In here, we pour whiskey, whiskey, whiskey, whiskey, whiskey.

• 0:41Speaker 02

Oh, that creature in the ginger beard! It's dirty and ginger. Like vampires, the ginger gene is cursed. Gingers are beautiful. You owe me $5 for the whiskey, $75 for the horse. Gingers, oh hell no. The whiskey is excellent. Ginger. I like gingers.

Hey Joe, sorry, we'll start now. Hi Joe, say hi to my editor Joe, he's in that camera.

• 1:05Speaker 03

  Hello Joe.

• 1:06Andrew Santino?

There it is. Joe is a homophobic anti Semite out of Fall River, Massachusetts.

• 1:11Speaker 03

Well, it is almost Groundhog Day.

• 1:13Andrew Santino?

Which one do you prefer, a homophobe or an anti Semite?

• 1:18Speaker 03

That's a great question. Wow, would you rather?

• 1:23Andrew Santino?

  Yeah, which would you rather?

• 1:24Speaker 03

Hate Edition. I would rather probably a homophobe.

• 1:30Andrew Santino?

  Yeah.

• 1:31Speaker 03

Cause they're dealing with more trauma.

• 1:33Andrew Santino?

  They have stuff going on.

• 1:34Speaker 03

Like anti Semite, you're just insane.

• 1:36Andrew Santino?

  You're insane.

• 1:37Speaker 03

Yeah. Homophobe, you're just like, ah, someone put a finger in my butt once and it's weird.

• 1:42Andrew Santino?

  You're confused.

• 1:43Speaker 03

  Yeah.

• 1:43Andrew Santino?

What about you? I prefer neither is the right answer.

• 1:50Speaker 03

Oh wow, okay. Now, now there's a right answer.

• 1:54Andrew Santino?

To like one of them is nuts.

• 1:55Speaker 03

That is weird. Now, I mean, my god.

• 1:57Andrew Santino?

Ladies and gentlemen, welcome back to Whiskey Ginger. My guest today is one of my favorite people on earth. I say that from like a spending meeting once again today. It's Justin Martindale.

• 2:05Speaker 03

So glad we're making this happen.

• 2:06Andrew Santino?

Probably the greatest lettuce in the game. The kid's got hair.

• 2:10Speaker 03

  It's still.

• 2:10Andrew Santino?

And, and it's gotten a little bit of foxiness to it now.

• 2:14Speaker 03

  You noticed?

• 2:14Andrew Santino?

Little silver foxiness to it, dude? That's great.

• 2:17Speaker 03

  It's a, it's a, a blonde ash.

• 2:19Andrew Santino?

  That's so pretty, dude.

• 2:21Speaker 03

  Yeah.

• 2:21Andrew Santino?

  Can you duck down?

• 2:22Speaker 03

  I felt like, you know.

• 2:23Andrew Santino?

  Yeah, it looks so nice.

• 2:23Speaker 03

I wanted something that kind of like complimented the fires. So I was like, a good, like, white ash. Yeah.

• 2:30Andrew Santino?

The fire, you didn't get affected, right?

• 2:32Speaker 03

  I mean, no.

• 2:34Andrew Santino?

  No displacement for you?

• 2:35Speaker 03

No, we left. I mean, we went to, uh, we went to this beautiful, um, refugee center called Palm Springs.

• 2:42Andrew Santino?

  Oh, yeah.

• 2:43Speaker 03

Um, which was a trip and a half. We just left, cause my mom, you know, I grew up in Texas. And my mom is like one of those like southern moms. And she pulled the ultimate Uno mom card on me.

• 2:56Andrew Santino?

  What was this?

• 2:57Speaker 03

  If you love me.

• 2:58Andrew Santino?

  Oh, God.

• 2:59Speaker 03

You'll leave. And I said, well, all right, let's pack the bags up.

• 3:05Andrew Santino?

  I'm gonna stay right here.

• 3:06Speaker 03

There is no right answer, yeah. Um, and so we, we packed it up, packed the dog and went, uh, to Palm Springs. And like 20 minutes before we got there, they were like Runyon Canyon's on fire.

• 3:17Andrew Santino?

  Yes.

• 3:17Speaker 03

And I was like, oh, well, all right. But in my head, I was kind of like, finally. You know, cause Runyon Canyon, get out of here. Oh, it's the worst canyon.

• 3:27Andrew Santino?

It is the worst of the canyons. Of all the clientele that go there, it does, it bums me out the most.

• 3:32Speaker 03

Just smells like piss and there's.

• 3:34Andrew Santino?

  It's dog piss.

• 3:34Speaker 03

Forty thousand pit bulls off leash. Just Instagram, like, models. I don't want to hear your fucking Bad Bunny, Beat Pill track. I want to hear, I want to hear nature.

• 3:47Andrew Santino?

  Yeah.

• 3:48Speaker 03

I don't need to hear, I'm like, what is this?

• 3:50Andrew Santino?

An Uber. That sounds like you're in an Uber.

• 3:52Speaker 03

Yeah, yeah, yeah. Chili Puerto Rican. I don't eat it. Give them a blanket.

• 3:57Andrew Santino?

It is the worst of all.

• 3:59Speaker 03

  Yeah.

• 3:59Andrew Santino?

It's the worst of the canyon.

• 4:00Speaker 03

So finally, I was like. It's time.

• 4:04Andrew Santino?

  Yeah.

• 4:04Speaker 03

You know? And then, of course, I get the Nextdoor notifications, which just, the best. It's kind of like my adult porn now, where I just said, "Nextdoor app." They're like, "Can we return to Runyon?" I'm like, "Who cares? Just go."

• 4:19Andrew Santino?

Just go, suck in the ash.

• 4:20Speaker 03

  Yeah, suck it in.

• 4:21Andrew Santino?

We got a little bit of rain, you're gonna be fine.

• 4:23Speaker 03

  Oh dude, that rain.

• 4:24Andrew Santino?

  Felt good, huh?

• 4:25Speaker 03

I mean, look at us, just two gentlemen talking about the rain.

• 4:28Andrew Santino?

  Uh huh.

• 4:29Speaker 03

It was a good rain. I made chili yesterday.

• 4:33Andrew Santino?

  You did?

• 4:33Speaker 03

  From scratch.

• 4:34Andrew Santino?

  You made chili?

• 4:35Speaker 03

I made chili. Watched some movies, just did laundry all day. Oh, it was stellar.

• 4:42Andrew Santino?

  How masculine of you.

• 4:43Speaker 03

  Yeah, yeah.

• 4:44Andrew Santino?

  Your mom's from Texas.

• 4:45Speaker 03

  Mm-hmm.

• 4:46Andrew Santino?

  I had a-

• 4:46Speaker 03

Well, my mom's from, uh, Tennessee.

• 4:48Andrew Santino?

  Okay.

• 4:48Speaker 03

  Mississippi, Tennessee.

• 4:49Andrew Santino?

I had a friend, we have a, we have a guy that we know.

• 4:53Speaker 03

  Who, me and you?

• 4:54Andrew Santino?

Yeah, we, you and I know. And his, he was from the south. This story might drum up the memory for you.

• 5:01Speaker 03

  Okay.

• 5:01Andrew Santino?

And when I first met him, um, he, uh, he had told me this story when we had a couple of drinks, that his mom, Southern Belle, sent him away to pray away the gay camp. Do you remember who this is? I'm not gonna say the name. I'll tell you after, if you don't remember.

• 5:15Speaker 03

  I mean, I, I mean, I know several.

• 5:18Andrew Santino?

Oh, well, this one lived in my building. Do you not remember this guy? And we'll move on.

• 5:22Speaker 03

No, no, no, this is fun.

• 5:23Andrew Santino?

But he, but he did a, well, we're not gonna say his name.

• 5:25Speaker 03

  Guess the gay!

• 5:27Andrew Santino?

On this episode of Guess the Gay.

• 5:29Speaker 03

We're gonna pray away the gay, but first, guess who it is?

• 5:32Andrew Santino?

She's, I remember him telling me this vivid story about being sent away to pray away the gay camp, and how like, his mom and dad were really adamant about it. And he was like, "Of course, the biggest joke of all was that you get to this camp."

• 5:43Speaker 03

  Yeah.

• 5:43Andrew Santino?

And it's all other repressed gay kids.

• 5:47Speaker 03

  Mm-hmm.

• 5:47Andrew Santino?

So he's like, "It's just a hookup factory."

• 5:49Speaker 03

  Yeah.

• 5:49Andrew Santino?

  In the woods.

• 5:50Speaker 03

  Yeah.

• 5:50Andrew Santino?

And then the counselors, also gay.

• 5:53Speaker 03

  Oh my god, yeah.

• 5:53Andrew Santino?

Like, the gayest of them all.

• 5:54Speaker 03

And also, a little older for the, the old, uh, the old kids there.

• 5:59Andrew Santino?

  It's insane.

• 6:00Speaker 03

Yeah, I mean, it's like, it's, it's a good, like- Find your way in the forest, kind of a situation.

• 6:06Andrew Santino?

You, you, you met, you knew multiple people that went to this thing? I thought it was like, this sounds mythic. It doesn't sound even real.

• 6:12Speaker 03

No, it's like, it was like a, a big deal. They made a, they made a movie out of it. I mean, several movies.

• 6:16Andrew Santino?

But you knew kids when you grew up that went, got sent away?

• 6:19Speaker 03

Not me, no, no, no, not me personally.

• 6:21Andrew Santino?

Just when you got older, when you met people.

• 6:22Speaker 03

  Yeah, yeah.

• 6:23Andrew Santino?

Because I remember hearing about it and being like, I, I can't, I just don't, it sounds, it sounds like how, look, it sounds like what happens to, what was her name, uh, about the Scientology doc, you're going clear. You know, where you're like, I know it's real, but like, where is all this happening?

• 6:38Speaker 03

  Oh dude.

• 6:39Andrew Santino?

  It's real.

• 6:39Speaker 03

Uh, my fiance and I, we, we moved in, uh, to our building last July. And I remember we went and saw the place and it was just bare bones. It was just like, couch, books on the floor.

• 6:56Andrew Santino?

  Oof.

• 6:57Speaker 03

And we were like, well, the lighting's great. And we were like, are, we were like, did they move out yet? And they're like, no, no, no, they're, you know, they're moving. It's a, it's, it's two girls and they, they live here right now and, and, um, uh, they're gonna move out, you know, when we rent the place. And I was like, this is squalor. What is this?

• 7:14Andrew Santino?

  Very sad.

• 7:15Speaker 03

  Scientologists. We get Scientology mail.

• 7:18Andrew Santino?

  Whoa.

• 7:19Speaker 03

  It's everything.

• 7:20Andrew Santino?

  You gonna join?

• 7:21Speaker 03

  Yes.

• 7:22Andrew Santino?

  Yeah, why not?

• 7:23Speaker 03

But we got like their, the Scientology Christmas card. It's a trip. I don't even like, it's just the weirdest, the weirdest thing.

• 7:30Andrew Santino?

We went, I took a, a family friend of ours looking for an apartment in West Hollywood. She wanted our help and she was like, I don't know where to go. And I kinda, you know, and I was like, I'll come along for the ride. So you're not like duped into some dumb shit or a building that I'm like, don't live over here.

• 7:44Speaker 03

  Yeah.

• 7:44Andrew Santino?

So we're taking her around and, uh, one of the buildings, the guy, for the guy like lied which apartment it was. And then we find out he's the building manager. And then we get in the apartment and I'm like, this is his apartment. Like this is literally his apartment. And the bed was on the floor.

• 7:59Speaker 03

  No.

• 8:00Andrew Santino?

Yeah, dude, it was so creepy.

• 8:01Speaker 03

  It's like a Blumhouse movie.

• 8:04Andrew Santino?

  It was.

• 8:05Speaker 03

  God.

• 8:05Andrew Santino?

Dude, it was so creepy. And it was like, bed on the floor, um, can't, like a lot, too many candles. And then like, all designer clothes on the floor. Nothing was in a closet. Nothing was put away. Like it was a, it was like a crash pad for a. For like a weirdo rich kid. Yeah, it was creepy as fuck. And then within seconds, he's like, what else do you want to see? I was like, nothing, we're leaving.

• 8:25Speaker 03

  Yeah.

• 8:25Andrew Santino?

I'm not gonna fuck it. You're gonna kill. This is where you murder people.

• 8:28Speaker 03

  Yeah.

• 8:28Andrew Santino?

Clearly, I'm not getting in a murder den, have a family friend of ours who's like, manu to LA. She's like, what did you think? I was like, I think you could never ever be, no, don't go, don't go, don't walk past that building ever again.

• 8:38Speaker 03

Yeah, no thanks, Chet Hanks. Get out of here.

• 8:42Andrew Santino?

  Get out of here.

• 8:43Speaker 03

When did you become a landlord?

• 8:44Andrew Santino?

It was so creepy, man. But West Hollywood, I remember looking for apartments all over West Hollywood for the years that I was there. It has the oddest collection of, of, of like, janky, shady, really creepy fucked up shit. Like, I ran into that more than anywhere else in the city, West Hollywood, where I was like, what went on here?

• 9:02Speaker 03

  Oh, yeah, history.

• 9:03Andrew Santino?

What did this used to be, dude?

• 9:05Speaker 03

  Oh, yes.

• 9:05Andrew Santino?

Like, there was a house on, there was an apartment on Fountain, no, I'm sorry, on Hollywood, right before you get to Runyon. I don't know if that's Carson or whatever, it's right there. But I remember walking, I'd walk that way sometimes at night. And they had huge, like floodlight, like, like shooting lights.

• 9:22Speaker 03

  Uh huh.

• 9:23Andrew Santino?

Painted in. And I was like, oh, they gotta be filming something. And I would tell myself this story. Oh, they get there shooting porn on there or something like that.

• 9:28Speaker 03

  Uh huh.

• 9:28Andrew Santino?

You know what I mean? Or it's like a fuckhouse. And then one night, I like peeked over the, over the, the brick. And sure enough, people were in there fucking partying, couple of people like, you know, loose, like, half on, half off clothing. And I was like, oh shit, it is a fuckhouse.

• 9:42Speaker 03

  Yeah.

• 9:42Andrew Santino?

I was like, it really is. In my mind, I thought, it's definitely not, but I'd like to think it is. No, it was, a hundred percent.

• 9:47Speaker 03

I have two friends of mine who have a, a place over in, I think it's, it's around like West Hollywood, maybe like more, kind of by where Toy is on Sunset. And they had this building on their block that was like this giant, like, old style Victorian, like, blue building. And they were like, oh yeah, back in the day, this was like a gay brothel. And I was like, whoa, a gay brothel?

• 10:11Andrew Santino?

How many days ago was this?

• 10:12Speaker 03

This was about a week ago.

• 10:13Andrew Santino?

  Okay.

• 10:14Speaker 03

The fires took up, yeah. No, but it burned down. It was like, it burned down like last year or something. And they were trying to sell it. And then weirdly enough, it burned down.

• 10:22Andrew Santino?

All the furniture was still stuck to the floor. They're like, wow, how is everything so secured in this room?

• 10:26Speaker 03

Designer clothes all over the floor.

• 10:27Andrew Santino?

  A gay brothel.

• 10:28Speaker 03

  Gay brothel.

• 10:29Andrew Santino?

Are there gay brothels now still in West Hollywood?

• 10:30Speaker 03

Probably. Everything terrifies me these days.

• 10:33Andrew Santino?

Don't lie to me. You're my key to everything. You know.

• 10:36Speaker 03

What do you want to know?

• 10:37Andrew Santino?

Back in the day, when we used to go after the store, we had a couple of nights where you took, you took me to, one night, we did an Abbey run. The other night, we did a, um, what's the one next to like the man hole? Not the manhole. What's it, what is it called? Sat- not-

• 10:51Speaker 03

I just wanna keep you guessing. I want you to like try and figure it out.

• 10:54Andrew Santino?

Yeah. Prolapse? Was it called prolapse?

• 10:56Speaker 03

Prolapse, yes. Prolapse Fridays, yeah. It's really good. It's uh, two for one pink socks, yeah. No, it's uh-

• 11:04Andrew Santino?

You guys ready to fucking get lit?

• 11:06Speaker 03

  No, it was uh, uh-

• 11:09Andrew Santino?

I can't remember the name of it, but I can see-

• 11:10Speaker 03

  The manhole?

• 11:11Andrew Santino?

  Isn't that what it's called?

• 11:12Speaker 03

  No, you're thinking of motherload.

• 11:13Andrew Santino?

  Motherload.

• 11:16Speaker 03

  Manhole, close.

• 11:17Andrew Santino?

  The names are so good.

• 11:19Speaker 03

  Yeah, motherload.

• 11:20Andrew Santino?

Gay bars, gay bars get to name the bar, the joke that people say when they're like, we can't name it that. They do.

• 11:25Speaker 03

  Mm-hmm.

• 11:26Andrew Santino?

You know what I mean? Like where everyone would be like, that'd be a funny name for a bar. Gay bars are like, no, no, no, we're gonna, that's what we're gonna call it.

• 11:32Speaker 03

  Yeah, that's, no, that's it.

• 11:32Andrew Santino?

  I love that.

• 11:33Speaker 03

We want it to smell like bleach and cum. And very dim lighting, and uh, you know, pick a safe word when you come in. No, but it was, who would, who did we go with? It was me, you and-

• 11:43Andrew Santino?

  I don't remember, another comic.

• 11:44Speaker 03

  Yeah.

• 11:44Andrew Santino?

It was another comic, but I don't remember who it was. That was a tough night. I disappeared. I remember getting, I had pizza.

• 11:49Speaker 03

  It was Adam Devine?

• 11:51Andrew Santino?

  That sounds right.

• 11:54Andrew Santino?

I don't know why that sounds right, but it does.

• 11:55Speaker 03

  It sounds right.

• 11:56Andrew Santino?

  Maybe that is.

• 11:57Speaker 03

  I think that's, it might've-

• 11:58Andrew Santino?

One of the Adams. It was him or Ray.

• 12:00Speaker 03

  It wasn't Ray.

• 12:01Andrew Santino?

  No, he's scared of it.

• 12:02Speaker 03

  No, he'd be-

• 12:03Andrew Santino?

He's so scared of that world. He'd get too, he'd get too comfortable.

• 12:05Speaker 03

He barely texts me back. Barely, yeah. He's like, just, just, uh, uh, yeah.

• 12:11Andrew Santino?

You know how you text an Android and the texts go green? When I text you, it's all rainbow text every time. I'm like, what is that, dude? Is that a phone that you've got a special phone?

• 12:17Speaker 03

It's profiling, yeah. Oh man, that was, that was a really fun, we were actually talking about that. You brought that up like I think one of the last five, last times I saw you, you were like, it's changed.

• 12:26Andrew Santino?

  It's all changed.

• 12:27Speaker 03

  West Hollywood's changed.

• 12:27Andrew Santino?

West Hollywood has changed, dude. I fall in love with that place.

• 12:29Speaker 03

  I don't really go out.

• 12:30Andrew Santino?

  It stinks.

• 12:31Speaker 03

  Yeah.

• 12:31Andrew Santino?

It's just boring and it's not the same and-

• 12:33Speaker 03

  It's very-

• 12:34Andrew Santino?

I feel like culturally, it died a little bit. It used to have such a, uh- Such like a vibration to that that city. It was like so like fun and alive. I used to love going out at night. Walking home from the store. Seeing all these, seeing all like tons of different kinds of people out and about, getting fucked up, partying. It was so fun. And then years later, I would walk home and it was like depressing and.

• 12:56Speaker 03

It's very, now it's very snobby and dangerous.

• 13:00Andrew Santino?

  It's dangerous now?

• 13:01Speaker 03

  Very dangerous.

• 13:02Andrew Santino?

  What do you mean like?

• 13:03Speaker 03

People getting drugged, people getting robbed, people getting mugged. Oh yeah, they have like, I mean, there's several bars where they have warnings. They pass out like, hey, if you think your drink is spiked, here's a test kit. Like they have like drink test kits at the bar.

• 13:20Andrew Santino?

  So everyone's spiking drinks now?

• 13:21Speaker 03

People are spiking drinks, people are like going to the hospital, like.

• 13:24Andrew Santino?

  These fucking Gen Z's dude.

• 13:25Speaker 03

I got like a cease and desist from a bar.

• 13:27Andrew Santino?

  What?

• 13:28Speaker 03

Yeah, cuz I was doing my neighborhood duty because a friend of mine, um, like went for a happy hour. Her and her girlfriends, just like mom's afternoon and she woke up at Cedars with two black eyes. And she was like, what happened? I just had two drinks. And I posted on my Instagram stories. It was like, hey, this bar, which we can all guess which one it was, not the manhole or prolapse. But um, I I put it in my stories and I was getting just strangers, strangers DMing me. Like this happened to me four years ago.

• 14:07Andrew Santino?

  Wow.

• 14:07Speaker 03

This happened to me. I was I was sexually assaulted on the dance floor. I was taken in the back. I was thrown in a police car. I was crazy shit.

• 14:15Andrew Santino?

And the bar was like, you have to stop doing this.

• 14:18Speaker 03

Well, and it was it was it was weird too because like Tim Dillon like DM'd me and he was just like, dude, I'm so glad you're doing this. And I'm like, yeah, that's well, thank you.

• 14:26Andrew Santino?

  It's good work.

• 14:27Speaker 03

  Thank you, Captain.

• 14:28Andrew Santino?

  Yeah.

• 14:28Speaker 03

And then the bar was like, hey, cease and desist. And I'm like, for my Instagram stories? Like, get out of here.

• 14:35Andrew Santino?

  It's also a real story.

• 14:37Speaker 03

  Real stories.

• 14:37Andrew Santino?

It's like it's a news publish. This you can't like fucking tell the news to not post. It's like, no, dude, that's a thing that happened there. You should know. You should take care of it. That's shady as fuck.

• 14:45Speaker 03

Oh, it's so shady. And they were like, oh, we can't find the. Uh, uh, videotape for that day.

• 14:51Andrew Santino?

  Convenient.

• 14:52Speaker 03

  Get out of here.

• 14:52Andrew Santino?

  Very convenient.

• 14:53Speaker 03

Just never gone. And every time I have friends or people coming into town, I'm like, nope.

• 14:57Andrew Santino?

That's goo- well, good. That's so funny. We can't find the tape. Epstein was here that night.

• 15:01Speaker 03

  Oh, I know, I know.

• 15:02Andrew Santino?

  The cameras were off.

• 15:03Speaker 03

Way to shut the bar down. It was, uh, god, it's just crazy.

• 15:07Andrew Santino?

But that's sad that that used to, because I, like, you know, years ago, when we, when we go out in West Hollywood, it used to feel so like, safe and fun. It was like, nothing, I mean, maybe it was ignorance too.

• 15:16Speaker 03

  Yeah.

• 15:16Andrew Santino?

Maybe it was just like, who cares? We were young and it didn't matter.

• 15:18Speaker 03

Oh, and the kids now, whoa.

• 15:21Andrew Santino?

  What?

• 15:22Speaker 03

Here's the thing. I went to, during, during the fires, when I was in Palm Springs, I just went to like, the bars there.

• 15:30Andrew Santino?

The bar scene out there, yeah.

• 15:31Speaker 03

  Oh, it's just, it's perfect.

• 15:33Andrew Santino?

  In Palm Springs?

• 15:34Speaker 03

Everyone just wants to sit down.

• 15:35Andrew Santino?

  Relax.

• 15:36Speaker 03

  Yeah.

• 15:36Andrew Santino?

  Yeah.

• 15:37Speaker 03

  Like, everyone's in a chair.

• 15:38Andrew Santino?

  Right.

• 15:39Speaker 03

  You know?

• 15:39Andrew Santino?

  No one's under thirty.

• 15:40Speaker 03

No, no, no. Like, like, I opened the door and Lance Bass was coming out and I was like, my king. He was like, Martin, what's up? And I'm like, where are you going? He's like, we're going to some, I don't even remember where he was going. Um, but yeah, I walked in and just, everyone's just like, older and refined. There's just like, old, like, movies on like, a TV screen. I like, looked over, I was like, Nosferatu, good to see you again. You know? But yeah, I just, I like that. I like just, I like sitting.

• 16:11Andrew Santino?

  The rocking chair culture.

• 16:13Speaker 03

Oh, well, that's, that's the southern.

• 16:15Andrew Santino?

Yeah, that's the southern in you.

• 16:16Speaker 03

Cracker Barrel and the gay bars.

• 16:18Andrew Santino?

Hello there, Martin Dan. Welcome back. Is Lance Bass anointed one of the, uh, you know, the British, they, you know, they, they, uh, what do they, uh?

• 16:28Speaker 03

  Knight?

• 16:28Andrew Santino?

Knight you, yeah. Is he knighted in the gay community?

• 16:31Speaker 03

  For sure.

• 16:32Andrew Santino?

  He's knighted.

• 16:32Speaker 03

  Absolutely.

• 16:33Andrew Santino?

Who else is knighted? Who's knighted? And why don't they do that? Why isn't there more knighting?

• 16:38Speaker 03

  I mean.

• 16:39Andrew Santino?

  Why can't we do that?

• 16:39Speaker 03

  I mean, yeah, I mean.

• 16:41Andrew Santino?

Who would be, who would be knighted in your mind?

• 16:44Speaker 03

In, in, uh, in the gay world?

• 16:46Andrew Santino?

  Yeah, who'd be knighted?

• 16:47Speaker 03

I mean, Elton John. I mean, I think he is.

• 16:49Andrew Santino?

  No, he's knighted for real.

• 16:50Speaker 03

He's sir, yeah. I mean, like, Americans?

• 16:52Andrew Santino?

Yeah, us. I don't want to talk about British people.

• 16:54Speaker 03

Gross. Um, I would say Lance. I would probably say like.

• 17:00Andrew Santino?

  Wendy Williams is probably. No?

• 17:03Speaker 03

  Wendy Williams?

• 17:05Andrew Santino?

  Is she not?

• 17:05Speaker 03

She would be, she would be a dame, for sure.

• 17:07Andrew Santino?

  Yeah, I feel like she's a big-

• 17:08Speaker 03

  Dame Wendy Williams?

• 17:09Andrew Santino?

  Right.

• 17:09Speaker 03

Yeah, we're rooting for her, for sure.

• 17:11Andrew Santino?

Is she dying? What is going on? What is it?

• 17:15Speaker 03

She is being held, she recently went on, um, Charlamagne the God's podcast and said that she is in a conservatorship against her will, and she-

• 17:24Andrew Santino?

  Like a Britney Spears thing?

• 17:25Speaker 03

  Kinda, yeah, sorta.

• 17:27Andrew Santino?

Except Britney was her dad? Who is it? Who conserv- who owned her?

• 17:31Speaker 03

  Her dad.

• 17:31Andrew Santino?

  Right.

• 17:32Speaker 03

I thought you asked if Britney was Wendy Williams' dad. And I was like, what? I don't, how much whiskey's going on in here?

• 17:38Andrew Santino?

They do dance a lot, similarly.

• 17:40Speaker 03

Yeah, but Britney was held in a conservatorship.

• 17:42Andrew Santino?

From her father, and then who's conserving Wendy Williams?

• 17:45Speaker 03

  Uh, these two white lawyers.

• 17:47Andrew Santino?

Uh-oh. The whites are at it again.

• 17:50Speaker 03

How you doin'? So, I mean, it is, it is kinda wild, cuz you're just like, damn.

• 17:55Andrew Santino?

  That's so dark.

• 17:56Speaker 03

  Yeah, I mean-

• 17:57Andrew Santino?

Cuz people don't believe her, is that what it is? Like, people are like, are you, that's so fucked up.

• 18:00Speaker 03

And I think it's like a mix of like, just, you know, medication and a little bit of kinda going crazy because of the medication and the alcoholism and all that kinda stuff, but-

• 18:10Andrew Santino?

They keep you medicated, so they, everyone thinks you're crazy.

• 18:13Speaker 03

  Yeah.

• 18:13Andrew Santino?

And then the more they put you in public, and then you get arrested, and then people are like, we can't believe this person, she gets arrested all the time.

• 18:17Speaker 03

  There it is.

• 18:18Andrew Santino?

  Isn't that fucking wild?

• 18:19Speaker 03

  It's weird.

• 18:20Andrew Santino?

  And it's, and it's a real thing, it's-

• 18:21Speaker 03

But also, like, I kinda want that to happen to me one day.

• 18:26Speaker 03

  Like-

• 18:26Andrew Santino?

Who could, who could be your conservator? I, I would, I would do it.

• 18:29Speaker 03

  You would be my conservator?

• 18:30Andrew Santino?

I would do it, and they'd believe me. Like, you need to know what this guy's up to. I catch him at Prolapse every fucking Tuesday. Bust him.

• 18:39Speaker 03

That would be, I know, yeah, it is, it's, I-

• 18:43Andrew Santino?

It is strange, cuz I thought she had a something, I thought she was sick.

• 18:47Speaker 03

Yeah, well, they had that documentary that where she was just like, wah, wah, wah.

• 18:51Andrew Santino?

Right, I was like, oh, she's sick.

• 18:52Speaker 03

Yeah, and then, and then she called in on Charlamagne the God, she called in on, um-

• 18:57Andrew Santino?

Her and Cat Williams should do a thing together.

• 18:59Speaker 03

Uh, Don Lemon, she, Don Lemon interviewed her too, and she sounds like coherent and fine.

• 19:04Andrew Santino?

So, obviously, someone's trying to put her out there looking bad.

• 19:06Speaker 03

Yeah, I think she knows things, if you know what I mean, about a certain-

• 19:09Andrew Santino?

She does, little, little ditty, little ditty, ditty do ya? I think she talked about Diddy a lot in the past, right?

• 19:15Speaker 03

She even, in the interview, she's like, Diddy done, and I was like, damn.

• 19:18Andrew Santino?

Yeah, no, well, he is, there's no doubt about that.

• 19:20Speaker 03

  Yeah.

• 19:21Andrew Santino?

There's no doubt. It's funny that, when I, like, I did it this weekend, I'm so dumb, cuz we were talking about Laura, or someone brought up Celine Dion.

• 19:29Speaker 03

  Laura Peake?

• 19:30Andrew Santino?

  Yeah.

• 19:30Speaker 03

  As she should.

• 19:31Andrew Santino?

Well, I think it was something about, because we were talking about, she comes out to, um, she comes out to Dolly Parton, and then we were, we were talking about these artists that like, still perform as they get older, and they're still as good as they were when they were young, and all that, blah, blah, blah, and then it led to somehow into Celine Dion, and then she said something like, "Oh, I feel so bad," and I was like, "What do you mean, you feel so bad?" Like, I had no idea, and then they're like, "No, she's got this crazy disease," I was like,

• 19:53Speaker 03

  Stiff Person Syndrome.

• 19:54Andrew Santino?

  It's called stiff person syndrome.

• 19:56Speaker 03

  Yeah.

• 19:56Andrew Santino?

I just, do you know this? I just learned this.

• 19:58Speaker 03

  Yeah.

• 19:58Andrew Santino?

This is, that's, see, thank God you're shaking your head.

• 20:00Speaker 03

God, I'm so glad I'm here today.

• 20:01Andrew Santino?

Wait, stiff person syndrome is what it's really called?

• 20:03Speaker 03

  Yeah.

• 20:03Andrew Santino?

When she, when we were talking about, I was like, "That's not a fucking real thing."

• 20:05Speaker 03

  It's a real thing, it's sad.

• 20:08Andrew Santino?

It affects one, I think it said one in one million or more people.

• 20:11Speaker 03

  Yeah.

• 20:11Andrew Santino?

So it's literally one in a million.

• 20:12Speaker 03

  The curse.

• 20:13Andrew Santino?

  Stiff person syndrome.

• 20:14Speaker 03

  Yeah, Celine Dion.

• 20:16Andrew Santino?

  Why?

• 20:17Speaker 03

  Why?

• 20:17Andrew Santino?

Do you think this is government oriented?

• 20:18Speaker 03

  No.

• 20:19Andrew Santino?

  This is, dude?

• 20:20Speaker 03

  No.

• 20:20Andrew Santino?

This is crack in the hood, this is AIDS in the eighties, dude.

• 20:22Speaker 03

Look here, you insurrection piece of shit.

• 20:24Andrew Santino?

  No!

• 20:25Speaker 03

  Look.

• 20:25Andrew Santino?

No, what do you mean, I'm on the other side!

• 20:27Speaker 03

  What happened?

• 20:27Andrew Santino?

I'm saying the government did this!

• 20:28Speaker 03

Yeah, so, uh, yeah, when you shit, when you took a shit in Nancy Pelosi's chair, what was in it?

• 20:34Andrew Santino?

They pardoned me, dude, he just pardoned me.

• 20:35Speaker 03

  Oh, good, good, congratulations.

• 20:37Andrew Santino?

Tom and Jan six dogs, we got out, baby!

• 20:40Speaker 01

  In here, we pour whiskey.

• 20:43Andrew Santino?

• 23:17Speaker 04

One of the things that can trigger it is unexpected or loud noises.

• 23:21Speaker 03

  Yeah.

• 23:21Andrew Santino?

She fucking sings for a living. She puts on shows.

• 23:25Speaker 04

She pounds her chest. Physical touch, change in temperatures, or stressful events.

• 23:29Andrew Santino?

So, just life? That's like saying you're allergic to water. Which, by the way, I think I saw that on one of those strange addiction things. This woman claimed she was allergic to water, so she couldn't, she had to drink like Coke or whatever, and they're like, "That's not a real thing." But then somebody looked it up, there is a real, there is people that are allergic to water.

• 23:46Speaker 03

She's very sensitive, she can't move, she also has seizures. So, if you watch the Celine Dion...

• 23:53Andrew Santino?

  The documentary?

• 23:54Speaker 03

Documentary, which, let me, I know you guys are like straight, so if you're...

• 23:58Andrew Santino?

As far as you know, pal.

• 23:59Speaker 03

  Hey, look, I don't wanna...

• 24:00Andrew Santino?

You know me long enough, dude.

• 24:01Speaker 03

Listen, I heard things, and I don't want your lifestyle down my throat.

• 24:08Speaker 03

Um, but it's a good plane watch.

• 24:12Andrew Santino?

  It is.

• 24:13Speaker 03

  Yeah, good plane watch.

• 24:14Andrew Santino?

I need a good plane watch.

• 24:15Speaker 03

Get a good plane watch. Get a movie. You're like, I'm not gonna watch this at home. Good plane watch. I am Celine. Just get a, get a window seat. So you can just turn towards it and just cry. So the aisle doesn't see you, cuz it's, it's like, it's intense.

• 24:30Andrew Santino?

  It's heavy.

• 24:31Speaker 03

It's crazy. Yeah, she's just like, I was on top of the world and then it all went away, you know?

• 24:36Andrew Santino?

But she still is, right? Isn't she still gonna be super rich and famous and?

• 24:39Speaker 03

She's, I mean, she's Celine Dion. Oh, yeah.

• 24:42Andrew Santino?

What do you do when you get to that level, though? Do you want to keep? See, this is what, what irks me is like, sometimes, don't you wanna ride off into the sunset on top? I don't wanna go out on the other side.

• 24:51Speaker 03

  Yeah.

• 24:51Andrew Santino?

I think like, if everything's, if you're that age, cuz she's gotta be what, sixty?

• 24:56Speaker 03

  Celine Dion, I think she's fifty-seven.

• 24:58Andrew Santino?

  What?

• 24:58Speaker 03

Let me think, can I guess that?

• 24:59Andrew Santino?

  No way, she's sixty-something.

• 25:02Speaker 04

  Fifty-six.

• 25:02Andrew Santino?

  What?

• 25:03Speaker 03

  Fifty-six.

• 25:04Andrew Santino?

  Wait, really?

• 25:05Speaker 03

You, the whole time. You thought she was sixty-seven?

• 25:09Speaker 04

  March thirtieth, nineteen sixty-eight.

• 25:11Speaker 03

  She's a Canadian fifty-six.

• 25:12Andrew Santino?

But the only reason I say that is cuz she's been famous for so long, my mind only assumes.

• 25:15Speaker 03

  Exactly.

• 25:16Andrew Santino?

  She must be much older.

• 25:17Speaker 03

Oh, dude, I thought Maggie Smith was like a hundred and twenty.

• 25:20Andrew Santino?

  No, she's like forty-five.

• 25:21Speaker 03

Always old, right? She was all, I always knew old Maggie Smith. And then they're like, oh, she passed away at ninety-something. I'm like, ninety-something? I thought she was actually on Downton Abbey, like during the time.

• 25:37Andrew Santino?

That's the same thing with, uh, Morgan Freeman. He's been the same age for a hundred years.

• 25:41Speaker 03

It's so weird when you're like, I've always known these people as old.

• 25:45Andrew Santino?

  Old adults.

• 25:46Speaker 03

  Yeah, and they're still around.

• 25:47Andrew Santino?

That's, it is, well, cuz they got famous later in life. Well, not, but, I mean, they became recognizably, like stamped into your, the history books at a certain age. Like, Morgan Freeman with, with Shawshank is how I'll always remember Morgan.

• 26:00Speaker 03

  Yeah.

• 26:00Andrew Santino?

And he kinda looks the same.

• 26:02Speaker 03

  Mm-hmm.

• 26:02Andrew Santino?

Right? And that was how long ago?

• 26:04Speaker 03

  Shawshank, ninety?

• 26:05Andrew Santino?

  Ninety-four?

• 26:06Speaker 03

  Yeah.

• 26:07Andrew Santino?

  That's crazy.

• 26:08Speaker 03

It's a great movie. I saw that movie on an airplane.

• 26:10Andrew Santino?

I mean, you look the same age as when I met you too, though.

• 26:12Speaker 03

  Thank you.

• 26:12Andrew Santino?

No, you literally, it's kinda creepy.

• 26:14Speaker 03

Great, though, when you start getting trolled for, uh... People think you've had like cosmetic work done.

• 26:21Andrew Santino?

Oh, like what? People say that to you?

• 26:23Speaker 03

  Oh, yeah.

• 26:24Andrew Santino?

  Really?

• 26:24Speaker 03

  It is.

• 26:24Andrew Santino?

What do they think you've gotten done?

• 26:26Speaker 03

  Gets me hard.

• 26:27Andrew Santino?

  Brow lift?

• 26:27Speaker 03

  Brow lift, botox.

• 26:30Andrew Santino?

  Right.

• 26:30Speaker 03

  Hair implants.

• 26:32Andrew Santino?

They just troll, and what do you say? No, fuck you?

• 26:34Speaker 03

  No, fuck you.

• 26:34Andrew Santino?

You just say yes to all of them.

• 26:35Speaker 03

  I know.

• 26:36Andrew Santino?

Be like, this BBL is kicking.

• 26:38Speaker 03

I don't want to let them win.

• 26:39Andrew Santino?

  Right.

• 26:39Speaker 03

No, and I'm like, hey, there will come a time where I'm just like, hey, Andrew, it's me. You're like, when did you prolapse, Justin? I'm like, when did I not?

• 26:51Speaker 03

But yeah, it's like, it's, uh, yeah, it's, it's, it's interesting getting older and, and seeing the people get older. There was somebody the other day that I was like, oh, yeah, Jimmy Carter. Like, he passed away at 100, and then like SNL made a joke about him.

• 27:05Andrew Santino?

  What did they say?

• 27:06Speaker 03

They were doing like some sketch, which.

• 27:10Andrew Santino?

  What, no bueno?

• 27:11Speaker 03

  SNL.

• 27:11Andrew Santino?

  Tough for you, huh?

• 27:12Speaker 03

  Woo!

• 27:13Andrew Santino?

They did two sketches this past week. I watch them all the time on YouTube. They did two about podcasting.

• 27:17Speaker 03

  Yeah.

• 27:18Andrew Santino?

Back to back. I was like, that's pretty crazy.

• 27:20Speaker 03

  It was pretty wild.

• 27:20Andrew Santino?

  They hate podcasts.

• 27:21Speaker 03

  Oh, yeah.

• 27:22Andrew Santino?

  We do too, SNL.

• 27:23Speaker 03

Yeah, yeah. But, uh, they did a joke where, uh, they were like in a bungee class and they like went limp on the bungee.

• 27:29Andrew Santino?

I saw it, yeah, I saw it.

• 27:30Speaker 03

Jimmy Carter, and people were like, wait a minute. And I'm like, you know, he was 100 years old.

• 27:33Andrew Santino?

  Yeah.

• 27:33Speaker 03

That's riding off, he, he rode off into the sunset.

• 27:36Andrew Santino?

100%. Well, literally rode, he was in a wheelchair.

• 27:38Speaker 03

  Yeah.

• 27:39Andrew Santino?

They wheel him out in the sun. Remember that picture of them just like putting him in the sun for a minute? That made me so sad.

• 27:43Speaker 03

Did you think he was dead?

• 27:45Andrew Santino?

Yeah, actually, he looked dead. He looked dead. I think they keep him, I think when you're that famous, they keep, they keep you publicly alive until they decide that it's time for you to go.

• 27:54Speaker 03

  Do you watch?

• 27:57Andrew Santino?

  Come on.

• 27:58Speaker 03

Have you ever seen like, uh, like a video, like a, like, not like a Faces of Death or like a?

• 28:02Andrew Santino?

I've seen that, and that was my whole college career.

• 28:04Speaker 03

Yeah, I feel like that was like our generation. It was like.

• 28:06Andrew Santino?

  I love that.

• 28:07Speaker 03

  Yeah.

• 28:07Andrew Santino?

It was so dark. Dude, there's a, there's a Twitter account sometimes that pops up, that's like people moments before they die. And it's always like kids doing parkour on like an 85 foot building, you know, and they're jumping from the 85 story building, I mean.

• 28:19Speaker 03

  And they just miss.

• 28:20Andrew Santino?

And they let go, and then it cuts to black. It's, it's insane. And there was a guy yesterday, or a girl, a guy or a girl on the new, on the, on like, in South America, the. Hangla- uh, their parachute was like spinning around so fast and they just got out of it. I was like, what? No. Go down with it. Like, crash.

• 28:39Speaker 03

Oh, they were like, well, we're gone.

• 28:41Andrew Santino?

Yeah, I was like, no dude.

• 28:42Speaker 04

Did you see the crazy guy punch the restaurant window?

• 28:45Andrew Santino?

Yeah, what was that about? Cut his arm off.

• 28:47Speaker 03

  No way!

• 28:49Speaker 04

  Was gushing so much blood.

• 28:50Andrew Santino?

I don't know why I like watching these things. It's disgusting. I shouldn't watch them, but they, once they come on my For You or my Explorer, I'm always like, I gotta, I wanna watch it.

• 28:58Speaker 03

  I can't look away.

• 28:59Andrew Santino?

Yeah, like there was a woman with her daughter. They almost got hit by a bus.

• 29:01Speaker 03

Isn't that crazy that that's on fucking Twitter now?

• 29:02Andrew Santino?

  That's so gross.

• 29:03Speaker 03

It used to be like, the, like, a VHS tape, like, wrapped in a trash bag and you had to, like,

• 29:09Andrew Santino?

  Yeah, dude.

• 29:09Speaker 03

Go to, go to a friend's house who had it hidden under their house and now it's just like...

• 29:15Andrew Santino?

Don't tell anybody you came over and saw it.

• 29:16Speaker 03

Yeah, let's watch a bear rip a, you know, schoolgirl's throat out. Oh, okay.

• 29:22Andrew Santino?

  Yeah, so, too accessible.

• 29:23Speaker 04

That was where people get their news. It's the same exact place that you're seeing murder every day.

• 29:27Speaker 03

  The one of my favorites.

• 29:28Andrew Santino?

It's creepy. Yeah. Give me your favorite.

• 29:31Speaker 03

Is like, the Anne Heche video.

• 29:34Andrew Santino?

What is that? Oh, where she crashes her car?

• 29:36Speaker 03

She, well, she crashes her car.

• 29:38Andrew Santino?

  I remember seeing that.

• 29:39Speaker 03

And then they get her out.

• 29:40Andrew Santino?

Oh, right. And she like gets up.

• 29:41Speaker 03

And she, they, she unzips the bag and she's like, "Braaah!"

• 29:45Andrew Santino?

  Cause she was alive still.

• 29:46Speaker 03

Something. And then like she passed away in the hospital. It's terrifying.

• 29:50Andrew Santino?

The same conservators of Wendy Williams were there on the scene.

• 29:52Speaker 03

  Yeah.

• 29:53Andrew Santino?

  They were zipping it up.

• 29:54Speaker 03

Every time I watch that, I edge so hard.

• 29:58Andrew Santino?

That's insane. It is true, dude, it is, it is funny how much dark shit is on the internet. And also, I learned over the weekend to block Meta and Facebook.

• 30:08Speaker 03

  Oh, were you doing that?

• 30:09Andrew Santino?

I blocked it on all my...

• 30:10Speaker 03

  Look at you, dad.

• 30:11Andrew Santino?

Well, because the kids said to do it.

• 30:14Speaker 03

  Oh.

• 30:14Andrew Santino?

They said, "Do you notice your FYP is different?" And so my Explorer and all that other stuff looked, it stiff, stuff was in there that I'm like, "I never click on this kinda shit."

• 30:22Speaker 03

  Mm-hmm.

• 30:23Andrew Santino?

And then it immediately changed. Like, now when I open it up, it's, it's all what it always was before, which is just like, car videos, uh, um, like a, uh, a, a, a very violent interaction.

• 30:37Andrew Santino?

There's always like a crazy like fight or like a, there's always like a bar fight or like bouncer throws guy out.

• 30:42Speaker 03

Oh yeah, those are fun. Those are fun. Yeah.

• 30:44Andrew Santino?

It's the same, it's like that, it's returned to its old, by the way.

• 30:46Speaker 03

Wait, are we looking at FYP?

• 30:47Andrew Santino?

Open your explorer, I wanna see what's on.

• 30:49Speaker 03

  Wait, is it Instagram or?

• 30:50Andrew Santino?

I do, well both. You can do both. Your explore page or your FYP, whatever is on your for you.

• 30:54Speaker 03

  Wait, TikTok FYP or what?

• 30:56Andrew Santino?

TikTok, TikTok give me your for you. Like what is it? Okay, this one is.

• 31:00Speaker 03

I don't even know if I've looked at my for you.

• 31:02Andrew Santino?

This is, look at this. Car, car, car, car. Uh, monkeys moving an alligator across the street. Golf, golf, car, Bobby Lee. Gross.

• 31:12Speaker 03

  Sick.

• 31:14Andrew Santino?

Car, car, look at how many cars, it's all cars, it's all cars.

• 31:16Speaker 03

So let's see, I'm gonna go to my Instagram like the.

• 31:19Andrew Santino?

  Give me your explore.

• 31:20Speaker 03

  Okay.

• 31:21Andrew Santino?

  Yeah.

• 31:23Andrew Santino?

  What is it?

• 31:24Speaker 03

  Oh no.

• 31:26Andrew Santino?

Oh god, give it to me.

• 31:28Speaker 03

  Uh. Hmm.

• 31:31Andrew Santino?

Tell me, don't be shy right now dude.

• 31:33Speaker 03

Naked guy with feet around his neck.

• 31:38Speaker 03

  Um, Sofia Vergara.

• 31:40Andrew Santino?

  Okay.

• 31:41Speaker 03

Um, guy in towel. Tim Meadows. Uh.

• 31:46Andrew Santino?

  Tim Meadows?

• 31:47Speaker 03

Yeah, you know, everyone has their kink.

• 31:49Andrew Santino?

  Okay.

• 31:49Speaker 03

Let's see, um, uh, oh, we, this one's always fun. The, uh, the, the dong flopping in the, aggressively in the shorts.

• 31:57Andrew Santino?

  Yeah.

• 31:58Speaker 03

  Um.

• 31:58Andrew Santino?

  Seen that.

• 31:59Speaker 03

  Let's see. Theo Von, weird.

• 32:02Andrew Santino?

That kinda pairs up with the dong flopping in the shorts.

• 32:04Speaker 03

  It's actually Theo Von.

• 32:05Andrew Santino?

  Yeah, that's him.

• 32:06Speaker 03

Wow, yeah. At the inauguration flopping his dick.

• 32:09Andrew Santino?

Yeah dude, I was flopping in front of Trump dude.

• 32:11Speaker 03

  Uh, let's see. Shark fin.

• 32:15Andrew Santino?

What the fuck is that? What do you mean, just a shark's fin?

• 32:17Speaker 03

Yeah, just, yeah, it's just a big female great white.

• 32:22Andrew Santino?

You do have weird kinks man.

• 32:23Speaker 03

I got weird shit. Well, it's also like you click or like if it, if it gets in and you watch it a certain amount of time, then it's like, this is what you want. Like, this is, uh, oh, I also have one called Fat Girls. Oh, and it's also like really mediocre, uh, stand-up comedy.

• 32:39Andrew Santino?

  See, I don't see, I don't have any stand-up on mine.

• 32:41Speaker 03

  Wicked, pecs, muscles, yeah.

• 32:45Andrew Santino?

  Did you see Wicked?

• 32:46Speaker 03

  The movie, yeah.

• 32:47Andrew Santino?

  You liked it?

• 32:48Speaker 03

It was okay, yeah. Did you like it?

• 32:50Andrew Santino?

  I didn't see it.

• 32:52Speaker 03

  You haven't seen it?

• 32:52Andrew Santino?

  It gave me anxiety.

• 32:53Speaker 03

You gave me like a squint, like, what did, like, you're thinking about it.

• 32:57Andrew Santino?

Because everyone's talking about it, so it's funny, I'm gonna wait till it's all dissipated, all the hype, and then see it.

• 33:03Speaker 03

Well, you know it's not going to. There's a part two coming out.

• 33:06Andrew Santino?

  Oh, really?

• 33:07Speaker 03

  Oh, yeah.

• 33:07Andrew Santino?

  Oh, fuck.

• 33:08Speaker 03

  Where have you been?

• 33:09Andrew Santino?

Guess what, I'll never see it now. If they make a part two and I haven't seen the part one, I just give up.

• 33:13Speaker 03

Yeah, actually, I would just start with part two.

• 33:15Andrew Santino?

And just not do part one?

• 33:16Speaker 03

Well, it just gets there, it ends quicker, you know?

• 33:19Andrew Santino?

Do you think it's, you think it's, you think it's worthy of less Oscars than Amelia Perez?

• 33:24Speaker 03

What a wonderful topic of discussion.

• 33:27Andrew Santino?

Did you, did you watch Amelia Perez?

• 33:28Speaker 03

  No, did you?

• 33:29Andrew Santino?

No, but I feel like we're supposed to now.

• 33:30Speaker 03

  No one has seen!

• 33:31Andrew Santino?

  We should.

• 33:32Speaker 03

  This movie!

• 33:33Andrew Santino?

  You haven't seen it either?

• 33:34Speaker 03

  No!

• 33:34Speaker 04

  It doesn't look good.

• 33:35Andrew Santino?

  Thirteen nominations.

• 33:36Speaker 03

Thirteen, it's up there with like The English Patient.

• 33:39Andrew Santino?

  It's more than The Godfather.

• 33:40Speaker 03

God, like, like, I, I'm baffled by it, I, I, and it's one of those movies where I keep telling myself, like, "I'm gonna do it." And then I'm like, "Ehhhh."

• 33:51Andrew Santino?

  Can't do it.

• 33:52Speaker 03

  I, I just don't, and it's no, I just don't, I don't care!

• 33:57Andrew Santino?

  Do you even like musicals?

• 33:59Speaker 03

  Ish.

• 34:00Andrew Santino?

  Ish, right.

• 34:00Speaker 03

  Ish.

• 34:01Andrew Santino?

It's got, the music's gotta be fucking good.

• 34:02Speaker 03

It's gotta be good, but then I think I saw that clip of like,

• 34:06Andrew Santino?

"I'd like to know about sex operations."

• 34:08Speaker 03

  That one.

• 34:09Andrew Santino?

"Okay, okay, okay." I've seen it a million times.

• 34:11Speaker 03

  "Vaginoplasty, we can do that."

• 34:13Andrew Santino?

  It's so weird.

• 34:14Speaker 03

It's like, it's like, is this South Park? Like, what is this?

• 34:16Andrew Santino?

I did, it did seem like South, South Park couldn't even dupe that.

• 34:19Speaker 03

"I want a labia majora and a minora." "I want a clitoral special."

• 34:25Andrew Santino?

A labia majora and a minora, they're just spinning a minora while they're doing sex change operations?

• 34:29Speaker 03

  "Where is my clitoral hood?"

• 34:30Andrew Santino?

By the way, they're going to do a, a version of The Godfather, they're remaking it with the same storyline, that he makes him an offer he can't refuse, and it's to transition, and that's how he gets in the family. I'm gonna make them enough for a care of you. You got a transition, you wanna stay in the family?

• 34:45Speaker 03

They're doing it to Scarface, say hello to my little friend. Yep.

• 34:49Andrew Santino?

I do wanna see it only cuz I wanna see why people hate it so much.

• 34:53Speaker 03

  I, but do they? I don't understand.

• 34:54Andrew Santino?

Yeah, the internet doesn't like it at all. I mean, the kids, the kids don't like it. Anybody like his age, it's like mid twenties, they hate it. They absolutely hate it.

• 35:01Speaker 03

  Why do you hate it?

• 35:02Speaker 04

I think just the Oscars are out of touch.

• 35:04Andrew Santino?

  Out of touch.

• 35:05Speaker 04

They've been out of touch for a long time, but.

• 35:06Speaker 03

  I agree.

• 35:07Speaker 04

There are a lot of movies that kinda got snubbed, like Margaret Qualley got snubbed for, uh, the substance.

• 35:12Speaker 03

Does anybody have told you you look like Margaret Qualley?

• 35:15Andrew Santino?

  That's her son.

• 35:16Speaker 03

  Who?

• 35:17Andrew Santino?

  That's her son.

• 35:18Speaker 03

  No, it's not.

• 35:19Andrew Santino?

  That's Margaret Qualley's son.

• 35:20Speaker 03

  The whole time?

• 35:21Andrew Santino?

  This nepotism at its finest.

• 35:22Speaker 03

  You're Annie McTell's son?

• 35:24Speaker 04

  Grandson.

• 35:25Andrew Santino?

  Grandson.

• 35:26Speaker 03

  What?

• 35:27Andrew Santino?

  No.

• 35:27Speaker 03

  Are you fucking with me?

• 35:28Andrew Santino?

Yeah, dude, he's in, no, he's in.

• 35:29Speaker 03

  I totally believe you.

• 35:30Andrew Santino?

  I know, I know.

• 35:31Speaker 04

But also, my, my, my grandma's, uh, maiden name is Qualley, spelled in the same way. So when we, when I was watching Once Upon a Time.

• 35:38Andrew Santino?

Let's do 23 and me for you, dude.

• 35:39Speaker 04

When I was watching Once Upon a Time with, uh, in Hollywood with my parents, and now credits are rolling, my mom was like, oh, Qualley, that's, that's my mom's maiden name.

• 35:46Speaker 03

  So, her dad.

• 35:46Andrew Santino?

Wait, what if we just figured this out right now?

• 35:48Speaker 03

  Huh?

• 35:48Andrew Santino?

What if we just figured this out right now? You're actually related to her.

• 35:50Speaker 04

  That would be wild.

• 35:51Speaker 03

  Well, it's her dad.

• 35:53Andrew Santino?

It would explain why you got so far so fast in Hollywood.

• 35:56Speaker 03

Cuz you have the same, like, like, soft face.

• 36:00Andrew Santino?

  Yeah.

• 36:00Speaker 03

But like, yeah, I love it, he's like, you're right, keep going.

• 36:03Andrew Santino?

  But he, yeah, no.

• 36:04Speaker 03

  The blue piercing eyes.

• 36:05Andrew Santino?

To be honest, right now, he needs the ego boost, he's feeling a little low.

• 36:08Speaker 03

That's why I'm here, that's, that's why he called me, that's why he called me today. This isn't just a podcast, you're like, we need to help.

• 36:12Andrew Santino?

  We need help.

• 36:13Speaker 03

  Yeah.

• 36:13Andrew Santino?

He did this thing today where he said, you know, like, he's in his twenties, he lives alone. And I felt it this morning when he was like, I've just been a little bit depressed. And what's funny is, I do remember those days, when you are living alone, you do go through that, like, I'm a little, maybe I'm too much of a recluse and I'm a little sad right now, and then you go out and it just doesn't satisfy you. There's something about it that you get really, like, anxious, you're like, am I single and alone and sad, or am I?

• 36:37Speaker 03

But then you gotta, like, suck it up and remind yourself, you're not a pussy.

• 36:40Andrew Santino?

  You're not a pussy. You're not a pussy.

• 36:42Speaker 03

No, I mean, I think your twenties are a good time to, like, Figure out depression.

• 36:47Andrew Santino?

But it is weird when you live alone for the first time.

• 36:49Speaker 03

  Oh, yeah.

• 36:49Andrew Santino?

You do get a little, it does fuck you up sometimes at night.

• 36:52Speaker 03

You're like, now what? I have to go buy groceries to keep myself alive?

• 36:55Andrew Santino?

  Gross.

• 36:55Speaker 03

  Oh, get out of here.

• 36:56Andrew Santino?

And it's too quiet at night.

• 36:57Speaker 03

I have to shower? For who?

• 36:58Andrew Santino?

It's quiet. It's very quiet. It's very quiet at night when you're alone. And that white noise machine, you can even hear the echoes in the white noise machine. You're alone. You suck. Fuck you.

• 37:08Speaker 03

  Yeah.

• 37:09Andrew Santino?

  Not good.

• 37:10Speaker 03

You start talking to the leaves brushing up against your window.

• 37:13Andrew Santino?

  Jump.

• 37:13Speaker 03

  Yeah.

• 37:14Andrew Santino?

Jump. It'll be over real quick.

• 37:18Andrew Santino?

I promise. It only hurts me a little bit.

• 37:22Andrew Santino?

  Man kills himself.

• 37:23Speaker 01

  In here, we pour whiskey.

• 37:26Andrew Santino?

• 40:15Speaker 03

Back to the Oscars. I do, I think, it's interesting because there was a clip that came up about the biggest disappointments in Oscar history and how the Oscars kind of...

• 40:30Speaker 03

Award people, they were like, ah shit, we should have given it to like.

• 40:35Speaker 04

Make up awards and stuff like that, yeah.

• 40:37Speaker 03

Well, like for instance, they said Renee Zellweger shouldn't won, shouldn't have won for Cold Mountain because everyone thought she was gonna win for Chicago. And they were like, oh, she lost. I forgot who won, uh, instead. I don't remember. But anyways. Um, so they gave it to her for Cold Mountain. So it's very like,

• 40:56Speaker 03

whatever, but at the same time, I feel like this Oscars especially, there were so many people who were snubbed. You know what I mean? They're like, oh, Angelina didn't get nominated. Nicole Kidman didn't get nominated.

• 41:09Speaker 04

Challengers didn't get nominated for score.

• 41:11Speaker 03

  Who?

• 41:12Speaker 04

Challengers didn't get nominated for best score.

• 41:13Speaker 03

Yeah, Challenge, which was a great score.

• 41:15Speaker 04

  It was so good.

• 41:16Andrew Santino?

But what does it matter? See, this is what's weird. We're entering a new time when it's like,

• 41:19Speaker 03

  Who cares?

• 41:20Andrew Santino?

  It's not as meaningful.

• 41:21Speaker 03

  Yeah.

• 41:22Andrew Santino?

And it's only not as meaningful because they've lost their, the pulse. So like, it, it just takes away from whatever weight it might have had culturally and in the actual industry.

• 41:32Speaker 04

It still affects box office numbers, but not as much as it did in the nineties.

• 41:35Andrew Santino?

I know, but fucking Emilio Perez made 11 million dollars. The budget was 25.

• 41:38Speaker 03

  Yeah.

• 41:39Andrew Santino?

They lost their ass. They prob, they literally probably lost 30 million dollars.

• 41:42Speaker 03

But it's art and it's culturally of the time.

• 41:45Andrew Santino?

  I don't know, man.

• 41:46Speaker 03

And you're like, okay, cool. But like Wicked won for best box office at the Golden Globes, which is a new category.

• 41:52Andrew Santino?

  Yeah, but Wicked made.

• 41:52Speaker 04

  That's such a stupid category.

• 41:53Speaker 03

  Oh, Wicked was like everything.

• 41:54Andrew Santino?

Wicked made a billion dollars. Didn't it make a billion dollars?

• 41:56Speaker 04

The money, the money's enough. Why do you need an award?

• 41:58Andrew Santino?

  No, no, no.

• 41:59Speaker 03

  It's ego.

• 42:00Andrew Santino?

  Give it to him, dude.

• 42:00Speaker 03

  It's, it's, it's, it's history. It's, you know, it's Hollywood, but it's also.

• 42:05Andrew Santino?

  You want to get stamped.

• 42:06Speaker 03

Yeah. But I also, this is what kind of pisses me off too about the Oscars. It's like, you know, they're like, oh, Selena Gomez got snubbed and da, da, da, da. I'm like, Pamela Anderson got snubbed and Pamela's just like, hey, I'm, I'm sorry. I didn't think in a million years that me, Pamela Anderson would ever be nominated for an Oscar.

• 42:23Andrew Santino?

I saw her documentary. It was good.

• 42:25Speaker 03

The, no, not the documentary, The Last Showgirl, about her being the Las Vegas showgirl.

• 42:30Andrew Santino?

No, I just saw a documentary about her. She's got a documentary out.

• 42:32Speaker 03

When she's like at her house with her kids?

• 42:34Andrew Santino?

Yeah, it's great. It's fantastic. Yeah. It was rad that she was just like, eh, fuck it all.

• 42:37Speaker 03

  Yeah, she's awesome.

• 42:38Andrew Santino?

  That's cool.

• 42:39Speaker 03

Um, but then I'm like, why are we, why are we overshadowing the first time nominees?

• 42:44Andrew Santino?

  Yeah.

• 42:45Speaker 03

There's a whole bunch of people who've never been nominated before and they're like, oh, okay. But Angelina Jolie, she wasn't nominated. That means Brad Pitt hates her. It's just like, get out of here.

• 42:54Andrew Santino?

It's almost more rad to never get nominated. There's something about it that's like, if you can float your way through the game, be good and never get nominated, it's kinda rad.

• 43:01Speaker 03

  Demi Moore?

• 43:02Andrew Santino?

  Never been nominated, huh?

• 43:03Speaker 03

  For anything.

• 43:04Andrew Santino?

  Whoa, that's tight.

• 43:05Speaker 03

  Anything.

• 43:06Andrew Santino?

That makes me like her so much more.

• 43:07Speaker 03

  She's the hottest thing.

• 43:09Andrew Santino?

That's so cool to never get nominated.

• 43:12Speaker 03

I, uh, I hooked up with a guy once and, uh, we were at a house and, uh, Demi Moore FaceTimed him. And he was like, this is, this is Justin. And I'm like, no, not like this. And it was like,

• 43:23Andrew Santino?

  What?

• 43:24Speaker 03

  Yeah.

• 43:24Andrew Santino?

You hooked up with Ashton Kutcher?

• 43:25Speaker 03

  Yeah.

• 43:26Andrew Santino?

  That's crazy.

• 43:26Speaker 03

Yeah, it was wild. It was just, yeah. It was so seventies.

• 43:30Andrew Santino?

He's like, you got punked, Justin, you're just sucking his cock.

• 43:33Speaker 03

  I'm like, whoa, whoa, whoa.

• 43:36Speaker 03

I'm gonna sign up for this. Uh, no, it was just like, it was some, it was a, a, a friend of hers and, uh, she was like, what are you doing? He's like, heh, heh. And I'm like,

• 43:48Speaker 03

just like a meerkat. And, uh, she was like, oh my God, look at you. And I'm like, this is not the way I wanted to, uh, see Demi Moore.

• 43:56Andrew Santino?

Isn't that funny that sometimes you meet people, you're like, I didn't wanna meet you like this.

• 43:59Speaker 03

I don't wanna meet you like this.

• 44:00Andrew Santino?

It is so funny. I hate that.

• 44:01Speaker 03

I'm like the lady in, uh, The Matrix, not like this.

• 44:03Andrew Santino?

Not like this, yeah. I have met people through friends, like, that, and I maybe I'm a fan of them or something. And I'm like, I don't wanna meet you here like this. I feel like, I look like shit. I'm drunk, I'm fat. And I was like, I don't want you to think like this is me.

• 44:18Speaker 03

This is me on the, on a regular basis.

• 44:20Andrew Santino?

  No, I'm on a bender.

• 44:22Speaker 03

Yeah, I'm just, it's a cry for help.

• 44:24Andrew Santino?

  It's a cry for help.

• 44:25Speaker 03

I'm not in my twenties talking to insects in my room.

• 44:29Andrew Santino?

He is dude, but don't put that in his head. Now he's like, I should get some bugs.

• 44:32Speaker 03

  Yeah.

• 44:33Andrew Santino?

I should get some bugs at the house.

• 44:34Speaker 03

Get an ant farm, just a casual ant farm, bring it back.

• 44:36Andrew Santino?

Or dude, I've said this, get a cat. Cause you don't need to be home all the time.

• 44:39Speaker 03

  Yeah.

• 44:40Andrew Santino?

Just get a cat, it'll be there or something.

• 44:42Speaker 03

  And when you kill yourself.

• 44:43Speaker 04

  I'm allergic to cats.

• 44:43Speaker 03

Well, when you kill yourself in your apartment, they'll eat you.

• 44:46Andrew Santino?

Yeah, they eat you. They clean up for you.

• 44:47Speaker 03

  Yeah.

• 44:48Andrew Santino?

  You are allergic to cats?

• 44:50Speaker 04

I'm allergic to some cats. I've dated some people that have had cats.

• 44:52Andrew Santino?

Drive me nuts dude, you fucking piss me off all the time. It's crazy how much I love you. You don't have any fucking bullshit allergies, do you?

• 44:58Speaker 03

  No!

• 44:59Andrew Santino?

  Yeah, see? Adults.

• 45:00Speaker 03

  Yeah.

• 45:01Andrew Santino?

It is weird that like, our generation had no allergies.

• 45:04Speaker 03

  Yeah.

• 45:04Andrew Santino?

And everyone has all of them. What is that?

• 45:07Speaker 04

Cause we're just given poison all our lives.

• 45:09Andrew Santino?

We've been given, we do, we start, we started the poison revolution.

• 45:11Speaker 03

  Yeah.

• 45:11Speaker 04

  We had better poison, obviously.

• 45:13Speaker 03

We drank unfiltered water from a hose.

• 45:15Andrew Santino?

  Hose water.

• 45:16Speaker 03

  Hose water.

• 45:16Speaker 04

  It made you stronger.

• 45:18Andrew Santino?

I guess it did. When I think about all the bullshit that we ingested as kids, I'm like, I guess maybe it was better than to be, than to be more chemically processed.

• 45:25Speaker 03

Pop Rocks, like all, like what else was poisonous?

• 45:28Andrew Santino?

Pop Rocks, Pop Rocks was for sure chemical, just really chemical poison.

• 45:31Speaker 03

  Ecto Cooler?

• 45:32Andrew Santino?

  Yeah, that's so bad.

• 45:34Speaker 03

It was like neon green liquid.

• 45:35Andrew Santino?

Do you remember Jolt Cola? Do you remember that?

• 45:37Speaker 03

  Jolt Cola, yeah, absolutely.

• 45:38Andrew Santino?

Do you know what that is? It had like a hundred grams of sugar and it said like four times the caffeine. I remember there was outside of a store in a strip mall on the way home from my, from junior high, we'd go like, go there and grab something to drink or eat on the walk home. It had a sign that said, four X the caffeine.

• 45:53Speaker 03

  Yeah.

• 45:54Andrew Santino?

I was like, you do, there's no way you need four times the caffeine of a Coke.

• 45:56Speaker 03

Absolutely. I mean, now it's like, what, what, I mean, what's the equivalent of that? I feel like it's.

• 46:01Andrew Santino?

Well, everyone drinks Red Bull now.

• 46:02Speaker 03

  But like.

• 46:04Andrew Santino?

Red Bull is, Red Bull is like.

• 46:05Speaker 03

  Monster.

• 46:06Andrew Santino?

  Monster, yeah.

• 46:07Speaker 03

  Yeah.

• 46:07Andrew Santino?

Or what's the other fit, what's the biggest one?

• 46:09Speaker 03

  Uh, Celsius.

• 46:10Andrew Santino?

Celsius is new. That's like the hot one. That's like the fucking, but Celsius is supposed to be, is it like, it's, people like it cause it's fruit juice? Is that what it is?

• 46:18Speaker 03

I don't know. It's, I'm like, does, they're like, oh, this can of shit helps burn fat. I'm like, okay, how? I wanna know.

• 46:25Andrew Santino?

Just start the Ozempic. Bobby got on the Ozempic.

• 46:27Speaker 03

  Oh.

• 46:28Andrew Santino?

He's riding high on that. It's gonna kill everybody.

• 46:30Speaker 03

  Bobby's on Ozempic?

• 46:32Andrew Santino?

Yeah. He's on the other one. What's the other one? We say it.

• 46:34Speaker 03

  Manjaro?

• 46:34Andrew Santino?

Yeah, yeah. Yeah, one of those.

• 46:35Speaker 03

They all have songs. Have you noticed that?

• 46:37Andrew Santino?

  Oh, yeah, they do.

• 46:38Speaker 03

Oh, oh, oh, Ozempic. That one, and then the, uh, Wigovy, nobody's gonna turn it on.

• 46:45Andrew Santino?

  That's what he's on. He's on Wigovy.

• 46:46Speaker 03

That's from, uh, that's from The Greatest Showman. This is me.

• 46:50Andrew Santino?

They stole the, they stole that and put it on Wigovy? They should've just done all those, uh, medical songs, all those, uh, prescription songs in Amelia Perez.

• 46:58Speaker 03

They, they probably are in there.

• 46:59Andrew Santino?

  Yeah.

• 47:00Speaker 03

But I wanna do Manjaro, like Espresso by Sabrina Carpenter.

• 47:03Andrew Santino?

  Let me hear it.

• 47:05Speaker 03

Think about me, think about you, yeah, I'm on that Manjaro. It totally works.

• 47:10Andrew Santino?

  That is, that really does.

• 47:11Speaker 03

I want a percentage of that.

• 47:13Andrew Santino?

Do we really like Sabrina Carpenter a lot?

• 47:14Speaker 03

  Oh, absolutely.

• 47:14Andrew Santino?

  We like her a lot?

• 47:15Speaker 03

Oh, absolutely. Yeah, the Grammys are on.

• 47:17Andrew Santino?

She's one of those I haven't been sunk by yet. I've been sunk by a lot of the new kids. Like, I get into some of these.

• 47:22Speaker 03

  What do you mean sunk?

• 47:22Andrew Santino?

  I'm not buying it yet.

• 47:24Speaker 03

  What do you mean?

• 47:24Andrew Santino?

I just don't like it as much as people like it.

• 47:26Speaker 03

  Wow, what a concerned customer.

• 47:28Andrew Santino?

It's fine. I just, I'm not, I, he knows, dude, like, my, dude, he knows. My, my Chapel Rohn, I'm on her. I think she's fucking number one.

• 47:35Speaker 03

  She's badass.

• 47:35Andrew Santino?

But I tried to get into, uh, Sabrina Carpenter. I tried to listen to her a little bit, and I just, I can't, it's not gonna get me. It's not gonna get me. I don't know why it's not gonna get me.

• 47:43Speaker 03

Who, uh, what guys do you like? Guys, singers?

• 47:46Andrew Santino?

Um, what do I like? He knows.

• 47:48Speaker 03

  What do I like?

• 47:50Andrew Santino?

He knows, he really knows more than.

• 47:51Speaker 03

  Ask my son.

• 47:52Andrew Santino?

Cause, cause he knows if I'll go, I don't like that, that is, that sounds okay.

• 47:55Speaker 03

  Okay.

• 47:56Andrew Santino?

  What do I like?

• 47:56Speaker 03

  Benson Boone?

• 47:57Andrew Santino?

I don't know who that is.

• 47:58Speaker 03

  What?

• 47:59Speaker 04

I feel like you, more of it is hip-hop if you're playing men, but if you are playing girls, it's Chapel Rohn.

• 48:03Andrew Santino?

It's Chapel Rohn for a younger, for like, new, young generation.

• 48:06Speaker 03

  Uh huh.

• 48:07Andrew Santino?

You know who I really love? Lola Young. I think she's the fucking shit.

• 48:10Speaker 03

I don't know who. I don't know who that is.

• 48:11Andrew Santino?

Cause I got high again, I forgot to whom I close.

• 48:14Speaker 03

She sings Cause I Got High, like Afro Man?

• 48:16Andrew Santino?

  You don't know this?

• 48:17Speaker 03

No. Are we just sampling something?

• 48:18Andrew Santino?

Cause I'm too messy, and then I'm too fucking clean.

• 48:21Speaker 03

And then I want not clear to real hood.

• 48:23Andrew Santino?

  You don't know the song?

• 48:24Speaker 03

  No.

• 48:25Andrew Santino?

  Whoa!

• 48:25Speaker 03

I don't know who that is.

• 48:26Andrew Santino?

  You know this song?

• 48:26Speaker 03

  Or maybe I do.

• 48:27Speaker 04

I mainly know her from the Tyler, the Creator song she's on.

• 48:29Andrew Santino?

  That's a banger too?

• 48:30Speaker 03

Who's the guy, who's the like, the, the like, uh?

• 48:35Speaker 03

  Shit, Sims or uh?

• 48:37Andrew Santino?

  Hmm.

• 48:38Speaker 03

  He has the song.

• 48:38Andrew Santino?

God, we're getting old, aren't we?

• 48:39Speaker 03

Ah, he's like that real like, like is it country? It's not like, it has like a Chris Stapleton voice.

• 48:46Andrew Santino?

I'll tell you who I like.

• 48:47Speaker 03

Chris Sims, now what's his name, uh?

• 48:51Speaker 04

It's impossible to keep up with music anymore.

• 48:52Andrew Santino?

Who's the guy, who's the country music artist that said the N-word?

• 48:55Speaker 03

  Which one?

• 48:56Speaker 04

  Morgan Wallen.

• 48:57Andrew Santino?

Love that guy. Can't get enough of it.

• 48:59Speaker 03

  Not because of that, but.

• 49:00Andrew Santino?

No, no, that's the only reason.

• 49:01Speaker 03

  Oh, okay, fair enough, okay.

• 49:02Andrew Santino?

I've never heard one song he's ever sung.

• 49:04Speaker 03

  Mm-hmm.

• 49:05Andrew Santino?

  Yeah.

• 49:06Speaker 03

That's a good music. I'm excited. I think that, I think the, the Grammys will pretty be.

• 49:10Andrew Santino?

The youthful, the youthful uh, wave of new music I get introduced to by the internet is kinda rad. I do like that. It does keep me on my toes and like, in a way that like, cause I remember my dad's generation fucking hated everything we listened to.

• 49:24Speaker 03

  Yeah.

• 49:25Andrew Santino?

They didn't like anything we listened to. They hated all of it. And I was always like, I don't wanna ever be that way. I don't have to like all of it. But I have to like try to see if it vibes with me a little bit.

• 49:34Speaker 03

  Mm-hmm.

• 49:34Andrew Santino?

Because till to this day, if I show my dad a song, he's like, ah, fucking what is that shit?

• 49:38Speaker 03

  Yeah.

• 49:38Andrew Santino?

And you're like, you don't like any of this shit?

• 49:39Speaker 03

But now, like I have my nieces and they're like teenagers now.

• 49:44Andrew Santino?

  Yeah.

• 49:44Speaker 03

And I'm like quizzing them. I'm like, well, like I'll hear, like over Christmas, I was like, who, who is this? And they're like, um, ah, and I'm like, think hard. Take your time.

• 49:55Andrew Santino?

  Black Sabbath.

• 49:56Speaker 03

No, Spice Girls. I'm like, there you go, there you go. Yeah, there you go.

• 50:00Andrew Santino?

Yeah, because our generation had all the boy, boy and girl groups and they don't do that anymore, right? What's BTS, BTS the only boy group, what's the only, what are other boy and girl groups that exist now? That's gotta be the only one.

• 50:09Speaker 03

  There's none.

• 50:10Andrew Santino?

BTS. That's the biggest boy group.

• 50:12Speaker 03

PTSD. That's. And then One Direction.

• 50:16Andrew Santino?

But they're done, they're done, right?

• 50:18Speaker 03

Well, Liam is, yeah, but uh. Tuh, yikes. Get off the pink cocaine, kids. Don't try it out, no one else has. Oh, you can't just start a drug when no one else has really tried it.

• 50:31Andrew Santino?

Yeah, you gotta let, also you always gotta let one of your fall guys try your shit before you.

• 50:35Speaker 03

  No pun intended.

• 50:35Andrew Santino?

  Oh, whoa.

• 50:39Speaker 03

Wait, who do you not like? Like what artist, I'm always interested, like.

• 50:43Andrew Santino?

  What's out?

• 50:44Speaker 03

Cause you listen, you listen to a lot of like hip hop.

• 50:46Andrew Santino?

I've got a pretty wide array, but hip hop is at the core of it.

• 50:48Speaker 03

  Yeah, see, I am not.

• 50:50Andrew Santino?

Yeah, you don't like it at all, huh?

• 50:52Speaker 03

I like, here's the thing, I like a good, like give me like nineties.

• 50:57Andrew Santino?

Yeah, that's what I like, that's my favorite.

• 50:58Speaker 03

SWV, I love um, uh, what's her name, um?

• 51:04Speaker 03

Oh shit, Tenash, is it Tenash? No, um. Make me water.

• 51:10Andrew Santino?

  Make me sweat.

• 51:11Speaker 03

That one, that one's good. I like a good like jazzy, I like actually like good beats. I can't listen to.

• 51:16Andrew Santino?

You like Glorilla? Do you know Glorilla?

• 51:19Speaker 03

I do know, yeah, she was on SNL. She had a good song. Dochi's cool, I like her.

• 51:24Andrew Santino?

Okay, so you're in, you're in.

• 51:24Speaker 03

I get it, but like, yeah, I like, I like, I like baddies.

• 51:28Andrew Santino?

  Ah.

• 51:29Speaker 03

I like little, I like some R and B baddies, Megan Thee Stallion, I like, yeah, I don't like these guys.

• 51:34Andrew Santino?

I know, there's no, who do I not like? Who do, whom I really yucked about?

• 51:36Speaker 03

  Quavo.

• 51:38Andrew Santino?

  Quavo's great.

• 51:39Speaker 03

  You like Quavo?

• 51:39Andrew Santino?

  Yeah.

• 51:40Speaker 03

  Yeah.

• 51:40Andrew Santino?

Oh yeah. That, that's, that's not your style.

• 51:43Speaker 03

No, I thought it was like a, a Mexican dip. And then I realized it was queso.

• 51:49Andrew Santino?

Do you guys have chips and Quavo?

• 51:50Speaker 03

You guys have chips and Quavo? Yeah. Can we get some more Quavo? Jose Quavo? You want a shot of Quavo? Sure.

• 51:58Andrew Santino?

By the way, is this, the only thing that's gonna save this city? Is going to be good Mexican food.

• 52:04Speaker 03

  It'll never happen.

• 52:05Andrew Santino?

If, if there's any, if we lose everything here, we'll at least still have good Mexican. When everybody's like, how's LA? I was in New York, everyone, how's LA? I'm like, I don't know, man, it's quiet, it's rebuilding, like people are freaked the fuck out. But we still have bomb ass Mexican food.

• 52:17Speaker 03

  Do we?

• 52:18Andrew Santino?

We do, what? Are you tripping right now?

• 52:21Speaker 03

  Do we though?

• 52:22Andrew Santino?

  I'm gonna take you.

• 52:23Speaker 03

  Where?

• 52:23Andrew Santino?

  Where do you go?

• 52:25Speaker 03

  Where do you go?

• 52:26Andrew Santino?

  Parking lots.

• 52:27Speaker 03

Yeah, the stands on the street.

• 52:28Andrew Santino?

  Stands in the streets.

• 52:30Speaker 03

  Where?

• 52:30Andrew Santino?

  Brother. We gotta take this.

• 52:32Speaker 03

Everywhere, stands on the street. What is it called?

• 52:34Andrew Santino?

No, no, no. These are just homemade tacos that they sell on the street, on the street.

• 52:38Speaker 03

  Get out of here.

• 52:39Andrew Santino?

  You don't need that?

• 52:40Speaker 03

What is this, San Diego? No.

• 52:41Andrew Santino?

  Brother, you're missing out.

• 52:42Speaker 03

No, you need an actual dining experience. Food trucks, food trucks don't count.

• 52:46Andrew Santino?

No, it's not a food truck.

• 52:47Speaker 03

  Okay.

• 52:48Andrew Santino?

  It's just on the sidewalk.

• 52:49Speaker 03

  What?

• 52:50Andrew Santino?

  Yeah.

• 52:50Speaker 03

Oh, so it's like a, with a tent overhead?

• 52:52Andrew Santino?

  Correct.

• 52:52Speaker 03

  Okay.

• 52:53Speaker 04

  Tents and the lights.

• 52:53Andrew Santino?

Those are the best, dude. You're gonna get the most bomb ass food at those.

• 52:57Speaker 03

I get that, and I agree.

• 52:58Andrew Santino?

But sit down Mexican, that's, that's more to just, that's for company, that's not for food.

• 53:02Speaker 03

  Yeah.

• 53:03Andrew Santino?

That's for like to hang with people, cause you wanna have a bunch of people to sit, cause these you gotta stand and eat it, you gotta walk.

• 53:07Speaker 03

But I mean, are you driving, you're like, damn, I really want like a taco right now?

• 53:12Andrew Santino?

There's one at the gas station, every night, he pulls in there at 6pm.

• 53:15Speaker 03

Okay, well that's fortunate for you.

• 53:16Andrew Santino?

Well, they're all over the place.

• 53:18Speaker 03

  Are they though?

• 53:19Speaker 04

  Everywhere.

• 53:19Andrew Santino?

They're everywhere. Well, the problem is you're in WeHo, and they're not in WeHo.

• 53:23Speaker 03

So all we get is like rat dogs.

• 53:24Andrew Santino?

  Right.

• 53:24Speaker 03

That's all we get, just bacon wrapped shit. Oh, that's all we have. I'm like, can we, can we have some options, please?

• 53:30Andrew Santino?

  Go to the east side.

• 53:31Speaker 03

  No.

• 53:32Andrew Santino?

Come on. That's where you're gonna get good Mexican food.

• 53:35Speaker 03

Okay, how far is East Side? Like Fairfax?

• 53:37Andrew Santino?

All you have to do is go to Silver Lake. Yeah, that's so funny. You won't go east of Fairfax?

• 53:41Speaker 03

No, I will, I will. I'll go east of Fairfax. I get it, I have done those, but I, but here, but like, I wanna do like a, like a, kind of like a shark tanked moment with food. Where it's like, oh, you got this family, they've got like, you know, Huevo de Naranja. Orchata. You know?

• 53:58Andrew Santino?

Huevo de nada? The way you, that's great.

• 54:00Speaker 03

  Huevo de naranja.

• 54:01Andrew Santino?

  They have quavo.

• 54:02Speaker 03

Limonada. Like, I want, and there's like, glass tanks.

• 54:05Andrew Santino?

  I get it.

• 54:06Speaker 03

I love that. And then be like, hey, this food's really good. We're gonna give you guys an actual establishment. So you guys have to get off the street.

• 54:13Andrew Santino?

We could do that. That'd be fun. We gotta just have the capital to do it, though.

• 54:16Speaker 03

  Right, right, right.

• 54:17Andrew Santino?

Are we gonna put up the money, or no?

• 54:18Speaker 03

Oh, we'll pay 'em bare minimum. You know, it's, it's all for us. We'll make merch.

• 54:23Andrew Santino?

  Alright, good. Well, we did-

• 54:24Speaker 03

  We'll make chains.

• 54:25Andrew Santino?

Well, they did vote to not raise the minimum wage. Right? They just voted.

• 54:28Speaker 03

  Oh, they did?

• 54:29Andrew Santino?

  Yeah.

• 54:30Speaker 03

They voted not to raise the minimum wage?

• 54:31Andrew Santino?

It's not gonna, it's not gonna-

• 54:32Speaker 03

Oh, thank god, I love progress. I really do.

• 54:36Andrew Santino?

Isn't that true? What are the, what's the minimum wage now? The federal minimum wage?

• 54:38Speaker 03

This is actually the last podcast I'll have with rights.

• 54:41Andrew Santino?

  That's it, dude?

• 54:42Speaker 03

  Yeah, so-

• 54:42Andrew Santino?

I can't wait to take away more from you, dude, I'm excited.

• 54:44Speaker 03

Is there like a confetti cannon or anything?

• 54:46Andrew Santino?

These gays can't drive, they no longer can drive cars.

• 54:49Speaker 04

  Federal minimum wage is $7.25.

• 54:50Andrew Santino?

  $7.25, right? Never raised it.

• 54:53Speaker 03

  Here in LA?

• 54:54Andrew Santino?

No, that's federal. State can be, California's like 13 or something.

• 54:58Speaker 03

  Yeah.

• 54:58Andrew Santino?

But federal min is $7. When you worked, you worked in bars and restaurants, didn't you?

• 55:02Speaker 03

  I did.

• 55:03Andrew Santino?

What was your, what was your minimum wage then? Do you remember? I think I got paid $2.87.

• 55:07Speaker 03

Dude, I think that's what I had, cause when I, when I lived in Texas, it was like $2.14 or something like that.

• 55:13Andrew Santino?

  Crazy.

• 55:13Speaker 03

  Yeah.

• 55:14Andrew Santino?

  And I remember-

• 55:14Speaker 03

And I lived in like Dallas at the time.

• 55:16Andrew Santino?

And which is, which is actually really affluent. Dallas has a lot of fucking money.

• 55:20Speaker 03

And it was like, you made like $2.14, and then everything else was like tips.

• 55:26Andrew Santino?

  Yeah.

• 55:26Speaker 03

So you got to keep your tips. But then I worked in a, a restaurant where, um, they just wouldn't tip you. And you're like, what the fuck? And they were like-

• 55:37Andrew Santino?

  So $2.

• 55:38Speaker 03

Dude, I remember, one of my, my favorite stories ever. As I was working at this restaurant um in Dallas called Papa Do's.

• 55:47Andrew Santino?

  Wait, is that a chain?

• 55:48Speaker 03

  Yeah.

• 55:49Andrew Santino?

  Yeah, I know Papa Do's.

• 55:49Speaker 03

Yeah, Papa Do's, like Cajun food.

• 55:51Andrew Santino?

  Yeah.

• 55:51Speaker 03

Yeah, it was, it was, I had a blast working there. But I also had like a homophobic manager and I um.

• 55:58Andrew Santino?

  I never worked there.

• 55:59Speaker 03

No, you didn't work there. No, no, no. But your brother did.

• 56:01Andrew Santino?

  Yeah.

• 56:01Speaker 03

And uh, yeah, I got like, I, I did my hair like highlights and he was like, in the handbook, nope, men can't have strange, zany hairstyles.

• 56:10Andrew Santino?

It says it in the handbook, men can't have strange zany.

• 56:12Speaker 03

And I was like, uh, uh, like, this bitch has purple hair.

• 56:18Andrew Santino?

  Yeah.

• 56:19Speaker 03

And they're like, well, she's a girl. She can have weird hair. I'm like, okay.

• 56:23Andrew Santino?

Justin, I want you to sweep up the floor, but I'm afraid you'll sit on the broom.

• 56:26Speaker 03

  I know.

• 56:27Andrew Santino?

  Listen, Mark.

• 56:28Speaker 03

That was one time. And it was the mop and bucket. Um, but no, I had, there was like a church group that came in. It was like a Sunday brunch and like, like this, you know, church group came in and they wanted all the checks split up and I, I mean, I was on it, like, I was nice. They were like, oh yes, everything's great, da, da, da, da, da. And some people left without paying.

• 56:52Andrew Santino?

  Sure.

• 56:52Speaker 03

Some people took off here and then like the, the actual preacher was like left with the bill. And they like paid out everything. I was like, oh, cool, you know, and I couldn't add gratuity. They wouldn't let me add gratuity.

• 57:03Andrew Santino?

Not automatic for part of your six or more?

• 57:05Speaker 03

Well, not automatic at the time. Like, we had to ask manager uh, uh, permission. And um, uh, so I went up to the guy afterwards and I was like, hey, what the hell, like, why didn't you tip me? Was everything okay? He's like, oh yeah, everything was great, great. Everything was awesome. And I'm like, okay, but then like, what's this? Looks me dead in the eyes and he goes, oh, I'm sorry, son. I gave all my money to Jesus this morning.

• 57:30Andrew Santino?

  Oh my God, dude.

• 57:31Speaker 03

Talk about prolapse. Like, I was just like, boom, like, like, what? Like, the fact, like, someone just straight faced said that to me.

• 57:40Andrew Santino?

  God got my money.

• 57:41Speaker 03

I gave all my money to God this morning.

• 57:42Andrew Santino?

  God got my money, pal.

• 57:44Speaker 03

  Cool.

• 57:44Andrew Santino?

And you're not gonna get it from me. Leviticus 11, 3, thou shall not tip thou'st who likes cockath. It's in the good book.

• 57:52Speaker 03

They did not tip in the land of Sodom and Gomorrah.

• 57:55Andrew Santino?

  That's right.

• 57:56Speaker 03

  It was just the tip.

• 57:57Andrew Santino?

  Remember that?

• 57:58Speaker 03

  God.

• 57:58Andrew Santino?

Dude, I got, I got fucked all the time. I worked at a restaurant that had 10 cent wings.

• 58:01Speaker 03

You think those, you think people that come for 10 cent wings are gonna tip you?

• 58:05Andrew Santino?

  10 cent wings, yeah.

• 58:06Speaker 03

  I'll have two wings.

• 58:08Andrew Santino?

Well, people would order that and be like, dude, you have to get, you have to have six wings. It's the minimum. And they'd be like, I don't want six wings. I want three. I'm like.

• 58:13Speaker 03

  Are you kidding me?

• 58:15Andrew Santino?

  Yeah, all the time.

• 58:16Speaker 03

So you had to make three wings in the back?

• 58:18Andrew Santino?

I didn't make them. They fucking made them. But that, it was so, it was so annoying. It's like, six was the minimum was 10 cent wings. And the reason we got, we did that deal is because you had to buy a drink. Not, it didn't have to be a beer, but you had to buy like a Coke or like anything to get the 10 cent deal. So people would buy the cheapest. They'd be like, what's the cheapest drink you have? It's lemonade or some shit.

• 58:34Speaker 03

  Yeah.

• 58:34Andrew Santino?

It was like $2.20 or something. And then they'd get a couple of wings and that's it. And then I, they'd leave me whatever the change was.

• 58:40Speaker 03

  Mm-hmm.

• 58:40Andrew Santino?

So I did, those 10 cent Tuesday nights were fucking, whenever I got scheduled, I was like, I'm, I'm actually gonna kill myself.

• 58:45Speaker 03

Oh, I mean, I look at people now, uh, like in the service industry. And I get it.

• 58:54Andrew Santino?

  Oh, yeah.

• 58:54Speaker 03

I mean, I have such an appreciation for that just because I've been there.

• 58:58Andrew Santino?

  Yeah.

• 58:58Speaker 03

And I'm, and when they're on and they're good, I'm like, it's the best feeling in the world because you're just like, not only are you cool, you know what you're doing. And I just remember like, like I started dying there at the end.

• 59:11Andrew Santino?

  Oh, yeah. Yeah.

• 59:12Speaker 03

I think you, yeah, you would come in to my restaurant every now and then. This was like, what, like shit? I don't remember how long ago this was. It was about five years ago.

• 59:21Andrew Santino?

  10.

• 59:21Speaker 03

  It was 10 years ago.

• 59:22Andrew Santino?

  I just said 10.

• 59:23Speaker 03

Oh, you said 10. I thought you were like two weeks ago.

• 59:25Andrew Santino?

  No, 10 years ago.

• 59:26Speaker 03

Um, which that place closed down, by the way.

• 59:28Andrew Santino?

I heard. I heard through the grapevine. R.I.P.

• 59:30Speaker 03

R.I.P. Um, but yeah, it was probably.

• 59:33Andrew Santino?

  You were miserable as shit.

• 59:34Speaker 03

Oh, miserable. Oh, I was the worst. I was the worst.

• 59:38Andrew Santino?

Whenever I saw you, I was like, hey, baby. You're like, hey. As if someone always just died.

• 59:42Speaker 03

I would actually just say, just shoot me, but like in full voice so customers could hear me.

• 59:47Andrew Santino?

  Kill me, please.

• 59:47Speaker 03

I'm just like, just fucking break my legs.

• 59:50Andrew Santino?

It's, it, it, I do have a high level of respect for it because it sucks so much. Also, sometimes you get people like, we had this girl in Philly made me laugh so hard because I could tell she was going through some shit. And she was like, what do you guys want to drink? And we were like, oh, I'll just have coffee. And someone else got a bloody mary. And she's like, good. Get to drinking. It's not gonna get any better. And I was like, holy shit. And then she walked away. She came back and we were like laughing a little bit. And then she goes, she comes back and she's like. I can't drink vodka or whatever and I was like, oh, really? Why? And she's like, wow, my boyfriend and I got into a tiff.

• 1:00:21Speaker 03

  Oh, here we go.

• 1:00:22Andrew Santino?

Dude, and then she, we didn't ask.

• 1:00:24Speaker 03

  Yes, but kept telling.

• 1:00:26Andrew Santino?

She was just like, I, uh, I fucking knocked over the Christmas tree and I was like, how? And she said, we got into a fight. We started yelling. I was screaming. I was chugging vodka.

• 1:00:37Speaker 03

  Chugging vodka.

• 1:00:38Andrew Santino?

She goes, I woke up on the couch. The tree was against the window. I had knocked it over. But we worked it out. She's like, so do you guys want to order? I was like, I'll take eggs. Yeah, I was like, I'll just have eggs over medium to go.

• 1:00:50Speaker 03

Yeah, yeah, to go and please serve me with your bare hands with the eggs.

• 1:00:54Andrew Santino?

I love her giving the story, though. It was kind of like, oh, she's been through the shit. She's like, I'm gonna share this with you, whether you like it or not.

• 1:00:58Speaker 03

There's always that one, there's always that one employee who will just tell you.

• 1:01:03Andrew Santino?

Yeah, they're gonna give it to you.

• 1:01:04Speaker 03

Everything that you want to go.

• 1:01:05Andrew Santino?

I gave the least. I was always, when I served, I was always like, hey, how you doing? Good? Great. What do you want? Okay, bye. I was never, I couldn't do it. I wasn't good at like the shucking and jiving and trying to pretend like we're friends and I didn't want to do it.

• 1:01:17Speaker 03

I remember Kim Kardashian came in one day.

• 1:01:20Andrew Santino?

  Really?

• 1:01:20Speaker 03

Yeah, it was early in the morning and I was there. I think I just had like a set at the improv or something because the improv was right next door.

• 1:01:26Andrew Santino?

  Yeah.

• 1:01:27Speaker 03

And like I went, uh, uh, opened the restaurant. It was like 9 a.m. I think I went to like back in my, shut the store, comedy store down at 3 a.m. days.

• 1:01:37Andrew Santino?

  Love that.

• 1:01:38Speaker 03

Um, now I'm like, and I'm done. It's 8:45. Bye.

• 1:01:40Andrew Santino?

Gotta be in bed by 9:30.

• 1:01:41Speaker 03

Oh, yeah, gotta go watch Traitors at home. Um, but, uh, uh, uh, she had come in for breakfast and I remember her just sitting there. She was like all by herself in the restaurant. And they were like, Kim Kardashian's here. And I was like, I don't give a f-. Oh, good. Can't wait. And I went over to her and I was like, yeah, what can I get for you? And she's like, and that's what she said. Do you guys have like a latte? And I said, well, we don't have like a latte. We have a latte. And she's like, oh, yeah, okay, yeah, I'll go have that. And that was, and they were like, you can't talk to Kim Kardashian like that. I'm like, what a fucking moron. Like, who does?

• 1:02:22Speaker 03

Who says shit like that? Do you go into Starbucks? Like, it was a cafe. Yes, we got a fucking latte.

• 1:02:28Andrew Santino?

I love if you just, if you said that, if you shoved it back at her.

• 1:02:30Speaker 03

Yeah, we have it. Oh, yeah, we have it.

• 1:02:31Andrew Santino?

  Yeah.

• 1:02:32Speaker 03

  Yeah.

• 1:02:32Andrew Santino?

  You want it?

• 1:02:33Speaker 03

  Oh, man.

• 1:02:34Andrew Santino?

  Too bad.

• 1:02:35Speaker 03

Oh, man, that place was a trip. One day I'll write a book about that place.

• 1:02:38Andrew Santino?

Yeah, because you had a lot of people go. There was a lot of famous people who used to go there.

• 1:02:40Speaker 03

It was crazy. I mean, like, we would have, like, Kylie Jenner, all like, all of them would call the paparazzi on themselves.

• 1:02:45Andrew Santino?

Yeah, to show up to that spot.

• 1:02:46Speaker 03

Yeah, to show up and be like, oh, my God, you guys leave me alone. I'm a person. I just want pasta, you know? And then you'd have, like, John Malkovich, like, over here eating by himself outside and no one gave a shit.

• 1:02:58Andrew Santino?

  That's rad.

• 1:02:59Speaker 03

  Sally Field.

• 1:03:00Andrew Santino?

  What?

• 1:03:01Speaker 03

By herself, yeah. And I'm like over there with Sally Field talking and she's like, who's that? I'm like, uh, some fucking Kardashian. And she's like, oh, man.

• 1:03:09Andrew Santino?

The whole time? The whole time?

• 1:03:11Speaker 03

Yeah. It was, it was, it was definitely a trip. I remember seeing, like, um, Chappelle would come in and, uh,

• 1:03:22Speaker 03

I mean, God, so many people. I remember, and speak, I think I mentioned Chet Hanks. Chet Hanks worked there.

• 1:03:27Andrew Santino?

  He worked there?

• 1:03:28Speaker 03

  In the shoe department.

• 1:03:29Andrew Santino?

  Wait, really?

• 1:03:30Speaker 03

  Yeah.

• 1:03:30Andrew Santino?

  At, really?

• 1:03:31Speaker 03

  Yeah.

• 1:03:32Andrew Santino?

  That's a trip.

• 1:03:33Speaker 03

He worked in men's shoes and he would come in and I think Tom made him get a job. I think that's what it was.

• 1:03:41Andrew Santino?

  Made him get a job?

• 1:03:42Speaker 03

Made him get a job. And he, like, worked at the, Fred Segal, it's shut down.

• 1:03:45Andrew Santino?

Yeah, yeah, yeah, Fred Segal, yeah.

• 1:03:47Speaker 03

And, um, he would come in and I'd be, like, working in the, in the cafe and he'd be like, hey, yeah, yeah, can I get, can I get one of those lemonades? And I was like,

• 1:03:58Speaker 03

you work here? Like, sure, whatever. And they'd be like, all right, man, put that on my tab. I'm like,

• 1:04:06Speaker 03

  What?

• 1:04:08Speaker 03

You sell shoes. Do you think you have a tab?

• 1:04:13Andrew Santino?

  Tab me, dude.

• 1:04:14Speaker 03

Tab me up, bro. Like, you don't have a tab.

• 1:04:17Andrew Santino?

Just give me the $3, man.

• 1:04:19Speaker 03

So it'd be crazy, because I'd be like around town, you know, be like at the improv or whatever, and he'd be leaving and like, like talking to some girl like in the parking lot or whatever. I'm like, "Pay your tab."

• 1:04:30Speaker 03

And he'd be like, "Hey, man."

• 1:04:31Andrew Santino?

He's not gonna take you out if he pays his tab.

• 1:04:32Speaker 03

He has a tab for lemonade. Like, the date's not gonna go well.

• 1:04:38Andrew Santino?

  God bless him.

• 1:04:39Speaker 03

  Yeah.

• 1:04:40Andrew Santino?

  God bless the tab.

• 1:04:41Speaker 03

  Yeah.

• 1:04:41Andrew Santino?

Are you on tour, by the way?

• 1:04:42Speaker 03

  Yes.

• 1:04:43Andrew Santino?

  Tell me. Tell the kids.

• 1:04:44Speaker 03

  I will be, yeah.

• 1:04:44Andrew Santino?

Tell the kids where you go.

• 1:04:46Speaker 03

  When do I go?

• 1:04:46Andrew Santino?

Tell the kids where you are.

• 1:04:47Speaker 03

Oh, man, I'm gonna be in Chicago at Zany's.

• 1:04:50Andrew Santino?

  My home.

• 1:04:51Speaker 03

Uh, February 11th, and Phoenix at the Grand Ridge Improv, or wait, I'm sorry, Desert Ridge Improv.

• 1:04:57Andrew Santino?

  Desert Ridge, yeah.

• 1:04:58Speaker 03

23rd at Cobb's in San Francisco.

• 1:05:01Andrew Santino?

  That's one of my favorites.

• 1:05:02Speaker 03

Uh, San Antonio, Houston, Dallas, Boston, March 2nd.

• 1:05:07Andrew Santino?

Where are you playing in Boston? Laugh, Laugh Boston?

• 1:05:10Speaker 03

  Probably, yeah, yeah.

• 1:05:11Andrew Santino?

You don't even know? That's so funny.

• 1:05:12Speaker 03

I don't know. I'm just happy to be out.

• 1:05:15Andrew Santino?

  Yeah, God bless.

• 1:05:17Speaker 03

And then, uh, New York, uh, March 20th, that's my birthday at the, at the, um, New York Club, and then at the New York Club, the New York Comedy Club. What is it called?

• 1:05:26Andrew Santino?

  New York Comedy Club.

• 1:05:27Speaker 03

  Is that what it is?

• 1:05:27Andrew Santino?

I mean, that's one of them.

• 1:05:28Speaker 03

And then Stanford, Connecticut. Uh, they have a New York Comedy Club there. So, yeah, I'm all over. Just follow me on Instagram at Justin Martindale. Just do it.

• 1:05:36Andrew Santino?

  Just do it.

• 1:05:37Speaker 03

It's all in the link tree.

• 1:05:38Andrew Santino?

It's in the link tree, dude. Will you just?

• 1:05:40Speaker 03

Are we wrapping up? Is that why we're getting to the dates, or?

• 1:05:42Andrew Santino?

  Well, you have to.

• 1:05:43Speaker 03

Okay. And then also my podcast, Just Saying, which, Just Saying with Justin Martindale.

• 1:05:48Andrew Santino?

  Just.

• 1:05:49Speaker 03

  Please.

• 1:05:50Andrew Santino?

  Just Saying.

• 1:05:51Speaker 03

Uh, I was gonna call it Hugo de Naranja, but it was just too long.

• 1:05:55Andrew Santino?

  Chips and Cuevas?

• 1:05:56Speaker 03

Yeah, uh, Just Saying with Justin Martindale, um, on YouTube and wherever you get your podcasts. And you need to come on.

• 1:06:03Andrew Santino?

  Oh, come on.

• 1:06:04Speaker 03

As well. We have so much fun.

• 1:06:05Andrew Santino?

Oh, come on. And also, my duty then is to take you for real Mexican food, because we can't have this fucking game anymore.

• 1:06:11Speaker 03

  Okay.

• 1:06:12Andrew Santino?

Of you not having real Mexican food. I'm, I'm a little annoyed by that, like, because in this city, that's the one thing we did get right.

• 1:06:17Speaker 03

What is your favorite Mexican food?

• 1:06:19Andrew Santino?

  Like dish or place?

• 1:06:20Speaker 03

  Dish.

• 1:06:20Andrew Santino?

  Ah, my favorite dish.

• 1:06:23Speaker 03

  Especial.

• 1:06:24Andrew Santino?

I would like, my, my, uh, my, uh, favorite especial for Andres is, uh, I would say, I love a good, I love a good chili relleno.

• 1:06:37Andrew Santino?

I do love a chili rancho.

• 1:06:38Speaker 03

That's a good one. Like a stuffed, like a, like with the cheese, the Oaxaca cheese.

• 1:06:43Andrew Santino?

  Stuffed cheese chili rancho.

• 1:06:46Andrew Santino?

I'm a, I fuck with the tamales the most. Like when I'm on the street, I buy the tamales from the tamale lady.

• 1:06:51Speaker 03

I love tamales. Okay, they sell them in a bag?

• 1:06:54Andrew Santino?

  Yeah.

• 1:06:55Speaker 03

  Work.

• 1:06:55Andrew Santino?

Yeah, and they come with a cooler.

• 1:06:56Speaker 03

Yeah. What flavor? Pork, chicken? Beef?

• 1:07:00Andrew Santino?

I'm almost always a beef guy.

• 1:07:02Speaker 03

  Raisin?

• 1:07:02Andrew Santino?

I'm always beef. I'm almost always a beef guy. I'm, because, um, uh, chicken scares me a lot.

• 1:07:09Speaker 03

  Yeah.

• 1:07:10Andrew Santino?

Chicken is a thing that I know might not have cooked a lot.

• 1:07:12Speaker 03

Cause the eggs are so expensive?

• 1:07:14Andrew Santino?

Yeah. They haven't, the eggs didn't go down. When the eggs go down, that's when I'll do it.

• 1:07:19Speaker 03

  Yeah, let's go.

• 1:07:20Andrew Santino?

Yeah, that's mine, but we gotta take you.

• 1:07:21Speaker 03

Yeah, I like carnitas. I like.

• 1:07:23Andrew Santino?

We'll get some, we'll get carnitas, tacos, fajitas.

• 1:07:25Speaker 03

Yeah. I like, I like Mexican food. I'm from Texas.

• 1:07:28Andrew Santino?

Just not Mexican people. That's what you said before the show. He did say that before the show.

• 1:07:31Speaker 03

Oh, we gotta ice them out. And I'm talking about my own family too. Yeah.

• 1:07:36Andrew Santino?

Ice them out. Please go listen and watch to, uh, Just Saying with Justin Martindale. Also go see him live on tour. One of my favorite comedians. We've known, I've known you for so long. A Comedy Store, a brethren, uh, one of the last people, if not the last person to get past my mitts and shore.

• 1:07:53Speaker 03

  The last.

• 1:07:54Andrew Santino?

  Which is crazy.

• 1:07:55Speaker 03

  Yeah.

• 1:07:55Andrew Santino?

It's an insane fucking world. You were the last one.

• 1:07:58Speaker 03

  She died right after.

• 1:07:59Andrew Santino?

  Your fault.

• 1:08:00Speaker 03

  And I'd do it again.

• 1:08:03Andrew Santino?

Follow him on all the platforms, on the Instagram and all that good jazz. And we end the show the same way. You look into that camera, you say one word or one phrase. Something that will bookend the episode perfectly. So one word or a phrase. Give it to me when you're ready. In the meantime, take care of yourself.

• 1:08:23Speaker 01

In here, we pour whiskey, whiskey, whiskey, whiskey, whiskey.

• 1:08:29Speaker 02

You're that creature in the ginger beard. Sturdy and ginger.

• 1:08:33Speaker 05

Like vampires, the ginger gene is a curse.

• 1:08:35Speaker 06

Gingers are beautiful. You owe me five dollars for the whiskey and seventy-five dollars for the horse. Ginger's, oh hell no.

• 1:08:42Speaker 02

This whiskey is excellent. Ginger. I like gingers.
