• 1:06Brooke Averick?

So, Rob, my cat, he was supposed to be in the video today. He was supposed to be in the studio.

• 1:13Connor Wood?

  I heard.

• 1:16Brooke Averick?

Couldn't make it. Tried to get him in the car. We had to turn right back around.

• 1:20Connor Wood?

  He was making noise?

• 1:21Brooke Averick?

Yeah, he was screaming body murder.

• 1:23Connor Wood?

  He's a diva.

• 1:23Brooke Averick?

  I appreciate the feedback, but...

• 1:26Connor Wood?

Was it real screams? You know how cats can go?

• 1:29Brooke Averick?

It's not any sort of meow or it's a scream. It's a guttural scream.

• 1:36Connor Wood?

  He doesn't like the car?

• 1:37Brooke Averick?

Hates the car. I mean, I think he thinks he's going to the vet. He's never been in a car for a good reason. You know?

• 1:43Connor Wood?

  Yeah.

• 1:43Brooke Averick?

He's either going to the hospital for multiple blood transfusions or going to the vet.

• 1:49Connor Wood?

  Or escaping a fire.

• 1:52Brooke Averick?

No, he wasn't around for that.

• 1:53Connor Wood?

  Oh.

• 1:54Brooke Averick?

  That was just John.

• 1:55Connor Wood?

  So he has no idea.

• 1:56Brooke Averick?

But if everyone had the current pets. Sorry, I'm gonna have a little bit of a hard time like getting the words out today, I think.

• 2:03Connor Wood?

  I know.

• 2:04Brooke Averick?

But know that they're inside of me.

• 2:06Connor Wood?

  Let them out.

• 2:06Brooke Averick?

Um, if everybody who evacuated for the fires with me had the current pets that they have, we've, we would have had about like 16 cats and

• 2:16Connor Wood?

  I know.

• 2:17Brooke Averick?

  Two dogs.

• 2:17Connor Wood?

  I know.

• 2:18Brooke Averick?

In one house and that would have been scary, but all this is, uh,

• 2:21Connor Wood?

  To be said.

• 2:22Brooke Averick?

I'm trying to, basically, uh, what I'm trying to say is that I, um, I ended things with, with my situationship.

• 2:29Connor Wood?

  What?

• 2:29Brooke Averick?

  Yup. Ended things.

• 2:31Connor Wood?

  How does?

• 2:32Brooke Averick?

It's on and off for a, a long time, but I'm ready to settle down and really commit to that one partner who is the whole

• 2:41Connor Wood?

I'm glad, cause you've been really all over the place recently.

• 2:46Brooke Averick?

  Yeah, yeah.

• 2:47Connor Wood?

It's nice to see you settling down.

• 2:48Brooke Averick?

I'm finally committing. This partner really gives me everything that I need and want in a relationship.

• 2:54Connor Wood?

  Good, bro.

• 2:54Brooke Averick?

And then a little bit more.

• 2:56Connor Wood?

  Oh.

• 2:56Brooke Averick?

  And then double it.

• 2:57Connor Wood?

And kind of up and through.

• 2:58Brooke Averick?

  Yeah, yeah.

• 2:59Connor Wood?

  That's great.

• 3:00Brooke Averick?

  So I'm talking about PetSmart.

• 3:02Connor Wood?

She's talking about PetSmart, y'all. It's nice that you found your partner here, but there's no way they have flexible auto ship and same day delivery.

• 3:10Brooke Averick?

I'm talking flexible auto ship. I'm talking same day delivery. I'm talking, I can go into the store. What more could you want from a partner? I'm talking about the whole package.

• 3:23Connor Wood?

You're not talking about this. And you're not talking about this. I'm talking about this. Okay, got it.

• 3:31Brooke Averick?

  All right.

• 3:31Connor Wood?

Very clear. So break up with the other guy. PetSmart's waiting. It's time. Visit petsmart.com and set up auto ship today. Your pet deserves a full package and so do you.

• 3:58Brooke Averick?

I want to flag again that I'm doing a really fun thing this week that requires a lot of talking. And so, right now, during the podcast, and maybe for the future, I might be broken. I just want to let everyone know the words are struggling to come out in the way that I would love them to. And I feel a little bit embarrassed and I just want to

• 4:23Brooke Averick?

  disclaim. Got there eventually.

• 4:30Brooke Averick?

And that's it. And that's it. It might be, I might be a little bit different than you're used to today and maybe I won't be, but I already have been, so it's been pretty difficult.

• 4:38Connor Wood?

We'll get you there. Don't you worry about it.

• 4:39Brooke Averick?

  Yeah, yeah.

• 4:40Connor Wood?

Hi and welcome back to Brooke and Connor Make a Podcast.

• 4:42Brooke Averick?

  Oh, sorry. Hi.

• 4:44Connor Wood?

  No, it's important to-

• 4:45Brooke Averick?

Hi and welcome back to Brooke and Connor Make a Podcast.

• 4:46Connor Wood?

It's important to disclaim at the top.

• 4:48Brooke Averick?

  I love disclaimers.

• 4:49Connor Wood?

  Expectations.

• 4:51Brooke Averick?

I love that. I love setting expectations and disclaiming.

• 4:54Connor Wood?

  Um, so, uh, hi?

• 4:57Brooke Averick?

Uh, yeah, you could say that, period. On no ship.

• 5:00Connor Wood?

Do you have anything you want to?

• 5:03Brooke Averick?

  Your haircut?

• 5:03Connor Wood?

Say it to me? No, but thank you. You didn't say anything. What do you think about it?

• 5:07Brooke Averick?

  I like it.

• 5:08Connor Wood?

  Thanks, but no.

• 5:10Brooke Averick?

  Your slippers?

• 5:12Connor Wood?

  No.

• 5:13Brooke Averick?

  Your wicker slippers?

• 5:14Connor Wood?

  No, not my wickers.

• 5:15Brooke Averick?

Your holes in your knees of your pants?

• 5:17Connor Wood?

No, God, thank you so much. You're nailing it across the board and I appreciate all those things that you're noticing.

• 5:22Brooke Averick?

  Is it physical?

• 5:23Connor Wood?

  It's my half.

• 5:24Brooke Averick?

  Your half?

• 5:25Connor Wood?

  Yeah, it's my half.

• 5:27Brooke Averick?

Happy frickin' half. Oh, I'm mortified that I didn't have that written in my hobonichi.

• 5:34Connor Wood?

This is something that you can put in for next year.

• 5:35Brooke Averick?

  Yeah, yeah, yeah.

• 5:36Connor Wood?

Just so everyone knows, March 11th, that's going to be my half.

• 5:40Brooke Averick?

Oh, what did you do for my half?

• 5:43Connor Wood?

Oh my God. Well, you do like your space, so I did give you your space on your half.

• 5:46Brooke Averick?

  Appreciate you.

• 5:47Connor Wood?

  Yeah.

• 5:47Brooke Averick?

Yeah. My full is coming up, which

• 5:50Connor Wood?

I know it is. I saw it in your hobo.

• 5:52Brooke Averick?

I have a, I've been so aware of my own mortality.

• 5:56Connor Wood?

Yeah, we don't need to. Me too.

• 5:59Brooke Averick?

In a very scary way. And I think it's the impending, you know, you know, everything is impending and shit like that. But you know, it doesn't help. There's a new app. Have you seen Death Clock?

• 6:12Connor Wood?

Death Clock hasn't come across my desk. What could it be?

• 6:14Brooke Averick?

It's some, I've been getting ads for it because my phone is also in my brain. Some sort of like AI death estimator based off of things about you.

• 6:26Connor Wood?

  Like your lifestyle?

• 6:27Brooke Averick?

Based on lifestyle and other family history, I would assume and other shit. It makes an educated guess about when the day you will die.

• 6:34Connor Wood?

  Super off.

• 6:34Brooke Averick?

And how, yeah. Oh, I love that.

• 6:36Connor Wood?

  Wait, that's cool.

• 6:38Brooke Averick?

  Oh, why do I agree?

• 6:41Connor Wood?

  Um, that's really cool.

• 6:43Brooke Averick?

  Yeah.

• 6:43Connor Wood?

  Okay, getting now, running.

• 6:45Brooke Averick?

Okay, okay. Downloading now on Auto Ship?

• 6:48Connor Wood?

Um, run, don't walk and download Death Clock.

• 6:50Brooke Averick?

Yeah, yeah. Uh, it's just like a feel good type of thing.

• 6:54Connor Wood?

The thing is, why not? One, let your hair down and find out when you'll perish. Two,

• 7:02Connor Wood?

that it also doesn't calculate if you were to get in, get hit by a car.

• 7:06Brooke Averick?

I was gonna say, if I could tell you, if I, you had to choose between me telling you how you're gonna die or when you're gonna die, which would you rather know?

• 7:14Connor Wood?

How or when? Hmm. It's hard because if you were to tell me you're gonna drown, what am I not supposed to go swimming? My, one of my few very, very simple pleasures in this life. Swimming, vanilla ice cream.

• 7:27Brooke Averick?

I will say, all of the books I've read where the plot line is like somebody knowing when and how they're gonna die and avoiding the very thing that is gonna kill them in avoiding it, that's how they meet what kills them.

• 7:43Connor Wood?

  And you know what?

• 7:44Brooke Averick?

So you're gonna, you're gonna die regardless.

• 7:46Connor Wood?

  You still, and you

• 7:47Brooke Averick?

Like you stay home and a tree crashes through the window, you know?

• 7:50Connor Wood?

  Yeah, that's Final Destination.

• 7:51Brooke Averick?

  Yeah.

• 7:52Connor Wood?

Yeah, I gotta live my life.

• 7:54Brooke Averick?

You have to. You literally have to.

• 7:58Connor Wood?

Yeah, I don't know. I don't know that an app could be like, hey, this is how it's gonna happen. It could say, I guess it could say when, but.

• 8:06Connor Wood?

That's the same as anything else.

• 8:08Brooke Averick?

  Um.

• 8:09Connor Wood?

What if it was like 140 years from now and be like, hang on.

• 8:13Brooke Averick?

I wonder if our lifespan, if the human lifespan will increase by the time we get there.

• 8:20Brooke Averick?

By there, I mean like 100.

• 8:22Connor Wood?

It'd be a damn shame if like, these are awesome bodies now. These tight little thangs. And then like, when we get real saggy.

• 8:33Connor Wood?

They're gonna be like, oh, by the way, we can extend your life and be like, and I have my balls are touching my knees like, for what? I gotta throw them over my shoulders to go to the, to go to the store?

• 8:41Brooke Averick?

  Yeah.

• 8:41Connor Wood?

I don't know if I wanna extend this.

• 8:43Brooke Averick?

  Right. I get that.

• 8:44Connor Wood?

  Yeah.

• 8:45Brooke Averick?

I feel like 100 years is pretty solid.

• 8:49Connor Wood?

  It's fine, given what-

• 8:50Brooke Averick?

  90 is solid.

• 8:51Connor Wood?

  Given what we know. Sure.

• 8:55Brooke Averick?

  Sure. Anyway.

• 8:58Connor Wood?

Yeah, we can, I mean, we can wrap that up. I do wanna say a couple of things really, really quick on that. Um, no, I don't at all, actually. I have so much random lore for today.

• 9:09Brooke Averick?

Oh, I do too. I mean, the first note in my Hobonichi is jade walnuts.

• 9:13Connor Wood?

  Walk me through jade.

• 9:15Brooke Averick?

Um, I'm on jade walnut talk. Basically, if you take two walnuts and just rub them together, kind of like this in your hand and like, I mean, I think it, my understanding is that it could take years, but you just keep rubbing and rubbing and then eventually they turn into jade walnuts.

• 9:34Connor Wood?

  Perfect.

• 9:35Brooke Averick?

Which are like, you actually wouldn't believe the transformation of regular walnut to jade walnut. It's like very matte, a regular walnut, you know?

• 9:45Connor Wood?

  Yeah.

• 9:45Brooke Averick?

There's no shine to it. These are like jewels, the jade walnuts. They're glistening.

• 9:52Connor Wood?

Can I see a jade walnut, please?

• 9:56Brooke Averick?

The more, you just keep rubbing them, rubbing them together.

• 10:00Connor Wood?

  Really awesome.

• 10:01Brooke Averick?

  For years.

• 10:04Brooke Averick?

I'm sitting in my bed at night, just watching people rub walnuts together.

• 10:10Connor Wood?

Bro, you should make this happen for yourself. Okay, so polishing my fancy walnuts.

• 10:15Brooke Averick?

Those are already, she's been polishing those, you can tell.

• 10:18Connor Wood?

  She been at it.

• 10:19Brooke Averick?

Yeah, she been at it. They're already starting to have that particular type of shine to them.

• 10:23Connor Wood?

Well, this is something that I can wrap my head around only because I was really into fidget spinners and those little dot things that you push through.

• 10:28Brooke Averick?

  Yeah.

• 10:29Connor Wood?

  And out.

• 10:29Brooke Averick?

  Yeah.

• 10:30Connor Wood?

So like this could be something, maybe that could land on my desk.

• 10:33Brooke Averick?

No, I'm really excited. I've been actively like looking for walnuts. Are there walnuts in LA?

• 10:38Connor Wood?

I think that you could probably go to the Grove and go to that little farmer's market area.

• 10:41Brooke Averick?

I want to find one like in a natural way. Like I want to like meet someone in the wild, you know?

• 10:47Connor Wood?

  Meet a walnut?

• 10:49Brooke Averick?

Yeah, it's like I don't like buying a walnut from the farmer's market is the equivalent of like using a dating app. You know, I want to meet a walnut naturally in the wild.

• 10:59Connor Wood?

I don't know. What trees produce walnuts and are they native to our home?

• 11:02Brooke Averick?

  I was wondering.

• 11:03Connor Wood?

  You know?

• 11:05Brooke Averick?

Uh, it's not an oak tree.

• 11:06Connor Wood?

Okay, let's guess. Let's try to get there.

• 11:07Brooke Averick?

  Oak is acorn.

• 11:09Connor Wood?

Oak is acorn. Pine is pine cone.

• 11:12Brooke Averick?

  Could it be elm?

• 11:13Connor Wood?

I don't think elms are like something we come across day to day.

• 11:16Brooke Averick?

  Oh, it's the jugland.

• 11:19Connor Wood?

  Yes, from the family.

• 11:20Brooke Averick?

  That's the jugland.

• 11:21Connor Wood?

  Jolendache.

• 11:22Brooke Averick?

  Ah.

• 11:23Connor Wood?

  Ah, yes. Jolendache.

• 11:27Brooke Averick?

  Oh, it's the walnut tree.

• 11:29Connor Wood?

  Yeah.

• 11:29Brooke Averick?

  Yeah.

• 11:33Connor Wood?

We don't have walnut trees. We do this out.

• 11:35Brooke Averick?

You have to break those things apart.

• 11:36Connor Wood?

No, no, no, they land. Oh, yeah, they are.

• 11:39Brooke Averick?

  It's a fruit.

• 11:42Connor Wood?

  What?

• 11:42Brooke Averick?

  Huh?

• 11:44Connor Wood?

  Hang on.

• 11:44Brooke Averick?

Um, okay, so this feels like too much for today.

• 11:48Connor Wood?

I don't think that we need to be, I mean.

• 11:50Brooke Averick?

Going on, it feels like a little bit too much for us.

• 11:53Connor Wood?

Happening in the world and walnuts are a fruit?

• 11:55Brooke Averick?

  Feels like too much.

• 11:55Connor Wood?

  Leave us alone.

• 11:56Brooke Averick?

About. California Central Valley, where is that? Like, is that like in the valley?

• 12:02Connor Wood?

  No, it's.

• 12:06Connor Wood?

Where is California Central Valley? I think that maybe we could start there.

• 12:13Connor Wood?

Um, yeah, it's right in the middle and it is pretty much, I would call that the Central Valley, the San Joaquin Valley. Good to know.

• 12:21Brooke Averick?

  Are we in it?

• 12:21Connor Wood?

  No, God, no.

• 12:23Brooke Averick?

Sacramento. We could find it at our Sacramento show.

• 12:26Connor Wood?

  Oh, which is coming up.

• 12:27Brooke Averick?

Yeah, if y'all are coming to the Sacramento, hey, all you people.

• 12:30Connor Wood?

  Oh, yeah.

• 12:31Brooke Averick?

If anyone is coming to the Sacramento show and finds a walnut in the wild.

• 12:36Connor Wood?

If you end up having four walnuts burning a hole in your pocket, we are on the market, in the market as well, in and around the market.

• 12:44Brooke Averick?

  Yeah.

• 12:44Connor Wood?

  For two walnuts.

• 12:45Brooke Averick?

  Yeah.

• 12:46Connor Wood?

Yes, we're stepping into our Jade era.

• 12:48Brooke Averick?

  Yes.

• 12:48Connor Wood?

Via walnut and we will take them off your hands. Thanks.

• 12:51Brooke Averick?

  What a fun thing.

• 12:53Connor Wood?

Yeah, that's, who is it hurting for us to make some Jade walnuts?

• 12:57Brooke Averick?

  Can I be honest?

• 12:58Connor Wood?

  Yeah.

• 13:02Connor Wood?

Here's something. What does NATO stand for? I'm bringing it back across your desk.

• 13:05Brooke Averick?

  Don't do that.

• 13:06Connor Wood?

No, no, I am because I know now.

• 13:08Brooke Averick?

  Do not do this.

• 13:09Connor Wood?

Brooke, what does NATO stand for?

• 13:12Brooke Averick?

  That's really.

• 13:13Connor Wood?

Brooke, hit me like that bass. Tell me what NATO stands for.

• 13:16Brooke Averick?

  National?

• 13:16Connor Wood?

  No, come on.

• 13:17Brooke Averick?

  North American?

• 13:19Connor Wood?

  No. One of those is.

• 13:22Brooke Averick?

  Amer- American?

• 13:23Connor Wood?

  No.

• 13:23Brooke Averick?

  North?

• 13:23Connor Wood?

  Yes.

• 13:24Brooke Averick?

  North Alliance?

• 13:25Connor Wood?

  No.

• 13:25Brooke Averick?

  North Association?

• 13:27Connor Wood?

  Mm-mm.

• 13:27Brooke Averick?

  North?

• 13:28Connor Wood?

  You're colder?

• 13:29Brooke Averick?

  Ah.

• 13:29Connor Wood?

  No.

• 13:30Brooke Averick?

  Nor- did I say Alliance?

• 13:31Connor Wood?

  North ass.

• 13:32Brooke Averick?

North... Do I know the word?

• 13:36Connor Wood?

You do know the word and it's very easy.

• 13:39Brooke Averick?

Is it more like on the, in the vein of America or Alliance? So, say, Association?

• 13:44Connor Wood?

  It's like not.

• 13:45Brooke Averick?

  Neither.

• 13:46Connor Wood?

It's neither. I really want you to get there. I know words are, maybe this is a good exercise to find the words today.

• 13:50Brooke Averick?

  I think it is. North?

• 13:52Connor Wood?

I know people are screaming at their thing today. They're like, ah, yep.

• 13:58Brooke Averick?

  Let me skip A.

• 13:59Connor Wood?

  Okay.

• 13:59Brooke Averick?

  Treaty.

• 14:00Connor Wood?

  Yep.

• 14:01Brooke Averick?

  Organization.

• 14:02Connor Wood?

  Yep.

• 14:02Brooke Averick?

  North blank treaty organization.

• 14:04Connor Wood?

  Okay.

• 14:05Brooke Averick?

  North associates?

• 14:07Connor Wood?

  No.

• 14:08Brooke Averick?

North? Think about a word I would use in every day.

• 14:13Connor Wood?

You, we have used it. We've used it quite a bit. We've had a conversation about it.

• 14:17Brooke Averick?

  North?

• 14:18Connor Wood?

It's really just like not... It's not, it's not man-made, you know, like it's, it's not like a...

• 14:25Brooke Averick?

  Artificial?

• 14:25Connor Wood?

No. Okay, no, now we're getting cold. Sorry. You were right in that sense, but...

• 14:32Connor Wood?

  Come on.

• 14:33Brooke Averick?

  North.

• 14:34Connor Wood?

  Come on now.

• 14:35Brooke Averick?

  Application.

• 14:36Connor Wood?

  No.

• 14:37Brooke Averick?

  North.

• 14:37Connor Wood?

I want you to go away from man.

• 14:40Brooke Averick?

North. Alt- Altadena. North altitude. North.

• 14:44Connor Wood?

  Okay, that's, you're getting, that's closer.

• 14:47Brooke Averick?

North is. S, is it S?

• 14:49Connor Wood?

  Nope.

• 14:50Brooke Averick?

  Al. North Allegiance?

• 14:53Connor Wood?

  No.

• 14:54Brooke Averick?

  North O.

• 14:55Connor Wood?

  No.

• 14:56Brooke Averick?

  North Al.

• 14:58Connor Wood?

  You're getting, you're getting warmer.

• 15:00Brooke Averick?

  Al, ally, ally.

• 15:02Connor Wood?

No, no, no, no, that's a manmade situation.

• 15:04Brooke Averick?

Al, I'm getting confused when you're bringing it up. North Ak.

• 15:08Connor Wood?

  At.

• 15:09Brooke Averick?

  At. North Attention?

• 15:10Connor Wood?

  No.

• 15:11Brooke Averick?

  North At.

• 15:12Connor Wood?

Come on, think about what it is.

• 15:14Brooke Averick?

  I, yeah, it's like a, it's a union.

• 15:16Connor Wood?

  It's an organization.

• 15:17Brooke Averick?

  It's an organization, it's a union.

• 15:18Connor Wood?

But we've already covered that piece.

• 15:19Brooke Averick?

  We know that.

• 15:20Connor Wood?

So we don't need to do an alliance organization.

• 15:22Brooke Averick?

  Ah. You said ah, et.

• 15:26Connor Wood?

  At.

• 15:27Brooke Averick?

At. North At. There's no way. North At- not attack. North Attachment? North.

• 15:37Brooke Averick?

  Academy.

• 15:37Connor Wood?

  Nope.

• 15:38Brooke Averick?

  North.

• 15:38Connor Wood?

  Ahmed, Benet.

• 15:39Brooke Averick?

  Ah.

• 15:39Connor Wood?

  At.

• 15:40Brooke Averick?

  Ah.

• 15:43Brooke Averick?

North At. I'm gonna try to, North At, North, North At. You like that?

• 15:48Connor Wood?

Yeah, I like that a lot. I like that.

• 15:49Brooke Averick?

North At, ah, North At, ah, North At. I mean, I, I, this is like torture.

• 15:57Connor Wood?

Oh, you're so close. It's really, it's really, you're gonna get blue balls when you find what it is.

• 16:01Brooke Averick?

North At. I, I almost think I might not. Give me a little bit more.

• 16:06Connor Wood?

  Atl.

• 16:07Brooke Averick?

  Atlantic.

• 16:08Connor Wood?

  Yeah.

• 16:09Brooke Averick?

  North.

• 16:10Connor Wood?

  No, it's Atlanta.

• 16:11Brooke Averick?

  No, it's not.

• 16:12Connor Wood?

  It's North Atlanta Treaty Organization.

• 16:14Brooke Averick?

  Atlanta?

• 16:15Connor Wood?

  Yeah.

• 16:15Brooke Averick?

  No, it's not, Connor.

• 16:16Connor Wood?

  Atlantic.

• 16:17Brooke Averick?

  North Atlantic Treaty Organization.

• 16:20Connor Wood?

  It's a Georgia specific.

• 16:21Brooke Averick?

Connor, that I, like, obviously I should have gotten that, but Atlantic, like, really wouldn't.

• 16:26Connor Wood?

No, and that's what gives people a lot of trouble, and I don't wanna hear it. Okay, because it, it's hard.

• 16:32Brooke Averick?

And you said, keep, keep, you.

• 16:35Connor Wood?

You spit, spit it out for me now.

• 16:38Brooke Averick?

You with the manmade, that was confusing.

• 16:41Connor Wood?

Atlantic, well, I mean, it's not, it's, I'm not doing an alliance, it's not between two, two folks, it's, it's, it's, uh, it's, it's an ocean, right?

• 16:49Brooke Averick?

  Alright.

• 16:51Brooke Averick?

  What about it?

• 16:53Connor Wood?

I just wanted to see if you remembered it because it was such a huge, heavy topic for us that one time.

• 16:56Brooke Averick?

Well, what matters is that I know what it is.

• 16:59Connor Wood?

How many countries are in it?

• 17:00Brooke Averick?

Don't. That's not like, I would not, no one is expected to know that off the top of their head.

• 17:05Connor Wood?

  I know.

• 17:06Brooke Averick?

  40s, I would say.

• 17:07Connor Wood?

  Close?

• 17:07Brooke Averick?

  Yeah, 42.

• 17:08Connor Wood?

  32.

• 17:09Brooke Averick?

  32.

• 17:09Connor Wood?

  Yeah.

• 17:10Brooke Averick?

  Yeah.

• 17:11Connor Wood?

But it's confusing the ones that are, like Albania is in it and it's like, okay.

• 17:15Brooke Averick?

  I get that.

• 17:16Connor Wood?

  Yeah.

• 17:16Brooke Averick?

  Yeah.

• 17:17Connor Wood?

  France is in it.

• 17:19Brooke Averick?

  Yeah.

• 17:19Connor Wood?

And then you wonder how the Atlantic is involved at all. Are they all touching?

• 17:24Brooke Averick?

Um, there are some things that we just like can't get into today.

• 17:29Connor Wood?

And get off me, get off me.

• 17:30Brooke Averick?

  Walnuts being a fruit.

• 17:31Connor Wood?

Walnuts were way more in our real house than Albania.

• 17:34Brooke Averick?

And this nitty gritty of the Atlantic.

• 17:36Connor Wood?

  Listen, it's big.

• 17:40Brooke Averick?

  Yes.

• 17:41Connor Wood?

  Yes.

• 18:43Connor Wood?

Daylight savings. We are still doing that bullshit.

• 18:47Brooke Averick?

  Oh, we're gonna stop soon.

• 18:48Connor Wood?

Do you know what's like, thank you, the clock.

• 18:52Brooke Averick?

I wanna get that once this episode.

• 18:54Connor Wood?

  Try it.

• 18:55Brooke Averick?

  I haven't.

• 18:56Connor Wood?

It's funny because I was thinking about it and then I saw someone say it and I was almost there with my thought. But someone finished it for me and I was like, thank you. But someone was like, they're letting us ha- they're letting us, it's so nice that they're letting us see the sun for an extra hour now. And it's like, they, they are, they're whole, they are the ones that change it. It's kind of like how brands pay YouTube to have ads and then we pay YouTube to take the ads away.

• 19:26Brooke Averick?

  Yeah, yeah.

• 19:28Connor Wood?

  Hey.

• 19:30Brooke Averick?

Wait, what is it? Thank you, blank?

• 19:33Connor Wood?

Yeah, like it has to come naturally.

• 19:34Brooke Averick?

I know, sorry, I'm getting, but it's thank you, I already, I forgot.

• 19:39Connor Wood?

  Yeah, like, thank you.

• 19:39Brooke Averick?

  Thank you, blank.

• 19:40Connor Wood?

  Yeah, well, thank you, the.

• 19:41Brooke Averick?

Thank you, the, that's, that's what I was.

• 19:43Connor Wood?

Yeah, but it's also like something, like an over overarching, like, thank you, the clock.

• 19:47Brooke Averick?

Yes, okay, thank you, the, okay. Thank you, the sun.

• 19:52Connor Wood?

Well, the sun, you have to, like, when you know, you know.

• 19:56Brooke Averick?

  I know, I know, I know. Dude.

• 19:58Connor Wood?

  It will come.

• 19:59Brooke Averick?

  Dude.

• 19:59Connor Wood?

Finally, like, I'm hand, I'm giving you one of these things.

• 20:01Brooke Averick?

  I know, I know, I know.

• 20:03Connor Wood?

One of these, like, little tongue twisters things.

• 20:05Brooke Averick?

Yeah. I like, I do love this daylight savings, though, like, I love getting that extra hour of fun and when it gets darker later. But I'm so jet lagged.

• 20:17Brooke Averick?

  But in the reverse way.

• 20:22Connor Wood?

  Well, you lost an hour.

• 20:23Brooke Averick?

  I can't go to sleep.

• 20:25Connor Wood?

  Yeah.

• 20:25Brooke Averick?

Why am I staying up till like 1? Whereas I used to go to bed at 9. How does the, what, 9 to 10?

• 20:32Connor Wood?

Because you're watching people play with walnuts.

• 20:34Brooke Averick?

What's the 4 hour? What is that? That don't, that doesn't make sense to me.

• 20:37Connor Wood?

  It ain't right.

• 20:38Brooke Averick?

  No.

• 20:38Connor Wood?

  Okay?

• 20:39Brooke Averick?

  Yeah.

• 20:39Connor Wood?

  But I, I think.

• 20:40Brooke Averick?

And then I'm obviously so tired.

• 20:41Connor Wood?

Walnut tuck is, walnut talk is, walnut tuck.

• 20:47Connor Wood?

You gotta stop tucking your walnut.

• 20:48Brooke Averick?

  Thank you, the walnut. Almost?

• 20:50Connor Wood?

  No.

• 20:53Connor Wood?

You could be like, "Thank you, the creator," like for like creating.

• 20:57Brooke Averick?

  Providing the walnut.

• 20:59Connor Wood?

  God.

• 21:00Brooke Averick?

Oh, I thought you meant God. Wait, what did you mean? The content creator? When you think about it, God is the first content creator.

• 21:17Brooke Averick?

God is just a fancy word for content creator.

• 21:24Connor Wood?

  Yeah.

• 21:24Brooke Averick?

  Talking about creation.

• 21:26Connor Wood?

  Talking about Big Bang.

• 21:28Brooke Averick?

  Thank you, the creation.

• 21:36Connor Wood?

Getting colder. You're saying it less.

• 21:40Brooke Averick?

  Oh, it's really hard.

• 21:45Brooke Averick?

  Okay, I'll get there.

• 21:47Connor Wood?

  Yeah, you will.

• 21:49Connor Wood?

  Okay, speaking of content.

• 21:51Brooke Averick?

  Yeah.

• 21:52Connor Wood?

I had a show on Sunday.

• 21:53Brooke Averick?

  Oh, yeah.

• 21:56Connor Wood?

In Brooklyn. Thank you if you came. And I have been taking a page out of your book, Another Common Brook W, today.

• 22:08Connor Wood?

Sorry, I'm crying a little bit.

• 22:09Brooke Averick?

  No worries.

• 22:10Connor Wood?

  And.

• 22:11Brooke Averick?

  Thank you, the tear duct.

• 22:15Connor Wood?

Okay. It's just like, sure, you know?

• 22:24Brooke Averick?

I think it's best if I just stop trying.

• 22:26Connor Wood?

  Well, it's, yeah, yeah.

• 22:27Brooke Averick?

  I'm like, almost not gauging.

• 22:29Connor Wood?

Like, daylight savings and then the clock, technically, sure, but it was like, I feel like if I don't walk you through it, you'll get there by yourself.

• 22:38Brooke Averick?

Sorry, I'm not gonna do it.

• 22:40Connor Wood?

  It was like too directly.

• 22:42Brooke Averick?

  Yeah.

• 22:42Connor Wood?

You need like one degree removed and it's like, oh, I see.

• 22:44Brooke Averick?

I totally get that. That's where I'm, that's the issue for me, yeah. It's a sticking point. Okay, sorry, Brooklyn show.

• 22:52Connor Wood?

  Yeah, so I, um...

• 22:56Connor Wood?

You know, like when I write jokes, I put them in my notes.

• 22:59Brooke Averick?

  Yeah.

• 22:59Connor Wood?

My app, because I'll get those things. And then when I write the actual joke and I flesh it out, I put it in a journal. And I told you that like all of my journals, I have stacks and stacks of these. That's like where I flesh out the jokes and I go through and it's kind of like an audit of the jokes. But some of them are when I've like started journaling and I'm writing down like day to day.

• 23:18Brooke Averick?

  Right.

• 23:19Connor Wood?

And I wrote a bunch of new material for this show. I wrote like 25 minutes of new material.

• 23:24Brooke Averick?

  Oh, wow.

• 23:24Connor Wood?

Yeah, it was great. And then-

• 23:26Brooke Averick?

How many pages does something like that take up?

• 23:28Connor Wood?

  Like six.

• 23:29Brooke Averick?

  Wow.

• 23:29Connor Wood?

Yeah. And I don't, I'm usually off book for these shows.

• 23:33Brooke Averick?

  Uh huh.

• 23:34Connor Wood?

But this one, I was like, I'm gonna give myself some grace. These are brand new jokes, a lot of material. I'm gonna bring the journal out.

• 23:39Brooke Averick?

A lot of comics I've seen have their-

• 23:42Connor Wood?

  Yeah.

• 23:42Brooke Averick?

  Pages.

• 23:43Connor Wood?

The, the concept of the show also that we're doing is a work it out joke.

• 23:46Brooke Averick?

  Exactly.

• 23:47Connor Wood?

New stuff and we flesh it out. We talk to people and like the jokes change. Um, because we haven't done that before. So I go out and I go on the stage and I, I pop open my notebook. Guess which, guess which journal I brought?

• 24:00Brooke Averick?

  The wrong one.

• 24:01Connor Wood?

The one that has like my journal entries.

• 24:04Brooke Averick?

  Like your diary?

• 24:05Connor Wood?

  Yeah.

• 24:05Brooke Averick?

  Yeah.

• 24:08Brooke Averick?

That's almost like worst nightmare vibes. Like, imagine just sitting, like, reading from it in front of a crowd.

• 24:15Connor Wood?

When I tell you I'm sitting there, I get to a point where I'm like, alright, I'm gonna do some new jokes tonight, whatever. And I open it and it says,

• 24:25Connor Wood?

  "Today was another hard one."

• 24:27Brooke Averick?

I actually genuinely have a solution to all your problems.

• 24:30Connor Wood?

  What is it?

• 24:31Brooke Averick?

  Louise Carmen.

• 24:33Connor Wood?

  Who is it?

• 24:35Connor Wood?

  No.

• 24:37Connor Wood?

  I don't even know what you're gonna-

• 24:38Brooke Averick?

I was gonna thank Louise. But it's this really bougie journal place in Paris that all of the journal-

• 24:44Connor Wood?

  I was just there.

• 24:45Brooke Averick?

Ah, but I like, I would have to go. And with it, it's like a leather organizer.

• 24:50Connor Wood?

  Yeah.

• 24:50Brooke Averick?

And within it is multiple notebooks.

• 24:53Connor Wood?

  Hundred and sixty euros.

• 24:53Brooke Averick?

Yeah, it's a, like, one of those just, like, experiences.

• 24:56Connor Wood?

  Well-

• 24:57Brooke Averick?

Within it, like, it's a, it's an entire ecosystem in one. So like, you have multiple notebooks in one. And you can keep your passport in there too and stuff. People are obsessed, really obsessed, and I need it, I need it pretty significantly.

• 25:11Connor Wood?

Oh, that's pretty, is it just a leather wrap?

• 25:13Brooke Averick?

It's pretty much a leather wrap, but like-

• 25:15Connor Wood?

And it just goes around all of your-

• 25:16Brooke Averick?

  Highly coveted.

• 25:17Connor Wood?

  Oh, I mean, it's very-

• 25:18Brooke Averick?

Julia Mervis just got one. She was in Paris.

• 25:20Connor Wood?

I was gonna say, it's very chic. It's for Julia Mervis.

• 25:22Brooke Averick?

Yeah, I really need one. Like, that would be my ideal brand trip.

• 25:28Connor Wood?

  A leather wrap.

• 25:29Brooke Averick?

Is to go, instead of like Tarte and like St. Bart's, it's Louise Carmen.

• 25:33Connor Wood?

  And some twine. That's cool.

• 25:35Brooke Averick?

  Thanks.

• 25:36Connor Wood?

Well, I didn't do that. I think my issue is that I need them to be color-coded. I can't have a bunch of black moleskins stacked up in my apartment.

• 25:43Brooke Averick?

Connor, you can totally color-code them within the Louise.

• 25:47Connor Wood?

  Oh, I should do that.

• 25:48Brooke Averick?

You don't have to put Louise notebooks inside of the Louise Carmen.

• 25:51Connor Wood?

I need to show you. Anyways, people, people were very nice. Someone, I've never gotten more DMs that are like, "I can't tell if you were doing a bit. There were so many awkward moments, but you saved them all." And I was like, "You know how you go out to things like this and you're like, at least no one will know if you, you're the only one that will know if you're, if you're messing up."

• 26:11Brooke Averick?

  Right.

• 26:12Connor Wood?

  People caught on.

• 26:12Brooke Averick?

Yeah, but like, that's what those types of shows are for. And I actually think, like, you haven't really done these.

• 26:20Connor Wood?

  No.

• 26:21Brooke Averick?

Like, you almost missed a step. Like, you went right to, like, grand tour.

• 26:25Connor Wood?

  Yeah.

• 26:25Brooke Averick?

So like, I think this is really cool.

• 26:28Connor Wood?

I was doing those shows that I was hosting, and there were nights, remember I would come in here and like, I bombed.

• 26:33Brooke Averick?

Right, and like, I think it's because you missed that, like, key workshop era.

• 26:38Connor Wood?

  Yeah. I'm getting very comfortable-

• 26:40Brooke Averick?

So you were thrown right to the sharks.

• 26:41Connor Wood?

I'm getting very comfortable going out and being like, well, what sucks is I go out and do shows, like, I talked about the, there was a day yesterday in New York where, or not yesterday, Sunday in New York, where I was walking around in Soho and I'm not kidding, I saw 50 dudes that have now found their new personality in Love Story, JFK Junior.

• 27:01Brooke Averick?

  You know, I stopped watching.

• 27:04Connor Wood?

  Did you?

• 27:04Brooke Averick?

The same way I have never finished Titanic. I'm too-

• 27:08Connor Wood?

  You know-

• 27:09Brooke Averick?

I'm too in pain and knowing they're about gonna die, like, I can't, I can't continue. To me, the show ends when they meet.

• 27:18Brooke Averick?

  Or when they start dating.

• 27:20Brooke Averick?

I'm thinking about maybe going to the wedding, but like, I think that will just hurt more.

• 27:26Connor Wood?

Yeah, I mean, yeah, if that's gonna hurt you like that.

• 27:29Brooke Averick?

  Yeah.

• 27:30Connor Wood?

I, I wanna say that yesterday I watched Titanic on the plane flying here. And I was getting a lot of flack. People are like, "This is not a plane movie." I'm like, "When you've seen it as many ti-" Okay, I gotta spiel. When you've seen it as many times as I have, I would call myself Titanic the movie-

• 27:46Connor Wood?

Aficionado, like I definitely am very well versed in this movie. I know, obviously I know what's gonna happen historically. I know it's a story. I have, this was a cathartic experience for me, even my 80th time watching this movie on this plane.

• 27:59Brooke Averick?

That is crazy. Like I can't, I can't, I go into fight or flight when Titanic is on.

• 28:04Connor Wood?

I, I had a sweater on that didn't have a hood, which I need to not stop flying with, out like a hood apparatus. I need to always have a hood apparatus. So I had to put my hoodie, take my hoodie up, put it over my face because I was sobbing again. And I kept coughing and the woman next to me was this older Diane Keaton looking woman, rest in peace. And every time I cough, she'd go. And I'm like, okay, easy. I'm not like, I wasn't like, I was like, and she'd go, and by the way, we're in like pretty severe turbulence. I'm coughing and that's when she jumps.

• 28:32Brooke Averick?

You were coughing from the turbulence?

• 28:34Connor Wood?

No, I was coughing because I was crying.

• 28:35Brooke Averick?

  Oh, I understand.

• 28:37Connor Wood?

I have one thing that I got fired up yesterday about. It's when people come on and they're like, my hot take is that Rose and Jack could have fit on that floating door. I'm sorry. No, they couldn't have. Are you even watching the movie? Have you ever floated on anything?

• 28:54Brooke Averick?

You should open your shows with that.

• 28:55Connor Wood?

What do you know about buoyancy? Seriously? Have you ever tried to get on a kayak alone? The kayak doesn't want you in it, you know, it'll flip. It's hard to get back in a kayak. Sorry, could you imagine getting on a floating door? That door doesn't want to be in the water. It's not supposed to float.

• 29:09Brooke Averick?

I think the issue for me is that like, let's both get on it and like, if we drown, we drown. Together.

• 29:18Connor Wood?

Loved her so much that he, and he's from Wisconsin. So he's like, oh, I'm, I think he was thinking, I can handle this. I can handle this. But also he was willing to die for her. He was a romantic. Yes, of course, the surface area on the thing, it can, they could fit on it, but it's not buoyant enough for two people. It frustrates me so much.

• 29:37Brooke Averick?

I, I, I think he should have gotten on it. I, if I were her, after everything that they've been through, I don't really need to go on living if he's not on the, on the door with me.

• 29:48Connor Wood?

  What?

• 29:49Brooke Averick?

  I don't think I could do it.

• 29:50Connor Wood?

Well, what I appreciate about her is that like, He didn't exist to anybody. He was an orphan.

• 29:55Brooke Averick?

  Yes.

• 29:56Connor Wood?

He was a nomad. He didn't, there was no record of him anywhere. She didn't even have a photograph. She took his last name and now is bearing children.

• 30:04Brooke Averick?

  Yeah.

• 30:04Connor Wood?

  And carried on.

• 30:05Brooke Averick?

  She carries his legacy.

• 30:06Connor Wood?

  The Dawson legacy.

• 30:07Brooke Averick?

  Yeah.

• 30:08Connor Wood?

Now, one thing I did notice is that plenty of people are dying way earlier than him. There's several other floating objects, you know, like I'm seeing myself craft a bit of a floating apparatus, like while we're on the boat. So, look at all these supplies.

• 30:24Brooke Averick?

So you genuinely, fully believe like, without a doubt, you would have survived the Titanic?

• 30:28Connor Wood?

No, I think that if I was in fight or flight mode, I would die. Just because I, like I would die. And he just passed away, closed his eyes and just died. And you know, like everyone else's eyes, they're like, he's like a baby, like an, like a.

• 30:45Brooke Averick?

I've never, I've never seen it. I've never seen the death.

• 30:47Connor Wood?

Oh, he falls, I mean, he just like.

• 30:49Brooke Averick?

He falls asleep on the door?

• 30:50Connor Wood?

No, I mean, he's shivering with her and then she wakes up and trying to wake him up. It's.

• 30:55Brooke Averick?

  And I'm not, I don't think that.

• 30:56Connor Wood?

What's worse than him dying is a speech that he gives her where it's like, you need to go out and live and you need to have a bunch of babies and you need to grow old with them and you need to watch them grow and, and then.

• 31:08Brooke Averick?

  I feel sick.

• 31:09Connor Wood?

The one thing I noticed in this one, and I'll stop talking about this, but you know, I, you know, I heart symbolism.

• 31:14Brooke Averick?

  I know.

• 31:15Connor Wood?

This is the, this is the first time I've watched and I'm like, he shows her his drawings and he talks and she's, you know, there's a lot of naked women in it. And she's like, certainly you had a love affair with these women. And he's like, no, not at all. I love this one, this one-legged prostitute's hands. I had a love affair maybe with her hands. And there's several drawings, hands, hands, hands. And then there was a big draw like, there was a big, a lot of close-ups when they're like hooking up for the first time, their hands, hands touching, hands grasping. And then at the end, the last thing is never let go and it's their hands. And so I think that there is some sort of symbolism with the hands. I couldn't figure it. I think that it might just be like, I'm gonna hold on to you forever.

• 31:51Brooke Averick?

Look at you. Look at you.

• 31:52Connor Wood?

  Tragic, of course.

• 31:54Brooke Averick?

  Look at you.

• 31:54Connor Wood?

But I don't want to hear, no one ever come to me with, they both could have fit. Get out of my, seriously, get out of my face.

• 32:00Brooke Averick?

Mm-hmm. You're right. They both could have fit. It's an issue of buoyancy.

• 32:03Connor Wood?

Yeah. If, yeah, if it was sitting on sand. We could both fit in that chair.

• 32:07Brooke Averick?

  Right.

• 32:07Connor Wood?

  Would it float?

• 32:08Brooke Averick?

No! Right, right, right, right, right, right. Was it crispy?

• 32:12Connor Wood?

Anyways, was it crispy? Right. About JFK, the thing that I was seeing that's so fascinating is I'm seeing all these young men who have no sense of self, and they finally found themselves. And these are the most standard JP-looking young men that you've ever seen. They work in finance. There's, they, they do like uniformity, just like, you know, you join a fraternity and like, now these are my brothers, and then you join, there's a ladder that you, it's finance. You do this, you do this, private equity. Now they're like, oh my, they're seeing someone who's essentially like a royalty on TV and they go, "That's me."

• 32:48Brooke Averick?

  Yeah.

• 32:48Connor Wood?

  "I'm him." Hat backwards.

• 32:51Brooke Averick?

  Yep.

• 32:52Connor Wood?

Button up shirt, maybe a vest.

• 32:53Brooke Averick?

  Yeah.

• 32:54Connor Wood?

And then their Venmo requesting someone $6 for the Uber last night.

• 32:56Brooke Averick?

How do you feel about people taking pictures with their apartment? I've been seeing a lot of discourse about that.

• 33:02Connor Wood?

  I don't know. It's probably a historical apartment, right?

• 33:05Brooke Averick?

  I don't know.

• 33:07Connor Wood?

I, I, I, there's an apartment in West Village that every time I walk by it, people are outside taking pictures and I saw the man come out one day. He's like, "People live here, by the way."

• 33:16Brooke Averick?

  Right.

• 33:16Connor Wood?

It's not like a picture place. I do think that if it's that big of an issue, like maybe the city makes it a historical landmark and it's like, well, this is hard to say, but it's like a maybe like a little bit of a museum. If it's that important to like the American people.

• 33:35Brooke Averick?

I don't think, it's just like where two people lived. Like, it's very much not like the Anne Frank House.

• 33:41Connor Wood?

I was gonna say Anne Frank House.

• 33:42Brooke Averick?

Yeah, it's, it's very much not that.

• 33:44Connor Wood?

I know, no, I agree. People are weird, I don't know. But you wanna hear a funny story?

• 33:49Brooke Averick?

  Yeah, I do.

• 33:50Connor Wood?

So there was one time when I, I don't think I lived in New York yet, or I had just moved there, and I had had a can. And I had, I had an empty stomach can, so I was a little bit

• 34:01Connor Wood?

high. And I was walking over to a buddy's place. And I hadn't understood yet the buzz. I'm buzzing you up, I'm buzzing you up. And I said, "No, you're not, I'm out here, I'm on the street." I had walked to, on the map, friend's apartment.

• 34:21Brooke Averick?

  Took me a second.

• 34:23Connor Wood?

Just the Friends, the apartment from Friends. I was like in my head, I'm like, oh, cool. It's like navigating me to my buddy's house, friend's apartment.

• 34:30Brooke Averick?

You know they filmed in LA? They just use the outside of it.

• 34:33Connor Wood?

  Yeah.

• 34:33Brooke Averick?

  Of the thing?

• 34:34Connor Wood?

  That's crazy. Well, now you-

• 34:35Brooke Averick?

It's crazy to film a show like that in LA.

• 34:36Connor Wood?

  I agree.

• 34:37Brooke Averick?

  They pulled it off, though.

• 34:38Connor Wood?

  They did.

• 34:39Brooke Averick?

  They sure did.

• 35:40Connor Wood?

Anyways, that's my probably 10 cents.

• 35:42Brooke Averick?

Okay. All, all worth noting. Thank you for sharing. I have a few things that I could talk about.

• 35:49Connor Wood?

  Hit me.

• 35:50Brooke Averick?

Have you listened to Harry's album at all?

• 35:52Connor Wood?

Yeah, okay. Last week, we posted the clip of me saying I'd really like to boogie, and everyone's like, "Yeah, I have an album for you," as if I didn't listen to it. I really enjoy it. I, I said when that first song came out, what is it called?

• 36:03Brooke Averick?

  Aperture?

• 36:04Connor Wood?

  No.

• 36:04Brooke Averick?

Okay. It was, there was only one song that came out.

• 36:09Connor Wood?

Oh, well, then it was that one, and that's the one I'm understanding from everybody is a flop?

• 36:13Brooke Averick?

I actually, I've, that's really, I think, one of my least favorites is Aperture.

• 36:18Connor Wood?

  Hang on.

• 36:19Brooke Averick?

My saying, Aperture, right? Aperture. Yeah.

• 36:24Connor Wood?

See, like, if you don't like this, I, I like Rufus DeSaul, and that's what the vibe it's giving to me.

• 36:29Brooke Averick?

  Talking about Rufus DeSaul?

• 36:30Connor Wood?

I'm talking about DeSaul comma Rufus. And I really like those young men and I am, I'm, that's, it's the same vibe.

• 36:40Brooke Averick?

Yeah, that one's not my favorite.

• 36:42Connor Wood?

  I love it.

• 36:44Brooke Averick?

I do, I, I'll be honest, my first listen, and this happens to me with a lot of Harry, like, Harry is someone that I need to listen over and over again. I was like, oh, I almost might not like any of these. Second listen, I found like one or two that I liked. I really like, um, American Girls.

• 37:03Connor Wood?

  Yeah.

• 37:03Brooke Averick?

And then like third, fourth, fifth listen, like I think I really love them all.

• 37:07Connor Wood?

  Except Aperture.

• 37:08Brooke Averick?

  Except Aperture.

• 37:10Connor Wood?

Well, I really like it. That's so nice that he's, he's making music for me.

• 37:13Brooke Averick?

Let me tell you my favorites. Coming Up Roses is beautiful, but that's more slow. I don't know if you could necessarily boogie to it.

• 37:21Connor Wood?

Okay. I can boogie to just about anything.

• 37:24Brooke Averick?

Pop is really good. That you can boogie to.

• 37:26Connor Wood?

I don't know the names, but I did. Oh, that one. Uh, no, I haven't, I don't know.

• 37:31Brooke Averick?

That one you'll boogie to. Are you listening yet? You could boogie to, you know that one?

• 37:35Connor Wood?

I don't know the word. I don't know the names of the songs. I listened to it on a playlist while I ran.

• 37:39Brooke Averick?

The Waiting Game is also gorgeous.

• 37:41Connor Wood?

  I'll get to it.

• 37:42Brooke Averick?

So, I mean, they're all great. Paint by Numbers, I real, Season Two Weight Loss, I actually like, I couldn't tell you that one.

• 37:49Connor Wood?

  Season Two Weight Loss?

• 37:50Brooke Averick?

Season Two Weight Loss, I couldn't tell you how that one goes right now. Sorry, that's The Waiting Game.

• 37:54Connor Wood?

He subscribed to the Lana Del Rey School of Naming Music? Season Two Waiting Room? Weight Loss?

• 38:02Brooke Averick?

Season Two Weight Loss and Waiting Game.

• 38:04Connor Wood?

I will say, whatever he performed, whatever song that was and he did a dance.

• 38:09Brooke Averick?

  Aperture.

• 38:09Connor Wood?

  Really pissed me off.

• 38:10Brooke Averick?

  Aperture. Why?

• 38:12Connor Wood?

It was, it gave me the ick.

• 38:14Brooke Averick?

  Yeah, yeah, I get that.

• 38:17Connor Wood?

I wanted to tell him it's okay to not do all that.

• 38:19Brooke Averick?

I do. I, I, everyone gives him shit for like him not dancing and his stage presence. And now I think it's like, okay, we appreciate you trying.

• 38:32Connor Wood?

Oh, so other people agree with me?

• 38:33Brooke Averick?

  I think so.

• 38:34Connor Wood?

Okay. That was, that was like seeing.

• 40:31Brooke Averick?

I had like something I wanted to go into today that's like a little bit more like serious and vulnerable and kind of like therapy, but I don't think today is the day.

• 40:41Connor Wood?

  Okay, that's fine.

• 40:42Brooke Averick?

Because my mind is, my brain is not at a hundred, a hundred. And I would want it to be for this.

• 40:51Connor Wood?

  Okay, maybe.

• 40:51Brooke Averick?

But I want to talk about art.

• 40:53Connor Wood?

  Okay.

• 40:54Brooke Averick?

And producing it and reception to it.

• 40:58Connor Wood?

  Okay.

• 41:00Brooke Averick?

But I don't think I can today. So maybe next week.

• 41:02Connor Wood?

  Table it.

• 41:04Brooke Averick?

I'll table it. I'll move it into the next page of my hope and each.

• 41:06Connor Wood?

  Nice.

• 41:10Connor Wood?

Like, there's no point in me even saying what I, my stuff is the dumbest stuff ever. I, I watched, um, I'm very excited to, remember I was really excited about that dinosaurs? Show on.

• 41:21Brooke Averick?

Oh yeah, what is that? I saw it.

• 41:23Connor Wood?

It's basically Planet Earth, but it goes through like from the beginning, like you know how we always see those pictures of like that lizard then crawling out of the ocean and now it has legs? It was cool. Like I watched the whole thing in one evening while I was cleaning. And it was awesome. It was awesome, awesome, awesome.

• 41:40Brooke Averick?

  Think I'd like it?

• 41:42Connor Wood?

  If you got really high.

• 41:44Brooke Averick?

  Yeah.

• 41:45Connor Wood?

Maybe. Um, I really, really liked it. It's just making me look at birds differently because basically everything was a bird or a lizard.

• 41:51Brooke Averick?

  Yeah.

• 41:51Connor Wood?

You know how we always say that everything's a cat or a dog?

• 41:53Brooke Averick?

  Uh huh.

• 41:54Connor Wood?

  Like birds or cats and.

• 41:57Brooke Averick?

What's the dinosaur's most recent common ancestor? Is it a lizard or a bird? Or boat, depending on the dinosaur?

• 42:03Connor Wood?

  It's a bird.

• 42:05Brooke Averick?

Yeah, definitely for the, the pterodactyl, but like.

• 42:08Connor Wood?

But like it's, it's crazy that I'm watching this show about these velociraptors that are just nightmarish. That we used to run around town like thugs and they used to rip other animals apart. And then I'm watching these seagulls on the beach this morning. Fight over a bag of Hot Cheetos. How far you've come and you've evolved backwards to eat Hot Cheetos? You guys, stick your chest out. Remember where you came from. You are not like this. Remember your roots.

• 42:38Brooke Averick?

I don't know much about dinosaurs.

• 42:39Connor Wood?

  Sure.

• 42:40Brooke Averick?

Which may shock a lot of people.

• 42:42Connor Wood?

  Okay.

• 42:43Brooke Averick?

But is there, and I don't mean to feed into conspiracy theories, but is there like a wide held belief that dinosaurs never existed? By anyone? Is there a group of people that are dinosaur deniers?

• 42:56Connor Wood?

There are dinosaur deniers and I, I think in the same vein that there's everything deniers. I think there's a lot of people that believe that we, we did it all wrong and the bones are all constructed differently. Like we just found out that these huge dinosaurs have feathers.

• 43:09Brooke Averick?

  Right.

• 43:10Connor Wood?

  And they always had feathers.

• 43:13Brooke Averick?

Oh, some people think that the bones were planted. There's no way.

• 43:15Connor Wood?

I mean, just like, well, one thing I did see is that, and this is great. This is nuts, but I looked into dinosaurs a little bit after I watched the whole thing. And someone said that oil and gas is called fossil fuels because of the bones and the pressure that is put on them, much like Jade Walnuts. Except it's pressured them all to, to basically juice them into oil and gas. And that's what we drill. And someone has come out and said, no, oil and gas is, is a, is a endless resource. That's like replenishable and earth produces oil and gas. And there's no way that the bones of dinosaurs being pressurized for so many years is, is creating this thing that. And so that was the only thing that I've heard. And then it led to a lot of people that were like, yeah, well, dinosaurs never even existed.

• 44:00Connor Wood?

Bones are planted, et cetera. And there's a guy that just found a leg of a mammoth in like Arkansas. And it was just like sitting in a river and people like, that's the whole, it doesn't help.

• 44:09Brooke Averick?

One thing I'll never understand as a person and a woman, oil.

• 44:15Connor Wood?

That's, it's fine though. Like what's cool about that is like, you don't have to worry about that.

• 44:21Brooke Averick?

And I'm, and I'm not going.

• 44:22Connor Wood?

  We're on different.

• 44:23Brooke Averick?

But like, that is just something that every time someone tries to explain it to me.

• 44:29Brooke Averick?

  In one, out the other.

• 44:31Connor Wood?

Can I really quickly circle back to the dinosaurs thing?

• 44:33Brooke Averick?

  Yeah.

• 44:35Connor Wood?

So I'm watching this show. I think you would like it, actually. Well, okay.

• 44:39Brooke Averick?

I like, like, David Attenborough stuff.

• 44:41Connor Wood?

Okay, this is Morgan Freeman. I almost said Morgan Wallen. Morgan Wallen narrating the dinosaur show.

• 44:47Brooke Averick?

I bet he would be a dinosaur denier.

• 44:50Connor Wood?

I don't think he gives a shit if dinosaurs are, like, you know, he'd be like, "I don't fucking care." Now, one thing that's so amazing about these shows is that they they have the bones. They have these things. They're talking seventeen-

• 45:05Brooke Averick?

  Bones are good.

• 45:08Connor Wood?

The rest don't matter, but it, and it doesn't. But the thing about these, okay, I'm just gonna get right to it. Storytelling is alive and well in the dinosaur documentary that they produce. They're talking seventeen million years ago.

• 45:19Brooke Averick?

  Yeah.

• 45:19Connor Wood?

They have found these bones and they're saying,

• 45:23Connor Wood?

"Come and hide from the triceratops with mama." They have a mama little dinosaur that's two feet tall.

• 45:29Brooke Averick?

  Mm-hmm.

• 45:29Connor Wood?

And it has babies and they're talking about, "And now only the sister is alive to tell the story." And it's like, "How do you know?" And it's like, this thing is-

• 45:35Brooke Averick?

  How do you know that?

• 45:36Connor Wood?

No, you need to watch the show, actually, now that I'm thinking about it.

• 45:38Brooke Averick?

  Oh, I want to.

• 45:39Connor Wood?

And it's narrated by Morgan Freeman. I wanna know, I think obviously it's because of his voice that he's chosen for these roles, cuz it's so soothing.

• 45:45Brooke Averick?

  Yeah, of course.

• 45:46Connor Wood?

And it demands so much power, his voice, but I do wanna know, like, he has this whole-

• 45:52Brooke Averick?

Voice for deck for, for, you know what I'm, you know what I'm-

• 45:54Connor Wood?

A voice that'll carry you home.

• 45:55Brooke Averick?

Voice for you know who and you know what.

• 45:56Connor Wood?

Mm-hmm. It takes you all the way to bed.

• 45:58Brooke Averick?

  Mm-hmm.

• 45:58Connor Wood?

A voice that'll wake you up in the morning and put you to bed at night.

• 46:00Brooke Averick?

  Mm-hmm.

• 46:02Connor Wood?

A voice that orders for the table.

• 46:03Brooke Averick?

Mm-hmm. If you know what I mean. What?

• 46:08Connor Wood?

  To pee.

• 46:09Brooke Averick?

  I do too.

• 46:10Connor Wood?

  I'm gonna hold it.

• 46:11Brooke Averick?

I don't know if I can. I've gotten, like, quiet.

• 46:12Connor Wood?

  Get a UTI with mama.

• 46:13Brooke Averick?

  No, I don't wanna, I don't wanna UTI.

• 46:15Connor Wood?

  Come on.

• 46:17Brooke Averick?

I think I've gotten quiet cuz I have to pee and there's really something in my throat.

• 46:21Connor Wood?

Oh, at least it's in your throat.

• 46:23Brooke Averick?

  What do you mean?

• 46:25Connor Wood?

There's plenty of places that something could be and it wouldn't be in your throat. Wait, let me finish. It doesn't matter. Who gives a shit what I have to say?

• 46:31Brooke Averick?

  I do.

• 46:32Connor Wood?

  Come on.

• 46:33Brooke Averick?

Have I told you I got a bidet?

• 46:37Connor Wood?

  Are you using it?

• 46:38Brooke Averick?

My dad came to install it.

• 46:42Connor Wood?

  Dad came to?

• 46:43Brooke Averick?

  It was my birthday present.

• 46:44Connor Wood?

  Thanks, rich dad.

• 46:46Brooke Averick?

  Oh.

• 46:46Connor Wood?

  Thanks to rich dad.

• 46:47Brooke Averick?

So much, rich daddy. I love it. I love my bidet. I don't know how I lived without my bidet, my royal throne. It keeps my butt nice and warm. It's heated seat. Hi Richie.

• 46:57Connor Wood?

Your daddy may swim on, the duck may swim on the lake, but my daddy flew here to install my bidet. And he owns the lake.

• 47:09Connor Wood?

  Thank you.

• 47:10Brooke Averick?

Thank you. I just like, I, it is true that like, once you go bidet.

• 47:14Connor Wood?

  You never go away.

• 47:15Brooke Averick?

You like, you, you really can't go back.

• 47:17Connor Wood?

  Mm-mm. Hell no.

• 47:19Brooke Averick?

  Hell no.

• 47:21Connor Wood?

Well, that's really awesome. I would look for, I've had, I've stayed in hotels that have bidets in like Vancouver and you really look forward to going home and letting it rip.

• 47:31Brooke Averick?

That it becomes your throne. I will say, um, I've noticed that my friends are more comfortable really doing something in my restroom.

• 47:43Connor Wood?

  Wait. What'd you say?

• 47:46Brooke Averick?

I said, I've noticed that my friends have gotten really comfortable with the bidet.

• 47:49Connor Wood?

  Oh, I see.

• 47:50Brooke Averick?

And just, I mean, letting it rip as, as you would say, because they know they have that.

• 47:54Connor Wood?

  In layman's terms, sure.

• 47:55Brooke Averick?

In layman's terms, they know they have that security there. Uh, something I've noticed. And I want them to feel comfortable. Sometimes I, I don't want everyone to get too comfortable, if you know what I mean.

• 48:06Connor Wood?

Are they spending a lot of time in there?

• 48:08Brooke Averick?

  It's just like.

• 48:09Connor Wood?

  Tristan? Channing, for sure.

• 48:12Brooke Averick?

Tristan, Tristan did one pretty significant number.

• 48:16Connor Wood?

He took a long phone call?

• 48:18Brooke Averick?

  He took a Zoom meeting.

• 48:22Connor Wood?

He did the same in my place?

• 48:23Brooke Averick?

  If you know what.

• 48:24Connor Wood?

Oh, I'm very familiar. I think he, he, he started a deck in mine and finished the deck and was able to present it to a team.

• 48:31Brooke Averick?

  Mm-hmm. Did pitch deck.

• 48:33Connor Wood?

  And get feedback.

• 48:34Brooke Averick?

Yup. Stayed long enough for the feedback.

• 48:37Connor Wood?

Yes, I said, go ahead and bring in a rum and candle with you.

• 48:40Brooke Averick?

  Yeah.

• 48:41Connor Wood?

Because nothing I own is gonna be able to take this away, what you've done.

• 48:46Brooke Averick?

Let's just say Patrick has not been an angel either.

• 48:49Connor Wood?

Patrick is the devil on my bidet.

• 48:51Brooke Averick?

Let's just say that. If you know what a girl means.

• 48:55Connor Wood?

Holy moly, let's move on. I stubbed my toe last night.

• 48:58Brooke Averick?

  Yeah.

• 48:59Connor Wood?

  And it got me.

• 48:59Brooke Averick?

  Oh, I'm sorry.

• 49:00Connor Wood?

It got me thinking. Two things.

• 49:02Brooke Averick?

  Thank you, the toe.

• 49:04Connor Wood?

  No.

• 49:07Connor Wood?

There's nothing to thank the toe for. Now, maybe, hang on.

• 49:11Brooke Averick?

  What could I have?

• 49:12Connor Wood?

  Let me get you there.

• 49:13Brooke Averick?

  Hey, let's workshop.

• 49:14Connor Wood?

Let me get you there. Let me get you there. So, obviously, I put my suitcase next to my bed because I needed the other space for earlier in the day. So, I put it next to my bed. And I'm like, I know it's here. I'm gonna go to bed. I'm not gonna move it out of the way. I go pee. At in the middle of the night, like 2:00 in the morning. I walk back, stub it. It hurts.

• 49:36Brooke Averick?

  Yeah.

• 49:37Connor Wood?

And now I have to get into bed. And just, you know, I was about to, I had the sleepy still. I was holding on to the sleep. So, you get back in, knock. But no, I'm awake. I'm thinking about it. I'm going ouch, ouch, ouch. First of all, the thing about stubbing your toe is I wasn't moving that fast. Why does this hurt so bad? You know?

• 49:53Brooke Averick?

I thought you were moving faster than you thought you were.

• 49:55Connor Wood?

But like, it's just an unnecessary correlation between how fast I was moving and how much pain my toe's in. Two, it got me thinking about something.

• 50:03Brooke Averick?

Wait, can you explain what I could have done better?

• 50:05Connor Wood?

  I'm getting there.

• 50:05Brooke Averick?

  Okay.

• 50:06Connor Wood?

I'm gonna get you there. I'm gonna go full circle and I'm gonna

• 50:08Brooke Averick?

  Okay.

• 50:08Connor Wood?

I'm gonna, I'm gonna reconnect the dots for you. So, then I'm thinking, what a privilege it is to have a foot that I'm and, and moving legs that were able to stub my toe. And the reason

• 50:21Brooke Averick?

  Thank you, the human body.

• 50:22Connor Wood?

  Hmm.

• 50:24Connor Wood?

  Thank you, the privilege.

• 50:27Brooke Averick?

You are so talented. It just, that wouldn't have occurred to me.

• 50:32Connor Wood?

You will get there. I promise you.

• 50:33Brooke Averick?

  I'm scared that I won't.

• 50:36Connor Wood?

  You will.

• 50:37Brooke Averick?

  Thank you.

• 50:38Connor Wood?

It's been two weeks now. Yeah, thank you, the privilege. And that goes beyond of having legs, of being able to walk, of having a foot that can be stubbed.

• 50:45Brooke Averick?

Thank you, the honor. Thank you, the honor of a lifetime.

• 50:47Connor Wood?

  Yeah.

• 50:47Brooke Averick?

  You like that?

• 50:48Connor Wood?

  Yeah, that was good.

• 50:49Brooke Averick?

  Okay.

• 50:49Connor Wood?

Yeah. And now, if you can seamlessly integrate it into a sentence, that's gonna be cherry on top.

• 50:54Brooke Averick?

  Okay.

• 50:54Connor Wood?

Sure. And then, the reason I've been thinking like that is because the other day, I posted an Instagram story of my dryer.

• 51:03Brooke Averick?

  Yes.

• 51:03Connor Wood?

And it's in my apartment. Of course, I have in, in unit washer dryer that like, and it's, if it's not clear to people, it's not usable because it takes 12 hours to do one small load of laundry because of, and it's just, it's not an efficient use of electricity and water because it goes and goes and goes. Because it's the same unit that does both. Thank you. The privilege, of course.

• 51:25Brooke Averick?

  Thank you, the privilege.

• 51:27Connor Wood?

Someone, I put it on my story because it shakes my whole kitchen and all the glasses clink and I had a coffee on the counter and it looked like an earthquake and I just posted it and I was like, "Using my dryer lol" and someone was like, "At least you have legs to walk."

• 51:39Brooke Averick?

Yeah. They skipped "at least you have a dryer" and went next level.

• 51:44Connor Wood?

Two people sent me that, said, "I'm not gonna do the other one, the other one was very dark," but I was like, "That's true." "At least you have legs."

• 51:51Brooke Averick?

  Yeah, thank you, the privilege.

• 51:52Connor Wood?

  Yeah, thank you, the privilege.

• 51:53Brooke Averick?

Thank you, the privilege. If I don't pee now, like it is gonna happen in the Kelly Clarkson.

• 51:58Connor Wood?

That's fine, you can go, I have stuff I can talk about.

• 52:00Brooke Averick?

Well, I would like to talk about it with you, so how about we just pause?

• 52:05Brooke Averick?

  Okay, so uh-

• 52:06Connor Wood?

  How was your pee?

• 52:07Brooke Averick?

Wait, I'm flagging really quickly that now I have a cough drop-

• 52:10Connor Wood?

  Okay.

• 52:10Brooke Averick?

-in my mouth, so I'm sorry, you guys. But there's something in my throat.

• 52:15Connor Wood?

  There's something in my throat?

• 52:18Connor Wood?

  Is the-

• 52:18Brooke Averick?

  Second thing?

• 52:19Connor Wood?

  Yeah.

• 52:19Brooke Averick?

I think I need to go to the bladder doctor. Because I've been noticing recently the frequency in which I have to pee has increased-

• 52:27Connor Wood?

  Okay.

• 52:27Brooke Averick?

-by a lot, but like, not a lot of pee is coming out. It's just like an urge. Do you think it's, like, age?

• 52:36Connor Wood?

Do you ever, you ever had this-

• 52:40Brooke Averick?

  Look, am I getting old?

• 52:41Connor Wood?

Have you ever had this certain urge to put a whole bag of jelly beans up your ass?

• 52:46Brooke Averick?

  Thank you.

• 52:49Connor Wood?

Yeah, it is an age thing, thank you.

• 52:50Brooke Averick?

Hmm, I've been getting gray hair too.

• 52:52Connor Wood?

  Aging is a blessing.

• 52:53Brooke Averick?

  Thank you, the privilege.

• 52:57Brooke Averick?

I should like, I wanted to get there myself and I can't.

• 53:01Connor Wood?

You will, now that you have that. That's a stepping stone to success.

• 53:04Brooke Averick?

Right, at least like, using it in the right context, right? Yeah, I agree. What were you gonna say about milking farm earlier?

• 53:11Connor Wood?

Then I'm gonna read it, I'm gonna give you your space once again, like I did on your half. And I'm gonna read it, and if anyone wants to join me on my milking farm journey, I'm gonna start on Monday.

• 53:22Brooke Averick?

Well, you know the reason I had to press pause is because I needed to start Creston City because I had a dream that Acotar was about to be, the new Acotar was about to be announced.

• 53:31Connor Wood?

Wait, did Alice Cooper have her on the podcast?

• 53:33Brooke Averick?

  Yes.

• 53:34Connor Wood?

  Sarah J. Maas?

• 53:35Brooke Averick?

  Yes.

• 53:35Connor Wood?

  Okay.

• 53:36Brooke Averick?

Do you, like, is that not, like, pretty weird?

• 53:39Connor Wood?

Did she not have a Sarah J. Maas of announcement to give?

• 53:42Brooke Averick?

  She, oh, she absolutely did.

• 53:43Connor Wood?

  Did she? What was it?

• 53:44Brooke Averick?

But before I even get into that, is that not, like, let's acknowledge that, like, me having that dream and then me having to pause Milking Farm because I needed to start Crescent City?

• 53:53Connor Wood?

  Right.

• 53:53Brooke Averick?

Is weird timing. Let's acknowledge that.

• 53:56Connor Wood?

  My water tastes like dust.

• 53:58Brooke Averick?

  Let's acknowledge that.

• 53:59Connor Wood?

Yeah, no, I, I, I do want to do that. And I, I think, yeah, I'm acknowledging it. That's crazy.

• 54:04Brooke Averick?

Do you understand, like, what, what's, like, do you know what Crescent City is? You know what I'm talking about? That's her other series that a lot of people have been putting off because it's just very dense.

• 54:15Connor Wood?

  Okay.

• 54:16Brooke Averick?

But you kind of need information from there to continue into the Acotar space.

• 54:21Connor Wood?

  Okay.

• 54:21Brooke Averick?

  So I had a dream.

• 54:22Connor Wood?

  An offshoot.

• 54:23Brooke Averick?

I, it's an offshoot, but there's believed to be an interconnectedness there that would help you and benefit you in the future Acotar books. So I had a dream that I was telling you about, like, a month or so ago, I said I have to press pause on Milking Farm because I think it's time for me to read Crescent City. Because I feel an Acotar 6 announcement coming.

• 54:44Connor Wood?

  Right.

• 54:44Brooke Averick?

  A few weeks later.

• 54:45Connor Wood?

  Yeah, like clockwork.

• 54:47Brooke Averick?

Not only did we get an Acotar 6 announcement, we got an Acotar 7 announcement and acknowledgement of an Acotar 8.

• 54:56Connor Wood?

What, how, what a cool spot for Sarah J. Maas to be in where she's just like, hmm, I'm bored. Let me write 7, 6, and 7, and 8.

• 55:05Brooke Averick?

Well, they're really one story, but she doesn't want to be bound by the glue that holds pages together. So she's introduced, she's publishing this same story.

• 55:13Connor Wood?

  Do you think I do?

• 55:15Brooke Averick?

No, imagine wanting to be bound by the glue. Thank you, the Elmers.

• 55:20Connor Wood?

Uh, oh, my God, you've strayed from the creator's light.

• 55:24Brooke Averick?

  Embarrassed.

• 55:26Connor Wood?

  Thank you, the Elmers.

• 55:30Brooke Averick?

  Stop, I'm embarrassed.

• 55:33Brooke Averick?

But, you should watch her on Call Her Daddy.

• 55:35Connor Wood?

  Okay.

• 55:36Brooke Averick?

A lot of people, like, I think that are unfamiliar with her, or like, she's weird, or not weird, like, just like

• 55:45Brooke Averick?

intense, like, I don't know, people are like, off-put, but what people are not realizing, I'm in love with this woman.

• 55:50Connor Wood?

  Yeah.

• 55:51Brooke Averick?

By the way, like, in a way that I've never been in love with a woman before.

• 55:53Connor Wood?

  Yeah, yeah, yeah, yeah, yeah.

• 55:55Brooke Averick?

What people are not realizing is that she's a nerd trapped in a really, really hot person's body. And I think that's-

• 56:01Connor Wood?

  I've seen that several times.

• 56:02Brooke Averick?

  That's what's throwing everyone off.

• 56:04Connor Wood?

  Yeah.

• 56:04Brooke Averick?

Is that you wouldn't question her if she looked more traditionally nerd.

• 56:08Connor Wood?

You know who she kind of looks like?

• 56:09Brooke Averick?

  What?

• 56:10Connor Wood?

  Um...

• 56:12Connor Wood?

Frick. What's that girl's name? I just said frick. Uh... Meghan...

• 56:19Brooke Averick?

  Peihei?

• 56:19Connor Wood?

  Peihei.

• 56:20Brooke Averick?

  Yeah, she is-

• 56:21Connor Wood?

  She totally does.

• 56:22Brooke Averick?

Yeah, she's extremely beautiful, and I think it's throwing a lot of people for a loop.

• 56:28Connor Wood?

Yeah, she's gorgeous, I was gonna say Hilary Duff, too.

• 56:30Brooke Averick?

She's like, "Oh my god, speaking of Hillary..."

• 56:32Connor Wood?

  Yeah, I saw that.

• 56:33Brooke Averick?

  What?

• 56:34Connor Wood?

  Oh.

• 56:34Brooke Averick?

  What did you see?

• 56:36Connor Wood?

Just the mic that she was using the other day, did you see, did anyone see that?

• 56:40Brooke Averick?

  No.

• 56:41Connor Wood?

It is like crazy what they've done to microphones now, like, you can, because there was like a big back, oh, do you want me to do this now, or should you, do you want to finish?

• 56:48Brooke Averick?

Uh, I have something to say about Hilary Duff, but you can talk about her microphone if you need.

• 56:54Connor Wood?

No, no, no, I just saw this discourse online about like, they're now making mics, because everyone's like, "No, the mic is on, like, as you can see, because people were lip syncing, and now they have built the auto-tune and pitch correction into the handheld microphone now."

• 57:07Brooke Averick?

Sing to me, Paolo, how ironic, isn't it? Isn't it ironic?

• 57:12Connor Wood?

And someone was like, "It's crazy that the thing that ruined Jessica Simpson's career is now like, the norm."

• 57:17Brooke Averick?

  Yeah.

• 57:18Connor Wood?

Must be hard, but Jessica Simpson has a very successful line of shoes.

• 57:20Brooke Averick?

  She will be okay.

• 57:21Connor Wood?

  Yeah.

• 57:21Brooke Averick?

  She will be okay. Um...

• 57:25Brooke Averick?

Hilary Duff went on, I think it was Jay Shetty's podcast the other day.

• 57:30Connor Wood?

  Yeah.

• 57:32Brooke Averick?

And she was talking about how she's had to go no contact with a lot of members of her family, particularly Haley Duff, her sister.

• 57:38Connor Wood?

  Yeah.

• 57:39Brooke Averick?

And I think her dad, but I have, I had been in a fight with my sister. We had, we have not spoken in two weeks. This is the first time that we like really haven't spoken. And so I took a pretty big risk comedically. And I sent her, we had, we had been no contact for two. I sent her a clip of Hillary on Jay Shetty, like with dramatic music playing in the background, being like, my sister and I are no contact. And so I sent that to her and then immediately I went, my stomach dropped and I was like, I think that wasn't, I think it's not going to land. Cause it was, it was a pretty damn big risk to take.

• 58:18Connor Wood?

  Yeah.

• 58:19Brooke Averick?

Frickin slam dunk. Like that's my sister again now.

• 58:25Connor Wood?

  That's awesome.

• 58:25Brooke Averick?

  Yeah. So.

• 58:27Connor Wood?

Oh, that's so fun when you.

• 58:28Brooke Averick?

You take a hundred percent, you miss a hundred percent of the shots you don't take.

• 58:32Connor Wood?

  Kobe.

• 58:33Brooke Averick?

  Yeah.

• 58:34Connor Wood?

  That's so, that's.

• 58:35Brooke Averick?

  So that was really cool.

• 58:37Connor Wood?

I'm happy for you. I actually like, I'm sharing that win with you. That's amazing one.

• 58:41Brooke Averick?

  Yeah.

• 58:42Connor Wood?

And now have you started talking?

• 58:44Brooke Averick?

  Yeah. Oh, we're completely back.

• 58:46Connor Wood?

I got like a six years ago today thing of me and my sister and I was like, this might be the fugliest photo I've ever seen of both of us. And she said, yuck. And that was our conversation yesterday. It is kind of just like boom, boom.

• 58:57Brooke Averick?

Sometimes you don't need a lot of words. It's the unspoken.

• 59:00Connor Wood?

  She actually said, holy yuck.

• 59:02Brooke Averick?

Holy yuck. I like holy yuck.

• 59:03Connor Wood?

  Yeah. Holy yuck.

• 59:07Brooke Averick?

  Holy yuck.

• 59:09Connor Wood?

Did you see, okay, wait, this is like a fun one. This is like a fun one for us to keep up with, a space to watch, if you will. People are seeing Bigfoot.

• 59:18Brooke Averick?

  No.

• 59:18Connor Wood?

No, I'm serious. For all of the people that said, nothing ever happens with this, you're eating, you're about to eat your words for breakfast, lunch and supper. People are seeing Bigfoot. There's been like eight sightings in a row and it's real.

• 59:31Brooke Averick?

  Is Bigfoot also AKA Sasquatch?

• 59:34Connor Wood?

  Sasquatch. Yeah.

• 59:35Brooke Averick?

But is that like a slur now?

• 59:39Connor Wood?

I mean, if it's like an, if it's like a person.

• 59:41Brooke Averick?

  Or is Bigfoot the slur?

• 59:44Connor Wood?

If you have Bigfoot, if you have one Bigfoot,

• 59:49Connor Wood?

um, I mean, it probably would hurt your feelings if you were in like eighth grade, if you were being called Bigfoot.

• 59:54Brooke Averick?

I'm just talking about like the Bigfoot community. I feel like one of the terms is not accepted anymore.

• 1:00:01Brooke Averick?

  It might be Sasquatch.

• 1:00:03Connor Wood?

Wait, like that, that community is offended on behalf of-

• 1:00:04Brooke Averick?

Is like, please don't use this word.

• 1:00:06Connor Wood?

  Oh, well, sorry.

• 1:00:08Brooke Averick?

No, I'm not, I, I'm not coming for you. I'm just like, which one is it? I wonder. I feel comfortable saying it.

• 1:00:14Connor Wood?

  I do too.

• 1:00:15Brooke Averick?

Yeah, but I, I could be open to learning.

• 1:00:20Connor Wood?

We have always been open to learning. I would like to have a Sasquatch or Bigfoot expert on. But wait, can we type in? I want to see if this is real. Like, that, so like it's been coming up a lot. Like this is like, unless I'm on, as always, as always, I'm on like conspiracy theory TikTok, which like a big one right now has been, people are saying that wisdom teeth actually have a lot of sim cells that help your brain and heart repair themselves.

• 1:00:47Brooke Averick?

I don't know about that. I still have mine.

• 1:00:51Connor Wood?

  Your heart is fine.

• 1:00:51Brooke Averick?

  I'm talking about my brain.

• 1:00:53Connor Wood?

Reports of 10 foot hairy figures in the Ohio woods have Bigfoot watchers buzzing. So there's been a strange, a string of strange sightings. That's hard. A strange, a sing of, a string of strange sighting. Whoa. A string of, a string of, of the same.

• 1:01:10Brooke Averick?

  Of the same.

• 1:01:15Brooke Averick?

Keep going till you get it.

• 1:01:16Connor Wood?

Thank you, the language barrier. A string of strange sightings of large, dark, and hairy figures in Ohio has Bigfoot investigators more riled up than they've been in decades. According to the Bigfoot Society, so Bigfoot is, it's okay. It's kosher. It's major kosher.

• 1:01:29Brooke Averick?

If the society is saying it, it must be okay. Thank you, the Bigfoot Society. That felt better. That did feel better.

• 1:01:35Connor Wood?

  No, I think you'd say,

• 1:01:38Connor Wood?

I think you'd say like, what is the society? Like what has brought these people together?

• 1:01:41Brooke Averick?

What is the society for 400?

• 1:01:44Connor Wood?

As of Tuesday morning, at least six locals have reported spotting something in the woods that could be a giant hairy ape man. That feels like a slur.

• 1:01:52Brooke Averick?

  That does.

• 1:01:53Connor Wood?

Oh my gosh. Even, okay, what's crazy? Okay, now I have a connection.

• 1:01:57Brooke Averick?

  What?

• 1:02:00Connor Wood?

I got a text. "Apple is releasing a Bigfoot emoji soon." They just released their emoji list and one of them is-

• 1:02:09Brooke Averick?

  Oh, cool!

• 1:02:10Connor Wood?

  A big hairy man.

• 1:02:12Brooke Averick?

  I really like emojis.

• 1:02:13Connor Wood?

Maybe this is like... Oh no, do you think this is press for their new emoji?

• 1:02:19Brooke Averick?

  Oh, the Bigfoot sightings?

• 1:02:21Connor Wood?

  Yeah.

• 1:02:22Brooke Averick?

  Honestly, Connor?

• 1:02:24Connor Wood?

  Maybe? Damn.

• 1:02:28Brooke Averick?

Well, also like, we don't know which one came first, the chicken or the egg. Did the Bigfoot sightings come first or did the emoji-

• 1:02:34Connor Wood?

Well, just like, no one ever gives a shit when this team releases a collection of emojis. It's like-

• 1:02:39Brooke Averick?

I agree that it's PR. It's emoji PR.

• 1:02:43Connor Wood?

"March 6 in Montua, a 9-foot brown male spotted near Essa."

• 1:02:47Brooke Averick?

How do they know it's a male?

• 1:02:48Connor Wood?

  That's the problem, Matt. Hi-

• 1:02:51Brooke Averick?

  Have you ever-

• 1:02:52Connor Wood?

I just saw a 9-foot brown male and they're like, "Okay, chill."

• 1:02:54Brooke Averick?

Have you ever considered the fact that Bigfoot could be a woman?

• 1:02:59Connor Wood?

  Well, they said ape-man.

• 1:03:01Brooke Averick?

Right, but how would they know?

• 1:03:03Connor Wood?

  Good question.

• 1:03:04Brooke Averick?

So, it's just something to think about. Like, we always think about Bigfoot as a boy and the Loch Ness monster as a girl.

• 1:03:10Connor Wood?

  Nessie.

• 1:03:11Brooke Averick?

  Yeah, because of Ness.

• 1:03:12Connor Wood?

  Yeah.

• 1:03:13Brooke Averick?

Who, by the way, I believe in much more than Bigfoot. 95% of the ocean is unexplored and it might even be 99%.

• 1:03:19Connor Wood?

  It's in a lake.

• 1:03:21Brooke Averick?

  Or it's in the Loch.

• 1:03:23Connor Wood?

  Which is a lake.

• 1:03:24Brooke Averick?

  Yeah.

• 1:03:24Connor Wood?

  Thank you, the language barrier.

• 1:03:27Brooke Averick?

Yeah, it is. 100. I'm just saying, I meant like waters, you know? And much more likely to believe there's something in the water.

• 1:03:37Connor Wood?

Mine tastes like this. And, okay, another one. "An 8-foot figure with a deep vibrating grunt."

• 1:03:42Brooke Averick?

Oh, absolutely. Thank you, the North Atlantic. That-

• 1:03:48Connor Wood?

  Why did you say that?

• 1:03:49Brooke Averick?

I was about 5 minutes late with Nessie.

• 1:03:54Connor Wood?

Okay. March 9th, Garrettsville, a hiker encountered an eight-foot Sasquatch in black fur. Headwaters Trail, 10-foot, and this is on March 9th as well. Uh, an hour and 40 minutes after. Headwaters Trail, 10-foot black figure with a stilt-like gait and musky odor. This is PR.

• 1:04:11Brooke Averick?

  Musky odor.

• 1:04:12Connor Wood?

Cause how close are, and no pictures, by the way. Oh, this is PR. A six-foot brown figure spotted running with an impossibly long stride. We need your help. If you're in Wyndham, Garrettsville, or the Trumbull County line, be our eyes and ears. Check trail cams and security footage. Listen for deep grunts, whoops, or wood knocks. Report sightings immediately. Witness privacy is our priority.

• 1:04:34Brooke Averick?

  Okay. This is PR.

• 1:04:37Connor Wood?

  Yeah.

• 1:04:38Brooke Averick?

  For big emoji.

• 1:04:40Connor Wood?

  Yeah.

• 1:04:42Brooke Averick?

  I'm sorry.

• 1:04:43Connor Wood?

I mean, that is a bummer, or is it a distraction from the Epstein files?

• 1:04:48Brooke Averick?

Everything is a distraction from the Epstein files.

• 1:04:51Connor Wood?

  Yeah.

• 1:04:55Connor Wood?

  Stop laughing. Stupid.

• 1:04:58Brooke Averick?

  Get this.

• 1:04:59Connor Wood?

Oh my gosh, we need to smoke with Bigfoot.

• 1:05:01Brooke Averick?

Oh, that could be hot. But get this, remember I was telling you about my terrible neighbor?

• 1:05:07Connor Wood?

  Yeah.

• 1:05:09Brooke Averick?

I'm almost like scared of like what she could do to me.

• 1:05:12Connor Wood?

  Why?

• 1:05:12Brooke Averick?

Because I met for the first time, one of my other neighbors who like lives in my, like my apartment is kind of like someone lives on top of me. So I met him for the first time and he was like, excuse me. And I obviously always think I'm getting in trouble.

• 1:05:28Connor Wood?

  Yeah.

• 1:05:29Brooke Averick?

  But he was like, um.

• 1:05:31Connor Wood?

You turn around and you're like, what?

• 1:05:32Brooke Averick?

I was like, yeah. He was asking if I have ever had any issues.

• 1:05:36Connor Wood?

  Yeah.

• 1:05:37Brooke Averick?

With the neighbor and I was like, yes. Like I got these notes all over my car, just like horrible vibes. Like she's always calling the police on stuff, like just like horrible vibes. Apparently she's been calling him slurs.

• 1:05:54Brooke Averick?

And so he asked me if I, if it would be okay if he put a pride flag out. I started sobbing. I said, I'm embarrassed that I don't already have one out. And then I just ordered a pack of 40 and I'm gonna plant them.

• 1:06:10Connor Wood?

That might be, this is when your schooling and the way you were raised comes back to play. You can be so progressive that it's a bit homophobic.

• 1:06:18Brooke Averick?

  To have 40 pride flags?

• 1:06:19Connor Wood?

I think so. Yeah, I think they cancel each other out.

• 1:06:22Brooke Averick?

Okay, then what can I do?

• 1:06:24Connor Wood?

I think one would be great.

• 1:06:26Brooke Averick?

Okay. And I'll just save 39 for, for a rainy day.

• 1:06:30Connor Wood?

  Yeah. Thank you, the community.

• 1:06:33Brooke Averick?

  Don't. Okay, I'm, okay, I will just do the one. I don't wanna, I don't wanna.

• 1:06:38Connor Wood?

  Yeah, 40s.

• 1:06:40Brooke Averick?

Well, it came in a pack of 40. That's not mine.

• 1:06:43Connor Wood?

Maybe put them on her door.

• 1:06:45Brooke Averick?

That is like, I could, she will, she would get me arrested. She has cameras everywhere.

• 1:06:50Connor Wood?

  Sure.

• 1:06:50Brooke Averick?

  But what a horrible person.

• 1:06:54Connor Wood?

Yeah, that's bad. Well, you had a, you had a, you had a gut feeling about her.

• 1:06:59Brooke Averick?

  Oh, she's terrible. So stay.

• 1:07:04Connor Wood?

  Vigilant.

• 1:07:05Brooke Averick?

Vigilant. That is what I'll say.

• 1:07:08Connor Wood?

  Yeah.

• 1:07:08Brooke Averick?

And I'll let, also, how could you live in West Hollywood and be homophobic? That's what I wanna know.

• 1:07:14Connor Wood?

  Mm-hmm. Good question.

• 1:07:16Brooke Averick?

It's statistically, your neighbors will be gay. Statistically speaking.

• 1:07:24Connor Wood?

  Right.

• 1:07:24Brooke Averick?

  And hers are.

• 1:07:25Connor Wood?

It's just a numbers game at this point.

• 1:07:27Brooke Averick?

  So, I love my neighbor.

• 1:07:29Connor Wood?

  Good.

• 1:07:29Brooke Averick?

It was nice to talk to him.

• 1:07:30Connor Wood?

  Right, of course.

• 1:07:31Brooke Averick?

Yeah. So, I'll keep you updated.

• 1:07:34Connor Wood?

  Right. Thank you, the connection.

• 1:07:36Brooke Averick?

And let me know if you, if anyone here needs a pride flag.

• 1:07:39Connor Wood?

Well, that's really special. Are we, I think we're wrapping, right? No? Oh, all right.

• 1:07:46Brooke Averick?

  Oh.

• 1:07:47Connor Wood?

Well, thank you guys for listening. I sure had fun in the studio today.

• 1:08:10Connor Wood?
