• 0:45Brooke Averick?

I woke myself up screaming my friend Jen's name.

• 0:52Speaker 04

  What?

• 0:54Brooke Averick?

I had a dream that I had left her alone at my house and then came home. And then my house was in the process of being robbed. And she was asleep. And so I was trying to wake her up to be like, can you help me get the robber? So I woke up screaming her name. But I don't think I've ever done that. Like, I'm not a sleep talker or anything like that, that I know of.

• 1:17Speaker 04

It is so... Were we recording?

• 1:20Brooke Averick?

  I don't know.

• 1:23Speaker 04

  Okay.

• 1:23Brooke Averick?

  Oh, yeah.

• 1:25Speaker 04

It is so ick-worthy, like self-ick-worthy.

• 1:28Brooke Averick?

  Horrible.

• 1:29Speaker 04

When you wake yourself up because you're talking. How humiliating. What? Who are you talking to?

• 1:35Brooke Averick?

Really, I was. I, like, shriveled inside.

• 2:00Speaker 04

Oh, wait, I have to pop my... There's a part of my... I have to crack my back?

• 2:07Speaker 04

In such a way that I can't even figure out which part needs to be cracked. But it won't crack.

• 2:12Brooke Averick?

Yeah, I just wish there was like a Play-Doh machine that would. We could go in.

• 2:17Speaker 04

I wish that. We could all have peace. I wish little things like my back hurting. Wasn't a thing for me and I also wish it for you and I wish I wish. Whatever ailments. Ailing anyone, I wish they would go away. Call me crazy. I'm a simple man. I just wish everyone was healthy and and felt good.

• 2:38Brooke Averick?

Thanks. I wish you would take like. Advil or something.

• 2:42Speaker 04

No, my back needs. To be removed from my body totally, completely.

• 2:47Brooke Averick?

Well, have you tried like taking a? What not painkiller? What are they called? What's like an Advil or Tylenol called? It's not a painkiller.

• 2:56Speaker 04

  Acetaminophen?

• 2:57Brooke Averick?

No, I that's I'm not talking about the technical term. I'm talking about like. You wouldn't be like, oh, Advil's a painkiller.

• 3:04Speaker 04

  I think Advil's a painkiller.

• 3:05Brooke Averick?

  There's no, that's like oxycodone.

• 3:08Speaker 04

  That's like. Um.

• 3:10Brooke Averick?

Pain relief. Try taking some pain relief medication.

• 3:12Speaker 04

Some pain. So it's pain relief. But it's not a painkiller.

• 3:16Brooke Averick?

Yeah, painkillers are more a lot more intense.

• 3:18Speaker 04

Advil is not a killer, but don't push. Him or her. Or them. I don't. I don't want to gender Advil, you know, that would be. Not appropriate. Um. But Advil is a man. Tylenol is a woman.

• 3:35Brooke Averick?

Oh, my God, I I see them as both men.

• 3:38Speaker 04

Advil and Tylenol both being men?

• 3:40Brooke Averick?

  Yeah, Motrin's a woman.

• 3:42Speaker 04

  Wow, Brooke.

• 3:44Brooke Averick?

  What?

• 3:45Speaker 04

I expected this from me, but I expected more from you. Wow.

• 3:49Brooke Averick?

I know it's not. That is like. Sexism, I think, because those are two. Like in my eyes, those are the two strongest and I'm associating with. Them with men and that's my internalized misogyny. And I hate and you know, I hate Motrin. I've been open about that. So that's really fucked up.

• 4:03Speaker 04

You do hate Motrin because. You're misogynist.

• 4:06Brooke Averick?

Yeah, I am. I I'm not. I completely acknowledge that I have internalized misogyny that I need to work out. And we're seeing that very clearly right now.

• 4:15Speaker 04

I think we all do. Would you rather have sex with Advil if he was a man or Tylenol if he was a man?

• 4:20Brooke Averick?

I you know, I. I can't. I've told you a million times that I'm more attracted to Advil.

• 4:26Speaker 04

You so are such an Advil-

• 4:28Brooke Averick?

I'm an Advil girl, which is like you need, I need to be careful.

• 4:31Speaker 04

You really do because Advil will cheat on you.

• 4:34Brooke Averick?

It's also not good for your stomach.

• 4:35Speaker 04

It's not good for your stomach.

• 4:37Brooke Averick?

  Yeah.

• 4:38Speaker 04

Advil's kind of like that type of, of guy that would love bomb you and then love bomb someone else the next day.

• 4:46Brooke Averick?

It's interesting because we have like a supplement for like so many things, like instead of, people are like, oh, here, instead of taking your Lexapro, take Ashwagandha or whatever.

• 4:56Speaker 04

  Yeah.

• 4:56Brooke Averick?

I'm not endorsing that, but that's just like what people say. Like, why is there not a supplement for pain relief? There, maybe there is, but like, what's the Ashwagandha of the ibuprofen community?

• 5:08Speaker 04

My mom always says turmeric and ginger because ginger is anti-inflammatory and turmeric-

• 5:14Brooke Averick?

  Yeah, nice.

• 5:15Speaker 04

  Yeah.

• 5:15Brooke Averick?

Yeah, nice. I think you're right.

• 5:17Speaker 04

I think, I'm on this, I can't remember what turmeric does. It's good for you.

• 5:22Brooke Averick?

  I'm sure.

• 5:23Speaker 04

  And that's one of those-

• 5:24Brooke Averick?

But ginger's also good for nausea.

• 5:27Speaker 04

  Ginger's kind of a heal-all.

• 5:29Brooke Averick?

I like, will have, will like gorge on sushi ginger and convince myself that I'm like really taking care of myself for the week.

• 5:36Speaker 04

The pickled ginger? No, Brooke, me too. I'm like, let me get one more dish of that.

• 5:40Brooke Averick?

  Yeah.

• 5:41Speaker 04

Another dish of ginger for your mercury poisoning?

• 5:44Brooke Averick?

That's, the one thing you and I can both agree on is that like, we need heaps of ginge.

• 5:50Speaker 04

Yeah. Usually it's just me and someone, someone else at the table takes my wasabi too.

• 5:56Brooke Averick?

I've started recently getting into like a little dollop of wasabi.

• 6:01Speaker 04

  No.

• 6:01Brooke Averick?

Because listen to this. At Sushi Fumi, they put the smallest little piece like under the sashimi. It's on the rice. So it's like in between the fish and the rice. The smallest bit you would never know unless you're dissecting and it, it adds, and you've had it so many times, you've never noticed. It just, it adds, it's such a small bit Connor, but it really packs that special punch that makes sushi fumi what it is.

• 6:29Speaker 04

I don't know about all that. I don't like that they-

• 6:31Brooke Averick?

I'm telling you, you've eaten it and loved it.

• 6:32Speaker 04

I don't like that they snuck it in on my roll.

• 6:35Brooke Averick?

That's the only, it's like a baby, like- Blending their vegetables into their milkshake.

• 6:40Speaker 04

  I have.

• 6:41Brooke Averick?

Sometimes you need, you need to be deceived.

• 6:43Speaker 04

No, I agree. I, I am all for deception, by the way.

• 6:48Brooke Averick?

  I know you are.

• 6:49Speaker 04

But there's some things where I'm like, I already like the taste, like no need to force this on me without my consent. I didn't consent to the wasabi.

• 6:58Brooke Averick?

It, I'm, it does make it better. It's crazy.

• 7:00Speaker 04

I didn't consent to the wasabi. Yes, I ordered it and yes, it's on the list of ingredients on the thing that I ordered, but I didn't consent to that. You need to be more, it needs to be embold.

• 7:09Brooke Averick?

Next time, next time you come to Los Angeles, we'll have to go back now that you know.

• 7:16Speaker 04

I do love jalapeno on my sushi magush.

• 7:21Brooke Averick?

  I don't like jalapenos. That's too spicy.

• 7:25Speaker 04

  Ah, but wasabi's fine.

• 7:26Brooke Averick?

Wasabi is fine. Cannot do jalapenos.

• 7:29Speaker 04

Wasabi is so hot. Like I feel like I'm gonna get like a UTI every time I have a little bit of wasabi on accident.

• 7:35Brooke Averick?

I see. I feel that way about a jalapeno. Wait, speaking of mercury poisoning.

• 7:39Speaker 04

  Yes.

• 7:40Brooke Averick?

Let me tell you about my new hyperfixation food.

• 7:43Speaker 04

  Hit me.

• 7:44Brooke Averick?

Which you won't be able to access. One, because you don't like it and two, because it's Arowan specific.

• 7:51Brooke Averick?

But at Arowan, they have these triangle sushis, sushi sandwiches, sushi triangles. Okay. And they come in spicy tuna.

• 8:02Brooke Averick?

Okay. Are you following me? Seabed on the outside, rice, spicy tuna in a triangle. Okay. And I was getting the spicy tuna one. There's spicy tuna and cooked tuna.

• 8:13Speaker 04

  Okay.

• 8:14Brooke Averick?

So I was like, obviously I'm gonna get the spicy tuna one. Cause like, who doesn't love spicy tuna? And it was just fine.

• 8:19Speaker 04

  Tuna.

• 8:19Brooke Averick?

It was just fine. Yeah, but spicy tuna is always the more exciting option.

• 8:23Speaker 04

  Yeah, I agree.

• 8:24Brooke Averick?

But then I was like, let me try the cooked tuna one. And I didn't even know what they meant by that. But it is literally like tuna, like a tuna fish sandwich, but sushi. It is. I'm not kidding. The best, I have had like 16 in the past week.

• 8:42Speaker 04

How is it sushi if it's cooked?

• 8:45Speaker 04

  There, I said it.

• 8:46Brooke Averick?

  I don't, I guess it's not sushi.

• 8:48Speaker 04

  Okay.

• 8:49Brooke Averick?

But it, it, it is, because it's got the rice and the seaweed. It's sushi in nurture, but not nature. Thanks.

• 8:57Speaker 04

  Oh, I see.

• 8:59Brooke Averick?

It is so good. It's so good. And I don't think if you don't like tuna fish, then you won't like it. But it is truly, if you guys have access to an Erawan. I'm never saying it right. Erawan, Erawan.

• 9:16Speaker 04

  You did.

• 9:17Brooke Averick?

It's, oh, I always get tripped up on it, on it. So, thank you. Um, but it's so good.

• 9:25Speaker 04

So like the only, honestly, I have put some respect on Erawan's name because.

• 9:29Brooke Averick?

  Erawan?

• 9:30Speaker 04

They're, they are the only, what would you call them? It's like hardly a chain. It's like a lazy chain. It's like a bracelet.

• 9:37Brooke Averick?

  Venue?

• 9:39Speaker 04

Yeah. They're like the only grocery venue that like, really is like, no, we're not leaving. We're not expanding. We're gonna actually price gouge everyone exactly where we are to make our money. But we're not going to New York. And we're not going to Austin.

• 9:57Brooke Averick?

Have they been adamant about that? Or do you think it's something that could possibly be in the works?

• 10:01Speaker 04

Obviously, we've been careful recently about like, not shit talking certain things so that we can maybe work with them or like get invited to stuff. I've heard bad things about, like gnarly things, not bad things, gnarly things about the people that operate Erawan from like a top level.

• 10:20Brooke Averick?

  Okay.

• 10:21Speaker 04

And they are tight asses. Their asses are tight.

• 10:25Brooke Averick?

  Okay.

• 10:26Speaker 04

And I think that they are kind of, I don't think they've even had the, they've probably had the conversation actually. Being like,

• 10:34Speaker 04

what about New York? Um, what about Austin? What about Chicago? And I bet they've been like, no.

• 10:43Brooke Averick?

I mean, they would make so much money. So it's interesting.

• 10:47Speaker 04

I seriously feel like they make, I think there would be something to be said about tourism to Los Angeles for Arowan. Like, I wonder what that is. You know what I mean?

• 10:57Brooke Averick?

Like, you're saying the Los Angeles, like, economy booms because of the Arowan tourism industry?

• 11:04Speaker 04

  I, I do wonder.

• 11:06Brooke Averick?

Like, the governor is like, you can't expand.

• 11:09Speaker 04

The guy, um, that honestly is probably one of the governor's priorities right now. But the, the lack of expansion of Arowan. Um, but I, I don't know, but I feel like when I go to Arowan, the one next to my old house, it was always tourists, the whole store. Like, it was almost impossible to move around. It was like, they're taking pictures and they're ordering the Haley B. Bear smoothie.

• 11:32Brooke Averick?

Yeah, I was gonna say, it's mostly like the line for the smoothies.

• 11:35Speaker 04

Yeah, I've had one smoothie at Arowan ever.

• 11:38Brooke Averick?

I don't think I've ever had one. I didn't really start liking Arowan until I got into my tuna triangles.

• 11:44Speaker 04

  And.

• 11:44Brooke Averick?

  And that cookie.

• 11:46Speaker 04

  Oh, Brooke.

• 11:47Brooke Averick?

I can't stop getting that cookie.

• 11:49Speaker 04

Oh, I know. I know the cookie.

• 11:52Brooke Averick?

If you know the cookie, you know the cookie.

• 11:54Speaker 04

Oh, y'all, there's this cookie. It's called the double chocolate chunk.

• 11:58Brooke Averick?

  I think it's mad chip.

• 11:59Speaker 04

Mad chip, so sorry. It's not called double chocolate chunk at all. I don't know why I lied for no reason.

• 12:04Brooke Averick?

I mean, I think you were just describing, describing the cookie. It's a chocolate chip cookie.

• 12:08Speaker 04

Word for word, I said, that was such an Advil move of me to say that it was called the double chocolate chunk when it's not at all. It's called the mad chip. You're right.

• 12:15Brooke Averick?

  Fine.

• 12:16Speaker 04

And that was such a Motrin move. Motrin mommy and Advil asshole over here making up words. And by the way, I am, I am absolutely on my knees just bowing down to a chocolate chip cookie. Like, that is my kryptonite. It's my Achilles heel. That is my mad chip cookie. And this cookie.

• 12:42Brooke Averick?

It's the best, it's the best cookie I've ever had.

• 12:44Speaker 04

It leaves me speechless. I have, I have nothing to say.

• 12:46Brooke Averick?

You know why? I think I've been able to figure it out. Me thinking I've like completely cracked like the nuclear codes, but I think it's because it's made with brown sugar.

• 12:55Speaker 04

I was talking about a cookie.

• 12:58Speaker 04

For five minutes. No, you're right. You're right. It is.

• 13:01Brooke Averick?

There's like some sort of like je ne sais quoi to it. There's a je ne sais quoi. That is. I mean, anyway, if you're in LA.

• 13:13Brooke Averick?

Go to Arwana and get tuna triangle cooked.

• 13:18Brooke Averick?

And the mad chip cookie. Forget about the smoothies.

• 13:22Speaker 04

Right. Forget about the smoothies. Genuinely forget about the smoothies. Go to Cold Stone Creamery and get. A shake. It's the same exact thing. They're gonna trick you and they're gonna be like, it's healthy. It's not healthy.

• 13:38Brooke Averick?

I do wonder in terms of mercury poisoning. Because I have had a tuna triangle every day for the past. Three to four weeks.

• 13:47Brooke Averick?

It's not a lot of tuna in there, so maybe it's completely fine because it's like you can have tuna. You can have tuna a few times a week, so maybe this is like having tuna a few times a week, even though I'm having it every day because it's a small amount.

• 14:00Speaker 04

Everything in moderation. Also, who said mercury was bad for you?

• 14:04Brooke Averick?

  I think science.

• 14:06Speaker 04

Okay. Well. Science continues to be. Something that I believe in, in my household. Um, however. There's an exception to every rule and maybe we see down the line that mercury maybe isn't so bad. Maybe we have a lot of. Things in common with mercury, maybe more than we originally had thought.

• 14:25Brooke Averick?

I am like always so curious about mercury poisoning, but Izzy had it.

• 14:30Speaker 04

  Izzy, you had mercury poisoning?

• 14:32Speaker 05

Yeah, in high school I used to eat sushi like every day.

• 14:36Speaker 04

You got mercury poisoning from sushi? We've been joking about that for about three and a half years.

• 14:40Brooke Averick?

  She told us that.

• 14:42Speaker 04

Wow. My memory is about. One day. But wow, Izzy, what happens when you get mercury poisoning?

• 14:52Speaker 05

I just threw up a lot and like was shitting my pants, but.

• 14:56Speaker 04

  Okay.

• 14:58Speaker 05

  I'm sure it gets.

• 14:59Brooke Averick?

I wouldn't be able to tell if I had mercury poisoning.

• 15:01Speaker 04

  I wouldn't either.

• 15:02Speaker 05

I thought it was mercury poisoning.

• 15:04Brooke Averick?

Just a day in the life.

• 15:05Speaker 04

  How long did it last?

• 15:08Speaker 05

Um, I think it was like three days. I stayed home from school.

• 15:11Speaker 04

Okay. Is there any long-term health effects of mercury poisoning?

• 15:16Speaker 05

  Maybe a weak pelvis. I don't know.

• 15:18Speaker 04

  A weak pelvis?

• 15:20Brooke Averick?

Maybe that's what led to her. Mm hmm. Her broken feet.

• 15:22Speaker 04

Oh geez, Izzy, the last thing you need is a weak pelvis.

• 15:26Speaker 05

  I know.

• 15:28Speaker 04

  Um.

• 15:29Brooke Averick?

But I, yeah, I always thought of mercury poisoning as something that would like last. I don't know. I obviously don't know.

• 15:36Speaker 04

  Yeah, I thought.

• 15:37Brooke Averick?

I want to be clear about that.

• 15:38Speaker 04

I, well, also, I don't know, and I'm guessing also double chocolate chunk vibes here, like me just making stuff up. But I thought it was like chronic illness. Like you can't move and you turn like green.

• 15:48Brooke Averick?

Well, that's what confuses me about so many things now. Cause like, like Lyme's disease. There are some people that are like, oh yeah, I had Lyme's disease when I was little. And then there are some people that are like, I have Lyme's disease like chronically. So I'm like, which, I don't get it.

• 16:04Brooke Averick?

And even when I like look it up, it's, I think it's like actually like people disagree on it. So.

• 16:10Speaker 04

  I have seen that. That's.

• 16:11Brooke Averick?

I can't take a stance right now due to lack of info.

• 16:15Speaker 04

  I can't take a stance.

• 16:16Brooke Averick?

But maybe it's one of those things.

• 16:17Speaker 04

Yeah, I can't take a stance because I'm scared of the one really tough young woman with Lyme's disease that's going to show up at my house. Like I just.

• 16:24Brooke Averick?

  Imagine how I feel.

• 16:25Speaker 04

  Yeah.

• 16:27Brooke Averick?

  But.

• 16:28Speaker 04

There is one beefcake out there with Lyme's disease. It's going to take this very personally that we don't know, but we will educate ourselves shortly.

• 16:36Brooke Averick?

Yeah, I'll go on a Wikipedia spiral when I get home. I can, I can promise you that.

• 16:40Speaker 04

Of course. And we encourage everyone, everyone to look up Lyme's disease today.

• 16:45Brooke Averick?

  We know we will.

• 16:46Speaker 04

I just know about ticks. Like, that's all I heard. We didn't have ticks in Texas at all. So I didn't, I didn't have any interactions with those young ticks and.

• 16:55Brooke Averick?

There are the deer ticks too, Connor.

• 16:57Speaker 04

And the deer ticks and the deer ticks.

• 16:59Brooke Averick?

I had so many ticks always.

• 17:02Speaker 04

  The most.

• 17:04Speaker 04

Creepy thing in the world to me. I think because we didn't experience it is that like a bug buries its head into your leg and like drinks your blood like.

• 17:12Brooke Averick?

No Connor, I will never. Ooh, it's like chills. I was doing a lice check for my preschoolers.

• 17:22Speaker 04

  I'm gonna barf this.

• 17:23Brooke Averick?

Yeah, you will. And this one sweet angel, she did not have lice, but when I tell you.

• 17:29Speaker 04

  No.

• 17:30Brooke Averick?

The tick had must have been there for months.

• 17:33Speaker 04

  No.

• 17:34Brooke Averick?

It had so, I don't know how she had any blood left. It was the size of her head. I don't know how we didn't see it before. It was like, I was completely gagged out. And we can't do anything. You have to like call her parents to ta- it was like, oh my God, it was, it was truly like that. They are real life vampires.

• 17:54Speaker 04

They're just like such little fatties. Like I can't believe that they bury their heads and then just suck away.

• 18:01Brooke Averick?

  Yeah.

• 18:02Speaker 04

Oh, it's so nasty. Again, we did not have ticks. We had um, chiggers.

• 18:08Brooke Averick?

  A what?

• 18:09Speaker 04

Yeah, I know. It sounds like insane and but it's they were called, I want to double check that that's what they're called. Um, before we continue. Um. Now that I said it.

• 18:23Brooke Averick?

  What's a berry? Oh, yeah.

• 18:24Speaker 04

Oh, it's a berry bug. I mean, when I typed in chiggers, that's what comes up as a berry bug. They're so tiny.

• 18:31Brooke Averick?

  Yeah, me too.

• 18:32Speaker 04

And they bite you. They like same thing as ticks, but they're like mini. And they bite you and they do the same thing, but they don't like grow in size. They don't look like, you know, a growth on your body. Um, but they're invisible to the naked eye. And you just feel them and they're it, there's an itchy bump and then you have to paint over them with clear nail polish.

• 18:51Brooke Averick?

  There's no way.

• 18:53Speaker 04

  And that's how they suck.

• 18:54Brooke Averick?

  Who found that out?

• 18:54Speaker 04

That's a good question. And like now, like there's things that I remember in my brain that I definitely did that I'm like. What? What are you talking about? What? You painted clear napalm all over your body?

• 19:10Speaker 04

Cause you had chiggers? Like, it all sounds made up.

• 19:13Brooke Averick?

It does sound like a novel, like a fantasy.

• 19:16Speaker 04

  That's my life.

• 19:17Brooke Averick?

  Truly. Like Polyjuice Potion.

• 19:21Speaker 04

It's my life. It's my life. Don't you forget. It's my life. It never ends.

Welcome back to BirkinConor Make a Podcast.

• 20:21Speaker 04

Welcome, by the way, back to BirkinConor Make a Podcast.

• 20:23Brooke Averick?

Good. I'm like having a really weird

• 20:27Brooke Averick?

like concept of time right now. Cause like I was just in New York. Right now is Wednesday. We were, I was in New York, as you were you, as you live there on Wednesday through Friday, but I feel like that was 16 weeks ago.

• 20:41Speaker 04

  No, I wouldn't.

• 20:43Speaker 04

I, I couldn't sleep last night, to be, to be fair, because I kept waking up being like, did I skip last week's episode? It's so long ago.

• 20:53Brooke Averick?

Something feels off. We did last week's episode one day early and I don't know why. I feel like I have not been here for months, but also I was in New York months ago. I don't know. I feel like I've lived 15 lives, but also nothing's happened.

• 21:09Speaker 04

  Nothing's happened.

• 21:11Brooke Averick?

But New York was very fun.

• 21:15Speaker 04

You'd love it here. You're crazy.

• 21:16Brooke Averick?

  I'm like getting nervous.

• 21:19Speaker 04

I know. I see it in your eyes.

• 21:22Brooke Averick?

It's not that I love it.

• 21:24Speaker 04

I think you drive it a little bit.

• 21:26Brooke Averick?

There are so many things in New York that I'm like, I wish I was here for this all the time. Like to be like close to to Broadway and there are so many opportunities that I like could have had if I lived in New York. Like with people that I love on Broadway and stuff like that. So that's but like, is that a reason to move across the country? You know?

• 21:45Speaker 04

  I mean.

• 21:46Brooke Averick?

But also the book, the publishing community is there.

• 21:49Speaker 04

  The book community is here.

• 21:52Brooke Averick?

  My family.

• 21:54Speaker 04

You'd be very close to your family.

• 21:57Brooke Averick?

  Yeah, I don't know. I don't know, man. I don't know. I'm I'm feeling, I don't know, but I just love my apartment here.

• 22:04Speaker 04

  I know. I know, man.

• 22:06Brooke Averick?

  I don't, man, I don't know, man.

• 22:08Speaker 04

Man, I do. I do know. And get it. I totally get it. I.

• 22:13Brooke Averick?

It's nice to be able to walk over over there, but not in that climate.

• 22:18Speaker 04

  It is hot today.

• 22:19Brooke Averick?

What do you mean by hot?

• 22:21Speaker 04

Let me check. Okay, it's 60.

• 22:24Brooke Averick?

  Oh, okay.

• 22:25Speaker 04

So I feel hot. I went out in a jacket, which by the way, you'll notice right now that I'm in a hotel.

• 22:30Brooke Averick?

Oh, yeah. Tell us about that.

• 22:33Speaker 04

  Don't have wifi.

• 22:36Speaker 04

  In my new APT.

• 22:38Brooke Averick?

But you're in your new apartment.

• 22:39Speaker 04

I moved in. Yeah, yeah, yeah.

• 22:40Brooke Averick?

  Do you love?

• 22:43Speaker 04

  Rook, it is so perfect.

• 22:48Brooke Averick?

  Connor.

• 22:49Speaker 04

It is so perfect, you guys.

• 22:51Brooke Averick?

You deserve a place that you like.

• 22:54Speaker 04

I was speechless, I was without words. I don't know, like I have no furniture.

• 23:02Brooke Averick?

  You don't need it.

• 23:04Speaker 04

Like I got an air mattress and I got sheets and towels and soap and stuff yesterday. But when it's furnished, oh my, I'm not gonna leave. Like, I don't even wanna go on vacation. I literally wanna just like sit.

• 23:17Brooke Averick?

That's how I feel about my apartment.

• 23:19Speaker 04

I get it. I get it finally.

• 23:21Brooke Averick?

  Yeah.

• 23:21Speaker 04

I got it in my last place. Like, I did enjoy my last apartment. Looking back, hindsight's 50/50. Never would have known that, living there. Gosh darn, this one, I know it. And then there's a furniture.

• 23:33Brooke Averick?

  Good, good.

• 23:34Speaker 04

I need to figure out how I'm going to do that because with tour, like I'm not, I refuse to go three months into my life in this apartment. That is more expensive than my last apartment and not have it furnished. Like, I just want it to be. I almost want someone to live in it and do it while I'm gone.

• 23:51Brooke Averick?

There's probably someone you could hire for that.

• 23:54Speaker 04

  Tap into.

• 23:55Brooke Averick?

Be like, here's my key. Here's a budget. And here's what I'll pay you on top of that.

• 24:01Speaker 04

  I'm not gonna spend.

• 24:02Brooke Averick?

Stay here. Could be a pretty penny for sure.

• 24:06Speaker 04

I know, I'm not gonna spend the amount of money that it would probably cost someone to do that, but I'm probably gonna hit Amazon pretty hard.

• 24:14Brooke Averick?

You're gonna hit, oh, the website. And we really quickly circle back to the Amazon event. Cause I obviously had to talk about the hotel.

• 24:22Speaker 04

You have to talk about the hotel and I'm, yes, absolutely. I have to also talk about the hotel.

• 24:26Brooke Averick?

  Amazon.

• 24:27Speaker 04

  Probably gonna nod towards you.

• 24:29Brooke Averick?

Put us in a hotel. The Greenwich Hotel. I have never

• 24:37Brooke Averick?

in my life stayed. I like could not shut up about it. What a glorious establishment. It's Robert De Niro's hotel. It's a boutique hotel. In Tribeca, right Connor?

• 24:53Speaker 04

  It's in Tribeca, yeah.

• 24:54Brooke Averick?

Well, I would move to New York if I could live in the Greenwich Hotel.

• 24:57Speaker 04

  I think we all would.

• 24:59Brooke Averick?

I think we, yeah, I do think we all would.

• 25:01Speaker 04

I was in the gym and stuff and like it was almost like I was, I had died.

• 25:07Brooke Averick?

The smell is like what I would imagine the Garden of Eden smelled like before Eve ate the apple.

• 25:13Speaker 04

  Yes.

• 25:14Brooke Averick?

It's just like pure bliss and earth.

• 25:19Speaker 04

Do you think the smell of the Garden of Eden changed after she took a bite?

• 25:23Speaker 04

What do you think it, what do you think? So I know what it smelled like before. What do you think it smelled like after?

• 25:28Brooke Averick?

  Nothing.

• 25:30Speaker 04

  Nothingness?

• 25:32Brooke Averick?

  It just smelled like air.

• 25:35Brooke Averick?

  Everything became ordinary, you know?

• 25:38Speaker 04

  Oh, wow, Brooke.

• 25:39Brooke Averick?

But before it smelled like the Greenwich Hotel.

• 25:42Speaker 04

  That's profound.

• 25:43Brooke Averick?

Yeah, I, the soaps, I mean, I took out every single one.

• 25:47Speaker 04

  I stole.

• 25:48Brooke Averick?

I mean, I used to have the bar soaps. I like

• 25:53Brooke Averick?

oh my God, it's like an arm and a leg to stay there, but like to do a staycation for one night.

• 26:02Brooke Averick?

I would recommend if if you pull your life savings together like it is a once in a lifetime opportunity. Thank you.

• 26:11Speaker 04

  It truly is.

• 26:12Brooke Averick?

Like I just can't stop thinking about it and each room is like different. Right? Each room is different. I never even saw your room.

• 26:19Speaker 04

Well, I know David Spade was two rooms down from me randomly.

• 26:23Brooke Averick?

  Yeah, of course he was.

• 26:25Speaker 04

And the staff was like sucking his tits and I was like, hello, I'm over here. David, come over to my room.

• 26:32Brooke Averick?

  Hello, it's me, Fabiola.

• 26:33Speaker 04

I was honestly just like, hang out with me like, but they were like, Amazon hooked it TF up, which is no surprise. But wow, that hotel was. Okay, they put two like little cookies in our room.

• 26:45Brooke Averick?

  Oh.

• 26:47Speaker 04

  Our, our frigging.

• 26:50Brooke Averick?

Would you rather the mad chip cookie or the Greenwich Hotel cookie?

• 26:54Speaker 04

Okay, well, I have to explain what the Greenwich Hotel cookie is to everyone.

• 26:57Brooke Averick?

See, I couldn't even find the words to explain it without being disrespectful.

• 27:01Speaker 04

  It's basically two wafers.

• 27:04Brooke Averick?

  I wouldn't call them wafers.

• 27:05Speaker 04

I need everyone right now. Like if you're able to imagine two wafers.

• 27:08Brooke Averick?

  They weren't wafers.

• 27:10Speaker 04

And but like you have to know what I mean when I say wafer because I don't mean wafer, you know?

• 27:14Brooke Averick?

Well, obviously people aren't gonna know. I would say more like biscotti biscuits.

• 27:18Speaker 04

Yeah, but like light airy biscotti and then in between it was like a cookie sandwich and in between it was like this light.

• 27:25Brooke Averick?

  Goo.

• 27:26Speaker 04

  Cream.

• 27:26Brooke Averick?

  That's it. That's it. That's it.

• 27:28Speaker 04

  How did you find it?

• 27:29Brooke Averick?

How did you do that? Is that Izzy?

• 27:31Speaker 05

  Yeah.

• 27:33Brooke Averick?

  Yeah.

• 27:34Speaker 05

  Hotel cookie.

• 27:35Speaker 04

Oh, you'd have to type in Greenwich Hotel cookie and then it's like easy to find, actually.

• 27:39Brooke Averick?

Just type in Greenwich Hotel cookie.

• 27:40Speaker 04

But it reminded me of like when they went through the bookshelf in Narnia and they were in Narnia and he got those little candies. Or those treats.

• 27:51Brooke Averick?

  Turkish delight?

• 27:53Speaker 04

Yeah, and I like never understood what a Turkish delight was to me. It was just like this mythical cookie. Um, that's what those felt like. Like it was like, oh, I might be imagining this cookie, to be honest.

• 28:06Brooke Averick?

That's what I felt with Turkish delight. Like when I had one for the first time in person, I was like, this is not.

• 28:11Speaker 04

  They're real?

• 28:11Brooke Averick?

They're real. And but they're not. They're not. They are real. Turkish delights are real, but when I had one in person, I was like, this is not what. This isn't right.

• 28:22Speaker 04

Wait, did they make Turkish shallites as like a-

• 28:24Brooke Averick?

No, it's a real, it's always been a real thing.

• 28:25Speaker 04

A nod to Narnia now? Wait, they're making a new Narnia, I'm pretty sure.

• 28:29Brooke Averick?

  Yeah, Greta Gerwig's directing it.

• 28:34Speaker 04

Okay. Who directed the last one?

• 28:37Brooke Averick?

It's not, it's not something I have off, off the top of my head.

• 28:40Speaker 04

Whoever directed the last one should just direct to the new one, I think, probably.

• 28:44Brooke Averick?

Then what, what would the difference be?

• 28:48Speaker 04

There's a new movie, right? Or is it-

• 28:50Brooke Averick?

  I think it's just a remake.

• 28:52Speaker 04

Oh, are we done writing new movies? Um-

• 28:56Brooke Averick?

  No.

• 28:56Speaker 04

Michael Apted and Andrew Anderson. Well, now I sound like mega, mega Advil man now. Okay.

• 29:04Brooke Averick?

I'm excited for the new one.

• 29:07Speaker 04

  Well, of course-

• 29:08Brooke Averick?

I, I really, I do, I really appreciate the idea of going through a wardrobe. Something I've always appreciated.

• 29:13Speaker 04

I genuinely like can't second that enough. The idea of going through a wardrobe, first of all, you have to get through the clothes.

• 29:23Brooke Averick?

How many times did you try that when you were younger?

• 29:25Speaker 04

Oh my God, I did it this morning. I did, I'll do it this afternoon. I love doing that. The idea that there's something more is so fabulous.

• 29:38Brooke Averick?

  Fabulous.

• 29:39Speaker 04

The idea that there's something in there, right behind that coat, let me shimmy on back there. It could be anything. It could even be a lion and a witch.

• 29:52Speaker 04

Just wow. Like the actual brain on some people to come up with that idea that there's something, that's almost like the book that we wrote, that we're gonna write about, children's book about socks in the washing machine. Like, you just have to shimmy on-

• 30:05Brooke Averick?

You have to have that level of brilliance, yeah.

• 30:08Speaker 04

It's really just, it's really something that I'm, I'm a bit taken by it.

• 30:11Brooke Averick?

Yeah. No, fantasy really is amazing. Cause it's like you read Harry Potter and you're like, okay, it would be easy to come up with like a magic system like this. And it's like, okay, I'll try and you can't.

• 30:23Speaker 04

It's so nuanced. How'd you, I mean, how, like, I have to watch it today. And don't get me started about Tomnus, Tomnus.

• 30:30Brooke Averick?

  I won't.

• 30:30Speaker 04

Ah, he was a special, special man.

• 30:34Brooke Averick?

  Yeah.

• 30:34Speaker 04

Um, and I also think that that woman that looks otherworldly-

• 30:38Brooke Averick?

I know the one. It's Tilda, right?

• 30:42Speaker 04

  Tilda Swinton.

• 30:43Brooke Averick?

  Yeah.

• 30:43Speaker 04

She's so perfectly cast for that role that really-

• 30:48Speaker 04

I just can't imagine it being better. Wait, okay.

• 30:50Brooke Averick?

In the bonus, we need to watch the Turkish delight scene.

• 30:52Speaker 04

We do, uh, cause I'm gonna get, I'm, I'm, okay, hang on. I have two things really quick. One, first of all,

• 31:00Speaker 04

um, I don't know if it's the way I was brought up, but I was told that Chronicles of Narnia was like the, the line was Jesus.

• 31:11Brooke Averick?

I think that was the way you were brought up.

• 31:13Speaker 04

Okay. Uh, well, then let's move.

• 31:16Brooke Averick?

Cause that was unbeknownst to me.

• 31:18Speaker 04

Okay. Well, the line like is a martyr and dies for everyone on their behalf. I'm pretty sure.

• 31:22Brooke Averick?

Maybe that's what the author intended. I don't know.

• 31:25Speaker 04

That it ended up being like a really Christian heavy book or a storyline.

• 31:29Brooke Averick?

I didn't, yeah, maybe if we can Google it. I didn't know.

• 31:32Speaker 04

Can we Google is Chronicles of Narnia the Bible?

• 31:36Brooke Averick?

  It's considered a Christian allegory.

• 31:38Speaker 04

  Yeah.

• 31:39Brooke Averick?

Though it contains elements of other mythologies. The books are filled with biblical allusions and parallels. Good job, Connor.

• 31:45Speaker 04

Okay. Good. Like my memory, I cannot remember what I had for breakfast.

• 31:49Brooke Averick?

The entire Narnia story is based off Jesus Christ. Had no idea.

• 31:55Speaker 04

  Yeah. Wow. That's like.

• 31:57Brooke Averick?

Uh, but Lewis said that he, while he did not set off to create a Christian allegory, by the time the series was done, it was indeed true. I feel like sometimes that just happens. You fall into it.

• 32:07Speaker 04

Like I'm sure your book that you're working on is gonna probably end up being a Christian allegory.

• 32:12Brooke Averick?

Like if I know one thing about Phoebe, it's that she is also like reminiscent of Jesus Christ.

• 32:19Speaker 04

  She's a devout Christian.

• 32:21Brooke Averick?

  Yeah.

• 32:22Speaker 04

Well, okay, I'm kissing my brain that I randomly remember.

• 32:25Brooke Averick?

  Yeah, very good.

• 32:26Speaker 04

That the line is Jesus Christ. Um, secondly, when Brooke was in New York, she gave me one of her mints that's for blowjobs, to be frank, and.

• 32:38Brooke Averick?

Blowjob mints. Let, rewind. Have, I've spoken about those, right? But only on the bonus.

• 32:43Speaker 04

  Oh geez. Uh oh. Wow.

• 32:46Brooke Averick?

There, you know, those mints, like some people get them as ads a lot, like myself. Some people do not. So it requires explanation. On Tik Tok shop where like there's these mints, um, that make your mouth, that make you drool essentially.

• 32:59Speaker 04

  They make you produce.

• 33:00Brooke Averick?

They make you produce saliva. And so they're marketed in a very specific way, like a very sexual way. But me, I'm, I just have a dry mouth. So obviously I ordered 16 packs just for like recreational use.

• 33:15Brooke Averick?

And so I carry them around with me. They honestly don't really work that much for me.

• 33:19Speaker 04

  They work.

• 33:20Brooke Averick?

  For me.

• 33:21Speaker 04

These ads are so, so unholy. We just talked about Christianity in the Chronicles of Darnia. There is nothing further from, it is almost blasphemous, these ads. The way that these people are on the camera. Spit is dumping out of their mouth and they're like, I just got these men. Like, and it's like, just the craziest thing. And they're like, they make me feel so sexy. I'm like, this, I go like.

• 33:52Brooke Averick?

Me adding like 50 to cart.

• 33:55Speaker 04

  Like.

• 33:56Brooke Averick?

  It, I have tried not.

• 33:58Speaker 04

You needed them for medical reasons. This is like not even hock to it. This is literally like drool pooa. It's like they're producing so much spit out of their gullet. It is guttural.

• 34:10Brooke Averick?

That does not happen to me. And even you who said that you were producing, you were not drooling like that.

• 34:18Speaker 04

  No, I mean.

• 34:19Brooke Averick?

Could you have if you tried hard?

• 34:20Speaker 04

I feel like I'm, no, I was gonna say, it's been a week. I feel like I'm still producing.

• 34:25Brooke Averick?

  There's no way.

• 34:27Speaker 04

Maybe I'm just more aware of it, but I am, like, it's coming out of my, like, spit part, like my, this parts that when you're about to eat a sour candy.

• 34:37Brooke Averick?

I think I gave you one of the strawberry ones, but there's also mint ones that hurt. Like they make your mouth feel like it's like on fire in like a really bad way. Like it can't be good for you.

• 34:52Speaker 04

No, we gotta, we need to look into the efficacies of the, of the blowjob mints. Cause wow.

• 34:58Brooke Averick?

But I remember I also ordered one like a few years ago just from Amazon, like a more standard looking mint and those worked a lot better.

• 35:05Speaker 04

Okay. Yeah. I think anything from TikTok shop is probably gonna give us cancer. So let's, I think we should go back to.

• 35:12Brooke Averick?

I think I'm, yeah, I'm gonna reorder the Amazon ones.

• 35:14Speaker 04

  Yeah.

• 35:15Brooke Averick?

Cause it's also just tasted like mints instead of the blowjob ones taste like cancer. Yeah.

• 35:21Speaker 04

They do. They literally taste like chemicals.

• 35:26Speaker 04

Um, I want to go back to my apartment really quick. Just really quick.

• 35:31Brooke Averick?

Okay, I need to, I need to keep going about New York too, though.

• 35:34Speaker 04

  Oh, yeah.

• 35:35Brooke Averick?

So it's depending on what order you want to go in.

• 35:36Speaker 04

No, no, no, take it, take it away.

• 35:38Brooke Averick?

Um, I mean, I have to talk about Little Shop of Horrors.

• 35:41Speaker 04

Yeah, wait, no, I have to talk about Little Shop of Horrors? So obviously, the night that we were supposed to go to Little Shop of Horrors, like, everyone felt like very concerned that I had passed away and was not with Brooke at Little Shop of Horrors. I had a full-blown panic attack, um, about opening for Jake Shane over the weekend because I learned that his first crowd that I was opening for in Baton Rouge was going to be 2,000 people. And then I got really nervous and then was scared to, to go sit at Little Shop of Horrors and just think about my set the whole time for two hours, so I did bail. But, there will be, there will come a day very shortly that I will go alone to Little Shop of Horrors to see my, my absolute best friend in the world, Milo, mind him, and

• 36:26Speaker 04

and I will come back in a little, and we can have an in-depth conversation.

• 36:30Brooke Averick?

  Connor?

• 36:30Speaker 04

  Take it away, sister.

• 36:32Brooke Averick?

  Your friend?

• 36:34Speaker 04

  My best friend.

• 36:35Brooke Averick?

Your best friend? Milo Manheim is one of the most talented young men in, in the world.

• 36:42Speaker 04

  Oh, my gosh.

• 36:43Brooke Averick?

  I am completely floored.

• 36:47Speaker 04

  You're taking-

• 36:48Brooke Averick?

And Liz, too, was so beyond. I, you know me, I, I'm, I love Little Shop of Horrors. I saw it last year with Darren Criss, who's like one of my number ones, and you know Jonathan Groff had originated the role of this production. Like, I had very, very, very, like, I couldn't have had more like, high expectations, I guess.

• 37:08Speaker 04

  Right.

• 37:09Brooke Averick?

Um, Connor? I would never say that Milo was like better than Darren, because like, I couldn't, couldn't say that about Darren, he's you know, one of my favorites. He was, he was better. Like, he is so-

• 37:26Brooke Averick?

He was so good, like he is that character. Like Seymour is one of my favorite characters in the world, like the most like dweeby nerdy clumsy little boy and Milo is like so cool in real life from my understanding that I was like, wow, how is he gonna kind of like embody this this dweeb. I mean, he was like spectacular. I was freaking out.

• 37:52Speaker 04

  Wow, okay.

• 37:53Brooke Averick?

You have gotta go see it. Everyone has gotta go see it.

• 37:55Speaker 04

Little Shop of Horrors tickets right now.

• 37:57Brooke Averick?

It's so good. I feel bad about saying he was better than Darren. It was just different. Um, I liked it better. It was like, I like, I can't get over it.

• 38:07Speaker 04

I saw the stills. I saw the still images. Um, and I could see the energy that he was bringing to the stage.

• 38:14Brooke Averick?

You can see the energy through a photo.

• 38:17Speaker 04

Right. I could see it and I could feel it and I did feel a little bit sick to my stomach, but I was, I was.

• 38:23Brooke Averick?

Well, you are, you're so blessed to live right there. I would go every night.

• 38:27Speaker 04

I mean, I'll be going, I might try to drag some people with me actually now that I think about it because I definitely could.

• 38:33Brooke Averick?

You should and it really is like the perfect show for people that are not like already obsessed with Broadway. It's like such a good one to, to ease you in it because it's so fun. And you're, it's such a small theater that you're like in, so in it.

• 38:47Speaker 04

Was Sodhi able to sit in my seat?

• 38:49Brooke Averick?

Sodhi sat in your seat. So we were all in the third row. She was just like a few seats over. I was looking over at her during. She was loving it. It's so fun to like bring your friends to something that you already love and then they love it just as much. Like it wasn't one of those things where I'm like looking over and they're not laughing. Like Kat and Sodhi were like beaming.

• 39:08Speaker 04

  Oh, that's awesome.

• 39:09Brooke Averick?

Yeah. Oh my God, it was so good.

• 39:11Speaker 04

  That's so sweet.

• 39:13Brooke Averick?

Yeah. I love, I love the theater, man.

• 39:17Speaker 04

I'm gonna, I'm gonna end up going. I want to see that and I want to see Oh Mary, which is that one, um, called Escola.

• 39:24Brooke Averick?

Um, I would love to see Oh Mary.

• 39:26Speaker 04

I want to go when Cole, like, I don't know. What is it called when it's not the person that plays?

• 39:31Brooke Averick?

  An understudy?

• 39:32Speaker 04

Cole has, uh, understudies for like a, like two months or something.

• 39:38Brooke Averick?

It says on, usually on the website, like when.

• 39:40Speaker 04

I found, I found it. Yeah.

• 39:42Brooke Averick?

  Yeah.

• 39:43Speaker 04

They have undersees for like two months and so I don't want to go unless Cole's playing.

• 39:47Brooke Averick?

  Yeah.

• 39:47Speaker 04

  Mary Todd Lincoln.

• 39:49Brooke Averick?

  Yeah.

• 39:49Speaker 04

But. All's to be said, did you watch the MF Oscars?

• 39:57Brooke Averick?

Yeah, I watched the MF Oscars.

• 39:59Speaker 04

What were your thoughts about the MFOs?

• 40:01Brooke Averick?

Um, I feel like I had a lot of like thoughts about different pieces, but overall I really enjoyed myself. I love Conan. I think he's one of the greats. Um, I feel like he did a great job. And I loved Andrew Garfield and Goldie Hawn together. I felt like they had a really special connection. Um, I obviously do feel like Wicked was completely robbed.

• 40:32Speaker 04

  No.

• 40:32Brooke Averick?

I do struggle with the Amelia Perez of it all despite me not having seen it. I've seen enough. Um, what else? Adrian Brody's speech. I like, the Oscar music reminds me, like when they cut you off during your speech reminds me of when-

• 40:50Speaker 04

  Hunger Games.

• 40:50Brooke Averick?

No, no, no. Sure. But when your parents are like one, two, and it's like, you just like, don't want to know what happens when they get to three, so you stop. But then, this is when I feel like I learned what happens when you get to three, and it's nothing. Like, I guess I just thought this whole time that like, if you were to be like, stop to the music, the venue would explode. But they just stopped. I really didn't like that. I really didn't like that he did that.

• 41:19Speaker 04

Wait, I didn't watch, so I don't know, like I know that Adrian Brody-

• 41:23Brooke Averick?

He, the music started playing and he was like, no, we're not doing this. Like, I've been here before, I'm gonna keep going. And I just thought, it was like, so, like, come on, everybody else stayed in there a lot of time. Like, why do you, why are you the one that gets to go on and say absolutely more, nothing?

• 41:40Speaker 04

Do you think he got fined or something? Like, what is the-

• 41:42Brooke Averick?

No, I don't think he got fined. That's what I'm saying. Like, nothing happens when you guys are three.

• 41:46Speaker 04

  It's just a golden rule?

• 41:48Brooke Averick?

It's just a golden rule, exactly. Like, it's just like something that you do to be respectful to others and keep the show going. He wasn't able, he wasn't willing and able to, to adhere to that guideline. Thanks. Sorry, I also can't stop saying thanks at the end of every sentence because I was with Kat for so long.

• 42:03Speaker 04

  I know.

• 42:05Brooke Averick?

  Thank you.

• 43:26Speaker 04

Oh, I'm getting the giggles. Um. Okay. Now I have the Adrian Brody ick. So that's one.

• 43:34Brooke Averick?

I think everyone does, but I didn't realize everyone already had it before.

• 43:37Speaker 04

I've been a fan, I've been an outspoken Adrian Brody fan. Cause I really like his Instagram where every day he just walks and he's beam, beaming, smiling through New York and he's. Oh, man. Wow, just. Ah, man, it's, we're blessed. We're truly blessed, man.

• 43:57Brooke Averick?

But that was his whole Oscar's speech for, I think it was like, like seven minutes all in all.

• 44:02Speaker 04

  That is insane. Dot com.

• 44:07Brooke Averick?

Yeah, and he also threw his gum.

• 44:11Brooke Averick?

Girlfriend, I don't know if they're married or not, but that was another thing that people are discussing.

• 44:16Speaker 04

  Well, the other thing.

• 44:17Brooke Averick?

Why are you chewing like, and also there's no way he was, I know his, he was expecting to win. So it's like he did, he wanted to do that. Like he could have taken the gum out long before his category was announced.

• 44:29Speaker 04

  What did he win for?

• 44:30Brooke Averick?

Best actor. Which is like for the brutalist, which is the movie that's like 15 hours with an intermission.

• 44:37Speaker 04

Great. Like sometimes things are not for me and I'll recognize that. Like I'm never going to watch the brutalist.

• 44:43Brooke Averick?

No, I'm not either. So it's like, I feel bad like shitting on these things that I haven't seen, but it's just like, I, I won't, I personally know, I will not enjoy.

• 44:52Speaker 04

The Academy made their decision. Period.

• 44:56Brooke Averick?

Oh my God, Connor Cynthia and Ariana's performance was obviously like the highlight.

• 45:01Speaker 04

I thought the production of that was really cool too.

• 45:03Brooke Averick?

They are, I mean, it just like there, I've never heard two people when they open their mouth, those sounds come out.

• 45:13Brooke Averick?

Like it's, and it looks so effortless. I really think they're like the two most, I can't, I'm so sorry. I can't believe Amelia ever has one. I'm like, it's like, I, I, I, I don't even know what to say.

• 45:24Speaker 04

I don't know, man. I, did you see Halle Berry come up and make out with Adrian Brody?

• 45:30Brooke Averick?

  Oh, I did.

• 45:31Speaker 04

That goes back to that original thing that I said a long time ago where it was like, if you're an actor and you're like low key, like,

• 45:39Speaker 04

like I like my wife or husband, but like I'd love to fuck around. Like I want to like hook up.

• 45:45Brooke Averick?

Do you know why she did that though?

• 45:47Speaker 04

Cause it was like a throwback, right? They.

• 45:49Brooke Averick?

He did it to her when he first, when he won his first Oscar, like years, years, years ago, which was very controversial.

• 45:56Speaker 04

Yeah. Well, coming up to, yeah. Well, I mean, like, I don't agree with him doing that either, but coming up to him in front of his wife and saying, sorry, I have to.

• 46:09Speaker 04

  Okay.

• 46:10Brooke Averick?

I would, I wonder, yeah, I don't know. I wonder if she had said

• 46:16Brooke Averick?

something to them before, like cleared it. Yeah, I would, I would, if I had a husband or boyfriend, I would definitely prefer some, uh, the most gorgeous woman in the world, ask if they could uh, kiss him, but it's also like got you back. But still.

• 46:31Speaker 04

Imagine if normal people, like, y- your long-term boyfriend or husband is like at a bar and his ex-girlfriend or husband goes, okay, like for old times sake, like I'm gonna make out with your boyfriend, like so you know I have to. Sorry, my hands are tied like I-

• 46:48Brooke Averick?

Yeah, obviously it wouldn't work with me, but I do feel like women especially feel so much pressure to be like, oh yeah, I'm totally okay with my actor boyfriend or husband like making out with women for the job, but like lord knows I would like completely be in an institution.

• 47:07Speaker 04

  No, I mean, that's

• 47:10Speaker 04

  so crazy.

• 47:11Brooke Averick?

I like, I would obviously be like, oh my god, yeah, it's your craft, of course. And then like sob.

• 47:16Speaker 04

Like buy a gun. Yeah. Um, there's that, there's a Nora, which I, did you watch a Nora?

• 47:23Brooke Averick?

  I did.

• 47:24Speaker 04

Okay, like my only thought about a Nora, like I'm, I'm again taken by Mikey Madison, well deserved. The movie itself and Sean Baker

• 47:36Speaker 04

winning, I think he got four Oscars, right?

• 47:38Brooke Averick?

  Yeah.

• 47:40Speaker 04

Like, like I'm just not a cinephile, I guess, because I thought it was too long, all the scenes are too long.

• 47:46Brooke Averick?

  I like-

• 47:47Speaker 04

  And I didn't get-

• 47:48Brooke Averick?

I have to preface everything I say about movies with, I genuinely love The Kissing Booth. So I want everyone to take what I say about film with that in mind. I thought it was, I thought a Nora was just okay.

• 48:03Speaker 04

Bro, like there's nothing wrong with like The Kissing Booth. I think it did really well in box office sales. Um, a Nora-

• 48:12Brooke Averick?

  Story for the ages.

• 48:15Speaker 04

I don't like The Kissing Booth because I'm a fan of Fools Gold.

• 48:18Brooke Averick?

It's actually not a good love story. It's just, you know what it is? It's entertainment.

• 48:20Speaker 04

  Right.

• 48:21Brooke Averick?

  Which I love.

• 48:22Speaker 04

I thought a Nora was entertaining for sure. I just like need an M. Night Shalton- Why can't I get his name?

• 48:30Brooke Averick?

  Shyamalan.

• 48:31Speaker 04

Shyamalan, twist. They should have killed somebody.

• 48:35Brooke Averick?

I wonder if there will ever be as good of a twist, like the Sixth Sense.

• 48:42Brooke Averick?

As, that wasn't a sentence, but you understood me.

• 48:45Speaker 04

I got it. Yeah, 100%. I got it.

• 48:47Brooke Averick?

You should read the book Silent Patient. That's Sixth Sense vibes.

• 48:50Speaker 04

Doesn't sound like, okay, by the way, I bought a book yesterday.

• 48:53Brooke Averick?

  What book?

• 48:54Speaker 04

And I, guess what, Brooke? I judged a book on its cover.

• 49:01Brooke Averick?

  I believe in doing that.

• 49:03Speaker 04

Me too. I've been right. I read Hunger Games before any of you bitches read Hunger Games. I swear on my mama. I promise I did.

• 49:13Brooke Averick?

  Because of the cover?

• 49:15Speaker 04

Because of the cover. It looked cool. I read it and guess what? Five years later, they made a goddamn movie out of it and I swear it had to be the domino effect, like butterfly effect, Mandela effect, Bernstein Bear effect. Something happened with me pulling that book, sliding it ever so gently out of the shelf, being like, ah, this is good, enamored, took an AR test on it. Hunger Games.

• 49:42Brooke Averick?

Oh, sorry. I thought you were gonna buy your new book.

• 49:44Speaker 04

Oh, this book that I just bought yesterday. I haven't even cracked it.

• 49:49Speaker 04

It's called The Long Island Compromise.

• 49:52Brooke Averick?

  Is it nonfiction?

• 49:54Speaker 04

I have no clue. I like the cover though.

• 49:56Brooke Averick?

Okay. Can we look up the cover of The Long Island Compromise?

• 49:59Speaker 04

I like the font. It's that first one.

• 50:02Brooke Averick?

That is the cover you're talking about?

• 50:03Speaker 04

  Yeah.

• 50:05Brooke Averick?

  So interesting.

• 50:07Speaker 04

I just like the colors and honestly, I need some decor for my new bookshelf. And this, I think would sit really well and I was drawn to it when I looked into the synopsis.

• 50:17Brooke Averick?

You wanna see my favorite type of cover art?

• 50:19Speaker 04

  Yeah.

• 50:20Brooke Averick?

Can we look up Emily Austin books? I love books that look like they're drawn by, like with a crayon, kind of. Oh, sorry. Yeah. That, the one with the bunny, that's the one I was telling you about, uh, where she can't stop thinking about everyone dying and death in general. And then the, that one is, I find so gorge. And then the one about space too, with her hands in her pockets. Like that to me is like the best book cover ever.

• 50:48Speaker 04

Interesting facts about space. I like that.

• 50:50Brooke Averick?

  Thanks.

• 50:51Speaker 04

That'd look good on a shelf too.

• 50:53Brooke Averick?

Yeah. I have them off, all three on my shelf.

• 50:59Speaker 04

  Man.

• 51:01Brooke Averick?

Well, I'm excited for you to read your book.

• 51:03Speaker 04

Sorry, I'm like messing up my Zoom right now.

• 51:07Brooke Averick?

Do you have any questions for me about my interview with the cast of Mickey 17?

• 51:12Speaker 04

Like now we can finally talk about it.

• 51:14Brooke Averick?

Yeah, that was the thing that I was saying, like, I can't believe I'm doing this. And that's what I did.

• 51:21Speaker 04

It's so crazy because I've known that you did that for about two months now, almost.

• 51:25Brooke Averick?

  Yeah.

• 51:25Speaker 04

And so like when you finally posted, I was like, oh, wow. It actually.

• 51:29Brooke Averick?

Were you not finding that like tough to watch just in the sense of like,

• 51:35Brooke Averick?

  like I'm being cringe?

• 51:37Speaker 04

No, not at all. I thought it was funny and real.

• 51:39Brooke Averick?

  Really?

• 51:40Speaker 04

  Yeah.

• 51:40Brooke Averick?

That really means a lot. I was, I like, if someone so much as plays that in my vicinity, like my body curls in on itself. But I'm so glad I did, like, to be able to have sat that close to Rob. You mind if I call him Rob?

• 51:57Speaker 04

  No, please.

• 51:58Brooke Averick?

To be able to have sat that close to Rob,

• 52:01Brooke Averick?

had a conversation and lived to tell the tale. I can do anything that I set my mind to.

• 52:07Speaker 04

I mean, I was getting texts from people I went to high school with. I have two of my very, very close friends, Kaylee and Dana, have loved Twilight like it was their effing job. And they both text me and they're like, you have to tell Brooke that, that they were like, we're taking her experience and we're gonna like feel this through her vicariously because you know Brooke and Brooke met Rob. And I've never met in my adult life, like two people, I grew up with them, that like genuinely both, they both thought that they were gonna marry Robert Pattinson. And I mean that like they said.

• 52:41Brooke Averick?

  How I felt.

• 52:42Speaker 04

  Imagine how I felt.

• 52:44Brooke Averick?

  Putting yourself in my clogs.

• 52:46Speaker 04

  Was he normal?

• 52:48Brooke Averick?

Yes. He literally is exactly who you thought.

• 52:53Brooke Averick?

Like he would be, he just was like, hey.

• 52:56Speaker 04

Yeah, I just think of him.

• 52:57Brooke Averick?

  Yeah, he was just like.

• 52:59Speaker 04

He looks and, and sounds like Tom Mish, who is obviously my, my number one.

• 53:04Brooke Averick?

  Yeah.

• 53:04Speaker 04

Ombre that I could think of.

• 53:06Brooke Averick?

I mean, it was really just an overall, like such a positive experience, not to mention, um, Naomi Aki.

• 53:13Speaker 04

  Yeah.

• 53:13Brooke Averick?

Was in Blink Twice. So that's her. She's incredible. And then, you know, Bong Joon Ho, like that's so fucking insane. Um.

• 53:24Speaker 04

That is crazy that you're sitting on that couch.

• 53:26Brooke Averick?

That is like, I, I really feel invincible. That's some, that is what I've done most in my life, that I have walked out of that and said, I can do anything if I did that.

• 53:38Speaker 04

Well done, Brooke. Kiss your brain. Pay yourself on the back.

• 53:42Brooke Averick?

Thank you. Holding on to that, not being able to tell everyone that was hard.

• 53:47Speaker 04

  Yeah.

• 53:48Brooke Averick?

But it paid off. Thank you all for coming along with me on that journey.

• 53:56Brooke Averick?

I actually do not think I could do, uh, interview Andrew Garfield now that you mention it.

• 54:00Speaker 04

I think you could. And I actually think that like you would walk away from that interview being like, oh.

• 54:04Brooke Averick?

I don't, I don't know. I think he would be the only one that it's like, I, I really would say I, I pass. Thank you for thinking of me.

• 54:13Speaker 04

No, Brooke, I wouldn't let you do that.

• 54:17Brooke Averick?

I, I might have to, but thank you anyway.

• 54:22Speaker 04

  Thank you anyway.

• 54:23Brooke Averick?

Um, I have a few things in my notes, I think.

• 54:28Speaker 04

I have one thing quickly about, well, first of all, I was in New Orleans over the weekend. Um, opening for Jake Shane on his shows.

• 54:37Brooke Averick?

Yeah. Connor, how was your show?

• 54:39Speaker 04

Okay. First of all, and I'm not fishing for compliments, I like halfway bombed.

• 54:45Brooke Averick?

  There's no way.

• 54:47Speaker 04

I don't think anyone would say that. Um.

• 54:50Brooke Averick?

  So then you didn't.

• 54:51Speaker 04

But like, well, I mean halfway, like my, I tried out some new jokes and they're just like, they weren't fully cooked. So, but that's, that's the nature of the game. Um, that's how you work on stuff, but I was like.

• 55:06Speaker 04

Okay, I need to like switch it up and then I switched it up for New Orleans and I feel like I murdered New Orleans. Um, and I think everyone had a good time. And then we went out for Mardi Gras and it's my first time ever leaving New Orleans for Mardi Gras and like just, I was like, oh, I was like low key an adult last night, like I had no scaries, I felt good. Cause New Orleans will chew you up and spit you out. Um, but it was a lovely time. I went to Cafe Dumont. I went to the Mississippi River. I went to Pat O'Brien's, which is a bar that I've been going to since I was eighteen. It was amazing. Now, on the way home.

• 55:45Speaker 04

I flew Southwest Airlines, which genuinely, like if I had a really great, I probably could rally up enough people right now while speaking to file a class action lawsuit against the airline that doesn't assign seats. They need to, the CEO needs to go to prison.

• 56:01Brooke Averick?

  They are switching.

• 56:03Speaker 04

They need to do it yesterday.

• 56:05Brooke Averick?

  I think they did.

• 56:07Speaker 04

No, I flew it on Monday.

• 56:10Brooke Averick?

I think it's coming up like sooner than you could ever expect.

• 56:13Speaker 04

Well, I flew it on Monday. I didn't have seat, but luckily in the very back, like near the back, I'm like six rows up from the back of the plane. There was a window seat. And so I took that so I could like sleep on the way back to New York.

• 56:26Speaker 04

And I sit down. And then this woman walks by me with her kids and sits right behind us and goes, yeah, we would all be able to sit together, but some of these singles think that they need the window to themselves. Like, I don't know if it's from our conversations about.

• 56:42Brooke Averick?

I have gone complete Karen now, Connor.

• 56:45Speaker 04

  Look.

• 56:46Brooke Averick?

I identify as a Karen. I would have flipped my tray table.

• 56:50Speaker 04

No, but I, I was just thinking like, your kids are like twelve and thirteen. One, pipe down.

• 56:59Brooke Averick?

  Pipe down.

• 57:00Speaker 04

Two, yeah, one pipe down. Two, why do you, why are you so entitled to the window with your adult kids? That is like such a woman that would still breastfeed her twelve year old, you know, like I need to sit with them. First of all, first of all, hot take, and I'm gonna get mer, put on the hot plate for this.

• 57:20Speaker 04

Both parents don't need to sit with their kids. Put a one parent with their kid and if they're thirteen and able bodied, they don't need to sit with a parent. Sorry, you know, like.

• 57:33Speaker 04

So anyways, I'm sitting there and first of all, I got. I got this bitch in my ear saying that I'm selfish because I took the window seat. Meanwhile, I'm a panicked flyer.

• 57:43Speaker 04

And I don't have my mom, I don't have my mama with me. Secondly, I'm sitting there, I'm finally like, okay, just breathe through it. Like, she's obviously miserable. She probably hates her kids too. They probably are breastfeeding and. I'm sitting there for two seconds.

• 58:00Speaker 04

The flight attendant comes up and says, hey, would you mind moving um to the aisle seat against the bathroom? Like the furthest one that doesn't recline. And I looked to my right and there's a man with a car seat. And I was like, oh, my gosh, like, yeah, I will.

• 58:20Speaker 04

  And I did.

• 58:22Speaker 04

And that's because I I truly think it's because I had such negative thoughts about the woman that sat down that like. I met with like. First of all, the baby was too big to be in a car seat. Like, I don't know the rules on car seats, but like it was walking around and like climbing on the seats and stuff like. Put it on a leak.

• 58:37Brooke Averick?

You can't have car seats on the plane.

• 58:39Speaker 04

They put a car seat against the window against the window.

• 58:42Brooke Averick?

I'm not familiar with Southwest really and their policies, but that's not like.

• 58:46Speaker 04

Needs to be disbanded from the airline community. But I moved to the back.

• 58:55Speaker 04

I don't know, I guess a baby is different, but it wasn't a newborn. Okay, no, both parents did not need to sit there, I could have sat in the window. And fall asleep.

• 59:02Brooke Averick?

  Sorry Connor.

• 59:02Speaker 04

And that's and that's all I'll say. Except this other thing that I'm gonna say.

• 59:07Speaker 04

When I checked into my hotel. I'll go really quick with this because this is like frankly, pretty boring, but I just need to get it off my church. Um, when I checked into my hotel. The woman was at the front desk was just on the phone, on her cellphone. Laughing and like, kind of like looking at the computer, looking around and there's a line of like five people. It took me twenty five minutes to check in and this is at midnight when I first got to Baton Rouge.

• 59:32Speaker 04

And the next day I went to get my bags out. And she was there again and she's on her phone again like laughing and I I walked up to the front desk and I asked one of the the uh bag dudes to come over and I was like can you just get my bags from behind the desk and I go by the this is so bad Brooke this is I could feel really sick about this I'm just gonna tell everyone by the way you might want to get another person behind the front desk because she hasn't looked up from her cellphone in 20 minutes and everyone behind the desk was like nice dude thank you I've never done something like that and by the way I I won't say the hotel I won't say the hotel name and I'm not gonna say her name

• 1:00:10Brooke Averick?

This is how I was feeling about Kane's I won't say the I won't say the employee's name

• 1:00:14Speaker 04

I just wanted her to know that like I noticed

• 1:00:16Brooke Averick?

I'll just give the exact location and description

• 1:00:18Speaker 04

Yeah exactly she was bad at her job I know her name too and it was very fitting for the type of person that she was acting like but

• 1:00:28Brooke Averick?

Damn I wonder if there's something about our age that like trans like catapults us into full Karen mode because I have felt her growing inside of me for a while and recently she's been coming out

• 1:00:41Speaker 04

  You like fertilized my eggs

• 1:00:44Brooke Averick?

I mean do not get me started on me telling my Uber driver that I am departing from Terminal B which is the international terminal but you take you can take domestic flights out of there and then he goes oh are you going to Sydney which he knew I wasn't and I was like no I'm not going to Sydney he goes then you're Terminal 5 I was like no you can fly domestically out of Terminal B thank you my flight's out of Terminal B and then obviously it wasn't he was right he was right but I am also right you can fly domestically out of Terminal B I did not need to be going to Sydney he did not need to ask me if I was going to Sydney I just don't I just like don't understand why people can't have normal like oh here it says on my phone

• 1:01:29Brooke Averick?

you're going to to Terminal 5 oh okay sorry my bad that and that would have been it

• 1:01:34Speaker 04

  Would you rather

• 1:01:34Brooke Averick?

Are you going to Sydney shut the fuck up man

• 1:01:39Speaker 04

Would you rather be, someone be aggressive towards you or passive aggressive?

• 1:01:45Brooke Averick?

Passive. I'm much more comfortable with passive aggression.

• 1:01:47Speaker 04

Oh my god, I want someone to like genuinely try to fight me.

• 1:01:49Brooke Averick?

You would rather, are you going to Sydney?

• 1:01:53Speaker 04

No, I'd rather, you're wrong, bro.

• 1:01:55Brooke Averick?

That to me is not, oh, to me that's aggressive.

• 1:01:58Speaker 04

Oh, that's passive aggressive, because he didn't say what he meant. He said, you're going to Sydney, he's being sarcastic.

• 1:02:03Brooke Averick?

Yeah, but that's like aggressive, even though it's sarcastic.

• 1:02:06Speaker 04

  It's passive, definitely.

• 1:02:08Brooke Averick?

  It's aggressive passive aggression.

• 1:02:10Speaker 04

It's aggressively passive. We can say that.

• 1:02:13Brooke Averick?

  Yeah.

• 1:02:14Speaker 04

  Um.

• 1:02:15Brooke Averick?

Then whatever that is, I would rather the opposite.

• 1:02:17Speaker 04

Speaking of aggressively passive, I want to say something very quickly. I made a TikTok about two years ago. And I was just saying people that should have podcasts. And I was totally joking. And I said Casey Anthony should make a podcast.

• 1:02:34Brooke Averick?

  Does she have one?

• 1:02:35Speaker 04

  Casey Anthony's making a podcast.

• 1:02:36Brooke Averick?

  I'm sure she is.

• 1:02:39Brooke Averick?

  What is the subject matter?

• 1:02:41Speaker 04

  Leadville, leadville, legal ad- advocacy.

• 1:02:45Brooke Averick?

  Okay.

• 1:02:46Speaker 04

  Was that right?

• 1:02:47Brooke Averick?

  I guess.

• 1:02:49Speaker 04

  Advocacy?

• 1:02:50Brooke Averick?

  Advocacy?

• 1:02:51Speaker 04

Advocacy, thank you. Um, yeah. She is, she said, word for word, she made a video and she goes, you know, like, I just want to speak out. I want my story to be told. Um, sorry, I'm in the car, so I'm sweating a lot. It was just so crazy the way, the things she's saying, like she's in her car, making her video, announcing her legal advocacy? What did she say?

• 1:03:14Brooke Averick?

  I don't remember. I think I said advocacy.

• 1:03:17Speaker 04

Yeah, that sounds right. Advocacy. And she goes, I've been in the legal system since 2011. I know my way around. I go, why were you in the legal system since 2011?

• 1:03:27Brooke Averick?

  She knows the way around.

• 1:03:28Speaker 04

Oh, I mean, that is just. Crazy that she walks among us. I've probably passed her.

• 1:03:35Brooke Averick?

You never know who you've passed.

• 1:03:37Speaker 04

You never know who you've passed.

• 1:03:39Brooke Averick?

  Yeah.

• 1:03:39Speaker 04

Okay, that's pertinent to right now.

• 1:03:43Brooke Averick?

  Yeah.

• 1:03:44Speaker 04

Because I was, I told you I wanted to talk about my apartment one more time.

• 1:03:48Brooke Averick?

  Yeah.

• 1:03:48Speaker 04

First of all, there's trees on every side.

• 1:03:50Brooke Averick?

  Yeah.

• 1:03:50Speaker 04

And they're gonna, they're gonna be in bloom. Excited about that. Something about me, I'm crazy. I love trees. Second, from my kitchen window, I can see into my neighbor's bathroom. And I posted that yesterday. I said I can see into my neighbor's bathroom. Everyone was like, get curtains. Why would I get curtains for my kitchen? They need to get curtains for their bathroom, no?

• 1:04:15Brooke Averick?

I zoned out for one second and I missed something important. Can you start that piece over about the curtains?

• 1:04:20Speaker 04

My neighbor's bathroom shows me their, their C and their Bs just right into my kitchen window.

• 1:04:28Brooke Averick?

  Sure.

• 1:04:28Speaker 04

And everyone, and I posted that yesterday and everyone was like, you should get a curtain. I'm not getting a curtain. We're gonna do a standoff because I will.

• 1:04:36Brooke Averick?

Why don't you want a curtain though?

• 1:04:38Speaker 04

I wanna look out my kitchen window. They need to put a curtain on their bathroom.

• 1:04:41Brooke Averick?

If you pulled, pulled your curtain aside?

• 1:04:44Speaker 04

  Yeah.

• 1:04:44Brooke Averick?

I'm not saying you're the one that needs a curtain in this situation. Like they should obviously have a curtain in their bathroom. But you don't want curtains for your apartment?

• 1:04:51Speaker 04

No, I do for, for my apartment, but not for my kitchen window.

• 1:04:54Brooke Averick?

Okay. I don't know. I was picturing the kitchen window as like a huge staple window in your home.

• 1:04:59Speaker 04

You'll have to come see. I'll send you a video this afternoon. Um, but no, I will stare. Like I know that, so I don't really, sorry, sorry, that is gonna come out wrong.

• 1:05:09Brooke Averick?

You'll stare at them all day?

• 1:05:11Speaker 04

Not staring at my neighbor pissing and shitting, but I just wanted to say like, if we're gonna do this. If we're gonna be neighbors.

• 1:05:18Brooke Averick?

  We're gonna do it.

• 1:05:19Speaker 04

I have to wash dishes, y'all. Like I'm not, I'm not gonna avert my eyes. Because, because you feel the need to, to be an exhibitionist. Like I'm gonna look at you. Is that what you want? So, and I get this weird thing. Here, literally no one cares about being naked in their windows.

• 1:05:40Speaker 04

  And I think it might be a growth thing for me. Like I might, I might just be like, M Y O B? And? Oh, M. M M O B and M Y O B. Like everyone do their own thing.

• 1:05:53Brooke Averick?

Well, I think like with New York, there's just like so many people that it's easier to feel insignificant and like your naked body doesn't matter.

• 1:05:59Speaker 04

It's kind of special and it's also like, it's kind of taking my, it's kind of taking my flower, you know, a little bit.

• 1:06:07Brooke Averick?

  Hmm.

• 1:06:07Speaker 04

  What's it called?

• 1:06:09Brooke Averick?

  I don't know what you're try- I don't know.

• 1:06:10Speaker 04

Like losing your virginity. Like I feel like it's like a little bit like,

• 1:06:13Brooke Averick?

  Popping your cherry?

• 1:06:15Speaker 04

Popping my cherry. It's like kind of like not sacred anymore to have my, my dick and balls up against the window, so.

• 1:06:22Brooke Averick?

  I'm sorry Connor.

• 1:06:23Speaker 04

It's okay. It's just like a growth thing. That's why I'm looking at my notes. There's noises that happen on every side of my apartment because the radiator. And I've never had a radiator. And you can't turn it off. And it sounds like there are people living in my walls clanking with a wrench on a metal pole. Gang, gang, gang, gang, all night.

• 1:06:42Brooke Averick?

Yeah. That's the tough thing about radiators.

• 1:06:46Speaker 04

And I asked to turn it off and they said you can't. It's the whole building.

• 1:06:49Brooke Averick?

  Yeah.

• 1:06:49Speaker 04

  And it's all together.

• 1:06:51Brooke Averick?

  Yeah.

• 1:06:51Speaker 04

And every time I post something, everyone goes, yeah, welcome to New York.

• 1:06:57Speaker 04

  Fuck you, by the way.

• 1:06:58Brooke Averick?

That also happens in other states too with buildings.

• 1:07:01Speaker 04

  Yeah, yeah, yeah, bro. Yeah.

• 1:07:06Brooke Averick?

Yeah. No, I had a radiator in Pennsylvania as well.

• 1:07:09Speaker 04

  That is-

• 1:07:09Brooke Averick?

Believe it or not, believe it or not, read it and weep. I had a clanker in Pennsylvania.

• 1:07:15Speaker 04

You had a clanker? So you know what I'm talking about?

• 1:07:17Brooke Averick?

I know exactly what you're talking about. My first apartment in Philly. Non-stop all night.

• 1:07:22Speaker 04

Like everyone in the apartment, that was like that my realtor came and the leasing agent and then the, the super, the landlord. She's lovely.

• 1:07:32Brooke Averick?

  Oh, great.

• 1:07:33Speaker 04

I'm gonna post a TikTok about her later, which I probably shouldn't.

• 1:07:36Brooke Averick?

  I'm sure she'll love it.

• 1:07:37Speaker 04

I'm addicted to her. She's so funny. Oh my gosh. Um, and-

• 1:07:45Speaker 04

I grabbed the metal pole that's about a million degrees because I didn't realize that it's part of the

• 1:07:49Brooke Averick?

Yeah, you live and you learn about like the do's and don'ts of radiator.

• 1:07:53Speaker 04

And she's from Brazil and she's like so classy like, oh, like here, over here is the light switches. She's so classy and like dressed so nice. And I go, oh, yes, of course. Yes, of course. Oh, and I love, I love the open floor plan and I love, I love the crown molding. And then I grab this pole and I go, motherfucking shit, fuck. And she goes, oh, like she clutched her pearls. And I was like, oh, I'm so sorry. Um, that just slipped out. The pole was a million degrees. All right, we gotta go. We gotta go, y'all.

• 1:08:25Brooke Averick?

Um, yeah, I just want to encourage everyone to go to youtube.com and watch the recording of Legally Blonde that MTV did a few years ago, Legally Blonde the Musical. Can't stop, uh, thinking about it, listening to it, watching it. I'm having a, like, an episode. So we are all so lucky that that is available on YouTube for us to watch and go ahead and listen to that soundtrack. And I, I'll, I'll be speaking about that more in the bonus. Connor, I know you're looking forward to it.
