The wrongs we must right, the fights we must win, the future we must secure together for our nation. This is what's in front of us. This determines what's next for all of us. We are Marines. We were made for this.

Thank you to our partner Royal Caribbean. Dude, have you seen this? Royal Caribbean just dropped The Legend of the Seas. It's the biggest cruise ship on the planet. Like, nothing's even close to being this big. And it's sailing out of Fort Lauderdale, starting this November.

• 0:38Speaker 02

That's right. This thing is stacked. Seven pools, more places to eat than you can even count. I mean, they have something for everybody.

• 0:47Travis Kelce?

Like, bring the kids, bring mom and dad, shoot, bring the whole crew. Everybody's got a spot. That's what makes it special.

• 0:54Speaker 02

And the entertainment, Latin music, ice skating, full-on Broadway shows. It's pretty amazing. Pretty much everything you want in one place. Oh, and did I mention there's a water park?

• 1:04Travis Kelce?

You didn't, and that's, that'd be the kicker for me.

• 1:06Speaker 02

  I love a water park.

• 1:07Travis Kelce?

But the crazy one? Crown's Edge, a ropes course off the side of the ship, not for the faint of heart, brother.

• 1:16Speaker 02

They've also got Playmaker, sports bar, and arcade. So that means games on every screen. I love a good arcade sports place combination.

• 1:25Travis Kelce?

All right, Captain, get the family on the new Legend of the Seas, sailing November 2026 from Fort Lauderdale, Florida.

Thank you to our sponsor, Colgate Total.

• 1:40Speaker 02

On offense, it's important to prevent problems from the moment the ball is snapped.

• 1:44Travis Kelce?

That's true. Otherwise, you're just out there running cardio. Can't get open for a big play.

• 1:51Speaker 02

But it's not just football. There's a lot of things you need to prevent before they start.

• 1:55Travis Kelce?

  Yeah, like in your mouth.

• 1:57Speaker 02

  My mouth specifically?

• 1:59Travis Kelce?

I mean, probably yours too, but I'm talking everybody's mouth. There's bacteria in there that can lead to oral health problems like cavities, gingivitis.

• 2:10Speaker 02

Right. Yeah, all the nasty stuff. But the good news is you can prevent these problems before they start with Colgate Total Active Prevention. It's like having a good offensive line for your mouth.

• 2:21Travis Kelce?

Ooh, exactly. With twice daily brushing, Colgate Total prevents oral health problems like cavities and gingivitis.

• 2:29Speaker 02

And it's not just one contributing player either. It's a whole system. Toothpaste, mouthwash, and a special toothbrush.

• 2:36Travis Kelce?

Now that's the squad you want fighting for your mouth.

• 2:39Speaker 02

Colgate Total is like having a full playbook in your bathroom, working to help prevent oral health problems before they start.

• 2:50Speaker 03

Do you practice next to the electrical substation?

• 2:53Travis Kelce?

No, you can't. You gotta stay away from that.

• 2:55Speaker 03

Dude, I'm all in on this.

• 2:56Speaker 02

  Somebody's gonna be at the...

• 2:58Travis Kelce?

  The AFC is the Patriots.

• 2:59Speaker 02

Is it always just switch or does it go to the team with the best record? That's the home team?

• 3:03Travis Kelce?

I think it switches every year because it's whoever the home team is for the Super Bowl.

• 3:13Travis Kelce?

Well, 92% of us on today's bonus episode, we are going to check the Heights hotline to answer your Super Bowl questions. That's right. We've asked you to submit them. You have, we will now listen to them. Let's get right into it. Heights Hotline, Super Bowl edition.

• 3:58Speaker 04

Hey Jason and Travis, no dumb question. What's the least glamorous part of the Super Bowl that fans never think about, but players deal with all the time?

• 4:08Speaker 05

  Thank you.

• 4:08Speaker 02

  Least glamorous.

• 4:10Travis Kelce?

I mean, everything about the Super Bowl is glam. There's nothing that's like the least glamour. The least glamorous is probably, I mean.

• 4:19Speaker 02

  Playing the game?

• 4:20Travis Kelce?

Yeah. Um, I think she's asking like, what's the, our like one part of the Super Bowl that we don't enjoy? If we're in it, maybe?

• 4:27Speaker 02

  Oh, it's easy. It's, that's the media.

• 4:29Travis Kelce?

Yeah. The media day is the most like necessarily unnecessary thing ever.

• 4:33Speaker 02

I mean, there's part, some of it's cool just because there's like so many people there and it's like, that's fine. It just is a long thing that you're done with. And by that point, you don't want to answer the same questions you've been asked a thousand times. There's some people that go to it and like Nickelodeon and ones that have some interesting questions that make it kind of worth it, but I don't know. I, I, that's probably the part that you're more, most like, I'm kind of over this.

• 4:57Travis Kelce?

Yeah. It's definitely the one that the players, uh, hate the worst or yeah, hate the most.

• 5:02Speaker 02

There was also something we did where there's like a lot of like corporate sponsors that I think was at like a mall of America at one point. And it just was like another, it was like a basically just a giant appearance that was a pain in the ass, but.

• 5:15Travis Kelce?

  Yeah.

• 5:16Speaker 02

Basically all the stuff that doesn't involve you just playing football and doing what you always want.

• 5:20Travis Kelce?

I call it hoopla. You just got a bunch of fucking hoopla during the biggest game. And the hoopla means something to the excitement of the game for sure. Like a lot of the sound bits and everything. And to be honest, it was kind of fun when we were in the Super Bowl together because we got to just talk about our family and how amazing our mom and dad and, uh, the city of Cleveland Heights were, but, um, it can definitely get, uh, pretty.

• 5:43Speaker 02

  Just a long week.

• 5:44Travis Kelce?

  Yeah. Glamours. G L A M O.

• 5:51Speaker 02

  O U R O U S.

• 5:54Travis Kelce?

There's no two, there's not two.

• 5:56Speaker 02

  There's no O U R.

• 5:57Travis Kelce?

There's no, there's only one. Whoever said, they just spelled it wrong. Fergie knows how to spell it.

• 6:03Speaker 02

  G L A M O.

• 6:07Travis Kelce?

  R. O U S. First class up in the sky. All right. Let's get to the next one.

• 6:14Speaker 05

Jason and Travis, I know you guys have been to your fair share of Super Bowls and the torridly gotten those reins as, you know, memory souver- souvenirs and everything.

• 6:28Speaker 05

Uh, but I was wondering, what is the weirdest item that you've gotten or captured yourself from one of the Super Bowls that you've been to? Okay, let me know, bye.

• 6:46Travis Kelce?

I was just fucking choked on laughing.

• 6:50Speaker 02

Do you have a, you have a good answer?

• 6:52Travis Kelce?

Do you still have that luchador mask?

• 6:54Speaker 02

  Oh, man.

• 6:57Speaker 02

I, I owe that back. That's not a Super Bowl that I was in though.

• 7:01Travis Kelce?

Oh, you can't count that. Um, Super Bowl that I was in?

• 7:07Travis Kelce?

  I mean, no, not really.

• 7:11Speaker 02

I feel like I, there's gotta be something that I kept that I just is very weird.

• 7:16Travis Kelce?

Yeah, I have it in a box in storage or something. The media days, everybody comes up to you and you'll get a few, you'll get a handful of souvenirs here and there. So I definitely remember grabbing some stuff and being like, oh, that'd be cool to keep in like, look at later on.

• 7:29Speaker 02

I want to say I got Selix jockstrap from the game.

• 7:32Travis Kelce?

  Wow, jockstrap.

• 7:34Speaker 02

I was gonna, I was gonna mount it with his jersey that I had as game jersey.

• 7:39Travis Kelce?

Where the fuck are you gonna put? Jason, do you even, are you even gonna have anywhere in your house where you're gonna mount your teammates jerseys?

• 7:47Speaker 02

  Oh, yeah.

• 7:47Travis Kelce?

  Yeah?

• 7:48Speaker 02

Am I, am I, yeah, in the weight room.

• 7:50Travis Kelce?

  Oh, all right. Nice.

• 7:51Speaker 02

I mean, all over the place.

• 7:52Travis Kelce?

Nice. I didn't know you were that, you were a show off your jerseys kinda guy. Nice.

• 7:57Speaker 02

I mean, I'm, I'm generally not, but no, I do plan on, uh, displaying a lot of the jerseys I've acquired over the years.

• 8:02Travis Kelce?

  Nice.

• 8:03Speaker 02

Especially guys that I play with.

• 8:04Travis Kelce?

You're gonna put my jersey up there?

• 8:05Speaker 02

  Of course.

• 8:06Travis Kelce?

You don't know where my jersey is?

• 8:08Speaker 02

I know exactly where it is. I have all my jerseys stored, uh, downstairs. They're all in the same.

• 8:14Travis Kelce?

  You are downstairs.

• 8:16Speaker 02

No, no, no. There's a downstairs to this. This is the den. There's the basement. I no, I do not wash anything.

• 8:23Travis Kelce?

Can't wash them. You gotta feel the, you gotta feel the dirt and the sweat. You gotta feel that. I'm not even, I, I'm not even in on like putting them in glass. I kinda wanna just, I wanna be able to like, touch the, the, the fabric.

• 8:36Speaker 02

Oh, that's interesting. Just put it on a hanger and hang it on the wall?

• 8:38Travis Kelce?

  Yeah, hang them, yeah.

• 8:40Speaker 02

I have confetti from the 2017 game.

• 8:42Travis Kelce?

  There you go. Yeah.

• 8:44Speaker 02

Ring box that, that doesn't have a sub.

• 8:48Travis Kelce?

But you got the confetti. That's good shit. Yeah, the confetti. I definitely got some confetti. I grabbed some confetti off that floor, threw it in my bucket.

• 8:57Speaker 02

All right. Anything else that's kinda crazy and wacky? No?

• 9:01Travis Kelce?

  Nothing too crazy.

• 9:03Speaker 02

Thank you to our sponsor, Allstate.

• 9:05Travis Kelce?

Checking Allstate first could save you hundreds on car insurance. That's smart. Not checking the car lights are off before heading in for the night? Not smart. This is gonna hurt in the morning.

• 9:37Speaker 02

Thank you to our partner, Adobe Acrobat.

• 9:40Travis Kelce?

Oh, the Acrobat has been reimagined for powerful collaboration and to help you create high-quality work all at one place.

• 9:49Speaker 02

Brandon, can you give us a hand here in showing the 92%ers how to use the incredible new features?

• 9:55Travis Kelce?

I love it when Brandon shows us things.

• 9:56Speaker 02

  Please?

• 9:57Travis Kelce?

Less work for us, more work for Brandon.

• 9:59Speaker 03

Thanks, guys. I never mind doing more work for you. But that's right, guys. Adobe's got new features like PDF Spaces, which basically helps you pull anything from the internet that you might want, and let's just call it a podcast, into one document and figure out where it goes a lot faster. Usually when we put together a show, we have to dig through a lot of articles, game notes, box scores, highlights, screenshots of tweets, whatever Jake was mad about the Jets doing that week. It's a lot of stuff that goes into making the show. And honestly, the segment that's toughest to put together is Stamp of the Week. There are a lot more nominees that we never really even show you guys. We look through everything from game highlights, what's going around the internet. I watched a bunch of clips of people in Philadelphia going crazy in the snow. That was my personal stamp of the week.

• 10:41Speaker 03

But we can drop everything into one PDF space and this tool can take it all into one document, put it there, organize it. We can ask the AI assistant, hey, AI assistant, based on everything here, who is the strongest stamp of the week nominee and why?

• 10:56Speaker 03

Do we end up just yelling out names to each other? Yes. But before that, we can actually have some kind of plan of attack.

• 11:02Travis Kelce?

Well, thank you, intern Brandon. You're the best intern podcast could ever ask. Faster prep and better picks so we can get more done together.

• 11:12Speaker 02

That's right. Learn more at adobe.com slash do that with Akaba. Want to do the next one? One more?

• 11:18Speaker 05

Good morning, Jason. Good morning, Travis. This is Candace. And here's my not so dumb question. With all of the excitement and media obligations and other things surrounding two weeks prior to the Super Bowl. Do the players as professional athletes mentally prepare and focus for the biggest game of their lives?

• 11:43Speaker 05

I hope I hear an answer. Thank you so much.

• 11:44Speaker 02

All right. Uh, you mentally prepare for it the same way you do every week? That's one of the things that like the NFL schedule and like the way you operate each week, it becomes so routine and so kind of second nature that you just are locked into it. And even though there are a lot of distractions and there are things that are easy to get you out of your comfort zone, you really fall back to like the same training that got you there. And you're on your second week of it at that point. The same week of the Super Bowl. So like you're, you're kind of just going through the same thing over and over and over again.

• 12:23Speaker 02

You're going to everything you do that Tuesday, the same thing you did the Tuesday before, everything you did the Wednesday that week, same thing you did the Wednesday before. So. I think that routine and schedule kind of always does it did a great job for me at least of making you lock in on the game and avoid, you know, all the media and family things and whatnot that end up just being like a lot of outside things that can distract you from the task at hand.

• 12:49Travis Kelce?

Couldn't have said it better myself. I think the biggest thing is that you get two weeks. You get a week in Kansas or you get a week at home and then you get a week at the Super Bowl. So mental preparation, you typically get the entire playbook. It might switch. They might get a maybe four or five new different plays when you get down to the Super Bowl, but you pretty much know, or at least this is how we did it in Kansas City, is that you know your playbook before you even go down to the kind of the circus that is the Super Bowl with the media and all that stuff. So mentally you have everything before you even go to the

• 13:25Speaker 02

  Already rep.

• 13:25Travis Kelce?

Exactly. So you kind of already have that aspect of it. And then when you get down there, you just can't lose focus on, on, you know, the game and can't let the excitement of it get too big or can't let your mind wander at all the stuff that comes with the Super Bowl, which can be pretty challenging for a lot of people.

• 13:45Speaker 02

  No doubt.

• 13:45Speaker 03

Can I ask one follow up?

• 13:46Speaker 02

  Oh God, Brandon.

• 13:48Speaker 03

The week that we're dead week, do you guys like check out in that week and then start like get back into the Super Bowl after that weekend? Or is it like as soon as you know you're in, it starts?

• 14:00Speaker 02

No, that's what Travis was just saying. So the week, the week, this week, right now, the Patriots and the Seahawks.

• 14:07Speaker 03

  They're not on vacation.

• 14:08Travis Kelce?

Right now, like literally right now, they're practicing.

• 14:11Speaker 02

They're doing the exact same thing they would do if the game was going to be played this Sunday.

• 14:15Speaker 03

Okay, that's kind of what I'm asking. Yeah.

• 14:17Speaker 02

No, I know. We also kind of just said this, so it's fine. We'll answer it again, though.

• 14:20Speaker 03

  Oh, okay.

• 14:22Speaker 02

The exact same thing you do for a normal work.

• 14:27Travis Kelce?

Well, Brendan, it's clear that you're not listening to anything we're saying, Brendan.

• 14:30Speaker 03

I have other stuff going on.

• 14:33Travis Kelce?

What do you got, birds outside?

• 14:35Speaker 03

There's some, there's some cool birds outside. I'm like, whoa, these fucking assholes talking about?

• 14:38Speaker 02

  Brown eyed warbler outside.

• 14:40Speaker 03

I saw Scrub Jay, fuck out of my face. All right, I'll, I'll take my answer off the air. Jesus.

• 14:46Speaker 02

So typically the way the NFL schedule works is like, there's something you do on Tuesday, Wednesday, Thursday, Friday. Our, a structured schedule of like Tuesday, you're going to come and get an introductory to the team you're playing. You're going to re-watch last week's film.

• 14:59Travis Kelce?

Also like nice recovery day. Yeah. Nice flush.

• 15:03Speaker 02

Wednesday, you're getting your first lift in for the week and you're also watching, um, you're doing, you're installing first and second down plays, right? Typically the run game especially is a Wednesday day.

• 15:13Travis Kelce?

Call it the base game plan. The majority of the plays you're going to be running. Yes.

• 15:17Speaker 02

Thursday is the day where you're, um, repping most of the passing game, right? So you're doing like third down, uh, second and long plays.

• 15:26Travis Kelce?

It's a little more special situation, like third down, fourth down, short yardage, goal line, backed up. It's all those kind of special and it, it obviously this differs with every team. Some teams might do red zone on a different day. Some teams may do those special situations on a different day, but typically you take one day for base. Pass game, third down, short yardage, specific situations, and then red zone.

• 15:50Speaker 02

Yeah. And then Friday is when we would do the, the bulk of the red zone install. On Friday, you would hit your two minute plays that you're thinking about repping in the game. A lot of those other specialty plays that are the last ones. And that's more of like the fast Friday, you're in and out. It's a super quick day. A lot of heavy walkthrough potential. And then, uh, you're going to repeat all of those days when you're in.

• 16:15Speaker 03

  When you're on site.

• 16:16Speaker 02

  Wherever you're at in this.

• 16:17Speaker 03

  Got it.

• 16:17Speaker 02

That's why what Trav was saying, like you're kind of doing the same thing again, but you've already repped it once. So you don't need to be as like locked into it. You're kind of just re-engineering and kind of bringing that back to the front of your mind.

• 16:31Speaker 03

Muscle memory, but in a new location.

• 16:33Travis Kelce?

You're sharpening it. You're sharpening it up. Yeah.

• 16:35Speaker 03

All right. That's all I wanted to know.

• 16:36Travis Kelce?

Maybe getting a different look than you didn't get in the week prior.

• 16:40Speaker 02

They'll do that too. Yeah, they'll give you if you're.

• 16:43Travis Kelce?

They'll ask the scout team, yeah.

• 16:45Speaker 02

They might give you a nickel rap or they'll give you a, you know, a certain type of blitz or something like that, that they might do at a high rate in that situation, whatever.

• 16:53Speaker 03

Look at this, look at this detailed answer we just gave. Look at that. We got a little extra on that. I feel like I've learned something.

• 16:58Travis Kelce?

  Yeah.

• 16:59Speaker 03

Jake, get the fuck out of here.

• 17:01Speaker 06

What do you guys do the, the week before you go to the Super Bowl though?

• 17:05Speaker 02

Fuck off Jake. All right. That wraps up another edition of Heights Hotline. Once again, Heights Hotline was brought to you by Allstate. We'll have some more bonus content for you all in February. So stay tuned to what that might be.
