Lifestyles of the rich and the famous, and also lifestyles of the relatable regulars. Today, we're lifting the veil on the biggest social events in every social class. Wow, good for you.

• 0:15Rachel Cruze?

Yes, we are peers, George. Stop trying to elevate me.

• 0:18George Kamel?

  She's just like us.

• 0:18Rachel Cruze?

Stop trying to elevate me. Do you trust the rides?

• 0:21George Kamel?

You don't, but that's kind of part of the fun.

• 0:23Rachel Cruze?

  Okay.

• 0:28Rachel Cruze?

  Hey, guys, I'm Rachel Cruz.

• 0:30George Kamel?

  I'm George Kamel.

• 0:32Rachel Cruze?

  And this is

• 0:33George Kamel?

  Smart Money Happy Hour.

• 0:35Rachel Cruze?

  George, this is

• 0:41Rachel Cruze?

  this is a pool.

• 0:42George Kamel?

It's the heaviest drink we've had on this show so far. I mean, I lift a lot of weights. This is probably a 10-pounder.

• 0:49Rachel Cruze?

Well, this is the show where two friends who happen to be money experts talk about what you're talking about. So everything from pop culture, current events, and money.

• 0:56George Kamel?

But first, let's talk about this beautiful monstrosity.

• 0:58Rachel Cruze?

  I mean, yeah.

• 1:01George Kamel?

This is a cranberry lime mocktail. You wouldn't believe it. It looks like a big gulp, but there is no alcohol in it, which is probably for the best. We're going to give you our rating and reveal the cost per glass at the end of the episode. You'll want to stick around for that. I think it's going to be a good one.

• 1:15Rachel Cruze?

Yeah, my knee jerk is that it's fantastic.

• 1:18George Kamel?

  Love a knee jerk.

• 1:19Rachel Cruze?

All right, George, you know, it's about to be May. It's gonna be May. I was gonna do the same thing, too.

• 1:26George Kamel?

  You have to do it.

• 1:26Rachel Cruze?

  Yes, I know.

• 1:28George Kamel?

It's a millennial rite of passage.

• 1:29Rachel Cruze?

So do you know what that means? What does May bring?

• 1:31George Kamel?

Free queso all month for Cinco de Mayo.

• 1:35Rachel Cruze?

No, but that fits the glasses, though.

• 1:37George Kamel?

It does. Very Cinco de Mayo.

• 1:39Rachel Cruze?

No, it's the Met Gala season.

• 1:41George Kamel?

Didn't even know that was a thing.

• 1:42Rachel Cruze?

You love pop culture. The Met Gala, it's happening.

• 1:45George Kamel?

Nobody knows less about the Met Gala than me.

• 1:47Rachel Cruze?

And, yes, well, the fashion in the Met Gala is like

• 1:51George Kamel?

Wait, is this where Rihanna dresses up like the Pope? And we're supposed to act like it's art?

• 1:56Rachel Cruze?

  Yes.

• 1:57George Kamel?

  Is that what happens?

• 1:58Rachel Cruze?

  The fashion's crazy.

• 1:59George Kamel?

  On purpose.

• 2:00Rachel Cruze?

On purpose, yes. Depending on the theme and there's like always a thing there, yeah.

• 2:04George Kamel?

The richer you are, the dumber you can dress, I've realized. Is that fair?

• 2:09Rachel Cruze?

Yes. George, that's actually pretty good. Cause some stuff people wear, you're like, never. You could never like, that's not pretty.

• 2:16George Kamel?

Well, we look at Harry Styles outfits and we're like, wow, he's really pulling off that sequin romper.

• 2:22George Kamel?

  What? He's so fashion.

• 2:26Rachel Cruze?

  I know, no.

• 2:27George Kamel?

I go for timeless. Fifty years from now, I want my kids to watch this and go, dad looks good. That was a, that was a good jacket.

• 2:33Rachel Cruze?

Yes. Hey, do you know what, um, TV show, actually, I'm gonna say pulled it off 75% of the time? It's Friends.

• 2:40George Kamel?

  Oh, Friends.

• 2:42Rachel Cruze?

They have very timeless style. Like there's, there's some stuff they're like, oh wow, that feels very nineties, early 2000s. But the, like, they did a really good job. Yes. The timeless pieces, that's the classiest.

• 2:53George Kamel?

Well, now kinda baggy is back in, so the nineties style of dress.

• 2:57Rachel Cruze?

Yeah, that's probably true. Yeah, that's probably true. Um, okay, so the Met Gala, you know nothing about it. Okay, so we're gonna do a little fun rapid fire.

• 3:04George Kamel?

Oh, good. You can play along at home if you also know nothing.

• 3:06Rachel Cruze?

This is the height of pop culture. I don't watch, I don't, I don't even know if it's like on TV. Like, I don't watch on TV. This is where I go to Instagram that night and I look through everyone's pictures. And then the other best part is other people that critique them, like other, you know, whether they're like designers or whatever, and they show like, good, good, horrible, good. And you get to see like what professional people in the fashion industry have to say. It's my favorite.

• 3:29George Kamel?

So there is an objective truth to these outfits.

• 3:33Rachel Cruze?

I mean, I don't know. Okay, you ready for this one?

• 3:35George Kamel?

  Okay.

• 3:38Rachel Cruze?

  Who's in this?

• 3:40Rachel Cruze?

  Who's in this photo, George?

• 3:42George Kamel?

Uh, oh gosh, is that Kim Kardashian?

• 3:44Rachel Cruze?

  George Kamel, yes!

• 3:47George Kamel?

She's wearing head to toe all black, face covered.

• 3:49Rachel Cruze?

Yes. We got a little Kim. Wow, you know this.

• 3:53George Kamel?

It's giving, uh, like green screen suit meets hijab.

• 3:56Rachel Cruze?

  Yeah.

• 3:56George Kamel?

  You know what I mean?

• 3:57Rachel Cruze?

  I never would.

• 3:58George Kamel?

There's a lot going on there.

• 3:59Rachel Cruze?

  Actually, she's pretty good.

• 4:02George Kamel?

  Is that fair?

• 4:03Rachel Cruze?

Yeah, it is fair, actually, yes.

• 4:05George Kamel?

It's skin tight, but it's all black and it has a whole, like a head covering.

• 4:09Rachel Cruze?

  Yeah.

• 4:10George Kamel?

  Face covering.

• 4:11Rachel Cruze?

But the poor thing, her, like, she's got no, like, no nostrils.

• 4:15George Kamel?

I could wear that and look good, I feel like.

• 4:16Rachel Cruze?

Freedom. Well, and all, there's all these masks in the background from the photographers. So I'm assuming 2020, or probably 2021, 2022, like, is when that was. So I'm trying to think if she was with.

• 4:26George Kamel?

  Is that the Kanye era?

• 4:27Rachel Cruze?

Kanye, that's what I was gonna say. I'm trying to think if that's when she was.

• 4:30George Kamel?

Yo, girl, you look so good.

• 4:31Rachel Cruze?

This feels, this feels extreme to me, which yay, would be there. Okay. Which celebrity matches the carpets of the Met Gala every year with her dresses?

• 4:44George Kamel?

Oh, gosh. That's a lot of celebrities that could be doing that.

• 4:47Rachel Cruze?

Oh, really? No, I think there's.

• 4:50George Kamel?

  Matches the carpet? Lady Gaga?

• 4:52Rachel Cruze?

  Nope.

• 4:52George Kamel?

Oh, that feels like someone who would match the carpet.

• 4:54Rachel Cruze?

This is gonna be fun. I'm gonna give you three hints.

• 4:56George Kamel?

  All right.

• 4:56Rachel Cruze?

If I can drink my bowl. Here we go. Um, okay, I'm gonna say gossip is clue number one.

• 5:05George Kamel?

Gossip Girl. Is that the clue?

• 5:08Rachel Cruze?

  Number two, lawsuit.

• 5:11George Kamel?

  Blake Lively.

• 5:12Rachel Cruze?

Mm-hmm. Good job. You wanna see?

• 5:15George Kamel?

  Yeah, let's.

• 5:15Rachel Cruze?

  This is fun.

• 5:16George Kamel?

How do you match the carpet?

• 5:17Rachel Cruze?

Oh, look at her. Classy. She did pretty great. I do think she's like one of the most beautiful people.

• 5:21George Kamel?

  Oh.

• 5:24George Kamel?

  Okay.

• 5:24Rachel Cruze?

  Fun, huh?

• 5:25George Kamel?

  I guess.

• 5:26Rachel Cruze?

Cute. I love it. I think it's great.

• 5:30George Kamel?

Yeah, but if I was matching the curtains, you wouldn't be like, wow, what a great look. You know what I mean?

• 5:34Rachel Cruze?

But if it was Dolce, I would.

• 5:35George Kamel?

If it was a $10,000 dress.

• 5:37Rachel Cruze?

Yeah, I'd be like, well done, George. Well, now that I give Harry Styles feels, I'd probably say, George, take that off.

• 5:42George Kamel?

  Thank you.

• 5:42Rachel Cruze?

Give it to Whitney. All right, last trivia question about the Met Gala. George.

• 5:47George Kamel?

  All right.

• 5:47Rachel Cruze?

Which British royal family member attended the Met Gala only once in 1996? You got Queen Elizabeth?

• 5:56George Kamel?

  The second.

• 5:56Rachel Cruze?

  Camilla, Parker Bowles.

• 5:58George Kamel?

  Okay.

• 5:59Rachel Cruze?

  Meghan Markle or Princess Diana?

• 6:02George Kamel?

Okay, Princess Di, I don't think she had passed yet in 96. Is that true? It feels, I wanna say Princess Di.

• 6:10Rachel Cruze?

  Ding ding ding, yes.

• 6:11George Kamel?

  Correct?

• 6:11Rachel Cruze?

  Yes, she attended one time.

• 6:13George Kamel?

  Wow.

• 6:14Rachel Cruze?

  The Met Gala.

• 6:14George Kamel?

It just feels like something she would do.

• 6:16Rachel Cruze?

  Man.

• 6:17George Kamel?

Meghan Markle would be there for the networking. Princess Di would be there for the sheer art.

• 6:22Rachel Cruze?

  Just with those eyes.

• 6:22George Kamel?

  Yeah. R.I.P.

• 6:25Rachel Cruze?

I wish she could do her eyes.

• 6:27George Kamel?

Is that what she did? Did you see where she would

• 6:31Rachel Cruze?

You know how she does, she looks

• 6:32George Kamel?

Okay, did you see this clip where she would walk backwards to avoid paparazzi taking photos of her?

• 6:37Rachel Cruze?

  Who?

• 6:38George Kamel?

  Princess Di. It was masterful.

• 6:40Rachel Cruze?

Talk about conspiracy. Did you know there was a whole thing that she apparently knew about Prince Andrew? And the old

• 6:48George Kamel?

Whoa, you think that was part of her demise?

• 6:53Rachel Cruze?

Possibly. There's a lot of conspiracies around her death, but that was one recently. I thought, what if she's one? What if she's the one that would have saved and they

• 7:00George Kamel?

It would connect a few dots, that's for sure.

• 7:02Rachel Cruze?

I know. What a, what a hero. We love her.

• 7:05George Kamel?

  Wow, alright.

• 7:06Rachel Cruze?

  Love her.

• 7:07George Kamel?

Well, we've covered fashion. I'm done with that. Now I've got some financial trivia for you.

• 7:10Rachel Cruze?

  Okay, give it to me.

• 7:11George Kamel?

Some more in my wheelhouse. True or false, the Met Gala is an actual fundraiser?

• 7:16Rachel Cruze?

  True.

• 7:17George Kamel?

  2025, it raised a record $31 million.

• 7:21Rachel Cruze?

  Yes.

• 7:21George Kamel?

  In its 77-year history.

• 7:23Rachel Cruze?

Yeah, it's for the, for the museum.

• 7:25George Kamel?

Yeah, the proceeds go to the Met's self-funded Costume Institute.

• 7:28Rachel Cruze?

  Yes.

• 7:28George Kamel?

Operations, exhibitions, acquisitions, things that rhyme with that, conservation. There's roughly 33,000 fashion artifacts. I love these are called artifacts. Like a meat costume is an artifact?

• 7:40Rachel Cruze?

  I know.

• 7:41George Kamel?

Versus like a fossil in ancient Egypt, which is an all, you know what I mean?

• 7:45Rachel Cruze?

  Totally.

• 7:45George Kamel?

  Like, let's define artifact, guys.

• 7:47Rachel Cruze?

  Yeah, that's fair. That's fair.

• 7:48George Kamel?

Okay, true or false, there's an entertainment budget for the guests each year?

• 7:52Rachel Cruze?

Uh, I'm gonna say false. I bet they give their time and everything because to say that they performed at the Met Gala.

• 8:00George Kamel?

  It's actually true.

• 8:00Rachel Cruze?

  Okay.

• 8:01George Kamel?

There's an entertainment budget. Last year it was more than $1.3 million.

• 8:04Rachel Cruze?

  Okay.

• 8:04George Kamel?

Wicked stars, Ariana Grande and Cynthia Revo, performed for their peers.

• 8:09Rachel Cruze?

  For their peers?

• 8:10George Kamel?

Their peers. We have different peers, Rachel and I.

• 8:15George Kamel?

Wow, alright, can you guess, A, how much individual tickets cost for the Met Gala, and B, the starting price of a table?

• 8:21Rachel Cruze?

Cause the table's the big thing.

• 8:22George Kamel?

  Yep.

• 8:24Rachel Cruze?

Um, gosh, table, I'm gonna go 200 grand.

• 8:27George Kamel?

  Okay.

• 8:28Rachel Cruze?

Single price of a ticket? Um, fifty, thirty?

• 8:33George Kamel?

You're a little under on both. Seventy-five grand for tickets, three hundred fifty grand for a table.

• 8:38Rachel Cruze?

  Oh, my gosh.

• 8:39George Kamel?

So, let's start saving up. Let's start that sinking fund every dollar. Wait, can we can't go? We have to be invited?

• 8:46Rachel Cruze?

Yeah, and I think Anna Wintour, I think she actually handpicks. Devil Wears Prada, her, you know, that they portrayed. I think, though, I think I've heard she handpicks the guest lists. Like, it's a very exclusive, yep, whole thing. And I think, I guess, if you get invited, you have to buy a ticket then, right?

• 9:03George Kamel?

I feel like it's rude not to.

• 9:04Rachel Cruze?

  Yeah, I don't.

• 9:05George Kamel?

  It's for charity.

• 9:07Rachel Cruze?

It's for charity. For the arts. For the arts. That's, that's another, that's another level of people when you say that.

• 9:13George Kamel?

  For the arts.

• 9:13Rachel Cruze?

For the arts. For the arts.

• 9:15George Kamel?

It is wild to compare how different the definition of a social event, uh, depends on a person's social class.

• 9:21Rachel Cruze?

Yes, so I think we should go through it. Let's do, uh, per social class, what social events they would attend. Would that be fun?

• 9:27George Kamel?

I like that a lot. So, all the way from the celebrities down to the, the poppers and the peasants.

• 9:32Rachel Cruze?

Let's just, yes. Go all the way.

• 9:34George Kamel?

Well, me, I wouldn't say you.

• 9:35Rachel Cruze?

  Here.

• 9:35George Kamel?

  I'll say me.

• 9:36Rachel Cruze?

  Me? What?

• 9:37George Kamel?

  I don't attend highfalutin events.

• 9:40Rachel Cruze?

  You think I do?

• 9:41George Kamel?

Were you not at the inaugural ball?

• 9:43Rachel Cruze?

Yes, I was one time. This is probably the nicest event I've ever, uh, Winston's never rented a tux except for our wedding.

• 9:50George Kamel?

He did, like, a rental? He doesn't own one?

• 9:51Rachel Cruze?

No, I'm telling you, see, I'm a peasant down here.

• 9:55George Kamel?

  No, Winston is a peasant.

• 9:56Rachel Cruze?

  We don't own tuxes.

• 9:57George Kamel?

How does Winston not own a tux?

• 9:58Rachel Cruze?

I don't own ball gowns, ball gown.

• 10:00George Kamel?

Did you went shopping for a ball gown?

• 10:02Rachel Cruze?

Uh, Rent the Runway. So, I didn't even buy it.

• 10:04George Kamel?

  Wow, good for you.

• 10:06Rachel Cruze?

See, I am, yes, we are peers, George. Stop, stop trying to elevate me.

• 10:10George Kamel?

  She's just like us.

• 10:11Rachel Cruze?

  Stop trying to elevate me.

• 10:13George Kamel?

  That's so great.

• 10:14Rachel Cruze?

Don't try to elevate me. Okay, well, before we dive in, this is gonna be a fun episode for me, selfishly, so thank you.

• 10:19George Kamel?

  You asked for this.

• 10:20Rachel Cruze?

Thank you, yes. But, uh, what I would say, though, whether you're a celebrity or not, actually protecting your information online is really important. And so Delete Me comes in and removes your information from data broker websites that will sell your data. They make money off of you. And then you get spams and scams and phishing and all this stuff because your data's out there. It's all you're connected all out, all over with your home address, your phone number, your kids' names, everything. So Delete Me goes in and removes all that information. And the service is incredible. It is a subscription that we use, we love, and we recommend to anyone now in 2026.

• 10:59George Kamel?

Yes. You don't have to be a public figure for this to be a real concern for you. And the pricing is amazing. It comes out to about nine bucks a month with our code, Smart Money. So you can go to joindelete.me/smartmoney to get 20% off their annual plans. And you can get one for the whole family. That way everyone's protected from the kids to the parents to the spouses. This is worth it for anyone in your life that you care about. Stay safe. Keep your digital life private.

• 11:24Rachel Cruze?

Okay, so the Oscars for this year is done. But back in 2025, last year, the cost estimated to be $57.7 million to produce. And again, just a fraction of what the nominees spent on their films. So for example, last year, Wicked was nominated for 10 categories, but the film's budget was $150 million. Advertisers pay

• 11:50George Kamel?

  Took my breath away.

• 11:51Rachel Cruze?

1.95 million. So basically $2 million for a 30 second spot. And then the little goodie bags. Oh, have you heard about this?

• 11:58George Kamel?

I've heard about the Oscars goodie bags.

• 12:00Rachel Cruze?

  Oh, yeah.

• 12:00George Kamel?

  What's in there?

• 12:01Rachel Cruze?

Estimated over $170,000. So it's like luxury getaway, scan care, all the things. But you get these goodie bags at all these events that are like out of this world.

• 12:14George Kamel?

When I hear a goodie bag, I think like, there might be a Tootsie Roll in there.

• 12:17Rachel Cruze?

  A Tootsie Roll.

• 12:18George Kamel?

Not a luxury getaway. What is it? Is like a gift card?

• 12:21Rachel Cruze?

Like designers and all of it. I mean, all of it.

• 12:22George Kamel?

  They don't need the money.

• 12:23Rachel Cruze?

  See, isn't that funny?

• 12:25George Kamel?

They can just go take a luxury getaway.

• 12:27Rachel Cruze?

  Yes.

• 12:27George Kamel?

Now, if it's like the assistants, the people's behind, people behind the scenes, give them the goodie bags.

• 12:32Rachel Cruze?

  That's what they should do.

• 12:32George Kamel?

Leonardo DiCaprio doesn't need your goodie bag, guys.

• 12:35Rachel Cruze?

No, he doesn't. No. But the companies do it. So Leonardo DiCaprio ends up on the vacation and gets spotted there. And then they make money.

• 12:42George Kamel?

Paparazzi's there. This, you know what? Conspiracy theory. It's all an inside job.

• 12:46Rachel Cruze?

  They're all in cahoots.

• 12:47George Kamel?

  They're all in cahoots.

• 12:48Rachel Cruze?

  Probably. Probably. Leo.

• 12:50George Kamel?

The publicity companies pay the paparazzi to go catch Leonardo, and they're in cahoots with the getaway company.

• 12:56Rachel Cruze?

I believe it. Who should we get into cahoots with, George?

• 13:00George Kamel?

I'm in the wrong cahoots, whatever I'm in with. It ain't a good one.

• 13:03Rachel Cruze?

Well, I wonder what would be a good? Let me think. Ticketmaster?

• 13:11George Kamel?

Yeah, what am I asking for from Ticketmaster?

• 13:13Rachel Cruze?

  I don't know, money?

• 13:14George Kamel?

Backstreet Boys tickets? It's as good as it gets? I can do better.

• 13:17Rachel Cruze?

Maybe, maybe. Yeah, but the Oscars, again, it's where all the celebs go. That's a social event to be at for them.

• 13:25George Kamel?

And here's, get this, the average cost to attend the Vanity Fair Oscar party, couples reportedly pay $83,000. To just schmooze at the party.

• 13:34Rachel Cruze?

  To go to the party.

• 13:36George Kamel?

You gotta have so much money just to schmooze these days.

• 13:39Rachel Cruze?

Well, that's what it is, right? I mean, if you think about it.

• 13:42George Kamel?

  Yeah.

• 13:42Rachel Cruze?

They just, yeah, they don't think, they don't think about it.

• 13:44George Kamel?

You just wanna be in the room if you're rich enough, I guess.

• 13:46Rachel Cruze?

Okay, next, is the, is it Canes? Cans?

• 13:49George Kamel?

  I think can.

• 13:51Rachel Cruze?

  Can.

• 13:51George Kamel?

  Just can.

• 13:51Rachel Cruze?

  Oh, just can.

• 13:52George Kamel?

If it's like the English variation.

• 13:53Rachel Cruze?

  Can.

• 13:54George Kamel?

The French, I think, extended a little bit. I was in Reddit threads, Rachel, I was deep in it. I was in the subreddit.

• 13:59Rachel Cruze?

Oh, it is, it's pronounced can. Con.

• 14:03Rachel Cruze?

Yep, you're right. Oh, wait, wait, we got a 45 second. We got a 45 second.

• 14:11Speaker 02

You're looking at how to pronounce the name of this film festival that takes place in this beautiful coastal city on the French Riviera, in the south of France. How do you say it? Can. Can. Film Festival.

• 14:27Rachel Cruze?

  Can. Can.

• 14:29George Kamel?

That's the official pronunciation, which is closest to can, but not quite con.

• 14:34Rachel Cruze?

  Okay. Can.

• 14:35George Kamel?

  Can.

• 14:36Rachel Cruze?

  Can.

• 14:36George Kamel?

  Can.

• 14:37Rachel Cruze?

Film Festival, that's what we're gonna say.

• 14:39George Kamel?

  Can.

• 14:39Rachel Cruze?

  Can. Con, con, con.

• 14:42George Kamel?

That guy must make a living off of his YouTube videos. He takes 40 seconds to get to the word.

• 14:48Rachel Cruze?

That's who we should be in cahoots with.

• 14:50George Kamel?

  That guy.

• 14:50Rachel Cruze?

  Yeah, it's quite him.

• 14:52George Kamel?

I should do a pronunciation YouTube channel.

• 14:55Rachel Cruze?

  So fun.

• 14:55George Kamel?

And I would just get to it, instead of this guy. It's in the south of France. Nobody cares.

• 15:01Rachel Cruze?

  Oh my gosh.

• 15:02George Kamel?

  All right.

• 15:03Rachel Cruze?

  Okay.

• 15:03George Kamel?

  This film festival, so pretentious.

• 15:05Rachel Cruze?

Yes, this was supposed to begin in 1939, but WWII was happening. So it actually took place in 1946. And lasts about two weeks. So who attends? It's filmmakers, actors, journalists, fans from around the world. And many popular films have come through the cans with a popular response. So you got ET, Pulp Fiction, Pixar's Up.

• 15:31George Kamel?

  Who knew?

• 15:31Rachel Cruze?

Looky there, Moulin Rouge, Moonrise Kingdom.

• 15:35George Kamel?

  Love that one.

• 15:35Rachel Cruze?

  I don't know if I know.

• 15:36George Kamel?

Wes Anderson. He's a very hipster director, probably not your speed.

• 15:40Rachel Cruze?

Okay. Yeah, I don't know him. Cowboy?

• 15:43George Kamel?

Not quite. Very symmetrical, artsy shots.

• 15:48Rachel Cruze?

  No.

• 15:48George Kamel?

  Whimsical, quirky.

• 15:50Rachel Cruze?

  Not my thing.

• 15:51George Kamel?

  Okay.

• 15:51Rachel Cruze?

  Yeah, no.

• 15:52George Kamel?

  I tried.

• 15:53Rachel Cruze?

I need a murder and an affair.

• 15:56George Kamel?

  Uh, that might happen.

• 15:58Rachel Cruze?

  I need like a.

• 15:59George Kamel?

That could happen in a Wes Anderson film.

• 16:01Rachel Cruze?

I need a mystery, that's what I mean. Oh my gosh, well, the money here, you ready for this?

• 16:07George Kamel?

  Okay.

• 16:07Rachel Cruze?

Uh, to attend is over $1,300 after. Tickets, travel, food and other costs, so it could be.

• 16:15George Kamel?

That feels cheap. I mean, a ticket to France alone feels like it costs that.

• 16:19Rachel Cruze?

Yeah, or it could cost up to tens of thousands for the more elite access, so.

• 16:22George Kamel?

That's what you would do. Go big or go home.

• 16:24Rachel Cruze?

Go big or go home. Yeah, I'm not, I'm not like an artsy person. It's like the film festival stuff doesn't, I hear festival too and I run.

• 16:32George Kamel?

You'll wait for it to be on Netflix. You're not gonna go to the festival to be the first to see it.

• 16:36Rachel Cruze?

No, but I will go to a movie theater.

• 16:38George Kamel?

When's the last time you went?

• 16:40Rachel Cruze?

Um, when was the last movie I saw in theaters? Zoolander 2?

• 16:44George Kamel?

  What?

• 16:45Rachel Cruze?

  Like kids.

• 16:45George Kamel?

  That was an insane answer.

• 16:49Rachel Cruze?

  No, not Zoolander, Zootopia!

• 16:55George Kamel?

I was like, was there a Zoolander 2?

• 16:57Rachel Cruze?

Everyone's like, wait, wait, wait, no, no. Zootopia.

• 17:02George Kamel?

  I was like-

• 17:03Rachel Cruze?

  It's like my kiss.

• 17:04George Kamel?

You acted like you go to the theater all the time and then you drop Zoolander as your reference?

• 17:11Rachel Cruze?

  Zootopia.

• 17:12George Kamel?

Yeah, okay, that makes more sense. Now I need to find out, was there a Zoolander 2?

• 17:18Rachel Cruze?

With Ben Stiller? Was there? Oh, no.

• 17:22George Kamel?

Oh, yeah, there was in 2016. Rachel hasn't made it to the movies in a decade.

• 17:27Rachel Cruze?

  Ten years.

• 17:28George Kamel?

And to be fair, it got a 21% on Rotten Tomatoes.

• 17:30Rachel Cruze?

Yeah, I believe it. Zoolander 2, yeah, sorry, Zootopia. And actually, as the opposite of that, Zootopia 2 was the highest grossing Disney film. Did y'all hear this?

• 17:41George Kamel?

  I didn't know that.

• 17:42Rachel Cruze?

It became, it was the, which is great, because it was fine, but it was not like a classic, like should be the highest grossing. Yes.

• 17:50George Kamel?

  Wow.

• 17:50Rachel Cruze?

  Isn't that wild?

• 17:52George Kamel?

I feel like they're just making stuff up.

• 17:53Rachel Cruze?

  Has Mia seen Zootopia?

• 17:55George Kamel?

No, she hasn't even seen Frozen yet, and she's obsessed. She knows all the words, every song.

• 17:59Rachel Cruze?

Why have you not shown her Frozen?

• 18:00George Kamel?

Screen time. It's just simply too much for her little brain. It's too much for her tiny brain.

• 18:04Rachel Cruze?

  Lord.

• 18:05George Kamel?

She doesn't have the attention span.

• 18:06Rachel Cruze?

Oh, stop that. Show her Frozen.

• 18:09George Kamel?

You're gonna have to deal with that monster after an hour and a half of screen time.

• 18:11Rachel Cruze?

Stop it. She's like four years old. Well, no, she's two.

• 18:15George Kamel?

  She's two and a half!

• 18:15Rachel Cruze?

  Okay, okay. All right.

• 18:17George Kamel?

She's not even potty trained yet. I feel like you gotta at least be potty trained to watch an hour and a half movie.

• 18:23Rachel Cruze?

Ah, yeah, maybe so. I can't remember now. It's too, too long ago for me.

• 18:28George Kamel?

  Yeah, we'll get there then.

• 18:28Rachel Cruze?

  But I love a movie.

• 18:29George Kamel?

I can't wait. Yeah, you watch a lot of like throwback movies with your kids, right?

• 18:32Rachel Cruze?

  Yes.

• 18:33George Kamel?

That's your thing, like 90s movies, 2000s movies?

• 18:35Rachel Cruze?

We love like a Sandlot, Dustin checks in. Oh, yeah, there's so, there's so many great.

• 18:38George Kamel?

And they hold up. The kids like them.

• 18:40Rachel Cruze?

Yes, but then my girls are really into like the Disney musical stuff. There's this new one called Teen Beach on Disney, and it's like these teenagers that get sucked into a 1950s film. Like about a beach.

• 18:54George Kamel?

  Okay.

• 18:55Rachel Cruze?

Anyways, it's all these songs and soundtracks. I don't know.

• 18:58George Kamel?

But they love it? They're dancing to it?

• 18:59Rachel Cruze?

Oh my gosh. They love it.

• 19:01George Kamel?

That's fun. All right. Enough celeb talk, Rachel. Let's move into upper and middle class social events, starting with the upper class. So, upper class, the one that comes to mind, the Masters Golf Tournament.

• 19:12Rachel Cruze?

  Oh, yes.

• 19:14George Kamel?

  It exudes class.

• 19:15Rachel Cruze?

Now, that's, that's exclusive, right? You have to be invi-

• 19:17George Kamel?

It's really hard to get there.

• 19:19Rachel Cruze?

Yes. Like, I mean, I guess you can get a ticket, but like, you have to know someone that has, like, it's like, you can't just go on Ticketmaster.

• 19:24George Kamel?

  No, no.

• 19:25Rachel Cruze?

  And buy a ticket.

• 19:25George Kamel?

Because the price isn't that much. Daily tickets are around a hundred and forty bucks or less if it's a practice round.

• 19:30Rachel Cruze?

  No, that's not bad.

• 19:31George Kamel?

But there's a official Masters Lottery. So, if you purchase it through that, four-day badges, five hundred and twenty-five bucks.

• 19:37Rachel Cruze?

  Okay.

• 19:37George Kamel?

And then there's third-party sites that can list tickets up to sixty-five hundred dollars.

• 19:40Rachel Cruze?

  Oh.

• 19:41George Kamel?

Even though it was a no resale policy.

• 19:43Rachel Cruze?

Okay, but that's where, that's where it gets pricing.

• 19:45George Kamel?

But it's really hard to get tickets through the lottery. So, people are willing to, to go for it.

• 19:48Rachel Cruze?

So, they'll get it, and then they turn around and sell them. They're not supposed to.

• 19:51George Kamel?

No. I don't know how they enforce it, but.

• 19:54Rachel Cruze?

Um, and I would go for the food. Do you know their, like, pimento, all their stuff and their pricing hasn't changed?

• 20:00George Kamel?

  Oh, that's right, yeah.

• 20:02Rachel Cruze?

  Yes.

• 20:02George Kamel?

It's like a couple of bucks.

• 20:03Rachel Cruze?

All their menu items are, like, super cheap, and it's all the same food that they've had for, like, decades there. That's fun.

• 20:08George Kamel?

Finger foods, right? Like little sandwiches?

• 20:10Rachel Cruze?

Yeah, it's like pimento cheese. Uh, what's all the, it's all these famous sandwiches that they have.

• 20:13George Kamel?

  There's a Masters drink that I think I made.

• 20:15Rachel Cruze?

  It's, uh-

• 20:16George Kamel?

I made one year while we were watching it.

• 20:17Rachel Cruze?

Yes, yes. I know what you're talking about.

• 20:19George Kamel?

It was decent. I think it had, like, vodka and some juices in it.

• 20:23Rachel Cruze?

  Yep.

• 20:24George Kamel?

Pretty light, pretty fruity. I was mildly unimpressed, but I guess if you're on a hot golf course all day.

• 20:29Rachel Cruze?

It's like a mix of something, right?

• 20:31George Kamel?

  Yeah.

• 20:31Rachel Cruze?

  Yep.

• 20:32George Kamel?

You tell me, Masters cocktail. We should have made it for this episode, guys.

• 20:35Rachel Cruze?

It's the pimento cheese sandwich and the egg salad sandwich. Those are, like, the two famous ones.

• 20:39George Kamel?

  Oh, wow.

• 20:40Rachel Cruze?

Famous. And then there's, like, the one that's together. And then you got the chicken salad, the barbecue pork sandwich.

• 20:46George Kamel?

  Yeah, I'm getting hungry.

• 20:47Rachel Cruze?

Yep. Um, pimento cheese sandwich, a dollar fifty. Egg sandwich, a dollar fifty. Yeah, like, it's like-

• 20:53George Kamel?

I'm glad they're finally giving these rich people a discount. It's about time.

• 20:56Rachel Cruze?

  I know. Good for them.

• 20:58George Kamel?

  This is crazy.

• 20:59Rachel Cruze?

Uh, the peach ice cream sandwich. So, it, or the pim- yeah, what was your drink?

• 21:03George Kamel?

Peach ice cream sandwich? That sounds delicious.

• 21:06Rachel Cruze?

  Yeah, famous drink.

• 21:07George Kamel?

Masters cocktail, if you just search that.

• 21:09Rachel Cruze?

  The Azalea?

• 21:11George Kamel?

  Yeah, Azalea cocktail.

• 21:13Rachel Cruze?

There you go. It's vodka, lemonade, pineapple juice, and a splash of grenadine.

• 21:17George Kamel?

  Grenadine, yep.

• 21:18Rachel Cruze?

  Grenadine.

• 21:18George Kamel?

Which is kinda like a pomegranate syrup. See, it's good. It's a little sweet, because you got the pineapple juice, the grenadine. It's like, everything is sweet.

• 21:25Rachel Cruze?

For sure. Um, okay, Masters, would you go?

• 21:28George Kamel?

Would I go? If invited, yeah. If Dave Ramsey was like, "Hey, hop on, we're going to the Masters," I'd be like, "Yeah, I'll go."

• 21:34Rachel Cruze?

  I'll go.

• 21:35George Kamel?

  I'll find a golf uniform.

• 21:37Rachel Cruze?

  Find a green collared shirt.

• 21:39George Kamel?

I'll wear a belt and tuck in a shirt for that.

• 21:41Rachel Cruze?

  Do what I gotta do.

• 21:42George Kamel?

I love a good sandwich, so...

• 21:43Rachel Cruze?

Okay, very southern. You know what's so southern? The Kentucky Derby.

• 21:47George Kamel?

I would probably rather go to that.

• 21:49Rachel Cruze?

That would be fun. Even though I'm against betting, a little horse betting would kinda be exciting, you know?

• 21:54George Kamel?

Go for the horses, stay for the sundresses and fun hats.

• 21:57Rachel Cruze?

  Stay with the hats. Yeah.

• 21:58George Kamel?

Big hats blocking my view. That's what I'm there for.

• 22:00Rachel Cruze?

Nashville has a version of it. Steeplechase, that we like, try to be the Kentucky Derby, and it just doesn't quite...

• 22:06George Kamel?

  No one's buying it.

• 22:07Rachel Cruze?

  It's just not...

• 22:08George Kamel?

And the Kentucky Derby has a famous, uh, drink.

• 22:11Rachel Cruze?

  Yeah, they drink, um...

• 22:12George Kamel?

Is it a mule? It's a mint julep.

• 22:13Rachel Cruze?

  A mint julep. Thank you.

• 22:15George Kamel?

I do love a mint julep. Now, that is a drink I can get behind.

• 22:18Rachel Cruze?

See, that's one that I would just drink there. I don't know if I'd make a mint julep.

• 22:22George Kamel?

Well, I would make it for you, but now I won't.

• 22:25Rachel Cruze?

So if you have just like, the infield, general admission tickets, around a hundred and thirty dollars.

• 22:31George Kamel?

  That's reasonable.

• 22:31Rachel Cruze?

Not terrible. Reserve seating, seven hundred to a thousand. That's what I would do, George. If we're gonna go, I need a seat. I don't like standing in fields.

• 22:39George Kamel?

Treat it like a Backstreet Boys concert.

• 22:41Rachel Cruze?

Yep. Uh, now, the premium covered clubhouse seating, ooh, it exceeds over two thousand dollars a ticket.

• 22:47George Kamel?

See, that would have to be like, "Hey, your ticket's covered on me." You know, I get invited by somebody who has that kind of money.

• 22:53Rachel Cruze?

Yeah. Would you go seven hundred dollars, though, for like, a seat?

• 22:56George Kamel?

If I'm with my wife, I would. Solo, I would slum it.

• 23:00Rachel Cruze?

  Okay.

• 23:01George Kamel?

With the general admission crowd. But for her sake, and I do think covered, if it's like, a real hot day...

• 23:07Rachel Cruze?

  I know.

• 23:07George Kamel?

  Would change your life.

• 23:08Rachel Cruze?

  I know.

• 23:09George Kamel?

Like, would you pay an extra thousand bucks to be able to survive for a couple of days out there? Probably.

• 23:14Rachel Cruze?

  Probably.

• 23:15George Kamel?

And then, of course, the gambling money. People gamble on the Kentucky Derby.

• 23:19Rachel Cruze?

How much do they gamble, you think?

• 23:21George Kamel?

  Thousands upon thousands.

• 23:22Rachel Cruze?

And see, here's the thing. They know what they're doing, some of them. Like, they like, they know the horses.

• 23:25George Kamel?

  They've studied the horses.

• 23:26Rachel Cruze?

Yes, like, what they're eating, their diets, the trainer, the jockey. Like, it's a whole thing. Like, to me, that feels... Gosh, maybe I'm being hypocritical here. That feels almost more predictable in a way than like, I'm gonna bet on this game of 24 players.

• 23:44George Kamel?

  Yeah.

• 23:45Rachel Cruze?

Football and hope that they make a catch.

• 23:46George Kamel?

Like, there's still a level of luck, but there's also, you kind of know the stats and the jockeys. But there's still so many variables that could go wrong.

• 23:54Rachel Cruze?

  Hundred percent.

• 23:54George Kamel?

  That could skew it.

• 23:55Rachel Cruze?

  Weather.

• 23:56George Kamel?

  Yeah, that's true.

• 23:57Rachel Cruze?

  What if it was rain?

• 23:58George Kamel?

I will say, I have a family member who had a, I think one, like, had a horse in the Derby that won.

• 24:03Rachel Cruze?

No way. And they got the little cup.

• 24:05George Kamel?

I think so. Like, he had bought the, the horse and, like, trained it and all that. Like, I think went in with someone else, maybe. And then this horse was in the Derby and it was crazy.

• 24:15Rachel Cruze?

I wonder how much you make if your horse wins, but it's a lot.

• 24:18George Kamel?

  Good question.

• 24:19Rachel Cruze?

Okay, next little high-dollar, if you will, event, the Super Bowl. And in a company suite.

• 24:25George Kamel?

Yeah, that's what screams upper class.

• 24:27Rachel Cruze?

So, if you're, yep, February 2026, the cheapest single ticket fell anywhere from 4,100 to 4,900 on sites like StubHub and its competitors. But private suites cost anywhere, oh my cheese, ready for this? 600,000 to 3 million dollars.

• 24:45George Kamel?

  It's all-inclusive, 16 to 32 guest room.

• 24:48Rachel Cruze?

  Oh my gosh.

• 24:48George Kamel?

  That's still wild.

• 24:50Rachel Cruze?

I mean, that's like each guest paying 100 grand, basically, to, like, pull our money together and...

• 24:54George Kamel?

I mean, if you pack it out, it's still like 20 grand plus per person. That's on the cheap end.

• 24:59Rachel Cruze?

It'd be like 100 grand, right?

• 25:00George Kamel?

Cheap end. Well, if you got 32 people, that's 600K. So, that's like the best possible scenario.

• 25:05Rachel Cruze?

Yeah, yeah, yeah, yeah, yeah. That's fair.

• 25:06George Kamel?

Yeah, and you get 16 at 3 million, that is pretty insane.

• 25:10Rachel Cruze?

  That's wild.

• 25:10George Kamel?

Now you're talking like 200 grand.

• 25:12Rachel Cruze?

  Yeah, I'd pick Kentucky Derby.

• 25:14George Kamel?

I've been to a football game. It's better at home. Can we all just admit that? Like, other than the energy, it's a better viewing experience at home.

• 25:22Rachel Cruze?

  Yes.

• 25:22George Kamel?

You get the commentary, you can actually see what's happening on the field, they have all the camera shots.

• 25:26Rachel Cruze?

Yeah, but being there live is like, that's like saying, watching a concert.

• 25:28George Kamel?

Well, just to say, I was at the Super Bowl. That's what you're really there for.

• 25:31Rachel Cruze?

Yeah, if you don't like one of your teams, right? Like... If you are a diehard Bears fan or Bills fan, you know what I mean? Like, one of these diehard fans, and they made it to the Super Bowl, I could see why you'd want to go. Like, that's kind of how I feel about you, T, a little bit of like, if they went to the national championship.

• 25:46George Kamel?

You would go for the experience.

• 25:47Rachel Cruze?

I may be looking for it.

• 25:48George Kamel?

  To say, "I was there."

• 25:49Rachel Cruze?

Yeah, just to be part of it, because it's your team. Like, you do, you're like, you are bought in. So, in that sense, I get it.

• 25:55George Kamel?

  Yep.

• 25:55Rachel Cruze?

But also, good night, that's a lot of money.

• 25:58George Kamel?

  Yeah.

• 25:58Rachel Cruze?

  Right?

• 25:59George Kamel?

And we tell people, Rachel, on the Ramsey Show, they call in and say, "Hey, Rachel, can I go to this expensive event?" And we say, "Well, do you have the money for it?"

• 26:08Rachel Cruze?

  Yep.

• 26:08George Kamel?

And if you budget for it with a sinking fund and you're debt-free, you've got an emergency fund, it's not a huge part of your world, then we give them the green light.

• 26:15Rachel Cruze?

  Oh, 100%. Oh, yeah.

• 26:16George Kamel?

So, these are achievable if you're budgeting and working with a financial institution.

• 26:19Rachel Cruze?

We're saying upper-class, too, with this, meaning like, just for the average person to go and be like, "Oh, I'm gonna drop, you know, $8,000 on just this one-day event."

• 26:28George Kamel?

  Yeah.

• 26:28Rachel Cruze?

  Right? That costs some money.

• 26:30George Kamel?

Yeah. But the best way to save up for this or any other event is through a high-yield savings account. And you want to do this with an institution that you can trust, that actually has your best interests at heart, and that is Fairwinds Credit Union.

• 26:40Rachel Cruze?

Yeah, Fairwinds is amazing. They have a smart bundle where you get the high-yield savings account, a checking account, and the Ramsey Debt Is Normal B Weir debit card, which I love. And all of it is so great, you guys, and their app, like, their interface on just banking online, they make it so easy. And if you have another bank, you can even plug in that account to Fairwinds and transfer money over. Like, they make stuff so simple.

• 27:04George Kamel?

And you can have up to 10 savings accounts for different funds. So, if you're saving up for the Backstreet Boys trip or the Super Bowl, you can just set that money aside and earmark it separately. So, it's not sitting inside of your emergency fund.

• 27:15Rachel Cruze?

That's right. So, you can be very specific about your savings, which is awesome. And it's high-yield, so you're gonna get a better rate of return.

• 27:20George Kamel?

  Yeah, competitive rates.

• 27:21Rachel Cruze?

  Traditional savings account.

• 27:23George Kamel?

You got nothing to lose. So, go check it out. Go to fairwins.org/Ramsey to open that smart bundle today. Again, it'll take you five minutes.

• 27:31Rachel Cruze?

  Yes, so fast.

• 27:32George Kamel?

Talks on your phone. You can't beat that.

• 27:34Rachel Cruze?

All right, so, let's step down from the upper-class, George. Let's go middle class. Here we go. Concert splurges. So for the cheapest seats at the average concert tour, you're gonna pay at least a hundred bucks. Harry Styles is doing a one-month residency, ooh, in Madison Square Garden.

• 27:52George Kamel?

  MSG, that's a big one.

• 27:53Rachel Cruze?

Wow. And tickets at one point exceeded $3,000.

• 27:58George Kamel?

  For Florin Pitt.

• 27:59Rachel Cruze?

  That's crazy. Yep, so.

• 28:01George Kamel?

Then you tack on hotel, flight fees, like you're, if you're making a trip out of it, you're talking, you know, thousands of dollars to go into an exclusive event like this.

• 28:10Rachel Cruze?

Yeah, absolutely. You know, and you're not in like the hundreds of thousands of dollars, but it's still gonna be.

• 28:16George Kamel?

It's reasonable for a middle-class family if they save over time.

• 28:19Rachel Cruze?

  That's right, yes.

• 28:20George Kamel?

The problem is a lot of people just put this on a credit card and go, well, it's a once-in-a-lifetime experience and I just want, my daughter, just, she just had to do it. We didn't have the money. And so that's what stresses me out, is people paying for this concert seven months after it's over.

• 28:34Rachel Cruze?

Yes, with the interest of a credit card.

• 28:37George Kamel?

At 24% APR. I know. Never worth it. So never go into debt for any of these experiences. But again, if you want to save up for it, put a hundred bucks away for a year, you got 1,200 bucks in that account.

• 28:45Rachel Cruze?

Mm-hmm, it's perfect. Okay, fancy birthday parties or bachelorette trips.

• 28:50George Kamel?

  Oh.

• 28:51Rachel Cruze?

  Yep, so.

• 28:51George Kamel?

  These can really get expensive.

• 28:53Rachel Cruze?

Yeah, well, if you're going domestically, it could be anywhere from 500 to 1,000 that you're probably chipping in for your part.

• 28:58George Kamel?

  Hotel, travel, food.

• 28:59Rachel Cruze?

Yeah, but a lot of people, I mean, it's bigger than that, right? So if you go on like a week-long premium couples cruise, for instance, it's gonna be more like $2,000. But yeah, so there's gonna be some expenses when it comes to, again, people go all out for birthday parties or these like special occasion trips. So I would put bachelorette party in there, honeymoon.

• 29:21George Kamel?

Even a destination wedding, you could throw in there.

• 29:23Rachel Cruze?

  Yes, would be expensive, yeah.

• 29:24George Kamel?

  That gets pricey.

• 29:25Rachel Cruze?

But that's like, that's definitely an event that, for families, like, hey, I'm gonna save up and pay for that. But one event actually involves a cruise, which I love, is the Live Like No One Else Cruise.

• 29:35George Kamel?

  The one we're going on?

• 29:36Rachel Cruze?

Yes, it's gonna actually be in March of 2027, you guys. So if you are debt-free, if you got your emergency fund, you're past baby step three, this is the Live Like No One Else Cruise. So let's put a link down below, George, so y'all can check it out, so we can go cruising together.

• 29:51George Kamel?

  All social classes are invited.

• 29:52Rachel Cruze?

I was gonna say, every social class.

• 29:54George Kamel?

As long as you pay cash and you're debt free, we're not gonna yell at you, and it is well worth it. The entire Ramsey personality crew will be there.

• 30:01Rachel Cruze?

  Yes.

• 30:02George Kamel?

We have special guests. And the last one we did, I'm still like on cloud nine from it.

• 30:07Rachel Cruze?

  I know.

• 30:07George Kamel?

And it's only like the Ramsey people on there.

• 30:10Rachel Cruze?

  Yeah, the whole ship.

• 30:10George Kamel?

So everyone you meet, everyone was like, this was the nicest attendees, like even the staff was like, who are these people?

• 30:15Rachel Cruze?

  So nice.

• 30:16George Kamel?

  Like the Ramsey people.

• 30:17Rachel Cruze?

Yep. So if you wanna go on a cruise with us.

• 30:18George Kamel?

  They tip well.

• 30:19Rachel Cruze?

Click the link below, y'all. It's gonna be fun. Okay, another one that I love. A family Disney trip.

• 30:26George Kamel?

  You've done that.

• 30:27Rachel Cruze?

  I have done that.

• 30:28George Kamel?

  Worth it?

• 30:29Rachel Cruze?

  Yes. So fun.

• 30:31George Kamel?

Now, there's a range of like how much you could spend at Disney.

• 30:34Rachel Cruze?

  Hundred percent.

• 30:35George Kamel?

There's the budget version where you're staying off property.

• 30:37Rachel Cruze?

  Yep.

• 30:38George Kamel?

You're not doing the park hopper and lightning lane.

• 30:40Rachel Cruze?

No, so the cheapest, yeah, around a hundred and nineteen dollars a person. So that's like a-

• 30:44George Kamel?

  That's a one day ticket.

• 30:45Rachel Cruze?

Yep. No park hopper or anything. Or you could do like a three day, which would be three hundred and eighty dollars. So different, depending on the day is what you add on, park hopper or not, yes, of what you could build out, make it more pricey or not. But for a lot of families, Disney is like a bucket list destination to go.

• 31:04George Kamel?

  Yeah.

• 31:04Rachel Cruze?

But sadly, a lot of people just go into debt for it, which was like your man on the street. Remember that?

• 31:07George Kamel?

Oh, that's right. Yeah, I did a man on the street video on my YouTube channel at Disney, and people were just telling me, yeah, we're a hundred and eighty thousand dollars in debt, and this trip costs us five thousand dollars on a credit card on top of that for the week. I'm just, everyone at home watching in the comments section is like, why are they at Disney?

• 31:24Rachel Cruze?

  I know.

• 31:25George Kamel?

And then they told me, you're ruining these people's vacation. I didn't mean to. It's my job to inquire.

• 31:31Rachel Cruze?

You don't have the money to be there.

• 31:32George Kamel?

But it was a lot of fun. I met a lot of nice people. But yeah, travel costs, flights, gas, hotel stays, food costs, all of that on top can really add some pain.

• 31:40Rachel Cruze?

But for a week, yeah, for a, for a multiple day a week, I mean, it could be anywhere from five thousand to ten thousand. I mean, it's a chunk of change.

• 31:46George Kamel?

  For a family of four.

• 31:47Rachel Cruze?

Yeah, like if you, if it's you and a spouse and a couple of kids, like you're paying for it for sure. But that is a trip that a lot of people, they look forward to.

• 31:55George Kamel?

And having been now as an adult, I will say it's, if you're gonna do it, it's worth doing it well. Even though it's gonna be pricier, I don't wanna spend my day standing in lines.

• 32:05Rachel Cruze?

Yeah, like pay for the lightning lanes and that kinda thing. Yeah, totally. No, I agree.

• 32:08George Kamel?

So if you can stomach it and budget for it, well worth it.

• 32:11Rachel Cruze?

I love it. All right, George, let's encompass everyone. You ready?

• 32:13George Kamel?

  People at any paycheck.

• 32:15Rachel Cruze?

Any paycheck level, some events that we love.

• 32:19Rachel Cruze?

Uh, we love a good holiday celebration. So throw in the 4th of July, a Friendsgiving potluck.

• 32:24George Kamel?

  A cookout.

• 32:24Rachel Cruze?

We love an Easter egg hunt, right?

• 32:26George Kamel?

  Block party, neighborhood?

• 32:28Rachel Cruze?

  Yes.

• 32:29George Kamel?

You have Flag Day growing up? That was a big one for us. I don't know why, but...

• 32:32Rachel Cruze?

  Wait, are you kidding?

• 32:33George Kamel?

No, Dead in Massachusetts, we celebrated Flag Day. We got the day off school and everything.

• 32:37Rachel Cruze?

  No, you didn't.

• 32:37George Kamel?

  Yes.

• 32:39Rachel Cruze?

  Really?

• 32:39George Kamel?

  Yeah.

• 32:40Rachel Cruze?

Is that where, uh, who, who sewed the first American flag? What was her name?

• 32:44George Kamel?

  What's her name?

• 32:45Rachel Cruze?

  What was her, Betsy Ross?

• 32:46George Kamel?

  Betsy Ross.

• 32:47Rachel Cruze?

  I feel like she's a Massachusetts gal.

• 32:48George Kamel?

Maybe that's why. Cause in hindsight, I'm like, were we the only town doing Flag Day?

• 32:53Rachel Cruze?

  Massachusetts feels old-

• 32:55George Kamel?

There was a little Flag Day parade.

• 32:56Rachel Cruze?

Old American history. It feels like Plymouth Rock, you know what I mean?

• 32:59George Kamel?

  Yeah.

• 33:00Rachel Cruze?

  We're gonna celebrate.

• 33:01George Kamel?

You ever been to Plymouth Rock?

• 33:03Rachel Cruze?

  No, I heard it's just a rock.

• 33:05George Kamel?

  Nothing could be more disappointing.

• 33:06Rachel Cruze?

  I know, that's what I've heard.

• 33:08George Kamel?

It's the saddest, it's not even a big rock.

• 33:10Rachel Cruze?

You know, I've never done either, is the Liberty Bell.

• 33:12George Kamel?

Oh, that one I think would be cooler.

• 33:14Rachel Cruze?

Oh, there it is, you know?

• 33:16George Kamel?

  Yeah.

• 33:16Rachel Cruze?

There's only so much we got, but we got a bell.

• 33:19George Kamel?

  There's a bell.

• 33:19Rachel Cruze?

Um, no, I feel like Massa- I feel like y'all appreciate American, like colonial-

• 33:24George Kamel?

Yeah, we were closer to it, I feel like.

• 33:26Rachel Cruze?

  Yes, we were.

• 33:27George Kamel?

  Founding fathers.

• 33:28Rachel Cruze?

I think we were one of the 13 original colonies, though, Tennessee.

• 33:31George Kamel?

Oh, didn't know that. We got a thumbs down, is that not true?

• 33:35Rachel Cruze?

No, we weren't one of the 13 original colonies?

• 33:38George Kamel?

I feel like it was more the Northeast.

• 33:40Rachel Cruze?

Hold on, hold on, hold on. Was Tennessee one of the 13 original colonies? Oh yeah, 13 out of 50. It was considered one of the, yes, y'all, it was! Oh no, nope. Uh, Tennessee was considered one of the original states, though, but that is slightly different than the original 13. Man, we got, we got people all around us, though. We got the Carolinas, we got Georgia, like, they're all right there.

• 34:11George Kamel?

Yeah, I feel like closer to the coast, the better.

• 34:12Rachel Cruze?

We're the 16th, okay, I was off by three.

• 34:16George Kamel?

Well, you don't get a trophy for being 16th place, sorry. Now, if you're, if you could be considered a Commonwealth? Commonwealth of Massachusetts, Commonwealth of Kentucky.

• 34:25Rachel Cruze?

Yeah, that's pretty cool. And what does Louisiana have? Parishes. I want a parish.

• 34:30George Kamel?

  Oh, yeah.

• 34:31Rachel Cruze?

I wish we were parishes. Wouldn't that be cool? I'm in this parish. Uh, Chicago's like that, too. Doesn't Chicago, don't they have parishes? How their city's divided up?

• 34:39George Kamel?

  The Pope's from there, so.

• 34:41Rachel Cruze?

He is. We got an American Pope. Yes, we do.

• 34:44George Kamel?

  That's something.

• 34:45Rachel Cruze?

To the nice and creed, George.

• 34:47George Kamel?

Don't know what that is, but I'll cheers to it. If Rachel co-signs it. Not a huge fan of creed, but I'll go for it.

• 34:57George Kamel?

That's good. Yeah, I like these, these holiday celebrations are, like, I feel like it is a, it's a unifying experience.

• 35:04Rachel Cruze?

  Oh, for sure. Yes.

• 35:06George Kamel?

  Cause anybody, everybody celebrates this.

• 35:07Rachel Cruze?

  Well, not everybody, George.

• 35:10George Kamel?

  Americans.

• 35:11Rachel Cruze?

Well, friends get, okay, there we go. Not the world. We have some international listeners and watchers.

• 35:16George Kamel?

But I feel like if you're not even from here, you should be celebrating America's independence.

• 35:19Rachel Cruze?

  Do they do Thanksgiving, though?

• 35:21George Kamel?

Uh, a lot of, I think a lot of countries do Thanksgiving.

• 35:24Rachel Cruze?

  They do? For America?

• 35:25George Kamel?

It's just their own version. Like, I feel like the UK probably does a version of Thanksgiving.

• 35:29Rachel Cruze?

  With fish and chips.

• 35:31George Kamel?

They have their own dates for it.

• 35:32Rachel Cruze?

  For fish and chips.

• 35:32George Kamel?

  But similar holidays.

• 35:33Rachel Cruze?

You know what? I think I'd rather have fish and chips and tartar sauce.

• 35:36George Kamel?

  Oh, yeah.

• 35:37Rachel Cruze?

I bet they have better food.

• 35:39George Kamel?

  In the UK?

• 35:40Rachel Cruze?

I'm not a good, uh, I'm not a big Thanksgiving food person.

• 35:43George Kamel?

Turkey's not for you. What about a nice spiral ham?

• 35:46Rachel Cruze?

Now, uh, no, but give me Italian. When was Italy found? Oh, my gosh. Could you imagine pizza and pasta for your, like, Thanksgiving? Yes.

• 35:54George Kamel?

Make that happen at your house.

• 35:56Rachel Cruze?

  Yes.

• 35:56George Kamel?

It's America. You can do what you want.

• 35:58Rachel Cruze?

That's right. Land of the free, home of the brave.

• 36:00George Kamel?

Who's gonna stop you? I dare them to stop you. Don't tread on me.

• 36:04Rachel Cruze?

  Who's gonna stop me?

• 36:05George Kamel?

  That dry turkey.

• 36:06Rachel Cruze?

Oh, man. Um, okay, lake weekends. This is, this is maybe, well, I wouldn't say it's southern. This is probably America.

• 36:12George Kamel?

Well, it depends if you have a lake.

• 36:14Rachel Cruze?

Yeah, but like, uh, Memorial Day, 4th of July, Labor Day, you got your, your bookings.

• 36:18George Kamel?

You guys spent most holidays on the lake if it was warmer, right?

• 36:21Rachel Cruze?

Yes, so much, so much of the lake. So that is, that is fun.

• 36:23George Kamel?

  Barefoot skiing?

• 36:25Rachel Cruze?

  I did not barefoot ski.

• 36:26George Kamel?

  Oh.

• 36:27Rachel Cruze?

  No.

• 36:27George Kamel?

  You're not capable?

• 36:28Rachel Cruze?

But Dave did. I've never tried. Don't wanna.

• 36:29George Kamel?

  Really?

• 36:30Rachel Cruze?

You have to go. I slalom.

• 36:32George Kamel?

  What's the one you did?

• 36:32Rachel Cruze?

  I slalom.

• 36:33George Kamel?

Slalom. What's the one where you're on, you're like two feet in front of each other on one ski? That's slalom?

• 36:37Rachel Cruze?

  I can slalom.

• 36:38George Kamel?

  That's impressive.

• 36:39Rachel Cruze?

Um, mom of three. That's what I always think. I get up once a year now. That's all I do.

• 36:43George Kamel?

And you're like, I'm a mom. It's even more impressive.

• 36:45Rachel Cruze?

I do, I do. Just like, let me go. Almost 40.

• 36:48George Kamel?

Even seeing Dave Ramsey out there, I mean, he was majestic. There's only one word for it. It was like he was in another person's body.

• 36:55Rachel Cruze?

It is a smooth water and when you cut solemn and the spray, you know, the fan of the water goes up. It's pretty fun.

• 37:00George Kamel?

  Yeah.

• 37:00Rachel Cruze?

  Pretty.

• 37:01George Kamel?

He taught me. I got up first time.

• 37:03Rachel Cruze?

  Yes, you did, George.

• 37:04George Kamel?

Cause he was a good coach. Now he's like, he's a coach. He's yelling at you.

• 37:08Rachel Cruze?

  Oh, yeah.

• 37:09George Kamel?

Get up, get up, up. Get your legs up, get your... I'm like, oh, yes, sir. So you're scared and dude doing it right the first time.

• 37:14Rachel Cruze?

That is true. But Dave Ramsey, he has taught more people because he took our youth, like when he was within the youth group of like, like when he was like a youth group leader back when I was a kid. I mean, he's taught so many people to skate because he really does believe it's the boat driver. If you have a good boat driver, you can get...

• 37:30George Kamel?

  And he is the best.

• 37:31Rachel Cruze?

You can get almost anyone up. It's the boat driver. That's like the big player, not the skier.

• 37:35George Kamel?

So he can hold the world record for getting the most people debt free and coaching the most people into water skating.

• 37:40Rachel Cruze?

Ask him next time. Say, Dave, how many people do you think you've taught to water skate?

• 37:43George Kamel?

  That's a legacy right there.

• 37:44Rachel Cruze?

I'd be curious what he has to say.

• 37:45George Kamel?

I love this. Well, all these celebrations, what's great is you can keep them real cheap. You know, you can potluck style, prepare a dish, contribute and, uh, you know, 20 to 50 bucks will do it in most cases.

• 37:54Rachel Cruze?

So fun. Yep. I love it. But you know where I don't want to go cheap?

• 37:58George Kamel?

  Where?

• 37:58Rachel Cruze?

  Cozy Earth.

• 38:00George Kamel?

  Why would you?

• 38:01Rachel Cruze?

We wouldn't. We want quality products and that is what they deliver people. So whether it is blankets, bed sheets, um, whether it is sweaters, joggers, socks, like all of their products. So I'm telling you, I mean, and I wash them over and over again and they stay, the fabric stays consistent, the fit stays consistent. We just, we love Cozy Earth. Now it's getting a little bit warmer, so I had to take that cuddle blanket. Remember that massive? I did. And I did put that in our hall closet because we're probably not going to use that for a few months.

• 38:33George Kamel?

  Till it gets cold out.

• 38:34Rachel Cruze?

Yep. But that thing, I had to lift it out of the basket again. I was like, man, it's heavy.

• 38:38George Kamel?

It's my only workout I do, carrying that, that blanket around.

• 38:42Rachel Cruze?

  It's so big.

• 38:42George Kamel?

So if you want to feel upper class at middle class prices, Cozy Earth is the place to go. You can get 20% off when you go to cozylearth.com/smartmoney and use promo code SMARTMONEY at checkout. And if you get the post purchase survey, make sure you let them know Smart Money Happy Hour sent you.

• 38:58Rachel Cruze?

All right. Last event, George, we'll chat about.

• 39:01George Kamel?

  All right.

• 39:01Rachel Cruze?

  The old county fair.

• 39:03George Kamel?

That might be the last bastion of, of community we have.

• 39:06Rachel Cruze?

What's the state that has? It's the one that's like the massive Iowa State Fair. Oh, that's a state fair, not a county fair. The Iowa State Fair, that's like the huge one.

• 39:16George Kamel?

We've got the Williamson County Fair here.

• 39:18Rachel Cruze?

  We do.

• 39:19George Kamel?

  Which is decent.

• 39:20Rachel Cruze?

Yeah, it's crawling with a bunch of high schoolers, though.

• 39:22George Kamel?

I went, yeah, I thought, this'll be fun, we should go. And so I took Whitney last time, and never again.

• 39:27Rachel Cruze?

Because of the, all the teenagers?

• 39:29George Kamel?

Yeah, it's like rude high schoolers. But the county fair, without the teenagers, is a good time. You got the funnel cakes, the ride tickets.

• 39:36Rachel Cruze?

  Do you trust the rides?

• 39:37George Kamel?

Uh, you don't, but that's kind of part of the fun.

• 39:40Rachel Cruze?

  Okay.

• 39:40George Kamel?

Is like, this could be it.

• 39:42Rachel Cruze?

This could, I'm choosing to live on death.

• 39:46George Kamel?

  That one's pretty wild.

• 39:47Rachel Cruze?

The pirate ride, that is pretty fun, though.

• 39:49George Kamel?

And the roller coaster, you're like, this was put together by a guy who has not slept in days, might be under the influence, is living off a monster and a prayer.

• 39:56Rachel Cruze?

  I agree.

• 39:57George Kamel?

And, and he put this thing together in a couple of hours.

• 40:00Rachel Cruze?

  It's so true.

• 40:01George Kamel?

This is crazy, and we just trust it.

• 40:03Rachel Cruze?

I know, George, I'm with ya. The fair stuff makes, or you know, you know what's even a step down from that?

• 40:08George Kamel?

  What's that?

• 40:09Rachel Cruze?

Is like in the, in the mall, the mall parking lot fairs that come in.

• 40:12George Kamel?

  Oh, yeah.

• 40:13Rachel Cruze?

And they set those up in the mall parking lot, and you're like, I don't know.

• 40:18George Kamel?

  Yeah.

• 40:19Rachel Cruze?

Then I guess a lot of people don't pass away.

• 40:22George Kamel?

  You make a fair point.

• 40:24Rachel Cruze?

Or they even like mix it.

• 40:25George Kamel?

The ratio of people dying at a county fair, pretty low.

• 40:27Rachel Cruze?

Pretty low, so I think we're good, yeah.

• 40:29George Kamel?

Yeah. I did see they had a great seals show, with the live seals, you know? They were doing like back, at this Williamson County Fair.

• 40:36Rachel Cruze?

  No way.

• 40:36George Kamel?

That was the best part of the whole thing.

• 40:37Rachel Cruze?

  Where's the water?

• 40:38George Kamel?

They like bring in like tanks.

• 40:40Rachel Cruze?

  Oh, stop it.

• 40:40George Kamel?

And the seals are doing backflips, and they're, they're really putting on a show.

• 40:44Rachel Cruze?

Oh no, it's like Blackfish. We free the seals?

• 40:46George Kamel?

They seemed happy, but you know, we don't know what's going on inside.

• 40:49Rachel Cruze?

No, we don't, no, we don't.

• 40:50George Kamel?

  Only God knows.

• 40:51Rachel Cruze?

Only God knows. Okay, so then, let me go, okay, I'm gonna keep going for just a second. But the step up of the county fair is like a theme park that's not Disney. Like a Dollywood. Yes.

• 41:01George Kamel?

  Now we're talking.

• 41:01Rachel Cruze?

Now I trust that. I trust Dolly. I will get on any ride that Dolly endorses.

• 41:06George Kamel?

I will say that. We had one locally in Massachusetts, well, it was near Massachusetts, called Canobie Lake Park.

• 41:11Rachel Cruze?

  Oh, they're beautiful.

• 41:12George Kamel?

And it was like the old wooden rickety coasters.

• 41:14Rachel Cruze?

  Oh, those are fun.

• 41:15George Kamel?

  Which are really fun.

• 41:16Rachel Cruze?

  Yeah, those are fun.

• 41:16George Kamel?

So that was our theme park we'd go to. If we're not gonna go to like a Six Flags over in New England.

• 41:20Rachel Cruze?

So we had Opryland when I was a kid in Nashville.

• 41:22George Kamel?

That's right. And Nate Bargatze's bringing his own back.

• 41:24Rachel Cruze?

  Oh, I heard that.

• 41:26George Kamel?

He said he's, it's too late, he can't turn back. Like the investors are involved.

• 41:30Rachel Cruze?

Listen, if it's good roller coasters, I'll be there.

• 41:32George Kamel?

So I think it's gonna be called Nate Land.

• 41:33Rachel Cruze?

  I love them.

• 41:34George Kamel?

  I guess.

• 41:35Rachel Cruze?

  Wow. Rachel Land. Rachland.

• 41:37George Kamel?

I mean, he's got enough money. Hopefully, it's great. I would go. And he wants it to be this family-friendly experience.

• 41:42Rachel Cruze?

Well, let me just say this, George. Whether you're at the Met Gala or the County Fair, I think it's the people that make it. The community.

• 41:49George Kamel?

  That's so true.

• 41:49Rachel Cruze?

Do you know what I mean with your family, your friends? Like, there is something about a Friendsgiving, to go into the Masters, like, whatever it is, like, doing it with people you love. Honestly, it's gonna be the best part.

• 42:01George Kamel?

I think it actually could be better than the Met Gala. Some of these uppity events, you go and you expect a certain thing, and it disappoints. And sometimes the cheap thing has the most joy in it.

• 42:11Rachel Cruze?

  Hundred percent. Low expectations.

• 42:13George Kamel?

  Yes.

• 42:13Rachel Cruze?

Yeah. No, I'm with you. I love it. But yeah. So whether you're planning the Met Gala or getting the funnel cake at the County Fair, budgeting, like we said earlier, though, like Disney, all these places, all these things, whether it's like a once-in-a-lifetime trip or a trip that you take every other year, whatever the thing is, be budgeting for it. EveryDollar is a great budgeting app that we use. But, um, yeah, just being intentional about it. I think that's what's important. And I think when money's stress doesn't play in, you actually can enjoy the experience more.

• 42:39George Kamel?

Yes. I do think we tend to go toward, well, if it's gonna cost a lot of money, it must be awesome. But then the most fun is like, we had a mahjong night at my house.

• 42:47Rachel Cruze?

  Yes.

• 42:48George Kamel?

They already had the board. And like, that kind of stuff, I think, is where real life happens.

• 42:52Rachel Cruze?

I'm with you. Yep. We celebrated Winston's birthday. And so we had some families over last night to the porch, because it was beautiful. We had great weather last night. And we played with all the kids, because all the kids are now a little bit older. They're like, third, fourth, fifth grade, you know?

• 43:05George Kamel?

  Yeah.

• 43:05Rachel Cruze?

So they can play games with the adults, because they can hang. So we played Mafia. Have you played Mafia before?

• 43:10George Kamel?

Wait, is this the one where someone's the Mafia?

• 43:12Rachel Cruze?

Yeah, there's like Two Mafia, Two Night Watch. It's like a whole thing. Anyways, we, the kids would not stop playing. I mean, like, we'd get done with the round, like, one more time, one more time, all of it.

• 43:20George Kamel?

  That's awesome.

• 43:21Rachel Cruze?

Something I'd say, a deck of cards, and it's the people. You get around.

• 43:25George Kamel?

  It's the people.

• 43:25Rachel Cruze?

You get around your friends, your family. It is. It's so enjoyable. So. That's my, uh...

• 43:30George Kamel?

  Beautifully said.

• 43:31Rachel Cruze?

I love it. That's what you just remind me of. That's so true.

• 43:34George Kamel?

  That's what I'm here for.

• 43:34Rachel Cruze?

Regardless of the cost. Doesn't cost a lot. Okay, well, before we spill the tea on our guilty as charged segments, uh, what do you think about the drink? I liked it. I just couldn't pick it up, honestly.

• 43:43George Kamel?

It's just, the glass alone is a couple of pounds.

• 43:46Rachel Cruze?

Yes, I mean, it just was-

• 43:48George Kamel?

Without any liquid in it. This was the Cranberry Lime Mocktail. It's got frozen cranberries, sugar, fresh lime juice, frozen limeade concentrate, and some seltzer water.

• 43:57Rachel Cruze?

  So good.

• 43:58George Kamel?

Which, hot take, I think every mocktail needs a little seltzer water. So you give it a little zip. And, uh, it only costs a dollar thirty-five.

• 44:05Rachel Cruze?

I'm going an eight out of ten. Eight point five. I'm gonna give it an eight.

• 44:08George Kamel?

  Wow, generous, okay.

• 44:09Rachel Cruze?

It's a little too sweet for me.

• 44:12Rachel Cruze?

Like, it feels like a dessert, almost.

• 44:13George Kamel?

  Yeah.

• 44:14Rachel Cruze?

Um, but it, but it, but nothing is like, ah. You know, sometimes you have a drink and you're like, oh, God, that part's bad.

• 44:19George Kamel?

I'm gonna give it an eight. I think it's really solid. I want a little more punch from the lime. Uh, I think the limeade concentrate, left to my own devices, I try to go as fresh as possible versus like the old can of Minute Maid, but, you know, left to your own devices. This is a killer drink that you can make a whole batch of for the whole family. So give it a try this weekend. The recipe is in the show notes for this Cranberry Lime Mocktail.

• 44:40Rachel Cruze?

Love it. All right, now it's time for

• 44:43George Kamel?

  Guilty as Charged.

• 44:45Rachel Cruze?

And this is where we ask each other a guilty as charged question every week. And if we're guilty, we take a sip. All right, George, question is, what's the last event no amount of money could have ever made it worth it?

• 44:57George Kamel?

Oh, wow, that's, them fighting words.

• 45:01Rachel Cruze?

  Oh, man.

• 45:02George Kamel?

So an event I didn't go to?

• 45:03Rachel Cruze?

  I'll tell ya.

• 45:04George Kamel?

Or an event you did go to that you regret?

• 45:06Rachel Cruze?

  I think it's the regret.

• 45:10Rachel Cruze?

What's the last event no amount of money could have made it worth it? Like, what was a flop of an event?

• 45:14George Kamel?

This is mean, because I have a lot of friends with babies, but any infant or toddler's birthday party, I can do without.

• 45:20Rachel Cruze?

  Oh, that's fair.

• 45:21George Kamel?

I escaped the latest one, which was a petting zoo in someone's backyard with like-

• 45:25Rachel Cruze?

  Oh, wow.

• 45:25George Kamel?

  Camels, mini pigs.

• 45:26Rachel Cruze?

  Oh, my gosh.

• 45:27George Kamel?

I think a Shetland pony was back there. So Whitney took Mia on her own.

• 45:33Rachel Cruze?

Okay, and you stayed with Henry?

• 45:35George Kamel?

I was a hero. I stayed with my boy. She took the girl, but she had a great time.

• 45:40Rachel Cruze?

  It was great.

• 45:41George Kamel?

But just the chaos, you know, the screams, the awkward small talk with other parents.

• 45:46Rachel Cruze?

Well, no one can, you can't be in a conversation.

• 45:48George Kamel?

You're watching your kid, making sure they don't get mauled by a camel. Those things are mean.

• 45:54Rachel Cruze?

  I agree.

• 45:54George Kamel?

So yeah, that one I could do without, and I know they're only gonna get more complicated. When we go to the trampoline park and now I gotta fill out a waiver saying, hey, your kid's probably gonna go to the hospital today. Hope you're okay with that.

• 46:05Rachel Cruze?

Yes, and you can't sue us. So here you go.

• 46:08George Kamel?

  Must be nice.

• 46:08Rachel Cruze?

  Must be nice.

• 46:09George Kamel?

  How about you?

• 46:10Rachel Cruze?

I'm gonna say Hot Wheels Monster Truck Jam.

• 46:15George Kamel?

You went to that. Was that a Bridgestone Arena thing?

• 46:18Rachel Cruze?

Terrible. Yes. Charles loves monster trucks, but specifically Hot Wheels monster trucks. Like, it's very specific.

• 46:27George Kamel?

  Like branded?

• 46:28Rachel Cruze?

  He's a branded guy.

• 46:29George Kamel?

Okay, he's a name brand kid.

• 46:31Rachel Cruze?

He really is. Even his little cars, y'all. He'll turn them over and it's like a matchbox. He's like, no. He needs Hot Wheels, Hot Wheels, Hot Wheels, Hot Wheels. Hot Wheels pajamas. He's like a Hot Wheels kid. And he loves Hot Wheels monster trucks, like that specific brand. Well, I, as being the fun mom, sees that they're coming. Hot Wheels Monster Truck Jam, like the exact same ones. And it's like the bone shaker, these like specific monster trucks that have names are coming. Real life monster trucks coming.

• 46:58George Kamel?

  Oh, wow.

• 46:59Rachel Cruze?

And I thought, I'm amazing. I'm about to buy five tickets to Hot Wheels Monster Truck Jam at Bridgestone Arena. Um, it's terrible, George. It's terrible.

• 47:12George Kamel?

Were they like launching them off ramps?

• 47:13Rachel Cruze?

  No. No.

• 47:16George Kamel?

  What's the point?

• 47:17Rachel Cruze?

No. I know. Now, one did jump over a car. One did jump over a car.

• 47:21George Kamel?

  Okay.

• 47:22Rachel Cruze?

Then they were like, bone shaker, and it was like, like a little fire came up. And then the bone shaker comes and it just...

• 47:30George Kamel?

  Drives around?

• 47:30Rachel Cruze?

Goes in a circle. I'm not kidding. Like, that was bone shaker.

• 47:35George Kamel?

Pretty intense name for the activity.

• 47:37Rachel Cruze?

And then it drives off and you're like... And then the other one, I mean, nothing. Like, it was, like, we left early. Like, we left early.

• 47:44George Kamel?

  Was Charles upset?

• 47:44Rachel Cruze?

And the worst was, it was a week after my Backstreet Boys concert.

• 47:47George Kamel?

  Oh, that's why.

• 47:48Rachel Cruze?

So I just went from the top of my game to this, and it was so... Horrible. It was just horrible. It was horrible.

• 47:56George Kamel?

Was it cheap at least? Was like 20 bucks a ticket?

• 47:58Rachel Cruze?

No, no. That was the other. I bet I could find the price. No, it was like, yeah, yeah. I mean, we paid a couple hundred bucks.

• 48:03George Kamel?

  Oh, no.

• 48:04Rachel Cruze?

Yeah. Yeah. Yeah. Yeah. So anyways, that was it. Never again. Never again.

• 48:09George Kamel?

  That's sad.

• 48:10Rachel Cruze?

That. I've done a dinosaur thing. That was really bad, too.

• 48:13George Kamel?

  Oh, that's right.

• 48:13Rachel Cruze?

Really? All for Charles, too. I do this all for my son. I do this all for my son.

• 48:17George Kamel?

You know what I sent Whitney and Mia was a Frozen, like a little theater production, a Frozen.

• 48:23Rachel Cruze?

  Okay, that's cute.

• 48:23George Kamel?

That's like a 30-minute Saturday morning type thing.

• 48:26Rachel Cruze?

  Yeah.

• 48:27George Kamel?

  Apparently it was terrible.

• 48:28Rachel Cruze?

  Oh, gosh.

• 48:29George Kamel?

But I think Mia had a good time.

• 48:30Rachel Cruze?

  We try. We try.

• 48:31George Kamel?

  See some princesses and...

• 48:33Rachel Cruze?

  Oh, my gosh.

• 48:33George Kamel?

The things we do as parents. Really, it all comes down to if they're not on our own volition.

• 48:38Rachel Cruze?
