• 0:19Mary Beth Barone?

Hey, can you come pick me up? Yeah, what's wrong? Nothing. Are you sure? Yeah, no, I just need a ride. Ride, ride. Oh, my God. So why, I just wanna have fun. Start your engine. Tighter.

• 0:30Benito Skinner?

  I'm Benito Skinner.

• 0:31Mary Beth Barone?

  I'm Mary Beth Brown.

• 0:33Benito Skinner?

  And this.

• 0:33Mary Beth Barone?

  Is.

• 0:34Benito Skinner?

  Ride.

• 0:38Mary Beth Barone?

I don't even know where to start today.

• 0:40Benito Skinner?

Well, I can start somewhere where I feel like everything could kind of start.

• 0:45Mary Beth Barone?

Should I read what this says just really quick?

• 0:48Benito Skinner?

  Yeah.

• 0:48Mary Beth Barone?

Doing a birthday party at a rock climbing gym where Mary Beth plays the man who gets me ready to climb out of the hole in Dark Knight Rises.

• 0:55Benito Skinner?

  I was gonna.

• 0:56Mary Beth Barone?

And a bunch of semi-friends in the industry do that chant, dash, no rope.

• 1:03Benito Skinner?

  Okay, so.

• 1:07Benito Skinner?

I was literally getting my phone out to describe my dream 40th birthday to you.

• 1:13Mary Beth Barone?

If we make it to 40.

• 1:15Benito Skinner?

If. If. If is good. What's that from? Hercules?

• 1:20Mary Beth Barone?

  I don't know. I don't know that one.

• 1:23Benito Skinner?

Unfortunately, like, I just didn't have that many friends to hang out with, so I've seen too many Disney fucking movies. That's what I'm finding, like, it has nothing to do with, like, memory.

• 1:31Mary Beth Barone?

I know a lot of the, but Hercules wasn't in my heavy rotation.

• 1:34Benito Skinner?

  Whoa.

• 1:34Mary Beth Barone?

  It wasn't female-centric enough.

• 1:36Benito Skinner?

  Megra didn't give you enough?

• 1:38Mary Beth Barone?

Megra, I had the doll. And Megra I was very attracted to.

• 1:41Benito Skinner?

  You look like Megra.

• 1:42Mary Beth Barone?

But thank, and thank you for saying that, but.

• 1:44Benito Skinner?

They want this, people really want us as Hercules and Megra. The trades are talking.

• 1:48Mary Beth Barone?

  There's some fan casting happening.

• 1:50Benito Skinner?

You know what they do to me? They'd go, oh, you'd be perfect as, who's his little, um.

• 1:53Mary Beth Barone?

  Oh, the little fucker?

• 1:55Benito Skinner?

  Yeah.

• 1:55Mary Beth Barone?

  The little pissant?

• 1:56Benito Skinner?

Come on, Hercules, you know, yeah, yeah, yeah.

• 1:59Mary Beth Barone?

  You're a pig.

• 1:59Benito Skinner?

  You could've been a star.

• 2:01Mary Beth Barone?

They're like, Benny's booked the role, but it's a pig, it's a CGI pig, and you just do the voice?

• 2:05Benito Skinner?

Oh, it's my favorite. I'll read a script and I'll look and it's just like, gay guy who you wanna fucking punch in the face, who hates, who you just fucking hate.

• 2:12Mary Beth Barone?

Gay guy who makes hate crimes okay randomly.

• 2:15Benito Skinner?

Literally. Yeah, exactly. Sex-obsessed motherfucker. And the first one's me, like, the first line is like, are you really not gonna fuck him, you dirty bitch? And it's like, yeah. Hollywood is a dream. I can see it now.

• 2:28Mary Beth Barone?

Everybody comes to Hollywood. One make it in the neighborhood.

• 2:35Benito Skinner?

I'm doing yoga and Pilates in the class as well as Hattie's and I'm looking at their bodies. Do you think I'm satisfied? Madonna. So we haven't done much Madonna on here, but you know.

• 2:44Mary Beth Barone?

  I have a complicated relationship.

• 2:46Benito Skinner?

  Oh, interesting.

• 2:47Mary Beth Barone?

  Yeah.

• 2:48Benito Skinner?

We don't have to get into that. I don't want to amplify that.

• 2:51Mary Beth Barone?

  Thanks.

• 2:51Benito Skinner?

So this 40th birthday, I don't know how I thought of it. I think I was actually at dinner with Adam and Rich in Paris. There's something about speaking Paris.

• 3:04Mary Beth Barone?

Here's the thing, because as everyone knows.

• 3:06Benito Skinner?

It was in the middle of the night.

• 3:07Mary Beth Barone?

We have a shared notes app doc called Pod Opening.

• 3:10Benito Skinner?

  When I get an alert.

• 3:11Mary Beth Barone?

Usually it's one word in there, or we'll add like three words, like a phrase, just to make us think of it. Like airport times, which is in there and I still don't know what it means, but I wrote it.

• 3:19Benito Skinner?

  I know you did that.

• 3:19Mary Beth Barone?

I still don't know what it means.

• 3:21Benito Skinner?

  Well, we'll see.

• 3:21Mary Beth Barone?

You wrote a whole paragraph. It was very, very abnormal. It was unusual.

• 3:28Benito Skinner?

Okay, range. Girl, I loved that.

• 3:34Mary Beth Barone?

Well, I just, that felt kind of good on my head.

• 3:37Benito Skinner?

The whole thing breaks apart again. We've been making fun of you guys this whole time. We're on a full soundstage. We've been laughing at you losers.

• 3:44Mary Beth Barone?

Well, did you guys at least record it? Because we have to put these episodes out.

• 3:47Benito Skinner?

That would have been your first thought. We recently did a comedy festival and Mary Beth came to me and the only notes she had were just like a few logistical things that stressed her out. It was so cute. I love you being like, they didn't have the ribbon right.

• 4:04Benito Skinner?

  The name tags weren't right.

• 4:06Mary Beth Barone?

  I don't like that.

• 4:07Benito Skinner?

  It's okay, sweetie.

• 4:08Mary Beth Barone?

  It's not.

• 4:09Benito Skinner?

  It's not.

• 4:10Mary Beth Barone?

  It's not.

• 4:12Benito Skinner?

So imagine this, there's this rock climbing gym in Idaho, and I will say like the ones that are in LA are some, oh God, I wish there was a way to say this any other way, but I guess I'll just do this and you guys know I'm not misogynistic, but there's some pussy shit. They're just not as aggressive as the ones in Idaho are. The rock gyms that I grew up going to, you were high up.

• 4:33Mary Beth Barone?

  It's dangerous.

• 4:34Benito Skinner?

It's dangerous. It's like the one in Princess Diaries.

• 4:37Mary Beth Barone?

  Yeah.

• 4:37Benito Skinner?

It's like you are up, up, up. So there's this one and I think it's still there, but you know, and I just thought, oh my God, okay, I have this birthday concept. So I bring everyone's.

• 4:47Mary Beth Barone?

  Concept birthday.

• 4:48Benito Skinner?

  Well, of course.

• 4:50Mary Beth Barone?

Health privilege, travel privilege, and concept birthdays. Must be nice to be ready to.

• 4:54Benito Skinner?

Oh, yeah, it is about 20 minutes of every fucking day. So.

• 5:00Mary Beth Barone?

I keep forgetting to turn the timer on. I think I know how long we've been talking for.

• 5:04Benito Skinner?

Those are the logistics. That's my little girl, my little worker bee. So imagine this. Everyone's given, well, they know my birthday's coming because I've etched the Batman thing in chalk, kind of on posts and lamps throughout Boise. So then people are like, oh shit, the 40th is coming and they haven't seen me, by the way, in 10 years.

• 5:26Benito Skinner?

Now it'd be a really good time for you to come home is what everyone's saying to me. Oh, I'm not gonna make you do it in your cellar right now.

• 5:32Mary Beth Barone?

It's okay. I rewatched it two weeks ago.

• 5:34Benito Skinner?

  Oh, okay.

• 5:34Mary Beth Barone?

  Yeah.

• 5:35Benito Skinner?

  Good.

• 5:35Mary Beth Barone?

  Fresh.

• 5:36Benito Skinner?

  So.

• 5:38Benito Skinner?

And I said, I want kind of random people from the industry there that I'm close with, but not that close.

• 5:42Mary Beth Barone?

  Not super close.

• 5:43Benito Skinner?

Yeah, but they feel like they have to come.

• 5:45Mary Beth Barone?

  Hundred percent.

• 5:46Benito Skinner?

So they come to my birthday and you're dressed as the old man who helps break my back, back into.

• 5:51Mary Beth Barone?

This is all a Batman reference, just for those that haven't seen.

• 5:54Benito Skinner?

So for those who haven't seen Dark Knight Rises, Bane breaks Batman's back and then puts him in essentially a, it's like a well.

• 6:02Mary Beth Barone?

  It's a well.

• 6:03Benito Skinner?

  It's a well.

• 6:03Mary Beth Barone?

  To dry a well.

• 6:04Benito Skinner?

It's a prison. It's a well, but make it prison. And so he's down there and essentially you can try to climb out if you dare. It's very Nina drama. You could see, but if I was you, I'd do it without the rope. A child did it once. Good luck, Bruce Wayne. While she puts on the TV to watch Gotham burn. So it's me at my birthday and I come and everyone there, we're playing the Hans Zimmer.

• 6:36Benito Skinner?

All these are just keeping your brains. This is all industry.

• 6:39Mary Beth Barone?

These are industry people, producers, executives.

• 6:42Benito Skinner?

  No family.

• 6:42Mary Beth Barone?

  Agents, managers.

• 6:43Benito Skinner?

No family, no really close friends. I'm talking industry.

• 6:50Benito Skinner?

So then I have to with no rope come I I walk through this crowd of industry professionals.

• 6:56Mary Beth Barone?

Are you wearing like you're wearing like.

• 6:58Benito Skinner?

I'm in a cloth. Yeah, of course. And you are full boy drag, boy drag as the man.

• 7:05Mary Beth Barone?

  Joe Calderon.

• 7:06Benito Skinner?

You're very Joe Calderon at this. Yeah, yeah. I almost said tucked.

• 7:11Mary Beth Barone?

  Do you know something?

• 7:14Benito Skinner?

Girl, I wish. So then we're walking through and yeah, you're the guy who's like, you did it without the rope. And you say that to me because I have the rope on at that point. So then I take off the rope and I say, I don't want it. And then as everyone's going,

• 7:31Benito Skinner?

I start to climb and I get to the top. And that's me at the 40th. I don't know what I do.

• 7:36Mary Beth Barone?

  How do you get down?

• 7:37Benito Skinner?

  Well, I don't know.

• 7:39Mary Beth Barone?

They bring out a big trampoline.

• 7:41Benito Skinner?

I go back. Let me tell you, rock climbing is hard for me because, you know, getting this ass up to the top, it's not always easy.

• 7:48Mary Beth Barone?

  It's the things they carried.

• 7:49Benito Skinner?

But yeah, that's just kind of this big 40th birthday concept to have for someone who doesn't care about his birthday. This is a little crazy.

• 7:55Mary Beth Barone?

Well, you're allowed to care every once in a while. It's it's caring every single year that gets a little stressful, I think.

• 8:00Benito Skinner?

Yeah, if I cared about the 39th, that'd be crazy. And just so everyone knows, this is a long time from now.

• 8:05Mary Beth Barone?

Right. 20 to 50 years, I would say. Yeah.

• 8:08Benito Skinner?

  Yeah. What do you think?

• 8:10Mary Beth Barone?

I mean, I'm obviously so in, I can't wait to get boy drag and old person drag. And I'll be 42 at that point. So maybe I won't even need to be aged up that much. I mean, my God, I'll be over the hill.

• 8:23Benito Skinner?

  No, you'll look perfect.

• 8:24Mary Beth Barone?

Total fucking crypt keeper by then. I'm kidding. I'm totally kidding. I think 40 year old women are, I think.

• 8:29Benito Skinner?

  So sexy.

• 8:29Mary Beth Barone?

Person I'm friends with is so much hotter than when they when we were all 25.

• 8:33Benito Skinner?

  I agree. No, my phone.

• 8:34Mary Beth Barone?

I thought we were peaking at 25. We didn't peak at 25.

• 8:37Benito Skinner?

My phone showed me a photo of us at 25 and I go, I wouldn't.

• 8:40Mary Beth Barone?

  I wouldn't.

• 8:41Benito Skinner?

Here's the thing, my darling, darling girl.

• 8:45Benito Skinner?

I was in the gym recently.

• 8:47Mary Beth Barone?

  With JR.

• 8:48Benito Skinner?

  At the gym.

• 8:49Mary Beth Barone?

  Doubt.

• 8:49Benito Skinner?

So I'm with JR and no, actually he wasn't available this day. So I was with Andrew and shout out Andrew, we love you darling. I know he doesn't listen.

• 8:57Mary Beth Barone?

  Right.

• 8:57Benito Skinner?

  But he did watch overcompensating.

• 8:58Mary Beth Barone?

  Oh, that's nice.

• 8:59Benito Skinner?

Loved it. I come to the gym and it's kind of later in the day. This isn't my usual time slot and there's a different trainer there who I didn't know. I go, who fucks up? And he's training this guy and they're playing all Hans Zimmer scores during this workout.

• 9:14Mary Beth Barone?

That's so straight men. Holy shit.

• 9:16Benito Skinner?

  It's so straight men.

• 9:17Mary Beth Barone?

  That just really is scary.

• 9:18Benito Skinner?

Isn't that bone chilling? So imagine me, I'm doing full like dips to S T A Y. It was crazy. And then all of it, I found that it was so like annoying halfway. Cause I was like, what the fuck's this from? And then they're like, Dune 2, you know, they screamed at me and then they.

• 9:35Mary Beth Barone?

  Of course they did.

• 9:36Benito Skinner?

And then they beat the fuck out of me.

• 9:37Mary Beth Barone?

And they lit you on fire.

• 9:38Benito Skinner?

And then they pissed on me. It was so weird. But yeah, I just, I had to tell you that I found the, I would say most unsafe place in Gotham that day for a woman to be in.

• 9:48Mary Beth Barone?

  Right, right.

• 9:48Benito Skinner?

I just thought, oh my God, if a girl walked in here, I don't know if she'd survive.

• 9:51Mary Beth Barone?

  No, that's.

• 9:52Benito Skinner?

I wouldn't want her to see this.

• 9:54Mary Beth Barone?

  It's not, that's private. It's not for.

• 9:57Benito Skinner?

But I, all to say, I don't think that's what the birthday vibe will give.

• 10:00Mary Beth Barone?

The birthday would be more jovial.

• 10:02Benito Skinner?

Cause once I get to the top, it's, this is how we do. Yeah. Till they lay back, straight, yeah, we do it like that. This is how we do. Do do do do. This is how we do.

• 10:16Mary Beth Barone?

Whoa, I just dropped my phone because I'm so excited to do ads for our longtime friend and collaborator AG1.

• 10:22Benito Skinner?

So it hasn't loaded on my phone yet, but I think you. Fire away.

• 10:28Mary Beth Barone?

Bulletproof, nothing to lose. My voice cracking.

• 10:31Benito Skinner?

  Fire away.

• 10:32Mary Beth Barone?

  Fire away.

• 10:34Benito Skinner?

  Whoa.

• 10:34Mary Beth Barone?

AG1, it's your daily health drink. One scoop contains 75 plus, literally. Who even knows? It's more than 75. That's all we know.

• 10:43Benito Skinner?

  It's good for your energy.

• 10:45Mary Beth Barone?

Minerals, pre and probiotics and superfoods to support whole body health. It supports energy, it improves digestion and gut health. It fills nutrient gaps in your diet and supports immune health. Do you want to talk about how AG1 makes you feel?

• 10:59Benito Skinner?

  So, yeah, good.

• 11:01Mary Beth Barone?

  Good.

• 11:02Benito Skinner?

  So there's this good.

• 11:04Mary Beth Barone?

  Yeah.

• 11:05Benito Skinner?

AG1 is fabulous. Also, do you know about the Next Gen? Introducing AG1 Next Gen.

• 11:09Mary Beth Barone?

I've only heard tell about it.

• 11:11Benito Skinner?

Because AG1 was good, but the Next Gen is great.

• 11:14Mary Beth Barone?

  Even better, baby.

• 11:15Benito Skinner?

So there's the original, which is the subtly sweet flavor of AG1, but with pineapple and vanilla. It's a little trip to the islands, in a way. Citrus, this is sweet, tangy. It's like lemon and orange. Tropical. Yes, vibrant fruity flavor. Hey, what'd you just call me?

• 11:34Mary Beth Barone?

It's not magic dust or a silver bullet. I have to say that, even though we were just saying bulletproof. But it provides a great foundation for the day, and I can tell it's making a difference in my gut and digestion.

• 11:44Benito Skinner?

They have these packets, but also the packets come in berry now. So you can take them on trips, because I'm really a regular on trips.

• 11:51Mary Beth Barone?

Give the new AG1 flavors a try today. If you head to drinkag1.com/ridepod, you will get a free welcome kit worth $76 when you subscribe, including five AG1 travel packs, a shaker, canister, and a scoop. That's drinkag1.com/ridepod to get started. As a card-carrying girl's girl, I have something to tell you.

• 12:14Benito Skinner?

That should be your link in bio.

• 12:15Mary Beth Barone?

That should be my link in bio.

• 12:17Benito Skinner?

Don't you? Oh, my goodness. And you really caught yourself a girl's girl.

• 12:22Mary Beth Barone?

This summer is not only about being sexy, it's about having a better morning after. You heard that right. You might be waking up in your own bed, or you might be waking up in someone else's. They may or may not have navy blue sheets, lol, that's none of my business. But it doesn't matter, because Juulie has you covered. The Juulie Morning After Pill uses the same trusted, gyno-recommended ingredient as Plan B to delay ovulation and prevent pregnancy when taken up to three days after unprotected sex. If there's no egg, there's no fertilization. You know it would be fun if we taught a class together, and I sort of get the information out, and then you're doing more riffs.

• 12:56Benito Skinner?

And kind of disseminating that information.

• 12:59Mary Beth Barone?

  And making it's to heck.

• 13:00Benito Skinner?

  Exactly.

• 13:01Mary Beth Barone?

If there's no fertilization, there's no pregnancy. It's called science, duh, women and STEM. The earlier you use it, the better it works. And when you need it, Julie should be your plan A, because it's more affordable than the leading competitor. Think of the savings as another drink on Julie. Yes! And the best part is that it's so easy to use. All it takes is one pill and you're ready to get on with your life. The morning after pill cannot end an existing pregnancy, and it won't affect further future fertility whatsoever. Do you want to read where girls, girls everywhere can find Julie?

• 15:26Mary Beth Barone?

Okay, on that note, I did want to say that I heard that there is a theory that Irish step dancing was invented so that

• 15:34Benito Skinner?

  Don't.

• 15:35Mary Beth Barone?

If British people walked by, the, I guess Irish people weren't allowed to dance or something?

• 15:40Benito Skinner?

  Felt loose, sure.

• 15:41Mary Beth Barone?

So if British people walked by a bar and they looked through the window, they wouldn't be able to tell that they were dancing because they weren't moving their upper bodies. This is just one theory. So you know how Irish step dancers only use their legs?

• 15:53Benito Skinner?

  Yeah.

• 15:53Mary Beth Barone?

And so they were like, fuck it, we're just gonna do it live, but we're gonna keep our upper bodies completely still.

• 15:58Benito Skinner?

  Wait, that is so mean.

• 15:59Mary Beth Barone?

And I just thought of you instantly.

• 16:01Benito Skinner?

Wait. That's when you think of me?

• 16:03Mary Beth Barone?

I don't know why, I just was like, I need to tell Benny that.

• 16:05Benito Skinner?

Well, of course you thought of me because I literally, I'm king of just moving my hips and the top stays, because I don't want to spill my drink and I also don't want to give too much.

• 16:13Mary Beth Barone?

  No, of course.

• 16:13Benito Skinner?

I'm kind of like, you can earn the top, like, but for now, I'm just gonna give you

• 16:17Mary Beth Barone?

  That.

• 16:18Benito Skinner?

  This little figure eight.

• 16:20Mary Beth Barone?

  Yeah.

• 16:20Benito Skinner?

That's what I tell people, just do a figure eight with your hips and if you can't, there's nothing I can do at that point.

• 16:25Mary Beth Barone?

  It's just.

• 16:26Benito Skinner?

Unfortunately, if I'm the, if I'm the dance instructor from Honey, at that point, if you can't do the figure eight.

• 16:30Mary Beth Barone?

  I said, I want Honey.

• 16:32Benito Skinner?

  Do not, don't Honey me.

• 16:34Mary Beth Barone?

Honey is a good movie. It was one of the first movies I ever saw that portrays like a predatory man in a position of power, like on like a young woman, creative. Because doesn't the record label guy want her to like have sex with him and she won't?

• 16:47Benito Skinner?

  I think so.

• 16:48Mary Beth Barone?

And then she like, he, she gets blacklisted.

• 16:50Benito Skinner?

  Same with Legally Blonde.

• 16:51Mary Beth Barone?

Yeah, oh my god, so true.

• 16:52Benito Skinner?

Yeah, as a kid, I was like, whoa.

• 16:54Mary Beth Barone?

And I did want to say, I read Mark Ronson's book. It's such a good book. It's called Night People.

• 16:58Benito Skinner?

  Wait, I need to.

• 16:59Mary Beth Barone?

And it's about him being a DJ in the nineties or becoming a DJ and then music producer and it's so good. And it made me nostalgic for a time in New York that I wasn't even there for. But there used to be a law, Giuliani wanted to like basically put an end to club culture because he said that it was like leading to more crime or whatever. So there was a law in New York.

• 17:18Benito Skinner?

  Leading to more crime?

• 17:18Mary Beth Barone?

  Yeah.

• 17:19Benito Skinner?

  Okay.

• 17:19Mary Beth Barone?

There was a law in New York, it was like an old law that they resurfaced, where you couldn't have people dancing in a venue unless you had like a dancing permit. So if the cops walked into a club that didn't have a dancing permit and there were people with their hands and their foot in the air at the same time, they could get shut down. So basically the cops would bust these clubs up and when they heard the cops were out there, Mark Ronson would have to put on like sitcom theme songs and everyone stops dancing and the cops come through and they're making sure no one's dancing and then they leave. But I just thought the law.

• 17:51Benito Skinner?

What is all this? Footloose is real, I'm finding.

• 17:55Mary Beth Barone?

And Giuliani is so stupid, but it was just funny to me that they were like, if we catch anyone with their arm and their foot in the air at the same time, you guys are so busted.

• 18:04Benito Skinner?

Describe that to me. That feels like a Disney Channel interstitial.

• 18:07Mary Beth Barone?

  Right.

• 18:07Benito Skinner?

Where you're on a trampoline. How the fuck are they?

• 18:09Mary Beth Barone?

  I don't know.

• 18:10Benito Skinner?

Are they fully in the air?

• 18:12Mary Beth Barone?

It's just one hand and one foot.

• 18:14Benito Skinner?

  Oh.

• 18:14Mary Beth Barone?

  Yeah.

• 18:15Benito Skinner?

Well, I kind of am always doing that.

• 18:16Mary Beth Barone?

I know. You'd be in jail.

• 18:18Benito Skinner?

  Arrest me.

• 18:19Mary Beth Barone?

  Take me away.

• 18:19Benito Skinner?

Arrest me. Impeach the cheetah. That's what I'd say is they slam me against the wall.

• 18:27Mary Beth Barone?

And please grab her by the brain.

• 18:29Benito Skinner?

God, I'm dying to grab a bitch by the brain.

• 18:32Mary Beth Barone?

Please grab a bitch by the brain. Those are just some factoids I brought to the pod.

• 18:36Benito Skinner?

Mark Ronson is a huge celeb crush for me.

• 18:38Mary Beth Barone?

  Oh, my god.

• 18:40Benito Skinner?

Do you know what Terry got me one time?

• 18:43Benito Skinner?

  Do you know this?

• 18:44Mary Beth Barone?

So you gave her a birthday video?

• 18:45Benito Skinner?

I said, because Terry works with Mark Ronson, and I said, all I want is just a video of Mark.

• 18:51Mary Beth Barone?

  You know what?

• 18:51Benito Skinner?

Saying happy birthday to me. And Mark literally did it. It was so cute.

• 18:54Mary Beth Barone?

He is such a king. His book gave me a lot of hope about like, straight guys who are able to like, write about emotion and like emotionality and their work and taking pride in their work. And it was a really quick read and I just really loved every second of it. Having said that, I once got a cameo. My friend Kira got me a cameo for my birthday from Simon Rex. This was pre Red Rocket.

• 19:14Benito Skinner?

Oh, yeah, you were early on him.

• 19:16Mary Beth Barone?

He calls me a little pamphlet girl because I had that viral pamphlet thing.

• 19:20Benito Skinner?

  Oh, my god.

• 19:20Mary Beth Barone?

Maybe the Ride, the Ride listeners, the Barone's don't know that my first ever thing that went viral was when I went on a date on vacation and I made a pamphlet for my family of FAQs.

• 19:30Benito Skinner?

  Oh, my god!

• 19:31Mary Beth Barone?

I just went viral. I was at my desk job at SoulCycle and I was going viral and it was so hard to just contain it. But basically then from, you know, it was picked up by like news channels. I did an interview with the BBC about this pamphlet. So then my friend Kira got me my birthday cameo.

• 19:45Benito Skinner?

Okay, press is press. Let's go.

• 19:48Mary Beth Barone?

It was insane. And it was like, it wasn't like Mary Beth Barone blank. It was like a woman in New York does blank. Yeah, pamphlet girl. So Simon Rex calls me a little pamphlet girl. It's pretty cool.

• 19:58Benito Skinner?

  I love that.

• 19:58Mary Beth Barone?

Actually, I'm gonna pull it up.

• 20:00Benito Skinner?

  Yeah.

• 20:00Mary Beth Barone?

I think it'd be fun for people to hear this.

• 20:01Benito Skinner?

  Yeah, let's hear it.

• 20:03Speaker 03

Hey, what's up, Mary Beth? Pamphlet girl, just wanna say from Kiki and me, happy 20th birthday. Just wanna say, you're a little pamphlet girl, you know what I mean? You wanna know where I'm at right now? I'm right here, in Los Angeles, at my boy's crib, waiting to get in and get some water and keep moving like a blood transfusion, not an illusion. And I love you so much, I wanna say happy birthday, girl.

• 20:25Mary Beth Barone?

Cause I think the cameo was like, please wish my friend, I wasn't turning 20 though, I don't know, I don't, it wasn't my 20th birthday.

• 20:31Benito Skinner?

  Yeah.

• 20:31Mary Beth Barone?

It was like, please tell my friend, call her a pamphlet girl, and just, we're wondering where you are.

• 20:35Benito Skinner?

I was thinking in that moment, so that's 13 years ago?

• 20:38Mary Beth Barone?

  No.

• 20:39Benito Skinner?

  But, totally.

• 20:41Mary Beth Barone?

  It wasn't.

• 20:41Benito Skinner?

I was like, yeah, he looks great.

• 20:43Mary Beth Barone?

He looks great, that's someone that I would say, I would love to connect. I would love to connect.

• 20:49Benito Skinner?

  Yeah, just shoot the shit.

• 20:50Mary Beth Barone?

Yeah, like hang out and talk about stuff.

• 20:52Benito Skinner?

I think I just want a big ol' bear hug from our cousin.

• 20:55Mary Beth Barone?

Totally, I think you're gonna get one.

• 20:56Benito Skinner?

  I'm definitely gonna get one.

• 20:57Mary Beth Barone?

I am not gonna talk about my dating life on the podcast until I've been married for at least five years, that's my new approach. It's just not something I'm gonna talk about. Sorry.

• 21:07Benito Skinner?

It's hard, I will say, the only change that I think has happened in RIDE is that sometimes I wanna share a little bit less, cause sometimes things get pulled, and I just wanna protect.

• 21:18Mary Beth Barone?

  Also.

• 21:19Benito Skinner?

People, and, and some private things, but, it is tricky, cause I wanna tell my kids everything, but sometimes it feels like it's not just for us.

• 21:26Mary Beth Barone?

I said that I thought weed was ruining this country, and it got clipped, and people got mad at me, they're like, this white woman, this white woman, I blame capitalism, I blame corporate greed, blah blah, I'm like, I'm joking.

• 21:36Benito Skinner?

And trust, you have blamed all those things as well.

• 21:39Mary Beth Barone?

Many times, if you don't know the full body of work, please don't come for me. And so then people were like, I also did a disclaimer saying if people use it to medicate, that I'm not talking about them, I'm talking about people who have really adverse reactions to being, like, stoned all the time, and I think that that is just like, I think people get sucked into holes, but, it's, you know, it's just one clip.

• 21:59Benito Skinner?

We know you, okay? Sometimes I think it's all bots commenting, cause I'm like, oh, you guys care that much to like, do this, that's the thing too, where I'm like, really?

• 22:06Mary Beth Barone?

And I'm just a little pamphlet girl. So please.

• 22:09Benito Skinner?

Standing in front of a boy.

• 22:11Mary Beth Barone?

  Asking him to love her.

• 22:12Benito Skinner?

I was gonna ride for Notting Hill today, but you wouldn't let me. There he goes on London again, you said, and then you slapped me twice.

• 22:18Mary Beth Barone?

I said, the London of it all, it's feeling a bit personal at this point. I've had enough. Stop trying to get me to go back there.

• 22:24Benito Skinner?

  Sorry.

• 22:24Mary Beth Barone?

I just think we've done a lot of movies. I think Notting Hill could be like our Christmas special or something.

• 22:29Benito Skinner?

And what I was saying earlier, oh, that's perfect. And what I was saying earlier, you know, about like, you're so, you know, you are anti-capitalist. You are these things. So today we're gonna get into.

• 22:41Mary Beth Barone?

  Dyson!

• 22:43Benito Skinner?

  The great Dyson debate.

• 22:44Mary Beth Barone?

  So.

• 22:45Benito Skinner?

This is so unpaid. I'm looking to camera. Look to camera.

• 22:48Mary Beth Barone?

Here's the thing, it couldn't be more unpaid.

• 22:50Benito Skinner?

  Unpaid.

• 22:50Mary Beth Barone?

I have multiple Dyson products. None of them have ever been gifted no discount. And I've encouraged others to buy with no discount.

• 22:56Benito Skinner?

I know. So I'm riding for the Dyson hairdryer.

• 23:00Mary Beth Barone?

And I'm riding for the Dyson vacuum.

• 23:02Benito Skinner?

  It's called the Airblade?

• 23:03Mary Beth Barone?

  Airwrap, I think.

• 23:04Benito Skinner?

It's the airwrap. Oh, totally. It's a wrap.

• 23:06Mary Beth Barone?

  Wait, where are we going?

• 23:07Benito Skinner?

  Who cares? Ride!

• 23:10Mary Beth Barone?

The Dyson vacuum cleaner is just one of my favorite things I've ever purchased.

• 23:16Benito Skinner?

So sometimes there are these words on TikTok that get demonetized. And then they get in my brain as like what the word actually is. So then when people want to say rape, they say rap. They say rap?

• 23:28Mary Beth Barone?

  Really?

• 23:28Benito Skinner?

Sometimes. And I'm like, what? And it just, so yeah, so I just had.

• 23:32Mary Beth Barone?

So it's the Dyson air rape.

• 23:33Benito Skinner?

And I'm so glad I could say that here.

• 23:34Mary Beth Barone?

  Yeah. And we're keeping that.

• 23:36Benito Skinner?

  Well, of course.

• 23:37Mary Beth Barone?

  Yep. Trigger warning.

• 23:39Benito Skinner?

But we're not getting paid to say this. In fact, like our hard earned coins are going to Dyson and when we're happy to do that.

• 23:47Mary Beth Barone?

And I do wanna say that Dyson's.

• 23:49Benito Skinner?

Yeah, what do you wanna say?

• 23:50Mary Beth Barone?

It's health privilege, it's travel privilege, it's a luxury to have a Dyson. I'm not saying that anyone should feel pressured to buy. They do go on sale sometimes. You can get them at like Best Buy, you can get them at Target, Walmart, things like that. I don't want people to feel like there's a disconnect between what we're talking about and people's day to day lives. I feel like a vacuum cleaner is something you can have for so many years. It's worth the investment. Sharks. I'm here today offering you 10% of my business for $40 million. You're my Mark Cuban, Henny.

• 24:22Benito Skinner?

Oh, I am so Mark Cuban.

• 24:23Mary Beth Barone?

I like Mark Cuban. I don't want to hear anything bad about him, so please don't tell me. There's maybe baronies that are saving up to get a Dyson. They don't have one yet, and that's totally fine.

• 24:31Benito Skinner?

Also, you don't have to have one. Sometimes you can just see one in someone's house and like, let it rip.

• 24:35Mary Beth Barone?

And you pick it up and you fucking vacuum.

• 24:37Benito Skinner?

  And you go to fuck.

• 24:37Mary Beth Barone?

And it's awesome. I vacuum every day, sometimes twice a day.

• 24:43Benito Skinner?

I have so many stories of you vacuuming my house.

• 24:46Mary Beth Barone?

  I vacuum your house.

• 24:47Benito Skinner?

This chick woke up in my, this chick's using my fucking Dyson this morning.

• 24:51Mary Beth Barone?

Why are you vacuuming my house?

• 24:53Benito Skinner?

God, there's so much ride lore amongst Dyson products.

• 24:56Mary Beth Barone?

Amongst Dyson alone. And so I think Dyson was created by a Brit, or is he Australian? The Dyson guy?

• 25:02Benito Skinner?

Oh, to me, I was just like Swedish and I kind of went, uh, as I thought about it, but maybe not.

• 25:07Mary Beth Barone?

  I don't know. I don't know.

• 25:07Benito Skinner?

To me, it was like Stockholm 100%, but maybe not.

• 25:10Mary Beth Barone?

  I think he's British.

• 25:11Benito Skinner?

Oh, God, just like the lines.

• 25:13Mary Beth Barone?

Yeah. So here's what I ride for about the Dyson.

• 25:16Benito Skinner?

  You go first today.

• 25:17Mary Beth Barone?

So in my family home, we have these really powerful vacuums. They're called Electrolux vacuums, and it's like a whole production to take them out of the closet.

• 25:24Benito Skinner?

When moms and dads plug those into walls that like suck out the shit.

• 25:28Mary Beth Barone?

The lights in the whole house flicker. Yeah.

• 25:30Benito Skinner?

  Yeah, it's like.

• 25:31Mary Beth Barone?

  It's a lot of power.

• 25:32Benito Skinner?

I used to put those on my mouth.

• 25:36Mary Beth Barone?

And again, baronies, we're not saying everything we talk about on here is going to be relatable. Some things are unique experiences and like having a Dyson might be that, putting a vacuum on your mouth might be that. So.

• 25:46Benito Skinner?

  Come on.

• 25:47Mary Beth Barone?

  I.

• 25:48Benito Skinner?

There wasn't that much to do in Idaho.

• 25:49Mary Beth Barone?

I know. And those vacuum cleaners, like, like there's a guy that comes to fix them. They're not things that you can just like fix if they break. So those are really high-power, heavy-duty. We had one on each floor of my house.

• 25:59Benito Skinner?

Can I just say something? Six kids.

• 26:01Mary Beth Barone?

Six kids. So when I had my own space, I obviously needed something a little less cumbersome. And I needed something that was easy to take out and easy to use. And I have one room. I live in a studio. I just want to remind everyone, when you think I'm out here living this flashy lifestyle, I have a studio apartment. But what I love about the studio is you can see every speck of dust from any angle, and it does smell like sakes. And I need a Dyson air purifier one of these days.

• 26:24Benito Skinner?

  Oh, do they have those?

• 26:25Mary Beth Barone?

  I think they do.

• 26:26Benito Skinner?

  Okay.

• 26:27Mary Beth Barone?

But I haven't invested yet. So the Dyson vacuum was something that I experienced in other people's homes first. And I just said to myself, I know it's a little pricey, but for me, where I'm at in my life right now, you can see any speck of dust from any point in my apartment. So I invested in a Dyson when I got my place, and I have never looked back. I vacuum at least once a day, sometimes twice. I have Pinky, of course, she sheds a little bit. I vacuum the couch, I vacuum the carpet, I vacuum the hardwood, I keep that thing charged. And I vacuum in other people's homes because it's gratifying to me. I like being able to see a messy floor get clean. And I found out recently, they make a kids Dyson. So if you have a kid, that's like a little homemaker.

• 27:09Benito Skinner?

  You're kidding.

• 27:10Mary Beth Barone?

Gay. Poor girl. You can get them a little vacuum.

• 27:16Benito Skinner?

Look what I got you, sweetie.

• 27:17Mary Beth Barone?

  Exactly.

• 27:18Benito Skinner?

  Whoa.

• 27:19Mary Beth Barone?

  Yeah.

• 27:19Benito Skinner?

Okay, I know what I'm gonna do. I have little chitlins.

• 27:22Mary Beth Barone?

  When you have little chitlins.

• 27:23Benito Skinner?

Let me get them for my nieces and nephews.

• 27:24Mary Beth Barone?

It's just fun and it's cute. And I, I love that it's so easy to use. And for a girl like me, it's all about simplicity. So I love the Dyson vacuum. And it's easy to, it's easy to empty. But one thing I will say is that I've made the mistake of, so you open the trapdoor. It's like on a, it's like in theater. It has a trapdoor, you open it.

• 27:42Benito Skinner?

Yeah, of course. Well, there's drama.

• 27:44Mary Beth Barone?

But when you push the thing back in, the dust falls again. So you always have to close the bottom before you push the top back down.

• 27:50Benito Skinner?

And everyone listening knows that, but that is really sweet that you said it.

• 27:52Mary Beth Barone?

You're gonna visualize it. I've gotten dust on my floor a lot. But you know what I do right after? I just vacuum.

• 27:56Benito Skinner?

Vacuum again. And then you go, yes!

• 27:58Mary Beth Barone?

  Yeah.

• 27:58Benito Skinner?

  You get excited.

• 27:59Mary Beth Barone?

It's, it's circular in that way.

• 28:02Benito Skinner?

So when you do it, I think what's strange is that you didn't describe what you're wearing. Because usually you're completely naked with heels on.

• 28:08Mary Beth Barone?

  Well.

• 28:08Benito Skinner?

  With the Chanel, Chanel wedges.

• 28:11Mary Beth Barone?

Our friend Emily accidentally posted a video of her Dyson-ing completely naked on TikTok, and she got banned.

• 28:18Benito Skinner?

  She got banned for life.

• 28:19Mary Beth Barone?

She meant to not post it, or I think she wanted to post it privately.

• 28:21Benito Skinner?

  It was private.

• 28:22Mary Beth Barone?

It was for no one but her. But she, she's like, holding the stem. And she fully got banned. Like, her account will never be recovered.

• 28:29Benito Skinner?

  She showed lips.

• 28:29Mary Beth Barone?

  It's porn.

• 28:30Benito Skinner?

So she showed lip on TikTok.

• 28:32Mary Beth Barone?

  On a kid's app.

• 28:36Mary Beth Barone?

So anyway. Release the Epstein files.

• 28:40Benito Skinner?

Okay, here's my thing. I always think like we're gonna get some document like where are the Epstein? Like I want it. I want this book.

• 28:46Mary Beth Barone?

Also, someone in the Biden administration knows what it said at least because surely they've read it. I'm just so confused by the whole thing.

• 28:52Benito Skinner?

Oh, I know. They were in there going, they were licking his page going, oh shit. Oh, my God.

• 28:57Mary Beth Barone?

I think it's gonna totally like undercut everything we know about society and people.

• 29:03Benito Skinner?

  Or affirm.

• 29:04Mary Beth Barone?

Or affirm, but no, I think there's gonna be some people in it that we're gonna be really like hurt by. We're gonna be hurt.

• 29:09Benito Skinner?

I think over the past like 10 years, if you haven't already been used to getting hurt pretty consistently, like I think maybe.

• 29:15Mary Beth Barone?

But some people have trouble letting heroes go. As you know, I'm not one of them. I cut people out almost immediately.

• 29:20Benito Skinner?

It is what it is at this point.

• 29:22Mary Beth Barone?

  Sue me, I wanna be.

• 29:23Benito Skinner?

Oh, Sue me, I wanna be Kwame. I so understand that song, by the way. So here's my thing about the Dyson vacuums. Mary Beth loved her so much that I got one because anything my wife does, I know I could do bigger and better.

• 29:36Mary Beth Barone?

  Totally. It's Mia Hamm.

• 29:38Benito Skinner?

  It's so Mia Hamm.

• 29:39Mary Beth Barone?

Mia Hamm, Michael Jordan. Anything you could do, I could do better. Remember those ads?

• 29:43Benito Skinner?

Oh, I do remember that. Mia Hamm was on everyone's wall. She was the name on every kid's lips.

• 29:49Mary Beth Barone?

I did love Mia Hamm, but I was more into like sports that were more dance based, gymnastics, that sort of thing.

• 29:55Benito Skinner?

  Irish.

• 29:56Mary Beth Barone?

Irish stuff, yeah. No upper body movement.

• 29:59Benito Skinner?

So there's this Riverdance. I love Riverdance. I used to watch it as a kid. So that's so funny to me that you. Oh, my God. There was this girl I went to elementary school with who was an Irish dancer.

• 30:09Mary Beth Barone?

  Liam, obviously.

• 30:10Benito Skinner?

Oh, God. Here's my thing. It's such an eye roll when someone like has something like that because then they're always bringing it to like show and tell or talent shows.

• 30:17Mary Beth Barone?

  Because the costumes.

• 30:18Benito Skinner?

And it's like, there she goes again. She had ringlet curls. I was pissed. I was like, fuck, there she goes again. No, I was like, fuck, like, she's not even doing it, right? Like she has no stage presence. I don't know.

• 30:32Mary Beth Barone?

  Shout out to her.

• 30:34Benito Skinner?

  I know she's good.

• 30:36Mary Beth Barone?

So have you ever heard of a data broker?

• 30:38Benito Skinner?

Yeah, yeah, I was with one for years.

• 30:40Mary Beth Barone?

Yeah, I remember. Weird era alert. They're the middlemen collecting and selling all those digital footprints you leave online. They can stitch together detailed profiles, which include your browsing history, online searches, and location data.

• 30:52Benito Skinner?

The data broker or the data broker, it just depends on your vibe.

• 30:55Mary Beth Barone?

  Yeah.

• 30:55Benito Skinner?

They sell your profile off to a company who delivers you a really targeted ad. And it's like, that's no biggie, right? Like, that's kind of cool. Well, you might be surprised to learn that these same data brokers are also selling your information to the Department of Homeland Security, Homeland Security, and the IRS.

• 31:12Mary Beth Barone?

And so they know what you're watching. I for one don't want the taxman showing up at my door because of some search I did on my phone.

• 31:18Benito Skinner?

  Open up!

• 31:18Mary Beth Barone?

  Hello?

• 31:19Benito Skinner?

  Open up!

• 31:20Mary Beth Barone?

Who is it? Pinky, Pinky, stop. Who is it?

• 31:22Benito Skinner?

Ma'am, you looked up the lyrics to all of Romi Mars's songs for six days in a row.

• 31:29Mary Beth Barone?

So to mask my digital footprints, I protect myself with ExpressVPN.

• 31:34Benito Skinner?

So here's the thing. It's one of the easiest ways for data brokers to track you is through your device's unique IP address, which also reveals information about your location. With ExpressVPN, your IP address is hidden. That makes it much more difficult for data brokers to monitor, track, and monetize your private online activity. I mean, my God, they're just [BLEEP] with you, bleep it.

• 31:53Mary Beth Barone?

ExpressVPN also encrypts 100% of your network traffic. To keep your data safe from hackers when you're on public Wi-Fi, which we are a lot, travel privilege, ExpressVPN works on all your devices: phone, tablet, laptop, you name it. Just tap one button to turn it on and you're protected. It's that easy.

• 32:09Benito Skinner?

That easy. So I used ExpressVPN recently when we were in Canada.

• 32:13Mary Beth Barone?

When you're in Cincinnati, I love.

• 32:15Benito Skinner?

When I was in Cincinnati, it was totally broad! No, we were in Canada and we needed to watch "And Just Like That." And remember?

• 32:21Mary Beth Barone?

  Oh my God.

• 32:21Benito Skinner?

Remember you're like, "How are we gonna watch?" And I flipped my computer to you and I turned on ExpressVPN. I go, "Sweetie, we're in Miami, trick."

• 32:41Mary Beth Barone?

Remember when I kind of sort of infamously wrote for doing the thing? I was talking about that doctor's appointment you were supposed to make a while ago. Now, one you meant to book, but you got sidetracked because you were on TikTok for 17 hours and you completely forgot about it until now. And your knee hurts, dude!

• 32:56Benito Skinner?

Some of these ads are really cuck-based.

• 32:58Mary Beth Barone?

  No, they're super cuck-based.

• 32:59Benito Skinner?

Oh, yeah, because you'd never do it because you don't do anything, uh? You do what your mommy tells you. You do what your mommy tells you.

• 33:05Mary Beth Barone?

I want to make a ride products catalog where it's like the Yorkville dress, the cuck chair, like you rename all the products.

• 33:10Benito Skinner?

  The Elia.

• 33:11Mary Beth Barone?

  The Elia!

• 33:12Benito Skinner?

  The Elia!

• 33:13Mary Beth Barone?

They don't even know about the Elia yet.

  Yes, tachylimus.

• 33:35Mary Beth Barone?

  Tachylimus.

• 33:35Benito Skinner?

It burns so bad when I put it on. My eyes were watering all through watching Weapons, but it's gone.

• 34:34Benito Skinner?

  So.

• 34:35Mary Beth Barone?

  The Dyson.

• 34:36Benito Skinner?

The Dyson. So I got one. And I'm not a huge vacuumer, but I will say as far as like the OCD side of my brain, it is really fabulous to see the rug start to shift. And kind of go. And I love playing Sabrina Carpenter as I do it and I kind of move my hips and my stomach and just kind of. The really incredible thing. Dyson has these things where it's like the use of a ball. So. Do you know what I mean?

• 35:00Mary Beth Barone?

  The use.

• 35:01Benito Skinner?

Of a ball. It's like. You want to talk about new shapes. It's like you can, you can do like kind of an, you know, I'm so glad now this is a visual pod. So everyone, once you get home tonight, put this on the boob tube and you got to see me do this. But it's like.

• 35:18Mary Beth Barone?

It's a whole new range of motion.

• 35:20Benito Skinner?

It can get into crevasses. It's just, it's incredible under tables. So I got one of these, but I'm going to tell you a little story about a boy who was staying at a studio apartment. Not luxury, not big Hollywood type shit, just a studio apartment.

• 35:37Mary Beth Barone?

  Humble beginning.

• 35:38Benito Skinner?

  Humble.

• 35:39Mary Beth Barone?

  Where I'm still at.

• 35:40Benito Skinner?

Very humble. Wait, where do you put your vacuum? Sorry. Now I'm trying to think. Is it in your closet?

• 35:44Mary Beth Barone?

I put it in the closet with the washer.

• 35:45Benito Skinner?

Cause what's incredible about the Dyson is there's kind of this hook.

• 35:48Mary Beth Barone?

I don't have the hook. You have to screw that in the wall, which I don't use. I don't use power drills. It's just not.

• 35:53Benito Skinner?

  I'll see you.

• 35:54Mary Beth Barone?

  Part of my life.

• 35:55Benito Skinner?

But I'll make sure that when I put it into your apartment, that you see me do it because you don't believe that I changed the shower.

• 36:01Mary Beth Barone?

Sometimes I'll call you and you have a wrench in your hand and I'm just like, where the fuck are you sticking that?

• 36:05Benito Skinner?

I was so happy you called when I had a wrench in my hand.

• 36:07Mary Beth Barone?

I don't know what that was. It's weird. Weird to see that.

• 36:11Benito Skinner?

But kind of with my scruff and that, you were like, I do think you're going to fall for me soon. It's just my big thing. I'm going to get an email.

• 36:19Mary Beth Barone?

Oh yeah. Oh my God. One day I'm going to ride for my emails, her emails, but not, you're going to ride for my professional emails. I'm going to ride for my personal ones.

• 36:26Benito Skinner?

  Release the emails.

• 36:27Mary Beth Barone?

I have confronted so many people over email. It's going to shock you.

• 36:30Benito Skinner?

  Nothing shocks me.

• 36:32Mary Beth Barone?

  Sumio wannabe.

• 36:33Benito Skinner?

That's how it starts. So I walk into this bathroom and I go, can I use your hairdryer? Because you know, it's like, I want to, I want to get the coiff going. And you're like, yeah, of course. Here it is. You take it out, this Dyson air wrap.

• 36:47Mary Beth Barone?

Well, I don't have the air wrap. I have the other one.

• 36:49Benito Skinner?

You have the, the circle one.

• 36:50Mary Beth Barone?

Hairdryer. Yeah. I'm just going to look up what it's called.

• 36:52Benito Skinner?

  What's it called?

• 36:53Mary Beth Barone?

Super Sonic. It's just a Dyson Super Sonic hairdryer.

• 36:55Benito Skinner?

  So there's this supersonic hypnotic.

• 36:58Mary Beth Barone?

  Hypnotic.

• 37:00Benito Skinner?

Hair dryer. So she pulls it out of a dust bag. You had it in a dust bag.

• 37:05Mary Beth Barone?

Yeah, I have, but it comes in a leather case.

• 37:07Benito Skinner?

Yeah, other people bring it out and it's like either they're taking out an AK-47 or a Dyson Airblade.

• 37:12Mary Beth Barone?

  Yeah.

• 37:13Benito Skinner?

So to me, it's the Airblade or the wrap, I think, is if you're curling your hair.

• 37:17Mary Beth Barone?

  Sure.

• 37:17Benito Skinner?

  So I'm not doing that.

• 37:18Mary Beth Barone?

The wrap is like a wand.

• 37:19Benito Skinner?

  Yeah.

• 37:19Mary Beth Barone?

Which I love and it works really well. Once you have some time with it, you have to practice. You have to flick the wrist. It's not just something you could do right away.

• 37:26Benito Skinner?

Of course. Did I tell you about the time when I had glam, glam privilege came to, I was in, where was I? I think I was in Paris randomly. Sorry.

• 37:37Mary Beth Barone?

  Travel privilege.

• 37:38Benito Skinner?

  Travel privilege as well.

• 37:39Mary Beth Barone?

  We're losing them.

• 37:40Benito Skinner?

God damn it. They just left.

• 37:42Mary Beth Barone?

The Bronies just turned over to us in the morning and they said, you're losing me.

• 37:44Benito Skinner?

They said Dyson and glam, fuck you guys. Fuck everything you stand for. And after they say that, they light up a huge blunt.

• 37:52Mary Beth Barone?

  Yeah, and they.

• 37:55Benito Skinner?

They hit a bong and they go to work. Two middle fingers up. Fuck Mary Beth Brown. Fuck Benito Skinner. And I'll never watch Queer as Folk. That's what they said. What was I saying?

• 38:07Mary Beth Barone?

  You're in Paris.

• 38:08Benito Skinner?

This guy comes and I say like, oh yeah, I'm kind of thinking about doing like the freckle trend. So I'm like, you know, where you do like freckles.

• 38:15Mary Beth Barone?

  When was this?

• 38:16Benito Skinner?

This was like two years ago. I was like, yeah, do freckles on me. Cause actually Katie Jane Hughes, who's unbelievable, we love so much. She did my makeup one time and did freckles and it was so cute. So this is where there are levels to every field. And so this man comes in and I'm like, yeah, freckles. And I was like, and then I might just do like curly hair. He takes out a mini curling iron, which I kind of have curly hair. Like if you just put some like, you know, curl cream in it, we're kind of good to go if you use a diffuser, which the Dyson diffuser head is like fucking insane. It dries your hair in like two seconds. Blake used it on me and overcompensating. Blake, we love you. We miss you. He like. So this man then takes out a mini curler and starts curling individual hairs on my head. And I just think that's probably not how anyone else has done it, but who knows?

• 39:01Benito Skinner?

  Viva la France.

• 39:02Mary Beth Barone?

Viva la France, the French Dispatch.

• 39:03Benito Skinner?

Exactly. Once he was done with everything, he quickly left. He was very sweet. He fled the scene because he knew what he had done. He had turned a man into orphan Annie. I looked in the mirror.

• 39:15Mary Beth Barone?

I have an orphan Annie story.

• 39:16Benito Skinner?

  Hey, everyone does.

• 39:17Mary Beth Barone?

  I'm gonna tell it.

• 39:18Benito Skinner?

I looked in the mirror after. I just immediately started laughing. I had to immediately shower. I didn't go to the event because it's kind of like when you had dry skin at school. It's like, well, I'm just not.

• 39:29Mary Beth Barone?

  I just left.

• 39:29Benito Skinner?

  Yeah.

• 39:29Mary Beth Barone?

  There's no point.

• 39:30Benito Skinner?

No, I was just like, this can't be saved and I'm not starting from scratch. So I guess this is what it is. But yeah, I was fully orphan Annie and it was a hard knock life.

• 39:38Mary Beth Barone?

So in middle school, my mom and I were always playing with different ways to do my hair. Cause I was like, even as a young woman, I was a glamour girl. I would make her give me blowouts a lot. We would use her. She had hot curlers that we used that always led to like this just sort of beautiful, like very classic curl. But then we tried those like Styrofoam, like curlers.

• 39:58Benito Skinner?

  Yeah, yeah, of course.

• 39:59Mary Beth Barone?

So you sleep in them. So they were really, really small. So I go to bed, this is probably fifth grade.

• 40:05Benito Skinner?

Oh, if you get the really small ones.

• 40:07Mary Beth Barone?

I go to bed with wet hair with those in. We learned a big lesson the next day. And you know what? We learned it the minute she took the first one out. And instead of the hair falling, it went back to my head, full orphan Annie. It's so tight to my head. We both start laughing hysterically. I'm like, we have to go to school, but I had to shower. We both just go, we're gonna be late for school today. Because I was sitting in my mom's dressing room. We're just looking back at each other through the mirror and we just go, oh my God. It was so.

• 40:35Benito Skinner?

  There's no image.

• 40:36Mary Beth Barone?

  My, no.

• 40:37Benito Skinner?

  God.

• 40:38Mary Beth Barone?

We didn't, we didn't have iPhones back then.

• 40:39Benito Skinner?

I would pay anything for the video of that.

• 40:42Mary Beth Barone?

We can do that. We'll do it to me. I'll have my mom put the curlers back in just for fun as an experiment. But when that first curl just back to the head, I go, ooh. I go, ooh.

• 40:53Benito Skinner?

  So, so there's this orphan.

• 40:55Mary Beth Barone?

  Anyway.

• 40:56Benito Skinner?

  Fuck.

• 40:56Mary Beth Barone?

  I'll never forget that. So.

• 40:58Benito Skinner?

  God, I would die. So.

• 41:00Mary Beth Barone?

  You have to experiment.

• 41:01Benito Skinner?

Hey, all to say, I, I go and Mary Beth hands me this hairdryer that dries my hair in two seconds. Fluffy, delicious. The waves are there. It's kind of one of the best hair days of my life. Soft, delicious. It didn't use any heat randomly. It was like a whisper of heat.

• 41:17Mary Beth Barone?

  Yeah.

• 41:18Benito Skinner?

And it was just, oh my God. And then I did the Cool Shot and I did that on my face.

• 41:23Mary Beth Barone?

  Ooh.

• 41:23Benito Skinner?

  Practically into my mouth again.

• 41:25Mary Beth Barone?

  Yeah.

• 41:25Benito Skinner?

Um, oh. Hey, and dear media, clip that. So, yeah, I just was like, what a fabulous tool. And it just felt like I was holding science.

• 41:35Mary Beth Barone?

  Totally.

• 41:36Benito Skinner?

And architecture and design and design integrity, which I think is Dyson's whole thing, if I had to say.

• 41:42Mary Beth Barone?

They have a new hairdryer that looks like one of the Muppets noses. It's that shape.

• 41:46Benito Skinner?

So Blake Arseneult, who did all the hair on overcompensating and his genius, he, yeah, he had this.

• 41:52Mary Beth Barone?

  He whipped that thing out.

• 41:53Benito Skinner?

He whipped this out kind of mid shoot.

• 41:55Mary Beth Barone?

  Mid shoot.

• 41:55Benito Skinner?

He did my hair and it, it took two seconds and then there was a diffuser head on it. And so this is where I got into like the Dyson diffusers. By the way, I still don't have a Dyson. Like I just don't dry my hair enough to really need that.

• 42:08Mary Beth Barone?

  Need one.

• 42:08Benito Skinner?

But I think it would consume my life if I did. I mean, I'd be giving everyone blowouts.

• 42:12Mary Beth Barone?

  Totally.

• 42:13Benito Skinner?

If they came in my house.

• 42:13Mary Beth Barone?

  Yeah.

• 42:14Benito Skinner?

And I know I could figure out how to use the.

• 42:15Mary Beth Barone?

I am so good at giving people blowouts. I'm good at curling hair. I'm good at straightening. I can really do it all.

• 42:21Benito Skinner?

  The throat goat.

• 42:23Mary Beth Barone?

The throat goat. I love Dyson products. I wish they were a little more accessible. I would say if we could get the people who create Dyson products to work on clean energy, maybe a new type of car that doesn't use gas, maybe planes that are more environmentally friendly. Cancer research, let's get these minds on some of society's toughest problems because they're doing really good work.

• 42:46Benito Skinner?

Whoever let me do a flick of the wrist to get under a fricking side table, like I know you've got more in you.

• 42:51Mary Beth Barone?

  I agree.

• 42:52Benito Skinner?

I know there's more that I've got to see.

• 42:53Mary Beth Barone?

I agree. So you have our attention. You have our support. Let us know how we can help.

• 42:58Benito Skinner?

Everyone who works at Dyson also works at Lego in my head.

• 43:01Mary Beth Barone?

  Totally.

• 43:01Benito Skinner?

  Do you get that?

• 43:02Mary Beth Barone?

And remember when we were going to be on Lego Masters the one time?

• 43:05Benito Skinner?

  Oh.

• 43:05Mary Beth Barone?

We've had a lot of like close calls with like being and stuff, like that, just as ourselves.

• 43:11Benito Skinner?

Kind of a failure to launch for us.

• 43:12Mary Beth Barone?

Failure to launch. Yeah, but it's good to have the conversation.

• 43:15Benito Skinner?

Do you know how hard it is to be in the same place? Like what a gift today is.

• 43:18Mary Beth Barone?

Especially if it's not like this city or. LA, New York, that sort of vibe.

• 43:22Benito Skinner?

  Come here.

• 43:25Mary Beth Barone?

  That's where I'm at.

• 43:25Benito Skinner?

  How are you doing?

• 43:27Mary Beth Barone?

I'm not good, but I've actually been not lying to people when they ask me how I'm doing. I just say I'm bad.

• 43:31Benito Skinner?

  Yeah.

• 43:32Mary Beth Barone?

  I am bad.

• 43:32Benito Skinner?

  We've been laughing a lot.

• 43:33Mary Beth Barone?

We've been laughing a lot, which has really restored me. I'm losing my voice. I have to do an hour of stand up tomorrow.

• 43:38Benito Skinner?

  Jesus.

• 43:38Mary Beth Barone?

So I think we should wrap it up.

• 43:40Benito Skinner?

  Guess who's coming?

• 43:40Mary Beth Barone?

  Dyson Air, wrap it up.

• 43:42Benito Skinner?

Dyson Air, wrap it up. This is the big Dyson Air rap.

• 43:46Mary Beth Barone?

  Sumi, I wanna be.

• 43:47Benito Skinner?

Sumi, I wanna be. Oh, playing Sumi while using a Dyson vacuum?

• 43:51Mary Beth Barone?

  Yeah.

• 43:51Benito Skinner?

  Porn.

• 43:52Mary Beth Barone?

Whoa, whoa. And you know what? Pinky doesn't even mind the Dyson. She doesn't. She doesn't mind it.

• 43:57Benito Skinner?

Well, she knew early she it's, you know.

• 43:59Mary Beth Barone?

It's a friend, not foe. This is a huge, this is part of the family.

• 44:03Benito Skinner?

  Learn how to live together.

• 44:03Mary Beth Barone?

My Christmas card, it's me, Pinky and the Dyson. And that's cool, I think.

• 44:09Benito Skinner?

I think I should be in it this year.

• 44:11Mary Beth Barone?

  Yeah.

• 44:12Benito Skinner?

  We're having sex.

• 44:13Mary Beth Barone?

  Hey, happy Christmas.

• 44:15Benito Skinner?

Happy Christmas. Okay, so there's kind of no need to ride or die.

• 44:20Mary Beth Barone?

  It's a carpool without carpooling.

• 44:22Benito Skinner?

It's a carpool without carpool. Well, we just wanted to show off more products.

• 44:26Mary Beth Barone?

More capitalism and yeah, I guess it's just like the podcast is for fun. And if we're talking about things that make you feel alienated, like a Dyson vacuum, for example, like I am sorry, I hope you've enjoyed the conversation.

• 44:38Benito Skinner?

  Yeah.

• 44:38Mary Beth Barone?

I just like, I don't, I do want to make people feel like this is a safe space. We're not just talking about like consumption.

• 44:44Benito Skinner?

But we have to shout out product innovation.

• 44:46Mary Beth Barone?

  Totally, and science.

• 44:48Benito Skinner?

  Yeah.

• 44:48Mary Beth Barone?

And it's like galaxy brain, yeah, sometimes we gotta honor things that you have to pay for. You know?

• 44:54Benito Skinner?

  What are you gonna do?

• 44:55Mary Beth Barone?

  Yeah.

• 44:55Benito Skinner?

So we're all happy to have you here. And I do, I want to also say, you know, I'm starting to think that maybe my 40th birthday could also include not only the design team and PR for Dyson, which I'm hoping they reach out after this. I mean, I can only imagine.

• 45:10Mary Beth Barone?

I know what you're gonna say.

• 45:11Benito Skinner?

But I hope a lot of baronies are there too.

• 45:14Mary Beth Barone?

And it's obviously in partnership with crematory.

• 45:18Mary Beth Barone?

  And the Millennial Cemetery.

• 45:19Benito Skinner?

Well, there will be a rock gym in crematory.

• 45:22Mary Beth Barone?

  Of course.

• 45:22Benito Skinner?

  Yeah, of course.

• 45:24Mary Beth Barone?

  There will be.

• 45:25Benito Skinner?

  Yeah.

• 45:25Mary Beth Barone?

  It's all white.

• 45:26Benito Skinner?

  There's something so crazy.

• 45:27Mary Beth Barone?

You can't see the things because it's all white.

• 45:29Benito Skinner?

Like, I've been best friends with someone for years. I know a who like goes to a rock climbing gym.

• 45:34Mary Beth Barone?

  Yeah.

• 45:35Benito Skinner?

That's range on my end of things, I would say. Like, that's range. You don't see that every day.

• 45:40Mary Beth Barone?
