Welcome everyone to this episode. Very excited about this. Make sure to share it out with your friends. LewisHowes.com/290 and head back to that link to see all the show notes from today's episode. We've got the one and only Logan Paul, who is taking over the internet in a major, massive way. This kid is 20 years old, from Ohio like myself, and he has literally come on the scene with a vengeance and made so many people captivated by his unique talent. And we're going to dive in and talk about his unique talent today, but for those that don't know who Logan Paul is, he's incredibly popular on Vine with over 9 million followers.

• 1:15Lewis Howes?

Built his following there first, then grew on YouTube and Facebook and now Snapchat. He's one of the most watched people on Facebook last year and has appeared on Law and Order, as well as upcoming feature films that are coming out this year. He's also again from Ohio and he's only 20 years old. That's right. A few things that we cover today is what top viners are making now? How Snapchat has changed the game for him? The formula for creating a viral video on Vine or anywhere? Why Logan is headed off digital for his next couple of projects and into traditional media? The value of pushing yourself physically and mentally every day?

• 1:58Lewis Howes?

And what Logan says to himself every single morning to get up and do the things that he does? Very excited about this one. We had an awesome time connecting here in my studio in Los Angeles. And I hope you guys enjoy listening to Logan Paul. So without further ado, let me introduce you to the one, the only Logan Paul.

• 2:23Lewis Howes?

Okay, welcome everyone to the School of Greatness Podcast. I got my man Logan Paul in the house. What's up, brother?

• 2:27Speaker 01

How you doing, man? Ohio brothers.

• 2:29Lewis Howes?

Ohio brothers. I brought the shirt. Haters love us.

• 2:32Speaker 01

The O in love is the state of Ohio shaped for those of you listening.

• 2:36Lewis Howes?

Yes, exactly. And I found out about you a couple of years ago through Vine. Someone reshared or re-Vine something when I was on for like a month. And I was like, who is this kid? He's from Ohio. He's going to OU at the time. This is two years ago, right?

• 2:49Speaker 01

Yeah, man. Two years ago. Wow.

• 2:52Lewis Howes?

Does it seem like a lifetime ago?

• 2:53Speaker 01

Uh, I don't, it's, it's the old cliche. It's going by so fast. I'm 20 years old. So like, I'm still young, but I don't know, man.

• 3:02Lewis Howes?

It's, it's crazy. How's it, how's it feel moving from Ohio? We're both from a small town in Ohio. Delaware, Ohio had 20 something thousand people when I was growing up. And where, where are you from?

• 3:12Speaker 01

I was from Westlake. It was a little bigger. It had like 50,000 people.

• 3:14Lewis Howes?

  Still pretty small.

• 3:15Speaker 01

Yeah. Um, dude, honestly, I don't even know what's going on anymore. It's just beyond, beyond the point of comprehension. I'm just, I'm living my life and loving every second of it.

• 3:25Lewis Howes?

  Living the dream, man.

• 3:27Speaker 01

  Living the dream.

• 3:27Lewis Howes?

Everything you do just looks like so much fun.

• 3:29Speaker 01

Dude, it is so much fun. Like, that's what I'm saying. I don't even know what's going on anymore. I just, I'm so fortunate and lucky and blessed. Um, whatever the positive affirmation word is, but I'm doing it, man. I'm out here and I just, let's just do it.

• 3:44Lewis Howes?

It's crazy, man. So for those that don't know who you are, you're one, you were one of the biggest people on Vine. What do you have, like eight million?

• 3:51Speaker 01

I just hit nine. I just hit nine million.

• 3:53Lewis Howes?

  Nine million Vines, subscribers, followers.

• 3:56Speaker 01

  Nine million followers.

• 3:57Lewis Howes?

Uh, you're, you know, blowing up on Facebook. You got, what, eight million over here on Facebook, right?

• 4:03Speaker 01

  Yeah, yeah.

• 4:03Lewis Howes?

Eight point one million. It'll probably be 20 million by the time this comes out. Um, you're, you just had the cover of Adweek for one of the top internet celebrities. And uh, you're just, there's no, nothing shows me that you're slowing down. It's like you're just scratching the surface.

• 4:20Speaker 01

Never, never slowing down, man. Um.

• 4:22Lewis Howes?

Did I see you were on CSI as well or something?

• 4:24Speaker 01

Uh, there was Law and Order.

• 4:25Lewis Howes?

  Law and Order.

• 4:26Speaker 01

Yeah, yeah, yeah. And that was like, that was one of the first things I did. I have a, a bunch of TV spots coming out like in the next couple of months. Yeah, we, we shot them all in 2016, so. Yeah, I'm excited, man. It's gonna be a big year, big year. And no, definitely not slowing down.

• 4:39Lewis Howes?

Nothing slowing down. So when you were growing up and you were a wrestling state champion, right?

• 4:43Speaker 01

  I got.

• 4:44Lewis Howes?

  To the championships?

• 4:45Speaker 01

I got to the state championships and I placed fifth. I know, I know.

• 4:50Lewis Howes?

  What weight class were you?

• 4:50Speaker 01

  I was 182.

• 4:52Lewis Howes?

Okay, that's a tough weight class.

• 4:54Speaker 01

  There's some big boys there.

• 4:55Lewis Howes?

  That's real tough.

• 4:56Speaker 01

They're no longer people. They're more like machines and and robotry. That's not a word.

• 5:00Lewis Howes?

Were you, which division, which class?

• 5:02Speaker 01

  I was, I was D1.

• 5:04Lewis Howes?

  Wow.

• 5:05Speaker 01

  D1, 182.

• 5:06Lewis Howes?

Those are, and the Ohio wrestling boys are no joke. Those are some of the best wrestlers in the country.

• 5:10Speaker 01

It's the second hardest state and like.

• 5:11Lewis Howes?

  By what, Iowa or something?

• 5:12Speaker 01

  Yeah, I think it's Pennsylvania.

• 5:14Lewis Howes?

  Something like that.

• 5:14Speaker 01

Dude, but yeah, these kids are animals, man. And like.

• 5:18Lewis Howes?

  Freaks.

• 5:18Speaker 01

I'm, I'm, I'm pretty big too. Like I'm muscular and stuff, but I'm like, I liked wrestling because it was like physical and I like, it was like a hobby, not like, I'm gonna go wrestling college and conquer the nation. Like, that's not what it was, but uh, you know, I did, I did the best I could.

• 5:33Lewis Howes?

And you're a track athlete as well, right?

• 5:35Speaker 01

So I did, I did track when I was younger. Um, I've always been fast and I decided to do football.

• 5:42Lewis Howes?

  Hmm.

• 5:42Speaker 01

Uh, yeah, I got, I got all state, all state linebacker.

• 5:45Lewis Howes?

  Really?

• 5:46Speaker 01

  Yeah.

• 5:46Lewis Howes?

Nice, man. I was all state receiver.

• 5:48Speaker 01

  There we go, dude, dude.

• 5:49Lewis Howes?

  More in common every second.

• 5:50Speaker 01

Dude, I would have guarded you, man. When you come across the field, I pick the ball off.

• 5:55Lewis Howes?

That's great. So you're all state. Uh, you ran track earlier. I think I saw a photo of you, uh, in your track days on Instagram.

• 6:01Speaker 01

  Oh, yes.

• 6:02Lewis Howes?

Checking out the, uh, some other runners, getting in their stands. Um, okay. So you were just a great athlete all around. Did you get a scholarship to OU or?

• 6:10Speaker 01

Uh, so I, I could have gone for football, but I decided to go for academics.

• 6:15Lewis Howes?

It's crazy, man. Engineering, is that what I saw?

• 6:17Speaker 01

  Industrial and systems engineering.

• 6:20Lewis Howes?

What? So you got a full ride?

• 6:22Speaker 01

Yeah, full academic ride. Yeah, man. I got a, I got a 33 on my ACT and then, um.

• 6:28Lewis Howes?

  Wow.

• 6:28Speaker 01

Yeah, they liked me enough. I went in for some interviews and they liked me enough.

• 6:31Lewis Howes?

How does a jock do that well in school?

• 6:35Speaker 01

Dude, I had a shirt actually that said, uh, not a jock, but a scholar athlete.

• 6:41Lewis Howes?

That usually means you're a bad athlete.

• 6:42Speaker 01

  Yeah.

• 6:43Lewis Howes?

You're not that good of an athlete. But you were a great athlete, it sounds like.

• 6:45Speaker 01

Thank you. Yeah, man. Uh, I, I, dude, again, I don't know, man. I just, I got blessed that I actually liked school and I liked sports and I was just good at both.

• 6:56Lewis Howes?

  Amazing.

• 6:57Speaker 01

  Yeah, man. But obviously, uh.

• 6:59Lewis Howes?

And you chose the academic scholar out.

• 7:01Speaker 01

Academics were safer. Like, I didn't want to blow out my knee in college. Like, I, I didn't plan on it. Concussions or something? Yeah, dude, like, I, I'm, I was good, but I wasn't gonna go pro and I knew that. So why not do academics, which I, I still like, like chemistry and math? They called me the calc god in high school.

• 7:16Lewis Howes?

  What?

• 7:17Speaker 01

  The calc god.

• 7:17Lewis Howes?

  No way.

• 7:18Speaker 01

Yeah, bro. Y equals two X plus B.

• 7:21Lewis Howes?

  Oh, my gosh.

• 7:22Speaker 01

I forgot all of it, in case anyone.

• 7:24Lewis Howes?

I was probably one of the worst students in school. I went to a private boarding school in high school in St. Louis, Missouri. And they gave us, I don't know if they do this at public schools, but they gave me, um, every student got a ranking on their grade card every semester.

• 7:38Speaker 01

Oh, boy. Oh, they did that. They did that?

• 7:40Lewis Howes?

Yeah. Were you, like, top ten always?

• 7:42Speaker 01

  I was seventeen.

• 7:43Lewis Howes?

  Oh, my goodness.

• 7:44Speaker 01

Dude, my class was so, like, so competitive. Everyone was smart. Everyone was smart.

• 7:49Lewis Howes?

How many kids were in your, your class?

• 7:50Speaker 01

  I think, like, four hundred.

• 7:52Lewis Howes?

Okay, yeah, there was, like, three hundred in mine and I was always in the bottom four.

• 7:56Speaker 01

  Shut up, bro.

• 7:57Lewis Howes?

I was always in the bottom four. That's how, like, horrible at school I was. I was great at sports. Dude, I couldn't understand anything. I couldn't comprehend. Like, every class was challenging except for.

• 8:08Speaker 01

  No way.

• 8:09Lewis Howes?

  Except for PE.

• 8:10Speaker 01

There you go. My boy's repping out the pull-ups, man.

• 8:13Lewis Howes?

I'll tell you what, one class that I actually got interested in was, uh, typing.

• 8:18Speaker 01

  Really?

• 8:18Lewis Howes?

Because it was like I could use, it was like a sport.

• 8:20Speaker 01

  It's a skill, dude.

• 8:21Lewis Howes?

And I could get into it. And it's been the best thing that ever happened in high school for me.

• 8:24Speaker 01

  Typing is so valuable.

• 8:25Lewis Howes?

  It's incredible.

• 8:27Speaker 01

  People don't realize.

• 8:27Lewis Howes?

I'm sure you get a billion emails a day.

• 8:29Speaker 01

Dude, I'm just, and I'm just typing away. I, cause I did it. I did the typing class. Yeah.

• 8:32Lewis Howes?

That was the only thing I focused in school.

• 8:34Speaker 01

  There you go.

• 8:35Lewis Howes?

  That's hilarious, man.

• 8:36Speaker 01

I, like I said, like, school wasn't for everybody. I, I think the whole, like, you know, United States school system has enough problems and there's enough controversy as it is, but like, I just, I just happened to be good at it, so I, I went with it, yeah.

• 8:48Lewis Howes?

I wish I had that talent, man. You had, you had like the quadruple threat with three sports and school.

• 8:53Speaker 01

There you go. There you go, man.

• 8:54Lewis Howes?

So. So you go to academic scholarship to OU.

• 8:58Speaker 01

  Mm hmm.

• 8:58Lewis Howes?

Which I've been to OU Halloween parties, which are.

• 9:01Speaker 01

  Dude.

• 9:02Lewis Howes?

  Some of the most epic.

• 9:02Speaker 01

  Dude.

• 9:03Lewis Howes?

  Nights.

• 9:03Speaker 01

  Number one party school.

• 9:04Lewis Howes?

I've been there twice. When I was. When I was in school at Ohio, uh, at college, at Capital University, I would go there on Halloween with a bunch of my college football buddies and it was. Lights out, man.

• 9:15Speaker 01

  Nuts, dude.

• 9:16Lewis Howes?

  Unbelievable.

• 9:16Speaker 01

The population of the city quadrupled.

• 9:19Lewis Howes?

It's insane. Like every college comes to.

• 9:21Speaker 01

Every college, you can't move in the streets.

• 9:23Lewis Howes?

  It's insane.

• 9:24Speaker 01

Yeah, I, uh, I got lucky enough to, so the DJ, I, I've been there one, one time. So you've been more than.

• 9:29Lewis Howes?

One and done is all you need.

• 9:31Speaker 01

One and done. Uh, cause yeah, I only went for a year, but I got lucky enough. The DJ knew me. He was like a fan of me.

• 9:36Lewis Howes?

  No way.

• 9:37Speaker 01

He brought me up on stage.

• 9:38Lewis Howes?

  Oh my gosh.

• 9:39Speaker 01

I gotta do like a backflip in the splits.

• 9:41Lewis Howes?

Dude, your splits are insane. How do you do this, man?

• 9:45Speaker 01

  Oh, boy. Uh.

• 9:46Lewis Howes?

Just so those that don't know, go follow Logan Paul on everywhere and see, there's a video every two weeks of you doing the splits.

• 9:54Speaker 01

  Yeah.

• 9:54Lewis Howes?

I'm like in awe of that talent.

• 9:57Speaker 01

  My dude.

• 9:57Lewis Howes?

How did, were you like a gymnast growing up as well?

• 9:59Speaker 01

Splits. Uh, so here's, here's the dealio. I'm also extremely injury prone.

• 10:06Lewis Howes?

  Hmm.

• 10:06Speaker 01

Uh, maybe that's my misfortune, like some next levels. Like I have a metal plate the size of a quarter in my head.

• 10:12Lewis Howes?

  No way.

• 10:12Speaker 01

  Yeah, man.

• 10:13Lewis Howes?

Can you see it? Is that why your hair is over the top or what?

• 10:14Speaker 01

Yeah, no, yes. I, I purposely grow out my hair. Uh, no, I have like, I do have a big scar.

• 10:19Lewis Howes?

Can you see it or no?

• 10:20Speaker 01

  Nine inch scar.

• 10:22Lewis Howes?

  Oh, wow.

• 10:23Speaker 01

  Can you see it?

• 10:23Lewis Howes?

  That's gnarly, dude.

• 10:24Speaker 01

Yeah. Ain't no joke, ain't no joke, but, uh, yeah, so I'm extremely, extremely injury prone. Um, and I got knee surgery on both of my knees, like when I was a freshman.

• 10:36Lewis Howes?

  From football or from?

• 10:37Speaker 01

Yeah, from football. I was 14 years old and I'm getting like cartilage removed from my knee. Yeah, so.

• 10:41Lewis Howes?

  That's no good.

• 10:42Speaker 01

When I went to PT, um, they were just having to stretch.

• 10:45Lewis Howes?

  All day.

• 10:46Speaker 01

All day, stretched all day. And then by the time I could play again, I would, I would try to do squats and leg lifts. And I could, I could never do it. Um, because it would just hurt. I could do it, but it, I wouldn't be able to walk in like an hour. So.

• 10:59Lewis Howes?

  Wow.

• 11:00Speaker 01

Instead of doing leg lifts, I was that guy. I skipped leg day. I did this. Uh, I got chicken legs, but I also became super flexible because all I would do was stretch. So the lack of strength was made up for with flexibility.

• 11:14Lewis Howes?

And that increases your speed as well. I mean, if you can be more flexible.

• 11:17Speaker 01

It helps so much in the long run. Everything. Especially now, like now I'm doing splits on, on the internet. What, like what?

• 11:22Lewis Howes?

And no one could do that.

• 11:23Speaker 01

  What?

• 11:23Lewis Howes?

One of the guy could do a split.

• 11:24Speaker 01

  I don't know, bro.

• 11:25Lewis Howes?

  Unless you're a gymnast.

• 11:26Speaker 01

  Yeah, seriously.

• 11:27Lewis Howes?

  That's like five, five.

• 11:28Speaker 01

It worked out perfectly, man. No one expects a six foot two, two hundred pound guy to just drop into the splits.

• 11:34Lewis Howes?

It's unbelievable. Yeah. Okay, so when did you start getting into social media? Was it before you went to college or?

• 11:43Speaker 01

So, okay, uh, I did not have social media before I knew you could get famous on social media. Like, I did not have an Instagram. I did not.

• 11:51Lewis Howes?

  No Facebook?

• 11:52Speaker 01

  Nothing. I was.

• 11:53Lewis Howes?

You weren't on Facebook in high school?

• 11:54Speaker 01

No, no, my bad. I was on Facebook.

• 11:55Lewis Howes?

But you weren't using it. You were just connecting with girls or whatever.

• 11:57Speaker 01

Yeah, yeah, dude, not even that. Like, that would have been a cool story.

• 12:01Lewis Howes?

  Like, study groups.

• 12:02Speaker 01

Exactly. Quote-unquote, study groups. Uh, no, man, I, I wasn't on anything. And my girlfriend at the time, who I, I've had two girlfriends in my life. The first one, she's pretty influential, obviously. She goes, you should get a Twitter. And so, yeah, she's the first person I followed. And then this Vine thing, yeah.

• 12:21Lewis Howes?

The first person you followed on Twitter?

• 12:22Speaker 01

  Yeah.

• 12:22Lewis Howes?

  Girlfriend?

• 12:23Speaker 01

Yep. And to this day, we're so cool, but I hit her up the other day. I was like, you were the first person I followed on social media ever.

• 12:31Lewis Howes?

And now look at me. Look at me now.

• 12:33Speaker 01

  Nah, seriously, it's like, uh.

• 12:35Lewis Howes?

  Wow.

• 12:35Speaker 01

  Yeah, so.

• 12:37Lewis Howes?

So you followed her on Twitter and you started a Twitter account?

• 12:39Speaker 01

  Started Twitter is, is whatever.

• 12:41Lewis Howes?

This what, two thousand nine, two thousand ten?

• 12:42Speaker 01

Early, early days. Yes, yes, two thousand ten.

• 12:47Lewis Howes?

Early. I started two thousand eight on Twitter.

• 12:49Speaker 01

I didn't even know it existed then. See, I don't know like the history of the app. I just kinda hopped on.

• 12:53Lewis Howes?

  Sure, sure.

• 12:54Speaker 01

But, uh, Vine came about, uh, two years ago.

• 12:57Lewis Howes?

  Yeah.

• 12:58Speaker 01

  And.

• 12:58Lewis Howes?

Two thousand thirteen. Oh, no, two thousand thirteen or fourteen?

• 13:01Speaker 01

I think it might have been thirteen.

• 13:02Lewis Howes?

  Thirteen, probably, yeah.

• 13:03Speaker 01

Thirteen, which would be three years ago.

• 13:05Lewis Howes?

About two and a half or whatever, whenever you got there.

• 13:06Speaker 01

No, it is, it's three years old now. So, yeah, Vine came about and I saw the kids my age were getting famous on this, this dumb little application where you make.

• 13:15Lewis Howes?

  Six-second videos, right?

• 13:16Speaker 01

Looping six-second videos. Like, well, wh- how does this guy have two hundred thousand followers? He's not that funny. Like, I could, I could, I could do this. Um, so I did. So I did it, man. And it, like, everyone, pretty much every Vine famous person you will talk to will tell you.

• 13:34Speaker 01

Yeah, I was just making videos goofing around and they they just took off. I don't know what happened. Me, no dude, I was like, dude, I was like, I'm going to get Vine famous and be better than all of these kids on this app.

• 13:45Lewis Howes?

Who's the biggest person on Vine?

• 13:47Speaker 01

  My boy King Batch.

• 13:48Lewis Howes?

Oh, you guys live in the same building, right?

• 13:50Speaker 01

Yeah, we live in the same building. Yeah, yeah.

• 13:51Lewis Howes?

Tiny little dude. I've seen him a couple of times.

• 13:53Speaker 01

  He's like.

• 13:54Lewis Howes?

  Short, right?

• 13:54Speaker 01

  He's not, he's not that short. He's.

• 13:57Lewis Howes?

  For us, he is.

• 13:58Speaker 01

  Yeah, we're tall, dude.

• 13:59Lewis Howes?

Yeah, I'm six four, you're six two, right?

• 14:01Speaker 01

Yeah, yeah, and he's, he's built, though.

• 14:03Lewis Howes?

Yeah, he's this little shredded dude, yeah, yeah.

• 14:04Speaker 01

  Strong.

• 14:05Lewis Howes?

  Yeah.

• 14:05Speaker 01

  Um.

• 14:06Lewis Howes?

So he's the most famous on Vine. How many followers does he have?

• 14:09Speaker 01

He's got like fourteen, fifteen million.

• 14:11Lewis Howes?

So double your size, is that almost?

• 14:13Speaker 01

Yeah, I'm, so I'm ranked, I'm ranked number six or seven right now.

• 14:16Lewis Howes?

  You don't do it anymore?

• 14:17Speaker 01

  What?

• 14:18Lewis Howes?

  You don't do Vine anymore?

• 14:19Speaker 01

  Not, no, man, never, just.

• 14:20Lewis Howes?

You're ranked six or seven and you don't even do it anymore?

• 14:22Speaker 01

No, so here's what I do. I make Facebook videos.

• 14:25Lewis Howes?

  Yes.

• 14:25Speaker 01

Uh, and then I will cut for Vine. So Facebook, one minute, solid. Then I'll cut for Instagram, fifteen seconds.

• 14:32Lewis Howes?

  Solid.

• 14:33Speaker 01

Then I'll cut for Vine. Yeah, bro.

• 14:35Lewis Howes?

So you're making Facebook videos, but you're leveraging on every platform.

• 14:38Speaker 01

Oh, yeah. Yeah, cuz Facebook, Facebook is, uh, I don't know, it's, it's a lot of fun, obviously.

• 14:43Lewis Howes?

  It gets more reach, too.

• 14:44Speaker 01

  Dude, the whole.

• 14:45Lewis Howes?

I mean, what, you have one on sixty-five million views right here.

• 14:47Speaker 01

  Yeah.

• 14:48Lewis Howes?

Six hundred and seventeen thousand shares.

• 14:50Speaker 01

  That's crazy.

• 14:51Lewis Howes?

It's freak, that's mutant level, dude.

• 14:53Speaker 01

Mutant level, and I'll get, I'll get one of those a month, man.

• 14:56Lewis Howes?

That's bigger than Kim Kardashian and all the Kardashians combined.

• 14:59Speaker 01

  Look, I don't, I don't, I don't.

• 15:00Lewis Howes?

I don't even know what that was, our, but it's insane. So what do you think? You know, when did you realize, okay, I'm gonna do this video? You had like a game plan from the beginning, like, I'm gonna get huge on this thing. Where you're like, I'm gonna do one every day, one a week, I'm gonna use all my talents and my personality, I'm gonna be.

• 15:16Speaker 01

  Here's the, uh.

• 15:17Lewis Howes?

  I'm gonna be the lowdown.

• 15:18Speaker 01

I should mention this. It's not like I just picked up the phone and started making videos and got lucky on this app. So I'd been making YouTube videos for. Ten years.

• 15:29Lewis Howes?

  Shut up.

• 15:30Speaker 01

Prior to Vine, yeah, with my little brother. Um, we were, our little, uh, channel was called Zouche. We called ourselves Zouche. I don't know what it means, but, uh, that was what we named ourselves. First video I ever uploaded was called Zouche Stunts.

• 15:45Lewis Howes?

  And?

• 15:45Speaker 01

  Uh.

• 15:46Lewis Howes?

  How did it do?

• 15:47Speaker 01

I mean, what, like eight views? But I went to school and I told all my friends, like, I'm gonna do the YouTube thing. And this was like OG YouTube.

• 15:54Lewis Howes?

  It's like two thousand what?

• 15:56Speaker 01

  This was.

• 15:57Lewis Howes?

  Six, seven?

• 15:57Speaker 01

Yeah, yeah. Uh, when did YouTube come out?

• 16:01Lewis Howes?

I think it came out in two thousand four, five.

• 16:03Speaker 01

  Okay, so.

• 16:03Lewis Howes?

When did it come out, Tim? I think I had one on two thousand five. I put my first video on there.

• 16:08Speaker 01

  Wow, yes.

• 16:08Lewis Howes?

Must've been like two thousand four.

• 16:09Speaker 01

It was still infancy stages and dude, I'm like, I'm a ten year old putting a video on the internet. Uh, like that, my parents are like, don't show your address, don't, don't say your last name.

• 16:22Lewis Howes?

  Right, right, right.

• 16:22Speaker 01

But they're like, but go do it. Just go.

• 16:24Lewis Howes?

  Oh, that's cool.

• 16:25Speaker 01

Do it, Logan. Yeah, and it's weird cuz like now it's like, okay, this is what I was meant to do. But back then it was like, I just like making videos.

• 16:33Lewis Howes?

  Ten years ago, yeah.

• 16:34Speaker 01

Yeah, dude, and I'm so glad they let me do it because now it's evolved into this great thing cuz they just let me go create with this aesthetic of putting something on a screen, which I inherently loved. It was, it's so weird. Like what a, what a weird thing, but.

• 16:51Lewis Howes?

Amazing, man. So, so what happened with the YouTube channel? You were doing it once a week, once, whenever you thought you wanted to?

• 16:56Speaker 01

Uh, it's once a week roughly. And then when we got to high school, things got a little bit busier, picked up. Um, we couldn't do it as often, but at least once a month.

• 17:04Lewis Howes?

  Right.

• 17:05Speaker 01

  Uh.

• 17:05Lewis Howes?

How big was your subscriber base before you got on Vine on YouTube?

• 17:09Speaker 01

  Four thousand.

• 17:10Lewis Howes?

  Shut up!

• 17:10Speaker 01

  Five hundred subscribers.

• 17:12Lewis Howes?

  Holy cow.

• 17:13Speaker 01

  Dude.

• 17:13Lewis Howes?

Like three years ago, this was four thousand five hundred.

• 17:15Speaker 01

  After ten years of work.

• 17:18Lewis Howes?

  Oh, my goodness.

• 17:19Speaker 01

  But.

• 17:19Lewis Howes?

Why did you keep doing it?

• 17:20Speaker 01

It was fun. I didn't do it to get famous. It was fun, man. Uh, and Vine was the same thing. Like, I started like, I'm gonna get Vine famous, but at the end of the day, like, I love, I love what I'm doing, yeah.

• 17:30Lewis Howes?

It was cool. It was fun. You enjoyed the process, coming up with ideas, right?

• 17:32Speaker 01

Exactly. And even now, it's like, I'm not, I'm not doing it, like, I already achieved the fame or whatever. Now I'm just doing it because it's fun, like.

• 17:41Lewis Howes?

  Yeah, yeah.

• 17:41Speaker 01

Um, and people seem to like it. So, yeah, man, I, I had logged my 10,000 hours before.

• 17:48Lewis Howes?

For sure. 10 years and, interesting.

• 17:50Speaker 01

So I picked up the phone and I knew like how to light, I knew how to direct, I knew what people thought was funny. Um.

• 17:55Lewis Howes?

And you saw what other was working already on Vine, so you're like, let me just kind of recreate the, there's probably like five different types of videos.

• 18:02Speaker 01

  There's, there's a formula, yeah.

• 18:03Lewis Howes?

So what is, what's the formula?

• 18:04Speaker 01

So, I mean, there's, like you said, there's multiple different types of videos you can create, but it's important that I found the double joke is, is what, what works a lot.

• 18:14Lewis Howes?

  Interesting. What is that?

• 18:16Speaker 01

The, the, there's the A joke. The video is funny in itself. Something about the, the video is entertaining and, and it keeps you hooked. But then the B joke at the end is like, the double punch, like, oh wow, I can't believe that happened. Like, okay.

• 18:29Lewis Howes?

Can you give me an example?

• 18:29Speaker 01

Yes. My most famous video, actually, which has to do with the Adweek cover, um, for those of you who have not seen it, which you probably haven't.

• 18:37Lewis Howes?

We'll have it linked up here and, and show people on the show notes as well, yeah.

• 18:39Speaker 01

Beautiful, beautiful. So I'm sitting on a pile of bananas.

• 18:42Lewis Howes?

  Yeah, it's hilarious.

• 18:42Speaker 01

It's called Top Banana, and I'm saluting. Like, if you haven't seen this video that I'm about to say, that, that would make no sense. So, my most famous video is of me walk, my brother in the beginning throws a banana peel behind his back, and I'm walking, and I slip on the banana peel. And I do a backflip to save myself from actually slipping, right? So it's A joke. Whoa, he just got a, did a backflip and got out of slipping. Well, that's awesome. And I was like.

• 19:09Lewis Howes?

This is in like two seconds.

• 19:10Speaker 01

Yeah, yeah. So this is the first, like, three and a half.

• 19:12Lewis Howes?

  Yeah.

• 19:13Speaker 01

And then I go to the camera like, oh, that was a close one. And like, not even finishing the sentence, I run into a trash can, right? So that's the B joke. It's like, originally it's, wow, that's cool, but then, ah, he's funny, slaps at comedy. Um, and that's what works, man. And.

• 19:28Lewis Howes?

  Two jokes.

• 19:29Speaker 01

Two jokes. I mean, there's, there's a. A lot of different stuff you can do on on the app, obviously, but some stuff works better than others.

• 19:35Lewis Howes?

The comedy stuff is the best.

• 19:36Speaker 01

Yeah, oh, yeah, yeah. So if you try to do like a serious video or like an inspirational video, unfortunately, yeah.

• 19:43Lewis Howes?

  Doesn't work as well.

• 19:43Speaker 01

Just not the platform for that.

• 19:45Lewis Howes?

Yeah, maybe like one person can make it work in some way.

• 19:47Speaker 01

Yeah, I mean, there are people who have cracked that, but it's it's just much harder. I, again, just got lucky, like being a goofy guy who knows how to do video.

• 19:57Lewis Howes?

And be able to do interesting tap dance.

• 19:59Speaker 01

  Yeah.

• 19:59Lewis Howes?

  Flips and splits and.

• 20:00Speaker 01

  Yeah, again, like.

• 20:01Lewis Howes?

  Quirky and.

• 20:02Speaker 01

  Weird stuff, man, that just.

• 20:03Lewis Howes?

  Put it all together.

• 20:04Speaker 01

  Worked out my life, yeah.

• 20:06Lewis Howes?

  Amazing, dude.

• 20:07Speaker 01

  Yeah.

• 20:07Lewis Howes?

Cause it wasn't really like, um, you know,

• 20:11Lewis Howes?

you don't go to school to like learn how to do this. There's no like, okay, you're gonna go to OU and they're gonna teach you how to do this. You had to kind of carve your path. Obviously, there were other internet celebrities who had done this before. So who are the bigger inspirations for you? Who were you like? Oh, that guy's doing it really well, or that girl, let me do this.

• 20:28Speaker 01

Funny, uh, King Batch, the guy we just mentioned, was like, I saw him getting famous and I was like, dude, this guy is great. I need to do this. Uh, this, the OG of Vine, Marcus Johns, because he's, I think he's like twenty one now and he's a kid my age and I was like, this kid's great. I I want to be like Marcus. Um, and then like way back when YouTube, like Smosh, you do you know the Smosh guys? They're like, they're really big on YouTube, one of the biggest channels and they're like one of the first YouTubers. That's why we called ourselves Zeus when I was younger, cause it's like, kinda sounded like Smosh and I was like, oh, we we wanna be like Smosh a little bit. Um, and then like Jenna Marbles was great. Yeah, dude, always been a fan of her, just like

• 21:13Speaker 01

the internet people that everyone knows and loves inspired me so much.

• 21:17Lewis Howes?

Crazy. So when you, when did you start? When was the first video where you're like, oh, that just like put my following count up like fifty thousand overnight?

• 21:25Speaker 01

Yeah, dude, there was not one of those for me, man. It's always been a consistent, steady growth. Like I've had the occasional that boosts me up more than others, but like there has not been one where it's like. Fifty K in a night.

• 21:39Lewis Howes?

It's not like overnight fame. It's just been like, everyone builds more and more and more.

• 21:44Speaker 01

  Yep.

• 21:44Lewis Howes?

Interesting, man. When did you realize like, oh, I can actually make money with this?

• 21:48Speaker 01

Yeah, so I think I was at eight hundred thousand followers and uh, this company reached out to me and said, hey, we want to pay you to put our phone case in in your video. And I emailed back. I was like, I'm sorry. Did you say you wanted to pay me money to make a video? I'm already making videos. Now you want to pay me?

• 22:05Lewis Howes?

They were brilliant. They got an early.

• 22:07Speaker 01

  Dude.

• 22:07Lewis Howes?

They got a crushed it with it.

• 22:10Speaker 01

  Yeah.

• 22:10Lewis Howes?

  How much did they charge?

• 22:11Speaker 01

  Dude.

• 22:12Lewis Howes?

  How much did you charge?

• 22:12Speaker 01

  I charged.

• 22:13Lewis Howes?

  Like five hundred bucks maybe?

• 22:14Speaker 01

I think it was a thousand.

• 22:16Lewis Howes?

And they were like, we just got the jackpot.

• 22:18Speaker 01

Dude, and like, the video was great too. People loved it. Seriously, man. And then Ubisoft reached out to me. Um, they had the game Just Dance twenty fourteen.

• 22:30Lewis Howes?

  Which was perfect for you.

• 22:31Speaker 01

  Dude.

• 22:31Lewis Howes?

  Quirky big dancing dude.

• 22:33Speaker 01

Yep. So I was at a million followers. They paid me a thousand dollars again. I was like, oh, it's Ubisoft. I can I can lower my rates. My rates, like now I have rates, right? Like, I bet two weeks ago I didn't have rates. Now I'm finding out I can make money. I have them. But uh, it is to this day, the most popular branded Vine on the platform.

• 22:55Lewis Howes?

  Uh, they're still getting.

• 22:56Speaker 01

  My boy, this.

• 22:57Lewis Howes?

  Sales and downloads.

• 22:58Speaker 01

  Million plus views.

• 23:00Lewis Howes?

  What a jackpot.

• 23:01Speaker 01

For a thousand dollars. I messed up.

• 23:04Lewis Howes?

  Oh, man.

• 23:05Speaker 01

But I will say, it opened up the doors of branding for me in the future. Cause now it's like, hey, look what I did. You want that?

• 23:11Lewis Howes?

  Right, right, right.

• 23:12Speaker 01

Oh, yeah, we do want that.

• 23:13Lewis Howes?

  You're like, here's my rate.

• 23:14Speaker 01

  Yeah, yeah.

• 23:15Lewis Howes?

So you're allowed to say what your rates are now, or is that more under the?

• 23:19Speaker 01

No, yeah, it's just probably under the rest.

• 23:21Lewis Howes?

What are, let's talk about what some viners are making. Like with the top ten guys, what or girls, what do you, what do you see them charging in general? Cause I think that information's out there, right?

• 23:30Speaker 01

  Yeah, so look.

• 23:32Lewis Howes?

You don't have to say your specific number.

• 23:33Speaker 01

It's, it's, it's known that kids my age are getting six figure brand deals.

• 23:38Lewis Howes?

  For one video?

• 23:39Speaker 01

  Nah, the.

• 23:40Lewis Howes?

  Multiple videos.

• 23:41Speaker 01

There are campaigns. Yeah, yeah, yeah. There there are campaigns of my campaigns.

• 23:43Lewis Howes?

  Three to five video campaigns.

• 23:45Speaker 01

  Yeah, yeah, yeah.

• 23:46Lewis Howes?

For a hundred grand, are we talking multiple six figures in those six?

• 23:49Speaker 01

Usually between a hundred and two hundred K. No, I mean, some people have, obviously, but like, the two hundred to five hundred thousand brand deals are are undiscovered territory right now.

• 23:58Lewis Howes?

  Right, right.

• 23:59Speaker 01

Um, and dude, it's crazy. Cause kids are becoming millionaires off of this applicant, like nineteen year old kids.

• 24:04Lewis Howes?

  Stupid.

• 24:05Speaker 01

Dude. I don't really know what's going on.

• 24:07Lewis Howes?

  Stupid money.

• 24:08Speaker 01

  Yeah.

• 24:09Lewis Howes?

Okay, and so what is, uh, what's your ratio for free unbranded content to branded content? Like, is it, and how often are you posting right now?

• 24:19Speaker 01

  Yeah.

• 24:19Lewis Howes?

On Facebook and then in the breakdown?

• 24:21Speaker 01

So it's funny, our, our motto around the Vine house is, uh...

• 24:26Lewis Howes?

Cause you live in a house with like fifteen viners, right? Let's tell the story.

• 24:28Speaker 01

Okay, so my, uh, my, my apartment complex.

• 24:31Lewis Howes?

  It's in Hollywood, right?

• 24:32Speaker 01

It's, it's on Hollywood and Vine Street.

• 24:35Lewis Howes?

We won't say the exact address, but I'm sure everyone sees it.

• 24:37Speaker 01

  Dude, it's on Vine Street.

• 24:39Lewis Howes?

  That's hilarious.

• 24:39Speaker 01

Why? How did this happen to me?

• 24:42Lewis Howes?

  That's hilarious, man.

• 24:43Speaker 01

But there's eighteen viners that live in this complex.

• 24:46Lewis Howes?

  Oh my goodness.

• 24:47Speaker 01

Dude, I feel bad, so bad for everyone who's just trying to live their life, yeah.

• 24:51Lewis Howes?

It's like, there's always video cameras and craziness in the hallway.

• 24:54Speaker 01

These poor people, but, uh, yeah, man, there's, kids are going ham and cheese on this, on the app and making bank. Um, but yeah, it's nuts. What was your question?

• 25:06Lewis Howes?

So the original question was, uh, what's like your model now? Like, okay, every, every two weeks it's free content and then I'm gonna brand a deal.

• 25:14Speaker 01

So, look, I don't, I don't, I don't try to stay away from branded content, uh, cause it's how I make money. But then again, like, I've always, rule number one for me, money ain't a thing. So just live life the way you want it to and just like, stuff will happen. Um, so I'm not like scouring for brands to pay me money. If one comes to me that aligns with my objectives and my goals and our brands are very similar. I E. I just did one with, uh, let me think of one I did recently. I just did one with Dunkin' Donuts, for example.

• 25:48Lewis Howes?

I saw that one when you were running down the street?

• 25:49Speaker 01

Yeah, yeah, dude, that, that wasn't even with them. That wasn't even a brand.

• 25:53Lewis Howes?

Oh, that was just a free one?

• 25:54Speaker 01

Dude, I love Dunkin' Donuts. I love them and, and everyone knows that. I think a lot of people love Dunkin' Donuts. Um, and when they reached out to me, I was like, yeah, let's do this.

• 26:01Lewis Howes?

  Absolutely.

• 26:02Speaker 01

  Yeah, so I did.

• 26:03Lewis Howes?

Do I get free donuts for life, too?

• 26:04Speaker 01

Dude, I, I always ask. It's like, it's not a thing, apparently, but, uh... So I I did the original campaign and then the video that you just mentioned like that wasn't they didn't even pay me for that it's just like yo I I like you guys I liked working for you. And it just so I don't mind putting you in my video but typically. The the motto in the Vine complex is hashtag no free brand deals. So like if I'm wearing a shirt with a logo on it.

• 26:28Lewis Howes?

  Turn these around.

• 26:29Speaker 01

Exactly, exactly. Turn the water bottles around. But so if I'm wearing a shirt with a logo on it. In my video like I'll I'll change before everything, everything is covered, taped.

• 26:39Lewis Howes?

Or you just wear a plain shirt like.

• 26:40Speaker 01

Plain shirts have become my best friend.

• 26:42Lewis Howes?

Of course, I'm like the black V.

• 26:44Speaker 01

  Dude, yes, oh yes.

• 26:46Lewis Howes?

Every day, black V. Um, interesting. So how many would you say on average a month, brand deals do you take? You only need one or two a month, it sounds like at that level.

• 26:55Speaker 01

That's it. If if even that, yeah, I don't.

• 26:58Lewis Howes?

Once every couple of months, you're still paying your bills for the year.

• 27:01Speaker 01

Exactly, exactly, man. And like. Yeah, we I it's important not to over saturate your your audience with, hey, branded content, branded content. And then even the brands will get mad like, yo, like, do you really like our brand? Like, you just you promoted another one a week ago.

• 27:18Lewis Howes?

  Right.

• 27:20Lewis Howes?

So you're gonna select maybe six to 12 a year, it sounds like, like high quality, top brand deals.

• 27:26Speaker 01

Yeah, yeah, this this year is probably gonna be even less, probably like five to eight brands, if if even that. And it's also important to to make them all. Different aspects of life, right? So if I do like.

• 27:38Lewis Howes?

Five clothing line, or clothing brands, right?

• 27:40Speaker 01

Yeah, yeah, yeah. So I'll do like oral hygiene, then I'll do like a clothing brand. And then I'll do like a snack brand.

• 27:47Lewis Howes?

  Sports drink or something.

• 27:48Speaker 01

Yeah, yeah, something is very what you're doing. Because if you do two different shoe brands, again, you piss off the brand, you piss off the people.

• 27:54Lewis Howes?

  Yeah.

• 27:55Speaker 01

  What do they buy? Yeah.

• 27:57Lewis Howes?

Interesting. Yeah, that's interesting also for. People who are listening who do have their own brands or companies is just to create awesome brands in the first place that people want to promote no matter what, even for free like you did.

• 28:08Speaker 01

  Dude, there's.

• 28:09Lewis Howes?

  Create great products.

• 28:10Speaker 01

There are so many brands out there that are getting free promotion and it's just like.

• 28:15Lewis Howes?

  Just because people love them.

• 28:17Speaker 01

  I E Netflix and chill.

• 28:18Lewis Howes?

  Right.

• 28:19Speaker 01

Dude, this saying has become so popular.

• 28:21Lewis Howes?

In the Vine world too, especially.

• 28:23Speaker 01

Everywhere. It blew up on Vine. Pretty much like a lot of pop culture you see nowadays is like. Really intensified by Vine. I like some of the biggest songs now have have blown up on Vine. I'm in love with the Coco started on Vine. Um, and like Netflix and chill Vine made it like a thing.

• 28:41Lewis Howes?

It's crazy, man. So probably the subscriber base probably just going through the roof.

• 28:44Speaker 01

I'm saying every now everyone knows Netflix, even if you don't know what Netflix is.

• 28:47Lewis Howes?

If you're like a 12 year old, you know what I mean?

• 28:49Speaker 01

  Yeah, now you know.

• 28:50Lewis Howes?

Crazy. So create a great brand, essentially, if you're gonna build something.

• 28:54Speaker 01

Yeah, yeah, yeah. And especially a brand that has viral potential or there's some kind of play like that. Like there, there is no red viral button, but Netflix and chill.

• 29:04Lewis Howes?

  Unless you're Logan Paul.

• 29:05Speaker 01

Unless, hey, uh, but like Netflix and chill was just a great marketing tactic. And now they're pouncing on it and they're like, yeah, we do that Netflix and chill.

• 29:15Lewis Howes?

And they're not paying anyone to talk about it.

• 29:17Speaker 01

  Not a single person.

• 29:18Lewis Howes?

It's incredible, man. So how has Snapchat changed the game for you? And are you heavily involved in Snapchat? I mean, I just started getting in about six months ago and I'm getting addictive.

• 29:29Speaker 01

  Yeah, yeah.

• 29:30Lewis Howes?

Um, and I'm seeing the most incredible engagement from my audience through there more than any other platform. Um, I don't know how that's working for you or what you're seeing. Are you doing more on Snapchat or what?

• 29:43Speaker 01

I'm always trying to think ahead of the, ahead of the game.

• 29:46Lewis Howes?

  Going where the puck's going.

• 29:47Speaker 01

Dude, that's why I'm on Facebook right now. I'm, I'm the biggest personality on, on the platform right now.

• 29:54Lewis Howes?

  Wow.

• 29:54Speaker 01

Um, and like YouTubers specifically, there's like YouTubers and Vine-ers, there's like clicks. But like a lot of people are late to jump on it. Uh, and I'm, I'm again lucky enough to have realized that this platform is huge. And I'm gonna be at 12 million before anyone's like, oh, wow, you can get famous on it?

• 30:12Lewis Howes?

Cause a lot of YouTubers are just staying with YouTube. They're not expanding to Facebook.

• 30:16Speaker 01

Yeah, which I get it, but I, I've like, I've always thought it's the smartest thing to grow different fanbases on different platforms.

• 30:23Lewis Howes?

Cause you never know when one's gonna die out also. Vine could be dead or something.

• 30:26Speaker 01

Dude, which happens with social media all the time.

• 30:29Lewis Howes?

  Yeah.

• 30:29Speaker 01

Like you, you have to be cognizant.

• 30:31Lewis Howes?

Do you remember, do you remember the site Daily Booth?

• 30:34Speaker 01

  No.

• 30:34Lewis Howes?

This was like before Instagram, we posted a photo a day.

• 30:37Speaker 01

  Oh my gosh.

• 30:37Lewis Howes?

  It was like just a.

• 30:40Speaker 01

I wonder if Instagram was inspired by.

• 30:42Lewis Howes?

  It might have been, yeah.

• 30:43Speaker 01

Well, Instagram sold for four billion dollars, so he did something wrong, dude.

• 30:47Lewis Howes?

  Interesting, anyways.

• 30:48Speaker 01

  But yeah, so.

• 30:49Lewis Howes?

  You've always been branching out.

• 30:50Speaker 01

Yeah, so I was the first viner to go on Snapchat publicly.

• 30:56Lewis Howes?

  Really?

• 30:56Speaker 01

  Dude.

• 30:57Lewis Howes?

  When was this?

• 30:57Speaker 01

The OG, this was again, like, it was right when stories became a thing, because stories are now like what people are following. Before, it's like, if I told people to add me, like, I'd have to open and respond to each person individually. Now, the story is, I had a meeting with Snapchat, and I was like, yeah, I wish, I wish, like, my fans could, like, add me and see my stuff. They're like, they can, just make your story public. And I was like, oh, my god. So again, by the time any viner or internet person, even for that matter, knew that this was going on, I had a, had a hundred thousand opens.

• 31:29Lewis Howes?

  Oh, my gosh.

• 31:30Speaker 01

  Yeah, and, and.

• 31:32Lewis Howes?

Now, DJ Khaled is just, like, crushing.

• 31:34Speaker 01

Dude, this guy is the king.

• 31:36Lewis Howes?

  Crushing it, dude. It's unbelievable.

• 31:38Speaker 01

  He's like.

• 31:40Lewis Howes?

  It's amazing what he's created.

• 31:41Speaker 01

What I love about it most is that, again, smart Snapchat, the brand, the platform, is like fostering his growth. They bring him in, they're making filters for him.

• 31:52Lewis Howes?

  It's insane.

• 31:52Speaker 01

They're hopping on it, they're hopping on the train just because they want to keep their platform relevant, and it's so smart, it's so smart.

• 31:57Lewis Howes?

That's amazing. Are they doing that for you as well, like, creating, like, filters?

• 32:00Speaker 01

No, no, no, I, not yet. I, that'd be awesome.

• 32:03Lewis Howes?

Are you allowed to share what, what open rate?

• 32:05Speaker 01

Yeah, yeah, so I get about half a million opens. I think the most I've ever gotten was, like, seven hundred and fifty thousand.

• 32:12Lewis Howes?

  Incredible, dude.

• 32:13Speaker 01

But, uh, yeah, yeah, yeah, half a million consistently. It's, it is incredible, yeah, and I don't.

• 32:20Lewis Howes?

What's more powerful for you, a half a million Snapchat views, or ten million views on a Facebook video?

• 32:28Speaker 01

  Hmm.

• 32:30Speaker 01

I guess it depends what I'm trying to do. I probably, probably Facebook, I wanna say. Um, cuz here's the thing, if I get, so I get half a million opens like every day. So they're used to it.

• 32:44Lewis Howes?

  On Snapchat.

• 32:45Speaker 01

Yeah, yeah, and they're, they're, they're used to it. They'll, if I like say, hey, go download an app, they'll do it. Uh, but Facebook, if I get a video that's 10 million views, that's like, sort of, kind of viral and a lot of people, that's a lot of people, man. That's, that's.

• 32:59Lewis Howes?

Most people, a lot of people.

• 33:00Speaker 01

  Yeah, so.

• 33:03Speaker 01

That's, what is it, 20 times? Yeah, so 20 times.

• 33:06Lewis Howes?

  Let's say it's a million and a million.

• 33:07Speaker 01

  Yeah.

• 33:08Lewis Howes?

  What's more powerful?

• 33:09Speaker 01

  Then probably Snapchat.

• 33:10Lewis Howes?

  Why for you?

• 33:11Speaker 01

Um. I used to say this, so Snapchat views usually typically are the most valuable view because people have to scroll to your, they have to type in your name and say, hey, I wanna watch L O G A N P A U L. They have to type it in, at me, and then to watch my stuff, they have to tap it. And you used to have to hold it. So Snapchat view is the most, if, if people are watching, they are watching.

• 33:36Lewis Howes?

  Addicted.

• 33:36Speaker 01

They are, their thumb is on the screen, they're holding it. Now, now you just tap it.

• 33:40Lewis Howes?

  It was annoying.

• 33:41Speaker 01

I know, it was annoying. But, uh, now, yeah, now they just tap the screen and uh, you know that people are invested in your content. Um.

• 33:48Lewis Howes?

  It's amazing.

• 33:49Speaker 01

  Yeah.

• 33:49Lewis Howes?

And when you create a call to action on Snapchat over Facebook, you'll get more, um, conversions on Snapchat or if you're like, hey, download this app or watch this thing, more people will take action. But how much more do you think? Uh, 10x?

• 34:03Speaker 01

  Yes.

• 34:03Lewis Howes?

  If it's equal views?

• 34:04Speaker 01

  At least.

• 34:05Lewis Howes?

  10, 20x.

• 34:05Speaker 01

Yeah, because these people, 500,000 people think I'm interesting enough to watch every single day. And so they clearly have some sort of affinity for me, which is great. Uh, and I'm glad I get to entertain them. But, uh, yeah, they, if I say, go, go do this, go, go tweet at DJ Khalid, like, let's go make a Snapchat story. Just get eyeballs and they'll do it just cuz they're like, we love Logan.

• 34:31Lewis Howes?

  Wow.

• 34:31Speaker 01

  We love Logan.

• 34:35Lewis Howes?

• 36:20Lewis Howes?

So what's the next plan? Have you ever thought about doing a podcast? There's a lot of the YouTube personalities.

• 36:24Speaker 01

Dude, a lot of them are doing it.

• 36:25Lewis Howes?

They're doing it, Grace and all these other people are doing it. I know I just, Dean, she's been on here, she's, I think, starting one soon.

• 36:32Speaker 01

  Yeah. Dude.

• 36:34Lewis Howes?

  You'd be a great on a podcast.

• 36:36Speaker 01

Hey, thank you, man. I don't know, there's so many social medias out there.

• 36:42Lewis Howes?

  So many.

• 36:43Speaker 01

Like. It's already so hard to keep up with and it's sort of overwhelming. Um, I may, I may not, I don't know the benefits. I don't know, I don't even know how to do it. I'm, you put this headset on me and it's connected to a box, but like,

• 36:58Lewis Howes?

  It's connected to here.

• 36:59Speaker 01

  Yeah.

• 36:59Lewis Howes?

And I'm just using, I'm recording on a free software called Audacity. And then I export it. I give it to my editor. She edits it up and puts it up on the podcast and on iTunes.

• 37:08Speaker 01

  Hmm. See, man, that's,

• 37:10Lewis Howes?

  It's pretty simple.

• 37:11Speaker 01

  Yeah. Yeah.

• 37:13Lewis Howes?

What you need to do is not worry about the technical aspects yourself. Focus on being the talent, recording the content, bringing on your YouTube or Vine guest stars.

• 37:22Speaker 01

  Yeah.

• 37:22Lewis Howes?

And then give me to someone. I'm happy to set you up with, you know, this all this afterwards.

• 37:27Speaker 01

That'd be, that'd be really cool, man.

• 37:28Lewis Howes?

  Make it easy as possible.

• 37:29Speaker 01

Yeah. Hey, thank you, dude. Thank you.

• 37:31Lewis Howes?

See, don't the stress out of it.

• 37:31Speaker 01

  Yeah, yeah, yeah.

• 37:32Lewis Howes?

So what's the next platform for you? What are you interested in? What do you see as like, okay, where's the puck going?

• 37:37Speaker 01

Yeah. So for me, man, it's off digital, off digital. Yeah. Traditional media.

• 37:43Lewis Howes?

  Tell me more.

• 37:44Speaker 01

Uh, TV, film. That's the stuff I'm into, man. Like I've, I've written two movies by myself. One of them, my bad, one movie by myself. The other I wrote with some other writers. Uh, just got financed. It's called Airplane Mode. It is a movie. Okay. This is gonna be nuts.

• 38:03Lewis Howes?

  Tell me.

• 38:04Speaker 01

We wanted, we wanted to make the airplane mode of this generation. Okay? So we're gonna take 20 to 25 of the biggest social media stars on the planet.

• 38:15Lewis Howes?

  Oh, my gosh.

• 38:16Speaker 01

Shove them all in an aircraft.

• 38:17Lewis Howes?

  No.

• 38:18Speaker 01

And, uh, when the flight attendant says, hey, put your phone, phones on airplane mode.

• 38:23Lewis Howes?

What are people gonna, they're not gonna be looking down anymore.

• 38:25Speaker 01

No one does it. No one does. These are kids who live in the high off their cell phone. So, so we've,

• 38:29Lewis Howes?

Until the, until the wifi goes out.

• 38:31Speaker 01

  Until,

• 38:32Lewis Howes?

Until they're like 3,000 feet up, then it goes off.

• 38:35Speaker 01

Yep. Uh, because there's extreme cellular interference and, uh, the plane malfunctions.

• 38:41Lewis Howes?

  So you're,

• 38:42Speaker 01

  What happens next?

• 38:42Lewis Howes?

It's okay. So you're gonna create this experience. So it's gonna be like a documentary. It's gonna be a scripted.

• 38:46Speaker 01

  It's a scripted, it's a scripted, it's gonna, dude, it is,

• 38:49Lewis Howes?

Wow, this is gonna be huge.

• 38:50Speaker 01

It is going, it's built an audience of 300 million people. All my friends are in it. All my social media friends are in it. Um, and yeah, so we're gonna be ramping up production on that. Probably in the next week. You're gonna rent out of your own jet. Yeah, so we're actually going to a studio called Air Hollywood. It's that's a jet on the floor. Yeah. Right. Yeah, so, yeah, yeah, yeah, dude, this movie is gonna be outrageous. You should get one of the airlines to be the sponsor. So the we we thought about it, don't get me wrong, but the aircraft blows up.

• 39:27Speaker 01

Oh. Kind of thing like. So you can't do that. Keith Delta Airlines would be like, yeah, probably probably not gonna do that for our brand, but no, it doesn't blow up it, but the plane malfunctions and like starts going down and so like no aircraft. No. Brand is gonna do that, but we thought about it, we thought about it, um. Okay, so tell me the premise, are you allowed to tell me the premise or what can you tell me? Other than what I just said, man, to be honest, all right, so. Don't spoil the under. I I I won't, I won't, but basically, yeah, there's a there's a convention in Australia for social media kids. Uh, we all end up going on the same flight and we're all like we like I said, us living in that apartment complex is insane. So imagine us in an airplane like with regular people trying to just fly like. Just go to read a book. It's out of control, dude, so just chaos amongst the aircraft.

• 40:13Speaker 01

The plane experiences this this technical difficulty. Because everyone's. Because everyone's going. Blowing up the internet. Everyone's going ham and cheese and uh it's my character's duty to save the day. Even though flying. Ohio hero, baby. Yeah, baby, always, always, so, yeah. When is this production start and when are you hoping that'll come out? I'm hoping we shoot in April, I'm hoping it comes out by the end of the year. This year? Yeah. In movies or online or on theaters, I mean, or? Uh, I would love it. Netflix and chill or? Netflix and dude, it's gonna be on Netflix, people are gonna chill when they watch it for sure. Uh, I would love for it to go to theaters, it's probably gonna be a limited theater theatrical release with a a digital release as the main. Sure.

• 40:57Speaker 01

Thing, um, because that's just where we're strongest, I all my friends just pushing to this one iTunes link to go buy this if it's on iTunes. That'd be huge. Yeah. Yeah, man. Um, so yeah, the movie, the movie front, those are two that I've written again, just created. And then acting, so I take two acting classes every week.

• 41:15Lewis Howes?

  Which class or which?

• 41:17Speaker 01

  Anthony Mendel's Acting Studio. Yeah.

• 41:20Lewis Howes?

  Is that in Studio City?

• 41:21Speaker 01

It's great. No, no, it's in West Hollywood. Actually, yeah, it's near here. Yeah, yeah.

• 41:27Lewis Howes?

And are you enjoying that process?

• 41:28Speaker 01

Dude, I love it, man. I love it so much.

• 41:30Lewis Howes?

What do you love about the acting class the most?

• 41:32Speaker 01

I like how, I like how it's opened me up, dude. Like from, being from Ohio, like you know this, like if, if you cry, like, it's.

• 41:41Lewis Howes?

It's like down or you're like weak, you're like not a man.

• 41:42Speaker 01

  You're weak. You're not a man, like.

• 41:44Lewis Howes?

It's like, stop being a wussy.

• 41:46Speaker 01

Exactly. And my dad was never like, he, he never told me like, don't cry, don't be a man.

• 41:51Lewis Howes?

But every wrestler and football player you played with.

• 41:53Speaker 01

  I couldn't. I could, every, every.

• 41:55Lewis Howes?

  You can't be emotional.

• 41:55Speaker 01

Every guy that I was ever with, like, you can't cry. And then like, even me, it's like, I don't want to cry in front of my dad. I want to, I want to be a man like my friends are telling me to do. So I, I would always just kind of like, close off, whatever. But LA is just opening me up, man. And like.

• 42:10Lewis Howes?

It's so open and vulnerable, right? It's amazing.

• 42:12Speaker 01

Vulnerable, being just like, open to the, living in the moment. And it's, it's, it's beautiful, man. And the studio like, really focuses on just like, just living, stop, stop judgments about like what other people think, just like, just go, dude, just live. Yeah. And it's, it's opened me up in that way, which has obviously helped with acting. Cause now when I'm doing it, it's like when I'm in a scene and I.

• 42:36Lewis Howes?

You're not in your head, you're allowed to be in your heart and really.

• 42:38Speaker 01

  I'm just living, yeah.

• 42:40Lewis Howes?

Amazing, man. That's cool. It's good to hear.

• 42:41Speaker 01

It's really, it's really cool, man. Um, and so, yeah, acting stuff has been going great. I just, I just actually finished my first movie, uh, before the break, or first movie that I was the lead in. I did three movies last year. They're all coming out this year. Um, first movie.

• 42:57Lewis Howes?

  Like in, in theaters or?

• 42:59Speaker 01

Again, this, so this one's probably gonna be a limited theatrical release. I mean, who knows?

• 43:05Lewis Howes?

  Yeah.

• 43:06Speaker 01

But, uh, that is my guess. Just cause again, my, my power is on the internet. And then my co-star also has like fourteen million followers. She's a Disney star.

• 43:15Lewis Howes?

  Wow.

• 43:15Speaker 01

Uh, so we're just gonna drive people to this link, but, um, yeah, it's called The Thinning. It's about population control in two thousand thirty-nine. So it's a futuristic movie. Very cool. It's a dystopian thriller, like Hunger, Hunger Games, that version type of stuff. Um, basically the premise is, uh, in two thousand, two thousand thirty-nine, the world's overpopulated, resources depleted.

• 43:36Speaker 01

Et cetera. So the United Nations issues a mandate that each country has to cut their population by 10%. China.

• 43:45Lewis Howes?

  By just killing people.

• 43:46Speaker 01

So essentially, yeah, so it's China has to limit each family to one, one child. Now they.

• 43:54Lewis Howes?

  You have to choose?

• 43:55Speaker 01

So like, if you have four, like, sorry, like, get rid of three somehow. Russia, dude, it's bad.

• 44:01Lewis Howes?

  Somehow.

• 44:02Speaker 01

Russia eliminates everyone over 60. Like, sorry, you're no longer. In order to stay competitive, the United States issues a standardized test and the lowering scores.

• 44:13Lewis Howes?

  I'd be dead.

• 44:14Speaker 01

The lowest, dude, you would have been dead, man. The lowest scoring 10th percentile gets killed off.

• 44:18Lewis Howes?

  I'm dead.

• 44:19Speaker 01

Yeah, cuz dude, everyone's just a genius.

• 44:22Lewis Howes?

  I'm going to Canada.

• 44:24Speaker 01

  I'm going to, dude.

• 44:25Lewis Howes?

  Go to Mexico.

• 44:26Speaker 01

Dude, I hope they have a better system, but yeah, that's, that's what happens in the United States. And um, me and my co-star kind of discovered that this whole, I mean, it's wrong. Clearly, this is wrong. It's not cool. We discovered that this whole system is just a bunch of smoke and mirrors. And there's like, uh, underlying motives and people are like, buying kids' lives, pretty much. And so we work to expose this conspiracy and uh,

• 44:50Lewis Howes?

  Interesting.

• 44:50Speaker 01

  Some stuff happens along.

• 44:52Lewis Howes?

This is like a big, this is like a big role, it sounds like.

• 44:54Speaker 01

It is, yeah, dude. I lost 15 pounds for it. And then on my, on the day of my shirtless scene, I lost another eight. Uh, I did acting classes before. I took an acting coach. We, we rehearsed a bunch of times.

• 45:07Lewis Howes?

All your scenes just over and over, perfecting them.

• 45:10Speaker 01

Yeah, um, so yeah, dude, it's my first film and I've been out here for a year. I'll, I'll take it.

• 45:17Lewis Howes?

  It's huge.

• 45:17Speaker 01

  I'll take it.

• 45:18Lewis Howes?

People come out for 10 years and don't get anything. Struggling.

• 45:21Speaker 01

Yeah, I got, I got lucky. And so this, this film's gonna come out and it's gonna, A, showcase my acting ability. Cause no one, no one's really seen it. They've seen internet acting. It's much different. It's very, it's much. The character in the movie is, is not Logan Paul. It's like, the guy's name is Blake Redding. And it is not me. It's like, I.

• 45:39Lewis Howes?

You had to become someone else.

• 45:41Speaker 01

So, yeah, like, it's not a super funny movie. I'm, I'm funny on the internet.

• 45:46Lewis Howes?

What if people don't like that, like what you can do, that's not you?

• 45:49Speaker 01

So when I was on Law and Order, I was actually the bad guy in the, in like.

• 45:54Lewis Howes?

And online, you're the funny, lovable guy, right?

• 45:57Speaker 01

Yeah, so it's like, I was the bad guy and people were like, Logan, what are you, what are you doing? Why did you take this role, blah, blah? But it's like, hey, like, guys, I'm an actor, like, this is what I do, like, I can, I can delve into these different characters. And I think, I think people will like it, because this guy's not a bad guy, he's just quiet, focused, determined, and he's a badass.

• 46:16Lewis Howes?

  That's cool, man.

• 46:16Speaker 01

  Which, like, everyone loves.

• 46:17Lewis Howes?

Have you already seen the movie, or?

• 46:18Speaker 01

Dude, I've seen zero footage, I am so excited.

• 46:21Lewis Howes?

  Are you nervous?

• 46:23Speaker 01

I don't know, I, I trusted the director, thank God, because I've had projects where, um, everything's sort of iffy and like, I, I don't know if I like, trust your judgment, whatever, but the, the director on this one, who was also the writer, knew exactly what he wanted every time, and he would give me the best notes, so I trusted him, and I was able to just be the character. So honestly, I'm not nervous, man, and, and it's produced by Legendary, who, who did, like, Batman, Godzilla, yes.

• 46:47Lewis Howes?

Oh, it's huge, Batman is still, of course.

• 46:49Speaker 01

So like, Legendary doesn't joke around, man, like, the movie's gonna be good.

• 46:54Lewis Howes?

Yeah, that's big, man, Scooter, do you know Scooter Braun?

• 46:56Speaker 01

  Of course.

• 46:56Lewis Howes?

He's been on here before, and, uh, he has some type of partnership, I think, with Legendary, so he's always talking about

• 47:02Speaker 01

  Yeah.

• 47:02Lewis Howes?

  how great that.

• 47:03Speaker 01

  It's great, dude, they're, they're amazing.

• 47:05Lewis Howes?

  That's huge.

• 47:05Speaker 01

They took me to dinner the other night, steak dinner with my boys.

• 47:08Lewis Howes?

  Amazing.

• 47:08Speaker 01

Yeah, like, celebration of the movie, let's go out, so, yeah, that.

• 47:11Lewis Howes?

  Well, when's that come out?

• 47:12Speaker 01

  Uh, hopefully May.

• 47:14Lewis Howes?

  This year.

• 47:14Speaker 01

I get to see a cut April 3rd.

• 47:16Lewis Howes?

Dude, I gotta go to the premiere, man, I'm excited.

• 47:17Speaker 01

My boy, dude, I'll invite you, seriously, man.

• 47:19Lewis Howes?

  For the Ohio boys.

• 47:20Speaker 01

Dude, yes, yes, I'm inviting everyone, dude, um, but yeah.

• 47:24Lewis Howes?

  That'll be great.

• 47:25Speaker 01

  Very excited.

• 47:25Lewis Howes?

  Congrats on that.

• 47:26Speaker 01

  Thank you.

• 47:27Lewis Howes?

I'm curious, what's your routine like out here? What's your morning routine in terms of, do you have a ritual every morning, or is it just kind of wake up and see what happens today? Do you have a meditation practice? Do you have a workout practice? Do you have a journaling practice, or anything that you're like, I must do this every day, because it's gonna heighten my mental capacity, my energy, my focus?

• 47:49Speaker 01

So, uh, I should meditate, let me start by saying that, I should, I'm going to start, I haven't yet, but like, this is on the agenda, this is important. Even though I don't do it, people should.

• 47:59Lewis Howes?

  Yeah.

• 47:59Speaker 01

Uh, to be honest, man, my days. Are very different. They can be like, if I want to film today, like I'll go ahead and film. If I want to just take a bunch of meetings and, and work. Quote unquote, work. I'll, I will edit videos. But the stuff that I make sure to do every day, uh, workout. I think it's important not only to, to look good, obviously, but, um, something about working out and pushing yourself, the, the way I do is like, it, it takes you to another level. So when, when I'm on set and like something's sort of hard-ish.

• 48:35Lewis Howes?

You're like, I've already been through this every day.

• 48:36Speaker 01

I've been through it every day. Like dude, I was doing the scene in the thinning where, um, I had to drown. I don't know if you know this, if you breathe in and then try to sink, you don't sink. Okay. So, yeah, you float.

• 48:50Lewis Howes?

So you have to push all the air out.

• 48:51Speaker 01

You have to push the air out. They put weights on me.

• 48:53Lewis Howes?

  Oh my gosh.

• 48:54Speaker 01

And I'm sinking. So I have no air in my lungs and it's dude, it's not like a six foot pool. It's a 12 foot pool. So like,

• 48:59Lewis Howes?

  terrifying.

• 49:00Speaker 01

  Dude, it was.

• 49:01Lewis Howes?

  That's so scary.

• 49:02Speaker 01

It was one of the hardest things I've ever done. And I'm like, I'm very mentally strong, man. But during this, I'm like, why is this so hard for me?

• 49:09Lewis Howes?

  It's challenging, man.

• 49:10Speaker 01

Uh, it's all a mental thing, but like, again, it's just like, I'm, I'm used to pushing myself. So I was able to do it, but it was, it was just difficult. Um,

• 49:17Lewis Howes?

  I can imagine.

• 49:18Speaker 01

  But.

• 49:18Lewis Howes?

But most people who aren't athletes and don't go through the daily pain and stress that we've gone through.

• 49:23Speaker 01

  Yeah.

• 49:23Lewis Howes?

  They can't handle that.

• 49:25Speaker 01

Dude, it's like, I, yeah, that's what like, you know.

• 49:28Lewis Howes?

Even we, you know, you couldn't handle it already going through it, but it was like even more challenging.

• 49:32Speaker 01

  Yeah.

• 49:32Lewis Howes?

That's what you feel like that gives you an edge, being an athlete or being an athlete.

• 49:35Speaker 01

100%. So yeah, another thing they, um, yeah. Just everything, mental, physical, but the, so they brought stunt doubles for me. And I was like, guys, like, I don't.

• 49:44Lewis Howes?

  I could do this.

• 49:45Speaker 01

Doing my own stuff. They're like, okay, let's, let's see what you got. And.

• 49:47Lewis Howes?

These are like trained breathers underwater.

• 49:49Speaker 01

  Dude, seriously, seriously. And.

• 49:51Lewis Howes?

  Breath holders.

• 49:52Speaker 01

They had the trained breath holders, but, uh, no, this was for a fight scene.

• 49:56Lewis Howes?

  Okay.

• 49:56Speaker 01

And, uh, they're like, all right, like, let's see what you got. And.

• 49:59Lewis Howes?

  You're like, I know karate.

• 50:00Speaker 01

Yeah. My, well, my character doesn't throw any punches. They, well, they wanted to make him not throw any punches. It's all like, knees or like kicks or takedowns. And so I wrestled and I did MMA for four years. So, I did it. And again, it's just like, they let me do all the fight scenes, which is awesome.

• 50:14Lewis Howes?

  Amazing.

• 50:15Speaker 01

Um, and then to answer your question furthermore, this is one I think is so important. So every day, I wake up, I look myself in the mirror and I say, I will be the biggest entertainer in the world. And I say that 10 times in the morning and I say it 10 times at night, right before I go to bed. Every single day. I read this book, The Secret, and it's all about this. I mean, you know, I'm sure you've read it. Like, I will, I will, this will happen. I'm going to. Um, and the more you say it, the more you believe it. And I'm, and I'm, and I do believe it. Like, I'm 100, 100% invested in my goal of being the biggest entertainer in the world.

• 50:55Speaker 01

And n- nothing will stop me from getting there. Not, not a girl, not, not friends who might be a distraction. Like, that's my goal. And I make sure to do that every single day. Um, and then even like, even like when I say it now, and I, when I say it in front of people, they're like, like, come on, this guy, he's a Vine star right now. Like, I don't care. This is great. I'm 20 years old, dude. In two years,

• 51:16Lewis Howes?

  Just starting.

• 51:17Speaker 01

No one's gonna know me as a Vine star. Um, but the, when you say it, when you tell people, I'm gonna be the biggest entertainer in the world, they, like, in the back of their minds, I was like, come on, like, but the more you say it, the more you believe it. And the more you get used to saying it, the more other people are like,

• 51:33Lewis Howes?

  You're attracting.

• 51:34Speaker 01

Homeboy means it. Homeboy means it. So,

• 51:37Lewis Howes?

  That's great.

• 51:37Speaker 01

Yeah, those are like the two rituals.

• 51:39Lewis Howes?

You read the speak, The Secret, and you started doing that after reading that?

• 51:42Speaker 01

So I read like a little bit. I think it might have been actually an audi- audiobook. Um, I've read like enough to get that.

• 51:50Lewis Howes?

  Concept.

• 51:50Speaker 01

  Yes, and then,

• 51:51Lewis Howes?

  Just started practicing.

• 51:52Speaker 01

Just started doing it. Cause in high school, believe it or not, I did the same thing. It was, I will be more successful than anyone I know. Whatever that means. I will be more successful than anyone I know. And now, I am. Like, I know it sounds bad, but there's not another kid from my high school or that I knew.

• 52:11Lewis Howes?

  Right, right, growing up, yeah.

• 52:12Speaker 01

Yeah, that is like, doing the stuff I'm doing now. And like, it's super cocky, but like, my goal is al- always like, hey, I'm, I need to make this happen. And I want to be successful. I just want to accomplish my goals.

• 52:22Lewis Howes?

You're not gonna be successful not believing in yourself.

• 52:25Speaker 01

  Exactly.

• 52:25Lewis Howes?

You've gotta have such belief and certainty that it's going to happen. Otherwise, you're gonna falter somewhere.

• 52:31Speaker 01

  Seriously, man.

• 52:32Lewis Howes?

It's funny, we've had, um, Jack Canfield, who was in The Secret, and also Lisa Nichols was just here. Couple of weeks ago, she's in The Secret as well. And they both preach this over and over, writing down every single day, what you will create that day. What you're going to become in your life, looking in the mirror, saying these things.

• 52:50Speaker 01

So important, man. And, and like, it's, you're gonna feel dumb doing it, but eventually you'll stop feeling dumb and you'll, you look at yourself and you're like, Wow, I believe this. And then it's like, wow, this is going to happen.

• 53:01Lewis Howes?

You know, it's interesting, as an athlete, you can relate to this. The difference between the championship, the best player on the Super Bowl championship game, or the NBA Finals, the difference between the best players and the players that get second place is this unwavering belief. Whenever you watch an interview afterwards, they're, the person will say, you just won the Super Bowl. How did you make it happen? How did you do this? There's usually one of two responses. One is the Muhammad Ali approach where they say, I am the greatest. I knew I was the greatest. I knew this was gonna happen. I've been dreaming about this for years. Like, no one can stop me. Or it's the, I have so much faith in God, and praise God, and like, I'm just a messenger,

• 53:45Lewis Howes?

and I just put so much belief that he would, you know, put me in this position. Either way, it's certainty and belief.

• 53:52Speaker 01

Belief, belief, believe it, dude. That's why my friends and I joke about it. That's why like rappers who like, aren't even in the game yet, like I have a couple friend rappers, they all rap like they have a million dollars, two million dollars, three million dollars, crazy cars, girls everywhere, like they don't, but they rap like they do, and they believe it, and that's the life they want, and then it happens.

• 54:13Lewis Howes?

It's gonna start attracting and happen, yeah.

• 54:15Speaker 01

  Yeah.

• 54:16Lewis Howes?

  It's amazing, man.

• 54:16Speaker 01

  Yeah, man.

• 54:17Lewis Howes?

What do you think, besides this ritual that you do every day, what are things that you do that are non-negotiable for you, that you must do? Working out, looking in the mirror, saying that you'll be the best entertainer, the biggest entertainer in the world? Is there anything else you do that you feel like has been crucial to your success? Or that's really separated you from all your peers doing this?

• 54:39Speaker 01

Um, this is the cliche answer, but again, you need to hear something like seven to 40 times, actually start believing it. You gotta work harder than anybody else, dude. Like, when I work out, I work out at night, so I won't go to the LA parties, those poppin' LA parties and the clubs.

• 54:53Lewis Howes?

I don't go to clubs, I don't drink alcohol, I've never been drunk.

• 54:55Speaker 01

  You've never been drunk?

• 54:56Lewis Howes?

  Never been drunk.

• 54:57Speaker 01

Good for you. Good for you, dude.

• 54:59Lewis Howes?

When I went to college to play football, I remember I was a tall, white boy receiver. I was just like, I need every advantage. I didn't have a sip of alcohol in college.

• 55:07Speaker 01

  Dude, shut up.

• 55:08Lewis Howes?

I've never been drunk since then. I've had sips, and I'll have like every six months, like a little sip here and there, but I'm so committed to working harder, to working at night when everyone's partying, like, sounds like what you do as well. Working out at night, whatever it takes, man.

• 55:23Speaker 01

  Dude, that's awesome. That's great.

• 55:25Lewis Howes?

So you don't go to the parties, you're not in that?

• 55:26Speaker 01

  Don't go, don't, don't drink, don't smoke, don't do any of that.

• 55:29Lewis Howes?

  That's great.

• 55:29Speaker 01

And work out at night. Like, I'll, I'll, I'll go maybe on a Saturday or Sunday, just because I like being social. And I'm not like, and especially as an actor, I feel like it's important for me to just learn and see and

• 55:40Lewis Howes?

  Of course.

• 55:40Speaker 01

Observe everything. Um, but yeah, I work out at night, so I'm not distracted by the LA parties.

• 55:46Lewis Howes?

Dude, I'll have to come and join you one night.

• 55:48Speaker 01

  Dude, seriously.

• 55:49Lewis Howes?

  Since we're both working out.

• 55:49Speaker 01

Seriously, let's do it, let's do it, dude. Um, but yeah, just, it's so important to work, to work hard.

• 55:55Lewis Howes?

  Yeah.

• 55:55Speaker 01

  That's, and that goes-

• 55:56Lewis Howes?

  Consistently building that momentum, right?

• 55:58Speaker 01

Throughout the day. Yeah, it doesn't, it doesn't stop. Well, actually, so I went to Brazil over, over New Year's. Um, and it was gonna be like my reset, because literally all of 2015, just work, work, work, work. And it paid off, it paid off in, in great ways. Like, in Facebook, I was the number one viewed personality on the platform. It was like 300 million views, like, yeah, and that's just one of the things, like-

• 56:18Lewis Howes?

It's like bigger than The Rock.

• 56:19Speaker 01

  Dude, yeah, it, it was.

• 56:20Lewis Howes?

Who I love, he's amazing, dude.

• 56:22Speaker 01

  He is also my idol.

• 56:23Lewis Howes?

He's a, I want to get him on here. That's one of my goals.

• 56:25Speaker 01

He's, he's the best. He inspires me, and he's like part of the reason I'm saying this, because like, he works so-

• 56:31Lewis Howes?

  So hard, Ben.

• 56:32Speaker 01

So hard, dude. And like, I-

• 56:36Lewis Howes?

And he doesn't have more talent than anyone else. Like, he is trained for 20 years to build his talent.

• 56:41Speaker 01

Yep, yep. And he, he inspires me, man. Like, I aspire to achieve his work ethic. Um, like, he's the hardest working man in Hollywood right now, and I love you, Rock, but I'm going to be the hardest working man in Hollywood.

• 56:55Lewis Howes?

  Get it, Ohio.

• 56:56Speaker 01

  Ohio, dude, Ohio.

• 56:58Lewis Howes?

And so, what were you saying? I interrupted you, I apologize.

• 57:01Speaker 01

  Uh-

• 57:01Lewis Howes?

You went to Florianopolis, or Brazil.

• 57:03Speaker 01

Yeah, I went to, I went to Brazil.

• 57:04Lewis Howes?

  To reset.

• 57:05Speaker 01

I did go to Florianopolis, I don't know how you knew that.

• 57:06Lewis Howes?

  I saw a photo.

• 57:07Speaker 01

Oh, yeah, okay, okay. So, yeah, I went to Florianopolis.

• 57:09Lewis Howes?

If you're like doing the splits or something.

• 57:10Speaker 01

Always, yep. Um, and dude, it was like my reset, right? Like, oh, like, I worked, I worked, let's spoil myself, dude. Backfired, backfired.

• 57:18Lewis Howes?

Really? What do you mean, what happened?

• 57:19Speaker 01

All I did was eat and not work out, and like, gained- Twenty pounds and and just I didn't have the fun I should have.

• 57:29Lewis Howes?

You didn't have fun, why not? So you're stressing about like gaining weight or?

• 57:31Speaker 01

I don't know, man. I did it wrong. I paid too much money for not enough fun.

• 57:36Lewis Howes?

  Really?

• 57:36Speaker 01

Yeah, so I got back, I was like, damn, like, I didn't have that much fun, but like, now I gotta go back to the grind.

• 57:45Lewis Howes?

You know what's you know what's interesting? For ten years, or whenever I got my cellphone, nineteen ninety nine, I think I got my cellphone when I was a junior in high school, or two thousand, I was a junior in high school, I graduated in two thousand one. How many, was that fifteen years? I have not spent more than twenty four hours without my cellphone, right? It's been by my side. I've used it for fifteen years. At least once a day.

• 58:07Speaker 01

  Yeah.

• 58:08Lewis Howes?

And about four months ago, I was just, you know, I was gearing up for my book launch. I was just like in the middle, in the thick of it. It was just like, I was going all in. I had this big vision for it. And I was like, I'm gonna burn out if I don't take a break. And I'd never taken a digital detox, so I went to Kauai in Hawaii.

• 58:25Speaker 01

  Yeah.

• 58:26Lewis Howes?

Four days, left my phone here.

• 58:28Speaker 01

  Shut up.

• 58:29Lewis Howes?

Left my phone here. I was the most terrified ever.

• 58:32Speaker 01

  What happened? What was it?

• 58:33Lewis Howes?

I got there and I like rented it. I had rented a car before, but I forgot where I rented the car. And I was like, if only I had my phone, I could just check all these things.

• 58:40Speaker 01

  Yeah.

• 58:41Lewis Howes?

I had to like get directions on the side of the road all the time, but it was so free. It was so amazing. After the first day, I was just swimming in the ocean, having so much fun. Wasn't spending money on stuff, just like chilling on the beach, hanging out with friends.

• 58:53Speaker 01

I need this. I need this.

• 58:54Lewis Howes?

Dude, next time, go for my four days, don't take your phone.

• 58:57Speaker 01

Yeah, and I went out. That's the other thing. I went for too long. Dude, I five days, that's it. That's all I need.

• 59:01Lewis Howes?

  Yeah.

• 59:02Speaker 01

If even that, yeah, and nothing.

• 59:04Lewis Howes?

You're ready to get back after three or four.

• 59:05Speaker 01

Exactly. So no phone, no laptop, just like, I need that. And I admire.

• 59:09Lewis Howes?

Have you ever taken a digital detox and?

• 59:11Speaker 01

  No.

• 59:11Lewis Howes?

Dude, it's gonna be a game changer.

• 59:12Speaker 01

Dude, it is, but also, like, like I said, dude, I've only been, I've had it for like two years, like, I'll take a detox.

• 59:19Lewis Howes?

  Yeah, exactly.

• 59:20Speaker 01

Um, yeah, yeah, man. Work hard. That's, that's, that's the motto.

• 59:25Lewis Howes?

So what's the the biggest fear for Logan Paul?

• 59:28Speaker 01

  Oh.

• 59:28Lewis Howes?

Cause you put yourself out there so much. Do you care what people think or say? Do you care about doing something that's just a huge flop and everyone's like, who is this loser critic or, you know? Um, are you afraid of anything or is it all rainbows and skittles?

• 59:45Speaker 01

Dude, honestly, like, my answer right off the bat is the rainbows and skittles, man, uh, because.

• 59:53Speaker 01

I don't think you should live life in fear. Uh, someone asked me the other day, I did this panel in Florida for this, um, convention. Someone asked me, what are the do's and don'ts of the internet? And I answered and I said, uh, oh no, he did say, what are the do's and don'ts? He said, what are the don'ts? And I answered, said, why are you focusing on the don'ts? Like the don'ts are obvious. You don't talk about controversial, controversial stuff. If you're trying to develop a clean, clean brand like I was. Don't talk about stuff that, uh, is going to make you look bad. Um, they're, they're obvious. Focus on the do's, right? So just like to answer this question, I don't really focus on fears or stuff I'm afraid of. Like, yeah, I have some dots that come on my mind every now and then about whatever it is like, oh, will this video do good?

• 1:00:37Speaker 01

Um, am I going to be like a Vine star for the rest of my life? But then I'm like, it's impossible. It's impossible. The way, the way I'm thinking, the way I'm working, like, yeah, man, I, I don't, I don't live really fearing anything.

• 1:00:49Lewis Howes?

  Sure, sure. Okay.

• 1:00:50Speaker 01

I am afraid of scary movies.

• 1:00:53Lewis Howes?

  Which, what's the scariest?

• 1:00:54Speaker 01

  Dude.

• 1:00:55Lewis Howes?

  Saw?

• 1:00:56Speaker 01

Oh God, you know, you know what? I don't mind gory, weird. I don't mind gory, but yo, Paranormal Activity?

• 1:01:02Lewis Howes?

I will not watch any of those movies, man. With the little girls and little boys.

• 1:01:05Speaker 01

  For that reason.

• 1:01:06Lewis Howes?

  Oh my gosh.

• 1:01:07Speaker 01

  Can't do it, sorry.

• 1:01:08Lewis Howes?

  The trailers freak me out.

• 1:01:09Speaker 01

Dude, I'm done, I'm done. Like, no, man, I, scary movies terrify me.

• 1:01:14Lewis Howes?

  Okay.

• 1:01:14Speaker 01

  That's like my one fear.

• 1:01:16Lewis Howes?

So, so you've been in this game for like literally 24 months.

• 1:01:20Speaker 01

  Yeah.

• 1:01:20Lewis Howes?

Um, and you've achieved so much. What is the vision? If you could put yourself at 25, what will Logan Paul have created at 25 in five years from now?

• 1:01:30Speaker 01

  This is a great question.

• 1:01:32Lewis Howes?

You know, all these platforms could be gone for all we know.

• 1:01:34Speaker 01

  Yeah.

• 1:01:35Lewis Howes?

Or there could be 20 new platforms you're on, but what do you see yourself? Who do you see yourself being and what do you see yourself creating?

• 1:01:42Speaker 01

So I will be, I will be sensationalized as one of the most successful digital media creators to have transcended into traditional media. Whatever that is at the time, because right, TV now is, is slowly.

• 1:01:59Lewis Howes?

It's becoming YouTube online or whatever.

• 1:02:01Speaker 01

Yeah, exactly. Some people have TVs, but they're just watching.

• 1:02:02Lewis Howes?

  Netflix.

• 1:02:03Speaker 01

Yeah, online shows. So whatever, whatever that means, um, I will be one of the first to have transcended successfully into uh that platform. Um, and just creating my own stuff, longer form stuff, movies, television shows, um, and I'll always foster this digital audience. Like, like hopefully I'll be at like a hundred million on Facebook by then. Um, which is, is nuts.

• 1:02:28Lewis Howes?

That'd be like a tenth of the people on Facebook.

• 1:02:30Speaker 01

  Seriously, yeah, yeah.

• 1:02:31Lewis Howes?

They're like a billion something on Facebook.

• 1:02:33Speaker 01

Yeah, man, like whatever, whatever it is, but, oh man, that's nuts to think about. Um, but yeah.

• 1:02:40Lewis Howes?

Possible, you're almost at 10 million.

• 1:02:41Speaker 01

Dude, Vin Diesel's at 100 million and he's Vin Diesel. I got.

• 1:02:45Lewis Howes?

He could be bigger than him.

• 1:02:46Speaker 01

Bro, that's what I'm saying, man. Just give me some time. Give me five years, easy. Um, and so, yeah, that, that's my goal. Um, what is going to be happening specifically? I don't know. I don't know, man, but it's, it's, it's just so exciting this, this time, cause no one is, besides King Batch, successfully transitioning from digital to traditional. Like everyone is just divine star. They can't act. They're just blah, blah, blah. Well, guess what? Homeboy can act. I can create. I can direct. Um, I can produce and I know I sound like a cocky, like little like chach, but dude, I believe in myself and I know what I'm capable, capable of. And if I didn't, like I wouldn't be here.

• 1:03:26Lewis Howes?

Yeah. And you probably know what you're not capable of and that's why you're doing the work every single day or going to the acting classes and becoming better at what you're.

• 1:03:33Speaker 01

Exactly, exactly. So like when I came to LA, when I came to LA, I wasn't, my acting skills were subpar. Like I could do it. I was natural on camera, but I needed to, like what acting.

• 1:03:43Lewis Howes?

  Training, yeah.

• 1:03:44Speaker 01

Stop, stop internet acting. I could do that all day, but like acting, just like sitting here, like talking to you. Um, and I know this, so I took the classes and I, and I'm going to continue taking classes until I'm the best. Um, and yeah, man, know your weaknesses, know your strengths, exploit the strengths, fix the weaknesses.

• 1:04:01Lewis Howes?

I like it. Couple of questions left for you.

• 1:04:03Speaker 01

  Hit me.

• 1:04:03Lewis Howes?

Dude, we've been going for an hour and I'm like, it feels like 20 minutes.

• 1:04:06Speaker 01

  No way.

• 1:04:07Lewis Howes?

This is, I love these conversations. Um, I haven't even looked at any of these questions on these cards that are down here. So I don't even know if I need to. One of the questions is, what's something you're really proud of that? Very few people know about you that you've done because everything you do people know about. You know, your, well, your numbers, your magazine covers, your movies, like everything you do. You're so public, but what's something that you're really proud of that maybe no one knows about you? That you've done.

• 1:04:37Speaker 01

Ah, this is, this is funny because it's so tiny. It is so tiny and minimalistic, but I just felt good about myself after I did it. Um, this happened four days ago. And like I said, this is probably not the big answer you're looking for, but.

• 1:04:53Lewis Howes?

  What makes you proud?

• 1:04:54Speaker 01

Dude, it's weird because I like, I take pride in it. So, uh, I had just paid my meter and I see the parking maid coming up and she's like going along the cars, looking for that car that hasn't paid theirs. She goes to this car who was at zero and I, I went up, I was like, I got it. Whatever. Just like something simple. Didn't even think twice about it. I was like, I got it. Don't worry. Like, and I paid for this person, this yellow beetle bug. And, uh, again, I didn't think anything of it. And then the chick, the parking, uh, maid lady stopped. She goes, hey, just know it's going to come back to you. It always does. And I was just, I was like, oh, I guess, I guess you're right. Like I didn't think anything of it, but she's like, oh, it's just a nice, it was a nice little thing that I, I thought it was after she said that.

• 1:05:39Speaker 01

I was like, wow, this is, I guess it is cool. Like.

• 1:05:41Lewis Howes?

You know what's, I mean, not trying to like toot my own horn, but I do similar stuff like that all the time where I'm paying for people buying me and Starbucks.

• 1:05:48Speaker 01

I need to do this more.

• 1:05:49Lewis Howes?

But this is what people from Ohio do, man.

• 1:05:51Speaker 01

  That's what I'm saying, dude.

• 1:05:52Lewis Howes?

  We got good hearts.

• 1:05:53Speaker 01

We got good hearts, man. And like, it just, I don't know. I was, I was, I was proud of myself after doing it. It's like, I need to do, I need to do this more.

• 1:06:00Lewis Howes?

You should do it every day because you're going to get bigger and bigger and you could allow yourself to just like take advantage of it. And I think just keep the Ohio roots, keep the grounded roots. I think it'll be really important for you.

• 1:06:10Speaker 01

Yeah. Yeah. And like, like I said, it's, it's such a little thing and I know everyone watching is like, that asshole should be doing that every day. Guys, I'm 20. Like, I don't even know what's going on in my life right now.

• 1:06:20Lewis Howes?

  Right and wrong.

• 1:06:20Speaker 01

Please give me time to learn. And like, I saw this lady walking behind me when I did it and like, who knows? It like turns into one of those commercials where like she sees it and then like she goes and you say. And then the chain continues. Pay it forward.

• 1:06:33Lewis Howes?

That's great, man. I love that.

• 1:06:34Speaker 01

  Yeah, yeah.

• 1:06:35Lewis Howes?

Um, okay. Last, what do I have, two or three questions left? I ask this question at the end of every interview. And I might be putting you on the spot, but just answer to the best of your ability.

• 1:06:45Speaker 01

  Hit me.

• 1:06:46Lewis Howes?

It's many years down the road and it's your last day.

• 1:06:48Speaker 01

  Okay.

• 1:06:49Lewis Howes?

You've become the biggest entertainer in the world. You've done more movies than The Rock and Kevin Hart put together.

• 1:06:56Speaker 01

Whoa, that's a lot of movies.

• 1:06:58Lewis Howes?

You've written multiple New York Times bestsellers, putting out music albums, whatever you want to do. You've done it all. For whatever reason, it all gets erased. The internet blows up and everything that gets erased. So every video you've ever created is gone.

• 1:07:12Speaker 01

  Okay.

• 1:07:13Lewis Howes?

And everyone you love is by your bed. And you're peaceful, you're happy, and they give you a piece of paper and they say, Logan, we want you to write down three truths. Three things that you know to be true about your experience in life. The three lessons that you want us to live by. We have nothing else for us to experience of you, except for what you write on this piece of paper. You have a pen and paper and say, three truths. What would you write down for what's opening up for you right now as those three truths?

• 1:07:42Speaker 01

This is a deep one. It's a deep one, Louis. Here we go. But I like this. Uh, okay.

• 1:07:48Lewis Howes?

This is 20-year-old Logan's three truths.

• 1:07:50Speaker 01

Okay, number one, I would say. Uh, how do I say this intelligibly? Basically, basically, don't worry about the judgment of others. Number one. You are valuable. I'm here and I'm valuable. Like my acting teacher said that last night. You are. You don't need approval from others. If you want to do something crazy, do something crazy. Because people are like looking at you like, who cares? Who cares? My motto has always been when I'm doing crazy public stunts or like splitting in the streets of New York. Yeah, I might look dumb or silly in front of 50 people, but I want to entertain millions. Um, 65 million, like, and so that's number one.

• 1:08:33Speaker 01

Like you can't care what other people think. Um, number two, I think, and I, I wish I could elaborate on. This more um but coming from Ohio to here like dude when I look over your shoulder I see this beautiful city and endless possibilities. In Ohio, you don't see that. So my my thing here would be is to go out and explore and live. Live, travel, go places, experience different cultures, taste different food, listen to different music. I just started listening to Frank Sinatra music. I just started reading more um and just live like s- I again, I saw this recently in a piece.

• 1:09:13Speaker 01

Um steal like an artist. So steal steal good music. Yeah, you wanna go in? Don't actually steal the book, but.

• 1:09:21Speaker 01

Read a quote in it, steal that knowledge, take it home, do something with it. So yeah, that would that would be number two.

• 1:09:29Lewis Howes?

Last thing that everyone gets to remember you by.

• 1:09:31Speaker 01

Number three, what would it be? Oh, boy, this is tough. Um, I would say, okay, okay, here's a good one. Don't, don't make your goals monetary driven. Now, the this is gonna have, obviously, it's gonna have outliers and some people are gonna be like, well, I want my goal was to make a billion. Like, that's great, but for me, like, when I say biggest entertainer in the world, I could get paid zero dollars. But as long as I'm entertaining people, as long as uh a lot of people know who I am and respect my work, I'm happy. I've never done it for the money. I've never done it for the money. And I think that's important, man, because like I create, cuz I like to create.

• 1:10:16Speaker 01

Um, and when like people say, oh, I wanna make a million dollars, like, how, how you gonna do that? Are you gonna do what you love? Great. You're gonna, when you, when you make a million, you're gonna wanna make a hundred million. But how are you gonna do that?

• 1:10:30Speaker 01

So do what makes you happy. Maybe that's, maybe that's it. Maybe that's, I think that's it. Do what makes you happy. And I feel like the stars will align for you.

• 1:10:39Lewis Howes?

  I love it.

• 1:10:40Speaker 01

So yeah, don't care about what other people think. Explore, travel the world, and do what makes you happy.

• 1:10:45Lewis Howes?

It's a great ones, man. I love it. Very wise beyond your years.

• 1:10:48Speaker 01

  Hey, hey.

• 1:10:49Lewis Howes?

It's interesting because I launched this podcast, uh, three years ago. It's actually like the anniversary today or tomorrow, I think.

• 1:10:55Speaker 01

  Whoa.

• 1:10:55Lewis Howes?

Three year anniversary. Thanks, man. It's crazy. And I remember I was like, I'm just gonna launch this thing and I'm gonna do it every week. For a year and I'm not gonna take any sponsorships. Like, I don't care about making money. I just wanna connect with people and gain knowledge and share with the world.

• 1:11:09Speaker 01

  Yep.

• 1:11:10Lewis Howes?

And it's paid off because of that. You know, I got a book deal. Like, you know, now it's making a lot of money. So.

• 1:11:14Speaker 01

  It's amazing, man.

• 1:11:15Lewis Howes?

It's been, it's been really cool and I appreciate your, your approach that you're going after it as something you love to do as, and you wanna be an art- artist and inspire people and entertain and not just do it for the money. So it's really cool because a lot of people in LA are focused on the money and fame and the money.

• 1:11:30Speaker 01

Yeah, it's, if, you know, so for some people it works. For me, not so much.

• 1:11:34Lewis Howes?

Yeah, it's good, man. Keep, keep that, man. I love it. Um, one final question. Is there anything we've missed that we wanna make sure we wanna talk about? Make sure everyone goes follow you. You're at Logan Paul everywhere, essentially. Snapchat, Instagram, Vine, Facebook. Follow him everywhere. And be prepared to be addicted and laugh and have fun and be inspired. Um. Is there anything else? Is there any question that you've always wanted to answer that no one's ever asked you?

• 1:12:00Speaker 01

Oh, okay. That I've always wanted to answer? I don't know, man. I think, I think you hit the nail on the head with just like the rituals and the deep stuff. I'm like, cause like, I do comedy, so no one really thinks I'm capable of using big words and, and, and having wise conversations, but I think you hit the nail on the head, man. I think it's important to just believe in yourself, um, iterate your goals and go do it. Just make it happen, man.

• 1:12:28Lewis Howes?

What do you think something that people can do to increase their belief and confidence in themselves besides just saying it? What's something they can do every day to, to build that confidence?

• 1:12:38Speaker 01

Easy. Just something really easy for you? Workout. Like

• 1:12:42Lewis Howes?

  You will be confident afterwards.

• 1:12:43Speaker 01

I'm pretty sure, I'm pretty sure, uh, cause you know, confidence obviously is a huge thing, especially nowadays. Um, with all the internet, like cyberbullying, blah, blah, blah. I think working out is A increases your mental toughness. When it comes to the physical stuff, but you just start to look better, you feel better and like, I don't. I don't know in what world, if you're looking better and like getting stronger in your head, you won't start to be more confident.

• 1:13:10Lewis Howes?

  It's true.

• 1:13:10Speaker 01

It's just a simple fix. It's not like a ritual or, or like, uh, some formula, just start working out, go jog, go jog, go, go lift weights and it's harder said than done. Obviously some people, but find a way.

• 1:13:23Lewis Howes?

I like it. I like, I do, uh, I just started doing kickboxing twice a week and it's like, you could never feel down after you just like, beat the crap out of a bag for an hour.

• 1:13:33Speaker 01

  And you're just exhausted.

• 1:13:34Lewis Howes?

Dripping sweat. You're just like, I'm the man, you know?

• 1:13:36Speaker 01

Dude, that's what I'm saying. You go home, you just feel great. You're like sore, you're like, I did it. I put in my work today.

• 1:13:42Lewis Howes?

Cool. Okay. Final question before I ask it, I want to acknowledge you. I acknowledge all my guests at the end for what opens up for me. And Logan, I want to acknowledge you for your joy.

• 1:13:53Speaker 01

  Joy.

• 1:13:54Lewis Howes?

Your joy and your ability to put yourself out there without being afraid of what people think or say, or

• 1:14:02Lewis Howes?

any of the stuff that a lot of people are scared. So many people that I talk to are scared to launch a business, are scared to say something on social media. They're scared to put themselves out. They, they, they need to look perfect.

• 1:14:13Speaker 01

  Yeah.

• 1:14:13Lewis Howes?

And they're always worried about this perfectionism prison that they're in. You go a hundred percent all in with everything you do. And it's such an inspiration for so many people. So I want to acknowledge you for your joy, your passion.

• 1:14:24Speaker 01

  Thank you, man.

• 1:14:25Lewis Howes?

And your dedication to hard work because not enough people are doing that. So I acknowledge you for all those incredible gifts, man.

• 1:14:32Speaker 01

Thank you, man. I appreciate that.

• 1:14:33Lewis Howes?

Yeah. Yeah. And final question is what's your definition of greatness?

• 1:14:37Speaker 01

Ooh, okay. Definition of greatness. Cause each person's gonna have a different definition. For me. Greatness would be being the biggest entertainer in the world. For you, it might be something else. I think, and this kind of falls within the definition of success as well. But I think greatness is when you've achieved all your goals and beyond, I think. So maybe that beyond part is that million dollars you wanted to make. Maybe, maybe when you achieve all your goals, you, you end up making more than a million dollars. Maybe that's the beyond. Maybe that's, maybe that's the greatness.

• 1:15:20Speaker 01

Or, or, you know, this just came to my mind, leaving a legacy behind. When you die, people, people remember you. Yeah, I think, I think that's it. When, when you, when you die, having hopefully achieved all your goals, people will remember you. You still matter. David Bowie. Great. Greatness.

• 1:15:42Lewis Howes?

  Yeah.

• 1:15:44Speaker 01

And I think, I think that's the answer that I'm searching for. Yeah.

• 1:15:47Lewis Howes?

  I love it.

• 1:15:47Speaker 01

  Yeah, yeah.

• 1:15:48Lewis Howes?

  Logan Paul, my Ohio brother.

• 1:15:50Speaker 01

  My man.

• 1:15:51Lewis Howes?

Thanks for coming on, man. I appreciate you.

• 1:15:52Speaker 01

Thank you, dude. Thank you, man. Yeah, yeah, yeah.

• 1:15:54Lewis Howes?

  That's great.
