• 0:46Patrick Bet-David?

Don't ask me how we were able to pull this off, but we got four of the most influential, powerful voices in the Brazilian community. Paulo Figueiredo.

• 0:55Speaker 04

  Okay, yes or no, please?

• 0:57Patrick Bet-David?

This has nothing to do with what we're discussing.

• 0:59Speaker 04

Yes or no? We claim I can ask. This is my hearing.

• 1:01Patrick Bet-David?

The third son of Jair Bosenero, Eduardo Bolsonaro. It seems that your father and President Trump have a natural affinity.

• 1:09Speaker 05

Yes, my father and Trump, he doesn't follow the politically correctly. So what he thinks, he tell people. If you are going to like it or not, it's up to you.

• 1:18Patrick Bet-David?

  Nikolas Ferreira.

• 1:24Patrick Bet-David?

  Gustavo Geyer.

• 1:26Speaker 06

What's happening in the world today, that's not just in Brazil, that totalitarianism is a virus.

• 1:41Patrick Bet-David?

All right. So don't ask me how we were able to pull this off, but we got four of the most influential, powerful voices in the Brazilian community, specifically on the conservative side, especially out of time like this with all the stuff that's going on in Brazil. Whether you were watching what happened with the elections or the January 8 event in 2023. On my right, he's been on before. Paulo Figueiredo. I think I said it right. I got it somewhere close to it. He's been on before. Probably one of the loudest figures, you know, podcasting YouTube, you know, your father, I think, was the former Grandfather. Grandfather was a former president of Brazil. And we had this conversation last time you were here, I think it was Rodrigo Constantine, if I'm not mistaken, right?

• 2:23Patrick Bet-David?

To my left, we have the third son of Jair Bolsonaro, Eduardo Bolsonaro, who became a congressman, maybe the most popular congressman in 2018, if I'm not mistaken, where you have a massive following, loyalty, people are curious to know what you're doing, but you're also involved in politics yourself as well with your father, which is very interesting to see that and great to have you on. Thank you. Then we have Nikolas Ferreira, which by the way, I'm trying to see if I can give a good example where in America it'll make sense to you. So 2022, he wins, getting the most votes, you guys call it MP, we call it congressman. I think it's like relatively close to it. Yeah, it is. Yeah. And this guy's got 18, 19 million followers.

• 3:06Patrick Bet-David?

I think you got 11 million on Insta, if I'm not mistaken. You got like 5 million on TikTok, you got millions of people following you. You're loud, you're confident, you're assertive and you're hated by a lot of people on the other side in Brazil. I think it's fair to say. And then Gustavo, who we have here, Gaet, is probably the guy that speaks the best English here. Just so you know, he runs a school in Brazil, I think he started in 2013, 2014. Exactly. And you're also very good at getting under people's skin, so it's great to have you on as well. It's a very interesting crowd we got here. Thank you.

• 3:38Patrick Bet-David?

So let me get right into it. My interest, this video podcast is going to be translated in the language as well, so everybody can watch this. It'll be all over the place, English as well as, you know, the native language that they speak in Brazil. I want to start off with this. Last time we were together, I am not heavily involved in the Brazilian politics, but I want to know why and what happened to this guy. If you can pull him up, Alexandre, you guys call him de Moraes, I think, right? Alexandre de Moraes. Right. Pull up his picture. So according to some of the due diligence that we're doing on our end, this guy was a lawyer. He went to a law school.

• 4:18Patrick Bet-David?

I think later on, he wrote a book on law for lawyers that most law schools in Brazil actually use. I think it may even be the most popular book written on laws there. And he did a lot of good work economically, if I'm not mistaken, he's a conservative. And Fordham, he claims back in the days economically was conservative. He was about backing up the cops to make sure the streets were clean and all the stuff that was going on where some issues that was happening with him. And then all of a sudden, something happens, okay, where you go through a certain phase with him, where he flips from being who he was. Operation Car Wash happens, millions of dollars, if not billions of dollars are stolen.

• 5:00Patrick Bet-David?

You know, Lula gets the house, the waterfront property, claims never got it. Another guy gave 2.1 billion dollars in bribes. I think it's one of the richest people in Brazil. You guys know the name, on who he is, what he did. But I want to know about him. How did he go from being a lawyer to getting into different political groups? To all of a sudden becoming the most feared and possibly some people even call him a dictator in Brazil. What happened with him?

• 5:28Speaker 05

I think Paulo Figueroa who lives here in US can answer better this question.

• 5:33Patrick Bet-David?

  It's hard.

• 5:35Speaker 05

I'm telling that because other way, we three here, we have to go back home. And I'm very serious about that. Depending what we are going to talk here, we can have huge problems over there. I'm going to remember when we were together in Brussels in the European Parliament, talking about the censorship in Brazil and all of that. When it came back, the federal police report, it was my name there. I'm not sure if yours, your names. But everybody here is under investigation. Just like Elon Musk. When Alexandre de Moraes, when he doesn't like someone, he opened an investigation against this person. So I think if Paulo could...

• 6:08Speaker 07

Yeah, for example, Patrick, one day after we spoke to Elon Musk on space, on X, the day after...

• 6:16Patrick Bet-David?

This is the Mario in the fall Twitter space.

• 6:18Speaker 07

  Yes, exactly.

• 6:19Patrick Bet-David?

  He does a phenomenal job.

• 6:20Speaker 07

Thank you, Mario. By the way, he's doing a lot for Brazil.

• 6:22Patrick Bet-David?

  Great job.

• 6:23Speaker 07

To give us, giving us voice. One day after, they opened an investigation against me because I called Lula a thief.

• 6:31Speaker 07

They, so that's what they do. Anything that you say that maybe is danger for them, they like open an investigation and they try to pressure you, you know?

• 6:41Patrick Bet-David?

Has Brazil always been that way?

• 6:44Speaker 07

  No.

• 6:44Patrick Bet-David?

Okay, so when did it flip? That's my interest.

• 6:47Speaker 07

That's what Paula is gonna answer.

• 6:48Patrick Bet-David?

  When did it flip?

• 6:49Speaker 08

Well, so he has a very interesting background. He was never a conservative, but Brazil had, Brazil didn't have conservatives for a long time. We had a left and center-left. So we had Workers' Party, which was socialist, very old-school socialist, and we had a center-left, it's more like European social democracy. And Brazil has been alternating between these two parties from, you can say, since my grandfather until his father, okay? And then his father changed everything. So his background is that he was Secretary of Security, right?

• 7:29Speaker 07

  Yeah.

• 7:29Speaker 08

Safety, public safety, in the state of São Paulo. And then he was, when Duma Husef was impeached, he was called to be the Minister of Justice of Duma Husef, Vice President, and then became President, a gentleman called Michel Temer. So that's, that's, he became, he was appointed by Michel Temer, which was a guy more from the center to be the Justice of the Supreme Court.

• 7:55Patrick Bet-David?

Rob, can you pull up Michel Temer, please? Keep going.

• 7:57Speaker 08

  Back then,

• 7:58Patrick Bet-David?

  Yep.

• 7:58Speaker 08

what's very interesting is that back then, the Workers' Party asked for him to be impeached. They tried any way they could to avoid him becoming a Supreme Court Justice. They, they, he really were really heavy against it. But things started changing in 2019. So in 2019, Jair Bolsonaro got elected in 2018. He took office in 2019. And at the same time, Operation Cowwash was starting to investigate corruption from the Supreme Court, involving some figures from the Supreme Court. That include another Justice called Gilmar Mendes and-

• 8:34Patrick Bet-David?

  No, no, it's M I C H E L, Michel Temer.

• 8:38Speaker 06

  Like Michael, Michael Temer.

• 8:39Patrick Bet-David?

  M I, M I C H E L E M E R.

• 8:42Speaker 08

  Yeah, that's him.

• 8:43Speaker 07

  Yeah, that's him.

• 8:44Speaker 08

Yeah, so he's, this guy is the vice president of Duma.

• 8:48Patrick Bet-David?

But he's center, he's in the center. So, so let's stay real quick there. So in 2019, does anybody in Brazil wake up worrying about Alexandre de de Moraes in 2019?

• 8:59Speaker 08

I would say most of us.

• 9:01Speaker 07

We didn't even know who who was in.

• 9:03Speaker 08

No, no, but we, I mean, we mostly supported him as a Supreme Court Justice because we didn't think of him as being a tyrant. We didn't know he was a psychopath.

• 9:12Speaker 07

  We didn't know about that.

• 9:13Speaker 08

Because that's the thing about psychopath.

• 9:15Speaker 07

There's a lot of videos, uh, him saying that PT made corruption, that the left made corruption in our country. So there's old videos from him.

• 9:26Patrick Bet-David?

That's what I'm saying. He used to be a conservative, at least he.

• 9:28Speaker 07

No, not conservative, but an opposition against the the the party.

• 9:33Speaker 06

There's something in Brazil, we like to say the theater of Caesars. For decades, we believed there was a right and a left. But the truth is, like Paulo said, they were both on the left, one more left than the other, with two parties, PT, Workers' Party, and PSTB, which is Socialist Democratic Party. And what they wanted to do is alternate between them for as long as forever. And this guy, Alexandre de Moraes, was part of one of the not-so-left party. He was a Frenchman, a frontman for this. But then, what happened was that a fluke happened. And because of internet, because people started saying their mind and debating on the internet, we were able to elect Bolsonaro.

• 10:16Speaker 06

Bolsonaro, in the House of Congress, he was what we called the baixo claro, the lower-ranked congressman.

• 10:23Speaker 08

  As a later guy.

• 10:24Speaker 06

But because of the internet, propagated his words and he spoke exactly what was in our minds, what was, you know, stuffed in our minds. And then people started following him and everywhere he went, he went to an airport and then thousands of people showed up just to carry him on his show, on our shoulders. And and the system started getting worried about that. Well, wait, wait a second. Who is this guy? Who is this outsider that wants to come in? We already have the the the next president. And Alexandre de Moraes was part of the next president's group. But then the fluke happened, we elected Bolsonaro, very similar to Donald Trump here.

• 10:59Speaker 05

  Yep.

• 10:59Speaker 08

  But with less money.

• 11:01Speaker 06

But Bolsonaro has absolutely zero money, actually. It was just...

• 11:04Speaker 05

Usually I say in a very conservative accounts that my father did not spend even one million dollars during his campaign in 2018. And I'm very conservative. I could say, I don't know, half of that. So, but, and it was a phenomenon.

• 11:15Patrick Bet-David?

So, let me ask you, has your father ever met him before? Like before becoming president, yes?

• 11:21Speaker 05

  I don't think so.

• 11:22Patrick Bet-David?

  Before becoming president?

• 11:23Speaker 05

  No, no, no.

• 11:24Patrick Bet-David?

  Okay.

• 11:25Speaker 08

Because no one thought he would win, Bolsonaro. I mean, the establishment didn't think he was gonna... You heard this before.

• 11:31Speaker 06

It was less possible than the lane.

• 11:32Speaker 08

About it. Oh, my God, Bolsonaro, like Bolsonaro is gonna be the president. You heard this before.

• 11:37Speaker 06

  It was a joke.

• 11:37Speaker 08

  Exactly like, like...

• 11:39Patrick Bet-David?

The difference is that when a lot of people say like Trump, the difference is Trump's been famous

• 11:45Speaker 06

  Yeah.

• 11:45Patrick Bet-David?

For a long time, money TV. Was your father famous in Brazil?

• 11:49Speaker 06

  No, no.

• 11:50Speaker 08

Well, he was famous for being on TV shows.

• 11:53Speaker 05

Yes, because the rise of my father, it was in the exact moment that the strategy of the left wings was doing a encourage the politically correct policies. So, my father was accused of being racist, racist, racist, homophobic, and all of that.

• 12:10Patrick Bet-David?

  Pre-running?

• 12:11Speaker 05

Pre-running, pre-running. And then my father, he wasn't given that much attention for that. And started to keep talking his thought, his thinking, what he was thinking. And he started to go all around the country because he said, if Dilma Rousseff, who is not smart, and I'll be very polite here, if he got re-elected, if she did get re-elected as president of Brazil, why not me? So, he started to go all around the country, doing some radio shows and TV shows.

• 12:41Patrick Bet-David?

When is this? Eighteen or seventeen?

• 12:43Speaker 05

  This was...

• 12:43Speaker 06

  Sixteen, seventeen.

• 12:46Patrick Bet-David?

So, he started talking about his policies that he thinks there's a problem in Brazil in 2016?

• 12:51Speaker 05

  Yes.

• 12:52Patrick Bet-David?

  In TV popular shows.

• 12:54Speaker 08

  Yes.

• 12:54Patrick Bet-David?

Including like, shows that were not about politics.

• 12:58Speaker 08

One thing is important, but a lot of these shows invited him to mock him.

• 13:03Patrick Bet-David?

  To mock him.

• 13:03Speaker 08

Yes, to mock him, to make fun of him. But the viewer, but that's the disconnection there is between the legacy media and the people, the population, because when we watched him and we saw his words, that's exactly what we think.

• 13:14Speaker 05

Beautiful people was making fun, and then he was talking with the mass of the people.

• 13:19Speaker 07

And there's a nice point on it, because the internet made his voice heard, you know?

• 13:24Speaker 08

  Yeah.

• 13:25Speaker 07

So 2016, people started to go on Facebook, on Instagram, and then people could hear him. Because all we had were the traditional medias in Brazil that never put him as a good person.

• 13:39Patrick Bet-David?

Okay, so at that time, he's going, he's behind the scenes, no one is even looking, right? He's nothing at the time, 16, 17, 18. You know him, you're saying you know him, but he's not front-facing, he's behind closed doors. Okay, no threat, no signs of that one time he stole this, that one time he did this, there's nothing yet.

• 13:57Speaker 08

  No corrupt.

• 13:58Patrick Bet-David?

Okay, so what happens 2020 with him? Now Bolsonaro is the president, now he's there, he wins 2019 till 2022, what's happening to him now behind closed doors?

• 14:08Speaker 08

So in 2019, when Bolsonaro got elected, at the same time, Carwash was starting to investigate Supreme Court charges. So in...

• 14:15Patrick Bet-David?

Lula hasn't gone to jail yet, or he did?

• 14:18Speaker 08

  He wasn't, he was...

• 14:19Patrick Bet-David?

  520 days in jail.

• 14:20Speaker 08

  Yeah.

• 14:20Patrick Bet-David?

Supposed to do 10 years, 12 years?

• 14:22Speaker 08

  Yeah.

• 14:22Patrick Bet-David?

  He did 520.

• 14:23Speaker 08

Yes, but Carwash started to investigate the judiciary at that time. And then, the judiciary made something very interesting.

• 14:31Patrick Bet-David?

Rob, pull up Operation Carwash, keep going, please.

• 14:33Speaker 08

They made a very, very interesting thing. They decided, well, there's a provision in the Supreme Court bylaws, internal bylaws, saying that if a crime occurs within the premises of the court, we can open an investigations ourselves. It's like, it's a court opening investigation. So the US Supreme Court has the same...

• 14:52Patrick Bet-David?

  Structure.

• 14:53Speaker 08

Yes. So they can open an investigation, that was thought to investigate like internal crimes, someone stole something in court. In the US, for example, they opened this to investigate who leaked the Roe v. Wade overturn, okay? But in Brazil, they said, well, if people are saying stuff against us on the internet, well, the internet's kind of everywhere, so it's within the premises of the court. So we're gonna open an investigation about people trying to slander the Supreme Court.

• 15:21Speaker 08

So, and then they started censoring articles, including an article from a magazine that pointed out that one of the Supreme Court justices was involved in corruption with one big construction company in Brazil, and they censored that. And that was the beginning of what they called the fake news probe. That's the same probe that was opened in 2019. That's the birth of it. And it's still open now. That's the, we're all being investigated by it.

• 15:49Speaker 06

  For years.

• 15:50Speaker 08

For years. Elon Musk is being investigated by this probe. Michael, he is. Michael Schellenberger is being investigated, investigated there. Everyone. So it's, and they issued measures against, they've sent people to prison, but it's only a probe. It's not a case yet. They, no one has been charged for five years.

• 16:10Speaker 06

But they have had their houses raided, passports confiscated.

• 16:15Speaker 08

It's interesting to point out that at, on the same time, and that's interesting for US viewers.

• 16:19Patrick Bet-David?

That's what you're telling me. Elon Musk will be investigated over fake news and obstruction in Brazil after a Supreme Court order. What's the date on this, Rob?

• 16:25Speaker 08

This is probably a month ago. Yeah, two weeks ago.

• 16:27Patrick Bet-David?

Okay. So you're saying this, April, okay, this is a month ago. Okay. While you're saying this, this Alexandre, he's still, is he the puppet master behind closed doors or not yet?

• 16:40Speaker 08

Well, he, he's, he became the most powerful man in, in Brazil by far. Because this is, is, it's, it's an interesting investigation. And what's interesting for US viewers as well is that at the same time, the United States, mostly the left and the deep state were discussing, well, how do we deal with the internet problem that Nicholas was talking about? Well, the, Trump got elected through the internet, and Bolsonaro got elected through the internet, and then you had the Brexit. We also. Them, several congressmen, the Republican Party changed dramatically because of the internet. You had Brexit, and you had Hungary, and you have all the changes, all these changes around the world. So it was like the establishment started to see what could they do to change

• 17:22Speaker 08

it. So that's when you see right now, if you, if you read the industrial, censorship industrial complex, uh, report from the House Judiciary Committee. You see that the Biden administration was discussing with the with the social media companies, how to censor and moderate some type of opinions.

• 17:44Speaker 07

  Extremists.

• 17:44Speaker 08

And and they send, this is public records, it's not a conspiracy theory, is I'm not, I'm not one of these guys. But they sent FBI officials and Department of Justice officials to have meetings in Brazil with the T S C, trying to explain to them how to put on quote combat this information. That was kind of, that was the same.

• 18:03Patrick Bet-David?

  When was this?

• 18:04Speaker 08

Twenty nineteen. And this is public records.

• 18:07Patrick Bet-David?

This is in twenty nineteen, pre Biden becoming president?

• 18:10Speaker 08

  Yes.

• 18:10Speaker 07

  Yep. The establishment fighting back.

• 18:12Speaker 08

The deep state, the deep state, they, well, we all know how much Trump suffered from the FBI while he was president. So the deep state, it's, it's, it's why they're there, right? Doesn't matter who wins, they're there anyways.

• 18:27Patrick Bet-David?

Is he now the most powerful man in Brazil?

• 18:30Speaker 08

  Oh, by far.

• 18:30Speaker 07

  By far.

• 18:32Patrick Bet-David?

  Feared?

• 18:33Speaker 05

Because he can do whatever he wants. And I'll ask you, you're going to appeal for who? There is no one higher than the Supreme Court. If they decided something, everybody's looking, okay, this is not in favor of the Constitution, he is like not caring. It doesn't matter what the law is saying, he does whatever he wants. But, okay, this is illegal. What can you do? This is the problem. That's why we are here. I'm not happy here debating about internal issues of Brazil. But at least we are alerting our friends here in the West and preventing them to do not let this virus, this Brazilian virus come to here. But this is the hard question. How can we fight back against someone that is doing that in the Supreme Court?

• 19:18Speaker 07

Yeah. For example, in the election, in the presidential elections, he's there, Bolsonaro, couldn't do lives on his own home government.

• 19:27Speaker 05

  Government. Official residence.

• 19:29Speaker 07

  Yeah, official residence.

• 19:30Patrick Bet-David?

That happened to Trump as well.

• 19:31Speaker 07

Yeah, they did this to Trump. For example, in the election, I made a video saying that Lula, for example, he would legalize.

• 19:41Speaker 07

abortion, he would legalize the drugs and I got a fine like about ten thousand dollars because I did that. And now we have two women ministers, uh, Lula put in the charge and they support abortion. The Supreme Court started to vote abortion and also drugs. So I was right and I got fined for that. So who I'm, yeah, who I'm gonna appeal for that.

• 20:07Speaker 08

So, but okay, so let's stay on Alexandre de Moraes and I know you guys don't wanna stay on it because you're trying to go back to Brazil and he's not trying to go back to Brazil, but here's the point.

• 20:15Patrick Bet-David?

  I wanted to.

• 20:16Speaker 07

  Yeah, he wants to.

• 20:17Speaker 06

I think I understand what you're trying to get. How did Alexandre de Moraes get all this power? Who gave it? Who gave that power to him, right?

• 20:23Speaker 08

Right. So one is who gave it to him? Two, what happened behind closed doors? Is there some, because sometimes we see somebody and then you're like, oh, that's the most powerful man in Brazil. And it's really these other two people nobody knows about and they're behind closed doors. Is he the puppet master or is there another puppet master behind Alexandre de Moraes?

• 20:45Speaker 07

He is the goon chosen to be the front man to all the absurdities and the injustice that's happening in Brazil.

• 20:51Speaker 08

  So by who?

• 20:52Speaker 07

Well, let's get there. Paul can talk about it, but I'm.

• 20:55Speaker 06

  Backed by other.

• 20:56Speaker 08

  Including the Biden administration. So.

• 20:59Speaker 07

Even there, there are international forces that are influencing what's happening in Brazil.

• 21:03Speaker 08

  Such as what, what countries?

• 21:05Speaker 07

  Now, we have Soros.

• 21:07Speaker 08

  Well, mainly, mainly the US.

• 21:08Speaker 07

  In the US.

• 21:09Speaker 08

International community, all the people that go to Davos and, and the World Economic Forum, these are. So for example, the, the Supreme Court was president, our Supreme Court Justice is not, not, not Moraes, but the president of the court, the, the chief justice, uh, which Bahozzo, he was in Davos this year. Uh, and, and look, it's definitely a global community of, of a global elite that supports him. But the most support comes from the United States. Let me give you a concrete example. Uh, pull up a Financial Times article from two thousand twenty-three. It's called the discreet campaign, the US discreet campaign to defend Brazilian elections, if I'm not mistaken.

• 21:49Speaker 06

  Democracy.

• 21:50Speaker 08

Democracy or. Something like that. Okay, it's a Financial Times article, so not a conspiracy theory. What they say in this article is that US top officials, US top officials, I'm talking about the CIA Director, the Secretary of Defense, the Chief Commander of the Southern Command, the Chief General, was a lady, I believe, Jake Sullivan, National Security Advisor, all of them went to Brazil to threaten public officials, military leaders, and politicians to not challenge Moraes, because we were discussing election integrity back then. And every single one of them said, "Look, if you challenge Moraes," who was the President

• 22:34Speaker 08

of the Superior Electoral Court in Brazil, "if you challenge him, you will face the mighty power of the United States foreign policy. Well, the army, the military will stop cooperation with the Brazilian military, you guys are gonna suffer with embargoes and all sorts of sanctions. You will be left out of the international community. We'll do with you what we did to Russia." And that was one of the reasons why the institutions in Brazil didn't work.

• 23:02Patrick Bet-David?

Okay, so here's an article, FBI, Soros, and secret police invest censorship conspiracy in Brazil.

• 23:07Speaker 08

That was, that's by David Agapi, a very good investigative journalist. He works with Michael Schellenberger, he's like his partner in Brazil.

• 23:14Patrick Bet-David?

Can I read this? He was just put in investigation to do. He was? Let me read this. Go a little lower up so I can read the form right there, the first two paragraphs. "The US government's Federal Bureau of Investigation, Soros, and the Supreme Court of Brazil claim to be defenders of free speech and democracy. The mission of the FBI is to uphold the US Constitution, whose First Amendment prohibits government limits on freedom of speech. Soros and his son Alex, who runs this philanthropic foundation, claims to want open societies where people are free to express their views. And the Supreme Court of Brazil claims to uphold the Brazilian Constitution commitment to freedom of expression, but now a months-long investigation reveals that the FBI has helped Brazil censor its citizens. The Soros Open Society Foundation is spending heavily to promote censorship

• 23:57Patrick Bet-David?

in Brazil, and Brazil has a secret judicial police force that exists specifically to spy upon and censor people deemed to be spreading false information. Together, the FBI, Soros, and the Supreme Court of Brazil are engaged in a direct result of free speech protection of both the Brazilian and US Constitution."

• 24:17Speaker 08

  There's your answer.

• 24:19Patrick Bet-David?

So, so they're getting a, but let me ask another question. You know, sometimes when somebody flips and you look at this person like this guy's reasonable. He's good. We don't see him like a weird guy and all of a sudden boom. And you realize somebody had something on him behind closed doors. The story about the fact that he was linked to the plane crash with the Supreme Court. You know, the old justice theory and I'm like, yeah, I don't know if their story. Was there anything that happened or was it behind it? Maybe, maybe not. Some people say 80% bogus. There's no way there's credibility behind it. And then you hear about the stories with him being linked to the, what do you call it? The primeiro comando de capital, gang headquarters in São Paulo started falsely online when he was city secretary of public security. Was he linked to the gang?

• 25:02Patrick Bet-David?

Was there people that he was supporting? Was there some of that going on with Alexandre?

• 25:06Speaker 08

If they say anything about it, they will immediately go to prison when they arrive in Brazil.

• 25:10Speaker 06

  I'll be muted here.

• 25:11Speaker 08

I'll be bold enough to do it.

• 25:12Speaker 06

  I'm gonna be in silence.

• 25:14Speaker 08

So he worked, so here's the piece.

• 25:17Patrick Bet-David?

  So there's some credibility here.

• 25:18Speaker 08

Well, I'll tell you exactly the facts. I'll just lay down the facts and you make your own conclusion. So the PCC is the largest drug cartel in Brazil. Well, some can argue that's one of the largest drug cartels in Brazil.

• 25:30Speaker 06

  No, it's the number one.

• 25:30Speaker 08

  Yes, definitely the number one.

• 25:33Speaker 06

The delivery system for all the drugs that are produced in Latin America goes through PCC. All the cocaine that comes to the United States goes through PCC.

• 25:40Speaker 08

  Yes, yes, absolutely.

• 25:43Patrick Bet-David?

So if it's coming from Colombia, goes to PCC in Brazil first, then it comes up here?

• 25:47Speaker 06

Yes, ships all over the world.

• 25:48Speaker 08

They're the distributors, okay? So PCC was being investigated in Brazil and they found connections between them and the Workers' Party. I'm not gonna get into that because that's not necessarily important for this discussion. But PCC was laundering money, possibly, but one, one way of that they thought they were laundering money was through a, like a, like a union of.

• 26:16Speaker 06

  Public transportation.

• 26:17Speaker 08

Yeah, like drivers from, from vans. In Brazil, it was very popular that people used to use vans for public transportation. Okay, and there was a, a union of these vans, van drivers. It was called Transcop. And he was the attorney, the defense attorney for one of these unions. And that's, that's the only connection that we actually have. So I don't, usually if you work for an institution that's related to the drug cartels, that's not a good sign, but that's not definitive to say he's linked to these things.

• 26:55Patrick Bet-David?

Was he a lawyer that maybe represented some former criminals before? Because sometimes lawyers, I know lawyers that I've talked to represented Weinstein. We had a lawyer the other day on the podcast, it was Diddy's lawyer before Rob. Who else's lawyer he was, if you remember?

• 27:09Speaker 09

Harvey Weinstein's attorney as well at one point, several high-profile clients.

• 27:14Patrick Bet-David?

Right, so, so, so he was a lawyer like that. And by the way, is there any connection with him and Marco Camacho? Is there any relationship between the two? With him Playboy Russo, is there anything there?

• 27:28Speaker 08

  We don't know.

• 27:29Patrick Bet-David?

So he's saying he's facing 232 years in jail. Okay, Marco Camacho, is he in jail right now? Yeah. He is. And is he the Pablo Escobar of the PCC? A lot of people say that, yes. He is.

• 27:44Speaker 08

  It's a fair, it's a fair assessment.

• 27:46Patrick Bet-David?

And, and there's no link between the two relationships at all?

• 27:51Speaker 08

We can't, we can't say there is.

• 27:52Speaker 05

But I can add something. During my father's administration, Marco was transferred to other jail in the middle of the jungle, let me say that. I think he went to Porto Velho, in Rondonia. And when Lula got back again, so now we have Lula as president, I don't know how, I don't know what terms, but this guy came back again to Brasilia.

• 28:11Speaker 08

  To the capital.

• 28:12Speaker 05

Yes, I'm talking about the fact. I'm talking about the fact. I don't have anything that I can say, oh, this guy, he made kind of agreement with the new president. I cannot say that, but it's very strange why they should go back again with one of the head of the number one criminal organization back to Brasilia.

• 28:31Speaker 08

But there are definitely connections between the left and the drug cartels. I mean, for example, Lula is part of an organization called the Fórum de São Paulo, okay? This is the, basically an union from all the left parties in Latin America. One of the founding members of the Fórum de São Paulo is the FARC, the Revolutionary Armed Forces of Colombia, who control all the drugs in Colombia until they became a leftist party. But they're founding members. The connections between the left and drug cartels in Brazil are absolutely insane. And here's the thing, in 2022, we could not report that. We used to get court orders from Moraes. I was on TV, on primetime TV, cable news TV.

• 29:16Speaker 08

I wanted to report the connections that Lula had with the drug cartels, and I couldn't buy court orders off Moraes. And all of them turned out to be accurate.

• 29:26Speaker 06

There was actually an interception of a phone call between this guy, Marcoala, and some other leader of PCC, in which he clearly states that he supports and he endorses Lula, and he would like Lula to win. Another leader of PCC, this guy.

• 29:42Speaker 08

  What year?

• 29:43Speaker 06

  2022. This was now, 2022.

• 29:46Speaker 08

  While he's in jail?

• 29:47Speaker 06

  While he's in jail.

• 29:48Speaker 08

Who intercepted it? Who intercepted the call?

• 29:50Speaker 06

  The federal police.

• 29:51Speaker 08

So, why, 2022, who's president? Bolsonaro or?

• 29:55Speaker 06

  Bolsonaro.

• 29:56Speaker 08

  Got it.

• 29:56Speaker 07

They had like dialogues. The audio says that they had dialogues.

• 30:01Speaker 08

They could have a... They could debate with them. They could negotiate with them.

• 30:07Speaker 07

  Not with Bolsonaro.

• 30:08Speaker 08

  And Bolsonaro, they couldn't negotiate.

• 30:09Speaker 06

He said, because with Lula, our lives will be much easier. Everything will be much better for us.

• 30:14Speaker 08

  Yes.

• 30:15Speaker 06

And ever since Lula got back.

• 30:17Speaker 08

  And everybody's heard that.

• 30:18Speaker 06

No, that's the thing. It's an investigation from the police that went public. I posted it on my social media. Moraes took it down.

• 30:26Speaker 08

  Yep. Moraes took it down?

• 30:27Speaker 06

  Took it down.

• 30:28Speaker 08

  On which platform?

• 30:29Speaker 06

  I think it was Instagram.

• 30:30Speaker 08

So, let me ask you, okay. So...

• 30:33Speaker 06

I cannot put an audio that's public recorded from the police, because it was fake news.

• 30:39Speaker 08

What percentage of Brazil will have access to this interview right now on YouTube in Brazil? What percentage?

• 30:44Speaker 06

  I don't know, maybe 10, 15%.

• 30:45Speaker 08

  10, 15%.

• 30:47Speaker 06

Well, all of them will have access. We will, of course, we will post on our social media, and that will get much bigger now. Nicholas Poyton's social media. But that's the thing, I'm afraid to get these parts that I'm saying to you right now. If I post on my social media, then I can have my house raided by federal police.

• 31:02Patrick Bet-David?

I totally get it. So far, but where I'm going with this is what percentage of, like today, I posted a tweet and the question I put on there was, what do you think about Alexandre from Brazil? Is he the most powerful man in Brazil? And it is the least liked, commented post I've had in a year, okay, that I posted with this. I don't know whether it's because my audience could care less about Brazil, or maybe it's because the audience is sitting there and certain people who are interested in this don't see it, right? Then I went on your platform and I noticed, no, when you guys tweet, you guys get a lot of traffic. You got a lot of traffic, so it means people from Brazil are seeing your stuff. Maybe my audience is not interested right now in what's going on with Brazil,

• 31:47Patrick Bet-David?

because I'm not Brazilian, I'm not talking about it.

• 31:50Speaker 06

  I retweeted it.

• 31:50Speaker 08

  Yeah.

• 31:53Speaker 06

  I'm gonna do this.

• 31:54Speaker 08

  Please, guys, repost it.

• 31:55Speaker 06

I'm gonna retweet it right now.

• 31:57Patrick Bet-David?

So what I wanna know is, what I wanna know is, I wanna know if, if he is who he is, then you're telling the story of whatever Camacho, whatever his, for Marcolo, I think, right? Marcolo Camacho, Mixteco, Marcola Camacho, okay. And then, did Marcola Camacho, who's in jail at the time, is Lula also in jail at the time in 2022? Is Lula in jail in 2022?

• 32:24Speaker 06

  No, no, no.

• 32:25Speaker 08

No, he was running for president.

• 32:26Patrick Bet-David?

Was, was he and Lula ever in jail together? Were they ever at the same jail?

• 32:30Speaker 06

  No.

• 32:31Patrick Bet-David?

No, not at the same jail. They've never been at the same, and that's proven, people know that. It's two separate jails.

• 32:36Speaker 06

  Lula was in Curitiba.

• 32:36Patrick Bet-David?

  Lula was in Curitiba, yeah.

• 32:38Speaker 08

And Lula was not in actual prison, he was like in a federal police.

• 32:42Patrick Bet-David?

Has, has Lula or Marcola in the past ever had a relationship together?

• 32:47Speaker 06

They are too smart to do that. Everything happens behind closed doors.

• 32:52Patrick Bet-David?

But you gotta realize, Lula's been a great community organizer, speaker, rallying. He going up, he's a great speaker, energized. He knows how to get people to say it's not fair, what they're doing to you. He's like a AOC, right?

• 33:02Speaker 06

He used to be. Nowadays, he has no more audience. That what's something, another weird thing that's happening.

• 33:07Patrick Bet-David?

But now he's giving money to them, socialism. So now he's getting people to be like, hey, this guy's a nice guy. He's giving us money. If you can pull up the statista number on the kind of money being spent by the government, look at the rise here. Zoom in a little bit. This is from 2007 to 2029. Look at the number there on the bottom. So it's gradually climbing, nothing insane. 2021, 2022, Lula goes in, look at the spending the next year. Boom, boom, skyrocketing. They go up from $700 billion. They go up $160 billion in spending the next year, 120. Within two years, he goes from 730 billion budget to billion dollars. You're talking about an increase of 300 and, uh, whatever, $260 billion that they increased. What do you do with that?

• 33:51Patrick Bet-David?

I'll give you this, I'll give you that, more entitlement programs. So you win the votes. This is kind of like Biden right now is trying to give money to all these college and forgiving. It's a, it's an, it's an effective strategy. But then lead me to this one. Can you pull up the one when the inauguration of Lula, right? He's winning. And this, this man here walks by, you guys obviously know who he is. I had to look up to see who he is.

• 34:17Speaker 05

  I know.

• 34:17Patrick Bet-David?

Yeah, if you don't want to say the name, I can say the name. Benedito Goncalves, right? Now, at the time, who is Benedito? Is he a powerful man?

• 34:25Speaker 07

He was a judge from electoral court.

• 34:28Speaker 08

He was the, he was one of the most important, because Brazil has a very weird structure. All election, elections in Brazil were electronic, fully electronic. We talked about this and centralized by one court, which is the Superior Electoral Court.

• 34:42Patrick Bet-David?

  He runs it.

• 34:43Speaker 08

He's at the same time a justice of the Supreme Court and until next month, he's also, and has been for the past two years, the president, which is like chief justice of the Superior Electoral Court.

• 34:54Speaker 07

  At the same time.

• 34:55Speaker 08

  This guy.

• 34:55Speaker 06

This is not the goal, not the.

• 34:57Speaker 08

Morais, that's Morais. Benedetto is like his right hand, the second most important guy. He's the corrigedor on the Superior Electoral Court.

• 35:05Patrick Bet-David?

Okay, play this clip. So this is inauguration. It's announced, Lula is winning. The man right in the middle, sitting, that's sitting right above the emblem. You see a bald man right there? That's Morais, right?

• 35:16Speaker 08

  In the middle.

• 35:16Patrick Bet-David?

Watch the man Benedetto is gonna walk from the left. He's coming to the right. Play this clip, Rob. The black fat one. He taps the shoulder, whispers something in the ear.

• 35:29Patrick Bet-David?

Can you play it one more time? Listen closely.

• 36:23Patrick Bet-David?

I asked some of the friends here that are, speak the language. He says, "Mission accomplished." Mission given, mission accomplished. Mission given, mission accomplished. Yes. And he's saying it to Morais. Yes. "Let me ask you." Is he telling Moraes that "You gave me the mission. I helped you accomplish the mission," or is it the other way around? That Benedetto said, "We gave the mission. We accomplished it together." What he's saying is, "You gave me a mission and I did it." "I delivered for you." Yes. So his loyalty is to Moraes.

• 36:56Speaker 08

  We don't know, we don't.

• 36:58Patrick Bet-David?

You understand the question I'm asking?

• 36:59Speaker 08

We can't say. We can't say.

• 37:01Speaker 07

  We can't say but that.

• 37:02Speaker 08

Mission given, mission accomplished. Who gave the mission? It looks like he's talking to Moraes and Moraes gave the mission. But maybe they're celebrating together that they accomplished the mission they received.

• 37:12Speaker 07

Patrick, one thing is, they never, they never came out to explain this phrase. This is the thing, they never came, oh, we were saying that, we were saying that. We are clarifying for everyone. They never said that, so.

• 37:26Speaker 08

  We don't know.

• 37:26Speaker 06

There's another justice from the Supreme Court that once said, and it was caught on camera, saying, "Elections are not won, the elections are taken." And it's recorded, but if I.

• 37:36Speaker 08

  That was Bahos, right?

• 37:37Speaker 06

  Yeah, Bahos.

• 37:38Speaker 08

That's the current Chief Justice of Brazilian Supreme Court. The same guy that said, "We," he went to a student union meeting.

• 37:46Patrick Bet-David?

You really want to go to Brazil, it's obvious, go ahead.

• 37:48Speaker 08

Yes. He went to, he went to a, a, a union, a student union meeting, a political meeting, like rally, and he said, "We defeated Bolsonaro's resume." "We," like, who's "we"? You're a Supreme Court Justice, you defeated Bolsonaro? How, how, how can you say that and nothing happens to you?

• 38:13Patrick Bet-David?

Who could, pull up the Chief of Staff guy you're talking about?

• 38:16Speaker 08

The Chief Justice, Chief Justice, Luis Barroso. B-A-R-R-O-S-O.

• 38:25Speaker 06

You see Patrick, what happens is that the, the establishment lost the control of the opinion from the population. And now they are using their, it's last resource, which is the Supreme Court. So now they are using, they are running our country under a Supreme Court. There's majority, the majority of the justices were chosen by the left, by Workers' Party, by Lula. And now they gave Moraes all this power for him to be the front man and take Bolsonaro down and take the right wing and conservatives down from the, from politics. The problem is, and this is what I think everyone is realizing now. Moraes got so much power, now he's drunk by it. And they are, I realize they created this monster that they. can't control anymore.

• 39:07Speaker 06

It's the, the, he has broken the leash and now is deciding to do whatever he wants. And since that, that started happening, even the legacy media that supported his actions are now uh going back and say, wait, wait, wait. Now, is this, I think we're having a Frankenstein event here. We created a monster. Now we can't control him. Now he's going after us. He's going after everyone. That's what happens when you give too much power to someone. And now we are in the situation that Moraes is seen not only in Brazil, but outside Brazil as a dictatorship. And I, I, I believe strongly that Brazil is no longer a democracy. We are living under dictatorship.

• 39:42Speaker 07

And that's why now Lula, he put like two friends in the Supreme Court. One is a friend of him for like, I don't know, 20, 30 years long. Uh, it's called Flavio Gino. He's a friend of Lula.

• 39:57Speaker 06

  Communist?

• 39:57Speaker 07

Yes, a communist. And the other one uh is Zani, who was his personal lawyer. So, Lula, he in dictated the

• 40:07Speaker 06

  Appointed.

• 40:08Speaker 07

Appointed the, his personal lawyer to the Supreme Court. And his best friend to the Supreme Court as well. So we see this as a balance for the power of Alexander Hasna.

• 40:20Speaker 06

And all the drug dealers and cartel leaders and criminals are being freed. We are, we're seeing, not only for the returning everything they seized, helicopters, money.

• 40:30Patrick Bet-David?

  His former lawyer

• 40:32Speaker 06

  Yes.

• 40:32Patrick Bet-David?

  See that Supreme Court justice?

• 40:34Speaker 06

  Yes.

• 40:34Speaker 07

  Yes.

• 40:34Speaker 06

  Yes.

• 40:35Speaker 07

He like, he, he went to

• 40:36Speaker 06

That's the guy who censored us. Because of this guy, who, he was his lawyer during the campaign.

• 40:41Speaker 08

Yes, he was the one asking Moraes to censor.

• 40:44Speaker 06

And Moraes accepted censoring us because of his uh demands.

• 40:48Patrick Bet-David?

So can you go back to that other guy? Can you go back to Luis Roberto Barroso? Okay, so, so, so Barroso, right, there's a lot of, so if you look at their, right, their school he went to. Barroso graduating in law, uh law from University de Janeiro, a master's degree from Yale University, PhD. Postdoctoral Harvard Law School. And so I am so curious who he went to school with in the States and America. He's considered a liberal and progressive justice, providing landmark votes on the legalization of abortion and pregnancies originating from rape.

• 41:18Speaker 08

He's the most ideological justice of the court.

• 41:21Patrick Bet-David?

And criminalization of homophobia and transphobia in Brazil?

• 41:24Speaker 08

  Yes.

• 41:24Speaker 05

Yes. He says that if the Congress do not approve a bill talking about that, so thrown out one, everything that we consider, for example homophobic, it will receive the same punishment for racism. So he say we have a lack here in the law and the Congress is not working, he says. But I say that the Congress do not want to approve that because no one is going to vote for abortion and they know that they do not have the majority inside of the Congress. So that's why they are doing that through the Supreme Court, just like what happened in Colombia. In Colombia now, you have legal abortion that came through the hands of the Justice of the Supreme Court. But if I can add something very important about Luiz Roberto Barroso.

• 42:05Speaker 05

Before Alexandre de Moraes, this was the president of the Superior Electoral Court. And when we were inside of the Congress trying to approve what we call the printed vote bill, which would bring more, the possibility to recount the votes, more transparency in our electoral process. He went to the Congress and talked with 11 presidents of political parties and changed their minds, so we...

• 42:31Speaker 08

You're being nice. According to a few members of Congress that I talked to, and I can say that, they say they were threatened by him.

• 42:39Speaker 05

  They judge...

• 42:40Speaker 08

  The Supreme Court just...

• 42:41Speaker 05

  They judge...

• 42:42Speaker 08

Yeah, they're under the Supreme Court. So if they commit a crime, they're going to be tried in the Supreme Court, by the Supreme Court, okay? So what, and several members of the Brazilian Congress have been charged for corruption. They have case spending on the Supreme Court. According to several reports that I received, incredible reports, he threatened congressmen and leaders of political parties saying, "If you approve this bill that will create a print receipt for our electoral machines, you will suffer the consequences in the court."

• 43:16Speaker 05

And that happened many times with many other bills.

• 43:18Speaker 08

  Yes.

• 43:19Speaker 05

  This year that happened again.

• 43:20Speaker 08

And he openly lobbied, that's a fact. But I have credible reports that he threatened members of Congress. So I don't have anything to back that, but I have the sources.

• 43:30Patrick Bet-David?

Okay, so voting. Let's go back to what you said. What is, what do they define as racism in Brazil?

• 43:39Speaker 05

  Anything they don't like.

• 43:41Patrick Bet-David?

Give me an example of somebody getting arrested for racism. Like somebody who got arrested for racism, what do they do?

• 43:47Speaker 08

I don't recall any case, but it's the same as the US left. For example, I was testifying in Congress yesterday or the day before. And I mentioned that George Soros was behind, as we saw, what was happening in Brazil in a certain way. And then the ranking member of the committee, a Democrat, she said, "Well, that's anti-Semitic of you." I was like, "What?"

• 44:08Patrick Bet-David?

  That's what?

• 44:09Speaker 08

  Anti-Semitic.

• 44:11Patrick Bet-David?

That's anti-Semitic of you to go up against Soros?

• 44:14Speaker 08

Yes, because it's just a joke.

• 44:16Speaker 07

  Yes, he actually said it.

• 44:17Speaker 08

She said that, it's on the recording.

• 44:18Patrick Bet-David?

A fourteen-year-old man helped a Nazi kill Jews. And later on was asked about it in an interview on Sixty Minutes, I believe. And he's like, "Yeah, it didn't do anything to me emotionally. I'm okay. Didn't bother me. Didn't hurt me."

• 44:31Speaker 08

No, I've never been called anti-Semitic. I meant actually more Zionist.

• 44:36Speaker 06

I have a case that I just remembered of racism. I can be arrested for racism because during a podcast, we were talking about dictatorship. And I study a lot about education. And I was saying that every time a country goes under a dictatorship, usually the IQ goes down after some generations because there's a collapse in education and you do not let access to information. So every dictatorship is associated somehow, ninety-nine percent-

• 45:01Patrick Bet-David?

  That's a very good point.

• 45:02Speaker 06

Going down with the IQ after some generations. And as I was talking with the guy, the host in the podcast, we were talking about countries that are dictatorships and had their IQ going down. I talked about Cuba, Venezuela, North Korea. And then he talked, and then he said, well, or I said actually, sixty or fifty, fifty-six percent of all dictatorships in the world are in Africa.

• 45:25Speaker 06

So we were talking about dictatorships and how it destroys the IQ of that population after some period of time are in Africa. Because I've said that, because I've said that in Africa, and when with less IQ, people are more, are less able to run a democracy, I am charged by the Supreme Court now for racism. I can lose my office, my-

• 45:48Patrick Bet-David?

  Your seat.

• 45:48Speaker 06

My seat, my seat, and I can go to prison.

• 45:52Speaker 05

There was no mention about any race whatsoever during the conversation, but because I gave a statistic information, I can go to prison. Yeah, your dad. Pretas you, the case of Pretas you. My father was also accused of that. Of racism.

• 46:07Patrick Bet-David?

So your dad now is in Brazil?

• 46:09Speaker 05

  Yes.

• 46:09Patrick Bet-David?

  Can he leave?

• 46:10Speaker 05

  No.

• 46:11Patrick Bet-David?

  Why can't he leave?

• 46:12Speaker 05

Because Alexandre Moraes took his passport.

• 46:15Patrick Bet-David?

And he took his, is this because of the jet ski situation? Or is this because of the...

• 46:19Speaker 05

It could be. It's so crazy. When I hear someone say about this investigation for your audience.

• 46:23Patrick Bet-David?

  Go for it, please.

• 46:25Speaker 05

First I ask, imagine what would have happened with my family, if someone from my family stole one dollar from the Brazilian taxpayer. What would have happened? As we are not corrupt, as they are, they have investigation, they are doing investigation against my family for years, and they do not find nothing to accuse us, they go for that. So my father was riding a jet ski, this is on the coast of the São Paulo state, and he claimed...

• 46:52Patrick Bet-David?

  Did you rap?

• 46:53Speaker 05

He passed it by a whale, I don't know, 15 meters, 10 meters from a whale.

• 46:58Patrick Bet-David?

  That's him.

• 46:59Speaker 05

I think so, I think so. But this in Brazil is a crime that by the law, you can go from two until five years in jail if you disturb the whale. But no one applies this, this crime because you have, you have a tourist, you know, private boats, get the tourists on the beach, and go there to the tourists to watch the whales. Then Bolsonaro was doing pretty much the same thing. He was watching a whale, and then he was charged, he was under investigation. And one very important thing that we have to highlight is, who made the denounce? It is the environmental minister of Lula da Silva. Her name is Marina Silva.

• 47:41Speaker 05

And she tried first, the first, I think the first DA that took the case, said, okay, we do not have a crime here. Then she appealed for a second DA, and the second DA started an investigation on the federal police, ordered the federal police to start investigation about this thing. So this was a crime.

• 48:01Speaker 08

And the case was closed, right?

• 48:02Speaker 05

Yeah, the case now is closed, but you have a lot of highlights.

• 48:05Speaker 08

After three years of, like, two years of bullying him and all. Narratives. Character assassination, now the case.

• 48:12Patrick Bet-David?

Does he have a gag order on him right now?

• 48:14Speaker 05

  Gag?

• 48:15Speaker 08

  Gag order, censorship order.

• 48:16Speaker 06

  He can't speak.

• 48:17Patrick Bet-David?

  He can't speak.

• 48:18Speaker 06

He can't. No, he can. He's allowed. He can go to, but he's afraid to.

• 48:21Speaker 08

No, the country has a gag order on it.

• 48:23Speaker 06

Oh, there was a poll now, sixty-one percent of the Brazilian population, this is yesterday, right, Paul?

• 48:28Patrick Bet-David?

  Right.

• 48:29Speaker 06

There's a poll, sixty-one percent of the population are afraid to state their opinions online.

• 48:34Speaker 08

Sixty-one percent of the whole population.

• 48:37Speaker 06

Anything they believe. Forty-seven percent, that's two months ago, so probably now is more than sixty, forty-seven percent believe they are living under a dictatorship of the judiciary.

• 48:47Speaker 07

Yeah, for example, I can be in jail because I put like a wig in my head and I said that women are losing space for men that think that they are women.

• 48:58Patrick Bet-David?

  She actually did that?

• 48:59Speaker 07

Yeah, and I can be in jail for that. Like, really, I can be in jail. So if a deputy that has immunity to speak can be in jail for that, what a common citizen.

• 49:12Speaker 06

  What can happen to them.

• 49:13Speaker 07

Yeah, what can happen to them, so.

• 49:14Patrick Bet-David?

Okay, so Argentina. I go to Argentina a few years ago. I was expecting to fall in love. I was disappointed. It wasn't that big of a deal for me. I've been all over the world. Everybody would say Argentina is the Paris of, you know, South, Central America. You know, you're gonna go to Argentina's this, Argentina's, I'm like, okay, cool, we go, they're like, okay. Socialism. I kept talking to everybody, you know, forty percent, whatever the number was, forty percent of people work to pay the other people's bills, it's really this, and all this stuff, taxes are this, inflation is this. They keep telling me all this. I'm like, okay, how does, how does a beautiful place like this go? Then we went to all the different spots, we went sailing, we did everything. We wanted to kind of get the experience. Yeah, we went to the cemetery with, who's the famous girl that Salma Hayek played, what's her name?

• 49:57Speaker 05

  Evita.

• 49:57Patrick Bet-David?

  Evita, right, right, right.

• 49:58Speaker 05

  Evita Peron.

• 49:59Patrick Bet-David?

Don't cry for me, Argentina, the truth is I never left. She did a better job than me, obviously. But, so I went. Rob, why are you laughing, Rob? I'm just telling a story here. So anyways, we leave. Then, a year ago, year and a half ago, we're all watching this man that looks like an Argentinian, Elvis Presley. Big sideburns, screaming, fighting.

• 50:24Speaker 05

  Chainsaw.

• 50:24Patrick Bet-David?

Afuera, afuera, chainsaw, kissing girls, doing all this stuff, right? You know, and he throws the thing, the paper, these guys are out, they're out, afuera, everyone. And a libertarian candidate wins in Argentina and goes to World Economic Forum that Klaus Schwab brings him up and for 20 minutes, very slowly and calmly sells capitalism in front of their faces, right? And that thing goes viral all over the world, right? Uh, Javier Millay. How did he pull it, pull it off? And how do you compare this case study of the modern day Javier Millay type of a person?

• 51:07Patrick Bet-David?

Your father, any one of you in, in, um, in Brazil? How was he able to pull it off in a socialistic country that sounds like Brazil is going through right now?

• 51:18Speaker 05

I think one of the things is that environment was so miserable in Argentina. People were desperate trying to find a way out. That, that happens every time socialism go into power in a country. They destroy the economy, they destroy the quality of life of the population. Then when whatever's option appears and appears to be the, the possible, everybody jumps into that boat. So that happened with Javier Millay, that happened with Bolsonaro here, and that happens because of internet.

• 51:45Patrick Bet-David?

  It might happen in California.

• 51:46Speaker 05

  Yeah. Because in Argentina.

• 51:50Patrick Bet-David?

Well, I don't know, but if California keeps going that way, the way he's going in 10 years, they'll say, well, enough with the Democrats.

• 51:55Speaker 05

  Right.

• 51:56Patrick Bet-David?

  They're, they're ruining the, the.

• 51:57Speaker 05

  They're almost there.

• 51:58Patrick Bet-David?

  Yeah. They're almost there.

• 51:59Speaker 05

But like how, almost half of the people, they were poor in Argentina. The inflation was around 100%.

• 52:05Patrick Bet-David?

  Below the poverty line.

• 52:05Speaker 05

Yeah, below the poverty line and the inflation was about 100%. So, and they did try all the flavors of left in the past. So Millay was rising up as someone that, oh, okay, this guy, he, he has a different speech. And he is a professor, he studied economies, economy, and he really represent the outsider soul. So that's why he got, uh, he got elected. And one thing that make him got elected also is because the Argentinians, they use papers to vote. Their system to vote is not like we have in Brazil, because in Brazil it's fully electronic. And in Argentina they use paper ballots. So this is also something that made the difference. And by the way, he's doing a great job, great job.

• 52:51Speaker 08

Wait, they didn't have Moraes. They, Argentinians, they don't have a problem with the Supreme Court.

• 52:56Patrick Bet-David?

So let's, let's look at that. So Argentina paper. And you think that was a favor for him that Argentinians ran on paper election, paper ballot?

• 53:05Speaker 08

Because, because in Brazil, this is how you do it. You go to the election poll place, you just type the number in a machine. This machine sends the number to the computer of the Superior Electoral Court. And then you pray that your vote will be counted correctly by a court that was presided by Moraes. An open enemy of, this is like no exaggeration. There's no way to audit, and there were a ton of reports, including a report from the military, from the secretary, from the Ministry of Defense, saying that the system, they couldn't, they couldn't attest that the system was safe. And they, they couldn't do their job inspecting the machines. So, I'm not saying the election was stolen, but I can't say it was not.

• 53:50Speaker 08

And I don't trust, so eighty-two percent, that's their actual poll, eighty-two percent of Bolsonaro's voters don't trust the system in Brazil. I'm talking about thirty-seven percent of Brazilians, and that, there are millions of people.

• 54:03Speaker 07

And Patrick, when, when we say about the system of, of Brazil, like the, to vote, we, we can't say about that, like for, in, in the elections.

• 54:14Speaker 08

My father cannot run because of that.

• 54:16Speaker 07

  Yes.

• 54:16Speaker 08

They can't, you, you shouldn't say what I just said.

• 54:18Speaker 07

Yes, I, I, I will say. But for example, my, my accounts, my social media, they were blocked after the, the presidential elections. And I think that it's because I shared, um, a guy who was saying that was, there was something wrong with our elections. And just because of that, my, all my accounts on X, on Instagram, on Facebook, they were blocked. And until now, I don't know why. I don't have a sex to the, I don't have access to the process. My lawyer doesn't have access to the process. So that's the level of what we are facing, you know?

• 54:55Patrick Bet-David?

So can you pull up the inflation chart you just showed Rob in Argentina? So you just had it a minute ago. Literally, you had it a minute ago. Or if you go back, yeah, right there.

• 55:04Speaker 07

  Yep.

• 55:05Patrick Bet-David?

So Argentina inflation beats 200% in 2023. So what you're saying is, things got so that's from 2018 to 2019, 2020, 2021. It drops like to that 35, 38% and goes up 2022. And then all the way up to 23 to 211%. And then Malay wins. Okay? All right. No problem. So now go to inflation in Brazil. I'm curious to know what inflation looks at in Brazil right now.

• 55:33Speaker 06

We did the great during my father's. It was the first time that Brazil, we had the less inflation than the United States.

• 55:39Speaker 08

  Yeah. And interesting to know.

• 55:42Patrick Bet-David?

This is just two years. We need, we need more like I need, I need more than 2019. But okay, so under your father went all the way down to right there. We can kind of see, go back to that. So 2020, so this is inflation broke 10% in September.

• 55:54Speaker 06

  Is there a pandemic?

• 55:55Speaker 07

I think there is a better one down there. It's a red one.

• 55:59Speaker 08

It's important to know that the current sitting president of the Brazilian central bank.

• 56:03Speaker 07

  No, no, it's 95.

• 56:05Speaker 08

The Brazilian central bank, which our Fed is, the president is still the guy that was appointed by Bolsonaro. So they, they didn't have a chance to mess up with the monetary policy yet.

• 56:16Speaker 07

  That's a good one. In 2016.

• 56:19Patrick Bet-David?

  Yeah.

• 56:19Speaker 07

It was like Dilma Rousseff that got impeached. It's like, can you see it's like the same as level as we are facing now?

• 56:28Patrick Bet-David?

  Yeah.

• 56:28Speaker 07

And in the middle, guess what? Bolsonaro. Like two.

• 56:33Patrick Bet-David?

  What year was he in?

• 56:34Speaker 06

  That's.

• 56:35Speaker 07

  The year there is low.

• 56:36Speaker 06

The Michelle Tammer from 2017 until.

• 56:39Speaker 07

  2020.

• 56:40Speaker 06

  And then, and then.

• 56:41Speaker 07

  Then we got Covid stuff.

• 56:42Patrick Bet-David?

  Got it.

• 56:43Speaker 06

  Bolsonaro and then pandemic.

• 56:45Speaker 07

  Yep.

• 56:45Patrick Bet-David?

Got it. Got, and pandemic, it's everywhere that it went up. It's not like it's Brazil only.

• 56:50Speaker 06

Brazil bounced back from the pandemic better than any other, any other country in the world. We actually had our, our, our GDP.

• 56:57Patrick Bet-David?

  GDP.

• 56:58Speaker 06

  GOP. GDP.

• 56:59Patrick Bet-David?

  GDP.

• 56:59Speaker 06

  Higher than China.

• 57:01Speaker 08

And for the first time in my life, Brazil has had an actual lower inflation than the US. In my life, that never happened.

• 57:07Patrick Bet-David?

So it's not, but go to 2024 inflation, Rob. Just go 2024 Brazil inflation.

• 57:14Speaker 08

  It's not out of control.

• 57:15Patrick Bet-David?

That's what I want to know. So it's not that painful right now in Brazil.

• 57:20Speaker 06

Because it's just a year and a half that Lula took office. And the guy who is in the central bank is the guy that Bolsonaro chose. He's going to change now in the middle of this year, I think June. Right, because the president chooses the director of the central bank.

• 57:34Patrick Bet-David?

  Chairman of the Fed.

• 57:34Speaker 06

And stays two year in one office and two year the next office. So now he's going to be out.

• 57:39Speaker 07

And I think that we are going to face a higher inflation when changes the position of him.

• 57:46Speaker 06

But if you want, if you want numbers, for example, 40% of international investment has got out of Brazil. It's just getting out of Brazil. People are not seeing Brazil as a good place to invest anymore. So we have that. Now, unemployment is going up after years. Since 2021, unemployment was going down with Bolsonaro. And now for three months in a row, unemployment is going up. Now, the inflation with food is twice than the normal standard. So the inflation is 5%. Food has been going up 10%. Rice has never been as expensive as it is now. Beans, oil, olive oil. So the people that are, the poor people are actually suffering a lot. And there is a, how do you say, hobo? When the government spends more than they, they, they collect.

• 58:31Patrick Bet-David?

  Well, the deficit.

• 58:32Speaker 06

  The deficit.

• 58:33Speaker 07

  Deficit.

• 58:34Speaker 06

We are having record deficits now. The last year was 240 billion.

• 58:39Patrick Bet-David?

Well, Lula increased the public, uh.

• 58:42Speaker 06

  Spending.

• 58:42Patrick Bet-David?

Public debt and more than a trillion highs in less than a year.

• 58:46Speaker 06

In less than a year. And now he's putting taxes on everything.

• 58:49Patrick Bet-David?

  That's a new.

• 58:50Speaker 06

Raising taxes. And he just passed a bill that Brazil from this, after this moment is the higher tax payment, uh, tax pay, pay taxes in the world, which is 28%. So.

• 59:03Speaker 07

For example, he doesn't have any responsibility with, uh, financial of the country. For example, he's paying. like 3.3 billion reals I think it's like I don't know how much this in dollars but only with expanding for his travels like he spends money when the countries like need money for a lot of things

• 59:26Speaker 08

he bought new furniture for his palace and new

• 59:29Speaker 07

  his wife

• 59:30Speaker 08

  for his wife

• 59:31Speaker 06

he's a standard socialist right all the riches for him and misery for the rest

• 59:35Patrick Bet-David?

Jewish community, okay. They're alright. How about Alex Baring? Oh, that partner of the same two guys that we mentioned. And Hazar Bush? Yeah, well, it's 3G Capital, they own Hazar Bush and several other companies.

• 1:01:53Speaker 07

That one now, it's Louisa Elena Tragiano, like under the one.

• 1:01:58Patrick Bet-David?

  One more down.

• 1:01:59Speaker 07

One more down, one more down. Yeah, that's like, uh, Lula's biggest supporter.

• 1:02:04Patrick Bet-David?

  She is?

• 1:02:04Speaker 07

  Yes, she is.

• 1:02:05Speaker 06

And now she's about to go bankrupt.

• 1:02:07Speaker 07

  Yes, exactly.

• 1:02:08Patrick Bet-David?

  Why?

• 1:02:08Speaker 06

She helped elect him and now after he was elected, her shares went down like ninety or eighty percent.

• 1:02:14Patrick Bet-David?

But, but here's where I'm going with this, why I'm showing you this. The reason why I'm asking you this question is sometimes when, when you're, you're, you're running into wanting to run for office, become a president, right? Even Biden, I'm gonna tax the billionaires. He can't. He can't. You know why he can't? Cause they're giving him the money. So if they're funding him, like i- if you remember that one thing, Rob, if you can pull up the clip with Trump and Hillary Clinton, where he says Trump avoided paying this much taxes. I don't know if you know which one I'm talking about. Trump, you're gonna have a hard time finding it on YouTube, but I'm, I'm sorry, on, uh,

• 1:02:50Patrick Bet-David?

uh, if you, if you go to, um, if you go to, to Moment Debate, um, yeah, you'll have a easier time finding it. Hillary, Trump, um, uh, Hillary, Trump, taxes, debate, okay? If you, is that the one? That's the one, yeah. So there's a moment in the debate, which I don't know if you guys have seen or not. There's a moment in the debate in US. So funny. Yeah, where Hillary Clinton and Trump, they're going back and forth. And she asked him, just verify, Rob, real quick, if that's the one, if you can fast forward and see if this is when he's saying he didn't pay taxes, he didn't do this, he didn't do that. And then Trump comes back up and says, that's because, keep going to see if this is the one.

• 1:03:34Speaker 07

Yeah, I think it's the one that shows that they have more views.

• 1:03:37Patrick Bet-David?

Rob, go ahead and see if that's when he responds. That's the one that's, Dave Chappelle used on his, uh, SNL. There's one, uh, oh, here it is. It's the one that's a hundred and fifty-two thousand views. Does this have a hundred and fifty-two thousand views? Go to the one that's a hundred and fifty-two thousand views, Rob. That makes me smart. Okay, that's where you're at. Uh, how many minutes is this?

• 1:04:00Speaker 07

  One minute.

• 1:04:01Patrick Bet-David?

One minute. Okay, go ahead and play.

• 1:04:03Speaker 10

I will release my tax returns against my lawyer's wishes. When she releases her 33,000 emails that have been deleted. As soon as she releases them, I will release. I will release my tax returns.

• 1:04:19Speaker 11

So you've got to ask yourself, why won't he release his tax returns? And I think there may be a couple of reasons. First, maybe he's not as rich as he says he is. Second, maybe he's not as charitable as he claims to be. Third, we don't know all of his business dealings. But we have been told through investigative reporting that he owes about $650 million to Wall Street and foreign banks. Or maybe he doesn't want the American people, all of you watching tonight, to know that he's paid nothing in federal taxes. Because the only years that anybody's ever seen were a couple of years when he had to turn them over to state authorities

• 1:05:03Speaker 11

when he was trying to get a casino license. And they showed he didn't pay any federal income tax. So if he's paid zero, that means zero for troops, zero for vets.

• 1:05:14Patrick Bet-David?

That's why I said go to the 152,000 one. It's a top right. Right? That's the one. Yeah. So in this scene, what happens is he's saying, she's saying that, hey, you didn't do this, you didn't do that, you didn't do this. And then he turns around and says the following. Go ahead, Rob.

• 1:05:32Speaker 10

Of course I do. Of course I do. And so do all of her donors or most of her donors.

• 1:05:38Speaker 12

Did you use that $916 million loss to avoid paying personal federal income taxes for years?

• 1:05:42Speaker 10

Of course I do. Of course I do. And so do all of her donors or most of her donors. I know many of her donors. Her donors took massive tax write-offs. A lot of my, excuse me, a lot of my write-off was depreciation and other things that Hillary, as a senator, allowed. And she'll always allow it because the people that give her all this money, they want it. That's why. See, I understand the tax code better than anybody that's ever run for president. Hillary Clinton, and it's extremely complex. Hillary Clinton has friends that want all of these provisions, including they want the carried interest provision, which is very important to Wall Street people, but they really want the carried interest provision, which I believe Hillary's leaving. It's very interesting why she's leaving carried interest.

• 1:06:25Speaker 10

But I will tell you that, number one, I pay tremendous numbers of taxes. I absolutely used it, and so did Warren Buffett, and so did George Soros, and so did many of the other people that Hillary is getting money from. Now, I won't mention their names, because they're rich, but they're not famous, so we won't make them famous.

• 1:06:45Speaker 12

Can you say how many years you have avoided paying personal federal income taxes?

• 1:06:49Speaker 10

No, but I pay tax, and I pay federal tax too. But I have a write-off. A lot of it's depreciation, which is a wonderful charge. I love depreciation. You know, she's given it to us. Hey, if she had a problem, for 30 years she's been doing this, Anderson, I say it all the time. She talks about healthcare. Why didn't she do something about it? She talks about taxes. Why didn't she do something about it?

• 1:07:09Patrick Bet-David?

  That's a great question.

• 1:07:10Speaker 10

She doesn't do anything about anything other than talk. With her, it's all talk and no act.

• 1:07:16Patrick Bet-David?

So, watch this. The reason why I'm showing this clip to you is because out of all those billionaires that have the money, if you continuously go the way you're going, like especially Brazil, generally it's been a country that we feel safe going. This is a new thing that this is going on with Brazil. Nobody was expecting something like this to happen in Brazil. Aren't the billionaires, out of all those billionaires, how many of them are against Lula and Moraes that they're saying something that this is going to affect the economy? They're not going to allow this to continue. Who is voicing their opinions of the billionaires?

• 1:07:52Speaker 05

Who is voicing the opinion of the billionaires?

• 1:07:53Patrick Bet-David?

Who's saying things? Which one of the billionaires are saying, hey, you know, we may need to go a different direction? Any one of these guys vocal?

• 1:07:59Speaker 06

There's an investment group called Faria Lima.

• 1:08:04Speaker 06

And they are the one that are being more vocalized. They helped elect Lula, they favored Lula. But now they understood that they made a mess. They made a mistake. They are, or they are pretending that they are being deceived. But what they're saying is, well, this is not what we had agreed. This is not going what we agreed upon, the deal. And things are starting to look bad. But that's the only thing that I can think of.

• 1:08:26Speaker 08

Uh, I, I, actually, it's very interesting because today, there's, uh, the Estado de São Paulo is a, a big newspaper in Brazil. And they represent most of the establishment of São Paulo, the, the rich people. And it's more centered in São Paulo. Okay, so there's a big article, uh, called a ficha caiu. I don't know how to translate this, but they, it means they finally got it.

• 1:08:48Speaker 06

  People's realizing.

• 1:08:48Patrick Bet-David?

  Ficha caiu.

• 1:08:49Speaker 08

  Caiu.

• 1:08:50Patrick Bet-David?

  Caiu.

• 1:08:50Speaker 08

Yes, that means the, the, the coin fell inside the machine.

• 1:08:54Patrick Bet-David?

  Yep.

• 1:08:54Speaker 08

  That's what I mean.

• 1:08:55Speaker 06

  The machine is there.

• 1:08:56Speaker 08

Uh, and what's talking about is, is, uh, uh, one of the most important asset managers in, in Brazil. Uh, if you can pull up, uh, fundo Verde assets. It's Verde means green asset, asset, asset management. He's one of the most important guys in, in, in the country. Uh, his, his name is Stolberg. And not Verde, Verde with a D, with D as in Delta. Yeah. Uh, yes, Verde, yeah. And these, these guys are huge. They're like our, almost like our BlackRock, in a sense. And the guy is saying that he, he's finally saying that he regret supporting Lula.

• 1:09:38Patrick Bet-David?

Who's saying it? Who's the guy?

• 1:09:40Speaker 08

Stolberg. That's one of the most important guys.

• 1:09:43Patrick Bet-David?

What's happened to him since he's been vocal? Luis?

• 1:09:47Speaker 08

  Luis Stolberg.

• 1:09:48Patrick Bet-David?

Stober, how do you spell that?

• 1:09:49Speaker 08

  S T U, S T U H.

• 1:09:53Patrick Bet-David?

It's tough, you're, you're gonna have a hard time with that. I found it, I'll send it to us. Uh, Rob, I'll text it to you on, on who it is. Is, uh, extremely complicated spelling. But I'm, I'm sending it to you right now. Okay. So, okay, so he says that he made a big mistake, regrets it.

• 1:10:08Speaker 08

Yes, and there's this editorial piece on, uh, on Estadão, saying that, the newspaper, saying that the ficha caiu.

• 1:10:17Patrick Bet-David?

  Rob.

• 1:10:17Speaker 08

Meaning the, the, the money people realize that they made a bad choice with Lula.

• 1:10:25Speaker 05

I think they thought that they could control Lula, but Lula is doing everything that they did in the past. The difference is, we don't have that much amount of cash or possibilities to increase the credit for the people. Because when Lula was president, in the beginnings of the, from 2002 until 2010, we were having the, China was buying everything. Minerals, all the soft commodities we produce. So, Lula was lucky at that time. But now, after the pandemic, he doesn't has that margin to work again with assistance, and all of that. So what basically he's doing, he's spending the money as crazy. Because left-wing people, they do believe that the administration, the government,

• 1:11:08Speaker 05

is their responsibility to generate jobs, not the private sector. So they are increasing the taxes, getting the money, spending more money than what they are getting.

• 1:11:19Speaker 05

Is that fazendo um rombo? Creating a deficit.

• 1:11:21Speaker 07

  Huge deficit.

• 1:11:23Patrick Bet-David?

Let me ask you a question. Who's the second most powerful person in Brazil behind the conservative movement? Second most powerful. Your father's the most powerful. Who's the second most powerful?

• 1:11:33Speaker 05

  Hard to say.

• 1:11:34Speaker 08

It's very centralized in Bolsonaro now.

• 1:11:36Speaker 05

Then you have the second level, let me say. You have some governors of states.

• 1:11:40Speaker 07

  Eduardo could, I would say.

• 1:11:41Speaker 08

Well, there's the governor of São Paulo is very powerful.

• 1:11:45Speaker 07

  But he's not in conservative.

• 1:11:48Speaker 08

He was supported by Bolsonaro, he's in Bolsonaro's party, but he's not super conservative.

• 1:11:52Patrick Bet-David?

Who's the most famous, uh, famous person that's not happy with what's going on in Brazil? Famous person, celebrity?

• 1:12:01Speaker 07

That's not happy with what's going on in Brazil.

• 1:12:03Patrick Bet-David?

Celebrity, athlete, I'm talking actor, actress.

• 1:12:07Speaker 05

  Actor?

• 1:12:07Patrick Bet-David?

  Like what's?

• 1:12:08Speaker 07

  Gustavo Lima.

• 1:12:09Speaker 05

  Gustavo Lima.

• 1:12:10Speaker 07

He's a famous singer. Yeah, Gustavo Lima is a famous singer. He doesn't support Lula.

• 1:12:16Speaker 08

  Neymar, Neymar.

• 1:12:17Speaker 07

Neymar also, like Neymar in the 2022 elections, like he supported Bolsonaro and he got a lot of hate because of that, but he was very courageous about it.

• 1:12:29Speaker 08

He had a lot of courage. Neymar, he has balls.

• 1:12:32Speaker 07

Yeah, he do have. He do have. I, I, I was. With him like when he was in PSG.

• 1:12:37Patrick Bet-David?

  Mm-hmm.

• 1:12:37Speaker 07

And I talked to him about Bolsonaro. And he says he's very grateful because Bolsonaro supported him when he was accused for...

• 1:12:45Speaker 05

  unfairly accused.

• 1:12:46Speaker 07

  unfairly accused for a...

• 1:12:48Patrick Bet-David?

  Woman and stuff like that?

• 1:12:49Speaker 07

Yes, exactly. And Bolsonaro posted on the social media, supporting him. And he was very grateful for Bolsonaro.

• 1:12:56Patrick Bet-David?

So, how's your father doing right now? How are things with him?

• 1:12:59Speaker 05

I mean, uh, he's in the hospital, but he's recovering, uh, very, very good. Because after the stab that he received during the 2018 campaign, by the way, it was, he was stabbed by a former member of the Socialism and Liberty Party, which is extremely left in Brazil.

• 1:13:15Patrick Bet-David?

He was stabbed four times, I think, right? Or what was it? He got stabbed a few times?

• 1:13:19Speaker 05

No, no, no. He got stabbed only, only once, but the guy twisted the knife. The knife got into his belly 15 centimeters. And he literally almost died, like for one or two minutes more. If they delay to go to the hospital, he would be dead, out of blood. Because he died twice, because the heart was starting to be out of blood. He lost more than two liters of blood on the way to the hospital. And, uh, it was a miracle. It was a miracle. There is no other answer for that.

• 1:13:49Patrick Bet-David?

  How's he doing now?

• 1:13:50Speaker 05

So now he had a problem in the intestine that time after time he can face that. He can have this problem, obstruction. And then he had to go to the hospital and receive a special, uh, uh, uh, feeding by the nose. And he's responding very good, uh, uh, with this treatment. So I expect that tomorrow, maybe after tomorrow, he can go back home. And he's running all, all the country. If you have the possibility, show, show some of the images of the crowd. For example, in São Paulo, at the Paulista Avenue rally, or in the Copacabana Beach rally that we had.

• 1:14:25Speaker 07

But like 25 February is gonna be better, right?

• 1:14:28Speaker 05

  Yeah.

• 1:14:29Speaker 07

  25 February.

• 1:14:30Speaker 05

  25 February.

• 1:14:31Speaker 07

It's the most recent protest that we made. Because this is a...

• 1:14:35Patrick Bet-David?

  What is this?

• 1:14:36Speaker 07

  This is a long time.

• 1:14:37Speaker 05

Let me see. No, no, no, this is not. Maybe that one.

• 1:14:41Speaker 06

Copacabana, right there was Copacabana last month. Yeah, show that for us.

• 1:14:45Patrick Bet-David?

  This is where?

• 1:14:46Speaker 06

Copacabana, Rio de Janeiro, on the beach. More than a hundred, more than a hundred thousand.

• 1:14:50Speaker 05

But this was, this was the beginning, this was the beginning. There was no one on the truck, no one on the truck.

• 1:14:55Speaker 06

That was before Trump, Bolsonaro went up.

• 1:14:57Speaker 07

If you search twenty-five January Bolsonaro, uh, it's gonna be a...

• 1:15:02Speaker 06

  Was it January, not February?

• 1:15:03Speaker 07

  February, sorry, February.

• 1:15:05Patrick Bet-David?

  Twenty-five, February?

• 1:15:06Speaker 07

  Yeah.

• 1:15:07Speaker 06

  February twenty-fifth.

• 1:15:08Speaker 05

Or if you follow me on social media, Bolsonaro S P.

• 1:15:11Patrick Bet-David?

Do it, yeah, Bolsonaro S P. So you posted the video?

• 1:15:14Speaker 06

  No, that, that's all.

• 1:15:15Speaker 07

  Yeah, that's it.

• 1:15:16Speaker 06

That's one million people on Avenida Paulista, January. February.

• 1:15:21Patrick Bet-David?

  Two months ago.

• 1:15:22Speaker 07

  Yeah, two months ago.

• 1:15:23Speaker 05

  And I remember.

• 1:15:24Speaker 07

Bolsonaro is more popular than Lula Farfarri.

• 1:15:29Speaker 06

One million people going to the streets to support a guy who is ineligible, who cannot run for elections.

• 1:15:34Speaker 05

  Yep.

• 1:15:35Speaker 06

Has passports suspended, who can go to prison.

• 1:15:38Patrick Bet-David?

This is, this is February twenty-fifth?

• 1:15:39Speaker 06

  Yeah.

• 1:15:39Speaker 07

  Yes, yes.

• 1:15:41Patrick Bet-David?

Hit the volume, Rob? Oh my God, what street is this?

• 1:15:45Speaker 06

Avenida Paulista, it's a main street to São Paulo.

• 1:15:47Speaker 05

And, uh, uh, I have to add that people there, they...

• 1:15:51Patrick Bet-David?

  Are you kidding me?

• 1:15:52Speaker 05

They are under threat. Before, before...

• 1:15:56Speaker 06

It's ten blocks of people like that.

• 1:15:57Speaker 05

Yeah, before, before they go to the streets, the left wing in the Congress, they start to fret people.

• 1:16:01Speaker 06

  Oh, yeah.

• 1:16:02Speaker 05

Hey, you, right wing, if you're going back to the streets to support Bolsonaro, we are going to be in jail, just like the people that went to the January eighth and then two thousand twenty-three, as they are in jail now. So it was a big threat, people is under censorship, and still, they did go there. It shows that people still mobilized.

• 1:16:22Speaker 06

  I'm proud of these people.

• 1:16:23Speaker 07

Like, for example, Bolsonaro is more popular than our, uh, current president, uh, Lula. It's the first...

• 1:16:30Speaker 06

You are more popular than our current president, seriously.

• 1:16:32Speaker 07

Lula, Lula, uh, it's the first time that, Bolsonaro always say that, it's the first time that Brazil has a president, uh, without people.

• 1:16:40Speaker 06

  Yeah.

• 1:16:42Speaker 07

Like, a team can win a, a championship without, uh...

• 1:16:46Speaker 05

  Cheerleaders, without...

• 1:16:47Speaker 06

  Rooters, rooters.

• 1:16:49Speaker 07

Rooters, but it's the first time that we have a president without people on the streets.

• 1:16:53Patrick Bet-David?

  You're nine, you're, you're born in ninety-six?

• 1:16:55Speaker 07

  Yeah, I'm twenty-five, twenty-seven years old.

• 1:16:56Patrick Bet-David?

  You're twenty-seven years old?

• 1:16:58Speaker 07

  Yes.

• 1:16:58Patrick Bet-David?

  With eighteen million followers.

• 1:17:00Speaker 08

  No, this guy is unbelievable.

• 1:17:02Speaker 07

He's a political phenomenon that is bigger than Brazil. Like when you, when you add, yeah, when you add TikTok, Instagram, YouTube is more than 21 million.

• 1:17:12Patrick Bet-David?

21 million followers at 27 years old.

• 1:17:15Speaker 07

  Yeah. Only talking about politics.

• 1:17:18Patrick Bet-David?

Let me ask you, what are your long-term aspirations? Do you have any plans of one day running? Like, I'm sure everybody talks about one day running.

• 1:17:24Speaker 07

Yeah, I know everybody talks about that. But I'm, I think that I have a mission right now in the Congress. And I think that we need to put our feet in the ground and see that there is a long path to, to run and to work. I, I know that I'm very young. I know there's a lot of responsibilities. And one day, Jair Bolsonaro said to us in a, in a private reunion, he said, oh, so do you want to be like a president? You're gonna, like, it's a bad thing, you're gonna... You're gonna get hard life, hard life. Yeah, yes.

• 1:17:57Patrick Bet-David?

  This is the same language.

• 1:18:00Speaker 07

It's a universal language, so you're gonna, you know? And I was like, no, no.

• 1:18:05Speaker 07

Bolsonaro always talks to me like that, so stay, stay humble, be calm, because everything has a time, take your time.

• 1:18:11Patrick Bet-David?

Picture on your phone, you got a kid?

• 1:18:12Speaker 07

Yeah, I do have a kid, it's like two months. Daughter.

• 1:18:16Patrick Bet-David?

  Congratulations.

• 1:18:17Speaker 07

Yeah, she has two months, I want to have like seven kids.

• 1:18:19Patrick Bet-David?

  Good, I, I love it, I, I would have 20 if I, if I...

• 1:18:23Speaker 08

  And he's unbelievable, Patrick.

• 1:18:24Patrick Bet-David?

  He's what?

• 1:18:24Speaker 08

He's unbelievable, he's a very, I can tell, he's a very, because I know him, and I met him before he was in Congress. He's a very good person with good moral values, very Christian. And, and he follows what he believes truly, which is very rare with politicians.

• 1:18:39Patrick Bet-David?

  At that age, are you...

• 1:18:40Speaker 08

So he's one of a kind, he's definitely one of a kind.

• 1:18:42Patrick Bet-David?

It's very hard to handle fame, sudden fame at a young age. Most people don't know how to handle it. Very hard to handle a sudden fame, and you need the right people. More importantly, you need to be raised on the right values and principles. I'm sure your parents did a great job with you, the environment you were in. I don't know the story of your parents. But that doesn't happen accidentally, that's years of.

• 1:19:02Speaker 07

Yeah, but Patrick, I think one thing that helped me is because I came from like a favela, a poor neighborhood, yeah, in Brazil, it's called Cabana, Cabana do Pai Tomas, it's the name of it. And my, yeah, my father and my mom, they came from a very poor family and I still there, my church is still there. I go to the church, I play drums there, so I, yeah, I keep, I keep my, my, my life as the way I lived before, I think.

• 1:19:29Patrick Bet-David?

  Play soccer on.

• 1:19:30Speaker 07

Yeah, I play soccer there and I really do play soccer.

• 1:19:33Patrick Bet-David?

Who's your favorite soccer of all time? That's a 27 year old.

• 1:19:36Speaker 07

  All, all, okay, all time.

• 1:19:38Patrick Bet-David?

Neymar, Pele, Messi, who are you gonna go?

• 1:19:41Speaker 07

Okay Neymar, I love you, but, but I think the great of all time that came to the, to the top, I think is Ronaldinho, really.

• 1:19:49Patrick Bet-David?

  Oh, you put Ronaldinho.

• 1:19:50Speaker 07

  Ronaldinho.

• 1:19:51Patrick Bet-David?

  Which one?

• 1:19:51Speaker 07

  Ronaldinho Gaúcho.

• 1:19:52Patrick Bet-David?

Ronaldinho, the footwork, Ronaldinho, the fun.

• 1:19:55Speaker 07

Yeah, to play in Barcelona, I think that he has the most beautiful football, he came to the top, but I think that for example.

• 1:20:03Patrick Bet-David?

  He's so likeable.

• 1:20:04Speaker 07

  Yeah.

• 1:20:04Patrick Bet-David?

He's so handsome. Yeah, he's likeable.

• 1:20:08Patrick Bet-David?

He, he, whenever you see his relationship with Messi, it's beautiful when you see the relationship with him and Messi. There's a respect. And I play the role of an older brother, when he comes, he hugs him, you know, and.

• 1:20:18Speaker 07

Like Ronaldinho was in jail and he played a championship there, you know, like everyone likes him.

• 1:20:23Patrick Bet-David?

When he was in prison, yeah. Why did he go to jail? What was the reason? Take passport in Paraguay.

• 1:20:29Speaker 07

Yeah, but I think it was all was his fault, someone did, but, yeah.

• 1:20:34Patrick Bet-David?

I heard he liked to have a lot of fun as well, I heard he's a pretty fun guy as well, you know. Yes.

• 1:20:38Speaker 07

But anyway, that, that's it, I think that's the, I can say that is the, is the secret, I think you need to see the reality, like always my dream was to have a family, so I do have now, like my wife, I love her so much, my wife, because I can't talk about my baby and not talk about my wife, right? I'm always the, I was always a young.

• 1:20:57Patrick Bet-David?

  Very wise man.

• 1:20:58Speaker 07

And one thing is for sure, in my university, I, I studied five years of law, I'm graduating in law, in these five years, like a conservative, young boy or girl who studies in university in Brazil, it's so hostile, that you can't say that you are against abortion, you can't say that you are against transgender in sports, you only, you can't say that.

• 1:21:20Patrick Bet-David?

When you go in the streets, how do people treat you in the streets when you go shopping?

• 1:21:24Speaker 07

  No, they treat very well.

• 1:21:26Patrick Bet-David?

They're respectful to you, you don't get a lot of hate?

• 1:21:29Speaker 07

No, I don't because I think that all the leftists are, they are very cowards.

• 1:21:33Speaker 06

Yeah, they're only brave in the internet.

• 1:21:36Speaker 07

Yeah, they shout a lot, but they are very coward.

• 1:21:38Speaker 06

And this is something interesting, this happens to Eduardo as well, whenever I'm with him and we walk in the, anywhere we go, people just wanna take pictures and they go to him and say, "Please don't give up, you are our hope, what you're doing, I'm praying for you." I, when I go out, the same thing in my city, it's the same things, that's why we don't give up. Because even though there are a lot of, there might be a lot of hate from the legacy media and some bubbles of idiocracy, the idiots. When we go to the street, to the real world, what we see is just love and support and people wanting us to keep fighting, to keep defending them.

• 1:22:08Speaker 05

And this is something that we have to highlight, because sometimes people imagine that, oh, for every picture that we take, I hate, a hater come and talk bad things to us. And no, no, I can tell you, like, every 5,000 pictures or 10,000 pictures that we take, one guy crosses to you and when he's a bit far away, he starts to say, "Oh fascist, fascist."

• 1:22:27Speaker 07

  I'm homophobic and he was.

• 1:22:29Patrick Bet-David?

So that's what they say. So going back to you, so all of you guys here, what's, what do you think's gonna happen now with your pops? Right? Because your, your father is loved, he's admired, and he's hated by the opposition, right? What's next for him? The strategy they're taking with your father, there's a difference between him and your dad, and Trump here, Trump, they're giving him a gag order where he can't speak, right? Every time he speaks, they're fining him a thousand dollars, a thousand dollars, a thousand dollars, and even yesterday, Rob, Mayor Adams said what? He said that, uh, uh, "We are very ready in New York that if he goes to jail, we're ready for him if he goes to jail." They're ready to put this man in jail, which I think if they put him in jail, it's gonna be terrible for them, it's gonna be great for Trump, it's gonna be horrible for them.

• 1:23:14Patrick Bet-David?

Every time they do something to him, he wins. But, uh, Trump's got a few billion dollars. Trump's got money, Trump's got, you know, some of the stuff that's going on with him. Your dad doesn't have, you know, money to be able to go out there and do it. So how is he able to get his message out there? Their goal is to silence your father. How do you fight against that?

• 1:23:35Speaker 05

That is a very good question. I mean, there are some issues that you cannot talk in Brazil. For example, the electoral process, you cannot talk about that. But still, he's going all the way around, all around the country, raising up his flags, our conservative flags, now God, patriot, family and freedom. And we have a strategy to overturn inside of the electoral court next year, because the electoral court, the Superior Electoral Court in Brazil is formed by seven judges. Three of these judges, they come from the Supreme Court. So next year, these three judges, justices from the Supreme Court that will be part of the electoral court, two were the guys that were appointed by my father, which does not mean that they are going to do everything in favor of my father. It means that-

• 1:24:20Speaker 08

Well, actually, they have been supporting the rise almost fully.

• 1:24:24Speaker 05

But anyway, what I would say is, we will have next year a way more balanced electoral court than the electoral court, the current electoral court that we have chaired by Alexandre de Moraes. So maybe on the next year, we can overturn the eligibility that my father is having now.

Your sausage McMuffin with egg didn't change, your receipt did. The sausage McMuffin with egg extra value meal includes a hash brown and a small coffee for just $5. Only at McDonald's for a limited time.

• 1:25:27Speaker 02

Price and participation may vary. Promotion pricing may be lower than meal pricing.

• 1:25:31Patrick Bet-David?

The eligibility that your father has now.

• 1:25:33Speaker 05

Yeah, and if we can overturn that, my father can run on 2026.

• 1:25:37Patrick Bet-David?

  You're saying we as Congress?

• 1:25:40Speaker 05

No, we as Bolsonaro supporters. Yeah, Bolsonaro supporter. It's very, I'm not, I'm not going to lie to you, this is a very...

• 1:25:46Speaker 08

  Very unlikely.

• 1:25:46Speaker 05

  Yeah, very like.

• 1:25:48Speaker 08

I mean, but we have a...

• 1:25:49Patrick Bet-David?

  Unlikely?

• 1:25:50Speaker 05

Yes, because the establishment do not like us.

• 1:25:52Patrick Bet-David?

So what's your strategy? What's your strategy?

• 1:25:53Speaker 08

Well, if Bolsonaro doesn't run, he can run, and he's even better.

• 1:25:56Patrick Bet-David?

Really? So if he doesn't run, you can run?

• 1:25:58Speaker 08

  He can.

• 1:25:59Speaker 05

  Thank you, Paulo.

• 1:26:00Speaker 08

Well, I think you're better. I like your father, I like him personally, but you're, you're, you're better than him. And worse, worse for the left. I'm sorry, I have to say, I'm very blunt.

• 1:26:12Patrick Bet-David?

So, this is, by the way, Elon Musk just tweeted this a couple hours ago. "Given the terrible flooding in Rio, Starlink will donate 1,000 terminals to emergency responders and make usage of all terminals in the region free until the region has recovered. I hope the best for people of Brazil." I think this is in response to a video that was posted by, is that who I think it is?

• 1:26:32Speaker 08

  Yeah, just I mentioned.

• 1:26:33Speaker 05

  Yeah, Zalabim.

• 1:26:33Patrick Bet-David?

She posted a video saying, saying what?

• 1:26:36Speaker 05

  She's from there.

• 1:26:36Speaker 13

My home state in Rio Grande do Sul, southern Brazil, has had the worst tragedy in its history.

• 1:26:42Speaker 08

  That's so sad.

• 1:26:43Speaker 13

Heavy rains flooded entire towns in most part of the state. It's not one or two cities, it's more than 350 cities affected. People are not only losing their houses, their jobs, they're losing everything. And there are many still to be rescued. Nobody was ready for such devastation. Towns are isolated, roads and bridges were destroyed. People have no electricity, no clean water to drink.

• 1:27:10Patrick Bet-David?

This is going on right now.

• 1:27:10Speaker 13

And many have been separated from their loved ones. And the sad is, is that many lives were lost. It's painful, it's heartbreaking. So please join me in trying to help. Make donations and help in any way that you can. Thank you so much.

• 1:27:31Patrick Bet-David?

Okay, you can pause that. So let me ask you.

• 1:27:33Speaker 08

She's such a good person, Gisele.

• 1:27:34Patrick Bet-David?

I love, I love the fact that Elon is going out of his way to send 1,000 terminals to them. So if the people in Brazil don't have access to internet, and if they do, the internet can block whatever sites that they're not allowing to go into Brazil. They can block X, they can block, block certain websites, right?

• 1:27:56Speaker 08

How important is what he's doing right now for the people that maybe don't have access to VPN? How important is this?

• 1:28:01Speaker 07

Look, I'm asking, I'm in a conversation with a lot of people that are helping Rio Grande do Sul right now. And the internet is so important because you can communicate, you can say where to put water, where to rescue.

• 1:28:15Speaker 08

  You can be rescued.

• 1:28:16Speaker 07

Yeah, you can rescue people. So Starlink, actually, it's an interesting point. The Socialist and Liberty Party in Brazil, they tried to banish Starlink from Brazil. It's like one month ago, after Elon Musk started to say about free speech in Brazil. This party, Socialist Party, said that Starlink should be banished from Brazil because he was like helping the right-wing conservatives in Brazil.

• 1:28:48Speaker 08

They're crazy. They have this concern that they can't block Starlink, as they have been blocking everything else. So they don't want Starlink to become popular in Brazil because of satellites, there's nothing they can do. But in this case, it's a problem because everybody's talking about what's happening in the south of the country. And Elon Musk decided to help, and this is very helpful.

• 1:29:06Speaker 07

Yeah, and before of him posted it, that he was giving like 1,000 Starlink units. There was an institute called Instituto Cultural Floresta in Rio Grande do Sul.

• 1:29:20Speaker 08

  Left and Joe.

• 1:29:20Speaker 07

Yeah, that bought, no, they bought like 20, I don't know, it was 25 or 50 of these Starlinks that they were already helping people with the internet. So before Elon Musk gave this, people were receiving help from the Starlink internet. So, and they save like a lot of people rescuing, giving food, giving water.

• 1:29:43Speaker 08

Because these people with no infrastructure for a long time.

• 1:29:47Speaker 07

  Yep.

• 1:29:48Speaker 08

So this will be the only way that they will be able to connect basic infrastructure service and governmental agencies and all that. This is gonna take a long time to fix. This is like Katrina in the US.

• 1:30:01Speaker 06

Something interesting about this disaster that's happening in Brazil, which it kind of like connects to the censorship that's happening there. The total incompetence of the government to react. So it took four days for the government to start reacting. Uruguay wanted to help with some ships, boats and air helicopters, and our government rejected. And then there was a minister saying that they were not going to send any money yet because the mayors were not sending their demands, which is a lie. And then people started organizing by themselves to send supplies, clean water, toilet paper, everything there, by trucks, and the government, the federal government, was stopping these trucks and giving them fines because they didn't have a receipt or it was overweight.

• 1:30:46Speaker 06

Driver's license. The institution responsible for medicine was not letting the medicine get there. So what happened is that we started denouncing that. We started posting on our social media that the government was not only not helping, but it was... Blocking the help. Blocking help to get there, right? So what did the government do? Again, they sued us. We are now all under investigation because we are posting what the people from there are saying. The biggest mainstream media, our CNN, as you can see, this global news, posted that it was a lie that the trucks were being stopped by checkpoints and being fined, right? And that the secretary of communications from the government said it was a lie and it would put the Supreme Court to investigate Bolsonaro,

• 1:31:30Speaker 06

to investigate me, Nicolas, everybody. But then another network, which is the second biggest one, SBT, posted the video of the trucks being fined. And the ANTT, the Agency of National Transportation, stopping trucks with full of rice and mattresses and medicine. Filing them. And fining them because they didn't have a receipt or because they were overweight. So now we are being persecuted, we are being... Not me, okay, just not me. Some of us are being put under investigation by the Supreme Court for saying the truth. Even when the truth is being unveiled, even when the global has been exposed as saying a lie, we're still under investigation.

• 1:32:13Speaker 06

So going back to the beginning of our conversation, Brazil is not a democracy anymore. We don't have free speech. And if you see anything that shows how incompetent the government is, you can go to prison.

• 1:32:24Patrick Bet-David?

How do, who is the neighboring country that you have a good relationship with? That can help you, that's against what's going on today? Argentina now. Argentina now because of Millet? Yeah. Which makes sense. I'm assuming Maduro, you know Venezuela.

• 1:32:39Speaker 05

  No, Maduro's a supporter of.

• 1:32:40Patrick Bet-David?

How about one, what was the other guy, Gaita or one?

• 1:32:44Speaker 05

  Petro, Colombia?

• 1:32:45Patrick Bet-David?

No, Colombia, the guy. Nayib Kelly.

• 1:32:47Speaker 07

No, the guy that was running against Nicolas, is Guaido.

• 1:32:50Patrick Bet-David?

  Guaido, yeah.

• 1:32:52Speaker 07

  Guaido.

• 1:32:52Patrick Bet-David?

Guaido joined Maduro's camp though, right? So he's gone. There's nothing really going on there. I don't know. Okay, got it. And then what's the other one you said? You said one other name? Uruguay. Uruguay. Uruguay. Who is that? It's a small country in the south of Brazil. No, I know Uruguay, but who is the, are they for? Like are they, their way of thinking is what? It's not, it's extreme left, right?

• 1:33:12Speaker 05

  Uruguay, Uruguay, Argentina, Paraguay, Ecuador.

• 1:33:15Patrick Bet-David?

Luis Suarez is from Uruguay, right? Luis Suarez? Yes, Luis Suarez is.

• 1:33:18Speaker 05

  La Calle Paul is there.

• 1:33:19Patrick Bet-David?

  Yeah.

• 1:33:20Speaker 05

  Uh huh.

• 1:33:20Patrick Bet-David?

  Yeah.

• 1:33:21Speaker 05

  He's center-right, I can say. He's center-right.

• 1:33:23Patrick Bet-David?

Okay, got it. Yeah, I'm just trying to think right now, like who, you know, sometimes neighbors who don't want to see what's going on in a country will contribute and try to help to the best of their abilities. What's Millet doing? Is Millet at all talking about Brazil or not at all?

• 1:33:38Speaker 05

Yes, he even, through his chancellor, Diana Mondiello, he tweeted, she tweeted, "Offering asylum for the ex-employees that were in Brazil." Because Elon Musk was even answering Nikolas Ferreira, saying that when all the ex-employees, when they were in a safe place, Elon Musk would release more information about this, what is going on in this relation with Alexandre de Moraes. So this is one point. He's in favor of the free speech and he's helping doing that. And now, during the flutes, flutes that we have in the, in the south of Brazil, he also offered some structures, helicopters, if I'm not wrong, some boats.

• 1:34:19Speaker 05

And I'm not sure if the federal government, if Lula da Silva accept, did accept that, I'm not sure. But Uruguay was also offering some help.

• 1:34:27Patrick Bet-David?

I'm just checking here, yes, Argentina offered help.

• 1:34:31Speaker 07

It's in the screen over there.

• 1:34:34Speaker 06

  Which one?

• 1:34:36Speaker 08

  No, it's not there.

• 1:34:38Speaker 06

Argentina offers help to Brazil. But I say here, Gazeta do Povo is a Brazilian.

• 1:34:41Speaker 07

  Only photos, sorry.

• 1:34:43Patrick Bet-David?

  Argentina offers help to Brazil.

• 1:34:45Speaker 08

So in favor of free speech, Milley is doing a great job.

• 1:34:48Speaker 06

Airplanes, helicopters, boats and all that.

• 1:34:49Speaker 07

  Yeah.

• 1:34:50Patrick Bet-David?

I think it's not on the US.

• 1:34:51Speaker 06

  He likes helping.

• 1:34:52Patrick Bet-David?

How does Lula feel about Milley?

• 1:34:54Speaker 06

He refuses, he refused, he denied help from Uruguay. Something, another scandal. So Uruguay wanted to help. Lula said, "No, you're not gonna help. We don't want anything." People are dying, you saw the situation, how it is, right?

• 1:35:06Speaker 08

You have people sleeping on the roof. People is sleeping on the roof.

• 1:35:09Patrick Bet-David?

Why would he say, "No, we don't want your help"?

• 1:35:11Speaker 07

Yeah, that's it. And then after, he said that it was fake news. But the same editorial, the same news, said that it's fake news, that he is saying that it's fake news.

• 1:35:20Speaker 06

One of our congressmen, Marcel van Hatten, it's crazy. One of our congressmen, Marcel van Hatten, actually went and talked to Uruguay ambassador.

• 1:35:28Speaker 07

  Ambassador.

• 1:35:28Speaker 06

Asking, "What happened? Did you guys actually offered some help?" And the ambassador, "Yes, we did." Lula denied. Lula said, "No."

• 1:35:34Speaker 08

Because, look, fake news is an actual problem.

• 1:35:37Speaker 06

  He's right.

• 1:35:37Speaker 08

There are a lot of people spreading false information all over the internet. We had problems with that in the US and there's problems with that in Brazil as well. But in real life, there's no solutions, only trade-offs, like Tomás Oso used to say, right? So the problem is, who defines what are the fake news? Who decides that? And in the moment that Brazil started to have a justice punishing everyone that was spreading misinformation or whatever, now the federal government in Brazil is saying, "Well, we think this is misinformation as well." So they're deciding that any speech that they dislike, it's called misinformation. So, yes, fake news is a problem, but you don't fix it with censorship. And the Western will realize that.

• 1:36:22Speaker 08

It took a long time for people to realize that the only antidote against fake news is more real news and a free market of ideas and public debate. So right now, what they're feeling and what's happening, the strategy in Brazil, is the government is simply stopping any criticism against them, saying it's fake.

• 1:36:42Speaker 07

  For example...

• 1:36:43Speaker 08

  It's the Ministry of Truth.

• 1:36:45Speaker 07

That's really important. In 2022 elections, the Supreme Electoral Court denied to put in internet, wherever, associating Lula to Daniel Ortega in Nicaragua. Like, they prohibited this.

• 1:37:02Speaker 08

  The dictator.

• 1:37:02Speaker 07

Anyone that posted this on internet, they got a fine or their accounts were blocked, okay? Another thing, we couldn't say that there was a relationship with criminal organizations and Lula, even though there was a, that recorded, the recording audio that we said here before. So, now, Lula received Maduro in Brazil. Now, Lula, it's for like-

• 1:37:29Speaker 08

They've established full relationship with Venezuela.

• 1:37:31Speaker 07

Yeah, he has a full relationship, not only with Venezuela, but Nicaragua also. So, the important question is, who from the left in Brazil is being sued or fined because of fake news? Anyone.

• 1:37:46Speaker 08

  No one.

• 1:37:46Speaker 07

Any congressman, any congresswoman. You don't have journalists from the left, they are being fined because of fake news. Only conservatives. That's like-

• 1:37:56Speaker 08

The problem with this is, this, so, your house, Congress, MP, how many is left, how many is right? What's the split? A hundred, 130 left, 130 right, and the rest in the middle.

• 1:38:08Speaker 07

Physiological. Almost 100 is right, and the other 400 is center, divided with center and left wing.

• 1:38:17Speaker 08

But the left has a run to 100 as well, mostly.

• 1:38:19Speaker 07

Hard left, hard left. The center in Brazil, they decide- They run the show. But they, but they have price tag. Yeah, really, really. They have price tag.

• 1:38:27Speaker 08

But the center in Brazil means corruption.

• 1:38:29Speaker 07

We don't buy. The left buys the center, so the center votes with them. So, the problem is, you know, but it's a great thing, okay? Because back in the 90s and- There was two. 2002, there was two. He's dead and another one. Andaeus. Andaeus, for example.

• 1:38:43Speaker 08

  Yes.

• 1:38:44Speaker 07

Now, I know that's not the ideal world, but it's more than we ever had.

• 1:38:48Speaker 08

And these guys are great. I mean, really. I've known a lot of politicians in the US and in Brazil. And you have here three of our best guys. Guy is a very, very good person as well. I met him when he was a podcaster. Okay, that's his background. He has an English school, but he was a podcaster as well. Nicolas already said too many things about you, but you deserve them. And Eduardo Bolsonaro, he's one of the most humble, down-to-earth person that I've ever met. Although he's the son of a president.

• 1:39:15Speaker 06

  Yeah.

• 1:39:16Speaker 08

So, and it's consensual. If you, in Congress, you know, a lot of disputes and political disputes in Congress, same as here. You see on the right, people have their own vanities and they disagree with each other. Everybody likes Eduardo.

• 1:39:29Patrick Bet-David?

Left, right, center, they like him.

• 1:39:31Speaker 08

  Right.

• 1:39:31Speaker 06

  No.

• 1:39:33Speaker 08

Well, who does the left like? But even the center likes him.

• 1:39:36Speaker 07

It's not important only who supports you, but who doesn't support you.

• 1:39:40Speaker 08

My point being, we have the best Congress we ever had in Brazil.

• 1:39:46Speaker 08

  For conservatives.

• 1:39:46Speaker 07

Until it's not the ideal, we can't do much. Because we know that there's a lot of centralized power. But we can, like, we can, not too much, but we can speak. We can open the eyes of the people like.

• 1:39:59Speaker 06

  Expose.

• 1:40:00Speaker 07

  Yeah, 25 February.

• 1:40:02Speaker 06

We became a danger. We became a danger to the establishment.

• 1:40:05Patrick Bet-David?

  Really expose.

• 1:40:06Speaker 08

  Well, they're here doing that.

• 1:40:07Speaker 07

  Yeah, we can expose.

• 1:40:08Speaker 06

At risk, but we can. I know, we all know we are at certain risk.

• 1:40:12Patrick Bet-David?

What's the worst thing they can do to you? Just arrest you?

• 1:40:14Speaker 07

  Arrest.

• 1:40:14Speaker 08

Daniel Silveira, congressman, nine years in prison for recording a video harshly criticizing Moraes. He's serving now in general population in Rio.

• 1:40:26Speaker 07

  Look, Patrick.

• 1:40:27Patrick Bet-David?

What's the worst thing he said in that video?

• 1:40:29Speaker 07

I really don't know, but, look, it was a hard speech, okay? A really hard speech.

• 1:40:33Speaker 08

  Bad words.

• 1:40:34Speaker 07

  Yeah.

• 1:40:34Speaker 08

  Bad word.

• 1:40:35Speaker 07

A lot of people disagree with him, even from the right.

• 1:40:38Speaker 08

I think everyone disagrees with everyone.

• 1:40:39Speaker 07

But it doesn't mean anything, because.

• 1:40:41Speaker 06

You can get arrested for your words.

• 1:40:42Speaker 07

He is in jail, in the worst jail, one of the worst jails in Brazil, okay? Well, like, of the most criminal.

• 1:40:48Speaker 08

  Drug dealers from Rio.

• 1:40:50Speaker 07

Okay, the bad, the worst prison that I was in my life was Bangu Um. That is the place that he is right now. And he is in jail because of opinion. Yeah, in prison.

• 1:41:03Patrick Bet-David?

  This guy?

• 1:41:03Speaker 08

  Yes.

• 1:41:04Speaker 07

  Yeah, this guy.

• 1:41:05Patrick Bet-David?

  Zoom in.

• 1:41:06Speaker 07

  Yeah.

• 1:41:06Speaker 06

He was a police officer as well, before becoming a congressman.

• 1:41:09Speaker 08

Yeah, you're sending a police officer to a prison in Rio with drug dealers. How good that can be?

• 1:41:16Speaker 06

It's not that, it's not the end, because when he went to jail.

• 1:41:19Speaker 05

My father, he was the president at that time.

• 1:41:21Speaker 06

  Yeah, that's it.

• 1:41:22Speaker 05

And my father gave to this guy the presidential pardon. So, when my father, when he did not get re-elected, the Supreme Court get a case, and they cancelled, for the first time in the history of Brazil, the presidential pardon. And sent back again Daniel Souza to the prison. He was in the prison waiting for judgment, alright? So, he was released, and then he was convicted for almost 90 years in prison.

• 1:41:51Speaker 06

  And it was...

• 1:41:52Speaker 08

You know the former prosecutor of Lula? The guy that... His former lawyer? No, the prosecutor of Lula. Okay. The guy that was car wash chief...

• 1:42:01Speaker 06

The prosecutor of the car wash.

• 1:42:03Speaker 08

Chief prosecutor. Yes. The guy who sent Lula to prison. Right. He left the Department of Justice, and he ran for Congress. He was the most voted congressman in his state, Paraná. He lost his seat by order of Moraes. By what? By Moraes.

• 1:42:20Speaker 06

  Order of...

• 1:42:21Speaker 08

  Of Moraes courts.

• 1:42:22Speaker 06

  Alexandre.

• 1:42:22Speaker 08

Of the electoral court. Wait, wait, wait. He lost his seat. You can do that? Well, you shouldn't be able to...

• 1:42:27Speaker 06

He can do anything he wants.

• 1:42:28Speaker 08

Moraes can do whatever he wants. Wow. Whatever he wants.

• 1:42:31Speaker 06

So now you might be wondering right now, say, "How is it possible that one guy does all that, and no one is there to contest it?" Well, we have the Senate. The Senate is the only house that would have power to go against, to judge, to impeach a guy like Moraes. But if the Senate starts moving in that direction, certain folk calls start happening in there, go like, "Okay, if you go down that path, you'll be arrested. If you go down that path, I will investigate you for this and this and this and that."

• 1:42:56Speaker 08

Not even that. They openly said that if any investigation is open against him, they will declare that the investigation is unconstitutional and will be nullified.

• 1:43:06Speaker 06

And the guy who has a power...

• 1:43:07Speaker 08

They openly said that. The court's saying that if anyone investigates them, they will say it's unconstitutional, and they will nullify the investigation.

• 1:43:14Speaker 06

And if we pass a bill that takes away some of their superpowers, they will void this bill as well, because they will consider it unconstitutional.

• 1:43:22Speaker 07

And Gustavo, the guy who has a power to open an investigation in the Senate of Brazil is the president of the Congress. His name is Rodrigo Pacheco. This is an important guy in all of this history. Because if the Senate of Brazil...

• 1:43:41Speaker 07

Makes his paper, we shouldn't leave what we are living today. But like, uh, there's a lot of, um, pedidos impeachment.

• 1:43:50Speaker 08

  Impeachment.

• 1:43:50Speaker 06

  Requirement.

• 1:43:51Speaker 07

Yeah, impeachment requirements. And he does do that. He puts like in the...

• 1:43:57Speaker 08

  He just sit on them?

• 1:43:58Speaker 07

Exactly. He's from my, my, my, my state, Minas Gerais. Uh, and like, he, he doesn't have any popularity. He's not going to run for anything, I think, because he's gonna lose. And, and still, he does do that for us. Nothing. That's, that's really, really sad. So, but what we can do? We can do nothing. We're gonna say to him that to put a requirement for impeachment. The old people came to São Paulo, Rio, asking for impeach, uh, Barroso, impeach Alexandre de Moraes, even though he doesn't do nothing.

• 1:44:34Speaker 08

You know all these people that you saw in São Paulo?

• 1:44:36Speaker 06

  Yeah.

• 1:44:37Speaker 08

Their main thing is, yes, they do support Bolsonaro. But their main ask is for Moraes to be impeached.

• 1:44:44Speaker 07

  Yep.

• 1:44:45Speaker 08

  Isn't that a fair assessment?

• 1:44:47Speaker 06

  Exactly.

• 1:44:47Speaker 07

  Yeah, fair assessment.

• 1:44:48Speaker 06

There are four million, I think it's more than four million signatures now on a, uh, online petition to get Moraes impeached. Four million. That has, that has never happened before with any...

• 1:45:01Speaker 08

  Four million people?

• 1:45:02Speaker 06

Four million people took time to go there, write the form, put your name, email, confirm email, went, go there and sign. I am favor of impeachment of Alexandre de Moraes.

• 1:45:11Speaker 07

This is a nice thing to put on screen. If you can find out...

• 1:45:14Speaker 08

Is it change.org? Is it, what, what is the website?

• 1:45:17Speaker 06

  I don't know if it's...

• 1:45:18Speaker 07

I don't know, but if you...

• 1:45:19Speaker 08

Org? I'll, I'll look it up.

• 1:45:20Speaker 06

  Sit, sit there?

• 1:45:21Speaker 07

No, no, it's not that one. If, if you put Coppola, C.O.P.P.O.L.L.A.

• 1:45:31Speaker 06

  Uh...

• 1:45:32Speaker 07

  Okay?

• 1:45:32Speaker 08

  Moraes impeachment.

• 1:45:33Speaker 07

  Moraes impeachment.

• 1:46:05Speaker 01

Your sausage McMuffin with egg didn't change, your receipt did. The sausage McMuffin with egg extra value meal includes a hash brown and a small coffee for just $5. Only at McDonald's for a limited time.

• 1:46:17Speaker 02

• 1:46:28Speaker 08

  I think it's change.org.

• 1:46:30Speaker 06

  Change.org?

• 1:46:30Speaker 08

  No, it's not. It's, there's another one.

• 1:46:32Patrick Bet-David?

  Four million people.

• 1:46:33Speaker 08

  Yeah.

• 1:46:35Speaker 06

That was from 2021. Look at that. A baixo senado, a petition for morais. It's two million. But it's in Portuguese, right? Yeah, it's in Portuguese. No, but you can click and you can translate it, right? That's 2021. Yeah. We gotta find the link. There's a link there somewhere.

• 1:46:52Speaker 06

  Yeah, anyway.

• 1:46:56Speaker 06

  Where's the link?

• 1:47:00Speaker 06

No, just, just read more. Anyway, in 2021, like two? That's it. Yeah.

• 1:47:07Speaker 06

  That's it.

• 1:47:07Patrick Bet-David?

  Wow.

• 1:47:08Speaker 06

Four million. Oh my God, it's now almost five million. Yeah, almost five. And now, please, go to this link and, and support now.

• 1:47:15Patrick Bet-David?

  Are you?

• 1:47:16Speaker 08

  Almost five million, yeah.

• 1:47:17Patrick Bet-David?

So, but what does this mean, though? Okay, so you get six million signatures. What does it mean?

• 1:47:21Speaker 08

  Nothing.

• 1:47:22Speaker 06

Yeah. It's raising temperature. That's what we've been trying to do all the time. This is why we, we have been coming here. This is our fourth or fifth visit to the United States. Something that I keep talking to the congressman here in the United States is every time the left starts losing in one country, there's a whole network, global network of leftist people that go there and support the left in that country. They will not accept a left losing in a certain country. They have this network to help each other, right? But the conservatives or the right wing people, we are fighting isolated fights. And it's impossible. It's like we're fighting a mammoth of, and, and then when we start to gain, to gain some ground, come Soros and NGOs all over the place and then media and then everywhere come

• 1:48:06Speaker 06

and then puts us back in our place, let's say, right? What we are trying to do, and I think it's actually, we are late, but we need to start doing that, is work together. All the right, the conservatives, clear-minded, reasonable, they don't have to be conservative. You just have to be reasonable. All the reasonable people, the sane-minded people in the world, need to start working together. And Brazil is now an experiment of a new kind of dictatorship. It's not a dictatorship centered in the executive, but it's a dictatorship centered in the judiciary, which gives a certain air of legitimacy, because it's an institution that is giving these decisions to help uphold the democracy and the constitution, when actually it's the opposite.

• 1:48:51Speaker 06

And if it works in Brazil, there will be a perfect manual that will be replicated in other countries. So we have to cut this evil at its roots, and the root now of this evil is Brazil. So we are, we're coming here to tell everyone, "Look, we live in one planet, let's help each other." We are doing our best to get every single Brazilian people, person, here in the United States to vote for Trump. We're trying to explain to everyone, and we have, I don't know-

• 1:49:17Speaker 08

Why is it important for Brazil for Trump to win?

• 1:49:19Speaker 06

Ever since Biden took office and the United States became weak, all the dictator, or the wannabe dictators of the world started popping up. Then we have Maduro wanting to invade Guiana, we had Hamas doing that terrible thing with Israel, Russia invading Ukraine, but why? Because whether you like it or not, you might like the United States, people from all over the world that's watching this, you might like the United States or not, but as long as the United States is the most powerful country, there's a certain balance, it's like, I don't know if it's gonna sound, but it's a good bully. Right? You have the bad bully and the good bully. It's not a perfect country, but when it's the most powerful country, all the other dictators think twice before doing something, invading another country and having a reaction from the United States.

• 1:50:03Speaker 06

Now, when you have an old senile person who can't even read the prompt, make a speech, all the wannabe dictators are like, "Oh, now it's my time. Now it's a time to do what I always wanted to do."

• 1:50:13Speaker 08

The U.S. has been a force for evil. I will make the bold statement- Who has been a force for evil? The United States government. I will make the bold statement that if it wasn't for the Biden administration, Lula wouldn't be the president of Brazil. Okay? Why do you say that? Because-

• 1:50:31Speaker 08

Completely interfered with the Brazilian elections. Not only through their work with the TSE, but also with the threat that I said to the military leaders and politicians in Brazil. Our institutions would take care of Moraes if he wasn't for the support, the blunt and strong support that the Biden administration gave to Moraes. So, and that's what's happening in the foreign policy of the United States. The US used to use its soft power to export democracy. Now he uses the soft power. The number one priority of the Biden administration's foreign policy is LGBT and climate. So it's woke leftist agenda. And that, that's, and Lula is their guy in Brazil, definitely. They didn't want Bolsonaro.

• 1:51:15Speaker 08

Bolsonaro is not a crazy environmental agenda. It's not towards LGBT, it's not towards the woke agenda, definitely. And he was their enemy and they went out of their way to get rid of him. And I don't care. I'm, I'm, I'm not here, I don't care about Bolsonaro and Lula, really, I do not. I think the country needs to make its own decision in a fair election, in a free and fair election. But if you don't have free speech, you don't have anything else. And, and what, the war against free speech is not only in Brazil, it's ongoing in the US. We, we now know for a fact that the Biden administration was working with a social media company to censor speech in America. That's a fact, that's beyond any discussion.

• 1:51:59Speaker 08

We have the documents, we have the emails, at least since last week. So we, we know what's going on in France. You know, Rumble left France. You know, Rumble was kicked out of Russia. You know, China is, let's not even talk about China. You know what's happening in Australia. You know what's happening in Ireland or Germany. So the, the war against free speech is a global thing. And Brazil is just where they have the most power to enforce it.

• 1:52:26Patrick Bet-David?

In December 2023, Rumble blocked access?

• 1:52:29Speaker 08

  To Brazil.

• 1:52:30Patrick Bet-David?

So there is no Rumble in Brazil?

• 1:52:31Speaker 08

No, no logos. Because they ordered to block my account. Among God, I think Rodrigo was part of it as well because Rumble owns Locals. And Rodrigo Constantino was here as well. He was a target of orders against him as well. And Rumble, Chris Pavlovsky, the CEO, said, "I'm not going to comply with it." Ilma said he's going to lift all the restrictions in Brazil as well, but he hasn't made good of his promise yet. But, and the moment he does, he will, Twitter or X, whatever, will be disconnected from Brazil.

• 1:53:05Speaker 06

Lula, actually, there's an ongoing process from Lula people administration to ban Twitter or X from Brazil.

• 1:53:13Speaker 08

  Yeah.

• 1:53:14Speaker 05

But I have a question, sorry, I have a question about that. Imagine the future with the election of Trump. Let me imagine this possibility. If Trump look for that as a trade war against Brazil, looking, imagine Trump saying, "Okay, you are banning an American company in Brazil. Let's going to do the same with the Brazilian companies in US." So, I think...

• 1:53:37Speaker 08

He can do worse things. He used the Magnitsky Act to go against Moraes. He can...

• 1:53:42Speaker 05

He can freeze bank accounts, he can...

• 1:53:44Speaker 08

  Enseal visas.

• 1:53:45Speaker 05

Enseal visas. So this is the kind of pressure that they fear with Trump's election.

• 1:53:51Speaker 06

  Yeah.

• 1:53:52Speaker 08

  They're terrified. They are terrified.

• 1:53:54Patrick Bet-David?

  How do you know that?

• 1:53:55Speaker 08

Well, because of the way, you know, because of the mainstream media.

• 1:53:58Speaker 06

The way they hate Trump and they're doing everything...

• 1:54:01Patrick Bet-David?

If I watch regular TV, regular news in Brazil, what am I hearing every day?

• 1:54:04Speaker 06

Trump is a terrible person, a murderer, a rapist, this kind of things.

• 1:54:08Patrick Bet-David?

  Yes, on regular news.

• 1:54:10Speaker 07

  Yeah, on regular news.

• 1:54:11Speaker 08

  You know MSNBC?

• 1:54:12Speaker 06

He hates the planet, destroy pollution, Islamophobic, Nazi. He's a Nazi because now defending Jews is a Nazi in Brazil. If you defended Jude Israel, you're a Nazi.

• 1:54:26Speaker 07

Like, because these traditional medias, they receive money from the government. And now Lula put like a lot of money, you can research that.

• 1:54:34Speaker 06

  Record value.

• 1:54:35Patrick Bet-David?

  It's ideological.

• 1:54:36Speaker 07

Yes, ideological, right, but money counts a lot too. So they put a lot of money in global, for example. There is the biggest mainstream media in Brazil. And that's why you can't hear the truth. That's why they want so much essential ship or internet.

• 1:54:51Patrick Bet-David?

We're gonna put the link below to all three of you guys. Are you guys more active Twitter or Instagram? Which one is the one you're more active in? Instagram. Instagram or Twitter? Because that's gonna be okay, Rob. Let's put everybody's links below. I just want to say I appreciate you guys for coming down and sitting down and talking. Every time I do, I learn more about what's going on with Brazil. And every time I talk to people, I'm obviously, I'm a guy that lived in Iran. And when Carter became president, for those four years when he was president, Iran was in shambles. The Iranian revolution, when Iran went from being one of the most beautiful countries in the world, under the Shah, to it falling, happened under Jimmy Carter.

• 1:55:37Patrick Bet-David?

And the closest case study we have to Jimmy Carter is Joseph Biden. And again, goes back to what you said, when the president in US is weak, everybody else feels it. I'm in US because of Jimmy Carter. Jimmy Carter is the reason why I'm in US. And he forced a lot of people to leave. We didn't feel safe. And a lot of people around the world right now are feeling it because of weak leadership here. And it's great to see guys like you that have the courage to go out there and speak out. I wish you guys nothing but the best.

• 1:56:09Patrick Bet-David?

When you go back to your, you know, I'm sure you guys got a dinner set up with Alessandro. The moment you guys get in town in Moraes, you guys probably gonna go to a house. Barbecue.

• 1:56:19Patrick Bet-David?

It's actually a pool party, right?

• 1:56:23Patrick Bet-David?

But, and I'm glad that your father is recovering well. And he's fighting and he's out there doing his thing. And losing his passport over chasing after a whale or whatever he's doing with that. Obviously, he seems like a pretty creative, fun guy to be around. Appreciate you guys for coming out. For the people that are following the story, like they said, spread this conversation with others. They want more exposure of this because people need to learn about what's really going on in Brazil. Thanks, guys. Thanks, everybody. Take care. Thank you very much.
