• 1:00Brooke Averick?

  Hello Champ.

• 1:02Speaker 03

  Hey there.

• 1:03Brooke Averick?

  Okay, what's wrong?

• 1:04Speaker 03

How are you? Nothing, I just realized...

• 1:26Brooke Averick?

Okay, are you mad at me?

• 1:28Speaker 03

I like where your head's at. No, there's like some sort of fight happening right outside my window. And then I also realized...

• 1:38Speaker 03

Just I have a flight like right after this. That I really missed, I misread.

• 1:43Brooke Averick?

Okay, what time is the flight? And be honest.

• 1:46Speaker 03

The flight boards at 5:20 PM, okay? We wrap this at around 3:20.

• 1:55Speaker 03

So I want to get there.

• 1:56Brooke Averick?

  At what airport?

• 1:59Speaker 03

  That's such a good question.

• 2:00Brooke Averick?

You stress me out in a way that is...

• 2:04Speaker 03

There's, there's three in New York. I know.

• 2:07Brooke Averick?

But the fact that you don't know, I understand there's three.

• 2:12Speaker 03

I didn't check in yet either. JFK.

• 2:14Brooke Averick?

  That's the worst one.

• 2:16Speaker 03

Yeah, Mary Blas, very looking, very looking forward to it.

• 2:20Brooke Averick?

I can do a lot of bonus by myself. I do not give a fuck, man.

• 2:24Speaker 03

No, I will be here and I will be, I will be a present father.

• 2:29Brooke Averick?

  So...

• 2:30Speaker 03

How are you? How the hell are you?

• 2:31Brooke Averick?

I want you to start thinking about putting your phone now.

• 2:33Speaker 03

I, I'm just gonna simply check in for the flight. Like, that's all I'm gonna do really quick. Now, what I like is...

• 2:41Brooke Averick?

And don't forget to talk right into that microphone.

• 2:43Speaker 03

And what I like is, have I packed at all? No.

• 2:46Brooke Averick?

You are a sick person and you need to start thinking about your life, Coach.

• 2:51Speaker 03

Wouldn't dream, but you know, I did make it to the gym this morning, though.

• 2:55Brooke Averick?

  You should have packed instead.

• 2:57Speaker 03

Yeah, we should do, we should do a lot of things in America.

• 3:01Brooke Averick?

  Yeah, that's true.

• 3:02Speaker 03

But no, yeah. You know, like, what, the first thing that I'm gonna do is pack? Come on.

• 3:09Brooke Averick?

  Okay, did you check in?

• 3:11Speaker 03

  No, I didn't finish.

• 3:12Brooke Averick?

Take a, take a big minute to focus on that.

• 3:15Speaker 03

  Okay, let me just...

• 3:16Brooke Averick?

  PSA.

• 3:17Speaker 03

Okay, yeah, hit us, hit us, hit us. Come on.

• 3:20Brooke Averick?

I still am fostering the young woman in conference room B, AKA Safron, AKA Safi, I've been calling her recently. She took like a week to warm up and now she is becoming, um, one of the great loves of my life. Someone's got to adopt her before...

• 3:36Speaker 03

  Oh, that's not good.

• 3:37Brooke Averick?

Before it gets too bad. And like, I'm not keeping her. That's just, is what it is, but I'd like someone to adopt her before... The more attached I get, the sadder it's gonna be when someone adopts her, which is not an option. Like, she is getting adopted.

• 3:52Speaker 03

Why is it not an option? As you're...

• 3:53Brooke Averick?

I can't do, it does, I can't do three cats. Like, it feels like a lot.

• 3:57Speaker 03

  Is crazy.

• 3:58Brooke Averick?

  It feels like a lot.

• 3:59Speaker 03

  It's crazy.

• 4:01Brooke Averick?

So just flagging that, she is a perfect creature. She'll take a week or so to warm up. That's fine. That's normal. Who doesn't? But she's amazing and would love someone to get her sooner rather than later. So, that's my announcement.

• 4:14Speaker 03

  Oh, I don't get it. I don't, I don't know.

• 4:16Brooke Averick?

Please reach out to Friends of Normie on Instagram. Thank you.

• 4:20Speaker 03

That is just insanely, you have three animals in your house.

• 4:23Brooke Averick?

No, it feels like a zoo. Yesterday, they left my morning trip to the restroom.

• 4:31Brooke Averick?

Rob was on the toilet tank behind me sucking on toilet paper. John was in my pajama shorts. And the young woman was like nuzzling on my leg. And it's like, I have to, I'm peeing.

• 4:46Speaker 03

  Yeah.

• 4:48Brooke Averick?

And I'm open to whatever else happens too.

• 4:50Speaker 03

  There's a time and a place.

• 4:53Brooke Averick?

  So.

• 4:53Speaker 03

No, hey, I like, I do not understand at all. Like, how do we get here? How do we get out?

• 5:01Brooke Averick?

Well, someone needs to adopt her. I don't know how we got here, because this time last year, I would have been like, I don't want a cat. I don't like cats.

• 5:08Speaker 03

Can I interest you in three, though?

• 5:11Brooke Averick?

I will do three. I will do three.

• 5:15Speaker 03

Okay, I moved my flight. I'm gonna be in much better spirits now.

• 5:18Brooke Averick?

You moved it in that time?

• 5:20Speaker 03

  Yeah.

• 5:20Brooke Averick?

  To when?

• 5:21Speaker 03

My lovely assistant just moved it.

• 5:24Brooke Averick?

  To when?

• 5:25Speaker 03

To 8:30 instead of 6:30. So I got two hours now. Now, that being said, I will have to leave during rush hour, so it's gonna be about the same time.

• 5:32Brooke Averick?

  Okay.

• 5:33Speaker 03

  That I'm leaving my house.

• 5:36Brooke Averick?

Okay. Well, I'm glad that you won't be as stressed.

• 5:40Speaker 03

No, right now, I'm here. Right now, I'm present. I do want to show you guys, you've already seen it, because you've been in the stew. Magoo over here. That was supposed to be finished by the time that my father gets here next week. My dad's coming to town. It's just not, it's not like the world, not in my world, that the studio is done. But I do have this lovely piece. Look at this.

• 6:00Speaker 03

This is the napkin from my flight attendant, Caroline.

• 6:05Brooke Averick?

  From Framebridge?

• 6:06Speaker 03

  It is friend.

• 6:07Brooke Averick?

  From Framebridge?

• 6:08Speaker 03

I did this one on my own, because I learned enough from Ray at FFB.

• 6:11Brooke Averick?

  Wow.

• 6:13Speaker 03

  Yeah.

• 6:13Brooke Averick?

And wow, it's really the exact right size.

• 6:17Speaker 03

Did we touch on that when you were here?

• 6:20Brooke Averick?

No, I don't think we talked about it. I was looking at it, though.

• 6:23Speaker 03

No, I mean, the frame, like when I went into Framebridge?

• 6:26Brooke Averick?

  I think so.

• 6:28Speaker 03

Just like me going in and every single employee looking at me and being like, oh, yeah. Um, we all heard the episode where you talked for 10 full minutes about

• 6:38Speaker 03

your new friend that I'd never, that I surprised said two words to while I was actually in the physical store.

• 6:43Brooke Averick?

  It's fine.

• 6:45Speaker 03

  We just like really.

• 6:46Brooke Averick?

Like, nothing can be worse than if I ever see the young man again.

• 6:51Speaker 03

  Which young man?

• 6:51Brooke Averick?

  The handsome one.

• 6:54Speaker 03

You have to be more specific.

• 6:56Brooke Averick?

The one that you were just with.

• 7:00Speaker 03

You have to be more specific.

• 7:01Brooke Averick?

The one, the one I imprinted on.

• 7:06Speaker 03

  Slay.

• 7:07Brooke Averick?

  Slay.

• 7:09Speaker 03

Gotcha, yeah. You ever have a Topo Chica and it tastes like cardboard?

• 7:13Brooke Averick?

  I don't like bubbles.

• 7:15Speaker 03

Oh, my gosh. I'm having the.

• 7:16Brooke Averick?

Hey, yeah, I think that's part of the reason. It does taste like cardboard, always.

• 7:20Speaker 03

Not all of it. This one specifically tastes like dust.

• 7:23Brooke Averick?

Yeah, there's always that like musty taste.

• 7:25Speaker 03

I have to, okay, so first of all, I went to the coffee shop today. Remember the coffee shop I told you I go to and the guy's really mean to everybody?

• 7:32Brooke Averick?

  Except for you.

• 7:33Speaker 03

  Except for me?

• 7:34Brooke Averick?

  Yeah.

• 7:35Speaker 03

  We gave nucks today.

• 7:37Brooke Averick?

  You nucked?

• 7:38Speaker 03

  We nucked.

• 7:39Brooke Averick?

Everything I'm saying sounds like a slur today.

• 7:41Speaker 03

No, we nucked. Me and my, me and boss man, we nucked.

• 7:45Brooke Averick?

  Wow.

• 7:46Speaker 03

  Yeah.

• 7:47Brooke Averick?

Have I been to this coffee shop?

• 7:49Speaker 03

  Yes.

• 7:50Brooke Averick?

  Have I met the man?

• 7:52Speaker 03

Like, I think I ordered on our behalf, but you have, yeah, you've been in, you've been in cahoots with him.

• 7:58Brooke Averick?

Yeah, he didn't, he wasn't, I mean, yeah, he's just not like, he wasn't interested in getting to know me, that's for sure, but like, I didn't think he was like bad.

• 8:07Speaker 03

No, everyone talks about how he's like mean, mean, mean, like, no soup for you.

• 8:11Brooke Averick?

  Wow.

• 8:12Speaker 03

But he is and that sounded like I was doing an accent, but I wasn't doing an accent.

• 8:16Brooke Averick?

  Wait, was that from Seinfeld?

• 8:17Speaker 03

  That was from Seinfeld, yeah.

• 8:19Brooke Averick?

  Yeah.

• 8:19Speaker 03

And I think that guy's like.

• 8:22Speaker 03

I'm not gonna make any guesses. He's just from somewhere else.

• 8:25Brooke Averick?

  Yeah, let's.

• 8:26Speaker 03

But we can move on. Um, so anyways, I go there, I get my coffee. I'm in high spirits. I get home. I need to ask you, like, it could be a potentially dumb question. I like haven't really had fruit in my house since I've moved here. Like, if I have fruit, it's, it's like apples and they're in the fridge, or it's like, maybe I'll get some berries.

• 8:50Brooke Averick?

  Okay.

• 8:50Speaker 03

Maybe I'll get some berries. Maybe, though, like, that's not even something that I'm seeking out. If it have, if, if they come, if they come across my desk and they're looking extra plump, what am I thinking? I don't know. If they look good, I'm gonna buy them and I'm gonna take them home. I'm like, okay, now I'm a guy with like blueberries in my fridge. But I'm not like seeking it out. That's not someone I am constantly all the time. Anyways. Or if I go to the farmer's market, like, I am gonna come home with a berry. Anyways, so I get some bananas. I'm obviously leaving town today, so I get two bananas. I had one banana today. I put the peel in the trash can. And I also want a flag, and I'm knocking on wood right now. I've never seen a bug in my house

• 9:33Speaker 03

since I've moved in six months. Not even a nothing. Like, I haven't seen anything. I get home, I go to the gym this morning, I come home from the gym, fruit flies in the kitchen having a party. They're everywhere. There's six or seven. Where and it's, and, and the source?

• 9:53Brooke Averick?

  The banana peel?

• 9:54Speaker 03

Their, their dance floor, the banana peel. How did they even, how did they even hear about it? Like, it was as if they had, like, flyers around the city saying, we're doing like, fruit fly look-alike contest on the banana peel in Connor's house. Like, 9:30 a.m. sharp, be there, be square, and they all showed up.

• 10:11Brooke Averick?

I, we've, I think we've spoken about this before. I do not know, like, what summons them so quickly and where they've been lying in wait. That's a question. Where are they lying in wait?

• 10:23Speaker 03

  Where are they lying?

• 10:24Brooke Averick?

  They're lying in wait.

• 10:27Speaker 03

So that, like, that almost is worse than having fruit flies, is knowing that they're dormant and then they're awoken by a peel.

• 10:33Brooke Averick?

  They're waiting somewhere.

• 10:35Speaker 03

  They're lying in wait.

• 10:38Speaker 03

Izzy, I don't even wanna do, I don't even wanna give them...

• 10:42Brooke Averick?

  Airtime?

• 10:43Speaker 03

I don't even wanna give them airtime. I don't want them to, I don't want them to know that their name is on my lips. But I do need to know where they came, like, are they waiting or... They must, they're, they're present, they're ever-present, but I'm talking brand-new trash bag. I'm talking, I've, the house is clean right now. Are they in the peels? Oh... What, what's the answer?

• 11:03Brooke Averick?

I think they're waiting in your drain.

• 11:05Speaker 03

  In my drain?

• 11:07Brooke Averick?

Fruit flies don't spawn from nowhere. They originate from their eggs, which are laid on fermenting or overripe organic matter.

• 11:15Brooke Averick?

You might have had eggs on your apples.

• 11:18Speaker 03

The apples are in the fridge, and they were nowhere near the peel.

• 11:22Brooke Averick?

  I don't know.

• 11:25Speaker 03

I mean, I'm almost anti-fruit right now, because why are they, why are there eggs in my fruit? And by the way, anytime you mention "eggs," something's eggs, I'm out.

• 11:33Brooke Averick?

I bet it was on, I bet they, I bet you had an egg in the peel or something.

• 11:40Brooke Averick?

But the good news is the part you eat is, was protected.

• 11:45Speaker 03

No, because there were no flies. And then I opened it, and then there's flies, they were in-

• 11:50Brooke Averick?

  Probably can't see them.

• 11:52Speaker 03

  Oh my god!

• 11:53Brooke Averick?

  Probably can't see them, eggs.

• 11:55Speaker 03

No! That means the eggs are in, they're, like, by, by proxy, that means there's eggs in me.

• 12:01Brooke Averick?

  Stop.

• 12:03Speaker 03

I need to go to somewhere cold and freeze these eggs.

• 12:06Brooke Averick?

I need to freeze my eggs.

• 12:08Speaker 03

Yeah, I mean, well, not, no, I wasn't agreeing with you. We just had that conversation yesterday.

• 12:13Brooke Averick?

I definitely, like, need to start thinking about that. Which is amazing!

• 12:19Speaker 03

Yeah, wait, hang on, if you don't, if you're a young woman-

• 12:22Brooke Averick?

  Yeah.

• 12:22Speaker 03

If you're a young woman of a certain age, and you're reaching the point where it's time to start considering freezing your eggs, now, do you start, you start, you shed eggs, right? Am I wrong about that?

• 12:33Brooke Averick?

Yeah, you shed your, no, you shed your uterine lining and that's what your period is. But your egg drops when you're ovulating, which is not your period.

• 12:43Speaker 03

And, and you have a, you have a handful of eggs, right?

• 12:46Brooke Averick?

You're born with all the eggs you're ever gonna have.

• 12:49Speaker 03

  Right.

• 12:49Brooke Averick?

But I think it's just one egg that.

• 12:52Speaker 03

You just freeze one egg? No, I think you freeze several eggs.

• 12:55Brooke Averick?

  No.

• 12:55Speaker 03

Cause you, you have, you have all your eggs in one basket.

• 12:58Brooke Averick?

Egg drop. How many eggs, eggs? Typically, one egg is released during ovulation. This occurs when a mature egg is expelled from the ovary into the fallopian tube. However, in rare cases, multiple eggs can be released simultaneously, resulting in multiple pregnancies. So like twins.

• 13:15Speaker 03

  Okay.

• 13:16Brooke Averick?

  That's, I guess that's what twins is.

• 13:18Speaker 03

Not, not your ovaries expelling an egg. You're expelled. You've been bad.

• 13:23Brooke Averick?

Oh my God. How many eggs are left at 35? Can we click on that? 25,000.

• 13:29Speaker 03

Okay, that's like a ton of eggs and they're all in one basket, by the way.

• 13:31Brooke Averick?

In this episode of New Girl, they did this like test where the gynecologist like tested how fertile, basically, like Jess and Cece were at like 31 or something. And Jess like had like the fertility of like a 25 year old or something. And then Cece was like on her last egg. And that is something that I attest that I don't want to take, but like I'm very curious about.

• 13:55Speaker 03

That's, yeah. That's like that movie with Justin Timberlake and Amanda Seyfried that's like in time and they get, that's how they're, that's their currency.

• 14:04Brooke Averick?

  I haven't seen that one.

• 14:05Speaker 03

  Oh, it's a fantastic movie.

• 14:07Brooke Averick?

Never even heard of it at all.

• 14:08Speaker 03

Amanda's great. Justin is phenomenal. We were, we were stripteased of this star. If you would have just stayed out of music and his car that night when he was driving home, we would have had such a star. Goodness H. It's like, he was such a good actor. What else was he in?

• 14:27Brooke Averick?

That was so recent. Like that doesn't have anything to do with the decline of his acting career.

• 14:31Speaker 03

  Well, it ruined the tour.

• 14:34Brooke Averick?

It ruined the freaking tour. This is going to ruin the tour.

• 14:39Speaker 03

  It did.

• 14:39Brooke Averick?

We stopped saying that too quickly.

• 14:42Speaker 03

I know. Well, we can bring it back.

• 14:43Brooke Averick?

  Yeah.

• 14:44Speaker 03

I do want to flag also, you're born with one to two million eggs. That's crazy that like six pounds, two ounces. Yeah. By the way, I have two million eggs in, in, in this little six pound, two ounce baby.

• 14:58Brooke Averick?

I know I said this before, but right now in my body, if I decide to have a kid, I have my granddaughter's eggs in me. Is that right?

• 15:11Brooke Averick?

Yeah. Cause I have my daughter. Wait, no, not yet. If I'm pregnant with my daughter.

• 15:18Speaker 03

  Yeah.

• 15:18Brooke Averick?

I'll have her, all her eggs.

• 15:20Speaker 03

  Right.

• 15:20Brooke Averick?

In me, which will be one of my granddaughters. If she has a grand, a child.

• 15:26Speaker 03

Right. That is the like definition of your.

• 15:28Brooke Averick?

So I was in my mom's stomach.

• 15:31Speaker 03

  Oh, that's.

• 15:31Brooke Averick?

Which is why we're so close.

• 15:33Speaker 03

  You have a connect.

• 15:34Brooke Averick?

Yeah. She was pregnant with me. Wow.

• 15:38Speaker 03

  Wow. That's actually really incredible.

• 15:40Brooke Averick?

Speaking of medical marvels, I bleached my teeth last night with like medical grade.

• 15:47Speaker 03

  Sure.

• 15:48Brooke Averick?

  Bleach from the Orbanist.

• 15:49Speaker 03

  What, what product?

• 15:50Brooke Averick?

  Like medical grade.

• 15:52Speaker 03

  I don't know.

• 15:52Brooke Averick?

  Like.

• 15:53Speaker 03

  I don't know why.

• 15:53Brooke Averick?

Thirty, uh, I just said 35% on it. That's the best I can do. And it's the kind of you like, it's a syringe and you squirt it in your retainers. Because I just got like my invisalign attachments removed. So I hadn't, I haven't been able to whiten my teeth in a year.

• 16:06Speaker 03

  Yeah.

• 16:07Brooke Averick?

Like even crest strips or anything. So I whitened, burned in a way that like I have never in my life. I was crying. I couldn't talk. I called it at 20 minutes. It's supposed to be 35 minutes. Or 30 minutes. And, uh, took the bleach off. Gums had been bleached. Complete and utter gum bleached edge. White gums.

• 16:34Speaker 03

That could be ni- that could be nice.

• 16:36Brooke Averick?

  It wasn't nice.

• 16:38Speaker 03

  Yeah.

• 16:39Brooke Averick?

Um, thank God this morning they went back to more of like a pink. But I had thought it was permanent last night until I Googled and like, I just want everyone to like, put yourself in the shoes of a person who thinks they're gonna have white gums for the rest of their life for like, a minute. Like, that is a horrible minute to be living.

• 16:58Speaker 03

Oh yeah, I wouldn't wanna live that.

• 16:59Brooke Averick?

Yeah. So that's a minute that I lived last night. I thought I was gonna be Mrs. White gums.

• 17:05Speaker 03

That's like one of my dreams.

• 17:06Brooke Averick?

  I'm single.

• 17:07Speaker 03

Mrs. Miss White, Miss White Gums.

• 17:10Brooke Averick?

That was scary. So just so you guys know, if you do with a medical grade bleach, it's possible that your gums will turn white.

• 17:18Speaker 03

Did you put too much of the 35% in?

• 17:21Brooke Averick?

Yeah, I did. Way too much.

• 17:23Speaker 03

I just did mine the other night. Mine are just normal strips. I'm doing normal strippage.

• 17:27Brooke Averick?

Yeah, I think I'm just gonna do strips.

• 17:29Speaker 03

But my, my procedure, which is not recommended, if any dentist, dentist or listening, you will get mad. I, basically my thing is like, okay, need to leave them on for 30 minutes. I'm gonna go ahead and do 45 and then on top of that, I'm gonna fall asleep with them on.

• 17:44Brooke Averick?

  Yeah.

• 17:45Speaker 03

Because I can't, if I'm doing anything else and I have white strips in, I'm way too aware that I have them in. But if I go to sleep with them, I just wake up to the zappage to my brain. It usually comes from my front left tooth. And it zaps me direct, direct line to my brain.

• 18:02Brooke Averick?

  Oh.

• 18:03Speaker 03

It's like that TikTok where it's like, you know when they zap you? That sound?

• 18:08Brooke Averick?

Once, I had like such a delayed reaction to whitening strips. It was like three days later and my teeth started hurting so bad, I had to like cancel plans. I was like, sorry, my teeth hurt. Like.

• 18:19Speaker 03

  No, yeah.

• 18:20Brooke Averick?

  It's, it's a brutal type of pain.

• 18:23Speaker 03

I think teeth and your fingers, if you cut your finger, fingers don't heal. They take the longest like hand finger cuts. That's what paper cuts on your fingers hurt so bad.

• 18:31Brooke Averick?

  Oh.

• 18:32Speaker 03

I think finger and, and tooth pain is two of the worst pains you can have.

• 18:35Brooke Averick?

Tooth pain is, thankfully, I've never had like.

• 18:38Speaker 03

  And toes.

• 18:40Brooke Averick?

Cavities or anything related to that. But I've had whitening strip pain and medical grade bleach pain.

• 18:49Speaker 03

The bad part about me bleaching my teeth in my bed when I go to sleep is like, you know, your contacts are everywhere.

• 18:54Brooke Averick?

  Yes.

• 18:55Speaker 03

I have like whitening strips that I'll take out in the middle of the night and just stick into my bed frame.

• 18:59Brooke Averick?

Connor, I do that too. And then I have to like scrape the residual off.

• 19:03Speaker 03

No, yeah, it's really bad. When I have people over, they're like, what is, what is this, that stuff on your bed frame? I'm like, oh, that's just all my whitening strips from days of yore. To me, it looks like a little party. They actually look like old crusty used condoms, to be honest, that I've like stuck to my bed frame.

• 19:21Brooke Averick?

  Speaking of unmentionables.

• 20:26Brooke Averick?

I have to, I have to get a new cleaning lady. She, I, I have a bad habit of leaving like stuff out. Just like weed pen, other stuff, etc. Like when she's coming.

• 20:43Brooke Averick?

And then like I'll, I usually am like not home in the morning that she comes and then I'll come home and I'll be like, hey, and she's like, hey, like I, I like, I put, I put that away. And I'm like, okay, I don't, sorry, sorry. Like, you don't need to tell me. Sorry, I left it out.

• 20:57Speaker 03

  Yeah.

• 20:58Brooke Averick?

But she like always draws attention to it. Like she'll like summon me into my room and then like point to my nightstand. And I'm like, I know. I know what's in there. Thank you, though.

• 21:11Speaker 03

  Where it goes?

• 21:13Brooke Averick?

  Thank you so much.

• 21:17Brooke Averick?

  For letting me know.

• 21:17Speaker 03

It's, it's like your little, like, we were girls together. We're, you guys have that secret. Just the two of you.

• 21:23Brooke Averick?

It's like, I, it's like, fine, everyone has a nightstand drawer, you know? And it's like, just stop talking about mine. Like, get, get my nightstand drawer out of your mouth.

• 21:34Speaker 03

I have to go through, you know how my apartment is, you know?

• 21:38Brooke Averick?

  Yeah.

• 21:39Speaker 03

So like, I have to go through, like, everyone will walk by my bedroom.

• 21:43Brooke Averick?

  Yes.

• 21:45Speaker 03

So I go through before the cleaning person comes and I clean.

• 21:49Brooke Averick?

See, I'm bad at like, like forgetting when she's coming or, and stuff like that.

• 21:55Speaker 03

Yeah, I clean. I do a clean before the clean.

• 21:58Brooke Averick?

  Yeah.

• 21:59Speaker 03

I just, I just need my, I just need my floors. Cause I can't, the amount of dust that's produced in this apartment that has no open windows is just, I'm just like, I'm just so, it really, truly, yeah. We looked into, we've looked into dust so many times on this podcast, we have never gotten an answer. We, we must bring dust into our home, right?

• 22:21Brooke Averick?

  Yeah. Right?

• 22:23Speaker 03

Brooke, I don't know. Okay. Like this is like, if Hank Green comes on ever onto this podcast, I'm asking him about dust for 30 minutes.

• 22:30Brooke Averick?

Here, wait, let me start a running note of what, like, we need to talk to Hank about.

• 22:36Speaker 03

  Dust is a big one.

• 22:37Brooke Averick?

  Hank.

• 22:39Speaker 03

We had a bunch of evolution questions, right? Like,

• 22:41Brooke Averick?

  Dust.

• 22:42Speaker 03

  We have like,

• 22:43Brooke Averick?

  Fruit flies also.

• 22:45Speaker 03

Big Tooth. We could ask him about Big Tooth.

• 22:47Brooke Averick?

  Big Tooth.

• 22:49Speaker 03

What was our issue with the ozone layer? Didn't we have like a suggestion?

• 22:52Brooke Averick?

I was just, I think we were just confused about its like exact location, like the coordinates.

• 22:57Speaker 03

  Yeah, I also don't, I also don't really.

• 22:59Brooke Averick?

  And the hole.

• 23:00Speaker 03

  I don't get the hole.

• 23:01Brooke Averick?

  Yeah, hole.

• 23:02Speaker 03

What do you mean, there's a hole?

• 23:04Brooke Averick?

  Yeah.

• 23:06Brooke Averick?

I have, I struggle with the hole as well.

• 23:08Speaker 03

What, like it's an old sock?

• 23:09Brooke Averick?

I struggle with the hole as well.

• 23:11Speaker 03

Fix the hole? I guess they are trying, but, but it's a big like group project effort vibe. Like it's like, hey, like,

• 23:21Speaker 03

stop. What? I don't even know what they want us to do. I forget. I know the, the straws were a big thing for them for a while. The funny thing about the, the, the microplastics in our body. Like, I know that that's an issue. The thing is, I'm kind of eating plastic because I'm always chewing on like the cap of a pen. And I know that I'm swallowing bits and pieces of it. Now, the thing about the paper straws, I'm eating several straws a week because they dissolve into my mouth and I'm swallowing it. I'm like, oh, I must have gotten, like this drink must be chunky. It's not chunky. I'm eating paper, the whole, the whole straw. I'm definitely eating at least one or one straw a week. Like, uh, over the course of. So like, at what point are we going to start talking about micro papers in our bodies? In our bloodstream?

• 24:03Brooke Averick?

Is who going to start talking about it?

• 24:05Speaker 03

  They.

• 24:06Brooke Averick?

  I think they already are.

• 24:08Speaker 03

  Micro papers?

• 24:09Brooke Averick?

  Wait, micro papers?

• 24:11Speaker 03

I know, I already know about the, the microplastics.

• 24:13Brooke Averick?

Paper's fine. You can eat paper.

• 24:16Speaker 03

  You can eat paper?

• 24:17Brooke Averick?

  Yes.

• 24:18Speaker 03

  There's chemicals in paper.

• 24:21Speaker 03

  Ask me about chemicals.

• 24:24Speaker 03

  Ask me what chemicals?

• 24:25Brooke Averick?

Paper's primarily composed of cellulose, which is harmless.

• 24:29Brooke Averick?

Newspaper, print and other types of ink are non-toxic in small amounts as well. However, while paper will not poison your child, it can be choking hazard. I, I've always been under the impression you can eat paper.

• 24:40Speaker 03

Why do you have that? Like, why do you have such strong conviction that you can eat paper?

• 24:44Brooke Averick?

I've, like, I think there was something in my childhood that must have happened or it came up.

• 24:50Speaker 03

  Were you eating?

• 24:50Brooke Averick?

I know, but I'm having like a memory of a paper eater. Yes, I know exactly who it was. There was a guy that ate paper in my school and everyone was like, you've got to stop eating paper. Wow, this had been buried in the archives for a while, my memory. And, and he was very adamant about the fact that it's fine. Like, he was just trying to be, he was trying to make a statement. I don't know what the statement was, but he was.

• 25:13Speaker 03

  That you can eat paper?

• 25:14Brooke Averick?

It's an example of like, just because you can, doesn't mean you should. But he wanted to do it to stand out. He was so.

• 25:20Speaker 03

What are some other examples of things that you can do, but not necessarily should?

• 25:25Brooke Averick?

Did you just ask me, what are some other examples?

• 25:27Speaker 03

Some other examples, rebooting a TV show, an old TV show. You can do that, doesn't mean you should.

• 25:32Brooke Averick?

I just started watching the paper, speaking of the paper and rebooting old TV shows. Look at how those came together.

• 25:38Speaker 03

Wow, that's an act of God. What um, is it like? I went to watch it and I realized I'm not going to sign up for Peacock for the fifth time.

• 25:47Brooke Averick?

Oh, I wasn't like paying attention, but it honestly didn't seem as bad as I was thinking at all. Like, I had a few laughs. I will say I'm not connecting with the woman from White Lotus.

• 26:00Speaker 03

Which one is that? I forget who's in it.

• 26:01Brooke Averick?

The one from season two, the hotel manager.

• 26:05Speaker 03

With the sun? Oh, whoa, whoa, whoa, the Italian.

• 26:07Brooke Averick?

  Yeah.

• 26:08Speaker 03

Okay. Is um, is Gigi in this one?

• 26:12Brooke Averick?

  Hadid?

• 26:13Speaker 03

No. Can we look up the cast? I know Alex Edelman is in it. The Italian woman.

• 26:20Brooke Averick?

  Oscar.

• 26:22Speaker 03

  Oscar is in it.

• 26:23Brooke Averick?

The, the guy whose name no one can say, I feel horrible. Don't, don't, don't.

• 26:29Speaker 03

They had to pay Oscar. I wonder if they had to pay Oscar. You know, when you're in like, um, like kissing booth, one, two, three, they doubled their pay for each movie.

• 26:37Brooke Averick?

  I didn't know that.

• 26:38Speaker 03

Yeah. I think that's typical. I wonder if they had to pay him, even though it's like Oscar, even though it's not technically like the next season.

• 26:50Brooke Averick?

  Here's the cast.

• 26:52Speaker 03

I thought I knew more people than this. Guess not. Okay, cool. I don't know if I'm going to watch it. You had some laughs, though?

• 26:59Brooke Averick?

I had one, I think. Yeah, I had one. I remember it like it was yesterday.

• 27:04Speaker 03

But you really like The Office.

• 27:06Brooke Averick?

I love The Office. I love the, I love sitcoms. I've been rewatching Friends. I'm sorry, that show's freaking amazing and I don't care.

• 27:15Speaker 03

That's okay. That's your right. Say that.

• 27:18Brooke Averick?

And I realized when I was watching, like if I had hinge, which I don't, as I was banned. My, is it, is one of the prompts like my biggest red flag or something?

• 27:30Brooke Averick?

Mine would be like, I like stan Ross. Like Ross is my favorite friend's character.

• 27:40Speaker 03

  I know.

• 27:40Brooke Averick?

And people really feel strongly against that. And there's nothing I can do to change my mind.

• 27:47Speaker 03

No, I know. No, I know. You've been an outspoken Ross head for a while.

• 27:52Brooke Averick?

  I'm a freaking Ross head.

• 27:55Speaker 03

I know. That's okay. That is okay.

• 27:58Brooke Averick?

Okay. I mean, the delivery there is just something that tickles me in an amazing way.

• 28:08Speaker 03

The more I do auditions for shows and then the more I watch sitcoms and I'm always embarrassed about my delivery for lines and then I go back and watch them like, oh my God, it's supposed to be like that.

• 28:19Brooke Averick?

  Like what? Like acting?

• 28:20Speaker 03

Just like over the top exaggerated for sitcoms, you know?

• 28:24Brooke Averick?

  Sometimes, yeah.

• 28:26Speaker 03

  I think all the time.

• 28:26Brooke Averick?

I think sometimes. I think in the ones with like a studio laugh.

• 28:33Speaker 03

I don't know. Yeah. Cause that's more of like a performance.

• 28:37Brooke Averick?

  Yeah.

• 28:37Speaker 03

I don't know. I'd have to find some example. Obviously like not the office is not like an over the top. Like that's like actual good acting. But yeah, I think like Friends and Stuff is very kitschy.

• 28:48Brooke Averick?

  I love Friends.

• 28:49Speaker 03

  Kitschy is okay.

• 28:51Brooke Averick?

  Yeah, kitschy can be good.

• 28:52Speaker 03

You like, you like the theater. It is a little bit over the top. That's what I was saying.

• 28:55Brooke Averick?

Okay. I can, I can see that.

• 28:58Speaker 03

Okay. Speaking of paper, before like we start.

• 29:01Brooke Averick?

The transitions are so fire today.

• 29:03Speaker 03

No, the transitions are so fire. And this is speaking of fire. This fired me up. I am going to send you a screenshot right now and I want you to just, I want you to just kind of look at this and take this in. Basically last night, I was online and I really needed sticky notes. So I got on Amazon. I went to get some sticky notes and I was like, but I kind of don't want bright pink, bright yellow, neon orange in my house. So I typed in cool colors, sticky notes.

• 29:35Brooke Averick?

  Yeah, I see that.

• 29:37Speaker 03

You guys, they came back with gray.

• 29:43Speaker 03

Like light mint, salmon, beige. It is the most depressing collection of colors that you could possibly ever. It's like sticky notes for jail.

• 29:53Brooke Averick?

It does. I was gonna say it looks like colors that would be like in a psych ward.

• 29:57Speaker 03

Yeah, it is. It was the most viscerally draining, depressing photo that I've ever seen, and it was a thumbnail image to try to sell these cool color sticky notes. Oh, my God. I, I almost started crying, you know, I was like, like, what are these? You can go to hell, you know, and then I started thinking about it. I was like, if someone, if you had, I go to your house and you have your grocery list written on a beige sticky note. I'm stealing something from your house, you know, that's not right. Like, if you have a really important announcement or a really important thing. Brooke, you have last day to freeze your eggs and it's written on a taupe sticky note. You're missing that appointment.

• 30:42Brooke Averick?

I kind of think that like if you had each pad separately, they wouldn't be as offensive. It's all of those muted colors together that's offensive.

• 30:52Speaker 03

I don't know, man. I, it was, it was so depressing to me. I've never seen anything like that.

• 30:58Brooke Averick?

So what, did you order sticky notes?

• 31:00Speaker 03

Yeah, I ordered the bright pink, bright yellow, bright blue, bright green sticky notes.

• 31:05Brooke Averick?

I think that was the right choice.

• 31:07Speaker 03

I'm done stripping my life of these things. I also need them to stand out and be annoying because that's how you remember to look at them.

• 31:13Brooke Averick?

  Very true.

• 31:14Speaker 03

You know, I wanna, I'm like, I'm walking around my kitchen. What is this? This is hot pink thing. Hmm. Yes. Email back my accountant for your taxes. That's an important one.

• 31:24Brooke Averick?

Yeah, I think that that's a great lesson that you learned.

• 31:27Speaker 03

Yeah, like bring back that, that is like childhood to me, like those bright pink things. And then I almost evolved into someone that paints their kitchen white, you know? Scary. Life comes at you really fast.

• 31:40Brooke Averick?

Yeah. Well, I'm, I'm glad that happened to you.

• 31:44Speaker 03

Oy vey. Sorry, that was just an experience I had last night. Did I have a little bit of an edible? Yeah. When I saw that, it scared me. That image of those sticky notes scared me.

• 31:53Brooke Averick?

  Wow.

• 31:55Brooke Averick?

I like it. Who knew that someone could be so impacted by?

• 31:58Speaker 03

Yeah. And Brooke, I was more moved to tears by that collection of sticky note colors than when I watched Manchester by the Sea this week.

• 32:09Brooke Averick?

Are you serious? Manchester by the Sea is like horrible, like in terms of like tragedy.

• 32:16Speaker 03

I'm not discrediting the tragedy that happens during Manchester by the Sea, but I was expecting at least a buildup. The whole movie's just like, my family died, my brother died, I have no family, I'm depressed, my job sucks, I have no friends, I'm an alcoholic. But there was no, I'm like, okay, like this is just like-

• 32:38Brooke Averick?

Didn't he have like a nephew or something?

• 32:41Speaker 03

  Yeah, he had the nephew.

• 32:43Brooke Averick?

That was a, was that a bright spot or no?

• 32:46Speaker 03

It was a bright, they kept, they keep, sorry, if you were like, if this was on your list, you had like 20 years to watch it, sorry. I'm not spoiling it for you. You could have done your due diligence, but I, it was beautifully shot. The movie was beautifully shot.

• 33:01Speaker 03

I think for me, and I, I like, this is probably in terms of like filmography and, and what is it called when you love film? Film files?

• 33:09Brooke Averick?

  Cinophile?

• 33:11Speaker 03

Cinophile. Like they're probably screaming at their phone right now or at the screen. I think it was shot beautifully. I could have used some sort of breakthrough along the way. Casey Affleck's such a good actor. I needed him to give me a little more, a little bit more, baby. Come on. Like give me, give me, show some emotion. Obviously he's completely stripped of emotion because he did like lose his whole family, et cetera. But it was just like-

• 33:37Brooke Averick?

Did he like his house on fire by accident or something?

• 33:39Speaker 03

On accident. Yeah. Cause he was like drunk and like-

• 33:41Brooke Averick?

  That's so bad.

• 33:42Speaker 03

Yeah. No, it's, it's devastating, but there was like no depth to his, the, the charact- like they didn't lend us anything. And do not come into my DMs. I've moved on several times. I'm just saying, I've seen TikToks of-

• 33:58Speaker 03

Hmm. Oh, here's my new TikTok thing that makes me cry every single time I see it.

• 34:03Speaker 03

Have you seen, have you gotten any of these TikToks that are like, parents texting their kids after they've moved out of the house? And they've dropped them at college and they go. This person's like, oh, I'm already homesick. It's my first week of college. They slide, you slide it to a screenshot. The dad said, I called you down for dinner tonight lol.

• 34:20Brooke Averick?

No, I have not seen those.

• 34:22Speaker 03

And it's like they're at college and the house is empty.

• 34:24Brooke Averick?

  I have not seen those.

• 34:26Speaker 03

It's heartbreaking. The, another one, like a mom saw, um, like a billboard of a new movie that was coming out. She was excited to come home to tell her daughter that they should go see it. And she was like, but you weren't here. Or like another one was like, I made you, I made two lunches today, like on my, when, before you woke up, but I realized like you're not in the house.

• 34:49Brooke Averick?

Wow. I've really had the opposite experience with my parents begging to go home, like threatening to throw myself in front of the tea. And my parents being like, you will stay and you will like it.

• 35:07Speaker 03

I mean, I had the same experience. I was like, I'm not smart. I'd like need to drop out. And they're like, no, I don't think that that's an option now. So you can enjoy your time there. Um, no, but they're saying, like they want to go home too. But they were like, it was sad.

• 35:24Brooke Averick?

Oh yeah. My, my parents just weren't feeling like the sentimental piece that it seems that those parents are.

• 35:32Speaker 03

  Yeah.

• 35:33Brooke Averick?

I need to go back in my email. I had written my parents like in a long email. Why I should be able to come home because I was a threat to myself and others, I said.

• 35:46Speaker 03

That's really crazy, Brooke, having writing.

• 35:48Brooke Averick?

I had to, I had to. That's what, a threat to myself and others is supposed to be what does it? That's supposed to be what gets you sent home from places.

• 35:56Speaker 03

No, you have to add, and you have to add. And others is the important part.

• 36:00Brooke Averick?

And others is the important part. Did not respond to my email.

• 36:04Speaker 03

  Wow. Interesting.

• 36:07Speaker 03

I don't think you're a threat to many people outside of yourself.

• 36:09Brooke Averick?

  I could have been.

• 36:11Speaker 03

  I don't know, Brooke.

• 36:13Brooke Averick?

No, I was, I, oh my god, that was like the worst two weeks of my life was the first two weeks of college. Who, oh my god, I'm going back to Boston for the first time since college.

• 36:23Speaker 03

Oh yeah, you sent me that, what is that?

• 36:25Brooke Averick?

  For a wedding.

• 36:26Speaker 03

  Oh yeah, that's.

• 36:27Brooke Averick?

I'm like spooked. It will, the air I think will make me really nauseous. You know how morning air is like so nauseating?

• 36:35Speaker 03

  I don't have that experience.

• 36:36Brooke Averick?

Oh, when I like leave the house and it's like dawn, I get so nauseous. Something about the air makes me very, very sick. That's the same thing with Boston air makes me very, very sick.

• 36:48Speaker 03

Like fresh, clean, crisp Boston air?

• 36:51Brooke Averick?

No, like morning air and Boston air.

• 36:54Speaker 03

Like I don't, I, this is something that truly I will not see eye to eye with you.

• 36:58Brooke Averick?

Whoa, I thought morning air made everyone sick.

• 37:01Speaker 03

No. No. People love morning air.

• 37:06Brooke Averick?

People get really sick from the morning air.

• 37:09Speaker 03

Have you talked to one other person who gets sick from morning air?

• 37:11Brooke Averick?

  I am, like, before six.

• 37:14Speaker 03

  Ask Izzy, ask Izzy.

• 37:15Brooke Averick?

Do you get sick from morning air? No, I love morning air. No, I feel like before like seven.

• 37:21Speaker 03

  It's lovely. It's a great place.

• 37:23Brooke Averick?

There is no, it's like an allergy that I have.

• 37:26Speaker 03

  No.

• 37:28Brooke Averick?

  Like every time.

• 37:30Speaker 03

What was he, was there something that you hated going to and you had to wake, what, school?

• 37:34Brooke Averick?

I'm honestly wondering, I must have Pavlov dogged myself.

• 37:37Speaker 03

You Pavlov dogged yourself in a big way.

• 37:39Brooke Averick?

But I don't, I never really, swim practice was after school. Like I didn't have that early morning swim practice thing. I don't know. I guess whenever I had to get up early, like what good was that ever?

• 37:53Speaker 03

What good is getting up early ever done to anyone?

• 37:56Brooke Averick?

Right. So I don't know. I just thought it was a thing with morning air.

• 38:04Speaker 03

That's really funny. I want you to go and ask people if they, if anyone else has that experience that isn't directly related to something.

• 38:12Brooke Averick?

That's why I don't, I'd never take morning flights, like early morning flights. Like I'll always do, try to do after nine because I don't want to leave my house before seven because I'll get sick.

• 38:27Brooke Averick?

  Yeah. Wow.

• 38:28Speaker 03

  Because I'll get sick.

• 38:31Brooke Averick?

Well, I'll get very nauseous from, from the air.

• 38:35Speaker 03

  From the air.

• 38:35Brooke Averick?

  From the air, so.

• 38:36Speaker 03

Um, no, I don't have that. What, why did we, oh, because Boston air. That's gonna be great. I love Boston. Also, I have a show in Boston Halloween weekend. If anyone, I think it already sold out. I think there's five shows and they all sold out.

• 38:50Brooke Averick?

  Five Boston shows?

• 38:51Speaker 03

  Let me double check.

• 38:53Brooke Averick?

That's a great place to be on Halloween, though, like weather-wise.

• 38:56Speaker 03

I know. I'm really, really excited.

• 38:58Brooke Averick?

I kind of am having trouble hearing you today.

• 39:01Speaker 03

  Is my mic?

• 39:02Brooke Averick?

Oh, you need to like speak, like, put your lips on it.

• 39:06Speaker 03

I moved it a little bit. So, oh crap, has that been an issue the entire time?

• 39:11Brooke Averick?

I, I don't know. I like, kind of am having a hard time. But, maybe it's just me, but yeah, like, put your lips on it, basically.

• 39:18Speaker 03

I put my lips on it. Okay, my lips are on it. Um.

• 39:23Brooke Averick?

I have one thing I'd like to say.

• 39:25Speaker 03

Yeah, what, what, what, what, what?

• 39:26Brooke Averick?

Yeah, I have just something. I am living in a hellscape right now that is kind of like an episode of Black Mirror meets Modern, Modern Love. It's, so, I, I need a Hinge jar. Like, every time I say Hinge, I need to put a dollar in it. But,

• 39:47Brooke Averick?

obviously, you know, had a crash out in terms of deleting that app and re-downloading it 80 times, got banned. The most embarrassing thing to me about Hinge was having to send a like. And I think I probably sent like 20 likes total. And I remember every single guy I sent a like to, because it was like so, it, it was like such a big thing for me and like, I was so like mortified to be doing it. And so I remember all the guys that didn't match me back. I would say probably 15 of the 20.

• 40:17Speaker 03

  Okay.

• 40:18Brooke Averick?

I am getting, I'm not kidding, probably 10 of them are now on my FYP. Who knew? I guess it's because I'm in LA. They're, everyone's trying to be a content creator. They are all making videos about Hinge. Uh, they are having no luck, cannot find anyone on the app.

• 40:38Brooke Averick?

Like, there's no one good in their likes. They go through all their likes. I am like, this is literally my, I deserve this because of how hard I went off. And it is so, I'm living in a hellscape. Like, I can't scroll without seeing one of these men that left swiped me being like, everyone in my likes is a deformed ogre. Basically.

• 41:04Speaker 03

You, um, your profile's no longer active, so there'd be no way for them to know.

• 41:08Brooke Averick?

  No longer active?

• 41:09Speaker 03

  Yeah.

• 41:09Brooke Averick?

But at one point, I was in their likes. And I remember them not liking me.

• 41:16Brooke Averick?

But also like now, like I obviously dodged a bullet, because do I think that women can go online and make videos about the plight of dating and dating apps? 607%. Do I think that it's a little bit icky when men do it? 710%. I do. I think there's a difference. And so I'm glad that I was able to dodge these men. That being said, hurts my feelings in a major way.

• 41:43Speaker 03

Sure. Valid, real. Um, I think we've talked about the the fact that anything of that ilk, like any, anytime a guy is talking about a what, so I guess like, I guess like, girls don't like a guy, hardworking, passionate guy that'll eat their pussy anymore. Like, I guess, whatever.

• 42:03Brooke Averick?

  Whoa, Connor.

• 42:05Speaker 03

Yeah, but like, that's what they're essentially saying. Like, yo, I guess girls don't like a guy that with a solid job that will rub their back anymore, you know? And

• 42:15Brooke Averick?

  Yep.

• 42:16Speaker 03

That is what they talk about. And then that does really well. So I'm, I'm sure they're content farming their experience more so than actually telling the truth.

• 42:24Brooke Averick?

Every guy on LA Hinge must be, is a content farmer.

• 42:29Speaker 03

Yes. That, I mean, it's easy. Like, it's such low hanging fruit. You can't take that personally at all. They're honestly, they're just

• 42:36Brooke Averick?

Honestly, I'm actually starting to take it more personally, and here's why.

• 42:41Speaker 03

  Go on.

• 42:42Brooke Averick?

I mean, honestly, if they're straight guys, they probably don't know who I am because we don't have a like large, straight male fanbase. But like if they did and they're content farmers, like they shouldn't want to like use me for clout. Like the one guy that asked to come on the podcast.

• 42:58Speaker 03

  Yeah.

• 42:58Brooke Averick?

And it's like, wow, you think I'm ugly enough to not clout chase me? That's hot. Is that making sense?

• 43:05Speaker 03

No, I didn't track it because I lost.

• 43:07Brooke Averick?

Okay, all these men that didn't like me are clout farmers.

• 43:10Speaker 03

  Okay.

• 43:12Brooke Averick?

But they're not gonna clout farm me. You would think that would be like a layup.

• 43:19Speaker 03

Do you want a guy to clout?

• 43:20Brooke Averick?

I do not at all. I'm just saying maybe that should even hurt my feelings more. Because you'd think that that like, these guys would be anxious to clout farm.

• 43:31Brooke Averick?

  But they're like, you hurt.

• 43:32Speaker 03

Is it making sense to you?

• 43:34Speaker 04

  Yeah, the second time around.

• 43:35Speaker 03

Can you, can you explain it to me in different terminology?

• 43:37Brooke Averick?

  Sorry.

• 43:38Speaker 04

  So.

• 43:39Speaker 03

  It's okay.

• 43:39Speaker 04

She's saying all these guys are using Hinge to post TikToks. But then when they see Brooke, if they know she's a content creator, they're not using her as clout.

• 43:50Brooke Averick?

Like they should want to use me.

• 43:51Speaker 03

But you said that we probably, they're probably not following it, that we're not probably landing on their FYP.

• 43:56Brooke Averick?

Yeah, but I'm saying if, if we were, like out of the fif, like out of the 15 of them that said no, two of them have probably, two to three that have, that are clout farmers have probably seen.

• 44:06Speaker 03

Well, it's, it's not, certainly not good business if they were, yeah, even, I mean, if they were on there to date and everyone that sees them online and then sees them on the profile knows that they're on there.

• 44:16Brooke Averick?

Oh, I also can't stress enough, these boys don't have followers.

• 44:20Speaker 03

  Okay.

• 44:20Brooke Averick?

  They've got like 106 followers.

• 44:23Speaker 03

We need to stop allowing apps to track other apps.

• 44:28Speaker 03

You know what I'm talking about when you.

• 44:29Brooke Averick?

Somehow Hinge and TikTok are in cahoots to make me miserable. Here are all these clout farmers that hate you and think you're an ugly troll. Thank you for letting me know.

• 44:43Brooke Averick?

Thank you. And like, I need to send you, the shit they're saying is insane.

• 44:49Speaker 03

  Give me one.

• 44:50Brooke Averick?

It's just like about their likes. About how like they, like no one even like remotely salvageable.

• 44:59Brooke Averick?

I'm just like, I'm going to hurt myself.

• 45:04Brooke Averick?

Like, that being my worst nightmare in the first place, sending a like. And now having to see all these men that I send a like to, be like, damn, my likes. It's a movie.

• 45:15Speaker 03

You did the exact same thing.

• 45:16Brooke Averick?

I know, I'm getting my comeuppance.

• 45:19Speaker 03

  Comeuppance.

• 45:22Speaker 00

• 46:21Brooke Averick?

  But it is so fun.

• 46:22Speaker 03

Lying in wait, just, just knowing that there's 11 fruit flies in my, in my kitchen, like, just line dancing. Just line dancing in there. Wait, we asked people to send us questions.

• 46:35Brooke Averick?

  Yeah.

• 46:37Speaker 03

Let me, let me make sure we don't, we didn't miss anything. Emmys, I don't care.

• 46:45Speaker 03

I have this one funny thing that happened, but it's really not necessary to share.

• 46:49Brooke Averick?

Do you want to share it?

• 46:50Speaker 03

  But it's really funny.

• 46:51Brooke Averick?

  What happened?

• 46:52Speaker 03

To me, it's funny. To me, it's funny. Like, I don't know if you'll think it's funny, and I just... I'm nervous about sharing it, but... Basically, um, I went to college with, um, this guy Cameron Dicker, who's a... He's a kicker for the Chargers now. Um, very successful young man.

• 47:11Brooke Averick?

Damn, you really think this is funny?

• 47:13Speaker 03

We're more friends now than we were in college, but... I was on Twitter...

• 47:20Speaker 03

And I came across this, this thing, and I was like, "Oh, I know him. What is this graphic?"

• 47:26Brooke Averick?

  What is it?

• 47:28Speaker 03

It just... A picture of him, and it says "CHINESE" in all caps. And it's just this huge thing, and there's (cough) an alert. It says, "NEWS: LA Chargers kicker Cameron Dicker is CHINESE."

• 47:41Brooke Averick?

  Is he?

• 47:42Speaker 03

Dicker's the first NFL player to be born in Hong Kong, China. Lived in Shanghai for the first 11 years of his life. Today, he became the most accurate kicker ever. But I just, like, that's the most insane graphic I've ever seen.

• 47:54Brooke Averick?

Okay, that... That's a white man, too.

• 47:57Speaker 03

  Yeah, but could you imagine...

• 47:58Brooke Averick?

But they're calling him Chinese because he was born in China?

• 48:00Speaker 03

Brooke, could you imagine they have a picture of you on there, and it says "JU" in all caps across?

• 48:05Brooke Averick?

It does look like a wanted poster.

• 48:07Speaker 03

In clip art letters, "JEWISH." Like, you'd be like, "Okay, like, we are... We need to find this girl."

• 48:14Brooke Averick?

Well, that's less funny than this, because, like, this is a white man.

• 48:19Brooke Averick?

  Is he at all Chinese?

• 48:21Speaker 03

I don't really... It really does just say, "He's born in Hong Kong, China."

• 48:26Brooke Averick?

  I... Yeah.

• 48:27Speaker 03

I just can't imagine putting, yeah, putting a picture of...

• 48:29Brooke Averick?

  Like, American?

• 48:31Speaker 03

  Chinese. It's like...

• 48:34Speaker 03

  Really crazy to me.

• 48:35Brooke Averick?

  Yeah. I can understand that.

• 48:38Speaker 03

Um, nah, my acid... Sorry, we can... That's kind of the end of that. But I... I did not watch the Emmys. Was there anything to note? I was watching Manchester by the sea.

• 48:46Brooke Averick?

  Hmmmm...

• 48:48Speaker 03

Great movie, by the way. Um...

• 48:52Brooke Averick?

White Lotus, like, didn't win anything.

• 48:55Speaker 03

  Huh?

• 48:56Brooke Averick?

White Lotus didn't win, like, anything.

• 48:59Speaker 03

I think that this is the one where it's... It's all voted on by... Not... I guess Grammys is the Academy, but I don't know who Emmys, who votes.

• 49:07Brooke Averick?

Well, they, like, usually win, but it was all the studio.

• 49:12Speaker 03

  Oh, the studio was great.

• 49:12Brooke Averick?

  Yeah.

• 49:15Speaker 03

Well, okay. Wasn't there something else that happened on TV and I didn't watch either?

• 49:21Speaker 03

No. Nothing. Okay, let's do, um, let's do the questions. We had people write in questions. Did you have any, like, really notable ones? I do want to just, like, really quickly touch on, um, a couple that people asked. One, I don't know what to name your baby. I don't know anything about you. I don't know anything about your family. I don't think Burke and I can help you name your baby. Two, post-grad is supposed to be depressing at first. You get over it. It's depressing, then you start having fun, then you get your paycheck. You have one depressing year. Everyone has it. It will end. Hopefully. Knock on wood.

• 50:00Speaker 03

Three, break up with him. That's just a general blanket statement. Four, there was one more. How do you make friends? I don't, you have to, I don't know. You join, you have to join something. Maybe join something really niche that you're interested in doing. There will be other people that are by themselves. Or come to one of my shows and get in the Brooke Connor Facebook group. There's a lot of people that come solo. It's absolutely welcome and okay. And I'll see you there. And I think that's really it.

• 50:25Brooke Averick?

  Whoa.

• 50:25Speaker 03

Otherwise, I'm worried about everyone, just in general. Like, everyone asking for advice, I'm, I'm, I'm concerned about a lot of people. And I wish you the best. Okay.

• 50:34Brooke Averick?

Whoa, I wasn't having any of those experiences with the questions.

• 50:37Speaker 03

The advice segment was very, there was a lot of-

• 50:39Brooke Averick?

Oh, you were doing the advice?

• 50:40Speaker 03

  Yeah.

• 50:41Brooke Averick?

Okay, mine's just like, would you go on Dancing with the Stars?

• 50:45Speaker 03

Do you ask me that the other day?

• 50:46Brooke Averick?

  I did, didn't I?

• 50:48Speaker 03

Yeah, I mean, okay, one, that's what, that's what I was gonna talk about. I knew there was something else that happened on TV that we didn't talk about. I watched Dancing with the Stars for the first time in my whole life. And it was great because, obviously, Dylan shook some serious ass.

• 51:02Brooke Averick?

  He shook ass.

• 51:05Speaker 03

He was fabulous. He was really great. Seeing him cha-cha, like, I just never, I never thought I would see him cha-cha in that way.

• 51:11Brooke Averick?

He's so sweet, cause like, he's kind of like, not shy, but like, more soft spoken, I guess?

• 51:17Speaker 03

  Yeah.

• 51:17Brooke Averick?

And so seeing him shake ass to Milkshake was so amazing.

• 51:20Speaker 03

That was awesome. I also have to, like, Alex was awesome too. That was such a phenomenal performance. It's crazy to see people that we're friends with up there, like, really, really giving it a theatrical performance. Like, it's like, so insane.

• 51:36Brooke Averick?

I think you could do that. You're a good dancer.

• 51:38Speaker 03

You asked me that, and I, like, I really think, maybe not technique-wise, or skill-wise at all, but I would put my whole, like, body into it. I would really give it my all. Yeah, so you asked me that the other day. Dancing with the Stars is not something that I have ever thought I would be interested in. Now I would, like, seeing people that I have, that I, like, hang out with, do this thing, I'm like, they're so good at it. Like, I kinda wanna do it now. Obviously, you have to be at a certain level in your career to be even invited on, but I'll, I'll get there.

• 52:11Brooke Averick?

  You will.

• 52:11Speaker 03

I wanna be there now. But, yeah, that was really cool to watch. I threw some votes. Um, and I can't, I can't wait to watch this go down. I'm gonna wa, I'm gonna tune in to this.

• 52:24Brooke Averick?

Um, I wouldn't, like, truly, like, you could give me, offer me a million dollars, I wouldn't do it.

• 52:30Speaker 03

  Really?

• 52:31Brooke Averick?

  Yeah.

• 52:33Speaker 03

You'd be, you'd be, like, great at it too, cause you're so small, like, you could really do all of those, like-

• 52:37Brooke Averick?

Honor, I cannot move my body.

• 52:40Speaker 03

You'd be a great partner to have, because you could be, like, thrown around.

• 52:44Brooke Averick?

  I'll get seasick. On impact.

• 52:48Speaker 03

That could be part of it. You could be like, you guys could do like, uh, you guys could, well, you could take some Zofran, and some Dramamine.

• 52:57Brooke Averick?

There's just no way in hell. I can't dance. I hate being in front of people. Like, it literally would be a disaster.

• 53:06Speaker 03

  No.

• 53:07Brooke Averick?

I hate my thighs and everyone has those little skirts that are always just like flying right up. Oh, my God, I'd shoot myself.

• 53:14Speaker 03

Andy Richter didn't have a little skirt on.

• 53:16Brooke Averick?

  Well, that's Andy Richter, so.

• 53:18Speaker 03

I have to say something that just like I needed to say.

• 53:21Brooke Averick?

  Okay.

• 53:22Speaker 03

Sometimes it's like not fair to put like an Andy Richter in a situation like that.

• 53:27Brooke Averick?

  He signed up for it.

• 53:28Speaker 03

I know, but it made me really sad. Like, he, like, he's obviously a little bit stiff.

• 53:34Brooke Averick?

But like, what an underdog story that will be.

• 53:37Speaker 03

Yeah, I, I hope, I hope. It's just like, it's sad for me to subject him to a grading system that's not a fair, like, standardized format.

• 53:46Brooke Averick?

  When they-

• 53:46Speaker 03

How can you, they're not, they're not at, it's not a level playing field by any means. That's what I'm talking about.

• 53:53Brooke Averick?

When they give the scores, are they judging based off of, okay, I'm judging this as a first dance? Or based off of just like a dance in general?

• 54:01Speaker 03

There's definitely like a skill level involved and there's like gonna be people who are most improved, but not necessarily the best dancer. You know what I mean? But I wish that they would do like a Golden Bachelorette. That's what, well, that's what I'm saying. What did you, what did you ask?

• 54:15Brooke Averick?

I said, when they, uh, judged last night, are they judging it based off of like, the awareness that this is their first dance or just like in general, the like, skill level?

• 54:26Speaker 03

Well, that's why there was no eliminations last night. Or else like, obviously-

• 54:30Brooke Averick?

So, yeah, they're taking into account that it's a first dance when they're scoring?

• 54:34Speaker 03

It would have been like, yeah, like, it would have been very obvious who got out there. Now they'll have time to like, take feedback and notes. And then the second dance, I think two people go home.

• 54:46Brooke Averick?

  Damn, okay.

• 54:47Speaker 03

But, yeah, I think first dance.

• 54:50Speaker 03

I just wish they would do like a Golden Bachelorette type thing with like an older crowd that dances. I think that would be really entertaining.

• 54:57Brooke Averick?

Like, you want to put Andy, like, in an older show?

• 55:00Speaker 03

  Yeah.

• 55:02Brooke Averick?

  You should tell him.

• 55:03Speaker 03

Yeah, I also think, um, who was, who was the actor that was in The Goonies and stuff? What was his name?

• 55:10Brooke Averick?

  Corey Feldman. Corey Feldman?

• 55:12Speaker 03

He was really good. And he was like an old, he's like an older gentleman.

• 55:15Brooke Averick?

Let's see him. Oh my god, wait, what was his name in The Goonies?

• 55:21Speaker 03

  Glasses?

• 55:23Brooke Averick?

  No, he wasn't glasses.

• 55:25Speaker 03

No, he was wearing glasses, yeah.

• 55:28Brooke Averick?

  Sloth? He was the Sloth?

• 55:30Speaker 03

  No, he wasn't Sloth.

• 55:32Brooke Averick?

  Oh, Mouse, Mouse.

• 55:33Speaker 03

Mouse, oh right. I knew it was like a one.

• 55:37Brooke Averick?

Wait, when I get really high, I do feel like I look like Sloth from The Goonies.

• 55:43Brooke Averick?

  Like in an amazing way.

• 55:45Speaker 03

I feel sorry for Sloth, like.

• 55:46Brooke Averick?

Who's the actor that played Sloth?

• 55:48Speaker 03

Who played Sloth? They should have him on Dancing with the Stars.

• 55:51Brooke Averick?

John. Let's see what John, John looks like.

• 55:55Speaker 03

Sloth would completely throw his, his dance partner into the crowd and scream.

• 56:00Brooke Averick?

  Oh.

• 56:03Speaker 03

Is he no longer with us? These pictures are, are kind of giving me the energy that he is no longer with us.

• 56:11Brooke Averick?

He's no longer with us. In 1989. And we lost him in 1989.

• 56:15Speaker 03

Been gone. But he rest. He did a phenomenal job as Sloth.

• 56:19Brooke Averick?

  He really did.

• 56:20Speaker 03

  Um.

• 56:23Speaker 03

  Okay.

• 56:25Speaker 03

  I have an advice one.

• 56:26Brooke Averick?

  Okay, let me hear it.

• 56:27Speaker 03

My roommate hums out loud when we watch shows together and it's genuinely affecting me.

• 56:34Speaker 03

Hums out loud when we watch shows together.

• 56:37Brooke Averick?

That, I guess I would start by just commenting that they do it and hope that they take that and develop an awareness and an understanding.

• 56:50Speaker 03

I had a roommate in college who every time he would eat, he would hum. And he would hum and he would go and it was no, it was no specific song. It was a, it was just like a guttural joy that he had when he was eating. And it bugged me so bad because I'd be at home, working on my laptop or something, doing homework, whatever, studying. And he would come home, pour a bowl of cereal, start humming. And it bugged me to my core. I never said anything about it. And then I took like an animal studies class and I learned that gorillas, when they eat, they're so overjoyed that they have a meal, that they hum.

• 57:23Brooke Averick?

  Aww.

• 57:23Speaker 03

And it was actually like a base level. Instinct that he had, that he was just overjoyed to be eating and it switched the perspective for me that I was like actually kind of like happy that he was, like he had found nourishment for his body and was like celebrating internally.

• 57:39Brooke Averick?

That's making my heart sore for some reason. And the fact that he has cereals as snack is making my heart sore. What's this nice deal?

• 57:48Speaker 03

It was, it was, um, yeah, it's really sweet. For you, because you're watching TV, I would break your lease.

• 57:55Brooke Averick?

  Okay.

• 57:56Speaker 03

  But, um,

• 58:00Speaker 03

he married my friend. I was ordained.

• 58:03Brooke Averick?

  Yeah, that's so sweet.

• 58:06Speaker 03

He married my, my, one of my best friends from growing up.

• 58:09Brooke Averick?

  That's really sweet.

• 58:11Speaker 03

  And we were roommates.

• 58:12Brooke Averick?

  And you were roommates.

• 58:14Speaker 03

Yeah, that's a sweet love story. They were like secretly dating.

• 58:17Brooke Averick?

Yeah, I love that. Maybe one of them can write a rom com.

• 58:22Speaker 03

They wouldn't tell anyone. We had a separate group. They don't know this. Like, never said this on the podcast. We had a separate group texting me like, did they just leave the party together? Like, do you see either of them here? And like, we were like, we would like pay attention to their comings and goings.

• 58:35Brooke Averick?

Why did they feel the need to hide it?

• 58:38Speaker 03

No idea. I think they thought that we would all be upset.

• 58:42Brooke Averick?

  Interesting.

• 58:45Speaker 03

Yeah, um, I don't know. Humming during TV, that's very something much my, my dad would do. And if I said anything like he, I know that my dad would be like, oh, so everyone's so, everyone has something to say. Everything's so critical. And I'm like, you're humming during a, like a TV program, you know?

• 59:01Brooke Averick?

I would be like, you sure like humming, don't you?

• 59:04Speaker 03

  Oh, see, that's passive aggressive.

• 59:05Brooke Averick?

Oh, I would just like point it out and hope they get the hint. It's just saying, stop humming better, please?

• 59:13Speaker 03

Can you stop humming? Yeah, but being like, are you seriously, see, like, I would be like, are you seriously humming during the TV show? Like, and then they'd be like, oh, like, is, hopefully they'd be like, oh, you can hear that? Like, maybe it's something that they're hopefully not aware of. If they come back at you and they're like, yeah, I'm humming, bitch. What do you, what about it? Then it's, it's time to head out, you know? Time to get a TV in your room.

• 59:36Brooke Averick?

  I want a TV.

• 59:37Speaker 03

And then that would upset me because it's like, well, why do I have to leave? If they're gonna hum so much, they should be in their room watching TV, humming to themselves, humming themselves to sleep. I don't know. I don't have an answer.

• 59:46Brooke Averick?

I mean, I really would just be like, you like humming, don't you?

• 59:50Brooke Averick?

  Maybe I am passive aggressive.

• 59:53Speaker 03

Um, that's okay. I have another one.

• 59:57Brooke Averick?

  Fine to be.

• 59:59Speaker 03

How do I tell my parents I'm dating someone who's my stepdad's age? He's 35, stepdad is 38.

• 1:00:05Brooke Averick?

  Oh, my too.

• 1:00:06Speaker 03

And I screenshotted this young woman's profile and she looks, she's definitely in her twenties. She looks like young twenties. How would you?

• 1:00:14Brooke Averick?

I feel like that's so normal to be dating, he's 35.

• 1:00:18Speaker 03

  Yes.

• 1:00:19Brooke Averick?

I feel like you don't need to be stressed about that. I'm trying to think of like your, so is your mom dating a younger man or dad? Is one of your parents with a younger man, married to a younger man? I guess.

• 1:00:32Speaker 03

  Context.

• 1:00:33Brooke Averick?

Because I don't think your parent could be that age.

• 1:00:36Speaker 03

I think it depends on what the 35 year old looks like. If he looks like he's 35, I don't like maybe have.

• 1:00:43Brooke Averick?

35 looks so different on different people.

• 1:00:45Speaker 03

  Case by case.

• 1:00:46Brooke Averick?

35 looks 25 on some people and 45 to 60 on others.

• 1:00:52Speaker 03

Yeah. I think if it, if it's something that's gonna come up, like let's nip it in the bud. I would try to get ahead of it, even if nothing, no, no one's thinking about it. Um, if it's, if it's a, if it's a 25 looking 35, doesn't ever need to come up. And if someone's like, how old? How old is that?

• 1:01:09Brooke Averick?

Right. It gets to a point where it's like, you don't even need to mention their age.

• 1:01:12Speaker 03

  Like it's the unmentionables.

• 1:01:14Brooke Averick?

It's the unmentionables and then in your nightstand.

• 1:01:18Speaker 03

It is so weird that you get, when you do, like when I have do my laundry across the street, like they're folding up my, my undies.

• 1:01:27Brooke Averick?

  Yeah. It is weird.

• 1:01:30Speaker 03

Some person is touching my underwear.

• 1:01:32Brooke Averick?

  It is personal.

• 1:01:33Speaker 03

Okay. Uh, well anyways, um, I'm gonna put, I'm gonna put my skims on.

• 1:01:40Brooke Averick?

I also just wanna say, we have a big episode next week.

• 1:01:47Speaker 03

Yeah, you guys are gonna wanna tune in.

• 1:01:51Brooke Averick?

Let me just say, huge episode next week. Filled with celebrations and announcements. That's what I'll say.

• 1:01:59Speaker 03

Yeah, and I'll double down. You think that you, anything you think you know about huge episodes, leave that at the dough.

• 1:02:06Brooke Averick?

Let me just say it's huge. And Connor, I don't think you even know how huge it is.

• 1:02:10Speaker 03

I know. I've seen huge before and I'll see huge again next week. I think if you think you know what you're talking about, plop it out of your brain. All you, all you need to know for next week, fine dining and breathing.

• 1:02:23Brooke Averick?

  Well said.

• 1:02:23Speaker 03

Coming with an open, coming, coming with an open mind, open heart, fat ass, and sit that very fat ass down.

• 1:02:32Brooke Averick?

And we'll see you there. And we'll see you then.

• 1:02:35Speaker 03

  Bye, everybody.

• 1:02:36Brooke Averick?

  Bye.
