Hey, can you come pick me up? Yeah, what's wrong? Nothing. Are you sure? Yeah, no, I just need a ride. Ride, ride. Oh, my God. So why, I just wanna have fun. Start your engine. I care.

• 0:30Benito Skinner?

  I'm Benito Skinner.

• 0:31Mary Beth Barone?

  I'm Mary Beth Brown.

• 0:33Benito Skinner?

  And this.

• 0:33Mary Beth Barone?

  Is.

• 0:34Benito Skinner?

  Ride.

• 0:39Benito Skinner?

And I, I did the most iconic Fights-a-Thing I've ever done. [BLEEP].

• 0:44Mary Beth Barone?

Well, I'm so proud of you. Wait, this is so season two. I mean, I know we're gonna cut the story, but your, your energy right now is season two.

• 0:51Benito Skinner?

Okay, so I just told Mary Beth a story that she literally, oh, maybe one day we'll release, we'll call them the [BLEEP] tapes.

• 0:58Mary Beth Barone?

I have a list of the lost files. I'm keeping track of the stuff we can't talk about yet.

• 1:03Benito Skinner?

  Oh, good. I can't wait.

• 1:04Mary Beth Barone?

And people wouldn't believe what, what the list is, like what the words are on the list.

• 1:09Benito Skinner?

We're making a list, checking twice. It's just a super cut of dust.

• 1:16Mary Beth Barone?

  Right.

• 1:16Benito Skinner?

Super cut of dust. You guys, finally, I have a new era. Are you hearing me? Are we all good on tech? I feel great. I mean, for you, it's kinda like I'm watching Stop Motion Get Made, which I like.

• 1:27Mary Beth Barone?

  Oh, really?

• 1:28Benito Skinner?

  A little bit.

• 1:28Mary Beth Barone?

  Is it okay?

• 1:29Benito Skinner?

Yeah, I'm actually like fine with it. I can see anything on a screen at this point.

• 1:33Mary Beth Barone?

I mean, I can turn off the video if you want.

• 1:35Benito Skinner?

Have you ever had to watch yourself in 8K for six months in a row? I never wanna see my fucking ugly face again.

• 1:44Mary Beth Barone?

  I, I can't fathom it.

• 1:46Benito Skinner?

I can't stress enough how stunning you are, though, girl.

• 1:49Mary Beth Barone?

No, I, I know when I see it, I'm gonna be like, wow, you should take me out behind the barn.

• 1:53Benito Skinner?

Uh-uh. No, that was me. I was cattle today. It was, I was giving a little cattle vibes, but you, oh, sweetheart, my God, you're adorable. Every time you and Wally are on screen, I go, so cute. Well, the whole cast, I just go, so cute. But then I see me and, you know, sometimes daddy showed up to work and sometimes my face was still hunkering down for the long winter, but I was tan regardless.

• 2:17Mary Beth Barone?

Hey, it's nothing you can't fix in post.

• 2:19Benito Skinner?

Speaking of overcompensating, because of this fabulous program, which we can't wait to tell you all about very soon, we're, I think we're probably gonna do a special app or something, too. Why not? You know? Mommy and daddy, or your brother and sister, you know, something really special is coming. And there are so many Easter eggs for this show. And I didn't even realize how many there were until I rewatched a couple of episodes today. And I was like, damn, it really is an ecosystem.

• 2:42Mary Beth Barone?

It's an ecosystem, and I love that.

• 2:44Benito Skinner?

But speaking of overcompensating, it has kind of sucked up all my eras into this era.

• 2:49Mary Beth Barone?

  Which is supercut of dust.

• 2:51Benito Skinner?

But then, supercut of dust happened. So, right when Terry and I wake up, I do a bit for him because he's not quite woken up yet. And I'm not getting the attention I so deserve. So, a couple of bits I'm doing, one, I think everyone should try. The second Terry opens his eyes, this was on our ins and outs list. It was in, obviously. You look at your partner and you say, you're losing me. It's the first thing I say when he wakes up and opens his eyes.

• 3:19Mary Beth Barone?

People think you're joking. I know that you're not. That's the thing. I know you're not joking every single day.

• 3:25Benito Skinner?

He sees this frickin' perfect ass and he gets told you're losing me every morning. But then one day, I had supercut in my head, of course. There are easier ways to say you're the host of a ride. And I couldn't stop going, it's just a supercut of dust.

• 3:43Mary Beth Barone?

Supercut of dust. Supercut of dust.

• 3:46Benito Skinner?

And then Terry will go, oh, it's just a supercut of dice. And I go, say it once, say it twice, you will feel like a million bucks. You, it just makes sense to me. Some things just make sense.

• 4:00Mary Beth Barone?

I mean, what have we been saying? Also on the ins and outs list, obviously in, sounds not words.

• 4:05Benito Skinner?

Sounds not words. Supercut of dust.

• 4:07Mary Beth Barone?

Supercut of dust. Okay. Well, I'm really glad we were able to cover that this week because that's actually been in our notes app list of pod opening items. And we didn't get to it last time. Some other stuff on that list. So I did want to say that we're trying to figure out what we're going to do for Ride Heritage Month, which is coming up. I thought it'd be fun to manipulate a stock.

• 4:27Benito Skinner?

  Oh, totally. I agree.

• 4:28Mary Beth Barone?

But we would need everyone to do it, and I just don't know if we have the compliance yet.

• 4:32Benito Skinner?

  The Dow Jones.

• 4:34Mary Beth Barone?

I wanted to manipulate, like, yeah, like, like, sort of what they did with GameStop, except like for a girl brand.

• 4:39Benito Skinner?

Yeah. A-Lo goes through the roof.

• 4:43Mary Beth Barone?

And we all get fucking rich, please.

• 4:45Benito Skinner?

I assume they're public. I love when people talk about going public.

• 4:48Mary Beth Barone?

Yeah, well, it's an IPO and all that. You know how it is.

• 4:51Benito Skinner?

I want to ring the bell with Mary Beth Barone.

• 4:53Mary Beth Barone?

Oh, imagine us ringing the bell the day it crashes.

• 4:55Benito Skinner?

  Morning.

• 4:58Benito Skinner?

Wait, we have to be there when it crashes in two weeks. Please let us be there.

• 5:02Mary Beth Barone?

We'll see what we can do.

• 5:04Benito Skinner?

We're all looking around. What happened?

• 5:06Mary Beth Barone?

  Wait, what's going on?

• 5:07Benito Skinner?

It's like when Bane showed up. What's going on?

• 5:09Mary Beth Barone?

  It's so quiet.

• 5:11Benito Skinner?

Wait, if we ever get to do that, I'm dressing up as Bane.

• 5:14Mary Beth Barone?

Of course, yeah. And I'm gonna be, or I could be Marion Cotillard.

• 5:18Benito Skinner?

Oh, of course. The knife is the deep. What did she say? The first cut is the deepest when she knifes him?

• 5:24Mary Beth Barone?

She quotes Sheryl Crow, yeah, when she knifes him.

• 5:27Benito Skinner?

She's very pay-per-forward in that moment. Very knife, knifing.

• 5:31Mary Beth Barone?

It's knife-based. The other thing for Ride Heritage Month, we are gonna do Ride Core Values. I really wanna work on this with you. The first one is that we believe in science, which brings me to my next point. And sorry, I'm just kind of ripping through these because I feel like...

• 5:45Benito Skinner?

  We have things to do.

• 5:46Mary Beth Barone?

We have things to do. So unfortunately, they have ended DEI at Dear Media. So Benito and I will no longer be hosting the podcast because Benito is gay and Basque, and I, of course, am a bisexual woman.

• 5:59Benito Skinner?

  And Italian.

• 6:00Mary Beth Barone?

And Italian. So unfortunately, Ivanka will be taking the reins. And I just hope that you can welcome her with the Barone energy that we know you guys have had for us.

• 6:11Benito Skinner?

Yeah. I think Carrie Underwood has an ugly heart, and I can look at her and know that. And that's my intuition. And I ride for intuition, which I'll get to.

• 6:19Mary Beth Barone?

Yeah, she doesn't hide that well.

• 6:21Benito Skinner?

No, no, no, no. And it's so funny because one of my sister's friends, she was such a Carrie Underwood stan, like just beyond. This was her number one person. And she won like a VIP experience and got to meet her after a concert. She was like...

• 6:34Mary Beth Barone?

Because she's the only one that entered.

• 6:35Benito Skinner?

Yeah, yeah, yeah. Well, they paid her to do it.

• 6:40Mary Beth Barone?

They put out a drug list.

• 6:42Benito Skinner?

You were pitchy as hell, sis. But here's the thing. Carrie got up there. It's just the supercut of dust. She could never do Lord. Lord could do.

• 6:53Mary Beth Barone?

Before he cheats? Are you kidding? In her fucking sleep?

• 6:56Benito Skinner?

She could never do the Louvre.

• 6:58Mary Beth Barone?

Mm hmm. What was she like at the experience?

• 7:01Benito Skinner?

She was so rude, so dismissive. And I can't stress enough. This friend of my sister's is like the warmest, sweetest. Like, I try to see both sides, you know me.

• 7:10Mary Beth Barone?

  Totally.

• 7:11Benito Skinner?

There's not a world where she was like super drunk or inappropriate. Like, she is just the most lovely person and loved her so much. And she said she was like pure evil. And was so mean and just like dismissive and wasn't having it.

• 7:24Mary Beth Barone?

What have we always said? Your heroes should be nurses, teachers, and your parents if they were good parents.

• 7:29Benito Skinner?

Yeah. I guess every day is a bad day when you have an ugly heart. Next.

• 7:33Mary Beth Barone?

  Totally.

• 7:34Benito Skinner?

Oh, can I say something? Hockey player wife. Hockey player wife.

• 7:38Mary Beth Barone?

  Hockey.

• 7:39Benito Skinner?

  Supercut of dust.

• 7:41Mary Beth Barone?

  Whoa.

• 7:42Benito Skinner?

  Yeah.

• 7:42Mary Beth Barone?

Do you see how it's all? It's a circle. Okay, also, this season, sometimes when we're recording, I say, oh, we're gonna cut that. And then we end up not cutting it. And I don't even cut that I said we're gonna cut that because I want to be like totally real and transparent with you guys. Just know that that's not a mistake. Like, we left it in on purpose.

• 8:00Benito Skinner?

No, that's like when an artist includes a voice note in their album. I'm like, you wanted me to hear a voicemail from your grandma? And I'm glad you did. I love it.

• 8:07Mary Beth Barone?

And that feels vulnerable and I feel a sense of intimacy. So the other thing I want to say is I came up with a new challenge. And I want you guys to do this on TikTok. I haven't done it to my parents yet because I haven't seen them in a few weeks. You run into the room and you go, Tate McCray is dating the kid Leroy.

• 8:24Mary Beth Barone?

You record your parents' reaction. Tate McCray is dating the kid Leroy. Yeah, they've been dating for a while.

• 8:29Benito Skinner?

We've had this notes app for years. And I see the Leroy challenge on there. And I could not stop thinking to myself, what is that? Do you know about Pasta Gate?

• 8:39Mary Beth Barone?

So I didn't know if we were gonna get into Pasta Gate. But obviously, I feel like by the time this comes out, we will have had some distance from it. So here's my thing with it.

• 8:48Benito Skinner?

  Yeah.

• 8:49Mary Beth Barone?

Everybody has a choice to be a public figure or not. And sometimes I wonder if being a public figure is good for anybody.

• 8:59Benito Skinner?

Is worth it. Here's the thing, Terry, my influencer wife has now, she's, hey, she's complicated. She's messy. She's brat. She's domestic. She's opinionated. I came home from an eight hour edit yesterday, looking a mess. And I walk in the door and Terry goes, so did you hear about Pasta Gate? And he proceeded to tell me all about it. It was so fun. It was just fun to see what, what the wife had been doing all day. Busy.

• 9:30Mary Beth Barone?

And that will consume, that could take up an entire day.

• 9:32Benito Skinner?

Ripping through Twitter and, you know, neither of us have Twitter, so it was fun to kind of tap in and see what was going on. Here's my take on it. I didn't love the sounds of hand and pasta. That was just my first reaction. Terry eating it, that's my polite, sweet girl. And doing that in front of Lord? I can't help but think there's a little bit of a supercut of dust.

• 9:54Mary Beth Barone?

Supercut of dust in that moment.

• 9:56Benito Skinner?

The whole thing feels a little supercut of dust. To me personally.

• 10:00Mary Beth Barone?

To me, it's like, it's yes ending and it's saying like, I'm gonna go along with the bit. I guess if someone offered me pasta with their bare hands, I'm like, I guess I could say no to that, but why? Like, haven't we been through enough?

• 10:11Benito Skinner?

People were really coming from on Twitter and I'm like, that's so crazy. It's really hard to see people do that to someone you love who's gay. And it's just like, if you're gay and around Charlie, like you're really like, it can be really scary. You have a huge target on your back, but then I get away with Azalea Banks. So it's a weird year.

• 10:27Mary Beth Barone?

People on Twitter have no friends. This is for the group chat. Take whatever you're about to post on Twitter and send it to your fucking friends. And if you don't have any, that's why you're posting on Twitter. And that's what I have to say on that. Azalea Banks, obviously a different story. I don't know what her group chats look like, but she totally came for J K Rowling. So Twitter's sort of been like, trying to come back into my life and I'm just like, absolutely not.

• 10:48Benito Skinner?

That's as close as it could get for you.

• 10:50Mary Beth Barone?

That's as close as it could get. So she's pro Benny drama and she's anti J K Rowling being a turf. So like, I'm saying maybe Azalea Banks's year is 2025.

• 10:59Benito Skinner?

Yeah. You go, whoa, Project 2025 is kind of killing.

• 11:02Mary Beth Barone?

Whoa, great. I'm kind of into it.

• 11:05Benito Skinner?

  Yeah.

• 11:06Mary Beth Barone?

There's so much happening. I was also informed on Reddit about the 9/11 media butterfly effect, which I'll go through real quick.

• 11:14Benito Skinner?

Can you please, the ripples, it gives me goosebumps.

• 11:16Mary Beth Barone?

So apparently, when 9/11 happened, the lead singer of My Chemical Romance, he wasn't the lead singer of My Chemical Romance yet. He was so affected by the tragedy that he started the band My Chemical Romance. Now, the writer of Twilight had a crush on the lead singer of My Chemical Romance, and that inspired her to write Twilight.

• 11:36Benito Skinner?

  Yeah.

• 11:36Mary Beth Barone?

Then, of course, Twilight inspires fanfiction Fifty Shades of Grey, which then makes Dakota Johnson a star, which her career continues to grow and grow.

• 11:44Benito Skinner?

Then she makes her A.D. She makes her A.D. with the Limes, then she goes on Ellen. Or she goes on Ellen before A.D.

• 11:51Mary Beth Barone?

I don't know where that falls, but we got those two amazing pieces of media out of this all, and it goes back all the way to 2001.

• 11:59Benito Skinner?

Do you know where it ends?

• 12:01Mary Beth Barone?

  It ends on Ellen's couch.

• 12:02Benito Skinner?

Oh, no, no, it ends after Ellen's couch. It ends in Santa Barbara, with Ellen. They tried to cancel me. All those things gave me that joke. Do you understand that, my sweet girl? Oh, wow.

• 12:21Mary Beth Barone?

I mean, and thank you to people for bringing that to my attention, because I actually had no idea.

• 12:26Benito Skinner?

I think someone, I do remember reading that, and they said something about this is like, one of those things that just sounds like such a lie, but is actually 100%.

• 12:33Mary Beth Barone?

  It's actually true.

• 12:34Benito Skinner?

  Yeah, true facts, hard facts.

• 12:36Mary Beth Barone?

Now, I think we need to get into something that's been on the notes, that's been, now I think we need to get in some, now I think we need to get into something that's been, no, we're keeping all of that. Yeah, whatever. I showed up to work today, honey.

• 12:49Benito Skinner?

Yeah. And can I say, this is right after dark, AKA, it's 3:00 PM in L.A., 6:00 in New York.

• 12:56Mary Beth Barone?

I don't know, I'm not sure, because where they have me in the detention center, we don't have windows.

• 13:00Benito Skinner?

They keep moving you. Well, they rumble the sides of it, so you think you're, you don't know where you are.

• 13:05Mary Beth Barone?

And it's like, it's a Bug's Life at Disney, where it's like 40, and when they sneeze, I get sprayed with water.

• 13:10Benito Skinner?

Oh my God, I want to do Ride 4D. I have so many ideas.

• 13:15Mary Beth Barone?

  Write them down.

• 13:16Benito Skinner?

Did I tell you I saw Moulin Rouge?

• 13:18Mary Beth Barone?

  What do you mean?

• 13:19Benito Skinner?

  The show in Paris.

• 13:21Mary Beth Barone?

  No.

• 13:21Benito Skinner?

And it's, I got so inspired for Ride Live. I'm talking harnesses. I'm talking 80 people on stage in costume. I'm talking 80s pop. It blew me away to a degree that I can't stop thinking about it. The costuming, like, it is exactly what I want for Ride Live. Like, it's cabaret.

• 13:39Mary Beth Barone?

And I want to say it's, it has notes of steampunk, Moulin Rouge.

• 13:43Benito Skinner?

You cannot believe, steampunk? I mean, doing it with chair is like a whole, I mean, you can't even imagine. It's, it's just, it's fabulous in every sense.

• 13:54Mary Beth Barone?

  I had no idea.

• 13:55Benito Skinner?

Sometimes, you know, I will say like the dance, it just feels like there's so many of them. How could they ever be in unison? And that's what I love about it. Like, there's a fluidity to it. It's power and it's sex.

• 14:06Mary Beth Barone?

You at Moulin Rouge, like, that, I would have just loved to watch you watching it. I don't even need to see the show.

• 14:12Benito Skinner?

I was giddy, a little schooled. I turned to Terry at one point, I go, Ride Live.

• 14:16Mary Beth Barone?

  Ride Live.

• 14:16Benito Skinner?

And he went, 100%. Like, this one cost, oh, I'll, I'll send you it later. I don't want to give anything away because I think I might just have it completely ripped from it.

• 14:24Mary Beth Barone?

  Perfect.

• 14:24Benito Skinner?

There's one moment where a man and a woman are on harnesses, lip singing a song, and they're up, but they're not up that high. So they're just like, their feet are a little too close to the audience, and they're holding flashlights to their faces so they still have good lighting on them. I'm like, come on, come on, kid.

• 14:40Mary Beth Barone?

I think we could pull something like that off.

• 14:42Benito Skinner?

I think so too. Peter Pan and Wendy.

• 14:45Mary Beth Barone?

So, this is something I'm just gonna read off the Notes app. Hippos have the craziest reputation.

• 14:51Benito Skinner?

Oh my God, okay. So, this is one of those things, if you spend enough time with Galileo's great-great-grand niece, like I do, you'll start to get galaxy brain, just a little bit.

• 15:02Mary Beth Barone?

  You notice things, right?

• 15:03Benito Skinner?

You start to see things, look around.

• 15:05Mary Beth Barone?

You see the world in like a different way.

• 15:07Benito Skinner?

So I'm watching this video because sometimes YouTube is so confused on who I am. They cannot pinpoint me, and that's what I love. They're like, hey, do you want to watch a hippo fight an alligator? And I was like, 100%, like, this I gotta see. This hippo was so fucking batshit crazy. And I thought to myself, every time someone opens their mouth to talk about hippos, they say the craziest shit. Hippos? Reputation.

• 15:33Mary Beth Barone?

  Reputation.

• 15:34Benito Skinner?

  Reputation.

• 15:35Mary Beth Barone?

  Are you ready for it?

• 15:36Benito Skinner?

Are you ready for it? Okay. People are like, they're faster than any other animal. Their teeth could like shatter a skull. They're the most vicious and they're in responsible for the most human deaths in Africa, I believe. I can't fact check any of this, but hippos are fucking-

• 15:52Mary Beth Barone?

I have, I have the numbers.

• 15:54Benito Skinner?

Give me the numbers. Hippos are crazy. They are so out of pocket.

• 15:58Mary Beth Barone?

So as you know, in season one, we put it to a vote to see if people knew the deadliest animal. And the deadliest animal, of course, is the mosquito.

• 16:07Benito Skinner?

  Yeah.

• 16:08Mary Beth Barone?

But I do want to say that hippo is well in the top 10. And it's five times deadlier than the next one. Mosquitoes, they're in another league. 780,000 deaths in 2016.

• 16:20Benito Skinner?

  Your favorite critter could never.

• 16:22Mary Beth Barone?

Snakes could only dream to be hitting numbers like that. They did 75,000.

• 16:27Benito Skinner?

  Yeah.

• 16:27Mary Beth Barone?

But I do want to say that hippo is, it's not to be ignored. 500 deaths in 2016.

• 16:34Benito Skinner?

  That's insane.

• 16:35Mary Beth Barone?

  That's a lot of people.

• 16:36Benito Skinner?

Especially for an animal that we really lean more plush and sweet.

• 16:40Mary Beth Barone?

  Oh, whimsical even.

• 16:42Benito Skinner?

  Oh, totally.

• 16:43Mary Beth Barone?

Hungry, hungry hippo? That's not a little cutesy little game. That's a fucking warning.

• 16:48Benito Skinner?

No, exactly. That's like when you, oh, hungry, hungry huskies, my love. It's the same thing. It's the same thing.

• 16:55Mary Beth Barone?

It's the same mentality. And it's really dangerous.

• 16:58Benito Skinner?

How many deaths are huskies responsible for? I know, this is my new conspiracy.

• 17:02Mary Beth Barone?

Well, you know, the husky lobby would never, it's like the gun lobby. They would never let that information be public.

• 17:06Benito Skinner?

They have the best publicist. You can't even imagine.

• 17:09Mary Beth Barone?

They're literally, people, people pay money to have them in the home.

• 17:12Benito Skinner?

Wait, so when we break up and have a huge fight, I need you to know that I will have a website with receipts.

• 17:19Mary Beth Barone?

Oh, and I need you to know that-

• 17:21Benito Skinner?

  My Squarespace?

• 17:22Mary Beth Barone?

All the voice notes you've ever sent me. And I will be leaking them in a memorandum.

• 17:28Benito Skinner?

  You better.

• 17:29Mary Beth Barone?

And you'll get a subpoena and I know your address.

• 17:32Benito Skinner?

You couldn't be ahead of the Justin Baldoni Blake Lively drama if you fucking tried. It could be your full-time job and you wouldn't be caught up.

• 17:41Mary Beth Barone?

Honestly, I, at this point, I'm like, it did what it needed to do for culture. I need it to be over.

• 17:46Benito Skinner?

I don't need to see it.

• 17:47Mary Beth Barone?

• 17:59Mary Beth Barone?

The cuffs, the cuffs that are attached to nothing, the floating cuffs, if you will.

• 18:04Benito Skinner?

• 18:08Mary Beth Barone?

  Yeah.

Okay, should we get into what we ride for? Let us know if your life's ever been affected by a hippo, but I really can't stress enough. I'm so glad it's finally out there. Hippo's reputation.

• 18:20Mary Beth Barone?

Reputation. I don't even know what you're riding for.

• 18:24Benito Skinner?

Well, aren't you riding for him?

• 18:25Mary Beth Barone?

  Contenders. I'm riding for him.

• 18:27Benito Skinner?

  Capital H I M.

• 18:28Mary Beth Barone?

H I M. I will be riding this week for Sebastian Stan.

• 18:32Benito Skinner?

Oh my God, and I'll be riding for popcorn.

  Who cares? Ride!

• 21:53Mary Beth Barone?

I do think you should go first because I just can't wait to hear how much you have to say about popcorn.

• 21:59Benito Skinner?

This is like my skincare episode. I could do a whole episode.

• 22:01Mary Beth Barone?

  You could do it solo.

• 22:02Benito Skinner?

Unfortunately, though, my skincare episode would be shorter than ever because shout out Sophie Pavitt. I love you so much. She fixed my, my skin. I had a crazy dermatitis outbreak of peri-oral and just, I could not figure out. And then she was like, you are putting too many products on your face. Skincare routines should be short. If you can do a ton and your skin can handle it, great. But honestly, you're freaking out your barrier with all the barrier support. No one had ever said that. There is too much of a good thing. Everything in moderation.

• 22:32Mary Beth Barone?

  Yeah.

• 22:32Benito Skinner?

  It rocked my world.

• 22:33Mary Beth Barone?

I actually saw her post. I think you inspired her to post to just the general public.

• 22:37Benito Skinner?

  Just at me, sis.

• 22:38Mary Beth Barone?

  You're putting, she subtweeted you.

• 22:40Benito Skinner?

Yeah, she really, I'm like, we just talked about this on text. Just at me. But popcorn. So I have always been a movie head. I love walking into a movie theater and smelling that. I've never not gotten popcorn and a Coke slushy at a movie, ever.

• 22:55Mary Beth Barone?

  I can attest.

• 22:56Benito Skinner?

I cannot. I am the Pavlovian dog, which we'll talk about, of course.

• 23:00Mary Beth Barone?

Which is later, later in the season.

• 23:02Benito Skinner?

That might be heritage. But that's my big scientific study episode. But here's the thing. Popcorn is so versatile. It plays into oral fixation for me. Like, it's just the crunch, the little bit, the salty, the butter. It can go sweet. It can go cheesy. It can go garlic. You can get like a little artisanal. It's just, so ever since I've been a kid, I've just been obsessed, bleep it. And then my favorite thing every year at Christmas, I don't even know who gave us this, the tins. And then this crazy ass brand comes out called Popcornopolis and I say, hell yeah.

• 23:41Benito Skinner?

Hell yeah. Those like, you know what I'm talking about? The like corn, they're almost shaped, like you know when plastic looks like it icing could come out of it?

• 23:49Mary Beth Barone?

  Yeah, yeah, yeah, yeah.

• 23:49Benito Skinner?

They're kind of shaped like that. You can get them at movie theaters now. I mean, I'm jumping all around. This love of popcorn was always in me and my mom loves popcorn. We both have this like same gag where it's like if a bag of chips is open or popcorn, like me or my mom will finish it. You're gonna see the bottom of that bag, but. Then also there would be at the Western Idaho State Fair, there was this thing called kettle corn, which I learned about at a very young age. And it's the kind of sweet popcorn.

• 24:14Mary Beth Barone?

Oh, you know, I'm a kettle corn girl.

• 24:16Benito Skinner?

Oh, I can picture your handfuls, my love. So, oh my God, oh, I haven't even gotten to catch up the fucking popcorn that I was given to by Adam DiMarco this summer. I have so much to cover. I better pick it up. So this would be like a whole thing. So there would be eras of popcorn in my house. During Christmas, we have the tin. We have cheese.

• 24:36Mary Beth Barone?

  Cheese.

• 24:36Benito Skinner?

We have kettle. And then we have regular. What's so funny is that the cheese and the kettle, they are such the winners of that tin. For some reason, those tins are never good at regular popcorn. I don't know why, but that's kind of my take on that.

• 24:48Mary Beth Barone?

Because cheese and kettle to me are better at room temperature, whereas a classic popcorn, I would like that hot.

• 24:54Benito Skinner?

  Hot as hell.

• 24:55Mary Beth Barone?

  Yeah.

• 24:55Benito Skinner?

Oh, my God. Oh, and then sometimes our friend, I know, will make one where she melts this maple butter. And then her and Terry add Himalayan pink salt on it. I mean, come on.

• 25:05Mary Beth Barone?

  This is a mouthwatering episode.

• 25:06Benito Skinner?

  I know.

• 25:07Mary Beth Barone?

And I'm not just talking about Sebastian Stan.

• 25:09Benito Skinner?

Oh, God, my toes are freaking curling right now. It's literally a super cut of dust. So, no. Oh, it's just a super cut of dust.

• 25:20Mary Beth Barone?

  Dice.

• 25:21Benito Skinner?

Fucking dice. Then in the summers, it would be this kettle corn. But then in between, it's like once a week I'm seeing a movie and I'm having a little bit of popcorn. It's communal. You share it with people. I don't understand when people want no butter or no salt at the movies. I'm like, I'll eat that. I just don't think you're taking it to where it can go.

• 25:38Mary Beth Barone?

Well, that's, that's people that want to punish themselves.

• 25:41Benito Skinner?

Yeah. Well, speaking of punish yourself, Skinny Pop.

• 25:45Mary Beth Barone?

I mean, and for that matter, Boom Chica Pop.

• 25:47Benito Skinner?

Oh, don't talk about Boom Chica right now.

• 25:50Mary Beth Barone?

Which is a young upstart on the popcorn scene.

• 25:52Benito Skinner?

Of course, she's the new it girl.

• 25:54Mary Beth Barone?

  The new it girl.

• 25:56Benito Skinner?

So here's the thing, calling Boom Chica an it girl, this podcast, Peabody, it needs a Peabody.

• 26:05Benito Skinner?

So I like, oh my God, popcorn is so fucking good on set. You get me around a Skinny Pop, it's curtains.

• 26:13Mary Beth Barone?

Yeah, I mean, the bag is empty.

• 26:14Benito Skinner?

Anytime, salt and pepper. Oh my God, it's like the salt and pepper of it all on Skinny Pop. Like, it's just so delicious. Also, even though that Australian trainer told me like, corn is the devil. I do think like, I'm just gonna ignore that because I think popcorn is like air and it just makes me so happy. And it's so crazy because of its fragrance. I feel such like warmth and safety when I eat it. It's like, I know I'm with someone safe and I know like I'm feeling good and getting exactly the sweet or salty treat I need. My God, I'm passionate about this.

• 26:48Mary Beth Barone?

It smells like home and here's my thing. If you think corn is the devil, how many things in life bring us joy? How many things in life can just the aroma of just like spark feelings of?

• 27:00Benito Skinner?

Like, I know you can all smell this in your car right now.

• 27:02Mary Beth Barone?

  Warmth and positivity.

• 27:03Benito Skinner?

  You can smell that shit.

• 27:04Mary Beth Barone?

There's so much worse things. It's sort of like karmic in that way where it's like, there's a lot of worse things I could be doing than eating popcorn.

• 27:10Benito Skinner?

That's what I say to people who love diet coke and they apologize to me. I go, sweetie, you're safe. You don't have to do that. I don't need that whole rigmarole of that. Right now, whatever you need to do to feel good, that's not hurting anyone. Maybe aspartame's hurting you a little bit, but if you're okay with that, so am I.

• 27:25Mary Beth Barone?

And you know the risks, you know the risks.

• 27:27Benito Skinner?

  You know the risks.

• 27:27Mary Beth Barone?

Here's what I don't like is popcorn shaming, which I have experienced as a kettle corn lover.

• 27:33Benito Skinner?

  Whoa.

• 27:33Mary Beth Barone?

I prefer, if I'm gonna make it at home, I prefer kettle corn. I like it hot. I put some extra salt on it so it's sweet and it's salty. And I just don't like being like ostracized or made to feel other than because I like kettle corn.

• 27:46Benito Skinner?

I would never judge someone based on the popcorn they want.

• 27:50Mary Beth Barone?

  I know you wouldn't.

• 27:50Benito Skinner?

Whatever the fuck you want to put on it, go for it. And that gets me to ketchup popcorn.

• 27:55Mary Beth Barone?

  Yeah.

• 27:55Benito Skinner?

So I'm blanking on the name, but there was like, there's like a chic.

• 27:59Mary Beth Barone?

  Summer Hill Market or something.

• 28:01Benito Skinner?

Yeah, yeah, it was so, it was fabulous. And Adam knew that I love popcorn and he was like, I got you this, which just like, come on. You don't get a straight guy like that every day. You just don't. Like, come on. And he. Brings me this popcorn and I put it in my story and I'm like, this is, I mean, it was savory. The way they use ketchup in Canada, I'm just catching up.

• 28:24Mary Beth Barone?

  Ketchup chips?

• 28:25Benito Skinner?

And I just loved it so much, but that's where I'm like, I will always experiment with popcorn. It's all fun to me. Of course I have my favorites. I do love a kettle corn. I think I do love like a movie theater butter salt. The best maybe, but that's so hard. I like, it's, I love all my kids. Like I just, it's, it's hard to pick.

• 28:43Mary Beth Barone?

I wanted to shout out this type of popcorn and the brand, I can't remember, but it's popcorn that has nutritional yeast on it, which tastes like cheese. And so it is literally life. I'm not even, I'm not being hyperbolic. It's life changing.

• 28:57Benito Skinner?

When I walk into a hotel and that's on the little cart.

• 29:01Mary Beth Barone?

You're spreading your legs right now.

• 29:02Benito Skinner?

Spreading. I say, give me that fucking nutritional yeast ass popcorn right now. Oh my God, that's delicious.

• 29:12Mary Beth Barone?

It's so fucking good. They have it at like random. If you see like a, like a shop that's made of wood, do you get what I'm saying?

• 29:18Benito Skinner?

  Yeah, of course.

• 29:19Mary Beth Barone?

A little like, what, it's like specialty bullshit. You know what I mean?

• 29:23Benito Skinner?

  Hanging greens.

• 29:24Mary Beth Barone?

  Specialty bullshit.

• 29:25Benito Skinner?

Hanging greens and like, oh my God. It's, yeah, it's like when you walk in and there's a fridge there, but there's also like, it's mostly produce.

• 29:33Mary Beth Barone?

  Totally.

• 29:33Benito Skinner?

And then if you try to get like a Doritos or Lay's there, they're not going to have that. It's like, it's more.

• 29:38Mary Beth Barone?

  It's, it's like Miss Vicky's chips.

• 29:39Benito Skinner?

Exactly. It's like those bodegas. Yeah. There's like, there is something, there's an elevation, there's a Dean and DeLuca fication of it.

• 29:46Mary Beth Barone?

It's a Dean and DeLuca fication. It's, it's artisanal. And on that note of, of being more artisanal. So

• 29:52Benito Skinner?

  Yes, sweetie.

• 29:53Mary Beth Barone?

Here's something I want to tell people who don't have microwaves. You can cut open a bag of microwave popcorn and put it in a pot. You put a top on top of it, you shake it up and you cook it like any other type of popcorn.

• 30:05Benito Skinner?

  Yeah.

• 30:05Mary Beth Barone?

You are not limited by the tools that you have.

• 30:08Benito Skinner?

Think of the person who caught that. Like that is what like blows my mind. The first person to heat that up, heat up that kernel and say, whoa.

• 30:17Mary Beth Barone?

Yeah. Pop. I can't even imagine how exciting that would have been at the time. But also, like for me, a perfect popcorn is two minutes and 36 seconds. And I can't explain why in the microwave. But you really have to listen for when the popping is spaced out more than a few seconds, because it will burn and that ruins the entire batch.

• 30:35Benito Skinner?

But sometimes I do like the smell of the burn a little bit. I just don't want that to be like the taste of the whole thing. But that little crispiness, I don't mind it. And sometimes I love when it almost popped open. You can just crack it in your teeth, all of my cavities and my root canal popping. That is just so, mm, I love it.

• 30:52Mary Beth Barone?

  It's good for it.

• 30:53Benito Skinner?

I love you. Popcorn, I love you.

• 30:56Mary Beth Barone?

Well, it's good because at a certain point, as we know, there's a prophecy foretold. Corn will be the only crop we have.

• 31:03Benito Skinner?

I knew you were gonna bring this up, so I'll be fine. I love it. Oh, my God. And I like, I want one of those like vintage makers and I want to get more like into crafting my own popcorn. Maybe I'll have a popcorn brand. I don't know.

• 31:14Mary Beth Barone?

Well, here's what I see for you. I see like a movie theater room in a future house that has one of the like old timey things. That's like glass and you can like turn it on or whatever.

• 31:23Benito Skinner?

We don't tell Terry. It's like a secret room because it's like it's the cinephile room.

• 31:27Mary Beth Barone?

Well, it's cinephiles only and it's also like it maybe is decorated like a little bit for kids.

• 31:32Benito Skinner?

It's like, I'm Christian Grey. I have to show you something. I have to show you something. Wait, that's what he was showing her. I have to show you something. It's his home theater and his popcorn maker.

• 31:43Mary Beth Barone?

And it's perverse in a way.

• 31:46Benito Skinner?

We haven't talked about it. I need to show you something all season.

• 31:48Mary Beth Barone?

I know, but we know he's out there thriving.

• 31:51Benito Skinner?

He comes alive in the summer in Europe, so I wasn't really there in the summer. So it's like it's hard. He wasn't, he wasn't in us as much.

• 31:59Mary Beth Barone?

Who doesn't love the good things in life?

• 32:00Benito Skinner?

  I enjoy a little luxury.

• 32:02Mary Beth Barone?

Quince offers a range of high quality items at prices within reach, like 100% Mongolian cashmere sweaters from $50, washable silks, topses and dresses, and organic cotton sweaters and 14 karat gold jewelry.

• 32:17Benito Skinner?

14 karat gold. Why don't you just come upstairs sometime?

• 32:23Mary Beth Barone?

The best part, all Quince items are priced 50 to 80% less than similar brands.

• 32:28Benito Skinner?

By partnering directly with top factories, Quince cuts the cost of the middleman and passes the savings to us. Cut all that, sorry.

• 32:38Mary Beth Barone?

No, you have to keep that. No, sorry, you have to keep that.

• 32:41Benito Skinner?

Sorry, I can't even get it out. You're just making me laugh so much because it's like, it's just funny. It really does look like you're in prison. Okay. And Quince only works with factories that use safe, ethical and responsible manufacturing practices and premium fabrics and finishes. I love that.

• 32:55Mary Beth Barone?

As you know, I have my black Quince bodysuit that I frequent a lot, especially in the cold weather months for layering purposes. And then I have my 14 karat gold earrings and I know you have a half button.

• 33:06Benito Skinner?

It's so cute. I have this polo. It is so cute. I wear it with like high waisted jeans and it's very like, it's gorgeous on my tatas. I will say, thank you, Quince.

• 33:15Mary Beth Barone?

Give yourself the luxury you deserve with Quince. Go to quince.com/ride for free shipping on your order and 365 day returns. That's Q U I N C E dot com slash ride to get free shipping and 365 day returns. Quince.com slash ride.

• 33:29Benito Skinner?

Chew it over with Quince. Hey, when was the last time you needed to go to a doctor, but you pushed it off? Made the excuse, what? I'm too busy. It'll heal on its own. I don't need help. Yeah, right. I don't know which doctor to go to. I think we've all been there. Hey, so has Benny Drama. Booking a doctor appointment can feel just so daunting, dude. But thanks to Zocdoc, there's no reason to delay. They make it easy to find and book a doctor who's right for you. And I literally use this all the time. This is how I found my dermatologist. It's how I found my allergist and it might be how I find the love of my life.

• 34:02Mary Beth Barone?

  Whoa.

• 34:03Benito Skinner?

  Yeah.

• 34:03Mary Beth Barone?

And I love that there's just that to look forward to. I also use Zocdoc all the time. • 34:30Benito Skinner?

I love that feature because my intuition knows immediately and I go.

• 34:34Mary Beth Barone?

  Totally.

• 34:34Benito Skinner?

  There she is. That's her.

• 34:37Mary Beth Barone?

  There she is.

• 34:37Benito Skinner?

  That's our baby girl.

• 34:38Mary Beth Barone?

  That's my doctor.

• 34:39Benito Skinner?

  Yes.

• 34:40Mary Beth Barone?

  She's here and she's perfect.

• 34:42Benito Skinner?

I love you, kid. Zocdoc. And you know what's funny with Zocdoc? There are appointments. Like, I feel like in so many doctor's office, I'm like, this is the hottest new club in New York, for some reason. I'm like, I cannot.

• 34:52Mary Beth Barone?

  There's no appointments.

• 34:53Benito Skinner?

Who do I need to know to get into this frickin' office? But with Zocdoc, like, they have appointments. It's amazing.

• 35:13Benito Skinner?

I feel like there could be so many segues, but let's just get right into Sebastian Stan.

• 35:17Mary Beth Barone?

I think it's time to talk about an actor who I've had on my radar since Gossip Girl. So a lot of people don't remember that Mr. Sebastian Stan played Carter Bazin.

• 35:28Benito Skinner?

  One of their best names.

• 35:29Mary Beth Barone?

And I think he was more of like a ne'er-do-well, right? Like, he was kind of bad, but kind of good, and we weren't sure. But like Chuck didn't like that he was sort of like in, back in the group.

• 35:37Benito Skinner?

  Yeah.

• 35:38Mary Beth Barone?

Of course. So he has actually been acting, if IMDb is correct. He was in a Law and Order episode in 2003, which is-

• 35:46Benito Skinner?

I'm pissed that, because now with overcompensating, now we can't officially start on Law and Order, because all the greats did.

• 35:51Mary Beth Barone?

But you know what? Some of the greats did it, like, post their big break, like Hilary Duff, Amy Shabarton. I mean, there's plenty of opportunity. I told my agents, as soon as I signed with them, I said, I want to play a dead body on SVU. I don't like shows about dead women. That is the one exception.

• 36:06Benito Skinner?

  Just one.

• 36:06Mary Beth Barone?

I want to be on that. So-

• 36:08Benito Skinner?

  That's what I loved.

• 36:09Mary Beth Barone?

Many, many amazing actors have come through that.

• 36:11Benito Skinner?

I saw Nosferatu with Terry's mom, and she was like, ah, that wasn't my favorite. And she's like, you know, it's a little gory. And I'm thinking, she watches, like, SVU and Criminal Minds every day and everywhere. I'm like, I love it.

• 36:25Mary Beth Barone?

Well, that show's totally fine, but then, like, Gossip Girl was like- The Christian Parents Association was like, "Take it down, take it off the air."

• 36:33Benito Skinner?

They've seen 10 rape victims that week and they're like, "Dad, no."

• 36:36Mary Beth Barone?

  Face down in the Hudson.

• 36:37Benito Skinner?

But Serena taking her top off, you know, just out of fun.

• 36:40Mary Beth Barone?

Getting fucked in the Campbell apartment.

• 36:41Benito Skinner?

At a fun wedding. Yeah, literally. Oh, it's such a big deal. Oh, I loved when they, in Gossip Girl, when they all broke into that like pool. Was that at the school? I loved that episode. You know, when they all.

• 36:53Mary Beth Barone?

It felt very cruel intentions when they did that.

• 36:56Benito Skinner?

  Okay, continue.

• 36:57Mary Beth Barone?

I wanted to shout out some of Sebastian Stan's other work before I get into the two incredible films that he did this year.

• 37:02Benito Skinner?

  Dating a co-star, Leighton Meester.

• 37:05Mary Beth Barone?

  They did?

• 37:07Benito Skinner?

  Google it.

• 37:08Mary Beth Barone?

I guess I knew that in, in the back of my mind, but since I'm loyal to Adam Brody, I like didn't, I don't like categorize that as like happening.

• 37:14Benito Skinner?

Yeah, but to me, I think Adam's okay with it.

• 37:17Mary Beth Barone?

  Yeah, that's a good point.

• 37:18Benito Skinner?

All roads led to him, I think, in a way, and all the roads led to her. And I think that that's great. How they ended up, like, it really broke my heart when he and Rachel Wilson broke up. So, you know, I'm glad, I'm glad where we landed.

• 37:30Mary Beth Barone?

Me too. Totally. It was the right thing. So he was in Black Swan. Of course, he's been in several Marvel movies.

• 37:38Benito Skinner?

Who was he in Black? Oh, he's the one who goes out with them.

• 37:41Mary Beth Barone?

  Yeah.

• 37:42Benito Skinner?

That night. Wow. Yeah, he's been in everything. And I mean, Winter Soldier. He is the titular Winter Soldier.

• 37:50Mary Beth Barone?

The Winter Soldier. He was also in Knight Tanya. Let's not forget about that.

• 37:54Benito Skinner?

Oh, my God, he was the terrible husband in that.

• 37:56Mary Beth Barone?

And this is so Benny coated. He was in the 355.

• 38:00Benito Skinner?

  No, he wasn't.

• 38:01Mary Beth Barone?

  Yeah, he was.

• 38:03Benito Skinner?

Come on. I, I still can't believe to this day I haven't seen the 355 on a plane.

• 38:08Mary Beth Barone?

I feel like it hasn't been available on a plane. Like, I would have watched it by now.

• 38:12Benito Skinner?

The 355 in front of me, as they should.

• 38:15Mary Beth Barone?

  Well, it's female-led, so.

• 38:17Benito Skinner?

I want to watch the 355.

• 38:18Mary Beth Barone?

  I want the 355.

• 38:19Benito Skinner?

The hottest women from all over the world come together to kill.

• 38:24Mary Beth Barone?

To kill and, and do stuff.

• 38:25Benito Skinner?

What an easy pitch that must have been in the room.

• 38:27Mary Beth Barone?

Jessica Chastain. There are easier ways.

• 38:30Benito Skinner?

  There are easier ways.

• 38:31Mary Beth Barone?

So he was also in a movie called Fresh, which was about a cannibal. This was the first little breadcrumb to me that he wasn't afraid to take on roles that were controversial and made him the bad guy. So I will say that I watched Pam and Tommy. Obviously, it was a huge bummer that it wasn't sanctioned by Miss Pamela Anderson.

• 38:49Benito Skinner?

  Yeah.

• 38:51Mary Beth Barone?

So that's really tough, but I do believe and I choose to believe that the actors had already signed on. It's sort of like when you sign a contract and you're not exactly sure what is gonna happen with those people that you've just-

• 39:02Benito Skinner?

Signed a contract with, which is really crazy about contracts, because once you sign them, you're actually in them. And then if you don't finish that said contract, you can fully be sued.

• 39:12Mary Beth Barone?

On that note, ripping a contract does not make it invalid, just so you know.

• 39:17Benito Skinner?

No, it's actually still, it's like, you doc, you signed. I can't, I sometimes I think about all the things I've docu-signed. I shudder.

• 39:24Mary Beth Barone?

I don't like, I actually don't like to think about it.

• 39:26Benito Skinner?

  Yeah, I know.

• 39:27Mary Beth Barone?

  I don't wanna know.

• 39:28Benito Skinner?

DocuSign keeps asking me if I wanna like, join, and I'm like, I don't wanna log this.

• 39:32Mary Beth Barone?

No, no, no. Oh, and yeah, what do I want? Like a record, a paper trail? No, thanks.

• 39:37Benito Skinner?

No, no thanks. If I don't do this, then it's like, I kinda did it, but not really. That's not even my signature.

• 39:43Mary Beth Barone?

No, I don't write like that. This year, Sebastian Stan was in two absolutely fabulous movies. One, I think the world is ready for. One, I think maybe people need a little bit more distance from the current election, but I watched it last night. So I'm speaking, of course, about A Different Man and The Apprentice. Two powerhouse performances. A Different Man was so moving and so well made and well done. And my god, the prosthetics department, just like the whole look of it, the aesthetic. It might be my favorite movie of the year.

• 40:14Benito Skinner?

Oh my god, and I need to log on my Letterboxd. So this is amazing. Thank you for giving me this.

• 40:19Mary Beth Barone?

This is a really important movie.

• 40:21Benito Skinner?

  Yeah.

• 40:21Mary Beth Barone?

So that's important. And then The Apprentice. Okay, so obviously, The Apprentice is a, the story of Donald Trump and Roy Cohn, who was his lawyer when he first started out being a terror to society, a domestic terrorist in all ways. I didn't really know what it was gonna be going into it, but it's very well done. And I wish it was fiction.

• 40:45Benito Skinner?

He's in things that are well done. Like, I think he's a really thoughtful actor.

• 40:49Mary Beth Barone?

I agree. It paints Donald Trump in a terrible light and they got it financed by one of Donald Trump's like donors. So when people saw it at the festivals, this guy was like, well, this can never come out. And they were like, well, that's just too bad.

• 41:03Benito Skinner?

  You signed a contract.

• 41:04Mary Beth Barone?

  You signed a contract.

• 41:06Benito Skinner?

You doc, you signed. Shall we pull it up?

• 41:08Mary Beth Barone?

Yeah. Unfortunately, we already sent the money. It has been spent. So they did eventually release the movie. It's available to rent on Prime. It's just like fascinating to see how he started and basically that he ripped like his whole ethos from a gay guy.

• 41:22Benito Skinner?

  Well, join the club.

• 41:24Mary Beth Barone?

Mr. Anti DEI. What is your little book based on? Jeremy Strong is really, really fabulous in it. I think they're both nominated for Oscars. The acting in it is fantastic. Maria Bakalova is in it, who I really love. I think it's amazing that Sebastian Stan chose to portray that character in such a bad light and make him look so fucking foolish, knowing that he could become the president again. It's very Fito to me. And I think what I heard a rumor was that no one wanted to do actors on actors with him because they didn't wanna be like associated with the movie. I just think like people in Hollywood are cowards and like, if you don't stand for something, you'll fall for anything.

• 42:00Benito Skinner?

Thank you for saying that. Here's the thing, I feel like.

• 42:03Mary Beth Barone?

  And dear media, click that.

• 42:06Benito Skinner?

Here's the thing. I feel like that is so interesting to me because it's like, well, he's literally like playing like, you know, that I just don't even get that. It's like, it's a movie. So that is the job. But I think so too. I think he's fearless. I like going from Marvel into something like Fresh. I just think that's a really a person who's interested in the work, which I will always shout them out because I can always tell actors who are just, they're in it for the work. They're in it for the love of the game. I've always felt that for him. And what a like incredible, his roster is just.

• 42:36Mary Beth Barone?

  It's an illustrious resume.

• 42:38Benito Skinner?

Can I just say, I can only hope to go from Gossip Girl to the Winter Soldier to.

• 42:42Mary Beth Barone?

  To a different man.

• 42:43Benito Skinner?

To a different man, to I, Tanya, which, oh my God, I love that movie so much. I need to watch that again. I've only seen it once. It blew me away when I saw it.

• 42:50Mary Beth Barone?

  It's so good.

• 42:50Benito Skinner?

Margot Robbie in the mirror with the makeup and he is like, you hate him so much in that. He's incredible.

• 42:56Mary Beth Barone?

He has what we call in the biz range, which I love.

• 43:00Benito Skinner?

  Yeah.

• 43:01Mary Beth Barone?

He won the Golden Globe for A Different Man. To be in two like award nominated movies in one year, who's really doing it like that?

• 43:08Benito Skinner?

No, very few. I'm in this moment, I'm remembering a good speech, which you don't always get, but my body is telling me he had a nice speech.

• 43:16Mary Beth Barone?

And he's 42, which I think is cool to just see people who have had really consistent, like amazing performances for so long. And now they're getting that like awards recognition.

• 43:26Benito Skinner?

  He's an actor.

• 43:26Mary Beth Barone?

He's an actor. Oh, my God, he's an actor.

• 43:29Benito Skinner?

God, we need more of those.

• 43:30Mary Beth Barone?

  We need more of those.

• 43:31Benito Skinner?

  We need more actors.

• 43:32Mary Beth Barone?

  And he takes Nutraful.

• 43:34Benito Skinner?

I was about to say, you're kind of leaving something massive out of this resume, sweetheart. Nutraful, a Nutraful addict, if you will.

• 43:43Mary Beth Barone?

  Yeah.

• 43:44Benito Skinner?

And can I just say, I can tell. You didn't need to tell us, Sebastian. I love his name, too.

• 43:50Mary Beth Barone?

Oh, it's such a great name. One of the top Sebastians, I would say.

• 43:53Benito Skinner?

Do we think it's real? Sebastian Stan? That's a really good name.

• 43:57Mary Beth Barone?

It does say that. That's his legal name on Wikipedia.

• 44:01Benito Skinner?

  Wow.

• 44:02Mary Beth Barone?

So he was actually born in Romania. He is an immigrant himself.

• 44:05Benito Skinner?

  Whoa.

• 44:05Mary Beth Barone?

And yeah, I just think he is, he has such a dedication to the craft.

• 44:09Benito Skinner?

  Sebastian, you're on huge notice.

• 44:11Mary Beth Barone?

We really appreciate your work. Watch Sebastian Stan movies, like support the work.

• 44:15Benito Skinner?

Something tells me he'd love the pod.

• 44:18Mary Beth Barone?

I think so, too. I really believe that. He was in The Martian, for goodness sake. I mean.

• 44:23Benito Skinner?

Whoa, we didn't even talk about that.

• 44:25Mary Beth Barone?

  Yeah.

• 44:25Benito Skinner?

What else? Is anything else that we're missing? Like, I feel like I've seen him. Has he ever like voiced an animated character or something?

• 44:32Mary Beth Barone?

He was in Hot Tub Time Machine. Does that count?

• 44:34Benito Skinner?

So that's exactly what I thought, I thought you were missing. And I fucking love that movie. I cannot stress enough, I love that movie.

• 44:41Mary Beth Barone?

God, I just really hope he's like just wonderful to work with. That would be amazing.

• 44:45Benito Skinner?

I would love him to be a total sweetie. Should we get into Ride or Die? You know what you are, Mary Beth?

• 44:51Mary Beth Barone?

  Bisexual?

• 44:51Benito Skinner?

Well, yeah, but you're also my ride or die. Ride or die.

• 44:56Mary Beth Barone?

Yeah, this one's easy. I mean, I ride for popcorn. I love it as a snack. When I buy the bags with the nutritional yeast on it, I can eat the entire bag in one sitting.

• 45:05Benito Skinner?

Oh, and lick your fingers after?

• 45:07Mary Beth Barone?

And I lick my fingers after. As you know, I do lick my fingers after, like, eating chips and stuff. I feel like I don't see other people do it, but that's just my style.

• 45:13Benito Skinner?

  I do, 100%.

• 45:15Mary Beth Barone?

Okay, good, good. It's not just for kids. Adults can do it, too. If you like popcorn, please don't let anyone take that away from you. Don't make anyone feel like you shouldn't be enjoying it. It's like-

• 45:24Benito Skinner?

You have two fighters here to defend you if anyone comes for you.

• 45:27Mary Beth Barone?

Absolutely. Like, just send us their contact info and we'll reach out. I was one time considering giving up coffee, just because I was like, I don't know, is it bad for you? Because I literally look forward to drinking coffee when I go to bed at night. I'm like, I can't wait to have a cup in the morning.

• 45:40Benito Skinner?

  Yeah.

• 45:40Mary Beth Barone?

And my sister, Vicky, was like, "Do you like it?" And I was like, "Yeah." It's like, I look forward to it so much. She was like, "Then why would you stop drinking it?"

• 45:47Benito Skinner?

Yeah. Somebody told me once it, like, helps with maybe either heart or Alzheimer's, so.

• 45:52Mary Beth Barone?

  Great. Then sign me up.

• 45:54Benito Skinner?

Then another cup of joe, please.

• 45:56Mary Beth Barone?

Please do. Oh, we didn't talk about popcorners. They have somehow made popcorn into chips, and they're called popcorners, and they come in all different flavors.

• 46:05Benito Skinner?

  Totally.

• 46:06Mary Beth Barone?

They sometimes have them on JetBlue flights.

• 46:08Benito Skinner?

Can I say, I think more popcorn on flights.

• 46:11Mary Beth Barone?

  Agreed, it's gluten-free.

• 46:13Benito Skinner?

Sometimes I need the taste of peanuts and Sprite. That used to be my go-to, or peanuts in Canada Dry, but I understand because of peanut allergies, and I just, my heart goes out. I can't imagine not having peanut butter. I think more popcorn on planes would be amazing. I have one thing that I don't necessarily ride for, though, and it's, I'm fine to combine it with chocolate, but don't put it in the bucket, because then it gets melty, and then your fingers will have chocolate and popcorn on it. That to me-

• 46:36Mary Beth Barone?

And it looks like poop. Just like, it just looks like poop.

• 46:39Benito Skinner?

That, to me, it's like, don't fucking do that. I'll dump the bucket and go get a refill if you do some shit like that.

• 46:45Mary Beth Barone?

You don't, it doesn't always have to be mixed media. You can just keep it the one.

• 46:49Benito Skinner?

That, to me, feels like Pasta Gate. Do you get that?

• 46:51Mary Beth Barone?

I do get that, in that it doesn't ultimately matter.

• 46:55Benito Skinner?

I see. Exactly. I think about you saying that all the time. I look in the mirror and think, "Could this matter less?" And then you continue on with your day.

• 47:04Mary Beth Barone?

People should do that before they tweet. I really believe that could save us from a lot. There's so much important shit going on, and that isn't it.

• 47:11Benito Skinner?

And so could Sebastian Stan. You know what? I don't know if he's ever, like, risen to the top for me of someone that I stan, Mr. Stan, but- You've really opened my eyes to the fact that I've been a quiet fan for a long time.

• 47:23Mary Beth Barone?

  That's the thing.

• 47:24Benito Skinner?

I'm ready to speak out and get loud.

• 47:26Mary Beth Barone?

That's the thing, because I do feel like he is really like-

• 47:30Benito Skinner?

  A respectful king.

• 47:31Mary Beth Barone?

He seems like a respectful king, and I'm not seeing him make headlines for the wrong reasons. And that, to me, indicates that he likes acting, and that's why he became an actor. Not like for the fame of it all, and not for like tweeting controversial things or being a dick. It feels very movie star to me to just be like, I give interviews when I want to give interviews, and otherwise, you're not going to really hear from me. Except if I win an award, and I mean, what could be better than that?

• 47:55Benito Skinner?

Exactly. I mean, he's scrappy. He's a scrappy little nobody.

• 47:59Mary Beth Barone?

  Definitely scrappy.

• 48:00Benito Skinner?

  Is that Anna Kendrick's book?

• 48:01Mary Beth Barone?

Anna Kendrick's book, Scrappy Little Nobody.

• 48:03Benito Skinner?

It's just a cheaper cut of dust, and that's kind of all there is to it.

• 48:07Mary Beth Barone?

It's a cheaper cut of dust. I'm on tour. That's the last thing I'll say. I have a few more cities in this tour, and I've been having a goddamn blast. I went to Pittsburgh. What a cute little spot.

• 48:17Benito Skinner?

  I love Pittsburgh.

• 48:18Mary Beth Barone?

And I've been to the Sephora in many of these cities, just for, you know, if I have run out of something.

• 48:23Benito Skinner?

  Been all over the world.

• 48:25Mary Beth Barone?

  Luda.

• 48:26Benito Skinner?

  Luda. Luda. Luda.

• 48:28Mary Beth Barone?

Support artists who are not problematic. That's the last thing I'll say.

• 48:33Benito Skinner?

Yeah, I agree. Oh, new Gaga, but I'll talk about that next week. I still have to process. Abracadabra was huge for me.

• 48:40Mary Beth Barone?

Yeah, and I can't wait to hear your thoughts on it. And so this has been Ride the Pod with Benito Skinner and Mary Beth Barone. We're going to miss you guys so much. We hope you love the new host, and I'm sure she has a lot of good takes.

• 48:51Benito Skinner?

She's gonna eat down. Love you, sister.

• 48:55Mary Beth Barone?

  Bye.

• 48:55Benito Skinner?

Oh, and Carrie Underwood, I'm on to you. Oh, my exit.

• 49:01Mary Beth Barone?

Benny, babe, eyes on the road. Benny, go!

• 49:14Benito Skinner?
