• 0:32Speaker 01

Have you seen it? Yeah, no, yeah, no, but like, yeah, pretty much. I just know Nicolas Cage is in it and he's maybe like a vampire.

• 0:40Drew Afualo?

Nicolas Cage is not in Nosferatu.

• 0:44Speaker 01

  Whoa, like, like, not technically.

• 0:56Drew Afualo?

Hey, everyone, and welcome back to another episode of the Comment Section Show, starring me, your favorite, everybody knows me, who cares about me. Onto the guest. Today, we have another all-star with the one, the only, the hilarious Brett Neustrom.

• 1:09Speaker 01

I like the sound of all-star.

• 1:11Drew Afualo?

  Oh, my God, yeah.

• 1:12Speaker 01

Does that mean I've been on it twice? Or, okay, how many all-stars are there?

• 1:17Drew Afualo?

I've lost count at this point.

• 1:18Speaker 01

Okay, that means nothing. That's like with Spotify rap coming out and people posting me like being their number five, fifth listen to podcast. At that point, don't post. I don't need to know.

• 1:29Drew Afualo?

Hey, untag me from this. Thanks.

• 1:31Speaker 01

So it's like, oh, so you can see the other people. I'm like, oh, great. Yeah, you love them, don't you?

• 1:35Drew Afualo?

This episode is presented by Sephora. Okay, we're back. It's time for the really juicy part. Turn noise cancelling on. You won't want to miss this. Starting December 5th, Sephora's 20% off sale is back. Save on brands like Rare Beauty, Makeup by Mario, Amika, Glow Recipe, and more. Only at Sephora and Sephora at Kohl's. Exclusions and terms apply. I got some, I got one, a couple this morning that were like, I've only listened to like two episodes of this, but I guess.

• 2:07Speaker 01

How the fuck did this get in my soul? Like, okay.

• 2:10Drew Afualo?

If you've only listened to two episodes and one podcast this year, it's gonna be me.

• 2:14Speaker 01

  Yeah.

• 2:15Drew Afualo?

  Yes.

• 2:15Speaker 01

  So.

• 2:15Drew Afualo?

  Yes.

• 2:16Speaker 01

  Made it.

• 2:17Drew Afualo?

Were you proud of your Spotify wrapped?

• 2:20Drew Afualo?

I haven't even really taken a good look at mine.

• 2:21Speaker 01

Honestly, I think this is like the best it's ever been.

• 2:24Drew Afualo?

  Like the coolest?

• 2:25Speaker 01

  But it's still, yeah.

• 2:26Drew Afualo?

I know, I want to be so performative with my rap. Like I was like, and look how, I'm so different.

• 2:30Speaker 01

Right. And every single year, like, I'm like, okay, next year, like, I genuinely have to, like, get into older music just for like, the like, one post. Or it's like, yeah, I love Billy Joel, bitch. Yeah. Like, what of it? Yeah, Bon Jovi's, no, Bon Jovi's like, actually good.

• 2:43Drew Afualo?

Yeah, it's like, no Mumford and Sons, yeah. I love them, so.

• 2:47Speaker 01

Really? Um, but yeah, mine, my age gave me, it was like 22, which I think, like, I don't even know if we've gotten ages in the, in the past, but like, if it was, I feel like that's the oldest I would have been. Like, again, this is like the most mature my playlist has been in 22 years.

• 3:01Drew Afualo?

They were like, and you're probably 22. Most likely.

• 3:04Speaker 01

They also don't need to do that. Kind of like, get your ass, it's like, you have the taste of a 22 year old.

• 3:10Drew Afualo?

Yeah, are you proud of that? Yeah, post that in your story.

• 3:12Speaker 01

Yeah, well, actually, it means I'm youthful, so what was your age?

• 3:16Drew Afualo?

Young at heart. I didn't even see my age, honestly. I've only seen like, my top like, artist things, but what's funny about that is I only saw them because I filmed something for Spotify, with Spotify Wrapped specifically, like, a month ago. So, they didn't show me everything, but they showed me my top artists, and I was like, like,

• 3:32Speaker 01

  Who's your top artist?

• 3:33Drew Afualo?

Can't post that. Just kidding. It's not that bad. I have like, I think Beyonce was in there, obviously, she's in there every year, and I love having her there. But I do remember there was one guy in there that wrote, like, there's a lot of Broadway in mine.

• 3:44Speaker 01

  Okay.

• 3:44Drew Afualo?

So there's like, the most random.

• 3:46Speaker 01

That's surprising to me. I didn't know you were into Broadway like that.

• 3:48Drew Afualo?

Theater girl, I know. It's, and it's like, is it humiliating? Depends on who you ask, I guess.

• 3:53Speaker 01

But like, the fact I didn't, like, assume theater girl or know it, like, yeah, you're already like, way cooler than everyone else.

• 4:00Drew Afualo?

  I'm so different.

• 4:00Speaker 01

  Yeah, it's like,

• 4:01Drew Afualo?

Now I have to post it.

• 4:02Speaker 01

You're indie. You're an indie theater girl, because you're low key about it. Did you like Wicked for good?

• 4:09Drew Afualo?

I did like it, did you?

• 4:11Speaker 01

  Yeah, yeah.

• 4:13Speaker 01

I just think when something's like so overhyped and talked about by everyone in every conversation, then by the time it like, I don't care. That's how I feel about like almost holidays now, which like now I'm just like, am I not like a festive person?

• 4:25Drew Afualo?

  Okay, Scrooge.

• 4:26Speaker 01

Oh, we're talking about Christmas. Didn't we just fucking have Christmas last year?

• 4:29Drew Afualo?

  Yeah, we get it.

• 4:30Speaker 01

  Yeah.

• 4:30Drew Afualo?

  You love Christmas.

• 4:31Speaker 01

And let's put the Christ back in Christmas. kidding. I actually need to like go like full pendulum swing to like, let's put the Christ back in Christmas. Cause right now I'm doing Scrooge.

• 4:40Drew Afualo?

  Yeah.

• 4:41Speaker 01

So like I might as well just like, yeah.

• 4:43Drew Afualo?

Yeah, you're new. That's your New Year's resolution.

• 4:45Speaker 01

Yeah, I get a nativity scene, like a live nativity scene in my front yard. I need to do something to get in the spirit. Are you like really into holidays and Christmas and?

• 4:54Drew Afualo?

Yeah, I mean, I love Halloween. I love, love, love Halloween. Um, cause I love costumes. I love dressing up.

• 5:02Speaker 01

I also have a sigh, by the way. I'm looking directly into camera. Yeah, I have a sigh and a lot of people have sighs. It's a very normal thing and I'm taking action and I've been doing everything that I can. Don't even like, I don't even.

• 5:15Drew Afualo?

You know what though? Stye representation is so important.

• 5:17Speaker 01

  Yeah.

• 5:18Drew Afualo?

  You're doing a service.

• 5:19Speaker 01

  Right.

• 5:19Drew Afualo?

  For everyone.

• 5:20Speaker 01

  Right.

• 5:20Drew Afualo?

And also, I also, I was like literally telling Brett off camera, I was like, I have sigh medication in my purse. I will give it to you. Because it's the only thing that worked because I got one right before I had to film a bunch of stuff with like the most, most HD cameras you've ever seen in your life.

• 5:34Speaker 01

It's like, why did we get, we have seven Ks now? I thought it was just like 4K. It's like, what are we filming in seven K? Don't. Don't.

• 5:41Drew Afualo?

And what if I said, don't?

• 5:43Speaker 01

Yeah, we're like, like I need like the infant, like enhancement filter on TikTok that like flickers.

• 5:49Drew Afualo?

  They need face tune.

• 5:50Speaker 01

  Yeah.

• 5:50Drew Afualo?

On those bigger cameras. Yeah, so just smooth me out a little bit.

• 5:53Speaker 01

If we have seven K, we can have like the smooth out filter. Like that's too much.

• 5:58Drew Afualo?

Okay. So you're being a Scrooge this year.

• 6:00Speaker 01

Yeah, which I kinda was with, like, I just need to like get it together. I just need to find. I also think in LA, I'm from Iowa and so.

• 6:08Drew Afualo?

  It doesn't feel like Christmas.

• 6:09Speaker 01

It gets cold. It's like, yeah, it's put up a fucking Christmas tree. But like here, it's like, it's like, I'm sweating all the time. So I'm not like, wait, Santa. It's just like, okay, let's.

• 6:20Drew Afualo?

Are you a sweaty girl? Do you sweat at all? Me too.

• 6:22Speaker 01

  God, yeah.

• 6:23Drew Afualo?

  Me too.

• 6:23Speaker 01

We need like a better surgery for.

• 6:27Speaker 01

Or just even like a quick fix. I started using natural deodorant and then I stopped two days later because I'm like, at what cost? I really am not afraid of aluminum anymore.

• 6:36Drew Afualo?

Yeah, go ahead and inject it into me at this point. I need it. I agree because there are some natural deodorants I've tried where I literally was like, you're making me smell worse.

• 6:44Speaker 01

  Yeah.

• 6:44Drew Afualo?

I have never smelled that way in my life.

• 6:47Speaker 01

  It's

• 6:47Drew Afualo?

Since I've hit puberty, I've never smelled that way.

• 6:50Speaker 01

I don't get with like natural deodorants. Like I would smell better if I didn't do anything. Like if I just like wore nothing, I would smell better. It's like, how are you pulling out the odor from inside of me?

• 7:00Drew Afualo?

And adding new ones. They're like making a cocktail.

• 7:04Speaker 01

  Truly.

• 7:05Drew Afualo?

I know. I'm a big sweaty girl too. Honestly, that's why I started getting Botox.

• 7:08Speaker 01

  Oh.

• 7:09Drew Afualo?

Right here because it's supposed to help with sweating.

• 7:12Speaker 01

I mean, I don't ever wouldn't struggle from this, but like butt sweat? Do they like, can they shoot up someone down there or no?

• 7:19Drew Afualo?

I think so. I would assume.

• 7:21Speaker 01

But then would it like, the butt cheeks be a little inverted or no?

• 7:25Drew Afualo?

No, because I don't, I think what they, me just speaking so confidently, I have no fucking clue.

• 7:30Speaker 01

Yeah, but I believe every word you say.

• 7:32Drew Afualo?

Every injector is gonna jump me in the comments. I mean, I, my assumption is that it's not like filler. So it's not a foreign body. It like metabolizes. That's why you can get it.

• 7:41Speaker 01

  Okay.

• 7:41Drew Afualo?

Like a little bit younger and then older as well. Um, it's so it doesn't operate like filler. So I don't think it would distort anything.

• 7:47Speaker 01

I was imagining like handsome Squidward's face, but it's my butt cheeks. It's just like randomly very like firm in some areas, but if it doesn't sweat, like I will take a distorted ass.

• 7:58Drew Afualo?

Anything at this point. I, I know. I've joked about how like, if I shaved my head completely fucking bald, I would probably never sweat again. I'm convinced I just have too much hair on my body, on my head, on my person. All of it. And I'm always sweating like, and everywhere in Hollywood ever is hot.

• 8:14Speaker 01

  Yeah.

• 8:14Drew Afualo?

  Always.

• 8:15Speaker 01

I like have sweat through so many shirts. Like I have permanent sweat stains, which sucks because it's like, I can't even start fresh. Like obviously I would sweat through the shirt, but like now it's like, there's the past remnants of my sweat. And then on top of that, the additional new, the new new. And then it also starts like getting kind of like almost white.

• 8:35Drew Afualo?

  You're like discoloring it.

• 8:37Speaker 01

It's almost a little bit of discoloration as well.

• 8:39Drew Afualo?

  Yeah.

• 8:40Speaker 01

Um, but yeah, we need to find like a.

• 8:42Drew Afualo?

  A solution.

• 8:42Speaker 01

Yeah, like someone needs to be doing that.

• 8:44Drew Afualo?

  Needs to fix it.

• 8:45Speaker 01

  I'm sure they are.

• 8:46Drew Afualo?

  And nobody sweats.

• 8:47Speaker 01

  Yeah.

• 8:48Drew Afualo?

Nobody sweats and you're also very tall.

• 8:50Speaker 01

  Yeah.

• 8:50Drew Afualo?

Everyone is this big and never sweating.

• 8:52Speaker 01

  Right.

• 8:52Drew Afualo?

And they're like, it's freezing in here.

• 8:54Speaker 01

Party buses are hell. And it's always like, I'm dripping and everyone else, it's like, they're like glistening at best. And it somehow makes them look like better and like, I'm like, no one can like touch me or my back.

• 9:08Drew Afualo?

  You're having an emergency.

• 9:10Speaker 01

I look like the guy at like a wedding who's like doing way too fucking much. Like maybe like tried ketamine for the first time ever and is like sweating, but it's just like.

• 9:18Drew Afualo?

  Yeah, ties loose. Neck open.

• 9:21Speaker 01

Exactly. And it's just like sweat from every crevice. Like that's, like I have a Halloween holiday. Jesus, holiday party on Saturday that I'm like, I have to already think like, it's gonna be crowded. It's gonna be warm.

• 9:32Drew Afualo?

And I'm gonna be in a Christmas.

• 9:34Speaker 01

Yeah, great. So I have to be taking like lots of steps outside. It's like, no, I just like need to clear my head. I'm like dripping.

• 9:42Drew Afualo?

Need to go for a walk. I started carrying fans on.

• 9:45Speaker 01

  Oh, yeah.

• 9:45Drew Afualo?

I have two on me. What's funny is when I did a hosting gig for Sandisk, who they were like so lovely and amazing. They had like a little gift basket for me with stuff in it, like in my car when it came to pick me up. I was like, wow, that's so nice. And like, they were all things related to me. So there was like a huge box of lactaid. Right?

• 10:06Speaker 01

  You're like, okay.

• 10:07Drew Afualo?

Yeah. Right? And then, uh, cause I talk about shitting myself all the time. Oh, okay. I talk about having blowouts in my own pants. Sorry.

• 10:15Speaker 01

Why are you reading me? Did you like get into like a car and it was like a presentation of this?

• 10:21Drew Afualo?

Yeah, yeah. They had like a basket, like roses, water, like diet coke, cause that's my like favorite soda. And then it was like lactaid and then it was a fan.

• 10:29Speaker 01

You're like, okay, fine. Yeah. Lucky guess.

• 10:32Drew Afualo?

Yeah, I'm just a big sweaty shitty bitch. Okay, sorry.

• 10:35Speaker 01

  Okay, God.

• 10:36Drew Afualo?

  Yeah. Yeah.

• 10:37Speaker 01

Let's all hate the sweaty bitch. Like, God. All I do is sweat and shit. And drink Diet Coke, my god.

• 10:44Drew Afualo?

  Honestly, yeah.

• 10:45Speaker 01

Yeah, fair read. Like, I hate when someone will comment something and it's like, I can't even be mad at that because it's like, yeah, like, that's exactly what it's like, mm-hmm. You got me there.

• 10:57Drew Afualo?

  Yeah.

• 10:57Speaker 01

  Yeah.

• 10:58Drew Afualo?

I feel like your fans do that a lot. They did that to me too.

• 11:02Speaker 01

  Yeah.

• 11:03Drew Afualo?

But I feel like you would, I could vibe with you on that.

• 11:05Speaker 01

  Yeah.

• 11:05Drew Afualo?

They're just like saying things where you're like, right.

• 11:08Speaker 01

  I don't.

• 11:09Drew Afualo?

  Okay.

• 11:10Speaker 01

I like, try not to read DMs anymore because it's always just like, what the fuck are you saying? But then it's also like, I need to know what the fuck you're saying. And then I look and I'm like, you, oh my god.

• 11:22Speaker 01

That was the joke. That was the joke. And then it's like, okay, you know what? No, I'm not gonna like, you just don't get me? And then I'm like, make a three-part story set. I'm like, listen to your fuckers. And I'm like, no, I don't even like care about the comments, like, whatever, but I have to.

• 11:40Drew Afualo?

I know, my relationship with the comments is like bordering on abusive. It's very like, I can't escape.

• 11:46Speaker 01

  Right.

• 11:46Drew Afualo?

But I also need to know. And it's all, but also at the same time, it's like, I told this to Brittany when she came on for the Glinda episode, but I was like, someone wrote to me, you have a frowny face, belly button, just like me. And I for real was like, and I told her, I said out loud to myself, I'm not looking that up.

• 12:04Speaker 01

I can't, I'm protecting my peace. I don't need to do any further research.

• 12:08Drew Afualo?

Whatever that is, I believe you and I don't want to hear anymore about it. Thank you.

• 12:11Speaker 01

Yeah, I'm like, I'm sure you're right. I'm not gonna look into it. Um, yeah.

• 12:16Drew Afualo?

Yeah, no, the, like, it was very similar to like, when I went on Zach's saying show, I literally said like, a wall-eyed comment I got, I, that's a joke I've made many times. I said it on many things, but like, I was like, someone said, you're wall-eyed like me. And I had no idea what that was. This was at the very beginning of me doing this too. So I was just like reading DMs all the time.

• 12:37Speaker 01

Yeah, like reading every single comment.

• 12:38Drew Afualo?

Yeah, like, I was like, yeah, why not? Right? And then I looked it up and like, horses are wall-eyed because they can, they can look two ways at once. Because their eyes are on opposite sides of their head like that. And I made that joke on his show and I was saying like, Who's we, first of all? Because she's like, we're so alike.

• 12:56Speaker 01

  Yeah.

• 12:56Drew Afualo?

  In what way?

• 12:58Speaker 01

  I don't think.

• 12:58Drew Afualo?

And so like, he clipped that and that did really well on TikTok. But in the comments, people were like, I love her. But yes, medically speaking, it does look like you're wall eyed. Hey, queen, it's okay. You're wall eyed, just, and they start naming other people. Anya Taylor Joy? Like, she's gorgeous and stunning. Okay. What does that have to do with me? And no, that doesn't make me wall eyed.

• 13:21Speaker 01

  She's so pretty. Like, okay.

• 13:23Drew Afualo?

And she's wall eyed. Like, they're like, they're giving me inspo.

• 13:27Speaker 01

No, girl, like, a lot of, that reminds me of like, uh, Admiral, even Admiral Levine has like acne type thing. It's like, no, it's like, she's a, and she rocks harder than anyone else. It's like, okay, what are you? No, baby, no, no, no. Hey, Anya Taylor Joy, we love her. Remember her from The Queen's Gambit? She's also wall eyed, so.

• 13:46Drew Afualo?

Right. I, I get ta, I like got tagged by someone in a story once who was a famous person. But she was like, saying this whole thing about how, oh, like, these are women you can follow that like, they don't care that men don't find their bodies attractive.

• 14:05Speaker 01

  What?

• 14:06Drew Afualo?

  Oh.

• 14:06Speaker 01

Like, did I say, sorry, when did I say that?

• 14:08Drew Afualo?

Yeah, me and a bunch of other famous people. Like, me of all fucking people in the, I, I'll tell you the names after, but like, of all the peo. So they're like, this big fucking fat, fat ass doesn't give a shit. She doesn't care.

• 14:20Speaker 01

That's like, yeah, it's like, oh, my God, I love, she usually like, don't care. And it's like, what? You'll post anything.

• 14:27Drew Afualo?

  Yeah.

• 14:28Speaker 01

  I'm not, I'm very, okay.

• 14:30Drew Afualo?

Man, you really don't care what you look at at all. That's what I love about you. I love that you're so honest.

• 14:35Speaker 01

Oh, my God, do you know Veronica?

• 14:37Drew Afualo?

  Yeah.

• 14:37Speaker 01

So she was on a podcast, me, this is like.

• 14:40Drew Afualo?

  Veronica's cool.

• 14:40Speaker 01

  Veronica's cool.

• 14:41Drew Afualo?

  Yes.

• 14:41Speaker 01

So funny, love her to death. She's been my roommate, great friend.

• 14:44Drew Afualo?

Oh, cute. Now she's on SNL.

• 14:46Speaker 01

Yeah, so technically, like, I'm on SNL too.

• 14:48Drew Afualo?

Yeah, like, like, isn't that crazy?

• 14:50Speaker 01

Like, it's crazy, it's been, the adjustment periods have been nuts. But she was talking about on a podcast, just like, views and kind of being obsessed with it. And she's like, I remember I was talking to my friend Brett and he'd be like, oh, I get forty, I got forty seven views like, like, on this, like, and I don't give a shit. And I was like, when did I, what?

• 15:11Drew Afualo?

  He doesn't care at all.

• 15:12Speaker 01

No, he literally can get fucking eleven views and literally does like, like, proceeds as normal, like, well.

• 15:18Drew Afualo?

  And he keeps trying.

• 15:20Speaker 01

And she really said like, I remember we were at a coffee shop. I said this like over a year ago. I'm like, wait, that was not the point. She's like, no, he literally does not give a fuck. His videos do horribly. And he's like, fine with it.

• 15:31Drew Afualo?

And he's literally like, still doing it.

• 15:33Speaker 01

So I'm trying to like, learn from him, not give a fuck about how horribly my video, I'm like, okay. Yeah. I'm like, I'm glad it like, meant something to her and she's like, learned from that. But I was like, I don't.

• 15:44Drew Afualo?

Well, this is similar, but a weird jump. But like, you talked about Wicked.

• 15:48Speaker 01

  Yeah.

• 15:48Drew Afualo?

  And you watched it.

• 15:49Speaker 01

  Mm-hmm.

• 15:50Drew Afualo?

  In Wicked.

• 15:51Speaker 01

  Oh, yeah.

• 15:52Drew Afualo?

When he goes, it's not like, no one's ever called me beautiful. And he's just like, it's not, it's not that. It's looking at it through a different eyes or whatever the fuck.

• 16:00Speaker 01

  Ever fucking say that.

• 16:01Drew Afualo?

When we watched it at the premiere, my cousin Adam was with me and we were watching. And when he was like, it's not that. And we're like, oh. And he's like, it's looking at it from a different perspective.

• 16:10Speaker 01

  You're like, well.

• 16:12Drew Afualo?

  Adam, I went, okay.

• 16:14Speaker 01

Okay, yeah. I also think it's so crazy because like, Cynthia is obviously just like, so beautiful. Even it's like, girl, she's just green. She's not like, ugly. And it's like, well, I mean, I've changed the way of view, beauty. It's like, she's still like, objectively beautiful.

• 16:30Drew Afualo?

  Opened my mind.

• 16:31Speaker 01

Yeah, I've thought about it for a fucking long time. Took me a while to get there, but Jesus Christ, I think I could do this. I think I could do this.

• 16:40Drew Afualo?

Well, I know, I literally was laughing about that later because I know that's what happens in the stage play. It's just like, in the movie, it feels jarring because it's so intimate. And like, I was telling him, that's like, really like, I mean, like, I'm still willing to fuck, though.

• 16:54Speaker 01

  Yeah.

• 16:55Drew Afualo?

  Like, that's how it feels.

• 16:56Speaker 01

That was like, yeah, you're putting back on the carpet and what do you mean? Okay.

• 17:02Speaker 01

All right, as long as you didn't mean it like that. Let's do this.

• 17:06Drew Afualo?

And me and, uh, my sister joked about this, but like, when you see Jonathan Bailey as the scarecrow. Now who's ugly?

• 17:13Speaker 01

  Yeah.

• 17:13Drew Afualo?

  Yeah.

• 17:14Speaker 01

I know, yeah, it's like she's just green. You are like, I don't even know what you are. You're made of straw bitch. Like you are hard to love now.

• 17:22Drew Afualo?

Yeah, well, and it's like when you, when they first showed him too, I was like, oh.

• 17:25Speaker 01

Yeah, oh god. Yeah, that's gonna take some time. Yeah, that's gonna do it.

• 17:30Drew Afualo?

Yeah, I feel like you should have baby stepped me.

• 17:34Speaker 01

Okay, cool. What are you doing? Like just like a second half, like your body first and then the face like all at once.

• 17:39Drew Afualo?

  Like slow.

• 17:42Speaker 01

I can do the shoes. Okay, pants?

• 17:44Drew Afualo?

  Alright.

• 17:45Speaker 01

Jeez, that's the face too. Okay. It's crazy that she did that to him. So it is like, okay, yeah, you do kind of have to be with him because like he looked great before and now he's busted.

• 17:56Drew Afualo?

And then you got in there.

• 17:58Speaker 01

  Yeah, y'all should be together.

• 18:00Drew Afualo?

And then you know what she should do? Leave him.

• 18:01Speaker 01

  Yeah.

• 18:02Drew Afualo?

  Yeah, like men do.

• 18:02Speaker 01

Yeah, exactly, yeah. Right when she like gets him like wrapped around, alright, you have to come out.

• 18:07Drew Afualo?

  Actually, you're like really clingy.

• 18:10Speaker 01

  I can't get past it. I'm sorry. I've tried. I just can't. The straw isn't it for me. I can't.

• 18:16Drew Afualo?

I'm sorry, I just can't do it. The hair. It's the head. It's everything about the head.

• 18:21Speaker 01

Um, something funny. I recorded a video last night about this like type of man I hate online right now. And I, I finished it. I was like, I just need to talk about it with you right now.

• 18:33Drew Afualo?

  Yes, yes.

• 18:34Speaker 01

Because I think you know this type of man, but it's the like self-proclaimed goofy guy who makes like a compilation video of him being like silly, like dancing funny at like a wedding or like throwing his, what like, what is the point of that? What the fuck am I supposed to do with this?

• 18:51Drew Afualo?

You're supposed to be like, oh.

• 18:52Speaker 01

Oh my god. It's like the second a man puts up his, like sets his phone up to take a video of him, I'm like, not like, oh, you're goofy. I'm like, I hate you. You're so annoying. There's this guy who like will set up his phone in like the grocery store aisle and will be like, we remembered I had free will and it's like him like being goofy.

• 19:13Speaker 01

  I, I swear to God.

• 19:16Drew Afualo?

  And you just.

• 19:16Speaker 01

I wanna bully him so fucking bad.

• 19:18Drew Afualo?

Is that meme with the chips on her head and like can't take this crazy girl anywhere?

• 19:23Speaker 01

You like making your friends take a video or picture of you being silly and then posting it. I'm like, you're not fucking silly, you're annoying.

• 19:31Drew Afualo?

How can straight men do that shit?

• 19:32Speaker 01

  It's, yeah.

• 19:33Drew Afualo?

  It's performative.

• 19:33Speaker 01

  It's so performative.

• 19:34Drew Afualo?

  It's not for real.

• 19:35Speaker 01

And again, just like the get ready with me, like dancing, like dance break, you are a fucking straight man. Why do you, like, why are you setting up your phone and taking a video?

• 19:45Drew Afualo?

I don't wanna see you get ready.

• 19:46Speaker 01

  Yeah.

• 19:46Drew Afualo?

I don't wanna see you do anything.

• 19:47Speaker 01

  I know.

• 19:48Drew Afualo?

  Especially not enjoy yourself.

• 19:49Speaker 01

Yeah, like a little dance. You think I wanna see you do a little happy dance? Fuck that. I don't wanna see you be happy, let alone post online of you being silly and quirky.

• 19:58Drew Afualo?

And looking for other women to be like, I wish my, I hope my husband looks like this.

• 20:03Speaker 01

Yeah, I want my husband to dance with me at a wedding.

• 20:07Drew Afualo?

Well, yeah, I would fucking hope so. Like, it feels like, it's, uh, every time I, I talk shit like that on here, if it gets clipped in any way, it'll go on TikTok and then it'll go to the wrong side of all the men who fucking hate me. And then they'll all be like, so you don't like watching men experience joy? No.

• 20:27Speaker 01

Yeah, like, well, yeah, like, exactly.

• 20:30Drew Afualo?

  Yeah, no.

• 20:32Speaker 01

Why would I want that? Why should they be jumping with joy? I don't wanna see it.

• 20:38Drew Afualo?

Like, it's so funny, cause I'm like, no, I don't.

• 20:40Speaker 01

  Yeah.

• 20:40Drew Afualo?

No, is that what you wanna hear? I don't watch, I don't enjoy watching straight men commiserate with each other and have a blast. I don't like watching that.

• 20:48Speaker 01

I also like, why are you filming that? No offense, that's gay. Like, that's kinda gay, don't you think? Like, why are you filming, like, just any man, like, straight man online?

• 20:59Drew Afualo?

Like, trying to film joy in a very performative way.

• 21:02Speaker 01

And yeah, it's all like, they, what they think is like written by a woman, but it's like, no, women hate you.

• 21:07Drew Afualo?

  Male gaze.

• 21:07Speaker 01

  Yeah.

• 21:08Drew Afualo?

  Or female gaze.

• 21:09Speaker 01

  Female gaze.

• 21:09Drew Afualo?

  Female gaze.

• 21:10Speaker 01

  You being goofy?

• 21:11Drew Afualo?

  Yeah, uh.

• 21:12Speaker 01

Free will, that whole bullshit. Free will, so I can dance in the.

• 21:18Drew Afualo?

You know why you're my, you're one of my favorite people to follow? Because you make videos that are so like, you are so right about the hate, like the shit that you genuinely, it irritates you. It's like the most minute niche things, which like I relate to on a cellular level. Like when you're talking, like, no, no, I don't want to watch, no.

• 21:40Speaker 01

  Yeah, what?

• 21:41Drew Afualo?

Literally shut up and go get a job.

• 21:43Speaker 01

Yeah, like, put your phone down.

• 21:45Drew Afualo?

Or when you made that video, when you were talking about, these are things that I'm allowed to do that no one else is. So like talking during a movie.

• 21:52Speaker 01

Right. Like if I have something funny to say, I have to say it. And also it's adding to the experience for other people.

• 22:00Speaker 01

If someone else is talking, why the fuck, hey dumbass, we all paid to be here. Go watch it at your house. Like that's not, or even if I have to pee, what do you mean? I have to pee like a, I'm fucking human. Like someone else has to pee. You can't hold your bladder for two hours. Are you fucking kidding me? You knew you were coming. Why'd you, why'd you get a soda then? Why'd you get a fucking soda?

• 22:22Drew Afualo?

You knew you were gonna be sitting in that seat.

• 22:24Speaker 01

  You're gonna be sitting here.

• 22:25Drew Afualo?

You knew that the whole time you've known that.

• 22:27Speaker 01

Yeah, I, I feel like I can get away with a lot more. But also I'm like, I'm not annoying. So that's, I'm allowed to.

• 22:34Drew Afualo?

  I'm also a fucking delight.

• 22:36Speaker 01

Yeah, I'm like so fun to be around. So I'm like, yeah, I can do, with driving, like it's like truly, I almost got in a car accident on the way here. Fully my fault. But in my defense, how it wasn't my fault, my like blind spot detector didn't go off. So I'm like, I'm not looking. Yeah, I trust in that there was a car right there.

• 22:54Drew Afualo?

  Right, right.

• 22:54Speaker 01

But that's like, that's my car's fault. Yeah. I'm not gonna double check my car. Like, he knows best.

• 23:01Drew Afualo?

  What did I pay for?

• 23:01Speaker 01

  Yeah, exactly.

• 23:02Drew Afualo?

  What's the fucking point?

• 23:03Speaker 01

What's the fucking point? Give me my money back.

• 23:05Drew Afualo?

I told my sister once, I go, do you ever do this thing with, uh, blind spot checking where you like, just kind of like, don't do it?

• 23:11Speaker 01

  Yeah.

• 23:12Drew Afualo?

And then she goes, what do you mean? Like you just don't look at all? And I go, no, like you look, but like you don't look.

• 23:18Speaker 01

  Yeah.

• 23:20Drew Afualo?

I was like, you know, like you do like the whole like motion.

• 23:22Speaker 01

Yeah, but like you're obviously not even clocking.

• 23:24Drew Afualo?

Yeah, and the only reason I do that is because there's other people in the car.

• 23:26Speaker 01

Oh, exactly. It's a courtesy fake like, okay, good.

• 23:30Drew Afualo?

And then she goes, no, I've never done that. And then I go, okay, well, I thought there was commuting in this car.

• 23:35Speaker 01

Sorry, I thought I could be vulnerable and transparent. No, I'll just keep shit to myself. No, I'll just bottle it up.

• 23:41Drew Afualo?

  No, it's okay.

• 23:41Speaker 01

  No.

• 23:42Drew Afualo?

  No, it's all right.

• 23:42Speaker 01

When I was in driver's ed, I didn't know when they're like, you have to look. I was like, where, where do I look? So I would just do like, mm. I somehow passed driver's ed, but I think it literally was just because there was no one in my blind spot the entire time I was driving. But if there were, was, I would have like fully gotten a car accident and not passed.

• 23:58Drew Afualo?

When I took my driver's permit test, like, you know, I have to do the written one. Or did you guys have to do that?

• 24:03Speaker 01

  Yeah.

• 24:04Drew Afualo?

And yeah, so we had to do the written one first. You had to have that for like six months and then you could take the driver's test. When I did the written test, I failed that thing twice.

• 24:11Speaker 01

  It's so hard.

• 24:12Drew Afualo?

Yeah, the third time I like, my mom took off work early to like take me both times. The third time she's like, I'm not taking you.

• 24:21Speaker 01

That's exactly what happened to me too. It was like a forty five minute drive. I was like, you studied this time, right? After I failed, I was like, yes, I'm gonna be fucking studying. Mom, stop. And I failed like almost immediately. Then you have to like walk back out. It's like, okay, let's go.

• 24:35Speaker 01

Do we have to? Let's get in the car. Just, we can talk about it later.

• 24:37Drew Afualo?

Mom, no, obviously not. Obviously it didn't pass.

• 24:40Speaker 01

  Fucking pass.

• 24:40Drew Afualo?

Obviously it didn't pass, obviously. I was like, well, I didn't even eat breakfast, so.

• 24:44Speaker 01

  So, yeah.

• 24:45Drew Afualo?

  It's exhausting. I'm exhausted.

• 24:47Speaker 01

They literally have like so many practices. Like, how was I supposed to know like how far away I have to stop from a bus? It's like, and like the first page of like the rev-. Why am I supposed to know that? Mom, stop. We're coming back tomorrow. Take another day off work. Okay? I'm not gonna study.

• 25:05Drew Afualo?

I was like, I literally scheduled it for seven AM tomorrow. She gave me times. I picked that one.

• 25:09Speaker 01

  Sorry.

• 25:10Drew Afualo?

Yeah. The first time I couldn't even take it. So technically I failed three times. The first time I couldn't even take it because she said. I, hell, okay. How the fuck was I supposed to know there was gonna be an eye exam?

• 25:23Speaker 01

  Yeah.

• 25:24Drew Afualo?

  With it?

• 25:24Speaker 01

  No.

• 25:25Drew Afualo?

  I didn't know that.

• 25:25Speaker 01

  Yeah.

• 25:26Drew Afualo?

So like, and also, I'm fifteen, like, I'm sixteen, so I, I used to-

• 25:29Speaker 01

I was supposed to prepare for this? Like, what do you mean? I can't even drive here.

• 25:33Drew Afualo?

I was like, literally, my mom just told me what to do when I came. And so, like, I remember, so I have horrible fucking vision.

• 25:40Speaker 01

  Okay.

• 25:41Drew Afualo?

And so, I've had terrible vision for a very long time. And so, in high school, I used to do what I just call free balling, which I just, like, wouldn't wear anything.

• 25:48Speaker 01

  Yeah.

• 25:48Drew Afualo?

And I was like, I was just like, whatever.

• 25:50Speaker 01

I need to see shit, fine, whatever. What happens, happens.

• 25:53Drew Afualo?

Yeah, it's like, if it's meant for me, it would be, you know? And I felt very, I'm like, walking by faith, not by sight.

• 25:58Speaker 01

  Yeah.

• 25:59Drew Afualo?

And so, I, for real, like, would just never wear anything. And then I would bring my glasses to school, and I would wear them in class, so I could, like, read the board. But for the, like, I remember when my mom got me tested, because they were like, I think she needs, not for that, but tested. I was like, they're gonna talk, think I'm talking about autism, now I'm talking about-

• 26:15Speaker 01

  Yeah.

• 26:15Drew Afualo?

  Eyes.

• 26:16Speaker 01

  Yeah, eyes.

• 26:17Drew Afualo?

When I was getting tested for that, they told her to take me, because I was squinting so much at the board. And then she asked me, can you see anything right there? And I was like, no.

• 26:24Speaker 01

  Haha.

• 26:25Drew Afualo?

And, because I can't read, like, I can see shapes generally and colors, but I just can't read anything from far away.

• 26:30Speaker 01

  That's not important with school.

• 26:32Drew Afualo?

No, right, and she goes like-

• 26:33Speaker 01

  When a teacher's teaching, and I like the board, you're like, I don't know what's going on.

• 26:36Drew Afualo?

She was like, what do you do in class when you can't read the board? And I go, I just ask the person next to me. Like, I literally asked him, can you tell me what that says?

• 26:42Speaker 01

  Oh my god.

• 26:43Drew Afualo?

And then they go, oh, yeah, and they just say it to me, and I just write down, I'm like, oh, cool, thanks. That's what I've been doing forever. And my mom was like, you're not embarrassed to ask people? And I was like, no.

• 26:51Speaker 01

  You're like, I can't see.

• 26:52Drew Afualo?

  Well, community.

• 26:53Speaker 01

  Yeah, exactly.

• 26:54Drew Afualo?

Price of, the price of community is inconvenience.

• 26:57Speaker 01

  Hmm.

• 26:57Drew Afualo?

If you gotta read me the board for a little. And it's funny, because as kids, my sister, like, would always read menus to me if they were far away. So I'd be like, what does it say? And then she would tell me, I'd be like, oh, okay.

• 27:07Speaker 01

  What's under that?

• 27:08Drew Afualo?

  Yeah.

• 27:09Speaker 01

Does that come with, what's the side on that?

• 27:10Drew Afualo?

  Yeah.

• 27:11Speaker 01

She's like, just fucking, you're like, okay.

• 27:13Drew Afualo?

So that's why I was like, well, this is normal. I'll just ask the person next to me to do the same thing. So I got my glasses. Anyways, fast forward to my first permit test. I had no glasses, no contacts in. I walk up, she goes, okay, we're gonna do an eye exam. I go, eye exam? She goes, yeah, can you read those letters? And I go, nope. And she goes, you can't read them at all? And I go, no. And then she goes, oh, do you have glasses? No. Do you have contacts in? No. And she goes, okay, well, you can't take the test. I said, oh, my god, my mom's gonna kill me.

• 27:40Speaker 01

Yeah, you're like, no, seriously, okay.

• 27:42Drew Afualo?

  Wait, I was just kidding.

• 27:43Speaker 01

  I, yeah, I can read.

• 27:45Drew Afualo?

  Yeah, no, wait.

• 27:45Speaker 01

  Oh, wait, yeah.

• 27:46Drew Afualo?

  Wait, you said read, right?

• 27:47Speaker 01

Yeah, I know how to read. But can you just start? Can you tell me what's the first? Yeah, you ask her. Wait, what's that one say? Okay.

• 27:53Drew Afualo?

And I remember when I first did an eye exam, my mom and sister were in the room and they were laughing the whole time because I got every letter wrong. Every single one. I got every letter wrong.

• 28:01Speaker 01

  Just guessing.

• 28:01Drew Afualo?

And I would say them so confidently. I'd be like, A, and it's a Z.

• 28:05Speaker 01

  Yeah, you're like, okay.

• 28:06Drew Afualo?

  Perfect.

• 28:06Speaker 01

  T, H, no, okay.

• 28:10Drew Afualo?

And my eye doctor was like, you just walk around in a big blur all the time? And I was like, kind of.

• 28:14Speaker 01

  Yeah.

• 28:14Drew Afualo?

And I used to, when I did get my license and I was in high school, I used to tell my friends like, oh, I only need glasses to drive at night. That's not true. Like, that's not true.

• 28:25Speaker 01

  Yeah.

• 28:25Drew Afualo?

I need them all the time, so they're actually.

• 28:28Speaker 01

At night, like, I have to see, because it's like, it's darker. But during the day, I can see, like, light, but I can't see shapes or.

• 28:33Drew Afualo?

During the morning, it's like nighttime for me, too, because that's how bad my vision is, but like, you know.

• 28:37Speaker 01

No, I only need them at night.

• 28:40Speaker 01

You're driving so dangerously. Yeah, just a night thing, it's fine.

• 28:44Drew Afualo?

Sorry, is it night? It's 2:00 PM. Oh, wait, what time is it?

• 28:48Speaker 01

Well, if, like, you don't address something as a problem, it's not a problem.

• 28:51Drew Afualo?

  Right.

• 28:52Speaker 01

Yeah, whatever, I can't see anything, it's fine.

• 28:54Drew Afualo?

  It's literally.

• 28:54Speaker 01

Unless it's dark out, then I'll put on my glasses.

• 28:57Drew Afualo?

And my mom was like, why don't you wear your glasses all the time? And I was like, because it's too hot. And my mom would never understand. She's like, what do you mean, too hot? And I'm like, it just.

• 29:05Speaker 01

  Would they fog up?

• 29:06Drew Afualo?

Yes, I, we already said, I'm a sweaty girl.

• 29:08Speaker 01

I have, thank god, good vision, or else, like, those would be, like, I would need, like, damn near, like, wiper, windshield wipers on those. Defrosters.

• 29:19Drew Afualo?

No, that's why like glasses are such a fucking nuisance to wear all the time. Well, especially when I wanted to do like glam makeup, stuff like that. I was like, they're just getting in the way of everything. And I was like, but I wear them in class and I just put them on and then I would just take them off and go back to being blind. Now that I wear contacts all the time or glasses, I'm, I don't know what my problem was and how I did that. Sometimes when I don't want to feel overstimulated, like if I'm feeling really anxious or like panicky, I'll take my contacts.

• 29:45Speaker 01

I just don't want to see this.

• 29:46Drew Afualo?

Yeah, and I literally said it's like putting a crate over, like a blanket over my crate.

• 29:51Speaker 01

  Yeah.

• 29:51Drew Afualo?

And then I'm like, I'm like a bird, so I think it's nighttime, so I go to sleep. Then I can, I can like calm down.

• 29:56Speaker 01

The less you know, the better.

• 29:57Drew Afualo?

  Yeah.

• 29:57Speaker 01

You're like, I just don't want to see or know anything.

• 29:59Drew Afualo?

Yeah, whatever's going on, none of my business.

• 30:01Speaker 01

You just start getting anxious, you're like, alright. He's like throwing the contact, alright, alright, feel better. You have no idea where you are. Alright, where were we?

• 30:14Drew Afualo?

Well, anyways, did you like Wicked for Good? I forgot to ask.

• 30:18Speaker 01

  Um, I thought it was

• 30:19Drew Afualo?

  Did you enjoy it?

• 30:20Speaker 01

Fine. I just, again, like overhyped things. I just, when I've heard about it so many times, it's hard for me to like stay excited about it. And it's just like, this is such like a thing for that community that's like, the, the theater, like I'm like, I am just such like a, oh yeah, I, I think it's fun. But it's like, it meant everything to some people.

• 30:40Drew Afualo?

  Right.

• 30:41Speaker 01

And it's always just bizarre where it's like, I like randomly went the night it came out and it was like the diehards and then like me being like, yeah, I'll see it. It remind me when I went like skiing for the first time and like people there are like, this is their fucking life.

• 30:54Drew Afualo?

  Skiing, they're like every year.

• 30:56Speaker 01

I just want to get down a hill and then I'll like go get like a drink at the

• 31:00Drew Afualo?

  At the lodge.

• 31:00Speaker 01

Yeah. And these people are like, this is like the most important thing to them.

• 31:04Drew Afualo?

  You have no idea.

• 31:05Speaker 01

And I'm like, sure, sure, I'll go skiing.

• 31:08Drew Afualo?

I feel like that about a lot of things too. I'm like, why not?

• 31:11Speaker 01

  Yeah.

• 31:12Drew Afualo?

  Yeah.

• 31:12Speaker 01

  Cool.

• 31:13Drew Afualo?

  Sure.

• 31:13Speaker 01

Yeah. And then yeah, it's like, oh wait, people are actually passionate about it and it feels like, oh wait, like I'm not like y'all, I'm sorry, I'm just like, I'm just here because like I kind of want to be here, I guess. But not like, like really want to be here, sure, I'll do it.

• 31:26Drew Afualo?

  Right.

• 31:26Speaker 01

  So.

• 31:27Drew Afualo?

  Why not?

• 31:27Speaker 01

  Yeah.

• 31:27Drew Afualo?

I think that's a healthy attitude to have about things.

• 31:30Speaker 01

I also like shout out Taylor Swift so much and like that really pissed people off. I lost seven thousand followers in a day because of it.

• 31:36Drew Afualo?

  Oh my god.

• 31:37Speaker 01

So I'm done talking shit, but I think it's like, I, I also don't want to be the person, it's like if someone really likes something, there's no point of me being like, I fucking hate her.

• 31:45Drew Afualo?

  Right.

• 31:45Speaker 01

And then it's like, okay, well I Okay. And that's what I feel about like Wicked, like I don't like love it, but like I'm not gonna shit on it so much cuz I know like a lot of people like it and

• 31:55Drew Afualo?

  Right.

• 31:55Speaker 01

I just so annoyed where it's like, oh my god, have you heard this song? I love it. It's like, I hate it.

• 32:00Drew Afualo?

No, I haven't. I've been listening to other things.

• 32:02Speaker 01

Yeah, no, I don't really like that shit, but.

• 32:03Drew Afualo?

  Yeah.

• 32:04Speaker 01

It's like, okay, let me like literally go.

• 32:08Drew Afualo?

That's why I think your content is so funny because it's like a safe place for haters.

• 32:13Speaker 01

  Yeah.

• 32:13Drew Afualo?

But in a very healthy nuanced way.

• 32:15Speaker 01

  Yeah.

• 32:16Drew Afualo?

Like, is it hating or is it just assessing?

• 32:18Speaker 01

Well, I also think like pretending to complain is so fucking funny. Like, I really like don't get upset about most things.

• 32:25Drew Afualo?

  Yeah.

• 32:25Speaker 01

And so I'm like, but it's kind of fun to be like, oh, fucking hate.

• 32:29Drew Afualo?

  Yeah, no, perfect.

• 32:30Speaker 01

  Yeah, no.

• 32:31Drew Afualo?

  Love that, yeah.

• 32:32Speaker 01

But like I genuinely, I'm like, if I cared about this, I wouldn't be like posting it on my story. Like if I actually was like.

• 32:38Drew Afualo?

  I don't.

• 32:39Speaker 01

Like I wouldn't just be like, ah, like it's like, obviously I'm, I don't give a shit enough to like make a joke of it. And I hope people like realize that where it's like, oh, I'm not actually like I, it's a joke.

• 32:51Drew Afualo?

• 33:33Speaker 01

But then people are like, oh, I think he genuinely is upset about this. And then I'm like, alright. And then they're just thinking like a, but the people get it. It's fun.

• 33:41Speaker 01

But those get it. Yeah, I love it.

• 33:42Drew Afualo?

Also, it's fun to be like, to like talk shit on things.

• 33:46Speaker 01

  Yeah.

• 33:47Drew Afualo?

  Like in good nature.

• 33:48Speaker 01

  Yeah.

• 33:48Drew Afualo?

Not like dogging shit out for the sake of just being contrarian, but like if you don't like something, you don't like something. And I think that's okay. I was experiencing the same shit when worlds were trying to jump me about the summer I turned pretty.

• 33:59Speaker 01

What'd you say about the summer I turned?

• 34:00Drew Afualo?

I said I wasn't a Team Conrad girl and they wanted my head on the castle walls.

• 34:04Speaker 01

You like Jeremiah though? That's crazy.

• 34:05Drew Afualo?

I did. I did until we got.

• 34:07Speaker 01

I'm like, no, I like start shitting on you.

• 34:09Drew Afualo?

For sure. No, for sure. I did like him until the latest season, the last season.

• 34:15Speaker 01

  Okay.

• 34:15Drew Afualo?

I liked him up until that point. Episode one, dogged him out bad.

• 34:20Speaker 01

  Yeah.

• 34:20Drew Afualo?

I said, those writers want him dead.

• 34:23Speaker 01

  Yeah.

• 34:23Drew Afualo?

They gave him two shades, too dark of a tan.

• 34:26Speaker 01

  Yeah.

• 34:26Drew Afualo?

  And an awful storyline.

• 34:27Speaker 01

  Yeah.

• 34:28Drew Afualo?

They fucked his shit up bad. And I said, they made him so, I made this joke to my sister and maybe you'll get it. But I said, the version of Jeremiah they were writing in the last season, based off the first two episodes, was this guy.

• 35:19Drew Afualo?

  Do you get it?

• 35:23Speaker 01

I don't get it, but that out of context, it's, it's kind of like this guy. Okay. Wait, who's this guy?

• 35:32Drew Afualo?

The guy who does that in pictures.

• 35:34Speaker 01

  Oh, yes, yes. Oh, yeah.

• 35:37Drew Afualo?

Same guy at the wedding that you were talking about.

• 35:38Speaker 01

Well, also like the guy, his like friend, Beefstick, what is his name? Like Red, Red.

• 35:44Drew Afualo?

  Redbird.

• 35:44Speaker 01

Redbo, Redbone, Redbird. I'm not calling you Redbird.

• 35:49Drew Afualo?

  What's his name? Chomps?

• 35:49Speaker 01

Like, yeah. Fucking Slim Jim, I don't know. Redbone, Red.

• 35:55Drew Afualo?

  Redbird, Redbird.

• 35:56Speaker 01

Why am I, Redbird, well, like, why the fuck, what's your name? I'm not calling you Redbird.

• 36:01Drew Afualo?

  It's sending you into psychosis.

• 36:03Speaker 01

He's so coded. And it's like you got one friend like then like you end up becoming.

• 36:08Drew Afualo?

Who does that in every, every fucking picture like.

• 36:12Speaker 01

I kind of feel like that actor is like that in real life too. I don't think he was acting, he literally is.

• 36:17Drew Afualo?

No, and you know what's crazy is I made that joke on my sister and I's podcast after we watched the first two episodes. I said they, the smear campaign they're running is crazy. And I said, they made him that guy and I'm pissed the fuck off about it. And then fast forward to the end when Belly's in Paris, like, did you watch it?

• 36:36Speaker 01

  Yeah.

• 36:36Drew Afualo?

Okay, so when she's in Paris, remember that first night she goes to fucking Burgain or whatever the fuck like? She goes to that German fucking club. She does.

• 36:44Speaker 01

Sure, with hers, is that when she was chasing down her suitcase or she had her? Like, okay.

• 36:50Drew Afualo?

Yeah, and they, and they put her in, what, what's the shoes called this? The shoes, Solomons, all black Solomons. I'm pissed the fuck off who did that to her, making her run around in a light wash jean with dark black.

• 37:03Speaker 01

Don't put our girl, she's been through enough.

• 37:04Drew Afualo?

  She's been through enough.

• 37:05Speaker 01

Called off her wedding, let's just put.

• 37:06Drew Afualo?

And she's about to get a bob, she has a lot going on. When she's at that German club and some guys like harassing that girl that helps her get in. When they, when they walk away from him, he says, hey, and they turn around and he goes.

• 37:19Drew Afualo?

I'm not even kidding, go watch.

• 37:20Speaker 01

  You're like, they're pushing this.

• 37:21Drew Afualo?

No, and I literally was like, my mind is so powerful.

• 37:24Speaker 01

Yeah, I called it, I fucking called it.

• 37:25Drew Afualo?

  I fucking knew it.

• 37:26Speaker 01

Conspiracy theorist, no. When I tell you before I even started watching, I said that. No, he, well, I mean, the fact that he like cheated on Belly and like Cabo was so coded.

• 37:37Drew Afualo?

  It is.

• 37:37Speaker 01

  It's like, yeah, you got.

• 37:38Drew Afualo?

  Absolutely.

• 37:39Speaker 01

All right, now he's a frat douche.

• 37:40Drew Afualo?

  Yeah, absolutely.

• 37:41Speaker 01

I also am like, he's not hot enough to be like cheating on.

• 37:46Speaker 01

  Like, that little twink.

• 37:50Drew Afualo?

  Hey, sorry.

• 37:51Speaker 01

Like, what did, he just like, whatever.

• 37:53Drew Afualo?

I know Lola Tong's face card is unlimited.

• 37:56Speaker 01

  Yeah.

• 37:57Drew Afualo?

She has the most beautiful face. Every time they were showing her close up, I said, oh my God, she has the most beautiful face.

• 38:02Speaker 01

  Yeah.

• 38:02Drew Afualo?

I hope she leaves her face just like that.

• 38:04Speaker 01

  I hope so too.

• 38:04Drew Afualo?

It's perfect, beautiful. But when I was talking my shit about Conrad, oh, girl, they wanted me dead. They were spreading rumors about me in the town square that I was a witch, because they. Want to be burned at the fucking stake.

• 38:16Speaker 01

It's also crazy. It's like I talk shit about real people and you all, y'all are mad at me talking shit about this like fictional. Now they're like meaner to you about that than like.

• 38:25Drew Afualo?

They're like, no, I, I think it's, it's really great what you do, but honestly, this is too far.

• 38:31Speaker 01

  I love you, but.

• 38:34Drew Afualo?

Literally wrote a comment to me and said, I unraveled all of the work I've ever done for women by not liking Conrad.

• 38:42Speaker 01

You put back feminism 25 years by saying.

• 38:45Drew Afualo?

Yeah, absolutely. And we all know I started feminism.

• 38:49Speaker 01

  And also you ended it.

• 38:52Drew Afualo?

  Hope you're proud of that.

• 38:56Drew Afualo?

No, I, it was the same thing. So I get what you mean when you're like, it's, I told, I've like joked about this with my friends before, but like when they're like, you're actually not like, this was an insane comment. We got once on my other podcast with my sister, but it was like, we were talking shit about Love Island. I've never watched. I don't care. I don't want to watch, right? Like reality TV is not really my vibe. So I was like, I was talking my shit about it mostly just about how awful the men were because they were. And it was every take out, every scene I was seeing was from TikTok exclusively. And so I, I made sure to say that. And someone said, you actually can't talk about the show if you haven't watched it. Yes, I can.

• 39:31Speaker 01

I can actually do whatever the fuck I want.

• 39:36Speaker 01

I also like a show like that. It's like, bitch, this is everywhere. Like even if I'm not watching it, I get like TikTok like.

• 39:43Drew Afualo?

  Beat over the head.

• 39:43Speaker 01

Yeah, I can't look away. Like, yeah.

• 39:46Drew Afualo?

  Yeah, I have no choice.

• 39:47Speaker 01

You actually can't unless you've seen all 477 episodes of season three, you can't fucking talk.

• 39:52Drew Afualo?

No, that's literally what they said.

• 39:53Speaker 01

  Yeah, I actually will.

• 39:54Drew Afualo?

Yeah, I actually can and I will. And I told her my ethos for shit like that is literally, yes, I can because you're not the boss of me. Like you're literally not the boss of me. I can do literally whatever I want. That's the crazy part.

• 40:05Speaker 01

Also, why are y'all back in Love Island this like, and also it's like all the men are like objectively bad.

• 40:12Speaker 01

No, you're just, you're too hard on them. No, they literally like are horrible and then continue to get worse.

• 40:17Drew Afualo?

  And also.

• 40:17Speaker 01

And then after the show like are even worse.

• 40:19Drew Afualo?

For real. And after that, it's also so. Like they're like, well, that's kind of hard. You're being mean to them. I know.

• 40:26Speaker 01

That's what, yeah. I was trying to do it. Okay, good. I was making sure like, yeah.

• 40:32Drew Afualo?

  Okay, I'm glad you.

• 40:33Speaker 01

Worry I came off too nice. I wanted to, actually, thank you for that feedback.

• 40:37Drew Afualo?

I, I literally like, when I was getting that kind of hate and then the Conrad thing happened right after that. I was like, this is fucking ridiculous. And if you bitches think I'm gonna die on a hill for a fake white boy, like, you're crazy. I don't care. It's funny because I don't give a fuck. I don't care at all. In fact, I was team, everyone go the fuck home. You're pissing me off. Everybody go home and think about what you did.

• 41:00Speaker 01

Well, I also think we're similar because it's like, I don't care, but I'm gonna, I'm gonna still give my opinion. I don't give a shit, but I'm gonna talk.

• 41:07Drew Afualo?

Whole thing. That's your whole thing, too.

• 41:09Speaker 01

And it's funny to have like, strong opinions of things you don't give a shit about. Like, I don't think about any of the things that I complain about. Like, you think I actually give a fuck? No, I just like, think it's hilarious to be like, upset, like, pretend to be pissed off.

• 41:21Drew Afualo?

Like, let's talk about it. It's fun. It's okay. We can all laugh because it's not a big deal because it, who cares?

• 41:28Speaker 01

  Who fucking cares?

• 41:29Drew Afualo?

Well, and one time, like, I was like, described, because I don't know notoriously, I don't know many celebrities, like, I. This has been a running bit for years, but like, I thought Paul Mescal.

• 41:40Speaker 01

And Pedro Pascal are the same.

• 41:41Drew Afualo?

No, no, no, no. Paul Mescal, who, who's Dylan Minette and Logan Lerman. I thought those three guys were the same guy.

• 41:48Speaker 01

  Pretty much.

• 41:49Drew Afualo?

I thought all three of those guys were Logan Lerman. So every time I would see them, I'd be like, Logan Lerman.

• 41:55Speaker 01

I would love to see them all combined, like, they bring their best physical.

• 41:58Drew Afualo?

That would, that would like, truly send me into psychosis, probably. I would enter a different state entirely.

• 42:04Speaker 01

What if I just like, gaslit you and I'm like, wait, those all are the same per- yeah, that's, hmm?

• 42:09Drew Afualo?

It's like a weird itis I have. Like, I, like, I do that a lot, like, even with, um, Daisy Ridley. Daisy Edgar Jones and the show Daisy and the Six.

• 42:22Speaker 01

Those last two, I'm like, yeah, I knew where you were going with that. That's all, like, what do you mean?

• 42:25Drew Afualo?

  I thought Daisy.

• 42:26Speaker 01

One of them's in Star Wars, one of them's a show.

• 42:31Speaker 01

  Wait, the show's playing?

• 42:32Drew Afualo?

I literally said, so is Daisy Edgar, is Daisy in the Six about Daisy Edgar Jones? And my sister goes, no. And then I go, so then Daisy, so then, and I kept going Daisy Edgar Ridley Jones. Like, that's what I was thinking in my head and I was like, oh my god.

• 42:47Speaker 01

No, that's also like we need, we can only have room for one Daisy in this industry. Like we get, we get one good Daisy, everyone else get the fuck out. Like we, y'all can battle it out, whatever.

• 42:58Drew Afualo?

It's like notorious, it's like such a weird itis I have, cause I, I'm just, even when I, I was like gonna meet Paul Mescal at the Oscars a few years ago, but it ended up not working out. But she was like, oh, he's really excited to meet you, likes TikTok. And I was like, Pedro Pascal?

• 43:10Speaker 01

That's, I have a really hard time with those two.

• 43:13Drew Afualo?

She goes, no, Paul Mescal. And I go, oh. And then I, I told my sister later, I go, who is that?

• 43:18Speaker 01

  Which one is he again?

• 43:19Drew Afualo?

Yeah. And then she like told me and I was like, oh, from 13 Reasons Why. And then she goes, no, that's Dylan Minette. And I go.

• 43:26Speaker 01

  That's Logan Lerman.

• 43:27Drew Afualo?

And I was like, so that's not Percy Jackson?

• 43:29Speaker 01

  That's Percy Jackson and also.

• 43:31Drew Afualo?

And also Percy being a wallflower. And she's like, no, those are three different entire people. And I was like, I did, like Vanderpump Rules, I thought they were a family. I thought they were a family that ran a restaurant and it was kind of like the bear. Like I thought it was like that. That's but a reality. I knew it was reality. But I literally thought I was like, oh, they're, they're just a big family.

• 43:54Speaker 01

This is genuinely how like our parents probably are where it's like they hear these like words and then they just combine them. But like we are now becoming that, yeah. Or it's like, no, Vanderpump Rules is Big Brother, which is like the bear meets chop meets, it's like, what?

• 44:10Drew Afualo?

All of it is so, it makes me feel so removed in a hundred years old.

• 44:14Speaker 01

  Yeah.

• 44:15Drew Afualo?

So like I notoriously don't know a lot of things, like, like shit like that. And so one time we did this thing where I was describing the plot of movies to her and she had to guess. But like, I don't know a lot of movies. Like, so I described Pride and Prejudice and I was so confident. I was like, okay, so like, there's this girl, it's kind of like a little women's situation. Like she's like, you know, like the older bitter sister, she's smart, blah, blah. And then there's like this rich guy and then like they, you know, like plays cat and mouse game, like hard to get. And then like at the end, he like confesses his love to her in the rain and then he dies of pneumonia, cause he's in the rain. And then she was like, um, I don't know. And then everybody was like, that is nowhere near the plot.

• 45:00Speaker 01

  Whatever plot you want, baby.

• 45:01Drew Afualo?

  Yeah, it's like, sure.

• 45:02Speaker 01

  Choose your own plot, sure.

• 45:04Drew Afualo?

Well, I don't know what movie you were describing, but it definitely wasn't.

• 45:07Speaker 01

  That's nice, sweetie.

• 45:09Drew Afualo?

And I was like, oh, so he doesn't die of pneumonia? And then they were like, he doesn't get sick at all.

• 45:14Speaker 01

  Who? Like, the guy?

• 45:16Drew Afualo?

And if I have I watched it, still no, still no.

• 45:20Speaker 01

  But you know the plot?

• 45:21Drew Afualo?

  Yes.

• 45:22Speaker 01

  You know the plot?

• 45:23Drew Afualo?

Well, because sometimes I'll just tell people like, they're like, have you seen it? I go, yeah. And in my head, I'm like, I just know like a couple things about it. And I feel like I got the gist.

• 45:34Speaker 01

Heard someone say it. So I'm like, yeah, I've seen it.

• 45:37Drew Afualo?

Yeah, like, I mean, I feel like I just have the gist.

• 45:40Speaker 01

  Yeah.

• 45:40Drew Afualo?

So I don't really need to see it. So like, when the new Gladiator movie came out, speaking of Paul Masca, I literally was like, oh, we should go see the new Gladiator. And then my dad was like, oh, have you seen the first one? Because he knows I don't watch anything. And I go, no. And then he goes, well, you have to watch the first one to understand the second one. I go, ah, I got the gist.

• 45:57Speaker 01

Yeah, no, I think I actually, yeah, well, I know enough.

• 45:59Drew Afualo?

  I'll catch up.

• 46:00Speaker 01

  He's a warrior.

• 46:01Drew Afualo?

Yeah, don't wait for me. I'll catch up.

• 46:03Speaker 01

Yeah, no, don't worry. Yeah, I got it.

• 46:04Drew Afualo?

How I feel. Like, but then my sister was trying to convince me to go see, I forget what it was. I think it was one of the new trolls movie. No, it was the new Sonic movie. She's like, you have to, let's go watch the new Sonic movie. I go, well, I haven't seen the others. How would I know?

• 46:16Speaker 01

Dude, like, what? How, like, the second one make, wouldn't make sense.

• 46:20Drew Afualo?

Yeah, and I was like, well, no, I need to study the Sonic universe.

• 46:22Speaker 01

Yeah, I don't even know Sonic.

• 46:23Drew Afualo?

Yeah, with Gladiator, I was like, nah, I got it.

• 46:27Speaker 01

Like a three and a half hour movie, it's super hard to digest, like so many characters, like, yeah, I think I get it.

• 46:35Drew Afualo?

  Yeah, I mean.

• 46:35Speaker 01

  He's a sword, he fights.

• 46:36Drew Afualo?

  Yeah, they fight.

• 46:37Speaker 01

  People.

• 46:38Drew Afualo?

  Are you not entertained?

• 46:39Speaker 01

  I don't know.

• 46:40Drew Afualo?

  I got it.

• 46:40Speaker 01

Yeah, yells a lot. Troll or Sonic is like, I don't, how would the plot, like, I want, how would I digest the plot if I haven't seen the first one?

• 46:49Drew Afualo?

The complexities of the Sonic universe. I have to understand them.

• 46:52Speaker 01

It's like a little blue ball that runs. I know, I just, I would feel more comfortable if I knew the plot going into it and I've done my research. I'm listening, I'm learning.

• 47:01Drew Afualo?

Exactly. Do you have any favorite, like, franchises, movies, TV shows? Are you a big TV show watcher?

• 47:07Speaker 01

I am, and I've been like better now. I feel like sometimes just watch such like shitty stuff that I'm like, I need to like watch something that's like, kind of like inspiring and like, oh, this is actually like good acting. Uh, which like also

• 47:21Drew Afualo?

  Cheesy shows?

• 47:22Speaker 01

This summer I turned pretty like I like I thought we all just like this show is kinda bad, but we all like like watching it.

• 47:27Drew Afualo?

  That's the best part.

• 47:28Speaker 01

But then I like found out recently, people thought that was like really good television. I was like, oh, wait, I.

• 47:33Drew Afualo?

  Okay, I thought we were.

• 47:33Speaker 01

Yeah, I thought we all kinda knew it was bad. Um, obviously obsessed with that. I watched she not her fault recently.

• 47:39Drew Afualo?

Oh, okay. I've seen I haven't watched it, but I've seen it.

• 47:41Speaker 01

  It's really good.

• 47:42Drew Afualo?

  Oh, okay, gee.

• 47:43Speaker 01

You would get the gist of it.

• 47:44Drew Afualo?

You said, yeah, you said, let me lock into some, some real stuff.

• 47:48Speaker 01

  Some real shit.

• 47:49Drew Afualo?

  Yeah.

• 47:50Speaker 01

I just feel like everyone in LA just watches so many things and it's just like.

• 47:54Drew Afualo?

  At once.

• 47:54Speaker 01

Yeah, and it's like, wait, what do we watch? Wait, someone just tell me. And there are some things that I just have the gist of. If someone asks, yeah, I've seen it.

• 48:02Drew Afualo?

  Yeah.

• 48:03Speaker 01

  Oh, yeah, I've watched it.

• 48:04Drew Afualo?

  Pretty much.

• 48:04Speaker 01

  Yeah, for the most part.

• 48:06Drew Afualo?

  Yeah.

• 48:06Speaker 01

One clip on TikTok, have heard it, overheard it in a conversation. I've seen it.

• 48:10Drew Afualo?

I watched in eighty parts on TikTok, the first ten minutes of the movie.

• 48:14Speaker 01

I like miss when I used to do that where I'd be like part forty seven of this movie. I'm like, just rent it. It's three ninety nine. Just fucking watch it. Like, why am I like going through this?

• 48:24Drew Afualo?

Oh, my God, same. I would do this. I've done that with a, I did that with Nosferatu.

• 48:29Speaker 01

That's also the most insane movie to just like watch and like follow more for a part. Go, you click, it's like what video you just watched. If like scroll down.

• 48:38Drew Afualo?

Yeah, mind you, I I bought the movie on Apple TV. I was already looking, watching it on TikTok and I said, I might as well.

• 48:45Speaker 01

  Sure.

• 48:45Drew Afualo?

  While I'm here.

• 48:46Speaker 01

While I'm here, I got legit. See, that's a movie that I don't, I haven't seen, but I would just be like, well, like, I know what it's about. Nothing like it's.

• 48:54Drew Afualo?

  Generally.

• 48:54Speaker 01

If someone's like, have you seen it? Yeah, no, yeah, no, but like, yeah, pretty much. I just know Nicolas Cage is in it and he's maybe like a vampire.

• 49:03Drew Afualo?

Nicolas Cage is not in Nosferatu.

• 49:07Speaker 01

Well, like, like, I, not technically, but like, you know where I'm like, where I'm coming from. Like, do you see what like?

• 49:14Drew Afualo?

  Yes, yes, yes, yes.

• 49:16Speaker 01

But yeah, I've seen it, so.

• 49:19Speaker 01

  He's really not in Nosferatu?

• 49:21Drew Afualo?

No, I think you're thinking of that other scary movie. It was like long legs.

• 49:25Speaker 01

No. Speaking of. My legs are so long it's scary. Something, oh my god, one of my good friends the other day was like saying stretching me out, which is in any setting, it's not ideal. But was like stretching my leg out and my other friend was like, I don't mean this in like a bad way. But Bailey, the friend stretching me.

• 49:46Drew Afualo?

  Yeah.

• 49:46Speaker 01

You look like you're a large animal doctor.

• 49:52Drew Afualo?

  Like a Great Dane.

• 49:55Speaker 01

And then I was like, oh wait, that that would make me the large animal.

• 49:59Drew Afualo?

  Oh, right, right, right.

• 50:00Speaker 01

  So I'm the large animal.

• 50:02Drew Afualo?

  Right, right.

• 50:03Speaker 01

Which obviously I took no offense to, but I brought up like every opportunity like, yeah, I'm just like a big animal. So don't mind my large animal frame sneaking past you.

• 50:14Drew Afualo?

That, like recently I did a shoot and I had to wear this top that was like really tight on my tits and my my I have huge boobs. So I was like, they were like really pushed up to my fucking neck. And I was like, dude, this top is ridiculous. Like they had me in it with jeans and a blazer and I was like, I'm saying and my my tits are like this, like a fucking bucket under my mouth.

• 50:35Speaker 01

  Like rusting your.

• 50:36Drew Afualo?

Yeah, like when mules have feet on.

• 50:40Drew Afualo?

  It's so like.

• 50:43Drew Afualo?

For real. And I was like, I was like telling my sister, like, dude, look at my my tits are up to my neck. It's insane.

• 50:49Speaker 01

  Yeah.

• 50:49Drew Afualo?

And she goes, oh, my god, I know. She goes, and I don't like they look like, and I don't mean this in a bad way. It looks like a chest plate.

• 50:58Speaker 01

Oh, but she didn't mean it in a bad way.

• 51:01Drew Afualo?

And I don't mean this in a bad way.

• 51:02Speaker 01

I love you, but it looks like a chest plate.

• 51:07Drew Afualo?

Like a giant one that drag queens wear. That's fucked up.

• 51:11Speaker 01

And it's like seconds before they're like, Art, Drew, ready for you. We're ready for you on set. You're like, do I like, what do I do about this?

• 51:18Drew Afualo?

Well, no, it's true. They were like really out to here. So it was like, I was like, all right.

• 51:23Speaker 01

  Yeah.

• 51:23Drew Afualo?

So now like, and when I showed her the pictures from that shoot, she was like, chest plate, told you. In a great way, though, in a good way.

• 51:29Speaker 01

No, no, but like in a good way, in a good way.

• 51:31Drew Afualo?

  Not derogatory.

• 51:32Speaker 01

Yeah, it's crazy because anytime anyone like has to preface anything, it's always the most offensive shit I've ever heard. And I'm like, I would honestly just rather you just like be a dick and just like, just say it straight at them. You're like, I love you and I don't mean for this to come up the wrong way. And now when someone said that, I'm like, I'm just gonna stop you there. We actually don't need to, you don't need to tell me anything.

• 51:53Drew Afualo?

Yeah, when I, when I've made jokes about my own teeth on, on like TikTok and everything, I've like said like, I don't give a fuck, like, like for real, I don't care. So that's why it doesn't bother me, but if I-

• 52:05Speaker 01

Good teeth, so I'm confused by that.

• 52:07Drew Afualo?

Yeah, well, I had braces for a long time, but I never wore my retainers after, so my bottom row is crooked because of my wisdom teeth. But I don't give a shit, clearly, I don't care. And I was like, and if I did ever wanna change them, I would do it with money I've made off men attacking me, so it works out. Reparations either way. But I was like, but I like my teeth, so I don't, I'm not bothered by it. And like, people would be like, I hope you never change your teeth. They have so much character. Hey, don't-

• 52:32Speaker 01

Hey, I'm never going for a character look.

• 52:36Drew Afualo?

  What kind of character?

• 52:37Speaker 01

  Yeah, what do you mean?

• 52:38Drew Afualo?

  A clown?

• 52:39Speaker 01

  Yeah.

• 52:39Drew Afualo?

  Yeah, I know.

• 52:40Speaker 01

Unless you're talking like a fucking bombshell, like Miss Incredible ass build character, like I don't want to look.

• 52:47Drew Afualo?

  And I bet you're not.

• 52:48Speaker 01

Like animated ever. I don't need to ever look, nothing, yeah, of my body should give off character. It should give off like sex. Sex appeal.

• 52:58Drew Afualo?

It was like, something I was telling my friend, cause like, uh, I got pitched this deal that I didn't, it didn't end up going through, but they were like, they had put me in a, like a deck, you know, they send you decks and they're like, this is our ideas. And it was me and like four other people, far more famous than me, the other people too. And like, under each thing was a description of like, who we were and like mine said, viral body positive influencer.

• 53:24Speaker 01

  Okay.

• 53:26Drew Afualo?

It's funny, it's like really funny, cause I've never once talked about my, like, used my body as any part of my platform. In fact, like, nobody saw my body for like the first year.

• 53:36Speaker 01

And now it's like, wait, and now it's in my job description. Like now it's my title.

• 53:41Drew Afualo?

Positive influencer, like, what the fuck?

• 53:46Speaker 01

Y'all are just saying shit now.

• 53:48Drew Afualo?

I would rather you just put girl.

• 53:51Speaker 01

Random girl. It's like that would be preferred.

• 53:53Drew Afualo?

Girl on TikTok. Like I'd rather that be the file. I'm like, don't put that.

• 53:57Speaker 01

TikTok girl, like that would be like music.

• 53:59Drew Afualo?

Yeah, that's just like fat. Like that's literally underneath it, that's what they're putting. I was like-

• 54:04Speaker 01

Sweats and shit. Sweaty and shitty girl, like, fine, I'll take it.

• 54:08Drew Afualo?

  Sweaty and shitty girl.

• 54:10Speaker 01

  Sure.

• 54:11Drew Afualo?

  Yeah, whatever.

• 54:12Speaker 01

  No, that's like insane.

• 54:14Drew Afualo?

I, that's why like when I get shit like that, like you're just like me, like it is genuinely very funny to me.

• 54:19Speaker 01

  Yeah.

• 54:20Drew Afualo?

Like actually very funny to me, but uh, it doesn't, it does me, make me go, alright.

• 54:26Speaker 01

No, I definitely clock it every single time, but I'm like, okay, obviously like that's funny and I don't care, but like, okay. What did you mean by that? Let's break that down.

• 54:35Drew Afualo?

  There's room for both truths.

• 54:37Speaker 01

  Right.

• 54:37Drew Afualo?

Let's hold space for both truths.

• 54:39Speaker 01

  I'm chill, you're bizarre, I guess.

• 54:42Drew Afualo?

And that's weird, and if I were to give you any advice, um, don't go around telling people that.

• 54:47Speaker 01

Yeah. You can even just ask me what I do and I'll tell you, like you don't have to just, that's so insane.

• 54:52Drew Afualo?

Do me a favor, don't go around telling people that stuff, thank you.

• 54:55Speaker 01

I don't know, I feel like, no, I just feel like we like get each other and like, but I feel like you are like a very normal, aware person. And I feel like randomly, I've been around so many not normal, aware people.

• 55:07Drew Afualo?

  Right, yeah.

• 55:08Speaker 01

  And it's so crazy.

• 55:09Drew Afualo?

  Especially in this industry.

• 55:13Speaker 01

Which is also, one is hard, cause it's like, there's some people who are like, I'm mutuals with and like sweet with, who I like think have a very dark energy.

• 55:22Drew Afualo?

  I agree.

• 55:22Speaker 01

And like are kind of bad people, but then it's like, you've seemingly only been nice to me, but I don't like, you give like, you are icking me out.

• 55:30Drew Afualo?

  Right.

• 55:31Speaker 01

  With like your intentions.

• 55:32Drew Afualo?

  Right, right, right.

• 55:33Speaker 01

But then it's like, I still have to be like, nice to you, but then I'm like, I don't want to promote you, but then I.

• 55:37Drew Afualo?

  Yeah, I agree.

• 55:37Speaker 01

And I feel like there's, and even like outside of this industry, I feel like there's so many people just like, recently, I'd be like, wait, people are fucking insane.

• 55:43Drew Afualo?

No, they are, and not normal.

• 55:45Speaker 01

  Yeah.

• 55:45Drew Afualo?

Like in any way, shape or form.

• 55:47Speaker 01

And I think, you know, the whole like, you gotta work on yourself, you can't love anyone, and I'm like, okay, I've worked on myself, y'all need to work on yourselves too. Like, I'm not just doing this.

• 55:54Drew Afualo?

Are you guys doing it at the same time as me, or did I go first?

• 55:57Speaker 01

I'm ahead, and y'all like need to be like, why are y'all fucking insane?

• 56:02Drew Afualo?

I agree. I like, I saw someone too, like recently, like speaking of that same kind of energy, um, at an event, and it was, I have met this person a couple of times already, and each time it's been very brief, so it's been like, hey, how are you, like doing well, how are you good? And then like the next time I saw this person, like recently, they were like, congrats on everything.

• 57:01Drew Afualo?

Okay, like, we don't even have to do that. Like, we don't have to do that. I was like, oh, yeah, you too, like, congrats.

• 57:06Speaker 01

  Yeah.

• 57:07Drew Afualo?

Yeah, and I, and it was funny, because they were, we were like in a photo line. And I was like, trying to make small talk, because I was like, oh, it's kind of cold out here. Oh, like, I'm just making conversation, because I don't want to have this very weird posturing conversation. Like, and it's like, it's one of those things where it's like, you don't have the best of intentions for me. You've never personally wronged me, but I can feel it. I can feel that you don't fuck with me, and I don't know what it is, but like, none of my business.

• 57:32Speaker 01

  Yeah.

• 57:32Drew Afualo?

So I was like, all right. And then I was like, oh, is this the line to like, get pictures? And she's like, yeah. Like, I think she thought I was gonna ask to cut, which I wasn't. I was like, okay, cool, I'm gonna get in this line then, girl. This is good to see you. And she goes, yeah, well, knowing you, you could probably skip the whole thing, so... What the... Girl, what the fuck are we talking about? Are we beefing?

• 57:54Speaker 01

  Yeah.

• 57:54Drew Afualo?

  Are we fighting?

• 57:55Speaker 01

It's always hard to, like, I feel like I've been way more confrontational recently. If someone's being weird, like, wait, what? But then it's also like, in, there are a lot of settings where it's like, you kind of just have to take it up the ass with a smile.

• 58:06Drew Afualo?

Yeah. Okay, what am I gonna do? Like, have it out with you? Like, I'm not gonna...

• 58:10Speaker 01

Almost start swinging on you, like, wop, daddy, it's like, taking pictures? No, like, obviously...

• 58:15Drew Afualo?

There are people that I genuinely dislike in this industry, and I've never been, like, mutuals with or anything like that. And when they do see me in person, I can tell sometimes that they like me, or they have liked me at one point, and they want to talk to me. But I make it a point to, like, not say anything. Because I was like, I don't want to talk to you, because I don't fuck with you, and I think you know that.

• 58:34Speaker 01

  Yeah.

• 58:35Drew Afualo?

Most, they're mostly men, so like, actually, I would say they're all men, but for the most part. But there are men that I know just don't fuck with me, and that's fine. They just don't bother me. Don't talk to me.

• 58:44Speaker 01

Yeah, we don't even have to do the, like, yeah, small talk.

• 58:46Drew Afualo?

Yeah, because some of the rudest people I've ever met in this industry are literally TikTokers, so like... The rudest people I've ever met in my life, TikTokers.

• 58:54Speaker 01

There are so many people who just like make you feel like small and stupid for no reason.

• 58:58Drew Afualo?

  Right.

• 58:59Speaker 01

And also like, a lot of my friends do social media and are kind of in this space and a lot of them aren't. And so I'm like, it, I always see how people like treat my friends who like aren't necessarily in the industry. And also like, when people are like bigger than me and like they treat me like nothing and then it's like, oh, now I got like a little bit more followers. It's like, oh my God, hi, so good.

• 59:19Drew Afualo?

  Yeah.

• 59:19Speaker 01

I don't, I don't ever want to fuck with you ever again, but then it's like, you have to like, be like, oh, but it's like the like, congrats.

• 59:28Speaker 01

Like fuck you. You didn't like, you actively avoided me and pretended like you didn't know who I was like, three months ago.

• 59:34Drew Afualo?

  Yeah.

• 59:35Speaker 01

And now it's like, wait, it looks like you're doing so well. Congrats. Don't even fucking talk to me. Like I don't, I hate you.

• 59:41Drew Afualo?

And I, and I know what you mean too about treating your friends who are not in the industry too, like, or people they just don't recognize, right? Like, cause I take my sister everywhere with me too. And she obviously does social media also, but like, sometimes people have been very genuinely rude to her in front of me. And I get what you mean because I can't swing on you like I want to. Um, but there's a, and like one, one girl in particular was like extra rude to my sister like two, three years ago. And then I literally was like, yeah, have a good night. And then it was like awkward. She goes, oh, yeah, yeah. And she walked away. And my sister jokes all the time. She's like, every time people are rude to me, I'm like, guess who's never coming on the comment section.

• 1:00:20Speaker 01

  Yeah. Yeah. Like immediately.

• 1:00:23Drew Afualo?

  She's working the door.

• 1:00:24Speaker 01

That's generally like how petty I am where I'm like.

• 1:00:26Drew Afualo?

  Me too.

• 1:00:27Speaker 01

I don't remember, okay. Didn't look at me at this event. Great. You're gonna be fucking begging me for a job someday. I don't care. Like, get out of my face.

• 1:00:37Drew Afualo?

  Yeah, it's like, it's.

• 1:00:38Speaker 01

  Congrats.

• 1:00:40Drew Afualo?

  Congrats.

• 1:00:41Speaker 01

  Congratulations on everything.

• 1:00:44Drew Afualo?

No, no general thing at all. Or sometimes I've had people be like, I don't know, you probably fucking hate me. I've gotten that multiple times. What? I'm like, girl, I've never met you. I don't know you.

• 1:00:56Speaker 01

Oh, my God. I've been getting confronted by people who like I've met once like in passing that maybe like friends of friends or like, and I'll be like in a big group setting where I'm like with some of my best friends and they are also there. And they'll be like, can I, hey, can I be honest with you? The second time I've ever seen him. No, no, I'm gonna stop you there. No, I don't actually even like, um, honestly, I felt like the first time I met you, like you didn't really make like an effort with me. Why the fuck would I?

• 1:01:28Speaker 01

Why the fuck? It would be like some, I got called out by a friend's friend who is in town for like one night. This man had never brought up her friend, like this girl I did. And it was like in a group setting and I was like being very nice and welcoming. And then at the end of the night, she like literally stood up and like screamed, not all of us, which was like, I will never like you.

• 1:01:48Drew Afualo?

And same with this other girl. The goal was to change my mind from a let, well, also do I think that's one of those things where people like, are projecting insecurities onto others. But also I feel like it's, it's like that saying where they say like, you think about yourself too much. Like we all think about ourselves too much. Like I can never imagine having imaginary beef with someone I've never met and or spent time with or talked to. Like even when sometimes I've met some people who were like kinda rude to me like the first time. But the next time I saw them, they were like, I'm so sorry about that. So I give people like general breathing room to like figure it out. After the second or third time, room is clear, message is clear. It's okay. Like, well, and also like I'm thirty, I don't have time for this.

• 1:02:32Speaker 01

  Right.

• 1:02:32Drew Afualo?

That's okay. You don't like me? That's okay. We'll probably never see each other. We'll never hang out. It's not a big deal. Like we'll never be close. But I just think like that whole energy of like, I don't know. I just feel like, I think you think too much about yourself because I haven't thought about you. I'd never met you before. And I don't write people off like that unless it's like a, a really, really close friend of mine and it was like you. You wronged them severely.

• 1:02:55Speaker 01

  Yeah.

• 1:02:55Drew Afualo?

And even then, if it's work shit, work shit, I'm not gonna be rude to you.

• 1:02:59Speaker 01

  Right.

• 1:03:00Drew Afualo?

I'm not gonna fuck with you either.

• 1:03:01Speaker 01

  Yeah.

• 1:03:01Drew Afualo?

There's like a, a line, I think. But I get what you mean, cause it's annoying. Like, you're like, well, I'm too old for that shit. I'm so old, bro. I like, don't have ti- I don't have time for that.

• 1:03:10Speaker 01

What do you mean, I'm putting out a fire from like this random like stray who lives in like Baton Rouge? I will never see you ever again.

• 1:03:17Drew Afualo?

  And that's okay.

• 1:03:18Speaker 01

And also they're like, can I, like, honestly, I felt like you didn't really make an effort. You don't even have to tell me this. Also, like, you can talk to me. It's not like I was like being a bitch to this girl.

• 1:03:27Drew Afualo?

Is that maybe a tall person thing? Because I get that. They're like, I just felt like you didn't make an effort. I'm like, well, efforts go both ways.

• 1:03:33Speaker 01

Right. It's like you, we like talked briefly and then like I was with my entire friend.

• 1:03:37Drew Afualo?

  And I was perfectly pleasant.

• 1:03:39Speaker 01

Yeah, I was like never, I'm like never rude to anyone unless they deserve it.

• 1:03:43Drew Afualo?

  Yeah.

• 1:03:43Speaker 01

But like this girl didn't deserve it until the end. But even then, I was like, you're being so insane that I wasn't even like, I wanna be insane back. I'm just like, okay.

• 1:03:52Drew Afualo?

No, me too. I've, I've had that where I'm like, oh, girl, I, I, like, literally, um, I talked to someone who was like, a, was kind of a friend of one of my really close friends. So like, then friend is loose between them.

• 1:04:07Speaker 01

  Yeah.

• 1:04:08Drew Afualo?

But I met this person at something and they, and immediately they tried to talk shit on my friend, to me. Which I find fucking insane.

• 1:04:15Speaker 01

  Yeah.

• 1:04:16Drew Afualo?

  Because I'm like.

• 1:04:17Speaker 01

Wait, this is how we know each other?

• 1:04:18Drew Afualo?

Right, right. Like, literally, that's our shared connection. And also, like, I just fucking met you. And I've ridden down for that other bitch. I don't know what. I don't know you, ho. And like, they, they tried to talk shit to me. I said, well, I don't know anything about that. Like, what are you nuts? And in my head, I was thinking like, yeah, you're never gonna see me again, bitch.

• 1:04:37Speaker 01

  Yeah. That's insane.

• 1:04:39Drew Afualo?

This will be the last conversation you and I ever have unless it's forced.

• 1:04:41Speaker 01

  Right.

• 1:04:42Drew Afualo?

  Which that one was.

• 1:04:43Speaker 01

At least let's like talk for like two hours and be like, oh, honestly, can I be like.

• 1:04:46Drew Afualo?

Well, feel it out. That's what I'm saying.

• 1:04:48Speaker 01

Clean up her shit, ha ha. And you're like, oh my god, yeah.

• 1:04:50Drew Afualo?

Yeah, I was thinking like, you don't ever like feel the room first.

• 1:04:54Speaker 01

  Yeah.

• 1:04:54Drew Afualo?

Like, you're never like, let me see if this person wants to spill tea with me. And then if nothing.

• 1:04:59Speaker 01

Again, like, why the fuck would I shit on my friend who like?

• 1:05:01Drew Afualo?

  To you, stranger.

• 1:05:03Speaker 01

  Nice try.

• 1:05:04Drew Afualo?

  Nice try, bitch. Anyways.

• 1:05:06Speaker 01

People are so fucking bizarre and I feel like it's been like very prevalent recently. And I'm like, I. I can't.

• 1:05:13Drew Afualo?

  People are losing it.

• 1:05:14Speaker 01

And it's again, people who I'm like, I don't want to even like waste my breath on you. And now like, I'm having like an altercation at a bar with you because I didn't like.

• 1:05:24Drew Afualo?

Because you and I were both.

• 1:05:25Speaker 01

Give you a hug when you left and I wasn't even a part of your conversation.

• 1:05:28Drew Afualo?

You and I, you and I were both at the jelly cat pop up and I just didn't say bye to you before you left.

• 1:05:32Speaker 01

Right. And now I'm like, I'm getting fucking chewed at. Like, okay.

• 1:05:37Drew Afualo?

It's too much. We're too old. Okay. I do have some fun facts about you.

• 1:05:41Speaker 01

  Okay.

• 1:05:41Drew Afualo?

Kind of close this out. Hard pivot, but I do want to share some fun fact. This one says.

• 1:05:45Speaker 01

You're sharing the fun facts about me?

• 1:05:46Drew Afualo?

Yes, to you. And then you can confirm or deny. Okay. So it says you were on your high school cross country team. Put those long legs to work. What were you running in cross country?

• 1:05:57Speaker 01

  Like last place.

• 1:06:00Speaker 01

No, it was so funny because like I have really long legs now, but I really didn't get them until like my senior year of high school, which is like, oh, at this point, I've just been fucking horrible at sports all through high school. And like, that's the only way to kind of be cool and like, especially like Midwest.

• 1:06:14Drew Afualo?

  Right.

• 1:06:14Speaker 01

High schools is like being good at sports, which luckily you think fuck, that was funny. Cause like, nothing else going for me. So, um, but yeah, I was like horrible at cross country. I would like skip every route. I would like have my sister pick me up. Like if I had to run more like three miles. Um, the camaraderie. And they had pasta dinners every single like before the meat. Yeah. And they were so good. And like all of the moms would like cook up like really good pasta and like homemade desserts. And so that was.

• 1:06:43Drew Afualo?

And that's what it was all about for you.

• 1:06:45Speaker 01

And then I would like literally be like, the day of the meat, like I'm literally gonna die. I like, I jumped down a flight of stairs one time and my sister saw me at home because I wanted to hurt myself. So I went after run. Which I'm like, the only thing that's more embarrassing than jumping out of flight of stairs to not run a high school cross country meet is jumping out of flight of stairs, your sister seeing you. And also you don't injure yourself. So you still have to run, which I was like, why didn't I just lie? Like, why did I have to go through the like, no, seriously, like I actually broke my ankle.

• 1:07:14Drew Afualo?

You could have just said, I'm sick.

• 1:07:18Speaker 01

  And so.

• 1:07:19Drew Afualo?

Yeah, you throwing yourself on the stairs, but you just jump with your feet.

• 1:07:22Speaker 01

Yeah. I just like land. I'm like, damn. God, I'm so fucking athletic.

• 1:07:28Drew Afualo?

God, those were all, that was all my excuses.

• 1:07:31Speaker 01

So like blow out my knee. Fuck.

• 1:07:35Drew Afualo?

Well, I know. I think you're crazy for doing cross country. I, well, I say that, but I literally uh did, I played soccer. That was my main, that was my main sport that I did like travel for. Which is nothing but running.

• 1:07:47Speaker 01

  Yeah.

• 1:07:48Drew Afualo?

I think I saw something, a statistic when I was playing that was like, on average, you touch the ball for like two minutes and in ninety minute games. So it's me just running.

• 1:07:56Speaker 01

Yeah, but then it's like you run like five miles. It's like, oh shit. And I did nothing to help my team. I'm like, hey, at least I ran five miles. That's not bad.

• 1:08:06Speaker 01

Soccer is so funny because it's like, obviously when you're in it, like, you're so like, I was gonna say connected to the ball. Like, okay, that was like, no, it's just like, you have the connection with the ball.

• 1:08:15Drew Afualo?

  Mind, spirit, body.

• 1:08:16Speaker 01

Yeah, it's just like, it's a full thing. But, but then it's like, at the end of the day, you're just kind of like running around, like just like trying to be available if you can help out. Yeah, sorry, here, um, you go, you go. Okay. But like now I'd be like, I'd just be like, this is like embarrassing. I'm just like.

• 1:08:31Drew Afualo?

  Oh, yeah.

• 1:08:32Speaker 01

Kind of trotting around randomly sprinting.

• 1:08:35Drew Afualo?

That's like, uh, I get what you mean though about sports being the thing because that was the thing at my high school too.

• 1:08:39Speaker 01

  Yeah.

• 1:08:40Drew Afualo?

It was like, uh, cool, cool kids played sports.

• 1:08:43Speaker 01

  Yeah.

• 1:08:43Drew Afualo?

And shit like that. So that's what I did. I played volleyball, soccer, and then in high school. And then what else? Oh, I did shot put and throwing.

• 1:08:50Speaker 01

  Oh, my God.

• 1:08:51Drew Afualo?

  For track.

• 1:08:52Speaker 01

  That's so fun.

• 1:08:52Drew Afualo?

Solely because my mom said you have to join another sport for spring. Like my mom always wanted us in a sport. And so I, she was like, I was like, well, there's only like fucking track. And she's like, okay, but I didn't want to run because that's all I fucking do in my other sport. So I was like, what am I gonna do? And my sister, I was like, guess I'll throw. And then me and my sister were on the same team, like her senior of high school. And shockingly enough, so was my now fiance. He was also on our team.

• 1:09:15Speaker 01

  Oh, my God.

• 1:09:16Drew Afualo?

Their, their senior year of high school, my junior year. So we were all on varsity shot put and discus together. It was like us and like his best friend at the time and one of our best friends at the time and like. Other kids that we like all knew and we all played sports and we all threw together in high school and like it was the most bullshit ass sport for me like I literally was there for like to workshop bits and to hang out with my girls like that was like

• 1:09:41Speaker 01

  perfecting my bits.

• 1:09:42Drew Afualo?

Yeah, like running game on my bits, like just going over them. And I remember like my our head coach, he used to be like, okay, enough because me and my sister were always like laughing and telling jokes and like entertaining. And I remember one time he would like separate varsity and JV and we were both on varsity and he was like separating, he goes, not you two, separate. And I was like, wow, that's fucked up dude. And he's like, no, I'm separating the giggle twins. And we were like, oh, well, that's hilarious.

• 1:10:13Speaker 01

No, but now it's not gonna be fun. No, I'm gonna be bored.

• 1:10:15Drew Afualo?

No, and then I literally was like, okay. And then I went over there and then I just eventually just walked, like slowly made my way back.

• 1:10:23Speaker 01

I'm gonna get you ready to throw, just like walk all the way back to Davey put it down. You're like, what's up bitch? Hey. I also think like my high school cross country coach was like so like you have to give a hundred fifty. Why can't I fuck around?

• 1:10:41Speaker 01

I literally was so horribly behaved that I had like a senior like assigned to me to be my stretching partner. Cause when I would be with my friends, we would just, yeah, would be fucking around. So this like, and it's of course, it's like the fucking like weird senior who like is trying super hard. And so he would stretch me out, which obviously I'm like, this is so fucking funny. Like my friends next to me like cracking up. And I'm like this random ass man like

• 1:11:03Drew Afualo?

He's like, I've been assigned to you.

• 1:11:04Speaker 01

Yeah, he's like, stop joking around. Um, but I'm like, why the fuck did my coach like assign me a shepherd? A shepherd? Like, I just want to fuck around and that wasn't an option. And it wasn't even good. So I'm like, just let me be like, man, I'm never going to be varsity. That's fine. I don't give a shit. I'm here for the pasta dinners and camaraderie.

• 1:11:26Drew Afualo?

  And the jersey.

• 1:11:27Speaker 01

Yeah, and the jersey. Sorry. A few cute pictures of my jersey and then I'll bounce. But I'm here for friendship. Like I don't.

• 1:11:34Drew Afualo?

Yeah, the fellowship of it all.

• 1:11:36Speaker 01

Right. I don't need to get in good shape. I don't need to like run at the state meet. I don't want to run at the state meet. I don't even want to run at the meets that I have to run at. Why the fuck would I want to do that?

• 1:11:46Drew Afualo?

I I get what you mean, but like, that's how we felt their senior year, like, and my junior on track. Because even my man, like, he was a, he was genuinely Mr. Popular in high school. Like, everybody loved that bitch. And like, he played football and then did track that one time with us. And like, we would fuck around together a lot, like, just joking and laughing. But we also had like, that was when group chats first became a thing, like, on iPhones. I'm like, a million years old. This is a running bit in my family that we had no way of knowing that he was gonna marry into my family eventually. But we, our coach, again, takes it too seriously. And then there were like, two kids that took it way too seriously. The rest of us were just there for a good time.

• 1:12:28Speaker 01

  Right.

• 1:12:28Drew Afualo?

Not a long time. So he would always be like, he would, he said some shit like, oh, you guys better be at the banquet. Which the banquet was optional. We didn't have to go to it. And we didn't even do anything. We're like, this is not-

• 1:12:40Speaker 01

What are we celebrating? We just dicked around all year.

• 1:12:43Drew Afualo?

Yeah, I was like, if anything, it's, I know my, I know I wasn't for real.

• 1:12:46Speaker 01

  Yeah.

• 1:12:46Drew Afualo?

I know I wasn't for real, and I don't need to go to the banquet.

• 1:12:48Speaker 01

I don't need to put on a dress for it and like, show up to the high school cafeteria to get recognized for nothing.

• 1:12:54Drew Afualo?

Sit at a folding table in the gym. I don't need to do that.

• 1:12:57Speaker 01

  A lemonade and a-

• 1:12:58Drew Afualo?

  A fruit punch.

• 1:13:01Drew Afualo?

And we were like, yeah, like, it, we're not gonna go to that. So we didn't go. And I also was playing soccer at the time too, so I also had practice and shit to go to. And he had texts in a group chat and was like, he had said, well, actually, right before the meet, he was like, really, really looking forward to seeing all of you there. Cause we had all said, we're not going.

• 1:13:22Speaker 01

  Yeah.

• 1:13:23Drew Afualo?

Because we have other things to do. And they were all graduating too, so like, they extra don't give a shit.

• 1:13:27Speaker 01

  Right.

• 1:13:28Drew Afualo?

And he was like, uh, make sure you guys are at the banquet, blah, blah, blah. And then my man texts in this chat and said, won't catch me there. That's all he, but won't catch me there. LOL. Right? And then he like-

• 1:13:41Speaker 01

You're like, something about this man?

• 1:13:43Drew Afualo?

Yeah. No, I remember seeing it. I'd be like, dumbass, like, our coach is in this chat. And then he texts me and my sister right after that and goes, my bad, I did not know Coach Tucker was in that chat. But again, I won't be there.

• 1:13:56Speaker 01

Yeah, it's like just double that. Do not expect to see me there.

• 1:13:59Drew Afualo?

So like most often times we're like, won't catch me there. Anytime I see, even now, like when I see something, they're like, do you want to go to this? Won't catch me there. Okay, we'll get to some more fun facts. Okay, it says you used to work as a member service services associate at a fitness center.

• 1:14:15Speaker 01

Did you guys go on my LinkedIn? Yeah.

• 1:14:19Drew Afualo?

  And how was that?

• 1:14:20Speaker 01

Well, obviously, like that job title is like not real. It was like I worked at the front desk. Well, I did that.

• 1:14:27Drew Afualo?

  Members servers associates? Services associates.

• 1:14:30Speaker 01

I'm just like using like buzzwords. Associate, um, yeah, I, well, I worked at Barry's out in LA. But then I also worked at a gym in high school, but Barry's out here was like fucking insane.

• 1:14:41Drew Afualo?

  I bet.

• 1:14:41Speaker 01

And it was like everyone out here is just like,

• 1:14:45Speaker 01

if, like I hated my body before, you then go work at a Barry's Bootcamp in West Hollywood. Wow. Wow. I'm also like, how is everyone here like somehow more ripped than the next person?

• 1:14:56Drew Afualo?

  Each person that comes.

• 1:14:57Speaker 01

Yeah, I'm like, wait, how are, you are the most ripped person I've ever seen. And then it's like, oh, I'm checking in. I was like, okay, now it's gonna, you. But yeah, it was like fucking crazy and insane.

• 1:15:07Drew Afualo?

But you just worked the desk? Did you ever train or anything?

• 1:15:09Speaker 01

  No.

• 1:15:10Drew Afualo?

  No.

• 1:15:10Speaker 01

But like, it was just like a perfect job to fuck around at. And it was during COVID too. And then it's like the COVID restrictions just made our job so easy.

• 1:15:19Drew Afualo?

  Oh, nice.

• 1:15:20Speaker 01

And then it's like, oh, now we're getting more lax. And it's like, okay, now you have to actually like work more and we're still gonna pay you this. And I was like, well.

• 1:15:26Drew Afualo?

  Well.

• 1:15:27Speaker 01

No, guys, like I think like COVID's still such a thing. And it's like, just keep the outdoor one. We don't need to move inside and open a new studio.

• 1:15:34Drew Afualo?

  No, for real.

• 1:15:35Speaker 01

But yeah, I was, it was definitely a time of my life.

• 1:15:38Drew Afualo?

  That you're glad it's over.

• 1:15:39Speaker 01

Yeah. But it was like a thing, you know, like those memories we look back on jobs like, yeah, in the grand scheme of things, like it was like an entertaining and fun job.

• 1:15:47Drew Afualo?

  Yeah, yeah.

• 1:15:48Speaker 01

And I bet my best friend through it.

• 1:15:50Drew Afualo?

  Oh, nice.

• 1:15:51Speaker 01

  Yeah.

• 1:15:51Drew Afualo?

  So some wins.

• 1:15:52Speaker 01

  Some wins.

• 1:15:53Drew Afualo?

  That's good.

• 1:15:53Speaker 01

  But yeah.

• 1:15:54Drew Afualo?

  Not just trauma.

• 1:15:57Drew Afualo?

It says, your mom is a flight attendant and once took you to Paris for 24 hours? And how was that?

• 1:16:04Speaker 01

It was so great. It's so fun. Like, I've only been on a couple of her flights, but she like, they have so many things in the back that they can give you for like special treatment, which I'm like, y'all have just been like sitting on ice cream, like hot fudge sundae, you could just be handing out like, I'm like a sweet little princess every single flight, getting jack shit, like fuck your Biscoffs. Now, I know, I know you'll have ice cream sandwiches in the back.

• 1:16:27Drew Afualo?

  Right.

• 1:16:27Speaker 01

Um, but yeah, it was so fun. My mom's like the sweetest lady ever and like everyone loves her. So all the flight attendants, I like felt like a celebrity. They're like, oh my gosh, we've heard so much about you, which was like horrible, but um, yeah, it was.

• 1:16:41Drew Afualo?

  But great for your ego.

• 1:16:42Speaker 01

  Yeah.

• 1:16:42Drew Afualo?

  Needed that.

• 1:16:43Speaker 01

But I used to fly free until I turned 24. Um, so I just like my mom sometimes be like, I'm going to this place for three days if you want to come.

• 1:16:52Drew Afualo?

  Fun.

• 1:16:53Speaker 01

But that one was 24 hours.

• 1:16:54Drew Afualo?

She a long time flight attendant?

• 1:16:55Speaker 01

  Mm hmm.

• 1:16:55Drew Afualo?

Oh, cool. I just thought of, I just thought of the video you had posted of your parents watching the storm coming.

• 1:17:01Speaker 01

Oh, my god. My parents are like, it's so crazy when you see it's like, oh my god, my parents are such like parents.

• 1:17:08Drew Afualo?

  Yes.

• 1:17:09Speaker 01

Where it's like, guys, first of all, it's just fucking raining outside. Like, how have we had, how's every conversation we've had today? It'll be like 4pm. It's sort of, how is it about the rain? Like, how, how much can you say about the rain before it's just like, it's fucking raining?

• 1:17:23Drew Afualo?

It's so funny. It makes me laugh so hard when parents are act so parenty.

• 1:17:29Speaker 01

  Yeah.

• 1:17:29Drew Afualo?

Like, it's just, it's the funniest thing in the world to me. Like, my dad was, uh, my mom was telling me this story that my dad was relaying to her. But she started it off with, do you know what this means? Right? And then I go, do you mean like this? Like when you hold it down like on your leg or something? She goes, oh, yes, yes, yes. And I go, yeah, why? I guess my next question would be, why do you need to know what that means? She's like, oh, well, I didn't know what it, what it meant, but your dad was explaining it to me. And he was, my dad was basically trying to.

• 1:18:00Speaker 01

Where did he hear? It's also like, this was a thing like eight years ago. They were like, have you heard of this?

• 1:18:06Drew Afualo?

  Yeah.

• 1:18:06Speaker 01

And then, are you talking about the thing that happened like 12 years ago? They're like, have you heard of planking?

• 1:18:12Speaker 01

Yeah, what? How is that just hitting your desk?

• 1:18:14Drew Afualo?

The Black Beatles challenge. Have you heard of that?

• 1:18:18Speaker 01

Let's do the mannequin challenge at Christmas.

• 1:18:21Drew Afualo?

And she literally was like, oh, well, your dad was telling me because he goes, he, my dad said, do you know what? But they kept going like this, like, a, okay, you know, like, do you know what this means? My dad was like, yeah, because my man does this a lot in pictures to be annoying and stupid. And so like him and his brother have played that game for fucking ever. And so he goes, well, I think Billy made it up. I'm pretty certain he made it up because I've only ever seen him do it.

• 1:18:46Speaker 01

  Right.

• 1:18:47Drew Afualo?

And my mom tells me that I go, that's not fucking true. He did not make that up. And when I told my, my man, he goes, what harm does it? Just let your dad make that up.

• 1:18:56Speaker 01

  That I created that.

• 1:18:57Drew Afualo?

He's like, let your dad think I made it. He goes, you know what? Next time I see your dad, I'm going to tell him I did make that up. She doesn't want to give me credit for it.

• 1:19:03Speaker 01

It is funny, like when you do one thing around like a parent and it's like, oh, you created that. And I'm like, no, that's like been trending for eight years and no one has done it like, like. Yeah, we created it.

• 1:19:16Drew Afualo?

It's like when they watch a movie, something on your phone, you're like, look how funny this is. And they're like, who is that?

• 1:19:21Speaker 01

  It's like, I don't.

• 1:19:22Drew Afualo?

Who is that? Is that your friend?

• 1:19:24Speaker 01

It's so funny, but like our parents are now like how I assume I was to them where it's like, watch me do this. Did you know this? And now it's like, I don't fuck it. I don't know who that is, mom. I don't know. Okay, now I'm the one he's like.

• 1:19:37Drew Afualo?

But why do they do that?

• 1:19:38Speaker 01

  So this.

• 1:19:41Speaker 01

  It's a fucking, I don't know. What is six, seven? I don't know, mom.

• 1:19:44Drew Afualo?

I don't, that one is pissing me off.

• 1:19:46Speaker 01

  I can't.

• 1:19:46Drew Afualo?

And that's making me feel like my parents.

• 1:19:48Speaker 01

  Yeah.

• 1:19:48Drew Afualo?

Honestly, I, I was explaining edits to my dad. I don't even know like to my, I was like, you know, it's like one of those ones you like push up your, they push up their sleeves. And then they like, and it like slow mows it. And then it's like a sexy song in the background. And my dad goes, pushing up sleeves? And I go, just forget it. I can't, I don't have the time.

• 1:20:12Speaker 01

Everything is like, no, I mean, like physically pushing up. He's like, what is pushing up sleeves?

• 1:20:17Drew Afualo?

He's like, so, and, and women find that attractive?

• 1:20:19Speaker 01

Do that? Push up sleeve is like, no, I'm literally physically talking about moving your, okay. And slow mo, I'm like, it's, forget it.

• 1:20:26Drew Afualo?

And I was, I was. Literally trying to explain the concept of like ghosts from Call of Duty cosplay like edits like of of the cartoon. So I was telling him it's the cartoon because I was trying to explain I was trying to use that to explain the avatar. The Jake Sully edits.

• 1:20:46Drew Afualo?

And my dad's like, but he's a cartoon. Okay, like I was like, okay, so here's the thing about that. Um, and I'm like trying to explain all that solely just to get a joke off.

• 1:20:57Drew Afualo?

Just trying to get a joke.

• 1:20:58Speaker 01

We've been talking about this for like two hours now and I haven't even been able to say my punchline that I like thought of like just forget it.

• 1:21:04Drew Afualo?

This juice was not worth the squeeze.

• 1:21:07Speaker 01

You don't even get to do the joke because it's like it took us forty five minutes for you to even get to like the intro part for me to start like getting to the joke like.

• 1:21:15Drew Afualo?

And now I'm irritated and I don't want to tell the joke.

• 1:21:18Speaker 01

It's like fuck it, forget it. Dad, just stop.

• 1:21:22Drew Afualo?

Just forget it. Just know that if you didn't need me to explain that, it would have been.

• 1:21:26Speaker 01

Like that would have been that would have done really well. Yeah, people would have fucking loved that shit and you ruined that. So thanks, Dad. But yeah, no, it is like getting frustrating to like it's like sometimes like this isn't even worth explaining. Like you just don't get it.

• 1:21:43Drew Afualo?

My sister, we call, because my sister's the oldest, we call her like IT for the family. So like anytime my parents don't remember passwords, don't remember emails, don't remember like my mom will be like, what was the email I used to sign up? For my Home Goods Rewards? And then I'll be like, girl, I don't know.

• 1:22:03Drew Afualo?

And then my sister goes, you use this one. And she goes, right, right. Or sometimes she'll be on the phone with me. She'll be like, well, I have to call your sister because she knows which ones I use. Like what passwords I used for my Panera points. Like she she knows what password I use.

• 1:22:18Speaker 01

I was like, how many passwords? Like, I feel like I have like three and I'm like, if it's not one, it's the other. And if it's not that, it's the last one. It's like, which one? No, like I I had to stop telling my mom she could like I was like, you can't keep texting me asking me for your Apple ID. I've never once had it. I don't know what your password is. I don't know any of your shit. I actually am just worried about my own passwords randomly like how do you not and she has like a book of all of it and she's like lost the book I'm like you're shit out of luck dude I don't know what to tell you like I randomly don't remember your password from two thousand eleven I don't know why that's my like that's on me now

• 1:22:55Drew Afualo?

Right I literally that's also my parents ordering stuff on DoorDash too

• 1:23:00Speaker 01

My parents haven't gotten there yet

• 1:23:02Drew Afualo?

No so no like they know how to do it because when I'm not there they know how to do it

• 1:23:06Speaker 01

  Yeah

• 1:23:07Drew Afualo?

But then when my sister's there I'm like you do it

• 1:23:12Drew Afualo?

She goes and she my mom will literally be like what did I order from that place and my sister goes the same thing you get every time This is like literally the same thing

• 1:23:20Speaker 01

And like you pulled up it's like the one you ordered last time is like it literally says like order again and it's like right there like what was the

• 1:23:27Drew Afualo?

Yeah she's like oh well it's just like easier when you do it

• 1:23:32Drew Afualo?

I'm like oh the curse of being the oldest

• 1:23:34Speaker 01

It's always like what was the like why do you think I'm ever remembering your shit like why would I know what you ordered from your Kava order from two thousand nineteen Why the fuck would I know that do you think I wrote that down to get like plug that information in somewhere

• 1:23:50Drew Afualo?

  Just in case she

• 1:23:50Speaker 01

Yeah it's like okay um fuck you got the tzatziki it was tzatziki the harissa and The regular hummus I think yes yes

• 1:24:00Drew Afualo?

  Pickled radish on the side

• 1:24:01Speaker 01

Yes yes yes green tea as well medium so

• 1:24:05Drew Afualo?

My favorite thing my parents do is like when when they ask and then we're like oh you got this and then they go no I didn't okay well then I guess we circle back to why'd you ask

• 1:24:16Speaker 01

Yeah and it's like oh so you did by the way you're always right it's like okay well I don't know why like

• 1:24:22Drew Afualo?

My mom does this funny ass thing because we all have aura rings and I like got them I initially got one for my man because he loves to track that stuff and like I got one for myself to track my health concerns because I'm a hypochondriac so I like to track whatever the fuck and get better sleep whatever And one time my mom was like, what's your guys' like, they have like a cardiovascular age. Like this is what how old you are cardiovascularily. Whatever the fuck that means. And she was like, asking around, I think hers was like fucking twenty one or something. Mine, mine was like twenty five. My sister's was the same as mine. And she was like, mine's twenty one. And I go, did you literally ask so that you could, because you knew mine was older than yours?

• 1:25:06Drew Afualo?

And then she goes, no. And I was like, girl.

• 1:25:10Speaker 01

It's always the person who like starts the question where it's like then they're like, oh, well, mine's the best.

• 1:25:15Drew Afualo?

Yeah. Did anyone else do this?

• 1:25:18Speaker 01

Wait, am I the, so I'm the only one who's twenty one? So wait, I, mine, my heart is technically the youngest. No, I'm, I'm not trying to be like, I'm just like, just curious. I'm, okay.

• 1:25:27Drew Afualo?

  That's just really interesting.

• 1:25:28Speaker 01

Yeah, no, I'm just, it's shocking.

• 1:25:30Drew Afualo?

I just think that's really interesting. Back to here, when you were saying about the guy who's just like the worst, like your bit about that. There's like, and I told you, it reminds me of that chip bag. Like, can't take this crazy girl anywhere. We have this running bit with my cousin Adam where we like, we go, oh, my God, stop. Were you recording me? Wait, tag me. Wait, no, wait, no, don't tag me. Don't tag, wait, tag me.

• 1:25:51Speaker 01

  No, oh my God.

• 1:25:52Drew Afualo?

Okay, wait, send it to me.

• 1:25:54Speaker 01

I do that with like, oh, my God, wait, you should put that on your story. Oh, my God. Wait, ah, are you posting that? Wait, tag me. Oh, my God. Wait, you should record that.

• 1:26:04Drew Afualo?

  This is crazy.

• 1:26:05Speaker 01

Oh, my God. Take a video. Oh, yeah, post, are you posted? Have you posted it? Did you, did you tag me? Tag, tag me.

• 1:26:13Drew Afualo?

  We're like, wait, tag me.

• 1:26:14Speaker 01

  Tag me.

• 1:26:15Drew Afualo?

  Okay, send it to me.

• 1:26:16Speaker 01

Is it up? Is it live? It is. Okay. Oh, my God, it's so funny.

• 1:26:20Drew Afualo?

Put that on your Instagram story.

• 1:26:21Speaker 01

  Oh, my God, tag me.

• 1:26:24Speaker 01

  Like.

• 1:26:25Drew Afualo?

Being annoying is the funnest job in the world. I'm glad, I'm glad we both get to do it.

• 1:26:28Speaker 01

Yeah, but I'm glad we do it both in taste because we're not the like, actually like, like that person who's annoying is like actually like, tag me. Oh, my God, wait, look at me. Oh, my God. It's like.

• 1:26:42Drew Afualo?

Something similar that we do to that is when we go, if someone goes, oh, and can you just get that for me while you're there? Like, if someone just says that, we go, oh, my God, can I?

• 1:26:50Speaker 01

  Can I?

• 1:26:51Drew Afualo?

  Wait, can I?

• 1:26:52Speaker 01

Wait, I get to, oh my god.

• 1:26:53Drew Afualo?

  Wait, are you asking me?

• 1:26:56Speaker 01

I can get that? I can stop off at a different location and get that for you?

• 1:27:02Drew Afualo?

  Oh my god.

• 1:27:03Speaker 01

How did I get so lucky to run an inn for you?

• 1:27:05Drew Afualo?

I'm the luckiest girl in the world.

• 1:27:06Speaker 01

Richest girl in the world, not by money, but by the fact that I had this opportunity to stop at Sephora and pick the, yeah.

• 1:27:14Drew Afualo?

I know you're friends with Tristan and all them too. The funniest people.

• 1:27:18Speaker 01

  They like are fucking insane.

• 1:27:19Drew Afualo?

  Tristan kills me.

• 1:27:21Speaker 01

He's like, I've never met anyone like him. Him and Channing like together. They also like, I feel like for a long time I like didn't know them like on a deeper level. So I'm like, you guys are fucking insane. But I'm also like, oh wait, they're actually like really good people and good friends too, which is awesome. But yeah, they are like, I've never met anyone who's like quicker on their feet. Everything they say, all the bits, all of the characters.

• 1:27:46Drew Afualo?

When we were at Brittany's Royal Court party, I, I was like telling Tristan, uh, me and my sister have a bit from Tristan specifically at the Barbie premiere. When we were there together with Brittany, because I think Brittany took Tristan. And like when we, or no, actually Tristan went on his own. So when we were there, we were at the bar and it was so crowded and Tristan got his drinks and it took forever. And then we got them and she was like, do they have napkins? And he immediately goes, I'm actually not working right now, so I actually can't help you with that.

• 1:28:11Speaker 01

  So actually don't work here.

• 1:28:12Drew Afualo?

Yeah, I actually, I actually just clocked out. So you're gonna have to take care of that babe.

• 1:28:16Speaker 01

They're like so fucking, all of their mannerisms too, like they do this, hello. And will be like passing someone on the, hello. And then also another one they do, which this one like, it kinda sounds like you're a client, but it's like, it's the big, okay. Like when someone's, okay. And just like all of them, like I unfortunately pick up immediately.

• 1:28:38Drew Afualo?

Have absorbed, yeah. But that's like me, Brittany and Caleb, like the isms that we've absorbed.

• 1:28:43Speaker 01

I need to like sit and watch the three of you guys and just study you.

• 1:28:48Speaker 01

  I don't know what I would say.

• 1:28:49Drew Afualo?

  Like Jane Goodall.

• 1:28:50Speaker 01

If you guys all have like the like brains.

• 1:28:53Drew Afualo?

  Yeah, all connected.

• 1:28:55Speaker 01

It's like we've never seen like brains do this thing. It's just like lighting up in ways that we've never seen before.

• 1:29:01Drew Afualo?

  Exactly.

• 1:29:01Speaker 01

But when the three of y'all come together, it's just truly powerful.

• 1:29:03Drew Afualo?

Oh, my God. Thank you. I appreciate that. And thank you so much for coming on the show.

• 1:29:07Speaker 01

• 1:29:10Drew Afualo?

All star. It's all star, not superstar.

• 1:29:13Speaker 01

Hey, I think we should do a thing in the new studio. Where you put the all stars starting out, just like on the wall.

• 1:29:20Drew Afualo?

  No retroactive, just starting now.

• 1:29:22Speaker 01

And don't take a picture of me right now because I might sigh. So I'll send in gorgeous headshot. Completely face tuned.

• 1:29:27Drew Afualo?

  My IMDb headshot.

• 1:29:28Speaker 01

Completely face tuned as well, airbrushed. Um, yeah.

• 1:29:32Drew Afualo?

  Perfect.

• 1:29:33Speaker 01

And if you want to send that out to casting directors.

• 1:29:35Drew Afualo?

  Yeah, yeah.

• 1:29:35Speaker 01

Just put that out wherever you need it. Oh, my God. What if you post that on your story? Oh, my God. Wait, don't take a picture of me and post on your story right now.

• 1:29:43Drew Afualo?

  Okay, wait.

• 1:29:44Speaker 01
