Uh, this one says that Erika's dream man is Joe Jonas.

• 0:35Speaker 02

  Yes!

• 0:36Speaker 03

Not true. Not true. Scott is her dream man. Joe Jonas.

• 0:48Drew Afualo?

Hey, everyone, and welcome back to another episode of the Comment Section Show, starring me, your fave, everybody knows me, cares about me. Onto the guests. Today, we have another banger all-star episode. One of my favorite couples of all time, Erica and Scotty.

  Welcome back, team.

• 1:05Speaker 02

  Thank you.

• 1:06Drew Afualo?

Oh, my gosh, I'm so happy to have you both.

• 1:08Speaker 02

  Thanks. It's always fun.

• 1:10Drew Afualo?

It is. It's a blast. Even though we haven't seen each other in two years. But it's been a ride.

• 1:15Speaker 02

So much to catch up on.

• 1:17Drew Afualo?

We have a lot to catch up on, and we were catching up before this.

• 1:19Speaker 02

  Yes, we were.

• 1:20Drew Afualo?

  Talking about people we hate.

• 1:21Speaker 03

  We were.

• 1:21Drew Afualo?

  We love that.

• 1:22Speaker 02

My favorite thing to do. Favorite thing to do is talk shit.

• 1:25Drew Afualo?

That's my favorite thing to do, in this industry especially.

• 1:27Speaker 02

  Oh, my gosh.

• 1:28Drew Afualo?

When you meet people and you're like, who's someone you hate?

• 1:30Speaker 02

Yeah. And when you both have the same person, it's like you buy the most fries.

• 1:36Drew Afualo?

I feel like that meme levitating with a light shooting out of my chest.

• 1:39Speaker 02

Literally. No, that was us two seconds ago.

• 1:42Drew Afualo?

So excited to have you guys back.

• 1:43Speaker 02

  Thanks.

• 1:44Drew Afualo?

  How's life been?

• 1:46Speaker 02

  Life has been great.

• 1:47Drew Afualo?

I got no complaints. What'd you say?

• 1:49Speaker 03

  No complaints.

• 1:50Drew Afualo?

No complaints. Perfect. I can't remember if you guys were married when you were here last.

• 1:53Speaker 02

  We were.

• 1:54Drew Afualo?

I think so. You had just gotten married.

• 1:55Speaker 02

  I think so.

• 1:56Drew Afualo?

  Okay, cool.

• 1:57Speaker 02

  Wow, it's been so long.

• 1:59Speaker 03

And we are unmarried since then. But we're great friends.

• 2:04Drew Afualo?

  We're doing an announcement.

• 2:05Speaker 03

We have a couple of ads to get through.

• 2:08Speaker 02

Please engage, please support. Um, yeah, no, everything's been great. We're honestly so blessed. Love.

• 2:15Speaker 03

  Yes.

• 2:16Drew Afualo?

What's new, what's new in careers for y'all? I know you're in Peacock shows.

• 2:20Speaker 02

  Thank you.

• 2:21Drew Afualo?

  Oh my gosh, how exciting.

• 2:22Speaker 02

  Thanks for bringing it up.

• 2:24Speaker 02

I, yes, I was in their, they're testing out like short form, um, kind of series and I was lucky to be a part of three out of the four and Scott was in two.

• 2:35Drew Afualo?

  Okay, period.

• 2:36Speaker 03

One of the quickest cameras you've ever seen, but I'm in two. One I did, I did pretty good.

• 2:41Speaker 02

You did, you did great. Um, yeah, that's, that's like the newest and just, you know, really taking acting serious. That's always been the goal, so.

• 2:50Drew Afualo?

I love. And Scotty, you have a clothing brand?

• 2:53Speaker 03

  I do.

• 2:53Drew Afualo?

  Which, how's that going?

• 2:55Speaker 03

Very good, very good. Uh, this, I'm doing like a, kind of like a part two to my second collection, so.

• 3:00Drew Afualo?

  Very cool.

• 3:01Speaker 03

Tote bags and hats will be releasing first day of summer, June 20th.

• 3:07Drew Afualo?

  The shit is cool.

• 3:07Speaker 03

  Thank you so much.

• 3:08Drew Afualo?

  I love it.

• 3:08Speaker 03

  Thank you.

• 3:09Drew Afualo?

I think that's so awesome. Power couple.

• 3:11Speaker 03

  Trying, trying.

• 3:13Drew Afualo?

I was trying to convince, I was trying to convince them that they need to do a podcast.

• 3:17Speaker 02

Yeah, we, we talk about it. We want to just do like a different kind of like version of it. Yeah, we're, I, I don't know, we have some ideas for sure, but it's definitely not something that's out of the question.

• 3:29Speaker 03

Us with consistency is a, um.

• 3:31Speaker 02

That is a big one. Thanks for bringing that up, hun.

• 3:33Speaker 03

Just to, uh, piggyback on what you were saying.

• 3:37Speaker 03

It's hard for us to get on the schedule.

• 3:39Drew Afualo?

For real. Yeah, when you work for yourself, it's real hard.

• 3:42Speaker 02

Here's the thing, we have so much time.

• 3:44Speaker 03

  That's the thing.

• 3:45Speaker 02

  So much time.

• 3:46Drew Afualo?

Yeah, I like have nothing but time and sometimes I'm like.

• 3:47Speaker 03

It's just to dedicate it. Get it all set up.

• 3:50Speaker 02

I just am not organized, but you know, um, you know.

• 3:54Speaker 03

  We're gonna get there.

• 3:55Speaker 02

  We'll, we'll see.

• 3:55Speaker 03

We're gonna be talking more in front of a camera if you want us to or not.

• 3:58Drew Afualo?

Yeah, whether, whether anyone asks for it or not.

• 4:00Speaker 03

  Yeah.

• 4:01Drew Afualo?

Nobody asked me and I did.

• 4:02Speaker 02

Will, yeah, he'll, he'll watch us.

• 4:04Speaker 03

Exactly, yeah, we're gonna be there.

• 4:05Speaker 02

That's the vibe, that's the vibe.

• 4:06Drew Afualo?

I love that. And you're taking acting seriously? I actually just started venturing into acting this year.

• 4:11Speaker 02

  Ooh, go on.

• 4:12Drew Afualo?

Right. And so I'm, I've done a. I think it's really fun. I just also think it's a huge joke at the same time.

• 4:19Speaker 02

  Right.

• 4:19Drew Afualo?

This is why. Cause sometimes when you do auditions or reads or whatever, and then you find out who got cast or you hear about other casting, you're like,

• 4:26Speaker 02

  Right.

• 4:26Drew Afualo?

Oh, so it's all just made up.

• 4:28Speaker 03

  Yep.

• 4:28Drew Afualo?

It all just like depends on their vibe.

• 4:30Speaker 02

  Yeah, no, you really can't.

• 4:31Drew Afualo?

Yeah, they're like, everything's perfect, except I hate your eyes. So I'm gonna pick somebody else.

• 4:37Speaker 03

Nothing you can do about it, but if I could look past it, we'll get through it.

• 4:40Drew Afualo?

Yeah, but I can't see it.

• 4:42Speaker 03

  I'm not looking past.

• 4:43Speaker 02

It's just luck. It really is just luck.

• 4:45Drew Afualo?

Yeah, it's dumb luck in a lot of ways. Skill too, but obviously I think like casting nowadays, a lot of times it's like truly based off what they think the character is supposed to look like.

• 4:55Speaker 02

  Yeah.

• 4:55Drew Afualo?

And they're like, not you, sorry.

• 4:57Speaker 02

The only reason I've ever been casted was because my friends are the ones that wrote the shows, so.

• 5:02Drew Afualo?

That's how I'm planning on getting into.

• 5:04Speaker 02

  Right, right.

• 5:04Drew Afualo?

I'm going in a back door. Fuck you guys.

• 5:06Speaker 03

If the door's available, you go in it. You won't be like, I can't do it. It's open.

• 5:12Drew Afualo?

Yeah. Listen, I'm gonna take every and any opportunity.

• 5:15Speaker 02

  A hundred percent.

• 5:16Drew Afualo?

Have you been doing acting classes or anything?

• 5:18Speaker 02

Yeah, la- last year I did a one-year, um, acting class and this year I wanna start doing improv.

• 5:25Drew Afualo?

  Fun.

• 5:26Speaker 02

  Um, yeah, I'm scared.

• 5:28Speaker 03

That was your second class though, right?

• 5:29Speaker 02

Yeah, well, it was like my first, like, one-year program. I did like little, like, seven-week programs here and there, but

• 5:36Speaker 03

  Yep.

• 5:36Speaker 02

Yeah, I wanna just, yeah, try out impro- improv and see how it goes.

• 5:42Speaker 03

  You would kill improv.

• 5:43Speaker 02

  I don't know.

• 5:43Drew Afualo?

I think you're built for improv, to be honest.

• 5:45Speaker 02

I don't, I could barely talk now, so I don't know how that would even be possible.

• 5:49Drew Afualo?

This is like, I feel like actors a lot of times too, they're like, being myself is a lot harder than being somebody else.

• 5:55Speaker 03

  For sure.

• 5:55Drew Afualo?

So like, being myself feels too vulnerable, so I, I like playing other characters. Maybe that's why you're like, really good at playing a character.

• 6:02Speaker 02

Yeah, maybe. Imagine I had a wig right here. This is perfect improv right now.

• 6:06Drew Afualo?

  It's actually a great transition.

• 6:07Speaker 02

No, thank you so much. We're actually trying it out now, live.

• 6:11Drew Afualo?

I've done a couple reads. I did, I like low-key bullied, uh, the studio that is making the live-action Moana into giving me a read.

• 6:18Speaker 02

  What's the latest? Yeah.

• 6:19Drew Afualo?

Well, um, nothing. Uh, clearly I'm here. Uh, they're currently filming it.

• 6:24Speaker 03

  Thanks for bringing it up.

• 6:26Drew Afualo?

It's actually really hard for me to talk about.

• 6:29Drew Afualo?

Um, no, uh, but the funny part about that is I made a TikTok joking about it because I was saying like, was anyone gonna fucking call me? There's only two of us and one of them's already in it. So what the fuck like? I'm built like the rock too. Why nobody called me? Like I was all pissed off and I'm on, on a TikTok. I like made it and it did well. And then Deadline wrote an article about it and they wrote, they quoted me as the headline. They said Drew F. Waller says, I'll play Moana's dad if that's what it takes. Hey, why is that the one line you clip?

• 6:58Speaker 03

  Headlines are insane.

• 6:59Drew Afualo?

Won't you clip that one? I said a lot of other things too, but that's the one they pulled. And then it was almost like, uh, like public pressure. They sent me a, like they were like, oh, I didn't know Drew was interested in reading. So they sent me like background roles.

• 7:14Speaker 03

  Oh, that's cool.

• 7:15Drew Afualo?

And so they sent all men, mind you, and there was like, it was coconut farmer one, angry coconut farmer, and then like fisherman. And I wanted to be-

• 7:24Speaker 02

  So what'd you read for?

• 7:25Drew Afualo?

All, I read for all three of them.

• 7:26Speaker 02

  Okay.

• 7:27Speaker 03

Which one would you have wanted the most?

• 7:28Speaker 02

  Angry, oh, they angry.

• 7:31Drew Afualo?

I wanted fisherman because he had the most lines. So I was like, he, obviously he, him, because in the script it says he. And so I read for all of them, didn't get one. He said, oh.

• 7:44Speaker 02

We're out here trying, you know?

• 7:45Drew Afualo?

I'm doing my best. And you know how I found out? What's funny about how I found out is I was talking to one of my other buddies at like a, AAPI event and we were chatting and I was like, oh yeah, I did a read for like the live action one. And I did a couple reads. He goes, oh, really? That's cool. And I go, yeah. He goes, yeah, they're filming right now in, in Georgia, right? And I go, I actually didn't know that.

• 8:04Speaker 03

He's like, my friends, the fishermen.

• 8:05Drew Afualo?

Yeah, I was like, actually, uh, I have a couple of calls to make. I'll be right back.

• 8:08Speaker 03

  He's killing it out there.

• 8:09Speaker 02

  I'm like, oh.

• 8:12Drew Afualo?

My sister was sitting with me and I was like, I actually didn't know that, believe it or not.

• 8:16Speaker 02

Yeah, just waiting to hear back, so.

• 8:18Speaker 03

  No, I'm hyped about it.

• 8:19Drew Afualo?

  Any day now.

• 8:20Speaker 02

They might be filming my part later on.

• 8:22Drew Afualo?

My call time is, I'm sure later.

• 8:26Speaker 02

No, that's crazy. It is a really hard industry, though.

• 8:29Drew Afualo?

  It's crazy, yeah.

• 8:30Speaker 02

It is crazy. There's a lot of competition, but um I know I was born to be a star. So I will not give up.

• 8:38Drew Afualo?

That's true. I think that about you.

• 8:40Speaker 02

You know, so neither should you. I want you and Moana.

• 8:43Speaker 03

  Yeah, you guys both have.

• 8:45Drew Afualo?

Yeah. How about that? How about that? What about you, Scotty? Did you have fun acting?

• 8:48Speaker 03

  I had a great time.

• 8:49Drew Afualo?

  I think it's fun.

• 8:50Speaker 03

I think it's a good time. I think honestly, it was way like I I took it. I was like, oh, I'm gonna kill it. I got scared, like, right? Like, it's my boy.

• 8:58Drew Afualo?

  You need that, too, yeah.

• 8:59Speaker 03

People like me, everyone's streaming on Peacock. My friend Darren, Ava, Jonathan. They they wrote amazing shows and they're like so down to earth and I'm like so comfortable with all them. And it was like, we sat down, excuse me, and he was like, alright, go ahead. And I was like, I lost everything. I was like, my eyes went big. I was like, are you good? I was like, give me a second.

• 9:23Drew Afualo?

  Jeez, relax.

• 9:25Speaker 02

It is so much pressure, so many lights, so many mics, so many people.

• 9:28Speaker 03

And then you gotta do it again and again, different angles. And I was like, it was so much fun. It was the best experience ever, but I was like.

• 9:34Drew Afualo?

  It's a lot, yeah.

• 9:36Speaker 02

I freaked out in one of uh my scenes, um to the point where the audio guy came in and said, we're gonna have to run that again because I couldn't hear you over your heartbeat. Are you having a panic attack? Damn, calm down.

• 9:50Speaker 02

No, he was mad Spanish. So he was mad Hispanic. So he came in, he's like, no, we're gonna have to do that again. Eh, te está dando un ataque de pánico. You're having a panic attack.

• 10:03Speaker 02

He's like, we're gonna have to do it again. He said it mad loud in front of everyone. I was like.

• 10:07Drew Afualo?

  This one's fucking nervous.

• 10:10Speaker 02

So now I fucking, I know to get mic'd on not on top of my heart.

• 10:15Speaker 03

  That's a learning experience.

• 10:16Speaker 02

  It's all an experience.

• 10:17Speaker 03

  It's a learning experience.

• 10:18Speaker 02

We just live and we learn.

• 10:20Speaker 03

How would we figure that out without that?

• 10:21Drew Afualo?

  No, that is.

• 10:21Speaker 02

  We live and we learn.

• 10:22Drew Afualo?

  That's very real, especially.

• 10:24Speaker 02

  You ever get nervous?

• 10:25Drew Afualo?

The only time I've ever been nervous was when I did stand up for the first time. Did you win? Yeah.

• 10:31Speaker 02

  I did.

• 10:31Drew Afualo?

There's so much me to catch up on. Yeah, we have so much to catch up on. Two years. Two years. That's why we do it. I did Caleb, my friend Caleb Aaron. I love him. Yeah, I love him. Yeah, one of the funniest people alive, whatever.

• 10:41Speaker 02

  For real.

• 10:42Drew Afualo?

Top. Yeah, fucking hate him. He's just so natural. He is. You wanna talk about someone who, fuck it, I hate him. He's so bad. He's following me.

• 10:51Speaker 02

He's fisherman. He's got the fucking.

• 10:52Drew Afualo?

  He's. Yeah, oh my god. I bet. That's D E I. They're cutting D E I. That's why they took him and not me.

• 10:57Speaker 02

  Of course.

• 10:57Drew Afualo?

  Obviously.

• 10:58Speaker 02

  Of course.

• 10:58Drew Afualo?

But he was doing a closing show for his tour at the Largo in LA. And he asked me to do fifteen and it was because I had told him another comedian had asked me to do fifteen later on in the year, and this was last year, and I was like, uh, asking him for help. I was like, I'd love some guidance on how to write it and stuff. And he was like.

• 11:20Speaker 02

  Experience.

• 11:20Drew Afualo?

Yeah, and he told me, he's like, bitch, if you're gonna do fifteen for her, you gotta do fifteen for me. Cause he's been asking me forever. And I was like, I just don't. And he was like, you have to do it for me. If you're gonna do it for her, I'm your actual friend. I was like, alright. Relax. Don't pull that gun on me. And so then he actually helped me build my fifteen. Oh, that's awesome. And I did the Largo with him and Chris Fleming. Do you guys know Chris Fleming? One of the funniest people.

• 11:44Speaker 02

  So fucking funny.

• 11:45Drew Afualo?

To ever exist. I've told Chris Fleming, I'm like, uh, if, you know how like, you know when football players like, sometimes they're like, donate my brain to science? When Chris Fleming, when something happens to him, knock on wood, I called dibs on the brain. I said, I called dibs on that brain. What's going on in there? I got it. I'm cutting. I have, I've never, he made a joke in one of his dances, where he's talking about the SNL 50th.

• 12:07Speaker 02

  Okay, yes.

• 12:08Drew Afualo?

Like, and he was like, does anyone know if SNL's been celebrating anything lately? It hasn't really been that obvious. Cause they kept talking about it for fucking everything.

• 12:15Speaker 02

  Yeah.

• 12:16Drew Afualo?

And then he was, he called Jimmy Fallon, this me to Lorne Michaels captain hook. And I was like, I'll kill you. I'll kill you with a fucking gun. I literally was like, are you insane? I was like, my brain could never, my brain couldn't, I laughed so hard, tears ran down my face. I can't stand that motherfucker.

• 12:33Speaker 02

  Some people are just quick.

• 12:34Drew Afualo?

He's crazy. His brain works in a way that I could never conceive, so I had no idea he was the other opener on Caleb's show. Um, he told me when I got there and I was like, oh, so fuck me then, okay, perfect. So I opened for, I have never in my life been that nervous. And I think it's because I love stand-up, like stand-up has been like one of my favorite art forms. Yeah, it's like one of the ones I'm actively avoiding because I'm so afraid.

• 12:57Speaker 02

  Rich, you would kill it.

• 12:59Speaker 03

Were you nervous the whole time?

• 13:01Drew Afualo?

Yeah, I was nervous the whole time. Yeah, even as soon as I got out there. And Caleb even told me, he said, don't open with anything like, this is my first time, like, don't open with anything like that. He was like, because then people will start judging your jokes as if they know. And I was like, okay. So when I, when he introduced me, I was the first one, Chris Fleming was second, and then obviously Caleb. When I went up, he, I got a huge applause because he asked me, do you want me to promote it? And I was like, no, I don't want to promote it, because I'm afraid.

• 13:27Speaker 03

  That's cool, that's cool.

• 13:28Drew Afualo?

But also, I was like, also, I want to see if I'm funny. Like, I don't, I know I love my fans, I think I, I think they know what funny is, but I also think they'll laugh at anything I say. So I wanted to find out for real, like, if I'm funny. And he was like, I think that's so brave. Well, I guess we'll see.

• 13:43Drew Afualo?

Yeah, you're right, we will. And I got a huge, like, a huge applause because nobody knew I was gonna be there. And the one I came out was like, bigger applause than Caleb, perfect. Started strong, keep that up throughout the whole thing. And I even told Caleb, I was like, it's okay, if it goes bad, I put a gun under everyone's seat and I have another way of ending it, trust me. Either everyone laughs, or no one goes home, how's that?

• 14:06Speaker 03

Well, that was your last chance.

• 14:09Drew Afualo?

Go ahead and giggle for me. But that's the only time I've ever really been nervous.

• 14:12Speaker 02

Wow. Are you happy you did it?

• 14:15Drew Afualo?

I'm glad I did it. I am, I, I, it was really fun, but I was like, I do need to work on some stuff. But I was, I don't know how the fuck they memorize it, to be honest. Like, sometimes they'll write notes just so they know taglines for their jokes, but memorizing an entire hour is just crazy to me.

• 14:30Speaker 02

I don't know how they do it. Also, like, if there is some crowd work trickled in there too, you lost me.

• 14:35Drew Afualo?

  Yeah, where was I?

• 14:36Speaker 02

  Where'd you get those fans?

• 14:39Drew Afualo?

Literally would get so distraught, I'd be like, where was I?

• 14:43Speaker 03

I'd be asking the crowd, I say, where was I?

• 14:46Drew Afualo?

Where was I at, guys? Do you guys remember?

• 14:47Speaker 03

I was in the pants and everything.

• 14:48Speaker 02

What did I say? What did I say, seriously? No, actually, that would be me. So, yeah, it's really, I don't know how they do it. Me either.

• 14:56Speaker 03

And also, I always think about it where it's like when they go on tour, you're saying a couple of different new jokes, but like, you're saying the same routine. I'm like, you really gotta believe it each time.

• 15:07Speaker 02

  You're acting, you're acting.

• 15:09Speaker 03

Cause you're like, it's like, no one's ever heard this before, but last night, everyone did and laughed. But, oh, that's.

• 15:15Speaker 02

At my last show, like, I would really, I don't know if I could keep laughing.

• 15:20Speaker 03

I'm saying the jokes, all types are different now.

• 15:22Drew Afualo?

You guys have terrible taste, I hate that joke.

• 15:26Speaker 03

Yeah, I was like, they laughed yesterday.

• 15:28Speaker 02

I don't know how to do it.

• 15:30Drew Afualo?

That's so true, though, cause I, when I went on tour last year with my sister for To Itty Girls for the book tour, we did 22 dates, 22 shows, so like, live shows and they're user-generated, so we do get dating horror stories from the audience. The one we always pick is, what's the worst thing they did and you stayed? Cause it always has a hilarious answer to it. And so, we collect them after the meet and greet, we collect them, pick the funniest ones, and then we kind of riff for like 20 minutes, and then the rest of the show is reading those and then talking to the audience. So, it's like, it's a really fun show, but it was one of those things where, it kind of similar to the stand-up bit, where certain jokes would work in certain cities, but sometimes they wouldn't hit in others. So, like, I remember we were in, I think we were in, where are we?

• 16:13Drew Afualo?

Dallas, we were in Dallas, and for some reason, oh, cause we watched Planet of the Apes on the tour bus, and we love that franchise. I don't know what it is, but we were just really down with the monkeys. So, we, we kept, I kept making this joke, apes together, strong. I was like, that's us to you guys. Every time we make a joke, you laugh, cause apes together, strong. I made that joke probably 32 times that night. Killed every time, they were like, ah! I brought that house down with that apes joke. Next city we went to, still in Texas, went to another city. I made it one time in the beginning, not one laugh. Ooh, put it back on the shelf, never mind. Also, the apes aren't hidden here.

• 16:50Speaker 02

Maybe you guys didn't hear me the first time.

• 16:52Drew Afualo?

  Did you guys get that?

• 16:53Speaker 03

You guys know what I'm saying, right? The movie, Planet of the Apes. There's a lot of Planet of the Apes, they all go ape. Everyone's like.

• 17:01Drew Afualo?

That's why I was like, right, so they don't laugh at apes here.

• 17:04Speaker 02

  Right, right, right.

• 17:05Speaker 03

I was really banking on that ape for like the rest of the night.

• 17:08Drew Afualo?

And I honestly, like, I was so confident in it because I couldn't believe as many times as I whipped it out, they laughed. And I was like, damn, Texas really thinks monkeys are funny.

• 17:17Speaker 03

  They love that movie though.

• 17:19Drew Afualo?

  In Dallas.

• 17:20Speaker 03

  I relate.

• 17:23Speaker 02

Not in all of parts, I guess. That is crazy.

• 17:26Drew Afualo?

Yeah, it's weird to see what.

• 17:28Speaker 03

It's so like temperamentally, you know.

• 17:28Drew Afualo?

Yeah, and then there's also like certain areas I know I can make jokes, like when we were in the PNW, made a couple like feelings. This is where gay people come to learn how to communicate and course correct people is the PNW. And so I made a couple of jokes like that, brought the house down. Now, could I make those jokes in fucking Austin, Texas? Absolutely not. They won't laugh.

• 17:48Speaker 02

There are just certain things you know whether or not it's gonna hit.

• 17:51Drew Afualo?

Yeah, even in Austin, I made a couple of jokes about the Iron Claw Brothers. I was like, aren't they from Austin? And they were like, yeah. I was like, yeah, and they laughed.

• 18:00Drew Afualo?

It just depends. Really just depends.

• 18:03Speaker 02

  Depends on the vibe.

• 18:03Drew Afualo?

Oh, and our opening night show was in New York, is at the Gramercy Theater here. And I told a story about like, I think it was like a couple of years ago, we were in New York and we were driving. And we were in this like party bus, because I didn't pay for it, like the brand like bought this insane party bus, but there's only three of us.

• 18:21Speaker 03

  Just hella room.

• 18:22Drew Afualo?

Yeah, someone's back, someone's facing me, and we're like, just sitting in there, and it like has all the neon lights and shit.

• 18:28Speaker 03

Yeah, the lights are all going.

• 18:29Drew Afualo?

Yeah, and the guy was driving insane because it's New York. And I remember he like, he almost like hit someone and they were both rolled down their windows. This dude's in a suit, like driving us in the car. And then he was like, the other guy was like, get the fuck out of here. Like, they're like yelling, and he's like, your mother. And then he rolls the window up. That joke killed in New York. Like, they were like, oh my god, that's the funniest.

• 18:53Drew Afualo?

But I couldn't tell that joke in fucking Denver.

• 18:56Speaker 02

No, they would not get it.

• 18:58Speaker 03

They're like, what about his mother? What, what, what does she have to do with this?

• 19:01Speaker 02

Wait, so how did it end?

• 19:03Speaker 03

His mom, his mom was there?

• 19:05Drew Afualo?

  Yeah.

• 19:05Speaker 03

  You're fighting for your.

• 19:06Drew Afualo?

I know, I just, I thought that was the funniest. He's like, "Ya mother," and then rolled the window up.

• 19:10Speaker 03

And that's it. And that was it. The other guy was like, "Damn."

• 19:13Drew Afualo?

Yeah, he's like, "He fucking got my ass."

• 19:15Speaker 02

Oh my, I love that. I love the road rage.

• 19:17Drew Afualo?

  Yeah.

• 19:18Speaker 02

  So funny.

• 19:19Drew Afualo?

I know the, the isms here are like hilarious. The things that people say here are just unbelievable. Are you guys, you're both from Jersey?

• 19:25Speaker 03

  Yep.

• 19:26Drew Afualo?

Mm-hmm. Okay, cool. Do you, and you want to stay in Jersey, not come to New York?

• 19:30Speaker 03

  Nope.

• 19:30Drew Afualo?

  Yeah, I feel you.

• 19:32Speaker 03

We come to New York a lot, but we leave.

• 19:35Drew Afualo?

  Yeah.

• 19:35Speaker 02

  Yeah.

• 19:36Drew Afualo?

  It's one of those.

• 19:37Speaker 02

It's just not my vibe, like, I don't like.

• 19:39Speaker 03

  Cars.

• 19:40Speaker 02

I also just don't like people that much, like, to be like, you know what I mean?

• 19:44Drew Afualo?

  Mashed up against each other.

• 19:45Speaker 02

Like, it's just too much. Like, I need peace. Like, I need to be by myself, um, and I don't think that I would find that in New York.

• 19:52Drew Afualo?

I know. No matter how many times I come here, I'm like, I, I love, I love it here.

• 19:56Speaker 02

  I love the vibe.

• 19:57Drew Afualo?

  I could never live here.

• 19:57Speaker 02

  Temporarily.

• 19:58Drew Afualo?

  Could never.

• 19:59Speaker 03

We were just here for a show two days ago, sponsoring this little day.

• 20:02Speaker 02

Yeah, we, we love coming in and out, but it's, yeah, because it's a luxury to have it, like, close enough where we can, like, just go home. But yeah, also, like, I just love my family and like.

• 20:48Speaker 02

Like, we love being close to them, so...

• 20:49Drew Afualo?

  You're so me.

• 20:50Speaker 02

  Yeah.

• 20:50Drew Afualo?

Both of you are so me.

• 20:51Speaker 03

  And big Targets, big Walmarts.

• 20:53Speaker 02

  Big Targets.

• 20:53Speaker 03

  If we're going to them.

• 20:54Drew Afualo?

I could fucking drive my car.

• 20:56Speaker 03

Depends on when, don't get me wrong. We're not going now, but...

• 20:59Drew Afualo?

  Yeah.

• 21:00Speaker 03

  All big stores, super stores.

• 21:01Drew Afualo?

And parking is like a huge thing.

• 21:04Speaker 03

  Oh, yeah.

• 21:05Drew Afualo?

That's how it is in LA, too.

• 21:05Speaker 03

We could go to a park and there'd be like two people in it. It's like a beautiful thing.

• 21:08Drew Afualo?

  Yeah.

• 21:09Speaker 02

  Hundred percent.

• 21:09Drew Afualo?

  You need the distance.

• 21:10Speaker 02

  Hundred percent.

• 21:11Drew Afualo?

What's like a dream goal of yours? What would be like a dream thing for you to do in your career? Both of you.

• 21:16Speaker 02

Ooh, um, I think, well, obviously, like, I want to get into acting, like, more roles. I would love to do, like, voice acting.

• 21:27Drew Afualo?

  Oh, cool.

• 21:28Speaker 02

Like, I just think that that would be so cool to do, just do like an animated, something animated.

• 21:33Drew Afualo?

Like, an adult cartoon or like a kid's cartoon?

• 21:35Speaker 02

Um, probably an adult one would be funny. Um, it, honestly, no, it could be anything, because I can picture myself, we were just talking to everyone about, like, just like movies, like Inside Out and like element all these movies. I'm like, I could fucking do that shit.

• 21:50Drew Afualo?

Secret Life of Pets, we love that movie.

• 21:52Speaker 02

Yeah, a hundred percent, such a good banger.

• 21:54Drew Afualo?

  Elemental.

• 21:55Speaker 02

  Yes.

• 21:55Speaker 03

  Oh, yeah.

• 21:56Speaker 02

They were just telling us to watch it.

• 21:57Speaker 03

They're saying, we haven't seen it, we have to see it.

• 21:58Drew Afualo?

  You have to watch it.

• 21:59Speaker 02

  Yeah, we have to.

• 22:00Speaker 03

  Because we love them.

• 22:00Drew Afualo?

That movie is not forget, that movie has so many adult themes, it's crazy.

• 22:03Speaker 02

  So serious.

• 22:04Drew Afualo?

Generational trauma, immigration, racism, interracial dating. Crazy.

• 22:08Speaker 02

I need to watch it, I'm gonna cry later.

• 22:10Drew Afualo?

  I was watching...

• 22:10Speaker 03

Yeah, I'm gonna cry, that's the problem, I'd just be crying.

• 22:12Drew Afualo?

No, for real, I sobbed, and that's, like, Billy has a video of me, because I was like, why would they make this movie? Like, for what? Mind, mind you, while I'm, while I'm sobbing and having a nervous breakdown, I'm holding one of my Frenchies and he's going, "Ahhhhh", like, in my arms, like, he's like snoring so loud you can barely hear me, and I was like, oh, embarrassing. Don't post that anywhere. It's in my stomach. But, oh, but to the acting gig, too. I also was in the NBA commercial, so I get.

• 22:42Speaker 02

  I saw you.

• 22:43Drew Afualo?

  Yes.

• 22:44Speaker 02

  I saw you.

• 22:44Speaker 03

Live, we watch you. That was sick.

• 22:46Speaker 02

  So fucking crazy.

• 22:47Drew Afualo?

But I want to say to your point about like, it's all like, oh yeah, this is so chill. And then when you get there and you start doing, you're like, alright, I'm a little, uh oh. Like, oh, this is for real.

• 22:55Speaker 03

  I underestimated this.

• 22:56Speaker 02

  They are serious.

• 22:57Drew Afualo?

Honestly, when I'm in situations like that too, I think to myself, damn, you guys really want to hire me? Alright.

• 23:02Speaker 03

  Like imposter syndrome.

• 23:04Drew Afualo?

  Yeah, exactly.

• 23:05Speaker 02

  It is that vibe.

• 23:06Speaker 03

I shouldn't be here. I shouldn't be this. There was like, shut out.

• 23:09Speaker 02

People are literally being paid, like, to be here, like, working, like, on this ad right now with me.

• 23:15Drew Afualo?

I was like, me and Kai Sennett, you know, when I think of the NBA, I think of me and Kai.

• 23:18Speaker 03

That's the first two people I think of. I bought both, I got both of your jerseys.

• 23:23Speaker 02

  So wild.

• 23:24Speaker 03

  Both jerseys.

• 23:24Drew Afualo?

  No.

• 23:28Drew Afualo?

Why me and Kai Sennett? I don't know. And they made us meet and they were like, oh, we'll have you meet Kai right before. And I was like, alright. Like, we weren't in anything together, so like, we filmed everything separately. And he was doing Olympic stuff at the same time, I wasn't. So, they just like made us meet and it felt like toddlers, like, a playdate, like, go on. Go on. And then we were like, nice to meet you.

• 23:49Speaker 02

Oh, did you get to talk at all or no?

• 23:52Drew Afualo?

Not really, honestly, he was like, first of all, he's this big, which, I mean, yeah. And he had the biggest security guard with him too, it was just the two of them.

• 24:00Speaker 02

  That is crazy.

• 24:00Drew Afualo?

  And I was like.

• 24:01Speaker 03

He was actually just really average height, the security guard.

• 24:05Drew Afualo?

Right, for real. No, for real.

• 24:07Speaker 02

  Oh.

• 24:08Drew Afualo?

But that, that was, that one was crazy because it felt random, but then it also felt like hilarious, because I was like, y'all picked me out of everyone, that's so funny.

• 24:17Speaker 02

  Wild.

• 24:18Drew Afualo?

  Yeah.

• 24:19Speaker 03

  That was so cool.

• 24:19Speaker 02

We saw it, we're like, true.

• 24:20Speaker 03

Yeah, that was so sick. It was so cool.

• 24:22Drew Afualo?

I was like, follow me, Kelly, that was my one line.

• 24:24Speaker 03

We're like, put her in, put her in the game.

• 24:25Speaker 02

It's my basketball, I love it.

• 24:27Drew Afualo?

And I was, I was laughing too, because when they sat me initially, like, to get ready for my shot, they were like going over like, oh, we need you to close this laptop and then get up and then, I was like, okay. And there's like, probably 50 or 60 extras. And so, all of the extras are varying ages, they all are dressed in different, like, jerseys, whatever. And they were like, some of them, I think, kinda knew me, but for the most part, no one really gave a fuck, which I was cool with. And then, uh, when Kelly Rowland got there, it was all like, oh my god, oh my god, oh my god. And I was like, wow, no reaction from me, but.

• 24:59Speaker 02

  Okay, I guess Kelly Roland.

• 25:01Drew Afualo?

  I guess Kelly.

• 25:03Speaker 02

  Honestly, a star, honestly.

• 25:04Drew Afualo?

Right. And I think you guys.

• 25:07Speaker 03

  I mean, she's good. I love Kelly, don't give me a roll.

• 25:11Drew Afualo?

Yeah, sure. Justice for Kelly. Yeah, it's I think.

• 25:14Speaker 03

  Dilemma.

• 25:15Drew Afualo?

It's funny too, because I feel like you guys know this too, because we're like content creators first to brands. Sometimes they're like, well, we're filming with this other person. Do you want to just like go make a TikTok with them? And I'm like. Yeah, I'm like.

• 25:27Speaker 03

  You're like, no, not really.

• 25:28Drew Afualo?

  Yeah, I literally, I'm like, I'm okay.

• 25:29Speaker 03

  Yeah.

• 25:30Drew Afualo?

  And they were like.

• 25:30Speaker 02

My brain doesn't work like that.

• 25:31Drew Afualo?

  Me either.

• 25:32Speaker 02

  I'm like, I don't, I'd rather just talk.

• 25:34Drew Afualo?

  Me too.

• 25:38Speaker 02

It's like, I fucking hate that shit, bro.

• 25:40Drew Afualo?

  Me too.

• 25:40Speaker 02

  So corny.

• 25:41Drew Afualo?

And I feel so corny and we're older. That's why I was like, you guys think I'm sixteen, I'm not, I'm an adult.

• 25:46Speaker 03

  Yeah.

• 25:47Speaker 02

Like if it, something happens organically.

• 25:49Speaker 03

  Of course.

• 25:49Speaker 02

And it's like, whatever, then it's fine, you know, but no, the planned like.

• 25:53Drew Afualo?

  Yeah.

• 25:54Speaker 02

  No, I can't do that.

• 25:54Drew Afualo?

Cause the other person they filmed with was Rosario Dawson and there was another man, but I don't remember who it was. And they were like, do you want to film, you should film a TikTok with her. And I was like, I mean, do I need to, or do you guys just want me to?

• 26:07Speaker 02

Like, you pitch me an idea, think of something right now.

• 26:09Speaker 03

Actually, this is how we're like, should I be obligated to think of it?

• 26:13Drew Afualo?

Yeah, well then it feels like, am I being rude?

• 26:15Speaker 02

  Right.

• 26:16Speaker 03

  Exactly.

• 26:16Drew Afualo?

So then I was like, is it?

• 26:17Speaker 03

  Expect it or?

• 26:18Drew Afualo?

Necessary or, and they were like, no, I, my team was like, you should, you should just go and do it. I was like, alright. So they took me to go meet her and then I met her and she was so nice and she was like, um, oh yeah, they told me like something about TikTok. And I was like, yeah, what's crazy is like, they do love TikTok. They just have no idea how it works.

• 26:36Speaker 02

  Yeah.

• 26:36Drew Afualo?

So she was like, I was like, I do have something, but it was, it was that audio of, I think it's one of the City Girls and Bobby Althoff. When she's like trying to teach her how to cuss at people.

• 26:45Speaker 02

  Oh, yeah.

• 26:46Drew Afualo?

  And she's like, yeah, motherfucker.

• 26:47Speaker 02

  Yeah, yeah, yeah.

• 26:48Drew Afualo?

And I showed it to her and she, and her team was like, no, no, no. And then she was like, I think that's hilarious. Let's do it.

• 26:53Speaker 03

  Oh, okay.

• 26:54Drew Afualo?

And so then we were filming it together and she was like, ah, I fucked that one up. Can I redo it? And I was like, yeah. And so then we did it again. We did like two times and her team was breathing down my neck. And I was like, listen, she wants to do it. I don't even care anymore.

• 27:07Speaker 02

Yeah, I will post it, damn.

• 27:09Drew Afualo?

At this point, I'm just recording her like.

• 27:12Drew Afualo?

She just wanted the footage. And so I was like, yeah. And then after we finished, I was sitting and I was like looking at stuff on my phone. She goes, "Do you mind if I see it?" And I was like, "No, of course not." And I showed it to her. She goes, "We killed that."

• 27:29Drew Afualo?

That's why she was giggling and laughing. And then they told me, "Yeah, you can't post it anywhere." And I said, "All right, well..."

• 27:34Speaker 03

  Whatever.

• 27:35Drew Afualo?

  The bonding experience was fun.

• 27:37Speaker 03

  It was a great time.

• 27:38Drew Afualo?

Appreciate it. I want to see it, actually. Oh, and I, oh, and I have to tell you too about Kelly, uh, Kelly Rowland.

• 27:43Speaker 03

  Oh.

• 27:44Drew Afualo?

She gag, she, I talked, I just told this story to Trixie Mattel, but she gagged me because she was so nice and so sweet. And when she got there, everyone was like, "Oh, my God, Kelly, I'm a huge fan." And she was so nice to everybody. And she was really good at her lines and stuff and she was doing great. And then, uh, there was like, you know, there's a lot of lulls, like when you're doing that stuff, like you just kind of sit while they rearrange and whatever. So we were kind of sitting and I was just like, I'm not trying to be weird. So I wasn't trying to be like, "So, Kelly, where are you from?" Like I didn't want to, like, I'm making small talk. Singer, right? Yeah. So we were like, kind of, uh, just sitting next to each other and not really saying anything. And there was, um, the extras, there was like a group of them and there was one guy in the group and he was like 50s-ish. And he walks over and he goes,

• 28:30Drew Afualo?

"Hey, Kelly, huge fan." And then she was like, "Oh, thanks." And then he goes, "You know, cause in the take right before that, she kind of goofed something and she was like, "Oh, I'm sorry. I messed up." And so we just were resetting. And then he was like, "You know, when you messed up right there, I thought that was almost, almost as funny as when Michelle fell in that one performance of yours." Guys, I don't even know what perf, I think I remember the performance he's referencing. Where Michelle fell on stage when they were performing as Destiny's Child. And so he says that, and he's like, "Ha, ha, ha, I thought it was almost as funny as that." Starts laughing at his own joke. And then she with no emotion, no humor, no nothing. She goes, "Yeah, that was actually a really traumatic time for her. I don't find things like that funny."

• 29:13Drew Afualo?

"Bitch, when I tell you I was like, me, me, I'm sitting right next to her. I'm sitting right next, and I start going..."

• 29:21Speaker 02

Who needs help? Someone needs help.

• 29:22Drew Afualo?

  Can we get a t-

• 29:24Speaker 03

  I love that.

• 29:25Drew Afualo?

And I was like, it was so awkward and then he didn't, he was like, "Yeah, yeah, you know, yeah." And then she goes, "Yeah, I don't find that funny." Like she said it even louder.

• 29:37Speaker 02

  No.

• 29:38Drew Afualo?

She just turns her head and then he turns around, no community, all his friends that were with him ditched him. Like they, they all turned their backs. Yeah, they all turned their backs like, "Don't look at me."

• 29:48Speaker 02

Oh my god, I was not expecting that energy from her.

• 29:50Drew Afualo?

No, and he was so humiliated. I think he left for the rest of the day.

• 29:55Speaker 03

Yeah, I'm gonna go ahead and just go lay in the street. I'll be right back. It took a sick day.

• 30:01Drew Afualo?

  I'm actually, I think I'm coming down.

• 30:03Speaker 03

Mental out day, yeah, I gotta take this shit off. Yeah, I can't do that.

• 30:09Drew Afualo?

And I was like, "Oh my god."

• 30:11Speaker 02

After that, I would have to sit myself down.

• 30:12Speaker 03

It's like falling in the gym or something, you're like, "I gotta take a week off."

• 30:14Speaker 02

  It's time to go out.

• 30:15Drew Afualo?

They're like, "Let me sit my stupid ass down, that's all."

• 30:18Speaker 03

I can't never, I can't wear these lime pants anymore.

• 30:20Speaker 02

That is me every time in the gym though.

• 30:22Speaker 03

I gotta wear black backside, lay low, maybe hit the car.

• 30:26Drew Afualo?

I know, tomorrow I'm gonna wear a different outfit, a different extra outfit. He literally, like, and then, like after-

• 30:31Speaker 02

  He still thinks about that.

• 30:32Drew Afualo?

Right, I, I still think about it.

• 30:34Speaker 02

  I know!

• 30:34Drew Afualo?

  Even after like twenty minutes.

• 30:36Speaker 02

  He's about that every day.

• 30:37Drew Afualo?

Just after twenty minutes of silence, like she goes, "I'm sure you didn't mean any harm by it." But that was really traumatic for her and I don't find jokes like that funny, I never have.

• 30:45Speaker 02

She kept going, like, "Damn, this is the first time."

• 30:47Drew Afualo?

And then he was, and he goes, "I really didn't mean anything by it, like I really-" Whole tone shifted, whatever, she's like, "It's fine, it's fine." And he was like over familiar and rude, so like it's true.

• 30:55Speaker 02

  Yeah, yeah.

• 30:55Drew Afualo?

And so then we were sitting there and then after a couple more minutes she goes, "Do you think I was mean? Like, do you think I was too much?" And I go, "Girl, you could not have asked a better person." Cause no, you weren't.

• 31:08Drew Afualo?

In fact, I think you could have been meaner, Kelly.

• 31:09Speaker 02

  Meaner, exactly.

• 31:10Drew Afualo?

Yeah, and I told her, "Can I be honest? I think you could have been meaner." And then she started laughing and she goes, "I just like, don't find shit like that funny." And I go, "And you better tell his ass, bitch." And wait, and she started laughing and I go, "And can I say, that dude's been working up the nerve to say something for an hour." The fact that that's what he chose, hilarious.

• 31:28Speaker 02

  Yeah.

• 31:29Speaker 03

  Insane.

• 31:30Speaker 02

Anything came out, like, you have so much time.

• 31:34Speaker 03

It had nothing to do with Kelly at all, like, yeah, she was in the groove, but like- Why you bringing her in like? She don't care about her.

• 31:42Drew Afualo?

She said fuck fifty, fuck what I do.

• 31:44Speaker 02

She's like, God. The fact that she was thinking about it though, like.

• 31:47Speaker 03

  Yeah.

• 31:47Speaker 02

Sometimes I do walk away from situations, I'm like.

• 31:49Speaker 03

  No, of course.

• 31:50Speaker 02

  Fuck, you know, but.

• 31:51Drew Afualo?

Especially with fans. Have you guys had that? Where you walk away from a weird fan encounter?

• 31:55Speaker 03

Erica always is like, was I rude? I'm like, no, you were so nice.

• 31:58Speaker 02

Sometimes I'm like, was I? I, I think for the most part, I'm always.

• 32:02Speaker 03

  Every time, you're so nice.

• 32:03Speaker 02

I am like a nice person, like I'm never like a dick unless you're like drunk and all over me and forcing me to fucking follow you and like cornering me.

• 32:11Drew Afualo?

  Yeah.

• 32:11Speaker 02

  And shit like, no.

• 32:13Drew Afualo?

And even then, you're probably still too nice.

• 32:15Speaker 03

  Of course.

• 32:15Speaker 02

  I'm still too nice.

• 32:16Drew Afualo?

  She's yes. Me too.

• 32:17Speaker 03

  She's never, yeah.

• 32:18Speaker 02

  Yeah, I'm still too nice.

• 32:19Speaker 03

You always wanna be nicer, that's the thing.

• 32:21Speaker 02

How could I put my foot down, but this bitch is drunk as fuck, so she's not gonna get it, you know?

• 32:25Drew Afualo?

Yeah, and then you start feeling, like, that's, I'm not even kidding, that's how I feel too, cuz sometimes fans, like, I love, I love meeting fans, I don't mind meeting fans. But sometimes they don't read rooms and it's just like, like, the worst ones, I've had one at the gynecologist, I've had one at the bank.

• 32:43Speaker 02

  Insane.

• 32:43Drew Afualo?

I've had one at the bank on the fucking phone after she took all my private information, then she goes, huge fan by the way.

• 32:49Speaker 03

  Oh.

• 32:49Drew Afualo?

Girl, I'm gonna get you fired, why are you doing this?

• 32:51Speaker 02

  No, no.

• 32:52Drew Afualo?

And even though, I think the, one of the worst ones was like, my dogs, both my dogs, I have Frenchies. Which like, yeah, obviously, they're like little fucking, they're gonna die at any moment's notice.

• 33:02Speaker 02

  Oh my God.

• 33:03Drew Afualo?

In fact, chill the fuck out. In fact, in fact, they're sprinting towards death and I'm trying really hard to stop them, like, that's what it feels like. They're so destined to die, I don't know why that is, but like.

• 33:12Speaker 02

  Drew, chill the fuck out.

• 33:13Drew Afualo?

  I'm telling you, it's awful.

• 33:14Speaker 03

She's talking as like the breed, not personally.

• 33:17Speaker 02

No, oh, I'm like, your dog, I'm like, what is?

• 33:20Speaker 03

I can't wait for them to die.

• 33:21Drew Afualo?

  No, they're sprinting towards death.

• 33:23Speaker 03

That's what Erica's hearing, Erica's like, no, it's gonna be okay.

• 33:25Drew Afualo?

I'm standing in front of them, like, please stop.

• 33:28Speaker 03

  They have lots of issues.

• 33:29Speaker 02

They were, I think, actually, I was just talking about it, the wiener dogs are the new Frenchies.

• 33:34Drew Afualo?

Yes, that's true, that's very true.

• 33:36Speaker 03

Like, one of my. Health issues.

• 33:37Drew Afualo?

Yeah, exactly, and they're being bred a ton.

• 33:40Speaker 03

  Yeah, exactly.

• 33:40Drew Afualo?

So like, the Frenchies I got, I adopted, right, so I fostered, I fostered my second one, he's deaf, right? And so, like, my first one and my second one, my first one, I call him like my peanut allergy baby cuz he's allergic to everything. Did you know dogs can be allergic to protein? Yeah, that's true, I.

• 33:55Speaker 02

  What?

• 33:56Speaker 03

  Both of them.

• 33:57Drew Afualo?

Yeah, in all proteins, so like, they're allergic to the shit inside the protein, but they need protein to survive. Right, so I have to buy both my dogs a prescription vegan kibble. Yeah bitch, so I'm always like, you want a Frenchie, they're great if you have money. If you have a lot of money and time, they're great, they're awesome. Because they don't need to be walked and they don't bark and they don't like whatever, but. Yeah, girl, I order prescription fucking kibble for my dogs. I've never heard of prescription food. Girl, and I literally was like, what the fuck is in this shit? Because when I first ran out of it, I was like, I can't give my dog anything else. I can't give him anything else.

• 34:29Speaker 02

  They're not gonna eat.

• 34:29Drew Afualo?

Yeah, he's like, well, and I knew like, my first dog, it's squid and tuna. My first born is squid. Oh. My second is tuna.

• 34:36Speaker 02

  So cute.

• 34:37Drew Afualo?

And so squid, squid has a lot of allergies, obviously. But he went through a phase where he would vomit all the time, always. So like, anytime he ate, anytime he drank water, anytime he got excited, it was just anything. And I was taking him to vets for a year. I was like constantly taking him to vets. And they kept telling me, ah, he's a Frenchie. And I was like, okay, that doesn't mean it's normal or okay.

• 34:57Speaker 02

  Yeah, like.

• 34:57Drew Afualo?

So then I had to find a literal French Bulldog specialist, like a specialist vet. Take him there. And then she's the one who diagnosed his protein allergy or whatever. And she was like, is it vomit or is it like regurgitation? And I was like, what's the fucking difference? And she was like, vomit is like, there's a lot of heaving and like, and she's like, a regurgitation is more of a spitting?

• 35:18Speaker 02

  Yeah, it's like foam.

• 35:19Drew Afualo?

Right, and I remember distinctly telling her, um, you know that scene in The Exorcist when her head spins all the way around? And then the black stuff shoots out like venom? What do you call that? That's what it is.

• 35:29Speaker 02

  That's scary.

• 35:30Drew Afualo?

That lizard in the car in Jurassic Park, what do you call that? That's what it is. Neither of those actually, we gotta get him, we gotta get him in here.

• 35:36Speaker 02

I gotta phone a friend for this one.

• 35:38Drew Afualo?

I was like, is that classified as regurgitation? Because like, and also he was going through a phase where he was throwing up on only rugs in my house. Only rugs, all felt so. He found comfort in the rug. I once, I was, I was watching him and I was going, I was going pee and I couldn't see him because he wandered away from me and I was home alone. And then I heard him starting to go like. And I knew he was gonna do it. I was like squid, squid, squid, squid while I'm sitting on the toilet. Cause I just got a brand new rug and it was in my room. And I got out and he was laying on the, on the wood at first, got up to throw up on my rug, got off to lay on the, on the wood.

• 36:10Speaker 02

  Love that.

• 36:11Drew Afualo?

  I love that.

• 36:13Speaker 02

  They're really so funny.

• 36:15Drew Afualo?

  They're so funny like that.

• 36:17Speaker 02

  No.

• 36:17Speaker 03

The only inconvenient spot to throw up.

• 36:22Drew Afualo?

They're gonna go find it. They're gonna, they're.

• 36:24Speaker 02

I wonder why, like, does it feel like grass to them?

• 36:26Drew Afualo?

Maybe it's the comfiness of it. Maybe he just wants to hurt my feelings probably.

• 36:30Speaker 02

  He's just like, fuck you.

• 36:31Drew Afualo?

He's just like, whatever she can afford it, it's fine.

• 36:35Drew Afualo?

I had to take him, one time I took him to the vet, emergency vet, cause he was like throwing up all night and I was so worried about him. And then, uh, I thought he was dying, like for real I did. And so we were like, both my fiance and I were crying and stuff in the waiting room, waiting to like hear back from the doctor. And then the nurse came and she's like, oh, okay, here's his stuff for this and this. And we're like, okay. She goes, by the way, I'm such a big fan.

• 36:56Speaker 03

  Oh.

• 36:57Drew Afualo?

And then she was looking at me, she goes, can I get a picture? And then I, I, I was so taken aback. I go, do you mind if I find out if my dog's dying first and then maybe I'll get back to you after if the news is good?

• 37:09Speaker 03

She said, well, that, the test is gonna take thirty minutes.

• 37:14Drew Afualo?

  So.

• 37:15Speaker 02

  You're not doing anything anyways.

• 37:17Speaker 03

  I mean, everyone's just waiting.

• 37:18Drew Afualo?

You're just gonna be sitting here, so.

• 37:21Speaker 03

Right now it would be the best.

• 37:23Drew Afualo?

Really, if we're being realistic about it.

• 37:26Speaker 02

I actually have to clock out in a couple of minutes, so I will.

• 37:28Speaker 03

I'm taking my lunch, so. Again.

• 37:31Drew Afualo?

I don't know what's worse after she said, after I said that to her, she goes, yeah, sure.

• 37:37Speaker 02

  Oh, okay.

• 37:38Drew Afualo?

The attitude, like, she's pissed off.

• 37:41Speaker 02

  Like, it's your fault.

• 37:42Speaker 03

Yeah, I have a gecko I have to go, uh, do a cold check on.

• 37:47Speaker 02

  Bro, read the fucking room.

• 37:49Drew Afualo?

Yeah, that's why I was asking if that's ever happened to you.

• 37:51Speaker 02

  Read the room.

• 37:52Drew Afualo?

In a way where you're like, and then it sucks because after you leave, you're like, oh my god, do they hate me? Like, I was like, I don't wanna.

• 37:58Speaker 02

  Why am I following drill?

• 38:00Drew Afualo?

  Like, that's.

• 38:02Speaker 02

I'm safe to say that was insane.

• 38:04Speaker 03

  The sick dog is crazy.

• 38:05Drew Afualo?

I've had some really pretty bad ones, like one time, I think like the first time I went to Coachella with Brittany, we made the grave mistake of walking through GA. I don't know why we did that. I think we thought it would be faster. We were walking and it was horrifying. And then I remember it felt like that scene in Battle of the Bastards in Game of Thrones when Johnson was like, have you seen it?

• 38:26Speaker 03

  Of course.

• 38:26Drew Afualo?

Okay, he's being suffocated by bodies. And then it's like this big, like drone shot of him. It's one singular man under a bunch of dead bodies. That's how it felt.

• 38:34Speaker 02

  That's how you were.

• 38:35Drew Afualo?

Right. Like that scene in World War Z where all the zombies are falling over. That's how it felt. It was just like, oh.

• 38:41Speaker 02

You guys are brave as fuck for doing that.

• 38:43Drew Afualo?

Yeah, that was the dumbest thing we've ever done. And so I remember we were walking and this girl was like, we were getting grabbed and pulled a bunch, which was awful. And then this girl was like, oh my God, I fucking love you. And I was like, thanks. And then she was like, no, I love you. And then she grabbed both my arms, which I hate being touched. And so I was like, okay. And then she literally was like trying to pull me and kiss me on the lips.

• 39:03Speaker 02

  Oh.

• 39:05Speaker 02

  This was on fucking E.

• 39:06Speaker 03

  She was on Holly.

• 39:07Drew Afualo?

No, for real. I genuinely think so. She was on something. And she like tried to come in for a kiss. Girl, you would have thought. I literally was like two hand pushed her back. And I said, oh, don't do that shit to me. Don't you do that to me? And she was like, I just love you. I just think you're so great. Oh my God, go vibe over there. Or fucking touch Brittany.

• 39:28Drew Afualo?

Brittany needs a kiss. Go kiss her.

• 39:30Speaker 03

Sorry, Brittany, you gotta be slower than me. You gotta, you gotta speed up.

• 39:34Speaker 02

Oh my God. So it took you five and a half hours to get to one stage to another, probably?

• 39:38Drew Afualo?

Yep. That was not, not faster at all. In fact, it was awful. In fact, it was horrifying and awful and terrible.

• 39:44Speaker 02

Have you gone to Coachella since? Like?

• 39:45Drew Afualo?

  I went this year.

• 39:46Speaker 02

  Oh, you did?

• 39:47Drew Afualo?

  Yeah.

• 39:47Speaker 02

  Were the vibes?

• 39:48Drew Afualo?

They were a lot better this time. Yeah. And like, this makes me sound like an asshole. I'm sorry. But like, we go artist. So it's like,

• 39:55Speaker 02

  Oh, I'm sorry.

• 39:56Drew Afualo?

  It's easier that way.

• 39:57Speaker 02

  Sorry.

• 39:57Speaker 03

Yeah, it does make you sound like that.

• 40:01Drew Afualo?

I prefaced it. That's why I prefaced. I made sure.

• 40:04Speaker 03

  You're right.

• 40:07Drew Afualo?

That makes me sound like a dick, but there's just no other way I can go. No, it's fast. Otherwise, I'm World War Z. I'm literally Will Smith and I'm legend. I'm getting fucking overrun by the zombies.

• 40:17Speaker 02

  You're not equipped.

• 40:18Drew Afualo?

No, it's just not working out anymore.

• 40:19Speaker 02

  No, that's sick.

• 40:20Drew Afualo?

But I'm glad you guys don't have too many bad experiences with them.

• 40:23Speaker 02

No, no, there's always just like here and there, just like drunk people.

• 40:25Drew Afualo?

  That's how I feel too.

• 40:26Speaker 02

Feeling so weird. I did have a therapist at one point that I felt like she knew me, like she didn't say it. And I was like, that was like weird, so I had to let that go.

• 40:35Drew Afualo?

  Yeah.

• 40:36Speaker 02

I was like, haven't been since.

• 40:39Speaker 02

  Rubbed me the wrong way.

• 40:40Drew Afualo?

I have a great, I have a great reference for you then, if you want one. Cause I actually asked someone in the industry too, because I was deathly afraid of that shit.

• 40:49Speaker 02

  Yeah.

• 40:49Drew Afualo?

Um, I was like, no, this is where I need to unload my baggage. If I find out you know me, I'm gonna kill myself and that's on you.

• 40:55Speaker 02

  That's on you.

• 40:56Drew Afualo?

And that's on, yeah, and that's on you. It's on your hands, so I'll make sure of it.

• 41:00Speaker 02

A hundred percent. I will take that personally.

• 41:03Drew Afualo?

I feel the same way though about the therapy thing. My therapist now, she asked me too, when I first started working with her, she was like, cause I had to tell her like what I do and stuff and she was like, well, I do have a question. Do you want me to look you up? Like, do you want me to go and familiarize myself or would you rather me just not look at you at all online and just kinda have this? And I was like, um, I don't mind.

• 41:23Speaker 02

  Same question, yeah.

• 41:24Drew Afualo?

Yeah, I was like, I don't mind. I mean, if you want further context to my job, you are more than welcome to, I don't mind. And I was like, she's like, yeah, I just wanna get to know you a little bit better in terms of how other people see you, cause I talk about dealing with this in therapy. And she, and I was like, okay. And I said, well, yeah, you could also like, I was like, if you wanted more context, you could read my book too. And then my fiance goes, what are you doing a plug in therapy?

• 41:47Speaker 02

Actually available at All Barnes and Nobles. You absolutely can go get that too.

• 41:50Drew Afualo?

I'll get you a signed copy. The next time. My man was like, who are you doing a fucking plug in therapy for? I was like, I didn't meet you. Just telling her if she wanted to.

• 42:00Speaker 02

No, the ask is fine, though. I think, I think that's pretty fair, especially if it's within, like, that's what you're talking about.

• 42:07Drew Afualo?

  I agree.

• 42:08Speaker 03

The next question, she's like, so this one video.

• 42:10Speaker 02

She's like, Drew, Drew, I actually really loved the last video. I'd be like, no, this is why I didn't want to do this.

• 42:16Speaker 03

  It gets crazy.

• 42:17Drew Afualo?

I know, that's why I was like, please don't, please don't, that's like, that's like my worst nightmare. Even so, I've even told people too, I'm like, sometimes, I don't want to talk about it. Like, I don't want to talk about what I do. I'm cool, like, if you guys, if I go to things in spaces where people know me or knew me before this. Like, you know, baby showers, weddings, like shit like that. I'm always like, we don't need to talk about what it is I do. But a lot of times, I think people just want to, which is like.

• 42:42Speaker 03

  Yeah, it's more curious, yeah.

• 42:44Drew Afualo?

Yeah, one time my aunt and uncle were with me, my, my mom's brother and his wife. And they were, we were in like Big Bear or something, and she was like, she was getting a little drunk. And then at one point, she goes, your uncle told me I'm not allowed to ask about work, but I really want to.

• 42:58Speaker 02

Been there before, yeah, been there before.

• 43:01Speaker 03

I'm not supposed to, but I'm gonna.

• 43:01Speaker 02

Or have the family members that think they have like fantastic ideas, like.

• 43:06Speaker 03

  Yeah, the ideas.

• 43:07Speaker 02

She's like, you should do the, oh my god, Erica, that will be so fun. I'm like, yeah.

• 43:12Drew Afualo?

She's like, I got a great pitch for you.

• 43:14Speaker 02

Deadass, she will pitch a video every time she's listening.

• 43:16Speaker 03

And then they like sit back like, alright, go ahead, start it. Like, yeah, what? What's stopping you? I don't want to, second of all, I'm not doing it in general.

• 43:23Drew Afualo?

I was just being kind, I wasn't, I was humorous.

• 43:26Speaker 02

  They're trying, they're trying.

• 43:27Speaker 03

I can't believe that you're not like, you got it, I just gave you the blueprint.

• 43:31Drew Afualo?

  Right, like.

• 43:32Speaker 03

  You're gonna go viral.

• 43:33Drew Afualo?

As they're talking, they're like, why aren't you writing this down? Shouldn't you be writing this down?

• 43:38Speaker 03

  Can't believe it.

• 43:40Drew Afualo?

Oh my god, plugs, I've never gotten, been like, I have an idea. I've never gotten that. I don't think I've gotten that.

• 43:46Speaker 02

No, some people do. My mom does too. I call my mom my manager, because she's like so funny. She's like, how many followers do you have now? Like, she literally looks at my analytics and she studies it.

• 43:55Speaker 03

Erica, I think you should post around 7pm, because.

• 44:00Speaker 02

She is so cute, I fucking love my mom.

• 44:02Speaker 03

There was two videos ago that, I remember, one hour in, like, she'll like.

• 44:05Speaker 02

Hi Erica, put that video on TikTok, put it on Instagram, it's gonna do great. I'm like, mom, they're not gonna get it, it's a trend on TikTok. They're not gonna get it on Instagram.

• 44:16Speaker 03

One time we called her, we're like, did you see the video? She's, what video? Like, if she misses it by 30 minutes, she's like.

• 44:20Speaker 02

If she's not there within the minute, yeah.

• 44:22Speaker 03

Oh no. And then she'll give a huge excuse. No, no, because I was doing the laundry.

• 44:26Drew Afualo?

  Yeah.

• 44:27Speaker 03

This is why I didn't see it. This is why I didn't see it. I would have seen it immediately, but right as you posted, I must have put my phone.

• 44:33Speaker 02

Your mom's your number one fan. Number one fan.

• 44:36Speaker 03

We're one in one, but I'll give her one, for sure.

• 44:39Speaker 02

They have to fight it out.

• 44:41Speaker 03

She deserves number one. She made her. I can't take number one.

• 44:45Speaker 02

  Fair enough. Fair enough.

• 44:46Drew Afualo?

I love your mom's like, all right, let's talk strategy. All right, you want to grow, let's talk strategy. Your mom.

• 44:52Speaker 02

Yeah, no, I was like, are we actually because my mom?

• 44:55Drew Afualo?

  No, no, your mom.

• 44:56Speaker 03

She's like, print out all your analytics on your latest stories. Like, she would if she could.

• 44:59Speaker 02

She literally does that. She does. She compares it side by side.

• 45:04Drew Afualo?

I think that's so fun. What's the coolest thing you guys have gotten to do so far?

• 45:08Speaker 02

  Coolest?

• 45:09Drew Afualo?

You've done a lot of really cool things.

• 45:11Speaker 03

I want to preference that we are so fortunate.

• 45:13Speaker 02

  We really are.

• 45:14Speaker 03

  Such a blessing.

• 45:52Drew Afualo?

I know, you've done so many cool things the last couple of years.

• 45:54Speaker 02

Yeah, for real. Like, I, just like, even silly things. Like, we were just at, like, an epic universe, like, opening.

• 46:01Drew Afualo?

Oh, my God, how was it? I'm going in July.

• 46:03Speaker 02

It was really cool. It was really cool. But it's just like experiences like, like that is just like so sick. I will mention, like, the Scotland trip for traders. Was the coolest experience.

• 46:17Drew Afualo?

Oh, yeah. All my friends on it. I wasn't invited. Perfect, yeah. No, perfect.

• 46:21Speaker 02

  You should have came.

• 46:22Drew Afualo?

  Oh, perfect, yeah.

• 46:23Speaker 02

  You should have been there.

• 46:23Drew Afualo?

  Loved it, yeah.

• 46:24Speaker 02

You would have been the vibe. It was just, it was a really good trip. I think honestly because of the people too that were there.

• 46:29Drew Afualo?

  Yeah, it was like.

• 46:31Speaker 02

But they did a really good job. We were just in Iceland like two months ago.

• 46:35Drew Afualo?

Oh, that's right. How was Iceland?

• 46:37Speaker 03

Amazon did such an amazing trip.

• 46:39Speaker 02

Really, really so cool. Like, it was, um, we were kind of in the middle of nowhere.

• 46:43Speaker 03

It was. I was like, I could get it when I get there. There was not a gas station for Santa.

• 46:48Speaker 02

  Nothing, like just our hotel.

• 46:50Speaker 03

We had like off-road cars and stuff. They were like.

• 46:52Speaker 02

Yeah, but we did like ice cave.

• 46:54Speaker 03

  No, it was amazing.

• 46:55Speaker 02

We were in ice caves and we did some pretty cool stuff there, but it's just places that I, we wouldn't plan a trip to like go to ourselves.

• 47:03Drew Afualo?

Yeah, or never thought you'd be able to go.

• 47:05Speaker 02

Yeah, yeah, like with a brand, so, um, yeah, there's so many.

• 47:09Drew Afualo?

That reminds me, I loved your guys' uh, like, logging of your, where'd you go, Japan?

• 47:15Speaker 03

  Japan.

• 47:15Speaker 02

  Oh, Japan.

• 47:16Drew Afualo?

I loved your guys' stories on it.

• 47:17Speaker 02

  Thank you.

• 47:17Drew Afualo?

I've never been to Asia, so I'm so like curious.

• 47:20Speaker 02

You have to go, it's so sick.

• 47:22Speaker 03

Even yesterday, I was like, I just want to go back. Honestly, it's like.

• 47:25Speaker 02

It really is just such a vibe, the people are just so nice.

• 47:28Drew Afualo?

  Yeah.

• 47:29Speaker 02

It's just so slow-moving, but also fast, but respectful, like, it's just like.

• 47:34Speaker 03

  Convenient, efficient.

• 47:35Speaker 02

  The food, everything is perfect.

• 47:36Speaker 03

They have it figured out over there.

• 47:37Speaker 02

  They really do.

• 47:38Drew Afualo?

Yeah, they got it on lock.

• 47:39Speaker 02

Every toilet there is so clean. Has a bidet. Has a bidet, like literally we'll go to a train station.

• 47:45Drew Afualo?

  Oh, a bidet?

• 47:46Speaker 02

  I'm like.

• 47:47Drew Afualo?

Hates to see me coming, a bidet.

• 47:48Speaker 02

You're like, I just got that has a.

• 47:50Drew Afualo?

Yeah, I'm looking forward to going tonight.

• 47:55Drew Afualo?

  The bidet, yeah.

• 47:56Speaker 02

It really is, it's a game changer. I wasn't about the bidets until we left Japan. I was like, I don't think I could ever sit on a regular toilet.

• 48:04Speaker 03

  For sure.

• 48:05Drew Afualo?

I know, I've heard it's so clean and it's so like, cool.

• 48:08Speaker 02

There's just so much to see, like, I feel like we, we banged out like a lot of places, but there's still so much shit.

• 48:15Drew Afualo?

  That you didn't cover?

• 48:15Speaker 02

  Yeah.

• 48:16Drew Afualo?

Did you guys do those Mario Karts?

• 48:18Speaker 02

  We didn't, um.

• 48:20Speaker 03

Just because I kind of heard it was, it's like a.

• 48:21Speaker 02

We kind of ruled that one out.

• 48:22Speaker 03

  Yeah.

• 48:23Drew Afualo?

  I heard that too.

• 48:24Speaker 03

  I'm like.

• 48:24Drew Afualo?

And I heard you had to book it like six months in advance.

• 48:26Speaker 03

And you gotta get a driver, international driver's license.

• 48:29Speaker 02

Different driver's license, which is like a whole other thing, this fucking real ID shit, like, I can't. Like, I'm sorry.

• 48:35Speaker 03

Yeah, my driver's license is barely active.

• 48:37Drew Afualo?

I know, I'm traveling with just my passport at this point.

• 48:40Speaker 02

  Same.

• 48:40Drew Afualo?

  Because I'm like, I can't be bothered.

• 48:42Speaker 02

  It's fine.

• 48:42Drew Afualo?

They're gonna, they're asking me for too much at this point.

• 48:44Speaker 02

Too much information. You're like, fine, do you want to pick? Do you want a picture?

• 48:49Speaker 02

  Go ahead, take it.

• 48:52Drew Afualo?

Well, I do have some fun facts about y'all. Would you like to hear them?

• 48:56Speaker 02

  Sure.

• 48:57Drew Afualo?

  We're hard pivoting.

• 48:58Speaker 02

  Hard pivot.

• 48:59Drew Afualo?

Hard pivoting. Okay, we, yeah, we did kind of, me not telling any of my guests, we changed the kind of format of the show.

• 49:05Speaker 02

Shut the whole up. This is so fun. Why does it start sweating?

• 49:10Speaker 03

They're fun, Erica. It's fun facts, right?

• 49:12Drew Afualo?

It's fun, it's fun, it's fun, it's fun. Okay, so, well, first it says, I already knew this about y'all though, but it says Erica and Scott met at a bar in New Jersey on November 22nd, 2014, and got engaged exactly six years later.

• 49:25Speaker 03

  Yep.

• 49:25Drew Afualo?

  Why is that so specific?

• 49:27Speaker 03

  It's a fact.

• 49:29Speaker 03

No, it's 100% true. I planned it. I planned it on the day we met.

• 49:33Drew Afualo?

Me getting scared of how much detail was in there?

• 49:35Speaker 03

  No, it's true, it's true.

• 49:36Speaker 02

You're like, Erica was wearing this, and she was in this place, and, um, yes, that is true. He did plan it that way.

• 49:42Drew Afualo?

That is very cute, though, to plan on the same day that you met.

• 49:45Speaker 02

Yes, that is true. Are we like debunking stuff, or like, is that the vibe?

• 49:49Drew Afualo?

Yeah, well, you can, you comment on it if you'd like.

• 49:51Speaker 02

  That is, that is true.

• 49:53Speaker 03

  That one is true.

• 49:54Speaker 02

  New Jersey love story.

• 49:56Speaker 03

I feel like it's a lie detector, really.

• 49:57Drew Afualo?

Right, for real, like the Vogue lie detector test. Uh, this one says that Erika's dream man is Joe Jonas.

• 50:03Speaker 02

  Yes, yes.

• 50:04Speaker 03

Not true. Scott is her dream man. Joe Jonas?

• 50:10Speaker 02

You know, it changes. Sometimes it changes. Like, right now, no. You know, a couple of months ago, yeah, you know, it just kind of changes.

• 50:18Speaker 03

Because if it changes, often, what about me?

• 50:23Drew Afualo?

Yeah, he's like, well, I can't grow my hair back that fast.

• 50:25Speaker 03

  Yeah, I can't sing, I can't play guitar, and I don't have any brothers, so, I'm fucked.

• 50:31Drew Afualo?

So I'm kind of, oh, for three.

• 50:35Drew Afualo?

Have you met the Jonas Brothers?

• 50:36Speaker 02

  I have, I have.

• 50:38Drew Afualo?

  How was it?

• 50:38Speaker 02

  How was your vibe?

• 50:39Drew Afualo?

No, it was cool. It was, it was cool. We'll talk about it for real after, but it was cool.

• 50:49Speaker 02

We will for sure talk about it for real.

• 50:52Drew Afualo?

It was cool. They were really nice. Um, I met, uh, well, first off, my lore, I was a huge fucking fan.

• 51:00Speaker 02

  Were you?

• 51:00Drew Afualo?

Bitch, I was balls deep in that shit. I, you could not get me to stop talking about them.

• 51:06Speaker 02

It's not like Disney Channel vibe.

• 51:08Drew Afualo?

Girl, I was like, and it was funny because at the time, I think it was like sixth grade when I started like obsessing over them. Because before that, my sister and I were super into Michael Gromats, so it was a real hard left.

• 51:21Drew Afualo?

My mom was like, I'm scared, but I'm supportive. It was a fan. It was a fan. I'm so afraid, but I'm supporting. Like when we were super into Michael Gromats at the time. That was actually my very first concert ever was the Black Parade.

• 51:35Speaker 02

Oh my, well, I can't honestly, like at that time.

• 51:38Drew Afualo?

And my mom took us. My mom took me and my sister and the, yeah, she's like, I'm so afraid, but I'm so happy for you guys. My mom's been such a writer. As long as you guys are together, that's all.

• 51:49Drew Afualo?

You guys are just have the best relationship. Quality time is important. That's what you were talking about your mom. I love my mom too. I'm obsessed with my mom. So it's the same thing. And then when my sister and I moved on to the Jonas Brothers, we were, uh, my sister was a Joe girl because she's a lesbian. And so obviously naturally that's the pipeline. I didn't know that. Oh yeah. It's like bi girls and lesbian, eventual lesbians like Joe. Um, outright, just no, no discussion about it. Lesbians are Kevin girls. Straight girls are Nick girls.

• 52:22Drew Afualo?

I learned something new today, obviously. Yeah, there's a lot of lore to it. So, and so. There's a lot going on. Yeah. Joe Jonas looked like a pretty girl at one point. So that's why my sister was like, I'm rocking with that.

• 52:32Speaker 02

  That's what it is.

• 52:33Drew Afualo?

Yeah. When he had the long hair, my sister was like, a lesbian. I'm into it.

• 52:39Speaker 03

  A blazer, I love it.

• 52:41Drew Afualo?

When they were like straightening their fucking hair and like bumping the ends. Yeah, girl.

• 52:46Speaker 03

  It was wild.

• 52:47Drew Afualo?

It was one a time. So we were super obsessed with them. I think I went to like five or six of their concerts.

• 52:52Speaker 02

Oh, you were like, you were like for real, for real.

• 52:55Drew Afualo?

Oh, yeah, girl. Our room was like wall to wall posters from like J fourteen. Remember those magazines?

• 53:02Speaker 02

Oh, my god. What a fucking.

• 53:06Speaker 03

  Magazines were that era.

• 53:07Drew Afualo?

Right. I know, but me too.

• 53:11Speaker 02

My dad used to work for those, like.

• 53:12Drew Afualo?

Like those kinds of, like the teeny bopper ones?

• 53:14Speaker 02

  Yeah, yeah.

• 53:15Drew Afualo?

And I remember we, I think it was when I was in like later middle school, my sister was like about to go to high school. We saw this like sweepstakes that was like you could win tickets to see the Jonas Brothers and meet them. And you could go to their concert and stuff. And I was like, all you had to do was make a fan video, like a video about like.

• 53:35Speaker 02

  They love a fan video.

• 53:37Drew Afualo?

Oh, they love, still to this day, they love a fan video. And they literally were like, you have to make it and put it on YouTube and then like submit it via email because YouTube was like brand new at the time.

• 53:46Speaker 02

  Yeah.

• 53:46Drew Afualo?

And so I was like, well, obviously we have to do it and we're gonna win. And I remember too, we were like, at first we were just giggling and like talking about why we loved them because that was like the premise. My mom watched it and she goes, this is boring. You have to redo it. Like you need a hook. Like you need something. My mom starts, my mom starts directing. Like my mom literally scrapped our whole video, made an entirely new one. She's like, you should act like this in this scene and then we'll switch to the scene. Mind you, we had no cameras. We were using like shitty little laptop cameras, but they weren't Max's. We were poor. So they were like these terrible little cameras and like the quality is grainy as fuck. And my mom was like, yeah, we'll edit it all together. My sister's teaching herself editing.

• 54:26Speaker 02

  What a queen.

• 54:28Speaker 03

Off of the Joe Bros, man.

• 54:31Drew Afualo?

Mind you, we send it in. Turns out like my sister didn't know what the tri-state area was. Like she thought it was just like na- nationwide. Obviously that's over here. Yeah, this bitch literally goes like, well, it's a tri-state area. I just thought that was just like any state. And I go, well, that's not what that is. Never gonna meet them now.

• 54:53Drew Afualo?

Fast forward all these years later, a couple of years ago, when they did their Broadway run.

• 54:58Speaker 02

  Oh, yeah.

• 54:58Drew Afualo?

Oh, yeah, yeah, yeah. Five nights. When that happened, I said, I gotta go to that shit.

• 55:02Speaker 02

  Hundred.

• 55:03Drew Afualo?

I gotta go to that shit.

• 55:04Speaker 02

  Those were good.

• 55:05Drew Afualo?

Nights one and two, I went to, I was like, yeah. Yeah, she went to two. Yeah, but I worked with SeatGeek. And when I worked with them to get the tickets, um, my pitch for the thing was like, I was gonna put clips of my fan video that I had on YouTube. You can't find it, it's in. But I literally was like, I'm gonna put it in a, in an ad, and that's what I did. So when I did that video for SeatGeek, they loved it, whatever, posted it in exchange for the tickets. Uh, the Jonas Brothers team saw that video and then they reached out to me, that was when Waffle House had just come out and they were like,

• 55:36Speaker 02

  Oh, my god.

• 55:36Drew Afualo?

Like, we heard you're a big fan. I was like, I, I was a big, relax, like, relax, relax, relax, okay? I would say I'm more of a fan now. Supporter. You could say supporter. And like, I think it's also too, cause I've talked frequently about having written fanfiction about them.

• 55:54Speaker 02

  Oh, shit.

• 55:55Drew Afualo?

And I like, yeah, and some people were like, you should read, you should read it to us. And I was like, I don't know where it is. And if I did, I would never read it to y'all. But I handwrote that shit, like a colonial woman.

• 56:04Speaker 02

  Dedicated.

• 56:05Drew Afualo?

Just wrote it by hand with a pen. Sealed it with wax. Yeah, exactly. Sent it with a carrier pigeon. With a candle.

• 56:13Drew Afualo?

Then walked out the room like, turn the light on. For real. And I, I, I literally, when I made the content with Jonas Brothers, um, everyone on, in my comments was like, did you tell them about the fanfic? I said, yo, chill. Why would I tell them that? Team is looking. Yeah, chill.

• 56:28Speaker 02

Why would I tell them about that? Stop bringing it up.

• 56:31Drew Afualo?

Dude. You guys are my ops. They don't know about that. Why would I tell them that?

• 56:36Speaker 02

They're nice brothers and they're from New Jersey, so that's why we, we fuck with them.

• 56:39Drew Afualo?

  Yeah, Jersey vibes.

• 56:41Speaker 02

Jersey vibes. But I, I was like a late, late bloomer. Like, I, I, I liked them growing up, but I didn't, I liked when they rekindled their whole thing and then came back together. And I was like, they're actually pretty fucking good. Like, I, I fuck with this.

• 56:54Drew Afualo?

Yeah, that's how my friend Alex is, or my, she's my agent too, but she was like, she loved the later stuff.

• 56:58Speaker 02

  Yeah.

• 56:59Drew Afualo?

So she came with us and I, me and my sister were geeking and tweaking on night one and two. I was like, yeah, yeah, yeah. What's so funny is night one, I took, I took my man and my cousin Adam, I took both of them. And they both wanted to kill themselves because they've never been to a concert where you could hear screaming like that. Which I feel like I'm just desensitized to it now. Yeah. I'm sure it's. Tight menu, tight menu.

• 57:22Speaker 03

And I've gone to like, too many.

• 57:24Drew Afualo?

  Yeah.

• 57:25Speaker 03

Listen, you guys are great, but it's like, when I'm there, it's like, I feel like the dad. Making sure everyone gets to the bathroom and back, like, and like, so.

• 57:34Drew Afualo?

  That's so true.

• 57:35Speaker 03

The amount of like overwhelming support they have. They could do anything like wink.

• 57:39Drew Afualo?

It's crazy, yeah, they're riding a wave of nostalgia for sure. A hundred percent. It's funny too, because my friend Alex, her husband Steven is the same way where he's like, yeah, they're cool and I'll go to the concerts and stuff. And I remember one time she had tickets to their show because they're from Canada, so they were in Vancouver. And she had tickets to their show or something and uh she, her flight got cancelled, so she couldn't go. And so she had to, she was staying at my house and so her husband was like, I'll go, like, I'll go with your friends. So he went with the, with her by himself, like went to the concert and watched the whole thing. And then he said like, I think it was like hour, going into hour two, he was like, how much longer do you think it is? I had so many songs. So many songs.

• 58:20Speaker 03

  Their catalog is insane.

• 58:21Drew Afualo?

It's like three and a half hour concert. No, no, it's wild. Yeah, the only person I was able to sit through that with was, was Beyonce's concert. It felt like it was twenty minutes. I just went. Oh my god, was it so fun Cowboy Carter? It was, it was fabulous. Unbelievable. She's incredible. She can do no wrong, honestly. Actually, I take back what I said earlier, when I met her, that was the other time I was nervous. Oh.

• 58:41Speaker 03

  Oh, that makes sense.

• 58:42Drew Afualo?

Just the two of them, yeah.

• 58:43Speaker 03

  That makes so much sense.

• 58:43Drew Afualo?

That should have been top of mind. That is crazy. Yeah, meeting her was nuts. Were you shitting yourself? Yeah, because I had no idea what was gonna happen. I had a feeling she was gonna be there because they had told us like, well, first of all, they were like, I, when I got invited to the launch party, they said no, absolutely no plus ones. Which normally when they say that, that means someone famous is coming that they don't want. And so I was like, okay, well, if it's Beyonce, I have to go. Because normally when they say no plus one, I'm like, well, then you will not see plus three. Yeah, right. Because I'm like, I need, uh, I carry, take so many people with me everywhere that I'm like, okay, plus six? I don't ask, plus three.

• 59:16Drew Afualo?

  Final ask.

• 59:16Speaker 03

It's like a kid's graduation, like, listen, the whole fam- I don't care. The whole family's coming.

• 59:21Drew Afualo?

I was like, if you want me to come, then you gotta let my family come.

• 59:26Drew Afualo?

You want Drew to be there, give me a plus two.

• 59:27Speaker 02

Oh my god, that is crazy.

• 59:29Drew Afualo?

That one, I was like, I knew Brittany was going, so she had texted me about it, so I was like, yeah, let's, we'll go together. And we were talking about it, but they didn't send the address of where it was at until like an hour before the party. So then I was like, okay, she's absolutely gonna be there, but I don't, I didn't think we were gonna meet her. So then when we were there, uh, we were kinda just hanging out, and then she eventually came out and walked around with Tina and Blue. And we were like, that was more than enough for me. I was like, like she was right over there.

• 59:54Speaker 03

  That's crazy.

• 59:55Drew Afualo?

Right. I was like, that's nuts. I can feel the aura from here. This is more than enough.

• 59:58Speaker 02

  This is good.

• 59:59Drew Afualo?

And then when we, it was over, we, we were walking out, and then one of the girls from Sacred was like, "You two come with me," like to me and Brittany. And I was like, and I said, "Come with me," and she goes, "What's going on?" I go, "I don't know, but lock in." "I don't know, but lock in. I can't do this. I'm nervous." And I was like, me like already freaking out. And they took us behind this curtain. And then we were standing back there forever, and it felt like we were trying to make small talk, like we were like, "It's kinda hot back here, huh?"

• 1:00:23Speaker 02

  Yeah, like, you're so nervous.

• 1:00:26Drew Afualo?

Like, we're just talking about shit, and I go, "I think we should stop talking, cuz I'm gonna throw up," and she goes, "Me too." So we were, we were just going, the whole time, just sitting there in silence.

• 1:00:34Speaker 02

  Oh my god.

• 1:00:35Drew Afualo?

And I felt like if I said the wrong thing, they'd be like, "Get this bitch outta here."

• 1:00:38Speaker 02

  I changed my mind.

• 1:00:39Drew Afualo?

Yeah, or they'd pull a lever and I'd fall to the floor.

• 1:00:41Speaker 03

One person's just, "Who are they?"

• 1:00:48Speaker 03

Try not to make eye contact.

• 1:00:49Drew Afualo?

I know. Oh my god, it was so horrifying. And then they were, uh, we saw like a door opening and closing, and then when it opened again, it like Taraji P. Henson and Gabrielle Union and all these other really famous women walked by. And I remember when Taraji walked past me, she was like, "Woo!" To me, and I was like, "Woo!"

• 1:01:09Drew Afualo?

And she was like, you get it, you get it. And she just walked away. And I said, hopefully that's a good sign. Yeah. Something good is in there. Maybe it's her. And then when we walked inside, they were like, absolutely no phones, like, put all of them away. So I was like, yeah, we put them on our bags and stuff. And then we walked in. She was just standing in there with her whole family, like her mom and her daughters and everything. And they had like, she was so nice. She was taller than I thought she was gonna be. I think she's like five, six, five, seven, which is shocking. And I remember when she walked up, she was like, you look so good. And I said,

• 1:01:42Drew Afualo?

thank you so much, Beyonce. I appreciate that. Thank you.

• 1:01:45Speaker 02

I would have fainted in her arms. In her arms.

• 1:01:48Drew Afualo?

It means a lot to me. Thank you so much, Beyonce. I felt like, I felt like I couldn't look her in the eye, like I was gonna turn to stone, like Medusa. Like, oh no.

• 1:01:56Speaker 02

You're like, you know, this is almost as funny as.

• 1:02:00Drew Afualo?

I'm not even kidding. I was, I was workshopping bits.

• 1:02:05Speaker 03

  When Michelle fell, hey.

• 1:02:06Drew Afualo?

When Michelle fell, you know what?

• 1:02:09Speaker 02

  Get out.

• 1:02:09Drew Afualo?

  I laughed my ass off.

• 1:02:11Speaker 03

Oh my god, that's the only thing that comes out.

• 1:02:16Speaker 03

  I don't know why it's been that. I'm sorry.

• 1:02:19Drew Afualo?

Some stupid guy put that in my head. I'm sorry.

• 1:02:21Speaker 03

That is sorry. NBA, I don't know why they want me out.

• 1:02:24Drew Afualo?

  Oh my god, no.

• 1:02:24Speaker 03

  Oh my god.

• 1:02:25Drew Afualo?

It was ridiculous. And she was so, like, so nice and literally so sweet. And it was funny too, cuz.

• 1:02:31Speaker 02

  She seemed so gentle.

• 1:02:32Drew Afualo?

I had such a plan to tell her that when I was in college and Lemonade came out, I overdrafted my bank account to get title just so I could listen to that. I had no money to my name.

• 1:02:42Speaker 02

  No title.

• 1:02:43Drew Afualo?

But I was like, all I need is fourteen dollars.

• 1:02:47Speaker 03

  That's it.

• 1:02:47Drew Afualo?

I went in the fucking red for that bitch and I would do it any day. Yeah, I said, I didn't eat, I didn't eat dinner that day, but I did, I did eat some.

• 1:02:55Speaker 02

  Yes.

• 1:02:55Speaker 03

  Hell yeah.

• 1:02:56Drew Afualo?

  History.

• 1:02:57Speaker 03

  History.

• 1:03:00Drew Afualo?

And then all of my thoughts just emptied out of my head immediately. So I was just, I felt like a, I felt like that episode of SpongeBob when they hold that ball and they go That's how it felt.

• 1:03:10Drew Afualo?

I was like, you're so, you're so, yeah, you're just so, you're so great. You're just so wonderful.

• 1:03:17Drew Afualo?

But yeah, she was, she was probably the other one. I didn't have that reaction to the Jonas Brothers, you would think.

• 1:03:23Speaker 02

  No, no.

• 1:03:24Speaker 03

That's how we got there. That's how we got there.

• 1:03:25Drew Afualo?

Sixth grade me probably would have.

• 1:03:26Speaker 02

Yeah, a couple of years later.

• 1:03:28Drew Afualo?

Okay, it says, before blowing up on TikTok, Erica worked in the cosmetic industry and had a YouTube channel posting hauls and makeup tutorials.

• 1:03:36Speaker 02

  Ah, yes.

• 1:03:37Drew Afualo?

  And how was that?

• 1:03:38Speaker 02

Well, YouTube is crazy. Um, cosmetic packaging, I loved my job. Honestly, I was a project manager. I liked it. Um, I still like, I'm very intrigued in like packaging. Um, it's, it's cool. I probably still would have been doing that if I wasn't doing this. But I remember standing in my cubicle with like two of my other coworkers being like, guys, I don't want to fucking be here. I want to be fucking blowing up online. Like, I literally said that and it's so funny because I'm still like connected to both of them. And they're like, yo, it's so crazy. You said that shit like five years ago.

• 1:04:15Drew Afualo?

  Manifestor.

• 1:04:16Speaker 02

  Manifested.

• 1:04:16Speaker 03

And it's like projects you worked on.

• 1:04:20Speaker 02

Oh yeah, like it's very full circle. Like now I get like the, like the, the PR.

• 1:04:25Drew Afualo?

  The same brand.

• 1:04:26Speaker 02

And I'm like, it's so cool. Yeah.

• 1:04:28Drew Afualo?

  Oh, that's so fucking cool.

• 1:04:29Speaker 02

I actually worked on that lip gloss.

• 1:04:31Speaker 03

  Show, show the models.

• 1:04:32Speaker 02

I always am. It's so dopey. But it is full circle. It's cool.

• 1:04:37Drew Afualo?

  Well, it is, isn't it?

• 1:04:38Speaker 02

  That is true.

• 1:04:38Drew Afualo?

It also shows how grateful you are too.

• 1:04:40Speaker 02

  Yeah.

• 1:04:41Drew Afualo?

That you're doing this. Now you get to do what you really want to do, which is like be an artist for a living.

• 1:04:45Speaker 02

  Yes.

• 1:04:45Drew Afualo?

Which I think is beautiful. Also, it says Scotty on here that you have a clothing company called, is, how do you pronounce it?

• 1:04:50Speaker 03

  Andalato.

• 1:04:50Drew Afualo?

Andalato. How did that come out to be?

• 1:04:53Speaker 03

So I always, I've been like just a fashion head my entire life.

• 1:04:57Drew Afualo?

  Yeah.

• 1:04:57Speaker 03

Um, but. I was working and I was I was working at Mercedes and I was just like I don't want to do this anymore.

• 1:05:04Drew Afualo?

  Yeah.

• 1:05:05Speaker 03

So I started making my own hats, like just for fun.

• 1:05:09Drew Afualo?

  That's so cool.

• 1:05:10Speaker 03

I think I started painting on them.

• 1:05:11Drew Afualo?

  Mm hmm.

• 1:05:12Speaker 03

And then I was like, I could actually do this. Like, let me just do it. Everyone else has. I started printing shirts like in my room with like a heat press. Uh, like blowing fuses out and then I just, that that was it. Ever since then, I've been just like passionately. I've I've have a couple of sneaker sneaker models I'm working on.

• 1:05:30Drew Afualo?

  That's so.

• 1:05:31Speaker 03

  And then the bags.

• 1:05:31Drew Afualo?

I was gonna ask about sneakers too.

• 1:05:33Speaker 03

  Yeah.

• 1:05:33Drew Afualo?

  And you're doing bags?

• 1:05:34Speaker 03

  The bags.

• 1:05:35Drew Afualo?

Okay, period. Oh, the toe bags. Obviously love. I love that.

• 1:05:39Speaker 03

That's the first bag. I have another bag coming out, but it's a, I haven't like announced it.

• 1:05:44Drew Afualo?

  It's a secret.

• 1:05:44Speaker 03

It's way more unique than the toe bag.

• 1:05:47Drew Afualo?

That's so cool. I love that. I especially love, I love menswear too. My my man and I share a lot of clothes, which is crazy. Um, but I love a lot of menswear that caters to different body types too in menswear too. Which I think yours, I know that's something that you focus on too. Yeah. Um, but I think that's fucking awesome because obviously with women, we struggle with that already, like needing things that fit us properly. There's a lot of men who need that shit too.

• 1:06:13Speaker 03

  For sure.

• 1:06:14Drew Afualo?

Which is crazy because I come from a family of only big men, like exclusively big men. So there's a lot of, like, my man is so particular about how things fit. Yeah. Like, because sometimes he's like, well, it's just so fucking tight on my shoulders and my arms and then it's so loose everywhere else. So it's like, it's almost like upside down. So he has to get really creative with clothing. So I think that's fucking cool that you're making like really cool streetwear too. That's like everyday use, but you could dress up and then dress down.

• 1:06:42Speaker 03

  Yep.

• 1:06:43Drew Afualo?

I think that's so sick. Do you think you'll ever branch into women's wear too?

• 1:06:47Speaker 03

I want to. I want to for sure.

• 1:06:49Drew Afualo?

  I think that'd be cool.

• 1:06:50Speaker 03

  Yeah.

• 1:06:50Drew Afualo?

And I think we need more, we need more, I think like people who genuinely really love clothing and like really love to dress.

• 1:06:55Speaker 03

  That's what it is.

• 1:06:57Drew Afualo?

  Yeah.

• 1:06:57Speaker 03

I make it that I wear it.

• 1:06:59Drew Afualo?

  Yeah, exactly.

• 1:07:00Speaker 03

If no one else has it, no one else buys it, like I wear it, nonstop. And that's what is the most important to me.

• 1:07:05Drew Afualo?

  Yeah.

• 1:07:06Speaker 03

Like I'll never put it out just to make some money.

• 1:07:08Drew Afualo?

Yeah, you'll do it because you love it and you know, and like, and it's weird how it translates like most often times. It's the same thing with content too. It's like when you really love it, that's like when it does well.

• 1:07:17Speaker 02

  Yeah.

• 1:07:17Drew Afualo?

Because that's like how I would post shit too. I was like, I think it's funny.

• 1:07:20Speaker 02

  Yeah.

• 1:07:21Speaker 03

And no one else does, at least I laughed.

• 1:07:23Speaker 02

  Exactly, exactly.

• 1:07:25Drew Afualo?

I was like, I laughed, my man laughed, that's more than that.

• 1:07:28Speaker 02

That's all that matters. My mom laughed.

• 1:07:31Speaker 03

Everyone else is wrong if they didn't.

• 1:07:33Drew Afualo?

  Yeah, everyone else is racist.

• 1:07:38Drew Afualo?

Well, it's probably because you're racist, that's probably why. I'm just leaning on that. Okay, my last fun fact is that you guys once dressed as Matilda and Miss Trunchbull for Halloween and we have.

• 1:07:49Speaker 03

  Yes.

• 1:07:52Speaker 03

That was one of the best costumes we've ever.

• 1:07:55Speaker 02

Bro, you know how Miss Trunchbull had a bun? I don't know if you can tell in that picture.

• 1:08:00Drew Afualo?

Oh yeah, you can kind of see.

• 1:08:03Speaker 03

  It was a clip.

• 1:08:04Speaker 02

  It is.

• 1:08:04Speaker 03

So I had like short hair like this and I just.

• 1:08:07Speaker 02

What was the hair? Was it like my own hair from a comb?

• 1:08:11Speaker 03

  It might have been, honestly.

• 1:08:12Speaker 02

I swear to God, I think I scraped the hair from my comb, balled it up and bobby pinned it to the top of his head.

• 1:08:19Speaker 03

I'm trying to think how we even put it to my head.

• 1:08:20Drew Afualo?

  Commit to the bit.

• 1:08:20Speaker 03

Yeah, it might have been a bobby pin.

• 1:08:22Speaker 02

  That was probably my favorite.

• 1:08:23Speaker 03

That was one of my favorite ever. Matilda is one of our favorite movies ever, like ever. So we like still will watch it like once a month at least.

• 1:08:32Drew Afualo?

It's a good one. I love, I love, you guys love Halloween? We talked about that last time, how you guys love Halloween.

• 1:08:37Speaker 03

  Love it.

• 1:08:38Drew Afualo?

I remember distinctly when you said you, you bailed on your costume.

• 1:08:41Speaker 03

  Oh.

• 1:08:45Speaker 03

Still one of the best stories.

• 1:08:46Drew Afualo?

She's like, sorry, you're gonna look so fucking stupid, so I'm gonna.

• 1:08:48Speaker 02

I'm gonna look sexy and you're gonna look like a fucking idiot.

• 1:08:51Speaker 03

And I wouldn't change it. I would have picked not the jail scene.

• 1:08:54Drew Afualo?

It would not be a funny story if we did do that.

• 1:08:57Speaker 03

Gray suit Dr. Evil would have been better.

• 1:09:01Speaker 03

  We'll leave that up.

• 1:09:03Drew Afualo?

When I, when I was working at the NFL, that was, I think, the year that Aquaman came out, which was hell on earth for my man.

• 1:09:10Speaker 03

  Yeah.

• 1:09:10Drew Afualo?

Uh, because they were like, yeah, you look like, everywhere we went. It was fucking awful. It was like.

• 1:09:15Speaker 03

  That's terrible.

• 1:09:15Drew Afualo?

And that was when I started workshopping bits and maybe this is when I knew I was born to be annoying for a living. Well, I knew that for a while, but like, I started workshopping bits because I got so sick of people being weird about it in public. That when they say, you know, you look like, you look just like Jason Momoa, or you look like Aquaman, I'd be like, thank you. And then like, I would say that with like, in earnest. And I can't even tell you how many times they'd go, not you, him. Yeah, bitch, I know. It's a joke.

• 1:09:41Speaker 02

Right over your head. Right over your head.

• 1:09:44Drew Afualo?

  Thank you. My god.

• 1:09:46Speaker 03

That makes the joke even better. You're like.

• 1:09:51Drew Afualo?

  My bad.

• 1:09:52Speaker 02

  I don't see it.

• 1:09:55Drew Afualo?

I remember that year for Halloween, um, we dressed up as Aquaman and, and fucking chick from the movie. And I forget her name, Mer- Merda, something like that. Who knows? But, yeah, who fucking knows? I wore a red wig and like a Fashion Nova looking outfit, like it was awful.

• 1:10:12Speaker 02

Who are you supposed to be?

• 1:10:13Drew Afualo?

Yeah, for real. And like, it's funny because I, I chose a picture from the movie and I was like showing it to my man and I had to work that day. So he was like, I got, I'm gonna go get all my costume stuff.

• 1:10:24Speaker 02

  He was in charge?

• 1:10:25Drew Afualo?

Yeah, yes. Yes, he was. But he did a great job. Because he goes, you know what I did? I just went to like a boot barn and just got, because in that movie, I swear to god, they told Jason Momoa, just wear your own clothes. Wear whatever you want. Because he's wearing a leather vest and like a black tank top and like a big giant aqua pendant.

• 1:10:43Speaker 02

  So unbranded.

• 1:10:44Drew Afualo?

And like black jeans. And he goes, I just went to boot barn and I just.

• 1:10:50Drew Afualo?

And I was like, why the fuck?

• 1:10:51Speaker 02

  That is so impressive.

• 1:10:52Drew Afualo?

Yeah, I was like, and then.

• 1:10:54Speaker 03

  And it worked?

• 1:10:54Drew Afualo?

Yeah, it worked and it was a smash fucking hit. Everyone was like, oh my god, you looked so fucking good. Wait a second. That was like old white ladies catnip.

• 1:11:06Speaker 02

  Oh my god.

• 1:11:07Drew Afualo?

My man to old white ladies is like, oh my god, when they see him.

• 1:11:12Speaker 02

  You're tall, aren't you?

• 1:11:13Drew Afualo?

Yeah, they're like, ooh, big guy. And it's funny because even when they would, he would, they would ask for pictures, like they're like, can I take a picture with you? And I would be like, well, you know, that's not him, like.

• 1:11:23Speaker 03

  Yeah.

• 1:11:23Drew Afualo?

  Obviously, that's not Jason.

• 1:11:24Speaker 02

  We're not at Universal Studios.

• 1:11:26Drew Afualo?

Yeah, Jason Ramon wouldn't be here, like, he wouldn't be in the Dwayne.

• 1:11:29Speaker 03

What are you gonna do with the picture? Show someone, hey, this guy looks. The person recei- on the receiving end of that, what the fuck are you doing? Show me this picture.

• 1:11:37Drew Afualo?

  It's a Halloween costume.

• 1:11:39Speaker 03

Is it him or not? Like, was he trying to be him or?

• 1:11:42Drew Afualo?

Yeah, that's exactly what I'm saying. And they were like, oh, I don't care, I just still want the picture. And I'd be like, and I was just like.

• 1:11:48Speaker 03

  Alright, don't touch him.

• 1:11:49Drew Afualo?

  Alright, here you go.

• 1:11:50Speaker 03

Alright, you could, you could, you could take a picture, but don't you dare wrap your arm around that way. Don't you dare.

• 1:11:55Drew Afualo?

Don't touch anyone. Or I'm gonna get mad.

• 1:11:57Speaker 03

  You keep them paws down.

• 1:12:00Drew Afualo?

That's your guys' favorite Halloween costume, you'd say?

• 1:12:03Speaker 02

  Um, um, yeah.

• 1:12:05Drew Afualo?

  Your best one?

• 1:12:06Speaker 03

I would say as a couple.

• 1:12:07Speaker 02

Oh no, we were, we were car salesmen's once.

• 1:12:09Speaker 03

  The car salesman.

• 1:12:11Speaker 02

Just random, we didn't know what to do.

• 1:12:12Speaker 03

That might have been my favorite, we put like big keys. So I was the sales manager and Erica was my top salesman. So, but we.

• 1:12:20Speaker 02

Why are you guys workshopping this?

• 1:12:21Speaker 03

Yeah, we kept the, we kept the characters like, it was our family Halloween part.

• 1:12:25Speaker 02

The whole time it was our family.

• 1:12:26Speaker 03

It was a family Halloween party, but I was like really trying to sell cars.

• 1:12:28Speaker 02

We were just in like fucking suits that were like oversized and didn't fit us and like a shitty mustache and wigs.

• 1:12:34Speaker 03

I actually jammed my back, I still have a serious back injury because I was dancing.

• 1:12:39Speaker 02

  You were crumping.

• 1:12:40Speaker 03

I was crumping in the, like, they're like real wooden, like, loafers. Jammed myself in the tile kitchen, like, we were in the kitchen, I like kept this shit on. And then when I, we took it off, I acted like we never did it. I don't know what I was on that night. It was our family. No one cares. People weren't even laughing.

• 1:12:59Drew Afualo?

  You guys were method acting.

• 1:13:00Speaker 02

They're like, alright, you guys could stop.

• 1:13:00Drew Afualo?

Yeah, it was like, it's two in the morning.

• 1:13:02Speaker 03

I got a good minivan out front.

• 1:13:03Speaker 02

I think my brother, my brother and his, uh, wife.

• 1:13:07Speaker 03

  Bought a car.

• 1:13:08Speaker 02

No, they announced, they announced that they were pregnant.

• 1:13:11Drew Afualo?

  That night.

• 1:13:15Drew Afualo?

And you're like, congratulations. You're crying in a mustache.

• 1:13:19Speaker 03

I was like, we gotta get a car seat in one of those cars. That backseat is not made of.

• 1:13:25Drew Afualo?

So you're looking for a bigger vehicle.

• 1:13:27Speaker 02

Yeah, that's what you're trying to tell me.

• 1:13:28Speaker 03

I know, I'll get you in a certified pre- real.

• 1:13:30Drew Afualo?

So you're in the market for a family vehicle.

• 1:13:33Speaker 03

We're gonna revive that, those characters, for sure.

• 1:13:35Drew Afualo?

That is so, the same night.

• 1:13:37Speaker 02

I guess all things circle back to Matilda, right? Cause wasn't her dad a car salesman?

• 1:13:40Speaker 03

His dad was a sketchy car salesman, man. We got a lot of, yeah, we were like.

• 1:13:42Drew Afualo?

Matilda is really the center point to you guys' relationship.

• 1:13:45Speaker 02

We should actually be the parents.

• 1:13:47Speaker 03

Oh, I need DeVito and, uh, she's a, she was great too. What's her name?

• 1:13:51Speaker 02

What is her name? I think she was in Barbie. I know, so, I think, who fucking cares?

• 1:13:56Drew Afualo?

It's just every year you guys are different characters from Matilda.

• 1:14:01Speaker 02
