1:00:10Brooke Averick?

  Yeah, if you, you should.

• 1:00:14Brooke Averick?

Maybe you could be like, hey, I'm listening to you right now and then show him your phone.

• 1:00:18Connor Wood?

  It's like fan vibes, though.

• 1:00:23Brooke Averick?

  Okay, um.

• 1:00:26Connor Wood?

  What'd you? What'd you?

• 1:00:28Brooke Averick?

Hmm, I will keep thinking on it.

• 1:00:29Connor Wood?

Yeah, what do you, uh? What do you got going on the rest of the day?

• 1:00:33Brooke Averick?

  That's good.

• 1:00:35Connor Wood?

That's like hitting on him again.

• 1:00:37Brooke Averick?

  I don't think that, I don't think so.

• 1:00:41Connor Wood?

What do you got going on the rest of the day? If I come up to you to stop.

• 1:00:44Brooke Averick?

  Just a question.

• 1:00:46Connor Wood?

Yeah, but that's not a question for a stranger.

• 1:00:49Brooke Averick?

Yeah, you need to, I'm telling you, you need something to break the ice.

• 1:00:53Connor Wood?

Well, okay, imagine someone coming up to you.

• 1:00:58Connor Wood?

And you don't like being approached, you know, like imagine.

• 1:01:02Connor Wood?

Imagine a stranger comes up to you. What would you want them to say?

• 1:01:05Brooke Averick?

I know, I'm trying to. I like when people say something really, really specific instead of just like more small talk.

• 1:01:14Connor Wood?

  Sure.

• 1:01:15Brooke Averick?

So. Or maybe like a targeted question, so I have something specific to answer and say.

• 1:01:23Connor Wood?

  Okay.

• 1:01:24Brooke Averick?

So. Yeah, maybe we can think of a targeted question.

• 1:01:29Connor Wood?

Where did you get those shorts?

• 1:01:30Brooke Averick?

I was gonna say, like, could we do? Do we want to do an outfit based question or what?

• 1:01:35Connor Wood?

I think that that's a, that's a high compliment for me. I really like the fit of those pants.

• 1:01:40Brooke Averick?

  Yeah.

• 1:01:43Connor Wood?

Okay, I'll do, I'll do clothes.

• 1:01:44Brooke Averick?

We can, yeah, let's go with a question.

• 1:01:46Connor Wood?

The way I, I promise you, I'm gonna see him this afternoon. I see him every day.

• 1:01:53Brooke Averick?

If, if you guys strike up a genuine like connection, like you, you have got to include me on it in this one. You just have to.

• 1:02:01Connor Wood?

  I will.

• 1:02:02Brooke Averick?

Do you know I've had nightmares about you going out with the off-campus boys? Actual nightmares where I wake up in a cold sweat.

• 1:02:10Connor Wood?

It's gonna happen. The one of them is very, very... The one that you like is very close.

• 1:02:17Brooke Averick?

  Don't mind?

• 1:02:18Connor Wood?

  No, not him.

• 1:02:19Brooke Averick?

  Antonio?

• 1:02:20Connor Wood?

  He was with Dylan.

• 1:02:23Brooke Averick?

  What do you mean?

• 1:02:25Connor Wood?

They were on... They were with like Tag Heuer or something in Monaco, I think. On a boat together. Dylan and Sebastian. What's his name?

• 1:02:34Brooke Averick?

Antonio? Well, he's like... His Broadway lore is what's pulling me in beyond belief. Um, I... I'm gonna look into that, cuz that's not something that I saw.

• 1:02:48Connor Wood?

  I could be wrong.

• 1:02:49Brooke Averick?

You might be. That doesn't make sense to me right off the bat, but I'm gonna look into it.

• 1:02:53Connor Wood?

  Dylan posted.

• 1:02:55Brooke Averick?

  Right now?

• 1:02:56Connor Wood?

No. It's already on his feed.

• 1:02:58Brooke Averick?

  In feed?

• 1:02:59Connor Wood?

  Yeah.

• 1:02:59Brooke Averick?

  Okay.

• 1:02:59Connor Wood?

What did you think of that video of the main dude dancing with Kid Leroy?

• 1:03:04Brooke Averick?

That's a really good question because it's pretty controversial. I... Love him.

• 1:03:10Connor Wood?

  Sure.

• 1:03:11Brooke Averick?

I love when he dances and moves his body. I loved him dancing. I love everything about him. The only thing that gives me pause is the lifting the shirt up.

• 1:03:21Connor Wood?

  Okay.

• 1:03:25Brooke Averick?

  Who is that?

• 1:03:28Brooke Averick?

Oh, that's not the one I like at all, Connor.

• 1:03:31Connor Wood?

  Oh my gosh, be nice.

• 1:03:33Brooke Averick?

I'm not saying I don't like him, but it's not the one that I'm talking about. Even a little bit.

• 1:03:39Connor Wood?

  Okay, Jesus.

• 1:03:41Brooke Averick?

Yeah, that's Josh something. Josh H.

• 1:03:44Connor Wood?

  Hutcheson.

• 1:03:47Brooke Averick?

But, um, good try. That could have been scary.

• 1:03:55Connor Wood?

I was unpacking... I was trying to start unpacking my boxes

• 1:03:59Connor Wood?

in my house last night, and I kind of like stumbled and I tripped and I fell and I tripped over a box. I tweaked my knee and I just laid on the ground for a little bit.

• 1:04:07Brooke Averick?

  That's fine.

• 1:04:08Connor Wood?

  It was really...

• 1:04:09Brooke Averick?

  How unpacked are you?

• 1:04:10Connor Wood?

  No.

• 1:04:11Brooke Averick?

  Okay.

• 1:04:12Connor Wood?

  I'm not.

• 1:04:14Brooke Averick?

I'm genuinely... My house is probably in the same boat as yours right now.

• 1:04:18Connor Wood?

Yeah, I hope... I hope, um... I wish I could...

• 1:04:21Brooke Averick?

  I wish maybe I'd...

• 1:04:22Connor Wood?

Sorry. I wish I could put all of my belongings in a bonfire. And start over.

• 1:04:29Brooke Averick?

  Extreme home makeover vibes.

• 1:04:31Connor Wood?

Yeah, like donate every single thing I own. And I get to start over, please.

• 1:04:38Brooke Averick?

  Yeah. Um. Totally aligned.

• 1:04:41Connor Wood?

  My backyard is really nice.

• 1:04:43Brooke Averick?

It's unbelievable. Are you going to?

• 1:04:48Brooke Averick?

  Like? Get it like professionally?

• 1:04:51Connor Wood?

I think I have to bring in a

• 1:04:52Brooke Averick?

  Backyardified?

• 1:04:53Connor Wood?

I think I have to bring in a professional to tidy it up. Cause I was getting, I put it on my close friends and I was getting a lot of comments that were like.

• 1:05:03Connor Wood?

Hey, so that looks like, like an alley, you know?

• 1:05:06Brooke Averick?

No, it's like, it's such an insanely amazing space to have in New York. It's like scary looking right now, but like the potential is out of this world.

• 1:05:16Connor Wood?

  It's terrifying looking.

• 1:05:18Brooke Averick?

  Right now.

• 1:05:19Connor Wood?

  Yeah.

• 1:05:20Brooke Averick?

But the potential is out of this world.

• 1:05:22Connor Wood?

There's a lot of potential and you know, I love potential. God, I love potential.

• 1:05:25Brooke Averick?

Okay, I really want to unbox this Izzy box.

• 1:05:28Connor Wood?

  Okay.

• 1:05:29Brooke Averick?

But I think we can do that in the bonus.

• 1:05:30Connor Wood?

Oh, we'll do that in the bonus.

• 1:05:32Brooke Averick?

And I will see you there.

• 1:05:35Connor Wood?

What an amazing episode this has been.

• 1:05:37Brooke Averick?

Are you being serious or sarcastic?

• 1:05:39Connor Wood?

Yeah, well, I feel like. No, I'm being, that was genuine.

• 1:05:45Connor Wood?

And I'm sorry about my delivery because I was being serious. I was just saying like, we caught up, you announced your book or your movie.

• 1:05:51Brooke Averick?

  Forty-five minutes in?

• 1:05:53Connor Wood?

Well, that's, that'll be for the real ones that stuck around after we talked about. Bug sprays and sunscreen for 12 minutes.

• 1:06:01Brooke Averick?

I feel like I didn't do it justice. Cause like, I. I'm sorry. I could, I'll talk about it more, but I also like, don't know anything. So.

• 1:06:11Brooke Averick?

  Anyway.

• 1:06:12Connor Wood?

It's a big announcement. I think however it came out authentically is, is the best way to do it.

• 1:06:16Brooke Averick?

I just feel like I was sitting there on a year and like best I could do was forty-five in.

• 1:06:22Brooke Averick?

I'll be back. I'll do something, maybe like by the time this has aired, like I will have done an amazing sort of announcement on another platform.

• 1:06:30Connor Wood?

  Sure.

• 1:06:31Brooke Averick?

But this is my favorite platform here with you.

• 1:06:33Connor Wood?

  Same.

• 1:06:34Brooke Averick?

  So.

• 1:06:35Connor Wood?

Do you want to hear something funny?

• 1:06:36Brooke Averick?

  Yeah.

• 1:06:37Connor Wood?

Yesterday, I was, I was gonna go get poke. And I ordered from the person and I said, can I get the tucapone? So they mixed up the words. And with that, congrats on your announcements. I got tucapone yesterday and we'll let you guys go and we'll see you in the box.

• 1:06:53Brooke Averick?

Congrats to you on everything. Let's go.

• 1:06:58Connor Wood?

  Tucapone.
