• 0:18Mary Beth Barone?

Hey, can you come pick me up? Yeah, what's wrong? Nothing. Are you sure? Yeah, no, I just need a ride.

• 0:26Mary Beth Barone?

So fun. I just wanna have fun. Start your engine. Tight.

• 0:30Benito Skinner?

  I'm Benito Skinner.

• 0:31Mary Beth Barone?

  I'm Mary Beth Barone.

• 0:32Benito Skinner?

  And this

• 0:33Mary Beth Barone?

  is

• 0:34Benito Skinner?

  Ride.

• 0:38Benito Skinner?

  Come on, Kirkplug!

• 0:39Mary Beth Barone?

  Aww.

• 0:40Benito Skinner?

We're not talking about that on here, but also just welcome to the encyclopedias.

• 0:43Mary Beth Barone?

Welcome to the encyclopedias. We're recording, so the bulk of this episode is going to be something we recorded a couple of years ago when we wanted to just have a resource. It works cited in a lot of ways of just like what the things we say mean, cuz it's so much brain rot. So we did two episodes. We thought it would fit in one, but it ended up being two episodes, Encyclopedia of Ride Part One and Encyclopedia of Ride Part Two. I'm sure our voices sound a little different. We've matured. We've had a coming of age since then, and we recorded those in Texas, if I recall correctly, in Austin, Texas.

• 1:13Benito Skinner?

  Yeah.

• 1:14Mary Beth Barone?

It's a rerun, but hopefully you'll enjoy the walk down memory lane and things that like maybe you've even forgot about.

• 1:19Benito Skinner?

  Yeah.

• 1:20Mary Beth Barone?

And things we've even forgot about.

• 1:21Benito Skinner?

Yeah, and maybe things that we haven't brought up in a long time, but if you're kind of starting from the beginning, I think it probably would be helpful.

• 1:26Mary Beth Barone?

Oh, a new era I wanna announce just before the end of the year. As we look into 2026 and we're thinking about interactions with people.

• 1:32Benito Skinner?

  Of course.

• 1:33Mary Beth Barone?

What I'm gonna do this year is I'm gonna go, if someone says something to me that's completely like out of pocket, I'm gonna go, why would you say that to me?

• 1:41Benito Skinner?

No, oh my God, I have chills. You know that I did that this week.

• 1:44Mary Beth Barone?

I know. Sometimes you don't know that. Before I fall asleep, I'm rerunning all of the things that we've said to each other.

• 1:49Benito Skinner?

  Good, me too.

• 1:50Mary Beth Barone?

  That day, week, month, year.

• 1:51Benito Skinner?

  Wait, me too.

• 1:52Mary Beth Barone?

And I thought about you saying that to someone, and I thought, we need to be reacting like that more.

• 1:57Benito Skinner?

You know how not me that is, too.

• 1:58Mary Beth Barone?

  I know.

• 1:59Benito Skinner?

It was shocking, but I just had this moment.

• 2:00Mary Beth Barone?

People shouldn't be able to get away with anything and everything.

• 2:02Benito Skinner?

I had walked 20 blocks and I felt incredible, and I was blasting Sky Ferrera, and I was just like, you've ruined that for me, so I have to bring this up. Like, this is insane behavior.

• 2:12Mary Beth Barone?

  Yeah.

• 2:12Benito Skinner?

It was great. I felt really powerful after.

• 2:14Mary Beth Barone?

Someone says something and you just go... Also, there was an interaction I had this year where I just wish I had called out in the moment what was happening instead of thinking about it and it weighing on my soul and spirit for months to come.

• 2:24Benito Skinner?

  Yeah.

• 2:24Mary Beth Barone?

And I just wish I said like, "You're being weird to me right now." And I don't know why, I'm gonna leave, but like, it's weird and you're making me feel weird and you're making me feel bad about myself.

• 2:32Benito Skinner?

Yeah, I would go through a breakup and then have interactions with people after and you'll find that pretty consistently you want to go, "The fuck is going on right now?"

• 2:38Mary Beth Barone?

I go, "What's happening right now?"

• 2:40Benito Skinner?

Hey, "The fuck is going on?"

• 2:41Mary Beth Barone?

So that's maybe something you're gonna hear a little more.

• 2:43Benito Skinner?

  Yes.

• 2:44Mary Beth Barone?

  In Ride 26.

• 2:46Benito Skinner?

Duddy is obviously not included in this, but...

• 2:49Mary Beth Barone?

Well, of course. Or this chick woke up in my house.

• 2:50Benito Skinner?

  Can I just say?

• 2:52Mary Beth Barone?

  Thank you!

• 2:53Benito Skinner?

Duddy appreciates all the love, all the support. She's going hog wild.

• 2:59Mary Beth Barone?

  Aspire to inspire.

• 3:00Benito Skinner?

Next year, yeah. But yeah, obviously, Kama Kama Plunk isn't in this. If you don't know what that means, it doesn't mean anything. It just was inspired by someone taking a shit and I said that.

• 3:08Mary Beth Barone?

  In your presence.

• 3:09Benito Skinner?

  Toxic positivity, I would say.

• 3:11Mary Beth Barone?

  Radical honesty in 2026.

• 3:14Benito Skinner?

  Yeah.

• 3:14Mary Beth Barone?

And maybe that means narrating your friend taking a shit in front of you.

• 3:17Benito Skinner?

  Yeah.

• 3:18Mary Beth Barone?

So enjoy the encyclopedia of Ride and all I can say is, "Whish." Wait, where are we going?

• 3:23Benito Skinner?

Who cares? Ride! First, there was Galileo.

• 3:29Mary Beth Barone?

  Then there was Plato.

• 3:31Benito Skinner?

  Then, there was Shakespeare.

• 3:34Mary Beth Barone?

And then there was Ride the Pod.

• 3:36Benito Skinner?

  Yeah!

• 3:36Mary Beth Barone?

  Whoa.

• 3:38Benito Skinner?

So, we've come to... We've come to an interesting crossroads. We know that there have been a lot of episodes of this fabulous show. I mean, what a year, kid.

• 3:49Mary Beth Barone?

It's been an amazing year and so much of that is due to our incredible listeners, the Baronies, who we love so much and we're so thankful for every day. We are truly grateful every single day.

• 4:00Benito Skinner?

Oh, every single... It's the first thing. It's what I pray to every night.

• 4:03Mary Beth Barone?

Every night. And since we have this growing family, I mean, we have more kids than ever. We decided that it might be good, per Marshall's suggestion, to have an episode where we go through all the terminology and inside jokes that we have on this podcast, just in case anybody does want to start in the middle, which we don't advise. We think it's really, really dangerous.

• 4:24Benito Skinner?

Because we knew how this will end once we started. Like, it's very fuck you, JK, but it's very Harry Potter.

• 4:30Mary Beth Barone?

Oh, yeah, we have the full arc sort of planned out already.

• 4:32Benito Skinner?

I think she lied about that, too.

• 4:34Mary Beth Barone?

She lied about a lot of stuff.

• 4:35Benito Skinner?

Oh, you saw the ends? Yeah.

• 4:38Mary Beth Barone?

  I see your end, sister.

• 4:39Benito Skinner?

You knew Order of the Phoenix was gonna be that bad? Yeah, Joe, I'm giving you notes now.

• 4:45Mary Beth Barone?

I stopped in the middle of book three. And that's how big of an ally I am to the trans community.

• 4:50Benito Skinner?

  Seriously.

• 4:51Mary Beth Barone?

I stopped reading the middle of book three. So fuck you, JK is actually a good place to start.

• 4:57Benito Skinner?

  Yeah.

• 4:57Mary Beth Barone?

  And Turf Hogwarts.

• 4:58Benito Skinner?

  Oh, my god, Turf Hogwarts.

• 5:00Mary Beth Barone?

So this is the Encyclopedia of Ride.

• 5:02Benito Skinner?

Welcome to the Encyclopedia of Ride. We're assuming only straight guys are listening to this, so hey.

• 5:07Mary Beth Barone?

  Welcome, waters warm.

• 5:08Benito Skinner?

  Oh, yeah, what's up, dude?

• 5:12Benito Skinner?

Yeah. Wait, okay, so what this episode will be is just, we're gonna say as many, and I know we're gonna forget some stuff, so we can always do another one of these.

• 5:22Mary Beth Barone?

  We'll do a part two.

• 5:23Benito Skinner?

But maybe some things it's good to just have for us, do you know what I mean?

• 5:27Mary Beth Barone?

Yeah, just for the lifers. So Turf Hogwarts came out of a reference to JK. Obviously, we don't support JK and her beliefs about anything, really. I mean, I don't know what else she believes in, but I know that I don't agree.

• 5:41Benito Skinner?

If this is her hot take on the trans community, then I'm good.

• 5:45Mary Beth Barone?

I'm good on the rest of it, so.

• 5:47Benito Skinner?

I'm checking out of Nocturne Alley, whatever the fuck it is.

• 5:51Mary Beth Barone?

So now we call it Turf Hogwarts.

• 5:53Benito Skinner?

  Yeah.

• 5:53Mary Beth Barone?

And you like to say not to bring up Turf Hogwarts, but, so that's how, you can use it in a sentence. And we'll give those examples for each thing.

• 6:00Benito Skinner?

Yeah, if I'm gonna bring up Harry Potter, which obviously it's a huge part of culture, there's no denying that, it's just important to say not to bring up Turf Hogwarts.

• 6:09Mary Beth Barone?

  But.

• 6:10Benito Skinner?

Because I'm not condoning Miss Joe. I know you're listening, Joe.

• 6:14Mary Beth Barone?

And Joe is actually the opposite of our next term, which is taika.

• 6:18Benito Skinner?

  Taika, taika watidhi.

• 6:21Mary Beth Barone?

Taika is one of the originals.

• 6:22Benito Skinner?

Taika, I guess we should maybe start with phaita and then it turned into taika.

• 6:27Mary Beth Barone?

  Taika.

• 6:28Benito Skinner?

So phaita, it started with us saying phaita, the good phaita. I am phaita, the good phaita. Phaita came from, actually, this is a lot of origin. This is kind of Latin. So I don't know if anyone's taken Latin. This is gonna be our Latin episode.

• 6:44Mary Beth Barone?

  It's etymology.

• 6:45Benito Skinner?

Yes. I kept saying, I'm fighting the good fight. I will fight the good fight. And then for some reason, with how my mouth was moving, I just started saying, I will phaita, the good phaita. And it, it was, still hits today as it did that day.

• 7:03Mary Beth Barone?

It took me a second to sort of like, understand. It grew on me.

• 7:07Benito Skinner?

  No, I know.

• 7:08Mary Beth Barone?

At first I was skeptical, but then, then there was one time that I heard it where I go, oh, okay, that makes sense.

• 7:13Benito Skinner?

Yeah, you went, oh my god.

• 7:16Mary Beth Barone?

  Oh my god.

• 7:16Benito Skinner?

  What a mind.

• 7:17Mary Beth Barone?

What a mind. This happens all the time. So from phaita, we then move into taika.

• 7:22Benito Skinner?

Taika. So I started saying, I will phaita, the good phaita. I will baper, the good baper. I will dake, the good dake. And then I said, I will take a watidhi. So taika.

• 7:34Mary Beth Barone?

  It's an adjective.

• 7:35Benito Skinner?

Oh my god, it's an adjective.

• 7:36Mary Beth Barone?

Taika's an adjective. If you've been to Ride Live, we go through it in depth. But basically taika, it's, it's irreverent, it's playful, it's not always good.

• 7:45Benito Skinner?

  No.

• 7:45Mary Beth Barone?

  And it's subjective.

• 7:46Benito Skinner?

  Yeah.

• 7:47Mary Beth Barone?

So taika just means, like, something's taika. I don't know. It's like, you just can tell when it is and when it isn't.

• 7:51Benito Skinner?

You can just tell, like, it's just like so obvious.

• 7:55Mary Beth Barone?

Things that are taika, the heptapods. Gender neutral bathrooms.

• 7:59Benito Skinner?

  Yep.

• 8:00Mary Beth Barone?

The Soho House. Do you see, it's just...

• 8:03Benito Skinner?

No, it can be like, totally.

• 8:05Mary Beth Barone?

It's just a lot of things. It's everything, everywhere, all at once.

• 8:08Benito Skinner?

It's really hard to explain, but like, when you get it, you get it. So we're just not gonna say more than that. It's like, that's so taika.

• 8:14Mary Beth Barone?

That's so taika. So think about it.

• 8:17Benito Skinner?

And when we say, were you scared? I was really scared, is from America's Next Top Model.

• 8:22Mary Beth Barone?

Yeah, that is a Tyra Banks quote.

• 8:23Benito Skinner?

Yeah, so that's also a part of the encyclopedia as well.

• 8:26Mary Beth Barone?

I think that's cheating is important to bring up. So this was a, a ride that you did.

• 8:31Benito Skinner?

Yes. So this was from The New Rules of Cheating, dated back a couple of months. I'm not sure which book this was from, but probably Genesis.

• 8:40Mary Beth Barone?

Probably. If I know you, it's Genesis.

• 8:42Benito Skinner?

Genesis. So I'm sure a lot of the straight men listening, this is probably the point where their ears are perking up because they've heard this a lot from their lovers. I described the new rules of cheating, which it's not exactly what you think it is. It's not just your classic sexual infidelity.

• 9:01Mary Beth Barone?

  In fact, it's anything but.

• 9:02Benito Skinner?

It's everything except, I would say. That's just the tip of the iceberg for cheating. All the things below the waterline, that's what I'm talking about. So if you've ever had an ex that's cheating on your current partner, if you've had sex before, also cheating. If you're going to dinner with someone from your past that knew your ex is cheating. So, you know, you see, there are just so many ways to betray your partner. And I really wanted to alert the masses to this.

• 9:32Mary Beth Barone?

And let them know that you could be getting a lot more gifts out of your partner's actions.

• 9:35Benito Skinner?

A lot more gifts and you yourself might be a rampant cheater.

• 9:39Mary Beth Barone?

  That's so true.

• 9:40Benito Skinner?

Cause he knows I'm unfaithful and it kills him inside. To know that I am happy when someone's gone. I can see him crying. So that's Unfaithful by Rihanna.

• 9:56Mary Beth Barone?

  Audio Jungle.

• 9:57Benito Skinner?

See an Audio Jungle. That gets us into our next bit, which is Audio Jungle, which Mary Beth is the woman who says Audio Jungle on the royalty free music library website, audiojungle.net.

• 10:10Mary Beth Barone?

  Audiojungle.net.

• 10:13Benito Skinner?

That's like, we're not gonna explain that.

• 10:14Mary Beth Barone?

No, it's just like, sometimes you're just talking and it's like, Audio Jungle.

• 10:19Benito Skinner?

Or if you're singing something, it's like, I don't know the rights and I don't want people to think we've licensed these songs.

• 10:24Mary Beth Barone?

  We haven't.

• 10:24Benito Skinner?

We're not gonna take that on. So we have to say, Audio Jungle.

• 10:29Mary Beth Barone?

  Audio Jungle.

• 10:32Benito Skinner?

Looks like it's daddy daughter time. I'm doing the ads alone this week.

• 10:37Benito Skinner?

Mary Beth somehow, some way got me to do these alone. Usually I make her do them alone because men get paid less on the dollar. Okay, so let's get to it. Bonza. Should I be so insane in these? Maybe I should. It's so early and I'm in a hotel. I love you all so much. So Bonza. Bonza is this thing. They've got this new brown rice pasta. It's better than any other gluten free pasta on the market. And I really believe that. I'm on a gluten free journey right now for my skin. Really no other reason. And it's kind of working. I hate to say it, but Bonza, it's not that gluten free pasta where it kind of like is like mush. You know what I mean? It's like the sponge. It's not that. So it's a gluten free pasta that tastes just like the real thing. Oh my God, it's so good. And no more mushy gluten free pasta.

• 11:22Benito Skinner?

It holds up beautifully as leftovers reheated. Or if you need to meal prep, I love when guys say that they're meal prepping. Like that's just, that's amazing. Like to think that far ahead. It's made in Italy. Okay. With just two ingredients, brown rice and chickpeas. You can find it at major retailers like Whole Foods, Target, Thrive Market and more. Visit eatbanza.com and use code RIDE at checkout for 50% off your first order of pasta or mac and cheese. E A T B A N Z A dot com and use code RIDE for 50% off your first order of pasta or mac and cheese.

• 12:03Benito Skinner?

That's eatbanza.com and use code RIDE at checkout for 50% off your first order of pasta or mac and cheese. I wonder who came up with the name Bonza. I'm about to Bonza on you. I love you kids. I'll see you in the next ad. Who knows what I'm gonna say today? So, Her is the only dating app actually built for Suffix by Suffix. That is a collection of words I bet you never thought I'd say. Well, here we are. And it feels really fucking good. Her is perfect for winter restart season. Cold weather, loneliness, tuffing, coming out of hibernation, trying again, wiping the slate clean. Her isn't just swiping, it's a real queer community.

• 12:45Benito Skinner?

IRL dating and queer community events, vibes, red flags, green flags, profile prompts, personality forward. I love that this is what girl on girl is. Guy on guy apps are, I would say, completely different from this in every single way. So I love to see this. And just for anyone who doesn't know what sapphic means, sapphism is an umbrella term for women loving women, any woman attracted to women or in a relationship with another woman, regardless of their sexual orientations, and encompassing the romantic love between women. So I'm just gonna say, download Her if you're looking to kind of have a fresh start this next year. Meet a lady that maybe will rock your world, maybe you'll get married, maybe you'll date for a month and hate each other for the rest of your lives. Like, who's really to say?

• 13:29Benito Skinner?

But might as well put yourself out there and let's put ourselves out there in a safe and gorgeous way in the new year and really just say what we want, okay? I think we can do all of that on Her. I won't be on there. Mary Beth will be, but you'll all be in my hearts as you do it. So I love you so much. Try Her this winter. It's sapphic reset season, and I've always said that.

• 15:34Benito Skinner?

Oh my god. Oh my god. I just went viral.

• 15:37Speaker 00

  Oh my god.

• 15:38Mary Beth Barone?

Terry and our friend Emily have this thing where if like, if a crumb falls on the ground, they're like, oh my god. And you're like, oh my god, what happened? And they're like, I just got like some crumbs on the floor.

• 15:50Benito Skinner?

The same reaction of I got stabbed and this person wore this outfit on a red carpet. Exact same. There's actually no difference. Someone got a bad haircut and someone's been mutilated. Same experience.

• 16:04Mary Beth Barone?

  Someone's house burned down.

• 16:05Benito Skinner?

Someone's literal, everything they own burnt to a crisp, burnt to crispy bacon. Same thing. Oh my god. And I'm like, what could possibly have happened? And then, oh my god, I just went viral. Just kind of came from that.

• 16:19Mary Beth Barone?

  Yeah.

• 16:19Benito Skinner?

Because like virality is kind of, it's really hugely important to us.

• 16:22Mary Beth Barone?

It is. And when you go viral, you should celebrate it as if your house burned down.

• 16:26Benito Skinner?

  As if someone got killed.

• 16:28Mary Beth Barone?

  Yeah.

• 16:28Benito Skinner?

  Yeah.

• 16:29Mary Beth Barone?

  Oh my god.

• 16:31Speaker 00

  My fucking pussy.

• 16:33Mary Beth Barone?

Pussy is pretty straightforward. It's just another word for pussy.

• 16:37Benito Skinner?

Oh, straight guys driving right now in their, their Ford Broncos, they're so relieved. They're like, what? Okay, good. I just.

• 16:44Mary Beth Barone?

One I can wrap my mind around.

• 16:45Benito Skinner?

Yeah, they're like, I've been having a lot of interesting sex lately with my girls.

• 16:49Mary Beth Barone?

  Yeah.

• 16:49Speaker 00

Oh my god, you're fucking my fucking pussy.

• 16:54Benito Skinner?

I did that every morning. That's how I woke up. That's what Mary Beth and Edward awoke to.

• 17:00Mary Beth Barone?

  In the hotel.

• 17:01Benito Skinner?

Seattle shows, for the Portland shows. Edward, one morning, it was silent in the room and he goes, Penny, can you do it?

• 17:09Benito Skinner?

Oh my God, you're begging my begging pussy.

• 17:12Mary Beth Barone?

  He loves it.

• 17:13Benito Skinner?

  Yeah, he does.

• 17:14Mary Beth Barone?

  Fuck her.

• 17:15Benito Skinner?

And he loves my pussy. Fuck her.

• 17:17Mary Beth Barone?

  Edward, you fucker.

• 17:19Benito Skinner?

  Fuck her.

• 17:20Mary Beth Barone?

It's also cohesive. Like, I can just move through these so quickly.

• 17:23Benito Skinner?

No, and you are, but you are the queen of transitions.

• 17:25Mary Beth Barone?

I'm the queen of segues. It's not a big deal. And you're the king of Halloween.

• 17:30Benito Skinner?

  Thank you, fucker.

• 17:31Mary Beth Barone?

  You fucker.

• 17:32Benito Skinner?

Fucker is as easy to get as apple pie on a Sunday morning.

• 17:37Mary Beth Barone?

It's as easy to get as apple pie on a Sunday morning.

• 17:40Benito Skinner?

I mean, you could, so it's just, it's classic. It's so friendly and fun. Fucker.

• 17:45Mary Beth Barone?

  Fucker.

• 17:46Benito Skinner?

You can say it to anyone. Like, if they're just kind of being like a little stinker.

• 17:49Mary Beth Barone?

It's coy, I would say. You fucker.

• 17:52Benito Skinner?

  It's very fucker.

• 17:53Mary Beth Barone?

And it's celebratory. It's not actually like angry.

• 17:55Benito Skinner?

No, because that'd be like motherfucker.

• 17:57Mary Beth Barone?

  Yeah.

• 17:58Benito Skinner?

Which is like if someone like cuts you off or something.

• 18:00Mary Beth Barone?

Yeah, it's different. This is like, oh, you fucker.

• 18:03Benito Skinner?

Fucker, and you point. And it's like, it's very like giving a guy shit because he hasn't proposed. So I'm sure a lot of you have heard this, who's the guys, the straight guys listening. Fucker, come on, put a rock on her finger, fucker.

• 18:16Mary Beth Barone?

Then Fucker Jones is sort of like, what do they call it? It's not a reboot. It's like a spinoff. It's a spinoff of Fucker.

• 18:23Benito Skinner?

  It's a retelling.

• 18:24Mary Beth Barone?

It's a retelling. So we were in the green room at the Denver show.

• 18:27Benito Skinner?

  Yeah.

• 18:28Mary Beth Barone?

And the person who was helping us communicate with the venue.

• 18:32Benito Skinner?

  Yeah.

• 18:32Mary Beth Barone?

We were in there, we were in the green room alone and you said, we were, because the show is supposed to start soon, you said, what did you say?

• 18:38Benito Skinner?

I said, where's Fucker Jones? I will just set the scene for you guys. Mary Beth is always sitting and cold before the shows and she's quiet. And I like need to rev myself up for the show. So I'm like dancing around her. I am tucking ultimately.

• 18:53Mary Beth Barone?

  Mm-hmm. You are.

• 18:55Benito Skinner?

  A lot.

• 18:55Mary Beth Barone?

Fun. But you said, where's fucker Jones? As I was already walking over to the door. Cause I thought that maybe he was gonna come soon.

• 19:02Benito Skinner?

Cause you go, what time are we gonna go onstage?

• 19:04Mary Beth Barone?

And then you said, where's fucker Jones? And I laughed and I said, haha, where's fucker Jones? As I say that, I open the door, he's standing right there.

• 19:10Benito Skinner?

  Miles.

• 19:11Mary Beth Barone?

  Miles, we love you.

• 19:11Benito Skinner?

Miles in Denver, we love you.

• 19:13Mary Beth Barone?

  So that's fucker Jones.

• 19:14Benito Skinner?

  That's love you, kid.

• 19:15Mary Beth Barone?

Love you, kid. I mean, you have to get in a love you, kid.

• 19:18Benito Skinner?

Love you, kid. So, love you, kid is if you say something to your partner, like you're like, oh, hey, did you have a chance to do that? And they're kind of in a bad mood and they're like, no, I didn't fucking, you know, like, whatever. And you're like, love you, kid.

• 19:31Mary Beth Barone?

Love you, kid. You didn't book those flights yet? Love you, kid.

• 19:35Benito Skinner?

Hey, did you get a chance to like text your mom and ask her what time like she's coming? No.

• 19:39Mary Beth Barone?

  No.

• 19:39Benito Skinner?

  Love you, kid.

• 19:41Mary Beth Barone?

Love you, kid. And that kind of gets into its counterpart, love you sweat.

• 19:45Benito Skinner?

Love you sweat is, yeah, it's the same thing. If your partner or someone says like something shitty to you.

• 19:50Mary Beth Barone?

  Oh, really?

• 19:50Benito Skinner?

  Love you sweat.

• 19:51Mary Beth Barone?

Oh, I thought it was more earnest. I'm learning new things.

• 19:54Benito Skinner?

It's a little both, I would say. You could do it either way. And you could do that with love you kid too. Like if you love someone so much, you kind of really, you like kind of get rid of your jaw. And you go, love you, kid. And you kind of hold your face like this. It's very ribbit.

• 20:09Mary Beth Barone?

It's ribbit, which we can get into.

• 20:12Benito Skinner?

You have to take us through ribbit.

• 20:14Mary Beth Barone?

So, we were at my parents' house and we were brushing our teeth. We'd just gone to a chili cook off and we were talking about.

• 20:23Benito Skinner?

They're so confused by all this.

• 20:25Mary Beth Barone?

  They were, we were talking.

• 20:26Benito Skinner?

Setting the scene in that way. Oh yeah, I get it. You're brushing your teeth after a chili cook off. I could see, I could see it now.

• 20:32Mary Beth Barone?

I could see it now. Which I can see it now is when you are describing something and you just want to make it a little bit more cinematic and you say, I can see it now.

• 20:41Benito Skinner?

  Yeah.

• 20:41Mary Beth Barone?

So, we were brushing our teeth after the chili cook off. I can see it now. And we were just having a giggle and we talked about Ribbit Girl, who is this internet sensation who dresses as a frog. She cosplays as a frog and she says, cute? I'm not cute. I mean, my parents say I'm cute, but I never really heard it from anyone else. Thanks, I guess.

• 21:04Benito Skinner?

  Thanks, I guess.

• 21:05Mary Beth Barone?

But she often will say, she'll start and end videos saying, ribbit. So then, the Wonka trailer had come out and you were doing some Timothy Chalamet impressions. And you said, oh my god.

• 21:16Benito Skinner?

Quiet up and listen down. Don't scratch that. Reverse.

• 21:20Mary Beth Barone?

And then we laughed at the level of internet literacy you would need to have to understand those references. And we decided that anyone who could understand that reference without it being explained to them should be in a mental institution.

• 21:34Benito Skinner?

Yeah, and should come to Ride Live.

• 21:35Mary Beth Barone?

You're too online, but come to Ride Live.

• 21:37Benito Skinner?

And if you're listening to this, you either are that person, or you're dating that person. Congratulations, you're a winner, baby.

• 21:43Mary Beth Barone?

Congratulations. Well, I guess on the topic of winners, we can get into the Fabu Awards. It's just, it's a concept, the Fabu and the Bestie of the Year Awards.

• 21:53Benito Skinner?

It's just like an award show that we made up, but it's like some people are bestie of the year, like Mary Beth is my bestie of the year. She beat Stassi Baby, who's Kylie Jenner's best friend. Shout out Stassi, we love you doll, but we had to take the crown. Mary Beth had to do it on him, so she did.

• 22:08Mary Beth Barone?

I had to, and you know what? Stassi was so nice about it.

• 22:11Benito Skinner?

  Yeah, she's a total doll.

• 22:13Mary Beth Barone?

Around awards season is when it's the Oscars, the Globes, Bestie of the Year, and then the Fabu Awards, which is just another award show that we made up for fabulous people. But they don't have the Fabu Awards in England.

• 22:22Benito Skinner?

Oh, of course not. It's just the Brits.

• 22:24Mary Beth Barone?

The Brits, yeah. It's just the Brits.

• 22:26Benito Skinner?

The BAFTAs, I would say, but also there is the worstie awards. So anyone who's being a worstie, you know, they're probably nominated.

• 22:34Mary Beth Barone?

  They are.

• 22:35Benito Skinner?

You know, they might take the crown.

• 22:36Mary Beth Barone?

We know Republic Records got nominated for a worstie. The year that Hailee Steinfeld's single came out, they commented on her Instagram about it, and she said, are you gonna post about it?

• 22:46Benito Skinner?

And we think about that every single day of our lives.

• 22:48Mary Beth Barone?

  Every day of our lives.

• 22:49Benito Skinner?

Because what that taught us is that you can call people out.

• 22:52Mary Beth Barone?

  You can, and you should.

• 22:53Benito Skinner?

You can take on Big Pharma.

• 22:55Mary Beth Barone?

You can call them out, you can take on Big Pharma.

• 22:58Benito Skinner?

You can, you can take on Big Pharma.

• 23:00Mary Beth Barone?

And you know what? You can also, I'm trying to think of a good segue.

• 23:04Benito Skinner?

  Your segues are insane today.

• 23:06Mary Beth Barone?

  We're having fun.

• 23:07Benito Skinner?

  They're incredible.

• 23:10Benito Skinner?

Nutrafol, baby, you got that forehead hair, it looks so good, yeah. That's free Nutrafol, you can have that. Well, I guess you paid for the ad. So here's the thing. Oh, I just made myself laugh. Love thyself.

• 23:24Benito Skinner?

Here's my thing. The holidays can get busy and overwhelming quickly. And thoughtful gifts that encourage slowing down and prioritizing self-care always stand out. With Nutriful, give the gift of stronger and faster growing hair. Should I do this to my dad and just completely like, just obliterate him? I think I should. I think he'd be down. So this holiday season, Nutriful is the perfect gift for anyone on your list. Nutriful is the number one dermatologist recommended hair growth supplement brand, trusted by over one and a half million people. And can I just say, this weekend, Mary Beth and I were at a cocktail bar and Sebastian Stan walked in. Let me tell you about that fucking full head of hair he had. Thick, strong, and it was fast growing. I could tell. With less shedding in just three to six months, that's the Nutriful promise that I always

• 24:09Benito Skinner?

keep talking about, especially at parties with people I've just met. Give the gift of confidence this holiday season with Nutriful and teach your family or friends a lesson. Whether you're treating yourself or someone on your list, visibly healthier, thicker hair is the gift that keeps on fucking giving. Right now, Nutriful is offering our listeners, my listeners, because I built this from the ground up by myself, I'll just say it, $10 off your first month subscription, plus free shipping when you go to nutrafol.com and use promo code RIDE. That's nutrafol.com promo code RIDE for $10 off. God, my hair's fucking thick. It's dawning on me that my voice might be nasally today, but maybe it's cutie. I don't know. So here's the thing, I'm going to talk about Joan's Road from Miss Bobby Brown.

• 24:54Benito Skinner?

She's so goaded. But I use the Miracle Balm. It's kind of this like delicious, kind of like bronzy blush hybrid, I would say. I put a little bit of that on my cheeky since the girls go wild. I look sun-kissed, I look like boy next door, I look a little flushed, like maybe I just got up to something crazy. It's really cute and it's kind of like all I've been doing lately, just put a little bit on my cheeks. Here's the thing, holiday events and parties are about to be in full swing and I think you're probably already experiencing a lot of that right now. And getting ready always feels like such a hassle. Too much makeup, too many steps and never enough time. It doesn't look natural, feels like a mask, feels heavy. You're unsure of the best way to do makeup and it never looks good.

• 25:35Benito Skinner?

Jones Road is a minimalist makeup brand founded by makeup artist Bobby Brown goaded that creates versatile and easy to use products that simplify your routine. Every formula is packed with clean, skin-loving ingredients. And starting November 6th, Jones Road is launching their most giftable and exclusive holiday collection yet. All five limited edition kits in the collection are trios that include new holiday shades, products, and packaging. Their best seller is Miracle Balm, which Benny Drama uses. In this holiday season, simplify your routine with makeup that's clean, strategic, and multifunctional. And don't miss out on their limited edition holiday sets. They won't be here for long, okay? And once they're gone, they're gone. Also, as a treat for my listeners, you'll get a free Cool Gloss on your first purchase when you use code RIDE at checkout.

• 26:20Benito Skinner?

Just head to jonesroad.com and use code RIDE at checkout. After you purchase, they will ask you where you heard about them. I think you know where. From Benny Drama, not Mary Beth. Please support our show and tell them our show sent you.

• 26:34Mary Beth Barone?

So from are you gonna post about it? I think it's only natural to get into. There are easier ways to tell me you listen to Ride. Because sometimes people will do and post things, or they'll say things, they'll be quoted as saying something that is just so Ride.

• 26:48Benito Skinner?

  It's so Ride-coded.

• 26:50Mary Beth Barone?

Or Ride heritage, which is sort of another thing that we can get into. But it's basically like, sometimes like, okay, let's say like CVS has a Ferrero Rocher display. It's like, there's easier ways to tell me you listen to Ride.

• 27:02Benito Skinner?

Exactly. It's almost like starting to be too much at this point.

• 27:05Mary Beth Barone?

  I know.

• 27:06Benito Skinner?

But we did an episode on bobs, fuck-ass bobs. So it's like, anyone who has a bob, it's like, well, there are easier ways to tell me you listen to Ride.

• 27:13Mary Beth Barone?

There's easier ways. And my mom sent me some screenshots. She was watching the Beanie Baby documentary. And this woman is being interviewed and she says, it's all about family. And then her kids go, Ribbit, Ribbit, Ribbit, because they're playing with the frog Beanie Baby. And my mom goes, there's easier ways to tell us you listen to Ride.

• 27:30Benito Skinner?

If you're gonna do the ultimate Ribbit challenge, I mean, come on.

• 27:33Mary Beth Barone?

  I mean, come on.

• 27:34Benito Skinner?

It's written all over your lips.

• 27:35Mary Beth Barone?

And then, of course, we get into Ride Heritage. So Ride Heritage is when we have an episode that's just like, encapsulates everything that Ride is about. And it comes from this quote by a soccer and/or football coach, depending where you live. About soccer heritage and or football heritage. So we've made it our own with Ride Heritage.

• 27:53Benito Skinner?

  Mm hmm.

• 27:53Mary Beth Barone?

And some episodes just are Ride Heritage and we don't know before going into it, but they just become Ride Heritage.

• 27:58Benito Skinner?

They become Ride Heritage. I will say the Baronies, which is the name of people who listen. And for anyone who doesn't understand that of why it's Baroni, because that's just Mary Beth Barone. They're like, how am I in that?

• 28:09Mary Beth Barone?

  Because you're family.

• 28:10Benito Skinner?

Yeah, because I'm family. And if we got married, I would obviously take Mary Beth's last name. So our kids would be the Baronies.

• 28:17Mary Beth Barone?

  The Baronies, 100%.

• 28:18Benito Skinner?

Pretty obvious. I don't think it's that heady. I don't think I should have had to explain that. Thank you very much.

• 28:24Mary Beth Barone?

Edward's gonna take my name too.

• 28:25Benito Skinner?

Which gets me into Nina Drama. So I had a sexbot video sketch where I essentially took a bunch of these sexbot comments and brought them to life via a character. I wanted to humanize these bot comments. And it turned into this, I would say, fabulous character, Nina Drama.

• 28:47Mary Beth Barone?

  One of my favorites, really.

• 28:49Benito Skinner?

She definitely pops up. I will say she is the voice in my head a lot of the time. If I want to say something on Ride, sometimes Nina, she takes over.

• 28:57Mary Beth Barone?

  She speaks.

• 28:58Benito Skinner?

  Yeah.

• 28:59Mary Beth Barone?

And it's nice to have an alter ego you can tap into.

• 29:02Benito Skinner?

Of course. We all deserve that.

• 29:04Mary Beth Barone?

One of your other alter egos, I would say, is you doing a jazz standard of Welcome to My Island, Charlie's verse.

• 29:11Benito Skinner?

Yes, there's a song called Welcome to My Island by Caroline Polachek. Charli XCX remixed it with George Daniel, her lover. Fuck her.

• 29:22Mary Beth Barone?

  Fuck her.

• 29:24Benito Skinner?

And so I started to do kind of a jazz standard version of her remix. So there's a lot of layers there as well.

• 29:30Mary Beth Barone?

There's a lot of layers and that gets into, you have to know Taylor Swift and Katy Perry lyrics because sometimes you'll say something or I'll say something where it just either quotes partially a Taylor Swift lyric accidentally and then we'll just get into the song. So it's like, you kind of just have to know those things. You have to know both of their discographies because sometimes we'll just say like

• 29:50Benito Skinner?

  Swish, swish, bish.

• 29:52Mary Beth Barone?

Actually, sometimes we'll just say Another One in the Casket.

• 29:54Benito Skinner?

  Yeah.

• 29:54Mary Beth Barone?

If you don't know that song by Katy Perry, swish, swish.

• 29:57Benito Skinner?

  Yeah.

• 29:57Mary Beth Barone?

  You're gonna be totally lost.

• 29:58Benito Skinner?

Will you be my witness? Katy Perry.

• 30:00Mary Beth Barone?

  Katy Perry.

• 30:01Benito Skinner?

Best believe I'm still bejeweled. Baby love, I think I've been a little too kind. I would say bejeweled. Start with bejeweled if you're gonna.

• 30:09Mary Beth Barone?

  Start with bejeweled.

• 30:10Benito Skinner?

  Bejeweled and masterminded.

• 30:12Mary Beth Barone?

And then, of course, enunciate the words.

• 30:15Benito Skinner?

  Oh my god.

• 30:15Mary Beth Barone?

This is a quote from Katy on Idol.

• 30:17Benito Skinner?

Katy Perry is a judge on American Idol. And there was this singer who she walked in like a bat out of hell. And she said,

• 30:35Benito Skinner?

and Katy was there. She had full cow print outfit on. She looked fabulous. And she said, slow down. Enunciate the words.

• 30:44Mary Beth Barone?

  Enunciate the words.

• 30:47Benito Skinner?

And the girl made it to Hollywood, thanks to Katy Perry's notes. So.

• 30:51Mary Beth Barone?

  I just love that.

• 30:52Benito Skinner?

  Quiet down and listen up.

• 30:54Mary Beth Barone?

Listen up. It's a Tiffany check. Tiffany check is when I wear my Tiffany bracelet. And it makes the most soothing sound in the world, other than when your makeup and your makeup bag is clacking together. This is number one, the makeup bag is two.

• 31:05Benito Skinner?

Ooh, chills down my little spine.

• 31:09Benito Skinner?

That feels good. That feels like a toe curling orgasm.

• 31:13Mary Beth Barone?

  Get into it.

• 31:14Benito Skinner?

Toe curling orgasm. It's pretty simple. This podcast studio is about to blow up. We're giving it so much info.

• 31:21Mary Beth Barone?

I know. I almost think we need to do a part two.

• 31:23Benito Skinner?

I can't tell if the segues make it more confusing or.

• 31:26Mary Beth Barone?

  I don't care.

• 31:27Benito Skinner?

Literally, it's kind of an insane. It's actually so hard to understand, I think.

• 31:32Mary Beth Barone?

It's circular. As we said, it's a circle.

• 31:34Benito Skinner?

It's so hard. Toe curling orgasm. Mary Beth, she's living in my house. Fuck, this is so hard to do. So Mary Beth.

• 31:43Mary Beth Barone?

You can do living in my house right now.

• 31:44Benito Skinner?

To start toe curling orgasm, I want to tell you about I'm Living in Your House, which is this video. And I will say, if some of these things you're not understanding, you need to follow at Red.

• 31:57Mary Beth Barone?

  Oh, my god. Hundred percent.

• 31:59Benito Skinner?

Because if you're not following Red.

• 32:00Mary Beth Barone?

It's gonna fill in the blanks.

• 32:01Benito Skinner?

  You're only getting half.

• 32:02Mary Beth Barone?

You're only getting half the story.

• 32:04Benito Skinner?

So there's this video of Lea Michele, Miss Girl, at the Met Gala. And she's talking to Lala Anthony, who's just absolutely incredible. She was just like, she's a star.

• 32:15Mary Beth Barone?

  She's shutting it down.

• 32:16Benito Skinner?

She's shutting it down. And before they start the interview, Lala says, Lee, I know there was something you wanted to tell me. And Leanne Michelle goes, well, yeah, I'm, I'm living in your house.

• 32:26Mary Beth Barone?

  La La Space?

• 32:27Benito Skinner?

  She's like, what? It's just, it's so.

• 32:31Mary Beth Barone?

  It's kind of perfect television.

• 32:33Benito Skinner?

  It's perfect.

• 32:33Mary Beth Barone?

And it plays on this other joke that we have that you'll learn more about when we do the Jennifer Lawrence carpool. But basically in the movie Mother, I won't give any spoilers, but at one point someone's painting your house. And she goes, why are you painting my house? So it's actually like a double whammy, that one.

• 32:48Benito Skinner?

  Mm hmm.

• 32:49Mary Beth Barone?

So when I stay at your house, now I say, I'm living at your house and.

• 32:54Benito Skinner?

I'm living in your house. And when Mary Beth is living in my house, I like to knock on the door, the guest room in the morning. And she says, how'd you sleep? And I said, I had the most toe curling orgasm last night. And it's just as simple as that.

• 33:13Mary Beth Barone?

  It's crass.

• 33:13Benito Skinner?

  It's crass.

• 33:14Mary Beth Barone?

It's really crass, but we love it.

• 33:17Benito Skinner?

  Yeah.

• 33:18Mary Beth Barone?

Okay. So what we're finding right now is that we actually have a lot more to do. So we're gonna do a part two of this that will come out next week. So we hope that you listened to this and had it a toe curling orgasm.

• 33:33Benito Skinner?

But I will say, listen back to this from the top, just so that you, you get it.

• 33:37Mary Beth Barone?

When you try to listen to part two, when you listen to part two, you're saying, just listen to this one again.

• 33:42Benito Skinner?

Do it again. Just, we have this, you can always come back to it.

• 33:45Mary Beth Barone?

Cite your sources, bibliography, we're excited. This is what we're doing. Thanks, guys.

• 33:51Benito Skinner?

  Thank you so much.

• 33:52Mary Beth Barone?

For part two of the Encyclopedia of Ride.

• 33:55Benito Skinner?

  I can see it now.

• 34:00Speaker 00

  Oh, my exit.

• 34:01Mary Beth Barone?

Benny babe, eyes on the road.

• 34:04Mary Beth Barone?

  Benny, go!

• 34:12Speaker 03
